Castle
Sights & Landmarks
Kaunas Castle is a medieval fortress that offers art and historical exhibitions, cultural events, and guided tours. The castle hosts outdoor exhibitions of various works by international artists and showcases photography galleries. Visitors can also take walking city tours to explore the center and Old Town of Kaunas, including historical and architectural monuments like St. George's Church, the Theological seminary courtyard, Town Hall Square, baroque churches, and more.
It’s worthy to see this castle - after all, it is a symbol of the city! Inside there is a museum - price is low (for student 2€), but exhibits are not interesting. There is a view of the city from there - the free one is better, but remember that in Kaunas you can find better places for this, for example the Alexota funicular.

Kaunas Castle is a wonderful place for a walk. In the evening it’s beautifully lit, which makes the atmosphere really charming. The whole area felt very safe, and I also noticed there are surveillance cameras nearby, which adds to the feeling of security. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Kaunas!
Mihály J — Google review
A historic castle very nicely preserved, clean and surrounded by green areas and walking trails around it. Minutes away from the old town of Kaunas. Worth visiting!
Mark B — Google review
Kaunas Castle is a beautiful and historic spot right in the heart of the city. The red-brick fortress looks amazing, and the museum inside gives a nice glimpse into Kaunas’ past. The area around it is great for a walk, with lovely river views and a calm atmosphere. Staff are friendly, and there are often cool events or festivals happening nearby. Definitely worth a visit!
Jack F — Google review
A very nice castle, but quite small once you get inside and with status you need to be careful as they are quite steep and you will need to wait for people or to go upstairs or downstairs as you can do both at the same time as it’s quite narrow. Worth a visit tho. The prices for tickets is ok too £4 for adult, but for students, kids, retired and disabled people gets it’s cheaper or does not pay at all which is nice.
Indy R — Google review
Nice little exposition, well restored old castle, loved the dungeon prison part, great view from top level of the tower.Small but interesting museum, stairs at the tower are steep and narrow but there is another wider exilt on level two.Would recommend to spend couple hours exploring castle and surrounding old wall grounds.
Waffenman67 — Google review
Nice park to walk around. You can walk up to have a view. Castle itself has few remains, so not that much to visit. Has a museum indoor in the tower (paid entrance)
Koen K — Google review
Nice castle immersed in a well tended park. We were there on Monday hence the castle was closed therefore we could only admire the outside of it

Pažaislis Monastery and Church, constructed in 1664 by Camaldolese monks, is a stunning example of late baroque architecture in North-Eastern Europe. The monastery complex has been an integral part of Kaunas' history for over 350 years and is now a popular destination for cultural and film tourism. Visitors can enjoy guided tours of the monastery, which also offers a hospitality complex for those who wish to extend their stay.
What a beautiful place! There’s plenty of parking spots available and the grounds around the monastery are wonderfully magical! The monastery itself is also lovely, although it was not open for visitors today as there was mass service going on. There’s also a Michelin restaurant here, that we didn’t try, but it sure is located in an amazing setting! Definitely worth a visit and try to explore the surrounding region as well 🥰
André M — Google review
On the outskirts of Kaunas, on a peninsula in the Kaunas Reservoir, stands the Pažaislis Monastery. The monastery and church were built between 1667 and 1712 by Camaldolese monks on the orders of Krzysztof Zygmunt Pac, Chancellor of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. The complex is the largest monastery in Lithuania and the Church of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary with its 54-metre-high dome is one of the most beautiful Baroque buildings in the country. The monastery was transferred to the Russian Orthodox Church by Tsar Nicholas I after the Polish-Lithuanian Uprising of 1831. After three years of vacancy, the monastery came into the hands of the Sisters of St. Casimir in 1920, and the Catholic tradition was revived. Until the sisters were expelled by the communists in 1948 and the monastery was used for various purposes. In 1992 the monastery was returned to the sisters, who now manage the monastery and restore it to its former glory. In the church there is a statue of the Virgin Mary and Child that is considered miraculous. It was a gift from Pope Alexander VII to Krzysztof Pac, who donated the statue to the monastery to increase its appeal. The statue still attracts pilgrims and every year on 2 July a solemn procession with the statue of the Virgin Mary takes place. The monastery and church are quite far from the centre, but are easily accessible by bus (or car), so visit it!

A beautifully maintained monastery – very clean, peaceful, and impressive. There is plenty of parking space, and the surroundings are perfect for a calm walk and reflection. Definitely worth a visit!

Enjoyed the church and history. Quite small so you don't need a huge amount of time. You can have a walk by the lake if the weather is nice..

Mind-blowing experience, well worth the 5 euro student admission fee to experience the crypt and one of the largest marble structures in the region. Highly recommend

The Devils' Museum, also known as Zmuidzinavicius Museum, is a unique and offbeat attraction in Kaunas, Lithuania. It houses a remarkable collection of over 3,000 devil sculptures and carvings from various parts of the world. The museum was initially started by artist Antanas Zmuidzinavicius and has since grown to become a memorial museum dedicated to showcasing these intriguing artworks.
Interesting and fascinating museum, but it's not for everyone. You can rush through it within half an hour, if you just watch the displayed scultures. However, if you take your time to read every tale and interesting detail that are written there you can learn a lot, and I hardly recommend to do it
Tamás M — Google review
If you're into folklore, this is a wonderful place. Lithuanian devils are more like trolls or goblins than the typical judeo-Christian enemy. There's so much fun in here, with lots of stories and historical context provided. You'll learn about witches and cows and blacksmiths too.
Ahimsa K — Google review
A visit to Kaunas isn't complete without an hour spent at the Velnio Muziejus 😈. As the only museum of its kind globally, its very existence speaks to its authenticity and unique cultural significance. The collection, which began with Lithuanian artist Antanas Žmuidzinavičius and has grown to over 3,000 pieces through international donations, is truly global. On its three floors, you'll see how different cultures interpret the devil—from mischievous Lithuanian folk carvings to intricate masks and sculptures from countries like India, Mexico, and Japan. This diversity provides a fascinating, multifaceted look at the mythological creature worldwide. Beyond the static exhibits, the museum incorporates unique art expositions, featuring both contemporary fine and applied arts. These often include creative video shows and modern interpretations that bring a fresh, artistic perspective to the ancient themes. The museum is small enough that you can easily navigate the entire collection in an hour or so, making it a perfect, wonderfully bizarre, and insightful stop if you're in the area. It’s a great piece of Lithuanian eccentricity!
Kestas G — Google review
Great place to see. The devil's museum depicts a lot of Lithuanian follow about devils and depicts the life of Antanas Zmuidzinavicius. His garden and there bottom floor had private collection at pieces. It would be nice if the type would tell you too go from the second floor devils to the third floor devils, then to the second floor apartment. Another great addition would be that the listening app would have different playback speeds.
Sjoerd — Google review
Really interesting one. If you have extra time it’s worth to see. There’s nothing much traditional or historical in that exhibition. However if you have time and got bored in Kaunas :) you can spend your time here.
Erkin Y — Google review
An excellent museum, really unusual. The exhibits were well laid out and each exhibition case was well documented in Lithuanian and English Some great information and interesting mythology from around the world. Took us a couple of hours to see everything but we do read every word! Would recommend a visit. Note: We read a review that said start from the top floor and work down. iMHO - disregard this and work your way up!! Good value for money, nice staff, clean toilets. Definitely qoryh a visit when in Kaunas.
Elaine C — Google review
Not what I was expecting at all. A spell binding experience of beautiful sculptures, fascinating stories and traditions. A must visit if in Kaunas.
Michael L — Google review
Very interesting museum! It was a private collection from a Lithuanian important person, whom was also a painter. I paid 8€ (full price) and I found it very fair, there are 3 floors of masks and different itens related and also another rooms with paintings and "rooms displays" with furniture's that belonged to him. I don't remember seeing any elevator so I am not sure if it is accessible, I would recommend giving them a call before. The navigation was easy with a lot of signals/plates with details and descriptions. I spent around 1h20 to see everything in a slow pace, stopping for 1-2 minutes in some spots and just walking by in others. This museum is just across the street from Kaunas Museum which is also worth the visit.

The M.K. Čiurlionis Museum of Art in Kaunas, Lithuania is a prominent cultural institution dedicated to the life and works of Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis, a renowned Lithuanian composer and artist. The museum boasts an extensive collection of his paintings, musical compositions, and personal belongings, providing visitors with a comprehensive insight into his creative brilliance.
Beautiful museum. We felt an immediate immersion into Lithuanian culture. We had a guided tour with a translator. Milita translated for our group and she was wonderful. We highly recommend the VR Movie. Great experience! Thanks for the unique tour!
Nathan M — Google review
The person at the reception seemed to begrudgingly sell me a ticket. I didn't realise there would be no context on Čiurlionis without buying the audio guide. It's mostly a shame because he is little known outside of Lithuania. The presentation of information throughout the museum is exceptionally variable in general. There was supposedly a new exhibition but it appeared to be closed. It would be useful to have a guided route through the museum to avoid missing things.
Edwin W — Google review
Had a fantastic time at the art museum. M.K. Čiurlionis is the most renowned artist in Lithuania, and there’s even a street named after him in Vilnius. Everyone should see his artwork while visiting the country. Although the layout of the museum isn't completely straightforward, it's manageable. About two hours is enough time to see everything.
Howie — Google review
I really liked the museum. I went on the last Sunday of the month (museums in Lithuania are free them) and I definitely recommend coming early right when they open. I came slightly after 10 and when I was leaving around 11:30, the place was really filling up. It is a very interesting and engaging museum. The artist is quite fascinating as he had many talents. It is also great for families and kids since it has a little play corner and some fun activities. I also bought some beautiful postcards in the gift shop to send to my grandparents.
Kristýna D — Google review
Very nice museum with more then one exhibitions. There was one about Lithuan history, another one related to stars, galaxy and planets, another one related to the ocean. It was a very good visit and I totally recommend it. I paid 10€ (full price) and I found it very fair. The navigation can be a little confusing as there are many rooms and walls with exhibitions but is not like a maze. I spent around 2h to see it all, at a medium pace, stopping for 1-2 minutes in some spots and just walking by in others. I don't remember seeing elevators so I am not sure if it is accessible, I would give a call before, if you need it.
João M — Google review
I'm new to Lithuania, so Ciurlionis is unknown to me. I can't believe he did so much in so short a time. A lot of his works look like they could be 70s SF novel covers or heavy metal album covers, and to me that's the highest compliment.
Ahimsa K — Google review
A must-see museum of art named after a famous and prolific painter, writer, composer Čiurlionis, who spoke Polish all his life and fell in love with a young girl, Sofija. In the souvenir shop you can get two books of Čiurlionis letters in original Polish with a translation into Lithuanian and lots of additional information on life and people of his time, poets, painters, writers and other artists, and family members, Warsaw, Petersburg, Palanga, Vilnius, but most of all, about his beloved Sofija.
Piotr W — Google review
If you had only time to visit one museum when in Kaunas, then I would say it the National art museum. The building is a treasure itself. From Liberty Avenue is is just a very short walk away. The access is easy and checking both opening times and changing exhibitions before a visit is recommendable. Admission is 10euros. Enjoy!

The dioramas, which recreate natural environments, are particularly impressive and help to bring the exhibits to life. One of the museum's strongest points is its educational focus. It caters to students, researchers, and casual visitors alike. Interactive displays and detailed information plaques provide deep insights into the animal kingdom, making it an excellent resource for learning.
Matan T — Google review
If you’re in Kaunas I highly recommend a trip here. So many animals. The displays spread out over several floors. A lot more animals than I thought. Myself and my friend throughly enjoyed the visit and stayed about 90 minutes looking at all the animals and creatures.
James N — Google review
Very nice place to visit. Every month Sunday is free. But the ticket are not expensive. The exhibition is huge. Three floors. Worth it!

🦴 Zoological Museum – fascinating and full of discoveries 🦋 A great place to explore the diversity of the animal world. The museum has a large number of exhibits, from tiny insects to impressive large animals. Every room offers something interesting, whether you’re into marine life, birds, or mammals. It’s well-organized, educational, and perfect for a calm, curious visit. A must for anyone interested in nature and science.
Elena V — Google review
This museum is conveniently located. Laisvės Alley is smooth. The museum collections are very informative and colorful. There are exhibits that show animals in the wild. Some exhibits are about 100 years old. But... how many animals have died and been stuffed...
Olga A — Google review
A very nice experience. It’s fascinating to see the animals up close and observe the details of their bodies—something that’s impossible in a zoo. The museum even includes some rare specimens, such as a 200 kg flounder and a saber-toothed deer. Some of the specimens even have amusing, expressive looks (see the last photo), so I recommend starting on the lowest level to lift your spirits right at the beginning of your visit.
Michal Š — Google review
Surprisingly good museum packed with collections of insects, shells, fossils and stuffed animals. It was so interesting I ended up spending much longer there than I anticipated. Excellent value for money.
Michael L — Google review
A lot of exhibits are missing descriptions and information, quite a few exhibits repeat themselves and many exhibits just have Latin names. There is no context why they are grouped in a certain way other than they belong to the same species. What stood out were animals that looked like got killed during hunting trips, some animals were dated to as recent as 2016. It’s not clear whether these animals were killed just for the museum, or somebody did it for fun and then donated them etc. I understand that it’s for educational purposes and mainly all items date back to early 20th century. But the museum presentation and overall feel feels outdated and some items are morally questionable.

The Cathedral-Basilica of St. Peter and St. Paul, also known as the Kaunas Cathedral, is a centuries-old Gothic structure located in the old town of Kaunas. Its lavishly appointed interior features gold leaf details and houses an icon from the 17th century that is believed to have performed miracles. The exterior, entirely made of red brick, showcases a blend of Gothic and Renaissance architectural styles.
Absolutely gorgeous old baroque church. Definitely worth seeing!

What a wonderful mass the coir was outstanding the preaching was next level. I enjoyed the mass during my weekend trip to Lithuania. If I have to say about the architecture it was so perfectly carved and well maintained. Sunday morning mass the church was almost all mix of young and elderly what a great community. There were sovereign gifts too.

Kaunas Cathedral is a stunning mix of Gothic, Baroque, and Renaissance styles, making it one of Lithuania’s most impressive churches. It’s perfect for a peaceful visit—just be mindful of church services. The main altar and side chapels are beautiful, and it’s worth exploring the nearby Old Town afterward. Remember to dress modestly, and photography might be restricted. Enjoy the peaceful atmosphere, and take your time soaking in the history!

The few times I visited Kaunas I always made sure to see it. It's one of the most beautiful cathedral I saw in my life! The colors and atmosphere are so nice inside and we can really feel peaceful once inside
Lea M — Google review
This church has retained its solemn Gothic appearance from the outside. Decorative elements from later periods are quite well integrated inside. The paintings were painted by the Italian Andriolli. He came to the city with Napoleon's army. It seems like a love story and he stayed in Kaunas. I'm not sure if all the pictures are his. You can check it yourself. And during services, listen to the powerful organ.

Very beautiful church that doesn’t ask for any payment to enter. We happily donated 2euros. Please don’t light candles on the seats. The old staff has hard time removing hardened candle :(

The Vytautas the Great War Museum in Kaunas, Lithuania is a constantly updated military museum that offers a comprehensive look at Lithuanian and global military history. The exhibitions feature historical armor, weaponry collections, and personal belongings of important military figures like Silvestras Zukauskas. One of its notable displays is the wreckage of the Lituanica, a famous airplane that attempted to cross the Atlantic in 1933.
A fantastic museum full of exhibits and information. It is well laid out over three floors and nearly all exhibits have English translations available.
Baking B — Google review
A pretty good collection of historical relics. The tickets and also the souvenirs are cheap and worth their prices. However, the name of the museum is misleading. It technically displays tools, weapons, vehicles and uniforms from several period of history, and the Great War section is only just one part of it. Other than this, I really recommend to visit this museum, if you are in Kaunas
Tamás M — Google review
Wonderful museum covering all of Lithuanian military history from the earliest human occupation 9f the area right up to the present day. Most exhibits are labeled in English as well as Lithuanian.

Jack S — Google review
Very affordable, only €5 for entry Broad range of weapons from various historical eras
Mark J — Google review
Was a little bit disappointed with this museum. We were hoping that our visit would provide more clarity on Lithuania's recent history. Whilst the museum is well laid out and the exhibits are well presented and labelled, the way the information is presented for each hall is not easy to digest! (Or read for people of a certain age). Presenting the key facts in a different format might help foreign visitors to get a better understanding of the Lithuania's complex history. The museum is worth a visit but with a little more thought it could be so much better. Don't miss the crashed plane!!
Elaine C — Google review
Very good exposition! Highly recommend to all weapons lovers.
Ecu L — Google review
The museum has several halls with exhibitions: history of Lithuania; weapons, ruling dynasties, sad pages (the wreckage of the Lituanica plane, deportations). Nearby in the park there are sculptures: the Statue of Liberty with an interesting history; Eternal flame near a hill of stones from battlefields; behind this are carved Lithuanian crosses; bookseller; mother and daughter at work, “with a secret” - a peasant sows rye. On the other side of the building is the Museum of the artist and composer M.K. Cherlenis.

Took the "Žiegždrių Geologinis Takas (trail)" parallel to, and eventually down the stairs to, the water. Approximately 1 mile round-trip, so a short walk but you can stretch it out by spending some time along the shore collecting rocks.

Fascinating! I'd say if someone asks how to describe this park in one word. Lagoon park is huge it occupies about 10% territory of Lithuania, shore length around the lagoon is more then 200 km. So lots of stuff is here. If you want to have full experience you must live here. But if you don't  have much time and you'd like to see something. I'd recommend to start from public or private boat tour. Public tours are great, because naturalist or historian might travel together. Naturalist explains about plants and animals which lives here, historian about will tell about the history of this place, historic battles and historic places which are near this lagoon.

When Kaunas hydro power station was built in the 1950-ies, river Nemunas's water rose up and erosion created a unique landscape. When walking by the coast don't be afraid to take the smallest, (sometimes even animal) trails, then the real beauty of the open spaces, 15 meter high cliffs interchanging forest types (which go from coniferous to deciduous), will shine ! I think that the prettiest time to visit this region is from October to beginning of November and from late March to beginning of May.

Highly recommend either for a couple of hours hike or for a day trip. Various areas o access to the water, firepits and trails. Rare access by car. Normally several 100 meters of walk through green forest. Recommend using bug repellent.

The Museum of the History of Lithuanian Medicine and Pharmacy in Lithuania is a fascinating attraction that showcases the development of medicine and pharmacy in the country. Housed in an old pharmacy building since 1936, this museum features a diverse collection of artifacts and tools used in medicine, including books, vials, and other pharmaceutical accessories.
Interesting place and exhibition with authentic pieces, nice and helpful staff. You can find most of the information also in German and English there.

A relatively small, but very interesting museum, in an old building that perfectly adds to the atmosphere of the exhibition. Here you can see old medical and dental instruments and tools, as well as pharmacology equipment, from the ancient times of Lithuania up until the 20th century. However, be aware that some human remains (like skulls) are also presented among the exhibits. I think this is necessary in a scientific museum of this kind, but I'm writing it just in case some people are sensitive or may find it offensive, for whatever reason. The staff was very friendly, they guided me through the various rooms, and explained what to expect to see in each one of them. Each room is equipped with a catalogue of exhibits, available in various languages. The ticket price at the moment of writing (July 2024) is €2.00, which I think is great value for money. Be aware, though, that one can pay only in cash. There is also a short brochure available both in Lithuanian and English, for free. It's sad, though, that there is no museum catalogue/ book available. That's something I'd liked to see in a future visit :)
Michail D — Google review
This little museum is very interesting. It's set up like an old pharmacy, with the customer facing shop, the area where medications were made, as well as medical instruments and chairs. Though honestly, the old time fire extinguisher might have been my favorite.

Very educational. A lot of ancient tolls and health machines.

Rich collection of items, but poorly presented. Solid descriptions of items are missing. Drug store room was full of interesting items, drugs and chemicals, but it was impossible to see them - they ought to be closer or not behind the glass.

For me as a pharmacy student was this place really beatufil! Exhibition looks nice and guide was amazing, she kows everything! We saw also medicine department of the museum with many gadgets. I recommed this place everyone, also not-pharmacy people.

The most interesting museum I have ever been to. Just after coming in authentic building and friendly personnel meets you. Lots of exhibits dating from 1000 years old till ones of 20th century. The cost is also ridiculously low. Just 1€ for students and 2€ for adults. During the visit I was constantly narrated about history of medice and pharmycy which was much more interesting, than just reading information tables. Also even thought I am not pharmasist or doctor the museum managed to really engage me with lots of bizarre facts and stories. Truly big thanks for the dedicated staff. I recommend to visit this museum for anyone who is in Kaunas. Undoubtedly one of a kind.

Basilica
Church
Nestled in the heart of Kaunas, Christ's Resurrection Church stands as a stunning testament to modern architecture and historical resilience. Originally constructed in the 1930s, this remarkable basilica transitioned from a Soviet power station to a radio factory before being consecrated as a church in 2004. Its striking Art Deco design makes it one of the most beautiful examples of sacred architecture in the region, and it proudly holds the title of the largest basilical church across the Baltic States.
Well worth a visit if you’re in Kaunas. A decent walk up plenty of steps to get to the church! The entrance is on the far side, through a massive wooden door. Not wanting to get a sweat on we got the lift to the roof, which is now €5 each. The views are fantastic and worth every penny. You can also go in the actual church too.
Ned L — Google review
An absolutely stunning church. As you approach and see the full size of the church it is definitely a "wow" moment. It is simply huge and very stark. The simplicity of design continues inside. It feels minimalist and very modern but stil very beautiful. We loved the interpretation of the Stations of the Cross and the stain glass windows. No visit to this church can be complete without a trip up to the roof! We were lazy (well it was very warm) and took the lift. The views, and the perspective this vantage point provides, are definitely worth the 5 Euro fee.
Elaine C — Google review
Fantastic views from top to Kaunas city, but too much fees charges for ticket I think! Could be less about 2-3 euros, not 5 💸🤑 If One time saw another time will not go again 👆
Artūras — Google review
Worth visiting this church but it is not as beautiful as some of the others. Architecturally and historically it is important and has a fascinating history. The view from the top is ok but also not the best.

In the heart of Kaunas Old Town, the House of Perkūnas stands as a striking 15th-century red-brick Hanseatic merchant's house. This historic building is open for tours, art exhibitions, and concerts. As you wander through the cobbled streets of the Old Town, you'll encounter this ornamental red brick facade that distinguishes itself along the riverfront.
Unfortunately, this museum is opened only once a week and this situation doesn’t enable much people to see it inside - including me. As a Pole, I am pleased with the subject matter and the commemoration of Mickiewicz. Outside the house looks incredible, great example of gothic architecture. The details are impressive. Tip - there are nearby murals dedicated to our poet. There is even a box in which Pan Tadeusz is hidden. It moves you deeply!
Alicja W — Google review
A bit mystical building in Kaunas) You're strolling through the Old Town and suddenly notice this house. It amazes with a strange gothic architecture and its rich history. This building was built as merchant's office. Then it eas sold to Jesuits and was used as a chapel and school. You can get inside now and take a look at this building but it could be closed temporarily. Anyway, it's a must-see attraction in Kaunas)
Iryna P — Google review
One of the few surviving Gothic-style houses. Only this time I noticed similar decorative elements to those on St. Anne's Church in Vilnius. You could call this house's style "Flamboyant Gothic." It's eye-catching and captivating. A very beautiful house.
Olga A — Google review
The House of Perkūnas is a beautiful and historically significant building in the heart of Kaunas. Its Gothic architecture stands out and adds character to the Old Town. It’s definitely worth a quick visit if you’re exploring the area. While the facade is impressive and well-preserved, the overall experience didn’t quite have a “wow” effect. It’s more of a visual landmark than a place to spend a lot of time, unless you’re deeply interested in local history or architecture. Still, a charming and elegant stop on any Kaunas walking tour!
Maximilian M — Google review
Magnificent building. It is a must see during visit in Kaunas. Just take few steps from central market and you travel in time to medieval times. Whole facade is very astonishing with it's intricate decorations. Maybe the surroundings isn't medieval at all, the house defends itself.
Michał K — Google review
Amazing looking old building, I couldn't enter, as it was not open, but beautiful to see even from outsida.
Henri ( — Google review
Unfortunately the visit to the house is possible only with appointment during summer. The external design is really interesting as it is has a lot of details which differentiate it from other gothic buildings with red bricks in Kaunas.

Kaunas City Museum is currently hosting a joint exhibition with the MO Museum, shedding light on the historical relationship between Kaunas and Vilnius. The museum showcases traditional Lithuanian instruments like kankles and birbynes, offering workshops and demonstrations for visitors. Additionally, the museum features a national music department that delves into contemporary Lithuanian traditional music and cultural context. Outside, visitors can admire a 16th-century gothic-style building housing national musical instruments.
This museum has been renovated quite recently and it shows you the history of Kaunas and its surroundings. Quite modern with NFC tags all around the place, where you'll be able to listen to an audio or interact with certain exhibitions. Also, you'll be able to see the city from the tower. The ladies at the reception were very friendly as well.

Kaunas city museum is in the city hall building, it’s not something that impressive but seems brand new, I liked mostly the white room. Recommend it if you want to learn more for the city’s history. There is entrance fee.
Maria A — Google review
I was surprised of the prepared exposition in the museum. It was presented fragmentally from the first begging of city evolving times till the nowadays' viewpoints in landscaping, infrastructure - everything in city life comforts. The most incredibly surprising present was Laimė's Kiškūnė's creation twice in exhibition. I was amused by real smoke, site of fire and dirtiness restoration in smell from middle ages on our land. It was quite detailed presented the life of middle ages people in new cross merchant road town in GDL to feel that time people surroundings and behavior reasons and other times. Museum with latest technologies of guide to use for viewers and individual restrooms for visitors.

I registered for a simulator on 14:00 when I was near their door I called them letting them know that I'm here the staff said "ill call the guy who needs to let in simulator" and we waited 20min and nothing. Then the staff said that he can't give money back and there was an argument. After this the "fight sim guy" finally got there gave money back and we left. Horrible experience. Not recommend.

The National Kaunas Drama Theater, located on Laisves Avenue, is a historic and popular destination in Kaunas. The theater boasts good sound quality, visibility from the balcony, and clean restrooms. The staff is efficient even during peak times, and the administration is accommodating to latecomers for performances.
This is the one and the only drama theatre in Kaunas. I can tell you that theater is really popular, tickets are sold out very early. From recording music hits to simulating ambulance rides and space flights, kids can immerse themselves in various experiences either independently or with newfound friends. 💯 % spot on. A great place for children up to 12 years old. Immersive kinesthetic activities, a building site, fire station, police car, boat, climbing play, slide, ball pit, ambulance, dentist... the list goes on and on. I am happy to be left here with our son whilst my wife explores the shops in Mega 😀

Awesome place, my little one enjoyed it, however, the speakers are too loud (the ones that are used for communication). Overall nice place, wish the ground in the baby area would be softer
Julius L — Google review
It was my first time visiting the play area at Mega, and I must say, I was very disappointed. I went there with my 6-month-old baby, who, like all babies, puts everything in their mouth. But after seeing the condition of the place (I’ll attach a photo), I was truly shocked. The cleanliness and hygiene standards were far from acceptable, especially for a space meant for babies. I absolutely wouldn’t recommend bringing little ones there.

Interesting indoor place to spend time for kids from 4-6 years. To explore everything kids should be able to read by themselves. Child from 6 years old could stay alone, for 4-5 years old child to stay alone you will need to pay additional 2 eur. Entrance allowed only with 🧦. We visited second time and found some new things like real police smart car. Kids liked the best construction playground and cosmos area. In general all was fine but it was a bit overcrowded even on weekday and too noisy especially from loudspeaker.

Nestled near the childhood home of George Maciunas, the Kaunas Picture Gallery (a subdivision of the M. K. Čiurlionis Art Museum) is a vibrant hub for contemporary art enthusiasts. This gallery recently showcased an impressive retrospective exhibition titled "Learning Garden of Freedom," featuring works by renowned nonconformist artist Yoko Ono, which spanned various creative mediums including conceptual art and performance pieces.
Lovers of modern art - go ahead! To be honest, the second floor seemed a bit boring because of lack of interaction but in general, if you wonder to see Soviet modernist architecture, it's definitely a place to see. The first floor seemed more promising with its modern art installations and a nice hipster cafe to chill out.

A must-visit for tourists. You can feel a vibe of conceptual and contemporary art here) There are crowds of people on weekends. It is a contemporary art museum where you can find masterpieces and performances by not only Lithuanian artists but also very world-famous names. You need around two hours to explore the exhibitions which combine all forms of contemporary art from paintings and applied art to installations, videos, photos and performances. Performances and exhibitions are best suited for adults. You can enjoy permanent exhibitions as well as temporary expositions held at the museum. In my view, the main highlight of the gallery is temporary solo exhibitions. They change once or twice a month. There is a café and a souvenir shop. If you love contemporary or conceptual art, you should visit it. My recommendation!

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit here in the city, and was able to travel here via scooter! Me and my partner specifically came here for the Marina Abramovic exhibition 'memory of being' featuring some of her early works up to her most recent. The staff on entry were friendly and helpful, and the building itself is something worth passing by due to its concrete architecture. The curation of the exhibition was simple but beautifully done with audio carefully placed so you could hear each video! Additionally there were 3 rooms on different floors gradually moving through her work in chronological order, featuring some of her most well known pieces and ones I've not come across before!

The 9th Fort of the Kaunas Fortress, originally built by the Russian Tsar in the 1800s, has a haunting history as a Nazi execution site during World War II. It now stands as a museum and memorial to the 50,000 Lithuanians and Jews who lost their lives there. The massive monument erected on the site serves as a solemn reminder of this tragic past.

Beautiful place marked by history. The fort has a very interesting museum and the exterior, including the monument, is a sacred place. I recommend going in the spring season to see all the vegetation in bloom, seemingly in contrast with the history written here.

If you want to understand something of the history of the region in the 20th century, this fortress gives a good overview. I had no idea that the Lithuanians continued to resist the Soviet occupation well into the 1950s. If you go by bus, remember to press the stop button before you reach the stop. I didn't and ended up a mile or two in the wrong direction.

Beautiful place with a sad history. Good for a visit if you love history and its a nice walk. There is stuff in England for does who dont speak lithuanian. Staff a very friendly and helpful. Would visit again.

Jurgis ir Drakonas in Kaunas is a charming spot to savor unique ice cream flavors like carrot or salted sunflower seeds. Additionally, they offer refreshing desserts with black bread or buckwheat. This Lithuanian chain, founded by a British-Lithuanian couple, is known for its wood-fired pizzas featuring fluffy and crispy dough with various toppings such as tuna and hamburger. Visitors can also enjoy Detroit-style pizzas that are rich and crispy with homemade tomatoes and pepperoni.

I got vegan bread and fried potato. It was the most less delicious thing I have ever eaten. The waitress woman was so impatient and surly. I didn’t like the attitude of her as a customer. I don’t recommend it.

I love this restaurant (we visited it the two nights we spent in Kaunas!)! The pizzas are delicious, the place is super cozy and the waitress is mega friendly (and she can speak English!). It deserves five stars! The service is very quick and this is a bonus. Thank you!

So friendly staff with great quality of food. Definitely recommend! -------- Update April 10, 2022 20:28: I have been sitting here for more 20 minutes and no waitress has come to check on me even though they saw me enter. That's very disappointing and I am leaving a 1 star as it's pretty late for any other restaurant to visit on a Sunday night in Lithuania.

I strongly believe that this is Kaunas's best pizza restaurant. I highly recommend trying their signature 'Weekend in Hawaii' and the 'Beast of Kaunas'."

Nice atmosphere, very popular for families, located in the old town of kaunas so expect to find many tourists there, in the evening and in the weekends it's better to book in advance as you might have to wait for long time. Pizza is so tasty and staff speak English

The KGB Atomic Bunker Museum, located in the former KGB headquarters, provides a comprehensive look into the Sovietisation of the region and the resistance it faced. The museum features an authentic KGB prison and execution room, along with modern exhibitions that delve into 20th-century repressions and freedom struggles. Additionally, visitors can explore a genuine bunker built to protect Soviet leaders during a nuclear attack and view exhibits commemorating victims of the regime.
Super interesting experience. I’m from Lithuania and I went to the museum with my fiancée from Sweden. Both of us really enjoyed the tour, the stories and mind blowing amount of artefacts from soviet times. Our guide Monika was incredibly knowledgeable. I would recommend this experience if you’re interested in Lithuania’s past, KGB and soviet union in general.
Meda S — Google review
This is a fascinating place with an equally fascinating history. You must book on a tour to visit. We got the wonderful Monika who is so knowledgable. We also had a walking tour with her the day before (also check this out on freetours). There are so many exhibits to see. You will be guided around many of them and also some free time to explore yourself. You will see some real uniform items used in the filming of TV series Chernobyl as well as the largest gas mask collection!
Baking B — Google review
It is a really cool private museum in Kaunas. You need to reach out to them via email in order to visit the place. If you want to visit the place without joining to an another group, then they have a +50 euro additional fee. We paid 15 euro per person, no card payment possible, only cash. Accessable with public transport, with bus number 7 for example, but multiple buses are going that way, 1 euro for a single ticket - can be bought contactless with card. It is a really interesting museum in an old atomic bunker basement. Worth to visit.

Great tour! I went to a tour over there (Note; despite its name it's not a standard museum with fixed opening times, it's a tour through plenty of items/memorabilia from soviet times that has to be arranged beforehand by email) which I arranged with Monika through several emails. I was told it would be 16 euros per person and that's the price I was charged, so they are quite trustworthy. This exhibition is located in the outskirts of Kaunas, in the courtyard of a building where there are some offices and surrounded bu a warehouse and a large supermarket. Our tour, which took place at 13 30 on the 19th of september, friday, was great! It was conducted by a lovely not-quite-tall lady who was quite knowledgeable about life in Lithuania during soviet times, she explained and told us plenty of things about what normal life was like in Lithuania during soviet times. She was that funny, knowledgeable and explained things in such an interesting way that we felt compelled to tip her at the end of our tour. If you are into history this tour is a MUST! We stayed in Vilnius, we went on a day trip to Kaunas and this was the best museum we visited on our time there (and believe me, we went to a few museums over there). Definitely, this tour is not to be missed by anyone who's interested in history.
Diego R — Google review
Great tour. Thank you, Monica. I walked past town entrance twice before I found it but once in, it is well worth the visit. Make sure you book a tour in advance.
Ian U — Google review
I don't want to give too much away about the museum as I would really urge others to visit it themselves. We went on a guided tour and our guide, Monika, did an exceptional job of bringing all the artefacts to life for us. The collection is extensive and impressive, especially for a private collection. The tour focuses on the large collection and explaining how different items were used by normal citizens, NKVD/KGB officers and USSR leaders themselves. At the end of the 2 hour long tour there is enough time to check out the gift shop, and to wander around the collection and interact with artefacts yourself, with your tour guide's permission. Notable items include Lipstick guns, firesuits used at chernobyl, and the first ever gasmask model. My visit has left a positive lasting impression that I won't forget anytime soon. Thank you Monika.
Emily A — Google review
Make sure you check the website and book your visit. This place was a trip! Very interesting and the owner and guide were great to talk with and have a ton of information about the history of KGB and their tactics and tools.
Mike D — Google review
This was a highlight of our short stay in Kaunas. The museum has a nondescript entrance, but once you go through to the back courtyard and enter the building, there are multiple floors filled with an incredible number of items relating to both KGB, history and methods or equipment, but also some aspects of life in Lithuania over the past century. This is like no museum you’ve ever seen, as everything is piled on top of other items, and many of them you can pick up and touch. The museum guide Monica was extremely knowledgeable and personable, and had a fun way of spicing up her commentary with interactive questions and jokes. But it’s just an amazing way to learn about how atomic bomb shelters were built and regulated during the Cold War. 200 installations just like this one were built in Poland, and certainly a large number in Lithuania and other countries as well. They were never utilized other than for drills (this one apparently also served as a dance hall) since there were no nuclear bombs dropped. But, the facility is still fascinating to see, with its heavy, double doors, air filtration systems, areas for food storage, sleeping, etc. The owner of the museum has simply collected a massive amount of memorabilia, including hundreds of different types of gas masks, radio equipment, Geiger counters, as well as secret briefcases or suit buttons with cameras, lipstick cases that shoot bullets, etc. It’s a one and a half hour tour that definitely will teach you about one aspect of Soviet society that most people know nothing about. Definitely worth the time, but wear some comfortable shoes, as you will be on your feet for an hour and a half.

Višta puode, which translates to "chicken in a pot," is a charming restaurant that serves as a cafe during the day and transforms into a seasonally-focused eatery at night. The menu features an array of chicken-based dishes, including soups, stews, grilled and baked options with crispy skin. Despite its name, Višta puode also offers delicious vegetarian dishes. The restaurant takes pride in reviving old Lithuanian recipes with a modern twist.
Such a wonderful experience! The food was bursting with authentic Lithuanian flavours — every dish felt like a little trip to Vilnius. The seasoning and presentation were spot on, and you could tell a lot of care went into the cooking. Our waitress was incredibly kind and attentive, making us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. If you’re looking for a place that combines great food with genuine hospitality, this is it!

Sadly had a really bad experience. The staff seemed stressed when we arrived and asked if we had a booking. We didn't but they fitted us in. Orders were taken quite quickly, however the two staff got very confused over what we had ordered. Drinks arrived after 15 mins, however we waited over an hour to recieve any food. The starter we ordered never arrived at all, but was on the bill anyway. The main courses arrived within a few minutes once we asked for the bill to leave after one hour waiting. Sadly, the chicken dish was burnt and also cold, the veggie meal was tasty, but some of the celeriac in it was still raw. Both dishes were very small and we left feeling hungry. The Negroni cocktail wasn't well made. Having arrived at 5pm hoping for a quick quiet dinner, we were disappointed. Our hotel had recommended this place and we had high hopes. Very expensive for two very small dinner portions. The staff spoke good English, kept apologising, but I believe they need more staff in the kitchen and a better ordering system, to ensure starters aren't missed. Very disappointing.

The food took a long time to arrive, which was frustrating. The chicken on beetroot bread was tasty, and the white baked cheese was enjoyable. However, the chicken soup was far too salty and the chicken itself was very dry. Several dishes listed on the menu were unavailable, which was disappointing and limited our options.

An excellent experience all around. The food was great, service was excellent and friendly (thanks to Smiltė for her remarkable service and friendliness!). The food and drinks came quickly, the portion sizes were just fine, and it was all very tasty. I had the fried bread as appetizer (a Lithuanian delicacy) and Samogitian pancakes as entree and was very satisfied. The berry ice cream as dessert was also excellent. I went on a Tuesday for a late lunch, and didn't need a reservation.

The soups were very good. I ordered some grilled chicken and my husband the beef stew. He liked his food, I wasn’t impressed. If I would have known that I’ll receive half a chicken I would not have ordered this as I don’t eat the most part of it. On the plate were few potatoes and an apple. At the end I was hungry and paid more than 50€.

The Lithuanian Zoo, located in one of Europe's largest oak forests in Kaunas, is a family-friendly destination dedicated to conservation and education. The zoo aims to acquaint the public with the world's diversity of fauna and promote awareness for the preservation of biological diversity. It features various mammals, birds, and reptiles housed in old-fashioned enclosures amid mature oak trees.
I really enjoyed it a lot - its nothing like it used to be. Probably it even looks better than some counterparts in EU. I spent there around 3 hours. Animals looks like enjoying their life - live in most open areas they can be. Many animals are sharing living space - like birds and turtles. I think thats a great concept that they live in “lifelike” conditions. Really worth the visit - especially given the price.

Very nice zoo with plenty to see. Most of the animals we managed to see on the day, beautiful birds, lizards and fish. Everything looked brand new. And also there is enough chairs to sit down, cafe and toilets are available too. Tickets €15. Some of the places you can see the animals and birds just around you without any borders which was amazing immersive experience.
Indy R — Google review
Visited a couple times - the space was always clean, not too crowded. The zoo is pretty big, has lots of different animal species. There were a couple places where the information board was missing - that might be the only downside of my visits. Overall great experience, I especially enjoyed the inside exposition of different zones - reptiles, rodents, birds and etc. Birds zone was especially fun, because some birds were flying freely around the space, rather than being in cages.
Eva — Google review
Quite a small zoo but quite suitable for a two hour tour and enough animals to see. The eagles only had pitifully small cages considering they were flying. Adult ticket 15€ and child ticket 7.50€

An absolutely lovely zoo! The animals look very nicely cared for and they have beautiful big enclosures. The central pavilion with terraria, aquaria and tropical animals also has a great design. :) It is noticeable that some things are still undergoing reconstruction and the zoo is doing its best to improve any shortcomings or older enclosures which is definitely a plus in my book. We'll visit again when we're in Lithuania. :)

Lithuanina Zoo is really nice place to visit ant it is after renovation now. Our family enjoyed the time in zoo. There are not only different animals (outside, inside the buildings, but also a lot of activities for different age of children (interactive space inside, children playground, cafe and even painting exhibition etc.). Our little one especially enjoyed exotarium - I liked it a lot myself! Exotic animals (iguanas, snakes, fishes, turtles etc.) are so close and easy to see their activities 🙂 The staff of zoo is very kind and helpf and seems that they love animals very much 🙂 Highly recommend to visit Lithuanian Zoo! You have to think about where you will park your car from the start of the school year. It can be crowded.

Zoopark is an interactive zoo located within the MEGA shopping center. It offers a variety of activities for families and friends, including guided tours, opportunities to hold and feed animals, and the option to book a separate room for events like birthday parties. The zoo features turtles, guinea pigs, bunnies, and other animals that visitors can interact with. While some find it small and crowded at times, it's generally recommended for children due to its engaging animal encounters.
We had a great time feeding the animals here! You can purchase food for rabbits, guinea pigs, chickens and birds. Yes it's very small here but it's such a charming experience to be so close with the cute animals. The animals were well looked after and in good health. Recommended for 1 hour visit, you won't need longer than this really.

Nice small zoo park inside a huge shopping mall MEGA. Walking and wandering around turtles is a nice experience and children loved it a lot. Pig guineas and bunnies in their homes can be visited and touched, petted which is also an amazing thing. Maybe it could be a little bigger, now it feels squeezed, otherwise if not too crowded, I recommend it for children :) mostly.
Gaja Š — Google review
The zoo is tiny and the price entrance is okay. The animals seem very well taken care and healthy. Sadly, you cannot handle nor touch any animal. (At least the goats wanted for some head pets) It is a cute time that could have been more enjoyable if the staff could pay more attention to the visitors. None seemed to either know english neither knowledged me for assistance (being this the only place in Lithuania I have encountered I was not able to communicate with the staff) It clearly seems they prioritize families with little kids, while adults are just left there. I bought some food to feed the bats and it took a long period of time to finally reach any staff member to feed the bats. The staff clearly seem to focus more on cleaning and feeding the animals with little to no motivation for visitors which it made me feel not very welcomed... I doubt i am coming back on my next visit if the staff stays with the same unwelcoming and cold treatment to visitors. :(

Talutti is a popular spot with a varied menu including pizza, burgers, salads, macaroni, pancakes and more. The portions are generous and reasonably priced at around 6-7 euros per meal. Despite being crowded at times, the staff provides quick and friendly service. The food is served promptly and is described as fresh and juicy with plenty of options to choose from. Some customers were pleasantly surprised by the fast delivery and good service despite not being big fans of the place initially.

Ah, McDonald's—a beloved fast-food institution that has stood the test of time! This iconic chain is synonymous with juicy burgers and crispy fries, making it a go-to spot for many. I fondly recall my childhood adventures in Vilnius, where visits to cultural landmarks like the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre were often topped off with a trip to McDonald's. It was always an exciting treat!
We got two large fries instead of one, can‘t complain… Best chicken nuggets I ever had in my life…

The food was delay by 40 minutes., our order number was 615 and they already served 640 and still our order was not delivered. And we went and asked then they’ve prepared the order , with cold burgers and French fries without salt .. really pathetic experience and worst Mc Donald’s ever in my lifetime

Third, maybe half of normal portion of ice-cream (no other mcdonalds has such a small portion). Other topic - when asked, administrator or person in charge said that she doesnt care about this issue and dowsnt care if all other mcdonalds are doing it differently. Very poor training of how to talk to cistomers and very poor general attitude towards service. (Person in charge was Eigirde - if staff was not lying, given the whole situation of customer experience..).

Went to drive through- We ordered File o fish menu with extra cheese , fries and sauce, specifically asked her to repeat the order(she forgot extra cheese and sauce, then we corrected her - she said yeah, fine. When we paid, she forgot to put sauce to the bill so we paid for it separately and reminded her again about the sauce and cheese, she said- I remember. What do you think happened when we got the order? She forgot sauce and the cheese. Unbelievable Worst McDonald’s in Europe.

McDonalds Worst customer service ever. I entered McDonalds around 22:40, I ordered at the self order machine and chose to pay at counter. At 22:45~ i stood in front of 2 empty counters and waited for 15 min to pay for my order so they can start it in the kitchen. And i wish i just waited, i had to shout out loud “excuse me” just to get their attention. And in response one of the employees pointed at his hand as at a watch telling me “my shift is done”. But he still came and said it. Immediately afterwards he said “you should come and help us work”, and it wasn’t in a very nice way. Exactly at 23:00 i paid for the order and they started it. I had order N•861. After 20 minutes i saw my number and another one vanish from the screen and the other order guy asked why it happened, which to they responded “it’s ready” and he got his order so i figured mine is on its way too. I had a big order, and i saw all i order being ready, but not packed and not touched at all. I still patiently waited. But after 10 minutes i couldn’t hold it much and started calling any employee to answer me. I showed the check and said “if my food is among the ready ones from 10 minutes ago, i don’t want them, cuz they are already cold and i have to walk back to hotel with it”. They called the manager, checked the food, the employee comes back and says “if you want new you gotta wait”. I asked her “is it gonna be another 40-50 minutes of wait?”(tbh i think i didn’t look very nice saying it, after all that yk). She responded very dry “yeah exactly”. Is that customer service? Anyways i said to pack what they’ve prepared already just to get out of there, but even that i couldn’t do because all the doors were locked, how is that even logical and safe? There were more than 50 people in there, in case of emergency there is no exit?!? Amazing!) i had to go back to tell them to open it. Turns out there were at least 10 people who wanted to get out, but i was the one who were brave enough to talk. Other than all that while waiting main order i noticed many things. Employees work slow and dirty, hair out of hats, no gloves(i saw a girl putting the beef with bare hand), who knows where that hand was. At desert counter no one standing and i had to call them to come to me. I mean come on guys. Europe? Where i come from, in McDonalds we never wait more than 5 minutes (in case the order is as big as mine). Their hair never out and impossible to see an employee w no gloves(and they change them consistently). This situation didn’t bring down my opinion about McDonalds, but Lithuanian enthusiasm to work properly.

Exceptional Stay – Truly Outstanding Service! We recently stayed at the Radisson in Kaunas and had an absolutely wonderful experience. I was in town for surgery at the nearby Nord Clinic, and the support we received from the hotel staff was beyond exceptional. Every single member of the team was kind, attentive, and went out of their way to ensure our comfort—nothing was ever too much trouble. The rooms were immaculate, spacious, and thoughtfully designed for relaxation, which was especially important during my recovery. Every detail was spotless, and the atmosphere throughout the hotel was calm and welcoming. Breakfast each morning was a delight, with a wide variety of fresh, delicious options to suit every taste. It really set the tone for the day and exceeded our expectations in both quality and selection. We truly cannot fault a single thing about our stay. The Radisson Kaunas provided not just accommodation, but a warm and supportive environment that made all the difference during a critical time. Highly recommended—we’ll definitely return whenever we’re in Kaunas again!

The water is full of algae so you cannot swim. Millions of little blue and green algae, this ecosystem is collapsing. The water stinks and there are many flies. I don't know how anyone can enjoy this. You can look from 5 meter distance and have the illusion of beautiful nature but this ecosystem is very polluted. Also many people leave trash everywhere. Very sad.

This is a modern interactive museum where you can play musical instruments, listen to the music and create musical compositions! Cool place)) There's a great collection of traditional Lithuanian musical instruments and the separate building with unique old piano and keyboard. You will get only positive emotions! I definitely recommend this museum. It would be interesting to visit both kids and adults. Extremely positive feedback from me)

Nice and tidy museum. Besides the selection of traditional Lithuanian music organs it has a number of interactive exhibitions which can attract your interest even if, like me, you are not a music fanatic. The staff is really friendly and helpful. It worth a stop during your visit in Kaunas. You will not need about an hour or so to tour yourself around. Also there is a nice cafeteria in the court where you can sit and take a break.

My favourite museum in Kaunas. It holds a lot of traditional music instruments of various regions of Lithuania, some of which you are allowed to play with. You can also hear old recordings of folk music and music of artists who combine modern styles (rock, electro, metal etc with traditional music). There is also a separate building with organs and other key instruments. It only costs 2€.

(Translated by Google) We were disappointed with our visit to this game room. We arrived with three children 40 minutes before closing because we had promised them entertainment. We paid to visit, but half the space had the lights turned off and the environment was getting ready to close. The staff were walking around disgruntled, tidying up the toys and making it clear that our visit was bothering them. After the children picked up a toy and played with it for a while, the worker immediately came over, fixed it, and if the same toy was picked up again, she again showed displeasure and returned it to its place. The whole situation made us feel very uncomfortable - our presence seemed unwelcome. Very disappointing as we were expecting to have a great time but left early disappointed.

(Translated by Google) There are many different shops and restaurants, there is even a cinema! Large parking lot. A lot of teenagers go there after school and so on with their friends... Acropolis is probably the biggest shopping center in Kaunas, because for example "mega" is connected to "senukai" and "sodai", so I wouldn't read that "mega" is the biggest shopping center (Original) Labai daug skirtingų parduotuvių bei restoranų, yra net kinas! Dont like how you have to pay for the toilets but other than that it was really nice. The tickets were very easy to get and there was a lady speaking fluent english out and about helpin everyone.

I think it’s unfair that you can’t pay for tickets in cash, I think that both options should be availible, because not everyone has the option to pay with a card😡
