Cafe
American restaurant
Breakfast restaurant
The Cafe à La C'Art is a luxurious cafe located in the Tucson Museum of Art with an arty interior or on the lovely brick patio. It serves American fare with Southwest flavors, and welcomes dogs at six outdoor tables.
This place was such an amazing experience. The Grilled Salmon and Rice Noodle salad was easily the best salad I've ever had in my adult life. The salmon was the best tasting salmon I've ever eaten outside of rural Alaska (when I would catch them fresh and eat them the same day) I could not believe the salmon was this good out in the desert! The flavor exceeded my consciousness. That's saying a lot since I like maximum flavor. This salad was truly a work of art. I will be coming back here with my wife and family as often as we can. I would recommend anything they make 10 fold.

Finding this place was an adventure in itself. Right behind the Museum of Art. It was amazing all around. Service was very friendly and accommodating. And the food! So delicious. Those rosemary potatoes had me addicted honestly. You really get the overall experience here and I am almost tempted to call this my new favorite breakfast/bunch place just from my first visit. I definitely recommend this place.

We decided that this was the place to host our daughter’s graduation Brunch event for 22 guests. That decision was one of the best I have ever made! From the very early days of planning to the end of the 2 -hour event, the experience was 5-star all the way. Communication was responsive and accommodating as I worked with Mark, co-owner, and the other catering managers, Channa and Christian. This is a YES business, meaning all of my requests were welcomed with an open mind and a positive approach to making it work. I was so impressed with the sweet, friendly, fast-acting and very attentive servers, Leah and Sara. The food, the setting, the accommodations, the welcoming smiles – honestly EVERYTHING was so far beyond my expectations, I couldn’t be happier. My daughter was over the moon and loved every bit of it. Thank you, Café à La C'Art team, you made a difference in our lives by serving as a backdrop to an unforgettable family memory. If you are reading this and considering this team for a special event…do it. You will have no regrets!

Really good breakfast, the lemon French toast amazing, the pancakes good consistency, bread pudding yummy. I really recommend. This places has divided rooms and you can request private rooms reserved

The place is beautiful. The artwork is beautiful and the vibe the outdoor seating is so serene and peaceful, but the food just did not cut it for me. I ordered the Chilaquiles with an over easy egg. They were extremely salty to the point where I could not swallow them. They were not hot. The only thing I was able to eat off my plate was the egg and the avocado the staff never came to check on us, but not towards the end. Did somebody come and asked me if I wanted a box for my food she clearly saw that I did not eat anything did not ask me if there was something wrong with it. I told her no thank you. I would maybe come back to get a coffee, but the food just did not cut it for me.

Beautiful location, service was excellent. I only gave 4 stars because my meal was mostly potatos. I would have greatly appreciated more of a mix of the fresh veggies. I ordered the market skillet. Food tasted very good, however. Drinks were exceptionally good.

This place is very unassuming from the outside. Once you get in you see that it's much larger and has a lot to offer. Indoor and outdoor seating. We went for breakfast and it was great! Salmon eggs benedict was tasty and creamy, house skillet was also delicious. Surprised that they had a full espresso menu going on.... macchiotto and mocha spot on!

OMG❣️❣️WHAT A FIND❣️❣️ My birthday activities began with brunch at this wonderfully ‘quaint’ restored row-house in the older part of downtown Tucson. Understated, for sure, as you wonder if you’re in the right place🤔. You Are👍. The meal was awesome…and unique. AND….don’t forget dessert—🍰— even if you have to take it home. It certainly isn’t ‘run of the mill’ ……our new fav💞

5 Points Market & Restaurant is a modern and well-lit establishment that offers New American cuisine, espresso drinks, and a small grocery market. Recently introducing their first-ever happy hour, they offer discounts on wine by the glass, half-priced bottles, and staff-picked canned drinks to pair with items from the happy hour snacks menu. The restaurant's commitment to sustainability and fair treatment of employees makes it worth visiting not only for its delicious food but also to support its values.
I have been travelling around the US for 2 weeks and eaten at a lot of restaurants. I came here for breakfast. The huevos rancheros was by far the best meal I've eaten in the States. I came back for dinner and the hamburger was also superb. I ordered the Beats and Avacado as a side. Again, spectacular. Glad I came to Tucson

From the moment you arrive, you can feel the positive vibe from the entire staff. They’re super friendly and welcoming. As soon as you sit down, they walk you through the menu — they tell you about the house specialties, the dish of the day, and what’s been the most popular breakfast item that week. You can tell they truly know and have tasted what they’re recommending. I highly recommend coming here for breakfast. The menu is minimalistic, but every dish is crafted with incredible attention to detail and quality. The place is very clean, peaceful, and has a relaxed, cozy atmosphere. They also have an outdoor seating area with little tables and chairs — perfect for enjoying a coffee outside. One thing I really appreciated was how the team’s passion shines through. They’re not just reading the menu to you — they genuinely care about what they’re serving, and you can feel it. On this visit, I ordered the smoked salmon eggs benedict. The presentation was impeccable: it came with a fresh salad dressed with a house-made balsamic vinaigrette, a delicious potato cake with mustard seeds, and the main event — two perfectly poached eggs on a house-made bread (light, airy, and perfectly baked), topped with a rich, creamy hollandaise sauce and high-quality smoked salmon. Everything was beautifully balanced in flavor and texture. The coffee was excellent too, and the service was quick without ever feeling rushed. It’s an ideal spot for a relaxed breakfast, whether you’re with a partner or family. Without a doubt, highly recommended — not just for the food, but for the whole experience.

This is a must go to spot while my wife and I are in town. If you only have time for one visit go with the juevos rancheros and add the pork. It is amazing. My daughter and I both had pancakes which were tasty and filling. Plus they have adult beverages which added a nice touch.

This was a great spot for breakfast/brunch in Tucson. The staff was consistently friendly and attentive from the first greeting at the host/hostess stand and throughout the breakfast service. There was no wait when we arrived late morning on a Saturday. The coffees were excellent - a Vanilla latte with housemade syrup and a matcha. The banana bread was outstanding, warm and chocolatey; a great complement to the warm beverages. The Smoked Salmon Benedict on a English Muffin and the Huevos Rancheros with pork shoulder were both outstanding. Excellent flavors, nice portions, affordably priced. The pancakes on the adjacent tables were impressively. This is a great spot for a relaxed, casual breakfast/brunch, excellent food, cozy dining environment, friendly staff.

It’s been a while since I’ve been here, but I still remember how amazing the kouign-amman was. The crust was balancing the slight saltiness of rosemary cream filling perfectly, it was nothing like I’ve ever eaten. This pastry would be the reason I would return. As for brunch, I found the Eggs Benedict portion quite small (especially considering the price). Overall it’s a nice little place in Barrio Viejo.

I am a huge foodie and from CA where we have a plethora of delicious organic culinary experiences. This place had the best burger and steak I’ve ever had, oh my goodness they were to die for. Customer service was excellent and loved the paintings they had up for sale. Was a pleasant surprise and relief to eat here because most other restaurants in Tucson do not have fresh food. Will def be back and eat here several days in a row next time to try their entire menu!
Gracie C — Google review
We had pretty high expectations for this place for being out of towners - saw it on many travel blogs and posts so thought it would leave us feeling satisfied. The food itself was pretty good, but not as flavorful as expected and the location/place itself was also a bit disappointing. Staff was friendly and attentive.

If you’re looking for a spot that embodies the perfect blend of delicious food and laid-back ambiance, look no further than Five Points Market & Restaurant. My recent visit was nothing short of delightful, starting with the star of the meal—a burger that was nothing short of spectacular. The burger was expertly crafted with in-house made brioche buns that were soft yet sturdy enough to hold the juicy patty and fresh toppings. Each bite was a symphony of flavors, perfectly complemented by the correctly prepared fries. These fries were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, and when dipped in the burger sauce, they reached a whole new level of amazing. It’s the kind of combination that keeps you coming back for more. To wash it all down, I ordered a Tom Collins cocktail that was made to perfection. Refreshing with just the right balance of sweetness and citrus, it paired beautifully with my meal and added to the overall experience. The ambiance at Five Points is incredibly chill, making it a great place to unwind after a long day. The inviting decor, coupled with a large selection of wine on the shelf, creates a welcoming atmosphere that encourages you to linger a little longer. Plus, if you're looking to take a piece of the experience home, they offer some great merchandise like hats and t-shirts that make for perfect souvenirs. Overall, Five Points Market & Restaurant successfully combines fantastic food, a relaxed vibe, and excellent drink options. I can’t recommend it enough for anyone in search of a great burger experience. I will definitely be back for more!

Cafe
Village Bakehouse is a charming locally owned bakery and cafe in Tucson, offering a delightful array of freshly baked goods, sandwiches, and desserts. The bakery is renowned for its scratch-made pies, with the holiday season being an especially bustling time as they prepare thousands of pies using fresh ingredients like apples and pumpkin pie filling. Owners John and Nancy McKearney are dedicated to creating artisanal baked goods that capture the essence of a village kitchen.
amazing!!! stopped in for breakfast & we got the stuffed french toast & an omelette. both were delicious. service is friendly & the atmosphere is very warm & inviting. great prices for the pastries.

Village Bakehouse is all about great tasting, fresh food for breakfast or lunch. We had coffee and pastries! Yum! The Buttermilk Cinnamon Roll was perfection! We also tried the Cinnamon Crunch Roll. The specialty coffees were great. There was indoor and outdoor seating. It was not a scenic view as it overlooked a busy parking lot. It felt a bit pricey, but the food was exceptional. We sat at a table outdoors and waited for our coffee. We were unaware of the process. It appeared that we were to wait inside for our beverages. I look forward to returning to try their lunch menu. I've heard their cakes are amazing.
Nancy P — Google review
Great little bakery Café with a lot of variety to choose from for pastries and desserts. The coffee was not fantastic, but they do have a lot of different options, including flavored lattes. The service was very good. The croissant on the breakfast sandwich was nice and fluffy, but the sandwich itself was nothing that special. However, the cinnamon scones were very tasty and made very well. There is both indoor and outdoor seating.

Cake Fail: Expectation vs Reality I ordered this cake from the “Coraline” movie for my teen sister’s birthday intended as a surprise…and a surprise it was, in the jumpscare kind of way. After researching custom cakes in the Tucson area, I came across Village Bakehouse. It was well acclaimed in online reviews and notable in local forums. I called to arrange a consultation per the website and was told I could come in, no appointment needed. I went within the next 30 minutes to receive a quote. I shared my desired outcome with pictures and told them I wanted a strawberry flavored cake with strawberry fruit filling. I explicitly expressed I wanted the design to be the same as the picture with the detailing of the lettering and snowflakes. Simple enough, right ? They said they could have it ready by the due date and I felt they addressed my needs so I agreed to their quote, paid, and sent the images via email. Walking out, I felt excited I’d be able to surprise my sister with her dream cake. To say I’m disappointed would be an understatement. I have a very hectic schedule and wasn’t able to see the cake until I got home from work. The fact that the design was pretty straight forward but the result reflected pure laziness baffled me. It’s not like I ordered this cake two days ahead of time! If they can't fulfill a service, then they need to hold off from providing that service until they can do so at the level at which they advertise they can. I know cakes are work but if you don’t plan to deliver just don’t take orders. After all isn’t this bakery supposed to reflect art at a skilled level ? I was willing to give grace had it been that the cake tasted as good as reviews mentioned. Again, sadly was not my experience. The cake was on the drier side & the strawberry fruit filling was nonexistent. The fondant used was way too sweet. It was honestly embarrassing presenting this to my family because I had expressed my enthusiasm of the vision turned reality from so-called professional bakery.

used to work here and the toxicity is crazy. food is good, but my birthday cake was a mess. even with my employee discount it was $40. The cakes here are beautiful i really expected better. you couldn’t pay me to go back

I have enjoyed sitting at this café with friends, but recently we bought a cake for my daughter’s 16th birthday. She has been wanting a cake from here ever since she tasted one at a good friend‘s party. We had a chance to work with Ryan and he helped us through every step of the process. He made it easy and even gave me a sneak peek before I ended up picking up the cake which he carried to my car. We had an overall an amazing experience, which is just awesome when you’re already doing so much other work planning a party. For me as the mom this was just as important as my daughter being so delighted by the cake. A huge thank you to Ryan!! Also the cake looked fantastic exactly what my daughter wanted and very delicious!! Friends, and family raved about it and I even directed a friend to Village bakehouse for her daughter’s party.

Had an amazing breakfast and the pastry selection was incredible. The outdoor seating area is roomy and they had heaters on since it was chilly in the morning time. The breakfast burrito and stuffed french toast were tasty. Coffee was also pretty good and had a lot of flavor options.

Restaurant
Baja Cafe on Campbell, located in North Campbell, is a popular brunch spot offering an extensive menu with 13 different types of Eggs Benedict, savory specialties, and hearty sweet treats. The cafe is known for its massive pancakes that require at least two people to finish. One of their famous creations is the snickerdoodle pancake, which is large and thick topped with cinnamon sugar and vanilla bean cream cheese.
I wish I could rate Baja Cafe 10 stars. There's a reason they have such high consistent ratings!! Our server Chance went above and beyond with friendly service and accommodating extra asks like extra plates or eggs on the side etc. The food was out of this world. So much flavor packed in and great portions! We split the train wreck and the cinnamon roll pancake. Both to die for.

There's is nothing that I don't like about the food and the people here. I tried both locations, and they are amazing. They do have different menu adaptation because of restrictions, but nevertheless, it is fantastic. The pancakes are fluffy. The combination of breakfast ingredients is great and a good take on classics. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu.

First time here. Love the pet friendly patio and you can tell the staff really love dogs.🐶 Very friendly service, great food, and atmosphere. Enjoy Tucson mornings outdoors with yummy food 😋 We had the lemon blueberry pancake, the King Kong, the Wolverine, and Hatch green chili tacos. Definitely worth it!

Wonderful smell as soon as you walk in. Immediately seated, placed our order within minutes. Not a long wait time for the food and they were busy. Eggs are moist buttery and delicious, hash browns are cooked thoroughly. Pancakes are moist and buttery in the center and slight crisp edges. Sausage patties are the main event, lol delicious!

The food was delicious and you no need to wait a lot to be serve. The service was great and he explains everything to us and help us to choose. The flavor of the food was amazing and really good prices. Definitely come back again, highly recommend. 🤤 👌

We stopped by for a visit Friday morning September 19th 2025. The dining facilities and restroom were clean. The only drawback was the food was not hot; the plates the breakfast was served on were cool to the touch. Perhaps that was the reason for the entree being not tepid. The menu certainly had an excellent variety of attractive items from which to choose. The service was reasonable. The customers seemed to be from quite a variety of professions.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We came for breakfast with our family who came from Chicago. We ordered black widow and road runner with pancake and hash brown. The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was great too! Everything was fresh, flavorful, and served with a smile. Definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone

Cafe
Nestled in Tucson, the Bread & Butter Cafe is a delightful homestyle diner that serves up an array of comfort foods sure to warm your heart. From classic chicken fried steak to hearty meatloaf, this charming eatery has something for everyone. Breakfast lovers will rejoice as they can indulge in breakfast all day long, featuring a diverse menu filled with mouthwatering options like fluffy hot cakes and crispy waffles.
This is a great breakfast spot with a friendly neighborhood charm. My daughter couldn't wait to bring me here. The food is very good and the portions are generous. I had the chicken fried chicken with scrambled eggs and added a blueberry pancake. We also ordered bacon, cheesy eggs, and the biscuit and gravy. Everything was good and the service was great. They kept my cup filled with hot coffee literally from the moment we sat down. (I thought the coffee was free, for that reason, but it's actually $3 a cup.) I didn't sample any of the pies, but they boast that they have the world's best pies.
Angelia B — Google review
The first impression when you walk inside if you're of an age to remember, the show is Mel's diner or Wings. Everything is homemade from the biscuits to the bread to the pies. They even have cinnamon rolls that are homemade. It reminds me of those mom and pop diners five and diners. I didn't try the muffins but the banana bread was wonderful and the cinnamon rolls were great. So we're definitely going back to try the homemade pies and the homemade muffins and brunch was amazing. You definitely get your money's worth because even though I ordered a two egg breakfast I know I got more than two eggs as you can see from my plate that I took a picture of. My server was very nice and personable just like they were 20 years ago. Everybody talks to you. It's wonderful. It's like stepping back in time. This is now my favorite place to have breakfast or lunch. I love it.
Lisa P — Google review
It saddens me to write this post as my husband and I loved this place and have been coming here almost every Sunday for years. We noticed they would get new tables and we were proud that they were able to upgrade. However, we didn’t know they would be plastered with ads. It’s very tone deaf and distracting as we are constantly surrounded by ads. I can’t imagine how people who struggle with bad eye sight would feel. The homey feeling is gone. As a user experience professional, this is not user friendly, or accessible to people with disabilities. We informed the owner’s son and he said “well sorry but we just got these tables and we’re not changing them.” The response was incredibly rude and solidified the fact that they care more about other business than their customers. Consequently, we will not be coming here anymore…unless the tables turn (back). As regulars, we just wanted to politely leave feedback since we also heard that other customers had the same complaints. We wanted to see this small business continue to thrive. The service is amazing, the servers are friendly, the atmosphere WAS good, but this feels like a dystopia where we are spammed with ads.
Alyssa K — Google review
Yes, this food is expensive, but what isn't these days? But the Bread and Butter of it is, you always get what you pay for. And this was one of the best breakfasts I've had in a long time. So, if the occasion warrants the best possible food, service, and atmosphere, stop here, and have a great day.
Jason J — Google review
1st time in. Started out 5 star, but then... went for advertised homemade chicken fried steak: it wasn't and was about size of small hamburger patty. Saw home fries coming in ordered, but had to send back for cooking, tasteless. Steak cold by the time got the potatoes back, toast came in cold and halfway buttered. 2 eggs with meal, more like one, but charged $2 for cheese. Other meal came with 3 eggs, charged $1 for cheese. Servings looked the same. Pork chops good. Ordered 1 meal with hash browns, came on side and non-ordered home fries on second dish cooked perfect. Food looks bigger because it's in tiny plates. If hungry enough they might get a 2nd chance.
JL P — Google review
The food is so good. Best blueberry pancakes I have ever had. Everything is cooked right and fast. From ordering to eating was less than 10 minutes. The biscuits are soft and fluffy, like delicious little pillows. The gravy is savory and doesn't break down like some gravies do. Chicken fried steak is perfectly cooked, tender enough to cut with a fork. And the homefries are crispy and well seasoned. Definitely my new favorite breakfast spot. We'll be back.

If you have the time please please come to Bread and Butter Cafe! This place is my absolute favorite place ever and if you want a sweet treat get the cheesecake pie! Best thing i’ve ever had. The staff is the most friendly, welcoming and such kind hearted people. They also have an early bird special that is $4.99 that is amazing!! Could not recommend this place enough

Nothing fancy, just Great food! This diner is very homey, the atmosphere is personable and the food is delicious! I had a Spanish Omelette and it was filling! Go early as they serve breakfast and lunch only. They close st 2pm. The French dip is very good.

Nadine's Bakery, a classic Tucson bakery with decades of experience perfecting cakes and pastries, offers customers the option to customize their orders with fully customizable cake and pastry combinations. They also go through with all your specifications should you choose to have a custom order made while recommending you various pastry creations.
Nadine's is The place for your cakes and pastries. They did an awesome job on my son's birthday cake! He's grown but became a kid over his cake. The butter cream frosting and fudge center made this cake truly memorable. And the artwork I chose for the theme was professionally done. I truly appreciated the tips that they gave me for transporting safely and storing the cake before serving. I'll definitely be back😁

This place is SO good. I have gone here 2 times now, and I am hoping to go more before I move in august. The cheesecake bars they had were so bomb, and this time I tried a little cake and cream puffs. The cream in the cream puffs is OUTSTANDING. It isn't overly sweet at all, and comes with so much. They do a good job at incorporating a decadent flavor to the chocolate in any of their baked goods. Highly recommend :)

Visiting from out of town and ordered two specialty cakes within 4 days of family birthdays. Service with a smile, thoughtful input and exquisite decorations. Just as we hoped for... desert/cactus/ wild west themed cakes. The marble very moist n loved the mocha and Bavarian cream filling options. Happy family🥰

After looking at 3 other bakeries, I found Nadines Bakery on line. I called and spoke to a friendly voice, indicated what I needed and was told I needed to go in to order. I did go in the following day where I was promptly greeted by a young lady, friendly and referred to someone else who may have been having a stressed morning. I was told I couldn't order my cake because they were booked. (I just needed the cake, no set up). I did let them know that I was told that I could order it and that's why I was there. I was able to order for pick up. This young lady's mood lightened up and the rest of my interaction with her was much more pleasant as we talked. I also purchased one of their cherry 🍒 Danish. The Danish was very very good! PICK UP DAY: the cake was in the refrigerator and it was beautiful. I was anxious to taste it. It was boxed with care with instructions on how to carry it, where not to put it during transport. Went to the venue with the cake. Had dinner, cake was brought out and it was a big hit! The cake was absolutely perfectly delicious 😋. IT'S A BOY 👶🍼👣🫃💙 I would recommend if you need a cake, cookies, turnovers, etc., that's where I'll be going! Not sure on all the prices. I was a little sticker shocked at the price of the cake, but in hindsight, it worked out just great. Thank you Nadines Bakery for a job well done 👏 UPDATE: Ordered a space themed babyshower cake from Nadine's. Marble cake , 3 layers, decorated and it was a big hit at the party. Once again, thank you to the staff at Nadine's! Added some pictures to show the theme along with the cake (accidentally smudged the balloon 🎈 strings) 🤦‍♀️

Had high hopes for this bakery. Purchased a full cake at $23.50 person up front. Didn't even care. She just said let it sit out to get soft. It was horrible. The cake was horrible. Also got some cookies tasteless completely tasteless. I'll never go back again.

⸻ Bought a cake for a 65th birthday party and it was awful. The frosting was the only decent part. The cake itself was spongy, bland, and had no flavor at all. This was actually the second chance I gave this bakery after another terrible cake, and they failed again. Two strikes — I won’t be back

Small shop that's been around forever. Staff is so patient and really work with you. PARENTS OF ALLERGY KIDS THEY ACCOMPDATE EVERYTHING. WE HAVE A SEVERE DAIRY AND PEANUT ALLERGY AND THEY MADE THE CAKE, FROSTING, FILLING ALL DAIRY FREE. THE CAKES CAN BE AS CUSTOMIZED AS YOU WANT. They even have stock sh w loved cakes as well. I would be devastated if they ever closed. Only bakery in town to accomafay3 the entire dessert and still have fair prices never paid more than 45 for a cake that feeds up to 10 people.

Nestled in Southern Arizona, Cafe Francais is a charming bakery that brings the essence of French patisserie to life. Since its opening in 2019, this delightful spot has been captivating locals and visitors alike with an array of authentic French breads and pastries. From classic baguettes to intricate Kouign Amann—an exquisite layered yeast cake boasting a perfect balance of sweet and salty—there's something for every palate.
I have been looking for bakery options on the East side of Tucson, and this bakery exceeded my expectations. It is on the smaller side, but they use their space very well by lining the seating against the walls of the establishment. Their display cases were neatly packed with pastries and the labels made it very clear what you were looking at. The staff member that helped me today was super sweet and had great customer service. I ordered the almond croissant, and boy was it worth the money! I will continue to come here and I will continue to recommend this place, as I had a great experience!

I got quite a few different pastry specials and they were all very yummy. Got there at 8:45am on Saturday morning and was second in line for open at 9. Right at 9am, about 10 more people were behind me. Worth it! The almond bear claws were my favorite. Best I’ve ever had! The price per was in the $7-$10 range.

Our first visit but not our last. I wanted to try everything. It's all beautiful, it's all art. There is art on the walls and in the pastry cases. A lot of the art you get to eat! I tried the Caramel Carrot Cake Smasher and it was a lovely treat that I savored and didn't rush through, because I didn't want it to end. The first bites were delightful, but as the experience developed, I was met with a blissful surprise. And then, another. I'll let you find out for yourself. Go.

I am so excited the new location on Broadway and Alvernon opened! I just tried a puff pastry with braised beef and chimichurri, and oh my gosh, I cannot explain how amazing and delicious this is! This has become one of my favorite things from you guys! Excellent!

The only french style bakery in Tucson, so for that reason it’s good. Pastries are decent, although not as good and more expensive than the best options in other cities. Coffee was horrible, asked to add only a small amount of flavor and it tasted like it was half syrup. If I come back I would just get pastries to go.
Kaelyn L — Google review
I tried a captain crunch macaron that was a light delicious flavor. The chocolate filled croissant was decadent and perfectly flaky. I also tried a peach pastry with cinnamon and sugar topping that I don't remember the name of that was to die for. This place might become a weekly stop. ❤️

We absolutely love having this bakery right next door to our tattoo shop! Not only do they have amazing treats, but every time we walk in, we’re greeted with such a warm welcome. We love sending our clients over to try them out — and they never disappoint! Micheal always remembers my regular drink (seriously, the best!), and my wife is always happy when I come home with goodies from here. Couldn’t ask for better neighbors or better desserts!

HeeMee Coffee + Bakery is a charming family-run cafe located in downtown Tucson, offering a delightful fusion of Korean, French, and Japanese influences. The menu features an array of delectable treats such as red bean doughnuts, bingsoo (a Korean shaved ice dessert), specialty cakes, croissants, and unique coffee offerings. This cozy and minimalistic cafe also celebrates its Korean heritage by serving traditional cakes and sweet as well as savory treats.
1000x YES for this place. The coffee bar has a large variety - we had a lavender matcha and lavender lemonade, both delicious. They also have pastries - the custard donut was very good. Then for lunch we tried the katsu and spicy bulgogi bowl both FANTASTIC!!! The bulgogi was so tender and the cabbage side salad was yummy. I find myself craving this place after just 1 visit. I want to try a Korean corn dog next time and the bulgogi sandwich 🤤🤤🤤🤤 I would say if you are in a hurry, order ahead, they get pretty darn busy!

You will miss it if you’re not paying attention— and you will regret missing it. We stopped here on a day trip to Tucson for a quick lunch. Very small establishment, but the café vibes are great and almost everything we had was great! Pictured are some items we tried: cookie butter latte (10/10), pastries (did not try but looked SO good), Korean fried chicken (100/10), and the Korean corn dog (10/10). The only thing that we didn’t love was the caramel macchiato my boyfriend had gotten. Might have been a difference of preference— but the drink tasted like butter? I will not yuck someone’s yum, might have been a taste thing. Regardless, service was friendly, fast, and everything was fresh. We did have to wait an additional in 10 or so minutes for the Korean corn dog, but that is because it came out piping hot and fresh. They are only available on the weekends but would totally come back here again when in Tucson.

The pastries were delicious and looked just like how they tasted! Coffee was really good too! It's one of my new favorite bakeries. Next time, I'm going to try something from their lunch menu! 😄

I tried the cookie butter latte (my fav), the Dubai chocolate latte, and the churro latte all 5/5 lattes. The service was incredibly kind and quick. There was only one barista while we were there and she was able to whip all the drinks out very quickly props to her. I would shout her out but she looks busy. Overall I loved it here one of my fav coffee shops. Omg and there baked goods are to die for. Tried their cheese danish and croissant and they were yummy delicious.

I ducked into HeeMee Coffee on my way out of Tucson—“just a quick caffeine stop,” I told myself. Famous last words. This downtown café-bakery with a Korean twist turned a pit stop into a full-on crush. First sip: the Iced Cookie Butter Coffee. Think velvety, cinnamon-kissed nostalgia without the sugar bomb—balanced, creamy, and wildly aromatic. It’s dessert energy with specialty-coffee discipline. Then came the Dubai Chocolate. Wow. Deep, dark, and silk-smooth with a whisper of spice and perfume—like hot cocoa that studied abroad and came back enlightened. Both drinks were dialed-in and presentation-pretty, the kind of cups you photograph first and finish fast. The space has that “stay awhile” hum—bright, modern, and warmed by the glow of the pastry case. You’ll spot Korean-leaning bakes and a small kitchen turning out food that makes you wish you weren’t on a schedule. I didn’t have time to eat, but the menu teased enough to guarantee my return: this isn’t just a coffee counter; it’s a café with a point of view.
Pachi S — Google review
This place is a gem in downtown Tucson. There's a good variety of drinks and pastries and they were also very reasonably priced. I got the ocean latte and it was super pretty and tasted quite good as well. We also tried the matcha cheesecake and it was delicious.

Have had this place on my ‘list’ to try for coffee/pastries. Friendly service and they make a great espresso drink! We got a few different pastries to try which are fresh and yummy.
Betsy M — Google review
All the pictures are adorable and practically drag you into the store, although I think most of it is for the Instagram aesthetics. Their drinks are definitely a novelty for social media without much actual flavor, but their food is absolutely delicious. I highly recommend the chicken katsu sandwich! This is more of a mid-day cafe than a spot for a quick breakfast, as it doesn’t seem like their pastries are made in house and aren’t usually put out until at least an hour into opening. Moral of the story: skip the bevies, snap pics of the pastries, and chow down on the food and snacks.

Houlden's Rise Above is a charming vegan bakery that has quickly become a beloved spot for both vegans and non-vegans alike. With its inviting atmosphere, this delightful establishment offers an impressive selection of vegan goodies, including savory turnovers, flaky bear claws, and rich cheesecakes.
This place is so good! I finally had a chance to visit after trying their pastries at Midtown Vegan Deli (which happens to be in the same complex as the bakery). I have crazy food allergies so to find a place the makes gluten free & vegan food and tastes good is amazing. Non-vegans will enjoy it too.
Zoe D — Google review
I don’t think I’ve ever had such an amazing and absolutely delicious experience at a bakery before. And I am definitely a pastry/bakery fan. Not only is absolutely everything you choose, beyond delicious but all of the people that work there are always so kind and welcoming. I didn’t even know that all of the pastries were vegan because I am not a vegan, they are absolute best pastries I’ve ever had. So many selections including savory and sweet and even gluten-free options. I come here way too much if that’s even possible. The menu changes from week to week and it keeps you coming back.
Yolanda M — Google review
I’ve been a Houlden’s super fan since moving to Tucson in January 2022. I’ve been vegan for 6.5 years and have tried vegan baked goods all over the world, and I can honestly say these are the best vegan pastries/desserts I’ve ever had in my life. Scratch that, they’re the best pastries and desserts I’ve ever had in my life EVER — both vegan and non-vegan. So when it came time for my wedding, I knew they were the only ones I trusted to make the wedding cake of my dreams. Hannah and Michael did such an amazing job responding to our requests, making a tasting box for my fiancé and I to try, and making the biggest and most beautiful wedding cake I’d ever seen! We got so many compliments about the cake and everyone was begging for an extra slice. I was the only vegan at the wedding and all of the non-vegans were blown away at how delicious the cake was. Many even said it was the best cake they’d ever had in their life!! I am so grateful to Houlden’s for their hard work and dedication making our cake a smashing success. I also love that every time I see their baked goods around town I can remember the magic of my wedding day. Thank you!!

I finally made it! I'm from Pennsylvania so I was very excited to find this vegan bakery before I even left the East Coast! The food looks amazing on Instagram and even better in person. I've only tried a couple of these so far but holy moly they are delicious. The herby bread, I could eat it every day! And the strawberry layered cup... Tastes exactly like a strawberry shortcake! Thank you for all you do!

Edit: I visited Tucson again 1 year later, and this was my first stop. That's how good this place is! I'm so happy to be able to visit again and try some more fresh, delicious goodies! Best bakery ever! Original review Jan 2024: Whatever kind of "-vore" you are, you will not be disappointed...these are the best pastries I've ever had! I was fortunate to stumble upon this place while visiting from out of town. I had a lovely chat with one of the owners who talked me through their available items and how long they'd keep since I wanted to take some extra home 😁 The pastry dough is *chef's kiss*...just the perfect amount of flakiness and crunchiness... Nothing dry or boring about any of these desserts! I wish I lived closer and that there were more vegan bakeries like this!!
Karen Y — Google review
From a baker & non-vegan: if all vegan pastries tasted like this, there will be more tasty vegan pastries 😂 because let's be real, most vegan pastries are boring, dry or kludgey -- at least the ones I've had. Had the street corn croissant and blood orange & blueberry cheesecake (with tofu & cashew) -- both were delish, Houlden's play with flavor is spot on.

Holders are the best crescents in Tucson by far. A d whatvthey do with them to create their deliscious & creative delights is incredible. This place us a wekend treat for our family as often as possible. Deluscious coffees too. I'll never go anywhere for crescents and so.many other wholesome fresh foods. Thus is a MUST TRY bakery for Tucson! Wonderful vegan options too!

AMAZING!! Literally, EVERYTHING I've gotten from here has been FABULOUS. From the strawberries and cream croissant, to the banana danish, even the herby biscuit was next level delicious!! If you're a fan of oatmeal cream pies... You will never touch another little Debbie's if you taste their's! The Brownie... its STUPIDLY tasty, and if you put it in the oven for 5 mins, it's a wrap! I definitely could go on about everything I've experienced, but you shouldn't take my word and just go try Houldens for yourself. I promise you won't ve disappointed!!

Malta Joe's also offers an array of innovative flavors such as Blueberry Cheesecake and Nutella, ensuring there's something for everyone.
Joe made a custom carrot cake for my Moms 85th birthday. It was delicious! Best carrot cake ever was heard around the table. They were also able to arrange a last minute pickup on short notice. A few sweet and flaky pastizzi thrown in that topped off an incredible experience. Thanks Joe!

Absolutely love Malta Joe's! I grew up eating homemade pastizzi from my grandma, and I am so grateful for Malta Joe to keep the tradition alive. The pastizzi are absolutely delicious—flaky, flavorful, and nostalgic—and I love the variety of choices. Even though I'm states away, they arrive quickly and totally frozen. I always look forward to these deliveries and have turned my non-Maltese loved ones onto the deliciousness. Thank you, Malta Joe!

First time trying Malta Joe's pastizzi - Joe's homemade birria was melt in your mouth with the crispy, flaky crust. The traditional ricotta and the split pea/curry were also phenomenal. First time customer. Ordered the 10 bags of pastizzi. Half ricotta and half meat. Thanks Joe for helping get the order for an old timer not too great on the internet. It was great talking to you on the phone. Order only took two days to arrive to California. Fed Ex was right on time and they were frozen solid. Baked half dozed as soon as I got them. They are absolutely delicious. Definately the taste my family and I missed so much. My mother used to make these and she would definately approve. I'm so glad that we found this place so that can have these again for the holidays, get togethers or just with tea. Thanks Joe.

Vivace Restaurant offers an elegant dining experience with a romantic ambiance, serving Northern Italian cuisine in the beautiful setting of the Catalina Mountains. The restaurant is known for its attentive staff and award-winning dishes like spinach and cheese souffle, seafood lasagnette, and grilled chicken with eggplant and mushroom. It's a popular choice for special occasions and also offers private dining options.
Very nice restaurant. Friendly waitress. Bartender saw us standing behind a crowded bar and he personally walked up to my husband and I and took our order. His drinks were 100% well made and served! Dinner was delicious as well as dessert! We got the meatballs Alfredo, penne sausage for dinner. We tried all the desserts and they were all tasty. The wine selection was excellent and the waitress recommend a wonderful Italian red wine! Highly recommend when visiting Tucson

First time at this restaurant. Greatly enjoyed the food and service. Great outdoor seating. The Vivace Manhattan was excellent. Great flavor and cook on the pasta dishes. The menu offers up some tasty looking options. We will be back to try some other dishes.

Having been to Vivace over a dozen times in the past four months, I haven't had a single poor experience. Each dish I've had (nearly everything on the menu) has been perfectly curated and beautifully presented. Staff, from valet to hostess to servers, are friendly and professional. The bartenders have "top-shelf" personalities to match their skills. The owner, Dan, often personally thanks guests on their way out. Vivace offers an intimate setting with spectacular views, marvelous food, perfect cocktails, and unreal desserts.

One of the finest meals we've had in Tucson ... and that's saying something. From the simple but elegant tables and decorations, to the superb wait staff -- attentive but not bothersome, to the superb food (well, with one teensie weensie exception) ... and the views (both from the Southern 'lower dining room' to the Northern 'upper dining room and patio ... this is a simply wonderful place to eat, to dine, to enjoy each other's company. My wife adored the Veal Piccata. I thought that meatballs and marinera sauce were the VERY BEST in Tucson (although I think I would have preferred the linguine to the penne that I ordered). AND the "Birthday Creme Brulee" was superb. We liked the Birthday Creme Brulee so much we ordered a 'standard' Creme Brulee. Again, it was great (and for only $10.00!!!) but they had not flamed the maple sugar long enough, and so there was some graininess of the unmelted sugar on the bottom of the caramelized topping. This was one, every so slight, blemish, in what was an all-around magnificent dinner. (Sorry, Google will not allow me to upload photos taken with my iPhone.)

Highly recommend to anyone looking for a quality Italian meal in town (there's not a lot of great options in Tucson)

From the outside, it really dors look like an Italian villa. When we walked in, it did as well. It was a quality experience for my cousin and I. We were celebrating my birthday. We are half Italian and appreciate good quality food. This restaurant delivered that and more. The food, the service, and the atmosphere made all the difference in the world. The entrée was delicious, the bread they served was as well, and the desserts were absolutely delicious. We had the crème brûlée and the lemon mousse dessert. If you want a quality experience with the atmosphere of Italy, please visit them.

Tohono Chul is a compact desert habitat featuring various cacti, a demonstration garden, and art displays. It offers engaging walks and activities for school trips, family outings, or friend gatherings. Visitors can join one of four school tours focusing on ethnobotany, desert digs, clever plants, or diverse pollinators. Alternatively, they can explore the gardens through mobile scavenger hunts or interact with docents to learn about nature and culture connections.
My friend invited me to the Tohono Chul plant sale last weekend. We went on Sunday, so they were sold out of some of the most desired cactus and other plants. They still had a nice selection, and the volunteers were very friendly and knowledgeable. The prices were also reasonable. The whole experience was a day I won't forget anytime soon! Thank you, Tohono Chul and volunteers, for making me feel so welcome!

An amazing local park filled with desert flora, and occasional desert fauna as well!! From the towering saguaros to the tiny flowers, there is so much to see at Tohono Chul Park. The metal animal figures throughout the park are eye catching, the winding paths are intriguing and the atmosphere is welcoming. The staff is amazing as well! 10/10 recommend visiting this park if you are in the area.

Chillin' at Chul was great! There was free admission, good food and drinks and live music. It was much cooler in the gardens than down in the city and we had a great time exploring and just chatting on the porch swings. Bring bug spray or wear long sleeves. The mosquitoes bit us a lot.

This is one of the first places I take someone who comes in from out of town to visit. “Chillin at Chul” is a beautiful way to spend a Friday or Saturday evening. The music, people, and environment are always great. Lots of little trails and a whole back garden for kids to explore and play around in. “Guitars Under the Stars” is another great event that’s held in the garden bistro and definitely worth checking out. Great food and service. Indoor and outdoor seating for big and small groups. We’ve also attended the seasonal movie showings that Tohono Chul hosts around the holidays. Very fun. Worth checking out, especially if you have children.

Beautiful gardens with all sorts of tranquil and lovely nooks and places to sit. I visited in late October, and it is wonderful now, but I would love to come back in spring when the cacti are blooming- although I saw my first ever October-blooming cactus here, and there are quite a few other flowers blooming. There are some beautiful sculptures throughout the gardens, and wonderful artwork in the museum.

First time visiting & didn't get to explore the entirety of the property. Entrance grants access to the children's museum as well. Stroller friendly-ish... paths can get a little rough but are wide enough to navigate. Early morning or late afternoon/evening is highly recommended, unless you love the heat. Lots of wildlife: birds, bugs, lizards on the main paths. Plants for sale, art for sale, water & vending machines available as well as on site restaurant. Plenty of seating areas with pretty views and art exhibitions. We were gifted this entrance fee but need to go again and finish exploring everything we didnt get to see!

A beautiful spot for a walk or wedding! Amazing gardens with plenty to explore. I photographed a wedding here in 2025 and it was so nice to have a private area to have the ceremony, cake cutting, and dances.

Beyond Bread is a popular bakery and cafe in Tucson, with three locations offering a variety of delicious baked goods, breakfast items, and hearty sandwiches. Established in 1998, this locally owned establishment has been recognized for its best bread and sandwiches by Tucson Weekly. The menu includes hand-crafted breads, house-made soups, fresh salads, and decadent pastries. Whether you're looking for a quick bite on the go or a leisurely meal, Beyond Bread offers options for every appetite.
Great sandwiches. I had Annie's Addiction, a delicious vegan option. Soft fresh bread with a healthy amount of fresh veggies. I ate there 3 times and had the same thing with a side salad. The side salad is a good mix of greens and additional veggies. There are other vegan options, but I liked this so much, it became my go to. If I lived in the area, I'd try other menu items. They also sell beer and wine. Highly recommend.

I've only ever ordered for delivery here. Today had an issue with a soup I ordered, mainly that I could only see/taste 2 ingredients and that the avocado was missing. Gazpacho and salsa shouldn't taste the same. A waste of time to even call the store - they didn't care and talk to you like you're... 😬 both of you ladies I spoke to. Not even an offer for credit or acknowledgement other than and a half breath sorry out of obligation? Very disappointed and happy to spend my money elsewhere.

I had never eaten at beyond bread before for its food items however plenty of times for their pies cause they are great! I stopped at this one and decided to sit down and eat. Oh goodness was that bread TOUGH. I couldn’t eat my sandwich like a sandwich. At the end of eating as I didn’t want to waste my food my mouth was hurting. I thought maybe it was just mine but it was an overall experience for my friends who I was eating there with. They had different menu items that all were served with different breads and their bread was tough. I wouldn’t want to insinuate but although it didn’t taste stale the bread had that lack of moisture as if left out for more than 1-2 days to harden up. The reason for my rate was that and honestly it tasted very good but that bread being nearly impossible to eat is what did it for me. I love their pies as they’re small, well priced and delicious! This isn’t the end all be all. I still would want to give the food another chance. Like I said very tasty just hard to eat.

LOVE this place. Service is always spectacular AND the food and pastries are fresh and just perfect. Every worker that I’ve interacted with has been such a sweetheart. My favs are: - fruit tart - chicken salad w/ EXTRA dressing - and the Mac and cheese

Only rating the food since this was delivery for us. My bf and I are on a mission to try every sandwich at Beyond Bread. Today we started with one I’ve had multiple times and it never disappoints. I am not a vegetarian but I love veggie based sandwiches. The Bailey’s Beet is one of the best I’ve had. Beautiful, fresh greens, cucumbers, sliced beets, an herby goat cheese spread, balsamic drizzle; all on their delicious house-made focaccia. Today, even though it’s not soup weather in Tucson, we got it with a side of the tomato basil soup (insert chef’s kiss)! If you have a chance, give this a try! Not sure which sandwich we will try next but I’ll be sure to share when we do!

Beyond Bread is an outstanding spot for fresh, flavorful food. The sandwiches and baked goods are always made with quality ingredients and taste amazing. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it a great place to grab a quick bite or sit down and enjoy a meal. The staff provides excellent service—friendly, attentive, and efficient. The restaurant is clean and well-kept, and the location is convenient. Overall, Beyond Bread delivers a consistently great dining experience and is easily one of the best places to eat in the area. Highly recommended!

Local chain in the Tucson/Arizona area, but so worth a stop! The portion sizes are generous, food was delicious, and the staff were so kind!

I've never had a bad meal here, and when I was looking for a place to eat off Campbell in the University area of Tucson I went to BB. I promptly asked for two pretzel loaves sliced, a cinnamon roll, a magic bar (which they forgot to put in my bag) and also ordered a turkey club. This is made with real turkey, not processed. The sandwich is a double decker, simply two big to eat in one sitting. For my side I ordered their tomato basil soup, some of the best I've had.

Nestled within the historic Hotel Congress, Cup Cafe is a trendy American eatery that offers a mix of classic and inventive dishes. The cafe is renowned for its breakfast options, including the popular Boom Boom and Bennie's Burrito. Guests can also enjoy international-inspired lunch and dinner selections. Cup Cafe boasts a build-your-own bloody Mary bar and serves breakfast all day, with a dog-friendly outdoor patio.
Absolutely loved my experience at Cup Cafe! The atmosphere is charming, warm, and inviting, perfect for relaxing and enjoying great company. The desserts were phenomenal—beautifully plated and delicious. I especially recommend trying their cheesecake—it was rich, creamy, and topped generously with nuts and fresh raspberries. The coffee complemented the desserts perfectly. Exceptional service and a wonderful setting made this an unforgettable visit. Highly recommended!

What a gorgeous hotel, lots of cool original items to check out on your visit. The potatoes were delicious and the cubano coffee as well. We saw the community radio booth on our way in "on air" sign and everything and bought tickets for jazz at century room on our way out

This was fantastic. The coffee is the Havana, also perfect. Wasn't too hot to sit outdoors. Great experience. I'd go back if I wasn't just here for work. And yes, I pretty much ate the whole thing...no way to save it, couldn't bear to waste it. 😋

On my way out after breakfast, I caught three employees at the front and I told them “your food is disgustingly….delicious”. I witnessed a nanosecond group panic emerge followed by relieved laughter. I genuinely felt bad for the scare I really gave them. Good thing I don’t say the same thing twice. For real, the care and craftsmanship that went into my Huevos Rancheros with poached egg covered in optional green chilies and jalapeños on top of homemade tortillas cuddled up with crispy papas could not have been improved if Jesus himself was in the kitchen. Maybe he was? Of course, I always have to have dessert with my meal and the half order of orange French toast topped with optional chocolate chips and real maple syrup made my Tuesday morning feel like Friday at 5 PM. Super cool historical location with shaded patio seating and amazing service made this a saved location for every future downtown Tucson visit.

Great place for dinner, but I'd recommend getting a reservation! (Which we did) Food was delicious, and came out quickly. Dad got the pork schnitzel and loved it. I got the burger and fries and had every bite. The fries had the perfect texture!

Last year we had breakfast here and loved the food, so this year we had to come back. The place is quaint, we requested seats inside , it was a bit warm outside. The food was delicious and the service was on point as always. Not a place for super large parties. I' d say parties of 4 to 6 size ok. Pet friendly if you sit outside. Overall, I recommend.

Fabulous breakfast! My family and I visited on Monday morning. I had the Cast Iron Baked Eggs and a shared side of Biscuits and Gravy(Pictured). We all shared some of our plates and everything was excellent. The service was great and the space was clean and comfortable. We had a great time!

A neat spot with seemingly good gluten free options... Went for breakfast and their potatoes are not gluten free! They are fried in a fryer with gluten food so not safe for true gluten free needs. This greatly limited my option to one plate of food the chilaquiles. I like to eat healthy, not chips, and would have liked better options. Meal was good for what it was, wish they could figure out how to make potatoes gluten free, or have a gluten free option for those that need it. The rest of my party does not have dietary restrictions, and enjoyed their meals. Waitress was awful. I had to ask for coffee multiple times, and other drinks. I had to ask other staff for refills as I saw her come by but not even make make eye contact with the table to check on us, even as I held up my empty cup. Coffee cups very small. Heaters available outside for tables if too busy inside that work well.

Located in downtown Tucson, Arizona, HUB Restaurant & Ice Creamery is a trendy spot popular with a young crowd. The restaurant offers a modern twist on comfort food and serves homemade ice cream made just across the street. In addition to its delicious food offerings, the area is also home to several distilleries and breweries for those interested in local spirits and craft brews. Visitors can enjoy dishes like hot wings and cheese curds while savoring delectable ice cream flavors.
I don’t go to The Hub very often but when I do I am reminded why I like this place so much. I came here for my birthday dinner by reservation. Depending on the vibe you are going for this is a pretty classy place. The ambiance is very much on the chill side. The lighting isn’t overwhelming and bright. The view to the outside is beautiful as you can see downtown and the greenery outside. The food was spectacular! Made perfectly and absolutely delicious. Everything was made as ordered and flavorful. This was an overall great visit and place to eat with friends.
Karla — Google review
I visited The Hub Restaurant & Ice Creamery on a quiet Wednesday night (3/5/25), and while the experience had its highs and lows, it was overall a decent outing. Starting with the service—it was good. The staff was attentive and friendly, making sure everything was taken care of. However, the food itself was a bit underwhelming. I tried the Prime Rib Fries, and while the portion was fair, the meat was slightly dry. The cheese sauce, unfortunately, had seized up under the heat lamp, likely due to the slower night. The Buffalo Wings were at least served warmer and had a standard flavor you’d expect at most places offering wings, but nothing particularly stood out. What did stand out was the ambience. The mix of exposed brick and modern design gave the restaurant a stylish yet comfortable feel, making it a great spot to relax in downtown Tucson. Overall, The Hub delivers a nice setting and solid service, but the food could use a little more attention—especially when it’s not busy. I’d be open to giving it another try, maybe on a busier night when everything is fresher.

In my Tucson's top 5. The best pastrami meat Ive ever tasted, everythingelse we ordered was delicious too. Great customer service included.

Went here for dinner since it was close to the hotel I was staying at. I ordered the Calamari to start and I was surprised in a good way. It was a very Asian inspired dish that was very different for this type of restaurant. The tempura was the right amount of crisp. As my main I ordered the seared salmon over risotto. As the salmon was seared, I was expecting it to be a little raw in the center. Still great with the compliment of the cheesey risotto and the hint of cranberries. Very good overall and would go back.

The Hub was the spot. We went in knowing exactly what we wanted based on some social media posts. We chose the Mac n Cheese (with chicken) and the Pot Pie (with Chicken). They DOD NOT disappoint, delicious. Weather was pleasant so we sat outside, inside did look nice and comfortable. The bourbon whiskey selection was insane, reasonably priced pours.

Ordered a non alcoholic drink of blue color and it was so soothing. Took fish and chips. The fish was not fully marinated and cooked. The fries with cheese and herbs were good. The pistachio ice cream was delicious. The ambience is very family oriented and lively. The service is great.

Brunch restaurant
North Italia is a trendy and chic trattoria that offers contemporary twists on classic Italian dishes. The restaurant boasts a stylish urban ambiance with sleek lines, white leather, exposed brick, and dark wood decor, as well as stunning panoramic city views. Their specialty lies in wood-roasted and grilled dishes, infusing a smoky flavor into everything from high-end pizzas to steaks to appetizers like grilled artichoke with lemon aioli.
My wife & I decided to try this place out for our date night. With an 18 month old at home, we don't get many nights out alone. North didn't disappoint. My Vodka Rigatoni was probably the best Italian dish I've ever had and my wife was also very happy with hers. Our waitress Olivia was awesome as well! I'd definitely recommend this place for any occasion of Italian dishes.

North Italia never disappoints. The short rib is incredible—rich, tender, and full of flavor. The shrimp scampi and eggplant appetizers are both delicious and perfectly executed. They also offer an excellent selection of wines to complement the meal. The staff is always attentive and accommodating, especially with gluten-free and other special dietary needs, which is greatly appreciated. The atmosphere is decent, but it can get quite noisy when the place is full—even out on the patio. Despite that, it’s a fantastic dining experience overall. Highly recommend!

From the moment you step in, the ambiance sets the tone—chic yet warm, with thoughtful design touches that elevate the space without feeling pretentious. The service was impeccable from start to finish: attentive, friendly, and genuinely knowledgeable about the menu. To kick things off, I highly recommend the New Italian Spritz. This cocktail is the perfect way to begin your evening, especially in Tucson’s warm climate. It’s crisp, refreshing, and expertly balanced—light enough to whet the appetite while packing just enough flavor to stand out. We started with the White Truffle Garlic Bread, and I can confidently say it’s one of the best appetizers I’ve had in recent memory. Rich, aromatic, and indulgent without being overwhelming, it was the perfect introduction to what would be a consistently excellent meal. Every dish we tried reflected careful preparation and a commitment to quality ingredients. From the starters to the mains, everything was flavorful, well-portioned, and beautifully presented. While it’s hard to single out one highlight, the overall experience was a harmonious blend of flavors, hospitality, and ambiance. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply looking for a standout Italian meal in Tucson, North Italia at La Encantada delivers on all fronts. I’ll absolutely be returning—and next time, I might just order two rounds of that truffle bread.

My daughter and I shared a pizzas that were truly made with love, you could taste the care and intention in every bite. The flavors were delicious, balanced, and filled with an energy that felt like home. Our waiter was wonderful, thoughtfully pairing a Chianti with my pizza and a perfectly matched wine for my daughter’s. Everything was light, flavorful, and absolutely amazing. Honestly, there’s no other place I’d rather indulge in carbs. A truly special experience.

We had a group of 4 & it was great as usual celebrating Ana Maria’s birthday (2 birthdays total). I enjoy getting together with Friends & July is a good time to celebrate, though it’s not my birthday. We all had something good to eat & plenty of laughter to go round about!! I had the Tortelini & my friend had sketti & another one had a big sketti ball & im not sure what the other lady had. And some yummy dessert, I forgot to take a picture of.

Had a great first time here. The service was amazing all around, and everyone was very friendly and knowledgeable! Food was incredible with plenty of options to choose from. Recommend the Heirloom tomatoe and Burrata with some fresh bread; delicious and fresh. Views are incredible and tolerable to sit outside with covered patio.

I wish I could do 1/2 stars, it deserves a 4.5! The food was absolutely phenomenal and delicious. I think the tiramisu is a little disappointing and dry (not enough coffee soakage), but the pasta was to die for and had that fresh flavor and perfect aldente bite. The cacio e pepe arancini was my favorite thing I've eaten this month, sooo tasty! Drinks were great as well. For a Tuesday night I was surprised by how loud and busy it was, so service was kind but a little bit slow at times (I don't mind hanging out during a meal, so no biggie). It's a beautiful space but my one complaint is it was seriously so loud I could barely hear our waiter or my husband sitting across from me. That said, we'll definitely be back to try more of the menu!

Blue Willow Restaurant & Gift Shop is a beloved Tucson establishment that has been serving up delicious, from-scratch dishes since 1978. The restaurant is housed in an old adobe home and features a charming patio that is perfect for enjoying a leisurely meal with friends. The menu offers a variety of health-focused comfort foods, including hearty omelettes and other breakfast favorites. Recently updated, the outside patio space provides a delightful dining experience surrounded by green foliage.
A wonderful friend and I had a superb experience this afternoon for our breakfast/lunch choices. I enjoyed the Tofu Scramble with a side of brown rice and tortillas while my friend had the Two Eggs Any Style dish with a side of fruit. We also had the Hummingbird cake. Our server was Anthony J., he was truly awesome in every way. He was very patient while we decided what to eat/drink, and attentive as well as friendly the entire time. We both also cherished the warm comforting environment and the adorable gift shop as well.

I enjoyed the mixed berry crepe with a side of bacon. The crepe is filled with vanilla yogurt and berries. The bacon was thick and cooked perfectly. It was very tasty. The portion size was good. We had a pleasant lunch. The food was delicious. The service was excellent. One person got angry at me for walking through a waiting area on my way to the restroom. The selection on the menu was excellent. I was able get the exact lunch I wanted. So did my mother. Mother was able to get the exact drink to mark the occasion. Nice food, nice people (except for the stiff arm lady) excellent selection and excellent service. I would highly recommend you try the place. Just be careful of that lady on your way to the bathroom!!

Wow! Had the chicken panini and the chicken and waffles and the three egg omelette. First off they have the best home fries that I've had thus far in Tucson! I had the three egg omelet with home fries. But I tried the chicken panini and the chicken and waffles and about fell out of my chair. Those were amazing. We also got a Nutella French toast to go and it was amazing as well. I highly recommend this place to others that will be returning if for anything the home fries.

Had a great meal at Blue Willow! Tried the huevos rancheros and the breakfast burrito both were delicious and full of flavor. The huevos had just the right balance of spice and texture, and the burrito was hearty without being too heavy. What really stood out was the excellent service our server was friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. Definitely a place worth coming back to when in Tucson!

Feast is a laid-back eatery offering a diverse, market-driven menu that changes on a monthly basis. The restaurant prides itself on its extensive wine selection and the ever-evolving eclectic cuisine. One of their iconic dishes, the grilled cheese sandwich with seared halloumi cheese, honey-roasted eggplant, shaved red onion, and roasted tomato has become a favorite among regular guests.
I took my mom to eat lunch. We were greeted with a smile, and we chose a place to sit of our choice. The atmosphere was peaceful, and the place was clean. My mom had the white salad with shrimp & I had the steak sandwich with some greens. Both dishes was PERFECT! We also ordered a steak sandwich to go. We are not Rich by any means. However, my mom is unable to get out much and being able to spend time with her and eat this meal with her in such an awesome place with awesome service means everything to me. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Fantastic food! We tried two different appetizers (kohlrabi and squash blossoms) and both were great. For the main dishes, wr had the Chicken plate and their special which was shrimp and scallops in garlic wine sauce over couscous- delish! Dessert was lemon ice cream (🤤) and chocolate lemon cake. I can't wait to go back and try some other dishes. My only complaint is that it is a tad pricey, but that won't stop me from coming back again.

I had never been to Feast before despite driving by many times. A close friend chose Feast for her birthday dinner. It seems clear that Feast is trying to offer a fine dining experience. Indeed the atmosphere and service all fit that rubric. However the food was simply not worthy of the prices in my opinion. The one stand out was the lobster bread pudding which was excellent. The other main meals were simply average. The duck with pancake was bizarre tasting, the salmon with noodles quite boring and ahi tuna with rice was just plain. I had an enjoyable evening due to great company and good servers. However I left feeling the meal was a poor value considering the relatively high prices and relatively lack of deliciousness.

Prep & Pastry, a charming bakery and eatery established in 2013, offers a delightful selection of New American cuisine. With a focus on using fresh ingredients from local suppliers, the culinary team creates an array of delectable dishes for breakfast and lunch. From sweet treats like carrot cake French toast to savory options such as biscuits and gravy, the menu caters to diverse tastes.
My family had a great experience here. There are different menu items that range from just the simple eggs, bacon and toast breakfast to poutine or green chili French toast. I guess a little something for everyone to try. The pastries were delicious. We split several items and all of them were good. The cinnamon roll was fluffy with a good and not too sweet frosting. The raspberry donut with chocolate frosting was very tasty as was the cookie dough croissant donut. Our food was all fresh and the staff was very good as well.

I been meaning to try this place for a while now. When I heard they opened a location in Scottsdale and the line was 2 hrs long; I said that’s it, I have to try it. It is perfect for a brunch date. Good luck deciding on what to get! The menu is so extensively creative you will have to come back and try the 3 other options that had you torn. I always try for a sweet and savory and the monte cristo French toast sandwich was the best combo without greedily wanting to order two entrees.
Faye — Google review
I wish I would have noticed the pastries on the way in. I saw them leaving, and several of them looked delicious. I think most of the menu was probably honestly just too gourmet for my personal preferences, which isn't a bad thing. There are definitely some unique dishes available if you're looking for a nice brunch, and everything has a little bit of a unique twist (apple juice had a hint of lemon and honey, iced tea had a hint of blueberry, etc.). I got the Simple Breakfast with a chorizo patty. The chorizo patty was good. Everything else was fine but severely lacking seasoning. I usually take any leftovers with me, but I didn't get a box because there was honestly nothing that I wanted to eat more of later. Nothing was bad or cooked poorly, it was just mostly flavorless, and condiments can only do so much. The service was good, not great. The restaurant itself is cute and cozy. What I tried wasn't my preference, but I think this would be a nice place for brunch and mimosas if you're looking for a cute gourmet place, and I wouldn't mind returning to try some of the pastries!

SOOOO BOMB. Very reasonably priced for this style of restaurant and quality of food. everything was delicious and our server was super nice and attentive as well. There were a couple sneaky upcharges ($5 for two slices of bacon) but that happens everywhere so just be aware when your server suggests an add on

I ordered the Kale Caesar Salad, which on the menu is described as coming with shaved parmesan, chili flake, charred lemon, bread crumbs, and Caesar dressing. I also added grilled chicken and avocado for an extra fee. What I received was extremely disappointing to say the least. My order was just a bunch of dry kale with no dressing, a few pieces of grilled chicken, and a plain, uncharred lemon wedge. There were no chili flakes, no shaved parmesan, and no breadcrumbs in sight. The salad was bland, dry, and missing almost everything that was promised. Honestly, this was one of the worst salads I’ve ever received from a restaurant. Maybe I’ll give them another chance in the future and try a different menu item, perhaps the Cobb salad, but I would not recommend their Kale Caesar Salad as it’s currently prepared. Looks nothing like advertised in the photos and socials.

Hidden gem! Absolutely delicious and a really cool setting! Shared a bunch of small plates, they were all beautifully plated and packed with so much fresh flavor! I was really excited about the patatas bravas because that was one of my favorite dishes in Barcelona, and I don't think I have seen it on a menu in the States until tonight. It was really good, but I enjoyed the carrots, red pepper relleno, beets, and brussels sprouts even more. I'll be back to try everything else!

We made a reservation for our party of 7. The food took quite awhile to come out - maybe an hour? 45 minutes? Our server was great, but kitchen seemed backed up. Everything else was a good experience. I loved my Birria Dip sandwich. Loved the patio atmosphere. And live music!

Jojo's is a delightful restaurant near the Tucson downtown that offers one of the best patio spaces in the city. On the weekends they have live music on the patio, which having visited three times, each with a different performer, they do a great job of inviting in unique, local talents. The patio fills out a courtyard space, circling around a fountain. The staff are consistently friendly and the space is relaxed with a menu full of comfort foods, which are well prepared and nicely portioned. Having visited solo, on a date, and with a group of friends, it is a nice option regardless of size of party and the food dishes are shareable across brunch and dinner.

A true hidden gem that checks all the boxes—and more! From the delicious food and magical ambience to the outstanding customer service, every detail sparkles. The live music adds an enchanting touch, and last but certainly not least, there’s Jo—graciously strolling the courtyard with genuine warmth and joy, making every guest feel welcomed and special.🤍🧚

JoJo’s turned out to be a hidden gem that far exceeded our expectations. We arrived with no idea what to expect—just the buzz of glowing reviews—and were instantly captivated. The ambiance felt like stepping into a tucked-away village, complete with live music, warm lighting, and a welcoming vibe that set the tone for the evening. The service was exceptional, and both the food and drinks were thoughtfully crafted and full of flavor. It’s the kind of place that leaves a lasting impression. Highly recommended, and I’m already looking forward to going back.

During our recent trip out of town, we decided to stop by JoJo's Restaurant for a drink before our dinner reservations down the street, and I must say, I was pleasantly surprised by the lovely atmosphere. The selection of beer was impressive, and after grabbing a couple of drinks, we headed out to the courtyard. The self-serve setup was unique, and while there were no servers to be found (but a very friendly greeter and bar tender), it created a relaxed vibe. The courtyard itself was enchanting, adorned with beautiful greenery, twinkling lights, and a stage. We were a bit disappointed to have just missed the live music, as it would have been the perfect place to sit and listen to some music. We also took some time to explore the game area, where we enjoyed a fun game of ping-pong. This place would be perfect for families with self-sufficient kids, but it was equally fabulous for our date night. Overall, JoJo's offers a delightful blend of atmosphere, fun, and great drinks—definitely worth a visit!

The courtyard, ambiance, & live music on a Friday night is one of the best in Tucson. I can easily say this having lived here 22 years. The tacos were excellent, drinks were tasty, and both were reasonably priced. But I'm leaving this review because I called ahead asking about reservations and Eli told me there was still plenty of seats available but he would find me good table. I was looking for Eli & Jo tracked me down, knew he I was, and sat me at a nice table. That's service and this now one of my new spots.

This is my second time dining at this wonderful restaurant. We visited on a Tuesday night and had the pleasure of enjoying live music. The outdoor space allowed us to hear the music but did not interrupt our conversation. We ate buffalo wings, taco’s and split a burger and fries. Everything was hot and delicious. Our drinks were cold and we loved the hibiscus margarita which is a must try!! This is a great place for families too. It is a relaxed, casual atmosphere. The owner, Jo, was there and made sure we were happy and enjoying the food. We will be back to this neighborhood gem!

Tucked away in Tucson, the Eclectic Cafe is a beloved establishment that has been delighting diners for years with its unique fusion of seasonal Mexican and international cuisine. This charming spot caters to a variety of dietary preferences, including gluten-free and vegetarian options, making it an ideal destination for everyone. The menu features delightful dishes such as avocado toast and strawberry salad, highlighting fresh ingredients that burst with flavor.
Hidden gem on Tanque Verde and Sabino Canyon . NW corner in shopping center. Food is fantastic... huge variety and haven't had a bad meal yet. I'm a sucker for house salad with 2 scoops of chicken salad... not for the small appetite. Large portions. Tortilla soup plus chicken. Is the bomb. Flavor on flavor. Chips salsa guacamole is outstanding... fresh sandwiches, soups, also serves alcohol with quite an extensive list. Definitely a must try and you will thank me later. As far as service each one of them are amazing. This time we got Hunter, so professional and such a sweet heart. Never did we have to ask for anything. Ask for her when you come... Tough to spell but we'll worth it...

This is an excellent place for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Owner Jason and manager Sherry serve up fantastic food, fast and friendly. The menu is extensive. Loved my Huevos Rancheros and my wife’s burrito was amazing. Solid Bloody Mary and many beer options. Our server (Justin) was great. I also love how they support local non profits like SAAS. (Southern Arizona Against Slavery). Love the casual vibe and great food overall. VictorB

My second favorite restaurant in Tucson! Consistently good food, very different from anything found in chain restaurants. I’ve had at least 6 different salads, and they also have good sandwiches and Mexican food. Today it was a chicken and artichoke salad, chicken tortilla soup (hold the tortilla), and iced tea. My friend had her favorite, a Reuben. Good, friendly service, too. Recommended! (Photo is a different salad from a previous visit.)

My boyfriend brought me here this afternoon 1ish pm . I didn’t eat but he did (stomach issues). The food was decent but the workers and warm welcoming is what made me want to leave this review. The two young guys in black that kept checking in on us and smiled the entire time, really made it worth it. I’ll definitely be coming back when I can eat!

Actually, the only reason I came here is because my daughter is a vegan. With most vegan places, I don't expect much. But the food and service here is absolutely top notch. I will definitely go back before the end of my trip.

Restaurant
Bobo's Restaurant in Tucson is a cozy and compact diner that serves up hearty comfort food, particularly known for its breakfast offerings. The menu features traditional and well-executed dishes such as corned beef hash, polish sausages, buttermilk pancake stacks, chicken livers, omelets, homemade sauerkraut, and crispy maple bacon with organic eggs.
This is a restaurant I'd say most people would drive past without even thinking to go in. Oh, how wrong you are. This place has that small town diner vibe, friendly staff, and most importantly, amazing food. There's tables or a counter to sit at. All the food is prepared in an open kitchen right in front of you. I went with an apple pancake and the biscuits and gravy. Both were top notch. The pancakes are huge! You'll probably not need more than one of them and you'll be full. The staff are friendly and attentive. I'm making this one of my restaurants to come back to Everytime I'm in Tucson.

Really nice, down to earth, authentic neighborhood restaurant. Had a really nice breakfast sandwich, totally pampered by the staff. If you enjoy quality, refreshing genuine people, fresh, this is your stop!
Gustav E — Google review
I don’t even know where to begin. Bobos was everything I want in a breakfast joint, and then some. The food? Incredible. Like, slap-your-mama good. Every bite felt like someone’s abuelita was back there throwing down in the kitchen with love and a little bit of magic. Pancakes the size of a hubcap, bacon cooked just right, eggs that actually tasted like eggs and not the rubbery sadness you get at chains. It was all just right. The service? Top-tier. These folks hustle, but they still make you feel like you’re the only person in the place. They’re friendly without being fake, fast without rushing you, and they know their stuff. It felt like I was at a friend’s house, if my friend happened to be a five-star chef and ran a restaurant. And the atmosphere? It's got that old-school charm. You walk in and instantly feel at home. Nothing pretentious, just solid vibes and the comforting clatter of a kitchen that’s always busy because they’re that good. No joke, I wish I lived here. If I did, I would never eat breakfast at home again. Why would I? Bobos is the real deal. If you’re in Tucson and you skip this place, you’re doing breakfast all wrong.
Joey D — Google review
First time dining in this restaurant and I must say the food was delicious! I ordered apple pancakes with bacon and eggs. My husband order the BOBO special which was an omlete with potatoes and toast. The pancakes didn't need extra syrup and the potatoes were nicely seasoned. I reduced my review by one star because we were charged $2 to add cheese to the omelet. I questioned the charge, the waitress seemed agitated by the question and then just walked off. $2 for a sprinkle of cheese on an omelet is excessive. Had we known that when the waitress asked if we wanted cheese, we would have declined. Other than those issues, the food was good.
DC L — Google review
How did I not know about this place. It’s pretty authentic when it comes to neighborhood cafe. The interior is actually perfect when you just sit back and enjoy the excellent food and authenticity of the place. I’ve grown tired of restaurants that charge you $70-80 for two and you get mediocre food at best. Bobo’s has a great menu full of comfort food you grew up with. Our meal was only $21 for two people. I will definitely return. I love this place!

Delicious, simple food all around. The Huevos Rancheros were absolutely perfect and the pancake was big and beautiful. Plus my coffee cup never even had the chance to get empty because service was so phenomenal. Is there a wait? Yeah, duh because its that good!
Raeanna F — Google review
My husband and I stopped in for breakfast after an appointment we had. We had never eaten there before but it heard some good things from people. The service was good and our server was so friendly and nice. As for the food, we both thought it was sort of okay, nothing to rave about or even come back for a second visit. My veggie omelette was basically a mushroom omelette with a couple specks of tomato, onion, bell pepper and the spinach was completely missing. The salsa was canned tomato, onion and peppers with some sliced jalapenos added to it which they then served hot. Not good at all. My husband had an omelette that included sausage gravy which he had on the side. It was basically flavorless with no sausage taste or crumbles at all. I had expected a good diner experience and it didn't meet that.

Ghini's French Caffe, located in a strip mall near Phoenix, AZ, is a charming and popular spot offering French-inspired breakfast and lunch options. The restaurant has been serving its loyal customers for over 27 years with dishes like Croque Madame variations, Breakfast Burgers, and Grilled Breakfast Sandwiches available all day. The warm and inviting atmosphere makes it an ideal place for a romantic breakfast or leisurely meal.
Ghini’s is the best of Tucson! The service is always great and the food superb. It is such a welcoming and appealing little cafe. The only downsides are that it is often so very busy there’s a wait and that one must order from the attached bakery separately in order to enjoy a pastry in the restaurant, however these idiosyncrasies only add to the charm of this amazing place. If concerned about the price; order a western omelette and share it, there’s enough for two. For fuller appetites, follow it up with an order of crepes for dessert and you will be full til dinner.

Fantastic blend of food! Ended up getting the omelette Italiano which was both unique and delicious. Staff was friendly, service was swift, and it was nice to see pet friendly seating so I know I can bring my dogs if I’m back in the area. Only downside was the pricing which had me feeling like I was living on O’ahu again.

The moment I stepped into Ghini's French Caffe, I felt like I’d left Tucson behind and wandered into a cozy corner of Paris where time slows down. I know that environments can deeply shape our emotions, and here, everything is designed to embrace you: antique objects whispering stories, tables inviting closeness, and soft French music that makes you feel just steps from the Eiffel Tower. We came for a family breakfast, and the experience was Great. I ordered a coffee—pleasant and comforting—but the true healing came in the form of the Eggs Provençal. Now I understand why it’s their signature dish: every bite felt like a love letter to French cooking. My wife ordered the Classic Ham Croque, and without a single crumb left behind. In a world that rarely pauses, this place is a delicious stop worth making. A Tucson gem that feeds both body and soul.

I went for a catered group event, so I'm sure this is a little different than going for a regular meal. The atmosphere is nice, and I think it would be really fun to attend on the nights they have music. The private room we used was very nice and easily accommodated us (I think about 70 people). Because it was buffet style, I had very little interaction with the servers other than trying to get the plates cleared. The meats I tried (brisket and smoked chicken) were good, the mac and cheese was excellent, and the cornbread was very good. I'm not sure if collard greens are something on their regular menu, but they definitely left something to be desired (flavor and texture) and seemed like they were most likely straight out of a can. There were two plastic bottles of BBQ sauce at each table. The signature BBQ sauce was meh, not bad but not anything I'd ever guess was a "signature" sauce. No one at my table cared for the Kansas sweet one. There was 1 bottle of hot sauce on the buffet for the entire room. The lemonade was fine, tasted like any generic fountain or powdered lemonade. I think ice in the glasses would have been nice. The beignets were good, and I enjoyed the bourbon chocolate sauce with them. Bottom line: Overall, it was pretty good. If you're coming for a tasty dinner or a fun night out when there's music, I think this would be a good choice. If you're looking for a private dining area for a catered event, I think this would be a good choice. If you're from anywhere other than Tucson and craving barbeque, this is probably not going to be one of your top options.

Arrived on a Friday evening with a 20+ sized group, and we couldn't sit inside because the tables were reserved. The place remained empty until we left, unfortunately. There are no fans or misters in their patio, hard to believe in this heat. If it wasn't for their food, they would have received no stars. Their food was absolutely redeeming and delicious. The service left little to be desired, it was hot out and we did not get refills on our water. Would not bring a group back again on a Friday evening, not until they invest in the patio. However I would come back for their food.
Patrick D — Google review
Ordered the Fluffy for our party of 4. There was plenty of food for everyone plus extra. Had a nice mixed drink with St. Germaine which I really love. The beignets were a really nice touch at the end of our meal. The wings were superb, loved the Elotes corn dish (I would have added more cojita) and the brisket nachos were ok, not down with that canned cheese though. We were all avid smokers at the table so its hard to go out and expect the same caliber and quality but overall the ribs were great, brisket had a nice flavor though no evident smokering, the links were interesting as we tried the alligator and hot links. The alligator was a little dry and lacking flavor but that's to be expected due to the fat content. Sides were as expected, potato salad, burnt end beans and cornbread. I would have used buttermilk and sugar in that cornbread, as one of my top favorites I would have eaten it all first thing but it didn't get me like that. I'd go back, this was my second visit, the first was many years ago. At the end of the evening a band was setting up and they wanted a $12 cover per person 🤣 Glad we have a good place to go for BBQ thanks for working so hard!

I’ve eaten here before and had a wonderful experience — the food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Unfortunately, my most recent visit was the complete opposite. I placed a pickup order tonight and what I received was very disappointing. The food looked thrown together, sloppy, and nothing like what was described on the menu. The roasted corn was drenched in butter and tasted like canned corn, the steak was literally thrown on the plate, the Mac n cheese was uncooked and all of it was cold!! The taste was just as bad — it was unappetizing and not at all the quality I expected based on my previous experience- not to mention paying $80 for this catastrophe?!? Shame on the cook!!!!! It’s really frustrating to go from an amazing first visit to such a poor second one. I truly hope this was just an off night, because I know theyve done much better. I expected much better!! What a disappointment!
Nicole S — Google review
Had drinks and House-Made Deviled Eggs appetizer. Very good. Dinner was Brisket(Great), Babyback ribs(average), Game sausage was deer(good). Sides were Drop Biscuits (good), Burnt End Pit Beans(really liked), Vinegar-Based Cole Slaw(not good), Signature MacnCheese(not worth it). Smoked Brisket "Elote" (was Great l, best side) had to try a desert. Got the Brojo's Bourbon Beignets with chocolate sauce, were great but choclate sauce is a bust. Live music is a great add to the atmosphere.
Craig D — Google review
First time visiting this establishment. It was a great experience, no wait seating at the bar, plenty of tables and also an outside seating area. Live music was playing Sunday afternoon and it was very enjoyable. Adequate number of big screens with the Games on. Foodwise it was better than I expected. The usual suspects at a BBQ place but you have to come and have a taste, it is sooo good. Good assortment of beers including nonalcoholic beer, not to mention bourbon a whole wall of them come take a look, you will be pleased.
Antonio M — Google review
Awesome barbeque place and huge selection of beers, bourbon, whiskey and more. The bar space is seriously large, the whole wall is covered in bottles and countless beer tabs, a dream come true for anyone enjoying a drink. The table luckily has a card with a QR-Code so the whole menu is visible, there are over 200 different bourbons on there. Just bourbon, and then there's whiskey, scotch, beers, cocktails. The food was great, the brisket was by far the best, the pork ribs had a delicious rub, but were just a bit dry, still delicious though! All the sides were delicious too, especially the biscuits are amazing. They also have a concert stage and pool table, darts and a big outside area. Great barbeque place!

Delicious! I haven't been here in several years. The area has been overtaken by hipsters, so I was honestly a little worried that the authenticity or serving sizes or prices may have been affected. It was very busy, but the line moved quickly. The food was fresh and delicious, and serving sizes were generous. We had a mix of vegetarians and omnivores in our group, and everyone loved their meal.

I wanted to like this place as a lot locals came in here for breakfast. It has won awards in the past. I ordered the house speciality breakfast burrito. It was just ok fairly bland even with the salsa. The horchata was solid. Also there was a fly problem. When I asked about it I was told it's pretty rare. Also seems many of the chairs are damaged at the exact same spot. I didn't want to get pinched by sitting down. Also unpaved free parking lot in the back.

Good food, good portions, lovely atmosphere, and don't mind the pigeons, they're friendly and don't bother you. Tried the chicken tinga tacos, the corn tortillas could have been a bit more toasted but overall tasted good! Cherry on top, the chips and salsa (included with our dine in)

We left full, but the taste left a lot to be desired. The Uncle Ronnie wasn't bad, but if I were to order it again, I'd opt for the home fries over the hasbrowns. The Copper Queen Skillet had way too much gravy. The online ordering image for this shows a small area covered with gravy. Had I looked at the images provided by other reviewers, I likely would've requested to go easy on the gravy. The pancakes are what really bummed me out. These were the blandest buttermilk pancakes I've had in a while. Had the waitress asked how the food was I would've let her know, but that did not happen. We only got asked once way later in the meal if we wanted a coffee refill and this was before 7am when it was still slow.

Three of my sorority sisters and l went here for brunch after they kindly witnessed my Last Will and Testament for notarization. They went out of their way to help me, meeting me at my bank - one Soror even driving from Phoenix to Tucson to help with this task - which is what our sisters "do" for one another in our sisterhood. We entered, put our name on the waiting list, and sat in the interior waiting area, enjoying our time with each other, patiently awaiting our turn to be seated at a table. After about 10 minutes (and mist orhers in the waiting area having been already seated), we proactively double-checked on our wait list position and were told the 'next 4-top table would be' ours... and sat back down to wait a few more minutes for that table's availability. Then, a pair of couples entered the restaurant together, walked up to the hostess and, to our astonishment, she seated them IMMEDIATELY! I followed the hostess, behind the 2 couples back to the table as she seated these 2 couples and politely pointed out to her that our group was on the wait list and had been waiting for this/our table for at least 15 minutes...and that we were told on our proactive followup to our awaited table that we would have the 'next available table', which she was now seating these two couples at who had just walked in. I asked to speak to the manager. Here's where bad turned to worse: We were told by the hostess that the wait list was cleared of any persons waiting because the last hostess did not update the waiting list (an in-house problem); and then, the manager indicated that there had been a shift change and that's 'why' we fell thru the cracks (again, an in house issue) and further stated that WE should have checked on our position on the wait list (which we pointed out that we had actually done, although, no one at Bisbee Breakfast Club ever mentioned that it was the guests' responsibility to monitor the restaurant's or hostesses' workflow). Ultimately, we were gaslighted that internal business operations and flaws, over which we had absolutely no control, was somehow OUR FAULT for THEIR SCREWUP of timely providing us a table! Finally (as a last resort effort), as we were being seated, we received a placating half-hearted apology, which actually added insult to injury because that was NOT the first line of approach at salvaging a sub-par guest experience (as it should have been). It's hard to make a come-back from a negative situation like this! Strictly in the"for what it's worth" category: We [our group] are all older women: one Anglo/First Peoples [me] and three African American ladies [my sorority sisters]. This scenario smacked of deliberate racial discrimination (by women old enough to have seen what happened in this county before the Civil Rights Movement). On principal, I, for one, will NEVER patronize this establishment again at ANY location (although this transpired at Ina Road).

Good fast service. I ordered a scramble with home fries and toast. Delicious! If I could give one piece of criticism, I felt the potatoes might have been just on the side of being undercooked. Really fun diner especially for Halloween. Decorations are creative and the kids enjoyed all the spooky things to see. Breakfast was great and flavors were unique. Must try in Tucson!

Le Buzz is a trendy cafe with a European atmosphere that serves a variety of espresso drinks, breakfast items, sandwiches, and pastries. Despite being busy, the service is efficient and friendly. The daily specials are delicious and served promptly. The cafe offers both indoor and outdoor seating as well as ample parking. Guests appreciate the homemade taste of the food with a touch of European influence. It's also noted for its cozy ambiance and attentive staff who provide exceptional service to make patrons feel at home.
We have been going to Le Buzz for years , it's always good , delicious food, today we enjoyed ,the American in Paris and 2,2 2 for breakfast. The service is very personal ,the staff is patient while everyone is ordering from front area. Le Buzz is very busy and can be loud inside, there are tables outside as well to enjoy the views of dogs, people watching too.

This is a solid small shop for breakfast and lunch. Many many options and daily specials. In the morning it is a bicycle lovers paradise as people prep or recover from their Catalina Highway and/or Mt Lemon trek! Everyone raves about the food and my wife loved her Cuban sandwich, but I had it as well and felt like the mustard taste sort of overpowered the taste of the meat. I’ll try something different next time as there were plenty of other options. VictorB

This is a great place for a fresh & wonderful meal, along with lots of pastries & desserts to top you off, if you have room. The portion sizes are perfect so you will not leave hungry! Service is very good but it can get confusing & a little chaotic, simply because it is so busy, all the time! If you plan on eating in or on the patio, have someone in your party get a table while you order, otherwise you're at the mercy of those who are finished with their meal(s) & will give up the table. I was just there for my birthday & had to wait for a table for about 10 minutes & when you went to sit down another lady literally jumped in front of us & sat down. So, after another 10 minutes, my friend & I were able to get a table. As soon as I sat down the sun was on my back, so I moved to the end of the table and by the time we had finished eating I had moved 3 times to escape the sun. My meal was great but I was seriously uncomfortable. Then, about the time we were leaving, the misters came on. I really wish they had a better plan for seating & they really need to make better shade for the tables that need it! I recommend you know what you want before you go and save a table for your best experience!

🌟🌟🌟🌟🍳 Had a delightful breakfast experience at Le Buzz with my lovely mother! The variety of breakfast options was impressive, and everything we tried was delicious! From traditional breakfast options to savory delights, they've got it all covered. ☕ And let's not forget about their coffee – a true gem! The staff were incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home. 👌 Plus, the location couldn't be more perfect! Definitely a must-visit spot for breakfast lovers in the area! 🥞🥓🍳

Yummy! The food was worth the wait! The service is great, lots of help and everyone kept busy, I liked that the cook in the back came out to see what pastries were running low so he could restock. I got some scones to take home and they were a big hit. Not dried out and full of flavors. I loved the green chile in the cauliflower rice and the chai butter was so good! I could have ate the butter by itself, don’t worry, I didn’t. LOL. All the pastries look great and appetizing. The line moves fast and the table turn over is good. They have a mister on the front patio and it was pet and children friendly.

Nice place, back off sawn so you might not know it's there. Lots of parking.n you are first met inside with the large bakery display. Lots of choices there. They offer several varieties and sizes of coffee. Plenty of seating inside and out. Pretty sure they do not have table service, they call out your name and you pick it up.

Gourmet Girls Gluten Free Bakery/Bistro is a vibrant and colorful cafe and bakery in Tucson, Arizona. Founded by Mary Steiger and Susan Fulton, it's known as the city's original 100% gluten-free dedicated bakery and bistro. The establishment offers a diverse menu featuring breakfast, brunch, lunch, savory dishes like egg sandwiches, pasta, pizza as well as an ever-changing selection of beautifully decorated gourmet cakes, cupcakes, cookies and more.
Amazing gluten free restaurant! Their baked goods and food are really good! I tried their prickly pear cupcake and it was really good. The prickly pear filling was to die for. Some of the cookies I bought were a little dry but they were Christmas cookies that were on a shelf so it was to be expected. I got the patty melt which was on a Parmesan bread. Super flavorful. I also got onion rings and the breading was really good. They also don’t use a lot of salt in their food so if you are sensitive to sodium this would be a great option for you. I am not even allergic to gluten but I tried this place out to get some cookies for a relative and decided to eat in the restaurant when I realized it wasn’t just a bakery. Definitely give this place a try even if you aren’t sensitive to gluten!!

I love bakeries, and this happened to be next to another place we were visiting. Decided to go in and grab a few things for the road back to Murrieta, CA. Grabbed the peanut butter and Ginger Snap cookies and was convinced to grab the last cinnamon roll. So I glad I did, it was just as amazing as the girl behind the counter said it would be. The cookies were great as well. A little pricey for me but well worth it if you can't have gluten and still want to have sweet treats. I do regret not getting a cupcake and trying the loaves they have. Will be back when I'm in Tucson visiting family. Highly recommend, please try them! Customer service was great as well. The girl behind the counter was very sweet.

Super friendly staff and really awesome gluten free food options. Came in around 9am today on 06/23/25 and got two breakfast sandwich’s and the chicken tender appetizer. First time I’ve eaten out since I developed a severe gluten allergy over a year ago. That breakfast sandwich and those chicken tenders are a must try! :) loved the BBQ sauce.

%100000000 recommend!! This is the BEST dedicated gluten free restaurant in Tucson!!! The staff is super friendly and the food is spectacular!!!!!! My friend and I went this Thursday and started with the spinach and artichoke dip. It was spectacular. The pita bread was savory and cheesy by itself. And was really nice with the dip. My friend ordered the chicken bacon ranch salad and she said it was a really nice balance of toppings to lettuce, light and filling. I couldn't decide, as a celiac I never find gluten free chicken fried steak so I had to order that. It was the right choice, crispy and crunchy and full of flavor. How could I say no to a lemon poppyseed waffle. It was delicious delectable goodness. The only sad part is I live over an hour away. I wish I lived closer I would be here everyday!!!! This spot is perfect for brunch with your friends or a solo working breakfast trip!!!

Okay drumroll: we ordered 1. A Reuben with onion rings 2. A pizza 3. Loaded ranch bacon fries. ALL AMAZING!!!! We even came back a second day for a crunchy chicken parm with pesto sandwich and cinnamon rolls + lemon pound cake to go. I have been gluten free for 15 years and this was hands down the best gluten free meal with gluten free bread that I have ever enjoyed. “Rye” bread for the sandwich was unbelievable. I hope more folks find this perfect spot because I hope to return when I’m back in town!
Kate B — Google review
Appreciate the fact they have gluten free baked goods and food, however the flavor was lackluster. The pancake had a wonderful appearance but the taste wasn’t even close to a pancake made with wheat flour. Same with the vegan gluten free cupcake. It looked amazing but the taste was meh. Scrambled eggs were good because they were drenched in something: butter, oil? The cashier who helped me was lovely, helpful and friendly but didn’t appreciate the male cook coming out of the kitchen to stare at me for several minutes because I wore a medical mask. Why? Because I’m immunosuppressed thanks to a brain tumor. This behavior by the cook was completely unacceptable and vile. Shame on them for treating a dying customer that way. This cafe isn’t in the heart of Tucson but rather further out. They seem to have a loyal following and my review won’t matter but I hope they make a point of treating medically ill customers will respect in the future. You never know what someone is dealing with.

What a unique place and experience. From the waitress making me laugh the moment I walked in to the amazing and unique food options. You are a hidden gem for Tucson. I made the mistake of just getting a chicken salad sammich when the others got bacon pumpkin seed waffles and your special monte Christo. Not that it was bad but it wasn’t anything special. I knew better. When in Rome, buy the crazy Roman options. ;) My friends were blown away with this options. I was blown away at how you cater to those that need special foods. Clearly you know what you’re doing and your breakfast and baking options are brilliant. Keep up the amazing work and push your breakfast menu. That’s where it’s at. Look forward to coming back and being smarter about going for what you specialize in. I don’t know her name but the waitress this past Tuesday at 9am is an amazing human and you’re blessed to have her.

The establishment serves up delicious pizza, subs, espresso drinks, and beer on tap. In addition to its food offerings, Time Market takes pride in curating its wine selection with the help of Sommelier Arielle DeSoucey. The place also boasts an impressive coffee menu featuring various blends and specialty drinks like mochas and lattes.
The staff was all friendly and pleasant. The pizza slices are pretty big. We tried pep and the daily special. They were good, but the crust was a little too thin and not enough crunch for my taste. I bought some cookies too and my wife loved them.

I’m visiting Tucson for a week, and I’ve already gone to this place for lunch twice and I’m planning to go back again today. Highly recommend! I’ve only had sandwiches, but everything they sell here (cookies, pastries, pizza, salad, etc) looks so good. They have a good selection of beers, wines, and other grocery items as well. If you want a local, communal space to eat and chill when visiting Tucson, this is the place!

I highly recommend coming here and trying the Margherita pizza and molasses cookies (no photo lol)! So delicious! This place does not disappoint. It does get crowded and loud. Minimal table seating inside but they do have patio seating. If going with others, I recommend getting a table first, then getting in line to place your order. Coffee bar is a great touch and smell to the space. Enjoy!

The atmosphere is so cute with it being a cafe plus a grocery store. Great place to get some work done with good, fresh food. Highly recommend the matcha latte with honey and the breakfast sandwich. I also got the chocolate croissant which I found to be kind of hard.

Loved this gem! Pizza was fire, loved the aesthetic, how things flowed in the space, and the variety of all that they offered for food and drink. Stopped here for lunch before as well as dinner with a friend. Loved the size of pizza, that they tables weren't off balance, and that it was a space that has great energy.

Awesome experience eating dinner here. It was recommended by a local. Love the concept of the small specialty groceries around the perimeter and the restaurant up front and on the side with more seating in the center of the eclectic space. Wished they had Coke Zero, but I get it-they’re known for their specialty beers on tap and wines. If you need a ton of Kombucha options-this is the place! I ordered the chicken and tamal plate and it was amazing. Wish I would have gotten a pic. Highly recommended!!

Tito and Pep is a lively Southwestern bistro located in Tucson, offering a unique blend of traditional cuisine with an innovative twist. The restaurant prides itself on exceptional service and embraces the spirit of the region, serving mesquite-fired dishes that capture the essence of the Southwest. Chef and Owner John Martinez draws inspiration from the multicultural history of the area to create vibrant and delicious dishes. Our first time at Tito and Pep, May 24, 2025. Made reservations for 5:30. Reservations are highly recommended. Open dining room concept with a plethora of living plants and windows!!The service is fantastic! The is food absolutely delicious from the yellow tail appetizer to the stripped bass to the steak to the rosemary, olive oil and orange cake!! We WILL be returning and with family! And a great place to bring out of town guests. This definitely reflects Tucson and its culinary “Old Pueblo” flare!!

I can definitely see why you need reservations for this place! Even at 5pm when it opens, it’s already moderately busy. Prices are reasonable. Drinks are fantastic. Loved the summer spritzer. It’s so refreshing and light. The appetizers were great. The cheese fondue with mushroom is so good and so flavorful! The radicchio salad has the perfect dressing and texture. The shredded snow peas add so much freshness and flavor, I love it! Steak skewers would probably taste better medium rare but it is still very good. The entree pollo asado and pork chops were phenomenal. The meat was lean and the sauces were very well made. The decor is cute and service was amazing. Will come back again.

I came here with a craving for olive oil cake — and let me tell you, this place exceeded all expectations from start to finish. The entire meal was outstanding. From the vibrant cocktails and fresh, herb-loaded salad to perfectly grilled fish, juicy chicken, and flavorful beef skewers, every dish was thoughtfully prepared and beautifully plated. The ingredients were clearly fresh and high quality, and the flavors were bold, balanced, and memorable. And that olive oil cake? Absolutely divine — moist, fragrant, topped with crushed pistachios and cherries, and paired with a luscious scoop of cream. It was everything I hoped for and more. The atmosphere is warm, lively, and welcoming, and the staff was attentive and friendly throughout the evening. I left full, happy, and already planning my next visit. If you’re in Tucson and looking for a culinary experience that delivers on flavor, presentation, and service — Tito & Pep should be at the top of your list.

Best service we have experienced in years. The food was impeccable. Every item on the plate was carefully prepared to add to each dish. The cocktails are carefully crafted and they were kind enough to make adjustments without any hesitation. The Red Snapper was the best I have ever enjoyed, from Mexico to Florida. The olive oil cake was the perfect ending to the best dinner we've enjoyed in a long, long time.

Tito & Pep was a standout from start to finish. The menu offered a vibrant range of bold, flavorful dishes—each one crafted with care and served in generous portions, despite the tapas-style format. The variety made it easy to share and explore, and every plate delivered. The atmosphere was relaxed yet refined, and the overall experience felt thoughtfully curated. This spot is absolutely worth your time—but be sure to make a reservation, as it fills up fast.

Came twice over a couple of months and Tito and Pep stood out as the best dining experience during my time in Tucson. Alex was our server on both occasions and he is an outstanding guide to the dining experience, providing great recommendations and demonstrating a clear mastery of the menu. On the first visit, we shared the Hamachi Aguachile and Squash salad and then the Pork Chop and Striped Bass. Every dish was excellent, perfectly prepared with delightful combinations of flavors and textures that elevated the complexity of the dish. The Sonoran flavors and woodfired grill were showcased across the meats. The chocolate Ganache was a great uniquely presented dessert that was also delicious. On the second visit, we shared the steak skewers, octopus and beet salad, then each had the New York Strip and then finished with the Olive Oil Cake and Panna Cotta. Again, every dish was excellent, full of unique flavors and perfectly prepared. The desserts were outstanding. The restaurant is a beautiful space with plants around the space, often dividing the dining spaces, while feeling airy and open. The staff are friendly and attentive and the food is on point. Great cocktails with creative mixology and an affordable wine list. You will likely need a reservation, but if you are in Tucson, I highly recommend Tito & Pep.
Ryan W — Google review
The service here was fantastic. They accommodated our 20 person group with a one day warning. The staff recognized one of our members that came a few days before. The Jamaica lemonade was too sour for my taste (and not sweet enough to balance that sourness). The queso fundido was very greasy and heavy, but if you share it and just eat one taco, it was pretty good. The cheesy is nice and crisped against the pan, with lots of mushrooms and a tiny bit of stewed beef chunks. The hamachi special was fantastic. It had like a cantaloupe sauce served with the slices of fish, and together, they were fantastic. The steak skewers were a little bit mixed -- some chunks had a nice heavy char, while others were cooked but not really charred. The parmesan cheese worked surprisingly well with it, and the sauce was good with it, though a little salty. The cucumber salad special wasn't my thing. There was a crudo or tartare that they brought out by accident, and it looked fantastic. I now wish I had gotten that, haha. There was a charred octopus that was lacking that springy chewiness I enjoy from octopus tentacles. Theirs was tender, which I can understand that others may like more. Eaten together with the cherry tomatoes and avocado with a squirt of lime is the best way! Me and three companions did not like the pozole, but one of our companions liked it. It didn't really taste yummy or special to me. The striped sea bass was okay. It was cooked well, with a nice crispiness to the skin with tender fillet meat, but the sauce was way too salty, and without the sauce, it was plain. The mushrooms were way too salty. I liked the crispy things on top, but if you ordered this as an entree, it would just be a salt overload. I unfortunately can't recommend this dish. The chicken was okay. The sauce it was served with was good. I like the creamed corn thing and Swiss chard served with it. The Panna Cotta dessert was amazing. It's got like a greek yogurt flavor, but it's very smooth and silky. It's served with a sour and sweet passionfruit sauce that's fantastic when eaten with all of the desserts. The chocolate and cream ganache was interesting. It was a very dark chocolate with semi sweetness. By itself, I wouldn't have liked it much, but if you dip it in the passionfruit sauce served with the Panna cotta, then it has a nice balance of heavy, dark, flavors with the intensely sour and sweet passionfruit. The olive oil orange cake was okay. It did have a heavy orange zesty flavor, but it just didn't really hit the spot for me. Overall, the flavors and service here were solid, and they had the best food of the limited foods I've tried in my Tucson trip.

I went to Teaspoon this last Sunday for the first time as a treat for my 60th birthday. I had to sit at the bar which I don’t love but the young man waiting was quick and attentive. I asked about the southwest breakfast bowl or the Dutch pancake. He steered me to the savory. It looked nice when it arrived. My first bite had something hard and crunchy. It was the potatoes which 1/2 of them were to small and hard to chew. The whole thing lacked flavor. There were good things in it but it didn’t meld together. It was dry. I added salt, pepper and hot sauce but still wasn’t enough. I think maybe some sour cream or something to help with the dryness and better potatoes. I was just so very disappointed that this was my 60th birthday meal. The Vietnamese coffee was delicious. I am going to give this place another try and pray for a better outcome. Good service thanks for that!

Restaurant
Welcome Diner, located on Tucson's Broadway Boulevard, is a prime example of Googie architecture. This midcentury style, characterized by its futuristic and slightly kitschy design, was influenced by the emerging car culture and fascination with the Space Age in the 1960s. The diner's asymmetrical roof, neon counter lighting, and glass walls reflect this iconic architectural style.
I loved everything about the place. The decor is retro-ish but not overly done, it was comfortable. The staff is friendly and informative about the food. One waitresses, with a lovely smile, took the time to tell us about her newest creation, a pie with Carmel corn! I'll definitely be back. In the meantime please enjoy one of the most photogenic plates of food on the planet. Avocado Toast. Sexy.

I really wanted to like this spot more than I did. There is ample parking, plenty of tables, booths and counter stools, so even though my visit was on a busy Sunday morning, we were sat immediately at the counter. The atmosphere is bright, plenty of windows and their recent renovation kept many of Chaffin's architectural features and original fixtures. Service was prompt, friendly and efficient. Coffee came out right away and it was hot and tasty, but that was where the rest of the experience broke down. A twenty minute wait for the food to arrive and it was just average. Plating was also sparse and unimaginative. My search for a decent, accessible, not too long of a wait, Tucson breakfast spot continues....

Good food and a great place to go for a quick home style dinner. The venue is unique and definitely welcoming. It conveys the history of how the traditional 50s dinners used to look with a flare of 2018 hipster. Staff is friendly and certainly a good place to bring someone for a date. food service is a little slow, but It appears busy but then again I’m here during lunch hour, guess this gives me an excuse to return.

We came in for dinner on our last night in Tucson. It was a wonderful way to end our trip. Everything on the menu looked great and when we asked for advice pretty much everything on the far right hand side of the menu is recommended. I’m not a huge fan of tomato but the fried green tomato sandwich sounded delicious and it was. Everything we ordered was cooked to perfection, the service was excellent, and the decor and seats were very comfortable. I think it’s a nice touch that they provide postcards and mail them for you. If we are ever back in town we will definitely come here and highly recommend it.

This place serves delicious food. Period. If you try anything, go for the posole...if they have any, they are sometimes out by Sunday. However a good breakfast standby are the roast veggies with eggs, go for over-medium. But really explore the menu, you're likely to find something you like. Think Nana's kitchen with a twist; the pan birote with chorizo and potatoes is always a hit, and of course nothing says breakfast like a little day drinking.
Alberto R — Google review
This place immediately reminded me The Grill that used to be on Congress, downtown. Anyway, I loved that they kept the old Chaffins exterior and made subtle changes to the interior. To begin, the exterior is nicely landscaped and they even have an L-shaped wood bench, under the palm tree near the front door. Upon walking in you see sky blue booths and bar stools, unique candles and an alcoholic bar (see pics for details). The walls are white with a few simple framed pictures including the 2 hilariously odd ones outside of the restrooms. You can see the kitchen that it's situated behind the bar seating. The service: Our service was great. There were 2 people that waited on a row of booths & from my observations there was never anyone waiting. The food: Their menu is unique in that it offers breakfast and lunch, non-alcoholic, alcoholic (beer, wine and liquor/cocktails). I describe the food as slightly Cajun inspired. My dad & I ordered a Welcome Breakfast (2 eggs, hashbrowns & a delucious homemade biscuit). I added two thick pieces of bacon and my dad added andouille. Andouille is a cajun inspired smoked sausage with a slight kick to it but nothing too overpowering. Needless to say, our meals were great. Water was serviced in a mason jar & was ice cold. Parking: It is located just East of downtown of Broadway, off of Euclid. It has am ample free parking lot with spots in the shade.

I came here for the vegan food options, but the naked man printed on the very eclectic cover of the menu is what really made it worthwhile! Cozy little diner that beautifully captures the look and feel of a diner and well kept inside. The service was good, all the staff were friendly and food came out fast. I had the Jackfruit Poboy. Wow, probably the best I've ever had. I'll definitely be back to get that again.

Nestled in Tucson, Roma Imports is a charming specialty store and daytime café that embodies the essence of an authentic Italian deli. This cozy spot offers a delightful array of imported Italian foods, featuring high-quality meats and cheeses that transport you straight to Italy.
First time customer and wanted to see what it offered. It's rather small but have tables in the back to have lunch. Has many things you would expect in this kind of store from olive oil to noodles and lots more. I bought the Roma Special and it did not disappoint. I went with Mild peppers on the sandwich. The bread alone was so good. Lots of oil and vinegar, four meats, cheese and the works. Absolutely a beautiful sandwich. I could only eat half as it was a big sandwich for $12. Also purchased some Italian olives stuff with gorganzola cheese. Taste like Italy. Also they have my favorite Greek olive oil from a place lived near to when I was living there back in the 80's!

Very easy access, parking may be a bit challenging when busy. Very polite personnel. Very clean and well organized market, deli and restaurant. Place your meal order at the counter and then enjoy a seat in their casual setting, with a beautiful mural on the back wall. The sandwich bread was great, sauce tasty, and nice serving size. But the chicken was dry and the meatballs where just okay. Both sandwiches would have benefitted from more sauce. It was fun to wander the market and deli to pick out some treasures to take home and be creative with making our own meals.

This is a hidden gem in an in industrial area. I was recently there and it was very busy and I was surprised how many people knew about it. I did not eat in however I did get a vegetable soup to go, which was delicious. I did stock up on a lot of original Italian olive oils and lasagna and fettuccine Alfredo and soups and sauces. Everything looked so delicious. I was visiting from Phoenix and wish we had a place up here like this.

What a gem in Tucson!!! Restaurant & market all in one. Loved the meatball sub. Seen a few other dishes come out to other customers and they all looked fantastic. Best thing I can tell you is go and check it out for yourself. You won’t be disappointed!

Italian deli with great Italian sub sandwich option but not exactly what I expected. I found large varieties of foods to go, spices, treats and plenty of seating but didn't find the most helpful staff unfortunately. There's a menu so you can dine in but I couldn't find someone to give it to me. Since I had driven a long way to try this location I did go to deli counter and have a sandwich made. It was fresh & delicious. Bread & meats were fresh & exactly how I had imagined it should taste. I'm going to chuck it up to maybe an off day & will try again if I'm in area. Don't forget your shopping bag so you can take home any one of their frozen prepped meals or some fresh cheese and meats.

I grew up going to Italian stores in California. I’m so pleasantly surprised and thrilled that Tucson has a good one in Roma Imports. They have a wide selection of both frozen and refrigerated foods, a deli, and a little restaurant seating atmosphere in the back. They have several different types of frozen ravioli, which I have tried and loved. Bellissimo. 👌

First time in Tucson and I saw this place advertised online before, and I love to check out a local family spot. You know it’s good when it’s literally a deli supermarket and sells food. They sold so many Italian ready made goods and authentic produce. The sandwiches we had were very good wish we got a chance to try more items!

This is amazing! The cinnamon pancake with heavy frosting was decadent and all the lunch/brunch entrees were great. Great jalapeño burger, amazing tuna melt, fantastic scones, awesome omelettes,,,it’s just all good. Service was good vs awesome but it was very crowded for Easter brunch! Nice inside seating and nice outside seating ! Love it! VictorB

Wow, what an amazing brunch spot! We ordered the Avocado Scrambled Eggs Chili Oil Sourdough toast, the Breakfast Burrito, Bacon Egg and Cheese, and the Blueberry Scones - it was absolutely delicious!! Everything was tasty and high quality. My family and I wish we could have tried everything on their menu…We are on a road trip and got extra blueberry scones to-go, they were so good! Defintely a must stop if you’re in Tucson!

No wait on a Saturday morning. Cozy restaurant in downtown Tucson. The food was outstanding. The Godfather Benedict was excellent, with a side of Smashed Hash. The Hanger Steak and Eggs was perfectly seasoned and cooked, simply delicious. We got crumpets on the side and the homemade jam made for a delightful breakfast accompaniment. The Coffee drinks were excellent, a latte and a matcha. Highly recommend for a breakfast or brunch if you are in downtown Tucson.

We enjoyed a delicious lunch. Super cute restaurant. Friendly service. It's a scratch kitchen, so the food takes a little time. We enjoyed the burger and tamale cakes. Both were delicious and well served. Make sure to order the scones!

Saturday brunch at Nook was a total win! The hangar steak was really all that, perfectly cooked, served with a bright chimichurri, and paired with crispy smashed hashbrowns topped with micro greens. The plate also included two eggs, which we ordered scrambled soft. That can often be a gamble, but the chef nailed it! Absolutely perfect. We added a side salad and a side of blueberry pancakes, and both were outstanding. The salad was crisp and fresh, while the pancakes were light-as-a-feather fluffy with just the right balance of blueberries in every bite. The restaurant itself is cute and inviting, a great brunch spot in Tucson. The only miss for us was the coffee, which was on the weak side. Overall, Nook delivers robust flavors, freshness, and attention to detail in every dish. We’ll definitely be back!

I love Nook! Every time I come i always leave very satisfied. The food is top notch and the servers are great. The girls working are always so friendly and they even remember your name and order if you come in somewhat often!

I had a great experience at Nook! The atmosphere is warm and stylish without feeling over the top, and it really gives that cozy, modern neighborhood vibe. The menu has a nice balance of creative dishes and familiar favorites, and everything we tried was fresh and well-prepared. The highlights for me were the flavorful mains and the thoughtful presentation. You can tell the kitchen cares about both taste and detail. Service was friendly and attentive, though a bit on the slower side at times, which is the main reason I held back one star. Overall, Nook is a fantastic spot for anyone who enjoys elevated American cuisine with a fresh twist. I’d definitely come back and recommend it to friends!

Diner
Gus Balon's Restaurant is a charming, old-school diner that has been delighting locals and visitors in Tucson since 1965. Known for its classic American breakfast and lunch offerings, this family-owned gem serves up mouthwatering dishes like chicken fried steak, homemade corned beef hash, and their famous breakfast burger nestled in a freshly baked bun. The star of the show might just be their colossal cinnamon sugar rolls—an absolute must-try!
Great great service...even during the busy hour. They served the best french toast I've had; homemade bread they used made he difference! It's a small place. Normal griddle eggs and frozen sausage patties...but this place killed it with vibe and service!
Tessa H — Google review
I have been going to this restaurant sence I was 16 years old. Im 65 now. We hadn't been there is a few years and my husband and I decided to go. Their food was always really good. Home made everything. Let me tell you it has changed. Not for the better either. We seated ourselves on an empty table as instructed. The place was cold. I felt cold air the whole time we were there. The waitress said the back door was open because it's hot in the kitchen. When the front door opens cold air flows thru the whole place. Now the food. It was all cold. My eggs were cold, my French toast cold and tasteless. It just tasted of syrup. Their toast wasn't the same. They used to be thick pieces. Now they're thin. It was very disappointing. I got 2 cinnamon rolls to go. They used to be great. Huge, lots of icing. Here is a picture of what I got. No icing. I got 2 tiny containers of something white. It had no taste. The whole meal 2as pretty bad. The bacon I had was very hard. My husband said his sausage was half the size it used to be. We won't be going back for a long time. I would of had a better breakfast at mcdonalds with an egg mcmuffin.

Their homemade bread is amazing! Not to mention the cinnamon roll is HUGE! Food and service was amazing! Awesome small family restaurant, you need to check it out!

A good place for some breakfast. The food is standard or perhaps just above. The service is outstanding. The ladies working there are very kind, respectful and attentive. It's an older building but the inside seems clean and maintained. They have several different kinds of pies and plenty of breakfast options.

Update: 11/16/24 Came in today for breakfast. I love chicken fried steak for breakfast and this establishment serves up a fantastic chicken fried steak breakfast. I had mine with decaf, buttered raisin toast, poached eggs and hash browns slathered in gravy. OMG good The most noteworthy aspect of my visit was the level of service l received from the server named Juliet. Incredibly rare to receive such a high level of genuine old fashioned customer service in the post pandemic world of indifference, truly refreshing! Original post: Good old fashioned locally owned cafe. I can't vouch for the lunch offerings, but breakfast is always top notched. IMHO: Eating breakfast at Gus's has been a treat for many years now.
MK — Google review
After driving past this place for the last couple of years, I finally stopped in. The food was alright, but not special enough for a return visit. I also thought the portions were a bit on the small side. The cinnamon rolls looked delicious, (I didn't have one) but you would need to bring someone to help you eat it, or get a to go box.

Great diner. This is a must place to try when in Tucson. My waitress Amanda was great, very friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, and the place it's self. I was lucky enough to show up on rice pudding day. As I was told by Amanda, it only happens occasionally. The proprietor was present and working like any one else on staff. I always like to see that at a restaurant. I wish I could have got back for another meal,as the menu was very abundant with options. Next year upon my yearly visit, this will be on the agenda for meals.

This place is great! Literally every employee is welcoming and attentive. The food is delicious, especially the homemade corned beef hash! All of their breads are homemade, including their famous cinnamon rolls. The restaurant itself is clean and tidy. We recently moved to the area, so this will definitely be a regular choice for breakfast!

Locale Neighborhood Italian Restaurant is a bustling venue that offers traditional Italian cuisine, a bakery, and a wine bar. Since its opening in December 2020, it has quickly become a favorite spot for those who enjoy outdoor dining. The restaurant is located in a historic farmhouse near Alvernon Way and Broadway Boulevard in midtown Tucson. The menu features dishes inspired by the culinary traditions of Italy, using ingredients from local Arizona family farms.
We had a wonderful experience at Locale! The atmosphere is inviting, with the option to dine indoors or enjoy their outdoor seating. We chose to sit outside on a warm August evening, and it was a perfect setting. Our server was excellent—attentive, friendly, and got everything right the first time, which made the evening even smoother. I ordered the branzino, and it was outstanding—crispy on the outside yet tender and juicy inside. Easily one of the highlights of the meal! The prices were very reasonable, especially for a party of five. Given the quality of the food, service, and overall experience, we felt it was a great value. Locale definitely left a strong impression, and we’ll be coming back on our next visit to Tucson. Highly recommend!

Stopped in for dinner at this local Italian spot and was pleasantly surprised. The decor has a charming “old Italian modern casual” feel with just a hint of mid-century—think cozy booths, warm lighting, and retro touches that give it character without feeling dated. The menu sticks to the classics, and they do them well. Everything tasted homemade. Server was a little dry. It’s not reinventing Italian cuisine, but that’s part of the appeal. Solid, comforting food in a laid-back setting. Great place to have in the neighborhood.

1st timers, really glad we found this place for brunch....something for everyone. Breakfast sandwich was delicious and served with this amazing dip sauce for the potatoes. Plum tart was just as flavorful as it looks 😋 and the shakerato espresso was impressive 👍 The omelet florentine was filling and could be enough for two people if they wanted to also have something from the bakery like a fresh muffin, tart, or croissant. The almond pancake served with blueberries, strawberries, and blackberries and lemon creme was my favorite 😍

This is a neighborhood gem in Tucson. It is great for brunch and any other meal. The outdoor patio is spacious in a perfect weather. The reception and serves are great I’m certain expect for Jazer. Probably he was having a bad morning but what servers in the world serve you turning backwards?? Despite the great food for a great price, this was a very bad experience. Still, the person who brought our food, who sat us in were way nicer

I rarely rate a restaurant 5 Stars. Locale hit the high water mark for cleanliness, service, atmosphere, Attention to detail and importantly food quality. Plenty of parking, a spotless dining room, clean restrooms and excellent service. If you are in the mood for Italian do go you will not be disappointed.

This establishment consistently exceeds expectations; the beverages and cuisine are exceptional. The outdoor seating area provides great sunset views. I frequently order the Fusilli with shrimp, a personal favorite. The whipped gorgonzola and walnut bread, with its sharp, blue cheese-like tang, is an excellent appetizer. Their old fashioned cocktail is flawlessly prepared each time.

Beautiful courtyard space for outdoor dining. The restaurant was busy on a Sunday evening, but the courtyard offers seating to sit and wait and you can order drinks from the bar while you wait. We were seated at a high top in the bar area, which was comfortable. The staff were working hard to keep up with a restaurant that stayed consistently full throughout the time that we were eating. Ella was a wonderful server, attentive and provided great food recommendations. The food was outstanding. We started with the meatballs, olives, and bread and oil. The bread was warm and soft. The main dishes were amply portioned and very affordable, we had the Sfoglia and Tortellini Di Zucca. The tiramisu was an excellent end to the meal, perfectly made and a great dish to share.

Bakery
Start your day with a visit to Barrio Bread, a beloved community-supported bakery in Tucson that specializes in using local heirloom grains to create an array of delicious breads. Owner and baker Don Guerra has gained recognition for his dedication to incorporating ancient baking techniques and collaborating with local farmers and food producers. The bakery's offerings include unique flavors like apricot cranberry, jalapeno cheddar, olive fougasse, and whole wheat walnut.
Saw some other reviews on Barrio Bread and gotta say they were correct. A smaller local bakery in Tucson making fresh real bread. There was a small line but it went fast. I got a loaf of heritage and another of the cranberry walnut. Both were excellent. Almost 4 lbs of bread. 👍 I certainly recommend you check this place out.

This is the best bread this side of the Mississippi, yes, you read that correctly, it's the absolute best! We moved to the area 6 months ago and tried all the bakeries in the wrea, and now we go out of our way for Barrio Bread. Our favorite breads are the Jalapeno Cheddar, Cinnamon Raisin, Pain Au Levain, and Heritage. The owner, Don Guerra, is always there, he is so nice, and seems so happy to share his passion for bread. There is usually a line, but totally worth the wait. Must enjoy!

I finally got my bread. I've been trying to get some every time I am in Tucson and the line was always so long. I got there and was only like 8th in line. It was still worth it. Whole wheat was delicious.

I'm not a bread connoisseur, but Barrio Bread is the real deal. I've tried several of the breads, and fuccachia's and everything is as fresh and tasty as can be. I. Wish I get there one time when they make pizza once a month, I can't wait to try that.

Don is the most beloved bread baker in the desert southwest. I started going to the bakery when they opened in November of 2016. Love the bread as well as the people behind the counters who are always very pleasant. Plus the loaves are all made with love. Barrio Bread rocks!

Wow—someone recommended them when my sourdough starter died during a winter heat wave. I went to get starter and I couldn’t resist their gorgeous breads! Absolutely fantastic assortment of artisanal breads and very reasonable prices. You can order bread in advance (see their website) or buy at the counter. There was a little wait but absolutely worth it! I wish I had known about them years ago.

Cafe Maggie, formerly known as Epic Cafe, is a vibrant and eco-friendly family-owned business located on Fourth Avenue. The cafe was saved by new owner George Shaar and reopened in late September last year. It offers a variety of gourmet coffees, homemade cakes, and ice creams. The menu includes breakfast and lunch options such as the popular 'Maggies Breakfast Sandy' featuring scrambled egg, bacon, cheese, and caramelized onion on a bagel.
Short & Sweet Comfy, art-filled café on 4th Ave, perfect for a bite, local vibes, and supporting the community. Brewing coffee and connection in Tucson’s heart. Longer Musings Café Maggie’s on 4th Ave is the kind of coffee shop that fits you like an old pair of denim—comfortable, worn-in, and ready for all the possibilities. Nestled just steps from the 4th Ave Streetcar and close to the University of Arizona, it’s got an effortless artsy vibe that just is what it’s meant to be—an authentic local spot. Inside, rotating local art fills the walls, community event flyers are tucked along the windows, and a mutual aid water station outside speaks to the café’s dedication to supporting neighbors. It’s the kind of space where chance meetings birth creative change, where ideas flow as easily as the coffee, and revolutionary conversations stoke impassioned visions for tomorrow. You’ll find me here on sunny afternoons with my favorite drink, an extra dirty hot chai latte- perfection! ☕️ 🥧 Their menu has something for everyone, whether you’re vegan, gluten-free, have restrictions, or simply curious. Today I had the avocado toast and was pleasantly surprised to find they kept it simple and let the flavors speak for themselves! Not sure what to order? Just ask—the staff is as welcoming as the space itself. With seating inside and out, nearby metered parking, and convenient options to pay with cash, card, or tap, Café Maggie’s makes grabbing a coffee or meal here easy. And don’t miss the people-watching! Located near the University and in the heart of historic 4th Ave, it’s perfect for a quick escape, gathering with friends, or just being in the moment.

Full of character, relaxing vibes, classic music, abstract art, and a wonderful breakfast/coffee selection. We went here before a hike and left very satisfied. I got the giant burrito, or whatever the biggest burrito on the menu is called, and I wasn't hungry again until about 1pm lol after a 7 mile hike. Very fairly priced too! You will need to find street parking but this wasn't an issue at 0730.

I had the breakfast sandwich on a ln everything bagel, absolutely delicious and paired it with a banana nut muffin that hit the spot. We also tried the avocado toast, which was fresh and flavorful. Food is good the breakfast burrito is really full of flavor and the staff loves working here. The place is dirty though, scrapping dry food off the table, dead flies, cobwebs, and a dirty bathroom hinder the enjoyment. Potential to me amazing but I kept thinking if this is what the customer face looks like what does the kitchen.

It was not busy at all and seems like the perfect hole-in-the-wall spot to take a chance at. Not to mention, the prices were very reasonable. This was our first visit to a Kneaders. We used the drive thru and it was pretty quick. The chicken Thai salad is out of this world. It was unbelievably good and all the veg seemed super fresh. We also had a kids meal (that comes with a HUGE cookie), clam chowder, and broccoli cheddar soup. All very good!

We absolutely love this place! Whenever we're in Tucson we make it a point to stop here. I'm a big French toast aficionado and Kneader's is the best. My wife got sourdough pancakes (one of them wasn't cooked completely, a minor mistake) and they were delicious. You definitely need to give them a try. Highly recommended.

Get the chai tea latte hot, its creamy and sweet; perfect mix forget starbucks. The coffee latte is great, smooth, bold with topped my new favorite addition *cinnamon*. The chocolate covered strawberry I had had perfect combo of sweet & tart. The fruit tart was small and the fruit not fresh, but the taste was just..eh. Try the blueberry lemon muffin top, as it was sweet but the tartness made it a great combo. The wedding cookies were sweet, powdery but not dry, bitefuls of goodness. The key lime tart was part citrus and sweet, topped with whipped creamed, perfect size to have w/the coffee. I'll go back for my chai and coffee latte. The atmosphere was cozy chill. Bathrooms and place were clean. Staff friendly.

This is the last time I'm going to visit Kneaders. I wanted to like this place because it is the only sandwich shop in town with a drive thru and that is super convenient. But after having them eliminate their rewards system unless you order via the app or deal with manually submitting your receipts thru the app I was pretty frustrated and stopped visiting for several months. Today I decided to go ahead and visit again because I was right next door and was hungry. Ordered a turkey, bacon, avocado on sourdough. Drive home, excited to eat it. Open up my sandwich to spread the turkey around a little more evenly and find this sad excuse for a serving of avocado on my sandwich. The serving size of bacon was almost as sad but I was annoyed enough to stop eating and write this review before I even finished my lunch. If you can't be consistent then you're not worth the money that you charge.

I placed on online order at 11:30am for a 12:00PM pickup. My boyfriend showed up at 12:10pm to pick up the food and the order hadn't even be started. They give him my food and it looked like this (picture below). I’m so disgusted. I asked for no onions and got onions anyway. The grilled cheese was supposed to have bacon and avocado, it didn’t. Shouldn’t we get what we paid for?!

Monterey Court is a unique American locale that used to be an old motel but has been transformed into a vibrant combination of cafe, bar, live music venue, and artisan market. The place hosts live music performances from Tuesday through Sunday on a stage that caters to both intimate and larger outdoor concerts. The atmosphere is lively and centered around the music scene.
I arrived on Saturday early afternoon following a 48 hour fast. I’d been craving these mussels😊 While I waited for the mussels to be prepared I ordered a drink which was hand-crafted by the owner as we chatted about Tucson things. While enjoying the mussels and a salad, and the coolness of this Saturday afternoon at the Court’s outdoor bar, I decided to order a burger to take with me for later. Not sure whether it was partially the aftermath of the fast but, this burger was one of the best I’ve ever eaten. Savory and fresh and cooked to my preferred “doneness” it was delicious. I will be back soon, Monterey Court!

I recently visited Monterey Court in my neighborhood, and it was an amazing experience! This unique American locale has a full bar and roomy patio, and regularly features live music. I had the pleasure of seeing Larry & Joe, presented by KXCI, and it was truly unforgettable. The fusion of Venezuelan and Appalachian folk traditions by Larry Bellorín and Joe Troop was breathtaking. Their bilingual program was engaging, humorous, and had everyone clapping and dancing by the end. The music alone was worth the visit, but the food was also fantastic. I especially loved the baked brie and the Blues & Greens salad as a vegetarian option. And the carrot cake was one of the best I've ever had - creamy, but not too sweet. The Fresh Strawberry Lemonade was a refreshing drink with just the right amount of vodka. The atmosphere was cozy, and the staff was friendly and attentive. Monterey Court is definitely worth a visit if you're looking for a great night out with live music, food, and drinks. Highly recommended!

I stopped by on Sunday for brunch and to hear Clio. I ordered the veggie omelette with fruit and it was very good, had lots of veggies and the fruit was ripe and sweet. Great music too! It was pretty warm, but the misters kept us cool. I wish some of the shops had been open. I'll be back for those.

This place has a great atmosphere and the food was very good. But it is a covered outside venue and as such can be hot even in the evenings despite the misting system, especially during the monsoon season. Parking is limited and the place is popular so get there earlier than you think you need to.

Nestled in the heart of east-central Tucson, Dedicated is a charming family-owned bakery and coffee shop that specializes in gluten-free delights. This inviting spot features a cozy patio where you can enjoy an array of seasonal flavors without worrying about gluten. From savory vegan veggie quiche to sweet treats like gingerbread loaf and cinnamon pull-apart bread, there's something for everyone.
Love love love! They have vegan, nut free, dairy free, and even low sugar options. And of course EVERYTHING is gluten free. It’s so nice to have a bakery where you can freely choose anything on display as a gluten intolerant person. I go there at least once a week and they made my wedding and anniversary cake. Not only are all of their pastries delicious but they also put in the effort to make them look cute. The staff is very friendly and will always make you feel welcome

We were in Tucson for the weekend and found this bakery. All the food we tried was great! And I love that not only is everything gluten free, but a ton of stuff is vegan as well and they call out on the vegan items if it has soy. The orange cranberry muffin and lemon bars are delicious as was their A-Train breakfast. The drinks were a bit hit and miss. The iced mocha was delicious! The London fog was unfortunately overly sweet and the green tea tasted burnt.

Everything is gluten free!!!! We came in town for a conference and I thought I’d venture out and explore the local eats, and this place did not disappoint. The gluten free sourdough is so unique and buttery and delicious. Really enjoyed the gluten free brownie!!! The frosting was tasty and creamy and the brownie chewy and not gritty. They’ve really done a great job with the recipes!! The atmosphere was so cute! Love the all inclusive decor!

My go to bakery for peanut free and vegan cakes and dessert. This is now the only bakery in Tucson that can accommodate people with food allergies. The baked goods are out of this world delicious, and you literally can't tell it's vegan or has been modified for a food allergy. I'm not a vegan but I have vegan friends, and I've tried to make a vegan cake and no just no it turned out horribly from texture to taste. I don't know what sort of magic goes on in the kitchen but the taste of everything in this bakery is wonderful and the texture is perfect. I have tricked people by making them take a bite of a baked good and later telling them it was vegan, and they are always surprised. I'm so happy this bakery exists my only wish is that it was closer to my home and not a 45 to an hour drive away depending on traffic.

Dedicated created an absolutely gorgeous personal wedding cake for our big day this past April! We had a tasting, which was so easy and effortless, and proceeded with our selections after a lot of deliberation- there's so many options! Which is incredible when you're both gluten and dairy free. The frosting work was everything we dreamed of- so beautiful! The other desserts for our table were so delicious, there wasn't a single item left at the end of the night! [Photos by In Bloom Images]

Heavily debated between a 1 or a 2 star review because my club sandwich was so good, but just under an hour wait time for my food was insane. Went a couple days ago and there were about 8 other people there, 5 people were already seated with their orders, so only 3 and myself waiting for food. There were at a minimum of 6 different employees on shift (i had the time to notice them all coming outside the kitchen at different times) and yet everyone who ordered had to wait at least 30 minutes (on the low end, and that is not taking into account how long the first person to get their food was there for before I arrived). It was bad enough to where the lady who ordered her food AFTER me went up to ask why it was taking so long. After 30 minutes the guy at the front apologized and said they were working on it. at 55 minutes I told him to please just refund me so I could leave. My food came out right as he said he was going to check on it. Not only is an hour wait outrageous at any food place, but even worse when there are so many employees working and only 4 people waiting on food. Liked my sandwich a lot but not worth a wait longer than 15 minutes let alone 55.

I enjoyed this wonderful bakery and super helpful staff. Thank you so much for going above and beyond to help answer my questions on ingredients and recommendations to avoid corn. They were very caring and knowledgeable on allergens. The chickpea salad and sourdough bread was amazing! Generous portions and I was more than happy with the desserts, cheesecake and pumpkin bread. Definitely will come back!

Dedicated, delicious and definitely in demand~ I arrived within an hour of closing and got a freshly prepared Chicken Sammwhich, the picture speaks for itself, I added on their rice paper bacon which is the best bacon I've tasted in over 30 yrs of not eating pork. Mild peppers sauteed and tender. I could taste The herbs on the chicken to my delight. The gluten free bread was soft, and lightly toasted. The Bakery has an impressive variety of baked goods to choose from. You'll also find unique gifts from local artisans including hand crafted soaps and other sweet stuff. Good value for the price. Eating regular bread always makes me feel bad, I'm so happy to find this place for options even though I'm not officially allergic to gluten it's my preference to go without whenever possible. Can't wait till breakfast to have the pumpkin bread with chocolate chips

La Estrella Bakery Inc is a family-owned Mexican bakery that has been serving handmade pastries since 1986. With multiple locations in Tucson, the bakery offers a variety of freshly baked goods, including pan dulce, concha, bandera, chamuco, cochito, and oreja. It's best to visit in the morning for fluffy doughnuts, flaky orejas, and fruit-filled empanadas at affordable prices.
This bakery sets the bar high! We stopped in to browse on our way to a meeting and when we returned they remembered us and the selections that caught our eye! 5 stars isn’t enough for this incredible jewel in Tucson’s crown. The ladies were lovely, everything we tried was delicious and their prices are unbelievable. Hospitality, class & excellence…we will absolutely be returning! Alas, there is no photo because everything was too irresistible!

Wow! One of the best eating-out experiences in Tucson. Went there for breakfast with a friend. I got introduced to some amazing Mexican bread/pastries and left with a smile on my face. Sometimes we have a high expectation going to a place that has been reviewed in magazines. -- This place did not disappoint. Can't say enough positives! You'll love it and the atmosphere of the Mercado on the patio.

I didn’t think it was shopping friendly. You have to ask how to do stuff but cashier didn’t speak English They have to go get someone that’ spoke English. The bread was really good though. Looks like a nice place
Donnell E — Google review
Picked up a donut and two fruit empanadas (cherry and pineapple) for a snack. Prices were very reasonable (cash or card accepted). Since we weren't super hungry, we ate the donut first and saved the empanadas for breakfast the next morning. The sugar donut was good and hit the spot with the latte we had picked up from another shop. The empanadas were good, but a little sweeter than I would prefer as they were jam filled.
Linda H — Google review
This bakery was recommended to us during our visit to Tucson and so glad we went. It’s in a beautiful courtyard market that includes restaurants, boutiques, and a coffee shop. Pastries are delicious and not dried out at all (which I am picky about). The gal at the counter was nice, helpful made recommendations since we were unfamiliar with most Mexican pastries. We got concha’s, donuts, empanadas, and a few other things she just put I our bag for us. We also bought a bag of homemade tortillas that were still warm. All of this AND a bottled coffee drink from the fridge for only $20. Go here!
Jacque M — Google review
We stopped in at 12:15 pm on 12/23/22. There was a bit of a line, but it moved quickly. We got 4 pastries and it came out to $5! Amazing! The best by far was the donut. The cream cheese pastry cake in second. The pumpkin empanada tasted like baby food. The gingerbread pig actually didn’t taste too strongly of gingerbread. It was a little hard around the edges too. I would go back just for the donut and I would try other pastries too!
Erin S — Google review
Absolutely delicious Mexican bakery with a wide variety of desserts. We tried three different pastries and all were delicious. Beautifully made and fun colors! I was expecting to pay several dollars especially as the prices weren’t posted. Imagine my surprise when the total was around $2! Great deal and I’ll definitely return. Though the indoor space is small, there is a large outdoor seating area shared with the rest of Mercado San Agustin. The staff were very friendly.
Joshua L — Google review
I attached pictures to show the location. I had a little bit of difficulty finding this bakery. Google didn’t specify that it was located in the mercado. Had I known that it would have been much easier to find. That’s was my only issue. Other then that the sweet bread was fresh and flaky. It was amazing. I had heard excellent things about La Estrella Bakery so I decided to visit to find out what all the hype was about. They certainly didn’t let me down. The ladies working were professional and once I told them I hadn’t been there before… we’re kind enough to explain what they had and the price system. I walked out with a box full of their yummy goodies! Thank you La Estrella Bakery for showing me a great experience & keeping me full & happy! =)

La Chingada Cocina Mexicana is a vibrant Mexican restaurant located in downtown Tucson, Arizona. The restaurant offers a diverse menu featuring traditional Mexican dishes made with locally sourced ingredients and authentic flavors. In addition to classic favorites like tacos and tortilla soup, the menu also includes options for vegetarians, vegans, and those with gluten-free diets. Guests can enjoy their meal in the colorful interior or dine al fresco in the beautiful outdoor courtyard while listening to live music.
We had a delicious lunch at La Chingada. Great service from our server Nataly, amazing food and drinks with an authentic taste. We will definitely be coming back.
Eduardo B — Google review
La Chingada Cocina Mexicana puts a modern spin on traditional flavors, and it really works. The décor feels charming and slightly nostalgic, with details that brought back memories of my childhood. It’s a lively place with a warm atmosphere, and it was especially fun to bring family along to share the experience. We came with a larger group, and while the service was friendly and attentive, it would have helped to have a little more support at the table — refills and orders took a bit longer than expected. Still, the staff did their best to accommodate us. The food itself was flavorful and creative. I enjoyed the beef tamale with its traditional green olive and potato filling, while the added red chili gave it a unique kick. My mother-in-law was also able to swap out her chicken enchilada for birria in her combo, which was a thoughtful option. The chilaquiles were tasty, though on the saltier side and made with chips instead of freshly prepared tortillas, which some may find less authentic. On the sweet side, the Tres Leches Cake was a standout — easily a five-star dessert. Drinks were also a highlight. My Paloma came in a traditional Mexican clay cup, which kept it cool and refreshing until the last sip. It was a great touch, especially on a warm evening. Overall, La Chingada offers a great mix of tradition and modern flair. The atmosphere, food, and touches like live mariachi on Sundays make it a place worth visiting. A solid 4 stars—I’ll definitely be back, especially to try their breakfast menu.
Daisy F — Google review
We came here to get some good Mexican food with some NY out of towners, had not been to this restaurant so we rolled the dice. We did have a solid meal with very attentive service. Everyone enjoyed their food, I will say the chips/salsa and guacamole we ordered were on point. We had wanted to do the table side Guac, but apparently the person that does it was not there which is unfortunate. I am a Chilaquiles expert (self proclaimed of course) and will say that they are flavorful here particularly for a green sauce BUT they were very salty (sauce) and I was disappointed that they do what I call the 'short cut' version of the corn tortillas. Short cut version is where restaurants use chips vs. preparing the corn tortillas by lightly frying or baking so they are a nice combo of soft/cooked. The Tres Leches Cake was 5 star level!

Lexi was a wonderful server and extremely personable. She was attentive, kind, and informative. The food was DELICIOUS and came out quickly. Her recommendations for the Birria (enchiladas and tacos) and margaritas were on point. We will definitely be back!!

I got rib eye tacos and mango ceviche and friend got chickpea tacos and watermelon margarita with tajin on rim. My meat was a bit rare for what I ordered and they forgot about us out on the patio at first but I’d go again.

While visiting the area, a friend recommended La Chingada. Food and drinks were delicious, service was excellent, pricing was reasonable, and atmosphere was pleasant. We even enjoyed live (acoustic) music while there. Street was limited, but there’s an affordable garage very close by.

This is the chimichanga with chicken tinga. Loads of chicken, great presentation, a lot of restaurant food has been tasting a bit too salty and this was no exception. Still 5 ⭐️because that's just a personal preference. Staff was very nice, cute place.
Caroling G — Google review
Came down to Tucson to visit my close friend, and this was his recommendation — I’d never been before, but I’m so glad we went. We made a reservation through Yelp (super quick and easy), which turned out to be smart since it was Mexican Mother’s Day (May 10th) and the place was hopping. From the moment we arrived, the greeter was warm and welcoming. The space has an amazing vibe — colorful, lively, and full of fun energy. Between the murals, neon signs, and festive decor, it’s definitely a place that invites you to relax and enjoy yourself. We came for brunch and started with the mini chimis — I got the variety plate with bean & cheese, chicken tinga, and birria. All were good, but the chicken tinga was next-level delicious. For my main dish, I ordered the beef birria chimichanga ahogada, and it was rich, flavorful, and perfectly sauced. Drink-wise, I’m on a Carajillo kick lately, so I had to try theirs — and it did not disappoint! I also sampled the Organic Fresh Sandía Margarita, which was light, fruity, and super refreshing. Everything from the service to the presentation was on point. I’d absolutely return — this spot is a gem and a must-visit if you’re in Tucson. #VamosALaChingada

Ajo Cafe's veteran baker and kitchen manager, Luis Portillo, finds joy in the process of creating delectable pies. He believes that happiness is essential in crafting a delightful pie that can brighten someone's day when paired with a cup of coffee. Portillo emphasizes the importance of passing on this happiness to the creation itself, as an angry pie would be far from desirable.

I popped in Ajo Cafe after several people in a medical office I had visited, recommended the breakfast burritos. Best cafe in Tucson, maybe the whole state, nothing fancy just great food, and service, 1st time I came here was in the early eighties, the first day I told them I wanted milk with ice in it with my lunch, the second day as soon as I sat down the waitress brought me a glass of milk with ice in it with out asking, their service and friendliness was above par, I’m seventy five years old now, and I still talk about this restaurant. It’s my favorite in the whole country, I just wish I could go there every day. Since I live in Ohio that’s not possible, but anytime I go through Tucson, I’ll make it a point to stop, even if I have to stay overnight to be there during their business hours, the food has always been excellent and the service is the best I’ve ever experienced, and I’ve been in all of the lower 48 states. Best people best restaurant in the country, that’s obvious since they have been there over 40 years that I know of. Love you Ajo Cafe!

My 1st time here. Looks like a hole in the wall and those are the BEST. Food was good, great prices. As customers left they gave the waiter and waitress hugs. Family with the locals. They sit down at a tables and clean everything on it. Even the walls. Such a lovely little spot. I’m happy I found it. If you are close by you should stop in.

From day old loaf of bread 🍞 😋 to absolutely delicious pastries 🍰 😋, you can easily find your sugar fix right here. My only suggestion, please make something coconut and pineapple please. We will be back for sure. Located in a plaza, plenty of other venues within walking distance. Clean, no restrooms, fair amount of parking thanks to the other venues.

SOO Good! The smell of freshly baked bread lured me and my mom in on the way to Sprouts. They have a wide variety of bread and desserts. Day old bread is sold there with a discount. Loews Ventana Canyon Resort is a luxurious desert retreat nestled against the stunning Catalina Mountains. The resort boasts two golf courses, four restaurants, and two pools, including an adults-only pool. Guests can enjoy breathtaking views from the floor-to-ceiling windows and take advantage of amenities like a spa, gym, and lighted tennis courts.
I had a company retreat here, and it was a super nice experience! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The doormen would open the doors for us, the front desk would ask if we had any questions, and the cleaning staff was very friendly and polite. The rooms are amazing! The bathtubs were huge! They're large enough to fit two people comfortably. The beds are decent, although there were stains on some of the bedsheets and pillow covers. The room had a beautiful balcony view of the backyard (and the balcony was very cute, but I didn't use it because it was too hot). There's a small walk leading to a waterfall at the back, and the general backyard area is nice and shaded with a decently large pool, plenty of lounging chairs, and some scenic plants and streams to observe.

Absolutely AMAZING stay at Loews Ventana Canyon Resort! 🌵✨ The location is stunning — right against the Catalina Mountains with desert views everywhere you look. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful, with cactus gardens, koi ponds, and plenty of spots to relax. My room was perfect: spacious, modern, and incredibly comfortable. The bed was plush and cozy, and I slept so well. The bathroom was spotless with a huge shower — my only tiny complaint is that at 5’5” I had to grab the rail to step in without bumping my shin, but once inside it felt like a spa experience. Having a balcony view of the desert and mountains just added to the magic. The food and drinks were excellent at every meal. Their coffee shop is GOATED. The amenities made the trip even better: the golf course with sweeping views, relaxing pools, a tranquil spa, and trails that lead to a little waterfall. We even got to do stargazing on the tennis courts, which was such a unique and special touch. The gift shop also had fun souvenirs — I couldn’t resist grabbing a green glass cactus cup 🌵💚. The staff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The resort also offers tons of other activities and experiences, but honestly the bed was so nice that I luxuriously chose to “bed rot” in the mornings instead. Zero regrets. I left feeling relaxed and recharged.Loews Ventana Canyon is an experience I’d recommend to anyone. 🌟

Stayed here for a conference for three days. Food was good, service was excellent. Staff were outstanding. The resort really is pet friendly. After my cat sitter fell through, I needed to bring my cat with me. For just a $100. fee, she was welcome. Views were beautiful, room was spacious and comfortable. Highly recommend.

This is a truly spectacular property — the kind of place that makes you exhale the second you arrive. My partner and I were fortunate enough to spend one night here, and from check-in to checkout, everything was flawless. The grounds are absolutely breathtaking. Nestled against the Catalina Mountains, you’re surrounded by desert beauty, a stunning waterfall right on property, and walking paths that make you feel like you’ve stepped into another world. As someone who’s always barefoot for religious and health reasons, I was welcomed without hesitation — not a single issue, just kindness and respect. That kind of open-minded hospitality matters deeply to me. We enjoyed breakfast at their restaurant, and the food was okay. The only area for improvement would be expanding the vegan options — a little more creativity there would make it perfect. I also love that Loews Ventana Canyon was designed with the environment in mind. The resort’s architecture intentionally blends into the surrounding desert landscape, minimizing impact on the ecosystem. They also participate in Loews Hotels’ broader sustainability initiatives — reducing single-use plastics, conserving water, and sourcing responsibly. It’s a resort that honors the land it sits on. If you find yourself anywhere near Tucson, make time to stay here. Whether it’s one night or a week, this place feeds your soul. 💖 I love all you people. Every time my friends and I come here, it’s the best experience start to finish. My friend Amber, who works at the spa, introduced me to this place years ago and always helps us get the perfect room — she’s the best! We love spending our days lounging at the different pools, drink in hand, taking in the gorgeous views from the water. The rooms are beautiful and always spotless (my only tiny complaint: the pillows are a little too soft for my liking). This trip, we even made it to the 8 AM yoga — such a peaceful way to start the day and I love that it’s offered. Sunday brunch is hands down our favorite part. Five of us gathered to eat our hearts out and, as always, we were impressed — I only wish I had a bigger stomach to try more! We even got to compliment the chef personally, and he, along with the rest of the staff, was so kind and welcoming. Antonio drove us back and forth multiple times and was incredibly helpful, and the new texting system with the front office made everything super convenient. We own a local beauty studio, and we Love hosting our yearly “business retreats” here. A 5-star hotel disguised as a 4-star. From the moment we drove in, we were impressed by location, landscaping, and cleanliness of the place. We were then upgraded to a more luxurious room as a complimentary service with hotel credit. Staff were genuinely helpful and kind, as opposed to the I-am-bored-to-be-here attitude I have seen elsewhere. 3 pools with 1 accessible 24/7; at least one of them with a great view of the desert, cacti, and mountains. Me and my husband wanted a getaway to simply relax and recharge and a week at this resort was exactly what we needed and more! The grounds and views are just stunning. Very clean and not crowded at all. Pools were all great, room was beautiful and spacious. One of the best steaks we've ever had and everything else we ate was delicious. By day 3 we felt like royalty with how attentive and friendly the staff was, remembering our names and going out of their way to make our time special. Rick, Melinda, Ricky, Michelle, Klarissa, Justin, Kristopher, and Steve! These wonderful people really made our trip memorable, we did not want to leave!

I got married at Hacienda Del Sol on June 1st and it was such a wonderful experience <3 I spent a total of 4 days at the resort and I'm so blessed that its a place I can return to with my husband and family for years to come. The staff was kind and made us feel so special from the moment we arrived for the weekend until we left. I wish I could remember everyone's names but Juliette, Valentine, Acacia, and Summer are just a few of the folks that made our experience memorable. The food was delicious! Everyone at our wedding cleared their plates, the drinks were refreshing, and the cake lived up to family scrutiny. Everything I ordered for breakfast, lunch, and dinner during my stay was delicious. The views were breathtaking and it's clear that the property is kept in the very best conditions year round. The nature walk with Summer was a fun & educational experience and I was excited to share what I learned with my family&friends afterwards. The pools were relaxing and we were never without a cold drink in hand. I am counting down the days until my next Hacienda Del Sol stay!!

Wow. What a wonderful stay. The location is beautiful with great views of the Catalina's. The rooms are historic, clean, with modern amenities. EVERYONE I interacted with from the check in to the wait staff to the jazz trio playing in the dining room was friendly and went out of their way to make sure I was happy. So many relaxing spaces including inner courtyards and three pool areas with spas. I look forward to coming back!!!

The resort itself is absolutely breathtaking - the landscaping, art and rooms are stunning. However, the service from the front desk was so poor I don’t think I ever was treated with such contempt and barely any compassion at all. The check in is at 4pm but, driving cross country with my cats, I arrived at the resort at 2pm and desperately needed a room as one of my cats was in her pee in her carrier and I needed to go to urgent care because she bit me pretty bad as I was trying to clean her. I was met with the most snobby, uncaring front desk person and he had zero urgency or compassion for my situation. I waited 1 hour in the lobby as he kept telling me the room was being inspected and it will take a few more minutes. I was crying and he barely looked at me. The resort was FAR from full and finding me a room and ask the staff to prioritize this shouldn’t have been that hard. I was really sad this was my experience but the place is indeed beautiful.

What can I say about Hacienda Del Sol? It’s truly a breathtaking oasis in the heart of the Tucson desert. We didn’t stay overnight, but came for dinner at The Grill—and were absolutely enchanted from the moment we arrived. The view from the gardens overlooking the valley below was nothing short of stunning. And the sunset? I honestly don’t have the words to do it justice. It was one of those rare moments that just stops you in your tracks. The grounds are impeccably maintained, full of charm and history. Hacienda Del Sol is a registered historic hotel, and you can feel the stories in the architecture and atmosphere. I believe it once housed an all-girls school, and some of the rooms still use traditional keys, which adds such a unique touch. They also offer newer accommodations for a more modern stay, and the on-site gift shop is definitely worth a browse. If I ever return to Tucson, this is where I’ll stay—no question. Absolutely amazing in every way!

Oddly delicious! I usually ask what's most popular and try that. Here it was the Blueberry Brisket Bacon burger. I liked it. Blueberries don't overpower it. Great dipping sauce for the waffle fries too. I also orders a very fruity drink. Tasty! I think it was orange, strawberry and lemons or something like that.

We had a short stay in Tucson and were on the hunt for a great breakfast spot—LeBuzz at Plaza Palomino turned out to be just the place! Despite it being a bustling Sunday morning, we were able to order within just a few minutes and snag one of the last available tables. We shared their LeBuzz Breakfast Burrito, which was outstanding: a perfectly griddled flour tortilla stuffed with two scrambled eggs, home fries, applewood-smoked bacon, sharp cheddar, and pico de gallo, accompanied by a tangy tomatillo salsa. Even though we’re not huge pancake fans, their blue corn blueberry buckwheat pancakes caught our eye—and we’re so glad we tried them; they were incredibly tasty! We topped it all off with a Vietnamese Coffee that was pleasantly not too sweet. LeBuzz’s space is impressive, with two patio areas and two indoor dining spaces, plus a tempting display of fresh-baked pastries. I got so wrapped up in the delicious food that I completely forgot to snap close-up photos—a small regret for sure. But if you’re in Tucson, I highly recommend giving LeBuzz a try (they have two locations). The food and friendly service made our short visit unforgettable! JS 😉

My boyfriend and I absolutely love this breakfast spot! I actually found it on Instagram through @kimmyeatstucson—a fellow Filipina foodie—and I’m so glad I did! I’m a big breakfast/brunch girl, and this place has quickly become our favorite. The food is always delicious, the staff are super friendly, and ordering is easy. I’ve been living in Tucson for 2 years, and since discovering this gem in January, we’ve been coming every weekend—sometimes even 3 times a week (no shame 😆). We’re proud to call ourselves certified regulars. More power to this amazing place! 💛

After an invigorating bike ride up Mt. Lemmon, my family and I were craving a breakfast spot that felt both comforting and indulgent. Le Buzz in Tucson, Arizona, proved to be exactly that. Having loved the Tanque Verde location before, I was eager to see how this one would compare—and it did not disappoint. We chose to dine outside, right beside a gentle fountain. The soft murmur of water brought an immediate calm, soothing the kids and settling our post-ride energy. I ordered a seasonal coffee, Cinnamon Buttermilk, and every sip was perfection: rich, smooth, and warmly spiced. For breakfast, I went with the “American in Paris”, a choice inspired by their exceptional bakery. Every bite confirmed it—flaky, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared. The space itself is charming, with details that feel intimate and welcoming. Le Buzz isn’t just a café—it’s a hidden gem where atmosphere, taste, and family moments converge beautifully. If you find yourself in Tucson, it’s an absolute must-visit for breakfast.

So, I went here early Sunday morning here. I didn't know that it was there honestly. Le Buzz is back away from Swan, at the backside of a business complex, so it's not visible from the street at all. As you walk into Buzz, the order counter is to your left. There is a long attractive display of pastries and baked goods. I chose an everything bagel toasted and coffee Americano. One thing Buzz might consider would be putting some basic nutritional info on the food display - at least caloric info. I chose to sit inside around the corner from where you pay (there is a room with tables as well as a counter, where we chose to sit). I was there at 7am, and it began to get busy after I arrived. The noise level wasn't bad tho. Buzz also has several outdoor areas (front and back) should you chose to dine there. The food was very good. I was amazed by how uniformly golden brown my bagel had been toasted. Just remarkable! I would recommend Le Buzz. It looked like a trendy crowd, the food was fresh and both looked and tasted good. I only downgraded on the service, which seemed a bit long. But I'm not complaining, the staff was warm and very helpful!

My little family and I were having a rough start to our morning when we arrived at Le Buzz. The staff was so welcoming and friendly. In the middle of my son’s coughing fit, we decided to pack up our food. Isaac, whom was at the register packed up some fresh salsas and jam that we didn’t get to finish during our meal. He was very attentive and friendly. I highly recommend this place!

After hearing so much buzz around lebuzz I finally decided to check it out, and I can honestly say I’m a fan! The food was great but the service i received is what will keep me coming back. A very clean, but busy restaurant and a friendly staff. SIERRA, took care of us and she was very kind, proficient, and well versed on the menu. She was very attentive and helpful the entire experience. 10/10 would recommend.

Back Dough, a Thunderbird Heights-Wilmot Desert Estates bakery, is a popular option with Yelpers who award it 4.5 stars out of 52 reviews. The bakery offers desserts and more, and is located at 6260 E. Speedway Blvd.
I’m one to rate only when I love it. And well for the price of these cute little pies and the deliciousness of them. I am happy I got to try. My personal fav was the banana cream pie. Can’t wait to try more pies!
Karla — Google review
The woman who helped us, Lori, was very sweet and quick. The pies were unbelievably good! We got pumpkin, chocolate peanut butter cream, and lemon cream cheese. Highly recommend!
Justa J — Google review
Stopped by for Pi day. I unfortunately can’t eat anything from here (allergies) but my family loves coming here. Their favorites are chocolate, strawberry margarita and the turkey pot pie. Maybe one day they’ll have a vegan, gf option.
Zoe D — Google review
Unfortunately the pie was not fresh! Hard lump of chocolate, dry creme filling, pie crust hard as a rock, talked with whipping cream that seemed old creme? The only thing I can think they make the pies and freeze them and then sell them to you a month later or something? I don't know but if I'm spending $7 and something for a pie I want it to be fresh
Cathy L — Google review
Stopped by Back Dough after work looking for a fresh pumpkin pie. When we walked in we were taken back by the size of the pies. They are all about 6-7” in diameter including crust. But we thought - let’s give one or two a try since we were here. Our first red flag was the size, our second red flag was two little elderly women came in saw the pies, whispered to each other and left. Hmmmm… anyway we purchased an apple and chocolate. We had a slice of pie after dinner. The pies consisted of overly thick water type crust, not good. The ratio of crust to filling was at least 1/2. You were eating equal parts or more of crust to filling. The apple filling was extraordinarily plain and the same with the chocolate. Very plain and with way too much crust for this size of a pie! We should have gotten a pie at the first place we thought of - Costco. Their pumpkin pies work when I am not prepared to make one for the weekend. We have had their other pies and for Tucson this is the only place to reliably get a pie that is not frozen nor sat on the shelf for days at a grocery store. Costco is just down the street from Back Dough.
M M — Google review
I went for the pie. Let me tell y’all, I love seeing local shops pop up on my Google news. Saw an article ranking the best pies in Arizona and Back Dough was on the list. Local and founded in Tucson. I live in Avondale but when I saw this I marked it in my places I want to visit. I didn’t know it was related to Beyond Bread. Anyway my guy and I took a weekend trip to Tucson and we stopped here. He got the German Chocolate and I got the banana cream pies. We ended up taking them back home to Avondale with us. So good though!!!! I can’t wait to visit again cause we’re planning to get here early for the best selections. Love the sizes and the varieties. We’ll be returning for sure.
Kawana W — Google review
A special little place hidden behind Beyond Bread! I have been going to this location for years, and I had no idea this gem was hidden in the back! Had several pies, and a quiche, and I gotta say, the crust, or dough, is definitely something to write home about. Place typically remains empty and we felt very safe entering the establishment and picking up several pies. We will definitely be returning!
Patrick D — Google review
Love the german chocolate pie! The key lime pie has real lime juice super tart but fresh whipped cream evens it out beautifully. The kahlua is chocolate with cream cheese like filling also balanced amazingly.

Nestled in Tucson, Sydney's Sweet Shoppe is a delightful haven for dessert lovers, showcasing an impressive array of handmade cream and fruit pies. From timeless classics like lemon meringue and cherry to inventive flavors such as vanilla almond cream and blueberry sour cream, there's something to satisfy every palate. If you're not in the mood for pie, their Sour Cream Cheesecake and Texas Sheet Cake are equally tempting options.
I stopped in to Sydney's and she was very friendly and the place is spotless! Her cheesecakes are delicious not to sweet but enough to satisfy your sweet cravings. She had a great dinner in setup and stayed open 15 minutes passed closing so we could enjoy our dessert! I live in Phoenix but this will definitely be my go to stop whenever im in town.

Sydney’s Sweet Shoppe is truly a local gem here in Tucson! We tried the red velvet cupcake, pumpkin spice cupcake, lemon meringue pie, pumpkin pie crumble, and carrot cake, and every single item was packed with flavor. The cupcakes were incredibly moist — something that’s surprisingly hard to find! We literally can never find a place that makes cupcakes this soft, rich, and full of delicious flavor. Each bite tasted freshly made with care and quality ingredients. The service was amazing. The staff took such great care of us and made us feel right at home. The atmosphere is beautiful, cozy, and relaxing, making it the perfect place to unwind or enjoy dessert with friends. We’re so proud to have this local spot right here in our community. Highly recommend stopping by Sydney’s Sweet Shoppe — it’s worth every bite!

The cutest pie shop I have seen in awhile! The owner is so sweet! She gave my son a sticker and it made his day!! We got three slice and they all were delicious!! Crust was amazing! We got a lemon meringue pie, a blackberry sour cream pie and an almond pie. Forgot the name of the almond one. We loved all of them!! Give them a try for sure !!
Binti T — Google review
These pies make any occasion special. They are premium quality made with only the finest ingredients. Their appearance and flavor have the Wow factor. It’s the best pie any of us have had in our lives! If you are looking for superb, heavenly, delectable, divine you have found the right place. Nothing compares to Sydney’s Sweets!
J D — Google review
Let me start by saying that the review below mine is silly. Homemade key lime doesn't include green food coloring. I got the strawberry rhubarb pie. It was good. The crust was obviously made in the back and the flavor was good. It was a nice treat. I only prefer homemade desserts wanted to give this place a try after hearing about it for so long. The staff member at the front was friendly. The ambiance was very nice. It is clean and everything is clearly fresh. If you are the type who like homemade pies and understand that you need to pay more for a good thing, this is your place. If you prefer "homemade" pies to be the same price as spouts, this is not the place for you.
Ronnie H — Google review
I absolutely love Sydney’s Sweet Shoppe in Tucson! From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted with warm smiles and a cozy, impeccably clean space, just as I’d read in other great reviews. The real star, of course, is the pie. Every flavor I’ve tried, from key lime and raspberry to lemon meringue and banana cream, is fantastically fresh and bursting with flavor. Sydney herself is as sweet as her creations. She’s extremely friendly and accommodating, offering private tastings, delivery, setup, and thoughtful packaging (especially helpful for events like weddings). Her attention to detail is amazing: on pie days, she stays late to ensure everything is perfect, and her mini pies are a guest favorite, beautifully boxed and displayed. It’s no surprise she’s been voted Best Bakery in Tucson since 2020. Whether it’s a cozy bite for yourself or a show‑stopping dessert table for a celebration, this place delivers every single time. Highly, highly recommended, Sydney sets the gold standard for pies and service in Tucson!
Benjamin G — Google review
I’ve had the pleasure of trying nearly every flavor of pie at this bakery, and I can confidently say that each one has been absolutely delicious. As someone who follows a gluten-free diet, I make it a point to visit almost every Friday for the gluten-free options. Over the past six months, I’ve ordered several whole gluten-free pies, and each one has been nothing short of wonderful. The staff here is always friendly, welcoming, and eager to help, which makes every visit even more enjoyable. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, truly making it a great place to relax and indulge. Highly recommend!
Melisha E — Google review
My daughter asked me to go and try some pie with her. We had derby pie and strawberry-rhubarb pie. The strawberry-rhubarb pie was really good. They go with a little more strawberry than rhubarb, but that means a good balanced flavor without adding a bunch of sugar. Very well done! I've only had derby pie a couple of times and this was quite good. Good flavor. It's a sweeter pie, but it's good ingredients and not a "sugar bomb." Both crusts were really good too.
