Bungalow 6 is a popular dance club located in La Plaza Foch, Quito. It's known for its diverse crowd, attracting both locals and foreigners. The club features a lively atmosphere with a dance floor, pool table, lounge area, and serves delicious bar food. The music played includes Latin tunes and current international hits. On Wednesdays, the club hosts Ladies Night with free drinks for women until 10 pm.
Nice place to go dancing. I went on a Wednesday and it was pretty empty. I would recommend going on a Friday or Saturday probably a lot more busy. The music was nice mix between pop and reggaeton. The drinks here are also pretty cheap. Definitely worth a visit!
Freddy M — Google review
Good for travellers. It was clean and with good vibes. You can recommend songs! Cheap strong drinks for those that drink alcohol.
Ursula D — Google review
One of the best clubs/bars in Quito. Owner was extremely friendly and great atmosphere. If you want to party definitely come here! Great prices as well!
Joseph M — Google review
If you need to dance this is the place to be in. No entrances fee, inside the disco no one force you too take drinks which is good. Here people come just to dance and that's amazing, music is fantastic. You will find Indian, English and Spanish rock songs. Music mostly played is English that's Great 👍. You won't be disappointed if you love dancing, just be there.
Girish H — Google review
This is one of the best discos in Quito. The music's really good and the environment is also something you'll enjoy. English is spoken here so feel free to order whatever you want.😄
Gustavo C — Google review
Drinks are very accessible. Great atmosphere, lots of foreigners, good music. Its worth mentioning the neighborhood where it's located isn't the safest.
David Á — Google review
It's the most popular dance club in Quito, in my impression. Its nice for reggaeton, electronic music, some American disco and funk. Not a place for salsa, bachata, vallenato, or merengue. Its usually busy and fun though. Its open late and usually you can find an after party at a mystery location if you are friendly.
Arie H — Google review
It's a great disco to dance, drink and it has a good environment to spend with your friends, also they don't cover to girls just boys and it isn't expensive just 5$ plus a drink. Sometimes they have good promos specifically in holidays. Here you could find a lot of foreign people if you want to meet another type of people. It is open until 2 or 3am.

From art and photography exhibitions to live music performances, film screenings, Brownies Festival, Poker Nights, and urban music parties, there's always something happening here. This bohemian hub attracts local talent and provides a less frenzied space for relaxation and entertainment.
Dirty Sánchez delivers a great atmosphere followed by a good selection of drinks with fair prices. If you enjoy good music encapsuled by a bohemian vibe, this is the place to come. Shots prices range from $2-$5, and you can also go for a 2x1 in Cuba libres. Staff is really friendly and the owner/bartender is a pretty chill guy who you will definitely learn something new from.

You have a day for everything! Like some electro? Monday it's the day.. Just one drink? All week it's good!! Hahaha a place we're you can relax, enjoy, dance, drink, party and wake up with no memories! Pd:ask for the flaming lamborghini

Opens mondays. Nice ambient for electronic music. But warmy inside and cold outside
Ramiro R — Google review
Really nice place to go out for a few drinks! The bar has two floors and serves a good choice of cocktails and beer! There is also table service which is great if you don't want the agro of having to queue for ages. Prices are in line with other parts of the area and are therefore a little bit pricey, but still really nice.
Maddog ( — Google review
I like it here very much, not only the drinks and music is good but also the staff is good fun and happy to accommodate your requirements. Small and very popular it gets packed through all the night. Try to get there early and pre drink for the electronic bests and Latin Fusion styles

Really great music bar with cool people and delicious cocktails

Very nice small bar with good pizzas and nice local beer. A good place to go with your other half. The down side is that it's so small that it's almost impossible to get a table on weekends after 7 pm.

Best place in town for a drink you should taste the Flaming Lamborghini I thought out the crystal straws where you can see the drink hit the spot. You can also be accompanied with people who does not drink alcoholic beverages called zanahorias they are mixtures of fruits that are tasty as good god good

Capilla del Hombre is a museum in Quito, Ecuador, dedicated to the celebrated artist Oswaldo Guayasamín. The museum showcases his impressive paintings and sculptures, as well as collections of pre-Columbian and colonial artifacts. Visitors can explore five cultural spaces managed by the Guayasamin Foundation, including the Guayasamin House-Museum and the Maruja Monteverde Hall of Temporary Exhibitions.
An amazing experience. I feel disappointed in myself for only learning about this talented and empathetic artist now. His work captures the pain of the human condition. Being inside his home felt like a truly intimate experience. The guides are all great. The clothing shop in the house is owned by his granddaughter. Her pieces are stunning. Highly recommend!
Kelsey — Google review
I definitely recommend this place. The artist is incredible. He mixes art from the Inca Empire and Picasso to create amazing art. The idea behind this place was that he thought it foolish to have so many churches to a God we do not know exist, but none to humans who have created so many beautiful things unfortunately we also create a lot of pain, and that is a lot of of the source of his paintings. The pain that is caused from one human to another.
Adriana H — Google review
The whole experience is just amazing! The tour thru the former residence of the artist is not only interesting from an artistic point of view but also offers a glimpse into the artists life and beliefs. The museum itself - the capilla - is breathtaking! The art is huge and this building is honoring this artist, who, as i believe, is on of the greatest of the 20th century! The tour guides are very knowledgeable and friendly! Can highly recommend. One of the best museums I have been to.
Lukas T — Google review
I love everything here. I don’t like the style he painted, but I could feel something from his arts and felt like crying. The guides were accelent, if you are not fully aware of Guayasimn, you should join the guide tour which is included in the enterance fee.
Jungah K — Google review
If you enjoy art, this is a fantastic museum to go to. We knew nothing about Guayasamin before our visit but we were blown away by the power of his work, both aesthetically and for its championing of social justice. The architecture is also stunning. The $10 ticket ($5 for seniors) gets you informative guided tours to both the Chapel and his house. There are no set times for the tours; they just arrange it when you show up. Uber from the old city is about $6.
Openpathway — Google review
This ambition temple to peace contains large works by Guayasamìn. They are bold, powerful, and moving. The scale of the whole place is grand and frankly overwhelming. Guayasamìn captured pain and suffering and in this temple, these are in full display. Something was missing though--context. The work and the experience would be much more enhanced if there was more context provided for the paintings. For instance the powerful and unique painting called Napalm is a statement about the Vietnamese war. Many younger visitors will not catch the reference or why this protest painting is so important. Since the museum provides free wi-fi, they can also include QR codes by works for visitors to dig deeper. I would have liked to read or hear the artist's words about the Vietnam war. I am glad I visited, but I was expecting something more intimate. I hear "chapel,"and I imagine smaller spaces for contemplation and reflection. This is a massive monument and temple for peace but also the artist himself. The foundation works hard to persevere and promote Guayasamìn 's work and legacy, but this drowns out the message and import of the chapel .
Peterson T — Google review
We were more than amazed at Guayasamin's artistry. It is truly inspiring. This artist made over 5000 pieces of art in his lifetime. This includes watercolor, acrylic, & oil paintings. He made sculptures and designed jewelry and even furniture. A true artistic genius. He started painting on potato sacks as his family had no money for canvases. He painted at night, hiding from his father, who disapproved of his career choice. His house and studio are shown with a guided tour, either in english or in spanish. There is also a museum with incredible works spanning 3 different art collections. It's definitely a must-see.
Suzanna B — Google review
Perfect combination of architecture and art. Limited number of works, which works well with the huge spaces. Better to visit first the casa, and than the capilla.

The TelefériQo Cable Car offers a thrilling ride to the top of a mountain, providing access to high-altitude hikes and stunning panoramic views. Situated on the hills west of the capital, this ski-lift-type gondola takes visitors to a lofty vantage point, offering an unparalleled perspective of the surrounding landscape.
We came in right before closing was not planned, but it was the best time, barely any crowds, and the view of the sun setting was great. Head up, the swing is an extra climb, so if you're up for it, just be prepared a little for the hike. Shop around for coffee or snacks. For 9 dollars, it's an amazing price, especially for those views.
John P — Google review
Beautiful views, and a fun 18-minute ride for $9 round-trip, less for Ecuadorian nationals. There are two cafes up top, and numerous hiking trails and viewpoints. Careful if you're prone to altitude sickness, the summit is at 12,000ft. Despite 70f degrees in town, it was much colder and quite windy on the mountain, so bring a jacket. I love that dogs are welcome, I rode up with a friendly beagle, and there is a dog park at the top as well!
D F — Google review
This attraction is absolutely worth a visit! 🌄 The entrance ticket is $9, followed by a scenic cable car ride to the top where the adventure really begins. The hike is serious, so be prepared with good shoes and some energy, but it’s incredibly rewarding. Along the way, you’ll find fun spots like a swing and several other unique surprises that make the journey even more enjoyable. Whether you go in the morning or evening, the views are stunning and the atmosphere is beautiful. A perfect mix of nature, activity, and a bit of thrill — highly recommended for anyone looking for a memorable experience!
Vadym P — Google review
A must go to destination, just be sure to acclimate prior to it. Trying to get in touch with nature and altitude, this is the place to go. Love the “swing in the clouds”. Be sure to bring snacks and plenty of water, also keep an eye on the clouds and precipitation as things can change quickly up there. Bring comfortable shoes or hiking boots as the hike is pretty steep. Overall great experience and workout.
Jonathan C — Google review
I highly recommend taking the cable car up to the observation area and then taking the short hike up to the higher tourist point where they have a nice picture area. Be aware that you’re at over 14,000 feet and the air is very thin. Plan on stopping often even though the hike is short (Even our guide was huffing and puffing). However the photos from the top observation area are beautiful.
Waldo J — Google review
Great experience. Absolutely beautiful. Wait for a clear day to get the most out of the trip. We went up in October while it was clear in the old town. Up there it was cold raining and hailing. Despite bad weather, views of mountains and scenery were breathtaking.
Q N — Google review
One of the things you’ll do when u r in Quito. It’s probably better when the sun is out but on a cloudy day hardly worth the $9. We’ll organized and clean though.

Visitors can enjoy biking, soccer, basketball, and even rent paddle boats to explore the park's pond. The park also features football fields, running tracks, playgrounds, and a large skatepark. Additionally, it houses the Quito Exhibition Center and Botanical Gardens.
Parque La Carolina is a vast oasis in the heart of Quito, offering a diverse range of attractions. From children's parks and a BMX park to open gyms and tennis fields, the park caters to various interests. The presence of a lake, running field, and even an American football field adds to its recreational charm. The airplane monument is a unique touch, and the sight of police on horses enhances the sense of security. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there—whether strolling, exercising, or sipping on a refreshing juice from one of the kiosks. A must-visit for a delightful blend of nature and activities in the heart of the city.

It’s Quito’s Central Park😎😎😎, a very large green space of very well manicured lawns. It’s a very well designed urban park of a multi-use model: walking/jogging and bike paths, football field, children’s playgrounds, large open areas suitable for group activities or cultural/entertainment events. Perhaps a more notable features of the park are the sculptures scattered throughout the park. There’s even one of a dog to mark the designated fenced dog play area. And ahhh … there’s a plane😎

Not a park I would visit if I was out of my way and I was on a trip to Ecuador but it seemed to be pretty nice park. There was a skateboard area and a water area and there seemed to be a lot of people and kids enjoying their time. Probably more of a place for locals rather than tourists
Allen L — Google review
I love staying by parks when I visit new cities and this is the biggest park with most amenities I've seen so far. Multiple soccer, basketball and tennis courts, full size track, skate area, family areas and more. Every city should have something like this.

We loved everything about the park. We started at the botanical garden (A real gem. A definite must do), then walked through the park barefooted (so clean there was never any worry of broken glass), sat in the grass and got grounded, watched the children on the BMX track (Wow!), and thoroughly enjoyed our day there.

Parque El Ejido is a large, lush park with walking paths and weekend art exhibitions. It offers a vibrant atmosphere with food and craft vendors. The park is located near the old town and the lively La Mariscal district, making it a central part of Quito's cultural scene. In addition to exploring the park, visitors can also enjoy nearby attractions such as modern mega-malls for shopping, historic downtown churches, museums, and restaurants.
Great place just to relax. There are also artisans at the main entrance selling good souveniers. I also used the metro here.

A great park with different set of playgrounds for kids. There is an artisan market, bathrooms, and even a plaza for food carts. There is a cute kids library and my kids loved the quietness of the place. They rode kids bikes and tricycles.

Traditional park that has been one of the main gathering places that every person visiting Ecuador has to see. It offers a wide variety of activities, and enough green spaces to even have a cozy picnic or a family outing, a park that has outdoor sport facilities, public toilette's and performance stages conveniently situated. There is ALWAYS something to see there, from many vendor stalls to the weekend artists that gather to sell and, or perform their art way of living
P. F — Google review
Very nice park and I would give it 5 stars, but it has been under construction for over a year now. Lots to do like the artists market, street food, sports, bikes, playground equipment, and various other activities. Just need to be careful. Sometimes there are pick pockets.
Bejat M — Google review
El Ejido is one of the many metropolitan parks in Quito. It is not so big, but it has plenty of trees and spaces to rest. During weekends there are plenty of activities going on such as theater, sports and music. Everyday there is a handcraft market. During nighttime the park is not very safe, and it is a little bit dirty - it is hard to find a spot without garbage in the grass.

DOV:08Jun2014 El Ejido Park of Quito, Ecuador is the second main tourist attraction of Quito (after the drive to mountains). This as got Quito gate at entry with big letters of 'Quito'. This park is too big with good no of trees and greenery. There are many Jung food options too in the garden. Also its good to walk through the streets and you can enjoy good local music being played by the bands. 'Parque El Arbolito' is too close and nearby which contains many man made structures on small garden. Its good to have an afternoon here if you are in Quito. Nearby Attraction: Parque El Arbolito
Fahid K — Google review
This is a great park for walkers, runners & others that want to work out. One of the great things about this park is the beautiful old trees. There are signs that tell you the names of the trees. Many people gather in this park for all types of activities, including cultural dancers & many local vendors selling art, food & a variety of other beautiful local products. This park has a Metro station making your transportation to & from the park very easy. There is a strong security presence at the park at all times. You can rent bicycles at the park & enjoy a complete day of fun & activities at this park.

El Mirador De Guapulo is a hidden gem nestled in the picturesque neighborhood of Guapulo, offering breathtaking views of the Cumbayá Valley and the surrounding Andes mountains. This tranquil viewpoint features a statue of Francisco de Orellana and provides an escape from Quito's hustle and bustle. The lush greenery enveloping the area enhances its charm, making it an ideal spot for photography enthusiasts, especially during sunrise or sunset when the landscape glows with magical light.
A very lovely vista of the village of Guapulo 😎😎😎, just a few meters at the entrance to the city of Quito. On sunny day, one has an excellent view of valley, almost a gorge between two mountains. Guapulo is an old colonial village, about 250 years old from the time of the conquistadores. The most prominent structure of village is the Monastery, with its Byzantine dome. This is a good stop from the UIO airport just at the entrance of Quito’s business district.

Loved Quito! didn’t think I would like it as much as I did. Very interesting lots of things to do and see and the food was great!
Oscar P — Google review
It’s a really cool place to visit during the day. At night it gets a little bit dangerous and there are teenagers sometimes hanging out. You can take really cool pictures and if you want to avoid the cold at night and get a better view I recommend Techo del Mundo in Hotel Quito
D Z — Google review
Nice lookout offside Quito with a beautiful view over a green valley and not to far off from the town centre. From the lookout itself you can take a wonderful walk down the valley to the Church of Guapolo, which is quite beautiful as well.

Very beautiful view but it looks sketchy. A lot if broken glass and I think some homeless people around. Maybe better just to go to local cafe with a view instead. I didn’t feel safe in there

Disco club
If you're looking to immerse yourself in the vibrant salsa scene, Lavoe Salsa Danceclub is a must-visit destination in Quito. This lively salsoteca offers an authentic experience filled with infectious energy and passionate dancers. Whether you’re a seasoned salsa enthusiast or just curious about the dance, you'll find yourself swept up by the rhythm of Latin beats that fill the air.
It is probably the best salsoteca club in Quito. They have many events and the dancing community always go there so you always have many people from all levels to dance with. Service is very attentive, food is quite good. The only downside is that I believe is quite expensive but this is subject to one's own interpretation.

Great music and good band. Dancing is the best attraction!
Luis L — Google review
Es un lugar vibrante. It is a great spot to go to dance salsa, to learn and to see great performing dancers. Most of the people are real dancers, that means it is super rare to see some drunk. So if you are planning to have a great salsa night. This is the place to go!
Gaia E — Google review
Amaizing local place for salsa and bachata dancing! I had a great time.
Lars F — Google review
Great music, good atmosphere, wonderful dancers.
Javier V — Google review
Good salsa place in Quinto. From what I saw the people can dance here, so if you want to dance Salsa or Bachata this is a good place. No merengue that I've noticed, but overall good. Sunday can be a little slow, but Fri or Sat good. They also have Kizomba.
Joseph M — Google review
The venue is fine and all but holy moly are the dancers some of the most creative I’ve seen in Latin/North America. The musicality and artistry are so crazy good. I would have been perfectly happy just watching the dancers all evening. There were so many times I wish I had more several pairs of eyes to watch all of the amazing couples. Truly impressive and a Mecca of Salsa/Bachata dancing in my eyes. Quito of all places!
Karen K — Google review
Music and ambience is great if you're looking for Latin rhythms and dance! Place is big and well decorated. If you are tired of dancing, you can watch salsa teachers and professionals dancing! What an spectacle! So good, I had a very good time here. Only bad thing are cocktails and drinks, little bit overpriced and tasteless

Cultural landmark
Casa Museo Guayasamín is a museum that was created from the home, studio, and art collection of Ecuadorean artist Oswaldo Guayasamín. The museum showcases his personal art collection and design features of the house, providing insight into the artist's influence over decades. Visitors can also explore the neighboring Capilla del Hombre, which focuses on Guayasamín's examination of the suffering of Latin America's indigenous poor.
Please take time to visit this beautiful treasure in Quito. It was recommended to me by a local friend who knew I was interested in art. It was my first visit to Quito and I was unsure about visiting. What an awesome and moving experience to learn about this renowned artist and his passion for his work. Not to be missed!!
Marilyn B — Google review
I have loved everything about my visit at Casa museo Guayasamin. It was interesting to learn a bit more about this amazing artist. The guides are very knowledgeable. The views from the house to the mountains are amazing.
Fermin G — Google review
This intimate and full immersion into the life and art of Guayasamìn is a must visit for art lovers. In addition to seeing many of the artist's works on display, you will also see his vast collection of art from pre-columbian pottery and bowls to modern masters. An atheist, Guayasamìn, has a large collection of religious art created by indigenous people in the Quito school. These are displayed the way the artist wanted them to be seen. Look for lots of angles and saints with their eyes 👀 cast towards the sky. The house is beautiful and the studio is stunning. You can see his workspace, tools, and paints, along with his work. The house tour was excellent, but I wanted more time to.soend with the many pieces on display. It is packed with beautiful and intriguing art, and I found myself wanting more time to view pieces up close. The collection on the ground floor is breathtaking. You.see from his earliest works, Guayasamìn is a gifted and visionary artist.

An absolute must-see if you’re in Quito. The Casa Museo Guayasamín is a beautiful and deeply moving place that captures the spirit and intensity of one of Latin America’s greatest artists. Guayasamín’s work is powerful, emotional, and full of humanity — you can feel his passion and pain in every brushstroke. The museum itself is stunning, located in a peaceful area with beautiful architecture and views that complement the art perfectly. Walking through the house feels like entering the artist’s world — intimate, reflective, and full of history. It’s a place that touches you on many levels and leaves you thinking long after you leave. A truly unforgettable cultural experience in Quito.
Juan C — Google review
These are two locations in one, both of them imagined by the great artist before his death. His private home gathers some of his personal belongings and pieces of art that he collected throughout his lifetime. The museum below some of his recent pieces and illustrate his own art. Both locations are a unique opportunity to discover the artist and his living environment.
Christophe G — Google review
Great experience. The guided tour in Spanish or English is included with the price of the ticket. One of the hidden gems of Quito
Ganesh G — Google review
How great an experience learning about this man, his art and his collections, is impossible for me to put into words. His horror of concentration camps in Germany during WWII reflects our horror in the U.SA. today in 2025. 7/21/2025
Rick J — Google review
First we thought it was expensive with the 10$ before understanding we would have a guide in the house and an other one at the center (both with paintings from Guayasamin). Amazing museum. We loved the mixed of the stunning paintings and the architecture/interior design. Only minus is that we felt like the tour in the house was very rushed. We clearly showed that we wanted a second to actually look at the paintings but we always ”had” to move to the next room. You cannot walk around on your own so we definitely missed enjoying many of the paintings.

(Translated by Google) magnificent museum. Since the museum deals with the history of the country, it would have been relevant to mention the political repression that Alba Calderón and her husband suffered under the dictatorship. The biography presented on the second floor omits it. (Original) magnifico museo.
