Sao Beach, located in the southeast corner of Phu Quoc island in Vietnam, is a stunning white-sand beach with clear waters and scenic views. Despite being at the center of significant resort development, it remains one of the most beautiful beaches in Vietnam. The beach offers a range of activities such as swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, kite surfing, and fishing. Visitors can also find local restaurants and chair rentals along the shore.
Beautiful, clean, white - perfect! I've never seen such a clean and tidy beach as this one! The water is great for swimming, and on the water there is a charming floating restaurant (Bè Nắng - Quán Ăn Trên Bè) that offers some of the finest seafood in the city in a magical setting! This beach is a must-see! Highly recommended!

This is a gorgeous beach but not very big. In my opinion NOT the best in Phu Quoc and yes, it is full of trash! PQ island has a list of “ best beaches” but for some reason, the best ones I have found are the ones off the map that I accidently found exploring. The unknown beaches. This one was crowded and small. Took me 40 min both ways to walk it entirely. Again,I agree with other reviews that it is full of trash. Most public beaches in Vietnam are. The only clean areas belong to resorts but this beach has mostly beach clubs that only keep their spot clean. Others businesses don’t bother .The swings and decorative bridge to your left belong yo the beach club bar and you have to pay to take pictures there! You also have to pay for bathrooms and showers… what a joke! There is a Highland Coffee shop( popular coffee chain in Vietnam) right at the entrance!
Kathy S — Google review
The beach is absolutely stunning. White sand, amazing water, Beautiful clean nature.. I can spend hours here. One thing to be aware of- they gonna charge you 100k for bed even if you order to drink from the restaurant. It’s about 30 minutes drive from centre.
Mor E — Google review
The beach has potential, but there is an enormous amount of ocean trash everywhere and nobody cleans it. Based on the layers of trash, it’s a long-term problem that nobody is addressing. We decided to leave and go to Khem Beach instead — there are more people, but it’s much cleaner, with no trash at all.
Juraj J — Google review
Nice white sandy beach clear water, bats and testaurants on the beach trees and palm trees on the beach for shadow. nice experience

🌴 Sao Beach – A Slice of Paradise with Room to Improve 🏖️ Sao Beach in Phu Quoc is absolutely stunning with its powdery white sand and turquoise waters — it truly looks like a postcard! 📸 It’s a great spot to relax, swim, or take beautiful photos. The beach is surrounded by palm trees and has a peaceful vibe, especially in the early morning or late afternoon. 🌅 However, it’s worth noting that some areas could use better maintenance. There have been reports of litter, especially during peak times, which takes away from the natural beauty. Hopefully, more efforts will be made to keep this gem clean. 🧹🌊 🍽️ Paradiso Restaurant – Beachfront Dining with a View 🌺 Located right on Sao Beach, Paradiso Restaurant offers a relaxed, beachfront dining experience. The views are unbeatable — you can enjoy your meal with your feet in the sand and the sea breeze in your hair. 🌬️🍹 The menu features fresh seafood, Vietnamese dishes, and tropical drinks. While the food is decent and the setting is lovely, some reviews mention that prices are a bit high for the quality, and service can be slow during busy hours. Still, it’s a great place to chill after a swim or grab a drink while watching the waves. 🐟🍤🍍.
Athif A — Google review
Absolutely stunning beach comparable to Roatan in the Caribbean. Crystal clear water and white sand. Really pretty.
HuDo U — Google review
To get to the Sao Beach was a bit difficult for me find the right entrance. I would recommend you to drop the navigation pin to this Chezdugong restaurant, easy access, you can also rent a chair there (I paid 100k per person). Overall the beach is a bit crowded, lots of boats around, good to take pictures and water activities. In my experience I prefer Khem Beach, much beautiful and calm.

Vung Bau Beach, nestled on the northwest coast of Phu Quoc Island, is a hidden gem that offers an idyllic escape for those seeking tranquility. This stunning half-moon bay features a long stretch of soft sand and calm jade waters, perfect for leisurely walks or kayaking adventures. The southern end of Vung Bau Beach is particularly serene, providing a secluded atmosphere away from the hustle and bustle—ideal for picnics or simply soaking in the peaceful surroundings.
Great, but prefer out of rainy season days - the sea is quite wavy and not possible to swim safe. Out of the rainy season is better than Maldives.
Valentina B — Google review
We didn't reach the point on the map, but were 1 km to the south on the coast. It's just before some private territory with fish farm. The road is super bumpy and you need to drive very carefully. But the beach with stones in the water is still there. There are also very many interesting sea shells.
Anna T — Google review
Decent Natural beach with not many people there, you‘ll basically have the Beach for your own. Since there are no hotels the beach is not cleaned which might result in trash being flushed to the Land, but it‘s not as bad as other Reviews state it. Regarding Navigation, simply follow the Street towards Chez Carole and then continue on the dirt road. You will come to a stop right in Front of a fenced private property but simply park your scooter there and continue on foot towards the beach.

Amazing location Cottages on the beach Amazing pool on the beach Great food Loving staff Very clean rooms Very safe Family and kids friendly Just what we were looking for We cancelled the day plan just to enjoy the resort facilities 1.5 km road access is bad but you know, bad roads always lead to gorgeous places This post is unpaid, genuine review

A Private date on the beach & unforgettable experiences of us! In the Northern Phu Quoc lies a turquoise & tranquil bay named Half-moon Bay (or Vũng Bầu Bay) where you can freely enjoy kayaking with a very little chance of a crowdedness ahead. My partner & I experienced the route of 4 km long from Half-moon beach, passing by Fingernail Island before reaching Casuarina Beach for relaxing & drinking tropical coconut water then we continued to paddle back to the shore. When the sun came down on the water, we also finished the wonderful paddle which lasted around 3 hours of fun, chill & retreat. It followed by a romantic dinner right on the beach. We hope to share this exotic experience for those enthusisatic couples out there who are also seeking for private dates on the beach like we used to, it would be perfect!!! Unfortunately, as we’d like to enjoy the wholeness of us together while paddling, we didn’t bring the camera with us so these photos were taken before & after the paddle. :) Just ask google for #Half-moon Beach, #Vung Bau Bay and they will guide you there somehow.

Another beach where your entrance is blocked by security guards. There's some real estate development ongoing, which would explain it. We drove in with our scooter, and a security guard was literally chasing us, honking all the way. That's pretty much all the fun there is to be had on this beach. It's a shame the island's beaches are closed off, there's a lot of natural beauty here but annoying visitors by keeping then out of most of the coastline certainly won't help make a success of these investments. You do need people to want to come back and tell others to come here...
Tamas K — Google review
We arrived around 10am in the morning and we had the beach all by ourselves. A bit of bumpy roads but least of an issue compared to nusa penida. Wear a mask and don’t wear white! You will thank me for that later. Bike parking is free. Beach is about 100-200m walk from there. It’s truly a hidden gem with clear water and peaceful surroundings. Do bring your own drinks and food as there isn’t any stall around. Please keep this beautiful beach clean! We left about 12pm and saw a lot of locals coming in for lunch break.
Jaster ( — Google review
Following the dirt road on a scooter is fun. The beach, where we were is long and in principle empty. There was no sign of infrastructure i.e. huts, bars, benches etc., just the sandy beach. At some point along the dirt road further north we had to turn around as a big excavator blocked the way. Even the scooter could not pass. Following another road under construction it was a, in a way, to see the forrest being destroyed on such scale.

Ông Lang beach, located just 6km from Duong Dong Town, is a peaceful and beautiful stretch of coastline that offers a perfect setting for swimming and sunbathing. The area has seen development with numerous resorts catering to different budgets, while the main road comes alive at night with local bars and restaurants. Visitors can also explore nearby attractions such as Dinh Ba Temple and enjoy spectacular sunsets.
We were looking for a nice free beach for snorkeling and this is by far the best spot we found. Beautiful sea, lots of colorful fishies, relatively little garbage in the water (plenty on the beach tho), and not too many tourists around. You’ll have to enter through a resort, marked by a big turquoise gate on the main road, but we had no trouble going in on our moped, and the guard didn’t seem to mind (we were very obviously tourists tho). A perfect end to our trip to Phu Quoc!
Tim I — Google review
A beautiful stretch of crescent shaped beach with golden sand and swimming. But take note, ALL the land fronting the beach has been sold for development. Some have been finished, some not yet started, but the whole stretch of the beach has VERY LIMITED ACCESS. The land has all been sold and developers have blocked off access with gates, fences and security guards. Hopefully you will be lucky enough to enjoy this beach before the resorts take over completely. We came and found a beautiful island with lovely people, but we didn't come to fight for access to a beach. Would we come again? Definitely not., There are other places in the world, like Thailand, where the beaches are owned by the Crown and access can be enjoyed byeveryone, not just those who choose to stay in expensive resorts. Beautiful beach,
Stephen R — Google review
Good place, slightly out of reach but when I was there, it was only me and my friends, we had a good time. Make sure to go thru the big green gate and we had to pay 50k dong for the entry fee.
Ye W — Google review
This should (and is) a beautiful beach which is sadly littered with trash… unfortunately outside any resort beaches this seems to be the norm … so much being spent on other built attractions when nature is the finest one available and is being spoiled…. Clean up or prevention would be better as Vietnam is a wonderful country.
Jacqueline C — Google review
This beach surprised me with how quiet and pristine it is. The golden sand and calm waves make it perfect for swimming. Enjoying cocktails at sunset is fantastic. I’d recommend my friends to come here for relaxation away from the busier tourist spots.
Hien N — Google review
Have to access through green gate after paying symbolic "entrance fee" to the guard. Beach is nice, big and not much people. But has plenty of garbage around, unfortunately.
Karlis A — Google review
It was so sad to see how dirty this beach was, right next to a huge resort… it’s like if they used it as their dumpster, truly so sad.
Beatriz A — Google review
Beautiful beach and amazing sunset but full of trash like many beaches in Vietnam unfortunately. Accessible by searching for the “family inn” on google map, go straight by it (the owner will tell you it’s not a great time to go and there are scorpions but it’s not true 😂) and then a little bit further there is a rocky path on the left that will lead you to the beach. Doable with a motorbike but be careful.

Gành Dầu Beach, located on the northern coast of Phu Quoc, is a serene and secluded beach known for its calm waters, sandy shores, and local fishermen. Tucked away from high-rise resorts by the protective mountain range of the national park, this beach offers a peaceful retreat for swimming and sunbathing. The palm-lined shore provides a perfect setting to enjoy some alone time or witness stunning sunsets with your beloved.
There is a small business at the south end of the beach that has fishing expeditions, kayak rentals, snorkeling rentals, and more. He is a very nice person with a nice family.
Martin G — Google review
Quiet beach location with views across to Cambodia. Many boats nearby. Did not seem suitable for swimming with little amenity. Much rubbish (including mattresses) just dumped near the beach. May be a good place to visit for viewing sunsets.
Michael C — Google review
Most of the beaches on Phu Quoc are a bit dirty, that’s just how it is here. In time I’m sure they will clean up but for now this is what you get. We still went for a swim to cool off after the ride from the other side of the island. Nice enough - the views are lovely:) There is a restaurant near by you can get a cold beer or lunch. All in all - Worth a look
Rigoniman R — Google review
Ganh Dau Beach offers a quiet escape on the northwestern tip of Phu Quoc Island, with views stretching across the sea to Cambodia. The beach is known for its soft, golden sands that gently curve around clear turquoise waters, creating a picturesque coastal scene. However, while the setting appears ideal at first glance, it comes with a few drawbacks. The presence of many fishing boats anchored nearby takes away from the sense of seclusion and limits the beach's suitability for swimming. Despite being bordered by pristine rainforests that serve as the green lungs of the area, the beach itself suffers from poor maintenance. Litter, including large discarded items like mattresses, is scattered near the shore, detracting from the natural beauty. Amenities are minimal, making it less appealing for those seeking a full beach-day experience. That said, Ganh Dau can still be worth a short visit—especially during sunset, when the sky ignites in rich hues and the calm sea reflects the fading light. It's a spot better suited for peaceful walks and scenic views than for swimming or recreation.
Vichuda P — Google review
Nice sunset but no beach at the moment. Just garbage as they rebuild some properties on the beach. I took a taxi to Bai Dai beach to.enjoy during the day during my stay here. There are some cheaper yummy food establishments further away from the sea, in the town area, which I would recommend. Would be worth eating by the beach of it wasn't full of trash and debree from the woeks being done. Unfortunately timing on my part and will probably be like this for the next few months.
Melanie F — Google review
You can buy fresh fish in here from the local fisherman when they has just landfall ( ì you lucky). You can enjoy a cup of coffee on sidewalk and view the sea, the sea so clean at this season
Triệu N — Google review
Good place to enjoy sunset with your beloved and do fishing as well... Local people usually swimming in the afternoon and from this site we can see some island of Cambodia. The North of the island where strong windy from Jan to Jun of the year..other side will be from Jul to Dec. A lot of hotel and small resort around. Highly recommend from my side to go to Nam Phuong Resorts nearby..don’t forget to try steamed calamari and Bivina Beer.

Khem Beach, also known as Bai Khem Beach, is a stunning and tranquil destination located on the southern part of Phu Quoc island. This picturesque beach boasts soft white sand, clear turquoise waters, and a serene atmosphere. Surrounded by hills and tall trees, it offers a peaceful setting for relaxation and various activities such as swimming, snorkeling, and enjoying breathtaking sunsets.
The best beach in the world!!! Very clean!!! The staff clean the beach every day, several times a day. The color of water is amazing, especially after rain. Sometimes, when there is storm at night, much rubbish and water plants are coming to the beach, but this is natural appearance of nature. That's why staff of the beach clean it every day fast and thoroughly. I think we should be very grateful to them for their work: they do their best to make our relaxation on top level. There are even special machines, brought to the beach, to make the sand smooth.

A clean beach with greenish seashore and many tourists swimming in the sea. White sandy beach. There are workers keep cleaning the beach. We had coconut drink and spend our relaxing time before going to restaurant.

Lovely beach, overall clean. Nice bars and restaurants around. Just tried the ice coffee there. You have to rent the beach chair. Shower available 20,000d. Can spend relaxing time here.
Lechimreko — Google review
Spacious, clean beach with soft sand. Water is very shallow and calm to swim when we visited. The only drawback was there some noise from construction work along the beach.
Rachel S — Google review
Very beautiful beach, water is clean, white sand. I especially recommend the south part where no one is and you can use free wifi here. You just need to stand a short argument with Marriott hotel guard guys whose say it is their private beach but we knew that base on the legislation it is not true. We enjoyed whole sunny day here.
Filip C — Google review
The beach is amazing - clean, with crystal-clear water and soft white sand. It’s truly beautiful, especially the part near the Marriott Hotel. Sometimes there are staff members who tell you that you can’t stay in that area, but in fact, according to Vietnamese law, you absolutely can. Once you mention this, they usually leave you alone. Knowing the law helps you enjoy one of the best spots on the beach. Under the Law on the Sea of Vietnam (2012) No. 18/2012/QH13, Article 17 states: “The coastal area belongs to the sovereignty and jurisdiction of Vietnam and is used for common benefit, environmental protection, and sustainable development.” In Phu Quoc: “No organization or individual may obstruct public access to the sea or beaches.”
Natalia H — Google review
Beautiful and clean but definitely come back and stay longer in GrandWorld PhuQuoc, in terms of accessibility, facilities etc the best option for free... this place is too far unless you got a motorcycle and stayed in the area for a few days. All other natural beaches - the free ones- are dirty and ugly including Sao. Unless that you get 4/5 star hotel coz they block their public beaches area and yes looks clean and good in their 80mt square 😆. All reviewed, all covered with my motorcycle, Final decision GrandWorld for accessibility and full for free swimming experience with free shuttle bus everywhere, by your own Khem ( need to pay chairs, toilet, shower and etc) only for free is breathing hahaha 🤣
J P — Google review
Beautiful. Shame about all the construction, especially when there are 1000 empty buildings around. Fair play to the team that keep it so clean

Cua Can Beach is a serene and underdeveloped gem located in the northwest of Phu Quoc Island. It boasts a unique landscape where a clear river meets the sea, creating a long sandbar lined with casuarina trees. The beach features smooth white sand formed by the gentle flow of the Cua Can River, surrounded by picturesque mountains. Despite its unspoiled beauty, it remains relatively undiscovered by tourists.
A small hidden beach perfectly for sunset No tourists, just next to a small village with all locals. Wondeful view. Highly recommended

Although the private beach of the resort is not worth it, walking closer to the rivermouth and you will be rewarded with refreshing and clear waters as well as the only sand dune in the island! Remember to bring plenty of water or refreshments with you as there are no beach bars. The trash may be an issue but the water is clean. Bonus, the beach is covered with sand dollars!
Grigoris G — Google review
Could be a very nice beach, but deserted and many stray dogs, not all too friendly. No need to go here until it's cleaned up

There is a sand bar by the river mouth which is consistently dredged but our mother nature always knows how to get it reshaped in a short time. Walking closer to the river mouth and you will be rewarded with refreshing and clear waters as well as the only sand dune on the island! While riding the motorbike to the north of the island, we saw a sing stating "Beach - Picnic". Since we had Binh Mí (Vietnamese sandwich) with us, we followed the call. The bumpy dirt road lead us to a very nice beach: the Cua Can Beach. It was almost empty. Only some locals were there. Feet in the sand, sun on the skin and Bunh Mí in the hand. As there were some swings (so amazing), we could not withstand to release our inner child.

Bai Dai beach is located on the western side of Phu Quoc island, stretching for approximately 15 km from Ganh Dau Cape to Cua Can. It boasts white powdery sand, clear turquoise waters, and a lush forest nearby. Despite some neglected areas with rough waves and occasional rubbish, it offers a picturesque setting for activities like swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, and enjoying stunning sunsets.
One of the best spots to chilling under sunset in Vietnam with kayaking, swimming, or just lying on the beach and drinking cocktail. You can rent sup, canoe or kayak just on the beach with affordable price. White and soft sand, flat. Recommend to visit from Oct to April, best would be from Nov to March (other months might rain or too hot). However, beach becomes dark and quite after 6:30 and there might have mosquitoes. Make sure that you have an-ti mosquitos if you wanna stay longer

Quan Dao An Thoi, also known as the An Thoi Archipelago, is a stunning group of 14 islands located just off the southern tip of Phu Quoc. This paradisiacal destination boasts deserted beaches, vibrant coral reefs, diverse marine life, and an abundance of bird species. Fingernail Island at the archipelago's southern end offers a Robinson Crusoe-like experience with its gorgeous beach accessible by swimming from an anchored boat.
In the An Thoi Archipelago, people may not know that there exists a coral mountain which is about 200-300 sq meter undersea and only approximately 0.2 meter under the water surface. Amazingly, these vivid coral reefs are still be well- preserved as not many tourists can reach out to this hidden place. Thanks to OnBird Phu Quoc, a dedicated snorkeling tour operator on the island, my parents & I could come here once & took some great photos of them before they bleach in the future who knows.

I was amazed by how beautiful these small islands are. Snorkeling here reveals colorful coral and tropical fish. Taking a boat tour is unforgettable. I’d recommend my friends to explore this archipelago for one of the best island-hopping experiences in Vietnam.

(Translated by Google) This is a chain of small islands in the Southern Phu Quoc Island tour, with many beautiful coral viewing spots. During the tour, the boat will stop at 1 spot for fishing and 2 spots for diving to see coral. The coral in this area is mostly dead and calcified, so it is not as colorful as often seen in movies. The number of fish species is not much. The advantage is that the water level in the coral viewing area is very shallow, just bring a float, float, and dive to look at the coral, even people who don't know how to swim can participate.

Ham Ninh fishing town is situated on the eastern side of the island, with a backdrop of mountains and a stunning ocean view. The prominent Ham Ninh mountain, reaching 300 meters high, adds to the picturesque scenery with its dark green hue against the blue sky and sea. The village is known for its fishing industry, where freshly caught fish are readily available at local restaurants. Visitors can enjoy seafood dishes at reasonable prices while taking in the tranquil atmosphere.
This fishing village surprised me with its rustic charm. Walking along the long pier and tasting fresh crab is unforgettable. The sunset view is amazing. I’d tell my friends this is the best place for a glimpse of local life and seafood in Phu Quoc.

Hàm Ninh Fishing Town (Làng chài Hàm Ninh) was a bit of a letdown for us. There's really nothing special about it, and it feels more like a place for locals than tourists. The area was quite dirty, and we found it lacking in charm compared to other places on the island. If you're looking for a better experience, I’d recommend heading to the main night market, which offers much nicer things to try. Another downside here was how difficult it was to find a taxi back - be prepared for a bit of a struggle if you visit.
Ihar B — Google review
It's just local village. If you're hoping to walk on the long bridge, located on the coast, you will be disappointed because it's broken at the beginning. There is not much to see in general. The restaaurants on the water is fun attraction though.
Vilma G — Google review
We've been here a couple of weeks back after a long and wobbly ride towards the so-called Starfish beach. Forget about the beach, the people apparently are fishing them out the sea and dropping them on the sand to dry, a shame. But the people from this place seem to be honest about their fishing profession. The fish you order from the menu is freshly made and ready within 10-30 minutes. The price is not steep for the actual plate you are receiving. There's even an "Instagram" photo spot with a chair and a little tree. (If that's your cup of tea) The host was friendly and her husband was the cook and fisherman I think.
Stijn Z — Google review
Original, rustic fishing village. Fresh seafood. Choose your own live prawns, lobsters, fish etc. Terrific young staff very helpful. Very good value too.
MuzzDog — Google review
I found this village particularly dirty and the fish&seafood restaurants overpriced and not very pretty. However towards the end of our trip we found a decent place to eat, local food, which we really enjoyed. What was great about this place is that they served food early in the morning, so we could have some nice breakfast there. Sadly this place doesn’t have their eatery listed on Google, but I will add a picture of it.

It was okay to go and check out but you can tell that it is slack now and there was not much going on, so still worth going to see and plenty of fish options and seafood as well to choose from.

Visited this town on my 1st day arrival for late lunch at Hạnh Nhung Restaurant, 14 minutes drive from the airport , so many seafood restaurant here , price cater for tourist (we were 4 ladies , cost usd35 per person for fresh seafood lunch ) and not local Phu Quốc folks ! Even fruits we bought from the street vendor cost usd25 (Rambutan,Longan,Apple custard , mangosteen )

Starfish Beach, also known as Rach Vem or Starfish Kingdom, is a popular destination for domestic tourists. The beach features a white-sand stretch with calm and clear turquoise waters where you can observe countless bright-red sea stars. It is surrounded by floating fish farms, seafood restaurants, and a fishing village. The shallow waters make it unsuitable for swimming but perfect for observing starfish.
Lovely beach. It might seem like a tourist trap at first because they’ll tell you that you can only reach the beach by boat, but that’s not true, you can walk there as well. If you’re not willing to pay for the boat ride, just walk straight and you’ll get there in about 15 minutes. We also loved the floating Jerry’s Bar, a true gem in paradise with wonderful people. It’s easy to reach, and they can even come pick you up with a paddle. Truly recommend it.
Giada C — Google review
This beach was so polluted it was a shame ! Had to take a boat to get there (d150k), and the few starfish that was there was dead. No wonder as people were picking them up and carrying them around. A shame that people do this just for photos. I thought it would be a great eco/natural setting but not. Pretty sure the locals just keep the dead starfish there for tourists.
EventSmart E — Google review
The beach is small and full of trash along the shore. Most of the starfish are not natural — they were brought from elsewhere just for tourists to take photos. Boat prices are random (we were charged 600K for two people while others paid 250–300K), and even beach chairs cost 50K each. It feels like a tourist trap rather than a real attraction. DO NOT COME!
Harrison W — Google review
Classical tourist trap ,first off the road to the starfish beach is like the Vietnam war ended yesterday, when you get there you’re informed that this isn’t the starfish beach it’s just the first stop and that you have to take a boat(300-400k for 2people) to get to the “real” starfish beach but since you already came all that way on a road that goats would break their necks you agree.👍 Now the boat drops you off at the famous beach where you’ll find half dead and dead starfish that are probably purposefully harvested and just dropped there so people can take photos with them. Overall really wouldn’t recommend this to anyone.
Angela A — Google review
After reading all the comments we debated if its worth going but im glad we went. Last ~2km of the road is gravel, but its not rocky so its safe. After you come to this spot you can park your bike or car and there will be several people offering you the boat to the beach, but theres also a path you can walk, its a bit trashy but its ok, at the end of the road there is a fence you can walk around but you need to take off the shoes, depending on the tide you may need to walk 20-30m on wet ground which is slightly uncomfortable but after that theres a lovely sandy clean beach that is completely free with starfishes that are probably planted there by the locals. The only reason its 4 stars because of the stupid fence. If you're not a princess, take the walk, if youre feeling lazy take the boat, but dont skip.
Evaldas B — Google review
Amazing day out. Taxi driver recommended it. 1 million dong for the boat to take you there and back. Have a seafood hotpot lunch on the jetty when you get back. Just be friendly to the starfish... Look, enjoy and don't touch 😉
Raymond M — Google review
We arrived by bike and walked to the beach (you don’t have to listen to the locals or pay for a boat, there are no fences anywhere). The beach is a bit dirty and overcrowded (go early in the morning before the tourists and tour groups, or after 1:30 pm when they all leave). There’s scam everywhere, but we just ignored it. Other than that, it’s amazing to see so many starfish in one place. They’re quite spiky on top, so be careful when swimming not to step on one.
Natalia H — Google review
It was a good experience. Our boat tickets were 200,000 Vietnamese Dong round trip, but it really was just a matter of taking some photos and splashing in the water. However, the kids seemed to have a lot of fun.

Dinh Cau, also known as Cau Temple, is a small shrine located on a natural rock at Bach Dang Street in Duong Dong Town. Built in 1937 to honor Thien Hau, the goddess of the sea, it is believed to protect fishermen venturing into the open sea.
Very beautiful place of worship here. I’m not religious but I found it peaceful even though there were a lot of people there (mostly tourists) including myself. The view up top was nice even if the sun was hidden in the clouds. Highly recommended

Visited Dinh Cậu, Phu Quoc, and it was such a peaceful spot to spend some quiet time by the sea. The place has a calming vibe, and the strong breeze makes it feel refreshingly alive. The beach nearby is absolutely beautiful, perfect for just sitting back and soaking in the views. The unique architecture and the lighthouse add a special charm to the place, making it even more picturesque. Although the rain made it a bit difficult to explore fully, the serene beauty of Dinh Cậu still stood out. Definitely worth a visit on a clearer day! 🌊💨✨

History museum
Phu Quoc Prison History Museum, a former French colonial prison, was used to detain Vietnam War prisoners. The museum features mannequins depicting the brutal torture methods employed during that time. While about 70% of Phu Quoc is covered in protected forest, the museum stands as a reminder of the destructive impact of war. Visitors are encouraged to approach with emotional detachment due to the graphic nature of exhibits and photographs.
The Phu Quoc Prison History Museum offers a powerful glimpse into Vietnam’s past, with displays and reconstructions that are both educational and thought-provoking. It’s definitely worth a visit if you’re interested in history. Just be sure to avoid going on a very hot day—much of the site is outdoors and can get quite intense in the heat.
Teo N — Google review
It was a memorial place for soldiers of Vietnam. There are 8 shade rooms but many of them were empty. The details are very good if you are interested in history.
Chirag G — Google review
A very thought-provoking museum concept. It is essentially a former concentration camp preserved right in the heart of the city. Entrance is free. A unique and deeply moving place that leaves a lasting emotional impression.
H F — Google review
Visiting Phu Quoc Prison left a deep impression on me. It’s not your typical tourist attraction, but a place where you truly pause and reflect on the horrors humans can inflict on one another. The reconstructions, photos, and stories are confronting and make you think about freedom, humanity, and history. I’m grateful I got to experience this. The museum is a powerful tribute to the resilience of the Vietnamese people. Absolutely worth visiting if you're on Phu Quoc.
Nick — Google review
A shocking yet deeply important historical site that preserves the dark past of Vietnam’s war history. The territory is large and well-organized, with reconstructed prison barracks, torture areas, and life-sized models showing the harsh conditions and cruel treatment prisoners endured. Walking through the museum feels heavy and emotional — the atmosphere is haunting, with detailed exhibits that make you reflect on human cruelty and suffering. It’s not an easy visit, but it’s an essential one. A place for future generations to learn how brutal war can be, and to remember the importance of peace and humanity.
Julia K — Google review
Vietnam's independence day symbolizes the nation's sovereignty. Commemorating the 80th anniversary of the national day of the socialist republic of vietnam.

It is a good place to remind people about War. It is heartbroken when some of the mannequins show the horrible torture ways to the prisoners. There is also a small show room with memorable pictures with information about the history of Phu Quoc Island where it used to be a prisoner island. It is easily missed. It is located behind the worship area.

Island Lodge Phu Quoc is a hidden gem on the stunning island of Phu Quoc, which has transformed from a secret getaway to a vibrant tourist destination. This charming boutique hotel is perfectly positioned amidst lush tropical gardens and boasts breathtaking views of the Gulf of Thailand. Its secluded beachfront location ensures guests enjoy tranquility away from the bustling crowds, making it an ideal retreat for those seeking peace and relaxation.
Relaxing Stay at Island Lodge, Phu Quoc I had a really great stay at Island Lodge on Phu Quoc. The staff was super friendly, always helpful, and made sure we had everything we needed. They were genuinely welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. The location is good – not directly on the beach, but it’s just a short walk away. Plus, you can rent a scooter directly at the lodge if you want to explore more of the island, which was really convenient. One of the best things about this place is how peaceful and quiet it is. If you’re looking for a place to just relax and unwind, this is perfect. It never felt too crowded or noisy, making it ideal for a calm and stress-free stay. I also really loved the pool – it’s beautiful, super clean, and a great spot to cool off or just lounge around. It definitely added to the relaxing atmosphere. The bungalows have a nice tropical feel, and the rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-kept. Everything was just right for a laid-back stay. Overall, Island Lodge is perfect if you’re looking for a quiet and relaxing getaway with great service, a beautiful pool, and a comfortable stay. I’d definitely come back!

Peaceful Retreat with a Surprise Pizza Gem! Eco Land Phú Quốc was the perfect peaceful escape during our time on the island. The setting is tranquil and surrounded by nature – ideal for anyone looking to relax and recharge. The bungalows are thoughtfully designed, clean, and super cozy, with a real eco-friendly vibe that we appreciated. What made our stay even better? The incredible pizza delivery from Midori Restaurant! We weren’t expecting to find such good Western food on the island, but Midori’s pizza was seriously amazing. Thin crust, full of flavor, and delivered straight to our room – it hit the spot after a long day of exploring. Definitely a hidden gem! If you're looking for a nature-friendly place to stay in Phú Quốc with unexpected food perks, Eco Land is the way to go. Highly recommended!

Had a wonderful stay! Stayed for 3 nights with my boyfriend. We payed 810 000 dong/night for a bungalow with pool view (there was other options that were cheaper) and we were so happy. The bungalows were super fresh and beautiful with toilet and shower at the backyard outside. The airconditioning worked perfectly and also the fridge. They had mosquito-nets in every room and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was included were you got to choose from 10-15 different meal-options with 5 different juices to choose from. You could borrow bikes for free and motorbike was only 150000 dong for 24h. Pool was very nice, perfect temperature and super fresh! Had a lovely stay!! You should definitly book and stay at the island lodge. The owners and hosts were very friendly and trustworthy and helped out with everything. Were definitly coming back next year!!! 5/5
Ebba S — Google review
We have never experienced a worse hotel experience. When we first checked in, one of the rooms wasn’t clean. The toilets were yellow, the floor was dirty, there was gecko poop on the bed, the rooms and outdoor toilets smelled very damp. The pool was green and murky, the bottom was not to be seen. There is no safe in the room, and we were robbed. When we reported the incident, the property at first was willing to partially compensate, then they changed their minds and we contacted the police. The police and hotel blamed us for having left our money in the LOCKED room. There wouldn’t have been any problems had there been a safe in the room. The hair dryers were not strong or useful. The breakfast is very limited, every morning it’s two eggs (cooked differently) with the same bread and a drink. There is one noodle option. The plates and cutlery were dirty and didn’t seem to have been cleaned. There is no insulation in the room, so we could hear everything. There are limited food options around the hotel. You must take the taxi to go anywhere. The nearest beach (which isn’t too far away on the map) is hard to access on foot. Most of them have been privatized by hotels along the beach. The rooms were very dark with not much light. Overall, it was not a good experience AT ALL.

Looks like they "modernized" the bridge recently, it's not like on the other pictures anymore. But it is not really Orth getting here. Don't know what did I expect from this place.. In reality it is just extreme pile of rubbish with around zero infrastructure. Island is basically a dump. Literally landfill with locals giving 0 shit about it. Broke my heart walking there. Semi strayed dog barked and growled at me. Very sad to see it :(

It is very far from the town. The view is very beautiful. However, there are not many service near here.
Danh T — Google review
It's an interesting short ride around the small island. The access is via a thin bridge that makes it exciting when riding over. The beach on the easternmost point is nice to chill at or swim a bit, careful with the stones though. The big problem of this place like for a lot of Phu Quoc is the amount of trash everywhere... This is why it's not worth a rating over 3 stars.
Renzo L — Google review
Essentially a fishing community, look out to sea and spot the fish traps, it is not suitable to swim here, there could be fish hooks on the sea bed or discarded fishing net, there is a rickety old wooden bridge crossing the shallow water to an island where you will find jungle, keep to the path as the area could contain unexploded mines, there is a small village community with one general store, you will find intricately carved objects including tables and even Buddah carved from tropical hardwood from the forest, it is not a beautiful place but very interesting, and gives you an insight into the lives of the people living in this small fishing community.

Bà Kèo is a beautiful beach located on the west coast of Phu Quoc, offering a pristine and spacious environment for visitors to enjoy. Unlike some other beaches on the island, Bà Kèo remains relatively clean and free from debris, making it an ideal destination for those seeking a tranquil seaside experience. The calm waters provide a perfect setting for relaxation, while numerous beach bars and restaurants offer great options for refreshments and dining.
Excellent clean beach on the west coast of the island. If the wind and tide is blowing trash on the east beaches (which it was during our time in Phu Quoc) come here as it was spotless. Loads of great relaxing beach bars and some great prices restaurants too.

This is probably the dirtiest beach I have event been to. Filthy, trash everywhere, sewerage everywhere. Maybe it’s because it’s rainy season, but this is very grimm. I don’t dare to let my child play on the beach here because of the things you see in the sand here. Also dead fish everywhere. So that tells me the water is not good.
Deborah W — Google review
The beach has some good restaurants, beach bars and quite nice sections, but seems like those are only kept clean by the respective resorts and bars. Partly questionable to disgusting sewage that flows into the sea. During our stay, the water was never really clear, always somewhat cloudy and greenish. Depending on the current, a lot of garbage was washed up (small plastic particles, styrofoam, fresh+sticky food packaging and large plastic sheets). The beach itself is beautiful, but overall kind of sad when you take a closer look and see the extent of littering.
Hanna — Google review
I am sure it's nicer during high season but when we visited in September 2023 it wasn't great. Sewage & rubbish everywhere. No sun Loungers or beach bars to relax on. We decided to go to Khem beach instead which has to be the best beach on the island, so much nicer.

A large area with a natural garden with a river and waterfall. The waterfall is beautiful, but it is a very rocky path and with jungle. The greenish plants are awesome. Thus is one of the popular places must visit by nature lovers and young generation.
Reveendran V — Google review
A lovely natural park about 9–10 km from Dương Đông town. The entrance ticket is only 30,000 VND, and the area is beautifully maintained with shady forest paths and peaceful surroundings. The stone trekking trail to the main waterfall takes about 15–20 minutes, passing mossy rocks, small streams, and wooden pavilions along the way. The waterfalls are refreshing and suitable for bathing, especially during the rainy season (May–September). Around the entrance, there are wooden-roofed traditional houses and impressive hand-carved furniture and sculptures that add a cultural touch to the park. Overall, Suối Tranh Waterfall is a perfect half-day getaway for anyone who loves nature, light trekking, and quiet green scenery away from the busy beaches.

A great spot to visit during or at the end of the rainy season (which typically lasts from May to October on Phu Quoc) if you’re looking to enjoy refreshing, cool freshwater. The waterfall itself isn’t as spectacular as some others in Southeast Asia, but it offers several pleasant spots where you can comfortably take a dip. The water is clear and refreshing, with plenty of fish swimming around. There’s also a restaurant and a few small attractions in a nicely landscaped park. For an entrance fee of 30,000 VND—including parking—it’s more than worth it. However, be aware: they charge the same entrance fee during the dry season, and you may end up walking all the way there only to find a completely dried-up riverbed.

Wow, I love nature, plants, flowers and trees. So I was just at the right place. Little hiking path with a waterfall. Really nice . They have some sort of bonsai’s but in much bigger pots ! They also have rest area with cantina selling water, beer and sodas. We hiked while it was about 30 degrees Celsius and it was humid as hell but loved it anyway.
Paul G — Google review
At this time of the year, a really beautiful and strong waterfall. The hike up the stream is well maintained and no trash is laying around thanks to the many bin‘s along the way. The swim ag the top was lovely and refreshing! Parking lot available. The park and the garden are really beautiful, green and clean. Definitely worth a visit!!
F. S — Google review
Entry is well priced at 30,000d. Walk through gardens with animal statues and flowers. Gradual incline rock path to the waterfall. About 15-20 mins. Best to wear covered shoes. Gets more humid as you go further up into the foliage. Waterfall is small in comparison to others but a welcome cool relief after the walk. Toilets avail but be prepared with your own paper. Drinks and food for purchase on-site.
Mary-Anne T — Google review
Accessible by the free Vinbus service (Bus route 20), it is around a 10mins short walk after alighting from the bus stop (KDL Suoi Tranh). Entrance fee is 30K per adult and 20K per child as of Oct 2025. The safari displays are eccentric yet traditional. The walk in to the waterfall is a gentle upward slope. Low to moderate level of fitness will get you there. A guide is not needed. Good sturdy footwear is recommended for the uneven stone pathway, although you’ll find tourists and foreigners wearing flip flops. Do mind your steps as the stone pathway is naturally covered with moss which can be quite slippery. Taking a dip to cool off in the stream after the walk is wonderful. Take note in the dry season there might not be much waterfall. There are many bins along the path so you can bring in snacks and drinks, including alcohol, and even have a picnic. Besides the drink shop onsite, there is a big clean toilet with basic shower facilities if you need.
Tiffany A — Google review
Beautiful Park with a lot of artistic features. Animal meets nature meets culture. Then the waterfall was about 10 minute walk and it was so refreshing after a hot humid day around the park. I really recommend bringing your swim suit! November2025

Sailing Club Phú Quốc offers a delightful dining experience with a variety of delicious food and drinks. The menu includes options like flatbread, truffle mac and cheese, seafood fried rice, Asian duck salad, baos, butterfly pea and pandan iced tea, and mango smoothies. The beachside location provides a great atmosphere for enjoying cocktails and craft beers while overlooking the beach. Guests can also enjoy entertainment such as DJ music and fire dancers for an exciting evening.
Afternoon Bliss at Sailing Club, Phu Quoc Island During our holiday on Phu Quoc Island, my husband and I spent a relaxing afternoon at the Sailing Club—a stunning oceanfront venue that perfectly blends tropical charm with laid-back luxury. The club is perched right by the water, offering uninterrupted views of the sea and one of the most breathtaking sunsets we’ve ever seen. As the sun dipped below the horizon, the sky transformed into a canvas of warm hues, making it the perfect backdrop for a chilled drink. The service was friendly and attentive, and the food was good. We were lucky to catch their happy hour, which made the experience even more enjoyable. If you're visiting Phu Quoc and looking for a scenic spot to unwind, Sailing Club is a must-visit. Whether you're there for a sunset cocktail or a leisurely meal, the atmosphere is pure island magic.

Came here for breakfast this morning and was less than pleased. Service was shit. The staff look at you like you don’t belong there. Food was mediocre and ridiculously over priced. Would not recommend! There’s a sign on the table saying that their portions are a big size - complete crap. Paying over 200k VND for simple eggs and toast is absurd - and who serves fries with breakfast? I understand people come here the view but there are so many other options in the area and way better service. Don’t waste your time and money.

Sailing Club Phu Quoc is a fantastic spot to relax and enjoy the beach-club atmosphere. The staff are attentive and friendly, always making sure every guest is comfortable and taken care of. The property is very clean, from the pool area to the seating by the sea. The pool and beachfront areas are perfect for lounging during the day, and the vibrant fire shows in the evening create a memorable atmosphere. It can get busy at peak times, which just shows how popular the place is, but the staff handle it smoothly and keep everything organized. Whether you’re here to hang out by the pool or along the sea, it’s an excellent spot for both relaxation and entertainment.

Wonderful bar with a great pool and happy hour 3-6 and 8-10). Spent many days watching the sunset and enjoying the weather. The cauliflower burger and ceviche are really good. Happy hour drinks are great and there is a fire show every night at 8.

Very chilled, relaxing. Food is excellent, young staff do a great job, views are pretty special as well. If you are there in the evening don't miss the free Fire Show at 8pm.

Loved the vibe at Sailing Beach Club! Delicious food, refreshing drinks, and the best panoramic view over the beach. The fire show adds such a fun and exciting touch to the evening - definitely worth a visit!
Uyen D — Google review
Great spot, one the best beach clubs / pool / food spots in the area especially during the day. We wasn’t staying at the hotel and visited just for one day. Got beach front beds for 3-4 hours then moved to the pool side. No entry fee just 350,000 minimum spend per person. Well worth visiting!
Max S — Google review
The scenery is so beautiful and calm, loved it. I probably missed European style cuisine that much that the chicken mango salad with mustard sauce (it was called chicken avocado smh) tasted simply DIVINE. They have happy hours from 3 pm till 5pm as well (1+1 for some of the drinks like cocktails , mocktails, juices). You would spend at least 400 000k VND here but it is well worth the price. The service is bad though. Have to remind to bring your order.

Nestled within the vibrant Sunset Sanato Resort & Villas, the Sunset Sanato Beach Club is a must-visit destination on Phu Quoc Island. This enchanting spot is celebrated for its breathtaking sunsets, making it one of the most picturesque locations in Vietnam. Guests can indulge in an exquisite Seafood BBQ Buffet that showcases a delightful array of fresh local seafood, all prepared to perfection by skilled chefs.
Sunset Sanato in Phú Quốc is a must-visit check-in spot despite its flaws. This place has clearly been around for a while, and it seems like little has been done to maintain or upgrade the facilities. The ticket booth doesn’t display prices clearly, which can be confusing for first-time visitors. Once inside, I was surprised to see a female DJ standing in the scorching sun for hours, playing loud music non-stop. It felt like she was being grilled under the intense heat like a dried squid. The music was extremely loud and overwhelming, which took away from the romantic vibe you’d expect during a seaside sunset. That said, I still rate this place five stars – not for comfort or service, but for the stunning, dreamlike atmosphere it offers at sunset. The iconic sculptures and art installations along the beach create a magical setting, perfect for photos and peaceful reflection. It’s a rare place where you can let your soul drift with the sunset. However, the public restroom was shockingly dirty and dark – even during the day. The strong odor of old urine and lack of cleaning made it nearly unusable. Fortunately, near the restroom area, there was a juice stand where we found some relief. We had a cold, fresh watermelon juice and a shady spot to relax for a moment. All in all, despite the downsides, Sunset Sanato is still worth visiting for its one-of-a-kind sunset experience.
Lee L — Google review
saw this place on Tiktok and decided to visit for sunset. Bought the tickets at the gate for 90,000 dong per person. Honestly I was disappointed as there was nothing else apart from the structures. It’s mentioned as a beach club but the beach is not clean and it does not qualify to be a beach club. Bean bags provided are dirty. A lot of tourists came just for the pictures with the structures ( trust me there was nothing special about them). Sunset was nice and drinks were decently priced. They have a restaurant as well but we did not try that. DJ was playing loud dancing music during sunset which did not go with the vibe. Overall for me you can skip this place to see a better sunset at some other place. People only come here to click pictures with all the structures.

A very suitable place to spend time with your loved ones..although it is a little bit far from main city but once you reach here ..you will love the place.. It might be nicer during the high season, but at the beginning of November the beach club is not operating and you can actually see that it have seen better days. There is an entrance fee to get to the beach.

Our family had an absolutely unforgettable stay at Sunset Sanato Resort and Villas. The resort's location is a true gem; the sunset views from their beach are simply the most spectacular you will find on Phu Quoc. Beyond the breathtaking scenery, the culinary experience was a highlight. The hand-made pizzas were a delightful treat, and the daily-changing buffet breakfast was consistently fresh and delicious, offering something new to enjoy each morning. What truly made our trip special was the incredible staff. They were genuinely warm and attentive, taking excellent care of our family throughout our entire stay. A special mention and immense gratitude go to Mr. Cuong, the resort manager. His dedication, professionalism, and personal touch made all the difference. He ensured every detail was perfect for our family, and his leadership is clearly reflected in the high-quality service of his team.

Oh, what a delightful experience… if you enjoy paying 90,000 VND pP just to see a beach completely overwhelmed with trash. The entire facility seems to have been left to fend for itself—utterly neglected and poorly maintained. Some areas were genuinely unpleasant, but hey, I’m sure someone finds that “charmingly rustic.” Service was good and friendly.

Long Beach Resort Phu Quoc is a stunning destination that perfectly captures the essence of tropical paradise. Nestled along the renowned Long Beach, which stretches an impressive 20 kilometers, this resort offers chic beachfront accommodations adorned with both modern and antique furnishings. Guests can indulge in refreshing dips at the pools or savor delicious meals at the open-air eatery while enjoying breathtaking views of palm-fringed shores and crystal-clear waters.
Our stay at the Long Beach Resort was wonderful. We really appreciated the unique, historic architecture and the beautiful beachfront location. It offers a very relaxing and distinct atmosphere, and the pools were great. It’s definitely a high-quality place if you want a calm retreat with character. To mix up the relaxation, we highly recommend the food tour with Moto Nomad Phu Quoc. This was the perfect balance to the resort stay! Being guided by locals on the back of a motorbike to hidden spots allowed us to sample truly authentic street food and see the island’s pulse. It was safe, fun, and the food was unbelievable. For anyone staying at Long Beach Resort, make sure to carve out time for the Moto Nomad food tour—it’s the best way to connect with the island's authentic culinary side.

Really lovely place to be! You feel well treated and the place in general is quite, clean, and nice. It's located right to their private beach - can get crowded during the afternoon - which is clean and have excellent swimming options. The rooms are big, clean, and nicely cool. I would definitely come back. Only negative is the food from their restaurant which is a bit boring, but then again, go see the town of you fancy a greater food selection!

+ The beach is beautiful and clean. + The swimming pool is very pleasant. + The ancient rooms and building makes you feel like you stay in a temple. - We had booked an ancient deluxe room. The website where we booked the room displayed photos of a spacious room (duplex, living room, bed room). However our actual room was half the expected size. The staff acknowledged their error but didn't change our room (fully booked). The photos have been wrong on the website for more than two months. - It is clearly overpriced for what we got - Breakfast buffet is below average - They are not enough chairs at the beach and at the swimming pool - The hotel made the seating plan for the new year's eve compulsory dinner. We wanted to seat together with some friends we had made but the hotel denied the change - the staff doesn't really speak English and is not trained. In summary, go somewhere else until the management changes.

Both the room and the bathroom were big. We had a litlle balcony. We were in the new part of the resort, just in front of the breakfast restaurant and a few steps away from the swimming pool. We really liked it! The staff was really helpful! We were there in low season so we were almost for our selv in the resort, we liked it! They had a dinner in the beach with chef. You could choose the food that the chef will make in the grill and will be served in the table in the beach. Really nice! We missed that the hotel had scooter rental, but they showed us where we could rent.

This resort has two sections , an old Antique Village Suite section and a Basic no nonsense no frills section which is great as a getaway on a sandy beach and next to the beautiful deep blue sea. Rooms are clean, staff generally are friendly with good English. There are two very mundane swimming pools and not much else except for the beach The lobby is an old temple, however this is the only artifact on site . The dining area has a huge selection of breakfast food fit for a king
Hudson C — Google review
Airport pickup worked well, it was on time when we came and when we left. Staff was exceptionally helpfull and always making sure that everything was good with us. Two things to complain. Sunbeds were occupied with towels early in morning by greedy tourists. Some towels were laying there for hours and nobody was able to use those beds. I suggest that staff would pickup towels if anybody doesnt use the bed at the moment. The other was that cleaning staff started to work early in morning too loudly. One morning they rang our doorbell just after seven. There were plenty of restaurants and other attractions near by. Hotel's beach was very beautiful. Good place to stay!

Bãi Trường, also known as Long Beach, is a stunning gem on Phu Quoc Island that stretches an impressive 20 kilometers. This beautiful beach features soft sands and serene blue waters, making it a favorite spot for both locals and visitors seeking relaxation or adventure. Whether you want to unwind under the sun or take a refreshing swim in the gentle waves, Bãi Trường offers the perfect setting.
Cozy beach! I really enjoyed it. You can have a chair in one of the resorts or being your own towel. Beautiful calm sandy beach. Sometimes when I swam I felt some stinging like mini bites. Either plankton or something similar. Just good to know cause it was really annoying and uncomfortable.
Athene H — Google review
Nice long narrow beach that was clean. The water is pretty clear and the waves are minimal. There are several resorts and sun loungers for rent on one side and the other is just beach with a resort or two but no sun loungers. There’s a guy selling fresh cut up fruit and other vendors as well. No one harassing you to buy beads and stuff. Parking is free and there are some nicer restaurants right there as well. There were jet ski rentals and massages too. It’s a pretty chill beach to relax and swim. Recommended

Beautiful beach but crowded and like many have noted, lots of trash. There are sand flies as well although not very bothersome. I did manage to walk towards the south part of the island nd find quite secluded dead but sadly very dirty, trashy and not swimmable. There are much better beaches on Phu Quoc Island .

I spent a wonderful day at Bãi Trường Beach on Long Beach, Phu Quoc, and it was a great experience! Unlike some other beaches that are only accessible to resort guests, this beach is very easy to reach and open to everyone. While the beach isn’t particularly wide, which is common on Phu Quoc, there’s still plenty of space to relax. You can rent a beach chair for 70,000 VND, or simply bring your own towel and enjoy the sand. The beach is dotted with palm trees, offering a tropical vibe, and it’s a perfect spot to watch the stunning sunset. Highly recommend visiting if you're in the area!

Beautiful sunsets, but the water is disgusting. Walking along the beach I found at least six open sewer pipes dumping insane amounts of sewage down into the water. Don't go swimming 🥽🤢
Theo — Google review
I went to try to catch a sunrise. No luck there but I did find a really cool swing on a palm that was picturesque. I took beautiful pictures. But the reviews are either lying or oblivious because the trash lined the sand line and it was quite gross. I had to edit so much scattered garbage out of the pictures. Also the water is dismal. Not blue, not clear, not green just kinda brown but the sand is soft as sugar. Softer. It’s just ok. Wasn’t crowded at 6am but it was still many ppl. By midday I’m sure it’s packed.

Airport
Phu Quoc International Airport, also known as PQC, is situated on the southern side of Long Beach, just about nine kilometers from Duong Dong. It's the primary airport serving Phu Quoc Island in southern Vietnam and has been operational since 2012. The airport features separate terminals for international and domestic flights and offers facilities such as currency exchange, local SIM card counters, restaurants, and duty-free shops.
It is a small airport but modern and efficient. Got all the necessary amenities and services. There are some restaurants outside the arrival on ground level. At the departure hall, there are only cafes with some food option. Immigration and security screening are efficient. There are water dispenser after the security near the departure waiting area. Seats are plenty. Toilets are clean and well maintained.
John T — Google review
The arrival process took a long time, especially at immigration. It was quite slow despite not being very crowded. However, the airport layout is very straightforward, so there’s no confusion in finding your way. Everything is well-signed and easy to navigate. On the other hand, the departure process was fast and efficient. Check-in and security were smooth and didn’t take much time at all. Overall, a mixed experience — slow arrival, but quick and easy departure.

Had a really pleasant experience at Phu Quoc International Airport. The entire process, right from arrival to immigration, was smooth and well-organized. The immigration staff were polite, efficient, and helpful, ensuring that everything moved quickly and without confusion. The airport itself is clean, modern, and easy to navigate, which made the whole experience quite comfortable. What stood out was the variety of shops and eateries inside — from souvenirs to snacks and local specialties, everything was reasonably priced compared to many other international airports. It was refreshing to see that shopping here didn’t feel overpriced or overly touristy. The staff at the stores and counters were equally courteous and approachable, adding to the overall pleasant experience. Overall, Phu Quoc International Airport left a great impression — well-managed, traveler-friendly, and the perfect start or end to a tropical island getaway. 🌴🇻🇳

Phu quoc international airport is very small airport , but it's near and functional.During busy hours, you might find a bit of a line at the baggage claim, so a little patience helps. On arrival, taxis are easily available right outside the terminal, very convenient after a long flight. 🚕 However, note that most taxi drivers ask for an additional 12,000 VND as an airport exit fee, which seems to be a standard practice here. The airport facilities are limited and there's definitely room for improvement in terms of space and efficiency.Despite that, the overall experience is smooth, and staff are polite and helpful.A few more amenities and faster baggage handling would make this airport much better. Still, it’s a simple and pleasant entry point to the beautiful island of Phu Quoc. 🌴

Despite being smaller than major international airports, it has all the necessary amenities and a welcoming atmosphere. The staff were professional, friendly, and helpful throughout the entire process. Immigration and security procedures were quick and straightforward, with minimal wait times. The terminal is air-conditioned, with clean restrooms and comfortable seating areas, which made waiting for my flight much more pleasant. There are several shops and cafes offering local products, snacks, and souvenirs at reasonable prices. I especially enjoyed grabbing

Phu Quoc Airport is a small yet charming airport surrounded by lush greenery, making for a beautiful and peaceful atmosphere. Though compact, it has all the essential amenities needed for a comfortable airport experience. It’s simple, clean, and easy to navigate. Our flight was unfortunately delayed by 3 hours, and the check-in counters hadn’t opened yet, so we had some time to explore. We headed to Cherry Blossom Restaurant, located right at the airport—and what a lovely surprise! The ambience was amazing, the decor was eye-catching, and the food was absolutely delicious. We tried the avocado smoothie, chicken banh mi, and egg fried rice—everything was fresh and flavorful. The avocado smoothie especially stood out—so creamy and refreshing! After check-in, we spent some time inside the airport where I grabbed a Vietnamese coffee from a small café. Honestly, it was one of the best cups of coffee I’ve had at an airport—rich, strong, and perfectly balanced. Except for the flight delay, everything else about the experience was smooth and enjoyable. A calm, clean airport with good food options—definitely made the wait better!

Phú Quốc, an inhabited tropical island in Vietnam, is a paradise for those seeking to escape the city and immerse themselves in nature. The island boasts dense jungle and stunning white-sand beaches, making it a dreamy destination for travelers. Families can enjoy quality time together at resorts offering breathtaking pool villas, bespoke services, immersive activities, and dramatic dining destinations.

During our visit to Phu Quoc this time, we took Air Asia and transited via Kuala Lumpur at $380. The total travel time was about 6 hours due to the transit time and slightly longer flight time from Singapore to KL (45 minutes) and from KL to Phu Quoc (1.5 hours). But we have good news! There is now a direct flight from Singapore to Phu Quoc via Scoot and it cuts down the travel time to 1 hr 45 minutes at a lower cost of about $250! To transfer from Phu Quoc International Airport to your hotel, you can use Grab, approach the transfer counter at the airport or use one of these transfer options via Klook. Tip: Do note that prices do surge during school holidays so it is wise to lock in those prices early where possible. We really enjoyed our visit to Phu Quoc island and you can check out our separate review of Phu Quoc: An Island Paradise Waiting to be Discovered on 2bearbear today!

The whole island is basically a scam. false advertisements everywhere, pullotion everywhere. You can see the waste water flowing straight from the restaurant into the sea, the beach is full of trash, the water is so disgusting , you won't want to step into it. they built 2 Theme Parks, which are obviously also a scam. old, not well maintained. restaurant, spa and hotel are all scam because of the false advertisement. You can also see how they are making SoMe content on the street to fake advertise their places. if you go on the cable car, you will see trash in the ocean kilometers away in the sea. All the fishing boats destroying the sea floor. Its just disgusting and sad. and nobody cares, they built a fake kingdom next to the poor and pulloted residential area, the contrast is crazy, it shows how bad organise it is and its all about money from the tourists. nature and the ocean are not in their interests.

Phú Quốc is a place of contrasts. Right now, you can see the aftermath of the real estate boom — half-finished projects and empty streets giving parts of the island a strangely deserted, almost pseudo-European look. But at the same time, the beauty here is undeniable: wide-open views, fresh sea air, and a calmness that’s hard to find elsewhere. The locals I met were warm and friendly, and you can sense the potential in the island’s modern infrastructure. With the right push, I believe Phú Quốc could soon transform into one of Southeast Asia’s must-visit destinations
NH L — Google review
It's the weirdest place I've every been and not in a good way. It's al fake and the locals are pushed away in small villages to make space for empty European looking buildings. The ocean is beautiful, but so full of garbage! Plastic everywhere. Made me cry. In 15 minutes we had a big pile of plastic collection from the ocean. Also on land garbage everywhere, like no one cares. Rats walking around like they are in heaven. Never coming there again and I hope it will turn around, but I'm afraid it's only getting worse.

Visitors praise it as a wonderful place to catch the sunset and appreciate its affordability and beauty.
A beautiful spot to watch sunset on the northwest side of Phu Quoc island. You can find many local beach bar here. Some quite fancy, alternatively just chill on the sand🤗

Vinpearl Resort & Spa Phú Quốc is a luxurious beachfront golf resort offering refined accommodations, a water park, and various dining and bar options. As part of Vinpearl, Vietnam's leading hospitality brand, the resort promises an indulgent stay with stunning beachfront locations, world-class spa facilities, fine dining experiences, and exciting entertainment options. The 5-star hotel features elegant rooms with well-appointed amenities and a spacious pool area with a dedicated section for kids.
Our stay here was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome with their warm hospitality and attentive service. The resort itself is stunning — beautifully maintained gardens, a clean private beach, and a relaxing, tropical atmosphere that instantly puts you in holiday mode. The rooms were spacious, spotless, and well-designed, offering beautiful views and all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. The breakfast buffet was amazing with a wide variety of delicious options — both local Vietnamese dishes and international favorites. There was a one issue that we have faced about drinking water availability. Like one bottle per person of 450ml is not enough throughout the day but this is also solved when we talk regarding this with the reception but this could be the area of improvement atleast 1 ltr per person may be the option. We especially loved spending time by the pool and beach, and the spa experience was top-notch — so peaceful and rejuvenating. The resort also offers convenient access to nearby attractions and VinWonders, making it perfect for both relaxation and exploration. Overall, it was a truly memorable holiday — great service, fantastic food, and beautiful surroundings. Highly recommend Vinpearl Resort & Spa Phu Quoc to anyone looking for a luxurious and relaxing getaway!

Great stay. The reservation comes with airport transfer services and breakfast, both important as you are kind of far from many things. Safari is great and you can easily spend the whole morning there so make use the shuttle service from the hotel lobby (30-minute interval). Breakfast has a good spread and of reasonably good quality. The room is clean, comfortable and spacious. Apart from the distance from the town and other attractions, if you intend to spend most of your time at and around the resort, this is a pretty good option. Might try my luck at the nearby casino.
Novi L — Google review
Truly a slice of paradise! We booked an ocean view room for 2 weeks and the view is truly breathtaking. Looking for a beach front resort with an amazing pool and this resort delivers. Set away from the busy tourist areas, but close enough to visit by bus or taxi. The food service was amazing, local and international cuisine buffets that change daily. However for us, what made this resort standout is the Vinpearls staff, from the moment you arrive into the beautiful lobby, you are greeted by the lovely staff. Special thanks the man that cooked delicious pastas each night, sorry I didn’t get his name, Trân at the breakfast Pho station, welcoming us each morning. The absolute best hostess, morning or night with her beautiful smile and warm conversation is Nguyen Thi Linh Dan. Duc Tri (Galvin) a gentleman and genuinely friendly food and beverage person who we were able to chat to in English. The cleaning staff refreshed our room daily. Bella from management was also so attentive to our needs and request. We look forward to visiting again.
Veronica K — Google review
Beautiful hotel and gardens, lovely comfortable beds, amazing breakfast! The check in smooth, but overwhelming, no information given about different areas, locations, spa, restaurants etc. Drinks too expensive!! Wine the same price as we pay in the UK, small pours, and lack of variety (when we had dinner in the Beach Cafe they actually had NO white wine to offer). Cocktails didn't pack a punch. This led us to spend our money outside of the resort, which was a shame as the terrace and cafe were lovely. Please, this is a beach resort!! More sun beds needed!!!!! We never once managed to sit around the pool as not enough places. The only way to enjoy the beach was for one of us to go down early 6:30 am to sit on a sun bed until the other one got up. This meant we could never breakfast together. We don't think it's right to put towels on sunbeds (in some cases all day) and leave them empty. Your hotel has so much to offer, but we wouldn't recommend to our English friends and family for the reasons mentioned above.
LL R — Google review
I believe most of the positive reviews are not genuine. This hotel is far away from a western standard 5 stars (you could get a hint from the price). The only reason we stayed here was to be able to use the golf but you can just walk in from any other hotel. Compared to other hotels we’ve visited during our Vietnam trip the staff is nowhere near as nice and helpful and barely speaks any English. This hotel is catered for rude and obnoxious Russians (but so is this whole island) who run to reserve their sunbeds at 7am. Therefore there were no available sunbeds if you came later, both at the pool and beach. But also that’s the hotel’s fault for allowing that. Nor are drinks brought to your sunbed. Sadly these were the last few days in Vietnam and this hotel ruined it. The only thing we enjoyed was the bar at sunset. My advice spend a few dollars more and go somewhere else.

I highly recommend this resort if you are intend to visiting the north of Phu Quoc. 1. reasonable price 2. easy to reach out the market by a car in 5min. 3. working fast 4. good room service but the breakfast is little bit simple.

Muhammadiyor S — Google review
The hotel is nice, with a good beach and great facilities. However, the service could be improved — the staff were a bit slow. We also tried the dinner buffet; it was okay, but not impressive. What surprised us is that drinks are not included. I understand alcoholic beverages being extra, but not even soft drinks like cola or juice are provided. This definitely doesn’t feel like the standard of a 5-star hotel

Relaxing Stay with an Exciting Tour We had a fantastic time at this resort. The property is beautiful and well-maintained, with a stunning swimming pool and direct access to a clean beach. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and had a lovely view of the ocean. The staff were all very friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. While we enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere of the resort, we also wanted to explore the island. We decided to join a tour with Moto Nomad Phu Quoc and it was an absolute highlight of our trip. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and took us to some amazing hidden spots—waterfalls, local villages, and a pepper farm that we never would have found on our own. It was a perfect blend of relaxation at the resort and adventure on the island. The food at the resort's restaurant was excellent, with a great variety of both local and international dishes. We also loved the cocktails at the beach bar while watching the sunset. We highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a comfortable stay with the option to easily book an unforgettable tour.

The area provides picturesque backdrops for memorable photos and a bustling atmosphere. Visitors can enjoy combo tickets for great benefits and better deals on destinations within the center. The European-themed place is quite far from the city center but worth visiting for boat rides and light sound shows at night.
We have been here two days and its been wonderful, relaxing. We seem to have beaten the crowds each morning. We're early risers and have taken wonderful long walks up Long Beach. The whole place seems to come alive after 2pm, so if you're after less crowds and friendly locals I highly recommend the trip.

Grand World Phu Quoc is truly a spectacular destination, a place that feels like stepping into a dream! 🌟 The entire area is beautifully designed with vibrant streets, colorful buildings, and a perfect mix of culture, entertainment, and charm. From the Venice-style canal rides to the nightly light shows, every corner has something magical to offer. The atmosphere is lively yet elegant, making it ideal for families, couples, and solo travelers alike. There are plenty of cafes, restaurants, and shops, and everything is clean, well-organized, and picture-perfect for photos. The Grand World night vibe is simply mesmerizing with music, lights, and energy all around! Grand World is a vibrant and beautifully designed destination with so much to see and enjoy — from its charming architecture and lively streets to the lovely canal rides and colorful photo spots. There is a beautiful bamboo structure where you can click photos. The teddy bear museum is fun especially for kids. There are many juice stalls, n resturants serving various cuisines. There are some good brands that have their outlets there. One needs atleast 3 to 4 hours to roam around. We had a wonderful time exploring the area, but unfortunately, the rains cut our visit short and we had to head back earlier than planned. Would definitely love to return in better weather to experience more of what it has to offer.”
Neha K — Google review
It looks glamorous on the surface, but it's only skin deep. On the up side the gondola rides are cheaper than Venice or Las Vegas. The place was dead during the day. Almost nothing was open and we didn't see more than a few dozen people walking around the whole site. It may come alive at night.
William C — Google review
Visiting Grand World Phu Quoc was a mixed experience. The canal buildings and gondola ride are visually appealing, and the nightly light & fountain show at Sea Square is impressive. However, the area felt underwhelming at times, with empty shops and limited choices for food and souvenirs. The humidity made walking around less comfortable, especially in the afternoon. There are some nice spots for photos and a casual stroll. Worth visiting if you want a mix of entertainment and sightseeing, but manage your expectations.
Noel M — Google review
It's just made for tourist not much value to it. People say right it's like a ghost town. But still it is liit in the evening so I think you ideally go around 5-6 PM and enjoy the ride if you can get the gandola ride or you can just walk and explore. There is a show around 6 pm which is a small show and a major show on love story around 9:30 PM.
Mallika S — Google review
Nice place, but nothing to do for more than 2-3 hours besides eating😜 lots of cafes and Indian restaurants are there (Jain food too). I found boat taxi very average, not value for money (if your wife insist just do a one way trip). Night 9.30 pm show was good. At the end of the area there is a nice and clean beach, must enjoy sunset there.
Rahul S — Google review
It's such a happening place. I was as if transported to another world. The chilled Venice vibes, the gondola ride, the massages, the nail arts, interacting with the locals, just sauntering around, watching the show at 9.30 pm...... everything was enjoyable. The Bamboo Legend is an important landmark of the place. It represents the country's culture. The flower park next to it is also worth visiting. Every frame is click worthy. Tou just cannot get a bad background for your photos.

Absolutely amazing, probably our favorite beach in Phu Quoc. Spacious, clean (really clean), there are coconut trees giving you a nice shade to hide under, sunset is beautiful and I cannot emphasize enough how clean it is 🥰 The only issue is that there are not too many options around to grab a bite, but other than that we really enjoyed our day on this beach

Beautiful beach, sunset, and super clean sands! Safe for little kids to roam around. Saw a lot of negative reviews about beach access. Just go pay up the resorts! It is possible to have a beach kept so clean for children because of the limited access; there is absolutely nothing wrong with it.

Nice beach in Northern Phu Quoc Island. Although a public beach, it’s hard for any to visit that isn’t staying at the resorts nearby. But it is very clean, relaxing and quiet. Very swimmable very adults and children. Not too many boats or jet skis so it’s quiet.
Brian S — Google review
It all looked good on the menu. Steak was cold. The Vietnamese food was good. Crepes Suzette despite being described correctly in the menu wasn't what was described it was just Crepes with seasonal fruit. The concept of entre followed by mains seemed foreign and dishes just came out when they were ready.
Paul B — Google review
Unfortunately, gone are the glorious days of exploring and discovering the natural beauty of Phu Quoc Island, now that the big corporations have set up camp with their over pretentious resorts and unnatural golf courses. These places now turn the naturally beautiful beaches into private, no access (unless guests) places of exclusivity pandering for the indulgences of the rich or elite, fly-in / fly-out tourism trade. The once inclusive beautiful beach here, has fallen into this category where if you're not a hotel guest you are not welcome and will be considered as a trespasser. You will either be blocked by the Vinpearl security guards or escorted off the property - no exceptions. This scenario is becoming ever prevalent across the entire island either from large resorts through to the smaller boutique types. All wanting beachside privacy at the exclusion of non-guests, essentially taking control and credit for something that nature actually created. There doesn't seem to be any vision of a harmonic balance from either the corporations, investors and the provincial government, where cash is now king of the island. 😔😔
Phuckyu G — Google review
This is a beautiful sandy beach the sand is actually really clean because the hotels take the time to clean any trash off the beach. Which is really a wonderful thing to do for the environment there is not a whole lot to do on the beach other than stroll or build Sandcastle’s waters a bit cold there are a few bars if you walk along drinks are about 150,000 VND

The bungalows look pretty nice I hope customers will come again to experience this beautiful part of the island.

It was an unforgettable vacation! Upon arrival, we were offered refreshing drinks and snacks at the bar. After checking in, we were given a tour of the hotel, and I was amazed by its size: numerous restaurants, an amusement park, and more—all located within the grounds of Melia Phu Quoc. Because of the large territory, getting around requires either a buggy or a bicycle, which can be rented for free. I’d also like to mention that the staff were very polite and friendly, although not all of them spoke English fluently, which was a bit inconvenient. The food itself was delicious and healthy, offering a wide variety of seafood, cheeses, fruits, soups, and ice cream. Regarding the gym, it doesn’t have every piece of equipment, but in my opinion, it’s enough to maintain your fitness for a few weeks. Lastly, I’d like to highlight that we received a villa upgrade as a complimentary gesture upon arrival, which really showcases the hotel’s high standards.

*Disappointing Experience at Vinpearl Resort Coral Wing* I recently stayed at the Vinpearl Resort Coral Wing in Vietnam, which is known for its luxurious amenities and stunning location. While the resort itself is beautiful, my experience was marred by the poor service at the reception. The receptionists seemed completely uninterested in helping us with our queries. When we approached them with a question, they would barely acknowledge us, let alone provide a helpful response. What was even more frustrating was that they would often laugh and chat among themselves, completely ignoring our presence. As guests, it's reasonable to expect a certain level of service and courtesy from the staff, especially at a high-end resort like Vinpearl. Unfortunately, the receptionists at the Coral Wing fell short of these expectations. Their lack of cooperation and unprofessional behavior was not only disappointing but also made us question the hotel's commitment to customer satisfaction. It's surprising to see such a stark contrast between the hotel's luxurious amenities and the poor service at the reception. One would expect a hotel of this caliber to have well-trained staff who are attentive and courteous to guests. Instead, the receptionists seemed more interested in their own conversations than in helping us. Overall, while the Vinpearl Resort Coral Wing has its strengths, the poor service at the reception was a major letdown. With a bit more attention to staff training and customer service, this hotel could truly live up to its potential. *Rating:* 2/5 stars *Recommendation:* While the hotel itself is lovely, I would advise potential guests to be prepared for poor service at the reception. Perhaps a bit of feedback to the management could help improve the situation.

pretty nice experience! the weather wasn't so good the day i arrived. had to wait a long time for room service because my shower head is broken. we had to call 3-4 times until someone came, bad management from the calling line. other than that, staff was helpful and friendly! recommend

Scenic spot
Ganh Dau view point is a popular destination on Phu Quoc Island, offering various hiking trails for different levels of experience. The Ganh Dau trail is known for its ancient trees and flat terrain, while the Ham Ninh mountain trail provides a vantage viewpoint of the ocean. The cape boasts beautiful and peaceful beaches with fresh air, white sand, and unspoiled nature.
Ganh Dau Cape is also one of the most beautiful places in Phu Quoc, but it is marked by the wild beauty and many secrets of majestic nature. When you arrive here, you will probably have to be immersed in an extremely green space. The crescent-shaped beach embraces the surrounding trees. The white sandy beach shimmered under the sunshine, as if you could light yourself into it and forget all sorrow.Located in the position which no one expected so it will give you guys a new perspective. Here, you can see through Cambodia, rent a small boat to go out to 2 small islands nearby.
Alex N — Google review
It's a very simple area that has a great view of Cambodia and its islands. Snorkeling, kayaking, and SUP hire is available there so use them as they have great reviews. DO NOT HIRE a local for a boat trip, they will definitely try and rip you off. They will offer a 1 hour tour and try to bring you back quickly without seeing much at all. They are asking 500k for one hour. Save your money for a reputable tour and you'll be much happier and you'll create good memories. If you see someone offering you the blue boat in the picture below do not go on it as they can't be trusted.
Paul M — Google review
Disappointing beach unfortunately. Both the sand and water were filled with litter. The view of Cambodia is awesome but I wouldn’t recommend spending time at the beach itself or swimming there. Not much to see when snorkeling either, just plastic, broken fishing nets and very few fish sadly. Not worth the long drive out of town!

Hidden gem. A little tricky to be found. Visit Nam Phuong resort and ask reception the way to go to restaurant. Good view for sunset

It's a beautiful sandy beach with beautiful coconut trees, the only problem is that it's a constant stream of jet skis pulling parachutes to pull buoys to go for walks. Well, it doesn't stop, it's noisy and it stinks of gasoline.

The area retains its natural charm, untouched by excessive human development, making it an ideal spot for those looking to unwind and soak up the beauty of nature.
Another private beach. Next holiday, won't be to Vietnam.
Andreas O — Google review
All the best beaches in Vietnam are private, same as this one. Don't try to go here, they will turn you back. I hate this attitude, go to Thailand instead, they don't have private beaches and neither they have tons of plastic waste washed out on shores.
Martin K — Google review
no access! one reason why Vietnam fall way behind Thailand in tourism. You are at an island but can't see the sea or access the beaches. You would assume to walk on a beach road, enjoy the sunset... no, the best places are private :( this island fail in comparing to Phuket, Kho Samui, kho phangan. and attractions + taxi are way to overpriced.
Dexter M — Google review
No access to the beach!! The Premier village got hold of the beach and you can only get in if you pay!!! The road behind the beach is also no-enter zone because it’s now occupied by the military!!
Lara J — Google review
Don't try to get here because it's not accessible. U'll face the navy army and then they'll guide u to the gate of JW marriot then u end up at Bai Khem which is only accessible this time because of the construction (after they finish it then the beach will be only for their customers staying in resorts). The navy solder also said that u could come here by boat or cano (there was also a local guy followed us trying to sell his service, i had to lie him that we didn't try to get here so he could stop inviting, that was a lil bit pressure and scared for me denying services in touristic places like this). After all, i think the beach is only for the navy army and the locals who live around this area cause i saw some locals getting off their bike and went through the gate of the army.
Linh N — Google review
Tried to get there by bus but it was impossible to reach the beach. Bus from Dong to An Thoi. On Google Maps the main road is an entrance to a military camp or somethinf; expect to reach some guys with big guns.

This pristine beach offers a serene atmosphere and breathtaking views of the sea. Accessible via a cable car from An Thoi port, it's an ideal spot for families to enjoy. Visitors can indulge in the turquoise waters and take in the beautiful scenery, including views of Cambodia's Ta Lon mountain.
I explored a quiet beach in Phu Quoc island on the other side where I could see Cambodia in the distance. I saw Bokor Mountain, but it was too cloudy to see clearly. The beach wasn’t very clean, but the peaceful vibe made up for it. Riding the scooter there and having the place all to myself was a cool experience.

(Translated by Google) According to my research, Thom beach used to be a very busy beach. However, due to the airport, tourists no longer take the ferry, so tourism here is no longer developed and has become quite deserted (the beach is quite far from the airport as well as the central area of PW). Currently it is 11/2025, hopefully in the future it will be re-planned, in fact the beach is quite beautiful if cleaned up.

(Translated by Google) It's just sad how something like this can get so dirty. No matter where you stop on the island, unless it's a resort, you can forget about it. You constantly see young people simply dropping their bottles and other items on the side of the road or on the beach.
