One of the best Lebanese restaurants I’ve had! Beautiful presentation and amazing flavors. I’ve tried many Lebanese spots across the US, but this is the only place with a perfect tabbouleh! Fresh, balanced, and authentic. The grape leaves were delicious too, but strangely both dishes weren’t listed on the menu (thankfully we asked the waiter, who was super friendly and helpful). Great vibes, great food, highly recommend!

The place was really nice. The architecture was really nice and it felt very cool. The food was incredible and I went with my friend and asked for two different plates and shared and it was more than enough. Although this may vary and will depend on how hungry you are. The he prices were fine and the staff extremely kind!

Already looking forward to my next visit! The Lebanese cuisine was bursting with flavor and beautifully prepared. The grilled octopus and mixed grill are absolute must tries. You can really taste the depth of spices in the beef shish and chicken kebab everything was incredibly fresh. The drinks were crisp and refreshing, rounding out a fantastic meal. Highly recommended!

Great looking, lively space with a great bar and plenty of room in the dining rooms, but it gets crowded. Nice wine list, both by the glass at the bar as well as bottles in the dining room with a knowledgeable Somm. Lebanese wines are featured as well as a nice selection of French wines. Large menu and everything our group had was excellent. Tuna tartare and the lamb chops really stood out for me. Nice dessert selection. Happening place right now and it seems for good reason.

We went during restaurant week. The vibe was great, and the food overall was nice. We weren’t a huge fan of lamb and I didn’t really enjoy the entrees, but the appetizers were amazing (especially the eggplant). The dessert cheesecake had a strong cheese flavor, which I liked, but the mouhalabiyyeh was just okay

This place is absolutely phenomenal! The hummus, tabbouleh, and kebab kezar were all so flavorful, and the spicy sumac margarita was incredible. The pita bread was warm, soft, and delicious and they even brought out a fresh plate with dinner. Everything was just perfect from start to finish!

The beef shawarma had a single piece of hard fat that was too large to be eaten. The meat was overcooked and dry. The manager said that it was normal for fat to come out because the meat and fat were cooked at the same time. The other dishes were also mediocre in taste, but the service was good. I gave 3 stars instead of 1 because the manager did not charge for dessert.

Overall I love the vibe here. They even have a patio space. I was in the neighborhood and decided to stop by for some food. Pita Sandwich, highly recommended. Amazing flavor generous portion and it comes with a fresh salad. Honestly I think it tastes even better than the hummus. Salmon Benedict, would not recommend. The flavors felt a bit off and I actually found small bones in the fish which made it hard to enjoy especially with the potatoes. It could definitely be executed in a more flavorful and refined way.

Sometimes the best dining experiences happen by chance. We didn’t have a reservation, but thanks to a last-minute no-show, we were seated right away — lucky doesn’t even begin to cover it. The evening started with a glass of blanc de blanc, crisp and celebratory, setting just the right tone. The food exceeded expectations: a melt-off-the-bone lamb shank served with perfectly seasoned rice, and a beautifully prepared duck confit, rich and satisfying without being overwhelming. Both dishes balanced comfort with refinement. Service was smooth and attentive, never rushed, and the atmosphere added to the sense that we had stumbled into something special. What could have been an ordinary night turned into one of those meals you remember for all the right reasons.

Incredible food and unreliable service The host and first server were rude to our friend who arrived before us. We had a couple other servers stop by to fill water, take orders, or ask about dessert. Walking distance from a hotel we are staying. We had Moroccan egg plate , falafel, Greek salad, Turkish coffee and Moroccan tea. Everything was outstanding. Our server Pedro was very attentive and friendly. He gave a great suggestion as well as other places in town.

Stopped by chance late in the afternoon on a holiday. The interior is a unique mix of antique and modern touches, which made it fun to look around, and the back terrace area with all the plants had a really natural vibe. I was excited to see the brunch and lunch menu since there were so many dishes that looked like my style, but since we arrived close to 4pm, only the dinner menu was available. We each ordered a wine and a beer, and shared the Mixed Grill. Even though I don’t usually like sausage, everything—including the sausage—was really tasty. I didn’t get to try much this time, but I’m definitely coming back for brunch or lunch next time!

Great spot to grab breakfast and lunch. Plenty of space to fit a large group. The chicken pita was delicious however the chips wasn’t crispy.

We were starving coming out of the bathhouse and decided to dine here. The Haloumi Cheese first bite brought us to heaven, followed by an insane couscous chicken. That Casablanca black sour slightly sweet sauce was the best. Humus with nan wrapped up a wonderful anniversary evening for us in the garden.

Said to be the best Falafel in New York and it certainly did not disappoint. I am not too much of a fan of falafel, but this is pretty good. The sauce is a little bit too sour to my taste.

Been coming to this location for many years. Absolutely delicious food and the atmosphere brings back great memories. But lately I have noticed things are definitely changing. They got rid of their original homemade lentil soup. They now serve some ready made soup instead. Definitely not the same experience. Last time I was there, they were all out of shawarma and lamb kebab. They only had falafel, kofta and chicken kebab, at 9pm! I’ve been to this place hundreds if not thousands of times, never have I seen them be out of any kind of dish. It’s not the end of the world but when you take a long trip for over an hour to grab some good old shawarma sandwiches just to find out that they’re all out, it’s disappointing. I have been to some of their other locations but nothing beats an original location. I hope they bring back some of the old experience and continue to keep this place great as it always has been.

Wow, this place was amazing. The shawarma had the perfect balance of perfectly seasoned meat and refreshing vegetables. The falafel was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Their menu offers great quality at very affordable prices. Just a heads-up, they only take cash, so come prepared

Excellent falafel shop near Washington Square Park with generous servings for the price. Outdoor seating on a classic Village street makes it a great stop for falafel.

Straight up solid falafel and shawarma pitas. The falafel is light and delicious and the shawarma is browned and savory. Hummus is smooth as butter. Hot peppers, spice, tahini makes the flavor POP. 1 or 1 tables inside, so be prepared to sit outside at one of their covered tables.

Order a shawarma, just the sandwich. Taste was outstanding, service kind and fast. Can’t see how you’d go here and be disappointed.

I have been to so many middle eastern restaurants and I was born and raised in the Middle East!! This restaurant DID NOT taste good at all!! I grew up eating middle eastern food and this was a disappointment. They didn’t have authentic food that I was hoping for and the worst part was everything had to be ordered separately. Hummus and bread and rice in any middle eastern restaurant is given for free. It’s a part of the meal. Here we had to order separately. My kids wanted regular lemonade but the waiter was like no there is only mint frozen one. The prizes on these were outrageous too. It’s one thing if your food is good but when it’s not and you charge a lot it’s just not worth it. I really do not know how they got these ratings! I will never recommend this place to anyone. Very disappointing

Great food, had 7:30 pm reservation and it was not too busy. By the time we left it was packed, later night restaurant. Had lots of small plates such as hummus n pita, fried cheese covered in honey, a salad and all the sauces. Beer was Lebanese served with lemon and salted rim of glass which was PERFECT and a first for me. The meal was the small platter which was all flavorful and well cooked. Would certainly return, service was good as everyone works as a team.

5/5 stars! It was our first time trying Lebanese food and our server Ivan was amazing and walked us through the entire menu, sharing the most popular dishes and his personal favorites. He was on top of his service, constantly checking in on us and asking if we were ok. A fellow female server, I don't have her name, but she was also refilling our waters and offering help whenever we needed. The food was amazing, especially the Lamb Shank and spicy hummus. AMAZING experience! The host, and server experience was top notch. They make you feel special. My husband has been here once before and he was excited to take me, I didn't have much of an expectation but they blew me away! My only point is who expensive they are but no stars taken away for that. Food comes out fresh, and I appreciate that they tell you it will take maybe even 30min to come. So I was well prepared and not asking questions. They ask you if you'd like appetizers meanwhile. I just always love transparency. We ordered the platter, and it didn't fill us enough so we ordered a second platter too. Thank u for a great experience, I would love to come back!!

Like it’s decent. Got in on a Friday at 7pm without a reservation. The mezze are much larger than they let on. They said order 2 per person. We ordered 0.6/person (2 mezze for 3 people) and we were literally full. They really need to give you more bread for the mezze/dips. I liked the pickles and radish and sauces that came with the mezze. The hummus with lamb was really solid. The dip with pomegranate was pretty good. Outdoor and indoor seating.

Favorite Lebanese restaurant in NYC hands down! Their halloumi beets salad is so fresh. Their classic shawarma tower & fries is a must for anyone wanting to taste the Lebanese shawarma without having to go to Lebanon.

From beginning to end, our experience at this restaurant was a mess. We had an 8:30 PM reservation but were told to wait outside because our table wasn’t ready. We weren’t seated until almost 9 PM 30 minutes late because the previous guests hadn’t left yet. Honestly, what’s the point of making a reservation if they can’t honor it? Once inside, the atmosphere was off. There was bugs on the walls, which was really unsettling and made it hard to feel comfortable. Then came the food… or should I say, the lack of flavor. Everything tasted bland, like they forgot the salt and seasoning altogether. And for how expensive it was, I expected much better quality. Overall, I wouldn’t go back. Disappointing on every level.

It was my first time Persian meal. From the moment we walked in, the hostess welcomed us with a genuine smile and seated us right away. The staff was attentive, always making sure we had water and checking in at the perfect times, creating a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. I ordered the dark meat chicken kebabs, which came with half zeresh rice and half grill vegetables — the spices were incredible and the portion was generous. To finish, we shared Persian ice cream, baklava, and special Persian tea, which was the perfect sweet ending to the meal. Between the delicious food and the thoughtful service!!!, I would gladly return to this restaurant again! See you soon!

The place is overpriced for the quality and quantity of food you get. We went there on Saturday night - worst time. The kitchen was overwhelmed. The service was marginal. Overall not impressed….. they added 20% service charge. Candidly, they don’t deserve 1% The restaurant management is dysfunctional. They need to do better job managing reservations and add Real Persians food items….. humus is NOT

If you enjoy exploring different cuisines, Persian cuisine should definitely be on your list. I’d recommend ordering the meat medium, and the rice options are generally quite well done. In my opinion, this place is the right address for some of the best Persian food in town! Chef’s recommendation!!you won’t regret it!

I was in Manhattan for business and had dinner at Ravagh Persian Grill. I ordered the barg kabab with mast-o-mosir, and it was outstanding the meat was tender, flavorful, and easily one of the best I’ve had. The side rice was perfectly cooked and the yogurt dip added a nice balance. The restaurant itself is very clean and has a comfortable, slightly upscale feel without being over the top. Service was smooth and the food came out fresh. Portions are generous, and you can tell everything is prepared with care. If you’re in the city and craving authentic Persian food, Ravagh is definitely worth a visit. I’ll be back on my next trip to Manhattan.

Pricy but very nice Barg Kabab, and chicken Shish kababs. Maybe one of best. Koobideh was not that good ( has zireh spice in it). Kashke bademjan was delicious too Also their faloodeh and baklavas are super delicious Kudos to the management for professional training of staff and their spectacular service

First time here after hearing great things about this place from colleagues. The food was very gratifying, and the service was excellent! We ordered Stuffed Pepper, Chicken Sutalni and Lamb Shank. The sauces in Stuffed Pepper and Lamb Shank were flavorful yet light -- they didn't leave us feeling heavy or thirsty. The meat in all three dishes were tender and juicy. We also tried the chocolate lava cake - delightfully delicious without being overly sweet! The staff and the manager, Moises, were very attentive and hospitable! Definitely a place we'd come back to again!

Mixed grill was delicious 10/10. Service was nice. Greeted by someone at door maybe manager or owner, really friendly and answered all questions. Great hospitality. Would be my regular spot if i lived in nyc!

We started with the classic mezes like hummus and baba ganoush, both bursting with flavor and perfectly paired with warm, freshly baked pita. For the main course, I highly recommend the Mantı; tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Also Kebabs are amazing, so fresh so good. What really stood out to me was the hospitality here, you will not only have a food but unforgettable experience. And the Turkish tea! That was the perfect ending to the night. Overall, SipSak offers an authentic taste of Turkey right in New York City, and I’ll definitely be back for more. Highly recommend to anyone craving delicious Turkish flavors in a cozy setting!

Delicious and authentic Turkish restaurant (confirmed by our friends from Turkey). Our favorites were Mixed Grill where the kebabs were so tender and almond pudding which is flavorful. Food came out quick and server was attentive. Will think of this place first next time we crave delicious meat and Turkish food!

Great place with warm Turkish hospitality and great prices in the City! I've been brought to the place by a friend. Haven't regretted a second. Amazing delicious food, tasty Lentil Soup, great service! I think many agree that dining in the City can be costy at times... Well, this is a place where everyone can find a good dish for a good price tag. Special thanks to the manager who was so attentive to all the tables and customers. To me personally, such behavior means a lot. Will definitely return and highly recommend the place to anyone traveling, working, or leaving around.

Friendly and attentive service. The food was delicious and came out very quickly. I loved everything I got. The roll borak were the underdog, despite being fried they were right and had a distinct flavor. Charming retro Midtown atmosphere. Good for large and small groups, though it gets loud when it's full.

The waiter was amazing and patient describing every dish. Everything was amazing and unlike anything I have ever eaten. I would come back again and again if I lived even remotely close. I would recommend coming with a group so you can try a little of everything. The pita bread and labne will ruin me for life at any other restaurant. You think I’m being dramatic, I’m not. Go!

I've been wanting to try Shuka for a while, and I finally got the chance! We decided to go all in with the Shuka Feast, and it was absolutely worth it--delicious and plentiful. Here are some highlights: The fried halloumi, a semi-sweet fried cheese, was incredible--an instant favorite. Among the dips, the labne with tangerine and honey and the squash moutabel stood out as top-notch. The turmeric rice was a standout too, packed with flavor from cranberries and fried onions--I couldn't get enough of it! The Niman Ranch sirloin steak, while slightly tough and chewy, delivered fantastic flavor, and the grilled lamb was another solid choice. The za'atar fries were tasty, and we also tried the spit-roasted chicken shawarma. While the chicken was juicy, it didn't quite win me over and could've been skipped. Service was excellent--attentive and welcoming. Overall, the food was really good, and I'd definitely return. Highly recommend! :)

My cousins own shuka but I promise I’m not being biased! The atmosphere and vibes couldn’t have been better. I love sitting in the window during beautiful weather because they open it up and it’s indoor/outdoor dining. The Turkish coffee… TO DIE FOR. I’m not a big coffee drinker but this coffee was so delicious it didn’t even need milk. It had the perfect cinnamon taste I drank it black. We got the hummus which was obviously delicious. The shwarma is mouthwatering. The wait staff was incredible. Told them I have a dairy allergy and she actually walked through the entire menu with me circling the things I could eat. She never once made it feel like a burden I couldn’t eat dairy. Overall amazing experience and If you are ever in the area check them out!!

Wonderful time here! Many great vegetarian options to choose from. Our server was so kind and welcoming and every dish was delicious. Excited to come back and try more seasonal dishes.

Shuka is located in SOHO which is a great area to walk around in before or after a meal. We had reservations ( they were packed on a weekend) and our server Luis was excellent at offering suggestions. We had a party of four people and tried two non alcoholic drinks, the blueberry mint smash and jasmine plum fizz ($10 each) which were really good. I loved the atmosphere inside with all the twinkle lights. We shared the hummus, the crispy squash blossoms and the roasted peaches to start with, my favorite was the squash blossoms. Then we tried three different kebabs, the chicken, the Merguez and the arctic char. My favorite of those was the arctic char. We enjoyed our dinner and I think the only negative is that it's pricey for the amount of food you get. Our total bill came to $177 without the tip.

Been here many times and food is always so delicious! Highly recommend. Spacious restaurant and airy, outdoor seating for spring. Food: Consistently delicious. This time we got two dips and the Fattoush Salad- good portions sizes and filling. Service: Usually a bit slow, but not an issue since usually we come here to hang out. I wouldn’t go here if you’re trying to get in and out though- their staff seem to be slim for all the tables they need to wait on. Atmosphere: Excellent. Good seating options for small groups or big groups. Indoor and outdoor options available too. This place always gets packed though so go during off times or put in a reservation.

Urban Israeli Take Out Quick and easy shawarma or pita on the go. It's rapid, it's urban. That's pretty much it. Pita breads are soft and delicious. Eggplants pita is decent. Falafel pita is fresh. Hand cut fries are good but they add way too much salt. Store is on a small size with limited seating. Great corner location with high visibility and foot traffic.

I walked by Taim and decided to try the eggplant salad — it was the best experience ever! The cashiers were very helpful and super friendly, and it was great to see them make my plate right in front of me. The toppings were absolutely delicious. 💯 I’ll definitely be recommending this place to everyone!

I visited twice for their famous falafel, and it did not disappoint! The hummus is rich in flavor and pairs perfectly with the dish. The spiciness is mild and manageable, leaving you completely satisfied.

Tasty food for a Mediterranean cuisine, the Greek salad was very fresh and the falafels were delicious. Great spot for a quick lunch, with fast service the staff were very nice and friendly. Shoutout to Scottie and Vilma and the whole Nolita team they are the best! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

Needed something healthy after a flight to NYC and was recommended Taim. Their bowls are generously sized and packed with goodness. I loved the eggplant, but the falafel was a disappointment—it was overly fried and coated in oil. The ginger lime drink tasted more like sugar than anything else. On the bright side, the portions were decent, the hummus was tasty, and everything else I tried, including the baklava, was very good. Not sure if I’d order from here again, especially with options like Sweetgreen nearby, but I’m open to giving it another chance.

I ate here recently for both my father’s and daughter’s combined birthday. It was a large family gathering and we all had the $55 prix fixe menu. There was just so much delicious food. It started with a mixed mezze with salads, baba ghanoush, stuffed dolma, hummus etc. Then there were fantastic lamb and chicken kabobs, diced deep fried liver (so good) and whole brook trouts, shrimp in tomato and cheese sauce etc. After that of course a giant helping of assorted baklava. The service was great and the entire restaurant was packed with other family gatherings, so making a reservation would be wise. You can bring your own wine if you like, though they do serve alcohol. I’d recommend have a Raki or Turkish coffee to end the evening. Would absolutely return to this restaurant!!!

We walked in and ordered right away, Fried Liver cubes were good, but everything else was pretty much mediocre. Chicken shish cubes had no flavor no salt nothing, lamb chops were cut thin which was surprisingly bad,never had thin lamb chops before.. Servers weren’t attentive. I’ll Pass.

Came here with a group of friends for a birthday dinner and WOW was not disappointed. Service was very fast. Everything was amazing -- especially the Iskander kebab with tomato sauce, the pide and the lamb chops. It was so good that I got extra Iskander kebab for my partner, who promptly wolfed it down at 12am at night. Would definitely come back!

I was there almost a month ago and I was somehow happy with the food and service. Then I wrote a review about my experience. After that I was reading other reviews, seem like they made comment for themselves and their friends to make them look better. Anyway my friends and I went there today again. We ordered calamari, findik (small) lahmacun and cop shish. We waited so long for the calamari, even though next table got there after us and got their french fries and other fried stuff anyway I asked one of the waitress for our calamari, he said it's in the kitchen and coming I was being patient and still waited for it but instead of calamari they brought us findik lahmacun first. Some of them looks bitten on the way and looks-taste like radish was from yesterday as you see in the picture. Since we were hungry we didn't say anything and started our dinner then all the sudden they brought us our main courses then after a few seconds they brought us our calamari. We got our appetizer after main course and we have all the food at the same time on the table so, I wasn't happy at all but since we were hungry we didn't make a big deal and ate our dinner. After we finished our dinner waitress asked us if everything was ok, do we need any desert or anything. I said I wasn't happy with the service so we don't want anything else. I assume she felt bad or knew what happened she offered fruit plate, even though I said no they still brought to our table and my friends ate some watermelon and said it's been sliced since morning or yesterday. If you offered fruit plate to make it up your mistake at least you should bring FRESH fruit not the one from yesterday. Seem like instead of putting in the garbage they gave it to us. I was pushing my limits and still kept cool and didn't say anything but when we were paying the check, I only left $ 1 tip and told waitress about the reason and our experience with the food and service. Hope she understood and mentioned these problems to manager or owner...

This spot feels like home. The service was helpful, welcoming, and kind throughout the night. I genuinely find myself craving the dishes they serve, which is what keeps me coming back. Most recently I shared the mixed platter, along with some appetizers and dessert for two people. Coming here with a larger group means trying more dishes, which is always a plus. The restaurant is very family, friendly and people of all ages tend to enjoy the experience.

The best Yemenis restaurant in NY. The food is amazingly delicious. Large portions of food. Fresh bread, I believe they make the bread in the restaurant. Tentative and welcoming staff. This was my first time going to this restaurant but I will definitely go back again. The area is very nice with plenty of restaurants and coffee shops.

The level of hospitality these people offer is -to my experience- unmatched! They serve the guests free (yes free!) fresh baked bread with beef broth soup and some amazing side of pickled vegetables and lemons once you sit at your table, and the tea is also charge free and self serve! They also bring a free dish of side salad topped with the same yummy pickled chopped vegetables. The food is AMAZING, specifically the rice, which I could just continue eating forever! We were mainly surprised by how kind, generous and welcoming these people are. Will definitely go back!

The food was good overall, though not exactly to my taste. I ordered Fahsa Laham, which was excellent and truly authentic, just like the ones I’ve had in the Middle East. The charcoal-grilled chicken and chicken haneeth were decent but a bit bland; they could’ve used more spice. The atmosphere was really nice, and they offered complimentary black tea, which was a great touch. The food was a little pricey, understandable for Brooklyn.. but I felt the taste didn’t quite match the cost.

This is a type of place that I love and reminds me a lot of the restaurants I grew up with in South Brooklyn - made for groups and to share laughs and good food. We heard a lot of good things about the Haneeth which was good but the show stopped was the Fahsah, that was unique and delicious. Everything else was cozy and filling dishes and were just okay. I’m looking forward to coming back just for the Fahsah in the near future.

Delicious and authentic Yemeni food! The chicken Haneth was tender and full of flavor, and the rice was good too. Portions were generous, and they even serve beards and soup complimentary sides. fattah with honey as dessert was just perfect along with the self service perfect tea. The only issue with that part of Brooklyn is parking, but we got lucky and found a spot right in front of the restaurant. As soon as you’re seated, they serve warm bread and a bowl of lamb soup and the two go perfectly together. The soup has just the right balance of spices. We ordered a few dishes, but the highlight for us was definitely the lamb haneeth. The meat was super tender and full of flavor. The place is very clean, the service is excellent, and don’t forget the complimentary tea it’s the perfect way to finish your meal. Overall, it’s a great spot to experience authentic Yemeni cuisine.

Delicious Yemeni food! I highly recommend the Haneeth lamb dish and the liver dish. The service is fast and friendly, and the restaurant has been around for many years. The only downside is the significant price increase over time — $34 for a lamb plate feels a bit too steep.

After searching for good halal food for the past two days, I finally found this gem! We ordered chicken shawarma, lamb shawarma, and a mixed platter — every dish was full of flavor and absolutely delicious. The meat was juicy and well-seasoned, and the portion sizes were great for the price. The restaurant is clean, staff are friendly, and the service was quick. Please visit!! We had the chicken and lamb shish kebabs, both full of flavor and perfectly spiced, with portions that were much larger than expected. The fries were well-seasoned and tasty, though I’d recommend trying more of their traditional dishes over the American-style sides. The Russian soda had a minty taste that wasn’t quite for me, but it was interesting to try. What truly stood out was the service—our waitress, whose name I didn’t catch, was incredibly kind, social, and attentive. She made the whole experience even better, and I sincerely pray Allah blesses her with good health and wealth.

I went here in a hurry to avoid the rain and fill my hungry stomach. I was drenched in the rain at the time, so I thought I might be worried about the inside of the store getting wet, but they treated me very kindly. I was so happy that the owner was so kind. It was my first time experiencing this kind of feeling abroad, and I was grateful.

This was my first time trying Turkish cuisine. My friend loves Istanbul Kebab House and I can see why. Immediately the employees greeted us warmly and sat us in a cozy spot. Laura was particularly a stand out, provided recommendations and made sure we got the best deal. The food was flavorful and filling. The stand out was the pistachio baklava, lamb and chicken doner and the tea. I felt welcomed and respected as a customer which is just as important as great food. I will be back!

As a first time visit, I was impressed by how flavorful the food is. Their rice pudding wasn't overly sweet, rice grains were tender while not being soggy. The chicken shawarma and lamb shawarma combo plate was delicious! I recommend putting the yogurt sauce on it for more flavor and freshness.

Finally got a diner kebab with pickled cabbage and chile sauce, like I used to get in the UK. Absolutely delicious and our server was a delight. I walked about 20 blocks, checking out 4 total kebab places to find what I wanted and found it here. My friend and I reenacted the post credit scene from Avengers. Loved it.

I actually thought the food was pretty good, altho the kebab came a little dryer than we liked but the flavors were good. Wanted to like this place however huge let down with no tap water available and default 20% service charge. Plenty of seats in the restaurant, with tables of various sizes, and it was not busy during weeknight dinner. Perhaps there are other kebab places that are better.

Lovely Afghanistan restaurant with beautiful interior. We got the vegetarian platter, national dish (super tender lamb), lentil soup and the vegetable dumplings. Everything was super yummy (would just skip the Afghan nann). The lentil soup had such a unique blend of spices. The green tea with cardonmon was also great. The offered dessert on the house too. Great place!

Went here for the first time with a group of 4 people and the food was amazing. We had different plates, which I don’t remember their name because my friend ordered them🤣, but they were all really good. Yesterday, my friend and I visited your restaurant for dinner. We ordered a beef dumpling as an appetizer, and in main course I Uzbeki Qabuli Pulao for myself, and a beef kofta kabab for my friend, with a request to substitute naan bread for the rice. Unfortunately, our dining experience was far from satisfactory. To begin with, the appetizer order was incorrect; they served beef dumpling with fresh herbs and onions. Additionally, naan bread, which was supposed to accompany the main course. During the main course, the two dishes we ordered were served together on a single plate, despite being requested as separate orders.This was unacceptable and undermined the quality of the service. When I addressed these issues with the server, I explained the discrepancies in our orders. However, the situation was handled unprofessionally, leaving us disappointed. Furthermore, a 20% service charge was added to the bill. Per industry standards, such charges are typically applied for larger parties of six or more. Considering the poor quality of service we received, even a 15% service charge felt unwarranted.

Sami's kebab house has been around for a while serving authentic Afghani food. Lots of grilled meats, decent amount of seating, amazing flavors & good service. Highly recommend.

Good food, friendly customers service. It has a vibe of authenticity. If you see one skewer on the menu don’t think it’s a small portion. The skewers are actually large one will be enough for one person.

We ordered takeout here on a friend’s recommendation. It was out of this world. We got a chicken kebab with qabuli and bolani kachalu which is basically a deep fried afghani tortilla with potato filling. All delicious. The sauces are heaven. Get extra if you order! Sad it’s taken so long to discover this spot!

I was excited for my meal after reading excellent reviews here. The no menu schtick is a trap for the chef to provide inconsiderate service and arbitrary pricing. When I walked in I bought into the romanticization of the chef owner concept. Don’t make that mistake. By the time I left, 2 hours later for 2 small dishes, I’d been served over-cooked, over-seasoned, lazily prepared food in an uncomfortable setting. I was charged an exorbitant price for the displeasure. Worst meal I’ve had in NYC. Due to the chef’s aggressive and rude manners I couldn’t have a conversation with my guest without the chef intruding. I am alarmed by the lack of basic food handling safety. The chef and owner Ali was coughing and sneezing onto the dishes as he prepared them. Bleach and other cleaning products are stored haphazardly adjacent to food prep areas. See attached photo for the conditions of the cooking space and equipment. Due for an inspection ASAP. Do yourself a favor and go to any number of excellent options in the neighborhood instead.

Every aspect of dining here contained unexpected quality. The dishes showcase quality. Their food combines tradition with new ideas. Their service personnel's quick responses were noticeable. I appreciate the quality here and tell people.

Chef Ali puts together an amazing dining experience. One filled with delicious foods and entertaining conversations stretching your meal for hours and hours. It’s nice to slow down once in a while and be enjoy being human.

This place is a gem. It’s a very small place with enough seating for 10-15 people. The proprietor is an excellent gentleman who cooks everything from scratch and serves it. He is also very warm and friendly. The food is delicious, full of flavors, made from ingredients that are very fresh. Overall the experience is very personal; very different from an usual “restaurant”. The cuisine is specifically Alexandrian, and the name “kebab cafe” doesn’t do justice - this place has so much more than just kebabs.

Truly special. This place (and its sister restaurant Mombar) are basically as close as you can get to being invited into someone's home to share a delicious meal with them, while still being a restaurant you pay money (not that much) for. Ali is a character from a movie. Just eat whatever he tells you to, especially if it's the lamb cheeks or chicken livers.

Such a hidden gem! Owner was so friendly and welcoming, helped us understand the menu and the Traditional Meza was incredible especially if you are new to Lebanese food and was also a great deal. Loved that it's family owned and how authentic it all was. What a great find!

This place is amazing! It could be easy to miss but I really hope you don’t. It is located downstairs of Swallow cafe. We reached here by accident after being turned away from another restaurant, but in retrospect it turned out to be such a memorable sunday night family dinner. Food: If you like fish, definitely order the Sumki Hara. I don’t think I have tasted anything similar ever. The lamb and chicken in the mixed grill were spectacular as well. The chicken curry was mild and heartwarming. All of the dishes came with rice which was coated with either ghee or butter and also had vermicelli which was different and so delicious. Amazing staff! We will be back!

Wow. Just wow. I am so happy I discovered this place!!! If you are looking for authentic simply made/served Lebanese food, look no further. We ordered the traditional mezze, fattoush, and Samki hara, all of which were fantastic. Tasted like my aunts were in the kitchen! We ended the meal with very comforting rice pudding for dessert. Totally give this place a try for dine in Fri-Sun nights. We had the entire restaurant to ourselves.

The staff is very welcoming and friendly. The decor is very nice...I love the seating in the back and the custom chairs. The food is great...salad, pita bread, hummus and lebanese omelette was great. The ground lamb in yogurt sauce is wasn't as appetizing. Lamb was barely seasoned and the yogurt sauce was too watery with barely any seasoning. Overall everything was good. I would still recommend.

Loved the prix fixe menu concept with the array of small appetizers and hummus as well as the soft serve at the end. Chicken shishilik is a must order but I think the kebabs will all do you well in general. Of course, great views of the Manhattan skyline make this place unique.

Came here for my wedding anniversary. I reserved a few weeks in advance and specifically requested a terrace/view table. I even arrived 15 minutes early for my 6pm Tuesday reservation, but was seated at a table in the middle of the restaurant even though many terrace-side tables were open. I had to speak with four different hostesses to get moved, and while they acknowledged it was my anniversary, the response felt more like “let’s see what we can do to accommodate” rather than an effort to make it special. We were eventually seated closer to the entrance with a view. Service was slow - it took 25 minutes before anyone came by to take our drink order. When we left, I said thank you to the hostess and she didn’t even look up, which was bizarre and rude. As for the food, it was fine but not memorable. The spread is essentially a large platter of pickled vegetables with a much smaller portion of meat (maybe six pieces). The view is lovely, but overall the service felt unfriendly, and the food didn’t live up to the hype.

Our final dinner in NYC at Laser Wolf was a magnificent highlight of our amazing summer 2025 US East Coast road trip. Not only was the food incredibly delicious and a complete taste journey, but the service was also superb. With the amazing Manhattan and Brooklyn panorama at sunset the whole experience was quite perfect. THANK YOU SO MUCH LASER WOLF TEAM. Definitely make a reservation! Superhighly recommended.

It is prepared with dandelion with cilantro and olive oil. Staff is friendly and helpful. Mario is the nice owner with many years of restaurant experience.

Really enjoyed everything that we ordered!! I think the lamb chops were my favorite, very tender but well cooked. The little milk pudding on toast dessert just had little too much rose water. I will definitely return! Have to say, I did return and they did not meet my expectations. Second time around, the food did not taste as good. Had to drop my rating from a 5 to a 3.

This place has been on my list of places to try and I was randomly in the area and it was the perfect opportunity. They have two spinning shawarma's lamb-turkey and baby chicken. I could not decide between the two so I got a combo pita pocket sandwich. The meat was so tasty and tender and the hummus and Israeli salad were awesome. They have some many toppings but it was first time so I went with the safe choices. Next time I am planning on trying the laffa it looked so good and it was large enough to feed two. My order came with a side coleslaw and small order of fries. The service was fast and the staff were polite. Highly recommend!

While the food was genuinely excellent, my overall experience was marred by the manager’s behavior. On multiple occasions, I witnessed her speaking disrespectfully to her staff—arguing and displaying a poor attitude in front of customers (on multiple different visits). It created an uncomfortable environment that overshadowed the quality of the food. Unfortunately, I will not be returning and would advise others to consider dining elsewhere.

Wow, the kebab is really delicious! It tastes almost the same as the German style. The only difference is that it has a bit less vegetables and sauce compared to Germany — more meat instead. But it’s highly recommended!

This restaurant is one of the best döner places in the US. Every time I visit, they serve a loaded wrap at an affordable price. The ordering process is easy and convenient, and they even have baklava for dessert. City visitors must stop by for their menu.

Great food and great value! The boxes with fries are huge and flavorful. We liked the Chicken a bit more than the Beef just because the beef had some big shavings. The chicken was easier to eat. The staff was also super nice. I only wish we had ordered less and shared, which would have been an even better value. All of us were really hungry and couldn't eat any more and still had a whole box leftover.

Food was delicious. Tried almost all of their menu and man are they good! The fries are seasoned beautifully and paired with the red hot sauce was great! Only thing I found that I didn’t like was that either the white sauce or beef was seasoned with too much salt, and that they don’t really have a place to dine in. I live in the suburbs of Philly and originally come from Turkey, so I know a good döner when I taste one—and Döner Haus nails it! Their Berlin-style döner is absolutely delicious and reminds me of the ones I’ve had back home and in Germany. The meat is flavorful, the bread is perfect, and the sauces take it to the next level. Every time I’m in New York, I make sure to stop by—it’s a must! Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic döner.

I just got a mix wrap today and told them not to add any salad. The girl said I have to choose one so I added onions and asked her to give sause on the side The bone dry wrap was loaded with 50% onions and there was no sause! Not inside the sandwich and not on the side! Very disappointed!!

It was my first time eating at this local restaurant. It’s a quaint little place tucked away near Astoria Park. Rosie was our waitress and she made the experience there so much better. Her timing with following up with us was so nice. She made great recommendations and has a great sense of humor. The food was beyond my expectation and the team seems to work pretty well under pressure bc it was extremely busy and we were in and out really quick. Definitely can’t wait to go again.

This spot is a hidden gem in Astoria the dishes are amazing the meats are well seasoned and have a great flavor. The veggies are grilled perfect with hints of spices. The Greek salad was delicious the feta cheese was so tasty. The lemon potatoes where amazing. Now if you want to sample all the delicious proteins try the Small mix Grill a plate of meat seasoned to perfection grilled and layed on some seasoned pita bread with grilled veggies and delicious red onions. The plate is for about 3or 4 people and it really comes loaded. Chase that down with a ICE COLD MYTHOS BEER. The sauces are great there a Greek spicy cheese sauce, nikos sauce,Tzatziki sauce for dipping all your choices of meats. Service was Great portions where Generous as well. Lots of leftover food for the road. Stop in and enjoy the food and the calm quite ambiance.

I dropped in after visiting a few friends in the neighborhood. The restaurant is in a desirable area, with plenty of outdoor seating. The owner/manager was a gentleman who greeted me upon arrival and was tentative. I very much enjoyed chicken souvlaki with a scrumptious salad that was popping with freshness and flavor. The inside dining area was cozy and promoted an excellent experience. I would highly recommend this eatery. Enjoy.

Humble Lebanese spot in Sunnyside with really good food for the price point!! We love this place. Their shish kebabs, meatballs, baklava and kunefa's are our favorite! Also, don't forget the babaganoush- the roasted egpgplant flavor really shins through! Everything made fresh everyday.

My family and I have been coming to al Shater for as long as I can remember. We’ve always eaten incredible food here and the staff are always absolutely wonderful and generous. Recently, my family and I hosted a 100+ person event and catered the food from al Shater. 3ame Khaled treated us like family, giving us an incredible price for all of the food we ordered and even accommodated our request to slightly modify the food to best suit the style of the event. The food was delicious, fresh, and clearly made with love and the highest quality ingredients. Tons of people after the party asked us who catered the food from how incredible it was, and we proudly directed them to al Shater! 3ame Khaled was constantly communicating with us in a timely fashion, listened to any/all changes and requests we had, honestly advised us on the right quantities of food we needed for the amount of guests we were hosting, welcomed us into the store with love and even had the food prepared ahead of schedule. We ordered many things including: kibbe, shawarma, hummus, tabboule, kofta, shish tawook, mana2eesh za3tar and jibne, sfee7a, spinach fatayer, etc. I’ve attached photos of some of the food from the event for reference and highly recommend al Shater for a quick delicious bite or any of your catering needs!

For 30 years, this place has been a hidden gem for people trying to find the best taste from the Middle East. I’m originally from Dubai, and after trying this place, it feels like I’m back home. The mixed shawarma that comes with garlic sauce, the pickled radish, along with other vegetables, brings a mix of flavor to this wrap. I’m so glad i found this place. It seems like I’m back home. It is a hit or miss. And definitely worth it!

Great hole in the wall. Found their pita sandwiches to be okay but they have a ton of other food which I would highly recommend. It's close to where I am and is something we try often. Unsure of why it is hyped up so much but definitely welcoming and worth trying.

I’ve been living here for two years and never checked this place out. The smells and aromas that comes out of here are delicious. I decided to try today, what a complete let down. Service: the guy didn’t even acknowledge me and was on the phone. Seem annoyed I came to pick up my order. I called originally and it was nice. Food: eh, I could make this myself. Nice charred taste but that’s it. Lacked flavor and such a small portion for the price. Price: never again. $20. You got to be kidding me. Side note: I walked by here some time ago and my husband ask for a menu and refused him. We are AA btw. Will not come back.

The best Uzbek food out there. At least in this neighborhood, and I have tried a few. Nothing beats this one. There is a language barrier so service could do better, but I won't count it against them, cause the food is so so good. The Samsa and Shurpa are awesome appetizers. We order a lot of lamb ribs and lamb sheesh. The lamb chops are a great option, though they are a little pricey, but that's almost everywhere.

We celebrated my birthday and we had a private room, everything was very tasty and great service. All guests were very satisfied, I want to thank all the employees of Shashlik House and Kasim too, thank you very much, you can trust them all !!!

The food tasted great while the staff showed true dedication. You can taste they select what's best in season. The team handled service with expert precision. Make it a social outing at this restaurant. When I'm in this part of town, I'll return.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Shalshik House in Brooklyn, and I have to say, the kabob was simply amazing, the best I've ever had! My favorite was definitely he Lula kabob and lamb chop. I ate it along with their red sauce and raw vinegar sliced onion, it was perfect! While the ambience may be nothing fancy, it has a certain charm and coziness that makes you feel right at home. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, adding to the overall pleasant experience. I also appreciated the reasonable prices, especially for the high quality of the food. It’s as authentic it can get! All in all, Shalshik House is a hidden gem that I will definitely be visiting again. Highly recommended to anyone in the area looking for delicious and authentic kabobs!

Absolutely delicious- we ordered a garden salad, tandoor bread, lamb lula kabab, lamb chops, lamb ribs, beef roll and a few other things but the lamp chops and lula kabab were the best I’ve ever had. Highly recommend and will definitely be back with my kids

Service was superb! Food was good overall, but can be more flavorful. The sauce with the satay chicken was really nice. Got Samaira & Sultan hookahs- my preference was the Sultan. The atmosphere was also nice overall, but the loud music and spaced seating made it difficult to communicate with my companion to the point where we were texting more than half the time of our stay. Otherwise decor is nice, DJ plays good music, and perhaps because it was a Saturday there was a belly dancer show. It was a nice experience but very expensive.

⚠️ WARNING: Predatory Billing Practices!! The pricing is deceptive and honestly shocking! They charged $30 for a single simple Casamigos with club soda. To put that into perspective, a 750ml bottle of Casamigos costs about $40 in stores, and not even upscale bars charge that much for a drink in Soho. Plus, this wasn’t even a crafted cocktail with garnish, any mixology or professional literally just tequila and club soda poured by a girl sitting on a small booth behind the small bar counter in the corner, glued to her phone, two steps from the DJ who was also a waiter…. Nothing about it felt professional, upscale, or worth that price. Had we known it was $30 each, we never would’ve ordered at all!! My friend and I had 6 Casamigos with club soda at $30 each, plus 1 hookah for $70. That’s it. No food, no entertainment — nothing else (place was dead). The bill came to $319, but they even tried to run my card for $395 first (SEE SCREENSHOTS)!!! Even at $319, that’s insanely overpriced for six basic drinks and one hookah. At the very least, they should clearly disclose that something as simple as Casamigos with club soda will run you $30. I will be reporting this business to the NYC Department of Consumer, the Better Business Bureau, and the NY Attorney General’s Consumer Protection Bureau. Consumers deserve transparency — and businesses like this need to be held accountable.

We decided to try out this lounge and left disappointed. The place was completely empty when we arrived and dull. We ordered fries, hummus, drinks, and one hookah. the food and drinks were decent but nothing special either. What really surprised us was the bill - $130 for what was a less than average experience. We also asked to take our food to go since we were ready to leave, but were told that wasn’t possible, which was ridiculous! The staff themselves were polite and friendly, but the overall vibe from the owners came across as stuck up. With more reasonable pricing, better energy, and more flexibility for guests this spot could really improve. It needs work.

This hookah lounge is amazing! The interior decor is luxury and is a vibe. Large selection of hookah’s plus they keep changing the charcoal to keep it going, which was perfect! The food is fresh and delicious. The service & hospitality, WOW! Brandon, the manager, is super polite, friendly and professional. Very attentive! I only got 2 small complaints, the music should have been more middle eastern and there’s no alcohol. Otherwise the drinks are delicious and this place is absolutely worth checking out! They have belly dancing on Friday’s & Saturday’s. I’ll definitely be going back ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We went on an early Sunday afternoon with just 2 tables serving customers; however, our to-go order of two Lamb Adana Pita sandwiches took a good solid 25 minutes, too long for my liking. The interaction with the staff was also below mark. The hostess was apparently new. She's gave me a blank look when I walked in and said I would like to order sandwiches to go. Someone then motioned her to show me where the pile of menus was. The manager also sported an attitude. I am not sure if it's the culture, but I wasn't greeted by him and I didn't feel welcomed. Even the chef, when I thought I had waited long enough and thought the newly bagged food were for me, he quickly dismissed rather rudely. In general there was a bit of struggle in communicating in English with everyone in the staff. Now the Lamb Adana Pita Sandwiches we ordered weren't bad. The lettuce, tomatoes, and onions seemed fresh, and the grounded lamb was moist; however, the sauces were a disappointment. The white sauce had no character and the spicy sauce was the common kind that comes in a packaged plastic pouch. The pita bread was thin like a wrap. Maybe that's the Turkish version? It's probably just me but I like the thicker, doughier kind better. There are enough other good gyro/kebab places around. I don't think I will be coming back here for more.

Food used to be very good and very cheap in this middle Eastern small place in Queens boulevard. The quality seems to have decreased a bit, the chicken wasn't fully cooked and the salad had many green tomato pieces that weren't removed. The Turkish tea continues to be tasty and complimentary but now served in a to go cup.

I love Turkish food. Mangal had thia amazing turkish bread and this mixed vegetarian appetizer. It really was delicious on its own. I went for the double chicken kebab. Very delicious!

It is not the most appealing looking place from the outside , but once you taste their food there is no turning back. Always come from Manhattan to have the grilled branzino...Delicious, fresh and juicy!!!

Ordered delivery, it took around 1,5 hours to get here not as promised at all. Rice was so soggy, meat was not tasty. Dry, and not enough seasoning. I didn’t like food at all not chicken nor beef. Do not recommend. Takes forever to prepare the order so it got delivered cold. Disappointment. The only thing I liked was Bread. Pretty fresh.

I wish that I could give this establishment a five star review. I ordered the beef and chicken kebab - it came with the rice and salad on the side. The chicken was good. However, the beef was sooo dry it tasted like rubber. I think next time I order I’ll probably just get the chicken.

Traditional modern style turkish restaurant.we ordered mangal special grill and lahmacun. Grill came in tray covered with layer of bread and separate salad. Highly recommended. Lahmachun also very tasty. Prices are worth the food, portions are good. We ordered dinner on a weekend. Not to busy. Don't know about parking. Would recommend highly 5/5.

Nice place, good food, plenty of seating. Parking could be an issue depending on the time of your arrival, although there is plenty of paid parking on street if you don't feel like looking. Nice atmosphere 👌 I recommend this place IF Turkish food is your forte 😋. It is actually made by Turkish people so that's a plus. Lamb chops were juicy and well seasoned, dessert 🍨 🥧 was pretty good, i personally liked the rice pudding, although we ordered one of each dessert, the rice pudding was the best in my opinion.

I was looking for Mediterranean cuisine closer to me than Astoria and came across this restaurant. We ordered chicken soup, which I've had before in other places, chicken kebab dish and the mixed meat dish. Everything was exceptional and full of flavor. The staff was very nice and welcoming. I will absolutely be coming back soon.

Zirve Turkish Grill is absolutely fantastic! The food is fresh, flavorful, and authentic — you can really taste the quality in every bite. The kebabs are perfectly seasoned and juicy, the bread comes out warm and soft, and the sides complement the meal so well. The portions are generous and the prices are very reasonable for the quality. On top of that, the service is warm and welcoming — you can tell they genuinely care about their customers. The atmosphere is cozy, making it a perfect spot for both casual meals and special occasions. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for delicious Turkish food and a great dining experience. I just ordered from this restaurant and it was amazing! Everything tasted fresh and full of flavor, and the portion was perfect. The delivery was fast and the food arrived hot and well-packaged. Definitely impressed and will be ordering again soon!

Terrible service and online pickup arrangement. I went against my judgement and ignored the low rating and placed an order from this place. First of all they automatically charge you $5 tip even for pickup order. Secondly they were 30 minutes late. Didn’t really acknowledge or apologized for the wait. When we come with our food we realized one item was missing from our order!!!!! From beginning to end horrible experience. I will not get anything from them again and definitely not recommend. New management doesn’t really seem like made any upgrades.

This place is authentic! Their warm and toasted house bread pairs well with the tender marinated chicken. The serving size is huge. Good for 2. The white sauce brings the whole sandwich together.

Super fast and the döner tasted amazing. I am from Germany originally and this was the best so far I had in the States in the past 10 years. Kudos!! Why? 1) The chicken meat tasted exactly as it shoud. 2) The sauce was perfect 3) The pita bread was nice, fresh and toasty, not a piece of rubber. Fantastic. P.S.: Yummy baklava also

Pleasantly pleased with the quality and service of this little hidden gem near NYU. The quality and quantity were great. This was my first time trying döner, it was definitely alittle different than regular gyro. The staff was friendly. I would recommend evto try this place if you are near NYU.

About 5’9 Indian worker who was absolutely disrespectful. Tried to belittle me and make witty remarks about my nationality. Thats not even the best part. I ordered a pita and home-bread chicken shwarma. Meat has fat all over it and most of it is undercooked/raw. Serious health violations eapecially sinxe my wife gagged and threw up after the 3rd bite. Please see picture attached and avoid at all costs.

I generally don’t go to NYC with a list of “must try restaurants” or anything like that from social media; it’s either cooking at my girlfriend’s place or eating wherever she wants. This weekend, however, some friends insisted we try a hot, new restaurant on McDougal street. As we walked down the street, my eyes immediately focused on the illuminated, forest green, presumably 30-year old sign. I knew this would satisfy my hunger after a long, tiring day of walking the NYC streets; I’m from Texas so the preferred mode of transportation is a Ford F-150, legs not so much. Looking at the menu, I was set from the get-go on ordering the beef lamb gyro. But my indecisive self was torn between the pita, the homemade bread, and the wrap. Fortunately, Berlin Döner has excellent service and bat-eared staff. The man behind the counter heard me ask my girlfriend what she thought would be better and held up a pita and bread to show their size comparisons. I asked what he thought was better. “The home made bread all the way”, he said. My gut instinct, or maybe just hunger, told me I could trust this guy’s judgement. Lettuce, tomato, onions, pickled cabbage, white sauce, red sauce. He topped the gyro meat high with the toppings and wrapped it in foil to keep it warm on my walk home. I can’t fully speak to the atmosphere and experience of eating here, but if it’s anything like the experience ordering it is The Place To Be on a Saturday night in NYC. I still don’t really have a list of restaurants I’ve gotta eat at when visiting NYC. But if I ever make that list, Berlin Döner will be high up on there.

The food was so good and the portions were big. The price was fair. I had the chicken wrap and my sister had the chicken pita. They were both delicious.

Went to try this place based on reviews..it was great. The bread could of been softer but was decent. The baklava was not made with pistachios in fact, there weren't any nuts. I specifically asked them they'd said it had pistachios. For this mista, e they get 4 stars.

Skip the long line of people waiting to enter the famous deli one block over and come here instead. You’ll be greeted by the warmest smiles to be found in the Lower East Side. This down to earth Turkish restaurant offers authentic mouth watering cuisine. The grape leaves (Dolma) tasted so fresh I felt they were made just before my arrival. The lamb was more tender and juicy than any other lamb I’ve had before.

A Taste of Turkey: Ankara’s Culinary Delights Our recent visit to Ankara was a delightful culinary experience. We sampled a variety of dishes, including the falafel sandwich, chicken gyro, lamb gyro, Mediterranean salad, and cheesecake. The cheesecake was the standout, rich and decadent, a perfect ending to the meal. The chicken gyro, while tasty, was a bit dry. The lamb gyro, on the other hand, was flavorful and satisfying, though a bit greasy. The Mediterranean salad offered a refreshing contrast, a burst of fresh flavors. Ankara is a cozy spot that offers generous portions of delicious Turkish cuisine. We're already looking forward to our next visit, especially to indulge in more of that heavenly cheesecake.

I ordered beef doner over rice small portion ( which i think quite big ) The taste is just like the original one. Oil of rice little bit much. Salad on the side so tasty. Beef cooked well which is good for me.

Wow. Have to hand it to them. GREAT tasting & quality food at an amazingly fair price. Place is super clean (please keep it this way!) and staff is friendly. Both of our dishes were delicious with the right attention paid to ingredient quality, prep, and cooking (grilled tomato a nice touch!) We will definitely return. 2024 update - have been a few times since the original review and consistently good. Went recently and had a chicken gyro sandwich. It was OUTSTANDING. I can’t believe they have actually gotten better over time. Plus now open 24 hours!!

Great food and service. Waitress came around to check on us often and refilled our waters. Also gave complimentary pita bread as we waited for the main entrees. I had the Adana kebab - ground lamb (photo below). Meat was tender and flavorful, good pairing with the rice (rice pilaf and orzo). My friend had the Izgara Kofte kebab and we shared an app (Sigara Borek - fried dough with feta cheese and herb filling). Definitely coming back to the try the rest of the menu.

My Department was looking for a restaurant to have a gathering and end of the year celebration, and Wafa's provided a warm and welcoming environment for us to gather, especially as we had the entire restaurant to ourselves. The food was delicious, beautifully prepared, and offered a wealth of flavors and textures. Each dish from the appetizers to the main course and desert was a gastric delight. Most importantly Wafa made us feel at home, from the family style service, the courteous assistance of her sons, and the food that is rooted in tradition and prepared with excellence and thoughtfulness. I will definitely return!

My wife and I have a pretty wide range of food dishes; ethnic, Asian, European or American. We love middle eastern as well. So with great reviews we decided to venture off to my old neighborhood and try Wafa's. Falafel for appetizer blew me away, then I ordered lamb shwarma. First thing that hit me was a pungent and overwhelming mix of spices, seemed like nutmeg mixed with cinnamon and possibly cardamom. Yes, I cook and have a sense of balance in a dish, but I could not tell you if it were lamb or beef on my plate. The meat was some hand chopped browned pieces with unexpected tough parts of tendons and I was glad I left my reading glasses at home. My wife had some dish with ground lamb with the same overpowering flavor of this spice mix. My son, on the other hand, liked his shwarma. A side of babaganush and humus was pretty good thus a score of two. Interior reminded me of an upgraded pizzeria with few waiters that were not sure what they were doing, but please don't think of it as a restaurant, it's more of a trattoria. Surprisingly the place got full with people as we were finishing up, maybe it's me but I doubt it. Hopefully it's just a case of a heavy hand and a spice shaker and an end cut of a lamb shank. But we're not going back.

I have yet to order anything here and not love it and the service is excellent at this place. The moussaka here is amazing. I love it. The baba ganoosh is also excellent. I have been here several times and I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking to have some quality Lebanese food in Queens.

This family-owned Lebanese restaurant has wonderful vegetarian meals. My favorite is what I call a "MOM" - three different items ont he pattern. Favorite things for me are the okra and baklava! Very reasonable prices.
