British restaurant
Breakfast restaurant
Located in the heart of Leeds at the Victoria Quarter Arcades, The Ivy Victoria Quarter is a two-story restaurant known for its vibrant decor and British menu offerings. The restaurant's traditional green and gold Art Deco stylings create a stylish and elegant atmosphere, with outdoor seating available for sunny days. Renowned for its delectable afternoon tea, the venue features an art deco interior with gold leaf ceilings and a twenties-style bar.
We didn’t book, but decided to call in here to have a light bite and a glass of Prosecco in the outdoor dining area. The waiter, Jack, came straight over and offered us water. We chatted a little and he asked whether we were celebrating anything, and we told him that it was my birthday and that was our reason for being in Leeds. We explained we are only having a small plate because we have a meal booked later in the day. The food we had was amazing, I highly recommend the crab starter, it’s definitely a special dish. We finished our food and asked for the bill. Next, Jack walks over with a desert with a candle in it And it had a little chocolate saying happy birthday on it. I was over the moon and it made my day. I want to thank you so much for your kindness and amazing service. Jack is a credit to the Restaurant (which is absolutely stunning). A Service like this Is memorable for all the right reasons and I will probably never forget his kindness 🩷🩷🩷

We visited The Ivy, Leeds on July 16, 2025, to celebrate my daughter’s university graduation and had a fantastic experience. The restaurant is beautiful, perfect for a special occasion. I had the prix fixe menu with duck salad, sea bass, side of mashed potatoes and crème brûlée — all delicious. One of my daughters had the same but chose the chocolate bombe, which was amazing too. Service was top-notch, our server was lovely and super attentive. Even the bathrooms were pretty! Highly recommend!

Wow..... Food is incredible and amazing service. My steak was so good, cooked to medium and the hake was so well presented. The wine was beautiful but the port was served at the perfect temperature, along with the cheese!

All of the staff were friendly. The restaurant was bright and welcoming. Our waiter was very attentive, explained that the gift voucher value I had for a cream tea could be used on the main menu instead. We had the cream tea. It was lovely. We got a large pot of tea each and 3 fresh, warm scones with cream & jam each. We were offered an extra tea bag each as we like strong tea! As it was my birthday, the waiter brought me a giant profiterole with a candle in it. A lovely touch.

We were at the Ivy having Sunday lunch this weekend What a lovely Sunday lunch it was 🙂 The service from the staff was very attentive and helpful not to mention how friendly they all were also We had three courses and a nice bottle of Malbec 🍷 😋 We’ll be back again soon for sure 💯

The place it self is fabulous it looks very classy, it just the service isn’t up to par with what it is. We ordered a desert the chocolate bomb, which was ok but not a wow. Portion wasn’t big either, repo ally the ice cream scoop. We also ordered morning and afternoon tea which were very light which was disappointing as the presentation was nice. Overall wouldn’t go again disappointing especially for being over 25 pounds and with 12% service charge.

Dakota Hotel Leeds offers chic rooms and suites, some with complimentary minibars, in a sophisticated setting. The hotel boasts sleek and luxurious decor with modern fittings, making it one of the most stylish accommodations in Leeds. Guests can enjoy high-end amenities such as high thread-count cotton sheets, 48-inch digital TVs with Sky and Sky Sports, and indulgent monsoon showers.
I stayed at Dakota this month for three nights for my wedding. We booked the biggest suite in the hotel and it was absolutely amazing. The team here are something special, they all care about their job so much and made our and our guests experience an absolute joy. The suite was worth every single penny and is truly luxurious. Without a doubt this is the best hotel in all of Leeds and surrounding areas. I will recommend you to everyone. Thank you so so much for making our wedding stay one to remember forever ❤️❤️

Outstanding , is the word that describes our stay. We stayed on the Sunday deal that includes breakfast and late check out. The Hotel check in staff have exceptional customer service skills. Everywhere is spotlessly clean and smells amazing. Room was beautiful. Bar ambience was good. Breakfast was excellent. Would definitely recommend and will definitely return

A great hotel in the centre of Leeds. A fine serving breakfast (although better options available nearby). Staff are excellent and incredibly accommodating, even accepting a parcel I’d shipped prior to arriving. Only area for improvement would be a few more basic amenities in the room such as cotton buds in the bathroom and a mini fridge for keeping water cold. Loved our stay and would happily return!

We hosted our evening reception of our wedding here and what can I say. Best night of our lives. Our goal was to have a party, and it was just that!! From the get go, Alistair was amazing when it came to planning. We knew that we were going to be having our wedding lunch over at RBG, so we were arriving from 7pm on the evening. The planning was seamless. The communication was brilliant and I never once had any doubt or fear on Dakota (which as a bride LOL it can be real). We had meetings and catch ups about running of the night, and the team accommodated all of our requests which is great. We had the whole of the downstairs restaurant. We had the DJ set up by the bar without tables, which served as the best dance floor, and kept seating around the other side with the booths. We had a photo-booth in one of the rooms which is always a winner at a wedding. We had canapés come round in the evening (which were delicious), along with our wedding cake being served (which Chef cut up and sorted out for us - thanks Chef!!). The team working on the night were great - they were so nice, and on such a high along with everyone else. Shout out to George, Kyha, Jaden, Asher, Georgia, Fathia and Adelaide!! We have absolutely no faults with Dakota, it was so much fun and I wish we could do it all over again. The vibes were so high that my husband’s uncle actually thought we were in a club. Goal of having a party: completed, and then some!

An absolutely divine meal! I’m staying at the hotel and just popped downstairs for a convenient dinner option. The wagyu steak was melt-in-your-mouth perfection, the truffle mash rich and luxurious, and the Caesar salad crisp and refreshing. The truffle mushroom ravioli starter was pure indulgence—silky, aromatic, and unforgettable. Every dish was exceptional! Kudos to the Dakota team for yet another exceptional experience.

Fabulous place. Lovely big rooms, super comfy beds and a great shower. The bar closed at 11pm though, thought residents would be able to get late drinks. Guy on reception said, "you can get room service" but no menus /QRs or anything in the room 🤷🏼‍♀️ Very close to the station, has loads of bars and restaurants within 100yards too. Going to make this my regular hotel when up in Leeds seeing our clients.
Emma H — Google review
One of the best hotel stays I’ve ever had. The bed was really comfortable, the shades kept the room almost pitch black, we couldn’t hear any neighbors or people in the hallway. My one complaint was our bathroom door was squeaky (room 106).

Sunday lunch was absolutely incredible. José couldn't do enough for me. Such a great guy. Possibly the best dinner in Leeds. Thankyou to all the staff. Will definitely be coming back. 👌👌👌

LIVIN'Italy is a charming Italian bar and eatery located at Granary Wharf, offering a relaxed atmosphere and a variety of Italian breakfast options, snacks, full meals, and cocktails. The restaurant also features an Italian twist on the classic English afternoon tea, serving delicacies like miniature tiramisu and stuffed arancini balls.
We went for breakfast on Sunday and not only was it by far the most interesting options but the whole place looked great and had very friendly staff. The food we picked was both looked great and was delicious. Would like to go back for the more meals at another time of day as it looks good, if we are in town again.

Great food and friendly service! The dishes took a little long to arrive, but the quality and taste made up for it. I’d definitely come back again.

One bite at LIVIN’Italy and you’re sipping wine in Rome, not Leeds. Fresh pasta, gorgeous pizza, bold flavours, and serious Italian vibes this place gets it right. Perfect for date night or a carb-filled catch-up.

Lovely take on afternoon tea (pictured) they also did a great option for my friend who doesn’t eat meat. Great selection of cocktails which tasted amazing. Amazing service from Brincy, super attentive!

Laid back atmosphere and great service. The menu is extensive with plenty of variety and there’s a good selection of drinks. Excellent service from a friendly team, with fabulous food and drinks. Lovely ambiance and lighting couldn’t recommend it more!

It started with so much promise and in some ways went rapidly downhill … we had, Children’s carbonara Spicy sausage pasta Salami pizza Meatballs Garlic bread with tomato The spicy sausage (the sausage was so small as to be almost non existent) pasta arrived cold as in fridge cold as did the carbonara the pizza was good but not much salami the garlic bread was good but the meatballs were none to warm on the bottom but had decent flavour however three 30mm meatballs for £12.50 is taking the mick ! The service was great and attentive, the carbonara and the spicy pasta were deducted from the bill … all in all give it a miss overpriced and underwhelming.

My second visit here. I arrived solo without a booking (Saturday night) and was accommodated. All of the food and drinks were excellent, and I felt valued for money also in terms of both quality and portion size. All the staff were attentive, helpful and knowledgeable about the menu and origins of the dishes. My server was Alisha who was very friendly and I would recommend her service :) I will always return :) my pictures aren't great but the dessert called Hazelnut Baba was amazing, definitely give it a try.

Sky Lounge is a luxurious rooftop bar and lounge located on the 13th floor of the Doubletree by Hilton Leeds, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the city and Yorkshire. The sleek interior features floor-to-ceiling windows, while an outdoor terrace provides a breezy atmosphere. Guests can indulge in decadent afternoon tea, bottomless weekend brunch, or crafted signature cocktails from day to night.
We visited the Sky Lounge to catch the sunset, but the clouds had other plans. The views from the lounge did not disappoint, absolutely breathtaking. Both the views and atmosphere were incredible, making up for the missed sunset. The indoor area was too crowded, but given that it was a Saturday evening, that was to be expected.
Savvy — Google review
The moment I stepped into Sky Lounge, I fell in love with the vibe of the place. Lovely atmosphere! Being on the 13th floor, it has got great views of the Leeds city. There’s plenty of outdoor seating on the terrace along with ample indoor seats. The soft music playing in the background blended perfectly with the cheers and laughter of the guests. Speaking of the tea itself, we opted for cappuccino and were served a great assortment of finger sandwiches(which was very fresh), lovely scones and a beautifully curated selection of desserts. Had an awesome experience. Highly recommended!
Aditi D — Google review
Had afternoon tea at Sky Lounge on July 17, 2025. The food and cocktail were okay, and the view was decent. Service was super friendly and attentive, but overall it wasn’t the best afternoon tea I’ve had. I enjoyed it, but not enough to come back or recommend it. I’d probably try somewhere else next time.
Angela M — Google review
Sunday afternoon tea at Sky Lounge was a lovely experience with my OH, which we'd booked through buyagift. Booking was easy by phone and we were sent a text reminder the day before to confirm our booking. Had a beautiful window seat and service was friendly and efficient. Our finger sandwiches were excellent and probably the highlight of the afternoon tea. The Mango and passionfruit torte & the White chocolate raspberry delice were sublime. However the Mini chocolate fudge cake and Clementine tartlet were slightly stale and tasted like something from a poor supermarket bakery. The scones also didn't seem fresh and were heavy and brick like, rather than light and fluffy. They were saved by the Bonne Maman strawberry jam and the clotted cream. Great views and a chilled vibe. Would definitely consider coming back. Although as the sweet offerings were a bit of a mixed bag, we both agreed that a savoury only afternoon tea might work better, with a greater selection of delicious sandwiches or other additional savoury items instead.
Graham M — Google review
Located on a high floor, the lounge provides panoramic views of the city, creating the perfect backdrop for a drink or casual meal. The ambiance is sophisticated, with comfortable seating and a contemporary design. The cocktail menu is creative, featuring expertly mixed drinks, while the small bites are flavorful and well-presented. Service is friendly and attentive, ensuring a pleasant visit. Whether you're unwinding after a long day or enjoying a special evening out, the Sky Lounge at Hilton DoubleTree is a fantastic choice.
Aly — Google review
Been twice for bottomless brunch and both times has been good Service has varied, the first time I went the service couldn’t be better however the second time the service was much slower. Like most places it depends on the server and the day I had the chicken and waffles dish both times (larger tables have to pre-order well in advance) and it’s ok. The chicken is good but the dish is very dry. It does come with a syrup however nowhere near enough. Portions are small but in a place like this it is expected however you do expect better quality to compensate
Eleanor N — Google review
Highly recommend the brunch. Excellent value for money, top variety of drinks. Jessy our server was outstanding and catered to our every need. Also A blonde tall lad with longer hair curtains ( I didn't catch his name) are a credit to your team. Good atmosphere and tunes also! Keep up the good work and thanks again ☺️

Review: Hilton Sky Lounge - Leeds Rating: ⭐⭐⭐☆☆ The Hilton Sky Lounge in Leeds offers a unique and sophisticated setting for afternoon tea, with impressive views of the city skyline. While the atmosphere is undoubtedly charming, the overall experience falls somewhat short of expectations. The afternoon tea includes the traditional scone, which is delicious and served with a generous helping of clotted cream and jam. The sandwiches are also enjoyable, with a decent variety of fillings. However, the standout elements of afternoon tea stop there. Unfortunately, the cakes included in the afternoon tea are rather plain and uninspiring. They lack the creativity and flair that one might expect from a venue of this caliber. As a result, it's not uncommon for guests to leave these sweet treats uneaten. The service at Hilton Sky Lounge is satisfactory, but it doesn't stand out as exceptional. While the staff is polite and attentive, the overall experience lacks the special touch that would make it memorable. In summary, the Hilton Sky Lounge in Leeds offers a pleasant setting for afternoon tea, but the experience is marred by plain cakes and standard service. With a few improvements, this venue has the potential to be a fantastic destination for afternoon tea. For now, it earns a 3-star rating.

Lovely decor, we didn't book but it was very quiet when we arrived 1.30pm. Only two other tables occupied. No one came to great us or offered us a table, so we just seated ourselves. It was then a good 10 minutes until we were approached and our drink and food order were taken. A further 10 minutes for a coke to arrive, followed by a further long wait and then us to prompt for our water to be brought to us . We requested a highchair and one was provided, but unfortunately, it only had one of its straps which meant one of the parents had to sit with a hand on the chair to stop the baby sliping through. Starters came. They were piping hot and very, very tasty. Further long wait, to which we were starting to panic slightly as we had a train to catch but then the mains arrived. Well worth the wait as they were lovely. We had a couple of the lite bite steaks, great value and the steaks were cooked to perfection, well seasoned. The guy we spoke to as leaving was very friendly and lovely to talk to but unfortunately, the service was very poor considering how quiet it was. A shame because the food was very good.
Karen P — Google review
Appalling is the best I can say ! Light bulbs not working a filthy toilet with chewing gum stuck to the tiles the upholstered seating was badly stained on more than one of the chairs and sofas. filthy carpets … we were sat down given menus and on ordering not seating were informed that only one of the steaks of the four were available (we wanted three T bones) the pate was off the menu completely (old menu) two of us wanted to order that … plaster on the ceiling was cracked and missing, in fact the whole place is worn and in places dirty … we paid for drinks only half drunk and left in disgust Marstons should be ashamed avoid if possible … oh and 20 minute wait to order drinks and 15 for them to arrive.
David — Google review
Unfortunately, the bartender’s service was subpar and left a negative impression. I had a very disappointing experience with one of your bartenders during my visit for conference in your hotel. They were rude and made insulting remarks in front of other guests, which made me feel extremely uncomfortable and disrespected. This kind of behavior is not what I expect from a professional in hospitality, and it affected the overall atmosphere of the night. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, as I believe respectful service should be a basic standard for any establishment.

Came for a hen party on Saturday 14th June we had bottomless brunch and I have to say it was amazing, food was great and cocktails were lovely, I don’t remember the name of the lady that served us but she did an amazing job of looking after us and we will definitely visit again

Had my sisters wedding reception in the boardroom at lost and found on Albion place. Was an excellent day, felt very relaxed and in good hands with the team. The wedding party thoroughly enjoyed themselves and thought the room we had was lovely. Great service, tasty food (especially the bruschetta) great drinks. Planning the event was easy and communication was consistent and always had quick responses. They really helped make my sisters wedding reception perfect and stress free! Would definitely recommend for small/intimate wedding receptions.

Step into the past at Just Grand! Vintage Tearoom, a delightful cafe located in the heart of Leeds. The tearoom boasts a vintage interior with antique furniture and classic tea sets, offering a nostalgic experience reminiscent of 1940s and 50s Britain. Indulge in a traditional afternoon tea featuring an assortment of finger sandwiches, freshly baked scones with clotted cream and jam, as well as an array of cakes and pastries.
Beautiful pink cafe with excellent customer service. We had the vegetarian afternoon tea and the food was extremely delicious and filling. The ambience is very pink and beautiful with vintage vibes and it has a cozy atmosphere. Delicious tea, sandwiches and treats at a reasonable price to treat yourself. Really loved it and will go again!

A fabulous tea room. I used a gift voucher and pre booked as it was my first time in Leeds The afternoon tea was amazing. The ambiance was perfect , loved the the decor , the gorgeous Vintage tea pots, cups and saucers and embroidered tablecloths Everything was beautifully presented. The sandwiches were freshly made with delicious homemade scones and many varieties of cakes They cater very well for dietary requirements, I had pre ordered a gluten free afternoon tea for my husband. He was very impressed with the quality and choice of the sandwiches and homemade scone and cakes The young lady who served us was lovely, so attentive and welcoming Thank you for a memorable experience

Fresh and homemade selection with their afternoon tea. A wide tea selection on their menu available for take away as well as whilst dining. I did book in advance using a voucher and would definitely return. The scones were incredible, we were given an option from the cakes and we're happy with what we picked. Not very large so if a big group definitely book in advance. Have locally knitted / crocheted blankets incase you get cold whilst here.

I've been here before and really enjoyed it but the reception yesterday was poor. We were looking for somewhere to have a cup of tea and had a little girl with us who wanted ice cream. They only serve ice-cream in the milkshakes, so said no they couldn't serve ice-cream on its own .... honestly! There wasn't another customer in the place. We left. How hard would it have been? Clearly they're well off for business and don't need customers.

Amazing place! Did a little girly baby shower afternoon tea and the staff was super helpful and the food was so yummy with pleasing fussy eaters. I got 2 little kids afternoon and they loved it! We went for traditional and Caribbean and everyone enjoy them. My personal fav was the scones, Yumm! With it begin a baby shower I was able to pre-order non-alcohol drinks. Would deffo recommend for any occasion or just a pop in during the week. Thanks so much!

The Queens Hotel is a modern establishment housed in an impressive art deco building. Located in the heart of Leeds city center, it offers convenient access to the train station and various entertainment options. The hotel's elegant bar and grill restaurant provide a sophisticated dining experience, while its event space is suitable for special occasions. With valet parking available, guests can easily explore nearby attractions such as the Royal Armouries and the Yorkshire Dales.
Exceptional service for the price! The breakfast was delicious with an impressive variety of options. The location couldn’t be more convenient since you can literally roll your suitcase straight in from Leeds train station through the rear entrance. The front desk staff were incredibly warm and helpful. I accidentally left a small bag in my room after check-out, and when I called, they quickly retrieved it and kept it safely at reception for me to collect later. The on-site restaurant on the ground floor is also excellent — tasty dishes with a 10% discount for hotel guests. Definitely worth a try!

We stayed at the Queens hotel over a weekend as a couple and a dog. If you like Art Deco you'll love the hotel which has a classical style. The interiors of the public spaces on the ground floor are also well maintained and gorgeous. Even the staircases have a kind of shabby 1930s chic. We had a room facing the square on the first floor. The room was clean, well laid out, modern but sympathetic to the architecture and spacious. Windows were steel with secondary glazing and there was a little noise (Leeds is not a quiet city) but nothing to bother us. We didn't have a bath and the shower cubicle was fine, albeit a bit claustrophobic (and why can hotels NEVER manage to have showers that don't leak all over the floor). The hotel doesn't charge anything extra for dogs but equally isn't able to provide things like bowls for water etc (for "hygiene reasons") so come prepared. Staff were helpful and friendly, including late night security on the door. The hotel is right by the station, and has a connecting entrance, so is very convenient. No parking at the hotel but there are discounts at local car parks. I would definitely stay here again.

I love the Queens as a building, and I’ve stayed several times. But this time we were disappointed. The room was comfortable and well decorated but not well looked after. The bathroom was not properly clean with chipped paint on the door frames and tiles that hadn’t been cleaned properly. Even though I checked out well ahead of time, housekeeping will already trying to get into my room after I came back from breakfast and I felt that they were deliberately trying to rush me out. We were also really disappointed to find that room service finishes at 9 pm. So we tried the bar, to find that the bar food also finished at this time, And also that despite the hotel website saying that the restaurant is open until 1 am, we were told it had finished serving at 9:15, just after we got there. I realise the bar and restaurant are run by a different company but they are advertised as part of the hotel and so the fact that the staff there were offhand and unhelpful, bordering on rude does reflect back on the hotel itself. It also really isn’t acceptable that a hotel of this advertised quality does not provide any food after 9 pm at night. We’ve been back and stayed in Leeds since. We stayed somewhere else that is less beautiful and outwardly swanky. But the service was much better and the rooms were much cleaner and that is where we will stay in Leeds in future.

We stayed at The Queens Hotel in Leeds twice during our UK trip and both stays were very good. We were given quiet (as requested) spacious rooms with comfortable beds and good bathrooms with great showers!. The rooms had large TV’s and everything was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was included and was satisfactory, though the coffee was disappointing (luckily plenty of coffee shops nearby). Reception staff were excellent—friendly, personable and professional.

Amazing experience last night at this hotel for our wedding anniversary. Such a beautiful place, decor and architecture of the building is amazing. Couldn’t stop looking at it. Staff were exceptional. So kind and attentive. They left us a lovely gift for our anniversary. So kind . Will definitely be back. Thank you for making our stay perfect 😍 xx

Lovely hotel with a stylish reception area. Staff are very friendly. Rooms a little on the small side for my liking but good value overall. Perfect location next to Leeds Train Station.

A very good room price that included breakfast and a bottle of prosecco. The room was very clean with a comfortable bed and in a quiet situation. There are no phones in the room so contact within the hotel is via the Internet, facilitated by a QR code on the hotel card. The staff were very friendly and efficient throughout the hotel although Dean, who changed our tv remote deserves a special call-out. He was super quick, very efficient and extremely welcoming. The breakfast was of a good quality and well cooked. This all added up to a very enjoyable night away.

The hotel's chic styling includes mood lighting, cozy chairs, and exclusive toiletries for guests to enjoy. This boutique hotel boasts vibrant and dramatic interiors with unique and artistic designs that combine classical and modern aesthetics, creating an unforgettable experience for guests.
Quiet and comfortable and convenient to train and shopping. We had two fabulous meals in the restaurant… the best since arriving in England. Thursday night half price steaks - flat iron and filet - and sides were cooked perfectly. Great desserts, too. Breakfast was better than that of our 5 star hotel in York. Fresh and hot with more options than the usual heavy English fare. Only one caveat, stairs from street to reception and the step down from tub/shower may be tricky for some.

We stayed here last Friday as we were taking in a concert at the arena, We chose this hotel specifically for the location, just a 15 min walk and close to the city centre. Easy to find when driving in and the car park booking (Q Parks) worked a treat, Check in was swift and easy, the room was ready 30 mins prior to check in which was a bonus. The upgraded room was nice, no problems with noise up on the 4th floor and the room facilities were as you would expect. Nothing flashy that blew your mind but it was a good size, very clean and a nice bathroom. Food wise we only ate Breakfast there and it was very good. I tried a bit of the chef's grenola and it was the best I have had anywhere, seriously. The full English was on point, a nice sized portion without going over the top. My only gripe would be the bar and breakfast area, it was too dark in there for my liking, I appreciate it's in the cellar so there wasn't much natural light but the decor was dark and drab too. It needs brightening up to put you in a good mood. Overall it was a great overnight stay, we go to Leeds often and we have stayed in numerous hotels but providing it remains competitively priced, it will be our go to hotel in the future

What a lovely experience! We paid for an upgrade and it was well worth it. We loved the reward system in place for choosing not to have our room serviced or towels changed for the three nights we stayed. The tea/coffee etc. was replenished every day, as usual. We had virtually free cocktails for two nights with the vouchers issued to us. We were very happy, and the hotel did their bit for the environment, winners all round! On our last night, we ate in the restaurant, and it was wonderful. The creme brulee was especially impressive... The breakfasts were fantastic, beautifully presented and very very tasty. A really good selection of cooked options too, and beautifully cooked. I had the best eggs benedict ever! Quality ingredients too. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, especially the young girl in the restaurant and bar, she made our meal even more special. The young lady at reception (Zeinab) booked us in and out for our stay. She was so welcoming and interested about our visit to Leeds. We told her about our planned visit to the ballet and she asked if we had enjoyed it when we checked out! That's good service. So, top marks to this quirky hotel, we will be back. Had an afternoon tea. The food was wonderful, much better than just a few finger sandwiches and a scone. The staff where very friendly and helpful, when they found out we where celebrating our 50 wedding anniversary we where given a glass of champagne. Would recommend everyone to go and try it

Lovely hotel, last visited 6 years ago and still as good as it was the last time. Great vibe and ambiance, my room - a Club - was very large, extremely clean, and comfortable. Nice little touches like four Nespresso pods, fancy tea, nice biscuits and a couple of Ferraro Rochers. Beds incredibly comfortable, couldn’t hear any noise at all, and black out curtains kept out the light! It was my birthday stay and was pleasantly surprised to receive a voucher for two free cocktails in the hotel bar. The bartender was fab, environment was great - 10/10 all round for the stay and would def come back. Price/performance ratio excellent.

Great hotel and room, restaurant looked very good, although we didn't eat there on this occassion, fantastic proximity to the city centre with everything close by that you could possible want. Although we had a slight issue with the bathroom (coating peeling away from the bath) which meant we requested to change rooms (partner was looking forwards to having a soak all day!), the staff were great and resolved for us without issue or delay. For the sake of a little more than a typical budget hotel (such as one across the road), I'd happily confirm that its worth paying that little extra for the extra room and additional comforts such as a coffee machine, fridge (with 2 complimentary bottles of water) and bathrobes and slippers!

Five-Star Stay at Malmaison Leeds for Pride 🌈 Stayed at Malmaison Leeds during Pride weekend and couldn’t have asked for a better experience! From check-in to check-out, everything was seamless. The room was spotless, stylish, and super comfortable — a perfect base to relax and recharge during such a fun-filled weekend. A special shoutout to Lorna, who went above and beyond to make our stay extra memorable. She was warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful — nothing was too much trouble. It’s rare to meet staff who genuinely care, and she made a real difference to our visit. The location is perfect for exploring the city and soaking up the Pride atmosphere. Thank you, Malmaison Leeds, for such a fabulous stay — we’ll definitely be back!

Had a lovely family lunch here one Sunday, it was rather quiet which is a shame as the venue is stunning. Very instagramable! The food is great too, we opted for a combination of tapas and main courses and it was all really tasty. Service very good and all staff friendly. We opted to be seated in a booth inside, most people were sat on the terrace area. I would love to go back and try the brunch with the girls! We tried their sister restaurant Nesso in Morley the other week, completely different vibe but just as good, worth a visit!

We came here for a baby shower, and we were in the back of the restaurant which was very nicely decorated. There was about 15 of us in total. We'd pre ordered food and drinks. I will say service was very bad. No staff were coming up to us to refill tap water even when we asked, to ask what drinks we wanted, nor did they bring any of the drinks we'd pre ordered unless we asked them more than once. The starters came relatively on time but after that we were waiting over an hour for food, and we'd asked them a couple of times. When the food came, it was quite cold and not that nice especially after such a long wait. It was hard to get any condiments too, salt and pepper shakers were empty. It seemed there were enough staff and the restaurant was quite empty so I don't know what took so long. Maybe for a small group it is okay but it wasn't really worth it for a larger gathering. Restaurant is otherwise pretty and has good options for food.

Arrived then waited 15 mins for a drink. Couldn’t believe when I saw dirty food on my fork ( see picture). Didn’t come with mushrooms as it described on the menu. Slow service compared to every other brunch I’ve done. The guy serving wasn’t to blame/ he was lovely. Just poor management. This was for a birthday so felt like it should’ve been special but it was a shambles. Just go somewhere else x

Brasserie
Browns Leeds is a classic British brasserie and bar that offers a grand cafe setting, serving both classic and seasonal dishes along with signature cocktails. The chain has been around since 1973 and is known for its venues housed in unique landmark buildings with rich historical significance. Their gluten-free menu features a variety of high-quality seasonal dishes made from fresh ingredients.
Always love coming to Browns, I’ve been visiting for years. Love the decor, the vintage feel of the place and the food is AMAZING. Sometimes the service can be a little slow, the waitresses can be seen standing around having a gossip when you might need them, but they’re very friendly and good at their job. Had brunch today and it was so good - can’t recommend the pancakes enough 🥞

The food was exceptional, it was beautifully presented and delicious. Our server, Steaven, provided outstanding service; his recommendations were spot-on, and his humor added a delightful touch to our meal. Additionally, the efficiency of the kitchen was amazing, as all our courses arrived promptly. Overall, it was a lovely dining experience that I highly recommend.

The afternoon tea was an absolute delight—elegantly presented, with a perfect balance of sweet and savoury treats. Each bite was beautifully crafted, and the scones were warm, fluffy, and paired wonderfully with clotted cream and jam. The tea selection was impressive, with rich, aromatic blends that complemented the food perfectly. What truly made the experience exceptional, however, was Darcey. She was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, making everyone feel special. Her charm and grace elevated the whole afternoon. It’s rare to find such impeccable service matched with such quality fare. A truly memorable and lovely experience.

We dine regularly at Brown's all around the country, this was our first time at the Leeds restaurant. Service was a bit slow and the food not of the usual standard we experience at others in the chain. Perhaps just an off night for them, so will give a 2nd chance another day

Me and my friend had a last minute meal, with no booking. Ousoumana swatted us to our table and was very welcoming. Bella was our waitress and gave lots of recommendations, to help us choose. Mat was very supportive when we had a problem with my payment card. All round great service and I we will definitely be back.

We recently visited here for family gathering. Booked online for table for 8 people (deposits required). It was Thursday evening and very quiet. We really enjoyed the atmosphere, food and drinks. The fillet steak and salad here are always great. They also care about the allergy so my family can eat very comfortably. We also tried some cakes from here last time and me and my husband absolutely loved it. It looked pretty and tasted really good. One negative point is that they often take relatively long time to serve our drinks and they sometimes forget our drink orders (it’s not only once it happened before too). Anyway, we will come back for sure if we have any special occasions.

Enjoyed a pleasant lunch in what was a very quiet restaurant. Our favourite Browns in Manchester is located in a lovely building (ex Victorian bank) whereas Leeds is not so distinctive. We tried the 'early bird' 3 course menu which was both delicious and very reasonable, Service was a little slow, especially considering how quiet it was, but not to the extent of spoiling our enjoyment. Overall we enjoyed our meal without experiencing the sumptuous feeling that Manchester provides.

With a delightful array of freshly made treats and the soothing sounds of a live pianist serenading guests from 10 am to 2 pm, this family-run eatery is perfect for all occasions. Their afternoon tea offerings are particularly noteworthy, featuring three distinct options that cater to both savory and sweet cravings.
It is a high quality fine dine restaurant. What's amazing is their staff and service. Their entire staff was so friendly and hospitable we felt as guests at their homes rather than their restaurant. Then there was the food, delicious large portions of food. We ordered 5 dishes and realised even 2 would have sufficed. Brilliant rich taste and gigantic portion size. If you're looking for a pleasant dining experience and wish to return home with a smile, do visit pearls.

Very extensive menu. We had a Greek salad and the Dynamite Prawns plus chips. The latter two were decent. Greek salad should really come with Kalamata olives, oregano, olive oil and red onion, none of which were present in the dish but the rest of the ingredients were fresh. The atmosphere was nice, with recorded piano music and the staff were helpful and service was quick. Would be nice to catch the live piano music at some point if they do actually have a piano player. Hope to return at some point to try other dishes. In summary, Pearl's is a decent place for a bite to eat though not in the same category as something like Betty's Tea Rooms as it caters to a different crowd with different tastes.

First time trying pearls after it being recommended, Initial impression of the interior was really nice. When entering No one greeted us and we stood for a little while it wasn’t overly busy ( female servers walking around just glanced at us but didn’t come over ) No one asked us if we wanted anything during the duration of our visit we had to call people over each time for drinks and dessert ect . The male member of staff behind the counter was much better when we went up to choose cakes The food was nice and came out fairly quickly, good portions the children really enjoyed it Overall nice food service lacking

What a wonderful little cafe. 1920’s or 40’s themed. Not immediately obvious it’s there from the outside, they have a nice window with some of their treats in but their seating is all downstairs and there’s a good few tables. All decorated lovely, some old music playing. The food was nice. Had the afternoon tea the sandwich was on nice fresh bread and tasted good. The scone was lovely. The staff were so nice, very helpful and kind.

Popped in for a light lunch and enjoyed the quirky atmosphere, and music. Plus if you like the look of the decor most of it is for sale. I had a smoked salmon and cream cheese sandwich, in regulation triangles and my daughter had a vegetarian chili wrap which was piping hot and cheesy! Stayed here for 1 night. Beds very comfortable, no issues with the room, nice, light, airy and spacious. The staff are very accommodating. Car park is a good size with EV charging points. don't forget to register your number plate on their system, there are numerous available. A very good-sized bar and restaurant. Breakfast was cheap and nice with lots of choice. There is a quaint welcoming pub on site that also serves food. The reception staff were extremely helpful. I had to wait round for a few hours waiting for my partner, There are pods in the reception area that have TVs in I was able to cast my phone to it and connect my ear phones and watch TV in peace and quiet. There is also a David Lloyd gym and spa on site. A very nice place that i would definitely return to!

I’ve been a loyal patron of Weetwood Hall in Leeds for over 20 years, but unfortunately, my recent experiences have left me incredibly disappointed. This used to be a fantastic venue, offering great service, a welcoming atmosphere, and a perfect setting for both casual and special occasions. However, it seems that those days are long behind us. The management has taken a noticeable downturn, and the once exceptional service has completely disappeared. The staff, who were once attentive and friendly, now appear disinterested, unhelpful, and downright rude. On multiple occasions, I found myself waiting for extended periods to be served, only to be met with indifference. It’s truly shocking to see such a sharp decline in what was once a highly regarded establishment. I’d hoped that my long-standing loyalty to Weetwood Hall would be reflected in the service, but it's clear that the venue no longer values its regular customers. As much as I used to recommend it to friends and family, I can no longer do so with a clear conscience. The charm and quality that made Weetwood Hall a go-to spot for many years is gone, replaced with a lackluster approach to customer service. If you're considering visiting, I'd strongly suggest looking elsewhere. It's one to avoid for the foreseeable future. Such a shame for what was once a fantastic place.

We came up from the Midlands with around 90 guests. Guests had booked 30+ rooms, as our son was getting married in Leeds. Staff were curtious, friendly and cooperative. Nothing was a problem. They even accommodated for families with babies and provided additional support without any hesitation and cost. Flexibility approach in support was exceptional. Will definitely return and recommend to others. Thank you Weetwood Hall.

I have frequented Weetwood hall over the years mostly for events or working on my laptop. I have always found it very pleasant and good staff service. I did have an issue crop up where their parking company issued me a charge, despite me being a customer. It only surfaced after a few years had already elapsed and had ballooned into a £175 charge. I took it to the Weetwood staff, and after a little bit of a battle with the parking company, it was ultimately dropped.

Nice clean hotel, I traveled with my wife our grand child and our dog. The only thing I would suggest you look at would be the breakfast seating. Where I understand dogs are not allowed in the breakfast area we were asked to sit in the reception area and you would lay the table. The problem was these were coffee tables and not really useful to eat your breakfast off as they are to low. Maybe this is something you look at, we wasn't offered anywhere else to sit.

Have been 3 times the first occasion we had a wonderful dinner with friendly attentive staff. The first occasion was great good food and staff. The second time saw a change of staff the chef used an experimental Chinese beef - universally agreed as inedible due to an excessive use of spice and salt. The manager was surly and unhelpful, a lovely waitress took the initiative and resolved the situation.

Today my partner and I went to an amazing tea room in Idle. DOGS WELCOME. The service was amazing, felt like you was in Alice in Wonderland! Very clean and tidy, it was small but cosy. The food was incredible, I swear I have tried scones from so many places and never liked it but today that changed! Every was so fresh and delicious. Every one was welcoming, we even got a puppacino (warm milk, whipped cream and a doggy biscuit). I absolutely recommend making a reservation. Absolutely worth 5⭐️ & everything was reasonably priced.

Absolutely wonderful service, friendly and welcoming staff who were knowledgeable and accommodating. Really tasty afternoon tea, coffees and cakes - all of which are homemade, and you can appreciate that in the quality of products. Very cute decor and crockery which suits the styling of the venue. Making it stand out from the growing competition in Idle. Looking forward to returning again and enjoying more of the menu and ambience.

This charming tearoom offers an array of themed events throughout the year, including luxurious afternoon teas and unique activities like haunted house experiences and festive wreath-making sessions. The decor is nothing short of stunning, filled with quirky details that invite exploration at every turn.
I have wanted to visit for ages and it didn't disappoint from start to finish. The room is absolutely beautifully decorated it was stunning. The food was well worth the wait too. We had non alcoholic prosecco on arrival with pate and warm bread then you could pick another drink off the list with your sandwiches and then a third drink with your cakes and desserts. We were absolutely stuffed so we bagged up some cakes to bring home.

We had a lovely time here this afternoon. A calm atmosphere, amazing decor, friendly service. We enjoyed how it wasn’t just a ‘traditional’ afternoon tea it was so much more!

What a fantastic place! We loved the decor and all the quirky touches - it’s clear to see how much care, time and thought has gone into it. The food was beautifully presented and tasted as good as it looked. The owner and all the staff are so welcoming and friendly. Highly recommended, we will definitely be back.

A magical place where you are made to feel just as magically special!! The decor is amazing with so much character and fun! There is so much to see and the quirkiness is just the best! We had a lovely afternoon tea with delicious sandwiches & cakes. There was more than enough for the 3 of us, so much so that we could not finish what was there. Do not fear, you are given a goodie box for what you do not finish to take home with you….much to my husbands delight! A little gem of a place, family run and you can see how much love and care has gone into creating a wonderful space. Will definitely be back!! Thank you Twisted Teapot! ❤️

Best afternoon tea I've been to. The atmosphere, choice of drinks and variety of food were amazing. The decor was stunning and the staff were lovely.

I had such a lovely experience here. From the moment I arrived, I could tell this place had a lot of character and charm. It’s not overly polished, but that’s part of what makes it feel so warm and welcoming. Inside, it felt relaxed and cosy. The decor is a bit eclectic, but in a way that feels intentional and personal—like somewhere that’s been put together with care rather than following a template. The afternoon tea was really enjoyable. It wasn’t your typical traditional setup, but that actually made it more interesting. Everything was nicely presented, and there was a good mix of savoury and sweet items with some fun, creative touches. What stood out to me most was how friendly and attentive the staff are. They clearly care about what they do and want people to enjoy themselves. Even little things, like how the bill was brought over in an old book, added to the quirky charm of the place. I would definitely recommend a visit.

We had the best time having afternoon tea here. A truly unique experience in the most wonderful setting. The owner has made this place look and feel like stepping into a fairytale story and we had such a lovely experience. We came for our birthdays and do not regret it! Yes it’s not your typical traditional afternoon tea (we had the beauty and the beast theme) but every element is thought out and beautifully presented and perfectly prepared. If you want a boring unoriginal afternoon tea you’re in the wrong place.

Angelica & Crafthouse is a stylish, contemporary restaurant located on the 5th floor of Trinity Leeds, offering stunning views of Boar Lane and the surrounding area. The restaurant serves a British menu featuring chargrilled dishes and fine wines. With a dedicated Christmas menu, à la carte options, and seven-course tasting menus using high-quality ingredients from local providers such as Ginger Pig butchers in North Yorkshire, guests can enjoy an exceptional dining experience.
I had a beautiful experience and I will definitely revisit. Getting off the lift, the reception from staff and atmosphere was very warm and welcoming. I enjoyed all the meals I ordered and also tried the cauliflower steak (it was my first time trying a vegetarian dish and it was delicious). I also loved the idea of savouring my meal while seated in a room filled with plants. If you really don’t like plants you might be a bit uncomfortable as this location could pass for a beautiful greenhouse.

Angelica & Crafthouse is a charming venue for celebrations, offering a delightful atmosphere and an excellent location. While the food is of average quality with small portions that lean towards the pricey side, the overall experience makes it worth a visit.

Stunning food, great service. We had a fantastic experience. We asked to share our starters, no problem at all. We had asparagus and the scallops. Both beautiful. The lamb was beautiful too very tastes and cooked medium rare which is just how I like it. I am sure they would cook it to your preference. , I had it with the blackened carrots. Cod was so chunky too and cooked to perfection. We were so full but we had the cheeseboard and again it was delicious and even put on extra crackers! Lovely birthday and anniversary treat we Will definitely be back Thank you!

My partner and I visited for the first time a couple weekends ago and we absolutely loved it! Staff are welcoming and friendly. The atmosphere is lovely. For starters I ordered the asparagus, which I had never tried before and was absolutely delicious. My boyfriend ordered the mackerel, which was a tiny bit salty for his own tastebuds but still really enjoyed. We had the steak and the duck breast for mains and both dishes were incredible. Sticky toffee pudding to finish and wow! So delicious. The staff even brought a complimentary glass of champagne and small pudding for my boyfriends birthday. The attention to detail at craft house is immaculate. We both absolutely loved our experience there and cannot wait to go again.

Well, can I give a sixth star? What a great night we've had at Crafthouse, the welcoming, the venue and the care we received from the staff was very professional throughout the all experience. I booked for my girlfriend birthday celebrations and left a message due to dietary requirements, few minutes later I received a phone call from reception and they reassured me that all our needs will be met, she was right! The menu is great, and the execution of the dishes was faultless, superb so was the quality of the ingredients and the presentation. The floor staff is very knowledgeable and caring, all I have left to say is that I'll be dining at Crafthouse over and over again, I can't wait!

Really good food, the pork shoulder, scallops, olives, foccacia bread, and the cod were just sublime. The manager was really good and the waiters too. Truly recommended
Sara C — Google review
Sadly I think that Crafthouse has gone downhill. I have visited multiple times over the years that it has been open, but I think this will likely be my last visit. The food was good, and the staff all very pleasant. Portions were good, and the food was good value for money. However, for a restaurant listed in the Michelin Guide I would expect a higher level of service. The main issues seemed to stem from a very disjointed link between the drink orders and the food orders.. For example we ordered cocktails as an aperitif, yet they arrived during our first course (having an ice cold cocktail to accompany hot soup is just not good enough). Our butter was taken away before we had finished our bread, we asked for a second bottle of water that never appeared, and the heavy bass/noise from the bar upstairs did come across more as noise as opposed to atmosphere. It's not a bad place to visit: the food was on the whole very good, but overall the experience was not worth the money and it's the first time I have ever asked for the service charge to be removed.
Gavin B — Google review
You need to know where you're going to find this place as hidden away. Set on the 3rd floor you take a lift and are met by staff. We sat outside as a lovely night and it was very pleasant. We asked for cocktails and placed our order saying that we didn't want starter until cocktails finished. They came when we were still only halfway through 🤨 Then we were almost onto our main course with no bottle of wine and had to remind them. Starters of tuna tatiki and the asparagus were very good. Mains of duck and the stone bass also good but I wasn't keen on the celeriac sauce . The extra chips were great and could have had more of them. A nice bottle of rosé completed meal and it came to £140 with surcharge. Nice staff but just wish they'd listened to our request.

Spanish restaurant
Tapas bar
Wine bar
Ibérica Leeds is a sophisticated Spanish dining room located in a converted auction house. It offers an elegant atmosphere and a long wine list. The restaurant features tapas, paella, artisan cheeses, and cured meats by Michelin-starred Executive Chef Nacho Manzano. This location is one of eight across the UK and only the third outside of London.
This place was on my restaurant bucket list for so long and finally tried it today. We were blown away by how authentic the experience was and how welcoming the staff were. Coleen welcomed us in as one of the first lunch customers. She provided a great wine recommendation using her own knowledge and my preferences. The £20 lunch special is amazing with generous portions, even better when in a group as you can all share. This is one of those places which is tucked away but worth a visit. We will be back for dinner.
Ruth M — Google review
The restaurant is lovely inside and the service was great, but the food was simply too expensive for what it was. I understand tapas are small plates usually for sharing but I didn’t think it was worth the money. The cheese/meat board was almost £20 for a very limited amount of cheese and meat. The croquettes and patatas bravas were good. We also got the corn fed baby chicken which was tasty but extremely small portion for about £18!
Kat — Google review
Iberica looks absolutely amazing on the inside, the aesthetics are wonderful its a shame the food doesn't quite match the same standard. 2 of us had 5 dishes between us and 1 alcohlic drink each costing us in and around £80. Between £10-£15 per tapas dish you'd expect the portion sizes to be worthy of this price, sad to say that they were not. The chorizio lollipops were nice but the actual chorizio wouldn't feed a mouse if you tried and the patatas bravas I could have done a better job with not just frying potatoes and lathering them in sauce, although again they were nice. I noticed the chefs touching the food without gloves on, i trust their hands are clean as should be the surfaces. Luckily i am someone without any food allergies but for someone with them i wouldn't be surprised about the possibility of cross contamination. On the positive side the staff were friendly and offered their recomendations of the lamb (pictured), which turned out to be utterly wonderful, the tenderness of the lamb made it obvious that it has been slow cooked for hours before hand and the garnishes gave it a perfect sweetness to it, with a half decent portion size to go with it. The authenticity of the spanish restaurant was kept as I overheard the waitresses speaking spanish which is a quality i really liked. I would reccomend this restaurant but only as a one time "for the experience" thing or maybe for a posh lunch, though you won't get far if you are trying to have plenty of alcohol but cost effective time as the only pint they offer, estrella, will cost you £7 a go, though the glasses of Rose are reasonably priced. Cant fault the staff they were friendly and offered recommendations and we were seen to pretty quickly at the same time as giving us plenty of time to think about our choices. And the toilets were really cool. 6.5/10

Really enjoyed our visit here. Beautiful building, very nice food and excellent service. Food wise we enjoyed the Chorizo lollipops, pan con tomate, tortilla and patatas bravas. We loved the Tempura hake, blue cheese salad, sherry mushrooms and the desserts. Excellent selection of Spanish wines too.

My family and I came to a celebrate a graduation on Tuesday, and we were amazed by the food and the efficient service I’d like to thank our server Malca for her efficient and attentive service, she was so welcoming to us even with a busy graduation crowd filling the restaurant We were greeted with a glass of cava each, which was a lovely surprise - My personal food recommendation would be the seafood paella, and the Sweet Potato with Lemon foam, but everything tasted divine ✨ Thank you! We can’t wait to come back

Beautiful birthday lunch enjoyed with my husband. It made a perfect oasis stop in the middle of Christmas shopping. Service was friendly and helpful, but not obtrusive. Tasty small dishes, but we were both satisfied by our meal. A real luxurious treat.
Claire-Lise H — Google review
This place is amazing! First of all the staff is lovely. All the tapas platters that we tried were brilliant. Padron peppers are amazing, but the greatest is the churros !!! We were a bit suspicious whether it would be the same food experience as we had in Spain. Frankly, it may even be more delicious. The food, drinks, atmosphere, and staff; basically everything is lovely. They forgot to bring my espresso and I have been informed that due to this inconvenience, the coffee will be on the house, which means that they care about their customers. There is a 12.5% service charge included in the bill which is completely deserved. Next time we will come with our group of friends to enjoy more and try paellas.
Gokberk S — Google review
We had a family meal here. Absolutely FANTASTIC. I’m from Spain and always looking for good Spanish food and can never find it. The croquetas, peppers, jamon iberico were 10 out of 10 seriously. The seafood paella could improve a little but still no complaints. The building itself is amazing, and although it sounds odd the bathroom is incredible. One of the best Spanish restaurants outside of Spain I’ve been to 👏👏

Had been wanting to visit here a while but unfortunately was slightly disappointed, we seemed to have visited at a pretty busy time which probably had an impact but the staff were friendly and it's a cute place. I liked all the decorations etc however we did have to wait quite a long time time (over half an hour) for the wrap which my cousin found to be a bit underwhelming and the houmous and bread - the focaccia was amazing though! We were pretty cold but appreciate it's a big space to heat on a cold day and there were attempts to with heaters about, and multiple plates had soap suds still on them. At least they'd been washed at least but could have done with a proper dry too 😅 So overall not a terrible visit but think expectations might have been a bit too high.

I went for a day trip to Wakefield from Leeds on 23rd May. The first thing I wanted was a good coffee shop with good cakes. I passed quite a few coffee shops which were mediocre, until I walked into "Marmalade on the Square" I saw amazing cakes! A lovely helpful lady said they were homemade, and she happened to be the manager! I loved my cake and coffee and I can't wait to go there again 😃

Lovely warm welcome, great service & good food. Visited with a friend I ordered the full breakfast which was delicious (my egg was perfect 👌 ) my friend ordered pancakes with bacon & maple syrup which were also well cooked and delicious. Tea was nice & hot & plenty in teapot for two people, love the vintage style tea cups and saucers, we will definitely come back again.

What an incredible delight afternoon tea at Marmalade on the Square was!! The words "unlimited tea" are like music to my ears so it was an easy choice to select this option. The difficult choice was which cake to include in the event, there are so many absolutely beautiful hand made cakes. You can really tell that somebody cares! We went for the nutella cookie cupcake (who makes cupcakes from cookie dough?.... a genius in my opinion 👏) and a slice of oreo cake, which kind of just tasted a bit like chocolate cake with more vanilla icing on it but hey, that's still a very very tasty cake! Service was very quick and they couldn't stand having people with luke warm tea, bringing fresh pots like clockwork keeping the whole experience top notch, nothing but respect for the attention to detail on all aspects. So what isn't so great.... we chose to sit next to a window and it was sunny, got a bit hot in my jumper. Erm, its really really hard to say what could have been better in honesty. Delightful venue, incredible service, free flowing tea and tasty treats. 😋 10/10 - a must!

Nestled in the heart of Leeds Victorian Quarter, The Ivy Asia is a must-visit destination for locals and visitors. This independent venue offers a unique blend of Asian fusion cuisine, creative cocktails, and stunning decor spread across three floors. With its vibrant atmosphere and a spectacular roof terrace, it's an ideal spot to enjoy music, art, film, and delectable food.
Beautiful, vibrant, opulent premises. Wonderful food. Impeccable table service. We had a really good time. The ambience is relaxed and welcoming. Would recommend asking for a booth when reserving for larger parties. The position of our table for 6 was the only downside, too much foot traffic and close to bathrooms. Would have preferred a nicer table but did not want to fuss. Really lovely and attentive staff. We went for the Ivy Experience Set Menu - just lovely ♡♡♡
Isabel W — Google review
Had my first taste of the Ivy and it was a wonderful experience. I had the Shepherds Pie and at first glance I was surprised at the small portion however it was so flavoursome and filling. It was my birthday and they surprised me with a birthday desert and although I'm trying to be good for my summer holidays it would have been rude to say no. A fantastic culinary experience that I highly recommend.
Tom P — Google review
I was more than pleasantly surprised. The food tasted as good as it looked. Each dish offered a taste explosion, with an extra special nod to the sambal sirloin. Plenty of staff made for a smooth service. If there was one teeny criticism it would be to give me a bowl to enjoy my rice. Thanks for a great evening.

Overall the Mrs loved it and that's what this place is for, a good date every now and then and ofc a pricey one to feed the materialism of the other half. Portion size is cheeky at best, taste was good but not worth the price. Overall it was a nice experience, The staff were fantastic and they do add on a service charge.

Dinner on a Saturday night for 4 people (booked well in advance) and everyone really enjoyed the food (selection of small plates and mains to share), the atmosphere and service. The latter was a little hit & miss but generally good overall. Although we ordered a bottle of white wine and way too much was poured initially and it wasn’t chilled so not ideal but small issue.. Busy place with couples and groups spread out over a large space, but wasn’t overly noisy so easy conversations. Spent about 3hrs in total with starters, mains, desset, a bottle of wine, pkus tip for £280 amongst 4 people.

A fantastic dining experience at The Ivy Asia. Fabulous interior, great dishes and very staff. Our thanks to Cheryl for making our anniversary even more special. Highly recommended!
P D — Google review
Our introduction was very nice, the decor is beautiful & I especially loved the flooring & overall opulence. After that, it all went downhill. The cocktails are pricey, hit & miss in taste, my 1st one was served to me without a straw - how am I supposed to drink it? I even commented on how it was an extra long cocktail... Then came the £48pp menu - no warning that we're expected to share, family style instead of individual apportioning which is what it should be - trying to save on washing up dishes/serving? The food was also hit or miss, mainly vegetarian so cheaper cost than meat. The real shocking thing was the amount of times food was taken away from our tables, without us being asked, EVER, if we were finished. Our server removed an entirely fresh bowl of edamame, and did the same with our leftover curry, rice and pak choi! Really disappointing. Considering we paid £95pp, how dare you take our food away? We were still eating! None of our cutlery was presented as if we were finished. Terrible service in this sense. Also while there, 2 servers crashed into each other & smashed a glass. Though they thought they cleaned everything, an old lady ended up kicking a large piece of broken glass later, while being seated - not sure about the health & safety on that! Could have been disastrous. We were a table of 5, celebrating a birthday & yes the restaurant was full, and we stayed over the silly time limit of 2hrs but again, when spending so much money we should be allowed to stay as long as it takes us - don't overbook the restaurant! And then practically throw us out telling us that people are waiting for our table. What a way to ruin the experience, giving us a £450+ bill, telling us to pay & leave asap, and of course it includes 12.5% forced service charge though service was poor at best. I had to ask 4 times to order my 2nd drink. Disappointing experience, will not be returning. We weren't ever asked if everything was ok with our meal, otherwise I would have said something. Dessert was probably the best tasting course, which was not Asian at all. It's a hot mess of dry ice spectacles for Instagram.
Riva H — Google review
The meat dish in the photo is probably one of the best I’ve ever had — truly, it’s surprisingly delicious! I have no words to describe how amazing the atmosphere is, from the entrance to every little decorative detail. It’s not just a place to eat, it’s an experience. I highly recommend it!

Oulton Hall Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort is a luxurious 18th-century mansion located in the picturesque Yorkshire countryside near Leeds. This historic grade II listed building seamlessly blends Victorian elegance with modern amenities for both business and leisure travelers. The resort features traditional-style rooms, four restaurants offering delectable dining options, a rejuvenating spa, and an impressive 27-hole golf course.
This was our first visit and it was wonderful! We enjoyed a 2 night spa break with dinner on one night and we added afternoon tea. The hotel is beautifully decorated. A great blend of luxury and classic touches in keeping with a 200 year old mansion house. The staff were, warm, friendly and very helpful. All our meals were delicious 😋 our room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The spa was very relaxing and we enjoyed treatments. We would highly recommend staying here.
Anji D — Google review
I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but both my partner and I were really disappointed with our experience at Oulton Hall. It was, unfortunately, one of the poorest examples of customer service I’ve encountered. We had booked this stay as our first night away since having our baby, and it was completely overshadowed by the lack of care and attention from staff. I would not recommend staying here. The reception team, in particular Rhiannon, seemed uninterested in assisting us and displayed unprofessional communication throughout. A manager called “Geraldine” (if that is indeed her name) also showed no interest in resolving our concerns regarding the restaurant, or making any effort to improve our experience. From the outset, it was clear that guest satisfaction and retaining our custom were not priorities. On a positive note, I did have a lovely treatment in the spa — the therapist was really kind and professional. However, my partner did not receive the same level of service. He wasn’t provided with a robe for his treatment and was left to sit in the quiet room in his clothes immediately after a massage, while every other guest wore a robe. It made him feel uncomfortable and completely out of place, which I don’t think is acceptable for a hotel of this standard. The treatment we received after our stay was confirmation that we will not return to Oulton Hall, nor will we be recommending it to anybody. It really takes very little effort to make a customer feel like they have been listened to, and apart from two ladies I briefly spoke with on the phone from accommodation, not one member of staff took us seriously or provided basic customer service. Very poor.

A lovely hotel in a great location. Helpful friendly staff. The food was ok as we were on a group booking but the drinks, even coffees were ridiculously expensive. A golf buggy was £45, a bottle of Coke from the pro shop was £3, two beers £13. Take plenty of money

Great Stay! I stayed here for 4 nights and had an excellent experience. My room was cleaned daily, and the housekeeping did a great job keeping everything spotless. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of options, and the dinner menu was diverse and well-priced. The late-open bar was a perfect spot to unwind after a day of exploring. Overall, the hotel offers great value with friendly service and a relaxing atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Came here for my friend's 70th birthday for afternoon tea, spa and a treatment each on 9 September 2025. My friend had her facial treatment on the ground floor with a complentary glass of prosecco (thank you) and tells me her bed was heated. She said the room didn't feel cold. My facial was upstairs. When I commented the room felt chilly, I was advised the air conditioning needed to be on but an adjustment on the dial was attempted. It didn't make any difference and wasn't asked if it felt any different .I also said that the towel on top of me felt cold and damp upon getting on the bed. I was assured by the therapist they were completely dry when she put them on but she didn't feel them herself and said the air conditioning would make them feel cooler. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the facial but I was really quite uncomfortable due to how cold I felt and felt quite tense. I couldn't relax properly due to the temperature. Disappointing for me but glad my friend had a great experience since it was her birthday. That evening, I started feeling unwell and have had a headache and seem to have caught a cold since. Not feeling great at all. The upside is the hotel is in a lovely setting and the afternoon tea was very nice.

I have wanted to stay at Oulton Hall for some time and I am delighted to say it didn't disappoint!!!! This hotel feels truly grand and special but at the same time has a really relaxed atmosphere. From the moment we arrived every staff member that we came across was exceptionally friendly, helpful and we could not fault the service anywhere. The room was spacious, clean and the bed was incredibly comfortable...the best nights sleep I have had in long time! Dinner was a real delight...despite having a fussy eater in the family everyone found the menu to be a winner and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Breakfast was again enjoyed by all with a well stocked hot and cold buffet with something for everyone. We all love a swim so enjoyed use of the facilities once we arrived and again in the morning before departure. All in all we had a fantastic night and wouldn't hesitate to return.

Nestled just around the corner on Cross Square, Mocca Moocho is a delightful cafe that beckons brunch enthusiasts with its mouthwatering menu. This charming spot boasts an array of offerings, from hearty full English breakfasts to scrumptious hot sandwiches and delectable homemade pastries. The inviting atmosphere features two floors of indoor seating along with a cozy sheltered outdoor area, perfect for enjoying your meal al fresco on sunny days.
Try and sit upstairs if you can. It's decked out with plants and really pretty. This place serves awesome food and drinks, and has a nice bustling vibe, without being too noisy or hectic.

This café is undoubtedly one of the finest we have visited. The scones are freshly baked and accompanied by fresh cream, setting a high standard from the outset. I opted for a classic bacon sandwich, which was excellent — the bread was thickly cut and the bacon generously portioned. Several of the dishes emerging from the kitchen would not have been out of place in a good restaurant, a testament to the quality and presentation. The staff are attentive and convey an atmosphere of genuine warmth and efficiency, clearly running a very well-managed establishment. The premises are immaculate, the pricing is exceptionally reasonable, and the popularity of the café was evident from how busy it was during our visit.

We usually go for lunch on a Saturday and it is often busy, but we can always get a table. Good quality food and drinks in a slightly quirky setting over two floors. The gluten free quiches and desserts are very good, and they have an excellent choice of other tasty food.

Always great food, always great service. As a result it can get busy, but there's plenty of room upstairs too. Has a pleasant outside area that catches the sun nicely (when it decides to make an appearance - a rarity in Wakefield unfortunately). Thankfully it also has a lovely new awning to help keep the rain at bay.

I have recently moved to Wakefield & ventured into the town centre and came across this little gem! Ordered a hot chocolate and cappuccino with two little cinnamon roll bites - absolutely delightful! The staff couldn’t have been nicer & whilst you pay at the till they were more than happy to bring the drinks over. We sat outside & I absolutely love the fact there are blankets on the chairs for customers to use. Well worth a visit & I will definitely be back for a more substantial meal!

Really nice service. Hot coffee and a lovely scone. The bread was very thick Vs the ham which was the only thing which wasn't great. Would return

Friendly staff and tasty food. I've been in a few times for breakfast. You can get a fry up for less than a tenner and it tastes great. It's family friendly as well with high chairs and space to manoeuvre a pushchair.

Cha Lounge is a charming and ethical cafe and bar located in central Leeds, offering a relaxed atmosphere and a rustic setting. It is popular among families for its excellent Little Ones menu featuring various breakfast options at affordable prices. The cafe's zero-waste approach adds to its warm and welcoming vibe, with a focus on serving seriously good food and drinks. The menu includes sumac-roasted tomatoes that can be topped with eggs or bacon, as well as vegetarian options.
What a great place to eat! It’s warm, it’s cosy and the food is amazing! Our lunch of sandwiches was very tasty and the portions very generous. Good gf and vegetarian options on the very comprehensive menu. Close by there was a large party of people of all ages having the most sumptuous of meals with so many different cakes, pastries and sandwiches-a veritable feast! A nice touch was the arrival of my pot of tea together with an egg timer set to run out as the perfect brew point was reached. Lots of seating options including settees. I as Leo liked the idea of being able to order and pick up groceries. This is definitely somewhere that I will visit again; highly recommended!

A Pleasant and Relaxing Spot Environment The café has a warm and inviting atmosphere, with tasteful decoration and a charming variety of chairs and tables that give it character. Large windows allow in plenty of natural light, and its location on a quiet street adds to the relaxed setting. Food and Drink There’s a wide range of food and coffee options available, offering the variety you’d expect from a good café. Vegetarian and vegan options are also available, which is a welcome touch. The prices for coffee are particularly reasonable, making it great value. Service The staff were kind and welcoming, striking a good balance between attentiveness and giving space. Their friendly manner made me feel at ease and added to the overall enjoyable experience. Overall A lovely place for a peaceful break or a catch-up with friends. I’d be happy to visit again.

Afternoon tea, normal finger sandwiches, sausage roll, lovely scones, v sweet cakes. Of all the afternoon teas we've been to, this has the least food for 2. V posh tea with timer to brew for perfect cuppa. Love the chilled rustic decor, comfy sofas. Can't fault service. Went at quiet time of the week. Would go again.

Stopped in here on a sunny Saturday and the atmosphere was nice and chill with the full length window open. Staff are super friendly and really helpful. We ordered the samosas but as we got there close to closing, we were told the last ones left were not perfect and offered us them smashed and mixed with the sauces and veg as a chaat, it was amazing! The eggs and salmon tasted super fresh and the daal was delicious. Loved the fact that on the menu needs I told you about all the ingredients came from. And of course we could not leave out the amazing chocolate flapjack 🤤🤤 and great drinks. Will certainly be returning and recommending.

If ever there is a friendly neighbourhood cafe where everyone knows your name and treats you like a rockstar, Cha Lounge is it. The cafe has eclectic and warm décor that makes you feel like you've transported into another world. The menu has such a nice variety, and they cater to a variety of dietary needs. You just need to tell them and they will personalise any dish for you. They also have an impressive amount of loose leaf chas to try, so there's every reason to keep going back for more. During lockdown, Cha Lounge came through in supporting the local community by organising fresh veg boxes and groceries for those who wanted to buy local or were sceptical of going to supermarkets. Later, they expanded to afternoon and cream tea sets that were perfect for date night or picnics. Once I bought a veg box from them, I couldn't go back to a box chain supermarket anymore. Dining-wise, I cannot recommend their brunch highly enough. You can taste that their ingredients are high quality and fresh. My niblings especially love Gemma's pancakes. We have also gone to a few of their curry nights which we thought was very delicious. If you're ever in Dock Street, do pop in and say hi, even if all you're getting is a takeaway cha.

I love a good quality breakfast and I’m so happy to have found this place. It’s now my goto place for breakfast when I’m in Leeds. Every item was cooked to perfection, those tomatoes were the most flavoursome tomatoes I’ve ever tasted. The scrambled egg was seasoned just right. The owner Mandeep so super friendly and welcoming. It’s clearly run by a team who are passionate about making good food and providing a nice place to eat it in. I would highly recommend this place to anyone stopping in Leeds. I will return again 100% Thanks again for a great breakfast.

The Cha Lounge is a new establishment based on healthy eating and ethical food sourcing. It is small, rustic and relaxing. There are hot and cold beverages, freshly prepared with no or minimal processing of ingredients. There are both hot and cold foods and plenty of vegetarian options. Many of the options are snack or street type foods especially Indian. The premises are very clean as are the washroom facilities. A great place to just drop in, enjoy a light meal and or a drink.

Nice place. Very friendly stuff. Good choice of food with many choices for vegan people. Soup of the day different everyday. The breakfast was not extraordinarily good, but it did its job. I like the way they manage the place, although their hours are difficult to follow. Good Wi-Fi connection and relaxed mood. I'll probably come back from time to time.

WOW!! I booked my table and advised one of the places was for a nearly 2 year old! Well when I arrived my daughter was tired, but also somewhere new so wanted to walk around! The staff were absolutely amazing!! They gave my daughter fun things to do to keep her distracted! I wasn’t expecting anything, but they went above and beyond with the things they did/provided whilst I ate their amazing jacket potato (which I have been wanting for AGES). Even when my daughter decided to cause a little chaos, the staff were so lovely and it made a stressed mum feel very relaxed and grateful! I have been previously (had a little baby shower/afternoon tea), we’ve had their “special” hot chocolates on Halloween and Christmas and they do not disappoint 😍 My mum basically bought half of their items they sell in store too! I must admit they are lovely and great prices. I can’t wait to go back and try more cake!

Was bought an afternoon tea for 2 voucher for Christmas. Used it today and WOW! What a hidden gem! The decor gave me childhood vibes, was so quaint! The staff were lovely and were always on standby for anything. As you can see the amount of food per person was insane and it was all delicious! Took some home in a tray as couldn't possibly finish it all! I will return here again and again! Thank you.

The lattes are amazing!! Seriously, best coffee I've had anywhere in Pudsey. Atmosphere seems good for regular customers, little lonely if alone and unknown but as a regular always made to feel welcome. Cute decor. Lunch was okay, nothing amazing, though sandwiches looked good. Breakfast was reasonable.
Warboss D — Google review
Been to booths multiple times, always been good. However I have been recently and I feel like some of the customer service wasn’t very good. Firstly, they didn’t really smile which made me feel less welcome. They took our order, then 30-40 mins later told me there was no ham for my sandwich without an apology and that felt wrong too. I felt like they were unhappy to be working. I absolutely love the food and drinks at booths so will come back but this visit was just not like it used to be. Bar that everything else was lovely. Well enjoyed.

This place is lovely, the staff are welcoming and friendly, we went for afternoon tea for 3 of us and the presentation was amazing spoilt for choice with the little cake selection definitely make sure you're hungry. Was amazing value for money too I would highly recommend you try this place you wouldn't be disappointed.

Writing this on behalf of my mum who isn’t very good with technology- my mum visited today for the first time, as she has recently had surgery and wanted to get out. The young girl working was very helpful and made time to talk to my mum and ask about her day despite being busy, as the other lady was working the gift shop. The youngster chatting to my mum made her day as she can often feel lonely, she also made a beautiful latte . My mum wishes for this young lady to get the credit she deserves, although she didn’t catch her name but says she was tall with brunette hair. My mum says she will definitely be back, next time with all her friends.

Just had lunch here and talk about value for money. 2 meals + 2 drinks for less than £20 & my ham n cheese salad was very tasty and a plate full. Wife had sarnies + side salad. Can't rate this place highly enough. If you're in Pudsey and want a cafe, this is the place to go.

Great coffee, cake and savouries. All made on the premises and good quality and value. Does nice soup which is especially welcome on a winter's day. Staff very welcoming and friendly and helpful. This is a great independent coffee shop & deli. Nice coffee, fantastic home made cakes and friendly staff. Well worth your support when you are in Wakefield
Steve S — Google review
One visit may not be enough for an accurate review, but it is more than enough for a vague one. Part cheese display cabinet, part café, I can't describe Deli Central as anything more than mediocre, unfortunately. Price is important to me and, while it means your fellow diners are reduced to the quiet, old lady types who can afford it (they also probably come to the knitting group) I still felt I was paying over the odds. I prefer my panino to be slightly hotter, and squashed flatter. I prefer the vegetables in my side salad to be sliced into bite sized pieces, not diced enough for a salsa. And crisps? On the other hand, the americano was surprisingly smooth, and the loose rose petal tea from Taylors is recommended. The furniture could do with some cushions.

Fairly priced, good quality items (the cakes appeared to be Costco ones when we visited but that's not a negative, they're great) and good service. We managed to pay twice (once when my wife ordered and a second time when I went in to get another item) but this was rectified quickly once they were made aware. Limited seating available outside for the current situation but worth waiting for if you're in that area and want a quick refueling stop.

A nice cafe, nothing amazing, but an easy place to stop. I had a BLT sandwich, the bacon was good quality and it was around £4.50 with a small side of crisps. I also had a flat white, this was more like a latte, but they didn’t completely burn the milk like most places do so that was nice. There was lots of staff in on a Saturday but they all looked rushed of their feet, but at least they weren’t understaffed. Great to see they provide high chairs as not everywhere does. Generally good little cafe.
M T — Google review
My first visit this week. First impressions were very good. Lovely and bright inside and it was quite busy even on a week day. I ordered granary toast and a flat white. The two thick slices of toast came with a generous amount of butter and marmalade. The huge cup of coffee (too much for me) was more like a latte than a flat white though but overall it had a nice relaxed feeling and I will definately go again.

Myself and my family friends came on Monday for the afternoon tea and let me say it was lovely, it was very filling I had to take a box home with me 🍰 I would 100% come back I just wish there was an option of plain scones but the lady happily swapped it for a piece of Victoria sponge. Nothing was too much hassle and it was very nice thank you for a lovely first experience I will definitely return.

This place has gone down hill since the last time I visited last year. My plan was to go to Idle bakery but it was very busy no seats. Now I understand why. I ordered from the special board ‘poached eggs with Advocado’ It was one of the worse breakfasts I’ve had- The toast was soggy and white, the eggs were hard cold and microwaved, the Advocado was thinly scraped like butter across 2 slices of white bread. I wanted to leave it but felt uncomfortable so I quickly ate it and left. The atmosphere was awful very tense and the staff weren’t friendly. The blond older women in the back seemed very unfriendly. I’ll never go again. The Cafe round the corner Idle bakery is much better- with fresh sourdough bread- Free range eggs and the staff are lovely. Feel like I’ve wasted my money £10 for a cuppa and the not very nice breakfast. I understand things have gone up in money but it’s the same for everyone. Very disappointed.

This hotel was built by the Midland Railway Company as a Northern Showcase during the height of the Victorian Railways. It's a beautiful building with hundreds of original features still in place. Yes it is showing signs of it's age but aren't we all? In my opinion this adds to the character. Such a refreshing change from the generic modern box hotels. Excellent position Friendly Staff. One night in and so far so good. Easy check in and staff polite. Very grand, old, hotel which explains occasional rumble and things being moved in the bowels of the hotel. Ab A Memorable Graduation Celebration! Our recent meal to celebrate my daughter's graduation was truly delightful. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptionally attentive, with staff going above and beyond to ensure our comfort. While there was a slight delay with the food, our server was incredibly apologetic and kept us informed, which we truly appreciated. More importantly, the food itself was exceptionally good – every dish was prepared to perfection and incredibly flavorful, making any wait completely worthwhile. I want to give a special shout-out to Ceric and Sean (hope I got the names right!) for their outstanding service. They were incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely thoughtful; anticipating what we needed before we even had to ask. Their warm and professional approach made our dining experience even more enjoyable. Thank you both for going above and beyond!

Excellent meal! The supreme set menu was a delight – amazing presentation and packed with flavor. The black pepper fillet steak was a highlight, cooked perfectly and delicious. Service was great; friendly and attentive staff gave us ample time between courses, so we never felt rushed. Special mention to Tiffany for being so friendly and helping with our chopsticks skills. Highly recommend.

Totally enjoyable first visit. Great decor, service, food & drinks at a reasonable restaurant rate. Sofia advised us superbly on food choices & was polite and efficient throughout our meal. Would highly recommend.

Me and my friend had dinner here without booking, walk-in was really easy and fast, we had table ready and the staff were super friendly and helpful in introducing the food and the drinks menu. Oliver was an amazing host for our dinner, we were introduced so much with the food and how much the chefs put effort into the dish. Everything was amazing, especially the mushroom and the chicken feet cold dish. 100/100

I recently dined at Blue Pavilion and was thoroughly impressed! The food was absolutely delicious — each dish was beautifully presented and full of flavour, clearly made with high-quality ingredients. The ambience of the restaurant is elegant and calming, making it perfect for a special evening out. The staff were warm, professional, and attentive throughout our visit. Even though we experienced a slight delay in service due to an unexpected number of walk-in guests that evening, the team handled it with grace and kept us informed, which we really appreciated. It’s clear that Blue Pavilion takes pride in offering both exceptional food and genuine hospitality. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a premium dining experience in Leeds. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

Lovely food, extremely well presented and tasty. Service was excellent and very attentive. The classic set menu starters were very very nice. Was nice to look out of the windows and watch the world go by as they were very clean.

When we were living in leeds, we always love going to their Japanese restaurant, Blue Sakura. We were excited as our first time going to Blue Pavilion and we’ll definitely be returning customers! They served authentic Chinese dishes of great quality, full of flavor—every dish we had was worth every penny. Impeccable service, kudos to the team!

The place was busy on arrival, (popular) but we were seated straight away. Inside was cosy and clean. Service was fairly quick on ordering to receiving drinks and then our food. We ordered the toasted muffin bacon sausage and poached egg with bearnaise sauce. (See photos) It was spot on. Sausages were incredible, bacon was well done, Egg was cooked to perfection, and I was very impressed. We even got a scone with clotted cream and jam, which was also incredible. It is slightly pricier than other places we've been to, but you get what you pay for, even the drinks were decent sizes. If you're walking around NewMillerdam, I'd highly recommend having a pit stop here. 🤌

First visit to this cafe and had been wanting to go for a while, had reserved a table. Unfortunately the place was very cold, our food took over an hour to come and no apology regarding the wait and it was not busy around us. The food was lukewarm and quickly became cold because of the temperature of the cafe. The food it self was presented well and was very nice! Just a shame about the wait, atmosphere and being sat shivering. Sadly will not be returning.

Very rude staff! After having a lovely walk around the dam with friends. To be told unless we had a booking we could not buy a cup of tea. Wouldn’t even make eye contact to say this in a polite way.

This was exactly what we needed today. A dog friendly space with home cooked tasty food, served quickly and with a smile. The wind outside was howling and it was like a little sanctuary. Well placed cakes tempted us to stay for a bit longer too - best decision ever. The scones came out warm and we will be back for afternoon tea in the New Year!

I need to start this saying that the staff are very friendly and welcoming when we went in. Unfortunately the service is painfully slow and the food was really unpleasant. Had fish and chips, no flavour, the fish was leaking water and the chips were skinny fries that were raw... On top of cold mashed up garden peas. I would have complained but after we eventually recieved our food no one came to check the food was ok so we just payed at the bar and left. Didn't want to ask for something else because would have taken too long. It's such a shame as it used to be so lovely.

McCallan's Coffee And Deli shop is a charming spot that offers a variety of delectable options. From hot and cold sandwiches, homemade soups, chili, baguettes, Paninis to weekly and seasonal specials as well as an array of cakes and a full breakfast menu. The cafe also provides the opportunity to create your own bespoke afternoon tea by mixing and matching items from different teas. Customers have praised the outstanding service and friendly staff.
I recently had the pleasure of our Walk This Weigh Wellness group's Christmas party here and I cannot recommend this venue highly enough! From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that our experience was seamless and enjoyable. The food was simply outstanding! Very reasonable priced and was thoughtfully prepared and presented, catering perfectly to our diverse group’s tastes. It truly lifted our celebration and left everyone raving about it. The ambiance of the coffee shop provided the perfect backdrop for our gathering. With space for all 20 of us, it felt both cozy and accommodating. The warm atmosphere made our event feel special and intimate. Overall, McCallans exceeded our expectations in every way. If you’re looking for outside catering or a fantastic place to host an event, maybe just simply enjoy a great cup of coffee, look no further. We can’t wait to return! 👍

Great food at a reasonable price. The location is convenient as it's on the main road. Busy street but you can usually find a spot to slot into without too much trouble. Always nice and clean with a few tables and chairs inside. Friendly staff and a very good variety of food. The egg mayo with crispy bacon and salad sandwich is particularly good. Highly recommend this excellent little sandwich shop.

Check you receive all dairy free when ordered. Recent excellent buffet BUT dairy free option did not have dairy free crisps and partly eaten before realised, could have been a very serious reaction. Not what is expected when ordering an individual allergy free serving. You shouldn't need to BUT ALWAYS CHECK!!

We stayed for a morning spa break with lunch and had an amazing time. The facilities were great, the staff were friendly, the food was amazing and the facility was extremely well kept and clean. Easily accessible from the motorway and was such good value for money. Complimentary coffees included with lunch and spa which was a bonus. It's probably 10 years since I last visited Thorpe Park Hotel, and I have to say I was very impressed with my stay. From an initial issue with me needing to delay my visit by a couple of weeks, the hotel handled this to my great delight which I'm very thankful for. All the staff were friendly and efficient, from check-in, pool, breakfast, meeting rooms and check out, I couldn't fault a thing. The room was excellent, and great to work in, the pool and sauna were clean, breakfast excellent. The whole hotel was very well looked after.

Booked a one night package for£169 for bed breakfast and evening dinner with a £30 allowance each. My husband had soup which was very nice and a good portion. I had pate which was an extremely very small portion on a large plate which made it look worse. It was nice but not worth the £9 price. We both chose steak and thwaites ale pie for our main course. It was presented nicely. The pastry was really nice but we were both disappointed with the filling, I had 2 pieces of meat in my pie. It wasn't just meat and ale, it seemed to me it was bulked up with mashed potato. We were disappointed with the meal. The hotel and staff are very nice and the outside seating area is very nice. We enjoyed our stay but the meal was a let down.

Stayed for 2 days and it was lovely very relaxing. The spa facilities were perfect to unwind and the price for the dine and relax package was great value as you had a evening meal and breakfast included. We had food both nights and the server Michael was great really attentive and couldn't do enough for you ... We ate twice here and the first night was great.. second night the steak pie was a bit tough and wasn't the easiest to eat . Other than that we had a great stay .

The whole process from the original booking to the actual conference was smooth and efficient.

A Warm Welcome and Great Breakfast – Just a Few Tweaks Needed I received a lovely welcome on arrival with plenty of information (perhaps a little too rapid-fire!). I asked for a recommendation for a local Indian restaurant as I fancied a walk, but unfortunately the team couldn’t point me in the right direction at the time. Later, I shared my experience at a great spot I found nearby (Spice Zone), and they were genuinely pleased to hear about it. The room was spacious and well furnished – clean and comfortable, though nothing particularly standout. A little outdated I thought. The shower pressure could’ve been a bit stronger. Breakfast was the highlight – really well done – and all the staff I met were fantastic. Warm, professional, and a credit to the hotel.

We’ve just got married here this weekend, from start to finish the staff were fantastic, even with a few bumps in the road they went above and beyond especially auntie Jackie, Leanne and Chloe! They made sure everything went so smoothly and we owe our day to them, they made it so perfect and stress free! The rooms were lovely, especially the bridal suite, the beds were so comfortable, best I’ve slept in months!! The food throughout the hotel and on the wedding day was absolutely 10/10 so delicious! Again, thankyou for the most amazing weekend, The new Mr & Mrs Roberts!

A lovely hotel, much better in person than their online photos. Friendly staff at check-in and check-out. Beautiful reception, and breakfast dining area. Ideally situated for the event I was attending. Granted it was the hottest weekend in the UK and air conditioning isn't the norm in most places in the North, but the desk fan was very welcomed so thank you for providing this. We will definitely visit again when we're next in Bradford.
Tamara S — Google review
I stayed at Cedar Court Hotel last month as I needed somewhere close to a wedding venue early the next morning. The price was competitive and reviews seemed decent, so I decided to stay here. My stay wasn’t terrible, but it also wasn’t great. I arrived late and had to use the self check-in system which was okay, just a bit slow after a long journey. When I got to my room, my key card didn’t work, and it was difficult to find someone at reception to help, which was frustrating when all I wanted was to get to bed. The biggest issue was the room. It had a strong lingering smell of smoke/cigarettes and felt quite musty, which made it uncomfortable to sleep. The bedding also felt a bit itchy. The room was very outdated and quite basic overall. The bathroom felt like it hadn’t had much care or attention for a while either. The walls are paper thin, and you can hear people walking down the corridor and the rooms at either side. On a positive note, the car park is large with plenty of space and only around £4 for 24 hours which is reasonable. I didn’t get to use any facilities as I only needed a place to sleep. Overall, the hotel did the job, but I don’t think I’d stay again unless the rooms are refreshed and cleanliness improved.
Hammid A — Google review
A comfortable hotel, the rooms are a reasonable size but basic. You get a kettle, tea and coffee and a clothes hanging space but nowhere else to put clothes apart from one very high shelf. The hot water was never more then warm and the washbasin in my room was cracked. Breakfast was good. The location is "middle of nowhere"and you need a car, you have to pay extra for the car park!

Thankyou for a fantastic stay at your Bradford hotel. I was awarded VIP of the day, which meant the world to me, especially as I had couple extra treats waiting for me to go with a wonderful coffee, made in my own drinks machine. The room was spacious with a very comfy bed and the power shower was fantastic- the complimentary toiletries were a lovely touch & even though I have very sensitive skin, I could still use them. The breakfast was really tasty with good produce and a great selection. The staff were very friendly and helpful and nothing was a bother for them. A really well run hotel that I will definitely recommend to all. Very clean and peaceful surroundings. Thankyou again
Rebecca B — Google review
The hotel overall was nice and clean. Plenty of parking available at site. The breakfast options can be improved and no idea why was there a condom in the room, which I have never seen in the past after staying in hundreds of hotels across GB. Either left by someone and cleaning staff did not bother to dispose it or they offer free condoms to guests. Toiletries were not refreshed for the 2nd day of stay. Not a very nice gesture you give to your customer. Thanks

Great little farm and barn for toddlers. It is now £3 each or £10 for a family of 4. Worth the money. Super friendly staff and you can get close and friendly with the animals. Small play area with a sandpit and some peddle tractors within the farm. Lots of grass to enjoy a picnic when the sunshine arrives :)

I happened to come across this place, after some rerouting due to some dreadful motorway traffic. Taking a more scenic route over the moors, my nephew and I called in on a spur of the moment ice cream break. We happened to spot that it had a farm shop, with a whole host of locally sourced goods from sausage rolls to flavoured oils. The best surprise was finding that it had its own little farm zoo at the back, behind the restaurant. We arrived shortly before 5pm and as it closed at 5 and the smaller animals had been put away for the evening, they let us in for free. (I did offer a donation). We got some lovely photos of the pigs and cows. On the way out, we also picked up a few gifts for my sister-in-law, as the nephew was returning home after 4 days with his cousins. Some beautiful chocolate cake, a cow themed short biscuit and some lovely rocky road style nibbles. Also, I spotted what must be the largest vanilla slices I've ever seen in my life!! We picked up a couple of ice creams before our journey back and left with a warm glow.

Stunning food, and a huge selection of food to take home. I had the best Manchester tart I have ever had in my life. There’s a butchers, bakery section, hot food to take away, local ales and fine wines. Dining in is a fabulous experience as well. We had the ploughman’s and the fish tacos and were not disappointed. It was a roasting hot August weekend so we sat outside and enjoyed seeing all the other groups of people enjoying Sunday roasts (MASSIVE Yorkshires) and very generous afternoon teas. There was also a pizza oven and a big playground for kids. A great way to spend an afternoon. Also, more Longley farm yogurt, cream and cottage cheese than you can shake a stick at.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We recently had afternoon tea at Blacker Hall’s restaurant for a group of 11 (though one person couldn’t make it in the end), and the whole experience was fantastic. The staff were incredibly understanding about the change in numbers, which we really appreciated. Ahead of time, I called to ask if we could have our afternoon tea earlier than their usual 1:30pm start, as we had to be somewhere later – and they kindly agreed to serve it at 12 instead. We waited around 30 minutes, which was no issue, and ordered some iced coffees while we waited. To our surprise, these were included in the cost of the afternoon tea – such a thoughtful touch! We were given access to the upstairs area, which is closed off from the main space – ideal so we didn’t disturb other guests. They also let us decorate it how we liked, which made it feel extra special for the occasion. A big thank you to Mel, the manager, who was absolutely amazing – friendly, courteous, and made everything run so smoothly. We felt really well looked after and wouldn’t hesitate to return. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a warm, welcoming place with great food and even better service!

A great find . Delicious sunday lunch . Very generous portion. Liked the family style sharing vegetables . Great service. Extremely well stocked farm shop with a beautiful array of produce . Loved the fresh orange juice self service machine where you can bottle your own takeaway juice and also different flavoured takeaway milk machine too. Perfect place for all ages. The outdoor area serving pizza and takeaway foods has a great atmosphere. There is a children's farm for " Little Farmers " Only thing I would say as a downside , no vegan ice-cream and the portion served in the ice-cream hut was very a small scoop and she didn't wear gloves.

Really fancied a fantastic pork pie and sausage roll for lunch for me and my husband and thought here would be far better than the supermarket option. I liked the sausage roll but my husband found it very average. I didn't enjoy the pork pie either as the meat was really salty rather than tasty, the pastry was good tho. On visiting the shop they had a few tasting opportunities and the cooked sausages were delicious

I booked afternoon tea for two for my friends birthday and it did not disappoint. We had four little sandwiches each with various fillings. Four sweet treats and a scone with jam and cream plus unlimited tea and coffee. Lovely food and friendly hard working staff. We had a wander around the farm shop and the animals. For a small fee you can feed the animals. It’s changed a lot since my last visit and definitely worth a visit with children.

Lovely hotel located close to Bradford Live venue which was the reason for our visit. Rooms comfortable and good size. Breakfast buffet was well stocked and piping hot. Unfortunately, lift was put if service so the stairs to our room were a bit of a challenge for us.

This used to be a wonderful Hotel. Old but classy Grade 2 listed building. It has so much potential. Sadly they have been through three managers in 6 months. Ishaan at the front desk is really efficient, though many of the old staff are gone. It shows. The lift has not been working for many months. The room prices are great value, but TVs are hit and miss, and WiFi did not connect in my room. The rooms do have baths and the water is powerful, which is nice. It does not have mini fridges or microwaves in the rooms. But they do provide kettle and tea/coffee. The one good thing is that the staff are friendly so if you need something just ask. Also tip in Cash directly to staff if leaving a tip! Parking has doubled in price and is now £10 first come first served.

Stayed 3 nights in July. Great location and great value through Booking.com (£93 total), though our final night booked direct was a bit pricier at £95. Breakfast was excellent—£12pp and a really good hot and continental spread. The lift was out of order the entire stay, which made accessing upper floors difficult, especially when I wasn’t feeling well. This wasn’t mentioned when we booked. Room was tidy but showing signs of wear. Only cleanliness issue was a cobweb on the light fitting. TV was difficult to use, but we had our own devices. Rooms were quite warm and windows barely open—bring a fan if you're heat-sensitive! Dinner felt overpriced for what we got, and room service had confusing availability. Staff said “drinks only” despite the guest info stating sandwiches were available. Driving tip: Ignore the postcode they provide for parking—ours took us on a Bradford city centre tour and likely into a few bus lanes. Just use the hotel postcode and drive past the hotel to access the car park. Staff were fantastic—helpful, friendly, and a real credit to the place. Would stay again, but only if the lift is working or we get a ground-floor room.

Highly Disappointing Stay – A Catalogue of Issues! My stay at The Great Victoria Hotel in Bradford was an absolutely horrible experience marked by one major problem after another. I would not recommend this hotel based on my visit. Firstly, the lift was not working, which, after checking similar reviews, seems to be a long-standing complaint. This forced me to use the stairs repeatedly, which was made worse by the fact that I had to change rooms "three" times during my short stay due to ongoing maintenance failures. My first room had serious drainage issues in both the sink and the shower tub. When I complained, the initial front desk gentleman was both rude and unhelpful, claiming "nothing could be done until morning" and insisting no other rooms were available. I had to strongly pressure him to find me a solution, which was an unacceptable way to start the stay. I was finally moved to a second room, only to find the toilet flush would not stop running. I had to go down the stairs (again, due to the non-working lift) to the front desk again. Thankfully, the staff had changed, and the new team were much more helpful and instantly offered a third room. While the rooms themselves were 'nice,' I wouldn't describe them as "really clean". Overall, despite the later staff being helpful (unlike that first gentleman), the sheer number of operational issues and the initial rude service made this a truly horrible and exhausting experience. Not good enough for the price or reputation.
Danish M — Google review
Absolutely horrible experience. Dont bother bookinghere, nunber 1, which hotel charges a £50 deposit and then wants to refund u 15-20 days later? Secondly, beds are horrible... you can feel the springs Thirdly... my room was freezing. Heating not working and the phone in your room also doesnt. When i checked out they said they had given the 2 fan heaters out also. This is actually a beautiful old hotel, im a bradford lad and its an absolute disgrace how this place is managed.
Rashad A — Google review
Where do I begin?! Stayed in July for 2 nights with my three children. Quoted a reasonable price prior to booking, requested a confirmation email which never arrived. Re-confirmed the price at check in which was accepted. Lifts out of order, was given 2 rooms on the 4th floor (luggage and tired kids not helpful!) The first night was very disruptive as the room opposite was playing loud music and arguing amongst themselves past 01.00am resulting in them setting the fire alarm off! Following this the same room guests knocked on my son's door offering/asking for drugs! Reception staff not interested, acting like this was the norm. Rooms themselves were not 4 star quality but passable. Drainage issues in bathroom-shower flooded each time was used. Fast forward to checkout, was charged almost double the amount of agreed price for the rooms but as I didn't have in writing was not valid! I refused to pay the extra amount which the staff took from my credit card after leaving the hotel. My credit card company have only just refunded me that amount after 10 weeks!! I had been calling the hotel and customer services this whole time to get no response from anyone. Apparently the hotel had not had a manager there for weeks! I would not recommend this hotel to anyone based on the multiple issues within the basic running of it and the fact (from also reading other reviews) the amount of money taken from customers, which clearly isn't being spent back on the hotel for improvements!
Sims — Google review
The building is really quite impressive and well located in the city. However, despite very nice staff it is clear that it has been neglected over the years with the only guest lift out of order (making going up to the third floor with luggage and Olympic sport) and poorly ventilated rooms due to old sash windows that have been sealed shut or have security tags that make them impossible to prop open. The website advertised parking at £5 per night but this is charged at double that when you get to reception. The room service menu also advertised a full range of dishes but has been reduced to frozen oven pizzas from the supermarket but charged for a restaurant. Overall I wouldn't be in a hurry to return.
Michelle O — Google review
The stay was very disappointing, especially for a 4-star hotel that prides themself on a luxurious experience. The reasons are listed below - 1. Upon check-in, the room we were initially given had a dirty bathroom, with hair, dirty water and stains. The room was also quite cold and had cobwebs. 2. There was no telephone in the room, so I had to physically meet the staff to request for a room change with all our luggage outside. The reception staff member inspected the room and also agreed the change was warranted. 3. I was then given a second room which had unmade beds, empty alcohol bottles, full bins and a dirty toilet. The manager was also there at the time. She then proceeded to clean the rooms herself for the next 30 minutes while we sat outside. By the time it was all sorted, it was past 8pm. 4. The room telephone was not working, the television remote and the hairdryer were also temperamental. The lift was not working either which meant carrying luggage across various floors. 5. The staff were unprofessional. The manager was clearly stressed and overstretched, hitting her head on the wall and also cussing quietly in the room. The receptionist on the second day didn't seem to know how the payment for the parking worked. The housekeeping were also quite loud in the morning, disturbing our sleep and kept knocking on our door. 6. The bathroom had no ventilation or extractor fans and with every wash there was unbearable humidity. Overall the experience was disappointing and disheartening and we left Bradford feeling physically exhausted and poorly rested during our stay.

Gastropub
Pub
Nestled in the charming village on the outskirts of Bingley, The Golden Fleece Inn is a delightful fusion of a traditional British pub and an upscale dining experience. With its inviting atmosphere, this cozy establishment serves upmarket comfort food alongside a fantastic selection of traditional ales, high-quality ciders, and world wines. The decor features classic dark wood furnishings and brass-handled pumps that create an authentic pub vibe.
I have driven past this pub so many times but never been in. Me and my sister were taking the mother to Readmans (next door). We parked up, my sister suggested we pop into the pub for a drink before Readmans. So, in we pop. As we had parked at the back of the building, you don’t get the best impression of the pub. I’m not sure what I was expecting, but as soon as we stepped inside, I was impressed. All thoughts of having lunch anywhere else were immediately expelled. The pub had a busy dining area but we chose a quieter spot. This is an absolutely fantastic pub, I will definitely be making more stops here in future. Great menu, food and very friendly service. The food is top notch! One tiny observation is my crumble to apple ratio is the complete opposite of the chefs. I like a lot of crumble and custard when I order apple crumble. Having said that all of the ingredients in our 3 meals were good quality and generous. I want to return for Sunday lunch and the pub quiz.
L S — Google review
Absolutely delicious Sunday roast, the beef was exactly as tender and pink as it promised to be. Portion wise, I'd say they definitely concentrated on quality over quantity, which I got the impression it would be. I paid for extra pimped up Cauliflower Cheese (with leeks and broccoli) and stuffing, which cost an extra £12 or so in total. Seems to be a running theme with decent food places, because it's the extras where they make their money. Fair enough. And they were worth the extra money. Pushed the price of each roast to nearly £30 each, so not for the fainthearted, but I'd say it was worth every penny for the enjoyment of the dishes. The only negative for me was the vegetables on offer - one thinly sliced half carrot and half parsnip each, and a generous dollop of cabbage, nothing else. This is what made it a 4* meal and not a 5. Paired with a few small roast potatoes I thought it could have done with a couple of extra elements on the plate. The waitress did offer us extra gravy so bonus points for that. The building was charming and cosy, but it was a bit cold sat next to the window, with no radiator running. We soon moved to the cosy fire for a drink after the meal. All in all I'd definitely recommend and return

Attended last Saturday for my Birthday Brunch with the Girls. Dave was very attentive and friendly as always! Lots of quality food choices and it's nice to be offered a great selection of Tapas rather than 'Eggs Benedict'! Great selection of drinks choices as they're normally very limited but not this one, there was something for everyone. It was also lovely to have live music on, the only thing I would say is it just needs turning down a touch if that is even possible. Overall fabulous and cannot wait to come back!

We found this place towards the end of last year and thank goodness we did! It’s now our favourite local pub. The pub itself has a lovely atmosphere. The decor is cosy and welcoming. The team who work there are always friendly and the service is top notch. Now, the food. The foooood! We’ve never had a bad meal here. Finally, a pub who make a genuinely delicious roast! And my husband loves the flat iron steaks. The quality of their ingredients is amazing and you can tell they put a lot of care into serving up the best quality food possible. Always enjoy our visits and we have since brought our families for a couple of special occasions now and everyone has been impressed. Thank you to the team at Golden Fleece ❤️ already looking forward to our next visit x

As always, a friendly welcome. Great food, duck parfait, delicious beetroot and goats cheese tart, ox cheek pie and tender turkey. Good choice of real ale, nice clientele. What more could you ask for?

Service and atmosphere is always good here. Recently, my friends and I went for the bottomless brunch. This is the second time we have been to the golden fleece for a BB. Service was great, food was tasty and plentiful and the added bonus of live music at the time of the brunch. We were never without a drink. I would highly recommend.

Great to have the opportunity to return to The Golden Fleece after moving away from the area….we were not disappointed. The food was amazing, between us we had Lamb Shank, Sausage & Mash & Parmesan Chicken. All the dishes were exceptionally high quality, really enjoyable. Service was attentive & friendly. The restaurant & bar area were buzzing, a lovely atmosphere for a Friday evening. Really well done to Mike, Dave & all the team. Whoever is in the kitchen is doing a fabulous job. We were happy to see one of our old favourite pubs thriving ♥️

Cafe
Eden's Tearoom & Patisserie is a charming tea room with first-class customer service and delicious food. The owners are humble and accommodating, adding to the wonderful experience. The afternoon tea, meat lasagne, and caramelized banana and chocolate toastie are of high standard and absolutely delicious. It's a great place for a lovely end to a walk around Lister Park. The atmosphere is great, the staff is friendly, and the coffee is highly recommended.
Amazing brunch spot in Bradford. I was surprised at how wonderful this restaurant was. Lovely atmosphere, well decorated, food was presented nicely. The staff were welcoming and the service was efficient. Food itself was delicious with good portion sizes and cost. Parking was easy too. Overall a fantastic experience. I highly recommend
BLIBIB B — Google review
We visited around 5:40 pm, and found parking straightforward and free once our registration was logged at the restaurant's system, which was convenient. Upon entering, we were warmly welcomed by a friendly member of staff and allowed to choose our own seating—there were plenty of comfortable options available. Ordering via QR code at the table was smooth and efficient. Unfortunately, the food itself didn’t quite meet expectations. The loaded nachos looked very appealing but were let down by a tangy sauce that overshadowed the other flavours. The tagliatelle dish was equally disappointing, with a noticeable shortage of chicken and an excess of mushrooms; the sauce was grainy and overly peppery, losing the creamy consistency we expected. The most surprising letdown was our drinks—advertised as refreshing beverages, but actually served as thick milkshake-like desserts. Rather than being refreshing, they had a heavy, ice-cream consistency dominated by coconut and vanilla flavours, which felt misleading given the menu description. That said, the French toast dessert was delicious and the clear standout of our visit. The decor was tasteful, the atmosphere pleasant, and everything appeared clean and well-maintained. Overall, despite decent service and nice decor, the experience was unfortunately marred by the food. It’s not somewhere I’d rush to revisit or recommend—not out of negativity, but to spare others a similar disappointment.

Eden Tearoom Cafe continues to impress with every visit. The service is consistently brilliant—friendly, welcoming, and attentive without being intrusive. The atmosphere is calm and inviting, with beautifully thought-out decor that creates a warm, ambient setting perfect for relaxing over a meal or a coffee. The highlight, though, is undeniably the food. Every dish I’ve had here has been generous in portion and high in quality. On my most recent visit, I tried the Shakshuka for the first time—easily the best I’ve had. The sauce was warm, smoky, and rich, perfectly complementing the gently poached eggs. Served with sourdough and proper butter, it was a comforting, satisfying dish done exceptionally well. I’ve been here several times now, and Eden has never let me down. A real gem of a cafe/tearoom in Bradford. Highly recommended.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely Amazing! This place is an absolute gem! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely seemed to care about the customer experience. Every bite was bursting with flavour, beautifully presented, and clearly made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. You can tell the kitchen takes pride in what they serve. The menu offers a perfect balance of comfort and creativity. Super impressed! Will be back!

An excellent place for breakfast. We were visiting Bradford and appreciated the convenient parking outside – just make sure to register your number plate with them. The food was served relatively quickly and was very tasty. It’s slightly on the expensive side, but the quality reflects the price. A big shoutout to the manager, Raju Bhai, who really looked after us.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 11/10 – Absolutely Unreal! Eden’s Tearoom is hands down one of the best breakfast spots I’ve ever been to. The food is unreal – perfectly cooked, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. Every bite felt like comfort and quality rolled into one. From the fluffy pancakes to the hearty full English, it’s clear they take serious pride in what they serve. But what truly sets Eden’s apart is the customer service. It’s honestly on another level – warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive. You feel like more than just a customer here; you’re treated like a guest in someone’s home. If I could give it more than five stars, I would. 11/10 – absolutely recommend!

Would definitely recommend. I got the chocolate cake and it was one of the best I’ve ever had. True chocolate lovers will love it! I also tried the fresh orange juice and it was absolutely delicious. The people I went with also loved what they got (scones and carrot cake). The service was super friendly, quick and attentive. It’s right next to Lister Park so it’s also in a lovely spot after going for a walk.

Nothing was too much for Raj, he was so attentive and made sure we had the best experience after learning we had travelled over 80 miles. Caffè Concerto Victoria Gate is a stunning Italian café that perfectly blends elegance with a touch of British charm. Nestled in the vibrant Victoria Gate Mall, this delightful spot offers an array of delectable dishes, from traditional mains to fresh salads and tempting baked goods. One of its standout features is the exquisite Afternoon Tea experience, where guests can indulge in delicate finger sandwiches, fluffy scones—both plain and fruity—and an assortment of mouthwatering sweets and cakes.
Delicious food, beautiful ambience and lovely staff! Corina helped us choose the food and it was the best choice. Must try pistachio desserts. Would definitely come again!
Yasmin L — Google review
Summary: fast service, nice atmosphere, large portions, but the food is mid. Full review: Overall, it was okay. I was going to get a cake, but a fly was flying around, so I had to pass today since the cakes are on a display shelf. I have to be frank; the portions are big, but the quality is subpar when it comes to the salad; the mozzarella was watery, and the rest of the ingredients weren’t the best quality (lacking in flavour). The only saving grace was the perfectly ripe avocado. The Super Green smoothie was nice, even though it was quite sweet for my liking, but I enjoyed it. The cafe atmosphere is nice, but I think there are better options around Leeds within this price range. On the other hand, the service was good; it was fast and efficient. I personally found the portions to be far too big for my liking; they are akin to American portions. After a small or moderate-sized meal, perhaps keep this in mind before ordering. Being sincere; this lunch wasn't it, I wasn't satisfied with the food quality and flavour, it felt more like a £7 salad more than anything.
Lady D — Google review
The place is a real class in terms of location and ambience. Was a bit too perfumy for some reason and a bit too hot inside, but we had two desserts - Mango mousse and Chocolate forrest cake - and they were really good. Mango mousse did not taste like mousse, and it was a bit too sweet for my liking but it looks amazing and ate well. Black forrest was the better one out of the two. The chocolate shards in both the dishes tasted a bit meh (chewy as well) but we went at night around 10ish.
Siddhant S — Google review
I don’t like to leave bad reviews but this place needs improvement. Been twice now and the service has been extremely poor both times. Staff are rushed off their feet while customers are left waiting for orders to be taken. Overheard one woman come up to the bar to ask about an order and she decided to leave after having to wait far too long. Not a nice environment to sit it, lots of tension between staff. Also, the saffron milk cake was a sad reflection of the picture on the menu and very clearly old and dried up. In my opinion should not have been served, especially for the price of £8. Management should take a proper look at the understaffing issue, considering they are charging a 12.5% service charge. Hope to see some improvements as it’s a nice addition to Victoria Gate.

We walked in and we were seated straight away (Wednesday morning ~11:00). A very impressive breakfast and drinks menu, and very easy to choose something if you are vegetarian or vegan. We got the lemon basil iced tea, strawberry iced matcha, garden breakfast, and the all day energiser. The service from everybody was high quality and quick; we didn't have to wait long for any part of our order. And a special shout-out to Ben who was fantastic for our entire meal! ☺️ Highly recommend!

Nice atmosphere. The americano was good. We tried different breakfast options, unfortunately all of it wasn’t good enough. French toast tasted like a sandwich with syrup, the avocados were not soft at all. Pumpkin hot chocolate is good but doesn’t have any pumpkin flavour, just good hot chocolate. And the orange juice is ok, it’s not fresh although we have been told it’s fresh. The service takes so long although it was morning and the place wasn’t full. Nevertheless, the waitresses are nice. Definitely (over)priced.
Rayan A — Google review
We tried both the Carbonara and the Rose Cream pasta. The Carbonara was rich, creamy, definitely the highlight of the meal. Unfortunately, the Rose Cream pasta fell short; the sauce was quite watery. Additionally, the portion size felt a bit modest considering the price point. That said, the ambience of the restaurant was pleasant, and the service was reasonably good, rounding out a mixed but overall decent dining experience.

If you're on the hunt for an authentic pizza experience, look no further than Majestic Pizzas. Nestled in the charming town of Wath, this beloved establishment has been serving up delicious hand-stretched pizzas for over 30 years. The secret to their success lies in Luigi's dedication to crafting each base personally, ensuring a quality that stands out from the competition.
The first pizza me and my friend ever had about 30 years ago was form here. It took us ages to eat it because we was not used to this kind of food. Even today with all the pizza places about none come close to majestic. By the way Lou Helen is fine and I've just sent my mother down to get another. Thanks for being way above the rest. From the outside you wouldn't think this place is a pizza place but a all year round Christmas place. Upon entering you're greeted with a lovely "What do you want?", if you don't mind the attitude from the front house staff it's a good place. The pizza itself was good for the price, but nothing special.

The best pizza - Luigi hand stretches all the bases personally, unlike most of the pizza shops around here that use pre-made bases. The prices have barely increased in the 30+ years that this place has been open. He doesn't deliver, he doesn't need to, its that popular. If you want a Friday tea-time pizza phone it in or you will be waiting, it's that popular.

I called to order afternoon tea for my parents as i live in Manchester and haven’t seen them since the CV-19 lockdown. The owners were so caring, and couldn’t do enough for me. The afternoon tea was delivered next day, to their home. The food was in abundance and my parents said fantastic quality. The price was very reasonable too. Thank you so so much for this fantastic customer service !!! I’m sure my mum will pop in once you re-open xxx

Had an afternoon tea delivered for my grandma whilst in lockdown, which she really enjoyed! The lady who I dealt with was very friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble (even delivered somewhere out of the area on a Sunday). Price was very reasonable and there was more than enough food. Would definitely recommend and I will certainly be visiting the cafe when open again!

I have been visiting the Conservatory for 30 years. Disappointingly the food is now far inferior under the new owner. My experience was tasteless defrosted mini desserts on the afternoon tea (think Iceland party pack) , they seem to be serving old baked potatoes (dark inside and soggy skin. ? Yesterdays) and cheap pink salmon on the sandwiches (always red in the past) all served without salad or crisps. If the food was high quality I could easily forgive that my sandwich arrived 10 minutes after everyone elses, that no plates were given for the afternoon tea and that my request for more milk was forgotten. I always try and support local independent cafes but it was poor and I wont return.

A beautiful, traditional tea room. Friendly & welcoming staff. The decor was just stunning and i was told by the manager it had been preserved for 60+ years. The food was delicious, ordered a goats cheese & caramelized onion panini, latte and a slice of victoria sponge. First time visiting and i would highly recommend.

Great place ran by people which are competent and happy to help. Only criticism is when I have asked for tomato sauce I have got chopped tomato on it. The food has always been fine every time I have been. Needs to be some offers on, especially for students! A college is in Wakefield as well as the primary base for Backstage Academy students.

Lovely staff however the breakfast that was served was very disappointing as it was cold, the whole meal was hard and rubbery and we experienced this with both meals so it seems to be a constant issue from looking at other reviews aswell. We were the fist customers in so this is a huge cause for concern.
Ash S — Google review
Meals are overpriced. Grated cheese kids lunch box is a slice of cheese in bread (not grated) with a cheap carton of juice and crisps. Not worth the £6! Bacon is hard, sausage has no flavour. No point visiting
James — Google review
Rude staff member at the till who didn’t know the menu. Asked if they had pancakes and she said “they’re not even on the menu” they were and I showed her. We ordered a panini and it was clearly warmed up in the microwave, soggy bread, the chips were cold and tasteless. It’s sad because we loved coming here but the food standard has gone downhill drastically. Very overpriced, will not return.
Emma W — Google review
Usually visit here for breakfast as we like the 6 or 8 piece pick your own menu. Noticed today this was no longer available, no black pudding on menu now either, breakfast also does not come with toast (we didn't get any) and couldn't see the option to order it as extra so instead ordered fried bread as extra costing £1.79, for that price expecting one piece of breads worth but instead only half a slice of bread. Total rip off. Don't think we will be going back there.
Katherine W — Google review
Food and service great as usual. However, we were very disappointed not to be able to have what we actually wanted - a cooked meal. Despite the fact we were in the restaurant just after 2:40pm and ordrered almost straight away and the restaurant allegedly stops serving food at 3pm (it actually states this on the menu). Maybe a more realistic time should be on the menus.

***This review has now been updated with a much less glowing review for a repeat visit on 31 Dec 2023.*** Absolutely fantastic afternoon tea. So many tasty treats we struggled to eat them all ….. but we prepared ourselves by skipping lunch and visiting late afternoon, so just about managed to clear the plates. Excellent choice of leaf tea to accompany ranging from traditional breakfast and earl grey to red berries. The staff were attentive without being intrusive and made us feel nothing was a trouble. Totally going again. Special mention for the menu as one of our group has a severe nut allergy- no nuts in the treats and they showed us the matrix so we could see the ingredients etc. A little touch that was reassuring. Thank you Team Grand Pacific @ The Queens.

Had a wonderfull time at grand pacific for afternoon tea with my good friend who came from london. Lovely food . Waitress very accomadating n polite. Lovely surroundings ..gave 4 stars because of one thing . We ordered two afternoon tea special s n had 80% of sweet dish left over..so wanted to take home. But were told we couldnt because of natashas law.. i was very bemused . We have had lots of high end afternoon teas n never heard of this before anywhere in london..or york or harrogate. My husband who works in this line n said ruling is with pre SEALED food needs to be labelled properly. Not food which is left over...so would like a more precise answer. In this day of price hikes everywhere its such a waste.....otherwise lovely day...
