If you're a coffee enthusiast like me, then Café Caracol Suc. La Madera is an absolute must-visit when you find yourself in Zihua. This charming little coffee shop offers a delightful selection of strong and flavorful brews that are perfect for kickstarting your day. I made it a point to stroll over every morning during my visit from Canada, especially since the trek back up that hill could be quite the workout!
As a coffee lover, I'm always on the lookout for delicious coffee, and I found what I was looking for in this little coffee shop! When in Zihua, Café Caracol is definitely on my todo list.
Dani E — Google review
Coffee is very good. We went one day and liked it so much we went the next, but the gal at the counter was by herself and very busy. The day before there were two people working the counter. I waited about 10 minutes and a woman walked in front of me and asked to pay her bill, then a vendor came and walked in front of me and asked her to pay for some thermoses. At this point I was there for almost 15 minutes and still didn’t have my order taken, so I just left and went to another coffee shop. I guess they didn’t want my money. A shame because Cafe Caracol’s coffee was better and a little less expensive. I don’t blame the girl at the counter, maybe they need another employee to help her like they had the day before. Their coffee is very good and that’s why this place is too busy for just one person.

Delfiniti of Mexico, located in the coastal town of Ixtapa, is a vibrant family waterpark where visitors can enjoy swimming with dolphins. Situated by the Pacific Ocean, this interactive marine park offers an unforgettable experience for all ages. Visitors traveling with their families will find Delfiniti to be a must-visit destination in Ixtapa. The facility provides opportunities for people to interact with dolphins and create lasting memories.
One of the best experiences of organized travel that my wife and I had. Totally 5 star. Mauricio a senior trainer engaged us in the most amazing encounters with dolphins I could ever imagine. Totally a first class place and venue. And like all the people from this region, nice, friendly and accommodating. Thank you Mauricio and all the staff of Definiti.
Stanley A — Google review
Xavier was a fantastic guide. My kids had a blast swimming with the dolphins.
Chris B — Google review
While I am aware that the issue of cetaceans in captivity is an important and contentious one, it is not one that I have given sufficient attention to offer much insight on. The dolphins my eight-year-old son and I interacted with certainly seemed healthy and happy enough, and the aquarium seemed more than large enough for the number of dolphins living in it (but I am not a marine biologist, and so have little more than my impressions to base this on). Moreover, everyone I observed (including my fellow visitors) treated the dolphins with kindness and respect. My son and I signed up for the full interaction, which I recommend if you can afford it. We made our reservations the day before with Jesús Rodríguez, who kindly obtained us a substantial discount. The experience itself is largely indescribable. Luz, the dolphin we interacted with, not only seemed healthy and happy as I mentioned, but also friendly and patient with her visitors. The interaction was informative as well as exciting, and so my son and I also learned a bit about dolphin behavior and physiology. As some other visitors have mentioned, photographs are strictly prohibited within the facilities. Notably, this restriction is not limited to interactions with the dolphins. While profitability may indeed be a factor here, I also suspect it reduces the likelihood of a visitor doing something stupid in an unsupervised interaction with one of the animals. The photographs provided by the professional photographers are indeed expensive--in our case, they cost almost as much as the visit itself. That said, the people responsible for the pictures are clearly professional photographers, such that the photographs are of much higher quality than anything I would have snapped with the camera on phone, or even with one of their cameras.
Brian N — Google review
Terrible experience. The dolphins are under terrible conditions, you can see that they are hurt. If you care about an animals, please DONT GO. Don’t be part of this business 😔
M. D — Google review
Very nice experience if you bring your family! My child was quite happy. Some comments below talk about cleanliness of water, but that's quite untrue. Water is fine. Price to swim with dolphins is $800 MXN (25 min), but that's fine if you think of money is being used to feed them 👌🏼 Negative point is that prices are not posted, so you must be up to negotiate with local people. You can get pro pictures starting from $150 MXN each
Leonardo G — Google review
Absolutely disgusting that there are still places that allow this. Poor dolphins are stuck in a tiny pool and showing signs of depression. So sad.
Andrea S — Google review
Very very heartbreaking. Dolphins belong in the wild, not a tank or other enclosure. These mammals have perfectly evolved to thrive in the ocean, where they deserve to live freely. Captivity simply cannot provide an adequate environment for these wild species. Do not support places like this.
Claire B — Google review
Was a wonderful time worth every dollar spent. I know I see people post about how much it is to do this but you dont get to do this every day. The staff are wonderful and the water is nice as well.

Playa El Palmar is the main beach in Ixtapa, Mexico, known for its two-kilometer stretch of soft sand and powerful waves. It's lined with high-rise hotels and resorts, making it a convenient choice for accommodation. The beach offers a picturesque setting with pristine white sands and clear turquoise waters, perfect for a relaxing vacation experience. Visitors can enjoy various activities such as golfing at nearby courses or arranging private dinners or sailing trips around Ixtapa.
Best beach in the area, even better than La Madera, La Ropa or Las Gatas in Zihuatanejo, although all three of those are nice as well. By far the longest stretch for walking. Big waves in the morning hours. Lots of locals on the weekends that make it magical & slightly crowded, but still completely navigable. Three entry points, two close to massage huts. Sand is perfect with no obstructions or rocks-you can go barefoot the whole beach! Sunsets are stunning, as expected. Sunrises are not spectacular-mountains block the view, but it is less crowded & not nearly as hot.
Matthew G — Google review
Nice beach for booth boarding, if you wind up with a wavy day. Otherwise, usually very calm and serene. The water is beautiful but it’s not crystal clear, having some seaweed around

Excellent place to enjoy the beach and swim in the ocean. There aren’t high waves, however you have to be aware of the sudden high waves. You can rent a space to hang out and eat your own food, they also sell food and drinks there in case you didn’t bring them with you.
Lucia V — Google review
The water was warm, there was plenty of places to sit and relax and there was tons of great food. It's a bit crowded, but everyone is so nice, so it doesnt really matter. Theres tons of things to do on the water, but I reccomend parasailing. Super easy and extremely fun! Not to mention very cheap. I think I spent just about $7 USD for 2 people. So worth it!!

There is an amazing deep forest bike ride from the town of Ixtapa to Playa Linda. Maybe 8km.There's a bike rental shop on the bike path next to the restaurant Soleiados near the Marina. You can rent bikes and ask for a guide if needed.. Leave from there, follow the bike path around to the left, up and down a few hills and at one point you will cross the street into the "Crocodile jungle". Take the path all the way to Playa Linda. Get off your bike at the natural Croc habitat and around the corner you can feed the iguanas some mangos from the mango cart. They are friendly. Definitely bring water & pesos.

(Translated by Google) Riding the Ixtapa bike path was an incredible experience. Despite renting somewhat heavy bikes, we managed to complete the tour in about an hour and a half, which speaks volumes about the path's condition and accessibility. During the ride, we were able to observe different species of birds, sunbathing iguanas, and vegetation that surrounds you in a completely natural environment. It's like pedaling through a small ecological sanctuary. The viewpoint is a must-see; although it's a small area, it's ideal for pausing, taking photos, and enjoying the scenery. The route also takes you directly to Playa Linda, where you can end the ride with an ocean view or even stay and rest. If you're in Ixtapa and looking for an active, relaxing activity that connects you with nature, this bike path is an option you can't miss.
