Hotel
Hotel Taschenbergpalais Kempinski Dresden is a luxurious hotel housed in a former royal residence, offering elegant dining, a relaxed bar, and a spa. The rooms and suites exude luxury and attention to detail, reflecting the property's rich history. Situated in the city center, it provides easy access to beautiful surroundings and nearby attractions such as the Notre Dame Cathedral and the Opera House. Guests can also enjoy proximity to a large shopping mall for added convenience.
The design is breathtaking—Art Deco elegance meets bold, modern flair. Our room was spacious and very comfortable, with a great shower and smart TV. Highlights included the spa experience: excellent sauna, pool, steam room, and peaceful lounge. Restaurants, rooftop bar, and lounges impressed with style and quality. Perfect central location — everything was within easy walking distance. Will definitely return!

We had an amazing in time in this hotel. First of all, the service was top notch, quick and easy check-in, friendly stuff, they made our room every few hours and a small fix that was needed in our room was dealt immediately. Plus they were comfortable with English! The spa was super nice, great pool and saunas, infra red room, fruit water and tea and come environment in general. Would appreciate a bit bigger saunas, but we went during the weekend at a time I assume most people prefer, and it was fine. Finally, the location is just great, very close to the Elba, pretty architecture around, maximum 10 minutes walk to main attractions, tram station just downstairs, lots of restaurants. Really recommend!

I’m the loyal member of titanium level and unfortunately this was the worst experience in the Kempinski hoteliers. First we got 2 rooms where windows overlooked the stage with techno music and screaming crowds because of some festival in the city. Service at the front desk assured us that the noise and music stops at 11 pm. and it’s nothing to worry about. Well it didn’t. Spooky loud music and screams of enraged youth were until 2 -3 am We couldn’t sleep at all. It was impossible. Why this lie during our check-in? Another thing is service during breakfast. We asked for table for four outside in the patio but nobody paid any attention to set the table, so we had to take the one with the uncomfortable high chairs. For 2 simple coffees with milk we waited 35 minutes so the eggs we ordered got cold. At the end we mentioned that we would pay for our stay different card that the one we gave for security deposit. Nobody respected us also in this case. This is not the experience you expect from 5 star hotel. Service at the front desk and at the restaurant ignores guests.

It’s perfect! Staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are freshly renovated, great view. Nice spa. Pet friendly!

We stayed at this hotel in early July and encountered a shocking situation! We left our car with their valet parking (for which we had paid), and the attendant took our car, inspected it, and ensured that there were no damages. However, when we decided to leave, our car was brought to the entrance, and we noticed that it was scratched! The staff did not inform us about this, and if we had left, we would have discovered the scratches later. We immediately informed the staff, they checked the document on which they accepted the car and said that yes, the car was without damage and the insurance will reimburse everything. In the end, a month later, the insurance sent a letter that they would not reimburse anything, and the hotel itself now writes that these damages were not on their territory. And whose territory is it? We handed over a completely intact car to you, and you saw the damage when you returned it! If we had known that would happen, we would have called the police immediately and documented the damage. You can see your employees in the car's reflection in the photo when we saw the scratches and informed them immediately!

Had an amazing stay over there. The rooms are amazing, the staff really coddle you by literally making your bed for the night everyday haha The location is amazing as well, close to everything in the city. One very nitpicky thing, is that the people at the reception seemed a bit novice, in that they didn’t offered us welcome drinks until we asked for it. They were nice and helpful though.

For an in-depth video review, visit my YouTube channel Truly Excellent Hotels & More, & don’t forget to subscribe! (Link available in profile). Tucked within the heart of Dresden’s historic center, Hotel Taschenbergpalais Kempinski stands as a breathtaking testament to baroque grandeur reimagined for the modern traveler. Just a stone’s throw from the Zwinger, Semperoper, and the Elbe River, the hotel’s location is as enviable as its architecture. Following a meticulous € 40 million renovation completed in early 2024, the palace has been transformed with sleek, contemporary interiors, thoughtful sustainability upgrades, and a dramatic new lobby that echoes the fluidity of the Elbe itself. Since 1995, the German-founded Kempinski brand has infused the property with its signature blend of European elegance and gracious hospitality. My stay in one of the 60 m² Deluxe Suites was nothing short of exceptional. The suite offered a seamless blend of historic charm and modern comfort, with a spacious living area furnished with multiple seating options, a writing desk, and an oversized flat-screen TV. A separate sleeping area featured a king-size bed, additional seating, and a second TV—ideal for unwinding after a day exploring the city. High ceilings and polished wooden floors lent the space a regal air, while refined furnishings, fresh flower arrangements, and hand-selected décor created a sense of calm sophistication. The bathroom was equally indulgent, with a freestanding bathtub, walk-in rain shower, Salvatore Ferragamo toiletries, and a towel warmer. My suite overlooked a quiet side street, offering a welcome retreat from the lively festival unfolding just outside. Upon arrival, I was greeted with a chilled bottle of champagne, artisanal pralines, a delicate miniature cake, and a beautifully arranged fruit basket - replenished daily, just like the complimentary minibar. Each morning began in the hotel’s Breakfast Restaurant, a refined space with the option to dine al fresco in the tranquil courtyard. The buffet was generous and beautifully presented: fresh juices and smoothies, an array of breads and pastries, jams and honey, cold cuts, cheeses, smoked salmon, salads, yogurt, and hot dishes. À la carte options such as Eggs Benedict and pancakes added a personal touch. While the food was excellent, service during breakfast occasionally felt stretched and less attentive than expected. Beyond breakfast, the hotel’s culinary landscape is impressively diverse. The Palais Restaurant offers seasonal regional cuisine in a setting that marries baroque splendor with modern design. Amalie Pâtisserie & Lounge is a serene haven inspired by Amalie von Sachsen, serving exquisite patisserie alongside premium teas and coffees. Kastenmeiers Restaurant is a standout for seafood lovers, while Bar 1705 delivers stylish cocktails in a chic atmosphere. During the colder months, the courtyard transforms into the cozy Almhütte - a rustic Alpine chalet serving hearty specialties. For wellness and relaxation, the attic-level spa is a sanctuary. The heated indoor pool, kept at a soothing 28°C, is surrounded by elegant loungers and baroque-inspired details. Finnish saunas, a steam bath, an infrared cabin, and a curated selection of treatments complete the experience, with herbal teas and infused water available throughout. The gym is sleek and well-equipped, offering everything from cardio machines and rowing equipment to free weights and stretching mats. Over the years, Hotel Taschenbergpalais Kempinski Dresden has welcomed royalty, celebrities, and dignitaries - including King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands and Robbie Williams. This was my second visit, and while my first stay had already left a lasting impression, the refreshed design and renewed energy of the hotel truly captivated me. Despite a few service hiccups, the overall experience was exceptional. In my view, this remains Dresden’s finest address - a place where history, hospitality, and modern luxury converge in perfect harmony.

Thank you for the lovely stay at your gorgeous hotel. I was treated like a queen by the staff. Dresden is also the one my favourite cities in Germany. Your hotel absolutely exemplifies five star service and accommodations. Special thanks to Erich who went above and beyond and was welcoming and gracious.

Relais & Châteaux Hotel Bülow Palais is an upscale hotel that offers a bistro, cigar lounge, bar, restaurant, and spa with three saunas. The hotel's exterior may not stand out as exceptional compared to its surroundings but the modern interior is well-maintained and clean. While the service may not meet some guests' expectations for a 5-star hotel, the restaurant offers a lovely tasting menu.
Classy and discreet. Well situated, only 15 minutes walk to the opera, museums and churches across the bridge. Beautiful hotel, invaluable staff, always prepared to help. Efficient valet service for the car. The rooms are very nicely decorated. The buffet breakfast is stunning, both in choice and quality. Actually fairly priced.

Had a fantastic stay in the Hotel Bulow May 2025. Location is ideal, near train station and a few minutes walk from centre. The staff are super professional and super friendly. Rooms lovely and comfortable. We had some fabulous meals, the food is of a very high quality. We thought the breakfast was the best we had seen in any hotel, anywhere. A really special place.

Wonderful Stay at Hotel Bülow Palais We stayed a few nights at Hotel Bülow Palais and had a very pleasant experience overall. While the building has a classic, historic exterior, the interior is beautifully maintained and feels recently refreshed. Breakfast offered a variety of healthy choices and was complemented by friendly and attentive service. The bar was also a nice spot to relax, again with excellent service. One of the highlights was the spacious sauna and wellness area – very clean, well-maintained, and perfect for unwinding after a day of sightseeing. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would gladly return. Highly recommended!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had a truly wonderful stay at the Relais & Châteaux Hotel Bülow Palais. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The suite was beautiful, with elegant furnishings and a carpet that was clearly well maintained—nothing felt worn or outdated, which made the space all the more comfortable and inviting. While the hotel itself is gorgeous, what made our stay unforgettable was the staff. They were absolutely top-notch—friendly, professional, attentive, and genuinely warm. They remembered us during our stay and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. Their hospitality really set this hotel apart and made us feel at home. The location is also ideal—just a short walk to many of Dresden’s main attractions, yet tucked away on a quiet street in a charming neighborhood, which made it the perfect balance of convenience and tranquility. We also enjoyed dinner at the on-site restaurant, which was fantastic and an experience we would highly recommend. Although we didn’t get a chance to visit the spa or try the breakfast buffet this time, we look forward to both on our next visit. This is without a doubt a 5-star hotel in every sense. We cannot recommend it enough and will certainly be back!
Luxury I — Google review
A wonderful hotel with the friendliest staff I've ever seen in Germany as well as luxurious conditions. We had 5 people across 3 rooms and everyone was impressed. If I had one complaint (a minor one) it's that the young lady taking breakfast orders didn't seem to understand us very well and didn't always bring what we asked for, but it was close enough. Everything else was superb. Highly recommend.
Paul — Google review
This hotel deserves a 5 star rating just on the basis of excellent customer service. It is located 10 mins walk away from the center of Dresden, but the area around it is also pretty great. They have underground parking. The rooms are finished in an older style, but everything is super clean. The only con is if you open the windows, it gets kind of noisy at night with vehicle noise. The customer service aspect is incredible. They provided a turn down service, the person who did that went the extra mile and placed my luggage on the luggage stand, put a nice towel on the washroom floor. When checking out, the person offered me a bottle of water for the road. Small touches like these are absolutely incredible. They also had a pair of slippers, along with individual bottles for lotion, shampoo and body wash (such a rarity and breadth of fresh air when every other hotel puts gross reusable ones in the washrooms).
SWAPNIL A — Google review
This is a beautiful five star hotel that offers unmatched service in a pleasant atmosphere. It so happened that they also offered unmatched prices for their rooms this holiday period of July 2025. I had booked a superior room which was indeed superior to any of the 18 hotels rooms I had lived in for the past 18 days of my roadtrip to the sub-arctic areas of Scandinavia from Switzerland, except that it opened on the inner court yard. There is everything you need for a comfortable life including a fruit basket and a Nespresso machine, and at 6 p.m. you will hear a knock on your door; it's the maid who arrives to organize your room for the night. After check-in you are offered a glass of well chilled crémant d'Alsace and if you are a cigar smoker there is a cigar room with plush English leather sofas in which youn can enjoy life without disturbing non smoking guests thanks to a potent roof aspiration fan. A nice bar and a restaurant completes the picture so well you do not need to go out to survive. Breakfast is up to the star rating with the best possible black teas, various egg dishes and good bread and freshly pressed orange juice. There is a lot to learn here for other hotel owners. Highly recommended.
Sebastian R — Google review
This review is long overdue, but I am only now catching up on my reviews after months of travelling since February. This has to be one of my top five favorite hotel stays ever. When an establishment is great it delivers without pretentiousness. Everything hit the mark here, and without a big announcement. This is a stay for still elegance. I am in my late thirties and found the crowd to be more mature. No one is shouting anything. It was a nice five days of enjoying life in Dresden. The Room: I had a deluxe room. The bathtub was perfect, and I loved that they had Molton Brown soaps and bath salts. Also a proper hairdryer. The room overall was spacious, and relaxing with a decent minibar and thoughtful furnishings. Everything was the extra mile and noted. The Location: Just a short walk to Old Town, but you're right there. It was a great way to be centrally located whilst experiencing a calm only a few extra minutes tucked away can provide. The Food: The main restaurant provided an exceptional dining experience. I had the onglet (I still remember even now despite it being 7 months ago), the oysters, and a regional wine that I wasn't expecting to like but did. The bar made one of the best negronis I have ever had. On the weekends they had a pianist, and I am always a sucker for a piano bar. The atmosphere is relaxing, classy, yet chill. I only had the breakfast one day out of my stay, but the head chef who runs the operation makes it her world for those few hours. It was a wonderful experience eating and drinking there over five days. All the staff involved were lovely. With every glowing five star review, I want to offer some constructive feedback as someone who travels all over the globe. So two points: 1. The bed labelled as a king or queen bed was a conjoined bed that didn't remain conjoined at all. I would fall through the middle if I rolled over. If I come with my partner next time, this would be an issue; but honestly a solo traveller shouldn't have to deal with this either. For a hotel that has all their boxes checked, this was one miss. The bed shouldn't float apart. 2. The gym is really nonexistent. The machines barely worked, are old, and it feels like it's in a cluttered room as an afterthought. My suggestion would be to just admit defeat unless you are going to expand the area and / or upgrade the equipment. Get rid of the machines in this space and have a small stretch, yoga, meditation type area. This would compliment the spa area more than what is there now and make more sense to the image. I wasn't in Dresden for the gym so I didn't care much, but it's just an observation. Regardless of the two points above, I cannot imagine giving the rating of my experience of this hotel anything but a 5/5. I look forward to returning in a few months. The food, room, and atmosphere really made it a top experience in my travel history.

Hotel
Nestled in the heart of Dresden's Altstadt, the Hyperion Hotel Dresden am Schloss offers a delightful blend of modern luxury and historical charm. This stylish hotel boasts 235 elegantly designed rooms and suites, many featuring stunning views of iconic landmarks like the residential palace and Frauenkirche. Families will appreciate the availability of connecting rooms, while business travelers can take advantage of an executive lounge.
This hotel was fantastic! We reserved a Superior Room with breakfast included and were very pleased with our four-night stay. Our room was 425, which had a unique layout as we didn't share walls with any other rooms (except the far wall in the bathroom). This made for an extremely quiet stay, which is exactly what we wanted after full days of sightseeing. All of the hotel staff we encountered (front desk, breakfast, bar, and room service) were extremely friendly and helpful. The mini-bar was restocked daily.
Dawn Z — Google review
We booked a day spa package. There was no pool or hot tub which I find odd for a spa. The place itself was pretty and relaxing. We got massages and facials. The massage felt like the woman had never massaged a person in her life before, but she had good intentions. The facials were advertised as optimized for your skin but no skin analysis was made, not a single question asked, but the products were very good, so I'd say the facial was acceptable as a spa treatment. Afterwards, we got hunted down on the sofa by the staff to pay immediately and not when we'd be ready to leave which left a weird feeling. Won't return, but not the worst place out there.
Elin K — Google review
This hotel is in a great location with excellent service, and the minibar was a great. A few details kept this from being a 5-star experience. The pillows were extremely flat, and the towels were basic not that good quality—more like what you’d expect from a 3-star hotel. On top of that, all the towels had a strong Clorox-like smell, which is hard to ignore. Cleanliness overall was fine, but not outstanding.
Doubler B — Google review

Great location, comfortable room! Did not partake the 29 Euro per person breakfast, as that is very steep.
Daniel Z — Google review
Absolutely gorgeous hotel from the outside, corresponding to the beautiful city center. Parking and subsequent check-In was quite uncomplicated and the staff were very welcoming. The room was just perfect, the bathroom being integrated openly into it. Included in the price is a mini-bar that‘s being filled up daily. It was quite nice to get back and just pop open a coke or a beer to relax. The only down side was, as in many other hotels, the carpet floor in the room, which obviously shows signs of it‘s age. A hard flooring would be much more welcomed. Breakfast didn‘t disappoint either, with a variety of tasty options. The hotel also offers dinner and bar options, I did not use those though.
Tim — Google review
Very nice hotel and the open bath room with frosted glass doors to the toilet and shower was not a problem for us! The TV was old and small though, but over all a nice and comfortable room. The breakfast was superb! Very nice location and surrounding areas and easy to park in the hotel garage.

Steigenberger Hotel de Saxe is a refined and elegant property located in the heart of Dresden, offering comfortable accommodations with free Wi-Fi. The hotel's central location allows guests to easily explore the city's attractions on foot. Guests can enjoy a rich and delicious breakfast at the upscale restaurant, as well as nearby dining options. The hotel boasts old-world charm in a new setting, with soundproof and clean rooms.
Excellent hotel. The room was specious and very very clean. The shower was really clean and comfortable too. The staff members were friendly and professional. The location is good, walking distance from most locations.

I would book direct next time (not through 3rd party). It might have been cheaper but the request for “2 people, 2 beds” did not get forwarded to the hotel reception. So there was some scrambling last minute for staff to make the adjustments. However, the hotel is beautiful, fabulous location. Staff was exceptional.
Cheryl E — Google review
Very comfortable and quiet hotel. Across the street from the old Lutheran church. Bed was comfortable, room was clean. Very nice walk in shower
Bartley C — Google review
In my opinion, this is one of the best Steigenberger hotels. Perfectly located in the very heart of Dresden, directly overlooking the Frauenkirche. The rooms are spacious, quiet, and elegantly furnished, offering a high level of comfort. The breakfast buffet is outstanding – extensive, fresh, and beautifully presented with regional selections. Service is consistently professional and courteous. Overall, a truly exceptional hotel that represents the Steigenberger standard at its finest.
Nicolas — Google review
Great location close to all the places you want to see in Dresden. Great service at the front desk; they stored my bike for me just off the lobby so I didn't have to deal with it. The room was nice, fancy modern design, everything in the bathroom is very modern and works well. Good lighting on the bathroom. Some of the furniture (bedside table) is a bit scratched up, presumably because it wasn't designed with durability in mind. One of the light switches doesn't do anything so it was a mystery what it's purpose was. Same for volume control knob in the bathroom - usually those are for a speaker that relays the sound from the TV but in this case it did nothing. The small fridge is totally silent when running, which I appreciate. There is an electric kettle with instant coffee and several kind of tea bags. The curtains keep out all the light when closed. The mattress is comfortable, the down comforter is very good, just the pillow is not what I'm used to - filled with feathers and squished down into an odd shape. Theoretically you could request one of 3 kinds of alternative pillows from the front desk but that seemed a bit complicated. There is an air conditioner control panel and it worked well. The controls are Un-intuitive but I found the explanation in the TV system / guest services info. The room is quiet. No noise from other guests, just a bit of noise from cars in the cobblestone street below, but there are very few cars.
Nik G — Google review
Excellent hotel in the historical city centre. Very good & absolutely clean rooms, comfortable & monumental classical styled. Location is beautiful - you will be live in the middle of historical centre. Take off 2 stars, because despite the fact our room-number was preliminary fully paid they took 58 euro from my card (don't why & for what, may be safety deposit ?) & after 2 months I still don't get it back 🤷

Hotel Indigo Dresden - Wettiner Platz, an IHG Hotel, is a boutique hotel that beautifully combines Baroque and industrial chic styles. The rooms are elegantly designed with designer furnishings, timber and leather detailing, and unique domino sculptures as a playful nod to the city's history. The regional breakfast buffet offers delicious options from a local bakery, while the VOLT Bar serves innovative cocktails and tasty snacks.
I booked my stay at Hotel Indigo Dresden spontaneously and didn’t expect too much at first, but it turned out to be a truly wonderful experience. The hotel is conveniently located in a quiet part of the city, offering a peaceful atmosphere while still being well-connected. They do have a parking garage, though spaces are limited and subject to availability for hotel guests. Check-in was smooth, friendly and efficient. My IHG status was recognized and I received an upgrade to the highest floor and a premium room. The room itself wasn’t the largest, but it was beautifully designed, felt fresh and modern, and showed no signs of wear and tear. It was also spotlessly clean. A thoughtful welcome awaited me with a handwritten card, a piece of chocolate and an iced tea, which was a lovely touch. The room served its purpose perfectly for a city stay. It felt comfortable, quiet and well put together. Checkout was just as pleasant, with professional and polite staff. All in all, I can only highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a reliable and stylish stay in Dresden.

The staff were wonderful and very accommodating. Checking in was easy and very helpful. We enjoyed a couple of drinks at the bar and had really nice conversation with the super nice woman bartender. The location was very good - a great bakery/sandwich & coffee shop next door, and a fabulous restaurant w/real brewery steps away from the hotel. Not much else in the way of services & shops near the hotel however the streetcar stop is steps away from hotel & was so easy, 1 stop to the downtown area, and/or a safe & easy 10-min walk. The rooms were very clean and freshly appointed. However, we did not like the room layout as there is a divider in middle of room separating bed from seating area - this made room seem extremely tight on space. There was not enough area for 2 suitcases so that they didn't take up the limited seated area. Only other challenger was the heating control as you could not determine the degree of heating/cooling on the unmarked control dial.

Room was small, but cozy and clean. Parking garage was full, so we parked on the street in front of the hotel and it was only 6 Euros for the entire weekend. Great Park/Green Space for our dog just across from the hotel. Easy walk into the city. Nice bar and friendly staff.

Our regular stop on a trip between UK and Poland. Great location, easy access by road, good parking, close to old town. Clean, comfortable hotel with friendly staff. Nice relaxed bar area with a few basic light meal options, eg pizza, chilli, potato wedges.
John S — Google review
The hotel and rooms are very nice, although the rooms are on the smaller side. Everything is modern and clean, and the staff are friendly and polite. However – for a business trip, this hotel is really not ideal. There are very few parking spaces available, so unless you get very lucky, you’ll be driving around the block again and again trying to find somewhere to park. After a long and exhausting day, that’s the last thing you need. And another thing that really shocked me – a four-star hotel serving only frozen, pre-made meals. Honestly, I didn’t expect that. On the positive side, I truly appreciated the attentive receptionist who noticed I ordered food delivery and kindly offered me cutlery without me even asking. That said, this is of course just my personal perspective as someone who spends a lot of time on the road and in hotels. When I travel, my priorities are simple: arrive – park – have dinner – sleep – leave. This hotel only met one of those personal criteria — but to be fair, I did sleep very well. Still, for me, this will remain a one-time stay.

Beautiful interiors, clean, quite and with very polite personnel. I would definitely recommend it. Breakfast was very good and pretty comprehensive as an international breakfast. Nice detail, you’ll get your eggs a la carte done on the fly and served at your table. The cocktails bar, open at night is awesome. Very well done and served drinks, with an adequate variety. I was pretty satisfied with my stay. The only issue was the air conditioning that was not possible to actually regulate at your leasure. I felt the room a bit too warm. Someone else a bit too cold. 🙈 Location is OK, not too distant neither too close from the city center. The advantage is that’s a pretty quite location.

Clean and modern interior inside the room! The location is very close to S bahn Dresden Mitte, which takes you everywhere in the city. Or a tram/bus stop is very close to the hotel as well, super well connected! Staffs were all amazing and friendly!

Rude and incompetent reception staff. Had to pay again for a booking which had already been paid for and took forever to convince to get the refund. They run dishonest schemes at the hotel (points for stay which they do not give even if you fulfill the criteria) Untrustworthy front desk. Will not recommend to stay here.

Hotel Suitess is a luxurious property located near Altmarkt in Dresden. The hotel offers elegant rooms, suites, and apartments with handcrafted designer furniture made of brass and antique leather, exuding a unique charm. Guests can enjoy rooftop dining, a gin bar, and a spa featuring an airpool bathtub surrounded by exquisite marble. The hotel's refined ambiance and convenient location make it an ideal choice for travelers seeking an extravagant yet unconventional experience in the heart of Dresden.
We stayed in a room overlooking the church, right in the heart of the city. It was a truly atmospheric experience, especially in the early morning or late at night, when the sound of the bell echoed through the quiet. A beautiful, calming sound. The room was clean, the bed was super warm and soft, we couldn’t get up in the morning for breakfast because of really comfy bed., by the way. Breakfasts were delicious, with a good variety to choose from, something for every taste. Special thanks to Natalia at the reception she was incredibly kind and helpful, and made our stay even more pleasant. Overall, a lovely stay. Peaceful, cozy, would definitely come back.

Loved the experience! The room was great, the staff is super nice and friendly and you cannot beat the location. The spa is an added bonus. Also loved the interior of the gin room. I'll not think twice before booking this next time and it will be my goto recommendation for friends and family.

This is about traditions, this is not a new hotel, but this is its charm! It is very nice that there are places where the standards of service and communication are observed! The rooms are clean, the staff works clearly and respectfully, we witnessed that here they will not look at you that you are of a different nationality. The staff was very nice and polite, small details in the form of coffee, tea and a croissant are very pleasant. I wish this hotel many years of success and prosperity, I fell in love with my room and these windows, the breakfast was excellent. Thank you!

We went Dresden city for our official meeting. At that time our company booked the room for us. Amazing room. Friendly staff. Clean and carm environment. Highly recommended this place.❤️👍🎉

This hotel is fantastic. It has old and modern architecture. The front desk staff is friendly and speaks English fluently. The location is excellent—around all the essential places to visit in Dresden. The Martin Luther statue is close by. Several coffee shops and restaurants are nearby, just within walking distance. The only thing is that the parking is very expensive. It’s 45 Euros per night, which is almost half the price of one night.

Great location supposedly 5 star place. The prices do not match 5 star and you’ll find out why if you book here. They run a bit of a scam on the AC too…. maid slightly unlocks your window so the AC doesn’t turn on.
Shane — Google review
Unfortunately exposed to scam - thought I had made a reservation through the hotel's website, but it turned out the website was a copy-cat designed to lure customers - and apparently run as a subsidiary of Booking.com. Price on website was debited with additional US$100 service charge, without indicating this prior to charging credit card. I cannot understand how a five-star can co-operate with a company that seeks to cheat customers in such a way. Ruined my day, and staff at the hotel unfortunately unresponsive, blaming me for using the "wrong" website.

The Gewandhaus Dresden, Autograph Collection offers 97 luxurious guest rooms and suites in the heart of Dresden's baroque city center. Guests can enjoy a delightful dining experience at [m]eatery bar + restaurant, featuring dry-aged beef and fresh seafood dishes. The hotel also houses Kuchen Atelier, where guests can savor sweet pastries and cakes in a charming atmosphere with an outdoor terrace.
I usually don’t leave hotel reviews on Google Maps, as I prefer to provide feedback through the hotel’s own survey. However, I felt compelled to share my experience with this exceptional Marriott property—it truly stands out in every way. Mr. Mick gave us a warm welcome and generously upgraded us to a room with a private sauna, which made our stay even more special. The hotel exudes luxury, blending historical architecture with beautifully renovated interiors. The staff are genuinely kind and attentive, the restaurant is excellent, and the bakery is simply delightful. If you’re visiting Dresden, staying at this hotel is a must. The swimming pool area is also beautifully designed—spotlessly clean and decorated in calming tones that make it a perfect place to unwind. They didn’t just upgrade us as Platinum Elite members—they truly went above and beyond expectations. The level of hospitality we experienced at Gewandhaus Dresden was exceptional and left a lasting impression. Following our stay there, we visited the Marriott in Prague, but Gewandhaus had already set the bar so high that we found ourselves wishing we could have extended our time in Dresden instead. This property redefines what a luxury Marriott experience should feel like.
Mai S — Google review
The hotel is more of a good 3* in terms of facilities, definitely not a 5* Unfortunately, the room was in very poor condition - the toilet control did not fit, the curtain rail was peeled off, which made it difficult to shade, I was given a blanket with a hole in the bed linen. I reported everything to the reception, unfortunately I did not receive an apology. At the same time, I was told that they did not have a room to change - even though it was available on booking. Our room also had a view of the construction site - fortunately there was no noise from it during Easter. As for other hotel facilities, we used the pool. Unfortunately, not all the facilities worked here - jacuzzi, heating etc. At the same time, it happened that the sauna was not turned on or that the drinks ran out and no one refilled them. The only thing that seemed okay to me was the breakfast. But I wouldn't say it was fantastic, just up to the standards of a 5* hotel. Small variety of pastries, no spreads, no desserts... At the same time, I would expect that if you live near a construction site, someone would warn you. I did not find this information anywhere on the website before arriving, nor did the sales representative warn me over the phone. I would not visit this hotel a second time.
Adam C — Google review
The hotel is a spectacular historic building not too far from the main train station. The walk from the station takes you through an interesting shopping district with lots of food outlets. The hotel itself is very quiet, very well equipped and the staff were extremely helpful and made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was excellent, and there are several good restaurants within 50 meters of the hotel. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the main attractions of the city and the tram stops are close to the hotel. When we return I have no doubt that we'll stay here again.
Stewart L — Google review
Reserved a large king room, the room was still kind of small. The decoration is a five star hotel but the detail is like a four star hotel. There are signs everywhere asking for being environmental friendly. There’s no sanity supply, no soap bar. Coffee pod doesn’t have brand. Swimming pool is ok. Breakfast is good comparing to other hotels I stayed. Based on the price, it’s good.
Yaping M — Google review
Very friendly and helpful staff in a quiet caring subtle way. Beautiful antique/modern room and facilities. Thanks for making a traveler feel safe and comfy.

Enjoyed my week-long stay here very much. Ideal location and a fantastic, attentive staff. The rooms are comfortable and the breakfast is very good (free as Bonvoy Platinum, but no room upgrade).
Sean P — Google review
Stayed here in May 2025. The weather outside was cool and pleasant, but the rooms on the top floor of the building were quite warm. The HVAC could not keep up even during cool weather, so I would not want to stay here during the summer. Unfortunately the small single window in the small room did not really allow any air to circulate to cool the room down. The water in the shower awkwardly pulses hot and cold instead of maintaining a temperature. The location is excellent. Staff is polite and helpful, but I wouldn't want to stay here again.
Steven E — Google review
The best thing was breakfast and restaurant staff. Reception staff needs serious professional training except Cecile and Anna. We reserved a ride through hotel to Dresden Hauptbahnhof the night before for the morning departure. Next morning, taxi was late, a female staff in black outfit, who seemed to be kind of busy, running around, wasn’t trying to help until Cecile showed up, and took care of our ride. Fortunately we made it in time for our train departure thanks to Cecile. Well the point is we counted on hotel staff to assist us with our travel plan, and running into a staff who is not as efficient and helpful as Cecile or Anna brought about an unnecessary unpleasant experience. Another issue was the maintenance quality, the AC didn’t work, the shower leaked, the fridge door turned loose, we managed to fix the fridge door but neither the AC nor the shower, so we had to move to another room. Dresden is absolutely lovely, and worth another visit, but probably not another stay at Gewandhaus “Autograph” hotel.

Townhouse Dresden a Vagabond Club is housed in an 1804 building and features contemporary interior design. The hotel offers stylish restaurant and bar facilities. It is situated directly on Neumarkt Square, providing easy access to one of the main Christmas markets in Dresden. Depending on the room, guests may enjoy views of the Christmas tree, lights, and performances from their bedroom window.
We booked the classic double room and I did not know what to expect, but this room and hotel beat all expectations! Wonderful location on square with Christmas market, beautiful lobby, helpful staff and the room was amazing. Large king sized bed lots of space, desk, divan across end of bed, lounge chair, vanity room with clothes rack, bath tub, and separate room with shower and toilet. I did have a hard time finding open outlets, there was no towel warmer (but room was warm), and the bed felt short sheeted because the duvet was really tucked in (I can't get used to small personal sized duvets, and they get really hot. Just give me a sheet!) We added on breakfast our last morning as nothing was nearby and our ride was coming at 9. It was expensive 28 euros each but was a very nice buffet, with one made for you item per meal. I don't recommend the pancakes. Amenities included hair dryer and shampoo/body wash. Soap and lotion in vanity area.
Suzanne R — Google review
The good things are the location, convenient, if expensive, parking, fast lift, reasonable rooms with some drawbacks. Conversely, staff could do with a course, colour scheme will make you a manic depressive if you are not one already, WiFi lousy, no power points by bed, heating not controllable, no kettle, tea or coffee, mini bar free but nothing much in it, bathroom OK but fittings loose. Avoid the over priced and not good breakfast and go to a local cafe. Bar on 6th floor not very comfortable and the surly bar man adds nothing to the atmosphere.
John T — Google review
The location and design of the hotel were both excellent — clean, modern, and very pleasant. The room felt stylish and comfortable overall. However, the bedding was quite dusty, and one of the reception staff was rather unkind. I had to repeat myself several times because they didn’t seem to understand what I meant, which made the interaction quite frustrating. For someone working at the front desk and dealing with many guests, empathy and attentiveness felt lacking. The fitness room had good equipment, but the lighting was too dim. If it weren’t for that one unfriendly staff member, I would definitely want to stay here again.

Had a wonderful 2 night stay at the property. The location is excellent and the rooms very spacious and comfortable. The staff were always super friendly and helpful. Staying at the Townhouse made our stay In Dresden perfect

Excellent location in the middle of old town. The rooms are clean. One suggestion is more vegetation/vegan options for breakfast. Also having a toaster for bread would be good
Mihir — Google review
Tiny room in the middle of the old town. Very convenient location facing the square with plenty of bars and restaurants. Occasionally, you may hear the chattering of late returned visitors in the square. You cannot make a cup of tea in your room. TV won't connect to the internet therefore the Chromecast was useless. Breakfast is decent though. The room was cleaned daily. Won't rate it as 5-star.

We were so impressed with this place - the location, the staff, the breakfast were all incredible. We couldn’t throw a rock without hitting a point of interest - the walk ability to shops, restaurants, and sites is unbeatable. Would absolutely stay here again, and highly recommend this hotel for anyone staying in Dresden.

Our lovely, clean, modern, spacious room overlooked the Neumarkt Christmas Market. The staff were very polite and helpful, check-in and check-out were a breeze. The room was very clean and well tended to our entire stay. Would most definitely choose this location again for any travel, not just Christmas.

Guests can enjoy international cuisine at Ven Restaurant and unwind at the trendy Twist Sky Bar on the sixth floor with stunning views of Frauenkirche dome.
We had a fantastic stay at this hotel in Dresden! The location is unbeatable—just minutes away from all the major attractions, which made exploring the city incredibly convenient. The hotel has a modern, stylish look, and our room was spotlessly clean, comfortable, and fully equipped with everything we needed. The staff were all super friendly, but a special mention goes to the young lady at the reception—she was absolutely lovely, so helpful, and genuinely welcoming. She made our check-in experience smooth and left a great first impression that stayed with us throughout our visit. From the excellent service to the perfect location and facilities, everything was spot on. A truly 5-star experience—highly recommended!
Vahid A — Google review
The location of this hotel is absolutely perfect, just a short walk from stunning churches and beautiful architecture, which made exploring the city very pleasant. Room was spacious and very quiet, had a great view and the bed was comfortable. We liked the designer furniture. Blackout curtains were really blacking out the room. However, the bathroom was a letdown. There was black mold in the shower, which is just unacceptable. The concept of having sliding doors that could open to the bedroom was nice, but in reality, the doors didn’t close properly, which made it frustrating to use. Breakfasts were disappointing. They were definitely not worth the price, the coffee was very bad and the selection of food was very limited, with almost no vegetables. Service was good, but we didn’t like that the receptionist invited us to park in the garage without mentioning that it came with an extra fee. We were surprised with this fee and we didn’t know about it until we wanted to leave. We would probably park there anyway, but it definitely should be more transparent. Overall, we liked the hotel, but the mold in the shower was a deal breaker. We wanted to stay longer in Dresden and ended up switching to another hotel instead.

Super disappointing. I booked a room with two beds which this hotel offered. That was the reason I picked the hotel over others. During check in I was told a larger group of people checked in and they could not honor the booking of a room with two beds. We were told they would upgrade us the second night and we’d have a room with two beds and we never heard back about it. The room was fine other than that it was not what we booked. The soap dispenser didn’t work and I requested a new one but only got refill soap with no dispenser. I shared that this didn’t help and they said they had no more soap dispensers. Hard to believe for a Hotel. The room was not cleaned until 4:30pm when we were getting ready for dinner which was another inconvenience. Spa area was nice. Breakfast had variety but nothing was great quality, very basic also the breakfast area was overcrowded. Would not recommend this hotel or stay again despite the great location and nice gym and spa.
Laura S — Google review
Great place and beautiful and clean hotel. Had a decent breakfast and was in a great location. A/C could not go lower than 20 degrees so that made it warm in the room during summer but overall a great hotel experience.
Tony S — Google review
We stayed two nights in this lovely hotel and enjoyed each moment. The friendly service, very well equipped and clean rooms not to forget to mention a delious breakfast for a good start into the day framed the visit of this nice town. The tram is close by, but a number of tourist features are within walking distance.
Thorsten T — Google review
The location of the hotel is very central and you can walk to many of the city attractions. The rooms are alright but far from a four star hotel. The breakfast buffet is mediocre and the staff at the buffet were everything but friendly.
Mh. W — Google review
Right in the Altstadt. Short walk to Frauenkirche, Neumarkt, Zwinger, Brühlsche Terrasse and the Elbe, and also to the trams and shopping to the south. We liked our room very much, it had plenty of seating to relax in, enough room to move around in, and outlets for our chargers. Bathroom is nice, too. The beer, wine, water and juice in the refrigerator mini-bar is complimentary, and they restock it when they do the room. Breakfast is good enough and the staff keeps the buffet stocked. The staff is very helpful and friendly! There were a few steps to our room right before the door, and between the entry and the bedroom, but other rooms are more accessible. If that's an issue for you, be sure to ask about it. It wasn't for us. The steps in the room have subtle red lighting so you know where they are in the dark. My point is, sometimes you get a room and you think they never tried living in it, it's so poorly planned. This was not one of those rooms.
Martin F — Google review
On arrival (15:00) my room wasn’t ready. Wifi not available, airco doesn’t cool, bar closed, restaurant closed and no lights in the corridors because they have computer problems. So. Great location in the city center.

The highlight of your visit will undoubtedly be the stunning gallery-like lobby adorned with colorful artwork by A R Penck, a celebrated post-war German artist.

Brilliant location, professional staff, beautiful design. I will definitely be happy to return to this hotel.

Just don’t go here. You are wasting your time even considering it, unless you’d like to have a disappointing experience. This hotel is outdated hospitality at its finest. The decor is weird, and excessive. There is a strange atmosphere given with the promiscuity of many things in the washroom and bedroom. The cleaning of the rooms is horrible. They were dustier and dustier after each day despite “cleaning”. There is no parking available, unless you pay an additional €18 a day. The desk was incredibly uninformed about the details of our stay which was booked with them as the official accommodation for a a large event. This makes no sense as they had 200+ people residing in their hotel for over a week, you think this would be organized and coordinated well with the employees for top quality service. We had called and notified their team well in advance of our arrival about our service dog, as well as upon our arrival we had given the front desk all the pertinent information, requesting they inform their team regarding our service dog, who would be well marked at all times as a medical alert response. We live in 2025 and I was verbally harassed by an employee for not staying away from other guests because I use a service dog. She approached us in the dining hall telling us to go back the other way and that we needed to sit elsewhere with 0 explanation other than saying the dog cannot come here. We asked her to please go and get clarification from her supervisor or the front desk as we had already informed them about the dog. We had been eating in this dining hall for the last 4 days straight without a problem with the other employees. As someone with a disability, who uses a medically trained dog to most easily function in society, I felt totally singled out and embarrassed as this employee began raising her voice and shouting “No” at us as we asked her to speak outside the restaurant. Several of my colleagues were all around watching this situation occur just to add to the discomfort. As my husband simply began telling her to please come with him to discuss the situation else where the employee began throwing her hands in the air and shouting “HEY, STOP, get back here now”. I followed my husband outside and she ended up trudging behind us while making a scene with her stomping and puffing. No sooner another employee interjected as the previous employee kept yelling from behind. We explained that we were here to be working and have already made the hotel aware of the service dog multiple times. We were going to sit with our colleague which ironically ended up being near the table she demanded we sit at, so had she of just not said anything the issue would have likely not even happened. After all of this; if you are still following my situation you will be horrified to know that I asked to speak with the manager to no response, as I wanted to discuss their disability policy and how they strive to accommodate guests with disabilities. Since we live in the 21st century and this is basic, non negotiable philosophy for the hospitality industry businesses. After following up several times with the front desk I received no response or contact from the manager, despite the multiple requests and providing my contact details for convenience. The front desk even questioned my request after the second time saying the problem is solved, no? I take their lake of care and concern as further prejudice towards individuals with disabilities. It was a completely horrific situation that should never happen and should have been immediately rectified. The worker at the very least should have had to apologize. At the very very least. Soooo, unless you want to support a business that doesn’t have basic care or decency for human beings, you should leave a 1 star review in the name of forcing them to do better and confront their mistakes. I would like to add there was one very kind woman at the dining hall who made the experience less painful when we had look at the other woman or should we say aggressor.

The Staff and Hotel are wonderful! Mrs Wagner was especially kind and welcoming, she helped with directions, suggestions and making my first day wonderful. I’m visiting from Chicago.
Kymberly T — Google review
Beautiful hotel, Penck's fans will love it. Unfortunatelly not super comfortable or functional for the quality of the bed and the disposition of spaces inside the room that sacrifice the comfort for the tasteful interior design. Internet absent or slow, not a lot of soap in the room, gardrobe quite difficult to reach, no sitting place and a bathroom full of mirrors (some in odd positions) with a quite uncomfortable round sink. Still, 3 stars as the design is really something unique.
Fabio C — Google review
Hotel was not clean. Room and toilet were dirty, bed linen had stains and was yellow. Definitely not up to 4-star standards. Staff were nice and friendly, but we were given a room next to the elevator so it was very noisy. On top of that, the hotel is close to train tracks, so constant train noise makes it hard to sleep. Wouldn’t recommend if you are sensitive to noise. The hotel is within walking distance to the city center so that was the only good thing about it.

Be aware! Our room was almost blooming with mold. Mold in the water kettel, under the shower, some stains next to bed with their own Universum growing on. What a dissapointment and health hazard.

The Romantik Hotel Bülow Residenz is a charming and elegant property located in Dresden's trendy Neustadt neighborhood. Housed in an 18th-century building, the hotel offers traditional design and old-world charm. Situated near the Neustadt Christmas Market, it provides an ideal location for a festive holiday experience. Guests can enjoy free Wi-Fi and access to the neighboring Bülow Palais spa and fitness center for a fee.
We really liked the spaciousness of the room. The room, and property, is quiet, very clean, and tastefully decorated. The front desk staff were always friendly and informative. The breakfast isn't inexpensive but great if you value a quality meal. They also easily accommodate people who are celiac with gluten free options for breakfast. The hotel is not in the old town but this is a plus as there are more non-touristy restaurant options this side of the river. It is a very short walk into town and very close to trams and Neustadt train station.

A flawless stay defined by impeccable service. The hotel is charming, quiet, and exceptionally well-appointed. Bedroom linen is very soft, room spotless clean and all staff is very attentive and friendly. I came because of the weekly discount. Probably wouldn't be able to come in full price but rather than that I cannot fault anything.

Great hotel with an amazing breakfast! Room was spacious with a great bath. Attention to detail was here and well done. The location is perfect, in a nice quiet neighborhood with nice buildings and close to the old city centre too. Perfect hotel overall!

Warm, welcoming and professional staff. The hotel is historic and beautiful. Our room was memorable, well appointed, very clean, large and quiet. We appreciated the location in a quiet neighborhood with a good selection of restaurants nearby. It’s an easy walk into the main area of the city. Another visit to Dresden would mean another stay here—top choice.

Really great place to stay, and St Nicolas visited on 6th! Very helpful staff, lovely breakfast. Very close to Christmas Markets, although there are many nearby restaurants, when the markets are on they can be booked up. Think about it before starting the day, the reception team would have helpful advice, they felt that they may have been able to help, but we’d already used the markets!

I've mixed reviews about this hotel. My biggest complaint is that they didn't have a receptionist on Sundays or after 5pm. I had to use the intercom to the sister hotel to get in. No, on-site gym or even a bar. Not what I would call 4 star. However when staff where their, they where very friendly and helpful. Lovely rooms and internet worked well enough for me to do my work. Nice location with good options for places to eat. Would I stay here again? Yes, if the price was rite.

Huge rooms and a big bathroom. It's definitely not new but very well maintained. Friendly staff. Almost no noise! Good price for what you get. Can highly recommend. Nice hotel in the baroque quarter, just a few steps away from the Augustus bridge and the old town and all of the great sight seeing Dresden offers. The area offers a lot of nice little shops where you can find unique stuff like old books, tailored suits and antiques.

Hilton Dresden is a modern hotel located in the heart of the old town, providing easy access to various attractions. The lodging offers Italian, Japanese, and Californian dining options along with amenities like a pool and gym. While some guests found the room facilities to be slightly dated, they were overall satisfied with the cleanliness and spaciousness of the rooms. The hotel's prime location was highly praised as it allowed for convenient exploration of nearby dining and shopping options.
Excellent location – everything is just a stone’s throw away. I booked this place for the location and the sauna area, and it did not disappoint. The staff were very friendly, the rooms were clean and quiet, and it felt perfect for a solo traveler. There’s a parking garage right below the hotel, and you’ll find plenty of restaurants and shopping options in the immediate area.

Learning about Dresden’s history before visiting made the trip even more enjoyable, and we were lucky to be there during a local festival, which made our experience more special. Most of the hotel staff were kind, and the location is excellent — very central and convenient for sightseeing. However, we had a few issues during our 2-night stay. The daytime temperature was over 30°C, but the air conditioning in our room was not working. On the first night, it was so hot that we couldn’t sleep well. When we asked the staff, they said it was an automatic system and would turn on once it got hotter. Unfortunately, it turned out the AC was broken. On the second day, it got even hotter—to the point where it was difficult to breathe, and even after taking a shower, we were sweating again. We informed the staff once more and were finally told the AC was malfunctioning. Although they offered to move us to another room late at night, we were already exhausted from a full day of sightseeing and had too much luggage to move, so we ended up staying in the same room. We couldn’t sleep well either night due to the heat. Also, the swimming pool is too deep for children. I would not recommend this hotel for families traveling with young kids who enjoy swimming.

As my friend is a member here, we stayed for 3 nights during our visit for the first time. The hotel looks nice from outside, inside the room is simple as pretty old hotel. However, the bed is comfortable, same as at other Hilton brands as the Hilton standard. The service is nice at the reception upon check in throughout checking out. The executive lounge is small but nice, happy hour is from 6-8pm, the food and drinks are adequate. The breakfast is good, however, the Asian breakfast is minimal. Otherwise all good. The facility like gyms, hot&steam sauna are good, the swimming is ok. The location is good, just in the center of the old town. Many restaurants surrounded by and great sunset spot by the river. Overall we had a good experience here.

stayed at the Hilton Dresden for about five nights for academic reasons, as I had to take an important exam. I chose this hotel because I wanted a comfortable, quiet stay with modern facilities and service that matched Hilton’s international reputation. Unfortunately, my experience fell far short of these expectations, and I feel it is important to share my feedback. Although I appreciated being assigned a room with a nice view, my request for a higher floor was not met, as I was placed on the second floor. This would have been a minor issue if not for the more serious problems I encountered. The bathroom was particularly disappointing: the toilet had a strong smell of urine, indicating a lack of proper cleaning, which is unacceptable for a hotel of this standard. Additionally, the shower experience was poor, with fluctuating water temperature and pressure making it uncomfortable to use. Overall, the bathroom facilities felt outdated and unworthy of Hilton’s brand image. Another major downside was discovering that access to the pool comes with an additional €3 per day charge. I find this policy unreasonable and disappointing, especially for a hotel of this category, and it was the first time I had ever been charged to use a pool after staying in dozens of hotels worldwide. This practice, along with other extra charges —such as for umbrella rentals—, left a negative impression. Breakfast also failed to meet expectations, offering limited variety and basic presentation for the price charged. As for the hotel bar, while the atmosphere was pleasant, the cocktails were underwhelming; for instance, the caipirinha lacked flavor and the Cuba Libre had little alcohol. Overall, Hilton Dresden does not live up to the Hilton name. My stay felt comparable to a standard three-star hotel, yet at a much higher price point. I would not return to this property and cannot recommend it.
Vicente E — Google review
I've stayed at a few Hilton hotels but I have to say this was probably my least favourite. The room was okay but the staff were not friendly. We paid to have access to the lounge which was nice but the staff not so much The location was lovely and I enjoyed the many restaurants and shops around the hotel. Disappointingly I did have some items taken from my room, I'd bought a few keyrings and bracelets from a local shop and after the first day the cleaners had been in they were gone. Obviously I have no proof as these were left in the cupboard above the fridge rather than the safe. Very annoyed as the bracelets were for the evening event that was taking place that night.

Old non renovated rooms. Air conditioning non existent. Untrained staff struggling with most of the things. Shower water temperature keeps fluctuating between hot and cold. Rooms need deep cleaning. Great location and the building looks great from the outside. Everything else is rotten.

just have to come to Dresden for business very often and I do want to enjoy the gold membership benefits…but you don’t feel the staff treated you differently. Even coming here so often they stay insist to see my ID…I just wonder if they couldn’t see me visiting here every week in the system? The reception might have the worst attitude I have seen among all the hiltons I have seen .. two starts for breakfast and fitness team..they are very friendly…

Excellent location in middle of old town, gym has many different static machines. Rooms a little cozy but bed and pillows are excellent. Room controls actually say "cooling only", but the entire building is kept at a good warm temperature. Got a good deal on the business floor as well.

Nestled on the banks of the River Elbe, Schloss Eckberg is a 19th-century Tudor-style palace set in 15 hectares of parkland. The hotel offers refined rooms with high-class furnishings and antiques, providing guests with an exclusive stay in a fairytale-like castle. With stunning views of the Elbe valley and surrounded by ancient trees, it's an ideal destination for a romantic getaway or a peaceful retreat.
Do you want to stay in a castle, yes please?! I had an amazing stay at Schloss Eckberg. The grounds were stunning and well kept. The find was delicious and delightful. I would highly recommend starting here if you are ever in Dresden, Germany.

Small rooms, relatively clean. Some dust can be found on the tops of cabinets. Some rooms smell like poorly cleaned toilets. Standard beds, furniture and rooms. The rooms are no longer modern and the mini bar is not great either. The paper label for real water was left without a water bottle. It was very strange. In general, good rooms with a garden view. Great park. The breakfast was fresh and the area were very well organized. The only thing I don't understand is why there were no paper napkins.

What a magical property, with beautiful castles and good restaurants on site. We had ground floor room which was on the smaller side, but very comfortable and clean with a modern updated bathroom. Couldn’t want for more and at such a great price. Had called saying it was our anniversary and they put us in the room right next to the entrance, they could have been more thoughtful and situated our room a bit better. Even just left a note in the room, those little things bring 5 stars. There is free parking onsite which is a major plus and busses that take you straight to the heart of town in about 10 mins. Would definitely return in the future.

So I made a booking for this hotel specifically because it was advertised as a castle, but imagine what a surpise i had when I found out we are not staying there, but in another building, which looks like an hospital inside. The room has hard flooring, no carpet and overall looks unwelcoming. Also for this price they have no AC. The surroundings are beautiful and the castle, but I DEFINITELY DO NOT recommend, just come, take some pictures and go somewhere else for that money.

One of the best hotels in town, comfortable rooms, great garden area, one can have breakfast at the terrace (open from 6am) and get one of the bests views of the city, prices are fair, breakfast buffet is one of the best I’ve tried, coffee hast to be ordered and it’s served at the table (they make also capuchino) staff if very friendly and fast. Highly recommend.

Hotel Villa Sorgenfrei is a refined and charming inn located on the Saxon Wine Trail in Radebeul, Germany. The hotel boasts antique furnishings and exudes romance and history in every room. Guests can enjoy free Wi-Fi, breakfast, and dine at the high-end Restaurant Atelier Sanssouci. Surrounded by enchanting gardens and vineyards, this historic hotel offers a rustic charm that is perfect for special occasions like weddings.
The moment I stepped into the hotel, I felt like I had entered another world. Every corner, adorned with stunning architecture and vintage details, seemed to be lost in time. The warm, intimate atmosphere spread a sense of tranquility that touched my soul. No matter how tired I was, I was captivated by the magic of this place. But there was one issue... I had made a reservation mistake when I arrived at the hotel. It was my fault. However, the team was so kind and helpful that they found an immediate solution. This showed me just how powerful sincerity and helpfulness can be. The warm smiles on everyone’s faces and Christin’s wonderful attitude made this hotel something entirely different. My time was limited, but I couldn’t shake the feeling that I wished I could stay longer. The peace I found in the attic room was indescribable. When I looked out the window, I felt like I was in the middle of a fairytale. Far from the city, there was only the serenity of nature. The vintage touches in the room transported me to past times. It even reminded me of Anne from the show Anne with an E. After breakfast, strolling through the garden was a unique experience. Surrounded by the colors of autumn, this area felt like a dream. With every step, watching the dance of nature was the essence of peace. The flavors I tasted in the restaurant were like a door opening to another world. A vegetarian breakfast not only satisfied my taste buds but nourished my soul as well. But then, I couldn’t help but realize how quickly time had passed, and when it was time to leave, I found myself in a very emotional moment. As I said goodbye to the hotel, my eyes filled with tears. Because this wasn’t just a hotel; I had become a part of it. It was a place that nourished my soul, transported me to another world, and carried a new story in every corner. As I left, I knew that the traces of that warm atmosphere would stay with me for a long time. Thank you for everything. I will return one day.

I usually don't complain too much but I find it a bit strange that they start renovating the hallway IN FRONT of my door around 8 o'clock in the morning, with a radio on and work noises. I can understand that maintenance and work has to be done, but it's a hotel, so maybe another time or with a warning maybe? I then wouldn't have bothered that much and go to sleep a bit earlier. Nevertheless, for the rest everything was OK, and I was suppressed with free coffee to-go in the morning at the entrance. It's also great that there is a grocery store next door, ideal for a functional stay.

lhave a horrible experience with the equipment and treatment of the hotel... When I checked in I found there is no hot water in the wash basin. It's okay. But when my girlfriend having bath, there is hot water but just for 5 mins. And then turns into totally cold. I try many times to solve the problem but there is still cold, and my girlfriend is having a bad cold now because of the cold water temperature. And I try to contact the reception but there is no one answered (reception service will end at 22:00) So I come out of my house( It's a frozen winter evening) and I found a lady in the reception. But even if she comes to my room she still can't solve that. And she take me to another house, to another room and let me have a quick shower. But when I try the temperature it's also no hot water hhhh. And I come to reception and have a long argument with the receptionist, and they finally gave me 20% discount for the price. And there is another thing about unprofessional treatment. I have not order a breakfast, and the hotel and waiters know about that. But after check in they just ask me when will we have breakfast in our room. (we just watched in the hotel's website and in the description of the hotel they say there is a free breakfast for guests. we don't know there is a fee for them taking the breakfast to our room and we don't know we have an option to have breakfast in the restaurant of the hotel) They seem force me to buy the breakfast. It's the worst experience of staying in a hotel. I chose the hotel for the good design and wonderful bathtub. But I was soooo disappointed and I won't come to Dresden anymore.

Where do i begin?! We celebrated our wedding here this past summer and the staff at the Villa made the entire experience so memorable and special. The Villa is stunning. It has that rustic charm and every corner of the Villa is more beautiful than the next. It was perfect for capturing some of our wedding photos. We stayed in the Garden Suite and it was so charming and very spacious. From the moment we arrived to leaving it was such a peaceful atmosphere and all of the staff were so helpful, cheerful and a pleasure to be around. We appreciate the attention to detail from the flower arrangement on the table to the food and our wedding cake! Thank you so much for everything and we cannot wait to come back as a tradition to celebrate our anniversaries here in the future. I highly recommend the Villa for a beautiful and memorable setting for an intimate wedding.

Very nice small hotel in authentic looking villa. Expect no high tech or design. The rooms and beds are good and have a great charm. The bathroom could use an upgrade. One point to consider is the hotels restaurant has a Michelin star. Great of course, but when staying longer or for business that might put your budget under pressure (menu starting from 79 to over 100 euro). There is a lounge but no bar to mingle in the evening. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I would love to come back.

I'm staying at this hotel for a few days at the hotel and I wanted to share my experience. First we wanted to have lunch at the hotel restaurant. While the atmosphere was pleasant, there were a few aspects that left me disappointed. At the start of our visit, we asked a waitress for the menu rather than waiting for someone to approach our table. I admit this might not have been entirely appropriate, but what stood out—and not in a positive way—was that another waitress responded with a clear head-shaking gesture, which came across as unwelcoming and a bit unprofessional. The most uncomfortable part of our experience occurred when paying the bill. Our own room number didn’t work for payment, so we had to use the room number of the person who had paid for the rooms. However, that person wasn’t present to provide a signature, which led to an awkward situation. One of the staff members audibly sighed, which felt dismissive and unprofessional. I eventually paid in cash, which I had to go back to my room to get, but by that point the whole situation had created an unpleasant atmosphere. Due to this experience, I am hesitant to dine at the restaurant again during my stay. I hope that this feedback can help improve the service for future guests That being said, the food and drinks arrived quickly, and everything else was fine. Still, paying €27 for two currywurst and two sparkling waters felt excessive and unreasonable. Throughout the visit, we couldn’t shake the feeling that we were treated differently because we weren’t German. This added to the sense of discomfort and left us feeling unwelcome. Apart from the restaurant experience, the hotel itself was great—our rooms were clean and comfortable, the location is beautiful, and everything was well-maintained.
M L — Google review
There is literally nothing in the room, no iron, no robes no way to make tea/coffee. When we asked for robes, they said it would be five euro each. Sauna access is also five euros. They charge for everything as even the basic service is considered extra, which is not inline with the stars the hotel claims to have. I would not recommend as customer satisfaction seems not to be their priority.

Excellent experience we too the family suite which was big and comfortable. The hotel is right at the edge of the old city 5 min walk. Still Some room for improvement- in the order there were bath tub and shower but didnt mention these are in the same wet room . No much sense having it together so we couldnt take this in advantage. The bed matress was too hard and shame tbat we did not get queen sized bed for parents , and they cant have sepatated beds for kids only a large sofa bed. Which .is weird since room is set for 4 adults. Breakfast was great but poor lunch/dinner / room service menu

Great hotel in a convenient location in Dresden’s Old Town! The room size was perfect for two people with two large suitcases. We really appreciated having a decent AC during this summer’s heatwave. A minor downside was the parking — the directions to the correct garage were a bit confusing, and it can be full at night. Fortunately, the front desk directed us to a nearby public parking lot.

A great hotel in the very center of the city. Within walking distance from the sights no more than 10 minutes. Also near the hotel there are public transport stops. The railway station is 14 minutes leisurely. And easy to get from the airport. A huge shopping center is a five-minute walk away, as well as many cafes and restaurants around. The room has everything you need. I was very pleased with the presence of a mini-kitchen with a kettle, coffee maker, refrigerator, oven and mini-bar, every day they reported a sufficient number of capsules for the coffee machine, daily cleaning and change of towels. Cold drinks and sweets were offered every day in the hotel lobby. A small thing but very nice. We will be happy to stay at this hotel again. Everything was great.

Location is ideal - walking distance to Zwinger or Dresden castle. Huge underground public parking with the elevator to the hotel. The parking system is a bit tricky though, as there's a separate ticket is issued by public parking and another one - by the machine at hotel's part of the parking. However, the receptionists explain everything in details, so it's not a big deal. Breakfast is full of options, very generous. The bar is on the second floor and you can enjoy the view with a glass of something nice.

We stayed here for one night, we book room late, but key was prepared for us in about 7 minutes. Bathroom was smelling like a dirt, i can’t describe that smell but was not pleasurable. Bedside that all is Ok

Excellent location in the middle of historic city center, walking distance to all main attractions. Rooms are big, clean and comfortable, the only reason for 4 stars for the rooms is somewhat old decorations style. The hotel has a spacious parking and room for bicycles.

Great service, easy check in and check out. The room is great. Bathroom is clean. Dishwasher, washing machine, kitchen etc ready to use

Perfect locality and even better staff. One of the best receptionest I have ever seen, super kind and helpful. And a very good breakfast too...
Jiří H — Google review
Getting there from the train station is very easy. It took a little time, about 20 minutes on foot, and the main route passes through the city center, which, in my opinion, is a big and pleasant plus. The room is very neat and pleasant. Quite spacious. We were mistakenly placed in a room smaller than we had booked, but this issue was resolved efficiently with the staff at the reception. The bathroom is also neat and comfortable. The active hood is somewhat loud, but it doesn't bother you at all when you're in the main room. The downside is that there was no (or we didn’t find, although we looked everywhere possible) tea for brewing in the room, but there was an electric kettle. Sound insulation is really good. Perhaps one of the best I have seen while traveling through different countries. Either we were just lucky and there were few neighbors or they were quiet, but in any case, in this aspect it was as comfortable as possible: no one and nothing disturbed a restful sleep. The reception staff are incredibly friendly, welcoming and chatty. It was nice to chat. Those small problems or questions that arose were resolved as quickly and efficiently as possible. The location is simply gorgeous. Whichever way you go, you will be surrounded by the beauty of the center. Most attractions in the center of Dresden can be reached within 1-3 minutes on foot. There are also a huge number of cafes and restaurants around.

It was great experience. The service was great, polite, friendly and helpful. We came before our booking time and they kept our luggage on safe place. The hotel is actually like small apartment. Small modern kitchen with stove, microwave, pots and mugs and also some beverage. Modern bathroom. Large size of bedroom, nice and clean. Quiet area in the center of Dresden. Me and my partner enjoyed the visit and also will highly recommend.

Situated in Dresden Old Town, the Semperoper is a renowned opera house known for its opulent interior and exceptional acoustics. Originally built in 1841 by architect Gottfried Semper, it has a rich history including destruction by fire in 1869 and bombing in 1945. Despite these setbacks, the opera house was rebuilt and continues to host spectacular performances. The 1,300-seat auditorium offers an intimate setting with excellent views from every seat.
Great architecture! Just minutes away from Dresden Old Town, Frauenkirchen, and much more.

Very impressive building, both interior as well as exterior-wise. If you are an opera-fan, than you definitely have to visit this place. We decided to attend it on short notice, hence only seats with very restrictive were left, but to buy well in advance. Still very much recommendable!
Tymoteusz M — Google review
We booked a tour to see inside the opera house, with English speaker guide. It last only 45 minutes, the guy explained pretty much what he wanted to say. In order to take pics you have to get a permission sticker for 3 euros per person. Basically, only 2 rooms we saw which was the entrance room and the main hall.
Pasan S — Google review
It is a magnificent opera house with beautiful architecture. The interior (especially ceiling) is also breathtaking. We have seen some ballet, Staatskapelle and musical performances before, and they were truly amazing.
Don P — Google review
We attended Elisabeth – Das Musical at the Semperoper and had an absolutely spectacular evening, even with the most affordable tickets. The performance, the atmosphere, and the historic setting all came together for a truly memorable experience. Even though we don’t speak German, the musical was still thoroughly enjoyable—impressive vocals, moving music, and stunning stage design helped tell the story beautifully. It was a perfect way to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary. We went for the 7 PM summer show, which worked out wonderfully as we could enjoy a drink at the open-air foyer before the performance and during intermission. The elegant surroundings and warm weather added to the charm of the evening. If you’re in Dresden, catching a performance here is a must—even if you don’t understand the language. It’s an experience you won’t forget!

Nestled in the heart of Dresden, the Occidental Dresden Newa is a modern hotel that boasts stunning floor-to-ceiling windows and sleek design. With 319 well-appointed rooms offering picturesque views of the city, this property is perfect for both families and solo travelers alike. Guests can indulge in relaxation at the hammam or enjoy delightful meals at the on-site dining options and bar.
In the Prime location, just 5 minutes from the Central station. A four star hotel with great amenities. We were on the 12th floor and the views outside were great. There is a restaurant downstairs and many cafes around the hotel. Online check in was not working as the Hotel is new under Barcelo group. It would have been great if there was a hot water kettle in the room.
Ashish D — Google review
Nice room, clean and quiet, I think it’s a culture thing here that the curtain isn’t completely blocking sunlight. Shower is strong and with hot water. Staff are very nice and friendly answering my questions.
Kev C — Google review
Buyer beware, new ownership only seems to care about profitability. They do not market the size of beds they have in the property but other sites represent king size beds. This property only has single-sized beds (seperated or next to each other) and queen size beds. This property also only has single size duvets. No refrigerators in the room. No kettles in the rooms. Air conditioning works mediocre at best. At night they do not turn the lights on in the hallways so it just feels creepy. Be prepared for housekeeping to just knock on your door and open your door, no matter what you're doing inside. After compound of events put me in a bad mood I elevated this to a complaint with management. To which I was offered an insignificant discount, and at that point I was over it, tired of wasting my time, ruining my mood and just left to be done with the situation. What's ironic is that I'm half German and after my experience at Occidental Dresden Newa, I couldn't wait to get out of Germany and have no desire to go back.
REI — Google review
I stayed at Occidental Dresden Newa and had several disappointing experiences. First, there was no Wi-Fi in the room during most of my stay, which was very inconvenient. I needed it for work, and if I had known about this problem, I would have chosen another hotel. Second, the laundry service was only offered per piece, at about €6 for a single shirt — not practical for longer stays. Finally, the hotel never responded to my email regarding a partial refund. On the positive side, the breakfast was very good. Overall, poor communication and the lack of essential services made the stay disappointing.
Boris A — Google review
Awful experience....checking in and out process very slow...staff don't seem interested. No kettle in the rooms. Car parking is awful, we were sent to different car parks by different staff...no one new that roads were closed so we went round in circles ending up back at the hotel 3 times before we were sent somewhere else. We were a large group each with 8 cars between us and none of the group could find the car parks....very stressful stay.

Nestled in the heart of Dresden, ibis Dresden Zentrum is a budget-friendly hotel that offers a comfortable retreat for travelers. With its straightforward rooms and convenient amenities, including complimentary Wi-Fi and a lively bar, guests can unwind after exploring the city's rich history. Just a short stroll from iconic landmarks like Zwinger Palace and Semperoper Opera House, this hotel places you right in the vibrant old town area.
The hotel is very central in Dresden. Just a short walk from both the bus station and main train station. Plenty of shops by the cafes etc by the hotel. Then the river and cathedral etc are only a short 15/20 minutes walk. Where there is plenty of choice for bars and restaurants. My room was on the 5th floor and was a large double room with a sofa
Malcolm C — Google review
Yes, this hotel is extremely dated, and the rooms and beds are not terribly comfortable. But it's a great value, the location is very convenient both to the Old Town and Main Station, and the Soviet-era architecture is really something to behold. It's clean, safe, and gets the job done. 4/5.
Jacob O — Google review
The location of Ibis Dresden is definitely its strongest asset, central, easily accessible, and perfect for getting around the city. However, I found the rooms and service to be underwhelming and not quite up to expectations. If convenience is your top priority, this place delivers, but don’t expect much in terms of comfort or hospitality
Sunita K — Google review
Use this for a few days in Dresden where you spend your time exploring the lovely city. Only reason for 4 star is the price/value ratio. Rooms were clean, but as small as you'd expect at this price range. Nice and comfortable beds, but AC was a joke. Luckily the windows can open and at 10th level the noise from the streets was low. Breakfast was a nightmare. Crowded, very noisy and the food was quite bland. Cheaper and better to get downtown (and not included by default). Friendly staff at the reception.
Michael A — Google review
This hotel is UNCLEAN. There were multiple hairs on the pillow, hairdryer, and in the shower, as well as a mystery sock under the bed that neither belonged to my roommate nor me. After leaving this hotel, my hair started falling out and I was diagnosed with ringworm (fungal infection of scalp) a few weeks later. I’m not sure if I picked it up from the pillow or shower but I’m pretty confident that it originated here. I understand that Ibis is a budget hotel, so I wasn’t expecting anything except the bare minimum clean room (which I did not receive.) Unless you want a bald, oozing head and some new fungus friends, stay far away from this hotel.
Johan S — Google review
(Germany) Well well...the classic rude reception service, that seems to be a national sport. Besides that, the hotel itself needs renovation. It is not necessary a place to feel good, but more like 'somewhere to sleep overnight and leave soon'
Krisk K — Google review
The only good thing about this hotel is that it’s in the centre, 10-15 minute walk to the river. Our receptionist was very rude when I came to ask for help because the card didn’t open my room. We’ve been in the restaurant for dinner for 1,5-2 hours, we only got the soup in the first hour. Waiters were understaffed. The food was boring and had no taste, but the breakfast was great. I don’t think I would come back.

Nestled along the picturesque banks of the Elbe River, the Bilderberg Bellevue Hotel Dresden offers a delightful blend of luxury and comfort. Guests can enjoy stunning views of Dresden's baroque old town, famously known as the Canaletto View. The hotel features a variety of accommodations, from chic standard rooms to an opulent Presidential Suite complete with a cozy fireplace and separate living spaces.
Perfect hotel for a weekend Dresden or as a stopover on a longer journey. Service is five star plus. We travel with a special needs child and the staff is on all asppects very helpful. Breakfast is very good, especialle the diversity in food. We love the freshly baked rolls. Furthermore fresh fruits and vegeyables and always some specialty salad from the house. Rooms are modern, comfortable, well equipped and well maintained. Hotel lies next to the Elbe and the old bridge to the center. To the city centre you only have to cross the Elbe over the old bridge, which anyway you should do during your stay because of the view. In short, highly recommended.

Clean and nice, felt luxurious after several hours in the car. For an extra fee, access to a spacious pool, which was appreciated by the whole family. Within walking distance to beautiful Dresden. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

A perfect hotel to explore Dresden by foot. So close to the old town. Comfortable rooms, amazing breakfast buffet. Would most definitely stay here again.
Heidi U — Google review
The hotel is truly in the heart of the city — an excellent location! It’s within walking distance of both the Old Town and the New Town, as well as museums and churches, which makes it perfect for exploring Dresden. I didn’t have the chance to try the pool or fitness center, but everything else exceeded my expectations. The rooms are spacious, and the minibar selection is surprisingly good. Cleanliness was outstanding, and even the guest slippers were of high quality. There was also a coffee machine in the room with plenty of complimentary coffee options, which was a nice touch. I made my reservation through lastminute.de and had no issues at all. The reception staff were all very friendly and welcoming, which made my stay even more pleasant. If I ever visit Dresden again, this hotel will definitely be at the top of my list
Deniz Ö — Google review
The whole hotel and the rooms are maintained very well and in good condition. Housekeeping service is impeccable as well. Enjoyed the view and proximity to the town centre, as well as numerous dining options around the hotel. The tram service is just two minutes away, very convenient for commuting. I will return!
Vinay S — Google review
This hotel’s glory days are long gone. There is no real restaurant, just a bar pretending to be one, serving simple dishes on bare tables without tablecloths. I wouldn’t choose it again for 150 euros. I expected much more from a hotel like this. They didn’t bring our luggage. To get to the parking, you have to walk 100 meters along the street. Overall, I do not recommend it at this price.

Nestled in the charming district of Oberlossnitz, the Radisson Blu Park Hotel & Conference Centre, Dresden Radebeul is a delightful retreat just a short drive from Dresden Airport. This inviting property features two on-site restaurants serving local cuisine and offers ample event space for gatherings. Guests can unwind in the luxurious spa, complete with an indoor pool, sauna, and steam room—perfect for relaxation after a day of exploring nearby attractions like the Military History Museum or Karl May Museum.
Radebeul is a really nice suburb of Dresden and the Radisson is a great place to stay whilst there. The grounds of the hotel are well kept and the rooms we stayed in were clean and spacious. On the whole, we had a very enjoyable stay but I do have a few minor criticisms. The main one is that the pillows were very lumpy and uncomfortable (please buy new ones)! We were on the first floor of Anna Villa and there were the usual inconsiderate guests slamming doors and seemingly stamping their feet above and below us. Parking is €16 per day in the hotel’s garage. For a two night stay, we decided to park on a local side street and save ourselves €32! The last criticism was that the spa charges guests for entry. It is ‘only’ €5 per person (€15 for a family) but I have stayed in a lot of hotels for my job and this is the first time I have experienced a hotel charging guests to use the pool/sauna. I understand charging non-guests but it didn’t sit right to charge your own guests for something that most hotels provide for free. We did not pay for breakfast as part of the room package and if we had wanted to eat breakfast in the hotel, it was €11 for children and €21.50 for adults, which we felt was excessive and so ate breakfast elsewhere. I stress however that we did have an enjoyable stay and would certainly book this hotel again next time we visit Dresden. My review is genuinely intended to be constructive criticism as no hotel ever gets everything right all the time

Apparently, one has to ask very nicely for the room to be tidied and replacement teas and coffee provided. Next time, I'll bring a sleeping bag and bivvy bag.Sorry, Raddy B, but I have had better service in a youth hostel.
Chumba — Google review
A hotel that smells very, very, very bad. Of course, the bar, restaurant, and exterior are very impressive. But as soon as I opened the door to my room, everything changed... A musty smell, shabby walls, and dirt. Spiders live in every corner. Also, if you want to sleep with the windows open, be aware that at about 5:30 in the morning the irrigation system will turn on, which is very, very, very noisy (you can enjoy it in the attached video). But not only will the noise prevent you from getting a good night's sleep - the pillows are of the worst quality I've ever seen (you can see in the photo), they are so thin that they look like a rug (but that's why...). I was also very impressed by the fact that a hotel of this class could not afford to include 1-2 bottles of plain water in the room price (this is the first time I've seen this). Even in the cheapest hotels, water is a must have! So, don't bother buying it in a store, or at the hotel bar. By the way, the bar is great!!!
Bilovus M — Google review
It's a very decent hotel, clean and tidy, the bathroom was modern, so was the bed frame, the Philips plasma TV was proper to the room size (not too small yet not too big), there was free tea and coffee with mini sugars offered next to a tea kettle in the room, which I think was a nice gesture. Nowadays it's not a standard given by a majority of hotels. It might give you a 90's vibe at first, but as a millennial myself I'll say, who doesn't love the 90's? My room ended up being modernised, contrary to the reception's decoration and first impressions. Honestly, I personally prefer having a nice comfy, clean room with fresh towels in a hotel whose lobby and corridors not super modern, than to have a sloppy room in a super modern hotel. I really enjoyed my stay, as I was in town for business and it was a great last - minute option for me. What was a bit unusual to me at first, was that I had to walk a long way from the reception lobby to my room, and by that I mean: first, one enters the main building (where the reception, the restaurant & the breakfast buffet etc. are located), and then you exit this building towards the back, where there are several individual buildings with many rooms each. I found it odd because I was tired when I arrived, but in next morning it was refreshing walking towards the breakfast. There's a nice garden and fountains in the middle of these buildings, which I imagine must be very pretty in spring and summertime. The young gentleman at the reception was very helpful and kind with all my requests and questions.
Dimitra K — Google review
This is a 4 stars in the heart of Germany, but the room they put us first was what you can expect from a 2 stars in Pakistan: broken forniture, chipped walls, Honecker style moquette. The second was a bit better but... a cockroach was in the table close the bed. Breakfast was good
Paolo L — Google review
Huge hotel organized in different villas and main building with a garden in the middle. The place looks like a typical hotel franchise, the garden is well mainteined, overall seems very clean. The breakfast has the standart menu for a star hotel, with ham, cheese, egg, pancakes, coffee, tea, croissants and a few more perks. The service is not particularly super friendly, rather pragmatic. Well located in Radebeul.
Juan S — Google review
The hotel staff were nice. The hotel was a bit far from the city center. Breakfast was great, and the service was good. We requested a firm pillow and, later, ironing facilities, and both were brought within 10 minutes. Our room on the first floor was quiet, but our friends on the second floor were woken up by the sound of rain. We bought a bottle of water there for 7 Euro 🫠

Amazing breakfast. Few points to look at for management : staff over caring for breakfast. They stand near the steps to access big breakfast room and are too present. A nice hotel located close to Dresden Old Town, with beautifully classic style décor and very very very clean rooms!!!💗💗💗 However, sorry to say that the service might not be as good as what you’d expect from a typical star-rated hotel. The reception staff are not very helpful and tend to refuse assistance lol!😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨 This happened to me personally since we had clearly booked a large one-bedroom room, but the receptionist gave me a twin instead and refused to change it without any clear reason. The next day, when I asked another receptionist, they finally switched me to the correct room according to my booking request. Like…🤷🏻‍♀️ Also at check-out, we asked for help bringing our luggage with a trolley, but the receptionist stated that it wasn’t their job and they weren’t supposed to assist with that. Thanks for being helpless!🙋🏻‍♀️❤️‍🩹

The lively lobby bar and inviting terrace provide great spots to unwind after a day of exploring.
The hotel has been newly renovated and it shows as you walk in the restaurant/lobby. The staff were very attentive and helpful. The rooms are quite small (our queen size bed occupies the entire room), but would be ideal for a single occupant. Overall, this was a great hotel with an incredible downtown location near shopping, tons of restaurants and large plazas.

Great location in the center of Dresden. The rooms are clean and nice. I got a corner room overlooking Postplatz. The only downside no coffee maker.
John P — Google review
Obviously this place is a very stylish tasteful hotel when it comes to the reception area, the gin bar, breakfast space and amenities. The rooms however, and we were in a complete standard room looking into the courtyard but mostly looking at people in offices and doctor practices, wasn't so great. I personally get a bit claustrophobic in small rooms, but this room didn't even have a phone to call reception, nor coffee and tee facilities, or a machine. Everything is quite small. The shower itself is a good size, the bathroom itself small. I really wished for a coughing cupboard, my clothes were a mess everyday. A big minus point if you are travelling for more than a night. As for the gin bar, gorgeous, floral and cosy seating, great staff, good bar menu and snacks. Even if you feel a twinge for a sweet. The gin cocktails were delicious and you really feel like hanging out there for a longer time. Cosy and yummy. With regards to the bathroom facilities after a few drinks, you had to go upstairs, not so convenient as a lady with heels having to climb stairs when you had a couple. Housekeeping took a long time to get to our room to do a down service. Had to remind reception of it. The location is just perfect, nothing better at all. All sorts of shops around you. Wouldn't stay in a standard room again, but the gin bar a great addition to the hotel.

We booked 2 nights at the hotel and it was a very good choice: Location is great (very close to all major attractions) and the service you receive from each of the front desk employees is helpful and with a smile :) The underground parking was very useful. All in all, we would recommend anyone looking for a great place to stay while at Dresden to consider staying at the Hotel Motel One Dresden am Zwinger!

Staff were attentive and friendly. Special shout out to reception staff, Ms.Chenvako who made our check in seamless and provided us with all the necessary information. Always wore a permanent smile on her face, she attended to our various request and even provided us with free coupons for the public transport. The cleaninessof the rooms, exemplary services, and convenient location are what made our stay at the hotel fantastic and wonderful. We loved everything I highly recommend Intercity Hotel, Dresden for its clean and cozy rooms, friendly staff, serene atmosphere and customer service

Original review: DO NOT STAY HERE, THE MANAGEMENT WILL SCAM YOU. I booked this hotel for summer travel with friends and family due to the property listing saying air conditioning. None of the 3 rooms I booked had fully functioning air conditioning so everyone was constantly hot. I requested new rooms from the staff and was told that they will put in a ticket for maintenance to check the rooms. Maintenance never showed up once over my 3 day stay and the staff could not have cared less. I requested some type of refund for this obvious failure by the hotel, the management did not care about my concern and eventually stopped communicating. You can not list air conditioning as a feature if it is not functional in all of our rooms, that is fraudulent. Outside of the hotel are various groups of people smoking marijuana, drinking, breaking glass bottles, yelling, and playing loud music. We were constantly walking on broken alcohol bottles and trash outside the hotel. THIS AREA IS NOT SAFE FOR TRAVEL. The only good thing about this hotel is the close proximity to the train station and to shopping. Response to management: The management team has replied stating something about a gift card being offered. This never happened. I stayed there for 3 nights. Management did not speak to me a single time after the first night where I made the issue known to their staff. I was not offered any compensation for the disfunctional AC, I stayed at 4 other German hotels for 2-3 nights each during my trip (Cologne, Kassel, Gremsdorf, and Frankfurt) and their rooms would actually cool down unlike Intercity Dresden. The management has stated that a gift card was given to me a checkout??? That's a blatant lie, they may want to check their employee's pocket for the gift card because neither myself nor my guests were offered anything for the hotel's false room descriptions. If they wanted to give compensation in some form they should've done it through Expedia who I also filed a complaint with. The hotel management denied my complaint and refund request to Expedia and told them that everything is working perfectly, which is far from the truth. During and at the end of my trip, nothing was offered to me for the lack of functioning AC. The fact that the hotel management has lied about this shows that they should not be trusted and their property should be avoided.

A great hotel for a business trip. The location is excellent, just 300 meters from the train station. Unlike Frankfurt, this area is much cleaner and safer. There are plenty of bars, shops, and cafes nearby, and the Altstadt is also not too far away. The hotel itself has pleasant, fairly spacious rooms. However, my room wasn’t very clean; I found a hair that didn’t belong to me (and no one else enters the room), but I didn’t make a fuss about it. Otherwise, the room was acceptable. The hotel serves a pretty good breakfast, though the area is quite small, and during my stay, there were always lines for breakfast. Nevertheless, the staff handled it wonderfully.

Good decent standard business hotel. Quiet, not very busy, with restaurant/bar. Nothing special but also nothing bad. Good price and great location - next to the main train station, large underground parking and right on the edge of the city center. Walkable, a lot of stores everywhere.

Very bad service! An old man working at breakfast time mocked me directly on the face saying “haha it’s 10 o clock no more breakfast “ shrugging but were 9:55 and there was 5 people still having breakfast at that moment.. very sad that an human don’t give a fuck about another human; I’m paying for it! Very very bad service I don’t recommend it!

Holiday Inn Express Dresden Zentrum, an IHG Hotel is a modern 3-star hotel located in a prime area of Dresden, Germany. It's conveniently situated near the main train station and various cultural attractions like the Zoo Dresden and Old Masters Picture Gallery. The hotel offers amenities for business travelers such as video projectors and a business center upon request. Guests have praised the friendly and helpful staff, as well as the cleanliness of the rooms.
Very comfortable hotel in every detail of the building. Rooms are small but very comfortable: good quality bad, nice bathrooms, big window. If the door of the shower is open the bathroom gets flooded. The room is equipped even with a small cattle with instant coffee or teas. The included breakfast would be nice, but there are very few plant based options (bread, fruits, coffee, juice) even if on the website it’s advertised as a “vegan friendly breakfast”. After asking I was given a 10cl glass of soy milk for the coffee. It would be very easy to include more sweet (yoghurt, chocolate, peanut butter…) and savoury (hummus, spreads…) to be consistent to what it’s noted online. The reception service is very flexible: they provided me a take away early breakfast to catch a train at 5am. Overall a good choice for a work trip because of the position, the convenience and the overall comfort.

I stayed at this hotel for just one night on my way back home. It is perfectly located with immediate access to lots of bars, restaurants and entertainment. The room was clean and same applies to the bathroom. I wasn't happy with the pet fees (+30€ for a tiny dog!). But most importantly, the beds were quite small, definitely not king size. My kids (15 and 8) had an average night as they had no room in their tiny '2-people' bed. Another (bad) surprise was the breakfast, first time I had to queue to access the restaurant... which wasn't as clean as the rooms... And there was no 'warm' food, no scrambled eggs, no bacon...

Location, location, location, that is the strong point of this hotel right in the middle of the action and a 10 minute walking from the flix bus and train station. Especially in a city were uber and bolt don't operate. Whilst the lift areas and corridor are hideous, the room was renovated and a pleasant surprise, with a sofa, small chair, chair, table, iron and ironboard. Whilst the room is on the small side, it is more than enough to not be uncomfortable. WC spotlessy clean. First night there were noise, there were a lot of kids hosted on our floor, and drunk people knocked on our door. The AC first night seemed not to work, though this more hotter night is colder. Breakfast nothing stellar, but well organised. While basic, not bad as others reviews say. Overall we are happy we selected this hotel for the location, it made our time in Dresden much more enjoyable.

Holiday Inn Express hotel, Dresden. I have stayed worldwide in many IHG hotels. This one in Dresden is a good hotel. The room I was put up in was a standard room with a comfortable queen bed, spacious enough for single occupancy. Two people here would make it crowded. All the amenities in the room were well placed. The bathroom was good too, although a bit confining. Water pressure was adequate. Breakfast was very good and the staff were welcoming and smiling. Now the downers. The wifi was unstable with frequent disruptions. However, the wifi security was reported as strong - something rare for public networks. No slippers were provided, nor was there a safe in the room. The air-conditioning was worth the name only. I wonder how someone occupying the room in peak summer days will bear with such a pathetic aircon. And the worst, they don't provide any telephone in the room. How would one cope if an emergency arises? This one deficiency blots all the good things about this hotel. Recommended if you can bear with these deficiencies. I stayed in room number 220.

Hotel was okay. You get what you pay for and reception is not top but not bad. The rooms were clean and no concern. Breakfast was okay, north american like breakfast with sweet items (waffles and Nutella, chocolate croissant). There are limited healthy options. Dresden is small and this hotel is walking distance from everywhere you want to go. 10 mins from central area.

We stayed for a night, but we loved it,, must say how wonderful it is to have walking distance to everything,, our room was cosy and clean. As a big breakfast guy, I enjoyed every bit of it, and the restaurant staff were outstanding 👌..

Great location. Has a bar and the breakfast was good. We arrived early and room was ready. We only spent the night. Plenty to see and do with many restaurants and bars to choose from. Highly recommend.

The reception staff was really unfreindly and forced me to pay twice. She finally checked that it was the hotel‘s mistake however she never said sorry to us. It was the worst experience in germany. I spent more than 30 minutes for her wrong direction and ruined whole day.

Earlier I mixed up 2 different cities and hotels, this is the actual for this hotel as a review: Reception personnel was friendly, helpful and outspoken on questions. Rooms were "just as described", no issues whatsoever. Artistic/music style interior is a Plus. Beds, bedsheets, cleanliness, overall functions were just A OK, maybe a Hotel You won´t remember after 20 years but also a hotel, that does not dissatisfy you in any way. Thank you! Price/quality is well within a Good/Excellent!

I can only confirm all amazing opinions about this place-it is a perfect location for the people that want to discover the city fo Dresden and do not mind to use public transportation and also for these that are looking for the place to sleep while driving the A4 highway. Hotel is clean, food delicious (thy serve even guacamole for breakfast!) And the people working there are super friendly. I highly recommend it!

The rooms are very spacious and nice, I love the idea that you have to ask for cleaning instead of it repeating everyday. The bar is pretty nice as is the reception, the breakfast is nice as well. The staff is helpful and kind. There are also a lot of places to sit and rest in the hotel. The location is a bit far from the historic city centre but you can easily take a walk anywhere or you can take a tram - the stop is basically right outside the hotel. I also liked the area - there’s a park, a museum, grocery store.

Extremely clean and quiet, located near the Altstadt. Self-check-in takes only five minutes. They have a small gym and sauna. Also, if you don't take the breakfast deal, you can use the coffee bar for free.

Good location for Dresden sightseeing, a little bit further from the old city center, but with good tramway connection (tram is just a minute walk from the hotel). Very very friendly personel at the reception desk, we were handled by a kind gentlemen who explained everything and also showed the communication options on the map. The rooms are proper size, they are clean, there is air conditioning in each of the rooms.

We had a pleasant overnight stay at this accommodation. The receptionist was welcoming and helpful, and the 24/7 check-in/out process was convenient. Our room was clean, tidy, and suitable for two people. Considering the affordable price, we'd definitely recommend this place.

Nestled in the heart of Dresden's historic old town, Amedia Plaza Dresden is a charming hotel that perfectly blends comfort with convenience. Just a short stroll from Neumarkt and within walking distance to iconic attractions like the Green Vault Museum and Zwinger Palace, this 4-star accommodation offers air-conditioned rooms and suites, some boasting stunning views of nearby palaces. Guests can enjoy a refreshing dip in the heated swimming pool or savor delicious meals at the on-site à la carte restaurant.
We stayed here to tour the city along with all it's wonderful Christmas markets bustling with goods, drinks and food. This hotel offered everything we needed at a great price! Perfectly located, very nice staff, great views of the city, parking, restaurant, and close proximity to landmarks. We parked the car in the garage offered by the hotel (reserve in advance) and were able to walk everywhere. Including alot of the Christmas markets...Even a market which was across the river, by way of a foot/trolley bridge. We walked to a double decker tour bus operator which provided earbuds to enjoy the tour in most languages. The city was truly enchanting! We will definitely be back!

We booked this place specifically because it was downtown, had parking, laundry, large rooms, and hardwood floors. Parking was full. Usually if this is likely to happen, the listing will say "limited parking", but it did not. There was no public laundry room. You could give your stuff to housekeeping but they wanted to charge per item, between 4-11€, which is an extremely high price for a full bag of laundry. We booked the comfort room plus, but they gave us the twin room, and said it would still be the same price. Supposedly they are allowed to give you a room with a higher ceiling and charge for a larger room. They said only the corner rooms look like the photos. The hardwood floors were very nice and it didn't have the usual hotel stink, but the pillows had a light scalp smell and there were a few small hair clippings under the blanket. Also, the hair dryer shuts off after about a minute of use and you have to wait 5-10 minutes to use it again.
L J — Google review
Overall this is a good choice and I would recommend without reservation given price via booking dot com, excellent location for tourists, very helpful staff and size of room. There is an excellent, good value breakfast available in the Eiscafe at the bottom of the building as well as many other nearby restaurants so don't book the rate that includes hotel breakfast. There is a car park but it's very expensive and needs to be booked in advance. Order a P card from Contipark and park in the Semperoper car park for a fraction of the cost. There were a few very minor things that could be easily improved with slightly better attention to detail e.g. small area of skirting board not clean, loose handle on bathroom door missing the rose, insufficient cups and spoons. There was no compendium/hotel information obviously available, which was problematic because we had difficulties that needed to be solved by asking staff, which was annoying, such as the airconditioning/heating is totally unintuitive so we needed a lesson on how to use it and no one told us that it doesn't come on if the balcony doors are open. There's no kettle in the room - you have to ask for it but you wouldn't know to ask because it doesn't say anywhere what's available on request. We were given some ice as someone in our party had an injury but we didn't know that was available. Who knows how many other things we could have had upon request.

We visited Dresden at the cultural summer highlight - the Dresden festival Canalleto! The hotel is at the heart of the old town and is one hand distance away from all major sightseeing and the evening programme of the festival! We checken in earlier as our room was ready for us at lunch time with no additional hustle of a fee or eyebrow from the staff! The frienldy excellent staff at the registry desk accommodated us with all requests- from change of pillows to getting an iron for our clothing and in 5-10 minutes time! Our room was overseeing the inner court yard making this hotel peaceful and quiet paradise to rest amidst the night crazyness of the festival! Really happy with this hotel and its effective helpful staff ! Of course that comes at the corresponding price.
Todor D — Google review
Amedia hotel is very well situated in the heart of Dresden. It has nice and modern style room and really good inner terace where you can sit outside but in the quite of the building block. On the other hand the price for all the amenities on hand or in the price is too high and was for us over the expectation. And we had 50/50 good and bad experience with reception attitude. We were eating out so cant say anything about the dining. So for the location great but against other hotels we have the experience with it is overpriced
Filip K — Google review
The hotel is in a very good location but there were a number of problems with the room. The toilet paper is of the poorest quality, there are lights in the room you cannot turn off, the shutters/curtains are not blackouts, thin pillows, soap runs out easily and there was also building work across the street so difficult to sleep (although that was something out of their control)
Twazzle S — Google review
This hotel is located in the city center. Walking distance from main attractions and restaurants. Well priced, comfortable, service is nice and the room is comfortable. The only disadvantage is lack of parking spaces in this area so do not forget to book one in advance otherwise you need to pay 25€/day on a city one.

Hotel Bayerischer Hof Dresden is a classic 4-star family-run hotel located in a central and peaceful area close to the airport, Neustadt railway station, and Old Town of Dresden. The hotel offers stylish interiors with antiques and art pieces, providing elegantly furnished rooms and suites. It features free WiFi throughout the property. The hotel is housed in a former patrician house built in 1855 under monument protection for its historical significance.
When I travel, I like to stay in a local hotel rather than an USA chain. This reinforces the experience of visiting another country. This is a perfect hotel for us. It is very German and old and totally amazing. The breakfast is one of the finest we had on our trip. I upgraded to a suite of sorts. It ended up with a large bedroom, plus a large sitting room and an incredibly big area connecting them that could be another sitting room. The location was great for us. It is right across the street from the 'New Town' Dresden-Neustadt train station - be sure to get off here and not the main train station. Cross two roads and you will be at the hotel. You will not be downtown, where all the action is. That is preferred because that can be noisy and crowded. This is a 10 minute ride on their clean and efficient light rail cars. Wait a few minutes for the car just a short distance down the street Robert-Blum-Strasse from this hotel. We purchased two all day passes from the machine. Hop on the direction going away from the hotel and get off after crossing the bridge. Apple Maps had clear directions and I expect Google does too. There are tons of restaurants nearby - but reservations are pretty much a requirement. If you are arriving that day, pick a place a day or two before your arrival and make reservations. This building, being ancient, does not have air conditioning. If you are here in the summer, ask for a room facing away from the train yard. We will go back, but perhaps not in the summer.

My wife and I just spent 4 wonderful nights at Hotel Bayerische Hof Dresden. Our room and the hotel in general were very well appointed and comfortable. The hotel was meticulously clean and neat throughout. The buffet breakfast was excellent and last, but by no means least, the staff were incredibly friendly and very helpful and supportive of our Australian tongues coping with the German language. In particular, the staff hosting the reception desk and the breakfast service are a credit to the brand. Happy staff equals happy guests 😀.

Lovely hotel. Classic interior design, very well placed next to Dresden Neustad. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Very friendly staff and excellent location. Unfortunately even the courtyard rooms are very loud dueto a large main street passing along the side & back of the hotel. On top of that the rooms have no AC, not even a fan, so sleeping with closed window in summer was not an option. Bathrooms don't have a vent or windows. Everything very old and small. No fitness room. Overall very disappointed. Bring earplugs even if you book the more expensive park side. Might be ok in winter but in summer it's too loud and hot to sleep, regardless what room you take. Next time we'll go again to the Moxy which is right next door, has modern rooms and is also more quiet.

Very nice Hotel. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Road and train station outside was a little noisy but the windows were sound proof ...so ok. Hotel is in a good location ...walking distance from everything.

We loved the comfortably furnished large family room. The staff were helpful and courteous and the hotel is well situated and within walking distance of the old centre of the city. Breakfast service was the only minor disappointment - though I suspect that was simply related to under-staffing and the fact that our spoken German is poor.
Y S — Google review
Stayed here for a long weekend. Members of staff friendly, informative and great at arranging meal/taxi to fit in with a visit to the Semperoper. The room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. I'd willingly use this hotel again as it was more than satisfactory to stay in.

Residenz am Zwinger offers modern serviced studios and apartments with balconies or terraces, located opposite the Zwinger Palace and pond. The accommodation is conveniently close to Dresden's historic attractions such as the Semper Opera. The units feature underfloor heating, washing machines, and king-size beds. Additionally, there are smart kitchens and sitting rooms suitable for groups, families, or business travelers. Guests can also enjoy dining at the on-site restaurant with terrace seating and access a grassy garden.
We rented an awesome apartment with 2 rooms, 2 bathrooms, and a full kitchen for a very reasonable price of $115/night. The main bathroom came with a jacuzzi and a Sauna. The best part is the location which is right in downtown across the Zwinger Castle. Highly recommended accommodations.

I am very satisfied from my weekend stay at Residenz am Zwinger (travelling from Poland). Location is great, in center of the city (all locations are within walking distance). Apartment was very clean and very good equipped. I arrived after close of the reception buy despite of that, communication was very well. Letter with key, instruction, city map etc. was waiting for me in safe box. I sincerely recommend Residenz am Zwinger, if I'm in Dresden again, I'll book room here again.

As always, the Residenz is a great place to stay. I have only one critical comment: the rooms are almost always sold out, even though there appear to be many free apartments in the building (as evidenced by the lack of lights in the windows in the evening). This is a pity.
Ondrej M — Google review
PROS · The room was very well equipped and much larger than expected. We really liked having a small balcony, the bathroom was huge and even had a jacuzzi/sauna. The kitchen had everything you needed. The appliances were good brands/all clean and in good condition. The apartment was also very very big. Location is excellent. Easy to walk to the old historic city centre. Public transport is easily accessible from here. There is a large city Rewe up the road as well. Parking is easy with the underground parking garage, also relatively cheap for city parking at 14€ per day. For a short stay this a normal price. Overall, we were really impressed with the hotel generally and would definitely stay again. CONS · The room we had did not have air conditioning (I know it's Germany) but it was a 35 degree weekend. There was also no fan in the room, I am very surprised by this as the street is very loud so you can't have the windows open the whole time. There was also not very good airflow when the windows were open. On one of the days we were there the outside temperature was 22 degrees, yet even with the windows open the apartment was always above 26 degrees.

Will start with that. Was not the first stay, we were year before in that apartment! When we reserved an apartment 1 month before arriving. On the day arrived that apartment was booked by different people! What wasn't reported for us, in this case, we would look for another option! This ruined my Birthday stay in Dresden. The Frauenkirche Dresden is a stunning Baroque church that was reconstructed and reconsecrated in 2005 after being destroyed during World War II. It is part of the magnificent architectural ensemble in Dresden, often referred to as 'The Florence on the Elbe,' which includes the Semper Opera House, Zwinger, Royal Palace, Cathedral St. Trinitatis (Hofkriche), and Castle Pillnitz.
This church is majestic and feels like a center piece of the city. The surrounding area with the church makes this place very picturesque. There is a called rubble from the past that is kept next to the church which is a nice little touch. This is definitely a must visit site in Dresden

We visited as it’s our last day, it’s pretty impressive how much money, time, and effort to rebuild all these historic buildings, including this Church of our Lady. Inside still haven’t had much to see but still nice to visit. Free entry but if you wish to climb up to the viewing tower over 100 steps then have a fee.
Pasan S — Google review
This is a beautiful church that is the jewel of Dresden. I loved visiting the church as well as sitting outside in one of the many cafes and restaurants and taking in the view. Church entrance is free. It’s gorgeous inside. If you want to climb up the dome, you need to go around the back. I think it was €12 entrance. The views are great from the top. There are a good few steps going up to start and then there is a ramp around the dome which makes it far easier to ascend.

Brilliant history! In the final days of WWII, the whole city was bombed including this church which was a very important part of Dresden. Following the reunification of German, it was rebuilt using some of the original stone! The building is incredible and there is a stunning view from the top. A must visit!

Frauenkirche Dresden, A symbol of peace and rebirth. Destroyed during World War II and rebuilt from its original stones, the Church of Our Lady stands today as a powerful reminder of faith, resilience, and hope. Its magnificent dome shines once again over the heart of Dresden
Ali A — Google review
The magnificent Frauenkirche! When I last visited decades ago, the church was nothing but a pile of rubble—or more accurately, a heap of stones—serving as a stark reminder of the devastation of war. Reconstruction began in 1994, and on October 30, 2005, it was officially reopened. The church hall is impressively tall and richly decorated. You can climb up to the dome, but we didn’t have time for that on this visit. I’m sure the views from up there—both into the church and across Dresden—are breathtaking. If you only have time to visit one attraction in Dresden, I’d choose the Frauenkirche.
Heikki K — Google review
Concert organisation is TERRIBLE. We booked a concert ticket easily in English. All my family is fond of classical music and we play the music. The concert was from at 19. We arrived to the church at 18:30 and waited for 15minutes to get into the the church. All staff was very kind. Only a few people in the concert. There was no program given for the concert and there was no program showing in the church. There was a 30 minutes talking before the concert only in GERMAN. For me it was a long torture and it was like in the hell. During the concert, many audience was talking and chatting. The concert lasted less than 30 minutes. Overall, we waited for more than 1 hour to listen less than 30 minutes of music and German people were chatting. It was a waste of time and money for us.

Dresden Zwinger is a stunning Baroque building that houses a porcelain collection and exhibits on historic scientific instruments. The city of Dresden, often referred to as 'The Florence on the Elbe,' boasts magnificent architectural wonders like the Semper Opera House, Royal Palace, Cathedral St. Trinitatis, Castle Pillnitz, and Frauenkirche. Despite the devastation of World War II, Dresden has persevered and regained its beauty.
The building is still under construction 🚧 and the garden also. But it’s still beautiful, they allowed tourists to go inside the garden for free and walking up to the fortress area to see the view on both sides of the castle and city. The beautiful historical arts and history is worth to visit, very close to the Opera House too.

Magnificent Baroque palace, initially build by August Strong as a an orangery and gardens, destroyed by the ally bombings in 1945, restored in 50s and 60s . You can walk on the roof of the galleries and admire the beauty of it. It's open till late evening and the entrance is free. The inner garden part is currently ( as of August 2025) under renovation. The galleries house 2 museums - one of mathematical instruments and another is porcelain gallery ( which I highly recommend). When we were there in one of the towers a classical music concert was held. It was beautiful to listen to music in a such beautiful place.
Elllen K — Google review
I visited the Zwinger in Dresden and really enjoyed the experience. There is a lot to see here, and the place itself feels quite special. The architecture is impressive and honestly a bit overwhelming – you can just stand there and keep looking at all the details. Every corner has something interesting, from the buildings themselves to the sculptures and the way everything is arranged. It was a bit crowded when I visited, but that didn’t really stop me from enjoying it. You still have plenty of space to walk around and take your time. I found myself slowing down just to notice the small details, and it was worth it. Overall, I think it’s one of those places you shouldn’t miss if you’re in Dresden. It’s not only about seeing a landmark, but also about the feeling of being surrounded by such a unique piece of history and design.
Yana — Google review
This is an absolute must-see in Dresden. There’s no need to explain why — just go. The palace offers much more to see than you might expect, so make sure to allow plenty of time for your visit. It’s truly worth the admission fee. The art museum was particularly impressive !
Just ! — Google review
Fantastic place to visit. It takes a few hours to go through each of the exhibitions but it's worth it. One small con is that you can never be sure that you visit everything that is there to be seen. Somehow it's easy to lose the track as exhibitions are in different sections of the court dividend by stairs/halls etc. Anyway, if you are in Drezno and have free time - go there :)
Grzegorz C — Google review
This a wonderful and beautiful palace ground in a baroque style. Built with beautiful gardens inside and a pathway on the top of the building where you can walk around and enjoy the view. You can walk all around through the Kronentor and onwards. A very pleasant building

A wonderful, historical place to visit. I was really amazed with the architecture and atmosphere, it's like you feel the art and festivals in the air though they're already lost in the history...

In Dresden, Saxony, one of the most captivating attractions is the Fürstenzug, also known as the Procession of Princes. This impressive 102-meter-long mural made of 23,000 Meissen porcelain tiles showcases the history of the House of Wettin, spanning from the 12th to the 19th century.
The Fürstenzug in Dresden is an impressive mural made of Meissen porcelain tiles, depicting the history of Saxon rulers. At over 100 meters long, it is one of the largest porcelain artworks in the world. The level of detail in the figures is truly fascinating, bringing history to life. A must-see historical landmark when visiting Dresden!
Victoria M — Google review
The Fürstenzug took me by surprise—so detailed and grand, yet tucked along a quiet street. From my perspective, it’s one of those places that really brings history to life. The scale and craftsmanship of the porcelain mural are incredible, and it’s amazing how well it’s been preserved. It’s definitely worth pausing here while exploring the old town—it doesn’t take long, but it leaves a lasting impression.
Koel G — Google review
the procession of princes is enormous 102-meter-long porcelain mural that basically tells the history of saxony. it features 94 figures of all the saxon rulers and nobles in chronological order, starting way back in 1127. what's really cool is that it's made from an incredible 25,000 meissen porcelain tiles, which makes it the world's largest porcelain artwork. you'll find it right on augustusstraße, so it's super easy to check out as you're walking between dresden's main attractions. and the best part? you can view it completely free
KK — Google review
What an excellent and exquisite display of porcelain art. I believe the art shows a march of the Saxon ruler dynasty and is the larger porcelain mural in the world. When you come upon the wall, the sheer size of it is jaw dropping. You won’t be able to believe what you are seeing. It is beautiful. This is a must see sight when you visit Dresden.
Anand — Google review
We visited the Fürstenzug in December 2024 during the Christmas market, and we were truly impressed. Hahhh, what can I say or express? It was an incredible experience to stand in front of this massive wall of history. This open-air artwork is both grand and full of detail, yet located on a quiet street in Dresden’s historic center. * Stretching 102 meters long, the mural is made of over 23,000 Meissen porcelain tiles and portrays the genealogy of the Wettin dynasty, which ruled Saxony for centuries. It’s considered the largest porcelain mural in the world. Originally painted between 1871 and 1876, it was later replaced with porcelain tiles from 1904 to 1907 to withstand the weather. In addition to princes, kings, and dukes, the mural also features scientists, craftsmen, farmers, and even children — which gives the artwork a more human and timeless feel. It’s a true open-air history lesson. The visit is free, quick, and unforgettable. Definitely worth stopping by while exploring the Old Town. And afterward, take a break at one of the lovely nearby cafés! I Recommend it.
Vanessa K — Google review
Once I arrived in Dresden, I had to take the latest available train to see this. It’s more than I expected. On weekends, this alley can get a little crowded, so you might have to wait a while to get a good picture. :)

Just a short stroll from iconic attractions like the Frauenkirche and Zwinger Palace, this hotel offers easy access to the city's rich history. Guests can unwind in its inviting spa area featuring an indoor pool and saunas after exploring nearby sites such as the picturesque Grand Garden of Dresden.
I had an amazing stay at this hotel! The staff at the reception were incredibly welcoming and helpful, making check-in smooth and hassle-free. I have checked in with the man staff who name start with V . I was so impressed and appreciated a lot . The breakfast was another highlight – a delicious variety of dishes that catered to all tastes. Everything was fresh, well-prepared, and beautifully presented. The team at the breakfast area was equally wonderful, ensuring that everything was perfect and guests felt well taken care of. And the Location is absolutely perfect 👌👍 Thank you again for your accommodation

The hotel was everything we needed. The room was clean a good size and the beds comfortable. Our room looked out on to the main road but was very quiet. The breakfast buffet had a lot of choices and was plentiful. The hotel is a 10 minute walk to the old town so was perfect for our 2 night stay. All the staff were friendly and we enjoyed drinks in the bar area. We had no complaints and would definitely visit again.

Stayed for a long weekend on a May public holiday. Hotel was busy, but the service was still excellent. We didn't mind the 5UR charge (per adult, kids are free) to use the spa and pool as it meant it was nice and quiet. Breakfast was busy but the staff were doing an amazing job of clearing tables and keeping the food topped up. Sunday was quieter than Saturday. Will stay here again the next time we are in Dresden.
Rebecca A — Google review
The hotel room was okay: not very big but clean with functioning gadgets. Beds were not that comfortable though. Service at the hotel is really worth improvement! The cleaning staff members knocked at the door early morning TWICE (around 8am and around 10am again) and opened it without getting any response. I really did not feel comfortable experiencing it. Note: it happened on the date of departure BEFORE check-out time (12 o´clock). A receptionist even did not ask during the check-out, if we enjoyed the stay... Breakfast would benefit a lot from natural juices (orange, apple...), pastry for vegans, salmon and many other things, which I guess are now standard for a 4* hotel but were just not there. Many meat options offered at breakfast are limited to cheap pork (be that sausages or cold meats). Spa area was a total disappointment. It is shared with the people attending a gym nearby and kind of loud. Two saunas are quite small and so is the pool. Worst thing, it smelled so bad (gasoline) in the area in between the spa entrance and the garage area, which are both located in the basement floor, that I got sick -((( Overall, we expected better service, more variety at breakfast and a relaxing spa experience for the price in this location.
Tia S — Google review
We had a wonderful time with great service. A big special thank you to Renata from the front desk! The location is very convenient , tram lines directly in front, the Great Garden (an enormous and beautiful park, with lakes and a very cute train track) and the Hygiene Museum and the VW manufacture round the corner. Only two stations away from the historical city centre. Only four stars for the room: the furniture is a little tired and the mattress was super hard ... The Aqua Loft was superb!

With ample meeting space available, it’s also an ideal spot for business travelers.
The staff was kind enough to upgrade us to suite for free and get us a free parking, which comes with diamond membership but often we would not get these upgrades elsewhere. There is also very convenient bus station that goes to the city right infront of the hotel.

I recently stayed at a hotel in Germany, and overall, it was a great experience. The location was perfect close to everything I needed and the staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, which made the stay even better. The food was amazing, and the services were top-notch. The only thing that bothered me was the cleaning staff knocking on doors early in the morning. It was a bit annoying to be woken up when I was hoping for a more relaxed start to the day. Aside from that, everything was spot on. I’d definitely stay here again and would recommend it to others, but I’d suggest putting up the “Do Not Disturb” sign if you want to sleep in!
Aslam K — Google review
The hotel was decent, but we had an issue with the housekeeping staff. They started knocking on our door at 8 AM, saying they had come for cleaning. We informed them that we were still sleeping, but they returned again after 30 minutes. We were traveling with a group and found that other guests had the same experience. This created a lot of discomfort. We hope you will take measures to improve this issue.

Great place just a little far from anything you’d want to see in Dresden. On the plus side the bus station is just across the street so still can get around.
Svetlana S — Google review
Quiet hotel outside of Dresden. The rooms are comfortable and bright, staff is friendly and helpful. The only thing that is rather unfortunate is it’s location - about 30-45 minutes away from the main sights by bus. We nevertheless enjoyed our stay here. Note that, as of July 2023, their restaurant isn’t open for lunch or dinner. Breakfast is possible though!
David D — Google review
Unlike Korea, there was no insect screen and air conditioner, so if I opened the door because it was hot, I was a little uncomfortable with flying insects came in . Other than that, the service and the rest of the room were good, the fitness center and sauna facilities were spacious and comfortable, so it was convenient, and I was satisfied with the breakfast. But I left my Galaxy wireless earphone in my room, and the hotel number was set up so that international calls could not be made. I would appreciate it if you could tell me other means of contact.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Star G. I can only imagine what it must look like during Christmas market season, but it was still lovely looking out over the square with the beautiful church bells nearby. Centrally located for easy walking around the main attractions of the city. Big and plentiful parking underground only a few minutes away from the hotel. Overall a very nice hotel that I highly recommend.

Only stayed for one night, but very enjoyable. The room was huge. We were at the back, so had a nice view without the noise of the traffic outside. Staff were very helpful and spoke excellent English. There is coffee and water in the room. Shower was very efficient. It's a great central location to allow you to explore the historic city.
Steve M — Google review
Nice location, friendly staff, and with rare exception nice rooms, but I cannot recommend this hotel for families. We stayed in a family room (room 414 with two king beds), but there was no door between the shower and the room. Worse, there was a mirror on the opposite wall so even if you were looking away, you could see into the shower. Although I could understand this layout if there was only one bed for a couple, we stayed in a “family room” with children. Very odd. We also had to get a new body wash in the shower, which was empty, something housekeeping should have caught when turning the room over.
Gary H — Google review
We spent a pleasant night at the Star G Hotel, which is located right in the heart of Dresden, close to all major sights. We conveniently parked our car in a clean parking garage beneath Altmarkt, less than 100 meters from the hotel. As the hotel is in an old building, there’s a long staircase from the lobby to the check-in area, but there’s also an elevator that goes directly there. Checking in was a bit of an odd experience—the receptionist asked us to enter our details ourselves on a provided tablet, and didn’t do anything while we awkwardly filled them in. Our room was clean, modern, spacious enough, well enough soundproofed, air-conditioned, and had a comfortable bed. We slept well. We found the hotel breakfast rather expensive, so we opted to have breakfast at a nearby café instead. The lobby café-bar of the hotel is nice. We’d be happy to stay there again because of the location and quality of the room.
Heikki K — Google review
AC settings don't work so you're stuck with whatever default temperature they've set up. Found cobwebs in the room. Location is pretty good, hotel within walking distance of most attractions.
TPet — Google review
I enjoyed my stay at the Star G Hotel but there’s always room for improvement. I didn’t find the mattresses to be comfortable, it was painful and I woke up sore from them. Also, I’d love to have two pillows per person especially since the pillows were very flat. This is probably something that can be requested for your stay. I’d recommend anyone staying to request that. The hotel has the heat on very high for what would be spring or autumn weather back home. I just left the windows open each day since you can’t lower or raise the room temperature by anything more than 3°. That being said, I found the staff there to be lovely and very helpful. I think the hotel itself looks very nice. I think it would be great if the bathroom had all of its walls and not a big window in between but at least there is a shade. The area is pretty close to perfect especially for the Christmas markets but if you have any luggage, bring it in early morning so you’re not wheeling it in between people on the street. All in all, I had a great stay, I’d gladly come again (especially if the mattresses are different). The breakfast was also very good, have the eggs, they have cheese with them, but bring your own hot sauce.. if needed
Mary N — Google review
The room was clean but not well designed. The bathroom was split. Toilet and shower in separate locations. The shower was small and no door for shower room so no privacy. There was little light in the room, so bedroom was dark. It could use a lamp on the desk. Outlets on one side of the bed, which makes it difficult for CPAP users or those needing outlets on both sides for other devices. Room service was not great. They didn't replenish coffee in the room and there is no phone in the room to call to request. They did tidy up but they should have replenished the coffee. It did take 2 lifts to get to the room. One lift to the reception desk and another one to the rooms. They did have a very steep ramp to pull luggage up to the first lift, but because it's so steep it makes it difficult to use. It wasn't a bad stay, so please do give them a try. I like to give ample feedback so you know what to expect. We were on the 6th floor and were so lucky to have the view of the Christmas market outside of our room. The staff at the desk did speak English which was very helpful. They were very kind and courteous.

My room was facing the courtyard and could enjoy on the huge balcony. There is a fridge but no microwave. I like the shower. Location is amazing, next to the old town and right next to the light rail, but unfortunately there are no direct tram lines to either of the major train stations. It is 3 star but it was better than the other 4 star hotels I stayed in Germany. The only con is you need to transfer elevator to get to the room and there are a few steps.

A surprisingly pleasant stay! All the room, hallways, lobby, breakfast area looked new. Very clean and well-maintained. Great location: Walkable to almost everywhere. Can enjoy nice views of Zwinger on the way to the center. Trams and buses are available right in the front. Room: Moderate sized room but built it with maximum efficiency. It was a single room but had a comfy queen size bed and a nice bathroom. Everything was new. Only downside was that I could hear a lot from upstairs and even feel thumps from door closing which was annoying but not a deal breaker. Breakfast: Surprisingly good! Considering the price the breakfast had lots of choices, was very well prepared, tasty and generous. Staffs: All very kind. They advised me on the road closure due to the political demonstration which was very helpful for scheduling my next day travel. Last but not the least, a great value for the price. Easily recommended!

I was staying with my kid and they forgot to give extra bed. Seriously 😒 We stayed here for 3 days and No room cleaning for first 2 days. This is not acceptable. We asked for fresh towel after staying for a day which we can use for next day, they forgot until I gave the call at late evening and requested again. Come on, WiFi - seriously, this is a joke. I don’t see the point to stay at IHG hotel if you cannot provide same quality. I stayed with my family here and they are disappointed my the service.

The room is clean and confortable. The breakfast is good and quite wide selection available. The parking lots underground are very tight. There is a good quality shower gel and liquid soap in the toilet, but there is no slippers in the room. Internet is fast and free. No laundry service available in the hotel.

The room was clean and the lady at the front desk was helpful by trying to contact housekeeping to see if our room was ready since we arrived before check-in time. Parking across the street was a cheap 6€ per night. The room was super basic, very empty, with no amenities (save for a tablet with hotel and local information). The tablet came in handy because we couldn't figure out how to turn on the ancient air conditioning unit. The A/C did end up working, but the controls are not clear and it was very weak. The location is just okay as it's a little bit of a walk into the city center. The room itself was expensive, over $200 for one night in their most basic room, and breakfast was over 20€ per person.

The hotel is a good choice if you want to stay relatively close to the city centre. The room is clean and quiet, the breakfast is amazing! I give 4 stars though because the WiFi is horrible and I couldn’t even work from my room due to the very slow network. I think it is not acceptable in 2024.

Actually at check in it was disaster. The lady had a chat either her friend was missing out everything, hot happy . Other guys later and in the morning were much welcome. Rooms are big but old fashion, and cold. Heating was starting snd working , but too noisy. Missed breakfast so will not comment. One of the not nice ones across Radisson group :(

Wi-Fi was extremely slow on the 5th floor and constantly drops to the point of being useless. It took the hotel 3 days to fix it. The staff is very helpful. There’s beer in the reception 24/7. It’s a little isolated and takes about 15mins to the old town and the cool bohemian neighborhood north.

Three star is too much for this hotel, at best it should be a 1 star hotel. First of all there is basically nothing in the room, not even a kettle. You don't get a bottle of water even... Also the INTERNET speed is disaster! I couldn't even open a website. The breakfast is ok. Location is nice. The rooms are quite spacious. The toilets are very dark with smelly showers. The staff are not the nicest as well (they forgot how to smile). All in all for its price it's not worth it at all.

We were only staying one night in Dresden, so not much time. The font desk staff were really good. On arrival, you need to obtain a pass to enter the car park. If you are on your own, it's a pain as you need to go into the hotel and get a pass. The street is busy, so it's not easy. The rooms are a good size and well finished

Nestled in the heart of Dresden, the Best Western Macrander Hotel Dresden offers a delightful blend of comfort and convenience for travelers. This modern hotel boasts streamlined rooms that create a relaxed atmosphere, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. Guests can enjoy complimentary breakfast and free Wi-Fi, ensuring a pleasant stay.
I travelled with my sister and our 3 dogs. The room was tidy, well lit with natural light, window looking at a park. Big flat screen TV, coffee machine and hair dryer are in the room as well. Nice bathroom with bathtub. Private parking lot is a bit tight to drive in with a bigger car, but overall good (parking places are good sized) and for a great price.
Viktória H — Google review
Simple hotel. Clean rooms. The breakfast is very good, although it is located in the adjacent hotel. You need to walk outside 20m between the two hotels. For a fee, you can use the sauna, fitness and the swimming pool in the adjacent hotel. Tram line 7/8 is about 8min walk. There is a bust stop just outside the hotel.
Georgi N — Google review
I had a pleasant stay in a spacious room with an amazing breakfast and great service. However, one area for improvement would be the cleanliness of the rooms. In the room we stayed in, there were some dusty spots that could use more attention. Overall, it was a nice experience, but enhancing the cleaning efforts would make it even better.
Michail K — Google review
Top recommendation when visitin Dresden. Great location with a lot of restaurants in walking distance and maybe 10 minutes drive to reach downtown. However, it's located at a rather busy street, so there's some noise when you open the windows. But there is a well working and silent A/C, too, so that the windows could remain closed. Due to student neighborhood there's some party noise coming up from the park at night. Staff is friendly and helpful and the hotel and rooms are in an overall good conditions. Everything worked as it should.
Dirk S — Google review
Room was big and clean, but would have preferred a walk-in shower instead of the shower in the tub. The staff at the Courtyard Marriott who did the check in and service was super friendly and helpful. Location was great for me since it was close to the office and the bus stop in front of the hotel connects you well to the nearest tram station and from there it is easy to get to the city centre.
Oli F — Google review
If the location suits you, the rooms are fresh, clean and rather big. The breakfast buffet has a huge option even for vegetarians & vegans. Only thing is you need to walk over next door to Marriott courtyard. You can even try the gym & sauna there on an extra of 5€. One critic, they only make your room when specifically requested! The first time they did and Second time they did not!
Madhuri K — Google review
Average hotel with a service level leaving room for improvement. We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights and requested 1 week before arrival both rooms to be next to each other since we were traveling with our children. The request was denied since “fully booked”, which could have been fair enough. But when it turns out not to be fully booked then it shows staff in this case was not interested in servicing the customer. Very slow check-in, rooms with no “atmosphere” and no housekeeping for 3 days… Fine breakfast buffet.
Martin B — Google review
The location of the hotel is very good there area lot of small restaurants pubes and stores in a 10 min walk radius. There is a tran station near the hotel that takes you to the old city in 15 min. The hotel itself is comfortable the rooms are big. the only problem i had was that all your services are given by the hotel next door.

Hotel
Located in the vibrant Neustadt neighborhood of Dresden, Hostel Mondpalast offers a convenient and no-fuss accommodation option for travelers. The hostel provides dorms with capacities ranging from four to 10 beds, as well as single, double, and triple private rooms. Guests can enjoy free Wi-Fi, bike rentals, a simple bar, and a fully equipped kitchen. The hostel's central location allows easy access to trendy bars, stylish cafes, and German bakeries.
The check-in staff were efficient and friendly. The rooms have big lockers. The beds comfy enough but unfortunately no privacy curtains. I was on the 1st floor and there was a mixed and single female bathrooms, separate male and female showers. A nice kitchen and bar at the entrance downstairs. Everything was clean. The location was perfect for me as a have my bike and cycled everywhere...old town, the city, the river, and just wandered. I always felt safe. Definitely a place to stay.
L K — Google review
Everything was great, no critique, within 20-30 minutes of the main train station via the tram. Fabulous workers, very kind, clear facilities, etc… For any of the plus sized girlies the showers were a squeeze to get into, but doable and roomy after you get in. (American size 26/28 for reference). Very vibrant neighborhood. Staff speaks English and German well. I stayed in the women only rooms and everything made me feel safe as a solo female traveler. Just bring some cash with you to put down deposits on the key card and a lock if want to use theirs.
Tash H — Google review
The rooms were very solid with good beds(even double beds no creeking) the place is very close to the center of dresden with lots of bars and restaurants to eat and drink. I personally travel by car and could find parking within 250meter from the hostel for 6€ for 24 hour(weekends free i believe) besides toilets and showers were clean. To make it short a good hostel ill add a view photos with view from room and room itself
PunchLine — Google review
So good for a hostel. Spacious rooms. Bunk beds are bigger than usual. Sheets and linens are clean. Bathrooms and toilets are clean, and always refurbished with hand soap and toilet paper. There's free tea and coffee 24/7. Staff speak English. Everyone is respectful, polite, and helpful. Wonderful place to socialize. However, almost everyone smokes in Neustadt. If you're not ok with smoke, this might not be the best place. The hostel and the staff gave a fantastic experience altogether :)
Nikki A — Google review
Perfect spot with great atmosphere. Friendly and easy going staff, great drinks. The kitchen has everything you need to make your own food, the shower is even better than the one at home and there is always tea/coffee/someone to chat or a suggestion for the indecisive.
Susan J — Google review
The rooms are clean and tidy, the location is quite convenient, and the kitchen is decent enough to cook anything you might need! I especially appreciated Fabian's work, quite a nice and welcoming a nice person! I would absolutely come back!
Artur P — Google review
I won't stay here one more. Nothing bad with it, only facilities and location are all inconvenient and the atmosphere is not good. At night there's no much quiet downstairs, seems to be coming from its bar.

Outside the city, this is a good bargain hotel as it offers very nice rooms, well equipped and a complete breakfast.if you travel by car I recommend it very much. They have a large carpark for free, too
Ristoranti Q — Google review
A bit too far from the city center if you come to Dresden for holiday, but otherwise a good hotel. Very clean and spacious double room with simple but new furniture. Quiet location. Good breakfast. I give 4/5 because I think it is a bit too expensive, being quite simple and far from city center.

So over priced, no good food, totally not recommended

Very good hotel. As the name explains it is hotel to attend conferences in near by locations. The Akademihotel is near to airport. This hotel was good fit for us as I had 8 am flight. Breakfast service starts at 6.30 am sharp. And the rooms are neat and clean.

Loved the breakfast. Best breakfast I've ever had in a hotel, it has everything you could imagine. The rooms are ok, the only thing I missed was air conditioning because it was quite warm in the room in August.

The hotel features a spa, indoor pool, and dining facilities for guests to enjoy. Situated in the Neustadt district, it provides easy access to popular attractions such as Bruhl's Terrace and Frauenkirche Dresden. The hotel offers comfortable accommodation with a fitness center, private parking, garden, and terrace.
Rothenburger Hof is a lovely hotel with gorgeous breakfast served until 12pm! The staff are great and made us feel very welcome. Beautiful sunset views from the top floor room, loved the sauna & pool. The area is full of life, nice bars, shops and street art.
Emily V — Google review
I spent one night at Rothenberger Hof at the end of a bike trip. Really appreciated the helpful staff on my arrival who showed me to the indoor bike parking area. The room was large, wildly decorated and comfortable. It was a hot day (30C) so the room was warm but the windows do open. The pool was great and I loved the courtyard too. I chose to stay at the Rothenberger Hof because I wanted to stay outside of the centre in a more interesting neighbourhood and I am very happy with my choice. The area has great food - a ton of vegan / vegetarian options - cool music venues and bars and really interesting shopping.

Stayed twice now. Hotel is well situated for the Neustadt & trams for across Dresden. Staff are helpful & friendly. The rooms are also big, clean and quirky. Good breakfast but lots of great places to eat nearby as well.

Cool boutique hotel i Neustadt. Large and stylish rooms, and an amazing breakfast. Our room had a nice balcony. The hotel has a lovely pool. The location is in the midle of lively Neustadt, and you can reach Altstadt in 15-20 minutes by foot or faster by buss or tram. Perfect for families.
Stig E — Google review
A lovely, family-run hotel right in the Neustadt area of Dresden. First of all: the staff is very attentive and friendly, this is what really set the hotel apart from other places I've been to and made the stay very enjoyable. When booking directly through their website you can choose between rooms facing the street and rooms facing their courtyard. I chose the latter and was very happy with that, it was nicely quiet. The room itself was stylishly furnished and contained everything I needed. The breakfast was lovely, with coffee and scrambled eggs freshly prepared on request. I'm lactose-intolerant, and they had coffee options available for that. I'll remember this place for when I'm in town again. Also worth noting: * you can bring your pet free of charge * the hotel has a small pool and a sauna
Andrea B — Google review
The hotel is located in a modern hipster quarter with good access to, among other things, the Dresden Altstadt, which can be reached on foot. The hotel is small and seems romantic. However, not particularly comfortable. The rooms are small, especially the bathroom is small and with an outdated bathroom arrangement. (Why not just make a shower cabin?). The breakfast was unfortunately disappointing, there were only basic choices and bread that didn't seem quite fresh. The swimming pool was lovely, but the sauna/steam bath was closed. Maybe due to high electricity prices?. Still, they charged for the rental of bathrobes. It could have been made more flexible. We would love to come back, but more because of lovely Dresden than the hotel.
Per R — Google review
Awsome experience. Clean rooms. Soft towels. Wonderful location. Loads of detail and effort went into this place. I didn’t make use of the pool or breakfast but I’m sure they were superb. Carolyn who worked reception was attentive, professional and a shining beam of light. (Thank you Caro)
Luke B — Google review
Right smack in the middle of all the bustle in Neustadt, very conveniently and interesting with a vintage vibe. But as soon as you enter the Kitsch and glamour hits you. Velvet couches, big pink decoration and a moose. Anyway, the check-in was really nice, since we were allowed to store our suitcase and then after an hour, could check in 2 hrs earlier than expected. I mean some booking. Com places check-in at 4 pm, that's a rip-off. However this little boutique hotel was quaint as it even had a nice small pool which looked like from a 50ies movie with nice tiles. Our room was the one with the elephant and butterfly canvas, pinkish style but certainly well equipped. Asked for a kettle and no problem at all. Generally I would stay again, if there wasn't these really thin walls. We could barely speak the first night, as next door the customers were laughing so hard, often and loud it was like a show. It honestly wrecked us, we were tired. That's really the only manko as you say. Other than that, very nice.

Old style beautiful hotel with own spirit. This is so positively different to all these plastic network hotels these days. I would like to highlight beautiful garden as well with old mature trees. The only minus is breakfast which is too traditional and would need some extra touch and heart behind.

I was in this hotel just for one night with my family. But without waiting or thinking, our plans to stay for three more days were ruined. The "magnetic magic" effect of good behavior and generosity. The things that impressed us were the hospitality, the excellent and tasty food, the cleanliness and the pleasant surroundings that gave us peace and spiritual warmth. They gave us the feeling of being in my grandmother's house and pampered by her presence. An unforgettable memory that I can't wait to return to again for the next vacation. I recommend this wonderful environment. Respect.

The bed and breakfast has easy access to the sights across Dresden, making it great for tourists.
We spent one night at Hotel Martha, and it was truly a memorable experience. The rooms were beautifully designed, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. Everything was impeccably tidy, and to add a special touch for the Christmas season, they left a lovely biscuit and chocolate for us, which was such a thoughtful gesture. If I ever travel to Dresden again, I will definitely stay there!

Good location between the railway station and the city centre. Room was very basic, street level, noisy, no WiFi or any facilities such as a fridge or kettle for drinks. Staff not very helpful. Stayed 2 nights, would have been better to have just stayed the one.

Just a short stroll away from iconic attractions like the International Congress Center, Semperoper, and Zwinger, it serves as an excellent base for cultural exploration.
I loved everything about this hotel! The communication before booking was super friendly, we ended up booking two different rooms and both were wonderful. The bathroom is communal but was never a problem, there’s a large kitchen if you want to cook but also many fun restaurants nearby. Check in was easy at cafe Europa next door, and the price was perfect. Honestly, wish there was something like this in every city I visit.

This hostel was really cool! I had a room with quite an interesting design. Checkin was fast and easy, the night was quiet and comfy. The area is full of cafes and restaurants. Great stay and I think I will come back :)

It is a mini hostel without reception, check in is in nearby cafe. The decor of the rooms is really cool, bed is very comfy, showers and bathroom are very ok, kitchen is big and well equipped. The hostel is next to the tram stop but it isnt loud, because it is hidden in the backyard. The area is very clean and safe. I loved it.
Anna K — Google review
Excellent value for money if it is ok for you to have shared bathrooms and showers on the floor. Rooms are spacious and wonderfully decorated. Rooms and facility are spotlessly clean. Kitchen has the basics like 2 burner stove and 2 fridges for the guests. Elevator is a great help also. Staff is really nice and helpful.
Mona M — Google review
The place is very cool and well decorated. I didn't like the fact the hostel is just an apartment in a normal building and there is no doorman or anybody there to attend arriving guests. You have to call them. If you get there and have no cellphone, most likely you won't be able to get in. So know this before you arrive. The guy shows up like 10 minutes per day and guests are preety much on their own. Shared bathrooms, Cozy kitchen.
Pedro G — Google review
We booked the whole place for 14 people at 400 Euro for the weekend. Great prices and rooms. You rent bedding and towels for 4 Euro. I loved the big kitchen. The only issue was the man who checked us in. He could have been friendlier.

Cosy and comfortable "mini-hostel". It has everything you need. Linked with the café Europa, just next to it. The only downside were the curtains, they were a bit light, so light came in a bit too early to sleep well.
