Points of Interest & Landmarks
Two Lovers Point, or Puntan Dos Amantes, is a breathtaking lookout perched 368 feet above the stunning Tumon Bay in Guam. This iconic site not only offers panoramic views of the sparkling Philippine Sea and lush landscapes but also carries a poignant legend. According to local lore, it was here that two star-crossed lovers, unable to unite due to familial opposition, tied their hair together and leaped from the cliff in despair.
Our visit to Two Lovers Point was filled with joy and meaning even under the intense afternoon sun, we were all smiles. Being islanders ourselves, there's something comforting and familiar about basking in the warmth of the sun with the ocean breeze on your face. It was a beautiful day, and we were truly happy to be there. One thing we were especially looking forward to was seeing the iconic sculpture of the two lovers. Unfortunately, due to the recent typhoon that hit Guam, the statue had been toppled. It was a bit of a letdown, but we completely understand and we genuinely hope that by the time we return to the island, the statue will once again stand tall, ready to welcome visitors like us for that long-awaited photo. Despite that, the place still held a deep sense of reverence and romance. We offered a quiet prayer for those whose names are etched in the stone, remembering their sacrifices during the war. And seeing the locks people had placed along the railings, each with written notes, names, and messages of love was truly heartwarming. It's beautiful to witness these gestures of devotion and hope. I silently prayed that the spirit of the Two Lovers will guard every promise made there, and that love, in all its forms, will endure, kept safe by the very soul of this breathtaking place.

It’s a beautiful place. The view is breathtaking. Front ticketing people were so welcoming and gave awesome service. Guy gave us a discount for our tickets to enter. So much beautiful spots to take lovely photos. It is extremely HOT, so do prepare yourself for the heat and sun.
Mercy R — Google review
A truly beautiful spot to take pictures of the bay from high up on the cliff. The water below is a gorgeous cyan blue, my camera didn't do it justice, you have to come to see it with your own eyes. And I came on a pretty overcast day, imagine if it's beautiful and sunny out. I was still incredibly happy to visit. You don't even need to pay the $3 to go up the stairs to the vantage point, there are plenty of spots from which to take nice pictures from. Props if you have a drone, definitely come check this place out.
Lucas M — Google review
Such a lovely place both for the views and the special meaning of the site. We enjoyed the legend of the spot but also the fact that many couples come here to share the experience. There is a small admission fee to go up the viewing area, and you can purchase a love lock to leave with a message. Bring water, sunscreen and a hat!
Lynn D — Google review
A man's face in the shores on one side, a woman's face in the rocks on the other side. A great view overlooking the ocean with a large cliffside down to a beautiful shore. Cheap $3 entrance fee well worth the view.
James L — Google review
Beautiful spot to do a quick look around. You have to pay $3 to climb a few stairs and get the real look but we could see plenty with out it. Little souvenir shop on site. Cool little 9-11 memorial there.
Michael N — Google review
it's still one of the few tourist spots in guam but save them 3 dollars. the view is still great outside the overlook

Ypao Beach is a popular bayside park in Tumon, Guam, known for its fine sand beach and coral-filled waters. It is the largest and oldest beach in Tumon, offering grassy areas for picnics, an amphitheater, barbecue spots, and airy pavilions. Families are drawn to this beach due to its amenities.
Nice beach! There are showers right at the beach and a public bathroom. Plenty of parking too. There weren’t any lockers etc so I just left my stuff on the beach and prayed they don’t get stolen (they didn’t). I did a little bit of snorkeling 🤿 and saw a lot of fish and plenty of corals not too far from the beach. The water was pretty calm, but it’s not very shallow. I couldn’t touch the ground just 30-40ft in. Very good snorkling overall though.
Jia Y — Google review
Best beach for snorkeling. There are water shower and public bathrooms, but no shops around. Better bring your own tools. Recommend going there in the morning when water is crystal clear.
Jayhawks N — Google review
one of the best beaches (as well as ritidian) in guam super shallow, clean and warm water perfect for snorkeling
Gracy B — Google review
Great place for a day at the beach! The water is almost always calm because of the reef. Swimming, paddle boarding and snorkeling are fun things to do in the water.
John G — Google review
My hubby and I held our wedding ceremony there. This has now become my favourite beach on Guam! The water is very clean, ideal for snorkelling. You may witness a variety of tropical fish and coral. It's unfortunate to see some coral in poor health, yet there are those that are thriving. The water is extremely shallow, however certain sections are deeper. It's an ideal location for snorkelling or swimming for fitness!
Faye W — Google review
Beautiful water, great place for beginner snorkeling. Lifeguard and rinse off water. Family friendly
Amber C — Google review
Best beach on Guam for snorkeling! It's actually deep enough to swim around. Lots of colorful fish. I like to go in the mornings or afternoons.

Gun Beach, located at the northernmost point of Tumon in Guam, is known for its stunning beach views and excellent snorkeling opportunities. Accessible with a short walk or drive from Crowne Plaza Resort Guam, this beach features the remains of a World War II Japanese artillery gun. Snorkeling here is best on calm water days and recommended for experienced swimmers due to strong currents. The area boasts incredible coral and fish, making it a paradise for underwater exploration.
Walk out along the pipes and pass the breaks for some great snorkeling. Gets really deep. I would wear fins and a vest in your not a great swimmer. Visibility can be great. Great for diving as well. Lots of sea with very large turtles in their cleaning station.
Rich J — Google review
Visited the island for work and discovered this beautiful beach close by Hilton resort for stunning sunset view. Quite easy to find and accessible with parkings. There is a nice restaurant on the beach as well but I have not got a chance to try out. Highly recommend!
Minh N — Google review
Nice beach with animals, snorkeling, swimming, and more. Parking close by. An old, WWII Japanese gun emplacement on one end of the beach, too. Be careful with the coral, stay off it or else it will shred your feet.
Pbandj37 — Google review
Absolutely breath taking. Was told you had to hike to the top to see the WW2 gun but no, it's right on the beach. There was a small hiking trail that took you out to the front of the rock, helped you see around the corner but thats it. Really cool to see a part of WW2 history. Very beautiful white sands and bright blue crystal clear water.
Michael N — Google review
This was such a cool place! The tide was low and the rocks weren’t sharp like some other places on the island. And there was some wave action!!! We walked around on the rocks to the next cove over by The Beach House restaurant! We saw sea stars, sea cucumbers and caves along the way! It was so cool! We saw bright fish too! Water shoes recommended just to make sure you don’t step on anything weird!! Come here and enjoy yourself on a quiet beach with shady spots!!!
Tara L — Google review
Good snorkeling with lots of fishes to see.
Dina C — Google review
Beautiful beach!!! Snorkeling was fun with large varieties of beautiful live corals and colorful fish! An easy hike to FaiFai beach, but you have to wade in the water to go through because the gun emplacement trail is out of commission for a while. The water is shallow enough—I saw little kids with parents doing it. Drivers can use the additional parking area for Nikki hotel—great times had by all!!
Rodney H — Google review
Underrated beach! There's plenty of parking and beach for everyone because it's extremely quiet here. There's also a restaurant right on the beach for food and drinks. Good spot for swimming, diving, paddle boarding, kids to run around and swim, and just to chill out away from all the tourist areas.

Shopping
Micronesia Mall is Guam's largest shopping destination, offering a diverse retail experience with familiar chain stores like Macy's and Foot Locker, as well as local vendors showcasing authentic island crafts and unique delicacies. The mall features a 12-screen theater, an amusement park with thrilling rides, and a food court offering traditional Chamorro cuisine alongside international delights. Additionally, visitors can explore the 24-hour Pay-Less Supermarket for their grocery needs.
Guam's premiere mall for entertainment, shopping, food, and fun. Today's visit was for Häagen-Dazs ice cream and a fruit smoothie from one of the newer shops at the mall.
W P — Google review
It is located about 3 kilometres from Tumon. Macy's is a good place to go for good value products like Rosso and Macy's department store .
V I — Google review
It's like stepping back in the late 90s. Lots of events happen each week. Arcade recently closed down, but there's multiple kids play areas (paid). Lots of food selections to choose from. There's a theater and grocery store as well.
Chris — Google review
Large mall with a lot of stores. Massive food court, if you can't find a food you like then you don't eat food. Movie theater is a nice addition. Opens at 1000, and not a second earlier.
Matthew A — Google review
Not terrible. Has a wide range of parking/parking garages with sky bridges to access parts of the mall. Does have a good variety of shops, whether that be groceries, electronics, clothes, shoes, hairdressers etc..all within a short walk of each other. It was honestly pleasant exploring a mall again and the shops. Will likely return for niche finds or end up back at Macy's again. Oh yeah, they have a Ross that had a massive line stretching around parts of the store. It do be like that for them cheap deals. 👍
Michael L — Google review
This mall was pretty decent, has alot of food choices and the ross was sooo much better than the GPO.
Lana B — Google review
Nice mall and always busy. They have a lot of community events . Lots of tourists and a busy food court. I would like to see Live Music there, which would elevate the experience. My only criticism is that they have the weirdest and Very Inconvenient practice of closing all toilets at the same time!!!??? Figure that one out!
Mark M — Google review
This is a nice shopping mall if not the only shopping mall here on Guam. There is a variety of stores and food selections located in this mall as well as a supermarket attached to it. You really can’t complain about it when you’re in such a small island.

History Museums
The Pacific War Museum, located in the Chief Quipuha Park on the Paseo de Susana peninsula just north of downtown, is a private museum dedicated to preserving the history of World War II in the Pacific. It houses an extensive collection of military artifacts such as weapons, uniforms, planes, and vehicles from that era. The museum offers visitors a chance to learn about Guam's role in WWII through exhibits showcasing both Japanese and American perspectives.
I would like to extend my greatest appreciation and gratitude to the persons behind preserving this kind of historic and significant part of our history. Thank you for a warm welcome and making us belong. ❤
Shiena A — Google review
Oh, no... The museum is abandoned!😱😭 I have a feeling that it happened even before typhoon Mawar. Artillery is overgrown with bushes. It would be great if someone could update Google maps info, because it still shows that the museum is open.
Dance A — Google review
Stopped by today and the place is definitely still closed. I did not see any signs that work was being done to reopen. There was a partial sign posted on the door stating the museum is closed, but no indication if or when it will reopen.
John P — Google review
When I first got there there was no one in the front to greet us. It costs 3 dollars per person for entry. It is very small it took about 15 or so minutes to see everything. It had one wing for the American and the other for the Japanese. It had pictures of each side and description each picture. Each wing had actual weapons and ammunition for the period. Medals and rank of the military men. Venturing outside it had vehicles and anti tank guns on display and you can actually enter them, which I didn't enter myself because I saw a few spider webs in them. Overall if you're a history buff, I recommend it.
Yogi B — Google review
Fantastic! One hell of a private collection. Lots to read and look at. Very friendly owner and very well maintained. Thanks.

Absolutely DELICIOUS pretzels!🥨😚😉 Made to order in 15 minutes and ready to enjoy! I prefer Auntie Anne's over Pretzel Maker because of how chewy these pretzels come out! Pretzel Perfection!🙌🏼💕🥰

Guam Premier Outlets is a fantastic spot for shopping and dining. The popular brands are not as many compared to other outlets in the mainland but still offering great deals. The food court has diverse options, and the atmosphere is vibrant and inviting. Parking is convenient with plenty of spaces available. A must-visit destination for all shopaholics tourist
Edward C — Google review
They don’t even really do security in their parking lot unlike the other mall. It’s no wonder people can get away with things in their parking lot on the Ross side. You got people messing around in their cars publicly, you got homeless running around walking ip to people opening their car doors. They’re just waiting for another big thing to happen in their parking lot before they actually get any real security. Literally just waiting for a tourist to be on the receiving end.
EVD — Google review
Decent size mall for Guam with different retail outlets and restaurants. Main attraction is going to be Ross as it is the biggest one in the island.
Chris — Google review
Due to the strength of the dollar and the lack of variety in the products (items I purchased last year in California were displayed like a major product), they are not much attractive to tourists. However, shopping at Ross was satisfactory.
CHANGHO L — Google review
average mall, definitely not a 'premier' or an 'outlet'
Gracy B — Google review
Visit to Guam will never be complete without going to one of its malls. Guam Premier Outlets or GPO is the first mall I chose because I thought it was bigger and therefore more stores. When I got there, it was not that big but there was a lot of good choices. Ross, Tommy Hilfiger, Famous Footwear, Levi’s, ABC store are just some of the stores. The food court had Subway, Panda Express, Taco Bell, Charley’s Philly Steak, to name a few. The mall was clean, orderly. Most people you’ll would be at Ross, where you can get branded stuff at discounted prices. All in all, the mall was worth the visit.

Tumon Bay is a bustling area in Guam, offering a variety of attractions and accommodations. The oldest chain hotel on the island provides 658 rooms tailored to families, business guests, and island revelers. It features onsite restaurants, bars, a cafe, convenience store, shops, water park and entertainment options. Additionally, Tumon Bay offers stunning views from Two Lovers Point where visitors can admire the gleaming white-sand beaches and lush hillside along the Philippine Sea.
Protected marine preserve. Tidal bay is walkable from one side to the other at low tide - spectacular shallow water driving at high tide. Primarily Acropora recolonisation, (young) giant clam mantles are easy to spot in the crystal clear water, wild zooanthids are starting to colonize... Active conservation (rebuilding) efforts are thinly veiled with numerous aquaculture plugs apparent. The effort is appreciated after the ecological tragedy of the 1990s dredging... IN A WORD? It's SPECTACULAR! If you've ever wanted to dive into an Indo-Pacific reef tank - this is your chance. You may even find yourself within 5 meters of a 2 meter long puffer fish... I'm sure he comes to dine there regularly.
Brant H — Google review

Tumon Beach is a coastal area in Guam that offers a variety of activities such as snorkeling, fishing, and sunbathing. It also provides lodging, dining options, and entertainment. The beach holds historical remnants from World War II like Japanese bunkers and weapons at Gun Beach. Visitors can explore the Padre San Vitores Shrine to revisit the Spanish era or admire the statue of Archbishop Felixberto Flores near Guam Premier Outlets.
The water is crystal clear and the depth is perfect for the whole family to play together. It is a recommended water play destination.

The sand is super smooth, and the water is clear. You can see the fish swimming around. Depending on a season or day of the week, the place can get busy, as there are hotels and bars around the beach. There are chairs with parasols, safety vests, and floaties available for rent, but it's stupid pricey ($35 for an hour to rent two chairs? yeah, no). You can easily leave your stuff on the sand. We always kept an eye on it while in the water and never had an issue.
Elena K — Google review
Beautiful beach with a lot of chairs and umbrellas to chill at! It is rather touristy due to all the resorts, but is perfect for families. The water is less clear than Ypao Beach and there are less fish (so not as great for snorkeling), but can't complain overall. There are also restaurants and ABC stores nearby, so you can easily get cold refreshments.
Krystal E — Google review
crystal clear water, super soft white sand. even if you're not staying in dusit thani, must visit this beach

Clear water, pretty still, and you can walk a bit far out without having to feed water. Def bring water shoes. Rocks and coral. Also bring your snorkel or buy one at the ABC store for $25 and see all the fishies

Great beach to relax and chill at. Pretty busy beach but it is big so it was not very crowded there was plenty of space to relax and chill out on the beach or go for a swim. Multiple parking areas available the beach has multiple restaurants and hotels along it. Very cool beach to just relax in the nice weather with a cold beer on a hot sunny day. Recommend going if you are in Guam if you want a nice beach to hang out at.

Kmart is a well-known chain store offering a wide range of products including home goods, apparel, and furniture. It also features daily deals and celebrity brands. The Kmart in Guam is particularly noteworthy for its size and comprehensive selection, making it a convenient stop for travelers looking to purchase essentials or souvenirs at affordable prices. Additionally, the store's availability of various living essentials in one place has earned it the reputation of being a superstore, similar to Walmart.
Came here for a blast from the past, and it's HUGE and way better than any Walmart or target anyway. Really clean store with great cheap clothes and other stuff. Awesome selection of guam gifts that beats abc store also.
Brandon D — Google review
It is much cheaper than ABC Mart and has a lot of industrial products. If you want to buy a gift set, I recommend you to stop by this side and buy them all at once. The types of snacks are very cheap. Character shampoo is popular with children. I think it would be better to induce gifts there than toys. There is a pizza shop in the mart, and you can get a nice pizza at about $11. I recommend you to try it.

I have not been to a K-Mart in at least 20 years, maybe even 25 years. Walking in the door was like a nostalgic trip to the late 90s (and not in a bad way). This place is everything I remember about K-Mart from my youth it even looks like it did in the 90s, just with newer merchandise. Lots of good stuff at fair prices, ample parking (you can even park on the roof!) and friendly workers. There are even Blue Light Specials! Drop by here and enjoy some nostalgia and good prices!

A charming K-Mart that throws you back into the early 2000s with everything you can imagine including souvenirs. Very accessible as its in the middle of the city and also the world’s largest K-Mart! One of the only few left! Cheap food at the Little Caesars inside. I had never been to a K-Mart despite living my whole life in the US and I enjoyed this little trip while on vacation. Felt like a tourist.

If you’re visiting Guam and looking for souvenirs, Kmart has a great variety. They’re not cheap, though, so I’d suggest shopping around first and seeing what other touristy shops in Tumon have got. I am impressed with their candy selection - so many varieties from the US and Asia, including some that are packaged differently than their counterparts on the mainland.

Open 24 hours it’s the only game in town in Guam for late night cravings. There’s a Little Ceasar’s pizza inside. It seems they have a lot of stuff, but not everything. The staff were pleasant but it seems that they lack staff and most look overworked. I had to change lanes 3 times because of computer/register errors (went in for snacks and waited 20mins to check out)

Senator Angel Leon Guerrero Santos Latte Stone Memorial Park is a commemorative park featuring a statue of Chamorro activist Angel Leon Guerrero and eight stone pillars. Visitors can explore the Guam Museum, the Guam Legislature Building, Hagatna Latte Stone Park, War in the Pacific National Historical Park, and other sites on Guam. The Talofofo Beach and Bay offers a unique experience with its varying colors of sand and rare green hues caused by Olivine minerals.

Just a local park, has some dilapidated signs and a bathroom. There're some reconstructed latte stones and a signboard. No parking, parked across the street
Kevin — Google review
Repair works going on at present so most of the park is closed off, except the latte stones.
Peter E — Google review
Not interesting to see😩 My guide book recommended to visit, but I won’t come again. Found stones and people smoking on a bench. 5 min is enough to see all in the park. Better to go to the Spanish garden next to it.

Calm and nice place to experience the original latte stones

Since the stones are vital to the island's history, everyone must visit the park and see them. The park itself, however, is mostly neglected.
Amir A — Google review
The park was a bit rundown and fairly uninteresting. They have a recreation on some lattes and a bomb shelter from WWII, which you cant go into. With a bit of landscaping and some cleanup, this could be a nice park.

The theater production Encore Guam Magic Show is a very entertaining show that is perfect for all ages. The friendly staffs and great show make it an excellent choice for anyone visiting Guam. The only downside is that animals were involved in some of the shows, which may not be appropriate for all children. However, the white lion act in particular was very impressive and enjoyable for both children and adults.
Had a fun experience! The cast and crew were amazing! Would definitely recommend to friends and family! Hank was funny! And Anthony was AMAZING! The ladies were so lovely!! If you haven’t seen them yet, YOU MUST!!! 10/10 came out happy

The magic show was awesome! The kids and I had a great experience. It is very kid friendly and my kids were fortunate enough to be a part of the show. They can’t stop talking about it and we are already planning our next booking. I have told family and friends about it and they’re ready to book as well. Mr. Hank Rice is hilarious and Mr. Anthony Reed is mesmerizing to watch. We will be back. From Jethro and Zyva.
Cristian A — Google review
It was a fantastic magic show for the whole family. The performance was filled with nonstop excitement in a short time, and the magician’s passion and energy lit up the stage. Kids were amazed, and adults were equally entertained. Highly recommended for families looking for a fun and impressive show.
JaeBum A — Google review
It was so good I couldn’t leave. I needed the bathroom for most of the act, and I refused to leave. I knew I’d rather stay and hold it and suffer than to get up, miss the show and still suffer. 🪄 It was such a novel experience. It felt like such a vintage form of entertainment that they made It new again. The magician had a way of making the crowd feel a togetherness with comedy, wonderment and amusement. Each act was a delight, my favorite was the act with Steele ball’s and the cowboy act (two separate acts 😂) It’s a must see definitely recommend to go with friends. There is adequate refreshments and snacks, but we’re really there for the show.

What a great show! Truly an entertaining event that included comedy and amazing optical illusions with a touch of danger. Anthony Reed and his crew delivered a performance that was beyond expectations, worthy of shows found in Las Vegas! Hank Rice kept us rolling with his comical antics and magical tricks! Such a great combination of fun! They include audience participation and create lasting memories, making it great for the entire family to enjoy. This is one of Guam's best little secrets that everyone should know about!

This was an amazing show. I saw it on the TV and at the front entrance of the crown plaza. I highly recommend anyone to come here who likes magic or wants to see an entertaining show. I personally love magic and it was really great. Who knew that the crown plaza would have such a great magician performing. Please note it's only on Tuesdays and Fridays, show starting at 8pm

FaiFai Beach is a hidden gem offering a peaceful and serene experience away from the usual tourist crowds. The long stretch of powdery white sands provides ample space for relaxation and sunbathing. Lush trees along the beach offer shaded areas, perfect for family picnics, while swings and hammocks provide opportunities to unwind while taking in sweeping views. This secluded destination boasts crystal-clear waters, abundant fish to admire, and plenty of space to perfect your tan.
A nice, secluded beach just around the corner from the more crowded Gun Beach. To get here, you need to walk Gun Beach, around the cliff and you are there. I went during low tide and it was an easy walk around the cliff. Not sure about when tides are up. It appears there use to be a path cut into the rock face, but apparently it was washed out during a recent typhoon. Lots of wildlife to see here. Fish, crabs, birds, butterflies, and more. I happened upon a tree covered in butterflies. A number of them took off when I walked by. It was like watching BBC's "Planet Earth" live.
Pbandj37 — Google review
To reach out this beach, you need to go to the Gun beach first and then either swim or walk in the sea to pass the rocky side which splits the two beaches. There’s no wooden bridge or steps to use. I sunbathed fully naked because there was no one except me. There is no big difference between the Gun beach and this beach, therefore if you don’t want to sunbath naked, no need to go to this beach.
PJ — Google review
Beautiful, secluded beach for watching the sunset or exploring tide pools! It's too shallow for true swimming, but perfect for a walk or exploring.
Krystal E — Google review
Fantastic! (I have been here after Typhoon Mawar May, June, July, Aug 2023) A pretty much secluded beach, clothing optional / nude area. Enter Gun beach, follow beach to right. Walk around the rock cliff that goes in the water, 20-45 seconds walk around the cliff in the water (only go during low tide) the old 'bridge' and stairs are gone. The water is shallow at low tide, sometimes allowing you to walk without touching water. There is a abandoned building. Keep walking and around the little bend are big boulders. Clothing optional/ nude beach section (unofficial)
Victor L — Google review
Beautiful powder sand beach, easily accessible with a nice new plank bridge to help you around the cliff side. It’s a fairly easy walk and is easy enough with small kids. My kids loved collecting hermit crabs, and we saw some monitor lizard tracks on the beach. It is very shallow for snorkeling, but you can walk through the coral fairly easily. There’s a cave and a great view of Two Lover’s Point at the end. We saw plenty of big blue starfish near the beach. Would be a beautiful place to watch the sunset as well.
Ashley C — Google review
This is a very nice Secluded beach, he take a little trail along with the edge of the cliff that’s a little overgrown and then down to the water the bridge is out so be careful. Definitely will want to bring some shoes or sandals.
Wez S — Google review
Parked behind hotel Nikko and hiked about 20 ish minutes to reach Faifai beach via access thru Gun Beach. It was low tide so perfect to walk thru alongside the cliff where gun beach is and being water shoes! The trail that supposedly goes around and alongside the cliff side of gun beach ends up where there used to be planks that you could walk across to get to the point of access to faifai but doesn’t exist anymore as seen in picture Pretty secluded beach and we had it all to ourselves which was awesome! Great place to snorkel even in low tide and I was able to get out past the reef
Ian R — Google review
Great beach to spend the day or catch the sunset! It's a quick hike over from Gun Beach, and usually not very crowded. The stairs on the path over are pretty steep so use caution if you're hiking with little ones. Also a good place to look for blue star fish!

The Guam Museum, established in 2014, is a modern institution that offers a comprehensive look into the history and culture of Guam. Visitors can explore exhibits and artifacts that showcase the island's diverse heritage, from the ancient Chamorro civilization to the World War II era. One of its notable displays tells the story of Sgt. Shoichi Yokoi, a Japanese soldier who remained hidden in rural Guam until 1972. The museum also features a cafe and shop for visitors to enjoy.
A very well put together and thought out museum in a beautifully designed building. Definitely worth the visit for history buffs. It features the human history of Guam.
Corey K — Google review
ON 28 June attended the last in a 4 part series that enlightened the Chomorro experience through it's history. This 4th installment focused mostly on the WWII years and was magnificently presented through film and panel discussions. It ended unexpectedly by taking a dark anti US Military position relayed by a 30 year old women through her poem urging the removal of Naval and all military presence from Guam. It really dampened our experience.
Steve R — Google review
I was impressed by the beautiful scenery, but since I visited on a Sunday, it was closed and I couldn't see inside the museum. It's a shame as it is one of the top five most famous places in Guam.

Definitely a place to visit when in Guam. Admission is cheap at only $3 a person, but bring cash just in case their credit card system is down. We learned a lot about the history of the island, and saw artifacts we've never seen before. The people if Guam did excellent job designing the museum itself, and were fantastic in their explanations of the rich Chamoru culture.

Touched by the film of the Journey of Chamoru People. Thought Guam museum is not so big ,the exhibition is plentiful. We learned the Chamoru culture and Guam history here, stayed for more than one hour. Open from Tuesday to Friday now. 10am to 2pm with limit people.

I’ve had to call ahead couple days to reserve a time slot for the museum tour. Went on 3/3/22 at 10am and there was only another family and ours while we were there in the time slot. Got the whole museum to be able to roam and learn about Guam’s history and the CHamoru ancestors and it was very informational. You get to watch a 9 minute short movie prior to walking thru the museum and then there are two floors to be able to read, interact and view what made Guam It was $3/ per person and kids are free Parking available alongside the building and very close to chamorro village where there were food trucks outside in the back as well during lunch time on a Thursday

Just nearby, there's a delightful zoo to explore, making it an ideal blend of leisure and adventure for all ages.
Nice beach with family-friendly environment. The distance from the parking lot to beach wasn't bad. There is a shower & restroom. It looks like there could be lifeguards but there wasn't when I visited which was on weekday from afternoon to sunset.

Got the recommendation from local celeb Lybia Chun (thank you!). There are not a lot of tourists and the beach was not crowded at all. Finding the entrance via car was a little challenging. You have to enter by the zoo and then turn left once in the main lot. Drive towards the end of the lot and the parking lot for the beach is on the right for close access. You can also park by the zoo and use the pedestrian path (the zoo is currently closed because of COVID). The water is so calm and warm. There is very little coral. This is the ideal beach for swimming - no strong currents, pretty shallow, and there is a lifeguard on duty. Si Yu'os Ma'åse' (thank you)!

Matapang Beach is located in Tumon Bay. This beach is one of the few beaches, not only on the shore, but also covered with sand in the water, without stones and corals. Matapang Beach is very shallow, so families with children often rest here. There is a zoo near the beach. The sea in this part of Guam is very calm, without currents and strong waves. The water is crystal clear, blue with emerald green iridescence. Matapang Beach is small, clean and well maintained, several holiday houses, picnic areas, shower rooms and toilets. Matapang Beach is a good place for snorkeling, fish are not afraid of people and beautiful coral reefs are located near the beach. There are many canoes on the beach, constantly arriving or swimming on the beach. Many local residents and tourists arrive for special reasons to see the most incredible sunset on Matapang Beach Guam

As public beaches go, its pretty good. A major issue at Matapang is pollution & drunkenness & the lack of parking due to local hotels claiming parking thats not on their property. Theres also an unusual zoo, which smells like neither the health dept nor DPW have visited lately.

Bodies of Water
Mushroom Rock Hilaan Beach is a stunning and quiet beach located at Ritidian Point, the northernmost part of Guam. The beach is part of the Guam National Wildlife Refuge and offers a white sandy shore with well-maintained trails for hiking, including Nature Trail, .75 Latte Loop, and Ritidian Caves. It's advisable to schedule a guided tour through the refuge for an enhanced experience due to strong currents in the area.
Pretty neat feature. It's outside some abandoned tourist complex or bar thing. You can get to it from an easy (compared to a hike) trail along the side of Tanguisson beach through the trees, and then follow the beach all the way to it. Alternatively you can hop around the gated road and walk.. pretty much straight down to either two beach entrances and follow the beach down. Saw a bunch of chamorros grilling on Tanguisson, drinking in the trees, and fishing on the beach. Were nice and paid me no notice eventhough I walked right beside them toward the mushroom rock. Tbh, I HAVE seen a car come and unlock the gate and drove in once another day, so I guess it's not completely abandoned.
Kevin — Google review
Absolutely stunning untouched beach with so little visitors - actually no one :) and the rocks are so picturesque standing out of the water - you can go for a walk, beach for a while or just admire the views :)
Marek Z — Google review
First and foremost: Maps will try to take you down a road that is marked private property. It IS indeed private property. Do not go around the gates block the road. Instead, go down to the beach and follow the shoreline to the right/north. You'll see an open spot. This is where the trail begins that cuts through the peninsula/wooded area. There are a couple of trails going through the peninsula: one takes you to the tip of the peninsula and the other across to the beach. I took some photos of where to cut across, a video of me walking the trial and also a photo of where it comes out. Next important aspect: proper footwear. The trail is old volcanic rock and limestone. It WILL eat your feet. There is also a lot of coral on the beach. If you want to go through it, you either need water shoes or an old pair of shoes that you don't care about ruining. I brought my slippers with me, but chose not to bring them and I believe they would have been an issue for some parts of the trail and beach. Once out of the trail area, you can see the mushroom rocks across the beach. From the trail to the mushroom rocks, it is .3 miles. Explore the area but please do NOT leave any trash. There is enough trash on and around the beach so pack out what you pack in. Once you get to the rocks, you can go past them for some more large, interesting rocks .15 miles down the shore and then a very idyllic, palm tree lined, South Pacific/National Geographic looking beach. Highly recommend checking it out. Also, the private property/road that Maps takes you to, it extends down the beach. The owners have put up NO TRESSPASSING signs. Please abide by them. Of note, I went at low tide. Many people say go at low tide. Low tide exposes the mushroom rocks and shells & sea glass on the shore. Maybe it is best to go at low tide. For parking, park at the beach Maps gets you near. Lock your doors and hide anything of value in your trunk. Many websites have warned of car breakins here and while mine was not, I can foresee this being an issue.
Pbandj37 — Google review
Certainly not the beach you can walk to with barefoot, but it’s worth it with the views, crystal water and fine sands.
Sharing P — Google review
Stunning view. A quiet beach! The trek to get to the rocks goes through the jungle, nothing too wild (ages 4+ can handle it!), Be prepared to climb up over sharp-ish rocks and encounter nature (lizards, banana spiders, etc). I'd not recommend walking on the beach line around from the beach parking area. Volatile water/reef rocks. Go through the forest path. Bring a machete. Wear proper shoes to cover and protect. Lots of little crabs, rocks/cave-like areas to explore. Mudfish. Such a beautiful secluded spot. Lots of broken glass washed up on the beach. The parking area is extremely trashed/littered. If you get there early (9 on a Saturday), you may be able to snag the shady spot under the rock.
Jenna W — Google review
Gorgeous!! Best way we found to get to Mushroom Rock Beach is to park near Tanguisson Beach then hike along the water to the beach. For this reason: I recommend water shoes or sturdy walking/hiking shoes and bring a bag with flip flops if you want to go in the water. The ocean bottom here is more rocky/coral than sand, so you’re really better off with water shoes anyway. There is also limited shade along here so sunscreen, sunglasses, and maybe even a beach umbrella are a must. The MOST key advice though is to check the tide times prior to going and keep an eye on the water coming in. We got lucky…almost got stuck as there were a few spots we had walked around giant rocks or under them to get further along the beach and as we left, the water almost prevented us from going the same route and we could have gotten stuck there!
Erin V — Google review
A nice secluded beach with calm waters. I was a bit afraid at first using the trail. There are a bunch of signs posted saying no trespassing and private property. But the locals ignored them and went around the gate. So did I. Lots of beautiful fish and quite a few of the blue starfish to be found. Great for snorkeling.
CarLo T — Google review
Ever wonder where those nice poster cards of Guam were taken? Probably here. A nice quiet and untouched area from the bustling noise of Tumon. Great place to enjoy the turquoise water. Can’t stress how important it is for everyone to not be littering and leaving the place in a better shape than when you found it!

The hotel is in a great location and the staff are all very friendly and accommodating. Room was very clean and housekeeping always did a great job. Stayed 8 nights. I rated 4 stars for the room because the room lighting was too dim, especially at night. Bathroom light was way too dark. Couldn't use the mirror to get ready.

Good for the price. Room had a weird musty smell everytime reentering, likely due to swimmers using the hotel. It went away after the AC was turned on. Staff was very nice and allowed us to store our bags after checkout and before our flight. Plenty of parking if you rent a car and there is shopping nearby. It wasn't a wow hotel, however I was satisfied for our two night stay. Note-they didn't have car rental on site as advertised and the Nissen company the partner with site wasn't working, even when they tried. We ended up walking about 20 mins to Nippon Rental to get a car. Taxi is very expressive and even have a luggage fee.

I got absolutely hammered here in 2017 and literally threw up in every single trash can in the room. I left everything as I used it and never even so much as heard a peep via email or phone about the condition I left the room. Incredible. - USN

1. I arrived there at 5:30AM hoping to get an early check in because my flight arrived at 4AM. It doesn’t matter if I have to pay for it. Unfortunately, I have to wait until 8AM to be checked in. 2. What I don’t like is that they don’t have lift to go to 3rd floor. I have to carry my heavy luggage from the 2nd floor up to the 3rd floor. No one bothered to help me when I asked. So that afternoon, I had to call them to transfer me to a room at 2nd floor once there’s an availability. 3. A cockroach welcomed me in my room. 4. This is the first hotel that I checked in with that doesn’t have a complimentary breakfast even though I booked through their website. 5. The hotel attractions are all under maintenance. The only good thing about this hotel is that it is walking distance from the beach and restaurants.

Why am I placed in a room amongst the fun loud party guests? (Located on the non high rise portion of the hotel) Was that intentional? lol. I was hoping to get quality sleep. P.S. I'm literally a "tourist" too.... What were they thinking when I got assigned this room? lol
J G — Google review
Mid-price hotel in the middle of the tourist area. It’s an older hotel but well maintained. Rooms are comfortable. The only problem I ran into was a noisy AC unit but it didn’t stop me sleeping well. The hotel rooms themselves are quiet since they’re situated away from the main road outside. There are a couple of restaurants inside that I didn’t try. There’s also a well stocked shop in the lobby. The hotel is attached to a shopping center with a TGI Fridays downstairs. Good for a beer 🍺 and standard American fare. The central location makes it convenient for shopping, if that’s your thing, but it’s just a few minutes across the road to the beach. More my thing. Front desk service is good. Receptionists are friendly and very helpful. Taxis are available at the lobby ($28 to the airport at the time of writing). The free bus that runs along the strip also has a stop in front of the hotel. Didn’t try the pool and it didn’t look like the lazy river was open while I was there.

It was a small but nice aquarium. I do wish it had had a bit more to see but it was a good time and the staff was great. I did the Sea Trek underwater adventure and that was a lot of fun. I wish there had been a bit more to see there but it was cool to hang out with a stingray, a sea turtle, some leopard sharks and a bunch of fish. The guys that went in the tank with me were awesome and made it fun.

Just a short walk from the Westin, this little aquarium was a peaceful escape. The entrance through the underwater tunnel was magical—it reminded me how much I love aquariums. Though it’s not huge, it packs in a great look at Guam’s marine life. Bonus points for offering a military discount. It made for a relaxing and worthwhile afternoon activity.

I remember in the past this place had many dishes and decor making the place look beautiful in the water but the new one is just ok. There was barely any fish and you can just see construction? Don’t know what it’s called , you’re basically paying a high amount of money for an unfinished aquarium. Very underwhelming (I didn’t directly take pic of the construction thing but if u zoom in the first photo the left side u can see)

This small zoo took a special place in my heart. All animals are rescued here. There are pretty rare species too. The owners, Barbara and Jimmy, are such kind and nice people, they actually care about what they do and love every single animal here like their own children. The zoo is very cozy, very very green and it’s actually feels like you are somewhere in the wild. I liked it a lot. I hope they will be able to continue rescue and take care of animals forever. The zoo doesn’t receive any local government help. So I highly recommend to find an hour to visit this place and to help and support these people to continue their mission.

After being closed for a long time the Guam Zoo finally reopened!! Our visit with our 3 year old daughter was truly wonderful and we cannot wait to go again. The Zoo resembles more of an animal sanctuary where one can really get up close and personal with a surprisingly wide variety of creatures including a monkey, sharks, sea turtles, emus, ostriches and a very friendly talking parrot named Angel! The owners are a very kind couple who clearly care deeply about these rescued animals. This Zoo is truly an asset to this island and the community!

Don't forget quarters to feed the goats! They even offer shark feeding for $5. It's on the smaller side but my two year old and his friend had a blast! Shaded! Friendly staff! Parking was full, but they were having an event on the beach, we found parking a couple blocks away. We'll stop back again :)

My wife and kids enjoyed the only zoo on Guam. We went when it wasn’t really busy and it was a great experience for us. They all looked well taken care of and the owner has so much knowledge about each and every one of them. That’s how you know they are in good hands. Can’t wait to visit again with the fam. 🙏🏼

At first I thought the $15 entry fee was a bit much, I soon came to realize that it goes directly to supporting the rescued and endangered animals that live there. More animals than I had anticipated. The couple that own and run the zoo are amazing! Barbara and Jimmy are so knowledgeable and very kind. It's easy to see that they care about thier work and their animals. I went on two separate days within a week. I love it here and highly recommend a visit.

If you’re on the fence about going to the Guam Zoo, this is your sign to GO!!! Such a fun little zoo, perfect for younger kids as it is nice and small, almost completely shaded, and is conveniently fenced so you won’t have to worry about kids running off too far. Even in the heat the shade was so nice and the owner engaged with my kids and made the experience so fun. He has been running the zoo since 1977 and you can tell he has a big heart for the animals and the community of Guam. We will be coming back again and again!! Note: you will need CASH to enter the zoo. He did not charge for my infant. And a bonus: right along the calm waters of Tumon. We had a picnic outside at a covered picnic table right on the beach afterwords!

Its quite expensive for a small zoo. Usually small children get in for free, but this place charges $8. The animals are looking okay. my daughter’s fav was the goats. There are plenty bugs/mosquitoes so make sure to bring some repellent spray.

Highly recommend the owners are very nice people with great hospitality. The animals are all very exotic and cool. You can also get very close to the animals compared to a conventional zoo.
