History museum
Museums
The Barbados Museum & Historical Society offers a captivating journey through the rich heritage and culture of Barbados. Housed in a 19th-century British Military Prison, the museum features seven galleries showcasing diverse collections, including rare antique maps, 18th-century plantation house furnishings, Amerindian artifacts, and a well-preserved prison cell. Visitors can also explore an interactive gallery for children and browse a superb gift shop offering West Indian books, paintings, jewelry, and Barbadian crafts.
Pros: Rihanna's Umbrella ☔ at start. 😆 Great history lesson and inspiring geo, plant, animal and human life that contributed to this island. Bravo on a great display of history and labelled well. I think this is a must see and didn't mind any heat as it was warm but not too hot. Cons: Restrict photos in some rooms but you can take nature and photos of scenic area.
Dylan S — Google review
An interesting place to visit for some history and background to Barbados. Lots of exhibits but the inside galleries are very hot and humid so you tend not to dwell too long on them. Fans definitely need to be installed. Some galleries were locked. Nice grounds.
Sue G — Google review
Very interesting museum, has detailed info on all the history of Barbados and its nature. Very recommended to visit if you want to know more about the island. Not all the interactive installations in the museum worked properly, however this will not impact negatively your visit.
Lorenzo P — Google review
As others have said the museum is unbearably hot. Half of the ceiling fans were not working which meant we were dripping sweat. It’s a shame because we were enjoying learning so much but it was too hot! A few of the exhibits do have AC which was nice. The main parts of the museum is a bit dated so it’s time for a refresh but overall the content was good.
Kate R — Google review
A great museum to get an introduction into Barbados. The only negative is that one part of the museum can only be seen through glass from the outside!
Alfahad91 — Google review
A must visit museum to gain an understanding of the rich history of Barbados.
EFlatMajor7 — Google review
This museum taught me so much about Barbados! It’s a must go. We went on an extremely hot day and one of the first exhibits was sweltering to the point I couldn’t fully enjoy it because I was sweating so much. They should put in some fans or AC in there but the rest of the self guided tour was awesome. Was fortunate to have met the development officer on that day and expressed my enjoyment of the space.
Cheryl C — Google review
Best way to take in the natural and human history of this great country. The museum is well-organized and does an excellent job of educating people on Barbados's history. Every tourist must see this.

Discover an unforgettable underwater adventure with Atlantis Submarines in Barbados. Experience the thrill of diving 150 feet below the surface during sunset, witnessing marine life at its most active. As darkness falls, the submarine's lights are turned off, revealing a mesmerizing shipwreck (often) and allowing you to witness the beauty of the ocean's nocturnal inhabitants. It's an amazing experience filled with stunning fish and coral that will leave you in awe.
What an experience! If you're hesitant, don't! Just go for it! We saw plenty of different fish, sea turtles, corals, a ship wrecked, and plenty more. All these things were supported with knowledgeable comments from a crew, hilarious jokes, and a bunch of smiles from the crowd. There is a quick boat ride to the submarine, around 10 minutes. Perfect time to learn a safety protocol. The submarine runs smoothly as a knife in a butter. I didn't feel any pressure differences during any maneuver, neither while descending, turning nor ascending. There is plenty of space inside. Everyone gets its own portholes. Just sit and enjoy the beauty of the ocean.
Arkady G — Google review
The submarine is located in Kensington. The experience was awesome. As we went further to the bottom of the ocean the natural colors in the submarine changed. The tour guides were very informative and funny at the same time …felt we were in a comedy show…not boring at all nor scary…There were a variety of fishes. We also saw turtles, beautiful coral reefs and a ship wreckage.Unfortunately the camera could not capture the full beauty of the ocean. ❤️🇬🇾
Gaitrie L — Google review
Seeing all the fishies made me feel a little bad about going Oistins on the regular. Nevertheless it was a fantastic experience - the staff were very energetic and friendly and made this tour enjoyable. Just a note though, if you are easily prone to getting seasick I would highly recommend taking whatever supplements you prefer because the boat ride to the sub made me feel like I was on a different planet
Nazɐnnex — Google review
We had such a great time on the submarine tour! The whole crew was super friendly, knowledgeable, and really made the experience enjoyable from start to finish. They explained everything clearly, answered all our questions, and made the whole trip feel relaxed and fun. Would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a fun and memorable activity. Big thanks to the awesome team
Nicole C — Google review
The Submarine excursion with Carnival was quite disappointing. I was really looking forward to seeing coral reefs and colorful fish, but unfortunately, I didn't get the chance. We were taken 150 feet underwater, but the ride was cut short due to strong water currents. I expected at least some form of reimbursement, but I haven't received one yet and am currently working on getting my money back. Honestly, after this experience, I wouldn't recommend or try it again. That's why I rated it two stars—the disappointment of missing out on what was promised was really disheartening.
Alex P — Google review
The crew members were both informative and entertaining on this underwater adventure, which takes you to see a shipwreck and coral reef up close at a depth of up to 150 feet. Definitely make sure to book in advance and book by directly calling Atlantis Submarines (I got a discount that lasts until the end of July if you call them directly).
Konrad N — Google review
A fantastic and unique experience! Going underwater in a real submarine was a thrill for both the kids and adults. We saw shipwrecks, colourful coral reefs and loads of tropical fish! The crew were knowledgeable, friendly, and kept us entertained the whole time. It’s an amazing way to see a side of Barbados that you’d otherwise miss. Definitely one for the bucket list when visiting the island.
Mohammed H — Google review
This was an incredible experience. If you are visiting Barbados this is a must visit. The crew took their safety very seriously and they were so friendly and knowledgeable. The tour itself was truly a remarkable experience. Do yourself a favor and get in the submarine and explore the bottom of the ocean.

Immerse yourself in history with a visit to George Washington House, where the first American president stayed for two months in 1751. This 1700s plantation home offers tours of the house and grounds, including access to hidden tunnels and a gallery displaying artifacts related to Barbados' history, particularly its connection to slavery. Conveniently located on the main coastal road in Hastings, it serves as an ideal base for exploring the island.
What a cool visit—and a history lesson rolled into one! They show a short movie every 20 minutes or so, giving you some great insight into what George went through before and during his time on the island. We didn’t get a chance to check out the café, but it looked pretty inviting, and plenty of people were enjoying food and drinks outside. Restrooms are on site and are clean. Oh, and don’t miss the super narrow underground tunnel you can walk through—it leads you right out to the parking lot!
Christina M — Google review
James was an excellent tour guide. Definitely visit this place if you are in Bridgetown and make sure to do the full Barbados Garrison tour.
Konrad N — Google review
It is too expensive to get in, but was still worth visiting especially jf you’re interested in US history. I recommend starting from the 15 minute movie then making your way to the house with the audio guide. The tunnel was very interesting if you’re mot claustrophobic. The house itself is slightly underwhelming.
Alfahad91 — Google review
At $20 USD, the admission is a bit steep, but I understand how funds are needed to maintain this historic site. I came near to closing time but they very kindly let me in! I was really impressed with the high quality of the displays and descriptions - perfect balance of information without being too long and tedious. Interesting personal stories of George Washington, his brother Lawrence, and the people of that time, which captures our attention. The audio guide was clear and again, informative while being brief. The tunnels are a bonus adventure! I recommend a visit here if you are in Barbados.
Eileen W — Google review
Enjoyed this museum. Nice slow pace to wander around in with commentary at each location. Film in their diddy cinema, which had aircon, was very interesting too.
Bex A — Google review
A fantastic insight into the early life of George Washington and how his visit to Barbados when he was just 19/20 helped forge who he would become in later life ☺️ They also have a gift shop and restaurant and a lovely cat 😁
Mark T — Google review
This was quite a different experience. There's a tunnel under the George Washington house. They also have a movie that tells you the history which was very informative and interesting.
JENNEKEN R — Google review
Very interesting visit today, the grounds are nice, the cinema at the start gives a refreshing 15 minutes of air conditioned viewing of the background to Washingtons visit to Barbados and gives an insight to the career change he made after visiting. The museum has lots of information regarding the slave trade and its abolition. Well worth the visit.

Garrison Savannah, located in Bridgetown, is a historic horse racing venue with an oval grass track that has been hosting races since the 1800s. This area also holds historical significance as it was once a military base, evident from the imposing stone structures surrounding it. Visitors can explore colonial barracks and military hospitals while enjoying traditional Barbadian food available for purchase.
Lovely afternoon spent at a most historic sight. Had VIP tickets but it's really nice to go casual, drinks well priced. Atmosphere fantastic, went on guineas day. And it helps if you win!

Brilliant family day at the races. Great atmosphere and good selection of cheap food and drink. Recommended for a day out in Barbados.
Zebradee2009 — Google review
Watched the races here on a Saturday. I’ve never seen live horse races and it was amazing!!! Will be going back the next time we visit. Don’t go to the stands, ground floor further down the track, cold drinks, good food. That’s where the party’s at!
Josh — Google review
Really good experience watching a horse race. Friendly staff. Enough parking. The dress code online is strict, but people were ok going in with shirts, sandal/flipflops, and crop tops.
Kathi H — Google review
Brilliant family day at the races. Great atmosphere and good selection of food and drink. Do recommended a day out here.

We went to the Boxing Day meet, and what a great afternoon we had! Fantastic atmosphere, and the Bajans really know how to celebrate a public holiday. We paid to go in, but you can watch from the outside, and there's loads of food stalls and drinks available. Definitely go if you get the chance.
Lindsey A — Google review
Stopped in on race day to catch a few races and decided it was nicer to watch outside the track in the breeze than in the stands and pay to sit. Lovely afternoon, plenty of places to make bets around the track and vendors selling drinks and food. A nice afternoon when in Barbados.

Nice atmosphere with the street food & drinks around & you can watch the racing for free if you don't want to go into the main grandstand. Makes it affordable to everyone, great idea unlike in the UK.

Pebbles Beach, located on the western shore of Barbados, is a picturesque white-sand beach known for its calm waters, making it perfect for activities like paddle boarding and kayaking. This beach is part of Needhams Point and is adjacent to Brownes Beach. While it may be shorter in length compared to its neighbors, Pebbles Beach offers golden sands and clear waters, providing a serene setting for relaxation.
One of the most beautiful beaches we visited during our trip. The water is crystal clear and calm, perfect for swimming and safe for little ones. We came early in the morning and were lucky enough to see racehorses in the sea, which was just magical. Clean sand, great local vibes and food trucks nearby serving delicious bites. A must-visit spot in Barbados, we came back more than once!
Mohammed H — Google review
Fun beach with waves big enough for surfing/boogie boarding down at the Hilton end. Chairs and umbrellas for rent. Clean bathrooms/changing rooms and plenty of food and drink options.
Bob R — Google review
Great opportunity to see horses bathe in the early morning. I was there 7am and there were plenty of horses. I avoided the few hustlers at the beginning just walk past them and reach the beach and you can watch from a distance for free. It is located between the Hilton and Radisson hotels closer to the Radisson pier.
Alfahad91 — Google review
Beautiful beach and lots of water activities offered. Food and restrooms all on this spot. It’s easy to get there from cruise port and have a fantastic day.
Vernon B — Google review
Nice scenic beach with lovely sand. Seeing the horses go for their early morning swim (5.30am) was a lovely way to start off the day. Shame the Radisson hotel is a tad downtrodden and shabby putting a blight on the landscape. Cuzz's Fish Cutter was a delight on the palette for a refreshing lunch. Cheap and cheerful.
Craig M — Google review
Well worth a visit if your up early. We were there at 6am just after sunrise so not many people there.
Tim N — Google review
We had a great time.We rented loungers and umbrella. The water was nice.We had a nice lunch upstairs, and we went back on a Thursday morning to watch the horses.
Anita T — Google review
Nice beach close to the city centre of Bridgetown. There’s a pretty nice parking lot close to the beach. The parking is free but I would recommend going early as it can get full pretty fast. Close to the parking lot is a changing place. The beach is very long so it doesn’t feel as crowded if you get there in the afternoon.

Batts Rock Beach is a stunning destination in Barbados, offering sandy shores and calm, clear waters that are perfect for swimming and snorkeling. The beach is backed by lush woods where green monkeys can be spotted. For those seeking a mix of history and natural beauty, the nearby Carlisle Bay boasts crystalline waters, golden sands, and several dive-worthy wrecks to explore.
Very beautiful beach that not many know of. There is a restaurant and bar near this post of the beach that is convenient. There are showers for after enjoying the sand and sun. The ZR is not too far of a walk from here making it easy to access. Take a picture on the swings nearby
__ — Google review
This is a fairly small and not crowded beach. You can get sunbeds for $10 USD per person from the lifeguard if you want, but it's not mandatory. There is only the nearby restaurant and drinks are very expensive there, so make sure to bring your own. One thing to be careful of is that the trees where the restaurant is, are the very toxic manchineel trees - you can see those marked with a red painted band. The trees on the right side of the beach are not dangerous and you can sit under their shade safely. The other thing to be careful of is the sea urchins on the rocks next to the restaurant. Stay away from that unless you're absolutely confident of what you're doing. There's a large unpaved parking lot nearby, though keep in mind many people come to that restaurant for lunch so you might struggle to find space around that time. Having said that, it was an enjoyable day for us and would recommend it as long as you keep in mind all of the above.
Vlad S — Google review
Definitely worth a visit. I did not try cabane since it wasn't in the budget but swam alittle on the right and walked alot to the left and saw the rock thingies as well as paradise Beach next door. The rain was an added bonus.

Wonderful beach with Showers and Toilets. Also there is La Cabane restaurant on the beach. Lifeguard some of the time and you can rent beds and parasols. They guys who rent are very friendly and helpful. Also easy parking. It is a truly lovely place and enjoyable place to relax and take the best of Barbados.
Neil F — Google review
Batts Rock Beach is a stunning Caribbean beach that offers the perfect combination of inviting sea, stunning scenery, and the ideal beach vacation climate. The beach is located in the Saint James district of Barbados and is known for its calm and clear waters. The beach is relatively small and quiet, with plenty of trees for shade (but be aware they are marked with red stripe -they are poisonous). The beach is also a spot for average snorkeling, (unfortunately close to shore the coral was damaged and mostly dead). There is an area of the beach that has a lot of rocks, but those can be avoided by walking down a little way. If you hungry you can find the fantastic La Cabane beach restaurant there.
Przemek K — Google review
Lovely, quiet spot away from the crowds, with restrooms and showers, as well as La Cabane nearby for snacks ($$$). The beach is a free public access, plenty of parking.

Beautiful beach with turquoise waters, white sands and no crowds. You can reach it by turning on the road by the Black Rocks bookstore. There's plenty of parking and it's the perfect spot to enjoy the calm waters.

Located in Christ Church, Barbados, the Globe Drive-In is a popular cinema offering a unique experience. Visitors can drive in with their rental car, purchase snacks at the cinema, and enjoy double feature shows while basking in the exceptional weather. Open from Wednesday to Sunday, this drive-in theater provides a nostalgic and delightful experience for all ages. The venue offers ample space for parking but food prices are slightly high. Despite this, visitors appreciate the good screen quality and size.
Great experience and I like the fact that they deliver food to your car while you watch a film if you order via WhatsApp
Adrian L — Google review
A very unique experience! I would definitely recommend this experience to everyone. Tickets cost 9$ USD per person. They charge per person not per car.
Taha M — Google review
Good for the family, go early and park in the front row, kids can run around sit on benches and enjoy the outdoors. Or even better yet, park the SUV backwards, open the trunk and lay out a bed for the wife and I, for a cozy date night in the back of the car.
Brett C — Google review
Excellent customer service for the food and drinks. The movie screen itself is in need of upgrading as the brightness level is too dark. Other than that It's a great spot for movie night.
Yoyo J — Google review
Road leading to the ticket booth needs paving, ticket sales person very friendly and informative. This drive in has been re-imagine. Large spaces for vehicle parking, the FM sound is great, attendant going around to vehicles to take your food and drink orders, and return them to you pretty cool. Directly in front of the screen are picnic tables, very modern, great place to go with family and friends.
Jeffrey I — Google review
I love going to the drive in. It's such a vintage feel and hearing everybody honk their horns at the exciting parts in the movies is awesome.
Tennille G — Google review
As a frequent visitor to Barbados this was one event I had never got round to doing. Well organized and very easy to set up the sound via your car radio. The man at the entry kiosk was extremely polite as were the 2 attendants in the cold drinks area. Toilets & washroom was also clean. We saw Aladdin on a massive screen. A brilliant evening, a big thank you to all the staff.
Jo J — Google review
There are a number of poles and two cars can usually fit between one set of poles but a lot of people ended up parking badly and taking up more space than needed. The entry price is reasonable but the food prices are a bit expensive. The screen size and quality is also good, providing people don't randomly turn on their lights during the movie. Temperature and sanitisation along with providing contact details were done before entering the main area where you park so I appreciate that. Overall, it was a good experience and I would go back.

This was a fantastic time! Lamar was our guide and he showed us the entire island & was extremely knowledgable about everything...he knew the history of Barbados, everything about the plants, the geology, social events, you name it. We couldn't have asked for a better guide and a better time! Definitely will do it again next time we visit!

We had an amazing tour of Barbados with Andre. Booked thru the Sandals resort. Couldn’t have been better. Andre’s tour was historically informative and fun as he interacted with us. Worth every penny, and would do it again.

310 Barbados dollars, pickup at 8am and on time, you have to be reasonably fit and it's off road in quite a few places so bumpy is the word, all that being said it was fun, Ken our driver guide was fabulous and told us so much about the Island and it's plant life, we saw Green Monkeys and black belly sheep. Amazing views and a good slice of the Island covered. My highlight Bathsheba, stunning. Really good lunch and back at the hotel around 2.45pm. Worth the money, absolutely. I did it solo with three other couples picked up from another hotel, nice group of people and I think everyone enjoyed it.
Ailsa W — Google review
This was the best trip ever! Andre was an amazing tour guide who has so much information to share and a great love and passion for his island! The food for lunch was also amazing and the restaurant staff was amazing! Andre makes you feel like family and answered all of our questions!

Without a doubt, the best thing we did in Barbados. A great way to see the amazing country. We had kentston as our driver and he was excellent. Full of knowledge about barbados. Do not leave the island without experiencing this

My Wife , and I, where down for a quick 5 days in the middle of this October. We had time to do two tours and this was one of them. This tour is a must do if you like to see the rest of Barbados, besides the amazing beaches. Our tour guide, Andre, was very informative, humorous, and an extremely talented 'Off Road ' driver. I own a 4x4 truck myself but wouldn't dream of taking it where he took this ,very capable, Toyota. You really do get to see the heart of this beautiful island, including many Monkeys and Windmills. We finished up with a great Lunch, on the west coast which included the amazing 'Macaroni Pie'. Please make time for this tour and if you're coming from Canada, please bring Andre a bag of Lays Ketchup Chips. He will be extremely grateful!!!
Darren T — Google review
This was such a fun tour. At first I wasn't sure about it but it was the best way to see the Island!! Omar was great! He made the tour very interesting and funny!! And his rum punch was better than the hotel's! The meal was good as well along with the beautiful lunch location! We saw at least 85% of the Island, 7/11 parishes! This is a must do if you're going to Barbados 🇧🇧
Chanda A — Google review
I rarely leave reviews but our tour with Island Safari tours - specifically our tour guide Kenton - deserves 5 stars. We didn't know what to expect and driving around for 3 hours in the back of a truck does not sound that compelling. When you get a super talented guide + a beautiful countryside, it works.

Some guests had issues with the handles on the waterpark equipment but still had a lot of fun there.
Great fun on the water and really nice service, well looked after. Great mixture of lively music, good drink selections and then chilled beach area.

Customer service is top notch quality. Omi, Jamal, Ari, Colletta, Cory, and all of the other staff that I got to interact with have made a genuine difference in my stay. A day at Brandon’s Beach with this staff is highly recommended. Try the fish cakes and a blended mango Margarita.

I never knew there are workers who steal at this beach. Stole my wallet. All my cash gone and my US bank debit card. Also had an EC cash that was put into a zip compactment. You know what? they found it and told me they saw it in the ocean. i never knew the ocean can unzip the inner compact to also take cash in there. Very disappointing. i would warned any tourist to be very careful at this beach. Very terrible!!!!

Beautifully presented bar and beach activities with unpretentious friendly vibe and competitive prices. We loved the water park (truly the biggest and best - children and adults alike will love it) friendly attentive staff and how welcoming the owner was to our friends with special needs - we felt very welcome.

The Parliament Buildings in Bridgetown, Barbados date back to the mid-1800s and are a beautiful example of neo-Gothic architecture. The two buildings which make up Parliament House feature Corinthian columns and ornate woodwork, giving the impression of a miniature version of London. The buildings have served as the meeting place for both chambers of Parliament since 1874, and were once located within Colonial administration of Barbados.

Carlisle Bay is a stunning turquoise bay and marine park that boasts relics like anchors, cannonballs, and a lighthouse dating back to 1885. This natural harbor was historically significant as the first port of call on the trans-Atlantic crossing and played a crucial role in projecting British imperial power in the region.
Beautiful beach, great swimming and snorkeling. You can take a tour for snorkeling (we preferred the tour as we didn't exactly know where the sunken ships and the turtles were... and the tour guides bring some food that attracts stingrays, tarpans and other fish). Also check out Savvy on the Beach (our favorite bar here - great drinks, take credit card and a great spot for watching the sunset).

A stunning bay in a stunning country. The sand is nice amd white, there are plenty of facilities and vendors along the coast line. The sea is crystal clear and great for snorkeling as there are shipwrecks that can be accessed from the shore.

This place is absolutely amazing some people are saying this is Caribbean number one beach. There are many bars and restaurants on this beach with decent prices. You can find trips to swim with turtles and also other trips around the island or taxis to different beaches. The water on this beach it’s very clear and has a beautiful colour. Also if you like water sports you can find many activities on this beach.

WOW effect!! expecially if you love free diving and snorkeling... There are 3 different shipwrecks less than 100m from the beach. You can easily find them looking where are all the people from organized tours. If you are able to take deep breath, take it and enjoy the inside of shipwreck!! there're a lot of in&out passages

Dover Beach, located in the bay of St. Lawrence on the south coast of Barbados, is a popular destination for both locals and tourists. The beach offers transparent waters with buoys for safety, wide sandy shores, and a variety of water sports such as jet skiing, windsurfing, snorkeling with sea turtles, and swimming among colorful tropical fish. Visitors can also relax on sun loungers or watch locals play cricket or Bajan football at the nearby Dover Playing Field.
Beautiful beach close to St. Lawrence gap. Lovely area with a lot of restaurants and pretty safe in general.

Beautiful clean, well kept beach. Sunbeds and umbrellas rented from Kenny each day for $30 barbados with no issues. The water is crystal clean and great for swimming in. If you head long the beach in the later afternoon there's a chance you'll see some turtles a few metres from shore. We swam with them within feet from us twice! We also saw a turtle nest hatching and the babies heading to the water before Barbados Turtle Protection came out. Lots of bars and cafes near by for food.

Love it! Chairs & umbrellas are readily available for $30 BBD ($10/chair for two +10 for umbrella). There is a small park with swings & slides and a half dozen shops & restaurants. Pink sand and no one hassling you.

Went in August when it was nice and quiet. Lovely beach and shallow enough but can still make a few laps without touching the bottom. Charles is great! We rented our two lounge chairs and umbrella from him for a decent price. $30 BBDS. Lots of apartments around and the playing field and boutiques and eats are nearby too. St. Lawrence Gap is just a street away.

We got delicious pork bites at Patty's Cafe; she was super friendly. You can rent chairs on the beach and bring your own food and drinks. The water was a bit rough with too many waves, but otherwise very beautiful. It does get very crowded, though, as there are several hotels on the beach.
Goddess — Google review
I know it’s not the beaches fault but when the waves are big you won’t be able to see the turtles as the visibility is super low. Also there is loads of seaweed which is a bit annoying when you are swimming close to shore

Nice beach with near restaurants. Also really great that you can do auqatic activities (kayak, paddle, surf, snorkeling, etc.) for a really good price at Charles Watersports! Had a great time. I ate to Daddy's and it was really good. Cheaper than the places around.

The Boatyard Beach Club in Barbados is a vibrant beachfront destination offering a range of activities and amenities for visitors of all ages. With its restaurant, bar, sun loungers, beach umbrellas, inflatable water slides and trampolines in the sea, rope swing, and reliable wifi, it's an ideal spot for a relaxed day by the ocean.
Lovely beach and snorkeling was an experience although no turtles were seen. Plenty of beautiful fish though. Food and drinks on the pricey side but only like everywhere in Barbados. We keep forgetting that Taxes etc are added on to the prices which doesn't help. The coconut shrimps though, they were to die for they were so big and delicious, well worth trying those. On the whole this place was worth the money and a lovely safe environment to sunbathe and swim.

Located on Bay Street, Bridgetown, The Boatyard is the ideal spot for calm waters, white sandy beaches, great food and drinks, along with activities for both kids and adults. If you are staying on the south coast, it is a straightforward drive along the coast to Bridgetown, St. Michael. It is also in close proximity to the cruise ship port making it a great spot to spend a few hours when your ship is docked. The entrance fee includes credit towards food and drinks up to a specific amount. The amenities and activities include snorkeling and rope swings but if you would rather relax, they are plenty of chairs and umbrellas available. This wasn't our first time to the Boatyard and I must say that they have definitely stepped their game up with lunch. Everything that we ordered was 5 star quality. I truly do not think that you can find better fishcakes on the island. You will also have to pay close attention to the signs on the walls - you might just giggle at some of them. Overall it was a great experience and will definitely return on our next trip to Barbados. PROS - Beautiful beaches - Great food selection and quality - Great drinks - Good value for money - Wide range of activities included in entrance fee - Short distance from the cruise ship port CONS - Parking can be dicey depending on the time of day - You may have to wait up to 45 minutes for food depending on the time of day

This is a really nice place. Delicious cocktails, affordable prices, and breathtaking water. The Boatyard Day Pass includes return tokens that you can spend at the bar and restaurant, along with beach chairs and umbrellas, a 45-minute snorkeling tour, and equipment.

The mango daiquiri was so good. I could taste it in my mind long after . My food was great too. Beautiful atmosphere. The money remaining on the ticket can’t buy you a proper meal. They should probably remove that 🤷🏽‍♀️. Loved the place though.

Great time at the boatyard. Spent the entire day with my family of 7 here. Looks like prices went up in the last few months. Atmosphere was great, friendly staff, food was pretty good, drinks were delicious. The kids had a great snorkel adventure and loved the 2 bounce trampolines. Bathrooms were clean I was on crutches and didn’t have any issues getting around.
James F — Google review
The Boatyard really worked for us. We found it to be the most organised of the beach clubs we attended. They have towels to rent which we found useful. Great that the boat trip is available and included. Amazing to see the fish and the wreck. Deals on beer at the bar. Good restaurant with nice seating to get away from the sun if you want it. Good toilet facilities that were always being cleaned. Friendly staff and really enjoyed our day here
David V — Google review
We went here recently after a holiday to Barbados. We went to Pebble beach at around 6 am to watch the race horses being bathed in the water and then went into Bridgetown to explore the city. Following this we went to the boatyard at around 9:30 am. For 70 Barbadian Dollars per person (around 30 GBP) we thought the price was very worthwhile considering you get 40 Barbadian dollars per person on a card to spend on food and drinks + a trip snorkelling at the shipwrecks in Carlisle Bay. the Bathrooms weren’t the best. In the men’s there was one cubicle and 2 urinals. However you don’t spend much time in them so it’s not an issue. The beach is absolutely beautiful and there were plenty of sun loungers available for all guests. The Snorkelling trip was just incredible. We went about 20-30 mins in the water looking at the fish and the wreck. 2 stingrays and a tarpon showed themselves briefly. Once we got onto the boat a turtle came right up to the guide who was still in the water at the time. The food was absolutely incredible. Coconut shrimp especially was to die for. We had such a great time there we went there twice!
Callum M — Google review
We were walking along the beach, looking for a place to stop for a drink and some food, and this beach club was the last one in the bay, looking like the best option. When we tried to enter from the beach side, we were stopped by staff. We explained that we wanted to come in to eat and drink. To our surprise, the employees refused entry and immediately became aggressive, calling us "dishonest." We were completely confused and repeatedly asked for an explanation, but they only mentioned something about a "band" without elaborating. When we asked how we could enter, their only response was to rudely tell us to go to another restaurant. Only back at our hotel with internet access did we manage to find out that there is apparently an entrance fee to be paid on the street side. What a shame. We would have been happy to pay the fee and enjoy the place, but nobody explained the rules to us. Instead, the staff’s aggressive and frightening behavior ruined the experience. Management needs to train their staff on proper communication and customer service. There is no excuse for calling guests "dishonest" and being aggressive simply for not knowing an uncommunicated entry policy.

Harbour Lights Barbados, located 2km southeast of Bridgetown, is a popular spot for dancing and socializing. The modern seafront building features an oceanfront patio where guests can cool off while enjoying recorded reggae and soca music until the wee hours. On Monday nights, they host a Beach Party with transportation, buffet, drinks, live band, and themed entertainment. The venue also offers the Harbour Lights Dinner Show with live Caribbean bands and Bajan BBQ dinners on select nights.
This was definitely worth the price! Very entertaining, great food and the manager was an absolute gem. Great Staff!!! Very attentive and knowledgeable. The dancers, amazing. This was our first night in Barbados and we are so happy we decided to attend this show. The rum punches will give you a good punch after a few. Tourists all dressed decently. I wish this wasn’t only on Wednesdays and Thursday but everyday

From start to finish the Harbor Lights Show delivered with customer service, entertainment, welcoming atmosphere, and great food! If requested, they can provide transportation from your hotel or villa. Our transportation was on time and the driver was very courteous. Upon entering the venue you are greeted with your first rum punch followed by a souvenirs vender with some reasonably priced goods. Then you are greeted and seated. All drinks, food, beverages are included. Tips are welcome and I would say well deserved. Before the show begins, you can get drinks or some appetizers. The show will provide a few great acts before dinner. I forgot to mention, as you enter, you are asked what kind of meal you would like (jerked chicken, steak, shrimp, fish) and receive a ticket. Mid show you have dinner which was delicious and little after dinner dessert is available. The food was cooked and seasoned well and the drinks were not watered down! The show was a combination of history, a little carnival vibe, that later turned into a party. I am glad we made this choice. I would recommend to anyone!

Harbour lights was a fantastic beach club on boatyard beach. Only a 10 min taxi from the cruise port for $5, the beach club was $35pp for sunbed, umbrella and a snorkeling boat trip to the shipwrecks and to swim with turtles. It was worth the entry fee for the snorkeling trip alone. Sunbed service for drinks and food. The food was really good. Highly recommended for a great day in Barbados

The show was amazing. I had so much fun dancing and singing along. The dancers were very professional and entertaining. The band sounded good and kept the audience engaged. I highly recommend attending. There was plenty of food to choose from but it could have been more flavorful. Dessert was simple but delicious. The ice cream helped cool me off from all the dancing I was doing in my seat. The event ends with a full on dance party. So much fun!! Tip: Guests are asked to arrive at 7. They check you in, give you a welcome drink (rum punch 🥳) and show you to your seat. There are appetizers to enjoy prior to the start of the show around 740. Dinner isn't served until 830. Be prepared to eat late.

Best experience in Barbados for entertainment. Great entertainment showcasing Barbados rich culture and history. The variety of dancing was amazing. I love how much the performers interacted with the guests which adds more memorable moments. The food was absolutely amazing, fresh and my steak was cooked to perfection. Unlimited drinks were very good and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I would do this again on my next visit. I highly recommend Harbour Lights for the entire family.

Fabulous night at the dinner show. Food was very good and served efficiently given the amount of people there. Pre dinner appetisers were welcome to have with your welcome rum punch. Drinks were good too, best pina colada I’ve had all holiday and the rum and tonic was a good measure. Just be mindful that some cocktails are not part of the package but can be purchased for 12 USD. Entertainment was very good, and there is a real party atmosphere. I would definitely recommend an evening out at Harbour Lights.

We were on a cruise and Barbados was one of the ports. We wanted to go to a local beach and found Harbour Lights Beach Club while searching online. Made reservations for a front row reserved seat that included two lounge chairs and umbrella. Paid just a bit more to include turtle snorkeling. We took a taxi from the pier for 5.00. We arrived at Harbour Lights and checked in. It’s a nice beach club with great drink service on the beach. Derek took care of us and provided great service. There was never much of a wait getting our drinks. The beach club has restrooms and showers. The turtle snorkeling was good. We saw colorful fish, a couple stingrays and turtles. Highly recommend. Would definitely return next time we’re in Barbados.

You can rent chairs at the tiki bar. You'll then receive a refund to spend in the restaurant or bar. The food is very reasonable, as are the drinks. The water is nice and warm, though there are lots of rocks at the bottom and it's not very deep. To go deeper, you have to go further inland.

This is a lovely beach, the waves are a little boisterous, not rough just not easy. But from here you can walk along the beach for quite a while. Before an outlet breaks the beach and you have to turn back. So very good for swimming, great for a relaxing walk on the beach. It is easy to get there, it is usually populated but was never crowded. This is a chill quiet, of touristy beach.

Nestled on the outskirts of Bridgetown, Copacabana Beach Club is a vibrant destination that promises an unforgettable experience for those who love fun and music. This lively beach bar and nightclub boasts a fantastic atmosphere with amenities like beach chairs, bars, and shower facilities. Guests can indulge in delicious food from a celebrated local chef while enjoying outdoor dining right by the calm waters of Carlisle Bay. The club is perfect for families and offers excellent snorkeling opportunities nearby.
Beautiful Beach Club with great staff – but tour operator (the Crane Resort) let us down We had a lovely day at Copacabana Beach Club and would definitely recommend it to others visiting Barbados. The bar staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the iced coffee was perfect for cooling down on a sunny beach day. The facilities were clean and well-maintained. The air-conditioned restrooms and changing rooms were a pleasant surprise, even offering sunscreen for guests who may have forgotten theirs – a thoughtful touch! The beach itself is stunning, with soft white sand and crystal-clear turquoise water – exactly what you dream of when coming to the Caribbean. Unfortunately, our visit was part of a group tour from The Crane Hotel, and the return trip didn’t go as planned. The organizer told us to meet front of the Club at 3 PM. We were there a 3 minutes before, but the bus had already left – without 4 of us. When we asked the Crane Hotel staff for help contacting the driver or hotel, they refused and told us to take a taxi back at our own expense (about $50 USD). They took no responsibility, which was very disappointing. We wasted an hour of our time trying to organize the return. Luckily, the Copacabana team stepped in and helped us out. Although the receptionist initially threw up her hands, saying there was nothing more she could do, once we insisted it wasn’t our fault and that we expected a better solution, the manager came over – and she was the one who actually helped. She organized a ride back to our hotel, and we’re especially grateful to Rico, who kindly drove us himself. Huge thanks to him and the other manager for their professionalism and support! A couple of things to keep in mind: the food prices are on the higher side – for example, we paid $36 for just four small shrimps. Also, although it’s a private section of the beach, there were a few vendors approaching guests with offers for tours or jewelry. It didn’t ruin the experience, but could be annoying for some people expecting total privacy. Overall, it was a nice experience at Copacabana Beach Club. Just make sure to double-check your transport if you’re coming as part of a group tour!

We had to go try this place to see if it was worth it the attention was given. So for 30$ you get an umbrella and a place to sit. In this is a $25 food voucher. The first row by the front beach was open but we were placed in the end, when l asked we were told it was occupied even tho no one was there. By 3.30pm they start picking up chairs and umbrellas basically kicking us out. Still the front row was still empty. Food not much choice and very greasy 😞. Fries soaked in oil. See picture. Drink mixed nicely. This place is more for the quick sit down for people that arrive from cruisers that don't need much. A few blocks away was another place with a similar offer but much better organized.

My 'premium' experience was a complete disaster from start to finish. It began with bad customer service at reception, setting a poor tone for the day. Despite paying for premium, I then endured an unacceptable wait of over an hour while other customers, who appeared to be white, were consistently prioritized. The issues continued on the beach: I had to argue with the beach attendant just to get my chairs set up. To make matters worse, he then proceeded to assist other white individuals before completing my setup. This pattern of service, where I felt overlooked and deprioritized based on race, is deeply concerning and frankly, not cool. To top it all off, there was no coffee available at 10:30 AM, and still none by 11:30 AM, forcing me to leave the premises just to get a basic drink. This entire experience fell far short of premium and was incredibly disappointing

A Perfect Beach Day at Copacabana – Barbados Bliss! We had an amazing time at Copacabana Beach Club in Barbados! The beach was absolutely stunning — crystal-clear waters, soft sand, and vibrant blue skies on a beautiful sunny day. We even spotted turtles swimming nearby, which was such a magical touch. We paid $60 BBD for the premium beachfront oasis, which included comfy lounge chairs, umbrellas, showers, bathrooms, and towels — totally worth it! Food wasn’t included, but they offer food voucher packages, and we loved sampling the delicious local dishes from nearby food trucks. The refreshing coconuts were a highlight — sweet, ice-cold, and perfect for the heat. The vibes were amazing, and we even made a few new friends while hanging with the friendly locals. Truly an unforgettable beach day!

Maxwell Beach is a popular public coral-sand beach located near Oistins on the south coast of Barbados. It offers visitors a picturesque setting with white coral sand and clear turquoise waters, along with amenities such as picnic benches, sun loungers, and small Hobie cat sailboats for rent. The beach provides opportunities for various water sports including jet skis, scuba diving, snorkeling, boogie boarding, and sailing.
Maxwell Beach is a hidden gem with lively waves, making it a great spot for those who enjoy a more dynamic ocean experience. While there’s a breaker wall near the Sandals resort, the water can still be rough, so it’s best suited for confident swimmers. The beach isn’t heavily populated, offering a more peaceful vibe. Graeme Hall Wildlife Sanctuary in Barbados is a stunning nature reserve that boasts some of the island's last remaining undeveloped wetlands. The sanctuary is home to a diverse range of wildlife, including various bird species and mangroves such as red and white mangroves. Visitors can explore the area via a boardwalk and observe the local flora and fauna, making it an ideal destination for nature enthusiasts. Although currently closed, efforts are being made to reinstate this important natural space.
OMG what a fabulous day! So beautifully designed with accessible pathways through mangroves and palms and incredible foliage sheltering birds and turtles and so much of what nature has to offer if we're willing to stop, be patient, watch and listen. The bird sanctuaries offered wild birds and tranquility, migratory and rescued and others, interactive and engaging. Saw iguanas and so many reptiles, all housed in pristinely clean and cared for sanctuary. The staff? Incredible! Welcoming, engaging, helpful and fun! Learned so much from Damian standing watch with the reptiles Robert, filled with evident passion in the migratory bird zone as well as from Annika and Nakila (forgive me if I got it wrong) in the Gully Aviary (so funny and knowledgeable - clearly love what they do) where I had birds eating from my hands and off my head 🤣 to Ryan in the tranquil wildlife haven which was exactly that, a breath of tranquil, fresh air. We even had Tony DaSilva, owner and protector of the trust who called us back to show us an Osprey perched gracefully across the lake and his love and passion for what he envisioned was so clear in the pride he exhibited; such a lovely man! The ladies at the ticket booth, staff along the paths, everywhere! Thank you. Words can not express my joy and I cannot recommend this enough as a perfect, peaceful, learning and enjoyable experience ! GO! You will not regret it!

Absolute must visit on your next visit to Barbados!!! The reinvigorated Sanctuary has brought fresh life to what was" just a swamp" before, is now a guardian of our natural heritage as an island in the tropics, the free flow trail through this wetland is perfect for nature lovers and children to interact with wildlife, while learning more about their environment! The new Aviary experience gives people the perfect opportunity to interact directly with birds usually seen in cages in zoos across the world, but being able to touch, feed and see up close our feathered friends is amazing!!

Well worth a visit. The birds are the star of the show here. The migratory bird area where they keep unreleasable rescued migratory birds is very cool; you get to see lots of different species of native migratory shorebirds from close by. The two huge aviaries full of parrots and other flamboyant tropical birds from around the world are truly amazing. The space is large enough and rich enough that the birds can fly around and display natural behaviors, but they'll also come right up to you, eat out of your hand, or perch on your hat (or try to steal your sunglasses, in the case of one blue and gold macaw who took a fancy to my girlfriend). The chance to see one of the last pockets of mangrove wetlands left in Barbados is also really cool.

Hidden gem but not for long. Well worth the price for the tourists. You can walk along the trails , enjoy the scenery and learn about the history of this place and then you can feed the birds or fish. Cute little birds , interacting with humans. Staff is knowledgable and polite.

Went here with my VBS from Chrsit The King Church. The aunty's and the children definitely enjoyed it here. On a day that was to have rain pouring, the Lord held it up for us to do this tour beginning to end. How good is our God who also gave us a lovely time start to end. Beautiful gardens and aurora, magnificent birds, parrots, ducks, snakes..and the monkeys...man were they huge. The Cafe here is the cutest. Friendly staff, great atmosphere and beautiful animals. We'll definitely come again. From Christ The King Church we thank you for havint us. Blessings.

I went to what was Graeme Hall Swamp over 40 years ago - when it was just the swamp. To see it now as Graeme Hall Nature Santury is mind blowing. What a transformation. It is a great place to visit. I recommend it highly.

Wonderful family experience, feeding the fish and the birds was a highlight. Beautifully restored. Small cafe serving mostly smoothies at the end of the walk, which you can access without a paid ticket. Buy the animal and fish food combo!

If you're seeking a thrilling day out in Barbados, look no further than Rascals of Barbados, an exhilarating waterpark located in Bridgetown. As the Caribbean's largest floating aqua park, it promises endless fun with its impressive array of slides and obstacles that challenge visitors to bounce their way through. Over the past five years, this attraction has expanded significantly and now ranks among the largest aqua parks globally.
We were very lucky to come across Rascals as we had our 4 young kids on the beach. Amazingly supportive with them on the water park, inviting to all of us in the restaurant and nothing was a hassle. Food was ideal too, calamari 👌 This is what Barbados is about, welcoming and supportive. Kids loved the free Jubilee! Thanks to the team for helping create memories.

Nice funky & cool place on the beach. Quick service, good food and drinks. Great location to easily spend the day eating &/or drinking.

One of my favorite beaches in Barbados. 🇧🇧 The water is calm and perfect for relaxing and swimming. I’ll recommend having a car to drive there. The food and drink options are affordable and sets the vibe. I can’t wait to go back! :)

I’ve been being an owner on Barbados of a house and coming here for 30 years and being a regular at Rascals Beach bar Of at least two or three times a week. Where usually we have a good laugh and great banter with depending visitors and staff particularly the beach amazing. However, I find myself very distressed by a member of your staff whom decided after I had had my flag up on my beach for over 40 minutes to serve the people behind me and to the left of me. No problem this is Barbados. However, Within encountered an experience, which is and was not about making. The sunbed guy who we call Beachmaster was a witness to an horrific experience And so many other on the bench Trevin (If I spelt that incorrectly, I apologise). Whom after four attempts, I asked him, had changed his glasses, Which was a joke. He went absolutely mad through down the food menu Said he wasn’t going to serve us at all. He then stated he was getting the bill to my partner. Even though we paid for some beds all day and came back with the bill He then went and said, are you not going to pay? my partner said I will pay it at the desk In the bar. He’s too busy after telling us a few weeks ago that he got a young child to remember in chasing my young ladies, tips which he has stated to us previously, he does not get and neither do the other staff. I have to say our experience today is not necessarily what we usually experience having going there two or three times a week But for the moment we will be leaving Rascals well alone and this man needs to be watched and investigated When we went up to the bar, he rushed up to my partner to make sure that we didn’t say anything. So for wants I’m standing up for myself and I’m putting in writing Also, I realised that you have a lot of cruises visit your beach, which was who we were serving, although I have no objection to this and I don’t mind I do find that it’s absolutely disgusting behaviour. Shame on him. My partner is diabetic and we had to leave the beach for food

Damien on the beach is the best! He was so helpful and friendly. Jamal was awesome too! The boys that take out the boat and take you on the water park were too fun and funny! The food and staff were awesome. We had a great day at rascals!!!!

What a place! The staff are incredible, big shout out to Dwayne for helping our daughter (5yrs old) on the course (you were brilliant). The owners are genuine and have created a space that’s enjoyable for all! The vibes are immaculate. A trip to rascals is an absolute must on your stay in Barbados.

Fast food restaurant
Chefette is a local fast food chain found all around Barbados. The clean premises and friendly staff are a great way to get your quick bite on the island. Some of their most popular dishes include roti, pizzas, and burgers. Depending on what you order, you may have to wait a little bit for your food but it's generally worth it. Parking can be a little tricky but there's usually some nearby.
MEAL: I had the beef and potato roti it was good! Perfect portion, hot and fresh. The fried chicken smelled good I had to try the kids meal; the fries were crinkle cut and good, the chicken was super hot with heat not overly spicy, crispy, fresh and tasty! Well seasoned and very yummy!!! I wanted 2 more pieces but didn't want to be greedy! DESSERT: The rum and raisins ice cream in the waffle cone was sooooo delicious! The ice cream was made with authentic Mont Guay rum in it, the raisons were soft and plump and it was so flavourful. The cone was made in-house, crunchy and wow!!!
Colleen A — Google review
Chefette Fontabelle is a quick and affordable option, but it's nothing special. It's very much like a McDonald's experience—fast food that gets the job done when you're in a hurry or on a budget. The food is basic but decent, and the service is quick. It's a good spot if you're looking for a no-fuss meal, but don’t expect anything extraordinary. While the convenience and affordability are a plus, the overall experience felt more like a typical fast-food stop rather than something memorable. If you're craving something familiar and fast, it’s a fine choice, but if you're looking for a unique dining experience, you might want to look elsewhere.

I went to Chefette Speightstown location last night, around 9:00 PM, August 26, 2025 and used the drive thru. The person who took our order was Keishan (677). Part of the order was ice cream. I ordered 1 scoop of chocolate in a cup, 2 orders of 1 scoop of rum and raisin in cup, and 1 order of 1 scoop of vanilla in a cup. When we got the order, it came with the 1 sccop of chocolate in a cup and the 2 scoops of rum and raisin and vanilla together in 1 cup. I immediately told the woman who took the order that the order was not correct. She got frustrated and told us to move óver to the side and someone would come out to sort out the order. Ten minutes later, a server brought out the rest of the order and when we asked about the person who would deal with the ice cream, the server said she only bring the food and someone would come out. I went into the restaurant and then went to the counter to ask for the ice creams the way I ordered them. The lady from the drive thru (Keishan)was rude and argumentative and would not change the order. She asked me what I wanted her to do. I told her I wanted the icream in three different cups. She said I would have the pay $2.00 for two cups which I paid. She gave two cups and walked away. She did not give new ice cream which had now melted into a milkshake. When my family and I come to Barbados, we always go to Chefette for food. Sometimes once a day. This experience soured my experience of Chefette. This lady Keishan should not be working the Drive thru or counter of Chefette or any other restaurant in Barbados or any other place in the world because she is not good for business.

Spent the last 3 days in Barbados hearing Chefette as the local fast food joint to visit.. We basically ordered 1 of each item on the menu for a taste test... The Thrift box of 9 piece chicken was soggy not crispy.. Bland to taste and unexciting.. We kept thinking that we should've went to KFC instead while trying this chicken 👎 The chicken wings was the same as the chicken. Soggy with the same bland seasoning.. Fries soggy and disappointingly terrible. Kids chicken nuggets.. 👎 Cheese pizza 👎 And of course the Roti.. We got one all chicken and another chicken and potatoes.. Both was thrown out after a few bites.. The ice cream was actually good 👍
Tai D — Google review
Been to Barbados many times but this is the first time I actually tried it and man was it good!!! Had the 9 piece fried chicken the place was really busy though and waited in line for half an hour just to order then another 20 min to get my food! But man was it worth it! Because the place was so busy the chicken was straight out of the fryer and really hot and juicy! A bit pricy though for fried chicken but worth it I guess, nice clean restaurant too

We ordered 2 shakes and they told us to pull to the left, 3 cars came up after and all of them got their orders + their milk shakes, I don’t know what useless training these people get to give people who ordered after us their food, but they need better training.

Large outlet of this popular local fast food restaurant. Never really busy and a real life saver during crop over celebrations where it pretty much stays open all night.

Delicious as usual, but the drive through line was way too slow. This is a convenient location, but many people came and left due to the waiting time. We had the Chicken Tender special offer which came with a drink and dinner roll, plus ketchup and a special sauce. This was quite filling, and at a reduced cost at the moment.

First time watching polo. It was a lot of fun. There's a bar and light food like sandwiches, banana bread, samosas, etc.. for sale. Some folks are dressed up. Most are casually dressed. There are lawn chairs to sit in and some folks are sitting in their SUV or truck tailgate.

Lot if fun but fewer Bajans came by to have a good time. Used to be when Barbadians from every strata would watch a chukka finale. The current economy sliced a huge chunk of sponsorship, no idea what their management is doing to fill the gap? Expert commentary from Jonathan Simpson whose humor would make Richard Pryor blush yet nary a bad word? A grand old time had by all! Especially when Alan Sheppard and his Red Piano boogies for patrons!

Good fun to watch Canada play Barbados at Polo, with Canada pulling off a last second victory. A decent crowd to cheer on the teams and a lovely evening with drinks and food available to purchase. You don't have to dress up super smart but nice if you make an effort.. It's a mix of smarter and casual. Ducks are obtained by buying a ticket and presenting it at the bar, which is a little strange and slows the process down quite a bit. For sure worth the $20 entrance fee.

Tiami Catamaran Cruises is a local tour operator that offers serene catamaran excursions with opportunities for snorkeling, swimming, and delicious meals. The catamaran is anchored in a protected bay just a few meters from the shore, providing easy access to the beach and the island's windward side where the reef is located. The company prides itself on its friendly staff, experienced crew, delectable dishes, and well-stocked bars.
We chartered a Tiami catamaran for a private cruise during our destination wedding in Barbados, and it was truly one of the highlights of the entire trip. The experience was incredible from start to finish. The staff were not only professional and organized, but also so friendly and fun. They helped create the perfect atmosphere for celebration. The boat itself was beautiful and had plenty of space for all 32 of our guests to relax, dance, and soak in the stunning views. Whether we were sailing, snorkeling, or just enjoying the breeze with a drink in hand, everything felt effortless and well-run. If you’re considering doing something special in Barbados, especially for a group or wedding event, I can’t recommend Tiami highly enough. Thank you for helping make our wedding week unforgettable!

We had a wonderful time on your sunset catamaran Cruise last week! It was super cool snorkeling above a shipwreck with fish and sea turtles all around. It was probably my favorite part of our whole trip! The dinner buffet was tasty, the music was pumping and the drinks were flowing. Everyone on the trip was having a wonderful time. Watching the sun go down in the distance, getting a little sightseeing in along the coastline and the crew were fantastic. It was one of the best decisions we made for an excursion on our trip. I would certainly recommend everyone to either do the daytime trip, but especially the sunset cruise.
Beth D — Google review
Great time in this cruise! Your staff is remarkable and extremely entertaining. They did a great job with everything from the snorkeling to the delicious lunch. Unfortunately the ocean was too rough for one snorkel stop and the shipwreck and although we were disappointed, we still had a great time. We didn’t see any turtles until the end of the cruise when they went after the lettuce from the salad! We got a great video of Mr Turtle coming up and eating!

My best friend and I had a wonderful time on Tiami last Wednesday. Everyone was so helpful and kind and really made you feel welcomed. Snorkelling was amazing and seeing all of the beautiful fish above the Bajan Queen was a memory I will never forget. We didn’t see too many turtles but just swimming in the turquoise waters was pleasure enough. It was fun sailing to the west coast and, again, swimming in the open, blue waters is such a fantastic feeling. Lunch was delicious and the drinks were flowing. By the time we got back to port, everyone knew each-other’s name and had made plans for the following evening. So much fun. Thank you to everyone.

Absolutely the best day we spent in Barbados! The weather was perfect, the food excellent, the crew were great. The music and The Entertainer, Mr. Shaquan Ward started the best dance party ever! The only problem was it ended too soon; instead of five hours it should be 8!

Very nice experience , all the staff was great and good at entertaining, they always check on you and really take care of you during the excursion. I would especially like to mention Zari ( not sure if the spelling is right, he even told me but I forgot 😂 ) was so helpful with my kids by helping them swimming to the fish/turtle point . Shame we could only see one , but that’s not their fault , I guess is just luck and everyday can be a different scenario under the sea . We had a lovely lunch and plenty of drinks on the catamaran followed by a good dance all together. I would definitely recommend it , these kind of experiences are great even for family with young kids ( we are a family with 5 and 7 years old children ) and great for meeting new people . Lay back and enjoy the Caribbean vibe with this amazing experience!

Queen's Park in Bridgetown, Barbados is a national park featuring beautiful gardens, a children's playground, and a sports/events field. It is home to one of the island's two immense baobab trees, brought from Guinea, West Africa around 1738. The tree has a girth of over 60 feet and is a must-see sight in the park.
Loved Queens park especially since it was Christmas morning and folks came out to display their outfits, which showed vibrant colors and styles that captivated the eye. The park was well maintained. I especially appreciated the informational columns that displayed facts on each Parish. Overall it was an amazing experience.

I've been coming to Queen's Park for decades, it's a park where lots of cultural outdoor activities and national events takes place annually along with an art gallery and museum inside. The Park has well spread out grounds with room for tents, an entertainment stage and an on-site pavilion along with a cricket playing field and kids play area. Having a North and South gate...the park acts as a short cut for pedestrians to get from one side to the other without having to use the busy street outside which has no sidewalks. The park is well maintained with good upkeep of grounds with a nice fountain display into the shape of Barbados and it's parish pedestals signage, just as you would see it on a map. Barbados's oldest tree can be found here with another less aged one in Warrens which I reviewed previously. I recently attended a Father's day event which was quite nice and fun filled for the whole family with games and activities centered around honouring Fathers...a good visit when traversing through the city with nice benches to relax.

The "Central Park" of Barbados. Except, you can still drive your car into this park - and park it!!! Perfectly located to allow for anything you're doing in downtown Bridgetown and want to just relax in some green space. Grab lunch and find a place to sit down. More locals than tourists - so it must be good! It really is a great space to enjoy on its own and appreciate some history.

Barbados Blue Water Sports is a must-visit for those wanting to explore the underwater world of Barbados. One of their popular dive sites is the Stavronikita Shipwreck, which has become a vibrant habitat for marine life such as barracudas, mackerels, and turtles. The company offers daily dive trips and a range of PADI scuba diving classes with medically trained staff who prioritize ecological awareness.
Fantastic Experience! of 'Discover Scuba'! This was my first time diving ever, and it went really smoothly! First we had to study the skills and take a short quiz. Then there was practice in the hotel pool which was perfect, it got me comfortable, and the diving guy made sure we were clear on all the skills. Then we went out in the open water to dive. I was lucky to be the only one on this tour (several others were experienced and booked other tours and came on our boat) and so I had a dedicated diving master, Nicole, with me the entire time. She was wonderful! I saw a turtle feeding, a huge ray, and many wonderful colored fish. Worth it to get out of my comfort zone for this experience! Thanks Nicole and everyone at Barbados Blue!!

We had a great time with Barbados Blue! We set up the dive 2 days before hand and the staff couldn't any friendlier and informative! They have several different packages so just talk with them and they will set you right up!

Had an amazing first-time scuba diving experience with Barbados Blue Water Sports! I booked the PADI Discover Scuba session as I was an absolute novice, which started with a morning training session in the pool to get familiar with the gear and all the safety essentials. The plan was to head out to Carlisle Bay in the afternoon to dive among the shipwrecks, but unfortunately, the weather wasn’t on our side. Our instructor, Jay, was fantastic—super knowledgeable, patient, and reassuring. After assessing the conditions, he advised us not to go out that afternoon due to poor visibility, which I really appreciated because it showed how much they prioritize safety and making sure we have the best possible experience. The team was incredibly flexible and rescheduled our dive for a few days later when the weather improved—at no extra cost! When we finally got to do the dive, it was absolutely stunning—exploring the shipwrecks and seeing all the marine life up close was an unforgettable experience. I felt completely safe and comfortable the entire time thanks to Jay’s guidance. Highly recommend Barbados Blue Water Sports to anyone looking to try scuba diving—top-notch team, excellent instruction, and an unforgettable adventure! 🤿🐠🌊

Logan & Johnny were the two instructors I had & I can not thank them enough for their patience and professionalism throughout the entire process. The crew made the entire process a lot of fun plus got to explore shipwrecks & coral reefs. Also thank you to the lady working the front desk for holding the boat as I was running late due to traffic on the island. Truly a wonderful experience and very happy with my decision to choose Barbados blue water sports.

I booked a 10dive package with them. (+1 night, last min decision); The dive center is well equipped, clean and strategic positioned; The diving team is top. Professional and funny, they have great knowledge of the area. Usually each site comes with a story, or how J says(the man known for many names)... they just like to sink things.)); Dive sites are good to excellent, whatever you like, reef or wreck, drift... See life as shown in their brochure, lovely! If I recommend? 100%. Until we meet again, big thank you to the entire diving team! Johnny

Great team. Dove with Shadane, Mia and Jason on the SS Stavronikita on Sunday. Really enjoyable dives, felt looked after and a really nice bunch of people - boat is beautiful too (excellent driving shadane!) There were a mix of experience levels from beginners to advanced divers and everyone was catered for really well. - it’s a deep wreck so was great that, as an advanced cert we got to go down and explore it. Second dive was a really nice reef. Thanks guys, appreciate you all making it such a great trip

We did a one tank dive (with free refresher) and guided snorkel in Carlisle Bay. Excellent set up with good equipment, easy booking and good communication. The dive was exceptional with abundant sea life including turtles, seahorses and loads of fish. Stunning! Shout out to Selina and Becky who were great. Only reason for 4* is that during the briefing on the boat before the dive, some of the team were taking the piss out of the dive master who was doing his best. It was not very professional!

Amazing day. At the first snorkeling spot we were looking at the shiprecks and a turtle showed up, such an amazing experience. Lots of fish too. The second snorkeling spot wasn't as clear but still stuff to see. Lunch was delicious and we got to have a splash in the sea afterwards too. Staff were all so helpful and upbeat, never left you without a drink in hand. Plenty of space on the boat, it wasn't over filled with passengers.

They were also entertaining and spent time chatting with the guests . There was lots of time at each stop, and they provided a guided snorkeling tour. Drinks and lunch were included. Lunch was delicious! It was a full meal of chicken, rice, mac and cheese, salad, and bread and was very tasty. The catamaran felt spacious and did not feel overcrowded. We were able to see a few small turtles, and the shipwreck was pretty cool. I would highly recommend it!

We had lots of drinks and quality food, very tasty food! If I’m ever back to Barbados I will be definitely coming back to this day trip! Also we saw turtles!! (Just one minor thing pls don’t pick up sea stars from the bottom to make dumb tourists happy)

Barbados Cruising Club is located at Pebbles Beach, between the Radisson and Hilton, making it one of the best beaches on the island. It offers surfing lessons through Paddle Barbados, which operates with the club. The instructor is friendly and accommodating, suitable for beginners. However, non-members need to be aware that they require membership to use chairs and boards. The beach has clear shallow waters and is known for bringing racehorses for bathing in the early morning.
Nice spot but you need to be a member to use their chairs and boards. Located at Pebbles Beach between the Radisson and Hilton, it’s one of the best beaches on the island. This is where they bring the race horses for bathing early morning. Shallow water that is the clearest on the island. Food is ok but a bit pricey. Most people go to Cruz’s stand in the parking lot for a fish and cheese cutter.

On one of the nicest beaches on the island. Service, when you can get it, is very good. Friendly beach attendants, and excellent facilities. Toilet could be more clean and toilet seat could be fixed. Happy hour from 5-7pm is limited but good value.

Came to the beach here and had set my bags down on a table to take a dip then grab a drink. Before I could take 2 steps a white man came up to me extremely rudely and told me the table was for patrons only, before even asking if I’d be purchasing a drink, which I would have if I was approached with any kind of class or consideration. The man was bald, not Bajan, and then proceeded to call me classless. The absolute audacity of the people here is disgusting as someone who is a tourist. As I collected my things from the table the man continued to say nasty things to me. Don’t come here unless you want to be verbally assaulted. Absolutely disgusting customer service for a tourist.

A great place to spend the day. Friendly people. Beautiful beach. The kids were able to take sailing lessons and had a great time. We have family who are members so we were able to enjoy the club 3 days on our visit. The cruising club is a nice place to spend the day relaxing.

Had the fish cutter - great as always. Service slow, had to remind wait staff of order. Location is also great with a nice view of the sea. The only problem is the staff hate their customers, and they love to show it - like Phoebe’s sister when she waits on people.

Popped in for the final sunset. And ordered a coupe drinks. Staff seemed nice. Rang a bell when they got a tip. 🥳. The view is nice over the balcony. There is an upper balcony also.

My partner and I took surfing lessons here through Paddle Barbados that operates with the Cruising Club. It was really fantastic and we had tons of fun. We'll definitely be surfing again! Our instructor was super friendly and really accommodating, and very good for beginners like us. If you're surfing, remember lots of sunscreen or a rashguard or something; we ended up with wicked sunburns and were out for a day after our lesson. 👍

It offers a unique experience with activities like climbing walls and Ninja warrior sections, making it perfect for weekend outings with kids. The gym operates on a credit-based system without monthly fees, catering to those who travel frequently for work. The atmosphere is playful and reminiscent of the schoolyard, encouraging members to engage in various physical activities beyond traditional weightlifting.
A very smooth transaction for day pass. I came early for a non-member but a man let me in and let me sign up. I didnt get the gentleman’s name but he is very helpful. The place is clean and a wide variety of equipments. No AC but ventilation is enough for workout. A lil hotter maybe in late morning and afternoon. But who cares I’m in the island. Thank you so much Beyond limits. Some 24/7 around the island is not true but beyond limits is awesome!!!

This is a great family gym, it is not for standing around and posing. Also it is more about fitness than body building. I like the equipment range this gym has and have been a member for some time but after allowing a few frustrating situations to slide, I'm rethinking my membership. Some interactions with staff caused me to notice that there are a few who could really benefit from customer service training. As someone who's been in customer service over 12 years, this has really become off putting for me.

Not your traditional gym, reminiscent of playing in the school yard. Climbing, lifting, swinging generally moving your body in a very playful manner. It does have weights for benching, squats, etc. if that is what you want but your imagination is probably your best fitness tool. It was extremely fun!

Bumptious and disrespectful female employee as all over Barbados in recent years; we’ve unfortunately developed a culture of customer abuse here instead of customer service very aggravating and sad. If it were another country, employees like that would be fired immediately, but here they can get away with anything; it’s laughable; really.

We spent an amazing day on board and can't recommend this highly enough. It's a small group of people, and you will all be friends by the time the boat leaves the harbour. The crew are so attentive to your every need, and the attention to detail is incredible. We stopped for 2 snorkeling trips and we were told what fish we were seeing, and the found a turtles on the second stop. The food was lovely, and there was even a stop with inflatables, paddle boards etc, which was great fun. The boat is just stunning. There is so much space on board and I'm definitely doing this again when we come back.

We were 2 adults and 2 children (14 and 11) and we all loved our trip with Cat and The Fiddle. The food served onboard was delicious, the crew were all very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. There was plenty of room on board, and the entire day was fun from start to finish.

The sunset cruise was amazing and worth every penny! We had a great time, the crew was super friendly and helpful. The food and drinks were fantastic! We stopped at one location to snorkel, they had clean equipment for us and towels. One of the crew members was in the water and another was on the boat keeping an eye on everyone. You can tell they take safety very seriously. The boat was super clean and in fantastic shape, it truly was a luxury cruise. There were around 20 people on our tour, but we never felt crowded and there were plenty of comfy places for you to sit and enjoy the ride. They even arranged for transportation to and from our hotel which was helpful since we did not rent a car. I wish we planned multiple trips on this boat during the week we were in Barbados, it was definitely a highlight of our trip!

If I could leave 10 stars I would. I used this company for my 10th wedding anniversary reception for my group of 17. The staff was amazing! They sourced a custom rum cake for us, the cake to my resort a day early to pick up the decor and set it up for our arrival, they kept the drinks coming, and the food was DIVINE. Start to finish just an unforgettable, amazing experience! Would sail with them again in a heartbeat!! Highly recommended!

I can't say enough good things about this company. From the moment I reached out to book, they were responsive and helpful. When they day for the charter actually came, they picked us up on time in a nice air conditioned bus and took us to the marina ahead of time. The actual catamaran was absolutely stunning and the staff were just incredible, I can't highlight that enough. They were professional, courteous and kind. The charter we took ran from 9am to 3.30 or so, and it was just fantastic. The bar was only all day, non stop and the food was great too. We journeyed all the way up the west coast from Bridgetown almost right up to Speightstown stopping at multiple places and stunning idilic bays along the way to go swimming with turtles, stingrays and to see the shipwreck. I actually think this was the best day trip of my entire life. The catamaran was so luxurious and spacious. We were blown away. And on top of all this, the $ value was amazing too. Do yourself a favour - if you're looking for a catamaran day cruise, then look no further - YOU WILL NOT FIND BETTER. Oh...and I proposed on the boat too and the staff made it unforgettable! Bravo C&F Bravo...and thank you!!!

The catamaran allows for intimate cruises where guests can enjoy local snacks and cocktails while exploring secret gems.
We had an amazing cruise with Captain Kallie and Crew, we snorkeled over the shipwrecks and saw the sea turtles and many other fish from Tarpan to small colorful local fish. Our cruise up the west coast was very informative and then we sat back to a wonderful Bajan lunch which was delicious, I had second helpings. The crew was very helpful providing drinks, making sure we were comfortable and safe. The boat is large but they only allow 12 guests which leaves plenty of room for everyone, very relaxing tour. They pick up and drop off from your hotel so it is really easy, rating five stars. One of the best catamaran cruises in Barbados.

Has a fabulous time on board the elegance. The captain was amazing, witty, friendly and welcoming, including the crew. Unfortunately for us it rained not long after snorkeling with the turtles and visiting the ship wreck. We was kept entertained by all the crew and well hydrated with the rum punch, beer and other beverages. Food was delicious on board with a choice of chicken or fish with side dishes included. Overall a lovely experience and would definitely recommend to friends and family who are visiting Barbados.

Had a great time with this crew. Only 12 of us on the tour which was perfect as some of us were over 70! Snorkeling with the fish and over a wreck. Lunch on board and a bar always open. Tour started at 10am finished at 2pm.

We had an amazing day on this boat. Snorkeling was great and the crew guide you around well, looking after the less confident in the water. Views are obviously stunning and best taken in with a rum punch. There was plenty of food and drinks flowing, served by a brilliant crew. The guys in the boat were brilliant fun and great to talk to. We'd booked for exclusive use and that was a really nice bonus but I don't think it would have changed my opinion if we hadn't.

Charles Fort, located in Barbados, is a historical site that has been repurposed into the grounds of the Hilton hotel. The fort still features cannons and a lookout point from its past military use. Adjacent to the hotel is the picturesque Barbados Military Cemetery, offering insight into British military history on the island. Visitors can explore old buildings and enjoy scenic views of the ocean from this location.
Awe inspiring historical monuments. It is currently being restored and we met Kevin who is part of the Hilton restoration team and he generously gave us an informative tour. This fort dates back to the 1600 when Barbados was under attack by the Dutch. It later became part of the British commonwealth and the name was changed from Needham to Charles. So much suffering and loss took place on this land. Admission to visit is free.
Juliet M — Google review
No need for tickets. Drive to the Hilton, security will let you in. Park for free by the fort. And wander in. It's a colonial fort, built by the British, commanding the approach into Bridgetown by sea. It's free reign, the more you look the more you find. From emplacements for breech loading guns, to muzzle loading cannons. There's murder holes, and various other fort building. Unfortunately Hilton are using some of the rooms for storage. And there is no interpretation or signage. It is in dying need of being taken under Barbados national trusts protection. On our visit. A lot of cannon were missing. And there is a serious amount of cannon in the sea around the fort... Not sure if they are being used as a breakwater. (But I would gladly volunteer my and my companies services to re- raise and set the canon from the sea!) these are original canon. That should not be lost to corrosion of the sea. As a history buff. I enjoyed it. But there's some shameful waste of heritage and history here.... From the pallet of canon sat by the hltn bins. To the canon abandoned to the sea, to no interpretation, and being used for functions and storage by Hilton!
Rowan C — Google review
Some Canons are installed pointed towards the ocean and there is a small bit of old buildings. It's a beautiful view and you can't avoid coming here if you're staying at the Hilton, but I wouldn't say it's worth it unless you're already in the area.

Brownes Beach is a popular public beach in Barbados, known for its fine white sand and clear waters. It offers vendors for lounge chairs, food, and drinks. The historic Carlisle Bay, located further south, boasts crystalline waters and golden sands. It also features six dive-worthy wrecks and two beautiful beaches: Brownes Beach and Pebbles Beach.
This is one of the most beautiful beaches in the world! The sand was pearly white, the water was crystal clear, and the waves were nice and calm. We had fun lounging, although the weather was super hot for late February. The water was nice and cool and we enjoyed snorkeling with turtles, where we saw lots of fish and met lots of other tourists. There were tons of chairs and umbrellas available. There were many restaurants with service available to tourists. They accepted American dollars and we had a great time meeting locals and learning about the local culture.
Bonnie S — Google review
The shipwrecks make a great place to snorkel. Even on a windy week, when the water isn't as clear as it can be, we got some decent pics. It's an easy swim from the beach. Just go where the snorkel tours are going and keep an eye on the boats so you don't have issues. One of the ships is covered in a carpet of anemones. A large stingray came by several times when the tour guide was feeding the small fish. The fast ones are mostly Sargent Majors but several others got some of the food. A large French Angel poked out from the deep parts of a ship a couple times but didn't hang around for pictures like they can at times. We snorkeled here last year and got even better pics. This is my favorite snorkel spot on the island. My only issue is after many repetitive dives (I'd guess 30 or more) down to the ships, my ears get difficult to clear. I haven't been anywhere else where snorkeling a single wreck is this good and they have several. My wife enjoys following the bubbles of the divers below. I think it's fun to get down to the diver level and include them in my snorkeling pics.
Karl T — Google review
If you are lucky enough to find yourself in Barbados, this beach is by far the best place for a truly authentic experience. Not far from here are a myriad of exciting adventures and experiences! If you have a paddle board the sunken ships are just a mile out from this beach and my goodness are they worth the paddle *note bring sunscreen WITH you if you are a pale skin like me I got burnt to a crisp even with a sun shirt totally worth it but would have been good to know* Just up the beach from here is where they exercise the horses for the race track, and this may make me ancient but watching horses swim in an exotic ocean and run on the beach gave me a Black Beauty moment I didn't realize I needed. Magic. And the most incredible of all, the people, this is where the locals hang, they will share their stories, food recommendations, and pro tip if share a beer or cold beverage they may even hook you up with some local fresh fish in the mornings. This beach isn't necessarily safe at night unless you have locals with you *a smoke and some beer or whiskey go a long way* and stargazing on these beaches is something out of a movie. I spent half of my trip on this beach and dream of returning often.
Suzy E — Google review
Beautiful beach with excursions, bars & plenty to eat. Easy to rent loungers & even go snorkelling. Water is calm and easy to swim even for kids, does get a little deep fast but beautiful nonetheless. Definitely worth a visit
Rochelle X — Google review
I hadn't been to Brownes Beach in many yeeeeears. When I finally returned it was even more welcoming, refreshing, calm, clear, beautiful and pleasurable in reality than it was in my old memories. The sand is clean and bright white, and stretches for about 30 metres from the esplanade to where the waves settle, and possibly a kilometre from Hilton to the Boat Yard. There are sections on the far ends of Carlisle Bay where private loungers are available for rental but those establishments are wholly unnecessary; needless excess, which interrupt the natural landscape. The natural space is plentiful and safe, with many trees for shade. The views of the rich blue sea, with small boats bobbing along, as well as the views of the charming city architecture, make this beach enchanting. There are nearby restaurants but my most rewarding experience was with a very friendly snowcone vendor situated roadside by the esplanade. She sold many flavours and even offered alcohol options for those who prefer spiked drinks. Those snowcones were a perfect and delicious way to cool down. I went to Browne's Beach 3 or 4 times in one week, because it was superb. It visited other beaches but Browne's Beach remains the favourite. There are multiple free parking lots, free washroom facilities near the largest parking area and a standpipe in the smaller parking lot. This area is well-equipped, easily accessible and still a gem.

Zena W — Google review
Probably the largest beach on the island, it’s also the one where you do meet actual locals doing things for themselves (playing sports, socialising, relaxing) rather than working. It’s a really nice experience and the beach itself is beautiful, with some great snorkelling within a short swim’s distance. It’s also a hub for a bunch of small boat operator tours, has a really fun food/drinks experience and parking.

Independence Square is a serene oasis nestled in the heart of Bridgetown, Barbados. Once a bustling car park, this beautifully redesigned park opened its doors to the public in 2007 and has since become a beloved recreational spot. Visitors can enjoy shaded areas under mature trees, relax on stone benches, or take in the sights from the amphitheater that overlooks the tranquil river.
Historic Bridgetown is a fascinating UNESCO World Heritage Site. The seaside walkway to downtown offers you a magnificent view of the Caribbean Sea. Relax on Carlisle Bay with options for turtle and shipwreck snorkeling, stand-up paddling and glass bottom boat. There a several great beach bars such as Lobster Alive and Harbor Lights.

Located in historical Bridgetown...shared between the wharf, the Independence Arch and the Swing bridge, the square is a few steps away from the Parliament buildings on the other side. A nice area to relax with park benches, and shaded trees with a view of boats moored in the Careenage. I however felt a little sad seeing the state of the area, which has lost it's vibrancy to years past, maybe it's the closure of many businesses and vendors as there's currently a major works project on the way. Standing tall in the Square is the father of Independence..a very fitting way to honor one of the Island's National Heroes. I do hope for the best for this area, when all the construction is over and new businesses emerge, as there's a lot of beauty and history surrounding the square.
Jules ( — Google review
This square means so much especially to the ancestors. They wouldn't believe that Independence would happen after so many years of hardship as young strong people were condemned, sold and stolen away from homes in Europe, Africa, Asia then forced to work in the baking sun to make sugar and rum with very little hope to escape and whole lives being treated like property.
