Titchwell Manor Hotel is a charming Victorian farmhouse offering stylish designer rooms, complimentary breakfast, and stunning views of the North Sea. The hotel features two dining options: the formal Conservatory Restaurant and the more relaxed Eating Rooms with a barbecue and bar. Chef Eric Snaith oversees the menu, which includes European cuisine with creative dishes like Norfolk quail and Yukon Gold potato.
We have just stayed at Titchwell Manor for a couple of nights and it was a lovely experience. Our room and all areas of the hotel were spotless. The room was well equipped with everything you could need and tea, coffee, bottled water and homemade biscuits. The bathroom had a great selection of toiletries too and the shower was hot and powerful! The staff were friendly and helpful. Aranka was especially lovely. The breakfast was delicious and there was a great selection of items to choose from. The location of the hotel is perfect for exploring locally with walks from the doorstep. We will definitely be back!

Lovely hotel, friendly staff and delicious dinner. The room was very comfortable and lots of amenities to make it a really pleasant stay. So peaceful and even a free electric charging point. Unfortunately it was let down by the breakfast. The cold buffet table wasn’t replenished, the service wasn’t as good as in the evening and our poached eggs were hard, sausages could have been better quality.
Sue M — Google review
We have just come back from spending a night at the Titchwell Manor. I have to say we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of this hotel. The room was brilliant, the food at the restaurant was superb with an extensive wine card and the staff was helpful and welcoming. We will certainly return.
Gilles C — Google review
We had a lovely stay in a room with hot tub. Great food that was fresh and good quality. Service was attentive and we really enjoyed our stay. Only small pieces, the hot tub is just a 'hot tub' so hot water with no jets so bear that in mind. You may need to walk from the garden to the restaurant so flat shoes are helpful!
Vicki H — Google review
Fantastic room and a lovely stay Shame general guests were sidelined by a wedding. Bar seating and ordered two mains and received one. Disappointed the white table cloths have disappeared. Breakfast was disappointing so settled for the buffet. Will definitely return but sad they have lost their attention to detail
Amanda S — Google review
This is the seventh time we have visited. It is a beautiful little hotel with great service and lovely food. However my only criticism is if you stay for more than two nights and choose to dine there, they do not change the menu . We stayed four nights and did not want the same food every night. Fair enough if they do not want to change the menu but surely if it alternated daily for three or four nights more clients would be inclined to fine there. Having said this we will be returning. But please change the menu
Julie M — Google review
Didn't stay, just stopped for some breakfast before going on a walk. Staff were incredibly nice and friendly and breakfast was lovely Even brought our dog a bowl of sausages!

Nice old building, dropped in for a cuppa, dog friendly area was pleasant, we felt the seating area was slightly cluttered with very large furniture, some rearranging needed to accommodate smaller groups. Service was good.

Restaurant
The Ingham Swan is a 14th-century inn located in Norfolk, offering rustic-chic rooms and a fine-dining restaurant that serves gourmet food inspired by the county. The tasting menus feature seasonal delights such as sautéed wild mushrooms and shellfish bisque, presented with aesthetic flair. The converted coaching inn's rooms exude an urban loft feel, with bold yellow cushions and bare brick walls. This historic inn focuses on crafting delicate but explosive flavor combinations using local and seasonal produce.
Had the £100 tasting menu and it's worth every penny. Definitely won't be hungry after. Best use of asparagus I've ever tasted. Wine list excellent, cocktails masterfully crafted. Closer to Michelin than rosette level in my opinion. The property and grounds are immaculate. Everything is well thought out and serves specific purpose right down to the water jugs. Service is informative and of very high standards. Will definitely visit again when possible. Can't speak highly enough of everything they do here. Was an absolute pleasure.
Nick — Google review
Standout experience of a recent trip to Norfolk. We'd been sleeping in a van and so were dressed far from fancy. But made to feel so very welcome. The service from entering to leaving was sublime. Attentive but not overly over your shoulder. The staff were all incredibly knowledgeable of the food and the menu itself. So much choice, from really affordable set menus to taster experiences to a comprehensive a la carte menu. Everything tasted incredible and was beautifully presented but not overly fussy. It doesn't matter what we had, as im sure whatever you order is going to be sensational, but I'll share some pictures.
Matt K — Google review
Very good, but I left thinking some things could be better. Service great, we ordered the 2 course £32 Sunday lunch. Bread was served but the rolls were tiny in comparison to the amount of butter and dip. The starter came up as we took a first bite of the bread, I think either delay the bread or delay the starter. The starter was excellent. The mains are where things could be better, almost all mains carry a supplement, why ? The beef was good but was it worth the £6 supplement, I don’t think it was. Needed more gravy. Then a cauliflower cheese, watery, lacking flavour and a big unimaginative bowl of more boiled cauliflower? Broccoli and kale, i was expecting more from the vegetables. Very good overall but could be excellent.
Chubby B — Google review
Brilliant place. Definitely recommend. Lovely rooms and food. Best breakfast ever. Great staff. The only slight negative was it's location. Too far out to walk anywhere. But saying that the area is beautiful.
Martin T — Google review
I booked a table at this restaurant as it was recommended to me by family and friends for a visit. For some reason the date I was trying to select Didn't work and I accidentally booked for that very evening by mistake . I called them straight away as soon as I made the booking informing them that I didn't mean to book it for that day And they're very kindly changed it to the correct day. However later that evening and to my shock £50 had been taken from my bank account. I called back straight away and was told it was the policy because I hadn't turned up from my meal even though I'd rearranged it. I asked them to put the Back into my bank and they refused. I ended up having to get the £50 back from my bank. Purely and only because of that reason I will never visit this restaurant ever! I've also told the people who recommended me to visit here about what happened and they will never visit here again. Absolutely disgusting! Anybody thinking of booking this restaurant DO NOT input your bank info!! They will steal your money! AVOID !!
Phil G — Google review
Possibly one of the worst levels of service and dining experience ever. Factoring in that this is a Triple Rosette destination venue, in the Michelin guide it becomes THE worst. We visited the Ingham Swan, which is an hours drive for all guests, as a table of six for a birthday meal. To start no one showed us to our table from the waiting area. Overall, the food was average at best, largely over salted and one guests steak main was completely inedible, which was compounded by a lack of a check back from staff and the guest with the issue was left sitting with their plate untouched while the rest of us ate. Plates from the main course were left uncleared for well over twenty minutes including the above. When I went to the bar I found six staff including the duty manager standing around chatting instead of attending to guests. Further after clearing our table, an adjacent table who'd finished their mains prior sat for another two minutes without their plates cleared. The overall lack of awareness from staff is staggering. Having made clear how poor the evening and service was there was a token gesture of complimentary desert which was negated by a birthday cake they had held for the table. For any venue the service fell well below a sub standard level. For a destination which promotes itself as a superb dinning experience they were abysmal. In contrast, the following evening in London at a absolutely manically busy Dishoom restaurant, with a people queuing for 100m to get in, had some of the best ever encountered
Adam V — Google review
Wedding anniversary lunch here. The service is first class but despite it's reputation we found the food only ordinary, nothing stood out, just OK. Nice but wouldn't rate it as extraordinary.
Robert S — Google review
Abysmal service at a so-called destination restaurant - Possibly the worst dining experience I've ever had and, for a Triple Rosette Michelin-listed venue, unquestionably the worst. An hour's drive for a birthday meal as a table of six delivered average over-salted food, one inedible steak with no check back, plates left for over twenty minutes, and staff- including the duty manager-chatting at the bar with staff instead of them serving. The only token gesture was a free dessert despite them already holding a birthday cake. For a venue that markets itself as a destination dining experience, it was abysmal.

This stylish establishment occupies a former glassblowing factory, showcasing its industrial heritage through tasteful design elements like iron and copper accents alongside warm oak and slate finishes.
★★★★★ Wonderful Stay at The Harper, Langham The Harper in Langham is a fantastic hotel that has a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. The rooms are stylish, spacious, and well-equipped with comfortable beds and high-end amenities. The breakfast was locally sourced food and delicious, and the dinner menu is thoughtfully curated with locally sourced ingredients as well with a lot of attention to detail. The staff are friendly and attentive, making the stay even more enjoyable. With a cozy spa, beautiful surroundings, and easy access to Norfolk’s coast, The Harper is a perfect getaway. Highly recommend!

Lovely hotel, very clean and well looked after. Staff very helpful and friendly. We didn't eat in the restaurant in the evening but the breakfast (which was included) was really good. The exclusive use of the pool was fantastic, we weren't sure the 30 minute slot would feel enough... But it was! We were also able to book extra slots throughout our stay. A really nice hotel which has a lovely relaxed feel and which made it great for us as a family with a child. We will definitely be making a return visit.

We have had the most wonderful evening at The Harper. From the moment we arrived the staff were so friendly and welcoming. Everywhere Is beautifully clean. The food was amazing. Having an exclusive slot for private swim and hot tub use was wonderful. We would recommend to anyone looking for a night to get away, relax and enjoy everything this beautiful hotel offers.

A hidden gem in Norfolk My partner and I stayed at the Harper Hotel for one night, and we both agreed it was an experience we won’t soon forget. From the moment we walked into the beautifully designed lobby, we knew we were in for a treat. The ambiance was stylish and modern, yet warm and inviting, exactly the kind of place that makes you want to relax and unwind. The staff greeted us with genuine smiles and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The check-in process was seamless, we stayed in one of the biggest rooms that was meticulously clean, tastefully decorated, and filled with thoughtful details. From the plush bedding to the luxurious bathroom amenities, it was clear that a lot of care had gone into making each guest’s stay as comfortable as possible. We used the on site spa and booked a deep tissue massage which was amazing, we also took advantage of the on-site restaurant, where we enjoyed an incredible dinner. The food was fresh, flavourful, and clearly prepared with care and the service was spot on. After dinner, we enjoyed drinks at the hotel bar, which had a great selection of drinks and a cozy, intimate atmosphere. Overall, the Harper Hotel provided exactly the escape we needed, even if just for one night. Whether you’re looking for a romantic getaway or simply a restful night in a beautiful setting, I can’t recommend it enough. We’re already looking forward to our next stay – hopefully for a bit longer next time!

Good concept and great location, execution needs work. - Overpriced for what you get. - VERY limited food options both at the bar and the Menu at Stanley the "fine" dinner restaurant, were not good enough. The breakfast was okay but nothing special. - The service at lunch/dinner/breakfast was slow. Waiting for breakfast +30 minutes to be served. - The staff at the bar wasn’t helpful. - The spa can only be enjoyed once in a session of half an hour. Overall, not worth the money, I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone and definitely wouldn’t go back.

Wow, what a stay! Thank you so much to everyone at the Harper special mention to GM Pete who couldn’t have done more for us. Amazing food, stunning location and fabulous massage in the spa. We’ll be back! Thanks again Pete and Team.

I was very happy indeed with our stay at The Harper. I brought 11 guests for a tour of Norfolk, and this was our base for the week. The rooms are so comfortable, and large and very clean. The beds are also very good. The staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. Breakfast is extremely good - especially the smoked salmon! Thank you - we will definitely try to come back!
Oliver G — Google review
Nice and relaxing trip away as a family for the first time since our daughter was born. Really liked how spacious our room was, it also had a nice view onto the terrace. Food at the hotel was good, wouldn't say it was great. It was accommodating having the main restaurant on the same level as our room. Staff were friendly, my biggest downfall was having to book a time slot for the spa, I felt rushed and never fully relaxed knowing I was on a timer. A short drive from a nice beach and a few other places to visit. Overall 4/5 is a far review.

The Rose & Crown is a stylish 14th-century village inn offering luxurious accommodation with a gastropub menu and rustic bar. The pub features a delightful walled garden, perfect for enjoying great food outdoors. It's known for its daily specials, Sunday roasts, ploughmans platter, nacho platters, fish and chips, chicken or vegetable tikka masala, and traditional puddings. Additionally, the pub offers an all-day cream tea.
We came for the English Pub experience and were not disappointed. This was a fabulous wee spot. We had a great dinner even though they were extremely busy but the service was quick and friendly and the meals very tasty. The rooms were delightfully renovated to a modern standard in an old setting. I loved the slope in the floor. All in all a great English pub welcome and stay. Highly recommend you get your little taste of England here too.

Great Stay and Amazing Breakfast! Eve at reception was such a star - friendly, welcoming, and really helpful from the moment we arrived. Our room was on the smaller side, but honestly, it was so comfortable and spotlessly clean that we didn’t mind one bit. The food was very good, and breakfast was the highlight. The kipper was hands-down the best I’ve ever had, and the prunes were just as impressive (never thought I’d say that about prunes, but here we are!). Overall, a lovely stay with great service and food - we’d happily come back.

Just wow. What a gorgeous pub! Each member of staff was very friendly and we felt like regulars on our first visit. Benny looked after us and as always had us in stitches! He really made the experience perfect. Food 10/10 Service 10/10 Will we return? Hell yes!!

Fantastic village pub. Lovely staff and locals and banging Sunday roast. Can recommend the sharing roast chicken dinner which was so fresh, tasty and plentiful. For £60 for two sharing platters it fed 4 very hungry adults and 2 very greedy dogs. Exceptional value and best Sunday roast bar none.

Nestled in the charming town of Wells-next-the-Sea, The Globe Inn is a modern pub that beautifully marries local flavors with a cozy atmosphere. This former coach house, renovated in 2018, features an inviting outdoor dining area perfect for romantic evenings under the stars. Guests can indulge in a menu filled with classic British dishes and seasonal specialties crafted from fresh local ingredients. From pan-fried scallops to slow-cooked pork belly, there's something to tantalize every palate.
The Globe Inn is in the perfect location. We had a small king room which was very spacious, the bathroom was lovely and clean, we had everything we needed. The breakfast was really good and the service was great. The staff were all really friendly and made our stay wonderful. We will 100% stay at the Globe again and will recommend it. Wells next the sea is a lovely seaside town, a dog friendly place and the globe is also dog friendly which is for us is a must

Absolutely love The Globe. Always sure of a friendly welcome for us and our dogs. Haven’t been back for a year or so but had a wonderful time. The rooms are still lovely if a little warm (could do with being able to turn off the towel rail). But there was a little attention to detail missing in the rooms and in the pub. I’m assuming a very busy summer season with wear and tear has impacted on this. Thank you to Nikki who always goes above and beyond to look after us and treats us like old friends. Surprised she’s not running this place yet!

Unfortunately we had a really awful experience here. We were staying locally and struggled to get an earlier booking for food, so the first table we could get was 8.15. We were early, so had a drink at the bar while we waited. We then had to seat ourselves as no one returned to show us to the table. We weren't given menus, water, cutlery or napkins. So we repeatedly had to approach the bar and request extra items. We finally managed to order and we didn't get mains until after 9.15 (an hour after arrival). The starters were fine, then we were asked about dessert before we got the mains. The mains were dreadful. The fish batter was overcooked, the chips were old and reheated. The peas were just a watery mess. The curry sauce was just congealed oil. The chicken schnitzel was also a congealed paste on top of just fried matter. Similar case with the chips. The "coleslaw" seemed to be left over lettuce in a watery pile. At this point we had to complain and request the food to be taken away. The manager was helpful and offered more food to be given (as well as not charging us) but by this point, it was nearly 10pm. We were tired, hungry and a bit miserable. The Chestnut group has taken over many restaurants / hotels recently and the food has taken a massive hit. The quality has dropped in all locations and the price keeps doubling. It is simply not worth it. Such a shame as you used to be able to trust this brand, but now, I will not be returning to anything Chestnut owned. Loyal customers deserve better.

The food was absolutely phenomenal. We came during Wells carnival so it was very busy, but we were seated quickly and the staff were very attentive and friendly. Amazing atmosphere in the pub, we were served by Emilie and she really helped make the night unforgettable. I can't recommend this place more!
Gaia D — Google review
We were celebrating my parents 60th Wedding anniversary while staying in Wells and decided to have a meal at the Globe. The choice & quality of food was outstanding as well as the service received. It would have been nice if there was a complementary drink/dessert offered in recognition for this special celebration like other establishments do.

Myself and husband had a fantastic stay at the globe. It was a very busy bank holiday but staff were very efficient and organised. We booked for dinner too which was delicious, ordered a lovely bottle of wine and enjoyed the seafood platter! Room was at the front above bar but went very quiet and peaceful at night. Room was very comfy and clean. We would 100% recommend and will be returning again 😀

I've stayed at both there townhouses down the road and the rooms directly at the Inn. Both are extremely lovely and you can't go wrong with either. Very luxurious which is surprising considering the price isn't breaking the bank. Food is great too. Bar is always crowded, the place is popular.

We stayed for a few days with our elderly parents/in-laws. Excellent location in rear courtyard of lovely popular pub at the top of the main street. Short walk past the shops (almost all local, not chains) to the harbour. Wells is lovely. Comfortable, clean and well equipped rooms, good firm bed. Only one small window but large fan kept in cool when needed. Staff service and breakfast were faultless. Good food/menu for the evening that we ate in the pub. Definitely recommended

A quintessential little Inn even for food and drinks, and dog friendly! The food was delicious we had a light lunch menu with a drink. Service was incredible, range of food and drinks was fantastic - my Husband really enjoyed the mussels and my posh fish finger sandwich with fries was delicious. Great wine and drinks menu, with local options. There’s a cosy back room, a snug which is also perfect for quieter space with dogs, and seats near the fire in the entrance. The outdoor space has cosy heaters and a bar outside for ease of drinks. It’s almost ‘The Holiday’ pub vibes by the coast.

We travelled over an hour to specifically dine here and was not disappointed. First & foremost really friendly, helpful staff who definitely made the whole experience exceptional. We had the pie, fish & chips & burger plus desserts & it was all delicious. The atmosphere is great with lots of choice of rooms inside and different outdoor spaces. Dog friendly and plenty of parking in a beautiful area of North Norfolk. Highly recommend.

My partner and I stayed here last month with my rescue dog. We had such a lovely stay! Before arrival, Kate called me to confirm the booking and to ask if we had any special requirements. I explained that I had recently adopted a dog from Spain that is extremely anxious, and asked if it would be possible to be seated in a quiet area in the restaurant. Kate not only ensured this, but also notified every single member of staff, who were all so kind and considerate towards my dog. They all went out of their way to accommodate her, and make her stay as stress-free as possible, for which I am exceedingly grateful! They looked after us humans extremely well too! The room was fantastic! We stayed in the Best Room, which was spacious, comfortable and relaxing. The food in the restaurant both for breakfast and dinner was delicious and the service was outstanding. Everybody was very friendly and helpful, and nothing was too much trouble. We highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again.

Just amazing! We initially only came here for a quick bite to eat and to find somewhere to camp. However, the staff and the place was so lovely, that we decided to stay. They are the most dog friendly place we have been to as well! The dogs got sausages (in dog bowls!) for dinner and for breakfast. They got a dog basket in the room + poo bags and treats! They were absolutely spoilt. The team that runs this place were the loveliest people. We will absolutely come back!

We love the Lifeboat and have just returned from another lovely stay. Special mention in particular to Deborah who waited almost alone at breakfast and always with a smile and to Errol and Nathan who speedily rectified a kitchen error and gave us a free dessert each for the error which was massively appreciated. Although young in years Errol and Nathan were very engaging and friendly. It seemed that there was a shortage of staff at times but this didn’t detract from our bar and restaurant experience. The room we stayed in was well appointed and with a lovely view out to the sea. A great location for a relaxing break.

We were quite disappointed with our visit to The Lifeboat Inn. The food felt very overpriced for the quality. I ordered the beef burger which, while nicely presented, tasted very processed rather than freshly made. My husband’s steak was just about acceptable but nothing special. What let the experience down further was the service. Nobody checked to see if our meals were satisfactory, which is something we’d expect in most restaurants. After finishing, we sat for another 30 minutes with our plates uncleared. Overall, the service was poor. Sadly, we won’t be dining here again during our stay, which is a real shame.

We have just had a superb evening with family, and the two dogs! We all enjoyed our food, which was very tasty and cooked superbly! Our table was looked after by Errol for the whole of our stay and he was very polite and helpful. Thank you for making our evening special 😊

Cromer Country Club is a charming resort hotel offering bright and airy suites with kitchens, perfect for a delightful break in Cromer. The characterful Knights Hill Hotel and Spa provides mesmerizing views of the Norfolk countryside and the sea. Guests can enjoy a cozy evening at the atmospheric Farmers Arms pub with its rugged walls and wooden ceiling beams. The self-catering apartments at Cromer Country Club are equipped with modern furniture, providing everything needed for a holiday.
We stayed here as a family of 4 for 1 night. We were pleasantly surprised at how much space there was in the family rooms. Although no second bedroom the sofa bed is of good quality, a very good size and the bedding & linen are good quality. It's a quiet location within walking distance to Cromer beach front. The accommodation was immaculately clean and extremely well equipped. We saw deer early morning outside our room door which was lovely. Staff at check in and out were very pleasant and the pool/ restaurant looked like somewhere we would also try given more time. We will definitely be back for a very comfortable stay and to explore more!

Lovely little hotel set up. I really liked the individual little houses. It made it more private & peaceful for our little break. It was nice to have an on-sight restaurant too, in case you want a night off cooking yourself!

Had a lovely 2 nights here. 3 of us in a one bedroom apartment. Was very spacious with everything you could want. Lovely outdoor patio with games on the lawn. We are in the rest both nights and the food was lovely. 25 minute walk to Cromer Beach. We visited overstand beach just down the road, went to wells next the sea and horsey beach to see some seals. Would definitely stay here again.

Just back from a great 4 day stay here. Booked direct and got a better deal than booking platforms. All areas spotlessly clean. Apartments exceeded expectations. All staff very helpful and friendly. Would most definitely stay again. Thank- you!

Just back from a 3 night stay. There were four of us in the party - should have been 5- so we had a two bed villa. This was great. It had 2 bathrooms and a huge patio. The kitchen had more than enough pots and pans etc to keep us in a full English and plenty of teas and coffees. We ate every night in the Amber bar. Largely because we had such a positive experience on the first night. The menu isn’t massive but there’s always some nice specials. And the food is fresh. The staff were all very accommodating. I paid extra for early check in and would suggest this as the bar doesn’t open until five. Some villas are accessible via steps so it might be worth mentioning this if you are going with some in less mobile

Really liked staying here. We were in an end apartment which was super quiet. Apartment was clean. Kitchen is very well stocked with utensils. The bed was very comfortable. Large bathroom. Soap dispensers to minimise plastic waste 💚 Lovely views from top car park. Restaurant on site (although we didn't eat there) 3 minute drive to the pier/town. The only downside for us was not having a smart TV to cast our phones - our daughter woke up at 4.30 the first night and we needed a distraction 😂

We enjoyed ourselves when we were there and hopefully visit again in the future. You will need a car to get around to Cromer town,it takes 30 minutes to walk down.

The Sea Marge Luxury Seaside Hotel is an elegant Edwardian mansion located on the stunning North Norfolk coast. The hotel offers stylish rooms, a restaurant, and a bar, all set within five acres of terraced gardens with direct beach access. The 25 non-smoking en-suite bedrooms are equipped with modern amenities and offer picturesque views of the surrounding area. The hotel's Clement Scott bar features vaulted timber roofs and mullioned bay windows, adding to its historical charm.
We were staying nearby and called in for coffee and cake. The cream tea was the best I have ever had. The scone was delicious and it was nice to have coffee served in a pot. The staff were welcoming, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. I will definitely be visiting again.

Family of 4 stay in 1 of the lodges. The hot tub didn’t work for the majority of our 5 day stay. Disappointing but as a reasonable person, I’m willing to accept is one of those things. However, as a key component of our accommodation, I also reasonably expected a fair rebate to the cost paid. This was all accepted and acknowledged by the hotel manager but she said it would need to be dealt with by the ‘Operations Team’ and I would receive a call from them. This call never occurred so after a few days I emailed and received a bland response that my feedback was important and I would receive a response within 14 days. Seemed a long time but I patiently waited but got no reply. Several emails and phone calls later and 5 weeks since our stay, complete radio silence. My communications have been reasonable and polite throughout but I have been treated with complete contempt (the hotel manager has been professional and understanding and clearly embarrassed by the hierarchy above). If I have paid for something material which isn’t provided without any compensation, so far as I’m concerned that is theft. Therefore my warning to anyone staying at the Sea Marge is hope you don’t have any issues that require senior management involvement because you can expect the same poor treatment and to be completely ignored. Also, I would suggest if told that the so called Operations Team will be in touch in due course, insist on the matter being resolved there and then as you will receive the same radio silence. Fair to say we would never stay again or at any other Mackenzie Hotel!

This hotel has turned into a dog hotel, shabby, unloved in need of a good clean. Room 19 has ridiculously small shower cubicle, even at 5ft 8 and weighing 10 stone you hit the shower control when washing, either turning completely off or scolding hot. Any taller and you would not fit under the fixed shower head, and unlucky if you don’t want to wash your hair, not even a shower cap provided. We wrote “clean me” “filthy” and “dirty” on the tiny bathroom floor where only the centre had been cleaned for a long period of time, and also “clean me” on the bed headboard, in full view, after second night was still there! Clean bedsheets dumped outside bedroom doors before checkout time, where shoes, boots, dog paws and other parts of their anatomy have been on the carpet! Not one item moved on the dresser or drawer tops for cleaning, when using the kettle or tilting the mirror to brush your hair there was so much dust and grime it made you feel unclean. Bedroom furniture broken. Menu uninviting and appears not to have been updated from the winter menu, we were not the only ones to take advantage of the superior menu along the road at the pub. This used to be a 4 Star establishment, with downstairs bedrooms reserved for those who wanted to bring their four legged friends, now if you have allergies/asthma you are shoved into a room seemingly forgotten in time. Much money has been invested in the self contained cabins on the lawn to the detriment of the main building, what was once a special place to stay is now nothing more than an average, worn and tired, over priced hotel. Taking money on offer now, with absolutely no respect to long standing, returning clients who have supported and indeed recommended for more than 10 years. Not anymore.

Was in the area so popped into the bar for lunch. Fantastic old building, felt like sitting in an old manor house. Staff were so friendly and nice, great selection of beers and food on offer. Opted for a Fresh prawn and smoked salmon baguette with fries and a gorgeous pizza. Both tasted fantastic and very filling. The views from the garden and bar are great, direct out to sea over the cliff tops, huge garden with plenty of tables and chairs to soak in the views. Highly recommend and will definately be going back.

It was a very special birthday and they had decorated the table lovely. The food was amazing and all the staff were very friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The chief had made me a happy birthday plate with chocolate brownie as a surprise. Every time we visit we are never disappointed. Thank you.

Aesthetically and historically, the hotel was both beautifully & empathetically decorated and furnished, in keeping with the mansions Edwardian construction. We loved the various places to sit comfortably - various little areas, plus gallery and lounge. The atmosphere of the hotel was extremely pleasant and the bar area had a great feel. The restaurant rooms were light and airy. The food was excellent with a varied menu and staff couldn't have been more helpful and kind regarding my extremely complicated current dietary requirements, both in informing me of ingredients and adapting dishes on the menu for me; Melanie, Jade and Gemma were particularly amazing. The outside grounds were wonderful. Although there was no children's play area, there were small children enjoying all the space to run around, and there were lots of outside games, for both children and adults alike. There was very comfortable seating overlooking the gardens and sea, for both relaxing and eating, plus a garden area at the front with tables. The hotel and staff (again, those mentioned above, especially, plus Lana and Bailey were clearly favourites with younger guests) and children's menus, and highchairs were available (although a couple more of these might have been good in the main hotel bar and restaurants) in busy periods. We also very much enjoyed the complementary of the swimming pool at The Links Hotel, nearby, just on the other side of Cromer. Overstrand itself is a quiet village (great coffee shop above the beach) with a couple of shops and a pub, yet only a short distance from Cromer and a half-hourly bus service. We had a wonderful stay and hope to return! Thank you, Sea Marge!
Debby J — Google review
We had been to the Sea Marge before and had drinks outside so as it was a rainy Tuesday we decided to have drinks and then food in the bar overlooking the sea. We ordered a ploughman's sharing platter and fries. Have to say the service overall was appalling. We had to ask the waiter/bar man to remove the remnants of the last people using the table. He did this but never came back to wipe the table which was clearly dirty, despite asking. We then ordered a £30 bottle of wine. No effort was made to open the wine for us, check it was OK etc. Then we received our platter which was "Ok" but not exceptional and a bit meagre on the amount. We did enjoy the variety of games on each table which we enjoyed as a family. We were intending to order cheese and port and Irish coffees but we did not see another member of staff for absolutely ages, no one came and checked on us, asked if we were happy or wanted anything else. When we did get a member of staff come over after waiting an hour to ask if we wanted desserts and muttered they had been "down the other end" and quite frankly did not seem that bothered. When we left a member of staff decided to ask if the dog wanted a treat! We felt they were taking the piss to be honest! There were hardly any customers in the hotel or bar. When we got home we called the hotel and apparently spoke to the manager (who did not give his name) and was as much use as a chocolate fireguard. Not that it's somewhere we frequent often, but at least they clean the tables in Macdonald's! What a shame, we are regularly in Overstrand and we're planning on returning for Fathers Day but now won't bother. Why does the UK hospitality businesses complain about National Insurance going up, National Minimum Wages increases and lack of businesses if this is how they treat their customers. Perhaps the best outcome for this hotel is collapsing into the North Sea!!! It could be a great venue, but sadly not with the current management or ownership.

We didnt stay here so i cant comment on the rooms. We popped in to grab a coffee and tea before our walk along thr beach, When walking inside a lady with brown hair about 5ft 5 with glasses very rudley asked me what i was doing there, i informed her id like to purchase a coffee, she then directed me to. The bar area where she stood right next to me like i was going to rob the place. Now i understand certain places have certain dress codes but as i was dressed very smart and appropriately (not like a road man or in a tracksuit) i wouldnt have expected to recieve this kind of treatment. My partner asked to use the toilet to wich she escorted him and waited outside of them for him to come out. She was very very judgemental and assumed that were were there to cause trouble or something. What is it these days with establishments treating you like your rubbish off the street, Pier hotel and bar you can do better, treat people as you would like to be treated. Just remember as fast as you got on that pedalstool that now makes you feel superior to everyone you can be knocked off just as fast,

Lovely Stay in a Great Location We recently stayed at Briarfields Hotel in Titchwell and were very impressed overall. The location is fantastic — perfectly placed for exploring the local area and enjoying the beautiful Norfolk coastline. Our room was spacious, well furnished, and spotlessly clean, making it a very comfortable base. For the quality and space provided, we felt it was excellent value for money. The food was good and nicely presented, though not quite outstanding — more solid than spectacular. That said, we certainly enjoyed our meals here. The hotel is run by a hardworking young team, and it’s clear they put a lot of effort into looking after guests. A few of the staff could perhaps be a little more cheerful — I wasn’t sure if it was tiredness or that they weren’t enjoying their work — but overall, service was friendly and helpful. In short, a great place to stay in a prime location, offering good value, comfortable rooms, and a generally warm welcome.

Lovely place for a drink and a pub lunch, absolutely massive area for children to play, best I've seen. Only marking down a star as the vegetarian options are very limited and they don't offer any vegetarian sandwiches. But the onion baji burger was delicious.

Had a fantastic meal here with the family at the end of a long day around the North Norfolk coast. Portion size very generous plus the kids menu was great to see different options other than just a burger. Staff very friendly, large car park with a great outdoor area for the kids.

We visited for a special birthday. Paul was friendly and helpful with a cake that I had taken along for the birthday celebrations. We had afternoon tea, the quality of the food is very good and presented well. Sausage roll and cheese straws in the savoury selection. The gluten-free stack had 2 scones. The traditional had one scone. The jam and cream pots needed more in them. We had to ask for additional jam and cream. We also asked for more scones as we felt one wasn't enough. We were charged for these until I asked why we had been charged. Then, the additional cost was removed. The other cakes were delicious in the stack. In my opinion, you need 2 scones in traditional afternoon tea. Some of the waitresses hardly spoke and definitely didn't smile.

Great location. Convenient room with adjacent parking. Most staff friendly but don’t recommend eating more than breakfast. Dinner menu selection is poor and delivery is worse. Could not eat my main course tonight even with a generous helping of sauce to mask the taste. Pulled pork over spiced and degenerated into an unappetising mess accompanied by undercooked chips. Burger bread boring and uninviting. Lettuce shredded so fine it got lost in the mayonnaise and was a further mushed mess. Chocolate tart so firm one needed more than the single spoon offered To break into it. Chasing ice cream around the oversized plate as it melted. Suspect a falsely exotically described menu in reality masks cheap ingredients poorly delivered. Feel the food on offer is a poor comparison with the room offering and really lets the experience of staying here down as one seeks a decent evening meal after a day in the fresh air.

I stayed here recently as part of a birding holiday group. Overall I found the hotel to be nice with friendly staff but in all honestly they seem a bit understaffed. The service for our meals was very inconsistent. This often left the group feeling rushed as we had to meet our trip guide by a specific time. Additionally, the vegan options were very limited and what was offered to me in terms of choice wasn't great. It should be said that most of the meat eaters in my group enjoyed the food they ordered.

A massive shout out to Oliver, Isla and the other blonde long hair girl whose name i forget. she saved me as my blood sugars were low and I needed a urgent orange juice. she understood the urgency and did it immediately food was absolutely incredible! There are no words to describe it properly. One of the best meals I have ever had Had a beautiful small double room overlooking the garden. Room was very comfortable including the bed and pillow (again the best I have stayed in) Oliver was very friendly on arrival, and showed me to my room. Unfortunately I suffered a migraine in the early hours and felt quite unwell so stayed until check out time and didn't have the breakfast Unfortunately but if it's anything to go by dinner service I am sure it's incredible! We visited Beechwood at end end of August and was welcomed by Isla who was extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The food here was absolutely 1st class, could not have had any better, probably the best we have had anywhere in a long time. Unfortunately though what really spoilt our stay was the bed. It was much too soft, I felt like we were touching the base when we got in, which meant my husband made up a bed on the floor and had a much better nights sleep than I did. Other guests we spoke to also said the same thing. Such a shame as we would love to visit again for the food, but would not because of the sleeping arrangements.

Spacious room, excellent food (although we found the sauces a little bland for our taste) and absolutely exemplary service from everyone. The hotel says that "Hugh and Emma ....pride ourselves on giving our guests a relaxing, unforgettable experience". Unfortunately the relaxing experience was spoilt by; an owner allowing their dog to run free in the garden and around the hotel when she was in the restaurant, dogs barking in the room when left and a couple being allowed to eat their full dinner in the garden (where their dog proceeded to bark throughout the meal disturbing everyone in and overlooking the garden). You see many places saying "well behaved dogs are welcome", but unfortunately very few have the strength to stand up to the poorly behaved dogs and the published rules. Thankfully, dogs were not allowed in the restaurant. So, mostly relaxing, but, I'm afraid the stay will be remembered for the wrong reasons.

We have just had our wedding at Cley Windmill and honestly from the very first contact, everything has been absolutely amazing! The staff are friendly, flexible and the service was faultless. The food was so good, everyone commented on how great it was and we left very full! The rooms and location are simply stunning. We had the most incredible day and want to share how awesome this place is. 5 stars is not enough to describe how good our experience was. We will definitely be back and thank you again for making our stay just perfect!

Cley windmill was the stunning venue we chose for our wedding on 17th September 2025. We always wanted a small intimate wedding and found this venue which was perfect. We had a gathering the day before for everyone to get acquainted and the team at windmill delivered a perfect get together with stunning BBQ style buffet - the ribs were to die for!.. The day itself was flawless, the staff attentive but not overbearing, creating a relaxed celebration of our day. Nothing was to much trouble throughout the 2 days. All our guests fell in love with the venue as we had. With the service taking place in the main tower and drinks in the cosy lounge area. For the main reception we opted for the marque which is in the garden which was dressed with our chosen colours and again was stunning and just as we had imagined. We had chosen a menu with Wendy the highly skilled resident chef, and she really delivered stunning food, amazing flavours and generous portions. we had a couple of people with dietary requirements and this was no problem for Wendy with suitable replacement dishes being provided, There were clean plates all round, together with the loosening of a few waistbands! a really big thank you for Wendy and her team together with the waiting staff who worked so hard. In summery if anyone is looking for a quant, charming, characterful venue for a small intimate wedding, you really cant go wrong with Cley Windmill. The venue stunning, the delivery flawless. We wouldn't have changed anything, we really did have the perfect wedding day! A big thank you to the whole team at Cley Windmill. Andy & Debbie. x

So it's a very reluctant review but one I think necessary after my experience recently. I was gifted a stay at cley windmill by my friend after the passing of my father. We booked the wheel room for me and my husband to celebrate our anniversary. Unfortunately my mum took ill the day before our booking and I called to ask if I could bring my son as I had no babysitter. The lady was very accommodating and said 'no problem, we will move you into another room' so we could bring our son (children under 16 can't stay in wheel room and that's fine we understand). Upon arrival we were shown to our room, which was fine (dovecote) although nothing special. We went out for dinner (as restaurant was shut and the receptionist informed us the whole windmill was locked at 8pm). Upon our return we tried to connect to WiFi as neither 4g was working and there was no service. We tried continually all night (as I wanted to contact my mum) to no avail. In the morning after 8am I asked at reception what the issue was and the receptionist connected me to office WiFi (surpise!) Breakfast was substandard with my vegetarian husband being served frozen hash browns with undercooked sausages and 1 piece of toast between 3 people. When we left we were asked if our stay was OK and when I bought up these concerns I was met with a bewildered stare and no apology, just questioned why I didn't bring it up before (there was noone there to bring it up with!) We were given 2 free drinks as an apology with respect, but minimal for what we received. I was sent an email asking to address issues before leaving a review, which I did, and that email was ignored. Only today I called (10 days later) and asked why the email hadn't been responded to. I had a reply a few hours later, which was pompous, dismissive and unapologetic.. suggesting the high level of service is why its booked up for most dates. Sorry for £245 a night I expect a high level of customer service, care, standards and an apology for poor service we received. This was not our experience. I don't care whether its Norfolk or not, I wouldn't return if you paid me. My advice, don't waste your money.

Searles Leisure Resort is a coastal retreat in Norfolk offering various accommodations and recreational activities. It is located near the picturesque Norfolk coastline with access to golden beaches and charming fishing villages. Guests can enjoy amenities like an indoor pool, fish and chips shop, beach hut cafe, and onsite dining at Smoky Joe's restaurant.
We camped at Searles on a 3 night stay. We had a lovely pitch. Site was so clean. Toilets always clean whatever time we visited. Shop staff friendly with amazing selection. Good entertainment with friendly bar staff. Pool was cold and a bit murky. Great location to beach. Will be back later in year.

We have just returned from a great time at searles. We were in touring field, the toilet facilities were great and clean. The entertainment was excellent, especially for younger children. Food and drink prices are what you expect on a campsite, food was lovely. Swimming pools were a big hit with everyone, only small moan is 20p for lockers and some of them didn't work, overall a brilliant time, already booked for next year.

Great location next to the beach, arcades and the outdoor fun fair. The caravan is basic, outdated, not overly comfortable beds and the internet didn't work. We weren't able to purchase a voucher until the last day. The outdoor pools were closed even though it was Easter and sunny. The indoor pool perhaps suitable for younger children. Not too many activities to do so we stayed off site. No baking trays to cook with so bear this in mind if you want to cook, freezer food bought and wasted. Our fridge/freezer wasn't clean and smelt bad but the staff were helpful and came to clean it for us. Ambers restaurant is self serve but far from the bar, could do with a QR code, quite pricey for what it is. Wouldn't recommend for teenagers but could be a decent stay with younger children. WiFi quality very poor so don't expect to use it. Staff were really nice.

Great location for Hunstanton, the facilities where clean given how busy the site was over the bank holiday weekend. Pools are heated and warm, the entertainment was ok but stopping for Bingo is always an odd thing before the kids get too tired. We had a big open pitch but some of the site looked quite tight. Would go again. Seagulls and ducks will raid your stuff if you leave it outside! 🤣
Chris W — Google review
Great site and facilities, really enjoyed our stay the only down side is that if your not prepared to queue for an hour before the evening entertainment opens then you are unlikely to get a table. Touring pitches were very clean, tidy and well maintained with toilet facilities and showers close by wherever you are. We stayed for three nights and only got a table once and had to sit on the floor the other nights with a 4 month old baby. Unless they improve the evening entertainment seating arrangements or queueing we are unlikely to stay again as it plays a big part in the children's enjoyment of the holiday.

This was our second visit to SEARLES where we camped as a family of four with young kids. The pitches are tidy but squeezed in- however you don’t feel hemmed in. The shower:toilet facilities are good but on this trip we felt cleanliness was not as good as before. The pools are wonderful (albeit again, not the cleanest and a bit murky) the general facilities at the park are perfect for a wholesome family get away. The entertainment team and staff are really lovely and helpful. Cash required for fish and chips which were lovely! It’s all a bit dated in the lounge area but it just works and I think is part of its charm! Easy access to beach and beautiful sunset walks. We loved our visit.

Such a good place, I’m really picky about lots of things and couldnt find one problem with it, lovely area. It has tennis courts a football pitch 3 pools golf restraints buffet breakfast, and my family loved it so much we’re going back this year which will be our third year! I highly recommend trying this place. Also, if you like music you’re in for a treat because every night, there is entertainment including bingo house party and singing performed by Adam Browne and his crew. Please try this, you will love it.
Jack R — Google review
One of the main reasons we purchased a caravan on site was the entertainment in the evenings and Adam and his team. But, the swimming pools, golf course, closeness to the sea make it an absolute no brainer. Too many plus points to list.

Dunston Hall Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort is a grand mock-Elizabethan mansion located on the outskirts of Norwich. The hotel offers elegant rooms, a golf course, and a spa with themed restaurant nights. Guests can enjoy afternoon tea in the enticingly named Snug Bar and choose from a variety of teas to accompany tasty treats, including a vegan option. The hotel is set within 150 acres of wooded parkland and provides comfortable accommodations with free Wi-Fi.
From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome, the staff were great and helpful. The food was also good especially the lamb rump. The breakfast is buffet style and my only complaint is there was no black pudding. The golf course was in good condition and well maintained, they have a first hole challenge which’s worth a go, but don’t be fooled into using a driver. Ali in all a great weekend and I look forward to going back.

I had heard mixed reviews about Dunstan Hall but kept an open mind. It really was quite lovely! The grounds are nice and the hotel itself is very welcoming, clean and the staff very polite and helpful. We were there to play golf, and we really liked the course. The course was playing very well, and it's very pretty. We were staying in one of the feature rooms with a four poster, whilst the room is a little tired in its decor, it's a very big room, nice big bathroom, shower is good. Overall, for the cheap price it was an absolute brilliant stay! We didn't go into the leisure club so I don't know what that was like, but I heard people saying it was nice. I would definitely stay here again.

Recently stayed for a weekend away with my wife. A lovely hotel with great facilities. Our room ,a suite was very well presented. Clean and tidy on arrival with a provided mini bar. Breakfast was fantastic. Evening meals very good, apart from being let down by a very relaxed dress code. The golf crowd let it down by wearing flip flops and beach wear for dinner.???. I know it's primarily a golf hotel, but it let's down the whole feel of the venue. Mainly the golf ....... should grow up. The location of the hotel is fantastic for a Norwich city visit, with park and ride just up the road. Will visit again, lovely hotel. The best bit for us was listening to the piano being played, while enjoying a glass of wine. Pity it is wasted on the golfers.

I recently spent a night at Dunston Hall with my two children, and we really couldn’t fault the entire experience. Our family sized room was brilliant, it was spacious and clean with all amenities we could possibly want. The leisure facilities are fantastic - the swimming pool is clean, warm and safe for children, I am now considering a leisure membership. The hotel staff were all friendly, we especially liked the staff in the conservatory bar where we enjoyed a delicious and reasonably priced meal. We walked the grounds which were all well maintained, the setting is lovely. We will definitely return for another stay, and I would like to give a special mention to Katy Greathead in guest services who was particularly helpful in planning our stay. Many thanks to all the staff for maintaining such a high standard and providing such a lovely experience for guests.

Spent a few days here for work recently, and loved every minute of it. My room was kindly updated from normal to accessibility due to an injury without and questions. All staff were ridiculously helpful. Food on site (garden terrace and breakfast) was delicious. Lots of choice too for breakfast. Bed was super comfy, and my accessible bathroom was clean and spacious. Meeting room had everything we needed, including air-con for dealing with the heatwave. My only small suggestions for the hotel would be - Compote would be a good addition for the cereal station, as jam just doesn't go. Put decaf teabags in the rooms, not just decaf coffee. Everything else was brilliant and it was a wonderful few days.

I did not enjoy my visit to dunston hall hotel , we booked through golf breaks and paid for two nights and three rounds of golf , the golf side was brilliant and the course is really decent. but the hotel side is a bit poor , when you first arrive to check in you must pay an extra £100 as a deposit on your room per room. then we were told we only had a £32 budget for each dinner which meant if we wanted two courses you could only have certain dishes with certain starters or desserts to keep within that budget , and that budget doesn’t include drinks , so we chose to drink tap water which we assumed was free , apparently not , as we later found out when checking out there was a £16 bill we needed to pay even though we made sure we didn’t over spend , and we couldn’t get a receipt for the meal as the staff said they couldn’t give us one but reception could , and when we asked about it at reception the lady on reception couldn’t tell us what it was for so really they could have charged us for anything and we wouldn’t be able to argue it as they couldn’t give us receipts. other than that the rooms were fairly outdated for the price we paid. and when we went to the bar there were some rude guests/ members there who told us we couldn’t play snooker because the light wasn’t on which is not what we were told when we got the balls from the very nice lady working at the bar , to be fair the staff were very very friendly and helpful it’s just a shame how we were treated. would recommend the golf course but not staying in the hotel.

A lovely old hotel built in 1859 — you can really feel the history in the walls as you walk through the corridors. The wooden furniture shows its age with scratches here and there. The hotel also has a beautiful golf course and even a little church within the grounds. The English breakfast comes with a good variety of pastries in the morning.
World T — Google review
Lovely golf course, not the most challenging but it is a fun layout, has some very attractive holes and is kept in mostly very good condition. Can border on unplayable at times in the winter but remains open all the time, whether that's a good or bad thing is up to you to decide. Biggest issue is pace of play, absolutely horrendous on any given day you go. Very rare to be able to play 18 solo and be done in less than 4 hours, most other courses are 3 to 3.30 if not quicker. Have been occasions where I have had to give up and leave due to not being waved through and heading towards unacceptable round times.

Norfolk Woods Resort & Spa is a fantastic family-friendly park with a variety of activities such as fencing, snorkeling, and archery. The accommodations are modern and well-equipped, although some guests noted that the rooms can get quite hot in the sun. The resort features a wonderful spa with a range of treatments and friendly staff. There are also great kids' activities including mini jet skis and crafting, as well as a beautiful woodland walk.
What a great spot for a long weekend or short break - we loved it so much we booked our next stay before we even left! The lodges are modern and well equipped, very comfortable and warm. The site itself is very well maintained and it’s so handy having the bar, restaurant and shop just a few minutes walk away. The woodland walk was also perfect for a dog walk (about 30-minutes to do 2 laps) without having to get in the car. The shop had all the necessities, including dishwasher tablets for 20p each as the lodges do not provide these. They offered some locally baked items like cakes and rolls too, which was a nice touch. I visited the spa twice and was really impressed! The treatments are reasonable for the price, and the spa itself is incredibly luxurious with friendly and well trained staff. Definitely worth a visit if you’re staying or local! The restaurant had a good menu, with options for all. The staff were very friendly and service was of a good pace. It was also lovely to sit outside in the sunshine with a drink from the bar, again this was well stocked and even offered a short selection of cocktails. I would highly recommend a visit here, it has everything you need and is close enough to visit lots of lovely places - I recommend Swaffham on a Saturday for their market, and Sandringham for a long walk around the woods with your dogs.

My sister and I stayed at Norfolk Woods Spa Resort from 27th June until 4th July. On arrival everything was clean and tidy,, beds made up, towels provided. Perfect start. We travelled to various places of interest locally, we did not use the facilities on site on this occasion but the staff we did interact with were kind and friendly. Would highly recommend a stay . However there needs to be some Air Con with the extreme heat we are having, it got very hot and the wooden floor was burning us when barefoot. Please get some fans for the rooms!!!!

Stayed in the Lexham Premium dog friendly lodge. Perfect location on side as it backed onto the wood. Lodge was well set out, huge bathroom leading to the bedroom. You could access the patio from the bedroom & lounge where there was also a covered area to sit as well as the hot tub. We had takeaway from the bistro the food was lovely & sticky toffee pudding yummy. The little shop has anything you might need too. It was quiet when we were there, the wood is adequate to take your dog for a walk as there is no outside space as such between the lodges. Our only disappointment was the lack of attention to detail. The windows needed a good clean, the glass roof above the decking was filthy & some of the cutlery not that clean! The little welcome pack is very basic. While the lodge had most things you would need a mop would be a good addition. Overall we had a relaxing few days & would return.

The lodge itself is lovely, however could do with a few little touch ups. Rusty bits in bathroom, scuffs on kitchen island etc but nothing major. Hot tub cover was torn but again nothing major. I’m assuming they keep certain lodges for people who visit with dogs as there were a few stains on the carpet in the master bedroom. We were unable to use the dishwasher as the salt and water levels were low. We’ve been to many lodges that include dish washer tabs, salt, pepper etc. however we were only given a little bottle of washing up liquid, sponge and tea towel as well as some tea/coffee/sugar. I’m assuming because there’s a shop on sight they prefer you bought it. The biggest thing I had an issue with was the fact that we had NO water from Sunday 3pm till 10am the next day with no explanation. I found out from one of the neighbours that the water would be back on the same evening at 9.30 which never happened. The neighbours also informed us that water was available from reception. I assumed they would be giving out bottles, but no. We had to bring our own bottles, kettles or jugs which wasn’t ideal. The restaurant is nice, however a bit pricey. The water park is great if you have young kids. The woodland walk is nice. I went with 3 teens and they had the best time. One other thing which I didn’t mind but others may have an issue with. There’s a cockerel near by that will wake you up around 5am 🤣

Chalets are super clean and tidy, and have most of what you need to live normally. We used the Bistro on this our fourth visit for the first time. Food was mixed my fish and chips was good, but my wife's pizza left a lot to be desired. Having worked in hospitality services for a good part of my life, I found the Bistro service a bit amateurish. All in all we had a good stay, apart from the appx twenty four hour period with no water, that had apparently cut off.

My partner and I had an amazing time at Norfolk Woods. We stayed in a lovely lodge right at the end of the park. It was so peaceful, with the decking area overlooking the fields. The lodge had all the good stuff, like a heated outdoor hot tub. It was covered by a canopy with twinkling LED lights, and it was so cozy at night. But unfortunately the hot tub light didn’t work, even though the one in next doors hot tub did. The bed was super comfortable, and there was plenty of space for us. The bathroom was modern and clean. We did miss some things, like hand soap and toilet paper. But, we could easily get them from the shop on-site. They also had groceries and other stuff we needed. The restaurant was really good, but it was a bit pricey. The park is great for beach lovers. There are a few nice beaches nearby, such as Hunstanton. And there were lots of restaurants too within a 30 minute drive. We used the sauna and steam room, which were located inside the entrance to the main swimming pool, not the spa. Which was a bit confusing. Although lovely and relaxing. The park itself was clean and well-kept. It felt like a warm and inviting place to be. We had a great time, and we would definitely go back. I recommend Norfolk Woods!

Eh. We visited in 2019 for new year and had a marvellous time. An extra child in tow now we returned for Easter Weekend. Firstly, the lodge was filthy. Don't understand why we have to leave 10am on the dot on out last day for it to be cleaned 'thoroughly' if we turned up to a dirty lodge at 4pm!! The showers had black mould and dirt built up round the sealent, the toilet brushes were caked with poop, the sofa was filthy, had stains all over it and the decorative cushions too. The water in the shower changed temperature on it owns making it impossible for us to safely shower our kids down so we had to opt for the bath so we could keep an eye on the temperature. Really has gone down hill since we last visited. Staff aren't approachable, noisy road outside the lodge made our radiator in our bedroom shake so was really difficult to sleep. Beds are solid, you have to buy extra bin bags as they only provide you with 1 for your whole stay. Also bring your own dishwasher tablets as they don't provide them, they do provide a tiny bottle of washing up liquid however it runs out very quickly. You're asked to leave the lodge how you found it so on that basis, a basic clean and a bit of attention to detail - you'll do a better job than the cleaners.

Arrived at resort, couldn't get parked not enough parking spaces, have a blue badge but all 3 spaces taken by cars not displaying a badge. Check in was 4pm, queued for 45mins to be told, along with many other families our lodges weren't ready. Explained we had a autistic child so could they give us an indication of how long it would take and was told as long as it takes by the guy on the check in desk! Asked if we could use facilities whilst waiting and was told no, not without a lodge key and that the pool had to be prebooked although it was empty at the time. Got in one and half hours later but lots of other families were still waiting long after us. Had 2 lodges booked as was staying with friends. Lodge itself was lovely but very poor facilities. Welcome pack was non existent compared to other sites we have stayed at. It was lacking in basic utensils and all pots, pans, crockery and cutlery needed a good wash before use as filthy. Work tops needed scrubbing too and had to go to nearest supermarketto buy cleaning stuff to make it habitable. No inventory or folder with instructions to work oven etc. Child lock on the induction hob had been left on. Without instructions we weren't aware of this nor how to turn it off. No fire evacuation instructions in lodge which breaches health and safery act and fire regulations, especially when staying in a wooded area! Toilet was blocked and reported, manager came out next morning but smell permeated all through lodge for rest of the break as it was coming up through the drains into the shower tray trap and made it very unpleasant. Our friend's lodge was filthy carpet badly stained and covered in sticky stuff , bed linen hadn't been changed and pubic hair and bed bugs found in double bed. Mattress stained, contacted out of hours (5:30pm) to be told housekeeping had gone home and they didn't have spare linen so what did we expect them to do about it, turned out we spoke with same guy who had been on reception, same unhelpful couldnt care less attitude. Definitely needs to go on a customer care course. Friend had to sleep on sofa, which was filthy too, and ended up with bad back for rest of week and covered in bites, either bed bugs or fleas. Site had no continuity plan in place for such incidents. No spare lodge and no offer to put them up in hotel for the night until it was resolved. Manager came out next day but only changed mattress, kettle and bedding. Couldn't sit outside as extensive bird poo all over decking and furniture. Day of holiday ruined waiting for manager to sort lodge which was very stressful and very upsetting for both parties as we had lots planned for our stay. Bar shut at 9pm and overpriced glass of wine was like vinegar. Complained to both Hoseasons and the site manager in writing; 2 weeks later still waiting for an acknowledgement and response to our communications from either party. Site is owned by Darwin escapes not Hoseasons. Won't bother using Hoseasons again . Definitely wont be returning and would avoid this site as customer care is non existent, lacking in any basic continuity plans and failure to adhere to health and safety and fire regs.Totally ruined our much needed break and came home very disappointed with extremely upset children, should have been a relaxing break making lovely memories together infact it was the complete opposite.

Booked in February 2021 for The Hoste but was advised The Vine House , the sister hotel was quieter so booked for 3 nights in June. The garden was overgrown with a rat poison box in view. Our room, no52 was so dark as a shub completely blocked the light. There was thick dust above the bed and hairs in the bath. We asked to change rooms and were told there was only one left. When we asked to look at it we're told it had already been booked. The food at The Hoste was very average for the money . We checked out the next morning, extremely disappointed but luckily Number Twenty9 managed to find us excellent accommodation so our stay was not ruined. I have fed back our experience but heard nothing. dungeon with no mat

SEA LIFE Great Yarmouth is a family-friendly attraction located on the famous seafront of Great Yarmouth. It offers a variety of sea creatures, including blacktip reef sharks, African dwarf crocodiles, and clownfish. Visitors can explore the world of jellyfish in the Jelly Invaders display, observe Humboldt penguins, and walk through an ocean tunnel surrounded by a quarter-million liters of seawater.
Visit the sea life centre at least once a year. We absolutely love it. Lots of information points as you walk around about the animals around you. We particularly enjoy the submarine that you can walk into and see animals much closer, including the sting rays and blue lobsters.

Ignore what it says online as its says to be there for the time you booked but getting there you get a stamp and are told you can come and go as you please! So this is great if you wanna hear all the talks or go in and out and get a coffee. Place needs a damn good clean!!! But other than that still nice to look around! The talks and feedings were great too!

My son had a lovely time touching the starfish and little waterfall, and loved the sharks. Staff were understanding of his autism and that was much appreciated, cool octopus there too! Going to take him to see the penguins next time. Prices were better too off season, only £16 pp, and a free ticket for a carer if you're on PIP, so saved £16 too. Overall good activity for kids and adults alike, but the gift shop is very expensive! Avoid at all costs if possible haha! Only a stone's throw away from places to get food and drink too, and right on the sea front, bowling alley on the nearby Wellington Pier and arcades also. Very well situated, also close to Pleasure Beach. I'd recommend it to anyone with kids.

Walk through tunnel was lovely, good for the kids to see the animals well. In the room with yellow submarine, you were about to previously purchase food and feed the fish. There was a crocodile which you don't always see at sealife centres. Option to touch a starfish too. Nice as you could pay a little extra and it got you entry to the Giant Wheel too! Gift shop is very large, took kids a long time to pick something.

Not as big as other Sealife Centre s but still plenty to see and do. The café was reasonably priced and the bathroom facilities were very clean. Ample room to change the baby.

Highly recommended to book ticket online since it has discount for blue light card or student etc. The ticket allowed you to go in and out for a day multiple times. Although I must say this aquarium is not as big as others we had been like London, Newquay, Weymouth and Birmingham. Having said that we enjoyed the tunnel watching, penguin, fresh water fish, amphibians and experience on touching star fish.

A great experience for our family, our children (3 y/o & 5 months old) really enjoyed seeing all the animals and creatures. Very informative and a great variety of animals to look for and learn about. A highlight of ours being the underwater ocean tunnel, this was a great feature! Gift shop is stocked really well with plenty of choice and the staff were very helpful and friendly. One of the big downsides is it being small, we were done in an hour and that was us dragging out the visit somewhat.

Popped in yesterday for some breakfast after a really busy week. The service was absolutely amazing, so so much better than any service I’ve received in Norfolk over the past 4-5 years. The young lady that sat us at the table was extremely attentive, our drinks arrived almost before we had sat down at the table and our food was prepared in no time. The breakfast was great but made even better by the service provided by the young lady looking after us. I forgot to ask for her name, but this review is for her! An absolute asset to the Red Lion Team, well definitely be back time and time again after yesterdays visit.

Ate here on evening of 2nd October. Booked table earlier and staff gave us a nice table in front room. Excellent range of beers. Staff were very good, making recommendations. Pie of the day was excellent, my wife chose from specials menu. Nice atmosphere. Did not have pudding as too full. Highly recommended

We managed to get a room for the night for a very reasonable price. Parking is a bit restrictive so if we'd left it any later, I don't think there would have been much room left, if any. Sadly someone had marked our car and not left a note when we left the next morning...! The room was small but lovely. A bigger bed would have been nice but no doubt there were rooms with bigger beds if we'd wanted one. The room was well equipped with lots of tea and coffee and fresh milk was available in a fridge just of the stairs. The bathroom was lovely and clean with nice toiletries. Breakfast was tasty. Lovely orange juice. I had a vegetarian breakfast. It was delish but it beat me.. My partner's full English looked lovely. We would definitely stay here again...!

Had a fabulous Sunday lunch here, food was delicious and dogs are welcome which is nice. Beautiful view from dining room of the same front. Would definitely recommend and can't wait for return visit.

We chose The Red Lion for our mini break in Cromer because its dog friendly. It's in a great location overlooking the sea. We had a lovely Seaview room with views of the pier. The room was comfortable, clean and well equipped. It has a fantastic restaurant serving delicious food. Our Labrador Rosie was treated to a sausage each morning at breakfast. (Very thoughtful of the hotel)The staff were friendly and helpful. Will definitely return.

Such a professional team! We booked for breakfast and was given a great welcome. Shown to a large picturesque window table and served a hearty full English breakfast cooked to our individual choices. Served hot with plenty of toast coffee, tea, and juices. The service we received for breakfast was so good it encouraged us to book the first of our evening meals. We had another large table with plenty of room and still with a view. It was not only the quality of the food but the excellent waiter that meant we rebooked for the next night. When I called to rebook I was remembered and again we where given a great table location in the main restuarent under the lantern roof window. Our waiter from the night before welcomed us again and remembered our daughter in laws preferred starter she had choosen from the night before. The upbeat attentive attention was spot on in our opinion. Food was attractive, tasty and good quality.

We dined here and it was a very civilised occasion with lovely well trained staff and tasty food. The prices were good for the quality of food and the dining room was bright and comfortably furnished. Definitely recommend for a meal or a drink in the sea facing bar.

Old Hunstanton Beach, located in Norfolk, is a long stretch of coastline featuring both cliffs and dunes. At low tide, the beach offers an immense expanse of sand. With its west-facing shores, it's one of the few places in Norfolk where visitors can witness stunning sunsets over the horizon. The beach is characterized by rugged shingle and boulders on its western end and wide stretches of golden sand towards the east.
Spent many a happy hour walking down the beach with the dogs over the years. Best experienced when the tide is not in as there's lots of space then. It's especially lovely first thing in the morning when the sun is rising and no one else is around. It can get a bit busy near the beach entrance near the cafe and lifeboat station. But walk 5 minutes and you'll have plenty of space. You can also do some lovely beach walks on the sand to Holme.
Nicholas J — Google review
Nice and quiet beach. Dog friendly. Stretches quite far so there’s plenty of space. When tide out it’s quite far to get to the water and the beach can be a quite rocky or with seashells. Quite few jellyfish and dead crabs. There’s a public toilet (nice and fairly clean) and 24h car park we paid £10 for a whole day. Next to car park there’s a cafe shop. But if you walk further on the beach to the right, there’s really nice pub we were there in Friday so had live music, waffle van, fresh bake pizza place/van, really nice.
Paulina P — Google review
One of the easiest beaches to access. Quite a gentle slope to the beach compared with other beaches. Once you’re on the beach, turn right and you’ll soon be in almost total isolation. Huge open spaces. Check the tide times, it does make a difference. Lovely for dogs. Very clean and litter free. Big car park with amenities. Nice cafe.

Old Hunstanton Beach is a peaceful and beautiful spot with soft sand, sand dunes, and stunning cliffs. Perfect for quiet walks, watching the sunset, or exploring during low tide. Dog friendly and rarely crowded. A lovely place to relax and enjoy nature by the sea.
Jukejmen U — Google review
The dog loved it. Check the tide times or the sea will be miles away and the beach will be covered in broken shells to get to it which are impossible to walk on without any shoes.
Deborah B — Google review
A very pleasant place! The sea tide is quite small, so you can enjoy the water all day long. There’s a beautiful cliff and a lovely coastline with plenty of attractions around. Free parking is available, and the prices are reasonable. The sunset view is stunning. The beach has copper-colored sand mixed with stones, so I recommend wearing beach shoes.
Marta S — Google review
Amazing cliffs, brilliant rock formations and rock pools, there's even a shipwreck! A dog friendly magical place 😊

Lovely sandy beach, easy access from carpark, tide was in when we got there, interesting to see how fast the tide goes out

Cromer Beach is a quintessential Victorian seaside town located on the north Norfolk coast, offering a long pebble-and-sand beach with a promenade and chalk cliffs. The iconic pier features a Pavilion Theatre, while the area also boasts excellent fish and chips, independent cafes and restaurants, amusements, a lifeboat station and museum. Visitors can enjoy water sports, lifeguard-patrolled areas, stunning cliff-top walks, and an array of nearby shops.
Had a lovely short break to Cromer Beach. The area has a real buzz to it with a nice beach, plenty of local shops, and of course classic fish and chips by the sea. It really had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway, made even better by the great weather. Perfect spot for a simple, enjoyable break.
Simon Y — Google review
I would recommend going here early before all the crowds descend. When we went it was quiet and at high tide so there wasn't a lot of beach. The pier is lovely, and you do get to see a great view. There is some parking nearby, but you have to get there early to get a space. When we drove back through Cromer in early afternoon there were a lot more crowds and it was a lot busier which would make it a lot less pleasant to visit.
Kelly G — Google review
A nice English beach. The pier looks good. The Life boat part was interesting. We didn't spend too much time as it was quite cold and very windy. But overall, and in better weather, I think it's a good place to relax.

Great beach pebbles and sand with a lovely sea front. some area's can be a bit steep but lots to look at and do the pier is a great place to do crabbing from

Very nice walk along the front, beach is pebbles not easy to walk on. Parking is plentiful but not cheap. The parish church is worth a visit, there are peregrine falcons nesting on the tower. Peaceful town centre with good selection of local businesses.

Absolutely gorgeous to walk along. Saw seals every day we were there. Nice cafes on the promenade and a large part is dog friendly

The people of Norfolk are some of the loveliest in England; so warm, friendly and kind. Cromer beach was clean, dog friendly and with lovely soft sand. A little pebbly leading into the sea so take some crocks or something! But a great beach with great little food places alongside with seating to overlook the sea. Will definitely go back next summer:)

The Honingham Buck is a charming country pub, restaurant, and hotel located in Norfolk. The establishment offers comfortable accommodation with amenities such as a children's menu, board games, free parking, an indoor swimming pool, a Jacuzzi, and a sauna. Guests can expect warm hospitality upon arrival and enjoy the cozy atmosphere of the pub with excellent service. The pet-friendly environment ensures that even furry companions are welcomed with treats and fuss.
My wife and I had a fantastic stay at The Honingham Buck which was our first visit. The room was lovely and spacious. The bed was huge and comfortable with good bedding and nice plump pillows. The bathroom was a really nice temperature because the towel radiator was always on which was nice. We opted for a room with a bath and it was a nice large bath and the water pressure is fantastic in which it didn't take long to fill the bath. Small toiletries provided in the bathroom which is a nice touch and also there was a shower cap provided which my wife was thrilled with because she forgot hers. We had an evening meal in the pub which was our first visit here and it's a beautiful pub inside. The food was superb and of top quality. I had the Buck burger which was the freshest meat I've ever had in a burger. Prices are very reasonable for the quality you are receiving. A great drink selection. The next morning we both enjoyed a lovely breakfast. The staff are all friendly and welcoming. The pub has a nice sized beer garden and there is plenty of parking. We're looking forward to returning.

Want to express a huge thank you to the team here who went above and beyond tonight for us after we were extremely let down by another local business. The staff were incredible, extremely polite and the food was amazing. We went there to celebrate a 96th birthday and made our evening so special. They even went out of their way to surprise the birthday boy with a happy birthday dessert on the house. Can’t recommend enough, thank you for accommodating us and making my grandads evening one too remember.

Perfect place as a base for visiting our daughter in Norwich. Room was fantastic and the shower was great too. My concerns about noise from the car park was unfounded, no problems at all. The cooked breakfast was fantastic, we will be coming back!

After the surprise of finding an available room at short notice and great value I made a booking and what a good decision it was. My room was cool in the outside heat, due to a quiet air con.. Immaculately clean inside and out and the shower bang on temp. and of good power. Perfect after a hard day's graft. The evening meal was first class, three courses washed down with a great choice of beverage. The breakfast....I just know it will be amazing, but unfortunately I have to be gone, way before the 7.30am start.. but I know if I'd of asked,.they would have found a solution to my dawn dilemma. No need to worry, you've done enough! Great Place. I hope to be back ☺️ although next time in less of a rush, just so I can enjoy that sunny beer garden 👏🍻 All the best you're doing it very well 🥰

Haven't been here for ages but decided to visit with friends. Great selection of beers if you like Lacon's beer as its a Lacon's pub. Food was great with reasonably priced menu and good selection. Service was really good, Not rushed but not ignored just how I like it. Suggest booking (we did ) as we went on a Saturday night and it was really busy.

Well kept beautiful Old English pub with beams and stone floor in the bar area. Restaurant area more modern and very comfortable. Food was very nice( 1x Crab 1xChicken). Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Definitely would eat there again.

The location of The Honingham Buck is a lovely little village, easy to get to and parking is fairly easier with an extra car park towards the rear. Myself and my party went for Sunday lunch, the interior is well decorated with lovely pieces of art on the walls. Sadly due to it being summer and hot, and it being an old building, you could either sweat into your lunch, or have the doors open and be bombarded with flies. Just a heads up. We ordered our lunch, all had lamb, and it was on our table within 5-10 minutes. Quick yes, but sadly I believe a lot of the food was sat on a hotplate for much longer than it needed to be, as everything was overcooked, apart from the cauliflower in the cauliflower cheese, that was still crunchy. The desserts were good, not much to say there. We all had a different dessert, all opinions were the same, tasted how you'd expect it to taste and was pleasant. The service staff were very kind and friendly, however, when it came to giving cutlery for the desserts, they were just bunched and dropped on the table in front of my partner before the wait staff ran off again. I understand that it's busy but there's still a level of service to uphold. To summarise; it was.. ok. Which is a shame, as we have heard good things. They could've been having an off day, but sadly our chances of returning are very slim.

Had Sunday lunch there, it was pretty average, Starter not cooked all the way through and the beef used for the Sunday roast was fatty and tough. Staff flat out so not practical to send it back. Disappointing especially as it's paired with Sugerbeat in Swainsthorpe which is excellent.

The site features the original GoApe treetop adventure complex and a visitor center where you can hire a barbecue for a unique outdoor experience. Families can enjoy the flat mile-long High Lodge Nature Trail with various activities and information boards along the way.
Perfect place for a mid-week dog walk. Peaceful place to walk through. Despite car park being busy, we found the various trials very quiet. The cafe was well equipped with hot and cold food. The pizza and burger were both good quality and value. The cake selection was also great. Toilets were clean and well maintained too. The car park charge is fully digital which is easy enough, but charges are high.

Really lovely forest park. The kids love it here and gets them away from the screens. The facilities are first class and it also has a rather excellent cafe. Check parking before travelling but highly recommended day out for walkers or cycles. The go ape facilities are also brilliant but chargeable separately.

Great place, hired bikes at the store on site and the whole family loved it. Great for kids and adults, playground and adventure trails in the beautiful Thetford forest. Didn't have chance to visit the Cafe on site but looked very nice....the parking fair could be reduced a bit for people hiring bikes or visiting GOApe ( we spent over £80 on bike hire and £15 in parking fee ) but the facilities are all well kept so it is just my opinion not a criticism.

What a magical place! There is so much to do! Stations, GO APE, playgrounds, Walks. The small kids and grown kids had a great time! If your looking for an active day out, this is a great and non-expensive option. We did pick up some rubbish... people, please do better! 🚮

We visited High Lodge today for the second time within the last month. It’s a great place, especially for kids, and well worth the cost of parking. It was a busy day, but we were still able to find a table for a simple and small birthday celebration. Although there is plenty to do without paying for the additional Go Ape activities. If you do want to participate in the Go Ape activities then I recommend booking ahead to ensure a spot. The cafe is a little expensive; however, it’s comparable to similar types of places. Also, be warned that cell service is pretty bad (even using their WiFi) and plan ahead.

Take my grandchild here quite regularly, lovely place for a picnic and stroll through the woods. Multiple play areas are well worth it and keep little ones occupied for hours. Cafe is a bit expensive but they do make a good coffee 😆. Also some lil extra bits to do like archery and trampolining for a reasonable price.

We stopped here for lunch on a long drive. The play parks were great for all ages and offered a brilliant variety of park paraphernalia. Despite it being a bin free site there was barely any rubbish and both the parks and forest were really well maintained. Ginormous teepee slide (pictured) was a highlight for all my kids!

The Feathers is a charming Georgian property located in the heart of Holt's bustling high street, just 3 miles from the Norfolk coast. The traditional guestrooms offer a casual atmosphere, while the cozy bar and classic dining room provide a comfortable setting for guests. Surrounded by cafes, galleries, and antique stores, this gem of a town offers plenty to explore.
Lovely 1 night stay this week. We were upgraded to a King room which was a nice surprise. Easy parking at back of hotel. Lovely to have a radio in the room, this was a plus for me and is a rarity in most hotels. We didn't eat dinner in the restaurant, but our breakfast in the morning was fabulous and kept us going for most of the day. Would stay again when in Holt and will definitely recommend to friends.

We stopped off for an impromptu dinner and booked a table for two at 6pm. The staff were unfailingly friendly and polite. My husband had the Whitebait and lamb steak, both of which he thought were well cooked and presented. I had the sausage roll followed by fish pie. Both were acceptable. We accompanied our meal with Feathers Bitter (him) and cider on tap (for me). Both excellent. Professional set up here

I was traveling alone, but I felt completely safe and comfortable during my stay. The room was clean and had a fresh, tidy feel. The location was also excellent, making it easy to get around. Although my English is not very strong, the staff were very understanding and made every effort to communicate clearly. Thanks to their kindness, I had a very pleasant and stress-free experience. I appreciated their hospitality.

My friends and I visited the pub for lunch. The food was good. I had the ham and cheese sandwich with chips. The bread was fresh and the ingredients were very tasty. My friends had the sausage rolls. Which looked good too. The woman behind the bar serving the drinks was so rude. Her attitude!! There was no apology for keeping us waiting whilst she was ready a receipt, nothing. In my opinion she shouldn't be front of house, she should be in the back! She was also seen and heard raising her voice numerous times to colleagues whilst in full view of customers. It's a shame as the decor was cozy, and the food good, for one member of staff to let the place down.

What an incredible experience, Sarah was an exceptional hostess on both nights we stayed, she was welcoming, warm and friendly, her banter was exactly what we needed after a hard day of work. The food was hearty and incredible, with a feeling of home cooking as if Nigella Lawson was whom you come home to, the drinks were cold and refreshing, Steve behind the bar was quick with his service and never missed a beat. We were made to feel welcome and enjoyed the atmosphere so very much. The Feathers is the jewel in the crown of Norfolk and dare I say Sarah is the princess of Holt, this was our second visit to this amazing establishment and we will always stay here when working in the area. I trust that the owners look after Sarah and Ella in the restaurant and bar area as they were excellent and on a busy Wednesday night of service they delivered to a professional and perfect standard. The rooms are clean and tidy and the bed was comfortable, I spend so many nights a year in hotels all over the UK for work and The Feathers feels like I’m coming home.

We have been to 4 of the Chestnut pubs, The Feathers in Holt being the latest. We have not been disappointed. The food is always exceptional, the service is warm, welcoming and friendly and the young lady that served us was polite and courteous. The Feathers was no exception, we will certainly be going back and have already suggested it to various friends from north Norfolk as a place to go. Thanks

Comfortable room but could do with some redecoration. Also because of the large windows in our ground floor room we felt that some slatted blinds at the windows would offer more privacy during daylight hours. The Roman blinds fitted were not practical during the day. Otherwise very polite and helpful staff and excellent food.

Nestled in the heart of King's Lynn, the Globe Wetherspoon is a charming hotel that occupies a historic 17th-century coaching inn. This classic establishment offers cozy accommodations and features a delightful pub where guests can unwind with drinks while enjoying views of the river from its garden. Its prime location makes it an ideal choice for weekend getaways, as it's conveniently situated near popular attractions like Tuesday Market Place and King Street.
A great hotel, in an ideal location. Wetherspoon type meals, perfect if you’re on a budget! Parking can be tricky, there’s a cheap all day parking lot near by, but it fills up quickly. Obliging staff. Highly recommended for a short term break!
Robert S — Google review
Wouldn’t even rate a 1 star. Staff take any issues extremely personally with profound ignorance, and take it upon themselves to glare and whisper about your personal matters like primary school gossip, even days after occurrence!! As far as I am aware their job description is to serve and please customers like the employees they are, not step way out of line and behave like gossipy teenagers when any issues arises, whether that be food, drink or service. They act as if you aren’t paying good money to be there. Everyone knows Wetherspoons is not somewhere you go for ‘top quality’ but human decency should be standard. Either taking jobs way too seriously by taking personal offence to any issue or couldn’t care less and don’t want any customers at all???? This all happened at 3pm in the afternoon with a barely busy restaurant so no excuse that they were under pressure, god knows what it’s like at peak times!? Genuine family wanting a simple meal and a few drinks for a long awaited get together, treated like mob protestors and looked at like filthy pigs by staff. From reading other reviews you can 1000% see that we are not the only ones who experienced this. Sort your attitudes out and try to act at least a bit happy that you’re getting payed to be there!! Jesus

By far the worst pub I've ever been in, entirely because of the staff. Nasty, aggressive, unfriendly and incompetent. We bought our drinks at the bar. The barman put ice in my whisky even though I had told him I wanted it straight with nothing in it. Then the barmaid shouted at us to get away from the bar. It was mid-afternoon and very quiet in the pub, no-one else was waiting to order so why was she so nasty? She said "We don't do standing at the bar here". It was our first time in the pub so we didn't know that. Seems a bit weird but even if it's true you don't shout at customers and order them around. I noticed there was a large group of customers standing at the bar on the far side, but she didn't say anything to them! We left quickly and won't be back.

Very good, not to loud for a Weatherspoons. We ordered the sweet potatoes curry, which I loved. And my husband had the steak & Ale pudding which he said was good value for money and the portion size was good, but not stupidly huge.

I am very disappointed with my recent experience at Globe in King’s Lynn. We ordered 12 shots and 2 cocktails for our group of four, and after that, the staff refused to serve us anything else — not even food at our table. They told us they would refund the money within 7 days, even though we needed it immediately. The customer service was extremely poor, and the staff spoke to us very rudely. We couldn’t even finish our food because we were not allowed to order any drinks and were basically told to leave. I will never go back to Globe again, and I’ll be telling my friends about the unacceptable way we were treated.!!!! Pooor getting poor!!!! Straight away left the review after 🤬🤬🤬🤬

Be careful when booking here! Their system changed my booking dates without my fault, and when I called, they admitted it sometimes happens. They cancelled my reservation and told me to book again for the correct dates, but refused to refund my money. Very unprofessional and dishonest behaviour — I would never book here again.
Liliya N — Google review
Not stayed in their room accommodation and just visited for a drink and meal. Handy town centre location sited at one corner of the main Tuesday Market Place square. Four stars becomes five stars on fine days as a pedestrian interior can be switched to sitting in the very large beer garden. You would not think it had such an extensive outside area judging from its exterior. Drinks via the Wetherspoons app came promptly but the food order took 30 minutes however the beer garden was rammed and clearly a very busy sunny Saturday afternoon period when we visited - surprisingly few food menu items were unavailable given how busy it was. Recommended for value if you are happy supporting a chain pub over an independent in these tough times.
Roy J — Google review
We booked rooms at the globe for a family get together and was planning on using weatherspoons bar to meet 30plus family members (Big mistake) the staff are rude and confrontational. Whilst we had ordered a substantial amount of food, paid for the rooms in the hotel you would think we would be treated with some sort of respect and given some sort of customer service, whilst eating our dinner which was awful anyway the manager and assistant marched up to our table quite aggressively and said we have just seen a member of our table drink some alcohol on the cameras and would have to leave. The member of our table did not have i.d with her which was explained at reception on checking in to the hotel. No prior warning had been given. The member of our table had simply had a taste of a drink and this is how they reacted. Total over reaction from staff member. And ruined our whole weekend. They actually refused to serve any of our 30plus party and seemed to take great pleasure in, absolutely disgusted with weatherspoons and their staff and will never go to any establishment that is owned by weatherspoons. Again I don’t think they give any customer service training to their staff who behave more like the gestapo than hospitality staff.

The Cliff Hotel is a stylish accommodation option that provides elegant rooms and dining facilities. Guests can enjoy breathtaking sea views from the hotel's terrace. The Muse Restaurant at The Cliff Hotel offers a delightful dining experience in the heart of Gorleston-on-Sea. With its panoramic views, this chic hotel is an ideal choice for travelers seeking a sophisticated stay with beautiful coastal scenery.
We recently had a family lunch at the Cliff Hotel and we were so impressed with the service. We were immediately greeted by a kind and friendly staff member, who was more than happy to accommodate a large table of 7 with no booking. I believe his name was Justin. Justin and the other staff members on that day went above and beyond, checking in on us regularly and helping us with ordering when some of us were a bit unsure on what to get! The food was delicious and the views are amazing. The restaurant itself is very clean, modern and has a great vibe to it! I could see it being a great venue for large tea parties or other events such as birthdays. Thanks again to Justin and the team for making our family lunch a memorable one 🥰

Set on the top of the cliff looking down onto Gorleston on sea, seafront, this hotel has a great location. You can take the steps or there is an accessible ramp that takes you down to the beach and sea front facilities. A ten minute or so walk takes you to the town centre. The hotel is an attractive older building with new extensions. It has a great terrace area that is used for bar/ afternoon tea/ restaurant. The terrace is covered and has glass sides to protect you from the north sea weather. The restaurant is very good.A large roof lantern gives lots of natural light and the seating is comfortable and spacious. To the rear there is access to the terrace area. The menu though not extensive is full of tempting choices and the food very good. I went with the warm loaf option which is huge and must be shared. Probably do for four if you're having other starters as well. Recommended as it is extremely tasty. The room we stayed in was clean and large with an excellent high pressure shower(plenty of hot water as well). The basin was on the small size and shaving was hard as the lighting is very subdued. The huge bed was very comfortable. A nice touch though is the freshly bottled water in decanters. Now comes the but.....the room was very warm without heating( there was a large fan). The two days we stayed weren't particularly warm.It is impossible to have the balcony door or window open without experiencing loud noise from the kitchen extraction fans. The restaurant was directly below the room. We paid extra for a balcony with sea view.....yes you can see the sea and beach but the view is obscured by buildings and to one side is the the very unattractive Great Yarmouth harbour entrance. The aforementioned restaurant roof lantern is a few feet from the balcony and you can see and the diners can see you!!!. The balcony and room is only several feet from the adjoining block of flats that directly face into the room. The room didn't have net curtains so leaving the thick curtains open wasn't really an option. All in all the hotel is very nice for a short break as it's comfortable and friendly and the few problems could be easily rectified.

Booked table for 5 today for long awaited catch up. Firstly I have to say the young waitress Jess was a sweetheart...out of 5 meals 3 were seabass ..on previous occasions this has been super but today the meal was poor ...but it was the quite frankly bizarre way it was handled that was so disappointing. I won't bore you with details bit it was backwards and forwards to the chef who then sent back the percentage he thought we should pay ...we were left with no drinks or dessert menu and really ruined the afternoon...this has gone downhill since our last visit ....should have gone to the Fig .

Went for 90s bottomless brunch! Had a blast! Staff were working hard so me and my girls had a brilliant time! Especially katelyn she was so kind and accommodating always keeping the energy up for our group! Fast service and good atmosphere for events! Have stayed here previous and had lovely rooms!

We've been meaning to visit here for a while and just never seemed to get round to it. I'm kinda disappointed that we hadn't made the effort before because its a little gem. We only stopped in for a hot beverage and a small bite to eat. From the moment we entered we were greeted very nicely by the lady on reception who directed us to our needs. All the staff were really nice and took time to listen and respond accordingly. The drinks and food were of a good standard and at a really reasonable price. On the way out I said something to one of the house keeping staff and even though she was obviously extremely busy she took the time to talk to me. The views from the terrace of the sea and harbour were really nice to relax to.

Didnt stay, but used restaurant and summarise as below. Staff friendly, service was slowtook 20 mins to take drinks & food order and food took a further 40 mins. The food - we had the roast beef, portion size was small, the 1 carrot, parsnip and broccoli were cooked very well, the potatoes had an after taste the size of the beef was small photo below. Unfortunately not worth £18 The boy had the cheesy pasta and in my 10yr olds own words "its like macaroni chesse temu style" Wouldn't go back which is a shame as staff as i say were friendly and the outsude terrace nice in the sun

For £160 a night, I expected a hotel, not a game of hide-and-seek with the receptionist and a bathroom held together by hope and limescale... I used to visit The Cliff Hotel often growing up, as my family lived nearby, so I was looking forward to staying again while visiting family. Unfortunately, the experience was really disappointing, especially for the price. Yes, the location and views are lovely, but that’s about all this place has going for it. When we arrived, there was no one at reception, so we had to check in at the bar. Even the bar staff seemed confused, until they realized the receptionist was just casually chatting nearby. Check-out was the same, we waited around 10 minutes, only for someone to reappear from the back after we asked again at the bar. The room wasn’t great either. The bathroom wasn’t cleaned properly (there were marks on the shower floor and wall), and the fixtures were really dated. The sink wobbled, there were holes in the door, and the shower controls were so worn you had to guess to get the temperature right. The room smells musty, it was a bit grim. Staff throughout the hotel seemed distracted or disinterested - any interaction felt like a nuisance, which is a sign of poor management and perhaps staff not being looked after. The only real interaction we had was when it came to paying. At breakfast, one poor waiter was clearly doing everything on his own, while the receptionist was nowhere to be seen, she eventually turned up after making herself a tea. I don’t blame the individual staff, they seemed to be doing what they could, but the hotel is clearly poorly managed. In short: nice views, but not worth staying overnight. There are plenty of better places nearby. You’re paying for the view, and not much else.

Situated across from the beach, it features a stately brick facade and lovely gardens. The impeccably decorated rooms and common areas offer tasteful decor, with some providing sea views.
This has to be one of the nicest hotels I’ve been to. The rooms are cleaned regularly. When I had an issue, it was resolved immediately! The hotel is right opposite the beach, so my room has a sea view! Local to arcades and shops. The breakfast here was outstanding each morning! Beautiful decor, staff are lovely. Definitely booking here again! Xx

The staff were excellent throughout our stay, very attentive and helpful. The room was comfortable, breakfast was very generous, good full English, evening meals were also excellent, great bar area to relax In, good selection of drinks on offer, would definitely recommend, located ideally for the sea front, beach and local attractions, would definitely use again!

I came here with my mum and we had a really lovely weekend - the staff are absolutely brilliant, always checking you have everything you need and happy to help with anything. The food was amazing, had breakfast and dinner which had great portions. The atmosphere was lovely and we cannot wait to book again, is truly a gem. Parking is round back and the rooms were a good size.

We had a great stay - we asked if we could park and check in early at 12 noon and that was absolutely fine. The room was nice. There is a bar and restaurant for evening meals. Seven of us ate there and everyone's meals were excellent and we felt reasonably priced. There were lots of options for breakfast- we had a full English breakfast and it was lovely. Would definitely return

We loved our stay here. Our room was basic but most importantly it was clean. Very very warm after a 30°c day but we had brought our own fans with us as I cant sleep otherwise. I imagine if we hadn't had our own and asked, something would have been sorted. Staff were all friendly and breakfast was lovely. We had a fantastic day and having our hotel on the front, amazing!

Stayed for 1 night, single room. Good points: ideally located, clean, bar and restaurant are very nice, breakfast was nice, service very polite and helpful. You could see continuous investment but some areas still looking a bit tired. Bad points: mattress very uncomfortable and room was quite small. Parking to the rear isn't accessible if you have a modern sized car (SUV or bigger, but you might get away with small car or saloon).

We booked this hotel as a last minute overnight stay with our 2 young boys. Got welcomed by a lovely lady who explained parking, restaurant times and other facilities with us. Short walk to main strip. Our room was beautiful and spacious (had bunkbeds for the children and they absolutely loved it!) All staff were friendly and welcoming. All round brilliant hotel and would 100% recommend!

My mum booked a night away as a surprise for my birthday. We checked into another hotel initially which was awful the rooms were unclean and there was no hot water or heating. We then made a call to furzedown we had stayed here previously years ago. They fit us in no problem the rooms were clean and comfortable. The atmosphere was friendly and the breakfast was amazing! Will be coming straight back here next time we stay in Yarmouth.

This hotel and pub is lovely. We recently spent a weekend there and loved every minute of it . The rooms were very comfortable and clean. The pub had a wonderful atmosphere inside and out with amazing food and very friendly service. The staff are truly wonderful. There garden area had plenty of seating for outdoor time and is suitable for families and dogs. We were fortunate enough to be there on a weekend where there was a live band, DJ and barbecue. It was loads of fun for all ages. Definitely recommend going there!!!

Our review is a mixed one. Can't complain about the staff, Kelly in particular was amazing. Very helpful and understanding when in a slight pickle regarding keys. The food was okay considering the extra cost, there was limited GF options and only continental during weekdays which is a shame. The biggest letdown was the rooms. Although they were spacious and the bed was big and comfortable with plenty of TV channels and blackout blinds, they definitely need a deep clean, a lick of paint and a bit of tlc. Overall I don't feel the cost of our stay equalled to the experience.

Had a ‘meal’ yesterday, Sat 6th Sept 25. We were very disappointed overall. I had the ham hock starter (£10) with a wedge salad (£4). The ham hock came as a square tiny piece, no flavour, sourdough was that tough I couldn’t cut it! Sent it back. Husband had a ‘special’ off the board, a hot dog (£15). Would have got better at the local burger van. Came with over cooked fries. Very underwhelming and overpriced. Have to say for the cost of the items, the food could have had a lot more care and attention when cooking.

From the moment me and my family arrived the lady on the desk took over 10 mins to greet us and check us in and was extremely unhelpful! The moment we saw our room, we were pleasantly surprised by the size however that was it, the floor was dirty, had about 4 flys in the room and the bedding was full of hair! We instantly went down to complain and the lady again was extremely unhelpful and rude... she came up to check before she even sent a cleaner! We stayed on a Saturday and the pub was open till very late so just a warning that you can hear everything from the creeping floorboard to a woman coughing in the next room! Our mistake was staying there longer for breakfast, being served by the same unfriendly staff member, she took over 35 mins to even take our food order, of which was stale and not nice! There was even a fly in our orange juice.

Overnight stay for work. Lovely rooms, lovely people, lovely food. The surrounding area is very quiet and green. Service was fat and friendly, they even stayed late to welcome me. Food is a bit expensive, but very, very tasty.
David B — Google review
Overall restaurant had a good vibe but was let down by sluggish service which was not consistently good. The fish and chips were pretty decent but the fish was average tasting. I had the ribeye steak and it wasn’t succulent how you’d expect a rib eye to be and the puréed sweet potato was so runny it tasted like baby food. We tried a few wines because we couldn’t find anything that great so had to trade up for one of their more expensive ones. The biggest let down was the ice cream which my partner couldn’t finish because she said it was a waste of calories. When I challenged it I was surprised to hear it was homemade. It was very bland and just tasted cheap.

Food was good, but it was not spectacular. Potato's were impossible to cut and the roast and lots on sinew so difficult to eat. Desserts were better, prefer the sticky toffee pudding, it is however a straight sugar hit

Fantastic hotel I have stayed twice now once in a suite and once in the honeymoon suite. Rooms are spacious clean and inviting. The service from the front desk to the restaurant staff is great very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The gym is good and although i didn’t go in the pool area looks lovely too. A lovely place to stay and relax. Food on the restaurant is well presented and tasty. There are plenty of relaxing places to sit and relax. Rooms are comfortable, albeit quite basic for the standard offering. A choice of two good courses, the Valley being more challenging. Food in the golf bar isn’t so good and rather expensive for what it is.

Lovely weekend away! The hotel is amazing and the staff go above and beyond. We stayed for 1 night only, but it was great to see that they have plenty of facilities to stay longer. The hotel has a very calm and relaxing atmosphere, but is also very close to Norwich, so it's perfect to enjoy the city and relax back at the hotel. Sharon, Sophie and Morgan were amazing and made sure we were very well looked after. Also Pete made sure we had everything set for the birthday celebration. For sure will be recommending the hotel and returning in the future.

Went here on a golf trip, amazing course, we all loved it The staff were absolutely amazing and so friendly, we asked for our set meal to be in the bar instead, they gave us 3 free tokens each for a main, dessert, side or drink. And when they forgot our sides they gave us a free round on the house. I’ve never been so amazed with the staff friendliness and kindness they gave us. We will be making this a yearly trip, greenkeeping staff and hospitality staff (especially Ryan and Louise) should be very proud.

Had an excellent Sunday / Monday golf break. Both golf courses are 1st class. Really well looked after and the best I’ve played. The break itself was exceptional value. The dinner bed and breakfast offer was fab. The location really beautiful and the team and rooms excellent too.

I called to book because we needed to know about accessibility. We were told that the bathroom would not have level access, but we could be given a ground floor room and that was all fine. My husband was unable yo get into the sports bar (all steps), he would not have been able to access the pool or changing rooms and his scooter got lodged on a step to get into the corridor where our room was. The scooter had to be lifted over. Had we have known all this, we would not have booked and we certainly cannot recommend to anyone with mobility problems. On the plus side, bar staff, spa staff, and golf shop staff were all excellent. Spa was lovely for me. Room was nice (once we got in!) Food was delicious.

Mundesley Beach in Norfolk offers a serene coastal experience with its long sandy shore and dunes, making it perfect for families with young children. The beach is adorned with colorful beach huts and golden sand, providing a picturesque setting. Visitors can enjoy activities such as paddling in rock pools and taking leisurely walks along the coast path to Overstrand for stunning sea views of Blakeney Point.
Mundesley beach to the southern end before Bacton...on the cliff top walk (not really a cliff, just a slope)...the tiniest and loftiest place of beautiful seclusion you could ask for, when you need that tiny point between time and breathing, that's what it felt like, where you have all the time in the world. Probably the closest thing I've found to tibet....without the travel. Worth a saunter...give it a go 🫴

An underrated beach in Norfolk. Although not as popular as Cromer or Sheringham, but I personally prefer this sandy beach, offering perhaps better seaside experiences for families - there are shops, cafes, car park next to the beach within 1 minute walk, not so crowded as Cromer or Sheringham, a lovely experience in Mundesley on a sunny day.

Norfolk Coast National Landscape is a vast protected area with diverse and scenic landscapes, offering tranquil seaside views, walking trails, and abundant wildlife. Visitors can explore sandy beaches like Holkham, pine forests near Wells, and birdwatching at Cley Marshes. The area also features attractions such as Felbrigg Hall with its beautiful walled garden.
Wells-Next-The-Sea is a lovely beach, great expanses of sand when the tides out. Of which it goes way out! Lovely and clean and peaceful, not overcrowded. It is a fair walk from the town, but pleasant and flat & level. Lots of shells 🐚 for the kids to find. Late afternoon approx 5pm? We heard a loud siren 🚨 going off like an air raid warning! I could only assume it was to warn everyone about the tide coming in . If you were as far out swimming in the sea and not in one of many inlets , it was a long walk back to land! Within 5 mins of the alarm the current in the inlet we were just lying in suddenly really picked up, enough to pull small children off their feet and away. So beware. Really lovely fish and chips too! We visited on a Friday, the eateries seemed to stop serving by 9pm,then only selling what's left in heated cabinets. They tend to have music festivals too in town. Fri/Sats/Sun. So worth checking out.

We just came back from a 5 day stay. The caravan was definitely well cleaned when we arrived. Lots of activities for parents and all age children to enjoy! Close to the beach and town. Quite a few amenities on the grounds and the staff was very friendly and helpful. There were a few things that we were surprised to find. There were no towel rails inside for showering towels, nor were there any hooks for clothing in bathrooms or on bedroom doors, except for 4 that hung in the hall for coats. We used them for other things, since it wasn’t cool there. But not enough to provide for 4 people. The ‘drying’ racks were small and narrow so unless it was hot and dry, there was no place to hang wet bathing suits or towels to dry. I did notice that there was only 1 large frying pan and no spatula to turn burgers or eggs over. Also the trim around the edge of the TV was coming unglued and kept getting caught in the drapes. If we go there again, I’ll be sure to bring essential utensils and a substantial drying rack.

My daughter was very scared doing one activity and Chris was really good with her, he made her feel comfortable and made her laugh in the end she loved and didn't want to come off. Also Chris is a very good teacher, I'm now good at shoot and archery. His very good with the children and just makes it fun. The entertainment was good and fun for all ages. The food was nice and quick.our caravan was next to the walk to the beach, when we was on the beach we had the chance to see a seal which made my daughters day. All activities are worth the money and the pool was fun again for all ages, the only we wished is that we had more then 14 slots. We loved so much we booked to go there again next year. I highly recommend coming here.

Very big and busy place. Felt a bit overcrowded in evenings. If you not coming early enough, will not get a space to sit down. Every night was stuff performance, which was okay (dancing and singing), but after couple nights would nice to have a change. Caravan was nice and clean. Unfortunately swimming pool was shut all our stay and they notify us about that very last minute. Nice location. I would say a bit overpriced.

Great site for a family holiday. Very expensive but we all had a great time. Check in was nice and easy, they knew who I was as I pulled up to the barrier as they had my number plate on record. Entertainment was good although my children found the music far too loud and it made conversation difficult. There was a bus and a land train that stopped right outside the site so getting to the town centre was easy. The beach was easily accessible and was convenient to have right on our doorstep. Lovely site overall with great facilities and would be happy to come back again.

Myself and my young family have been coming to this Haven for around 6-7 years, we always have an amazing time and the children love it, the entertainment is brilliant, caravans are lovely and the swimming pool & activities are always engaging and enjoyable. This last holiday hasn’t been the same though, although the caravan is nice, the oven is pretty much unusable, you can’t read the dials and it gets so hot you can’t open either doors. There is only 1 tray to cook with and no oven gloves. To the parks credit after we took this up with them, they sent over 2 more oven trays, but seemed pretty dismissive when we mentioned about the oven getting so hot. Our children didn’t burn themselves on it, but someone else’s will. I had to use bath towels to operate the oven. This isn’t on. During the evening entertainment this evening, my little girl stood in some human poo in the main marina bar!! We are 99% sure which child did this and who the parents are, but after we cleaned my poor little girl up in the toilets the parents and child had gone, we saw them laughing at the table after we could smell the poo but didn’t put 2 and 2 together until after we clean my daughter up. Her shoes have been put in the bin and she has no shoes for the rest of the holiday. We spoke to security and let them know what happened, but the poo was up all the chairs, on the vending machine and all in the carpet. It’s absolutely disgusting!!! We will come back after this trip? I’m not sure we will What a shame.

Caravan clean, well equipped and large enough. Facilities at seashore are great, nice restaurant albeit prices have gone up and £1 kids food no longer available Friday or Saturday. Great swimming pool with fun slides

I visited the park having been to many caravan holiday parks in the UK. I can honestly say this was one of the cleanest, most well kept parks I have had the pleasure of visiting. The staff were all very friendly and helpful from the entertainments team to the sales teams. Personally I would be more than happy to book a holiday at this park knowing the service I received on visiting just for the one day.

Haven Hopton Holiday Village is a fantastic destination for families and couples looking to enjoy a memorable getaway in Norfolk. Nestled near the vibrant seaside resort of Great Yarmouth, this holiday park offers easy access to 15 miles of stunning beaches, including the exciting Pleasure Beach theme park and various amusement arcades that promise endless fun for all ages. The newly opened Marina Lounge serves as an events arena where guests can revel in thrilling live shows, ensuring that entertainment is always at your fingertips.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Fantastic family break – perfect for kids and the dog! We’ve just returned from a wonderful stay at Haven Hopton, and I can’t recommend it enough for families. We travelled as 2 adults, 2 children, and our dog, and everything about the holiday was spot on. The caravan was spotless, spacious, and really comfortable – plenty of room for the kids to spread out and for our dog to settle in. Having the option to bring our furry baby made such a difference, and the park is very dog-friendly with lots of space for walks. The location is brilliant – right by the beach, which the kids loved exploring, and close enough to enjoy days out around Norfolk. The facilities on-site were excellent: the swimming pool kept the children entertained, and the evening entertainment was fun for the whole family. Staff were always friendly, welcoming, and nothing was too much trouble. We all came away with lovely memories – from lazy mornings in the caravan to family adventures by the sea. It was a proper family break where everyone, including the dog, felt included and relaxed. We’ll definitely be booking again – highly recommend Hopton if you’re looking for a clean, fun, and family (and pet!) friendly holiday park.

Sadly just returned home from another wonderful break in Hopton on Sea. Absolutely stunning caravan in a beautiful location and a good standard of cleanliness. The park is very well maintained. We just love it here. The views are amazing. Everyone friendly and welcoming. Already booked for 2026!

Brilliant our of term time as nice and quiet. The baby pool was a bit to cold so that was a shame. But good staff great set up. Beautiful location and love the big duck pond and little parks scattered around. So close to the beach and it's a beautiful beach.

***/*****. 3/5. I'm returning in a couple of weeks for another short cheap stay, to see if I can add more positives and reduce the negatives, I'll let youse know. A well situated park with nice staff and an awesome beach. Usual Haven amenities. (I RECOMMEND THIS Haven 😉👍. GOOD. STAFF ARE Nice, helpful, polite and a couple went the extra mile with service. -A clean and tidy park. -free cash machine. -Very Nice beach ⛱️. (small) -Caravan is good value(at this time of year). -LOTS TO DO, Shows, Amusement, Bar, Swimming pool, 18+ Machines. -(out of season so indoor pool only) which is great for little ones BAD. -The extractor fan in the bathroom doesn't work. - My Pepsi from the bar was flat and nearly £4. -Although the indoor pool is great for little ones and children as mature adults the wife and I couldn't comfortable do any length type swims. -loose and wobbling toilet seat in caravan bathroom.

Fantastic little holiday park with lovely clean caravans. Felt very secure and welcoming. Has mini golf, climbing activities, swimming, kids club and bike and cart hire. There are two arcades on site, the staff in the stardust arcade are lovely and so good with kids. The site itself backs onto a beautiful little beach that is perfect for paddling, but it is unmanned so children need to be monitored there as the tide can come right in to the rocks. Looking forward to visiting again sometime!

Dormy House is a warmly decorated hotel located near Cromer, offering simply furnished rooms and stunning sea views. The hotel's clifftop position provides panoramic views of the north Norfolk coastline, and guests can enjoy the enclosed terrace designed to shield from sea winds while savoring the renowned daily carvery. The hotel's location allows for easy access to West Runton Beach, Cromer for its famous crab sandwiches, and Sheringham for cafes, pubs, and antique shops.
Stopped here for a meal on return to our camper i had double cheese burger and the wife had fish and chips. When the food arrived it looked really good. I have to say it's best cheeseburger I've had in a long while. The fish and chips were awesome too. A big thumbs up. Its dog friendly. Staff really nice. It's located on a149 between west and east runton. Well worth a visit.

Came for the Sunday carvery and oh my goodness!!! Incredible, we visit every year due to a family holiday home in East Runton and hadn’t been before but we will definitely be back!! They were more than happy for our toddler to have a side plate (free of charge) the meat was amazing (beef nice and pink!) roasties and veg were cooked to perfection and the gravy was to die for!

Absolutely loved our stay here, brilliant location, right next to the beach, the room was perfect as well as the breakfast hamper. The hotel itself was lovely, great little bar and outdoor seating. And lastly the staff, super helpful, friendly and polite, and a special thank you to the staff for finding our little girls teddy that decided to have an extra nights stay. They checked the room over and over until it was found and was sent back home the next day. You've made a little girl very happy. Looking forward to staying again.
Richard H — Google review
Came for a family meal with guests. Was not told at booking there would only be the carvery available which looked "ok". Kids' meals were limited to very crispy cod bites or sausages meat wise despite my sister finding different options on the menu before we came that the children would have eaten. As it was we had booked and were kind of stuck but kids left all the meat so we paid maybe £40+ on chips and beans! The beef on the carvery was bright red and very unappealing (never had that at a carvery before) so myself and my father had to pick alternatives. Got 2 small slices of fatty pork instead. Staff gave mixed messages and appear unaware of which foods are gluten free, initially telling us Yorkshire puddings were, to a bit later saying they weren't so my sister had to ask to start her plate again as contamination risk. My sister was almost apologetic about this, yet she wasn't the one at fault. Coeliac disease is no joke. Gravy was thin and tasteless. Yorkshire puddings were awful, crispy and barely edible. It was all a bit bland tasting and is expensive especially as minimal staffing about so tricky to find someone for drinks etc. I'd rather go to Castle Carvery.
Sarah — Google review
A bit of an unserious restaurant... On two occasions where we have called up and booked a table, they have had no record of the booking on the system upon arrival. Then today I called prior to arrival to check that the whole menu is available since we don’t all eat roast dinners, but when we got there we were told it’s “just what’s left over there”, as they gesture at the sorry looking carvery counter. The staff are nice though and helped us find a nearby alternative!
Max M — Google review
We booked for a meal for this evening and to be fair was advised that there was a limited menu. However most dishes were fish, there was Beef Pie & Mash but no vegetables. My husband had the Salmon, new potatoes with salad and couscous. He is not a fish lover but had the best meal he could that was a healthy option. I don't like salmon! As I have acid reflux issues I was trying to avoid food coated with batter & chips. However the best option for me was the childrens Fish pieces coated in batter, garden peas & fries. It was ok. 4 other guests looked at the menu and decided they didn't like the choices either and told the Waitress /Bar Attendant Gee that they didn't like the menu. Almost everything was fish. Gee was lovely but think she needs to look for another job before she finds herself out of it due to the limited choices at what appears to be a top quality establishment. Such a disappointment when we have always had a lovely choice of menu and excellently cooked food during our previous 3 holidays. I understand that Dormy have had 4 changes of ownership in recent years. I think number 5 must be due! Suffice to say we will not return. The only reason I have rated Service 5 is because Gee was so pleasant. Good Luck Gee.

Booked a table for three for 2 o’clock, no table available should have sent alarm bells ringing. Queued up for 15 minutes only meat available was pork, sat down queued up again this time for over 20 minutes only to find yet again only pork available. The beef had yet again run out, what food I had was good. If you like pork fine, if you want beef or turkey not the place to go. Service at the carvery was somewhere between nonexistent and a total shambles, on my never again list
Michael W — Google review
We have been meaning to try this carvery for a while and eventually did with our friends. There were 4 Adults and 6 children. The roast was nice, plenty of meat given and lots of the trimmings to choose from, by the time I got up there I had to wait for things to be replenished but it wasn’t long. The adults plates are however small which is just annoying to be frank and the other issue i had was with the price of the children’s food. It was 12.95 for a child which Is fine for the 9 year olds but for the 4 year old and 15 month old it’s just crazy, they barely ate £1’s worth! Under 5’s should definitely be priced differently. We wouldn’t return because of this it’s just not young family friendly.

Holiday Inn Norwich City, an IHG Hotel, offers casual and contemporary rooms with amenities such as a restaurant, bar, gym, and free Wi-Fi. Located just 15 minutes from Norwich's medieval center and adjacent to the Norwich City Football Club's convention center, this non-smoking hotel is easily accessible from the A47 and the train station. The spacious, air-conditioned rooms feature LCD TVs and internet access.
Good-sized rooms that are clean and comfortable with the usual amenities (although there's no fridge or minibar). The young ladies at the front desk were also polite and helpful. The hotel is attached to the Norwich football grounds, so it's really convenient if you're there for the footie. It can be a bit of a walk into town, though. The breakfast was very good value for the money and quite tasty. The general decor and ambience were better than I'd expected
Jeremy F — Google review
Although this hotel is rated as four stars, the interior feels very outdated. The space where a small fridge should be was left empty, the sink was leaking, and the glass partition in the shower had a large gap at the bottom—completely failing to keep the water in. After every shower, the bathroom floor was soaked. The most disappointing experience happened at breakfast. My companion and I waited at the entrance, gave our room number to the staff, and were guided to our table by a friendly staff member in a white shirt. She kindly told us the table needed to be wiped first, asked us to go get food, and everything felt very welcoming. However, as we were walking toward the buffet, a woman in a black outfit, who looked like a manager, suddenly came out and questioned us about whether we had given our room number. This was extremely unpleasant. We had clearly followed the rules—waited at the entrance, reported our room number, and were led by staff to the table—yet we were made to feel as if we were sneaking in for a free breakfast. Even worse, during the whole meal we noticed she never asked the same question to any other guests. Was it because we, as Asian guests, looked more “suspicious”? It felt offensive and discriminatory. That said, the hotel does have some positive aspects: the unique view of the stadium from certain rooms, very warm and welcoming front desk staff, and a decent gym.

A decent hotel not far from the train station a medium walk from town. The rooms are big, if little faded. Staff were wonderful. The continual emails asking for reviews after staying here have been frustrating though. The price was also high for what you get

Staff were lovely. Rooms were comfortable, clean and had air con. My only complaint was the evening menu, it was quite tasteless and quite a small choice and some very odd combinations as they're trying to offer something for everyone without offering too much choice

Today we decided to book a 1pm pre match meal in the restaurant. We ordered at 1.07 . There was around a 20 minute wait until 2 out of our 3 meals arrived. My son ordered a duck salad and his did not arrive at the same time, As this does not need to be cooked we were baffled! Despite asking about the missing meal on 4 occasions it did not arrive until 1.58. Why ?? We were told the reason was there was only one chef on duty. On an matchday this is ridiculous. Also there was only one waitress taking orders. This totally ruined the occasion and the staff simply said it’s coming or it’s on its way when we asked rather Han offer an apology and an explanation . My son said to the manageress that he wanted a refund when his food arrived 51 minutes after we ordered . The manageress then tried to remove the food! But in the end agreed he could eat his lunch and eventually he had his refund. Memo to the restaurant manager, on match day please have adequate kitchen staff/ chefs, and more than one waitress taking orders and delivering drinks. I suspect this is the main reason the restaurant wasn’t packed like it used to be! The photo below should not take 51 minutes to prepare!

Rooms were dusty. You can check the drawers which seemed to not have been cleaned in a while. Beds were not very comfortable. Breakfast spread was good, but the service could have been better. We opted for half boarding looking at the available vegetarian and Indian cuisine options. But that was only in the advertisement, in actuals my wife had a lots of problem since she is vegetarian and she has problems with mushrooms and soya based options.

Had the worst experience here. Booked by my husband as he had stayed previously when on business trips (partner hotel with the company he used to work for). Not greeted warmly by the receptionist, who barely looked up from her computer and said ‘rooms not ready’. It was 13.30 and I had to ask her for the check in time. When we arrived back at 14.55, she didn’t look up again and pointed at some chairs and said ‘you can wait there’. While we waited a family came in, who she proceeded to check in. When I asked her why she had not called us to the desk she replied that they were there first! I honestly felt like I was being reprimanded by a school teacher. When we arrived at our room there were two trays of smelly room service left overs outside the door. I want back to reception to ask for them to be removed and she didn’t even apologise. Breakfast was appalling, dried up cooked breakfast and awful selection of yoghurt, not what I would expect from Holiday Inn. To top it all off, there is a sign on the reception desk about being courteous, i believe the staff could all benefit from this. Would have preferred to give no stars for service bit this was not an option.

Spent £90 for dinner before a Norwich game, as we do most evening fixtures. Holiday Inn happy to take my money then. Wanted to go back in after and was not allowed. Company policy apparently. Really really disappointed having spent over £1000 this season on food and drink. When they do let me in I will have something more to say to the management 😡🤬😡🤬 Just walked past the door 15mins later no security. So clearly just stopping people going back in after a match. I was a Holiday Inn regular customer and they’ve totally blown it. Dreadful. I want my money back.

I have been staying here for many years, and the staff are always wonderful; friendly and obliging, and nothing is ever too much trouble for them. Thank you all, and I'm looking forward to my next stay.

Very comfortable Public house, with accommodation (if you need it) beside the A140. Plentiful Parking and lots of space inside if you're after a lunch. Easy to get lunch out, with a decent menu, unlike most local places that seem to concentrate on meals rather than lunches! Had Chicken Club sandwiches there twice - very good! Must try some of the other choices on the menu!

Didn’t use the hotel just family meal & drinks. We live in next village and used the ram for many years highs & lows. Wanted to give it another try. Staff lovely and nice to sit outside in heat wave with a cold drink. Relaxed vibes busy with guests & walk ins. The meal sadly was very bad I felt £100 wasted on treating folks. Garlic bread was a warmed up ciabatta neither garlic or butter would have complained but no one came over during meal to check on drinks or food once. Mains below average. Mustard chicken very poor almost all cream no mustard. No rice and we slanted chips instead of hassle back. We found the chips over cooked hard and below average in presentation quality and felt disappointed. Nothing really stood out on the menu. Father’s brioche bun was cheap hard to eat. For the price a let down

The Le Strange Arms Hotel & Lodges is a relaxed property near the beach with sea views and free Wi-Fi. It offers two restaurants and a bar for guests to enjoy. The hotel provides a pleasant stay, with well-maintained older buildings that don't have a musty smell. However, some guests found the meals to be poor in quality and variety.
We took advantage of an offer and stayed here in January. The hotel and Old Hunstanton are very nice. We were in one of the more modern rooms on the ground floor and were very happy with it. The evening meal and breakfasts were good and atmosphere was nice. I'd highly recommend coming here even in the winter months as the scenery and local area are lovely.

We held our wedding at the Le Strange Arms Hotel last Saturday. From the very first meeting Tanya was so helpful and reassuring. On our special day we were blessed with sunshine, which only enhanced the already beautiful setting and location. All the staff were amazing, polite and nothing was too much trouble. Our wedding breakfast was held in the Palace Suite, we had a 3 course sit down menu and the food was gorgeous. All our guests commented on how much they enjoyed their meal and how well they'd been looked after. If you are thinking of getting married there, don't hesitate, you really won't be disappointed. Our special day was perfect. Massive thanks to Tanya and all the team

Stayed here recently for a long weekend in spring. The pros are that it’s a lovely location close to the beach, the view (if you have one) is very nice, the family room is an excellent size, and the overall hotel feel is very cozy and traditional. The cons are that the hotel could clearly do with a little investment, I have to say many of the staff are not that friendly, the breakfast and dinner is quite average, the snooker room is permanently closed following flood damage last year (this actually made a difference to our stay as we were really looking forward to using the snooker table) and the sole bar in the hotel is poorly manned; there is a 90% chance if you go to the bar in the evening that there will be nobody manning it and you will have to wait a good 5 minutes until someone shows up.

We held our wedding here last week and couldn’t be happier with how perfect it was. Tanya and the rest of the Le Strange team were absolutely brilliant and so accommodating to our and our guests needs. The venue was perfect, the food was lovely and all of our guests had an amazing time not only at the wedding itself but staying at the hotel for the weekend. The rooms were lovely and the hotel had even provided dog beds and treats for our three furry guests. Everyone loved the location and want to return! We are so happy with how everything turned out and only wish we could relive the day again. Thank you so much for making our day so special and memorable x

Lovely hotel. Yes dated in need of renovation but cannot complain. The staff were fantastic from start to finish, nothing too much trouble. We stayed for one night on a bus trip, had a twin room overlooking a pub, very quiet. The beds were lovely and comfortable, the shower was big and powerful. Tea/coffee in the rooms also made aware more available from reception in need be, also toiletries. Food was plentiful and good variety. Played bingo and entertainment was spot on. We had a problem with the heating in the room but soon rectified. Ideal location. All in all nice hotel with lovely staff. Thank you.

Very nice staff and the hotel is ok. The entertainment at night quite poor. The biggest problem is the car par where you don’t want to move your car because you would not get a space back. Overall the food very average but the staff are so friendly and helpful it doesn’t matter. Wouldn’t stay again but if I did I would stay here.

Location for us was perfect due to mobility issues, room clean & tidy, with a view of the pier & beach which was a bonus. Staff very cheerful, friendly & helpful, shame not enough of them, they worked very hard. Food far better than some other Alfa hotels we have experienced including the packed lunch we had on our leaving day. Bar prices also reasonable. Cromer is a lovely town with lots of interests and the weather was on our side. Hope to return.

Just returned from weekend with Alfa Travel. Brilliant time, 3 nights of entertainment. Very happy with this hotel, food excellent, rooms warm, bed comfortable, what more can we ask. Staff helpful and very friendly, will definitely return to this hotel, it was a pleasure.

Indoor golf course
Windmill Adventure Golf is a unique indoor crazy golf experience located in the historic Windmill Theatre. It offers a variety of themed holes, including dinosaurs, pirates, and New York City, making it an enjoyable activity for the whole family. Being housed in an old theatre allows visitors to enjoy the adventure golf regardless of the weather. The course features themed settings such as superheroes, dinosaurs, circus, and beach themes that captivate children and provide a great option for family time.
Great indoor Adventure Golf set in what was the Windmill Theatre. The whole place is like a museum dedicated to film and theatre, with each hole have a different subject. You could just walk around looking at all the models, memorabilia and information without actually playing the golf. Certainly makes a different and very worthwhile, fun game of adventure golf.

We loved this course! But then we love film as much as we love adventure golf. Each hole is inspired by an epic film or happening in the theatre which is home to this course. Very good value - as at March 2025 - £6 for over 60s, £7 for an adult - 10 holes.

Me and my nan loved this golf it’s fun for all ages. However the lighting was just to dark me Nan couldn’t always see the ball but I would go again

I remembered coming here myself as a child and loving this mini golf course it was always one of my favourites. I was so happy to be able to take my children and they too loved it and it was just as good as I remembered. Each room was so well thought out with superhero’s, dinosaurs, circus and beach themes. My children where mesmerised by every room and enjoyed wondering through while playing. It’s a great option to get out of the cold and enjoy some family time.

Visited while holidaying in Yarmouth. What a little gem of a place. Really cheap admission prices. Inside you're treated to a themed crazy golf course which is truly fantastic. Loads of historic poster's from year's gone by. We all loved it. Only slight quibble would be the 2 young girls in the ticket office who lacked any kind of enthusiasm (just scrolling through their phones).

We randomly found this place and had a great laugh. It was thankfully really quiet and we spent a good hour or so in there enjoying being not so good at golf! Yes the place probably needs a bit of heating, fresh air and a freshen up but it’s still really good to see an old building have its original features and be used for something so fun.

This golf was wacky and GREAT! We had such a fun time with the children, and the adults loved it too!! All the themes were fun and would definitely recommend. We will definitely be going again!

Now, THIS is awesome! The golf is okay, typical stuff with a few ‘novelty’ bits like a roulette wheel and so on but the real show here is what you see and hear. It’s an old theatre as far as I know and you meander your way round to different movie sets and music which is really really immersive! Bloody good fun.
