McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park, located in Scottsdale and operated by the city's Parks & Recreation Department, is a 40-acre park featuring a railroad museum and various exhibits. The park offers miniature train rides, jungle gyms, and a 10,000-sq.-ft. model railroad display. Visitors can enjoy attractions such as the Paradise & Pacific Railroad with steam locomotives and diesel engines, as well as the beautifully restored Scottsdale Charros Carousel.
This place was great. Mostly free except for the train ride and the carousel which are 3 dollars per person which I thought was reasonable. Very clean and well maintained. Great places for kids to play, water fountains all around or bottles of water in the market. The model train museum was amazing. The largest display I have ever seen and really well put together. So much to see. It’s also air conditioned inside so it’s nice to get in a get a break from the heat. We had a great time.

This is a great park. The new splash pad is small and isn't shaded directly, but there is plenty of shade around it with seating. The outdoor playground is huge and recently got sun sails so it mostly shaded. There are a few things that you need to pay for to do, but they are small amounts. The indoor playground, the train ride, and the carousel. The train ride is a ten minute ride around the park field and is so fun for the kids. There is a gift shop, and an ice cream/ snack bar also which are indoor and really nice. Plenty of seating throughout. Love this park.
Wendy M — Google review
Such a neat place! Large retired train cars throughout the park. They have a small train ride that's about an 8-10 min ride, a large carousel that you can ride either for $3 per person. Ages 2 and under are free. Huge outdoor playground with many unique obstacles. Lots of space to run and play. Small restaurant, museum, gift shop and a large miniature train set with interactive buttons. You can pay $12 for a wrist band for unlimited train and carousel rides for the day. Highly recommend and such a great value!
Larry D — Google review
Nice place to visit. They have several different buildings to explore. The one with the miniature train sets is free and quiet expansive. The grounds are well kept and they have several areas for kids to play along with a small locomotive to take a ride on. Overall a wonderful place to go with large trees, benches, and beautiful shade.
Ken — Google review
Great place to take the kids. The highlight for me was the model train building. It was a huge building with model train lay outs from N scale to O scale. Unbelievable, the detail in the layouts. The train ride is more for kids, and is a short ride around the facility. The serve ice cream and good lunch foods. I had their chili with corn bread. It was home made I thought. Lots of train history to explore. It's not very expensive to get in , and is worth the time to experience.

I had the best ditch day with my mini me!!! From the indoor playground to the outdoor playground to the train ride to my babygirls favorite the carousel was a blast.. but she also loved cooling at the splash pad. Thanks for an awesome day.
Nicole G — Google review
The rides are amazing and so reasonably priced. They just renovated the playground which is awesome. A new splash pad is there and an indoor playground as well. I went here as a kid and I'm still coming back!

Visited this park for the Halloween spooky train ride. The Halloween decorations and attractions are beyond expectations. It is a must to do for any toddler. Model train museum is impressive with a lot of attention to detail.

Butterfly Wonderland is an indoor rainforest habitat located near an aquarium in the city. It houses thousands of beautiful butterflies, along with sections dedicated to insects, reptiles, and tropical fish. As the largest butterfly conservatory in the country, it boasts over seventy species fluttering among lush foliage and dense vegetation. The complex also includes other attractions like Odysea Aquarium and Dolphinaris for visitors of all ages to enjoy.
This was amazing. It was magical from start to finish. I would say this is probably not for babies. There seemed to be a lot there, and their conservatory is hot and humid for the best environment for the butterflies. Their reptile, amphibian, and underwater displays are just gorgeous. I do not regret going at all. It was a great afternoon well spent.
Dove W — Google review
For anyone that loves butterflies and other insects, this is the place for you. An awesome video at the beginning that talks about stages of the butterfly, thought was very interesting. Once in the butterfly area, it was awesome, had a few land on me, that was cool. Go here early, when its cooler, but definitely a must see!
Jason B — Google review
Butterfly Wonderland is awesome, let me start with that before getting into the few downsides. The whole concept is brilliant and beautiful. Not only are they helping preserve butterfly species and supporting conservation efforts, but they’re also giving the public a chance to experience these incredible creatures up close. That’s amazing! My only real complaint is the price. For two people, it’s about $75 for an experience that lasts roughly an hour or two at most. It’s a bit steep, but it feels better knowing the money goes toward something meaningful rather than just another theme park. Overall, I’d definitely recommend checking it out if you’re in the area. Be sure to spend enough time in the sanctuary, you’ll want to slow down, take it all in, and hopefully have a few butterflies land on you!
Jaden T — Google review
You cant go wrong walking through a tropical jungle with butterflies flying all around you! It was so soothing and calming! The staff were super helpful answering all our questions and giving us directions! Be warned, it's humid so dress accordingly! You won't regret stopping here in your visit to Phoenix!
Laurie J — Google review
Awesome attraction especially if you have kids, my 2 small toddlers really enjoyed themselves, and it was a fun mixture of entertainment and education. Staff are all very friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to share info on the butterflies. They have some small indoor exhibits with fish and reptiles as well. They also have inclusive options for children with processing difficulties or other challenges. Definitely a worthwhile place to visit when at the boardwalk
Tyler G — Google review
10/10 would recommend this place to anyone in the area! They had a short video on the monarch butterfly migration. They also have a near area where they show the life of a butterfly and the stages there before they release them with the others. There were so many and they were so gorgeous and perfect! Their snack area was clean and tidy. The staff was super friendly. There was so much to look at and I wanted to take pictures of everything. It’s def worth every penny!

Love bringing my daughter here! We have so much fun. Beautiful butterflies and fun experience. We go first thing when they open because they get pretty busy! Worth the money in my opinion.
Kelli C — Google review
We visit Butterfly Wonderland every time we come to Arizona, at least once a year. This time, Jonathan Levingston was playing his violin and took the experience up a notch! We sat and just listened, making us stay longer than our past visits. Also, it seems like everyone we come, we learn something new about the place, how the butterflies are transported, how they hatch, and so many cool facts!

OdySea Aquarium, located in Scottsdale, Arizona, is the largest aquarium in the Southwest United States. It houses over 6,000 animals including sharks, penguins, otters, and seahorses. The Odysea Voyager provides a unique rotating aquarium experience allowing visitors to observe sea life in enormous tanks. Additionally, touch pools offer interactive experiences for guests to get up close with some of the marine residents.
Odyssey Aquarium is one of the coolest aquariums I’ve been to—and easily the biggest I’ve seen in Arizona. The exhibits are impressive, and what makes it stand out are the unique encounters you can add on: meeting penguins, hanging out with a sloth, or even diving with the fish. Those experiences do come at an extra cost, but they’re a fun option if you’re looking for something special. One of my favorite parts of the aquarium is the rotating viewing room—it’s such a neat and creative way to take in the exhibits. It really adds to the whole experience and makes it feel different from other aquariums. Overall, Odyssey Aquarium is absolutely worth a visit. Whether you just walk through the main exhibits or splurge on one of the encounters, it’s an unforgettable experience.
Shannon — Google review
OdySea is an amazing aquarium. The theme follows the journey of a drop of rain. The exhibits are well maintained and the staff is very knowledgeable. The environment is welcoming and easy to navigate. There are tons of graphics sharing information in many areas of science and conservation. They offer encounters and the SeaTrek which is pretty cool for those who are not dive certified. You can spend an entire day taking photos of all the animals and reading all the signs and graphics. I visited on a Sunday and the number of people that day was not crowding so it was even more enjoyable. The penguin encounter is $100 but it is definitely an investment and an unforgettable experience.
Lorenzo F — Google review
We had a great time at the aquarium. The tanks are very clean and the species look very healthy. The signage is informative. The educational staff is more than willing to chat. Id particularly like to thank the woman of color (not sure of her name.. she is light skinned and has long hair) who talked to us about the sturgeons. We then saw her again downstairs by the jellyfish. She demonstrated such passion for fish, reptiles, oceans, ...all things aquatic! The variety of species is excellent, and the signage was informative and easy to read. A few comments/suggestions... I think it would be nice if this facility was not-for-profit or if a portion of the proceeds went towards charity. I also think the tanks need plant life. Plastic plants rubbed me the wrong way. This is the only home these creatures know. It should mimic natural conditions as much as possible, even if that means more work cleaning the tanks. The entry fee is also way too expensive for the average person. We only did the aquarium, not the other attractions, because of price. Overall, we were impressed by the variety of species, many ways to interact with them, the bright, clean and well-lit facility, lots of benches to sit on, and the Voyager "ride" was fun. I do wish Voyager was less geared towards kids. The recordings that played at each "stop" were very juvenile. Also, the gift shop was way too kid-oriented. We wanted to buy things, but the selection was limited for adults.
Josie G — Google review
This was a super fun experience! Large variety of see life and I especially loved all the jellyfish! I didn't expect to see a sloth at the aquarium but it was adorable! We really enjoyed the rotating seats show for the sea lions, sharks and stingrays. This is a wonderful family thing to do in Phoenix!
Laurie J — Google review
I really did enjoy it but the price on it is insane like that's not reasonable whatsoever. You guys also have time slots but for some reason the aquarium is always packed to the brim like what's the point of the time slots if it's always going to be way too busy anyways? Still had a really good time. All the employees were helpful and nice.
Franky F — Google review
Amazing aquarium that focuses on animal welfare and conservation! The staff are incredibly friendly and customer service oriented. One of the educators (I believe her name was Rainey) was such a delight to talk to and was very informative about the animals and exhibits! Will definitely come back again in the near future.
Elize R — Google review
Gone there over 10 times. Great place for kids and adults. Go to restroom near entrance. You can see the shark aquarium. They have otters, crocs, clown fish, seals, giant turtles, lots of rays. Even if you run through everything it's still at least 2 hours worth of looking. The finale where the theater spins to see different parts of the aquarium is amazing. Lots to see and do. Pay more to get into other actives offered at the location. Worth it. Oh and sharks. Lots of sharks!
Adrian K — Google review
We have season passes and come here regularly. My son is obsessed with sharks, otters, and penguins. My daughter loves the sharks and the clownfish. They both love all the activities around the aquarium with the water table and the sand table. Also the touch areas. They don’t want to touch the fish but like to put their hands in the water. The season passes are a great price considering you get to come back for an entire year. It can get pretty busy if there’s a field trip there but we’ve never had any issues with it.

Nestled in the Sonoran Desert just north of Scottsdale, MacDonald's Ranch is a popular destination for Wild West experiences and outdoor adventures. Since opening in 1970, it has been a favorite among families seeking picturesque horseback rides through the desert landscape. The ranch offers guided horseback rides, moonlight excursions, stagecoach rides, and cowboy cookouts suitable for all skill levels and group sizes.
What a great place! I took my wife and daughters here for a 1 hour trail ride. The wranglers were friendly and the horses were well behaved and very healthy. This is a great place for anyone to enjoy a safe, fun ride in the beautiful Arizona desert.
Jason T — Google review
This is a must experience, not fast pace but really nice horses and team that manage. Lots of horses.?the one hour tour is more than enough due to horses walking slow. Very nice for a family as well. Great nature scenery as well
Joey P — Google review
As a horse owner, I’m kind of a snob when it comes to trail outfits when I’m traveling, and these guys passed muster! Horses are fit, clean, and well cared for. Staff are friendly, the trails are beautiful, and I think I saw more wildlife on this ride than I have on any other ride I’ve had in my life.
Ellis W — Google review
The family did the sunset trail ride and had a good time. From beginner to expert, the staff was easy to work with and very knowledgeable. Can't speak to the other activities they have on the ranch, but the trail ride was fun and worth the time.

Tanya A — Google review
Amazing spot to enjoy the desert and the beautiful horses. Andrew and Kyle were amazing guides and went above and beyond to help and talk to the littles ones so much, which gave them so much courage to ride the horses. I would love to go on a sunset tour or enjoy the cowboy dinner. The morning trail ride was an awesome experience for out of towners ☀️
Clare L — Google review
Been coming here roughly 8 years. Prices have risen significantly. I understand inflation has much to do with this however the cost is far too large for a family experience anymore. The admission plus the extra cost of food and experiences inside the ranch just is not worth it. Our cost for our family of 12 was 172 to get in and then plenty more for the different things we did once inside. Better to take your family to a nature preserve enjoy the outdoors there and still have family fun for far less cost. We will find something else next October.
L K — Google review
Had a great time with the family! Lots to do--friendly staff, really cute animals, great to get outside and let the kids enjoy themselves. Super fun quad-pulled kid's train ride. Just as I expected--no frills country/western style fun.

The Desert Botanical Garden, located in Phoenix, Arizona, has been a conservation hub for Sonoran Desert plants and other desert flora worldwide for over 70 years. The garden spans 140 acres and features more than 50,000 plant displays. Visitors can explore various trails such as the Plants and People of the Desert Trail, which offers insights into the lives and culture of indigenous people who have inhabited the area for thousands of years.
Especially in the hot month of July, if you’re thinking about visiting, just remember to take it easy when you’re outside. It’s a great spot for families any time of the year, but don’t forget to bring a water bottle to stay hydrated! The garden has tons of cacti, succulents, and other plants that might surprise you. The staff is super friendly and ready to help, and you’ll find signs along the paths to keep you on track. You’ll even get a map when you walk in! Even though it can get really hot, drinking plenty of water lets you enjoy everything the Desert Botanical Garden has to offer. You can wander through different trails and check out the beautiful desert plants. Each area has its vibe, and there are cool exhibits that teach you about the local environment and why it’s important to take care of it. During the summer, there are often fun events like guided tours and educational activities to help you learn more about the desert. Plus, visiting in the evening is nice because it cools down and the garden looks magical with all the lights. Don’t forget to check out the gift shop for some local art, books, or even a little plant to take home. There’s also a spot to grab some snacks and drinks. Overall, visiting the Desert Botanical Garden in July is doable if you plan ahead. With some water, sunblock and a relaxed attitude, it’s a fun day out for families, nature lovers, or anyone wanting to check out the desert’s beauty!

Absolutely beautiful. The Botanical Gardens were one of the highlights of our trip. We enjoyed every bit of our time there. From the amazing variety of cacti and plants, to the lovely butterfly exhibition, it was all well done. We could have stayed all day and not gotten bored.

This is one of our favorite "happy places"! Friendly staff, beautiful scenery, unique and fun events, educational support for our own plants, and so many more things are what keep us coming back. It has something for everyone. Some of our favorite things so far have been getting married here, enjoying the yearly Boo-tanical Garden with the kids, having regular date days/nights here, and attending their plant sales. The restaurant and cafe are delicious, and the gift shop always has something worth taking home. We absolutely love the Desert Botanical Garden and would recommend to anyone looking for a nice date night, family time, or even just some "me time".
Dakota B — Google review
I’d give this place 10 stars if I could! The Desert Botanical Garden is absolutely beautiful and so well maintained. Every trail and exhibit is thoughtfully designed, and you can really see the care that goes into keeping everything in top shape. The staff were attentive, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable; they were happy to answer questions and share insights about the plants and desert landscape. It’s such a peaceful and inspiring place to explore, whether you’re a local or just visiting. There’s also a restaurant on site that feels like fine dining without being stuffy. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was relaxing, and they cater to a wide range of dietary needs. Overall, it’s a must-visit spot in Phoenix.
Courtney G — Google review
Must experience. Absolutely beautiful. We were fortunate to arrive after the monsoonal rains. Everything was green and blooming. We arrived a little before sunset, so we're able to see the gardens during the day, at sunset with a beautiful Arizona sky, and the gardens lit at night. The Botanical garden is open till 9:00 pm. If you have a layover at Phoenix Airport, the gardens aren't very far away. I would encourage anyone younger old to take time to visit.
Patricia — Google review
The park is lovely. I went later in the afternoon at the end of October and it was still very warm. You can bring your own water bottle to fill at multiple filtered water stations - water comes out cold. Bring sunglasses, water bottle, sunblock and a hat. Gift shop is very nice.
Diana P — Google review
This garden is LIVING POETRY. It was one of the BEST Botanical Gardens I have ever visited. I had no idea cactus could form a desert forest. The design and layout helps you discover a lush, wonderous living landscape of flora and fauna that is ALIVE and far from barren. Additional points: excellent to have water stations through out the park to drink from and the art installations added an ethereal mix to the otherworldly, romantic atmosphere.
The T — Google review
Lots to see, beautifully kept gardens, plenty of water stations and the shop’s very nice - Only criticism was the portion sizes at the cafe (the food was very nice but not very substantial). Started to get a bit busier towards sunset (lots of couples having photo shoots). Have fun seeking out the naughtily shaped cacti

Specialty Museums
The Musical Instrument Museum, or MIM, is a paradise for music enthusiasts. It houses an extensive collection of instruments and artifacts from approximately 200 countries. Visitors can immerse themselves in the world of music through live performances and interactive experiences. The museum features five geographic galleries showcasing instruments from different global regions, an experience gallery where guests can play instruments, and a mechanical music gallery displaying unique self-playing instruments.
It was one of the best museums I've ever been to. I could easily spend a whole day there. There is music from almost every country and there is a wonderful guided tour that allows you to hear the music of the world. The museum is so well curated, so that you see, listen and learn about music from around the world. The music play room is great for kids. A wonderful time for the entire family.
Steven B — Google review
Excellent museum! It is a huge place. You wear a headset which plays music as you approach the various exhibits. Exhibits are well labeled and so many interesting details. I loved hearing and seeing people playing the instruments on display via the headset and videos. There is a room where kids and adults can play a variety of instruments. Highly recommend!
Lynda — Google review
Very amazing and educational museum. Would definitely recommend to anyone to go! 2 stories of history and cultures! Plan for it to take a good portion of your day. They have a cafeteria on site that has amazing food as well! Also an interactive instrument room where you can try out some of the different instruments you saw in the exhibits!
Brandee D — Google review
This museum is now firmly within my top 5 favorite museums in the world. I was pleasantly surprised at how large the museum is after deciding to visit last-minute. The exhibits are thoughtfully curated and include not only visuals but optional audio for everything you are viewing. With interesting facts about instruments, artists, and music styles from around the world. I only had the chance to see about 1/4 of all they have in my quick 2 hour visit so I’d recommend planing a few hours to come here and experience it all. There is a gallery where you can play a variety of instruments which as a musician was a dream. I’ve always wanted to play a harp and got the chance to do so here! The gift shop had such a fun variety of unique items, I came away with jewelry made from piano strings that I love! And on top of it all, this museum was truly inclusive for folks who need special accessibility accommodations. I recently injured my foot putting me on crutches. The staff kindly offered my choice of a wheelchair or electric scooter at no charge to use while in the museum. I can’t wait for the day I can come back to experience more!!

It is the best museum I ever seen! I am not a fan of music, but I am deeply touched by all kinds of music and instruments from all over the world, hundreds of countries and hundreds cultures. Staff in this museum are super nice, they are ready to answer your questions and provide useful information you need. This museum is not only good for adults, but also great place for kids! If you want your kid to learn instruments, bring kids to this museum and kids will start to fall in love with music. I will definitely come back to this museum again with my kid. Overall, I strongly recommend this museum. It is the No.1 best museum among the hundreds of museums I have seen.

An incredible collection of instruments spanning the globe. Our visit was particularly auspicious as it coincided with the "Stradivarius and the Golden Age of Violins and Guitars" exhibit. The violins and bows were exquisite. Plan to spend the day wandering through the various rooms to learn about cultural context and history.

MIM is worth the drive, no matter where you're staying in Phoenix. It's not just for music lovers, but also about history and engineering. We drove up from Tempe with our ASU student - we already plan to go back! The mechanical music room was fascinating and the artists room had so much variety - do not say no to the headphones. The experience of floating in and out of the sounds of the instruments on display really was magic. We finished with watching the short introduction film they offered. After experiencing the museum, it really brought home the universality of music through out all of human history... and it seems all to be represented right there in MIM. Really well organized and displayed: unique instruments, how instruments are made, antidotes from artists, instruments and musical styles from every corner of the world. Love!
Colleen S — Google review
A very fun place to visit! I thought a museum about musical instruments may not be very large or interesting, yet MIM changed my mind completely. It not only shows music from different countries, but also demonstrates the deeper cultures behind the music. As the picture shows, “Music is the language of the soul.” I think everyone who love music should visit this place, and you will see a much bigger world!

The Phoenix Zoo covers 125 acres and offers a variety of animal exhibits, including a children's area and petting zoo. Visitors can also enjoy a narrated tram ride around the zoo. One of the most anticipated events at the Phoenix Zoo is Zoo Lights, where millions of lights are strung on trees and displayed as animal shapes along pathways.
Wonderful zoo! Not too large so that you can walk the whole zoo of you want to get the full view of you don't spend too much time at one exhibit. Lots of shade along the way, plenty of water fountains available. They have planned for the comfort of the visitors. My photos certainly don't show the extent and great variety of the place...monkeys, orangutan, dromedaries, beautiful birds, nice splash pad for kids, individual displays of the local desert inhabitants, so much more. Nice gift shop, plenty of parking.

The Phoenix Zoo is such a fun place to visit! Definitely bring good walking shoes — there’s plenty to see and explore. We went in December, and the weather was perfect, though we did need light jackets. We especially loved seeing the lion, and the ZooLights experience was an absolute blast. A great place for families or anyone who loves animals!
Savanah E — Google review
Had a great time at the Phoenix Zoo! The animals seem well taken care of. Enclosures are fairly large and well kept. There are animal ambassadors at most of the areas that are very informative and knowledgeable. They were able to answer all our questions and some were quite funny. They have the only open walk through attraction with squirrel monkeys in the United States, which is in my opinion a must see for any visitor to the zoo. Also you can feed giraffes, ride a camel or play in the water park. Their is something for everyone. Overall my experience was enjoyable and I recommend if your are in Phoenix to add a stop at the zoo!

Absolutely love visiting the Phoenix Zoo! Zoo staff are friendly and always willing to share knowledge on the different animals at the zoo. Really enjoy the Arizona Big Cats habitat and my all time favorite is the Orangutans. Our family visits them every time we go to the zoo...they're like family!

Beautiful zoo. Lots of remodeling and upgrades being done. Nice tram tour of park, only $6. Today was the Dia de los muertos event, was awesome.

We had an absolutely phenomenal day at the Phoenix Zoo, and I can't recommend it enough as a perfect way for kids to spend a couple of hours walking around and getting up close with wildlife. Our visit today was exceptional because the animals were incredibly active! Sometimes you walk past exhibits and the animals are sleeping, but not today. We saw so much lively action: • Monkey Business: The monkeys were putting on quite a show, swinging and playing all over their habitat. It was non-stop entertainment! • A Spiky Surprise: one porcupine was wide awake and busy, which was a real treat to see. Hehe did a little of dance for us, and it will be a memorable porcupine dance experience for us to keep in our family. Beyond the great animal viewing, we loved that there were a couple of animal encounters happening, which added an extra layer of engagement for the little ones. We also took the carousel ride, camel ride and stingray feeding. It truly was an awesome day at the zoo. For families looking to make a whole outing of it, the Phoenix Zoo is great. We were smart and brought our lunch, which made the midday break easy and relaxing. And of course, on a warm day, the splash pad was the perfect grand finale to cool off and burn the last bit of energy before heading home. If you're looking for an engaging, manageable, and exciting outdoor activity for your kids, the Phoenix Zoo is a winner. Especially if you catch the animals on an active day like we did, it's a memorable experience!

By far one of the best zoos I have ever been to if you're ever in the Phoenix area I highly suggest going to visit here. It is the only zoo in North America that has a walk through monkey village which makes it so much better than any zoo that I have been to 🐒🐒🐒

Arizona Boardwalk is a vibrant entertainment complex located in Scottsdale, Arizona. It features three main attractions: Odysea Aquarium, Dolphinaris, and Butterfly Wonderland. Odysea Aquarium is the largest aquarium in the southwest and houses over 6,000 animals in more than two million gallons of water. Visitors can enjoy unique experiences such as the Deep Ocean Escalator to see various shark species and interactive touch pools with stingrays.
We did the free foam frenzy event and my baby had sooooo much fun. I live in Peoria and it was worth the drive. We'll be attending again when they have another event. Obviously there was foam but also they had a fire truck there and were letting kids hold the hose and spray water at people. It was alot of fun 😁☺️☺️
Stephanie M — Google review
They have nine different attractions. If you buy each ticket individually, it will get expensive. It is best to purchase multiple attractions at once. You can also purchase an annual pass for the OdySea Aquarium, which will pay for itself after a couple of visits. Plenty of photo opportunities throughout the boardwalk. There are a few food options to choose from as well.

Nature preserve
Nestled on the northeastern outskirts of the city, just a short drive from downtown, McDowell Sonoran Preserve is an expansive 30,000-acre desert sanctuary. It boasts over 115 miles of hiking trails that wind through its rugged rock formations and sprawling cacti-filled landscapes. This urban nature reserve is a testament to Scottsdale's dedication to environmental sustainability and offers free access to the public from sunrise to sunset.
I’m in absolute love with the McDowell Sonoran Preserve. I’ve logged more than 10,000 miles on these trails over the last 4 years and loved every one of them. The trail system is well-maintained and patrolled by a dedicated network of volunteers. They’re simply perfect for short to long runs. I’ve been out for 20+ miles and found myself in a wonderland of desert bliss. The saguaros, chollas, animals, and views are second to none. If you’re looking for a local escape, look no further and get out to the preserve.

Absolutely recommend a morning hike in this beautiful Scottsdale preserve. I visited from Colorado and was impressed with the clean trailhead restrooms, volunteer staff helping you find the perfect trail for your time frame and skill level, and amount of free parking. Gateway Trail and nearby bridge are perfect for a morning walk/hike with not much incline although there are some little rocks so no strollers. The trailhead starts right after the restrooms. Easy to find parking lot. Our Lyft driver had never been there and we found it easily on map.

Absolutely stunning views. We hiked the Gateway Saddle; took 2 hours with brief moments to take photos.
Brenda K — Google review
Go early! This is a beautiful preserve and it’s very popular. The parking lot is big, but fills up by 9 or 10 a.m. in the cool months. There are lots of different hikes in the preserve, but the main trail is the Gateway Loop, about 4 miles. You’ll definitely work up a sweat, and the trail is rocky (wear hiking shoes), but it’s awesome. It takes me about 2 hours. I’m slow 😉. (p.s. There’s a nice park building with restrooms too)
Kristine P — Google review
Absolutely beautiful nature preserve with a lot of hiking trails and biking trails. Make sure to bring water as fill up stations are limited. Highly suggested for a short morning hike and afternoon bike adventure.

I highly recommend the Walk with Natural Resources Coordinator at Fraesfield Trailhead. This was my first visit to Arizona and what a great introduction to the desert! The walk was easy and very informative. I enjoyed meeting others in the group — from people in their 20’s to seniors. The weather was cool (I saw frost on the ground) but the sun was warm and enjoyable. Special shout-out to Madison, our tour guide. She knows so much about desert plants and animals and gave me resources to find out even more. She has a great sense of humour and her delivery is personable and natural. I’m looking forward to returning and exploring more of the area.

Hiking day ! This trail is an amazing view. Lots of big cactuses 🌵 🌵. The trail is flat and easy to walk. So you will have time to look up and see the cactus ❤️. Also, McDowell has some of the best mountain biking in arizona and is a must hit place if you’re in to mountain biking. The trails can be very technical so it's not exactly a great place to learn, try desert classic if your not experienced, but if your in to technical difficult climbing and intense descents then it is the place for you.

Taliesin West, the winter home of renowned architect Frank Lloyd Wright, is a must-see for architecture enthusiasts. Located in the desert foothills of the McDowell Mountains, this iconic structure is both a World Heritage site and National Historic Landmark. Constructed using materials from its natural surroundings, it embodies Wright's philosophy of organic architecture. Visitors can take tours to explore this unique desert home and learn about its significance in architectural history.
Taliesin West is a must see for any fan of Frank Lloyd Wright, architecture, history houses, or the desert southwest. I visited on an incredibly hot day in the summer during their morning opening hours. The audio tour, delivered through an app you download to your own device, is exceptionally good. The audio tour is one of the top 10 audio guides I’ve ever used anywhere in the world. It’s strikes the perfect balance guiding you through the site while at the same time providing just the right amount of interpretation of Wright’s work and time at Taliesin. The gift shop here is a must visit with a very well curated inventory of items connected to Frank Lloyd Wright, Asian art, and architecture in general. Simply excellent all around.

This tour—no kidding—changed my brain. Walking through the property was an expansive journey, and the audio tour was educational and really helped ground me in the space and pull me into the details of Frank Lloyd Wright’s design and philosophies. I can’t recommend this enough for lovers of design, story, and interesting spaces. I left inspired and with an augmented appreciation of the power of organic architecture, playfulness, and of spaces designed to foster community. If any questions come up for you, I highly recommend asking them to the staff present throughout the tour— they provided additional anecdotes and history that very much enriched our experience. My one regret is we didn’t go earlier in the day to be able to take more time soaking up the unique spaces.
Jessica R — Google review
It’s really easy to drive past the entrance since the sign blends in with the landscape. So keep an eye out! We took the self guided tour. The property was stunning, and we really enjoyed learning about Wright’s process and the history behind the property. Absolutely beautiful. The gift shop had so many unique items, too! Lots of locally made pieces.

The house in relation to the geography creates an ethereal setting that will leave you dazzled. It's an incredible way to experience Right's genius as you look through a window or a vista and realize that every turn, every view was meant to inspire. The tour goes by too quickly, like a dream you don't want to end. The controlled number of guests is also very important as the interior spaces are smaller than you think.

This was a great introduction to the complex. It was discovery day so the cost was only $5.00 each to go on a self guided tour. All the grounds and buildings were accessible and along the way they had hosts to provide details at various locations as well as answers questions. They also invited some other groups to provide information about their services. They also had some food vendors, activities and music. Free parking was provided and the fee allowed us to stay as long as we wanted. I was surprised that for a Saturday it not crowded and it was easy to view each location and enjoy the grounds. The store has a variety of keepsakes and beautiful creations for sale and the staff are very friendly.

Discover the Southwest Wildlife Conservation Center (SWCC) in Scottsdale, a non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating injured or displaced wildlife. The sanctuary is home to a diverse array of animals including black bears, bobcats, coyotes, Mexican gray wolves, and more. It's an ideal place for families to introduce children to native and non-native wildlife in a safe environment.
If you’re even a little curious about what they do here at the center - do yourself (and the animals) a big favor and book a tour right now! This was such a wonderful experience - the extent to which the staff here love and care for these animals is so evident! Our group thoroughly enjoyed the two hours spent here on the twilight tour. We learned the stories of each animal who resides at the conservation center and how humans can do better to make sure that wild animals are able to live their lives fully as they’re meant to - in the wild. The center does a wonderful job of education, rehabilitation, and release. The sanctuary animals who live here aren’t able to be released back into the wild, and as such, are living out their lives in the care of these wonderful humans. The center doesn’t receive any outside funding or grant money, and every dollar they earn from the tours and adorable gift shop goes towards the animals. Go to hear the coyotes sing, the wolves howl, and to learn how we can all be better stewards of this amazing world we live in. Soul stirring at its finest.

This is rated the best Western Museum in the US. A wonderful collection, tastefully displayed and volunteers are taking efforts to explain the contents. The bronze sculptures, the pottery and the paintings are very beautiful. Really good experience.
Milind J — Google review
It's a good museum, the architecture of the building is great. As a person who grew up in Arizona I didn't personally find the museum content that interesting. The price is pretty comparable to other museums, but overall the collection and space is a little small. I would say the thing I disliked most was that it predominantly uses the voices and art of white people to talk about native people and cultures. If this wants to be a museum about the time and history of this area, they might include more accurate information on how the land was stolen, how the people and cultures were destroyed, and other painful but true parts of the history of the south west. If they want it to be a museum about the American gold rush, cowboy life, and the history related to that, that's fine too, but that isn't what they are claiming in the messaging. Overall a good museum but I wouldn't ever need to go twice
Edward Q — Google review

Absolutely amazing and well-kept area. The parking garage is always 100% clean. Very easy to follow when walking in. Everything is so clean. Everyone is so kind and helpful whenever you need it. Stores are constantly open and never failing to show the best of their best. I would recommend this to anyone whether you have shopping spree money or not. It's just an amazing place to walk around. It's beautiful open and there's so much to do

The Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art, also known as SMoCA, is a multi-gallery museum featuring rotating modern art and architecture displays along with a sculpture garden. The museum showcases surprising and thought-provoking exhibitions that challenge and dazzle visitors. It features installations such as 'The Air Around,' which explores the impact of poor air quality on the human body, and 'Language in Times of Miscommunication,' highlighting cracks in modern human interaction.
This was such a nice little contemporary arts museum! I know many people were saying how they thought this was really small, but I personally think it’s perfect that it is. Sometimes when you don’t want to spend hours in a museum, at least there’s this option and if you really enjoy art and love reading about each one, that alone takes time and adds more to the museum. The contemporary arts exhibits were sooo good! I really enjoyed seeing this one installation with lights and a symphony of music playing in waves with them, and that the current exhibits had some southwestern feel to it. They change it up every few months or so, of course. Workers were extremely nice and loved explaining some artwork in depth, if you want it. There’s also a little gift shop. Thursdays is a good day to come if you want to do the “Pay as you wish”.
Gabrielle S — Google review
It's a small venue with 4 or 5 exhibits going at the same time. Walked through will take about an 1 hr depending on how much time you spend at each peice. It is a nice indoor retreat from the summer heat. I suggest checking for their free times or if you are part of your local library. See if you can snag a culture pass for free entrance for the adults.

This review highlights one of workers who made visiting this museum more memorable. He is an older Hispanic gentleman, who speaks English and Spanish, by the name of Lou (I didn't get his name initially but the front desk was able to provide it to me). Lou was fantastic! He took the time to explain some of the art pieces to me and my mom. He also showed me how to view some of the art pieces from different angle to display something I wouldn't have notice on my own. However, my favorite exhibit was Infinite. I had no idea each sphere has a speaker and played by a string quartet. It plays for about 16 minutes, so watching the spheres illuminate and listening to the music during that time was magical. I told Lou how I enjoyed this museum more than the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego but he was part of the reason why I enjoyed it. Thank you, Lou for making this museum more wonderful 😊 Will definitely be making another visit.

Honestly my favourite museum to go to. The staff are so chill and welcoming. The fees are nonexistent, which is great if you’re a broke college student. The exhibits are always really creative in nature and at times interactive. Recently I may or may not have been trapped in the room full of lights (Life on Mars exhibit) for hours on end. Just staring at the shifting patterns and lights. Truly mesmerising. 10/10 would get hypnotised for free again. Honestly wish I had the money to donate to this place 😭

I had a wonderful time visiting the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art. On the day that I went to visit with my family, they had limited exhibitions open because they were in the process of finalizing their full set of exhibits for the season. But the ones we were able to experience were extraordinarily and memorable. The “Squid Soup Infinite” room was fantastic and makes you want to stay there for hours. This is certainly a must visit for those visiting Arizona!
KC D — Google review
When we visited, two halls were being reinstalled, so we only saw a reduced exhibit. That was good enough, though the outdoor one was disappointing: it is to be seen during sunset or sunrise, not an obvious time to visit a museum.

Really cool! A short visit is all you need if you're pressed for time.. if you have time I could definitely have spent hours in the Squid space

Sugar Bowl is an iconic ice cream parlor in Scottsdale that has been serving up sweet treats since 1958. This old-school establishment offers a variety of classic treats, including sundaes, sodas, banana splits, and a selection of sandwiches and salads. The bubblegum-pink diner and ice cream parlor features a nostalgic ambiance with pink-and-white booths, swivel stools, and an old-fashioned ice cream counter.
I had never been to this place before, and upon entering, saw only a bunch of sugar raging ( very loud ) kids inside. You have to wait to be seated by a hostess. I was still having doubts about this place while looking at the menu & the prices. I ended up ordering myself a vanilla shake. And OH BOY! I LOVED IT VERY MUCH!! This place has the absolutely best ice cream in the entire valley. Do not miss this place. You will not be sorry if you go here. Wonderful staff and location. I would even say it is a jewel of Scottsdale, and the entire Valley of the Sun.
Melissa B — Google review
Stepping into The Sugar Bowl is like stepping back in time in the best way possible. This charming little gem in Scottsdale has been around for decades, and it's easy to see why it's still going strong. The pink aesthetic is absolutely adorable – from the striped walls to the nostalgic decor, it feels like you're dining inside a vintage postcard. The framed photos of the original soda fountain setup add a nice historical touch and give you a real sense of the place's legacy. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience even sweeter. The food was great – I had some classic tea sandwiches that were fresh and tasty, and we couldn’t resist trying one of their sundaes. It was everything you'd want from an old-fashioned ice cream treat: rich, creamy, and topped with the perfect cherry. And don’t miss the arcade in the back! It’s such a fun, unexpected addition – full of retro games that kids and adults alike will enjoy. Whether you're a local or just visiting Old Town Scottsdale, The Sugar Bowl is definitely worth a stop. It's not just a meal – it's a full experience packed with nostalgia, flavor, and charm.

They didn’t lie with the name—my sundae was pure sugar. I ordered the Creamed Walnut Fudge Sundae and somehow tasted no chocolate, no marshmallow, no pecans, not even ice cream. Just sweet and cold. I genuinely wondered if it was my taste buds malfunctioning… until I tried my sister’s food. Her finger sandwiches (egg salad and corned beef) were delicious. The kettle chips? Perfectly crisp and salty. Her Coke float was solid too, but that’s hard to mess up—just Coke and vanilla ice cream. Meanwhile, folks around us seemed thrilled with their banana splits, so maybe I just picked the wrong item. Despite the sundae flop, our server Olivia was an absolute gem: kind, attentive, and genuinely lovely. She made the experience feel cared for, even if the dessert didn’t.

The Sugar Bowl is a must of you are visiting Old Town Scottsdale. We went in the evening on a Friday night. I had the Tin Roof Sunday, and my wife had the Golden Nugget!! They were both delicious! The atmosphere is very much old school, and it will hit the nostalgic vibes. The staff was very kind and efficient. Don't forget to buy a coffee much for the collection in the way out.
Chad B — Google review
This place is straight out of the 60s, pink walls, diner booths, and the kind of vibe that makes you feel like you should be wearing a leather jacket and ordering a sundae with a jukebox playing in the background. The ice cream was everything you want ice cream to be, cold, creamy, and full of flavor. I went with a double scoop because I keep it simple, and it was spot on. My partner got a parfait and it looked like something straight out of a magazine, stacked and layered perfectly. The best part is you actually sit down, order, and it comes out made fresh, none of this “stand in line, get scooped, and shuffle away” routine. Portions were generous, the flavors were dialed in, and the whole place just nails that classic throwback charm. If you have not been here yet, fix that. Seriously. It is ice cream that tastes like happiness, nostalgia, and childhood all mixed together, and it is absolutely worth the stop.
Mike M — Google review
Stopped in last Friday for a traditional banana split. What a treat! Absolutely delicious. A little slow getting service at first, but the server was so sweet and the dessert came so quickly, we didn't mind at all. If you're new in town and love delicious ice cream in a vintage setting, don't miss this Scottsdale landmark!
Gina C — Google review
I had passed the Sugar Bowl many times. After a night out at a different restaurant I decided to stop here for a desert. Oh my... This restaurant has been here since 1958 and is in resemblance to a 1950's ice cream parlor. I loved the atmosphere. And even at 9 pm, it was still fully packed with customers. I had the "Gosh-Awful-Gooey Banana Split. It had coffee and strawberry ice cream to die for. Covered in Whipping Cream and Carmel sauce. With a Cherry on top. Definitely coming back. Such a great happy atmosphere.

Step back in time to the 11th century and experience the grandeur of Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament. Located in Arizona, this castle-like space offers a unique dining experience where you can enjoy a utensil-free, four-course meal while being entertained by jousting, horsemanship, and falconry. The live-action production allows you to immerse yourself in a medieval European atmosphere as knights compete in skill, strength, and combat games while riding Andalusian stallions.
I took my husband to Medieval Times Arizona for his birthday, and we had such a fantastic time! This was truly a memorable experience from start to finish. The show was incredibly well-choreographed — full of action, excitement, and just the right amount of drama. We were especially impressed by how well the horses were cared for and how skilled the performers were. The staff was amazing — fully in character, friendly, and made the evening feel extra magical. The food came in generous portions (and so did the drinks!), which was a pleasant surprise. We left feeling full, entertained, and happy. Overall, this was a unique and fun night out that we won’t soon forget. So glad we decided to check it out — it was absolutely worth it!

This was an Amazing experience.!! My parents and I went for my birthday bc I wanted to try something new and im truly glad we went. Our server Jason was amazing.!! The show was really good. The staff and performers were great.!! Def a must experience to check out.

As a family who went in with no expectations and only a word of mouth review, this experience was ASTOUNDING. The food was delicious, the seats were stupendous, the souvenirs, the drinks, and the costumes were outstanding, and the best part was definitely the people. Our waitress Rylee was by far the highlight of the experience! She was extremely kind, kept us well fed, was immersed in her role and was just a genuinely incredible person! Two other notable people of the show were the Red and Blue knights! They were so sweet and chatted with us a bit after the show! Overall, this experience was by far the most amazing show we have ever gotten to experience! We will definitely be back!
Anna K — Google review
What a great and unique experience! If you’re a renaissance fan this is a MUST! A bit nerdy but extremely fun and entertaining. Real jousting and a true show, staff are passionate and friendly. You walk in and you’re instantly transported back in time. Drinks are typical for a themed event, but the free mug makes it worth it. Food honestly was not terrible, I thought the chicken was very good. If you’re vegetarian it’s really just a salad though. Felt it was a one and done experience but glad we went! If you're an animal lover it can be a bit off putting seeing the horses. They seem well taken care of (but some do excessively drool).
MEGHAN C — Google review
Spent about $200 for two of us. The food was cold and mediocre at best. The King and queen must've had their lips directly on the microphone as it was very hard to hear them. The horses and the tournament were fun to watch. Drinks were good but weak considering what we paid for them. The service was good. It was 1 server for the whole section. So the food was lukewarm when delivered. Overall, the experience was just ok. Ill wait for the Renaissance fair to come back.

My husband and I went to Medieval Times Scottsdale for our birthday dinner this year and it was such a fun and memorable experience. From the moment we walked in the atmosphere was immersive with castle decor, cheering crowds, and incredible attention to detail. The show was exciting and entertaining. The knights put on an amazing performance with jousting, sword fights, and plenty of audience interaction. We were on the edge of our seats cheering for our knight. The horses were beautiful and so well trained which made the show even more impressive.
Dani — Google review
Fantastic experience. Our 4 year old loves knights and sword fights so we took him for his birthday - he was engaged the whole time. The sword fighting was good, the jousting and horses were amazing and the falcon was cool. The roast chicken was good, the rest of the food wasn’t phenomenal but wasn’t bad, it was decent. We paid for the royalty package to get the priority seating within the first two rows, the experience was worth the price, I’d go again sometime. We got there an hour early and were some of the first people in, that was worth it not to be waiting in line in the sun. Bring some money for souvenirs, there’s a lot of fun things there.

My experience at the Medieval Times dinner and tournament show was truly memorable. The atmosphere within the castle walls is vibrant and captivating. The King and Queen preside regally from their thrones, while the meticulously crafted armor, notable for its impressive designs and substantial weight, commands attention. The decorations, which extend throughout the gift shops and bar, are particularly striking, especially within the performance arena. The sand of the arena, where the horses perform, is well-maintained, and the royal balcony provides a fitting backdrop for the regal presence of the King and Queen. The lighting, with its diverse array of fixtures, further enhances the overall ambiance.

The Penske Racing Museum in Arizona is a must-visit for car enthusiasts of all ages. Located within the Penske Automotive Group's car dealerships, this museum spans 9,000 square feet across two floors and showcases an impressive collection of race cars, medals, trophies, and memorabilia that highlight the storied history of Penske Racing.
The museum was cool for racing enthusiasts. It’s small, can get through quickly, but the best part? It’s nestled in the midst of the Lamborghini, Maserati, Bentley, etc. dealerships. LOL. My husband and boys were like kids in a candy store. My girls even seemed to be intrigued with the beauty of these cars. The staff didn’t seem to mind us wandering through the lot and showroom to gawk and appreciate what they were selling. Definitely enjoyed our time there.

Super nice surprise finding this in Scottsdale AZ. To top it off, IT'S FREE. Looking at those beautiful cars that made raceing history from different years and drivers. Not a very big museum, but when you look, that it's all from the one team. That is impressive in so many ways.

An absolute gem for motorsport enthusiasts! The Penske Racing Museum offers a fascinating glimpse into the history and achievements of one of the most successful teams in racing. Even better – admission is completely free, which makes this a must-visit for anyone interested in cars, racing, or engineering excellence. The museum features a stunning collection of race cars, trophies, and memorabilia from decades of competition, including highlights from IndyCar, NASCAR, and more. Each exhibit is thoughtfully displayed, and you can really feel the legacy and passion behind Team Penske. The space itself is clean, modern, and easy to explore. Whether you’re a lifelong racing fan or just curious, this museum offers something for everyone. Don’t miss the gift shop and the beautiful views from the upstairs gallery! Highly recommended – a hidden treasure in Scottsdale!

This place is AWESOME (and free)! I’ve wanted to go here so bad and I finally got the chance. There’s plenty of: - History - Legacy - Cool cars And last but not least, COOL CARS. My favorite was 1973 Donohue’s Porsche, I wish its engine was displayed tho. Still, amazing location, there’s plenty of dealerships that you can take a look around and the Ferrari dealer right beside it lets you go there and check some really interesting Spyders. There was a random Ferrari Dino and 512 Dino that were looking pristine.

Really neat thing to unexpectedly find outside of the Motorsports hubs of Charlotte and Indianapolis. Quick 10-15 minutes inside the ground floor will show you the cars, with a cafe and trophies upstairs. Afterwards, browse the adjacent dealerships for cars you can only dream of driving.

With over 50 animatronic dinosaurs, this attraction offers an immersive experience, perfect for reliving favorite Jurassic Park moments and learning about these ancient creatures. The site provides numerous photo opportunities, making it a must-visit for dinosaur enthusiasts and families alike.
My kids and I had a blast at Pangaea Land of Dinosaurs today! The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly, and the real-life looking baby dinosaur you could pet and take photos with was a huge hit. Even though the place is on the smaller side, the dinosaurs they had were very cool looking! We'll definitely be back.

Review for Pangea Land of the Dinosaurs – Scottsdale Boardwalk Pangea was a fun adventure! Located right on the Scottsdale Boardwalk, we’ve seen it many times and finally decided to check it out—and we’re glad we did. The exhibits were well maintained, and there were plenty of interactive options for the kids, including a fossil dig that they really enjoyed. We also attended a live presentation, and the host made it both educational and entertaining—definitely a highlight! The staff overall were friendly and helpful, which added to the positive experience. If you or your kids are dinosaur lovers, this is a great spot for a fun and engaging outing.

Kids had a blast, the whole exhibit is done really nice w statues of dinosaurs and animatronics. There's also crafts for kids if you get the kids VIP ticket. For a lil more the kids can sluice for stones. Very cool!
Larry D — Google review
Its a fun experience, its a smaller place for sure but fun for families and people who enjoy dinosaurs. There is an arcade here and some hands on activities for the children to do at the end. Not sure why there are so many negative reviews. My kids had a great time. The only negative is the guy that talks during the presentations, he is just too loud. This is a fun place but is a little overpriced for the size of venue
Travis P — Google review
It goes by pretty quick but you can walk through as many times as you'd like. The arts and crafts crew were on their game this visit and made it so fun for the kids! You have to download an app to follow along with the QR codes for a prize, would rather not buy did for the babes.
BC — Google review
I think my dino-obsessed 6yo was right in the sweet spot for this place. A toddler would probably run right through it and an older kid might be bored. I do think it would be better if the dinosaurs were more spread out and we avoided the arcade (because why??). The guy running the kids activities was great. He clearly loved dinosaurs and jumped right in with facts and suggestions. We spent an hour and probably would have been longer if we had more time.
Laura A — Google review
I took my 2 year old here and she had a fun time, she was excited about the dinosaurs; however, it is definitely not worth the price. It is extremely small I doubt you would spend longer than 25-30 minutes here. I think it definitely would have been more worth it if you at least got one adult for free but the fact you have to pay for everyone is ridiculous. Considering this is basically the same price as the children's museum I wouldn't pay for this again.
Aura A — Google review
We really enjoyed it. Fun dioramas and the real experience is going on a guided tour and speaking with someone who really knows what they're talking about. In addition to just talking about the static displays our guide also talked about the latest research and what we know now vs what was believed before, and she was able to answer all our questions.

The Laser + Mirror Maze at OdySea in Arizona is a unique and entertaining attraction that combines a mirror maze with laser-dodging challenges. The mirror maze features cleverly designed locations, including scenes from the Central American rainforest and ancient Mayan temples. Visitors can test their ninja skills in the laser maze, maneuvering around green beams while ducking, diving, twisting, and crawling to avoid getting zapped.
The kids spent a while running around in the maze and kept going back in for more tries! They had a blast! The girl with red hair working the front was beyond amazing, she would turn on the lights for our five year old who was too scared to go in with the flickering lights. She really made the experience great for us :)
Bella L — Google review
It's one of the cheaper experiences at the Boardwalk - $15 vs the usual $30 entrance frees. You get to walk through the mirror maze- they provide you plastic gloves so you can feel around the mirrors. I enjoyed the theme- when you first walk in- they have a fake stone bridge with a voice playing, and then you get to walk through the maze which has pretty color-changing lights. Too bad it was short- I got out in about 5 minutes. The laser experience though is very short- you can either pick the "run away" from lasers or the "navigate through" lasers. It lasted less than a minute. Employee was friendly and helpful in guiding guests through the experiences here. Accessible entrance on first floor, and accessible parking nearby.
A Z — Google review
Another overpriced experience at the Boardwalk. We were done in 15 minutes (the mirror maze took longer). My niece and nephew had a blast and wanted to do the laser maze again (it was a minute and a half), but I wasn't paying. Only two (an adult must accompany a child) can do the laser maze at a time. Personally I enjoyed the mirror maze more. It was challenging and not what I expected. We were the only ones there which made the experience better. This would be five stars if I felt my money gave us another few rounds. Glad I tried it but definitely not worth the price.
Heather G — Google review
There are two laser room options. In one you get 90 seconds to slice through the lasers and rack up points for how many you get. The second is where you dodge lasers, Mission Impossible style. In this room you can have one or two players and choose easy, medium, hard or expert. If you buy a pass for the mirror maze you get unlimited runs all day. We used our Get Out Pass for one free run through the laser slicing room. The kids came out laughing and begging for more. It got expensive quick as i dropped $50+ for an all day mirror maze pass and a few more runs through the laser rooms. Worth it though because the kids had a blast and ran out so much energy! We ran into friends and while us moms sat and chatted the kids ran through the mirror maze for another two hours. Expensive but if the kids stay entertained is worth it Instagram: @msbusyblonde

The mirror maze is quite fun, and tricky. I really enjoyed it, and so did my kids. The laser maze, however, not so much. It was okay, but nowhere near as fun as the mirror maze. The price was way too high, and as fun as it was, definitely not worth it, especially since it only takes about 30 minutes to get through both games. It would be a really good date activity, though.

We hosted my son’s 11th and 14th birthday here. I cannot say enough good things! The kids all had a blast! The staff were very helpful and friendly. They made cute little candy bags, provided drinks, cupcakes and all tableware. I am very happy we decided to host the party there! This was our first time going there and it’s definitely a repeat!

This is a wonderful aquarium! We had the best time here. The staff is knowledgeable and fun and the overall experience is educational and exciting. My beautiful girlfriend and I were selected for some test research that the aquarium is doing to see how their sloth "Squidney" feels about having a group of people pet her and feed her healthy little treats in a personal encounter. The building layout is wonderful and there are so many ways to be interactive and fully immersed in the experience. The food court closes by 4pm so make sure to eat before then.
Joshua F — Google review
Very short experience, however we got it as the bundle so didn't really have a problem with price. Although they were short, you can really have in the Maze and enter as much as you like. The laser game was fun on hard mode. Again they are very short if you plan to go to the boardwalk just for this I recommended looking into the other activities. The employee on deck was very friendly and cheerful!

Scottsdale Stadium is a renowned baseball venue in Arizona, serving as the spring training home for the San Francisco Giants and hosting the Scottsdale Scorpions for fall baseball. Situated in downtown Scottsdale, it offers a well-rounded experience with its proximity to local restaurants, clubs, and galleries. While it may not be bustling year-round, March brings an exciting atmosphere as Major League Baseball spring training takes place here.
Solid ballpark. Really enjoyed our spring training game in the sunshine. Shout out to the folks on the field who helped secure a baseball for a young fan. Made his day (and ours). And to the gal who took our group photo and had me sign her hat!

Stadium Seats in Sun or Shade?? Very nice spring training facility and good updates over the years it has been opened. Same as other sports venue prices have skyrocketed over the last 5 years - 19 or 24 oz beer is $16.50 + tax 🤪. Lawn Tickets are $40; tickets with a seat are at least $65 with the fees…. Location — there is a “roof” overhang that goes from 1st base side 310 around to 309 on 3rdbase side that provides shade. It gives shade to almost all of the seats in sections 300 - 310 (all rows) but these are metal “bleacher” seats with a back; the seats are numbered and they give you a decent amount of room. Row 1 on the third base side won’t get shade until the second inning - Rows 2 through 10 will have it the whole game. Sections 305 and 306 row 1, about seats 11-19, are obstructed by the railing (tall people can see over it but short people will have to look through the railing bars) 200 - 210 sections: Some of the upper rows in these sections on first base side will have shade as well as some of the upper rows on the third base side. Enjoy the game!

In the last two years, I've been lucky enough to visit Scottsdale Stadium for a couple of San Francisco Giants Spring Training games. There's heaps of parking everywhere. The stadium is easy to get in and out of. Navigation in the park is simple, and because it's a smaller ballpark, every seat is great. No nosebleeds here. Concessions are fine. The gem here is the SF Giants fan store that's chockablock full of all kinds of Spring Training gear. I grabbed one of the orange 2025 official Spring Training ball caps and a few more decals for my collection. See you next year, Scottsdale!

Great facility, convenient and free parking options, adequate restrooms and concessions. Only wish there were more varieties of food options and more diet drink options. And it would be nice if the beers were not $17 each.

The stadium is absolutely beautiful as it is reminiscent of old-school baseball stadiums with the nice bricks, friendly staff, and great food. It is super expensive, but the experience is definitely worth it. It’s almost like you’re in a time slip backwards.

The museum boasts an extensive collection of artifacts, including dinosaur displays, a Hohokam village, and gold panning activities. It has grown from a small collection to a spacious facility housing over 10,000 historical photos. Very enjoyable time for a family. We learned alot about Indian culture and AZ history. Great for adults and kids. We spent about 90 mins inside. - Ryan Comstock Realtor / Tucson / Oro Valley / eXp Realty

Took a family trip to the Museum and enjoyed it very much. My 4 year old Grandson loved the Dinosaur exhibits and especially liked panning for gold. You can't erase history it's happening everyday. Great Job to the Museum.

Me and the family had such a great time visiting the museum of natural history. My kids are infatuated with dinosaurs, so be able to see the fossils and skeletons was really neat to see their eyes light up. I love to exploring most of Arizona’s natural history as well. It was a very educational day for us and we are excited to come back.
Eric Z — Google review
A cool experience for everyone and I got in for free! Natives get in for free with Tribal ID. Lots to read and look at. Real fossils! I took my time and read just about everything I could. Even with it being crowded, we got in smoothly, and enjoyed our experience. It's 3 stories big. Take your time to look at everything. For $16! Worth it.

Please lower your standards and you will have a great time. Unfortunately for us we read in advance about all of their amazing features such as “the flood” and their animatronics. Nothing worked and quite frankly it was like walking into Bass Pro Shops. I gave them 2 stars because at least their staff was very nice.

Attended the Rock on the Rock fundraiser on Saturday, September 27th at the museum. First time attending the museum; enjoyed an amazing night of music, good food and learning about AZ history. Plan to visit again during regular hours for a tour and gaining more knowledge about the wonderful finds made throughout Arizona.

Educational and fun for the entire family! The interactive kids room was popular but not crowded on a Saturday afternoon. A wide variety of exhibits kept us busy for a couple of hours. Lots of dinosaurs, rocks, crystals & panning for gold, cultural relics of the indigenous Indians of the area, the jail, the mine, plus more. Lots to learn & see in a smaller museum. Fair entry prices. Clean restrooms & exhibits. Really fun museum! Well done!!!

Wonderful Museum displaying excellent replicates and some actual pieces of ancient artefacts. Nice focus on Arizona and Southwest artefacts and history. Very nice combination of geology, archeology, historty, sociology... photos, pieces of art... nicely laid out, the design lends toward an immersive feeling. Very children friendly, a nice little shop, several areas specifically for children... and elevator. There were 5 of us and our 2 hours there gave us a small percentage of what is there. We purchased season tickets in order to return. Very nice attendant. That also means you can include guests and privileges with other similar facilities. Plenty of parking. We went on a Friday, and it was very relaxed. I'm not putting captions as they are of about archealogical musuem 😆

I've got mixed feelings about this place. Some areas are quite scenic, in a quaint way. If you park on 2nd St (or was it Ave) at the Parking Corral and you walk around, you feel as if you are walking through a historical cowboy town for part of that street. It's nice to see some of the old museums and shops that are set up with an "old-fashioned" feel. However, in other areas, you see shop after shop after shop and you just wonder to yourself how do those small businesses manager to survive with so much competition around. It's just too overcrowded, and in the afternoons you can expect a bit of foot traffic. Expect more during the winter and early spring which is "snow bird season". At night, that's when it gets super packed especially on a Friday or Saturday. Everyone is out to eat and party. Parking will be hard to find and lots of people will be milling about- not my scene. :)

The Mission Old Town is a sophisticated restaurant and lounge that offers contemporary Latin cuisine and artisanal cocktails. It has two locations in Old Town and Kierland, each with its own unique ambiance. The Old Town location is situated next to The Old Adobe Mission, reflecting the area's rich history, while the Kierland counterpart boasts a more modern atmosphere with stylish decor and ample outdoor seating.
The food was wonderful, with large portions! We split the Shaved Kale Salad, and they brought out what looked like two full-size servings of salad. Service was great. We never felt rushed. The main dining area is very loud. Outside dining was much quieter. The outside dining in the back of the restaurant was much cooler than the front (east facing?). Reservations required.

We came here with our family an 8 top and they accommodated us wonderfully! We had a reservation and had excellent service. Most of us had drinks and they were all delicious! I had the steak tacos and wow it hit the spot! The meat is incredibly tender and full of flavor. We all loved the guacamole as well which we got 2 orders of. The energy here is very modern. We will definitely come back again. Definitely a great experience, service, food, and atmosphere!
Edis — Google review
We visited The Mission in Scottsdale after landing, with my husband, daughter-in-law, and grandson. It was just before the dinner hour, and while the restaurant itself had a nice setting, the service unfortunately left much to be desired. The hostess looked exhausted and not very welcoming, and our waitress greeted us with a tone right from the start. When my grandson asked if there were other drink options besides what she listed, she curtly responded, “What I told you is what we have, nothing else.” He then decided on a Shirley Temple, which arrived without any syrup and tasted off. When we mentioned it, she replied, “I made it and oh maybe the syrup is out,” but didn’t seem too concerned. The only time we saw her smile was when she handed my husband the check. On the positive side, the mahi mahi tacos were delicious. However, there were no food options for toddlers, and overall the service didn’t feel friendly or attentive. Considering the cost of dining out, it just wasn’t worth it. For us, this won’t be a place we try again.
DeAnna M — Google review
We had the carnitas for two - absolutely delicious. Highly recommend this meal. We also ordered the guacamole which was served and prepared table side, which was fantastic. They even allow you to measure the amount of heat with the Serano peppers, so if you like it spicy or mild, you could get it however you would like. Chips and salsa were top notch, thin, crispy chips, and a very good salsa that was light and refreshing. We got the duck empanadas for appetizer, which were absolutely delicious. Unlike any empanada I’ve ever eaten. For dessert, we got their homemade ice cream, I would consider it to basically be Mexican Street corn, which was really good and really unique and very light and taste and palate cleansing. Our waitress was outstanding and suggested are entrée and dessert which we were very grateful for!
Russ O — Google review
If you are looking for delicious 😋 Mexican come here I am vegan/vegetarian and ate butternut squash tacos(🌮 so good And the best I ever ate). I also had the cauliflower entree and it was also good. Then my husband raved about his braised short rib tacos and they were...a WOW factor! Our friends ordered chicken tacos and they were raving about theirs too. Jesse was an excellent waiter and took pictures of all of us.

We're from Austria in Europe and visited The Mission on our trip through the southwestern United States in our rented RV. We were quickly and easily assigned a table, and the friendly, smiling server immediately asked us what we wanted to drink and promptly brought water and the wine we ordered. The specialty, which most people eat here, is the guacamole. It's prepared at the table by a staff member and tastes delicious. A visit is definitely worth it; highly recommended. Klaus & Karin

It's been many years since we have been to The Mission, so I was happy to return for a birthday meal. They sat us promptly at our reservation time and I received excellent attention from all staff, including some happy birthday wishes. The table side guac is always a nice treat with a marg. I forgot you can sit outside, may try that next time.
Natalie B — Google review
Service was a bit slower than expected but overall a really great experience. The guac is top tier, I was going to order the corn and the server immediately made me change my mind and I don’t regret switching. You can tell the fresh preparation in all of the food. I’d definitely come back again when visiting Arizona.

What a great hike! We took our 6 year old here and he had no problem running up the trail in front of us. It was a bit steep but not a difficult hike at all. The views are wonderful and we would do it again! The trail is very well maintained as well!

Great hike for easy to moderate hike with 360⁰ views. While there is a fair amount of elevation change, the 2 mile trail is very well maintained with steps, benches, and signage. It's a 4 mile out and back or can be through-hiked. The park facility is very good. I'm not a super fast hiker but did the out and back in about 2 hours.

The Scottsdale Historical Museum, located in the heart of Old Town Scottsdale, offers a compact yet captivating look into the city's rich history and cultural heritage. Housed in the historic Little Red Schoolhouse dating back to 1909, this museum features exhibits that highlight various aspects of Scottsdale's past. Visitors can explore displays on early settlers, ranching and farming traditions, as well as the influence of tourism on the area.
Housed in the charming Little Red Schoolhouse, this museum is absolutely adorable. It radiates that small-town feel I love—quaint, welcoming, and full of character. Though modest in size, it offers a rich and engaging history of Scottsdale, packed with interesting facts and thoughtful displays. My favorite parts were the reimagined rooms from eras gone by—they really transport you. Even better? Admission is free. I made a final donation in the cash box and signed the guest book on my way out, feeling grateful for the experience. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area and want a dose of local history wrapped in charm.

My daughter wanted to visit a museum for her birthday and chose this one…it was such a fun and unique experience! Optical illusions, 3D illusions (with and without mirrors) and brain puzzles…something for everyone! There were employees available at most photo op stations to happily pose us and take our picture. Also, lots of fun hands-on puzzles in the gift shop (where it all begins and ends) available to sharpen your skills, play with and buy! We had a great time!

The staff is really cool and helpful. Leo and Mitchell were really nice. Staff helps get some great photos. Thought this was going to be silly but really enjoyed and got some great pictures of illusions

Topgolf Scottsdale is a sprawling entertainment venue offering a high-tech driving range and a stylish lounge with drinks and games. With over 100 hitting bays, it provides full-service bars and a rooftop terrace with fire pits for an active evening in the desert. The venue also features a live music lounge at Omni Montelucia, Mbar, where patrons can enjoy specialty tapas and fruity sangrias.
We had a great time playing — but the wait was INSANE. 2 hours on a weekday?! That sucked so much. Once we finally got in we were pretty tired, so that was a bummer. But the food was good, especially the tots 🤤 The different game play was cool too.

Topgolf Scottsdale is an absolute blast and a must-visit spot in Arizona! From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels vibrant and welcoming. The setup is modern, spacious, and perfect for groups of friends, families, or even corporate outings. The staff here are consistently friendly and attentive, making sure your experience is smooth from start to finish. The golfing bays are well-maintained, and the technology makes the game fun for both beginners and experienced players. The climate-controlled bays are a lifesaver in Arizona’s heat, so you can enjoy yourself comfortably year-round. One of the best parts is that you don’t need to be a pro golfer to have fun—the games are designed for all skill levels, which makes it inclusive and entertaining. The food and drinks really exceeded expectations. The menu offers a great variety, from shareable appetizers to hearty mains, and everything comes out fresh and flavorful. Their cocktails are also spot-on and make the outing even more enjoyable. What I love most is how Topgolf Scottsdale combines sports, dining, and socializing all in one place. It’s more than just golf—it’s a full experience. Highly recommend this location for anyone looking for fun in Scottsdale!

Had the chicken tacos, nacho average nachos, and cheesy macaroni bites. All were great. Awesome and fast service. Fun place to hang out.
Jerrod B — Google review
This was my first time and it was so much fun. Their prices are also a bargain. A lot of the games are repetitive but it doesn’t matter because TopGolf is just fun in general. I do think the tables that are at the center & higher floors are way better than the tables on the sides/lower floors though. I’m a novice golfer and was able to get decent points just because the placement of my table made the game easier.
Elsy D — Google review
Top Golf is just fun. When prices are so great on Sundays, why wouldn't you go and take the family!
Marika C — Google review
I came here a couple of days ago and really had a great time. I’m not a golfer at all, but the games were easy to get into, and actually pretty fun. Prices felt fair, and the whole place had a really chill vibe. Perfect spot for hanging out with friends for a few hours. I’d definitely come back.

My family just had a great time here! We had my husband, myself, 3 kids ages 8-12 and my parents, in their 70s. My father is a golfer but none of the rest of us are. We had a blast! The server came over the perfect number of times to check on us… not too intrusive, but always there if we needed. My kids had a great time with the games available. We have a lefty and a righty of each age and the appropriate clubs were brought over for us. The only thing I will say is that we were assigned a bay on the third floor and I was a little bit nervous with my jumpy eight year-old. There is a safety net, but still, a mom is a mom. But I hadn’t been there before… on my way out I asked if a first floor bay can be reserved and they said to just write it in the notes. Now I know! We will definitely be back.

Expensive but it's worth it. You will not forget this experience in the least. Fun for all ages.. my 9 ur old loved it and my 80 yr old mother wants to go next time lol. Buy at least 3 to 4 flights to start. If there isn't another full class right after you may be able to add another flight or 2.. And at the end they have a fun demonstration of the flight instructor doing tricks that was awesome ..

Ours was a corporate fun day, we had about 24 folks. Everyone that wanted to could fly easily four times, several six times, and opportunity was made for even more. All included. The food was great and drinks. The atmosphere is exciting and the staff is first rate great. Everyone was professional, pleasant, and very able at their jobs. I had knee surgery so couldn't fly but everyone from our team that did had a great time. I can highly recommend this as a place to have some fun. I can safely say that this would be one of the most fun activities you could ever try. Each “flight” was around one minute, not a long time but sure looked like fun. I took videos of all our people and don’t know what they provide or cost. It’s not a cheap day, but nothing is anymore.

This is the best place for adventures. The 12 year old loved his birthday flying. The whole experience exceeded my expectations. Great friendly staff, clear instructions, wonderful personality and not pushy for extras. You get to observe or fly on the same space clear views all around the tunnel. Photos and videos are encouraged and they pose the flyer so you can get that perfect shot. 10000000% recommend

So we went to ifly phx on 10-7-25, Kyle was our instructor. When we first arrived a very nice guy helped us get checked in, I wish I had gotten everyone's name because they were all worthy of being mentioned by name. We went up stairs and met Kyle who was our instructor. He was really awesome! Very friendly and outgoing! All the guys up there you could really tell love kids! I took my 3 year old autistic grand son Landon and my 4 year old alena as well as my 2 adult sons. They all had a great time. I was sincerely touched by how everyone was with the kids tho! Landon had been in the car all day to that point before our appointment so he was cranky and a little over stimulated! So many of the guys came over and tried to visit with him and get him to just get his attention diverted and play with him! Great group of people! I didn't fly with everyone today but my dream is to sky dive next year with one of my sons that came with me today and anther one that was at home! I highly recommend ifly phoenix!!! Great experience for all of us!!! Ty all!! Kari Smith

Throughout the course, golfers can charge their balls using blacklight tubes and encounter fun challenges like a spinning wheel that dictates unconventional shot techniques. The staff is friendly and helpful, ensuring an enjoyable visit.
Family of 4 and we had a BLAST!!!! 18 holes and challenging which keeps you on your toes. Great atmosphere and the man running the place was very friendly. Love the recharging stations. Cool how bright the ball comes out ready for putting. Nice big room for parties. We went during the day so it wasn't busy at all!! Well thought decor!!!

We love this indoor glow putt location. It's small, but still roomy enough to fit 18 holes of mini golf and have fun. We've been several times and my kids (and their friends) love it, even the teenagers!!! I think, comparably, the pricing is reasonable. There is a party room in back we've never used but looks nice, and air hockey as well for $1. Highly recommend. Just make sure to read what hole # you're going to. The hole #'s follow a weird pattern, and people get confused all the time (we messed up the 1st time too), but then they won't notice and mess others up around them.

This place was an awesome find for something to take my kids to. I have a 13-year-old, an almost 7-year-old, 5-year-old, and 2 and 1/2-year-old. Me and my mom were in town for an appointment and always take the kids to some type of activity and I found this place searching online and it did not disappoint. The prices were very reasonable the course was a good size so kept everyone entertained for quite a while and I think me and my mom had just as much fun if not more fun than the kids. This will definitely be a regular visit for us whenever we are in the area. Also my only hole-in-one all night was the last hole which earned me a free bonus round of golf that I will be redeeming the next time I am over there.

Great place to have some cheap fun with the kids. And they love the fact at the 18th hole. You get a chance to win a card to play free for your next visit. We will definitely be coming back more often

Had a great time overall. 11 something to play. 18 holes. The three of us were pretty hot. They were kind to say they could adjust one to 70 but that majority of the place was unable to be changed. We were all kind of sticky ya know? The putters made our hands black so it would be nice if they were cleaned every now and again. They had drinks for sale about 2$ and up like water, Gatorade, soda. Overall had a good time and may be back.

Glow Putt Mini Golf is such a cool spot! The glow-in-the-dark theme makes it exciting and different from regular mini golf. The course is well maintained, and the designs are creative and fun. Perfect for kids and adults. We laughed the whole time and had a great family outing. Highly recommend for a fun date night or weekend activity.

My husband and I were excited to try Glowing Putt Mini Golf for a fun evening out. Their website says they close at 10:00 PM and that the last game starts at 9:15 PM. We arrived exactly at 9:15 PM, but the girl working at the front — with long brown curly hair — told us she had already stopped accepting people at 9:10 PM so she could close early and leave by 9:30 PM. We let her know we would be quick and just wanted a short game. At that moment, other guests started to arrive as well, and she said she couldn’t let us in because then she’d have to accept them too. My husband responded that would be a good thing for business. She asked, “Good for who?” We replied, “Good for everyone — we get to play, and you get more customers.” She answered, “How is that good for me? I won’t get paid more,” and then refused to provide service. It was disappointing to be turned away even though we arrived within the posted hours. We weren't asking for anything outside of policy — just to be treated fairly. It’s unfortunate that a personal decision by one staff member prevented us and others from enjoying the experience. Hopefully, management will address this to ensure guests are welcomed during the times the business advertises.

It’s not just about shows; this center also plays host to festivals and educational programs that engage both locals and visitors alike.
Great concert venue. The rows are high enough above each other that the person in front of you shouldn't block your view of the stage. This is the view from H1.

I have been to several music events at this venue. The sound is outstanding! The venue has an intimate seating arrangement, allowing for excellent viewing from any seat. My one complaint is that the seating chart needs to identify a wall that blocks the outside seats, and you can not exit into the aisle. You must walk back across all the seats into the interior aisle to exit.

This post is way over due, but here it is. I attended the Randy Travis Tribute. I use a wheelchair part time and bought a regular seat. At the time of my purchase I was not using my chair. The week of the show I had a flare up but I was not about to miss seeing one of my favorite artists. So, I showed up early and spoke with staff. The show was sold out. However, they were so sweet and accommodating. Someone from staff sat me and took my chair to a safe spot. I was even given a cell number if I needed my chair at any point during the show. I was so impressed with the kindness and assistance I received. I will definitely come back for future events here. The staff is amazing and the facility is very nice. Thank you to everyone, including all of the patrons who assisted me to my seat. You were all angels.

Beautiful venue, acoustics are fantastic. Seats were quite comfy and you don’t feel like you are smooshed to the people next to you. Do be thoughtful of the fact that there are a number of stairs involved if you are sitting close to the stage. I would also add that if you want to park in the closest ramp, you will want to arrive at least an hour before the show starts to ensure a spot.

Excellent burger joint. The PB&J burger was my favorite. The Spicy Mac and Cheese Burger was also very tasty. The burgers are very flavorful. The pretzel bun was great, I wish I had also tried the brioche bun to compare. I would highly recommend visiting here.

Solid place with super friendly and helpful staff. They seem to have a friendly and polite group of regulars as well. The drinks are on the low side of price especially for that area. The burgers are gigantic. I ordered the BYOB burger that came with fresh lettuce, tomatoes, and onions. The burger was served hot and quickly with an appealing presentation. The meat was good quality and it was tasty enough for me to finish the entire thing with ease despite its size. I have to give a 4 because the burger was slightly overcooked and came out medium instead of medium rare. I would go back and eat the burger again.
Jason B — Google review
When we first walked in there was a weird smell that almost made me leave. Maybe a spoiled mop or something, not sure. Our waitress was very polite and attentive. We ordered mild wings and two Cajun chicken sandwiches. The wings were really good and I wish that was all we ordered and the only reason for two stars. The sandwiches didn't taste anything like Cajun seasoning. The chicken was so salty we couldn't finish it. I tried adding the garlic sauce...even dipped it in the remaining hot sauce from the wings and that didn't help. It was surprisingly gross. I guess that's what we get for ordering chicken sandwiches at a burger spot. If the meat wasn't so salty, it might have possibly been a decent sandwich.

Chill vibes. Amazing food. Homemade tortilla chips have a great flavor. Guacamole is like nothing else. Nachos Tacos burger was a huge bang for my buck. Top recommendation for Scottsdale!

The atmosphere here is absolutely wonderful and there is so much to see while waiting for food or drinks. I had the mango margarita and it was very good. Chili cheese fries were very good as well. We had the pbj and bacon burger and the spicy mac daddy burger along with all 3 side choices. The burgers were okay. The meat flavor gets a little lost with all the flavors and ingredients in those burgers. The Mac and cheese wasn't as creamy as I was hoping but had great flavor. They do give you a pretty decent amount of food.

Visited for the first time yesterday and will be returning sooner than later for sure! The staff was incredibly friendly, we were sat immediately on a Saturday which was a nice surprise, the atmosphere inside is awesome but we chose to enjoy the last of the nice weather out on the patio during our visit. Cassie our server was amazing, very personable, attentive, paced our burgers to come out after the wings so we could enjoy a little appetizer before getting our entree’s. We really appreciated the attention to detail. As for the food.. OMG the wings were out of this world, do yourself a favor and get the blue cheese dressing. The burgers were amazing as well, we split a hangover burger and a blue cheese bacon burger I can’t remember the exact name of, but both were so flavorful and juicy, the veggies were crisp and fresh, the fries were a highlight as well! This place is awesome!

Old Town Tortilla Factory is a charming Mexican restaurant located in the heart of Old Town Scottsdale, AZ. The restaurant features a beautiful garden patio with ample seating and patio heaters for winter months. With a tequila bar offering 140 premium tequilas and award-winning margaritas, it's the perfect spot for any occasion.
Outdoor space is great when weather allows! Neat spot with old traditional ambience. Gluten free menu available with a good variety of food, attached in pics. Tried the red enchiladas, and did not think they had any flavor. They are also very small, and only available in chicken, can't sub other meat. Waiter was very nice and accommodating to help me find a meal I would like and replace it. Guacamole is great and chips are gluten free too. Red chili pork chop had a great presentation and even better flavor.

If you are looking for authentic, tasty food and great service, go here. Our server Jay was extremely sweet, helpful and a pleasure to be around. Everything was so tasty and there were options for Vegans as well. I modified a salad but it was not a basic salad. They also had a chocolate cake slice that was HUGE. This was our second visit to this fun Mexican restaurant. Old Town Tortilla Factory is located in Old Town Scottsdale's art district. In a historic 75-year old adobe home. Nice atmosphere with plenty of room for big parties.

I was in Mesa for work and a co-worker recommended this restaurant. It did not disappoint. The roasted jalapeno margarita was delicious (and spicy). The elote was 🔥. I had the Pasta Calabacitas and I wish I could recreate this dish. It was phenomenal. The fresh tortilla with garlic butter was a fun treat. I sat outside (it was 105) because of the vibe. The misting set-up made it quite comfortable. There was a little bird who kept jumping on my table to try and get a snack. It was cute. I cannot wait to return. My server was so nice as well. She's a teacher who went to Mizzou. I can't remember her name, but if management sees this, please reward her.

We made a return trip to this restaurant in Scottsdale! The first time we came it was a weekend and we had a bit of a wait but so worth it! The staff is friendly, always have a smile, and the service is good. They have good portions of food, the drinks are wonderful (and are delivered so colorfully) The outside patio has so much room! There is a beautiful water fountain placed almost central on the patio. At night, there are lights hanging -it says “ambiance”! I would recommend this place to anyone that visits Scottsdale AZ.

While the service and atmosphere at the Old Tortilla Factory were commendable, unfortunately, the food fell extremely short of expectations; especially for Mexican food in Arizona. The chips tasted store-bought and lacked flavor, while both the rice and beans were bland—the beans seemed canned and unseasoned. Despite this, our server was attentive, especially considering our large group, ensuring our drinks were promptly refilled. Hopefully, improvements to the menu can match the quality of the service and ambiance.

With over 30 rotating taps featuring local and regional breweries, it's a haven for beer enthusiasts.
Craft 64 offers a great Old Town Scottsdale dining experience with locally brewed beers and quality pizzas in a welcoming environment. The combination of refreshing craft beverages, well-executed pizza offerings, and versatile seating options makes this spot a worthwhile addition to your dining rotation. The pepperoni pizza strikes an excellent balance with the perfect ratio of pepperoni to mozzarella. Each slice delivers consistent flavor throughout, showcasing the kitchen's attention to proper ingredient distribution and quality components. The crust came out more on the crispy side which I appreciate. Calibrate your order accordingly though! While I've only sampled a portion of their menu so far, the variety appears impressive enough to warrant return visits to explore more of their offerings. On the beverage front, the Rocky Point Blonde stands out as particularly refreshing. As someone who appreciates locally brewed beers, I found this selection to be a perfect complement to the pizza, offering a clean, crisp flavor profile. They have both indoor and outdoor seating options, creating flexibility for different weather conditions and dining preferences. It's worth noting that as summer approaches, the outdoor seating may become less comfortable due to rising temperatures, something to consider when planning your visit since I don't recall seeing misters of any sort. Should you choose to dine at Craft 64, I hope you enjoy the experience as much as I did!

Sat down and ordered at the bar, ordered the Burratta Fresca pizza and the bartender misheard and put in there fresco salad. She did course correct and got us the pizza quickly. She asked my partner if she wanted a drink she said just water, but never asked me just assumed for both. When the pizza came out again was not asked if I wanted a drink or if we needed anything else. The staff was just hanging out behind the bar, at one point I looked around the restaurant and I saw two servers talking to each other on the floor and he lifted up his shirt and I got to see his hairy stomach. Really was not a good look. At the end of the meal we asked for a box, had to wait while she ran food and poured drinks all while there was a server standing behind the bar when she could of asked her to grab one for her. The food , the pizza wasn’t the best, for the style of wood fired crust it could of been better, was a little too charcoal forward and all the ingredients on the pizza were too heavy. You couldn’t just pick up the slice. I know it’s a Fresca pizza but the only thing cooked on it was the mozz and sauce when I thought the burrata and heirloom tomatoes would of been cooked too. $25 for a 12in pie is also a lot even for being a specialty pie., if I’m going to spend that I will walk 2 doors down to Virtu and have a superior experience, food, and ambiance.

Service was excellent- Kate took great care of us! Atmosphere was casual and friendly- food and drink options were plentiful. We started with the caprese salad and then ordered the margherita and tipsy pig pizzas. Everything was fresh and delicious. We really weren’t interested in fine dining while in Scottsdale, and I’m really glad we found Craft 64. It was a very high quality casual spot. Highly recommend!

Great pizza and friendly service! The mozzarella and pizza dough is made in house. The bottom and crust of the pizzas nicely done in both pizzas we got. We went for a late lunch, around 2, and service was quick. We had the pepperoni and Anaheim, with one of the seasonal salads. All great. Anaheim is labeled spicy, but it’s not overly so, just enough for a kick. There were other selections like pasta and sandwiches available, too.

Garlic bread, pepperoni pizza, dessert calzone…literally all delicious and worth returning for. My husband had the house made root beer and said it was great. Presentation was nice. Place was clean. Our server didn’t really come back to check on us until just before bringing us the check; we actually sat with our table cleared for several minutes while he checked in with the people right next to us and chatted with fellow workers. He never did refill my husband’s soda, which was empty halfway through our time there. So not really sure what’s up with that. But otherwise everyone was nice and a woman thanked us on our way out, which was a nice way to end our visit.

If you're craving a cozy Italian escape without leaving Scottsdale, Craft 64 is where it’s at. Nestled in a charming, welcoming space that feels part wine bar, part neighborhood kitchen, this spot is perfect for laid-back lunches with bold flavors. From the jump, our experience was made even better by Daniel—our attentive and easygoing server who made sure everything hit the mark. He kept the vibe fun and the table full. We kicked things off with the mozzarella and tomato starter—a fresh, vibrant Caprese-style dish with thick-sliced tomato, creamy mozzarella, and a dusting of basil. Paired with hearty toasted bread, it had all the flair of bruschetta but with a richer, cleaner finish. Then came the homemade meatballs, bathed in a rustic marinara and melted cheese. These were fork-tender and seasoned just right—Italian comfort food at its best. And let’s not forget the Italian sausage, which brought a bold, smoky depth to the table. The grand finale? A pepperoni pizza that deserves a standing ovation. Wood-fired perfection with those beautifully charred bubbles along the crust, generous slices of pepperoni, and that golden cheese melt you dream about. Each bite was a flavor bomb—crispy, chewy, spicy, savory. From start to finish, Craft 64 nailed it. It's one of those rare spots where the food, atmosphere, and service all align into something memorable. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, this is a must-visit for lovers of Italian food, craft pizza, and good vibes. A fine lunch had by all, indeed.

Not joking the Honey Bee is the best pizza I have ever had. I live in Manhattan and the Honey Bee here is elite. Plus the craft beer selection is great. They have a type for every want. This is a must hit whenever I am in Scottsdale. So good and always look forward to it!!

cool hang out with a good beer selection. I tried a few local options and also two pizzas, one pepperoni and jalepeno and one regular pepperoni. not a huge fan of the crust so unfortunately didnt do it for me. good atmosphere and I would probably go back to try other menu options.

When visiting Scottsdale, Arizona with the family, consider spending time at CrackerJax Family Fun and Sports Park. Unlike larger amusement parks with intense rides, this park offers a more intimate setting focused on outdoor activities suitable for all ages. From mini-golf and go-karts to arcade games, there's something for everyone. It's an ideal spot for families looking to have fun together in a safe environment.
Fun. Fun and more fun for kids of all ages. Birthday party's and individuals. A bit pricey but you have everything in one place. Mini golf, adult driving range, go carts, bumper boats, arcade, laser tag, fast food and party rooms for birthdays. Mom's and dad's will love it because the kids can run around safely. Recommended.

We played mini golf, it was so much fun. Definitely will go back. I hope the greens are cleaned up a bit more though. There was a lot of tree debris that got in the way of my perfect scores, lol.
MARNA G — Google review
Wow, this place is run downed. The management does not put anything back into the park. The miniature golf courses are in shambles. Missing art leaves the holes empty and barren; holes that should go into tubes are covered up. The interactive structures are broken or boarded up. The greens are in terrible shape and affect the gameplay. As for the game room, half are out of order. The games can cost $1 to $2 to play - not cheap for outdated games. It’s a shame because it looks like it was once a fun place to go.

Haven't golfed for 2 1/2 yrs since I got married. Time to get out, so I decided to hit some balls. Good place to get a workout but need to go to real golf course to practice putts and short game.

Staff is friendly and is clean compared to other amusement parks. Have grown up race cars and kid race cars, bumper boats, 3 sections mini gulf for 1 price $7 , bumper cables, water spray game, batting cage, gulf shots and small arcade w prizes for tickets. Bathrooms and small junk food restraunt. Kid birthday room can rent.
Andrea D — Google review
The driving range is old and kind of run down, but the prices are good. $12 for 110 golf balls. There's a constant whirring and buzzing that's annoying from their conveyor system, but can be tuned out with headphones.
Michael J — Google review
Don’t waste your money, this place is poorly managed and rundown. We learned after purchasing wrist bands (4- $138.00) passes, our kids couldn’t ride the go karts and bumper boats due to their height requirements; which is 48”and our child is 46”. Their website also shares that they have smaller go karts for children to ride which they no longer have. They don’t give refunds. Staff was rude and disrespectful after we shared our concerns.

I had a blast going to CrackerJax to play some late-night mini-golf for the first time. Discovered that I am not too good at it, but was fun none the less. It was dark, so I wasn't able to take in the whole establishment, but what I could tell, it looked like there were a lot of activities to experience. I feel some renovations might improved the appearance and bring in more business. Hope to bring my kids back soon and try the bumper boats and go karts!

Bowling alley
Mavrix is a vibrant entertainment venue located in Scottsdale's Talking Stick Entertainment District. It offers an array of activities suitable for all ages, including 22 bowling lanes with augmented reality and video game technology, laser tag, a large arcade, pool tables, and multiple bars. Additionally, it features an outdoor beer garden and event space. Visitors can enjoy classic American cuisine at the on-site restaurant while taking a break from the excitement.
Your Family Entertainment Destination Eat, Drink, Play is exactly what we did while taking advantage of the VIP Spark Lounge. The lanes are interactive and bring a whole new elevated bowling experience. Enjoy crave worthy, upscale eats and delicious sweet treats. We enjoyed the high energy arcade games, a little laser tag to work off our food and that wrapped up our experience at one of our favorite neighborhood destinations for family fun.

So my son wanted to go bowling and thanks to Google, we can always find the right place! There was another bowling alley that was closer to us but we chose to go with the higher rated one and when we arrived, we could understand why! The atmosphere & vibe at Mavrix was fun and inviting! It literally grabs the attention of any age group! So many TVs, many places to sit and chill or play arcades or bowl or laser tag. And if you feel like getting the VIP treatment-just ask! There’s a spot for that too!! The staff was really friendly and our waitress was awesome! She made sure that we had drinks in hand at all times and that we were enjoying our time. The food was so good! Especially the cauliflower bites and cheese bites-the kids ate them so fast we had to order a second! This was the perfect place to enjoy some great family time!

Nobody helping or taking food order. I honestly could self serve. They obviously are oblivious in this establishment. I was impressed not so much because I am standing here waiting for the last half hour. No manager but I will get a name.

Attended a corporate event for our Xmas party. They did not have enough food.We waited 2 hours to get served and still didn’t even have a chance to eat. The sound system was horrible, it was a small place and the devices was bad. They tried to compensate us with tickets for 2 free hours of bowling but it’s expired.

Went here for my 27th birthday today with my parents for some bowling and food. My parents are older and can be a very big handful at times. The woman at the front desk was VERY sweet and answered all my mom's draining questions with a smile, confidence, and respect. Most fold/break under the pressure of them(seriously!). I didnt get her name but she deserves a raise!(stawberry blonde or light brown hair..idk) The food and server were also great(a lot better than my usual bowling alley). The strings on the bowling pins are questionable... but, hey, atleast I dont have to ask for maintenance to fix the pins for me every time they get stuck. A good selection of beer and arcade games!(halo is my favorite!) Thank you for the ease of process and getting us in a little early. Will be back!

If you’re at Mavericks and you’re not sitting in Mia’s section, you’re doing it wrong. Hands down, she is the BEST server around — and I don’t say that lightly. We’ve had the pleasure of being taken care of by her twice now, and both times she absolutely blew us away. I’ve worked in the service industry for most of my life, so trust me when I say I notice everything — and Mia nails it all. Attentive without hovering, personable without being fake, and just overall on top of her game. The level of service she provides is rare these days. Honestly, I cannot recommend her enough. If you’re coming here, do yourself a favor and ONLY ask for Mia. She’s the kind of server that makes you want to come back just for the experience she creates. Absolute rockstar.

If you're looking for an exciting escape from the Arizona heat, AZ on the Rocks is your go-to destination! This expansive indoor rock climbing gym boasts a whopping 14,000 square feet of climbing terrain, featuring walls that reach nearly 30 feet high. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced climber, there’s something for everyone here. With options like top roping, bouldering, and lead climbing available, you can hone your skills while having a blast.
I had such a great experience at AZ on the Rocks both climbing and bouldering! Daniel, Beth, and Nathan were all super helpful and kind by getting us equipment and showing us the ropes and foundations for climbing! Awesome gym and staff!
Ella R — Google review
This place rocks! The kids wanted to try something new and the environment is SO empowering! As first time climbers, they were taught to handle their own gear safely and effectively. The climbing gym itself felt to them like an open book of opportunity. The confidence and smiles were overwhelming. We spent over 3 hours on a completely new activity and all were happy.
Jessica J — Google review
My daughter and I usually climb at Phoenix Rock Gym but we decided to give this gym a try today. They had an orientation video that had as much advertising material as it did safety material. There was a note below the video saying which parts to ignore because it was so out of date. It covered bouldering and their auto belay system, not how to top rope climbing without an auto belay. At every other gym in the valley I have climbed at you can show up, watch the safety video, be given a short period of instruction, and then they’ll have you and your partner climb a little bit while they make sure you are safe. Here, if you want to climb without auto belay you have to take a test, but they will not give you instruction first. Since most other gyms already have the grigri on the ropes we didn’t know how to hook it up so failed and weren’t allowed to climb anything but the auto belays, which is only 6 of their roughly 25 or so ropes. The whole thing was pretty crazy, the guy who tested us said even if you pay for their two hour belay class you can’t test that same day, you have to come back another day to take the test, and he said it’s common for people to fail. They claim this is all required for their insurance, but no other gym in the valley that I have been to has these sorts of rules. I would definitely recommend Phoenix Rock Gym or Climbmax over AZ On the Rocks.

I love this venue. It’s not about fitting multiple spaces in one building it’s about connection and expression of our playful and adventurous sides. To nurture the energy we have effectively in a safe environment. The staff is very respectful, kind and responsive. The equipment and facilities are clean, comfortable & welcoming. It’s certainly going to be a place you want to come back to again and again. You’ll want to support their business as much as you can because you believe in their purpose. Definitely makes me feel like that too!

If you're looking for a fun and challenging way to get in shape while having a blast, then AZ on the Rocks is the place for you! We recently visited this indoor rock climbing gym, and must say it exceeded all of our expectations. The gym is clean and well-maintained, and the staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and always available to help. The equipment is top-notch, with various climbing walls and routes. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced climber, there's something for everyone at AZ on the Rocks. One thing that impressed me was the emphasis on safety. Before you climb, the staff gives you a thorough orientation on how to use the equipment properly and ensures that you're fitted with the appropriate gear. They also have trained staff to belay you as you climb so that you can feel confident and secure throughout your entire session. I also appreciate that AZ on the Rocks offers classes and programs for climbers of all levels, from basic skills workshops to advanced technique classes. Whether you're looking to climb for fun or compete at a higher level, there's something for you here. Overall, we had a fantastic experience at AZ on the Rocks and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun and challenging workout or a great way to spend time with friends and family. Five stars all the way!
Anna T — Google review
The most fun you will ever have with your pants on. I would call it a workout but it's too much fun, it's like trying to solve a puzzle while on an endorphin high. I will definitely be back, might even move here. Brixx was very helpful and walked us through the things we didn't understand. One of my most favorite places in Arizona
Riley M — Google review
Good place to learn how to climb. They’re strict on their rules imo but if you want to learn safely and strictly this is a good place to do it. About half 40 percent of the gym is dedicated to bouldering and about 60 percent is dedicated to climbing.
Nick W — Google review
We had a great time at this facility. I would say that a majority of the routes are more difficult. There is one easy peasy rainbow route and two adjacent that are beginner doable but not "easy". The staff was wonderful and the facility was spacious and really neat. This place is great for newbies and those looking for a challenge. There is even a gym upstairs.

If you're looking for a fantastic indoor escape in Scottsdale, especially during those sweltering summer days, look no further than Mini Social. This delightful play space caters to children aged 5 and under, offering an array of toys and engaging activities that spark joy and creativity. Nestled next to Zoolikins, it’s the perfect spot for little ones to socialize while parents can relax at the cozy café serving drinks and snacks.
Luke & Jess at Mini Social were wonderful to work with on our business networking event. We hosted this in the morning and the space was light and bright, inviting to everyone who entered. Luke provided us a lot of flexibility and accommodations as needed. I've walked by this space in Old Town Scottsdale at least a 100 times and it's charming and can be setup in so many ways. I was so happy our organization was able to host an event here. Thank you. Highly recommended.

We had the BEST baby shower at Mini Social. I was blown away and will recommend them to every one! Luke and his wife were so helpful and accommodating. The space was clean, spacious and came together better than I could have imagined. We had about 45 people and there was plenty of room. We added on the beverage station and champagne wall which was an amazing touch! We will definitely host more events here! Couldn't have asked for a better venue for my special day!

I can’t recommend Mini Social enough! Luke & Jess (owners) were an absolute dream to work with and truly brought my vision for my baby shower to life. From start to finish, the process was seamless—they handled every detail, so I didn’t have to worry about a thing. The team went above and beyond to make my guests feel special, and the space itself was perfect: beautiful, comfortable, and exactly what I was looking for. Thank you, Mini Social, for making such an important day so memorable and stress-free! Would highly recommend!

We hosted my mom’s retirement party at Mini Social AZ, and I can’t say enough good things about the entire experience. From start to finish, everything was seamless, the event truly went off without a hitch! The space itself was beautiful and versatile, but what really made it special were the added bartending and décor services, which were worth every single penny. The atmosphere felt warm, elevated, and perfectly tailored to the occasion. Every little detail was thoughtfully handled, allowing us to just enjoy the moment and celebrate my mom’s incredible milestone. The owners were phenomenal, extremely communicative, supportive, and so detail-oriented. You can tell they truly care about the people and events they host. It made all the difference in feeling confident and stress-free throughout the planning process. If you’re looking for a venue that offers style, service, and heart, Mini Social AZ is it. We’re so grateful we chose them for such a meaningful celebration!

I can’t speak highly enough of this fantastic event space! It was a well supplied, neutral backdrop for our sweet as can bee baby shower today. Luke was great in planning our details and making recommendations to some beautiful add on services they offered. It couldn’t have been more perfect, we would definitely recommend and use again! Thanks Mini Social!

I hosted a baby shower at Mini Social on 8/2 and it could not have been a better experience! The facility was spotless, well-maintained and beautifully bright with lots of light. I planned the shower from another state, so communication was key. Luke was prompt in his responses, clear, and genuinely helpful. He went above and beyond to accommodate special needs and make sure everything was set up just as I asked. This venue is perfect for celebrations of all kinds, and honestly, I cannot recommend Mini Social more highly.

Scottsdale Civic Center is a spacious outdoor area featuring beautifully landscaped gardens, charming fountains, and captivating artworks. It serves as a vibrant hub for diverse cultural events. The Sedona Arts Center's Fine Art Gallery showcases an extensive collection of artwork by local artists, ranging from professional to emerging talents. Visitors can explore various styles and mediums such as photography, jewelry, and fiber arts that represent Sedona's dynamic arts scene.
There were so many improvements to the Scottsdale Civic Center! It took me a few minutes to recognize the area, and I worked in the hotel years ago! What was previously an angled concrete area with fountains is now a large grassy area settled like an amphitheater with a splash pad and playground. There is plenty of seating throughout the grounds, sling with sculptures, murals, and fountains. I can imagine the concerts and public gatherings gmhsppenjbg in the area, and local families enjoying the playground and splash pad.

Like other reviews state, it’s basically become a place solely for Homeless. Bathrooms are full of graffiti, blood, and drug paraphernalia. Homeless take up all the seating with their bikes, luggage, and shopping carts. I feel bad for the mothers and children that used to primarily use it. Always homeless people fighting and smoking when I walk up there

I've always loved walking here since Scottsdale built this area. The grass is always green, the fountains are usually working and the flowers are fun to look at. There is something always going on and it's a quick walk to get to Old Town Scottsdale.

Nestled within the lush surroundings of Chaparral Park, Chaparral Dog Park is a delightful haven for both dogs and their owners. Spanning an impressive 2/3 of an acre, this park boasts separate areas designed for active and passive pups, ensuring that every furry friend can find their perfect play spot. With its generous shade structures, benches for humans to relax on, and ample trees providing natural cover, it’s a comfortable retreat on sunny days.
This is my favorite park. We go every day just about. Been going for years. It’s super well kept and always full of life. The people who go here imo seem to be more aware and pay more attention to their dogs than most parks. Makes it a much safer (and cleaner) place. If the dog park ever gets too crowded too there’s an awesome walking path all around chaparral that’s just as well maintained.

This is the largest and best dog park in Scottsdale with sections for Active and Passive dogs, restooms. and free parking. It is located adjacent to the ball park and a 2-mile trail around the lake. The dog park and entire park grounds are well-managed, and the bathrooms are clean! I go here every day with my dog, and he loves it!

This park is huge and very active. Dogs are separated not by size but activeness. There is a passive and active dog side .The owners are courteous and cleanup after their pups to help keep the park clean. Maintenance is impeccable ,keeping poo bags stocked and the grass well maintained. Plenty of parking

Chaparral Dog Park is a standout place to let your dog run, play, and socialize in a safe, well-maintained environment. The grassy, fenced areas are generous and split into sections for active and passive play, which helps dogs of different energy levels feel comfortable. Shade, water stations, benches, and agility features make it easy for both dogs and humans to enjoy time there. The ambiance is casual, friendly, and welcoming, one of the best local dog parks for weekend outings or evening visits. Maintenance closures on Tuesdays and Fridays help keep the space fresh and healthy for use.
Fannie W — Google review
The city of Scottsdale has this wonderful and sizeable dog park. This park has 3 areas of which 2 are used at a time. Small and big dogs. My wife and I take our small dog almost everyday. Dog owners for the most part are friendly and educated on the rules. Unfortunately there will be people with large pets bringing their dog to the small section. I understand when they have older dogs but not when they have a very active large dog trampling on the smaller ones. Some people also don't pick up after their dog. The parking space is large enough but it can get busy when there is softball games. No only the dog will exercise but oneself as well. During the winter, grass is kept dormant, but is brought back in the summer.
Roberto T — Google review
Of all the dog parks in the area, this one seems to be the cleanest/best maintained, and frequented by people who have invested at least some basic training time with their dogs. We’re typically here once or twice a week, and I can’t think of a time we’ve had to deal with aggressive dogs or questionable owners. If you have a very young, small, passive or timid dog, this would be a great place to begin socializing as they have an area specifically for those purposes - and the active dog areas are large enough so that your pup can get some space if need be. We also like the fact that this place is so well-lit at night, so that our dog can still safely enjoy off-leash time in the summer when the sun goes down; there are also water fountains in and outside the park areas to keep things cool, which as you know is key for any active dog in AZ.
Jared T — Google review
Wonderful dog park that is close to our house! Water for dogs during the summer - a bunch of shaded areas and obstacles for dogs to explore. MASSIVE areas to run. During the summer lots of people right around when the sunsets! Always a lot of dogs at this park so my pups love it! The people are usually pretty great too :) everyone being very friendly!

This is my favorite dog park in town! They have 3 big off leash area and they are separated into active and passive rather than size which is great! So much space for the dogs to run and play! They have maintenance there to take care of it 3 times a week so it’s always up kept. My corgi Bruce LOVES going here and has made so many cute puppy friends that we see regularly.
