The 24 best spots for fish and chips in Cincinnati

I had made a reservation a week in advance and really would have preferred to sit in the actual restaurant but was assigned a table in the bar section. If you make a reservation over a week in advance I would expect a table in the main dining area! I used the restroom before I left and there were a lot of open tables in the main dining area. My reservation was early enough they would have had time to turn the table before the dinner crowd arrived. There also seemed to be some confusion about whose section this was. Once that was sorted out I received great service from my waitress. A name like Shrimp Kisses is a lot to live up too. This appetizer was delish!!! Just the right combo of sweet and heat. The Salmon was perfectly cooked and the meal was very good.

It was our family’s first time at this restaurant and we absolutely loved it! It was a great atmosphere and delicious food. Our server, Lucas was phenomenal, making sure we were having an enjoyable time. We definitely plan on coming back here! The desserts were also very yummy!

The food is always good here. Decent flavor on items for a decent price. Our hostess and our server were nice and attentive.

We came to visit on our way home to Florida and our server Terrell had an amazing personality and unique serving style. The food is really good and the bread is even better. He even gave us his personal favorite combo, the tartar sauce with bread. So personable and so good!

David and Jawan were absolutely amazing! My boyfriend and I originally stopped in just for drinks to celebrate my birthday, but we ended up getting some appetizers and even cake. The food was incredible, and the service was truly memorable. We can’t wait to make this our go-to spot every time we’re back in town!

We went for our anniversary and had an amazing experience! Our Hostess and Waitress, Autumnly and Latrice, went above and beyond to make us feel special. They personalized our menu and even rolled one up with a bow for us to keep. The food was amazing and the drinks were great. It was overall a fabulous evening and I would highly recommend them to anyone

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had an absolutely outstanding experience at McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood & Steaks in Cincinnati. From the moment we sat down, the service was fabulous. Our server, Ashley, was truly spectacular—attentive, personable, and went above and beyond in every way. As restaurant owners ourselves, we know what great service looks like, and Ashley delivered it flawlessly. The food was equally incredible. The chicken and Wagyu steak were perfectly prepared, and the lobster bisque and clam chowder were both rich and delicious. The oysters on the half shell were fresh and spectacular, and the shrimp kisses might honestly be one of the best things I’ve ever tasted. This is a five-star experience all the way—for the food, the atmosphere, and especially for Ashley’s amazing service. We’ll absolutely be back!

I felt like I was on vacation in Siesta Key, Florida! Definitely vacation vibes , outstanding service and most importantly, outstanding food! You have to enter around the back of the building, that was a bit confusing as we thought they were closed. Believe me though, they are well worth finding. I would recommend better sit out front to direct you around the back parking lot.

Food was fairly decent. The fish sandwich was a little over cooked at the edges, but overall it was pretty decent. A small pin bone was found in the salmon on the salad. Not to be unexpected, but could have been a bit more careful. The fries and onion rings both came out really well, and I personally feel this is where they shine the most. The pier restaurant theme was interesting and I was into it. Staff was really friendly as well.

Everyone in our group LOVED their baked and grilled fish. My husband and I got the Icelandic Cod and we weren't a fan. It had the hard scratchy crust. There were 3 large pieces of fish. Perhaps if we had ordered the beer battered cod it would have changed my rating. After 3 bites of the hard crust i was giving away my pieces of fish as fast as I could. My mashed potatoes were ok and my broccoli was not good, it was chewy. I came home and got a snack because I was still hungry. The waitress was the best part of the dinner. She was terrific! The strangest part of the night was-we hadn't eaten here at the Pelican Reef years and we parked in front and it looked empty like it was closed. We called and asked which door we should enter. A female said "I guess the back" entrance. So we parked around back and called everyone in the group to go to the back. Our family member informed us the parking is in the front. We moved back around to the front. Another party in our group had walked to the front door and saw a small sign saying the downstairs was closed and the upper floor entrance was in the back. We again called our party and told them to park in the back. It would have been better if there was a better sign letting us know where to go.

This place was amazing!! We had our weekly lunch with our large family and everyone was happy. Great variety and pleasant atmosphere. Our waitress was very sweet and personable and offered great suggestions! Adding this place in rotation for us.

My first visit....The place had distanced tables and very clean atmosphere. The food was amazing in both taste and presentation. The Caesar Salad is very good. The lobster fritters with Jalapeno tartar sauce is delicious. Their Crab cakes are more Crab than cake and that was delicious and that fresh ocean taste with the twice bake potato and asparagus was soooo good. Their coconut Shrimp was great as you not only had the flaky coconut texture bit could taste a hint of the coconut. The shrimp comes with a pepper sauce that is not as peppery as it is sweet and delicious. This was indeed awesome food.

I had not been to Pelican's Reef in about 20 years but, always raved about it to my husband. I don't know why it took so long to get back here! The ambience is great! Very fun, and beachy. The staff was fantastic, and friendly. We started off with the lobster bisque and calamari. The bisque was hearty, and creamy, with just a hint of heat. I love how they crumble the crab meat into it, so that you get an abundance of crab in every bite, and not just a nugget here and there. The calamari was super crisp. Large body rings, along with the tentacles. It wasn't rubbery like most places. It was tender, and moist. I can see why it's rated best in Cincinnati! I ordered one of the specials of the day. It was a seared ahi tuna wrap. It had large, melt in your mouth, pieces of ahi, stuffed with a cabbage slaw, and a sweet teriyaki sauce. It was so delicious! My husband also ordered a special. It was a huge lobster roll. It had giant, meaty pieces of lobster, in a creamy dressing, with chopped green onions and tomatoes. It was quite delectable. For dessert, we had to try the peanut butter pie. OMG! It was not mealy but, silky, smooth, and very rich! Definitely not going to wait as long for our next visit!

To begin, the best service by far for such a busy restaurant! Be sure to ask for Brandy. When we arrived, the establishment was packed. We were in a line to be seated. Nonetheless, the staff were moving and we were seated in under five minutes. We had heard about this restaurant from another reviewer and wanted to give it a try. They are known for many really good entrees, but we came for the one on the top of their list. Their famous COD FISH LOG! Our drinks and salads were brought to the table in under five minutes. Brandy was quick even with having several other tables. All of the staff around us were moving quickly and efficiently. We were told by Brandy when ordering that the fish was hand breaded and fried when ordered. So, the wait could be up to 20 minutes. Considering how incredibly busy it was at the time, this was not surprising. Again, to our surprise, our entrees were brought good and hot to our table in under the 20 minute time. Everything was delicious! From their famous hot slaw, served hot and covered in bacon. To their sweet slaw and light rye slices of bread. The fish logs were definitely tasty. I ordered the small which was about four and a half to five inches long. My dinner partner ordered the large serving. This was a huge nine to ten inches long. This was served with rather large crinkle cut fries, fresh lemon and tarter sauce. Over all, the experience was pretty amazing. Brandy anticipated all of our needs and took care of them before we even anticipated them! The entrees were awesome. If I had to find one negative thing, it would be the salad. The dressing was good, the croutons were good and the cherry tomatoes were fresh. The lettuce tasted like it came from a bag though. It is a personal pet peeve. I grew up on a farm and there is definitely a noticable difference between fresh and bagged lettuce. Great job Lake Nina! Oh, by the way, give Brandy a raise. Finding service individuals like her is rare.

Our waitress was working on her Birthday! (Saturday, 21st) Best waitress award goes to her!💯 This was our very first dinning experience and it was good, wonderful, very nice dinner. The food was very good and nice portions too.

Very nice non chain restaurant. We were seeking a location for lent fish, and this place did not disappoint. We were able to get a seat immediately, and the service was pretty fast as well. I didn't remember photos until halfway through dinner. But the other photos are great representation. My only complaint is that the fish did not have much flavor from seasoning. But I use lemon or vinegar, so it was not that big of an issue. However, my husband had to add some salt to his. He said the chicken had a very good flavor and was decently seasoned. The coleslaw was better than I expected as well. I was also glad they had basic crinkle cut fries. I did grab a mixed drink, and my expectations were very low. Well, I was pleasantly surprised that it was very good. We sat inside, but I did notice there was some outdoor seating as well. We love supporting local businesses, so we will plan to return.

What a classic restaurant. They always provide good food and service. There is a reason they are always packed, there are few places like this. Their offerings are southern favorites like their fish log and hot slaw.

Somehow one of our party, food was missed in the kitchen. There were ten (10) of us so a larger party. She ordered a half a fish log with green beans and mashed potatoes. By the time she got her order everyone else had finished their meals. That was the only hiccup. Everything else was great!

Food orders always made to order. Delicious. Prices are amazing. Atmosphere clean and welcoming. Staff friendly. However, it seems once food is brought out the servers disappear until the bill is brought out which is long after we are done eating. We've never once been offered a refill on beverages. This is a continuous experience rather its 11am or 8pm. A simple mid meal check in would make our experience amazing. I would tip much more.

Absolutely love eating here. Hot slaw is amazing. I like the tavern chicken. My husband always gets the fish log. Fries are good. Love the homemade ranch! We sat at the corner booth... Unfortunately my husband had to kill 2 cockroachs during our meal :( they were crawling on the booth chair and he didn't want them crawling on him. Not a pleasant experience. Loved our server... Will be back and will sit somewhere else.

These people are rude as hell. I door dash a lot and mostly for people at work. We ALWAYS order and PAY for extra tartar sauce. WE NEVER GET IT. Today I ordered a couple of meals and ordered 8 extra tarter sauces. I then called the store to let them know to make sure it’s in my bags. The woman who answered the phone was very rude and very short. I asked her if she could make sure I get what I paid for. She told me she couldn’t because she’s not over that area. The place isn’t that big. She could’ve easily passed the message along. The phone is literally right there. I’m sure she looked at the tartar sauce while on the phone. Instead of saying SORRY ABOUT YOUR PREVIOUS EXPERIENCES, ILL LET THEM KNOW TO NOT FORGET YOUR SAUCES, she decided to tell me a lie “if it’s on the ticket, it’s in the bag” and then “have a nice day” click, hung up. Last time I’ll spend my money here. Got my food just now and guess what…..NO TARTER SAUCE!!! THIS PLACE IS A JOKE!

Never will I purchase from here again! The food was utterly disgusting!! My mom Even said it was not so hot! Didn’t want to refund money. Wanted to remake it was freshly made remaking wasn't going to help the taste. The quality and taste was horrible. The Old Alabama fish bar is gone. Wasted 13.99 don’t let the pictures fool you. The size of the perch was no bigger than my index finger. If it was even fish. It was so nasty. This was nothing like we ever tasted. The side peppers and onions were even nasty.! What happened to asking if you want condiments added they went to packets. One thing for certain one thing for sure I won’t be returning in the garbage it went!!!!!! Wouldn’t feed this to anyone or a dog!! Oh it made me sick and nauseous!! I recommend not eating here!!!

Food: My friend and I got the $13 dinner. It comes with 5 pieces of chicken, fries and an onion sauce. It's a good deal if you don't eat too much. Packaging: they use paper. It's great for the environment but if you are coming from afar, the paper will be torn before you get home. Atmosphere: the thing that keep coming up is the strong smell. It's normal for the place to smell but they might need to find a way for the air to circulate better

Hope someone from this establishment reads this, just go back to the same batter, the fish is definitely different from years ago. Something was changed, I don't know what but its definitely different, go back to the old recipe please! I know since covid some things had to change, but the way its cook now is way off.

They need some cornmeal battered fish Cincinnati is over done on beer batter battered nothing Southern about Mr. Alabama, might be owner hometown because this is not Southern fried fish here...it's like an upgrade of Long John Silvers with a Louisana flair of onions peppers mix on the side. The whiting always has bones in it. No where to park and yes the food was fair definitely consumable a little greasy on that battered batter. Fish was completely cooked.

Hands down the best fried fish I've ever had, especially the cod! The tartar sauce & peppers/onions really pull it all together. I go every time I'm in Cincinnati!

I had a really bad experience at Via Vite and felt completely disregarded as a guest. We arrived at 7:00 PM and were told there wouldn’t be a table available until 7:45 PM. That was fine—we agreed to wait. Since it was cold outside, we only stepped out for a quick 5-minute photo at Fountain Square and came right back to wait at the entrance. During that time, we watched multiple groups—who arrived after us and also didn’t have reservations—get seated before us. Some were parties of four or more, while we were just a party of three. It made no sense. We stood there for nearly 30 minutes with no updates, while at least six other groups were taken to their tables. We were the only ones left waiting. When I asked the host what was going on, her explanation was vague and dismissive. She claimed tables are assigned based on party size, but couldn’t explain why larger groups were seated before us. Another host jumped in and told me, with attitude, that we were “marked” for 7:45 and we’d be seated then—as if we hadn’t already been waiting patiently and silently the whole time. I asked to speak to a manager. I made it clear I understand waiting when you don’t have a reservation. What upset me was the inconsistency, the lack of transparency, and the feeling that guests were being picked and chosen at random—or based on who the staff preferred. I asked whether those other groups had reservations, and the manager’s answer was vague and felt made up on the spot. The manager claimed that the other group had a reservation, but they clearly waited 20 minutes like us. If she’s telling the true, I guess people should be aware that you might have to wait 20 mins even if you have a reservation. The only person who showed any professionalism was Abby, another host, who overheard the conversation and finally took us to a table and offered complimentary starters. Her kindness is the only reason I’m giving this review more than one star. But overall, the service at the front was unprofessional and unwelcoming. If you’re going to make people wait, at least be fair and transparent about it. This experience left a really bad impression.

Everything about this restaurant was awesome great experience, the food the atmosphere and the service. I would definitely recommend this establishment. Our server was Natalie, was absolutely the best.

Great restaurant with great food and service! Soon as you walk in, greeted with a smile and atmosphere was perfect. Waiter was fantastic with service and recommendations. Drinks were on point as well as food. I haven’t nothing bad to say about this place. Would go again anytime if we lived in the area. Also homemade paste was perfect. This is one of our favorite restaurants in Cincinnati. The food has always been delicious and we've enjoyed the atmosphere. This last time, I will say things felt a little cramped. It was the first time going since their renovation and our table at least was very close to two others. To the point we heard more of the others' conversation than our own. The food prices have gone up quite a bit as well. The crispy truffle gnocchi has always been our favorite but it's a bit pricey for what it is now. By far our favorite memory was the new years menu they did for 2021-2022. That will forever be the best time we spent there. If you're in downtown Cincinnati, I'd still recommend booking a nice dinner here.

Amazing place! Didn’t have a reservation but immediately got sat at the bar and the bartenders were so friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately I forgot to get their names but one was blonde and the other brunette. Their service was fantastic and they were very good with my difficult family, being very friendly and serviceable. This is a perfect restaurant for a girls' night out. The food was fresh and delicious. We ordered homemade pasta, salmon, and chicken Caesar salad. Everything was perfect. Tasty and with the right amount of salt. We also had some mojitos (not so good), but they were OK. The service was excellent. After dinner, we headed to the salsa in the square. We had fun.

We went a large group for a planned birthday celebration of a friend. Even with repeated reminders there was no special for the birthday person. Very disappointing. Food quality was usual, nothing special. It was overpriced. The server pushed to sell salad as part of main course, with deceptive statement. All of the 8+ adults understood same. Will not recommend this place. Overall ambience was great, parking was near.

Stopped to have a drink and dinner on our way to Louisville. Met a couple regulars that shared the history of the bar which was the main reason for the rating. Loved what they shared and the history of the pub. Our service was great and quick. Great options for a pub. The food and drinks we had were ok.

Love this place on certain Sat nights when Moonshine Drive, (a GREAT Blue Grass group), is there. They play out in the large sheltered patio area. The first time we went for dinner to hear the group, the food was decent. This time, it was over an hour before we learned they lost our ticket, then when we finally got our meals, only the salad was better than mediocre. If Moonshine Drive hadn't been playing, we would have left. The only reason I would consider making the trip again is to enjoy the music. Maybe if the owner had been there, food and service might have been better. We'll see. In the meantime, you'd better hang on to Moonshine Drive!

The food was unique and very good. Their Old Fashioned is the best ive had in Cincinnati, and the atmosphere is relaxed and peaceful. The outdoor area will be the only place I go to enjoy everything they have to offer, as there is a stage for live performances. The staff are all polite and helpful. This will be one of my new favorite spots

Arnold's is a great place for good food and a cold beer. Our 6 person lunch party ate in the covered outdoor area reached by waking through the long bar. There was a piano player playing blues music which created a great atmosphere. Wait staff was attentive. Well worth the visit. We will be back when we're in town.

Really cute historic bar and restaurant with live music. The outdoor seating area has a stage and they had a really fantastic band playing. The food was really good. I tried the green tomato burger, the wings And the fried cauliflower. All were delicious. The drinks were good and it's all reasonably priced. They have vegetarian options and gluten free. It's handicap accessible. There's better parking in the lot behind and then you can cut through the alley. The historic building it's in is beautiful And they've done a good job keeping that speakeasy kind of vibe. It's close enough to be able to walk to eat first tand then walk other events. Service was fast and friendly. Highly recommended

Arrived in Cincinnati early and the hotel room wasn’t ready. Found this nice little hole in the wall bar and restaurant. Opened up into a very interesting dining experience. I tried 2 different IPA’s which were great. For dinner I had the delicious wings and the meatballs and another beer. When I ordered my 4th beer I asked what the percentage was of this particular beer, at which point the waitress made a rude comment “well that’s going to be your last one” my friends and I laughed assuming her dry sense of humour must be a her “thing”. Nope, she was dead serious, yet continued serving my two coworkers drinks. Shelby would be better served washing dishes or bussing tables until she can understand how her position affects the customers experience and further patronage.

Didn’t try the Bloody Mary bar but it looked amazing- choose your own spice level! Delicious fried pretzels and beer cheese. The on tap beer selection was pretty substantial, with tons of local options.

Nice draft beer selection. Braxton pale ale was delicious. Blueberry lemonade cocktail was good, too. Very friendly staff. Our server Morgan did great! Live music this Friday night was good.

We had a very friendly server. My friend from England says their fish and chips are the most like back home. I got a tasty bowl of French Onion Soup. It’s a good place to meet up with friends and have a few laughs. The neighborhood has some cute shops. I especially like the little toy store around the corner.

I was famished after a 3 hour tattoo session. I've visited Cock & Bull Public House before, so I knew exactly where to go for fish & chips. My waitress promptly took care of my drink and food order. The food came out quickly and it was fresh and hot. The restaurant was clean and the service was wonderful!

Had such a lovely lunch here this afternoon with my family. Our waitress Morgan was so friendly and helpful, constantly refilling our waters and recommending food. Outside seating by the fountain was lovely and there was live music. Would definitely come back.

The worst fish fry I’ve had in years. Super burnt and tough. Broccoli side was dripping wet. Artichoke dip needed a ton of salt. Horrible food, service was mediocre and the bartender put in the minimalist of effort. The place is super loud too and you can barely talk.

Great classic place. Had the Corned beef and Cabbage which hit the spot, just hoped for a little more cabbage. We also had the hot and spicy "Angry Irishman" burger. It says Ghost pepper and siracha sauce, but don't be afraid, it is tasty. The picture does not do it justice. The only issue was the bill. I was never presented with a bill, the staff just approached with a payment machine and asked if I was ready. I looked at the printed receipt and noticed the numbers were off. I compared it to the menu, and in the end, I paid the correct total. It’s just off-putting to do detective work to figure out what happened.

Thursday night is music night at Molly Malone’s. We enjoyed a bluegrass quartet. The music started at 6:30. Molly’s is a place to watch sporting events. Soccer is the main event. It’s a warm and cozy, friendly vibe. They have outdoor seating. Upstairs has two floors that can be rented for your event. Elevator to reach the higher floors. Lots of beers on tap. I always get a Harp here, as not too many places have this Irish favorite. We shared a watermelon salad. The watermelon was so flavorful. I got the fish and chips entree. They do a perfectly cooked fish.

Welcome to Cincinnati/Covington 😍We had appetizers and a few drinks. Hundred 100% go if you like Irish Bars. Mussels were so so good, I did not know I even liked mussels! Ruben egg rolls, yummy! Sat at the bar, Tracy the bar tender amazing and helpful. Oh and dessert in a glass- Key Lime Cider!! The area is super clean. Took the $2.00 trolly from Newport. A little slice of Ireland 🇮🇪.

Great food, service, and atmosphere. The full Irish breakfast is 10/10 and the pudding is better than any ive ever had, to include Ireland itself! The wife loved the mimosas as well! Always worth a stop in for a meal and a pint!

Melt Revival is a community-focused spot with a welcoming vibe and a vegan-friendly menu. Orders are placed at the counter before seating. From the brunch menu, the tofu scramble was a clear standout - flavorful curry seasoning, great texture, and well paired with sautéed potatoes and house-made tomato sauce. A comforting and flavorful meal all around.

By far the best sandwich I have ever had from a restaurant! A wonderful selection of awesome desserts. The place was nicely sized and quiet for the number of people inside. Nicely decorated. The staff is very knowledgeable of the menu and the food being prepared. They are excited about their jobs and do very well at waiting on their customers. The staff as a whole were very kind. They just were not personable. It was still an absolutely great place to eat and will be visited again and again when visiting Cincinnati.

The food was great. While the greeters were adequate, not all seemed as welcoming. However, our server was friendly and enthusiastic.

Food is always yummy and filling I’ve went to both locations pictures shown are from both! Fresh yummy food vegetarian options as well which is a plus!!!!

Will definitely be coming back. The food was fresh and so good. We tried the verde flatbread which was awesome. Their chili also so good. Red lentil soup also stellar. Fully recommend if you are looking for a more Whole Foods lunch that actually has nutritional value this is your place.

I love this place so much! The lovely folks who work here are kind and welcoming. The Gobbler is one of the best meals I’ve ever had, truly so flavorful and delicious! I wish I could come here every day. It has become a must for me whenever I’m in Cincinnati again!

They had a spot for us on a busy Saturday night and service was great considering. Seasonal Happy Hour drinks were really tasty and food was decent tasting too. Mahi needed extra lemon juice to give it extra as it tasted a bit flat but otherwise OK. Cedar plank salmon was good though not sure what the cedar plank added for that $3 extra. Worth a shot, don't bother. All in all a fun night out.

Big fan of this place. Food is always tasty. I feel like this time there the best part was Courtney, she looks great care of us the whole time. As for the food, you have to start with their bread with a pesto/oil mix. Probably my favorite thing there. Haha. Mahi was really good and my son loved his burger. The Filet thermador was just okay to me. Cooked at a perfect temperature. But the sauce is missing something. Or to much of something. Other than that it was another great experience at BoneFish.

Sub-par... The happy hour is no happy prices..rgular price with selective menu. The Bang bang Shimp was good and flavorful. The Chicken Marsala was too sweet and the chicken was dry. Menu does not have a lot fish options. However the service was great! Music was good! And the Martinis was on point($5 on Monday only)!

First, the service was excellent, Whitney took great care of us. Their appetizers bang bang shrimps were spicy and the pot stickers tasty. Nice size portion and delicious. Entree delicious as well. I will go back again, because of 2 things; Service and Quality of the food. Also the bread and oil before the meal was on point.

Went for my 4th tasting. This one was a wine pairing. I am not really a wine drinker, but each wine was really good. I was pleasantly surprised. My first tasting was excellent. The second and third, not so good. The drinks for bourbon tasting were excellent, the food, not so much. The drinks for the vodka tasting were way too sweet and the food was just ok. This last wine tasting reminded me of my first experience. Everything was excellent. Still one of my favorite restaurants. Can’t wait to do it again.

Great Establishment We had a celebration of life for my father here and the event could not have been more seamless- absolutely stress free with excellent communication and planning, to having evrything ready on the day of the event. Carol was excellent at making certain food, staff and audio visual equipment were set and ready. Destiny and her fellow waiters were very attentive and accomodating- they received high regards from all the guest. The food was excellent as well complimenting the whole experience. I would encourage anyone wanting to plan an event that they very much so consider this well organized establishment. Mike Folger

These Reuben rolls in the picture are amazing absolutely great but I stopped for burger and the burgers here the one I had was horrible like absolutely terrible. I would go to red Robin over this place any day. However, the server Alie is amazing. I’m a truck driver so I’m around servers all the time they do have one of the best here!☺️

Went for burger week. Had the bousin burger and the wife had the BBQ Burger. Both were slightly above average but nothing to rave about. Burger was a little dry but the bousin cheese was excellent. Skip the gouda mac and stick with the roasted garlic potatoes or the births chips. They also serve THC drinks from 50 west and those are delish. Only 1 bar tender so drinks took awhile but they ended up comping 1 for the wait, so that was nice. Lastly, my favorite, the rueban rolls. Amazing.

Went here last night for a birthday dinner. I ordered the Beerhaven Burger (I think that's the name) with fries and a Pear Nectar mocktail. We arrived around 6pm-ish and there was clearly a work event or something going on but the dining room was still open for walk-ins. It took a few minutes for someone to finally greet us at the hostess stand but once they did we got to pick where we wanted to sit. The dining room is nice but the seats with the fabric upholstery definitely could use some cleaning, to say the least. My Pear Nectar mocktail was perfect! I'm pregnant and definitely appreciated the mocktail portion of the menu booklet on the table. It was fruity with a bit of tartness. It was around $7 which is kind of pricy for the size and non-alcohol aspect, in my opinion, but it was still good. 4/5 stars due to price and size. My burger and fries were FRESH and HOT! The pretzel bun was toasted on the inside and they added plenty of cheese and fried onions. I wanted to eat more than just half but we went to get frozen yogurt after dinner. The fries were also well salted, hot, and crisp. No complaints about my food whatsoever. 5/5 stars. Service was decent. Our waiter was kind and helpful but not always around when we needed something. We quite literally never saw him walking around, especially when we were handed back the check and there wasn't a pen to write a tip. My mom had to hunt someone down to get a pen. Otherwise we couldn't have left a tip! 4/5 stars. Would I return? Heck yeah. I'm more inclined towards the food vs the service, and the food was amazing. I'd like to come back on a weekend when they do live music. It'd be a great date night.

Ordered the Bellhaven Beer dip with pretzels and fresh veggies and oh my, was it very tasty!! For dinner I chose the Bellhaven Burger. It was cooked to perfection and so nice and juicy. Would recommend this place to just about anyone. My boyfriend got the Ghouda Pasta and I didn't hear from him for the next 5 minutes😂 Our server was also fantastic.

Always the best food and relaxing atmosphere. We especially love the appetizers, salads and fish and chips and deserts!

Love the entire environment and bar! Great food and an awesome drink await. Includes a great enclosed patio that can be opened in the summer and closed for the colder months. Absolutely recommend! + 2 years later Came on through while traveling and happy to say the Pub Rookwood is still scoring. Fantastic job from Ian taking care of us and loved the food.

Cozy location and quick service, took less than 5 minutes to get my food. I got the famous reuben which came with a potato pancake and pickles. Was one of the best sandiwiches i ever had and everything was warm and fresh. The pickles were a little mild but the pancakes were nice and crunchy. A must try in Cincinnati!

The chicken noodle soup was excellent! The sandwhich with the pretzel bun was average. The lady brought over my napkin and silverware wrap and her hands were covered in sauce, hence so was my napkin. Made me wonder about the hygiene here. Overall, so so, with excellent soup.

Fabulous pastrami Ruben! Very tender pastrami, great rye bread. Excellent service from Dawn. The potato pancake was delicious as well. 👍

This place was okay. I ordered their famous reubon sandwich and it honestly was nothing special. I came in here at around lunchtime and there were a lot of people getting takeout. With that said, it's not that favorable to sit and eat as there are quite a few people standing around waiting for their order. When I ate my sandwich, the bread was a little too soft. As for the meat, it seemed kind of average. Not bad, but just not a lot of flavor. The potato patty was a bit dissipointing as well. It was not really flavorful at all. Overall, I really didn't enjoy the food. It was okay, but nothing really much more than that.

Stumbled on Izzy’s whilst taking a walk to the market, in NY the same sandwich at Katz’ is $40, Izzy charges $12 and the quality is much better, easily the best bread I’ve had in my life.

Definitely not the Izzy's I remember, prices higher, portions smaller, and definitely not as tasty as when the original Izzy's was booming, , I guess we will never see the original again 😞, large fresh bread, sandwiches, with sauerkraut , yummy,large potatoes cakes, gone forever 😞

Lobster Roll was fantastic! Lobster was very well seasoned and cooked. The chips on the side were overly seasoned. I enjoyed the Lobster Mac and cheese, appreciate adding the lobster at a later stage in the cooking process. The shrimp cocktail was also very good with fresh shrimp. The crab fritters were my least favorite and the strawberry cake was descent. Service was on point.

This little place has been on court street for a few years but I hadn't tried it until today. We ended up getting a shrimp roll and a cod sandwich (which might be the best fish sandwich in town). Lobster is apparently expensive these days and the market price was $28, and for me that's a bit steep for 4 bites. The food is excellent but portions are small. There is a huge bar where you can eat, and lots of small tables but not many large tables due to the long skinny size of the restaurant.

Delicious lobster roll! 🦞 I tried the Connecticut style lobster roll tonight. The meat was very tender and perfectly prepared! I really liked the scallions and celery with the lobster! I also tried the hushpuppies, first time having honey butter with hush puppies, would recommend others to try.

This was my first time having a lobster roll and Court Street Lobster Bar really loved up to the hype. I was also impressed with the Lobster Poutine. Salty, buttery, and savory, it was the best poutine I've have recently. Also, CSLB is right next to Queen City Exchange which is a cool place to have a pint before or after if you want a slightly larger draft list than what is offered at CSLB.

I was a huge fan of this place, once I found out about it I would visit often. Tonight however was my first time ordering through Door Dash and I must say that I am highly upset and definitely disappointed!!! I bit into my lobster roll only to find two shells on the first bite. Then upon further inspection to see a roach pressed into tho bread. I am so disgusted and will never return again. The only reason I’m rating a two star review is because my experiences have been great up to this point and the food was delicious on past visits, if you enjoy extra surprises in your food then this is the place for you.

We have been coming here for a few years now - best lobster rolls (and lobster pot pie and lobster mac n cheese) around! Our server, Ray, this past time was excellent! Great weekly specials on food and drinks and all-around good time. Laidback atmosphere, but high quality food!

Great place and yummy food! Nice atmosphere! As per the previous review on large lobster pieces, tho I would recommend that the big pieces of lobster be cut up in the roll so it would be easier to eat and enjoyed as a roll. Crab roll, creamed spinach, and lobster bisque is very yummy. They do not have a noticeable sign in front, we had to look for it for 5 min before we can find it, so look for the 23 court st and it's directly across the street. Would not hurt to get a small LED sign?

Friendly and quick service. Food was hot and delicious. Generous portions. Tastes like momma made it. My boyfriend and I got biscuits and gravy, he got a western omelet with ham, I got scrambled eggs with hash browns and french toast.

Harty and Cozy Diner with Friendly Service and a Vintage Vibe Great service both in a group of coworkers, and while on a date. Omelettes were simple, fresh, and filling. Wait staff is attentive and always makes sure your coffee cup is full. Anchor Grill has been open since 1946, and is a Covington staple.

Wilma and Shawna are absolutely hands down amazing people. They love their job, cook good food, and very nice. Never seen ladies who love what they do and also talk with their customers. EVERYTHING is good!

This place is the Angkor Wat of breakfast places! The food was amazing, the price is cheap, the staff is very friendly and the portion sizes are very generous. I was here on vacation and I went here 2 times despite only being in the area for 2 days. You would be doing yourself a disservice if you didn't go to this place if your in the area.

The food was very good and reasonably priced and the service was great. But, it's the sweet potato casserole that I'll be returning for. It was awesome!

Great mom & pop joint. Food is hot and very tasty. This place has been open for 77 years and the decor is prob the same as it was back in the day. Make sure you bring cash because they don’t take credit. The Waitresses were extremely kind and the coffee was bottomless. I had the two eggs over medium with sausage and toast and hash browns with onions and you just can’t go wrong with it. We would return.

Wings were under cooked, pizza was burnt and greasey, when I started eating one of the orders of wings beside being not done there was 3 meatballs in the box instead of boneless wings! Very disappointed! Order of fries with cheese was the same way. Under cooked and hardly any cheese. Order of bread sticks was the same, doughy and hardly any cheese. Very disappointed, usually don't have this problem!

We were visiting from out of town. We went to the Reds baseball game. There was a Larosa's promotion. The salad and pizza were delicious. The personal size was just enough and you could have it the way you like it.

I always ordered pizza here. I moved to downtown Cincinnati & called to order. I was advised that my address wasn't coming up because they had problems at my building. But I was told that I could look online & call back. I did. But I was told that what I wanted was only available online?? But I cant order online? The guy was not helpful, not friendly & basically told me that its ok if I never did business with them again & refused to allow me to speak with a manager. I filed a bbb complaint and they refused to speak to them as well. Service sucks. Prices over the top & now no ownership. I cant seem to post a picture for some reason but I have proof!

A dirty human nail found on my rondo , the only response I got from customer service through LaRosa’s is , these things happen . This is unexceptionable, apparently no gloves nor hand washing is taking place in this store .

Pizza was great prepared exactly the way I wanted cashier was very nice we talked like we knew each other. great vibes.

Revolution Rotisserie easily turned into one of my favorite places just after one visit! We loved everything about the place! The ambiance, drinks, food and staff were all great! We started with the pimento dip and it was great! It was delicious with both the vegetables and the flat bread. For entrees, my wife and I had both their chicken sandwiches. Both were great but I preferred the Lightning better. The sides were also good. Mac N Cheese was good but nothing special and I thought the tater tots were cooked perfectly. A nice golden, crispy outside and a soft warm inside! Dipping them in the Lightning sauce was great! Overall, we loved our first experience at Revolutions! I can’t think of a single thing that was just alright, let alone bad! We can’t wait to go back!

Tonight was our first time to Revolution and we will definitely be back! Service was great, food was delicious and very reasonably priced. We went fairly late and they were out of the half chicken so our server suggested ways to still try the dishes we had picked, just with the meat a different style. 4 people in our party and every one of us loved it!

5 Golden Forks for this place!!! ☆☆☆☆☆ oh my gosh! Issac was our waiter, he was awesome! The food....um WOW! Deliciousness!!! I'll let the photos speak. Clean, ambience perfect. We even had a scoop of Bourbon Vanilla ice cream at the end. .....the ONLY bad thing...was finding parking. Definately worth finding one though! Go enjoy this place! Excellent!

This was our first time at Revolution Rotisserie. Everyone enjoyed their meal. My wife and I were able to split a rotisserie chicken by getting an extra side. We were both well fed. The top view of the sandwich does not show how big they are. The lightning sauce is a little spicy, not crazy, just good.

WOW!!!! This chicken was AMAZING! Tots were nice & crispy along with the cornbread. And the brownie Ala mode was to die for. Definitely worth the trip. Order ahead for take out or dine in. They also take reservations.

Update 8/21/23: They have the Wings Week event. Thomas, our server, was very nice and quick. We had the 5 wings for $7, Caribbean BBQ, and homemade ranch. Best meal bruh!! Original: We went on Happy Hours (3p - 6p), some items are about $1 or $2 off regular price. I had the Pimento Burger (single). It was good. The cilantro lime rice was a little bit too hard, and not much taste. The tater tots were good. For dessert I had fudge brownies with ice cream. It was rich and delish. The place wasn't too crowded for Friday night. The customers were mixed. However, it's hard to find parking. It's street parking.

My daughter brought us here for our monthly mother/daughter lunch. The restaurant is nestled on a corner in Pleasant Ridge. We parked behind the restaurant. (The server said there were two other areas to park also). We arrived just after they opened, we were greeted by a pleasant hostess. Seated by the window. Our server Jo was very friendly and knowledgeable about everything on the menu (as this was our first time here, and recommended by a friend.) We ordered the Freestyle Bird, award winning Gremolata fries, and a garden salad. Let me just say the chicken was extremely tender, skin crispy and flavorful. (We had a variety of dips to try. The tarter sauce for the fries was extremely fresh and delicious!) The fries were crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. The seasoning they use on the Gremolata fries is very tasty. A one-of-a kind taste. The garden salad was plentiful and filling in itself, the vinaigrette dressing fresh tasting. After our meal we ordered the blueberry crumble pie, with whipped topping to go. I got mine A La Mode (with bourbon vanilla bean ice cream.) Our server Jo was attentive, but not hovering or rushed. He was there when needed, and made sure everything was on point for a nice dining experience. My daughter wants to come back for the cheesecake, I want to come back and try the fish! Overall, a great dining experience, a new restaurant to add to our list to frequent. Highly recommended. This restaurant must be popular because as we were dining, there were frequent pick up orders, and customers coming in to dine. Including a family with children, so this is a neighborhood eatery for everyone!

We had gone to the casino for my 50th bday, and this place wasn’t far, as I was craving seafood. My ONLY complaint is that it was 8:30pm, and they told us immediately 2x that they close at 10. That is plenty of time to eat. Anyway, we are new into Trump days, and life is scary. We(a party of 6) with a white wife, black husband, lesbian adopted daughter, adopted kids with autism and bipolar and ad/hd, and some mixed. We walked into an Asian lady running things and 2 trans waitresses. And guess what? We weren’t black, or what, or trans or gay. We were all humans!!! We needed for nothing at our table! The food was incredible!!!! We will definitely return!!!

We spent $350 here and were extremely disappointed. We ordered the lobster tail, headless shrimp, Dungeness crab, king crab, and snow crab—and each dish was worse than the last. The seafood boil was surprisingly dry, with no flavor at all. The corn was clearly frozen and awful, and the potatoes were served cold. The oysters had an unpleasant taste—not fishy, but definitely not fresh. On top of the poor food quality, the service was lifeless and the atmosphere dead—we were the only customers in the restaurant on a Sunday at 5 PM. I would not recommend this place to anyone, and I certainly won’t be coming back. You can find far better seafood elsewhere.

Our first time and I will go back again & again. We ordered The Perfect Storm seafood boil and it was amazing! Food was excellent and more than enough for two. Everything tasted fresh & delicious and service was very good. Great meal for the price, especially for fresh seafood in Ohio. Atmosphere was very welcoming and staff were extremely friendly. We went on a Friday, around 7pm, and it was not crowded. Hopefully the obscure location doesn’t hurt business. The trip was well worth it and we will go back again!

I come here twice a month just about and have been coming no less than once a month for a solid 1.5years. Pretty much everytime, the food is absolutely delicious. Their crab and seasonings are unmatched and I live for this place!! Always have a great experience especially the servers. Always nice, check on me and get me what I need. Never any issues. I don’t typically write reviews but I felt inclined too this go round because my server was awesome. I wish I got his name. But today I came in and it was very busy, lot of large groups and I guess the restaurant didn’t have enough man power to hand everyone super quickly so I was informed of that and that the food may take a little longer today, which was no problem. Despite being very busy and packed with large groups orders today, my waiter was still so kind and nice and attentive to me. Food still came out quick and was AMAZING!! I love coming here. I bring friends with me here all the time. I love all the staff as well!

This crab house was a diamond in the rough, i personally didn’t expect the excellent service ( Lashonda ) that I received nor did I expect the flavors and taste of food I got from this place. I came from Chicago with a taste for a crab boil and they didn’t disappoint, everything was delicious. Now a couple downsides 1) these drink glasses are way too small for $12 2) I wish they served garlic noodles instead of fried rice. Fried rice already is seasoned well and mixed with the sauce is a bit over seasoning.

Yeah, it's a hidden gem in a strip mall. Their shrimp muscles broils are delicious! I tried a bunch the first time I went. This 2nd time we did fish tried the catfish, whitening, clam chowder was good. Hush Puppies are so good!! They should give em out like rolls. The atmosphere is clean. It's not as busy as I see it should be, the food there is great. Truly recommend for seafood! Worth the price as well!!

Friday early evening in mid March. I had the buffet which was really good!!! Grilled shrimp ran to the excellent side. !! Other items tasty also.Family had chicken strip ,fries and fried fish that all had a similar "grease" taste but was just ok. Enjoyed good service from all.

Fantastic breakfast this morning and tremendous service from Lydie Jo! She was very attentive and went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of. Delicious big breakfast (pictured below) and would highly recommend to anyone looking for breakfast in the Bellevue area!

We had the pleasure of being served by Betty Jo at Frisch’s Big Boy, and she was absolutely wonderful! She greeted us with a warm smile, kept our drinks topped off, and made sure everything was just right throughout our meal. She was friendly without being overbearing, attentive without rushing us, and you could tell she truly cared about making our experience great. People like Betty Jo are what make dining out feel special. Thank you for making our visit so enjoyable!

Some Frisch's locations are now closed > 5th Street in Covington. Ft.Wright or Bellevue Frisch's are superior. I ordered a fish sandwich a few weeks ago @ Bellevue, KY & it was TOO fishy. Like, "spit out the bite fishy". I went in, explained the issue & she immediately said, "No Problem, we'll get you a new one" I love excellent customer service. I ESPECIALLY LOVE THEIR FOOD - U MUST try

We came right after 11, first customers of the day 😁 Ordered the beer cheese and steak burger with bacon. Both dishes were delish. Our server was very friendly and nice, quick with our orders. Definitely be back for more!!

We had a wonderful family dinner here! Portion sizes are large! Service was perfect and everyone enjoyed their food. We loved the atmosphere of the “outdoor” but enclosed dining. We were warm under heaters. Great sandwiches and burgers and beer. We will definitely be back!

Just Wow! Our waitress was new, she had only been there about 2 weeks but if she didn't know an answer to a question she got it quickly. She was a wonderful waitress! The food....🤤🤤🤤 it was sooo amazing. I HIGHLY recommend trying this place out. Their outdoor patio is gorgeous!

We went here based on reviews. I have to say the food was absolutely wonderful. The steak I had was awesome, the green beans was awesome. My wife had the prime rib,best prime rib she had in a long time she said. Everything was absolutely delicious, well prepared, and presented wonderfully.

Whoa, I can't say enough about this place. We started with the bacon appetizer, it was phenomenal. Seasoned perfectly, but what I was really impressed with was the way that it was cooked PERFECTLY! My wife had the chicken, it was exactly how chicken should taste! Juicy and exquisite. I enjoyed the Pot Roast. It was not my Mother's Pot Roast! This was excellent. Very well done. My only complaint would be the portion sizes, I'm a bigger guy and my meal left me wanting more!

I've went twice amd not impressed. The food is to expensive for the value and portion size. I really don't line the food, I was bland, and the customer service is lacking. I won't return unfortunately.

We went for a family get together and easily made reservations for 8 beforehand. The experience was great the whole way through. The friendly hostess showed us right to our table even though we were a few minutes early, we were able to order drinks while waiting for the rest of our party. The Bloody Mary was outstanding with all the "snacks" included, bacon, a shrimp, olives, cornishons, and of course, celery. The Taco Hash was exceptional. Chorizo with potatoes, onions and peppers, serrano aioli and topped with an egg. My boyfriend got the Brunch Burger which he said was killer. It was topped with bacon jam, a fried egg and bearnaise sauce. So decadent! Our server kept our drinks filled and was very efficient and friendly while giving us plenty of space to visit with each other. We will definitely be back to give the rest of the menu a try!

I arrived at 8:55 to pick up my pizza that I scheduled for pick up at 9:00. I was greeted by a bartender, and let them know I had a pick up order, and they said it would be right out. after 20 minutes waiting there. I finally got my pizza and it was poorly made and not cooked thoroughly.

Do you see these wings!!! These are the so called $16 (Jumbo Wings)!! These were TINY’ & terrible. One of the wings was almost straight bone!!! Longnecks what happened?? I left them a message about this order but they never got back to me. So I guess I’ll leave this review here. I’ve never had such a horrible experience, normally the burgers are good & the staff is nice. But this is crazy, I couldn’t believe what I was looking at when I got home. Anyways that’s my rant, maybe the kitchen guy just didn’t care & just crapped these out probably not a reflection of ownership but ya never know. EDIT: Longnecks did reach out & make it right regarding my order. I was surprised to the lengths they were willing to make it right. Longnecks is a great business with a fun family friendly atmosphere that most can enjoy, I am happy they were able to explain to me what exactly happened with my order. The through explanation & willingness to take care of the customer really made me feel as if they were a business who cared about the consumers experience. Most other business don’t show this level of professionalism when it comes to faulty orders. So I would say definitely check out Longnecks & give there business a shot, they deserve it. Thanks!

We love Longnecks! The food is always great, the drinks are GOOD, and the service is excellent. There is a family atmosphere that is warm and inviting. Everyone is welcome there...you can bring your kids and your Granny...its that kind of place!

We were pleasantly surprised by Longnecks. The food was good and the service was friendly. My burger was one of the best I've had in years. The child's cheeseburger was painfully overcooked and dry, but the fries and onion rings were delicious. Two members of our group were happy to see they had vegetarian options. The Keno game going on when we arrived made it tough to have a conversation, and no one in our party of 8 plays, so that wasn't good for us. But, other people were playing and seemed to be having a good time. I expect we may visit again when we're in the area.

Staff is courteous, polite and friendly. They always check to make sure my order is correct. Whenever I stop in to pick up my to go order I notice that the other customers in the grill are laughing and having a good time and they ate enjoyong their time at Long elks. By the way the fried mushrooms are GREAT!

I have been two different longnecks and both of them disappointed me will not try again.order boneless wings ask for extra wet. They were dry and I 5 very small pieces for 7.99. There were not many people in place but I was never asked for a drink refill

Absolutely fantastic place, great selection of drinks and food, great staff and great prices. Super chill atmosphere so it’s perfect for meeting for dinner and drinks before a night out on the town or if your just looking for a nice place to catch the game and relax. I would suggest coming here at any time. Food wise, you gotta try the hanky panky appetizer, they’re fantastic. For real food you can’t go wrong with the pizza or any of their sandwiches. Would give this place 10 stars if I could.

Some of the best chicken and fries in the city, hands down. Their chicken is freshly fried, their fries are fresh cut, and the sauces are made in house. If I were to give two suggestions to the place, it would be to identify a better ventilation solution as you are guaranteed to leave smelling like grease. Secondly, ordering food at the bar can be cumbersome, it would be a lot easier to order from a QR code at the table for food.

A nice local restaurant/bar with a great selection of beers—feels like the perfect after-work pub. I had a cheesesteak sandwich, and it was fabulous, along with some cheese fingers that were also great. The spicy ketchup was a nice touch. On the downside, the service was cold and unwelcoming. Also, food took a long time to get our table. I only tipped because they helped me charge my phone; otherwise, I wouldn’t. Another drawback is the lack of free parking. Still, it’s a good spot to hang out with friends.

The chicken strips weren’t pretty good! Great fries! The Philly cheesesteak was ok but needed some more spice or something.

We are from out of town. We came here for a baseball game years ago and LOVED everything. Came back to see the Bengals and Detroit play and can only say that the food and staff have gone down hill. Wings? Much smaller. Please, please, get the bigger ones back and just hike the price. The hottest sauce they have in the menu tasted like tomato soup expired with Tabasco added. I think it fermented too much? It was bubbling if you shook it. Bar staff? Taking shots and beers with people I’m sure they know and rude as hell. Don’t mind that in a dive bar setting like this but they could not be bothered with any one else in the building. I was excited to come back here and was pissed off. Very disappointed and will be hoping Cincinnati gives us a new wing place to check out when we come back.

The chicken tenders just melted in my mouth & the fries are to die for! My husband got the beef on a wek & he absolutely loved every bite. The service was fast, the food was hot & excellent! Can’t wait to go back.

We heard the food was good, so we decided to check out the Pony. First time going, and wow it was a good time. Relaxed vibe, great (but small) menu, and awesome food, although, the beer selection was lacking. It was nice there were booths as well, on top of the bar itself - I liked that we were able to sit down and eat and chat at a table vs a bar. Benches were kinda dirty though lol, but nothing terrible I got the honey mustard wings they have - and wow, absolute bangers, seasoned perfectly & piping hot. The burger with a slice of bacon was stupid delicious. A little overcooked on the meat but it wasn't even noticeable enough to care about. Cause that bacon kicks you in the mouth on your first bite. Simply put their burger is severely underrated. the fries were unbelievable - flat out some of the best (and thickest) I've had in a while. Flaky, crispy, crunchy & covered with sea salt, their fries are a must. All in all, cool spot to grab a bite and have a beer and if you're bar hopping, one worth stopping in!

Husband and I went on a Saturday night was pretty busy but were seated right away. Our waitress was excellent but our food took a bit long but even still she checked in on us often and she took off 10% for our wait which was nice. We got the pepperoni cheese sticks which were unique and delicious and i got the bbq bacon blue cheese ostrich burger which was not what i expected but tasted good! Good selection of beers and a chill english pub type atmosphere. Would definitely go back again!

Rustic feel, open room without feeling compressed. Relaxed seating. Not to mention a good sized bar and wine selection and unique choices for food. Like, I've never been to a place that serves regular, turkey, ostrich, and garden burgers l.

Got a burger and my date got the Fish and chips. The burger was nothing that exciting and the fish and chips was average. The food was hot and fresh out the kitchen which is always a great attribute. The service was nice and responsive to our needs. The outside dining area was well maintained and clean. Beer selection was nice size. I enjoyed my time but maybe cut the prices of the food down a smidgen. You're not getting what you paid for.

Service was pretty bad. The kitchen was on a 10 minute wait, which was fine, but we didn't get any drink order taken for at least 10 minutes and when it finally got taken, the server left before we could order our son a drink. My eggs were pretty burnt. The pizza egg rolls were delicious. In not a bloody Mary person but they offer a bloody Mary bar. They could have just been rushed. They had several other food options I'd like to try but not sure if it's worth the risk of repeat service!

Love this place, the white chicken chili is the best I've had! The burgers are great. The turkey club wrap is awesome! The service is usually good, I've had a few servers who haven't been super pleasant but for the most part we dont have an issue.

Every time I come here I end up having to wait 15 to 20 minutes before my drink order is even taken or I receive a menu. The food is adequate. Most of the time you order something off their menu will tell you that they don't have it. All servers I've ever experienced here are lousy and obviously don't have great customer service or are new to the serving business. The one good Server I had I never saw again.

I've eaten at Mitchell's Fish Market several times and always enjoy the view of the city skyline. It's honestly one of the best places to get a great view in general. The prices are on the high end but for the location the food is the best option when it comes to seafood and good customer service. Newport on the Levee is a tourist destination venue and you will most likely have to pay to park which is usually under $5 dollars. Mitchell's is oddly located directly across from the Newport aquarium. The aquarium is a very short walk and visible from the Resturant. The lobster bisque soup and the hollandaise asparagus are my favorites. Photos: blackened salmon with potatoes and mixed vegetables, flounder with asparagus and the hollandaise asparagus.

This place used to be awesome and am hoping my last visit was a fluke. Bread was too hard and couldn't eat it, the batter on my shrimp had uncooked spots. Server wasn't exactly attentive either. Waited a while for refills and check.

Our latest experience with service and food was good. However, online reservation and Wi-Fi were down. Interestingly, this is a recurring problem. Also, our past experiences were not so good. Hopefully, we'll see improvement.

I don't like to give out many 5 star ratings, as it takes a lot for me to call a place perfect. That said, Mitchell's is extraordinary in a city full of good places to eat. Amazing seafood this far from the coast is hard to come by, but they get it right. The service from Justin was perfect. Honestly, if more places trained their waitstaff to be this good they would never have a problem getting returning customers. His timing was great as was his explanations of specials, the wine menu, and desserts. As far as pricing, yes, it's high. Expect to pay for this great food and service. But, compared to what the Cincinnati area normally offers in upscale dining, Mitchell's is well worth the price. For 3 people, we had a round of drinks, an appetizer (shared), an entree each, and a dessert (shared). Our total was $131.00, excluding the tip. Not bad for a nice night out on the Levee! Yeah, we'll be going back!

Lexi took amazing care of us. Drinks were delicious. Worth every penny. I desperately wanted a grilled cheese, and she made it happen. We popped in for a drink on a whim before going to the aquarium, and I'm so glad we did. Customer service is amazing.

Sat on the patio. Great view! My food was fine, not really remarkable. I’m not a foodie tbh though. Our wait staff were nice people but simply weren’t there. Probably went 20 minutes in between the three visits our young server paid to the table. In chatting with him it became apparent he was inexperienced and new to this model and system size of wait/service (came from having waited tables at a pizza joint in a smaller town). Manager was kind and hustling to fill some holes in his team that day.

Every meal at our table was cook to perfection.. Nothing like overcooked seafood of which we DID NOT experience. Hats off to the chef...

You have to try this place. The food is top tier, the staff is incredibly accommodating, and we could not have personally planned a better experience. If you like seafood, you will love this place. I will be coming back here for anything seafood related that I need.

Very local place with delicious food. The restaurant part wasn't open when we went, but we grabbed a number of items from the market side. My favorite the crab cakes and remuloude sauce. We also enjoyed the crab dip, salmon Jerry, clam chowder and a couple bottles of wine. I felt the process were reasonable and everything tasted fresh. We'll be ba k for sure when the restaurant opens.

Just tried Lobster Bakes at the Cincinnati Open. The lobster on the lobster roll was fresh but it was hard to decide how it tastes because the filling was so skimpy. The chips with the fish and chips were hot, fresh and tasty. The fish part however was so fishy it was hard to eat it without gagging. Not good when the best part of your $50 meal ais the fries you can get anywhere.

Lobster roll is $28.00 with no sides and very mediocre. The toasted bun was the only flavor in the lobster roll . Not worth the money or the time to stand in line for the roll.

First off, I just love this place. The seafood is fresh and fabulous, and they have quite a selection. I didn't say they always have every fish selection you want, but they always seem to have a great substitute. The help there is top notch, and their recommendations have never failed. Tell them what you're thinking about doing, such as blackened fish, and they'll steer you down the right path. They also have great prepared items such as The Drunk (marinated salmon to die for), crab dip, crab cakes, shrimp dip, whipped butter with sea salt (or fresh garlic), fish frys on Friday... need I say more? It's not cheap, but oh so worth it. The advice alone is worth any difference in price over your local grocer. Sorry Kroger... You go once and you'll keep going. Great fresh fish is so worth driving a few extra miles to! Oh, and if you're going on a Friday to get a fish fry (yum!), be prepared to stand in line. It's that good...

Really great staff, and they get stuff in fresh daily. Good place to buy fish for raw consumption. The owner, I assume, went above and beyond with minor card issues. I've never heard of someone offering what he did. Really good guy, and he has my business whenever I can make it over that way. Thanks

Yummy fish and chips! We lived in England for 4 years and often enjoyed a fish and chips pub dinner. The Shack offers the same delicious taste and service! It is always a short drive to Newtown and so worth it for a lovely evening and experience at The Shack on a Saturday!
