Ramen restaurant
Yoshimuraya is the original restaurant where Iekei ramen, a popular style of ramen in Japan, originated. Located just minutes from Yokohama station, it is known for its rich and flavorful broth with a layer of oil on top. The restaurant often has long queues due to its popularity, with approximately 1,500 customers visiting each day. The pork is thick and juicy, and the noodles have a nice chew to them.
A very special experience indeed. Earmarked this place for many years and finally got the chance to try it. Exepecting a long line, we decided to join the queue at 1030 (shop opens at 11) on a Sunday. True enough. The line already snaked round the block! Turned out to be a 2-hour wait. Wasn't too bad as weather was nice and cool. Wouldn't recommend it in summer! Staff was polite and efficient. As we neared our turn, we were ushered to the vending machine to place our orders. Familiarize yourself with the menu before you go so that ordering will be super easy. Cash is required. (insert sufficient cash then keep selecting your choices. Small tokens will be dispensed based on your choices. Once done, twist the knob to get your change). Once in the shop, place your tokens on the table and wait for your bowl of noodles to appear! Self-serviced garnish, sauces, chilli, garlic and water. The noodles were done to perfection. The charsiu was incredibly tasty. Love the broth too. We felt pressured to finish our noodles even though the staff never once chased us out. This was prob because everyone else seemed to finish their noodles in record time! I think it's definitely ok to take your time to savour the food but prob not hang around to chitchat.

During Golden Week, I had the chance to revisit the famous Yoshimura-ya (吉村家) for the first time in 20 years. Arriving just before 6:00 PM, the line was already significant, resulting in a waiting time of about 100 minutes. It's clearly still a hugely popular spot! Once seated, you place your order and are asked about your preferences for the ramen – specifically the richness of the flavor (味の濃さ) and the firmness of the noodles (麺の硬さ). We ordered some extra toppings: wood ear mushrooms (kikurage), spicy green onions (karashi negi), and onions (tama negi). A heads-up for anyone visiting: the quantity of these toppings is quite generous, so they are definitely enough to share between two people. After such a long break, tasting the ramen again was a treat. It was delicious, just as I remembered. However, reflecting on the meal, I think I would order the noodles just a little bit firmer next time to achieve my perfect texture. Overall, despite the long wait, it was a very satisfying and tasty experience.
Peanutflavor C — Google review
The broth was thinner than expected. I could understand the reviews from those disappointed compared to the past. The pork aroma is more dominant, and the soy sauce has a sharp punch. Although I ordered firm noodles, they were soft, and the chashu was tender with a well-executed smokiness
Sungmin L — Google review
Amazing iekei style tonkotsu-shoyu ramen. We went at 1pm and was seated and served at 2pm. The actual queue was at the back alley and not at the store front. The shop only accepts cash.
SN — Google review
On a recommendation from someone I know, I decided to visit a famous ramen shop while I was in Yokohama. After waiting in line for about an hour, I finally got to enjoy the Chashu Ramen Omori (large portion). The staff were friendly, and the ramen was generally tasty, but it felt somewhat ordinary.
최선홍 — Google review
Very good Iekei style ramen. I came in around 230pm on a weekday and there was a line of like 10 people. The ramen and broth is delicious and I like the shredded ginger on the table especially that you can put in your bowl to adjust the flavor.
Ak — Google review
A well known Yokohama style ramen store. There is always a queue in front of the store. Luckily I didn’t have to wait long to come in to eat. Ramen is delicious. On tables have picked ginger, ginger paste, garlic paste, crispy garlic flakes, vinegar, pepper for your choices to season your ramen bowl.
Khanh D — Google review
For the first timer, please choose less rich and less salty, trust me, otherwise it would be hard to handle… The noodle has great texture, soup is delicious with chicken oil flavor. Pork chasu is rather thick cut and nice.

Tsuruichiya is a down-to-earth restaurant in Yokohama, known for its compact surroundings and delicious ramen dishes. It's conveniently located near JR/Tokyu Toyoko Line/Minatomirai Line West Exit, making it easily accessible. The shop offers highly recommended ramen bowls with large sliced roast pork and flavorful soup, especially catering to those who enjoy spicy or full-meaty options.
The flavors in their ramen are so subtile and rich at the same time, is hard to explain but the umami taste just hits the spot! I tried it 5 years ago and this time around it tasted even better than what I remember, and this is proof of their kaizen (constant improvement) mindset; a true gem in Yokohama, highly recommend!

My First “Iekei” Ramen Experience in Yokohama This was my first time trying authentic Iekei ramen in its birthplace, Yokohama. When I think of Iekei ramen, I usually picture a rich, salty broth that pairs perfectly with a bowl of rice. However, the broth here was creamy and flavorful yet surprisingly easy to drink. Even with my health checkup approaching, I almost ended up finishing the entire bowl! The shop prides itself on its “creamy, rich broth made by carefully simmering domestic pork bones,” and it truly lived up to that claim. The noodles were slightly thinner than typical Iekei ramen noodles, but they complemented the broth perfectly. It may not cater precisely to hardcore Iekei ramen fans, but I personally feel that this is a bowl of ramen anyone can enjoy. The shop is also conveniently located within a 10-minute walk from Yokohama Station and operates 24 hours a day, making it a great option for tourists visiting the area.
むなかた屋 — Google review
If you’re looking for great ramen near Yokohama Station, this is a spot you shouldn’t miss. I was lucky to discover this 24-hour ramen shop, which likely attracts many late-night diners after parties—a sign it must be good. The setup is cozy, with a 10-seat counter and two larger tables in the back. Ordering is simple, thanks to a vending machine with English translations to assist. Interestingly, I didn’t notice many tourists here, which added to the local charm. What stood out was the ability to customize your bowl—you can choose the noodle firmness, soup spiciness, and toppings like bamboo shoots or bean sprouts. I opted for the spicy tonkotsu soup base ramen with chashu and eggs, while a family member chose the non-spicy signature version. I added ground sesame seeds to the broth for extra flavor, which worked wonderfully. The ramen was excellent, and the only thing that could’ve made it better would have been pairing it with a cold beer. The young chefs running the shop did a fantastic job, and I’ll definitely be back!
Andrew G — Google review
A fatty-flavorful soup gets along very well with the noodles I ordered hard texture. Very nice and complete experience. I added garlic paste to the ramen and gave a really nice touch. A dense milky soup delivered a very tasty experience to this ramen
William H — Google review
Amazing ramen near Yokohama station! Open 24 hours. Definitely try the tsukemen (dipping ramen) - the noodles are SO thick and chewy. The pork here is amazing, too. The ticket machine even takes Suica and has English! This time I tried the cold summer ramen as well, and it was really bright and fresh with a sesame paste soup. They have two big tables in the back perfect for groups. It’s a must hit every time I’m in the area!
Kim M — Google review
Great ramen! We had the special tonkotsu ramen and it was very filling and tasty. If you’re going here near mid-end March 2024 there is some construction happening in the area and the restaurant looks blocked off, but it’s actually open. We just had to let the construction men know where we wanted to go and they let us through.
Mae — Google review
This is the best iekei style ramen I have tasted so far. The broth was next level rich and flavourful, and the chashu was amazingly melt in your mouth good. We went at around 4:30pm on a Sunday, and it was very quiet. The service was quick and friendly, and the shop was clean.

Really good late night ramen. The chashew was really soft and the spiciness of the broth was 👌 You could add more chilli and garlic to your dish too.

Ramen restaurant
Shina-sobaya, also known as Shina Sobaya Hoten, is a casual noodle house that focuses on Chinese-style soba and soups. The late Chef Minoru Sano's innovative approach to ramen has made this place famous for its flavorful bowls of noodles. The highlight of their ramen is the rich and delicious soup, which is made from nearly 30 ingredients.
I went to this restaurant around 4pm during weekday. There was no line to enter the restaurant. I ordered soy-sauce ramen and pork chashiu rice. The price wasn’t cheap as the ramen with egg costs 1500 yen and rice bowl costs 600 yen. But the taste was amazing and I felt that they use the good materials to make this ramen.
Ryosuke — Google review
This ramen reminds me the nostalgic taste I had eaten a long time ago. You can enjoy two flavors Soy sauce or Salt. Roasted pork fillet is so tender.

Went this evening to try the ramen My wife ordered the shioyu and I ordered the salted ramen wantan The shioyu is very salty but the salt one is not very salty. The wantan filling are extremely salty Overall it's not worth the price Each bowl with an added ajitamago cost ¥1500 + 300 Only the slice pork n Bamboo tasted good 👍

Ordered the Shio Ramen with Waton. Light ramen, not too heavy. Usually I can't finish the broth, but the broth was amazing!

This is hands-down the best ramen I've had in Japan. I can drink the entire bowl of broth, the pork is delicious, and the soft boiled eggs are cooked perfectly. I highly recommend the salt ramen!

Pretty solid, enjoyable ramen. I had shio ramen so it was pretty light but a bit salty.

The Shin-Yokohama Ramen Museum is a unique destination that offers a nostalgic experience of old Japan and the world of ramen. It features a traditional street food court with shops offering samples of ramen dishes from different regions, allowing visitors to taste and learn about the history of this beloved dish. The museum also has a theatre where performances about the history of ramen noodles are showcased.
This is a must visit when you're in Yokohama. Ramen is a Japan special and the history and tradition are displayed here. Bonus is that there is a ramen food court at the basement floors recreating the magic and decor of ancient times. We chose to go to Rairaiken, the historic first ramen restaurant of Tokyo opening in 1920. It subsequently closed in 1976. Fortunately Rairaiken started again in 2020 at this museum carefully reproducing the old recipe and magic. This was our first introduction to Ramen in Japan. And we chose a small bowl with Char Siu. I must say we were sweeped off our feet. The soy broth was light and so flavorful, noodles are soft and the Char Siu firm and succulent. I was craving for another bowl! Now I know why Ramen is legendary in Japan. Not to mention the ultimate cleanliness and meticulous attention to everything!
Amit C — Google review
TLDR: good for tasting different ramen bowls downstairs in small sizes but wish the museum had a bit more substance We definitely enjoyed a few bowls of ramen downstairs. I enjoyed the cappuccino tonkotsu ramen at stall 8 and the shoyu/tonkotsu at stall 4. I also liked that they let you get a small size for 680 yen instead of a full size so you can try multiple. However I wish the museum had a bit more substance. The gift shop is bigger than the actual museum itself. Overall a good experience still
Wilson T — Google review
For an experience this is a good place, but not exactly a museum. Entrance fee for an adult is 450yen. Inside, if you pay another 5000 with a reservation you can make ramen noodle on your own.( making the dough i guess) the 1F has a few walls with history of ramen and evolution of ramen in Japan. Also there’s a souvenir shop. In B1 and B2 there are retro type ramen shop which gives the vibe of old japan ramen alleys. Here you may choose a ramen shop to dine and you have to line up between 30~1hour depending on the popularity of the shop. And agin after paying you can enjoy your ramen. So the entrance fee is kind of exaggerated because it is not exactly a “museum”. As an overall it was a nice experience and ramen was good.
Upeka W — Google review
The history of ramen in Japan was interesting but the highlight was the ramen food mall in the basement. With the help of a young Japanese woman we queued up for about half an hour to order at our chosen restaurant. The wait was definitely worth it. One of the best konkatsu ramens I’ve ever eaten. Midweek would probably have been five stars.
David P — Google review
Really fun visit with multiple ramen restaurants inside. They are rotating restaurants so they will always be eventually different. Can also get half sized ramen as well. Had a rich history section and a nice souvenir shop. Line up for ramen varies with what time you go.
Notreally M — Google review
Lovely Museum with very tasty ramen and a lot of Info on the history of ramen. A little unfortunate that you can't just order one ramen for the whole group and sit down in the restaurants. Everybody in the group needs to order at least one ramen bowl which can get expensive quick. Other than that I liked it here very much! Will come again to taste the rest!
Dominik A — Google review
Most visit place for the lovers of Ramen 🍜. Discover the history of Ramen, shop for varies instant ramen. Try out 6 different ramen restaurants. Number 1 store seems to be the most popular. If you have time you can even book ramen noodles making class. Definitely something to do for every one young and old.

Initially we were going to the cup noodles Museum in Yokohama but, after reading about and visiting this one, I think we made the best choice. The ambience is great, you can choose between many reagional ramen and make your own dry ramen to take home with any picture. You choose. Not packed (we went at the beginning of august), well worth it.

Located just a 3-minute walk from the West Exit of Tokyu Toyoko Line Yokohama Station, Ippudo Minatomirai Tokyu Square offers a spacious and inviting atmosphere. The restaurant is known for serving some of the best ramen in Yokohama, with a variety of flavorful options to choose from, including original and spicy miso broths. In addition to its delicious offerings for adults, Ippudo also provides a children's menu.
Wonderful ippudo ramen spot. They actually forgot my orange juice but not a big deal. They took it off the bill and gave it to me to go which was cool. Of course food was bomb. When in Yokohama, coming back!
Wenjay S — Google review
Great ramen as usual from Ippudo. What’s great is that this branch is less crowded than usual so one could usually enter without crazy queues on a weekday evening. The nearby Afuri is my choice on days when I prefer lighter tasting ramen, both are great eateries!
Gary L — Google review
If you decide to eat Ramen in here, Must add the pork belly slice. Remember, Add THE PORK BELLY !!!! also I ate so many spicy base ramen, here is very flavored soups, kind of Vietnamese soup. It is so amazing flavor of Karaka!!
민진 — Google review
I wandered into Ippudo in the basement of MARK IS like a weary explorer in search of treasure...except the treasure was ramen, and the map was an escalator that never seemed to end. The place hums with efficiency: salarymen slurping in perfect rhythm, couples whispering over broth like it’s a shared secret, and me - trying to look cool while sweating into my noodles because Yokohama in summer is approximately the temperature of the sun. Ordering is done via tablet, which makes you feel like you’re part of a futuristic ramen experiment. I poked the screen like a confused caveman until my Tonkotsu order was confirmed...& when it arrived, the bowl looked like something you’d see in a museum exhibit called “Perfection in Pork Form.” The broth was creamy & rich without crossing into “I might need a nap” territory. The noodles had just the right chew, and that slice of pork? Absolute poetry. If Shakespeare had written about ramen, this would’ve been his muse. The atmosphere is cozy chaos: chefs calling out orders, customers inhaling noodles like competitive athletes, and the faint sense that time doesn’t exist down here...only broth, steam, and joy.
Jim R — Google review
A decent Ippudo location! The menu is in English (even if the staff doesn't speak it) and everything is cooked to the Ippudo standard. I really enjoyed my mentaiko don and the ramen was rich and hearty. This store is a little less well kept than other locations, but it's by no means dirty. We waited about 15 mins to be seated and were out in 30 mins. Everything was run efficiently, though the staff were a little catty with each other

Impressed how quickly food was served after ordering. You’re handed an ipad where you can customize your ramen with lots of options. Food was tasty and fresh

Sugitaya is a popular spot in Yokohama known for serving authentic and delicious Japanese ramen. Locals highly recommend adding a seasoned egg and extra nori sheets to soak up the flavorful soup, along with some garlic paste and vinegar for a unique taste. One of my most favorite ramen in the world! Whenever I visit Yokohama, I must visit. I always add a seasoned egg (味付け玉子), and extra sheets of nori (のり). The seaweed soaks up the soup and tastes good. Also, add some garlic paste and a bit of vinegar towards the end for a unique taste. Update: visit on November 3, 2020. At 9am, there is a line 15 people deep.

The best ramen on this planet. Went again on 12/29/2021 which is the last day for this year at 6AM and waited 70 minutes in a blistering cold temperature. About 70 were in line. My hand was so cold that I couldn't catch the noodles with the chopsticks 🥢 but loved it.

Really delicious "iekei" style ramen. On the counter, they have both minced garlic and garlic paste, which almost all ramen shops don't. The soup had a perfect balance of saltiness and thickness. I'd say that the ramen there may be enjoyed by any age group. Also, the ramen shop is not that far from the station. I'd definitely make a stop again if I'm in the area.

Good chicken ramen with a tinge of yuzu. We had the ship based and Shoyu based ramen when we visited and both of us preferred the one with Shoyu based broth. Amazing! Not only is the broth chicken/fish but they have the choice for thin sliced chicken instead of pork. They also have a vegetarian option as well.

The ramen is tasty and special, I ordered Yuzu Shio ramen, it doesn’t taste salty like other Japan Ramen used to be, however, it tastes very mild bitter at the end taste as it is Yuzu. Service is excellent, I definitely will come back again. *I came in the afternoon around 1.30pm and no queue ✌️*

Ramen restaurant
Ramen Suehiroya is a modest eatery near Hakuraku Station in Yokohama, gaining popularity for its classic ramen dishes, rice bowls, and grilled meats. Despite the unassuming appearance, this spot is renowned for its exceptional broth, springy noodles, and flavorful chashu. It's advisable to avoid peak hours due to the long queues that form outside the small shop.
Great iekei shop, flavors were strong and delicious. If you like iekei style ramen this spot is a must visit. So good. Pretty busy spot, ticket machine is inside the shop to the right and you buy a ticket before being seated. As usual for iekei spots be prepared to let staff know the strength of flavor/amount of chicken fat/and firmness of noodle.
Jesse P — Google review
Finally, an iekei ramen that is not overly salty and imo suitable for foreigners. For those who’ve tried iekei famen, you would know that it can be extremely savoury and strong - like literally drinking soy sauce. This one to me, strikes the perfect balance. Just strong enough to be flavourful, yet balanced enough that you can actually finish the soup if you prefer. The balance of the broth, cha shu, noodle texture, garnish was done to perfection. It’s so good you don’t need to add anything extra, like garlic, chili or vinegar. This is by far the best iekei ramen I’ve ever had. Best of all, you don’t feel thirsty after eating. That’s a plus.
Derek L — Google review
This ramen shop was excellent! When we submitted our orders they were ready for us very quickly and the food was absolutely delicious. Some notable parts of the ramen include the smooth, flavorful, rich, broth and the toppings and seasoning they give. Which add a whole other dimension to the ramen and add an extra punch to the food. Not only was the service and the food excellent, but as a tourist, this spot felt so authentic with the ramen bar but also was very friendly to Americans. They were good at speaking English and interactions were smooth and easy. On top of all of this, the food was very cheap 😋. I loved eating here and would totally recommend it to any local or tourist in the Yokohama area.

One of the famous ramen shop in Yokohama City. Also one of my favorite ramen shop. The broth, the texture of the noodles and meat or chashu are excellent. Must try ramen. If you wanna eat here, just avoid lunch time or dinner time because the line of the people who also wants to eat is insane! (Translated by Google) Kuriyama, a tsukemen specialty restaurant founded in 2008, is a 6-minute walk from Hakuraku Station on the Tokyu Toyoko Line. As many of you may know, this is a shop originally from the famous restaurant ``Taishoken'' and is the ``first independent store in Rokusha.'' The tsukemen here is delicious and I've been there several times before, but I heard that the taste had deteriorated since it reopened after being closed, so I didn't like it for a while. However, this time I had something to do in Hakuraku, so it was my first visit in a while! I visited on a Sunday at 2:30 p.m. There was a line of about 8 people in front of the store, but the timing was perfect and we were ushered inside in about 10 minutes. I ordered a cold version of Ajitama Tsukemen (200g). Is the viscosity of the seafood-flavored seafood/tonkotsu dipping sauce lower than before? The sweetness is also a little less so, perhaps the flavor vector has changed. It feels like the soy sauce makes it a little stronger and reduces the sweetness. The slightly thin and thick noodles mix well with the dipping sauce and are chewy and delicious. Even though the viscosity of the dipping sauce has decreased, I think it mixes well with the noodles. After you finish eating the noodles, use the remaining dipping sauce for the soup and enjoy it until the end! Rather than saying that the flavor has deteriorated, I feel that the current taste has settled down as a result of making improvements to the dipping sauce and adjusting the overall balance. It's true that the punching power has decreased compared to before, but even with that in mind, I think it's still delicious. While the umami of the animal and seafood is strong, the overall balance of sweetness, spiciness and sourness is exquisite, and before you know it, you won't be able to stop eating. The extra-thick homemade noodles kneaded with kelp powder are a masterpiece that spreads the aroma of wheat the more you chew them. They are chewy yet firm, and go perfectly with the dipping sauce. Sprinkle some yuzu powder on the table and a refreshing aroma will rise up, giving the dish a whole new look. The chili pepper adds a nice spicy accent. And to finish off, you can dilute the soup yourself from the pot. Because you can adjust the amount to your liking, we recommend adding yuzu powder to enhance the aroma! (Translated by Google) I came here on a Sunday afternoon for the first time in seven or eight years. I was the third person in line to wait, and was put off by the dilapidated exterior. When I went inside, there was no greeting, and I was even more put off by the fact that the previous customer's food was left as it was. The whole place had a dirty feel to it. I ordered a ramen for ¥850, and was excited when it finally came. The thin, low-hydration noodles had a very pleasant texture that made it easy to eat. The soup was an old-school chicken broth soy sauce, which I liked. The chicken char siu was smoked, but I didn't really like it. The two slices of pork shoulder char siu were explosively delicious, and I was impressed. The komatsuna was flavorful, and this also had an extremely good effect. It was also topped with green onions, Chinese chikuwa, and nori seaweed. I think they could expand their customer base if they revised the price and brought in a cleaner regularly. Thank you for the meal. Conveniently located just a short walk from JR Yokohama Station's West exit, Ichiran offers an easily accessible dining experience.
A very unique Japanese ramen experience. This is a big chain of ramen restaurant in Japan and started in hakata. The unique dining experience include partition between diners, which makes the entire dining experience a very lonely one. But that is also the interesting part. We were there for lunch and there was a long queue. We waited more than thirty minutes before all of us had seats. Ordering was done at the vending machine outside but there was assistants there to help. The taste and standard of the noodles and broth were outstanding. They were able to replicate the taste of their ramen across every restaurants in the country which was rather fascinating.

Ichiran Ramen is easily one of the best ramen experiences I’ve had. From the moment you step in, you can tell they have perfected not only their ramen but also the entire dining process to ensure efficiency and quality. One of the unique aspects of Ichiran is the ordering system. Instead of ordering from a waiter, you use a vending machine at the entrance to select your ramen and any additional toppings. It’s simple, convenient, and ensures a smooth ordering process even during peak hours. After receiving a ticket from the machine, you hand it to the staff, and they quickly prepare your meal. Now, onto the ramen itself—the star of the show. The broth is absolutely incredible. It’s rich, creamy, and packed with deep umami flavors that come from hours of slow-cooking pork bones. It has that signature tonkotsu depth without being too heavy. You can also customize various aspects of your ramen, including noodle firmness, spice level, and richness of the broth, which makes for a truly personalized experience. The noodles are perfectly cooked, firm, and have a nice chew that pairs well with the flavorful broth. The chashu pork is tender and melts in your mouth, adding an extra layer of richness. Every bite is satisfying, and you can tell the quality of ingredients is top-notch. Service is impressively fast. Despite the restaurant often being busy, the efficiency of the vending machine ordering and the dedicated ramen booths make for a seamless experience. The individual seating setup ensures you can fully focus on enjoying your bowl without distractions. Overall, Ichiran delivers an outstanding ramen experience with its delicious broth, perfect noodles, and unique dining system. Whether you’re a ramen enthusiast or just looking for a quick yet high-quality meal, Ichiran is a must-visit. Highly recommended!

Just had my first Ichiran experience in Yokohama and… wow. It absolutely lives up to the hype. From the solo booths to the customizable order system, everything is designed to make the ramen the star of the show — and it delivers. The tonkotsu broth was rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced. I went with medium spice, soft noodles, and added a soft-boiled egg (10/10 would recommend). The flavor hit instantly — umami heaven in every slurp. The experience was smooth, quiet, and honestly kind of therapeutic. Whether you’re solo or with friends, this place makes you feel like the ramen was made just for you.

Besides, there is a button and a few tags on your right-hand side as commands to inform the waiter or chef if you have any issues. Overall, it's my first time having a meal without seeing people's faces. For the taste consider okay. A very good experience.

Every city we go to in Japan, we try different ramen spots. The consistency is amazing. The flavors are there every time and it's an overall pleasant experience.

WOW!!! This place is the coolest little restaurant, and I do mean little, but absolutely amazing. A friend asked me to join him at this ramen restaurant and said what the heck I'll try it. I was so excited when I walked in and ordered my food. The second u walk in the smells hit u and they're great smells. I can't wait to go again. Yummy 😋 A great big YEAH BABY!!!

Ichiran is a popular ramen restaurant located near Yokohama Station, known for its specialty in tonkotsu ramen, which features a rich pork bone broth. The menu focuses on this classic flavor and offers variations of ramen based on it. One of the unique elements of Ichiran's ramen is the red sauce topping, which adds various chili flavors to enhance the aroma.
A great ramen spot close to Yokohama Station and the Sheraton hotel. It’s also nestled in with some fun shopping spots as well! Think of it as efficient like an assembly line. Place your order in the machine and make you specific selections on paper, like a many ramen shops.then watch the board to know the status of each table/booth. Ramen was delicious and plentiful! If you’re wanting to site down and have a conversation with friends around a table, this is not the place. If you want great ramen, then you found the spot! There 3 of us at about 5pm and we had a 15 minute wait for three booths to open up side-by-side. Staff was courteous.
Jim T — Google review
Don’t listen to the snobs who say don’t bother with Ichiran. It really is good, that’s why it’s still popular hahaha always worth the long queue, and I have to have a bowl every visit
Gela I — Google review
Wonderful experience! The ramen was perfectly prepared. The soup base is on the salty side. The next time, I will order light. The price is competitive with other ramen shop but its process is an experience one needs to try. It’s open 24 hours and is worth the try. I enjoyed it and highly recommend extra ramen for $210 yen or $1.35 USD. A bowl of ramen with extra noodles is competitive at $1140 yen or $7.54 USD.
Ed J — Google review
Probably my favorite ramen chain in Japan. It's the ideal spot for reliable ramen, fast service with plenty of options for customization. The type of place you imagine when you think of Japan. Individual booths, no communication with the staff and a peaceful meal.
Chad J — Google review
first time eating here. ichiran is very popular for tourists but this branch has a long of young japanese waiting in line in the middle of the night :) staffs can speak english, vending machines and paper sheets have english translation. place is clean and cool ambiance. service is fast and quality of food is superb! husband approved! definitely going back for another late night ramen trip!
Loren S — Google review
Good for English speakers and a cool experience for tourists. We went at peak dinner time and after choosing what you would like from a ticket machine you get a order form of how you would like your ramen and then seated where the staff behind a curtain take the form and carefully bring your items to you within the privacy of your own cubical. There were 3 of us in the party and they sat us together. Spice level at medium was totally fine! Don't be scared and enjoy!
Abbie B — Google review
I love it! I ordered all at "medium" level and it's just perfect. The taste of the soup is rich, noodle is well cooked, slides of pork are fresh. I can smell almond power in the pudding 👍
MS.PUNNAPATS T — Google review
This is a great place to go with an angry spouse/partner. Just sit in a booth, and soak in and savour an exceptional broth. They take their spice seriously, so please calibrate when choosing heat levels. There is always a queue but it is zippy. The cash machines can be temperamental.

Suzukiya is a no-frills ramen shop known for its tonkatsu ramen. The ordering process involves using a machine and handing the ticket to the chef at the bar. There's only one choice of ramen, but you can customize it with toppings like dried seaweed and hard-boiled eggs. The soup is delicious, although it may be saltier than what some foreigners are used to. Despite the long lines and quick turnover, the staff are friendly and enthusiastic.
I'm a foreigner, so I'm not used to the salty taste of Japanese food in general, and this ramen shop is no exception. But it cannot be denied that the soup is very delicious. Staff are very friendly and enthusiastic. However, there were a lot of people waiting in line so I felt like I had to eat quickly, making it difficult for me to enjoy the food.
Nguyen T — Google review
I came in around 830pm on a weekday and there was a line of about 10 people. It’s Yokohama style ramen and I have had as good as this one several times. so had a great expectation due tot he great reviews, but I was not impressed as much. The ramen was still good though.
Ak — Google review
Really good ramen. I liked the soup, the toppings, the thick noodles. The first time I’ve had short, thick noodles. I was surprised how much I enjoyed it. Worth waiting in line!
Youjian C — Google review
This was my first time having Iekei ramen and it was so delicious. My new favorite style of ramen.
Randy B — Google review
We waited 1 hour in line to get in. Once you're inside you feel rushed to eat and finish quickly because other people are waiting. The ramen is too salty.
Tad M — Google review
Nice ramen in yokohama. Broth is flavorful, definitely a must try.
HAICHEN W — Google review
The best tonkatsu Ramen I've ever had. I highly recommend this place. The ramen master is always on site or they're not open. No frills, you come in and order from a machine and give your ticket to the man at the bar. You basically have one choice of ramen, your options just consist of how much dried seaweed, hard-boiled eggs, etc that you want. And don't plan to sit and relax after you eat as other hungry ramen eaters will be anxiously awaiting your seat. But that's the custom so don't complain.
Evan — Google review
The service is normal, nothing special. The ramen is too oily and extremely salty. If you want something in addition to ramen, your choices are very limited(rice and ramen toppings only). I have been to better places. Disappointing. I do not recommend this place.

The Yokohama Bay Hotel Tokyu is a luxurious hotel located in the Queens area of Minato Mirai. It stands out as the only hotel in the area offering rooms with balconies, providing guests with stunning views. The hotel boasts elegant rooms and suites, some featuring balconies, and offers top-notch amenities including four restaurants, a spa, and a gym.
Stayed here for a couple days on our 3 week Japan vacation. What I really enjoyed about this place is the accessibility. Came in on the train directly from the airport. The hotel is connected to a mall which has a station in it, super painless experience. Quick and friendly check in and clean rooms with a great view of the Ferris wheel. Did not try any food here as there are many options in walking distance. Would not hesitate to say here again as it was extremely easy to get here from the airport after a long flight and the experience was all positive.
Josh H — Google review
Very nice, beautiful hotel. The staff was very friendly and they held our bags after checkout for the day while we explored the city. The hotel does not have an open roof top or top floor restaurants available to regular guests. Not sure if this is normal for Japan? There was a very small gym with little to no equipment but had a nice looking pool. We liked the hotel very much but will likely try another hotel our next stay to find the perfect one for us. Added photos of the 1st floor artwork and the view from our room.
Adam C — Google review
Amazing views over Yokohama bay we were on the 23rd floor. Rooms were lovely with balcony and window view bath and separate shower cubicle. All grooming products/equipment supplied. Plenty of restaurants to chose from Tosca buffet was good.
Ricardo G — Google review
As soon as you walk in you are greeted by friendly greeters guiding you to the reservation desk. The rooms were extremely clean and beds were comfortable. Unfortunately the air conditioning was not as strong as it could have been but the in room dehumidifier helped a lot in the 40 degree humid heat. On our way out the staff even helped us get a taxi to our next destination. Overall we would stay here again.
Hendley M — Google review
This is honestly one of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed at. Don’t trust the rating—it’s a disaster. They try to present it as a luxury hotel, but in reality the rooms are old, ugly, and badly maintained. The service is just as bad: the staff is clueless, usually five of them huddled behind the counter trying to figure out what you’re saying, only to send you away after 20 minutes with no help. Breakfast is another nightmare. They hand you tickets in the morning, then make you wait half an hour for what turned out to be the worst breakfast I’ve ever had in a hotel. Avoid at all costs.
Matthieu D — Google review
We stayed here last October. The location is convenient to shops, attractions, parks by foot. Our room was huge and the view toward the bay was beautiful. We will stay here again.
Norman B — Google review
We stayed for 3 nights prior to our cruise. Hotel is a short drive from Haneda Airport. We used private transportation, Tokyo Airporter, to get us here. It is attached to the Queens mall which is a huge perk. There is so much food and shopping inside which is very convenient. We used the pool two days. There is a fee to use the pool but the pool facilities are very nice. You also get a free ice cream each day at the pool. We had breakfast buffet included on a couple mornings. Buffet was ok, there wasn't much choice and the choices for "western" food were even more limited. We stayed in a luxury triple park view room. There were 3 individual beds which were perfect for our needs. Room and bathroom are huge. Balcony is a nice bonus, we had a view of the ferris wheel. Room included alot of toiletries as well, toothbrush, razor, hairbrush, etc. All staff is very nice as well. Easy access to everything if you have accessibility issues. Cruise port is 2km/1mile away from hotel. Highly recommend if you're in the area taking a cruise.

The hotels got good service. Its a good location because its not as busy as tokyo. They do takyubin as well, they can write the form for you. They have english speakers and other languages available- they seem to get a lot of international visitors. Good service all around. And you can just walk to the mall without going outside. It all links together.

Hotel New Grand is a luxurious 1920s establishment located in the vibrant Chinatown district of Yokohama. The hotel offers elegantly designed rooms and suites, along with a spa, four restaurants, and two bars for guests to enjoy. Situated near Yamashita Park overlooking Tokyo Bay, it provides high-end accommodation options for travelers seeking luxury experiences. One of its highlights is the signature dessert, pudding a la mode, which combines European-inspired sweets with Japanese culinary artistry.
We stayed here for 3 nights on a family vacation. All we can say that the staff were so wonderful and attentive from the entrance to the front desk to the restaurants. The room is very clean with a beautiful bay view of the pier. You also don’t want to miss tea time at the restaurant on the first floor. The hotel is within 5 minutes walk to the train station. Highly recommended!

I've been here in March of 2023, and now again in juli of 2025. This is such a great hotel! The view is amazing and the surrounding scenery is beautiful. But most importantly: the people here are kind and courteous and amazing in their profession. For example, we wanted to see the Tokyo flood protection project, the Ryukyukan, but making reservations proved a challenge. However, the concierge swiftly and with great ease made reservations for us and so helped us secure a spot on the tour. These are the kinds of services that are becoming rare in the hotel industry, but New Grand still has these amazing people who just get things done and help make your stay in Japan a very memorable one. Simply said, this is an amazing hotel. Easy 5/5 stars, definitely recommend staying here!

During our 10-day trip to Japan, we had the chance to stay at the New Grand Hotel in Yokohama. It was a wonderful experience — a place where we enjoyed delicious food at its restaurants and were warmly welcomed by kind and attentive staff. This elegant and stylish hotel, rich in history, helped us create unforgettable memories. Every detail was graceful, and the view was simply breathtaking. If I could rate it 7 stars, I definitely would!

Went with my daughter for a little getaway. Overall, it was a good for our needs. It did start off wrong though and that feeling has stayed. One of the first thing the staff says is passport please. But i live in Japan and have for many years. My daughter is Japanese. So I really don’t appreciate the stereotypes and assumption, but it’s common. I wish the staff could have went about the situation more politely, don’t just assume. The hotel room itself was spacious, seemed a little dated but was nice. Our room view was kinda nothing special but that was expected.
Uniture — Google review
A luxurious hotel located very close to Chinatown. The hotel has an antique design but with modern amenities. The hotel staff is very helpful and goes above and beyond for the hotel visitor. The room is very spacious and clean with all the facilities required for a perfect stay. There is also a private parking lot adjacent to the hotel for 1500 yen. In conclusion, the hotel is highly recommended.
Maayan S — Google review
The location of this hotel is excellent. There is a very nice walking area along the water. The hotel itself is looking a little tired, but that should come as not surprise considering its age. The room coffee maker is decent. The coffee is better than average. Our view was excellent and Chinatown is literally around the corner. Overall, the staff were decent, but not spectacular, as some of our other Japanese hotels have been. The TV is tiny compared to modern hotels, but how much time would you spend watching TV in your room? Breakfast is not included.
Warren H — Google review
The hotel takes up its own block but the entrance facing away from the sea is boarded. The closed entrance has a beautiful grand staircase that is disused as there isn't a reason for anyone to use it. The working entrance faces a large public park that spans to the end of the boulevard and is quite pretty. The hotel is clean and well kept but old with a musty moldy smell throughout the building. They use mechanical keys which is outdated but also quaint. They advertise bedrooms with 3 beds. The beds are a nice standard size but they will provide a maximum of 2 keys which is annoying when they advertised that the room is for 3 people. However, they did provide 3 of everything in the room and gave away some free amenities like hair brushes, tooth brushes and disposable fuzzy slippers. The staff are very polite but the concierge is a little curt. Not enough to be outright rude but there were a few occasions when they spoke to each other in Japanese saying comments that they wouldn't have said if they knew we could understand them.
Grace W — Google review
An absolutely amazing hotel. Even though it is an old hotel, the rooms are still immaculate and the service is 2nd to none! The location is also really good! Just 3 mins to Chinatown and about 15 mins to red brick warehouse. I’ll definitely choose this hotel again when I’m back at Yokohama!!

Located near Yoshinocho Station in Yokohama, 鶏喰~TRICK~ is a renowned ramen spot known for its unique focus on chicken toppings. While most ramen places use pork for both the broth and meat, this establishment has mastered the art of making chicken just as delectable. Despite its small size, it draws long queues, so arriving before closing time is advisable.
A worth while trek to the outer part of Yokohama. Flavorful soup with a hint of niboshi and the perfect wanton. Order also the rice bowl and add the chilli sauce... amazing!

A tiny gem in the district. It closes at 9pm and still a long queue around 8pm. So lucky to stay in the line before their closed. The chicken is fresh and flavorful chicken. The broth is thick and delicious which combines soy sauce and skipjack tuna.

As expected of chicken based ramen, the flavor wasn't that strong(flavorful) but also wasn't bad. For a variety of ramen, regarding their kind I consider it's unique making it a famous shop. Average price per person ~1,500円 Customer service still needs to improve a lot. A must have will be the チャーシュー丼 highly recommend it.

One of the best ramen places in Yokohama. If you do not like pork this is the place for you. No English menu but use google just ask for the most oishii dish on the menu. Also make sure you get the chicken and rice - it’s phenomenal!
Damon B — Google review
Broth has a light taste (shoyu) which means you get to enjoy the taste of the meat more. I ordered the special shoyu bowl with pork, beef, chicken and egg along with the noodle. The beef is the winner here. Will come back to try salt (shio) flavor soup. Better check the time this ramen shop is open and then come early as line can be long most of the time. Location is easy to find as it is very near the Yoshinocho subway station (1 minute walk from exit 3) and in the corner of a road intersection. For those who does not speak or read Japanese, it can get difficult to order as there is no english menu. The guy who takes order speaks little english though.

Komurasaki is a well-established ramen shop located in Kumamoto, which has been serving its signature dish since 1954. It is one of the original ramen shops at the Shin-Yokohama Ramen Museum and is known for its elaborate soup. The restaurant offers Kumamoto-style ramen with thin noodles, tonkotsu (pork) broth, and a sprinkle of fried garlic flakes on top.
I personally like this Kumamoto style ramen. Thin noodle with tonkotsu (pork) broth and a bit of fried garlic flake on top. There is a payment machine in front of ramen store. Customers buy ramen ticket before entering the shop to eat ramen.

Average ramen that's not worth the queue. The cha shu was very different then I was used to, my friend said that's actually the traditional way of cha shu? Whatever it was, I wasn't a fan of it. Definitely not worth queuing an hour for. If you're coming to the ramen museum, COME EARLY AND BEAT THE QUEUE
David D — Google review
The ramen was garlick-y and not too heavy. I'm not sure, I was not blown away by the tastes, but it's still good. The gyoza also tastes good, so it's nice to order along with the ramen. The good thing though is that it is relatively spacious compared to the other shops.

I tried a small bowl for 650yen. The broth should be thicker and it does not taste any special to make it to be displayed at this ramen museum. Some other stores here had a long line, but there was no line here.

HechiKan is a casual noodle house that offers an ever-changing menu of creative ramen and other traditional dishes. One of their standout offerings is the Niboshi Soba, featuring thin flavorful noodles topped with thinly sliced medium-rare steak strips known as chasu, all served in a broth made from niboshi, a type of sardine. Customers praise the delicious broth and soba noodles, along with the tender meat and quail eggs that complement the soup.
Mind blowing ramen. Challenged ramen as an art form in a way I never thought possible. The best one that I had was a seasonal item, and it was a cold oyster noodle. The sauce was a thick blended oyster cream like concoction that had none of the unpleasant oyster sliminess, just pure fresh taste of the sea and the sweetness of oysters. The sauce was pulverized (and maybe strained many times) to achieve a fine foamy texture. The coldness of the sauce made the noodles extra chewy without being overly firm and it was such an addicting sensation after standing in line 30 minutes. The other items were quite good and standout by themselves as well. They have an interesting system where you can add additional sauce at the end to try different flavors, and I don’t think you can go wrong with any of them.

I was really happy with this ramen. The people they don’t line up in front of the restaurant but behind the corner, in a parking lot. The shop inside is nice, few stylish details like the lamps. The ramen is really good! The broth has an intense but not strong flavour. The fish taste doesn’t really come out immediately, I doubted for one second that it was a niboshi based broth. The flavour is really good, not too salty, not weak but smooth. The noodles are thin but really hard. Good but not amazing. I was really happy with the quail eggs and the chashu, that it’s tender and juicy. Almost like an italian cooked ham.

Creative, unique ramen. I went for dinner ~8PM on a Monday. Had no trouble getting a seat. Loved the interior design and ceramics selection. Really displayed the chefs' attention to detail and creative vision. At the menu's suggestion, I ordered the three appetizer set and ramen. Each appetizer was great. The standout was the bacon, which had that delectable woody, smoky flavor. The ramen itself was great too. When I was there, the recipe was a sardine-seafood broth. It had a rich, fishy taste of the ocean. It was a smart choice on the chef's part to serve it as broth and noodles alone, with only a little raw onion as garnish. It really put the stock's flavor and noodle's texture front and center. Ordering sake is required here, as well it should be. I ended up ordering two. The house's sake was crisp and refreshing. I also got the Zanso Hoari "Black" sake. It is cloudy and opaque. A kind of sake you do not find back home in America. Delicious, worth trying. Overall, very good. I would like to go back to see what the chefs invent next!

Very cozy place to have a bowl of seafood stock Ramen. If there's many people you might hv to queue at the parking lot nearby cos the place is quite small and only has 10 seats. Seems like the menu changes periodically, cos I can't seem to find the dishes stated by the other reviews here. I tried the lobster stock and oyster stock Ramen, and I can say they simmered that stock for VERY long cos it's was extremely flavourful. If you're a seafood AND a Ramen fan, this place is an absolute must-go.

Ramen restaurant
Ryūseiken is a ramen restaurant located approximately 10 minutes away from Tsurukawa station by car. It may be a bit difficult to spot from the main street, but it can be found just after turning left at the intersection of Tsurukawa 1-chome. The parking lot in front of the store has enough space for around 7 or 8 cars.
Legit. Stopped here for lunch and had the soy sauce based special. Delicious. This is a nice family owned joint. Counter seating. Push button menu with pictures. Broth is delicious. Can’t wait to come back. Great value.

(Translated by Google) It was really delicious ✨️ I was satisfied with the atmosphere of the shop, the owner's hospitality, and of course the ramen 😆 If you like wonton, you should definitely try this ~ This is so good! It's also incredibly delicious as a simple soy sauce ramen ✨You can tell that the soup, noodles, and char siu are all carefully made. They also provide warm service for customers with small children. The interior of the shop is filled with a gentle atmosphere. It's a ramen shop that is particular about its ingredients, but it also feels like a shop with a kind heart 😀 Next time, I'd like to go for the salt version!

(Translated by Google) This is the place to go for wontons in Machida! Enjoy oversized char siu and a family-friendly restaurant with ample parking. ◻︎ Overview Easy access thanks to its location one block behind the main street. The parking is a plus. Child-friendly owner and service. Even women can easily finish their wontons in one go, but they're still filling. Soft and tender wontons. Extremely satisfying char siu. Traditional soy sauce and a generous amount of salt. ◻︎ Menu Soy sauce and salt only. The soy sauce wonton is the most popular. Choose your noodle firmness, flavor, and amount of oil. You can choose between thick and thin noodles (is this a secret menu item?). If you're not sure, we recommend the wontons, seasoned egg, and char siu topping. Order rice and enjoy the ramen soup chazuke with persimmon seed furikake (rice seasoning) and rice. ◻︎ Seating Counter only There are only about 10 people, but the turnover rate is low, so you won't have to wait too long. You wait inside the restaurant. ◻︎Service Meal ticket system You're asked about your preferences when you hand over your ticket. The staff are gentle and kind. You can enjoy your meal without feeling pressured to eat quickly. Perhaps this is why customers are treated so well, and the atmosphere is pleasant. You can serve yourself cold water. Garlic, ginger, pepper, chili pepper, etc. are available on the table. ◻︎Parking There's a parking lot in front of the restaurant with about 7 spaces. If you enter from the front, it's difficult to park from the back, so it might be best to enter from the back. (It's quite a steep slope, so be careful when parking. It's quite difficult.) ◻︎Summary I went on a Sunday lunchtime, and there was a line inside the restaurant, and it was long enough to wait for parking. But the deliciousness and great atmosphere made it understandable. Sometimes I'm a little skeptical about ramen places that cost over 1,000 yen, but this place is very satisfying. No wonder it's so popular. I heard they offer free extra portions in the evening, so I'll try it next time.

The thick, chewy noodles go perfectly with the richly flavored soup. The thick, crunchy Chinese sausage and two thinly sliced, yet super large pieces of pork fillet are also included. They even come with wontons and a seasoned egg, and the price is unbelievable. The value for money is amazing. Whenever I go to this ramen shop, I always feel energized. If you're coming with more than two people, it's best to avoid busy times and come earlier or later. The owner was efficient and polite, which left a good impression. I tried the soy sauce special. InterContinental Yokohama Pier 8, an IHG Hotel is a luxurious harborfront hotel in Yokohama, offering refined rooms and suites. Opened in 2019, the hotel provides a serene and upscale retreat near the bustling harbor. Guests can enjoy stunning bay views from their rooms, which are equipped with separate seating areas, minibars, and flat-screen TVs. The hotel also features restaurants, bars, private parking, and a garden.

Beautiful and still fairly new hotel. The toto toilet is nice and Simmons semi firm bed is comfortable. Rooms are spacious and stunning. Sliding doors open for fresh air, though sometimes an industrial seabreeze comes in. We were given a room with view but there are cruise ships, carrier and trucks outside. The rooms and hallways smell of industrial exhaust in the morning, which is a pity. Breakfast is a disappointment with small portions. Instead of this a la carte set menu order, they should really have an extensive buffet people are accustomed to. I prefer to choose what is on my plate, instead of having a set menu of things I am not quite fond of and yet felt obligated to eat and only one piece of vegetable I would like to eat more of. They have a salad, yogurt, fruit, pastries buffet set out but it wasn’t up to par with what I was expecting for a 5 star hotel. Please spend some money on quality fruit. What is this canned stuff, and no berries to offer? Everything is yellow and orange and bland. The pastry section was sad as well. I chose the Japanese set menu and would not order it again. The quality of the spread seemed poor and tamago egg was too sweet. I wanted tea however when I picked up the teapot- it was cheap acrylic. Hot tea in plastic will expose you to bisphenol A. Club lounge however is fantastic with tuna sashimi, smoked duck, the tender beef everyone was talking about. Another night had the hot set menu of scallop, slice of lamb with clam chowder and risotto. Divine. Decent offerings and extensive drink section. Edit: I got food poisoning and threw up everything I ate in the evening lounge! Be careful! I think it was the unrefrigerated tuna sashimi. Would be fantastic if they can install a purified water refill in the hotel for guests, instead of canned water. Taxi from Yokohama is 1800. Staff here are pleasant and friendly!

Phenomenal Service and Hotel overall. I travel quite a bit, and I don’t bother to write reviews. But this time I felt I had to. I’m a IHG diamond member and I booked a Deluxe King. Hotel personnel took our luggage at the door, guided us to the reception. We got upgraded to VIP suite. Luggage were sent strait to the room. Room is immaculate, bathroom is tech Asa y, shower has a glass wall open into room. I have been in Conrads, JW Marriots and still super impressed. For the Value you getting, especially if you have status, spend a few days here to get the Jet lag off before you hit the city.

I stayed at the Intercontinental Pier 3/12 - 3/18. The hotel is phenomenal. When we arrived the staff was so very helpful, considering the language barrier. Our room was outstanding! Everyday as we returned it was so neatly put back together. Don't know who cleaned our room this particular day, but even the toiletries were placed in descending order and our slippers were waiting for us. I must say a special review of the staff outside. One staff member stood out in particular. Matsumosho. She was so awesome! Very helpful and accommodating. I really liked her professional demeanor. I was there to watch my son play for the Yokohoma Excellence and having a comfortable room to return to in the evening was EVERYYTHING! And the location was OUTSTANDING. When I return to Japan, I will DEFINITELY stay at your fine hotel.

Stayed in the King Classic Minatomirai View room. I was extremely pleased with how spacious the room was, the great view and modern furniture. Obviously a lot of attention to detail was put in when designing it. The room also came with a minibar with free soft drinks which were refilled daily which was really nice. The room also had an integrated AC which was much quieter than a traditional AC while it was still able to cool the whole room without it getting too windy. Amenities wise, the hotel was a bit lacking, there is no swimming pool or onsen and the gym only had equipment like treadmills to work out your legs (which I really didn't need after a full day of sight seeing), would be nice if they at least had free weights. The food was ok, the buffet was a bit small and didn't change over the course of the stay (7 days), there was a menu to choose from but you could only get one thing and the portion was small. Would be nice if they split the menu so that you could at least pick one main and sides separately. The staff were very good. We had a small issue with booking a massage, however this got sorted and the staff were very apologetic through the process. Overall, I would say that the hotel is great for someone who wants a really nice room with a decent breakfast but doesn't mind the lack of amenities like a pool or onsen. Personally the lack of amenities wasn't an issue as I was out most of the day so for me the most important thing is a good room.

The woman with the ponytail moving around (I think she's the only one with a ponytail right now) has a very bad feeling. It may be harsh to say this, but when white rice was sold out and only udon noodles were sold, there was no sign that it was sold out, so is rice sold out today? When I asked, what? yes. When I came here for the first time in a while, I was disappointed to find that the inside of the restaurant had changed. Previously, the staff would guide you and then take your order, but now you buy a meal ticket and then take it to the counter where the staff is. As I watched the situation, I noticed that some of the elderly people were having a hard time buying food tickets, and I felt sorry for the old man who was unable to walk and had to go to the counter to get his food ticket. I was able to bring my own food, but I had to prepare it myself. The staff may be paying less attention to the elderly, but I've been to restaurants in other hospitals, but this is the first time I've seen something like this. Menba Hamatora is a well-regarded ramen shop located near Yokohama Station, with additional branches in Hiyoshi and Higashi-Totsuka. The restaurant offers self-service water and serves soy sauce-based ramen with curly noodles and tender chicken char siu. Their rich salt soba is highly recommended, offering a unique flavor compared to other salt ramen options.
I don't know how this place can get 3.8 stars. It's one of the most delicious ramen I have ever eaten in Japan. So so good. The beef is so so good. I had to visit 2 days in a roll for this.

This isn’t your typical ramen—it uses chicken instead of pork, offering a unique twist. The creamy, tonkotsu-style soup base paired with chicken chashu is a standout feature here. The curly noodles, cooked to a slightly firm texture, are the perfect complement to the broth. The soup itself is lighter than the usual pork-based versions, and while I’m not usually a big fan of chicken, it was an interesting and enjoyable experience overall. We came here after a late-night drinking session, and it was the perfect spot to wrap up the evening with a comforting bowl of hot noodle soup!

Randomly stumbled upon this place and it had a queue, so I had to try it. Luckily, their machine had an English option, so I got the Jyan Soba! Also, this is the first time I've seen panchetta on a menu in Japan, so I definitely had to try that. The Jyan Soba broth seems to be garlic based! The strong garlic broth plus the soba noodles create for a unique and delicious experience. If you love garlic then this is a definite must try. I wasn't expecting much from the panchetta, but it worked really well with the bowl. It came kinda medium rare, and then you'll continue to cook it with the broth, kinda like shabu shabu. Serving size, it was quite large. Most of the service is done by yourself. You'll purchase the bowl from the ticket machine outside and hand the ticket to the Master once you enter. Tea and condiments is all self-service. Perfect if you're introverted or if you're not looking for interaction. The vibes was definitely more hip, so I think this place has a very modern or new take to your typical soba noodles A lot of the customers there are also eating on their own, so a great spot if you need a quick bite. A definite must try if you're near Yokohama station. I don't think I've ever tried anything similar during my visit.

Definitely a different take in the usual ramen. The soup is very kotteri, the noodles wonderfully thick, curly and chewy. Wasn’t a big fan of the chicken chashu but overall worth trying. Might be better for lunch as I had it late night and it took until midday the next day to digest. 🤣🤣. Came back and had the miso with egg for lunch and it was awesome. Glad it was lunch this time.

Restaurant
Ramen Jirō Yokohama-kannai is a popular spot in Yokohama, known for its generous portions of Jiro-style ramen featuring thick noodles, flavorful broth, and abundant toppings like pork belly and garlic. The shop has gained a reputation for its affordable prices and great service. Despite its small size and long queues, the staff are considerate and accommodating.
The noodles are more flavorful than those at other Jiros. They are not overly salty and, while seemingly simple, carry a rich depth of taste. Mixing in the egg yolk adds a pleasant nuttiness to the noodles. However, unless one has a particularly hearty appetite, I would recommend ordering the smaller size

This is the native English review you're looking for! Picture of the line was in the middle of an active Tornado Warning from the Japanese Meteorological Agency. I figure it HAD to be good. Usually when a restaurant has a line this long, it has a "secret sauce" that makes it truly exceptional. While the noodles were fresh, broth was flavorful and the pork was tender, I regret to report that there was nothing mind-blowing about the flavors or textures of this meal. The secret sauce of this place is the MASSIVE serving size. Extremely good value, but the ramen won't change your life. The process is different than what many foreigners may be used to. Here's a little guide: As you approach the front of the line, people will start leaving the line and returning to it. They are pre-paying for their order. Once it is your turn, proceed to the inside of the restaurant and immediately to the left is a machine where you will insert your cash first. This machine only takes coins and bills up to 1000 yen. If you have larger bills, give the staff a 'sumimasen' and they'll break it for you. Once your money is loaded, you will press buttons for the options you want. If the button is red, it means that option isn't currently available. The top line is a "small" ramen with 2, 5 or 8 pieces of pork. This is closer to what I would call a large serving. The second line is a large ramen. I am a large American. I scoff at anything the Japanese call large. I ordered the large. This was a mistake. This was a borderline competitive eater portion of food. This WILL put you in a food coma. You have been warned. Everything below this are options for your ramen. Gray is green onion, white is a softboiled ramen egg, green is gochujang pickled garlic chives, pink is grated cheese, brown is sub broth for sauce. You will collect your various chips and get back to your place in line. They do not serve you water. Get your own cup of water by the front of the door and bring it to your seat when you are seated. Give the kitchen your chips which will tell them what you ordered. White pepper, vinegar and hot pepper flakes are provided. When you are done, place your bowl and any used utensils on the top shelf and give your table a quick wipe down.

Arrived at 1150 and waited about 20m to be seated. Ordered the big pig from the the token machine. Ramen was huge. I couldn't finished the soup. Noodles were very thick (not my personal favorite) and will put you to sleep. Pork was delicious and tender. Not much else for the plain ramen unless you add extras.

Yokohama Kannai Ramen Jiro Small Ramen 890 yen without soup 100 yen with green onion 120 yenI heard that 70% of the customers at the Kannai branch order the soup-less version. The yasai is a lot of cabbage, which makes me happy. The green onion tastes like the one on the beef tongue with onion salt.I wondered what it was because everyone was ordering that, but it seems to be a limited edition tartar sauce!I want to eat such a thing so bad...so frustrating.

Want a lot of delicious ramen for cheap? This is your place! The regular size ramen is huge. Be prepared to wait 1 hour at dinner time.

Jiro ramen Yokohama kannai branch. Famous for its soupless ramen(shirunashi). The soup is thicc with sweetness from soy sauce. The charsiu is well seasoned and very tender that it felt like it was melting in your mouth. On my next visit definitely gonna add more charsiu toppings. Also love the crew's t-shirt saying life without love is like jiro without garlic 🧄.

This branch tries to live up to the Jiro Ramen pedigree, and it comes very close, but there are still areas in which it falls short. They serve the meat thinner and provide less toppings, but they also do have ajitsuke tamago (ramen eggs), which the original shop does not have. All in all, still a pretty good meal! Be prepared for long lines and a stuffy room as they don't have much space.

Longest I have ever waited for a jiro.. But I guess people here are waiting hours for a reason: Its freakishingly good... The tare is very good and a bit sugary, it goes really well with pork fat. The soupless ramen is surprisingly reaaaly good, and thats because the tare is reaally good. However the quantity here is a bit small for a jiro

Ramen restaurant
Ramen Kan-ni-ya is a popular Yokohama Iekei Ramen restaurant located in Konan Ward. It is affiliated with Yoshimuraya, the originator of Yokohama family ramen. Despite its popularity, it's possible to get in within 5 minutes with good timing. The restaurant offers rich and flavorful soup with depth and mellowness, setting it apart from other ramen styles.
One of the better ramen shops I’ve had. There is usually a line so be prepared for that. I like to order my soup with less oil and this seems to be perfect. It is a thick tasting soup. Highly recommend this shop for those who like pork bone soup!

This is a ramen that follows the tradition of Yoshimuraya. The roast pork, which seems to have been cooked at low temperature, is delicious. It was a bit salty. Well, that's typical of ramen.

(Translated by Google) Location It's located along "Kan 2 Ramen Highway," a famous ramen spot in Yokohama. By the way, I call it "Ramen Road." #Impossible Overview This is a well-known, incredibly popular Iekei ramen spot. Some people even prefer Kan 2ya to Yoshimuraya. #SourceUnknown While there's a bit of a line, the wait time is much shorter than at Yoshimuraya. In fact, the line at Yoshimuraya is insane. lol Status I arrived at 4:40 PM on Sunday and was 10th in line. I think it was about 5 minutes, and I was seated without much of a wait. By the way, when I passed by the restaurant that same day during the day, there were about 30 people in line, so I realized once again that the time of day is important. Order Ramen Noodles: Firm 900 yen Green onion and char siu Separate plate: 300 yen Rice: 150 yen Total: 1,350 yen The bowl arrives A visual that gets your blood pumping. #V's pronunciation matters #Instinctsaredelighted Come to think of it, this was my first time, and when I handed over my ticket, I was told, "Please wait a moment while we adjust the soup." I thought, "Oh, I guess that happens..." but it ended up taking about 20 minutes for the food to arrive. Well, that can't be helped. They're here to serve delicious food, after all. One sip of soup. Delicious! As punchy as ever! It hits you hard! It hits you right in the stomach! It might be a little too salty for some women, but I'm sure the staff will dilute it if you ask! *The staff did say to let them know if it's too strong. This is just right for me. Actually, most people probably line up because they think this is the right flavor. The noodles, too. They're great. Even though I asked for them firm, they weren't hard at all. Lol I'm not being sarcastic. And the green onion and char siu... You can have them served on a separate plate if you ask. The photo makes it look like there's not much char siu, but there's actually quite a bit underneath. A pleasant surprise. By serving the green onions on a separate plate, they stay crisp at all times. The raw version was a little too strong for my liking, though, so I ended up submerging it in the soup. Lol The char siu also has a smoky flavor that's delicious! It goes down well with rice. I added some garlic and ginger from the table to change up the flavor towards the end. It was delicious all the way to the end, and I never got bored of it. Overall Review It's as good as ever. I think it was even better when I had it in the past, but it's still delicious. It's a popular restaurant with couples, married couples, and families, loved by people of all ages and genders. I'll definitely go again if the line is shorter. Thank you for the meal! Thank you very much to everyone who read until the end. I look forward to seeing you again. The system was to buy a ticket from the ticket machine inside the restaurant first, then line up. I was able to get in and sit down in 15 minutes. I ordered firm noodles. My meal arrived in 5 minutes. The soup had a strong, dashi- and soy-sauce flavor, and the chicken oil added a nice kick. Even though I ordered the noodles firm, they had a normal texture and seemed a little short. I had an image of smoked pork being dry, but they weren't at all. They were soft and had a nice smoked flavor that was delicious. The mabushi donburi bowl wasn't bad, but I think I would have been fine with regular rice. (^^;) Since it was my first time, I tried the regular ramen, but I felt like it would have been better with more spinach and seaweed. By the time I left at 11:40 AM, there were about 15 people in line. The vending machines outside sell Coca-Cola and Dr. Pepper, a must-have for cola lovers. (Translated by Google) I returned to this restaurant for the first time in about 12 years. When I arrived around 8 PM on a Saturday, there was already a line of about 10 people outside. It's clear that it's still incredibly popular. After purchasing a meal ticket, you sit in one of the U-shaped waiting chairs inside. This waiting style felt somehow nostalgic, reminiscent of Yoshimuraya before it moved. The turnover was very fast, and even though I was in line, I don't think I actually waited more than 10 minutes. The staff were efficient, and the entire restaurant seemed to be running smoothly. Perhaps because many customers were seasoned patrons, everyone was seated with efficient movements. Small plates to place under ramen bowls were set out on the table. Regulars naturally placed them on the counter, but since it had been 12 years since I last visited, I had forgotten the proper procedure, so the staff kindly showed me how to place them on the counter. This system is also old-fashioned, and while a little awkward, it also made me feel warm inside. What struck me was that the people making the ramen in the kitchen weren't the "artisan-like older man with his arms crossed" seen on the poster, but rather two very cute female staff members in their 20s! I was mesmerized by their careful and deft movements. It's amazing to see how these young people are so committed to preserving the Iekei ramen flavor. The ramen itself had a mellow and easy-to-drink soup, a much gentler flavor than it looked. It was rich, yet not heavy on the aftertaste, and I found myself drinking it all without realizing it. To be honest, I can't really tell the subtle differences in flavor from other Iekei ramen, but I do feel a sense of security and high level of perfection that makes me think, "Ah, this is Iekei ramen for you." It was my first visit in 12 years, and it was a wonderful time, filled with nostalgia and new discoveries at the same time. I think this is a restaurant that will satisfy both long-time customers and first-timers. I'd like to visit during lunchtime next time.

The Hyatt Regency Yokohama is a stylish 5-star hotel located near Nihon-Odori Station, offering polished rooms and suites. Its proximity to iconic landmarks such as Chinatown, Yokohama Marine Tower, and the Red Brick Warehouse makes it an ideal base for exploring the area. The hotel exudes elegance with its chandelier-adorned bar and chapel adorned with Swarovski crystals.
I booked a 2 Twin Beds room with Club Access for my family of 4, including 2 kids. This hotel is great in the sense that such room can accommodate 2 kids for free, while most other higher-end hotels in Tokyo metro from global chains don't. Lounge access is also extended to my kids for free, which again, not every hotel do. These two alone, I'm already very grateful. The room was very big, not just by Tokyo standard but really. The bathroom in particular was really big, and stocked with high-end amenities. The upkeep of the room was great, it was sparkling shiny! Kids loved them very much! Service from the staff was very proactive and polished. The food selection in the lounge was great, both in the evening cocktail hour (kids under 12 not allowed) and the breakfast (kids included). I particularly liked the selection of tea, with real serious tea leaves and not tea bags. The jasmine tea was outstanding, you don't get that from most other hotels! All in all it was a perfect stay for us. I can't wait to visit it again!

Hyatt Regency Yokohama never disappoints. The rooms are absolutely pristine — clean, modern, and very comfortable. The staff are incredibly helpful and professional, always making us feel welcome and well taken care of. The location is fantastic, just steps away from Chinatown and the train station, which makes getting around Yokohama and even into Tokyo super convenient. One standout moment was ordering room service — I got a burger and it was sublime. Easily one of the best I’ve had at any hotel. This has become our go-to hotel whenever my family visits the Tokyo area. Consistently excellent service, great location, and top-notch comfort make it a clear favorite.

This was a great hotel. Super clean and well organized. I opted for the club access. It's worth every penny. Breakfast was from 8-10 and then cocktail hour from 5-7 PM. That was well worth the money. The room service was amazing. The cleaning was done wonderfully. It was prime location as well, super close to everything. Everyone was very helpful as well. Highly recommend this hotel.

Laundry Service costs $150 AUD to get a bag of clothes washed - I only found out to know this price once the clothes were washed. No staff informed me that this was the rate. Very poor communication and service on this.. No budging from the manager on get any discount for his owns staffs lack of communication. Not a great vibe around the hotel lobby, dark and quiet. In general the rooms are nice, and the room service girls are very good at their job!! One English guy at reception is very helpful.

Really enjoyed my stay here, I highly recommend it. Great location since it’s close to Chinatown and other popular spots. The staff is super friendly and attentive. Rooms are spacious and clean. Lots of items can be lent to customers like air purifiers, humidifier and hair iron when requested. We qualified to get access to the lounge, breakfast and late check out. Breakfast is much appreciated-it offers lots of options, both western and asian dishes.

This hotel is literally perfect in every way, shape and form. The bus from Haneda airport stops literally 2 blocks away from here. The train station is up the street, Chinatown is down the street, Lawson is right across the street and you are right by the water for beautiful views. Every single worker in this hotel was top tier, my first encounter was Kai who was so helpful and got me and my girls to go check out Chinatown that night, he gave us maps and told us of a few hot spots. I got the 3 full beds in the room and believe it or not it wasn't cramped. Please attend the bar and have tea time, the ambience they set at night is so relaxing. I have recommended so many to stay here when they visit. I appreciate each everyone who made our stay the best.

Salt Ramen Honmarutei Yokohama is a cozy, 12-seat restaurant that specializes in old-school shio ramen with handcrafted noodles. The salt ramen is known for its beautiful balance of flavors, drawing long queues of eager customers. In addition to the delicious ramen, the homemade gyoza and accommodating staff add to the overall dining experience.
Ordering is super convenient, you can just put cash into the machine and push the button. The ramen I ordered has a smell of yuzu and you can taste it from the broth. Highly recommend this place!

Got the salt soup ramen which was delicious. clear soup which goes down easy and with springy wide noodles. love the tasty tender pork. 1100 yen for my bowl. Vending machine only in Japanese but can use phone google translate if there is no one behind you. usually the top corner left is their most popular dish with most vending machine so can’t go wrong. fast service and even faster finishing the bowl hahahaha. I was in and out by 15mins. don’t linger since the place isn’t very big and all seatings get to see the open kitchen in action.

Tasty broth, noodles were springy and charsu had a smoky taste. The mini charsu and kimchi don was okay, clean tasting but not outstanding - for those who like the smokiness of the meat. I did feel slightly little queasy after the meal, something I usually feel only after a concentrated intake of sodium. Could just be one of those days. Order via coin machine, only Japanese language although staff spoke English and seemed prepared to help.

Ramen restaurant
Ramen Sugimoto is a charming ramen shop located in a quaint neighborhood, drawing in weekend crowds with its renowned soy-based broth. Ranked as the second best spot in Yokohama, this restaurant is a haven for ramen enthusiasts. Its top-notch noodles offer an impeccable combination of texture and flavor, while the expertly crafted fish-based soup appeals even to those who are typically hesitant about fish broths.
I was really excited to try this place from looking at the reviews and long lines in front of the place. The noodles were definitely flesh and tasty high-quality firmness by boiling. The soup base was actually pretty good. A lot of flavor and and not overwhelmingly fish flavor that you can’t taste other elements. Usually I don't like fish broth but they made it really well. To be fair, the weekend we went had a huge event going so the long wait times couldn't be helped. But I'll come back if I don't need to wait that much. Unfortunately, they are not something I can wait for hours.

🍜 特製らぁ麺 - 塩 / tokusei ramen - shio 🇯🇵 らぁ麺 すぎ本 / ramen sugimoto / aobadai, kanagawa 🗓️ 07/31/2024 (@wei.oframen on ig for my ramen adventure 😚) So if you are into ramen lore, you will probably hear about Sano-san, the "Ramen Devil" at some point. This shop is run by his last disciple so there is a certain amount of hype around it. Sugimoto relocated to this location a few years back and changed up their menu or something like that. I've never been to their previous location so I have no idea how this compares. The bowl came with a solid chicken base broth and the shio tare did its job well giving the bowl that lip-smacking flavor. However, even with the crazy amount of toppings, I felt like it didn't really stand out to me in this day and age. I was also caught off guard by the sheer amount of food in the tokusei variant. This bowl was massive so I did get a bit flavor-fatigued trying to finish it. Overall, it was decent but I don't think it was worth the effort.

Ramen texture is good, silky. Soup base is weak, everything else ok. Not a big line which is good for this level of ramen. The noodle “factory” is viewable which gives an extra point of interest.

Not bad. I don't personally see what the hype is. Pretty typical soup with typical noodles. The toppings were OK. I wasn't as blown away as I thought I would be. Not bad if you're in the area, but not worth coming in from central Tokyo imo.

Ramen Takano is a popular spot in Yokohama, known for its savory noodle soups and unpretentious atmosphere. It holds the #1 spot in the area and is a must-visit for ramen enthusiasts. The standout dish is their tsukemen noodles, which are highly praised for their captivating flavors. The chicken char siu, available in smoked grilled and simmered options, sets a high standard for tenderness.
First time trying Tsukumen! You cannot get that back in America, though it seems to be all the rage here in Japan. Try it! I ordered more than I needed to. I was worried that I would not get char siu in the base order. But the bowl of broth presented with my Tsukumen had bobbing chunks of warm fatty pork. Delicious. There was a line already there when I got in right when the store opened. But it did not take too long to be seated at the counter. And the vending machine makes ordering easy without holding up the line.

One of the most thought after ramen I’ve had in a long time. I think the price is higher than your normal ramen although it was definitely worth it. The line is quite long and I waited a good 30min. If you do not mind waiting in line, it’s worth the try. I would have perhaps gave it a full star if the soup was a bit warmer as it was quite cold.

It has a hidden atmosphere, but because it's so popular, there was a line in the hallway on the first floor, and it was a bit of a pain to wait in line after purchasing a meal ticket. Still, I was able to enter the restaurant in about 15 minutes. I ordered the special chicken ramen. It was delicious, as expected. Straight noodles in a clear soup. I'm not a big fan of chicken char siu, but this was fragrant and delicious, with no strange chicken smell. Thank you for the meal. Suzukiya is a popular ramen shop where locals eagerly wait for their turn to savor the delectable offerings. Unlike other places with heavy broths, Suzukiya's soup is lighter yet bursting with flavor. The shop offers great service, including free rice on weekdays and various toppings like extra seaweed and spinach. Customers can enhance their ramen experience by adding lots of garlic or dipping seaweed in the soup and enjoying it with bean sauce-topped rice.

Ramen restaurant
Ramen Akimoto is a renowned ramen restaurant located in the outskirts of Tokyo. The chef pays meticulous attention to detail, resulting in an exquisite blend of pork, chicken, yolk egg, and shrimp wang-tang harmonized with fish-based soup. On Wednesdays, they serve their unique Miso based ramen. Despite the long queues that can last up to 45 minutes, patrons find the experience well worth it.
Ordered the Tokusei miso ramen, a bit pricy at 1430¥ but very worth it as it came with a lot of toppings. The miso taste is not very overpowering which makes it quite unique from other miso ramen places. The pork slices and wontons were also really tasty. The place was also quite spacious for a ramen shop and the staff was really helpful with guiding people when there is a line. Ability to read and understand a bit of Japanese is recommended though as the ticket machine is fully in Japanese and I think the staff only speak Japanese as well.

The best ramen restaurant so far for me. The location is not commercial at all, out skirt of Tokyo. The chef cooks extremely detailed ramen as well as friendly staff serving. This ramen has pork, chicken, well-melted yolk egg, and shrimp wang-tang and they created well harmonies with fish based soup. Noticing orange NOREN is the day they serve Miso based ramen which is only Wednesday. You must queue for at least 30 min. My longest in the queue was 45 min. However, it is worth to be. The other days, they serve soy source based and salt based soup. But all good. The location is about 45 min from Shibuya. Try also roasted-pork on the rice. Never regret to visit.

Very nice hotel, typical of a Hilton. Very well maintained building, multiple food choices in the hotel to pick from, friendly staff that speaks English (a nice touch as I do not speak Japanese), paid parking on site. Room is spacious and nice. Room has a mini fridge but not microwave (that may not be a common thing in Japan, I am unsure). Very pleased!

We stayed here during our visit in July and enjoyed our stay. The rooms were large and the beds were very comfortable. It was more similar to North American style rooms in size. This was a nice change after staying in smaller Japanese style rooms in previous cities. The staff was really helpful and the service was really good. We were shipping luggage to Tokyo and they had the service at reception. They filled out the forms and took care of everything. They even have boxes there if you have items that you can't fit into your suitcases. I would say that the hotel isn't easy to get to from Yokohama station. It's possible but it's a bit of a walk and you have to cross the river. It's easier just to take a taxi to and from the train station.

Shiny new hotel, decent-sized rooms, and a passable gym. Easy to all from station….. if not raining. Executive upgrade? Total flop—not worth the cash.
Check-in was a mess; rookie staffer kept grabbing my wife’s bag like it was a game (10+ tries, will she give up?)
Breakfast on the 5th floor? Dismal. By 7:30, no good hot food—chicken gone, white bread vanished, just a sad powdered-egg omelette.
Feels like management’s asleep at the wheel; none even around to complain to. Thanks to the junior bellboy on the front desk for speaking decent English. Expect the Intercontinential a much better option.

Perfect Blend of Business and Pleasure The Yokohama Hilton is a fantastic hotel that truly caters to both business travelers and vacationers. For business, the location is unbeatable for anyone in the automotive industry, situated right next to the iconic Nissan Global Headquarters. The rooms are spacious, well-equipped with a comfortable work desk, and the Wi-Fi is fast and reliable. The executive lounge is a quiet haven for getting work done or having a meeting. For leisure, the hotel offers a wonderful escape. The rooms are pristine with stunning views, and the beds are incredibly comfortable. But the real highlight for any car enthusiast is the proximity to Nissan. Just a short stroll away, you can see a rotating display of legendary Nissan GTRs in the lobby and pick up some fantastic official merchandise from their shop. It’s a unique and exciting experience you won't get at any other hotel. A truly versatile and highly recommended stay.

Very modern and spacious rooms. Excellent breakfast buffet, although it can get busy. Arrived too late to try the lounge. Decent views. Upgrades are notoriously hard to come by in Japan, so even as Diamond member, I ended up in a standard room, although on a bit higher floor. It's not far from Yokohama station but requires some navigation skills. Take the East Exit towards Sogo/Minato Mirai. Head up escalators and cross the river towards Nissan. Once you walked through Nissan HQ, bear left and take the somewhat hidden elevator in front of Fuji down (sadly, it runs only until 20:00). Then follow the sign to K Arena onto the long sweeping ramp. Unfortunately, there is no hotel entrance on the terrace level, so take the elevator down and back up to the lobby. Voila!

The hotel is not the closest to metro stations but it is in a neighborhood safe enough to walk around at night. It was very relaxing sitting in the outdoor lounge area. Very nice hotel, everything clean and modern. However, just to clarify, they are not tattoo friendly. I did get in the gym but I suspect I wasn’t really allowed. To use the pool/onsen with tattoo, you could only have 1 or 2 if the they were smaller than palm size and therefore could be covered up with plaster. First impressions not great as the hotel lobby was chaotic at 11am. Everything seems toove quickly enough though. The bed was one of the comfiest of the holiday. Room was quiet, curtains dark enough to block out light, fast lift. I can't say if location is good or bad really. We seemed to have to walk ages to get anywhere or to get to subway stations to get us where we were going (per Google maps) however I wasn't able to pick an area I'd have preferred. We left the key card in the room and in all my years of travelling I never came across such an ordeal. They wouldn't issue a new one. A form had to be completed which all took ages, I'd to sign it and then we were escorted to our room by the receptionist and another person. Such a time consuming ordeal. I like for security reasons that they just don't hand out key cards but not once was I asked for any type of ID to prove it was me and my room so it wasn't a security thing. Absolute nonsense.

(Translated by Google) I went there expecting to be able to eat Haruyutaka's noodles. It was lunchtime, but maybe because it was a weekday, I was able to get a seat right away. I was torn between salt and soy sauce, and chose soy sauce this time. There are so many menu items, it's hard to decide. I could have just ordered half of the char siu and wonton. It was the first time I've finished the noodles and still had char siu and wonton left. For char siu lovers, the amount is irresistible. The taste was delicious, so I ate it all. The forbidden char siu rice was strongly seasoned, and even though I neutralized it with the soup, it was just the right amount. The only disappointment was that the ingredients and soup were too strong, and I couldn't taste the essential "Haruyutaka" flavor. Next time, I'd like to use less salt and toppings, and enjoy the rice and side dishes. The staff were very pleasant. The soup was surprisingly light. I could probably eat it every day and never get tired of it. The Haruyutaka medium-thick noodles weren't particularly distinctive. I couldn't stand the freshness of the char siu or the soggy wontons. I think it was better before. Thank you for the meal. (Translated by Google) I had high hopes for this restaurant, as it's listed as one of Japan's top 100 restaurants, but unfortunately, I felt uneasy from the very first step. The interior of the restaurant was cluttered, with small signs plastered haphazardly on the walls. It wasn't visually relaxing, and I wondered if it was hygienic either. On top of that, the kitchen didn't seem very clean either. Despite claiming to use no artificial additives, I was also concerned that a certain well-known commercial chemical seasoning had been placed in a conspicuous location in the kitchen. The ramen itself was a huge disappointment. First of all, the thin noodles didn't blend in with the soup at all, giving it a gritty texture. Furthermore, there were clumps of noodles mixed in, which was disconcerting. The toppings were all different, and I felt that the bowl lacked cohesion and flavor balance as a whole. The waiters, who seemed to be a married couple, also showed a lack of customer service in many areas, making it not a very comfortable restaurant at all. Overall, it seemed like there was a lack of consideration for basic aspects, and it was a very disappointing experience considering how much I had hoped for.

Hoshijirushi is a popular ramen shop in Yokohama, known for its special soy sauce ramen and Nagoya Cochin egg rice. The shop is adorned with a star outside and plays Eikichi Yazawa's music. Despite the limited space, the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. The flavorful and deep soup of the seafood and Nagoya Cochin ramen is well-balanced, complementing the thin noodles perfectly.
The very best ramen, from a true artisan. The chef so carefully crafted and prepared my ramen and it was a joy to watch him weave his magic in the kitchen. Top ramen - the best! The broth was sensational. I can understand why he has awards on his walls and loads of customers.

Loved the atmosphere and the ramen even more! Despite the small counter space and busy location, it did not take too long to get adjacent seats for three at the counter. Would both recommend and go again.

Exquisite ramen. I usually like tsukemen, but the ramen was worth it. They run limited time specials which end when they run out of stock, so check their twitter feed for updates. Feel very lucky to have such a great ramen place close to my house!

(Translated by Google) The correct way to use kelp water. Special kelp water soy sauce tsukemen, 1,750 yen. First, salt, then the thick, rich kelp water. The supple, thin noodles, presented like a twisted headband, are tempting, with a quick slurp like somen noodles. The noodles really shine when dipped in the broth; they're like a transparent jelly coating, holding the broth just right, creating a new, slippery texture. The special toppings are already in the broth. The wontons are incredibly dense and delicious. A mini curry, 500 yen, is a typical European-style dish with a hint of fruit and vegetables, but with an incredibly deep flavor. The spices are also excellent, surpassing those of specialty restaurants. Finally, the remaining kelp water and grated kelp are diluted with the broth, resulting in a thick, rich soup. Delicious. Wednesday, 11:29, no line. A small restaurant with eight seats at the counter. The clever placement of YAZAWA and Sano Minoru alongside each other. Orders are made verbally, not via ticket, and payment is made after the meal; sorry, I forgot. It's a little pricey, but the quality is worth it. The kitchen is spacious, and they seem to be enthusiastic about researching limited menu items. I thought they were the best ramen shop when it came to using kelp water. Feeling a bit heatstroke, I ordered soy sauce tsukemen with no toppings. I ordered while I was waiting. I could see them carefully draining the water and steeping the noodles across the counter. The bowl arrived in about five minutes. I started with just the salt. Delicious. The dipping sauce was delicious. The bamboo shoots and pork were also delicious. It felt as carefully prepared as the ramen my dad used to make for me at my parents' restaurant. It was on a whole other level; I'd give it seven stars. My colleagues ordered the soy sauce wontons with rice and the chilled dandan noodles. Next time, I'll bring my wife along. P.S. I have no idea why the ratings are so low. Well, I understand there are some complainers, but the food is truly delicious, so I hope they don't let the noise get them down and keep going. Hamatora Hiyoshi Shop is a must-visit for ramen enthusiasts, offering traditional ramen with a unique twist - charcoal black noodles. The rich mix of spices and wide variety of ramen options make it a standout in Hiyoshi. Customers praise the green onion chicken black noodle with salt soup and recommend trying the soysauce taste ramen with Natto.
I used to come here for a tasty black ramen when I was student more than ten years ago. Same menu is still available in almost same price thanks to their great effort and popularity. One of my favorite ramen in Japan even though the quality of service seems a bit worse than well skilled staffs before in my opinion. Hope I’ll be able to have fantastic ramen next time.

A popular joint. I was lucky there was no wait when I arrived. The 塩鶏そば was good, I'd give it a 3.5 out of 5. First time trying a black ramen noodle and it was alright, slippery thicker than usual noodle. The portion of the noodle is a lot and filling for it's price. I'd come back to try the soupless ramen in the menu.

I had the chicken ramen and it was delicious! The broth was rich and flavorful, and the noodles were cooked perfectly. The portion size was also generous. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a good bowl of ramen 🍜 However, I must admit that the restaurant has a slightly peculiar smell. I'm not sure what's causing it, but it's something to be aware of. I particularly enjoyed the special herb mix and seasonings they offer to add to the ramens, which adds a delightful layer of complexity ✨

Fabulous hotel for the end of our holiday. Would be an ideal location for anyone heading on a cruise or visiting the harbour area. Staff were super helpful and polite. The location is perfect—right by the waterfront with easy access to public transport, shopping, and restaurants. The views of the harbour are beautiful, and it’s a great spot to enjoy both the city and the seaside atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful, making the whole experience even better. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Yokohama! The metro is also right next door making it very easy to get around

We booked our stay via Agoda and it was a pleasant experience. Upon arrival, I informed the staff that we were checking in for my daughter’s birthday, and when we entered the room, they had prepared a card and a tumbler gift for her. Checking in was smooth, the staff were friendly and accommodating, and the room was clean. They even upgraded us to a better room, which we really appreciated. Overall, it was a wonderful stay with thoughtful service. The only downside was that the Chromecast wasn’t working, so the kids had nothing to watch. Still, we truly enjoyed our stay and would consider coming back.

(Translated by Google) High-quality and delicious. We came here to bring a smile to my wife's face, who loves yuzu shio ramen. I was a little worried about the lower ratings compared to the main branch. The noodles are flat and curly, and they cling well to the soup. As for the soup itself, it was excellent. The yuzu flavor was strong and refreshing, with a strong flavor that lingered in the mouth and left a very satisfying feeling. My wife's swelling was inevitable, but she couldn't resist drinking the soup, so she drank it all. I had the soy sauce, which had just the right amount of sharpness, giving it a punch, yet a light taste thanks to the ginger? There was a little bit of back fat floating on top to keep it from feeling overwhelmed, and it was a well-balanced and delicious dish. The bamboo shoots are also long and satisfying, making them one of the restaurant's specialties. ←This probably doesn't make sense when you read it, so you'll have to try it for yourself. The room itself was quiet, comfortable and a pleasant place to stay. The showers where always hot and the guesthouse was full of character and always clean. Complimentary coffee and a spacious kitchen to make anything you want made for a great experience. If you want a cozy and accommodating guesthouse experience in Yokohama this is a great choice !

Super friendly staff, stylish rooms and great value. Can't say much about the location (only spent 1 night), but it seemed okay. One note for potential business customers: the wifi didn't work too well in the rooms upstairs, so if you need to do a lot of heavy surfing, be prepared. For casual use it was perfectly fine though.

Guesthouse Futareno is a lovely traditional inspired Japanese Hostel. The hostel has character, and is run by kind, amazing staff. When I checked in, Mina sat me down to make me feel comfortable, explained the rules, gave me a grand tour of the space and services and provided me with some snacks. Needless to say, even the guest are kind. This place is warm and cosy. It is a 10 minute walk from Sakuragicho station, and I promise you, whilst I only checked in for one night, I wish I had stayed for more. Mina provided me with a Noge map which consisted of recommend places of the bar and restaurant district, all with personal little reviews. I even shared the female dorm room with Eva, another staff member, who was kind and checky as she taught me a little Japanese. Thank you all for your hospitality. I will be back, and for longer :)

One of the best airbnb that I have stayed in. Kenta, the owner and his family gave us the best hospitality we've received here in Japan. They were very helpful and provided us with a map of the shops nearby as well. There's a cosy and quaint aesthetic about the house that made it kinda nice to stay in.

Nice hostel. Well redecorated from an old house. Location is good, but there is an uphill before getting there, so think twice if you have a huge luggage. Staff is nice, well equipped, recommended.

Unagi restaurant
Japanese restaurant
Nestled along the route from JR Ofuna Station to Kamakura, Sansui is a charming eatery that has captured the hearts of locals and visitors alike. This cozy spot specializes in a rich broth made from an exquisite blend of pork bones, various chickens including the renowned Nagoya cochin, and fish, all topped with a luscious layer of chicken oil that keeps it steaming hot. The ambiance is intimate with just a few tables available, making it feel like a hidden gem.
Please take care to read the ample signage, we didn't make a reservation so we were only able to try the eel bowl, which was phenomenal. If you're looking for the other type that comes in a box you'll need to make a reservation at least a day in advance.

(Translated by Google) Lunch eel bowl LW large bowl of rice. It's as delicious as rumored! The sauce is also good. The eel is quite soft, and this seems to have different tastes. (I like the texture to be a little more filling) However, this fluffy texture is also good.

(Translated by Google) I went to "Sansui". Sansui is located along the road from JR Ofuna Station to Kamakura. The store and the interior were not very large, and there were 3 tables for 4 people. This place has irregular business hours and only accepts reservations in the evenings. Also, the lunch menu only includes eel bowl, and there seem to be some local rules. I entered the store first and ordered "Unagidon LW" and "Liver soup". I don't know if the eel bowl is actually cooked after the order is placed, but the eel bowl was served fairly quickly and arrived in about 10 minutes. The ``Unagidon'' came with cucumber pickles and salad. The pickles were ordinary pickles, and the salad was cabbage and lettuce with Japanese-style dressing. The eel is thick and comes in 2 pieces. It is very soft and will fall apart if you hold it with chopsticks. It's not very aromatic, but it has a strong eel flavor. Also, the sauce is not too sweet, has a light taste, and is not overly rich. The ``Unagidon'' here has a light sauce that allows you to really appreciate the taste of the eel. I was able to fully enjoy the taste of eel. The Japanese pepper comes in a bag, and it doesn't have much of a scent. In a sense, this is a complete eel restaurant in town. ``Sansui'' is a very popular restaurant, and it filled up quickly after I entered first, and by the time I left, there were two groups of customers waiting. It's about 1.5 km from the station, so I can't say it's convenient, but it seems like a lot of customers come to the store, including take-out customers. The taste of the eel cannot be disguised by the sauce, but it was very delicious. The liver soup had a good amount of liver in it, and the taste was not too bland, making it a delicious liver soup.

(Translated by Google) We were the third group to visit as soon as they opened on a weekday. I saw the menu and realized this is a popular restaurant that's been featured on TV. I had the eel bowl. The portion was just right for me, and it was delicious and made me feel very happy! I think a woman with a normal appetite would be about 80% full after eating the eel bowl. Normally, when I eat eel, I love the rich, sweet and spicy sauce, so the rice with the sauce becomes the main attraction, and I feel lucky to have eel on top of the rice. However, the sauce here was light in a nice way, and the powerful flavor of the eel itself hit me as I chewed. It was a first-time realization that eel is delicious, something I take for granted. Also, the hot tea they served was so delicious that I couldn't help but stare at the teacup, which was a pleasant surprise. One thing that bothered me was the smell of the toilet air freshener. Since my seat was close to the restroom, a strong floral scent drifted in every time a customer opened and closed the restroom door, creating a subtle flavor that mixed with the aroma of the eel. I think I would have been able to enjoy the eel more if the scent had been more toned down or unscented (although maybe I'm just sensitive to scents).

(Translated by Google) Visited for lunch. The location is from Ofuna Station to Kita-Kamakura Station. It is located along Route 301. Near Municipal Ofuna Junior High School. But this shop... “Bananaman’s gourmet food!!” In the program, it was recommended by Kamakura citizens. When I saw it being mentioned, I got curious and asked about it. What I ate was Eel bowl L 1,700 yen I looked at the eel bowl that came out. It has a nice amount of grilled eel on it. There's plenty of volume too! ! First of all, isn't the price of domestic eel bowl amazing? ? So I was curious about the mechanism, After looking at various reviews, It seems that reservations are required for ``Unaju''. Just chop it up and roast it over charcoal. It seems that unagiju is made using an authentic process, To make the eel bowl for lunch reasonable It looks like it's ready made. But it's an actual eel bowl, Because it's ready-made, the texture is chewy. Are you concerned about small bones due to undercooking? There were various reviews, but... It's so delicious! ! ! ! Σ(゚д゚llll) It's really creamy and fluffy. The result is a delicious eel bowl! ! And this quality of eel 1,700 yen is too amazing! ! ! ! "Eel", which is subject to severe inflation You can eat at this price, Gasoline price is around 130 yen/liter It's like traveling back in time a few years ago The one that makes me feel good lol I mean, gasoline is too expensive these days (T ^ T) And the sauce is thick and has a strong taste. This taste is instinctively delicious! ! ! Certainly from the perspective of people who go to famous eel restaurants, It's cheap, so if you ask me if it's the best, I'm wrong. I think it's delicious enough for an eel restaurant in town! ! Furthermore, the liver is firm and plump! ! Not bad taste. . . After being featured on TV, I'm a little busy and the cooking is a bit slow. There may have been a time when At this time of year when the number of customers is calm, That was not the case at all! ! ! It's great value for money and tastes delicious, This is definitely a famous eel restaurant! ! It's a little far from Ofuna Station, but I recommend it! ! It was worth the wait; the eel was so soft that it melted in my mouth, and there was not much sauce, so you could really taste the eel in the rice bowl. However, in the summer, there is no shade where you can wait outside, so it's a good idea to bring a parasol and water. I'd definitely like to visit again. Ramen restaurant
Muku Zweite is a renowned ramen shop located in Frankfurt, Germany, established by a former trading company employee. It has gained popularity among locals and visitors from Germany and France. The shop offers the famous Zweite Ramen with a pork bone-based soup accentuated with coarsely ground black pepper and served with sauerkraut. Despite its slightly higher prices, customers praise the delicious tonkotsu ramen and vegetarian options available in large portions.
Muku Zweite is another great ramen shop offering delicious vegetarian ramen (only in the large size though). The bowl might look smaller than others but it's jam-packed with thick noodles and lots of veggies in a thick soup. It's so filling! Can't wait to visit the original shop in Germany

Original restaurant is located in Frankfurt, Germany. Of course shopkeeper is Japanese. That’s reason why the fees are a little bit expensive, but taste is the best.

Waited over an hour in line (sunday, 3pm) and really did not like the ramen. We're from Germany but couldn't stand Sauerkraut in ramen, just weird. We had the vegetarian and the miso ramen and both tasted unpleasant. Might be an issue of taste but we won't go again.

Playful, imaginative, like no other. Muku is a ramen shop that originated in Frankfurt, Germany. Their signature ramen consists of two types of broth. The light and foamy layer on top forms a unique textual contrast with the thick and almost creamy soup hidden underneath.

Enjoy 1200 yen Zweite Ramen from a ramen shop called Muku-Zweite whose main branch is in Frankfurt, Germany. Admission fee is 500 yen, ramen is 1,200 yen + rice is 200 yen, and I can't help but feel it's a bit expensive... The soup has a pork bone base with coarsely ground black pepper for an accent. It was accompanied by sauerkraut. Surprisingly, it wasn't too heavy, and the sauerkraut was well-balanced with little acidity. The pancetta-like bacon was chewy, full of flavor, and delicious. The noodles were medium-thick, and although they were a little hard when boiled, they went well with this complex soup. I wish this signature menu would be available in a mini size for 650 yen.
