The place has many guards and they are friendly for photos. One of the best part of this place is the guards on horses and their exchanges. A nice ceremony if you can catch that changing of the horse guards.

We arrived just after opening so it was not crowded at all. In fact most of the visit it was just the two of us. There was a wonderful photography exhibition in addition to the modern art and abstract paintings. There were some truly amazing pieces and it was fascinating to discover Moroccan artists that I had never seen before. Absolutely wonderful archeological and historic site. The walking path is well marked with site signs. There is also an audio program that can be rented. The grounds are beautifully maintained with plantings that were new to me. Just gorgeous.

Late Sept review - not crowded, great weather and beautiful grounds with an interesting deep history. Get the audio tour guide. The entrance fee is worth it. Also, stop at the cafe for drinks and snacks for nice break with a cool view of the landscape, storks, and their nest. A little pricey but worth the cost as the presentation and quality of the food was impressive. Nice clean modern bathrooms. If your audio tour guide starts to lose battery, give it to any security guard on your route and they will run and exchange it for you. Wish they notified us of this option in advance (like post a sign at the reception).

A lovely historical city with Mauritanian, Roman, and a few other civilizations contributing to this place. The place has some Roman ruins, a very small museum, a mosque, some baths, a lovely garden, and residentials. The place also has a coffee shop, a restaurant, and a gifts shop. Tickets are bought at the entrance by cash or card. They have ample parking onsite. Timings of the place differ around the year. The restaurant onsite remains open until after the ancient city closes, and has a separate entrance. Expect to spend 1 hour exploring the place.

Fantastic location in the Rabat Medina the room was luxurious beautifully decorated and clean. Breakfast was super on the rooftop near the pool. Beautiful views from the top. All staff friendly and helpful. We loved every moment. Excellent value.

This is one of the most beautiful places I've ever stayed. The overall decor is just spectacular and extremely comfortable. It's very quiet. It's in the Medina, but close to the main roads. The rooms are gorgeously appointed, with modern amenities and classical beauty. The food, breakfast and dinner, is excellent and the staff could not be more friendly. There's a small swimming pool and a number of wonderful spaces to spend a quiet hour. Even the Wi-Fi is great. No notes - possibly the nicest place I've ever stayed.

Great renovation for a Riad that is aesthetically probably one of the best we have been to so far. Service is excellent and prompt. The staff is very dedicated and surprisingly highly educated, soft spoken and quite knowledgeable. The fixed menu for dining has limited options but they are all delicious and the food quality is really good. The chef added a good and delicate twist to typical traditional local dishes to make them a bit more refined without transforming them into something they are not supposed to be like it sometimes happens. So: well done! Easy access to the rest of the medina, beach and the Andalusian Gardens, everything is literally 5 minutes walk. The other great advantage of the location is the proximity to the river and boat service to go across the more high end and refined area of Salé and it's marina and restaurants. Also 40 minutes walk to the Chellah and 20 minutes to the Hassan Tower. This Riad ticks all the boxes. On top of the above, the Hammam and massage services are of really good standard. Highly recommended. Would definitely go back!

This Riad was a gem and I highly recommend Best location in Rabat - quiet area of the Medina. The rooms and common area are very luxurious with lots of amenities. We have a private dinner on the patio and breakfast - both were delicious and beautifully presented. We thought we were dining in a Michelin star restaurant. Lastly, Reda provided the highest level of service to us and made us wish we stayed longer.

Overall & location: Beautifully restored 100 year old Riad of a previous Pasha (judge) of Rabat. Excellent location within the Medina and easy walking to all sites (except Chellah fort). There are 9 rooms/suites - 5 within the main Riad and another 4 in the seamless extension, each named and themed after a flower. Room: Narjiss on the first floor was superb. Large room with lovely seating area and well equipped bath with shower, safe & storage. Cons: Some very minor noise issues and need the central window blind to be lowered for privacy when internal lights are on. Also, no usb points for easy device charging. Finally, except for the welcome bottle of water, all other water is part of the minibar & chargeable. Breakfast & dining: Very adequate continental breakfast and option for omelettes (though this was not offered on day one). Dinner at the Riad is expensive but worth it. A set menu of 5 lovely salads, choice of 5 mains & 4 desserts, freshly prepared to order by in-house chef Amina. Cons: The rooftop seating area is a bit cosy.

To be honest am an only partial visitor at the Riad, using the pool facility and the restaurant. The pool experience is magnificent as it’s always empty and you feel the privilege of all booked for you, the staff is very helpful and kind. However my experience with the breakfast considering the price was not as expected. The coffee was survey without sugar, the eggs were also served without salt. I liked the touch of the fruit being served at breakfast, but generally I will rate the breakfast 4 out of 10.

It's a good space for families and their kids, or if you just want to stare into the other side of the river and have some quiet moments. Now, quiet moments are hard to get there. The cafés play (live) music so loud that it's not really comfortable for people outside. Parties happening there every night is a little bit exaggerated in my humble opinion. But overall, the place is a blast in the morning or at sunset. Wonderful views. (Minus one star for the crowd and the nightly noise)

The marina is very nice area with many boats and fancy yachts, if you speak with someone or arrange a boat you can ride in the marina, I think we booked with jet set loirs something like this. The security guards sitting on the side are very helpful we needed directions to tarbouche and the guard told us the way. Cheri Cheri tarbouche royal donuts all nearby great place to chill and watch the sunset.

We stayed here in May 2025. The hotel was nice, as was the room, and the breakfast was good. However, the staff was unhelpful and tried to trick us when paying the bill – they attempted to charge our friend again for an already paid bill. The hotel is beyond terrible. I had to change rooms 2 times because of maintenance issues. One room had a broken AC. The other had non-functioning light switches! The breakfast is disgusting, with ants everywhere on the tables, dishes and glasses not clean.

We had a wonderful stay at the fairmont hotel salé. I don't like to individually name staff who were excellent at their jobs,... as EVERY staff member we met was! We don't see the back of house who make everything from the melt in the mouth welcome biscuits to the high quality food in all the restaurant's. The cleaning crew who kept our room and the hotel and spa spotless, the security team who always have a friendly nod. The front of house in the restaurant's, spa, reception and concierge are extremely professional, friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend this hotel and look forward to visiting again next year.

Me and my friend visited the Fairmont to buy some water due to no shops being nearby. Door staff welcomed us in and directed us to the bar who were friendly and wholesome. I recently stayed at Fairmont La Marina Rabat Salé and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is beautiful, the atmosphere is relaxing, and the views are stunning. One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in — I felt so comfortable and peaceful. I was very busy before, and just now I finally found the time to write this review. The whole team was great, especially the reception staff, including Mohamed, who was very kind and helpful and assisted me with many things. Thanks also to everyone who was at the hotel — it was a truly wonderful stay 🌟

Beautiful hotel from lobby to bedroom. The people at the reception and guest service were very helpful especially Mehdi. Rooftop view of Rabat is beautiful . Location in Sale Is convenient . We took the 1 minute boat ride to Rabat not far from the hotel.

Would rate the room as a five but two things wrong 1 was the bathtub it is extremely difficult to get out of I slipped hard back in a couple times even got bruised arm from falling back in. I am a bath person but never here again. We traveled with Gate1 Travel several in our group complained about bedroom not cooling down waking through the night in sweats. Now besides these two items the Hotel is beautiful inside and out. Beauty does not equal comfort I tossed and turned near if not all night.

I stayed at the Fairmont Rabat with my family and we had a truly wonderful experience. We enjoyed a beautiful Ocean View Suite, fully equipped with every comfort and a stunning view. At check-in we were warmly welcomed by Imane, Jamila, and Mohammed, who made us feel right at home. The whole team was extremely professional, kind, and attentive. We also want to thank the staff at the pool and Le Deck restaurant. The service, food, and atmosphere were simply excellent. The location is perfect: peaceful, luxurious, and with breathtaking views. In short: top service, delicious food, great facilities, and an outstanding team. A perfect stay for our family, we will definitely come back!

Gorgeous place to wander. Blue and white lanes, flowers on the walls, and quiet corners that feel timeless. The views over the river and the ocean are worth the climb. The Andalusian garden is calm and shady, perfect for a slow walk. Easy to spend an hour here taking photos, stopping for tea, and soaking in the history. A must visit in Rabat.

Very beautiful place where you can wander by yourself or go with a tour group. There's a cafe and great little store not far from the entrance ....and a girl doing henna decorations but it did not last even a day let alone a week! The views from the far end of the site are magnificent. On Tuesday the museum and gardens are closed, which was disappointing, but the kasbah is always open.

This is a Fascinating area to walk around with some great views of the Altlantic ocean. It is a warren of little lanes that you can get lost in but it really isn’t that big so not a real problem. There are guides available but agree a price upfront. Also beware that if you are walking around on your own people will approach you and start talking to you. These then turn out to be guides and will demand money even if you have not agreed to it. This happened to us. A older man started talking to us unprompted and started explaining things he then demanded a lot of money, which we refused to pay. So beware but it is a good place to walk around.

A historical landmark with an Andalusian Garden, an Adornment Museum, narrow allies, and lovely views to the sea. The whole place is free to enter except for the Adornment Museum. There is a cafe onsite. Expect to spend an hour onwards exploring all the attractions this place has to offer. Very close to it is the Rabat Old Market.

Beautiful, picturesque place with charming houses and narrow, winding streets. The main street is lined with vendors selling food and souvenirs, adding to the lively atmosphere. There's a nice sea view, although unfortunately we visited on a very foggy day, so it wasn't as impressive as it could have been. Be extra cautious of scammers and pickpockets, as they're quite active, and the henna ladies can be very persistent. Despite that, it's a lovely place to wander and soak in the local charm.

Nothing great about this hotel. Beds were like you are sleeping on piece of wood very hard beds. Breakfast was decent. Elevators are tiny only accomodates one person with two luggage bags. TV had only channels non English speaking. I would not recommend this hotel.

The breakfast cereal milk gave me instant food poisoning and diarrhoea. The quality of other cooked breakfast items also weren't great during our visit, with some boiled eggs being slightly raw, and the onion salad not being too fresh. Out of 4 hotels we stayed at throughout morocco this one definitely has the worst breakfast, which is a shame because the rooms, service and restaurant are nice.

We had a great experience in the hotel. The staff was very friendly. Parking was available so that was a big plus for us during our road trip. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with a little living room and a great terrace. The view from the terrace was nice and perfect to enjoy the sunset. The location is within walking distance of some of Rabat's main attractions. Breakfast was not included, so we do not try any food in the hotel. The arrival with mint tea was nice, as always in Morocco. The Internet was fast.

Visit time : 20 April at 2:00 pm lunchtime. being a regular I have to show my biggest disappointment on how the hostess handled herself while doing her job. She showed no courtesy no enthusiasm in finding us a table. Being a regular many waiters recognised me and been actively trying to sit us. Waiting time was almost an hour without any effort from her to follow up . when finally a kind server found us a table with a missing chair , the hostess again stepped in and said no chairs available, the server managed to find one. This is an explicit complaint on how Rude was our experience with the hostess.

I had high expectations for Robuchon Club House, but unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The food lacked flavor and finesse, which is surprising given the reputation. Even more frustrating was the poor service — inattentive and unprofessional. Definitely not the standard one would expect from a place carrying the Robuchon name. Would not recommend based on this visit.

Very elegant and relaxed restaurant with great outdoor seating, a well thought out menu and some excellent dishes. We had the supreme de volaille and the dorade, both were exquisite.

A selective place for selective people, food is delicious, staff is nice and attentive, it's overall clean, a bit pricey but nothing you wouldn't expect for the quality provided, I'll surely come back soon

I’m really glad I booked Riad Zyo. It is very central, but once you step inside it is quiet and very relaxing. The staff is super friendly and doing everything in their way to make you comfortable. The breakfast was super, fresh food, fresh make omelette. Rooms are spacious. It would’ve been nice to have a little fridge in the room to cool water. Overall very pleasant stay in a beautiful area + Riad!

Wow! We are staying here as I write. This is one of the most comfortable small hotels I’ve stayed in anywhere in the world. A modern update of a traditional riad, or house with solid exterior walls and interior rooms surrounding on open courtyard with a pool. I’ve included only a picture of the ceiling in our room to make sure you understand this isn’t in a public area. That ceiling is in in our bedroom! Every detail throughout is made for relaxed comfort. We came back from touring in the heat today and my wife took off all of her long clothing and we sat in our bathing suits, hers a bikini, around the pool drinking beer before a fabulous lunch. Great service and wonderful food! We highly recommend this hotel for its proximity to the real Morocco and as an oasis from its heat.

We stayed one night at Riad Zyo. The room was beautifully designed, featuring elegant stained glass windows and grand doors. The architecture is a work of art. The property was clean, well-maintained, and provided a comfortable stay. I would recommend the riad to start providing private transfer services from the train station but otherwise it was a perfect stay.

Amazing place, the sunset on the terrace is pure magic, the rooms are generous and the staff is one of the most helpful and friendly I have ever met. We can’t wait to come back ♥️

Located within the Rabat madina; close to all the main attractions within 15-20 mts walking distance. Get a full local cultural experience. Rooms are clean, reasonable amenities. Manager/ Owner was ok; not overtly friendly or informative. Breakfast is ala carte and they cook to your taste.

Beautiful Riad, Lovelig People work here. Helped us with everything from medical care to booking of train for another city. I will warmely recommend this place. Loved this Riad.

No hot water, cannot take a shower on 40-degree days. If you want that you can come to this place. Staff promised that it would be fixed. I trusted them once. The second night. No fix. No decent human being would accept that, plus different staff members kicking you around like a football. What a lie.

I had a death in the family and requested the hotel to make an exception and cancel my non-refundable room (1 night) as I had to cancel my entire trip. Property outright declined myself and Expedia. No matter how many good things people might say, the service and business practices that don't accommodate exception for customers who are truly in need of some leeway, displays a complete lack of respect for their customers and horrible business ethics.

They charged me MAD 44 per person per night for tax although only MAD 13.2 was stated during booking! The service is poor either!! Only one towel was provided. We repeatedly made request to a lady at the counter for one more towel. She promised twice to send it to my room but it was not received until we made further request to another lady in the next evening.

I made my first reservation on December 9th which I realized it was the wrong date after I paid, but couldn't go back and make any changes as it was the 10th in Rabat, so I had Expedia call to either make the changes or cancel it, but they found hostility and refusal to do anything, knowing that I made a second reservation but this time with the correct dates. When I got to the hotel and explained my situation, I received the same reaction that Expedia employees received when they were trying to solve my issue. The logic thing would have been to refund me as I paid for the same room twice, either by mistake or not but I'm dealing with thieves not normal human beings.....So yourselves a favor stay away from this place.....oh by the way they let people use their rooms for people to have sex.

Very nice location, close to railway station, 10 mnts walking. Very clean , not well equipped kitchen. You have to buy all necessary grocery like sugar, salt, coffee, tea etc.

Annoying rule they have in place, 1 towel per adult, if some guest used both towels to dry body and head, the other will just have to deal with, no exception in place and a little to no understanding from the front desk, the smoking smell is in the lobby and outside of the building thanks to the business next door where some kids and young people with motorcycles gather to play fuse ball and smoke. Not sure a would go back again.
