Juice shop
Matcha Mama Pueblo is a popular and picturesque juicery in Tulum, known for its vibrant and Instagram-worthy aesthetic. With locations in Tulum Centro, Aldea Zama, and the Hotel Zone, this vegan eatery offers beautifully crafted smoothie bowls and matcha lattes. The charming decor includes swings instead of chairs, cute wall murals, and a surfboard with the 'love Tulum so matcha' sign.
Loved Matcha Mama! The smoothies and bowls were super fresh, delicious, and perfect for the Tulum vibe. So many natural and healthy options to choose from, and everything tasted amazing. The spot itself is super cute and chill, great for grabbing something light, refreshing, and nutritious. A must-visit if you’re into clean eating and tropical vibes!

We loved it here!! Lizeth was so nice and she made amazing açaí bowls! The matcha was also really good and I’m very picky about matcha. The place is so cute and right in town lovely atmosphere! Would definitely come back :)

Lizeth made a wonderful breakfast for us. The breakfast bowl was very delicious and the matcha was awesome.

Visited Matcha Mama in Tulum again after last being here 2 years ago. The Bowls were fantastic and just as good as we remembered. We were served by Lizeth who was really friendly and helpful. We’ll be back :)

I have enjoyed açai and smoothie bowls in over 50 countries, so I have a good sense of what makes a great one. I decided to visit this place after seeing it on social media, but unfortunately, it did not live up to the hype. The smoothie bowl was quite disappointing: it was small, tasteless, and still had ice chunks in it, suggesting it wasn't freshly made. However, the staff were very friendly, which was a positive aspect of my visit. I hope the café can improve the freshness and flavour of their bowls in the future. For now, I would recommend trying other places in the area. Furthermore the coffee was also very bad !
Monir A — Google review
Amazing place with the best smoothie bowls in town. They have a lot of swings in the sun - what better way is there to enjoy your favorite smoothie bowl! And don’t be fooled by the portion size, it looks way smaller than it actually is. We’ve been here several time during our vacation and loved it every single time.
Alissia W — Google review
Cute little shop for smoothie bowls 🥭 The place has a very nice and large seating area, the swings in the front are very cute to take pictures at! My friend and I both order Mango Tango smoothie bowls, it was tasty and I was surprised it came in disposable bowls vs. coconut bowl for extra aesthetic. I was also shocked the girl asked for a tip even though it was all self served. 4 stars as the bowl was pretty expensive for what you get.

Hotel
Jashita Tulum Luxury Villas is an exclusive and eco-friendly boutique hotel located near the stunning Soliman Bay in the Riviera Maya. It offers a serene escape from everyday life, allowing guests to connect with nature and relax by the beach. The hotel features three pools, beachfront service, and an exceptional restaurant. The 2-bedroom Jasmine Penthouse provides luxurious accommodations with ocean views, outdoor jacuzzi, and access to a rooftop pool and bar.
We were in a group of 14 and had a fantastic time. The houses are straight out of an AD magazine - both architecturally and interior design wise. Cristina from the concierge was able to help us with dinner reservations and booking the cenote tour - very efficient and friendly. The cleaning staff was super thorough and kept the house spotless. We got a chef & mixologist for one of the nights, amazing margaritas and bbq. The location was the best part, secure and private removed from the Tulum beach crowds even if they were only 5 min away. Access to Jashita Hotel was a game changer, Tulum beach had big waves so we went to Jashita for a beach day and used their paddle boards and kayaks.
Luca V — Google review
We had a really great time at Jashita. We started our holiday in a villa, but we moved later on to the resort, because of disturbance of construction work. Everyone was very helpful and understanding in this situation. Both the villa and the resort were very nice. Good beds, nice bathrooms, everything very clean. Of course, the resort is brilliant because it is at the beach, there is a gym, great massages, etc. The food in the restaurant is also perfect, a mix of Mexican and Italian. The menu changes per day, so you are never bored ;-) But the most notably of all: everybody working at Jashita, from manager and concierge, to reception to restaurant is so very very kind! They really know what hospitality is, are really there to give you a great holiday. We felt very welcome and would highly recommend this place!
Eva — Google review
We had the most beautiful time at Jashita Villas. After spending a week between Cancun and Tulum, ending our holiday at Villa Fosca truly felt like saving the best for last — it was the perfect finale. The villa’s architecture is stunning, the interior design is thoughtful and elegant, and the signature scent throughout the space made it feel like a dream. As a photographer with a love for unique design and intentional spaces, this villa completely hit the mark. The communal areas felt warm and inviting, and the rooftop? Absolutely fantastic. Even small touches like having a washer and dryer on-site made a big difference; I flew back to London with clean clothes and one less thing to do. We also had the chance to visit Jashita Hotel and Beach Club, which were just as beautiful and serene as the villa. All in all, an incredible experience — I’ll definitely be back.
Deborah K — Google review
We stayed at Jashita villa for my birthday week. I wouldn’t have my birthday any other way. Our concierge Kristina is phenomenal and made our trip so easy. The staff who work for both hotel and villa goes above and beyond. We also recommend doing the Adventure shack with Byron when you have the time. Definitely coming up.

Amazing location of Imperia, close to tulum downtown and at the back of tulum beach, easy bike ride. The villa is inside a gated compound, you feel very safe and private. Beautiful details, comfortable, luxurious and chic, expeptional chef service, dinner was served on the roof top, insane, a blend of mexican dishes with argentinian grill. concierge service was excelent,Cleaning immaculate. Sencond day Went with all the group to spend the day at Jashita and were blown away, from decor to beach , went snorkelling on the reef and ended with a fantastic lunch at Pandano. Cristina the concierge of Imperia also greeted us at Jashita, she was always very attentive and spot on. Can t wait to be back next year 🙏🥂🏆🏆🏆🥂

Highly recommend!! Me and my friends had an amazing experience at Villa Virginia. It’s impeccably designed with a stunning minimalist aesthetic. Our private concierge was very attentive and looked after us the whole of our stay. Great location, a short drive or cycle from the beach and many of the cenotes. If you don’t want to venture out too far then you have your own rooftop pool to enjoy instead! There is great food nearby and lots of really nice independent boutiques located in the private residential area, a minute from where you stay.

We had a fantastic trip to Tulum staying at Villa Fosca! The villa was beautiful, well appointed, and kept immaculately clean. Plenty of space for 10 friends. The team at Jashita Hotel went above and beyond in helping us book transportation, reservations and activities. We also enjoyed having access to the main Jashita Hotel property. Highly recommend!
Christine P — Google review
We enjoyed our stay so much in Villa Virginia that we extended our time in Tulum and stayed in Villa Fosca for an extra 4 nights. Both villas were excellent. They are luxuriously appointed in a very safe part of Tulum. It's an easy drive to the beach, with lots of restaurants within walking distance. The only thing better than the Villas themselves was our concierge, Gely. Nothing was too much trouble for Gely, she made our trip!

Oh Sierra Swim Club is a hidden gem that truly captures the essence of Tulum. Nestled in a vibrant area, it offers easy access to local street food delights like tacos and tortas, perfect for a quick lunch after exploring. The upscale dining experience at Asian Bodego is just a short stroll away for those looking to indulge in something special for dinner. After soaking up the sun, returning to the refreshing air-conditioned comfort of Oh Sierra was an absolute treat.
A gorgeous slice of paradise. Oh Sierra Swim Club was our home for five days in May and I wouldn’t want to have spent my time anywhere else. Situated close to a growing part of town, we could get local tacos and tortas from the street carts at lunch, and then indulge in the exotic upscale menu of Asian Bodego for dinner, all within a five minute walk of the Swim Club. After walking in the sun, coming home to an air conditioned home was refreshing. Xanthe and Frank have created a beautiful space where the body can escape from the noise and heat while the mind can rest in the beautiful aesthetic. The Swim Club made our trip feel like a true holiday. A haven from tourism, a connection to local culture, and the comfort of an intentionally designed space. I could stay here for weeks.

While the admission cost may be higher than other cenotes in the area, visitors are treated to guided tours through caves and underground rivers with carefully placed ambient lighting creating a mesmerizing atmosphere.
Stunning! I stayed at the Hilton and this was literally right outside the property across the road, easy cab ride. Unbelievably beautiful and quite a surprise. Had it to myself! Small cenote but just look at the pictures! This place is amazing!

This place is AMAZING! You do have to drive down a long dirt path (so be prepared) lol but it is worth it! The cave tour was very interesting and the cenote is something out of a dream! Crystal clear blue waters and beautiful rock cave formations. All the workers are so nice!!!! 🩷 Also, They have the cutest spider monkeys!! We wanted to come back the next day just to see them again, adorable!
Joy — Google review
Our visit to Aktun Chen was an experience that truly took our breath away. It's hard to describe how incredibly beautiful and peaceful this place is. It made us stop and think — how amazing and fragile our world is. Our guide was absolutely wonderful — he spoke with such love and deep respect for nature, explaining the formation of each stalactite and stalagmite like telling a sacred story. You could feel his passion and how important it is to preserve this natural wonder for future generations. Swimming in the cenote inside the cave was magical — the water was cool and clear, and the atmosphere was calm and spiritual. Thank you to the whole Aktun Chen team for such a meaningful and emotional experience. We’ll never forget it!
Марія М — Google review
It’s worth the trip and the hiking is not difficult. Be prepared to need to duck down as you enter the cave as it is low for the first 10-20 meters but almost all of the rest is a comfortable height and not too many stairs.
Adam S — Google review
Wonderful trip! From the underground cave to the beautiful cenote. It felt amazing and the scenery was breathtaking.
Kim R — Google review
Pretty spectacular place. Went on a rainy day so perfect for a cave cenote. 4 stars because the pricing looks like they change it. 650 mxn per person just for the cenote. Expect to pay per activity And We got there too late to do the other activities. At 340 pm we paid for the cenote they told us they close at 530. At 445 they were trying to say they were closing at 5pm. We stayed until 518. But they cut the WiFi off at 510pm and all the workers started leaving. No transportation back to reception We had to wait for our ride for 25 minutes with no WiFi hoping they would find us at the cenote instead of at reception Wasnt a great way to end our experience negotiating the time we paid for and WiFi to get picked up.
Jose C — Google review
What an awesome experience. I would definitely recommend enhancing your trip to this region with a day at at Aktun Chen. In particular Luis was exceptional. He is clearly very passionate about his work and the environment he works in. His knowledge about the caves, the history was second to none. Thank you for making it a memorable experience.

Mexican restaurant
Taqueria Honorio started as a modest street stall and has now become a bustling taco restaurant. It is highly recommended by locals for its specialty in Yucatan dishes such as cochinita pibil, lechon al horno, and poc chuc. The family-run establishment offers a no-frills dining experience with seating at small bars and long tables under tents.
When going on our tour, we were welcomed into this place with open arms. Me and my family, were seated down immediately and we got our food very quickly. The workers here also make the place more enjoyable, they were all very nice and pleasant to be around ☺️. Our food was very good and not very expensive. Definitely a must come if you want to eat delicious food!
Sharon W — Google review
Take a long cold shower before you go to this restaurant. Go in shorts, sandals and a muscle shirt. Very hot in this place but the fans do help some... Food is great. Very tasty. Good prices. Might be the best place in town. Even tourist go to this restaurant. Chilaquiles are deli deli!! Had to tell the lady that sits the people down that there were unoccupied tables because it seemed like she didn't see them. No biggie though.
Pedro E — Google review
We really enjoyed our visit to Taquería Honoria. Our hotel recommended that we visit and we are so glad we did. The food was delicious and it was great to try so many different tacos. We’d been reading reviews about how good a crisp Mexican Coca Cola could be, so we chose two of those to complement our meal. One of the highlights was the beef torta, so flavourful and tender. We finished off with the flan which was great. We also really enjoyed being able to watch the staff assemble the tacos.
Holly C — Google review
Taqueria Honorio in Tulum is an absolute must-visit for anyone craving authentic Mexican cuisine! The food is simply outstanding, with every taco packed with vibrant, fresh flavors that showcase the best of local ingredients. From the perfectly seasoned meats to the handmade tortillas, every bite is a delight. The prices are incredibly reasonable, offering exceptional value for such high-quality dishes, making it a great spot for both budget travelers and foodies alike. The service is equally impressive-warm, friendly, and attentive, creating a welcoming atmosphere that enhances the entire dining experience. Whether you're a local or just passing through Tulum, Taqueria Honorio is the place to go for a memorable meal that hits all the right notes. Highly recommend!

Must try local place. The food is tasty and inexpensive. We had the chilaquiles with chicken and eggs and a latte and it was scrumptious. We also got super lucky and got seated right away, but plan on waiting around 15-20 minutes. Definitely a must try!
Tatiana F — Google review
Great food and packed with locals as well as some tourists. They had a variety of meats that were available in various forms (taco, salbute, torta, quesadilla) or served as a plate with tortillas. There is also a vegetarian options. I ended up getting a taco and a quesadilla. Both were delicious. Was just the right amount of food for me with no leftovers. Food comes out quickly. Place is cash only, but it's very affordable.
Linda H — Google review
AtlasAdventured recommends eating here for budget friendly travelers and visitors to the area. Definitely one of the more popular and written avout restaurants in Tulum. Seems like every Tulum Food Guide had this place on their list. It was good and had great prices. Very hectic and hot when its full but that's most places in Tulum. Overall a good experience and worth trying. Cochinita Pibil Torta would've been better with some veggies or additions other than meat and bread but the meat was really good. High turnover is usually a good sign for safe meat consumption here. We had been reluctant to try low cost pork since we read some horror stories. But it was good and we enjoyed eating here. Get here early because it gets really busy around lunch time.

Absolutely loved Raw Love in Tulum! 🌿 The atmosphere is gorgeous, peaceful, and cool (such a nice spot to relax in the heat). I had a fresh coconut which was obviously delicious, then shared the Zucchini Alfredo (zucchini pasta with cashew cream, basil pesto, smoked tomatoes, walnuts, and arugula) and the Maki Rolls (nori wraps with fresh veggies). Everything was super fresh, flavorful, and 100% plant-based. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a beautiful vegan-friendly place in Tulum!

So glad we stopped here for lunch! Such a little oasis away from the chaos. We came because we wanted refreshing food and had my dog with us (this place is dog friendly!). The tamales were delicious, the blue magic was so refreshing, our smoothies were great and my mom loved her pad thai. We got free shots for leaving reviews, but I would’ve left one anyway :) Highly recommend!

The maca vanilla bowl was incredible and the mocha with orange one of the best drinks I have had in my life (it is not sweet). Must try if you stay away from refined sugar and processed foods, SO good. Raw Love Tulum! I had heard about this place before but never got the chance to try it until now. There are two locations in Tulum since I couldn’t find the one in the hotel zone, I went to the downtown spot, and wow… what a fantastic experience! The place has such a bohemian, cool vibe that makes you feel calm and relaxed. I ordered the açaí berry bowl, quinoa salad, and chocolate cake. The açaí bowl was unlike anything I’ve ever tried 10/5! The quinoa salad was also delicious, solid 5/5. And the chocolate cake? Another perfect 5/5. This spot is definitely worth stopping by. The staff are amazing, and while it’s a little on the pricey side, the quality makes it totally worth it. I can’t wait to go back and try more!

The food is very clean and healthy, and the ambiance and vibes are amazing. This place is unique and has so much character with beautiful artwork and murals to enjoy. But the best part was the warmth and hospitality I received from the staff here. We had a rainstorm and power outage while I was here and they gave us incredible hospitality and conversation. Adam and Noalie are total gems - such warm people that make you feel at home.

This experience was amazing, the good healthy food that was filling but yet left with enough space for desert! My server was from Argentina and it made me feel like I was at home. Charlie's is a charming Mexican restaurant with live marimba music and vibrant street art off the beaten path. The food is described as delicious, with options like omelets and chicken sandwiches for breakfast, served with juice and coffee or tea during designated hours. The staff, particularly server Morgana, are praised for their friendliness and helpfulness in explaining dishes. Visitors have also noted the welcoming atmosphere created by the owner.
Absolutely loved this place, visited multiple times and I'm sad I didn't get to go back before leaving. The have great selection of vegetarian meals and everything I had tasted amazing! The staff there are so friendly and helpful, the venue is spacious with lots of cool decor and a little museum In the back. This will be my go to spot in Tulum for sure!

Popped in for a bite to eat while doing some souvenir shopping. The tacos were delicious and so was the guacamole and passion fruit mezcalitas! Loved the glass bottle wall too!

I love the outdoor garden seating area! Food was great! Jalapeño poppers were humongous!! The manager checked in on us and we had a nice visit with him. He came out with a bottle of scorpion tequila and gave us a shot on the house!

This is a cracking place. Came here twice for lunch - after 10 days in Mexico probably the best tacos and smoothies we’ve had. Also a nice cool shaded area to relax from mid July heat. Great service and very friendly. Right next to ADO station so useful for bus waiting. Highly recommend.
Ian D — Google review
Good food, friendly staff, beautiful atmosphere. They friendly pointed out the suggested tip. I had three beers. The Jalapeño Poppersm which are huge! A meal on their own. The hamburger was a smidge over-salted but consisted of a huge slab of meat, good dressing, and another huge Jalapeño poppper on a toasted soft-bunnwith guacamole, letuce and red onion. 540 pesos total, added 60 as a tip.
SF R — Google review
We had random selection just by looking at crowd and Google reviews.. The food is just yum, finger licking good. We had omelet, and chicken sandwich on the first day. It comes with juice and coffee or tea *only if you make it in designated B'fast hrs. Our server Morgana was very sweet and humble, extremely good in English. Explained the dishes and ingredients and gave best suggestions based on our liking. We eneded up coming 4 more times on different occasions..

Great atmosphere, busy street in the front and relax backyard to sit inside with trees and arts. The Food was pricey and not as good as I expected . We ordered 9 dishes for 7 people and the bill was 2900 pesos. The kids got burgers and they thought it was good. The beef and pork tacos were as expected. The fish were not good, tiny fish and too much bread covered. I came here mostly to try the poblano Chile stuffed , but it was only ok, not satisfying for me.

DelCielo is a charming breakfast and brunch spot in Tulum Pueblo, offering a laid-back atmosphere and a variety of health-conscious options. The menu features classic Mexican breakfasts like Chilaquiles and Huevos Rancheros, as well as westernized dishes with plenty of avocado. The beautifully decorated space includes both indoor and outdoor seating.
Such a beautiful breakfast spot! I genuinely loved every single dish. It might be a bit on the pricey side, but totally worth it. If you’re looking for a great place to enjoy breakfast, this is a must-visit

It was sooo delicious! The food was made with fresh ingredients and well seasoned. The coffee was also great. The server was knowledgeable about their menu and had great suggestions. This will be a restaurant i will visit again next time we vacation

We loved our brunch at Del Cielo!!! The environment is outdoor airy and all the staff carry an enthusiastic smile. They were very eager to take care of all our requests. I’m a bit of a coffee snob and I got a caramel cappuccino that was perfect. I also got the eggs Benedict that were on top of a crispy hash brown instead of any kind of bread at that was a brilliant combo. The açaí was mixed with coconut yogurt had great taste to it. The environment was so inviting we stayed a bit and talked after we were done eating. Very relaxing and enjoyable. Highly recommend!

One of my favorite breakfast spots in Tulum Centro! Went here 3 times in a week. Lovely atmosphere, food is so fresh and plentiful, staff is so friendly. My husband and I tried so many things and loved them all! Highlights include: -Super Bowl -Tropical smoothie - Chilaquiles -Huevos Rancheros -Breakfast combo (the tomatoes are so good I spooned them into my mouth lol)

I really love this cafe. When in Tulum, we come there quite often for breakfast. Unusual, large, delicious portions of food. I especially like combos. Friendly staff. Everything is wonderful.

Phenomenal breakfast and coffee!!! Excellent service with great juices. Very nice atmosphere! Order the French toast or the Mexican bowl! Both were exceptional!
Jessica A — Google review
Grossest food I’ve eaten 🤢 . The coffee was bad (sour milk), the yogurt tasted like something foul was in it, and the chilaquiles were horrible, the taste was like watery tomatoes, in addition this was fresh out of the kitchen all of the chips were soggy 🌧️ ! How does that happen? The staff is nice, and the atmosphere is good, but my oh my the food was so bad. I think a lot of ingredients were expired. I’ve eaten all over the world and had some bad food, but this was so bad me and my wife didn’t even eat more than a few nibbles and left.

21/07/2025 Such a popular cafe!✨ I arrived before noon, but by lunchtime it was nearly full with lots of people coming in🕛🌞 I ordered the breakfast menu MX$160and added salmon MX$70 ☀️ You can choose between fried eggs or scrambled eggs 🍳I went with scrambled, and it was the right choice 🙂😋💜 It came with sauce, but the avocado, salmon, and eggs were already full of flavor, so I enjoyed it as it was⭐️ The bread was soft and easy to eat I really liked the texture, kind of like French bread🥖✨ The atmosphere was very relaxing, perfect for taking it easy 🍽️ Definitely check out their Instagram! 📱💖 ✨ @delcielo_bistrotropical✨ Gracias 🙂

The establishment is known for its family-friendly atmosphere and is easily accessible from various locations in Tulum.
Great experience there! Lots of options to eat and good to bring your kids to play. They have a sort of playground and for food I suggest the Argentinian empanadas and the sushi place!

Definitely you have to visit on a Tuesday night when they offer Salsa Classes We Paid $70 MX Pesos but this included a drink and you can choose from water to beer, they have several food trucks inside and a main bar with a large selection of drinks, beer and wine. Plenty of local artists showcasing their handcrafted products including jewelry and other accessories They also have a small kids playground area. Clean bathrooms available. Palma Central is such a vibe! 💃 Went on a Tuesday… 100 MXN entry included a beer + free salsa class, such a steal. The food truck setup is awesome, tons of variety (and lots of vegan options 🌱 🙌) with good prices. Drinks, live music, seating, all super clean and chill. Not pushy at all, just good energy. Definitely a must-do in Tulum if you want something fresh and fun. 🌮✨

Great place to go. I think they have salsa dancing on Tuesday nights.. It’s like an indoor food court with lots of space for dancing, has an area for children to play. Went on a Tuesday for Salsa night, it did not disappoint! We had a little class of both salsa and bachata to get everyone in the vibe. We ate at the food trucks and it was all tasty. The evening was amazing as a live band and fire jugglers made the night memorable. Our best night in Tulum.

Selecto Chedraui Tulum is a popular mega-grocery store in Tulum that's a must-visit for families on vacation. It offers a great selection of plant-based products and an enormous bread section, although some visitors wished for more produce. The market is large and well-stocked with fruits, vegetables, pastries, fish, and meat at good prices. Additionally, it features various dining options and alcoholic beverages for sale.
Pay for parking if you are there for a while but other than that it's a nice store. With all the usual goods. Some things are a bit pricer than the other grocery stores I've visited. But way better than the other stores in the hotel area. I'd recommend this place.
Owen R — Google review
This place offers excellent produce and has a wide range of items, from electronics to fruits and vegetables. Make sure to arrive early, as they occasionally close before the listed time of 11 PM, despite what is stated online. I suppose it takes a while to clear out all the customers, which is why they tend to close early.
Michael — Google review
AtlasAdventured recommends shopping here. The Best store overall in Tulum. There are other stores where you can find better deals but this is the spot to get pretty much anything you could need. They also have a petco, restaurants and other useful stores either within Chedraui or in the surrounding stores. If you're American/Canadian this will feel very similar to the supermarkets/grocery stores you are familiar with. Make sure to check dates on things since bakery, deli, meat areas can sometimes be days old and on the verge of expiration. Good selection of produce too but some items you are used to may be more expensive than local goods. As I said, many of these items can be found cheaper elsewhere but in terms of options and variety, this store is your best bet. Also, try the food court if you have time. The tortas(sandwiches) are absolutely amazing but order them fresh and don't buy the pre-made ones. Just our opinion after trying both. We usually travel on a budget so different countries have different options to ensure the best tasting meals for the best value. Our recommendation for those wanting a homemade dinner in Tulum at the lowest cost would be this: Go to food court area and get a rotisserie chicken ($5-$8). Near the chickens there is usually beans or rice in to go containers so grab one or both of those (<$2. Then go to the back of bakery and find the fresh made tortillas in the ice chest, they are usually still warm and you get 20-30 homemade tortillas for under $1. If the ice chest is empty you can grab some tortillas by the rotisserie chickens too and they are still pretty fresh but be sure to check 'empaque' dates. Lastly, go to produce section to get some fresh guacamole and/or fresh salsa($1-$2 per container). Sometimes these can be along the back wall near meats but if they get sold out my afternoon usually so if those two spots are empty, head to the jarred salsa aisle and pick one out or make some guacamole on your own for an even better discount. If you head back over to the bakery area you can get some cheap freshly baked desserts but be sure to use tongs to put them on your tray and go to the back so they can weigh, bag and sticker your items. Wine and alcohol are in that are too. If you drive and park in the parking lot, be sure to bring your parking ticket in the store with you and get it validated at register upon check out for free parking. If you don't get it stamped when checking out, you will have to come back in to get it validated.

very nice clean supermarket w great produce selection a la WalMart Supercenters. only complaint is they charge paying customers $20 MX to park. i thought the cashiers validated the parkimg but they add an extra 20 pesos for the privilege of shopping there. Soriana is looking better all the time!

This place far exceeded our expectations! Clean huge selection of almost everythng. Theres an amazing fresh bakery and soooo much more! Trust, this place is no walmart, its so much more.OK so you pay a little more but it totally worth it and you can have a great lunch or snack. We were inthe store for well over 2 hours and I had no idea. lol! By the way, I spent around $250 for groceries for the week and got a ton of food for he week. Back home I would have only a few bags. THis is my honest review andI was not paid for it.

Great supermarket — my favorite one here in Tulum! They had everything I needed in the store, including a bakery, tortillería, and even roasted chicken, which was delicious. Super convenient and well stocked. Highly recommend!
Erik J — Google review
During our two-week stay in Tulum, we visited Chedraui six times, and it became our go-to spot for various needs. The grocery prices are very reasonable, making it easy to stock up without breaking the bank. One of the standout features is their ATM. It's safe and offers the best exchange rates in Tulum, with a fee of 58 MXN. Since the fee is flat, it’s more economical to withdraw larger amounts rather than making multiple small transactions. The bakery section is a delightful bonus. The breads and pastries are fresh and delicious. Additionally, you can find alcohol at reasonable prices, which is great if you're planning a beach day or a quiet evening in. Chedraui also boasts a coffee shop and a small restaurant. They serve a variety of cuisines, including Mexican, Italian, and barbecue. The food is tasty and priced well, making it a convenient option for a quick meal. Overall, Chedraui made our stay in Tulum much more convenient and enjoyable. Highly recommended!

Súper Akí Tulum is a large grocery store situated at the main intersection as you enter town. It offers a wide range of products, including fresh fruits and vegetables, meats, clothing, souvenirs, toiletries, and even alcohol. The store also features a restaurant or bar inside. Visitors appreciate the convenience of finding everything they need in one place. Additionally, there is a Hertz car rental located in the same parking lot for added convenience.
Just off the highway with a manned car park to keep the traffic flowing. Well stocked. Lovely colourful presentation of fruits and veg on entrance. Lots of staff stocking the shelves and no lines at the checkout.

We were happy to find a supermarket with such a wide variety of local and international products. That said, the prices clearly cater to tourists rather than the local economy, so don’t expect to save much on groceries. Still, it's a convenient stop if you're looking for mid-long term stays.

This was the closest local market to our Airbnb/condo. Decent fresh fruit, friendly and helpful staff especially if you can speak some Spanish. We came on a Sunday and noticed that there was a liquor area It was sectioned off. We planned to purchase some local alcoholic beverages on the way out, but got there at 5:15 pm local time. We were surprised and disappointed to find out that on Sunday to stop Selling alcohol at 5 PM.
Addison T — Google review
A good grocery store for food and necessities. Not as nice and well maintained as Chedraui but definitely has some better prices (some more expensive prices too). Staff was not that friendly but it was very busy and a little hectic when we went. Seems more like the 'locals' grocery store and less touristy focused, which is good. There is a small clothing and souvenir area near the produce area. Has everything you should need. Parking is a little crazy with how many people are rushing around the parking lot but just pay attention and you will be fine. The register and check out lines are narrow and lack space. Lines take a long time to move because of the checkout process and limited space to bag groceries. Produce, souvenirs, clothing and some snack items were slightly cheaper here compared to Chedraui but didn't have quite the selection or have the cleanliness in meat and bakery department as Chedraui.
Atlas A — Google review
Good general purpose market. Prices are fair.
George B — Google review
Great supermarket. Some items were cheaper than it’s competitor, but space is smaller. Still has everything you could need here. ATM inside charges very low rate to use (probably the lowest one I found in Tulum). Staff were helpful despite language barrier.

Jeralyn W — Google review
I underestimated the size of this supermarket and ended up spending a good couple of hours there 🫣 they literally have everything you need which was super handy for staying in an apartment. I really liked their Pandaderia (bakery) and cafe section although it gets very busy and there are a lot of flies. The food however is delicious and great value for money. They also have ATM’s inside but they charge quite a bit of commission if you’re travelling and need cash.

Parque Dos Aguas is a delightful gem nestled in the heart of Tulum, offering an enchanting blend of relaxation and vibrant local culture. This park features expansive playgrounds that are part of a larger plaza, making it an ideal spot for families to enjoy various activities. As you wander through, you'll discover food stalls serving up mouthwatering street snacks like elote lollipops and fried ice cream, especially lively in the evenings when vendors set up around 6 PM.
This park is a fantastic place for tourists to relax and enjoy the local atmosphere. It’s also surrounded by excellent food options, making it a great stop for anyone looking to try delicious local or international cuisine. Absolutely the worst today. This is always has lineups and management refuses to open more to tills to get customer's through faster. The design is breathtaking — every corner feels curated, with soft lighting, natural wood tones, and those signature Tulum details that make you slow down and breathe. The atmosphere is calm and romantic, perfect for couples or anyone who wants a peaceful reset. You can relax by one of the many pools, listen to the sound of nature, or enjoy a cocktail under the palm trees. The staff deserves a special mention — incredibly kind, attentive, and always ready to help. From check-in to dinner, you feel genuinely cared for. The rooms are spacious and modern, with a beautiful mix of organic textures and minimalist luxury. Many have private plunge pools or large balconies overlooking lush greenery. My girlfriend and I recently stayed at Secreta Tulum Hotel, and we had an absolutely incredible time! This hotel truly offers a luxury experience from start to finish. Accommodation and Service: The rooms are very well-equipped and comfortable. What truly stands out is the staff—they were extremely attentive at all times, making us feel welcome and well cared for throughout our stay. Dining: The food was a highlight! Both the lunch and dinner we had were delicious. The quality and taste were top-notch. The only minor point for improvement was the breakfast. While the food was good, it lacked variety; it was essentially the same offering every morning. Beach Club Experience: The beach club is excellent. The beach area was clean, and we felt very secure, thanks to the visible security. The beach club restaurant is also good, and the drinks offered are absolutely top-tier. Overall Experience: Outside of the small issue with breakfast variety, the entire experience was magnificent and we highly recommend Secreta Tulum for a luxurious and relaxing vacation.

Overall the trip was good. This is a relaxing boutique resort, but not a party one and after 11pm there’s nothing to do on the property, it gets very quiet , which is fine if that’s what you are looking for. The rooms are very nice, the food at all the restaurants were delicious, the beach club was also very nice. Keep in mind the area surrounding the property is in development, not much to do , you have to take a taxi out, nothing is walkable but it looks like in a couple years there will be much more. Cons: There’s little signage at resort, hard to find things. They do not advertise their events well, times are not too accurate. They could do more activities throughout the day or offer things like cards or board games. It’s not walking distance to the beach at all. Beach shuttles should come more often and offer earlier and later times, 9:30 to 5pm is not enough in my opinion.
Samantha C — Google review
All the staff was helpful with anything you need. Rooms were amazing definitely recommend the swim up rooms. Only two things kind of threw me off. 1 - The prices outside of the resort were ridiculous, 45$usd for an 8 minute cab ride one way. Also I would have liked some non-pork breakfast meat options at the resort. Other than that, great trip and can't wait to visit again

Amazing hotel in the heart of Tulum. The hotel offers great pools, restaurants (great food and lots of options) and amenities as well as cool activities such as cenote visits, bike tours, karaoke/trivia nights (special shoutout to Ariel et Alfonso for taking our experience to another level). The hotel's architecture and design flows in harmony with nature, our room was absolutely beautiful not to mention that the staff was the sweetest :) While not beachfront, they do offer a shuttle bus 20 minutes away from their beachclub which is nice especially when it's not beach season!

Before mentioning the positive aspects, I would like to address two negative experiences that left us quite disappointed. Upon our arrival at the hotel, after a twelve-hour flight from Germany to Cancún, we were unfortunately not welcomed in a friendly manner during the late-night check-in. We were not even offered a glass of water. Instead, the only words were: “Here is your room, someone will take you there shortly.” There was no information about where we could get something to eat or drink. The whole situation felt cold and impersonal. To me, this was incomprehensible. Perhaps our appearance did not please the receptionist, but out of simple humanity and courtesy, I would have expected at least the offer of a glass of water. It felt strange. In addition, our luggage only arrived four days later. During this time, we were literally left with nothing. When we then wanted to dine at the Asian restaurant, we were stopped at the entrance because of the dress code. Admittedly, we were wearing beach clothes, but they were neat, closed, and in our opinion, even stylish. Nevertheless, we were made to feel less valued. This was a very unpleasant experience that led us to leave the restaurant. All the more important for us to highlight how outstanding the entire team at breakfast in the Market Café as well as at the Beach Club has been. Unfortunately, I couldn’t remember all the names since we did not talk to everyone personally, but I would like to mention the following: Hektor from breakfast, as well as Ahmet, Pablo, Sergio, and Salvador from the Beach Club you were truly amazing! THANK YOU. Both teams consistently delivered excellent service: incredibly friendly, attentive, and warm hearted. One could really feel that their kindness came genuinely from the heart. Despite the heavy workload and often stressful situations, they always managed to remain professional, precise, and at the same time warm. Their dedication and positive energy greatly enhanced our stay and deserve the highest praise really top, top, top!

Cenote Cristal and Cenote Escondido are two lesser-known open-air cenotes located just outside of Tulum town. Cenote Cristal is known for its round and wide shape with a high diving platform, while Cenote Escondido is long and skinny, featuring a rope swing and abundant fish. Despite not offering dramatic above-ground views, these cenotes are popular among divers due to the underwater caves that can be explored.
Calm, peaceful, not overrun. Has good bathrooms and seating under the shade of trees. Not too busy, doesn't seem like the big tour groups make stops here. There is a 2m platform for jumping at cenote cristal, while there is a small rope swing at cenote escondido.
Todd N — Google review
Affordable to enter ($15 USD). Few more bugs than any other cenote we had been to. Got to see some turtles sunning on the rocks which was neat for the little one. Hammocks & picnic tables available.
Hannah Y — Google review
AtlasAdventured recommends visiting this cenote! Definitely one of the better cenotes in the area, both in quality and in value. You get two cenotes for the price of 1 and they didn't charge us for our 5 year old daughter. It's 300 pesos per person (about $15 USD) and gives you access to both. You can't buy single cenote access for a cheaper price. The ticket counter lady said we could walk to the other cenote across the main highway but recommended we drive. That was good advice because its across the street and down the road quite a bit. Probably a 30 min walk if you decide to go that route. The first cenote we swam in is the one right by the ticket counter, Cenote Cristal. It's a large circular swimming area with steps to get in, a small rope swing and a large platform to jump off. There are many different seating areas along the edge of the Cenote and lots of shade from the trees. You will see many fish swimming around and someone said they saw a turtle but we didn't see it. Water is cool but refreshing on a hot day. Cenote Escondido is long and has lots of seating along the ledge and at either end of the cenote . There's a rope swing and multiple spots to jump off. It's deceptively deep since the water is so clear and it looks shallower than it actually is. There were scuba divers at the bottom doing a training course or something and there was still enough depth to jump off the ledges. There was a large family and another small group of people there during our hour or two there so it wasn't too crowded. We had one end of the cenote, the large family had the middle area and the small group was at the other end. Make sure you are aware of those around you. Unfortunately we had a slight incident where my daughter and I were snorkeling in the very end of the cenote where nobody was jumping but apparently one of the dad's from the other group decided to run and jump off by us and landed right on my head while I was snorkeling. Luckily he didn't land on my daughter because I was in a lot of pain for the next couple of weeks unable to move my neck much. That cut our visit to this cenote short. Besides that mishap, we had a great time and really enjoyed these cenotes. A great option during sargassum season to beat the heat and swim in some clear, refreshing water.

I visited Cenote Cristal & Cenote Escondido, which require a combined entrance fee of $300 MXN per person. You pay on the north side of the road, and the ticket is valid for both cenotes—no option to pay for just one, which felt a bit pricey considering there aren’t many amenities included. Cenote Cristal is just 100 meters from the entrance. It’s smaller, surrounded by birds, and has a natural circular shape with a rock platform to jump from. There are wooden stairs, a few hammocks, and some picnic tables. Bathrooms are available, though not in the best condition. Cenote Escondido is across the road and about 500 meters in. You can walk, bike, or drive. It’s larger, with wooden stairs on both ends and a rope for jumping. There are more fish and turtles here, but no hammocks. Like Cristal, the restrooms are poorly maintained. Neither site seems to enforce basic rules (like no smoking or littering), and unfortunately, not all visitors are respectful of the environment. Still, the natural beauty of both cenotes makes them worth a visit—just go with the right expectations.

MX$300 for Cenote Cristal and Cenote Escondido (across the street and about 1km down a dirt road). This was our favorite Cenote!!! Picnic tables to sit, a platform to jump and flip off of, and clear blue water. Nice bathrooms too and no life jackets required!!

Cenote Cristal & Escondido are amazing cenotes in a peaceful environment. Refreshing too! Nice that they have showers on site. $300 for both is a good deal too. We have had an amazing time in Tulum and have been super cautious regarding safety but today we let our guard down: We came back to Cristal after exploring the area in the late afternoon (we are there in the morning and it was quiet) to just go in for 5 minutes. I wrapped my little bag in a towel and put it underneath a table and went for a splash with my friend. Something didn't feel right so I went back but bag still there so all good (I thought). Then half an hour after leaving I get notifications on my phone - fraud alert. We checked our bags, both wallets gone, but phones still there. Bag perfectly placed back. We now think back and there were 3 guys without swimming wear. We were extatic and dumb and they were probably waiting for an easy target like us. Advice: Go one for one or bring a lock for the lockers ;)

Very nice cenote, clear and clean water, perfect for snorkeling and diving. Not too many people there and enough space to sit at tables, benches or chill in hammocks. There are options to jump in the cenote, either with a rope from the ground level or an about 3,5m (just guessing) platform. Many animals to observe, like fishes and turtles in the water and lizards and beautiful birds on land. The small fishes can give you a natural pedicure if you let them and if you're patient enough :) Pay attention to not use sunscreen or other waterpolluting things when swimming. Entrance fee was 150 pesos per person (in November 2024).
Nadine K — Google review
Very nice cenote, not too far from Tulum center. The water is clear, there is enough space for a good amount of people. I went Sundays, so there were quite a lot, but u can easily swim, snorkel or just chill in cold water to refresh from the sun. Or jump the platform. They got life wests as well. For 300$ Peso you can buy a double ticket for the cenote across the street. Signs with general rules like no smoking, no sunscreen etc. to protect the environment.

ITour Mexico Riviera Maya Tulum Eco Tours offers a unique experience with eclectic rooms in a tropical-style venue. The Italian restaurant and terrace add to the charm of the place. Guests have enjoyed various excursions such as the Sian Kaan float tour, Chichen Itza tour, Sian Kaan Deluxe boat tour, and Bacalar-Tour. The knowledgeable and friendly guides like Omar, Christian, and Abraham made these tours exceptional.
I left a piece of handmade artwork that I bought on the cenote tour. They returned it back to me safely the next day. I feel very safe with these people and this tour. The people are very honest and nice. The tour was very beautiful and exciting. Highly recommend this tour !!! Well worth it !!!

Overall the tour was great, although organised by a 3pty also catering for guests from other hotels. On Itour: We could have saved maybe $10pp going direct with that third party but the fact we didn’t have to do last minute payments or have the hassle other customers had may be worth going through Itour. In the tour itself: We opted for the Chichen Itza PLUS tour. Unlike the basic one, this gave us free drinks and water which was esily worth the extra spending. The tour left later than planned (10:00 instead of 09:40) but first took us to a cenote where other bus tour would stop, going in December I cant comment whether this was considered a busy place but it didn’t feel overwhelmed with tourist. We then stopped at a “Mayan Community” -whether legit or not (most remaining Mayan or in the Southern part of Central America), the push for sales was present but not overwhelmingly pressurising as I’ve seem on other tours (feel free to spend your money as you wish but there is no way to tell if these items are legit or better quality than what you get at other tourist shops). The buffet food was good, not mind blowing but tasty regardless and truly buffet. Be wary that a basic package does not include drinks (50-70 pesos ea). We then went to Chichen Itza, the tour guide was knowledgeable and we learnt plenty not only at Chichen Itza but during the whole bus journey. We had two hours there, one of which was a guided tour. This is not a review of Chichen Itza but 2h felt sufficient and timed at a time if the day where fewer tourists (relative to peak time) would be there. The last stop was Vallaloid central, 30mins to enjoy the main square, street food and food court which was way too little. The drive back got us back at 9pm (30mins later than advertised) but that didn’t bother anyone.

Our experience was very disappointing. We were instructed to be at the pickup location at 8:40 AM for a half-day tour (Tulum Ruins and Cenote Taak Bi Ha). We arrived early, at 8:30 AM, but were immediately told there was a change, and we would visit a different cenote, which was less well-rated but acceptable. We then waited at the pickup location until 10:00 AM before finally leaving. Upon arriving at Tulum Ruins, the entry line was incredibly long, with an estimated wait time of about an hour. The tour guide seemed focused on regrouping 20–25 people and spoke in Spanish 90% of the time, which left us feeling excluded. We didn’t take our first photo of the ruins until 12:00 PM. Afterward, the group was directed to visit the Escultura attraction before the cenote. However, due to heavy traffic, we didn’t arrive until 1:30 PM, where we waited another hour just for one picture. By this point, we were supposed to visit the cenote and have a snack, as no lunch was provided. Unfortunately, our kids (11 and 13 years old) were exhausted, so we requested to be dropped off at our hotel on the way to the cenote. We arrived back at 2:15 PM, with no lunch, no cenote visit, and a lot of frustration. This tour was advertised as running from 9:00 AM to 1:30 PM, but it was poorly organized and far from the experience we expected. To make matters worse, we paid $300 for two adults and two kids and felt it was not worth it at all.

We loved both the tours that we did. First we went to Chichen’itza along with two cenotes. The guide, Reyes, was knowledgeable, kind and helpful. While lunch could have been better, we understand how tours go and the place was cute. We also did the Sian Kaan lagoon tour, and it was great! It was overcast that day and slightly windy. So I was grateful to have had a poncho or we would have been very cold. We saw many dolphins and birds, unfortunately with the weather we couldn’t snorkel but that is out of anyone’s hands. Our guide Nikita was fun, knowledgeable and easy going. I appreciated her excitement about the wildlife. We did not see manatees as they are now protected (that’s good!) and boats can not go to their habitat. Marco, the organizer was on point and helpful from the start! Everything was on time, professional, organized and clean. Definitely recommend!
Sarah W — Google review
I did the Sian ka’an float tour with Omar. It was amazing, it was a nice smaller group, food was excellent. Omar was friendly and knowledgeable, he had lots of insider info and was really accommodating. The following day I did the Chichén itz’a tour with Christian, again, excellent. Smaller group, he was friendly funny and knowledgeable. Food was excellent, the cenote was amazing and not as crowded as it looks. Definitely worth the money. They seem to have a different exchange rate than what is current so be sure to bring a few extra pesos. The stop on the Chichen itza tour is a fun place to shop, so again bring some extra pesos.

We went on the tour Sian Kaan Deluxe by boat last week and it was wonderful; our tour guide Abraham spoke english and german among other languages. If you love being out on a boat and the open this is a beautiful UNESCO world heritage site, 780,000 acres that is very special and not to be missed! Abraham was very knowledgeable and engaging and we had lots of fun! The day was just spectacular. A beautiful boat ride through the lush lagoons stopping to see an crocodile (just under the water) and then out to the open and saw very graceful dolphins and a beautiful big white turtle (24"diameter). It is so great to see these guys in their natural habitat and to not support any animals in captivity! Then off to snorkel near the reef. Lunch in the small village of Punta Alen was nothing fancy but lovely people and a simple meal of rice and chicken or fish and salad. Very clean place. Walked through the village after lunch and then back in the boat; went swimming in a lovely pure sand beach area and toasted Mexico. We saw 2 beautiful birds high up in a very large nest made up of twigs and plastic, a sad commentary of all the plastic that reaches even this beautiful eco area. My husband is taking our 2 kids back out this week; it was that good. The company was excellent ensuring everyone had life jackets on and very safety conscious with everyone snorkeling. I highly recommend this trip!

Walking into the entrance, I was welcomed instantly by Alejandro. Smiles left and right with an incredible atmosphere. Thank you, Jose, for making our evening even better. Highly recommend this spot!

Rooftop is amazing! Honestly we came here as a detour on our way to get food because I needed to use the washroom, and the vibes were SO GOOD we ended up staying for several drinks and food! The bartender (Albert) and the server were such a vibe and so fun… super helpful and just kept the party going. Had wonderful recommendations of what to order off the menu, there was a really good DJ and the space was sooooo gorgeous and chill. I’m an espresso martini girlie and very picky with my espresso martinis and this place did NOT disappoint. We sat at the bar at first but the server came over and encouraged us to check out the rest of the layout. Super private, comfy booths but the music was at a perfect volume you could dance if you wanted to, but also just have a convo. Would 100% come back.

Mixik is a vibrant store offering traditional Mexican crafts, distinct from typical tourist souvenirs. Located in both the hotel zone and downtown, it showcases hand-painted ceramics, embroidered blouses, and unique skulls and skeletons at reasonable prices. This artisanal boutique on the main highway near Calle Jupiter Norte in Tulum features a diverse range of affordable handmade items from Mexico. Visitors can find clothes, homewares, folk art pieces, and more.
Beautiful store with very unique findings that are all made in Mexico. Not the typical tourist stuff. It is definitely worth a stop when you’re in downtown Tulum.

We were staying in Akumal and wandered to Tulum one rainy day when we happened across this treasure. Every shelf, nook and corner are filled with legit art and folk art from all over Mexico. The owner manned the counter and answered all of our questions and more. We bought things that we loved for ourselves and others. It's a place to indulge yourself and to buy special gifts for those you love. The main street in the playa is filled with souvenir shops, but if you want something special, go here. Be prepared to spend some time taking it in, because you'll need it just to take it all in.

Families will find plenty to do too—kids can enjoy water parks or simply relax on the beach building sandcastles. A standout experience is the floating tour led by knowledgeable guides like Manuel, who ensure that every moment is both fun and educational.
Our trip to Chichen Itza, cenote Oxman, and Valladolid was unbelievable! Our guide Alvaro was knowledgeable and such a pleasure to spend the day with. The food that we had for lunch was delicious and authentic. Alvaro took us to a local lunch spot that we would have never been able to find on our own. We felt safe and relaxed for our entire 10hr day, and we learned so much about the complex and beautiful culture of the Yucatán peninsula.

I recently embarked on an awe-inspiring adventure with Manuel from Tulum Dive and Adventure (coordinated with Dive Paradise), and I must say that it was an experience of a lifetime. From the moment we stepped foot in the shop until the end of our excursion, Manuel's exceptional service and attention to detail left a lasting impression. Our journey began as Manuel picked us up promptly at the ferry dock, and his warm and friendly demeanor immediately put us at ease. He expertly navigated the route to Cancun, all the while engaging us in delightful conversation and sharing interesting insights about the area. Manuel's coordination with the boats through Isles de Mujeres ensured a smooth and seamless trip, leaving no room for any uncertainties. What truly set Manuel apart was his communication throughout the entire adventure. He provided us with comprehensive information about what to expect, ensuring that we felt prepared and confident. His professionalism and dedication to our enjoyment were evident as he went above and beyond to make sure we had an incredible time. The highlight of our excursion was undoubtedly the opportunity to swim with the magnificent whale sharks. Witnessing these majestic creatures up close was an absolute privilege, and the experience left us in awe. However, what impressed us even more was the deep respect and passion Manuel and his team demonstrated towards the animals. Their commitment to preserving and protecting the marine life was truly inspiring and added an extra layer of significance to our adventure. As if swimming with whale sharks wasn't enough, Manuel surprised us with a bonus trip in the middle of our journey. We were treated to a mouthwatering feast consisting of handmade guacamole and ceviche. Taking a break on the stunning beach, savoring the delicious food, and absorbing the natural beauty around us made the experience even more remarkable. Undeniably, this excursion with Tulum Dive and Adventure is a must-do when visiting the area. Manuel's exceptional service, professionalism, and genuine love for the ocean and its inhabitants make him the ideal guide for such a unique and thrilling adventure. If you're seeking an unforgettable once-in-a-lifetime experience, look no further than Tulum Dive and Adventure.

If you’re looking for something authentic, fun, and beautiful, Tankah Park is a place you can’t miss. From the moment we got there, we were surrounded by gorgeous jungle, crystal clear cenotes, and some of the friendliest people we’ve met. First of all, our tour guide, Francisco, was amazing! He made the entire experience feel so personal, he never rushed us, and he made us feel super comfortable, and explained everything perfectly, down to the smallest detail. You can tell he really cares about making sure everyone has a great time. Honestly the whole staff is amazing! The cenotes are absolutely stunning, each one has its own vibe, and swimming in them feels like being in a hidden paradise. We also got to zip line over the water, which was such a rush, and kayak through one of the bigger cenotes… seriously, the water is so clear you can see all the way to the bottom. One of my favorite parts was visiting the Mayan village inside the park. The locals were so welcoming, and we got to enjoy a traditional meal that was honestly some of the best food of our trip. It felt amazing to know that visiting the park actually helps support the community too. What I loved most about Tankah is that it’s not crowded or touristy like some other parks. It felt peaceful and real, like we got to enjoy nature without a million people around. If you’re into nature, adventure, and culture. Tankah Park is 100% worth it. Playa Akumal, located in the Riviera Maya, is a popular public beach where visitors can enjoy snorkeling and swimming with turtles. The bay's waters are home to these beautiful creatures, making it possible for snorkelers to observe them up close as they feed on aquatic vegetation. The beach's name, which means 'place of the turtles' in Mayan, reflects its main attraction.
We went only for the purpose of snorkeling for the turtles and sting rays, we went early at 8.30am payed 100 pesos parking for the whole day and 140 pesos pp entry. We went snorkeling for 1 hour by ourselves (we were bound between some places and they whistled us back sometimes) we saw beautiful fish and one tiny stingray. Decided to do the tour because we felt disappointed after an hour. On their spot with the guide we saw so many turtles, big and small, a big stingray and more fish. The turtles swam multiple times just besides us. Should've taken the guide on the beach directly when we arrived. Payed 400 pesos pp but it was worth it. Sometimes a lot of people but still manageable and would have been less if we did it right away. Use the guide on the beach, we had one just for us 2. Lots of pelicans fly the beach

Akumal Beach: A Riviera Maya gem! 🏖️ Famous for snorkeling with sea turtles, its clear waters and white sand are captivating. Ideal for families and nature lovers. While some areas have restricted access, the experience of swimming with turtles in their natural habitat is unforgettable. A top spot for relaxation and marine life encounters! Beware of stingrays!

Entrance is 140 pesos now and you will be harassed by so called ‘information’ and ‘bay patrol’ guys every 5 minutes. Just go to the Lol-Ha cafe to have breakfast and have a look at the beach before and after. It’s not a nice bay anymore, it’s full of snorkel / dive boats, full of sea weed and most of all full of lines with buoys that help snorkel guide chase turtles in groups of 12 (!!!). Any many groups at the same time. If you want to snorkel yourself, you can in the first 20 meters, you can spot a turtle in that under water grass as well. Just enjoy it from a distance. And for really nice reef snorkelling, go somewhere else.

Crowded? YES. Still very magical. This was my nine year olds second time snorkeling and he could keep up because the waters were calm. We saw probably a dozen turtles. Guides really respect the environments. It was at time difficult to move out of the way of the turtles because of the crowd but still highly recommend booking a tour here (over Isla).

The fact that literally all the beach altough offers no actual amenities is paid…is so sad…you are not even allowed to a certain point where the turtles are without paying for a guide…. Locals told me that used to be actually public/ free but not anymore…
Georgios T — Google review
Ok I read the reviews about how the turtles are being exploited and was skeptical at first but they actually look pretty relaxed and unbothered, they look clean and not filled with barnacles. The guide leads you to where they are and points some other marine life. I had a fun experience here! I had a private tour just myself and paid 30$. I looked online and usually they charge 45$ per person. It was fine by me since I had the solo attention of the guide. Me and my husband went around 10am ish and went to Lo-Ha restaurant this way we didn’t need to pay for beach access since my husband is not into beaches. We ordered drinks and lunch. While waiting I walked around the beach and there were a couple of guides that offered tours. So you can pick and think about it. You don’t need to buy it in advance since there are an abundance of guides at the beach area. My guide took care of me, he had new snorkels, I let him pull me a bit since he had fins and I didn’t. They all have floatation devices for safety. But I saw different sizes of turtles, and blue fish, squid, rays, even a ships cannon from the Spanish era. All in all it was a good experience. If you want to swim with the turtles I say go for it! Oh and parking is 100$ there’s a lot to your right that will say the price, and they will give you a ticket.

We did the snorkel tour, saw 9 green turtles, 2 stingray and countless fish! Our guide was friendly and willing to get us away from the big groups to go do our own thing. The green areas are for snorkeling alone without a guide, you can’t go in the red without a guide which we were okay with. Umbrellas, lounge chairs and showers included with price.

I had a disturbing and unsafe experience while snorkeling on my own at Akumal Beach. While I was in the water, a man claiming to be a snorkeling guide approached me in a kayak. Without warning, he forcefully pulled out my snorkel while I was still underwater, which was not only frightening but also dangerous. He told me I wasn’t allowed to snorkel there because it was “private,” even though everything I’ve read—including CEA Akumal’s own website—says otherwise. He threatened to hit me with his paddle if I touched his kayak and refused to give my snorkel back. He stole it. This was clearly harassment and made me feel unsafe and unwelcome. It’s extremely disappointing that something like this can happen at a beach promoted as open and safe for tourists. I hope this behavior is addressed before someone gets seriously hurt.

Paradise Beach, also known as Playa Paraiso or Tulum Paraiso Beach, is a stunning stretch of white sand and turquoise waters located in the Riviera Maya. It's often hailed as one of Mexico's best beaches and is a popular destination for tourists worldwide. The beach boasts swaying palm trees, lush jungle surroundings, and nearby Mayan ruins, creating an idyllic setting for relaxation and exploration.
Great clean spot to relax. Only bad thing is that it’s a protected park now. There’s a small fee of 60 pesos per person. You cannot take any of your own drinks, plastic cups etc. there’s a military post making sure of this. Also, they close all of this area by 6pm.
Rcantu65 — Google review
I recently visited this beach and had a mixed experience. The scenery is beautiful, with swaying palm trees and soft white sand, perfect for a relaxing day by the ocean. The beach was spacious, allowing for plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the sun. However, I did notice some seaweed along the shore, which detracted from the overall aesthetics. While it’s a natural occurrence, it would be great if the beach staff could clean it up more regularly to maintain its pristine look. The amenities were decent, with plenty of lounge chairs available. However, it felt a bit crowded at times, especially closer to the beach bars. Overall, it's a lovely spot to unwind, but a bit of maintenance could enhance the experience significantly. Worth a visit if you're in the area!

A beautiful beach with an amazing view. Try to get up early and watch the whales swimming and the sun rising. Absolutely lovely place. Can't wait to go back there next year. Suitable for couples, families, larger groups. Just an amazing place.

We didn't enjoy Tulum. It's like the movie your best friend overhyped and then it's a total disappointment. You have to pay an entrance fee to get in to Paraide beach, pay to park, pay to actually use the beach, pay for chairs/umbrella and pay again for a towel and THEN you can pay for your drinks and food. We went when the seaweed was out of control so it didn't help that we couldn't even enjoy what we paid through the nose for. It's the same issue at all of the beaches and I gave a 3 because it's the best of the ridiculous beach accessibility choices.
Cat S — Google review
Beautiful beach that you can see from the Tulum archeological site. It was an amazing blue ocean and white sand!
Rita — Google review
There is so much sargassum here that the sea has turned brown. Also you have to pay an entrance fee to access. Would not recommend.
Xerxes B — Google review
Definitely our favorite beach in Tulum! The sand is amazingly soft and white, sea is warm and calm, with no fishes around. The beach is in natural reserve (so in the protected area, as other Tulum beaches) so you can’t bring any plastic here (plastic bottled water or other potential garbage) - which is great, because this way they can maintain the beach clean, nice and preserve it for future generations! We have travel a lot but haven’t seen a beach this clean! And of course, you can find here the famous leaning palm tree 🌴
Cyntia P — Google review
No idea what time portal other visitors traveled through to get to the beach they rave about, but this entire stretch of coast was a disappointment. First off, this entire area is part of a National Park. The fee to enter the one road leading to it is 50 MXN. Then when you choose an area to park, you must pay. It is not free. About 250 MXN. These prices would be worth it for any good beach, but my visit in late May was a bummer. Not the fault of service nor of the locals, but I walked from Playa Paraiso up to Playa Santa Fe and sargassum was washed up along the entire shore. The sand away from the water was beautiful; fine white powder. But the water was not even that stunning, and also contains even more sargassum. Makes me wonder where all those other photos came from. I don't need to visit again.

Yal-Ku Cenote, also known as Cenote Akumal, is a large and shallow cenote located close to the sea, giving it the feel of an inlet rather than a traditional cenote. It's a popular spot for snorkeling due to its clear waters and abundant marine life, including fish and sea turtles. The lagoon offers paths and benches for visitors to relax and enjoy the natural beauty.
Is a great lagoon. It was not very crowded, offered a very unique blend of fresh and saltwater animals and plants. It was very clean and accessible. Staff were great. It does not have the usual amenities, including food and trinkets, but this was not mess. They have usable bathrooms, Goodyear rentals at a reasonable price. And they recommended.
Addison T — Google review
The snorkeling in lagoon was very cool. The food was subpar and not good. The service at restaurant was lacking. We did rent a palapa and enjoyed it. The ceviche Vallarta was not good. My child said chicken nuggets were mushy inside. French fries good. Crowded in opening with tours, after tours left in afternoon a lot more pleasant. There were hammocks in our palapa that we enjoyed. Make sure you eat well before you get there, as the food service was not good. They do not allow you to bring your own food. They need more help in restaurant.

We rented the Casa Laguna adjoining this lagoon and it was amazing to explore the place at different times of the day. Around 5-6pm is the best time of day, we experienced at least 7-8 full schools of different fish and they were much more in the open than during the morning or midday times. One of the highlights of our trip to Akumal for sure, highly recommend this experience and this casa was wonderful!

This is a place you want to visit because it located in a beautiful and connects to the ocean. The water is pretty and landscape also. There is no overhead canopy cenotes, they all open so great for kids. Buy tickets there, cheaper.

A very beautiful cenote. I loved it. It's a good choice since I've visited several. Even though it's an open saltwater cenote, it's still an excellent place. There's a variety of tropical fish and small animals.

This was my favorite cenote out of all of them I visited on a road trip from Mérida to Telchac Puerto, Rio lagartos, El Cuyo, Holbox. Akumal, Valladolid, Yaxuna, and Uxmal. While it’s an open cenote blended with salt water, it’s still impressive. There are tons of tropical fish are other wildlife along the hour or so swim to the ocean and back.

They require life jackets. That is NOT how you snorkel. The water is hard to see through where the salt meets fresh water. We saw some fish and lots of seaweed. It just wasn't worth the entrance fee.

Dolphin Discovery Tulum-Akumal offers an unforgettable experience with dolphins. Visitors can interact and swim with the happy dolphins, creating lasting memories. While the photo prices may seem steep, the overall experience is worth it. For those staying at Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya Resort & Spa, there's a convenient shuttle to the dolphin show, making it a must-see attraction during your stay.
This was an unforgettable experience for our kids. I was amazed at how much they got to interact with the dolphins. The staff were so helpful and kind. I was impressed also that the dolphins could actually lift the kids up on their noises and ride them through the pool like they did. Some priceless moments that my kids won’t ever forget. DO NOT COME HERE unless you want to talk to horrible people. Crazy expensive. 45 USD for one digital or printed picture, rude workers. Brought our 1 year old and they were horrible to her. We had already paid for pictures online but when we arrived they forced us to pay for the pictures of the baby who can not stand on her own but ended up having no pictures of her on her own even after they made us pay due to this and said there would be no group ones even though we had like five group pictures and refused to refund us for money that wasn't even used for anything. Going in there were only one family in front of us but ended up waiting ages and nothing was said to us. Then they proceeded to rush us to get ready and in the end we still had to wait ages as they weren't even ready, there was also no official changing room or benches to get ready and put suncream or anything on and ened up doing it by the lockers. Our baby was crying due to the sun being in her eyes, they gave us an umbrella for her but began moaning two seconds later when it was in the pictures and the experience was unbelievably short and rushed like a conveyor belt, no personal touch to it at all. They moaned and gave us dirty looks and spoke in Spanish to each other when our baby cried like we were a bad family and when we came to pick pictures and we said about a refund they said that we couldn't get a refund because our baby was crying which is straight rude and obnoxious I will never understand why people think that just because we have a baby we should put our lives on holt. Completely put a sour mood on the rest of the day and will not be coming back. Even speaking to others who said they come every year said that it has gone terrible and has been cut short as there used to be a full show and you could ride and play with the dolphins. Do not come. Not worth your time or money.

FIVE stars for yesterday's dolphin experience...the dolphin trainers were awesome with our kids! ONE star for the photographer lady, who spent much of her time on her cell phone or looking out over the ocean....missing tons of great shots! The other photographer guy (for the other group) was capturing all the pictures the whole time! By the time she brought us in to sell us overpriced pictures I was already determined not to buy. Pig-headed, maybe? But, was insulted by her lack of work ethic. I get it, not everyone likes their job but come on, we're paying a ton of money to be there!

If you are staying on the Resort it is about a 15 minute show that is free for Resort customers. If you want to swim with the Dolphins then there is a charge, but I don't not know how much.

Really poor all round. So disappointed with this experience. I wouldn't go again nor would I recommend it to anyone. The 'trainer' had no knowledge whatsoever and the experience was rushed and very quick. One in one out rotation it's all about the money. The photographers are abysmal and miserable, don't mind taking money off you till there is an issue and they don't want to know you the smiles and friendly face soon disappears. NOT CHILD FRIENDLY AVOID.
Sian — Google review
Awesome experience.....My wife and I... along with the trainer were the only people in the pool... They took lot of time with us and there was no rush to get out... We had a great time. The staff was so friendly and courteous.... I would definitely recommend doing this while you are there... And get the package they offer that the dolphins lift you out of the water.... It is like nothing you have ever experienced.... Don't miss out on this... Pictures are a bit expensive... but like everything else in Mexico negotiable... But well worth the money...

Great fun for entire family. Important: buy your tickets in advance for the best deal. You won't need shoes or own towels. All food and drinks, including premium alcohol are included. The buffets offer impressive selection and surprisingly good quality. You will need 8 hours to experience the park. Enjoy!

We did the Dolphin trainer for a day and it was amazing! We were picked up from our hotel in Cancun and shuttled about 90 minutes to the park. Check in was pretty quick and we were directed where to go. After we changed, we started the experience and it was nothing short of amazing! We got to have several different interactions with most of the dolphins. In the water time was split in to multiple different segments. There was a break for lunch and our trainer escorted us to the buffet that was included and brought us back an hour later. The behind the scenes tour was very cool! Our main trainer was Leo and he was amazing as well as all the other trainers we worked with. I would highly recommend this for anyone that wants an amazing dolphin experience! Things I didn't know until we arrived is that lunch is included, you don't need to purchase a separate entry ticket. The entry ticket wasn't clear between different sites but you don't need to buy that unless you want to do other things at the park but this is an all day experience so there is no need.

You definitely have to visit and explore Xel-Ha Park, of the Xcaret, at the the Riviera Maya's which has stunning natural aquarium, and spend on all-day trip if you visiting Mexico. Relaxing on Xel Ha's hidden beach, swimming in cenotes and lagoons, snorkeling, and spelunk in caves - will make your visit incredible and memorable. Activities are distant, so you'll spend time walking from one place to another . It is very well organized, and food is good for an all-inclusive.

Punta Laguna, located just a 30-minute drive from Coba, is a hidden gem worth exploring. Visitors can embark on guided jungle tours to observe spider monkeys and listen to the howling monkeys. Additionally, they can enjoy a lagoon cruise and even try rappelling down a small cenote. This less-visited spot offers an opportunity to immerse oneself in the region's abundant wildlife with knowledgeable guides leading the way through lush jungles and rare cenotes for a small cost.
Lovely tour around a natural reserve, sadly I dont remember the tour guides name, but he was excellent! Very engaged in the flora and fauna of the reserve and showed us a couple of monkeys and other interesting animals in the area😊 Highly recommend, this has been one of our best experiences on our holiday yet!

We had a fantastic tour here with Julio as our guide. He expertly walked us through the reserve and we spotted numerous Spider Monkeys and a family of Howler monkeys. We learned so much and Julio, being a local, was a font of knowledge. Our walk took us down to the lake which was beautiful and tranquil. My wife and I would highly recommend Punta Laguna. It is a totally more real experience than Xcaret and we were privileged to see the monkeys in their natural habitat. The trek was great value for money, 1,300 MX$ for the 2 of us, but card payments are not possible, only cash.

Just get there by car and ask for a guide at the entrance to give you a private tour. They will spot monkeys for you to observe and to take pictures. Cash only!!!

The photos I have shared here are from 2002, over 2 decades ago. The dock has been completely redone since then. When it comes to wild nature, Punta Laguna Nature preserve is some of the best jungle for beauty and zoology that our planet has to offer. I was part of a group called Summer Program in Tropical Conservation (SPTC) led by primatologist Dr. Michael Periera and Laura Vicke in 2002 in Punta Laguna. The purpose of the program was to explore botanical (medicinal tree identification), primatology (spider monkeys), native language (Spanish speaking), cultural interaction with Indigenous mayans (played football with the local Mayans, dined with them, and shared life experiences with them), and archaeology (Mayan ruins were near our campsite and we went to the surrounding ruins) - and establishing a reliable jungle trail mostly around our base, but as a circumference around the lagoon as well. Not only was there no zipline nor any of the other tourism there, back then, what is now called "Punta Laguna Monkey Reserve" was not a tourist attraction back in 2002, over two decades ago. Although it was not a full-fledged tourist attraction back then, travelers occasionally appeared at the dock overlooking the lagoon (near where we had our tent site) because they had heard it was a worthy visit. I am excited to see that today, still this magical and pristine place is held in high regard by visitors. Back in the the ealry 2000s, we actually used machetes and gps to map out and make trails at the Punta Laguna reserve. I lived on the reserve for the summer of 2002 in the Yucatan for the summer I began college. Punta Laguna was one of the best experiences of my life. Most every day, I would have coffee in the very early morning in the palapa (main grass-hut house) after sleeping in my tent and the local Mayans (with whom we played soccer with on "la concha" the concrete slab which I am not sure is still there) cooked us dinner each night. I learned the local botany by studying trees and helped two PhD scientists research the indigenous spider monkeys, all while carving out trails in the jungle - the trails that began laid the foundation for the small tourism sight-seeing, ziplining thing that's going on there today. I am not claiming to be "founder of Punta Laguna tourism". The mayans are the founders of Punta Laguna if anything! Part of our Summer Program in Tropical conservation group was to energize the socio-economy of that area. My favorite parts of the experience were the long jungle hikes while creating fresh trials, the strong connection with Nature, the long sweaty, rewarding, exercise-filled days of botany, science, primatology, anthropology, Spanish speaking, and a lot of science. Because Punta Laguna one of the most beautiful jungles on our planet, let's keep Punta Laguna Nature Preserve for its beauty, rich ecology, zoology, cultural significance, and cultural heritage site status!

Based on the cenotes we visited while in Tulum this was the best for us as a young family (mom, dad, 7 year old & 1 year old). Nice facilities & plenty of ways to get into the cenote. There is a restaurant there to order food from & also two decent sized pools. Cost us about $50 USD to enter which we found was worth it.

Our driver recommended this Cenote as being a little off the tourist path and glad he did (shout out to Edgar) We could have spent all day here. The cenote is beautiful with clear fish filled water and beautiful views of the underwater caves. There are two platforms you can leap from. There is also a zip line you can fall from for 10 pesos. The surrounding area really blends with the jungle and has plenty of seating. Definitely rent a swim mask for 50 pesos or bring your own so you can really see everything. . There is a small restaurant and bar that serves local beer we recommend the Tulum beer. The staff is really helpful and friendly with many speaking English. There is also a safari tour we didn't try. Finally a nice little gift shop with good prices.

The staff remembered all of our names and took such great care of us. Melissa booked anything we needed and knew every place in the area. We were so grateful for her! We will be back!

We had a wonderful stay at Ana y Jose. The service is truly top-notch. Omar and Andres went above and beyond to make sure our family felt cared for and welcome. They even created a beautiful, unforgettable, and unique dinner atmosphere to celebrate our son’s birthday , a moment we will always cherish. They are wonderful and without a doubt, two of the hotel’s greatest assets. Melissa was also incredible, offering thoughtful recommendations that helped us make the most of our stay, especially since the beach had seaweed and we couldn't spend much time there. Thanks to her, we still had an amazing experience. We genuinely loved every minute of our stay. The people are what make Ana y Jose so special. This was our second visit, and we’re already planning another — seaweed season or not, we’ll be back!

We stayed 4 nights at the hotel. Melissa welcomed us very well! The room was very cozy and met our expectations. The service was great too. Everyone was very attentive. We were unlucky with the weather, we had a lot of rain and the ocean was horrible! Full of sargassum (seaweed), impossible to swim or dive. Nothing like what we expected, so take that into consideration. It's not the hotel's fault, but no one travels to see a horrible and smelly sea. Another point is that the restaurant prices are very abusive – extremely expensive. In general, all of Tulum is overpriced. But I came with high expectations for the restaurant and was disappointed. It's nothing special. The location is good, which allows you to walk (even if on streets with no proper infrastructure) and avoid paying the minimum of 30 dollars charged by taxi drivers in the region. An outrage! Organize yourself well for this visit!

I had a great time at this beach club. The staff was incredibly patient and attentive, they really made us feel welcome. Our waiter, Daniel gave us an amazing service. The minimum consumption was 1000 pesos per person, with no extra hidden fees. Later on, we decided to upgrade and get a cabana, and they simply adjusted the bill accordingly, instead of paying 2000 pesos total for the two of us, we paid 3000, which was totally fair. Everything was transparent and smooth. I’d absolutely go back! Unfortunately it is the season of the algae, so the beach is not very clean but that is the only thing I didn’t like.

WEDDING Review: We had our boho chic beach wedding here and had all our guests stay here for a long weekend and it was truly wonderful and everything I dreamed of. Excellent service, great hotel layout, was perfect location to spend unforced quality time with our friends and family. There are 4 Garden View rooms that share a private pool would ask for those rooms for a good deal :) Attentive staff. Wedding planners very responsive (there was a whole team of ppl that showed up on the day of the wedding - not just one planner!). Wedding felt very personalized. They do enough weddings to be experienced with them, but not so much that it feels like a wedding factory. Thank you so much!!! A few things to look out for: the room reservation process with blocks is a bit archaic (each guest emails the wedding planner). They don't have yoga but we went the The Beach (nearby hotel). If you have a large wedding party really want to pick a good spot for group pictures ahead of time. We paid for the Beach BBQ Catering package (delicious, family style) but noticed we didn't get all of the sides detailed in the package so would ask about that.

Tulum-Specific Probably you came here for the tropical sea, as we did — but Sargassum seaweed will almost completely ruin that experience. In August, the sea was entirely unusable: brown, murky, and foul-smelling. They don’t clean the sea, and there are no barriers in place — only a few ineffective ones on the beach, which is a losing battle. Inform yourself before coming here. Flies and mosquitoes were the worst we’ve experienced anywhere in Mexico. Constant use of repellent was necessary, unlike in many other places we visited. In my opinion, this is likely due to dirty surroundings and numerous unattended construction sites with open water. Our outdoor pool became unusable, as you were instantly swarmed by mosquitoes. The town itself is not pleasant — the main beach road is unwalkable, traffic noise from motorbikes is constant, and taxis are vastly overpriced. ⸻ Hotel-Specific Staff are friendly and do their best, although waiters could be a little more enthusiastic, especially given that they suggest US-style tipping ranges. Rooms are maintained only passably. We had one of the most expensive accommodations in the hotel — a private villa costing over USD 1,000 per night (breakfast only) — yet there was an unidentified animal moving inside or above the ceiling, making loud running and dropping noises all night. It was almost impossible to sleep. Worse still, in the morning, the living room floor was covered in excrement. Staff investigated and discovered it was an opossum or a rat. They placed traps in the ceiling, but in the evening, the animal was running freely through our living room before being killed by staff. Half an hour later, the same sounds returned — even louder. I believe there was a rat’s nest in the villa’s inner roof (which is completely open to the living room due to the architecture). We demanded a room change and were moved to a smaller but rat-free room. Unfortunately, this led to nearly two sleepless nights, upset children, and a generally unpleasant atmosphere. Eventually, the hotel offered an upgrade for our remaining two nights to a seaside private villa as compensation — a kind gesture. However, there was still some animal inside the ventilation system, disturbing our sleep as well. Other issues: • No mosquito nets on the windows of our room. • Insufficient water supply — it could stop entirely in the middle of a shower. The hotel advised calling 10 minutes in advance so they could divert water to our room. • Air conditioning in our first room was partially broken and produced random, loud, crackling fan noises during the night. • Restaurant quality was sub-par and far too expensive for what is offered, especially compared with general standards in Mexico. There are almost no alternatives nearby (see above). • The hotel’s private beach area was poorly maintained. By around 4 p.m., food and drink remnants were scattered everywhere, and sun loungers and cabanas were full of sand. • Loud traffic noise in some rooms and villas. • A substantial ant trail ran alongside our private pool and outdoor dining space.

My husband and I spent 10 days here. We had the Anemona room and we had a wonderful time. Breakfast was included in our package and it was delicious each day. The service was excellent- we especially enjoyed the helpful management Pau, Melissa and Miguel. It’s very walkable to many shops and restaurants and the beach is just beautiful. They also take security very seriously. We left some items on the beach and security took them for safe keeping. Also while my husband was away, a man selling jewelry approached me. I was never in any danger but I noticed the security gentleman came and stood very close to me until he left. We loved the chocolate each night and the fresh juice with breakfast each day. If I could make one request it would be that they update the gym a bit. We would definitely return.

Yax-Muul is a stunning destination that offers a unique experience. Visitors begin with a blessing from a Mayan Shaman before rappelling into a small cenote and exploring two more underground cenotes. Afterward, guests can enjoy a delicious Mexican buffet lunch and relax in hammocks. The site provides amenities such as free parking, showers, bathrooms, lockers, and snorkel gear. Guides like Isa and Haylor offer assistance throughout the day to ensure visitors have an enjoyable time.
Incredible and Unforgettable Experience! If you’re looking for a unique adventure in Tulum, Tours Yaxmuul is the best choice. From the start, the service was excellent, with friendly guides who are knowledgeable about the history and nature of the area. The visit to the Tulum ruins was fascinating. We learned about the Mayan culture while enjoying breathtaking views of the Caribbean Sea. Then, the activities they had planned for us were super fun, full of adrenaline, and a great connection with nature. The highlight of the tour was definitely the cenotes—magical, unique, and absolutely stunning. Each one had its own charm, with crystal-clear waters and an atmosphere that made us feel like we were in another world. A must-visit at least once in a lifetime! Thank you, Tours Yaxmuul, for an unforgettable experience! 100% recommended.

Transport is offered to and from the main highway. Only got to visit 3 out of 4 cenotes. Not sure what happened to the fourth one. The life jackets are old and staff don’t pay attention to the rated weight limit for each jacket. I’m lucky I had basic swimming skills and an understanding of life jackets work. The staff were pretty nice though. Likely because of the expected tips but still loved this part. Came on a weekday with relatively little activity so that probably helped too

This place is amazing , if you visiting Tulum Mexico you need to visit this Cenotes they are breath, taking and Beautiful, your money will be worth it. You get a safe vest and tour for 700 pesos but you get kayak and tours to caves and open cenotes excellent experience.

Super loved the place.. The biggest advantage of this cenote over others is it's totally underground. So don't have to worry about Tulum/Cancun's frisky weather... There are total 3 cenotes in here, the 3rd one is the largest and the most beautiful...

Today we wrapped up our vacation on a high note with an unforgettable visit to Yax-Muul water park in Cancun, Mexico. We wholeheartedly recommend adding this to your Tulum itinerary - it's an experience that will leave you feeling inspired. We took a more personalized approach by booking our tour through our taxi driver, which included a tequila tasting, cocoa tasting, shopping, and a visit to four breathtaking cenotes. This phenomenal tour exceeded our expectations in every way. Our knowledgeable guide took us on a three-hour journey through four stunning underground cenotes, creating lifelong memories. While there were some additional fees for water shoes and lockers, it was well worth the investment. A huge thank you to Yax-Muul for an experience that will stay with us forever.

Phenomenal experience. There are multiple cenote and they have guides that walk you through. There are a lot of extra costs when you get there, like lifejackets and water shoes. If you have water shoes, definitely bring them. You can get lockers so we all shared one because they were pretty big. Our tour guide was absolutely amazing. He had this pipe and would make Jaguar noises lol. If you don’t have time to go to multiple Snote locations, definitely check this one out. There are multiple Sanota within this location, so it was definitely worth it.

Tulum National Park is a must-visit destination for those interested in exploring ancient Mayan ruins amidst stunning coastal landscapes. The park offers well-preserved ruins and breathtaking views of the ocean. Visitors can easily explore the grounds, but should come prepared for the heat with hats, umbrellas, and sunscreen as shade is limited. While outside beverages are not allowed, there are facilities to purchase tickets and souvenirs on-site.
Wow! Do not miss this place, it’s an amazing archaeological site with tons of history and beautiful views. Get a guided visit and enjoy! Tips: take a hat or umbrella, the sun is so bright and strong!!! Do not take plastic bottles, they are not allowed, but your personal bottle (thermos or otherwise) these are allowed, they just don’t want people polluting the area. Take good walking shoes. I loved taking a fan and a small towel, but I guess that’s just me. If you’re Mexican take any student, teacher or Inapam ID, you’ll get a good discount! Visit the bookstore there, they have good books and they sell water.

Pretty nice national park. The ruins have been restored pretty well and look very nice, the ocean is beautiful with less seaweed compared to other places in the Cancun area. At the beach you can pay for a boat tour with a very small fee to go swim with turtles and stingray in the coral reef. The coral reef is pretty much nonexistent since it looks like it died 20 years ago and all thats left is dust with tiny hunks of coral, but some parts of the reef are restored (only a tiny bit). Highly recommend

Entry: Beware of the myriad of scammers from the entry of the parking till the official entry point of the park. I would suggest not to talk to anyone except the ticket controllers, they will guide you where to buy tickets. (It's a shame that the supervisory body of the place allows the presence of the scammers, as this can ruin the visitors' experience!) Another restriction is on the plastic and garbage: Bring a lot of water in your thermos flasks, as any plastic bottle will be taken away upon entry! Experience: The sights and sites of activities are scattered around the huge park. Electric cars will transport you for free, (no tips needed). My favorite was the archeological site with reconstructed Mayan buildings on the ruins with iguanas everywhere. The museum is interesting (but not fascinating) and the Southern lookout tower—Mirandor Sur—and the beach line are both nice is check out. Overall: 4 stars due to the terrible entry experience. Only the 1h preparation (i.e. comment reading) saved us.

A lot of lizards. It‘s like a private seaside park. The ruins are fake and have no sense of history. Two tickets will be charged. For the first time, more than 400 Mexican dollars were provided to provide battery car transportation services. The second ticket is 100, which can only be paid in cash. This 100 Mexican dollars is the ticket. But the previous more than 400 was also mandatory.

Beautiful experience- there is a 9 year age gap between my kids and both enjoyed this visit. We had a tour guide who was extremely engaging and informative. Taxes were an extra $35/pp on top of the ticket. Make sure you put a ton of bug spray on before you go because the mosquitoes were vicious here!

Very nice place. I really recommend to visit it. I saw a lot of iguanas and very nice vegetation. You get a ride to the park main entrance so you save a lot of walking. It is hot. Bring water.

The way to get on the beach side is quite long but it worth once you are on the shore, the view is just stunning, all people there treat you well and have the best attitude to make your day wonderful, the sea at the moment was not the best but this because we were in a bad season when sargasso is pushed to the bay.

OK, so before this we had gone to other sites for the first time that same day but we came to the cenote and I really liked it honestly and I even paid with my debit card and everything went OK and we did. I think it was the second package where you go with a guide and it’s a small group of people and your snorkeling and they give you the lens the snorkel thing for your mouth, a wrist, flashlight, and the flippers shoes which is a must because you will get tired, even if you’re not swimming fast it does really help 🙌🏻😊 So we did that package and I think it was 800 pesos per person, but I really liked it. I also was able to take my disposable water camera, but I don’t think any other cameras are allowed you have to ask. I had never done anything like this before so for the first time ever doing it I felt like it was such a great experience. It was fun. It was kind of spooky because you’re in the caves but at the same time it’s amazing and then you also see bats, flying everywhere , I will come back to this and do this again most definitely I loved it 10/10 ✨💕🙏🏻😊😊

To get to this place you need to travel bit into jungle but it is all worth your trip. Cenotes are beautiful and if you are a diver or decide to take snorkeling trip you will see underwater world of cenotes and a bat cave.

We used to dive in the Dos Ojos cenotas with scuba gear, but this time we opted for a snorkeling tour with a guide. Everything was well-organized, and we were provided with all the necessary equipment for the water excursion, including disposable snorkels and flashlights. The water was crystal clear, offering great visibility of fish schools. The interior was beautiful, featuring stalactites and stalagmites like traditional caves, but partially filled with water. Cute little bats inhabit the cave ceilings. Great place to visit when in the area!🤿🐟

Total money grab. Poor infrastructure getting to and around the cenote. Dark cenote with little light. Sectioned off unless you pay the premium. If you have been to cenotes before this isn’t that spectacular. Dos ojos is 400 pesos without any gear. Once inside they try to get as much money as they can from you. Goggles, flippers, lockers. All extra money. Plus you cant bring your own light to explore. Cannot even go to the better cenote “bat cave” without paying a guide 800 pesos. Seriously disappointed. Won’t come back, and will advise others to not go. Feeling used.
Ben W — Google review
100% worth it, the cave snorkel was absolutely magical. Saw bats, eels, fish and a tarantula. I think it’s over priced, $88 usd for two people but I’m still glad we did it. Drinks in the park and souvenirs are overpriced. All equipment for snorkel and lockers included in price
Megan — Google review
Moy (Moses) was our guide and he was really good at English and gave us lots of freedom to explore the cave. It was our first cenote and he made us feel safe and welcomed. Highly recommend the guided tour, the bat cave was incredible. Once you get to the gate you can buy your tickets there and then drive in.

Playa Pescadores, located near the famous Tulum ruins, is a stunning beach with crystal-clear turquoise waters and soft white sands. Accessible from the south side of the national park for a small fee, this picturesque spot offers a tranquil escape from the bustling tourist beaches in Tulum. While there are fishing boats dotting the shoreline and limited dining options, it's an ideal place to soak up the sun and capture beautiful photos of local fishermen.
Beautiful absolutely beautiful! visited the Myah ruins in Tulum on probably the hottest day ever! There is little to no shade. So make sure you have an umbrella or hat to shade off some of the hot sun. There is only one sitting area with shade and that’s on the way out. The beach you pay extra it’s not included with the admission but the beach is absolutely gorgeous and a welcome treat after walking in the heat. Oh also be prepared to pay again once you get inside the Myna Ruins. Some kind tax I think it was like 35 peso or something like that. To sum it up you’re gonna pay probably about 50 or so bucks but it’s worth it. Oh and you can’t bring in plastic bottles you can bring beer cans and refillable water containers, but no plastic bottles. Enjoy!
Gennessa C — Google review
Free public beach, easy access. Enjoyed it more than the other side of beach road where all the major beach clubs are since it was more quiet and peaceful.
Lis M — Google review
This is a beautiful beach with fine white sand. The boat rides which I paid 600 pesos for was very short. We viewed the archaeological site for a max of 5 minutes and the captain of this tiny boat with 7 on board almost grabbed my phone to take a picture of me. It was kind but felt a bit rushed. Next we went to see the sea turtles and rays and some colourful fish snorkeling. They dropped bait off the boat to draw them in. All in all it is a short adventure and although beautiful, the whole event felt staged Later I swam on my own with my own snorkel and was able to see a ray and some fish further out. I will say that the people were very friendly as were the other passengers on the boat.

Updated - It is a public beach but it is not free. Since this is inside the national park you have to pay to enter the park ($3 US). The government has added a fancy entrance monument to this beach and a guy is there to check if you have a bracelet indicating you paid to enter the park. Unfortunately the days of parking on the road and walking in for free are over. There is a parking lot for cars, scooter lock up bar and bike rack. This beach offers boat tours, snorkeling and other venders. You can get a massage and there are bars. There is one area with palm trees that you can get under for some shade (no charge).
Mark P — Google review
Enter from the south side of the national park. 60 pesos per person to enter the national park (they take credit cards) Parking lot was available for 300 pesos. You can take a chance and drive all the way to the ruin entrance. 50/50 chance to get free parking there. Ruins cost 95 pesos per person (cash only) Ruins are not really worth it. But if you are into that stuff and need something to do. Go for it. The beach itself was ok, just chilled for an hour or so to get some sun. They have snorkeling available here as well.
Ming L — Google review
It’s a pretty beach and has nice sand that extends out far out into the water, unlike other beaches in the area which tend to be more rocky. Unfortunately, it has lots of seaweed this time of year, and that really detracts from its beauty.
Brian W — Google review
One of the amazing Carrabian beaches inside the natural Park, you need to pay 61 pesos to get there which is worth it! Wonderful white sand turquoise water. Perfect for adults, waves are too rough for children.

Nice and clean beach, not too crowded. Make sure to do the 1h snorkel trip to see turtles and mantas (they are fed on the spot so you are guaranteed to see them). We paid 200 MXN but could have negotiated less, we felt it was the right price for the experience.

It was a nice area. Was fairly clean and well kept. On-site had a buffet style eating area, free drink with the price to eat. Small souvenir shop, sold watershoes shirts and some smaller items. We only went to the one water pool as I wasn't aware of how to get to the second location, haha. Change areas were next to the shower. You have to rinse yourself and that before entering the pools. There are lockers free to use. Don't mind the terrible food image. The food was really good.

Great area, visited on Sunday during spring break and hardly anyone there, only a couple cars. Nice and relaxing. Two cenotes on site, one above ground and one below ground. Families that own the area keep it nice, staff was friendly. We visited Tulum first and it was very refreshing to have these nearby.
Dale S — Google review
A tourist trap! We were totally scammed in there - the access to the cenote is not well marked. We arrived to the nearby cenote and were not informed that the entry fee is 400 pesos. We ended up spending five minutes in a dirty water and only after that were informed that the access costs 400 pesos. Believe me, it’s not worth it! They drive in there hundreds of tourists and sell it as an authentic experience. Access to the cenote is awful. Avoid it!
Anna A — Google review
Good location with two cenotes on site. They have their own souvenir shop and food is available on site. Set up more for tourist busses and vans, but individual vehicles can go there. Unfortunately there is a property on the route that blocks the road with a rope expecting payment to pass. It is not mandatory, and if no one is there, just move the rope and drive through. Hammocks available to relax in the shade.

Great experience! You get a locker to set your belongings and clothes. When you go into the center you do have to wear a life vest for safety purposes. Very cool to experience the outside and the under ground cave! When we got there the ladder section under the cave was blocked off and out of order, but beautiful place to relax!

OMG this cenote was so fun! The water here was SUPER FRESH and COLD! The best water I swam in during my stay in Mexico. This place has lockers for you to put your stuff in while you hope in the relaxing water. We saw bats flying around the caves while swimming. There are lots of areas with high rocks where you can accidentally kick the rock and deep spots where you can’t touch the floor. It’s so fun to see everyone’s reactions getting into the cold water. They provide you with a MANDATORY LIFE-VEST styled floatation device. You have to PRE-SHOWER before jumping into the cenote to get any chemicals your body has on to stop it from hurting the fresh water ecosystem in place. I enjoyed every minute of it with my wife and I’m sure you will too! Bring your own towel! P.S. They have swings in the cenote. Watch for bees and flys.
