Nice shopping mall in a great location. A lot of high-end clothing brand stores. There are also some great restaurants to relax in after a shopping spree. Most weekends there are market stalks in the square at the front of the mall. Quite often there's also live music in the afternoon on the weekends. Plenty of parking nearby as well as public transportation.

This is one of the original shopping malls in taichung city. I think it’s popular because of its theater and location There is also a gold class theater which is really comfortable The variety of brands and shops aren’t that great. There are just some random small brands, mostly for young people. It carries just two or three large brand names. There’s a good choice or food, mostly fast food and chain restaurants. It’s a good place to take kids and family since there’s place outside to walk around and toys r us. They have have lots of events and fairs on the weekends in their courtyard. The parking is not great since it’s all mechanical and nearby parking lots are always full because it is city center.

Lovely place ! You can either go to Dogi for shopping, or watch movie upstairs. Furthermore, food court is good, with tons of nice food and snacks there.

Baller level mall. I never really go shopping here just eat the good food and watch the movies in the amazing tier movie theaters. But I mean, they sell Lambos here!

went it to watch imax 3d. first time to try it. as a middle class type of person. this place is not an everyday place to go for me haha.. but it's great, worth the visit maybe once in a while. the mall is elgant and classy

The shopping mall not very big. Taroko Mall. Underground have food court n carrefour mall. H & M outlet can find here. Opposite cross the road are the Taichung train station.

This mall is amazing. There's so much to do–lot's of options for restaurants, shopping and entertainment. I loved that there were plenty of gacha machines and food options. The mall is huge but it's surprisingly chill and not very noisy.

I like this mall a lot. I think the set up is really cool. Its like a large semi circle with so many floors that are themed differently. Uniqlo and H&M are my favorite brands to shop while I am here. I wish there were more options for dining though.

Good family-oriented mall. 24-hr Carrefour. 2 McD outlets. Good variety of retailers and activities. Our go-to mall for years. IMO better than a lot of other malls in Taichung City. Basement parking still being improved. Currently weekend parking is a challenge but street level options are available.

Very convenient mall if you stay right by the station. A lot of places to eat in the Foodcourt (B1). Everything is affordable.

Bowling here was incredibly fun! The lanes were well-maintained, and the atmosphere was lively and welcoming. Highly recommend for a great time with friends.

Nice shopping center with a few nice bits. Only problem is everything is well over priced!!! This is not outlet pricing. The sports shop on the bottom floor is worth a visit for some good value trainers. (New balance, Nike, Adidas etc)

B1 Moshi shop, high quality case and promised warranty.

Some of the shops here offer outlet prices and deals , but the shops that sell bags are a rip off. Not much choice in food either. You can see everything the outlet has to offer in about 10 minutes.

A relatively small outlet shop, if you consider this is an outlet shop. Flipflop shop is a good one, price is reasonable. One thing worth mentioning is the small restaurant (can't remember it's name) at 1st floor that you have to walk downstairs (ground floor) first to get a ticket, then you need to walk up to wait until the waitress to direct you to sit. You then have to mark on the menu what you are having and bring it down to ground floor again, and pay, of course. Again you have to climb up! Doesn't it interesting to require all customers going up and down? (I am 64, still physically fit for doing this, however, I definitely would not after 10 years)

Same month every year, you can expect great deals for their seasonal Outlet Mall Sale. Just visited their 6th floor and got overwhelmed with various quality shoes but in cheaper price!

Great hotel with decent accommodations for friends and family. Often can have great small trips in Taichung staying here and can have laughs with friends in the see through shower.

A bit disappointing really. The mall technically consists of only 3 small floors and most brands here are brands that I have never heard of. A few good brands are: Adidas, Roots, Hush Puppies, Native, Levi's, North face... And a small shop with coach, MK, and Longchamp purses. That's basically it though. Plus the "discounts" didn't feel quite real.

Located across from a large park and next to Intercontinental Hotel. This mall isn’t very big, but it does have a surprisingly spacious bookstore. It’s impressive to see so many books, especially in today’s digital age. They also sell vinyl records and turntables, which are quite rare to find in stores these days. There are several clothing shops, cosmetics, parfume (a lot of) and cute stationery stores. You’ll also find a large bakery, a few restaurants, and some food stalls. This mall is pet friendly.

It’s just an average mall in a big name location: it’s small, but does have a decent 誠品 bookstore; otherwise just go to Mitsukoshi or 大遠百 if you actually need to buy something.

Not a really big shopping mall ! But it has what it needs ! Free wifi available and the food court here is also quite good ! Like the atmosphere here , and it's surrounded by nice parks that host many activities pretty often ! Nice area for a lovely walk !

Always lively. Loads of Street performers, interesting, though sightly pricey items to buy on the street. Many options for great food, coffee, brunch etc... Lots of hidden gems.

One of my favorite department stores in Taichung, for its size and location, and also for the Thai/Vietnamese Noodle Restaurant downstairs, which has 5 choices of fabulous Tom Yam and Pho soups that are very satisfying and balanced. The photo is the Beef Pho and a side of chicken wings, totally yummy!

Tried quite a few things there, quite a variety. Not much game stalls. Most memorable from this night market is the chicken thigh roll that no one was queuing! Sausage frm the famous 大肠包小肠stall was also yummy! Pepper bun was nt bad only despite long queue.. their grape vinegar was nice and refreshing though. Sweet potato balls was ok only too, despite another long queue stall. Master of tea at the start of night market is very good.

First visit, not overly crowded and can shop to your heart content. Things that I feel worth trying out were the fried milk stall (crispy on the outside but soft like tauhu milk filling inside). Huang ji sesame oil chicken soup, the soup was superb but too bad no 🍚 option. Another shop which tickle my tastebud was china street food dried vegetable pancake. Thin slice of pancake stuffed with "mui choy" crispy and savoury.

This is such a well-rounded night market ,it has everything from food stalls, hole in the wall restaurants to clothing/ shoe shops, plus a few carnival and claw machine arcades. I’d recommend going earlier; we arrived around 6 p.m. and didn’t have enough time to see it all. Although it’s busy, the pathway is wider than most, making it easier to move around somewhat lol. There’s even a garbage bag near the front of the market (a rare find, haha). The washroom is located in a nearby plaza — just follow the signs downstairs — but do bring your own tissue paper. I also suggest exploring the area around the night market, as there are plenty of shops and restaurants. We took the HSR to Taichung Station and then an Uber, which took about 25 minutes. Don’t forget to bring cash!

There are tons of famous local snacks around, and one of my favorites is the takoyaki! The grilled chicken chop takes about 18 minutes to cook but honestly tastes pretty average. The Taiwanese sausage wrap (big sausage wrapped around a small one) was super filling, not particularly special in flavor, but I just had to try it since it’s such a classic. The Matsusaka pork was tender and delicious, and the sweet potato balls were so addictive I couldn’t stop popping them one after another! There were still so many yummy things I wanted to try, but my stomach just gave up too soon.

Fengchia Night Market in Taichung was super fun! There were so many different foods and snacks to try — everything looked and smelled amazing. It was a bit far from our hotel near Taichung Train Station, and we got a little lost trying to figure out the bus, so we just took an Uber in the end. But honestly, it was totally worth it. Great vibes, great food, and a really fun night overall! ✨

Favourite night market in Taiwan. A wide variety of food and cheap and a lot of things to see also. No need to worry about dirty street as there are rubbish bags along the street which is great improvement against my past experience traveling to Taiwan (back then I need to carry my oily dirty plastic bag with my food waste around since hard to find rubbish bin). Cartain area smells a bit not generally is good.

Close to the ASEAN SQUARE,it’s a big commercial square. You can see different type of the sweet food,steak,stir-fried food and drink. You wolud like to go for the souvenir,and it’s very convenient. The ASEAN SQUARE is business building. There are food shops, handphones,clothes shops,gift shops, kareoke stir-fried and KTV. Special for the kareoke stir-fried,it’s traditional leisure store. With the friends and order free food. Upstairs also has the movie theater. Get some entertainments on,that’s cool. SiBieng Street is free and you can try what you’d like to give to guests. ChenLiou Vietnam’s traditional food,which is Can Chua Ca Basa with a big bowl rice,is with pineapple, tomato,pickled vegs and grouper. Now it has special ingredient for tamarind. The taste with them is little bit sour and it’s not like the thick. Around here,the LuiChuan is free for the night and free for walking with lights.

Just like any typical Asian large cities with large number of migrant workers, the place is packed with Vietnamese Indonesia foods and services for these migrants. During weekends. Taxis lining up to take those domestic workers to places where public transportation don’t serve.

There’s so much migrant workers but i like there’s so much interesting foods from Southeast Asia

A small shopping mall, nothing much to shop and also limited restaurant choices. There is a big Muji store and Family Mart there. Came on Monday and the traditional market 第六市场 is not open.

Parking makes this place a nut house. Never a place to park and basement parking is expensive even if you shop inside. A nice selection of shops and services and a good place to kill some shopping time. Good selection of food options but leaning toward pricey.

Interesting stores, but limited options. Nicer to spend time in than larger department stores. Surprisingly good for kids with you safe and (pricey) play areas upstairs.

Very convenient shopping area, especially if you are staying at the Splendor hotel. It doesn't open until later so you can't get to the Starbucks inside for breakfast.

In 4th there is a korean restaurant named 'banchan' If you're korean or you like korean food, you can enjoy it. It tastes good. In contrast with other restaurant in Taiwan, I think I'm in korea. You should order very spicy tofu soup.

The children's floor is quite nice, with playrooms and toy stores. Parking is VERY expensive in the basement, so if you can take a cab.

Quite place to read. There are power points at almost every seat to charge phones or even do work on your laptop. There are people around me bringing their own food and drinks in.

Shopping , food ,and movies all in one . Kids toy shop upstairs , a nice Korean restaurant and a beautiful balcony upstairs that looks like a Victorian street in England.

I and my 3 friends had visited this shop today. When I was about to pay and ask the cashier to wait whether I can pay by Youtrip card. She just ignore and go ahead to scan the products. I think is poor attitude. When my friend ask for additional plastic bag because she is paying on behalf for one of my friend. The same cashier ask rudely whether she want to pay extra charge for it.

The location is strategic, suitable if you want to buy things or just walk around and eat

Just realized I wasn’t able to take pictures much. There were a lot of stores in here, the high-end brands are in the first floor. I stayed the most at 9th floor because of the books and stationery. Also stumbled upon this music boxes? Some people thought the sound was creepy, but I find it relaxing. I didn’t take pics of the theme restaurants, but it was lovely as well. Their comfort rooms are also clean. Nature called me and the experience was great. Love me a place with clean restrooms.

Inexpensive time-wasting maze with vacant luxury stores and no discernible signage. Great place to get lost. Staff is no help at all.

I though I’d be lucky if I could get a hand held infrared thermometer at skyrocketed price, but this smart gear is even better. The guy didn't take his eyes off the monitor for a second. The doorman said the price is appx. USD 150K. Hopefully it can get virus free on shopping.

Lots of shops and pleasant to shop like the Gloria outlet in Taoyuan.. but it's a little too far for people with no cars or motorbikes.

Spacious and well-maintained mall to visit of you love shopping etc. Majority of the shops are outdoor, so it’s quite hot in the summer. The indoor space is not as big as I thought it would be and there is a lot of Japanese food. The food court is very clean with a lot of seats. Overall, it’s a nice cooling place to visit and chill in the hot summer afternoon. To get here, I took a bus and walked for 15min. I think it’s better to either take the taxi or bus directly. The pavement and traffic lights outside the mall don’t seem to be in good condition and there aren’t a lot of people walking in. Also there are a lot of huge trucks, so make sure to cross the roads carefully.

The food court is a great place to eat. Our family wasn’t too sure what to order. We just basically went to the busier sections with bigger lineups. You can never go wrong with that method, and it paid off LOL! Sister in law had the Miyatake Sanuki Udon. It was delicious and it was a generous portion. Unfortunately I can’t read Chinese. I did take pictures in hopes that someone who is reading this can navigate to the right spots. Next door my brother and I got the chicken and egg over rice. It was so delicious. If you like runny eggs, you’ll love this item. I got my dad the number 11 at another joint over. It was huge and he really enjoyed it. There’s also a play area for kids. Even though you’re an adult, you’ll still wanna play and your inner kid will come out haha. I’m from Vancouver Canada so even though the prices are a bit higher in this area, it’s still definitely cheaper and worth it to eat at this court compared back to home in Vancouver. It’s pretty much 50% or more cheaper.

A decent size outlet mall unfortunately we don't have enough time to check the whole place and see everything. We got there at lunch time and it's understandable that the food court was indeed full.

Great place to shop and meals for family. There’s a resort with rides that kids love to. You can see their Ferris wheels from miles away. It also come with LED shows and attractive in the evening. There are couple parking lot you can choose with by section ABC. The resort is just beside the freeway which is convenient to visit.

This outlet or bazaar is absolutely huge compared to its counterpart in Taipei! We sort of lost looking for the food court 😸! Many famous brands are available and the prize is also OK!

Not so many special offers. Magnificent view from the ferris wheel. Recon to spend at least half a day here.

Shopping mall with several floor’s. With all you need. From best brands to local brands. Home appliances, Toys, babies, woman’s and men’s clothes. You can claim your tax in there.

Some might say it is a typical department store in Asia and it is true but still a great place to enjoy good and buy brand stuff. Definitely feel xmas when you are there

Authentic and secret jewellery market with over 3 decades history. Mostly do B2B business however normal customers are very welcome too. Gathering most B2B jeweller all over Taiwan on Saturday. Strongly recommend!!!

This mall is busy with mid-range restaurants. The parking structure is not very well designed but parking space is mostly available.

JMall has various food courts, It is a nice and calm place for having lunch.

This is probably one of the most comfortable malls in Taichung. It is not very busy, while the internal design has ensured ample space which ensures that you do not feel overwhelmed. The mall prioritizes Japanese brands and shops, although it is not exclusively focused on them. It also has a Japanese supermarket where you can get your fix with Japanese foodstuffs

Shopping center comprising many different stores with many eateries on the top floor. It was a rainy day so we decided to head to a shopping mall, it was a nice walk and we got what we wished to get.

I didnt shop at this place but a decent sized mall mostly with mid to a bit higher end. It was nice to walk around to kill time while outside is hot. It's near to a lake park which is a nice view to talk a stroll right after. The toilet here is Japanese toilet style so it come with the bidets

New location, big spacing, relaxing to walk around...Parking is on the high side which is ntd50/hr and spend at least ntd1000 to deduct 1hr only. In Taipei is ntd500 to deduct 1hr and parking is ntd50 but its Taichong not Taipei

A very clean mall, big and house a plethora of brands. The mall is owned by Mitsui group, you can find lots of Japanese brands too. The mall is divided into north and south wing. The north wing houses more brands. Every level has its curated positioning, i.e: your home living brands, kitchenware brands, mommy and kids brands. Spacious and clean. Lots of toilet cubicles too. As a tourist, you do enjoy some perks, you check with the information counter ✔️

A few months have passed since opening and the initial surge of people have subsided to a more normal and acceptable level of visitors and shoppers. However I would still strongly advise to come earlier during meal times and especially during weekends to get a table. The mall has a lot of food options, especially Japanese restaurants. Also the usual mall brands of clothes and accessories. Supermarket is also available. For those who don’t like shopping, there is an arcade game store for gaming. Overall a good mall but requires a bit of planning if you come during weekends.

I really enjoyed spending the day walking around this mall. Saw many American brand stores. Tried Curry in the south mall building on the first floor and really loved it.

Not many food shops. We tried the steamed gyoza, the oden, the hakaho, all pretty good. One thing that spoil the evening is the constant fight with motorbikes. Taichung please do like Japan or Vietnam ,place barriers and guards at all access points so that we can safely enjoy our evenings.

A night market close to my hotel. It was a smaller night market as compared to Fengjia and is mostly frequented by students. Still, there is delicious food to be found there. Can visit this place if you have extra time, otherwise I would recommend that you visit Fengjia Night Market instead.

This is a huge night street market in Taichung! You can find lots of the usual Taiwan street food fare here including stinky tofu, fried mushrooms, grilled beef cubes, refreshing watermelon drinks (in the summer) and more. “Angel chicken” is especially famous here and there was a long queue ~15 min for a HUGE piece of Taiwan fried chicken. It was average in taste but the portion was indeed massive. The vibe was energetic, lively, and we even saw a couple of street performers when we visited. The location is really good for shopping — Lining the streets are also trendy clothes and accessories stores that open til late to cater to the younger crowds. If you head north and to the main road (Sanmin Rd), you can easily get to Chungyo Department store for even more mainstream shopping options too. For those interested in thrifting and vintage wear, there are lots of such stores in the southern end (Alley 5, Lane 19, Taiping Rd on Google Maps). Or you can search for a few of these stores: 公主毛病, 星期一古著/Blue Monday, mushroom_division.

To be honest, the No.1 Middle School Night Market seems a bit less bustling compared to Fengjia Night Market. However, it's still worth a visit. I took photos of all the delicious food and interesting things I found there.

The best bus stop is the one on Guoji Street near the east end of Yishu Street. That end of Yishu Street, and of Yishu South Street and connecting cross streets, are where most of the businesses are located. In my opinion the Arts District would be more successful with these five improvements: 1) better public parking since the streets are narrow and it is challenging to find street parking, 2) some time set aside for pedestrian-only activities such as a night market on Yishu Street at least one night a week, 3) improvements to the sidewalks with some restrictions on motorbike parking so they don’t block access to stores, 4) improved promotion for the district by the Taichung city government and/or business owners, so that the local shops and restaurants could attract more customers, and 5) some kind of support system to attract and retain artists and art galleries to enhance the “art” aspect of the district.
