Last Sunday, we stopped by around 20:40 (checked on my bank now) and ordered a bottle of Prosecco at the bar with 4 glasses. Paid 24 Euros, got it in a cooler and went out with 4 glasses, sat down, opened the bottle, poured in the first glass, it was with no colour nor bubbles. When we smelled it, shockingly it was water, definitely smelling toilet, we almost vomited. All 4 of us went back in, told the bartender about this, they took the glass and 3 bartender smelled it one after another, then do you know what they said? It is a water and smelling just fine! What??? 1st, it is not supposed to be water, its a freakin Prosecco! 2nd, it smells disgustingly shit, probably water from the toilet or whatever. Then she said she can give us a new bottle, we said no thank you, refund and we want to leave! Then she says, oh she can’t do that bla bla when we all started to talk again, she just went to cash register and brought 24 Euros cash. We still think how the hell this could happen, worths to be investigated. Could lead to serious health issues.

Very nice place and incredibly nice staff. Me and my friends just stopped for a coffee and some water. Clean and fresh in this place with a very good location, seating both indoors and outdoors. Clean and fresh toilet. The next time I'm in Amsterdam I will of course come back here and try their food and sit outside on their boat and eat.

First of... the view is beautiful and this place is one of the coziest places in Amsterdam center. If you are lucky enough to sit by the window you will love it even more. The coffee was good I ordered a spicy toasty with Jalapenos and it was delicious. Service was also really good and fast, the lady taking care of us was always around checking if everything was good. Finally prices for city center are ridiculously LOW. 2 people we had 2 coffees, sparkling water, toasty with Jalapenos and eggs on bread with ham and cheese and we paid something like 19.20. Absolutely recommend it and I ll go again. Dont forget to tip the service! 😉

My wife and I were craving going to a live jazz place for a while. It’s hard in Toronto cos they’re far. We were able to walk to this place late one night. Was very pleased with everything - the ambience, decor, the music, obviously, and especially the service. The young person who served us was very diligent. Honestly, I was blown away by the way we were treated everywhere in Amsterdam and nearby. Everyone was so friendly and accepting. We really enjoyed ourselves here. I wish we could go back to Amsterdam soon. One of the best vacations ever.

One of the best jazz caffes I’ve ever visited. On my annual visits to Amsterdam, I always go to this place. The diversity of music is incredible as well - the last time I went there was a brazilian music gig. The entrance ticket is not that expensive for Amsterdam, only 5€. I also recommend coming before opening or between breaks (the musicians usually play for about an hour and then they have a break) so you don’t wait a lot, I usually come later so I always wait about 30 min to enter because the capacity is always full since the caffe isn’t big. The atmosphere is amazing and I definitely recommend visiting this caffee while in the city.

We went there excited and expecting a good show and sensual vibes. Besides the guy at the door who was really nice , and the lighting that suits a jazz bar, everything else was wildly subpar. Starting with the space inside. It was extremely overcrowded with not enough places to sit. As a result we went to sit on the stairs. Was looking for a place for a simple relaxed, quiet coffee and a light brunch while I planned the day. This place was cozy and had some nice inside and outside seating. Had some eggs and some lattes and spent an hour there. The staff were very friendly and I didn't feel rushed at all. It will definitely be a place of note if I'm ever back in the area.

Overall we had a nice experience as it is definitely a one of a kind restaurant in Amsterdam. However, the portions are quite small for the price. The staff is friendly but the service could be improved. We asked for some bubbles as wine, we were told they were out (!) and then we see a glass of cremant going to another table. We asked again if they had some, and we were told that was the last bottle and we could have it. The bottle arrived open - and not full - at our table and we were charged full price. Also, flagged 2 days in advance for gluten and egg allergens and they had no gluten free bread available.
