Restaurant
Sage Restaurant offers refined New American cuisine with global influences in an elegant and understated setting. It is renowned for its decadent brunch options, including brioche French toast and Gulf blue crab cakes Benedict with a Creole twist. The modern elegance of the atmosphere, complemented by a relaxing patio, makes it suitable for solo dining, romantic dates, or gatherings with friends.
My husband surprised me and our daughter with dinner at Sage. He drove past and was curious so we stopped. It was on my list of places I wanted to try in a date night. We all were very underdressed to say the least. We arrived and they normally serve based on reservations and we did not have one. The host was so friendly and accommodating and sat us right away. The ambience was so nice and the server was also friendly and helpful in helping us make our selections. We had the deviled eggs appetizer and I had the pork chop and my husband the lamb chop and were exploding with flavor. Can’t wait to return for a date night!

I’m so in love this amazing top-tier restaurant that I was referred by from Ginna and Justin, I hope I spelled his name correctly, but he was A server. He was absolutely the best I love the way it came to check on us and give us the best comfort 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰❤️
Hope F — Google review
I’ll start off by saying the service was terrific. Summer exhibited a high degree of attentiveness and courtesy. The food was a mixed bag. I started off with the pimento cheese which was extremely salty. However, the celery and carrots counteracted the salinity of the pimento cheese. So that ended up being a good dish. The flatbread was confusing because it was round like a pizza, but there wasn’t much depth in the flavors. Flatbreads are generally rectangular in shape. As for the shrimp burger, it was also excessively salty, but cooked decently. It came with a salad that was forgettable. They offered an up charge of $2 for fries which I found exorbitant since most restaurants generally give the fries without charge to accompany the burger. This is a place you visit for the ambience and service more than the food. If you’re looking for high-quality food, this place is a hard pass.
Affan G — Google review
Wow the presentation is beautiful and full attention to detail. The flavor and texture is amazing. Pork chops macaroni and cheee, salmon chicken can’t go wrong. Right down to the bread. One of my top Tallahasee restaurants. A hidden gem !!! Chefs recipes are original, surprises your tongue with delights.

While our waitress was pleasant today at lunch, it took 2 hours to have lunch there! After one hour and still no food, we inquired about how much longer and was told it was coming. Another 15 minutes went by before we were served. Dessert took another 15 minutes. We were the first people in the restaurant for lunch at 11:00 am. This is the fault of the kitchen, not the waitress. That said, the food was good - except perhaps too salty.
Julia S — Google review
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Sage, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. We began with the Caesar salad appetizer, which was crisp, fresh, and perfectly dressed without being overwhelming. For the main course, I ordered the prime ribeye, and it was absolutely outstanding—tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. To finish, the chocolate cake dessert was rich, decadent, and the perfect sweet ending to the meal. Overall, Sage delivered on every level—excellent food, great atmosphere, and attentive service. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a delightful dining experience.

This place hit on all cylinders tonight. Alison, our server, was so attentive and crafted a wonderful evening for us. The food was outstanding overall and we enjoyed a very relaxed, 3-hour meal with friends. This is what a great dining experience is all about.

Food is solid. Chefs know how to cook steak. Atmosphere is nice. Watress was good. 4-4.5 stars accross the board. My only critique is appetizer and especially desserts portions are extremely small.

Table 23 is a charming restaurant known for its cozy ambiance and Southern-style cuisine with a modern twist. Located in the heart of Midtown, it offers a degustation-style dining experience that showcases Tallahassee's food and culture. Chef Justin Brown's passion for using fresh, local ingredients shines through the frequently changing tasting menus, which feature surprising flavor combinations and intricate plating presentations.
My husband and I have been wanting to try this place. The only downside was that we had to wait almost an hour on a Friday night. However, we attempted to get a reservation earlier that day but they were already full! I got the redfish and it was so good! My husband got the coffee rubbed ribeye and he said the steak was good but it was unevenly cooked. We also got the house made chips as an appetizer and those were ridiculously good. However, those that like a quiet dinner, this is not the place for you! We couldn’t even get to the bar there were so many people, and it gets quite loud in there. The environment was fun and relaxing. The porch was where everyone wanted to be, so we were fine with our table inside, when though the weather was amazing. Overall, I would recommend but make a reservation in advance to avoid wait times.
Lauren E — Google review
Table 23 is a Tallahassee restaurant staple and it showed its glory during my experience! I ordered the Gulf Grouper with grits instead of corn and my visitor ordered the brisket tacos. Everything was very flavorful and delicious! The only improvement I have is the service. Our service was very subpar. We didn’t receive refills, bread requests, etc. in a timely manner but the larger party next to us did. We would appreciate that all tables regardless if they’re 2 people or 10 have the same service. Other than that, couldn’t be better!
Metrius H — Google review
The service from our waitress Lilly was amazing. She's knowledgeable of the menu and spot on with recommendations! The food was pretty amazing, we sat in the back corner by the fireplace, but we had to fight the occasional fly because it's almost by the back door to outside dining, lol! The atmosphere was a little dry, and multiple people stared as tho we were on display as opposed to their own! The 23 Burger was cooked to perfection, as well as the herb crusted chicken... We spent around $130 which was worth it to me for two people! I'd come back again probably with a different seating area, and less wasabi on my Blackened Tuna appetizer which the heat of it can totally sneak up on your taste buds mixed with the Bobby's iced tea drink, will fire up the ole mouth🥵🤭

I went here 08/09 for my anniversary. The food came out fresh, tasty and fast. Our server Jovana B. was so sweet and quick even letting us know something was missing and bringing it to us before we noticed. Thank you, definitely coming back !

If you’re in town and looking for some good food you gotta try Table 23. Perkins was the best! Very friendly and attentive. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was just as good. The covered deck had fans and was nice even on a hot June afternoon.
Megan W — Google review
Our waiter park AKA Perkins was amazing. His eyes will look in your soul and he smells really good. He doesn’t even write down the order that’s how good he is.

Wow. I wish I came here sooner. These pork chops were out of this world. Fantastic spot. Will come back again to experience more of the great food. The Amore Life indeed.

Madison Social is a popular restaurant located in the vibrant College Town district of Tallahassee, Florida. It offers clever pub fare in a cool, industrial setting with a covered patio, making it an ideal spot for brunch with a lively atmosphere. The restaurant is known for its delectable food such as the famous spiced honey chicken and waffles, along with a variety of drinks including mimosas.
Our daughter goes to school at FSU. She was getting married and we called about doing a reception party/gathering with her friends to celebrate. (This was after calling multiple places that didn't even call back) Spoke with Rachel right away. She was GREAT! So easy to work with and great communication. We decided to rent out the side room with an open balcony. The rental, food choices, and flexibility were great. We decided to do a sit-down dinner and then open for social events afterward. When we get there they even had menus with there names on them and everything set up ready to go. We had 2 servers who were also amazing and did a fantastic job. Once the social event started, workers were on it!. From set up, service, attention to detail, accommodations, breakdown, and everything in between, it was done with ease. If I could give them 10 stars, I would. Our daughter had an amazing time, and I can't thank them enough. I would recommend them to anyone I could.

Jake I can say without hesitation that Jake Panzella is the best bartender I’ve ever had the joy of being served by. From the moment I sat down, Jake’s energy, professionalism, and effortless charm set the tone for an unforgettable experience. He’s not just slinging drinks — he’s crafting experiences. Jake’s knowledge of cocktails is next-level. Whether you’re ordering a classic or looking for something off the beaten path, he nails it every time. He remembered my favorite drink after just one visit and somehow made it even better the second time. But what truly sets Jake apart is his personality. He’s warm, attentive, genuinely funny, and treats every guest like they’re the most important person at the bar. It's rare to find someone who can keep a whole crowd engaged while still providing personalized service — but Jake makes it look easy. If you’re lucky enough to be at a bar where Jake is behind the counter, stay. You won’t find a better bartender — or a better vibe — anywhere else.

Service and ambiance is always great here! Brunch is great and the view is gorgeous outside. Our server Jessica was wonderful and so attentive! She got our order out quickly and on point. Our food was delicious and drinks here are yum and they get you right. The mimosa pitcher is a steal. Aux never misses.

As y’all can see, food got demolished. I didn’t even think to take a picture of it when it came out. I literally just started munching away 😭 this was before and after my last bite lol was super good - I had the Good Day Toast & my boyfriend had the Chicken & Waffles, both were phenomenal and the service was lovely even with the post-church rush. This was our first brunch at MadSo but it for sure won’t be our last! 10/10 would recommend.
MAY Z — Google review
I had the time of my life at MadSo on game day. Kind of pricey to get in but had a blast. The wait time was too long for food so we just hit the bar since Bert was serving shots. Epic morning. We will be back.
David S — Google review
Very mixed. The building is nice. 😎. The staff seemed uninterested in customers. I got a nice fish sandwich and 2 beers. I had to flag down the server to get a 2nd beer. They were very energetic to get a card to hold as I guess it must be normal here to skip out on the tab. The glass was dirty they brought for my beer…. I stopped her from pouring the beer to get a clean glass…. Beer abuse! All you need to do is look at it when you pick it up but that’s means a server has to give a shit. No one picked up anything including dishes that where sitting around or empty cans. The food was ok, nothing great but not bad. Beer is beer. Dirty glasses and staff that seem to not give a rip leave a lasting impression. I would skip it and find someplace else with personality. $14 sandwich, $8 beer. I guess that’s the norm but 👎 from me.
Eric L — Google review
My daughter recommended we check out Madison Social this week, and I’m so glad we did! I was craving sweet potato fries and a margarita, and both absolutely delivered. The food was delicious, the drinks were really good, and everything came out in a timely manner. What stood out most was the service, every team member who stopped by our table asked if we needed anything else, and we felt completely taken care of from start to finish. My husband’s beer came out a little warm, but when he kindly asked for a colder one, our server quickly fixed it with no issue. Great vibe, great food, and great service. We’ll definitely be back. So impressed.
Image L — Google review
I’ve always really enjoyed the food and atmosphere at your restaurant, which is why I continue to come back. However, I’ve consistently had a disappointing experience with one particular server who I’ve been seated with multiple times recently. On several occasions, I’ve waited over 10 minutes just to be greeted at the table by Kai, even during times when the restaurant wasn’t busy. Service throughout the meal such as placing orders, receiving drinks, and getting the check has taken unusually long, often stretching the visit to over two hours. I’ve also frequently had to flag the server down just for basic requests like water refills. While I understand that every server can have an off day, this has been a repeated issue that’s impacted the overall dining experience. I’m sharing this feedback in hopes that it can be addressed, as I genuinely enjoy the restaurant.

Nestled in the heart of Kleman Plaza, The Egg Cafe & Eatery is a delightful spot to savor a Southern-style brunch. Renowned for its delectable eggs Benedict dishes like the savory Crab Cakes Benny, this gem also offers an array of sandwiches and burgers for those leaning towards lunch.
I recently visited the Egg Cafe at 3740 Austin Davis Ave, in Tallahassee, FL. I had a very good experience at this place. It's appears to be a busy place but that didn't impact my server who did a nice job. I got a bowl like meal which was really delicious. A very good place for an above average breakfast.
Greg K — Google review
You have to try the Surf and Turf Eggs Benedict! The crab cake is delicious, and the steak was cooked beautifully. Just a tip—skip the asparagus; it throws off the balance of the dish. And the biscuits and gravy? Amazing! The biscuit was huge, fluffy, and paired perfectly with the smoky sausage gravy. Plus, our server Alexandria was a gem! She was so sweet and attentive, even with the breakfast rush in full swing. Highly recommend!
Lala C — Google review
The food was good. What really made this place for me was our server Lexi. Attentive but not overbearing, she was knowledgeable, not only with the food items, but the cocktails as well. I would have walked away from the Egg Cafe & Eatery and never thought of it again (it's kinda ducked off in the cut) except for Lexi's exceptional service. Over all good food good atmosphere phenomenal service. I'm not sure but I think I have dined at other locations in Destin and found them to be pleasant as well. Just saying.... To management: the hostess or at least the one who sat us kinda sucked. We dined at around 11:30 on 7/23.

Enjoyed a great breakfast at this place in Tallahassee. The service was excellent. No wait and the staff is so friendly. The food was fantastic. Definitely recommend. I have a feeling everything is delicious. The atmosphere is so cozy and inviting. We will definitely be back.

This is by far one of my favorite breakfast spots. They have people that genuinely show care for the customers and they are not shy to chat. Apart from great service and great food, this is what sets them apart. I also like ther patio area, secluded from noise of the main road and yet accessible for all, kids and elders included. There's always ample free parking space even when the restaurant is packed. I love their olmettes of which I tried almost all and great eggs Benedict speak volumes! Recommend for locals as well as travelers. You might find yourself coming back to Tallahassee just to grab this breakfast.
Nebojša B — Google review
Went in to get some breakfast before flying out from TLH. Roughly 30m from the airport, so keep that in mind if you do the same. The food was great and the service matched. Our seating request was accommodated (newborn with us) and the server was very pleasant from start to finish.

Catalina Cafe is a popular coffee shop known for its carefully sourced coffee and espresso, as well as its selection of sandwiches and homemade pastries. The cafe has been a hub for coffee enthusiasts for years, roasting the finest beans on-site with great passion. Whether you want to relax by the window with a book, grab a quick pick-me-up, or take your coffee for a stroll around Florida State University campus, Catalina Cafe offers an inviting atmosphere.
the coffee and breakfast was so dang good here that it made me sad i'm not from the area 😭 i got the iced catalina mocha and bec on an asiago bagel and both were delicious !!! the coffee has a wonderful flavor and i love that this shop is very accommodating to customizations (i prefer oat milk in my coffee). and don't even get me started on that fluffy egg..... 🤯 also a huge fan of the ambiance and abundance of outdoor seating. it was nice and cool out today so i got to enjoy my brekkie outside and people watch lol. 10/10 will come back whenever i'm in town <3

We decided to come here because they make their own flavor syrups and I love that kind of thing. I'm a huge fan! I'm pregnant so no coffee but their chai is the best I've had! I also got the "croffle" sandwich and it was absolutely killer. My friend got the everything bagel with cream cheese, bagel was awesome and had the perfect amount of cream cheese on it. She also said her latte (caramel vanilla) was great! The gentleman who took our order was so nice and friendly and explained some menu items for me. The food and drinks came out super fast too! The atmosphere is exactly what you want out of Collegetown, chill and comfortable. The chairs are also great, which is a silly side note but so many cafes have uncomfortable chairs I don't want to sit in for more than 10 minutes!
Ryan W — Google review
We were looking for a quick bite and some coffee and stumbled on this place. Apparently, the coffee was phenomenal. My boyfriend kept raving on how incredibly good his cup of black coffee was. We ordered two breakfast sandwiches that were good. My only complaint would be that upon paying, the cashier said she'll bring our food since we decided to sit outside. She brought the coffee but they totally forgot about our food. After realizing how long we were waiting, I went inside to follow up and a different cashier was there and gave us our food which means someone wasn't communicating. Not a huge deal though.

Tried this little family owned cafe on Gaines St. this morning for breakfast and it was great! Food and coffee was hot and full of flavor and staff was very friendly. I had a breakfast bowl with egg, grilled veggies, provolone cheese, and bacon and my husband had the French toast sandwich. Definitely will be back!

Really enjoyed my visit here. Very popular for a reason. Fast service, staff very friendly. We had the hungry tally with ciabatta bread and the lox bagel, along with a latte. Everything was excellent. I’ll be back. Well done.

This is such a unique and fun cafe! Their chai tea has a great spice and is so much better than the Tazo/Oregon chai concentrate many cafes use. We also tried the egg vegetable bowl and it was absolutely amazing. We were so impressed.

Their premium coffee is top-notch, absolutely delicious, and brewed to perfection. A nice bagel shop that recently morphed into a breakfast/lunch destination. They now share space (and restrooms) with Vale Food Company. They no longer offer pizza. Staff is friendly. Cubsta coffee cubes are a fantastic idea for enjoying iced coffee without allowing it to get watered down as it melts.
Earl — Google review
The most authentic New York deli-style bagel that you can get in Tallahassee! Brooklyn Water Bagel has a great location, especially for students, in the heart of College Town, just down the street from popular spots like Madison Social and Township. The bagels, though, are what brought me across town! Super fresh and able to be eaten even cold and not toasted (like real New Yorkers do apparently), the bagels come in a variety of flavors and are ready to be topped with a variety of spreads. I loved the everything and pumpernickel bagels that I tried with the scallion and veggie spreads. If you want to branch out beyond the bagels, there are quite a few breakfast sandwiches and omelets to keep you happy. Overall, Brooklyn Water Bagel has the best bagels that you can get in Tallahassee, keeping even die-hard New Yorkers happy!

Ordered a cheese, tomato, and bacon omelette which definitely burnt. Not too much to be inedible but it was not good. The coffee was ok. The bagel was the highlight of the order. A Black Russian seeded bagel. The bagel was mediocre at best so that's saying a lot! Regretted ordering from this place. Won't order here again.

Good customer service and a great bagel!! They prepared my life and bagel open-faced just how I like it. The coffee is always delicious and they have lots of options. Great place to do a breakfast date or meet for coffee. Super atmosphere.

Had the WORST experience. I order an iced coffee and the worker was so rude and REFUSED to give me an espresso shot after I have asked for one more than FIVE times. I had to beg for one espresso shot and look like a fool while the worker berated me in front of the whole place and pointed her fingers in my face telling me I don't know what I am talking about. I do not recommend this place if you have any self-respect and don't want someone who WORKS to refuse you a simple product they are selling.
Alicia — Google review
Coffee is excellent, and food is fairly priced for the experience. Occasionally the coffee creamer(s) will be out and the staff will bring out more ASAP if they have it available. Always a great time coming here and is one of my favorite little spots by campus!

The Sweet Shop is a popular coffee shop near Florida State University that has a retro feel. It has plenty of seating and is perfect for studying or catching up with friends. It also has an excellent selection of baked goods, including pastries, cakes, pies, and tarts.
My go-to breakfast : everything eggs bagel 🥯 with cream cheese on the side, and my americano ☕️. Love the owners, authentic good people:))
Yesmine M — Google review
Sweet shop is, unfortunately, a campus staple. With prime location like that facing Landis Green, you know whoever takes up that lease is going to be a superstar. Sadly, the people that did don’t do anything phenomenally, per say. It’s an undoubtably historical monument in regards to the food and drink scene in Tallahassee. However, having a tenured status, doesn’t translate to delicious food. Stop by, maybe try one of their 100 menu items (excluding drinks). The character of the interior will charm you, the customer service will alarm you, and you’ll be left thinking, “If only this tasted a little better.”
Ramzi R — Google review
The Sweet Shop is the sweet spot! 100 years is a long time, especially for Tallahassee, where many local gems seem to get washed away in the tide of so-called progression. This is perhaps my favorite location in the city and I hope it lasts another 100 years. I've seen a lot of complaints about the offerings, the staff, and the owner. However, I've not had one bad experience. While I haven't sampled every item on the menu, what I have gotten has been great. The owner is friendly and was welcoming from our first visit, even as I stumbled through his self-order kiosk. My fiancee and I love coming in for a little snack, and chatting about Michigan and the differences we've experienced. He's from the same town as my dad, and close to the same as my fiancee, even if I'm from PA myself. Some points: 1. Know what you want, and be realistic It seems a lot of people dislike this place because they expect a 5 star restaurant. I see people complain about the milkshakes and other menu items, but if you take a minute and look at the menu, you'll know what to expect. Don't order a milkshake that's made differently, knowing it looks different, and then complain. If you're realistic, and take a minute to study what's available, you'll likely order something you'll like instead of a false expectation. He's pretty up front about what's on the menu, which I appreciate. 2. The boba is fantastic, people are insane. I've gone DAILY for a bubble tea because I love the jelly bubbles. I believe they're likely konjac or something similar, but I love them. I only wish there was an option for extra to be added to my cup. 3. Their taro is smooth and good. It's unlike others I've had, but very good. 4. The snow cones are good and perfect for hot days. 5. I love the bagels. They are a perfect blend of chewy and toasty. 6. While I can't comment on some interactions that people have had with owner, none of mine have been negative. I'm sure he deals with some doozies, being on campus. We all have bad days. I only wish I'd have an opportunity to work with him. If you're reading this, hit me up if you need any writing, marketing, or social media work. 7. The atmosphere is great. I like reading the writing on the wall. I hope that continues. AC works well, and the place is overall clean, cleaner than other places I've been recently. 8. The location is fantastic. Easy access. My only gripe is that I wish they were open longer. Historically, they were open pretty late. I guess they only have so many staff though, and they may have other engagements. I'd love to pop in again later in the day if they were open even until 8 or 9pm. Overall, they are a great place to grab a treat or a snack, or something more substantial. Pricing is what you'd expect, or even cheaper for some items, and the atmosphere is either lively, or quiet and relaxed depending on when you go. I spend about $10 per visit, for 2 people to get something. They don't force tipping either, unlike other places, even though I don't mind tipping, it's nice to not feel like you have to because you're being stared at as you check out on the touch screen. Don't let the bad reviews scare you off. I hope that The Sweet Shop will outlive me, I'll look for it in my next life. Here's to 100 more! The Sweet Shop is the sweetest remaining Tallahassee icon, by far. If only I had the funds to reopen Sherrod's or The Phyrst nextdoor again.

Small business at its finest. I the owner kept the restaurant open for a few extra minutes while I ordered. When I added some fresh strawberries to my order he just included them and said no charge. All day breakfast sandwiches were fabulous. So convenient for the students.
Sam S — Google review
Honestly never have bad things to say but I do not recommend this place... I ordered a pink chai latte at the kisok, under the description is said vanilla/strawberry so I thought that would be a fun chai flavor to try. And when I get the drink it literally tastes like watered down strawberry milk. I ask the man if I can switch it out and he said no they don't do that so I ask if I can add more chai and he says "there's no chai in the drink it's vanilla been and strawberry it says on the kiosk" in a rude tone. It also said "PINK CHAI LATTE!" Why not call it a vanilla bean strawberry milk then?? I hate to complain but when I pay $6 for a bland strawberry milk and he refuses to switch it out or make it better and is rude on top of it I'm gonna give this place a bad review. I guess there's a first time for everything. Also the parking isn’t free.

My favourite restaurant in all of Tallahassee. Hands-down the best and friendliest owner if you look up for your phone for 0.2 seconds to thank him genuinely. I've known him since ~12 years ago and he would always hand-deliver food across the street in summer camps, and we'd always say hi after camps ended. He cares about the food and the regulars. He's remembered my name and face for years. A great and quiet environment to study or have a small gathering of friends. The food is good quality for a college hangout spot, and the staff are friendly if you're feeling up to talking. My family will always come back to the Sweet Shop :)
Michele H — Google review
Today, I was at Sweet Shop when an angry customer threw a drink in the face of the owner. The customer was yelling and causing a scene from an alleged grievance that I do not know about. However, what I can say is how calm and professional the staff and owner were. I have been to the Sweet Shop Cafe for many years, and was really impressed with how well the staff were able to hold their composure during a high-tension event.
Jack M — Google review
Went here and got a shaved ice, was upset they didn’t have bubblegum but the mix of strawberry and watermelon was good. Whenever I’m sad I read the negative reviews and the comebacks from the owner. Never had a bad experience. Sucks it closes at 5 but it opens early which is nice as I take morning classes. I also go to UF so I’ve been here maybe 4 times.

Vale Food Co. in Collegetown is a popular spot offering a variety of fresh and healthy options, including acai bowls, poke bowls, and customizable hot bar bowls. The bright and open eatery caters to vegetarians, vegans, and those with gluten intolerance. Their menu includes protein-packed toasts like nut butter toast topped with fruit and served with a salad. It's known as a place where you can indulge without feeling guilty afterward.
I had an amazing experience at Vale Vegan in Tallahassee! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming and fresh. The menu is full of nutritious, flavorful options that make healthy eating exciting. I ordered the açaí bowl and a custom vegan bowl, and both were absolutely delicious—packed with color, texture, and taste. You can tell everything is made with care and quality ingredients. The staff was super friendly and helpful, and the service was quick even though the place was busy. Whether you’re vegan or just looking for a wholesome meal, Vale is definitely worth the visit. I’ll absolutely be coming back—this place is a gem in Tallahassee!

Place use to be great!! Last few visit I started to see a decline in the quality of food so I gave them a break. Went there tonight first time in a few months and it was absolutely horrendous!! Had the regular size bowl and all of the items were overcooked! Added shrimp for $4.00 and they gave me only two pieces of shrimp! I honestly think the quality of food depends on the shift! Day shift food always on point evening and night shift is bad! Also these guys start cleaning and removing food way too early! It’s normal to start seeing them remove and cleaning around 8:00. Really really disappointed
Robert G — Google review
What a HUGE disappointment! I ordered online and the ordering process was a nightmare only because I was trying to handle my toddler at the same time while also being forced to “sign up” to place an order . Then I get the food and they were out of everything but before calling me to tell me, i get a bowl filled with stuff I dont want. They were out of avocado, out of the black bean/chickpea, out of the vinaigrette/ their payment system was down so I couldn’t get a refund, i got nasty onion-filled guacamole on my bowl and I didn’t want that because I hate onions, haha! The quinoa was cooked so poorly it was crunchy (see pic) I 10000000% DO NOT recommend this place and I’m bummed it cost me so much to basically throw a bowl away that I dont want. I will eat most of it because I dont waste food and I know I sound like a “karen” but this is not how a business should be run. The food doesn’t taste good either. The sweet potatoes still taste raw and crunchy quinoa is inedible. It’s poorly made. We’ll be going to playa bowls for smoothie bowls instead of here. Just bummed. The staff were nice though. Street parking.

I used to love this place but the last 2 times have not been good. Today my steak looked greenish-gray. I showed a coworker that was also super concerned by the way it looked. They also never follow special instructions. We asked multiple times for utensils and we never get them. Idk how you're supposed to eat rice without utensils.
Amy H — Google review
this is was my first time trying vale foods and i had such a wonderful experience. The inside was so pretty and all the workers were sooo kind. They were very patient with me because I didn’t know what to get because it was my first time here, but they were all so kind. I will definitely plan to come back And try more things on the menu !!

I placed an order using Uber Eats, at which they had an offer for the Chicken Ceaser wrap for $9.99 regular price is $19.99. The order also included cookies and Mac & Cheese as well. When I received the order there was a no Mac and cheese, I initially ordered 2 wraps and 2 cookies, I only received 1 chicken ceaser wrap. I called Vale to address the issue and they kindly listened and said I could come in the next day and receive the items I did not receive. So the next day after work I arrive to follow up on there promise and low and behold, the Cashier seems cool yet spaced... a little too spaced out honestly. I explained why im here, he said he would get in the order give about 5 minutes it should be done... 10 minutes later and 3-4 customers orders getting made and paid .. I ask about mine... he repeats the exact same thing from earlier, " Give me about 5 minutes, I got you" No you dont... not after wasting 20+ minutes of my time for lack of professionalism and sub par customer service. That experience was unforgivable.. I will spend another penny with them. I seem to never get the same friendly courtesy as white college students male or female... it's crazy... even Delivery guy noticed how they ignored him and took awhile to acknowledge him for service. Thats needs to stop... treat everybody with due respect or just let it me known you dont like to serve males or non whites or whatever the case may be... here I am supporting a business that should even exist.

The staff are always courteous and kind, no complaints there. The food has gotten more expensive while the serving sizes have shrunk for the healthiest items. It’s no longer a good value proposition. When we do still come (once every few months when it used to be 1-2 times a week), they’re always out of something I was excited to get. I’m most annoyed about veggies. You used to get a big heaping portion of your choice of many good options. Now it’s a few stalks of broccoli overwhelmed by whatever base you choose. It doesn’t feel healthy like it used to.
Danny B — Google review
Definitely don't order takeout from these guys. We ordered 3 bowls, after 30 minutes we get a call saying they have none of the veggies we ordered. Maybe this can be avoided by placing order on the phone with them.

Vegetarian restaurant
Located in Tallahassee, Florida, The Bark is a spacious and relaxed restaurant and bar adorned with vibrant murals. This premier vegetarian establishment offers a diverse menu featuring vegan cuisine and creative cocktails. Their featured items include the Banh Mi, Beet Burger, and Asian Delight Salad. The venue also serves as an event space and offers a delectable weekend brunch from 11 am to 3 pm.
Had a great lunch at The Bark. The restaurant is colorful and roomy. It was quiet when we were there but looks like the place also rocks. I appreciate seeing a pool table. Vegan food; we chose varied items, and they were all excellent.

I had one of the best vegetarian burgers ever! Was a new adventure because I had never ever eaten beets before. It was soooo good! Had the flavor of a grilled burger with even a hint of barbecue sauce, tho there was none. The bun was fresh and delicious! Opted for non-vegan cheese, but it was available. Large enough to take home half for another meal. Loved the murals, too! Will definitely return again!

Ok, so to let you all know, I check out reviews as well, I tried this restaurant today to see if it was all that I have read, and it is. Tuck away in its own corner of the world. I like it. To get away from the outside world and just enjoy good vegan food, this is your spot. Very eccentric with a laid-back atmosphere. The person taking my order recommended the roasted potato, and I'm glad he did. They were delicious. And the sandwich, although I ruined the beautiful of it, was just as delicious. I shall return.😋😍😁

Love love love the food!! The vegan/ veggie version their f my favorites are better than the originals!! Between karaoke or metal bands the entertainment can be a bit much for dinner but the food is great!!

This is a vegan restaurant. We didn't know/see/read that about this place before deciding to go. It has a lot of atmosphere. The food was ok but just not my thing. They seem to be very social responsibility type restaurant. Check it out it unique. A trendy vibe.

One of my favorite Bahn Mi's in town - and the veggie burger is delicious as well. I enjoy their rotating specials and desserts, but it's hard to pass up on the go-to bahn mi. The food coming out of The Bark's kitchen rivals some of Tally's most hyped "fancy" spots. I'd choose this over some of those spots any day!
Amy G — Google review
We were in the area and were excited to try a new vegetarian spot. The atmosphere was great and the staff was friendly. We knew the food was scratch made so the wait wasn’t expected. We ordered the Oyster Mushroom Po’Boy and the Hot Honey Chikin sandwich. The side dish of potatoes was addictive and the house ginger lemonade was on point. Everything else just didn’t meet expectations. The chicken was hard and the po’boy was really salty. Maybe they had a bad day in the kitchen because most of the other reviews were positive. I’ll give them another try when next in the area but this first visit wasn’t it.
Neil C — Google review
The loaded vegan mac and cheese was sooo good! I added The best tempeh I’ve ever had. My husband’s pesto tempeh sandwich wasn’t the greatest, kinda dry. Small parking lot, no street parking. I can’t comment on bathrooms or atmosphere because I didn’t go inside, but my husband said it was kinda dingy- like a hippie bar (which sounds cool to me). It’s junk food, but it was worth stopping at as we drive through the area.

Eternal Grounds Coffee House is a Christian-based coffee shop located on Village Square B. The cozy interior features plush leather seats and wooden tables, creating a welcoming atmosphere for visitors. Patrons praise the affordable prices and friendly service, with special mention of Mrs. Tobi's exceptional memory and caring nature. The establishment also offers free Wi-Fi, making it a convenient spot to enjoy quality coffee, including organic brands like Lucky Goat Coffee.
The coffee is wonderful, but the service is awesomeness. Mrs. Tobi has an AMAZING memory. Very friendly, helpful, and an unmistakable caring heart. We live out of state, but she remembered my siblings and me by our second visit. (Actually apologized for not remembering all of our names and changed that by our 3rd.) I love what they are doing there with the table games and books they make available and we often pick up some of their 'transformed' mugs to use as special gifts. Love it all.
