The Westin St. John Resort Villas is a beachfront property located on 47 acres along a beautiful white-sand beach. The resort offers one- to three-bedroom villas, with plans to convert hotel rooms into vacation villas. Guests can enjoy direct beach access, two restaurants, an outdoor pool, a spa, and sports courts. The well-maintained grounds are surrounded by lush tropical vegetation, providing a serene atmosphere for families or remote working groups.
Beautiful resort in St Johns. We loved our stay there. The beaches around the island are gorgeous. There are wild iguanas all around the resort. Grounds were kept clean and the pool was nice. Lots of amenities including pickleball, tennis, gym, and smoothies at the pool.

We arrived around 8 p.m. to a large property and were welcomed by a receptionist who was friendly and provided a clear explanation of the resort amenities. Our villa was spacious and clean, comfortably for four people. However, there was a noticeable, slightly odd smell when we entered, possibly from the washing machine or simply the age of the building.Parking was easy during our stay since there were few guests, but it could be challenging when the resort is busy. Because the property is so large, a car or golf cart service is essential for getting around. Our villa was conveniently located near a small pool, which we enjoyed. The kitchen was well equipped for anyone who wants to cook. Overall, it’s a roomy and well-equipped place for a relaxing stay, though the initial odor and potential parking issues are worth noting.

Beautiful resort with the pier attached. Highly recommend taking the Westin ferry. Can take back and forth as you wish during your stay. Service is 50/50…either amazing or super rude. Room was super nice but in need of an update. So much cool wildlife to see.
Jennifer M — Google review
St. John is 1 of the smaller virgin islands but so worth the visit. We are owners and this was our 1st visit here. Westin did not disappoint. From arrival to departure, I felt taken care of. The villa was amazing, comfortable, with stylish decor. The layout was a little off. Like you had to squeeze into spaces if you opened a door. Weird, but only a slight inconvenience. Shuttles are all across the property so you don't have to walk. Plus, you can call for 1 before you even leave your room or pick up a yellow phone to request 1. Everyone was nice. We were greeted on arrival to a nice rum punch cocktail. Non-alcoholic versions are available as well. Our luggage was delivered to our villa. We were checked in so quick. I've never gotten checked in without a "process" before. We asked for a resort tour around the property. It was nice.✅️ It may be cheaper to take the public ferry ⛴️ and all to the resort but I recommend going thru Westin. Iguanas 🦎 big and small love the island so brace yourself. 1 day, I even saw a stork. Gorgeous 😍 Deer are around too, but I'm used to them. 1 last tip. You have to take a taxi for almost any and everything because Cruz Bay is the closest town and not within walking distance. Probably not a safe walk either. The roads there are hilly, narrow, curvy, and I felt death was near every time 😂 Also, unless you are used to driving on the opposite side of the road, don't rent a car. Taxis are cheaper anyway. Or stay at the resort. You don't have to leave because they have everything. Unless you're a beach person. Taxis will take you. Westin has a wonderful pool but not a beach.

Absolutely the worst place I have ever stayed at and it all started with the horrendous staff and the check in. If you thought any other “island time” folks were slowing and uncaring, look no further than the Westin on St. John’s. I haven’t even left the property but thank goodness I’m checking out asap. Check in: guaranteed by 4pm. Was after 530pm we could get in and it’s during their non-season. None of the front desk workers provided any reasonable updates or do anything. No effort no care on their part at all. Next, the rooms and kitchen space just have generally horrible design. The power goes out at least twice per day, causing the AC to reset so it jacks up to 75 degrees at night and you have to go turn it down in the middle of your sleep. That’s fun. The parking lot is far too small when every rented car is a Jeep with the turning radius of a rhino. Finally, the staff - specifically front desk and the men driving the golf carts, are the worst I have ever encountered. They only are there to get you in trouble, they let other Jeeps drive all over but god forbid you move the Jeep a few spots closer temporarily to pack on check out day they freak out and try to write you a ticket. The golf cart people never offer to move any of their luggage or help at all, they just patrol doing nothing. I’ll never in a million years stay here again. The place flat out sucks and if you want to “explore” St John’s just take a ferry for half a day from St. Thomas. I’ll never go back. Also almost all the food on the island sucks too.
Vince Z — Google review
We enjoyed our stay here overall. The rooms could use a bit of updating, but they were comfortable and worked well for us and it was quiet. The service was great for the most part, though we were disappointed that the concierge we were assigned wasn’t available to welcome us and never responded to our email about restaurant reservations we booked through him. However the first shuttle driver we had, Neil, was amazing and we loved the welcome drinks they provided after we got off the ferry. One downside was that the on-site restaurants closed pretty early, and because our room was a bit far from the main activity areas, we often had to rely on the shuttle. It would be nice if they had some late night options past 9pm. That said, taxis were easy to access, and despite a few inconveniences, we had a good stay and enjoyed our time here.
Lea W — Google review
The Website is very old and is NOT representative. This is NOT a high end place. Its a beat up 3 star TIME SHARE condo. TV didnt work for 3 days and nobody came to fix. Asked every day. The service is really bad. Almost NO transportation. Not happy staff. You wait forever. The place is beat up. Remote area. Have to cab it to everywhere. Nothing walkable. I'd return to St John as will my group but NEVER would we stay here again. Being fair its a 6. Staff agreed that "understaffed" and everyone complains so transportation.

As a long time Marriott member this resort is a very big disappointment stay away! Just got here 1 day ago and can’t get out fast enough! Rooms are very small dated and dirty! The pool is green so much so the pool girl said she wouldn’t go in it! The overall cleanliness is terrible, outside furniture is old and worn, the grounds need repairs or ay the very least a good power washing. No sign of maintenance people anywhere! As soon as the Marriott customer service opens tomorrow I will be on the phone with them! I can’t say anything good about this place.

The Ritz-Carlton, St. Thomas is a luxurious beachfront hotel currently undergoing a $100 million renovation after being closed due to hurricane damage in 2017. The property will reopen in December with refreshed rooms and suites, new dining venues, and the return of its private luxury catamaran, Lady Lynsey II. Guests are currently staying at The Ritz-Carlton Club next door and are eagerly anticipating the full reopening.
We stayed at the Ritz condos. So nice. The food was very good and the pools. We also went on the Yacht for a sunset cruise. Highly recommend. It was very quiet when we went and was not over crowded in October for fall break last year. The staff was helpful. There was a large settlement of seaweed there but that was not their fault. We went snorkeling At st John and Virgin Islands so it wasn’t a big deal. The iguanas were funny.

I must say the service here was great and the food was decent. The rooms were spacious and the property felt safe. For this price point... the team here HAS to step up the cleanliness. Nothing in the room "felt" clean as many others have stated. I had my own Clorox wipes and wiped down as much as I could but for the price point that is absolutely ridiculous. Due to the rooms/linen not being clean I would recommend staying elsewhere. Good place to relax and getaway, but they dont seem to have any events or fun things going on on-site. Also there's a kids pool and a splash pad but most of the kids end up in the other pool... Would not stay at this location again. Step it up guys.

Lovely hotel and property- the staff went above and beyond for us during our stay making sure our anniversary/ honeymoon was extra special and all our needs were met. We utilized the excursions arranged by the hotel through Cruz Bay water sports and had a phenomenal time. The club lounge was an excellent value add and is highly recommended, even at the premium. The concierge was very helpful with reservations and went above and beyond giving us suggestions about the area and getting us into local restaurants at the last minute. The grounds are beautiful and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. Here.

Ok, the hotel does not live up to the Ritz Carlton standards. The facility was a little bit run down with cabinet doors made of composite wood were swollen at areas and peeling off. The bathtub in one of our 2 rooms had a very large crack. The bathroom sink caulking has mold (room 249 building F), the light feature fotlr make up was off, after complaint was replaced to break down again. The floors near the toilets were dirty, (stained). We saw 2 cockroaches ( I wont blame them for it, its the tropics after all). If you are hoing to book this hotel, I highly recommend a room with club access, this is like an all inclusive breakfast, lunch and dinner plus drinks and dessert all included while in the club. Not many restaurant options in the facility and their menus were limited. The service was exceptional. The club staff were amazing. Harrison was super friendly and certainly shows how much he loves his job. Overall a great experience, but not even near Ritz Carlton Level. The staff were very friendly with the room being refresed most night berofe going to bed.
William L — Google review
This was our families first experience with the Ritz-Carlton. The staff was extremely kind majority of the visit and made our honeymoon pleasant. The resort itself is beautiful. It was unfortunate we came during major renovations. I do wish there were more amenities for the price we paid, but overall the experience was positive.

From the moment we showed up, we were greeted with a big smile And great vibes from Johnny Who handled our luggage and set us up with the front desk to get checked in. The Summerwind coffee shop Aaliyah and her team were fantastic. One of the best parts of my days was Aaliyah’s big smile every morning with a great cup of coffee and attitude. Our friends wedding at the Ritz was remarkable incredible setting wonderful food and service with an outstanding bartender and DJ. The pool and beach were fantastic and I would highly recommend the Ritz Carlton St. Thomas to any friends and family. This place is a Gem

Excellent Club Level stay at the Ritz St. Thomas. Staff went above and beyond to make sure our trip was memorable. Immaculate rooms and grounds. Special thanks to Ruth (club level), JJ (club level), Patrick (front desk), and Dwayne (management) for 5 star treatment. Last but not least, a very special 'thank you' to Harrison at the Club Level for making our trip super special. Other Ritz Carlton Club Levels should use Harrison as their gold standard for providing exceptional service and customer care. Thanks again.

We recently stayed at the Ritz Carlton in St Thomas and it was an absolute delight! We stayed 5 nights. All of the staff members were incredibly kind and helpful. There was always someone there to greet us no matter what part of the resort we were on and they were always willing to help! We had several lengthy conversations with the staff about places to try, history of the area, etc., by the time we left we felt like we knew many of them. Bruce and Prince were fabulous, always professional and also entertaining when dropping us off or picking us up from our building. Kimora checked us in and was so sweet and welcoming! Honestly every person we encountered was accommodating, happy and helpful. The staff checked all the boxes for our expectations!! The concierge was able to book us the sunset cruise and that was a fun experience! We had breakfast at Bleuwater (on property) every morning, it was always delicious (I wish I could remember the server’s name she was so sweet!)! The rooms were spacious, beautiful, classy and very comfortable. The main building and lobby is just stunning! So many details all over this resort make it just such a treat to be there. I read some of the negative reviews before we went and now having stayed there I just can’t understand where any complaints come from. We travel often and have stayed at many resorts. This place was a dream!!

Nestled in St. Thomas, Secret Harbour Beach Resort offers a laid-back atmosphere with its beachfront location and array of amenities. The resort boasts an outdoor pool, gym, and water sports for guests to enjoy. With two on-site restaurants including the Sunset Grille, dining options are plentiful. Formerly part of Wyndham, the independent Sugar Bay Resort and Spa overlooks St. John and the British Virgin Islands from its bluff location.
We stayed for 7 nights in a beachfront 2 bedroom unit. Accommodations were super comfortable and well-stocked with everything we needed. The beach is absolutely beautiful and the reef is stunning. We spent hours snorkeling each day; the bay is calm and snorkeling is good for beginners or those more experienced. There are plenty of beach chairs and umbrellas and shady spots under the beautiful trees. The patio bar makes a delicious BBC, and the food was wonderful. Everyone we encountered was friendly and very helpful. We couldn’t have been happier with our experience. This was our second stay and we will be back.
Heather S — Google review
We ate lunch here and the food was amazing. Our waitress was great. The beachview on the patio was perfect and the menu offered lots of choices. The beach here was superb. The crowd had a nice share of families. The water was fairly clear and the beach was very clean. Chairs, umbrellas were all offered for a cost.
Sherika S — Google review
Great location, beach was great and house cleaning was fantastic. Lost all water pressure one night and ran out of hot water very fast every day. Room needed a new mattress. Restaurant was great.
Josh B — Google review
The views of the ocean and beach are absolutely stunning — definitely a highlight of the stay. The rooms are very nice and well-kept, making for a comfortable experience overall. The only downside was the service at the restaurant. While the food is great once it arrives, the wait time was over 45 minutes, which really took away from the experience. If they can improve the speed of service, this place would be nearly perfect.
Ben C — Google review
Absolutely loved our stay at Secret Harbour. I was there with my husband but we are already talking about bringing the kids back in a few years. Rooms were spacious and clean with a full kitchen and private patio. The beach was amazing with ample chairs and hammocks. The water was calm and perfect for snorkeling. We frequently ate/drank at the Patio- the food ranged from mediocre to great but the drinks were consistently fantastic. I could not recommend this hotel more!
Liz S — Google review
Our trip to Secret Harbour was great! The snorkeling was very fun and convenient off right off the shore. The restaurants were delicious, and you can't beat the views! We did run into a few snags with our room though. The water pump went out and we were without water for a day, and when it was turned back on it was very brown and dirty, and we had an issue with our deadbolt on our door. It locked and would not open back up, we were stuck in our room overnight. I brought up our issues with on reservation supervisor, and she did everything in her power to help us out, and gave us some restaurant credit for our troubles. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone visiting the island. It is stunning and the location is very close to Red Hook, where there are shops and restaurants, along with the ferry rides to St. John!
Joe K — Google review
The beach/location is fantastic. It was not overly crowded. There’s also a decent restaurant steps away. Our room was dated and had several issues. The toilet didn’t work except for every third flush. Our tv didn’t work most of the time, which wouldn’t be a big deal if it wasn’t playoff basketball. We also didn’t have water for part of our stay because of a pipe that burst. The room was very clean though. And the staff attempted to address our issues. Overall the accommodations were mid, but the view and beach were fantastic.
Dawn B — Google review
Posting approximately a month after our stay to ensure the validity of our statements and to not be emotional yet factual. We got married at Secret Harbour 6/14/25 and had 32 guests fly in! 16 of our guests stayed at the resort alongside my new husband and I. In booking our wedding, we realize the hotel & our planners are two separate entities. However, we were informed that we would be given upgrades for the fact we were having our wedding there and the amount of people that stayed using our code. We are still trying to understand where our upgrades were. Out of all our friends/couples, we the bride and groom, had the smallest room given to us. There was absolutely no space to do hair & make up for my mom & I in our tiny room. We had to use a friends room that had prime location on the beach. Maybe the room that should have been given to the bride & groom? We don’t like to complain so we dealt with it. Thought maybe a bottle of champagne in our room or something on our wedding day… absolutely nothing. Except! The ceiling did start leaking on our wedding night. We informed the front desk and on our last full day they asked us if we wanted to pack up and move rooms for the last night before checking out in the morning. Appreciate the offer, however, spending our last full day after our wedding shuffling rooms was not ideal. We declined and had to walk around puddles in our room that was already small as is. Nishema was the only kind employee at the front desk. The older woman was very rude and blamed problems on us. Including a taxi driver that drove my solo sister to a dangerous location, she said my sister took the wrong taxi and yelled at me. However the driver said the location my sister was supposed to go to, therefore she took the correct taxi. In attempting to speak to her, as mentioned she simply yelled at me. Which was unacceptable. Nishema always had a smile on her face and was so helpful with any questions. We really appreciated her. The very first night, there were no working toilets on the property for approximately 6-7 hours. That was a little rough and unexpected. This could happen anywhere and does not reflect the rating, simply mentioning it. The beach hut was nice and the men that staffed that were kind & helpful. It was nice exchanging wet towels when needed and grabbing cold water bottles. Sunset grille saved the trip as the food was delicious. We enjoyed many of the appetizers at the patio, the pizza and salads were great. Again, we understand the wedding planners and resort are separate entities, however very displeased with the resort. We were emailed approximately a week after we left regarding the leaking ceiling and offered a free 2 night stay. That was nice but simply did not make up for our situation in which we brought 16 guests to the resort and had zero wedding upgrades provided. We LOVE the island and will be returning to celebrate future anniversaries, however, that will never be at Secret Harbour, which is a real shame and makes us very sad.

We loved Bolongo Bay Resort! Every staff member was welcoming and helpful! It being our first time on the island we had many questions and the staff was incredibly helpful and got many things set up for us! The rooms were clean all the common areas were clean! We also wanted to say we really enjoyed Tim’s Tours!!! Tim was super great at sharing history and information about the island on our day trips around! We’re already looking forward to going again in the future and highly recommend Bolongo Bay to anyone!!!

Bolongo bay may be the most caring resort I’ve ever stayed at. I got the all inclusive plan which comes with a cute gold wristband, as long as you have that on they’ll let you do anything you want (within reason). By the second day I was at the resort the bartenders and service staff had my name memorized. Bolongo was the perfect retreat for me, I came in and immediately felt at home as there are so many animals on the premises! In just 4 days I was able to see birds I’ve never seen before, a bunch of lizards and iguanas (some have names), and of course cute cats. Whether you’re looking for a family trip, a solo retreat, friendly bartenders, amazing rooms, or a wonderful beach front location - then you may be in luck if you can get a booking at Bolongo! A lively location even during their off season :)

We had the best stay here! Beautiful area. There is so much to do within the resort and out of it. The vibe is low-key and relaxing. The food was fantastic, we were so full the whole trip. The rooms are fine, we actually got the best sleep we ever had compared to other hotel beds. The concierge guy was so nice and fun to talk to. We will definitely be coming back.

I absolutely had the most amazing time! Super great food and drinks bartenders couldn’t ask for better ! The food we never went hungry and was every time cooked to perfection! I’ll be back and 007 had a smile on our faces and cold drink in our hands without asking ! It was my first trip and will definitely many more to come. Thank all you guys and lady’s for the hospitality and hard work put into our stay. Thank you all !!!!
Dusty W — Google review
We had a GREAT time. The service and food are top notch; we couldn't wait to taste what the chef cooked up every day. The resort is beautiful and somewhat tucked away giving you a cozy feel of a little private slice of heaven. Most everyone there is SUPER accommodating and the staff is genuinely interested in your enjoyment and comfort. I will say that the beds are a bit hard, the linens are rough on your skin (as well as the towels) and there were a bunch of flying biting insects in our room. Even with those small inconveniences WE HAD AN AMAZING time.
Sheron S — Google review
The resort has a cozy family vibe. The rooms are older but very clean. The food is outstanding and everyone is super friendly. It is in a great spot if you want to do some sight seeing. The best All Inclusive for the price. We will definitely be back.

I can’t rave about this place enough!! Amazing staff who really care about your stay, the owners are so sweet and I love that it’s family owned (shout out to David!!). The drinks and food were amazing too - as someone with pretty significant food restrictions I was able to eat almost everything on the menu because they were so willing to modify it all!! I came in with a lot of burnout and after a 5 day stay I felt so much better. Can’t rec highly enough. We will be back!!

Wish I could give more than 5 stars! Our stay at Bolongo Bay Beach Resort was nothing short of phenomenal. Rooms are outdated but who stays in their room during vacation. That did not hinder the experience. The level of customer service truly exceeded expectations from start to finish. Even though the beach was temporarily overrun with ocean grass and some excursions were canceled, the resort didn’t miss a beat. They went above and beyond by offering free transportation to neighboring beaches, ensuring we still had plenty of sun, sand, and fun. Special shout-outs are well deserved: • Nicole in the gift shop – thank you for your warmth and kindness. • 007 and Rocky at the bar – you two kept the good vibes flowing with your amazing drinks and energy. • Amanda and Kenisha in the restaurant – your service was exceptional, and every meal felt like a treat. To everyone at Bolongo Bay: thank you for making this vacation unforgettable. We’re already counting down the days until we return to St. Thomas in 2026! 🌴💙

Marriott's Frenchman's Cove is an upscale beachfront resort with a poolside restaurant/bar, infinity pool, and gym. The resort offers 221 rooms and villas, making it perfect for family vacations and group getaways. Guests can enjoy activities such as snorkel tours, night kayaking, and sunset cruises arranged by the on-site tour desk. The property features a beautiful beach that is not easily accessible to non-guests due to its location within the Marriott Hotel.
Only 15-20 min drive from the airport, it is easy to get to and you go by the main city center Charlotte Amalie. Be prepared to drive on the left side of the road, but drivers side in the car is on the left like the U.S. Beautiful views from the rooms here with a nice pool area. Beach is smaller but very nice and you can snorkel off the beach. It is on a hillside so a lot of elevator access getting up and down the resort. Convenient location to get to the Red Hook area where you pick up the ferries to go to St. Johns. Highly recommend hitting some of the incredible beaches over there!

Very quiet, secluded beach, convenient to several places. Not the fault of the resort but taxi fares on the island are not good, it would be worth doing a cost/benefit for a rental. Resort has nice parking as well.

The perfect place for a holiday. The property is well laid out, the welcome very friendly and the service impressive. The hotel has its own private beach and swimming pool to help you relax and unwind. The bakery and the restaurant on the property is good enough to take care of your food and drinking needs. It is better to rent a car to go around the island and also to visit the market places and restaurants. Simply in love with this Marriott property.

Great condos..... but expect to take a water or land taxi everywhere. The proprety outside of the resort is not walkable. We loved XCEL LIMO service owned by Nancy McBean. Our condo was complete with full kitchen and nicely stocked. Only one complaint.... steak knives need to be sharpend. Another great week..... very happy with Marriott Vacation Club.... we have had great experiences over all.

We stayed at this hotel 7/5/25-7/8/25. We had the best experience. The staff is very accommodating, very helpful, and everyone was so nice. This was our first trip to St. Thomas and the staff made our stay so much easier. It definitely will not be our last time to visit. The room was spacious and clean. On the day the room was cleaned everything was restocked from the washing powder to the beach towels. The pool area is beautiful, with direct beach access. There is only one restaurant on the grounds, but the food was good. (We ate there three times). You can take the complementary shuttle between the other two sister hotels next door and patronize the other restaurants. Thank you Marriott staff for helping to make our stay memorable. Special thanks to the concierge service, and Mr. Marvin.

The resort is beautiful. Couldn't ask for better views. Infinity edge pool over looking the ocean was a highlight, the beach was wonderful and watching cruise ships come into Port was great. Onsite restaurant was a total let down. Good was consistently way over cooked and there were limited options. If you have resort credit to burn be careful, we felt handcuffed because of the amount of resort credit we had. Can only use it at the restaurant and the on-site market. Just got illustration purposes, 1 packet of crystal light mix for a 16 oz water is $3. That's 1 packet. Just keep your eyes open when shopping. Other than that, the resort is awesome. We really enjoyed our stay and the views.

Our stay at The Marriott Frenchman's Cove in St. Thomas was excellent. The rooms are beautiful and very clean, and the quality of service from the staff was excellent—everyone was so friendly and accommodating starting with Adelle at checkin. The pool area is is very nice with beautiful views of the bay, and the beachfront is equally beautiful and well-maintained. It's a truly wonderful place to relax and enjoy the scenery.

Luxurious when it counts. Nice resort. Cool staff. Lots of fun activities and treats. Beautiful views from the balconies. Amazing spa. Definitely treat yourself to a message. Shuttle service to the sister property is helpful to get food and visit the private beach.

Gallows Point Resort is a luxurious hotel located on a stunning five-acre peninsula that extends into the Caribbean Sea. The resort offers spacious one-bedroom suites with modern amenities such as free Wi-Fi, full kitchens, private balconies, and separate living areas. Guests can unwind by the outdoor pool or participate in yoga classes on the terrace. An outdoor barbecue area and an on-site restaurant are also available for guests' convenience.
Great resort, very friendly staff! I look forward to my next trip to StJohn and I will definitely be looking to stay at Gallows Point Resort. It was very clean and well kept. We enjoyed the proximity to downtown and the shuttle service. The staff is very accommodating and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. Highly recommend.

The location is great right on the water and close to downtown. The rooms are in a major need of upgrading. The water was not working this morning. Not good for the amount of $ they charge. The property is nicely manicured and you can swim right off the property. There is a constant stream of boating activity to watch also

This was our 2nd time staying at Gallows Point and it’s just as good as we remembered. The rooms are amazing, views are the best on the island, and you can walk to everything you need. Highly recommend and we’re already planning our 3rd stay.

One of our favorite places to stay!! Clean units, great amenities and fabulous customer service. Every room we have stayed in offers a great view. Love the store being on site for last minute groceries!! The offer a shuttle if you bring a lot of luggage and need help from the ferry. The location is absolutely perfect! This is our 5th year staying here and will be back again next year!!

Unfortunately I have to leave the following honest review of Gallows Point. We booked Gallows point resort for 5 Days in August. We were excited to stay here after reading a lot of the other reviews. Upon checking in at 3 pm (check in time) we were told that our room was not ready yet due to som issues with the bathroom. We waited for an hour in the lobby in the sweltering heat until we were moved to a different room because the issue was still going on. Upon checking into the new room (4B) the smell of chemicals and cleaner was so strong we had to open all windows and leave the room for 3 hours while it aired out. The smell made both my wife and I ill. We waited by the pool for 2 hours, then went back to the room to try to get ready for our 630 dinner reservation at 1864 (which was absolutely amazing!) When we arrived back to the room it still smelled so we had to then shower and get ready in a room where the temperature was now over 90 degrees due to us having to have the windows open to air it out. The rooms are ok, the furniture def needs an upgrade in the living room but that wasn’t an issue, we could live with that. I will say the ONE positive thing was that when we got back from dinner and were able to shut the windows and turn on the AC, the AC was the best AC we experienced on our 14 day trip. Here’s where the nightmare really begins. We arrive home from dinner and rinse off and get ready to go to bed. Upon laying down on the mattress, we both knew were were in for a long night. The mattress was the worst mattress I’ve ever slept on and has to be at least 20 years old. It was awful. There was also an extremely bright light outside (resort light) that we had no way to block out or turn off. (Imagine trying to sleep in a tanning bed with the lights on and on your Grandmothers mattress). So my wife tossed and turned for a couple hours. You would think it couldn’t get any worse right? WRONG! Around 2am a loud beeping noise starts outside of our room and continues until 7am where we found out that this was due to something wrong with the sewer. This was the absolute worst night of sleep I have ever attempted, worse then sleeping on the floor of an airport overnight, worse then camping in sub zero weather, pure torture. At 7am we exit our room to see the workers. They apologized for the intrusion and began working on the sewer equipment to clear some sort of clog that the alarm was notifying them off. I carried all our our luggage to the front desk, explained that we would be checking out and moving to a new hotel due to the torturous night we experienced here. The lady at the front desk was very apologetic and nice and we were on our way. One week later I checked the hotel bill and noticed we did not receive any type of refund for the remaining nights that we did not stay there. I contacted the front office thinking this must be some kind of oversight. I figured it would be worked out easily and we could move on. WRONG. Apparently it states “ No refunds for early departures will be issued.” listed in the cancelation policy. So I’m being charged $2000,00 because I refused to endure 4 more continued nights of torture at their resort. This place is an absolute scam, DO NOT STAY here. In the end, even if they would have told me upon checking out that I wasn’t going to get my money back, I still would have left and made the same decision I did because no one should have to endure the type of torture you will endure if you choose to try to get some rest at this resort. I’ll be contacting my credit card company and reporting this scam. What a wonderful way to spend our anniversary. Do check out the wharfside village. It’s a lovely hotel

First off, I am normally someone who never writes reviews. Secondly, I am someone who never vacations in the same place twice, but Gallows Point Resort may have just changed my mind! The island is beautiful and relaxed, and Gallows Point Resort reflects that. From the moment we got there, hospitality was unmatched. Everyone was kind, friendly, and accommodating, picking us and our luggage up from the dock. The property is well-maintained, clean, quiet, and peaceful. The pool area is just what I needed- clean and spacious, with enough shade from the umbrellas, with many adjacent poolside chairs and a hot tub. Not to mention, the resort is directly on the water, so alongside the pool and lower deck/platform area is its own "pier" with snorkeling opportunities from the hotel itself! The location of the resort was also great- we were able to walk easily to nearby restaurants and shops without an issue, didn't rent a car at all. For the times where we wanted to go further inland, the resort was able to help us call reputable taxis, so we never worried about our safety. Our first night there, we ate at their on-site restaurant Ocean 362, with a beautiful sunset view. I'm from NYC (so I never have high expectations of any food while vacationing), but their rack of lamb is one of the best tasting meals I've ever had. THIS is your sign to book Gallows Point Resort! And if you need more convincing, here is a picture of our view from the balcony!!

Emerald Beach Resort is a laid-back oceanfront property in St. Thomas, offering stunning views of the beach and the ocean. The resort features 90 rooms with modern amenities and all-inclusive packages that include water sports activities such as jet skis, snorkeling gear, paddle boats, and kayaks. Guests can enjoy Caribbean cuisine at the on-site restaurant and take advantage of special dine and play rates that include food and beverage credits.
This will be a go to of ours when we are in St Thomas on a cruise, if nothing else is planned. Great beach, great chair prices, great ber bucket prices and great service. I think Sammy was the man that helped with chairs and other info. He was friendly and hard working. Thanks.

Emerald Beach resort. It was a beautiful place. The only thing I did not like the restaurant does not take cash only credit card. The buyer takes cash. I had a lot of money to spend. I did not feel comfortable sitting at the bar eating. I wanted to sit at the restaurant. I would go back, but everything else was excellent. The service at the restaurant needs to be a little bit better. They ignored me. But I would it was that convenient location. The beach was right there, 75 feet away from the building. The water was beautiful bathwater

This is not the most modern hotel, but is budget friendly and clean. Our room was right on the beach, the beach is great with fantastic area to swim. Great drinks (Pain Killers) and local food. My wife and I thought this was the perfect location where the locals come at night and is less crowded atmosphere than other locations. We will stay here again on our next visit.
Joe E — Google review
Went for a quick weekend getaway and overall, Emerald was a decent choice. It’s a budget-friendly hotel right on the beach, though a bit dated. The lobby staff was friendly, and the restaurant offered solid food options. My only gripe was the automatic 20% gratuity, which was even added to takeout orders. The room itself was clean, with strong AC and reliable Wi-Fi, but the fixtures showed rust and the walls were very thin—you could hear just about everything from next door. I was hoping for a relaxing beach atmosphere, but the hotel played loud music all day, turning the vibe into more of a beach club (you could even hear it 200 yards out in the water). If you’re looking for affordable, convenient beach access close to the airport, this works. Just go in expecting more of a “Club Ramada” experience than a laid-back beach retreat.

We actually did not stay there . We are at the sister property Lindbergh Bay which should be avoided at all costs. Our pool turned green so they were nice enough to let my son and I use their pool. Lisa at the front desk was very accommodating and nice and they made a very unpleasant stay at our “hotel” so much better. We can’t thank them enough. We really wish we had known before we booked but I guess live and learn the hard way.

The staff was very friendly and attentive at this resort. The amenities are outdated and worn out. Our room was okay, the door would constantly slide closed and the AC was weak. The location is right on the beach and close to the airport, so very convenient. The bar and restaurant were overpriced, but nice staff. Overall, the resort just needs some renovation. Staff and location were great!

This is a great place on St. Thomas, just outside the airport. Rooms are right on the beach, so sleeping to the gentle waves was awesome. (Note that very quiet a/c units contributed to that peace.) Food was great, drinks flowed easily and the views were perfect. There are plenty of toys to play with, including jet skis and a water playground for the kids. I was here in business, but the stay was vacation-like and very relaxing.

Point Pleasant Resort is a stunning vacation destination located on the East End of Saint Thomas VI. The resort offers breathtaking views of the Caribbean Sea, local islands, and beautiful beaches. Guests can enjoy the wrap-around balcony that provides 180-degree views and cool Caribbean breezes. The resort features hilltop suites with eagle's-eye views, as well as sea-level junior suites with soothing sounds of lapping waves.
The resort is very beautiful and has many nice rooms. The one thing to know is that the rooms are privately owned and the properties are managed by the resort. With this being said, make sure to look into which room you are booking as some are better taken care of than others as it is the private owners responsibility for the upkeep of the rooms (repairs, refurbishment, upgrades, etc.) not the resort itself. The resort manages the overall property as well as the cleaning of the rooms. The resort has 24/7 security and a great staff! They allowed us to check in a few hours early and made sure to help with finding the room and getting our luggage in. The bellman, Norman, is an awesome guy and was so welcoming! He recommended several spots to us, took us up to our room and even gave us a ride up to the door in his own vehicle(some of the roads are tight so he had us park our rental in the nearby parking area) and brought our luggage in for us! This place is a great price for everything that you get, especially compared to other nearby locations. Room service is on an as requested basis, and you just have to go to the main office for fresh towels and linens or call, and they will bring them to your room. The property has great views but is very vertical as it is on a hill (which is why you have such great views), which means there are a lot of steps if you want to walk down to the bar and grill or the small private beach and back if you have a hilltop villa. As long as you are in decent shape, you will be fine. Also, there are several parking areas so you can drive down to a lower parking area and have a much shorter walk. Overall, my wife and I could not be happier with the suite and the experience with the resort staff. As long as you research and choose a well maintained/upgraded room and are willing to do a little up and down walking(or driving), you will have an awesome experience!

The location and views are excellent. The one-bedroom units are approximately 500 square feet and include a large terrace. The property is conveniently located near most beaches; Lindquist Beach is about a four-minute drive away with 7 dollars entrance fee for adults and 2 dollars parking, Coki beach is walkable but better if you drive and pay 5 dollars parking. Rooms are not cleaned daily but can be serviced upon request. The unit was equipped with everything necessary, although the kitchen and utensils were somewhat outdated. Service is minimal, limited mainly to a staff member who opens the gate for guests.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a week. Our experience was outstanding. The service here is top notch, from the front desk to the security team and shuttle drivers, but especially the staff at the two restaurants on the property. Our condo was clean and updated. I especially enjoyed some of the cats on the property, Ferdinand was the light of our trip. We will be back.

We stayed in B7 and it was beautiful. You can’t beat waking up to that view every day. Rooms were very clean and well kept. I do wish they had some lounge chairs on the deck - or at least another Adirondack chair so 2 can sit together. The man made beach is a bit rocky and very small, but Coki beach is walking distance and that was amazing! We loved the food and service at Sun & Sea bar as well (so much better than Margaritaville next door). Overall a fabulous first experience in St. Thomas!

My friend and I stayed here for 6 days and we loved it! They have 3 pools around the resort and 2 places to eat. It’s located in a bay/cove so the views were great. The hotel staff were so kind and friendly. Shoutout to Norman, who shuttled us from our room to the lobby multiple times, as the resort is hilly. He is a great man and it was a pleasure to meet him and get to know him. The staff delivered toiletries, towels, and sheets to the room as needed when you called and requested it. They even give you a list of taxi companies to call when you want to leave the resort and go to beaches/restaurants/shopping/etc. The taxis are cash only so definitely bring a lot of cash. Overall we would recommend this resort to a friend/family who wants to vacation to st Thomas. The resort was clean as well. They did not have a beach on the property, but a local beach called Coki beach is a 5-10min walk away. It was a great week staying at point pleasant resort, and will definitely miss it!!

Point Pleasant is a great place to stay in St Thomas! The villas have a beautiful view and are very clean. The staff there is also very nice! The location was also amazing. You are about 7 mins away from redhook which is where a lot of excursions and restaurants are. Even if you don’t want to venture out, the resort has some pretty nice restaurants and 3 pools. Margaritaville is a short walk away if you want to go somewhere else and don’t want to drive. Coki beach is also walking distance. Overall, would definitely recommend staying here!

Nestled on the waterfront of St. Croix, Divi Carina Bay Resort & Casino has recently undergone a major renovation and is now an adult-only all-inclusive resort. Guests can enjoy the on-site casino, two pools, beach lounging, and water sports. The resort offers various dining options including American cuisine, Italian fare, wood-fired pizzas, and gourmet coffee and pastries.
Overall I give this a 4 out of 5. Our room was clean and comfy…view was amazing and the maid service was great! The hotel itself was exactly what you would expect from a small island (at least for me anyways) the food wasn’t bad and the entertainment was great daily! The only downside to this hotel is the smell of decaying sargassum HOWEVER it seems to only linger in the parking lot and stairwells. You don’t smell it in your room, by the pool, the bar or in the cafe. At least that was our experience. Although the casino is small, there are tables for card games and plenty of slot machines.
Nicole G — Google review
Nice Resort, but the beach is a big letdown. Divi Carina Bay has some great things going for it. The staff is very kind and always tries their best to make your stay pleasant. The food is very good, and with three restaurants on-site, there is a nice variety to choose from. The rooms are just okay -not bad, but nothing special. Unfortunately the beach is a major issue. It's currently covered in seaweed, and the smell is strong and unpleasant. You can't even relax near the beach, which really affects the overall experience. I was told the seaweed usually lasts until October, so if you are planning a trip before then, it's something to seriously consider. This could be a lovely spot , but until the beach situation is addressed, it's not the best option for a beach getaway.

DON’T BOOK IF YOU HAVE BEEN TO OTHER ALL-INCLUSIVE… you will be disappointed. We staid here 4 nights for our honeymoon. Started off great! They let us check in an hour and half early which was amazing. Most of the bartenders we encountered were amazing! Good pours of liquor and nice. The first night we were there we had a female (can’t remember her name. She had shoulder length black straight hair) but she ignored us for 7 minutes. Finally she came over and just looked at us until we stated what we wanted. After about 5 hours of being there she finally started to warm up to us and had small conversations with us. Fast forward to about 7:30pm, we went to the dinner buffet. They had a sign up that said “steaks made to order” my husband asked for a medium rare steak and the lady standing behind the grill said “oh that’s for tomorrow” then took the sign down. The next night the sign wasn’t up but my husband asked for a steak and the lady standing behind the grill this night told us that steaks were the night before. So moral of the story, the lady from the previous night was lazy and didn’t want to do her job. Same night we had a skinny male with long hair that would get our drinks for dinner. He was very rude! He would just come up and say “what do you want”? The next morning after our bad dinning experience we tried to get a drink from the coffee shop and the same guy was working. We stood at the counter for 5 minutes. He looked at us then turned his back while he was making something. Didn’t say “I’ll be with you in a sec” or anything just ignored us. Also the buffet dinning area has 4 AC units in the room.. not one is turned on. All the guest are fighting over two small fans in the dining room. So enjoy being drenched in your sweat while trying to eat. They refuse to turn it on because the employees are use to the heat. The only “nice” restaurant on the resort is closed and has been for a while due to maintenance but we never saw anybody in there working to get it fixed. The bar in the lobby is supposed to be open but it’s not. There’s not bartenders there ever unless it’s storming and they have to shut down the pool side bar. There’s coffee shop has very limited muffin and cookies. They bartenders shut the pool side bar down early because they want to go home. It says they stay open till 11pm….every night we were there they did last call at 10:15. The made to order food at the pool side bar is highly suggested over the buffet. THEY ARE THERE TO MAKE THE GUEST COMFORTABLE! but at this resort that’s not the case. The beach is very dirty every day. We also got eaten by sand flies. They cleaned it one time while we were there. The pool only got cleaned one day we were there. They give you a paper with activities they have scheduled for each day…..most of the activities did not happen. The room was decent. Luckily the AC worked amazing in our room. It seems like they never fully clean the shower. The drain clogged bad the first night there and almost over flowed. My husband had to pull the cover to the drain up clear the drain. Looked like it had been gunked up for a few stays before us.

Overall the resort was nice with a great room and even better view. Our total star count was only 3 as we were disappointed in what was actually offered at the resort vs what was offered on their website. The bar/ restaurant in the casino was closed, the Italian restaurant was closed, villa pool was closed, mini golf hours were limited, and longitude bar was closed. The coffee shop/gift shop closed daily at 12pm. We were told this was due to it being off season, but it would have been nice to know prior to going that all would not be offered as we spent a lot of money for our trip and did not get all the amenities.

My family traveled to this location at the end of June beginning of July. Prior to writing this review, I looked at some of the other comments and would say those negative reviews are absolutely correct. We decided to try this location for a vacation due to it being within the United States and for the amazing snorkeling on the island. We settled on this hotel because it was an all inclusive, and not having to worry about anything. That being said, most of the staff absolutely views you as an inconvenience to them. Half the time they would be standing around talking to each other so I would have to insert myself into their conversation just to get some service after which they would roll their eyes and respond rudely. Multiple times I looked over at my family and made the comment that I had never been somewhere on a vacation and made to feel like I was inconveniencing them and not wanted. My whole family agreed. At one point I was sitting at the bar with my family, waiting to order and observed the two bartenders on the far side of the bar talking with some young female patrons instead of serving the rest of the bar. Multiple people were getting frustrated and made comments out loud about how terrible the service was. The hotel has one dining area for breakfast lunch and dinner which is a buffet style and about the quality you would expect for a school lunch. They do have a nicer Italian restaurant which you have to make a reservation for and is only open twice a week for dinner. We set up two reservations and the first time we went it was amazing and met my expectations of an all inclusive resort at the price point we paid. The second reservation was our last night at the hotel. My wife and I got dressed up and walked to the front doors of the restaurant and found that they were locked with a sign saying they had canceled dinner that night with no prior warnings or notifications made. We then sat at the bar by the pool and watched as multiple other couples had gotten dressed up and walked to the front door like us just to read a sign saying they had closed the restaurant turning away in disgust. Just like stated on other reviews, they have events and crafts, but you never know if it’s actually going to happen. At one point, we waited around for 30 minutes and nobody came so we went to the front desk where they then informed us that it had been canceled. I could go on about the negative experiences to include a bartender, literally raising his voice at me when I’m trying to get his attention for a drink. The same bartender would roll their eyes whenever you ordered something they didn’t want to make and then try to convince you to get something else that was easier. Depending on the bartender you would never know what drinks you could actually order and they could make. The beach was completely covered with sea weed to the point it was almost unusable and made the whole place smell! By the end of our trip they started to remove some of it but never removed it all. It was impossible to swim. That being said there were some great people we did meet. We were there for over a week and there are several bartenders that were truly amazing! One of them was newer and learning the ropes but did everything he could to help everybody. The cook at the grill was also incredible. He knew what he was doing and half the time we would eat lunch and dinner at the grill due to the restaurant kitchen being so bad. Even the room service was bad. At one point we had to go to the front desk for toilet paper and towels because they never replaced them! To top it all off there was a loud group that showed up and was screaming all night and even tried to get into our room with the hotel doing nothing about it. Also there seemed to be trash everywhere! And finally, we literally had no hot water in the room for showers the entire trip! The island itself is incredible and as you can see in pictures it’s gorgeous, but, I would stay away from this hotel unless they make some major changes!

I won't rehash all the prior reviews except to say that the staff are wonderful. Patient, friendly, professional and kindhearted. They deserve a better workplace and guests deserve a better maintained property. The staff tried hard to overcome every misgivings with class and grace, I can tell they are proud of the hotel and like their job. MANAGEMENT... repair the ac where food is prepared and served. Our hostess had to moved a floor fan to increase our comfort. My room was so damp puddles formed on the floor. housekeeping brought in a dehumidifier but it broke. Maintain the property...no cheap updates. Please help your staff and yourselfs.

Disappointing Service & False Promises at an All-Inclusive resort. The staff’s hospitality is surface-level friendly until you actually need something. Then, they become dismissive, unhelpful, and often outright hostile, as if guests are an inconvenience rather than the reason the resort exists. Unprofessional & Unhygienic Service Louisa, the pool bartender, was a standout disappointment consistently rude, visibly miserable, and shockingly unprofessional. Watching her handle limes with her bare hands (long nails included) was appalling. Is a basic lime squeezer too much to ask for at an all-inclusive resort? Incompetence & Misinformation - The front desk insisted the bar closed at 11 PM, yet it shut down at 10:30 PM every night without exception. - Our package promised water sports, yet nothing was available upon arrival. No alternatives were offered, even though seaweed made the beach unusable. - We were told the pool opened at 6 AM, but staff failed to mention no entry was allowed until 10 AM due to maintenance. Half-Hearted Service & Lack of Effort At the coffee bar, we ordered an iced cappuccino only to receive a hot one. Instead of remaking it properly (with frothed milk), the barista poured the hot drink over ice and called it fixed. Should we really have to beg three times for a simple order to be correct? No Guidance or Local Knowledge Even when we explicitly asked for recommendations—beaches, restaurants, anything and emphasized we had a rental car and were willing to drive, staff had absolutely nothing to offer. An "Adult" Resort That Shuts Down at 10:30 PM?For a resort marketed as an all-inclusive adult experience, closing the bar and all amenities by 10:30 PM is unacceptable. Where was the vibrant nightlife or even basic late-night options? Final Thoughts This was not the premium, stress-free vacation we paid for. Between the unprofessional staff, misleading information, and complete lack of effort, we left feeling frustrated and cheated. Save your money this resort does not deliver on its promises.

We just left yesterday. We was there for 5 days. Front desk staff was clueless about everything but at this point its too late to get a refund. 1st there's nothing to do and don't be deceived everything is fake. 2 places to eat but thr grill by the 1 pool serves the same thing everyday. But they want tips!!! The taxi was $90 for the 3 of us and they charge $5 per bag now don't you think everyone flying in has a bag what a rip On top of that if u want to go in town we paid $14 per person since we was with another family. You to and from town really and think you have paid alot to visit. Horrible those taxi guys own their own. Taxis so they are ripping off tourist daily. The things that they had sucked big time . The grill area takes a long time to get your food . You would think that the hotel would make a deal with the taxis for the guest and I don't know if they are giving a piece of the fares but I doubt it. We got stranded in town and didn't know if they driver was going to picked us up then he yelled at the people we was with his name is Francis. They be nice till they get paid . The resort people all they say is sorry but they already got your money So I want everyone to know what's happening at that resort. They don't offer no other ride options. Please spend your hard working money somewhere where its something to do and where you don't have spend all your dam money on taxis.fyi it cost us $75 for 3 to get to airport. Beware beware

Sapphire Beach Condominium Resort is an old-school resort located on the half-mile white sands of Sapphire Beach in St. Thomas. It offers individually-owned condos with various amenities, making it a great option for a family vacation. The resort provides everything needed for an exclusive and all-inclusive experience, including a yacht harbor, beach activities like kayaking and snorkeling, as well as motorized water sports such as parasailing and jet skiing.
My one-night stay at Sapphire Beach Condominium Resort was absolutely incredible! Booked through Airbnb, this place exceeded all expectations. The condo was spotless, modern, and had breathtaking marina / ocean views right from the balcony—perfect for catching the sunrise. The location is unbeatable, just steps from the pristine Sapphire Beach, with soft sand and crystal-clear waters ideal for a quick dip or snorkeling. The resort amenities, like the pool and nearby restaurants, shopping, etc in red hook added nice convenience and charm. The check-in process was seamless, and the host was super responsive, making my short stay stress-free and relaxing. I can’t wait to return for a longer visit—this place is a true Caribbean gem!

Absolutely beautiful views! Pool is amazing and well kept. Condo was well kept and had everything we needed and more. We had a power outage but we just enjoyed the pool and ordered pizza. Highly recommend!
Janice G — Google review
Im being kind, the condo is a bit tired. The beach is nice, the rest of the grounds, not nice at all. We are 3 buildings away from the food/bar approximately 900 feet. There has been live music twice so far, it's so loud I can feel the bass running through me. It's not like they're catering to the 20 something crowed, most of the guests are late 40's to 60's. The food is okay, similar to many of the restaurants here, nothing to brag about. We've been to St. Thomas several times, will definitely go back to Secret Harbour next time.

The rooms are clean but in serious need of remodeling. The beach is fantastic with 3 small places to get food and drinks and 1 very overpriced dinner restaurant. We had rust around plumbing and cracks in walls and ceilings so don't expect much from the rooms. The staff is super friendly, maids come every other day, snorkel equipment and beach towels provided at the office. Also a laundry room is on site. We loved the pool, snorkeling in Sapphire Beach, watching the iguanas and just chilling on our balcony. I am only giving it a 3 because of the rooms.
Jean S — Google review
Sapphire Beach Resort really has it all!! From breakfast and coffee, to drinks and lunch/casual dinner, to upscale dining, everything is at your fingertips. We especially enjoyed all the iguanas, small lizards, cats, and chickens that roam about. Being able to walk out our patio right onto the beach was the highlight of the trip! Building A is perfectly situated near everything, and allowed us to easily come and go from our unit when we needed to grab some water, a snack, use the restroom, or take a break on our patio. Do note that each unit is individually owned, and some are much better than others! We rented units in Building D and C that we left immediately due to mold and terrible musty/mildew smells. Some of the property does have some wear and tear, but overall we were very happy with our stay (after the first two units) and hope to come back.

One of the few condo style resorts with an amazing sand beach and great snorkeling right off the beach. Several beach bar style restaurants on the premises with absolutely amazing food. I have to say the food has been far beyond expectations. We have had some of the best meals here.
Roger K — Google review
The resort is old and tired. The front security was nice and the resort feels safe. The high end restaurant and the bar restaurant are both decent food wise. Service at the bar is not friendly but efficient. Speaking of the rooms, A203 was pretty run down and shabby but it was mostly clean. You can see fireworks over in St John on the 4rh of July from the deck. The pool itself is decent although a little cold and close to the sargassum that accumulates by the marina so a little stinky. The area has a lot of potential because there’s a big shade area and an old bar but it’s run down and dilapidated and no longer functioning. The Marina area has a laundry room and the washers and dryers were in working order. Staff at the marina was nice. The grounds are just plain shabby. No other way to put it. I bet this was a nice place in the heyday but those days are long gone.

Second time staying here. This time for a month. Very close to everything you need and all of the staff are friendly and helpful. One tip, in the Virgin Islands it is customary to great everyone with a pleasantry. Good morning, good afternoon, how are you doing, etc. will go a long way towards making you stay more enjoyable.

Carambola Beach Resort in St. Croix, US Virgin Islands is a luxurious property with well-appointed suites, a private beach, and an outdoor pool. The resort's proximity to iconic attractions like Annaly Beach and Carambola Tide Pools makes it an ideal tropical getaway. Families can take advantage of the kids' club and enjoy activities such as sandcastle contests and dive-in movies.
We were there 9/18/25 - 9/22/25 and it was perfect. Food was really good and the prices were perfect. The staff were so friendly and gave us ideas of things we should see and do. The property was beautiful and clean and we loved the beach and waves. The pool is big and kept clean. Going during their slow season was just what we needed as it wasn't busy and it sometimes felt like we were the only ones there. I'm sure we will be back one day. Thank you to all of the staff for a wonderful vacation.

Recently, I traveled with my Family to the Virgin Islands and decided to give this resort a try. I read reviews and saw that there were good and bad, just as there are anywhere else. Upon arrival, it lived up to the expectations of a gorgeous view, absolutely breathtaking. The front desk staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was perfect, although it wasn't ready upon arrival and even after the check in time. Which was fine, things happen. After check in, we were told that there was a golf cart that acts as a shuttle to the rooms and to assist with luggage. That was very much not the case. I never received any assistance, nor did we ever get asked of we wanted a ride. Throughout our stay, the shuttle would just drive right past us, never offering service. As far as the upkeep of the room, there's where it leaves a lot to be desired. We were never supplied with the correct number of towels for the number of people in the room, despite several requests during our stay. One time we never even received towels. Throughout the whole stay, which was a week, the room was only swept once. That was only because when we requested towels the supervisor had offered because we mentioned it hadn't been done yet. The only focus seemed to be the trash, nothing else was ever cleaned. The linens were never exchanged, which was a bit irritating because despite our best efforts, sand still ended up in the bed. As far as other amenities are concerned, all the rooms should have some some type of kitchenette. Given the location of this resort, it is quite the drive to seek options for dining, and that is you rented a vehicle. Otherwise, the cost of a taxi is tremendously expensive. The restaurant on site, has plenty of options, but for an extended stay, I believe there needs to be other options available to the guests. This Marriott location could be one of the most absolute best places on the island, along with being one of the most beautiful places hands down. I believe they are just a few tweaks away.

We had such a relaxing experience at Carambola Resort. The staff, without exception, were all most friendly and accommodating. Our room was amazing. The view and sound of waves daily near our room were incredible. So very serene. The room was clean and inviting and a delightful place to be. We so enjoyed the outside patio area with cushioned benches to recline and enjoy the seawaves, beach and scenery. We dined at both the Bar and Grill and Saman restaurants on the premises. Both were perfect in service, friendliness and well prepared, delicious food. This is a resort to come back to! We truly enjoyed our experience there.

I recently stayed at the Carambola Beach Resort on St. Croix and, while the location is undeniably stunning, my overall experience was disappointing. The beautiful view and proximity to the water are highlights, but they don't make up for the issues I encountered. The resort's staff, particularly those at the front desk, were consistently unwelcoming and seemed disengaged throughout my entire stay. The only exceptions were the friendly breakfast attendant and the bar staff, who were both very pleasant. The rooms themselves felt outdated, and they lacked basic amenities. My coffee maker didn't work, and a microwave was missing. Housekeeping service was minimal; they only made the beds but never fully cleaned the room or replaced the towels. The breakfast was a letdown, especially for the high price of $32 per person. The food quality was mediocre at best and certainly not worth the cost. Beyond the pool and the beach, there was no on-site entertainment or activities offered, making for a very limited and quiet stay. In summary, while the resort has a great location, it falls short on hospitality, room quality, and value for money.

Plan on spending 80 bucks a day on a taxi that’s round trip to the boardwalk In town 30 minutes away. This place is in dire need of rehabilitation and decent food . Beach has seaweed and lots of rocks. Sidewalks are never swept gutters falling off or over filled with debris . Buildings are not maintained. Property itself has not been maintained at all. Could be a nice property but I would not recommend it. Breakfast buffet was awful down right gross and it’s 35 a person! My experience on the island and this hotel have not been a good one. I won’t be coming back

A very nice resort. It is remote meaning if you don't have a car you're gonna be stuck there or needing Taxis. The closest town is about 6 miles south (has a grocery store called, "The Market."). For some reason there was no commissary/snack area other than a cooler with bottled water in the lobby. But we enjoyed our stay. A good bar too!

One of the most beautiful places I have ever visited! The views from the rooms are breathtaking! The food/drinks were delicious! Over ten days, I tried many things - loved them all! The staff were super kind and helpful - bartending staff were fun! The events and music on the patio were a great time. The hiking was gorgeous! The pool and beach were lovely. I became scuba certified at Sweet Bottom while I was there, and it was such a wonderful experience! Nothing but amazing things to say about this resort. The drive to Frederiksted was a little scary for this mainland driver, but you figure it out. The history and charm of the little seaside town was lovely!

Spent two nights at Carambola beach resort. Online the place looked amazing. In person it wasn’t what I expected. Found a gigantic cockroach in my room, the batheoom light didnt work either. Power was constantly going on & off. My biggest issue was that the wifi was out and I couldn’t get any of my work done. They don’t provide water for the guests and they charge $3 for a bottled water. I know i’ll never stay there again. Go to The Buccaneer!

The Buccaneer Hotel is a luxurious option that offers a wide range of amenities, including a restaurant, spa, golf course, and 8 tennis courts. Originally established in 1653 during the Knights of Malta's rule over St. Croix, the estate retains historic remnants like an old sugar mill. While not fully all-inclusive, the hotel provides various packages with resort credits for dining, massages, golf or tennis.
We had one of the most amazing and memorable stays at the Buccaneer Resort! The views were just mind-blowing! We also had sumptuous breakfast every morning! Our pool times were incredible as well! Hope to return some day! “Historic Significance: Dating back to 1653 as a manor house built by a Knight of Malta, the property has undergone various transformations, serving as a sugar mill, cotton plantation, cattle estate, and finally, a resort owned by the Armstrong family since 1947.”

We had such a wonderful trip staying at The Buccaneer with our 7-year-old! Our room was in a perfect spot—just a short walk to the beach—so we could wake up and stroll straight to the ocean each morning. The pool nearby had stunning views, and we spent plenty of time relaxing and enjoying it. We also loved the beach near the kayak rentals and restaurant. It had everything you could want for a perfect beach day: food, drinks, umbrellas, chairs, kayaks, and floats. A couple of small notes: it took me a little while to figure out the A/C in the room, so if it’s your first time, it might be worth asking about. Also, the pillows weren’t terrible, but they weren’t quite what I’m used to—something I’ll be better prepared for next time. Aside from that, everything was fantastic. Be sure to make dinner reservations at the on-site restaurants, especially on weekends. The service is always excellent, and we really appreciated the clean drinking water in the room, which was refilled daily. We especially miss the breakfast buffet—it was a favorite! We’re already looking forward to coming back. Thank you for a great stay!

We can’t wait to return and would highly recommend The Buccaneer to anyone looking for a memorable getaway.

We stayed in a deluxe oceanfront room and it was indeed right on the beach. The room even has a back door to a private patio on the beach and is lovely. Service in the entire resort is outstanding. Beach attendants can deliver towels, drinks, food, snorkels, paddle boards etc. Everyone is helpful and friendly. Much, much nicer than the Carambola resort.

We stayed in the Luxury Beachside Doubloons for 8 nights paying $1k + a night. This resort is Gorgeous, but need a few touch ups with mold, but still Gorgeous! My Wife and I did notice some, not all of Staff treatment towards Us was quite different from the treatment of others. Some Staff obviously treated us differently as we observed them interacting with others. This was NOT a Racial issue, but an issue of ignorance. We will Continue visiting St. Croix as we have bonded with some great new Friends, but will never stay and spend our hard earned money at the Buccaneer Resort due to the treatment from some of the Staff. Note: of you choose to stay in the Doubloons be prepared to be awaken at 730am with noise from the cleaning staff on Side by sides. Again for the most part or stay was good, but we learned this Resort was not for Us.

If you're visiting St. Croix stay here. The rooms are spacious, the vast property is well maintained, the beaches are private and beautiful, the pool area is so cool and the staff is friendly. The boutiques are cute as well. Enjoyed complimentary breakfast at the Terrace and the ambiance every morning was perfect. Lunch at the mermaid while pricey was really good and conveniently located on the beach. Also, the resort is like an 8 minute drive from downtown Christiansted.

St. Thomas is a renowned destination famous for its picturesque beaches, snorkeling opportunities, and historical landmarks. It's a popular spot for luxury Caribbean vacations, attracting numerous cruise ships and affluent travelers seeking oceanfront villa rentals with stunning views of the turquoise sea. The island offers a blend of cosmopolitan scenes and traditional island charm, making it an ideal getaway for families as well. Additionally, investing in real estate on St. Thomas provides similar processes to purchasing property in the U.S.
I Love St Thomas. The Island is so Beautiful and lush. The waters are magnificent and bright blue. Mountain Top Banana Daiquiri is highly recommended with the view of Meagan's Bay below.

the locals drive like it's Pakistan. Beware the sea weed in the summer. bring at least $300.00 a day for food... duty-free stores are a joke , they say no tax , however, everything you buy is at least 3x more expensive than anywhere else. Just price some booze... aside from the horrible drivers and way extra priced everything the views are great the water is super clear ,and if you get away from the cruise area it's better. I did not cruise had a car so I did see entire island.
Brant N — Google review
If we ever make it back to the island I would stay here in a second. We stayed here for half of our honeymoon, after fleeing St. John to st Thomas right before Hurricane Irma hit. No one would take us in. I begged them at the desk while my wife sat in the rental about to cry. They took us in and boarded us up in a concrete villa. Hurricane shutters and all. After the complete destruction we all became a family and took care of each other and waited for rescue. The cooks there made us our first hot meal maybe days later down by the water. We ate MRE meals from the military throughout and had saved water in our bathtub and all the bowls in the villa. A lot of the lower buildings were destroyed and roofs ripped off. It was terrifying. The aftermath was almost more terrifying than the storm as the island was so destroyed no one could get food or buy anything let alone drive anywhere with phone poles blocking roads and electrical wires everywhere. This is but a short description of the ordeal. We were eventually rescued by a ln old cruise ship. I believe we might have written a thanks shortly after but with Hurricane season starting it made me remember how wonderful the people at this place were to us. Truly like saved our lives. We had nowhere else to stay and time was running out. Thank you again from Buffalo NY. We stayed in B-15. I have tons of professional photos of the damage and trip 😞

The U.S. Virgin Islands are so much fun and there are so many fun things to do! I highly recommend St Thomas! The U.S. Virgin Islands are truly a tropical paradise, and St. Thomas is no exception! From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the island's stunning beaches, crystal-clear waters, and vibrant culture. There's so much to see and do in St. Thomas. I spent my days lounging on the beach, snorkeling in the turquoise waters, and exploring the charming town of Charlotte Amalie. I also had the opportunity to hike through lush rainforests and visit historical sites like Blackbeard's Castle. The locals were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home. The food was delicious, with a variety of fresh seafood and Caribbean flavors. If you're looking for a fun and relaxing vacation, I highly recommend visiting St. Thomas. It's a truly unforgettable destination that has something to offer everyone.

Sugar Bay Resort & Spa is a laid-back oceanfront property located on the northeastern shoreline of St. Thomas. It offers stunning views of Water Bay, the British Virgin Islands, and St. John. The resort sits on 31 lush tropical acres and provides an all-inclusive experience with comfortable guest rooms featuring satellite TV and furnished balconies.
My room has a stunning view of the Atlantic Ocean, turquoise clear water, comfortable bed and spacious living area. The most valuable part of this trip has been the customer service, from the dining staff Lashonda with her great big smile she always remember my favorite place to sit and it was ready, making me and my group feel welcomed and valued whether it was at Collin’s or at the Reef. Natasha my sweetheart with your contagious smile made my lunch better. Pedro the amazing manager always present and willing to help if needed. Kay at Umi thanks for the great service during our Asian inspired dinner. I had the dragon sushi roll and shrimp tempura roll. The bar staff always with a smile made all the cocktails happen from Antonio luring me to the mimosas (love) during breakfast and passion fruit mojito 10/10 starts. Lee at the swim up bar with great enthusiasm and good music, thank you for Great time. David during dinner and evening party thanks for bringing the energy. I could write a book about the staff but you guys will be bored. During the beach days my guys from water sport set up umbrellas, bring you drink, set up your towel always smiling. Spent two weeks here over the summer and didn’t want to leave. Absolutely enjoyed the hospitality this resort offered. Starting with the most excellent belllman Reshaud. The front desk Chloe, Natalie, Sean, Akiel, NG Ina. Forgive me if I misspelled your name. The bartenders were all exceptional as well. Akeem and Damien and Nicholas. The beautiful ladies in the food buffet Kyra, Cherese and those that wait on you to get your drinks and keep the resort clean. They all make your stay so pleasant. If you need to stop in the Gift shop you will find Niedle who is helpful and very friendly. She makes a real effort to get to know you and you can tell she loves meeting new people. The house keeping staff are just so helpful and go out of their way to accommodate you. A big thank you to Sophia and Samantha! Hopefully I didn’t leave anyone out. During our stay we never had any issues finding a lounge chair and the water sports gentleman will come and get you your umbrella for proper shade. We did have ocean front room but the Palm trees took up 2/3 of our view. They offered to move us but we just moved our table chairs over on the patio. One other thing I will mention that wasn’t a big deal for us but if you enjoy room service they have a small fee. Also, an up charge at the Steakhouse if you order the ribeye. But all in, this resort was outstanding! We will come back!

My experience was not what I expected, very unorganized at check in . The dining room never had spoons , and they ran out of salt and pepper. There were 35 people who traveled with me for my wedding there at Sugar Bay and everyone complained. The best thing was the view and meeting other people who were traveling also. I have sand bug bites all over just from sitting by the pool. I have never experienced anything like this before . It was horrible. They need to treat the pool area because I'm sure they know they have a bug problem. It's not fare not to warn your guests about the sand bugs . Unfortunately I had to find out on my own. Not the best place to stay and definitely not worth the price they charge to stay here. And also there were items stolen from my room. Horrible!!

We stayed at Sugar Bay in December 2014 or our honeymoon. We were there right before they made the switch to DREAMS. Even though we stayed during the construction....I mean they were actually planting giant palm trees when we 1st arrived it was peaceful and quiet and for the most part clean. The staff upon arrival were amazing and were great the entire time!!! Top Notch and should be commended for their exemplary service. We were always greeted with a smile and we got the best service with any request we made. Again despite the construction and a few detours here and there. Our stay was memorable. The water supply wasn't all that great but we made do. Hey...it was St. Thomas...how much can you really complain? We can't wait to get back there and stay at the new upgraded resort!! Trying to make a way to get back there ASAP. The only thing my husband would say was that the pool was too cold. :) Besides that.....We will be back!!!

Awful management - the only thing they couldn't screw up was the beautiful view! Elevator to room - pitch dark with no working light; took 36 hours to fix! Noodles Bar (part of all inclusive) - Ran out of noodles over an hour before closing TWICE. the last day, they were short of 50% of the items by 4pm and they opened at 3pm. They wanted you back to the normal restaurant that sold burgers, sandwiches, etc! Fan in room - when it was on medium or high, it could fly off the ceiling at any moment as it shook violently. Brought to staff's attention all 3 days and nothing done except writing down the information at front desk each time like they were truly concerned; then again nothing. AC in room - keep the TV on so you don't hear the roar at night. Don't upgrade to an Ocean Room - they insisted our room was Ocean room because we have Bay view and over a mountaintop, there was a glimmer of the ocean. Bartenders and regular staff were very friendly; but manager was awful and couldn't care what your problem was; just wrote it down knowing eventually you are leaving! This is my first review ever; so it was worth my time to alert others of the pending problems you will get. Great views, nice pool, nice regular staff. Awful management. If someone bought them out, it would be paradise.

Staying at Sugar Bay was really the best week I've possibly ever had. St. Thomas is absolutely BEAUTIFUL. I booked a Living Social all-inclusive deal and couldn't have been any happier. The room's view was gorgeous, the food was great (considering it was all-inclusive), and there were multiple options of where to eat. The beach was beautiful, pool was beautiful. The staff were SO, SO nice. I'd recommend this over and over again. I've been checking back weekly for another deal, but haven't found any :( I hope the all-inclusive deal goes back on Living Social eventually, because I'd purchase it again in a heartbeat. Thank you Sugar Bay!

Easy walk to the beach, shopping and restaurants. The staff is very welcoming and easygoing. The condo we stayed in was very nice. Loved the place.

This was our 1st time staying here. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Our studio room was perfect, loved the balcony, perfect walking distance to town and nice pool. The facility overall was very clean, well maintained and parking. We'll definitely stay here again.

This is my first time visiting this island, I sure wish i would have read the reviews before booking here. First let me start off by saying... When we booked, we were under the impression from the owner of our condo that we would have a parking spot, well that was not true. We tried to be civil with the front desk manager Linda, we explained we were told that we would have a parking spot. She made some calls and said sorry, there is nothing i can do. I will allow you to place your items in the room, but you cant park here. After speaking to the building engineer in the garage, he suggested we park in back for only a few min to take our luggage to our room and come back. By the time we got to the room, we heard this VERY loud beating on the door, it was Linda yelling at us telling us to leave the room and move our car IMMIDIATLY! She was yelling at us like we were her childing. We calmly explained that were just putting everything in the room and was about to leave. That wasn't fast enough for her. She is the MOST unprofessional person i have ever met. I will never stay here again. As for the room, we booked via Airbnb and the room was nice, clean as expected with a very nice view.

Absolute BEST location in Cruz bay!! Walking distance to all the bars, shops and restaurants. Pool, hot tub and fitness center on sight. And one bedroom units and larger get a designated parking space in the garage!!! Huge Bonus here in town where parking is scarce!! Unit 8-202 is the most perfect one bedroom. It is so bright with a beautiful view. In almost all units the bedrooms are in the back (unless your in a no kitchen studio) but 8-202’s bedroom and living room are in the front giving you a beautiful view from anywhere in that unit. We have stayed here many times over 12 years and that unit has become our favorite.

Did a 4 day stay and enjoyed every bit. The location is very walkable - only 5 minutes away from the ferry dock and several restaurants (many beach front). The views from our room balcony were stunning. We did coffee and breakfast from St John Provisions several times and it was a quick 10-15 minute walk away. There are open air taxis near the ferry dock and they're your ticket to all the beautiful beaches. If Carolyn is working at the front desk you will be well taken care of - she has a great personality and can provide you with a fully stocked kitchen so you can hit the beaches on arrival and she's a great resource for information on restaurants and logistics. We will be back!

We split our time in the islands St. John & St Thomas for my wife's birthday. We stayed in the penthouse suite and I have to say that we slept on clouds with an amazing view of Cruz Bay! The bed was so comfortable. When we arrived by Ferry its just a 5 min walk to the resort, also walking distance to many great restaurants and bars. Sophie & Chelsea were very attentive and provided great customer service. We really enjoyed our time and we will be looking forward to next time.

Nestled in a peaceful suburban area just a short stroll from Cruz Bay, Coconut Coast Villas offers a range of charming self-catering apartments. The accommodations feature fresh and unique decor with soothing color schemes. Families will appreciate the family-friendly neighborhood, complete with a pool for kids and a communal barbecue area for enjoyable cookouts. Guests can also rent snorkel gear to explore the tropical waters nearby.
My husband and I just left paradise. St John is our happy place and our stay at Coconut Coast Villas was near perfection! The view from our room window was extraordinary, the room was clean, bed comfortable, shower divine, parking convenient, and an easy walk to Mongoose Junction was exactly what we wanted. Our only mishap was a broken bathroom outlet upon our arrival that could not be fixed during our stay, but an extension cords helped us to make do. Thank you Julie and David for a wonderful stay, we hope to be back soon!
Renee R — Google review
The host was so helpful when I screwed up the booking and helped correct my mistake. Julie is so friendly and provides great information about the island and things to do. There were beach chairs and snorkeling equipment, and the reef safe sunscreen for us to use during our stay. The room (Ginger Suite) had a full size fridge, microwave, oven, coffee maker, toaster, everything we could need. The rooms were simple but cozy. The A/C worked great. Every room has a water front view. There is enough parking for everyone. And downtown St. John is only an 8 minute walk through a nice trail. The property is down at the bottom of the steepest hill I've ever driven, it makes San Francisco look flat, so be aware. If coming to St John, this is the place to stay.

Perfect for our stay on St. John USVI. We definitely took their advice and rented a car, which allowed us to see all of the island. The location is a perfect home base for being walking distance from the main part of town. Hosts were marvelous. We felt like we had total privacy and also our own personal concierge. The property truly goes above and beyond to make sure you have all the things you need in the parks and beaches, especially the stuff you forgot to bring! I wouldn't think of staying anywhere else come next visit, as the value is simply unbeatable.

We love staying at Coconut Coast Villas. Convenient and easy to walk to Cruz Bay. Rooms are nice with balcony views of the ocean. Laundry and honor bar are nice touches. Staff and service are helpful!

Overall it is a nice family place however do not recommend for young couples. Rooms are a bit outdated rooms are clean but again just more of a family atmosphere kinda feels like your staying at your moms. Location is not as great as advertised while restaurants are walkable it’s not ideal for anyone. In reply to the owners my name is spelled right there in the review maybe give more effort when replying to a bad review and get the customers name right.

Coconut Coast Villas is one of the best places I have ever stayed. We HIGHLY enjoyed our time here and would love to return. Angelica and Ben were both a pleasure to deal with. The sound of the rocks rolling with the waves was something I didn't even know that I needed in my life. It was a highlight of our trip. BOOK IT!
Kelsey E — Google review
This is our 3rd time staying at Coconut Coast. The first two times was just my wife and I, this past time in May was our parents and our son. Every single time we have stayed it continues to be a staple in our trip to St. John. The rooms are great size and very accommadating for the entire crew. It is a 5-10 minute walk through the trail to the downtown. If anyone has a tough time walking i would suggest a rental car or taxi due to the hill getting into town. Julie from the Coconut Coast has always been so responsive and helpful. There are washing machines if you need to do your laundry during your stay. The beach chairs, noodles, and beach items are available for free to bring to the beach. There is a whiteboard at the bottom of the stairs letting everyone know what events, live music, or activities are going on. There is a binder in all of the rooms full of information about the island, restarunts and other fun tid bits about what is around. The view from the rooms are spectacular over looking the water, in a quiet area. Wake up to hearing the waves in the morning. Perfect place to stay for all! Highly reccommend!

We stayed in the Orchid suite and it was perfect for our needs. The room was clean, well laid out and the view from the private balcony was superb! It was a short easy walk to Cruz Bay from the location. The bed was very comfortable! Complimentary washer/dryer on site. The staff communicated very well before, during and after our stay. I would definitely recommend staying here during your stay on St. John.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Garden by the Sea B&B...and it is truly a B&B!! The breakfasts that Eileen made each morning were delightful! Location is excellent and only 3 rooms, so not crowded at all. They even loaned us beach chairs, snorkel gear and a cooler to use!! High marks! We enjoyed meeting the other couples staying at the property each morning. And Eileen and John are excellent hosts!
Jeff G — Google review
My family and I stayed here for my brothers wedding in January of 2025. Because we booked all 3 suites, our 5 and 7 year olds were able to join us and we fit perfectly in the largest suite. We could not have asked for a more perfect stay. From the moment we arrived, Eileen and John made us feel at home. The B&B is simply beautiful - the perfect combination of an island and jungle feel (the showers were a big highlight!) the shared living space was perfect for outdoor breakfasts and late night card games, and although we did some light shopping ourselves, the kitchen was very well stocked! The honest bar system was a perk as well! The rooms were comfortable, always cool enough, and beds super comfy! It wasn’t walkable to town for our entire party, as it is a bit hilly / the trail can be tricky at night, but my husband, kiddos and I walked to and from town daily ! It was a fun walk and short enough. We also rented their Jeep - definitely a must! While everything was amazing, Eileen and John’s daily breakfasts took the cake. I cannot say enough about how delicious and beautifully prepared the meals were. We absolutely loved our stay - and loved their recommendations and the island so much that we are already in the process of booking round 2. Thank you, Garden by the Sea!!

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Beautiful view, clean rooms, breakfasts were 5 stars. We came with family to celebrate a wedding. Eileen and John were more than accommodating. So hospitable, made us feel welcomed and at home. Will recommend this place for sure.

Eileen and John... Thank you for a pleasant stay at The Garden of the Sea Bed and Breakfast. My wife and I spent a week here on August to celebrate our anniversary. St John is a beautiful island, but very steep hills to climb outside of Cruz Bay. Renting a car here is possible and recommended. Great hospitality and delicious breakfasts are here!

St John is the very best of what the USVI has to offer and if you seek solitude, an easy pace and access to what may be said to be the best National Park in the portfolio, this is the place to stay. Rooms are clean, comfortable and absolutely beautiful. Breakfast is scratch and the amenities plentiful. We loved our stay and can’t wait to get back.
Eric A — Google review
Eileen is awesome. Incredibly charming, helpful, considerate, and friendly. Her breakfast was probably our favorite meal each day. The space is fantastic. Quiet and comfortable at night, it's also among the few stays where we could be perfectly content hanging out for days on end. Walking distance to the main drag, it's also easy to accommodate travelers who choose not to rent a vehicle, though there is still parking is required. So long as Google is my witness, we will be back to stay again!
Chase M — Google review
My wife and I spent 16 nights at Garden by the Sea for our honeymoon and it was nothing short of perfection! Eileen and John are the most welcoming hosts. There was never a shortage of great conversations and amazing food (and coffee prepared by John) prepared by Eileen every morning. Everything we ate for breakfast was delicious. The property itself is beautiful and the location is great. The rooms are well appointed, and the beds were very nice as well. The rooms also have AC! We opted to not rent a car so when looking for a place to stay, being able to walk to town was a must. The walk is about 10 minutes down an easy path and then only one hill (and an easy hill by St. John standards). We definitely cannot wait to return and hope to do so soon! I cannot recommend this place enough.

Lovango Resort + Beach Club is a luxurious retreat located on its own private Caribbean island, Lovango Cay. Just a short 10-minute boat ride from St. John and St. Thomas, this resort offers a serene escape with stunning views and top-notch service. The property spans 44 acres and features eco-friendly accommodations including guest homes and a beach club with a private luxury villa. Guests can look forward to an upcoming restaurant in Phase III as well as exceptional dining options already available on the island.
This was the trip of a lifetime. A beautiful, quiet, private island between St John and St Thomas. It is a remote feel with lush vegetation, lots of birds and lots of other wildlife, even some goats. The food is amazing (much of the fruit grown fresh on the island). The views in the villas are stunning, overlooking the beautiful blue water from probably 150 feet up on the hill. We enjoyed lots of walks and hikes around the island each morning. And the snorkeling is amazing all around St John, but one of the best spots is right off the dock from this island. Last but not least, the quality of the service is second to none. Everyone we engaged with were friendly, accommodating and genuine. They seem to truly love the work they do and it shows. Hospitality is an art and this place has mastered it. It's a very unique place because you get to know the staff by the end of your trip. Our bellhops (Clarke, Lauren and Mario) were all terrific (they take you to and from your rooms in gators up on the hill; you can walk as well). Eric, Tammy, Rob, Parker and everyone else all went above and beyond to make our stay a truly wonderful experience. We hope to visit again sometime.

Lovango Resort & Beach Club isn’t just a destination—it’s a private island sanctuary that perfectly balances rustic luxury with Caribbean charm. The staff exceeded every expectation with their warmth, professionalism, and genuine care for creating memorable experiences. From the moment you’re greeted with welcome rum punch to the attentive service throughout your stay, the team makes you feel like family. The owners’ personal touch is evident everywhere, creating an atmosphere that’s both luxurious and authentically welcoming. Take the hike to the beach. Every step down that trail is worth it for the payoff: crystal-clear water so perfect it looks fake, coral gardens that put aquariums to shame, and a beach so secluded you’ll forget other humans exist. Pro tip: if hiking isn’t your jam, the resort shuttle will happily deliver you to paradise – no judgment, just pure genius. Either way, you end up at what might be the Caribbean’s best-kept secret.

We booked a cabana at the Lovango Beach Club and I don’t think it’s possible to have had a better Father’s Day celebration. From the second we arrived on the dock, we were treated with such warm and bespoke hospitality. Originally our booking was for a ‘Beach Cabana’ but were lucky enough to be upgraded to a ‘Poolside Cabana’ with the resort being a little slower that day (both were awesome setups and highly recommended for groups). We have traveled extensively throughout the Caribbean and the food, drink, and service were top tier all the way around. Huge shout outs to Zach, the front of house manager, Jameson and Lizzie in service, and Jake in food & beverage. Thank you all for making us feel like royalty all day and being so awesome to our 4 year old (he misses you guys already). We are so happy and grateful that we got to enjoy the day with you guys! If you have read this far, please treat yourself to a stay or visit to this one of a kind resort! Very highly recommended! Thank you for everything!

What an absolutely MAGICAL evening. Took the Lovango ferry out St Thomas for a short ride to the island just for dinner. We were one of 10 guests there as the season is coming to an end. We were treated like royalty by everyone we came into contact with. We came for dinner and were concerned that we would be ready to go back before the ferry was ready to take us. Dinner was 5 to 8 PM. We ended with about an hour to spare, but there were so many beautiful spots to explore and yard games, such as life-size chess, cornhole, tic-tac-toe, among others. My husband and I enjoyed after dinner drinks while our two kids let off some wiggles. The food was phenomenal. We ordered the tuna and the filet mignon. They had a great children's menu as well. The artisan breads were yummy and the homemade ice cream for dessert finished off a beautiful evening. After dinner, we got cozy on some bean bags near the beach area and just couldn't get over how beautiful the surroundings were. It's perfectly lit at night, music is just the right vibe and volume, the breeze is heavenly, and you can hear the waves gently lapping the shores. It was definitely the highlight to our 10 day trip here. It IS pricey. It's MORE than worth it. Just go!

Lovango Resort is exquisite!! Our entire Christmas week Trip in St. John was by far one our favorite trips we have taken as a family. The friendliness and hospitality were remarkable! We did not stay at Lovango, however we had dinner there on Christmas Eve and experienced the finest customer service and a luxury tasteful gourmet dinner. Our waiter was outstanding! We were greeted immediately after getting off of the ferry. We were provided a short golf cart tour of the property and invited to walk around to take in the beauty of the pool, beach and restaurant area. The staff at Lovango went far and above with customer service because we realized after our return to St. John that my husband had dropped/lost the key fob to our rental car. We called them and they immediately looked around with no luck initially, however the next day they did find the key and contacted us and made arrangements to bring it to us. They went above & beyond to help us and we can't thank them enough! We WILL RETURN and next time my husband and I will plan to stay at the resort as well!! Thank you to all of the kind Lovango staff!! You made our Christmas 2024 perfect!!

Staying on a sailing yacht in the harbor but came ashore yesterday. Beautiful!! Our 1st time here since everything was rebuilt after the hurricanes. Stunning. Every staff member we interacted with was very friendly and helpful.

We enjoyed a brief stop at BEYC on a recent BVI sailing trip. We only went to the bar and the boutique, so this review is limited to those parts of the club. Both were very nice. The boutique had a nice selection of high-quality items, including club apparel. The bar was very nice, great workmanship there. We were not here pre-storm, but can say now it’s pretty terrific. Nice place to stop for a cocktail! Service was good, views were better! LOL

Beautiful location. Everything looks amazing, clean and comfortable. Telo at the main bar with seating to have lunch or dinner is AMAZING!! Not only does she make great drinks but also cured me of hiccups I had for 2 days ruining my vacation with her home remedy. She made my last day at bitter end great.

This place is a must stop if you are renting a sailboat in the BVIs. I loved the caretakers. They went through a great deal as a result of the hurricane Irma and came out of it stronger, more resilient and beautiful. Please acknowledge that this place was completely rebuilt after that. It's all brand new now, but the residents went through a lot of hardship in the process of rebuilding, many losing their homes. I talked to one caretaker whose roof was ripped off of her house right in front of her. This place has beautiful people who provide the most excellent hospitality. Friendly people sharing great food and creating a wonderful experiences for every visitor

I've made several trips to the BVI over the last 28 years - Bitter End and the North Sound have always been a destination not to miss. This trip we stayed at Bitter End 2.0 and had a most lovely week. The Marina Lofts are a great new addition and gave our family of 3 just the right amount of space, immediate access to water and sun. The entire BEYC crew is fantastic, attentive, cheerful and responsive. The restaurants offer a good variety of well-cooked and pleasantly delivered options. The rooms were expertly taken care of with twice daily service. The water sports crew was helpful and confidence inspiring for those taking on new challenges. The helpful front desk staff ensures that all of the details are taken care of and made our ventures around and out of North Sound seamless. You won't regret staying with the BEYC or coming ashore for provisions (new provision shop is really fantastic and holds a lot of variety for its space). There were many charming things to enjoy at the old BEYC, but BEYC 2.0 is resetting the course for an updated sailing and luxury vacation world. BEYC's staff will greet you with a smile and aims to ensure you have the most pleasant of experiences. Thank you BEYC!!

We wanted to visit since it had been completely rebuilt post-hurricanes. We stayed on a mooring ball for two nights here. We did not dine here but enjoyed an array of water sports including sailing Hobies, e-foil and Seabobs. The staff was great. We also visited the boutique and market. I think the vibe is very similar to the old BEYC.

We moored on a buoy at the yacht club and enjoyed the excellent facilities. Bitter End was destroyed when hurricane Urma visited but the whole area has been rebuilt to a very high standard with professional, well trained staff at restaurants, bars and shops.

Rosewood Little Dix Bay is truly a five-star gem. The property is absolutely stunning, with exceptional staff and great food. We’ve stayed at many high end resorts, including Four Seasons, Ritz-Carlton, and Aman — but this experience surpassed them all. It combines the best elements of each into one unforgettable destination. We’ve already rebooked for our next visit, which speaks volumes. If I had to offer one small critique, it would be that the beach service could occasionally be a bit slow — but that’s a minor detail in an otherwise magical stay. A special thank you to our butler, Mikel, who went above and beyond every single day.

We had 3 kids with us and they loved the amenities. The swivel chairs, pool table and foosball were hits after being on the boat for 4 days.

We came here for three nights for our honeymoon and had a fabulous experience! The view and amenities are spectacular and the property is gorgeous. There’s endless privacy. We came at the end of October, the first week of November, and we were the only ones on the property. Huge thank you to the incredible staff who made us feel welcome & to Sherica who became a friend by the end of the week! She went out of her way to make sure we had a good experience, and specifically brought us the wine we wanted on the beach all the way from Novo! & she gave us a great gift! Thank you ONB!

TLDR: Playground for the wealthy with plenty of options for folks to trot or cart around. If you have the cash, it is worth the exclusivity, but do not expect the same level of luxury as on the mainland. Houses: They are expensive, and many of the lots feel like they are on top of each other. While I love the style of the builds, I can't find it acceptable to pay $8-12M for a house I can spit on my neighbor. Service: Generally nice staff, but everything is just slow. Location: Pure perfection. Food: vegan options exist, but... really hard when someone charges $30 for an Impossible Burger, but they bring out a quinoa burger. The pizza was very bland. Neither the sauce, nor dough had any flavor. It is clear the kitchens in Oil Nut Bay are only schooled in meat sticks. The pools are salt water, which is amazing, and the locations are nicely taken care of. The absolute best part, though, is their animal sanctuary. They should 100% expand that sanctuary.

It was the perfect setting for a romantic dinner or a special occasion. The experience was outstanding. The impeccable service and charming ambiance made for a truly exceptional dining experience. I would highly recommend Oil Nut Bay to anyone visiting Virgin Gorda who appreciates exquisite cuisine and top-notch service. A gem!

Sand Castle on the Beach is a laid-back hotel with a beachfront cafe and bar, as well as an outdoor pool. Located in Frederiksted, St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands, it offers relaxed accommodations for travelers looking to enjoy the island's attractions such as Little La Grange Farm & Lawaetz Museum. The hotel provides a casual and enjoyable setting for visitors to unwind and savor the local cuisine at its on-site dining options while taking in the beautiful coastal surroundings.
We had the absolute best experience at Sandcastle on the Beach! From the moment we arrived, Chris and Ted were so kind-hearted and welcoming — you can truly feel how much love they pour into this place. The entire staff went above and beyond to make our stay feel personal, special, and completely unforgettable. The location is unbeatable — right on the beach with stunning views, beautiful weather, and everything we could’ve hoped for. The accommodations were clean, comfortable, and had such a relaxing, island charm. We did a lot of research before choosing where to stay, and Sandcastle stood out from the beginning — and it exceeded all our expectations. Best place for our Honeymoon! If you’re heading to St. Croix, this is the place to be. We’re so grateful for the memories and can’t wait to come back! 🌴☀️💙

Best vacation spot ever! If you are looking to get out of the rat race and just chill in a beautiful location, this is the place. Easy ride from the airport, we were greeted at the front desk by JOSH!!! He checked us in, gave us a rundown on the hotel, its amenities and offered great spots to check out. The hotel is not a luxurious high rise, it is a quaint, clean boutique hotel. The rooms are very clean and have everything you need for a nice stay. Small kitchens made it easy to make a little sandwich to take down to the beach, or they have a nice little restaurant that was delicious. The beach was perfect. They had chairs and towels and snorkeling equipment for the guest to use. This is now our favorite vacation spot and already booked our visit next year. I would give 10 stars if I could.

We stayed from August 15th to the 23rd. It's a smaller hotel with plenty of attention paid to the small things. Chris and Ted the owners were on site and very engaging. The rest of the staff were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the stay so much we booked to return next year. I am sure as long as they keep doing the great job they are doing it will become a go to get away. Truly a great week. Much thanks to the entire team.

A hidden gem! There were so many good reviews I was suspicious but they're all true! Our room was an adorable beach cottage with a welcome drink ready. Everything is very clean and well kept. The beach is absolutely gorgeous with perfect sunsets. You can snorkel right there and see a bunch of cool fish. There's also 2 beautiful pools The food at their restaurant was top notch and the drinks on point. The owners walk around chatting with everyone and the staff were great too. It felt like visiting old friends. We've been to many resorts but this one is different, it's a very special place.

We bought a day pass to this place while we were in port. Most staff were super friendly, one was a little snooty. Food and drinks were great! Beach server was great! Beach was clean. Pool was being remodeled. Great facilities (restrooms and shower rooms). I would go back and avoid the not so nice guy. The water was beautiful and calm, too!

Beautiful resort, # 1 on the island. I loved my stay here at Sand Castle. We had our wedding here on the beach, thanks to Andre for exceptional service from beginning to end. Our dream wedding came out just as I imagined. The food at the cafe is delicious, the view is breath taking! All the amenities the resort offers. Best place to stay, we can not wait to come back!

I stayed at Sandcastle on the Beach for one night August 14–15 and it was such a great experience. The property is beautiful with amazing views and direct access to the beach, which made my short visit feel like a true getaway. The room was clean, comfortable, and very well kept. I also had the chance to meet one of the owners, Chris, which made the stay feel even more personal and welcoming. Even though it was only for a night, it was a memorable visit and I look forward to coming back to St. Croix and staying longer next time.

Absolutely Exceptional Stay – 10/10! Everything about this hotel exceeded my expectations — from the outstanding service and thoughtful amenities to the breathtakingly clear and beautiful beach. I travel often, and it’s rare to find a place where every detail has been so carefully considered: towel chairs with straps, spaghetti floaters for the water, a convenient coffee station, and even outdoor showers for guests who check out but want to enjoy the beach a little longer. The outdoor decor is stylish and inviting (in love with the blue led flowerpot!), and the rooms are super clean and feel cozy, the matress is unbelievable! I especially loved that the beach is quiet and peaceful — the perfect place to disconnect, relax, and truly unwind. Ted and Chris, the owners, are incredibly warm and welcoming, which truly adds to the charm of the stay. Don’t hesitate — this is hands down the best choice if you’re visiting St. Croix. The beach is the best on the island! The food is also good — be sure to try the chocolate cake and the white chocolate bread pudding cake, both are unforgettable. Special thanks to Aaron, Nevine, Josh , the tall waitress with the black hairwrap and sunglasses, apologies- I forget her name- also her wife is the BEST Bartender! and Brad for their kindness as well. The view of the beach with the mountains in the background is simply breathtaking. I will be coming back for sure! Highly recommended! Gaelle

St. Croix, the largest of the Virgin Islands, is a popular destination for both local and international tourists. The island offers a mix of idyllic beaches, rich colonial history, vibrant culture, and lively nightlife. Visitors can explore attractions such as the Christiansted National Historic Site, Cruzan Rum Distillery for guided tours and rum tastings, St George Village Botanical Gardens, and hiking trails at Point Udall. The island also boasts funky boutiques selling eclectic crafts and handmade jewelry.

The most relaxing vacation we ever had. Highly recommend this island if you want a low key, relaxing environment. Few things that are a plus: no passport, most cell phone service works down there, no sales tax, no fishing license required, and everyone is friendly. We stayed at a hotel that was 15 ft away from the beach.

Strongly Recommend Reconsidering Your Stay at Hotel on the Cay. If you’ve ever stayed in a decent hotel—even just once—run far, far away from this one. This property doesn’t come close to a three-star experience. In truth, it’s more like a negative five. We checked in, took one look at the room, and turned right back around to the front desk to cancel. The conditions were unacceptable: cracked floor tiles, a dangerously loose railing, ants crawling around the kitchenette, dingy linens, and visible mold on the ceiling. It felt unsafe, unsanitary, and completely neglected. Only redeeming experience was the front desk staff who were kind and professional. The receptionist handled our concerns with grace and understanding, and it was pretty clear we weren’t the first to raise similar complaints. We were told the hotel was recently purchased, so hopefully renovations are in the works and there’s a future where this property is worth staying at. But for now, do yourself a favor: skip this place. It’s not worth your money, time, or peace of mind.

Has seen it's better days, but still a cool hotel. Currently under modest renovation. When I stayed here in the late 90s is was great. Rooms are island style, air conditioning was good. The location is awesome with the beach and bar the draw. Customer service is few and far between on the island as a whole, so don't be shocked when everyone you encounter is annoyed because you're a mainlander....... surprisingly even the bartenders.
Lee M — Google review
Rooms are dated, not cleaned daily, cracked tiles, walls, ceiling, ants everywhere. No room service, had to carry our own luggage up flights of stairs, no safe and no pool. More like an extended stay, not a hotel. Staff was accomodating, very friendly, pleasant and upfront about challenges. The plus side is the beach is wonderful and the night life for the bar was fun. There is sometimes a delay in getting the ferry, but the captains are pleasant and informative. Not worth the money for a full vacation stay.

Rooms are a bit dated but clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and welcoming at every encounter. The beach is absolutely stunning, great for just swimming or seeing tons of sea life while snorkeling.

Our stay at this hotel in the Cay was not the best experience. ❌ What didn’t work: The property looks old and somewhat abandoned, lacking proper maintenance. The price is high for the level of service provided. The pool was out of service, which was disappointing. There’s no restaurant on-site, which made dining inconvenient. Beach chairs and umbrellas are not included in the price—you have to pay extra for them. ✅ What we did enjoy: The view is absolutely beautiful, and the beach is peaceful and relaxing—a great spot to unwind. In summary, while the location has potential with its natural beauty, the amenities and upkeep need significant improvement to match the cost.

A landlord special. A trash heap on top of what could be a 5 star hotel. Beach is doing literally, and I mean literally, ALL the lifting. Highly outdated, rundown, and looks like you walk into an abandoned construction project. Seriously, they couldn’t even finish the new coat of paint on the outside! WHAT A JOKE. I’ve seen posts from older a year ago now saying the same and management saying they’re planning a full restoration, but all they’ve managed to do is literally do a half a paint job on the building some how managed to make the place look even worse! Staff is incredibly nice and are honestly too good for this place.

beautiful spot. I’ve been here several times first time. I’m actually staying on the resort. I usually come and sleep on my boat and enjoy the food and chef service of my private boat. This is the first time like I said staying on Scrub. Towels by the pool can be nonexistent at times and there’s no sense of urgency to get you towels. Tips is included on all meals so Service is definitely lacking. There’s no sense of urgency. i’ve been here 11 days and I’m coming back with more family in July. I hope they can correct these issues.

Absolutely stunning! A slice of paradise. From the moment we arrived by boat, we were blown away by the views and the service. The beaches are pristine, private and peaceful, and the staff made us feel genuinely welcomed and taken care of throughout our stay (shoutout Sadiq!). Can’t wait to return!

Location amazing! However the bartenders at the pool bar upstairs didn’t have any personality. It was hard to get a drink and no where was there a smile. Also they would serve who they wanted to versus first come! It could have been amazing but a missed opportunity. My guess is the automatics gratuity doesn’t get to them so they don’t care.
Nicole B — Google review
We echo what others have said - the property is beautiful and the restaurants have growth areas. The ferry from the airport is easy, though it runs on a schedule so be prepared to wait at the Trellis Bar until it arrives. The driver takes you there from the terminal. The ferry staff were wonderfully friendly, warm, and communicative. We were met with our rum punch drinks on dock. Check in was on the dock and she took us directly to our room with our keys. The only negative here is that they asked us to leave our bags on the dock so the staff could bring them up the steps. This was a mistake since we waited over an hour for our bags … they had our sunscreen and bathing suits so we couldn’t do much while waiting. Finally we went down and got them on the slightly wet dock. The beach is small but adequate. You can rent kayaks or paddle boards to snorkel at Diamond Reef, there are umbrellas, and the pool bar is just up the steps from the foot shower. The water is fairly protected and there are some fish to see and a trampoline to swim to. We did the Wednesday night party at North Beach - highly recommend - and Thursday dinner at Cardamom, which was fine. They were accommodating to my diet needs. We do not recommend Donovan’s. We needed a mid afternoon snack so we ordered nachos at the pool bar. Thirty minutes later, they still hadn’t come so the bartender sent my husband up to the kitchen to find them himself! By that time, they were soggy (cheese sauce is drippy) and hard to eat. The next day we tried it again for lunch. I ordered the Impossible Burger (comes with LTA) with a salad, no bun. 45 minutes later, I got fries, 2 burgers, lettuce, a tomato slice, and pickles. They had no avocados and offered aoili for my dry burgers. I said I ordered salad and no one brought one. Finally, the lady who cleaned up asked if I didn’t like my fries (I had one, not worth the calories) and I explained I had ordered salad and she was embarrassed that neither the server nor the manager who had come to confirm my plate was mine had brought a salad by the time we finished eating. The Outpost was great for snacks, breakfast sandwiches, and lunch sandwiches. Friends we made said their pizza is really good. They have a small coffee bar and a surprising amount of groceries. Overall, the rooms are glorious, we love our patio. If we came often, we would consider coming back, but we will try something else next time.

The Pink Palm Hotel, located in St. Thomas, offers a beachfront dining experience at El Barsito with stunning views and a relaxed atmosphere. The hotel boasts beautiful designer touches and thoughtful amenities throughout its modern and elegantly decorated rooms. Guests can enjoy comfortable beds, amazing views, and a picture-perfect pool. The staff is described as fun and helpful, offering communication via text or phone call based on preference.
We stayed for two nights at the Pink Palms hotel when our return home flight(s) were cancelled because of Hurricane Erin. The room was great, the food at the restaurant was fantastic and we had amazing service throughout our time there! The ladies at the front desk were so helpful and were always checking in to see if there was anything we needed. We even had "Hurricane Kits" delivered to our room, with snacks and drinks! Even though it was bad weather, the hotel was very pretty and well maintained. Everything was very clean. If we are ever on St. Thomas again, this is absolutely where we will be staying!

My boyfriend and I were stranded on St. Thomas because of two cancelled flights due to Hurricane Erin and this hotel could not have been more amazing!! They booked us and other people from our flight as well so last minute, made us a "hurricane care package," that had some cup of noodles, snacks, and waters, and were so helpful. The staff could not have been more kind as well! They gave us a room for a reasonable rate and even upgraded us to a different room the second night without increasing the rate because another party had already booked our room so the service was outstanding! There were people who brought our bags to our rooms, they text you about breakfast and updates on things going on in the hotel, and have complementary breakfast too. Unfortunately due to the weather we were not able to utilize the pool and other amenities but it is a beautiful and very chic hotel. The food was also very good! We got the shrimp tacos and wings for dinner the first night and the french toast and the breakfast platter the second morning. Finally, they even helped to arrange our taxis to the airport the day we were leaving. Overall, I can't emphasize my gratitude for how helpful and kind everyone here was especially during such a stressful time (something I had never experienced before) and I can't recommend this hotel more! I would love to come back to St. Thomas and stay here in the future!

The location and views here are absolutely breathtaking, waking up to that scenery was unforgettable. My room was beautiful, cozy, and a perfect place to relax after exploring. The food was a real standout , fresh, flavorful, and worth remembering. There were a few areas for improvement. Some interactions with staff felt less warm than I expected, and a couple of service requests could have been handled with more attentiveness. Drinks weren’t quite as strong as I prefer, and food/drink prices were on the higher side. I could also hear a bit of noise from upstairs guests. Overall, this is a stunning property with amazing food and a location you can’t beat. With a bit more consistency in service, it could easily be a 5-star experience.

Overall, I had a lovely stay here. It’s definitely more of an aesthetic hotel than a luxury hotel, as I read someone else describe. I still found it to be cozy, with beautiful views, delicious food and drinks, and helpful staff. A few notes for the owners: - Keep the kitchen open 30 minutes later OR consider a late night menu. I arrived from an excursion at 8:25pm and was turned away by staff. I am a solo female traveler so venturing out and back late for dinner just wasn’t an option. I was shocked they didn’t even have any simple grab-and-go options. - Ensure guest keys don’t stop working before checkout time. I was shaking out a towel on my porch 15 minutes to checkout time and I got locked out because my keys stopped working. I was in my robe - definitely not ideal. - Check your hot water source. - Love the happy hour drink and free breakfast, definitely added value to the price.

A Dreamy Stay at The Pink Palm Hotel – A True Gem in St. Thomas! I can’t say enough wonderful things about our recent stay at the Pink Palm Hotel in St. Thomas! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality that instantly made us feel welcome. The rooms were absolutely adorable—charmingly decorated with a modern island vibe, and immaculately clean. You can tell the staff takes great pride in maintaining the property. Every little detail, from the cozy bedding to the thoughtful touches in the room, made it feel like a luxurious home away from home. The views were breathtaking. Whether you’re sipping coffee in the morning or enjoying a cocktail at sunset, the scenery is unforgettable—panoramic vistas of the Caribbean that feel straight out of a postcard. One of the highlights of our stay was the on-site restaurant. The food was delicious—every dish cooked to perfection. Fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Even better, the chef was incredibly friendly, taking the time to check on guests and share his passion for the cuisine. It’s rare to find such a personal touch. If you’re looking for a boutique hotel with charm, cleanliness, top-notch service, and unbeatable views, The Pink Palm Hotel is it. We’re already dreaming of coming back!

We stayed at The Pink Palm hotel in late June/July. It's a very lovely and unique boutique hotel in the heart of the city. There's shopping and plenty of eateries within walking distance. It is recommended that you can physically climb the stairs, but once at the top you have access to beautiful views. We found the property to be consistently clean and welcoming. Each employee was kind and friendly. We did not encounter any issues during our stay. I would definitely recommend this little gem if planning a trip to St. Thomas and love boutique hotels.

The Pink Palm was just what we needed after sailing for 2 weeks. The room was large and comfortable. We had a great balcony with a view of water. The restaurant was superb as were the drinks. We enjoyed the pool, hot tub, and the view couldn’t be any better. The staff went over the top to make our stay a great one. Since the hotel is on a hillside with many steps between the levels, someone was ready and willing to carry our bags for us. The location is perfect. We walked to shops, restaurants, and bars. We can’t wait to go back!

My partner and I stayed for one night as his grandma won a night at Bingo at the Deep End restaurant there. She plays every once a week on Thursdays. When we cashed in the night stay we stayed in a HoneyMoon suite. It was wonderful. The beach is secluded and peaceful. The room is spacious and clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend a stay here

There is no beachy area with water access. There is a beach with sand, but the water is very rocky. Our room was amazing and spacious, overlooking the water, waves crashing all the time. The little bar that is on the property is ok. I was expecting something better. The food was expensive and mediocre...only ate there once for the duration of our trip. This hotel isn't near like the heart of the island...you are about 20 minutes away. Nice and quiet, no traffic, very peaceful. I would recommend staying here

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay of 6 nights in January. Room was pleasant and the ocean front location is awesome with waves and sea breezes a constant as we sat on the patio just a few steps from the shoreline. The beach in front of us is rocky and beautiful but not the sandy beach you want to swim at although there are several lovely sand beaches close by. The entire resort is a little tired – not new and some minor deferred maintenance but nothing drastic. The window blind had no pulls so we rolled it up and tied it with plant material we found on the beach. Patio door locks by using a bamboo stick – that sort of thing. Having said that, we loved being there and the staff were helpful and pleasant - always looking to make things right. We had a reservation mix-up and they took care of us and made everything more than right. Room was comfy, airy, and clean. The kitchen area was minimally appointed but adequate for our needs. It is not a luxury property or a cookie cutter chain but a charming local place with St Croix character which is just what we hoped for. We plan to return.

Don't expect a lot from the rooms but get a lot from property!

The kitchen supplies were subpar to say the least. Good thing there was only two of us there was not enough to serve four people. Had to buy a sharp knife as the other had been used as a screwdriver. the floor was very sandy when we got there, so they are not cleaning well. Towels were great. Beds were comfortable. Condominium complex
Sapphire Village Condominiums, distinguishable by their blue roofs, offer a wonderful community with fantastic ocean views and breezes. The property features two pools, a great restaurant, and a laundry facility for guests. Most condos are privately owned and many are rented out by the owners themselves. Guests have praised the large studio rooms for their chic design, cleanliness, well-equipped kitchens, and comfortable beds.
Perfect! This was my 4th trip to St. Thomas and St. John, however, it was my first time staying on St. Thomas. I feel so lucky to have found this rental! Walking distance to an AMAZING beach and that short walk is filled with little crabs and iguanas. The condo itself was cute and clean and had a great view of the marina. The pool was nice and clean and rarely occupied during our stay. My main goal of any trip to the USVIs is to spend as much time underwater as possible, so I was absolutely THRILLED that the beach just a mere minutes' walk away had such great snorkeling. I highly recommend this location, and I will definitely be staying here again if I stay on St. Thomas again.

Great place for a vacation! Multiple restaurants in walking distance, great beach & friendly staff!

We enjoyed our stay at Sapphire Village. Restaurants and Coffee Shop close by. No issues getting around via taxi and the Ferry is close by. The rain tried to ruin our time but we plan to come back to really get to experience St Thomas

Sapphire Village Condominiums (blue roofs) are not the same as Sapphire Beach Resort (red roofs)!! The two star reviewer doesn't know the difference. This community is wonderful and not in legal battles as the two star reviewer indicated. Beautiful community, fantastic ocean views and breezes, two pools, great restaurant, laundry facility for guests. Quick walk to Sapphire Beach. Most condos are privately owned and many are rented by the owners themselves. Quick access to Red Hook and ferry to other islands such as St. John and the BVIs. Sapphire Beach is top rated in views, breezes and water clarity (great snorkeling). One bedroom and studio condos only that accommodate 2 - 4 guests max. Gated community with top location on the east end of the island.
M R — Google review
Ok and close to the beach but quality depends on individual condo owners. Sand is course and beach is very crowded. These condos are further from the original development and you have to hike up a huge hill upon returning from the beach. We drove down to another parking lot, which defeats the purpose. Pools are small and busy with kids.
Debra M — Google review
Sapphire Village is within walking distance to Sapphire beach, it’s up on a hill tho, so you will walk down to the beach and back up the hill to the condo. Pizza 🍕 down by the beach is great, shrimp tacos at Sudi’s are great too. It’s BYO Chair type of deal at USVI beach or be expected to pay for a chair. USVI in general is extremely un-walkable, we walked from Sapphire Village to Redhook and it’s a short walk distance-wise but the roads had no pedestrian side walk, so you end up walking on the side with aggressive local drivers or tourists who are learning to drive on the left side. Alternatively, you can take taxi, dollar-taxi, or bus. There’s a bus stop right at the entrance to the condo complex.
SY L — Google review
Absolutely fantastic place to stay on St. Thomas. There are two pools, beach access, a marina, a restaurant and bar on-site, Redhook is close by, and amazing views. Definitely worth staying here!

Indoor lodging
Crystal Cove Beach Resort by Antilles Resorts offers informal condos with kitchens and sea views, an outdoor pool, and tennis courts. The resort provides a great location for a vacation stay, offering well-maintained rooms with beach amenities such as chairs and toys. Guests can enjoy snorkeling and parasailing at the neat and clean beach. Although some rooms lack a view due to glass walls without curtains, the overall experience is enjoyable.
We chose this location due to its proximity to Sapphire Beach, as we’ve also stayed at those condos before and wanted to try something different. Most notable difference was the larger size of the house and the better parking situation in building D. Access to the beach (from building D) is super close. However, be prepared to tell the local tenants and the laborer combing the beach where you are staying as we were asked multiple times when we were sitting in the beach chairs minding our own business. Alley parking behind building D is at a premium and goes quickly but if you get a spot it’s super close to your door. The home we chose had been recently updated so it was just like home away from home…except with a beach! Location is close to Red Hook which has fresh food markets, restaurants and things to do. It’s also not too far from Koki Beach and Coral World. Great location overall. We’ve decided that we liked these condos so much that we will skip all other locations and return to Crystal Cove next year. So many advantages to staying here versus places we’ve stayed on the island in the years past.

Well, the power goes out here quiet often. Keep ice in the freezer and a cooler handy for the fridge items. Rooms are decent, getting renovated as I type this. Just a short walk to Sapphire Beach, is what makes this worth the stay. Rolling blackouts hit 3 to 4 times a day when we stayed here.
Todd A — Google review
Rented a condo here for a week. Short walk to Sapphire Beach and its assorted amenities. I'd come here again and recommend it to you.
Michael T — Google review
Great location. Quiet. But weekend was over crowded. Neat and clean beach . Beach Chairs are provided for free by the resort itself . So no need to carry. Awesome place for snorkeling, para gliding. Rooms were well maintained. Ample beach towels, kids toys to play in beach, more than enough well furnished for vacation stay. The thing worried me was no curtain in front which was glass wall and light from from outside bothered much. Also a good restaurant inside. On the whole enjoyed the stay 🤗
Mala G — Google review
Great beach!!! But they have bed bugs. I’ve reached out to them and haven’t received a response. Very disappointing. They also put us in the wrong room. I paid for beach front with 1 king bed and 2 twin beds, we were checked into a 1 bed unit with an absolutely no view. Office was closed when we arrived and couldn’t get ahold of anyone to correct. We had to spend the first day and night with 4 people sharing one bed. Would have used the couch but had zero spare bedding. Staff was not apologetic at all for the mistake and did not offer us any type of support for the inconvenience, they made us wait 24 hrs before getting us into the correct room and did not offer a refund of any type for being in a smaller, non view room which I paid extra for.
Amanda M — Google review
Fantastic place to stay. Just be sure to talk to the chair people every time you grab a chair because they got attitude. We had been here for several days already and one day we went to sit on the beach and the person manning the chairs was sitting eating something so I assumed he was just a beach goer and I grabbed a chair. He was very rude to me and questioned where we were staying and got very defensive about the airbnb we were renting as if we were lying about it. After questioning me he came back over and started questioning us again then said he wasn't going to worry about. Ok then why are you asking again? Other than him we had a wonderful stay.

Basically you're living in someone's condo and depending on their upkeep it could be gorgeous or so so. We got a gorgeous one! The grounds are very nice amenities are few but the area is beautiful and there are places to eat that are very good. If you're looking just to hang out this is a place for you.

Stayed at an Airbnb, was nice and perfect for the two of us. Place slept 6 easily with full kitchen, laundry, and two baths Loved being able to walk out my door to the beach, and the beach was never crowded even though it was Spring Break. Snorkeling was great and there were always chairs available to lounge about. Paddle board rentals and kayaks are steps away, as well as a small beach eatery (I can't tell you if it was any good as we didn't go, but many people were carrying drinks and had bar type food) Enjoyable little place.

Cute place, freshly remodeled. Whimsical touches, extras included, beverages, lots of towels, shampoo, cleaning supplies. Could use someplace to hang wet things and additional seating on balcony. Also , USB ports and/or outlets near bed and seating. Could use something to put your items on by the bed. Host very responsive. Great views walk to the beach. Very relaxing.

Beautiful hotel/condo on the beach. Ten minute drive to town. Parking on premises, as well as tennis, quiet beach, large outdoor pool and terrific restaurant. Rooms are beautiful, with a full kitchen and two bathrooms. Office could not have been more helpful with planning out in town dining and daytime activities. Felt very safe as well. Beautiful place; perfect vacation.

This was the best condo/hotel experience I have ever had. The rooms are freshly remodeled, private beach, and restaurant over looking the ocean. Only 2 miles from down town. Elizabeth working the front desk is amazing at making your feel at home, welcomed, and great with giving you tips about where to go and what to do. When I come back I will stay at this hotel/condo again!

Caneel Bay Resort is a high-end beachfront accommodation located in St. John, USVI. Situated within the Virgin Islands National Park, the resort offers 170 tropical acres with 7 beautiful beaches, lush tropical plantings, and plantation ruins. Guests can enjoy amenities such as tennis courts, a fitness center, watersports, restaurants/bars, shopping options and spa treatments.
Beautiful and relaxing. The grounds are vast and lovely to stroll around but there are shuttles to take you where you want to go. Each group of rooms has pretty much a private beach. Never had more than 3 people out snorkeling with us. Very peaceful and private. They also clean/rake the beaches twice a day to keep them at their best. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The best part was having the beach 10 steps away from our patio and watching the mongoose darting around all over the place. The only con about the whole resort was the price of food in the restaurants. Even a bottle of water was outrageous. We weren't able to leave the resort but they do have a taxi stand where you can get a ride into town or private ferry to take you back and forth to St Thomas. Aside from the expensive food, this place just can't be beat! All gear/water activities included. Just have a plan for meals/drinks and enjoy this fantastic resort!

Caneel Bay Resort is a fine hotel and a wonderful place to spend your vacation. The resort is still under contract negotiations to resume operations, but in the mean time I felt like I would share my experience. The concierge was wonderful with helping me find things to do around St. John. The transportation from the airport was easy with their ferry ride directly from St. Thomas. The hotel is a very expensive and be prepared to pay fees you did not expect. But all and all the hotel is beautiful with stunning views and upscale accommodations.

Amazing place! Caneel Bay resort ranks as one of my favorite places on Earth. The location is breathtaking. The vibe is relaxing and yet decadent. The staff could not be more accommodating! It is worth the extra cost to stay in a beachfront room. My husband and I woke up each morning to our own private beach where we snorkeled and relaxed our day away. I'm looking forward to my next visit!!!

Caneel Bay Resort provided a truly fantastic experience. From the moment we arrived at the check-in desk we were greeted by a warm friendly, caring and attentive staff. They have an awesome Guest Relations staff person (Carol)- she escorted us to our chalet and gave us a brief tour of the property in a fun golf cart ride. Carol is the consummate professional. We felt so welcomed by all of the staff. If you're looking for tranquility, topnotch service, great food, beautiful beaches and don't mind stretching your budget - it's worth it! It's a great blend of high quality with a simplistic touch of genuine caribbean charm. The spa massages are A+. The only recommendations that I would offer is that the path lighting at night is rather dim. Better lighting and directional signage would be helpful.
Diane R — Google review
This place is paradise. It feels as if you are staying on your own private island. 7 private beaches and 3 restaurants out of the which 2 are fine dining, zozo's and the stake house. This place is very expensive so do not go there if you are pinching pennies. I suggest for you to stay ocean front at turtle bay beach if your budget allows it. You will go down a few steps from your room (4 to be exact) and you will be in one of the most private secluded beaches I have ever experienced. On a negative note...do not expect friendly staff at the main restaurant. Even though we experienced the worst service while we have been on vacation ever.......we will surely come back as the place is worth it. You will stay right inside a national park.
Nelson M — Google review
Hellhole. We arrived at sunset and weren't fully processed until the last ferry had left for St Thomas. The staff were depressing and quiet. The floor in the room was sticky! The shower had black mold. The air conditioning was hard-set to on, perhaps 65F? I later found out that this is a method for keeping bedbugs dormant. Like I said we had to stay overnight, the bed was an old mattress. We had a complimentary breakfast that involved us being bothered by creepy happy-happy people telling us in a leading way about something that had changed their lives. First ferry, it was back to the Ritz in St Thomas, accompanied by a couple who'd just walked into their room, and checked out. Despite insisting we were getting a refund it took some wrestling. The cherry on top was going to the gift shop to get a t-shirt with that famous Caneel Bay symbol... and my card was cloned!

We love the property and wild life, but are deeply disturbed by the sour, non-accommodating, unfriendly staff. We are luxury travelers and booked their best room, Cottage 7E, to celebrate our anniversary. We kept interactions with staff to a minimal because we had been there before and knew how non-hospitable they are. It has been difficult to come back for that reason alone, but the pristine beaches and privacy keeps us coming. This time though we made sure to choose the best room to at the very least get the best treatment. But nope. Other than the welcome champagne bottle they did nothing else a luxury stay requires. They even misspelled our name (which is well-known, and completely ignored my name or presence unlike any other guests's envelope) and made no effort to get to know us. The umbrella on our deck flew off with the wind and was never replaced. There was a leak in our room that made the floor dangerously wet daily right by the entrance door, they never addressed. They did not come for turndown service on our last night (because by then they just want you gone), and then refused to accommodate us just for a few extra minutes of late checkout so we would have time to enjoy our last day as much as possible. They made us take a 12:15PM ferry that was too early for our flight and we were miserable at the airport for 4 hours. I am not sure why so much disdain and dismissive mess when you are paying over $1000 per night for a room.
Camila M — Google review
Everything about our stay here has exceeded expectations. I thought the villa we stayed in was well worth the cost. Staff were friendly and courteous. Food was great. Views and scenery speak for themselves and were even better in person than the pictures on here. Best place on St. John from what I have seen in 3 days of exploring.

At Home in The Tropics Bed & Breakfast Hotel is a boutique accommodation with a relaxed atmosphere and a central location. Set in a charming historic Danish building overlooking the harbor, it offers four coastal-themed rooms, an outdoor pool, and inviting communal areas. Guests can enjoy locally sourced breakfasts that alternate between sweet and savory options. The hosts are praised for their warm hospitality, making it an ideal choice for those seeking a quiet retreat within walking distance of Charlotte Amalie's attractions.
Stayed here for a week on our honeymoon and it was simply perfect! Jess, Mark, and Lauren were so accommodating and helpful. We loved the yummy breakfast and being greeted by 2 furry friends! The view was fantastic and we enjoyed seeing what cruise ships were docked in the harbor. The location was great and we found it really helpful to be able to walk to restaurants, shops, and tourist attractions. This was an unbelievable bed and breakfast! We will be staying here again for sure they helped us find so many fun activities and food to eat and how to avoid the over crowded beaches.

We just visited At Home in the Tropics for the second time in four years, and it’s like coming home to family. Jess and Mark, the owners, are the kindest people, and they are very accessible for anything you could possibly need. The property is gorgeous and well maintained, with renovated pool area, beautiful tropical plants and trees surrounding the canopy covered sitting area. Plenty of shade and sun out there. Self service of coffee, tea, and water always available in the outdoor kitchen. It feels like the perfect place to decompress from life—even if you just stayed here the whole time, perfect relaxation space. Short walk to the Main Street with so many restaurants and bars, and Jess and Mark give great recommendations for local cuisine.

My wife and I just had our honeymoon here. We spent a week here and loved it. The location offers easy walking to Charlotte Amalie and quick access to the mountains via car. The breakfast was great and something different all 7 days. The view of the bay was great as well. It can be a little hard to find if someone parks in front of their sign but just look for the white steps going past the governor's office.

Awesome spot to stay while celebrating our 40th anniversary of our honeymoon in the Virgin Islands. So very quiet everywhere in September. A lot has changed on the islands, but the people are still friendly and the beaches beautiful. Shocked that more people weren't visiting. At home was excellent we used taxis most everywhere we went, walked to dinner though and did walk back before dark. Loved the Taphus for cold beer and snacks. Greenhouse for mexican. Amelia cafe great flavors of everything. Nice catholic church walkable too. Would love to stay here again.

My husband and I had a great time at this fantastic Bed and Breakfast. This time we decided to avoid the resorts and feel how an islander lives. The location is perfect for exploring the city center with many attractions and restaurants around. Walking around the bay was amazing and walking down and uphill was our perfect amount of daily exercise! We would like to thank the hosts Mark and Jess for being so friendly and welcoming. Also, Lauren who was helping them, she was very sweet and attentive. The room was cared for and beautifully prepared, very clean and with everything you need to make your stay at home. They also provide beach accessories such as chairs, blanket and sunscreen. Every morning, we have a different and delicious breakfast next to the pool with a stunning view. So, if you really want to feel at home but in the tropics, in a quiet and romantic environment this is definitely your place! We highly recommend it, and we will return in a future visit.

We stayed here for my moms birthday and it was an absolute pleasure. Jess and Mark are so kind and really know how to make you feel at home. The breakfast every morning was delicious but also just so nice to have that included, you know you’re gonna have a perfect start to your day and get that energy going. The coffee was strong! Just how I like it. The room was comfortable and the air conditioning works great, as a person who overheats easily I was so glad to have that. You’re right near downtown by shops and restaurants and only a 8 minute car ride away from the most beautiful beach I’ve ever been to. I’d highly recommend this B&B to any of my friends or family. Thank you so much!

Guana Island is a private paradise with 850 acres of tropical forest, hills, and valleys. The island accommodates only 35 guests at a time, offering exclusivity and seclusion. Guests can explore seven pristine beaches and 12 miles of trails that wind around Sugarloaf Mountain. The resort's 18 cottages and villas provide stunning ocean views and are constructed from native coral and stone.
Beautiful, relaxing place with a friendly, accommodating, helpful staff committed to providing a great guest experience. They can also accommodate guests’ dietary restrictions.

I recently visited Guana Island in the British Virgin Islands, and let me just say… it was so stunning, I had to make a video pretending I bought the whole island. That’s how magical this place is—it makes you feel like a billionaire. From the moment you arrive, you’re hit with jaw-dropping views in every direction: crystal-clear turquoise waters, untouched white sand beaches, lush green hills, and absolute serenity. The island is private, peaceful, and unbelievably pristine—no crowds, no noise, just nature at its finest and the kind of stillness that makes you want to slow down and soak in every second. But what really sets Guana apart is the feeling you get: like you’ve discovered a secret paradise no one else knows about. Whether you’re hiking to the top of the island, snorkeling off the beach, or sipping something cold with a view of the horizon, it’s impossible not to fall in love. If you ever get the chance to visit, do it. Just be warned—you might end up making a video like me and claiming it as your own. 😄🌴

Visited the property in Dec 2018. Very comfortable rooms. Looks like an extensive overhaul was completed since the hurricane. Food - limited menu, although all of it is chef prepared and VERY tasty. Great hiking trails. Friendly and helpful staff. Fast wifi in my room and I think covering most of the buildings. Main gripe was exorbitant price for soft drinks....which I addressed by buying them during a day trip to Tortolla and bringing them back to the room. ice available from the kitchen. Would definitely return.

I’ve been to this spot of paradise starting many years ago. My older son is 51. I think he was 5 or 6yrs old when we first went there. My late husband, Walter McConnell has been there before meeting/marrying me. (Gail Hughes). This was prior to the Jerecki family buying. The family who had a long history there. They were “Yankees” born and raised in New England. Met while each was working abroad, fell in love, had two sons, sadly never met the sons. ...we traveled there easily since we were living and working In Puerto Rico. We all loved being there. Not glitzy. But peaceful and so special. Placemats didn’t match, but, an “honor bar”! Nice! Games in evening, i e: charades was quite popular (we were all having fun)! Library was a treasure. Previous owner would read to my young son! She had been working in Russia when she met the love of her life. They were wonderful! New owners were as well. The island attracts that “kick back mind set!” Boats really could not drop anchor there. So, unless invited, booked, or ? You really could not “go there”. Attire: casual. Beach? Divine! Attire? Optional: none or whatever. Atmosphere: relaxing! Time to chill... but, great conversations. With vast variety of people! Met a super red headed gal: ok? She traveled all over playing backgammon ( yeah, gambling and winning!) Lived primarily in NYC. A wow assortment of just a few people at a time. No cellphone access nor TV. And the world continued to go around! A tropical paradise! Gail Hughes Galli

Guests can enjoy an outdoor pool, snorkeling equipment, poolside tiki bar, private beach, and poolside cabanas.
Seashore Allure is one of the most stunning properties I have stayed at! The rooms were impeccably clean, they have everything you need for cooking if you wish, and for visiting the beach. The bed is comfortable and they have everything you need to be comfortable. The parking is great and convenient. The walk to town is only .3 miles and much better than parking in Cruz Bay. This was our second time to St. John and second time staying at Sea Shore. We got married here in 2015 and were returning to celebrate our 10-year anniversary. We were so excited to return and to stay at Sea Shore. The property is beautiful and very well maintained, with a gorgeous view. Room was very clean and comfortable. While the property itself was just as nice as it was the first time, we were surprised and disappointed at the customer service issues we experienced. In terms of responsiveness, it was a totally different vibe than 10 years ago. As this trip was approaching, they reached out to us to offer assistance with things such as provisions for the room, jeep rentals, etc. We took them up on their offer to have them assist with a jeep rental. Ann Marie stopped responding to us about it prior to our trip. When we reached out for an update, she stated she was having difficulty finding something that fit the timeframe we needed but assured us she would let us know what would happen either way. We never heard anything and by the time we got there we were unable to secure a rental on our own. Had we known they weren’t going to assist, we would’ve handled it ourselves ahead of the trip. When we arrived, she was very nice when checking us in and even said we received a slight room upgrade (there was only one other couple staying there, so most rooms were open). She did not bring up the jeep issue, and at that point we didn’t mention it. When she heard it was our second time back, she informed us that returning guests get 10% off and that we would get credited. We didn’t know about the 10% thing but were very appreciative of her offer (in the moment it made us not care about the jeep issue). She stated that we would get an update about it at some point during the trip. We did not hear anything, so I followed up at the end of the trip. No response. I tried again when we first got back. Ann Marie said Dior would process it and we would see a credit in about 7 days. That time passed and I reached out again. No response. It took additional reaching out for Ann Marie to say that management had to review our “request” (we did not request it – it was offered). She then finally called to say management denied it because they technically placed us in an “upgraded” room. Not once did she apologize for wrongly offering us a 10% refund, nor did any owner or manager ever respond to us. It’s a shame because they were pleasant in person but the whole 3-week post trip ordeal left a bad impression. That issue, along with the lack of responsiveness about the jeep rental made it clear that we should stay somewhere else next time. You pay good money for the room, and with only 2 couples there you would expect responsiveness. The first experience 10 years ago was very nice in terms of the personal approach they had, as well as how responsive they were. That alone helped us overlook some of the downsides, such as location. Most taxis would not go back there at night, and the walk from the Cruz Bay night life isn’t the best when it is late. One taxi driver informed us that most drivers don’t like going there due to road conditions leading up to it. A jeep rental could solve that problem….

If you are looking for a peaceful, beautiful place to stay on St John, this is THE place. From the connections and advice ahead of our trip to the fantastic room with a beautiful view of the bay, a private pool and hot tub and the quiet away from the Cruz Bay Area, this place gives it to you all. 5 minute drive to Cruz bay and all the action too. On top of that, the host (Dior) was always helping us with food suggestions, places to go and even helped with a birthday celebration. I could not speak more highly of this location in paradise. If you want the best of all things for your stay, SeaShore Allure will not disappoint.

Really nice condo with beautiful finishes. Amazing bay-view covered porches. Easy flat walk to town. Manager is extremely professional. 2-bedroom unit with W/D was key. Very private and high quality with ample parking. Beds comfortable! We absolutely loved it!

Lots of good things to say about Sea Shore Allure – and a few not-so-good things. As for the positives, it’s really a very nice place. The villa we had (one bedroom, ground level) is beautiful and very well appointed with everything needed. Staff met us upon arrival, showed us around, had a welcome basket in the room for us, etc. Pool area is great, although the pool area hot tub was not working. Staff is great and very responsive to issues via text and phone. As for the negatives, maybe the most important thing to know is that Sea Shore Allure is in a neighborhood at the end of a road filled with potholes, some junk cars and some junk boats. During most nights we could hear a dog barking. We had a few issues with the villa – satellite TV didn’t work, whirlpool tub had issues, bathroom towel bar fell off, water pressure went to zero once, etc. Staff was notified and very responsive to the issues, but some things never did get fixed e.g. satellite TV. We really liked the island of St. John, and Sea Shore Allure was a great place to stay, and staff is outstanding, but there were a few issues that need to be addressed.

This place is amazing. Absolutely loved our two bedroom suite and the pool overlooking the bay was stunning. The staff members were so nice and they made us feel so welcome when we arrived. The suite had everything we needed (actually more than we needed which was wonderful). We will have wonderful memories of our vacation in St. John and Sea Shore Allure is one of the reasons why!

This place is truly amazing. The resort is beautiful and very well maintained. The staff members were so nice and accommodating. Prior to the trip, I called the hotel and was planning to propose to my now fiancé. Dior helped me plan the entire proposal on the property and it was truly incredible. The staff set up a proposal with candles, flowers, a photographer, and steel drum musician and singer. It was truly magical - I can't thank Sea Shore Allure and their staff enough for a perfect vacation and proposal.

Sea Shore Allure did not disappoint... This property is gorgeous and very well maintained. Great Location. We were greeted upon our arrival by the owner who showed us around. A gift basket was in our room at our arrival. Our one bedroom unit was more than adequate for the two of us. The unit is up to date with high quality details and furnishings. Our bed was so comfortable. Loved being on first floor. Great location. This was our third visit to the island and our first time staying at Sea Shore Allure... By far the nicest place we've stayed on the Island.

Nestled on the scenic hillside of Cruz Bay, Lavender Hill Suites Ltd. is a charming retreat that often flies under the radar for many travelers heading to St. John, USVI. With its distinctive purple roof, this delightful accommodation greets visitors as they arrive by ferry, making it an inviting sight upon arrival. The location offers unparalleled convenience, allowing guests to easily explore all that Cruz Bay has to offer—beaches, dining options, and local attractions are just a short stroll away.
Amazing location in a peaceful area, but a short walk to Cruz Bay. We loved going on our adventures during the day, coming back to clean off and walking to town for dinner. Could not have asked for a better location. Service is also amazing, they answered all questions we had quickly and helped out when needed. Would stay here every time we visit. Beautiful view of Cruz Bay.

Beautiful place to stay and very well maintained. I appreciated the AC and the comfort features of the place. More than enough space in 6W for two families. Quite a hill to get up to them, but well worth it. I appreciated the parking behind the facility as well. Very quick walk to town with a beautiful view.

My family and I stayed in 8E (I think). It really is tough to go wrong with Lavender Hill especially for the cost and if you like being able to make some of your own meals while on vacation. These units are within easy walking distance of several trendy eateries at the bottom of the hill as well as ample shopping. The units themselves are very clean; have ample space; have a GREAT view; there is a private pool... And our unit even had beach chairs and coolers for the guests to use. For the price, give me Lavender Hill ANY day over the resorts in the area. The owners are a phone-call away and are VERY responsive. Trust me - you won't be disappointed.

I have stayed here 3 times. Nice place! Very close to town and all the shops, diving, bars, eating establishments. All within walking distance. This place is beautiful both inside and out. I have stayed in Cruz Hay 9 times and this is the only place I have stayed in more than once.

Lavender Hill is great! The views of Cruz bay are stunning, the location to town is perfect. Highly recommended! Can wait to go back for a 4th time!

Great view, location within walking distance to Cruz Bay (which is crucial! No parking available in Cruz Bay) lovely pool and garden. They thought of most everything.

Sapphire Village Resort by Antilles Resorts is a laid-back and welcoming resort located on a beautiful half-moon-shaped white-sand beach. The pink two-and three-story buildings offer comfortable rooms, some with kitchenettes. The main attractions are the beach, food, and ocean activities such as water sports and diving. The property features well-maintained condos with renovated studios offering fantastic marina views. It also has two swimming pools and an on-site restaurant called Slice VI.
I stayed in a condo, privately owned and checked in actually at the other next door location of Sapphire. I stayed in the Dominica building facing the marina. nice views for mornings and evenings. The condo was old, outdated but clean with great working A/Cs. The grounds were kept very well, the office staff so helpful even though their office didn't handle the reservation. I traveled solo and felt safe. Gated with security that dies stop you looking for parking pass. Say hello to the English Lab in the office 🐕🐶. Pics from the balcony.

This place is ok but is often over hyped by condo owners on social media groups trying to rent their units. Secret Harbor Beach Resort is on a nicer beach and it costs less.
BlueBox M — Google review
We stayed at a condo on the property through Vrbo and it was fabulous. The location was central to Red Hook and a short drive to Charlotte Amalie. The beach was a 4-5 minute walk on the resort property. The marina was a short distance away and you can walk along the shoreline for a good distance beside by the marina. Sunsets and sunrises where spectacular.

People that rate these at 3-4 & 5 stars must not get out much. This area was pounded by hurricanes a few years ago and are still being rehabbed in 2024. First, people and service - it sucks here. Most all of them know you’re going to guilt tip, so they treat you with indifference and contempt. We stayed in a “renovated” AB&B which was $$$$ and lacking: bugs, mold & mildew smell (because the owners turn off the AC when the unit is empty), and contemptuous service staff that resent you. Your vacation dollars can be spent better elsewhere in the world. That said, it’s gorgeous here outside of hurricane season.

It's a really nice place. You are super close to this amazing beach with 2-3 bar/restaurant. The food is great by the way. You have some laundromat almost open all the time. Peoples are very nice, if you need something they will help you !
Morin T — Google review
We rented a one bedroom studio in the Dominica Building on the first floor. It had just been fully renovated and was absolutely beautiful. Our balcony faced the marina with a fantastic view. The property itself is well maintained. Very clean and cared for. It has 2 swimming pools and a short walk to Sapphire Beach. There is a restaurant on site called Slice VI, which serves lunch and dinner. You are approximately one mile from Red Hook which is very convenient. In red hook there are quite a few restaurants and Moe's grocery store. You are also about a 5 minute ride from Food Center which is a larger grocery store. In Red Hook you can also catch the ferry to St John or the BVI. I would suggest renting a car as it makes exploring the island much easier. There is a safari bus that stops up the hill right in front of the property and it costs a couple of dollars to get to Red Hook. You also have the taxi option. One tip...walk along the dock of the marina, all the way to the end, then go out the gate and you will have a fantastic view that is 100% unobstructed. It was absolutely breath taking. I enjoyed it here so much that we will be returning to the same property next year.

Amazing views, clean rooms. Check in process is cumbersome and unorganized (we were given the wrong keys to our room). The good outweighs any issues however as we definitely plan to return.

We stayed in a beautiful villa here in St. John, Summer Breeze, and these nice folks at Catered To Vacation Rentals were very helpful.
Cynthia R — Google review
From our experience, "Catered To" did an okay job, but the hot water heater was dead at our rental, and we had no hot water for the first 3 days. They said the prior renter didn't report it, and then Sat and Sun the supply store was closed. On Monday when they were able to get the heating rod needed, they did fix the heater perfectly well and we had no other issues. They could have been a LOT better about the communication during this period. Afterwards, they did make a small gesture to accommodate us for the impact to our trip. Otherwise the property was great. The company representative met us at the Jeep rental and we followed her to the property where she walked us through... It was all very quick and we wish she had been more diligent because maybe she would have discovered the water issue. We wish "Catered To" tried harder themselves to have the rental prepared for us. Even though the renters didn't report it, their entire maintenance crew cleaned and reset the place in advance of our arrival. Nobody used hot water? Look it's a beautiful island but it's so hard to get to and rentals are so costly. If you find you MUST hold your nose and rent from any of these companies, just protect yourself by assuming they are going to disappoint you, and HELP THEM DO A GOOD JOB by calling a week, in advance, 3 days in advance, Day before, Day of and ask - is everything ready for us? Is there hot water? Does the roof leak? It's a sad reality but if you're going to pay these kinds of rental rates, you deserve to receive the service for which you paid. GOOD LUCK!

Horrible!!! Was booked in a home with many issues - unsafe pool chemicals, ACs not working, etc. Had a man walk in unannounced who claimed to be the owner while my daughters were in the pool. They refused to refund the rest of my stay and allow me to leave this dreadful place. Spent over 10k on a vacation that was absolutely ruined. After reading all of their terrible reviews, this will be the last time I book a vacation home here. I’m going back to staying at a resort for certain.
Amber K — Google review
Absolutely terrible customer service and experience communicating while trying to plan a vacation home rental as I planned my dream wedding. I went to USVI as a small girl and always said I'd marry there. Over time I developed my dream wedding and found the dream place, planning to spend nearly a week in a nice home overlooking the ocean. This company broke my heart. The experience I had trying to book a home was so awful I will tell everyone I know to go elsewhere. Deplorable and impressively unkind.

Catered To has a wide range of fabulous vacation homes all over the island! We ended up selecting one close to relatives on island, which was so convenient. Catered To's staff is super knowledgeable of all things St John. They found the perfect fit for our visiting family, the house was in great condition, private, and comfortable for our group.

Absolute worst experience of renting a villa in our lives (20x+) in 32 years of marriage. To give you an insight into who I am, I’ve never called to complain about anything in those 20 visits. The latest today is Catered To and One Fine Stay sent me an email blaming me on all the issues in the villa. Until this is made right, it will be my personal endeavor to let as many hundreds of thousands know on social media.... NEVER, under any circumstances, use this company or One Fine Stay, E.V.E.R. Feel free to send me a message and I’ll detail our experience so far. If I could give them a negative 10 score, I would.
