Indonesian restaurant
Senju Omakase is a contemporary Japanese restaurant that offers an elevated omakase dining experience. The restaurant features a stylish and expansive space where guests can sit at the long marble-top sushi bar to interact with the chefs as they skillfully prepare surprise dishes.
Excellent fish, exceptional sashimi and the miso black cod is to die for. The matsuzaka beef tartare dish with egg was overly sauced so the taste of the beef was missing, also only 2 slices of beef in the matsuzaka ramen. Otherwise everything was delicious and the staff were very helpful.
Daisy W — Google review
had such an amazing time at Senju Omakase. every dish was so fresh and beautifully made, really a special experience! ❤️
Edita M — Google review
Visiting Senju Omakase has been an exceptional culinary experience for my wife and me. The omakase order and other menu items were not disappointing; everything was delicious. Despite the premium pricing, the quality of the food and service is well worth it. Highly recommended for those who appreciate high-quality Japanese cuisine.
Hendra C — Google review
They ran out of abalone for the omakase and replaced it with different seafood, which, considering the overpriced set menu, I believe doesn't hold the same value. Drink variety: 8.5/10 Drink taste: 7/10 Food variety: 8/10 Food taste: 7/10 Food portion: 8/10 Service speed: 8/10 Interior decoration: 7.5/10 Spaciousness: 8/10

Very good teppanyaki experience! Great staff and high quality of ingredients. Their chawanmushi is sooo good!
Valery K — Google review
As a walk in customer, we were shown only the set menu either teppanyaki or omakase set which min cost Rp.950,000 per person. In addition, we were offered fresh fish with rate of Rp.2,5jt for a fish only as small as 300gr. Later when the billing came, we just found there was an alacarte menu available. We are Japanese food lover and this is the only time we found a Japanese resto was not having true honesty in serving customers. Food taste is just average, bit salty and plain. NOT RECOMMENDED
Riana T — Google review
We ordered the omakase set. It’s delicious. The portion is 1 set for 2. So everything you see in the picture is half the size. Btw you still need to pay Rp 150rb to make that 1 portion for 2 to happened. Though i wished they’d filled up the miso soup for the price they charging. It’s fine dining style. i’d love to have it with their alcohol pairing but coz of my gerd condition i’m avoiding taking alcohol. Place: good Service: great (u get ur own waitress)
Yusnianti L — Google review
We ordered the 10 course meals and we were impressed with the chef, he could mix different kind of flavours and yet tasted so good! The price is also good value so we'd definitely come back!

71st Omakase Restaurant, located in New York City, has quickly become a popular spot known for its excellent omakase options and unique dining experience. The speakeasy-like restaurant offers mysterious servings that change quarterly, ensuring a different experience every three months. Beyond omakase, the restaurant provides an innovative gastronomic experience with its diverse themed seasonal menus. We had birthday dinner here, the theme was Zodiac 2.0. The experience was unforgettable, the service was top notch, food is delicious and we were actually quite full with the 12-course omakase. Good job! will come back for the new theme/season!
Adinda A — Google review
An unforgettable culinary journey at 71st Omakase, where each dish is a work of art crafted to reflect the unique essence of the zodiac signs. The experience is a harmonious blend of creativity and tradition, with each course thoughtfully designed to align with the spirit of the zodiac. From delicate fish to bold, unexpected flavors, the meal not only tantalizes the taste buds but also engages the soul. The presentation is immaculate, and the flavors are nothing short of extraordinary. If you're seeking a dining experience that transcends the ordinary, the Zodiac-themed omakase at 71st Omakase is a must-try!
Yudha W — Google review
Great experience with delicious food! Tried the zodiac theme fine dining, and 11/12 of the dishes are delicious & creative. Best services & homey place. Def will come back for another theme ♥️
Orintsani — Google review
First time going to Omakase, it was quite the experience, very unique and fun with the zodiac theme they had. The food for me was quite good and the presentation was phenomenal. My favorite dish from the night came from the Taurus, Gemini, Scorpio, and Sagitarius. Although communication was a bit lacking when i ordered a bottle of wine, i wanted the wine chilled 15 min before serving, but when 15 min was up, they never chilled my wine, so we had to wait some more, waiting over 30 min before i had my first glass of wine served, maybe this can be improved by the staff. Overall the experience was great, the staff were quite friendly and professional, and the food was exceptional! I would recommend this place while they still have their 50% discount.
James B — Google review
this is our very first omakase experienced. had a lovely time here with all of the zodiac journey they served. the food was legit, the staff and services really nice and helpful. and also they really took care of allergic notes
Radhwarana — Google review
It was a fun experience, had a 12 course meal here, each representing a zodiac. Taurus was especially good. I think all the ingredients are locally sourced, good job for that.
Juan M — Google review
We had a birthday dinner with Zodiak theme and it was amazing. The best food wrapped by escape room experience that we never forget. Will surely come again for the other themes. This place is suitable for romantic dinner, family, or even friends. Great way to have a bonding and quality time around the city.
Ajeng N — Google review
Experienced a FINE fine dining! Dinner with a story, ans this time the story is about the 12 zodiac. Fresh, fragrant, delicious ingredients sourced locally. Never have i ever ate such beautiful arrangement of dishes. The staffs are very friendly, polite, and helpful! I would love to come again next time.

Fusion restaurant
OKU is a modern restaurant located within a hotel, offering premium traditional Japanese cuisine in a casual setting. The establishment includes a deluxe bar and lounge with a laid-back atmosphere inspired by Japanese Zen principles. Chef Kazumasa Yazawa brings his expertise in Japanese cuisine to create a modern interpretation of traditional dishes. The restaurant prides itself on serving only the best quality sushi and sashimi, with fresh seafood imported twice weekly from Toyosu Fish Market in Tokyo.
Best. Resto. In. Jakarta. Worth going for special occasions! The spicy sushi was amazing. BUT PLEASE GET THE DESSERTS! Amazing pastries. Thank you to the manager, Hiro san, and his amazing staff, Aji!
HNT — Google review
Menu: 1. Eel roll, my go to menu when visiting an uncharted Japanese restaurant, surprisingly become the bar of the complexity of taste. So so good! 9.5/10 2. My partner ordered some wagyu A5 curry. It's subtle but perfectly balanced. 8.5/10 3. I was never really a fan of tea, but the sakura tea was fragant and calming 4. A complimentary free dish consisted of a chocolate mouse and fudgy brownie chocolate covered in frozen chocolate, very sweet but light, with some hints of sour from raspberry and lemon zest? 9.5/10. Service: Mas Aji Prayogi was very helpful and initiative, without being overly too obvious, the kind of waiter you'd want to find, oblivious but alert.
Katarina W — Google review
I am a japanese food lover and i don’t mind to over pay for it. But Oku's set menu felt like a robbery . We spent IDR 4 million (≈ €240) and received only a few undersized plates with decidedly mediocre flavors. The supposed “main course” — a steak that cost extra even though it was part of the set — was advertised as truffle-infused, yet offered neither the aroma nor the taste of truffle, the desert was tastless an ice cream with kasava something cannot be part of a set menue . The staff were pleasant, but that didn’t erase the feeling of being overcharged. Bottom line: if you value fresh ingredients and memorable flavours, skip Okko and dine elsewhere.
L M — Google review
The best Japanese dining in Jakarta! Aji Prayogi and the manager Mr. Hiro served us well, which made us feel at home! Would definitely come back for sure!
Jason R — Google review
My favorite japanese food in town. Must try: oku kaarage, wagyu sando, karasumi pasta. It’s expensive but you get what your money’s worth in this place. Top quality service from all the staffs. Been here many times and they never disappoint.
Bryan W — Google review
I dined at Oku for a family occasion and was thoroughly impressed. The food was delicious, and the ambiance calm and inviting. Our attendants Aji, Cindy, and Rega were exceptionally warm and attentive. To my surprise, they even celebrated my family’s birthday unprompted, adding a truly memorable touch to our experience. Highly recommended!
Anastasya F — Google review
Tonight We tried the set menu at Okko Jakarta and felt completely let down. The dishes lacked flavor, the number of dishes is very low for a set menu , the miso soup was overly salty and was served after the main, the Wagyu (supposedly with truffle) had no truffle not a tiny smell of truffle and came in tiny slices with way too much rice. Dessert was plain and unimpressive, and we only got four pieces of sashimi. We paid 4.7 millions IDR, this felt like a total scam. Definitely not worth it I can’t deny that the staff were nice

It’s a value for money Japanese restaurant. Especially for lunch. The quantity is a lot. Food quality wise is ok. It’s more like a mid range Japanese restaurant. But service is great and nice ambience.

Chef Nishiura and his team have created a very well balanced and authentic Omakase experience. The ingredients used were very fresh and high quality. The service from manager Evodie and the team was wonderful and attentive. The restaurant ambiance is very nice too. Very authentic, delicious and high quality meal. I would highly recommend and return to this restaurant.

Sushi Masa is a unique sushi spot located within the fish market of Muara Baru, specifically inside the Pelabuhan Perikanan Samudera Nizam Zachman in Jakarta Utara. Despite its unconventional location, it offers an array of fresh and delectable sushi options that are highly praised by visitors. The restaurant's standout dishes include the salmon aburi sushi and unagi don.
The unagi roll was the top notch; I super liked ❤️, salmon was a 💣 so fresh. Tori age Negi and Beef Toryufu also so delicious. The service and ambiance was good. But, I wanted to make reservations thru WhatsApp but is like slow response. Luckily I got the table by walk-in. Thank you sushi masa, chefs and services.
Niken D — Google review
It's been 2 years since the last time we ate here. The quality drops quite significantly. The frozen food outlet on 1st floor now is very empty and not many assortments of fish. The restaurant is not too crowded and we felt that it's not as nice as before (while still pricey). We ordered the beef bowl with onsen, and rhe onsen was overcooked. When we told the waitress, rather than taking the feedback, she was so defensive and insisted that it's how the onsen should be. So annoying. The creamy udon is nice though. But the tsukune was having too much egg whites so the texture is very bad.
Ellen B — Google review
So good the taste is still good but the service dropping drastically. It was 3PM non busy day but the food takes more than 40 minutes and 2 of 4 food we ordered is sold out. To top up, the cook forget our order and make us wait when we are about to finish. I dont know what happened here but the service sound pretty irresponsible
Pepperidge F — Google review
the salmon was top notch .. easily beat other sushi places, my favourite meal was the salmon salad with yuzu dressing.. so good 👍 salmon sushi was so fresh and big 👍 now the service .. waitresses were friendly, but definitely need to improve .. i ordered 2 spaghetti aglio olio with beef specifically for my kids, after around more than 30 mins, they came out (last one to come out), and..... they were spicy... no information about chilli on the menu, the waitress didnt inform us knowing full well they were for kids... when she was asked about it... the reply was as if its a fact that aglio olio was spicy.. we said okay, can we just order the beef udon pls.. not spicy.. it should be quick right?... it was indeed not long for the beef udon to come out .. but guess what.. the beef udon was like some spaghetti carbonara type of dish .. and i was like .. what is this? i was hoping for the hot soup udon .... she was like...ohhh that hot soup one is called niku udon.... niku is beef.. no? the experience really ruined otherwise some delicious food..
Joy — Google review
Food was good and fresh. I like their hotate. Pasta was also good. And the dessert was really good. However, the access to this place was a bit challenging. Price is considerably high.
Herin — Google review
One of the best sushi restaurants in town. The fish is always fresh! We tried its grilled noroguro, the day’s special catch and it’s very delicious. The place is always crowded, so better to make reservation in advance.
A R — Google review
Do i have to explain that up-till this very moment, there is no better sushi place in town, yet.
Rizky A — Google review
Trully a hidden gem (but not a secret anymore) of Jakarta. Who would have thought the best sushi restaurant in such place. I've been to this joint since the first year they opened, and even now I still think it's worth coming back to. Quality of food is awesome. It's always fresh and delicate. All the sushi and sashimi have the top notch quality and freshness, especially their tuna. I ordered the grilled squid, not only it was fresh but they grilled it to perfection. It shows they apply strong controls into their cooking technique. The oysters are succulent and big, go well with their yuzu sauce. The steak is good and the katsu is fried perfectly. The uni spaghetti is not bad but not as aromatic as it could be. I think the best dish is the creamy udon, trully creamy sauce well infused with garlic. Ambiance is ok, but service is good and fast. If you want good dessert or ice cream after the meal, the shop 1 floor down is where you should go.

Sushi Hiro is a trendy and contemporary Japanese fusion restaurant located in some of Jakarta's most iconic malls. The venue boasts minimalist decor and offers creative Japanese fare, including sushi rolls and Japanese-style pasta. Customers praise the fresh and high-quality ingredients used in their dishes, particularly highlighting the freshness of the salmon. While some note that the service can be slow at times, they appreciate the polite staff and overall pleasant dining experience. Though considered somewhat pricey, many find that the delicious food justifies the cost.
Amazing food even though we’re here during a discount-day! Service was amazing and really nice as well, especially mr. Amal.

I am a bit troubled when it come to long awaited time for the order delivery. We wait more than half hour for it. Think twice if you're in a hurry 😏 The sushi itself a top notch, all my kids love them. But the salad, salmon soup, gyoza were just average. Pricewise alert: a bit pricey here so watch out so you will not break your wallet 🥲
Piter H — Google review
Ordered a takeaway of Gyu Garlic Fried Rice with Onsen Egg.. The egg was cold when I took it from the packaging. And when I cracked the egg, instead of getting an Onsen Egg, it was a RAW EGG. Like seriously? Definitely one of the worst Sushi Hiro outlet, I have too many bad experiences in this outlet.

Super friendly! Very hygienic! Great food and service! I recommend you visit.

Never ever ever order the fried sushi they are so greasy i can taste every oil 😭😭 I didnt even order that much, it cost half a million with tax, and the only good thing is the salmon sushi which was only two pieces..
Nathania C — Google review
Nice sushi, My first time eat here. Ambience really nice, Staff really polite and always say "dengan senang hati" , means "with pleasure". Salmon really fresh. It's the best salmon I've ever had in Indonesia. Taste similiar in Japan. Sushi's are nice, soft, and full of topping. What I don't like, it's take to long, almost 20 minutes for sushi came. Udon really nice, love the texture and you can also request for spicy. Dry chicken ramen also nice. But if you don't like onions, maybe this is not for you. Because it has a lot of fried onions. Ocha drink free refill. If you want, just order one for two. Because it's free refill until you full 😂

Another level of sushi, all taste better than expected. No wonder this place always crowded during lunch time. The most surprising menu is their fried rice, simple yet flavorful. Definitely must try their salmon fried rice. Great service, delicious food and nice ambience perfect for casual dining with friends and family.

This is a very cozy place to eat. Placed in a strategic position of town, Neo Soho Mall. The mall not so crowded. Plus this resto have enough seat. I cant say the place is big, but enough for you not to wait too long in line. The food is worth it. I give 5 star or 6 if i could.

First experience dining here and kids joined too. We choose to dine in the room and they do have minimum order to fill. The staffs were really nice and attentive. The menus really vary and good selections of sashimi are available too.

One of the best places in the city for sushi. Sit at the sushi bar itself for best results, as the private rooms may sometimes get a delay in service. The omakase is varied and creative, and of course delicious. The chef takes a very personal interest in finding out exactly what the customer enjoys. Love the environment: so very simplistic Japanese without being overbearing or too formal.

So good we wish we had more!! Choose between 6, 7 or 8 course meal. Top tip: go on Tue/ Fri because that’s when the fresh fishes come Ottoro was so fresh it melts in your mouth, seaweed was so crisp when together with rice and uni, it taste like heaven. We even ordered extra uni and oyster to cap it off. Service was good, should book in advance for certainty of a spot. Definitely not a cheap dinner so save up and then eat up well here to celebrate some hard fought victory :)

The best japanese restaurant in town. They have counter seating for sushi, private rooms and teppanyaki table in private "house". The atmosphere is warm and a bit formal. The quality of food is the best for jakarta. Senshu serves seasonal food as well. The service is also very friendly and professional. However the teppanyaki course is overpriced with such quality. This is the one aspect which need improvement in this restaurant. On my recent visits in 2023 I found that the quality of the dishes mostly remained as good as usual, however some were not. Dishes like sahimi stays good. Cooked ones need more improvement for sure, except for the beef. The beef was excellent.

I ordered chef recommendation Menu last nite. It was my 2nd wedding anniversary. We were having 3 adults. It was A bit disappointing for overall. It is a Great place. Foodie are Good but portions are too small. Service is worse. Much below fine dinning standards. I prepared from 3 months ago. I prepared many things. but... When i came i need to explain everything from the beginning. Waitress don’t know everything what i prepared from 3 months ago. Waitress is not polite and not professional. I remember the waitress name was Sari. Nothing you could expect from her. Lack of preparation for our special dinner. Final one. Chef Matsuda doesn’t respect the customers. I called him when we get started, and he came and do not smile and no words coming from his mouth. He is not welcoming without greeting say hi or anythings. I experienced the worse service ever in this restaurant. Not recommended. Way too expensive for this standards.

Kahyangan Japanese Restaurant has been a beloved spot for shabu-shabu enthusiasts since 1973, attracting a diverse crowd of political leaders, celebrities, and devoted foodies. The restaurant's renowned ponzu sauce and grade 9 Wagyu beef from Japan's Ohmi province are just some of the reasons behind its stellar reputation. Not to mention the stunning view of Jakarta's iconic Bundaran HI that adds to the overall dining experience.
Having birthday celebration at Kahyangan, it was truly memorable for me. First of all, I love quiet places, they definitely create the best atmosphere with great choices of music. The quality of their food is amazing, especially the sliced beef (automatically hypersalivation!) We ordered shabu-shabu set for 2 pax and Vina Chocalan CS red wine, honestly I was very full even if I know I usually eat a lot! Glad that I could finish it all. The staffs were very helpful and kind, and they even brought birthday cake and sang for me. A bit embarrassing yet happy! Truly amazing and memorable one! Great job Kahyangan!

One thing that i always admire from a Teppanyaki style restaurant is because of the freshness of the ingredients they use to provide a fresh and hot dishes. And here, indeed they use old menu variations that you could find in any other teppanyaki restaurant everywhere. Here, they can maintain their food quality to their best but personally i am not impressed with their food presentation while nowadays so many new restaurants in their level competing to their best effort to impress their customer.
Alexander T — Google review
The most elegant Japanese Shabu-shabu restaurant in the city. With a skyscraper view to Central Jakarta main roads and perfectly curated food, everything will seem perfect. I love how they maintain the highest quality of beef for their Shabu/Sukiyaki and Teppanyaki. I never cooked them for too long, just a swish. The taste of the beef itself already do justice. The Shabu/Sukiyaki beef set starts from 620.000 to i think about 1.500.000.

One of the authentic Japanese restaurants in town. Make sure booked in advance to get a spot. Chef in action the one i love it the most, give some attraction which is fascinating. Good staffs. Great ambience, especially at night. You’ll get great view of the central jakarta. Tasty food, equivalent with the price. What a pleasant experience have a dinner at kahyangan. Definitely recommended.

While a lot of places are popping out and taking over the top spots of best shabu-shabu place in Jakarta, Kahyangan remains an old school favorite. The beef quality is amazing, and I think that the value for money is just right. Must try the teppanyaki set as well.

Enmaru Japanese Restaurant is a luxurious dining spot located on the 46th floor of a prestigious skyscraper in Jakarta. The restaurant takes pride in its premium quality seafood, sourced from Tsukiji fish market in Tokyo, including striped Jackfish and Hirame flatfish. While offering traditional omakase dishes, Enmaru also infuses fusion flavors to cater to local tastes. Despite being a fine dining establishment, it offers an affordable starting cost.
The view was amazing. And their service was excellent. I really like the flavor of their squid but I think it was a bit overcooked and it wasn’t as big as the one on TikTok. And for me the meat was ok, not wow but I like the way they served it. We paid 1,9 mil rupiah for: 100 gr meat 1 squid 2 sushi rolls - 4 pieces each 1 spinach with egg 2 desserts 1 juice 1 tea 4 bottles mineral water But overall I think you should try this restaurant. Probably will be back to try other dishes.

Nice and quiet ambience, went for weekend dinner. Located in 46th floor at the plaza office tower which you can enter and park from Plaza Indonesia. Highly recommend their sashimi, I tried salmon, surf clam, and yellowtail. Must try too their Ika Sugata Kimchi (Grilled Squid) very tender and easy to chew. Sushi rolls also amazing, Mocktails are good too, very satisfied and will be back for sure 😊

Tldr sashimi was fresh and authentic, service was excellent, and the vibes was great for a meal for two. Need to go step by step via the plaza Indonesia office tower and just inform the staff that you are heading to the restaurant. After a quick elevator ride to the one of the top floors, you find yourself in the quiet and calm of the restaurant entrance. The wait staff were patient and helpful, and once the orders were in, the food came quick. When you start eating, you can enjoy the food and your company while the wait staff are always on hand. Food was great, can be considered pricey but I feel it is standard for the area. Definitely recommend the sashimi.

Sushi restaurant
Tatemukai Signature Omakase Sushi is a hidden gem located on the third floor of Grand Indonesia's East Mall. Despite being relatively unknown, its spectacular food is bound to attract more attention soon. Reservations are a must as they don't accommodate walk-in guests. At the end of your meal, you can leave a message on the provided wooden block. This fine dining Japanese restaurant offers an exceptional omakase experience with two options: Omakase Silver and Omakase Gold.
Tatemukai Omakase in Jakarta is widely praised for its exceptional omakase experience, offering high-quality sashimi and sushi in an intimate setting. Many reviews highlight the creativity of the dishes and the skill of the chef. The dining experience is described as immersive, with fresh ingredients and a beautiful presentation. However, it is considered a premium experience, with a price tag that reflects the exclusivity and quality, making it ideal for special occasions
Ming S — Google review
Great food & nice attentive staff. However, the whole omakase experience depends on what kind of people dine on the same seating… so hopefully no open mouth chewers & cell phone talkers next time 😓 (or at least the staff can ask them to leave the room?)
Jessica S — Google review
Would recommend this restaurant highly, especially for special occasions. Excellent service and very high quality ingredients. Couldn’t have had a better experience
Jennifer N — Google review
I have been a regular customer of Tatemukai Signature Omakase Sushi for a year now, and I have always been impressed with the consistent quality of the food and service. The sushi and sashimi are always fresh and delicious, and the chef takes great care in preparing each dish. I have also appreciated the fact that the menu changes regularly, so I always have something new to try. One of my favorite things about Tatemukai is the omakase experience. Omakase means "I'll leave it up to you," and it's a great way to let the chef create a personalized meal for you based on their expertise and the freshest ingredients available. I've never been disappointed with an omakase at Tatemukai. The service at Tatemukai is also top-notch. The staff is friendly and attentive, and they always make sure that you have everything you need. They are also knowledgeable about the food and can answer any questions you may have. Overall, I highly recommend Tatemukai Signature Omakase Sushi to anyone looking for a truly special dining experience. The food is excellent, the service is impeccable, and the atmosphere is elegant and refined. Here are some specific examples of the consistent quality of the food and service at Tatemukai: The sushi rice is always perfectly cooked, with a light and fluffy texture. The fish is always fresh and flavorful, and it is sliced to perfection. The sauces and accompaniments are well-balanced and complement the fish perfectly. The staff is always friendly and attentive, and they are knowledgeable about the food and can answer any questions you may have. I would also like to emphasize that the menu at Tatemukai changes regularly, but the quality of the food always remains high. This is because the chef uses only the freshest ingredients, and he is constantly experimenting with new dishes.

Amazing omakase experience! My fifth time coming to this restaurant, i can certainly say that this is the best omakase in jakarta! definitely worth the wait and money!! Not only the food is amazing, whats best is i’m so full after the dinner! Usually with fine dining, i never felt full or even close to full, but this is a whole new experience!! Amazing food and being full at the same time ❤️❤️ lovely ambience and service, despite being here for the fifth time, never got bored with the courses, because it’s always different every time and freshness guaranteed ❤️❤️

Had the Omakase here. Outstanding food from sushi, to cooked dishes, fried rice the works. I think what made it even more special was that we had the Japanese chef all to our party of 4 that night. This was my 3rd visit and he made a big difference. Not that the other chefs were bad but he had a great personality and could explain you with a sense of humour what he was serving and why.

Fancy Restaurant, really like the foie gras, the best one I ever try. Delicious. I don’t like the sashimi, but I don’t like all sashimi, so it’s not their fault, I still give them 5 stars. The Chef is very friendly, we talk about how to perfectly cook the scallops. Nice.

A very good Restaurant which we will choose again in Future. The staff is first class, excellent outstanding politeness with perfect Service. The food is very good but not excellent. The rice for the Sushi was extremely cold and Served already a few minutes after ordered. Seems to be the rice was in the fridge before. The Portion for Edamame was extremely Small. Japan is always worth a trip, and when you don’t have the time, it’s always worth to have Japanese food. And when in Senopati, this restaurant is a great choice. Okuzono is beautifully appointed with many corners that feel very private and cozy. Expect to find izakaya style food - ie lots of small bites that make for great variety in tastes. For 2 Pax best to order 3-4 dishes minimum. Expect to pay around 700-800k for 2.

This is a fun place to dine in because how they arrange their dining area to include those dine in boxes that fits 4 people. Located in a strategic place, they have a variety of Japanese food from many areas in Japan. I particularly enjoyed their hot pot salmon nabe dish originated from Hokkaido. Their chicken karaage with tartar sauce is a great starter. They also have a nice Shiratama Cream Zenzai (sweet red bean soup with matcha jelly, rshiratama rice dumplings, topped with chantily cream) which originated from Kyoto.

Food wise it is ok, but unfortunately, there is no segregation of smoking and non-smoking area. I felt like I have to pay with health of my lungs. Fresh, sweet & unbelievably tasty (didn't like uni until I tried theirs...and scallop: perfecto!) Robata is also fantastic (though the price of the fish might be quite steep). We tried Kinki robata & gave thumbs up for the fish! Place is spacious, so we were less worried for dine in. Bottom line, we enjoyed a great dinner!!

Went for lunch on a weekday and its decently quiet, a few private space with no minimum charge which is helpful in this time. Tried two set lunch Takumi Gozen, this 195k set lunch is really filling from fresh nigiri sushi to grilled beef slice, salmon and minced chicken with egg on top, chawan mushi too. The other set was the miso black cod at 210k which is also decent price for the size compared to other japanese restaurant. The way the fish is grilled is also unique, a must visit if you are around that area.

Located inside senayan golf clubhouse. The resto is quite big and spacious. Inside there is a big open earth fireplace where they grilled the robata. Customers highly recommend trying the omakase experience for a delightful culinary adventure prepared by artisan chefs.
At first, I was hesitant, but to my surprise, it was delicious! The fish was super fresh, and the fusion sushi I tried had just the right balance of flavors (I usually don’t enjoy sushi with too much mayo). The tuna mayo inari was my favorite—the combination of fresh, savory, and sweet was oddly satisfying but so good! 😆✨ Will come back for try the omakaze

A cozy hidden japanese gem I found in Kemang neighborhood. They only have by the bar and not much seating but the quality of freshness and flavor is so good. I like that it’s also mostly quiet in ambiance. My favorite here is the Bomb and their sushi rolls but curious to comeback for their eat all you can Omakase which has wider range of menu to order from. Their miso soup is also so flavorful and has some bits of tuna - sooo good! Recommended for: Japanese in Kemang, omakase Japanese, eat all you can Japanese

Food: 4.5/5 I had their 8 course omakase and it was such a great experience especially since it was only less than Rp500K for two with the buy 1 get 1 promo on Chope. Each dish in the omakase are traditional Japanese dish that you might have tried elsewhere, but the freshness and the quality of the ingredients they use really makes the dining experience here stand out. Service: 4.7/5 The service from the chefs and the waiters were great. They were all friendly and explains the dish as they serve them to you. They can also cater to your requests if you want certain things taken out from your dishes such as wasabi or if you want your dish to be seasoned more. Atmosphere: 3.7/5 The dining area is actually quite small and you sit in a bar style stool where you can see the chefs prepare your food. The interior and vibe is standard which is a shame since a semi private dining experience like this could be elevated more with a nice atmosphere. The area where I sat was also kind of hot since it’s close to their stove.

A hidden gem in a small ruko in PIK, managed by Sushi Masa group. You rarely find a good (and affordable) omakase joint in the PIK area, so this is definitely one to keep for the books. Every dish was quite enjoyable and satisfying despite the affordable price. It's not exactly a top-tier premium luxury omakase, but for its price, they definitely give you the most bang for your buck. It's expensive enough for you to come for special occasions, but affordable enough for you to not break the bank to come here. I would recommend and would definitely come back eventually.

The ingredients, the taste, the menu selections are amazing. I think it is worth the price. The cheff would love to answer your questions and describe the food to you. Opened in 2022 and part of the Sushi Masa group. A very small place that sits 12 ppl only, so you must reserve first. This is a pocket-friendly omakase place but it does not discount the freshness and the taste 💫💫 Our mouth was satisfied with the 23-course omakase, it’s called Umibe No Natsu. It came with kani jelly, oyster, beef yakimono, 12 pcs sushi, sashimi, hand roll and many more. All was just yum! So yes, they still keep up with the big name of Sushi Masa. Overall, I am impressed with the service and the taste. I like the intimate ambience and the knowledgeable chef. Hope they can keep it up.

An overall good exprience as my first omakase. The chef was pleasant and was patient facing my mom’s pickiness. The food was also very nice! Recommend for an affordable omakase

Value Omakase for the money, especially the lunch packages. Some fishes are good some are so so. Knock one star because the rice taste was not quite right and the wasabi wasn’t fresh.

The sashimi are all fresh, sushi tastes really delicious. Very very nice ambience, great service and will surely be back. Prices are reasonable. The whole package is very nice.

Last weekend I celebrate my birthday at Ichiba Omakase, I choose the 21 course menu. It was an amazing experience. It didn’t disappoint and I absolutely love their food. They carefully prepare each dish and every course is based on your preferences and what's in season. Chef Indra kindly explained each course which made my experience more exciting. The food, the service, the experience, it's worth every penny!

Kokuu is a hidden gem that offers an exquisite omakase dining experience, nestled within the charming "Face restaurant." As you step inside, you're greeted by a warm ambiance created by soft lighting and soothing jazz music. The intimate setting features just 24 seats, all facing the chef's preparation area—truly the heart of this culinary theater. Every seven weeks, Kokuu refreshes its omakase menu, ensuring each visit feels unique and exciting.
Kokuu has one of the best Omakase in Jakarta. I ordered the 9 course menu. With the add on and drink (ocha), it totals to 2jt per pax. I would say it was comparatively pricey for 9 course. Nonetheless the atmosphere is much better and private than the other omakase place.

A Truly Unforgettable Omakase Experience at Kokuu. I had the absolute pleasure of enjoying what I can personally find to be the best omakase dining experience I’ve had in Jakarta—at Kokuu. From the moment we stepped in, the restaurant’s serene ambiance, refined interior, and warm hospitality made us feel as though we had been transported straight to Japan. Each course was carefully curated by Chef Abe with masterful attention to flavor and presentation. The ingredients were fresh, the techniques flawless, and the visual appeal of every dish was simply stunning. Jenny was a wonderful host —gracious, passionate, and incredibly friendly. They surprised us with a thoughtful birthday celebration for my husband and even gave us a small parting gift at the end of the night, which made the experience all the more special. It was an evening of exquisite food, heartfelt gestures, and genuine hospitality. I highly recommend Kokuu to anyone seeking an authentic and elevated omakase experience in Jakarta.

Hidden on a quiet street in Senayan, The Kokuu is a sanctuary for the senses. Each dish is a meditation, each flavor a brushstroke in a story of craftsmanship and care. That’s the next level of the place ! This was, without a doubt, the best Omakase I’ve experienced so far — and I savored every moment. Our menu was masterfully curated by Ms. Jenny and Chef Abe🙏, the brilliant food producer and, in my eyes, the number one chef. Every plate was art you could taste. If you find yourself in Jakarta, The Kokuu is not just a restaurant — it’s an unforgettable journey you must take. Ms.Jenny was extraordinary host, together with Chef Abe hard to beat , thank you so much for this incredible experience! Warm regards Rebecca

Celebrated Valentine's at Kokuu last week, and everything was superb! Dare I say Kokuu serves the best omakase in town. Japanese dishes made with high-quality ingridients, but incorporating sauces and techniques from different cuisines - courtesy of Abe-san's diverse past. Dishes look traditional and simple, but the flavors are anything but. Each bite was a delicacy of taste and textures. This omakase doesn't serve just a variety of fishes, and instead, it's a well thought-out progression of dishes. Pictures are from the January 2024 menu. It was one of the best tempuras I've had. EVER. We ordered the ankimo tempura (off-menu), which was amazing. Rich, creamy, velvety butter like ankimo married with a tempura crust that's fluffy yet airy, and the perfect sauce pairing. The unagi tamagoyaki tempura (!!!) was just as good. Fluffy tamago, crispy unagi, perfect tempura crust, and savory Japanese pepper sesame sauce. Portions were just right. We did not leave the dinner feeling unfulfilled or overwhelmed. Stellar service and hospitality, which definitely elevated our dining experience. Jenny kept us entertained throughout the whole dinner and was all-smiles. If you are looking for a restaurant to have a nice dinner, then this is definitely the place to be at.

Never have I experience such an amazing dining before. Not only the food was great, the service was BEYOND AMAZING! Definitely gonna recommend this place to friends and family. Every bite of their food was incredible, its very unexpected in a very good way, very filling and satisfying. My highlight for tonight was the foie grass and sukiyaki 👌👌 the dessert. Basically everything they serve was good. We came here for my birthday and i got a mini bouquet, a gift, some extra gifts and a polaroid photo 🥹♥️ What blew my mind, its my first time being sent off after dining by the chef and his wife. Such a great hospitality, bless you both Chef Abe & Jenny! Hopefully we will come again very soon with their new menu.

🌸 A Truly Memorable First Omakase Experience at Kokuu 🌸 We (my bf & i) visited Kokuu for our first-ever omakase experience, and it was absolutely unforgettable. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed so warmly (jenny san especially 🥺) — the atmosphere was calm, elegant, and felt very personal. Each course was beautifully prepared by Chef Abe san and thoughtfully explained by Jenny san. The ingredients were incredibly fresh, and the flavors were delicate, balanced, and surprising in the best way. You can really feel the passion and care behind every dish. What stood out the most was the attention to detail — not just in the food, but in the entire experience. We didn’t just have a meal, we had a journey. It felt intimate, mindful, and very special. Kokuu has set the bar so high for omakase. We left feeling full, happy, and already looking forward to coming back. Highly recommend it if you're looking for something unique and soulful. 🍣✨

The foods were nice. I like it. The chairs are comfy and I can see the chef cooking in front of me. The price is pretty expensive, it’s 600k. But most of all, it’s a good buffet restaurant. Great job.👏

The best Japanese restaurant in the Jtown. It’s luxurious place and also located in the top tier hotel in Jakarta in the very strategic location as well. So bare with the traffic conditions there. But the foods and the desserts are the best quality and seriously delicious. I’d love to coming back again soon!

Fresh sashimi and seafood, also live cooking show from the chef here. Recommended to select a handful of dishes which are fresh and appropriate to our taste. The soup, ice cream and dessert also great. Some of the menu will need additional order and payment, need to ask waitress clearly before order

Nestled within the elegant confines of Le Meridien Jakarta, NO NA MA Japanese Restaurant is a haven for sushi enthusiasts and lovers of authentic Japanese cuisine. This tranquil spot invites you to indulge in an array of classic dishes, including their standout tuna sashimi topped with fresh salmon roe that promises a delightful burst of flavor. For those seeking traditional fare, options like shrimp tempura and chicken teriyaki are sure to satisfy.
The atmosphere is relaxed. The service was amazing and we appreciated the kindness and friendliness of the staff. One of the staffs, Leon, served us with fluent English and added a touch of japanese expressions to set the mood. We had the regular all you can eat package and we were able to try all of the dishes on the menu since we were allowed to order one piece per person for each item in the menu. The quality of the food is good, not exceptional, however, this does not make the experience less delightful. There is a selection of drinks from the menu a la carte, I think some of the drinks complement the food and are a nice pair.

Staying at Le Méridien and decided to try some sushi for lunch, ended up at No Na Ma, and it was a great choice! I was looking for a place with a strong Japanese vibe, and this spot totally delivered. Tried their deluxe ayce menu. The variety was pretty good, and the taste was definitely better than most sushi spots you’d find in a mall. For the price, I’d say it’s worth it. The service was well-paced, not too fast, not too slow, just right. The ambiance really stood out for me. There’s a beautiful koi pond right in the middle of the restaurant, which adds such a calming, authentic touch. Would definitely come back!

Restaurant Sudirman: Had an amazing Eat All You Can Japanese food at NO NA MA! For only IDR399K++ It’s actually really worth it for the very premium ingredients and variety of menu. My favorite was the sushi rolls, beef, and grilled fish! Felt so fresh and totally reminds me a lot to Japan. Also love the vibes! so unique and pretty with Koi Pond and the private room was also comfy. Service was top notch, all was good. Really recommend for your visit.

I recently visited No Na ma Restaurant for an Iftar all-you-can-eat sushi buffet. Overall, the service was great—the waitstaff were friendly and helpful. We were given 1.5 hours for the buffet, which was a reasonable amount of time. However, in my opinion, the sushi itself was underwhelming, The sushi rice didn't hold together well, so it fell apart when picked up with chopsticks. Some of the salmon sashimi had a fishy smell, possibly due to improper handling of not too fresh or being on the serving table too long at room temperature. Many of the sushi rolls were quite basic, mostly filled with crabsticks and cucumber, with variations only in the toppings. On the positive side, the steamed fish was delicious and fresh, without any fishy odor. However, the chicken katsu disappeared real soon after Iftar and was never refilled, which was disappointing. Since Le Meridien is a French hotel, I had high expectations for the desserts. Unfortunately, the crème caramel was a letdown, it was dense and cakey rather than smooth and silky as it should be. On the other hand, the tea brûlée was excellent, with a creamy texture and a lovely Earl Grey fragrance. However, the caramelized sugar on top wasn’t evenly burnt so there were still granulated sugar on plate, which affected the overall experience. As a Japanese restaurant in a five-star hotel, I think No Na Ma should pay more attention to the quality and consistency of their food. Hopefully, they will improve these aspects in the future.
Wirastusrini T — Google review
I booked the sushi bar expecting a proper experience, but upon arrival was asked to move since it was “reserved.” Odd, considering I had made a “sushi bar” reservation too. Instead, I was placed in an empty room by myself, which felt more like being stowed away than seated. The food itself was good — fresh and well-prepared. But the service left a lot to be desired. While waiting for my final course, I sat for over 20 minutes with no sign of it, until I asked about the delay. I explained I had an appointment and preferred it be taken off the bill. Strangely, the dish appeared 20 seconds later — cold. The meat was cold, fridge cold. Just simmered on the grill for a second, and the herb butter was still rock-hard. Overall, while the quality of the food has potential, the lack of attention and odd handling of reservations made the experience frustrating. If service improves, this place could shine, but right now it misses the mark.

Nestled within the luxurious Gran Melia Jakarta, Yoshi Izakaya offers an exquisite Omakase dining experience that is a true homage to Japanese culinary traditions. Under the expert guidance of Chef Hiroyuki Tanaka, guests embark on an eight-course journey that celebrates authentic flavors and premium ingredients. Each dish is meticulously crafted to reflect both creativity and tradition, starting with tantalizing appetizers that set the stage for a memorable meal.
Tried their Oishii brunch, an all you can eat style Japanese spread 548k++ per pax (including free flow ocha). Do note that they have a buy 1 get 1 free deal, so it’s like 548k++ for 2 persons. The Japanese options that can be ordered include sushi, sashimi, udon, plenty of appetizers and robatayaki & teppanyaki. Lobster, scallops, prime beef and king prawns are excluded but serve as an add on orders. Do note that when they are fully booked, they will some of the dishes a buffet-styled spread. But when it is a slow day, they will make everything by order. In my experience, their food selections were pretty good (some dishes were skippable) and fairly fresh! And honestly, for a buy 1 get 1 deal, they are definitely value for money!

Goma Tofu, Wagyu and Foie Gras Chawanmushi, Salmon Tuna Hamachi Sashimi, Clam Miso Soup, & Foie Gras Teppanyaki are excellent. The only thing that's slightly bothersome is the smell of lamb (lamb teppanyaki) and Wagyu (Wagyu teppanyaki) still lingers with its distinctive aroma. Overall....all the dishes are satisfying. And not to forget, the service is excellent, with warm smiles and friendly hospitality.

This was my first time dining with my family at Yoshi Izikaya. It was truly an extraordinary experience. The food, of course, was amazing, just as other reviewers have noted. The outstanding highlight for me, however, was the service aspect. Thanks to the team that served us during lunch consisted of Cici, Gunawan, Reza, David, Anna, and Dicky. They were mutually supportive in providing seamless and prompt service. All menu explanations were given informatively, and recommendations were made seriously by further exploring each of our individual preferences before giving a verdict. As a result, our dining experience here was elevated. We will be returning here soon, even if only for the incredibly pleasant vibes from the staff. Continued success to Yoshi Izikaya, and keep up the great work!

The Japanese at Sari Pacific Jakarta has been a prominent figure in the Japanese cuisine scene since 1976. The restaurant offers high-quality Japanese dishes, with the option to sit at their Robatayaki counter and watch as skilled chefs grill fresh ingredients over hot charcoal. Guests have praised the warm and accommodating staff, who provide excellent service even during busy times. The buffet is recommended for sushi and sashimi lovers, particularly those fond of salmon.

Sumire Restaurant, located in the Grand Hyatt Hotel, offers a beautiful and authentic Japanese dining experience. The traditional decor combines bamboo, wood, stone, and paper to create a charming ambiance reminiscent of a Japanese home. The restaurant is known for its world-class cuisine and impeccable service. While it may come at a cost, the flawlessly executed dishes such as sushi, teppan plates, and sukiyaki make it worth the price.
Sumire Japanese Restaurant offers a delightful culinary experience that stands out even amidst a bustling drinking scene. During my visit, I had the pleasure of trying the salmon tartare and the prawn-salmon-fish broth dobin mushi, both of which were exceptional. The salmon tartare was fresh and vibrant, perfectly seasoned, and served with a delightful combination of textures that left a lasting impression. Each bite was a harmonious blend of flavors, showcasing the quality of the ingredients. The dobin mushi was equally impressive; the prawn and fish broth was rich and aromatic, with the delicate umami notes elevating the dish to new heights. It was a comforting bowl that warmed me right up. What truly enhanced the experience was the staff. They were not only helpful but also genuinely polite, making sure I felt welcomed and attended to throughout my meal. Their attentive service complemented the food perfectly, allowing me to fully enjoy the moment. Given the quality of the dishes I had, I’m sure they’ll be just as impressive. The freshness and presentation of their seafood make it a must-try. I can only imagine how delicious they must be. The combination of their exceptional food and attentive service makes for a perfect dining experience. Overall, Sumire is a gem that offers a sophisticated yet relaxed atmosphere. Whether you're in the mood for a quiet dinner or a meal in the middle of a lively night out, this restaurant caters to both. One of the highlights of dining at Sumire is its convenient location next to a famous bar, making it the perfect spot to sneak away for a quick meal during your drinking session. Tldr pricey food and drinks, but food is well done in Japanese style. Service was excellent and the place has an authentic, cool Japanese vibe. You could probably find less expensive authentic Japanese food around the same area, but can't find the same aesthetics or service at the place. If you take the private room, be prepared to pay more to hold the room but it would be worth it for big groups. Wide selection of drinks on menu but sadly most not available at time of dining. Highly recommend the skewers.

One of Japanese fine dining restaurants in the heart of Jakarta. Located inside a five star hotel: Grand Hyatt Jakarta, you could expect that this restaurant is a real deal In fact, from the ambiance I could say that they are indeed a five star worthy. Their top notch japanese decorations almost made me forget that I'm in Jakarta However, as a real foodie myself, their food was average at best (if not below). Most of them tasted bland, they charged premium to serve something that sushi tei (which cost way less) could do twice better Maybe the place is perfect for business meeting. But not for someone who is craving for the real food Definitely not worth revisiting

Fine Japanese restaurant with tasty selection of popular dishes. It was a sumptuous lunch today as we ordered 5 main dishes and there were four of us. Truly enjoyed the beef teriyaki as it was a mixture of aromatic beef and fresh green peppers, bean sprouts and onion grilled with the sweet tasting teriyaki sauce. The chicken teriyaki was fantastic, my son loved it. Crispy skin soaked with teriyaki sauce with tender meat on the inside, almost tempted him ordered another one. Another dish that topped my list was the salmon grill, with butter ponzu sauce, recommended for those who favor salty with a touch of sourness, while the salmon teriyaki is the sweet tasting version. Also ordered chicken katsu curry, which was also good, crunchy and dry chicken, combined with the thick curry sauce will keep you wanting for more. Heck, even the miso soup and salad on the side are above average. The meal was also made enjoyable with comfortable setting of warm cored lighting and authentic Japanese ambience

First timer came to this restaurant, located in the heart of jakarta, don’t worry with the carpark, there are a lot to park your vehicles. The place is quite hidden, until we call it a hidden gem 💎. Surprisingly, the food was awesome and so delicious, it taste so japan yet still align with our indonesian taste. We ordered some food and can’t pick which one of them was our fave, cause we thought all of them are 💛. The price is quite okay cause they serve a big portion for each food, so sharing is the best idea. The server also very nice and helpful, thank you! Two suggestions, maybe for the smoking area you could put some concern cause the room feels and still smells of cigarette smoke eventhough it is unoccupied. The room maybe need more light a bit, feels so dark and obscure. Will surely back again to this restaurant!

Located in the basement of a high rise building where the offices open during weekdays, so better to come during weekend lunch. The staffs are great with warm smiles 😊 and the foods are good. We order Hamburg in hot plate which is so juicy. The Rafute in Okinawa Style is tender and the soup is Umami. Also the Saikoro cubes are tender. All foods are recommend During weekends there are also 30% discounts. Worth money

Sakana Midplaza✨ Good authentic Japanese restaurant Located at Midplaza Sudirman So i ordered Tontoki Don Set 🐷 Delicious pork dish... with a perfect balance of sweet and savory flavors (more towards a sweeter taste), topped with crispy fried onions Deliciouss 🤤 This is a set menu, so you'll enjoy some side dishes like pudding, miso soup, and a fresh salad 👍👍 Although the prices are a bit steep, the tasty dishes and cozy atmosphere make it all worthwhile! Just Try it !! Will comeback again 🤗 Thank you Sakana Midplaza 👏

A great place to eat for people who need privacy and don't want to be around other people. Comfortable, the atmosphere is authentic, the service is super friendly and polite. There are rooms with a capacity of 2 people, 4 people and more. Suitable for deeptalk. The food is okay, the price is worth the taste. This restaurant immediately made it to my list of favorite Japanese restaurants. Good job sakana! I will definitely come back here again🫶🏻

Got the oden as appetizer, the broth is too salty. The fishcakes are good. Main: unagi don, gyu truffle don and salmon shioyaki. All the main dish: rice are way too much and the miso are beyond tolerable level of saltiness. The unagi don is good, has a balanced taste. The gyu don, the beef are tender, the crunchiness of the fried garlic def adds on to the flavor. Nice balance. The salmon shioyaki, nothing special with this one.

One of the best Japanese restaurants in town! First time here and everyone was surprised with all the quality and delicious food served. Their fried chicken volcano is legit, their tontoki bowl and saba is the best. The air conditioner is a bit hot, but overall the atmosphere is good. Will definitely come here again!

Noodle shop
Echigoya Ramen is a popular spot known for its homemade noodles with a perfect bouncy texture, served in hearty ramen bowls alongside Japanese classics. The tonkotsu and chasiu ramen are particularly famous among pork enthusiasts. Customers can customize their bowls with various toppings like butter, Japanese spinach, spicy onion leaves, and kimchi.
Crowded, small place, but the food is definitely worth the wait if you are looking for some nice Japanese Ramen. Price is affordable and the service is great! My favorite dish is the cheese potato wedges! Those are to die for! Would recommend trying this place out for sure!
James B — Google review
One of the best Japanese ramen in Jakarta. If you like strong flavor, go for the samurai tsukemen. It has chashu inside the dipping soup too, so don't worry about the only 1 slice of chashu on your ramen. Dilute your dipping soup with the wari dashi after finishing your noodles to drink it as a reward, it's really heart-warming. However you might want to ask them for smaller type of noodles, because the default noodles are thick, heavy and they send you a serious portion, that bowl is seriously deep. Gyoza is okay, ebi furai was a bit underwhelming, taste like frozen ebi furai. Another complain that I have was why does it comes with hard boiled egg ? Why not ajitama ? I want my egg comes with runny, soft yolk on my ramen. Second complain is I wish they straighten the noodles before they put it in the bowl, the noodles are long, kinda tangled and it's hard to pick them up with the chopstick.
J F — Google review
echiran ramen is super delicious, i love the super strong pork broth, the chili sauce can be separate by request if you don't like spicy at all. for me, hard boild egg inside the ramen is not match, i prefer the ajitama. ajitama is soft, yummy and well seasoning, just perfect. pork fried gyoza also very delicious even eat without any sauce (or soy sauce). i don't like the chicken karaage, taste yummy but just not worth the price. the lettuce garnish was dirty, i don't now they wash it or not, it can contaminated the chicken karaage. 👎 ocha can be refilled 1 times. staff was humble and fast about everything. the dine in area always full, waiting list up to 30 minutes but it worth to queueing. the restaurant not really big but not small too, the place is full of customers. AC was cool enough for many people, not the cozy dine in area because all staff always running rushing to serve all customers. noisy but easy to talk. they have clean and big toilet inside the restaurant. parking in front of the store but seems full. I'm using public transportation (MRT) to get here. walking distance from blok M MRT station

Great place to have your Japanese meal. Tastes very real and is not that expensive. Service was good. Food was nice. The place is comfy, and I like the food plating style. I recommend this place if you are looking for nice Japanese food in South Jakarta
Michael M — Google review
An authentic ramen spot, and the japanese owner is frequently there. They serve pork and chicken here, so great for everyone. I strongly believe that the miso tsukemen is the best thing on their menu, with the thick noodles of course. The ocha is free refill, the gyoza is amazing, and the karaage is freshly fried and so tasty. Love this spot, will keep coming back.
Joshua D — Google review
We had the Jakarta ramen and echiran ramen, Jakarta is nice but its on the salty side. Echiran more on the creamy side. Was disappointed with the egg, it wasn't the runny yolk ramen egg. The thick noodles is too al dente, too chewy for my liking. I prefer the thin noodles better.
Zerbin S — Google review
Delicious ramen 👍, love the broth, karaage 👍 gyoza 👍 cha-han (fried rice) 👍 crowded even after lunch hour, cosy establishment, friendly staff, you could see how they make noodles on the spot, for individuals you could sit at the bar, some Japanese comics available. Got lucky with parking nearby.

I love it! Full packed during lunch, waited around 10-15 mins to get table. We ordered Toripaitan Ramen, Echiran Ramen, Toriechiran, Mini Chahan, Tori karaage, then mochi for dessert. All were delicious! Friendly service. Maybe should cooling down the room temperature as it was quite crowded.

Tatemukai is a chic and stylish dining destination nestled within the Grand Indonesia Mall, where culinary artistry meets authentic Japanese flavors. Under the expert guidance of Chef Tate-san, this restaurant offers an exquisite omakase experience that whisks diners away to Japan through a meticulously crafted 11-course menu. Each dish showcases fresh ingredients, from luxurious nigiri topped with foie gras to rich otoro sushi made from premium tuna belly.
Oishī is the right word, the taste explode in your mouth, the foie gras is very best, good service too, thank you for the omakase Tate-san
Yung — Google review
For Omakase, it is still a Long way for them to improve! Few comments since I been to many: The light shine on our food and not on the Chef, the chopper supposedly to be a wooden chipper and not plastic! Orders the 2.2m rupiah course meal with Uni in the menu but the uni sushi shall have heated the seaweed wrap and the sushi rice shall be warm and not cold! The foie gras used twice on the sushi meal a little too much! The otoro sashimi kind of generous..! Overall experience is good and need to improve the sequence and the creativity of the sushi made !
Andrew G — Google review
Probably the best omakase in Jakarta, but beware of the price! Its super expensive
Sion W — Google review
Best omakase in Jakarta, the sushi is really good.
Peter E — Google review
My best omakase experienced in Jakarta. The sushi preparation is more of contemporary, but the ingredients are fresh and the portions generous. The experience starts from the moment you push through the very non-descript door and service by the staff as they guide you to your seat and explaining each dish. Definitely expensive but worth every dollar.
Victor D — Google review
One of the best omakase fine dining in Jakarta. The head chef is a native Japanese. The price is very expensive, but it's worth it if you're looking for an authentic Japanese fine dining experience in Jakarta.

Top omakase restaurant in Jakarta. Small restaurant with no more than 30-40 counter seating. The chef prepares the dishes in the counter and serve them directly to every guest. Some dishes can be quite exotic. Memorable experience with my sons.

Place: Great! But the background music was a *meh Service: excellent! Indonesian chefs, I assume they dont speak Japanese (except few greetings) but hey, I dont speak it either. Food: varieties of fresh ingredients. They claimed shipment every Monday and Friday. So choose your timing wisely. Seat availability: Great! Reservation is a phone call away. At time of our reservation there were a lot of empty seats. Food: Great if you are Indonesian. Chefs told us menus are designed for Indonesians (mostly sweet). However the wasabi tasted bland. Many of our menus are charred on the surface (they put hot iron rod/stamp on Toro and Foie Gras). Avoid: if you are Japanese and/or looking for authentic Japanese experience. Price: I think it is pricy compare to other Omakase. On October 2018 was IDR 2Mio++/person for a 10 course omakase. No Uni, you need to prepare budget for 12 course omakase with Uni. Portion: very generous! I must admit I eat like a devil. I felt full on the 8th meal and pushed myself really hard to finish the 10th (and desert). Opportunity: they offered us a 'true customised' omakase but chef's recommendation is to come in a group. You could select the ingredients (they will import the ingredients a week prior your reservation). An easy B- (3.8 out of 5) for me.

Marufuku is a down-to-earth Japanese restaurant located in Blok M, Kebayoran Baru. Since 1996, it has been serving authentic Japanese cuisine with a menu offering nearly 300 dishes including ramen, sushi, grilled, fried, and steamed dishes. The restaurant's decor resembles an authentic Japanese setting with traditional sliding doors and wooden and bamboo furniture.
Marufuku has been in Blok M for a long time. They have a lot of Japanese menu and drink. I ordered Tenzaru Cold Udon Set at lunch. Udon texture is better than expected, which is well-cooked and chewy. Tempura and maki is just so so. As many other reviewers mentioned, atmosphere is dark. So it affects tasty also because all foods look darker than its real look. Anyway, Marufuku is still best place for sake. Sake price is very kind comparing to other Japanese restaurants. I will be here once I miss sake.

We came on Saturday noon for quick lunch and we didnt order much since we already half full from cafe hopping around blok m. We ordered sakura nigiri (120K) it was ok.. rice bit mushy. My fave was their Ika nigiri. Yakitori (30K) very good! Chicken thigh was juicy. Tsukune (30K) came in big pieces, also good. Always love old japanese resto like this. Friendly waitress too!

It’s fantastic! It’s an old Japanese restaurant that serve a lot of menus and my expectations for the set menu is fulfilled. The food and portion of the set menu made your stomach full enough, your tastebud danced happily, and you’ll experience the genuine of Japanese service restaurant, they serve you like you’re a king and very informative. It’s 5/5 for me, but unfortunately, like most Japanese restaurants, smoking is permitted in dining area. I got 20% discounts!! I’m bored with the hype so I returned to the traditional. So, I recommend this place if you want your tastebud got happy with genuine taste of Japanese food.

Visited 28 Oct 23. The food was only okay but the service was very good. Typical of a Japanese restaurant. I did not like the premise because it was a bit tight and not so cold. It's a fully smoking space so for those who don't like Smokey places do not come. The prices of the food was quite fair and the portions are quite good. There was some Japanese patrons so that should make this place good. Overall was a good dining experience and everything was smooth.

Japanese restaurant
Kikugawa Restaurant is a long-standing Japanese cafe located in the Cikini subdistrict of Central Jakarta. Established in 1969, it holds the distinction of being the first Japanese restaurant to open in Indonesia after the end of Japanese occupation. The restaurant's name pays homage to its founder, Terutake Kikuchi, a former Japanese soldier who settled in Indonesia post-independence.
Authentic the oldest Japanese Restaurant in Jakarta. The taste are original with plenty of menu. My favorite is Kiku set. And today I choosed Ume set, a complete set menu with salmo sashimi, salmon sushi, beef sukiyaki, yakitori, tempura and miso soup. Very big foods with reasonable price around Rp219.000. I also like another kiku set and lunch box set. Must try also salmo gyoza and tenzura soba. The staff are very kind and helpfull. The place's vibe is very japanese, with the paintings and traditional instrument japanese music. It opens during lunch time and dinner time. No need reservation, but if go around lunch time it could be crowded.
Dwi A — Google review
I came here because of the hype on social media. TikTok said that it was legendary, authentic, and delicious. The first two parts might be true but the delicious part is kind of hit and miss when I came there. I arrive at 1.15pm (they close at 3 pm and open again for dinner), and order ume set and zaru udon. The yakitori are cold, the tempura are cold but the sukiyaki is hot. I think since they cook it at different speeds but need to serve it together it creates inconsistency in the warmness part of the meal. The taste itself is not that special. The broth of the zaru udon is too sweet for my liking. But at least, the sashimi is good enough. The atmosphere itself is quiet, the music is not loud so people can talk quietly. The servers are nice. Maybe it was not my day. But will I come back again? I think not in the near future.
Harits P — Google review
It’s one of the authentic Japanese restaurant in central Jakarta since 1969, founded by a Japanese. This restaurant can be considered the longest-running Japanese restaurant. We tried the steamboat which is very good. Accompanied by a really soothing Japanese instrumental. The ambiance is more into natural vibe which brings warmth nuance. I recommend this restaurant

I love the food here, their soba and tempura are amazing! The place is simple and old school, quite hidden if you didn’t know, but their food are quite authentic. Each menu that we tried is good, I enjoyed it. It seems the favorites are tempura and bento set.
Andre B — Google review
Kikugawa's dishes are incredible and have a wonderful home-cooked style—generous portions at a reasonable price. I can't get enough of their gindara teriyaki! A must-try dish because the sauce perfectly combines sweet and savory; add a squeeze of lemon to enhance the freshness. Disclaimer, for some, the sauce and soup here may taste too bland, unlike any other Japanese restaurant. I love all the foods I’ve tried, except for their desserts because I haven’t tried them yet. All the foods felt homey and comforting. The staff were all quick to respond. I’ll come back for the desserts.
Ellena S — Google review
One of the "japanese vibe" restaurant in town. A legendary one. Ordered Zaru Soba (experience cold soba with dipping sauce), Tempura Soba (kake soba/hot soba serves with some tempura), and Kiku Set. Kiku set is a full dish (not a complete one) with sashimi, yakitori, sukiyaki, tempura, miso soup and steamed rice. Calming with neat and tidy interior, love the vibe.

The so called ‘first Japanese resto in Jakarta’ the interior does resemblance traditional Japanese restaurant with long standing history. I tried chicken nanban set, it was great, however my colleague ordered their beef teriyaki set and it didn’t look apetizing at all, which I agree with. The udon also wasn’t look great so if you happened to have some meals here, I do recommend to just order the chicken menu.

Overpriced to hell, most of their "wagyu" and "otoro" is fake, storaged badly, and dont get me started on the price, i was charged 2.4 jt for a steak i could barely chew and thats not even overexxagerating it, this resto is a clear scam, as a steak enthusiast i can tell the badly cooked 2.4 jt steak i was served was probably worth around 200,000 to 400,000 in reality too.

Sushi Sei is a classic Japanese restaurant located in Jakarta, known for its inventive sushi rolls, sashimi, and traditional dishes. The recently refurbished establishment has been serving top-quality sushi for years, attracting devoted fans of authentic Japanese cuisine. Popular menu items include the rainbow-colored chirashi bowls and the signature buttery salmon belly aburi. Unlike fusion-style rolls, Sushi Sei offers an authentic taste of Japan.
Sushi Sei is a gem for those who appreciate the artistry and authenticity of Japanese sushi. From the moment you walk in, the restaurant exudes a traditional ambiance, creating a perfect setting for a genuine sushi experience. The chefs, with their meticulous attention to detail, prepare each dish with precision, showcasing their deep knowledge and skill. The highlight of Sushi Sei is undoubtedly its sashimi. The fish is incredibly fresh, with each slice almost melting in your mouth. You can taste the quality and care that goes into sourcing the seafood, and the cuts are always perfect—thin, delicate, and full of flavor. Whether you opt for the tuna, salmon, or more exotic options like yellowtail or mackerel, you are guaranteed a top-tier experience. The sushi is equally impressive. Service at Sushi Sei is friendly and knowledgeable, with staff eager to guide you through the menu and provide recommendations. It's clear that the focus here is on providing an authentic and intimate dining experience, rather than rushing customers through. Overall, Sushi Sei is a must-visit for sushi aficionados. Sushi Sei is a bit hidden, located one floor below the cinema in Plaza Senayan but definitely worth finding. I came here for lunch and was happy to see they have a variety of lunch sets available. I ordered the Chirashi Sushi Teishoku, which came with chawanmushi (steamed egg custard) and miso soup included in the set. The chirashi was beautifully presented, and all the sashimi slices were incredibly fresh you can really taste the quality of the ingredients. The chawanmushi was smooth and flavorful, and the miso soup was just the right balance of light and comforting. Even though the location feels a bit tucked away, the restaurant itself is surprisingly spacious and cozy. The atmosphere is calm and refined perfect for a quiet lunch or even a business meeting. The service was also attentive and friendly, making the whole experience even better. Definitely recommended if you’re looking for an authentic and satisfying Japanese meal in the middle of the city.

Had a decent dinner with my mum last week. Overall a great experience and I would recommend to reserve in advance to avoid hassle. The fish is fresh and taste close to authentic so it could come across as bland. We had Salmon Nabe, Agedashi Tofu and Sushi Sei Bento with beef. Portion was satisfactory and we got complimentary dessert: fruit and some kind of matcha mousse. Of course it falls in a more premium pricing but you get an equal quaility of ingredients and services.

Authentic Japanese taste with hefty price tag. The taste was good, but not justified for the price, especially the oyster sashimi, way overpriced. The seafood for the nigiri selection was limited to the usual kind, but they tasted delicious, not fishy, good temperature, real wasabi root, flaky rice, and nice sushi vinegar mix. I recommend getting the sushi omakase on this place. IG: mocchimase

A great Japanese restaurant in Plaza Senayan Mall. Food was good, some of them was just okay (nothing special). The unagi kabayaki was really good, probably one of the best in Jakarta. Houseki Bako (Chirashi Don with chopped tuna, ikura, foie gras, uni and wagyu) was definitely the highlight, even though the wagyu could use higher grade japanese beef. The mixture of these fresh ingredients coming into a dish was just mind blowing, so good that you cannot miss it when coming here!! Other dish was just okay, probably not worth the price, since price of dishes here are relatively expensive. But definitely coming back for the Houseki Bako, because it’s just that good. We booked a private room, which uses tatami kind of seating. Service was good, staffs were very helpful, even though waiting time was quite long. When we were there, AC was too cold for us. Very delicious ramen! Ordered the Buta Ramen and it was out of this world. The broth was delicious and the chew of the ramen was just right. The pork itself was rich and tender (even though only one big piece). Place was cozy with private rooms. And the waiters were very friendly.

Sat at a bar looking into the kitchen, which was ideal for me as a solo diner. Food delicious and staff helpful at getting right level of spice. I had one chilli which was perfect, but the normal five chillis would have been very hot 🥵

I had an amazing experience at Daitokyo Sakaba! The atmosphere was lively and authentic, truly capturing the feel of a traditional Japanese izakaya. The food was exceptional – every dish was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. I especially loved the yakitori and sashimi, which were top-notch. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. Great food, great service, and great vibes. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy an unforgettable Japanese dining experience!

Daitokyo Sakaba is my all-time favorite ramen spot in Jakarta. Their Buta Kakuni Ramen is truly something special. The broth is rich, deep, and flavorful creamy without being heavy, comforting from the very first sip. The pork belly is tender, juicy, and slightly sweet, blending perfectly with the savory broth. That balance makes every bite unforgettable. The noodles soak up all the flavors, making the whole bowl deeply satisfying. On top of the amazing food, the staff here are also very nice and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. If you’re looking for ramen in Jakarta, this is the one I’d always recommend. Great food, great people, and a true Little Tokyo gem.

The food was ok. Not great, but ok The place is quite discreet, quite private and comfy on its own way. Service was fast. The cook kinda slow. Considering I've ordered grill stuff, no complain there. But the squid smells...... Might not order seafood again tho..

Bijin Nabe by Tsukada Nojo ID Plaza Senayan is a sleek and contemporary Japanese kitchen offering a diverse menu featuring soups, sushi, skewers, and shabu-shabu. The restaurant is known for its delicious beef sukiyaki hot pot and beef stew with udon noodles, perfect for warming up on rainy days.
I have dined here multiple times, and the food is good though it can be hard to flag down the staff when it’s busy. The chicken nanban is my favorite, but the collagen soup is also super delish. It’s such a comforting dish when combined with their dumplings. The dry noodle is just so-so.
Sarah S — Google review
Spent Rp 655k for 2 people. We got shabu-shabu wagyu small size, beef dumpling, noodle, and 2 beverages. Their collagen soup was the best collagen soup ever imo when I had it in Singapore. But in Jakarta branch, it’s different. The soup smells weird, like smelling a live animal 😖 their meat was ok tho
Pantou — Google review
For those who didn't know how to get here: 1. Take elevator/escalator to food court area in 3rd floor. 2. Go through the door near Auntie Annes, take the elevator to the 5th floor. 3. Bijin Nabe is at the corner next to Paradise Dinasty. They have various lunch set menu options, and I chose the Healthy Bijin Shabu-shabu Set with Shirataki Noodles. LOVE the chicken collagen soup! I heard that the Chicken Nanban Set menu is also delicious, so maybe next visit I will order it.

Was pretty much dissapointed with the service. Their matcha atzuki ice cream is my fav dessert and known for its excellent mochi but LOL WHAT IS THIS.. frozen mochi & I also take away the remaining the soup which just get refilled but look at THE AMOUNT. I think I may not consider to come back here EVER.. And idk why the service seems so slow tho we kept pressing the bell button several times
Laurensia — Google review
Still the best collagen soup in Jakarta, if you only care about the food - ingredients are high-quality which justify the price. Karaage was good, surprisingly coming from a hotpot restaurant. Lunch ramen set was quite god as well given the price point. Soup for the ramen is the same collagen soup as others, noodles are springy - just the right texture. Ramen came with wonton, which in my opinion is just so-so. Service was slow maybe because of lunch time, I had to ask 3 times for a fork. Atmosphere is also quite good.

Iseya Sukiyaki Robatayaki, located in the Sudirman area of Jakarta, is the third most popular restaurant on Newsdelivers.com. Known for their delectable oyster dishes, this Japanese establishment offers a mouthwatering blend of mushrooms and cream cheese mixed with the oysters. Patrons praise the quality of food and ambiance, although some find the prices to be slightly high.
Overall, a great meal and definitely something to experience! The restaurant itself isn't that big but homey and authentic (the bathroom even features an automated Japanese toilet). The service is the epitome of Japanese hospitality and please make sure to come with an appreciation of the work, care, and quality that goes behind each bite of food.

Lunch set for weekend is priced low for a fine dining place. Alas the food in the set lunch suits the price and with unlimited serving of appetizers. Had the Gindara Teriyaki as the main course and Bintang beer is included in the Lunch set. Gindara tasted average with sweet teriyaki sauce. Refer to the picture posted. Rice that accompanied the teriyaki definitely subpar rice (not Japanese Varietal).

Shabu Shabu Gen Indonesia is a Japanese shabu-shabu restaurant that opened its Jakarta branch in late 2015, originating from Singapore. It has been well-received by Jakarta's food enthusiasts who appreciate the interactive dining experience of cooking meat and vegetables at the table. The restaurant prides itself on offering premium-style shabu-shabu, featuring high-quality ingredients such as Kobe beef and special sauces.
My favorite shabu-shabu place in Jakarta. Expansive view of beloved city, highest quality meat paired with the perfect condiments and highly attentive service. Check, sometimes they offer half US Beef half Japanese Beef promotion so we could try out different textures. For wider range of taste, may order additional dishes from sister restaurant Momozen. Depends on preference, but after a few times, I find it better not to mix the orders as Momozen's sauces a tad stronger than Shabu-Shabu Gen's so overall meal taste not as balanced.
Lily D — Google review
Its, indeed, best fine dining Shabu house in Jakarta so far, it was most likely the best Shabu that I have ever eaten. Food quality is top notch and the staffs were friendly and cordial, and all of them seems genuine. Although the price is quite expensive, its definitely meet food quality served. Will be back for sure!

What an experience i had eating here at Shabu gen!! The setting of the place is amazing, service was 5 stars and importantly the food was amazing. Unlike all the shabu2 places in Jakarta, Shabu gen, a part of Les Amis Group, know for its expertise in the food business, highly emphasizes on its food quality. It is one of the noticeable differences that i noticed. Beef is the most important ingredient in a shabu-shabu dish. And Shabu Gen provides you with the highest and best beef quality that can find. Overall, the experiences was amazing and on top of that the food was 5 stars.

I recently visited Yakinikuya and was pleasantly surprised — the place has just finished renovations, and it feels so much brighter and more welcoming now. As for the food, the yakiniku was excellent: fresh cuts of meat, perfectly marinated, and high quality. Grilling at the table was fun and satisfying, and the dipping sauces complemented the flavors really well. The service was attentive, making the whole experience smooth and enjoyable.

Great hidden spot at Dharmawangsa Square. The charcoal grill brings out the flavor of the meat really well, and the cuts are classic but varied. The seasoning stays simple and makes the taste feel authentic. I recommend trying the soups, especially the tongue soup with its spicy broth that feels comforting but still gives a nice kick. I tried the lunch set and found it a good choice if you do not want all you can eat. The portion fills you up nicely. The restaurant sits in the basement, so parking near the entrance makes it easier to find. Kak Siti served us quickly and gave clear information. Overall, this place is a solid choice for enjoying good meat in a relaxed setting.

MADAM BELLADONNA, his impossibly dramatic travelling companion who appraises hotels the way one appraises suspicious jewellery. SECURITY #1, a man staring into car trunks with the confidence of someone who once failed a Where’s Wally puzzle. SECURITY #2, a hooded figure who checks things the way you observe a child eating ice cream for the first time: fascinated, confused, and vaguely terrified. THE HOTEL, an invisible narrator with the personality of a glamorous aunt who hasn’t upgraded her wardrobe since 1998. Scene 1 — “Security, or Something Like It” HENRY and MADAM BELLADONNA arrive at the driveway. SECURITY #1 opens the trunk and stares at it like it’s a philosophical riddle. SECURITY #1 (leaning in) Hmm. HENRY What are you looking for? SECURITY #1 (pauses) …Things. MADAM BELLADONNA gestures dramatically. MADAM BELLADONNA: Darling, he’s inspecting the trunk the way you watch a toddler eat ice cream: half in awe, half in fear, fully aware it might explode at any moment. SECURITY #2, wearing a hood, waves a scanner at absolutely nothing, nodding gravely. SECURITY #2: Yes. Safe. Very safe. HENRY: Safe for who? SECURITY #2: We will tell you when we find out. Scene 2 — “The Check-In Waltz” They approach the counter. THE HOTEL speaks in a velvet voice. THE HOTEL: I may be old, my carpets may remember Suharto, but my staff moves fast — faster than Jakarta traffic, certainly. Check-in completes with surprising speed. HENRY: Impressive. That was fastish. MADAM BELLADONNA: Fast-ish is the highest praise you’ve ever given anyone except your tailor. Scene 3 — “The Suite, or The Museum of Past Décor Trends” They enter the suite. HENRY: Large! Spacious! Plainly appointed, but spacious! MADAM BELLADONNA: Oh, darling… this room hasn’t been renovated since the last global financial crisis. The furniture is so dated it could run for political office. HENRY: Yes, well… it’s charming in a “your uncle refuses to buy new curtains” sort of way. THE HOTEL: (softly defensive) I’m working on it. Scene 4 — “Lounge of Long Hours & Longer Drinks” They ascend to the Executive Lounge. HENRY: Look at this! Drinks until 9pm. Most lounges shut earlier, like they’re hiding from guests. MADAM BELLADONNA: A civilised hour. A touch of grace. And the staff — so friendly they could disarm a dictator. THE HOTEL: We try. Scene 5 — “Location, Location, Forty Minutes” They gaze out at the city below. HENRY: The property is huge. Well-positioned too — only 5km from the shopping centres. MADAM BELLADONNA: Which in Jakarta… (flourish) …is 40 minutes by taxi, assuming the gods favour you. THE HOTEL: I never promised speed. Only grandeur. Final Scene — “Overall Verdict” HENRY: So, the verdict? MADAM BELLADONNA: A well-located, friendly, slightly faded grande dame who deserves a facelift but still knows how to run a good lounge. HENRY: Exactly. Dated, yes. But warm, comfortable, friendly, and gigantic. I’d stay again — and bring patience for the traffic. THE HOTEL: Come back soon. I’ll try to look younger. Lights fade.

The club lounge was spacious and the ice latte was very good! Had a good time catching up my work during my stay there. Breakfast in Syailendra was superb. Special thanks to Kak Nurul and the chef that morning. Kak Nurul helped to ask the chef to make corn soup for me and my sister. We both had stomach upset that day and couldn't really enjoy other foods. The soup was warm and comforting. They also made a chocolate plate for my sister's birthday :) thanks for making such a warm gesture for her! A bit of minus thing was probably the hotel lobby and hallway fragrance was a bit too strong for my liking. But otherwise everything is perfect! Thanks for making our stay memorable.

Everything was good, the food, place, and ambience. Tried their wagyu and didnt disappoint, also my regular order, asari butter clam was executed properly, the sushi was okay, quite spicy and better to stick to their sashimi

The experience was okay. The place was really crowded, but it was a Friday night, so that was expected. At least there was plenty of parking. Getting in was a bit of a hassle, but the atmosphere and furniture were nice. The service was generally good—except for the wait. It took almost an hour for my food to arrive, even though the waitress initially said it would take 25 minutes. I had to ask three times before it finally came, which kind of ruined the experience. As for the food, it tasted great. I had a chicken katsu don, which I'd rate a 7.5/10. I also tried a gunkan inari, but they weren’t very generous with the meat, so I’d give it a 6/10.
Dum Y — Google review
The menu offered a perfect balance of traditional favorites and creative dishes. Every plate we ordered was beautifully presented and full of flavor. The sashimi was exceptionally fresh, practically melting in my mouth. One standout was the nanban chicken, which was cooked to perfection. Service was another highlight — the staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly without being intrusive. They were happy to explain the dishes and offer recommendations, which made the experience even better. The ambiance combined elegant Japanese decor with a cozy, relaxed feel, making it an ideal spot for both casual dinners and special occasions. Overall, Sushi hiro is a place I highly recommend for anyone craving authentic, high-quality Japanese food. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

sashimi was served warm? not even slightly cold. chicken teriyaki? more like the thinnest slice of chicken and some flour. The worst thing i ordered was the wagyu sando, the beef was meltique and not cooked well enough. it was the nastiest thing i've ever eaten, i needed to spit it out. The quality of sushi hiro has become disappointing and i will never be coming back to this branch ever again. if i could rate a 0 star i would.

Weekday Lunch at Sushi Hiro Sushi Hiro has been a longtime favorite in the fancy sushi scene, with multiple branches. I usually dine at this branch, and they always maintain their quality, making it my go-to sushi spot. Recently, they’ve introduced daily promotions, which vary by outlet. You can check the latest deals by downloading the Hiro app. What I Ordered: ✅ Truffle Salmon Sushi (5/5) – One of my favorites! The truffle flavor is well-balanced and doesn’t overpower the sushi. ✅ Carbonara Udon (5/5) – the udon cooked perfectly and the sauce is very well balance and not too much ✅ Salmon Maki (5/5) – A simple comfort dish. The rice is well-seasoned, and the salmon portion is generous. ✅ Chuka Idako Gunkan (5/5) – I love baby octopus, and their chuka idako is always spot on. ✅ Salmon Salad Inari (5/5) – Tried this for the first time since it was on Monday’s promo for only 25K. The salmon was fresh, and the flavor was great. ❌ Chuka Kurage & Wakame Salad (3/5) – Had high expectations since I love both chuka kurage (jellyfish) and chuka wakame. Unfortunately, the Hiro sauce was too overpowering, making it a bit overwhelming since both ingredients already have strong flavors. Final Thoughts Sushi Hiro remains a top choice for sushi lovers, with consistent quality and great promos. Definitely worth checking out!

Authentic Japanese restaurant
Izakaya Kashiwa is a Japanese restaurant known for its affordable menu and cozy wood-filled interior. Located on the second floor, it offers a variety of dishes starting from Rp30,000. The izakaya serves rum coke, ryokucha hai, Nikujaga, curry soba, and an array of chicken and meat dishes. Despite its small size and limited waiting area, the place is always packed due to its delicious food and reasonable prices.
First timer to this Izakaya. Where have I beeeeennn?? Ordered so many food, as I think the prizes are quite affordable. From the sashimi, yakitori, salad and udon. The place was quite crowded and lively. Sound of people chit chatting, mixed with japanese style greetings and the sound of the bell everytime a food is ready, made it very interesting. And then comes the food. And let me tell you all the protein, from fish, chicken meat, egg to chicken skin was very fresh, soft and prepared well. Kudos to the warm smiley japanese chef there. Oh I really need to mention the service level from all the server there. Very accomodating and lightning fast. We will be back.

The sushi is good and fresh, and what’s great: the prices are actually pretty affordable, especially compared to most of Japanese restaurants. Sometimes it gets crowded, so be prepared to wait. Overall, The atmosphere is okay, the food tastes okay, and it’s become one of those go-to spots I always return to. Recommended if you’re looking for casual Japanese food with good value! 🇯🇵🍣

Okay, please take note this review is taken from our only experience dining in Kashiwa, on April 4 2025, during the Lebaran season. So we had a very strong feeling that the normal chef/cook line were not present; or else we couldn't believe how a 4.4 starred facility could serve food in this quality. Most of the food was out of stock, the only one we would like to eat *and* available was a curry dish, and it took very long. The curry was runny and had a very liquid consistency, it might have been a gyuudon instead of curry. The milk tea was very bland and watery (instead of miky), it tasted like bland water mixed with condensed milk and brown sugar. Our side dish took a long time to finish. The service was very strange. We called the servers several times, but they only acknowledged us and said, "hai" and returned to cleaning the cutlery (and another one to stay still in front of the cashier - which we would understand if she's minding the cashier, but she didn't forward our call to another idle server nearby). They came to our table after a while. I would think that this condition happened just because it's still in the Eid holiday week, but... It's at the expense of not maintaining service and food quality. I never visited Kashiwa before this experience (only Echigoya and Kaihomaru from the same group), and would prolly never come again.

Nice Japanese skewer spot in Melawai with tasty kushiyaki and good service. Downside: the air-conditioned room allows smoking, which is quite annoying for non-smokers.

The other day I have been at this restaurant and we ordered various dishes to share. Everything without exception was completely and utterly oversalted. It was really nasty! I wondered why they do that? It was an experienced to be missed! I had way better Japanese food in the area for comparable prices. The staff is attentive and friendly....so no blame on that side!

Sushi restaurant
Sushi Hiro Plaza Indonesia is a popular Japanese restaurant known for its high-quality sushi dishes and easily accessible branches. The Pluit branch offers an affordable omakase experience called Hiro Omakase, maintaining the quality while being budget-friendly. Their signature 'Stairway to Heaven' presentation showcases sushi on a tiered plate. The omakase menu includes 9-10 courses ranging from appetizers to dessert.
First time for a foreigner like me at this critically acclaimed, beautifully designed contemporary sushi joint. I’d heard so many good things about the group, so I was looking forward to the dining experience! Everything was great, from the stunning ambience to the friendly service to the delicious and innovative food. If only there’s one thing that could be improved, asking your guests to scroll on their phone to look at your 70-page (!!!) menu is very inconvenient and bothersome, especially for middle aged and the elderlies! Or for those without mobile phone (yes some of us do want to eat or chat in the restaurants, and not scroll on our mobile phone throughout the entire dinner!). Plus, the paper version of your menu has no photo of the dishes whatsoever. Probably have some printed paper menus ready just in case, it’s a worthy investment. Facilitating seamless experience/guest satisfaction is key to keeping your success consistent. Technology is there to assist us, not to make our lives inconvenient! Most good restaurants your level have a “bible” paper menu with photos, descriptions and prices of the dishes. Also, a special heartfelt thanks to the staff for accommodating us with a smile at 21:20 when the restaurant was closing at 22:00! And for waiting for us until we finished our dinner past 22:00 and the whole mall was already dark! You all were amazing! 🤩🙏

Have visited a lot of Sushi Hiro establishments, I really like the execution of each place. The interior was always the most beautiful, the quality of the food was top notch, and taste wonderful. All the sushi rolls we ordered were good, but our favourite here is the okonomiyaki pizza, which is something we don't usually order, but surprisingly delicious here.

Last weekend, my wife, our 6-year-old son, and I decided to treat ourselves to a special dinner at Sushi Hiro in Jakarta, and it turned out to be a memorable culinary experience. #### **Ambiance** Upon entering Sushi Hiro, we were immediately struck by the warm and inviting atmosphere. The interior perfectly blends traditional Japanese elements with modern design, creating a serene and stylish environment. The wooden furnishings, soft lighting, and tasteful décor set the stage for a relaxing evening. Our son was particularly fascinated by the sushi bar, where chefs skillfully prepared dishes right before our eyes. #### **Service** The service at Sushi Hiro was impeccable. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel welcome and attended to our every need. They were courteous, professional, and patient, especially with our son who had a lot of questions about the different dishes. The waitstaff was knowledgeable and offered excellent recommendations, which enhanced our dining experience. #### **Food Quality** The food at Sushi Hiro was nothing short of extraordinary. We started with an assortment of sashimi that was incredibly fresh and flavorful. The highlight of our meal was the Omakase platter, which allowed us to sample a variety of expertly crafted sushi pieces. Each piece was a work of art, showcasing the chefs' skill and precision. For our son, we ordered a few simpler rolls and tempura. The chefs were accommodating and created a special roll that wasn't too spicy, which he loved. My wife and I also enjoyed the specialty rolls, such as the Hiro Roll and Dragon Roll, both of which were beautifully presented and packed with flavor. #### **Presentation** The presentation of the food at Sushi Hiro was stunning. Each dish was thoughtfully arranged, with garnishes that added a touch of elegance and beauty. Our son was particularly impressed by the intricate carvings and colorful plating, which made the meal even more enjoyable for him. #### **Value** While Sushi Hiro is on the pricier side, we felt that the quality of the food and the overall experience justified the cost. It was a special occasion for us, and we left the restaurant feeling satisfied and happy. The premium ingredients, exceptional service, and delightful ambiance made it worth every penny. #### **Overall Experience** Our evening at Sushi Hiro was a fantastic experience. The combination of high-quality ingredients, expert preparation, and attentive service made for a truly memorable meal. Whether you're a sushi enthusiast or simply looking to enjoy a special dinner with family, Sushi Hiro offers an unforgettable dining experience. Our son enjoyed it as much as we did, making it a perfect family outing. We look forward to returning soon!

I’ve been a fan of sushi hiro for a long time and regularly dine quite often. But today I have a bad experience: 1. The salmon belly sashimi still has its fish scale on it. I complaint, and as usual they replace it with the new one. 2. The Beef Katsu Sando is way overcooked, unlike the one shown in the menu picture. I let them know, and yes they still replace it. But the one they gave me as replacement is the worse part of the meat, very chewy, not tender at all. As if I don’t know the standard of the dish. I’ve been ordering it many times and so disappointed with this one today.
Timotius W — Google review
I am always fascinated by the quality of the food here! The highlight of our dinner was the nabe, featuring salmon that is less fatty compared to the one I had in another branch. So if you want something light, tasty yet healthy, make sure to order this one! The overall atmosphere was inviting, and the attentive service added to the positive dining experience. If you are on the lookout for a nice yet affordable sushi place, this spot is worth a visit.

Kintaro Sushi PI (Plaza Indonesia) is a must-visit for those craving delicious sushi with an enticing presentation and beautiful decor. The interior is captivating, featuring abstract blue mosaic ceramic floors and stylish salem-colored accents in other areas. The Foiegras Nigiri is a standout dish, offering a tender and juicy experience akin to indulging in a melt-in-your-mouth beef steak.
I had an amazing experience here. The sushi is absolutely fantastic and authentic, bursting with fresh flavors. The atmosphere of the place is cozy and inviting. I especially loved the Inari Salmon it was perfectly prepared, and the combination of flavors was exceptional. The salad was also a great. Really cozy ambiance, warm and intimate but not too private. The food was also amazing, especially for its price point, I ordered the Special Omakase and it was wonderful, every course tasted really delicious. It was a nice experience overall.

This was a great Japanese restaurant. The menu included a wide variety of Japanese dishes, like sushi, ramen and rice. The place looked very well maintained and the staff were very polite. The sushi was very unique, with a brownish color in its rice said to be caused by the red vinegar mixed in during the cooking process. The food was delicious although lacking style in its presentation. If i come across this restaurant, i would definitely eat here again.

Second visit here to this small gem restaurant. It's not too busy on a Sunday afternoon. The music is always such a vibe and their condiments are good. As a wasabi eater, I really appreciate theirs. The rolls we ordered are really nice esp. the salmon belly roll. The fish, the mayo, the balance of sauces are just hitting the right spot. They do not have extensive menu, which is great! No question about the food quality.

First time here for end year self reward with my friends, super satisfied with everything. The taste is definitely delicious, there is a price for quality, but the plus point is the service. All the crews are friendly and helpful. My friend's chopsticks fell and was immediately given new ones even though she was just about to ask for them. Thanks to Mba Heni and Mas Rizki who were super helpful. Good job ✨️

Food is excellent and atmoshpere is cool, but what gives me 4-star is due to Sukiyaki soup. The soup is very sweet as I taste the food. Even though I pour a lot of water to lessen it, the sweet remains too strong. When I eat the meat, the taste also too sweet as it makes me lose the appetite gradually due to too much sweet flavor. I already inform Tegar and Doni about this, and I hope I'll get the lighter version of Sukiyaki the next time I visit. Overall, its worth to replenish the protein here. Meat is excellent. Note: Best to avoid Sukiyaki Soup if you're too sensitive on sweet flavor unless they can make it light.

Hakata Ikkousha is a renowned Japanese ramen chain with 40 years of history, offering thick and flavorful broth. In Jakarta, it has two branches: one in Kemang serving halal ramen and another in Serpong serving pork-based dishes. The menu includes an extensive selection of ramen, side dishes, rice-based dishes, and appetizers featuring chicken and pork. The seating area is limited but comfortable with air conditioning.
Superb. Really good. We came from Malaysia and we find this japanese ramen is really good. Pork is tender and soft, noodles is still chewy and soup is nice. Gyoza really amazed me as the skin is thin n soft not the hard type.

My go to ramen place in Kelapa Gading area , their tonkotsu ramen still is one of the most consistent in terms of flavor and soup texture. Chicken tatsuta-age was a bit under seasoned this time , but still tolerable. Overall very satisfying dinner.

The most delicious ramen I’ve ever tasted by far. I have been here several times and always want to come back. They usually provide fresh garlic without being asked, along with the garlic crusher. My favorite is definitely ramen babi tamtam. The broth is just perfect especially if you add crushed garlic.

Hakata ikkousha has become my favorite ramen ever. I really love the shou broth (bonito based broth?) and I absolutely LOVE that I can add as much fresh garlic & fried shallots as I want. Before the pandemic I used to come here whenever I wanted to treat myself or when I had a rough day after work and their ramen has become my ultimate comfort food.

Loving the taste of non halal ramen here, the broth is tasty, and the little rice bowl is perfect for my 2 years old kid, he love the pork rice so much. We also try their hotplate, and the taste is also nice. Spend time here, eat the gyoza, this is directly in front of food hall.

They serve great and very enjoyable ramen, somewhat ok for space but a lack of navigation for the position to find. The location is near escalator and at Ground floor. Tried Pork tantan ramen (~75K IDR) and it's very delicious with generous portion. The pork gyoza (Around 30K IDR) also good. Would highly recommend if you want non-halal ramen

If you're seeking a unique dining experience in Jakarta, look no further than Keyaki Japanese Restaurant at Pan Pacific Jakarta. Situated on the 90th floor of the Thamrin Nine complex, this restaurant offers breathtaking views of the city skyline while you indulge in authentic Kyoto cuisine with a modern flair. The culinary journey is crafted by Executive Chef Kunihoro Mori and renowned Two-Michelin-Starred Chef Takagi Kazuo, ensuring an unforgettable meal.
Japanese Weekend Lunch We had our early family Christmas lunch at Keyaki, and it was such a great choice. The food was awesome—especially the sushi and sashimi. The seafood, like lobster, oysters, and scallops, was super fresh. The service was fantastic—big thanks to Rizky, Raymond, and Wahyu for making it such a great experience! I was really impressed with their attention to detail. When I went to grab some garlic fried rice from the buffet just before it closed, there wasn’t much left at the bottom of the serving pot. Even though I didn’t ask, the teppanyaki chef came over and offered to cook a fresh batch and send it to my table. Such thoughtful service—and the garlic fried rice was amazing! They really get the basics right!!

Went for weekend lunch, because there was an AYCE (all you can eat) promo with BCA card (pay 2 get 3). The choices were not too many, but there were lobsters, prawns, scallops, clams and other seafood cooked teppanyaki style. In addition, several choices of sushi, karaage, chicken satay, lamb chop, and steamed or fried rice as well, available on the buffet table. There was also pan-seared foie gras. The food were quite good.

The food was exquisitely delicious and well presented. Aside from most sushi or sashimi type dishes, what surprised me the most was the vegetable assortment platter. The platter was surprisingly unique in presentation and in taste that I did not expect it. The ambiance was quiet and the view of the city was really beautiful at night. I highly recommend this restaurant for any serious and uplevel events.

I've been to several Japanese buffets in Jakarta, and I think this one's my favourite. They offered a wide range of Japanese food from sushi and kushiyaki to teppanyaki and tempura. The sushi they served were not only the typical salmon and tuna but also snapper and sea bass. My favourite dish was the lobster teppanyaki which was seared and seasoned to perfection.

Weekend lunch, attending my dad’s birthday. It was awful experience, where to begin? Selection of food is very limited, only robatayaki which consist of only shrimp skewer, yakitori and mushy very small i dont even eat lobster / fresh water prawn thermidor style, some sort of regular buffet offering yakiudon, deep fried zucchini. Sushi and sashimi which were mediocre, the sushi rice taste like sticky rice for desert, while the fish quality less then supermarket. Some boiled seafood mostly clams and shrimp served on ice. Tempura station without ebi which is strange, some miso soup, chawan mushi with mushroom and garlic fried rice, and very tough roast beef. So called teppanyaki only consist of unfresh lobster and gindara. Drinks only sweet ice tea, store bought orange juice and infused water. Taste wise, overall is just okay, nothing special, teppanyaki gindara they cooked it very dry. Roast beef very tough, soup for ramen and miso soup are the better ones. Service? Refilling of food take very long, many chaffing dishes were empty for long time, the staff doesnt even know what gindara is when she was holding one while I asked for my teppanyaki order, only infused water available around 2 pm, juice and tea are gone. Overall very unpleasant experience, and for lower price point, other hotels offer far more better quality and experience.

We tried the 15 course omakase dinner. The fish was fresh and the dishes well prepared and delicious. The one star less for the food was for the variety. We had hoped for a more exciting variety rather than just the usual tuna, snapper and flounder. Service was excellent. We sat at the sushi counter so the direct interaction with the Japanese chef was nice.

This sushi omakase restaurant nestled in Sudirman is absolutely amazing. I came here 3 years ago for our anniversary, back then I was able to eat seafood. I was mind-blown by its esthetics and phenomenal divinity! Now, I cannot eat fish. So I deliberately asked for vegan menu but with eggs but strictly no dairy! Its was again spotless! Even tempura is so light and pluffy. The chef offered 10 courses for me. 1,200,000++ but I am really full. For normal omakase 1,250,000++ per pax. This is really quiet and serious about its food and service. Highly recommended.
Seonyoung Y — Google review
An omakase experience you can skip. The difference in menu from a 12-15 course is jarring in quality with such jump in difference of the ingredients used — we had assume a 12 course would be the same with less dishes served, but it was a different dish entirely with different quality. Ultimately paid approx Rp2jt per person (sans alcohol), for a mediocre omakase experience. And we weren’t sat at the bar, we got a booth.
Rika K — Google review
Tried the 15 course omakase and it was amazing! Every dish was tasty, delicious, and well prepared. Fast and attentive service. We were seated by the bar (right in front of the chef preparing the food) and he explains what each dish is. What a great experience!

I’ve been here for their omakase course twice already and I’ll definitely come back again. The last time I went was a different Japanese chef who’s now opened up his own restaurant in PIK (I’ve also tried their omakase and gave a 5 star review. Very good but pricier than Yawara). The current Japanese chef is just as friendly, food is really good and at the price point (sth like 2.5jt ++), I think it’s super reasonable and I’ll definitely come back. You’ll leave super full unlike some other omakase courses I’ve tried before. Definitely worth it

We ordered 15 courses omakase set for dinner on may 2021. The omakase dinner consists of good quality of fish, nice private ambience in vip room, and good service from the staff. ⭐️ Omakase will unexpectedly make you feel full if you could wait patiently until the last course. The last 3 courses were chirashi don, udon, and macha/red bean dessert mousse. The dessert was good, it is light, sweet, slight bitterness but not artificially sweet flavour (which i adore). The most memorable one for me was actually tiny ikura don with fresssshhhhh af ikura like yes no fishy smell and taste, and no soy sauce. Just pure umami goodness.🤤 Also the BEEF! the slice beef and gyu tan!!!! Its juicy, sweet, umami flavour with hint of smokiness and soy sauce. (YES AND FATT BUTTERY FROM THE BEEF JUST MELT LIKE ICE CREAM HAHA✨✨amazing) Also they have Air Purifier in the VIP room! Thats really surprising, and made us feel really safe somehow. Hahahah.😂

Amazing food, was one of my favourite places in Jakarta. I had to stop eating here because I can’t eat gluten and they don’t have allergens on their menu. 😔
