Very nice beach without seaweed. Clean, pleasant, there are trees you can hide in their shade. The most beautiful beach in Alghero
Grzegorz J — Google review
Excellent beach, clean water, can be very crowded between 10 and 4 this time of uear but still lovely! If you walk until the very end, less people and more space.
Patricia M — Google review
Beautiful beach. It is wide and long enough for plenty of people to use. There are also trees in the beginning which provide sufficient shade.
Luky J — Google review
I'm not sure where Maria Pia ends and Fertilia beach starts, but the closer you get to Fertilia, the beach becomes calmer and the parking - free (the part with the palm trees by the road, not with the pines). Unfortunately the free beach areas are not clean from algae, as everywhere in Sardinia.
Annice W — Google review
One of our favourite beaches in the region! The sand is really fine, the beach itself and the water are clean. There are few beach bars and plenty of space for your own umbrella. ☀️🌊⛱️ You can use the public transport to come to the beach from Alghero. 🚌
Ванина Д — Google review
Beautiful beach with free areas. The water is crystal clear and gradually deepens, and the shore is covered with soft sand. Even on the weekend, it wasn’t too crowded.
Dóra J — Google review

Outdoor Activities
Spiaggia di Mugoni is a popular beach in Sardinia, near Alghero, known for its excellent snorkeling opportunities and family-friendly shallow waters. The area boasts a variety of fish species that can be easily observed with a snorkel mask. The beach features trees providing ample shade and offers comfortable sunbeds and umbrellas for relaxation. Visitors can also enjoy the amenities of the Baia di Conte Resort, which is surrounded by tranquil forests and provides a 4-star experience.
Spiaggia di Mugoni is a lovely blend of nature and low-key tourism. Surrounded by trees and with its natural charm intact, it offers soft sand, clear water, and a calming atmosphere. Sunbeds are available across different areas – we got ones directly by the sea for €10 each for the day, which felt like a decent deal. There’s basic infrastructure including parking (€1/hour), a small kiosk for drinks and snacks, and a restaurant that looked slightly overpriced compared to other local spots. Still, it’s convenient to have those options on-site. It does get busy, so arriving earlier is a good idea if you want a good spot. Quietly rated: worth stopping and settling in for a full beach day.
Quietly R — Google review
The beach itself is beautiful. The water is clear. But it is definitely overcrowded - the shore is long, but tight and the people are getting too close to each other, because of lack of space. If you want to go there, make sure you are there early enough, so you can find a good place for your umbrella. We got there with a bus from Alghero (9321 I think for 2.50 euro for one direction).
Ванина Д — Google review
Keep your ticket EVEN after paying at the end of your day - you need it to get out the gate. Pay by cash or card AT THE END by scanning the ticket. After parking, walk to the beach and turn left. Walk along the crowded beach for 300m or so until you reach the tall tree section. Very uncrowded with natural tree shade. We were here on a Sunday and it stayed uncrowded. Water crystal clear and super panoramic view.
Anthony J — Google review
Our absolute favorite in northwest Sardinia. Clear shallow water, lots of fish, pine forest just behind the beach. Nice soft sand, only a few meters of pebbles when entering the sea. Free parking in September (paid in high season, I believe). The organized area is packed, but the free zones are good enough. You could also put your towel under the trees.
Annice W — Google review
This is one of the best beaches in Alghero province. There is parking lot and bit a walking distance to beach, like 5 mins but then you will be surrounded by big trees 🌲 and nature while baking in the sun on the white sand beach. You can rent ⛱️🛏️ for 24 Euro: 2 beds and 1 umbrellas, which is a good price and also you can layout your own. There are plenty of bars for drinks and restaurants to eat really tasty food. I recommend to make a reservation and eat at La Niefe, it has nice natural shadow from the big trees while you have a sea view. Variety of wine and food is not that big but everything was delicious 😋
Liviu A — Google review
One of the longest beach in Alghero area, with pine forest where to get some shade. You have access to lots of bars and restaurants, a parking with decent fee.
Ana M — Google review
Very good clear crystal and icy water. Free parking under the trees for motorcycle. Also many places under the trees to sit.
Antonis V — Google review
Great beach, much calmer and quieter than others in the area. If you want to get a sunbed and umbrella, you have to go early because they are few. The restaurant is very nice. Parking is convenient and close to the beach. The bay is incredibly beautiful and the water is crystal clear. I recommend it.

Bombarde Beach is a picturesque 1-kilometer stretch of sandy shoreline surrounded by volcanic rocks, offering a tranquil escape near the city of Alghero in Sardinia. The beach features calm, iridescent waters ranging from green to blue and is popular for kite surfing and windsurfing. Visitors can access the beach easily via public transportation or car, with ample paid parking available. Additionally, there are restaurants nearby where visitors can savor local cuisine while enjoying the beautiful surroundings.
Busy but lovely clear water and soft sand. 7 euro for a sunbed, foods decent enough at the beach bar. Free parking if you walk fir a bit, paid parking close by. Park dodgy and you'll get a ticket. Water gets deep quicker than usual, so your not swimming for 5 mins then standing up and it's knee deep, go just for the clear water. Sand temperature is just below molten lava and did I mention its busy
Jon A — Google review
Very crowded beach although quite clean. The restaurant nearby serves delicious meals even though it is very busy and the waiting is a bit long. But it was worth it as the lasagne was absolutely mouthwatering
Iza R — Google review
absolutely worth it, after only 40 minutes touring around all the (paid) parking spaces we found something who left so we got a spot. went to the beach, looks beautiful, great, we rented a parasol, after paying we were told nothing available, no problem, it was sunny and hot. highly recommended place, everyone comes here, great crowd, more than in Manhatten. really sandy sand by the looks of it, too. went somewhere else, same sun, same water
Wolfgang W — Google review
Great beach a bit far in a quieter location. I was cycling over there and it was beautiful experience. Plenty of trees for the shade and some rocks around. Beautiful turquoise and blue shallow water.

Platja del Llatzeret, also known as Spiaggia del Lazzaretto, is a beautiful beach with white sand and clear, calm waters. It can be easily reached by public transportation from Alghero. Although it can get crowded, especially in the afternoons and on weekends, it's definitely worth a visit. The beach offers opportunities for snorkeling and pedal boat rental.
Wonderful little beach with clear sea and white sand. Access by bus 9321 from Alghero in just 20 minutes. Small food van and cafe there. Buses are infrequent however so make sure you plan ahead or use the parking available. Absolutely stunning.
Nadia E — Google review
Really nice beach with beautiful sand and clear sea. It can be a little crowded but it's worth visiting. Bars on the beach offer various selection of drinks and snacks. Parking is available but it can be full if you come around 1PM.
Nemanja M — Google review
The water was crystal clear, and the fish was swimming around us. We could see them even when we were not snorkeling. It's a sand beach, great choice for families and other people as well. Accessible by bus from Alghero. There was a restaurant and some street food. You can rent umbrellas or sunbeds for 6€.
Nikola R — Google review
Wow, just a stunning beach! Clearer than tap water, soft sand and not super crowded when I was there, first Friday of Sept. Lots of people but room to breathe and enjoy the water. I think chairs are cheaper if set up outside the roped-off area. $6 per chair and umbrella. Also plenty of room to take your own. Got there by city bus 9320 or 9321-- note that you can get tickets at newsstands but the guy selling them near the stop I went to gave everyone local bus tickets, which aren't valid for this trip. You can buy the ticket on the bus and apparently online- there was a qr code at the stop.
Donna G — Google review
Nice, small beach, well organised. Lots of space off-season. Not the white sand, turquoise water you may be looking for, but a nice beach. No showers though, and toilets only inside the restaurant.
Kevin F — Google review
The beach is magnificent, with clear water, soft sand, and a nearby restaurant. We visited on a monday and even after 11 a.m., there were still plenty of spots available for towels and umbrellas. Parking was very good, well organized and just €1.50 per hour, which you can pay when leaving. Highly recommended!
Alena K — Google review
Honestly one of the most perfect beaches. So clean, not crowded, shallow warm water and not too busy. Car park was having building work but there is space along the road or opposite in a private car park at 1.5euro per hour.
Tom B — Google review
The beach is nice, water is crystal clean, sand is beautiful, but too many people. More touristic.

Torre del Porticciolo is a sheltered cove with a Renaissance-era anti-piracy tower, offering great opportunities for snorkeling and camping. The beach is beautiful and suitable for snorkeling, although some visitors have noted that the entrance to the water can be uncomfortable due to large stones. The area provides stunning views and opportunities for short hikes. While there are some concerns about access to the beach and restrictions on pets, it remains a picturesque spot with crystal-clear waters and medieval charm.
A great, clean beach! You park on top of the hill (free parking) and walk downhill for a few minutes. The waters are clear and worth snorkeling. 2 deers walked past us at the beach. There are no showers, but there are recycling garbage bins.
Patricia M — Google review
Very beautiful beach and medieval tower, crystal water but pay attention that you need special shoes. On the day when we visited were quite some algae and full of jellyfish. There is a bar/restaurant on the beach and you can rent canoe. The only downside is the thieves, we arrived somewhere around 12:30 at the beach and parked the car in the only parking around which happens to be also unguarded, so after we enjoyed a gorgeous sunset we arrived the car only to find the semi destroyed handle of the car, destroyed lock and body work around the handle but gladly they did not manage to get inside and we had also full coverage on the rented car. SO BE CAREFUL on this beach because I see just now that we are not the only ones that had this happened.
Alexandru-Daniel C — Google review
One of the best camping facilities I've been to. The staff was very kind overall and the location is nearly perfect. The nearby beach is beautiful and good for snorkelling. Only the restaurante quality and service could benefit from improvements to the service and quality of some ingredients used.
João G — Google review
Very nice beach and beautiful fairly unspoiled nature. Parking is above the beach. Access to the beach can be problem for those who has problems with steps... There is small bar with drinks and snacks. The surroundings offer plenty of opportunities for beautifil vievs or even short hikes.
Borut B — Google review
Very beautiful beach!!! Though entrance in the water is not pleasant - big stones make it very uncomfortable. I would not recommend this beach for people with kids. Though a nice romantic getaway
Daria S — Google review
Beautiful small beach. Little rough sand - rocky around. In the water mainly rocks, a few spots with sand. Not too many people.
Stefan Z — Google review
Very nice beach! Not overcrowded and beautiful view! Worth to visit :) just minus because pets not allowed in this area... There is a camper village and if you travel with pets you must leave them in camper - that is stupid :)

Spiaggia di San Giovanni is a fascinating beach located at the city center, offering a splendid shoreline bordered by a beautiful promenade of pine trees and a cycle path that leads to the charming old town. The fine white sand and contrasting blue sea water make this beach exceptionally picturesque. Unlike many others, it provides amenities such as umbrellas, beach chairs, beds, and loungers for rent.

Beautiful beach in Alghero. We went to this beach few times because was so close to our apartment. Great place and service here with sun-beds and parasol, lots of options here for food and drinks also ice cream and pubs, pharmacy and supermarkets. Highly recommend this place for families
Thiago A — Google review
Peaceful beach on the North side of Alghero in the way to Fertilia with an amazing sky and spectacular views of Alghero's gulf. If the smell of seaweed of Il Lido beach bothers you, this one may be more suited for your taste as the smell is much softer. Pitifully, the bar on one side of the beach put the music at max volume and the sea wasn't hearable. Very fine grain sand. The bus stop is just in front.
Alex S — Google review
This beach has only beautiful sunsets. Despite this, it is noisy from many bars' music, water is cold and stinks of seeweed, which is of course everywhere, close to the water is overcrowded, this is not smoking free zone, so you end up inhaling cigarete fumes, no public toilet and showers (only tap to wash your feet). Summary: was there once and never came back.
Grzegorz K — Google review
Visited the beach on a warm day in mid-October, no crowds, clear water and nice views. The reviews for the beach ate mixed, I guess it depends on the conditions when you visit and if it is high or low season. For a day like today this beach is great.

This beach is beautiful even on windy days. The is a sandy beach with crystal clear water. There is a restaurant/bar ‘La Sperenza’. We went there at the end of September 2022 and the bar was still open. Plenty of parking spaces and close to the main road (Alghero/Bosa).

20 Minutes south of Alghero...nice beach to chill after touring the city.....and 13 € for 2 beds and umbrella is unbeaten on Sardinia...in our experience ;)

Lovely place to snorkel...lots of fish to see, even just by standing at the edge of the water! We stayed towards the southern end of the beach, where it wasn't so overcrowded and overwhelming!!

Really beautiful bay surrounded by mountains with a beach restaurant, sun loungers etc. Carpark with paid parking at C80 and hour. Quite wavy but not dangerous. Just south of Alghero.
Marie A — Google review
Nice beach, not very busy. The entrance to the sea was not easy as there were bigger pebbles and there were seaweeds, but once you get past the pebbles, there is white sand and the water is clean.
Vladislav V — Google review
We parked in the car park at the south end of the beach at 330 and by 5pm someone broke into our rental car( panda) and stole 2 bags from the boots ruining our holiday. Apparently the people who run the kiosk told me is not the first time this happened. Great introduction to Sardenea

The place is lovely. The beach is very small and there’s a part that is reserved for the bar. There are lots of rocks around where you can find a spot for yourself, but it is very hot in the summer and bringing some kind of cover is recommended.

Dear travellers, This is a message of prevention for all those travelling to Sardinia this summer. This is probably not the first, nor the last time you will read this. At the end of June my girlfriend and I were the victims of a break-in, a car window smashed and all our belongings snatched and gone in the space of a few minutes. The island is renowned for its beautiful beaches and is also the scene of organised and repeated thefts throughout the year. Don't leave anything visible in your car - beach car parks, shopping centres and other public places are not safe places. Be on the lookout for suspicious behaviour, and don't hesitate to tell people about it. The authorities can do nothing, and as tourists we are powerless in the face of such a situation. Solidarity, prevention and education are the only weapons we have against this incredibly vile behaviour and actions. Have a great summer and do everything you can to make sure these criminals don't get away with robbing you of your belongings. 📍Cala Dragunara, 39.06.25, 14h30

Splash Aquapark, located at the beach of Maria Pia in Alghero, offers a thrilling experience with plenty of water slides and swimming pools to enjoy on hot days. The park operates from June to September and provides a fun-filled day for visitors. While some have raised safety concerns about potential risks for kids, others have had an amazing time at the water park, praising the dedicated staff for ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience.
Good fun and a good place to enjoy a different day. A Park installed by an entrepreneurial family that runs its business with joy and enthusiasm. Don't forget to visit it. Enjoy a beer and a meal while your children have fun or share with them on this adventure. Many successes for your business!!

Pretty good value for money especially if you plan on going a few times in a week as its about 30-40euro for a 2 hour slot or about 80eur for a 5 day pass. My daughter was just under the 120cm height but they allowed me to sign a waiver and go on with her which was fine as I was planning on doing it anyway. Really enjoyed it and the beach was fairly quiet compared to others in the area with a good little resturant right next door.

Kids had so much fun! We took the 2 hour option and it was ample. You buy tickets across the street, the cashier spoke english. We had to wait 10 mins to get life jackets which was time wasted, but from then, it was great. The water was clear, warm, and everyone had a blast. We returned the life jackets, so I could get the deposit back. We then chilled at the beach for another hour. It was great.

I would give this place a 10 out of 5 if I could. The owners are incredible. We came for a half day and one hour into the aquapark I had an inquiry and we had to leave. We came back the next day and they allowed our kids to use their remaining time. The kindness to our family increased our love for Aleghero even stronger and made our kids so happy. The aqua park is awesome and worth the price for fun. A wonderful time for everyone in the family. Thank you again!

I was with a girl here today and I don't recommend anyone else to waste money here. €20 per person for 2 hours is definitely too much, the vest they give you is torn in several places so they patched it up with plastic staples that are used in the auto industry so it all scratched my back. And if you want a locker to leave your car key or personal documents, you will have to pay another €5 for that. This is pure rudeness and I do not recommend anyone to go.

At 10 minutes driving distance from Alghero and 5 minutes from Fertilia. 15 euros pp for 2 hours. Kids absolutely loved it. Beach clean and busy.
Antoine B — Google review
Really good. Kids had a great time. Nice cafe for drinks and ice-cream. They offer discounts for repeat visits.
Lindsey D — Google review
Great 2 hrs for the kids. Easy to get to with a cafe for anybody not entering the water. Recommend for sure!

Really gorgeous views. We did the car tour and walked to the coastline. There have been almost no people at all, which was really nice. If you're in the area make sure to check it out!

Was here and it started to rain heavily. All roads to the park were closed so haven’t seen much of the park. Museum was slightly disappointing. Nice for kids.

Great atmosphere, beautiful views, good service and low prices! Really good Aperol Spritz. 1L of wine for 10 euro. I'm here for the second year in a row and I love this place!
Dominika R — Google review
Sea and surrounding area really nice. Sand almost clean, nice trees. Pitty is that free area are small and there is no free shower only if payed for sunbed and or umbrella. There is a warm shower at beachbar for 2.5EUR. Few days later we came back (as tge kids like the place), they dont give sunbed/umbrella as they are "overbooked". They are not...just give them to italien. Immediately saw 2 pairs get place. They were not prebooked. How friendly they are...
György B — Google review
This could be a much higher score but for the lifeguard/sunbed attendant who is the most miserable, ignorant, bad tempered and just thoroughly unpleasant person you could wish to meet! Such a shame in such a lovely location on a great beach!
Barry H — Google review
Clean sand beach, clean toilets. Have a cafe with food, drinks and ice cream) a lot of plants.
Derp D — Google review
Bar is good , BUT the parasol and Sun lounger guys haven't a clue... tried to move us after lunch for locals (at our chosen seat from 10am) and told us not to come back tomorrow, not a professional service. I'd use another provider if i was back... loads of other companies on the beach.
Q-Fitz — Google review
Bar part of the business is sound but we are beyond disappointed with the service we received from the parasol guy. When we paid we were not given the seat number so we took the front seat considering we had a small child with us. After 3 hours we were told we were in the wrong spot and we should move...when we refused we were told not to come back tomorrow... what else can you say about this behaviour...we are shocked
Aga F — Google review
Very crowded and way too much space is taken up by rent-a-chair services which were not well used. However, the businesses had lots to offer and were friendly enough and didn't charge for the toilets, which was great because my daughter was going to explode. Very difficult to navigate on the beach here due to crowds (well, it was Saturday) but the waters were lovely and warm, but a little ... well, I don't want to say dirty because you might think I mean trash and litter, which I don't, bit remember that seaweed I was telling you about from the beaches closer to the city center? Well, it seems to start about here. Not a lot, like, you don't have to leap to get out of the water unscathed, but enough to kind of make the waters a bit less inviting. Though they invited me plenty and I spent more time in them than I ought to at my age, but I have kids so that's my excuse.
Tom H — Google review
Lovely beach, shallow and easy swimming. Negatives; surly lifeguard who decides which beds and umbrella you’ll have. The beds are very close together, surprising in Covid times, and the annoyance of having to ask the same grumpy person for a very short cold shower and pay him 20 cents each time to rinse after having been in the sea. Friendlier lidos exist.
