Bodies of Water
Lac de la Cavayère is a picturesque lake just a short drive or bus ride from the city. The area offers 40 hectares of water and pine woodland, with three small beaches, walking paths, and various activities for visitors. From pedalos and mini-golf to an inflatable playground on the lake, there are plenty of options for families. Motorized boats are not allowed, creating a peaceful atmosphere for gentle walks in the forested hills and family picnics.
My favorite place! Safe for kids to swim, choice of sand of stone beach. Water slides, tree climbing, paddle board, zip line , restaurant, stunning walks ...my second home 🥰
Leona S — Google review
The lake is beautiful, though many activities had finished at the end of August before our visit. At high season there's the lake walk, paddle boarding, water skiing with jumps, zip wire, floating inflatable water slide. There's a public loo (no paper or soap! Take your own!) The cafe at the water ski Jerry was nice and did ice cream, soft drinks, snacks, drinks, wine & beer as well as full meals etc and was beautifully situated and the staff were nice. We walked from Carcassonne - brisk 90 mins route via Carcassonne tourist board app - and would have liked to take the bus back. The regional bus app encouraged us to buy tickets on the app - these were not valid on the bus, the driver could not accept cards and I did not have €2.40 in change, so we had to walk back. The driver wasn't really very nice about it either and didn't really try to communicate with me about a resolution or even explain the problem properly, so I would like to see clearer information on the bus company app to avoid in future. I'm sure many tourists would like to know this! You also need to stand on the opposite side of the road to the bus stop, which isn't made clear either.
Niki S — Google review
Nice walking area. Has zip wire and inflatable slides etc. Toilet facilities had been vandalised when we visited.
David N — Google review
Got ready and prepared and turned up only to find out that the entire lake (apart from the water park somehow) is off limits for swimming, with barriers preventing access to the water. Was told by someone it’s toxic. Of course, none of this was mentioned on the Carcassonne tourism board, which lists the lake as something to do and somewhere to swim. Wouldn’t want to scare off the tourists now, would we? Would give a 0/5 if possible. Shamefully deceptive tourist board frankly.
Calguiri — Google review
Beautiful lake in nature ruined by building a horrible water park blasting out music and noise. Visitors to the lake are only allowed to swim in a small area which gets busy and crowded. Disappointing.
Tamsen F — Google review
Fantastic place to spend the day
DIY D — Google review
It is a sand beach in a lake, therefore the water is sweet. We did not go for the water attractions, there are few of them, neither the restaurant. Just staying in the beach was good enough. There are public toilets you can use and they are fairly clean
Marcos P — Google review
Well worth a visit. We went on a hot day in early August. We got there early (like 9:30ish) and it did start to get a bit busier, but not rammed. But the beach is really nice and clean, the lake water was lovely. There's the big inflatable thing there, but we didn't go on that (but it was fun watching people using it), there are kayaks and pedalos to rent too, and a food and drink van (I think that opened at 10) Really nice morning out on a hot day, and free! A fun place and only a short drive from Carcassone. Plenty of parking.

Historical place
Château Comtal is a large 12th-century hilltop castle located in the medieval walled city of Carcassonne. It was the seat of the Trencavel family, Viscounts of Carcassonne, before being annexed by France in the 13th century. The castle now houses a museum where visitors can delve into the city's fascinating history.
It’s worth taking the tour of the chateaux and the walls - so rare to be able to get to see such a a structure fully intact. Be prepared because the walk around the walls is probably an hour in length and it’s quite a bit of climbing.
Cat C — Google review
Absolutely superb castle and linked walk around the ramparts of the medieval city. Worth paying a little extra for the headphones to give more details than the info boards which are in French, English and Spanish. There is a kiosk and toilets in the courtyard so we took a break halfway round after the various levels of the Castle but before the walls.
Paul ( — Google review
Visiting here was an experience with zero regrets, entering the city immerses you in a medieval setting. Came here during the 25th anniversary of the Carcassonne board game for a weekend and had the best time. Highly recommend visiting the city and exploring it for yourself, don’t forget to try cassoulet!
Shukh — Google review
This is the most extraordinary medieval world city. It has a UNESCO world heritage listing and has been restored to a very high level of quality. Your €13 entry fee gives you access into the Palace and also the ramparts. The construction of this protective wall and the buildings with in it is astounding. The walk on the ramp parts takes about an hour, and there are quite a few steps up and down to get to experience levels. There are also a few levels in the palace, but there are plenty of rest stops along the way. Be sure and have your camera and take your time as there is so many beautiful pictures to be had of the ancient city, but also Carcassonne and the surrounding countryside. On a beautiful day, the views are astonishing. This is a highly recommended to her to take. There are also audio guides and you can also get your own tour guide but wander around by yourself is wonderful.

New and improved features: 👉I highly recommend the new automated headset 4€, with lots of historical facts... remember to take your ID or driving licence as a security deposit. 👉You can walk 3km along the finished ramparts... the views are stunning. 👉Braille information 👉Kids Room with books & activities 👉Illuminated model of the city 👉Monitors with information 👉Refreshments in the courtyard Our students and our guests enjoy the Château Comptal with the history of the Cathars. Don't forget to visit the Cathedral and go and find the Medieval Trades & Crafts!

Wow! Takes your breath away just wandering around the place trying to imagine it several hundred years ago. It's spectacular, really. I'd have it on par with Windsor Castle in my list of top Castles to visit.
Clive L — Google review
Go early for less crowds and heat. Can explore on your own and don’t need to purchase the tickets. Once on the grounds there are a number of shops and restaurant options for lunch.

Fantastic. Loved visiting and wish we had more time. If you are in the area be sure to visit. Great history and also many places within the walls to eat and drink

Bridge
Sights & Landmarks
Pont Vieux, also known as the Old Bridge, is a historic 210-meter-long structure dating back to 1359. It replaced an older feudal bridge and served as the sole connection between two parts of the city for centuries. Now strictly for pedestrians, it is considered one of the most romantic spots in Carcassonne. The bridge offers breathtaking views of landmarks such as the Barbie Palace and Sainte-Cecile Cathedral.
One of the best old bridges I’ve ever been on or seen. Amazing views from the bridge over the canal. Even better to view the bridge from the newer bridge a few meters away. Classic looking bridge.
Leaburn — Google review
A beautiful 14th-century structure, reserved for pedestrians, which spans the River Aude to bring walkers to the foot of the medieval city, in Rue Trivalle. It is a wonderful observation post on the city and the surrounding mountains, the Pic de Nore on one side, the Pyrenean foothills on the other. You can picnic on the lawns of the garden dedicated to Pierre and Maria Sire, two authors from Aude, and take the children to have fun in the fenced playground.
Enjoy L — Google review
Great place to see the whole castle! Also nice area for a short walk.
Alzbeta P — Google review
A stunning introduction to the medieval city is this bridge from the 14th century. Up until n the 19th century, it was the only access from the Bastide, these days pedestrian bridge giving a scenic entrance to the Medieval City.

The Canal du Midi is a 240-kilometer waterway that stretches from Toulouse to the Etang de Thau, featuring 63 locks and 350 engineering structures. Travelers can enjoy tranquil journeys by cycling along the old towpaths or leisurely cruising on a barge, taking in the picturesque French landscapes of lush fields and charming villages.
Great route for cycling, Bordeaux to Narbonne ( jumps about a bit in places but not difficult to get back on track). Shady for much of the route and flat throughout, taking in beautiful towns and countryside.
Gavin M — Google review
Canal Du Midi from Toulouse to Narbonne. By bike September 2019 This is a great experience and very physical intensive.but a lot of joy and a good way to strengthen your body. The first step from Toulouse to Castelnaudary it's quiet relaxed and the path on the side of Canal du Midi make it easy to get along. But you always hear the high way where the cars making there own sound but still you feel happy peddling along the old Allees beside the water. The following route to Carcassonne needed more Intension for the path it was paved with little stones, occasionally some roots and wholes make it difficult to bike fast. The third part till Narbonne was even more difficult and because of some tree disease they had to cut almost all the old trees and planted new once but this couldn't give you an enjoyable feeling. The good part was that the high way was to fare away to hear. Nevertheless the people you meet on the Canal Du Midi in Bike, Hiking or on a Boot are always very friendly and all in all take as much time you can to be able to explore the villages on the Canal try the good food and the great wine they produce in the area and look out that you have always enough water with you.
Friedbert R — Google review
The quiet tree shaded bicycle path along the canal is a dream for cyclists.
Seimen B — Google review
Picturesque, slow pace, towns adjoining, a very French experience. We enjoyed our stay, 10 days was too brief even with two days before and after in central Toulouse, 14 total.
Jim H — Google review
I preferred the section away from the road. The staircase lock we passed was interesting. The locks are big as the vessels passing through are also a fair size. The canal is perhaps a little over 10m wide.
Gary K — Google review
I expected some slightly better surfaces. Most of it was quite poor, with potholes, rough large gravels and tree roots. It's also badly signposted in places. Don't try it with normal road tyres. Most people were on electric bikes with fat tyres. I won't be back.
Boberto J — Google review
A bucket list exsperience and must do. Relaxing holiday by selfdriven boat while enjoying southern France's vinos and old villages.

Keep in mind the canal is not a single point on the map, the pin took me somewhere random that wasn’t that pretty

Historical landmark
Porte Narbonnaise is a castle-like entrance gate that leads through massive stone walls into the medieval fortress city of Carcassonne in the south of France. It is one of the largest and most spectacular fortresses globally, making it a must-visit for castle and medieval history enthusiasts. The gate serves as a portal to another world, evoking the rich history of the Cathars and the crusade against them in the Middle Ages.
Absolutely stunning, perfectly preserved piece of history. There are many cheap car parks nearby and everything is accessible, save a few steep hills. There horses which drive the carriages from this entry point are well cared for and healthy too!
April W — Google review
This gate is the entrance to the medieval walled city in Carcassonne. Access into the city is free and you can walk the entirety of the wall following a dirt track that leads between the outer and inner ramp parts. This is also the route that the horse drawn carts take. You can also go through this gate to get into the main part of the medieval city. This is where you will find shops, restaurants, cafés, and other stores. You can also access the church from within the gates of the city as well. This is a wonderful place to visit beautifully restored and steeped in history. There are also ticketed areas which are well worth the visit.
G M — Google review
Carcassonne is one of my favourite places to visit in Europe. We first came here when my firstborn was small and made videos of him chasing around the ramparts with a plastic halberd. Now, with our kids gone, we came back on a walking holiday to relive old memories and stroll the walls, back alleys and fortifications at a more leisurely pace. The Petit Train around the outside of the walls was surprisingly informative and good fun, while we enjoyed setting up some photographs inside the walls, without shops and tourist paraphernalia. A romantic, educational and thought-provoking place to visit. If the car had not been invented, would more towns and cities still look like this?
Nigel M — Google review
🛡️ Step into history at Porte Narbonnaise! This iconic 13th-century gate is your grand entrance to Carcassonne’s medieval fortress. The main gate to the Medieval city, (built in the late 1200's), is lovely to walk trough, like something out of a fairytale. It is actually one of two, the other being Porte d’Aude, (quite scenic outlook, however the steeper of the two to get too).
V H — Google review
We visited Carcassonne during the off-season; it was cold and wet, which meant the entire city was basically empty. We saw the same two dozen people all day. It was a fantastic way to experience the city, honestly. This gate is the way most folks enter the medieval city. I love that it's still, technically, a functional drawbridge. Y'know, just in case of Visigoths.
Emily G — Google review
This is the main entrance if you arrive by car, it has all the parking areas this side, don't try and park at the other gate entrance "Porte de l'Aude” very little parking as you are in the main town area and a longer walk to get in.

LE PARC AUSTRALIEN parc animalier intéractif offers a unique experience with Australian wildlife and culture. Visitors can enjoy guided tours with engaging explanations about the animals, as well as interactive experiences such as feeding kangaroos, ostriches, and parrots. The park also provides opportunities to learn about traditional music instruments like the didgeridoo and offers activities like panning for gold and boomerang lessons.
It was really nice to visit. Be sure you enter around the time they do the free guided tour. You will get the possibility to feed some of the animals, which is amazing for kids. All the animals have a lot of space and are looked after really well.
Marc D — Google review
It's a nice small parc with lots of activities for young kids. You best check the timings for a guided tour as you can feed the birds, wallaby and ostriches.
Vicky G — Google review
Awesome little Zoo. The staff were outstanding. Very helpful and friendly. Our guide was an intern and did a private tour in English and was extremely knowledgeable about the animals. I am always nervous about zoos as I am not sure if the animals are well treated but I feel the animals at this place are happy and well looked after. Great mix of animals, kids activities and a cute shop.
Ali — Google review
Very much enjoyed Le Parc Australien. We saw all different kinds of animals. We were brought on the English language tour by Ashnida (possibly incorrect spelling). She was very attentive, knowledgeable and funny. Small drinks shop and public toilets are available at the park. Gift shop was very extensive, many things to choose from. Had a great time all in all, definitely recommend for families with kids or couples looking to see animals for a few hours. Public transport is not available to the park, therefore you will need a car or taxi service.

Lovely place for a quick escape. We leaned a lot about the animals. The kids were very exited. We took special tickets for the kids and rhey spend a whole day taking care of the animals. The Museum of the Inquisition offers a glimpse into the dark history of medieval torture and the role of the Catholic inquisition, particularly focusing on the Cathars in the 13th century. The museum features various objects, photographs, and reproductions that showcase inventive methods and tools used for torture during that time. It is not recommended for young children due to its graphic nature, but older kids and adults interested in delving into this darker chapter of history may find it intriguing.
This was by far the highlight of our trip to Carcassonne. The highlights were the guillotine which included a horse facing the wall for dramatic effect, perfectly pixilated photos and translations which were spot on. I would recommend this for small children or to take your blind relative, or even your step mother. Most torturous part was the admission price.
Ronnie D — Google review
Seeing all the torture appliances is interesting, but how they are presented is a bit weird. Bad English translations, stock photos with the iStock watermarks still visible, huge blown up and pixelated prints on the wall, etc. Fun to walk around (probably not for young kids) but definitely not worth €11,-.
R. W — Google review
Quite horrific if you think about it too long. Certainly a macabre experience. I bet it leaves some children with nightmares. If you can approach it in a more lighthearted frame of mind, very interesting.
Brian R — Google review
After the first prison museum we thought we got swindled out of our money. It seemed low budget. The second part / museum was more what we expected and felt we got our money’s worth. Its crazy to think what people are capable of when left to their own vices.
Jared L — Google review
Interesting - learned a lot about the history of the region.
Silviu A — Google review
If you wish to know how the Inquisition became such a power figure as well as how they maintained it, you should come here. Photos are not allowed but the denial is worth it, as it makes such impact in you that you might want to go away in some points. There are two museum sites so ensure to visit both!

Our 2 days stay was lovely, first night dining the waiter was run off his feet 🥴but the meals were excellent. The second night's dining was excellent and not too busy, bed was so comfy in the room and the grounds were lovely to relax in with a bottle of their home made wine by the pool , would definitely return again and the receptionist William was very helpful

I have given the rooms 5 stars because I don't want to lower the average. We only used the restaurant. It was as good as we remembered from our visit 20 years ago. The service was efficient and pleasant; the food was delicious. Wine was reasonable for a bottle included in the price. Really enjoyed the aperetif - peachy in some way. We had a lovely evening.

Very OLD rooms. The furniture and toilets are so dated that they feel unclean, there is not even a shower, only a bathtub. The swimming pool is amazing and that is why I am giving a 3 starts rating

Nestled just a short drive from the vibrant heart of Carcassonne, Hôtel La Bastide Saint Martin is a delightful family-run retreat that perfectly blends comfort with charm. This polished hotel features bright and airy rooms, each designed to create a welcoming atmosphere. The standout Privilege suite offers direct access to the lush gardens and inviting outdoor pool, making it an ideal spot for relaxation.
Although we spent only one night here, it was really nice. Hotel is not far from the city center by car so if you want to enjoy a bit of peace and quiet, this is a great choice for you. Nice accommodation, everything was clean and cosy. Great breakfast and most of all kind and smiling personnel. We really enjoyed our stay. :)

Don't let the bed bugs bite. Unfortunately, our evening was ruined when we spotted a solitary bed bug on the headboard waiting to feed just above my head. My wife squashed it with a tissue and we set about seaching the room for other such beasties. There was a squashed one between the matress and headboard with a splat of red blood, and we identified 3 other dead ones behind the headboard. We then contacted the owners who apologised and offered us a change of room which we accepted. No compensation on departure.

On arrival, Hotel La Bastide Saint Martin, is impressive, Entering through two iron gates into a area providing sufficient car parking. The Foyer of the Hotel is also impressive, possessing wonderful ambience and decore. There is an open area for breakfast, which is quite adequate, adjacent to a large heated pool surrounded by chairs and lounges. The room had air- conditioning which was a great relief from the single fans experienced in our two previous stays. The only two negatives were the small size of the room which made accommodation of our 4 large suitcases a challenge, leaving little room to walk and the absence of a refrigerator, especially when we had milk (for coffee in the morning and a few bottles of white wine). However, the owners provided excellent assistance when required, especially since we spoke little French. Both owners were essential in assisting us when we severely damaged a tyre on our rented Peugoet 2008. They spoke (French) to Hertz in Carcassonne and managed to organize the return of our vehicle. . . . . . we will be forever in their debt for their kindness and personal assistance. Rating: 8/10

Lovely hotel! A cozy place, nice pool. Free parking. We felt cery welcomed by the owner! He gave us good recommendations for our stay in carcassonne. Aprox 40-50min walk to the castle (3,8km). You should try their breakfast. One of the best that we had on our journey to france/florence. We would love to visit this hotel again! 10 out of 10!

Really lovely hotel in a tranquil setting yet minutes from the hustle and bustle of Carcassonne. Gorgeous pool area for relaxing and staying cool. Bedrooms very airy and spacious. Excellent breakfast and very friendly owners and staff. Will definitely be back!

every time we visit carcassonne we stay here, Isabelle & alain made us so welcome from the very first time. the rooms are light and airy, and well appointed, breakfast is superb and served inside the hotel itself rather than their attached (and excellent) restaurant. there is a small pool out the back in a well kept garden. the gardens to the side of the hotel, which leads to the restaurant is magnificent, containing some beautiful plants, and also herbs used in the cuisine. if you chose to stay here, it is within walking distance of La Cite if you are up to it, and will be rewarded by some wonderful scenery... vinyards, horse riding menage, rolling hills, wild growing figs.... I'm convincing myself we need to return soon!

Logis Hôtel Château de Palaja is an elegant hotel located in the rural village of Palaja, just a short drive from the historic attractions of Carcassonne. The hotel offers bright rooms with complimentary Wi-Fi and features a refined restaurant, outdoor pool, sauna, and a 24-hour fitness center. Guests can indulge in spa treatments or enjoy recreational activities such as hiking, horse riding, and biking in the surrounding area.
We visited Catherine and Eric’s place during summer 2024 with our boys. They are such thoughtful hosts and the area is brimming with things to explore. It’s perhaps less-frequented as a place, but if you’re looking for something varied and with history to spare, this place and the hotel in particular are well worth your time. We loved dinner and breakfast in the garden as well as a little pétanque. The place is charming and I cannot recommend the proprietors enough.

Very special hotel on a tranquil, well maintained property convenient to Carcassonne without the chaos. Spent two peaceful nights in a very comfortable room. Delicious breakfast and delightful owners who helped us plan a day touring the countryside. Only wish we’d stayed longer. Don’t miss dining at ‘S Comme, a very special gourmet restaurant on the property.

Recently returned from a lovely break staying here. Just outside Carcassonne in a village but a peaceful setting. The owners are passionate about the Château and personally attend to every detail. Breakfast was lovely as is the restaurant next door. Rooms were spacious and spotlessly clean. You need a car to stay here and be careful of the car park entrance which is incredibly narrow. The swimming pool is a welcome addition, set away from the house and whilst swimming completely hidden from view which is a bonus in one way, but if anything was to happen, you’re on your own! Overall a lovely place to stay.

We had a wonderful stay as a family group of 10. Catherine and Eric have done a fabulous job of renovating this charming chateau, and were wonderfully helpful both ahead of our stay and throughout. Our room, for our family of two adults and two children, was the La Cité family suite. It’s large, with a separate twin bedroom and main room. We had a large bathroom with bath and shower, and separate loo. There’s a sitting area where the children could relax with games. The room is characterful with original beams. Thankfully it also has air con, as it was unseasonably warm during our stay. Breakfast is a delicious self-service buffet of cereals, different breads (brioche, pain rustique, etc.), pastries, yogurts, hams, cheeses, juices, home made jams, etc. One evening we had platters and wine in the pretty garden, the platters were excellent and very substantial. Catherine and Eric recommended lovely local restaurants in Carcassonne and Trèbes, and were full of expert knowledge. We ate at S Comme twice during the stay. The food was really lovely, in a relaxed and pretty setting, and the chef was very accommodating of our children, one of whom has special dietary requirements. I would highly recommend Chateau de Palaja for a holiday, either as a couple, a family, or among friends.

Loved my stay for a week in August for a cycling holiday (hired from Evadeo in Carcassonne). Cathy and Eric were fantastic hosts, always on hand with a smile, suggestions for destinations or answering questions. The building is full of character, with comfortable, spacious and cool rooms. I was astounded to find that Cathy and Eric had managed the complete renovation. The pool was perfect for cooling off. I loved having breakfast on the lawn.

Kathy has a lovely place with a very welcoming atmosphere. We’re we traveling from Langon to the Mediterranean cost and stayed here for a full day. Our only regret was we didn’t book more days. The rooms are very large and well appointed all housed inside a fabulous old Chateau. All modern conveniences are available that made our stay very comfortable. The outside had a number of different areas to lounge around and have a drink or coffee. The pool on the lower terrace was our savior in the warm weather. And the kids really enjoyed the freedom and fun. Overall I would highly recommend a stay.

I stayed here with my wife in the early spring. The hotel is basically in Carcassonne but unlike alot of other hotels we have stayed in and around the Carcassonne area this one has a beautiful large garden where we had breakfast. Our room and bathroom were both a good size and the whole building had a really nice feel. The owners have kept the feel of the original, period building but with some nice contemporary touches. There is also a top notch restaurant next door. I'd say this is an ideal base from which to explore Carcassonne and the surrounding area. Shame we could only stay the one night.

The property features a pool and lush garden, providing a tranquil atmosphere for guests. Visitors can enjoy comfortable rooms with spacious bathrooms and homemade breakfast in the beautiful garden.
We had a fantastic 5 days in this lovely small property right outside the ancient Cité of Carcassonne. The owner is lovely and gave us some excellent recommendations for excursions and restaurants. The room was a nice size with a patio and a swimming pool on the property (little cold in October mind you... but still nice!). The location is perfect - just a 200m flat walk from the entrance to the ancient town, where there are many shops, attractions and excellent restaurants. We hired a car and were able to find the property easily (1 hour from Toulouse airport), then use it as a base to explore the region - there are so many places to explore around here! In particular the Cathar chateaus to the North and South and the incredible cave: "Gouffre Géant de Cabrespine".

(Translated by Google) A wonderful romantic getaway in this sublime apartment, ideally located and super accessible. There's no better place in Carcassonne to unwind and enjoy a night with your other half. A little extra: the thoughtfulness of the hosts and the apartment, which remains pleasantly cool despite the 35-degree weather outside.

Nestled on a sprawling 100-hectare hillside, Pech Mary is a hidden gem that invites nature lovers and families alike to explore its lush landscape. This area is in the midst of an exciting transformation into an eco-museum, complete with picnic spots and informative signs that enhance your visit. Children can delight in specially designed play areas while also engaging with nature through bat and bird box projects crafted by local kids.
We walked here from Carcassonne because apparently there was very good views of the city and we were looking to get into the countryside for a bit. It was lovely and quiet. We met one other person walking his dog. We saw a praying mantis and it is actually an arboretum I think. Children had made bat and bird boxes. Just lots of trees and natural foliage.

Parc Aquaviva is a waterpark offering various entry options, starting from 12 euros for 1 hour or 22 euros for a day pass. It's an enjoyable and competitive activity suitable for all ages, with options ranging from 1 to indefinite hours at reasonable prices. The park features large slides that provide exhilarating airtime and charge an additional fee. Visitors can also rent lockers for their belongings.
Well organised and well priced - this outdoor inflatable water park was a great way to spend time with the family, and only a 10 minute drive from Carcassonne. We’ve been to a few of these inflatable obstacle courses in France and this has been the most extensive and best run we’ve visited so far. A short 1.5 km walk from the car park on the footpath around the lake, the price is the same for children (min age 5) and adults, priced by the hour, two hours, five hours or the whole day! One hour was more than enough for us. There is a chill out area in the shade with a snack shack which serves fries, crepes and panini etc. .
Bjornrose — Google review
The park is great fun, well thought out and very safe for kids. We went on a 40 degree day and was very happy to keep falling in the water! Its a 15 to 20 minute slow walk from the car park and is on rough terrain. There is a small cafe with drink and snacks with ice creams and there were a number of staff who spoke English, saving us mangling their poor language! The only drawback was the toilets, these are portable style toilets and were pretty grim. But as a site for a day out I would recommend it.
Lee M — Google review
Fun place and very good organised. Fair prices. Time went fast.

15 minute anticlockwise walk round the lake. Big locker 5E. Life jackets for users on inflatable area. Platform slides take off jackets and put on helmet. Platform jumps remove both. Excellent fun and well supervised. Covered viewing area has drinks snacks ice creams. Did 2 hours and that was plenty. Definitely worth a visit
Stephen D — Google review
Great time for all.the family. Quiet Even though peak holiday time, inflatables are really good Only downside it's a 15min walk from car park around the lake
Michelle W — Google review
Great fun for kids & adults in a lovely setting. €8 per hour (per person); €5 more if you are to use the large slides (2). Highly recommended!
Ying H — Google review
Kids had a go yesterday and loved it. They especially enjoyed the slides
Greg B — Google review
Excellent and fun activity for everyone to enjoy. Can get competitive as you race or throw your friends off the course. The place offers 1hr, 2hr and indefinite options all at reasonable prices from €10 - €20. For the largest slides -which are great fun and give you some airtime as your propelled into the air- the park charges an additional €5. Lockers are available for your personal belongings for an additional €5. Drinks and snacks are slightly pricey compared to other similar venues and therefore you should bring some drinks otherwise you’ll quickly become dehydrated.
