The restaurant's airy blue and white space, along with outdoor seating, provides a charming ambiance for patrons. Additionally, the establishment is conveniently located at the Crystalbrook Superyacht Marina waterfront, offering picturesque views of luxury yachts and tropical palm trees. Salsa is exceptional! We had a group of 22 for a wedding dinner and the whole evening was fantastic. Meeting Paul confirmed our decision to have our wedding dinner there, coordinating with Rhys was relaxed and easy, Adrian looked after us all on the night and was brilliant! The food was not only outstanding but plentiful and our group loved the cocktails, attentiveness of refilling drinks and ensuring everyone happy with their meals. The dessert platters were a resounding hit and everyone is still talking about their experience at Salsa! Thankyou for making our special day extra special!!

Salsa comes through yet again! We have been dining at Salsa almost every year since 2011 and no other restaurant compares. Service - excellent. They are not only efficient and attentive but funny as well. Food - unbelievably good. Thank you again for a great meal!

Would have to be one of my favourite places I dined in Port Douglas. The food was exceptionally delicious. The king fish was absolutely beautiful. And the eye filled hands down, the best eye fillet I’ve ever had as far as flavour in the meal as a whole. 100% recommend Salsa for lunch or dinner and bookings is a must so your not left disappointed
Abby C — Google review
When researching places to eat in PD, this place was recommended. So glad we tried here. We dined here for lunch, and can see why this place is so highly rated. The restaurant was packed and managed to get a spot along the front with a nice view. The calamari was delicious and the glazed pork belly was amazing with so much flavour. Would highly recommend here and will definitely visit again if visiting.
Kate — Google review
Great restaurant. I went with my partner and didn’t book in advance, but we were lucky enough to secure a spot. The service was great and the food was very good too. We got a chance to taste some local fish.
Margot E — Google review
Call in for a beer and entrees but stayed for a full meal. The calamari was highly recommended, it was good but the mains were great. Realy good service from the moment we walked in till we left. Thanks to the team as they really made a difference.
Warick B — Google review
Love the food at Salsa, the pasta tasted incredible beautifully seasoned with fresh seafood! The cocktails were fruity and tropical just what you need! Highly recommend.

The best prawn linguine by a country mile. The sauce actually tasted like seafood not just a red sauce. Generous serving of prawns cooked perfectly!!! Well worth going out of your way! Service was great and the atmosphere was perfect. Scallops were also cooked to perfection.

Dinner here was exquisite! Absolutely delicious, staff and service were wonderful, and atmosphere was great. Our daughter loves her spaghetti, and says the one here was the best!

Accommodating staff when you're looking for a little snack later at night. Fantastic food. Looking forward to having a full sit down meal which I've heard is superb. I love the toilet aquarium. Will be back. Thank you for your hospitality. 👌

Food was exceptional! The prawn linguine and lamb ragu papadelle were so delicious. The portion sizes are great - we left full and satisfied. This restaurant is a must try if you’re in Port Douglas

Wow, what a wonderful meal!! The waitresses were just delightful and gave the full 5 star service. I had the rib eye fillet and it was absolutely amazing. I mentioned it was my birthday and they brought out a beautiful little dessert, on the house…unfortunately it wasn’t gluten free (I am coeliac) so they gave that one to my partner and made me a whole new one, candle and everything! Highly recommend!!
Anna — Google review
Great restaurant with a vibrant atmosphere, which offers great food and great service. The menu offers a wide variety of dishes that appeal to all tastes, among which were the spinach risotto, barramundi and the pork loin. The restaurant also offers a good dessert menu, from which I would recommend the Godfather 5. A big thanks to all the staff at Zinc for making my birthday dinner an enjoyable one!

Such an amazing dining experience at Zinc. Our server was so lovely, the atmosphere was gorgeous and the food was incredible. The eye fillet was the stand out for us. Highly recommend!

Great food and ambience. Service was attentive and accommodating to various dietary requirements. Vegan options of Godfather dessert, gnocchi, cauliflower main, and watermelon starter are pictured.

Italian restaurant
Cocktail bar
La Cucina + Bar is a stylish cocktail bar and restaurant in Port Douglas, offering a taste of the Italian lifestyle with its outdoor seating. Under new ownership, this establishment serves up a delightful array of Italian dishes, from Naples-style pizza to seafood entrees featuring local ingredients. The menu boasts traditional favorites like spaghetti con le vongole and seafood linguine, complemented by an impressive selection of Italian wines.
We enjoyed a delicious dinner here. Food and service were great. We just wished we could have been offered the wine list again.
Angela M — Google review
I ordered a pizza from this Italian restaurant tonight. When I first opened the box, it smelled great — but things quickly went downhill. The pizza was soggy, which was already disappointing. But as I took my first bite, I felt a sharp crunch. I thought maybe it was an olive seed. Took a second bite and felt another sharp crunch — this time it cut my gum, and I realised there were pieces of broken glass in the pizza. I stopped eating immediately and approached the manager. I explained what happened, and instead of showing any concern, he coldly replied, "We don't put broken glass in our pizza." There was no apology, no empathy, and not even an offer to remake it. At that point, I was angry and just asked for a refund — which I got — but honestly, I’m still shaken. Key takeaway: Please double or even triple check your food before eating from this restaurant. What happened to me was serious and could have caused even more harm. I won’t be returning, and I hope this serves as a warning to others.

This place is a must for us when we come to port Douglas. We love coming here it’s our absolute favourite vibe. The food is absolutely amazing every time , the staff are so attentive and knowledgeable on the dishes and products. The cocktails are amazing. It’s just a sweet little romantic place to have a date night up here. We love it & we will always be back
Latika J — Google review
We got a couple of margaritas, shared a burrata to start. For mains, we got the vegetarian spaghetti with capers and olives, and the beef ragout. Good ambiance and the place was busy. One of the wait staff ladies came out with our mains and looks pretty cranky and kind of threw them down and walked off. Prob just having a bad day. The Italian guy who was serving us most of the night was great. Food was tasty and margaritas were ok but a little weak/bland.
Andy M — Google review
The bar and restaurant have seperate menus and you can’t mix them. You can’t order a pizza from the bar menu with a main from the restaurant menu despite being in the same building!? Really? Bar food looked good but unfortunately we were seated in the restaurant area so forced to only order restaurant food. Food was fine but portions were small and lacked flavour for the price. All the pasta dishes were just store bought pasta not even hand made and were tasteless and small, would expect much better for the price. The main fish dishes were good though but again very small. Also no beers on tap!? Food also very slow. 1 hour plus at least. Only saving grace was the service, staff were nice and apologetic about the menu. Seems they understand the system is flawed too… Unfortunately can’t recommend the restaurant at all, maybe the bar is better? Good luck

Magnificent food, great staff ( DJ is superb and I think her name was Francesca is a bubbly pocket rocket). It was that good we managed to go back a second time before leaving Port Douglas and the quality did not diminish. Keep up the great quality of food served, along with a very welcoming and friendly atmosphere. We'll be back. Thank you for a lovely time👍
Heath M — Google review
Very authentic Italian restaurant. We had lots of interaction with our waiter as he was attentive and ensured our wine and water glasses were never empty and there was just the right amount of time between serves. I had a serve of squid ink spaghetti with local prawns. Delicious 😋 👌! My partner had the yellow fin tuna steak, prepared just the way he likes it. Excellent! Cooked to perfection 👌 We followed with two desserts , the cannoli and the chocolate pudding. Both were mouth wateringly delicious. We can highly recommend to anyone in the area wanting an awesome Italian meal experience. The best meal we've had in Port Douglas.
Michelle M — Google review
Disgusting experience thanks to the server at this place who was so rude when we enquired as to whether we could order dessert and drinks - told us to go away because we weren't spending enough money to sit at the Restaurant seats. He felt the need to make a scene in front of other customers. Ironic there were several tables empty and no sign of potential customers any time soon. I'd give this place a big miss and trust the manager of this place can reflect on their Customer Service.

Seafood restaurant
Located in the heart of Port Douglas, Wrasse & Roe is a seafood restaurant that specializes in sustainable catch. The restaurant has an open-air setting with a beach-vibe aqua color palette and is brightly lit. The menu features several items including Queensland blue mud crab, chilli, nannygai and oysters.
My partner and I dined at Wrasse and Roe on the second night of our holiday to Port Douglas. We arrived 15 mins early to our booking and were seated near a large very loud group. The waiter was lovely and could tell that we weren’t thrilled about being seated next to such a loud group so he moved us to the al fresco area which was much better. The service was fantastic all night and the food was delicious. We ordered scallops for entree and the black mussels and Moreton bay bugs for main. The black mussels weee exceptional. They came in a delicious garlicky sauce with a serving of delicious fresh sourdough. I would highly recommend a visit to Wrasse & Roe when in Port Douglas!

We were very impressed with both the taste and presentation of our meal. The wait staff were attentive and professional, making the experience even more enjoyable. We will definitely recommend this restaurant for anyone seeking a fine dining experience.

Exceptionally cooked seafood platter. Bugs and smoked salmon were absolutely delicious and perfectly cooked. The whole platter was fantastic, and right amount of food.

Amazing food , the garlic butter Mud Crab was out of this world. My husband could not stop talking how good the flavours were. We were in a food coma after our dinner 😃 Friendly staff , came here on my son’s recommendation. Glad I chose this place for the finger licking dish .

Wow! Absolutely loved coming here for dinner twice on our holiday. The eye fillet was delicious and my husband had the mud crab. The staff are welcoming and atmosphere is great. Highly recommend.

This was a treat on our last night in Port Douglas and it was a real treat! Could not fault the service or the food. Everything was delicious. We were seated in a corner at the front of the restaurant and it was very quiet and quite romantic. We will go back next trip.
Belinda D — Google review
Fantastic food, awesome staff! Knowledgeable and attentive. We had barramundi 3 different ways, each was excellent! The Tuna starter was also really nice. A little pricey, but well worth it!!
Alex B — Google review
Food was delicious. We both had scallops then fish, either fish if the day with vegetables and barramundi with Asian greens. Fish was cooked perfectly. We both ended with sorbet as it was a bakingly hot evening. We had an issue when the mains arrived before the entree. The staff were far more concerned than we were. However, we keep life in perspective and this minor issue does not upset us in the least. The young English lady running front of house acted professionally and quickly, acknowledging their error and presenting options to us. As a staff manager myself, I appreciate honesty, reaction and thinking quickly on your feet, so 10/10 to her. A lovely evening with great food but a bit hot where we were sitting in the front corner. Again, thanks to the staff for keeping us topped up with ice water and recognising we needed it. Plus good wine and cocktails to boot! A restaurant worth putting on your itinarary.

We always pop in here for a beer when we visit Pt Douglas. Next time we will stay for a meal, that's why I can't rate the meal, as we haven't eaten here. The atmosphere is great, with many places to sit and enjoy. I would say you should book, if going there at night for a meal. The tables are always clean and staff friendly. The prices are reasonable, under $20 for 2 drinks. If you like my reviews please follow us around Australia 🇦🇺.

Had a bucket of prawns and they were good. asked for tabasco and the server got it for me. lets face it, its a superb location. but the service was really quite good
Wayne — Google review
Very busy right on midday, scored a high table out the front. We ordered the calamari with chips and the fish tacos which came out fairly quickly. The calamari was very tender and the chips cooked perfectly. The barramundi in the tacos was the standout! Absolutely delicious. This together with a glass of Shaw and Smith Sauv Blanc made lunch very enjoyable. Highly Recommend.
Audrey — Google review
It’s a beautiful location with views across the beach. Live (and loud!) music adds to the atmosphere. Grabbing a table can be tricky on busy nights. We both ordered the steak. I had the scotch fillet which was cooked well. The chips were cooked well but no seasoning. The salad was drowned in dressing but I thought both the chips and salad could have been a bit bigger. A good option.
Jane L — Google review
Loved the booze and juice drink, steak was sublime and perfectly cooked, chips were great too. Only qualm is that I asked to swap the chips with another side item on the menu but my request couldn't be fulfilled - was looking for a healthier alternative. If this is in fact possible please make it clear to staff for future orders.
Thefoodaroo — Google review
A great hotel with a terrific atmosphere. The Court House Hotel is a relaxing place to have a drink, some food and watch the world go by. You can't beat having a drink in the outdoor dining area or deck on a beautiful sunny day. There are indoor dining options too. There is also an area upstairs that is often used for functions. Regular live music is played here on some nights. 'The Courty' is probably the best pub in Port Douglas for food, drink and overall atmosphere. They run an efficient kitchen and we have never had a bad meal here over the years - around three decades of visiting Port Douglas. On our most recent visits, we had a couple of great discussions with the wonderful manager Nikola! We also enjoyed our conversation with one of the very pleasant staff members, Erwan (there's a photo of him below). An always reliable hotel with excellent food and efficient friendly service. Keep up the great work team! :-)

The venue has three floors dedicated to evening enjoyment, an air-conditioned gaming lounge, nightly DJs, and hosts cane toad racing seven nights a week. IronBar is famous for its ribs and lively atmosphere, with the option to enjoy oyster happy hour during specific times.
Our first time here- the oyster happy hour caught our attention. Delicious good in a rustic decor. We had the tasting plate too with the best beef brisket. Next time we'll choose one of the aged steaks which looked fabulous.
Christine D — Google review
Fun and lively atmosphere and staff were nice. The ribs and steak (no pic) were good. Would’ve preferred the sides to not be coated in extra cheese and butter but it is to be expected! A little hard to fit all the dishes for two people on the bar tables for dinner as the plates/bowls are large but manageable. Overall a pleasant dinner out!
Denise N — Google review
We stopped in for a quick drink and a snack and ended up staying for a few drinks and extra food after getting a taste of what IornBar offered. I had a spicy cocktail that was delicious and interesting (and more than some paint-by-numbers mix drink). We kept ordering more food because the bread and first snack we ordered were so tasty. If/when I am back in Port Douglas, I will go out of my way to go back.
Nicholas — Google review
you know how it is after a while you just want a steak. which is why we went to ironbar. Had the 200G 'Coorong Black' Eye Fillet medium rare. Should have asked rare , my fault. tender as, super taste. only regret is not asking if I could have plain mashed potato rather than the truffled. Other than that this was the best feed in FNQ for the week

If you're a carnivore, you need to try this place! The steaks were mouth watering. It was pricey but worth every mouthful. And the wine list, service and desserts ain't half bad either(see photo)

Loved the share plate and the oysters, had a small mistake made with our oyster variety that we ordered but got what we asked for and was given the wrong ones to us for free and a free beer. Wait staff brilliant and the manager was great with everything. When in Port Douglas your loss if you miss out on an experience in the iron Bar.

We walked in 4pm and were lucky to get a seat outside, this place is extremely popular and you should book a table especially in the holiday season. Started off with a few cocktails that were all fabulous and then entrees and dinner, everything was perfect from the steak to the prawn linguine. What really topped it off was the service, Sara looked after us and was never far away when we needed another drink or ready to order food. This is a must do when you visit Port Douglas.

The restaurant takes pride in its award-winning burgers made with black Angus beef patties and hickory smoked bacon. Don't walk past this place! Even if it just looks like just a nother sports bar. Daughter: "Everything's so good here." If you need Gluten-free you need to ask for the menu. GF Food items are even listed as "C" for Celiac safe! Never seen this before, and the staff are so knowledgeable. So easy to eat and relax knowing everything will be done right. I had the Whisky sauce Chicken Wings.... So so good and filling. My daughter's had the GF (Celiac safe) burgers and they couldn't stop saying how good they were. The Kids also had the thick shacks that looked delicious. A+ Would definitely go back

After reading the reviews I decided to give it a try. The N17 house special and salmon Burger were amazing! Then I tried the Barramundi and truffles mushroom burger one day later. It turned out they were great again. The staff were super friendly and I can tell they do love their jobs. This burger restaurant is a bonus to my holiday at Port Douglas. Highly recommended!

Delicious 😋! Always a good feed, arrived in Port around 4pm, headed straight here for our first (and only) meal for the day. Burgers tasty, hot chippies (one of the 3 of us rated them a 10/10 🍟), and the best thick shakes 👌
R — Google review
DO NOT waste your money in this sleazy badly run greasy burger joint. What a dump, overpriced food, staff more interested in looking cool than actually servicing the customers. Burger very average and overpriced. The only place I have EVER had to pay for fries with a burger. As for the fries, mostly fried bits of batter with no potatoes in the chips (see pic) and you have to pay $6 for a small plate. They were tasteless & inedible. The fact you would not only charge for them but actually put them out is an indication of a very poor eatery. Do NOT waste your money, there are a couple of really good places on the street where they know how to cook & present food.
James A — Google review
It's been forever since I received a small (very generous) bowl of crispy sweet potato fries. There's an incredible range of burgers to cover every conceivable desire and if they don't have it you can make your own. The gluten free menu is amazing. The presence of a vegan lentil patty excellent, and it tasted good too. The vibe was great, even at a midweek lunch, the service friendly and fantastic. Craft beers were great. Really theres not a lot of negatives. Maybe a bit more seasoning in the burger patty and on the fries but it was nearly there. I'd go back and work out just what was going to be my new favourite burger, and have more of those crispy crunchy sweet potato fries.
Alan B — Google review
Cracking sports bar on the main strip in PD. Had the NRL PRELIM footy on all TV’s (at full volume). The burgers and chips were some of the best me and the family have ever eaten. Craft beers for days. Happy hour. We will be back.

Great atmosphere here at Choo Choo’s and very friendly staff that come and engage to check on the needs and satisfaction of the patrons. Really enjoyed the chicken satay salad that’s light and nice. The fish and chips come in generous portion and the chips are one of the best I had since I arrive in Cairns, well done in crisps! The pull pork tacos is also one that you must order as the pork is tender and with the right balance of meat, vegetables, salsa and guacamole.

Nice place on the marina. Ordered banana bread - would have been nice if it came heated up, was a tad bland (in my opinion). Was definitely a good serving size for $13 👌 Scrambled eggs on toast - very nice, and cooked well Pakoras - ok, for something different, a bit greasy Cappuccino & iced latte were rated high by the coffee drinkers

The food was delicious! We were seated promptly and the service was amazing. It’s beautiful sitting along the marina especially if you were planning to go on a tour after. Highly recommend.

I spent a few days in Port Douglas and had breakfast at Choo Choos. It was an amazing experience—the place is really nice, clean, and welcoming. I ordered the eggs benedict, and they were honestly some of the best I’ve ever had! The portion was generous and the hollandaise sauce was served in just the right amount (plenty, which I love). I would definitely recommend this spot to anyone visiting Port Douglas!

Quite possibly the best spot for brekkie in Port Douglas, I only say possibly breccias I won’t be going anywhere else while we’re here! Quaint ambience, great coffee, friendly service & the most delicious high quality food I’ve had in a long time! Try the kungpao mushrooms & rice breakfast pudding

We tried to order the french toast with honey instead if Jam - told not possible. Ordered the chilli eggs which were soaked in sauces making everything soggy. Also a Regular serve of poached eggs also arrived with soggy toast

Very tasteful place for breakfast, food was great and so was the service and location, will come back again when in Port Douglas
Dennis G — Google review
This is a charming coffee shop, good to visit. The staff are very friendly, nice, but not really helpful or obliging for customers. Very basic approach to food service, can not alter off the menu. For example we had to order a side of sour dough bread, as we wanted a B.L.A.T, but no turkish bread. Good reason given that cook was on their own , and couldn't change. But lost us as we had to pay an extra $8 for the extra bread. Again good spot, great coffee, but not a place for food, when 3 doors up you can choose what you want and build your breakfast. And a subtle suggestion, remember small road blocks like food options just mean customers may not return... also notice the knife and fork dump today compared to yesterday, because we "complained "

Barbecue restaurant
Nestled in the heart of Port Douglas, Smokey Pint brings a taste of Texas-style BBQ to this charming seaside town. Known for its low and slow cooking techniques, this eatery serves up mouthwatering beef brisket, tender ribs, and pulled pork by the pound. But it’s not just about the meats; the inviting atmosphere is complemented by cool vibes and an impressive selection of local craft beers.
We order meat platter for 2, that’s a perfect amount of meat and sides for 2 people! All the meat is delicious, beef brisket just melt in your mouth, bbq sauce is yummy too! Well spent, would love to come back again!❤️
Hoi L — Google review
I don’t know if we just went on a bad night, but heaps of the menu wasn’t available, and the meat on our platters was so scarce and so dry like it was cooked a day before (and not the 13 hour slow cook kind) the platter for one looked nothing like the other reviews on here! On the fish and chips it wasn’t even a full fillet just 4 little cubes and the platters had HALF A SAUSAGE on each, like come on. Come to find out they actually weren’t meant to be open that night… if you don’t have enough food to service orders maybe stay closed until you can. Super disappointed
Megan R — Google review
Dinner at Smokey Pint was a revelation of smoky goodness! Opting for the mixed meat platter was a decision I'll never regret. It showcased the best of what the restaurant had to offer: succulent pork ribs, flavorful pulled pork, and melt-in-your-mouth brisket, all expertly smoked to perfection. Each bite was a celebration of smoky flavors and tender textures, leaving me craving for more. However, the surprise star of the evening was the home fries served with the white BBQ sauce. These crispy yet fluffy potato delights elevated the meal to a whole new level. The tangy kick of the BBQ sauce perfectly complemented the smoky meats, creating a symphony of flavors on my palate. The ambiance of the restaurant added to the overall dining experience, with its warm and inviting atmosphere. If you're a fan of smoked meats and bold flavors, don't miss out on Smokey Pint. It's a culinary journey you won't soon forget!

The best brisket I've ever had, perfectly smoked, juicy, the house made rub was delicious making the crust so good. Pulled pork and their sides were good too. My wife and I each ordered a platter and both of us were stuffed by the end of it. Super friendly staff, plenty of seating, good vibes with good music, kid friendly with high chairs available. Was quite quiet for a Friday night for the quality of food we were getting.
Josh W — Google review
Wow seriously amazing food and service. We shared the platter for two and it was the perfect amount of food and sides. All 3 meats were great, was hard to choose a favourite however the make your own pulled pork soft tacos was up there. Highly recommend 👌

Definitely the hidden gem of port Douglas!! Everything was perfectly cooked and seasoned. All the meat was juicy and tender plus sides were all perfection . Highly recommend!!! 10 out of 10!!! The customer service from owner/pitmaster Peter and his lovely wife was next level. This place deserves a visit from everyone in town.

Excellent little smokehouse in a quiet corner of Port Douglas. Meat is purchased per 100g, and then choose sides and sauce. Very generous portions of the sides. We asked for a bit of everything, and tried the pulled pork, beef rib, beef cheek and turkey wing. My favourite was the turkey rib and my partner loved the beef rib. They are also very dedicated to supportive local and boutique producers and this extends heavily to their drinks range. I can’t wait to come back with friends.

Small little smoke house, quite new on the block. Choose your meat, side and sauce. Meat was delicious. Potato salad was excellent, but mac & cheese could have done with some bacon or extra cheese.. was a bit dry. Decent drinks list for such a small place! Had a cool bar where they chilled glasses in an ice pool. Staff were super passionate about their food. We walked in without a booking and managed to make a table of 8 work. We brought a vegetarian (not their target market) and they were really kind to them and gave them complimentary sides to pick at, she was quite happy! Would come back.

Rattle n Hum Port Douglas is a classic Australian pub located on Macrossan Street, offering a cozy and family-friendly atmosphere. It's known for serving wood-fired pizza and hearty steak with a relaxed feel. The pub is popular among sports enthusiasts as it broadcasts live AFL, NRL, EPL, A-League, Rugby matches and big events like State of Origin and UFC.
We tried out Rattle n Hum and ended up going back multiple times — it was that good! The music and atmosphere is fantastic and the staff are really friendly. The food is absolutely delicious, with a special shout-out to the Good Ol’ fish and chips. Prices are reasonable, and there’s a great selection of beers on tap. Definitely a spot we’d recommend and will return to.

Sorry guys, we are disappointed. We come for good wood oven pizza How much it takes to make nice garlic pizza? Please do not put so nuch oil on it, please. And fresh garlic would be nice. Otherwise good place to be and service was good.
Nina M — Google review
Sad sad pizzas, and the vegan pizza is ever sadder. Place has no service — you order food at the kitchen counter, and then you order drinks at the bar. Very inconvenient. The pizzas are wood fired aka burnt at the ends. The inferno pizza was unevenly covered with pizza and red sauce. The pizza chef definitely doesn’t know what they are doing.

This is a great place for wine and Aussie beer. Service is impeccable and the light bites we had , Shell on local prawns, bang bang chicken proved delicious. Add our type of music. - country, Hootie, Fleetwood Mac etc and it’s a winner.
Terry D — Google review
This is a fun and casual place to get a delicious thin crust pizza, which we thoroughly enjoyed. All pizzas here are 12 inches, so if you’re really hungry order two. Salads are massive. You order and pay for food at one counter and do the same for drinks at another counter. The food comes out quickly and is nice and hot. The restaurant is quite large but typically also very busy so be prepared for a short wait that is well worth it!

By far my favourite place to dine in Port Douglas. Tonight we had steak sandwich with chips, and chicken schnitzel with mash, veg & diane sauce. Fast, quality food. Atmosphere in here is great, we love sitting in the booths. Reasonable prices too. Right in the centre of main Macrossan street.

Great place where we felt very much welcome on a special day (Christmas Eve). The food was great, young staff were very friendly and always with a smile. We felt a little familiar atmosphere. All was perfect for us on that day. Cost aligned with local market costs. It's totally recommended.
Vergílio T — Google review
Staff friendly, quick service on the meals. The men had the ribs which were tasty, but overkill on the BBQ sauce. Pizza and pork buns were OK. Cocktails pleasant. Good value for money, good vibe. Would recommend.

Nestled in the serene area of Four Mile Beach, Kai Port Douglas is a charming bistro that has quickly become a favorite among families and locals alike. Recently recognized as one of Far North Queensland's top family dining spots, this delightful eatery offers a unique twist on traditional pub fare. With dishes like yellow seafood curry, 24-hour smoked beef brisket, and barramundi paired with quinoa, even the pickiest eaters will find something to love.
First meal nowhere near Macrossin Street, Kai is situated 10 minutes out of town. It is still casual dining but the menu is a little more varied than we have seen else where. We ordered the Coral Trout Cevice, flat bread with burrata to start which were both very nice. Our mains included fish and chips, lip mussels in a spicy tomato broth, pan fried Coral Trout fillet in a delicious sauce. And amazing onion rings for the kids. We finished with homemade tiramisu their only dessert. The place is busy, everyone looked happy with their orders especially the lady on the table next to us who was served a mountain of baby back ribs which her whole family helped her eat. The staff were fantastic, nothing was too much trouble. We would definitely eat here again

Nothing bad to say about this place, it was our last night in Aus before we have to travel back to the UK. We definitely saved the best till last. Staff, food, service, everything was great. Compliments to the chefs.
Anthony F — Google review
Had starters and mains such as yellow seafood curry, oyster and steak. Full marks for the steak and the seafood curry but the oyster sauce was a bit salty. Portion size was generous with good pricing. Service is good. One mark less for the wait time being too long, however the staffs were really sweet.

Easy to reserve a table, friendly staff, absolutely scrumptious food! Best brisket dish in my life!!! A little out of the way but well worth the drive. There's also a sports bar right next door if you want a little bit more excitement or just want to meet up with friends before or after dinner

Regular visitor to Port Douglas and just learnt about Kai from the hotel we are staying at. Great local choice away from the bustle of the main st. Staff were lovely, breakfast was delicious. We'll be back to try dinner now we know about Kai.

Lovely place at the south end of Port Douglas. Staff were attentive and we ordered the octopus for me and the duck liver pâté for entré and the 24hr slow cook brisket and lamb shoulder desert was a crime brûlée. All were nicely presented and very tasty indeed.

TBH, I saw the Post Douglas Magazine and just stayed close by , so deciding to come and try. I like scrambled egg, so the miso scrambled egg will be my first choice ~ For the dish,, the egg and the toast part was fabulous, I just can’t eat the kimchi… it’s way too sour to me… if you could chop pans mixing with egg, and put more Korean chilli powder with the kimchi… I think that would be much better ! But general the miso scrambled was good 👍 I ordered iced mocha, I couldn’t finish it … maybe recently when I ordered iced mocha … what I got were made with vanilla ice cream instead of put ice-cube … so it was under my expectation … however … I think I shouldn’t take that ice cream thing on granted either as the chocolate drizzled on the side of cup as well 😂😂😂😂 Kombucha was nice 😊 by the way ~ 😍😍😍
