Grand Anse Beach is a 1.5-mile stretch of white sand, lined with sea grape trees and low-rise hotels, making it a popular spot for swimming and sunbathing. The beach gently slopes into calm waters, perfect for families with children to enjoy snorkeling among rainbow-hued fish. Visitors can also indulge in water sports like water skiing, parasailing, windsurfing, and scuba diving offered by beachfront concessions.
We stop of on our crusie in Grenada. Our last visit was 22 years ago for our honeymoon. My son was with us this time and I must say it has developed over the years. The water is salty and there is a dip so be very careful with the young ones. It's was ok for snorkeling but you have to go out in the deep but be careful because the small boat passes there as well. We walked from the port and took a local van which was not far from the port and is very easy. $2 US for 3 person one way, to return you can walk out to the main street and wait for the local vans that will take you back to town. There are washroom facilities available at $2 EC or $1 US. It's a long strip of beautiful white sand and blue waters. You can relax on the sand or rent a chair.

A really great beach to relax and enjoy the local vibes, nice and beautiful sand. You can get some shades from the trees, so you are going to be fine. Water is calm and soothing, very enjoyable. A great place to catch the sunset.

Grand Anse Beach Review: 4/5 Stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟 Grand Anse Beach in Grenada is undeniably beautiful! The clean water and soft sand make it a perfect spot for swimming, relaxing, and enjoying the natural beauty of the island. The water is crystal-clear, and there are plenty of chairs and umbrellas available for rent ($30 with WiFi included). However, I recommend skipping the water taxi. While it’s a popular choice at $15 per person round trip, it was overcrowded and felt unsafe. For just $10 more, a regular taxi is faster, more comfortable, and worth every penny. The reason I gave the beach 4 stars instead of 5 is due to some of the beach servers being a bit too persistent. Being asked repeatedly (over 20 times!) if I wanted a massage or to buy spices got a little tiring and detracted from the relaxing vibe. All in all, Grand Anse Beach is stunning and worth a visit, especially if you’re cruising into Grenada. Just come prepared for a little hustle and bustle along the shore! Stay tuned for my detailed review of the water taxi experience! #GrandAnseBeach #GrenadaTravel #BeachReview #CaribbeanAdventures #CruiseTips #BeachLife #TravelGrenada #JKCAdventures #IcedAdventures

We have been to T&C (best beach Taylor Bay),St Lucia (best beach Anse Chastanet) and Antigua (Pidgeon Beach if you had to push me!) and we think that Grand Anse is definitely at top of list for a number of reasons. We like a beach that is easy to access with a hire car, fairly quiet, good swimming, clean, and is nice to walk along. This beach ticks all those boxes. It is also so long that even on busy days (eg, cruise ship days), you can still find a quiet spot. We are really impressed how clean it is kept (the most rubbish we saw was after a cruise ship of English tourists - come on guys, letting the side down!). There are also some really good restaurants along the beach - Unbrellas and 61West are both fab. Love the fact you can just grab a Carib for same price as supermarket to drink on beach. No jet skis which was great - they ruined Taylor Bay for us. And everyone is so friendly- love the Grenadian people, they definitely make you feel at home. Had no worries walking the length of this beach at night. Cruise ship days we did tend to head elsewhere, just for the number of sunbeds that appear for passengers. The sand is super soft and a mix between white and black depending on which part of beach you are on. We did have a few vendors approach us but they were always respectful and once they had spoken to us did not approach again, just gave us a friendly wave.

Go to Grenada! This is one of the best and most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean! Clear, blue, calm, cool water! A joy to behold and enjoy it was nice and quiet with locals and tourists alike enjoying the views and refreshing waters. There is some public parking available as well as a beach side bar and small shops for refreshments, drinks, snacks and quick bites. Definitely visit if you are in Grenada!
Ojal R — Google review
The perfect place to unwind. The soft white sand, crystal-clear waters, and gentle waves create a serene atmosphere, ideal for relaxation. A must-visit for anyone looking to relax in Grenada!

This beach is absolutely stunning, phenomenal. It's a breath taking. I would highly recommend everyone around the world to visit this beautiful famous beach in Grenada. People are friendly and the beach is very safe. There are hotels, restaurants, shops, art af crafts and pubs on the beach. A great place for family and friends. 🇬🇩 🇬🇩

Apparently this is the most popular beach in Grenada. So if you were looking for calm and soothing then this is not the beach to visit. I love the vibe here tho. The music in the background and the people having fun gives real Caribbean mood. I went here for sunset and it looked amazing! My camera didn’t do it right 😅 but I recommend you to go and have a great time at Grand Anse.

Morne Rouge Beach, also known as BBC Beach, is a picturesque 750m-long stretch of pristine white sand nestled in a sheltered bay just south of Grand Anse Beach in Grenada. This hidden gem offers calm and crystal-clear waters perfect for swimming and snorkeling among colorful tropical fish in the offshore coral gardens. Visitors can relax under the shade of grape and palm trees or enjoy the beachfront amenities provided by Laluna hotel.
This is the beach to head to in Grenada. It was a 15 minute walk from Grand Anse which is beautiful but busy. This beach is quieter with nice sand and sea. Perfect place to relax.
Leaburn — Google review
The so called "BBC beach". Very beautiful. Visited in on a Monday afternoon on early June and it was almost empty of people, the sea very calm, the beach very clean. If you have time, visit it !

Had a great time at Morne Rouge Beach. We came on a day without a cruise ship in port so I don't know how busy it gets when one comes in. I checked the port schedule before going to the beach. Not busy for the entire time we were there. 9-12. The two beach loungers were 25 ec/10 usd for both. That's all day if we wanted to stay. Would recommend to anyone wanting to relax.
Chris W — Google review
Tricky to get there. Basically stick to the tarmacked 'road', don't go left, head down to where the road ends with a nightclub, turn around and park back up the hill
Vic — Google review
Nice laid back and free public beach with shade, food and facilities. If you're lucky you might meet the spice guy who has the coolest necklaces made entirely from local spices. Ask him to describe them and it's a spice education on a string, very cool!

If you want a quit beach, beautiful aquamarine water color, clean white sand, and a beautiful view of a relatively small bay, this is your beach at Grenada! We entered thru the Kalinago Beach Resort and used a couple of extension beach chairs to relax for a couple of hours! Great choice!!!! Fully recommended for this time of the year March/April!

Bathway Beach, located in St. Patrick Parish to the north of Grenada, offers a mile-long stretch of white sandy shore along the bay from Sauteurs to Petite Anse. The beach is sheltered enough for safe swimming most of the year and features designated reef areas for snorkeling. Visitors can enjoy views of Carriacou's white sands while relaxing under palm trees or opt for a more secluded experience towards the northwest.
I actually really like the place. Lots of space to run and have fun and relax and just chill. The view is just magical, try going in the morning amd you will be blown away by the natural magical art of the whole scenery. The water is warm even in the night, maybe its just me but the water is warm. It's reasonable in roughness, not always calm but it not very rough too, it makes for a good place to really play in the water and have fun. The sand is nice and what and beautiful. The beach is perfect for a drink with friends for a BBQ with the family all of that is perfect for the beach. Try it out.
Alex M — Google review
I know this beach for being a nice quiet chill on a Sunday. There's a few local bars and eateries open where you could eat before sunset however the menus are limited so bare this in mind. If you go take the opportunity to go to the Welcome Stone prior to going to the beach you won't be dissapointed - the views are amazing.
Natalie W — Google review
Large & beautiful beach but not very good for swimming. There's a reef ~20m out which means you can't swim out that far. Ok for a wallow in the shallows.
Dave S — Google review
Lots of washed up seaweed. Extremely coarse sand(but still beautiful), breakwater has migrated somewhat, shallow and rocky.
Katherine S — Google review
The water is rather rough but best place to just relax with family and friends

I have recently visited that beautiful place by sharing hiking, walking and running activities with the facebook group called: Grenada Hash House Harriers of which I am a member and in which various activities are organized every Saturday in different parts of the island, really I recommend them to all my Google followers. The place is truly wonderful, its beach, nature, mountains, vegetation and the local people. I recommend it to you all my dear followers,

Oh God it's beautiful! The crystal clear water in very inviting Imagine laying on the stretched out white sand enjoying the cool breeze and warm kisses from the sun. Have the munchies? Food, snacks and beverages are a few steps away, some of the food stalls provide an open WiFi. Cell reception is fair although in some areas the connection may drop. Accessible Public restroom and shower facility. Bathway is on the list of places you must visit.

Levera Beach is a secluded and idyllic spot located on the northeastern tip of Grenada. It offers stunning sunrise views over Sugarloaf, Sandy Island, and Green Island, as well as the distant Grenadines. The beach is part of Levera National Park, known for its wetlands that attract ornithologists. From April to July, Leatherback turtles come to nest on the beach, making it a unique experience for visitors.
Beautiful Atlantic sea! Walk along the beach and enjoy the breathtaking view! Fresh catch sold at times there on the beach. Leatherback turtles sanctuary volunteer project from April to June. Please respect the nesting season.

I only gave 3 stars because we drove all the way from St George's. It was a great twisty turny ride up and down mountains. The beach was empty with lots of driftwood all over the place. If you happen to voyage to the area, Bathway Beach is much better.

nice wiew but sea coast full of sea weeds need to be cleaned seasonally and open north winds not good for swimming,

We were the only ones on the beach. Huge waves on dramatic coast. There were signs that turtles had been ashore at some point. Lots of seaweed but still a lovely L shaped beach to walk along.

Magazine Beach is a serene public beach with white sand and clear waters, making it an ideal spot for relaxation. While swimming may not always be possible due to rough waters, visitors can enjoy the sea breeze and indulge in delicious barbecues at the nearby Aquarium Restaurant at Maca Bana resort on Sundays. The beach, located in the southwest corner of Grenada, offers a lively atmosphere with live reggae music and a friendly island vibe.
A beautiful, clean beach with nice yellow hued sand and clear blue water. A few sea shells and pieces of nice coral. Waves gentle on nice days, allowing good swimming. Some nice scenic rock outcroppings. Much of the beach has a small line of eroded reef / rock, but mainly flat and many sandy breaks you can walk through to access the water. Good easy snorkeling close to shore, saw maybe 15 types of fish, all pretty. And if you venture out to places that are more than 10 feet deep (less human trampling) you can see some limited live coral (e.g. sea fans) which is nice looking. Glad we had a lot of time on this beach.
GT H — Google review
I love this little beach! Has parking at the bottom of Concrete Strip mostly under shade. Nice sand although it is steep in places. You do need to be careful of rocks, but there are places to get into the water. And of course you have The Aquarium at end of beach- highly recommend the passionfruit soft drink!
K T — Google review
Hidden gem in Grenada. Brace yourself for the steep decline when you pull into the drive, but it’s worth the descent. I went at night. There are no lights except for the moon and the stars. There are some gorgeous trees that overhang the entire area, providing shade during the day. Definitely a gorgeous little stop one should make while visiting the island of Grenada
Jeremy C — Google review
Relaxing, beautiful sunset and sunrise views

A lovely stretch of white sand along the southern shores, this is a perfect place for a relaxing walk, some snorkeling or kayaking. The beach can be quite, a great escape option to busy Gran Anse.. make sure you’ll drink drinks and food if you are planning to stay for a while..

Beautiful beach for swimming. Lots of seaweed by the shore but it's well maintained in-between the green flags.

Nestled on the south coast of Grenada, about 10km from St. Georges, La Sagesse Beach is a tranquil haven with volcanic silver sands and clear waters perfect for swimming and snorkeling. The beach is set in a protected cove with palm-fringed shores and tree-clad rocky headlands, offering an idyllic setting for relaxation. Visitors can also explore nearby hiking trails at the La Sagesse Nature Centre before enjoying refreshments at the beachside restaurant.
It's my favourite place to be when I come to Grenada. Lovely quiet beach. Great place to relax, read a book, and take a 5/ have a nap. There is a nice restaurant with delicious food and drinks on the beach also.
Rochelle I — Google review
Nice quiet beach with unpredictable waters though. Calm, then rough, then big waves all within the same hour on some days. Interesting shells on the sand: unique only to this beach. Collect a few. A new hotel has dumped mud and silt into the water and on the sand. The construction of this hotel has ruined the wild life, natural beauty and vegetation. The greed of foreign investors and the Government officials who approved these destructions disguised as constructions, is a mind boggling shame.
Tatie H — Google review
This was so disappointing. Very hard, flat area of sand. It's great to walk on but not too comfy for anything else. Huge construction site along most if it, and one end with lots if seaweed.
K T — Google review
Beautiful stunning beach, very quiet... BUT unfortunately being destroyed by greedy hotel builders. The adjacent bird sanctuary has been bulldozed down, the views are destroyed and the beach and inland woods were full of construction waste (at least at the part of the beach closest to the construction, next to the nice looking Sagesse Boutique Hotel it's clean). Shame on whoever allowed the construction there!
Alexander F — Google review
Had a great dip at this very quiet beach. You were able to hand count visitors.
Tramaine Y — Google review
My favourite place in the whole world as a kid, I fondly called it "Jefferson's beach" after our dear friend there, and could spend hours and hours underneath the palms or trying (and normally failing) to climb them, making new friends, snorkelling, building dams along the rivers, jumping along the stepping stones to the restaurant and soaking up the sun. Slice of heaven truly, even if it's changed over time, it always has something magical about it
Beti M — Google review
The beach is lovely and shallow going far out. As long as sea weed isn't coming inland then its one of the best beaches you can choose to go in the South East side of the island.
Alex M — Google review
Stopped for tea while touring the island. Nothing to write home about… save the sea ( not the tea 🍰😕) BUT There’s nothing more beautiful than a seaside afternoon for good company.

Sandy Island is an uninhabited cay located just off the west coast of Carriacou, accessible by water taxi or private boat. The island boasts white sandy beaches, palm trees, and crystal-clear waters perfect for snorkeling over coral reefs. It's a nature reserve with abundant marine life including triggerfish, snapper, barracuda, and hawksbill sea turtles.
We were here in June 2024 before the hurricane came through. Such a beautiful place and glad I was able to enjoy it.

Great place to anchor or grab a ball. You need to find a sandy pach to drop the anchor. The balls are fairly new and in great condition. It costs 30ec or 12us a night . Great place for snorkeling or just a swim. The beach is easy to haul your dinghy a shore and go for a walk. Across the bay, there are a few restaurants and bars to choose from. There is a shuttle for Paradise Beach bar that will pick you up and return you to your boat.
Matt K — Google review
This is my favorite place to be when it comes to soaking up the sun and enjoying a beautiful beach. I spend 3 different days on Sandy and they were all amazing. I highly reccomend getting a boat ride from Paradise Beach Club to get there. It was a super cheap $20EC if you ate at the club or $40EC per person if not. Beautiful views, super cute hermit crabs, small pools to wade in, snorkeling, palm trees, all of it!
Bethanea K — Google review
This is a beautiful island in the marine park. Pretty snorkeling! And the beach is gorgeous. There were 10 mooring balls there owned by the marine park folk. There is at least 1 broken one, hopefully they fix it as there seem to often be more boats wanting ro come than mooring balls.

This beach is so, so, so stunning! You get miles of sandy beach and crystal clear waters! If you're looking for a peaceful escape, BBC Beach in Grenada is a must visit. Carriacou, known as the "island of many reefs," is a haven for divers and snorkelers. The island boasts scenic beaches with clear aqua water and vibrant coral reefs. Paradise Beach is a popular spot for family-friendly snorkeling, where visitors can search for starfish in the shallow waters. Nearby Sandy Island offers more opportunities for exploration.
Carriacou is underrated! Sister Island of Grenada, it's very different. The island is noticeably much cleaner thak Grenada, people are really friendly and helpful, and there's a good bis service that takes you wherever you want to go for a very cheap EC$ 2.60 ! There aree beautiful beaches everywhere, fish aplenty... lovely island with mich to see and experience. Customs and Immigration very helpful and friendly.. A Must-see

Along with Bequia perhaps my favorite small Caribbean Island. Not touristy though Tyrell Bay has much enlarged it's amenities for yachting both for clearing in and for yacht parts and yacht services. More yachts than before but good to have a new "supermarket" though Im sure this will sadly have had an effect on the local street sellers of which there are not so many now. However it has not lost its character and only a short and cheap (3.5 ECD) minibus ride along to Hillsborough
Bob R — Google review
Carriacou is a fantastic place. It exceeded all my expectations when I visited it back in 2014. I spent 4 days there, scuba diving most of the time, driving around the island and chilling on the beaches. Paradise Beach, located on the picturesque Carriacou island in Grenada, offers a serene escape with its swaying palms, pristine white sand, and tranquil azure waters. Accessible via a convenient ferry from the main island, this beach is surrounded by bars and restaurants for added convenience. For an unforgettable snorkeling experience, visitors can take a boat to Sandy Island from Paradise Beach. The area boasts miles of silky white sand and shallow waters perfect for swimming.
This place was perfect for a beachside beer or cocktail during the day and dinner at night! You can swim at the beach or sit by it sipping a fresh pina colda. During dinner we had the pleasure of live music and fresh lobster. It was perfectly buttery and deshelled.

After a tour by Robert around the island, seeing all the devastation from Hurrican Beryl and learning how hard life is now for the local people, he dropped us at Paradise Beach Club, one of few restaurants operational. The island is in a sorry state, and my heart goes out to everyone living there. The beaches are stunning. Paradise Beach Club is really lovely. Fantastic service, great atmosphere and we were really surprised how good the food was! We ordered the chicken wrap light bite and fish light bite. Delicious!! Go to Carricou, spend some money and help their economy. We did a day trip on ferry from Grenada. It was easy.
K T — Google review
Now I see why they call this beach one of the best in the Caribbean. Not only is it on a beautiful small peaceful island but it also is full of variety and slightly changing as you go along the shores. One side is close to a mangrove area. If you walk down the beach toward the airport you will see the area i speak of. It is as clear as crystals. Beautiful glistening water that is shallow and calm and WARM. The water around the mangrove area is warm and so so nice you would want to sleep in it. If you were to turn and look down the beach away from the stadium then you will see all the way down to the end of the beach where the water is cooler and deeper but still exceptionally clear and beautiful. Grape trees line the upper edges of the shore and when bearing fruit you can eat those ripe purple fruit till your belly is full. I loved each visit to this beach i hope you enjoy it too. Remember to keep our beautiful paradise country clean and safe. Alex Marrast 🙏🏼🤌🏼🤘🏼.

Lovely little spot near the ferry. I had the chicken fingers with fries, which were cooked to perfection 👌 . Then, I took a dip in the cool water/beach. There were toilets available for use, which one.could change in. I would definitely recommend!

Duquesne Bay in Grenada offers the classic beach experience with its beautiful sandy shores and inviting waters. What sets it apart is the presence of Amerindian petroglyphs, adding a unique historical dimension to your visit. The southern part of the bay is home to these pre-Colombian artworks, making it an ideal spot for history enthusiasts. Visitors can also enjoy a stop at Beva bar before hitting the beach and exploring the petroglyphs.

Airport
Maurice Bishop International Airport, located on a peninsula in the Point Salines area of Grenada, is about 4 miles from the capital of St. George. It offers direct flights from various airlines including Delta, jetBlue, British Airways, American Airlines, Air Canada, Virgin Atlantic and more. The airport provides easy access for travelers from New York City and other locations. Visitors can expect efficient service at the airport with quick lines and friendly staff making it a pleasant entry point to the country.
Pleasant people. Arrivals were pretty quick. And the bags didn't take too long. I'm hoping departures are just as efficient. Will update..
Shanna E — Google review
The airport was certainly a pleasant experience overall. I was particularly impressed by the good duty-free selections available. However, the food prices upstairs were a bit shocking, to say the least. The staff members were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout the entire process. It was definitely a nice and well-kept airport.
Chip H — Google review
Airport, shop, immigration, and airline personnel we met here were patient, friendly, and helpful. Restrooms were very clean. Facilities adequate and shop variety and stock was good. Adequate and up to date info screens for flights, etc. Plenty of adequate seating when the 2nd floor is included. Reasonable air conditioned areas. And I did not see any big tributary photos of questionable/controversial leaders like Fidel Castro and Hugo Chavez as at the St Vincent airport. My only issue at this airport was that flights from Gate 5A and 5B require one to go upstairs to board (there is an escalator and elevator up), yet after scanning your boarding pass, you have to lug all carry on bags and oneself down stairs, and then of course back up the aircraft stairs. It’s humorous initially and not bad for everyone, but sad to see people struggling with their bags and please pray that no one falls. To recap: up… down… up ! This is not the case for convenient, normal ground level gates 1 to 4. Someone donate a couple jetways please! It’s mainly the bigger jets like American Airlines that have the ups and downs, maybe it is some kind of subconscious revenge for all the famous history between lovely Grenada and lovely USA? I believe the whole issue comes from the airport having been designed in anticipation of jetways (much of the waiting space is upstairs) which have not been funded yet? Anyways, the airport overall is quite nice and very suitable.
GT H — Google review
Small airport but they do international flights. 1 runway for all the flights. No walkways for entering and exiting the plane. Just use the “bluth” staircar staircase. Then you walk in the tarmac. Customs was quick and simple. Some hotels have shuttles but you’ll most likely have to take a taxi to your destination. Wouldn’t recommend renting a car, it’s not like driving where you’re from.
Al C — Google review
I wish I could give no stars at all, I had triple wrapped both my suitcases with luggage wrap, a suitcase cover and a plastic luggage cover. I noticed that my plastic luggage cover had been tampered with as soon as my luggage had come off the conveyor belt, this left me very uneasy and suspicious!!! My partners luggage had been stripped of both the suitcase cover and the plastic cover, the luggage wrap and zip had been evidently tampered with, they were clearly trying to steal from the luggage. There was a gape where the zip was, the zip was also in a totally different position than I had left it after wrapping it. They had slightly ripped the luggage wrap on one corner. This is absolutely disgusting and ruined the start of my vacation in Grenada. The staff that were around were quite helpful and gave us a form that we could send to insurance to confirm that our luggage was tampered with. My partner and I watched our luggage whilst we were sat on the plane at London Gatwick Airport, we could see both our suitcases being loaded, I know the tampering was done at Maurice Bishop International Airport. GUYS, PLEASE ENSURE ALL YOUR LUGGAGE IS THOROUGHLY WRAPPED UP AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE TO AVOID HAVING ANYTHING STOLEN‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️ I have added pictures of what our luggage originally looked like and how we found them! Someone had taken them off the conveyor and put them to a side.
Princess J — Google review
Small, cute airport but the customer service is HORRIBLE, especially those working in the departure area. From the Jetblue check-in counter to the immigration officers to those working at the departure gate, all rude and acted like it was painful to smile. The woman at Gate 2 working the Jetblue flight to NY ignored the boarding order by Groups and started boarding her buddies from the back of the line while the Mosaic customers had to wait. We knew these people were her friends becasue of the way they greeted each other. Besides the airport experience though, everyone else, we encountered in Grenada, was super pleasant and kind.
Diane G — Google review
This past Wednesday, I was flying to Carriacou wearing mesh pants over my bikini the same pants I wore in August without any issues. It’s a short, 20-minute flight. Check-in went smoothly, and nothing was mentioned about my attire. However, during the security screening, a staff member approached me, asked if I had another pair of pants, and eventually called Security on me. I was surprised and disappointed by how the situation was handled, as I felt it could have been addressed with more professionalism and courtesy. She was very hostile and spoke to me in a rude manner. What stood out to me was that her colleagues observed the exchange but did not step in. I’ve noticed that some staff interactions can feel less welcoming toward certain travelers, and I’ve heard similar feedback from other visitors and locals about the rude and aggressive conduct of some employees particularly toward foreign passengers and women of color.

We love Grenada, definitely the friendliest people in the Caribbean and cleanest beaches. We were on a mission to visit as many of the beaches as we could. It was going really well until we tried to get to Pink Gin Beach. We could not find a public entrance or track to beach so thought we would ask at Sandals entry point. First we were told by Sandals staff that the beach was only for hotel guests, then when we pointed out all beaches on Grenada are public, they said they did not come from the island so would not know....really? They were really unfriendly to the point of being rude. Shame on you Sandals.

Beach
Grand Anse Beach is a picturesque two-mile stretch of white sand, lined with hotels and offering stunning views of the capital and surrounding hills. While erosion has made the beach narrow, it remains a popular tourist spot. Visitors can enjoy the beautiful waters and moderate waves, but may find it challenging to rent chairs and umbrellas. The southwestern part of the beach is less crowded and features a popular beach bar called Umbrellas. However, walking along the beach at night is not recommended due to safety concerns.
Beautiful beach with plenty of sunbeds for hire… although the beach does get pretty busy early on. Sunbeds roughly 25/30$ for a pair with umbrella and WiFi. Sea taxi takes you from the cruise port to the beach for $15pp return. Also… walk down the far end of the beach for a glimpse of the ‘fortune hotel’ from ITV show!

Grande anse is a vibe. Especially on weekends. You get a mix of tourists and locals. Lots of music playing along the beach. Snorkeling pretty much guarantees seeing fish, most often friendly silver ones that like to swim with people. A fair bit of food and bar options although you’ll have to stay in the middle, the ends tend to be resorts. The sand is gold and soft. The colour is beautiful. Mountain lined views too. Tropical and colourful. Overall, this is one of my favourite beaches in the world.
Eva W — Google review
It is definitely one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. It is long, clean and has incredible town as well as sunset views. Swimming is average due to high salt content but doable. There are lifeguards present and parking nearby. Just like most of Grenada, the beach is relatively safe even at night.
Muris D — Google review
A day trip to St George’s in Grenada found us getting a taxi down to Grand Anse Beach for a few hours. After negotiating a 20 dollar taxi for two, 20 minutes later we were on a sun bed outside the Coconut Beach bar and restaurant. Two sun beds and a parasol was again negotiated at 15 dollars so this all felt good value. Grand Anse is set in a lovely bay with a long narrow stretch of clean soft sand. Small warm waves gently turned on the shore creating a typical Caribbean experience. This beach is very popular but has a peaceful charm to it. Plenty of bar tenders offering drinks and snack and you are not hastled or pressure sold anything. All in all, Grand Anse was a lovely place to spend a few hours before heading off to Barbados.
John G — Google review
Waters are clear, turquoise and ever so calm. Perfect for children and adults. No rubbish floating in the sea or on the sands. An abundance of marine life swim past your feet (in areas where there are not too many people). The people of the island are calm, welcoming and lets everyone just be. One of the best beaches in the world. Please don’t spoil it if you visit. Please don’t bring any westernised attitudes, and the “no trespassing” and “private beach” nonsense to this island. Lovely.

It is situated just five kilometers northeast of Carriacou and is known for its tranquil atmosphere and stunning beaches. The island's small population relies mainly on fishing, offering visitors the opportunity to observe local fishermen at work.
Majority of the year the island is peacefully quiet but during the few festivities people can come out and come over from neighbouring islands to have a great time. If you like music, people and food then Whitsuntide, Maroon and Christmas will be the best times to visit. The small island by it's name "petite" can be your spot for a half day hike or run. You'll be able to complete an entire on foot tour of the island in less than half a day. There are a few mobile transports on land if you wish to do so. Getting there: find the black bay river in Concord on your preferred GPS app, the road to the bay runs along the river, but isn’t marked on GPS. Driving northbound on Western Main Road, look for the sign to concord falls at a 4 way intersection. Turn left toward the coast at the intersection (opposite concord falls). If you blink you’ll miss it. The road is drivable for about 300 m; pull off to the side and walk the rest of the way - an easy 20 minutes along the river. The bay is absolutely beautiful and well worth the adventure. It’s unspoiled compared to the beaches further south. We were the only ones there for a couple hours until some friendly locals showed up. The sea floor is rocky here, you’ll need tight sandals (chacos were perfect) to wade, swim, and walk in.

BB's Crab Back is a waterfront restaurant in St. George's, Grenada, offering stunning views of the sea and Port Louis. Run by celebrity chef Brian Benjamin, it serves Caribbean and Grenadian specialties such as crab backs, curried goat, callaloo soup, pumpkin fritters, and vegetable curry. The informal spot with a breezy roof terrace is popular among tourists and locals alike for its signature dish - the crab back.
Wow, if I could add more stars I would! My absolute favorite place to eat on the entire island. We had the Fruit Punch, BB’s Crabback, the Signature Goat Curry, the Barracuda, the fried sweet potato, and the flaming banana dessert and not a single item disappointed. All were excellent dishes, but the barracuda, goat curry, and the Crabback really stood out to us. Phenomenal food, excellent service, beautiful location, and welcoming environment. I only wish we found it earlier on in our trip! We will definitely be back. Thank you BB and family!

After eating at various locations on the beach, it was great to eat Grenadian food. We didn’t get there in time to try the oil down - they had sold out so we have to go back again. Staff was nice and it was a great location on the water.

I had a wonderful time at the restaurant! The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was unbeatable. The chicken lunch special was a perfect choice. The stewed chicken was perfectly cooked and seasoned, and the sides were all delicious. I especially enjoyed the plantain and the dasheen. The chicken was not spicy at all, which was perfect for me because I don't like spicy food. The service was attentive and friendly, despite being understaffed. Our server was happy to answer our questions about the menu and to let us know how long our food would take to arrive. The atmosphere was the perfect complement to the food. The restaurant has a beautiful view of the harbor, and we could see the fish swimming in the crystal clear Caribbean sea.😘 I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious meal and a relaxing atmosphere. I understand that the service was slow due to being understaffed, but I still had a great experience. I would definitely come back again.

Grenada Underwater Sculpture Park, located along the west coast of Grenada, is a unique and popular site for diving and snorkeling. Created to give natural reefs a break, this underwater art gallery features over 75 monumental sculptures made from long-lasting pH-neutral cement. The sculptures, including the impressive Vicissitudes depicting life-size figures of local children holding hands in a circle, are designed to encourage coral growth.
We visited Granada from our cruise 🚢. We had a wonderful day at a spice farm and then hit the beach. We took a ⛵ out to the sculpture garden in the water. We snorkled. It was really murky so hard to see but we had time to see 4 sculptures. Amazing.

Worth going, but if u have the choice, don't go on a cloudy, rainy day...as visibility will be poor... take your personal snorkel gear if u have it, as a bit hit and miss with the boats equipment, however that may be dependent on whom u book through...beautiful speed boat ride along the coast...
Philippa S — Google review
Went diving here, from the boat 'High Time'. The sculptures are a bit eerie but beautiful at the same time. Its a great idea, I would like to see more of. Its a shallow depth and makes it harder to miss anything. I got a sunny Caribbean day, which helps. No underwater camera unfortunately. Lots of fish down there too. I got separated from the group and a large school (>100) of small barracuda type fish swam towards me and past me as if I was one of the statues. I was in the middle of the swarm. What a great moment. The beach around this underwater park is nice and also worth a visit

Situated on a 395-acre plot between the parishes of St. Patrick and St. Andrew, this 17th-century plantation provides an immersive experience into organic farming, goat dairy, and tree-to-bar chocolate making. The estate also features a heritage museum showcasing its history and an open-air dining room serving signature Grenadian dishes.
The guided tour was amazing! Our guide was very knowledgeable about the chocolate making process and the history of Grenada. As part of the tour we got to taste the cocoa bean, cocoa tea and the final chocolates they produce. There is also a nice lunch restaurant there which had great views of the estate and delicious food

We just turned up and went on a Classic Tour. Guide was brilliant, really knew his stuff and made it really interesting. Bought some chocolate which was delicious! We had the set 3 course meal in restaurant, which was OK. Was not a fan of the caged birds - not in this day and age. There are goats, but not that much more to see. But I would definitely recommend visiting and doing the tour.
K T — Google review
After visiting Grenada for some many years and now living here I visited Belmont Estate for the first time last week wishing I'd done it sooner. The enthusiastic young man was very informative on the from seed to packet process revealing the secrets of why Grenada has the highest quality chocolate in the world citing some very famous elite brands who use their cocoa. We got to see the entire process culminating in seeing chocolate being prepared for selling and for someone who doesn't like dark chocolate I was amazed at how smooth and had just the right amount of bitterness for my taste. The Cocoa Tea at the end of the tour was amazing, again not my favourite thing but this was spicy and very chocolaty with cinnamon, cardamom and other spices resulting in a deep desire for more. After the tour we dined in the restaurant and again highly recommend regardless if you did the tour or not. The split peas and green banana soups were amazing and the entrees with accompaniments in a buffet style again delicious and very high quality. The waiting staff were Michelin Star in level of service adding to the overall experience of quality and professionalism coupled with friendliness. The from start to finish experience is something I highly recommend that you try as one of the pillars of Grenadian society and commerce and the fact that most staff have worked there for many many years speaks volumes on the Belmont Estate....just go.

Great tour guide of more than 20 years explained all about the 400 acre estate and chocolate. Talked about all the local fruits and crops. Tasted chocolate drink and bars. Was educational and informative.

Would absolutely recommend the Tree-to-Bar tour at Belmont Estate! Our farm guide was Jay who showed us how the abundance of fruits are harvested from the land and even let us cut some mangoes off the trees ourselves. When we got back to the property, Jay explained the process of making the chocolate and helped us customize our own bars to take home. The tour ended with a 3 course meal at the restaurant, where each dish contained some kind of chocolate that was farmed and transformed on the estate!

We did a guided tour with Jason yesterday. It was very informative and super interesting! Check it out for yourself, you will not regret going. :) Yes, their chocolate is delicious too! The tour is only 16EC and we did have to wait for a tour guide to become available (about 15min) but it was totally worth it.

Sails Restaurant & Bar is a popular dining spot located on the picturesque waters of one of Grenada's renowned harbors. The head chef is celebrated for crafting a diverse menu featuring international dishes with a Caribbean twist. From garlic shrimp skewers to flame-grilled lobster, the extensive menu offers an array of delectable options. Guests can savor their meals while taking in the stunning views and then explore the local shops and cafes around the harbor's edge.
The place is nicely located at the waterfront of the harbor and offers a spreading view till Grand Anse Beach. The friendly and helpful waitress explained the local specialties and recommended the Calypso Conch which was fantastic as it was the first time I ate it. I took the very delicious coconut shrimps as appetizer. The IPA from the tab is rich in taste. As dessert I chose espresso with a shot of local rum. Unfortunately my stomach could not take more of this first class food. All in all Sails was a very good experience and absolutely worth to join again. Thanks a lot to the entire staff.

Wonderful experience for dinner. We sat by the water and enjoyed a couple hours with 5 star meals clearly crafted by a chef, and not just a cook. Every item our table of 4 had could have been considered fine dining at any well known restaurant. Will 10/10 recommend eating here. So much that we have decided we will be back tomorrow for lunch!

Local soup was great. Beers were cold. Main course of fresh caught tuna blackened with roasted potatoes was really nice. Overall would recommend and go back.

Amazing spot love, sauce side can be added to some items like wraps or burgers without an additional charge, or ask if the item should be made with extra sauce. Aside from thar very clean espically the rest rooms.

We had a fantastic meal at Sails during our time in Grenada. The food was excellent—fresh, flavourful, and beautifully presented. The standout dish for us was the seafood crepe, which was absolutely delicious and perfectly prepared. Service was equally impressive. Our waitress was lovely—warm, attentive, and clearly well trained. She made us feel genuinely welcome and took great care of us throughout the meal. Overall, Sails delivered a wonderful dining experience. Highly recommend it if you’re in Grenada and looking for great food and service in a beautiful waterfront location.

Beautiful restaurant right at St George’s Harbour. One dish I can recommend everyone to try is the lobster. Can’t remember the exact name but it’s one of two lobster dishes and the other is a wrap/roll. A bit pricey but guaranteed to satisfy you. Similarly to almost anywhere in Grenada, servers and polite and attentive. A must visit if you’re in St George’s. Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays tend to be the busiest days.

This caribbean restaurant Patrick's Local Homestyle Cooking Restaurant has a wide variety of dishes to choose from, all made with fresh and quality ingredients. There's something for everyone on the menu, making it a great place to dine with friends. Plus, there are some vegan options available for those who prefer not to eat meat.
Came here twice in the 4 days I was on the island. The first time I visited, the restaurant was extremely busy so the owner/chef ask if it would be ok to come back in an hour. When I returned I had a delicious meal of rice & peas and several vegetable side dishes. I went back 2 days later to try the vegan oil down (which isn't a daily menu item) and I was surprised to find the restaurant empty. Again the food was tasty and there was a good portion size.

I was happy to eat at this restaurant. I've heard good reviews, but it was my first time eating there. The menu is a true reflection of Grenada's home style cooking. A dear luv of mine was visiting from the UK and recommended that we had lunch at this restaurant. The meal was enjoyable and the sorrel drink was very delicious.

I visited this location twice on my recent visit to Grenada. You can certainly tell the chef takes their craft seriously from the flavor and freshness of the dishes. I had the pleasure of trying the oil down which I have no complaints about. The rum punch was strong but definitely worth trying.

I've had breakfast, lunch, and dinner here. The family is incredibly hospitable and friendly. The food is authentic and made from scratch, so be patient and enjoy your drink while your meal is being cooked. I highly recommend their rum punch and Grenadine dishes. Be nice to them, tip them well, and thank them for accepting credit cards. Enjoy!

Second visit was 50EC for lambi We ordered the tapas for 65EC, Ginger Pork for 25EC, local lime juice for 10EC and Fruitcake for 10EC. All in all quite good the Tapas is perfect for trying a lot of local dishes, and my favourite was actually the lime juice out of everything it was well balanced not too strong but not weak either. As per the island life expect slow service. We were the only people at 1pm and left around 3pm. This is normal, island life as told to you by a white guy.

I visited this restaurant on a Thursday afternoon for lunch and was pleasantly surprised by the experience. When we arrived, we were the only diners there, which made for a quiet and relaxed atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, providing fast service—we received our food within 10 minutes. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and delicious. Overall, it was a great dining experience, and I would definitely recommend it!

This is a must-try restaurant in Grenada. You can come here any time of day and have an absolutely delicious, authentic, homemade meal. For breakfast, try the green banana porridge and you will not regret it. For lunch or dinner, the rum punch to drink plus the creole fish or jerk chicken… so good! Highly recommend this place!

This small but charming museum provides insight into the production process of chocolate, from cocoa bean to chocolate bar. Visitors can learn about the history of cocoa and its manufacturing while enjoying delicious chocolate treats at the on-site cafe. The museum also features a boutique with various items made with cocoa in Grenada.
Beautiful experience with amazing guide. Drinks and food are not expensive. They treated us really nicely and gave us an amazing presentation and showed us everything and gave us samples to try from beans to the chocolate. 🍫 I absolutely recommend. There’s a place to take a seat and chill, it was not too busy. Loved this place and experience, can’t wait to do it again 🥳🥳🥳 a special shout out to the guy who did our chocolate presentation!!

House of Chocolate is truly a unique experience nestled in St. George's. The soursop ice cream is simply divine. The avocado ice cream was smooth. The kids loved the chocolate ice cream. The ambiance is welcoming and you are sure to leave more knowledgeable than when you first arrived. The staff is helpful and will greet you with a smile. So many items to choose from so that there is something for everyone. Its a great family friendly stop where you can support local entrepreneurs by purchasing their goods at reasonable prices. Its always worth a repeat visit.

Ok. Maybe I was expecting too much and did not appreciate that this is just a chocolate shop with a bit of history thrown in! When we visited the small shop, there was obviously some sort of talk going on and you could not really move around very easily. Bit of a shame as we made a special trip. But like I said, maybe expecting too much (disclaimer, we had been on St Lucia and visited their Hotel Chocolate place so maybe that skewed our expectations!).

Great experience! Can learn how chocolate is made and the process of making the cocoa nibs. Educational but not boring at the same time. Baked items are extremely delicious amd reasonably priced. The nutmeg ice cream is so good we are still dreaming of it and even contemplated revisiting just for it! A must visit. Only downside: because of the location, parking is difficult

This is not a full tour. It's a chocolate store but you get a really good, free mini tour. Our 'tour guide' James was amazing- informative and funny. Parking isn't ideal. They have WiFi on location and accept cash and card. There's a good variety of chocolates, souvenirs as well as pastries and ice cream.

River Antoine Estate Rum Distillery is the oldest functioning water-powered distillery in the Caribbean, dating back to 1785. Visitors can take guided tours to learn about the rum-making process, from sugar cane harvesting to fermentation and bottling.
Really enjoyable short tour. You get right up close to the action. Fascinating to see how the run is made. If you’ve never tasted 80% proof rum then you need to go here.

Most authentic distillery I've seen with all original process and procedures. Good tour explaining it all and as much rum as you can sample at the end. Its very strong!!
Stuart R — Google review
Wonderful tour into the past as you see how rum should be done. We had a fantastic tour guide as she walked us through the process of making some of the greatest rum in the world. Watching the old mill and fires do their job the same way it was done 200 years ago was great. Then a few samples at the end topped off a great tour.
James R — Google review
This is a small distillery using traditional methods rather than a large-scale industrial distillery. The guided tour lasts roughly 30 minutes and costs $15US. There's no requirement to book in advance. The tour showed all aspects of the rum-making process and ended wth a tasting of 2 rums (69% and 75% alcohol rums). Both are available to buy in 750ml bottles. The distillery is accessible by public transport. From St George's you'll need to take the bus to Grenville and then get a second bus to La Poterie.
H — Google review
Guide was great and learned how the oldest rum factory in the Caribbean is made and is considered a small factory. 69 percent was very rough to drink and the 75 percent was smoother. However you cannot take the 75 proof on an airplane because it is considered highly flammable.
TIM P — Google review
We booked a couple of excursions with Janelle from St James Travel and Tours, the first one was an Island Tour. Andy gave us a wealth of information, we had a full run down of the history of Grenada and every stop we done. We done the Island excursions, this covered Concord Waterfall ⛲️ Chocolate Factory 🍫 Rum Distillery 🥃 Grand Etang 🐒 Nutmeg Museum, a lovely meal and drink. The excursions cost £125pp. The mini bus was fully air conditioned and clean. Our second excursions was snorkeling to the Underwater sculpture Park with First Impression snorkeling, this was an experience of a lifetime! The whole team were amazing, especially Kurl who instructed me through the whole tour. We were given a great insight into the whole process of rum distilling from start to finish! We also got the opportunity to purchase some Rivers rum at a good price.

Waterfalls
Concord Falls is a picturesque waterfall located in the village of Concord on the west coast of Grenada. The area is surrounded by lush tropical greenery, including nutmeg and cocoa trees. Most visitors only see the first of three waterfalls, which is easily accessible from the road. However, more adventurous travelers can follow a country track to discover two additional waterfalls known as Au Coin and Fontainbleu.
Cool finds in the gift shop. Found a man that catches a sells crayfish. The water is super deep and has undercurrents and the staff made sure we didn’t go into the deep. Beautiful and serene. No cell service once your there and until about halfway back down to the main road.
Katherine S — Google review
We visited the Concord falls while on an excursion in Grenada today and it was good. This is a smaller waterfall with a natural pool you can swim in. There are locals who also jump from the top of the falls which is part of the show at the location. Roads up to the falls is bendy and narrow so care needs to be taken if you're driving.
Sanka I — Google review
Had a fantastic time at Concord Waterfall this afternoon. We were fortunate that we had the place to ourselves. It costs EC2.50 per person to enter, you park on the road and make your way down steps to the waterfall (there are 2 sets of steps belonging to 2 different people so take your pick) there are a few souvenir shops opposite the steps, everyone we met was helpful and friendly. I would recommend wearing water shoes because there are stones and rocks as you enter the water, we were glad that we had them and it made a big difference to our enjoyment. It's a great experience and well worth the journey getting there.

Beautiful falls, steady and forceful! Narrow roads to get there, please honk before sharp turns. The bar owner by the entrance was nice and friendly, gave a lot of insights about the area. Great local spices on sale. I got the ginger nutmeg barbeque sauce, nutmeg, and others.

It's a pretty waterfall and good shop for drinks and snacks and souvenirs. The road is very narrow one car only in places up to waterfall but it's worthy of a detour. The are monkeys to see but sadly in cages

This was a great visit. We were trying to also see Fontainebleau falls, but with the rain that day the rivers were swollen. Concord is still a great view and the water is very refreshing. Decent venue with a quality control issue. Wide range of beers suggests they are having a decent crack but three beers were off/infected. Barman didn’t seem to care. Fortunately an employee came over to hear my concerns. English style beers were decent. My mate enjoyed the ginger beer though I thought it tasted ‘packet made’. Good range of food and nice vibe with music videos. Hope they can fix their problems and educate staff.

This is an excellent place to relax and enjoy some delicious local brews. You can sample the beer or cider before ordering a glass. The prices are very reasonable, with beer and cider costing EC$10 and cocktails priced at EC$20. Service was fast and friendly. The best burgers in the Caribbean. I've spent 4 years cruising the Caribbean and still struggle to find anything that comes close to the value and atmosphere of this place. It's obviously no hidden secret as it's packed a lot of the time. Service is as good as it gets in the Caribbean, the value for money is excellent and the owner operator is a legend that everyone respect's. I don't really drink beer or cider and I still love this venue so much I changed anchorage so I could walk there. The only downside is the felt on the pool table that is free to play, is loose. And I'll probably fix that myself next time I'm in to show my appreciation. Congratulations to the owner and all the bar and kitchen staff, it's the people that make the place and you're all a legend in my opinion. Respectfully Australian Brad.

The Grand Anse Craft and Spice Market is a popular spot for tourists in Grenada. Located within walking distance from the beautiful Grand Anse Beach, it offers a variety of local trinkets and souvenirs. Visitors can explore vendor booths offering beachwear, spices, vanilla, and more. The market also provides dining options with excellent local cuisine such as oil down and stew chicken. Additionally, nearby attractions include the House of Chocolate where visitors can learn about the history of cocoa production.
A great, clean beach with lots of options, including water sports. A little in the middle is the Spice and Craft Market, a center run by locals where you can get good snacks (e.g. in Joan's Bar), meals and drinks. You can also buy clothes, souvenirs and spices. The clean, well-maintained toilet facilities and shower facilities are very pleasant. Esther's Bar has particularly excellent cocktails and rum punch! Highly recommended: the rental of deck chairs by the friendly, attentive Trevor (on the beach to the left of the Spice and Craft Market and just before the Radisson Hotel). He also offers a drinks service with the deck chairs. Addendum: And yes, you will be approached by salespeople or waiters from the stalls. But everyone is friendly, never pushy. If you don't want something, you can just say no and it's fine. Sometimes nice conversations still arise.

I was not that impressed, the area was clean and safe feeling but there were only a handful of vendors with little merchandise.. There is several food vendors there offing snack food and beverages but over all if your near by and have the time stop in otherwise don’t make a special trip. FYI There is a pay restroom just down the beach at a public park .. if your on foot and in this area I would recommend the Spiceland Mall near by ..

0 stars! After our tour of the underwater museum we decided to shower and browse the spice market where we were met with a hostile attitude from one of the women in the markets making homophobic slurs against us for no reasons. We felt unsafe and left immediately. Defintely would not recommend visiting. This put a damper on the rest of our trip as we always felt the need to look over our shoulders.

Great for local presents, spices, etc, but go when a cruise ship is in, as more vendors. Do not be put off by them trying to get you to look, vendors happy to just show you what they have with no pressure to buy.

We like walking so this was one that we were keen to visit so we could do the trails. Lots of parking, beautiful views. Got there early to beat cruise ship buses. Decided to do the lakeside walk first as that was supposed to be an easier one at only 2km. Found the start of the trail easily enough. But it quickly turned into a bit of a nightmare. VERY muddy, you are literally climbing over tree roots and pushing through vegetation. You are unable to see the lake at all for any sort of orientation. The path often seems to disappear completely which leaves you with a bit of panic! We are really fit but struggled in places and in the end we did turn back as we were so unsure if we were even on a path or not. Did not even attempt the harder walks. Such a shame. The only wildlife we saw was on the way back to the car!

Lance Aux Epines Beach is a picturesque spot located in Prickly Bay on the southern tip of Grenada. The beach offers a relatively narrow stretch of white sand and calm turquoise waters, making it perfect for swimming and relaxation. Visitors can enjoy gazing at azure waters and moored yachts while lounging on the beach.
Love this beach. Not huge, but perfect if you are looking for somewhere calm, beautiful and idyllic. Water is so calm…Love it.
S F — Google review
Small but beautiful, you get to watch a beautiful sunset over the mountains! The sand is perfect, and the water is pretty calm. Against the backdrop you see a lot of boats, still beautiful but I do wonder about pollution. I would recommend you spend about and hour or so, enjoy the peaceful and serene offerings of nature. Bring your own food and drinks, didnt see anything nearby.
Andy S — Google review
Amazing beach for swimming or sun bathing. Turquoise calm water where you can walk out a few yards and water will still be at your chest. Have lunch at Sand Bar or walk over to Calabash and have a drink at the bar. One of the best beaches in Grenada.

Small but beautiful beach

Nice little beach, water is calmer than most other beaches in the area. You do see boats but they're not too close to the beach. Unmarked parking lot with limited spaces at the south end of the beach. Nice quiet beach, compared to the busy Grande Anse beach and the extremely loud bar at the Morne Rouge / BBC beach.

Quiet and secluded, definitely in my top 5 beaches on the island.

Perfect beach for my small dogs to swim and plenty of shade near the water. Nice calm water with no surf and shallow enough for kids.

Savvy Sailing Charters Grenada offers an exceptional sailing experience around the beautiful island of Grenada. Captain Danny and his crew provide a safe and informative journey, sharing their extensive knowledge of the area. The pristine and spacious boat ensures a comfortable trip. Guests can enjoy exclusive sunset tours or opt for half-day sails with snorkeling opportunities to explore vibrant coral reefs and underwater sculpture parks. This private charter is perfect for those seeking a unique and personalized sailing adventure in Grenada.
Captain Danny, and first mate Sam are the real deal. This sailing and snorkeling expedition was out of this world. They brought us to a beautiful coral reef to see tons of different fish, I mean TONS while snorkeling. They then brought us snorkeling to an underwater sculpture park. Sam took the smaller boat to pick us up lunch, incredible Grenada fish and chicken, rice and veggies, plantains, out of this world lunch on the boat, then brought us to the incredible clear waters of Grand Anse, we got doo swim to shore by choice, and the other half of us took the small boat in with a cooler of drinks, then swim / take that boat back to the sailboat for a relaxing cruise to port. The rum punch was insane. 10/10 experience, please come to Grenada and experience this!

One of the best experiences I’ve had over 40 years of various charters around the world. The boat and crew were the real deal, Walter and Richard made for a wonderful day, sailing and snorkeling for four of us. The experience of being on a wooden boat in the Caribbean, as part of a 200-year-old tradition was special. I cannot recommend this highly enough
Larry B — Google review
Had the best experience with Savvy Sailing for my birthday back in April! Our group of 10 was treated like VIPs from start to finish. The crew was incredibly professional and friendly, the boat was super comfortable, and the whole vibe was just amazing. The snorkel spots were beautiful, the food was delicious, and the fresh rum punch was a highlight! This was hands-down one of the best charters I’ve ever been on. Highly recommend!
Tyler W — Google review
Booked a private half day charter to sail and snorkel the underwater sculptures and then head to flamingo bay. We sailed with Kenrick and Richard, who were both fantastic. Very knowledgeable about the island and history, and shared many sailing stories with us. They had all kinds of refreshments and brought some freshly baked snacks onboard for us. We had a beautiful day on the water and we highly recommend it!

This was an unforgettable part of our vacation and the Savvy Sailing team is incredible. So friendly, welcoming, attentive and fun to hang out with! The food and drinks were an added plus :) would recommend this (and I would say it's a must do) while you're in Grenada!

We had the pleasure to spend the day at sea with Captain Walter and first mate Sam. The boat was beautiful, the sea, magnificent, and we could not have been better taken care of. Also, onboard lunch was amazing. Highly recommend, a great vacation day.

Grooms Beach is a lovely and somewhat secluded beach located in the south, near St. George. While there is some ongoing building work nearby, the beach offers plenty of shade and great snorkeling opportunities. Access to the beach involves a short walk from parking, which includes a reasonably steep slope with concrete steps. Despite being slightly out of the way, it's popular among locals and families for its tranquil atmosphere and opportunities for snorkeling among fish and reefs.
Love this beach! A really nice family beach that are mostly visited by the locals, alot of times you can be all alone. Nice snorkling amongst fish and reefs just outside. A little bit hard to find now when alot of building projects are ongoing around. A real shame that the bar no longer are up and running.
Kicki R — Google review
The shorter beach southwest of the new Silversands Beachhouse Resort is not actually Groom's beach according to a local we talked to. The pictures for this Gmaps location show also the actual Groom's beach that has been taken over by the resort, Monkey Bar and another hotel. There is practically no place to sit at high tide.
Holger P — Google review
A lovely beach which is surprisingly secluded considering it being in the south and close to St George. There was quite a bit of building work happening when I visited. That mostly impacts getting there and there was some noise from building work. Plenty of shade available on the beach and it was great for snorkeling. Parking a short walk away but a reasonably steep walk down a slope/concrete steps. The bar nearby is worth stopping at
Chris F — Google review
Avoid at high tide! No amenities. See the steepness of the beach in the photo. There was a private property with a rope boundary such that the public beach area was very limited at higher tide. There are no businesses or amenities here. The La Luna resort next to the North has signs posted “no entry. Guests only.” They have a day pass, but they do not want people walking in from the public beach. One of our kids got scratched up on some sharp rock/reef. Locals regard this as a dog beach. I heard there might be good snorkeling... if the water was flatter. Of all the beaches I’ve visited in Grenada, this was the only one I do not want to return to.
M. H — Google review
I actually love the place as long as not too much people are not on it. The resort La Luna is just gorgeous and the beach semi private. Beautiful white sand and calm water a nice place to go diving as well

This two-mile stretch of golden sand and crystal-clear turquoise waters invites you to indulge in a variety of activities, from jet skiing and parasailing to paddle boarding and snorkeling. The beach's soft sands are perfect for leisurely walks or simply unwinding beneath swaying palm trees.
Took a water taxi return 15usd from the cruise port. Taxi runs every 15 minutes all day. There are beach chairs you can rent and drinks and food plus a little market that you can pick up some souvenirs at. Grenada is famous for their spices so they have lots of spices to buy. If you walk along further on the beach, you can find some grape trees that have lots of shade where you can put your beach stuff down and stay there. 1usd to use bathroom

David Beach, also known as Daavee, is a tranquil and secluded beach in Grenada. It is particularly lively on the August Monday Public Holiday when locals gather to play cricket. The rest of the year, it offers a peaceful atmosphere with a few fishing boats dotting the shore. Visitors can enjoy soft sand, gentle waves, and warm water perfect for swimming at sunset. The beach features rock formations and diverse wildlife including birds, crabs, and dogs.
On a Tuesday we had the entire beach to ourselves for a few hours. Gentle waves good for bodysurfing. Restroom available.

While the trip up to the beach was full of twists and turns, David Beach did not disappoint. We arrived for a sunset swim and marveled at the gentle waves, the lukewarm water, and the sand as soft as velvet. The rock formations and the wildlife (various birds, crabs, and dogs) were cautious but friendly. My only sadness was for the man made trash left on the beach. Quite a lot of plastic bottles and food wrappers along the shore. There were not receptacles, but people should take back with them what they brought. So if you’re planning to visit with family or have a picnic, I recommend bringing a plastic bag so you can easily transport your refuse back to the car.
