Hostel
Nestled in the heart of Brussels, Sleep Well Youth Hostel offers a casual and modern setting for budget-conscious travelers. The property is conveniently located near popular attractions such as Rue Neuve shopping street and the Belgian Comic Strip Center. The hostel provides modest dorms and private rooms with hardwood floors, spacious wardrobes, and desks. Guests can enjoy free Wi-Fi, a game room, a bar with a terrace, complimentary buffet breakfast, and bike rental services.
Absolutely loved it! For a hostel, it is very had to tick all the right boxes. But Sleep Well did it damn well. As starting from the reception, it was a very welcoming and seamless experience. In spite of its prime location, the street it was on was peaceful and the environment inside was lively but not too loud. The rooms were squeaky clean and everything was spotless. The breakfast also stood out with a wide variety of options and was served hot. Overall, a very comfortable and a pleasant stay, and would definitely return!
Pradiptya B — Google review
I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights and I was pleasantly surprised! One of the girls at the reception I spoke to was very helpful, private room was clean and the size is enough for one person and a short stay. They offer enough food for breakfast and that’s great it starts at 7am. If you consider leaving your luggage before check in, bring your own padlock! Otherwise you can leave your bags in a room, but everyone has access to this and can grab any bag, so that’s not safe at all.
Hanna M — Google review
This is a great place to stay! I highly recommend it. It was the best hostel we stayed at during our trip. The beds were great, it was clean, we booked a private room and the bathroom was big and clean. We register earlier and they had many comfortable spaces around the property. The location was great and close to the North station. We love the building they had many areas, we took advantage of the laundry service, and there was like a game area, and a shared kitchen. And last but not least the were very welcoming, and Samantha was super helpful, she checked us in, and also help us with our check out. Always with a great attitude and smile.
Rosamaria V — Google review
The hotel is somewhat good value for money, with a great location near metro and tram stations and walking distance to the city center. The staff is welcoming and friendly, and the breakfast is simple but good. The room has no AC, so on hot days it could be a problem. Our double private room was on the second floor and facing the street. The room insulation is not very good, so we could hear the vehicles on the street and people often chatting loudly on the sidewalk. The beds and linens are comfortable, we asked for an additional pillow and they said they would try to provide it, but never did. The housekeeping is basic, some days they would even make the beds, only take out the trash, but the room was clean overall. The access to the rooms is also a problem; the staircases are locked, so we are obliged to take the elevator every time, even if we are going up or down only one floor. And there's only one elevator available, so we had to wait a lot. The wi-fi was very poor.
Will F — Google review
Nice hotel. Veri close to the old city center. It has a big street with shops close to it and metro and bus station also. The room was nice. The hotel has also a place to keep u bags if u go early ot have a late flight. We paid 1 euro the towels each and that’s what don’t really like. But other than that was good.
GOHAN_ L — Google review
Not a bad hotel but not the best. You definitely get what you pay for. Luggage storage is a room anyone can access but felt fine leaving our carry on bags. Booked the superior twin room - beds were awful, very firm and room was hot. Only 2 towels provided, no hand towels. Bathroom was ok clean wise. Room had a good amount of storage. Had a tv but 90% of channels didn’t work. Location was good but the immediate surrounding area was not very nice. Breakfast was actually pretty good, very simple but good enough to get the day started. We probably wouldn’t stay here again but it wasn’t awful for the price.
Daniela — Google review
Overall a good experience but slight improvements would have made it a 5/5 Cleaners come every day so overall it's a very clean place in the rooms and common areas. Good price, comfortable beds, free breakfast every day. 24/7 check in. There was absolutely no AC in the rooms or any kind of ventilation which made the bathroom really stuffy as well as the room during the night if there were many people. I understand they are trying to be eco friendly but even ventilation would be good. Plates for breakfast were not cleaned very well, you could still see some residue on them. Also first time seeing a hostel have a lockout period (from 11am until 3pm you can not be in your room). I understand it's for cleaning but they could have divided it by floors at least to make the time shorter, but I was out anyway so it didn't bother me personally that much.
X X — Google review
I had a very bad experience. I booked a 6-person dormitory room for 2 nights, not to stay overnight, but to get some sleep during the day. Unfortunately, this turned out to be impossible because you are not allowed in the room between 11 AM and 3 PM. I only found this out during check-in. The woman at the front desk was anything but accommodating and kept rudely pointing me to the policies. I suggested paying extra or letting the cleaners do their job and skip my bed, but none of that was possible. A big 1- for customer service. I checked out immediately and booked a hotel instead. I strongly advise staying away from this place.

Youth hostel
Youth Hostel Jacques Brel, named after the famous Belgian musician, offers streamlined rooms and dorms along with a laid-back atmosphere. The hostel features a charming courtyard with wooden garden furniture and is conveniently located near cable car and tram lines, making it an ideal base for budget-conscious travelers exploring the capital of Europe. With its relaxed and international atmosphere, the hostel provides opportunities to meet new people through various activities and concerts at affordable prices.
All the staff I spoke with were lovely and helpful, even when language barriers presented themselves they successfully helped me with any questions I had. The room I stayed in for two nights was a 6 person all-female dorm—it was clean and had enough space to move around even when a few people were awake. The bathroom had a bit of a smell, but it was much bigger than I was expecting and seemed clean otherwise. The complimentary breakfast was good: cereals, cheeses and breads, multiple spreads (even a vegan chocolate one), coffee and teas, and some other options. It was small, but a great free way to start your day. The hostel is an easy 20 minute stroll from the Grand Place area of town. Very happy with the stay. If I’m back in Brussels and need a hostel, I would come back here. NOTE: Bring a lock with you! There’s locked space under the beds, and if you use the luggage storage downstairs (after/before checkin/out) you’ll need your own lock.

I stayed in a four-person room with bunk beds. The bed was very comfortable, and the radiators were on all the time, keeping it warm. The bathroom was cleaned every day. On the other hand, the breakfast was quite poor — I didn’t really like that it lacked variety. It was the same menu EVERY SINGLE DAY (egg, cold cuts, cheese, butter with jam). The entrance area was very nice, with couches where you could sit and relax, and the courtyard is great for unwinding. There are social spaces with board games and a bar where you can hang out with friends or family. Great location, in a central area from where you can easily walk around the city center.
Cristina I — Google review
I stayed at this hostel for 5 nights and found it to be a nice cosy place. The room itself was fairly small but adequate for four people and the beds were decently comfortable. The bar area is a nice addition with a good selection of drinks/ snacks & a pool table. The staff were super friendly & welcoming, taking the time to answer any questions about my stay etc. One thing I didn’t like is the laundry facility, it’s only one separate washer & dryer and this was especially inconvenient when I had dirty washing to do but couldn’t get the chance to because it was always in use.
Ben S — Google review
Lifts are not available in one part of the building - so you may have to drag your luggage a the way to 3 floors if you are unlucky. You make your own beds - linen is provided. You must bring your own towels and padlocks. Rooms and bathrooms are spacious. Water station is available only on the ground floor. Light breakfast is provided - options are fruits, breads, 1 croissant, spreads, juices etc. Location is super central, so that gives an edge - Brussels city centre can be reached in 20 minutes by walk.
Neelesh B — Google review
This hostel is in a really great location. I was in walking distance of some great restaurants, great hookah, lounges, and great places to take pictures of local landmarks and it didn’t matter which direction I was going. It seemed like it was pretty central so if you had to stay somewhere, I would definitely give this place a shout. They also have washing machine so you can wash your clothes inside if you need meI would say that the breakfast isn’t necessarily the best so I’d probably go out in town to get breakfast and I’ll spend money on the breakfast package and there’s some great restaurants within a really close walking distance and you’re not far from the garden over there. That is really beautiful so it definitely say this place is worth to stay.
Christopher D — Google review
DO NOT BOOK HERE. I have been to tens and tens of hostels while traveling across many european countries for multiple MONTHS and this hostel is by far the WORST one I have ever been to. Terrible customer service, the man at reception is much more interested about his phone and my wallet than actually doing his job, and was very rude when I asked him questions. The environment around the hostel is extremely bad with a lot of homeless people harassing you every minute.
Thomas S — Google review
I stayed 1 night here. It was really good service and clean and tidy. Location is also good. Breakfast is also cool. Definetely recommended.
Deniz N — Google review
Nice stay. Good hostel, pretty affordable for what you get. Well located in a safe area and the infrastructure is well cleaned up. The big plus is the breakfast included: good value. You get qualitative products, far from the cheap breakfast you might assume. I removed one star because I booked a WOMEN ONLY dormitory and somehow ended up having 2 men in my room. An employee said that there was no other room available. It could be better to just not accept them if the only option is to put a man in a women only dorm. I was okay with it, but accepting someone just to book every bed and make more money causes uncomfortable situations for women purposely choosing a women only dorm. Overall, I had a good stay and would recommend this place for anyone visiting Brussels.

Hostel Generation Europe in Brussels, Belgium offers basic rooms and dorms with a relaxed atmosphere. It is conveniently located near Grand Place and Brussels Airport. The property features a buffet restaurant, a bar with free evening entertainment, a garden terrace with beautiful views, and a 24-hour front desk. The eco-friendly youth hostel provides top facilities such as an organic breakfast, free Wi-Fi, a kitchen for cooking, and recreational activities like foosball and pool.
We lived in a 4-bed dorm with 2 bunkbeds. Each room has its own washroom, bathroom and a small area to get ready with 2 sinks. Quite a cozy place for people backpacking through Brussels. It's located around 2 kms from the city center and will be a 20-25 walk from the grand place.
Mitali K — Google review
A really nice hostel, we went for a private room with single beds. It’s was clean, the bathroom was modern and generally great price for the location and facilities. Loved the sustainable focus of the hostel but setting the showers to run for about 5 seconds at a time before you had to press the button again was frustrating and impractical especially when attempting to wash your hair and fumbling for the button with shampoo in your eyes… The facilities were good, a bar and kitchen on site where you could cook yourself or buy an evening meal or snacks. The breakfast was exceptional, lots of variety and coffee machines, they also restocked the food often which was ideal. It does get very busy on a weekend though as expected. The location was great for walking to the city but the local area was a little sketchy and run down. Safe enough but I felt quite uncomfortable at times. The biggest downside was the service at the front desk. For the most part the staff were lovely and helpful but there were a few members of staff who seemed like they were being bothered when we asked questions about check in or the baggage storage system. Not the friendliest but it could have been worse and didn’t spoil the trip. Also on Friday and Saturday night it got pretty noisy in the early hours between 1am and 3am but I guess that’s expected on a weekend. Nice all round hostel for a good price. Highlights were breakfast, the facilities and the price. Lowlights, the surrounding area and not so ideal customer service from some staff.
Kerobinson90 — Google review
The hostel was in a good location. There was a grocery store 4min walk and close to public transport. Got the economy twin private room. The room was big and had windows. Which I liked. Lots of sunlight during the day. Toilet and shower room was separate was also a plus. The breakfast was very nice. The only thing bag was that the door was hard to close without making sounds so every time someone closed the door you could hear it. Also our room was close to the road so some commotion you could hear it. Easy check in and out. The last night. It was raining very hard and I was awoken and realised that my window was slightly open. Also Another room’s window was banging the whole time so I did not get much sleep. Also the kitchen that they provided on the website I booked the hostel did not look the same. There was no kettle and the pots were not clean. And the pot we were supposed to boil water didn’t look clean, microwave water in a cup to boil water. This hostel had people from young to old. It was like a family friendly place. Felt safe.
Naomi H — Google review
The location is great, only a 20+ minute walk to Grand Place. An amazing perk is the gated parking area, if you come by car. The breakfast was quite good for a hostel. Our room was facing a busy street, but nothing can be done about it. All in all, we were very happy with our stay.
Nenad T — Google review
Booked in advance to stay over in my campervan. Parking lot was secure and pleasant grounds. Water and rubbish bins available. Able to use hostel facilities which are very clean. 25 mins walk to Grand Place. I loved the area, great north African restaurants and takeaways.
Julie H — Google review
Hair in the bathroom, filthy mattresses with stains, mold in the bathroom and around the windows, chewing gum stuck to the bed, and bed sheets with disgusting brown marks – absolutely revolting. From the first moment, the room felt dirty, unhygienic, and unsafe. This hotel should be shut down immediately. The location makes everything worse. The hotel is in a district infamous as one of the most dangerous in Brussels. If Brussels had something you could call a geh11o, this would be the first. Locals warned us not to walk alone, especially at night, and to avoid people on the street. We never felt safe for a single second. We complained at the reception about the unhygienic conditions and were told the rooms are “thoroughly cleaned.” When we came back, it was obvious this was a lie. The same hairs were still on the bathroom floor, the carpet had not been vacuumed, the beds were not freshly made, and the mattresses still had stains. Nothing had been cleaned at all. This is without doubt the worst hotel I have ever stayed in in my entire life. I urge anyone reading this: do not come here under any circumstances. For your health, your safety, and your sanity – stay away.
Felix — Google review
Very perfect place to be as hostel. Remember you can't stay there after 7 days.. So max 7days in this hostel. After 7 days you are forced to check out... REMEMBER, otherwise it's great place to be.
Getrude M — Google review
The hostel is in a good location and easily accessible by public transport. It is spacious, bright, and has all the necessary facilities. However, one thing that disappointed me was the cleanliness. When we checked in at night, the room was not clean. There was a lot of dust here and there, which made us sneeze. The next morning, we asked the lady at the counter to clean the room, and she agreed. Unfortunately, when we returned in the evening, nothing had been done.

Lodging
Urban Centre City Hostel is a well-located and comfortable accommodation in the heart of Brussels, Belgium. Situated just 900 meters from City Hall and Kings House, it offers convenience with its proximity to various dining options, shops, and supermarkets. The spacious rooms and dormitories feature double beds or bunk beds for a peaceful night's rest. The modern en-suite bathrooms come equipped with hairdryers, ensuring a comfortable stay.
We spent two nights in a 3 bed bedroom. We arrived at 10am and the sweet receptionist called Wijdane let us do the check early because our room was already ready. The beds were really comfy and although they were doing renovations in the street, the hostel was not noisy and we could sleep very good. They also offered us to keep an eye on our luggage. I recommend the place!
Anxo M — Google review
Super cheap and walking distance to city centre which is very nice. If you’re a woman be careful tho because this area is surrounded by men who will stare at you. Also the rooms do not have AC and get very hot (when we opened the windows bugs came in) and the “luggage storage” is a table in the lobby.
Stella B — Google review
We did not have a good experience staying here. Our room was on the 4th floor with no lift and very narrow stairs, which made carrying trolley bags extremely difficult, especially when going up and down multiple times a day. There were no fans or iron provided. Cleanliness was average, and the washrooms had visible stains. Overall, we would not recommend this hostel.
Nicck — Google review
We got a nice private room for two. It’s 15’ walking to the station and there are a lot of shops and markets. It’s true you could hear people but we really slept alright. The area it’s not really that bad but as a girl I should let you know it’s full of men who would stare at you just because even though I was with my boyfriend. I would recommend if you’re looking for something cheap and the staff were all kind to us.
Sujata — Google review
Stayed for one night in a double room with my friend. Room was spacious but the windows were right next to the fire stairs which made it so that the room got almost no sunlight. The hotel is cheap and only a 10min walk away from the centre however the surrrounding area does not feel safe. Also got bedbugs :( But it was still alright for one night as a budget traveller. Would not recommend for long stays though. Kind staff.
Onur — Google review
I had a terrible experience at this hostel. The management was extremely unfair and unprofessional. Some guests were smoking in the room, and when I asked if it was allowed, they said it was fine. Later, I was kicked out at midnight with nowhere to go. Keep in mind, I’m a solo traveler, barely 18, from Italy, and I was in a vulnerable situation. I strongly advise everyone to avoid this hostel at all costs.
Muzammil N — Google review
A couple months ago I stayed at this hostel as a female solo traveler. I picked the cheapest option (8 bed mixed dorm). I was early for check-in but was willing to wait. Let me emphasize- I DID NOT have a problem with waiting for the scheduled check-in time. However, it seemed as if I must've come off impatient to the receptionist, even though it was not my intention. I say this because the dorm I got was all males, middle aged. This was not what I had booked. Hence why, I'm assuming that they felt rushed and put me in whatever hostel was readily available. Needless to say, I felt uncomfortable and at times unsafe and, I was unable to get proper rest. I do not recommend this hostel to any young female solo travelers!
Giovanna R — Google review
Only stayed 1 night. Got a private room. The walk to the hostel from the Brussel midi train station was not pleasant. The staff were very kind. But the guy forgot to give my passport back and I was also tired from travelling totally forgot about it after he gave me the key card. They only returned it to me the next day. Instead of bring it to me right away. WiFi ok. The room was okay. But the mattress was so soft and didn’t get much rest on it. Also you can hear people talking, closing doors and the beeping sound every time you open your door. Really need ear plugs or you will not get a good night’s sleep if you are a light sleeper. The good thing was the bathroom was very spacious and they did provided a hairdryer. Also location was 15min walk to the main tourist place and 15min walk to Brussel midi station. Near by there are bakeries, restaurants, fruit stores and cell phone stores.

Excellent stay at this hotel, staff were great and helped us with directions etc. Room was spacious with own shower room. Room was very clean, as was the rest of the hotel. Within easy walking distance of bars, restaurants and sights. Very happy with our stay for what the room cost.

this hostel had the most comfortable beds ever. the room was clean and aesthetically pleasing. my only issues is that there were no privacy curtains — i stayed in a mixed dorm and i kept waking up throughout the night to see a man staring down at me from his bunk. obviously it’s not the hostels fault that this stranger was watching me in my sleep, however privacy curtains could have made me feel a tad safer. I only stayed here for one night, if I had stayed longer I would have maybe requested a room change. the area surrounding the hostel is a tad sketchy but you are located close to the city center, so that was good.
Kate — Google review
We stayed 1 night and it was good. We slept with 6 in one room. The room was good for.sleeping. good shower and clean. The mattresses where soft. Some liked it, some didn't. The bar was fine. We could play a game of cards there and have a drink with our older kids (11,14,16). The breakfast was good. Not to much choice, but enough. Don't expect french croissant here! You get the better Brussels waffle. We could use the locker room to enjoy the city a bit more. And the staff was very friendly and helpful!
Jasper H — Google review
The room was very clean, and the shower and toilet facilities were spotless as well. However, if the room is full, it feels quite small to accommodate everyone comfortably. The room itself is a bit dark, with yellowish lighting, and the window cannot be opened. Breakfast was fine, I would rate it a 5/10. Overall, the hostel is decent for the price — after all, it’s a hostel. What I liked the most is how clean it was. In my opinion, there are definitely worse hostels out there. 💛7/10 :) Brussels is so expensive omg

We were disappointed in this hotel. Staff acted very rude and laughed when we came back after our room card did not work. The lack of empathy is a bit worrying. There was only one towel in our two person room so we had to get back. The breakfast was extremely busy and they had no coffee…can you imagine? Cleaning staff entered the room without knocking last day when we were still dressing up. Checkout took a long time, seems like they find it difficult to handle the large number of people staying in their hostel. Also totally disliked the atmosphere in the lobby and the bar. I would not go here ever again. They said the parking is not available but they do have a parking with one car standing there, so very strange. One big mess.

Friendly staff, great location. Private room for a family of 4 was clean and spacious with a great view over Brussels. Reception area always a hive of activity with a couple of computers for the kids to play games on and a photo booth! Would highly recommend

For me, MEININGER hostels are always the best, a cut above all other regular hostels. They're clean and welcoming, always easy to find. I found the 6-bed room clean, and the bathroom and shower were in excellent condition. I definitely recommend this hostel to everyone.
Gabriele M — Google review
Its not possible to open the windows for “security reasons ” which is understandable BUT the staff should check the age, cuz a group of girls, 20 years old won’t do anything against their security regarding windows. Cuz of this we cant open the window to get fresh air. Its logical that the room gets stinky and overheated. The staff was not that polite to be honest, telling that “its not that the room doesn’t get ventilated ” which didn’t give me a nice feeling.

Brxxl 5 City Centre Hostel is a modern and budget-friendly accommodation in Brussels, offering sleek dorms and private rooms with free Wi-Fi. It caters to introverted travelers, families, or groups of friends with mixed and female-only four-bed dorms, all equipped with their own bathroom. The eco-friendly hostel provides a great opportunity to explore Brussels as it's located in the city center and offers free walking tours.
Very closed to Brussels Midi station (about 8 mins) - prime location. Very well connected to all tourist attractions. Very clean and neat hostel, fairly priced and the staff was very helpful. Each and every staff member was very supportive. Just because one of my roommates was snoring loudly, I was unable to sleep the whole night. Then I requested the receptionist in middle of the night to change my room and they did; they changed my room the next morning. I would highly recommend this hostel.
Sanjyoti M — Google review
Closer to the city center and safe. Friendly staff. But better if could add hangers for hang towels. The brightness of light is not enough while you are in the bed. Could not sit on the bed because the frame is going overthe mattress. Really hot inside during the summer. Better to add a fan
Piumi N — Google review
The bunkbeds had very little distance in height between the top and bottom bunk so you were always bumping your head. Also no curtains on the beds so not a fan of that either. The shower and sink weren't draining properly so you could take like a 2 minute shower. I paid for an all women's dorm and was placed in an all male, realized in the morning that the 3 people who came later were all guys, was offered no refund nothing for their mess up. Luggage storage was free. Location wasn't horrible, but there was remodeling of some sort when i was there.
Marya V — Google review
There was a TERRIBLE smell in the room that didn’t go away even after leaving the windows open all day. The cleanliness was very poor, the shower curtain was disgusting, and the bathroom felt dirty, so we didn’t even want to use it. A noisy café next door and the bed was uncomfortable. Overall, it was impossible to get any rest in this hostel.
KEROUAD C — Google review
Someone drilled my padlock, but apparently my luggage wasn’t stolen. However, it became almost impossible to open it again with the same keys. When I informed the staff, they looked very nervous and denied having any tools to open padlocks. If nothing was stolen, my theory is that, since there’s no cancellation policy, they might try to scare guests into leaving early, so they can free up rooms without involving the police, as no theft technically occurred. Either way, it was a very bad experience. I do not recommend staying here.
Ariel P — Google review
1 hour away from Amsterdam, but the place was great! The girls in my dorm were super chill, the toilet was always clean, and they had a super nice shared area (kitchen/ lobby) . The bed itself WAS HELLA comfortable, and all the staff where super nice with me, including the people that were volunteering and mainly Coco, she was super friendly and available, she was an amazing host! Overall I believe it's super worthy, I would come back :)
Yūrei — Google review
No curtains, no privacy. Only one outlet per bed, and no light. Don't be fooled by the pictures, it's worse than it looks... Being here gives me a great sense of unease. This place is not worth that price.
Unnamed — Google review
Very clean and neat Hostel, fairly priced and the staff is helpful. There was one grumpy staff member that was not the friendliest but didn't affect the overall experience. The rooms come with a small balcony, a clean bathroom and 2 pairs of bunker beds. All in all I recommend it for a cheap and well located hostel.

Brussels Hello Hostel is a charming accommodation with a terrace, bar, and TV lounge. Housed in an impressive art deco building at 82 Rue de la Source, it's accessible from Brussels Midi/Zuid train station or Louise/Louiza metro station. The hostel is conveniently located near major attractions like Grand Place and Manneken Pis. With a cozy bar area, work section with WiFi, and attentive staff, the hostel offers modern amenities for a comfortable stay.
The atmosphere in the hostel is nice and the staff is very friendly. The offer included standard buffet breakfast, and by booking a separate room for three, we also got our own well-equipped kitchen to use for meal making. Overall a great experience, would definitely come back.
Emilija R — Google review
The rooms are not the best, but it's a hostel, so don't expect too much. What I love about this hostel is that it's a short walk from the train station. I stayed here for one night in August 2017. I was backpacking through Europe and had to get to the airport in Brussels the next day so I could go home to America. Breakfast is included, which is a plus, and the staff were all friendly and helpful.
Jeanie S — Google review
The hostel is in a rough area that I would not recommend walking to at night from a train station. It is right next to the train station which is convenient and the only positive I found. The rooms were small and had only one outlet in the entire room with an extension cord for others to plug-in. Therefore, you are not guaranteed the ability to charge your electronics and it could create issues with alarms. It is not very clean-looking. The showers feel very dorm-style with only a stool inside. This does not make changing an option since everything inside the shower stall gets wet. It also is a must to bring shower shoes or shoes to wear around the room. The breakfast is also meager with only toast, butter, jam, biscuits, and cereal. There is no source of fruit and can feel very dry with no cheese or meat included. No lockers for your stuff. Everyone arrives back at the hostel at the same time and leaves in the morning around the same time so it can be tough to find an open shower or toilet. I did not feel comfortable for my two nights staying.
Seeley S — Google review
Stayed here in early June in a group of 12 for a University trip. The place was nice and clean with very helpful and friendly staff. There is access to maps in the reception area and information on things to do in the city. It’s about a 30-40 minute walk to the centre of Brussels but there’s a tram station a minute walk up the road which will take you straight there. The bar is a good bonus too - it’s well stocked and serves until 12. Overall very friendly atmosphere and I would definitely recommend.
Georgia B — Google review
It was a pretty good hotel. The bathrooms could have been cleaner. But the beds were very comfortable and the hosts were extremely friendly. The location is ok. It was fairly easy to get to city center from the hostel. They also have a bar in the hostel that made it easy to socialize.
Frederick C — Google review
My girlfriend and I stayed here in a private room for three nights. While the location is quite out if the way from the attractions in Brussels, the hostel itself is quite good. Overall we found it clean and quiet. Our room was a good size with a half decent bed as far as hostels go. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the breakfast options are decent, and the bar is a nice touch. Compared to how expensive other hostels are in this city, Hello Hostel offered a decent stay for the price. To get to and from town center, I found renting a scooter or a bike was a good way to make the trip a lot faster.
Aaron P — Google review
Big and friendly hostel outside the busy city centre. I stayed one night over at the Hello Hostels in Brussels and my staying was very enjoyable. The hostel was not extremely full which was nice and the staff was very helpful and professional. Rooms and amenities were clean quite modern as well. The only negative part is the location, it can be a bit far away from the centre, on the other hand, it is very affordable.
Samuele M — Google review
Hello hostel is very convenient, right next to a train station and about 10 minutes from the city center. Price is good for even a small room, better in a shared room. The bar area is great, but the outdoor bar area is lively weekend nights, can make sleeping a challenge if you want your window open. Definitely check it out if you are on a budget or wanting to meet fellow travelers on your journey.

The MEININGER Hotel Bruxelles Gare du Midi is a vibrant hotel with hip bar, shared kitchen and lounge. It's perfect for travelers looking for a great place to stay in Brussels with all the modern amenities.
What an unexpectedly good hotel/hostel so well situated next the station! Nothing disappointed me, many things surpassed expectations. Lovely “hostel” vibe with guests kitchen and good facilities for families. Room and bathroom was immaculate and very good value if you don’t mind sharing as a sole traveller.

Great hotel with nice staff and decorations. Comfy beds and clean bathroom. We had a private twin room and the only thing I didn't like was the temperature in the room. It was a tad bit colder than I would have liked. There was some kind of thermostat in the room, but it didn't help. Either way, I enjoyed my stay there, would recommend!
Baican S — Google review
I booked directly through the official site, which, as always, proved to be the cheapest option. The hostel's location is incredibly convenient, situated right next to Gare Du Midi. Arriving late from Charleroi Airport, I appreciated being able to walk directly to the entrance. The amenities were excellent and catered perfectly to my needs, especially the secure locker access. The staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating, allowing me to stay in the common area and use the facilities well past check-out, which was essential since my bus was scheduled for the late evening. An added bonus was the super affordable a la carte breakfast menu. Overall, a highly recommended stay for its unbeatable location and hospitable service.

We arrived early but there wont be a problem as there are space for us to store our luggage, so that we can go out to explore the city. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The place is safe. We found a very nice restaurant - Chez Yam’s just 6mins walk from the hotel. Reasonable prices with a very nice taste of food. We went back the same restaurant twice just to enjoy the food and the environment. 😊 Thank you for the nice

We stayed for 4 days and we have been very pleasant. Te beds are really comfortable, the rooms are very clean and the enviroment is very young coded. We would have liked to have a place to hangout more freely, with darts or pool, but overall it was very calm and cool. The sofas and shared spaces are okay. But we had one small situation, in our shared room, a guest accidentally occupied one of our beds, as he didn’t notice the sign indicating it was taken. But this is not up to the staff. We loved and enjoyed our stay. Highly recomended.

The hotel was ideally located a short walk from Brussels midi railway station. The room was clean and functional, but had no complementary water or coffee etc and was much too hot with no way to adjust the temperature. Breakfast was fine, but a bit of a scrum as the hotel was busy.

Definitely one of the best stays in a hostel so far. Very secure, very friendly staff and speaks English. Very clean and affordable. Best part was their locker system at reasonable rates for your after checkout time. Would definitely recommend.

I had not stayed in a hostel previously and was here as part of the Global Journey for Tomorrowland in a quad room. The hotel handled the crush of guests staying very well with additional front desk help in the courtyard. I was assigned room 106. This room is over the front door and was without air conditioning. Windows open from the top and this was the only way to cool off the room. I would NOT recommend staying in this room or any others near or over the front door as people come out to smoke and talk til the wee hours of the morning (3am). I asked the people to move and then asked security and the front desk who did nothing. Came down again, spoke to the front desk manager who said he would request guests move away from the building. After two nights of no sleep I went to the front desk to change the room. I did not think it would be possible given how full the hotel was. I spoke to one agent who spoke to a manager who said they were full. I waited and spoke to the manager who ultimately found a room to switch into (332) that was fantastic.

The Legacy by 2go4 City Center is a trendy hostel located in the heart of Brussels, offering both dorms and private rooms. Situated on the central square, guests can easily immerse themselves in the city's vibrant atmosphere. The hostel features unique decor with antique furnishings and quirky displays, creating an Instagram-worthy setting. Additionally, it provides eco-friendly accommodations and offers free walking tours to explore the city.
Had a pleasant stay at this hostel. The location is excellent—close to everything you need in the city. The staff at reception were very helpful and made check-in easy. Clean sheets were provided, which was much appreciated. I stayed in a mixed 4-bed dorm; while the room was okay and comfortable, it didn’t have curtains on the beds, so privacy was a bit lacking. Overall, a good choice if you’re looking for a central and friendly place to stay.

Amazing hostel! We got a female dorm room of 6 and it was a little bit tight with all the bunks but the balcony view was amazing. It is very close to everything yet on a street that isn’t too loud or busy. It was an affordable stay as well. The most notable part, though, was the living space and kitchen. It was a very clean kitchen and a very beautifully decorated eating and chilling area. Had a great stay!!
Aspen — Google review
Great location, amazing community area design, beautiful reception service, kitchen available 9-23.00, lobby is a masterpiece. I was in the 6 woman dormitory room: cleaning can be better. Please, discuss your time to check in and check out, because it can be a problem.

The location is perfect however the rooms lack proper air conditioning and fan, there are lots of mosquitos that kept biting and they had no insecticide. It would be very helpful if they had a small laundromat within the hostel too. There are lots of room for improvement.

A nice place to stay! I spent 3 nights in the female dorm. It’s a quiet hostel where I was able to work remotely (good internet connection and a comfortable common area to sit in). The reception, elevator, kitchen, and public space are closed from 11 PM to 9 AM. The hostel is located in a nice neighborhood, close to a shopping mall and a cozy coffee place. One night the power went out, so there was no internet, but the staff tried to find a solution and by the morning everything was fixed. Also very convenient: it’s only a 15-minute walk from the Flixbus stop

So, we booked a 6 people all female dorm room, but got an all female 4 people room, which sounds nice but the room really sucked. Not only were we not able to fully close the window, from the outside a piss smell came in. The bathroom of the dorm was so small. The beds were wobbly and one of the ladders nearly fell down. Our room was really small, we couldn’t stand next to each other and weren’t really able to place our trekking backpacks anywhere. The fridge was so disgusting! There was mold and a weird smell. The kitchen and the lounge also smelled really weird. The casted (teflon) pans were scratched, which can be poisonous! The water tasted and felt very weird, it was so disgusting that we had to buy some at the store for the night. Otherwise, the lounge was very cool and nicely decorated, they even had some games like UNO and Cluedo. The staff was very nice and it’s very close to all the cool shops and to the North Station. And on our last day, we were able to leave our luggage in a closed up room.

We booked on hostelworld. The place is very conveniently located to the happening places of brussels like the old city square, statues and the best beer, chocolate and waffles places . Pros: Location; The receptionist explains you about the place very well and luggage room is also available. They are very kind; Cons: Reception is open only from 9 to 23 hrs; Lift doesn't work at night; Towel costs 2 euros so bring your own towel

Youth Hostel Van Gogh (Chab) is a budget-friendly accommodation in Brussels, located near popular attractions like Le Botanique and La Grand Place. The hostel offers both dormitory-style and private rooms, along with amenities such as a shared kitchenette, billiard table, free continental breakfast, free WiFi, and a communal living room.
Decent hostel with the decent pricing, the staff was friendly and receptionist explained what to visit and helped me on the first booking of the train. The location is a bit off, but you will get trains/busses to the central with a 4min walk
SRAJAN R — Google review
We’ve traveled to around 50 countries worldwide, and this accommodation was by far the worst. You pay nearly 100 Euros (~£85) a night, then they charge an extra 2 Euros per towel. Ridiculous! On arrival at 1 pm, we were told check-in was at 3 pm, which would be understandable if they were cleaning and preparing the room during that time. However, at 3 pm we were handed a pile of bed sheets and pillowcases and told to make our own beds. As shown in the attached photos, the mattresses were more suited for school gym classes, and the pillows were worn out and uncomfortable—definitely not ideal for your neck. The bathroom was smaller than those found in train sleeping carriages. There was no TV, and nothing about the accommodation justified the 100 Euros/night price. When I asked via email what justified the cost, their response was laughable: we were "in the heart of the capital of Europe." We come from the capital of UK, London, where you get true value for money. Or just a week ago, we stayed at a fully-equipped, quiet Holiday Inn in Germany for £52 a night, and THAT was value for money. Last year we had a great room in a SPA hotel in Amsterdam and paid the same amount.... Avoid this hostel at all costs!

Looks modern and nice. You get breakfast included. Spacious for a hostel. Plenty of food shops around. At night the surrounding feels dodgy, got to be very careful. Overall it's been a great stay here.
Niko G — Google review
Quite a normal experience with some caveats. It was not cheap, 50€ per night with so called breakfast. Rooms were ok, except for bad smell from the toilet, shower very small, but ok for normal-sized guys. Soap or shampoo dispenser ok. Breakfast was on a budget: bread, cheese, 2 sausages, machine for juices, barely working cafe machine. Don't expect hot dogs or scrambled eggs. Yes, bring your own towels, that's extra 2€ on top. Place is ok, 10-15 min from Gare du Nord. Access with NFC cards.

Yes the rooms are clean good location and polite staff. Only one issue a towel charge is very minor but still its the little things at times.

location is good but neighborhood isn’t safe they give you clean sheets and making you to make your own bed. for towels you need to pay +2 euros. no toilet in the room you need to walk till at the end of corridor. and they make so weird people to get in. i always stay in hostels. this time the people i shared room was really scared me. they cant make this randomly settling rooms.
Beyza C — Google review
Bad experience. I booked a bed in a 4 bed female ensuite dorm through Hostelworld. The room was not ensuite, the bathroom was outside and shared with other rooms. I expressed that this was not what I booked/paid for, but there was no intention to give any type of solution. Just that if I wanted a single room I had to pay the difference (of course). They weren't aware their website has the wrong information and pictures, and that in Hostelworld is wrong as well, which makes me think that maybe they do it for this reason, you think you're getting something, and when you realise you are not, not much you can do. I left and booked myself a hotel. I wouldn't go back, poor customer handling. The receptionist was super lovely and nice though. The area is not the nicest either.
Camila Y — Google review
Rooms were clean- the door of our room was not fully opened. Bed sheets had holes in it ( how many times were re-used) - no fan in the rooms - with the heat wave alert and all day walked under sun and got scorched, we noticed the air circulation in our room turned off - no air circulation, no air conditioning, no fan in the room while it was almost 30 inside made our one night stay miserable. Service: reception is very polite and accommodating Location : the area seemed dirty and ugly a bit but walking distance to Gare de Nord station and many historic places.

I recently spent a night at this hostel in Brussels, and overall, it was a decent experience. I stayed here for one night, and here are my thoughts: The place was nice and generally clean, with satisfactory rooms and toilets. However, considering the price, I expected a bit more in terms of facilities and services. One of the major drawbacks was the difficulty in finding the entrance. It was tucked away and not very well signposted, which made it a bit frustrating to locate, especially after a long journey. One unique aspect of this hostel is that it's located within a sports club. This means you won't be bored in your room as you can easily step out and enjoy some sports activities. It's a nice feature for those who enjoy staying active during their travels. However, there were some minor inconveniences. For instance, there was no shower curtain, which resulted in water getting everywhere in the bathroom after a shower. Additionally, the layout of the hostel can be confusing, with many corridors and access points, making it easy to get lost. On the bright side, the hostel is conveniently located close to public transport, which makes it easy to explore Brussels. As a solo traveler, I also felt safe during my stay here.
Ravindra D — Google review
Well it’s a very average hotel, I gave it 3 stars cause I felt like sleeping in an already used room, I mean it didn’t look dirty but neither clean, the restaurant is not good, and also is very tricky to find your room, have to walk miles and follow precise instructions, it seemed like a labyrinth.

I am currently staying here for the New Year, and it is such a wonderful place. I don’t understand how the other reviews mention staff being rude or not accommodating, because they have been so kind to me. It is clean and quiet, and the beds have thick sheets on them (I’m usually cold, but I slept peacefully and comfortably). The train station isn’t far away, a brisk 10~minute walk, and the land is beautiful. As a solo traveler I feel safe here, and any question I have had, the staff have been very knowledgeable.
Rose M — Google review
Would not at all recommend this hostel at all. I stayed here for two nights. Reception was of no help at all. After realizing the bathroom was not clean, I brought it to the attention of them in the evening of the first night, the next morning, and the next evening. Both evenings, they said that the cleaning crew was no longer there. But I would’ve expected something to be done after I said something to them in the morning. It looked like the floor of the bathroom hadn’t been cleaned in months (there were lots of stains including hard water stains that wouldn’t have been there had it been properly cleaned even that week. In addition, there was no hand soap. Basically, it is a place where they simple don’t care about guests. The reception was always rude every time that I talked to them. This was the most expensive hostel that I stayed at and it was by far the worst experience that I have ever had. I have seen that when other guests have left bad reviews, they respond basically gaslighting them. That should be your number one clue to not stay here.
Laura D — Google review
The location is Nice in the middle of a forest but quite far from the centre, the cleaning personnel is (the guy) very mean and the rooms shared have toilets that are not being cleaned…the breakfast is non existent…

The second weirdest place I've ever stayed at. Entrance was hard to find (at least that you have to enter at the sport center front). Overall it was okay for a night, but the rooms are simple, the showers are weird (you have to continuozsly push the button for water) and the rooms are not that soundproof

Hostel Bruegel is a laid-back traveller's haven, perfect for solo travellers. Offering low-key dorms and private rooms, the lively bar/nightclub and free breakfast make it the ideal spot to relax after a long day of sightseeing.
Very spacious room, comfortable bed, beautiful view of the city - you can actually see the top of Grand Place’s tower. Quiet for a good night sleep. The pressurizing shower is a bit annoying, but you get used to it! The other things make up for it :) Breakfast was good. There was bread, spreads, cheese, juice, cereals, yogurt and a coffee machine. I just missed more protein - scrambled eggs would be perfect, everybody likes it. Facilities are great and the common areas are very pleasant: you can use a mini kitchen with a microwave and a fridge, there’s a locker room for the day of check in and check out - to keep your luggage, which is very useful!, there’s a water fountain and a toilet. My only observation is: we had some difficulty to get inside on the day of our arrival. Even though I told the staff I’d need a late check in, I couldn’t reach them to open the door for us. I suggest that this policy be reviewed, since it’s not possible for every tourist to make phone calls - international plans don’t always include this service - and there has to be other ways of contact, especially when staff already knows what time the guest will arrive. Besides this situation, everything else was great, it doesn’t even feel like a hostel. I recommend it. Greetings from Brazil!

Lovely hostel. Staff were great, the spaces are clean, tidy and generally well maintained. Breakfast does the job. An easy recommend at this price point. Loses a star for having few working mens showers and all the loud people outside during the night when the window needed to be open as it was so warm.

Auberge de Jeunesse Bruegel is a well-run, thoughtfully designed hostel in a prime location—just minutes from major train and metro stations. I stayed in a 4-bed male dorm with an en-suite shower. The room was spacious, spotless, and well-equipped: clean sheets, large lockers, personal reading lights, and individual power outlets. Each floor features a quiet common area, offering peaceful corners away from the main lounge. The dining room serves a decent breakfast, and there's a small kitchen available if you prefer to cook your own meals. Staff clearly prioritize guest comfort, and the overall cleanliness is impeccable. My only minor critique is that the bottom bunks could use more head clearance. This is one of the most functionally sound hostels I’ve experienced—no flashy gimmicks, no unnecessary quirks. Just solid, reliable hospitality.

Great stay - small tidy rooms - shower in the rooms and a basin - great free luggage storage facility before and after stay. Lovely lounge areas on all levels and a great outside area!! Breakfast rocks & It was free & healthy / thank you 😀😀

The location is great—central and walkable—but that’s about where the positives end. The rooms lack AC, and mine had a door that didn’t fully close unless you yanked it, which feels unsafe. You have to make and strip your own bed, then carry all the bedding down several floors at checkout (which some other hostels do, but still). The elevator is finicky and doesn’t always work, so expect to use the stairs at least some of the time. The showers are easily the worst I’ve seen anywhere (worst part by far): you must press a hard button every 15–20 seconds to keep the water running (like an airplane bathroom sink), otherwise it shuts off; my shower door also didn’t seal properly, flooding the floor. No towels, bath mats (which would have helped with the flooding), or paper towels provided—just a sink and shower (no toilet). The common areas were dull, dusty, and had cobwebs, with zero atmosphere or activities. I also had to hunt for the “night exit” just to leave for an early flight (was never explained by reception, which just handed me a keycard and said when checkout was and where to bring the bedding). For the price, it’s not worth it—fine for one night in a pinch, but I’d absolutely stay elsewhere next time (very overpriced).

Exceptionally Functional Hostel with Thoughtful Design: Auberge de Jeunesse Bruegel is a standout hostel in Brussels. The location is excellent—close to train and metro stations, making transit simple and efficient. I booked a four-bed male dorm with a shower, and the setup was impressively spacious. Clean sheets, large lockers, personal reading light and power outlet—all the essentials are covered. Each floor has its own quiet common area with power source, and the main common areas are generous and well-maintained. The dining room offers a decent breakfast, and there’s a small kitchen if you prefer to cook your own simple meals. The entire space is spotless, and it’s clear they’ve prioritized guest comfort over superficial flair. The only minor drawback: bottom bunks could use more head clearance. Still, this is one of the most functionally sound hostels I’ve stayed in—free of flashy gimmicks and the inconvenient quirks that plague many others.

I understand safety concerns but calling an autistic person trying to leave the hotel in the morning suspicious and being rude to them because they go nonverbal (which is a part of my disability, I also have selective mutism sometimes) is not nice. I had do show my ID and had to say my room number. I'm fine with that but they were really unfriendly about it and I had a panic attack and they told me again to "cooperate". They then let me go but said to me I had to "cooperate" beforehand which was really scary for me. I told them -or tried- that I was autistic but it didn't matter, no understanding or patience. I tried my best and it was a deeply unpleasant experience. The rooms and the breakfast were okay, but I wouldn't go there again.

Hotel De France is a well-liked budget accommodation located in the heart of Brussels. It offers straightforward, yet clean and comfortable private rooms with complimentary Wi-Fi. The hotel's convenient location near Gare du Midi and the city center makes it an ideal choice for travelers seeking affordable lodging. Guests appreciate the cleanliness of the rooms, as well as amenities such as vending machines, free luggage storage, and late check-in options.
We stayed at Hotel de France for two days and had a pleasant experience. The room was quite clean, with a comfortable king-size bed, and basic amenities like soap were provided. What stood out the most was the excellent service. I urgently needed to work online for three hours and required a stable Wi-Fi connection – the staff kindly allowed me to use the foyer, which was very much appreciated. Thank you for your thoughtful support!

AVOID AT ALL COST IF POSSIBLE! Stayed for one night, had 2 rooms booked a couple days prior. Everything seemed fine when we got there, staff didn't interact with us but it was fine. We entered a room that looked like someone just left. Hair on the bedsheets and pillows, hair stuck in the drain and around the faucet and shower head. The bed wasn't made, only a couple of folded towels placed on the dirty bed which also had a few stains on them. There was a old cup of coffee and a plastic bag with molded bread and some drinks that weren't ours. I decided to 'clean' the bed as much as possible myself because it was late and we were super tired. After a while of laying down both of us started having a lot of itching around our bodies. No clue what that's about but we ended up sleeping on the ground with all the towels stacked on eachother. When we almost fell asleep after a couple of hours laying awake, the fire alarm went off. So yeah we didn't sleep at all. We paid €150 for this. I suggest going for a Ibis Budget for less than/same price.

DO NOT STAY HERE, it is not worth it. This is the absolute worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at due to: - Mouldy smell throughout the building - Bathroom door won’t close - No AC - TV doesn’t work - Shower leaks everywhere - Shower head does not stay put - Looks nothing like the pictures - Terrible service When I attempted to bring my concerns to the front desk the man at the desk yelled at me and said that it was his hotel. He then proceeded to physically assault me to try and take my room key away from me. He told me to shut up and get out, that I wasn’t allowed in his hotel. Will be filing a complaint with the police accordingly.

You paid for what you have. No AC tho. Can't leave windows open as it's in one of the busiest neighborhoods with street work in Brussels. But clean room, clean shower, comfortable bed. I recommend for a night to crash after party.

As general I like it. Good balance between price, location and quality. I've been there for one night with late check-out. Small convenient room with everything necessary. For 79€ exactly to Gare du Midi and 5 min. to downtown and what I had- really enough. For that price of course I don't wait for quality as 5 star hotel. I have to say- it was clean and no bad smell or bugs. Some not so very nice things: The window had view to one wall. But as I said- for 79€ can't expect better. As well the bathroom door is a slide one and don't close very well. As well there is no ledge/still so between bathroom door and the bed was wet after I took shower. It is also little noisy and may disturb some people. For me was not a problem. Some guest who met the modern world for the first time didn't close their doors and talking loud and played music. I did the reservation at the website of the hotel directly (not using booking or other reseller). At the site and in my confirmation mail was written 75€. At the front office I paid 79€. For me was not so important for 4€ but it feels as a lie.

Hotel De Fierlant is a charming property located on the southern side of the city, offering comfortable and clean accommodations. The hotel features a 24-hour bar, complimentary breakfast, and friendly service. While it may not be in the best location for exploring Brussels, it is close to public transportation options. Guests can enjoy amenities such as cable TV, free WiFi, and a pleasant outside terrace.
I have to say that everyone working at this hotel was incredibly kind and helpful. I have arrived a bit early for the check in but they let me in. I have really appreciated that kind gesture because we were so tired and it was a very warm day. The breakfast was good, with lots of variety. The room was a good size at my liking, good wifi. I was very pleased with my stay in that hotel and I will be back in my future travel to Bruxelles.

+ Quick check-in process + Included breakfast with oats, pastries, bread rolls, yoghurt, etc. + Friendly service + Great location, walking distance from Bruxelles Midi (south station) + Great value - Poor sound insulation in the room. Could hear street conversations. - The room was hot at night, even with open windows and heating turned off in winter. - The room door had an opening at the top.

The only good thing about the hotel was breakfast and it was just okay. The room had literal mold on the corners of walls. It was really cold the whole stay there. It looked dirty. Sounds from outside and inside were so well heard in the room.

Well located hotel, 15 minutes from Midi Station. Nice room, good comfy bed, good hot water pressure. Fridge in the room. The hotel has an elevator. The breakfast was good, they serve coffee. The hotel also has a bar. We stayed for 4 nights.

First of all, I have to say that everyone working at this hotel was incredibly kind and helpful. However, it’s clear that the hotel has seen better days. If you get a room facing the street, be prepared for a noisy night—there’s a nearby café, and it was nearly impossible to sleep before 1 AM on the weekend. The hotel itself felt quite dated. Breakfast was decent, but don’t expect any hot options like sausages or scrambled eggs

Sun Hotel is a budget-friendly option. The hotel keeper is nice and friendly. It's near a metro stop, but you'll probably want to walk to the city center. The hotel is clean and quiet. We were 3 and the room was a little bit small. The bathroom was tiny, it was easy to brush your teeth in the shower rather than the sink. Do not expect to have your beds done when you come back, they just cover them with the duvet. The staff was very friendly and kind, the guy in the reception speaks Spanish. The location was very convenient.

Avenue Louise, Brussels Avenue Louise is Brussels’ premier shopping and lifestyle district, known for its elegance and charm. Here’s why it’s worth a visit: What to Expect • Luxury Shopping: Home to high-end brands like Louis Vuitton, Chanel, and Hermès, as well as boutique stores. • Dining Options: A variety of chic cafes, gourmet restaurants, and patisseries for every taste. • Architecture: The area boasts beautiful Art Deco and Haussmann-style buildings, perfect for a leisurely stroll. Best Time to Visit • Midday to Afternoon: Ideal for shopping and dining with plenty of energy in the area. • Evenings: Enjoy a quieter vibe and beautifully lit streets. Getting There • Easily accessible by Metro Line 2/6 (Louise station) or tram lines. Limited parking, so public transport is recommended. What to Avoid • Avoid visiting on Sunday if shopping is your goal—most stores are closed. • Skip the area during rush hours as it gets busy with traffic. What to Experience • Window Shopping: Even if you’re not buying, the displays are worth admiring. • Nearby Attractions: Combine your visit with a walk to Bois de la Cambre or a tram ride to Place Stéphanie.

Smallfunnyworld Brussels is a charming hostel located just a short walk from St. Mary's Royal Church. The hostel offers a pleasant terrace, picnic area, and garden for guests to enjoy. Visitors have praised the cleanliness and coziness of the common areas, bathrooms, and beds. The friendly host provides fast and helpful communication, ensuring a comfortable and secure stay. Additionally, the convenient location near supermarkets and the city center makes it an ideal choice for travelers looking to explore Brussels.
My experience in small funny world hostel was just great! I spent two days there and I felt comfortable and secure. If you need to buy something, there’s a lot of supermarkets in the area and if you want to go to the center you just need to walk a few minutes, but everything is near by here. The common area, bathroom and beds were super clean and cozy. The host is very friendly and the contact was fast and helpful! I’ll definitely come back :)
Daniela A — Google review
I recently stayed at this hostel and feel compelled to share my experience to inform other travelers of the issues I encountered. From the beginning, there were serious security concerns. I was assured by the host that my luggage would be safe outside the locker, as it didn’t fit inside. However, during my stay, one of my bags, with the things I needed to move to this country, was stolen. The hostel’s security is severely lacking. The exterior door to the street was broken—a longstanding issue, apparently, that the building owner has neglected to address. The door to the hostel itself, meant to be locked by guests, was left unsecured (I do believe it was a member of the staff, but even if it wasn’t, should I constantly trust strangers to lock the door?) . Additionally, a disruptive guest who was asked to leave still retained or possibly discarded his keys, creating a risk of unauthorized access. One evening, the same guest, visibly drunk, attempted to enter another guest’s bed. I had to alert the host, who initially dismissed my call as a mistake. Only after I insisted did she come to the hostel. While the situation was unsettling, it led to a friendship with the other guest, the only positive outcome from this stay. The owner initially seemed willing to take responsibility, offering a refund for my stay (which she did provide) and expressing a willingness to discuss further compensation. However, when I followed up professionally to arrange a meeting, her response turned unexpectedly hostile. I received a series of aggressive, unprofessional messages, including personal insults, despite my calm approach. She even shamed me for staying in a hostel, implying that if I couldn’t afford higher-cost housing, I shouldn’t study in Belgium (mind you it was a temporary accommodation for 12 days while I was waiting for my student dorm to be ready). After years of sacrifice to afford this opportunity, I was left feeling degraded and insulted. Additional considerations, perhaps less significant but worth noting: Although close to the center, the neighborhood is clearly not a good one. The only toilet is located under the stairs in the main hallway, and there’s one shower for eight people (cleaned every other day, according to instructions given to the cleaning staff). There are no privacy curtains on the beds, the “kitchen” consists of a kettle and a camping stove with no microwave, and noise from outside is constant, with people frequently smoking right beneath the windows. Given the lack of security measures, and the deeply unprofessional conduct from management, I would strongly caution anyone considering this hostel, especially since if anything bad happens, it will be your fault for being “cheap” :).

(Translated by Google) Highly recommended!! the host was not present but left his contact details and in the hostel there is a boy who lives there for work reasons but who in exchange takes care of the reception, he was very kind and nice. Even though I had booked the room for 6 and there were only about ten people in the hostel, they gave us, since there were two of us, a single room with two beds, very very nice with a private view of the garden (we also found two welcome chocolates on the pillows). The kitchen was very clean, there was nothing to make breakfast so we bought something ourselves since there was a fridge. Very convenient location if you want to travel by public transport otherwise not very close to the centre, on the other hand it was just a few minutes from the Wolf street market and this was very pleasant. The only 'flaw' is the fact that the shower is, as soon as you enter the kitchen, at the bottom on the right, you can easily lock yourself in, it is very comfortable and large and there were free soaps available. The bathroom on the other hand is only one, small and narrow and was not left clean by the other guests present... unfortunately all sticky. I highly recommend this hostel if you want to have a peaceful stay (there were two families with small children), although the area behind the North station is not very safe. but if you avoid it at night there is no problem (Original) Consigliatissimo!! l'host non era presente ma ha lasciato il suo recapito e nell'ostello è presente un ragazzo che vive li per motivi di lavoro ma che in cambio si occupa dell'accoglienza, è stato molto gentile e simpatico.

The Atomium, a colossal stainless steel structure in Brussels, was the centerpiece of the 1958 Worlds Fair. It symbolizes peace, progress, and an optimistic vision of the future. The design is based on the elemental structure of iron and represents a shift towards using atomic energy for positive purposes. Initially intended as a temporary installation, it captured the hearts of Belgians and has become one of Brussels' most renowned attractions.
Structure from the old world expo. You are able take an elevator to the top and get views from the highest sphere of the structure. 360 degree view, and also with a restaurant up top. Afterwards you go back down and continue to part 2 of the structure with taking escalators and stairs to a couple of the other sphere sections. More history about the area, and some spectacle with it too. A nice place to visit
Hernan H — Google review
The Atomium is, without a doubt, one of the most stunning and unique pieces of architecture in Europe. Even getting to the site in Brussels, the massive, gleaming structure—a representation of an iron crystal magnified 165 billion times—is absolutely breathtaking. For that external view alone, the trip is entirely worth it. Taking the elevator up the central axis to the top sphere is a thrilling experience, and the panoramic views from 92 meters up offer a fantastic perspective over the city and the surrounding Heysel area. However, the overall experience inside the spheres was very different from what I had anticipated. I went in expecting a straightforward science museum, perhaps a deep dive into atomic structure and the history of the 1958 World Expo it was built for. While there is a permanent exhibition dedicated to Expo 58, which is genuinely interesting for history buffs, the rest of the tour felt like a delightful, if slightly jarring, contrast. Moving between the spheres via those long, tunnel-like escalators—which are a spectacular sight themselves, illuminated with dancing colored lights—felt less like moving through a museum and more like exploring a futuristic spaceship. One sphere, in particular, was home to a completely immersive, psychedelic digital art installation. It was loud, pulsing with light, and utterly captivating, turning the space into something like a high-tech art gallery rather than a historical exhibit. In the end, I'd say the Atomium is a good visit, but be prepared for an unexpected journey. You go for the iconic, monumental architecture and stay for the strange, often trippy, contemporary art installations hidden inside. It’s a wonderful landmark, just a wonderfully strange museum.

There's a huge historical significance behind the wonderful structure built for the world's fair. Google it then visit it proper. You can skip the lines by purchasing online for about €16 no more Or you can wait in line. It closes at 6pm on most days. The views are stunning there's lots of fun things to do once you visit the lower levels. I don't want to spoil it for you :-)

Beautiful tourist destination is Brussels, Belgium. There was a steady line of tourists enjoying the beauty of this modernist building. It is an important landmark in Brussels. It was originally constructed as the center piece of the 1958 Brussels Expo. Now it is a museum and an art center. When one stands under it one is likely to marvel at the huge symmetrical structure. The huge globes are interconnected symmetrically giving the building the shape of an atomic structure. Atomium is built in a very beautiful location, surrounded by fine gardens and a nice row of trees.
Dr G — Google review
Just such an amazing experience, the outside structure doesn't prepare you for how it is inside! Very easy to get to from Brussels via the Metro and when you reach Heizel / Heysel station Atomium is only a short walk away. It also looks like it has good car parking.

Well worth the trip out of the town center. We took the toot bus as this allowed us lots of options for exploring. Inside the Atomium was well laid out and alot of interesting facts. We didn't got to the viewing platform as the queue was really long about 45 minutes but you still get to go inside and enjoy the lighting effects they created. We went back layer that evening to see it in the dark as the toot bus was all day.

Vintage clothing store
Brussels Vintage Market is a monthly event held on the first Sunday of each month at Halles Saint-Gery. This bustling market offers a wide array of vintage clothing, accessories, records, retro toys, and furniture from around 40 booths and stalls. The charming 19th-century indoor market transforms into a haven for vintage enthusiasts to rummage through timeless fashion pieces and unique finds from 12pm to 7pm.
A super cozy place, perfect for spending time with friends and hunting for incredible vintage pieces! Located near the central station, it’s super easy to access. The vendors are really cool, and there are plenty of fun activities like tattoos and tooth gems !!! I 1000% approve, and I’ll definitely be back!

Good Sunday attraction for people who like fashion! There is a nice bar & small cafe with live music. So it’s the nice place for hangout too even you don’t want to shopping. But there was not many antique and vintage, more like secondhand clothes , some craft man’s shop , also some free market!!

Vintage market in a very nice building and special atmosphere. Selling mostly clothes, shoes and accessories. Upstairs second hand designers are showing their jewelry. Downstairs in the middle you can have a drink in the Chesterfield sofa and listen to good old music. But the prices of the clothes are just terribly overpriced, and the place is a bit overhyped. Really a lot of people, and it’s a mess to navigate in between.

Lots of incredible stuff at the market and very good quality. I bought this hat because it was sunny and I had only a steward bag I travel with to keep it light and no room to pack a hat which I also used in Athens at The Parthenon and walking around. No sun on my face and neck.

Aparthotel Adagio Brussels Grand Place is a contemporary apartment hotel located in the heart of Brussels, just next to De Brouckere Metro Station and 450 meters from Grand Place. The hotel offers bright studios and 1-bedroom units with free Wi-Fi, a gym, and a 24-hour front desk.
The perfect place to stay if visiting Brussels central. The rooms are very clean and tidy, and a nice temperature was maintained throughout. The microwave, coffee machine and dishwasher were much appreciated. Great shower, and a comfortable bed. Everything is a short walk away from the hotel, and the staff have always been exceptionally helpful. You can leave your bags on the day of departure, which is extremely useful. Dora was on reception during our stay, so a big shout to her. This is our go-to place to stay in Brussels 🫶🏼.

Location was excellent. Most places within walking distance. Metro station and shopping centre directly next door. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Apartment was good however the floor was quite dusty throughout our stay. Other than that it was a good space and had good amenities.

This was our first stay at Adagio and we were greatly impressed. Front desk staff were friendly and very helpful. Room was clean and very quiet, and laundry room onsite was an added bonus. We couldn't believe how much storage room there was. Central location made walking to all the major sites easy. Will definitely look for Adagios on future trips.

Easy to check in/out. Price was amazing. Room was brand new. So many food options and a train within feet of the hotel. Only ding was the sheets/mattress protector were not big enough to stay on the bed with both of us rolling around. Bring ear plugs if you aren't used to city sounds.

The region was close to a lot of stores and restaurants. Easy walk to the square and for shopping. The hotel was clean. We stayed in an apartment there and there was a microwave dishwasher and stove top with fridge. They also stocked towels, dish soap, dishes, cutlery, pans, can opener, and cutting board. The area was not too loud for us either. A nice stay with a toddler. Would stay again.

We stayed four nights at the Aparthotel Adagio Brussels. We were thoroughly happy and comfortable. The first room that we were assigned had a defective electrical outlet where I had to plug in my CPAP machine. The always helpful evening desk staff found us another room. That worked out fine. It was a great location, a ten minute walk to central station. Restaurants and groceries we're nearby. They stocked supplies in the lobby. Very quiet room.

The Aparthotel is just perfect for a stay in Brussels. It’s so central and within walking distance of absolutely no everything. The room was lovely and had everything we needed. Would definitely book again.

We enjoyed our stay in Brussels. Even though the rooms on level 5 are due for renovation after we left we found it comfortable. The staff are friendly and accommodating. It was a good location with a supermarket across the street, metro & bakery next door and walking distance to Central Train station, restaurants & sights.

Safestay Brussels Grand Place is a straightforward hotel offering simple rooms with complimentary Wi-Fi and a casual breakfast room. Conveniently located near Avenue Louise, one of Brussels' most upscale streets, the hotel's design is inspired by the famous Pantone color wheel, with each room featuring bold colors from the palette against white walls. Guests can enjoy a continental breakfast with various delicious options.
The hostel is incredibly well located, close to the city's main attractions, making it easy to explore everything on foot. The rooms are modern, spacious, and have beautiful views. I loved the convenience of being able to open the door with your phone; I'd never seen that in a hostel before! ✨ Highly recommended!
Lais R — Google review
I recently stayed at Safestay Brussels Grand Place and was pleased with its fantastic location—just steps from the Grand Place and major metro & tram stops . It made exploring the city incredibly convenient. The rooms were just okay: functional and clean, but rather small—enough for a short stay, but not much more . I appreciated the shower—it had good water pressure and felt fresh, which was a nice rejuvenation after a long day. One downside: the lockers were disappointingly small—fit only a backpack, not a roller bag. I had to bring my own lock, and even then, the space was limiting. Breakfast was just average—it covered the basics but didn’t stand out. Not awful, but nothing I’d remember. I must note that the staff weren’t particularly helpful. Check‑in was slow at times, and when I had questions, I didn’t feel warmly assisted—it felt more transactional than friendly. Worst of all was the shared luggage room, which felt unsafe. Access costs extra, and it seemed insufficiently secure. I kept worrying about my things.
Alborz — Google review
Altogether I was very satisfied with the accomodation for a reasonable price. Of course it´s not a 5-star-hotel but my 4-bed-room (including clean bath / shower) was absolutely ok - especially since every bed had own curtains to make it more private. The staff was also friendly and helpful and compared with other hostels I found it quiet neat and tidy. Wifi & breakfast were good too and the location in the city-centre is an additional advantage. One only has to be aware that it might get a bit loud with open windows, when people are walking around outside in the nightlife area (with closed windows it was ok).
Robert M — Google review
We arrived at the hostel 2 hours before check in, hoping to leave our bags. The man at the check in desk was very busy and patient with lots of people arriving at the same time. He was very helpful, checking us in as well as our bags, to save time later. On returning after check in time it took a while to retrieve our bags from the storage room, as the key was with someone else. We were initially booked into the wrong room - due to having the same first name as another guest! - but this issue was quickly resolved. Our private bunkroom was clean, mattress ok for one night, bathroom clean. Excellent security in the room. Not so sure about the foyer / stairs, there wasn't anyone at the desk when we returned before 10pm. The lift is very slow to arrive so my husband walked down from 3rd floor with some of our luggage the following morning and had to step over a man stretched out fast asleep on the stairs! An app is used to unlock the room so may not work well if traveller doesn't use a smartphone & you will need to keep your smartphone well charged. Otherwise perfect location for overnight stay, as we met up with friends in the centre of Brussels. Would recommend on that basis.
Sara W — Google review
The location is very central and you are close to anything that you need within walking distance. You have a nice view of the old town from the window at least I had from another room that I was staying at . The place has the basic necessities, but the establishment is rather old and there aren’t any social places or common areas except for the breakfast room. So don’t expect a social hostel. It’s more like a place to sleep and move on the next day. Which is exactly what I did. I decided I wanted to stay another day in Brussels, but I changed my place the next day.
Ghazal — Google review
Very very central. In the floors above a street of restaurants. No kitchen or common room. Clean enough. No fans or A/C so if you leave the windows open you get to hear street cafes or the room next door until very late (if you get the wrong room). Fine if you want to stay up late or have ear plugs....you have be warned.
Thomas D — Google review
Good location in the centre, although the road it's on is not very nice. Unfortunately the rooms were exceptionally hot and had no air-conditioning. This was not helped by the window, which was buried behind one of the bunk beds, offering little more than a feeble breeze. Nice hot shower. It took half an hour to check in our group. The receptionist didn't seem to know what was going on. Breakfast absolutely dreadful - don't bother. Lift seemed dangerous and makes concerning noises. There is absolutely no security, as others have mentioned, and it seemed like anyone could wander in off the street unchallenged. Wouldn't recommend.
Ed G — Google review
The safestay Brussels failed to be that - safe. The receptionist was hopeless, it took hours to check in our group, and for the rest of the stay, anyone could wander in and out of the place unquestioned and unchallenged. The rooms were not air-conditioned, and were boiling, the only window in the room was behind a bunk bed so it did nothing to cool the room down. The bathroom was disproportionately nice given everything else, though. The lift shook and made noises that it seemed it really ought not to, and the less said about the breakfast the better.

Located in the Marolles district of Brussels, Fuse is a renowned nightclub that has been a favorite for techno music lovers since its opening in 1994. Housed in a former cinema, this iconic club has a capacity of 1200 people and is known for its crazy atmosphere with a huge dance floor and rows of strobe lights. It hosts some of the best club nights and attracts famous DJs who work hard to earn a spot at Fuse.
Best techno avenue in Brussels. Good atmosphere. Service what slow. If you are. Into raving atmosphere and techno music it is the right place for you. If you are clubbing type person then it is not for you..
Ehab S — Google review
Great meat hunting place for local who brings cash. Nightmare for tourists with contactless payment methods, non smoking. They had three amazing DJs as it’s an iconic club to play in Brussels. So if you love the artists so much to put up with constantly shouting smoking crowd, that will push you, one way toilet operation, cash only, one person at a time weird tap for coins system cashier, and two euro each time you open the locker. Then you’ll be ok.
SiSi N — Google review
If you're looking for a great place to party, it is the place to be, very good sound quality, good electro DJs, and the staff at the bar is amazing, highly recommend the place!
François B — Google review
Nice location in an old movie theater. The place is big and has three floors. The entrance fees are a little higher than other places but still ok. I liked the flair of the place and the large dance area.
Thomas Z — Google review
For me it was cool to visit a techno club but it wasn't my kind of thing and the primary reason was that they played the exact same beat for 1h straight. Also the cost of entry was 20€ and could only be paid cash. The price in itself isn't to high in my opinion but having to pay cash is just anoying to be honest, especially when you can pay by card at almost 99% of all the other places in Brussels.
Edvin H — Google review
I have been to multiple rave parties in multiple countries, and I can say that this club really impressed me. Great atmosphere, safe vibes and extremely friendly and professional staff. Really appreciate the fact there is a water fountain. There was also a smoking area, where people are friendly and you can spark conversation with some fellow raver. They also have blood alcohol tester so you can check yourself if you feel unwell. The toilets were also extremely clean and free, which is a rare sight in rave clubs. The pricing is okay, but even if you pay a little extra, the experience is so good that I think it’s worth it. Overall I recommend it to anyone who’s look for a good night out!
Dimitris K — Google review
If you’re a fan of EDM, more specifically techno, this place will be able to fill that desire to dance all night long!
Quentin R — Google review
It may have been because we went on New Year's Eve, the club was packed with people, pushing and stumbling, not good for the techno vibe. You can't pay by card beyond the main cash register, making long queues to consume. You have to bring 2 euro coins for the lockers. It was a bad experience for me, I will try again another time.

The New Hotel Charlemagne is a sleek and modern hotel with chic, colorful rooms and a relaxed bar. The hotel offers free parking and is located in a great location. The breakfast could be better, but the coffee is disappointing and the eggs are scrambled poorly.
Great experience. Friendly staff always willing to help, and the cleaning service was excellent. Both, check-in and check-out, were quick and we always had a place to park. Although we didn’t have time due to work, we noticed the lobby had comfortable leather sofas and, overall, elegant décor that created a calm and social atmosphere. I recommend it !
KATHERINE * — Google review
My stay at this hotel was disappointing. The room was uncomfortably cold due to poor insulation and drafty windows, making it difficult to relax. The hotel restaurant fell short in two key areas: the coffee was subpar due to a lack of a good espresso machine, and the bread served was stale. While the staff was friendly, these issues significantly impacted the overall experience. Until improvements are made to room comfort and food quality, it's hard to recommend this hotel to others.
Joanna ( — Google review
I had a very unpleasant and humiliating experience at this hotel. My stay had already been fully paid for in advance, yet upon check-in, they demanded a deposit but refused to accept my debit card — even though it had credit card features and a CVC code, and had been accepted without issue at all other hotels on my previous trips. It was already past 9 PM, and they insisted on a cash deposit. As a woman traveling alone, I had to walk around an unfamiliar city in the dark looking for an ATM. I felt unsafe and anxious. Eventually, I managed to withdraw the cash and returned to complete the check-in. To add to the frustration, they gave me a room without a working toilet and with no minibar. I didn’t intend to use the minibar, but it felt symbolic — as if I was being punished or downgraded because I didn’t have a physical credit card. Even after I had provided a full cash deposit, they treated me like some kind of risk. What exactly did they think I was going to steal or damage in a room without even a minibar? This was a deeply disrespectful and degrading experience that has stayed with me even years later. I came across this hotel again recently and felt the need to share how little respect they showed for their guests.
Sip S — Google review
Stayed at the hotel for 2 nights. It was close to the station which is a good thing. The hotel bedroom was disappointing considering it is "4 stars hotel". The room did not look clean, the toilet heater did not work, no air con but yes there was a fan (thanks). The carpet did not seem clean, the bathroom shower had limescale on it. The shower thermostat wasn't working properly. Why am i paying so much money for unclean room? If it was advertised as 2 stars, yh sure that's fine. But it was definitely not 4 stars. Also, the bathroom soaps were not filled to the top. They cleaned the room the next day but still they didn't fill it up.

Great location - close to center, metro and also easy to reach from airport. Rooms are spacious, onto nice courtyard. Staff friend. Great price for the quality.

The hotel is situated in a calm area of Brussels just across from European Commission building. The metro and train stations are accessible within 2 minutes. A walk to the city center takes no more than 15 minutes. Staff is very friendly. I arrived early (10am) and they made sure to give me the available room right away instead of letting me wait until 3pm for a check in. Everything was clean and tidy.

Guests can expect private ensuite rooms equipped with amenities such as a TV, hairdryer, and free Wi-Fi. It was good, really good. The windows are on the street and I liked it. Don't like when it's to the garden or some quiet place. The sky from the window is beautiful too, the bed is big. The power of shower is really nice. A little repaired cell, and it's well seen, but it didn't spoil the vacation. The city is beautiful, with a lot of ancient buildings. The staff is very friendly and diligent. I have to work in internet till the late night and every early morning the cleaning knocked and asked about opportunity to clean the room. I cleaned it by myself, and always refused, cause early morning. But they are diligent, thank you.

If I could give this zero stars I would. The place itself isn't bad for a place to stay but we were racially abused in the area and made to feel very unsafe

Decent for a 1-2 night stay. The room was fairly spacious, but the hotel is quite far from the city center, so keep that in mind. Breakfast was okay, though not really worth the €10. There was a lot of noise in the evening from people talking outside. Overall, the price felt a bit high for what you get.

Never would i ever stay here or go to brussels again. The streets leading upto the hotel had all paving stones missing for miles, windows smashed on most shop fronts, dangerous area! Beggars absolutely everywhere! People walking around in masks with batons for some reason! The hotel room was poor at best and the door to the room must of been held on by toothpicks! Forced to stay here for 1 night due to a double booking of our original place, planned to stay in 🇧🇪 for 5 days, but left after 12 hours(first thing in the morning) Avoid completely. Racist against whites! Definitely wont be going to belgium again! Could this be the worst "country" in Europe??? Id say so.

Not the best experience! Tiny room and I had a problem with the safe it took them two days to change it with a constant asking, the rooms are not sound proof it’s annoying and super noisy on top of that 10% privacy, it’s not worth what I paid for, in my opinion it worth the half.

Not the best place in the world 🌎. Rooms very small, bathroom very small. Location is a bit far out from Brussels centre and there is quite a bit of confusion with the bus and Metro transport systems so taxi is your best bet. Hotel need a refurb urgently. Also very hot inside and appears to be no air conditioning in rooms. Over all, Brussels and Brugge are a must need visit!

The reviews are quite mixed for this hotel. However, I have to say my experience was good, nice room, good nights sleep and scrumptious breakfast in the morning. It doesn't look brand new, but I have definitely stayed in more tired places and should I return to the area, I'd stay again. Recommended.

Hôtel The Moon is a budget-friendly hotel located in the city center of Brussels. Each room is uniquely designed to represent different nations or destinations, inspired by the travels of the owners. The hotel offers 16 quirky rooms with creative and magical decor, providing great value with a friendly atmosphere. While there is no elevator or breakfast available, the location between Brussels Central station and the Grand Place makes it an ideal spot for travelers looking for reasonable prices and a convenient base for exploring the city.
Title: Excellent Stay in a Fantastic Location! I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The location is simply unbeatable—just a short walk from the central station and very close to the beautiful Grand Place. The room was comfortable, clean, and well-maintained, making my stay even more enjoyable. One of the highlights of my stay was the excellent service at the reception. The receptionist was incredibly kind, polite, and always willing to assist with any issue that arose. His hospitality made a great impression! The only downside is that there is no elevator, which might be an issue for guests who have difficulty with stairs. However, aside from that, everything was exceptional. I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again!

Great hotel for a layover or small trip to Brussels, we loved the location, make sure to not come in heavy with bags as there is some stairs and no lift. I need to mention the great gentleman at reception who is very accommodating and nice.

Wonderful hotel: the staff was extremely friendly, the rooms were clean and spacious, there was no noise and the location is excellent as it is literally in the heart of the capital. In short, I would definitely recommend staying here if you want to have a comfortable visit to Brussels! Best hotel in Brussels and good value for money!

The employee in the reception was very disrespectful and hostile from the first moment. When we asked for a new towel he told us to wait until he had finished a film in his phone, completely unprofessional. He was constantly puffing and didn’t want to help at all. Horrible service, never coming back, do not recommend

The hotel is in a prime location, very close to the Central Station and the city center. I arrived at the hotel at 10:30 am and was promptly provided a room. The room had basic amenities that were good value for the money, especially given the location. While the bedside socket was a bit inconvenient, it was manageable. The building doesn't have an elevator, but this wasn't an issue for me. The street in front of the hotel is always lively with street performances, so it can get a bit noisy at times. Two aspects that made me a bit uncomfortable were the lack of an interior lock on the door and the requirement to leave the room key at reception every time I went out and collect it upon my return. Overall, though, the place is good and worth the money.
Prathesh J — Google review
Location: 5/5 The location is probably the best part (or worst part for some people). It is near the town hall, museums, main square and royal palace. Staff 5/5 The staff are very polite and helpful. And reception is 24 hours. But if you get the room towards the front, you may find it noisy. Rooms 2/5 No dental kits of slippers provided in the hotel. The rooms are small but clean and the beds are comfortable. TV too small. We liked the view and music the streets musicians were playing. WiFi is very unreliable. No elevators and the first floor is just reception. Rooms start from 2nd floor onwards. So prepare to carry luggage if you get room on higher floor. No breakfast but many bars and restaurants in vicinity. Overall we enjoyed our stay here.

The hotel provides a friendly and welcoming service at the reception, allowing early check-ins and baggage storage. While some guests found the noise level to be a drawback, others praised the cleanliness of the rooms and the convenience of its proximity to the train station.
Great Stay – Clean, Comfortable, and Perfectly Located The rooms are indeed small, but spotlessly clean and well-maintained. The bed was extremely comfortable, making for a great night's sleep. This location is a great hotel, to spend a vacation in Brussels. The location is convenient in the city centre, near such sights as "Manneken Pis" and main street of Brussels. The landscape from the window was remarkable, with a breathtaking architecture. The personnel are amazing, even if you don't know French or Dutch, they are able to explain everything perfectly with all required information in English. The rooms are small, but they have all the necessary stuff, such as towels, hangers, table and TV. About the bathroom I can say the same, shower, hair and body wash, and hairdryer were free to use. The only reason, I wouldn't rate this place as a 5 star hotel is WiFi, a big amount of networks, I have noticed around 5-6, but in none of them the internet was fast, so be ready to use your own mobile data.
Sof_ I — Google review
Basic small cheap rooms. Someone had clearly been smoking in my room as they left a glass full of cigarettes butts on the outside window ledge. Cups in bathroom had hairs on them. Bed was very comfortable and I slept well but cleaners need to pay attention.
Jon A — Google review
This is a cozy hotel located walking distance between Brussel North Station and the Brussels city center. Price and quality wise this is a quite alright hotel. My only issue during my stay was the lack of cleaning in my room. There were feet stains on the wall, cob webs in the bathroom and questionable stains on the bathroom floor. They have a 24h receptionist and it was my first experience with how a 24h receptionist works so let me warn you that they will be very suspicious if you invite someone up to your room to just hang a bit late at night. Even if it’s just a quick visit, they will interrogate. I understand that they were just doing their job and wanted to make sure that you don’t have non paying guests sleeping over (wink wink). So keep that in mind with 24h receptionists and that this hotel will make a late night visit awkward. Talking about receptionists, all of them were unapproachable and cold. Some improvement is highly recommended. The breakfast buffet was a bit disappointing. I usually savor the simple hotel breakfast buffet for an hour but their buffet wasn’t doing it for me. They had all the usuals. As someone with a thing for English Breakfast, it was personally disappointing that there was eggs, sausage, bacon but no beans (I cried on the inside). Overall this is an okay hotel. Would I book a room here again? Possibly, but it wouldn’t be my first choice
LASSYRI — Google review
DO NOT RESERVE A ROOM HERE!!! STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS ESTABLISHMENT. Rude and not helpful service. My passport and money was left in a bag in my room and that went missing. The police were called and they wasn’t helpful at all. We was forcibly kicked out of the hotel and left stranded for the night as we are tourists from the United Kingdom. The guy that works night shifts in the reception gave us a weird vibe from the beginning. Every time he saw us he gave us dirty looks and we assume he took our belongings. Awful vacation in Brussels will never return to a country that are disrespectful to tourists

A great stay for the price. I stayed in a single private room. If you're looking for a basic affordable room in a central area, look no further. The room was very tiny, so just be warned you won't have much space to open your suitcases and walk around even.

All the staff are so friendly, the room is clean, clean towels everyday, nice big windows that open up looking out at manekin pee. Think I spelt it wrong. Will definitely be coming back. The owners are lovely. Speak clear English. For next year I will speak French 😁 so close to the grand place. What a vibrant and courfull city. I popped into the souvenir shop this afternoon, and to my surprise, the cashier staff seemed to have me pegged as a shoplifter. If you're heading to Brussels and need accommodation near Midi station, Es Hostel Midi is the perfect choice. Situated just behind the station, it offers a clean and tranquil environment. The private rooms with bathrooms provide all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. While it's only a 10-minute walk from Bruxelles Midi train station, keep in mind that there isn't much cover in case of rain.
We had a private room with bathroom and that was all we needed. About 10 minutes walk from Bruxelles Midi train station, without much cover in event of rain.

The area is not the best area of brussels at all and is not close in the center by walk (is half an hour more or less). Besides that the hostel is fine, the personal is nice and the rooms are big but, in my case, we were 12 people in one room and there were only a small bathroom there so for me is a place to stay onle 1 night o maybe 2. It was difficult for us to find it, mainly because now there is a construction and the front of the building is small.

Overall it’s good hostel. Location is in city center, but sometimes i smell something not good whenever i go out the lift to my room.

The worst place in the Globe, which I ever been. Stay away from this hostel. Everything here is wrong. When I came back to my room after all day outside I found someone in my bed slipping on my coat. This place should be closed!!!
Piotr T — Google review
Incredibly dirty hostel. Some people constantly live there and feel like owners of the room. No lockers in the rooms. You need to buy it at the reception for 3€. No towels. Extremely dirty bathroom and bedrooms. The district looks very dangerous. A lot of drunk men, awfully dirty streets. It is an African territory. The hostel is not far from the train station and 20 min walk to the city centre. Though if you are a girl or a group of girls I don't recommend to walk there at night or evening time. You won't feel safe there. To sum up, it is better to think twice before staying there. Even though the hostel is cheap, it has a great deal of drawbacks.

Somebody was sleeping in "my" bed, so basically they stole my money and gave me no service, I had to leave the hostel at 4am with nowhere to go. Wifi does not work, the contact phone number is fake. Next time I pass by Brussels I will report it to the police.

(Translated by Google) So you might as well be frank and direct. If you're looking for an inexpensive hotel to just sleep in: it's perfect. Comfortable bed, less than half an hour from the main market and not expensive. If you're looking for more, run away. The area really leaves something to be desired (nothing to see or do and rather dirty), the hotel is shabby: - reception leaves something to be desired (We were woken up at 10:15 p.m. because they turned on the dormitory light to seat someone) - no decoration, not even painting or anything it looks like the building is not finished. - room without keys so always open to everyone. - Toilet in the bathroom with shower. - Bathroom without lock (in an apartment with 3 dormitories of 6 beds and mixed) - Limitless cleanliness (except for the beds: sheets, duvet and nickel cushion on all beds) (Original) Alors autant être franc direct.

Grand Place is a massive city square surrounded by elegant historic buildings dating back to the 14th century. It is the heart of all activities in Brussels, featuring the Town Hall with a statue of St. Michael the Archangel and the Maison du Roi, both showcasing stunning Gothic architecture. The square hosts the breathtaking Infiorata event every even year, where it's covered with a carpet of flowers from over five hundred thousand begonia plants.
The Grand Place in Brussels is one of the most beautiful squares I’ve ever visited. The architecture is stunning, and the atmosphere feels full of history and culture. Around the square, you can see the old guildhalls, which once belonged to different trades such as brewers, butchers, and tailors — each building has its own unique design and charm. What’s even more fascinating is the history behind it. In 1695, most of the square, including the Town Hall, was heavily damaged during a bombardment. But the people of Brussels rebuilt everything with great care and detail, and that’s what makes the Grand Place so special today. It’s truly a place that combines beauty, history, and pride. I highly recommend visiting it and taking the time to learn about its amazing story.

The Grand Place is surrounded by beautiful big buildings. In the evenings the Grand Place is full of people, including tourists from all over the world. One of the buildings by the square is Brussels City Museum. It is undoubtedly the most important landmark in Brussels.

As night falls over Brussels, the Grand Place transforms from a bustling square into a dreamlike spectacle. Walking into the square after dark, you’re immediately struck by the soft golden glow of the ornate guildhalls, their intricate Baroque and Gothic facades bathed in warm lights that make every carved detail shimmer. The Town Hall, standing proudly with its towering spire, seems almost alive under the illumination, a silent guardian watching over centuries of history. The square itself is quiet now, a gentle contrast to its daytime bustle. Your footsteps echo softly on the cobblestones, creating a rhythmic accompaniment to the soft murmur of a distant fountain. The air is cris

One of the best squares I visited in europe. Smells like incredible food, architecture is stunning and it’s centrally located with so many food options around the square and nearby streets. A must see when visiting Brussels
Aya S — Google review
The official history of this place began in the 12th century on the site of dried-up swamps, where the market was originally located. By the 13th century, the first covered markets for meat, bread, and cloth had been built here. At this time, the Bread House was constructed, later known as the King's House, although the monarchs never lived there; it was used for storing bread and later for government purposes, and today it houses the City Museum. However, the true history of the square began not in the 12th century, as is often mentioned, but even earlier. As early as the 10th century, a fort was built on the island of Saint-Gérard, which marked the beginning of Brussels. By the end of the 11th century, an open market known as the "Lower Market" (Nedermerckt) had been established on a drained marsh near the fort. Interestingly, archaeological research conducted since 2017 has revealed numerous hidden structures beneath the cobblestone surface of the modern square using ground-penetrating radar, indicating that the area was once a labyrinth of alleyways and small squares during the Middle Ages. Between 1402 and 1455, the Gothic town hall was built, with a 96-meter tower that still stands today and is topped by a statue of the Archangel Michael. The city was devastated on August 13, 1695, when the French army bombarded the city, destroying much of the center of Brussels. Only the town hall and parts of the King's House survived. However, in just four years, the wealthy merchant guilds restored the square by building their houses around it in the Baroque and Louis XIV styles, giving it a more modern appearance. Each of these guild houses has its own name and unique design, such as the "King of Spain" belonging to the baker's guild, the "Wolf" belonging to the archers' guild, with its facade adorned with busts of Roman emperors and allegorical statues, the "Swan" belonging to the butchers' guild, and the "Golden Tree" belonging to the brewers' guild. On the building of the House of the King (which, despite its name, was originally a bread market), you can see the bizarre gargoyles in the form of birds, dogs, and winged four-legged creatures, which adds a fantasy touch to the place. One of the most unusual and striking events is the tradition of creating a Flower Carpet, which has been held every two years since 1971. In the middle of August, a huge patterned carpet of hundreds of thousands of colorful begonias is laid out on the square for several days, covering an area of approximately 1,800 square meters, creating a stunning sight. In 2025, a special event called "Ghosts in Brussels" was held on the square from February to March. It was an immersive journey through the Town Hall, where the ghosts of famous historical figures were brought to life using modern technology.

Manneken Pis is a 17th-century fountain in Brussels featuring a small bronze statue of a boy urinating into the basin. This quirky landmark, created by Jerome Duquesnoy, has become an iconic symbol of Brussels' humor and folklore. Despite its small size (only 60 cm high), it is one of the most photographed statues in the city. The statue is known for its extensive wardrobe of over 600 outfits, with different costumes displayed during festivals and events throughout the year.
This is a historic place you definitely have to see. We happened to visit on July 21st, which is Belgium’s National Day, and the statue was dressed in a special outfit for the occasion. It was really fun to see the change!

It’s at the corner of the street, not very eye catching if not because of the crowd surrounding it. Just stay for 5 min taking pictures and go. Grand Palace is much worth going and can easily spend a whole afternoon.

A fun and quirky surprise! This famous landmark features a small bronze statue of a peeing boy, often dressed in various costumes. It's a charming and unique piece of Brussels' history and a must-see for tourists seeking something different.
Rob P — Google review
It's a pleasure to discover Manneken Pis, it's a beautiful creation. However, it's not easy to contemplate its beauty because the statue is not very large and there is a large gate that limits the view. But this is certainly to protect the artwork. Great find

I would’ve loved to know a little more about the history of this boy! But unfortunately not much is known, even the theories are a far few… nevertheless a spot for every tourist visiting for pictures. I do see a lot of guides explaining about the statue and was curious to find out more… it’s close to the grand place and can definitely be included in the city walk.

One of the interesting location of the Brussels, just minutes walking from a Grand Palace. We were there at around 2pm and it was crowded, however still possible to take descent pictures. Lot of stores and restaurants around, so it is not a problem to find a restroom if need it. Otherwise you can not spent so much time by the statues as it is quite small. The funny thing though that they dress the boy in different clothes from time to time and there is a store across of the street that shows some of the costume they use during the year :-)
Vadym — Google review
We are very happy and excited to see two different ware of the posing boy in Brussels. Yesterday he was dressed and today is in his birthday suit! People are just coming all corners of the world to see him and it is interesting to see him in different outfit for time to time! And to see all the products related to this stature!

World famous statue in Brussels, Belgium. Mannikin Pis, or Little Pissing Man, is a magnificent little statue that attracts millions of tourists every year. The statue of a naked little boy urinating into the fountain's basin is so life-like and different. That is the reason for its universal appeal. The 55.5 cm bronze statue is more than 400 years old. The original statue has been repeatedly stolen and what we see today is only a replica.

Mini-Europe, located in Brussels, is a unique theme park that features scaled-down replicas of Europe's famous landmarks. With incredible attention to detail, the park offers visitors the chance to embark on a journey through iconic European towns and cities. From London's Big Ben to the Eiffel Tower in Paris, visitors can explore 350 models and sites showcasing Europe's architectural wonders. A fun travel through Europe in just a couple of hours! The miniature landmarks are impressively detailed, and it’s both fun and educational (a guide booklet is given free with the entrance ticket that gives basic info about the country and the various landmarks) to see so many iconic sites in one place. The park is easy to walk around, and perfect both for adults and children. Some exhibits are interractive, which elevates the experience, especially for children. Allow at least 2 hours for the visit, if you are also reading the guide booklet while seeing the landmarks and taking photos.

A fun and unique way to see all of Europe in one place! Mini-Europe is a really charming attraction located right next to the Atomium. The park is beautifully designed with detailed miniature models of famous European landmarks – from the Eiffel Tower and Big Ben to the canals of Venice and the Acropolis. It’s both fun and educational, especially if you enjoy travel and culture. The paths are easy to walk, and there’s plenty of information about each country and monument. It’s a great place for families, school groups, or anyone who wants to experience a “tour of Europe” in just a couple of hours. The best part is the attention to detail in the models – they are very well maintained and make for great photos. Highly recommended if you’re visiting Brussels, especially in combination with the Atomium.

A demonstration of all of EU’s nations and cities as well as some of UK too! The replicas are well maintained and have an interactive touch button which mostly played the anthem. The total time for the place can be around 1-1.5hrs if you wish to go detail by detail else it can be done in under 30mins too. It closes entry at 5pm, so I did do a re-entry after finishing the 4pm planetarium show. The metro stop is nearby and is quite accessible. Entry charges and packages are acceptable.

Decent experience can spend a god hour or 2 walking around. Good if you like miniature stuff. We enjoyed it but not sure if we would come again. One of those places once you’ve seen it you would rarely go again.

Awesome place! I wouldn't think that I would enjoy it so much and wouldn't think that the time spent there would be too much but: We arrived on Sunday on a rainy day at 4:30 PM and it was perfect, because we stayed there 1h 30 min. And the place closed at 6PM. We did not buy the tickets in advance and we did not need to (maybe due to the rainy day?) But the experience was awesome, very interactive, very fun, you get to see a lot of the well known buildings around the Europe and hear the hymns of every country present there. This place is perfect for all ages! Would totally recommend :)

The Parlamentarium, located just outside the city center of Brussels, offers a deep dive into Europe's past and its influence on present-day Brussels. The visitors' center features multimedia exhibits that delve into the impact of World Wars on European politics and the development of the European Union. Visitors can explore the workings of this complex political institution for free at both the European Parliament and Parlamentarium. The high-tech and interactive museum allows virtual travel between EU countries to witness special collaborations fostered by the union.
We visited the Parlamentarium on a Friday afternoon and found it both charming and informative. The interactive exhibits and multimedia guides provided a comprehensive overview of the European Parliament’s workings. Admission is free, but it’s advisable to reserve a time slot online in advance to ensure entry . The visit is self-paced, allowing you to explore at your own leisure. They offer a headset where you can listen in a variety of languages. Overall, a worthwhile stop for anyone interested in understanding the European Union’s institutions.

We visited the Parlamentarium over the weekend and really enjoyed it. It’s an excellent free activity well organized, engaging, and very informative. The exhibits are thoughtfully designed with plenty of interactive features that make learning enjoyable, even for adults. A great experience overall and definitely worth a visit.

I think a reservation is usually required to visit, but since we came as only two people and the Parlamentarium was relatively uncrowded, the staff kindly let us in. The visit is completely free for public, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. I learned so much about the European Parliament and its role. The exhibition was presented in an excellent way. They also provide an audio guide in many different languages. Everything was modern, well organized, and highly interactive.
Dwi F — Google review
Amazing experience. I advise to take the longest tour. It’s worth a time (90 min). The exhibition is super engaging. There are seats in some parts that allow to rest for a while.
M . — Google review
We visited the Parlamentarium on a Saturday morning, and I’m so glad we planned ahead. Booking the tour in advance was quick, completely free, and absolutely worth it. The exhibition does a great job of presenting the rich and sometimes complicated history of European countries and the creation of the EU. You’re provided with an audio guide (headset) in the language of your choice, which makes the visit easy to follow and surprisingly enjoyable - no rushing, no strict structure. You simply move at your own pace, stop where something interests you, and keep going when you’re ready. Our visit took about 60–90 minutes, but you could stay longer if you’d like — there are plenty of benches where you can sit, pause, and take everything in. The practical side is also well thought out: free restrooms and lockers are available, especially handy if you’re carrying backpacks or small luggage while exploring Brussels. And yes, like every good museum experience, there’s a gift shop waiting for you at the end. 😊 Overall, this was a very interesting and well-designed introduction to how the European Parliament works and how Europe became what it is today. If you’re curious about history, politics, or simply want a meaningful activity while in Brussels, the Parlamentarium is a must-visit!

The establishment, which has been popular since 2006, boasts a knowledgeable staff and an authentic red brick decor. With 40 Belgian beers on tap, it's the perfect place to explore and sample different brews.
Popular with locals and tourists, this beer hall serves a lot of classic and craft beer. There is something for everyone here. They have hot food to order at the bar as well. It's very lively and has a fun character. All travellers must try this place out. The bartenders are very friendly.

As soon as I walked in, I noticed a foreigner staring at me—turns out it was because of my Jing-A jacket! 😂 After chatting, I found out he’s actually the owner of Sweden’s Apex Brewery, who just did a collab at 8x8 last week! If you’ve already checked off Cantillon, 3 Fonteinen, Boerenerf and Delirium in Brussels, this place is definitely worth a visit. About half of their tap list is lambic, usually around €6–7 per glass. They also feature some innovative Belgian breweries and modern styles. 📸 Photo 5: the new lambic blendery Black-Belle 📸 Photo 6: a Belgian hazy IPA 📸 Photo 7: a brewery-exclusive Pilsner They also brew their own mead and kombucha in-house. Every beer tasted fresh and clean—no off-flavors at all. And if you hit it off with the bartender, you might even get a free sample! 🍻

Nice and wide selection of beers. Had been here some time ago and loved every lambic beer I tasted here and came back to try more. Very nice place out front to hang out in summer days too.

Nestled in the heart of Brussels, the Brussels City Museum is a captivating destination that showcases the rich history and culture of this vibrant city. Housed in the stunning Neo-Gothic King's Building, which once served as an administrative hub, this museum offers visitors a glimpse into its storied past. The third floor features an impressive collection of outfits worn by Mannekin Pis, affectionately known as 'the first citizen of Brussels,' gifted by various governments and celebrities over time.
I really enjoyed my time at this museum! The museum focuses mainly on the history of how Brussels was formed, and it’s presented in a way that’s easy to follow. They provide an audio guide that you can easily access from your phone, which makes the experience more immersive and engaging. Tickets are also very affordable, only 4 euros for students. A great spot to learn more about the city’s roots without breaking the budget!

The museum is a magnificent building showcasing Brussels' rich history. It features a compelling collection of paintings, artwork, silverware, and porcelain, as well as a fascinating exhibit on tapestry restoration techniques. The museum also houses the original Manneken Pis statue; the statue displayed in the city centre is a replica to safeguard the original. My visit was highly enjoyable. Conveniently located in the Grand Place, opposite the town hall, I highly recommend a visit.

It’s gone through many changes I remember it when it housed the Manikin Piss costumes. Now focusing on the history of the city, with a large detailed 3D model showing the rivers that flowed through Brussels, and the location of the main church’s and market square. You can view the Grand Place from the windows.
Graham S — Google review
Located right on Grand Place, the Brussels City Museum offers a great overview of the city’s history, from medieval times to today. Highlights include detailed models and the original Manneken Pis with his quirky outfits. Some exhibits feel a bit dated and there’s limited interactivity, but the building itself is stunning and the museum is well worth a visit—especially if you enjoy quiet, uncrowded spaces.

Excellent museum, definitely use the free audio guide. Ticket to this place also gives you access to the costume museum for the fountain boy statue.

A lovely visit had here with 3 floors of beautiful art and historical artifacts. €10 per person was worth the photos and memories. Lockers available and included in price of admission.

This museum, located in the historic “King’s House” (Maison du Roi) on the Grand Place and built in a neo-Gothic style, presents the history and art of Brussels. Its collection includes paintings, old maps, models, and historical artifacts. One of its most famous sections is the display of costumes belonging to the iconic Manneken Pis statue.
Persico — Google review
Located in the former house of the Duke of Brabant, this is a city museum covering the history of Brussels. The ground floor has a large porcelain collection showcasing Belgian pottery manufacturing back in the day. The 2nd floor has a great model of the city during the middle ages with many buildings still standing today. This floor has lots of paintings of the city. The top floor has an exhibition dedicated to Manneken Pis with several sculptures, some dressed thematically.

Frituur
Fast food restaurant
Nestled a bit outside the bustling heart of Brussels, Frit Flagey is an iconic frites stand that has captured the hearts of locals and visitors alike. A leisurely 35-minute stroll from the city center leads you to this beloved spot in Ixelles, where you can savor some of Belgium's finest fries while soaking in the charming surroundings, including a picturesque walk around Ixelles Ponds.
Recommended, worth visiting. The fries were really good. It’s not soggy and despite covering it with sauces, was still crunchy and well cooked. The Dallas sauce was an amazing dip, it’s really nice though i can’t tell what it’s made of. Tasted like a mix of ketchup, mayonnaise and some chili? The small is already quite a huge portion for one pax. The skewer (Brochette Ardenne?) was nice too. It went very well with the Dallas sauce as well and worth to try if you need something more filling to go with the fries. The service was good although I couldnt understand the language, the staff tried their best to explain. Food was pretty quick to serve, just had to wait slightly longer for the skewer. Location wise, it’s just right at the Flagey bus station plaza. Pretty convenient and it’s kind of an open area with benches so you could have the fries and people watch. There’s a nearby Delhaize mart to get beer or soft drinks too.

Amazing food! Great price, and the owner is genuine and helpful.
Kay P — Google review
If you’re in Brussels and even thinking about trying Belgian fries, Frit Flagey is non-negotiable. Tucked just off Place Flagey, this little fritkot serves up some of the crispiest, fluffiest fries you’ll ever eat—twice-fried the traditional Belgian way, golden on the outside and creamy on the inside. Yes, there’s almost always a line. But take that as a good sign: locals, students, tourists, and even late-night wanderers all queue up for a reason. The service is surprisingly quick, and the staff manage to stay friendly no matter how busy it gets. What sets it apart? The sheer crunch of the fries, for one. But also the wide range of sauces—andalouse and samurai are crowd favorites, but don’t overlook their tartare or spicy Brasil. The portions are generous (even a medium cone could feed two), and they come piping hot in that iconic white paper cone.
Yevgen G — Google review
I come here every Sunday only for fries + mayo. This place has for me the best fries and the best mayo in Brussels ! Service is quick but expect a line on sunny days. Doesn’t matter as they are open late so you can easily come out of rush hours. Hard working people, delivering always the same high level quality fries. Reason why I’ll be there again next Sunday
J K — Google review
This place is in a cool and happening area in Flagey. This is one of my best fries places in Brussels. The fries are fresh, crunchy on the outside and soft in the inside. It's excellent! They have a good selection of sauce as well. They also offer other snacks and quick bites. The staff are warm and hospitable. They speak very good English and also Dutch. Compliment to their efforts! They really make you feel welcome. They accept both cards and cash which is quite handy. The only downside of this place is sometimes the queue can be quite long.
Bishruti S — Google review
It's one of the better fry shops in Brussels. It has a cult-like following that will swear it's the best, for good reason. If you are able to catch the fry place without a queue then it is definitely worth it. Though, if the queue is long, I am not sure if I'd wait more than 5 minutes for them. I liked the more humorous nature of the fry shop, making it whimsical.
Dylan F — Google review
I heard that this is the best fries in Belgium? I never really expected to try I thought it was kinda out of the way but I didn't expect it to be so near the plaza where I alighted when I visited Ixelles. The queue was quite long but was efficient as they were prepared quite fast. My impression of people selling fries in Belgium is not so good because I see a lot of fries already cooked so I have an impression the fries served is not hot but it turns out otherwise. As usual this is one of the other fries place I tried and the fries are hot and good. I asked the guy to recommend me a sauce and he just told me to pick 1 of their 17 sauces. Not a pleasant answer but I chose the curry sauce. Turned out it was a good dip with the fries. I don't know how did it become the best fries I thought it was pretty good and quite similar to the other fries I have tasted. Recommended if you happen to be in Ixelles area.
Matthew L — Google review
It's a frites place, and it makes great frites. The lines are better than Maison Antoine and the quality, at least of the frites, is comparable. It's also closer to the bars we tend to be drinking at :)

Brussels South/Midi Train Station is a major connecting point in Brussels, offering frequent trains to various destinations in Europe. The station has many platforms with precise and punctual train departures, so it's advisable to arrive early to find your platform. While the area outside the station may not be very appealing due to homeless people and trash, it is generally safe as long as normal precautions are taken.
We were able to lock up our luggage for the day while we went and visited in town. Pretty easy to use you just pay for the locker and set up a code and when you come back, you put in your code and it will open up. They have a lot of posted officers and they speak different languages that you can get help pretty quickly It’s a little bit tricky to navigate, but we just asked for help and we’re pointed in the right direction very quickly and it’s nice because you didn’t have to be to the train station too early for your train to go to another country in Europe
Erica P — Google review
BEWARE OF THIEVS! inside the station it feels safe, there are signs everywhere with directions which to keep feels quite clear of where you need to go, there are multiple stores to get most of what you may like for souvenirs and also a bit of shopping. Prices aren’t too bad and there are toilets, but they are a euro to use. It has lockers for small items and big which you can pay on your card, this is VERY useful. I like coming through this station, but having to leave it and go into the city is nightmarish and even with the police presence it is NOT safe.
Caïna V — Google review
Major station in Belgium serving international routes within Europe. This station has many shops, few restaurants and a Carrefour with a Salad bar. Famous landmarks such as the Manneken Pis & the central square are 20-25 mins walk from this railway station. Like with all major European railway stations, be careful about thieves. Even in the trains, there always is announcements to beware of thieves.
Shiben P — Google review
I visit Midi train station often, and it’s always a bit of a mixed experience. The place is huge and well connected. You can catch trains to almost anywhere in Europe from here. The signs are fairly clear, though it can still take a few minutes to find the right platform. The waiting areas are okay, but the station feels a bit old and crowded. There are plenty of cafes and snack spots around, which are great for grabbing a quick coffee before your train. Overall, it does its job well, but it could use a refresh to feel more modern and welcoming.
Rohit T — Google review
Brussels Midi Station, also known as Bruxelles-Midi or Brussels-South, is the busiest and most important railway station in Belgium. It is the main hub for international high-speed rail services. The station is located at Avenue Fonsny 47B. It serves international high-speed trains, including Eurostar to London, TGV to France, and ICE to Germany, as well as domestic SNCB trains throughout Belgium. The station is also a major transfer hub, connected to Metro lines 2, 4, 6 and 10, as well as to numerous tram and bus routes. Wi-Fi, luggage storage, ticket offices, information desk, shops, a supermarket, cafes and food outlets are available on the station grounds. Ticket offices are open from 05:45 to 21:30 daily, while the station itself is closed at night from around 1:30 to 3:30. Overall, it's not bad, but there are some unpleasant odors in certain areas. The station administration should pay attention to this. There are plenty of shops, eateries, and opportunities to grab a bite or enjoy a cup of coffee.

August 2025: been here many times, staying in Brussels. This time we were en route to Bruges! Clean station.
Mike773 U — Google review
Brussels Midi is certainly an interesting place. On the plus side it is well connected and got me to and from where I wanted to go. However it seems to have a distinctive smell, which is quite unpleasant and seems to be in the entirety of the station. The station is also massive making it hard to navigate. My advice is to get to the station earlier so you have time to work out where your platform is.
Carys S — Google review
Paid toilets at the train station. I find it very rude to make travellers pay for such basic human need at places where humans often have to sit and wait :-( (I didn't use their toilets, instead I went to a nearby coffee shop and had a cup of tea and a snack and used their toilet instead. Much better "experience")

The Dominican is a modern and stylish hotel located in the heart of historic Brussels, built on the site of a 15th-century Dominican Abbey. The property features contemporary design elements while paying homage to its historic legacy, with high arches following the cloister's ground plan and the Dominican symbol woven into carpets. The hotel offers comfortable rooms, some overlooking a beautiful courtyard, as well as two restaurants, a trendy bar, sauna, and gym.
Still one of the Best in Brussels ! I really love the atmosphere in the summer time in the Courtyard from the hotel. Feeling a little bit like in Marrakech. Perfect style and atmosphere and the evening service team at the reception and in the restaurant make it happened that my evening was better than expected. Hotel rooms are rooms - so that is nothing what I want to write about. But one the pictures you can see examples from the room, the food and the magical atmosphere. Just step-in and forget the city.

The Dominican is a fantastic choice in Brussels. The location is central, making it easy to walk to all the main sights, shops, and restaurants. The hotel itself has great amenities and a stylish atmosphere that really adds to the stay. The staff was very helpful and attentive, making everything smooth and enjoyable. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Brussels!
Jonathan V — Google review
A few years ago, I stayed at this hotel and had an excellent experience. Unfortunately, I’ve noticed that the rating has started to drop recently — and now I understand why. A few days ago, I stayed at The Dominican again. The restaurant and bar service were as great as always — polite, attentive staff and excellent quality. But the reception… that was something else At night, I called the reception with a simple request, and the man on the line simply ignored it. In the morning, during check-out, I saw the same employee — a man with blond hair tied back in a ponytail(i think). His behavior was extremely rude and unacceptable for a hotel of this level. What made it even worse was that this happened on our last day of vacation. However, during the two previous nights, other reception staff were on duty, and they were very polite. I honestly doubt that next time I’m in Brussels, I would want to stay here again!
Robert H — Google review
I have stayed at the Dominican Hotel twice before. This time around, I spent five nights, October 9 through 14, 2025. My room faced the courtyard--during my previous visits the room was on the other side, but no less impressive. In the past, I had used the hotel restaurant; the food was first class! The hotel website gives accurate description of the accommodation and services.

⸻ The worst hotel experience I have ever had We stayed at The Dominican Brussels for 3 nights, after carefully checking ratings and reviews. Unfortunately, it turned out to be the worst hotel experience we have ever had. When we first entered the room, the bathtub was not properly cleaned and the complimentary snacks had already been opened. We overlooked this, but the real problem started the next morning. Despite the “Do Not Disturb” sign on our door, someone tried to open it and enter our room. Only after I shouted loudly did the person apologize and quickly run away down the corridor. When I reported this to the reception, they admitted they had mistakenly assigned our room to another guest. They apologized, but honestly, what difference did it make? For the rest of our stay, we felt unsafe, worried that someone could open our door at any time, with no respect for our privacy. The same night, around 3:00 AM, a man claiming to be hotel security banged aggressively on our door, causing panic. He didn’t speak English, and with hand gestures, he tried to tell us there had been a noise complaint from the neighboring room — even though there was no noise at all. Instead of simply calling our room, he chose to disturb us in the middle of the night, while earlier he had failed to prevent another guest from trying to enter our room. This was an unacceptable breach of safety and privacy. As frequent travelers who have stayed at many hotels over the years, we have never experienced anything worse.
M.fatih H — Google review
From the outside, I was expecting more old world splendor. While I didnt get that, I did get solid service and a very nice room. Parking is pricey (at the local garages), and i was told garages are safer. In my thought bubble, I was thinking... safer than what?? I didnt ask. The area is a little sketchy, but the hotel is in a very nice, well lit courtyard.
GreenGoat S — Google review
Very elegant hotel centrally located in Brussels. Most languages spoken here and the service is top notch. Rooms are spacious, clean, and include complimentary snacks. Dyson hair dryer is standard in the room along with iron, board, fridge. Beautiful views too!
Jason H — Google review
Good location, but very poor service. Our 2 year old son burned his hand on a floor lamp in the hotel lobby. When we asked the front desk for help finding a pharmacy, they didn’t know which one was open and gave no follow-up. No one checked in to see what had happened or how our son was doing, which shows a lack of basic care and responsibility. Breakfast was also very limited. Rooms were small but fine. Overall, the hotel feels unsafe for young children and the staff unhelpful.

10/10 location. We enjoyed being right in the middle of everything, and if that is what you are looking for, this is a good pick. The hotel could use some updates, but it is not bad by any means. I was not thrilled with being told breakfast is 30€ a person. Maybe I am wrong, but that seems high for a breakfast at a normal hotel in Europe. Overall, would stay here again, and would recommend to someone else.
Drew S — Google review
Con: - The rooms are typical, but it has a smell. I think it smells like cigarettes embedded in the curtains and walls over the years even though it has a no smoking sign on the door. It's not very strong, but can be noticeable if you're sensitive to scents. - Water pressure is unpredictable. Some days I had to let the water run for 5-10 minutes before it starts to get warm. Once it's warm, I'm not able to adjust the water temperature, probably just for my room, the faucet seems stuck, so I had to take a quick burning hot shower. - The elevator is old and sometimes the floor buttons don't work. It would randomly clear the pressed floor button and take you to a random floor. - Breakfast room is a little hard to find. You should need to ask to find it. Pro: - The lobby flowers are fresh and beautiful to look at, changes every day. - The rooftop bar is nice and convenient for some drinks. - The proximity to attractions and train station is perfect.
Cindy L — Google review
We stayed in a first-floor room, and honestly, it could use some updating. The furniture feels a bit old, the walls behind the wardrobes are bare, and the bathroom fixtures have seen better days. The fan in the bathroom wasn’t working either. Also, the bed wasn’t the most comfortable I’ve had at a hotel—but that might just come down to personal preference. Breakfast was fine for us, but it was exactly the same every day. A bit more variety or creativity wouldn’t hurt. That said, the location is excellent, and the staff were incredibly kind and helpful. With some refurbishment, this place could be a real gem.

For a first-time guest coming from different contingent to Brussels, the overall experience we had during our stay at Warwick Grand-Place Brussels was remarkable. From the moment we walked inside the hotel building to front office desk to managing to bring our luggage to the room, up until the check-out time, everyone from Warwick Grand-Place Brussels team were brilliantly welcome us with the warmest most friendly gestures; made us feels like a family member coming home during long holiday. Using our Endless Summer Member Exclusive rate from Warwick's official website, we booked Classic Queen room type and it was one of the best experience ever. Our room quality was so perfect with all the essentials amenities, perfect bed size and sound-proof wall to ensure our maximum rest. During our stay for the business trip purpose, WiFi played as one of vital aspect to maintain our work coordination across contingents and Warwick Grand-Place Brussels has the high-speed internet to complete our journey. Despite the main selling-point has always been the best location on the central city of Brussels, Warwick is undeniably has its 4-star hotel's signature standard of professional service that succeeded to made us feels like going back home to our family. And craving to be back again. Thank you for the great hospitality and service.

I was going to give a 3-4 star review based on a 10 night stay in the summer. However, after my return, I discovered I had been charged €30 for a breakfast, which I never had! I contacted accounting to tell them to refund the amount and they never did. That is THEFT. The location was good, although the air-conditioning didn't work properly despite multiple contacts at the reception to get it to be set to lower temp. The location is convenient, especially if you need to take the train from gare central, despite the homeless/drug addicts/drunk/smoking people at the closest entrance..that's not the hotels fault, Brussels Police should clear the area, it doesn't feel safe AT ALL.
Astrid C — Google review
The hotel was excellent in every way, and my stay was very comfortable. However, the only downside was that the security deposit was never refunded, even though I was told it would be returned after a few days. At check-out, we left the room completely clean, didn’t break anything, and didn’t use anything beyond normal use. Overall, I do recommend the hotel, but I hope they improve the deposit refund process. It’s been 21 days and I still haven’t received my security deposit refund.

We stayed in Warwick Brussels from 18/6 to 21/6. We were greeted by not very polite receptionist on 18/6 around 1.30pm. Concierge was not customer oriented at all. He saw us with bags and luggage going into the lift but did not bother to help to press the lift and simply walked away. That was an unwelcome gesture. Housekeeping was not consistent. Our 2 bottles of water were replaced on 19/6 but not on 20/6. When I called the Housekeeper, he directed me to Room Service. When I called the Room service, he told me the bottled water was only offered during arrival and ask me to go to the reception. If that’s the policy, why didn’t the House keeper simply tell me that? This is again not a client service-oriented practice. Want to specially thank Mr Martin from concierge who was helpful in getting my airport transfer arranged and providing useful info on the timing and taxi. Also the staffs in the breakfast restaurant are all polite and attentive. Overall, I think the service level needs to be improved if you are looking forward to international guests in this service-emphasis industry.

The Hotel ibis Brussels off Grand Place is a great value for money option in central Brussels. The rooms are comfortable and clean, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel offers free Wi-Fi and a 24 hour bar, making it the perfect place to relax after a busy day exploring Belgium's capital city.
It is located in a very good and central location, with an abundance of cafes, eateries, shops and the Central train station and the Grand Place within very close walking distance. I would have given more than 5 stars for the location if I could. The hotel staff are friendly and professional. I arrived much earlier than the usual check in time and requested if early check in is possible. The staff promptly checked and managed to arrange for a room despite it being a peak holiday season (summer). Room wise, everything was clean, neat and functional.

The hotel is located in the heart of the city, making it very convenient for shopping and getting around. The room, although a bit small, was functional and comfortable. The only drawback was the poor sound insulation—closing the door made a loud noise. Breakfast was very disappointing, with very limited options and little variety. At the reception, the Belgian staff were not very friendly, but the Asian staff provided excellent service. The lobby had a nice sitting area, and the restroom was located on the lower floor. Overall, the main downside was the breakfast, which really needs improvement

Pros: -The location is excellent; the train and metro stations are easily accessible on foot. -There are plenty of restaurants nearby due to its central location, and it’s close to many tourist attractions. -The reception staff were helpful. -The room was cleaned daily. Cons: -The rooms are very small. -There is no minibar, kettle, tea, coffee, or slippers in the room. -There is no wardrobe with doors, only open shelves. -Rooms facing the back can be noisy due to people in the square until morning. -Bed had just one bedside table. -There was no bath mat, so we had to use one of the hair towels. -The only glasses provided were in the bathroom.

Our stay at the ibis Brussels off Grand Place from September 1-5 was simply outstanding, thanks to the fantastic team. Right from the moment we arrived, we were greeted with manager Christian's exceptionally bright smile and warm welcome, which set a wonderful tone for our entire trip. The front desk staff—Rosa, Esther, Ilenia, and Vitor, who worked both day and night shifts—were consistently friendly and incredibly helpful. They provided clear and detailed answers to all our questions, from finding breakfast alternatives to arranging a late check-out and safely storing our luggage. The service truly went above and beyond when the team offered to keep our fruit and yogurt in the kitchen fridge, a surprising and thoughtful gesture since there was no fridge in our room. This small act made a huge difference for us and was a perfect example of their impressive, can-do attitude. Our room was clean and comfortable, with excellent hygiene, a great shower, and a large, comfortable bed. Overall, this was a fantastic experience, and we can't thank the entire team enough for their hospitality. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Brussels!

We stayed at the hotel for our holiday stay in Brussels and was nothing short of amazing. The staff was very accommodating & helped us with an early checkin a few hours before the actual check-in. The staff was also super helpful and accommodated our needs with a wonderful smile. The facility is very close to bus stop and you can always get buses to the city centre easily from next to the hotel. We were honestly very impressed with the connectivity.

I am also very disappointed as I also booked a room before Christmas for April and it was cancelled without a reason . They don’t answer the phone. Nor booking says why or gives alternative to same prices especially as the new hotel booked is double . I live 100 km away and I was just going with my daughter who has to take her A levels exams next day very early to make sure to be on time and don’t get any traffic. I think they could compensate or give a good deal with other hotels around

I booked a reservation at this hotel six weeks ago, and it has been canceled without any prior notification. This lack of communication was incredibly disappointing and left me scrambling to find alternative accommodation at a similar rate. It's unacceptable for a hotel to cancel a reservation without informing the guest, especially after 6 weeks when the rates doubled up. I would caution others to double-check their reservations and consider the reliability of this establishment before booking.

Nice hotel. the bathroom was spacious and everything was in order (towels, shower gel etc). The airconditioning worked fine and the coffee machine was available for a nice cup of coffee :) The beds were comfy. The overal structure of the bedroom was fine, although the lack of outlets near the bed and in the room itself was a bit of a letdown, but that didn’t disturb the overall experience.

Stayed here on business and was very quickly disappointed by the service given. My room was booked to have three single beds and we received one single and a double. This took over an hour to be sorted out. This happened to two of my colleagues, however they were able to just swap with another colleague who had two single beds, however, their card then stopped working on their door but opened the neighboring room instead... It took four attempts to get it fixed... Four times going back and fourth from trying the door to reception... In total our group were waiting 4 hours to have our rooms sorted so we could go and get some food. In my room the shower doors were unusable as they would just get stuck, made worse by the fact it was meant to be a disabled room (non of us were disabled luckily). We saw countless other visitors come back and fourth with problems with their rooms and other times people were waiting for ages to be spoken to as the staff were either disorganised or on their phones. The rooms themselves were decent and there is a nice taxi drop off round the back. If you are looking for somewhere to stay close to bars, restaurants and shops, this isn't that close. Definitely never staying here again
Anthony H — Google review
The rooms have a modern design and are clean (so the cleaning team seems to be doing their job well). But in all fairness I would not have thought this a 4* hotel and would not recommend this hotel if you have other options. The reasons are plenty: The service was close to unfriendly and didn't provide much support. During check-in I didn't receive any information about the breakfast, restaurant or bar. The windows can't be opened, which I find really terrible. There is no complimentary water in the room (which is not okay for a 4* hotel!) The bathroom needs renovation as the bathtub was broken and quick-fixed. Which hotel has a bathtub and an overlong curtain instead of a real shower? This is definitely nothing for people with disabilities or elderly people - or basically anyone. Standing on the shower curtain is not a nice experience. :( The beds are really narrow and my booking said "king size bed". I don't see how 80cm width can be king size... And something that most hotels have in common: why on earth do hotels always have a carpet in the rooms? That's disgusting!

3-4 star is what this hotel deserves. From the moment we arrived until the end they were all very friendly. The rooms were cozy, clean and prepared for our arrival. The bathroom was included with a bath and a shower together in one what is convenient. The bed itself was one of the better beds I have slept in. No downfall for that. You could even get extra pillows that they reserved in the closet for you. The room doesn’t have any windows that you can open what makes you feel like you are in a prison. Same thing for the hallways. You cant feel comfortabel in it. In the morning we had breakfast and we didn’t enjoy it at all. Of course it had the basics that everyone has, but for a €15 breakfast we expected a little bit more then what we got. It almost felt like a lunch but that would be the worst one you got. They didn’t even ask for the room number you’re in so you could just basically go in and out without any problems. Also the refills they normally do were just not there. We had to wait or even ask them to do it what took a lot of our time.

When checking reviews written by earlier travellers, we almost did not reserve this hotel. We are glad we overlooked the negativeness of many reviewers. We have found this property much above what we had expected. The reception upon arrival turned out to be outstanding , one of the best ever received at any hotel over our 60 years of extensive travel…Our rooms are up to any standards, clean, functional ..cozy beds, quiet …Our only reservation was the rather poor quality of the food available at the restaurant…in a country where food is reputed to be among the best in the world…The underground parking was easy, and inexpensive at 10 euros per night. Overall…. A delightful experience to be repeated. We had 2 rooms for a four nights stay.

Café Novo is a versatile café-restaurant in Brussels, offering Belgian and international dishes in a cozy setting with a leafy garden terrace. While not specifically designed for children, it's family-friendly with a homely atmosphere and a great selection of books for both young and old. Whether you're looking for a quick coffee or a full meal, this charming spot provides an inviting ambiance to relax with friends or enjoy some quiet time alone.
We stopped by at this place to drink coffee and tea. Very kind staff who are helpful and welcoming. The lady can’t speak English but she was very kind that we wanted to give the credits.

It’s a great place with the amazing vibe and amazing food. The price is really reasonable for the Flemish stew and the quality is unmatched. The servers are really nice and helpful. They even gave me a recommendations about what to do in the city. It’s not really touristy so you can experience the local vibe here. Overall, I had a great time.

Great place, and great people. The meals were great. Prices like everywhere in Brussels.

Visiting as a medical doctor and father of a son with food allergies, most notably anaphylactic reaction to milk protein, although others such as eggs nuts and seafood as well. We came prepared with translated statements of all allergies to French and the waiter spoke some English and he recommended, after some debate, since he was not entirely sure about the bolognese with regards to milk, the hamburger and fries. We asked several times about the bread in the buns and if it contained milk protein. Hos colleague, the server, later brings a brioche hamburger with salad under a vinaigrette. Upon question whether the vinaigrette contains eggs she is visibly annoyed only to later confirm it does indeed contain eggs. My wife’s suspicion and vigilance made her question the burger buns also, since brioche is typically made with butter (dairy product with milk protein. At this point the son already took a bite of the bread and as suspected they shortly realised and confirmed it had butter in it. The waiter almost condescending answered our questions on the milk contents of the bread by stating that we all are “having a relaxing morning”. Only to seem a little more hesitant after realising his mistake in serving milk protein to a severely allergic boy. The fact that they “never had a question about food allergies before” is not adequate explanation for the obvious lack of understanding to serve bread Albeit stressed and visibly concerned, they did not offer any compensation or complimentary service and charged the full amount for all food that they served containing anaphylaxis inducing allergens despite thorough and translated information. Apphauled we left and only later could relax when thankfully no severe reaction to the dairy containing bread occurred. We are only passing through, but this episode needs to reflect somehow onto the capability of the staff and the service of this establishment. And act as a warning to anyone with dietary restrictions to avoid this place.

Lovely location in a central square but more hidden from the rest, got a recommendation from a bar worker and we were not disappointed, traditional Belgian food at a reasonable price. Definitely not a tourist trap. We got scampi and 2 carbonnades, delicious food, diverse choice also for pastas or salads, lots of beer choices, spacious terrace. Would recommend

All I expected from a nice Belgian neighborhood restaurant and bistro. The hosts were particularly friendly and the service was great. And, hey, there is a Jaques Brel statue right in front of the restaurant.

Café Novo in Brussels offers a mixed dining experience that balances positives with some drawbacks. While it's not the best place in town, it provides a decent opportunity to sample Belgian gastronomy without breaking the bank. The prices are on the higher side considering the quality, but it's a reasonable option for exploring local cuisine affordably. The ambiance at Café Novo is a bit of a mixed bag. The interior might not be the cutest, but the terrace offers a pleasant setting, especially during good weather. It's a relaxing spot to enjoy some of Belgium's great beers and take in the atmosphere of the city center. Service is generally satisfactory, though it can vary depending on the day and time. The staff are friendly enough and provide adequate attention to guests. Overall, Café Novo is worth a stop if you're exploring the city center and looking for a place to enjoy Belgian dishes and local beers. It's not a place that will necessarily wow you, but it serves its purpose as a decent option for tourists and locals alike.

Café Novo offers a satisfying experience for those looking to try traditional Belgian cuisine. We had the opportunity to taste their “Carbonnades”, A flavorful Belgian Flemish Stew. The sauce was rich and added depth to the tender beef. The “Boulettes”, Meatballs in tomato sauce, could have been more flavorful if cooked a bit longer, but they still provided a decent taste. Both dishes came with traditional fries which were quite good. If you are seeking a taste of traditional Belgian fare in a pleasant setting, Café Novo is a suitable choice.

Theater Hotel in Brussels offers a budget-friendly stay with colorful rooms and suites. The boutique hotel is conveniently located near Rogier metro station, making it suitable for both business travelers and tourists. The rooms are equipped with amenities such as TV and hairdryer, while the hotel also provides complimentary Wi-Fi. Guests appreciate the cleanliness of the hotel and spacious rooms, along with additional facilities like a microwave and hot water boiler for guest use.
Easy to find and service staff were friebdly. The hotel was quite nice and clean (and not dusty, which was really good), and the room was spacious. Theres a microwave and hotwater boiler downstairs freely usable which is nice too. Great value for the price. Location is close to gare du Nord station. The area itself is a bit dodgy, with prostitutes standing on all the corners around the building. It's a bit of a strange contrast since the hotel itself was pretty nice.
James C — Google review
The staff was very friendly but the quality of the pictures is not represented in the pictures shown on the site. I understand the quality of hotel but cleanliness is an easy fix. The other issue we experienced was the location across from an hourly hotel (Studio 2000) used by prostituted at all hours of the day. We were somewhat approached but also just the stares made us feel unwelcome and that is not what you want when traveling in another city and paying for a place to stay.
Danny M — Google review
Pros: Everything was clean and the staff were friendly. Contras: The photos on the website make the hotel look better than it is. It is a very simple hotel, I would definitely not call it a "boutique design hotel". We didn't get the room we saw on the photos of the website when we booked - different furniture, and ours also had a kitchenette (not necessarily a bad thing, just not the room we thought we had booked). The building was quite noisy and not well-isolated. I could hear people's conversations in the room above us and outside clearly. The pillows were very poor quality. Please invest in better pillows. 15 min walk of the city center, but in a weird neighbourhood so not recommended when you will arrive/leave late at night or early in the morning.

A great hotel for a short trip in Brussels, whilst the local area isn’t the greatest with the street workers in the side streets, we were very close to the city and to many Christmas Markets which were great for a hot drink and a quick bite to eat! The rooms were clean and modern, would suggest a change in the wall or carpet colour (both being black) as at night time some of the automatic lights don’t work and it makes it very hard to see when going up the stairs. Overall the room was clean, tidy and in a good location.

Stayed 2 nights just before Christmas as part of a big party. We were in a twin room in the adjoining building on the top floor. The room was very clean and perfectly comfortable albeit up some pretty steep steps. The location was good: about 10 mins away from the main end of town. The location is in a red light district. However, it was perfectly fine and not as intimidating or as much of a problem as others are making out. We had a couple of late nights on the local beer and not once did we have any problems. If anything, the locals were pretty friendly! Additionally, we found "Flamingo" just around the corner which was a brilliant bar with a good selection of drinks and a fantastic atmosphere. Well worth a visit if you are in the area. If I was back in town and looking for a cheap and cheerful hotel; I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Not far from the station and the center (10min by walk). Clean room with enough place for our stuffs. Clean bathroom with large douche, towels and soap. Modern and nice colors. very good breakfast Quiet neighbourhood at night. Very recomended ;)
Yasmine V — Google review
Disgusting and dirty. My group only stayed 1 of the two nights we paid for, then thankfully checked into the Hotel des Colonies around down the street. There was hair in the showers and on the towels when we arrived. There were brown stains and small pieces of garbage under our pillows (which obviously hadn't been cleaned or changed). And hard crumbs under the top sheet (we hope it was crumbs because we were too scared to look.) There was also a cockroach spotted in the room. The street is known for prostitution and we highly think (based on information from locals) that this hotel is used by these prostitutes (that also scream and fight with each other all night). Especially since the part of the hotel we stayed in has a separate entrance that you get buzzed into without providing any room or name information, also posing a security risk. This hotel is TOTALLY misrepresented on the website!! I would never suggest this hotel to anyone!!! I would give this hotel ZERO stars if it would let me.
S C — Google review
Great 2* hotel. Not expecting this. We had room on the highest floor, it was spacious and clean. There is no lift but that was not a problem in our case. The only problem is the location, it is 10 minutes walkin to the “epicentre” of Brussels, but on the street are lot of weird people, especially women affording their bodies :) and this may cause noise during nightime. Fortunately, it was not our case and we slept well, but for someone it can be uncomfortable to go back to hotel through this dirty street full of btchs.
