The Blue Grotto is a famous sea cave that can be reached by boat. It is renowned for its stunning bright blue waters, which are a result of the sunlight reflecting off the surface. This attraction is part of a larger collection of sightseeing spots and fun activities on Capri island, offering visitors opportunities to experience local culture, dine at great restaurants, find budget-friendly accommodations, shop, party, and relax.
It’s an awesome experience. We got the bus down from Ana Capri (which was an experience in itself…). The queue was about 2hrs long and it was in the heat down the steps but we bought water and fans from the shop you pass through. The boat tour is absolute chaos but brilliant fun and once inside the grotto it’s lovely and you get serenaded by the skippers. Worth the wait. They were all done by 2:30pm as the waters were high so best get there early
Danny W — Google review
The cave and the color of the water is amazing. It was an adventurous experience to change the boat . Quite a wonder that it worked out fine. The waiting time to get in the cave is really long und it was so tight in this small boat. Thank god I took a pill to prevent a motion sickness otherwise it would be a torture. Well, altogether it was an experience but it really expensive. I really don’t know for sure if it worth it.
Som M — Google review
It is an experience that is a "must do" if you are visiting Capri. We were there early at 8:15am, and were literally the 2nd group in line. They start the tours at 9am. They started a little early, and we were actually out of the cave and on shore at 9am. We had thought it was going to take almost 2 hours (which is definitely possible because by the time we were out, there were 50 people in the line on shore, and a couple dozen boats of people waiting for the small boats to pick them up 4 at a time to go into the cave).
Keith E — Google review
Very much a tourist trap, only do it if you have the means for it. Costs about 18€ per person and an additional 10€ for the boat rower. Also only do it if there is not a lot of wait. We only waited 15 min and didn’t know what to expect. The tour inside is only 5 minutes. Each boat takes 4 people and you have to duck down to fit inside the cave entrance. I would say you are not missing much if you don’t do it, there’s a lot of other better things to do in Capri.
Falene C — Google review
Clear blue waters. Mysterious coves. Light breeze. That's all you need for a perfect getaway in this paradise situated in Capri. The natives taking you inside the Grotto are friendly and welcoming, singing beautiful Italian parodies that touch your heart. The cave inside the Grotto dates back to the time when a Romanian king came to this Grotto by digging a tunnel for 90m. There a huge line for this but the experience itself is out of this world. Highly recommend!
Yamini K — Google review
The Blue Grotto in Capri is absolutely magical! The moment you glide into the cave, the sunlight reflecting off the water creates a glowing, almost otherworldly blue that takes your breath away. The boat ride is short but unforgettable, and the experience feels truly unique to Capri. The guides are friendly and add to the charm with their singing and stories. It’s a must-see—photos can’t capture the beauty, you simply have to experience it in person!
Sylvia D — Google review
Nature at its best. The color of the waters is surreal. Must see in person, well worth a boat ride there.
EH — Google review
honestly, this is just an amazing experience! the time spent in the grotto is quite short, but it is so emotional and it is so beautiful! I recommend it to everyone

Landmark
Villa Jovis, also known as Villa of Jupiter, is the remains of a lavish Roman palace constructed by Emperor Tiberius in AD 27 on a headland. The site offers stunning views and can be accessed by foot. According to historical accounts, the emperor indulged in luxury at this mountaintop villa, adorning it with explicit artwork and allegedly engaging in scandalous activities.
Visiting Villa Jovis was an unforgettable experience. The site is rich with history, and walking through the ruins where Emperor Tiberius once lived gives you a real sense of the ancient world. The views from the cliffs are absolutely breathtaking some of the most stunning panoramas you’ll see in Capri. It’s a bit of a hike to reach (about 40 minutes uphill from Capri town), so bring comfortable shoes and water, but it’s well worth the effort. The combination of history, atmosphere, and scenery makes Villa Jovis a must see for anyone visiting the island. Highly recommended if you love history, archaeology, or just want to enjoy some of the most beautiful views in Capri.
Euclides R — Google review
Visited October 2024. Approximately a one hour walk from Capri town the Villa is at the summit of Mount Tiberius - sounds daunting but not really. The path leading to the villa is paved/tarmac/concrete and is wheelchair (wheel) friendly. Having said that this is a two-thousand year old site, wheels would be very difficult once inside. A wonderful piece of history with a modest entrance fee and a relaxed atmosphere once inside. Restored in places but most of the structure looks authentically old. With panoramic views of The Bay of Naples including a fantastic view of Sorrento, if you make the effort you will be rewarded when you get there.
P B — Google review
A must visit for anyone going to Capri and interested in history. The ruins are not well preserved but still worth seeing and walking through. The walk from the port is not for the weak, particularly during the summer heat. Be prepared for equivalent of about 102 flights of stairs (per my garmin watch) to get there. Along the way, many grocers and shops to stop and get a refreshment to stay cool on the way up and dozens of places for lunch in the way down. Tip, don’t go to the places in busy touristy areas. Find a spot all by itself, there are many.
Sergio B — Google review
An large villa with a really interesting history. Read up on Tiberio Augusto before you visit and then let those stories come to life! Entrance is a reasonable price and the park next to it with the cliff top path is amazing. And ad its Capri through views are stunning.
Ben M — Google review
Get ready for quite the trek. A lot of stairs up and up hill walking. The history of this place interesting and the views were amazing, but I definitely would never do it again!
Natalie S — Google review
Ugo made this visit more than we could possibly have anticipated. Thanks Ugo! We happened to arrive in time for his post lunch tour of the grounds and we learned a great deal. His info and insight into the location and island were a genuine highlight of the trip to Capri. The villa itself is a surprisingly huge complex, with a major water collection system, strangely topped by a catholic chapel built above it before they realised Emperor Tiberius' palatial villa was underneath. Amazing views also from the chapel and the park next door where we saw goats for the only time on the 3 day visit. It's an uphill trek and there's a great 20min forest short cut across to Villa Lysis which is worth seeing in combination with Villa Jovis but bring a packed lunch or allow enough time. The gardens, houses and sleeping cats along the way made this an even better excursion. I started this review at 4 stars for Villa Jovis but the whole trip was 5 stars.
Josic C — Google review
Absolutely stunning views from Villa Jovis. The ruins themselves are interesting as well, but the five star views are the real reason to make the trek. There is another small park about 100m before the entry to Villa Jovis, which is worth a look as well. We stayed at Hotel Marmela and it was about a 35 minute walk along paved walkways and a few flights of stairs. The walkways are beautiful and very quiet before 1030 am. After that, you will start seeing the day tours. We were there at 1015 and were the only people at the Villa. 6 Euro entry fee and there are toilets at the site.
Patrick C — Google review
Worth the hike but be aware it is demanding with some steep segments to get there. The views are worth the hike. 6 euro entrance. Once inside you can walk around the site and take your photos. We did Villa Jovis first as soon as we got to Capri and then Natural Arch.

Monte Solaro, the highest point on Capri, is a limestone mountain with the remains of a Napoleonic War fort and offers breathtaking panoramic views of the island, including the iconic Faraglioni rocks and even Naples and Salerno on the mainland. The mountain is home to diverse flora and fauna, including nesting birds like the Peregrine Falcon and unique species such as the Blue Lizard.
Nice chair lift to the highest point of Anacapri. 20 minutes wait line and on the top we sat for some cold drinks. Lovely views. There's not much to do, but it's worth the 14 euros PP for the ride.
Yuval K — Google review
Monte Solaro offers breathtaking panoramic views—you can see the entire island of Capri and beyond. Access is very easy via the chairlift, which is a lovely experience in itself, providing stunning views throughout the ride. Visiting Monte Solaro is highly recommended — a must-see spot for any Capri visitor.
Giorgos A — Google review
Cable car to the top of Monte Solaro, one of the best views from the whole island of Capri the restaurant there has great bread and wine and food and a little walk to the edge. You can see the Capri arches , this is definitely a must visit place take your time to enjoy your stay there the food, the breeze, the view the service even the music they play
Daniel T — Google review
If you are in Naples, you should come here. Easy to find a public boat transfer from Sorrento.
Viktor M — Google review
It’s a very nice view. There’s not much to do in Capri and this is one of the things. There’s a little cafe at the top too.
Maddy A — Google review
I love the view. Very safe chairlift. It cost 14 euros per person. It takes 14 min to go up and 14 min to go down. U can take ur time at the top to enjoy the view and take pictures. U can try the restaurant overe there as well. By little bit expensive but logical. U can also have a walk down if you dlnt want to take the chair lift for the return. Enjoy your stay in capri
Kawtar B — Google review
Unforgettable experience at Monte Solaro! You reach the summit by a single-seat chairlift from Anacapri — the ride takes about 13 minutes each way, but it’s best to book in advance since lines can be long. The view from the top is absolutely breathtaking, a 360-degree panorama of the sea, Naples, and the island — truly one of the most beautiful sights imaginable. There’s a restaurant at the summit with amazing views, though quite expensive (we paid €7 for a cappuccino). Even the toilets cost €1 to enter, but honestly, the view alone makes it all worth it. A must-do experience on Capri!

Giardini di Augusto, also known as the Gardens of Augustus, is a picturesque botanical garden located in Capri. The garden offers sweeping views of the sea and the village of Marina Piccola below. It features a footpath that leads to the village and provides a classic view of the Faraglioni rock formations.
No queue to entry, tickets can be purchased at a vending machine right outside (no cash accepted). The only wait i had to do is to take pictures at the watch points. The garden is not so big, but the view is breathtaking. 😄 Right next to the garden you will find the roof top bar which has excellent cocktails next to the same mesmerising view.
Hilda P — Google review
The gardens of Augustus is a beautiful mountaintop garden which has a few statues and benches but it's main selling point is the view at the top. If you are on a tour and don't have much time I would recommend, as it's easy enough to get to and is a stunning "Instagram worthy" spot. Of course you have to pay to get in which you can do via a QR code or buying tickets. You can pay in your own currency on the app, which I thought was cool. I think £4 for a tiny garden with a view is milking it though, I think it should be done on a donation basis. You'll have people everywhere posing at every which angle so find a few good spots, take some snaps and get out of there!
JB R — Google review
€2.50 per person for entry and not sure its worth it. It is essentially 10m2 of grass with some flowers, several view points towards the faraglioni and a couple more on the other side towards the Via Krupp. Some good views of the faraglioni rocks but lots of people in the way taking photos of course. The views are just as good at the roof terrace next door and you can have a drink whilst enjoying the view! Win win
B M — Google review
Beautiful views and definitely worth a visit to get some memorable pictures. Lots of places to sit and relax but you’re not allowed to eat there. Entry was €2.5 and definitely worth the views.
Tina S — Google review
Nice and well maintained gardens. Entrance fee of €2,50 a person. Plenty of scenic viewpoints. Make sure to arrive as early as possible to prevent having to navigate the tourist groups that start arriving as early as of 09:30. They open at 09:00, and since it’s a small garden between 09:00 and 09:30 is a very nice window to see it all in all tranquility.(excluding the via Krupp)
Evan — Google review
Lovely gardens atop of Capri full of colorful flower beds running along narrow paths, shady trees and statues - a peaceful oasis with gorgeous views. The small entry fee is certainly worth it, there is a vending machine inside selling cold bottled water for 1€. From there you can take the switch back path down to Marina Piccola, it took us about 30 minutes.
FLnurseER1 — Google review
After our ferry ride, we made our way to the Garden of Augustus. The views were truly magnificent, and the serene atmosphere made for a perfect escape. The vibrant colors of the flowers against the deep blue of the sea were a sight to behold. However, the experience was slightly marred by the cost of entry. It felt like a bit of a rip-off to pay €2.50 per person for such a small area. What was even more frustrating was the price of water. Having to shell out €2.50 for a tiny 300ml bottle felt like pure exploitation, especially on a hot day. It's a shame that a place of such natural beauty has to resort to such practices to squeeze every penny out of its visitors.
Pavan N — Google review
Lovely little garden in an amazing location. The statues and plants are very nice, and the grounds are very well maintained. The really impressive aspect is the surrounding architecture, particularly the switchback ramp leading all 100+ meters down to the sea.

Buonocore Gelateria Pasticceria Gastronomia e Tavola Calda is a renowned gelato destination in Capri, serving delectable sweet treats since 1950. Run by the same family for over 70 years, this establishment is known for its commitment to creating exceptional flavors that keep customers coming back for more. The aroma of freshly made waffle cones draws visitors in, reminiscent of a scene from a cartoon.
Another day, another gelato! We stopped at Buonocore Gelateria during our Perillo tour, and it was fantastic. On a hot day, it was the perfect time for a refreshing treat. I went with a friend's recommendation and tried the nocciola, paired with pistachio—and it was insanely good. Best of all, it was served on a freshly made cone, which made it even more delicious.
Anthony A — Google review
Hands down the best gelato on the island! Sometimes there is a queue, but it moves very fast! Beware: it’s cash only! 🫶🏽Make sure you have some cash on you, because you definitely don’t wanna miss this one!

This is our favorite gelateria in the world, not to mention the best pastries. We spent a week in Capri and had breakfasts and gelato everyday here. Giovanna, Alessandra, Ale’s young son, Maria, Ale’s mother, and the entire staff and family made us feel super welcome! Giovanna even went out of her way to make reservations for us. We love you and we’ll be back soon!!!

Unbelievable spot! Great coffee, pastries and seems so authentic. Go early to avoid queues. Pistachini (no photo unfortunately) were amazing!!

the BEST. this is the most authentic and best gelato I have ever had. I tasted no other ingredients other than the one listed and everything they used was fresh and organic. It was not those creamy and heavy ones but rather a super light, refreshing flavor and texture which was really great for the heat this summer. I would definitely go there again.

Gelato with lemon and pistachio was perfect, waffles were even still warm when we got them! Pay inside in advance if you don’t have cash

Such an unpleasant experience. Bought ice cream, chicken cutlet and Coke Zero but they only allowed seatings for person who bought chicken cutlet and Coke Zero. Ice cream cannot be eaten inside the store at all even though it’s from the same store. Chicken cutlet tasted dry and ice cream was just normal. Overrated and will not return!
Yin L — Google review
This was one of my favorite places we visited in Capri. The gelato was some of the best I’ve ever had and pastries brought me right back to my nonna’s house, with that same homemade warmth and sweetness. If you’re in Capri and looking for an authentic treat, stop here. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy something delicious and truly memorable.

Spiaggia Marina Grande is the main beach in Capri, serving as a bustling arrival point for visitors arriving by ferry from Naples and Sorrento. It's a popular spot for families due to its spacious pebble shoreline and calm waters protected by natural breakwaters, providing a safe environment for children to swim. The beach offers both free public areas and equipped sections where visitors can rent pedal boats, sunbeds, and umbrellas.
The island looks like a treasure in the sea with beautiful old buildings and amazing nature, it offers taxis and buses to pick you to the top it where the hotels are located Visiting this island is highly advised

Sara B — Google review
Marina Grande beach in Capri is free to access, which is definitely a plus, but the water is full of stones and rocks, so it’s not the most comfortable place for swimming. It’s fine for a short stop, but not ideal if you’re looking for a relaxing beach day.
Sergii S — Google review
It's 500 m from the port It's Calm, intimate and beautiful setting with deep blue water 🌊☀️🏖️ Lots of rocks, so bring comfortable shoes. I visited here in May 2024 and we pretty much had the beach to ourselves at 11 . We have more people coming in . I sat on the rocks while the kids took a dip and wife took long walks . There are stairway down to the beach is really overgrown of trees, plants and has bamboo partition which one the other side has flowers concrete covers and beach benches which looks nice but you have to walk down a really narrow, steep stairway to enter the beach. Visually pleasing and worth visiting if you’re in Capri but be prepared for 5 hours till your return trip back as you will need to spend time in and out of the sea . It's getting crowded as I write my review Hot and cold in the same day.
Anand T — Google review
Look at this area with colorful, cascading cliffside houses as a backdrop. This beach is the largest and most accessible, located right at the base of the town. It is a mix of pebbles and dark sand, and while it can get very crowded, it offers a vibrant atmosphere with many restaurants, beach clubs, and water activities.

Putting is into relation... For capri, this is a very nice, free beach. In global terms... Just a little spot with pebbles next to the port 🤷🏻‍♂️it's sort off nice though. Hanging out while waiting for the ferry out simply to avoid the crowds in town...

Monte Solaro offers breathtaking panoramic views of Capri, standing at 589 meters above sea level. Visitors can reach the summit by taking a chairlift from the Anacapri side or opt for a free walk. From the top, one can admire the Bay of Naples, the Amalfi Coast, and even glimpse the mountains of Calabria in the distance.
What a view of Capri!!! We arrived at the chair lift at 9:40am, so it was nice and quiet before all of the trips arrived. The ride itself was fantastic, giving great views of Anacapri and Ischia. When we got to the top we were blown away by the view, just stunning! We spent about 45 minutes just walking around, taking it all in before heading back down. If you are visiting Capri, this has to be done!
Peter F — Google review
Monte Solaro is easily one of the most spectacular places in Capri. Rising over 500 metres above sea level it offers panoramic views that are absolutely stunning, from the rugged coastline of the island to the sparkling Bay of Naples and on a clear day all the way to Mount Vesuvius and the Amalfi Coast. The chairlift ride from Anacapri to the summit is a peaceful experience in itself. You slowly ascend over terraced gardens lemon trees and quiet rooftops with the gentle sea breeze and the occasional sound of church bells below. It is calm meditative and completely unique. At the top the views are beyond words. You feel like you are on top of the world far away from the busy tourist-filled piazzas. There is a small café where you can enjoy a drink while soaking in the views and plenty of perfect photo spots. Tip: If you are feeling energetic you can walk down instead of taking the chairlift back. It is a scenic trail through nature though a bit steep in places. Try to go early in the morning or later in the day to avoid heat and crowds. Monte Solaro is an absolute must when visiting Capri. Peaceful beautiful and unforgettable.
Boxa N — Google review
Amazing view from the top and not very crowded as we went early in the day. Cafe at top also reasonably priced given it's location and a tourist trap. Smooth ride in the single chairlift to the top and although high up never that far from the ground.

Peaceful ride to the top. Top of the mountain has a nice café with plenty of seating. There are areas to take pictures of the absolutely stunning views. Pictures do not do this place justice. A truly unique experience you don't want to miss if you visit Capri
Matthew W — Google review
We took the chair lift to the top, which I would recommend (14euro both ways) because of the views unless you really want to hike. On the top there is a restaurant and a shop, nothing special but the views of Capri are really nice, almost 360 (for the view towards Naples you need to go a bit towards the south because of the restaurant and trees). Seeing all of those boats down below, by the beaches and caves, small like a toy is also quite interesting.
Maciej P — Google review
Must do as part of the Capri experience. We were part of the blue bus tour (hop on/off as desired) and our guide was able to get us to the front of the charilift line. Otherwise it was over an hour wait. But we also noticed later in the day (after 3 pm) that there was no longer any wait. So without a skip the line option, the best bet is to do Anacapri first then head to the chairlift mid afternoon. Breathtaking views!
Brice B — Google review
It's a beautiful, highest scenic spot, and the view of the whole Capri is fantastic. We took a chair lift which was a 12 min ride to the top. A must visit
Bhawna M — Google review
Best views in capri, Visiting Monte Solaro was an unforgettable experience! The views from the top are simply breathtaking, offering a panoramic perspective of Capri, the Faraglioni, the Bay of Naples, and even the Amalfi Coast on a clear day. You can either take the chairlift from Anacapri, which is a peaceful and scenic ride, or hike up if you’re feeling adventurous — though the hike can be steep, it’s definitely rewarding. Overall, Monte Solaro is a must-visit when you’re in Capri — a place where nature, beauty, and tranquility come together for an unforgettable experience.

Beach
Spiaggia di Marina Piccola is a stunning coastal area on Capri, known for its beautiful beach and breathtaking views of the Faraglioni di Capri sea stacks. This small pebble and sand beach is nestled between impressive rock formations, offering crystal clear turquoise waters for swimming. The bay benefits from a southern exposure and protection from Mount Solaro, providing warm and calm conditions year-round.
The beach may be small, but the stunning view and crystal-clear water more than make up for its size. I had a wonderful time enjoying the scenery. The beach is free to access, but keep in mind that you'll need to bring your own chairs or towels to sit comfortably. It's a peaceful spot to relax and take in the beauty of nature, though a bit of preparation is needed to fully enjoy the experience. Perfect for a quiet day out!
Ahmed E — Google review
Great with kids. There is a public beach but also a private part where you can rent a beach bed (2 for 80 euros). Come early because they are quickly booked.
Daniel G — Google review
Tiny pebble beach in a beautiful location. To get to the water, you have to carefully walk between all the towels and personal possesions, it's very crowded. For that reason, I sat at a table with the best view in a nearby restaurant while my grandson enjoyed jumping from the rocks and swimming in the warm crystal clear water.
FLnurseER1 — Google review
the most beautiful beach i’ve ever been to. bus service to the main town available, or u can walk down from capri town. completely free as well!
Lauren — Google review
Marina Piccola is a smaller beach oasis on Capri, where you can enjoy the sea without the crowds from Marina Grande. The beach is nice, the water crystal clear, and if you’re lucky, you might spot some local fishermen lazily drifting on their boats. It kinda feels like a secret hideout where even Leonardo DiCaprio might take a break from filming. The only catch? Parking and access – it’s Capri, so patience is key. :)
Michael N — Google review
I didn't like the free beach. The photos were misleading and I thought there would be more space. The beach bar next to it charged 150 euro per bed and it was empty pretty much. We took a dip in the water and we went back to town center for lunch by the bus.
Agata C — Google review
it's a tiny beach that is full of boats and people. there's hardly any space to walk and the swimming area is very small. feels like a huge waste of time to come here if you're looking for a nice beach
Ellen T — Google review
Great view, easy to access, some opportunity to cliff jump(small jumps) and you can wash the salt off your body with the well that’s near

Beach
Spiaggia Bagni di Tiberio is a popular destination on Capri, known for its white sand and family-friendly atmosphere. Accessible only by boat, it offers a shuttle service from Marina Grande. The beach features a good restaurant with reasonable prices and can be reached by a short walk from ancient Roman villa ruins or a quick motorboat ride. Visitors can enjoy the public pebble beach or opt for the beach club with amenities such as a bar and restaurant.
At the bottom of the stairs we turned right not left (that would’ve been the actual beach with sunbeds, bar, etc. but we weren’t interested in all that), and there is a small bay kind of area which is small but stunning! The water is clear and gorgeous. We went in the afternoon and only a few people were there. After some time we had the entire place to ourselves. Rocky—water shoes recommended.
Alexandra D — Google review
The water was very dirty. The only positive was that we came late in the day so they let us in for free, but I definitely wouldn't pay ANYTHING for this dirty beach, especially when there's a much nicer and free one a few meters away.
Zorby — Google review
Beautiful beach, we paid 35€/person for the entrance and for a sunbed. They take you there by boat, and bring you back to the main port, it's included in the entrance fee. It's not cheap but I think it's worth it. We had a great time, I recommend!
Lilla F — Google review
Unfortunately the water was indeed dirty and the rocks hurt your feet but the food was excellent. One option could be getting sunbeds at le ondine beach club as the sea is a lot clearer and the beach is sandy there but come to Bagni for lunch. They have a boat that takes you to the restaurant right by the marina so it’s pretty easy
Nilsu Z — Google review
Coming every summer to capri, all the great places disappear and down to tourists traps and unreasonable prices, but that one is really hit the sky. Good beach club, great and attentive service, a m a z i n g restaurant with the best food on capri (i’ve been in many places). This is really hot spot!
Ili I — Google review
Get a reservation beforehand during the summer season! There is a free boat ride there but once you get get there it really is quite expensive, bring your own towel if possible. You can order food from the restaurant without a reservation if you have a sunbed.
Petter N — Google review
Is one of the best beaches of Capri, is smaller than the rest, but os does not get crowded. You still have to pay for the chairs and everything but if you are going to stay the whole day it’s definetely worth it!. And the beach is just breathtaking, crystal clear water.
Alfredo S — Google review
My favourite beach in all of Capri! Wonderful public pebble beach - can be reached by boat form Marina Grande or by walking (about 20 mins from marina). There is a beach club with a bar and restaurant if you wish, but I would recommend the free beach - it has a lovely shallow bay for paddling and you can swim out to the deep if you want to. Can be crowded so make sure you arrive early to grab a spot.

La Fontelina is a stylish beach club restaurant with stunning sea views and a charming thatched-roof pergola, specializing in delectable seafood dishes. Situated right at the water's edge, it offers an array of fresh vegetable creations alongside its seafood offerings. As a lido, it provides easy access to the deep blue waters for a relaxing swim.
La Fontelina is such a unique and relaxing spot in Capri — definitely worth the visit! You can get there by boat or walk about 0.4 miles down a steep path and concrete stairs (be prepared for the climb back up!). The restaurant had great food and friendly service — make sure to book a reservation in advance. At the beach club, service is a bit more laid-back; you’ll need to flag someone down for drinks, which seems pretty typical in Italy, though a bit frustrating at times. That said, the staff was accommodating and the setting is absolutely stunning. A true Capri experience!
Rylee R — Google review
If you ever find yourself in Capri, this restaurant is a must-visit. The atmosphere is simply beautiful, with stunning views all around that make the experience unforgettable. The food is delicious and comes in generous portions, every dish feels fresh and carefully prepared with high-quality ingredients. 🐟🦀🥬 While the prices are on the higher side. A perfect spot for a special meal with an incredible view. 🌅🚤
Bussayaphan S — Google review
Do not come to this beach club. Complete scam. Waited an hour for the water taxi to the beach club. Tried to call to see if they were coming or not and it was busy every single time we called. Once we finally got there, we were told we have to pay €10 a person for the boat we just waited an hour for. When we saw the spot we were assigned, there were not even enough chairs for us. Just thin towels. We had a reservation for 5 people and there were 2 chairs. You do not get to choose where you sit and they do not let you switch spots. I have also attached a picture of the view from our section. We paid thousands of dollars for this beach club and it was the worst beach club experience we had in Italy. The minimum spend here is €190 per person. More if you even want an umbrella. Have never been more disappointed.
Emma S — Google review
From the minute you get a reservation, the excitement begins You are asked to make your way to small marina to catch the dedicated boat taxi to the restaurant €9 pp, lovely ride and worth it When you arrive you walk past the private beach, and secured to the restaurant The trick is get a table on the edge with a view which can be tricky The service was good, the fish tartare, shell fish pasta and the mixed seafood dishes were scrumptious! Views also to die for
Ed B — Google review
My experience at La Fontelina was absolutely unforgettable 🌊🤍. The view of Capri’s deep blue sea is breathtaking, the atmosphere is dreamy, and the service is top-notch. Truly one of the most beautiful beach clubs on the island ✨

Such a wonderful experience. From the vibe, the staff, the water, the food and the drinks our mixed group of singles, couples and kids had the best time. We will be back. Everyone agreed our best meal after four days was at Fontelina. The seafood the pasta the dolce. Exquisite. Our waiter “Rustik””(I butchered that sorry) elevated our meal with his attentiveness, kindness and humor. The mixologist master Vincenzo made incredible cocktails with endearing humility, precision and authenticity (thank you). Everyone was great, but there is one stocky gentlemen whose name escapes me, but he was hustling from umbrella to chair to umbrella taking care of everyone. I hope he sees this because my group really appreciated the valiant effort; grazie. Great time and we all plan to come back. That local snapper will be in my dreams 😃. Ce vediamo.
Curtis B — Google review
This was such a cool place to have lunch and hang out. The food was delicious and you can’t beat the amazing views! The only complaint was I was hoping for a little more background music, as it seemed quite for a beach club. Either way this was an amazing experience and I would recommend coming.
Matthew R — Google review
We walked down to this beach club from the Hotel Punta Tragara and it was a beautiful scenic view on the way down, but quite the task getting back up. I would suggest taking a boat taxi or making sure you have really comfortable shoes for the return trip. Once we were there, it was a beautiful view with the iconic blue and white umbrellas. However, they seated us on an uneven area near a little cliff overlooking the water, and it was hard to get our chairs to balance there. I didn’t feel like the service was very good at our seats for drinks. They were very busy. We ate lunch at the restaurant and had some of the best Caprese raviolis I’ve ever had, but I was underwhelmed by the whole experience there. For me it wasn’t worth the hype.
