Oh my god, this cannoli place is a must try. There are five different filling and topping options and they fill them freshly upon order. I had a small one orange ricotta filling with pistachios and orange topping, and it was heavenly. My friends were super happy with what they ordered. They also serve granite and ice creams. I’m definitely going back today to try other options.

The gluten free cannoli are what I was hoping for and they are delicious. The service is nice too. I’m putting one star as the gluten free went from 3.80 to 4.50€ in a week! 20% inflation for us gluten free people. So I put one star hoping the owner will revise this price policy .

Best Cannoli I have ever tried. This is probably one of the best places in Sicily to try cannoli and if you come to Palermo you must stop by. The shell is crunchy but not too hard, just perfect, and they have different fillings to choose from and toppings to add on the sides. The fillings are also spot on, creamy but not overly sweet, just perfect. I tried the classic, pistachio, and hazelnut. I could not fault any! Also, a very good touch, if you are allergic to nuts, they will prepare yours at the back to avoid any potential cross contamination.

We went here at sunset for dinner and we were looked after from the moment we entered, We were allowed to choose our table as it was a little quieter than usual, and we had a nice view over the city, unfortunately there was a cloud partially in the way of Etna otherwise we would have had a lovely view of the volcano. The food was presented nicely, and tasted really good, the one thing I would say is the breadsticks were a little bit stale but otherwise tasty. We got the chef recommended rosè which was lovely and balanced, The only thing that we could really say was it took a little long for the waiter to ask us about deserts or for us to get their attention to pay the bill, but it was overall a very nice experience. The prices are on the pricier side but very similar to other rooftop restaurants and quality of the dishes does justify the price in my opinion.

Drinks were lovely though on the higher end- €12 for a campari spritz. Of the three dishes, the pork belly was delicious and we wanted more. The risotto dish we wanted more seasoning, and the paccheri dish ..we wanted more cooking. Only the pork was a solid pass; the other two were very disappointing. It didn't need to be this way. The views are good, the atmosphere was nice and the accessibility was good (easy to find and get to the roof top bar/restaurant). Overall...maybe a 5.5 or 6 out of 10. The prices were "ok", but the portion sizes somewhat small.

By far my favourite bar we have been to in Catania, they have a cool system consisting of no menu - simply describe what type of drink you want and they will conjure it up for you. The staff were very kind, willing and curated drinks exactly to our requests, I even managed to get a recipe for a drink I specifically enjoyed! We had the parmigiana, the caponata, ravioli, pasta alle sarde, and pasta al limone. All were exceptional. Classics cooked in an excellent way. On our second visit we were even recognized by the owner which was really lovely.

So glad we managed to find this place on our last night in Taormina. The service was excellent (the chef even popped out to say hello), the food was delicious (probably the best pasta ever) and the atmosphere vibrant! Recommend booking as people were queuing down the street!

Very nice food, different than what you get to the other restaurants. We tried 3 different dishes from the special menu and they all were delicious. Ravioli with shrimps is a must try, also the breadcrumbs fish. We were asked to move to a different table that what we sat and they gave my husband a free beer because of that. This is really nice and shows very good customer service. The restaurant is located outside the crowded area so prices are also good. Definitely want to try the place.

Amazing sandwiches. Prosciutto mozzarella and tomato. spicy ventricina salami baked ricotta grilled peppers mixed salad chili pate spread and two small beers. Bread had sesame seeds. YUM! Place was packed and wildly efficient and service fast. We ended up going inside after lunch and buying more food, bread and goods to go.

This was our absolute favourite place!! We made this part of our morning routine - we would run in the morning and then end with a coffee and we had two different GO TO meals. Burrata with the zucchini and quince jam! This with the mortadella was insane flavours. We also tried the salad croissants which is where you can choose the same filling as the sandwiches but in the croissants. We also took sandwiches down to the beach one day- we were told that the sandwich bar next door was average and this could be true even though we didn’t try next door! Great staff - a serious institution!!

Enjoyed our roll (fresh, crusty bread) & salad. Very busy place at lunch time on a Friday but great atmosphere.

Exceptional service, local Palermitan feel. Went based on an older Rick Steves reco. Disappointingly simple under seasoned lackluster food. Grilled caciocavallo was salty and seared, slightly squeaky and just ok. Bucatini con le sarde I specifically asked to confirm that it was made with saffron (waiter assured me that it absolutely was), but there was not the slightest hint of saffron (or raisins or fennel or pine nuts) in the dish which was instead packed with lots and lots of bread crumbs. Tongue was lacking in any clear taste, but the accompanying celery leaf green sauce was fantastic. Mixed salad was only fine. Waiter was fantastic... very friendly, informative, and a jokester. If you want a bland yet authentic experience, give it a shot. I should have tried the tortellini in brodo, but will not be going back. Saffron potatoes were bland, crying out for salt. Seven veils and semifreddo desserts did not taste fresh at all.

This place was a fantastic discovery. The food was delicious, from the starters to the main courses. Our waiter was exceptional; despite us having a mix of different languages, he handled it incredibly well. I wouldn't hesitate to return.

Good food in a spacious bright Restaurant. We had the polpo in a fennel flavoured potato mash, the tortellini in broth, Sea urchin spaghetti and grilled swordfish. I was expecting the small Bolognese tortellini, and was slightly disappointed at the size of the pasta but the taste was good. Swordfish could have done with a bit more seasoning. Service was good.

The food was disappointing, one of our worst experience in 25 years in Italy. The polpo was undercooked, the tortellini in brodo were mediocre, the brodo was too salty. I guess the chef was on vacations! Bred was excellent though.

Very nice restaurant with great workers. The food was good but not excellent. I ordered the Pasta alla Norma, however I also tasted the pasta with sword fish and eggplant and the pork chop. The Pasta alla Norma was the best of the three.

As a tourist visiting for the first time, I was excited to try Caffè Costanzo after seeing some great reviews. I showed a photo from one of those reviews where the coffee looked exactly like what I was hoping to get—a smooth latte blend. Strangely enough, the table next to me received just that. But despite showing the photo and clearly asking for the same, I was still served a standard cappuccino with a heavy white foam top. I understand this might be the norm in Italy, but if a customer takes the time to show what they want, it’s disappointing to not be heard, especially when others are getting that exact thing.

Nice option for pastries and juice/coffee. They're open early and speak great English so it's easy to order. We got multiple delicious croissants and some danish adjacent pastries. My toddler really lived the chocolate croissants! Had a great experience doing both sit down and take away. They also have some other deserts that looked pretty delicious.

We got the strawberry and mulberry granitas. Very sweet but refreshing. Both have seeds in them, but are very flavorful. The mulberry granita has larger seeds. I probably would have liked it more without them. The atmosphere was really nice as it was a block off the main road and was a little quieter.

Absolutely the best gelato I had in Noto, perhaps all of Sicily. Amazing value too, an absolute must visit!

Asked for ice, milk and espresso, got a granita with a bit of ice, had to ask for more milk and still super sweet. It’s one thing to offer something local, but it’s not okay to take a customer’s order and change it.

Excellent quality gelato, even better when served with a brioche roll. Just one block away from the main street, it is in a peaceful setting.

The food was enjoyable, and the tasting menu was ample enough to satisfy, but there are better value options in Palermo. Unfortunately, the service was lacking. While some waiters were more professional, our main server was unenthusiastic and mumbling when describing the dishes. Despite informing him of my friend’s onion allergy, the main course still arrived with a whole onion in the center of the plate. The atmosphere was excellent, and they have a terrace. However, requesting an outdoor table during booking seems pointless, as we overheard other guests being told the terrace was full, even though they had specifically requested it in advance.

The tuna steak was wow, soft inside and with that little crust outside, really tasty, maybe even too good because I was thinking about it the whole evening. The pasta with prawns on the other side was also super fresh, smelled like sea, I even stole a fork from my friend. Service was good, the waiter was calm, explained slowly, like he had all the time, he even showed the wine bottle like in a movie. Prices… not cheap, I mean you feel it, but then you look at the plate and it makes sense, more classy than the usual place. I noticed the tables were not squeezed, space to breathe, and music was quiet in the back, sometimes I almost forgot it was playing. I regret not trying dessert, they passed by our table with one that looked like a small piece of art, next time for sure.

Absolutely spectacular. The food was creative in all the right ways and the service was perfectly attentive but not overbearing. Pietro was fantastic! Just what we were looking for to try some regional specialties. Definitely recommend the tasting menu - seasonal and delicious. We thought the fish course was a tad overcooked but still delicious in its zebra preparation. Make sure to try the chef’s homemade limoncello with your dessert.

Had a lovely experience! Food was delicious and well plated. Staff was very friendly and their English was quite good, which is always an unexpected bonus when eating out abroad. Only point of feedback would be more consistent timing of dishes for the tasting menu- sometimes they immediately brought the next dish, sometimes 5 min, or for the desert we waited what seemed like 15-20 minutes. Overall a great dinner!

It was a bit empty with people, could be in relation to being there a Wednesday evening. Food and the wine pairing for the degustazione 7 was amazing and I can highly recommend.

I had one of the most amazing meals of my life here. I visited L’ottava nota while visiting Palermo. I wish i could live here long enough to become a regular at this restaurant. I had the seven course tasting menu along with the seven wine pairings. All the courses were incredibly delicious and all but one had me making happy food noises. The wine pairings elevated and matched the food perfectly. I never imagined that truffle ice cream could be part of an appetizer course and take three delicious dishes (foi gras, raw tuna, and beet) to a level I had never imagined. This course will live in my mind forever.

This is a gourmet restaurant, so the portions are in keeping with the concept of a sensory experience and aren't filling. There's no need to comment on the food because it was all excellent. The drinks are a pleasant twist on the classics; I recommend the Negroni and the Sicilian Spritz. The style and ambiance of the restaurant are delightful; the conversion of a warehouse into a beautifully designed space. The service was prompt. The prices were steep but in line with expectations.

Modern spot in the heart of Noto, with a stylish, artistic decoration that gives the place a fresh vibe compared to many traditional trattorie around. The food is excellent ,creative dishes, well presented, and with a nice balance between Sicilian roots and modern touches. Prices are decent for the quality, definitely not overpriced. Loved the sea urchin pastaaaaa🤌🏾 The only small downside: the service felt a bit average,polite but not particularly attentive. Still, the overall experience was very positive, and I’d recommend it if you’re looking for a modern dining experience in Noto.

The vongole with mussels and the pasta with prawns lacked the vibrancy and depth that only truly fresh seafood can provide. As someone who regularly buys fresh mussels in Ganzirri and prepares them at home, I found the contrast striking. We had a wonderful dinner here with excellent service. The food was delicious, particularly the ravioli they had. We enjoyed the wine selection as well. Would recommend for weary travelers after a long day eating Sicilian pastry!

Over the past years there is a lower quality in food and service. I used to love this restaurant but unfortunately, food taste is nothing compared to the past. Pasta Norma and meat are same quality of a normal Trattoria but of course the price change, which it’s not worthy anymore. Hopefully the owner will realised that they need to go back to how the restaurant was.

We loved this place. We came here twice during our trip to eat the mussels with fries. We couldn't get enough of the gorgonzola sauce. The wines we tried also paired really well with the food.

This restaurant is truly committed to local and seasonal cuisine. The mussels with gorgonzola are one of their signature dishes and definitely worth trying. We had the daily specials, pasta with figs and smoked tuna as well as pasta with swordfish. Both dishes were exceptionally well balanced and full of flavor. Dining here is always a safe and satisfying choice, with a menu that reflects both creativity and respect for tradition

If you’re in Ortigia, this is the place to go. The food is locally sourced and the flavours are great. Especially when paired with a bottle of Italian or local Sicilian wine. The owner, Fabrizio and the whole staff are great. Really welcoming, friendly, professional and all proficient in English. Even the crowd is a mix of Italians, locals but also many tourists from all over! Great atmosphere and we got also a nice band playing live music for the restaurant. Food recommendations from me: the octopus in Love and the fresh pasta with Sicilian local red prawns and truffle shavings. Don’t forget to try the traditional almond biancomangiare. Super light, flavourful and simple dessert. The basil panna cotta is also a favourite. I would definitely visit again. Highly recommended! Five stars

I went here on April 09, 2025 for dinner. I did not know that the restaurants in Sicily don't open until 7p.m., so different than USA. The seafoods I ordered was okay. It's actually kinda bland for me. The mixed vegetables were a little bitter for my taste. Both seafoods and veggies were grilled. Kind of bland for me. I use lots of herbs and spices when I cook my foods. The meat that the other customers ordered looked good though; maybe I should have ordered that instead. However, I just wanted to try the seafoods because they're close to the ocean and I don't eat those often in Arizona, USA. The cafe latte tasted awesome! The service was okay; nothing so special but I still gave tip. Welcoming place. I kind of did not like though when men were standing outside the entrance. I think they're chatting and smoking while standing out there that night. It made me feel uncomfortable as they looked at me when I went out.

Food is very tasty and fresh, meat (fillet) was excellent, and served nicely. Side dishes (salad, potato, etc.) were also well prepared and served. I have to say that the dessert, was delicious and really sealed the deal. Staff are very friendly, and seems that the restaurant have many local and usual customers and around (Italian) dinner time it becomes very busy, you will enjoy the friendly atmosphere and hospitality.

Super friendly staff, we waited only 5 minutes (without booking in advance). The PIZZA NORMA was exceptionally good, what an amazing combination of mozzarella and ricotta. We also had RAVIOLI filled with grouper, also super good with the pistacchio sauce. Would come back anytime! PS: Pizza was so good, forgot to take a pic earlier 😅

Firstly make sure you have a reservation, it’s worth it to avoid disappointment. Use WhatsApp to make a seamless reservation. Pizza was exceptional as was the warmth of the service. Pricing was amazing and no pressure to leave due to lots of people waiting. The restaurant is a long way from Colorado but was a great feature of our trip. My wife even got a picture with the manager.

The restaurant was okay. It was in a very touristic area so we didn't expect it to be outstanding even with the great reviews. The lights were flickering, the bread seemed to be one day old and the service didn't seem to be so motivated except at the end. The squid ink spaghetti was really nice though, but the rigatoni were okay. It came with grilled eggplant that didn't quite fit in the dish somehow. If you want to eat here and sit outside you should definitely make a reservation. We didn't so we were sitting inside where it was quite dark and the acoustic made it hard to understand each other.

I went for dinner, the place is quite pricy for the quality and the service. I ordered a pizza and a fried platter. The pizza wasn’t that great, and the platter wasn’t even cooked properly. The staff was a group of kids but quite disoriented. I don’t recommend it at all!

Don't waste your time or money with this restaurant. As per usual staff were friendly when you stand and read their menu. Myself and my wife took the chance to eat their. What a mistake. Our drinks and food order were promptly taken. I order prawn/shrimp cocktail to start. It was little more than a bowl of lettuce and sauce, with very few prawns to be seen and priced at €15. Definitely not worth it. For mains i had fried fish with French fries and my wife had seafood risotto with a salad. When the food arrived, I requested some salt for the fries. Even though the waiter acknowledged this, it obviously fell on deaf ears as I had to request a second time from a different waiter. If these were the only faults, it probably wouldn't be so bad. But they weren't. My fried fish was tasteless and probably would have benefited with some dipping sauces. My wife's risotto dish was too watery and did not taste like the rice was cooked properly. But worse was still to come. As the table was being cleared, I asked for the food bill. Myself and my wife were just in the process of finishing our last glass of wine each when one of the front of house staff approached us and suggested we hurry up and leave. To which my wife responded by showing him, a nearly full glass of wine. He then turned on his heals and walked off without apologising. We had noticed two elderly females and a young couple also receiving a 'hurry up' and finish up from staff. This is obviously down to the fact that the staff were afraid of losing other potential customers that were waiting on tables. At this stage we had only been on the premises about one hour. Hardly over stretching our welcome. Needless to say, this was the worst behaviour I have ever seen from staff (mainly the front of house) and would strongly advise anyone against wasting their time and money on eating at this restaurant. Very disappointing

Great ambience in front of Duomo but that’s where it ends. Waiters took their time to take our order. My husband ordered a pizza which was very average and I ordered the lemon veal scallopini. Nothing special to write home about. No sides with veal. We were ignored most of the time and then when we needed to pay, they turned their nose up at the request to pay by card. Suddenly there was no reception, even though my husband’s phone had internet. Extremely arrogant and rude.

This restaurant was so good we went back two nights in a row! We had the most delicious pizza – perfectly baked with incredible flavor – and the pasta was just as amazing. The spaghetti alle vongole was fresh and full of taste, while the pistachio ravioli was absolutely unforgettable. Every dish we tried was outstanding, the service was warm and friendly, and the atmosphere made us feel right at home.

This place suffers from the we-are-located-by-a-famous-site syndrome. That is, all views and facade, but substance is kinda lacking. The pizza, for example, was way below average. Spaghetti was ok though kind of heavy, ..the worse thing in a place like this is, however, the feeling you get that they wish you would eat quickly and go away, so that others may take your table. It's this constant pressure that makes waiters to ask multiple times if you've finished your food, ..even if it's clear, your plates are not empty or when your cutlery is out of the "finished" position. One more spicy story...we ordered a wine carafe, which was brought in relatively quickly but..without wine glasses, which is when one ends up staring at something that is just beyond reach. So..sorry, this isn't the place to really enjoy food and drink. Just to pass by quickly...

Prime location and fantastic vue. Poor service,waiters were tired. Food was horrible. They just put lettuce from sink to plate. Cheese was hard and from an industrial brand. Rucola salade was withered. Some small bread with tomato sauce were ok. I hope they review the freshness of their food. It’s a pity

Sat for a long period of time waiting to be served. No bread & oil were offered, even though other tables had. We ordered starters and mains . The service was extremely slow and poor. The starters seemed like they were bought from a cash n carry mass produced, stuffed fried olives and fried mozzarella. Both of which were cold in the centre and slightly warm on the outside as if theyvwere microwaved. For mains, we ordered pizza, which was served luke warm and was very bland. Then we weren't able to pay as the card machine didn't work, strange how all other tables paid this way. Keep a wide birth of this place, looks definitely decive!!!! 🤌🤌🤌🤌

Very nice dinner in Toarmina. Of note was the parmigiana and the artichoke pasta. The fennel balls also very good. I found the tuna a bit disappointing hence the 4 stars. All in all a very good evening on the terrace of this small and tasty restaurant.

We landed at Tischi Toschi after trying to get a seat at other restaurants without success. They were able to accommodate us right away, and the atmosphere of the restaurant was very charming. We enjoyed that it was a bit tucked away from the busy areas. Our server was very attentive! As for food - the fennel balls were incredibly delicious and unique, but the mains were a bit smaller than we were hoping for the price point. The food still tasted great though!

Tischi Toschi is another hidden gem tucked away on one of Taormina’s many enchanting little side streets. It’s a laid-back spot with colorful plates and food that feels wonderfully true to its Sicilian roots. We went for the classics: wild fennel balls and pasta alla Norma and spaghetti with sardines. they were as comforting and delicious as you’d hope. The setting is adorable, with both indoor and outdoor seating decorated in traditional Sicilian style, giving it so much character. And then comes the magic: while you eat, the owner strums his guitar, and if you’re lucky, local musicians might appear in the street to play traditional Italian songs – even the Godfather theme 😝. It’s an experience that’s as joyful and authentic as the food itself.

Would have liked to have reviewed Tischi Toschi but can’t sadly. We were recommended this restaurant by our hotel. We were passing at 6pm and a person was laying up tables. We asked if we could book for 8pm. The man was uninterested and short with us. He said it was only possible to book by WhatsApp and thrust a business card into our hands. All a bit odd and unnecessary as we were at the restaurant and it was empty. In our 5 day trip to Sicily this was the only unwelcoming venue. Maybe the chap was having a bad day? Anyway, needless to say we did not book by WhatsApp or at all ! There’s a lot of choice in Taormina so I suggest giving this place a swerve.

The atmosphere has so much character. It's cozy, intimate, and full of local charm and the staff were wonderfully welcoming and knowledgeable. A truly authentic dining experience. A tucked away restaurant filled with tasty, local dishes. The Carob pasta, stewed tuna and eggplant parmigiana were the highlights of the evening. Everything was very fresh and didn’t leave you feeling heavy.

I find it difficult to recommend this restaurant in its current state. At first glance, it promises an elegant and authentic Sicilian dining experience - but unfortunately, it falls short. While the presentation is attractive and the service passable, the overall quality doesn’t justify the price. The flavors are present but muted, and the portions are underwhelming. The atmosphere is decent, but an unpleasant sewage odor significantly detracts from the experience. That said, with some thoughtful improvements - particularly to flavor and ambiance - this place has the potential to offer an excellent experience. For now, however, I’d suggest exploring other options for a truly satisfying Sicilian meal.

I wish I could give this restaurant 6 stars. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like family. We asked them to choose the wine and the food, figuring that they knew the menu better than we did, and we were right. Each dish they brought was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Finally, the cost is very reasonable for what it is. We will definitely return!

The food, service, and ambiance of Ristorante Quattro mani is unbeatable. Everything my wife and I had was fantastic! The truffle ravioli and citrus crusted swordfish was out of this world. We ended the meal with the classic limone granite. Very attentive staff, too! Highly recommend.

This was by far the worst meal I had in Italy. While the atmosphere and service are ok, the food was an utter disappointment. The raw prawns were incredibly pungent compared to other sweet, clean tasting raw prawns I had elsewhere in Sicily, and the pastas lacked any flavor and complexity. Go elsewhere.

I rarely give a restaurant 10/10 points, but Quattro mani deserves full points for both the food and the service. The steak was perfectly cooked topped with delicious potatoes. Top visit of the trip. Owned by two brothers with their mom doing the cooking. Amazing pasta and steak. Worth to travel for. Kids friendly also and great wine card.

Delicious pastas and great grilled meats. Very inexpensive compared to the quality. We had 2 delicious pasta and a very nice grilled meats with green peppercorns, rosemary, and olive oil. The meat in particular was soooo good. The cannolis felt a bit tired when we there. Great selection of wines. Service was very friendly and helpful. Room was very traditional and nice. Ristorante San Giorgio e il Drago is a true hidden gem offering traditional cuisine from the slopes of Etna. Every dish is full of authentic Sicilian flavor, prepared with care and respect for local ingredients. The wine list is excellent, with a thoughtful selection that perfectly complements the food — especially if you're exploring Etna wines. And the best part? All of this comes at very fair prices. Warm service, genuine flavors, and great value — a must-visit when you're in the area.

Wonderful dinner. Massively recommend. Excellent, knowledgeable and kind staff; fun atmosphere with a combination of tourists and people who seemed local/regulars. Exceptional lamb tortellini, delicious steak and chef went out their way to make vegan vegetable options. Enjoyed with fantastic wines, and coffee!

Good restaurant. Friendly service. Unfortunately, you won't get a good salad here. Wine is not cheap, 6 euro for a glass, but you have a selection of wines by a glass. Decor is - dusty plastic plants. The bread was absolutely delicious - served warm and crispy.

Trancio Pizzeria brings a completely different pizza experience. The Pizza is thick, airy slices with bold toppings that feel both nostalgic and new. The garden area is super relaxed, and the whole place has that laid-back Milan vibe. Definitely the kind of pizza you remember long after. I attached photos of both the Diavola and the Deliziosa. Come and give it a go when you have some time, would recommend it if you want to try something new and not a Roman Pizza or Napoletana.

We tried the meatballs and they were absolutely delicious and full of flavor. The freshly baked bread was soft, fluffy, and nicely seasoned, a perfect match to the meal. The cheese platter was also great, with good variety and taste. Overall, everything was really tasty.

Our Dining experience was amazing, staff were very friendly and food was divine. We ate the Kataifi Prawns for entre, mains were lasagne and rabbit gnocci. Absolutely delicious, would go back again!

What an amazing cuisine experience. The food is like art on a plate and you feel like heaven on earth. Everything was amazing. Highly recommended. We stayed in the internal yard and it was so nice,quite and calm atmosphere.

22/3/2022 Rossini is the only Place , I am willing to eat while I am visiting Malta, but unfortunately, I just discover few day before I am back to UK. I am very happy to discover this restaurant, as I think this is the place where you can find tasted and real fine food with the chic interior ambiance decorated with high taste. And art painting which exposed and creat by the talented staff ( his name Struli) are amazing. Me and husband was very satisfied with the service and hospitality of the chef and the staff. This is the place We highly recommend if you like fine and tasteful food. And also for value of money. Definitely come back one day visiting Malta again . Genuine great place. Staff super attentive and made you feel like they liked you being there and enjoying their jobs. Food was excellent and superb value for money. Place was full but you never felt unattended. Really worth visiting. Really!! But do book in advance to not be disappointed and they have nice courtyard for when weather good and warm for al fresco dining.

Very cute place with lovely staff. The cocktails were very good and not expensive for the quality. I also advice you to taste the caramelle farcite (fried pizza dough with various fillings) it is surely heavy but soooo yummy ! One portion is enough for two as an apetizer.

The burger was very tasty; it came with some fries, but if you’re very hungry I would consider getting one of the dishes off of the Sfizi menu. Amazing place to have dinner with the one you love or simply with friends. The place is amazingly decorated, the service is stunning and the pizza is good.

My wife and I visited one Saturday for dinner and we had a mixed experience at this well established fine dinning establishment. It's worth noting that the restaurant is a little way outside of Piazza Armerina at a T-junction, so could be easily missed. The good points; The food was intriguing, tasty and well cooked. I loved my aubergine ravioli, which delivered on all fronts. My wife's pasta with vegetable cream, broad beans and bacon was a solid offering. My quail dish was flavoursome and interesting (in a good way) and my wife's lamb provided a generous portion of minty chops (albeit the potato accomplishment could have been hotter). My Panna cotta was deliciously soft and creamy, with a pleasing crunchy almond crumble (albeit the cherries were a little subtle of flavor). My wife's "a tiramisu" was an intriguing take on the classic pudding. Wine started at a very reasonable 22€ a bottle, with many options going all the way up into the 1000’s or Euros. There did not appear to be any options by the glass, so we chose a very decent Grillo for 35€. The less good points; We arrived at 1930 on a Saturday (opening time) and we were the only diners until our pudding course, when we were joined by another couple (at around 9pm). It was therefore very quiet and the atmosphere was somewhat stilted. We were greeted by the lady who appeared to be in charge of the front of house, however, we clearly did not meet the sartorial standards she was hoping for, as she did a poor job of hiding some disapproving glances! This did not give a good impression of hospitality and she gave a disparaging and somewhat distant impression thoughout our visit. For the record I was wearing a short sleeved shirt and chino shorts, my wife was wearing shorts and a vest-top; surely smart enough for dinner after a day's sightseeing!? This spoiled the experience somewhat and was only added to by a couple of other small points. It transpired that wine could be had by the glass, but it wasn't offered and the snooty energy we received put us off asking. We had one 5€ bottle of water, but a second was opened and started without being asked if we wanted it (we drank less than half of it, as it wasn't really required). The bill of 155€ seemed steep given these shortcomings and we wouldn't visit again.

The food es outstanding, ver good seasoned flavors. The restaurant was recommended by a lo cual tourist guide, it was greatly appreciated, my husband and I had a wonderful experience.

We learn that when you travel you must do at times what the “locals” due and that’s have LUNCH! So we did, and what a great experience it was. The food was special. We started with a soup that had a favs been base with fennel and a piece of cod, which was exceptional. For the entree we both had a pork loin, with a anchovy pistachio sauce served with fresh asparagus and a chocolate side sauce. Very interesting flavor profile. For desert, what else, a cannoli. The wine list is very accomodating with local wines and wines from all over Italy. This is a must eat place either for lunch or dinner! P.s. they also have on the menu what’s called a “sandwich to go” it’s not to go but it looks extraordinary

This place is a must! It was a pleasant surprise to find such a cool place in central Sicily. This is not just another pizza/pasta ristorante, this place is something Gordon Ramsey dreams of when dreaming about italian cuisine. The food was delicious, remarkable and staff extremely professional.

BEWARE, TOURIST TRAP! Probably the worst restaurant I have been in Sicily. The prawns where most probably frozen. It tasted like nothing. Not even the tomato sauce was good. They took longer than 1 hour to bring us that dish and only other 2 tables where occupied. There where noises of workers using power tools during lunch. The toilet sink looks like this, make your own opinion about the place. Just pick any other restaurant at random and you will be better than here.

A small intimate and cozy restaurant hidden near the village of Scopello. There is a parking lot. Amazing view and atmosphere of the restaurant! Wonderful, friendly service, freshly caught fish and seafood. You can sit there for hours and feel the real local, homey atmosphere. The food is delicious and prepared from the heart.

The service was excellent - attentive but relaxed - and the food was delicious. Portions are generous. They also had a great selection of cocktails; my sister had the clover club (pictured) and loved it. The eggplant appetizer was also amazing. The two men who took care of us spoke excellent English - which we really appreciated - and were very kind and funny. A beautiful location. Grazie for a wonderful dinner!

Never left a review before, but today's experience was outrageous. Starters were great, lemonade was great, but the main course took an hour, although the place was mostly empty. The dish itself, white fish, was dry and very mid. The price was misleading. On a question "how much one fish is going to cost" (we were very specific), the answer was "17€"... the actual price was 65€, because apparently it was "17€ per kilo" In total 100€ spent on a mediocre food and disappointing experience. Absolutely do not recommend.

We went on a monday night. We ordered two cocktails, bruschetta, shrimps, tuna steak and roasted potatoes and paid 90 euros. When we wanted to order, half of the stuff on the menu was missing. The cocktails were incredibly average with little alcohol. We got 2 types of bruschetta’s although the menu promised 3 types but at least they were good. My tuna steak was overcooked and full of bones. My girlfriend had shrimp which were 25 euros and she only got four. The only thing that was really good was the roasted potatoes. When we wanted to pay we had to wait for 15 minutes because all of the staff were ignoring us. Overall a bad experience.

Very good restaurant and great views. I loved the tuna fish with pistachio, the best I had in Italy. Also pasta very tasty as well as our eggplant straciatella starter. Service was great, attentive and very kind staff. Definitely recommended for a great outdoor dinner in the region.

Avoid this place at all costs. The service is bellow average, it took almost an hour to receive our food & when received it was the saddest looking plate ever. They served us the thinnest slice of fish with a spoon of lettuce — no vinaigrette whatsoever. 120€ later we left the restaurant still starving. It says oyster bar at the entrance and it was not even available to order. Pure disappointment, save your money and go elsewhere.

I asked a local friend to take me to the place with the best tiramisu in town, and he brought me to Barcollo — and I must say, it was an excellent choice. The tiramisu was truly delicious and beautifully presented. The atmosphere at night is lovely, with great music and an elegant, classy décor that makes the experience even more enjoyable. The only downside is that they don’t serve any hot drinks ( I don’t drink alcohol). I would have loved to enjoy a tea with my dessert, but they only offer cold beverages and cocktails, which might not be ideal for everyone. Still, the quality of the tiramisu and the overall ambiance make it absolutely worth a visit.

We stopped at the ‘new’ (since June 2023) Barcollo for a pre-dinner cocktail and ended up staying. Great choice… and away from the crowds. Cocktails from a wide and sometimes quirky menu range were expertly made. A custom request Elderflower Martini was superb. The chef (David) used to work at a Michelin hatted restaurant and it shows. He has obviously been given some freedom here and created a number of exceptional dishes best described as fusion Sicilian. From the exquisite Tapas to the mains and the perfectly presented desserts we were delivered taste sensations all the way. The service was prompt, friendly and professional. Barcollo is highly recommended. Dont just come for the cocktails!

My waitress was absolutely lovely and very welcoming. The cocktails are great and so are the vibes. Would highly recommend grabbing a cocktail or three here.

If you want a really decent cocktail then I recommend this place, I had the Mai Tai and the Cosmo and LOVED them both. My wife knows I am a popcorn demon and so when they give you some for the table it guaranteed us coming back again. My wife had an espresso martini and then joined me in a cosmo cause she tried mine and it was so fantastic.

Iona was a fantastic server—attentive, friendly, and made the experience even better. The cocktails are top-notch, with thoughtful garnishes that really elevate them. The vibe is modern yet chill, with stylish décor and multiple seating options to suit any mood. Highly recommend!

We were warmly welcomed at Seven Restaurant and seated on the spectacular rooftop terrace overlooking Palermo’s skyline, a breathtaking setting. Service was professional, staff attentive and caring. We started with the picanha, tender and flavorful, while the octopus, though well presented, was a bit chewy. The shared gnocchi was superb, creamy, rich, and perfectly cooked. For mains, I had the steak and oyster risotto, both solid choices, with the risotto showing great texture and elegance. Wine selection was decent, with good options by the glass. Overall, a pleasant evening, though the bill was high for Palermo. Worth it for the view and ambiance, but expect a splurge. Rating: 4.3 / 5.

Booked the 19:00 slot to get the sunset. Turned out this was a drinks only slot but as I said we booked 6 months ago and didn’t realise they were kind enough to also squeeze us in for dinner which starts at 19:45. The view is breathtaking the food is also very nice and a great spot for a romantic dinner.

The view from this rooftop bar is just amazing! The service is amazing. The drinks and meals were so flavorful. I’d recommend dessert elsewhere. Everything is pricey for Palermo. Think NYC or London prices just in Sicily. But we didn’t regret it one bit. The atmosphere/view is a 8 out of 5. Our group of 8 had wine along with a variety of cocktails. I had the best gnocchi I’ve ever eaten (it had a little kick). Multiple enjoyed the Seabass. Only a dozen or so food options, but everything they made was tops.

Gorgeous view! Definitely on the more upscale side, but you are paying for the ambiance and in my opinion, it is worth it! We made a reservation and got seated right on time. The food and drinks were very good.

The service was really good—staff were kind and even accommodated me when my husband couldn’t make our 7 pm reservation, which I appreciated. The drinks were also great, and the pork appetizer had nice flavor (though a little too fatty for my taste). The views from the upper level are definitely pretty. My main disappointment was that I expected a dinner experience, but it turned out to be aperitivo with a time limit, which wasn’t what I was looking for. Overall, great service and atmosphere, but just not the dining experience I had in mind.

Delicious food, beautiful sunset and view of historical center of Palermo. We reserved a table at 19:30 for a dinner which means you need to order a main dish per person. A bit expensive but you pay for the view and good service. Would recommend to visit on special occasions only!

Tasty cafe e crema granita but: A bit pricey for granita and brioche (4e+1,5e=5,5e for a small granita and brioche) and it also seemed that the owner was thinking up the price on the spot (no pricelist was visible). And he had some weird comments about tourists from “Eastern Europe” (as he called it) when I said I was from Prague.

Nice small place with outside terrace. The owner is a kind person with good tips for the island. Cappuccino, Granit and Brioche. Perfect breakfast.

Had coffee granita with cream while enjoying the sea view. The granita was very tasty! Highly recommended.

Happy place for raw fish and bottarga lovers. Stylish market restaurant, run by the family who owns the seafood market stall next to the restaurant. Excellent quality and rare products. Great choice of wines, especially orange wines. Sometimes food is accompanied by a DJ. Prices are quite high but match the quality. Menu changes according to availability of the seafood. Standards are fried mixed seafood and bruschetta with marinated anchovies. Only outdoor seating. (Price varies according to choice, 15-50 Euro)

we stumbled upon this GLORIOUS restaurant today for lunch and oh my, what a find!! The food was insanely good, there were many ooo’s and ahh’s as they brought food out as it was ready and every dish we had was packed full of delicious, fresh flavours. The atmosphere is super relaxed and cool, and felt very authentic. They were kind enough to say thank you with a few bruschetta’s for coming to have lunch on such a hot day (when most people were inside, likely with the air con on high) and the service overall was fantastic, really lovely people who just seemed to want us to have a lovely time- which we did!! can’t recommend visiting here enough, I wish I could eat here every day!!!

Very disappointed, portions were tiny for the price, order a fried mix 15€ and was mostly sardins and a bunch of small prawns, in general I didn’t like the food. The tuna carpaccio was better, but still small portion for 18€. On top they served in paper plates.

Very serious about wine and food, but not at all stuffily - a brilliant place at the very top of Modica, and entirely worth all the many, many steps to get there. Probably the best goats cheese I've ever eaten.

We had a wonderful evening at Enoteca Rappa, up on the heights of Modica (if you’re walking from the center, make sure to wear good shoes, there are plenty of stairs!). Even though there wasn’t much space on the terrace, the staff kindly set up extra tables across the street so we could enjoy the warm September evening. The large mixed platter was excellent and a good value for money, that we accompanied with a Negroni, only 7€, unbeatable! Afterwards, we enjoyed a great selection of Sicilian and Italian wines that truly delighted us. A perfect spot to spend an authentic evening just outside the center of Modica.

Recommend by our Airbnb host, it's a wonderful place to take a break. The ingredients were fresh and tasty, and the bread was served warm and in small bags. The prices were reasonable, the staff was patient and welcoming, and we were as satisfied as our stomachs and had a great evening. Really recommend 🌟🤩

We had a great time here. A freak thunderstorm on our way absolutely soaked us and they gave us a t shirt for free. Everyone working there was super friendly and we felt like we were having a drink at home. In terms of food, the sharing platter was delicious and we had complimentary bruschetta. The wine, cocktails and beer were all outstanding. We bought a bottle home to drink. Would recommend this place to anyone.

This is a great place to drink, eat and take in the baroque ambience of Modica Alto. Most bars, restaurants, gelatos and cafés can be found in the lower part of the town however Rappa Enoteca is nestled quietly away in the higher part of the city. The very knowledgeable owner Gincarlo and his staff provide excellent insight into the choice of many wines and a tapas style food menu make for the perfect accompaniment. The corvain system allows for you to try a glass of wine without the commitment of having to buy the whole bottle. The wine bar also serves as a place to purchase wine at either at enoteca or take away pricing.

Great selection of artisan and natural wines at moderate prices to drink in or takeaway. Also great place for an aperitivo overlooking beautiful baroque buildings nearby.

I went to this shop to buy wine for my friend's parents. The woman I interacted with (missed the name in my anxiety to converse in Italian) made great recommendations and was very knowledgeable about wines. She was super willing to understand my minimal Italian and make an effort to explain the differences in the wines to me. They have a good selection of local wines from small distributors, and I'd recommend this place for anyone looking to buy a local bottle to take back!

Vicari. This is a restaurant that my husband and I discovered 4 years ago in the town of Noto and we go back every year. This is a great restaurant run by Salvatore Vicari. Each year we have come back the restaurant gets better and the menu more daring but always superbly presented We have never been disappointed with our meal. Traditional dishes have been revisited in his way with a delicate touch and with great care and respect of traditional cuisine. However the savoury part of the menu far out ranks the sweet. This a definite must when in Noto as to skip it would be a great service to yourself. The restaurant has been done with great taste and the service fluid and professional

Went for the 5 course tasting lunch with pairing wines. Most of the food was very good and all the wines were truly amazing. Biggest reason for this not-great rating is the speed everything was rushed through: within 30 minutes we were at our 4th course while the first glass of wine wasn't even finished. Instead of a nice dining experience it became a rushed lunch - it felt like they wanted us out asap.

Great food, a little pricey, but worth it. I wasn't impressed with the wine pairing, for 25€ per person I would advise to take a nice bottle of wine that you will actually enjoy.

Plain and simple- not great food. Service was wonderful, but the food was really not good. We ordered two pastas and barely finished it because it just did not taste right. Have been in Italy for a month and this was our first disappointment- especially given all the options, follow the Italians and go to the place up the street. This place is trying too hard. Also for the first time ever- sent a dish back and they still charged us for it. Told them it was inedible. Go somewhere else.

We were on our way somewhere else, but popped our heads in here and decided to stay... really glad were did. Very stylish but low key decor, helpful and friendly staff and one of the best meals we had in Sicily. Also, the wine list is awesome. The food is local produce presented in a modern and elegant way - looks great and tastes even better! Not the cheapest, but good value - worth it.

I can't express enough how good is the food here. This is one of the best Sicilian restaurants with traditional dishes boosted by modern twist. If you are around this is a must!!! Worth every minute and Euro to be spent there. Staff is very friendly and supporting with explaining the menu. Good place to eat with children.

We stumbled across this spot late at night looking for a place to grab a bite to eat. We had just made it to Sicily from the ferry and this was our very first meal here. It was incredible. The people were so warm and inviting, the focaccia was some of the best we've ever had, the caponata to die for, the pastas delicious and the deconstructed cannolo was divine. Every other meal we ate in Sicily (and we had many delicious meals!) didn't even come close to this spot. Our only regret was not coming back the next night for more. This will be our first stop the next time we're in Syracusa. Amazing food, amazing place amazing people! Highest recommendation!!!

Stopped in for a coffee whilst doing laundry next door and they were so kind I checked their menu and thought I would also have dinner. The spaghetti they even tailored a special sauce for me. The mussels were very fresh and even though we ate outside the staff was very attentive.

Decided to try Scuola Alimentare for a weekday lunch. No wait for a table outside, server spoke perfect English. They had three types of gluten free pasta (3,00€ extra). Coperto was 2,00€/person. - Sautéed vegetables (3,00€) - Spaghetti with cuttlefish ink Sicilian-style (15,00€) - gluten free spaghetti (3,00€) was al dente. The cuttlefish ink sauce was delicious but it’s a very small portion - Risotto ancient ognina (16,00€) - seafood didn’t seem fresh. Flavours were mute

Amazing cocktails and a very nice experience. I would like to start my review by saying that I arrived a few minutes before opening time, I saw the door open and asked if they were already open. They said to me they were not open yet, but in the meantime I could sit down and they would have offered me a glass of water. Already with this small action you demonstrate attention to the customer. Definitely appreciated. Once inside I drank 3 cocktails and I was happy about all of them. The first one was on the menu and it's called "Me calienta", nice attention, good preparation of the glass and ingredients. A cocktail which may have looked complex, but in the mouth was simple, even if a small good taste evolution was present. Then after some talking, to stay on the tequila, one of the bartenders prepared me a cocktail which is still under test and has no name yet. This one was not as good as the previous one yet, but then, again after talking a little bit with the bartenders, one of them offered me a little bit of dried salty caper on the side, which really improved the experience. The last cocktail was a revisitation of the cocktail "Vento" to make it more sour, no chamomile but with a different cordiale and Gardeum floreal punch. Which was the best cocktails of the 3 personally, from preparation to taste. As for food they serve some good taralli on the side and then I ordered the Indie Roll, which were some good rolls with chicken, curry and mango. If anybody has arrived to read till this point, the recap is that it is definitely a recommended place. Take a seat, drink some good cocktails and if you go alone have a chat with the bartenders.

A restaurant in Catania, Sicily with fantastic vibes, great food and great location and remarkable spot right at the city center. Our dinner food and drinks was amazing yummy experienced. They make great cocktails both alcoholic and non alcoholic and they have plenty of drinks to chose from thier artisenal cocktain menu. The place small and has a very nice indoor decoration and has great outdoor seating all year around. The owner and the staff were very passionate and friendly to costumers and service was great. I highly recommend this place. Soon I'm coming to this place again.

The best cocktail bar I have been to in Catania and definitely some of the best cocktails I have ever tasted in my life! The owner makes handmade syrups, infuses his own gins, does not use plastic straws and has one of a kind cocktails that are amazing! My husband and I tried four different cocktails from the menu and they all were incredible.

On vacation I rarely go to the same bar, but this was special one. To my suprise, they have also variety of tasty foods, and they are also delicious. But the drinks is the reason why to go there. The stuff was one of the best! Thanks for experience. PS: best nachos i've ever had

We enjoyed a wonderful glass of orange wine and rosé paired with the lemon anchovy bruschetta. It has a very pleasant environment for talking and enjoying aperitif before dinner!

Amazing selection of natural wines. Came here few times because it’s the best in Ortigia, not all bottle you can try by glass but you can still find something crazy and interesting. Food is very delicious as well ❤️

The enoteca is very charming- old, classic style with a very nice seating area outside overlooking the street. They have a very big choice of wines per glass, as well as an impressive collection of wines by the bottle. The food was really good- we had the aperitivo plate and it was with high quality and tasty ingredients. The only thing that disappointed me a bit was that the owner/waiter (I’m not sure) was probably in a bad mood as we came. We asked for a recommendation about which wine to choose and he didn’t explain anything, he just showed us the very first choice and said it was ok. The wine was indeed very good, but we missed the experience of talking about the wine and its flavor… He was rather grumpy, and that kind of spoiled the beginning of the evening for us. After that we decided for ourselves and the other waitress was friendly and nice. So we had a good time.

It's a great place to taste great wines. They are not cheap but you wouldn't get good for cheap.They know the wines well and the atmosphere is great also. Would recommend.

Great place to have lunch in ortygia in a peaceful garden with no traffic nearby. Staff is really adorable and serve delicious food. Anyway, we really enjoyed this stop while visiting the busy city.

Chiodo is a very nice restaurant, and Siracusa itself is a charming city. Service was quick, which we appreciated. Personally, I found it a bit expensive for what it is. The coteletta was delicious and huge – definitely the highlight. On the other hand, the pasta with squid was a bit bland for my taste, and the peach salad was quite simple, though still tasty. The cannoli looked amazing, but we were too full to try them. In the end, they also add some extras to the bill. Good for a one-time visit, but that’s it.

Great experience. The service is very friendly and professional. We enjoyed every bite. The selection of food and wine stands out from the usual Sicilian style in every way. There’s no pasta alla Norma, no pizza. They create signature dishes, which makes them different and better than the others.

We were intrigued by the location of Chiodo and intended to have just a drink. But the atmosphere is that of a much loved coffee house with devoted staff and charming little touches like marble squares to rest the silverware on and unique glassware. The menu enticed us (local, flavorful, authentic) and we ordered a delicious lunch and enjoyed ourselves so much we went back the following day.

food was delicious. I love the large long table. They have set up in the middle for solo parties or single parties because I made a lot of friends. I love the ambience and especially the music they were playing some Sade.

After several unsuccessful attempts at decent food in Ortigia, we were lucky to discover Chiodo. It became our de facto choice for lunch and dinner for the next two days. The ambience, the people and the food were amazing. We will miss this place. Until next time Chiodo!

Nice coffee shop, different from your classic typical coffee in Italy, which don’t get me wrong, it’s very good by default. Their pastries were absolutely delicious, specially the ones with pistachio. Also their sandwiches were nice. So I recommend for breakfast if you want something different and don’t mind to pay a bit more

I visited Vago Rizzuto Specialty Coffee and tried both an espresso and a doppio. I asked for 100% Arabica in both, but unfortunately only the espresso was, while the doppio turned out to be a blend that I didn’t enjoy as much. On the other hand, I also had a cannoli, a sandwich, and a chocolate croissant that wasn’t available in the display but they kindly offered to prepare it fresh on the spot. All of them were very good and fresh. Overall, it’s a place worth recommending: high-quality products, passionate people, and a genuine love for coffee. Mistakes happen, but the experience was still positive.

The VAGO specialty coffee shop, located to the side of the San Domenico Church, is one of the hidden gems of Palermo, Giuseppe, the owner, continues his family’s tradition of Sicilian gastronomy yet solely focused on the breakfast experience. VAGO is the only place in a sea of tourist traps that one should start their day at. He has all the plant based milk options, even potato milk! This place is a must! Enjoy!!!!

I loved this cozy little specialty coffee shop. It offers a tasty vegan apple & carrot cake that my friend really enjoyed. The oat milk matcha latte was the BEST I’ve had since I left Berlin five years ago! Absolutely perfect 🤩 🍵

We arrived to the place thanks to Google reviews, and we are very disappointed. We asked for a cappuccino, a croissant, one espresso and a sandwich. They gave me the croissant right away, but the cappuccino 15 minutes later. Both, the cappuccino and the coffee were dirty water, I absolutely don't recommend it. Finally, in the photo you can see half of the sandwich, which was very tiny. For me, it is a trap for tourists, and there are plenty of better places in Italy.

Such a brilliant cafe with friendly staff - serves some amazing pastries as well as great coffee (including flat whites!!). Really recommend if in the area - very well priced as well.

The atmosphere and setting are truly beautiful. However, the food portions are quite small more of a gourmet style so it feels overpriced for something that wasn’t particularly exceptional. Please remember to book a table in advance through their website, as it can get very crowded. Note that there’s a fee to secure your reservation, but it will be deducted from your final bill.

Today brought a bit of serendipity: I visited the salt plains near Marsala and discovered Sei Mamma Cara, a restaurant with stunning views of the windmills and shimmering salt pools. The setting is truly *bellissimo*—I can only imagine how magical sunset must be here. For lunch, we enjoyed local specialties: fresh tuna and amberjack, both beautifully prepared to highlight their natural flavors. The seafood was perfectly complemented by a crisp Catarratto wine, a Sicilian classic known for its citrus and mineral notes that pair so well with the region’s fish. Contrary to some reviews, the service was attentive and friendly, even in the 34-degree heat. The menu and wine list were extensive, and everything we tried was excellent. I’d return in a heartbeat for a sunset dinner and drinks—this place is a true gem on the Sicilian coast.

The atmosphere and service is as always good, we have been here many times before and always enjoyed it and bring guests with us every time. Although this time the aperitif menu booked in advance is extremely expensive for what it is, one drink and three small bruschetta for €30! Is way too much.

The sunset rooftop experience was amazing. The waiter was extremely useful and had so much useful information about the salt pans. I was expecting the food not to match the view, however, the food was exquisite. The octopus was out of this world and was the best I have ever tried. I would 100% recommend the roof top expire at sun set to anyone.

It was not busy (out of high season) and there was plenty of staff. Many had looked at our table several times, but it took about 20 minutes after we asked to order before somebody came. Also, it's super overpriced, a coca cola costs more here than in the center of Rome. The location is beautiful though.

Really good place for evening appertif or beer in a pleasant courtyard . They have a great cutting board for 10E. Service was great. Good selection of beers. The place is beautifully decorated, and the prices are very reasonable. The appetizers were tasty — we enjoyed the pasta, bruschetta, and fish. However, we ordered a pizza with spicy salami, and that’s where things went wrong. The taste was really bad — it had a strange, almost chemical flavor. The weirdest part was that when we tried the pizza dough, sauce, cheese, and salami separately, none of them had that unpleasant taste. But as soon as you took a bite with all the ingredients together, the flavor became very off-putting. We’re not picky eaters and rarely leave food uneaten, but in this case, we couldn’t eat more than one slice. We asked the waiter if he could explain what might have caused the strange taste, and he said it could be due to the different types of flour used in the dough. But we don’t think that was the issue, as the dough tasted fine on its own. To be fair, the owner later said we wouldn’t have to pay for the pizza, which we truly appreciated. Still, after we shared our honest opinion, our table was cleared very quickly, and we felt a bit unwelcome — as if we were expected to leave. Overall, we really liked the place and enjoyed the food, aside from this one incident with the pizza and the unpleasant aftertaste. We only wanted to understand what might have gone wrong with the flavor.

Went in yesterday just to try the Tiramisu and it was honestly pretty mediocre. That said, the staff were really friendly and the place itself has a cool vibe, so still worth a visit.

Our favourite restaurant in Catania! Located on a cozy square, great pasta, seafood and excellent service. We came there at night soon after our arrival in Catania and even though they were about to close, Frederico ( on the photo ) offered us delicious food smiling and answering our questions about Sicily. Since that day we came back almost every evening and had a very pleasant time. Thanks for your great work - especially Frederico but also guys in the kitchen and Luca. :)

Beautiful square and great restaurant. We only had a platter and a salad but it was huge. The waiter was amazingly knowledgeable about wines and the selection of offered wines was brilliant.

A nice backyard but and the stuff did nothing to complain about. But the cheese and cold cut platter was a big disappointment. To put salad under the mortadella to make it look more is ridiculous.. The rest of the cheese and salami was only okay but nothing special. Focaccia which they recommend was good but mostly like a pizza with olive oil and herbs. They need to step up

Came here for an aperitivo, it offers a nice location and bit away from the crowds and with a nice view of the sea and some luxury yachts. Drinks were ok, quite disappointing cocktails. Service was very strange, had to ask several people to take the order. And they seem to work in sections but don’t talk to each other. Then later on was overly attentive trying to take away the plates whilst we were eating, or when we asked for bill focused on clearing the table instead of getting the bill. Very odd experience, wouldn’t recommend.

Really bad experience! We arrived more than one hour before closing on a Monday. Ordered 2 drinks from a really kind waiter, after we got our drinks a rude waitress brought out the bill without us asking for it. We were confused but she mase it clear that we have to pay so we did… Around 2:15am they were in a rush to close the bar meanwhile the place was open until 3am: they took the pillows of our seats (YES! FROM UNDER US!), also the decorations of the table. When I finished my drink at 2:24am I wanted to use the bathroom of the place but they didn’t let me! They said they had already cleand it but I can pee in the sea if I want😅😅😅😅😅😅😅 how nice, wonderful hospitality! The one waiter who took our order brought the key for the toilet, but one of the girl from the staff said NO again so he took it back! Really SHAMEFUL! You should not spend your money here!

It’s a tourist trap and hence, a hit-or-miss place, having been there a few times in July/August 2025. The service is consistently bad, to put it mildly. The same food I ordered (salmon, tuna, octopus apero) tasted much better on a Sunday afternoon than on a Monday evening. Olive oil had no flavor. Balsamic splattered to make up for old octopus. Do yourself a favor, go to a place inside Ortigia, not off the parking dock for cruise ships as this place is. It will be more worth your while and, of course, money.

The most expensive drink of our entire visit to Sicily. Nice view of the yachts and sunset but totally not worth the price you pay. Also hidden extra costs of 2.50 per person as service charge. We paid 23 euro for two aperol spritz that barely had any aperol in them

Good local beers, really great music (Tom Petty, the Marshall tucker band) - creates a great vibe while why you are watching the ships roll in and the sun set. The only weird thing was two staff members making out in the open during their shift

I was served exactly what I was in the mood for, with generous pours and warm hospitality. How can you not love Italy? Looking forward to coming back for a longer stay next time!

Wine knowledge and service was fantastic. I asked a number of questions about local wines and the styles I like and the wait person was more than happy to give me recommendations. Every wine was delicious and the cold cuts and cheese platter topped it off! If I lived in that area it would definitely be my local !

We came here for a drink as we noticed it on the street and it looked so good, and didn’t disappoint! They personally selected wine by the glass for us which was delicious and great value. We had a plate of meat and cheese which was so good and the fig jam was incredible. Service was so friendly and we accidentally left a pair of sunglasses here that they kindly looked after for us so we could come and pick up the next day… when we then had even more wine! Best wine bar in Palermo.

Are you looking for a nice wine bar to spend some time with friends? Look no further, Enoteca Picone is the perfect place. We went on a Friday evening with a big group of friends to taste local wines and have some tapas-like food. The place gladly surprised us because of its cozy atmosphere and its great service. They offer a wide variety of wines and drinks, and their food menu is focussed on accompanying wines/drinks. 100% recommended.

Hipster offerings in a traditional setting. What else could you ask for? The staff knows their stuff and are willing to help you find it. Inexpensive for the quality and experience. This and Dal Barone are my two favorite places in all of Palermo.

My partner and I visited a couple of times during our staff in Siracusa and have nothing but praise for the place and the staff. Lovely staff were attentive, knowledgeable and the bar staff were happy to suggest and make cocktails to suit individual tastes and likes. Being a massive negroni fan I was introduced to some variations I hadn't encountered before such as one with another favourite drink of mine, mezcal. Absolutely loved all of it. Brilliant work all, especially the ladies team who we met on our first visit.

Amazing location to stop and get a solid cocktail while overlooking the Temple of Apollo. The vibe and energy was great, and there was just something otherworldly about the experience of sipping on a beverage, while mopeds and cars zip inches by your feet as you stare at the 6th century BC ruins. We did eat here, but if we had chosen to eat elsewhere, and only have drinks here that'd probably be what I'd do for a second visit.

We stayed at Monaci for one night and had a lovely experience overall. At check-in, we were welcomed with a glass of excellent wine and a friendly chat at the bar. The bar has a beautiful and unique interior, and the staff were very attentive and pleasant to talk to. The hotel itself is good, but we had a series of unexpected, minor issues that left us with mixed impressions. The value for money felt a bit high — we have a lot of experience staying at 5-star hotels and expected service that fully matched that level, so we were somewhat disappointed. However, Giorgio, Klaudi, and Irina helped us end our stay with warm and positive emotions — we’re truly grateful for that. The food in the restaurant was very tasty, and we really enjoyed our lunch there.

This place is a stunning vinyard farm with beautiful architecture. The food in the restaurant truly deserves the Michelin star. BUT there are odd issue like the cushions on the pool lounge chairs all slide off (easy fix just add friction tape) and they don’t offer free water at the pool. Little things like they seem to try and charge for EVERYTHING make the value and beauty of this place decrease…

Came here for our last leg of our honeymoon and was only ok - price considered. Our room was above the kitchen even though we booked a suite. Service was OK by the pool but great at dinners. Food was good just very expensive. Beautiful views and great property - would recommend a villa to fully experience but this place is insanely expensive for what you get.

My wife and I stayed here after our daughter’s wedding in Florence. What a way to relax in a beautiful vineyard and garden setting! The service was fantastic with Nuwan and the restaurant experience was unmatched with Stefano. Highly recommend.

In our experience, Relais & Chateaux establishments do not disappoint--and Monaci most certainly did not. Situated in a vineyard on the eastern slope of Etna with sweeping views of the Ionian Sea and offering Michelin-quality food on a terrace, this is the Sicily of your dreams. Rooms are in ancient farm houses and offer every luxury. And breakfast under the olive and mulberry trees! We also really appreciated Georgio and Salvo's good humor in the great bar, and Nuan (sp?) the general manager provided invaluable logistics and linguistic support in helping us arrange vineyard visits. A few things to know: 1. You will want a car. Monaci is relatively isolated and the cost of taxis to/from Catania and to nearby locations would surely outstrip the cost of a rental. 2. Definitely visit Zafferana--an beautiful mountain village with an amazing town square full of families and life, and great food when you just want something simple (and cheap!) 3. The Tagliatelle!

This place was a dream come true! Beautifully designed and the views were incredible. Service was extremely friendly. Fun experiences like wine tasting and cocktail making class. I wish I was back there now!
