The fish platter was out of this world!!! We were fortunate to have tuna so fresh that is was in the sea 1 hour before it was served to us. We have had many fish options during our stay in Croatia and Konoba Fetivi was definitely the best! It was simply prepared and perfectly cooked! Absolutely delicious!! The service was excellent as well. I highly recommend!!

Lovely restaurant. We were feeling wary after having had a not so great experience at another nearby restaurant but this turned out to be our favourite restaurant experience of our entire trip. We were sat in a covered outdoor area that was nicely shaded and comfortable with a lot of fun decorations on the walls and even a nice little vintage sewing machine on a nearby table (which, as a hobby sewer, I was delighted to see). Our waiter was friendly and attentive and brought out a tray full of the fresh fish they had available that day. We were able to try out scorpion fish which was expertly prepared (and tasted amazing!) and which we opted to eat with a side of grilled vegetables. We also had a warm appetizer of octopus and chickpeas beforehand that came in a sauce so tasty we used almost all of our bread to sop it up. At the waiter's suggestion we finished our meal with their traditional layered cake (containing figs and walnuts) which was moist and flavorful. Overall a wonderful experience. Highly recommend!

Our dinner was started with a warm welcome. Easy-to-read menu with all prices well listed. The next thing were were presented was the fresh fish platter that allowed you to choose the fish you want, there were turbot, grouper, red snapper, sea bass, sea bream, monkfish, cuttlefish, etc. They would have other sizes available just make sure you ask. We ordered a red snapper, size for two persons and it was perfectly grilled in whole. All we added was some olive oil and salt & pepper. We also tried their black risotto and it tasted like heaven!

One of the best experiences we've had in Croatia. Everything was fantastic, fresh, and perfectly cooked. We ordered a number of different dishes instead of the main grilled fish (since we've done that at other places and wanted to try more stuff) and ended up with a spectacular meal. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Really fresh and well grilled seafood! We saw great reviews of the prawns cream soup and it did not disappoint. We also chose grilled flounder and octopus, which were both really good too. This restaurant is really cosy and pretty on the inside, and service is prompt and friendly. Would recommend! Make a reservation if you can as we saw quite a few people being turned away!

The black risotto is hands down the winner of the day! Rich and creamy and the octopus so very tender. It's a must-have when you dine at Fetivi. The grilled octopus was the most tender and savory we had in Split compared to two other restaurants we visited in Split. And the chef's selection of grilled fish was a very generous portion for two. We highly recommend Konoba Fetivi for anyone wanting the best locally cooked seafood in Split!

The cured seafood selection and octopus stew were amazing! My son ordered the grilled chicken and really liked it too. The staff were great and super friendly.

We had a team dinner here with a group of 30 people—seated at three long tables, and we were very well looked after throughout the evening. It‘s a fantastic restaurant: the outdoor seating is charming, the view is absolutely amazing, and the whole atmosphere felt just right. The menu offered a great variety—everything we tried was flavorful, beautifully presented, and clearly made with care. The fish was absolutely amazing. The service deserves high praise, too. The staff were attentive, friendly, and very efficient — they managed our large group seamlessly.

This is a beautiful location full of beautiful, well dressed people enjoying the night out with delicious Croatian cuisine. I enjoyed a mezcal negroni and my husband got a mojito. Both great cocktails. We enjoyed the lamb chops and salad. Our friends got gazpacho and some traditions beef stew. Everything was fantastic! 😋

Beautiful and peaceful setting on the coast. Michelin rated (2025). Tranquility combined with exceptional culinary experience. We tried the fish soup and the tuna cannelloni filled with foie gras. For the main course we took oven baked fish with vegetables in white wine sauce. Deserts: mango cream with ice cream a nd coconut crumbles. Exceptional service too

On 13.09.2025 When we arrived at the Dvor Restaurant, we were delighted by the ambiance. We were greeted by the friendly and cultural restaurant staff. We had a beautifully decorated table. We ordered an 8-course dinner recommended by the host and champagne recommended by the sommelier. As the meals arrived, the flavors were fantastic and unforgettable with top-quality wine. At the end, a 3-course dessert. We had an unforgettable time and it will remain in our memories forever. We will definitely come again.

Nice refined restaurant. My partner ordered lamb chops and he really enjoyed it. There were not a lot of vegetarian options, there were some side dishes and they also offer pasta and risotto with tomato sauce and vegetables. I ordered the risotto, it was nice but it didn't have a wow factor. Nevertheless, I ordered the lotus dessert and it was AMAZING, that was the experience I was looking for, a great combination of textures and flavors. I highly recommend it :)

We ordered the tuna and liver roll, tuna steak and crab pasta. Tuna is fresh and juicy. Crab pasta also decent. But in general not the best restaurant I visited in Split.

We visited Brasserie on 7 everyday during our recent holiday in Split as it was nearby our hotel. The breakfast menu had a good variety of options available and I tried to have something different everyday. The staff were very friendly, helpful and attentive. The restaurant is in a lovely location overlooking the water. The food was all great and the portions are very generous.

Massive fan of this place despite the 2 year old review. The staff here were extremely friendly, and the food was excellent. Particularly the meats and cheese board: I found the meats here less salty than their Italian equivalents. The cheeses were excellent, especially the sheep cheese that paired perfectly with the fig jam.

I expected a tourist trap, but it totally wasn't. Great steak, great service (thank you Anita), great location/view and reasonable prices given the area. We went there twice and the quality was consistent on both occasions!

Brasserie on 7 is a beautiful spot right on the Riva, perfect for enjoying the sea view while having lunch. We ordered the Caesar salad and the lamb — both were good. The salad was fresh, but maybe lacks some ingredients, and the lamb was well cooked and very tender. The service was friendly and attentive, and the overall atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable. Prices are a bit higher than some other places in Split.

Delicious and simple breakfast! The eggs Benedict was amazing. Service was somewhat poor, I had to wait 15 minutes to get my check and the server rarely checked in. Lovely atmosphere though!

We were really disappointed with parts of the meal: • The beef tartare was poor in both taste and presentation – definitely not worth €32. • The Caesar salad lacked flavor. • The chicken add-on (extra €6) had a strange taste. • The Caesar dressing was watery and bland. However, after we politely shared our feedback, the staff removed only the items we didn’t enjoy from the bill – which we found to be very fair and professional. Service throughout was extremely friendly and attentive. While the food didn’t fully meet our expectations, the way our concerns were handled earns them 4 stars.

We had a very disappointing experience here and definitely will not return. For starters, we ordered the soup and the codfish spring roll. The spring roll was the only decent thing we had crispy, flavorful, and well done. Unfortunately, the soup was a complete letdown. It was bland and absolutely no richness or depth you’d expect from a restaurant charging these prices. For mains, I had the squid ink risotto and my husband had the Angus beef. After our starters, we were left waiting almost 20 minutes for the mains. The risotto was dull, lacking any balance or seasoning, and had an unpleasant aftertaste. The Angus beef was chewy and poorly cooked, paired with mashed potatoes that were supposed to be elevated with truffle oil. As a country that actually produces truffles, this version was shockingly below standard flat, oily, and with none of the fragrant quality you’d expect. Service made the experience even worse. We were given a completely different menu from another table, which left us questioning whether there was some form of bias or discrimination happening. And when we asked for the bill, a female server simply pointed her finger at my original (male) server, refusing to assist and continuing her personal chat instead. Completely unprofessional, dismissive, and unacceptable for a place that positions itself as “above average.” Overall: long waiting times, overpriced dishes, inconsistent menus, poor service, and food that is far below the mark in flavor and execution. One good spring roll can’t save an otherwise awful dining experience.

Bokeria in Split is a beautiful restaurant with a stylish and inviting atmosphere that immediately makes you feel like you’re in a special place. The presentation of the dishes is excellent — everything looks amazing and carefully prepared. However, while some plates taste just as good as they look, others don’t quite deliver the same “wow” factor once you try them. Prices are on the higher side compared to other spots in Split, so it’s definitely more of a treat-yourself place. Overall, Bokeria is worth visiting for the ambiance and experience, but not every dish lives up to its presentation.

Truwel and prosciutto pasta was delicious, Caesar salad needed more sauce. Soup was ok, byt nothing special; soparnik is really good here, recommend it. Amazing wine (local chardonney). Service is very good and attentive.

Sat upstairs by a window. This place was really good. Everything was executed perfectly. The sea bass with the cauliflower puree was a great combo. Dont skip soparnik either for the appetizer!! Would 1000% return. Great location in the old center of Split

Had a great sea bass meal here this evening - very reasonably priced. Wait staff was incredibly friendly and a great vibe atmosphere. Without doubt, if you are into Croatian wine, this is THE PLACE in Split to visit. They have over 160 Croatian wines to choose from, ~30 of which you can buy by the glass. I had a Grk, Pošip sur lie, and a dessert wine all from Croatia - the first two with my sea bass. All were excellent!

If I could give Bokeria six stars, I would. This place doesn’t just serve food - it performs it. Set inside a refurbished 19th-century hardware store, the ambience hits the sweet spot between Mediterranean elegance and modern soul: high ceilings, warm wood, slow jazz, and the low hum of a packed dining room that feels alive with conversation and clinking glasses. Now, the black risotto - the best I’ve ever had, anywhere in the world. The cuttlefish itself - tender but with structure, brined in its own ink, releasing that deep, oceanic sweetness that hits you like a memory you didn’t know you had. Pair it with a Medica, Croatia’s honey rakija - it’s smooth, golden, and just sweet enough to round the salt of the sea from the risotto. This restaurant charmed us completely! The historic setting with its gorgeous interior made dinner feel special. Food was delicious - modern takes on Dalmatian classics with perfect execution. Their wine list impressed us with excellent local options we wouldn't find elsewhere.

This place is like ART. My little dessert eggs were just delightful. The food was great. Just don't get overambitious and over order. Freestyle means it's not made to any set traditional recipe, suits me fine - better than eating various iterations of the same thing, you finish all the traditional recipes in a short time in Croatia. Special mention to the wonderful politeness and respect given by the wait staff. Above the already high Croatian bar.

My boyfriend and I went here yesterday for dinner and were so amazed by the food! We passed by and thought it looked very cosy so decided to try. The food was so so good and without a doubt the best we’ve had during our whole vacation (which was 13 days). Our waitress was incredibly friendly and easy to talk to. We loved every minute of it and would recommend it!!! Oh and I really loved my strawberry lemonade!!

Mala is incredible and made our dinner absolutely phenomenal! Each dish ordered was fantastic, we even requested to meet the chef and he was just so humble and kind. This was by far the best dinner we’ve had in all of Croatia, and we’ve been here for 7 days and went sailing to multiple islands and this was our BEST meal! Definitely recommend!

I don't know how to explain this place... don't hesitate and just go there. I had a sensational experience. Especially the "smoke on the water" and " ballad of the salted sea" were next level. I came there second time even more. People working there were super nice as well, highlight of my dinner experience in Splir.

Excellent oil-themed restaurant. The quality of the food was superb. We tried the octopus salad, white fish and the amazing seafood pasta. The ice cream with a touch of oil was amazing. The woman was very clisé and professional. They also offer wine-tasting.

We cannot rave enough about our wine tasting experience at Uje!!!! Marina’s knowledge, professionalism, and kindness did not go unnoticed. I’m gluten free, so she immediately ordered gluten free bread for myself so I could be included in the tasting. My friend is also vegetarian. Marina went out of her way to bring her tomatoes instead of prosciutto so she could taste certain notes in the red wine. We left feeling like Marina was our own Mama taking care of us!!! HIGHLY recommend as a must!!!!

We had the most amazing experience last night at Uje. Matëa was our server! She was so lovely and kind and made wonderful recommendations. 10/10!! We also purchased olive oil and salt from the store next door because it was just that good!!

We enter the Uje Oil Bar today and we're treated horribly. My wife & I were deeply humiliated. We sat down at a table for two. There were a couple of empty tables that could fit 4 people. We said hi to the people seated near us and we were greeted with smiles. We waited approximately 10-15 minutes and a waiter/host came to our table who advised us we are not to sit there & we were instructed to leave. His tone & abusive actions were rude & mean. We were glad to depart this highly prejudice establishment. So sad that such a place exists in Split, Croatia. A hudge DISAPPOINTMENT. We do NOT recommend.

**Best Breakfast In Croatia** After travelling from Zagreb, Zadar, Dubrovnik and Split Kat's kitchen was the best place we have been. The food taste and quality was so fresh and every ingredient carefully considered and balanced well. Had the avo on rye bread and was divine and looking forward to my takeaway cake. It's been very difficult to find a good vegan place in this country and this stop was so much needed. Thank you so much, please keep going. Service was brilliant, kindly walked us to our seats, baby friendly and the atmosphere and vibe was so refreshing. If we could come back we absolutely would. ❤️

Really original and healthy meals with a lot of vegetarian and vegan options. Plus the coffee is great and staff is really friendly and helpful. We had the Acai Smoothie Bowl and the Fruit Explosion French Croissant - so good!

Absolutely the best place for breakfast/brunch in Split! Traveling in Europe we found it challenging to find a real protein packed breakfast (not just pastries and coffee) and were thrilled when we landed at Kat’s. The Eggs Hollandaise was delicious- just look at the presentation! The biggest surprise was the whole grain spelt vegan baked donut! I can’t describe how amazing these are. They use fresh organic ingredients and have lots of vegan options. I wish this was in my hometown!

Outstanding brunch - a real hidden gem. Bright and appetising plates...our sweet and savoury food choices looked amazing but tasted fabulous as well. This is a small cafe with sparkling staff and a relaxed atmosphere. Like lots of other places in Croatia, cash is preferred but cards also accepted.

Absolutely delicious salads and homemade lemonade from this hidden eatery. Don't wait until you're just passing - make the effort to get here. Trust me, it will be worth it. I mean, just take a look at this salad? It looks fantastic and tasted even better.

Unfortunately, I can't understand all the (very) good reviews. They were the reason I went there. I had eggs hollandaise on a French croissant. The croissant was anything but "French" because it was completely soggy. I searched in vain for the "homemade aioli"; it also lacked seasoning. All the decorations looked nice, but that was it. The taste was okayish, but with all the good reviews, I had hoped for more. The orange juice was definitely not freshly squeezed. The staff were nice and attentive. However, for me, there would be no reason to come back.

The place is very nice, quiet, comfortable. But we were disappointed with the food. We ordered risotto with prawns, pasta and pork steaks. Meat was delicious,but the portion for 29€ is really small, there was no side dishes. Risotto was salty and full of sauce. But the dessert was delicious. We visited the restaurant several years ago and were happy and very satisfied with the food, sizes and prices. This time really big disappointment.

Mazzgoon is a charming restaurant offering both indoor and outdoor patio seating. This is a family run modern European food restaurant. We dined here in the evening on the patio. The weather was perfect. We were enveloped by the dim lighting and the history of the castle walls, a truly magical vibe. We truly enjoyed our dishes. Beautifully presented. The only disappointment was that the mussels were almost too salty to eat. Our waiter kindly explained they don't add salt as they come from the already very salty sea. This made sense. We ate them anyway, with a lot of additional beverages lol

Amazing restaurant to have dinner in Split. It has a rear terrace outside , quiet and aside from the busy street in the center of Split. The food was very tasteful, good quantity and good price for the dishes. The waitress were very nice and giving a great service. I fully recommend to have dinner in this beautiful place in the heart of split !

Stop walking around tourist restaurants and get a meal here! We tried many of the top places in Split (and Croatia) and nothing beats this place. The service is so gentle and warm. The head chef Ante is a genius. At age 23 he runs an incredible menu. Peter our waiter was amazing with food recommendations and service as very quick. We recommend the local cheese platter and the mussels fettuccine pasta. A big bonus is their quaint outdoor seating for the best private dining experience. Will be back on our next trip to Split. P.s video was taking after closing time.

This was recommended by a local, and I have to agree with all the previous comments. The service isn't great and the staff tend to be a bit rude, but if you have patience and wait, you'll get some help and a delicious meal. We waited about an hour on a Friday night (and were first told it was impossible to get a table), and we weren't disappointed. Ask for local dishes and eat what they recommend! The creamy fettuccine pasta was our fave.

Great spot, had it recommended on a tour. You MUST book a reservation to get in or get lucky. The zuchinni, shimp gnocci was absolutely amazing and highly recommended. We just ordered a few dishes and Split (pun intended) and with all things here the portions are great sizes. Nice atmosphere and good service, don't forget to tip, they will remind you at the end. Hidden gem in Split! The food is down-to-earth delicious. We tried the pašticada — the meat was incredibly tender, and the gnocchi had that perfect QQ bite, almost like boba in milk tea. We also had grilled monkfish (grdobina pršutom i prilog). The texture of the monkfish was so unique and tasty, it really brightened up our meal. Definitely worth a visit! As for the service — if you’re expecting fine dining, this might not be for you. The staff are quick, focused, and just get the job done. Personally, I think that’s another type of charm of this place.

The restaurant has a rustic vibe and serves authentic food! I absolutely loved the Pašticada with gnocchi, which I believe is one of their signature dishes. It was an amazing experience! They also offer the best house red wine from a fishing island called Vis. The wine has a deep, gorgeous red color and a full body, with no bitterness or dryness in the aftertaste. We were even treated to two complimentary 2 shots of liquid/alcohol, though I'm not sure what it was. It tasted great! I highly recommend making a reservation, as they tend to book up quickly!

2 visits now to this local konoba. Great food, atmosphere, reasonable prices. Mix of locals and tourists. The pašticada, the black rice and especially the monkfish were all excellent! Well worth a visit!

Lovely meal, great atmosphere to the place and only just outside old town. Had the ham and cheese plate for starters, they brought out bread for the meal. Risotto and Pasticada as our mains - both lovely and rich, the seafood in the risotto cooked perfectly and the Pasticada being slow cook beef in a casserole-type sauce. All delicious.

This place is legit. The food is so good. Far better food and better priced compared with tourist traps in the middle of old town. Yes the staff may appear a little gruff at first, but they are professional and will be more than happy to give you their recommendations if you ask.

We found this to be a perfect lunch spot in Spit, just outside the historical centre. The service is quick since all the plates are quite simple, but the flavours are very nice. We had the fried hake and the quinoa salad, both tasteful. For dessert we recommend the pavlova, it was very soft and the fruit on top was good. Nice price for the offer (around 15€ each with dessert).

Great local cafe with breakfast, lunch and dinner offerings. Lots of great seasonal food, I’ve had sandwiches, stews, chicken salads and great fried chicken here. Also their quiche is very good too. It gets very busy in here at lunch times and breakfast as a lot of people go there for their lunch break. Lots of space to sit outside in the summer too. Menus can be in English, you just have to ask. Can pay by cash or card.

Not only good and healthy food but also super nice design 😍 we took the bulgur salad and the breaded chicken. The service is fast and the cost is also quite cheap. Strongly recommended!

The best cafe and bistro in Split! It is close to the center, yet not too crowded, cozy place with a lovely interieur design. Nice prices, vegan options, and quality coffees. Perfect place to meet with a friend for a coffee, have a lovely lunch or just work on your laptop a bit. Super lovely staff, quality service. Absolutely loved it!

Highly recommended by a colleague. We came between breakfast/lunch hour so we waited very long time for our food. Soup was nice but for me a bit too spicy due to chilli. Portions very good size.

While the bread is incredible and the sandwiches are LARGE, I do wish it had a few more fillings. I got the caprese which was great, but I would have liked it more with more basil, fresh salt and pepper, and some balsamic glaze. I also got the vegano which felt a bit lacking. I recommend for a quick and easy lunch sandwich to go. There is no seating.

No seating was the reason for the star docked. The sandwiches are huge so we asked for them to be cut. Great selections including veggie! Would recommend changing your cheese out for stracciatella!

Can’t wait to be back to this place! The focaccia was delicious, the ingredients are %100 fresh and made in moment. Lovely summer experience! (with just one focaccia sandwich two people can eat, so it’s really great)

10/10 recommend, I can say this because I ate here 3 nights in a row. Every day I craved one of their focaccia’s. The bread always tasted fresh and crunchy, using fresh basil and tomatoes. The staff always super friendly and speak some English too which goes a long way. Great prices for both food & drinks, this is a must try for lunch or dinner in Split. Sizes are generous which means you’ll likely be in a pleasant food coma after it!

It was awful and sad. It was sad because they put really good ingredients in a hard, stale, cold focaccia that you couldn't bite into at first and then couldn't chew. I understand that it was evening, but either give a discount for the evening so that people understand that they are paying less because the quality is not the same, or just don't sell it. After taking a couple of bites, we stopped eating and thought about reheating it at home, but it didn't get any better, so I took out the salami and gave it to the cat to eat, and everything else went in the bin. *And the focaccia was overcooked, so it was incredibly hard in every sense.

Great Italian food experience in Croatia, highly recommended! We ordered several different dishes and all of them were delicious. The prices were really good considering the portion sizes.

A great discovery! We tried this place and it’s definitely approved! I had the Focaccia Classico at 8.50€, delicious but I couldn’t finish it. The staff is very friendly and they prepare the focaccia right in front of you. Vegetarian options are available too.

I had the steak fillet here and honestly, it was the best I’ve ever tried – perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. The wine selection is amazing and pairs beautifully with the food. The atmosphere is just perfect – elegant yet relaxed, making it an absolutely must-visit spot in Split. A special thanks to Blazhe for the outstanding service – attentive, friendly, and truly made the experience memorable. Highly recommend Chops Grill for anyone looking for top-class steak, seafood. and a great dining experience!

Beautiful meal and last night at Split. The best steak and ribs dinner in awhile in Croatia! We had the Black Angus Rib eye and pork ribs with truffled potatoes and vegetables (capsicum, zucchini and mushrooms) on the side, and a bottle of the Italian Solco Toscana Syrah (Awarded best Italian red), went very well with the meal, easy to drink and smooth. Highly recommend this establishment. We enjoyed the atmosphere, with the soft live accoustic. Thank you to Ante, our wait staff for recommending the wine and for the service. Ante was quite, knowledgeable and super kind and friendly. A truly memorable evening for our last night in Split. Sad to be leaving.

The service is extremely friendly, and the food is incredibly delicious – you can easily say this is the best steak in town. The prices may not be the lowest, but the taste and quality are at the highest possible level. We recommend it to everyone, and we will definitely come back when we’re in Split again.

Just brilliant! You should try mixed grill plate for two. Everything so tender, great side dishes and the Service and atmosphere is outstanding as well. Big compliment to our waiter Ivan R.! Of course it’s a bit more expressive than other restaurants, but definitely worth it. In other restaurants you pay 30€ for a steak that doesn’t taste well, so better pay 5-10€ more for an amazing one! We‘ll definitely come back :)

A nice steakhouse in central Split. We ordered the chops grill for two (€68), which included chicken, sirloin steak, and veal. However, the price covers only the meat (sauces and sides must be ordered separately). At that price point, I feel at least fries or another side should be included, as paying extra makes it feel a bit expensive for just the meat. Also, I think I had the most expensive bottle of water of my life at Chops (9€ for a bottle of still water!). I rated the service 4 stars because when the platter arrived, no one explained which cut was which, so we had to figure it out ourselves. In my experience dining at steakhouses across Europe, introducing the cuts is standard practice. The meat was good, really juicy and very well cooked. The sauces (we ordered the bernaise and the truffle sauces) were very tasty too. My partner loved the onion rings, they were super crispy!

One of the best places to have dinner in split. The location is perfect, as well as the atmosphere, the staff is polite, but the most important thing is the food which is beyond tasty, especially Steak Wellington.

What a great venue. Such tentative staff and great food. Great relaxed vibe. Expect to pay a little more for the quality of food and service. We took the kids and they didn’t treat us any different. Amazing meats cooked to perfection. Can’t recommend this enough. We booked to ensure a table but they didn’t seem overly busy the whole night.

I visited this wonderful restaurant twice on my first day in Split, as the menu and my first experience during brunch were very satisfying. Located right in the Center of the old town the atmosphere especially during the evening is what you would expect from an old City Center with lots of beautiful architecture and restaurants and cafes. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, while the food tasted very very good. For brunch I had the avocado and salmon with scrambled eggs with nicely toasted bread and afterwards the banana bread with caramel cream. Both was served quite quickly, which served me well as I had been to the gym right before. For dinner I tried their baked Camembert with caramelised onions a followed by their ravioli filled with ricotta and prawns on a nicely made sage sauce. None disappointed and I highly recommend.

A really nice place with interesting options, great flavors, and beautifully presented dishes. We ordered the Caesar salad, a breakfast burger, and the avocado & salmon sandwich – everything was delicious. The Caesar salad especially surprised us with its size – huge and very tasty. The homemade lemonades were great too – I highly recommend the strawberry one, as the others didn’t compare. On top of that, the service was very friendly. Highly recommended!

We stopped by Bepa for dinner and had a great experience! To start we had the tuna tartare, which had excellent flavors. For our mains, we had the prawn ravioli and the makaruni & beef. Our drinks were great too!

10 stars! Taste, portion, atmosphere, this is the full package. Eggs Benedict had graduated to this full flavor dish and the banana bread is also a highlight- soft, delicious and savory. Loved the strawberry lemonade too. Excellent service, thank you 😘💓🤩

We stopped in for a light lunch and we’re not disappointed! Quick service, large portions and fresh healthy food! Worth every penny, wifi is also really fast here. I had the Buddha bowl and it was totally delicious

Really great place for a breakfast open face sandwich. The flavours meld nicely. The atmosphere is cute! You need to mention to them not to use so much Mayonnaise. It's like a half a cup and it's unnecessary. They can Over easy the egg If you request it.

Menu is not big, but enough to choose from. Ordered the steak Tuna and a burger and both were really tasteful. It has a nice view over the square, people are friendly, its a good spot to eat, drink and hang out for a while.

This is the most WONDERFUL restaurant in Split! It was so good that my husband and I came twice for dinner (in our three night stay). Everything was prepared to perfection. You must get one of the tarte flambe (the goat cheese and fig was awesome) and the burrata and grilled peach salad (DELICIOUS), and EVERYTHING we had was incredible. The service is amazing -- so attentive and generous! We loved the staff. And we also enjoyed meeting some of our friendly fellow diners. Overall, I can't recommend this place more highly. It made our time in Split excellent!!!

What an excellent experience! The restaurant itself has a whimsical and de delightful ambience. There’s indoor and outdoor seating The service was excellent. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, passionate about the food, and friendly. I had a glass of the red cuvée Which I loved. My husband and I shared the chefs platter that focused on a selection of different charcuterie, cooked meats, vegetables, and olives It was a wonderful tour of Dalmatian inspired foods. Every piece of meat was cooked perfection as with the vegetables For dessert, we had the lemon tiramisu and The plum crumble. They were a beautiful balance of sweet and acidic. We highly recommend you come here for a unique and delicious experience

Our dinner at Ćiri Biri Bela was absolutely outstanding from start to finish. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. We ordered the whipped spicy feta dip, hot honey halloumi, lamb chops, chicken kabob, scallops with garlic butter, and grilled vegetable kabob, and everything was incredible. The restaurant has a cozy, welcoming vibe, and the staff made us feel right at home. It’s clear they put care into every detail, from the presentation to the locally sourced ingredients. Easily one of the best meals we’ve had in Split and highly recommend it to anyone visiting.

I went to this place based on some positive review, i didnt read unfortunatelly the negative before. My first day in Split. The food was good, nice looking. The prices are just to high compare to other places in Split (now I see). The quality of the fruit was poor. Some raisins were dry, melon no taste. So yes nice, but overpriced. Staying 7 days in Split but want go back because I found better place with much reasonable prices.

Beautiful spot in Split’s old town—Ćiri Biri Bela impressed us with its great food, warm ambiance, attentive service and fair prices. We enjoyed every dish, the terrace setting was charming and the staff friendly and helpful. Highly recommended for a relaxed and delicious meal while exploring Split.

We had a room on the other side of the street and had breakfast here a few times when there was no queue. You usually have to wait for a table, but it's worth it. The breakfast is awesome, the service perfect. We alleays felt welcome and had a great time. The prices are reasonable for the quality of the products offered. Fresh & yummy.

Came here for breakfast as it was recommended by the host of the place I was staying at. And it DID NOT DISAPPOINT! I ordered the Mushroom Croque and it came nicely done with LOTS of mushrooms, caramelized onions, pickled cucumbers and nicely topped with cheesy that pulls and stretches - promising a yummy bite! I overheard the next table saying it looks good (PS: They were right!) See photo (was too good to resist a first bite! Only realised belatedly that I should take a photo to remind myself of this delicious dish!) 100% recommend this place.

We had a lovely breakfast here on our last morning in Split. Beautiful area to sit outside. Breakfast was very reasonably priced and consisted of eggs, toast, bread, ham, cheese, jam and choice of coffee or juice. We really enjoyed it. Service was fast as there’s just this one breakfast offering.

Try the cuttlefish and broad beans! Never had that combination before and it was phenomenal. I didn’t want to stop eating. The polenta was super crispy and perfect. The octopus salad is also delicious and fresh. The house wine is good and you can get a half litre in a cute narrow bottle. I was slightly reluctant because other restaurants in the area seem to be more popular but the menu convinced me and the outdoor seating in the square is lovely for people watching. The only bad reviews seem to be from Americans… the staff are friendly and great they aren’t your servants;)

I randomly fell onto this place on a walk home and my gosh. Probably one of the best pasta dishes I’ve ever had. It was the pasta seafood vongole and was under the apps part of menu. Homemade, fresh, baby clams and shrimp in a white sauce.. was just incredible. I also had the octopus carpaccio and that was a first for me and it was also excellent.

Great find! Ambience was amazing. The gentleman were very warm and welcoming and offered amazing food and wine suggestions.... couldn't fault the food and service. A must visit on your next trip.

Dining at this restaurant was a highlight of our trip. We were so well looked after by our waiter (I did not get his name, wish I had). I had a great gin and tonic made with the "Old Pilots" gin, highly recommend! For starter I had the shrimp soup which was delicious and then for main our whole party had the Pasticada with Gnocchi and was enjoyed by all. The meat was so soft and tender, the sauce was rich and comforting with a slight tang from maybe vinegar and something slightly floral through it and the gnocchi was perfect, best I've had. Tremendous meal and highly recommend if you are visiting Split!

Very good place for our lunch. We had some deep fried fish with chards and the sword fish salad. Light and tasty. To top it off we followed the recommendation of a very kind waiter for dessert and got an amazing caroube cake. Amazing!! The location is quite central and close to important places. Definitely recommend a stop in this place!

Had dinner here this evening and had a fantastic time! The food was delicious and great value. My friend had the aubergine risotto which she said was delicious and I had the slow beef risotto and as the waitress described it's a "party in your mouth". The staff were amazing! They were super allergen conscious. My friend has a severe nut allergy and they couldn't be more understanding and helpful. They were also very informative about the wine and dishes. The atmosphere on the roof top is exquisite with old movies showing on a projector. I'm so glad we came across this restaurant ❤️

My wife and I went here the other night for supper. I definitely recommend making a reservation to eat up on the roof - amazing atmosphere. After being seated, we were quickly met by our waitress and she took our drink and food order. I will say that being on the roof after sunset is a perfect meal. They project old movies on a building next to the restaurant - very unique. Our G&Ts tasted great with a local tonic. Our meals were fairly quick to come out and tasted great, and the waitress was very nice and helpful with menu explanations. I would like to point out another interesting thing on their menu - you can buy meals for the needy by adding them to your bill. The money is collected and at certain times of the year (Christmas, etc), food is delevered/provided to needy families. I think this is an amazing idea, as you enjoy your delicious food, you know that you can also give back to those less fortunate in the community. Thanks.

We had the slow cooked beef rib and the duck. The food was tasty and price was reasonable for the quality. Duck dish could have been a tiny bit hotter but nice experience overall. The rooftop setting was a great atmosphere. Enjoyed our meal out.

Beautiful roof terrace just past the end of the boulevard. Good option if you're looking for a bit more elegance to your dinner, beyond what a regular Croatian konoba can offer. Dishes on the menu sound creative and exciting and are sourced locally (so is the wine list). We had the bruschetta with sheep cheese and aged ham (pršut), followed by an excellent artichoke risotto and seafood orecchiette. The risotto was our favorite; very fresh, perfectly al dente, and a good balance between olive oil and zesty lemon. The seafood pasta was tasty and contained a nice amount of courgette to balance the saltiness. Very high quality food, living up to the expectations set by the relatively high menu prices. Portions were a bit small though, so I would recommend ordering an additonal main course to share. We had just one glass of white wine, which failed to impress. However, the salted honey whiskey sour I liked a lot. Staff is friendly and more than happy to provide recommendations. The inside of the restaurant looks modern but still cozy, but the roof terrace was even better, with a 1950's black and white movie projected on another building to complement the ambiance.

We didn’t have the chance to sit upstairs as it was already full, but we were seated on the ground floor right away. The food came almost immediately, which was a pleasant surprise, and everything was delicious. The staff were very kind and took the time to explain how our dishes were prepared, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The only disappointment was the Pavlova dessert. It wasn’t quite what we expected , traditionally it should come with fresh fruits, especially when they are in season. While it wasn’t bad, we wouldn’t recommend it compared to the rest of the menu.

Stopped in here for lunch. I got an appetizer of focaccia with cheese and prosciutto, and a Jerusalem artichoke/artichoke risotto. Both very good, but the risotto would have been filling enough on its own! I couldn’t finish. Also ordered an Aperol spritz. It was fairly quiet while I was there as I came right when it opened.

DELICIOUS food and absolutely amazing environment! The food and drinks were incredible and the service was excellent. There was even a black and white movie played on the side of the building during dinner! A bit more expensive, but very worth it!

We did the chef's choice 3 course menu with wine pairing at Sug, and it was very good. The wine pairing was fabulous, and the service attentive. However, the portions were enormous (and I can eat a lot!). It's was more like two mains than a main and a starter. If I returned, I would just do the normal menu. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Perfection at a reasonable price. For antipasti, we had a white fish carpaccio wrapped around sweet rice which was delicious. Then we had squid ink risotto and creamy prawn pasta, both of which were divine. Good wine and attentive service as well. Some reviews say that this is a very fancy fine-dining place, but don’t let it put you off - the vibe is definitely nice but it’s also not very formal. You will feel at home as all the waiters are very friendly.

Everything was exceptional. We did the tasting menu with two oysters added. It was more than worth it. We were blown away with the food and services. 10/10 I can’t pick our favorite dish because they were all phenomenal. A must try

Food is good. The sword fish is the best - very fresh and flavourful. Octopus is fresh. Shrimp pasta isn’t as impressive as what others mentioned. Smoked risotto is average. However, the service is really bad. The waiters are very inattentive and chatting among themselves. We needed to keep waiting for the menu and water at the beginning and when we wanted to order, even when we sat at the middle of the restaurant just facing them.

Went to this place with my wife, as a recommendation from a local, and it was the best decision! We had the duck and the octopus, both were extremely delicious! Shrimp pasta as appetizer was really generous and incredible tasty. Wines are good as well. Don't hesitate about asking for the tiramisu as dessert!

The venison stew was great with tender meat and soft gnocchi, but the grilled octopus dish was a bit mismatched. The octopus itself was very good, but it was served with raw tomatoes, pickled onions, baked/fried potatoes, and a gravy none of which really complemented each other well. Service was great and the space was nice.

We had a table reserved for 8:00 PM, but we arrived an hour and a half earlier — luckily, that wasn’t a problem at all, as the staff kindly found us a spot right away. We happened to come during the restaurant’s Steak Weekend, which offered a special selection of steaks. The food was excellent — perfectly cooked, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The service was fast and attentive, and the overall atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. We really enjoyed our evening here and would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for great food and friendly service.

We've been visiting the top 50 cocktail bars in the world. This place isn't on the list but should be. Genuinely the best cocktails I've ever had. The One Beer and Brown Sugar were out of this world. Also awesome service and uber cool atmosphere. We'll be back!

Amazing place, came in by accident since the place we were looking to visit was closed. This turned out to be our luck as this place is simply amazing, the coffee was really good, the brunch items both tasty but also beautifully presented, so nice in fact that I was sceptical about eating the yogurt, I didn't want to stir everything on the plate. The service was friendly and helpful, no problem with a small change of a menu item, food and drinks came fast and served with a smile and friendly words. Love this place, will come again.

Fantastic breakfast @ The Daltonist. €12 brunch menu was delicious and filling. Can recommend the Shakshuka focaccia & Yogurt bowl. Great service. Cosy environment, while they played chilled hip hop vibes. ** Back on an evening. Didn't disappoint. Soothing chill vibes, smart cocktails, cold beers. Yes. I'll be back.

We loved this bar! It was decorated so nicely inside and had some very delicious and unique drinks. We also got the dates of paradise and they were exceptional!

Unfortunately, I didn’t like it at all. I would rate the food -10/10. I ordered shakshuka, but unfortunately it turned out to be a classic expectation vs. reality case… The first photo shows what I received, the second one shows what a proper shakshuka actually looks like 🙌🏼There wasn’t enough tomato sauce, which is the very base of this dish, even though it was clearly listed in the menu (photo attached as well). My partner had the English breakfast, but sadly it wasn’t worth the money either – the sausages weren’t tasty, and the mushrooms were over-peppered. The only thing we actually enjoyed was the coffee. Unfortunately, the service was also below expectations. When we expressed our opinion about the “shakshuka,” the waiter simply said, “it happens, sorry,” and that was it. I believe that in a good place, the service should be on a higher level, with an actual solution offered. In short, I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Another gem in Split, together with String's Bar. Lovely service, great atmosphere and incredible cocktails! The carrot cake one was to die for! I loved the mix between the yogurt foam and the actual cocktail, it was such an enjoyable drink. So easy (maybe too easy!!) To drink. My partner had the amaretto sour which was incredible!Definitely recommend this spot in you are in Split!

Had a lovely breakfast here! The juices were super fresh, and the toasts were delicious. We tried the shakshuka and focaccia bread—both flavorful and satisfying. Great way to start the day! It is both hearty and vegetarian-friendly.

This vegan restaurant is hands-on the best we've ever visited. The food presentation is nothing short of stunning. Each plate is crafted with care and creativity. Every bite speaks of top-quality ingredients. It's clear the chefs here are passioante about what they do. We could enjoy Juicy Marbles steaks here, a rare find in Croatia and rare treat. The menu features signature meals. Among them, the standout for us was the starter for two called Garden. It was presented as a moss garden on a plate where every element was edible. The creativity and execution were simply amazing. Despite the high quality and gourmet feel, the prices are reasonable. Highly recommended, definitevely value for money.

We ate breakfast at Green Pandora Box and liked it so much that we went back for dinner. I think the vegetarian menu is a nice touch—it helps the restaurant stand out. The interior is very cute and whimsical, like something out of a fairy tale, and the space is relatively small and cozy. The waiters were friendly and asked several times if we were enjoying the food. For breakfast, we had the Big Breakfast Plate, which was nice, and the pancakes. For dinner, we both had the sliders. Everything was good and a nice change for us. The prices are a bit high, but that’s typical for most restaurants in the Old Town.

Came to this place for lunch recommended by our tour guide. Ordered the sliders and vegan omelette. Both were tasty and delicious .The french fries was well cooked. It is a bit over priced but we are in the heart of the old town.

This place was amazing. They were incredibly accommodating of celiac disease. The waitress let me know that though there may be some cross contamination they will do their best to avoid it and have not had any issues in the past with people with celiac eating here. I went for dinner one day and went back for breakfast the next. I got their fries, risotto, açaí bowl, women’s juice, a big salad, and polenta. Everything was yummy and gluten free.

Great food in a beautiful restaurant. We had the vegan omelette and a bowl for breakfast there and I decided to go back to try the vegan filet, which was very good. The restaurant is a bit in the pricey side, but it was worth it for me.

In Split there are many vegan options and surely Pandora Greenbox is one of the best. It is wonderfully located in the historical centre, it is very particular with a big tree inside and it has an huge variety of foods and drinks. I had for dinner the amazing Pandora’s Little Garden and it was a great choise: I truly loved it! It looks wonderful, it’s full of flavours well combined, it’s funny, colourful, it’s delicious!!! After it I was full but I couldn’t resist and I took a dessert too: a really really good and fresh Lemon Cake with Coconut Crakers and Cream and a Strawberry&Rose Sauce. Last but not least, the waitress was very kind and nice! So, if you’re in Split, doesn’t matter if you are vegan or not, try Pandora Greenbox and you will not be disappointed!

Fantastic local food in a charming setting 🪴 We had a wonderful dinner for 8 people as a walk up! The food came out very quickly and the local wine was delicious. Give this charming spot a try if in split!

Came here for nibbles and a couple of drinks. The mezze platter was really tasty, every element was perfect. The bread was fluffy, the salad was well dressed and the tomato was really flavourful. The pesto was also pretty fresh tasting. One of the highlights of our visit!

We got a few cocktails; however, the quality of the cocktails were not great. They used "dirty ice" which mean it melts too quick and diluted our drinks. Service and atmosphere were good! Cocktail list is quite good as well

Stellar view out over the harbour. Incredible food, we had a variety of cold appetizers that ranged from very good to absolutely outstanding, followed by a grilled John dory fish, cut and served table side. Strongly recommended.

We had a celebration dinner for 16. Everything was great. I was able to stop in a couple of days early and select the wines. We set up the meal family style. Everyone enjoyed the food, wine, service and view. Highly recommend Zrno Soli for a special dinner in Split.

The lunch special feels like a steal. The food is absolutely incredible. The inclusion of water, wine and a coffee is a bonus. Great experience at lunch. Don’t be deterred by bad weather as they ca close the ceiling and if it’s rain / wind or clouds, it’s still a great visit.

Top best restaurant on all our trip for 3 weeks in Europe. Very good in sea food n cooking skill. Great seafood n fishes dishes. Sea bass in salt n risotto in crab sauces cooking w great skill. Restaurant locate in marina w great location, a bit away from city but worth the walk.

Hey :) We had a great dinner at Plan B with our group of friends. The food was delicious, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. One thing that surprised us was the way of ordering – you get a paper and a pen and simply circle what you want. It felt like a little throwback to the past, but honestly, it was kind of fun and unique. As tourists from Prague, we were pleasantly surprised to find that we could order Staropramen beer – and it was great! A little taste of home made the evening even better. All the dishes we tried were really tasty, and everyone was happy with their meal. The only downside was that we couldn’t pay separately by card, which was a bit inconvenient as we were hoping to split the bill. I understand that it’s probably easier for groups to have one person pay, but still, it would have been nice to have the option. Overall, we’re giving it 5 stars because the food was excellent, and the small issues were just minor details. Definitely worth a visit! Greetings from the group from Prague 🇨🇿

Great place. Feeling of a local gastropub with fantastic upbeat atmosphere and mouthwatering food. Some tables are a bit cramped but they have seating outside which is fantastic for smokers and still great atmosphere. Highly recommend

The food is good but very basic. Service depends on the waiter/waitress. We got very rude one. He/she didn't even bother to bring us the drinks that we order. Atmosphere here is very pleasant.

Really tasty, juicy burgers with a variety of toppings available. I had three "mini burgers", which to be fair could stand alone as a full size burger in their own right. Buns were fresh, patties cooked perfectly, and toppings just right. We ordered fries each and onion rings to share, but I think one portion of fries could do 2-3 people easily. You order by filling out a little menu slip for your desired food items, which is a bit of a gimmick but I quite liked it. Choose what you want to order in your own time, cross out any ingredients you don't like, and the food came out in a timely manner taking into account our edit requests. Service was friendly and quick, but we didn't receive any napkins or sauces for our meal (which was needed) like other tables did.

We had a great time here and a very delicious food. The Service was so friendly. We had Pizza , Avocado and Veggie Salat and Fries with truffles. It was soooo good ☺️ Of course we will come back ☺️

Local traditional Croatian Bakery! Everything made here is incredible! Perfect spot for breakfast to try some different Croatian pastries and everything is made fresh that same morning. We were there around Easter and they even had Easter buns, which were such a treat to try. Highly recommend checking this place out while in Split!

One of the best bakeries on central Splits main streets. This has a great range of products. I would highly recommend anything from.this bakery. Prices are highly reasonable. This has one of the best range of speciality cakes also. Service was great and fast. Great breakfast for 5 euros

One thing I noticed throughout our travels through the Balkans is, that you can find amazing bakeries in almost every city. You never can go wrong with a coffee and a piece of delicious pastry, right? We got something sweet and savoury there: cinnamon buns and a pastry with some pesto filling inside. Both were fresh and really tasty, and we can totally understand, why there's a waiting line at this bakery so often!☺️

We were delighted to see a"gluten free" bakery but we're very disappointed when we arrived. There was only gluten free bread available and one pizza. Then we were told the food was not safe for celiacs as the chef didn't use clean gloves/tools when cooking!? I asked what the pint of lifting gluten free food was if they didn't care about allergens.. When asked on their cross contamination/allergy policy the staff were extremely rude and dismissive. I was very disappointed and will not be running.

Good borek - we got meat and potato. He gives you a generous slice. The pastry was flaky. Could be filled with more meat but overall really enjoyed. Good for grab and go!

This was hands down one of the best street food experiences we had in Croatia — and easily the best value. For just €3 you get a huge piece of Burek, a golden puff pastry made of delicate, buttery layers stuffed with either meat or cheese. My wife and I split one beef and one cheese, and while both were tasty, the meat one was our favorite. Be warned though — these are filling. For the price of a coffee elsewhere in Europe, you’ll be full for hours on something that tastes remarkable. What made the experience even better was the hospitality. The guys at the counter were super friendly and laid-back — even something as simple as filling our water bottle was met with kindness, which isn’t always the case in places like Italy or France. Their easygoing vibe and genuine warmth made the stop even more memorable. Delicious food, unbeatable price, and authentic hospitality — I’d come back just for them. Highly recommend!

The most flaky, crunch Phyllo dough I’ve ever had. We shared a beef Burek and a spinach cheese burek. So delicious and filling. Just a warm delicious meal.

There is a reason why this business has been around for 40 years - it is quick, filling, and delicious street food. It is a small place that offers street service, counter service take-away, or counter service and have a seat at one of the few tables. There are several options, but depending on when you arrive, there may not be many choices left - it must sell out fast when it opens. We were lucky enough to get the last piece with meat. It reminded me of a traditional meat pie, but made of great tasting Philo dough. A great local choice. Thanks.

Light, but hearty at the same time. The meat burek was particularly fantastic. I visited multiple times during my time in Split. Very well priced and a good range of freshly made bureks. A beautiful way to start the day.

Delicious bagels right in the heart of Split. Freshly made, high quality and super affordable. The service is nice and quick, perfect if you’re on the go. We tried 3 bagels from the menu and loved them all. My personal favorite is the Mortadella. Generously filled with mortadella, gouda, fresh tomato and lettuce. The Ham & Cheese is also a great choice. Cheddar and pickles give it a nice kick. No seating, so just grab and go. Definitely worth a stop.🥯

Amazing place for a quick bite in the city. Brooklyn Bagel Co. is close to a lot of the attractions in the heart of the city, and in a perfect spot when returning from the beach to fuel up. The bagels were great, highly recommend for a lunch snack. Would be cool to see them implement some kind of outdoor seating to improve the atmosphere even more, but no complaints whatsoever.

Not tasty at all. Really dry and salty. I've had fresh bagels before in London, there was something not right with this place, felt mass produced and lacked any love.

Would not recommend the vegan bagel. The service was also horrible. The girl working pretty much threw the bagel at me when it was ready. This was a Tuesday night, train your staff the basics in customer service and look into what makes a good vegan bagel. It's not that hard.

Delicious breakfast bagel with egg, cheese & bacon. The bagel was so fresh! Located across the intersection from Split’s Bus Station. So happy to have a tasty, fresh breakfast bagel sandwich before traveling on a 5 hour bus ride.

Delicious!! Chimichanga was superb. Ordered the one with pulled beef. 10/10. My husband got 3 different tacos and were good too. Just make sure to tell them your spice level! The place is pretty small so it can get crowded but it has a lot of personality. ♡ Shout out to the owner and head chef too. They worked hard to get the orders out as fast as possible.

Tasty Mexican food with plenty of vegetarian options, made super fast, and reasonably priced. The tacos were flavorful, the sweet-potato fries tasty, the churros were also delicious. The styrofoam packaging was not the best, and also led to food becoming soggy faster. I was satisfied with the taste of what I ordered, though. However, the restaurant itself is small, and although we originally wanted to dine in, the smell of the cooking oil was so strong, we eventually could only take out.

It was sooo good! We did a trip to split and this was such a good Food experience😍 Everything was fantastic! Especially the Guacamole. We had 3x tacos, burrito, nachos, quesadilla, Coke, Water and Churros with Nutella and paid 44.- Euros. Such a good deal!😍

Small cosy mexican place next to the old town. Cash only with amazing options. The soft shell corn tacos were really good. Ample vegeterian options and the churros were fresh and hot! Only thing to suggest is to add some fish/shrimp options!

Tiny restaurant near marketplace. Decorated nicely with mexican style, only few sitting places. Prises were resonable so you dont have to use much money. Food came in average speed but meat in tacos was cold, not chili at all and no mexican style lime slice to sol beer. Also i find hair from my food so maybe my experience could be better. These are basic things to wait to be okay, so i didnt complained in restaurant about these. Two other burrito meals was warm and tasted okay so thats good sign and i could give new possibility to restaurant and then update this rewiev if needed. Good to know: cash only and no toilet.

As folks who have moved from the States to Denmark, something we miss dearly is good Mexican food. We're on holiday in Split and this really hit the spot!!

I drink flat white coffee, I chose Ethiopian beans, but apparently an inexperienced barista did it for me, because there is no late art, the milk is poorly churned, the temperature is low. The coffee made by the barista is not worth the price of 6€.

Had a cappuccino with a plant based milk, it was awesome! Nice, creamy and soft.. Location in the centre yet hidden from the crowds 🙈 Also, Jelena was such a kind and welcoming host! ✨ Definitely recommending it :))

Love this place! Tinel Split is nice, like Tinel in Trogir. You may choose type of beans. Good offer of drinks for the whole year. I like cappuccino and espresso-tonic here.

Very disappointing: coffee made without care, no latte art. We were told it was used Oatly as oatmilk, but it definitely wasn’t. The coffee tastes like nescafe, not what you expect from a specialty coffee shop.

The capuccino was great! Very high quality coffee and great plant based milk. There’s just a few options of food, so it’s not a place for full breakfast. The service was terrible. I first asked for a coffee to go and then changed my mind and asked if it was still possible to do it to drink at the place. The girl look at me and didn’t even reply to my question. She just gave me the coffee to go with a really bad humor. The atmosphere was ok, but good to remember that computer is not allowed, since there are just a few seats available.

Excellent coffee! The iced coffee is so good that i got two, and the caramel and strawberry syrups are amazing! Red haired girl is very kind and gorgeous!

Excellent place. The service couldn’t be nicer and more helpful. Reduce menu of prosciutto (jamón) and cheese but very tasty for a light lunch or a nibble. Beautiful place.

Great atmosphere, the venue it’s self is beautiful with a good location. Staff were more interested in getting more people in then actually serving those already seated. Finally got a waitress to take our order and then brought out the wrong drink. After several attempts to signal the waitress, she had zero desire to check and see if we wanted a second drink, but instead walked past our table with empty glasses on many occasions, so we requested the bill which we had to ask for multiple times. Over all good location, nice venue, service not great.

Really like the atmosphere here! Nice setting and the staff are friendly and attentive. It can be hard to get a seat though so on busy nights make sure to get there earlier then you would normally to grab a seat.

A gem of a boutique hotel, with outstanding customer service and lots of little touches that you remember long after the tans have faded. The breakfasts are huge and delicious, with lots of variety for different cultures and tastes. Our room was immaculate and and so comfortable! Very quiet at night. 5 min walk to main old town area. Close to some shops for groceries. Breakfast was perfect. Great selection. The pool is an absolute win during the summer. Very nice to be able to come back for a dip after walking in the heat. 10/10 hotel and experience.

What a gem! This hotel is located close to the centre of Split but in a very quiet road. The facilities are great but what makes it such an outstanding place to stay is the staff and attention given to their guests. Maria provides all the information you need, books rrstaurants that she recommends, provides ferry information and goes above and beyond what us normally offered on a hotel. Every.member of the team was friendly, helpful and really engaged with clients. I can honestly say we have never had such attentive, caring staff before in any hotel we have stayed in. In addition, the bed was really comfortable, the shower was spacious and powerful, the air con was really effective and the breakfasts were fantastic. The best place to stay in Split without a doubt.

From the moment I booked my room, I was instantly impressed with the level of service. I had a few questions and Marija & staff answered quickly and thoroughly. When we arrived, we were treated with warmth, kindness, and generosity. The rooms were immaculate, the property is charming, and the food was outstanding. They accommodated my vegan dietary needs. The entire team there is phenomenal and I cannot wait to go back and stay with them again.

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights. We enjoyed our stay more than any other hotel we stayed at (which included a couple 5 star resorts), and it was all because of the perfect staff at this hotel. From my first 5 minute phone call to confirmation emails and texts from Mirjana, I could already tell how nice she was and it only got more obvious in person. She gave my wife and I a bottle of wine when we arrived. The dinner recommendations they gave us were perfect. Their breakfasts were also so delicious. It was very clear this staff loves what they do, they love each other, and they treat their visitors with the same contagious love. My wife and I agreed that we have never felt so well taken care of. The location was also just a 5-10 minute walk from anywhere you needed to go. Highly recommend! Best staff of any hotel I’ve ever been to in my life!

Perfect in city boutique hotel. Service was impeccable breakfast was delightful and rooms were well appointed. Great that it was close to the city within walking distance and you really felt like you were living in Croatia. Although there was no elevator, No worries the staff took our luggage up to our rooms and brought them down when we were departing. I would go back and stay there again and again and again. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Excellent location and the staff were fantastic and so helpful with every question we had, including for recommendations for tours and food. The room we had was quite small with some bulky furniture, however very clean with a good size shower. Overall would recommend staying here if you are visiting Split.

Convenient hotel with a responsive and helpful owner. Great location if going to or coming from the bus station. It was comfortable/clean and a good place for us to sleep after a long day of travel. They also offer airport pickup for much cheaper than a taxi or uber. We only stayed one night but it was exactly what we needed, plus a 10 minute walk to the bus station.

Beautiful luxury room, spacious, great bed, great bathroom, fantastic customer service from hosts, and good location. Only downside, minimal parking available. Good restaurant nearby for all meals, well priced.

The apartment is a bit old, but the room is neat and roomy. It is equipped with everything that you need. The location is a little away from the busy town centre, but it takes just a 4-5 minutes to reach on foot. It is slightly difficult to find if you do it without google. The environment is quiet . The caretaker is nice and friendly.

I’m giving this so-called hotel a rating of 2 as max. because it’s relatively close to the beach (about a 20-minute walk). Otherwise, I would rate it a 1. First of all, I made a reservation two months in advance for €170 (with all taxes includes). A few days before my trip, I canceled and rebooked, and it ended savings costing for €120 only (with all taxes includes)— which is still way too much for what you get. Check-in is from 3:00 PM, and check-out is at 10:00 AM. I arrived at 10:00 AM and was allowed to leave my suitcase, but then I had to sit like a homeless person on a bench waiting for check-in. After some complaints, they finally let me in at 2:00 PM. When I entered the room, it smelled awful — like shrimp. I even found a man’s sock under the table (size 45!), so clearly the cleaning process wasn’t done properly. The soundproofing was poor — I could hear the neighbors opening and closing their doors. But the main reason I couldn't sleep was the AIR CONDITIONER. It was making such loud clicking noises that I kept waking up in shock. I had set my alarm for 8:00, but ended up getting up around 6:00 because of all the noise. There were two glasses on the nightstand, but absolutely no eother 1 Bottle of water provided. There was also a small fridge — EMPTY AND TURNED ON. Why even have a fridge if there's not even a bottle of water inside?! Breakfast included fried eggs, something like an omelet, cheese, croissants, a couple of kinds of cold cuts, watermelon, and cereal. I was surprised that there were no vegetables at all — not even a slice of tomato/cucumber . Coffee was only filter coffee. For a place that charges €170 (with all taxes includes) per night during the season its to high , altought the breakfast was disappointing as well The dining area had only four tables total. in area of 5 M square meter . When we were leaving, there was no one at the reception. We just left the key card and walked out — there was no one to even say thank you to. The only advantage of this place is its location near the beach — and that’s it.

In general a nice place, however, minus 2 stars for breakfast. The pictures of the breakfast are completely misleading. You have to preorder your breakfast menu (3 options, one of which is vegan and you have to pay 5€ extra). We stayed for 8 nights and were not served the breakfast from the picture a single time. We got vegetables 2 times out of 8 and it was 3 slices of cucumber. Same situation with fruit. We got only 2 bananas for several days. Other days it was one slice of watermelon per person. The room was nice, but the breakfast was a complete disappointment.

HRecommend! We loved our stay at Makarun Heritage Rooms. The location is perfect—just steps from Diocletian’s Palace. There are only five rooms, so it feels quiet and personal. The staff really went out of their way to make us feel welcome, sitting us down when we arrived to give tips on what to see, where to eat, and what to do. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well designed—especially the bed, which was super comfy. We also had dinner at their restaurant with a group of 12 and everything was fantastic—great service and amazing food. Would definitely stay here again!

We had a wonderful one-night stay at the Makarun Heritage Rooms and Makarun Restaurant. From the start, communication was excellent — we were met off the ferry with a warm welcome, and the team went above and beyond to provide personalised recommendations and help us with bookings during our short stay. The room was immaculate — clean, comfortable, and finished to a high standard. Everything about the accommodation showed attention to detail. The real highlight, though, was our dinner. Our group of six enjoyed an exceptional meal with attentive, intuitive service — always helpful but never intrusive. The sea bass and lamb were both outstanding, cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. The wine pairings were also very well chosen and the staff attitude really made the whole experience special. As the saying goes, “price is what you pay, value is what you get” — and this was true here. While we spent a fair amount, it felt like excellent value for a truly memorable evening. This restaurant is a gem, and I wouldn’t be surprised if it soon appears in the kind of guidebooks that highlight the best in fine dining. Highly recommended — a place clearly run with care, skill, and genuine hospitality.

What a gem! We spent 2 nights here and it was a fabulous experience. Great communication before our arrival and service was 10/10. The breakfast is a feast of homemade and homegrown specialties and service by the delightful Tija. We thought the location was ideal for sightseeing and wandering in the old city. They transported our bags to the port for us which was a real treat in the heat!

A beautiful, welcoming room in the heart of old town. Amenities like tv with Netflix, waterfall shower with plenty of hot water, mini fridge. The location is in old town, very close to the water, train station, ferry, and the palace. Make sure to include the hotel breakfast in your morning plans, it is delicious and multiple courses. One of the days we weren’t able to make it due to an early tour, and they packed us a to go breakfast that was very nice. Overall, we felt very welcomed and comfortable here!

Good hospitality beats good location everyday of the week. Makarun rooms do have a good location but their hospitality is just on another level, which makes them one of the best accomodations I've ever stayed at. Honestly, I would keep coming back to Split just to stay with them.

Had the most amazing experience here! In particular, Ivica was wonderful. Everything about the hotel was perfect from the room to the location, service, kindness, and constant communication to help with any questions during my stay. Ivica went above and beyond to help arrange transportation, provide meals, share ideas of where to dine and visit, etc. I will absolutely be coming back for the amazing experience and service here! 10/10!

Location can’t be beat. Milka was very helpful. The rooms have thin walls though so you can hear those above and below you, but other than that very clean and private. Overall one of the best spots to stay in split.

The location was great! Easy to get to once in old town, close to everything. Parking was so convenient with the host! The room was prepared well. The host was super helpful with transportation and tips on things to do and places to eat. We enjoyed the breakfast as well! I Would recommend staying here and booking directly through the host!!

Amazing, amazing! This stunningly done-out, boutique hotel could not be more central. It's within the palace walls. The rooms are gorgeous and airy and the delightful owners have thought of really personal touches in terms of what they provide - maps, plug adapters, complimentary drinks. If you're driving, which we were, they'll send you a pin in a map so you can meet them with perfect ease. He will then park your car on private land, because you can't drive into the stunning old town (the streets are too small), leaving you to explore this stunning place footloose and fancy free. They give you a voucher to have breakfast in THE cafe/restaurant in Split, in the old square surrounded by live music and looking at the cathedral, etc. It's perfect. The owners are so king and professional and I won't stay anywhere else now.

Absolutely amazing. The location is perfect and the rooms are as nice as they look in the images. Our room was immaculate and had great air conditioning. Sokol the owner was so helpful and was available on WhatsApp to assist with any enquiries. He also recommended lots of great local places to visit etc. We wouldn’t stay anywhere else when we come back in the near future.

Grgur Ninski rooms are clean, modern, and centrally located near Diocletian Palace’s peristyle. A hearty breakfast is included and located in the Luxor restaurant just a few steps away. Our host was readily available through WhatsApp and had many suggestions for activities and transportation around Split. Highly recommend!

If you're looking for a place to stay in Split, this is most definitely 100% the place to stay. It is located INSIDE Diocletian's Palace. The location is amazing. Steps away to the bell tower, a courtyard with live music and drinks that can be ordered from the marble steps and walking distance to fantastic restaurants and sites. Our host met us right at the entrance to the palace and walked us into the rooms. He also had some great restaurant recommendations. These rooms are amazing—located inside an ancient palace yet incredibly modern and beautiful. Everything was impeccably clean, and we loved walking down the street to the cafe for our breakfast (also right across from the bell tower). This was my favorite place we stayed on our vacation. One word of warning—because the location is so amazing, it is RIGHT in the hustle and bustle of the palace so if your'e a light sleeper you might want to consider some ear plugs. We were fine, but just in case :)

We stayed 3 nights as a couple and I can recommend this location without any concerns. It is a lovely place, very clean and quiet, away from the rush of the city but in a good walking distance to the Split riva and also to the old town and the hilly garden. Nevenka, the owner, is such a kind person and she is always having good recommendations and is available in case you need anything. 💯% a 5 out of 5 rating. Thanks again for hosting us.

Our room was very nice, clean and very central. The housekeeper was incredibly nice and even let us change and get ready in another cleaned room, after check-out, before we headed to the airport. We had a really nice time there and if we visit Split again we’ll definitely stay there again! Thank you so much!

Excellent find ! Very clean . Very close to the old centre and seafront. Staff were there to meet me and spent ages explaining with a map where to go, where we were located and local good restaurants. There was a small shared kitchen area with microwave and sink. Fridge in the room with water bottles in it. Good air con, large walk in shower with shower gel. There was an area up top via a ladder but I didn't need to go up there.

Such a beautiful spot in a precious location. Walking distance from the Palace and right in the historic town. We brought our car along and the owner was kind and patient to drive around late at night to find a parking spot. Very pleased with our stay. And would recommend with the blink of an eye.

We had the most amazing stay here and Nevenka is the most amazing woman. As soon as we arrived she offered us an upgrade which the room and facilities were great!! She had a map ready of the best places to visit, eat and everything else for us. The room is around 5 minute walk into the old town. We had some lovely coffee and a beer waiting for us when we arrived and this has to be one of the best hosts we have ever had on all of our travels. I honestly couldn't recommend this place enough.  5*!!!!

Excellent location for these rooms right on the main square in the 1000 year-old part of Split. We stayed for 55 nights and the rooms were generous with everything that we needed. Great value for money! Service from and to the airport was perfect!! Yes - I’d definitely stay again.

This was a service apartment so there wasn't a reception and room service. The room was clean and spacious, just like the photos. Basic linen was provided. Communication with the host was prompt, and instructions to enter the apartment was clear and easy to follow. There were no elevators, so you would need to carry your luggage yourself up two flight of stairs. The location was great; close to the old town and palace. Note, at night the streets in the area were not well lit.

These are perfectly situated, clean and quiet rooms. I also loved the balcony, which faced the greenery behind the house and has a washing line. We had a huge bed (made of two single beds). Mattresses are comfortable but on the harder side. Excellent shower. Airco is quiet and does not face the beds, which is a huge plus. About 5min walking to the Silver or Golden Gates and near the market, bakeries, cafés. Would definitely recommend!

Pros: The room was clean, comfortable, and well stocked. Cons: We had a really unpleasant exit that made us worried for our safety after the manager threatened to call the police over his lack of upfront pricing. It was not clear at any point that the parking price was per diem (“15EUR”), the spot was in free street parking, and when I offered to pay the 15 instead of 30EUR for 36 hrs of parking the manager and owner (note this is NOT a family business, according to his description of his role) threatened to call the police. This is an extreme escalation based on his misrepresentation of information. We would have 100% parked in a garage that was more comfortable for our vehicle had this been shared beforehand. Or, paid the price we had agreed upon. He used our nationality against us, “you don’t get free parking in America.” He got this from our passports at check-in, not a conversation that was had. Actually, we live in New York City, where our street parking is free, and have lived in and traveled to over 100 countries. His communication was not clear, we felt scammed, we will never return, and we do not recommend. It is a manager’s job to be able to handle conflict, miscommunication, and contingencies, and threatening to call the police on well-meaning foreign nationals is an abuse that no guest should risk experiencing.
