Bavaro Adventure Park in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic is a sprawling 110-acre eco-friendly park offering a wide range of exhilarating activities for the whole family. Nestled in natural woods, the park features zip lines, bungee cords, paintball, a flying simulator, Segway circuit, and more.
We attended bavaro adventure park on April 23rd under Bradley Webb. I wanted to share our experience. We arrived looking forward to a great adventure and that is exactly what we experienced. We started off on the Polaris ride with Carlos as our guide it was so fun and Carlos was great we really enjoyed the stop at the cenote and learning how it was created then onto the Dominican village and got to see the houses and culture I absolutely enjoyed trying the coffee and hot chocolate so good, and purchased some of the coconut products. Then we enjoyed a Dominican lunch loved the chicken so did my husband and our daughter it’s nice to try authentic foods in the country your visiting. We then enjoyed a nice horseback ride I love horses and being from Alberta Canada horses are our life. Next was zip lining not gonna lie I was a bit scared I’m terrified of heights but up I went first so there was no way I could back out and I absolutely loved it so did my husband and daughter, we did stop at crossing the bridge but that was by our own choice I would of kept going but that bridge was my stopping point, I was just to scared but that’s a me issue not the park issue. Then we enjoyed the lazy river and the swimming pool. My family is so glad we did this excursion it was an absolutely great day and great memories trying new things.

Spent most of the day here today (2 adults) the park itself is unexpectedly vast, guides are very welcoming, friendly, and very funny! We were lucky to have Carlos taking us round the resort - lovely, polite, passionate and knowledgeable gentleman. We did the buggy rides which far exceeded are expectations - plenty of time for both myself and partner to have sufficient time on the buggies to really enjoy it. Two stops - first one approximately 20 minutes at the cenotes which was fantastic and a short talk by Carlos about the history of the area was welcomed. Second stop was for lunch where there is a lovely shaded area you can enjoy a Dominican meal included in the price - as someone that doesn’t usually eat meat it was very enjoyable and we both finished the lot! The jungle river was awesome to finish off the buggies in a relaxed manner, we then headed to the waterfall where there is also a bar for refreshments. Would highly recommend and will certainly return when visiting the Dominican again! **what we didn’t realise before going was you went allowed phones at all on the buggies - however there is someone around for each activity taking plenty of photos which are a very reasonable price at the end!

This is definitely something the DR put together for tourist. The water areas were beautiful but if you're not a fan of bugs, the water is not for you. The pool area was the only place where the bugs was very minimal. Everything else had a lot of leaves and dead spiders, bugs, etc. Wanted to do an excursion with my daughter for her 22nd birthday but she did not do anything at this park because of the bugs. We ended up leaving early. She only did the pool. The photos they post are being but you don't see the bugs and things in the water. If you're not afraid of bugs and leaves, etc, then this is for you.

My husband and I had the absolute pleasure of visiting Bavaro Adventure Park in Punta Cana, and it was one of the highlights of our trip to the Dominican Republic. We booked the Polaris Adventure and Horseback Riding Combo, and the experience exceeded all of our expectations! From the moment we were picked up from our resort (right on time!) to the time we left, the entire day was seamless, exciting, and incredibly well organized. The check-in process at the park was smooth, and we were immediately struck by how friendly, welcoming, and professional every single staff member was. Everyone spoke great English, greeted us warmly, and made us feel like VIP guests — they looked you in the eye, asked your name, and made genuine connections. Such a rare and wonderful touch! Highlights of the Experience: • Polaris Off-Road SXS Ride: Driving through muddy jungle terrain was so much fun! It was adventurous but never felt out of control. • Blue Cenote Swim: Absolutely stunning and refreshing. A serene break during the adrenaline-packed day. • Cultural Gift Shop Stop: A great little presentation on how Dominican coffee, hot chocolate, and mamajuana are made — with tastings included! We happily purchased a few items to bring home. • Delicious Dominican Lunch: Flavorful and authentic, it was a perfect break in the day. • Zip Lining: This was my first time zip lining, and I was honestly nervous — but the staff made me feel completely safe and supported. They were serious about safety protocols, which I truly appreciated. The multiple zips, including a canopy bridge and a final splash into water, were thrilling! • Lazy River Tubing & Waterfall Pool: Such a relaxing way to wind down the day. Beautiful surroundings and just a lot of fun. Although we opted out of the horseback riding portion simply due to personal preference, it was nice to have the flexibility in the schedule. Photography & Memories: Phones weren't allowed during the adventure for safety reasons (a decision I totally respect), but they had multiple professional photographers capturing moments throughout the day. We ended up purchasing the digital photo package with 59 amazing shots — totally worth it to relive the memories! Final Thoughts: I can't recommend Bavaro Adventure Park enough. It offers a full day of adventure, culture, nature, and relaxation — all wrapped up in world-class service and hospitality. Whether you’re an adrenaline junkie or just looking to explore the beauty of the Dominican Republic in a safe and fun environment, this park has something for everyone. 10/10 — Would absolutely do it again!
Roxi K — Google review
From the very beginning you don’t know how to behave, what to wear, which attraction comes first or what’s next. Total chaos, the staff give conflicting information. You’re not allowed to take your phone – they say it’s for safety, but that’s not true. They just want your money. You can’t bring a phone, flip-flops, or a backpack, so you’re forced to buy a locker. Cost: $7 or $10. Photos cost $100, which is completely absurd. The buggy/Polaris ride is extremely boring, you drive in a line behind others very slowly. You must wear closed shoes, flip-flops are not allowed. The first stop is a lagoon where you’re supposed to swim… in closed shoes! You never know how much time you have or when you’re leaving for the next activity. The next stop is the “Dominican village,” which is a total scam. You’re forced to take part in a “tasting” – coffee samples like at Costco – and waste 30 minutes of your life listening to them advertise their products. Then, still soaking wet, you get back on the buggy/Polaris and continue. You end up at the lobby with no clue where to go next or what to wear. At 11:50am they take you for lunch. You wait in line, still wet, the food isn’t ready. Lunch is included in the price, but drinks are not – even water costs extra. You don’t know how much time you have to eat or what the next attraction will be. Then they finally take you to the zipline, where suddenly flip-flops are allowed. On the last line you land straight into the water, so once again you’re completely wet. Then, still dripping, you go horseback riding – this time in flip-flops. The horseback ride was terrible: lots of manure, tons of flies, very slow, too many people and way too close together. Apart from the buggy/Polaris and horses, the other attractions were actually fun, but the overall impression was terrible. One big scam.
Adrian — Google review
The rating is not for the adventure activities, but more so for the extreme disorganization with them and the rudeness of certain tour guides with me. Thomas was introduced as our tour guide but we only seen him on the buggies and didn’t see him anymore after we put on life vest for the sacred river which there was no instructions given just followed a path and follow everybody else. Nobody knew what to expect and people had on their gymshoes and didn’t get a chance to change out of them because they told us that for every activity we will come back to the lobby and you can change and go to your lockers. I have never been to a Caribbean island and felt prejudice being Black until I got to Punta Cana. I was told by Dominican Americans that Dominicans will make sure I have a good time as they love Americans. This was not my experience! I was ignored as I was by myself celebrating my birthday with a birthday shirt on. I tried to sit with other people or walk with them to make sure that I wasn’t forgotten. The direct rudeness was when I went to ride the horses. I walked the trail by myself trying to follow signs because I was told just to go and walk down that way over there. Walking through a jungle not sure where you’re going and there’s nobody else around didn’t feel secure or safe. I followed the path until I got to the barn and then I heard other people come in so I waited. I walked with the other Americans to the place where the horses were. There was a guide standing there telling us we had to put helmets on for the horses. I was the first one there in front of him. He ignored me and began to put the helmet on the young girl behind me. I didn’t think much of it, but you stood there and waited. After her, he proceeded to put the helmet on her boyfriend so I just looked at them because they were behind me so he had to step past me to do this. They walked and sat down. I’m standing by myself with him waiting for a helmet, and he starts fooling around. Now a group of guys walks up Behind me and they were just chatting and not paying attention. The guy proceeds to put the helmet on them. So I said to him, do you not see me standing here and everyone looked at me the other guides and the guest. He proceeded to not say anything, but put the helmet on the guys so I walked away and sat down and the picture you see that the photographer took is of me sitting down without a helmet on because he did not put my helmet on for the horse. When I got up To step up on the horse, the other guide says, you know you need a helmet on and he had a smirk on his face, and I looked at him and said you know good and well that he did not put a helmet on my head & you heard me say something and he said yes, but you still need one so I’ll go get you one. None of them check the rude behavior of their peers like it was common. I had to also ask the photographer to take pictures of me because he was not taking pictures of me. The famous zip lining down into the water, they let us go one at a time so that they can capture the picture of each one coming down. When I came down to the water, the photographer was standing there, looking at me, not even holding the camera up so he did not take my picture so while other people have many pictures in their package, I had 26 pictures but because they were multiples of the same shot they were only about 7. When getting my pictures, I asked the One who spoke English and was selling the pictures where are my other pictures for the other activities and he said well we are still uploading and don’t worry, you will have them sent to you in the email the next day. That is when I saw about 26 pictures of multiple shots and only about seven being different. The guides had the audacity to say that they work for tips! I bring singles $5 and $10 usd with me to tip when I go to countries that I know are relying on tourism and this is the first time ever that I returned back home to the United States with 80% of my tip money.

We had so much fun at Bávaro Adventure Park! We went on a rainy day and had a blast riding the buggies through the puddles! Highly recommend going on a rainy day! Our tour guide, Carlos was amazing! We loved stopping at the Dominican Village and tasting the coffee, cigars, hot chocolate, and mamajuana. We also were provided with a delicious lunch of chicken, rice, beans, and fried plantains. After lunch we went on the horseback riding trail and all of the staff were helpful and upbeat! We had a great time!

Scape Park is a natural theme park located in the exclusive Cap Cana area. It offers a wide range of attractions, including zip lining, cave expeditions, and beach activities. The park utilizes the existing landscape to provide thrilling experiences such as horseback riding along the beach, ziplining through jungle canopies, and swimming in crystal-clear cenote waters.
The staff is really nice! And all the pictures they took for you along the park are totally worth it, is a day full of fun and adventure. I would highly recommend bringing your water shoes with you, and a lock, there's a bit of wait for the attractions and some of the are close certain times a day. But is just about you finding the next one and that's all. The people all over the park is really nice, especially the senor in pueblo dominicano that was explaining to us how used to be the life in Dominican Republic in the very little towns he even gave us coffee that he cultivates! Is totally worth it, don't forget your repellent, you would certainly need it.
Juliana — Google review
We had fun but in general the park was little bit disappointing for what you paid for. The zip lining runs on a schedule (is not always open) you’ll paid $130 for a ticket and you will have to come back at their hours if you want to experience it. Be prepared to do some walking. The monkeys experience is too commercial. You’ll going to see 2 squirrels monkeys and you are not allowed to take pictures. If you want to have a memory of this experience you’ll have to pay another $150 for the photos. The splash hammocks were fun for my kids. The cave was also nice. The green all around the park is beautiful, the water. The rope runners was also cool. Bring your own locks or you’ll have to rent one. Besides the things that we didn’t like we had a great family time!
Natalia F — Google review
Beautiful setting, but disappointing experience overall! We were told that no outside food or drinks were allowed, yet many visitors around us brought their own without issue. Once inside, we learned you need to bring or buy a lock for the lockers, since you can’t take bags on the ziplines. There are also areas where you’re not allowed to take your own photos, and some “mandatory” photo stops mean you’ll have to purchase the pictures later. You can bring your phone to take photos, but it will likely get wet. The park conveniently sells waterproof phone cases for $17—poor quality and something that costs just a few dollars online. The attractions are spread out and require a fair amount of walking on uneven terrain. That would be fine if the experiences were truly impressive, but most were underwhelming. Especially the areas with animals were amazingly small and unnatural. The main highlights were the ziplines—especially the “Superman” one—and the zipline drop into the lake with waterfalls, which was genuinely fun. The positive side was that the park wasn’t crowded, so there were no lines. However, the overall value isn’t great: you pay a high admission price and still end up spending more on extras that aren’t clearly mentioned beforehand. It can be a nice day trip to get off the resort, but it’s not worth the cost during high season. If you do go, come prepared: wear sturdy shoes (water shoes work but aren’t ideal) and be ready for some physical activity. Ultimately, there are better and more worthwhile attractions in the Dominican Republic for the same—or less—money.

An Unforgettable Family Adventure at Scape Park Cap Cana! Hands down one of the best excursions we’ve ever done as a family! From start to finish, everything was so well organized, clean, and beautifully maintained. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and made sure everyone was safe and having fun the entire day. There’s truly something for everyone , being that it is self guided you can pick and choose how much time you spend at one activity, and how there is no limit on how many times you can do each activity. ziplining, cave exploring, swimming in the incredible cenotes, and so many other amazing activities. The natural beauty of the park is breathtaking, and the entire experience felt like a mix of adventure and paradise all in one. A few tips for future visitors: bring running shoes, water shoes, towels, and your bathing suits, you’ll need them! You’ll be in and out of the water, hiking, and exploring all day long, and will get wet along the way! Plan for that! The stops along the trails and between the activities that had drinks, snacks and water was awesome as well! So helpful! Bring a waterproof phone case too! We’ve done excursions all over, but this one stands out above the rest. Scape Park Cap Cana is an absolute must-do! 🌴💦

Great day away from the resort. We enjoyed the zip lining as a family(kids 7 and 11), swimming in the blue hole and exploring the park! We spent about three hours there and did a lot of walking!! If you decide to hike to the cenote/blue hole, take your towels and be prepared for a LONG walk there and back on rough terrain! It's beautiful but make sure you feel it's worth the hike 😉 😉. I'm not sure we would do that part again...it's close to 2 miles r/t and not easy for little ones without tennis shoes. It was a fantastic day!
Ashley G — Google review
Scape park was awesome! So many things to do you could spend days here. The only problem was that the cave swim was not open when we went to it during July. This was the thing we really wanted to do but when we got there there were no staff members around. Otherwise this was a wonderful trip with ziplines and animals and a culture route to learn about dominican history, there is truly something for everyone. It is not suitable for those with mobility issues due to the size of the park and the number of steps.
Zoe W — Google review
We visited Scape Park during our honeymoon. Overall, it was decent — a fun way to spend the day — but definitely a tourist trap, so if that’s not your thing, avoid it at all costs. We went in October, and the place was practically empty, which was great. No lines, no crowds, and no waiting for any of the attractions. I would not want to visit when it’s busy! We swam in the cave, which was really cool, and did the ATV ride, which both my husband and I loved. Our guide was great and made the experience even better. We also visited the waterfalls, which were beautiful and perfect for a refreshing swim. We didn’t make it to the Blue Hole, but it looked worth the walk if you have time. The monkey and parrot islands were small and underwhelming — definitely skippable. My biggest gripe is the photo policy. You’re not allowed to take photos in several areas, and they heavily push the overpriced photo packages. It feels like a total scam. If you’re into zip lining, this park might be amazing for you — there are tons of options. We skipped those since it’s not our thing. I would recommend bringing your own lock for the lockers, swim shoes if you have them, and snacks. I probably wouldn’t go back, but we enjoyed our visit overall. It was a nice break from the hotel and only a short drive away.

Little bit overpriced for what it was. We loved the ziplines but in general it was ok. But we had fun and didn’t regret to go there.

Bavaro Beach, located in Punta Cana, is a popular and stunning destination known for its calm turquoise waters and pristine white sand. This beach offers kilometers of fine white sands, crystal clear waters with turquoise blue tones, and lush vegetation including long rows of palm trees along the coast. Visitors can enjoy various activities such as sailing, snorkeling, and diving.
Visited twice in the past 2 to 3 years. Very nice. Open to the public. I walked here from Hotel Punto 4. 45 minutes. Lots of resorts.

Stunning. The colour of the water is why we travel for 10hrs on a plane to the Carribean. A lot of resorts, water sports, bars and restaurants around. Basically everything you need. It's a must visit if you traveling to Punta Cana or DR in general.

The Indigenous Eyes Ecological Reserve, also known as Punta Cana Lagoon, is a protected ecological reserve with a focus on conservation and species repopulation. It features 12 crystal-clear springs ideal for swimming and offers scenic hiking trails through lush subtropical forests. The reserve is home to a petting zoo and natural-history exhibits, making it an ideal destination for outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers.
What a BEAUTIFUL cenote! It's a 15 min walk through a jungle from the entrance to reach this fairytale-like swimming hole. It is deep- so bring a floaty if you're not a strong swimmer/floater. The edges have stand-able areas, but it's rocky! I wore swimming shoes and had no issues walking the terrain to get there. Definitely worth the trip!

Great place to visit although extremely hard to find the reservation. I would have rated it a five but directions to get there are confusing. Once there, if you find it, it is gorgeous. Bring your bathing suit, towel and bottle of water. It is an easy trail to walk, and a great place admire beautiful water holes (lagunas) and tropical vegetation. If you are lucky and you don’t find crowds it is a great place to meditate and look at turtles and fish. It is very well kept although an $40 dollars per person entrance fee is an steep price to pay. Try to buy a weekly pass or other cheaper alternatives since you don’t need a guide. You need to make a reservation because there is a set schedule and I assume to control crowds.
Diana P — Google review
Locally rich, calm paced excursion. We booked via the website and it was about $90 a person. They are time slotted so make sure to buy in advance. It included transport, animal visits, informational aspects, a great guide and two lagoons. It was about 2 hrs with some walking at the pace you set. If you want to experience the country without too complicated of an excursion this is for you. It’s about 20 minutes into Punta Cana, located by a resort. Would be good for kids, and the elderly in my group enjoyed it. The trails are easy to manage.

Los Ojos, the 12 natural lakes in Punta Cana, are truly a hidden gem! The water is so crystal clear that I was able to take these photos with just my iPhone, without any editing. Visiting this place was an unforgettable experience. If you plan to go, the entrance is inside Punta Cana Resort — on the right side at the gatehouse, and the fee is $50. Besides the lakes, they also have a bee farm, unique plants, iguanas, horseback riding, even swimming with horses in the ocean, an oyster farm, and a beautiful white beach nearby with a hotel. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Punta Cana — it’s a true jewel of the Dominican Republic🌿💕
Елена М — Google review
What an amazing and tranquil place! One thing lets it down and that’s price. It’s so over priced it’s unreal and if I hadn’t driven 90mins to get there I probably would’ve have paid. It’s $90 each to get in and you’re only allowed to swim in one pool (not sure how they’d police that but apparently that’s the rules). Also you need to make a reservation ahead of time. That being said we explained to the reception that we had been trying to book online and the website wasn’t working and they pulled some strings to get us in. So that’s the bad out the way. The place is stunning!!! So much nature to see and soak up!!! The cenotes are like something from a fairytale. Crystal clear waters and in most pools you will see a variety of fish and turtles that you can swim with. It’s natural so goes without saying there will be rocks. We wore swim shoes which were perfect. The pools are deep so if you’re not a confident swimmer you may want to stay near the stairs. If you are visiting Punta Cana a lot of excursions include access to this so do your research and could save yourself some $$.

I had the time of my life here. Free entry if staying within Punta Cana resort and club. Beautiful waters, plenty of space to explore, and the walking was all fairly flat, which was important as my grandparents do not walk well. Lots of turtles and fish, butterflies, birds, and one large iguana! My family and I spent over 3.5 hours swimming and exploring. Truly beautiful

0/5 You can’t go without a guide/tour. It’s unfortunate that this natural reserve is privatized essentially only for the nearby hotels and resorts, Tortuga Bay the closest costing $1000 USD/night. All previous mentions of $10-$50 entrance are false. You can only enter through a tour for $90 USD. Only at 10am and 2pm. Seems they don’t have their story straight about timing either because the woman told me 2:30pm would be the latest time to enter, when I was there at 3pm and a previous review said the latest time to enter is 3:15pm. I didn’t find a private tour to enter this place that was cheaper than $140. If you want to do the underwater horse riding tour, there seems to be an agency right across that charges $240 for a couple to ride 1 horse. Maybe there was a point when this was a public space to admire nature. But it isn’t now, and $90 USD per person and timed entry / limited time allowed seems exorbitant even for “conservation efforts of flora and fauna.” The world’s best botanical gardens and ecological parks in the world do not charge this much.

Swim with Dolphins
Dolphin Explorer is a captivating seaside park that invites visitors to immerse themselves in the wonders of marine life. Nestled in a stunning tropical setting, this unique destination offers an unforgettable opportunity to swim and interact with dolphins in their natural habitat. Guests can hold hands with these gentle creatures and embark on an exhilarating journey, experiencing both their playful nature and incredible speed.
We attended the dolphin explorer on Friday April 18th. I just wanted to share our experience. I loved the fact that we were in the ocean and not in a facility you can tell the dolphins are loved and cared for by the staff my family enjoyed our experience and learning about dolphins. We enjoyed meeting them and spending time with them it was such a great learning experience. I’m so glad we got to meet your dolphins and see how loved and cared for they are by the staff

Memorable experience with dolphins, a sea lion and perequitos! I love to know Dali and Picasso! 😍😍🐬 However, The water was dark due algaes( I used photoshop to make a pleasant pic) , the guy said that the clear water depends of the season, the best one is December -April. Also, they doesn't allow you to record or take pictures with your phone, to charge you an very expensive price for the pictures took by photographers! Other places, like monkeyland they allow cellphones and cameras and the pics package is very cheap, including a printed one for your memory.

This was the best experience ever! I've always dreamed of meeting a dolphin and this went above and beyond! We got to pet them, play with them, and do tricks with them! I highly recommend!!!
Emersen D — Google review
The dolphin experience was cute, and the kids were really excited. We were in the sea wearing life jackets, and the staff was very nice. Everyone from the age 3 and the high 1.10 meters can do it. The price is 109$ for a child and adults pay from 109$ for the cheapest activitie. If you have a car I recommend you to come with your own car otherwise you will have to wait for the pick up an hour and half after the activity ends. But the way they handle the photos is just a rip-off. It starts when they show you all the pictures and say the price is $200, then they tell you that doesn’t include the videos (another $60), and finally, they mention that it also doesn’t include the pictures with the parrots and the sea lion (an extra $100). It’s a shame that this is the feeling you’re left with when leaving the place. Even when we wanted to buy just a single photo, they asked for $40 (!!) for one picture with the dolphins. It’s really disappointing to end such an experience — one the kids were so looking forward to — on that note. Having to add another $300 just for photos, on top of an activity that was already the most expensive of the trip, is simply outrageous. It’s frustrating that this is how they operate — and that it seems acceptable to them.

On October 3rd, 2025, my wife and I visited Dolphin Explorer, hoping to have a beautiful experience with dolphins and create a happy memory. However, from the very beginning, we were divided into three groups of ten people each, and we immediately felt like we were in a factory rather than a leisure place. They kept giving us commands: “Sit, smile, go.” When we arrived at the area where the dolphins were, I couldn’t believe my eyes — the water was red and had a terrible smell. Still, we decided to go into the water. We only touched the dolphins for about 3–5 seconds, while the same commands continued: “Touch the dolphin, raise your hand, smile, and go.” If I were an animal protection organization, I would have shut this place down immediately because the dolphins live in extremely dirty water. After leaving the water, something even stranger happened. We wanted to go back home, but they didn’t let us. Instead, we were forced to sit in the restaurant inside the facility for about an hour and have dinner. Later, we wanted to check and buy our photos, but they looked like they were taken on a factory line — rushed and careless. In most of them, our eyes were closed, or we looked bad. Despite that, they asked for $150 for 20 photos. I only wanted to buy the ones I liked, but they refused; we had to buy all of them. I tried to explain: “Look, my eyes are closed in this one. Each photo costs around $11, so I don’t want this one,” but no one listened to me.

Must read before booking! If I had known what this experience was really like, I would never have booked it. We are a family of four (two adults and two young kids), and during our trip to Punta Cana ( OCT 25 ) we decided to book a dolphin encounter. If I could give negative stars, I absolutely would. 1. The whole operation is focused on upselling and pushing you to buy extra packages, especially photos and videos. 2. The photo\video prices are simply outrageous. A photo package for a family of four costs $260 USD! And some parts are not included. 3. You are not allowed to take your own photos, and although they claim to have professional photographers, the pictures were terrible. They completely missed key moments (like the dolphin kissing my child), and most photos were taken facing the sun, so we had our eyes closed the whole time. No sunglasses are allowed either. 4. The water platform is not suitable for children, and even my wife (1.60m tall) struggled to stand on her toes against the waves while holding our child — making it nearly impossible to follow the instructor’s directions. 5. The morning transfer took about an hour and a half, even though the site is only 40 minutes from our hotel, because they pick up people from multiple hotels. Very hard with small kids. Bottom line: we came with great expectations and left deeply disappointed. My mistake was not reading enough Google reviews before to understand what we were getting into. This review is my way of helping others. I hope you read this before booking and make an informed decision.

Other than that the place is a scam. They sell you one thing and when you arrive they argue that no it’s not possible even with a receipt. First of all they couldn’t find our reservations, thankfully we had the guys phone number that sold us the exertion, we called him and magically they found our reservations. The staff here are soooooooooo rude. I can’t even stress how rude they are. They take u around and in and out so u can buy more and waste ur time. The actual time with the dolphin is so limited. The group size is huge so ur literally just standing there for ur turn. Regardless of all that. The rudeness of the staff is unacceptable. They should hire nice people since they want tourists to come around. Staff leave u and walk away bc they’re so rude.

At first were very excited about this activity but at the end disappointed. We didn’t receive enough or good informations about how much you paid for which activity with dolphins. Don’t get me wrong my family and I had fun but we which we could swim cause swimming is the most important part that made us choosing the activity, but we didn’t nobody said anything to us and we paid. Secondly the photos,we’re not allowed to use our cameras cause they have their photographers(I get it,fully understand). But,please guys be honest and professional, your packages are expensive so take good shots, don’t just multiply the same image just to reach a certain number of photos and bim that it. We had to payed $150 for 54 photos(1 photo times 3 or 4) and we didn’t even receive the one with the parrots just frustrated. Last part is the movie(we choose to not pay for it because they put the other family in our movie and also the price. They don’t tell customers what they’re doing and we let them cause we think they are professionals. I am not feeling sorry about my review just want to help other people to know about what it’s or what it looks like. Be honest and professional

Bodies of Water
Hoyo Azul, also known as the Blue Hole, is a breathtaking natural sinkhole with crystal-clear turquoise waters located in the midst of a lush forest in the Dominican Republic. Accessible via a rainforest hike, this 14-meter deep lagoon offers visitors an opportunity to immerse themselves in its vivid blue waters after trekking through the native flora and fauna. The site features a spectacular 75-meter cliff covered by vegetation, adding to its magical allure.
Pricey but well worth the money for the memories and adventures. The Hoya Azul itself is about a half mile walk up into the Jungle. I would also suggest going on the hottest day possible because that water is ice cold. Definitely bring swim shoes and comfortable walking shoes because the scuba shoes hurt your feet on the trail. Please note this is not a park for the faint of heart or young children under 12 or so. With that said there is a lot here to do and see if you like extreme adventures.

Great time for our family!!!! Bring sun screen, bug spray and water to drink. Price was reasonable for what we were able to do all day. Guides and staff were friendly, kind and helpful. Our family of six were able to park for free. Pay and get in the park very quickly. The staff will convert your payment into Dominican pesos quickly and let you know what you are spending in dollars. My favorite was jumping into the “Oyó Azul”. Cool and refreshing. Bring walking shoes that can get wet. Towels, backpack and a credit card were safe in the lockers that were guarded by a staff members. We had fun and felt safe as a family!!!!! Grasias para todo. Lo pasamos muy bien.

It's worth seeing but probably not worth spending a ton of time at. It's fun to jump (10 feet?) into the water, but the water is cold because there is no direct sunlight and the swimming space isn't very big.

Tried to kill or smth. But we drove away They charge 69$ for this cinote which is a lot. You can go to other similar places and pay $4/pp. its kind of a scam

The most beautiful golf course I’ve had the chance to play. Very stunning vistas. Pricey but well worth the greens fees amount. The greens have a lot of contours that I missed, so having the caddy (Tom) was a big help. Practice area is 1st class…locker rooms are amazing…course conditions were fantastic for July 2024. What an incredible place!!! A short ride from our resort ( Secrets Cap Cana ) and we were immediately greeted by their welcoming staff. The pro shop was well stocked. The course had a large practice facility. You can practice chipping, putting and the driving range allowed you to hit every club in the bag. The facility offered modern ammenities. Clean locker rooms and showers. The beverage cart was present almost every 3 -4 holes. The cold towel after the round was much appreciated. Our caddie ( a must specially for first timers ) - Jorge was experienced and very knowledgeable. A Jack Nicklaus design. The course offers interesting challenges and incredible views. The signature par 3, 200 yds (from the gold tees) over the water is worth a few photos. Now I completely understand why it was ranked #35 in the world (Golf Digest). Can’t wait to come back!!!

Juanillo Beach is a stunning and serene destination located in the exclusive area of Cap Cana, Punta Cana. It boasts a long stretch of fine white sand, shallow turquoise waters, and rows of palm trees that create a picturesque tropical landscape. The beach is ideal for families with children due to its calm and protected waters, making it perfect for swimming and relaxation. Visitors can access the beach through the gate of Cap Cana or enjoy public access during the day.
The beach is wonderful, with an area in front of the Juanillo beach club that includes a server for ordering drinks and food. The restaurant starts service around 11am. The drinks were really good. I ordered a coco loco and beers. The beers were super cold. As for the beach, the water is crystal clear, warm and the beach was basically sargasso-free which is something I liked. I would recommend going early around 8-9am to get the best spots right in front of the ocean for the most relaxing experience.
Isadora M — Google review
We went there in the end of August and we have noticed a lot of sargassum. Now, I know sargassum is a worldwide problem, but we only saw the beach being cleaned up once a day in the morning, so by afternoon it is full of sargassum again. I saw other places doing more about it. It certainly did not feel luxurious. Another thing I disliked is that they clean the sargassum but they dump it at the beach entrance, so it smells really bad doesn't matter where the wind is coming from. Also, many places of the beach is actually made by concrete and not sand, it is hard on your feet and you may get hurt if not wearing appropriate shoes, and it also creates a virtual sensation about the beauty of the place. Last but not least, this is a private beach dedicsted to Cap Cana residents, to get in you either gotta pay or be staying inside the condo.

The beach was beautiful. The beach has white soft sand. There were cabanas to sit or lay under for shade. They had servers available to guide you or bring you food and drinks. There were bathrooms available. The water was barely cool. They have a swimming area that is blocked off from the waves of the ocean. We found some rocks and coral. One of the larger rocks had plants growing on it with a couple cute little white crabs and a snail.
Nicole B — Google review
Great beach! Not too busy, always somewhere to sit/lay, provides great shade options, and the bar/food options are delicious. The staff are very attentive and will lead you to seats that are open. We had the same waiter 3 days in a row, and he was amazing. Highly recommend Juanillo Beach

Beautiful beach, no waves, white sand, lots of chair lounges. Once you get access to Cap Cana, you do not need to pay to get to the beach. Food is good, it may seem pricey for some, but hello! You're in Cap Cana! This is a very exclusive and safe place, you can go in the water and will find all your belongings when you come back. This beach is perfect to go relax even read a book, there's not loud music, not spring-break type of people, just a very classy and relaxed atmosphere. My family and I love it!

Beautiful beach. That was the last stop on our buggie trip and was worthed to stop by and enjoy the view. I wish we've had enough time to go for a swim. The water looks amazing and inviting for a swim.

Nice free public beach….free if you bring your own chair or towel to sit on. There is a fee to rent a lounge seat. We were charged $20 USD for 2 seats for the day. But the beach is lovely. Lots of waves but shallow to swim & wade in the water. It was pretty crowded but still very enjoyable. Especially considering that most beaches in the northern coast area are full of seaweed right now, just the peak of summer. There are a few vendors at entrance and we only noticed one food option, but it was delicious! Cold drinks, seafood platters, fries and such reasonably priced considering you’re paying for the convenience. One of the coldest beers I had on the island! Taxis hover around the area so not hard to find a ride, but they can be pushy. Overall a good afternoon.
Wailym C — Google review
A stunning beach with palm trees, soft white sand, and gentle waves. A great place for relaxing and swimming. There wasn’t a bunch of seaweed like some of the other beaches around Punta Cana. There are also a few places to get drinks and snacks as well as chairs and umbrellas to sit under. I highly recommend a visit
Jessica N — Google review
Visited during an excursion. The beach itself is nice. The views are beautiful. But the water is not blue, it was brown, of dark color. Surprisingly, there were not any sargassums there. There are many annoying souvenir vendors. The restrooms (toilets), have no accommodations. The doors would not close, the lockets are stolen and broken, the bulbs are missing, you can see only wires, even the flush buttons are stolen, it is dirty, it is ghetto. Even if you come there, there is no way you can find a place to change your clothes.
Rose D — Google review
It's a beautiful beach with wide sandy spots and calm waves. It can get crowded but if you walk to the ends there are fewer people. Parking closer costs money but farther away there are limited free spots. There are bathrooms and lots of places to buy drinks and souvenirs.

Amazing beach with beautiful view it is a must to visit however be careful with vendors prices are crazy expensive I expected to see prices higher than local bars but 20$ for a piña colada 🙃🙃🙃 if you are coming to spend the day just bring your snacks and drinks 😉
Rafael L — Google review
The beach is beautiful, in comparison to other beaches around the Dominican Republic, I give it a three-star review because while you do not have to partake in renting beach chairs, umbrellas, or even purchasing the food... I wanted to; however, the prices they list are all in dollars and in many instances are far more than prices paid in the U.S. and wv n in Japan where I just traveled from. Additionally, if you pay via credit card you will pay between 10% and 25% additional charge. While I wanted to support the local economy, I do not appreciate being taken advantage of with these ridiculous prices placed on what is supposed to be a public beach. A comparison between Bayahibe and Macao, places Bayahibe prices much more reasonable than Macao prices.

We had a wonderful stay at the Nickelodeon Resort in Punta Cana! The rooms were beautiful, spacious, and perfectly maintained - a great mix of comfort and fun for the whole family. The hospitality was top-notch from start to finish; every staff member went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. A special thank you to Josue for his outstanding service and all the helpful information he provided throughout our stay. He truly made the experience even better. Highly recommend this resort to anyone visiting Punta Cana - we can’t wait to come back!

Rated the room a 4 because we killed 3 roaches in the room. Also the air wasn’t to my liking and when I called they said somebody went and lowered it but it felt the same.. We encountered a couple workers who were great and very welcoming. The only thing I wasn’t a fan of was the buffet/restaurants. It took a little long getting our drinks and when we did it took long for refills vs us being able to walk in (all inclusive) and getting our drinks ourselves. Also you have to be on point with reserving other restaurants, I was a hour late because my phone died and everything was booked. They did accommodate us so I was very thankful! You’ll also have to pay extra for the cool stuff, ninja turtles, character breakfast and personal slime. The gift shop with the characters were a little expensive especially for people who have multiple kids. But overall it was a good experience, my son enjoyed himself and I would go back. Thank you Nickelodeon resort

We came here from Miami to celebrate with our family of 14. The rooms were nice but the tv and elevators were not working- the latter was very disappointing as parents with strollers were forced to carry them up and down the stairs. Besides that as a mom with a child with multiple food allergies I was very pleased with the staff at the buffet who went above and beyond creating dishes that he could eat. Thank you to Joel, Lamuel and Amaury for making it a safe and enjoyable meal.

My stay at Nickelodeon Hotel & Resort Punta Cana was excellent from start to finish. The Flat Suite was spacious, spotless, and easily one of the nicest rooms I’ve stayed in. Dining was a highlight — Wok Wok served one of the best tuna and mango poke bowls I’ve ever had, and Verdello, the Italian restaurant, offered a great family atmosphere and delicious salmon. Breakfast at Nick Bistro was so much fun, especially with the Nickelodeon characters greeting families — perfect for kids’ birthdays or special moments. The beach was clean and sargassum-free, and the infinity pool was beautiful and relaxing. The Nick water park was another standout — very clean, well-maintained, and full of energy. Every staff member we met was friendly and attentive. Overall, it’s an ideal resort for families looking for great food, comfort, and entertainment for the little ones. Highly recommended!

⭐️ 2 out of 5 — Declining Quality Since 2023 Stay This resort has definitely gone downhill since my last visit in 2023. I’ll start with the negatives — the biggest issue was finding a roach in the bathroom! When I reported it, the supervisor, Julio, completely dismissed my concern, saying “this used to be a jungle” and implying it wasn’t a big deal since the room wasn’t dirty. Totally unacceptable for a so-called 5-star property. Next, I had booked a package that included resort credits, which I planned to use for a room upgrade. When I arrived, I was told there were no credits on my account. I showed Francisco my confirmation from Karisma that clearly listed them, but he refused to honor it and said I’d have to wait until the next day to speak with a manager. The following day, the manager did confirm that I did have resort credits — exactly as I’d said. However, by that point, we had to move rooms midday and cancel the plans we had made, all because it wasn’t handled properly during check-in. This could have and should have been resolved right away. While the resort is family-friendly and a few staff members were genuinely great, the overall service, cleanliness, and attention to detail no longer reflect a true 5-star experience. For the price you pay here, you should expect far better quality and professionalism.

Zuleika, maireny,Alfredo, jose aaaaaamazing! Couldn’t be happier with three kiddos. I wanted to write a more expansive review for this resort. First, the customer service was literally impeccable. Starting will the bell boys, the front desk staff, the concierge, the butler, the housekeeping, maintenance, and servers. My goodness. It’s something you don’t see in the US. They literally would help with the wagon, our belongings, held our kiddos so we could navigate life lol. They answered maintenance calls within literally like ten minutes.even the excursion- we have a 6 year old, 4 year old, and infant. And they took ALL THREE kids out along with my husband and I. Literally an instructor to each kid. The drinks- readily available. All over lol. At one point one of the servers were talking to what appeared to be a frequent flyer (we did not care at all. ) and the manager told him to stop and serve us. We got served like immediately after. I legit felt like gold at this resort. They loved our kids. Catered to them. It was amazing. The waterpark was safe, fun as can be, drinks readily available, servers taking care of us the entire time. A lifeguard to each slide. I never was nervous for my kids safety. I can’t say enough positive things. Servers were on point with the drinks. Not only for us but the kiddo drinks as well. The food- average lol. I didn’t like that the restaurants make you have a reservation. It’s not really possible to make reservations with three kids. It’s very difficult to get three kids out at a set time. And you’re at a resort I don’t want to be on a time clock. But it is what it is. I can see why they do it. The buffet was okay. Again, difficult with theee because by the time you go up and get the kids food then get your own food they’re done. And the food just wasn’t what we’d use to lolololol that’s a part of traveling though and that’s life with three so I didn’t mind. the resort was that amazing. Childcare available on the resort. And again, they LOVED our kids. I was never concerned. Highly highly Recommend. Three kidddos is a lot but they made it the best.

Thank you Josue! Good place for kids to enjoy. Big dad kids are not allowed on slides. Most workers are not as comfortable speaking English so may need some patience in explaining or finding someone else for help. Names of the locations are too similar so confusion in locating them on the property. Map and events need to better aligned.

Airport
Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ) is a major hub with direct flights from over 28 countries and 96 cities worldwide. It's conveniently located just a short drive from Bavaro Beach, making it an ideal entry point for travelers to the Dominican Republic. The airport offers various amenities, including a VIP lounge that provides food, beverages, and clean facilities. Additionally, there are budget hotels nearby offering comfortable accommodations with air-conditioned rooms and balcony views.
This airport is very clean, efficient, and helpful for tourists that may not speak Spanish. They have availability to assist passengers that may have disabilities or the necessity for a wheelchair. They have an assortment of options for food, such as Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, Cinnabon, and Nathan‘s. I was hoping they would have a food vendor with authentic Dominican food, but they did not. Bathrooms are relatively clean, TSA was slightly messy and unorganized, although efficient enough if on a time crunch.

Overall my experience was good. The airport was definitely different than what I have experienced. The plane unloads on the tarmac and does not pull up to a gate. They bring the stairs/ramp over to you and then you take a bus to get over to customs. Inside the airport the luggage came out quick but there were a lot of sales people as you try to leave the airport selling tours and transportation. I was looking for our car service and was very annoyed I thought we found them and the girl escorted us to a whole different company trying to sell tours and hotels. On the way back to the airport the experience was not as great. They are outdated with no intercom system and we could not hear the attendance over the crowds of people when our group was called. We again had to take a bus to take to the plane. This part was not great because they had two sets for stairs to get on the plane and we had to carry the luggage up the stairs. The backs stairs did not have a ramp. It was a beautiful day out and I wondered what the experience would be had it rained there was no coverage. Overall decent experience compared to other airports I have been to but they definitely need a few upgrades especially an intercom system.

As someone who travels approximately one-third of the year and has visited countless airport lounges worldwide, I can confidently say the VIP Lounge at Punta Cana International Airport is truly one of the best I've encountered. What sets this lounge apart are its unique amenities that you simply don't find elsewhere. The swing pool is an absolute game-changer – I've never seen anything like it in any other airport lounge. It's the perfect way to relax and unwind before a flight, especially in the Caribbean climate. The lounge also features multiple private areas, which is a thoughtful touch that provides flexibility whether you need a quiet space to work, want to relax with family, or prefer a more social atmosphere. The variety of spaces really caters to different traveler needs. Beyond these standout features, the overall experience exceeded my expectations. The lounge offers a level of comfort and luxury that makes the wait for your flight genuinely enjoyable rather than just bearable. If you're flying through Punta Cana, I highly recommend accessing this VIP lounge. It's worth every penny and sets a new standard for what airport lounges can offer.

Smooth experience overall, with room for improvement Overall, we had a good experience at Punta Cana Airport. The airport is clean, organized, and easy to navigate, which made our arrival and departure relatively smooth. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the tropical, open-air vibe gives it a unique and welcoming feel. That said, there are a couple of areas for improvement. The immigration lines were quite long, and with a bit more efficiency, the process could be much smoother for travelers. Also, the lack of aerobridges meant boarding and deplaning happened via stairs on the tarmac — not ideal, especially in extreme weather or for families and elderly travelers. Still, it was a pleasant experience overall, and with a few upgrades, Punta Cana Airport could be even better.
Pratik R — Google review
Overall nice airport. Spacious waiting areas. The best part is they have very nice play area for kids so it’s very helpful for families travelling with small kids.
Maheera S — Google review
Not a very big airport. No air conditioning on arrival at baggage claim area. No air brigades. Deplaning and boarding done with the use of busses or on foot between the airplane and the terminal. They use the mobile ramps instead of the jet stairs with much easier way to get on it if the aircraft. Departure and check-in areas are air conditioned. Few duty free stores in departure area. Few fast food restaurants like Wendy's, Taco Bell, Pizza Hut and few others. A little open terrace area at the food court popular with smokers. Not like there is a better choice. It is what it is.
J B — Google review
BUSY BUSY! Typical airport hassle and crowded! Very organized with staff that knows exactly what is going on and wheee to go! Very cleaned and modern. The workers are very helpful. Lots of customs to go through before boarding. Plentiful restaurants and shops for souvenirs. And of course lots of areas for people to get comfortable before flight.
Sadą Ñ — Google review
Flew in from Toronto, and although there was a long queue at immigration, it moved pretty quickly. Vibrant airport with quirky features: lovely thatched roofs and even had some drummers/entertainers at the entrance into the baggage hall to welcome guests. Baggage reclaim was smooth and easy. Outside the airport can be a bit chaotic, but if you prebook your pick-up before arrival, you should be okay as there are many people wanting to make a quick buck off you if you're not careful. Overall, it's a good airport.

Dolphin Discovery Punta Cana offers an incredible opportunity to interact with live dolphins in the water. Visitors can choose from three different dolphin experiences, each offering activities like hugs, kisses, belly rides, and foot pushes. The park is conveniently located near the new Downtown center in Bavaro. Additionally, there are over 20 attractions at a nearby theme water park in Cap Cana suitable for all age groups.
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The staff was amazing all around from the gift shop to the restaurant to the dolphin trainers. Everyone was amazing nice and kind to us. Would definitely return if given the chance. Thank you guys for an amazing experience. Send our love to Hanzel and Havana for us. 🇩🇴❤️🐬🇩🇴
Jamie T — Google review
The actual swimming with the dolphins was memorable but I wasn’t allowed to capture the experience. They have a no camera rule which I was not aware of prior to booking. No cellphones allowed. I already paid for my experience, and I understand that but having to pay to capture the memory is ridiculous. And the staff was absolutely rude about it. They have someone taking pictures during the meet and greet with dolphins. Then charge $40 per person for one picture and outraged prices for a package. After the encounter they have you view pictures to purchase. When I didn’t purchase they ask “Why?” I said too expensive and I feel they take advantage of experience by having us purchase pictures only. Staff response was “why would we give pictures for free?” I don’t want your pictures for free, I want the option of taking my own pictures. RUDE! I was with my family of three but they grouped us with other families to group as 10 people at a time, which is fine but within the group was a really young child (about 2yo) that was scared and didn’t want photo or interaction with dolphin. I felt most of the time was spent trying to encourage child to interact with dolphins and took away from my families time and interaction. This may sound selfish, but I also paid for the experience.
Leslie T — Google review
Really great experience. Does not matter what level of experience you pay you will be taken as a group. Those that pay higher level will experience more with the dolphins others will watch while remaining in the water. I don't highly recommend but I do just generally recommend. The only issue is after the experience. The prices for pictures and mugs with photos printed on them are not reasonable and you can not pic what you want. If you want just a mug, sorry not going to happen. KEY NOTE: if you purchase the digital copy. They will download an app on your phone so that you can get your photos. IF YOU DELETE THE APP, ALL OF YOUR PHOTOS WITH THE DOLOPHINS GET DELETED AS WELL. so send the photos to your email and re-download into your phone. So this way you don't lose them forever. Thanks.

Everyone should think twice before spending their money here and ask themselves whether it’s worth supporting a business built on cruelty. This entire place is based on the exploitation of dolphins. These poor animals are kept in a small pool, which is simply heartbreaking. You’re not allowed to take your own photos — it’s strictly forbidden — just so their photographer can charge you an absurd $40 per picture. Pure greed and no real attractions besides the suffering of these intelligent creatures. Definitely the worst money I’ve spent on vacation.
Danny D — Google review
Pricey! $350 for family of 4 with 20% off. If you want photos another $80 for each person! (Digital copy), if you’re holding your baby or toddler!? Counts as 2 person $160! 4 stars for the dolphins and the trainers! 60 mins Cool experience with a group of 11 people. You do the math how much mins are just for you…. Sorry no photos to share, cannot afford it!

We were staying at the Hard Rock Resort in Punta Cana and the dolphin excursion was the one that we decided on. It was a great time and we had so much fun. Make sure to bring cash so you can tip Kelvin. We had no cash on us and it was our biggest regret because he went above and beyond for our group! Your family will love it here!

Dolphins in captivity don’t live well. In the wild, dolphins live 25–35 years, sometimes even over 50. In captivity, most survive only 8–12 years because of stress, limited space, poor diet, and artificial conditions. They perform tricks just to get food. It may look fun, but it’s sad and unnatural. Seeing these intelligent animals trapped like this broke my heart. I wish people stopped supporting such places.

Pirates Island Water Park is a family-friendly attraction with various water activities. The park features a wave pool, long and short water slides, and a 4.3ft pool. Visitors can also enjoy the realistic-looking pirate ship that serves as an entrance to the slides. There is a bar nearby for drinks, and it's recommended to be cautious of the sandpaper-like floor at the beginning of the wave pool to avoid damaging swimsuits or knees.
Nice little water park with fun things to do for kids and adults. Went there two times and would come back again. It’s a little gem of Barceló Bávaro.

Enjoyed my time..though , I went with my younger cousins (5 at the time who was over the height limit) and he wasn’t allowed in. for that matter, I had to stay outside till my parents convinced the guard to let him in. Going back today… yay?

A fun experience for kids and family which I enjoyed very much, not much people which was great. Bar close by for drinks and the wave pool was amazing! The only thing which you have to be careful of is that atcthe beginning of the wave pool, there is a sandpaper type floor which I assume is for grip, but could damage swimsuits or knees (from experience) so be careful for that! If you stay at the resort, make sure to stop by!

Review of Barceló Bávaro Palace – Punta Cana I stayed at Barceló Bávaro Palace last month, and unfortunately, it was a deeply disappointing experience. During our stay, a diamond ring and cash were stolen from our room—a violation that left us feeling unsafe and unsupported. Despite reporting the incident, the response from the resort was unhelpful and dismissive. There was no follow-up, no investigation, and no accountability. For a resort that claims to offer luxury and security, this was completely unacceptable. The lack of proper security measures and the resort’s failure to take responsibility for guest safety is alarming. I would strongly advise others to reconsider staying here, especially if you’re traveling with valuables or expect a trustworthy environment. This experience has completely shattered our trust in this resort and its management.

Great space for those with kids. One day included with any family room. After that it’s $10 per person per visit. Pretty empty. 2 long, slow water slides. 2 short, fast ones. Great 4.3ft pool. Nice realistic looking pirate ship to enter the slides. My son hit his head while visiting this park and the lifeguard was very helpful and kind and even asked me about him when he saw me later on.

If you're planning a getaway to Punta Cana, the ideal time to visit is between December and April when the dry season shines at its best. With warm temperatures averaging around 80 degrees Fahrenheit year-round, it's a tropical paradise. However, be mindful of the Atlantic hurricane season from June to November. One of the standout experiences in this stunning destination is embarking on boat trips that explore some of the most breathtaking bays along the eastern coast of the Dominican Republic.
Celebrated my birthday with a group trip and it was the best decision ever! Every time on time, great music, open bar, good vibes, and the water was perfect for a swim.❤️ The staff kept the energy high and made me feel super special. Will book again next year! 🥳😍

This was such a fun cruise, part of me wishes we did the 6 hour option, 3 hours wasn’t enough for us especially with the areas we hit, the waves were choppy that day. I forgot the names of the staff, but they were fun. They were dancing with us and really helped set the mood as soon as we got on the boat the photographer was also really good and love that he knew all the angles for us as well as his drone footage I will say the lunch that was provided Could’ve been a lot better. It was just chicken skewers and some vegetables. Overall, very nice and fun crew we went for my sister‘s bachelorette I wish we were able to hit better clear blue waters though, but I would recommend!

This is the best party boat. The hosts are so friendly and the whole experience was so entertaining from beginning to end. Unlimited beverages on the boat, a few crew members to accompany you through the snorkeling experience, the slide on the boat so much fun! I did it a few times! Choreographed dances where the guests took part. The whole ride was filled with entertainment! There was not a moment that I felt bored. Joel, one of the hosts was so amazing, friendly, willing to do anything for make this experience unforgettable. A guest dropped her phone in the ocean and Joel dived in and found it. The guest and all the party goers were mesmerized that Joel found the phone. Great job Joel and crew and keep providing your guests with great experiences!

While some snorkel, others take turns on the Scuba Doo before enjoying a boat trip back to shore. The attentive and knowledgeable staff ensure everyone's safety and comfort throughout the excursion, making it a unique and highly recommended experience.
I had a wonderful experience doing the Scuba Doo and snorkeling. The divers were highly professional and took care of us very well. They also pick you up and drop you off at your resort. The activity is really fun and I highly recommend travellers to do it.

Great experience. First time we did the snorkelling and scuba diving. They provided necessary gears. Snorkelling was really fun. The bottom of the sea looked totally different level of beauty. Scuba diving was a little bit scary as we did it for the first time. Saw lots of beautiful fishes swimming around.

This experience took almost 5 hours, but you only be underwater. For about 10 or 15 minutes period it was very unorganized, and I made my reservation on their site, but then they said they were full, so he tried to squeeze me in, but the AC on the Van. Kept going out and we were picking people up. For well over an hour before we headed to the marina, once we got there, all of the waiting and the unorganized set up made it very frustrating. The experiences fun, but with everything that you have to go through. And it take up half your day, it can be a letdown.

Amazing excursion. Super friendly group of people. Tootie Frutti and Vidal were the best. Really good snorkeling spot with lots of fish. First time using a submarine scooter and it was fun and easy. Scuba divers were with us the whole to make sure we were safe and comfortable. Highly recommend.

Great experience. See fish & coral up close. Comes with snorkeling as well. Customer service was inadequate. The main staff (at the office) was terse & seemed unwelcoming. We had our phones to take pictures (underwater in the ScubaDoo, but they assured us they'd take pictures for us). Pictures cost: 1 person $30 and 2 people $45. They don't negotiate & you can't pick/choose the pictures you want. We went during a brown tide (toxins from Sargassum seaweed) so the aesthetic/smell was off putting.
Brandon C — Google review
Not at all what I expected. Late pick up , snorkeling was ok, I thought the scubadoo experience would be more hands on. I saw another group of like 20 people all of them in water at the same time which looked super nice meanwhile our tour only had 3 and one was rusty looking. There was a group of like 17 of us and it was just not what our group was anticipating since there were groups of 7 and 4 people that all wanted to go at same time.
Jessica C — Google review
It’s really zero stars. I booked the excursion July 23 for Aug 11 and morning of the excursion they texted me saying they don’t have it on Sundays. A waste of time and a big lack of communication and customer service. They were supposed to pick us up at 8:50am but texted at 7:50am to reschedule but we were leaving the next day. Wouldn’t recommend, highly disappointed. They need to work on their communication and keep track of what days they are being booked for.
Ronneka D — Google review
I recently had the pleasure of joining Scuba Doo for an unforgettable adventure, and I can't recommend them enough. From the moment we began, their professionalism was evident. They ensured that every detail was taken care of, making the experience seamless and enjoyable. The adventure itself was incredibly fun and intimate, with only a small group of people. This made the experience feel personal and exclusive. The snorkeling location they chose was teeming with vibrant marine life, and the scuba diving was just as spectacular, offering breathtaking underwater views with a myriad of fish. Midway through the excursion, I unfortunately fell ill. The staff at Scuba Doo were exceptionally empathetic and took great care to ensure I was comfortable and safe. Their attentiveness and concern truly stood out, adding to the overall positive experience. Overall, Scuba Doo provides a fantastic, well-organized adventure that is absolutely worth experiencing. Their professionalism, combined with the intimate group size and stunning locations, makes for a perfect day out on the water.

Reef Explorer in Punta Cana is an exquisite park that beckons you to uncover the marvels of the coral reef and its marine inhabitants. This captivating half-day excursion promises a remarkable adventure as you immerse yourself in snorkeling alongside graceful stingrays and gentle nurse sharks. Following your underwater exploration, indulge in an invigorating Reef Explorer expedition that offers an array of thrilling activities like scuba diving, snorkeling, and even swimming with majestic dolphins.
noticed this place averages around 3.7 stars – not sure why, because I reckon it deserves more. Hopefully this helps bump it up. I booked this with my wife as part of our honeymoon – I was absolutely buzzing to do some proper snorkelling in crystal-clear waters. From the off, everything was smooth: hotel pickup was easy, tickets and sign-in were quick, and the short boat ride over, although a bit packed, was a good laugh. Once you arrive, it’s a quick rundown of the basic do’s and don’ts – all common sense – and then you’re left to explore the floating pier. I didn’t waste any time and jumped straight in. First time snorkelling properly in my life, and I had an absolute blast. I brought my GoPro, and the staff were brilliant – swimming around with us, pointing things out, and even diving to the bottom to get some cracking footage. Top lads. There were kayaks and paddleboards available, but I was too busy snorkelling with my wife and soaking up the whole experience. We explored the shark and stingray area, and again, the staff helped film with the GoPro and got right in there for close-up shots. I even got to hold a stingray, which was unreal. Everything seemed well looked after – none of the animals seemed stressed or mistreated, which was important to me. I later had a reflexology massage, which was absolutely spot on – proper relaxing. The sandwiches they served were banging too, just what you need after a good swim. Then it was back in the water for a final hour with the team, exploring more of the reefs. All in all, this was a brilliant experience – especially as it was my first time snorkelling. Sharing it with my new wife made it even more special. She loved it too – especially the massage and the views. We got some cracking photos and had some great chats with the staff, who were genuinely lovely and up for a laugh, even with the odd language hiccup. Can’t recommend this enough – especially if you want a laid-back but exciting day out on the water.

I just did this afternoon excursion today with my husband and 2 teenage sons. We all had a lot of fun! There were several different activities to do. It was 3 hours long once we got onto the boat and returned. The boat ride from shore was only 5 minutes. The snorkeling was great, water was clear, and a ton of fish! The shark and stingrays were cool, not that exciting, but fun to see. I like that this was self guided for the most part. They have instruction in the beginning and then it was do what you want and have fun! The lunch provided would get 1 star. The only option was a small cold ham and cheese sandwich, chips and salsa, and vegetable sticks. The return transportation needs to be better organized. I'm not sure if this is an issue with the Reef Explorer or our resort (Dreams Onyx). We are currently sitting on the couch bus and have been waiting for other passengers for over 40 minutes now with no update. Another passenger said some of them are sitting at the bar. We will now miss out on our dinner reservation.

This place is a must see! Swimming with the manta rays and nurse sharks was amazing! So much fish around this place. The food was ok: sandwiches, chips, soda, smoothies, and veggies. You can get a massage if you want to spend $35. You get 3 hours, which is plenty of time. The water scooters were so much fun. They were fast and helped you see the couple of nurse sharks. The staff was very friendly. The view was awesome! My great suggestion is to bring your own mask and snorkel. What they have is ok, but not the greatest. Get one of those new full face snorkel mask so you don't have to bite down on snorkel. Those are so much better.

Great time snorkeling and looking at the reef. Massage was very much appreciated after snorkeling around the area. Little fish but no starfish or turtles. Staff was fabulous and attentive. Several other things to do while there, but I was there for the snorkeling!

We did this excursion and really had a good time. Melody took care of us, showing us all the good spots to view the sharks, stingrays and fish. This is a controlled area so no fear and our spouses enjoyed it as well (really well). They offer a basic massage while we did more snorkeling. Sandwiches and refreshments were on hand and tasty. We made memories we shall not forget.

Just a few minutes from our resort, it was a lovely experience. There are different areas where you can paddleboard, kayak, snorkel, swim with stingrays or nurse sharks, and get a 15/20 minute Tibetan massage. They take us to the cage in the middle of the ocean where not too far away from the beach. But the water was super clear, and we did a short snorkeling. First, when you get there, there's a crocodile in the smallest cage. Its incredibly sad. As for the trip itself, we would have liked more time snorkling. The sharks/stingrays are a little underwhelming. They loaf at the bottom of the fenced in area and then you get to kind of hold a stingray for a picture. If you are a good swimmer you have the opportunity to snorkel and check out the sporadic reefs. The lunch consists of a sinple cheese or ham and cheese sandwich. We dont drink, but there was pop and water. The sand bar was nothing to write home about. And probably my least favorite part, the music was SO LOUD. I wore ear plugs the entire time. It was a lot of college students drinking and having fun. The staff was great though!
Kelsey R — Google review
We did the snorkeling with the nurse sharks and sting rays. The coral from the boat to the cage area was the best part. The sand bar they took us to killed the vibe. Would have rather floated and checked out the coral than go party.
Adam L — Google review
The scenery was beautiful and the staff were kind, but we did the Reef Explorer and the water was VERY murky. We BARELY saw a shark and a stingray and the included snacks had obviously been left out all day. The only reason we left satisfied was because the staff saw we were strong swimmers and took us over to the other excursion's area to see the bigger shark which was cool.

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana is a vibrant music-themed beach property that exudes rock star swagger and luxury. Spanning 121 acres along Macao Beach, the resort offers 13 pools with swim-up bars, nine diverse restaurants, 23 bars and lounges, a Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course, a lavish spa, and an expansive casino with Vegas-style gaming options.
Beautiful resort. Large but walkable, much to do for adults and littles. Poolside and beach service is amazing. Food everywhere. Servers are pleasant and hard working. Bar tenders make excellent drink with top brand liquor. As a member, we have the bonus of being assigned a butler who made all our reservations, ensured our room was well stocked and provided lots of special touches to help us celebrate our anniversary. He tended to the details so we could relax and enjoy our trip to the fullest. Sammy was at our beck and call all the time and even surprised us with a beautiful beach dinner where he stayed I to the evening which was above and beyond. Our bar and wait staff of Yimi, Nicaius, and the beautiful and talented Scarlet, Lorena, Nicarus and Nali kept us well fed, made special drinks and served up lots of laughs. All in all, highly recommend Hard Rock Punta Cana. You will feel like family and have an amazing time. The beach is absolutely gorgeous, brightest moon and beautiful sunsets, so many food places and a pool for everyone. Casino on site and all kinds of entertainment and food options.

Mariel and OG were AMAZING! They truly went above and beyond to make my cousin’s birthday unforgettable. They arranged beautiful pool + beach décor, were incredibly attentive, handled all of our reservations, and even had a birthday cake made for her. I also really appreciate the new change allowing private transportation. Last time I stayed, I had to walk to the gate which made me feel nervous, so being able to be picked up directly was a huge improvement — thank you for that! My facial was phenomenal, as always. The only thing I would change is the Legendary pool… it’s boring. We’ve gotta fix that!! Overall, a wonderful experience. Thank you again for making our stay so special!

Had an amazing trip as a family. The resort was great! Room was nice, clean, and comfortable. The staff was excellent to work with and the food and drink was great. We had the pleasure of having Brayner Rodriguez Pache as our butler. Brayner was amazing and really made it easy to get the most of our vacation. I couldn't imagine getting the same out of our experience without his assistance!

We had an amazing time and experience at the Hard Rock Punta Cana Resort! The trip was a 10/10! Throughout our trip, we had some outstanding people that gave us outstanding service and deserve a huge shout out! First off, our butlers (Cristobal and Reydisson) were absolutely fantastic! We had a dinner cooked for us that was served in our common dining space which was absolutely delicious made and served by Domingo, Gullermo, and Israel. Down at the Legendary Bar on the beach, Jhon, Yimi, Argenis, and Lorena all took care of us and were all super incredible too! Overall, we were beyond pleased with the resort, the food, and the service during our stay!

My husband and I just stayed here for our honeymoon and it was amazing! So many things to do while also very relaxing. It was the perfect balance. The spa was great as well. All the staff we ran into was so nice and hardworking. Brayner was our butler and he was fantastic! Anything we needed, he took care of it. We would definitely recommend!

HardRock Punta Cana is amazing for their staff and service. Our butler, Elvido made sure our entire stay was 5 star! He was always making sure we had everything we needed from waking till after dinner. He made celebrating our anniversary the best. He decorated our room while we had a special private dinner and brought extra wine to our room! Thank you, Elvido for making our week so special. I would recommend this resort to everyone wanting to celebrate something special or enjoy a relaxing vacation!!

We got married at the Hard Rock in October we had over 100 guests. It was the most phenomenal wedding. The setup on the beach was a concern but absolutely 10/10 execution. Not a single complaint. The service was impeccable. Elvido and Raphael were amazing. World class! The food felt like an improvement this time. Room service was amazing, as far as the cleaning staff. They are far under appreciated. Viven, helped with our arrival and throughout the stay to make us feel like special guests. He deserves a raise, and I have said that previous years as well. The room service (food) was not the fastest, but the restaurants were all very good. It was a very busy weekend. There were way too many cops at the resort that was not the fault of the resort.
Lasco L — Google review
Before wasting the money on this resort read the lowest reviews. Let me start by staying that the food was the worst part of our stay. COLD VERY COLD , chicken was so hard , steak was very disappointing and this was at EVERY SINGLE RESTAURANT. With the exception of Bistro were we met the most wonderful staff named Dariel he went above and beyond for our and it was the best meal that we had since our first day here all the staff you be like him. Staff and waiters were very kind and polite its really a hit or miss with the service. The waiters are not the problem the problem are the chefs. When it comes to toddlers and little kids the best option and only option is the water park we tried the kids club and the person was very rude and unprofessional even rude to my child which is unacceptable. Rooms are not clean we found a cockroach in our room the A/C works when it wants too , it went off at 4am my toddler woke up all sweaty. 4 people of our group got FOOD POISONING. This place its not worth the money or time. They need to remodel everything starting with their chefs and some staff. Shoutout to our lobby concierge , the entertainment crew and specially to Dariel at Bistro they were the highlight of our hotel experience.

Manati Park Bavaro, established in 1996, is the first theme park in the Dominican Republic. It features a diverse array of over 150 animal species, including colorful birds, iguanas, snakes, caimans, flamingos and parrots. The park offers traditional dance shows and acrobatic dolphin performances that make for an unforgettable experience. Located in Punta Cana, it's a top attraction offering a unique blend of wildlife preservation and local culture showcase.
This park is so much fun. Not so big but one of the best tourist attraction in Dominica. I got a private guide in the park. She was Dominican and very kind. I loved the Dolphine and seal show and 1st in my life I swam with the dolphins ❤️🐬 The other funny show was the parrot show 👌☺️ it was a lot of time to teach these animals. Well done There was a dominican aboriginal tribal show . I really enjoyed it. The costumes were very good and i could see how they were look like and live in the past. I could take pictures with huge parrots on my shoulder, it was amazing. Don’t forget to take a big hat and protect your skin because the sun is very strong Go and visit it 👌☺️

Nice park, small not too much walking. It was very hot, they don’t allow food in so of course the food and drinks were over priced. There are people selling souvenirs so you may feel a little pressure into buying. I thought it was a 3 hour excursion but it was 5. The buses dropped us off and there was not other way to get back to the resort, I was ready to go after 3 hours. Overall my daughter enjoyed her self and the animals and that was the point. We didn’t pay extra to swim with the dolphins and I was glad, they were in a small pool.
Whitnei B — Google review
If you really love animals - Don’t go to this place. Dolphins should swim in the beautiful Caribbean Sea and be free like other animals. Don’t support animals in cages. Instead go to Samana and watch whales from a distance and appreciate the animals in the wild where they are happy.
Aleksandra — Google review
In A Nutshell: -Went to Manati Park during a rain and it was still open. -Free parking is available. -As soon as you buy your entrance ticket and enter, you will pose w/ some models and parrots for photos. -The park is not very big and can be explored in an hour. -You can decline a tour and just explore on your own. -They have a variety of animals and some are in large groups (i.e. the iguanas and guinea pigs). Overall, this is a good place to take small kids, but don't get your hopes up if you expect a nicer park.
Dude — Google review
Slim variety of animals. A lot of birds. Manatee and dolphin show a hit! Trainers have clear devoted relationship with animals.
Coree H — Google review
I was so disappointed with this place. Some animals (bull, dolphins) had very small enclosures and some, like the rabbits and guinea pigs, were filthy. A few rabbits had raw wounds on them. We were told it would take about 4 hours to tour and watch shows. My husband and I left after 40 minutes as we were disgusted.
JONI A — Google review
If you love animals and want something to do other than lie on the beach everyday, this is a great experience. Our guide "Antonio Banderas" made sure we were taken care of every step of the way. The park isn't big but with the little shows every hour or so you had plenty to keep you busy. Even the food was good! If you have a chance, swim with the dolphins, the trainers are very good with them.

We decided to come here because Melia Properties owns the Resort we stayed at as well as this mall. They offer a free shuttle bus to this mall , which is about a 15min drive from the Paradisus Punta Cana. If you come here in off season, you will find it to be an absolute ghost town. Half the stores were vacant but there is one decent grocery store. We did the one souviner shop at this mall to be the best priced one, as well as have the best variety as compared to the ones at our resort and and at Plaza San Juan Shopping Center

Nice stores with prices for tourists, no locals here except for the bank and supermarket. It is conveniently close to the Melia and there’s a free shuttle going around in case you catch it. We came for the pharmacy and the supermarket. There’s also a few restaurants if you want a break from the hotel buffet.

The shops are closed. Don't go.I came here at the end of 2018 and at the beginning of 2019. It was a very nice shopping center. The pizza was great. There was a great ice cream shop. It had a bank. It had ATMs. I came in February 2022, everything was closed. It stands as a building, but you are afraid to go inside. Here, hotels used to provide transportation to this market by shuttle vehicles. So if the customers wanted, shuttle minibuses would go to the market 2 times a day and would bring you back to the hotel 2 hours after shopping. Now no hotel takes anyone there because it is closed.

I am never happy with the food here in Dominican Republic , this restaurant completely changed my mind. Everything was so fresh , delicious and appetizing. Starting with the bread rolls & butter. The pizza was delicious and must try for sure , the salmon and risotto was spectacular and the tres leches dessert is a must, the tomatoe soup and grilled cheese was delicious as well. The salad I would suggest getting the dressing on the side. The staff was very friendly and accommodating I will definitely be going back !

Very elegant atmosphere and the service was great! They were unfortunately out of lobster for the main course, grilled and appetizer, tempura offered. Besides that, everything was fantastic. Our meals were delicious and too quality. By far the best meal we had at the Hard Rock in Punta Cana.

Everything we had here was absolutely amazing! The hostess, Yenny, seated us at the spot we wanted and our waiter Francisco was very attentive. Everything was served at the perfect temperature, the flavors were rich, the presentation was beautiful and they surprised us birthday girls with a delicious dessert topped with a sparkler! I ordered the Risotto (large enough to share) and it was hands down one of the best I've ever had! The sweet potato side with goat cheese was also delicious and definitely worth it. Reservations are a good idea, and this spot is a must whether staying on-site or nearby. I would absolutely go back!

Very Disappointing We chose this restaurant as a special treat - paying for a meal when staying at an all-inclusive resort. The atmosphere is excellent but the food and service were both horrible. My wife had the spaghetti with shrimp dish and it wasn’t even so so. I had the halibut and it was grossly overcooked - tough and dry. Wait staff were neither warm nor friendly - disengaged and chatting among themselves. And the bill was over US$200! We were there twice tonight - first and last time.

It was my first time visit this shopping center. Overall it is safe and can walk around without any problem. There are security there so you feel a bit more safe. There a few shop hear and a mall which we like a little better because it got AC in and you can explore. Next door to the mall is Jumbo which is a grocery place that you can get really good local fruits that is really fresh. It totally worth the visit. It cost us only $10 for taxi driver to go there and $10 back. We ask our taxi driver to wait for us and we pay him after he drop us off at the hotel. Gratuity is a must to get great customer service so bring many one dollar bills, it does make a huge difference.

This shopping centre was a stone throw from my hotel and I did some shopping here. For someone that loves plantains; I could not resist taking a photo of these. I like that they have a few food places here. They have a Payless store, souvenir stores to get stuff, a bureau de change inside the supermarket( best rates) ; and you may also change money at the Western Union inside the pharmacy, a spa, and my favourite empanadas place ❤️❤️❤️

Boring and nothing exciting! Don’t waste your time coming here. There are a few stores open and there are not that interesting. The supermarket is the only place that is worth checking out. It is also known for its vegan-friendly Mexican cuisine with an extensive menu of drinks and dishes like tacos, burritos, and rice bowls. Half of the folks can enjoy Kat's Corner live Music from here. lol... It's a cool spot in Plaza Turquesa... go after 8/9 PM to feel the vibe. Early dining is no fun here... some language issue (though 80% are English-speaking tourists)- can’t understand their menu, not the waitress was able to explain It is located in the main plaza in Bavaro so you are at the right spot. We ordered- * Fish Tacos (tacos de Pescado): 2 batter fried fish pieces in each taco with a little veggie- that’s it. 3/5 * Fajitas (Fajita de pollo)- it is one of the best fajitas I have ever had, sizzling veggies with chicken pieces, it’s just they have only given 4 tortillas and not much salad. nevertheless, it was 5/5 The price was good, they only charged 18% ITBIS tax which is a value-added tax (VAT/sale), and did not charge an extra 10%, so I tipped here. Cool Decor, good service, live music, party-type vibe, and good food. yup, go for it.

Fresh and tasty guacamole, same as tacos and other Mexican dishes on the menu. Unfortunately, the place is set to charge as much as possible. 28% tax is simply ridiculous, plus if you don't leave a sufficient tip on top of the bill the waiter gets upset, unbelievable...

We were a party of 8 which I understand is slightly larger. It took an hour to receive the tacos and I wouldn't have cared if the party of 6 and another party of 4 that came in 20 minutes after us hadn't ordered, received and ate their food and left before our food came! During that hour we waited the waitress never came back to see if we needed anything. Now onto the food: lackluster at best. 6 people ordered tacos and 3 of them got standard tacos while 3 got taquitos. All dishes were a flour tortilla with some very dry meat in it. 2 had lettuce on them. I would just skip eating here. My chilaquiles had soggy nachos in them. The waitress told me the salsa verde is spicy and there was not only no spice but no flavor in it. Also ordered 2 guacamole appetizers and the chips were stale. The meat in all the dishes was dry and flavorless. Honestly go anywhere else nearby. Mexican food isn't that hard and this did not qualify as Mexican except for the fact that they used tortillas.

This bar restaurant is as tropical Dominican as it can be. Service and prices are the same as any other places in the same category and level. But, the great surprise of the night was to find the artist that makes the caricatures at the place. This artist is both talented and dinamic. He also has published lots of caricature books or booklets. His most recent work is a publication in Amazon books called Kancerbero. After he informed about this I bought the book, and indeed what a great work. Congratulation to Wacamole to support this artist. He also mentioned good things about the management of the restaurant. If you visit Wacamole, please enjoy the music, the Margaritas and ask Sammy to make a caricature of you and your party.

Food was okay. Tacos looked a bit strange. There was nothing else except taco shells and pieces of fried fish. Beef burrito was good, keep in mind burrito has A LOT of onions. Music was VERY LOUD. Not the best place to go with the small kids. Also keep in mind - the place doesn’t have a printed menu. Only QR code. So you need to have a data or wifi. The Spanish menu wasn’t loading at all, and English didn’t have all the possible options. English menu didn’t have burrito. In the end of the meal we just were waiting for the bill, but no one came. So my husband had to go to cashier to finely pay there.

Finally some normal place in the sea of scam places in the area. The only ones where you pay what is written on the menu. With the others, all the prices you see are without vat, tax, tip, so you have to pay another 40% on the price you see. It's no wonder that here you have to wait in line to get a seat while all the surrounding restaurants are empty. The food is excellent, the portions are large and the prices are lower than in any of the surrounding restaurants. They also accept cards.

This breakfast spot quickly became a favorite of mine during my stay, mainly because of their refreshing papaya juice (a must try) that I couldn't get enough of! The staff here goes above and beyond to ensure a pleasant experience, always greeting you with warmth and kindness. While the food is good, it's the fresh juices that steal the show, bursting with flavor and freshness. Plus, if you're looking for some evening entertainment, they also host music nights that add to the lively atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit, especially if you're a juice enthusiast like me!

This little spot was our go to spot during our 3 day stay in Punta Cana. It was the closest restaurant to our condo. We are here both of the nights and it was quite lively with a DJ one even. Fresh squeezed juices made to order, the mango juice was the best, but all others were delicious. Dinner was plenty of food, we all ordered a variety of plates and none was disappointing. For breakfast, we ate there twice and also was delicious. This is a great quick place to eat, food prices ranged about $10-12 US per person.

TOC Beach Bar & Restaurant is a great place to enjoy the sunset and the views of the Caribbean Sea. The restaurant has a casual atmosphere with relaxing music and live musical groups that add to the experience. The menu includes tantalizing watermelon mojito and fish ceviche, both recommended items. Prices are fair as well, making this an ideal spot for a casual night out with friends or family.
I had food there more than once and everything was so delicious. The choice for breakfast is a bit limited but they taste great. The juices are good. The latin music is also nice. The staff doesn’t speak much english but they’re very friendly and helpful. The place is directly in front of the beach, just a step away from the sand. I definitely recommend it.

Wonderful beach bar, stylish and laid back, so clean and lots of delicious modern food options using the freshest local ingredients. The drinks were ice-cold. Our server Marco was so friendly and helpful. We had a brilliant afternoon and will definitely be back.

If I had more money I would have eaten drank here all day.... Fantastic spot... the shade is fantastic under the palm trees for mid day. The cocktails taste as good as they look. Dream holiday experience, and this was one of the Cherries.

We have eaten at TOC almost daily on this trip. It’s consistently good, and you can’t beat the view! Julian, Marco, and Alvaro have also been very attentive and great service. Highly recommend, TOC has some of the best food in the area. Everything is handmade in house (even the dumplings!) so the kitchen can get backed up and the food can take some time- but this never bothers us. It’s part of the island life, just sit back and enjoy the view while you wait! Or ask to have the food brought to your beach chair :)

Great Food, Drink and View - On the Beach Really enjoyed going for lunch here many days. Literally on the beach. The food was excellent and beer cold. We will be back.
Jonathan W — Google review
Toc was a great experience, I went in an uber and just got to the first beach I saw and from there used the google maps to located exactly, because is in a hotel complex, but you can enter the restaurant from the beach. ( That was in my case ) but was beautifull, they have great cocktails and amaaaazing food there, I had the bachata nachos and a taco with srimps, wow what amazing! The only thing there was that they could last some time with the cocktail but the food came really fast. You are going to be in a beautiful and gorgeous beach, having a cocktail and the best food I had ever tried in bavaro, even better than a resorts food.

Great fish tacos, chicken burritos, and Coco Loco’s. The other liquor filled cocktails look delicious too. Nice seating area, and good service. The music is also very good, especially on Sundays.

Italian restaurant
Mamma Luisa is a bar trattoria in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, founded by Mrs. Luisa Patrovita, an Italian with a passion for service and cuisine. Since the 60s, she has been dedicated to this business along with her children Rossana and Joaquin. Known as 'La Mamma' by her clients, she arrived in Punta Cana almost by chance in the 90s and has been managing the restaurant since then.
Mama Luisa is a cozy and charming restaurant in Punta Cana Village. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is warm, and the staff is very welcoming. But the sweetest detail is the fluffy cat that lives here — he’s truly the star of the place and makes the experience even more special 🐈✨

Lovely taking restaurant inside the Punta Cana Village near the PUJ airport. Cute romantic interior design. Great service. Delicious food. English menu available. We came for vacation and our server Saida was incredible. She was attentive and sweet. Please note that ITP is a 18% tax and 10% tip is already included on your bill.
Bonnie E — Google review
Great-tasting, authentic Italian dishes with excellent service and reasonable prices. The portions are very filling. The ambience is very tranquil and relaxing, while enjoying magnificent Italian cuisine!
Jay E — Google review
This is perhaps the best restaurant in the village plaza. The atmosphere is very pleasant, the service is prompt and courteous. On this occasion, we tried the mozzarella en carroza which was tasty but not fully melted inside. We also had Chillo al Ajillo and Camarones al Ajillo, both had delicious sauces but presentation could be more refined. On previous occasions, we also have enjoyed the risotto with beef filet and the seafood pasta, both well executed. Is this the best Italian restaurant you will ever try? No. But is this a top choice when in this part of the world? Absolutely.

We walked in this restaurant while randomly walking around punta cana village and we were genuinely surprised. The service was excellent. Yaritza was super, kind and so accommodating to our girls. She made sure to have the kids food out first and then followed by giving us amazing suggestions for dinner for us to order. The food came out and everything was delicious. The white sangria is amazing and soooo good. Definitely will visit again soon!

One of the most reliable, delicious, and friendly restaurants in Puntacana Village. My favorite highlight is that Luisa and her family are cat friendly. I love seeing Zen looking beautiful and watching over the place. Also... the seafood paella here is amazing! LOVE ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This was easily the best food we had on our 8 day trip to Punta Cana! Everything was rich and packed with flavor. It was totally worth it and had we found this place sooner we may have gone back a second time. Not good for the beach body but you will not be disappointed here. Delicious!

This beautiful piece of paradise is in the best location. There is a lot of seaweed on the beach. People can take a nice walk to different areas. Tourist could go to the gift shop. Take a look at the shipwreck in the water on the resort. Drinks are not available at the beach. People can get their drink at the pool area.

This beach is amazing but it’s PRIVATE!!! You must be in the resorts or eat at the restaurant as a member of the public to gain access. So you will have to spend to use it…
Bianca R — Google review
Arena Gorda is a beautiful beach, especially at sunrises. There was some seaweed, but the hotel we were staying at (Bahia Principe Grand Punta Cana) did a good job cleaning it. I believe most hotels do. We were staying at our hotel at Punta Cana for two weeks. As we really wanted to see the difference between the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea, we explored 6 more beaches (including famos La Romana, Bayahibe, and Boca Chica) on a rented car. We didn't really feel the big difference between the ocean and the sea. We haven't been to Saona, though.
Natalia P — Google review
Amazing sunsets at night, but extremely busy and tight during the day Not much room to move around.
Lawrence — Google review
Way too much seaweed on the beach but I guess a lot of countries around the Caribbean were experiencing the same. Couldn't swim at all and didn't even hang out there because the seaweed smelled. A truck was coming by scooping it all up.

Welcome to the enchanting world of Finest Punta Cana, a luxurious all-inclusive resort that perfectly embodies the essence of a Caribbean getaway. This stunning property boasts an array of amenities, including multiple bars and restaurants, inviting beach cabanas with charming thatched roofs, and six sparkling pools. Finest Punta Cana caters to everyone—from families seeking fun-filled adventures to couples desiring romantic seclusion.
From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was unmatched—warm, welcoming, and truly five-star. The staff made us feel safe, cared for, and treated like royalty the entire stay. The food? Absolutely amazing. Every single meal was bursting with flavor, beautifully presented, and paired perfectly with the most refreshing drinks. We found ourselves looking forward to each dining experience, and not once were we disappointed. What really stood out was how every corner of the resort had something new and exciting to do. Whether it was relaxing, exploring, or indulging, there was never a dull moment. We packed so much fun into our five-day vacation, and honestly, I did not want to leave. The atmosphere gave off pure luxury and rich vibes—exactly what we wanted for a getaway. Between the food, the drinks, the staff, and the endless activities, this trip was unforgettable. ✨ Highly recommend. Five days was not enough! We’ll absolutely be back.

Service & Staff — The Heart of the Resort A special mention goes to Ivan Castillo (Front Desk, Finest Club), who helped us resolve a personal issue with remarkable professionalism and care. He was very available, attentive, and offered excellent advice. His support perfectly reflects what outstanding service should be. Adney and Jonathan from Gusto Restaurant also deserve recognition for their hospitality and friendly attitude that made each meal enjoyable. All the staff at de Gusto were exceptional. The kids’ club team (Ana and Esdras) was impressive. They cared for the children with patience, creativity, and offered new activities every day. Atmosphere, Design & Property The resort itself is beautiful, with modern architecture, elegant décor, and lush gardens. Whether you spend time by the pools or on the beach, the surroundings create a calm and luxurious atmosphere. Food, Amenities & Family-Friendliness Dining options are varied and of excellent quality. There is something for everyone, from families to couples looking for a quiet escape. The combination of great food, well-maintained facilities, and thoughtful amenities makes it easy to relax and enjoy the stay. Our 3 years old was always asking to go back to the kids club. Overall Impression Finest Punta Cana stands out not only for its beauty but above all for its people. The staff members truly care about their guests and go above and beyond to make every stay special.

Let me start by saying the resort itself is very nice and luxurious. The atmosphere and overall property are beautiful. However, the food was disappointing at several of the restaurants. The buffet, in particular, was a miss most of the times we went — the food often wasn’t fresh, many items were room temperature, and some were either hard or very dry. The à la carte restaurants were hit or miss as well. The Mexican restaurant, Lizo, and the Brass Steakhouse were definitely the better options. Unfortunately, much of the food throughout the resort seemed under-seasoned or lacking flavor. On a positive note, our room was beautiful, and we really enjoyed staying on the adults’ side of the resort. That said, if you’re looking for a fully adults-only experience, you may want to consider an all-adult resort. While the adults’ section has its own pool and a few exclusive dining options, some restaurants and the main lobby bar still allow children. Overall, the service was excellent, the resort itself was beautiful, but the food was the biggest letdown. Would I return? Probably not — primarily because of the food quality.

This is my second time at this location. Last year, Oct 2024, I had my wedding here and it was amazing. This year, my time was just as great. The service is always top notch. Staff is attentive, anything you ask for is done quickly. Rather at the beach or walking around, you will be greeted and asked if you need anything. The restaurants are usually nice, with dinner having the largest options. One night my husband and I ate at Brass (shoutout to our waiter Kevin!!!!) and the steak was so tender and delicious. The scenery and vibe is immaculate. Our goal was to just relax and that’s exactly what we did. The Spa, expensive, but well worth it! A few negatives, but didn’t effect our trip: This was an anniversary trip for my husband and I, which I mentioned a few times so I was disappointed we did not get the anniversary banner on our door. The solicitors on the beach are aggressive, and it’s one after the other. You have to be very stern with. The minibar was not refilled daily.

We had an overall great experience at this resort! The room was spacious, very clean, and comfortable, although ours was a bit noisy at times. We felt safe during our entire stay, which made it easy to relax and enjoy our vacation. There were plenty of food and drink options to choose from, and it was pretty good for an all inclusive resort. One of the best parts was how family-friendly the resort is — there are lots of fun activities for kids, and even the restaurants have play areas so parents can actually enjoy their meals while the little ones are entertained. Our absolute favorite spot was the coffee and sweets shop! The treats were great, and the ladies working there were incredibly kind and welcoming — they really made our days brighter. Overall, it’s a wonderful place for families looking for a relaxing, safe, and fun getaway.

A Dream Come True – The Best Family Experience at Finest Excellence Punta Cana We are currently staying at Finest Excellence Punta Cana, and I couldn't wait until the end of our trip to write this review — that's how amazing our experience has been! We are a family group of 8, reunited after 8 years apart, and choosing this hotel for such a special occasion was the best decision we could have made. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. Check-in was smooth and welcoming, with our rooms ready and everything perfectly prepared for us. The entire facility is spotless, and the subtle scent of bergamot throughout the resort adds a luxurious, calming touch. We enjoyed the included hydrotherapy session at the spa, and it was incredibly relaxing 30 minutes of pure bliss! The spa is truly a sanctuary. The food is simply outstanding. We have tried The Brass, Dommo, and the main buffet so far and every single meal is delicious with an impressive variety. We didn’t have a single complaint, just compliments all around. But what truly has made this trip unforgettable is the incredible service and staff. They’ve made us feel so special and cared for. A few standouts who deserve special recognition: Wilson at the Excellence Club Bar, who made the best drinks, my husband loves the gin tonic! The entertainment team — Jeremi, Araceli, and July — who constantly checked in on us and kept us laughing and entertained. Lalena at the buffet ensured every request was met (and more). She is the number one, thank you Lalena!!! Wadi, in charge of the Dommo restaurant provided top-tier service and attention that left us speechless. Oscar Gutierrez, the main chef, always checking on ous, we loved the tacos he sent us. Ivan, Oleybis, Yanisa, and Cristian were always going above and beyond with warm, attentive service. We felt so well taken care of during our stay. One example that stood out was when we mentioned wanting fresh fried fish — the staff went above and beyond to make it happen. They even coordinated with the closest hotel to get the fish and prepared it specially for us the next day. It was such a thoughtful touch and made our experience unforgettable My grandmother had the time of her life — she absolutely adored everyone and felt so loved and pampered throughout the stay. We’re beyond grateful for this experience. The entire team made our family reunion feel even more meaningful. There are more names we wish we could remember, but please know how thankful we are to everyone at Finest Punta Cana. We are already planning our return. Thank you for giving us the best family trip of our lives!

My experience so far has been phenomenal!! This was my first time trying out an all inclusive and I can definitely say it did not disappoint, in fact, it exceeded my expectations. Dreams Royal Beach is an all-inclusive beach resort located on the east coast of Dominican Republic. With a beautiful sandy beach stretching as far as the eye can see, tropical palm trees and thatched roofs dotting the property, Dreams Royal Beach provides a tranquil escape from everyday life. Along with a large free-form swimming pool and several restaurants and bars, guests can enjoy plenty of activities including water play areas and arts and crafts.
We just came back from our stay at Dreams Resort Punta Cana, where we enjoyed the Preferred Club experience — and it was absolutely amazing! Every morning, we were greeted with exceptional service at Portofino by Daily, Margarita, and Jacqueline. They were outstanding — warm, attentive, and always providing world-class service, not just at breakfast but any time we needed assistance. Our room was always spotless, fresh, and beautifully maintained. Elizabeth, thank you for keeping everything so clean and making it feel like home — you were incredible! We also received excellent attention at the bar from Marilyn. From the minute we walked in, she greeted us with so much joy and enthusiasm. Her positive energy set the tone for our entire trip — we knew right away it was going to be amazing! And we cannot say thank you enough to Marcelo, the best butler and concierge we could have asked for. He went above and beyond to make our stay effortless and unforgettable. His attention to detail and kindness truly made our trip special. We’re so grateful to the entire team for making our vacation a dream come true. We can’t wait to come back!

Just returned from a wonderful 6 night stay! The beautiful grounds only paled to the beautiful smiles of the attentive staff. The chefs outside themselves! From lobster tails to osso buco we had a wide variety of delicious meals and deserts every meal. The pools were not overcrowded and the lazy river was delightful. The room was immaculate and housekeeping met our requests quickly. Entertainment was diversified. Kid friendly but also plenty of fun for grownups- the bars we're well stocked. We will look no further next visit! This is the place.

Our experience here was pretty subpar. The resort is beautiful, it’s right on the beach, and the rooms are nice and clean. However, the service at most restaurants and bars is quite slow and the food is not good. We ended up upgrading to preferred because you won’t have access to any of the more decent restaurants if you don’t. We noticed that our room service came MUCH quicker after upgrading to preferred as well. Not sure if this was just a coincidence though. The morning that we were checking out, the power in our room started turning off like every 5-10 minutes. It did this for about a whole hour. We weren’t sure if it was happening to the whole resort or if it was just a way to get people out of their rooms faster lol. Our flight didn’t leave until the evening we checked out so we left our bags with the front desk. When we came back to get them, it took like a whole hour for the staff to figure out where they were. Thankfully, we weren’t in a rush to the airport or anything. Secrets resort is right next door so we ended up spending most of our time at their pool because it’s bigger. We were excited about the water park but it’s sort of a far walk from everything else so we only went once and did not return. It wasn’t a terrible experience, but not great either.

We stayed here last week for our 30th Wedding Vowel renewal. Yes, this resort was Beautiful and Amazing! what made it so Amazing is their Awesome and attentive staff. From the very first contact with our wedding coordinator Danika to the Superman himself. Roberto, our concierge, who handled our large needy group with tender loving care,we unfortunately had a couple people with injuries and someone that needed to leave the resort for their health care needs, God blessed us with these unique individuals who helped make sure our family was taken care of and could attend our beautiful ceremony. This could've turned out horrible but thanks to them and so many other staff members, our 30th Vowel renewal was everything ❤️ thank you so very much for the way you all do your jobs it truly made us love this resort.

This was my first visit to the Dominican Republic! My stay at Dreams Royal Beach was fantastic! The service was outstanding -they waited on me hand and foot and always with a smile! The food was incredibly delicious and what a wide variety! From the café which offered breakfast lunch and dinner to the restaurants scattered around the property I don’t have one complaint! I do have to go on a diet however I’m coming home because everything was too hard to resist! They have plenty for kids and adults to eat and to do! My favorite part was the lazy river that meandered the property and took me right back to where I started. I recommend this all inclusive resort for anyone!

I just returned from my vacation at DREAMS ROYAL BEACH. My favorite parts of the resort included the beach, the pools, and the beautifully manicured grounds. I also loved the E team! Tony, Brownie, and the rest of the team were absolutely amazing. I especially loved the dance fitness classes that were offered on the beach each day of my stay. The evening entertainment was also a plus. Food options were plentiful, and our room was large. Overall, I would highly recommend this resort to families with kids as well, as well as young adults.

Okay, I am Going to be as transparent as possible. I am literally heading to the airport back to civilization. The resort is beautiful. To get around was also made easy as they have golf carts that would kindly take you anywhere within limits in the resort. The rooms are very gorgeous. However some of the upholstery was not cleaned properly. I have pictures which I Will attach when I’m State side. The customer service and room up keep while staying there was consistently done without fail. This was a nice touch as sometimes you have to ask for this kind of service. The food is where it gets a bit complicated. Now the restaurants are solid but a lot of the food was not warm, especially in the buffet which was a shock. Hot food always wins the soul and when it’s room temperature or even in some cases cool it’s not good. I also felt they should have a Spanish restaurant dedicated to the culture of Dominican Republic and they need to better of changing up buffet menu items. This is a big warning to all new travelers. I was considered a preferred member with my ties to Hyatt and Hilton. When you arrive, you will be asked to participate in a TIMESHARE PRESENTATION. This was very unexpected and kind of annoying. You already spent thousands of dollars to attend the resort and you are now asked to spend more. In my opinion this should be removed completely. When we said no, we were asked to only answer 4 questions which will help The salesman commission. This was not the case and when my wife finally sternly refused the attitudes were present. THIS IS VACATION and no one should be forced to take part in something especially when it involves spending more money for something not worth it. The customer in total was 5 star. That is a non debate. I will give the resort a 3.5 star. They need to get HOT FOOD, better menu items remove the time Share trap and let people who work hard for thier money enjoy it without pressure.

We took the kids, this splash waterpark as part of our stay at the RIu Bambi hotel. This was one of the nicer venue for the kids. Well worth the visit if your kids meat the age and high requirements. If not they have a smaller younger kid friendly attached water park. My only complaint is you were not allowed to bring food from the hotels to the venue. The only local drinks available or from machines that were partially not working and the location closes at 5 PM.

Best vacation ever! The food was delicious, and the service was great. Victor at the Italian restaurant made us feel at home. The tender loin was delicious and juicy. I’m not a big fan of pepper, so he swapped the sauce for a demi-glace. At the breakfast buffet, Julio was very attentive as well. He was our server most of the mornings. The spa is highly recommended. My wife and I had an hour massage that made us feel very relaxed. And Jennifer was the lady in charge of our room. We always had clean towels, and the mini bar was always filled.

The pools are absolutely gorgeous with a nice lazy river which winds throughout the resort. Really beautiful I had a spa treatment - a massage and hydrotherapy which I highly recommend! The masseuse did a wonderful job! You will not be disappointed in this resort. Go for it!

The drive from the airport to the hotel took about 24 minutes. Upon arrival, we were welcomed with a glass of champagne — a nice touch after the journey. Check-in took roughly 20 minutes. Although our rooms weren’t ready right away, the staff invited us to enjoy lunch in the meantime. Rooms: The rooms are well-appointed, modern, and comfortable. The beds were cozy, and we were pleasantly upgraded to a Preferred Club Junior Oceanview Suite through our Express Group booking. The balcony featured a modern soaking tub with a stunning ocean view. The mini fridge was well stocked, and I loved the bathroom’s motion-sensor lighting at night — a thoughtful detail. Amenities: There’s plenty to do throughout the day — gym, spa, multiple pools (including a lazy river), a bowling alley, tennis courts, a zipline area, and a well-equipped kids’ club. Every evening offered entertainment options like DJs, live shows, and outdoor movies. Dining: The resort has several restaurants (7), including Italian, Seafood, Japanese, and Buffet options, plus an ice cream and coffee shop. No reservations are required — it’s first come, first served. I found the specialty restaurant food average (about 5/10), while the World Café Buffet had much better quality and a wider variety. Overall: Dreams Macao is a huge, clean, modern, and well-maintained property with beautiful landscaping and good customer service — staff responded quickly to any requests and occasionally run into staff members who did not speak English. It’s a great choice for couples, families, or groups looking to relax or even host an event. Would definately book it again. Note - they are building a new hotel next door (Secrets Resort) so make sure you get a room away from the construction.

I visited this hotel with my daughter and friends. We were here for a total of 8 days. According to the reviews, I had high expectations from the hotel complex. And how did it all turn out? The welcome and reception were absolutely fine. Everything turned out as it should. As for the room, it was always tidy, but some parts needed to be repaired. For example, bubbles in the wood from the table, the air conditioning was growling at higher speeds. Sometimes damaged plaster. But in general I can say that the room was not top, but it was good. What disappointed me in the room was the minibar. I had to insist every day that the minibar be replenished. And it even happened to me that beer was stolen from the minibar. I know, because I don't drink beer 😊. I reported all these issues to the reception. Unfortunately, I did not receive any feedback. The beach, pools and water slide were very well prepared and I have no complaints. The food and drinks were very good, but not the best. The main restaurant was great and probably the best. The other restaurants were disappointing for us. Mainly Asian, Italian. These restaurants simply can't do it. The seafood restaurant is also very good. The staff was very friendly and helpful. What we didn't like at all was that if you wanted to sleep, you simply couldn't. The music throughout the area played long into the night, even at 11 pm. That's a big mistake. In general, I rate this hotel at 80%. And I would focus on the volume of entertainment at night, repairs to details in the rooms, and I would probably cancel the restaurants that can't do it. I would definitely return to the hotel.

We just finished an unforgettable family vacation at Dreams Macao Beach, and we can't recommend it highly enough! Our stay in a two-bedroom villa with a private pool was perfect for our family of six, as there are two private bedrooms with their own bathroom and a very large common area for our family. The resort is packed with fun activities for the kids! They absolutely loved the lazy river and water slides, and the arcade kept them entertained after the pool and beach and we always ended our night with a competitive game of bowling. The kids' area was a fantastic bonus, allowing our kids to make new friends while we relaxed. Nightly entertainment was a highlight for both kids and adults, with something fun happening every evening. The had painting, live bands, DJs and a magic show while we were there. The food at the resort was outstanding, with a special shout-out to the French restaurant, which was our favorite, and a close second going to the hibachi restaurant. Each meal was great, offering a variety of delicious options. One of our favorite features was the Bali beds we reserved on the beach and by the pool. It was a way to set up camp for the day, allowing us to do a variety of different things, splitting up and always having a common area to come back too. Lastly, we decided to get a butler as we did the preferred club. If you decide to go this route, I would highly recommend Domingo as he is on top of everything and will cater to your every need. Overall, our experience at Dreams Macao Beach was fabulous, and we can't wait to return. I

Dreams Macao Beach Punta Cana — Huge Disappointment for $1500 a Person Just about to leave back tomorrow from a 5-night stay (Oct 1–6), and honestly, this resort is a huge letdown. The place looks beautiful and the staff are friendly, but that’s where the positives end. Let’s start with the food — out of all the restaurants, only Bordeaux and Himitsu had decent meals. The rest were bland or just plain bad. Most nights, only a couple of restaurants were even open, so you don’t have many options anyway. The entertainment was awful — nothing compared to Riu resorts. The whole place felt dead, probably less than 500 guests total. For $1500 per person, we were bored out of our minds. The beach was terrible, full of rough waves so you can’t even swim. The main pool was nice, but that’s about it. Now the bar situation — a complete joke. They didn’t have Red Label the entire week, even though I asked every day. Magically, they had it only on our last night. Ordered beer from room service that same night and was told they ran out. What kind of resort runs out of beer? Bar staff were kind, but management clearly doesn’t care. They cut corners everywhere. The lobby bar closes at 12am, but they stop serving at exactly 11:57pm — seriously? This place gave off the vibe of poor management just trying to save money wherever possible, even if it ruins the guest experience. In short: beautiful property, nice staff, horrible management. We came as a group of 8 adults and 2 babies, and all of us regret booking here. Dreams Macao ripped us off for $1500 each. We’ll never be back.

I just stayed here for an extended vacation and to attend the wedding. The resort is nice and most of the staff was great. There are a few things to mention though. First, air conditioning is non existent in just about every indoor location even bedrooms. When the air is turned all the way down it’s still blazing hot. Went to dinner at Bordeaux and I was literally stuck to the seat from sweat. Had dinner at the hibachi restaurant and it was the same. Second, I know the vendors on the beach are just trying to make money but the constant harassment to buy stuff while you’re just trying to relax is extremely annoying not to mention being chased by stray dogs on the beach. The food is also pretty mediocre. Some days the potatoes were so stale you couldn’t cut through them. There aren’t a lot of options for food during the day except the buffet or room service. I ordered room service and there were leaves in my salad. Also the app didn’t work and there are no digital keys.

Seaquarium Punta Cana offers an unforgettable underwater experience that immerses you in the vibrant marine life of the Caribbean Sea. This adventure begins with a convenient open-top bus ride from your hotel to the quay, where a modern catamaran awaits. Onboard, guests can enjoy lively entertainment, fresh fruits, snacks, and refreshing drinks as they cruise through stunning waters.
Great trip to the dive spot that also offers snorkeling, stop to the sandbar, swimming with the sharks and stingrays, photo opportunity with a sea lion, and party on the boat. The staff was entertaining and friendly. It was a lot of fun!
Nena R — Google review
This, like most excursions are a tourist trap and cash grab. For $125USD, they bring you on a “party” boat that didn’t have enough seats for everyone and fed us sandwiches that had been sitting in the sun for hours. You spend most of your time waiting for the next activity and they were all underwhelming. The sharks, stingrays, and seals are kept in the smallest enclosures. Two stars since the underwater walk was interesting, but you spend most of the time posing for photos and there’s nothing to see underwater.

We were picked up in a hotel by a bus with open windows, like a safari type of bus. This is fun during hot weather: gives one a fresh breeze, however: those who go with smaller kids or with vulnerable people: if you leave at 7:15am, it gets very breezy, on the edge of feeling cold and wishing you had a hat on, to cover the ears :) especially when the drive goes amidst a busy city traffic, with a speed of 50-60km/h. So i would kindly recommend having a sweater and even a hat, if you leave at 7:15am :) we had a great excursion. The boat experience was something, the snorkeling was fun. The sea zoo was a bit depressing… i wanted to just let them al out, those fishes… i did not know it would be a sea zoo.. i thought we would be in some special area of habitat of the herbivore sharks… anyways: whats done is done. But for sensitive empaths: a warning: a sea zoo would break your heart a little. The experience in helmets 10 out of 10, that was great :) i liked the safety measures. I coykd really see that me and my kids are under protection of specially trained staff under water. We were guided practically by hand! I appreciate it. Thank you!! And the pictures were fun and nice and lots of them. Thanks for that too!!

We had a great time on this excursion. The crew are wonderful, entertaining and engaging. You get to do a few things on this day trip like snorkeling, the sea walk, swimming with stingrays and sharks as well as swimming in the amazing crystal clear ocean. This trip does include drinks but not anything I would consider food. They offered fruit and cheese sandwiches but it's not enough to sustain you. We were told (by the events coordinator at our resort) that the day would start with pick up at 7am and then we'd be back at our resort by 12:30pm but that's not entirely true. The day started with pick up at 7am then an hour and a half bus ride, picking up other guests on an open air bus with the most uncomfortable seats on earth. We also didn't get back to our resort until 3:30pm and everyone was starving by this point. I do recommend this experience because it's a lot of fun and there are drinks involved but bring a snack.
Amy D — Google review
We did the excursion June 4, 2025 and would highly recommend. In addition to scuba helmet experience we also did snorkeling, swimming with bull sharks/stingrays, and picture with sea lion. The pricing was great for the time spent and activities you get. Super friendly fun staff on the boat! 10/10
Martha B — Google review
We got picked up bright and early for this activity from our resort. The seating is tight. Once you arrive, you are brought onto the catamaran. The party starts with them dancing, hyping the crowd. To be honest I was very excited about this excursion because walking on the bottom of the ocean was intriguing. Paid attention to all the details video only to find out I can’t take part in the excursion because we never paid for it. I turned on my data to show them my voucher which clearly stated I did. They did not let us complete that portion no matter how much was pleaded. Instead, we snorkeld in green water where there was not much visibility at all, went to get a kiss from a seal, they will grab your phones away at this point so they can take pictures. The part or the experience lasted 15 seconds, the seal moves his head back and forth (kiss) we were then quickly ushered to get into the water enclosure with the sting rays, fishes and sharks. Followed by a beach party where they let you hang in the water for 15 min -20mins They provided ham & cheese sandwiches, drinks and some fruit. Overall, to be honest the staff was tried to be hyped. Had I know that is all I was going to be doing i would have rather stay at the resort. We wasted 7 hours of our day as we never got to do the activity we signed up for. So fast forward they bring you back to shore, request that you tip, the pictures were average, wanted $80+. At the end of the day, if you like to party on a boat. This excursion is for you.
Mary M — Google review
We did this excursion and it was cool but not without it's issues. For one, the bus is an open cabin with tiny seats that seem like they have padding but they don't. You can get motion sickness in the bus. Then you get to the place after picking up at different locations, no biggie, and you get aboard a ship. You are divided into groups. One snorkels, one does the scuba helmets, and two others wait. Waiting was fine, there were drinks and fruit. The snorkeling was cool and the scuba helmets, you go in a circle stopping to snap pictures. The swimming with stingrays and sharks was cool but felt bad as they are in an enclosure. Overall not a bad experience and I liked the sea lion.

Marinarium Excursions provides a unique ocean tour experience that appeals to guests from all over the country. The Reef Explorer tour offers guests the chance to swim with nurse sharks and stingrays in an enclosed marine area. Kayaking, paddle boarding, and massages are also available as activities on the tour. Food is included in the price of the tour.
This place is amazing!! I highly recommend this excursion, definitely worth it. They have a lot of options for activities, such as swimming with sharks or stingrays. You can also go to check out the coral reef and different fishes. They also have paddle boarding and various water activities. The staff is also amazing and Yerlin was absolutely the best. He went above and beyond to make our experience a memorable one…. And I will never forget that!!!

Very friendly and accommodating staff. There are a couple of pens you can snorkel in. One with sting rays and one with nurse sharks. There is a fair amount of fish hanging around the floating dock platform because they get fed. One quick "snorkel tour" over a few rocky areas showed a few more colorful fish, but to many. Kind of spendy for what you get, but that's not much different than any other excursion. Overall, a nice change of scenery and very friendly staff, but probably not worth the cost

Fun little destination. We did the snorkeling. Staff was fun and did a great job entertaining us the whole time through. Cocktails were good. A highlight of our trip!
Travis Z — Google review
This place is booked with your resort as an excursion. It's not worth the price of 149.00 US The winds and waves were high. Terrible weather conditions and still they chose to send us out. There is NO reef. No calm sea. The catamaran is enclosed. Upon arrival to the destination, there was 1 shark, so I was told, yet no one saw it. The stingrays were very tiny and only saw a few along the bottom while snorkeling in closed in area. There is no variety of fish to see. Although i noticed a few other reviews stating staff were great and organized, Ours was not organized, they seemed lost. The photographer took pics of us swimming or on land with whoever we were with, but no pics in water with fish or the one shark no one saw, lol. They did go find a stingray and took pics with you. The excursion pics are $30US, and the stingray pics are $15US. You can swim with the little fish and feed them right out of your hand, that was pretty cool. They served pineapple chunks, coconut pieces, cucumber chunks, and nacho chips with salsa along with coke, sprite, water, or coffee.

My family of eight were snorkeling on an adjacent boat to the anchored glass bottom from this company. At which point, they decided to start the motors and reverse straight at our family. Im taking feet from their props. When we called out, they laughed and made fun of our freight to the people on the boat. My 2 smallest children were very scared. I am a boater and I operate my own vessel. They clearly do not operate with any type of saftey standard or courtesy. I hope you hear this and decide to avoid contributing to this enterprise. Sea pro was professional. They are right next to them. Had a decent experience there. Have a great vacation!

Overall great experience. The crew had people dancing on the boat and were very engaging. The boat was clean and they had drinks available. I was nervous about the snorkeling and Ramon from the crew stayed with me until I was comfortable. I didn’t see a lot of sharks, but it could have been because I was nervous snorkeling and didn’t move around much. I was a little disappointed that we couldn’t hold the stingray, but it was a little feisty. The sand bar with drinks was amazing.

Los Corales Beach Bavaro is a picturesque paradise that boasts stunning white sands and tranquil waters, making it an ideal spot for relaxation. Located between the bustling areas of Bavaro and El Cortecito, this beach offers a serene escape while still being close to vibrant local life. The neighborhood features charming beachfront condos and intimate villas, like those found in Sol Tropical, which perfectly embody the peaceful essence of tropical living.
A beautiful and peaceful beach with soft white sand and crystal-clear waters. Great for relaxing, swimming, or taking a walk along the shore. Definitely worth visiting for a quiet day by the sea!

Great place, beach is nice but can get busy on weekends with locals and tourists. Ask around and see where locals eat, there's good chicken rice and beans at a stall for 1/2 the cost of the other places. "Danny" on the beach by the pier is fair for tours and things local.

Punta Cana Buggies - Excursiones Buggy - Adventure ATV buggy offers an exciting adventure where you can ride ATVs or Polaris vehicles to explore stunning locations such as Macao Beach and Cenote Taina. While some elements of the excursion were interesting, like cave swimming and zip-lining, there were mixed reviews about certain aspects.
Great adventure from start to finish. Guides were excellent.even at the end. Miqui especially did great ordering a taxi for us to our hotel.
Craig H — Google review
Absolutely horrible! The buggies would barely stay in the road and completely unsafe. The horses were covered in ticks and don’t look like they have ever had food. Paid for a full day and ended up calling a taxi to leave. Was told right in the meeting the “cave swimming” was man made so no real cave just another concrete pool. Nexus tours told me they would discount our almost $500 fee before we checked out of the resort… just to wait till our plane was about to leave and said no you have to pay the full amount. It is charged to your resort room number so you have no choice but to pay. Real customer real experience. Also, on the buggy ride the mud is nothing more than street puddles that are stagnant and when you get back they have probably 20 outside shower heads to wash off with… good luck cause only three or four were working and they were barely dripping water. So there you are still covered in fly bloated stagnant mud and now it’s time to eat… no thank you! Caught a ride out before I ended up sick in a hospital. They make piles of money! Just our bus if they paid what I did had $3,000 dollars in sales on it and there was about 5 buses there with our group. Make that kind of money don’t even give the horses food or water!
Mark I — Google review
Let me just start off by saying, if I could rate them zero on communication and organization, I would. Where do I even begin? The buggy tour, or should I say the 'Old, Slow, Dirty Buggy Tour,' was a disaster from start to finish. They picked us up from the hotel at 7:15 AM, but what they didn't mention is that we spent the next 2 hours stopping at ten other hotels to pick up more guests. The driver was absolutely awful—no communication whatsoever. When it started raining, he didn't even bother to pull over so we could roll down the plastic covers meant to keep us dry. We had to struggle with it ourselves, and half of the plastic was torn and useless. And the buggies themselves? Filthy. They weren't cleaned before we got in, covered in mud from previous trips. Our guide, Filip, was friendly, but his buggy kept breaking down, wasting even more of our time. We barely had ten minutes at the cave and another ten at the beach because of all the delays. Beware of the young guys trying to approach you with lizards and birds for photos—they start off friendly but demand $100 for a picture with their pets. During the tour, they take you to a ranch to see how they make cocoa and coffee, but the samples they give you aren't anything like what you can buy. I purchased some cocoa, and it tasted completely different from the sample they showed us. In short, I wouldn't recommend this company for excursions. Do your due diligence and look elsewhere.
B G — Google review
We had a great time. The guides were nice, but some of the elements of the excursion were interesting. For example, skip swimming in the "cave". It's just a man made loop like you'd see at a Waterpark. Nothing natural about it and you have to wear a life jacket. The Dominican culture elements were more people trying to sell items and jumping in front of your ATV than anything. The beach itself was kinda dirty but once you hit the ocean it was super clear water. Definitely go, but go for the ATVs. People in the dune buggies just didn't seem to have as much fun. A lot of waiting in line for them where those of us on ATVs could go much faster. Bring a handkerchief or expect to buy one there.
Leilah P — Google review
It's a good drive a little bit bumpy they are not A1 karts but they sure can take a beating lol. You have 3 stop the price is decent but work it out with your travel representative. You have 2 or 4 people karts so you can go as a group or family etc.
Eddy J — Google review
It was good, an excellent place; i only would have liked to get more time between activities; so people could enjoy the excursion better. Even though, very good service an attendance 👍
Jhonatan V — Google review
Horse riding good although a bit disappointed as company said we would ride on the beach which didn't happen, also when at beach ripped off with drinks 1 beer 1 water 10 dollars think they just make up prices to be honest, stopping at places that sell stuff is also a con so be aware.

Guests can also relax by the pool or enjoy the on-site restaurant.
A marvelous afternoon spent at the Caribbean Lake Park. No wait at the entrance. The rules are available before entering. No outside food allowed. A restaurant BATU is at the CLP. The prices were very reasonable for 3 adults pool use only and 3 kids under 8 based on park activities! Also, a $10 of the pool voucher for consumption each. All the activities had an attendant guide for the children. The safety is enforced at each activity. A full fun day of water sports. The little ones had a ball. I recommend this for a summer fun outing!

What a fantastic experience! You get a lot for your money, and the employees are so helpful and friendly. We did the buggies and the aquakarts. Included with that is a ride on the zip line and unlimited rides on the hotdog raft. So much fun! Highly recommend. We went on a Friday afternoon and it was like we were the only ones there. The photographer was awesome, he got some great shots. The photo package was a little pricy but it was worth it because the pictures were so great! We booked thru the JetBlue vacations guy at the hotel and the shuttle to and from was included. It’s right next door to the dolphin experience. I suggest doing the afternoon session because you are continuously in the sun and even in the afternoon it was really hot. Bring towels and sunscreen, money for tips, cash for the photos (they take cards but prefer cash), and water shoes or crocs. They provide free lockers. The water is super clean, fresh water; I wasn’t afraid to fall in. This experience is great for all ages. The shuttle from the hotel was at 1:40 and from the park at 5:40. So about 4 1/2 hours altogether and totally worth it!

While this excursion was the most expensive it was definitely a lot of fun. It was adrenaline rushing and exhilarating. I did have a problem with my wife's expensive straw water bottle not being allowed in, so that they could sell us Dasani $2 waters(they were big). My wife liked the aquakarts and the donut, she said she was afraid to tip over on the jet skis so she didn't have as much fun. I also loved the donuts, but had more fun on the jet skis. The pool is beautiful, the whole scenerie lovely. I think we spent 30mins on each activity, and unlike water parks in NY there is no line here. It felt like we had a fast pass to do as much as we wanted.

We had an incredible experience, and I’m certain you’ll have a fantastic time. The staff is exceptional and ensures that you have a wonderful time. You should definitely try the professional photo service available onsite. However, you’ll need to ensure that the photographer is aware of the activities you’ll be doing. Sometimes, it was a bit challenging to coordinate which activities we’d be doing and make sure the photographer was ready. I’m not sure if this is an understaffing issue, but I definitely feel like it should be improved. Besides that, you should absolutely check out this place.

Incredibly overpriced & did not include all the activities listed. The whole process was super disorganized & tedious. Most of all really do not appreciate how aggressive & overbearing they were to purchase aburdly overpriced add on pictures lmao. I didn't want to commemorate this experience. Staff genuinely got irirritaed by our decline. Then presumed to follow us a couple feet & keep going when we eventually just tried to walk away. Super unprofessional and very uncomfortable for us. Catholic church
Iglesia católica Jesus Maestro is a charming parish located just 5 minutes away from El Cortecito Beach, making it convenient for beachgoers to attend Sunday Mass. The church offers services on Sundays at 10 am and 7:30 pm, as well as on Saturdays at 7:15 pm. Visitors appreciate the inclusive atmosphere, with Mass being crowded with tourists and some parts translated into English.
Cute local church in Punta Cana. Standing room only with both local and visitors attending Sunday mass.

Situated near Majestic Colonial Bavaro Village in Punta Cana , Dominican Republic.weekday Catholic Spanish mass @8am Dome skylight allows natural light that illuminates the simple, unassuming structure, a quiet place to contemplate & start a day with peace & courage

Nice church, wonderful people. Attended Mass on a Sunday at 10:00 a.m. and was blessed to have the bishop attend the mass and say the homily. Said the rosary before Mass and everyone was very welcoming of me. Being on vacation and finding a good church is an easy sometimes but this is a great little spot to worship.

Great Sunday mass at 10 in both Spanish and English
David Z — Google review
I went here on Sunday while I was away on vacation...The Mass was crowded with tourists so I felt right at home...It was nice that they had the liturgy and some of the Mass translated into English for the people attending whodont understand Spanish...I sat in the middle because I just made it on time...I made sure I sat underneath the ceiling fan because the sun was out and was beaming through the glass window above me...I wish I could have gave stayed longer to attend Palm Sunday Mass next week...The people, the Priests, the readers, and the choir were great...
Tony C — Google review
Beautiful mass in Spanish, we went to the 7:15pm Mass on Saturday. They had a rosary novena right before mass so it was slightly delayed.
Caroline M — Google review
Sunday Masses are Saturday at 19:15 and Sunday at 10:00 and 19:30. Weekday Masses are Monday to Saturday at 8:00, plus Wednesday at 19:00 and the last Tuesday of each month at 19:00. There are no missals or hymn books provided in the pews, so bring your own Spanish missal, eg. online missal. The Sunday 10:00 Mass is partly in English. Friendly priest and parishioners.

Really great Catholic Church, the Sunday mass is at 10am and 6:30pm

Outback Adventures is an amazing tour experience that will have the whole family entertained. The tour guides are knowledgeable and make sure to keep everyone engaged, while also providing education on the local wildlife. This is a must-do tourist attraction in Punta Cana!
I have just returned from Punta Cana. Whilst there a group of four of us took a day excursion with these guys to try see some of Dominican Republic other than just the beach. We were not to be disappointed.. Our pick up arrived on time at our hotel. The tour is conducted using semi open converted lorries. They look good and give you a genuine feel that you are going on an outback tour. They are roomy, reasonably comfortable, and the stairs used a accessible to all but the most mobility challenged. Our guide was Jesus, driver was Caesar. Both of them were amazing. We were filled with local information and history. Jokes galore, ample Dominican coffee (rum and coke) all day long. The itinerary was well thought out and executed. Was great to see how the island runs outside of the hotel resorts. The local people are very friendly and proud of their heritage. Exceptionally safe trip all round. Lunch was very nice indeed. Local fare with a good BBQ mix thrown in. The rum flowed through lunch. Of extreme note. The ladies in our group were so impressed with the toilet facilities throughout this tour. Never mind how far off the beaten track we thought we were. There were plenty of clean, fresh, well maintained facilities. So if you want to get off the beaten trail in comfort, see the local life and infrastructure. These are the people to use. Great value, very safe. What a great day out.

These folks were top notch. Our guide was a lady names Suzi and she really knew what she was talking about as we drove around. She gave us lots of great information about the island, people, and culture. Our first stop was to a little school house that had a few students in session at the time. It was hard to see little ones trying to learn with minimal books, supplies, or even limited running water and fans. Outback Adventures has a program where they donate to the local schools which is great but more is really needed for these kids. Our next stop was to a little area that is owned by a family that grows cocoa, coffee, cinnamon, and vanilla. They also make their own mamajuana. This was a great stop. We got to see the steps in the process of making these and I have to say it was some of the best coffee and vanilla I have ever had in my life. Stock up on the vanilla because you can’t get that quality for that price back home. Nelson was the name of the products and he was very knowledgeable about it all. Next we were taken to a beach where the locals like to party. Suzie got out some drinks from the SUV and we had a great time just enjoying the view. After that we were taken to Outback Adventures actual location. They roll cigars, make mamajuana, have wild animals, and a large assortment of vegetation. We also were served a delicious lunch high up in the mountains here. After dinner we were taken to a local river where we could relax in hammocks or take a dip in the water. It was interesting watching people with tables and chairs sitting in the river playing dominoes. Very relaxing experience. Our last stop was a coconut farm where we saw them harvest coconuts. We were treated to fresh coconut milk and then some mixed drinks with the milk, rum, and coconut cream. It tasted wonderful. I wish we had not been so exhausted by this point as it would have been nice to have some energy to enjoy this more.

Six person family stopped here on a Christmas cruise. We got Yoky and Juan. Absolutely spectacular trip. Beautiful views, great (vegetarian-friendly) local food, and an insider look into Dominican life. Would absolutely recommend.

We had Danny Boy as our driver and he was excellent. He was very knowledgeable. We were one car of 5, and Danny Boy made sure we were the first group to tour, eat, get to beach. He went out of his way to make us special.

We chose the Outback Safari excursion as one of our Nexus Tours options and thoroughly enjoyed this rewarding experience. Please consider bringing with you some school supplies for the children that you will visit during the stop at the school. They can use all of the assistance that they can get. Please note that the Outback Adventures organization will also invest half of the proceeds for the items they sell (shirts, hats, etc.) back to the community. The bus ride was safe and never uncomfortable. Eddy is a multilingual, world-class tour guide and we were very thrilled to spend our day with him.

Absolutely amazing time! We had Leo and Angel as our driver and guide. They were honestly the best people to have. Got to see what the Dominican is really like, as well as eating real Dominican food and trying real products. Highly recommended! Also give funds to the local schools which is lovely!

Amazing!!! Angel made our tour so much fun and interesting. He really knows Dominican history and is very proud of it. No time to get bored, it was so much fun and the places we went were beautiful. We really recommend these guys if you want to go on a tour and have fun. Ask for Angel and Vlad, you gonna have so much fun with them. We fell in love with the Dominican Republic and its people. Can't wait to go back❤

Jesus was the absolute best tour guide! He was funny and very informative. I've been to Punta Cana 3 times and the views during lunch and Macao beach were the most beautiful we've seen yet. The food was hands down the best Dominican food I've ever eaten. I would recommend this tour to anyone who doesn't mind the heat+walking and wants to purchase the best tasting coffee and rums at affordable prices. I wish they sold El Chappey's online.

Nestled along one of the world's top ten beaches, the Barceló Bávaro Grand Resort offers an idyllic escape with its stunning 2 km stretch of pristine shoreline in Punta Cana. This enchanting destination is safeguarded by a coral reef, ensuring calm and crystal-clear waters perfect for relaxation. The resort itself boasts exceptional amenities and is conveniently located near some of the Caribbean's most breathtaking natural wonders, as well as premier golf courses.
Good food if you are first in line. Spa hot and cold plunge and pool attached will be your highlight if you are an athletic person looking for recovery. Adult pool early has less drinking and partying peaceful swimming. Walk to your evening restaurants or tram train it!

Beautiful location and property absolutely ruined by the horrible food!!! No matter which buffet or restaurant I went to the food was of such poor quality that it was barely edible! Seriously, it’s a step below Golden Corral! The rooms were nice, but had LOTS of mosquitoes in them!
Kevin G — Google review
Beautiful location literally on the beach. The food is amazing. Only tried buffet. Had anything you could want or need . Seafood and a good selection, pasta, pizza, fruit, vegetables, vegetarian food, meat lovers dream. The pool is perfect less than a foot shallow for toddler and deep over 7 feet for the scuba diverse. Different age water parks pools. For kids 1-5 5-10 10-15 had a pirate ship . There was a kids club. The bathroom has an open concept if u traveling with friends or coworker or even children over 5 there is a privacy issue as the shower only had 1 door the other part is completely open. The theater is amazingly comfortable chairs and grand . The beach water calm my 2 year old wouldn't be afraid at all no waves and shallow. There was some seaweed but that's normal for time of year. The beach has a lot of palm trees but no umbrellas. The room is has a lot of storage which is great for all the floats and toys. One of the best resorts in our opinion.
Vali X — Google review
Food is terrible 3/4 nights we got sick from the food! Can’t complain about resort drinks we already know how that is! The majority of the staff constantly begging for tips but very aggressively! At The Coral restaurant Yonathan the nicest guy ever!!! The food was blah but Yonathan was very sweet, professional and accommodating! The hotel rooms are very outdated! Don’t bother to do the boat tour they take you to this island with horrible food and you basically just go there for the beach with no entertainment for $100 smh! Overall it wasn’t a good experience I wouldn’t go back there and I wouldn’t refer anyone to that resort! Side Bar they emailed me a review I put 1 star it automatically said my survey expired so I couldn’t continue don’t believe their website reviews it’s fake! (Survey was sent to me yesterday during my stay)

Out of all the resorts in Punta Cana, I think this is the worst resort. The food was terrible literally made me throw up and the customer service was absolutely disgusting. I asked for towels in my room. Somebody literally open the door and threw them on the floor. Also, the Jacuzzi outside was broken did not even work in the inside was dirty. They did not clean the rooms and the AC was not working. Do not waste your money on this resort because we paid a lot of money to stay here for three days and ended up staying for one day and didn’t even get a refund for the other two days we didn’t stay. Don’t stay here !

This establishment does not even deserve a one ⭐️ My friend and her husband, both in their late 40s, booked a week-long stay at the Barcelo Bávaro Grand Resort. The first few days were enjoyable and relaxing, but everything changed on the fifth night. After heading down to dinner, they each had two shots of tequila. Soon after, the wife began feeling wheezy and wanted to return to the room. Both she and her husband are seasoned drinkers who know their limits and never overdo it, so this reaction was unusual. As they made their way back, a security guard approached the husband. The details are hazy, but he recalls fighting back as guards tried to rip his gold chain from his neck. Somehow, they managed to get back to their room. Both began vomiting, became extremely lethargic, and blacked out. Hours later, they woke up bruised and battered—she had a black eye, and he was covered in bruises from head to toe. This was especially devastating 😢 since he had recently been diagnosed with aggressive cancer, making the assault even more brutal. To make matters worse, their cell phones had vanished. When they reported the incident at the front desk, staff brushed it off. Yet, when they returned to their room, both phones mysteriously reappeared in a black bag. Shocked and shaken, they spent the following day confined to their room. That evening at dinner, another couple approached them and said they had witnessed part of the attack and even tried to record it, though the footage was too blurry. My friend and her husband explained that they had no memory of the full event and strongly suspected their drinks had been spiked. At that point, the only focus was getting home safely. They left in an Uber for the airport, vowing never to return. They described it as the scariest experience of their lives. As a warning to other travelers, I started digging into whether their story was an isolated case. Unfortunately, I found many similar horror stories on Reddit and TripAdvisor‼️ We had originally planned a trip there ourselves, but after hearing this, we’ll be staying stateside. Tourists, beware. 🚨🚨🚨

First time doing an escape room (2 couples) and we honestly had a blast. Everything is so well thought through and honestly impressive. The team working here is extremely enthusiastic. After completing the first room, we immediately signed ourselves up for the second room the next night. Highly recommend as a family or group activity. Very entertaining and great service. There were 4 of us.

Escape Room was definitely the most incredible Experience I've ever lived. It was really helpful to my mind trying to figure out how to get out of a Cage with around 7 different locks when you don't even have a flashlight to get the keys, haha. Would recommend everyone to come and try. Excellent Experience!!!

Fun-Buggy Punta Cana offers an exhilarating adventure through the picturesque countryside around Punta Cana. The experience includes visits to local villages, caves, and even horseback riding. The tour provides a unique perspective of Punta Cana beyond the resorts, allowing participants to immerse themselves in the authentic Dominican Republic.
Best buggy excursion in the Dominican. I have been on this adventure numerous times and its still the best. I highly recommend this excursion.
Scott R — Google review
The best excursion I have ever been on. If you want to experience the real D.R. this is your tour. The buggies are standard transmission so I hope you can drive a stick. It is a full day, Kurt and his crew will treat you like family. I can't say enough about this tour. Ten plus all the way around.
John P — Google review
Kurt was fantastic, as always. Did the tour New Years Eve. Had also done it last March, and my wife wanted to do it again. This time we brought friends, and they loved it as well. They claimed it was the best thing they had ever done ( I already knew that). His Mechanic ( I forget his name) is also AWESOME! Best Buggy tour in all Dominican. I would definitely do it again !! Kurt... you’re fantastic!!! Thanks for a great tour!
John B — Google review
The best excursion I've ever been on. Kurt takes you on rough terrain and the cities streets in the coolest buggy I've ever driven. You get to see punta cana through different eyes not just the resort. He is very knowledgeable about the beautiful island. From the start we took off from Kurt's house to a little store and rooster fighting exhibition after that there were multiple stops. Lunch at a local cigar factory where we ate looking at the mountains. A stop at Macau beach was great..clear blue waters! Then a chocolate factory and a rum factory right next to each other. If you go to punta cana YOU HAVE TO BOOK A FUN BUGGY TOUR! I am already planning my next trip back!
Manuel R — Google review
One of the best excursions in Punta Cana. Kurt gives you tour of real Dominican Republic. Shows you the rural areas, farms, local small grocery stores, and shows that how people live their lives. Cock fight was another attraction he showed. And then local beach.
Laddi D — Google review
Overall the experience was a nice way to get away from Punta Cana and see a bit of the Dominican Republic. The ride itself was pretty rough due to the unpaved roads and lack of suspension in the cars. But the guide was knowledgeable and helpful, and the places he took us was worth it.
Austin F — Google review
My family and I absolutely loved Kurt and the Funbuggy tour. We did the full tour and it was not disappointing at all. Kurt is so knowledgable and patient. We learned so much and had even more fun!! We were in the DR for a wedding and some of the guests chose another tour, when we told them about our Funbuggy experience, they were a bit jealous. Thanks again to Kurt!
Gwen P — Google review
Very informative and good guide. The buggies are beat to heck with 3rd world brakes, transmission and pretty much no safety gear. Beggars come running from the hills when they hear the engines. The tour was good if you want thy o go off the beaten path. You must be able to drive a stick shift. Glad I did it once, but would not do it again as the buggies scared the heck out of my family.
