Steak house
Folk's Folly Prime Steak House is a Memphis original, offering a refined dining experience with personalized service and top-quality food. Since 1977, this steakhouse has been known for its prime steaks and seafood specialties served in an elegant white-linen setting. The restaurant prides itself on providing prompt, efficient, and friendly service to enhance every guest's evening.
My husband surprised me with a private dining experience at Folk’s Folly for my birthday and I loved it. Our waitress Corinne was excellent, the atmosphere was excellent, and the food was amazing. The ONLY thing I can say is that the mashed potatoes were a bit dry and bland, but aside from that my calamari, steak, lobster tail, green beans, and literally everything else was 10/10. Also, my husband said that private dining isn’t at any additional cost, you just have to call to reserve.
Jerra L — Google review
I recently took my husband to this restaurant for his birthday, and unfortunately, it was a bit of a letdown. His mac and cheese arrived cold, and despite informing the staff that it was a special occasion, we didn't receive any form of acknowledgment, such as a complimentary dessert or even a simple birthday greeting. This was surprising since I've never been to a restaurant that didn't recognize a birthday in some way. On a positive note, my steak was outstanding. I ordered the 'petite' steak, which turned out to be satisfyingly thick and perfectly cooked. The grits were equally enjoyable. However, the king crab croquettes fell short in flavor; while the texture was spot on, they desperately needed more seasoning. The catfish appetizer was decent, but not memorable, and could have benefited from a more seasoned batter. Overall, while certain dishes didn't quite live up to our expectations, the steak was exceptional and would definitely be a reason for us to return. However, given our experience, this wouldn't be our choice for celebrating a special occasion.

From the moment we walked in we were greeted with friendly faces. The room attendant, Dillon, and our server, Shannon, were so attentive. Our food was SPECTACULAR! We ordered the fried pickles, a wedge salad, a filet, ribeye, asparagus, spinach and mushrooms. Our steaks were cooked to perfection. The vegetables were so flavorful!! We had the best night and I recommend FF to anyone!!

We went there to celebrate my daughter's birthday. The esthetics of this place is both beautiful and delightful. We ordered the NY strips steak mine was medium well and her's was well done they were both seasoned to perfection no steak sauce needed. We had the jalapeno Mac n cheese, green beans, twice baked potato, and broccoli ,also the jumbo fried shrimp. Everything was perfect this was my 1st time there but it definitely want be my last. I would rate this 100 out of a 100 if I could but since I can't I'll settle for 10 out of 10.

I recently dined at Folks & Folly, and it was, unfortunately, one of the most disappointing fine dining experiences I’ve had in Memphis. From the moment we walked in, there was a strong, unpleasant odor something between a dirty fish tank and a bathroom smell that lingered the entire time. It immediately ruined what was supposed to be an elevated dining atmosphere. The interior looked neglected. The small fish tanks near the bar were cloudy and unkept, and when I glanced upward, I noticed vents that appeared to have mildew or buildup. The artwork on the walls didn’t help either one of the pictures of a tree looked disturbingly like a lynching tree, which was not only inappropriate but unsettling. We were seated in a cramped corner against the curtains, with barely any space to move. The service was careless our waitress repeatedly reached over our food to pour wine instead of walking around or asking permission. It felt rushed and inconsiderate, not the attentive service you expect at a restaurant advertising itself as “fine dining.” Then came the food. We started with Folly’s Tidbits, an appetizer that looked more like something from a fair food stand than an upscale kitchen. The presentation was sloppy, the batter was gummy and undercooked, and the steak filling was bland and rubbery. We sent it back immediately. For entrées, we ordered the rosemary lamb chops and the sea bass. The lamb arrived on a tiny plate with no garnish, no color, just four small chops and a strange metal cup filled with something green and gelatinous. The meat was undercooked, chewy, and tasted only of salt no trace of rosemary or balance of flavor. The sides were equally disappointing: oily spinach and mushrooms with no seasoning, and overly sweet mashed potatoes that tasted like someone’s failed attempt at candied yams. The sea bass was the only dish that was even remotely edible after we requested additional garlic butter. Otherwise, it was dry and lacked any real seasoning. We sent most of the food back, paid for the wine and the sea bass, and left hungry. The only thing worth mentioning positively was the bread and butter and honestly, that says it all. For a restaurant that markets itself as “refined” and “modern Southern,” Folks & Folly completely missed the mark. Between the smell, the decor, the service, and the food, the entire experience felt careless and overpriced. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for an actual fine dining experience in Memphis. Rating: ⭐ 1 out of 5 If you’re looking for quality food and service, I’d suggest going elsewhere.

We arrived early for our reservation. So, we opted to enjoy a drink in their Cellar Piano Bar until seating was available. The bar staff was friendly, professional, and they worked as a TEAM! Plus, the Wine List had Saldo Zinfandel, a wine we discovered at the Hamilton Hotel in Alpharetta, GA. Every aspect of our Folks Folly dining experience was exceptional! The food (Calamari, Caesar Salad, Medallion Sampler, Desert) were a treat for the eyes (presentation) and palate (flavor profile). That Medallion Sampler is a trio of four ounce tenderloin medallions grilled to order and individually crowned with rich béarnaise, Maker's Mark peppercorn sauce, and bleu cheese crumbles. They were all delicious, but that Maker's Mark peppercorn sauce was AWESOME!!!!!! Greg (our Server) was outstanding! He was personally/professionally engaging and his light-hearted humor definitely enhanced our dining experience!!! My wife is an exceptional cook. So, it takes a lot for a restaurant to impress her. So, I was shocked when she said she wanted to return next week to sample their burgers in the Cellar Piano Bar.

This occasion was for someone private birthday dinner. Shawana was our waitress. She was phenomenal. She is very knowledgeable of the menu. Great atmosphere. The restrooms were clean. The service was top notch.
Zuri J — Google review
The service was good, the food was good but pretty pricey. We went for a birthday and they out the balloons on a chair that was in front of the exit door. So didn’t make for good pictures

Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar is a premier dining destination that offers an exquisite experience for steak lovers and wine enthusiasts alike. Known for its aged prime beef, including hand-selected Angus and Wagyu cuts, this upscale chain provides a delightful menu featuring classic dishes like succulent lobster tails. With one of the largest selections of wines by the glass in Memphis—boasting around 100 options—guests can indulge in high-quality pairings without the commitment of a full bottle.
Wonderful experience. Excellent food, service and atmosphere! The filet mignon with the lobster tail was spectacular. Carrot Cake (not pictured) for dessert is a must.

Unfortunately, this was a miss for us. Some of it was very good, but a lot of it was not, and when you're paying that much money, it should all be excellent. For the most part, the service was good. The hostess was friendly and seated is right on time for our reservation. Our server was good at first. He was attentive for the most part until the end when he disappeared for a long while. The room is very dark, which makes for a nice ambiance, but it is very hard to read the menus. This is the 2nd high-end restaurant that did that. It must be a thing. When you have multitudes of people using the flashlight from their phones to read a menu, you may want to rethink the lighting situation. The music they pump in was unexpectedly loud. I'm not used to that in a nicer restaurant. My food was great. The pumpkin butter and champagne infused butter with the bread were delicious. I started with the pork belly, and it was amazing. I really enjoyed it. BF's wedge salad was beautifully presented, and it had generous amounts of toppings without being sloppy. It was the ideal starter. For my main, I had the Chilean Sea Bass. It was perfectly cooked, and the miso sauce was delicious, but there was too much of it. It drowned the fish. I would have preferred 1/2 the amount. The creamed spinach would have been good, but it was way under seasoned. Unfortunately, BF's aged ribeye steak was a big mistake. He asked for medium rare, and it came out rare, and it was not very good. Very tough and not seasoned well. By this time our waiter was not very attentive so we couldn't really remedy the issue, but again, with the reputation and price you pay, there shouldn't be such inexcusable mistakes as not cooking and seasoning the steak properly. This was a huge letdown. To top it off, we ended the evening with two small flies hovering over our table, which was annoying. So, what started as a fairly good evening turned out to be a disappointment. Besides our waiter, the rest of the wait staff was great. Very attententive and friendly. This should have been a better experience, but it wasn't. For the price we paid, we will probably not come back here.

My experience at Fleming's was ok. It was the worst experience I've had at a restaurant but it wasn't the best experience either. It was great because of the company I was with. The valet was my favorite of the night here. They were swift and very polite. Hostesses were also super friendly. Waitress was good. I think that the food was OK because there was a crowd and they were rushing to get the food out that they kept over cooking people's food. My salmon was overcooked, and the sides weren't hot although the plates underneath were. I would prefer waiting 30 minutes for my food if it's going to be made properly. $50 bucks for a piece of overcooked salmon is ridiculous when it's not prepared properly. I also have a food allergy to mushrooms, and they made the food over for me to carry home, but they made the food with mushrooms, so I wasn't able to eat it as well. I would most likely try them out again, but it would be a day that's not close to a holiday.
Sonjia J — Google review
We went for my Sons 21st birthday. It was amazing, the ambiance was perfect. Customer service was great. I had filet mignon with diablo shrimp and lobster busque. That was the best lobster bisque Ive had! The filet melted in my mouth, shrimp cooked perfectly! I also had 2 blueberry lemon drops!

Can't believe we waited this long to go to Flemings. It was fantastic! We chose a dinner for two special and everything was delicious. It was for our 25th anniversary and they made sure we were treated right. Even got a photo. The only disappointing thing was being too full to try more deserts because the ones we got were amazing. Will have to go back and try the key lime pie if it stacks against what we just experienced. Noah was a great server too!
Tracy M — Google review
Excellent service and cozy atmosphere. Decent bourbon selection and some specialty drinks to fit most palates. Our tomahawk steak was cooked perfectly and the sautéed mushrooms were a delicious addition. Get the Flaming potatoes! They are thin layers of decadence. My only complaint was the crème brûlée was a little loose but still tasted good enough to want to lick the dish.
Ed B — Google review
We visited Fleming’s for our 5th anniversary dinner. Our server, Cornelius, was excellent. The seared pork belly appetizer was to die for. Our steaks were nothing short of perfect. We cannot wait to go back!
Mary M — Google review
Overall, Fleming's Steakhouse is a wonderful restaurant that offers high-quality food and excellent service in an upscale atmosphere. The steak was perfectly cooked, juicy, and full of flavor. Although the tomahawk steak is 35 ounces, the bone accounts for about half of the weight, so it's manageable to eat on your own without worry.

Char Restaurant is a sophisticated and elegant outpost located in the Memphis East Buntyn neighborhood, just two blocks away from the University of Memphis. It's part of the recent Highland Row revitalization and offers a local take on the traditional steakhouse experience. The restaurant features prime filets, chops, seafood, and pasta in an upscale atmosphere with white tablecloths and tailored waitstaff.

Love the laidback atmosphere and service of the bar area, which is open seating at bar and high top tables. Live piano most nights. My go-to is the scallops and fried oysters. Great happy hour food menu.
Eric P — Google review
My favorite appetizer is the butter tasting. I'm a big bread and butter girl, and they change the butter occasionally. I tried the blueberry lemons drop that all the other reviews are talking about and it was pleasant, more on the tart/sour side but a tasty drink. This time I got the shrimp and grits. The dish was delicious. I felt the portion size for this dish was small, but then I quickly realized it was reflected in the price. I would love an option with more, and I don't mind if it affects the cost; the dish was SO GOOD. I was hungry again a couple of hours after dinner. Our server was very friendly and knowledgable about the menu. This restaurant has a low-light and intimate seating vibe. It's perfect for a date night or a dinner to catch up with friends. Next time I'm trying the ribeye!

Went on my mom's birthday. We were accommodated, due to last minute guests. It took a while to order... Although some staff appeared a little in distress, everyone was satisfied at the end.

Okay, this is going to be a long one. Stay with me for a moment. This place is the pinnacle of affordable steak houses. I ordered the char filet and if you are like me and have heard the expression a steak that melts in your mouth. This is the place. It was butter steak heaven goodness. This is the steak I assume Jesus will serve in heaven it was so magnificent. The flavor and char on the steak was so supreme. I will eat here again and I will bask in these flavors again. If you want a steak to blow your mind this is the one.

I enjoyed brunch! The service and atmosphere was nice. The food was fresh and very flavorful! I highly reccomend the southern or steak eggs benedict!!! The mimosas were strong haha
Frances G — Google review
Char hits a lot of high points for a fine dining restaurant. There is ample parking in the nearby area. The atmosphere is dim and cozy with considerate and friendly staff who never let your drink reach empty. There's a nicely sized drink menu and cocktails with plenty of meal pairing options. The food is really good, nothing super unique or "magical" as fine dining goes, but fresh and flavorful. Overall, I highly recommend checking them out for a nice night out/date night. A+

We were there for my friend’s birthday dinner and it was an amazing experience! Our waitress Makayla was EVERYTHING! She was super sweet, very attentive, very informed as well. She made great recommendations and made sure we had everything we needed. I had the lamb which was cooked and seasoned perfectly! The only thing is I wish I could’ve ordered a side of grits but that’s really a minor thing. I 100% can’t wait to go back.

Flight Restaurant and Wine Bar in downtown Memphis offers a unique dining experience centered around the concept of flights - small portions of dishes and wines. The upscale American cuisine features seasonal ingredients and an impressive wine list. Guests can enjoy taster-size pours of wine with small plates of soups, salads, and entrees. The menu includes options like champagne flights, salad flights, beef or seafood flights, cabernets or chardonnays.
Great fun experience and surprisingly affordable fine concept dining. The wine selection was a bit limited but there were some pleasant surprises on a couple of the flights (loved the tiny bubbles flight especially). All the meat we had was perfectly cooked. Some of the dishes were well crafted and balanced (duck with sweet potatoes and pecans, and the mashed potatoes with sour cream were elegantly flavored) and some less imaginative (albeit well made, I don't expect mac&cheese, steamed asparagus or plain veggies at this kind of establishment). Desserts were good. Portions - both main and dessert - were big. My husband barely managed to finish his main course (I did not stand a chance) and we sadly had to leave more than half of the dessert unfinished. There just was no more room. Service was efficient, atmosphere fun and elegant. Loved the white table cloths and silverware.
Jennifer F — Google review
This very well may be one of the best meals I have ever enjoyed. The service was top notch. The ambiance was perfect. A little dark, cozy, and comfortable. The flight options were perfection. Every dish that came out was cooked to perfection. The desserts were absolutely perfect. The cost is high, but the value is tremendous.
Nicholas N — Google review
We were seated immediately upon arrival at opening, 430. Nautica, our server, was absolutely brilliant in describing everything. This was a very special birthday treat! We tried the salad flights and I made my own entree flight with shrimp and grits, Seabass and lamb chop. We even tried the dessert flight! Next time I will get the Seabass on its own because that was my favorite! Highly recommend! Plus, it’s so cool to be in the Broadnax building with that beautiful chandelier!

This was an exciting experience with family. The staff was friendly and informative. The atmosphere was perfect. The food was so good you savored every bite. We did the flights for salad and entrée. And then there was dessert, yummy. This was an experience, on you took a moment and just enjoyed. If we are ever This way again, it will definitely be a must stop.

I had the pleasure to eat here with my coworkers and managers as a celebration from our hard work. We were greeted with a friendly host and staff and introduced to our server Alexis. The staff was patient with us being a big table with different personalities. We ordered several appetizers to start and the devil eggs with fried oysters and bacon jam was a favorite. The flight concept of small portion meals and beverages was great for mixing and matching several items on the menu. We got to taste a little of everything. The Louisiana red fish was my favorite dish along with the lobster ravioli. Everyone enjoyed their meal and had a great time! Thanks to the chef, managers and servers for taking care of us!
Jordon W — Google review
Fun and delicious restaurant! We'd never been before and really enjoyed trying the flights. We had the salad flight, the seafood flight, the a dessert flight and a wine flight. Everything was excellent including our servers. Would definitely go back if we are in Memphis again!

Chef Ed surpassed our expectations in making a gluten free Beef Wellington. After always being told other restaurants can’t make it GF, Chef Ed said I’ll do it!! Boy!! Did he ever!!! Wow!!! He made sure all my allergies were taken into account and he made sure everything was safe and delicious!! Thank you Chef!!

Texas de Brazil in Memphis is an upscale Brazilian steakhouse offering a unique dining experience. The restaurant features all-you-can-eat grilled meats carved tableside by gauchos, including beef, lamb, pork, chicken, and sausage. In addition to the meat selections, there is a gourmet salad area with over 50 items and a variety of decadent desserts. The elegant atmosphere at the historic Peabody Hotel adds to the upscale dining experience.
Everything was excellent. Two in our party were 40 minutes late and they held our table. The meats are abundant, you can choose how well you want it cooked, service was extraordinarily polite, happy to help, the salad bar had great food but who wants to fill up on potatoes au gratin when you can have carved pink leg of lamb? You can save 20% if you buy the gift cards at Costco.

Enjoyed my birthday dinner here recently, and we had a wonderful time. All the meats were delicious. Our server was great and kept the bananas coming. My fave item from the salad / sides bar was the pineapple carpaccio. The leg of lamb was especially delicious, seconded by the garlic sirloin bites. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience.
AvidreaderMusicLover — Google review
This Texas de Brazil location did not live up to locations in other cities I have been to in the past. First off there were servers standing around all telling us they will be right with us. There were clearly open seats they could have sat us at quickly without an issue since it is a buffet. However, they waited until the manager got my number into the computer system to assign a seat. Which would of been ok if it did not take them like 5-10 minutes of standing there with 5 servers standing around that could of attended to us instead of all separately informing us they will be right with us. I am gluten free and vegan, so I got the lunch salad bar only option. The salad was good with lots of vegetables. The signs could have told ingredients inside the dishes in the hot bar or allergy warnings at least. The hot items on the salad bar were ok, but could have been better. The rice was a bit crunchy and not in a good way. The beans could have been better, and I found out after I ate them that they were not gluten free or vegan. The beans are cooked with meat products/Worcester sauce that has anchovies in it. In addition, the sautéed mushrooms have milk & gluten which is ridiculous. There is no need for either of those things to be in sautéed mushrooms. I really should have looked more closely at the allergy menu before eating here. My stomach was off for almost a week after this meal, and now I know why. Overall the food had good flavor and the veggies were fresh on the salad bar. They missed the mark on not providing allergy warnings on the signs, crunchy rice, having milk/gluten in items that usually don’t, and unusual waiting to be seated when it’s a buffet. They also state on website to ask for pineapple dessert that’s roasted, but they claim no dessert is included in the buffet price. They also said the pineapple on the buffet was the roasted pineapple, but it did not seem roasted.

Food was good and the service was also exceptional. Everyone from the servers to the host and manager was super accommodating. If I had to ding anything it would be the weird bathroom lay out but it was clean so that would only be a minor grievance.

Kevin the manager was so nice and helpful. Can definitely tell he’s a big part of why its a great place to eat. The staff bringing the meat and servers were friendly as well! The food was INSANE. Everything so good, and actually seasoned and flavorful! Its expensive forsure but definitely will be back!

I spent over $40 on my meal from Texas de Brazil, and the quality was honestly unacceptable. I ordered the garlic picanha medium to medium-well, and what I received was completely burnt, dry, and tough — well beyond well done. There was no way anyone looked at that and thought it was okay to send out. I could barely bite into it. On top of that, my lobster bisque had an unbelievable amount of oil sitting on top — easily close to 50 ml. It was literally a layer of orange oil, and the soup tasted just as bad as it looked. I don’t understand how this was approved to go out to a customer. For the price, the quality should be much higher. This was a complete waste of money, and I’m honestly shocked this was delivered in this condition. Very disappointed. This was a delivery order so I cannot speak to the ambience or the service of the restaurant. But I can speak to the fact that someone boxed this up and sent this to a customer and that is completely unacceptable. Where’s management?

Great food is very delicious and could use some more food in the lobby. floors slippery i can slide everywhere but a safety hazard. Every second i finish my water, it just comes back. In conclusion, deffitly would come back and put a little bit expensive.

Texas de Brazil – Memphis absolutely delivered an outstanding dining experience! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, upscale, and inviting. The staff was incredibly attentive — our server made sure our drinks were never empty and explained the menu and pacing perfectly. The salad bar alone was impressive — fresh, beautifully presented, and full of options that could easily make a meal on their own. But the real star, of course, was the endless parade of perfectly cooked meats. Every cut was juicy, flavorful, and carved right at the table just the way we liked it. We also loved the cheesy mashed potatoes and sweet fried bananas that came with the meal — a perfect complement to the rich, savory meats. The service, quality, and overall experience made it well worth the price. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or just want an unforgettable dinner, Texas de Brazil in Memphis is the place to go. We’ll definitely be back!

At Ruth's Chris Steak House, you can enjoy some of the best steaks in town, alongside award-winning wines. The Memphis location pays tribute to Memphis music culture by featuring memorabilia from some of the city's most influential musicians.
The experience Ruth Chris gave me made my birthday extremely worth being alive. The calamari was a great way to start off the meal. For the entree, I had the salmon and shrimp and my date had steak (well done) with shrimp. Our Server Drew was kind and gave top tier service even showed us where the restroom was lol. Definitely coming back.
Teanna G — Google review
My husband and I are big fans of Ruth's Chris and were excited to try the Memphis spot for the first time. We jumped on their fantastic 3-course meal deal for $55 per person! I ordered the steak medium-well, and it was hands-down the best I've ever had: perfectly cooked, juicy, and full of flavor. Unfortunately, my husband's steak (also ordered medium-well) arrived closer to rare, which was a letdown. The staff kindly offered to remake it, but we were short on time and had to pass. On the sides, the sweet potato casserole was absolutely delicious – sweet, creamy, and a highlight of the meal. However, the lobster mac and cheese came out almost cold and wasn't warmed properly, which took away from the experience. I also had the worst French onion soup here. 😔 This was our first hiccup with Ruth's Chris after many great visits elsewhere, and it left us wishing for a smoother evening. 😔

Arrive for dinner with about half hour left for cocktail hour so that was a plus. The Pomegrante Martini was on point. However, I was diisappointed with the food. For the prices RC charge I would expect deliciousness. I order the Ribeye with the au gratin potatoes which was just okay. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t delicious either—smh. And, they didn’t even try to make it look delicious—-no garnish, no presentation….just a steak on a plate—-smh. I was underwhelmed with my overall experience. In the future, I’ll pass on this as steakhouse.

Food and service was great. Our server Terrance was outstanding and funny. I started off with house salad, the ranch dressing was a tad bit salty but with the extra tomatoes it was soo good. Cream of spinach was good. I ordered a medium well Ribeye but it was cooked well. I decided to not send it back because it still good. When the manager begin doing rounds and asked out table how we were doing. I let him know about my steak but I was going to keep it., he refused and made my whole plate how I ordered it, and it was absolutely great 💯

I'm a steak lover, I've been looking for a good place to get a tasty one. I've tried a few around the area and haven't been too impressed. Our visit to Ruth's Chris pleased me. The steak was cooked to the perfect temperature as requested, tasted great and was very filling. We celebrated a birthday there with friends and family, the service was exceptional. They paid special attention to the guest of honor, it felt nice to see her happy on her special day. The pricing is fair for what you get there as well. I recommend a visit if you're in need of a good protein and atmosphere.

Nghi gave the best customer service! It was my birthday, and my son and I dropped in to celebrate with a birthday dinner. She was prompt, attentive, asked all the right questions, and checked on us regularly. Her hospitality was truly top-notch. The food overall was good although the asparagus could’ve gone back, Nghi’s customer service was so amazing, I didn’t even want to make her do extra work. Everything was overall nice, and we will definitely be back!

First visit and can’t wait to return. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Our server, Josh, was spot on with his recommendations and service. The chef prepared my wife an off menu vegetarian entree which she loved. The ala cart sides were very delicious, well proportioned and many vegetarian options. Great spot to celebrate many occasions, business meal or just a casual meal Very nice selection of wine and champagne.

We recently held a rehearsal dinner event at Acre - 50 for dinner then 120 for dessert and drinks. The entire event was literally perfect. The seating for dinner was in two rooms, nicely laid out; later, we used the bar and the entire patio for guests. The patio was particularly nice with votive candles in between stones in the patio wall. The food was amazing - so hard for 50 - but all three entrees were beautifully prepared, hot, and served with delicious side orders. The salad and dessert was very good as well. The bar was well organized and kept up with the guests as they arrived. The event planning was detailed, and the service was extremely good, this was a well executed plan. I would not hesitate to have Acre plan your event or just your dinner!

Very warm welcome. Yellow door is a nice touch. Interior was snug but not overwhelming. Service was accurate and friendly. Brought my mother and grandmother. I ordered the New York mid rare. Perfect cook and nice black peppercorn demi. Mother ordered chicken breast. Extremely well made. Nice and tender and even when coming down in temperature, it kept its tenderness. Very impressed. Grandmother ordered the branzino. Nice and light fry but very crispy. Kept good moisture throughout. Carrots and Duck rice to share. Both where great. I knew the rice would be on the salty side so I got the carrots to balance. My panna cotta was interesting. I prefer the traditional pudding/silk like texture. The rough diced pears was a interesting choice. I expected something more refined but im sure the chef was thinking of accessibility to the bite. Still good but could be better. Overall excellent experience and I recommend. We'll done.

What a wonderful dinner! Morgan at the bar mixed excellent cocktails. Everything I had was so delicious! Gnocchi, tuna, octopus, gnudi, quail, carrots. All SO good. I recommend going with a group of 3-4 people so that you can get a few bites of lots of different things.

Only had to go once for it to become my new favorite! I’ve sat at the bar and in the dining room and the experience is always amazing. Their drinks are so inventive and delicious and the food is consistently amazing. I always get the carrots, sourdough, hamachi crudo, cauliflower, and the crème brûlée to finish!

It was a lovely anniversary dinner. Bartender makes an excellent dirty martini but I would love to see a nicer/fresher olive or option of blue cheese stuffed. Our favorite food items were the carrots for the table and the sea bass. Everything was delish in a beautiful, romantic setting.

Morgan was an absolute pleasure. She had amazing recommendations and drink suggestions. I had the ribeye and you better be hungry as it's huge. Correctly cooked and very tender. The duck confit casserole was amazing. Parking is in the back and if you show up when they open, you probably won't need a reservation. Sit at the bar and Morgan will entertain you. I will come here again.

117 Prime is a sophisticated steakhouse located on Union Avenue in Memphis. The restaurant offers expertly-cooked Prime steaks served a la carte with shareable sides and sauces, creating an elevated dining experience. The classy modern atmosphere makes it perfect for special occasions, and the impeccable service adds to the overall experience. Guests can also enjoy a stylish bar offering a selection of wine and cocktails.
A very nice and elegant place to go to. The service is very good and friendly. The food I had was very good but did not include any main entrees. The atmosphere is very nice with a long bar on the left side and tables on the right when you enter. Being casual is not a problem but your wallet will not be casual either. However, it does not necessarily mean that you will have to dole out buckets of cash. They do have a "Prime Time" happy hour from 4-6 daily with $1.50 Gulf oysters and several other food choices as well as house wines, beers and select cocktails. I had "She-crab soup" from the main menu and "Korean duck wings" from the Prime Time menu. For dessert I had the carrot cake which was delicious and very southern. They have their own pastry chef who makes all of their desserts in house from scratch. I was not disappointed and surely recommend 117 Prime for a nice time out and for a romantic dinner date.

The Worst steak house I have ever been! Our steak was so burnt outside but so raw and even the appetizers, the soup was too watery like it was reheated. the side dish was hot on the top but cold in the middle, like they microwave food and all I can tasted was salt (my husband loves salt but even he couldn’t eat it). $500 dinner for two isn’t worth spending at this restaurant. 🤢
Dokyung L — Google review
An absolutely phenomenal dining experience! The service was impeccable and the food was divine! The steak was perfectly charred on the outside and a warm pink on the inside just as it was ordered...and the truffle butter...😍!!!! The crab stuffed flounder was light and flaky and seasoned to perfection. The oysters weren't the "chargrilled" we were expecting, but they were extremely fresh and plump! I highly recommend visiting soon if you haven't already!

We had a fantastic lunch here at their soft opening. The French onion soup was divine as a starter and salads were great too. For mains our table of three had the salmon (cooked perfectly), the crab cakes and the burger which were both excellent. What stood out for us was the service, the staff went above and beyond to make it a pleasurable meal for us. Highly recommend this place, perfect for a lunch date, a business lunch or a reasonably priced salad and lunch deal.

I was focused on taking my time and enjoying every bite and this was the best place for that. My waiter was courious, helpful, and fun. They have the best happy hour in town! Menu is solid with fair prices. I had the filet which was delightful. The Brussels sprouts were amazing and the loaded baked potato is the size of a Volkswagen. The fresh chives really set it off. Alexa visited the table to make sure everything was good. I appreciated that. I had a great experience!

Excellent, excellent, excellent. I’m going to be transparent and mention that our initial plans were at a restaurant nearby, but we left after feeling like we were ignored by the staff. I AM SO HAPPY WE ENDED UP HERE! As soon as we walked in we were greeted and escorted to a table. The ambiance is very nice, the lights are dim and the bar area looked spacious. My wife and I have been searching for good raw oysters in Memphis and we finally found them. The east coast oysters were so fresh and light, we’ll absolutely be back. Normally I prefer red mussels over white, but these were DELICIOUS. I ate both slices of bread because I couldn’t stop dipping it in the wine butter sauce. So good. The Kung pao Brussels were also delicious (shareable portion), but not as spicy as I expected. Overall, very nice dining experience and the food was great.

What an amazing time. Came through on a road trip and decided to have a nice dinner with my spouse not being a Dan of big steak houses like Ruth's Chris, etc. Man what a great ambiance and environment. Make sure to ask for the daily special. We were served this amazing tomahawk to share with all the fixings we wanted. Last but not least the price was crazy. Would come back again if ever through Memphis again.

Really delicious steaks and a great atmosphere in Memphis. Typical steakhouse prices where everything was ala carte. Best value on the menu is the Wagyu coulotte, 8 ounces on the menu for $34. My husband ate 2 for his meal and it was cheaper than the 16 ounce ribeye. It's a very tender cut with great marbling. I had the filet and added some shrimp. We also ordered the garlic butter, regular butter, and some flakey salt which were all perfect toppers to the perfectly cooked steaks. Great options for a nice night out for keto/carnivore/low carb.

B.B. King's Blues Club, located at the top of Beale Street in Memphis, Tennessee, is a vibrant spot where blues enthusiasts can savor live music and indulge in Southern culinary classics. The venue offers a mix of soulful blues, rock and roll, and classic soul for an unforgettable night out. Guests can relish delicious BBQ meals while grooving to the lively blues band or hit the dance floor to mingle with locals.
We had such a memorable evening at B.B. King's Blues Club in Memphis! I’ve always wanted to check out this legendary club and was excited to finally have a chance to go! It felt like an especially perfect time to be there since it was a celebration of 100 years for B.B. King! The vibe is electric, you can feel the energy in the place radiating! We showed up on a busy Friday night without reservations, and they managed to get us a table, which was a nice surprise. The music was phenomenal. Several musicians came on and played everything from blues to soulful jazz and even a bit of rock mixed in. The $10 cover was a great bargain for the quality of the performances. As for the southern food, it was a little too fried for me but the group I was with really enjoyed it. The fried okra was a good addition on the menu. The cocktails were creative and fun as well adding to the whole experience. Overall, this place is a must-visit for anyone who loves live music, comfort food, and a little bit of living history!

Blues, Ribs and More !!! I had an amazing night at BB King's Blues Club in Memphis. The place was really rocking that night !! After wandering around Beale Street and stopping in quite a few places to listen to music and have a drink or two, I finally made it to my destination. The hostess, once I paid my cover charge, brought me right to the front of the stage, where I sat, met a few people, had a few more drinks and dinner. I started with a cup of succulent gumbo, and even though it was just a cup, it certainly hit the spot. For my main course, as you can imagine, I ordered a half-rack of delicious ribs. The ribs were fantastic, and the vibe and the music and all the people I met just added to the experience. There are quite a few great Blues venues on Beale Street, but BB King's is an iconic spot for food and music.

We tried 3 different ribs places and this was definitely the best place! The ribs were fall off the bone and had great flavor. The sides were good as well but nothing amazing our favorite. The vibes were great since there was a live band. The service was very nice and attentive.

The cover at the door when you’re planing on having dinner is a bit much - tip: argue about it and they’ll let you in or maybe it was the 2 four tops that walked out instead of paying the cover that helped; that seemed help the hostess changed her mind. Had the rib and they didn’t disappoint! They really were fall off the bone. Great meat taste and very good BBQ sauce. The beans with huge pieces of bacon and slaw were spot on! Really was the best BBQ I had and I tried 4 different locations around town - not just on Beal. Only negative was what’s with the bread roll - make fresh baked or skip it. Our server Randy had great hustle. Live music was great too.

This place was in one word, alive! Great music, good food and ambience. To start, the singers were fantastic! We ordered a few things to try. The chicken and waffles were yummy. There were two kinds of wings, dry rub and sauces. Both were good, but personally I preferred the dry rub. We also got the catfish and shrimp platter. Sadly, that was not nice as the fish smelled too fishy(which it shouldn’t), and the shrimp were soggy. The chicken sandwich was also delicious. We will definitely be going back
Zoya K — Google review
First time visiting Memphis and I wanted to check out BB Kings based on their reviews. I ordered fried okra, side of Mac n cheese, and a combined shrimp and catfish platter. Pros: the portions are a decent size, so I was able to order one platter and share with my 12 years old. The platter only came with one piece of fish but since we had the okra as a starter and Mac n cheese as a side (upcharge) it was more than enough. The Mac n cheese was good, very creamy and flavorful. The food was also hot and the service was great. The okra was very good as well, mostly because the sauce really kicks it up a notch. I also really enjoyed the hush puppies that came with the platter. Cons: in terms of the flavor of the fish and shrimp, it was okay but not great. For me, it wasn’t stand out or unique in any type of way. Would I recommend. Yes. The restaurant does play music so it can get kind of noisy and it was kid friendly (We went earlier in the evening).

Barbecue restaurant
Central BBQ - Downtown is a popular eatery in Memphis, known for its inventive meat dishes such as BBQ nachos, pork sandwiches, and brisket platters. Located across the road from the National Civil Rights Museum, this location is just one of five across the city. The restaurant opens from 11am-9pm seven days a week and tends to get busy during lunchtime with queues out the door.
Central BBQ is the definition of a classic barbecue spot! From the moment you walk in, you can tell they’ve got the whole down-to-earth, authentic vibe down pat. One of the highlights for me was definitely the banana pudding — it’s to die for! So rich and creamy, I couldn’t finish it all in one sitting, so I had to take some home to enjoy later, which honestly isn’t like me, but it was THAT good. The ribs were also fantastic — flavorful, tender, and cooked just right. The sauces were delectable, with just the right amount of smoky sweetness to complement the meat perfectly. One thing I loved was being able to bring our dog along — we sat out on the patio overlooking the Civil Rights Museum, which made the whole experience even better. It’s a great place to relax, enjoy good food, and have a nice view while hanging out with your furry friend. They’re also super accommodating for large parties, making it a great spot for family gatherings or celebrations. The friendly staff, the laid-back atmosphere, and the delicious food combine to make it a must-visit. If you’re craving authentic barbecue with a welcoming vibe, Central BBQ will not disappoint. I’ll definitely be coming back soon!

First, for reference. I travel for a living and eat wings 3 to 4 times a week alll over America. Wings - TREMENDOUSLY GOOD. Seriously, these are some of the best smoked wings I've ever had. I just got them dry rubbed with Jamaican jerk. Ribs- Excellent, inside was very moist. The outside was a little overdone for my taste though. Brisket - OK.. it lacked the smoke flavor it should have had. Onion rings - They dont make these in house, they were average. Both sauces were very good. When I come back I will probably just get wings...but I may try the pork or chicken.
Carl W — Google review
Very conveniently located adjacent to the Civil Rights Museum. I had high hopes, but unfortunately, the food let me down. I’ve ate 4-5 other barbecue places while in Memphis, and this is by far my least favorite. I only ate half my pork, and that’s usually my favorite part. The service seemed fine. The atmosphere was good. I would not return here
Dixon — Google review
Skip this one. The greens were great & the meat was smoked well. Everything else sucked horribly. Very plain sandwiches. No sauce, no slaw... but asked for slaw, paid for slaw. Flies, gnats, bad service. Was told to stand here, not there, no here, not there, go here, sit there.. and it was hot. They don't believe in AC or pest control. Sauces were boring & no better than mcdonalds. They literally put all the sauce around the outside to make it look like they gave a damn. It was all over the paper they put your food on. Bun was dry. They wanted a tip but never came to see how we were doing, that we got what we paid for, or cqre how bad we were all sweating. The sides SUCKED (aside from greens). Potato salad was very vinegar forward and not good at all.
Jaclyn H — Google review
If you’re in Memphis, Central BBQ Downtown is a must-visit! The ribs are smoky, tender, and full of flavor — easily some of the best in town. The pulled pork sandwich was juicy and perfectly seasoned, and the sides (especially the mac & cheese and baked beans) were delicious. The service was quick and friendly, and the atmosphere has that authentic Memphis BBQ vibe — casual, lively, and full of the smell of great barbecue. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a true taste of Memphis BBQ!
Martha H — Google review
Coming from a Texan it ain't bad. Portion sizes were large. Meats -Ribs were the best. Normally not a rib guy but credit where it's due. It was good! -Pulled pork was tender and well shredded. Could've used a tad bit more seasoning -Brisket. Mine was dry. Not pleasant. Sides -Mac N cheese was solid. -BBQ Baked Beans were average but good Next time I'd try other meats and stay away from the brisket.
Steven C — Google review
The ribs are extremely tender, served with a distinct smoky sauce. The prices are relatively quite high, but make no mistake these ribs are a definite standout comparable to the best joints in Kansas City or Houston
Humzah J — Google review
Central BBQ is a busy, buzzing spot — thanks in part to its prime location near the Civil Rights Museum. Expect a bit of a wait to order in, but honestly, you’ll need that time to scout out a table, grab a drink, and settle in. I went with the starter sampler and wow — this tray was loaded. If I had to rank the hits: 1. Pulled pork sandwich 2. BBQ Nachos 3. Smoked wings 4. Sausage Massive portions across the board, and the sandwich sizes looked just right for most appetites. The venue itself is big — lots of space and seating — and the vibe feels more like a Texas BBQ joint than some of the other Memphis spots I’ve visited, which gives it a broad, approachable feel. Delicious food, unbeatable location, great service, and fair prices. Definitely worth the stop — especially if you’re coming from or heading to the museum next door.

Nestled above the bustling B.B. Kings Blues Club in Memphis, Tennessee, Itta Bena is a hidden gem offering an intimate and upscale dining experience. Accessible through a nondescript staircase at the back of the club, this posh eatery boasts a charming atmosphere with subdued lighting and blue-tinted windows. The menu features upscale twists on Southern classics, such as shrimp and locally milled grits spiked with white wine, alongside libations like the Blues Berry martini.
I’ve been on a little Memphis fancy restaurant tour lately looking to be blown away, but it hasn’t happened and I was getting a little sad. Until I went to Itta Bena!! I can’t brag on them enough and I will certainly be back. Service and atmosphere is important, but kinda simple to achieve. Itta Bena definitely delivers that. Food, though, can be hard, and these people know what they are doing! Thank you for a wonderful time!

The perfect word to describe Itta Bena is PHENOMENAL. From the service, to the live music, and delicious food. Everything was spectacular! My husband and I ordered the shrimp and boneless ribs. The food was perfectly seasoned, bursting with flavour with every bite. Our server, John was absolutely fantastic. He was friendly, funny, and made our day special. We were celebrating my promotion and John was kind enough to recommend the lovely bread pudding. Wow! The perfect sweet treat to end a beautiful dinner. I am grateful we visited Itta Bena and we will certainly be back when we are in the Memphis area.

I never write reviews (and I wasn’t asked for one), but this meal was truly fantastic. It’s rare nowadays that a restaurant really executes in all fronts, but Itta Bena delivered. One of the best steaks I have had in years, great ambiance. Our server, (ninja) John, gave great recommendations, was great with my young kids (hence the ninja title), and had the perfect of conversation. It’s honestly a can’t miss when you are in Memphis. … did I mention the brass urinal? That was also a real hit with the kids! Haha.

Travelling from London, England this was our first night in Memphis and came across this hidden gem! Gorgeous food, great ambience but more importantly Jonathan was a truly shining light! So warm, friendly and made us feel right at home!! Highly, highly recommend!

Came to dinner here with friends on the recommendation of a local bartender and boy, howdy, yumminess rules here! I We started with the smoked bacon with feta & blueberry compote, which sounds like an odd combination but it was phenomenal. The fried green tomatoes with a lemon remoulade disappeared in a trice. My husband and one friend had the short ribs, tender & flavorful. Our other friend had the grilled lamb and was quite happy. We were all too stuffed for dessert but they looked yummy. Service was attentive and friendly, and our poor server was kept hopping - eight tables in her station! That she remained so cheerful and efficient is nothing short of a miracle. Definitely a highlight of our trip!

My boyfriend chose Itta Bena for a special romantic dinner, and it absolutely delivered. From the moment we climbed the discreet staircase up from B.B. King’s Blues Club on Beale Street, we sensed we were in for something unique — elegant yet relaxed, intimate yet spirited. The lighting was warm, the décor stylish without being pretentious, and we loved sitting by the window overlooking street lights and activity below — perfect for a “just the two of us” evening. The live music downstairs added character without overwhelming our conversation.

Itta Bena and our fabulous waiter, John, provided a primo experience for my husband and I. We were celebrating our anniversary and my birthday and received not only a champage toast for our anniversary but also a dessert for my birthday. Cocktails were great. Shrimp and beer bread appetizer was over the top. I am going to be obsessed with trying to make it at home! We had cajun pasta and shrimp and grits for our entrees. Both were spectacular. When John said shrimp and grits were the best in town, he was spot on. I think they were the best I've tasted anywhere. We will be back to Itta Bena. If you haven't been, I highly recommend visiting as soon as possible!

We celebrated our daughter’s birthday here this past weekend. Our party was split into two groups on opposite sides of the venue, which was a negative. The food was excellent, the service was good and the atmosphere took me back to an older Memphis/New Orleans vibe. My daughter was graced with a crème brûlée by the restaurant, which was a pleasant end to the evening. There is no handicap access and the staircase is quite steep, not for the mobility impaired

Steak house
Capriccio Grill is an upscale eatery located inside the historic Peabody Hotel in downtown Memphis. It offers a polished and airy space for breakfast, lunch, and steakhouse-style dining at night. The restaurant is known for its Italian steakhouse concept, featuring a menu with prime steaks, chops, seafood, and plenty of pasta options.
Everything we tried was fresh, flavorful, and cooked just right. The Mediterranean Pizza was a favorite. We swapped chicken for shrimp and it still came out perfect. Crust was great and it needed no changes. The Sea Bass Wrap was light with a slightly sweet, creamy sauce and the fish was seared beautifully. The Sea Bass Fish Tacos were refreshing and delicious with a pineapple salsa that was subtle and not too citrusy. The fruit on the side was very fresh. The Peabody Burger was thick, juicy, and seasoned well with a cute duck branded bun. Fries were good too. The staff was very polite and our server was phenomenal. She checked in often and made sure we had everything we needed. Great experience all around.
Tommie B — Google review
Very delicious food. Not exactly worth the price point, perhaps because in part this restaurant is in and a part of the Peabody hotel, but if you're looking to splurge and want an italian-american upscale dining experience in the hotel, this can be worth a trip. The seafood risotto was very buttery and creamy, however actual seafood protein portion in it was lacking. The gnocchi with braised short rib was also very rich; they let the umami-beef flavor shine in that dish. Balance of beef to gnocchi was good. The Entrees we had were well seasoned, I might say very slightly on the edge of salty. The bread and butter board appetizer item is a very good pick. The pretzels and bread loaf it came with were served warm. Highly recommend the truffle butter and smoked honey butter (the Smokey flavor was barely noticeable and not too much). Do not recommend the sweet potato casserole thing; was expecting a mash-like glazed yams type of flavor with the hit of the pecan crust they put on top, but the actual side dish had a strange aftertaste to it.

We had a fabulous experience at this restaurant located in the Peabody hotel. The service food in atmosphere were impeccable. And the quality of the food for the price was very reasonable. I highly recommend dining here when you’re in the area.

My sister and I came here on a Friday afternoon following the duck parade. We were seated right away and greeted by Justice, our server. She was kind, attentive, and gave good recommendations. She even checked if the soup of the day contained flour since my sister has celiac. We ordered the soup of the day and each got a salad. We were not disappointed. The soup was phenomenal- a cauliflower chowder. It was savory and full of flavor without being salty or heavy. The salads we got were filling and had light dressings. Of course we ended our meal with the duck dessert. It was so rich but worth it. We ended up taking soup and half a dessert duck back to the hotel with us for later. The highlight of our meal was Justice. She was on top of everything. Engaging. Kind. Funny. She went to the concierge to get a map so she could point out highlights and other places to try. She made sure we were set for the rest of our stay in Memphis. She completed our magical day by going above and beyond.

Bread and butter board was a huge hit. Thought it would be simple but it was extravagant. Kayla is most likely the best server in Memphis. Everything she suggested was extremely delicious. We definitely picked the right spot to celebrate Fathers Day.
Rick T — Google review
Overall, it was a good experience at best. Service was great until we got to pay the check. For some reason, our server disappeared after serving us desert. Waited close to 10 minutes, and there were literally only 2 tables being served. For some odd reason, this is the first Italian restaurant that does not serve bread with olive oil as a snack. We tried their ceaser salad and oyster frittas, and those were delicious. For the main course, we tried their BBQ chicken pizza and halibut special with red pepper polenta. Chicken pizza tasted great, but I wish they were not so stingy on the chicken. Halibut was cooked to perfection, but my wife was not a big fan of the polenta. Their Mississippi mud pie was amazing. Probably best of the whole meal.

We had dinner here but wish we chose another restaurant. We ordered the Jack Daniel’s special. The meat was tough the sauce on the shrimp was not good. For the price the portion was lacking. It included a few Dollips of mashed potatoes. No bread vegetables. Our server was not attentive I had to get another server to get us our bill. I don’t recommend this restaurant at all.

A delicious place to eat. My boyfriend and I had brunch at this place and we love d the food. The attention of the staff is very warm and they help you choose if you have questions by making recommendations. The chef’s seasoning is excellent, the confit potatoes are incredible, another level of flavor. Without a doubt I highly recommend this place.

Cozy Corner Restaurant is a long-standing favorite for barbecue enthusiasts in Memphis. Established over two decades ago, it has become a beloved spot for classic Memphis pork ribs and other intriguing specialties. The restaurant's no-nonsense setting adds to its charm, making it a must-visit for those craving authentic barbecue flavors. In addition to the traditional offerings, Cozy Corner also stands out with unique dishes like whole Cornish Hen and turkey, available with advance notice.
If I could give Cozy Corner Restaurant more than 5 stars, I would. I ordered the ribs, and let me tell you, these aren’t just good ribs… these are life-changing ribs. The flavor hits you like a smoky, savory hug, the meat falls off the bone like it’s been waiting its whole life for this moment, and that sauce… oh man, the sauce! Perfect balance of sweet, tangy, and smoky with just the right kick. Every bite felt like a celebration of BBQ done right. I’ve had ribs all over Memphis, but this? This is the standard now. Cozy Corner isn’t just serving food, they’re serving happiness on a plate. If you’re in Memphis and you don’t eat here, you’re missing out on what might just be the best BBQ experience of your life. Period.

Not much to look at from the outside but the food was delicious especially the cakes and the rib tips were so dang tender. We got the hot sauce but it wasn’t spicy. The potato salad was yummy. I wasn’t a fan of the baked beans. I definitely think the cakes are better than the peach cobbler.
Jennifer D — Google review
My fiancé and I stopped here after hearing so much positive feedback about the BBQ and now, we can add to it. We got a slab of ribs, smoke sausage, potato salad, and baked beans. The ribs were tender and smoked just right, fall off the bones. Potato salad was good, could’ve used a little more pickle relish but still amazing. The baked beans had no meat but a great taste of smoke. The smoked sausage was a last minute add on and was really good. I’ve eaten at just about all the BBQ spots and this Has to be the BEST. Highly recommend and will be back. I’m actually going to get some this week and vacuum seal them and send them to my aunt in Virginia. Well done Cozy Corner👍🏾💯

Great spot. I ordered a two wing/two rib plate with fries, and beans, plus a pound of rib tips. All the meats were fantastic, ribs and rib tips especially. The beans have a really nice unique flavor I couldn't put my finger on, but very good. I'm used to fairly expensive Texas BBQ, so I found CC to be very affordable, sandwiches and sandwich plates are very fairly priced. I think I spent about $32 or so, plus I grabbed a sliced pork sandwich plate for my mom on the way out for like $9. Very friendly people, the manager was walking the floor checking on customers and making sure everyone was happy which I always appreciate. All in all a place I would absolutely visit again if I find myself in Memphis. Thank you!

This amazing corner is where it pops!!!! I came in for lunch and it was the BEST BBQ BURGER!!!! Full of flavor on a soft bun with mild bbq sauce and a side of coleslaw, super delicious!!! Inside is simple, nothing crazy… has a Cozy Corner inside of the shop that accommodates 8 guests. Plenty of sitting room. Took me long to come here, but I regret nothing going there sooner. This is a Valdi approved joint!!!!

As a Texan, I have always wanted to try Memphis barbecue, and boy o boy, we were not disappointed. We found this spot on our way through right off the interstate. The ribs were meaty and tender, and although the sauce was very different than what we were used to, it was still delicious. The bbq beans were baked in that sauce and to me seemed a little sweet but not bad, potato salad was good and fries nice and crispy. People were friendly and price for what you get is very reasonable. If you’re in the area, give this spot a try. It may not be pretty on the outside, but your taste buds and stomach will thank you.

Restaurant
The Beauty Shop Restaurant in Memphis offers a unique dining experience with its whimsical New American eatery and bar concept, reminiscent of a 50s-style beauty shop. The restaurant features vintage hair-dryer chairs, glass-brick booths, and glamorous copper and silver-leaf walls that create a warm and convivial atmosphere.
Wow! Brunch did not disappoint! Bacon eggs Benedict and the (lots of letters I don't remember 🙃) BLT with arugula, avocado, fried green tomato - fantastic! Packed half of my sandwich so I could have dessert. The chocolate meringue pie was out of this world with a chocolate base that the rich consistency of fudge. We will definitely be back!!

The decor is quite nice - like a 1960's beauty shop with glass walls between the booths. The menu is unique and intriguing. The portions are small and so I recommend you select an appetizer as well as the entree. They may have a children's menu but we did not need nor ask for one. I would not bring young children here based on the price alone. We had the Peach and Pork, Cucumber salad and dessert. There was a lot of time between ordering and food delivery I suspect because the food required more extensive preparation. We passed the time with the Monkey Bread appetizer for the table. The desserts were good and topped off the meal nicely.

We had a wonderful brunch experience here. The food, atmosphere, and service were absolutely perfect — 100 out of 100. The only downside was that some of the tableware wasn’t very clean, so we had to wipe it down ourselves. The dishes were creative and refreshing, with a great balance of fruits and vegetables that made the meal feel like a new experience. We tried four different dishes and enjoyed them all. This was one of the best brunch experiences we’ve ever had, and we’d love to come back to try more items on the menu.

I usually don’t write reviews but this was probably the best restaurant I’ve visited in Memphis. We went on a Sunday around 1:00 and we sat outside. Having the fans at the table was a big help with the TN heat and our waitress was so helpful and delightful. I wish I could remember her name. I ordered the “it hash to be” with veggies and it was the best and most flavorful meal I’ve had in a while. My friend ordered the steak and eggs and her steak was perfectly cooked and so delicious. We will definitely be back next time we’re in town!

Everything was okay. Ordered our food it took quite awhile to come out. It didn't seem to be busy inside as we were seated outside. Although I could be wrong. This was during Cooper and Young race. Our waitress was cool. I wasn't aware that there was an automatic gratuity charge which I don't like. I usually like to tip in cash. My friends lamb chops were ordered to be medium well, they came out medium rare and so pink inside. We really should've looked at the menu before coming.

Dinner here was a highlight of our Memphis trip! Heard that Priscilla Presley used to get her hair done here & that the restaurant kept some of the original kitsch & charm. Loved the vintage-y vibe! The Cooper Young neighborhood was definitely worth checking out; hip, lively, & safe. You won't be disappointed if you order the monkey bread w/dill butter as an app & sip some great cocktails as you wait for dinner. Our entrees were flavorful & had lovely presentations as well. Would recommend this to anyone visiting Memphis!

I tried the evening's special. Ribeye steak with potatoes.. Seasoned well and cooked perfectly. My only complaint no steak sauce (I'm a condiment person) I have to mention the waitress offered to have the kitchen whip some up but I declined, again, it was seasoned well enough on its own.

My partner and I had a wonderful experience. The food was so delicious. My medium-rare steak was perfect. The Mac and Cheese was soooo great. The waiter was attentive. The staff were friendly. Me and my friend went to this restaurant yesterday I ordered the lemon drop martini it was good my burger was good as well but the fries were cold and hard I asked the waitress for ketchup she left our table and went and talked to another table for at least ten minutes before ever coming back at that point I told her I didn’t need the anymore considering I had already eaten most of my food waiting on her to return then she took the money for our bills and at least 20 mins passed and she never returned with the change I had to ask another server to find her then he brought the change back stating she said her shift was almost over which apparently is a excuse to ignore your table and not bring their change back ? Overall a terrible experience and waste of time and money

Well I tried it again today July 13,2025 and it’s terrible than last time it looks a mess and for my money I want be eating their any more , I’ve been eating there for years ever since they been serving Veggie Burgers the only place my husband and I liked, this is terrible. How can you eat something and it’s falling out of your hands, looks like I can put gravy on it and make gravy and rice, it’s a bowl of rice on bread , how can you charge money for this.3 people 65.15 not worth and ended up in the garbage.

Mannnn I HATE leaving bad reviews but this was kind of rough. I have plenty of friends on the service industry so I know how tough it can be sometimes but tonight was kind of wild. I went in there and ordered a steak with mashed potatoes. As I’m eating I find a WHOLEEEE Yukon Gold potato in my mashed potatoes the size of a wiffle ball LOL. I told the server about it and showed her, her jaw literally hit the floor, said nothing and literally ran away from my table. No sorry, no let me get a manager, no nothing. Just didn’t address the situation at all. I know it sounds like an exaggeration but I don’t know if that potato was straight out of a bag, off the floor, hell if it had even been washed. Tonight was u acceptable. I still ate my food bc I try not to be a guy that complains. But the fact that nothing was done about it is what’s really killing me

Nestled in the charming White Station neighborhood of Memphis, The Capital Grille stands as a beacon of upscale dining, offering a classic American steakhouse experience that is both elegant and inviting. This refined establishment features an extensive menu showcasing an impressive variety of dry-aged steaks, including porterhouses, ribeyes, and filet mignon. Complementing these culinary delights is a remarkable wine list curated by master sommelier George Miliotes, featuring over 350 selections from renowned grape-growing regions worldwide.
This restaurant was absolutely amazing! Dim, ambient lighting with light music playing with beautifully decorated surrounding sets a very relaxing mood. The food was timed wonderfully. I wasn't rushed to finish the appetizer because my plate was arriving. All of the plates were plated, presented and served with elegance and grace! Worth every penny spent!

This place never fails to disappoint. This is the first and only place I can actually eat medium steaks here because the quality of the steak is so good that it truly melts in your mouth. Every time I come here the level of customer service, ambiance, and class is always worth the price of the experience. It’s never too loud in here and the setting is dimmed and intimate. Valet parking here is always fast and convenient with service. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Darryl as a waiter, he’s very knowledge of the menu and he hasn’t made a recommendation that I didn’t like yet! He goes above and beyond and I’m always willing to spend the extra money aside to tip him. Every time I’ve came here for a special occasion they always go above and beyond to make it indeed feel very special. I truly wish more restaurants had the level of service and quality like Capital Grille does.

I abSOULutely love this place!!! They called to confirmy reservation the day before, thank goodness because of forgotten! Then they were so kind when I called to reschedule to the following day. No problem, hassle or attitude, just graciousness!! From the moment I stepped through the door, that was opened and held for me to enter 🤏🏽 clock it 🤏🏽, I was treated like royally!!! I'm a Leo, so I ate that up.🤣🤣🤣. James was EVERYTHING!! He was attentive (knew my good allergies, I'd forgotten they're inquired when scheduling my reservation), kind, personable and knows what he's doing! I wanted a steak, but usually don't eat them outside of my home because, well done steaks piss people off, and I just don't like that drama. He assured me that it's a safe space for well done steaks, and promised that it would still have juice and flavor. Also, I purchased a lobster and crab cake, table portion brussel sprouts and mash potatoes... Yeah, I know, I have enough left over for the next to days, but let's stay on topic. EVERY👏🏽 THING👏🏽 MADE 👏🏽MY 👏🏽TOES👏🏽 DANCE👏🏽. AND THAT STEAK? 🤌🏽🤌🏽🤌🏽🥹 The food was stellar! EVERYONE exceeded EVERY expectation. James and Manager Greg made this intended outing for a burger and wine, THEE fine dining experience that I never knew I needed. I walked in and realized, I wasn't having a burger and since I was driving and didn't trust the strength of the wine, I decided to have a ball, and these two made sure that I was The Belle. Thank you so much, James! Thank you so much, Greg! I don't think this will be the "sad season" I've been preparing for, as your kindness has deeply moved me. I can't wait to return, and I miss James already. He's relocating, so you have a few days to get THE EXPERIENCE! 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 stars (because of the manager Dakota's service!) I came to The Capital Grille for my birthday dinner and ordered the lamb, which unfortunately came out extremely overcooked and burnt, and it took over 30 minutes to arrive. When I brought this to the attention of the manager, Dakota, he was incredibly kind, professional, and understanding. He went above and beyond by comping our entire dinner, giving me a gift card, and warmly welcoming me back. Mistakes happen, but exceptional service is what truly stands out. Thanks to Dakota, I’ll definitely be returning. Great customer care!

Today I visited The Capital Grille with my daughter after a long time, and it was such a joy to be welcomed by a Hispanic employee, Mr. Horacio Dávalos. Right away, I asked him for a recommendation for the evening, and he gave a perfect description of the New York Strip Medium Rare, along with the restaurant’s highlights: Mashed Potatoes and Lobster Mac & Cheese. He explained the menu beautifully, both in English and Spanish, showing great knowledge and professionalism. What impressed me even more was discovering that he wasn’t the waiter but actually the waiter’s assistant. It made me very happy to see that the restaurant provides opportunities to the Hispanic community. With his talent, I am confident he will soon grow into a full waiter position. I must also mention our waitress, Ever, who served us with such kindness and exceptional style. And to end the evening on such a high note, we were delighted when the manager, Mr. Wittman, came to our table to personally ask about our experience. I did not hesitate to congratulate him for the excellent way he manages his restaurant and his team. When people are treated with respect, dignity, and above all, love, that same love shines through in the way customers are cared for, and that is the most important thing. Thank you so much for such a beautiful evening. My daughter and I truly enjoyed it, and we look forward to coming back very soon.

I absolutely loved their pancakes, eggs, and sausage; everything tasted fresh and not unhealthy at all. My only wish is that we could have a seat and have our orders taken at the table. Instead, you go in, place your order, grab a number, and then take a seat. Overall, it was a great dining experience!

Excellent example of a historic restaurant. The food was fantastic, especially anything with biscuits. The service is a little different. It took me a while to realize I was supposed to go get my own coffee. Nothing wrong with that but I didn't know. There's just a few things to get used to, then you can enjoy a great breakfast!

Not my vibe at all, the food was bland and kept under warmers. I wasn't a fan of the atmosphere, it was noisy, but not diner noisy like I would expect at like a Waffle House. There was loud banging coming from what I'm assuming it was some equipment in the back, and it was over powering throughout the whole restaurant. My food was cold when I got it, and was not very good to me. I would suggest this place to someone that is looking for an affordable meal that gets the job done, but if you're looking for a good breakfast that brings character, this may not be the place for you.

Service was timely and accommodating. Biscuits were great! Definitely worth the try.

All the meats we had were also really good. The gravy wasn't as good as I was expecting either. I would eat here again just not with as high expectations as before.

We chose a late night dinner, the experience was very pleasant for our 1st time. I brought my man for his birthday dinner and he didn’t even complain about the portions. The drinks were also good. Our server was amazing from his suggestion to his charisma. We enjoyed ourselves.

My husband and I ate here tonight and everything was absolutely delicious! GREAT service from a sweet server named Kristen. We had the Parmesan crunch chicken, artichoke dip, filet Oscar, salads, cream spinach and mushroom Mario . I highly recommend it all. It did ask online if we were celebrating a special event and we put anniversary but they unfortunately don’t do anything special to the table, etc for anniversaries I don’t think. I wish they had more desserts to offer as well but overall the food and service was 10/10!

NCAA FINAL FOUR!! This place is incredible! We love coming here several times a year. The food is amazing. I’ve had the salmon, grilled chicken, and shrimp and grits, and they were all exceptional. The lobster bisque is possibly the best I’ve ever tasted, and my wife says they serve the best burger she’s ever had. However, what really sets Buckley’s apart is the service. Jeff and Sean have done an incredible job developing a staff and training them to be the best waiters and waitresses of any restaurant I’ve ever visited coast to coast. The staff is personable, friendly, attentive, engaging and helps you enjoy your meal without being pushy. Here again! We love this place. It’s got a cool, laid back vibe. Our server, Dara, did an amazing job helping us feel special and ensuring the food tastes great.

I honestly don’t know where to begin with this review. Idk if it’s this lemon drop martini or this artichoke spinach dip they have;but my server Raven has me feeling some type of way. Amazing is only the beginning of this beautiful trip I’m taking from this amazing experience. You should definitely try them out Memphians #901👌🏾❤️🤩

Went last night to celebrate a birthday and I will say the service was great. Our server Raven did a wonderful job. There were a couple hiccups with the food but nothing even worth mentioning in detail because they fixed it immediately. The food was good, the drinks were great and the ambiance is really nice. I would definitely visit again.

I had a great experience. I didnt have a reservation so my boyfriend and I ended up eating at the bar. Please ask for the bartender Michelle and she will hook you up. I had the drink special (long island) and chicken pasta. So delish! We enjoyed our visit and date night. Next time we will make a reservation in advance. The drinks, appetizer, entrées and dessert were all good. Update: Love the dim lit atmosphere. Perfect for date night. We had William as our waiter and he was helpful. The bacon jam was definitely something different.

You have to try this place. Best service and the food is so delicious. Hats off to their chef. Best steak just melts like butter. Romantic atmosphere. We love it.

The atmosphere, service, drinks, and food were all above what we expected from the prices, even though we had read the great reviews. Hubby had the NY Strip, and I had the filet and shrimp and grits. Both steaks were cooked and seasoned perfectly, and the shrimp and grits were delicious. We have already planned to go back tomorrow night. Highly recommend you try them if you're in the area!

Alcenia's is a beloved soul food spot located on Main Street in Memphis, offering classic breakfasts and Saturday brunches in a vibrant and friendly setting. The colorful decor and eclectic artwork create a funky ambiance, complemented by the jukebox playing Memphis hits. The menu features traditional 'meat and two' dishes like fried chicken and pork chops with sides such as sweet-potato fries and fried green tomatoes.
The service was great and the food was good. The owner came over and greeted us at our table and was very courteous. Our server did a great job and she went out of her way to accommodate us. I had the fried catfish with the macaroni cheese and the yams, and it was good. My coworker had the fried chicken and he said that it was good. All of the entrées are cooked fresh to order. The dining room area is kind of small, but it is a nice intimate environment with nice music. There is plenty of free parking on the street in this area and there’s also a parking lot across from the restaurant.I will be back to support this restaurant.

“I died and went to Heaven!” Exclaimed my son’s dad after 1 bite of the fried chicken at Alcenia’s. That was just the first of many positive comments regarding the food at this place. And that’s without mentioning the most pleasant people serving us including the owner. This is the way dining should happen. Great food, great service, great camaraderie with other patrons. We are passing through from Phoenix to Philadelphia to take my son to college and needed a place to eat. We didn’t think we would eat too much so were going to share but ended up ordering extra food while we were there to take with us on the road! And we had to take a pie too! We each got a kiss on the head and heard her tell others about the recipes in her book. I didn’t even mention the scrumptious peach ice cream we got to sample!! We were so full but the food was SO good it was hard to stop. How they get the chicken so tender and keep the coating so crispy, is beyond imagine, and the flavor was the BEST I have ever had in my 55 years! Then there was the gravy, fritters, yams … I could go on and on!! I will definitely come back to Memphis just to go to Alcenia’s!! It was our pleasure to get the opportunity to eat there and we are blessed to have met her! Thank you TJ!

Our food was good (pork chip, catfish, mac and cheese, green beans, cornbread). The building is very cute with the eclectic seating. The owner is sweet and gave her an infamous hug after ordering. I was worried about parking but they have signs with dedicated parking for their patrons.

I like to support small black owned businesses. I will pull up to a bbq grill on the corner or food truck to support. Yesterday I decided to try Alcenia's. I saw it while working a conference downtown, and when I was looking for fried pork chops to eat, I thought I would try it. I went on the website to check out the menu. WARNING: The prices on the site do not match what you will pay at the restaurant! When I saw fried pork chops, I figured that it came with 2 pork chops, but when I called in my order, I found the dinner came with one. For the price, I would usually get 2 chops at other soul food restaurants, but I guess they charge more since they are downtown. Maybe it should say "pork chop plate" instead of it being plural. So I purchased the pork chop plate with Mac n cheese and yams. I wanted a slice of German chocolate cake, but they didn't have any. So I decided to get something outside my regular and try the bread pudding with the bourbon sauce. When I arrived to pay at the restaurant I wasn't expecting the price hike. I would have gone somewhere else to eat. It said $17.95 for the pork chops on the website, but you see on th receipt it actually says pork chop $19.50. The bread pudding is $5 on the website, but in store, it's $8 plus $0.50 for the bourbon sauce. The container wasn't full for the price. The cashier just said that she doesn't know why they won't update the prices. I did ask about how much an extra pork chop was, and I was told $8.50. Now to the taste. The yams were good. The Mac n cheese lacked cheese, sauce, and flavor and was kind of dry. The flavor of the pork chop is in the batter, but the batter was falling off when I started to eat it. This is a thick pork chop if you like them thick. The chop itself was not seasoned and kind of dry. The bread pudding bread was a little tough at the top but got more moist and soft towards the bottom. Do not eat the bourbon sauce if you are a former alcoholic, can't drink alcohol while on the job, or if you don't want to have a buzz in the middle of the day. This sauce is a straight shot of bourbon. Someone will smell liquor on your breath after eating it. I'm glad I just did a little sip. For the price, it was not worth it to me. I was looking at the pictures of the catfish, and I like the larger fillets, but how much will it cost and what other sides would I try? I'm not sure if I will give them another try. But I just wanted you all to know you need to call and check prices. Do not go by the website. There is plenty of street parking.

I was there with a group of family and friends because two of the family and friends were from Seattle and had not been back in a while. Even though BJ got on me and said it took our friend from Seattle to get me back to Alcenias. BJ just didn't remember me coming wink wink. It was a good day to go. There wasn't a crowd even though we made a reservation just in case. The food was fabulous and one of our guests was a young man who stated he had never had good cooking like this anywhere. His mom gave him the side eye. We had a variety of dishes with 5 guests. There was no complaints. Everything was satisfactory. We loved the upgrades of the decorum. Very nice. Praying for only the best for this place BJ. And I will be back with my hubby so that he can try you guys out as well. Be blessed!

It’s not just the places you go but the people you meet (and the food you eat) along the way that make unforgettable memories!! Ms BJ and her Alcenias team are absolutely amazing. Ms BJ is so loving and welcoming. My visit was nothing short of amazing and was one of the many highlights of my Memphis visit… from being greeted and welcomed to the family with a forehead kiss to being served some of the most delicious soul food, Ms BJ makes you feel like you’re at grandmas for Sunday dinner. Having the opportunity to listen to Ms BJ share her love and passion for cooking along with her recipes was an absolute bonus! #foodforthesoul #downtownmemphis #Cookedwithloved

This coastal-themed restaurant is renowned for its extensive seafood menu, featuring delights like Chilean sea bass and fresh raw oysters. The expansive covered patio allows guests to soak in the serene surroundings while enjoying exceptional dishes.
From the moment we walked in, we were blown away! The atmosphere was upscale yet relaxed, perfect for a special occasion or a casual night out. Our server was incredibly attentive and knowledgeable. Food was great! The entire experience was top-notch, from the quality of the food to the impeccable service. We will definitely be back! Highly recommend!

Wow! I feel so lucky to have gone here tonight. We were invited by some friends and it was a magical treat. First off, we sat outside and the view is incredible of the lake at sunset. The weather was perfect; not too humid. Second, the food was absolutely delicious. We started with raw Oysters that were so fresh and delicious. 3 of us had the Japanese scallops and they were the best I've ever had. So flavorful and cooked to perfection. One of us had the Chilean seabass and said it was excellent. The portions are generous and the price is on the upscale side, but not outrageous. The service was great. Our server did an excellent job of making sure were taken care of, but not intrusive. Overall, this was a great restaurant and I hope to definitely be back. It is a very large establishment and the place was packed. I would highly recommend coming here.
Alisa T — Google review
We hosted a team dinner there with a guest from Boston. Our team was from the biggest hospital in south. We were made to sit on the patio. The temperature was 98 and the heat factor was 103. There was air conditioning space available and our requests to sit inside were denied. The manager carefully avoided eye contact. Two of my team members had bugs in their water glasses. I guess free protein. The food looked great, but has no flavor. We left most of the food untouched. All food had a generous amount of grease and we could use some of that for our lawn equipment. We were a 6 party team and were given a small table. After we ordered appetizers, we had no space in table: so we had to keep the heavy wooden menu cards on our laps. Some questions.. why were we not advised that there is excessive heat and indoor option would be best. I guess your decisions were made on profit margins rather than customer comfort. If the menu cards are so damn heavy, why don't you make them lighter or give more space on table to keep them. If a midsouth patio is a charm for 98 degree weather. Why don't you have air coolers. Which noble prize physicist advised you that circulating fans will make the place cooler. The entire patio was one big airfryer. For a pricey restaurant, this was hmm...certainly a shame Thanks for an awesome experience. May be it was Shakespeare's midsummer evening dream. The food was a dream and hospitality far from reality.

I went on my birthday (8/26) and my first time doing. The service was amazing (Nathan did a fantastic job, loved him). I recommend 10/10. From the appetizers down to the drinks were top tier phenomenal. My steak melted in my mouth. We had the west indie egg rolls, crab cakes, and oysters for appetizers. Also had the pork ribeye. Chef’s kiss 😘 on EVERYTHING.

Upon entering the restaurant, we were greeted by the three hostesses. The ambiance was great!! We were seated and our amazing experience began. We could see the lake from where we were seated. Our waitress Sydney was AHHHHMAZING and very knowledgeable about what to recommend. We ordered the NOLA oysters and the egg rolls as appetizers. I ordered the crab cakes, with greenbeans, and creamed corn. My man ordered the steak, asparagus, and potatoes. Everything was exceptional.

It was my first time eating there. Very pleasant with beautiful scenery and the backdrop of the lake. Sat on the porch. Even though it was almost 90 degrees, it wasn't too hot on the porch with the help of fans and plenty of airflow. The meal was very delicious! Very professional and courteous staff as well.

This place can be hit or miss but you have to experience it for yourself! I’ve been a few times! The last time we went was on my wedding anniversary & the food was good for the most part. Minimal issues. Our oysters were not cooked the way they have been cooked in the past but they were ok. The steaks however were really good but lobster tail was a bit mushy. Also they have really good Chilean Sea Bass which is a must try! All night we were getting happy anniversary from the staff which speaks to the service! They also took care of the lobster tail issue & gave us complimentary glasses of champagne for our anniversary! Again though it’s hit or miss it’s definitely worth experiencing at least once or twice!

The Side Porch Steakhouse is a charming, family-owned chophouse that has been serving classic steakhouse dishes since 1976. Located in Bartlet, it offers a cozy and relaxed atmosphere, making it a popular spot for locals. Unlike many other steakhouses, Side Porch includes sides and salads with its reasonably priced entrees starting at $12. The menu features a variety of affordable starters and a basic wine list.
Came from Louisiana to visit Memphis and wanted something local and unique and we hit the jackpot with this little gem! Thanks to local references in a Memphis restaurant review group we had the most delicious meal tonight! They give you very generous portions and the complementary bread is fresh and addictive! Karlie was a wonderful server. Very attentive and sweet! If we come back up this way we will definitely be back!

Man looks can be deceiving. Service was awesome the ambience was so cute and welcoming oh but the food. This place came highly recommended and we were excited to give it a try. The pricing was very reasonable, that's why I'm not too upset that the food didn't meet the hype both of our steaks lacked seasoning of any kind and we both requested medium it taste so dry and crumbled as you continue to chew it (like rubber bands) We tried adding steak sauce, salt, pepper and still didn't help the taste and texture of this food. The croutons were the star of this show tonight. We won't be back unfortunately the first impression was a lasting one. They did say their regular cook was off and maybe that's why it turned out bad Updated Response to owner: I appreciate your passion but please understand everyone is not going to give your establishment a 5 star, if their experience wasn’t five star worthy. Please take your customers honest feedback as a form of constructive criticism and an opportunity to fulfill the vision you have for your establishment. We did notify your staff and she offered to remake it but, we respectfully declined to avoid wasting your product and it coming out the same way due to your regular cooks not being on duty that day (per your staff). She also offered us a discount card for our next visit but, we declined. We wish you and your establishment the absolute best!

It was our first time visiting this restaurant. We drove onto the premises, from what we saw the parking lot was full. We ended up parking on the pharmacy's parking lot When we got out of our vehicles, we were unaware of the parking on the other side of the restaurant. When we got inside the restaurant, we were told it would be an hour wait before were able to get atable inside. I asked if reservations were required and the hostess told us it would better if we do. That way it would give us a better chance in getting a table. Otherwise, she gave us an option to choose a table outside on "side porch" in which we did. The prices are a little high but the food was really good, especially those croutons bread along with the salad! What really was pretty refreshing was the side porch atmosphere. I think it was really nice and relaxing, feeling the gentle breeze, watching the cars go by while waiting on our food. I would try this restaurant again whenever I'm in the neighborhood.

I took my wife here for our anniversary based on a recommendation from her Doctor and I am not disappointed that we chose to come. We made reservations in advance and when we arrived were seated immediately. I would say it was be best for you to make reservations if you hate waiting for a table. The building has a great atmosphere to it that feels down home and friendly. The staff were amazing and friendly for our entire meal especially our server ,Violet, who was always sure to check and make sure our drinks were full and that we had everything we needed for our meal. My wife and I both ordered the bacon wrapped steak with a Caesar salad and loaded baked potato. We also ordered a side of fried mozzarella as our appetizer. The food was amazing and the portions were perfect. In fact I would say we did not even need the appetizer between the entree itself and the "croutons" they gave us. For those that are used to the small hard croutons at other restaurants, these are not those. These croutons are more likened to garlic bread than standard small croutons. All of that to say that they were delicious and we found ourselves having to stop chowing down on them to save room for our main course. I would highly recommend coming out and giving them a try.
Dylan H — Google review
It was a small but pleasant restaurant. They had two dining areas one on a lower level and one a bit higher. My wife and I made reservations for our 26 anniversary and noted that on our reservation. I wasn't expecting anything for letting the restaurant know that but while making the reservation that was one of the questions. What surprised me is that none of the staff said anything about our anniversary again which is fine, but I would have thought with the question being asked. Our other concern was if we didn't have a large ceiling fan above us we surely would have been sweating. It seems like the lower dining area was a bit cooler. With the fan running on high we were able to start somewhat comfortably. Speaking of comfort the old wooden chairs were very hard and a little wobbly and would not slide out when getting up from the table. The good news is the food was delicious and the service was very nice.

I enjoyed my time here. Salmon was seasoned well and very delicious. Okra needed a bit of seasoning. My husband's onion rings were oily. OMG, their croutons are to die for. You'll want to take a few baskets home. The drinks were good. We had a margarita and island breeze. Overall, everything was great! We'll definitely be back!!!

My family and I recently enjoyed a delightful dinner at the Side Porch, and overall, our experience was quite satisfying. The restaurant's ambiance was cozy, providing a perfect setting for a family meal. While the steak's marinade might be a matter of personal preference, the croutons served as a delightful surprise that added an extra layer of enjoyment to our meal. We look forward to returning and exploring more of what this charming restaurant has to offer.
Alex K — Google review
I was excited to try this place, having heard it was a landmark in the past, and I hoped to discover a new local favorite. Unfortunately, it turned out to be quite a disappointment. To be fair, it was a busy Saturday afternoon, and while I understand that can affect service, it was only fair at best. The atmosphere felt more like a rowdy college bar, with noise levels that made conversation difficult. As for the meal, it fell short of expectations. The Med Rare steaks “Bacon Wrapped Filets” were so tough, and I had to give up on mine after just a third of it. The broccoli tasted like frozen cutlets hastily tossed into a pot, served without any seasoning. Even the supposedly famous croutons were soft and devoid of any garlic flavor. We genuinely hoped for a pleasant dining experience, but even the salad dressing for the salads was so watered down that it wouldn’t cling to the lettuce. On a positive note, the sausage plate and sweet potato were both delicious. While I recognize that any restaurant can have an off night, our experience left us hesitant to give them a second chance.

Outback Steakhouse is a lively Australian-themed restaurant chain that offers a variety of hearty steakhouse dishes, including juicy steaks and seafood. The establishment is known for its friendly service and Aussie hospitality. Customers have praised the attentive staff and delicious food, with some mentioning specific servers who provided excellent service. While some visitors were disappointed by the absence of certain menu items, they still enjoyed their meals and appreciated the overall dining experience at Outback Steakhouse.
Love this place. For what it is, its a great place to eat. Prices are pretty good for the portions, Food is tasty enough. The atmosphere is alright! On occasion, if you sit next to the bar, you'll probably see some sort of argument vreak out so if that interests you, go ahead! Sit away from the bar though and you'll be fine haha. In all seriousness, it's an outback steakhouse. Great for a budget night out!

First off, I would like to start off with the original plan for family dinner. It did not go as planned and we were not able to eat together. This dinner also served as a meet and greet with his little sister and Aunt. They live far away and I was really looking forward to this dinner with them and other family, but the only time I got to spend with them was in the waiting area. My party had a dinner reservation at 7:00 PM last Sunday evening for a large group. We arrived shortly before 7:00 PM and were asked to wait, which we did in the seating area. The seating area was a decent size, but not big enough for all of us to sit as there are other people waiting as well. We took up the majority of the seating area. We continued to wait for 45 minutes to an hour and still did not have a table. The host informed us that we were waiting on one specific table to finish up and that he thought they were almost done. As time went on, it was clear that they were not done and we continued to wait. Eventually, I wanted to get a drink so my boyfriend and I went to the bar and ordered a drink. It was a rum inspired Koala cocktail and it was absolutely delicious! The bartender was very cool and chill! I really appreciate her and I hate that I did not get her name. We decided to stay at the bar and eat as there didn’t seem to be a definite time that we would be eating. Shortly, after that, the rest of the group decided to go to the manager and see if they could be seated somewhere else separately but close to each other in which I did however, it was not close to the bar so our group was entirely separated. The food that we were served at the bar was delicious. I ordered a medium rare porterhouse with a loaded, baked potato and mac & cheese. The steak was cooked perfectly. My only complaint about the steak is that it was a bit tendon-y. The mac & cheese was creamy and everything I would hope for in mac & cheese. The loaded baked potato was soft and had the right amount of ingredients on it. My boyfriend ordered the pasta. He said it was delectable! At the end, we ordered a sweet potato to go. It was also super soft and scrumptious. The bartender took great care of us! She is phenomenal! Overall, it seems like you cannot count on having a dinner reservation here. It was truly disappointing not being able to eat with family, especially with meeting them for the first time. This restaurant dropped the ball big time in regards to managing reservations. Zero ⭐️ for this. 5 STARS 🌟 for the Bartender & Cooks I hate I didn’t get any pictures of food, but we demolished that food!🤣

I’m actually sitting in here as I write this. The service is so terrible!! This waitress took forever to come to the table. When she did arrive, there was no apology for the long wait , no greeting, just what can I get you to drink. I ordered a blooming onion, soup and salad, and a cocktail. The onion came out cold. NEVER HAD A COLD ONION FROM HERE. Took it back and I waited. Then my salad came. The lettuce was brown. I mean a lot of it. The rest that wasn’t brown was wilted. The soup eventually came out it was okay- I had baked potatoe soup—the French onion is better. I don’t think they’re using it hat was used before to make the soup—it was NOT creamy how it normally is. Everything just seems sooooooo lackluster and underwhelming now. I literally got another onion that was basically the same temperature as the other. My cocktail took 30 minutes to be delivered while I watched the bartender walk around and entertain patrons in the restaurant. One of the managers, a real nice girl, brought me another salad and took over my table. This will be my last visit to this location. And probably any Outback tbh. It has changed tremendously.

I placed a pretty large take-out order at 8:30am. They don’t open until 11 and I selected for a pick up time of 11:45. I place large orders for my employees at various places but this was our first time using Outback Steakhouse and let me just say, I will absolutely be using them again! They had my order ready at exactly 11:45, the food was fresh and the entire order ($450+ order) was entirely correct. First time that’s ever happened!! Everyone was so kind and helpful. Overton Square’s Finest — A Must for Steak Lovers! This place is an absolute gem in Overton Square. The atmosphere is classy but still comfortable, and the service was top-notch from start to finish. The wine list was impressive — lots of great options across all styles and price ranges. We started with the Butcher’s Bacon Rack and the Tokyo Cowboy Roll, and both were outstanding. The bacon rack was packed with flavor — bourbon jalapeño, pecan praline, aged white balsamic, and red chile flake made every bite different and delicious. The Tokyo Cowboy Roll was next-level: yellowfin tuna, wagyu beef, foie gras, avocado, and fresh wasabi… easily one of the best rolls I’ve ever had. I had the Caesar salad, which was crisp and perfectly dressed, and for my main course went with the Petite Filet — cooked exactly to order and melt-in-your-mouth tender. Everything about the meal was exceptional. Great food, great service, great vibe. I’d definitely recommend Porch and Parlor to anyone looking for one of the best steakhouse experiences in Memphis!

CG needs to catch up because this is top notch! Our server Aiden was amazing and made the night memorable for us! She was so welcoming and gave us great service! 10/10

They need a dress code. Food was good. Decor was great. Service was good. Parking was good. Glad they blocked off that turn lane out front from when it was The Public Eye. If you wear your best to spend $400plus Walmart, you should dress to spend $400plus here.

First time visting 💁🏽‍♀️ Paige you rocked it girl!!! Thanks for being so awesome. I ordered the lamb, never had lamb fried. It was a little undercooked and just didn't suit my pallet. Paige was so kind she allowed me to order something different. The Brussel sprouts were delicious. Bacon rack was very creative, blended with tons of different flavors. The patio is very nice but it was very chilly when we went. Service is through the roof hands down! Cost of food? Break out the big bucks for your visit!

Couldn’t have had a better experience! Our server was Emily and she was the most attentive server I have ever had, constantly making sure the messes I made didn’t end up on my clothes and making all the most excellent recommendations. The food was PHENOMENAL and blew us away!! 10/10 would recommend and can’t wait to go back. Started with the lobster bisque which was HEAVEN. I got the Wagyu Sampler and my husband got the wagyu ribeye- excellent. We got the bruleed cream corn and the asparagus as sides and they were also fantastic. The strawberry cheesecake was DECADENT!

Hands down the best dining experience my family and I have ever had!!! I'm so mad I don't remember our waiters name. He was very informative and on point. He helped up pick the best dinner choices. One of my sons have a food allergy and he made sure that the food would be prepared with no issues! Speaking of the food everything was DELICIOUS from the starters to the entrees dessert and drinks! This restaurant is the epitome of Treating Yourself! Yes the food may be costly to some but you get what you pay for! If we ever pass through Memphis again we will definitely dine there!!

Sandwich shop
Front Street Deli, Memphis' oldest deli, is a cozy cafe located in downtown Memphis. It gained fame as the filming location for The Firm and has recently reopened after a renovation. While it no longer features Tom Cruise memorabilia, it still offers delicious sandwiches and breakfast options. The menu includes hearty breakfast classics like pastrami and fried eggs on a croissant or bacon and sausage on a steamed biscuit. Visitors can also enjoy signature tomato bread and themed sandwiches named after famous movies.
One of the best sandwich places I have been too, I'm typically here every week. The stone hero is great, the meatball is great, some of the best chicken salad I have had. It's a small place so it can get crowded around lunch but they do great work I highly recommend!

Walked in immediately recognized the menu, knew what I wanted hands down. Probably the best Deli in Memphis and I have been trying them all, definitely worth the trip downtown.

Quaint shop, reminds you of an old school deli! The food is really good-just like those shops you would have visited with your grandparents. Excellent macaroni salad, delicious meatball sub-more than enough for two to share a sandwich. The marinara sauce is perfect and the meatballs are large and juicy! While you’re there, satisfy your sweet tooth with a homemade brownie or cookies. Customer service was spot on, I felt appreciated and I can’t wait to go back and try the NY!

Wow! Had the special which was a candied bacon BLT. It was absolutely delicious! Big portions. We shared a half of one and took the other half back to our hotel to eat later. Pasta salad and green salad with Italian dressing so good and fresh. The owner is working on getting his liquor license….a beer and one of these sandwiches would be even better! Very friendly service….definitely recommend this place! Short walk from the Hyatt!

Being a delivery driver downtown is difficult but the guys there made my job easy. They were helpful and friendly and helped me pick out an amazing sandwich! Literally, soft bread, yummy meat. I don’t know what it’s called but it’ll get it again. Thank you!

Best sandwiches in Memphis and the bread is perfect. Super friendly staff. I live in Midtown and come here during lunch because it's THAT much better than anywhere else.

This nasty man got an attitude because I instructed him to wash his hands before preparing my food. He was sweeping the floor when i walked in. Barely acknowledged me, granted it was closing time. Pulled the paper to wrap my sandwich when I asked "Are you gonna wash your hands first?" He responded, "I'm gonna put on gloves." One, you've already touched the paper that my sandwich is going on, and two, that is no substitute for hand hygiene. They are a combination. So unless you want a dust sandwich, probably not here. He eventually complied, but how many of you are willing to instruct someone on servsafe procedures?

Amelia Gene's, situated near Caption by Hyatt, brings a touch of French cuisine to its menu. The restaurant offers an array of unique small bites and starters, including Lemon Arancini and Tuna Crudo. Guests can also enjoy pasta options and dinner entrees such as elk short rib and a $110 domestic Wagyu Filet.
What a fantastic establishment. High end restaurant with an incredible industrial touch. Kelsey made our evening so delightful and refreshing, answering any questions and even helping with suggestions. The foods is absolutely delicious and chef Nate pays attention to detail of each plate along with everything going on his the restaurant. Starting off with the amazing biscuits is a must! Then there was the tempura squash blossoms, outstanding dish and one of my favorites of the evening. Final favorite was the carrot cake. Words alone cannot begin to describe the next level they have taken this cake to. Be aware that some the tastings are very small and just that, a taste. The wines are fantastic but a little on the pricey side.. but not a deal breaker.

This is quickly becoming one of my favorite restaurants in Memphis. It's fine dining, but not overly complicated or intimidating. The menu is straightforward, which I appreciate. I’ve sat at the bar on my last two visits. The first time, Antonio and Elbee made the experience top-notch. My last visit, Antonio did not disappoint again, and Mackenzie was just as great. All are extremely knowledgeable about cocktails and made great recommendations. Service was fast without ever feeling rushed, and the food was excellent—flavorful, perfectly seasoned, and beautifully presented. The combination of great food, a welcoming atmosphere, and bartenders who truly elevate the experience makes this place stand out.

My wife and I were born and raised in Memphis and currently reside in Piperton about 45 min from downtown Memphis. We went to Amelia Genes last night for the first time and were blown away by the atmosphere, service and food! This restaurant is one of the best, if not the best restaurant in Memphis and it’s surrounding areas. Our waitress was outstanding. I had the monk fish and my wife had the filet. Can’t brag on this place enough!

Had the pleasure to dine here one evening for a friend’s birthday. Loved the fine dining experience with some southern flare. From the food to the service, everything was exceptional. The atmosphere was very inviting and our cocktails to start were amazing, highly recommend the cxffeeblack old fashioned. The true highlight of the evening was the Rohan duck. It was probably one of the best duck dishes I’ve had with the crispiest skin that was to die for.

I was in Memphis for a work event and we had the pleasure of eating at Amelia's and it was an amazing experience and the food was top notch, I would travel all the way back from Michigan just for the perfectly cooked buttermilk biscuits with an amazing butter sauce and an apple sauce as well. Only suggestion would be to add a sausage gravy sauce as well! Service was outstanding couldn't ask for a better wait staff!

For our monthly "Dining Divas" dinner we chose Amelia Gene's. When you go onto their website it says "Elevating Expectations" & they delivered.  This place is absolutely gorgeous on the inside. They are not just all looks, the food was delicious. For my proper bite I ordered, Golden Potato Fondue, Tete De Moine, Black Truffle. For dinner I ordered the Home Place Pastures Short Rib | Hen of The Woods | Sweet Potato | Muscadine Glace. Along with dinner we had Dom d' Ile Rose which was phenomenal and I finished the night with one of the best Old Fashioned I've ever had. Dining here is definitely an experience worth trying, highly recommend.

Amelia Gene’s is truly most beautiful and modern restaurant in downtown Memphis with professional and friendly staff to ensure the best dining experience. The roasted carrot soup as the amuse bouche was delicious. Simmered with whole peppercorn and puréed to a thick pulpy soup. We ordered the Black Seabass and the Dry Aged Prime Bone in New York strip steak with beef grease popovers. Both entrees were decent with flavor profile and a reflection of a small town charm and interpretation of fine dining. Just would have preferred a higher quality steak with darker color and flavor for its steep price point. Would be delighted to return to try their appetizers and pastas next time.

misses the mark for me. The restaurant clearly aspires to deliver an elevated dining experience, with an emphasis on presentation and refinement. They just seemed confused about it though lol. The décor had this new-age but hippy dressing; the music was simply someone’s playlist lol; and most importantly, the menu lacked intention for me. They seem to focus on the experience of the food, so of course the portions are enough for like four bites—which I don’t mind, but under two conditions: the food has to be really curated and special (unique flavor profiles, artful presentation, progression from light to rich, etc.), and there should be an intentional narrative to the meal—like a tasting menu or prix fixe setup where each course builds on the last. That wasn’t the case, and while it would be nice (not required) for the restaurant to have a menu catered for that—maybe a series of three plates that lead to a big meal, all complementing each other and clearly portraying the restaurant as preferring that kind of experience—it just wasn’t there. Every plate was priced as a main entrée, and the dinner entrées were even more expensive, but the portions would still have you going back to Gus’s after. I had the biscuit with honey and apple preserve (excellent), the prawns (avocado and chili go really well together. Prawns a bit too fishy), lumache & radiatore (cooked well, but sauces a bit too overpowering) short ribs (same problem as pastas), and apple cheesecake (could do without caramel; a bit too salty) ~$170 for 2 (6/10).

Casual steakhouse chain known for grilled beef & other American dishes in a ranch-style space.
Rae was outstanding! She had a beautiful spirit of hospitality and was very welcoming! I hadn't been in a Longhorn Steak House in at least 10 years, but I will certainly make plans to go again in the near future:) She was pleasant as well as efficient. I had the Chopped Steak cooked well done and Mash Potatoes. And the Stuffed Mushrooms, along with a Coke. 30.37 was the total.

My first impression of this location was not good. There was no host @ the front entrance when myself & 7 other patrons came in to be seated. After waiting about 5 mins. I walked near the bar, found an employee & asked if anyone was working up front. Someone finally came & seated the 2 parties before me. I needed seating for 20 people & was told that their policy only allowed for 10 people to be seated in a group. If we could be seated that there was no guarantee that we'd be together. The restaurant was pretty empty around lunch & the hostess put very little effort into accommodating us. We sat @ the bar & had a few drinks & an appetizer & ended up leaving because we wanted our party to be able to sit together & better service.

I ordered the children's steak and baked potato, and that was good. I also ordered potato soup, and it came out warm they took it back, and it was steaming. Some of the food was not hot. But our waitress was good and they did a military discount.

We were a little perplexed by the "30 minute waitlist" when the restaurant wasn't even a quarter full, but we decided to be patient and I'm glad we were. Once seated, LongHorn Steakhouse took great care of us and the food was fantastic! The price for lunch was very good. We had a Cheesburger & Loaded Baked Potato, Kids Meal Steak, Filet Salad & Sweet Potato.

Food was okay, but waitress Raven was awesome--she along with twin hostesses, gave exceptional service--very appreciated. 2025 update Parmesean crusted lamb chops were interestingly good per a recommendation. The quantity of food + quality was priced appropriately. Lamb chops are seasonal, so get them while you can--highly suggested menu item. Appetizers was spinach dip, was okay, prefer neighbor restaurant spinach dip, but pita chips were baked to perfection. Daughter had a cheeseburger which tasted pretty good along with a good side item of asparagus.

Sat down at the table at 6:00pm. Didnt get drinks until 6:45pm. Received our appetizer at 7:15pm. Got up and left at 7:35 with no entrée. This place is a Joke. 5 family members were seated at a different table with different waitstaff 20 minutes after we were seated and got their drinks, entreés and to go boxes before we even had our APPETIZERS. This was absolute bullshit. We left when our family did. Did get comped shit even though I'd spoken to the manager twice about the situation.

Despite the food tasting good here, this location is TERRIBLE in regards to staffing, management, and efficiency. They can not handle a slow day or a high peak day such as Mother’s Day. There is no excuse as to why a steak order (1 steak, 1 potato) that was placed yesterday evening for 12:30pm today and I came in at 12:10pm because I knew they would be busy and have some hiccups, however I did not receive my meal until 12:50pm when several others received their meal before me REGARDLESS of what they ordered. Management only wanted to explain why my meal didn’t come out on time and not take accountability for what was definitely a mistake on pushing me down the line of orders especially when I was told by the manager herself that my meal was being packed in the back around 12:20pm.

The Butcher Shop Steakhouse Cordova is a no-frills restaurant that offers a variety of steaks, chops, and chicken dishes served with classic sides like baked potatoes. The restaurant has a traditional dining room with dim lighting and friendly staff. It opened in 1977 as the vision of owner Humphrey Folks, who named it Folks Folly despite doubts from family and friends.
Came to Fresh Burger Friday (11-2) and it really is the best burger in town. Right off the grill onto your bun. And since you dressed it yourself it’s just perfect. Great place for grown up date night with 6 different steaks plus pork chops, chicken, seafood and a few pasta dishes. Careful what you order or you won’t have room for desert which is just as good as the steaks.

Went there for a family special occasion, My daughters "Sweet 16" birthday dinner and had not been there in awhile. We ordered the appetizers of: 5 Cheese Spinach Artichoke Dip with tortilla chips and also the Sizzling Sauteed Mushrooms In seasoned butter & wine.. These were good. The manager, whom I assumed was wearing a green shirt walked by and asked how we were doing while eating the appetizers, then left. We ordered 14 oz NY Strip steak ($46) well done. (small steak in photo) We also ordered a 20 oz Ribeye steak ($57) medium well and a 30 oz Porter House steak ($62) medium well, we also were both having the "loaded" twice baked potato. The NY Strip steak was dry and bland. It was cooked SO OVER well that it had NO flavor or any texture. L00K at how black it is in the photo. My wife could not cut it and ended up taking it home for the dog. The Ribeye steak and Porterhouse steak were also OVERCOOKED. The Ribeye was like sawing wood, it did have some pink to it but very tough. The Porterhouse was a mixture of WELL DONE on one side of the bone and medium rare on the other side. Tough on one side and tender YET not cooked all the way on the other side. The "loaded" twice baked potatoes were both NOT hot, not even warm as per the photo, the grated cheese didn't even melt on them. Either they needed to stay in the microwave longer or the salamander for the cheese to melt. I told our waiter about the potatoes being cold and the steaks not cooked properly when he returned to check on us. He stated he had told his manager and that the manager was going to come see us. By the time I paid the check OVER $270, no manager had come to see us or ask about our meal. Just did NOT care.....smh As we left, the manager was standing at the main entrance talking to a couple, he looked and nodded at us and continued his conversation with the couple at the front never attempting to stop us or ask us about our meal. I chose NOT to make a scene about this due to the fact it was a special family occasion. I am at a loss as to how it has gone down so low like this, either by the cooking staff or the quality of the meats they serve. I had wanted to go to Fleming's Prime Steakhouse OR Stoney River Steakhouse but my daughter chose this location. Sad to say, I will NOT be returning and will NOT be recommending this establishment to anyone. The service and wait staff was great, it is just the quality of the meal you are served that is NOT worth you having to experience. Buyer beware,,, save your money and temper for a better place to dine and share special occasions at.

This review is only for the Friday burger day lunch special for The Butcher Shop Steakhouse. On Fridays only, this restaurant has a burger lunch special off which they take their steaks from the week and grind the meat and make steak burgers. I have been coming to this lunch special multiple times in the past years. It is always good. Currently the hamburgers/cheeseburgers are $11. They also have grilled salmon and catfish as well as bratwurst. Buns, lettuce, onions, tomatoes, pickles are provided. Condiments are available. The cost also includes a bag of chips. Fries and tater tots are an extra purchase. Drinks are also extra. The burgers are probably around 1/3 lb. and grilled on an opened flame. The meat is juicy and typically cooked to doneness of around medium to medium well. The ambiance is noisy but par for most lunches that have a lot of folks gathered. Plenty of seating areas including an outdoor patio. Service is attentive.

Came for a celebration dinner. We were a large party and had a room in the back. It was set up very nicely. Our server Frederick did a good job. We had a limited menu to choose from since our party was so big. Our drink order was placed as soon as we arrived. I got the Pomegranate Margarita and it was delicious. So delicious I had to get another one!! When everyone arrived our order was taken. Salad came out first then the entree finished with dessert. The grilled chicken was nicely seasoned and cooked. The brownie could have been warmed up but instead it was cold. I really wanted to try their lamb chops but it wasn't on the menu we had. Will come back to give that a try.

Grill staff doing a poor job. Buddy's med. ribeye and my lamb chops were grey. No sear whatsoever . When we left at 7:30 I walked by the grill and there almost zero fire- couldn't have cooked a hot dog. Ought to rename it The Salad and Potato Shop. Manager not watching the grill cooks. Only plus was the waitress, wedge salad and twice baked potatoes. 6-7:30 pm Thursday Sept. 18. Really need to tighten things up if you're claiming to be a steakhouse. Retrain the grill cooks.

The establishment offers prime-cut and Wagyu steaks, a Southern-inspired menu, and impeccable service in a white-tablecloth setting. 2 of my best girlfriends and I visited Sept 21st and was truly impressed by the service, the atmosphere, food and drinks. Our waiter Will was AMAZING! I hope he is there every time I visit. He was attentive, polite and professional. We started with drinks. All of them were delish! The atmosphere was casual yet a bit elegant fpr that touch of romantic atmosphere. Then the food...I ordered the Redfish & Lumpcrab (mild on the spice) and it was Delish! Also ordered was the Shrimp pasta with an array of sauteed mushrooms and Fried Chicken Breast with Mac & Cheese . That chicken breast was the most tender and moist fried breast I had ever tasted 😋 Of course I tried their dishes and EVERYTHING was very tasty! And because it was my birthday, I was treated with a creme brulee that satified my sweet tooth. I can't wait to return and try one of those 3 again!

Southern Social is a true dining gem. Every dish we tried was outstanding. The seafood gumbo was rich and flavorful — definitely order the bowl instead of the cup. The redfish topped with crab was perfectly prepared, the sweet potato casserole was phenomenal, and the Tamaha pork chop was equally impressive. And let’s not forget about the crème brûlée — absolutely delicious and the perfect ending to the meal. This is a must-visit restaurant when in Memphis or Germantown. Our server, Alec, provided excellent service and made the experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommended!

My 2nd visit. A birthday dinner for my friend. The service was so so good!!! I think our server was Treshon or Treon. I seriously apologize for not getting her name right. She was AWESOME!! Loved how she knew the menu and gave comparisons about the entrees when asked about the different entrees. Loved how she related to each in our party differently and personally. The bread pudding was delish! The blackened shrimp pasta was delicious. Was totally digging my wedge salad w/ blue cheese crumbles. Even my ginger ale was extra tasty! I don’t think I’ve ever given 5stars as a rating, but this placed earned it!

Jim's Place Grille is a Greek-American restaurant with a rich history, offering seafood, steaks, and fixed-price meals in a modern setting. Although there is no longer a location in Memphis proper, the Taras family continues the tradition at this suburban eatery. The menu features traditional Greek favorites like souflima and spanakopetakia alongside hearty American dishes such as steaks, chops, salads, and seafood.
We love Jim's Place. We went early right when it opened. We had a nice booth and the service was quick and friendly. We ordered drinks which were made well and to order. Appetizers of broiled oysters and shrimp cocktail. They were both delicious and met our expectations. We both had the ribeye as our main course. I chose the oscar addition which I enjoyed. The steaks were cooked perfectly to order, seasoned well and charbroiled to perfection. I highly recommend Jim's Place

I cannot say enough good things about having my son‘s rehearsal dinner here. Kristy, the servers, and the food were remarkable. Easy to work with, a beautiful room, amazing food choices, and all the food came out delicious and at the same time for 43 people. It was impressive. And a tremendous value as well - I cannot imagine there being a better experience for the price that we paid. Thank you guys for making our event a big success. Got many compliments from my guests. I have owned a wedding and event rental company for 18 years and have been involved with many rehearsal dinners. Jim’s place is a very smart choice!

We just had our rehearsal dinner at Jim’s Place a few days ago. It was absolutely beautiful and the service was top notch. This was our first visit, and we'll definitely be back. Our server was Braxton and he did a great job. We all enjoyed our entrees. I only have pics of my food, but there were 4 of us. I think 2 had the Salmon, which they were both happy with.

My wife and I eat out a bit but usually shy from what I would consider more expensive restaurants. Yet it was our anniversary vacation and we chose Jim’s Place as one our Must Do destinations. Unfortunately, we had forgotten to make a reservation so I was sure we would not get a table. Places this good don’t serve walk ins. Do they? Also, wasn’t there a dress code? I didn’t bring a dinner jacket, and recalled with some apprehension a fancy restaurant many years back that was a disaster to this jeans and button down guy. I needn’t have worried. The reservationist had already had my wife seated before I’d parked the car. They weren’t expecting us, but made a little room. There were people of all ages at this relaxed, comfortable classy dining spot. One family had brought a young daughter for her birthday. Business casual was the expected dress code, and most were dressed that way, some with coat and tie, some with golf shirts or even tshirts. But the STEAK! Our waiter suggested a 16oz Prime Rib, but I was set for about half that. It was perfect. I don’t know what they seasoned it with, but it was BY FAR the BEST steak I’ve ever had the pleasure of eating. My wife had a chicken pesto pasta dish. It was outstanding, too. Our waiter never let our drinks reach the bottom of the glass. He was personable and friendly when we needed him, and invisible when we didn’t. Family friendly, relaxed yet classy, Jim’s Place hits that sweet spot between the Olive Garden and the valet-parking $100/plate disaster I won’t visit again. We got out of there after a generous tip for outstanding service for about $130. Well worth it!

Our waiter, Elias, was professional and attentive. He timed the courses perfectly and made the whole dining experience exceptional. The feta phyllo puff appetizer was phenomenal. We were disappointed in the french onion soup but this was a minor setback. The main courses, steak and special crab stuffed grouper, were outstanding. We look forward to dining here again soon.

Just hosted rehearsal dinner @Jim’s place and Grill 4/4/25. It was an amazing experience. They provided event coordinator (Kristy) who answered/returned every call and questions I had. She allowed me early access to decorate (which is set up beautifully on its own). She made suggestions for local florist @C&J florists who also did a beautiful job. We had 4 dedicated servers who each were very knowledgeable and anticipated our needs. And the food was AMAZING!!! Will make the hour trip just for the crab meat topped filet!

This was my first time trying out Jim's Place. I had heard a lot of great things about the restaurant. My reservation was for 6:45 and we arrived a little early so I figured we'd have to wait to be seated. Not at all. We were seated at in less than 5 minutes. The atmosphere of the establishment was loud and exciting on the bar side and more calm and quiet in the dinning room. Our server was nice and knew all of the meals of the day by memory, but didn't offer nor bring us any water for the table. She did take our cocktail orders though. All of the steak selections ordered were cooked to perfection for medium rare lovers. My ribeye could have used just a little more seasoning but still was good. Everything was fresh, came out quick, and was hot. This will most definitely become one of my regular dinning spots!

Nestled in Saddle Creek, Local Lime | Germantown is a vibrant cali-mix restaurant that brings the essence of Mexico right to your plate. With an emphasis on tantalizing margaritas and mouthwatering tacos, this eatery elevates the traditional Mexican dining experience. Guests are encouraged to kick off their meal with a delightful salsa flight, showcasing various flavors that transport you straight to Cancun.
Tried Local Lime on a Friday early evening. Easy close parking, no wait for two. Service was very efficient, friendly, helpful, and on point. The food was all excellent. The flight of salsa added excitement to a usually routine app. All three choices were very flavorful, fresh, and good to mix. The chips were also very good with the right amount of salt and crispness. We shared the combo fajitas with steak and shrimp and this dish is our new favorite fajita meal from anywhere we have tried. The steak was cooked perfectly and was tender and extremely flavorful. The shrimp had just the right amount of seasoning. All the veggies and peppers and onions were grilled perfectly and we absolutely enjoyed every bite. Will be going back to Local Lime soon and taking our friends and family. A new favorite spot!

Easily makes my Memphis top 10. Absolutely loved this place. Didn’t expect it to be this good, fresh, and surprisingly kind of addictive! We had the veggie taco and the first bite damn so good. Mint rice that comes with it, tasted just as home cooked. Shrimp quesadilla was served a little cool but didn't disappoint. More than the fried chicken taco, the veggie tasted great. The chicken tenders were cooked well but yes it looks slightly overdone or too crispy

Local Lime was a wonderful dining experience! I ordered a la cart with fried shrimp taco and ahi tuna taco. My side was the drunken beans, so yummy! Please treat yourself to the zucchini salsa-best salsa ever that pairs well with their perfect for dipping chips. The strawberry basil margarita was NICE. Our server, Taylor, was a true professional! Loved it and will be back!

Tried Local Lime while in Memphis on a short trip—pescatarian options were kind of limited, so I was happy to find this spot. I ordered the queso with chips and the fried fish tacos. Everything was really fresh and the service was great. For me, the tacos could’ve used a little more flavor/seasoning to make them stand out, but overall it was a good experience. I’d definitely go back next time I’m in town. CuppaTash sip: Fresh brew, just missing that extra kick of flavor—but still worth another pour. ☕️✨

So happy we had dinner here! The food was excellent. We had great service provided by Brittany. We sat on the patio with our little dog and it was a great time.

Had the 3 steak tacos, they were flour shells, made it much easier to eat..service was excellent, especially since they were so busy. Tacos were good, not something I would crave again.....chips & Salsa before our meal was missing, not sure they are even offered ?? The 2 sides were not for me or my wife, the pickled vegetables were way to HIT & SPICY for us, so glad the server offered street corn..

Server was kind and helpful. Food was good- a tad pricey. The wall next to the table we were sitting at was in need of cleaning, it had visible food stains. The home made ginger beverage was delicious!

We ordered chicken enchiladas and tacos. Black and refried beans. All very good. We sampled the different salsas. The mango one was my favorite. Nice clean bathrooms and restaurant overall. Friendly servers and fast service.

Breakfast restaurant
Kinfolk is a Southern-style breakfast pop-up located in the Pinch District at Comeback Coffee. Operating only on Saturday and Sunday mornings until September 2023, when it will transition to a full-time brick-and-mortar store in Harbor Town. The menu offers sophisticated takes on breakfast classics, with an emphasis on intentionality and attention to detail. The establishment has received praise for its flawless dining experience, friendly staff, and thoughtful contemporary ambiance that provides a high-class appeal while maintaining a hometown feel.
How in the world do you make a breakfast salad make sense?? Ask Kinfolk, because they have done it!! The Breaky Bowl is absolutely amazing! The dressing is great and compliments the eggs, hash browns and chicken to perfection! The biscuit breadcrumbs and fresh Parmesan provided the most elegant touch! Service was great and it’s always a good vibe here!!! The pecan sticky bun with cream cheese was amazing as well. The coffee is ok, but I will tolerate it because everything else was top notch!! What a great way to bring some excitement to breakfast /brunch selections!

This place is number 1 on my breakfast list! My waiter was amazing, she made sure I had everything I needed and checked on me regularly. The atmosphere was amazing and the food knocked my socks off! The chicken biscuit was so good! The flavors combined perfectly the way the cheese melted perfectly with the eggs and the chicken had some kind of flavor sauce to it that made me want to slap my knee. Very good spot come by and enjoy the atmosphere and food you won't be disappointed

This restaurant is tucked away in Harbor Town. The atmosphere was great. There’s street parking around the building so hopefully your parallel parking skills are up to speed. If not, there’s a parking area a short distance away. Now the food was delicious😩 The chicken biscuit with the egg and cheese is made with a tender chicken thigh that just breaks apart with every bite. Note, this chicken biscuit can actually feed 2 people easily😮‍💨. The sausage balls were great. They give you options of sausage gravy, jam, and honey mustard. The sausage gravy took them to the next level. Overall I would recommend this place over and over again. Great food and a relaxed atmosphere.

I enjoy trying new places to dine in Memphis! This is my first time here so I went with the recommended SAUSAGE BISCUIT with egg and cheese and their special sauce on the side. I also had a CEASAR SALAD with chicken. The biscuit was a little hard to me but if that’s what the standard is then it’s honestly okay. The salad was fresh and the type of chicken that was on it had a sweetness to it that I enjoyed! It’s nestled in a nice corner in Harbor Town and the service (and parking) worked out well!

An absolute delight! The staff is so kind and always on the move. The food is absolutely amazing! You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. I love how they highlight their sources for meats, coffee, etc on their menu. They’ve made such a special place on Mud Island and it’s a must eat for visitors and locals alike!

I LOVED the food!! It tasted amazing and so good the customer service was excellent!! The waitress was so friendly and sweet , the only thing is that the place is pretty small so it get quite packed and crowded and the since it is in downtown it is also pretty pricey but overall everything else was excellent!!
Katy — Google review
We hit this spot for Sunday brunch, and the vibe was casual, laid-back, yet totally charming. It was packed, with people waiting outside, but luckily, we had a reservation. We kicked things off with coffee and mimosas, then waited a bit too long for the food. But when it arrived, the chicken biscuit and chicken biscuit sandwich were absolutely worth it—so good! The breakfast burrito, though, was a bit underwhelming. I wasn’t too hungry, so I went for a griddle cake—kind of like a pancake but with more texture. Served with maple butter and syrup, it had just the right amount of sweetness, and I loved every bite!
Debisree R — Google review
If you are within a 5 hour drive of Memphis, get in your car and speed there! Kinfolk is insane. I live in Nashville and have been here more repeat times than anywhere in my town. They make their biscuits from scratch (you can buy them frozen for home). They are salty and buttery and so flavorful. They have nailed breakfast chicken and make a potato hash brown you can’t sleep on.

Update: This time I had the Monday special “Molly Dooker”. Amazing! My FAVORITE place to get a burger in Memphis! My usual order is the CLASSIC JACK. You literally don’t have to do anything to this burger when you order it. No extras, no changes. Just pick it up and eat it! I’ve been here on several occasions and I might venture out and order something different - maybe one of the daily specials. But maybe NOT lol! I love that classic burger, with the fries and JB SAUCE! Even the pickle spears are good! Heck, even the SPRITE is good! My mouth is watering just recounting my most recent visit there. Service is great, the folks are nice. The set up is your neighborhood bar. Love it there!

Burgers are tasty don’t get me wrong, but service is mids . If you want to order fries with your burger it’s $4 extra.. almost $5 for sweet potato. I sat at the bar for about 10-15 min before being asked what I’d like to order. Only about three other patrons were sitting at the bar and had already been served. In the end I paid $16 for a burger and a coke. Wouldn’t come back or recommend. Tops BBQ is better.

As advertised. It's all about the Burger. And it's very good. Not served with lettuce or tomatoes, read their write up because they are honest about who they are. Good fries, very tasty. We had cider as a beverage and was very good. We will be back. One star reviews are not warranted for this restaurant. Anything less than 4 stars needs to be taken with a grain of salt.

Love their loaded fries! Food is always good and staff is fast but polite!

Went to the location today order what I usually order Philly cheesesteak and fries combo. I always check my food before I leave anywhere checked my bag at the register fries was old I ask them politely can they exchange these fries they are old and the look like they gave me the scraps of the old fries. They was completely dismissive and rude. They stood there didn’t want to give me fresh fries when I seen them dropping fresh fries. And they told me the fries was fresh when you can clearly see the fries was old and they told me they wasn’t going to exchange them. I want go back here ever again. Worst experience ever and they are rude horrible customer service.

Man the lady at the register needs to work on her customer service! Baby all people of color are not the same! She must be the owner because she wanted me to pay for a refill just so I could get some ice in my cup that came with my combo! 2 napkins that got greasy at the bottom of my bag and a large fry in a large cup but the bottom of the cup had zero fries in it lol. I paid $17 for a large combo that was really a small but not no more! So who is really getting over? 🤔

DONT eat here they have ROACHES!!!!! I went to the mall today just to get a Philly sub, I started to place my order with the same Asian lady that's worked there for years. As I was placing my order a HUGE roach (not water bug) but ROACH came from behind the counter and the cashier tried to catch it but she missed and it fell on the floor almost hitting my foot. I jumped back in awe when I realized it was a ROACH and the lady looked me dead in my eyes and ask if I wanted everything on the sandwich that i was ordering as if it was normal🤮 I looked at her and said " you can keep it, all of it" I won't be eating there OR at any of the restaurants in the Wolfchase Mall Food Court because if one restaurant has ROACHES they ALL have them!!!!! It's a open buffet for the ROACHES. I'm going to leave this same review on channel 5 website in hopes that they do a food review because that was DISGUSTING and unacceptable!!! If I could give ZERO STAR I would. I took my money to Jersey Mikes and yes they were clean i was looking extra hard after what i had just saw in the mall.......SMH.....4.26.25
Tiaon S — Google review
Man this place is gross. Super hard, dry bread and they are so stingy with the meat and cheese and seasoning, lol. Even if you get the double meat subs there is still way more hard chewy bread than meat and cheese. The regular meat portion is just laughable. Fries are always cold and then if you get the loaded fries they dump cold sauce on them. While I was waiting for my food I heard someone complain and they told her no refunds or replacements. When I saw the pitiful little slivers of completely dried out meat being put on that huge bun I knew I made the wrong choice. The gyro place next door has way better cheesesteaks, just didnt want to wait in their long line.
C D — Google review
I went to steak escape inside the Wolfchase mall and got two regular chicken bacon club sandwiches. I was given hard old bread on both my sandwiches. After getting my food I went to a table sat down and opened both my sandwiches and discovered the old hard bread. I went back to the counter and spoke with the manager who was very dismissive and didn't even have the decency to look at the sandwich. He accused me of lying and stated I bought the food yesterday. The manager was very disrespectful and rude and I not once raised my voiced, used profanity, or said anything disrespectful to him. If I could give this no stars I would. They're very unprofessional.

Fine dining restaurant
Dory is a fine dining restaurant located in East Memphis, known for its innovative dishes made with locally sourced and seasonal ingredients. The restaurant features a state-of-the-art open-concept kitchen and is run by the couple David and Amanda Krog, who are committed to using what is in season from local farms and maintaining a 'zero waste' kitchen. Chef Dave Krog, with a rich culinary background, offers an ever-changing menu that has gained acclaim for its creative and artfully plated dishes.
This is literally the best restaurant I've ever been to anywhere. The flavor pairings are beyond incredible! I've been to Michelin Star restaurants that don't even come close to being as good as Dory. The experience here is beyond incredible. Randall is an exceptional server and the chef comes out to meet and greet and he is just wonderful to interact with and hear about his creativity. We have been here several times and it's always been fabulous! This is my favorite restaurant anywhere! Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone!

Service was very good, but waited quite a while for dishes to show up. The starters we ordered were oyster mushrooms and the squash. Both were excellent so that definitely gave me pretty high hopes for my main dish. I ordered the scallop and mussels citrus buerre blanc risotto, and while the scallops and mussels were cooked to perfection, the risotto was lacking in flavor. Pretty much tasted like plain wet rice…. the dish would’ve been better if the risotto was left out. For dessert we shared a cafe mocha. The cake and mousse was wonderful but the caramel popcorn on top tasted kind of stale.

Are you looking for a wonderful dining experience? Look no further. This place is excellent. From the atmosphere, to the food, to the wonderful team that takes care of you during your dining experience, Dory is a must-visit. The choices are brilliantly limited, giving us options on how many courses we would like to venture on depending on the day of the week. And oh what a wonderful adventure it is. We experienced a new menu that included the most decadent venison, scallops, fluke, beets, corn bread, and pasta. We also had a view of the kitchen and witness the craft that goes in to prepare these wonderful dishes. To top it all off, we were taken care of by a wonderful team who explained very well what went into each dish, as made excellent recommendations of drinks to pair them with. I do not have the skill to describe in words how wonderful the food is, or how their team makes sure you are enjoying the experience. My only advise is to not let the price stop you from trying. If you can afford it, this is truly a first-class culinary experience that enjoy without leaving Memphis. Trust them as your guides in this wonderful and surprising adventures.

I absolutely love this place. I went for my birthday dinner. I had the six course plus wine pairing. It was exceptional. Hands down the best meal/service I have ever had. EVER! I loved to intimate setting. The staff was incredible. The servers were knowledgeable and gave a detailed description of every course. I have never had a better dining experience. I would recommend Dory to any and every one.

The best meal I have had in Memphis. This dinner was a complete experience from start to finish. Each time I have eaten here I have had delicious fresh food and memorable night. I am a good cook so I don’t usually like things that I can cook at home. However, these dishes are like nothing I have ever made- or ever had anywhere else. Truly a gem in this city.
Ashley H — Google review
I really wanted to like this restaurant more than I did. Some of the best meals I've ever had were tasting menus at fine restaurants around the world. Unfortunately, my experience at "Dory" did not meet my expectations. The chef owner was very personable and welcoming and we appreciated meeting him. The staff was very professional. The building is clean and pretty, but felt more like a cafeteria decor than that of a fine dining restaurant -- there is no privacy between tables, which is important when everyone is getting the same food. There is no mystery or romance. The summer menu was rather disappointing. A few of the courses were very good, but most were unimaginative. The fish was dry and bland. The steak was chewy and unoriginal. My expectation for a tasting menu with small portions is that every bite should be exceptional. This was not. Maybe it's what the local market can accommodate? But I had higher expectations.
Rami D — Google review
I actually went there for my birthday recently. This is a place that serves up 5 to 6 courses with an intermezzo . Be prepared to stay for at least an hour and a half. Be sure to make reservations beforehand. The ambience of the place is pretty basic but nice and quaint. The walls were adorned with an eclectic array of musicians portraits. We showed up around 5:30. It was nice and quiet. Our server was on point and attentive. The courses we're seasonally random, and we could only omit food choices we did not want. They served an array of fresh vegetables. Our protein dishes dishes were duck, Cod, and Lamb. Most of the dishes had great presentations. However the depth of seasoning was somewhat bland. Seasoning was to be desired. Salt, pepper. herbs, spices, would have next leveled everything. It come off as a high end culinary restaurant. It is not fine dinning. I would consider it upscale casual. All in all, it was a decent experience and I would recommend you giveit a try. They have a decent wine selection. The open kitchen floor plan was a bonus. Oh yeah, It got a bit festive around 7 PM.

5-star service and an excellent food experience. Attentive, knowledgeable and friendly staff. We got to meet Chef Dave and our sommelier was excellent. The dishes were clean and fresh. Louis Connelly's Bar for Fun Times & Friendship is a newly opened bar that has taken over the former The Printer's Alley location. It maintains a dive bar ambiance but with an upgraded feel. The staff and owner are known for their warm and friendly nature, making patrons feel welcome. The food offerings have received positive feedback, particularly the Philly cheesesteak and killer nachos. The cocktail selection is impressive, with a notable amaro collection.
In town for work, first time here but definitely not my last. Great neighborhood bar —met several locals who lived nearby. Got there around 8pm on a Wednesday night and it wasn’t very busy. As the night went on, the place really started hopping and the vibe was welcoming and super fun! Didn’t get to try the food but the drinks I had were on point! They had a high end tequila I had never tried —bartender let me try a sample before ordering. He made me several DAMN GOOD margaritas with it and although the price was higher than what I would typically spend on a drink, it was well worth it. Can’t wait to go back next time I’m in Memphis.

The spot was cool overall—good vibes and solid music to chill with friends. But at the end of the night, the staff came off pretty rude. They were rushing people, telling folks to finish their drinks quickly and basically pushing us out the door. I get it’s closing time, but there’s a better way to handle that without killing the vibe.

This is one of my favorite places in the city. It’s a very high energy neighborhood bar. Perfect for a tourist, a bartender after work, and even your parents (before midnight lol)! I just want everyone to know their pickle to burger ratio is ON POINT! The smash burger slaps so hard and the wings hit every single time!! The staff are as cute as they are efficient, very well done.

The bartender, Bridget, is one of the worst bartenders we have ever experienced. A group of my friends and I walked in and sat down for ~maybe~ 4 mins. One of our friends stood at the bar for a little to order drinks but Bridget ignored her and went to the bathroom. The friend sat back down to wait until she got back. Bridget walked out the bathroom, banged on the table, screaming at us if we are going to sit down then we have to order. Remind you we have been in the bar for 7 minutes at this point. She then proceed to get into a yelling argument in front of the whole bar with the kitchen worker due to the way she talks to people. Loved the atmosphere and loved the other bartender but unexpectedly left after 1 drink because of Bridget.

Evergreen Grill has made a triumphant return, delighting diners with its comforting and delicious offerings. Currently serving dinner only, this Memphis gem is known for its mouthwatering dishes like the Honey Gold Chicken Sandwich and Evergreen fries that leave patrons craving more. Owner and chef David Todd has transformed the space formerly occupied by Cafe Society into a culinary haven where flavors shine bright. Regulars rave about favorites such as the Brussels sprouts and burgers, often leaving with leftovers due to generous portion sizes.
This place is a lunchtime staple of my week (at least once a week). They have a buffet style of many options as an affordable lunchtime price. All you can eat food and naan. My favorite is the lamb meatball curry. Staff is great, feels family owned family environment and they remember you. Downtown / near Downtown can’t live without this place. It’s always hard to find parking during lunchtimes.

I'm only giving this place three stars because the food was ok and not amazing. The brisket nachos were better than ok, however, the burger and brisket sandwich was alright. The service was superb and the atmosphere was laid-back and relaxing. The place was immaculately clean and smelled good. They had a very nice bar which, I imagine, is mostly why people visit. I enjoyed the overall experience.

We visited Evergreen Grill on Wednesday evening for the first time. It was amazing!!! The atmosphere is inviting, casual, and elegant. The fresh flowers on each table were a nice touch. It is so perfectly balanced that it can easily be a place for a romantic dinner with someone special or happy hour with friends or colleagues. The people were so friendly and seemed genuinely happy. Then there's the delicious food. It was an absolute delight finding a restaurant with creative vegetarian options made with real ingredients. We had the Crispy Cauliflower, Masala Fries, Mushroom Philly, and the Bread Pudding. I would recommend every one of those dishes, but that Bread Pudding may be one of the best desserts I've ever eaten, and I really love trying desserts. As we were leaving, the owner David came out and introduced himself. He was so fantastic to talk with. I love how passionate he is about food and his vision for the future of the restaurant. We look forward to being regulars there.

New restaurant in the space formerly occupied by Cafe Society. Very relaxed atmosphere with one of the most interesting menus in town. Being a Southerner, the Fried Okra Salad called out to me. We also tried the patty melt which was also tasty. Don't leave without trying the bread pudding. We will be back for more!

We found this hidden gem thanks to an instagram reel. We went today right as they opened and were pleasantly surprised with how good everything was. My husband ordered the Brisket Philly and said he easily gives it a 9/10, saying that most brisket is tough, while this was very tender, and the sauce they add to it was perfect. I ordered their Evergreen Burger. It’s very rare that I am overly happy and enjoy a burger from a sit down restaurant, but this was exceptionally delicious. We decided on Bread Pudding as well, because why not, and that was made so well. This was a great place to eat and worth the out of our way trip!

I've been coming here since they first opened, before they got the liquor license and everything we have had is amazing. I am surprised by some reviews I have seen where they say the food has no flavor. Maybe just not your cup of tea. The brussels spouts are a favorite, we get them every time we come in. Honey Gold Chicken is my favorite sandwich. My boyfriend generally always get the burger. The size and quality of the sandwiches you are getting your money's worth. I always have lunch for the next day. They just rolled out entrees on their menu which look amazing and been told they are revamping and updating the cocktail menu. They have a Whiskey Wednesday now with drink specials. Trivia on Thursdays but if not your thing can enjoy space in the bar area away from the trivia crowd. The weekly specials all look amazing. I tried the meatloaf when they had it, and I am hoping that makes a comeback soon! Folks who say there is no flavor, I don't get it. Everything we have had has been incredible.

Really yummy food and the service was great! We got the burger and honey gold sandwich with both types of fries.

Fun little neighborhood spot with a laid back vibe and great food. They were running a $3 off app special. Wings and brussel sprouts were delicious! We will be back.

Madison Tavern, formerly known as Local on the Square, has quickly become a beloved spot in town. With its new ownership—also linked to Local on Main Street—the tavern maintains its prime location while offering an inviting atmosphere. Visitors rave about the exceptional service and friendly staff, with bartenders like Kelly ensuring guests feel well taken care of. The vibe is relaxed, especially on the first floor, making it a perfect place to unwind after a long day or wait for late-night flights.
Amazing 👏 🙀 😯 love this space. Fantastic staff. Great 2 story. Great indoor space. Didn't notice if they had outdoor space. They also add 20% gratuity on the tab.. weird, but ok.

Overall, it was a pleasant experience. The food was good, typical of what you'd expect. We enjoyed the pretzels as an appetizer, they were soft and salty. I had the steak sandwich, which was good, but could have used some mayo or something on the side. I included the menu since what's online is for a different place all together. The menu here is limited, but they have hopes of expanding. The customer service was great, so I'd highly recommend giving them a try.

This is the first review I have ever left online. myself and another person ordered three drinks total at the bar and placed an order to go ( chicken club sandwich and fried chicken sandwich). Service was great. was I happy about a 20% gratuity charge on a Togo order? No. But, I was fine with it on the drinks I was served. however, the main reason for the review is the horrible chicken on the club I was served. It was the most rubbery chicken I have ever experienced and clearly pre cooked and heated back up considering you could see the grey streaks in it plus the “ new grill marks”. We paid 60 dollars for a meal we took home I couldn’t even eat. Will not be back.

Everything was really good ! The service was great and the food was good . Philly steak eggrolls had me almost biting my finger . If you haven't tried them yet. Give them a try !!

Amazing experience! Fastest food service I’ve ever received. I saw a review on TikTok and came to see of it was worth the hype! The server was so patient and accommodating. 10 out 10 on the salmon and jambalaya pasta.

Place is really cute. Food was good. However when a group of people went to the pool table located directly behind us, we almost got hit by the cue ball and by the pool sticks. When we complained to whom we assume is either the manager or the owner, we were told to go ahead and sue them if we got hit. The waitress went above and beyond to smooth out the issue and it is only because of her that I’m even going to give it one star. She is a 5 star employee, however the other man who was working is a zero star. Basically, if you go there do not sit near the pool table and definitely don’t complain to the man working there. And, if you do get hit, remember that the male staff member says it ok to sue the owner.

We came in town from Baltimore for a wedding for a family member and took him out to Madison Tavern after a long day of travel. Naturally, we got him totally trashed and had a hard time getting him out of the bar. Nico was awesome and helped us get the groom-to-be down to our car and made sure we got out safely. Kelly was a kick-ass bartender and made sure we were taken care of until we left. 10 out of 10 stars, these guys rock and are so polite. We will be back!!
Daniel W — Google review
My experience at Madison Tavern was incredibly disappointing. Our waitress had a nasty attitude from the moment we sat down, even though our table remained polite and respectful the entire time. Before we asked for the checks, we ordered another round of drinks that never came. No explanation, no follow-up, just ignored. When the checks arrived, one person in our party received two separate checks for the same order, which would have taxed her twice and applied gratuity twice. She simply asked for them to be combined, and the waitress acted like it was a huge inconvenience and clearly had an attitude about having to fix it. Then, when I calmly pointed out that an item on someone else’s check needed to be moved to mine, the waitress told me to "calm down" even though I was not rude or confrontational in any way. It was unprofessional, unnecessary, and honestly the worst service I’ve had in a long time. I won’t be back.
