Taco restaurant
Taqueria El Cazador is a renowned taco spot in Huntsville, with multiple locations including a unique taco bus housed inside a repurposed 1991 Bluebird school bus. The menu features mouthwatering tacos, burritos, and tortas bursting with authentic Mexican flavors. The street tacos and tostadas are highly recommended, known for their wide variety of toppings and flavorful green sauces that add an extra kick.
Finally, a real taco shop!!! My husband and I moved out here from San Diego last summer and have been missing our local taco shop so much... we finally got around to trying this place out the other night and were so excited to find this hidden gem! Real, authentic Mexican food - not the Tex-Mex that so many restaurants serve in the area (which is also good in it's own way but different). Excellent carne asada, carnitas, al pastor, etc. Spicy carrots and pico de gallo at the salsa bar... this ex-Californian is so happy :) Excited to try out more of their menu as we continue to go. Thanks for bringing real Mexican food to Huntsville!

I had high hopes for my first experience here. The customer service was TERRIBLE. The cashier acted as if he was scared to take my order. I greeted him and he stared at me menacingly. I placed my order and he barely understood English. I held my hand out for my receipt and he placed it on the counter. I will never return here again. El Dorado has better customer service and food.
Jhateyia N — Google review
Edit: Tried various things from this restaurant at this point and I haven't been disappointed. Reeeallly good fish tacos that prevent me from trying anything else on the menu. The quality of the fish tacos tell me that the rest of the foot must be good, but man, it’s really hard to fine good fish tacos anywhere else. I’ve never eaten at the restaurant so I’m not sure if they have hot sauce options on the tables. If they don’t then that’s the only issue I have with the restaurant. But even if the rest of the food is awful, I would still come back for the fish tacos Maybe I’ll try another option when I get a raise and can just buy two entrees.
Wally G — Google review
Food is consistently great, at good prices, the best Taqueria in Huntsville! The Hombre that runs the cash register could be a little more friendly 😆. The owner came by our table the last time we were there and was very gracious for our patronage!
Larry M — Google review
Authentic Mexican food. Best taco trucks in town. The restaurant version in South Huntsville has a salsa bar, and free chips and beans. There is a drive thru version in Madison. If you can't fix it with green sauce, use more green sauce.

First visit. No one else was dining at the time. Burrito i ordered was bland, meat was very very dry. Husband agreed. .

Delicious and authentic Mexican food, never a bad time!

I get takeout food from this restaurant about once a week. I lived in New Mexico for many years & really enjoyed the food & cultural experience from a variety of small, family-owned Mexican food restaurants. El Cazador provides the same great food experience that I found in NM.

Mexican restaurant
Bandito Burrito Co is a long-standing Mexican restaurant that has been serving classic plates and a large beer selection since 1990. It has a funky, punky atmosphere with an edgy-cool vibe that sets it apart from other local Mexican restaurants. The walls are adorned with photos of underground bands and kitschy doo-dads, creating a unique ambiance. The owner, Oscar Gutierrez, can often be found at the big circular table near the cash register.
Was visiting Family in the area, who suggested this dining establishment because he had eaten there several times before with friends. This was my first time there. The man who took my order was very friendly and I could see they were very busy. The establishment has its own character and looked to be a fun place. The atmosphere was laid back and very colorful and the music being played was enjoyable. I really only engaged with the nice lady who delivered our food to the table and with the man at the counter but they were very professional and friendly. The food itself was outstanding and tasted absolutely terrific. There were four people in my party and we each got a different plate and I must say the food looked amazing and tasted wonderful. I will say some of my favorite restaurants are these types with being just a little hole in the wall and the true character and nature of the restaurant being unknown until you sit down and taste what they have to offer. I will be back and I recommend that others try this place as it was absolutely delicious. The prices were very reasonable and there was adequate seating at the time we were there for dinner.

Bandito Burrito 🌯 has my heart 💚! Love the family! Love the crew and past crews! Love the food and atmosphere! Love the history in this city and before! You call it TexMex if you want I’ll call em’ my favorite and Delicious! The patio is a great place to chill and also hang with friends or talk to a new person who just found this great little place. Little in a big town but big all around there are people all over this country and globe who know Bandito and love em’! I have been blessed to be here over the years, NATIVE Huntsvillian here! Try em’ out I hope you find the wonderful food, atmosphere and people working visiting eating fellowship ing and exploring new tastes and new places. Come check em’ out or have it delivered. I’m a no carne & load it up with hot sauce guy, you do you. I smile anytime someone says wanna meet me at Bandito Burrito? 🌯 Thanks Dan for introducing your little brother to that yummy bean burrito back in 89/90. Much Love Y’all. Oh you can eat inside also! It’s so nice that chips & salsa or hot sauce come with your dinner. Lots of choices and sometimes I revisit and old love bean burrito 🌯 or Picadillo (roast beef!) or beans or super nachos or…try the green bean burrito 🌯😳🤯.

Been going here my whole life, and it's truly iconic. The food is incredible, the atmosphere is fun, and the service is excellent. You won't get better burritos or tamales in Huntsville.
Astridd S — Google review
I stumbled into Bandito Burrito Co. expecting a quick meal, but I left with a full belly and a new lease on life. This isn't just a restaurant; it's a time-traveling, taste-bud-tickling, sombrero-wearing fiesta on a plate! The burritos are so good, they made me rethink my entire existence. Seriously, one bite of the burrito, and I felt like I was floating on a cloud of cilantro and salsa. The atmosphere is like stepping into a fiesta that never ends. The music, the decor, the friendly staff – it’s like they’ve taken the best parts of every Mexican vacation and squeezed them into one epic dining experience. Five stars? More like five galaxies. Bandito Burrito Co., you have my heart, my stomach, and probably my first-born child. Viva la burrito!
Lee M — Google review
Bandito Burrito is by far the best Mexican Restaurant in Huntsville, AL. Do not let the outside of the building fool you this restaurant has been serving Huntsville for over 30 years. Their beans are the best in Huntsville, all the other restaurants should take notes since most just have watered down beans. Fresh ingredients and the staff is always working hard to get orders out fast. I would recommend any burrito or the #1. If you want a real treat try a crunchy taco with pork, or shredded beef or any burrito with pork/shredded beef. Things I would like to add: 1. There is no white cheese dip but the yellow is good. 2. They have a chunky mild salsa if you do not like hot salsa. 3. They have quite a few IPA beers and other beers. Other mentions: A. I would avoid coming here if in a hurry at lunch time as parking can be difficult to find at lunch. (People usually park on road if there is no spots. B. Air conditioning can be a iffy so if that is a problem get your meal to go. C. You can eat outside and they will call your order out through a side window out in the patio area. D. They have flyers of music/art/other events in the Huntsville Area. E. They have a limited amount of tables and it is first come first serve. F. They have a military discount.
Dan W — Google review
I cannot say enough about how absolutely delicious the food at Bandito Burrito is!!! The tacos are scrumptious and the tamales are mouthwatering! The salsa is fresh and tasty. I've been here a few times and haven't had anything I didn't like. If you are looking for a super casual location, that has affordable food, this is it! Also, they're pet friendly. In fact, the person who took my order said "Dogs are welcome, people are tolerated." 😂
Misty M — Google review
Love this place! A Huntsville Classic! Been coming here since I was a kid, its nostalgic for me. Food's great, people are great. Owner and his family are great people. Congratulations on 30+ years you're legendary!
Tyson B — Google review
This place is amazing. A local friend recommended it to me since I was passing through. Locally owned and been here forever. The placed was slammed! Slinging out orders every minute. I got the tamale and a green bean burrito with rice and beans. The tamale was just like Mom made, old school Mexican style! The green sauce on the green bean was something else. My daughter said the brownie was "so chocolatey" so I assume it's good. Great prices too.

Brunch restaurant
La Esquina Cocina is a must-visit for Mexican food enthusiasts, offering authentic dishes made from scratch with imported ingredients like chiles de arbol from Mexico City. The menu features flavorful options that cater to various tastes, including those who are not typically fans of Mexican cuisine. House specialties like El Chorizo con Queso Fundido are highly recommended. Situated in downtown Huntsville, Alabama, this upscale restaurant provides a modern dining experience with traditional Mexican items and innovative Latin-inspired dishes.
Went to tired it out. Got say love their drinks especially the seasonal which was watermelon and pineapple currently. Food wise; they have queso with shrimp (is weirdly good, normally used to queso with beef or chorizo) and main food tried Enchiladas De Picadillo & Enchiladas Verdes. If you looking for something with a spicy taste go with the Verdes, the De Picadillo were also decent overall.
Sergio F — Google review
We visited La Esquina Cocina to try their restaurant week specials. We had a taco plate (tacos: al pastor, grilled shrimp, and avocado) with rice and beans and the restaurant week special which was a 4 taco flight (we chose carne asada, grilled fish, chorizo, and cochinita pibil), chip & dip trio, and a choice of dessert. We had to ask for the chips and dip to be brought out after our tacos arrived, but other than that service was nice. The food was delicious.
JM — Google review
I came here with some friends to celebrate some birthdays, and our server was so sweet! I got the chicken quesadilla and it was AMAZING. Definitely coming back again. Their guacamole was delicious I almost asked for some to take home. 10/10 recommend trying this place.
Emily T — Google review
The food was delicious and flavorful! Something we really liked about the restaurant is that they do not cross-contaminate between meat and seafood. My husband loved the empanadas and the tacos, the meat was tender and full of flavor. It was amazing to find a Mexican restaurant that doesn’t put cheese in tacos and vegetarian frijoles instead of the beans with lard that most other restaurants do. Definitely recommend to vegetarians. Overall, we loved the food and thank you for your wonderful service!
Afsana A — Google review
Queso w/ chorizo & poblanos was spectacular! Portions hearty! They were sweet and provided candles for my b-day dessert. Steak was so tender and the bowl I ordered was delicious. Corn&pablano soup was only item that could use a bit more seasoning which is what I did the following day as my leftover. Overall, delicious food and great environment.
Sara C — Google review
very nice atmosphere with excellent staff and great food! I have never had chorizo artichoke dip, but I have now and it was amazing! We also had a steak sandwich that was flavorful and crispy as well as a delicious chicken quesadilla. I also recommend the sangria as super refreshing! Only Con - the queso dip was kind of mid. overall 4.5/5 I will definitely be back to try more!
Tessa R — Google review
Lovely place! The food was amazing and so was the vibe! We ordered the shrimp fajitas and 3 tacos combo.. Highly recommend!
Ashwini D — Google review
The food was good as always. Love all the empanadas, and tuna toast. Good salads. Not great Sushi. The bar not to recommend really. Service is bit slow . The place is bright, modern decor, but noisy , even after they put the ceiling panels.

Mexican restaurant
Phil Sandoval's Mexican Restaurante is a vibrant and lively eatery in Huntsville, offering an extensive menu of authentic Mexican dishes and a wide variety of margaritas. The restaurant prides itself on using fresh ingredients and bold seasonings to create savory tacos, traditional Mexican plates, and other flavorful offerings. Whether you're savoring flautas, tamales, chicken fajitas, or fish tacos, each dish promises to be a celebration of Mexican cuisine.
We finally made it to Phil Sandoval's! We had dinner there tonight, and it was fabulous! Their chips and salsa are perfect because they have the really thin, crispy chips that are my very favorite! I had the Shrimp Tacos and they were yummy....housemade cole slaw with lime and avocado on the side.....and a tangy sauce on the shrimp that made it super tasty. My hubby tried the Pollo Loco Trio with shrimp, chicken and steak over Mexican rice and topped with queso sauce. It ws very good as well. The service was superb and quick, even though they were fairly crowded. They happened to be doing trivia tonight, although we didn't arrive early enough to participate. Extra Bonus points for the free ice cream at the end of our meals! Definitely recommend this place.

The place is beautiful with a lot of nice decorations . The service is good too , always making sure you have everything . Food related for me it was not something outstanding I was expecting more flavor , you can eat the same food for less the price in other places.
Luis S — Google review
We sat outside on the patio, with the nice weather. It was such a great dinner! The street tacos are so yummy and flavorful. The salsa and chips were good too. Chips are light and crispy. Salsa slightly spicy. So yummy!!!
Cara L — Google review
My husband and I went to Phil Sandoval’s Sunday, June 1, 2025. Atmosphere was great ,food was great , waitress could’ve done a little bit better but I know it was Sunday and they were busy but she done a good job. Then the lady came to clean the table next to us and she dropped the rag on the floor and to continue to pick up the dirty dishes on the table. She picked the cloth up out of the floor and continue to wash that table with that dirty unsanitized towel or cloth. That is disgusting management and owners needs to know what goes on. I don’t know how to upload a picture but I do have a picture of the lady who done that.
Bonnie G — Google review
They have the Mexican vibe down pat. It's almost too much.. overdone, cartoonish. When the tiny portions come out, you quickly realize it's gentrified; meant for tourists, what a tourist thinksss a Mexican restaurant is. The food is ok. If you want authentic, real Mexican food, La Fuente in Meridianville is a bit of a drive but a greater bang for your buck.
J B — Google review
I had an amazing experience at this restaurant! The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented — every bite felt thoughtfully prepared. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy a great meal. A special shout-out to Hector, who truly made the evening exceptional. His attentiveness, friendly demeanor, and genuine care for each guest went above and beyond. He anticipated what we needed before we even asked, and his recommendations were spot-on. Hector is a true asset to the team, and his professionalism combined with his warm personality made us feel like valued guests from start to finish. I can’t wait to come back — highly recommend!

This place is so wonderful! We’ve come here for years now, and it never fails to impress! Brenda was our server and she was so sweet and kind, but everybody on the team helped and was awesome! We witnessed a server carrying a heavy tray full of food and patiently wait with a smile on her face, while people were inconsiderate and stood in the aisle, blocking her - knowing she was there. Many kudos to her for remaining patient and pleasant because not everyone could have done that!
Misty B — Google review
Phil Sandoval’s is hands-down one of the best dining experiences in town! The food is incredibly fresh — you can taste the quality in every bite, from the crisp veggies to the perfectly seasoned entrées. The service is outstanding; everyone is friendly, attentive, and genuinely cares about making your visit special. Hector, the manager, goes above and beyond to ensure guests feel welcome and taken care of. And the margaritas? Absolutely fantastic — perfectly balanced and refreshing. If you’re looking for amazing food, top-notch service, and a warm atmosphere, Phil Sandoval’s is the place to be!

Taco Mama - Twickenham is a trendy restaurant with three locations, offering a variety of vegan options. Guests can customize their tacos, burritos, burrito bowls, or Jorges nachos. The Tree Hugger burrito bowl is a popular choice with cilantro-lime rice, black beans, grilled onions, lettuce, tomato, fresh guacamole, and mild salsa.
Such a cool place and the staff is amazing! Very very friendly and kept coming by to give napkins and clear our tables. Just amazing service. Food is very good however I was thrown off by the chicken on my salad, it almost looks like fish the way it’s cut and laid on the salad. It was still good though! Chips are thin and crispy which I loved. Margarita was very refreshing for the hot day it was. We absolutely adored Taco Mama!!

Taco Tuesday was great here. Excellent vibes. Food was worth the price. Harley ran the place perfectly. Front side talking to the back and very open communication. My fav was the steak with grilled jalapeño. Definitely adding this as a must every time I visit.

It was very good! We got our food in under 5 minutes and we got there 15 minutes before closing. They made sure we were fully taken care of and postponed closing for us.

Reviews were on point. After several searches I landed at Taco Mama. Dulce greeted as I enter and guided me to the bar to place my order. Jacob was helpful as well. Since the Blood Orange margarita was out of season I decided on the la playa...it was delicious with nodes of pineapple flavor. The grill tacos were full and tasty. I enjoyed my meal, beverage, atmosphere and the staff!😉

On Sept 11, 2025, my husband was in CVICU recovering from open heart surgery. His surgeons had not given me much hope. They told me to go get some lunch and rest at my hotel room. Walking to my hotel. I knew I needed a really good margarita. Your Twickenham location is literally right behind the Hilton Hotel…I just walked through the parking lot. Now, here is my story of your amazing staff. I, of course, had been crying… I jumped up on the bar stool at the back… there, is where I met your Manager, Jacob and his staff, Savannah, Dani and Amber. They quickly recognized that I was having a really bad day. Jacob quickly offered his assistance. I told him I needed the best, largest margarita because my husband probably will not make it through the night…. I also, ordered a chicken quesadilla. That hour I spent with your staff … they showed me the best empathy…lots of hugs and support. I finished… walked back to my hotel and took the best nap. I went back over to see him again…at 8:30pm visit…. He passed away at 8:53pm while I was holding his hand. Jacob and his staff holds a very special place in my heart. I would say that the Twickingham location truly is a testament to the owners and company motto … personable friendly customer service.

Taco Mama never disappoints! Even during a bustling dinner rush, the service was incredibly fast and efficient, getting our food out in no time. The Barbacoa was absolutely delicious—tender, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. Jacob’s hospitality stood out, making me feel so welcome with his friendly and attentive service. Highly recommend this spot for a fantastic meal and great vibes!

When you find yourself in Rocket City, make sure to stop by Hops N Guac, a vibrant Tex-Mex eatery nestled within Campus 805. This fast-casual restaurant is a delightful fusion of authentic Mexican flavors and modern street food twists. With an inviting atmosphere, it’s not just about the mouthwatering tacos and refreshing craft beers; guests can also enjoy unique features like a self-serve beer wall and even a snooker court for some added fun.
This place is awesome. Food is great, and the wall of beer with unlimited pours is super cool. Just watch out because that bill comes at the end and it will shock you if you drink beer like I do. The setting in a former high school is really neat, and seeing the stairs and lockers certainly jogs your memories. Can't wait to come back here and see more of what they have to offer.

BEST PLACE EVER to get Mexican in the Northern Alabama area! The portions are huge, the service is fantastic, fast and friendly and the place is always clean. The BEST part is how the chips and taco shells are so crispy and light, never wet or soggy taco shells… serious crunch ! The food is AMAZING!!! Too many favorites on the menu to choose from! Wish they had another in Athens/Madison area but it’s worth the drive and price!

Being our 1st time here, i didn't think they were open. We entered at 5:15pm on a Monday evening, the place was empty. There was a young lady behind a counter on her phone, she gave us a glance and looked back down to her phone. We walked up to the bar area, sat on a stool and looked around. Waited a couple minutes and nobody greeted us, nor bothered to even acknowledge us. The gal got done with her phone then walked over with a couple menus. We told her there would be 4 more coming shortly, if we could wait for them. She turned stood and walked away. She never asked if we wanted to order drinks, unbeknownst to us you had to go get a wrist band for beers (We didn't know that at the time, she could've explained that and sold a couple pints of beer in that time we waited). Or group arrived for dinner, she sat us at a table handed out menus and left. Back to her area and on her phone. We sat and waited, once again didn't know the process as she never explained. She on her phone, we're all thirsty and ready to order, she's on her phone. We then watch another couple come in that had obviously been here before, go up and order at the counter. So that's what we did, if we had only been told that 10 minutes earlier. We ordered food and then figured out the beer bracelet without much help from the employee. She did bring our food, it was fine, nothing great. Never once did she come ask how everything was because, guess what, she was on her phone. Zero effort on her part to welcome anyone sell product or check on things to make sure the guests are enjoying themselves. If I was a supervisor or owner, they're would be a long discussion with her about being there to work and not be on her phone. There was income lost to this business because she made no effort to promote their business and products.

Really cool concept. The food was good. We were in a rush, so we most definitely need to come back for a full experience.

Good beer selection and a small bar to go with the great artisan Mexican food. They have the basics on the menu, but not an exhaustive selection. If you are looking for tacos, burritos or a bowl, you won't be disappointed. The Santafe shrimp tacos are my favorite. They also have fried avocado slice

I went on Monday night, and the young lady at the front was so helpful and welcoming! The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was incredibly fast. Everything came out fresh and fast. I was really impressed. Definitely recommend this spot if you want great food and fast service.

Decent, if somewhat expensive food. The real reason to come hear is the ability to sample the beer and cider and pay for what you pour. They have quite a selection of beer and cider on tap and you can purchase as little or as much as you want and get charged by the ounce.

It was our first time dining here. Service was terrible, cashier wasn’t friendly, food had no flavor, the guacamole tasted like sour cream and onion dip, and the place was so loud.

This charming eatery radiates a warm and welcoming atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for taco enthusiasts. The menu boasts an impressive selection of tacos featuring beef, chicken, and pork, all accompanied by fresh toppings and homemade salsas that elevate the dining experience.
Fantastic experience! The service was attentive and welcoming, making the meal even more enjoyable. The street tacos were absolutely delicious—perfectly cooked with incredible flavor. We tried both the chicken and steak, and each was tender, well-seasoned, and packed with taste. Definitely a spot we’d return to for great food and great hospitality!

Got say overall staff was pretty good and the food was great. The only drawback was the lighting issue , its slight dark don’t know if that is what they are going for but some people might like it.

This place is AMAZING 😍😍 the food is absolutely amazing and the price was SHOCKING only paid $14 for a huge chicken fajita plate I couldn’t even finish it. My husband got a huge burrito for $12
Taralyn T — Google review
The street tacos were really good I ordered an asada taco. I loved their corn tortillas they did not fall apart like others do. I should have stuck to just street tacos, but I wanted to try a lot of things because the prices were reasonable. I ordered a fish taco because I like to try all the fish tacos and I did not like it. 1st it came in a flour tortilla, this must be a tex mex thing and im not used to it and it turns me off. This is the first place where I've seen that the fish was diced and it was a bit salty. And I liked finely sliced cabbage in the slaw with more lime, they gave me a lime for the street taco but not the fish taco. There was also no sauce on the fish taco. I also got flautas. I think I need to stop ordering flautas that say it is wrapped with a corn tortilla, (this must also be a tex mex thing) I thought because it was in a corn tortilla it will be more like a rolled taco that I miss so much from CA, but it looked like an enchilada that was deep fried which is what I got at Rosie's. It wasn't bad but not what I wanted. The beans and rice were okay. I feel like I can find rolled tacos and flautas the way I like at the frozen section at the grocery stores here so I get confused why it's so different at restaurants out here. I also ordered their horchata and it was also okay. Not my favorite in the area. I'd like to try some of the other items that people liked in their reviews. I love chile verde so I might try that next time.

Edit 07/22/24 Still eating here regularly and satisfied with both food and service. Wonderful people & great food! Edit 12/22/22 We are now very much regular customers here! Visit at least once a week and have never been unhappy with food or service Just discovered this wonderful restaurant yesterday Their pork Chile verde is the best I've had in 28 years in Alabama! My husband enjoyed his mixed fajitas The Flan was great too -- very creamy We will definitely return soon! Have been several times now food is always plentiful and delicious.

Absolutely unequivocally my favorite place to eat lunch and dinner. The ower and servers are wonderful. I count off for nasty restrooms but theirs has consistently been spotless, clean and don’t stink. I don’t care how good a restaurant is, if the restrooms are nasty and or stink- I’m outta there. This place is 100% about a good dining experience. The location sucks, but, on the good side it’s not over run and always a relaxing place to meet clients or just eat in peace. The salsa gives it a A +. My favorite is their u pique Teachers salad. The chicken and steak fajitas are almost too good. I have eaten there 11 meals in a row. Average, 4 times a week. Juss saying.

Man what can I say?! This place has got to be one of the best I've had so far. The atmosphere is great, super kind and friendly staff and very delicious food. I ordered 3 tacos de carnitas (pork) and 3 of their tacos de al pastor (marinated pork). There chips and salsa (free) was delicious fresh hot chips nice little spicy salsa. There tacos had so much flavor not to much or to little of anything just the right amount they come with limes, salsa, cilantro and even some sauted onions on the side. I really do recommend you stop by this place and give it a shot if I could give it 6 stars I would

Rosie's Mexican Cantina in Huntsville, Alabama is a lively and colorful restaurant that offers a vibrant culinary experience. The menu features a mix of traditional and unique dishes such as Spinach Enchiladas, Raspberry Salmon, and the signature Bar-B-Q Chicken Nachos. With two full-service locations and a fast-food style option, Rosie's has become a beloved part of Huntsville's food scene.
Very aesthetic restaurant incorporated with delicious food to back it up. Our server Vega was so sweet & accommodating. We always enjoy the complimentary chips & salsa. Hopefully, we can buy it in a jar one day. Spinach quesadilla was quite flavorful. Not a fan of the shrimp one. Their soda products are on point. Not watered down at all. Lastly, the tres leches cake needs to more moist otherwise a great addition.

I do like Rosie’s. However, I do think it’s a little overrated. There are plenty of good Mexican places in Huntsville. It’s a decent place to get food and the service is fast. Our food was yummy and I would go again. It’s not my top pick tho.

Great atmosphere....very bright and cheerful. Lots of wall-sized murals scattered around the restaurant. An amazing patio area outside that takes your breath away. The service was first rate, and the food came out hot and fresh. Portions were large and had great flavor, and the server kept our beverages filled frequently. Their chips and salsa are very good as well. Lots of variety to choose from on the menu, so there is something for everyone.

Pretty good Mexican/american fare. Nothing crazy but feels the desire for a nice place to eat as a group. The queso is really delicious. I wouldn’t recommend the chicken tacos, the chicken tastes canned and is super watery it will break your taco shell apart. The Tamales were great and so was the enchilada.

We were visiting Huntsville for the day helping a relative move. They wanted to try this restaurant. So, we did. We walked in. The host/hostess staff was really nice and professional. The atmosphere was bright, cheery and fun. But that's where being impressed kinda faded. Esperanza (?) was our server. She kept our drinks topped off and chips coming. The chips were good but the salsa was very " white guy". The food came. It looked really great. Three of us had the burrito supremo and I had the tomatillo enchiladas. The beans were ok. The rice was ok. The chicken in my enchilada was ok, but nothing to write home about. The tomatillo sauce was good, though. The beef burrito supreme had ground beef in it. Not shredded. My chicken was in chunks, too. Not shredded. Authentic Mexican doesn't typically use ground beef. Would we go back? That's really hard to say at this point. My gut response when I walked in was. " where are all the Mexicans?" The best Mexican restaurants have a lot of Mexicans and Hispanics eating there. The only one I saw in the entire building was the lady bussing the tables.
Anna G — Google review
I just want to start by saying our Waitress Vega was fantastic and an absolute sweetheart. That being said, our experience was terrible. My mom has a service dog that alerts to a couple different health issues. He's trained to stay by her side in order to sense these things. Also, just for context, he's a very small dog weighing no more than 8 pounds. The sign outside says they allow service dogs only, which is fine since we always have his registration. Well we showed the people at front and they said it was fine. Before we even put in for our cheese dip a Manager came to our table and told us he had to be on the ground under the table. He's not trained for that. He just sits curled up on the booth. Doesn't reach for the table or anything. You don't even know he's there unless you're looking for him. Well after we place our orders another manager comes to the table and says the same thing. Won't allow for us to explain or anything. We felt very signaled out and even our Waitress didn't understand what the big deal was. We ended up leaving with her dog and getting our food to go. We looked up Alabama Law and Health Department regulations and discovered that sitting under the table is mandated unless the restaurant says it's okay. So even though the food was good, and our Waitress was nice, it was an upsetting experience and we won't be going back.

Little Rosie's Taqueria is a vibrant cantina in Huntsville, known for its traditional breakfast burritos, beef fajitas, and enchiladas. The menu offers customizable taco options and made-to-order dishes with authentic Mexican flavors. The restaurant prides itself on using fresh ingredients like chicken breast, USDA-select Western Beef, homemade tortillas, chips and salsas.
The Little Rosie's Taqueria on Whitesburg had great food and service as usual. A group of 25 came in right before us, and we still made it through the line in less than 10 minutes. This is an order at the register and pick up your food at a window type restaurant. The Mexican lasagna plate was really good and came with a side salad and chips. The Fajitas plate was also tasty and also came with chips and a self-serve salsa station.

I think I made a GREAT choice! I was stopping in on my way down to Birmingham and this is a surprisingly awesome little spot! Give them a try! It's similar to a Chipotle. Order off the menu and wait for your food to be ready (vibrating tickets) and get a margarita! They have those! Lol The rice is not overpowering like some Tex Mex places. The beans are a perfect consistency. Not too runny and everything did have flavor. I was happy they had some hot sauce available for spicing up the salsa. They have a decent little salsa bar.
Jasiel L — Google review
Little Rosie's Taqueria has that cozy hole-in-the-wall feel, with its brick exterior and large windows that bring a warm glow inside. The decor is much like its sister restaurant, Rosie’s, with brightly-colored flags strung from the ceiling and decor that gives it a vintage Tex-Mex vibe. As you enter, you’ll find yourself at the counter, where you place your order at the counter. My favorite part of the decor is, of course, the large ceramic frog perched serenely below the TV. We were also impressed by the prices. When looking for high-quality ingredients or great prices, we usually expect to sacrifice one for the other, but Little Rosie’s doesn’t skimp in either department. So, what did we eat? Tacos Plate I’m a big fan of tacos—chicken or beef, corn or flour, soft or crunchy, there’s no wrong choice! So, I kept it simple with the taco plate, served with beans and rice. Little Rosie’s doesn’t skimp on the quality anywhere here. The crunchy shells were crisp and still just a little warm, freshly assembled with crunchy lettuce, tomatoes, and quality ground beef. I poured a little of their red salsa on top of mine to add a little more of that fresh tomato taste, which added a little extra moisture without letting the shell crumble. As much as I enjoyed my tacos, though, the rice and beans definitely stole the show. Their refried beans have a wonderful meaty flavor to them, adding that much more protein to the dish. Little Rosie’s has some meat-free dishes, and for those looking for a little more protein, this side can add a lot to your plate. Fajitas My partner ordered the fajitas, which included a portion of meat, grilled peppers and onions, fresh tortillas, and some fresh vegetables. This was one of the freshest and more decadent plates we received. If you’re looking for a filling meal with a substantial plate, they have you covered. While the best fajita dish, in my humble opinion, is a mix of everything piled onto one over-stuffed tortilla, we sampled the chicken separately, along with the buttery sauce served with it. The chicken, grilled and packed with flavor, was a standout part of the dish. Of course, no fajita dish is complete without the vegetables. Red and green peppers mixed with onions finish out this dish with just enough seasoning to bring out those fresh, natural flavor. This veggie combination was also grilled just right, soft enough to cut with a fork and fill your tortilla to bursting with flavor. Little Rosie’s Salsa and Sides While not a separate meal, Little Rosie’s salsas deserve a moment in the spotlight just as much as their meals. We sampled their traditional red salsa and their salsa verde, and I admit, I did swipe my partner’s guacamole. The traditional red salsa was exactly what I look for in a good salsa: thick, chunky, scoopable, and full of flavor. No one component stands out, though hints of onion and cilantro ring through. This is a perfect medley, one that had me clearing out my personal basket of chips. The salsa verde is, in a word, tangy. I could find a few more words to describe it, but this lovely green dip is not quite as thick but every bit as tasty as the other. While it’s perfect for chips, I recommend drizzling this over your entree, specifically chicken dishes, to add a punchy, bright flavor. And for the guacamole lovers out there? Don’t skip out on this one. It’s creamy, fresh, and absolutely addictive. The salty chips bring out the richness of the avocado and will have you returning again and again for just one scoop (my “just one scoop” turned into “the whole guac cup,” though luckily, I was the only guacamole fan at the table).

For the second visit in a row my order was wrong. I live several miles away so it was not convenient for me to go back. The manager said she would refund my money, but I still don't have any lunch. I only ordered four items so there was no excuse for this.

Colorful place with good food and good service. The only drawback for me is when I go out to eat with friends I like to be able to enjoy a conversation as well as a good meal. My wife and I wanted to try a new authentic Mexican restaurant and after looking at the reviews we decided to try Taqueria las Adelitas which translated to "The Adelitas' Taco Shop" in English. It is located at 6212 Old Madison Pike, Huntsville, AL 35806. Its is in a small strip mall next to a Subway sandwich shop and A1 Appliance just over 1 mile west of Bridge Street Mall. It is a nice clean restaurant with traditional Spanish music playing in the background. The owner was friendly, greeted us and seated us in a nearby booth. The menu is posted on the wall and you can pick from a large variety of meals. My wife ordered the Carne Asada, (beef tacos) which came with grilled onions, refried beans, Mexican rice, lettuce, tomato and avocado, pepper and fresh tortillas. I ordered the combination plate which came with chicken, beef, refried beans, Mexican rice, lettuce, and tomato and fresh tortillas. There was complimentary fresh tortilla chips and salsa. We ordered guacamole for the chips as well. The chips were fresh and crispy and the guacamole was flavorful with just the right amount of cilantro. All the food was freshly prepared and mildly seasoned. Both meals were delicious and large portions. It is one of the best authentic Mexican food restaurants we've experienced in the ten years we have live here in Huntsville. We will definitely be going back to try some of the other meals. I would highly recommend Taqueria Las Adelitas to anyone who love authentic Mexican food.

La comida estaba increíble. The food was amazing. This is a taqueria so there’s no way to not get a taco. We got the meag taco and the fish one, and I gotta say the fish tacos took the prize. They were amazing. The ceviche tostadas were algo great but a bit too sweet. With an extra squeeze of lemon and some hot spot they definitely hit the spot

The food is AMAZING. For this, a small bowl of guacamole, 2 drinks and chips. We paid maybe $43 for everything. Didn't catch the host's name but super friendly and very nice! This beats out Phills and Rosie's easily. Amazing flavour and very decently sized for the cost. I'll be going here from now on anytime I'm in the mood for Mexican. 🤌🏻 definitely Chefs kiss for this place!!!

This is a nice little spot near the Space and Rocket Center. The food was fresh and tasted great. The service was good and accommodating for our group of 8. As far as the atmosphere goes, the place looked clean, but didn't necessarily feel clean. I credit this to the painting and lighting scheme. Definitely not a negative, just an observation. I will say the salsa did taste like canned tomato sauce with some added ingredients, not my particular favorite, but the 2 sauces (green tomatillo sauce and a hot sauce??) that they brought out with the chips were exceptional and I added it to everything! If you're looking for some authentic tasting tacos and other Mexican fare, give them a try!

If I could leave zero stars for the food rating I would. I was excited to try this restaurant due to the positive reviews. The food is LITERALLY the worst Mexican food I've EVER tasted in my 41 years on Earth. Zero flavor, none at all. Not sure why it was so bad when the reviews are so good. Maybe the cook had a bad day. My eating companion agreed completely. Very disappointed. Salsa was good.

This is for the food truck on University Blvd. I ordered an $8 burrito "Al Pastor" (pork), it had tiny pieces of fat (not many) from the cut that would help provide additional flavor to the meat. The burrito was big, tasty and filling. At first, I thought of eating half because of the size, and the next thing I know I'm liking my fingers. Service was fast for time/day. It's located at a gas station so you make your own atmosphere. They have a juice truck adjasent to the taco truck. Heard the $3 tacos are great, so I'll be back. It was actually the first place my family ate when we moved to Huntsville back in 2014, and somehow it still feels like home base whenever I roll back into town. The food’s always solid, I went with the mushroom Swiss burger this time (highly recommend!) and the mixed fries, half regular and half sweet potato, because balance, right? The menu’s a trip, burgers and tacos, surfboards and tie-dye, astronauts and flower power, but it totally works. It’s like Shaggy’s exists in its own funky little universe where no one’s in a hurry and everything tastes better after a day at the beach, even if you’re miles from the ocean. They sell t-shirts too, and while the ones I saw were a little too groovy for my wardrobe, I’d totally grab one with just the logo, something to wear when I’m feeling nostalgic for Rocket City vibes. Whenever I’m back in town, I make sure to stop by at least once with my coworkers to soak in the color, grab a bite, and remember why this funky local legend still holds a spot in my heart. Peace, love, and Shaggy’s. 🌈🍔🌮✌️

Stopped here for lunch, and had a good experience. My hubby ordered a Mushroom Swiss Burger which was huge. I had the Fish Tacos with chips and salsa, and they came with a slaw mixture on the side which was good. Portions were large, and the food was fresh and hot. Prices were very reasonable for what we got. The restaurant was clean and cute....with a beachy surfer theme. You order your food, and then sit down. They give you a pager and they will buzz you when it's ready for pickup at the counter. The drink station has condiments and beverages so you can help yourself. Overall, a good place for lunch.

Right on for a burger joint. Had a wrap at a recommendation from the cashier and it was a great pick for a not too heavy lunch. Sweet potato fries were tasty. Dining room was pretty full but there was plenty of outdoor seating left. Would definitely come again.

Unfortunately, I have to say these were the worst fish tacos I've ever encountered. The fish itself tasted like it came straight from a box of microwaved frozen fish sticks, and the tortilla was noticeably stale. The salsa also had a really off-putting sour and weird taste. Not a good experience at all. Like most customers I didn't complain I just won't come back.
Troy M — Google review
Stopped on the way home because plans for dinner changed. Ordered a buffalo chicken wrap (pico on the side) with mixed fries. Fries were ok, not freshly made but still taste good. But I didn’t get the wrap I ordered. Instead I got some type of spinach wrap with grilled chicken and black bean salsa. It was small and just ok. Not what I ordered. I didn’t finish because it wasn’t what I wanted.

Great overall experience. The margarita was a nice option. Prices were comparable to fast food but the food was way better. They had one of the best burgers in the area.

I went on my lunch break. I needed something quick and reasonably priced. I got 2 soft fish tacos and they hit the spot. I like the slaw that comes with it. My tacos were gone in about 5 minutes. They hit the spot. Previously I’ve got the chicken quesadilla and it’s pretty good too.

Really enjoyed my first visit to Shaggy's. I got the taco/burger combo with mixed fries. Taco is a soft shell. Burger is smaller than other menu burger but I could tell that other full size burgers are likely pretty good. Taco was great! They gave 4 or 5 options for meat filling, I did spicy beef. There were 3 or 4 options on the burger also, I did mushroom/Swiss. Everything was awesome. To include the environment. I felt like I was at some beach town restaurant. I was a bit disappointed when I walked in because the line was so long (11:15 on a Tuesday) but it just flowed right through. Employees were all nice and helpful as well.

El Olmeca is a Mexican restaurant located in Huntsville, AL. It offers a variety of traditional Mexican dishes that are perfect for sharing with friends and family. The menu includes unique Mexican meals as well as favorite classics. Customers have praised the delicious bean dip served with chips and salsa, along with generous portion sizes. While some diners highly recommend the authentic cuisine and commendable service, others have expressed disappointment with certain dishes such as the ceviche lacking flavor.
A little noisy but excellent food and margaritas. I have been eating here close to 30 years and never had a bad meal. Chips are thin and crisp.

The food is well made and the staff is very attentive. It is one of the better Mexican restaurants in the area. Very convenient location right off Hwy 431.

We had a really disappointing experience at El Olmeca. My friend showed a valid out-of-state ID, and the server still denied it. We asked politely if the manager could stop by just so we could understand why it was denied, even acknowledging that they have the right to refuse service. Instead of a simple explanation, we were told the manager was “too busy” and later that it “wasn’t worth their time” to speak with us and that we should just leave. We might have stayed if we’d been treated with basic respect, but between the dismissive attitude from the server and the manager’s refusal to engage, it was clear our business wasn’t valued.

Pretty standard mexican food place. Seems more "authentic" than the other option in owens cross roads. service is good and the people are friendly. came on a trivia night, so it was very noisy but a fun crowd. tamales were the best thing we had there.

This is a nice little hole in the wall restaurant. The food is always fresh/good, especially their fajitas. The price is what wins this place over. They great food for a good price. We come every month. The margaritas here are fantastic 🍹

Showed up with my actual real ID and was still refused service and a bad attitude. Not sure if this place doesn’t know what a real ID looks like, or if they just enjoy turning away paying customers. Either way won’t be back. Plenty of other Mexican restaurants in the city that understand both good food and the law.

I normally am not a fan of Mexican food, but this was my exception! Everything about this place was fantastic. I would like the salsa a little more spicy and possibly a bit chunkier, but that really is just personal preference and a bit of nit picking. The tables and chair's are impeccably painted and carved. The whole restaurant is perfectly decorated. Great place for a date, with mood lighting and music and all.

I've gone here since 2007. It's not at all what it used to be. There is no way Jaime is looking at this food and approving it. It's reheated bullshi* the first pictures are the uncooked food I was served. The last one was after I cooked it myself. Absolutely atrocious for the price.

Tex-Mex restaurant
Chuy's is a Tex-Mex chain known for its "big as yo' face" burritos and other flavorful dishes, set in quirky, Elvis-themed surroundings. In downtown Huntsville, you can find it alongside popular spots like Pane E Vino, La Esquina Cocina, Below the Radar, and others. The restaurant offers a covered patio that's comfortable year-round with fans for summer and heaters for cooler months. It's also kid-friendly with a fun menu and free dessert options.
We had a fantastic experience at Chuey's last Sunday around 3:30 PM! The service was excellent, with a very attentive and polite waitress. The food was fresh and served quickly, and the kids loved the surprise ice cream at the end. Prices were also very reasonable. We'll definitely be back!

Came here on a Sunday afternoon with the family, it was pretty busy but we were promptly seated. Ambiance was fine, had a relaxed atmosphere with a bit of chatter. No rush from the servers to flip tables which is nice. Server didn't seem super attentive, would have been nice to see them more. I ordered the Elvis Presley Memorial Combo, wife got the Tortilla Soup, kids got the chicken tenders and fries and the soft tacos. Food took about 40-45 minutes to come out which is pretty surprising for a Mexican restaurant. Food looked really good (I enjoyed the prrsentation on the Elvis combo), but honestly it was pretty bland. The enchiladas and taco really really needed the sauces that came with them. I ordered a side of Boom Boom sauce because I wanted to see if it was worth $2, was OK. I was happy to see that all of the meals came with rice and refried beans (so many places in Huntsville only come with one and then try and upset the other), but the refried beans looked really old and congealed. Wife thought the Tortilla Soup seemed very fresh The star of the show flavor wise was actually the kid's chicken tenders. They were flavorful and moist and both the wife and I were impressed -- usually kids chicken strips lack flavor and are super dry. Value was decent. Kids meal includes a drink and desert (ice cream or push pop). Solid 3 stars.

We enjoyed a nice lunch at Chuys this weekend. We loved the thin chips. They came out warm, with just the right amount of salt, and went great with the jalapeño ranch and the salsa they serve with them. We ordered the Chicka chicka boom boom and the Shrimp tacos. Both were good. I didn’t give this 5 stars because I wasn’t wowed by the food, but honestly it was good just not great. The boom boom sauce for the chicka chicka was pretty spicy. The shrimp tacos were full of shrimp so much so I basically ate my taco with a fork and didn’t eat the flour tortilla, because it would have been super messy if I had. I really did like the shrimp, it was good just no wow factor for me. I did like it was served with fresh lime to squeeze on it. Our service was pretty good. She was attentive but not too much so which was good. I did have one issue where she brought me a refill for my sweet tea and it was unsweetened. If you are a sweet tea fan and you take a large sip of unsweetened expecting sweet you know how that is rough (iykyk)! The restaurant is clean and decor was fun. We will definitely return and try other food items. I already look forward to the thin chips again!

First time here, had the salad with steak and it was delicious and a large portion. The chips and salsa were also very good, and a good level of spicy. Atmosphere was chill-just please change the music to match the mood of the restaurant! i don’t want to drink tequila and eat Mexican food while listening to elevator music.

Absolutely amazing when we first walked, we stood at the entrance and just embraced the beauty and cleanliness! The smell was just amazing as well. We were greeted immediately so I didn't get a chance to look around through the bar area but at a glance, I was highly impressed and I interested. The restaurant was clean and welcoming! The service was amazing and kind! I have already recommended this place to many and will continue to do so.

Very festive and nicely decorated. Staff is super friendly and polite. Food tasted great and the menu has a wide variety of options. Enchiladas are a must have, the hatch green chili sauce is delicious. Margaritas are sweet and decently sized. Prices are very reasonable. Only issue is that parking can be a little tricky since there are a lot of places sharing the same lot and the spaces are small. Would be easier to find a spot if there weren’t so many cars double parked.
Griffin A — Google review
The salsa and jalapeño ranch were fantastic. Their chips are thin and crispy, and I personally love that because I fill up fast. The thicker the chips, the faster I fill up. Of course I could just skip the chips and dips all together, but they are too good to pass up! For my meal, I got the chicken/steak combo fajitas and they were just okay for me. The steak was very chewy and did not have much flavor, so I wouldn’t recommend them if you’re not into ripping half your taco apart trying to take a bite into the steak and then chewing your food forever. The chicken was much better as far as tenderness goes, but it was still lacking flavor in my opinion. The beans and rice were brought in a bowl smooshed together and on top of one another which was okay with me, but some people have an aversion to things being mixed together, and I could see where this would be an issue for some. Their homemade tortillas are great! They are soft, light and fluffy, and they don’t fall apart on you. My husband got the Tex-Mex enchiladas and there were no complaints from him. We were never offered refills on our waters, we had to ask for napkins and she only brought us 2 which made it seem like they were trying to be skimpy with them for some reason, but you are serving salsa and tacos that drip everywhere! Napkins at the table would be nice or at least hand out more than one per person. I’m sure we could have asked for more, but we should not have to and we try to not be too needy. We also had 2 to-go boxes and 2 cups of jalapeño ranch that the server was so kind to bring me, but no bag to put them in. Those are just little things in the grand scheme of things, so other than those little things, our sever was fantastic! Nice atmosphere. The decor is bright, colorful and fun! Interesting to look around at all of the different artwork and decor pieces. And of course they always have fun t-shirts up front by the hostess stand that you can buy as a souvenir.

Not a fan. Food really had no flavor and the two salsas they give you were gross. The yellow queso was decent and the drinks needed more alcohol. I would not go back. Staff were great.

This is the absolute BEST Mexican restaurant in Huntsville. The food is authentic and tastes so good. Their drinks are great and reasonably priced. The people are extremely friendly. I recommend this place to anyone looking for real Mexican food! The buffet is fabulous and this is the best way to try all their dishes at once.

Stopped here for dinner yesterday, and it was a great experience. We tried the buffet, which offered a lot of different items. Everything tasted good, but could've been a bit hotter and fresher. The flavors were very good though. The service was very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is pretty typical ....lots of bright colors and Mexican-themed decor. Overall, a good experience. We will probably try ordering from the menu next time to see if the food comes out a bit hotter. Very reasonable prices on everything, and a very extensive menu to choose from.

First time there. Found out they have lunch buffet for about $11.50 and WOW....it was very good. I tried a few items I've never tried. They refill your soda and you get a basket of chips and salsa which were very good. Very good value for your money . I recommend them.

I've been coming here for over 10 years, and the food is always consistently great. The buffet is affordable, clean, and absolutely delicious. There's always something fresh and flavorful: chimichangas, fajitas, flautas, chile rellenos, quesadillas, churros, sopapillas, ribs, wings, tacos (hard and soft), tamales, you name it! This place is a true treasure in Huntsville. Highly recommend!

Our server and host were very hospitable and the meal was not bad however when the owner came to our table he greeted my friend(a regular) but acted as if I was invisible....very unprofessional and left a bad taste in my mouth... Pun intended.

Wow!!! We will definitely come back here soon. Service was great, food came out quickly, and you get an awesome bang for your buck! With an appetizer, our total came out to around $30. This place gives off “hole in the wall” vibes but definitely stays busy! If you’re looking not to wait, try to go during a weekday. Pro tip: be sure to order their house-made hot sauce 😍🔥
Annika R — Google review
This place is right around the corner from my house, thought I'd give it another shot after a bad experience a couple years ago. Unfortunately, not much has changed. The food is mediocre at best, the buffet even worse. Went at 5pm. Everything on the buffet looked like it had been there since lunch. Ordered two takeout plates, chicken enchiladas and shrimp fajitas. My dad's enchiladas were a literal hot mess and I'm not even sure the chicken was actually INSIDE the enchiladas. My shrimp fajitas were just ok but very skimpy portion. Terrible value for the money. The guac I ordered wasn't bad, pretty good. The hostess I ordered from had an uncaring, unfriendly attitude right when I walked in the door. Gave me a hard time when I requested the chips and salsa that is supposed to come with each meal as she only brought one order instead of two. I noticed two of the servers either chewing gum or walking around eating which is a health dept violation and pretty gross. I spent $50 on two skimpy, mediocre meals with poor service to boot. Never, ever again.

My friends and family are frequent flyers here!! we try to make it out for taco Tuesday every week, but sometimes we end up here on a Friday night as well! Coming from San Diego, the food is overall pretty good, but when it comes to the drinks, you’ll be impressed! The prices are outstanding for what you get, the service is also fantastic! Many flavors of margaritas and always an option for top shelf liquor for only a dollar more! I do think this is a hidden gem in Madison! I would honestly rather go here than any other restaurant in the Providence area!

We are staying in the area, and this was a close walk after several hours in the car. It was so loud and busy that we couldn't see if there was a hostess stand. A lady finally came up to us and seated us. The food wasn't terrible. There was plenty of it, you could share easily. The Hawaiian chicken quesadilla was just ok. It felt like it was missing something. Was not a fan of the rice at all, but I'm pretty picky when it comes to rice of any kind. The Pico was excellent. The other entrée was a fajita steak burrito. My party loved it, loaded with rice, steak, and veggies. Then smothered in cheese. I would be willing to try other menu items if I was back in the area.

The food was delicious with a large variety of creative options on the menu. The atmosphere was quaint and comfortable. The customer service was satisfactory with room for improvement. On numerous occasions we had to wave down the wait staff for something we needed or wanted. The salsa is fresh and yummy. The handmade margaritas are very reasonable and tasty. A unique flavor that is quite delicious. They have happy hour almost every day with margaritas less than $6. The fajitas with pineapple and pork were super yummy and worth a trip to try. The first order of chips and salsa is free. Subsequent orders of salsa and chips will cost you $3. I personally think they should be free as they are at every other Latin restaurant.

I absolutely love it here! From the decor, music, and outdoor space, it's just such a fun atmosphere. And the food? I have not had one thing here that wasn't amazing. I love that seasoning is used, haha. But seriously, the food, and drinks alike, is always so flavorful! I have never had bad service either, which is becoming more and more rare. My most recent server, Amanda, was super sweet. She explained the menu, new items, and even told me about the rewards program that I wasn't even aware of! I'm already looking forward to my next visit!!

Food was good and service was good- bartender explained the menu in details and nice. Lost 2 stars because they charge a 3% fee for "temporary operating expense". It'll never be temporary and "operating expense" is the cost of doing business and should be what your costs reflect. I dislike this hidden charges to customers, and will always result in a loss of rating.

I think other reviewers have it wrong. Agave and Rye should be considered a bar that sells mini tacos on the side, if you have the munchies. If you don't compare restaurant to restaurant, Agave comes out better. You can choose to sit outside, a smarter option, or inside where the noise level is high and the temperature low. You have to huddle together inside for both warmth and to hear each shout above the din. Hope you don't mind your seatmate's taco breath. Like others, our food order was wrong, and it took forever for two different servers to ever remember to bring requested napkins. We had resorted to using the damp cocktail napkins under our drinks to sop the mini taco drippings from our fingers. Agave is very inventive with their tacos and cutesy names, but you don't get a lot for the dear price you pay. While our original server was super friendly, we only saw her twice in the evening, despite the restaurant being only 15% full. Another server delivered our food and brought our bill. With such brief interactions, I have to ask again why an extra layer of labor is involved. Why can't we just place our order and get our own napkins? And when the mini tacos come up to the window, we can fetch them for ourselves. Instead, we pay a 20% tariff for less than average service. Boo.

Cool building. We got the loaded nachos and brussel sprouts. They were really good! Free chips and queso when you sign up for an account. Chips got way too much salt inedible! Ordered a margarita never got it so just took it off the bill. Watched people get our food around us, I assume the waitress never put the order in and that’s why I never got my drink either. Finally got tacos and they were okay. The birria burrito had good flavor but meat was real tough. The Brussels sprouts was the best thing I had!

Such a great night at Agave and Rye with our friend Amanda. We’re just visiting but Amanda made it feel like home. Such a cool place. We’re from Nashville area and this topped sooooo many places we’ve eaten at. Great job to the service staff and the chefs! The swipe right chicken was amazing. The flight is the way to go for not getting overfilled and their drinks are balanced really well.

I had the chicken and rice plate with a side of beans. Prices are fair for the amount of food received. Highly recommend coming here after spending a day at Blevins Gap as it’s only 7 min away from the trailhead.

When entering Casa Blanca, I expected a small space. It was much larger than I anticipated and colorfully decorated. The decor is fairly typical Mexican restaurant. The murals on the back wall look surrealistic but I have seen the same decor in other restaurants. It essentially depicts people with strange appearance—much as if a person died and has come back to life (see photo). This is not as mellow and relaxing as a beach scene on the Gulf of Mexico but it is colorful. The food and service were very good. I had a chicken dish. The chicken was pounded into a flat piece of chicken and spread out on much of the plate. It had a good flavor and well seasoned. The rice was very good as were the beans although slightly salty. My dining companion had an enchilada dish which was also very good. Prices are reasonable—especially in view of the 8%+ inflation from last year that is now reflected in restaurant prices. Plenty of margaritas to choose from as well!

Server 3 was a nightmare! She became unglued and was absolutely rude at a simple request to heat up my tortilla chips. Literally, she yelled, "They're not cold. They're not cold!" A look of exasperation revealed vexation in her eyes. I should have left then but had already placed my order. Later, when I requested to speak to a manager, her reply was, "They're on break and won't be back until 5 o'clock." From start to finish, her customer service was deplorable. Brownish peaks displayed aging Guacamole - yuk! Plus, the restaurant was frigid. Paying nearly $30 for my meal was frighteningly excessive for the worst in customer service! Some notable moments were special! Warm quesadillas were delicious to taste as were the refried beans. Pineapple tea was island-like perfection. Thankfully, a few and only a few bright spots emerged. Moving forward, I think I would rather patronize the Casa Blanca on Hwy 72 W than the one at 7900 Bailey Cove Rd.

I love this place so much, so I was super excited to have it again having just moved back to town! Absolutely delicious, great service, and fair prices. As others have mentioned, the portions are pretty big, so, in my opinion, you’re definitely getting a bang for your buck!

We had 15 guests in our party. We were feeding the speaker. The food was OK. The beef taco salad was not that good. There was no tomatoes on it. I had lettuce taken off. Cheese was on the beef and sour cream and Pico de gallo was on the side with cheese sauce in a small cup.

Tex-Mex restaurant
Fire & Spice Food Truck has made quite a name for itself in the culinary scene of Huntsville, Alabama. Originally starting as a food truck, it now boasts a charming brick-and-mortar location in southeast Huntsville. This Tex-Mex eatery is renowned for its mouthwatering tacos and burritos that beautifully blend traditional Mexican flavors with bold Texan influences.
I've eaten it there. Food truck, when they're at the Orion Amphitheater, a couple of times. The food has always been fantastic! Their service is always been top notch! I will certainly be there again!!
Michael S — Google review
I was excited to try this food truck. It's been around for a while and I've never had the chance to eat here. The service was nice and fairly quick, mostly with it being so busy. The guy at the door was very nice. I got the Southern Bell tacos. I liked them. They were pretty good. I guess I expected more flavor. Chicken was kinda cold too. Maybe it was an off night though. I'll definitely try them again soon!
P G — Google review
I was excited to try it. I wanted to love it, since it's closer than Local Taco. It's alright, but when it comes to flavor, Local Taco wins hands-down and is worth the extra distance for us. Local Taco is also a better dollar value. Fire & Spice doesn't have fountain drinks. That would have given them one more star. Drinks by the bottle are expensive.
Clan M — Google review
I’ve had fire and spice in the past and enjoyed it, but recently it’s really bad. I got the Santa Fe tacos and they were awful. The chicken tasted fishy and the corn looked like it came out of a can. Also the chips that came on the side were definitely from a bag, like Tostitos. It was like I was eating at a white people taco night. Really disappointing.
Anah — Google review
I've gotten tacos from the truck multiple times. Brisket tacos have become my go-t0 and they are fantastic. Pricing is a little steep, but that's to be expected with a food truck. I think it's one of the best food trucks in town.

Tried your truck for the first time yesterday at the sunflower field. LOVED the tacos I had however I was disappointed that you didn’t have any drinks available and we had to go to a different truck for drinks.

Los Mariachis is a hidden gem nestled in Huntsville, Alabama, that has recently undergone a transformation for the better. This charming neighborhood Mexican restaurant offers delicious food at lower prices than before, making it an attractive dining option. The inviting atmosphere has been enhanced with fresh decor, creating a cozy space to enjoy your meal. Guests rave about the attentive service and friendly staff who go above and beyond to ensure a pleasant experience.
This restaurant has changed hands many times and over the last couple years, I was very disappointed in the food and the prices. Well, it's in good hands now. The prices are LOWER. The food is very good, the service is nice, and they have redecorated the inside. It is a fine small neighborhood Mexican restaurants that you can hardly see, but it is across Whitesburg from Burger King so they are very convenient to downtown. Give them a try. I know I will be back soon!

My bona fides are that I am old and disabled. Monday, August 25, 2025, the owner had parked his white van in the single handicap spot at the restaurant with no placard or valid sticker. I spoke with him telling him it was a violation of the law. He was dismissive, then rude, and then argumentative while his staff simultaneously tried to explain that he could park there as long as there were other parking spots available. I tried to explain he must never park there without a valid handicap license. I have eaten there almost once a week since 2004 and will never return.

This Mexican restaurant has the best salsa, in my opinion. It's not spicy, but very flavorful! Also, their Hawaiian Papas Fries were great!

Enjoyed this place until I left tip on the table & I guess that wasn't enough for them so they took extra off my debit card for more tip. Called & was told I could bring my receipt. I threw my receipt away because I didn't know I was going to be ripped off & I don't live close by.

Passing through and found this place on Google Maps search, glad we stopped there. The food (shrimp chili relleno and chicken fajitas)was great and more than enough for the price. Already told family and friends to stop in and we will be returning on our travels through the area. Enjoyed!

La Colonial Supermercado y Taqueria is a popular mexican restaurant in Huntsville, AL. It offers delicious food and an amazing atmosphere. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and the prices are very reasonable.
Excellent! It's the best authentic hole-in-the-wall, located in the back of a grocery store Mexican restaurant; It's absolutely fantastic! My husband and I drove three hours to try this place; I must admit, it was discovered on TikTok. Their homemade tortilla chips are well worth another 6 hours round trip! We will definitely come back! 🤩❤️

This is a hidden gem! Located within a grocery store, that has a lot of things that will catch your eye. The food is very good . We had the combo with birria ramen w/ egg rolls and taco's. The fried tamales were a bit overcooked but everything else was great. Will definitely recommend
Chris E — Google review
Sadly, this didn’t hit the spot at all. Service and atmosphere was fine. But the birria egg rolls were a miss. The chicken tacos and spicy pork tacos were both genuinely bland. Sauces were good, however. I may give them another shot but there’s too many other places with much better tacos for me to return any time soon.
Jacob A — Google review
So few things. Atmosphere is 3 because it’s inside a store and some people might not like the smell that comes from the meat/butcher side. Been here years ago and got say food wise has improved greatly. Their prices are very reasonable. If you are curving some authentic Mexican food , come check them out. (Side note they do have so that have slight twists on them which are also great.

This is a literal hole in the wall restaurant that serves amazing authentic Mexican food. You will enter through the supermarket doors and turn left to enter the dining area. Sit down at any table and a waiter will come to you with menus and salsa. Once done, take your ticket to the supermarket cash register to pay. I had the pollo loco entree and some birria tacos. Everything was absolutely amazing! The beans are definitely in my top three Mexican restaurants of all time. Prices were very reasonable and the portion sizes are filling. Definitely a must try Mexican restaurant in HSV. This is a hidden gem. We went on cinco de mayo and there was almost no one eating here. If you live in HSV, give this local place a try! You won’t regret it.
Aliza B — Google review
Birria egg rolls are the hit here!! The tacos 🌮 have so much flavor and the ramen is mouthwatering! We will ALWAYS stop here on our way through Huntsville!
Erika B — Google review
I’ve visited Huntsville frequently, and three years ago, this restaurant stood out with its fresh, delicious offerings that easily surpassed the competition. After trying nearly every Mexican spot in the area, it was clear they were the best. Unfortunately, on my recent visit, the quality had noticeably declined. My server was nice to remove the caldo de res from my check. Kudos to her! Only to serve me some disappointing tacos, at least they were edible. That said, it’s important to note that many of the area’s competitors have closed, highlighting a shift in the local dining scene. There’s still potential here, and I believe they can return to their previous standards with a renewed focus on quality.

El Palomino Taqueria is a delightful gem for anyone craving authentic Mexican cuisine, especially if you're in the Huntsville area. Known for its mouthwatering lengua and tripe tacos, this taqueria offers a vibrant atmosphere that welcomes you as soon as you step inside. The cleanliness and decor set the stage for an enjoyable dining experience, complemented by fresh chips and salsa served right at your table.
10/10 So good!! We came here for the first time today and I hate that I have missed out on this place, all this time!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! 1. The food is AMAZING. 2. It's not busy at all, so you get great service. I feel like this place has been slept on. The chips and salsa were great. I got Jamaica to drink and the cup was so big, I never needed a refill. I got the steak burrito for my meal and ate every bite. I'll be ordering that again next time! The man working was so nice! He brought us out the sauces and said one was spicy and one was mild, both of them we're actually pretty spicy (which I love). One was jalapeño and the other was red pepper. Can't wait to go back!
Makenna P — Google review
Good food and plenty of it! Last night I wanted breakfast for dinner. But not just breakfast: Mexican breakfast! And since El Palomino is one of only a few local Mexican restaurants that serve breakfast all day, the choice was easy. El Palomino also has an extensive selection of the usual Mexican dishes and I plan to return to try more! The menu includes at least 6 breakfast plates and I opted for Huevos con Chorizo, which comes with rice, beans and flour or corn tortillas. The slices of avocado on the plate were a nice bonus. The refritos were good, creamy and hot with melted cheese on top. The rice was rather plain, but had decent seasoning and adding some of the tasty salsa (provided "gratuitamente" with tortilla chips) made the rice terrific. The eggs scrambled with sausage were quite good! One warning: they bring two sauces to the table: a mild green sauce and a NOT mild red sauce. The red sauce has excellent flavor but must be used carefully-it IS potent! I enjoyed a LARGE glass of horchata with my meal. If you aren't familiar with horchata, google it and if it appeals to you give it a try next time you're eating at a Mexican restaurant that serves it, It's sweet, cinnamon-y and refreshing with spicy food, Reasonable prices, quick, friendly service, clean, inviting decor! I WILL be back and recommend that you give El Palomino a try..
JOHN M — Google review
The first thing I noticed was how clean and well decorated the place is. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and told to choose our seat. As soon as we sat down we were brought fresh chips and salsa which were delicious. We got a variety of beef tacos which I would stack up against the best west coast street tacos any day. The well spiced horchata did a wonderful job of cooling the spice of the fresh and delicious house taco sauces. Got strawberry churros for dessert and they were absolutely divine. Will definitely have to come back and try the elote. Accessible, clean, well ventilated, dividers at checkout, inclusive, fast, friendly service, masks required when not eating, server wears mask

Fantastic authentic Mexican food. To start, the chips and salsa was very good. The food came out reasonably fast and everything was cooked nicely. It was so hard to decide what to eat because all of their items are very good. I look forward to more visits here in the future !

I went there to try a birria for the first time. It was the best Mexican meal I've had in Huntsville. It didn't take long at all for the order to get there either. Everyone was nice, will definitely be going back. For $9.99 I had 3 big birrias and I had to give the third to my dad because I was so full. Only complaint is the chips. The salsa is good but those chips are really hard in a stale kinda way.

Condado Tacos is an exciting addition to Huntsville, having opened its doors on December 7th. This award-winning taco chain is celebrated for its delicious and customizable tacos, refreshing margaritas, and extensive tequila selection. Located at 401 Williams Ave. SW, it’s the second Condado location in Alabama after Cahaba Village in Mountain Brook. The buzz around this unique eatery began last March when they announced their plans to open in Huntsville.
After a long day at the CUSA men’s / women’s basketball tournament, I opted to dine here for a quick bite to eat. Since it was late at night, there were no other customers in sight. We ordered the crunch box & the bud box. The tacos were terrific. Some of them spicy, some savory and some were typical. The salsa was some of the best I’ve had from a chain. Everything we ordered was great!
Tyler S — Google review
I popped into Condado Tacos for my first visit on a Taco Tuesday, and let me tell you, it was freaking delicious! Even though they didn’t have any Taco Tuesday specials, every bite was worth every dollar spent. I ordered the shrimp taco and the margarita flight (highly recommend!), and everything hit the spot. What really stood out was how accommodating the staff was with my dietary needs. I ended up building my own taco from scratch, and they were super friendly and helpful throughout the whole process. The vibe is great too, very cool aesthetics and fun energy. If the weather’s nice, definitely grab a seat outside. It’s the perfect spot for people-watching with the park right across the street. Can’t wait to go back!

The food came super fast and was very tasty. We both got the bowls. I got swole bowl with chicken and toppings, my fiancé got build your own bowl and he loved it too. The bowls were yummy and very sizable portion. However, I think our server was working overtime. She was super nice, but we didn’t get to pay for our food for a while, so that was a little bit annoying. Other than that, it was great! Loved the food!

This is one of those places where I wish I had more than 5 stars to rate them. We ordered a bunch of items and had GrubHub deliver them to us late tonight....almost 11pm. The food arrived well packaged, warm, and the order wasn't missing a thing. Soooo.....let's talk about flavor. AMAZING! My hubby got a Carne Asada Burrito and a Braised and Confused Taco, (We wanted to have extras for leftovers tomorrow. The burrito was massive and stuffed completely full of fresh ingredients. The taco was also delicious, and had a great combination of beef brisket, rice, jicama, cabbage slaw, etc. I tried the Baja Shrimp Taco which was super fresh and tasty, and had the most amazing mango-basil Baja sauce. I also tried the Sweet Heat Taco, which was filled with beef brisket, onions, cilantro, pineapple salsa, habanero-mango salsa and chipotle honey. Soooo good! Their Smoked Cheddar Queso with chips was really good as well. So happy we have enough for leftovers because I am quite sure I will want this again tomorrow! We will definitely add this to our list of favorites.

I should have taken a picture before I dug in, but oh well - you'll just have to teust me! I had an awesome Southwest Midwest bowl and it was delicious. It was a huge portion (picture is what I couldn't eat) and will make a great leftover snack for later. The rice was tender and perfectly cooked, roasted chicken breast, lots of fresh toppings, a nice seasoned dressing/crema of some kind and crumbled cotija cheese. Service was prompt, was seated immediately, food came out quickly.

Nestled in the vibrant Bridge Street Town Centre of Huntsville, Alabama, Cantina Laredo is a chic dining destination that elevates traditional Mexican cuisine with a contemporary flair. This upscale chain restaurant specializes in authentic dishes inspired by the rich flavors of Mexico City. Picture succulent grilled fish, chicken, or steak drizzled with unique signature sauces like chipotle-wine and Portobello mushroom—each bite is a delightful experience.
The food is great and the service is phenomenal. This is my fourth trip to Cantina Laredo and I'm always seated promptly. The atmosphere is top notch with a fun option to sit outside when the weather permits. MY server for 2 of my visits was Sam. In asking for her you will get a knowledgeable, enthusiastic (but not over the top) waitress who provides service above what you would expect from Laredo's tier. Sam informed us of the slight and major menu changes. The Manger on duty at the time of one of my visits (a young lady) was also very accommodating. My last visit was for my Mothers 71st birthday and it was fantastic. The food was fresh, came fast and was delicious. They brought a special dessert for her- sparkler and all. Awesome experience, I will definitely go again.

Plata Guadalajara (combo) Chile Poblano (combo) Queso dip The food is always excellent. I always order one or the other of the two above. The Poblano plates (each or the combo comes with two) comes with two massive Poblano stuffed with cheese and meat, covered in cheese and a salad or shredded lettuce with guac on it. The Plata Guadalajara comes with two plates with a single cheese filled Poblano, a burrito, a hard taco, a tostada covered in lettuce tomatoes sour cream, an enchilada, and some other rolled food items I forget the name of. It's a lot of food..see photo The entire meal with queso and one of the aforementioned combos , and drink, is right at 20$. The amount of food is just right....for two meals. I always choose one or the other I listed above and don't have any experience with the others but from what I e seen they're all very large and around 12-15 dollars. Well, well worth it. The restaurant staff are always great and punctual and the food is some of the best and consistent of any Mexican restaurants in Huntsville. What the menu says is what you get, and you know what it will taste like before you even order it, as consistent as they are. I've never had a bad experience here. Frankly, it's one of the best and most underrated Mexican restaurants in Huntsville. Some of the best food. And 100% best food for the dollar, even with the higher food prices we see these days. If you haven't been, at least give it a shot. You may find yourself here way more than expected once you do.

Rosie's Schmozey's! Why didn't I know that Guadalajara existed until today?? Y'all!!! Spoiler alert, the Guadalajara special #33 is where it is at. Just trust me... Plenty of food, great prices, even a good frozen margarita. I will definitely be back to try more here!

Food was fine, but came in for lunch at 1130 and the server rang it up as dinner and got charged dinner price and got charged for the drink as well that comes with the lunch special on top of not even bringing all of my food items. Went ahead and paid what he set it up as since I'm not going to raise hell over 20 bucks, but make sure if you go here during lunch you specify if ordering from lunch menu because they obviously don't care about overcharging their customers.

Guadalajara has very good food, the portions are large and it's always fresh. The price is very reasonable as well, definitely more affordable than other Mexican restaurants. And the service is very good. We've been coming here for years and are never disappointed.

Restaurant
El Olmeca is a mexican restaurant with delicious food and themed salsa nights. The staff is bilingual and the atmosphere is relaxed and fun. You will always get great service from them. On Sundays-Thursday, El Olmeca opens at 11am for their happy hour and buffet lunch until 3pm. Friday-Saturday it opens at 11am for their regular menu which includes breakfast, lunch, appetizers, entrées, desserts, and drinks until 10pm.
Always an excellent time at El Olmeca! Great food, service is wonderful. They are attentive and food comes out fast and hot. The chips and salsa taste fresh and have the perfect amount of spice. We love the cheese dip here. And all of their food is well seasoned. They also have some really good lunch specials which are also served Sunday which I appreciate. The bar is really cute with the tiled counter. I only have great things to say about this place and we will continue to come back.

A local recommended this restaurant, and it definitely did not disappoint. The atmosphere was lively, with a fun general knowledge quiz playing in the background—perfect for filling any quiet moments. The food was outstanding, and it was our first time trying authentic Mexican cuisine beyond Taco Bell. The Tres Amigos dish, featuring chicken, beef, shrimp, and rice, was incredibly flavorful—especially with a generous addition of queso sauce for that extra kick. The enchiladas were delicious as well, and the portion sizes were impressive for the price. If you're looking for great Mexican food, this place is a must-try—you won’t be disappointed

Love this place!! They have the best queso dip in Huntsville, bar none. I ordered the chicken and rice which they top with this amazing cheese sauce and pork tamales, every bite was delicious and the portions are enormous. The staff are very friendly & welcoming, and see to it we are happy with everything. We will be coming back here for sure!!

Food was pretty good, but the lunch portion I ordered was so small i regret ordering on the lunch menu here. It did look like an entree on a kids meal with the full size beans and rice. But, I did appreciate the little plate of salad, pico, and guacamole that helped make it a meal.

El Olmeca is located in the Kroger shopping center on Highway 72 in Madison. The food and the service are great. The lunch menu (see photos) is a great value with large portions. All meals start with chips and salsa. The Pollo Supremo (chicken and rice) and the Steak Quesadilla Lunch were both great, and we each had more than we could eat.

We stopped here for dinner for our first time. Mexican can really vary, but this is kind of what I consider standard Tex Mex in most states I have had Mexican in. This isn’t a bad thing, but it’s not my favorite type of Mexican, although a lot of people love it. So take this rating with that in mind. Chips and salsa were good. Salsa was more acidic than I am used to, but that was a good thing. I like varying types of salsa. They came with some beans too and these were probably my favorite part of the meal. My wife had some nachos and she really liked them. If she did reviews, she probably would have rated the place a 4. She didn’t say anything about it, but the lettuce on her nachos seemed pretty steamed and wilted when she got them. That would have been a big no no for me. I had the enchiladas suiza. The green sauce was good and the chicken was ok on its own, but close to blandish. Kind of middle of the road enchiladas for me. The beans were good. The rice was a bit mushy and not for me. The place was decorated well and our server was great however. I mean, give it a shot as my tastes differ and my wife liked it more.

Popped in for lunch on a Saturday hoping to find a nice getaway from the hustle of chaotic weekenders. And I did just that. Greeted right away and had helpful friendly service amidst a shift change. Everyone was so nice. I am Pescatarian so I was happy to see several vegetarian and seafood options. I had the shrimp taco salad and a margarita ( 3p just in time for happy hour $6 ) it was perfect. Can't wait to visit again!!

The food is excellent. Especially the carne asada and al pastor tacos. The salsa is always fresh and tasty too! Every single one of the servers are very friendly and attentive. We will continue to support this outstanding local business.

Mi Delicioso Guanajuato is a new Mexican restaurant in Huntsville that offers an authentic taste of Mexican cuisine. The menu features popular dishes like enchiladas and Camarones del Sol, as well as a variety of freshly made desserts and sweet drinks. The owner, Karina, takes pride in creating Mexican-inspired pastries and other sweet treats from scratch.
I love this place so much that I went twice this weekend! In my quest to find Mexican food similar to what I'm used to from living close to the border in San Diego the last 30 years, I came across this place in a Google search and am so glad I did! The food is fresh, flavorful, and authentic, and the owner, Karina, is so sweet and dedicated to making sure customers are happy. It is very close to Campus 805 and is well worth it if you're in the area or feel like venturing out for lunch or dinner.

For what it is, it's very costly. First time stopper, good rating. But the cost of what we received was just to much for the value. Mid flavors. Heard a microwave, not knocking it, but again for the price you pay unexpected. Service was exceptional, and atmosphere was chill.
Daniel W — Google review
We want to come here daily. Perfectly balanced margarita, not too sweet. Street tacos to die for. There are diced fresh onions AND grilled onions on the tacos! Salsa flavors that are both a deep sultry kiss and simultaneous slap in the face. Try the green tamale too! Why can’t we eat more? Life is terribly unfair sometimes.

One of my favorite authentic Mexican restaurants in town. They have such a large variety of food with pictures. They even serve coffee and pastries. The owner at the front of the restaurant is polite and very helpful with menu selections. Food/Drink: I ordered a Jamaica (Hibiscus). It wasn’t too sweet, and had the right amount of tartness. Compared to Tex Mex and Mexican restaurants in town, they provide a meager amount of chips, but they are freshly made with some homemade salsa. I didn’t really have to worry about snacking on the chips because my food came out fairly quickly. I ordered some Mole Enchiladas and received some large portions. The chicken enchiladas were a little juicy, and the mole really enhanced the flavor. I loved the smokiness of the ancho falling through + the chocolate flavor. The cotija cheese and crema drizzled on top of the mole was good too. It had a tinge of sweetness, and paired well with the Jamaica. I recommend you try this place out!

I got the chicken flautas & carne asada tacos. Tacos were great along with the flautas. I would recommend asking for them not to put lettuce under your flautas as they get soggy. Other than that a great dine in experience! Definitely recommend coming here

Don't sleep on this gem 💎 we've spent the entire summer vacation in search of decent Mexican food in Alabama & being an Arizona native this bar is set high! Every place we tried prior to Mi Delicioso Guanajuarto has fallen short with bland food and subpar flavor. However, the moment we walked in here I knew we were in for a real treat! The auroma, the atmosphere, the music, and a warm welcome from the owner Karina (who by the way is so kind, lovley to talk with, and ensured we had everything we needed and more). The food is SOOO good and authentic! 🥰 It was everthing we've been searching for! Every single dish was raved about by our party of 5. We ordered so many things and my only regret is not being able to try more! This will absolutely be our go to spot & I cannot wait for the next visit! Run, don't walk to visit this place if you haven't already!

Quaint little Puerto Rican restaurant just down the street, 1 block from Campus 805. Went at the behest of our Puerto Rican Warrant Officer at work, for a work luncheon outside the office. Ordered one of my favorites, the Cubano sandwich...and can now say this one was the best I've ever had. I also ordered some sweet plantains on the side and a mango juice to drink. 2 of my Hispanic companions ordered the roasted pork with mofongo (green plantain) , with rice and peas, and yucca (potato family). The other ordered mofongo with octopus salad...which was actually very light, with olive oil, olives, only a slight seafood taste, and very tender; not chewy at all. I would've never guessed the lite and flavorful taste from a dish with octopus in it. It is all cooked a veerrry long time to ensure the pork and octopus is flavorful and very tender! If you love molasses and have never tried Malta, you are doing your taste buds a disservice. You must get the Malta 'India' brand made in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, (which is actually my friend's hometown). Everything was muy, muy Bien! Friendly and courteous staff and ofcourse very fluent. Many desserts to choose from including Flan and ofcourse, very good coffee, to include flavored coffee. (Coconut and pumpkin, among many others.) If you're itching for some flavors from the island, this is a must stop, hideaway!

Really cool place! The free tour (free beer included) is a perfect way to spend a Saturday afternoon. Roadkill, the tour guide, is awesome and makes the experience so much fun. Highly recommend going here if you’re looking for something to do in the area.
Philip F — Google review
Food was mid at best. The ale was the best part and I guess that makes sense for a brewery, but the food fare was so average. The bbq poutine was imbalanced, the pulled pork tasted old and reheated, the Bistro burger was the saltiest burger I’ve ever tasted, and the three cheese pizza tasted like something I could’ve purchased in a gas station. The cherry on top for the experience was the little cockroach circling our family near the high top table during our meal. Not a top tier recommendation for Huntsville. Highly overrated.
Billy B — Google review
I loved it here! The service was excellent, the first waitress we had gave amazing recommendations based on my first couple beer choices and offered samples so I could narrow down which one I wanted and nailed my flavor profile. She was just delightful, so we came back a second time. The large pretzel was one of the best I’ve ever had with great beer cheese sauce, nice and warm (not like it had been sitting out). The salad on the menu was tasty and very fresh. The cheese curds were hot and fresh and delicious. My friend ordered the jerk chicken tacos and enjoyed them. The kids chicken tenders and fries were delightful as well. Make sure you check out the back patio on a nice day, we didn’t find it until the second time! A very cool space and tasty food. I also got some cans to go, which she grabbed for me and put right on my tab.

Such a cool craft brewery. If you are available to go on a Saturday afternoon, would highly recommend the brewery tour. You get to see a true behind the scenes look at how they operate. Couldn’t recommend it more.

Nice taproom with ~20 beers on draft. Good atmosphere and you can see the brewhouse while you eat & drink. The Monkeynaut IPA that I had fresh on draft was waaaaaay better than the ones I’ve tried in cans elsewhere.

The staff was friendly, the beer is locally made and I have no complaints about the food. The Canadian style poutine was delicious and I'd recommend it to just about anyone.

Paid $40 to dine in and felt completely overlooked. It felt like pulling teeth just to place my order at the bar (patio) or ask for a to-go box. I always tip 20–30%, but this was the first time I genuinely couldn’t justify leaving one. If this is the level of service for dine-in customers, you’re better off just ordering to-go.

La Finka Mexican Restaurant & Grill is a delightful gem in Huntsville's vibrant culinary landscape, offering an inviting atmosphere reminiscent of a rustic Spanish villa with modern industrial touches. Guests can enjoy the warm hospitality and friendly service while indulging in their signature dishes. Start your meal with crispy tortilla chips paired with flavorful tomato salsa, setting the stage for a memorable dining experience. The menu features standout items like the beef chimichanga and grilled chicken salad, which has garnered rave reviews from patrons.
Absolutely delicious Mexican food served in huge portion sizes. We split the Mar y Tierra and the pollo ixtapa entrees. Both were huge and we barely finished the meals. Left overly full. We really loved the fish and the shrimp especially. Everything here is very well priced and not expensive at all. The chips and salsa were complimentary. We walked in around 6pm and were seated immediately. Not crowded at all inside. Service was fast and friendly. I would highly recommend this place to anyone hungry and wanting a ton of food.

Sheeesh this wasn't it for us. We came here last Thursday to play trivia after we missed our usual Monday night trivia engagement. We thought it might be fun to try somewhere new, but I highly doubt we'll play at this place again. Now I will say all this with the caveat that pretty much no one in our party is a huge fan of this style of Mexican food. Still, this stood out as particularly unpleasant, even to our perspective. The atmosphere is nice enough, at least; it's a very spacious restaurant with lots of seating, tall ceilings, and lots of interesting art. As others have noted, it is pretty loud inside and it can be hard to hear both waiters and others in your party. We were seated at a booth for four. Chips and salsa were forthcoming; the chips were hot and fresh and the salsa was generic but enjoyable. As is often the case, the chips and salsa were the highlight for most of us. Our waiter did not seem to speak a ton of English and either didn't understand or couldn't answer one of my mom's questions about the menu. No big deal to me or her, but something to be aware of when you visit. My mom just got cheese dip, my dad got an a la carte beef burrito and crunchy chicken taco, my friend got a beef chimichanga, and I got the chicken and vegetable plate. Our food came out in a reasonable amount of time. My mom's cheese dip was as expected but being cheese dip it was the best thing we ate. My chicken and vegetable plate was runner up, though mostly because it too came with cheese dip. My chicken was under-seasoned and the vegetables were under-cooked and extremely crunchy. The rice was okay. My buddy who ordered the beef chimichanga did not get it. The waiter delivered a chicken chimichanga and seemed confused when my friend tried to correct the order. My friend decided it wasn't worth the battle and said he'd settle for chicken. He ultimately said the chicken was weird and very dry and he didn't enjoy it. On the bright side, they left off the $2 up-charge for a chicken chimichanga on the bill, so I guess there's that. My dad said his beef burrito had little flavor but was edible. The shredded chicken taco, he said, was totally inedible and just nasty. He didn't eat it beyond the first bite. When it came time to pay, the waiter brought out a ticket for my parents and a ticket for me and my friend, despite us asking to pay separately. My friend picked up the tab and I Venmoed him later. It was pricy, at about $25 for my entree and Diet Coke + tip. An all-around frustrating and unpleasant first (and likely last) visit here. Trivia was fun as usual, but we will stick to our Monday night haunt whenever we can.

I opted for the Hawaiian fajitas, and they truly exceeded my expectations! The dish was accompanied by traditional favorites like zesty Pico de gallo, creamy sour cream, crunchy tortilla chips, vibrant salsa, and luscious guacamole, all of which harmonized beautifully with the flavors of the fajitas. However, I have a couple of suggestions to elevate the experience even further: allowing the pineapple to caramelize a bit longer would deepen the sweetness and add a delightful richness. Additionally, a little less cheese might enhance the overall balance, as it somewhat overshadowed the other delicious components for me. Nevertheless, it was still a fantastic meal that left me thoroughly satisfied.

Friendly staff, great food. A beautiful interior! And quite possibly the best quesabirria I've ever had. The Bob Marley margarita was delicious too. Will definitely be back.

Stopped here for dinner yesterday and it was amazing! The chips and salsa were fresh, hot and crisp, and the server got our drinks immediately. Our orders came out quickly and everything was cooked to perfection. My husband had the Fiesta Rancheros...grilled steak, chicken and shrimp with onions and broccoli over rice with cheese sauce....and I had the Chimichanga plate...three chimis (beef, chicken, and shrimp) with rce, beans and salad. The portions were large, and the food was fresh and hot. The prices here were very reasonable....approx $40 for our meal, including a 20% tip. We will definitely be back again.
Michele P — Google review
You'll walk into this place and love the way it looks. They definitely did a great job on creating a nice atmosphere, but that's where the goodness ends. The food is edible, but doesn't taste great and it's definitely NOT authentic or anything close. You can tell the food is microwaved. Service is too fast. The actual plates are always ridiculously hot, the food is smothered in sauce to try to make up for the lack of seasoning. It does not make up for the lack of seasoning. Everything is kinda haphazardly thrown together and falls apart. They will put the same meat in any kind of tortilla you want and it results in a menu work little variety of flavor and texture. The free chips and salsa are pretty much the star of the show. The rest falls incredibly flat. Cheap though so there's that. I'd give it a Huntsville 5 which is an anywhere else 2.

Favorite sit down Mexican restaurant that I've tried here! 1000x better than Rosie's or Phil Sandevals. Very tasty roast beef. Only weak point is that salsa for chips is a bit on the watery side but the food itself was great!

What an awesome place for a romantic date night or a place to bring friends for a great vibe! The dreamy outdoor lights and plants drew us in. Our server Shaun was incredible and had a cheery personality. We both agreed that we had the best buffalo wings of our lives and we cannot wait to try the other flavors!! The menu did not lie- the wings had a golden crisp. The chicken was juicy and the wings were big and fresh! The ranch was delicious as well. Our cheesecake looks great as you can see here but was outrageously overpriced at $18 a slice and was overcooked and under-sweetened. But the dessert was our only complaint. We will definitely be back again!!

Whether it is Beezr Oktoberfest, half priced bottles of wine on thursday, or one of Heiko’s signature frappachino martinis, they are going to take care of you! Nice brewery taproom downtown in a restored old building. Plenty of tables upstairs and downstairs with a big bar opposite the brewing area (Chandler Ford Brewing). The beer is fresh and tasty, and they have some guest taps on hand to supplement the somewhat limited brewery taps. The service is top-notch, very attentive from the guy at the door to the bartenders. Parking in the garage next door is free on the weekends, otherwise you’ll need to find street parking.

Wonder experience. The food was great and the atmosphere encouraged communication with friends. There are several areas to sit (outside, inside balcony, at the bar, or next to the brewers). The waiting staff are nice and friendly. I wouldn’t bring children in due to the bar environment, but the outside area was clean convenient and artsy. I will absolutely be back. P.S. Stumbled upon this coffee shop while waiting for dinner at a neighboring restaurant and we were blown away. We truly think we found the best coffee shop in Huntsville! Since we’re both lactose intolerant we were more than thrilled at all of the dairy free options including whipped cream. Their iced lattes are so delicious. The bean does not taste bitter and the milk, sugar and flavors are so well balanced. They don't make the drinks too sweet. I really have enjoyed the drinks I've gotten from Northside coffee. Not many people know about them and I feel like more people should!

I couldn’t be happier with Northside Coffee. I recently placed an online order for a light roast ground Colombia Caladas Juan Felipe. The ordering process was quick and easy and Northside kept me updated via email on my order status. A few short days later, I received my coffee in nice keep-fresh packaging. The coffee smelt great, and I loved the flavor— hints of dried raspberry. I would order from Northside again, and I highly recommend Northside to anyone who enjoys exceptional coffee.

Buenavista Mexican Cantina is a beloved family-owned restaurant chain that has been delighting the North Alabama community for over 25 years. Originating in Scottsboro, this vibrant eatery now boasts locations in Hampton Cove and Madison, offering a lively atmosphere perfect for a fun dining experience. As you step inside, you're greeted by an inviting ambiance that sets the stage for enjoying their delicious offerings. A standout on their menu is undoubtedly the famous Street tacos, which are a must-try!
I had an amazing lunch at Buena Vista in Hampton Cove! The food was fresh, flavorful. I highly recommend the grilled chicken and rice. The staff was warm and attentive, and the atmosphere was so inviting. It’s the perfect spot for a delicious meal and great vibes. Can’t wait to come back! 🙌

Delicioso! Excellent. This is one of our go to restaurants. The food is always good. Service is fast. The atmosphere is fun. There is always plenty of seating. Try their specials, they have some unique dishes. We have always left satisfied!

Chips and dip were a letdown. Chips were greasy and stale; salsa was unexceptional. Our server was not bad, but not great either. The food came out fast. The Nachos Al Pastor was Very good. The chips in it was crispy and there was a good toppings to chip ratio. The toppings were not overly wet and the chips maintained their crunch throughout. Grilled pineapple was a great flavor burst and there was enough to complement every bite. Highly recommended.

I've always loved going here. But the reason for the two star review is no matter how I pay. I get charged a convenience fee. I pay cash and I'm charged a convenience fee for paying with cash. Same thing for using a card. Why should I have to pay a convenience fee Just to pay for my bill? After going there since they opened and even before they were over there, I'm definitely going to cut back. It's not a lot. Don't get me wrong. It's the fact that no matter what they charge you for the way you pay and tax it on top of that. To add on. First time back, ordering take out. This is all they give you to go for 4 people, which I didn’t mind adding on for a reasonable price.Even though the total was already $60: But the little 4 oz salsa and this size bag of chips is $5. Insane, going to stay away- only went as a request from family.
S P — Google review
The service that served us was courteous and very friendly, what caused me doubt is that I felt the chicken wings, although they were recently cooked, were on the verge of being spoiled. Although I must say there were a lot of people, there was no space to park.
Dagmar P — Google review
We didn’t understand why this place only got 4.2 stars, because we found it to be an excellent Mexican restaurant. The staff were very friendly, and they have a large indoor seating area with a sports bar feel in part of it, and they also have a large enclosed patio area with heaters. The main restaurant area was busy and somewhat loud, so we opted to sit in the enclosed patio, which was nice and quiet. The salsa was very good with just a little heat to it without having to add hot sauce. The chips were thin and crisp. We ordered house margaritas, and we both felt they tasted very good, but could be a little less sweet. She got the trio quesadillas, which were very fresh and delicious. I got the street tacos, which were absolutely incredible. I’m not kidding when I say I never order tacos at a Mexican restaurant, but when we ask the server what she orders, she suggested those two dishes. We couldn’t have been happier with her recommendation. The street tacos were some of the best I’ve ever had. I particularly enjoyed the pork field taco, as it was so savory and deep in flavor. The Charro beans were a delicious side with the tacos, especially after adding a couple drops of habanero sauce to them. They had a nice smoky pork flavor. We would definitely return frequently if we lived in this area.

Eating in or carrying out its the best place to get Mexican food. Food is always good and they are always super fast and friendly. Never seen a place be so fast yet still have that great quality food. I appreciate everyone who works there they have a great crew!

We went on Tuesday the special was chicken or beef chimichanga for 14.95. That’s what we had, we ordered beef and the waiter asked if we wanted ground or shredded beef we chose shredded. The plate was huge plenty for 2 people and tasty. I ordered a cheese enchilada with lettuce, the waiter didn’t tell me it already came with lettuce. We were charged 1.00 for lettuce. The bill came and the charge was 17.95 for the chimichanga plate plus 2.00 for shredded beef. We told him our charge should only be 14.95 he said that’s for ground beef. Deceptive people, we will not return. Ask questions so you don’t get ripped like we did.

Have been going to El Coyote for years. I consider it Stephanie approved. I’ve lived in highly populated areas where Hispanic food is everywhere. They make good Mexican. I’ll drive there from Huntsville often for it. They have the thinnest crispest chips with the best salsa! I got the street taco deal with one extra taco. My husband got the fajita nachos. They were both delicious. The fruit punch margarita was so good. My husband asked for a regular margarita but he got the blue. It was ok, he liked it more than I did. We spent $65 bucks. I won’t be getting drinks again. For me $12 dollars is too much for that size of margarita. Way too much.

From the moment you walk in, it’s comfort on a plate. The staff is warm, welcoming, and real—like you’re visiting family (the ones who actually know how to cook). The food is always on point. So good, in fact, we had them cater our wedding. Whether it’s a quick lunch during the workday, a relaxed dinner date, or a celebration, El Coyote always delivers. It’s the kind of place that becomes your go-to without even trying.

I thoroughly enjoyed my shrimp chimichangas, which were filled with tender, seasoned shrimp, tomatoes, bell peppers, and onions, all wrapped in a crispy, golden-brown tortilla. Each bite was a delightful blend of flavors, complemented by a drizzle of cheese sauce and served with an avocado salad. It was a truly satisfying experience!

The hostess wasn't interested in seating us. It was off to a great start. She stared at us from across the room for what seemed like eternity before being seated. We ended up leaving before getting to order.

Usually get Pollo Loco which is amazing there. This time ordered Chicken Fajitas. Also good. Waitress forgot about me. Ran out of drink. Never got bill. I went to front to pay and manager(owner?) saw I didn't have bill and wouldn't let me pay. I tried. He insisted. Good gesture. Still giving 5 star because there service is typically very good.

El Coyote has been up and down with its quality over the years but lately they have been spot on with their food, especially my go to Grilled Chicken Nachos. I hope they can keep running as well as they are right now because they are the closest Mexican restaurant to my house and one of the few places to eat in Gurley. So keep up the good work El Coyote and I look forward to having some more Nachos here soon.

Taqueria Los Arrieros is a popular mexican restaurant that operates out of a food truck. It offers delicious tacos and other Mexican dishes to customers in the Madison area.
New location. This Taqueira Los Arrieros food truck was located off of Wall Triana in an empty lot. Looks like they setup new location. It’s right before Pine Grove and just a little bit after Wall Triana Animal Hospital. The food was excellent. I had their tacos and it was packed with meat and lots of flavor. I’ll be coming back for sure.

Best Mexican I’ve had in Huntsville. Everything is amazing about this place. The food is delicious, it’s fast and reasonably priced. If it was a sit down restaurant our family would eat here a lot!
Dan M — Google review
A solid option for tacos in an area of Madison with slightly less dense traffic -- not bad! This truck is a dark orange color and parks in a corner of a gas station, though I can't remember the specific brand of gas station as that didn't stand out to me much. I had sopes with chicken for lunch, while boyfriend opted for chicken tacos. I've heard that you can get two meats on your taco orders, but that wasn't offered to us and I'm too shy to ask, haha. So chicken it was. Food was out fairly quickly, despite there being two orders ahead of mine. I would say that it was good, but not remarkable. Bear in mind that I don't typically eat much Mexican food, though, so my tastes are far from expert. That being said, I don't see this food as being too different in taste, ingredients, or presentation than the food from the popular El Cazador trucks and restaurants that are more populous in the Huntsville area. Perhaps the sopes from this place went a little bit heavier on the toppings -- more lettuce, more beans, and a bit more chicken. I would also say that the salsas are a bit hotter here. Ultimately, however, I prefer El Cazador. I like the seasoning they use on the chicken a little bit more, but mostly I feel like the masa rounds from El Cazador have crispier edges and softer insides, which I personally prefer. Boyfriend said his tacos were good. This place is worth your consideration if you're in the area!

The food is very authentic and absolutely delicious! The ingredients were fresh and the asada meat was tender and juicy. The service is friendly and the food came out fast and hot. I will definitely be back for my Mexican food craving fix!

Los Jarochos Antojitos & Seafood is a vibrant eatery that offers a delightful fusion of Mexican street tacos and delectable seafood dishes. The well-seasoned shrimp and fish tacos are particularly noteworthy. The lively ambiance adds to the overall dining experience, making it a top choice for taco enthusiasts in Huntsville. Guests have praised the friendly service and highlighted the amazing flavors of dishes such as ceviche tostada and authentic Mexican soups.
Authentic and fresh. Be prepared to speak a little Spanish if you know it. Food has mild flavors with good texture throughout. Tortillas were good and at a good ratio to fillingThe combination of the red and the green sauce is a perfect topper for everything.

The soup was AMAZING, ceviche tostada was perfect, I'm literally floored with how good everything was. This is hands down the best Mexican restaurant in town and I'm so glad I got the chance to try it! Do yourself a favor and try this place as soon as possible, it's worth the visit!!

Bestest Mexican seafood dishes I have found in Huntsville! Spices and flavors were exceptional. I will be back. UPDATE... A good one! I see a lot of reviews where someone comes back and says that someplace they liked was now bad, or a bad place that they decided to try again was even worse. BUT, that is not the case here. This place is consistently good and getting better.

Very authentic Mexican restaurant. They spoke very little English, but the menu was easy to read and had plenty of choices, especially seafood. My 3 girlfriends and I were the only gringos in the restaurant the whole time on a Friday night. The staff was friendly and the food was great, down to the desserts. Definitely worth a visit if you are seeking traditional Mexican food.

"Interior" Mexican seafood AUTHENTIC from the state of Veracruz coast, not the Tex Mex or fake Taco Bell kind. Best for the adventurous type unless you have international exposure through travel or other authentic culture exchange ( not all inclusive type)..

A fantastic authentic Mexican seafood spot where you can also get great street tacos, tortas, milkshakes, margaritas, and more! I went to have lunch on a Tuesday afternoon with my sons, and we were all impressed! Unfortunately, I only snapped a pic of the tostadas de camerones before they were eaten. The music is NICE and at a festive volume for the win! It's a whole vibe for foodies and music lovers alike! A party for your tastebuds! The service was friendly, and if you don't speak much Spanish, please be patient! The menu is in both English and Spanish and you'll likely be the only Gringo/a in the place!

If you're a fan of authentic Mexican cuisine, then Mr. Naked Taco & Homemade Ice Cream is definitely worth checking out. They serve up some of the best peach ice cream in town, and it's perfect for sweetening up your day.
I love this place so much! A few years ago they were serving out of an old gas station. It was just a little hole in the wall with two tables. But i would drive there twice a week just for the street tacos. During covid they shut down and I was mortified. Now at this new location, they are just right down the street from me. My wife and I come here every date night and I still get the street tacos everytime. They're my all time favorite. The food is better than Rosie's cantina any day.
Kevin H — Google review
First time. Saturday afternoon. Ordered 'Street Taco' sampler and Birria Queza Tacos. Chips and salsa was terrific. Street Tacos most meats were average, some rather dry. Beef was greasy. Chorizo flavor was not appealing. Birria was hit, very tasty and tender, didn't need the dipping sauce but not gonna waste sauce. Sides - beans and the street corn. Both were very tasty. We really liked the corn. Service was slow and they never informed us they had a 'salsa bar'. Overall will try them again.
David G — Google review
Delicious!! I got the birria quesadillas and it was more than plenty!! The street corn was pretty good, it was a little salty but that might just be me, there was lots of seasoning (i wish there was more cheese!) The chips and salsa were very tasty. The young lady who served me was very kind! I really enjoyed my first visit and plan to return again soon and try the ice cream! I ate two of the quesadillas and was stuffed! It was a pretty good price only about $15. I have two leftover for dinner!! 10/10, five stars!
Aalivia A — Google review
The food was great but pretty expensive for what you get. The service was just alright. Five of us came in and we kept on having to ask for waters because she only brought out two at a time. They also gave us plastic flatware because all of their silverware was washing. None of that is really a big deal to me but worth mentioning. It looked like a pretty clean restaurant with a decent salsa bar consisting of 3 different salsas. I’ll definitely be back but probably not that often because I’d the cost.
Alexander W — Google review
Today was our first time trying here, we made the drive all the way from Madison and my wife insisted it was worth the drive. I rate it five stars, not compared to every restaurant ever, but compared to other Mexican restaurants it definitely is that level. They do have table service now. Good spicy marg, excellent Biria quesadilla. That dipping broth sauce it exceptional! Good salsa bar with some interesting options. Then the ice cream station connected is next level. Must have been at least 40 flavors. Definitely check this place out!
Wesley S — Google review
Update from September 2022: They went and got fancy on me! How do you know 'rona be dona? It's not Styrofoam, it's actual plates with presentation! Still good food and great flavors l, now taken up a notch. Went to the Taco side first as the Ice Cream side wasn't open yet. The food was very good and had a different taste than what was in Huntsville before. If I had to compare, it would be closer to San Diego/SoCal Mexican flavor. Definitely a great addition to the food scene. We went to the Homemade Ice Cream side and once again, great addition to the food scene. Many flavors to choose from to include fares that are definitely hard to come by this far from the border or a big city. If you want Eloté and other varieties of Mexican desserts, this is the place to go in Jones Valley/East Huntsvile. Open up your tastebuds and let the flavors in.

Mr. Naked Taco - Casual, order at the counter Mexican with a salsa bar and attached ice cream parlor. Huge menu, reasonable prices and tasty food. Tons to pick from on the menu. Chicken Guerra, chimichangas (shrimp, steak and beef) and street corn were really good. Several different salsas available on the bar along with fresh pick de gallo and whole jalapeños. Definitely worth a trip.

Frida’s Cantina & Grill is a new restaurant that has quickly gained a stellar reputation, drawing in five-star reviews. Located at 10871 County Line Rd, Madison, AL 35758 and open Monday through Saturday from 11AM to 9PM, this spot offers a delightful dining experience. Guests have raved about the prompt seating even during busy times and the complimentary chips and salsa served upon arrival. The homemade hot sauce comes highly recommended for those who enjoy an extra kick.
Have been eating here for a couple of years after trying a number of local competitors. We liked the food and service and always bring out of town guests. I am updating my rating after several less than five star experiences. Over the past year, the food quality has gone downhill. At first I chalked it up to a random event, but the food quality hasn't improved. The prices have also increased.

Wanted to give a shout out to a locally owned spot, Frida’s on County Line! Have been a few times and every time the food has been spot on! Prices are reasonable, food quality is fantastic, and service is great…
Eugene J — Google review
The service is mediocre and the atmosphere is somewhat forgettable and its also hot in there. Most importantly though, the food is incredibly mediocre and does not taste fresh. I order a Burrito Real because the Chicken & Rice is just that, only chicken and rice for 14.99; no salad, no beans. The burrito was soggy, the red sauce was cold, the rice was dry and salty. Quite frankly, the food came out incredibly quick (within 5 minutes) and the plate was incredibly heated; this leads me to believe that Chef Mike (microwave) is hard at work. Also, the Burrito Real is 13.49, the sweet tea which is 2.75 tasted of literally nothing. Honestly, had it not been for the fact that I was actually starving I would have just walked out. I ate my mediocre food in silence and then paid 20 for the my bill. Needless to say, I was pretty irate. The only thing I liked about this place was the music, nothing else.

First, definitely order the cheese dip to start. Meal: Amazing street tacos, especially carnitas and Barbacoa. Margaritas, just order the large, you will wish you did!!!! What a ruined experience, just received the offer. Meet in tacos is dry. Flauta dinner soaked in salad water. 2 lime slices for 8 tacos. 2 sauces for 8 tacos. Tacos piled up in box, mixed up. Had high hopes, but whoever fixed the order tonight didn't care to say the least, just ignorant of who will eat it or not in this case! $70+ and 2 orders also missing Burrito Fajitas and grilled chicken buritto. What a shame!

Wow!! We went here on a whim on a Friday night and the food/service was awesome. We were seated immediately despite being busy, and were served complimentary chips and salsa. The salsa is really good but I’d recommend you request their homemade hot sauce! (Warning: it is very spicy!) I ordered the vegetarian fajitas and my boyfriend ordered the shrimp chiles relleno, and they were both delicious. Giant portions (you can get several meals out of this) and fair pricing. We will be back!

First of all the customer service is top notch! I wanted Tacos really bad.. Something close to what I would make at home. Well Salsarita's popped up on Google search and stood out..I went there and the 1st person I met was Keisha. She was so nice and funny. We matched energy! Helped me out on how things flow there and made my food just like I wanted it! The Manager Danita was also there being an excellent manager. Making sure that I was helped along with Keisha. They tagged team. And I was like y'all have made my whole day! I will be coming back here! Josiah was also there making sure that things stayed clean and did the background work with diligence and a smile. I was so excited about my experience I wanted to bring my boyfriend so that he could see what a great experience that I had. But we were greeted by two other staff members. Darrelle and Isaiah! Once again wonderful customer service with smiles and help. My boyfriend enjoyed their positive customer service also. Mexican restaurant
Taco restaurant
Taqueria El Cazador is a popular Mexican eatery with multiple locations throughout the city. The restaurant offers fast food and friendly service, allowing customers to dine inside the cozy shop or outdoors in the stovehouse. While the food is considered average, it faces tough competition from other excellent Mexican restaurants and food trucks in the area. The birria ramen was an interesting concept but fell short in execution, while some felt that the al pastor tacos needed a heartier filling or more robust flavors.
So good! Steak ranchero is amazing! It's basically fajitas, the meat was perfect and they give you a lot of it. Everything has really good flavor and definitely get extra tortillas; you will want to eat the whole plate 😂🔥🔥🔥

This review is based on my DoorDash experience. The food was decent. However, the content of the tacos was thrown all over inside the container. I'm not sure if this is a restaurant or delivery issue. Perhaps package the food more secure to avoid this issue.

The food was good. My husband got a burrito, it was huge and very tasty. I got the quesabirria tacos. It was pretty good. There was a salsa bar with toppings and salsas of different kinds and chips. It was very delicious overall. However, the bathrooms had no soap and were somewhat dingy. Anyways, I would eat here again for sure.

Fast food, friendly service. Conveniently located so you can eat inside the little shop or out in the stovehouse with other people getting different foods. Food is average, but to be fair, there are a Lot of really good Mexican restaurants and food trucks in the area so the competition is stiff. Birria ramen was a fun idea but missed in execution. Al pastor tacos needed a heavier filling to tortilla ratio, or at least more robust flavors. Pickled vegetables are tasty and refreshing.

I tried the carne asada this trip and was not at all impressed. To be fair, this is a taqueria but the meat was not that well done and seasoned. The rice and beans were delicious. They also had bottled Mexican coke as well!
Alain B — Google review
The employees were friendly and more than willing to accommodate my request (cilantro and onions on the side). Birria was delicious.
Ashtin B — Google review
Super great authentic Mexican food, usually get food out within 5-10 minutes, and great prices. My favorite is the number 1 carne asada tacos (comes with 4 small tacos), they load it up with meat and it only costs $10! They also have a food truck next to the Exxon on old madison pike (8500) that gets your food out even quicker.
Braelyn — Google review
Great tacos in an amazing location, what more could you possibly ask for? Well they probably have it so just ask, and give them plenty of business so they are still here when I come back!

Mexican restaurant
Los Lagos Mexican Food is a restaurant in Huntsville that specializes in Mexican food. The location is off University Boulevard just west of Sparkman, and you'll find an orange truck near the Splash Car Wash. The hours are 8AM to 9PM every day.
Good, hearty, inexpensive food to go (or you can just chill there and eat, but it’s in a strip mall area so there’s nothing else to do). Get the giant steak burrito with everything; it’s as big as the truck itself and super tasty.
Akram M — Google review
This is a pretty standard authentic Mexican food truck. It's delicious and spicy food at a cheap price. There's a picnic table outside for dining. They sell all the usual favorites like tacos and burritos, but also a few extra items. They speak English and are friendly and helpful. Would certainly go again.
Keith J — Google review
Huge burrito for a good price. The steak was fantastic and the green sauce complements the burrito really well.
Heath S — Google review
Love them. Fresh and delicious food.

(Translated by Google) The food is good, I only didn't like the ground beans because they taste the same as the jarred ones, but everything else is very good (Original) Esta bien la comida ,solo los frijoles molidos no me gustaron xq saben igual que los de bote, pero todo lo demas muy bien
