Banquet hall
The Precinct By Jeff Ruby is an elegant and upscale steakhouse located in Columbia-Tusculum. Housed in a historic building that used to be the Cincinnati Police Department's Sixth Precinct, the restaurant offers handcrafted steaks and seafood dishes along with a selection of cocktails, wine, and beer. Despite its sophistication, The Precinct maintains a neighborhood feel, inviting patrons to purchase Jeff Ruby's steaks for home cooking.
We visited Jeff Ruby’s Precinct last night to celebrate my birthday, and as always, the experience was nothing short of exceptional. My family and I dine here several times a year, usually with a party of 8 to 14 people, and each visit is consistently outstanding. Last night we were seated in the main dining area, and our server Charlie provided top-tier service from start to finish. He was attentive, knowledgeable, and made the entire evening seamless and enjoyable. In addition, Dakota, Brandon, and Chad each went out of their way to ensure every detail was perfect truly a team effort that elevated the experience. The food was phenomenal, as expected Jeff Ruby’s always delivers the highest quality in both cuisine and ambiance. Five-star service all the way around. Highly recommend for any special occasion or an unforgettable night out.

We came for Date night, made reservations for 9:30pm. Sat in the bar area, wished it was away from where the waiters have to walk through from kitchen to dining room. This place is nice and have a lot of decor. I order my steak to be well done no pink but had to send it back to be cooked more/longer. Drinks are great. Waiter was great and attentive. Overall experience for my 1st time was good.

My wife and I don’t usually spend this kind of money, but we came here for our anniversary and were blown away. The staff were so kind and knowledgeable and the quality of the ingredients were very evident. The homemade Mac and Cheese was unreal and the steak and lobster were wonderful. I really enjoyed the old fashioned and my wife loved her mocktail. This is a fantastic spot for a special occasion. We’ll definitely be back!

A business partner came in town and he was excited to get back to The Precinct. It was a great night of fantastic food and phenomenal service. We were seated right away and started off with two orders of the Jumbo shrimp. The raw bar is one of the best things this restaurant offers, don't skip it. Our steaks were delivered to perfection and the Lobster Mac n Cheese is a must!! We were surprised with a dessert delivered to us which was called in by a friend that knew we were dining there. Again, delicious and we were extremely happy and full!!

This was our first visit to this restaurant. Due to location, valet is the only convenient parking option. The history and architecture of this building is awe-inspiring. The interior design is inviting and perfect for groups, families, & couples. The chandeliers, stained glass windows and the red velvet-lined booths, bring class to this former Cincinnati Police Precinct building. The service is top-notch. Servers are dressed in suit and tie, and they are very knowledgeable as would be expected in such a fine dining restaurant. The food is amazing. You will not find a better selection of steaks in the area. Jeff Ruby only offers the finest meat. The homemade bread, salads, sides, steaks and desserts are all delicious.

As high end places go this is one of the best. It also has tremendous value. The prices are better than. Some of the other places I've been, with sides included. The sea bass and waygu rib fillet was absolutely delicious. Service was amazing. Restaurant set in an old brick police precinct blends history with functionality.

The crown jewel of Cincinnati steakhouses, the original and undeniably one of the best. The hatchet steak was prepared to perfection, and even as someone who isn't fond of seafood, I found the crab cake to be exceptional. Both the wedge and Greek salads were ideal accompaniments. Adding to the experience, the old-fashioned cocktail was superb, and the gold air ruby dessert—a delightful combination of mousse, chocolate cake, toffee balls, topped with raspberry cognac whipped cream and scotch caramel—was the perfect finale to a memorable birthday celebration.

Couldn't have picked a better spot in Cincinnati for my parent's 50th anniversary. The definition of Hospitality from when we exited our cars with the valet attendants to the hosts when we entered, and the team who served our party at the table. Not snobby or pretentious, the staff is very warm and personable. They engaged with our little ones, made honest recommendations on food and wine, and they made my mom and dad feel special on their special night. SUPER TIP FOR MORE WINE AND DESSERT!!! Split plate. I had no idea we could, but it is amazing. They prepare wonderful split plates. My wife and I split a steak Burrow and I ordered a separate salad. All the steaks are amazing. You cant lose. The mac and cheese is famous for a reason. The best brussel sprouts I have ever eaten. The smokiness, the mouth feel, the flavor. Best part was they weren't dry and overcooked. Perfection. The butter pie was so good. I'm glad for the split plate. Easy to see why this place has so much history and success. The steak delivered that signature char flavor, the people and rooms create a wonderful experience, and the history is literally on every wall. Dont forget split plates, brussel sprouts, and butter pie!!

Fine dining restaurant
Jeff Ruby's Steakhouse is an upscale, stylish restaurant known for its handcrafted steaks and seafood offerings. With an art-deco style, it has been a Cincinnati landmark for over 20 years and has attracted A-list patrons like Adam Sandler and Robert De Niro. The restaurant features a raw bar, live music lounge with a 1865 Steinway piano, and nationally acclaimed USDA Prime steaks.
I recently had the pleasure of celebrating my birthday at Jeff Ruby's, and it was an unforgettable first-time experience from start to finish. From the moment we arrived and were greeted by the valet, every detail was thoughtfully executed with remarkable hospitality. Our server, Jason, delivered impeccable service—truly among the best I’ve ever encountered. He was not only highly professional and attentive but also impressively knowledgeable about the menu and wine pairings, which elevated our dining experience even further. We reserved a private dining room for 18 guests. Though a few attendees canceled at the last minute, Jason handled the situation with grace and professionalism, gently reminding me of the contractual minimum in the most respectful manner. I genuinely appreciated his thoughtfulness in how he approached it. Everything—from the ambiance to the cuisine and service—was exceptional. I am already looking forward to returning and would highly recommend Jeff Ruby's to anyone seeking a special and sophisticated dining experience.

Jeff Ruby’s downtown Cincinnati location delivers an excellent culinary experience, impeccable service, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. It’s an ideal spot to celebrate life’s special moments. Dinner started with fresh bread smothered in signature truffle butter, which was delicious with the flavorful salad. The tender, juicy fillet was served with creamy mashed potatoes and tender asparagus. After dinner, a fantastic chocolate cake arrived with fresh blackberries and raspberries, encircled by a blended fresh fruit drizzle, accompanied by the rich, smooth flavor of vanilla bean ice cream.

Went here for the first time on a Saturday evening (party of 2). We had to reserve about 1.5 months in advance. This was one of the best steak meals we have ever had. The front of the house was so friendly and accommodating. Our servers were absolutely fantastic. Couldn’t have asked for more attentive and fun, friendly servers. We sat outside on the patio but the bar area with the elevated piano looked like a great time as well. There was live music the entire time we were there. Atmosphere is beautiful and intriguing everywhere you look. For drinks throughout the night, we had old fashioned, dirty martinis, and Tempranillo wine. All were perfect. Now onto the food… The very first thing they brought out, bread and butter was AMAZING. I couldn’t believe how good it was to be honest. We ordered the crab cake and pork belly for apps, then a Caesar salad, then the Miyazaki wagyu NY strip and a 12oz lobster tail. For sides we got the Tso green beans, Mac n chs, and Anna’s potatoes. All of the food was so good, but the wagyu was out of this world good. I can’t even explain how delicious it was, you just need to try it. We finished the meal with cheesecake and a cappuccino. The table next to us got the Air Ruby and it was literally a chocolate dessert shaped like an Air Jordan. It was one of the weirdest but most amazing desserts I’ve seen. We made friends and they let us try it. It was delicious. Overall this meal was a 10/10. I could go on and on. We could not have asked for a better night out. Can’t wait to go back.

Just celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary here on Tuesday the 30th of September. We had never been to Jeff Ruby’s or any restaurant like it in a very long time. I was pleasantly surprised as the hype was real. This was by far the best dining experience we have ever had. We were seated within minutes. The service was impeccable and our server Stephanie was absolutely fantastic! My wife enjoyed a Mulled Berry Mojito. The crab cakes we ordered for an appetizer were beyond delicious. I ordered a New York strip with garlic butter and a baked potato. My wife ordered the steak Collinsworth with baked Mac n cheese. Everything was perfect! Our entree’s came shortly after we finished our appetizers but long enough for us to talk and enjoy the atmosphere. After we finished our dinner our server brought us a wonderful dessert which was complimentary. We really did enjoy every moment together here and it could not have been a more enjoyable experience! All the food was amazing but I highly recommend the crab cakes.

I recently celebrated my 40th birthday at Jeff Ruby’s Steakhouse, and it was truly an unforgettable experience! We hosted a large group, and from the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make the evening feel special. The food was exceptional, as always. The steaks were cooked to perfection, the seafood was fresh and flavorful, and every side dish was delicious. What really stood out most was the hospitality — attentive, professional, and warm. Planning a celebration for a big group can be stressful, but the team made the entire experience effortless and enjoyable. Thank you to everyone at Jeff Ruby’s for making my milestone birthday so memorable. I can’t recommend this restaurant enough for special occasions or an outstanding night out!

Listen, I’ve eaten some good meals in my life, but whatever the hell happened inside Jeff Ruby’s Speakeasy that Friday night was basically a religious experience with cocktails. Our crew of 8 rolled in for our annual baseball trip — we clean up just enough to pass for “gentlemen,” but let’s be honest, we’re a traveling pack of loudmouths who argue about who should’ve bunted in the 7th inning of a 2003 Tigers game. Somehow, they still gave us a private room. Bold move, Jeff Ruby’s. The place looks like Sinatra and Elvis opened a casino in Heaven. Gold trim, velvet everywhere, and chandeliers that probably cost more than my car. They even customized the menus with the Cincinnati Reds logo — so of course, we felt like VIPs who just signed multi-million dollar contracts. And I’ve got to give a huge shoutout to Maggie Rixson, who set the whole thing up for us. Maggie is an absolute rockstar — made sure our group was taken care of from start to finish, and somehow made us look more sophisticated than we actually are. She’s the kind of person who could organize a dinner for the Rolling Stones and still remember your drink order. The food? Unreal. The steaks were so tender I considered proposing. The mac and cheese might have violated several laws of physics. Every side dish slapped harder than a Reds fastball, and by dessert — a chilled Reds cake masterpiece — we were ready to sing “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” in harmony. The staff? Absolute legends. They were everywhere — like stealth ninjas with wine bottles, making sure no glass ever saw the bottom. I swear at one point they refilled my bourbon telepathically. And I’ve got to give credit where it’s due — my friend Jamie highly recommended Jeff Ruby’s, and she was absolutely right. This place isn’t just dinner; it’s an event. When the night ended, we didn’t just leave full. We left changed. I’m pretty sure one guy in our group achieved enlightenment somewhere between the filet and the crème brûlée. Five stars. Would sell a kidney to go back.

OUTSTANDING! I can’t even begin to describe this incredible experience from the moment I called to reserve, the atmosphere, the service, the food. This is a must in your LIfe, it’s impossible to be disappointed here. A true, raw gem that captured my heart and we will be forever customers and come visit Cincinnati just to come to this restaurant. They even personalized the menu, I can’t say enough positive words about this place that is surreal. Thank you to all he amazing team at Jeff Rubys for making my boyfriend’s 50th birthday memorable! Don’t forget to ask for the best dessert you’ll ever eat in your life.

My family and I were fortunate enough to eat dinner here last night to celebrate our late father's first heavenly birthday and it was the best meal we have ever had. Our server, Michael, was absolutely incredible and he helped make this experience a 100/10. Bawe, the director of hospitality and experiences, was exceptional and stopped in to check on us as did the restaurant front manager whose name is slipping my mind. We were delighted to meet Jeff Ruby and hear about his connection to our Dad, who used to work for Jeff back in the day at one his restaurants. We have never had a more hospitable experience at a restaurant and the food was divine. I will dream about the lobster gnocchi and crab cake, which was the best I have ever had. We will be back!

Prime Cincinnati is an elegant and upscale chophouse and lounge located in downtown Cincinnati. The restaurant offers a sophisticated dining experience with a stylish and comfortable atmosphere. The menu features a variety of elevated steakhouse fare, including dry-aged steaks, fresh seafood, hearty sides, and decadent desserts. In addition to the impressive food selection, Prime Cincinnati also boasts an extensive wine list with over 200 world-class wines to complement the dishes.
The food was FANTASTIC but their bathroom stalls wouldn't even lock which was kinda weird. I expected their restrooms to be a little better but I would 100% try visiting again. The butter (had herbs with some salt) with bread they have is delicious, and their meat was divine. I had one of their salads which had crab meat, shrimp, and a boiled egg but it was way more lettuce than meat. I enjoy my salads to be evenly distributed with a little more protein. The sauce with their calamari was extremely good and I really enjoyed the asparagus!! We had their brownie dessert and a chocolate cookie dessert, both were perfectly warm with amazing ice cream. They even had some coffee that was pretty strong. The wine we had was EXTREMELY smooth, highly recommend.

Lovely restaurant in the heart of downtown Cincinnati. Stopped by on a Sunday evening didn’t have any reservations but they were able to get us in. Sat by the bar area by the window, was such a beautiful and quiet evening. Waiters was quick and attentive. Very clean, food was delicious. It was so good we came back a second time! Service was still amazing. Please keep up the good work.

Outstanding ! Had a Filet that was beautifully cooked. Mario and Nicole made sure we had Rockstar service. We did not have dessert, but it looked amazing.

I have always been a big fan of Prime Cincinnati, and you should too. Here's my three reasons why. 1. The Meat. Prime features Certified Angus Beef (CAB). The steaks are amazing. If you're going for the first time, I recommend the 14 oz. Prime Delmonico Ribeye ($76). I also enjoy its dry-aged cousin, the 20 oz Cowboy Ribeye ($99). If you want something different try the Domestic Lamb Chops ($52). They are Moroccan seasoned and are finished with a red-wine demi glace. 2. The Seafood. While Prime is known as a steakhouse, the restaurant has always featured outstanding, very fresh seafood. If you want a unique dinner, try these four items under the Shareables Section: Fresh New England Calamari ($18), Maryland Crabcakes ($26), Jumbo Dry Sea Scallops ($29) and the Shrimp Cocktail ($27). Follow those with a cup of the Lobster Bisque ($10). I will put that bisque up against the best in the country. For an entree, consider either the Seafood Chopped Salad ($32) or the Moroccan Salmon ($38). The salads feature both lobster and shrimp. I have had those so many times, I could make the dish by memory. The salmon is my wife's favorite dish. There is also a new Seafood Carbonra ($42), but I have not tried it yet. I have had the regular carbonara on a other menu, and it is made using the proper ingredients - NO CREAM! 3. The Service. The current staff at Prime is extremely well trained. If you have been there in the past, that might not have always been the case. The old general manager was canned, and the new leadership has really done a great job increasing customer service.
Matthew H — Google review
The food was amazing, well worth the price. The service is what set this place above and beyond. There was care taken at every step of service and our servers did a phenomenal job. We had a Caesar salad, lobster bisque, the cowboy ribeye, and the filet trio. Mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese for sides. Everything was cooked to perfection. Bread for the table was warm. We also got the cheesecake for dessert- I have had dreams about it and I wish I was exaggerating. The atmosphere was perfect for a date night- candle lit and moody, but still enough light to see your food, your partner, and read the menu. Everything is carefully thought out to anticipate your needs, down to mouthwash in the restroom. My only suggestion is that they use real candles (perhaps oil lamps with a rope wick) instead of battery operated. I personally feel that battery operated versus flame candles make a big difference in ambiance.

This was my first time ordering a Wagyu and I was very disappointed. This was the second thing they had to bring out because the first steak was well done when I asked for medium rare yes, this steak is medium rare, but it was completely all fat very little meat at all for $$150 steak you would feel that this would be a very good steak unfortunately it was not and my fiancé had a hey Wagyu, fillet as you can see in the picture they charted it was supposed to be medium rare once again it was not up to our standards at all. I don’t think it would be up to anybody standards. We did go in late, but that is no excuse for a restaurant of this class. If you order do not order Wagyu from this place, you will be very disappointed.

Both my server and my service was fabulous… I’m not impressed with a steak. I do not believe it was aged. It was not a tender piece of meat and I was not impressed. For a $400 dinner I wish I would’ve spent my money at Jeff Ruby’s. On a positive all of their appetisers and inside items were all fabulous… I think they’re trying to pull a fast one on us

During our visit to Cincinnati, we chose to dine at this particular restaurant. The service we received was impeccable, with the waiter demonstrating exceptional attentiveness, particularly regarding the wine selection. I ordered an 8 oz filet, which, upon arrival, was not prepared to my preference. However, the staff promptly addressed the issue, ensuring my order was corrected to my satisfaction. As a gesture of apology, they also provided some additional asparagus. Guests should anticipate spending between $60 and $100 per person, especially if ordering drinks and a full meal. Overall, I found the experience to be well worth the cost.

Bryce was our server . He was absolutely incredible . I loved his attentiveness , he was so bubbly and sweet ! He thoroughly explained things to us , as well as chatted with us along the way when he came by! He was wonderful! It was our very first time eating there , so we weren’t sure what to expect ! Our food was absolutely delicious, and came out so quickly ! I don’t think I’ve ever had a steak that delicious , and as he explained, stayed warm on the 500 degree plates as I tried my best to eat it all! The crab cakes and the Oscar topping were to die for ! We will be back! Not only the food was perfection, but Bryce , thank you for a truly incredible experience !

So I decided to come to Ruth Chris for the first time for Mother’s Day. I had reservations, but we still had to wait upon coming in. We were sat shortly after. I ordered the Oso Buco raviolis, and my mother ordered the loaded Baked potato. My raviolis were cold, and it was a weird broth that was filled all the way to the top on the plate and when the waiter came to bring it out, the broth went everywhere. I requested to send it back and explained to the server that I didn’t want another one. The manager came out and told me that the ravioli was on the house. And insisted I tried it and that it was good. I took a bite of it in front of him and it was ice cold and the broth tasted like a Ramen noodle broth…the pasta was undercooked and the inside resemble the same taste and texture as beef raviolis in a can. After eating it, I asked if he wanted to try it and he responded Chicken He doesn’t eat the food here he refers a whole food diet. I also ordered the lobster, macaroni and cheese the cream of spinach the stuffed chicken breast, the salmon with shrimp with a barbecue butter. The salmon was subpar. The shrimp was overcooked. The spinach on the plate was also cold and watery. The cream of spinach was terrible. It tasted like grass with some type of chicken of cream soup in it. My moms baked chicken was good, but it was a little tough to bite with some type of white cheese inside of it. The Lobster macaroni and cheese was bland and tasted like the macaroni and cheese End at longhorn steakhouse, but more subpar the lobster was overcooked on top. I ordered a crème brûlée to end off the meal and that was also subpar. I spent over $215 and I tipped 30% And the food was a total miss. Our server Devon was OK but seemed to be really busy . In addition, I went on the top level to use the bathroom, and it was warm. There was no air condition to be honest. I’ve had better food at Olive Garden or Applebee’s. It was a lot of hype and not very good food. I definitely won’t be back.

Steak was very good and cooked perfectly. Shrimp was very flavorful. Sides were good, as expected, but not exceptionally amazing to write about. Salads were, unfortunately, the last plate to come out, or this would be a 5-star review. Our server was really great at her job. Very friendly, inviting, and accommodating. Cheesecake was phenomenal. Our bar drinks were great and effective, lol. While everything was good, I think I would find another place at the same level to try rather than return again.

I wanted to have an upscale family dinner for my 26th birthday and I decided to go to Ruth’s Chris. We had an amazing time. Everyone was so friendly! The food was excellent, cooked exactly as we requested. We had amazing service and were seated in such a nice part of the restaurant. Our server was Mitch- truly a sweet guy and made this experience special for me and my family! Request him if you can, you won’t regret it! Alex was the manager and he did such a wonderful job of making sure we were taken care of! I was given the choice of a free appetizer and desert. I give this experience a 10/10- we will definitely be back! Special shout out to the hostess (did not get her name) she was wonderful and truly a good host for our evening! Overall a wonderful experience!!

Ones celebration commences with a special event. We had the pleasure of celebrating my husband's birthday with a delightful meal and friends. The perfect evening begins with how one is greeted which by far was a disappointment! The individuals were more worried about their cell phones! Also noticed the online dress code doesn’t apply to all. When seated we were greeted by Tristian, he was one of the most pleasant individuals we have encountered in a long time. His honesty was genuine as he instructed us the summer special had ended, though I called earlier in the day and was instructed it was still on. His kindness was a breath of fresh air. He demonstrated a clear enthusiasm for his job and a commitment to ensuring his customers' satisfaction, recognizing that their loyalty was essential to his continued employment. A business needs more individuals like Tristian.

We got the SPECIAL TREATMENT on our anniversary! Hands down the best 40 oz porterhouse we have ever had!! Also do your self a big favor and order the Lobster Mac and cheese, it was outstanding!!! The personalized anniversary card on the table when we arrived was a nice touch as well!!

Made reservations and went to Ruth's Chris at the Banks this past Sunday. The food was great as it always is. We had a great server, but had a very long wait on our meal. The restaurant was very busy due to the Bengals game letting out, so I'm sure that led to the wait times. However, a business needs to anticipate such things. The only other issue was the temperature inside. It was a very warm day outside and their AC was struggling to keep dinning area cool.

Carlo & Johnny By Jeff Ruby is an elegant and sophisticated steakhouse located in a historic Montgomery mansion. The restaurant, owned by renowned local restaurateur Jeff Ruby, offers a 1933 gangster steakhouse theme with a supper club-reminiscent setting. So glad to have given this place a second chance! Grace and her team really made the experience special. The food was exceptional. From the appetizers all the way through to dessert I was amazed by the flavors and freshness. The oysters Rockefeller were delicious, the steak was cooked perfectly and seasoned well! The butter pie left me wanting to take another slice to go! Highly recommend. A perfect meal and nice location for a special occasion.

My family had a wonderful dinner last night at Carlo & Johnny. We've been here many times, but this experience felt extra special. Our server, Megan was very kind and knowledgeable and made great suggestions on drinks, appetizers and dinner. And her assistant, Jackson R was an absolutely delightful young man! He kept our waters and our bread full and quickly cleaned our table between courses. And, he was such a pleasure to chat with. The manager, Jordan stopped by to check on us and we had a lovely conversation with him also. The great food, great atmosphere and phenomenal staff keep our family returning to the Ruby's restaurants. We look forward to coming back again soon.

We hosted our wedding rehearsal dinner here, and it was absolutely perfect! The space upstairs was beautiful and easily accommodated all of our guests. The staff went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly and that we felt taken care of the entire evening. We were even able to show a slideshow during dinner, which made the night extra special. And of course, the food was phenomenal — just as amazing as always! We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend this venue for any event or celebration!

We chose Carlo & Johnny for our 30th Wedding Anniversary dinner with our kids and grandkids (10 of us) it was fantastic! The food was delicious and the atmosphere wonderful! The staff made us feel so special by adding our names to the menu and even had 30 balloons in our private room for us! Everything was unforgettable!

Update: 5/25 I am beyond impressed a representative from the restaurant read my review and reached out to get more details. Of all the reviews I have ever posted about a restaurant no one from the establishment has ever contacted me to apologize in person or to get more details. This restaurant group really is top-notch! This is by far one of the best restaurants in the area. Celebrating a special occasion is just made extra special here. The food is always wonderfully prepared and delicious. Our party of four had wonderful meals in the pictures you’ll see chicken parmesan, fillet mignon, New York strip and ribeye. The steaks were cooked to perfection and the sauce on the chicken parm was wonderful. We had a sushi appetizer and a few drinks all wonderful. On this particular occasion our service seemed a little slow I understand that they’re trying to create a moment, but we waited at least 10 or not 15 minutes for him to come and pick up the check from out table. There were also other moments during the evening, where we felt like we were slightly overlooked. With Jeff Ruby, restaurants, I expect the service to be exceptional. This was not the case with this dinner. If you’ve never eaten at a Jeff Ruby restaurant, I highly recommended. It’s great for a special occasion. The decor is always beautiful and the atmosphere is always comfortable.

We had an exceptional and truly welcoming evening at Carlo and Johnny’s. Firstly, Kayla and her team Meghan, Jaxsen, and Liam, set the tone with outstanding service, perfect timing, and a friendly, professional approach that made the night special. The raw bar was fresh and beautifully presented, the Freddy Salad and Collinsworth steak were both phenomenal, and we finished with crème brûlée and coffee that couldn’t have been better. Charlie, the GM, stopped by to check in, and his leadership and warm personality were evident throughout the entire experience. From start to finish, everything was flawless, excellent food, a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, and a first-class team. Highly recommend and looking forward to our next visit.

Carlo and Johnny’s was absolutely incredible! We were there for my boyfriend’s first visit to a Jeff Ruby’s restaurant, and Tyler and Phillip made the experience unforgettable. From the moment we sat down, they were welcoming, friendly, and so attentive. They truly made us feel like VIPs the entire night. The food was amazing (as always), but their service took everything to the next level. Tyler and Phillip are the definition of outstanding hospitality. We’ll definitely be back – thank you for making his first Jeff Ruby’s experience so special!

Beer garden
Located in the vibrant Smale Riverfront Park, Moerlein Lager House is a unique restaurant and brewery adorned with artifacts. It offers a picturesque view of the river from its wraparound patio. The establishment prides itself on being a working microbrewery that produces a wide range of craft brews and serves delectable dishes reminiscent of those found in 19th century beer gardens.
2nd time visiting here and this one was just for dinner only. Made reservations for 7:30 and was seated right on time. Less busy than usual but prom couples were there and made it festive. Those girls must've been freezing! i digress. Ok so back to dinner looked like a pretty expansive menu online but wasn't really. So after looking at everything I opted for the Fish n Chips. Sounded good. Bad idea. So instead of in house battered cod with Moerlein lager beer in the batter they opted for frozen battered cod and pre-fried it first and then just double dropped it. Wasn't bad tasting but it was soggy and grease soaked. Attention Mr.Beer Baron - don't cheap out and use your own batter ! Our waitress Sierra did swap out the fish for the dry rubbed sriracha wings and they were Awesome! Should've picked them first! Plus most places usually have wilted nasty looking celery sticks but not here they were just cut up.Bonus ! Mrs. got the Moerlein house salad with peppercorn ranch and house made croutons. And her entree was the Mediterranean pasta with blackened shrimp or was supposed to be. Had a good flavor however the dish was definitely lacking more of other items that weren't pasta. Not a big fan of the garlic parmesan fries either but the plain fries were good. The place is big and the people were nice and all but next time I'll start with the wings, burger ,cheesesteak or short ribs pot roast! Great views by the river! Dining hack 101 - Try to go there when the Reds aren't in town or if you're into that thing wait until they are and enjoy the excitement!

This place has some great views of the water and right next to the stadium. They have a great beer selection. There are two floors and both have a bar. Food was good no pics as I was there for a group dinner served buffet style it was good and would go back to sit outside when back in town.

A Complete Miss – Bland Food & Slow Service Came in on Labor Day weekend with my girlfriend and another couple. We were walk-ins and waited about 40 minutes for a table, which was fine and expected. The real problems started once we sat down. It took 15 minutes before our server even greeted us. She immediately brought water with ice (would’ve preferred to be asked first since I don’t like ice, but not a big deal). What was disappointing was that every interaction after that was painfully slow — we waited at least 10 minutes each time we needed something. When we finally ordered drinks, I went with the Core 4 beer flight, while the rest of my party ordered a cocktail, a lager, and a soft drink. The beers were underwhelming — flat flavors, no distinction — and not worth the 20 minutes it took for drinks to arrive. At that point, we decided to keep it simple and just order appetizers before leaving. We ordered the Mexican corn dip with chips and the BBQ nachos. The first appetizer took 15 minutes to arrive, and the second came out 10 minutes later after the server explained that the kitchen had “dropped them” and had to remake them. Not exactly reassuring. To make matters worse, the food didn’t redeem the experience. The corn dip was bland, soulless, and unpleasant. The nachos were forgettable and lacked any real flavor. The server tried to make small talk, but given how slow and unprepared everything felt, it only made the lack of urgency more frustrating. The only positive here is the location and views which are beautiful. Unfortunately, they’re completely overshadowed by the terrible service, lack of preparation, and food that fails to impress. We were there for 90 minutes, but only spent about 20 of that actually eating. That says everything you need to know about the pace of service. I understand it was a holiday weekend, but by 8:15 pm the crowd was slowing down, and the delays continued. That shows poor management and preparation, not just being “busy.” Overall, this place was a letdown in every aspect. Gave it a try, but won’t be coming back and cannot recommend it

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had an incredible time at the FC Bayern party at Moerlein Lager House! Everything about the night was top-notch — the food was amazing, the service was amazing, the beer was amazing, and the atmosphere was absolutely electric. Nestled in the heart of Cincinnati, The Capital Grille stands as a premier destination for those seeking an upscale dining experience. This refined steakhouse chain is celebrated for its classic American fare, served in a sophisticated and club-like atmosphere that invites guests to unwind after a day of exploring the city. With its elegant setting and expertly crafted dishes, including unique offerings like the Dry Aged NY Strip with a spicy French twist, it’s an ideal spot to indulge your palate.
The food was excellent! The steaks were tender and right amount of flavors. Lobsters were amazing with the butter. I personally love the mushroom. Our server- James is amazing. We will definitely be back! Great service with amazing quality of cuisines.

It's fine dining in a cozy dark atmosphere. Lots of wood interior and geared toward wine and old world cigar lounge - but with food. It's decent food at elevated prices but it's not as memorable as I would have expected for this price. The $70 dry-aged NY strip was not marblized but more filet lean. Cooked medium well and it was kind of flavorless without the marbling. The peppercorn sauce was REALLY peppery - you will be crunching more pepper than steak - I had to scrape it off to continue. Drinks were tasty, great service, great appetizers, great sides... All in all it was fine, but there are options imho.

The Capital Grille in Cincinnati is a great a experience from start to finish. Well staffed and the service is so good that you will want for nothing. Thank you Brian G and James D. Excellent Toscana wine (pictured) recommendation. Our steaks, prime filet and NY Strip, were cooked perfectly and tasted exceptional!!! The food, service and atmosphere is better than any local Jeff Ruby location, Ruth's Chris and Eddie Merlot's we have experienced in the past couple years. Capital Grille is now our new favorite local restaurant.

I took my daughter to our favorite restaurant, The Capital Grille, to celebrate her 21st birthday—and once again, they exceeded our expectations. We’ve tried other popular steakhouses in the area, but none compare. The Capital Grille consistently delivers the best steaks in the city, hands down. We love the warm, upscale atmosphere and always feel so well taken care of. It’s truly our go-to spot for special occasions—or any time we want an exceptional meal.

My husband and I went here for our 1 year anniversary and it was the perfect choice. We had placed a reservation and they treated us wonderfully the entire time! Kelli was our server and she was very knowledgeable on the menu and wine suggestions. She was very attentive to us and we couldn't have been happier with our service. The food was incredible with great portions. My husband specifically enjoying his bone in ribeye and the lobster mac and cheese. I had a bone in filet mignon that was cooked to perfection and I loved every bite. Cannot suggest this more for an elegant night

Had the absolute pleasure of enjoying a meal in this venue in April, 2025. Location has valet service out front that is fast and free. This is a great feature since parking is extremely hard to come by on weekend nights in this particular area. The reservation was for 615 and we were seated by 617. Within 45 seconds Kyria was on the scene and wasted no time in directing us to the best parts of the menu. Bone in ribeye and Oscar filet were the mains, preceded by shrimp cocktail that could only be described as “awesome”. Steaks were cooked perfectly and the sides were almost as good as the main course. Complimentary desert was delivered, which was as much appreciated as it was incredible. The best part of this grand production was the service. Kyria was on point, and it would be difficult to manufacture a finer ambassador for a brand if such a thing was even possible. He was helpful, engaging, and made you feel like you were a welcome guest in his own house. Many thanks to him for his professional service and also to Heather for stopping by the table to inquire about our experience. I have eaten at some of the best steak houses on the planet, from the Wynn in Macau to Jean George’s in NYC, this experience was as unique as any we have enjoyed anywhere. Thanks for an awesome dinner and book with confidence.

Argentinian restaurant
Steak house
Located in Downtown Cincinnati, Butcher and Barrel is a South American-style steakhouse that offers an authentic dining experience in a rustic-chic setting. The restaurant features Latin American and Italian-inspired cuisine, with a focus on traditional Argentinian Parrilla grilling. Dishes include empanadas, chorizo, bolognese, and the popular Milanesa Napolitana.
The meal we had here while visiting the area on a work trip was one of the best meals I believe any of us have ever had! Our waiter was very friendly and very helpful! I personally had a filet and a side of Mac and cheese with the bread service and it was to die for! I will definitely be returning to this restaurant if I am ever in the Cincinnati area again, or I might just have to make a special trip!

Pictured is the chicken napoleon, surf & turf, short rib gnocchi, fried deviled eggs, empanada trio, creme brûlée, chocolate cheesecake, and bread pudding with 3 menu cocktails and 3 strawberry lemon lemon drop martinis. Everything was a flavor explosion and well curated flavor profiles. Service was slow but she was very nice and recommended these great options!

We had dinner at the Butcher and Barrell in downtown Cincinnati while in town to watch the Lions defeat the Bengals and thoroughly enjoyed our experience! They have a large variety of meat cuts and old fashioned cocktails to choose from. The Australian Waygu steak was absolutely delicious and I highly recommend the smashed redskin potatoes with goat cheese!

A nice place but overpriced for sure. $300+ for 3 of us with a shared appetizer and dessert and 3 drinks. At this price I would expect white table cloth service and what we experienced was more like Applebee’s service. It wasn’t bad but it certainly didn’t live up to the price. For one, they sat us at a bar table even though we had a reservation a week in advance. Server was slow to greet us and although he was friendly he didn’t really take the time to engage. The Empanada trio was delicious but after clearing the appetizer plates the bus person told us to save our silverware even though we asked if it would be refreshed for our entrees. So we laid our used silverware down on the bare wooden table top for the next course. Yuck! We had the Coulette Pichana steak (which the server couldn’t explain), the Lobster Ravioli and the Short Rib Gnocchi. Everything was delicious although greatly overpriced. Drinks were slow to come to the table when we first arrived. Several dark TVs at the bar led us to believe they didn’t work and took away from making the atmosphere livelier. It’s hard to recommend against this restaurant since the food was so good but we know there are many other options in the area for better value and better service. We dined at The Eagle the next night and absolutely loved it (great food and value).

We went to celebrate my son graduating high school. Josh was our waiter and he was fantastic! Kudos on the most exceptional service. He talked about the menu, made recommendations, answered any questions we had and was the most friendly gentleman! We had a variety of food. Appetizers were fried deviled eggs and the empanada trio. I could have eaten all the fried deviled eggs because they are so good! My main course was Skirt Steak Gnocchi which I give 10/10 highly recommend! One person has the Surf and Turf and he said it was really great. Another person in our party had the 20 oz bone in ribeye and he said it was Devine. Another person had the 16 oz ribeye and enjoyed every bite. The youngest in the group got Mac and Cheese with fries and was happy with that. For dessert we had the Tiramisu Mousse, the Bread Pudding, Hazelnut Crème Brûlée, and the Godiva Chocolate Cheesecake. Every one of them was delicious! My favorite was the crème brûlée!

I ordered the empanadas and papas bravas. I did switch out the rib for another chicken. Served with both red and green chimichurri; both very good. The potatoes came out with a tangy sauce that I would say is similar to Thousand Island dressing. I did ask for ranch, and they were much better with the ranch to dip in. Also, the Raspberry Sorbet is soft and creamy. Delish! Jen, my waitress was awesome! I will definitely come back and try something different. Yum!

Crossed the river to try out Lisse and it did not disappoint! We definitely recommend. We were both so stuffed we had to skip dessert (which you know never happens). The wedge had a zesty, fresh dressing that was divine. We ordered steaks with garlic and herb butter with their signature Brussels sprouts and Gouda mac & cheese for sides. Excellent service in a beautiful space right off the park. Five stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

What I really liked was how many options there were for seating, inside outside but also different rooms and city or scenic sides for rooftop. My husband and I finally chose the scenic rooftop side for dinner since there was an event city side and a bit noisy but I know some love that too. The food was excellent and our waitress was more than accommodating.. Enjoyed the cocktails and steak, loving that there were so many gluten free options. Hutspot was really good! Will be back again.

Took the wife here for her birthday, overall we enjoyed it, steak was great, but the sides we got were starting to get cold (think we noticed this mentioned in other reviews too) but they still tasted ok, since it was my wife's birthday they even gave her a free dessert which was greatly appreciated, service was great, we did make a reservation so we didn't have any issues getting a table

True Score- 4.56/5 Stars This experience was honestly incredible. The food was excellent, the service was fantastic, and the facilities were great. Interestingly, this is apace where you can either spend a lot of money, or even stay under 100 and have a fantastic meal. We started the evening with the Bitterballen, and honestly, the dish was extremely disappointing. The balls were very small, and for 10 dollars, you only get 5 of them They tasted great enough, but I would strongly advise against ordering them unless they up the quantity. With that, we also each had a Kentucky Sunset, which was a great cocktail. We each ordered the ribeye, and it was so flavorful and cooked to perfection. One of the best steaks I have ever had. We ordered two sides, the hotsput and the Dutch Mac and Cheese. Both were so good, and also served in sharable portions. The hotsput was nothing like anything I have ever had (in a good way) and the Mac and cheese was very creamy but not liquid-y. We finished the night with an order of the boterkoek, which was sweet and delicious. Service was extraordinary. Our server was so personable, easy going, and timely. I believe service can make or break an experience, and frankly every restaurant should aspire to be like Lisse in this regard. I believe John F(?) was our server, and he was great! Cost was great. Many dishes are pretty cheap, however you can also go pretty big here. For everything we got, it was roughly 250 dollars, but you could easily come here and spend under 100 for two people. Very versatile financially which I think is AWESOME! The restaurant had beautiful design inside and out. It felt very clean, modern, and upscale. Pretty casual dress code, and overall a comfortable place. My favorite part was the stained glass on the first floor! I believe there is rooftop seating, but I did not get to go up there. Overall, one of the best dining experiences I have ever had. The appetizer was the only flaw on this beautiful restaurant. I would love love love to come back, and I will be suggesting it to anybody that I know. NOTE: Star rating based on my own formula consisting of flavor, cost, facilities, service, and overall satisfaction. Reviews are subject to change based on future visits.

Losanti is a laid-back steakhouse located at 1401 Race St. in Over-the-Rhine, Cincinnati. The restaurant offers a casual dining experience with a folksy and kitschy ambiance. It's situated in the former Anchor-OTR space and pays homage to the original Cincinnati settlement of Losantiville dating back to 1788. The establishment provides non-traditional seating arrangements, including a bar and patio overlooking Washington Park and Music Hall.
The food and service were absolutely amazing! Tried a bunch of stuff as it was our first time. The focaccia and the butter cake were highlights, as were the amazing drinks! Our waiter Nick was great and explained the menu well. Definitely will be back!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Incredible Dining Experience at Losanti Italian Steakhouse! We had an outstanding evening at Losanti! While we waited just a few minutes for our table, we enjoyed perfectly made martinis at the bar—crafted by a true mixology pro. The atmosphere was warm, stylish, and welcoming. Our appetizers were amazing—focaccia, fresh oysters on the half shell, delicious meatballs, vodka pasta and hands down the best French onion soup I’ve ever had. Rich, flavorful, and absolutely unforgettable. Dinner was next-level. Our steaks were cooked exactly to order, incredibly tender and flavorful. The wine by the glass was a great pairing, and the selection was spot on. Service was attentive and friendly from start to finish. Prices were very fair given the high quality of everything—food, drinks, service, and ambiance. If you're in Cincinnati, Losanti is a must-visit. Highly recommended!

If you come for the food you be blessed with a simple and great selection. The value is there and made well, ….plated….meh. I was surprised by the fact that their great tasting food was so basically served. BUT I understand not all restaurants need to show off when honestly you’re getting a great steak or pasta served. I asked for minor condiments, and also had the longest wait for a drink. Maybe because it was an off day I don’t know, don’t care. I wish we had a better time at this restaurant as I feel that the potential is there, and some dishes (the wedge, the gnocchi, the butter cake , the onion soup) were absolutely delicious, and I would probably return just for them. But unfortunately, the steak was below average. Not really seasoned very well, and didn’t have that “steakhouse crust” you look for when you go to a top steakhouse. While the service was attentive, the timing was terrible. Our salads/soups/apps all arrived about 10 mins after ordering, which was great. But then our entrees arrived five minutes after that! There wasn’t even room on the table for both. I guess the kitchen was in a rush to close out the ticket. I have to admit, I was kinda surprised since this place was listed as a Top 10 in Cincinnati Magazine, so I guess I was expecting a more “Jeff Ruby” experience — but for the price we paid ($300 for three people) it needed to be way better. Maybe we got them on an off night, so I can forgive the timing/delivery of food, but that steak just wasn’t very good. I can absolutely recommend the butter cake though!

Service was excellent. The atmosphere was lovely. The food was just ok. We started with the meatballs as an appetizer. We thought those were pretty good. For entrees, my husband had the Amish chicken marsala, and I had the Vodka pasta. My pasta was good , but I wouldn't consider it overly memorable. My husband's meal was not so good. It was basically chicken served on a bed of mushrooms with no sauce or anything. It lacked flavor. I will say that the chicken was tender, though. Overall, it was a disappointing meal for this price point.

This has always been one of my all-time favorite restaurants to hit Cincinnati, but our experience this past week was more underwhelming than usual. The ambiance was beautiful, as always, but there was an awkward period where the music was shut off for I’d say around 15+ minutes before it was turned back on - it was the end of the night, but with guests still in the building I found it odd. The building itself is stunning though, the music - when playing - is very soulful and fits the aesthetic, the artwork is inspiring. It is whole heartedly art decco - giving New Orleans. Our server Vinny also did a great job taking care of us. He was very attentive, kind, personable, knowledgable and considerate - a gem I would be sure to keep on staff! I was surprised to find we hadn’t had our focaccia boxed (it was delicious) but I think that was just a miscommunication on my friends behalf. I will say the oysters were some of the best I’ve ever had, the mocktail was delicious (a recommendation by Vinny - again, he did a great job), and the sides were wonderful, especially the elotes (corn). However, unfortunately my steak was overcooked - ordered medium rare & served medium - this time & my friend’s salmon was flavorless, although out of respect he indulged - I was a bit disappointed given how much I’d raved about this restaurant to him. Then, coming to dessert, which was why we chose Losanti in particular - the port gelato is the most incredible gelato I’ve ever had & I constantly find myself craving it… we were given the dessert menu with the port as a listed option only to find that they are no longer intending to make or serve the port gelato. I hate to hear this! It was SO good, and a staple every time I’ve been. Nonetheless, it was made up for with a caramel gelato (still very delicious) affogato with a salted chocolate chip cookie on top. I must say despite the disappointment, the dessert was incredible and definitely hit the spot. The staff, previous experiences and consideration for dining at the end of the night, working in the industry, is why I rated our experience a 4/5, although quite frankly - I’m sad to say - even being the end of the night, I find it important to provide consistent guest experiences to the best of a restaurant’s ability and many of the concerns over the course of our evening were controllables, and consequentially this experience would’ve been rated lower.

I visited after a recommendation and made the drive from Lexington for my birthday dinner. Since I was dining solo, I opted for a bar seat overlooking the street, which made for a pleasant setting. Overall the meal was both quite enjoyable and the equally disappointing leaving me unsure of any intent to revisit. Memorable: 1. The Manager – Exceptionally attentive and professional. She stepped in seamlessly when an issue with my steak arose (more on that below), and her warmth and attentiveness made a real difference. Our brief conversations added a welcome personal touch to the evening. 2. Kale Caesar Salad – Perfectly dressed and incredibly flavorful. Best bite of the evening. 3. Gnocchi – Homemade and served in a creamy truffle sauce. I requested no sage (not a personal favorite)- though it was included anyway the dish was balanced and delicious. Misses: 1. Service Tone – While my server was generally attentive though not invested. He stopped by my window seat often enough though our interactions felt rushed and I became frustrated with the details that seemed to go unheard or unnoticed. 2. Drink Refill – My drink was never refilled throughout the meal. I ended up sipping melted ice. 3. Steak Saga – The steak was why I chose this restaurant. I ordered a medium-rare ribeye but received (what looked like) a well-done New York strip. It was grisly to slice into and very hard to see any pink. While the server seemed genuinely surprised/confused when I brought this to his attention, the manager quickly stepped in and graciously offered to replace it. She stated that all that mattered was my satisfaction which I genuinely appreciated. The new steak was a medium ribeye which was generally good. At this point I had eaten my pasta and was mostly full- when I asked to take the steak home, none of the accompanying sauces (which I had paid for and barely touched) were included in the box. 4. Dessert – To make up for the steak mishap, a complimentary butter cake was kindly offered. I was genuinely excited though took most of it home due to being full. (I love butter cakes and I would definitely recommend this one to any guest!) Unfortunately, the ice cream I had pushed to the side was packaged in the same container, which continued to melt and soaked into the cake. By the time I got to Lexington and was ready for a midnight snack - it was soggy and unappetizing. The meal had good moments which were equally countered with some frustrations- my check came to $115 before tip and the experience just didn’t add up to that.

Love Eli to the moon and back. The staff she leads provide excellent timely service, even for a walk in on a weekend night. We were in a rush but it didn’t matter because everything came out so quickly. Whatever amount of time we ended up being late by was because we were occupied enjoying the food, not because we were waiting on it. The Caesar is as good if not better than Sotto. The crisp green beans that come with the crab cake were an unexpected, interesting touch. The lobster pasta is very much worth it!!! My friend loved the French onion soup but I’m not really one for soup. Can’t wait to come back with a proper reservation. I’ll sooner be returning to Losanti than I will be going out of my way to try another place that would be new to me downtown:)

Walt's Hitching Post in Fort Wright is a rustic-chic, horse racing-themed smokehouse that has been around since the 1950s. The restaurant offers classic menu items like fried chicken, country fried steak, and fried chicken livers. Known for their delicious ribs with Walt's signature secret sauce, the place also provides private party space for various events. Additionally, they offer takeout options for their entire menu from ribs to steaks to pork chops and sandwiches.
We had an excellent meal at Walt's. I had the Affirmed filet over Gouda potato pancake, spinach, and onion straws. My husband had the special which was a bone in ribeye with Bleu cheese and blackened scallops. Our salads were also fresh and delicious, BLT wedge and the Big Blue. Their salted rye bread is the bomb. The servicers were attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly.

We live in the area and decided to come to Walt's for our first time based on local recommendations. I got the elk ribeye and my wife got a bone in beef ribeye with crab cake. For dessert we got the cheesecake and carrot cake. The food was very good. Steaks cooked well for the most part, definitely not overdone. I visit many higher end restaurants around the country while traveling for work and this was the best cheesecake I've had at any restaurant so far. Now the reason for the review, we arrived five minutes before our reservation and were not seated until ten minutes after our reservation. While waiting, many parties (two or so couples and two or 3 larger groups) large and small were coming in behind us and being immediately seated while we still waited. We were told they were late for their earlier reservations and we had to wait because they were backed up. This was confusing, because many tables were already set up and waiting, we weren't waiting on patrons to finish dining. In response to a complaint by us they comped one of our desserts, but even so, during the discussion the manager dismissively implied that's just the way it is but she'll comp a dessert for us. This was highly unusual service compared to other high end restaurants I've visited in Cincinnati, Cleveland, and Chicago. Never before have I had to wait because other parties had not arrived. Food was great but I will not be coming back to Walt's.

Great restaurant with really good food (not amazing). The bison was really good and the chicken was nothing special. It was fine though. The halit special is good if you like fish. The mac n cheese wasn't great. The service was good and it was a nice atmosphere that wasn't too tight or crammed. The free bread is amazing.

Old school type of restaurant, reminds me of some place. My parents would have visited. The menu offered a variety of choices, I found a family favorite hot slaw, identical to how I grew up. I had the steak and mushrooms very flavorful. Would order it again. The service was prompt and fast.

The best thing i got was the bread 10/10 i had no idea was completely surprised how good it is, it has a salty crispy crunchy outside and a warm solf inside no butter needed i would eat a whole loaf, the Oysters Rockefeller 7/10, the hot slaw 5/10 the taste is good but only giving 5 tiny pieces of bacon is highly disappointing. the steak 7/10 pretty good no complaints. The ribs are cooked great and have a old style bbq sauce on them, but to me it tasted like straight tomato paste 3/10
Robert W — Google review
I took my mother here for her birthday and we really enjoyed our experience. The ribs were the talk of the table, our server got us the other type they have available to see if we liked them any better, they were just not our "style" but the steak, house salad, mashed potatoes and rye bread were delicious! The beer/wine list was impressive. The wait staff were very friendly, attentive and helpful. The atmosphere is relaxed and classy in my opinion, come as you are but shower first 😜 We had a great time at dinner and appreciate the staff for being there to help us navigate our first visit!

We just went yesterday for the first time. We were celebrating our 45th Anniversary so we wanted something extra special and it was. Our sever Nick was great and totally on top of everything. The food, well where do I begin? We started with their salted rye bread. Oh my gosh I've never had bread like that before. It was out of this world, but I ate too much. Our Onion soup was good. Hubby got the Wedge salad which was huge and really good too. My tossed salad was fine. I got the half slab of the fall of the bone ribs. They were good, not great, but I was definitely happy with them. My husband got the 18oz. Bone in Ribeye that was very good. Our sides were the cowboy baked potato and these to die for roasted brussel sprouts. Get them! We splurged and ordered and extra side of the Lobster Mac and cheese. It was worth the $25 price. We took home a piece of carrot cake since they said it was so good, which it was. My only complaint and I hate to even say this was I thought we might get a little something for our 45th Anniversary since my husband told them when making the reservation, but we didn't. It by no means took away from our phenomenal dinner. If you are looking for a special place to go for dinner I totally recommend Walt's Hitching Post.

Montgomery Inn The Boathouse is a renowned barbecue chain in Cincinnati, offering classic meat dishes smothered in sauce, as well as grills, salads, and seafood. One of its standout offerings is the famous Saratoga chips – thick kettle chips meant to be dipped in BBQ sauce. Locals often praise the Boathouse for serving the best Saratoga chips in town.
I had a great dining experience with my family at this location. The food was great and the service was even better (shout out to our server, Ron). Make sure to put in a reservation, because it is a BUSY location. The view is amazing with the water sitting right there. You will enjoy the ambiance, for sure!

For world famous, award winning ribs, I found them to be rather uninspired. They are simply oven roasted. Though cooked competently and with a lovely glazed sauce, it's nothing you can't do at home for 1/4 the price. I was really hoping for something wood smoked and kinda shocked it wasn't. 🤷‍♀️ The duck however was excellent and memorable. Perfectly cooked with a crisp skin. Delicate and savory. Coleslaw makes or breaks BBQ for me and their's was outstanding. The bartender made me an "old fashion" which was a rocks glass filled to the top with Buffalo Trace and a cherry in it. I was hammered. Lol 👍 The best part of my evening was our table location. Out on the patio overlooking the Ohio River. Couldn't be much better than that. And for dessert, an awesome fireworks display from the baseball stadium. I highly recommend the outside seating.

Montgomery Inn - The Boathouse is a great place to have a relaxing dinner. You can valet your car easily or park on the street. The restaurant is right on Riverside Drive and seating overlooks the river. BBQ and seafood here is very good and they offer generous portions. We were there a bit ago and had no trouble getting seating without a reservation. Although I would recommend it during summer and holiday seasons. My shrimp starter was uniquely flavorful as was my entree of broiled fish. The ribs and smoked chicken dinner were delicious. Served hot with fresh vegetables and thier own bbq sauce; tangy and excellent! This is a great place for special occasions. Business meetings and dates!

Fabulous! Food scrumptious! The view of the Ohio River was magnificent! We dined outside on the balcony celebrating a 75th birthday! We had a wonderful time and was not rushed at all. Nice and relaxing evening for the 4 of us. You can dress up or come as you are!

Enjoying a Cincinnati tradition with friendly staff made for a delightful and memorable evening at the Montgomery Inn Boathouse. The boathouse offers a relaxing atmosphere with spectacular views of the Ohio River. We started with Gulf Shrimp Cantonese, served with hot mustard and plum sauce, followed by tender ribs cooked to perfection, accompanied by crispy Saratoga chips. Overall, it was a great experience.

Montgomery Inn is a top-notch dining experience! We had a large group of 14 people, and the service was impeccable, thanks to our amazing waitress Ally. The food was truly exceptional - I had the 8oz filet, cooked and seasoned to perfection. The addition of their famous fried onions was a game-changer, adding a delightful crunch and flavor. The béarnaise sauce was also rich and tasty. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it an ideal spot for a special occasion or night out with friends. We'll definitely be back!

Make sure you sit outside for an nice view! We sat at the end of the porch and I think the guy kinda forgot about us a little bit here and there but it was a beautiful night so we didn't mind much and like I said we were at the end so I'm sure it was tough to make sure we all were taken care of. Anyways, the food was okay my husband loved it but I am picky! Lol

First time visit at this restaurant and I’m glad I tried it. My server Skyler was amazing! She was very attentive and made great recommendations. I opted for the shrimp cocktail appetizer, and the dinner special which included a salad and an entrée. I finished the evening off with apple pie for dessert. Everything I ordered was very good. I have to say that I would go back just for the apple pie. It was that good.

I had made a reservation a week in advance and really would have preferred to sit in the actual restaurant but was assigned a table in the bar section. If you make a reservation over a week in advance I would expect a table in the main dining area! I used the restroom before I left and there were a lot of open tables in the main dining area. My reservation was early enough they would have had time to turn the table before the dinner crowd arrived. There also seemed to be some confusion about whose section this was. Once that was sorted out I received great service from my waitress. A name like Shrimp Kisses is a lot to live up too. This appetizer was delish!!! Just the right combo of sweet and heat. The Salmon was perfectly cooked and the meal was very good.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had an absolutely outstanding experience at McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood & Steaks in Cincinnati. From the moment we sat down, the service was fabulous. Our server, Ashley, was truly spectacular—attentive, personable, and went above and beyond in every way. As restaurant owners ourselves, we know what great service looks like, and Ashley delivered it flawlessly. The food was equally incredible. The chicken and Wagyu steak were perfectly prepared, and the lobster bisque and clam chowder were both rich and delicious. The oysters on the half shell were fresh and spectacular, and the shrimp kisses might honestly be one of the best things I’ve ever tasted. This is a five-star experience all the way—for the food, the atmosphere, and especially for Ashley’s amazing service. We’ll absolutely be back!

This is now my absolutely favorite brunch spot. For starters we had Steve as a waiter, he was the best! The French toast skewers were a fantastic starter and of course loved the mimosas. But where I was the most impressed was with the steak and eggs! The strip steak was cooked perfectly and had a TON of flavor. I guess I should haven’t been surprised given this place is always rated having the best steaks- but wow. Highly recommend!!

I had high hopes. I came here solo and got poutine, ny strip, Mac n cheese, house salad, brussel sprouts and an old fashioned. Got the steak medium. Everything was a lot more mid than I had hoped or read about. The poutine was cool. I liked the cheese curds and subtle spicy "gravy" on it. The brussel sprouts and Mac n cheese are MID! I can do much better at home, all of you can. The steak seemed oddly colored, like maybe it was frozen(??). Just not what I expected and came out a bit more mid rare (I anticipated this based on previous review I read). Overall, 3 stars, max on this visit. My strip was on special so prob $5 off but I wonder if it's bc they have too much supply and just needed to off load em. Breakdown of price is in the photos so y'all know what's up

Service was amazing. Austin was great. Our reservation for 15 was not in their system which I reserved many, many weeks ago. Staff was accommodating and we sat in 5 mins (or less) in a spacious area. There was no squeezing us in to make it work like some places do. Food was great everyone loved what they had. Loved the Bavarian pretzel-its huge and everyone grabbed a piece. I had the Buddha bowl with chicken. Large portion and delicious 😋

Incredible spot on our travel through Cincy. We got the Black Hawk burger and it was so good! two smash burgers really hit the spot. I had dinner and breakfast here with my mom. First and foremost, the service was lovely both days: attentive, kind, and respectful! Both waitresses engaged in conversation with us and were very present. My highlights: the shrimp toast was amazing! So so fresh. The bread had a wonderfully soft texture that paired perfectly with the cold, crunchy shrimp salad. My breakfast was delicious. The potatoes were to die for-crispy skin, lots of flaky sea salt—perfect. They gave me a delicious tart jam to pair with my buttery, toasted sourdough. So fantastic. My mom didn’t love her breakfast as much as me. She had the eggs Benedict and said it was “okay.” She wished the coffee was stronger/richer. The homemade lemon cotton candy was creative and refreshing. The salmon dinner didn’t 100% meld for me. I loved the sauce and salmon, but the greens could have used a light vinaigrette. The potato chips didn’t add much to the dish for me. My mom got the gnocchi goat cheese and chicken. So deliciously rich with lots of great flavors and yummy breadcrumbs. We also got the cold asparagus-quite tasty! Overall a must try! Lots of creative and delicious meals.

We had reservations at 6:15 on a Saturday night. We were seated right away and our server Sean (sp) was lovely and very attentive. The space is open but cozy at the same time. We started with two glasses of the French rose- a well balanced wine that went with the dishes we ordered. We were torn between the focaccia with butter and oil, or the fancy focaccia. Sean suggested the fancy one. The focaccia was excellent, but it was covered with so much cheese (not stated in the description), that we could hardly taste the prosciutto jam. We would have much preferred to taste the fluffy bread with a good olive oil or butter and keep it pure. Our second starter was the spicy Ahi tuna toast. It arrived with a very unappetizing looking mixture of a tuna and black garlic mixture that did not look at all like we expected. And the pieces of brioche on which it was served was too thick. The taste was fantastic though. If this dish were tweaked to look better, we would order it again. For our mains we had the Wagyu ravioli, and the Salmon Au Poivre. Upon arrival at the table, the ravioli looked like it had too much sauce, but the sauce was so well-balanced and lighter than it appeared. It was SO delicious. The beef inside was tender and had great beefy flavor. You would think a pepper sauce with 5 kinds of pepper (Sean told us this) would be too strong for salmon, but oh no it was not! The salmon was cooked to a perfect medium rare and had crispy skin. Highly recommend. The bean puree underneath was tasty, but there was no discernable grilled artichoke in the frisee salad. There were two tiny piece of what tasted like canned artichokes. We have eaten at Metropole over the years with a few different chefs at the helm. Chef Cova is making a strong first impression with us. We will joyfully return to try more of his menu.

SO SO GOOD. Favorites were the wedge salad, garlic focaccia, and beef tartare, but everything else was so yummy. Very kind staff on a busy Friday night and everything was delicious. Will for sure come back again!

Our server was knowledgeable, funny, and attentive. Could not ask for more. My wife and I had 4 cocktails and we both loved all 4 of them. We had the tomato and mozzarella to start, it was light and flavorful. For the mains we had the Amish chicken and the salmon with white beans. We enjoyed both dishes, I thought the chicken was maybe the best fried chicken I ever had. We got dessert too and guess what.... I have been to a lot of hotel restaurants and usually they are lack luster at best but this one is a true gem. The Metropole is easily one of Cincinnati's best restaurants hidden right in front of us.

I have been coming to Metropole since 2018. While it's always been a good experience, Chef Cory, the current executive chef, has elevated the dining experience to a level that is on par with Agni in Columbus. The skill demonstrated in his dishes is not commonly found in Cincy and will delight even the most experienced restaurant patrons. The gnocchi is outstanding and gave me pause after every bite. The beef cheek ravioli contains layers of complex flavors that somehow comes together so well. Finally, the cruller is made fresh and so delicious and warm that all of us had to order our own. Every dish we had was memorable and culminated in the best meal I've had in years. Highly recommend checking this place out, especially if you haven't been for a while.

Nice ambiance but the restaurant smelled like sewage. We waited over an hour for food; it was modestly busy but not busy enough the justify a wait this long. Food was served hot and was very good. The service at the bar was inattentive and vaguely snarky. The manager delivered our food and made modest apologies for the wait but no offer to make it right. I'm just visiting but would not go back.

Mita's Restaurant is a stylish establishment located in Downtown Cincinnati, offering a blend of Spanish and Latin American cuisine. The restaurant pays homage to Chef Jose Salazar's heritage and his mother's traditional cooking methods. The menu at Mita's is described as eclectic and farm-inspired, featuring a mix of traditional and modern dishes from both regions.
A lovely place for a dinner downtown! We split four tapas between two people and it made for a perfect dinner. The cocktails were smooth and well-balanced in their flavors, and our waiter’s recommendations for tapas were perfect. I highly recommend the tostones and avocado, the octopus, and the pork belly tacos. The meal left us feeling pleasantly full but not so stuffed that we couldn’t enjoy the rest of our night. Can’t wait to go back!

I’ve been wanting to try Mira’s for a long time. I made a dinner reservation online. I got the jicama ensalada, it’s was a little bitter but still fresh and served as a good starter. We got the ceviche de camarones, so shrimp. So good, very fresh a little tart. I love plantains any style but they complimented well. The short rib empanadas we my favorite. The had so much flavor and I loved the sauce. I also really enjoyed the pork belly tacos they were so so tender. The bartender made us a blanco cucumber marg as a dealer choice that was perfect. I will say there spicy marg are spicyyy. You’ve been warned lmao

Juan was excellent. Very friendly and knowledgeable. We made the mistake of not being very hungry, because everything was incredible and we wish we were able to try more. We tried the white sangria, tostones y guacamole, jamón serrano, patatas bravas, and tacos de lengua. The tostones and tacos were my two favorites. Their flavors were well balanced and comforting. Overall it was a very nice experience and it makes senses that they are a James Beard nominated restaurant.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Spectacular dining experience at Mita’s! From start to finish, this was one of the most enjoyable meals we’ve had in Cincinnati. Every small bite was a flavor explosion; just one after another, each more creative and delicious than the last. The burgers were excellent, the cheeseboard was fantastic, and the empanadas were absolutely to die for. And then came dessert… the cheesecake and cookies were beyond amazing; the perfect sweet finish. As good as the food was, what really made the evening special was the service. Our server, Carmen, was outstanding; engaging, polite, and full of great conversation that made us feel right at home. She truly elevated the experience. As the owners of Grounded All Day Café in Lexington, we know the importance of both spectacular food and genuine hospitality; Mita’sdelivers both in spades. Whenever we leave our hometown for Cincinnati, it’s such a joy to find a place that makes us feel so welcomed and so well fed. Five stars all the way!

Recommend making a reservation. Go to spot for anniversary and special occasions. I’m not a fan of margaritas but Mitas margaritas are top notch! Pork belly tacos are heaven. Always go for the bread with romesco, shishito peppers, hamburguesas, and tostones and guac. Favorite restaurant in the area!

I love every single dish I have ever received. If you think you know what's it's going to taste like, expect to be impressed as they somehow have a way of elevating flavors I didn't know was possible. I dream of the bread and olive oil, I have tried to recreate the shishito peppers, and I will always order the chef's specials. Mitas seems to outdo themselves over and over again. This is my favorite restaurant, hands down the best you can get.

The food is very delectable, it will dance on your taste buds. You will leave very satisfied and probably with no leftovers. I actually had a hard time getting out of my chair because I was so full. The service is absolutely wonderful. The staff is super nice, warm, and friendly. The pay attention to the needs of their customers. The ambiance of the restaurant is warm and Friendly. I would highly recommend this spot if you like good vibes and amazing food.

Wow! I’ve dined all other the world at Michelin star restaurants and this really impressed me! As a vegetarian it can be tough to find a great tapas menu that’s interesting but this James Beard award winning locale manages it!

Steak house
Morton's The Steakhouse is a upscale chain for aged prime beef, seafood & other traditional steakhouse fare in a clubby space. It's husband's favorite steakhouse so Mrs. Jackson went there for 1st father's day together and everything was as expected- good food, reasonable prices, and large servings of lobster mac and cheese which was $26.
Fantastic steakhouse located downtown Cincinnati near Fountain Square. We were warmly greeted upon arrival and spent a lively time at the bar while waiting for all of our party to arrive. The views from this 2nd story location were great and contributed to the ambiance of the dining room. Several appetizers were ordered, but the prosciutto wrapped mozzarella sticks were particularly good. I believe they were served with a balsamic glaze and red onions; not what I was expecting, but really good. My entrees was a New York strip steak served Oscar style with crabmeat and asparagus. My wife had the Chicken Christopher, 2 boneless chicken breast's, flattened and served with a creamy combination chicken broth/white wine sauce with onions, garlic and parmesan cheese. Both entrees were great and cooked to perfection; unfortunately, they were served luke warm -- my rationale for the single star deduction. Perhaps that was a result of the size of our party (9 people), but I still expected more from a seasoned, high-price steakhouse. The service was great as we were fortunate to have Zach taking care of us. Plenty of garage parking is available very nearby, and valet parking is offered on weekends. I will definitely return, but only as a couple or two. Finally, note that management did make up for the cold food.

Came in on Christmas 🎄 and sat at the bar. The food was delicious and service was excellent I knocked off a star due to parking.. The restaurant is located downtown and there was no street parking allowed I didn’t see anyone at the restaurant to Valet the car so me and a few other cars risked it and parked where there were no street parking signs in front of the restaurant thankfully we didn’t get a ticket or worse a Tow! There’s a hotel across the street with public/valet parking which I heard a few folks in the restaurant say they utilized.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at an exceptional steak house, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience. I ordered a medium-cooked steak with lobster, and it was cooked to perfection with a beautiful sear on the outside and tender, juicy meat inside. The lobster was fresh and succulent, complementing the steak perfectly. To top it off, I had the lobster mac and cheese on the side, which was creamy, cheesy, and generously portioned. The side portions are quite large, making it perfect for sharing or enjoying a hearty meal. Overall, the quality of the food, the generous portions, and the impeccable service made for an outstanding dining experience. Highly recommend!

This was pretty much what you would expect for an upscale steakhouse. The food was tasty, on the pricey side (as expected). We went for our parents' anniversary so they had menus printed out specifically for us which was cute. Service was a little slow, but they wanted you to enjoy all the courses offered. As far as "fancy" restaurants go, it's not my favorite, not super memorable. Also, they charge you a fee to have your leftovers boxed to go, that was a first for me.

Hubby and I went here for our fifth anniversary this evening. Everything was excellent!! The steaks were so tender we could cut them with our forks. They gave us a free dessert and took a photo and placed it in a frame for us. Love how they make special moments into sweet memories. My husband got the wagyu steak, and was NOT disappointed! He didn't stop smiling for a couple of hours. Lol. 🤩

Blown away!! From the moment we stepped foot into the building we were treated with the upmost care and professionalism. This was our first time dining at Morton’s and wow. It was for our 21st anniversary which we made note of this while booking the reservation. Nowadays when customer care is non existent everyone that greeted us acknowledged our anniversary!! Now to the service and food: Cajun steak was out this world tender and flavorful, took me to another world dancing with pink elephants Chicken Christopher was delicious bursting with flavor, juicy, and crispy. Brussels sprouts with bacon!! Sour cream mashed potatoes amazing Alcohol drinks: Watermelon smash & Blackberry Mojito excellent Atmosphere: Good lighting, furniture, and clean carpet, and enough space between tables to still allow some private conversation Our host Julie (I hope she doesn’t mind giving her name) made our experience so enjoyable. Very attentive, made excellent suggestions to add to the meal, and had a personality that was professional but not to serious. I don’t even know what they are paying her but they need to give her a raise!! Overall I can’t say enough about how great or experience was. Would definitely recommend to anyone for a great experience. We will be returning

I visited this restaurant for dinner with my husband and another couple this past Friday. I really like this restaurant but unfortunately, meals and service are inconsistent. Our last dinner was disappointing. For some reason, the first round of drinks always takes a long time to arrive. The dining room was busy and I don't know if the bartender needs help but it really shouldn't take 20 minutes to get a drink. Also, after the drinks were delivered, one of the orders was wrong. We weren't seeing our server, Fernando, so my friend got up and walked to the bar for a fresh drink. This shouldn't happen in a restaurant considered as fine dining. My husband order the pork chop. It was a generous size and he said it was very good. Our side dish of potatoes au gratin was also very good and more than enough for two. The big problem was that both steaks ordered were overcooked. I made it a point to order mine "seared". I really enjoy a "very rare" steak. After our entrees were delivered, we didn't see our server to have the steaks sent back. Our reservation was for 7pm and we didn't receive it meals until about 8pm. At this point, we were hungry, so we ate the steaks rather than waiting longer for our server. He never came back to check if out meals were ok. A manager did check after awhile and we told her our issue. A restaurant that is known as a steakhouse shouldn't overcook the steaks! A meal that I was really looking forward to ended up as disappointing. We finally left at 9pm. I like a leisurely meal, but two hours? Our server, Fernando, was friendly but scarce during our dining.

Wow! Incredible service, mouth watering food, and excellent atmosphere. Our waiter was so personable and friendly. We had Blue Moon which was ice cold and so refreshing. I could not decide between the Lobster Ravioli and Salmon the waiter recommended the Salmon which I am so happy he did, it was excellent! The Filet was cooked to perfection! We enjoy our meat rare and seldomly is this actually achieved as after sitting it normally is closer to medium rare which is great to but this was perfect! The lobster was so flavorful. The Lobster Mac was so creamy, it is a must try! For dessert our waiter recommended the Raspberry Cheesecake, we took this to go and WOW was it good! Definitely a must try steakhouse if you are in town. *the sides are big, definitely enough for a couple

Embers Restaurant is a sophisticated dining spot that offers an upscale selection of surf 'n' turf and sushi, along with a tempting happy-hour menu. The restaurant presents an array of sushi rolls, including traditional options like spicy tuna and California rolls, as well as unique creations such as the Kobe roll featuring avocado, salmon, crab, grilled kobe beef, wasabi mayo and jalapenos. In addition to sushi rolls, Embers also serves nigiri options and sashimi platters.
I cannot say enough good things about this place. We ordered 6 different sushi rolls and they were all delicious. Best sushi I’ve had in Ohio, maybe best I’ve had anywhere. The cocktails were great as well and the crab cake appetizer was amazing. The service was spectacular, our waitress was extremely nice and helpful. My husband took me here for my birthday and when the waitress heard we were there celebrating, she gave us a dessert on the house. That being said, the creme brûlée was the best I’ve ever had, I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it since. We will definitely be returning and recommending this place to everyone we know!

Nice place for a celebratory occasion. The atmosphere is great and everyone is very friendly. It’s well lit, not too hot or too cold, but after about an hour the chairs (we had a 4 top and not a booth, which is fine) are not very comfy. I had the chicken which was good, not outstanding but good. The three red meat eaters all had steak. I was told the filet was a bit dry and the ribeye didn’t have a lot of flavor (he said it could have used some butter in the sear). We also started with sushi which was good but could have been rolled better, it basically fell apart when we picked it up. I was also told the duck fat fries were really good. I doubt we’d frequent again, it was pricey and there are better cuts of meat elsewhere.

This place was seriously so good. I've been hesitant to try it out because it looks like a chain restaurant on the outside. But it was beautiful inside and the steak was one of the best I've had since being in the area. The roasted garlic with it was a really nice touch. Good service.

Ordered a manhattan and tried to get the sweet vermouth eliminated but was informed its premixed. The drink came out sweeter than I like. The GM said he has had the same issue and brought me a shot of bourbon to even it out at no cost. I hadn’t been here in a while and this type of interaction and service nudges me to return sooner.

My husband and I tried Embers for the first time on Saturday and we weren't disappointed. Our server, Nick, was amazing and walked us through the menu and all the specials. We started with an Ocean roll and a California roll. We shared a Cesar Salad and each of us had a NY strip. For our side we had the au gratin potatoes and skipped out on dessert because we were too full. The sushi was really good and overall the steaks had good flavor, not quite Ruby quality but up there.

Our service in our private room was top notch. The wines selected by our server were very good. Cocktails very good. Bread service was great. I split the green goddess salad and it was perfect. The steaks however were not good. Three of us ordered different steaks-Tomahawk , the New York strip and filet. Unfortunately all were not very tender. Also the bleu cheese topping on my tomahawk was not appealing. I thought it was supposed to be like a crust but it was just half melted and not good. The Boursin potatoes were also disappointing. The Oreo donut dessert was very tasty.

The cozy dining room provides the perfect backdrop for enjoying a wide range of menu options, including tender filets, perfectly cooked seafood and chicken, as well as pasta and Atomic Age sides like shredded lettuce salads and complimentary pickles on every table.

Closing time not accurate. Attempted to dine in on a Wednesday at 8:15 and they were already “closed” according to a staff member. So I left. Came back a days later. Side items were the absolute best. Loved the salad with house dressing. The only thing I wasn’t a fan of was the steak (just the seasoning) everything els was fantastic Service was on the slower side but still nice. Still a little disappointed about their hours tho.

Well, I had really high expectations. The atmosphere is phenomenal. Classic 40's vibe. The server was even better. She was mixing drinks, serving, etc. never missed a beat. What is most impressive about her was the AC was broken. So it got very warm inside, but she kept moving with a great attitude. We ordered steaks because that is what you do when you go to a steak place. They were decent for the price. The issue we had was the kitchen accidentally cooked our steaks in reverse. How I wanted mine is how they prepared the other steak and vice versa. They made it correct for us, with sincerity. In fact they even comped us a desert for the inconvenience. All in all, given the broken AC, we are willing to visit again and give it a try. The upside potential is worth it.

Diamond in the rough, hidden gem in the city. The atmosphere and service here was top notch. The prime rib, mashed potatoes, salad and rolls are better than Lawrys in Las Vegas. This place raises the bar, high.

We visited for the first time on 10/3/2025 and right from the start things went downhill. I had made reservations the week before and upon arrive it appeared they lost them. The hoist asked where we wanted to sit and I told him we had never been here before, put us some place nice. He sat us in the bar area with a floor fan blowing directly on us. (I had to ask when the main course arrived to have it moved) Our waitress was friendly and attentive, and did take good care of bringing our food when it was ready. My wife and I ordered the shrimp cocktail for the appetizer and for our main corse we each ordered the small filet mignon (5 oz) medium rare with buttered mushrooms for me and broccoli for her. The shrimp were good, but not outstanding. The salads came and were typical shredded lettuce salads, the lettuce was fresh and cold. The main course came out and the steaks were overcooked, more medium well than medium rare and the cuts were not the best, gristle and fat in them. The sides were OK, but nothing special. We did try the cannolis for dessert and they were good, not the best. Overall the visit was very disappointing for an establishment that has been around for 75 years. You had one shot and it was a miss.

Just recently heard of this place, it’s approximately 35 mins from me, figured we’d give it a try. Good service, the steaks were decent, the salad was a bit sad, the spinach/pasta had zero heat to it. The atmosphere described by others fell short for us. Overall, it wasn’t bad but doubt we’ll be back.

Nestled in the charming town of Dayton, Kentucky, Trotta's Steak & Seafood offers a delightful dining experience that perfectly balances an upscale atmosphere with a relaxed ambiance. Founded by Kathleen Trotta, who drew inspiration from her extensive travels and culinary experiences across the United States, this cozy eatery has quickly become a beloved local gem. Guests rave about the mouthwatering dishes served at Trotta's, such as the tender filet mignon paired with creamy garlic mashed potatoes and generous portions of chicken parmesan.

Small, cozy restaurant with amazing food! I ordered the filet Mignon with garlic mashed potatoes. The steak was tender, juicy, and just overall delicious! I will say that the presentation could have been a little nicer, but it was still an amazing meal. My husband had the chicken parmesan and it was a large serving made with tender chicken. Meals come with complimentary bread and while I thought it was pretty good, my husband couldn't eat it due to the overwhelming amount of pepper on it. The restaurant itself is pretty small and broken up into a few different dining rooms. The main room has a piano and they had live music the Saturday evening we were there. It was loud in the main dining area, but perfect in our area up the stairs. Our service was good despite her being kept busy with large parties. There is a small lot behind the restaurant for parking or free street parking available.

First of all, what a cool building. It was a bank back in the days and you can see how a saver used to be! We our passing by the city and we decided to give it a try! Good decision! Excellent food and stuff, even though they were always coming to the table asking if everything was ok, we guess they were doing it because it was already end of the night and they had plenty of time. Food was really really good and with a reasonable price! If we pass by the city again we will diffidently stop!

Excellent location and excellent service. The reviews aren't wrong at all, the owner and chef were all eager to mingle and speak with their customers. The food was excellent. I'm pretty particular about steak, and my rib eye was made to near perfection. It didn't haven't any excessive seasoning or additions. I'd recommend this location and I will surely make a return visit. Oh! And the staff were very accommodating, they even allowed us to dine privately in the old bank safe. 2022 Update: returned after not visiting in a while and it's just as charming as ever. Bruschetta is amazing. The owners and staff are amazing.

Had 815pm resevation on Thursday 12-30-21 Got seated at 830pm Waited probably another 5 to 10 minutes before receiving service of water... we hurried and placed our food order immediately. 2 surf and turf dinners. And two cocktails. Cocktails were too strong. Got some bread with those for free of course Bread was a little small and on the hard side but good. So by now it's 845p 930pm dinner is at our table which thankfully was really good. While the atmosphere was neat I would of liked a little more privacy tables very close together so close I could here the other table going on about video games to an older gentlemen for the entire duration of our stay. Meanwhile while we waited for our dinner our server did check us on. The misses wanted to get some wine they have no reisiling. The waiter found a white Moscato that was sweet and gave a free glass since the old fashioned was too strong. Anyway 3 glasses of wine 1 beer two cocktails and dinner. $188.16 Not to terrible but not that great either maybe some people like the place for what it is. But we did not care for it although the food was good great portion.

Visiting Saturday was the first time I had ever heard of Trotta's Steak & Seafood. I was invited by my cousin for a 50th celebration for the both of us, born just hours apart! Let me just say Trotta's was excellent in all areas! We had our temperatures checked at the door to make sure everyone was safe, the atmosphere, service, and food were absolutely amazing! I am extraordinarily grateful that Mr. Carman, the owner's 94 year old father helped us celebrate, both playing Happy Birthday on his violin, and later singing as well! Definitely the highlight of our evening! Chef James also greeted us to make sure the food met or exceeded our expectations. Without a doubt, exceeded completely! For any special occasion, I would highly recommend a visit! This is truly one of Northern Kentucky's hidden gems, I cannot wait until the next visit! Thank you Trotta's for making the evening so special, and for memories I will carry with me forever!

My "half rack of ribs" was $23.00, ($27.60 with tip). It came with a piece of bread, a handful of fries and a salad made with 1/10 a head of iceberg lettuce, a couple of pieces of tomato, about 3 croitons, and a sliver of onion. For my main dish, I got 4 measly rib bones. Yeah, just 4! That's about $5/rib bone. I won't be back. I really feel like I've been robbed.

We were here Fathers day last week. Air conditioning was barley working and we were sweating once we started eating. Yesterday we went back and the Air Conditioning was not addressed manager says it's working fine while ever lady in the place was fanning their face with a menu because of how hot it was. This manager pays zero attention to the customers fanning their face with a menu. Won't be back until winter I guess. Manager is clueless, he brushed off the employees that mentioned how hot it was. Not sure if he has to pay out of pockets, likely dirty filters cheap fix if they do it before the roof top units overheat.

LongHorn Steakhouse is a casual steakhouse chain known for its grilled beef and other American dishes in a ranch-style space. The food was great, with Felicia the waitress being awesome attentive and very friendly. They also provided free ice cream with a candle and song on my birthday - something that the kids will love too!
I took my brother here for his birthday. He was in the mood for a steak and suggested it. It’s his birthday who am I to argue. It’s lighter on the wallet anyway. Of course he didn’t pay. I got the ribs and Parmesan chicken combo with pan seared honey drizzled Brussel sprouts and a loaded baked potato. The ribs could have been cooked better, they were dry. And for the love of everything TAKE OFF THE MEMBRANE! The Parmesan chicken was excellent tender and juicy. I would recommend this dish if you don’t want a steak.

I typically enjoy my visits at Longhorn. Not this time. Was not a good experience. The best part was spending time with my family. I’m giving an 3 because my daughter really enjoyed her ribs. Our server brought us bread and walked off. Came back about 8 mins later to ask for our drinks. My mom got her drink after we got our food. Server was nice however she did not know how to care for multiple tables. Food came out. My baked potato was gross. It had something black in it that looked like mold. The manager did not apologize…he pretty much said…they do not cut open all the potatoes to check. Where my baked potato was split to add on the toppings is where the black ‘mold’ was. The manager did not offer a discount or apologize. He was just like ‘oh it happens’. It shouldn’t…the cooks/chefs should know what they are serving their customers. That was a BS excuse. The server eventually suggested he provide a discount. Which he did. I am still not happy but I will get over it and not go there again. Thanks for treating your customers like they matter…NOT.

Ordered curbside and this is what I received. The only thing hot on the plate was the sweet potato. I bit the side of the steak to see if the burnt side was edible but it wasn’t. It tasted like burnt buildup from off the grill and dry. I spit it back into the plate. I changed my side from broccoli to brussel sprouts and still got broccoli. I also opted out of the bread and still got bread. Now I know not to order curbside again because I dont have this problem when I dine in. $50 wasted

Everything was delicious!!!! Great service. Our only thing was we wished we could have been placed at a better seat. The booth where we were seated was in an awkward area. Right by the Kitchen area. Other than that we had a great time.

Amazing food and people. The steakhouse mac&cheese is my favorite.
Paula F — Google review
The food was great, but for the price I feel that there are better steakhouse options. The restaurant is relatively clean but not to the standard I’d expect from a steakhouse chain that was to be portrayed as above-average. To top off my experience, our server seemed to forget about us. I was left waiting nearly 20 minutes (not exaggerating) just to get my credit card back. I don’t know if the issue was our server in particular, but possibly a lack of staff members on the evening that I was there. I hope this was a one-off thing, but it put a bad enough taste in my mouth to likely not return for a while.

I wish I would have got our waitress's name because she has so much personality that there is no way on a Sunday afternoon. You could come in there and have her give you service and you be in a bad mood.

Had dinner here with family our server was very attentive and courteous. We had a total of 3 people for dinner.

A Culinary Masterpiece in Cincinnati – An Unforgettable Steakhouse Experience From the moment you step through the doors, you know you’re in for something extraordinary. Greeted with a glass of chilled champagne, the experience at this high-end bespoke steakhouse is nothing short of indulgent. The ambiance is elegant yet inviting, setting the perfect stage for an unforgettable meal. The menu is a testament to seasonality and craftsmanship of their chef, with fresh, locally sourced ingredients curated into stunning dishes. Steak lovers will revel in the selection, but the Tomahawk Bone-In Steak is a true showstopper—expertly seared, perfectly marbled, and packed with rich, beefy flavor. Elevate the experience with their signature butter mixes—decadent, house-made infusions that take each bite to another level. And if you’re a fan of bold, unctuous flavors, the bone marrow is a must-try. Not in the mood for steak? No problem. The menu offers a refined selection of fresh seafood and elevated burgers, ensuring that every guest finds their perfect plate. I've been looking forward to eating here for more than a year. Upon entering, was greeted with a mid-century vibe and an offer of a complimentary glass of sparkling wine. Classy. We were well attended to by friendly wait staff in a small dining space that was intimate but noisy mostly due to the small bar. The Lavender Bees Knees was a delicious and refreshing drink off their creative cocktail menu. Ordered the oysters and bone marrow starters. Like another reviewer noted, the oysters had too much Panko. More notably, the bone marrow was a bit too gelatinous for my taste. For the main, the butcher's cut was ordered medium rare with an onion and mushroom side. While I understand the cut was marbled for flavor, it was simply too fatty to enjoy each bite. Sourced within 200 miles or not, for a restaurant that prides itself on steak, this was most unfortunate. While the side dish was tasty it could have done with a bit less oil. Dessert was creme brulee served with a latte-like coffee. Overall, this restaurant has a great location, ambiance, presentation, staff, and drinks menu. But, for the price ($250 for two) at least on this night, the food itself didn't live up to the reputation Lonely Pine is known for.

I went here for a birthday dinner and was definitely expecting something amazing after hearing it was the best steak in Cincinnati. The ambiance is nice, dim lit but a very small dining space and you can see almost every table from where you are. The service is good but not too fancy if that makes sense. The smoky jalapeño dip was incredible. Do not waist $20 on the butter board though. The steak was good but not the best I’ve had. Just okay in all. There is almost no other protein than steak on the menu (no chicken) and they do have fish but there is very wacky additions to it that don’t fit their vibe for sure

Food - they're tasty, but pricey. I had better steak with cheaper price. But overall was good. Service - it was very good. Our server was very helpful and knowledgeable. Atmosphere-it had good music, not too loud so we could talk without yelling

Exceptional service and incredibly high-quality food for very fair prices. I had a wonderful dinner here and especially enjoyed the bone marrow, cowboy ribeye, and crème brûlée. The service was personable, prompt, and overall enjoyable.

This place is amazing. The food is fantastic we went here for our anniversary and had a great time. It was my first time trying bone marrow and it was really yummy. We ordered the cowboy ribeye as the main course to split and it was cooked to perfection. The fingerling potatoes were also excellent, and the smoked Gouda Mac was a little bit strong for me personally but also very good. My favorite thing had to be the smore dessert which is made to look like a little campfire. I would literally go back just for that. They also offered mocktails for those who don't drink which is awesome. Definitely check out their lavender lemonade. This atmosphere is cozy and very welcoming and all the staff were super pleasant and knowledgeable. We will definitely be returning. Excellent experience.

I’ll start with the pros and end with the cons. Pros: We arrived a few minutes early for our reservation and while we waited were offered complimentary sparkling wine which was a great touch/first impression. We split the cowboy ribeye for 2, and it was one of the best steaks I have had. The side of fingerling potatoes were also very good. There are several other things we would’ve liked to try that sounded good but it was just my wife and I eating here so we didn’t want to get too much food. Our waitress was kind and attentive. The overall decor inside was pretty nice. Cons: The Caesar salad we had was a little disappointing and s’mores dessert was average but not amazing. The biggest problem we had was the overall smell. We could not figure out if it was the specific chemical cleaner they used or a certain food item or maybe a combination of the 2? I would recommend caution coming here if you are sensitive to smells. Overall, I’m glad we tried the place. The service was good and the steak was great! But due to the smell, we will probably not return.

I had the most amazing experience at this restaurant. 10 out of 10 will definitely do again. The staff was perfect! The night I went they were short staffed, and everything still flowed well. My waitress was Emma, she was perfect and did a great job explaining everything to me and making recommendations. When Emma wasn't around other waiter/waitresses came to check on me, best team work I've ever seen! The meat was succulent, and everything was flavored perfectly. I eat like a baby bird so, I had quite a bit of left overs. Chef Maddie I still dream about everything I ate that night. Thank you everyone for such and amazing experience.
