Thank you for helping make my birthday celebration memorable Embers! The filet mignon was tender and full of flavor and the asparagus was perfect. Mom's salmon and Dad's steak was also fantastic! The outside patio area was beautiful at sunset too. Dessert & Moscato wine was added delicious-ness to such a great meal.

This place was one of the best steakhouses I’ve been to, and I’ve been to many different restaurants around the country. During my trip to Florida, I dined here twice and every waiter and server was so kind. The food was excellent as well. For the seafood, I tried the bass which might be the best fish I’ve ever had. The meat was so soft and cut so smoothly, eating it was a delight. The shrimp was delicious as well. For the steaks, the smoke grill adds a unique, rich flavor that makes this place stand out. When I come back to Florida next year, I’ll make sure to dine again!
Nicholas K — Google review
The service was incredible! We had Steve and he was really kind and helpful. Walked us through everything and quick to fix any problems we had. Steve also brought over a Somme to help select our desert wine course, I believe Jerry was his name, also really great and attentive. We would come back to sit with them any day. The wine selection is incredible here as well. Thanks so much for a great time Steve and Jerry! Before dinner we sat at the bar for a cocktail and the bartender there was really kind and helpful, honestly the whole place does service very well. We’re really grateful

My husband and I went to dinner for our anniversary. It was our first time here and we were impressed. Not only on the food, but the service was impeccable. Mariah was excellent, great server and so sweet and friendly. She told us that it’s family owned and has been in business for 16 years! We both had a ribeye and they were cooked perfectly! We will definitely be back.
Felita E — Google review
Great experience with delightful selections. Incredible flavors throughout the dining experience. Steak was phenomenal as well as the soup, the sides and the crab. Must try for any occasion in gainsville.
Kyle S — Google review
My boyfriend and I celebrated my birthday there and we had a wonderful time. I got the blackberry martini, an appetizer of their margherita flatbread, an entree of duck, and crème brûlée for desert. Everything was delicious. My partner got the stuffed chicken with the Mac and four cheeses. He got the chocolate torte for dessert. He said everything was perfect. Our server Eric (or Aaron; he only said it once) was very sweet and attentive. Overall we will definitely be returning!
Selby S — Google review
Outstanding place! The food was great, the coursing and service was very professional overall, and the ambience was very cozy for all kind of occasions, will definitely go back!
Lisette G — Google review
Nice dining experience, great drinks, and delicious food. They have an amazing burger, that they will serve actually medium. The whisky flight was fairly priced with great whiskeys. Embers attracts a more mature crowd so less students around than many other places most nights. We ate at the bar and it was a bit louder than I would have expected, but not uncomfortably loud.

Restaurant

It has garnered a loyal following due to its delectable cuts of meat, warm hospitality, and vibrant ambiance. This family-friendly restaurant offers great value for money and is an ideal spot to satisfy your steak cravings. Whether you're in the mood for their renowned fall-off-the-bone ribs or sizzling steaks, Texas Roadhouse promises a satisfying dining experience.
All of our food was perfect today. Good service too from our waitress, even the hostess that walked us to our table was super sweet. I should have taken a picture of the cactus blossom. It was fried so well, the breading wasn’t falling off like it sometimes does at other places. Even the sauce tasted fresh and delicious. Couldn’t ask for better. The rolls were massive and plentiful, as well.
Felecia R — Google review
Nico the bartender is great and Texas Roadhouse is always 10/10 regardless of city and state. Just one of the last chain restaurants that is always top notch. I usually get a sirloin steak with salad and mashed potatoes but today tried the burger for burger week and it was perfect.
Hatrick B — Google review
We visited today for lunch. We were immediately escorted to a table with no wait, but our hostess did not get us any rolls. The waiter came quickly to take our drink order and appetizer order. I couldn't tell you his name, he did not provide it to us. When he returned with the drinks, we asked about the rolls, and he didn't realize we didn't get any so he made that right. He finally made his way back around to take our order. I ordered a steak and my husband had a burger. Our food finally came out after a pretty lengthy wait (they were busy, we understand), but my steak was cold, completely overdone and had absolutely no flavoring. It was the worst steak I've ever had. Our waiter took it back and had them make a new one. My sweet potato and vegetables were good. My husband ate his burger, he asked for medium and it was medium well. As he got to the end of his burger, there was cooked paper in it (probably from the cheese?). See the photo. They brought me a new steak out as he was finishing and it was much, much better. It was hot, cooked perfectly, and had much better flavor. This is our second visit in two years where our food has not been cooked right the first time, so I don't think we will come back.
Luna — Google review
The best service I have ever had. Veteran employee Tim. He was amazing even helped me order the burger for my dad so it wouldn’t be tough by the time I got it home. Really cool dude!! Would have given him 10 stars if I could. Thank you for your service to our country ♥️🤍💙🇺🇸
Mandie C — Google review
Our server was great. Funny and did super well with the orders and drinks. However it seems like the kitchen is short staffed. The food was great but waiting an 1½ hrs is to long. We were also not allowed to sit down and order our drinks as host told us the manager would "yell" at her if she sat us down even though the last party member was only 5 min out. Please hire more kitchen staff or schedule more kitchen staff. Your servers and hosts are great though.
Blazorro — Google review
Great visit for Mother’s Day , lunch , they very prepared with a full staff and greeted the moms with flowers. Food was and service were the best Ive had here in a while . Great job today and great marketing !!!
Ronnie P — Google review
We got there and ordered our food got the appetizer and a beer had to inform the server that we didn't order two sodas just one and we had to ask for butter more then once she just keep forgetting it I guess. Then everyone around use got there food and we still didn't have any of our food yet. We told the waitress we wanted to cancel our order and pay for what we did get. She showed up and said the manager was going to talk to use. He said the waitress said we cursed at her that was a lie and informed the manager of that. He said I cursed at her I said she is a liar and cursed at him for telling me what I did. If you say I did something I will do it if you really want. This was my wife's 55 birthday also. I have never had worse service then at the Texas road house is celebration point. They wonder why all the stuff there sucks it's because of places like this. This was her favorite restaurant before this incident. I didn't really care for this restaurant but now I hope they get replaced by a McDonald's.
Justin G — Google review
Service was crappy, server didn't feel like she wanted to be there kept making faces at any request. The restrooms were filthy yet plenty of staff joking around with one another. The food was not great. Do not recommend.

Nestled in Celebration Pointe, Prime & Pearl is a top-notch steakhouse that takes the art of steak preparation to new heights. The restaurant also prides itself on offering the finest oyster selection in town. With its innovative and elevated approach to dining, Prime & Pearl aims to deliver a unique culinary experience that explores the relationship between land and sea.
Prime and pearl is the perfect place for a celebratory dinner in GNV! The food is delicious and the servers are always so kind. We had initially asked about the amount of lobster claws that would come as an add on to our steak as a few of us were sharing. The waitress said it was usually between 2-4, but ended up accommodating our large party and gave 6! I would also recommend the oysters and bone-in ribeye!
Ashna P — Google review
We went to Pearl and Prime for our 2nd wedding anniversary, and since it was our first one together, it felt really special. The fine dining ambience was excellent – elegant and cozy, perfect for the occasion. The food was delicious, and the portion sizes were generous. Truly enjoyed the experience and would definitely recommend it for special celebrations.
Pawan S — Google review
Our family of 3 had a wonderful dinner. We started with a half dozen each of raw oysters, fire roasted oysters and Diablo oysters, all of which were fresh and absolutely delicious. For the entrees my husband went with the wild gulf blacked redfish topped with a crab beurre blanche sauce, our daughter enjoyed the chicken carbonara and I had a perfectly seared 16 oz ribeye cooked to perfection. We managed to save room for dessert this visit so we each tried something different. For me I couldn't resist the red velvet cheesecake, my husband had the largest slice of the most delicious lemon cake and our daughter is a creature of habit so she had to get the creme brulee. I highly recommend trying prime and pearl if you've never been here. Not only is the food absolutely delicious, the atmosphere and service is excellent as well.
LaKrishna C — Google review
We went here today for our anniversary. They seated us in the "private" dining room. There was a table with 5 older people and they were so loud we couldn't even talk to each other. This room is extremely LOUD. We started with the smoked pork belly, and this was actually really good. I ordered the salmon, and this was cooked perfectly. The picture of my wine was $18.00 our waitress recommended it, if I could have heard her I would have noticed the $..My husband ordered the Ribeye, and the bottom of his steak was extremely charred, burnt and bitter. They remade his steak, and he ordered it medium, and it came out black and blue rare. At that point, we were done with the steak. They did removed the steak off our bill. We ended up getting a carrot cake to go. Our waitress was very kind and helped us as much as she could.
Kelly M — Google review
This place was phenomenal. We didn’t have a reservation. However, the host made sure to see what she could do. Immediately, the manager found us a table. He asked if we were celebrating a special occasion, we were and told him it was our anniversary. He immediately said congrats and brought a hand written card and complimentary Champagne. Not only did the manager serve us, they had an assistant server that was always refilling the drinks. The waitress, Alexis was the best. She made the night. She was warm, informative and very friendly. Thank you for making our 27th anniversary great! Blessings, Ted Frazier 7:11/98-7/11/2025

This was hands down one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. From the food to the staff to the service, everything was top tier. I would give this restaurant 6 stars if I could. The oysters were extremely fresh and delicious, steak was cooked perfectly, and the redfish was so flavorful. The managers Brian and Abbey were both so attentive and caring. Our server Steph was excellent as well and took care of every need. Prime and Pearl- you’ve done a superb job, we will absolutely be returning!
Corinne G — Google review
The atmosphere here is great, staff and patrons are cordial and fun. The food was good. And Kelly the bartender was kind and pleasant. I’d come back for their ribeyes again.
Humberto M — Google review
Our server was fantastic! I wish I remembered his name! We came here for the first time for my husband's birthday last week. Everything we ate was delicious and perfectly cooked. I would definitely recommend Prime & Pearl for anyone wanting an upscale meal for a special celebration!

Dragonfly Sushi & Sake Company is a contemporary izakaya that offers tapas-style Japanese pub fare and a wide assortment of sake. Located in downtown with indoor and outdoor seating, it's an ideal spot for a date night or casual dining. The menu features dishes designed to be shared, similar to tapas, showcasing fish flown in from Japan and fresh produce. The restaurant combines traditional Japanese flavors with creative presentations, providing a memorable dining experience.
my boyfriend and i came here for the first time for valentine’s day and had an amazing time!!!!! our server Steven was so kind and explained the menu to us very thoroughly, he checked on us multiple times and gave us little candies :) the food blew us away (if you come here you absolutely have to get the short ribs)!! it’s a little pricey compared to other restaurants here but priced appropriately for the quality of the dishes i think! i also got the supreme kiku cocktail, i drink very rarely but i loved it! the atmosphere is really nice too, very cozy. we’re definitely going to come back!!

Didn’t realize there was such great sushi in Gainesville! This was absolutely delicious, especially the crispy rice maki roll with spicy tuna on top. Also the specialty roll with sliced mandarin oranges on top was amazing! Great recommendation from our waiter. Had a wonderful time at this lovely place. Absolutely highly recommend. Don’t miss it.
Ap V — Google review
We visited Dragonfly Sushi during FEST and despite the restaurant being absolutely packed we were very impressed by the experience. Nestled in the heart of downtown Gainesville, this place has clearly earned its reputation among the competitive restaurant scene. We snagged seats at the bar, and even with the chaos of a busy music festival weekend the service was impressively fast and efficient. The staff never seemed flustered, and our orders came out quickly without sacrificing quality. The food itself exceeded all expectations. The sushi rolls were beautifully presented with fresh, high-quality ingredients, and the gyoza were perfectly crispy with a flavorful filling. What really impressed us was that the kitchen maintained such excellent standards despite the restaurant being slammed. Too often, busy nights mean compromised quality, but Dragonfly proved they can handle the pressure. If they can deliver this level of food and service during one of the busiest weekends in Gainesville, they’ve more than earned their spot as a downtown favorite.
Matt B — Google review
This place was a great place for a date. Our server autumn was very attentive and the food came out hot and fresh, even with a full restaurant. The drinks were well made and they had a bunch of delicious and interesting sushi combinations. We will definitely be visiting here again.

Food was fabulous! Loved the pork dumplings! We had so many sushi rolls all delicious. Ramen short rib bowl huge in flavor and size. Waiter was perfect.
Jeanne D — Google review
Wait was under 45 minutes on a Friday during peak hours because it was only 2 of us so we sat at the sushi bar. Our server was awesome; made great recommendations given the menu was outside of our familiarity but we wanted to be adventurous. Absolutely loved gangster & the geisha cocktail!
Marilé Q — Google review
Great place with high quality food , sushi, rolls and veggie dishes and nice atmosphere , a bit of a wait cuz it’s popular and it’s 100% worth it !!!
Mike D — Google review
Dragonfly Sushi and Sake Company is one of the best dining spots in downtown Gainesville. The restaurant has a lively atmosphere with both indoor and outdoor seating options, making it a great place to visit whether you are out for a casual dinner or a special night with friends. The menu offers an impressive variety of appetizers, sushi rolls, and main dishes, all beautifully prepared and full of flavor. The miso cod is a standout dish with a perfectly tender texture and a rich, savory glaze that makes it unforgettable. Another favorite is the Black and Bleu roll, which combines fresh ingredients and bold flavors in a way that keeps you coming back for more. The bar also deserves mention, offering a creative drink menu with fun cocktails and an extensive sake list. It is the kind of place where you can start the evening with a drink and end up staying for dinner without even realizing how much time has passed. Dragonfly can get busy on weekends, and the bar area tends to fill up quickly, but the energy and buzz of the crowd are part of its charm. Despite the occasional wait, the service remains friendly and attentive, and the quality of the food makes it well worth it. Overall, Dragonfly Sushi and Sake Company is a fantastic choice for anyone looking for fresh, inventive Japanese cuisine in a vibrant downtown setting.

Miller's Ale House is a casual sports-pub chain that offers a wide range of food and drink options in a relaxed setting. The menu includes bar snacks, steaks, sandwiches, pasta dishes, salads, seafood platters, and baby back ribs. It's a popular spot for locals and families looking for good food and cold beer while enjoying the game on one of the 60 televisions throughout the venue.
I took my mother here while visiting her in Gainesville. She was hungry for a Steak and this place came up in our search. We decided to give them a try and it was the best decision we made. She had the Prime Rib Steak and said it was one of the best steaks She's had in a long time. She's 94 years old and usually don't like anything 😀 this was a huge win!👌 I had the Buffalo Shrimp and a Ceasar Salad. The Buffalo Shrimp were delicious and had the perfect heat. We had the Prickly Pear Margaritas and a Arnold Palmer which both were very refreshing. Our server Noah was very nice, patient and attentive. He provided excellent service. Overall, we had an excellent dining experience and will definitely be back.

We had a great meal with good service by Haley. The shrimp dish was excellent. The atmosphere was sporty and we could watch Sunday Night Football. The option to purchase a bottle of wine was convenient.

W h a u w. Incredible location with booth possibilities and a bar outside ! Love it ! Very friendly young waitress with an eye for details. Pear martini njammie ! The prime burger OMG so good prepared 😍 My steamed potstickies were good enough for a double portion 😆 we shared the strawberry cheese cake. Next year the reason for coming back !
Jurgen V — Google review
The food was solid, service was great and vibes were chill, it's exactly what you'd want at a Miller's.
Aryam — Google review
Garlic dipping sauce for the zingers was not what I was expecting, (it has an odd texture), and I had ordered an extra sause, side of broccoli, and ranch and Bleu cheese, none of which was included in my order. That's kind of a lot to miss, if someone was trying to do their job. But the ribs were the best I've had in a very long time.. excellent job to the chef. but .. you can just fire everyone else.

Our waitress was so sweet and on the ball with refills. She was constantly updating us about our order since the restaurant was packed. The food was very good and they have a good variety. We sat outside as the temperature was perfect.

Benny enjoying Miller's Ales house for 20+ years. Happy to have one now in Gainesville when I visit my son while he is on school. HALEY was great, attentive & sweet. Food great as usual.
Yuley G — Google review
Very disappointing at best! First, nearly every dish they brought to us had food caked on it. Second, my Caesar salad was very small and had barely any dressing. It also contained bits of rotted lettuce. Third, my husband's wings showed they were freezer burned and he just left them on the plate disgusted. His fries tasted awful like they were old. Because of this, we won't be back. The good part of our visit was the waiter. He was kind, social, and attentive. We didn't have the heart to tell the waiter about the food. Overall, the meal wasn't worth the $72.

Family atmosphere. Service was good and didn't take too long. Food was delicious and portions were good.. just didnt care for the collards. Had the grouper stuffed with crab and the blackened grouper. The fish was good, not over cooked. First time here and will certainly come back.

Pricey but gets a decent amount. I don't know if it's because they were busy it only saw the waitress three times. Parking was tight and busy. It was only 6pm. Food was good. Mostly fried food. Batter isn't greasy. Will probably come again.
Brooke H — Google review
Main my wife's birthday dinner very nice. Waiter was very accommodating and attentive. Couldn't have asked for better. Food was overwhelming. Large portions, fair prices, and the flavors were excellent. Only thing missing as far as service went was no manager visit to the table to give it that personal touch. Decor was something that could use an update, but not objectionable.
Mike M — Google review
We ate lunch there. I got the Cod and my wife got the crab soup or something. Our food was pretty good. The service was excellent. Why not 5 stars? It was because the food was good. It wasn't great. It left a long aftertaste for some reason.
Kerry W — Google review
We were seated right away. Very pleasant staff. Delicious food and attentive waitress. My husband had blackened trout,it was delicious. I had snow crab legs very good! And my sister had the stuffed shrimp. The only thing I didn't like was the sautéed spinach, a bit too garlic for me. Reasonable priced and the have a military discount.

Steak house
Mark's Prime Steakhouse, established in 2002, is an elegant steakhouse that has set the standard for upscale dining in Gainesville's downtown area. The restaurant features white-cloth covered tables and a dark wood interior, creating a sophisticated ambiance for patrons to enjoy high-quality food and service. Menu favorites include crab bisque and a succulent Delmonico ribeye.
Delicious surf and turf. Red pepper risotto was excellent. Sourdough bread awesome. Trio dessert plate amazing. Very nice.

TL;DR: There are other good steakhouses in Gainesville go there instead. My wife and I went here for the first time on our ten year anniversary, hoping to have a special night. We've been to all the other steakhouses in town and were looking forward to try this one. The reservation process was easy and straightforward and we had no problem getting seated. That's about where the good time ended. The waiter was very inattentive and didn't even ask us it was our first time or if we were celebrating anything special. Meanwhile, for comparison, we went to Ember's down the street a few months before and they asked if we were celebrating anything, we told them a promotion, and they brought us free dessert and brandy. I'm not looking for free things and I don't need a stranger to celebrate my anniversary, but when these expensive places are supposed to focus on customer experience, it's disappointing that our waiter didn't care at all. Looking past that, we ordered cocktails. They took forever to come out, pretty much right before our meal. I wanted to like mine but it was 90% chipped ice. I ordered an old fashioned. That's not the kind of ice you put in there. It almost immediately became mostly water. If you're spending $15+ on a cocktail, you don't want water. The bread was fine. It's sourdough. If you don't like that kind of bread, skip it. Finally the meal. The fish we got was somehow the best part, at the steakhouse. The potatoes were good too but that's where things end. The steak had no char or crust. I got the New York Strip and it was mostly gristle. I also don't think they seasoned it. The Brussels sprouts were supposed to be roasted with bacon and they honestly tasted like they were pre-frozen and boiled. By the time we were done, we were asked if we wanted dessert but we just wanted to get out of there. It took forever for the waiter to bring us our check and we ended up spending the second most we've ever spent at a steakhouse in Gainesville while getting almost the same exact things that we usually do. I sincerely mean this, you could have a MUCH better meal and experience at Texas Roadhouse for half the price. Obviously go to one of the other fancy steakhouses first but I'm just saying, TR would have been way better. If I'm going to spend the money, I'm going to one of the other great places in town. I'm skipping this place every time.

Celebrating our 30th anniversary here this evening. We’ve been here for eleven anniversaries in the past fifteen years. We drive 40 miles to dine here at a true steakhouse. To simplify why we are repeat guests for an important celebration nearly every year it’s easy: consistent quality food prepared perfectly and professional friendly servers. What’s a great ending to a memorable meal ? Dessert!

Excellent dishes with outstanding flavors. Steak cooked to perfection. Side dishes were excellent. Great service, would recommend.

This is not a fancy restaurant, it's an over-priced restaurant. While the lamb was plated very nice, it was tough and didn't taste right. They replaced it with the filet minion. It had good flavor, however it had that slightly gritty texture like it was re-frozen. Just sad when you are paying over $50 just for the meat. The state of the men's room was just appalling for a "nice restaurant." Details matter at this price point.

I got to Mark's late in the evening (about an hour before closing) but I was treated like it was prime time. I sat at the bar and had the Petite Filet with grilled shrimp and it was perfectly cooked. Leah's service was fantastic, attentive and engaging but not intrusive. ❤️ This was my first meal there but I will be back.

Located downtown. I visited here on a Saturday night, I would recommend to have a reservation as it was quite busy. Upon arrival I was promptly seated at our table. Our waiter was great, paid attention to details and recommended a few options. Mark’s has a great selection of wines. For dinner, we order steak and some sides. Unfortunately they were sold out of their chef meat special this evening. I would recommend the Delmonico cut, twice baked potato, and the risotto. The risotto changes daily as it’s a chef special of the day. Lastly, we had to wait over an hour for our entrees to arrive, the manager did come over and apology for the wait time. Thankfully shortly after that, the food was brought to the table.

This place was wonderful. It’s located conveniently in Midtown Gainesville. That always confuses me because I always think downtown is midtown but midtown is downtown. But I digress. The food was absolutely wonderful and the ambiance was amazing. The food was phenomenal and the steak was cooked to perfection. They had a wonderful selection of wines. And the sides were great too. We went for my fiancés birthday and made a great choice to celebrate tie occasion. We will certainly be back

With its rustic ranch-style ambiance, it has become well-known for its expertly cooked steaks. Located in Gainesville, Florida, LongHorn Steakhouse offers a wide variety of mouthwatering dishes. Customers have praised the excellent food and attentive service provided by the friendly staff. Even when there are minor issues like an overcooked steak, the dedicated servers promptly address them to ensure customer satisfaction.
Absolutely delicious! I got the 12oz NY strip steak, medium rare of course, with a baked sweet potato with cinnamon and brown sugar, and the rice pilaf. Everything was cooked to perfection. The steak was especially perfect. Service was amazing. Our server Hannah was friendly, attentive, and completed the experience.

I enjoyed Longhorn. The ribeye steak was tasty and cooked perfectl medium. I liked the fresh free bread and butter. My house salad was better than usual with good size and selection of veggies and croutons. Prices where on scale of other steak houses.

My girlfriend and I went here for my birthday and had a great dinner and great time. There was no wait, we were seated as soon as we arrived and didn't wait for service. We ordered French onion soup and it came out pretty quickly and it was perfectly done and absolutely delicious. She ordered the the 8 oz. sirloin steak with a loaded baked potato and asparagus, all of which was perfectly done as well. I ordered the 6 oz. sirloin with shrimp, loaded baked potato and Mac and cheese, all of the food was excellent and I have no complaints whatsoever. Great job longhorn and I will definitely be returning here when I am ready for another perfect steak dinner.
Kangol R — Google review
I ordered the 9oz filet, medium, and my steak (pictured) came out rare. My father ordered the 9oz filet, well-done, and his steak came out medium. The flavors were good, but the cook times were noticeably off. The manager offered a 25% discount, which we appreciated, but consistency in preparation needs improvement.
Doruk T — Google review
We had a great dinner at Longhorn! The food was delicious, and we love that the warm bread is included with your meal—it’s such a nice touch. We highly recommend the shrimp appetizer; it was packed with flavor. Our waitress was really attentive, and the whole restaurant was very clean and comfortable. The only miss was the Parmesan-crusted chicken—our daughter says it was just okay, so maybe skip that one. Overall, a great experience!
Kissa D — Google review
The greeting team and table server were phenomenal!!! I eat at Longhorns restaurants several times a year at multiple locations. Overall, I enjoy the food. However, on 2 separate occasions the Gainesville Florida Butler Plaza location has served a T-bone instead of the porterhouse steak that was ordered.
Wendy R — Google review
What started as bad became a WIN from the Longhorn’s team. We arrived, with no wait, seated immediately - and were promptly forgotten. After over 10 mins, and almost leaving-the staff went out of their way to make up for the lost time. Our server turned out to be a great guy, and the food was great as always. The kindness they showed turned the experience around 100%. Since this a special occasion for us- I was glad we stayed.
Jonathan S — Google review
Had the absolute best service during this visit. My steak originally came out not as expected and the manager was so understanding and accommodating to make sure I received the corrected order. Our waitress Nina was fantastic some of the best service we’ve received. We are regulars here, it always exceeds expectations and this is why it’s our favorite place for dinner. We will continue to come back time after time!

Restaurant
Spurrier's Gridiron Grille offers a delectable array of desserts, including favorites like crème brûlée, lemon tart, cheesecake with berries compote, and white chocolate bourbon bread pudding. The restaurant exudes a winning atmosphere that pays homage to classic American flavors sourced from local farmers. Named after the famous University of Florida football player Steve Spurrier, the restaurant is a must-visit in Gainesville.
I had seen this restaurant on YouTube, checked Google reviews, and it looked really good to me. Although I am not a huge sports fan, I, my girlfriend, and the group that I was with, absolutely loved it. We were there on a Sunday afternoon for the brunch buffet, and we were blown away at the selection of food available. We were also in amazement at all the wonderful presentations and display cases of awards given to Steve Spurrier. The restaurant is spacious, clean, well decorated, and there’s more than adequate spacing between all of the tables, making it easy to move around. The buffet had fried chicken and waffles, outstanding custom omelettes which were cooked to perfection, Wagyu beef sliders, huge bacon strips, sausages, cornbread casserole, and various small desserts. Darius, our server, was lots of fun, extremely professional, and very attentive. In my opinion, it’s well worth the $35 per person for this outstanding brunch buffet.
Mike S — Google review
The service here is very good. But the atmosphere is not what I was expecting compared to say, Marks or Embers. This feels like fine dining on a cruise ship. But I understand why they would want to market to that demographic given the name. Food menu felt limited. Desserts were good.
Kyle D — Google review
I really enjoyed the atmosphere. Their drinks are great and the food is pretty good too. We had drinks at the bar while we were waiting for our table. Dinner for 4, with starters, entree, and dessert. It was a little expensive but I recommend it.
Aline M — Google review
My Fiancé and I are still reminiscing on our beautiful engagement party that was hosted by Spurrier’s in early May. We chose to rent out the Visor’s rooftop space for our party of about 60 people and it was perfect. Not only was the whole Spurrier’s event planning team easy to work with, but they ensured every detail turned out perfectly. Specifically, Marianne helped us during the whole planning and execution process and was an absolute dream to work with. The whole entire planning process was smooth and stress free. On the day of the event, everything was outstanding and the attention to detail from all staff members was phenomenal. All of our guests still rave about the delicious food and beverages. While my Fiancé and I have eaten at Spurrier’s many times before, this was our first event we have hosted there. With that in mind, I guarantee it will not be our last! We highly recommend Spurriers for hosting special moments and events!

This was my first time visiting. I have nothing to complain about. Atmosphere gave luxury, The staff were amazing, food was phenomenal and the drinks top tier!!! I would recommend 1000/100. Will definitely be back!
Jay V — Google review
Was in town for the home opener and decided to have my pregame meal at Spurrier’s. It exceeded my expectations since I was expecting bar food. Wings were cooked to perfection and came out steaming hot. I got the macadamia encrusted mahi and again cooked to perfection and piping hot! Cookies were baked fresh and to die for. Will be coming back this Saturday before going to the swamp. The memorabilia is a bonus! Go Gators! 🐊
Cam M — Google review
The service here was truly top-notch and The ambiance was perfect, creating a very pleasant atmosphere. However, my burger was a bit too well-done for my liking, unfortunately. Despite that one small issue, I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone!
Alexander A — Google review
I came here after a friend recommended the restaurant and it did not disappoint. From the moment you go in, the staff is very nice and helpful. The server provided some suggestions and she did not steer me wrong with them. To drink I tried the Lychee Martini and it was delicious. I was surprised with the boba on the bottom of the glass. As an appetizer, I tried the salt and pepper calamari. The plate was big and the calamari were crispy. As an entree, I had the short rib and wild mushroom risotto and it was so tasty. The short rib meat melts in your mouth. Throughout my time there, the staff was very attentive at picking up the dirty plates and refilling our water cups. The restaurant was large but still welcoming. I would definitely return.

Not sure how this place only has 4 stars, it gets 5 from me! We sat at the bar & Liam was very attentive, knowledgeable, & personable. All of us got medium rare steaks & they were beautifully medium rare. The BBQ shrimp was delicious & so were the sides we got. Also, I had the best espresso martini I’ve ever had (pictured) Will definitely be coming back when I’m wanting to go to a nice steakhouse

It’s the No Name Lounge for the amazing Miami Dolphins 🐬 defense in the 70’s. Outside of Shula’s, First team staff! They are the Best at what they do. Very impressive. The food is outstanding and prices are very reasonable. I enjoyed the blackened mahi with a side salad the was fresh and crisp. Seasoning was on point. Great drinks for happy hour. Burger is massive. Very tasty. Enjoy. 😊

Where to begin? This was easily one of the best meals of my days. I had the best server ever. Her name was Rachel and I have decided that she is a saint. Today is my birthday and I had the best meal and service. Thank you so much Shula’s Steak House! P.s. thank you so much Rachel!

Rachel was an amazing server. She described the steak temperatures perfectly and I got a medium filet. Please give her a raise or management position. She’s making it far in life!

We had an exceptional dining experience at Shula’s, thanks to our incredible server, Kevin. From the moment we sat down, Kevin made us feel welcome and well taken care of. He was attentive without being intrusive, incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, and had spot-on recommendations that elevated our meal. Kevin’s professionalism, warm personality, and attention to detail truly stood out. Every course arrived perfectly timed, and he ensured our drinks were always full and our needs met before we even had to ask. It’s clear that Kevin takes pride in his work, and it made our evening that much more enjoyable. If you're dining at Shula’s, ask for Kevin—you won't be disappointed!

The atmosphere was quaint and welcoming- love the huge chairs and the velvet booths… although the food was exceptional- Kevin was clearly the best leader of our dining experience. Ask for him and your dining experience will just be enhanced! Thank you Kevin and the chef for making this a special 7th year anniversary for us! We will see you again, go gators!

We took our son for his 18th birthday. Food was phenomenal. We had steaks, chicken and salmon and it could not have been better. The service was outstanding. They went out of their way to make it special. The chef had a special off the menu appetizer brought out for us to try and came out to meet us.. We had a memorable experience. There was not as much Coach Shula and Dolphin memorabilia as Miami Gardens but the coach would been proud of his Gainesville team.
McDaniel M — Google review
My husband and I went to Shula's tonight. We try to go every few months. The food the last few times has been excellent, we usually have a filet which tonight was like butter. They have a wedge salad that is truly unique it has tomatoe jam, candied bacon, blue cheese crumbles and blue cheese dressing. We also had the mushrooms as a side and cheesecake for dessert. If you haven't been to Shula's lately you should check it out. The staff are always friendly and go the extra mile to make sure you are appreciated as a customer. We usually make a reservation which is easy to do in open table.
