Dinosaur Bar-B-Que is a barbecue chain known for its Southern-style meats and draft brews, often accompanied by live music. The restaurant offers a cozy retro setting with friendly staff. Customers rave about the green tomatoes, fall-off-the-bone ribs, bold BBQ-flavored brisket, and habanero BBQ sauce. While some find the location a bit out of the way, many are willing to make the trip for special occasions.
The Dinosaur Bar-B-Que restaurant is an absolute amazing barbecue based chain that offers guest delicious Southern style cuisine ranging from brisket, ribs, pulled pork and wings. In February of 2019, I brought and treated my wife and myself for dinner at Dinosaur Bar-B-Que, specifically the branch based in Harlem, New York to celebrate our Happy One Year Wedding Anniversary!!! We both very much enjoyed our dining experience!!! The staff warmly greeted us when we arrived at the restaurant and quickly provided us with a very large and comfortable dining table. Our server, Joel was very kind, superbly professional and made us feel right at home. He did a great job on explaining the menu options, the specials for the day and offered great tips on the dishes that we were likely to favor and enjoy. In addition, he perfectly noted our orders, and routinely checked in on us to make sure we were having a good time and that our needs were met. We thank Joel for his hospitality and wonderful service. Ultimately my wife and I decided to order the “Family Stylin Bar-B-Que” entree which consists of 6 pieces of whole chicken, full rack of ribs, an order of pork or brisket, cornbread and 3 homemade sides. We were both in awe of the sheer quantity of food that was provided and we found every dish to be well cooked, perfectly seasoned and fabulously delicious. Everything was flawlessly made and a delight to eat!!! If you enjoy Southern style cuisine coupled with great hospitality, you’ll definitely enjoy visiting and dining at Dinosaur Bar-B-Que. My wife and I would love to thank this great restaurant for providing us an exceptional dining experience, one that we’ll cherish forever!!!

Visiting from out of town was nice and it was a nice atmosphere, good vibes and was able to accommodate a party of 15. There were a lot of provocative wall art for young children to see, that would be my only complaint of the atmosphere. Our waitress was a little slow at first getting to us but altogether she was good. She was knowledgeable of the menu and tried to accommodate us as best she could. Some of the drinks and food items we asked for were not available which was a little disappointing but overall the food and drinks that we were able to get were good. My husband had the beef ribs, Mac and cheese and creole potato salad. He says the ribs and Mac and cheese were AMAZING but there was nothing Creole about the potato salad, it was just regular potato salad, so he feels like he could’ve picked something better. I had the make your own salad with jerk salmon. The salad was a pretty big serving, however there was no jerk on the salmon and the portion of salmon was small for the amount of salad. And I needed to ask for more dressing. The DEVILD EGGS were soooo delicious.

Dinosaur Bar-B-Que in Harlem (right off 125th Street by the Hudson River) is a fantastic spot for classic southern barbecue in a great location. The restaurant is super clean, with a lively yet comfortable atmosphere, and the staff are always friendly and welcoming. The space is versatile — you can grab a seat at the bar, sit at tall tables, or settle in at regular tables. It works equally well for big groups, small gatherings, or even solo meals. As for the food, it’s exactly what you’d hope for: smoky brisket, tender baby back ribs, pulled pork, and all the classic southern sides like coleslaw, potatoes, and fries. Portions are generous, flavors are bold, and everything is served hot and fresh. The location is a real plus too — right next to a park by the river, making it perfect to stroll before or after your meal. If you’re looking for authentic BBQ in NYC with great service and a prime setting, this place is hard to beat.

Dinosaur Bar-B-Que – Harlem, NY If you’re craving real, smoky, fall-off-the-bone BBQ in New York, this spot hits the mark! The brisket was unbelievably tender — juicy, perfectly smoked, and drenched in their tangy house sauce. Every bite melts in your mouth with that deep, slow-cooked flavor you can only get from real pit barbecue. The whipped sweet potatoes were a surprise standout — buttery, creamy, and just the right touch of orange flavor sweetness to balance the smoky meats. Service was impressively quick and friendly, even though the place was packed. Food came out hot and fresh in no time, which made the whole experience even better. The vibe is classic Harlem — rustic wood, buzzing energy, and that smoky aroma drifting from the open kitchen. A great spot for hearty comfort food with zero pretense.

The service was exceptional that the server provided. She was patient, helpful, friendly & recommend what was economical on the menu for a party of four. Everything we order was delicious & filling. The restaurant has a nice ambiance & location which is near the Hudson River. Highly recommend when in Harlem.

2/21/25 – 7 PM Went here with my boyfriend at 7 PM and boy, it was packed! The place was bustling and since we didn’t have a reservation, we ended up waiting about 45 minutes for a table. Note to self (and to anyone else thinking of going): make a reservation. Even people with reservations still had to wait a bit, so that says a lot about how busy it gets. Once we finally sat down, it took about 30 minutes for our food to come out. We started with chicken wings (3 pc for $6.50 or 6 pc for 12.50) — I had the honey BBQ and he had the jerk glaze. For mains, my boyfriend ordered the jerk salmon with mac and cheese and Syracuse-style potatoes ($23.50). I went for the combo plate—¼ chicken and prime brisket—with whipped sweet potatoes and French fries ($26). We also had their strawberry lemonade, which was super sweet but really refreshing. Overall, the food was worth the wait. Everything was flavorful and satisfying, and I’d definitely come back—but this time with a reservation, lol.

Everything was delicious especially The Korean style short ribs and Mac & Cheese, Personally I loved the potato salad so much but kids are not big fan because of the gherkins inside! Our waitress was very helpful ( went through the trouble to get me some hot water) and knowledgeable about the food! We went on a Sunday 3pm ish so not that busy got served straight away! I would definitely recommend everyone to try this place!

The food was absolutely phenomenal. The trio platter, which included two sides, was a perfect choice. The 1/4 chicken, pulled chicken, and brisket were all incredibly delicious. The spicy cucumber salad was also a standout dish. The service was excellent, and the staff was accommodating and attentive, even with our large group.

Fette Sau is a popular BBQ joint in Williamsburg, NYC, known for its dry-rub BBQ, beer, and bourbon. The restaurant's industrial decor and wall mural create a unique atmosphere for enjoying exquisite smoked meats. Since its opening in 2007 by Joe Carroll, Fette Sau has been a go-to spot for BBQ enthusiasts. The menu features a variety of smoked meats with equal emphasis on pork and brisket, along with special items like barbecued duck.
amazing place. a little bit of a dive, but in a good way. adds character and atmosphere. EVERY single thing we had was good. better than some other BBQ places we've been to within driving distance. The only gripe we had, is outside of their control, seems to be that there's a shelter around the block. some unsavory characters when walking there after parking, and another inside begging for someone to buy him a meal. Please, while being aware of this, don't let this deter you from going there, you'll be missing out on some pretty legit food. the dude at the counter was also extremely welcoming and informative. edit. saw reviews saying the food is bland. I disagree wholeheartedly. if you're used to heavy overseasoned food, than this comment makes sense. i thought everything was pretty well seasoned, and found the beans to be a little on the heavily seasoned side, but still delicious (albeit, heavy). only negative comment that has a little validity, the fatty cuts. out short ribs, while delicious, were on the fatty side. I wouldn't let that stop of from going back. also, a little on the pricey side, but not out of reason considering the food and location.

If you’re craving authentic BBQ with personality, FatSauce is a must. Tucked in a fun, buzzy Brooklyn neighborhood, this spot brings serious summer vibes with a touch of German beer hall charm. From the moment you step in, it’s an experience — everyone behind the counter knows their role: one slicing brisket, another plating up generous sides, someone pouring that dangerously good honey peach punch at the bar. The beef brisket is incredibly meaty, each cut with its own texture and story. The pork ribs? Juicy and fall-off-the-bone tender. Even the bread is worth a shout-out — warm, fluffy, and perfect for mopping up sauce. Sides like slaw, mac, and pickles are spot on. What makes it extra fun is the open, outdoor seating area — casual, lively, and full of energy. And best of all? Prices are honest, portions are real, and the vibe is just good. If BBQ is your thing, don’t miss this one! 🍗 🍖 🍹

Had a quick dinner here a few weeks ago and it was okay. I have a somewhat high bar when it comes to BBQ, so I definitely am coming into a spot like this with implicit bias. But overall, everything was fine. Nothing to scream off a rooftop about, but also not something I felt was a waste of a meal. Good for a casual quick bites with friends, given that there is ample space and the service is easy.

Love love love this place! We had ribs, brisket, potato salad, brocoli, a cocktail and a whiskey flight. Everything was delicious, not too sweet (usually a major issue for us as non Americans), and served in a professional, friendly, and relaxed way. The premises are fun and unpretentious. Vibe is cool and casual, made us non locals feel welcome.

As someone from Texas, this is so far the only good bbq place I've had in NY (granted, I have only tried 3 places). The brisket, sausage, and cornbread was all amazing. The pork belly was really photogenic but very dry. Both times I went it was easy to get seating but I have only been on the weekdays.

Roll up the garage door and fire up the grill. Legit midwesterner bbq in Brooklyn. In the third bay of an auto body shop these kids can Q. Whiskey bar, tasty sides and communal indoor and outdoor seating. Holy hickory smokes, beef is alive and dead and consumed under this high wood beam roof.

This gem in Brooklyn turned out as a surprise. Started with old fashion as my drink of choice. Bartender ain't no joke, made them perfectly and consistently. The food was okay, and I had the brisket and pork ribs. I never use sauce because I want to taste the flavor of the meat. Brisket was too fatty, but the pork ribs were perfection.

If you're craving quality meat, this is the place to be. They offer an excellent selection of cuts, all cooked to perfection, and the sides are equally impressive. The spicy BBQ sauce is a standout—absolutely delicious and packed with flavor. Plus, there's a bar if you're in the mood for a drink. I highly recommend this spot for a relaxed, laid-back experience with great food, perfect for enjoying a long, leisurely meal with friends.

Hometown Bar-B-Que is a popular rustic counter-service restaurant known for its slow-smoked meats, craft beer selection, and live music on weekends. With locations in Red Hook and Industry City, as well as Miami, this BBQ joint offers a diverse menu that reflects the flavors of Brooklyn. From Vietnamese Hot Wings to Caribbean Jerk Baby Back Ribs and Texas-style Brisket to Pulled Pork, there's something for every barbecue enthusiast.
Highly recommend this place! I hate white meat because it can be dry but I cannot express enough how PERFECT the chicken breast was here. The Korean Ribs were delightful- the perfect mix between sweet, a mild kick and the crushed peanuts on top just added to this. The Mac and cheese was very decadent and filled with cheesy flavor. We also got the brisket dip which was amazing!!!! Very thick and with a mild kick as well, I cannot express this enough- you need to try this place!! Just know when you go in you will need to order at the cash register to order. They’ll give you a table number. You will have to self serve plates, cutlery and water.

Absolute hands down best BBQ joint in NY and perhaps best I’ve ever had. All the hype about Hometown is on point. Super casual and super friendly staff. You have the choice of both indoor and outdoor seating. Every item on their menu is to die but the ultimate is the pastrami sandwich. YES you heard me right! This sandwich is even better than Katz’s. More bark, more tender, juicier and let’s not forget the buttered rye bread. Bottom line, there is not a single item on their menu that is not worth devouring.
Jesse Y — Google review
Super fan spot. In the top circle of NYC-based BBQ establishments. Daily list of standard and special BBQ fare, by the lb or in sandwich form. Good sides. Ribs and Pulled Pork I give an 8/10, brisket at 7/10, beans 8.5/10, corn bread is really interesting 8.5/10. Other sides are a 7/10. Overall comment is that I wish there was a bit more smoke flavor on everything, and the sides were a bit on the fatty side. But it's very good BBQ. Great atmosphere, and excellent vibe. Live music put everything over the top. Totally awesome scene and energy. Drinks are also very good, homemade cocktails and all the mixers and garnishes taste fresh. Would absolutely recommend.
Matt B — Google review
I just loved the idea of dining to a local place; we really loved the vibe! It’s a self service restaurant where the staff are extremely helpful and friendly even though we were tourists dining for the first time there! I noticed on the board menu that several dishes were written off which meant that they were easily sold out. Tables are on a first come first serve basis and the drinks are sold on the bar. There is a station with several take away boxes which you can use to take out your leftovers!! The food was bursting with flavour; the family found it a bit spicy but to me it was amazing!
Tonia N — Google review
Pretty good BBQ place for a NY Joint. Saw this place advertised on Man, Fire, Food on TV. Hard to find a Beef Rib in the area and Texas Red Chili all in one Place. Overall the BBQ was spot on. Everything a BBQ place should be. Smaller place than I expected size wise and got that country look to it. Felt that the Korean Sticky ribs although tasted good was a bit over cooked and tough to eat. The best was that Beef Rib, Brisket and The Chili. Definitely worth the trip and place to check out.
Mark S — Google review
This was my third time here and for some reason the wait in line was for 40 minutes (I wanted some BBQ and happened to be in the area so I waited 🤷🏾‍♀️). I got a $22 brisket sandwich that was hard to chew and the meat was not hot. The hometown bbq at industry city has always been good when I've gone! Their food was hot and the brisket tender with the right amount of fat. So i'm giving up on this location 🫤 Every time I come here the brisket dissapoints.
Rehema T — Google review
Probably the best BBQ in NYC. While a far cry from some of the titans in the South, Hometown deserves credit for its innovative approach to a classic cuisine. The highlights on the menu are the greens, beans and potato salad and their two sauces are excellent. In terms of flavor, Hometown knows what it’s doing. The meat, however, is not quite perfect. The brisket could render the fat more to avoid heavy fatty pieces, and while the smoke on the ribs were good, the flavor was average. If you’re thinking of heading to Red Hook to visit, be prepared to wait at least an hour in line. They will supplement this wait time by taking drink orders in line, or you can walk up to the bar and grab one as well. With occasional live music, and ample space, Hometown certainly has the look and feel of a classic BBQ joint. Worth a visit- if you can make it through the line!
Tim H — Google review
The best BBQ in NYC and most of Texas. This place is divine. Food is delicious and made with love. The line goes around the corner for a reason. Pastrami bacon is heaven. Pulled pork and brisket sandwiches are the bomb and all the sides are scrumptious. Our family go to. ♥️♥️♥️

Named after Lutonsky's grandmother, this authentic roadside barbecue joint offers a taste of Southern hospitality in Williamsburg. The menu features popular items like lean sliced brisket and tender St. Louis ribs, both served with a tangy yet sweet house sauce.
Long running Old school Williamsburg smokehouse with one of the best brisket and sausage in NY. All meats is deep with flavor and the sides are all to die for headlined by the Mac & Cheese. Reservation highly recommended especially evening hours. Each staff is super friendly with vibrant attitude. I can’t say enough good things about Mable’s.

Walked around the area and decided to stop by — so glad I did! The vibe is laid-back and welcoming. The pulled pork was tender and full of flavor, and the ginger cocktail totally stole the show. Perfect combo of smoky, spicy, and refreshing. Great spot to unwind with good food and strong drinks. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in Brooklyn and craving BBQ with character.

Pleasantly surprised with this place. Very flavorful barbecue (the ribs need no sauce) The brisket was melt in your mouth brisket and the collard greens were almost as good as mine 😂 I tried it twice in 2 weeks and both times it was delicious.

10/10 I was not disappointed! The food was amazing and great portions for the price. As a Brit I would definitely recommend trying this place for smokehouse food. The staff were amazing and friendly. The atmosphere is cozy and the location is easy to find from the subway. I would definitely come back again!

Glad to have this place in Brooklyn. Kinda hard to find good smoke house in New York. Brisket won. Still have to try many things from the menu but definitely coming back soon . Very cozy and beautiful place. Oh ya almost forgot. Make sure to ahave in hand the pepper Vinegar

Overall, it was very good and super recommend it ! The Brisket was phenomenal and the mac and cheese was also quite good…pulled pork sandwich was alright, although my buddy got the chicharron and it was delish, I wish I had ordered it instead. The only downsize is that during peak hours it might be tough to get a table to seat

Cannot even begin to rave about Mable’s and its incredible staff!! Thank you endlessly to Jamm and co, they took care of my group of 18 SO well. We came here to celebrate a friend’s birthday and they flawlessly worked with me to provide a fun dessert surprise; everyone was attentive, kind and understanding. The food was incredible; every person at our table walked away content with both meal and service. Our party package included almost every single item on their menu, and it was all phenomenal. And a big shoutout to their event staff Melina, who was so patient with me as we navigated planning this birthday. We’ll 1000% be coming back!!

Larger offerings include Brisket, Baby Back Ribs, Bully Beer Fish Fry, and Cajun Chicken Linguini.
We went during Sunday morning Brunch time. The Halloween decor was very nicely done as you can see by the many pictures I took. You have got to try their Fried Cauliflower appetizer. Server tried to take the plate when we still had three more pieces on the plate. Nah sis. We are eating those. Cold and all. Shrimp and Grits, Fried chicken and Waffles! The South would be proud to have you represent them. Everything was delicious. Grits were creamy, done perfectly. Right amount of coating on the chicken. Still juicy and very savory. Everything piping hot when it arrived to the table. Yummy!!!!! My southern father would have loved them. Did I mention the Arnold Palmers were on point too!

Been coming to Bully since I moved to FH. They opened around the same time and I have NEVER been disappointed. Bring your friends, get the BBQ package. The amount you get is well worth it. Their bartenders are amazing. Never an over/under pour. Friendly and inviting atmosphere. From the second you walk in it is somewhere you go "alright, I can enjoy myself here". I've seen waitstaff here for quite some time. So you know the owners treat their staff well.

There were certain dishes my sisters didn't like, but everything else was fine for the other parties present. I won't say which. I had the chicken and waffles with a side egg and grits. My food was good. DJ did his thing. Very nice ambiance.

Visited this spot for the first time, and it was okay. The special on Monday was what attracted us to this restaurant. The menu seemed like it was a blend of BBQ and Indian Cuisine. They had a good variety of BBQ staples to choose from alongside some fusion items that featured Indian foods. We ordered the BBQ Meat Sampler Platter, Mac & Cheese, Pulled Pork Sliders, and another ½ pound of Brisket in case it wasn't enough. The food arrived quickly other than the pulled pork sliders, which was never delivered to our table. Overall, the taste of the food was passable, but there was nothing to write home about. The Brisket and Pulled Pork was dry, and Ribs were still tough and clinged to the bone. Of all the sides, the fries were the best, and everything was just okay. The server was running around all evening, being the only person on the floor and by no fault of theirs, but each table around us was also looking for them. Unfortunately, I will not be returning to this restaurant for another meal.

Went here for on a Sunday for lunch during restaurant week. Their menu on the site states lunch is "Everyday 12 - 4PM" (which we were very much within those times). Upon asking our server for the restaurant week menu, he stated that it does not start until 5PM and that we would have to order from the brunch/main menu. I asked again, saying that their site says everyday until 4PM. Again, we were given the same response. We were looking forward to trying their menu but were apparently mislead by the menu. The seating area was quite cozy, especially if not sitting at one of the benches. Other patrons seemed inattentive or lacked basic courtesy to shift chairs slightly inward to get into the seat (my chair leg did not have enough room to even clear the edge of the table). We ended up ordering from the brunch menu for a chance a redemption. We ordered the Biscuit Bully Plate. Biscuits were pretty good and were paired with a maple butter. However, the chicken was quite dry and the hot sauce provided felt a bit lackluster and unoriginal (think Frank's Red Hot + a bit of maple syrup). We'd like to give them another chance in the future and hopefully won't be mislead again.

I would own a beer hall like this except the music is too loud. The food is delicious and I love the burger. Everyone is happy with this order and everything is great. Service is attentive. Food came very fast and we had a good time. Ambiance is perfect for a brunch.

Hands down, EVERYTHING was amazing. They were very attentive and made sure everything was to one's liking. The food was delicious, and the portions were great. We ordered burgers and they were cooked perfectly to our request. The drinks were not watered down, and they even made me a drink that wasn't on the menu. Oh! And the fries and seasoned! Not just an excess of salt but seasoned well, and the perfect crunch 👌🏽 the brisket was also tender and juicy.

This place was bomb. Spacious inside and a super cute outdoor area in the back. The service was so friendly and helpful. Food was pretty legit too. The cornbread was a surprising star of our meal. The burnt ends were a bit too fatty but everything else slapped.

I visited on a Thursday, and the service was outstanding. A lovely Bangladeshi auntie took great care of all the customers, making the experience even more enjoyable. The only downside is that the location is a bit out of the way, so it’s more convenient for those who have a car. Overall, it’s a fantastic place and definitely worth a visit!

I’ve eaten at John Brown’s several times. I’ve always really enjoyed their food. Food tastes great, big portions, tasty sides and their Mac and Cheese is amazing. Nice ice cold beers as well. You’ll love this little gem of a place.

The good: Ribs, burnt ends and collard greens. Also the place has really nice outdoor seating. The bad: brisket (it was dry), bread and beans. The ugly: Cornbread - steer clear if you don’t like the taste of canned/cream corn. Otherwise very moist (almost soggy though).

Came here on a Sunday afternoon. The Chiefs vs Raider’s football 🏈 game was on all the televisions 📺. Everyone was dressed in KC Jerseys. It felt like we were in Missouri not Astoria Queens. Food is good. Nice staff. The lady working the outside patio was very friendly. On the expensive side so bring your Credit Cards 💳. Give this place a try if you’re in the area. We will definitely be going back.

A relaxed Kansas style BBQ spot with backyard dining area. Got a bit of everything to share including ribs, briskets, patrami, burnt ends and a bunch of sides. The choice of sauces pleased different pallates. After ordering, food was brought out relatively quickly. Great experience, waa first time trying American BBQ for one of the party.

I have normally been a prime rib gal, but I think I'm gravitating now towards their pastrami and burn ends! Great time to go on the weekends right before it right at 5P, fresh cuts and slow crowd. Wonderful service by "Ma" and the team. Always feels like home when coming here.
Dessa R — Google review
As someone from KC, a few thoughts: 1. Burnt Ends were delish! A MUST have. Staple. Absolutely banger. If you’re ordering only 1 thing, get this 2. Cornbread is a bit too moist. It’s basically corncake. Could be up to your taste, but i think cornbread should be a hit structured and have a solid crust 3. Pit beans, i appreciate the burnt ends in the beans, but something felt off about the texture. Other pictures show a better version of the pit beans, so I’ll have to come back and try again and update 4. Huge on the white bread side. Very very Kansas City. 5. MAC AND CHEESE - primo. Beautiful. Must get. Otherwise - staff were nice. Prices for portions were all reasonable. sauces were solid. Definitely will come back

Hudson Smokehouse, located in the Mott Haven area of the South Bronx, is a must-visit for barbecue enthusiasts. Owned by Kenneth McPartlan, whose family has a rich history in the restaurant industry, this smokehouse offers a variety of mouthwatering dishes such as Texas-style Brisket, Pork Belly Burnt Ends, and flavorful sandwiches.
Best potato salad ever !! I ordered the half rack of ribs, they were falling off the bone! The service was good. A real family vibe. Will definitely be coming back again! The girl who was at the register was a big help being that it was me and my boyfriend’s first time. She gave us good recommendations that fits our palette.

To be honest with you, the food was below average. The ribs were dry but seasoned pretty good, and the brisket was not smoked at all. There was no smoke ring or a smoke flavor whatsoever. The chicken was ehh, very dry as well but decent seasoning. The baked beans had way too much going on and you really couldn't get the taste or real baked beans. The Mac n cheese had no cheese it was more like a little cheese sauce mixed in noodles, very bland. The cornbread was super mushy and the flavor was ok, i ended up throwing away half of my portion. I've been BBQing for a very long time and I was expecting much more from this place especially with its name "smokehouse" the $60 i spent there was definitely not worth it. Fyi there was a roach crawling on the floor aswell

Great lunch special deals. Love the smoked wings with classic buffalo sauce. Flavor is great but sometimes they come out a little dry. Still very tasty overall.

I came here for brunch recently it’s $19.99 including a mimosa which I thought was a great deal at first but the burger and fries I had were terrible and burger overly cheesey no lettuce or tomato added or anything didn’t taste good...the fries tasted over heated and stale not good and the presentation was below average..not sure how an establishment can mess up a burger and fries.. it was really bad and not appetizing at all..they need to re evaluate their brunch menu and maybe they shouldn’t offer one if they can’t get it right..The atmosphere also didnt feel inviting

Bark Barbecue is a renowned food spot in NYC, known for its moveable feast that started with pitmaster Ruben Santana serving his slow-cooked, white oak-fueled recipes at outdoor markets and pop-ups. Now with a permanent outpost at Timeout Market in DUMBO, Bark Barbecue offers a variety of smoked meats like beef brisket and pulled pork alongside delectable sides such as mac and cheese and sweet plantains.
Bark Barbecue at Time Out Market Rooftop is an absolute must-visit for anyone who loves authentic, flavorful barbecue. The restaurant is incredibly popular, so be prepared to wait around 30 minutes, but the wait is more than worth it. I tried a variety of dishes including spare ribs, sausage, brisket, pulled pork, chicharrón pork, chicken, and coleslaw. Every single item was outstanding. The spare ribs were tender, juicy, and perfectly smoked, while the sausage had a robust, savory flavor. The brisket melted in my mouth, and the pulled pork was rich and flavorful. Chicharrón pork was crispy and delicious, and the chicken was succulent. The coleslaw was fresh and crunchy, providing the perfect balance to the richness of the meats. Portions were generous, flavors bold, and every bite kept me coming back for more. The rooftop setting adds a lively and enjoyable atmosphere, making it a perfect spot to relax, enjoy the view, and savor the food. Whether you’re a local or visiting Time Out Market for the first time, Bark Barbecue is a must-try destination. Highly recommended!

After walking across the Brooklyn Bridge to the DUMBO (Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass) area of Brooklyn we decided to have lunch at the Timeout Market foodhall. We looked at all the many wonderful food stalls options on the ground floor before taking the lift up to check out the open air seating area on the 5th floor rooftop, as I had downloaded the App that allowed me to look at all the food options from the stalls, order anything I wanted, pay for it online and have it delivered to our table on the rooftop. When we got to the 5th floor we discovered there was a smaller foodhall with 5 food stalls and a bar. The Bark Barbeque stall immediately caught our attention as it was the only one with a queue and we love BBQ food. So I queued up for 15 minutes and ordered some fantastic Dominican BBQ food (beef brisket, pulled pork sandwich, smoked conitas & cornbread with honey butter), which we enjoyed with a couple of great IPA beers that my wife had purchased from the bar, sitting at a bench table with fantastic views of the Manhattan Bridge & Manhatten skyline. We really enjoyed all the food😋😋😋 The beef brisket was so flavourful, moist and tender, we could cut it with our folks. We also enjoyed the cornbread with honey butter, however, the star of the show for me was the smoked conitas served on tostones (fried green plantain slices) with onions & Bark green sauce. I've never had this before and I was delighted with the incredible combination of flavours with the crunchy tostones. Smoked conitas (Mexican pulled pork) is pork shoulder cooked low and slow on the smoker and then finished in a citrusy braise until it transforms into melt-in-your-mouth shredded meat. Our deliciously, refreshingly light, fruity IPA beer was the perfect accompliment for our BBQ food😋😋😋

Had such a great time at this barbecue spot with my dad! 🍖 We both went straight for the comfort food— • I had the baked mac & cheese with rib tips (so flavorful and filling). • My dad had mac & cheese with beef, ribs, plus yellow rice and beans—a perfect combo of hearty and smoky. The atmosphere made the meal even better. There’s a rooftop seating area where you can admire the view while enjoying your food. I loved being able to sit outside and take in the scenery—it gave the whole experience a laid-back, New York summer vibe. Definitely a spot I’d come back to for both the food and the rooftop views! 🌆✨

bark barbeque is one of the most popular vendors in timeout market (expect to queue but the queue does move fairly quickly) and for good reason, the food is excellent and definitely some of the best bbq ive ever had. The beef rib is perfectly fall off the bone tender with a great smoky flavour. The chicharron is nice and crunchy with juicy meat, longaniza sausage is a similarly solid pick - both go great with their house sauces. The smoked mac and cheese was also pretty unreal, super cheesy and stringy, not dry at all. the best thing on offer though was probably the tres golpes sandwich - a soft brioche bun stuffed with a mountain of pulled pork, a slice of fried cheese (a firm dominican cheese, like halloumi), a couple slices of fried plantain and a creamy green sauce. just works so well together. a bit on the pricier side but worth every penny, great location as well with amazing views of DUMBO from the outdoor terraced area

I had come here a few months ago and loved. I was in the area and decided to come in to have some again. This time was even more delicious than the last time. It was also very packed as there was a free salsa class going on! I absolutely recommend coming here, you won’t be disappointed. I had small macaroni and cheese, and half a pound of brisket. This place also has an amazing, direct, unobstructed view of the Brooklyn bridge!

Delicious BBQ! I love a good pulled pork sandwich and that's exactly what I got here, along with a side of maduros. The pork was so juicy and tender. The maduros were sweet and delicious too! Solid BBQ in Brooklyn!

Such an amazing and unique place, fully recommend the experience. The brisket and bbq pork ribs were delicious and very juicy, what an explosion of flavour! They have a small outdoor seating area that if you are lucky and get a spot, you have wonderful views to the Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges.

After watching a YT review we made the trip over from midtown just to try the BQQ at Bark and it was worth the trip! We ordered a couple of different sandwich’s including the pulled pork, the brisket and the beef rib plus the smoked plantains and the coleslaw. This was not a cheap meal with the beef rib at 1.5lbs coming in at $50 on its own but it was all excellent and I would rush back. The beef rib was the star of the show and one of the best things I had during our 6 days NYC trip!

We visited this pub as early as 11 AM and found it almost empty, with only two other people seated at a different table. We were greeted warmly by a staff member whose name I unfortunately don't recall. Our order took about 10 to 15 minutes to arrive. The Overload Nachos were superb, and the steak was unbelievably tender and not at all chewy. They accept both cash and credit cards. It seems the best time to visit is between 11 AM and 2 PM, as it wasn't crowded at all. We will definitely be returning!

Pig Beach BBQ Queens is a spacious industrial-style venue that offers a Southern-inspired menu featuring smoked and grilled ribs, burgers, brisket, and various sides. The restaurant is led by renowned pitmasters Matt Abdoo and Shane McBride, who have brought their expertise from Michelin-starred restaurants to create a diverse barbecue experience. The Queens location boasts a large outdoor area with live music stage, jumbotron, and verandas for summer enjoyment.
If you’re a BBQ lover, Brisket King at Pig Beach in Queens is an absolute must! This event is a meat lover’s dream — dozens of chefs, pitmasters, and restaurants serving up their best brisket creations all in one place. From smoky classics to creative bites with global twists, there wasn’t a dull plate in the bunch. Pig Beach was the perfect venue — spacious, fun, and easy to get to. The vibes were chill but lively, with great music, good drinks, and an excited crowd that clearly came hungry. The lines moved pretty smoothly, and everyone from the staff to the vendors was friendly and hyped about their food (as they should be!). Favorites of the night? I had a few bites I’m still thinking about — melt-in-your-mouth brisket, spicy sauces, a few fusion dishes I didn’t expect, and even some killer sides like smoked mac and cheese and pickled veggies that balanced everything out. Whether you’re a brisket connoisseur or just want a fun food event with friends, Brisket King delivers the goods. Already planning to come back next year!

The space is expansive, with beach-style seating reminiscent of a beer garden, creating a relaxed and inviting atmosphere. I opted for the sampler to get a taste of everything, and my favorites were definitely the brisket and the rack of ribs. The ribs were incredibly tender, fall-off-the-bone, and packed with flavor, while the brisket was cooked to perfection--not too fatty, just right. On the other hand, the smoked turkey was a bit too dry for my taste, and the pulled pork was just okay. The smoked wings, however, were pretty solid. One downside is the limited selection of beverages and alcohol. :(
Jamie L — Google review
The brisket was fabulous. The brisket, pickles and bbq sauce in one bite was so good. Pastrami and ribs weren’t the greatest, but they were fine. The mustard served with the pastrami was really tasty. The only issue was it was NFL Sunday 1pm games and the line at the bar was very long. So we had to go elsewhere for drinks.
Skeeter G — Google review
Cool, spacious spot with a beer-garden vibe and live country music that makes it a fun place to chill. I got the brisket platter with cornbread, mac and cheese, and potato salad. The brisket was tender with nice fatty bites solid flavor, just could’ve used a bit more tenderness on the non-fatty parts. The mac was creamy and smooth (not baked-style), and the potato salad had good flavor but wasn’t my favorite. The real standout was the cornbread, buttery, moist, and held together perfectly. Easily the best part of the meal. Good prices (about $32 for my meal) and solid BBQ sauces to pair with the brisket. Great spot for BBQ, brisket, and live music

Very good BBQ IN Queens, hopping joint serving BBQ cafeteria style in a warehouse and it works. Ribs had a nice smoke, very tender and flavorful. Very good brisket sandwich, Solid potato salad, purple slaw was devoured ,cornbread was moist and tasty, the fries with the sweet and spicy onions were excellent, but you can pass on the baked beans. The standout dish for me was the the Yankee red hot sausage with cherry pepper relish

Royal Rib House NYC is a beloved local spot in Brooklyn that has been serving up mouthwatering BBQ ribs, sandwiches, fried chicken, and fish for over 50 years. Open only on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, this family-owned establishment attracts locals who line up to savor their delectable offerings. The succulent pork and beef ribs are drenched in a tangy house-brand sauce that keeps customers coming back for more.
feels like an institution and for good reason- the food here is pretty much home cooking on a scale that could make any new yorker happy to have their own local bbq joint. the meat was perfectly tender without falling completely apart, and the sides are just as tasty. the vinegar profile is what sets it apart from any bbq i’ve had prior. service is a little slow maybe but would you want food made with love to be treated otherwise? absolutely can’t wait to return and try everything else!! the blueberry cornbread was just a cherry on top!

I was really excited to visit this place as it was noted that the owners are from the same family who owned the original Royal Rib House at Halsey St. And Throop Ave. The original Royal Rib was the first place I had BBQ Rib in 1977 and was my go-to spot in the late 70's and 80's. Walked in during the afternoon, there were 3 people a head of me. Young lady taking orders was polite and friendly. Order a large bbq ribs, large side of potatoe salad, and large side of candid yams. Waited 40 minutes to receive my order. The bbq sauce, although it was good, was not quite the same as the original. The ribs were acceptable but were not very tender. The sides were slightly above average but enjoyable. My wife thought the potatoe salad was a little sweet. The price point was a bit high but not unreasonable. Overall, I would visit here again (order ahead) for pickup.

I moved to Long Island two years ago. Today ( 6/4/25)I went back home to see my great niece off to her prom. I decided to get Royal Rib House which I have not had in two years. I had a rib dinner with Mac and cheese and greens. I also brought a side order of chopped barbecue. I ordered through Uber Eats. The ribs were decent not like I had before. The greens were okay and so was the barbecue. The Mac and Cheese was disgusting. It was burnt and cradled. Sometimes when a batch comes out subpar, you just have to toss and start over again. How could they serve anyone this Mac and cheese.? Sooooo disappointing. I always rave about Royal Rib House. I requested a refund from Uber Eats.
Vivian W — Google review
I've passed by this place for years, and finally decided to order fried chicken. Unfortunately, it tasted like old oil, and I’m pretty sure they cooked it in cheap, trashy oil. The chicken was dry and salty, and the ribs were just okay. I did enjoy the BBQ sauce, though it has a nice tang. The mac and cheese was terrible; the cheese was congealed rather than melted, and the noodles were overcooked. The collard greens were good, but pairing them with the tangy ribs was a bit overwhelming. The cornbread was nasty I won’t be ordering from here again. I think the BBQ sauce works best on chicken, not ribs, which I believe should have a smoky flavor. The ribs fell off the bone easily, which isn’t impressive since that’s pretty standard. I spent $45 on Uber rides and wasted my time and money. The person who made the mac and cheese clearly doesn’t understand the science of good cheese you need a funky cheese, a melting cheese, and a flavorful cheese. Instead, it was just congealed cheese on overcooked noodles. Overall, takeout here is disappointing, and I prefer cooking my own meals to avoid this kind of trash.

I've been going to royal rib going back to the original location and have always loved their food. I went there today after running errands in downtown Brooklyn. I arrived just as they were opening. Unfortunately, I still spent an hour in there waiting for my food. The server only thought to let me know the hold up after I was there 45 minutes. I always put on my patient hat when I go there because I expect the best food so i dont mind waiting too much. After getting back home to New Jersey to eat I found the mac cheese to be mushy and the potato salad to be too sweet and runny. The ribs were good and so was the chopped BBQ sandwich and greens. I was extremely disappointed overall. I will not be going back anytime soon and will only buy ribs and chopped BBQ when and if I do return. I spent entirely too much time and money to be so disappointed. I suggest that they make sure all items on the menu are done before opening or at least let customers know immediately what is not ready so better choices can be made. I hope someone at the restaurant reads this and makes the appropriate changes.

The staff is amazing, attentive and very hospitable. Kept me informed of my order status, which was very nice because a lot of places you go to your just standing around waiting with no clue on the status of your order. Also, the person who took my order ensured line by line that every item ordered was packed in the Togo bag before leaving the store. A lot of times you leave a place all to find out they forgot a portion of your order. But not here, and that made me happy also knowing I had a big order. Placed a nice size order for my family including 2-Fried chicken platter w/ Mac & Collards 1 - BBQ chicken platter 1 - BBQ rib platter 1 - Chopped BBQ sandwich And peach cobbler. All the food was amazing, well seasoned and that chicken when you crack open that container lawd! From the heavens. The corn bread was also A1 moist sweetened and perfectly cooked. Will definitely visit again, a southern comfort staple.

Hill Country Barbecue Market is a rustic-chic eatery in Texas that offers Southern-style cooking, including exemplary fried chicken and barbecue dishes. The cafeteria-style setup allows guests to feast their eyes on cast-iron skillets of chicken and various sides like creamy mashed potatoes and pimento macaroni and cheese. The menu also features more than 12 assortments of pie, baked in-house, as well as an array of beverages.
Holy moly! Best brisket sandwich I’ve ever had. Lit up every single neuron in my brain. Onions are nice and sweet the bun brings it together with a nice texture (pickles also add a good crunch) AND THE MEAT. No diddy, so tender! Tears apart at suggestion. Shout out to great service from Joby.

Hill Country brings a big slice of Texas right into the heart of Manhattan. The moment you step in, you’re surrounded by wood-paneled walls, long communal tables, and neon signs pointing you toward live music and the bar downstairs—it’s a whole immersive vibe. The ordering system feels like a fun cafeteria-meets-barbecue market hybrid: you get in line by the giant chalkboard that says “LINE STARTS HERE,” pick your meats and sides from the counter, and carry everything to your table. It’s casual and lively, with a solid drink selection (including Mexican Cokes in ice bins and a well-stocked liquor bar). I had the brisket sandwich with cucumber salad. The brisket was super tender and generously portioned, though personally it leaned a little too smoky for my taste. The cucumber salad was crisp and refreshing—a great contrast to the heaviness of the meat. The upstairs space is warm and bustling, while the downstairs offers a darker, honky-tonk lounge feel with a stage for live music. This place would be great for a big group dinner or a night out with friends looking for good BBQ and a fun, unpretentious atmosphere.

This place is a quick, laid-back, cafeteria-style spot to grab some delicious Texan barbecue. We ordered some lean brisket, sausage, sweet mashed potatoes, and Mac and cheese, all of which arrived in a matter of minutes. The atmosphere is loud, rowdy, and distinctly Texan. After we ordered, there was a strange hiccup—there were no utensils available. After we finally received our silverware, we dived into our food, hopeful it would be worth the effort. However, the food itself did not fully meet our expectations. The sausage was quite spicy, but still buttery and juicy. The brisket, however, was not as great. It was somewhat dry, and lacked sufficient flavor. The sweet mashed potatoes were probably the best thing—they were sweet and nutty, yet perfectly creamy. The Mac and cheese wasn’t mind blowing, but there wasn’t anything necessarily wrong with it. Overall, this place is a nice place to grab some Texan barbecue—if you don’t mind a couple problems on the way.

I just came across this restaurant on Sunday while walking from the train station & decided to stop in for lunch. I sat at the bar. (even though I decided not to have any alcohol that day) They had a large selection of whiskey & bourbon in the area of the bar I was sitting. It looked as though they make a ton of margaritas since they had slushy machines behind the bar. I ordered the dry aged brisket burger which came with fries & since they had bourbon mashed sweet potatoes on the menu I had to try that. I should have read the menu more carefully. I thought since it said dry aged that the burger would be one solid piece of brisket. However it’s a blend & was an actual chopped meat style burger. I wasn’t asked how I would like it prepared so it was a little rarer than I’m used to. When my waitress asked me how everything was I mentioned that in casual conversation & to my surprise I wasn’t charged for the bourbon sweet potatoes. (Totally wasn’t expecting that) They have several dinning areas on two floors. Ranging from small tables & bar seating on the ground floor to large picnic tables & bar seating downstairs where there was a stage set up for live music. Most likely for the dinner crowd. There were a few other dishes on the menu I’d like to try & since the customer service was good I’ll stop by the next time I’m in the area.

Missing home, craving that good ol texas bbq so I had to come here and see what the deal is. Honestly, I enjoyed it! Hill Country does a solid job. I got the lunch special which gets you a sandwich, a side, and a drink. For the sandwich I went with the Sliced Brisket. It was tender, cooked and seasoned well, had a nice thick bark to it that I really loved. Onions and pickles were good. I thought the BBQ sauce was fine, it was dispensed from a bottle at the table but I wish it was provided warm instead. That usually is a game changer for BBQ sauce! For the side I got the Mac and Cheese which was great. No downsides here! I also tried the Buffalo Cauliflower which was kinda a miss to me. Like the cauliflower was good but there wasnt much buffalo flavor, the sauce itself was very liquidy / watery, not like a thick buffalo sauce you expect. I am really sad about the sweet tea though, I was so looking forward to getting that authentic southern sweet tea but the one here was sour? May have been a bad batch but I had to just get a diet coke instead. The vibe and decor inside was straight out of Texas though, I loved it!

The place looks good and the food tastes good as well. However I wouldn't call it excellent neither mediocre, somewhere in the middle. The prices were too expensive for what you actually get, the platter for two people can be eaten by one big guy. Not value for money at all. You don't really get any service either as it's cafeteria style where you pick up everything yourself. Will not visit again unless I need a very quick meal, because it was extremely quick.

This. Place. Was. Soooooo. Good!! I never get BBQ food because I underestimate places but for my book club, we chose to go here because it related to one of the characters. I was first taken aback by having to order the food at the counter and bring it to your table. It was giving cafeteria vibes. However, once I had the food, I I forgot all about that. I got the two meats and two sides. My two meats were pulled pork and the moist brisket. The pulled pork. It was nice juicy and flavorful. It wasn't saucy, which was my only complaint. The brisket was so tender, so moist l, and so flavorful. My two sides were the mac & cheese and the baked beans. The mac & cheese was cheesy and delicious. The baked beans were not too sweet and complemented everything. To add it, had brisket inside of it. The meal also came with too many cornbread, which were a little bit dry and I didn't love the butter that it came with, but it still did what it needed to do. I highly recommend coming here. I can't wait to go back!

Came here for lunch and ate the pulled pork sandwich. It was really satisfying. The coleslaw was also great. The vibe in here feels like a different world. If I didn’t know any better I would think I’m down south.

Blue Smoke, a barbecue joint by Danny Meyer, offers a spacious setting and an extensive beer and bourbon selection. After the closure of its Flatiron outpost due to the pandemic, the Battery Park location continues to serve New York and southern-inspired barbecue dishes. The menu features cherry-smoked Backyard Barbecue Chicken, pepper-rubbed Texas Beef Brisket, New Orleans Shrimp & Grits, and Bucket of Fried Chicken along with sides like Deviled Eggs and Creamy Coleslaw.
The beef rib and pastrami spare ribs are amazing. The Mac n Cheese is so creamy and worth a try too. Staff are extremely helpful and friendly and made the whole dining experience a wondering one. Tried the ribs platter and it could easily feed 3 people. Would definitely be back again the next time I’m in New York.

I came here after visiting the 911 memorial. It’s around the corner. The staff were lovely and when my server was about to leave the new server came & introduced herself. We don’t get customer service like this in the UK. - thanks guys! The food was delivered quickly and was quite tasty. The only negative was that the chicken breast was a little dry. The leg bit was delicious but the breast- needs a bit of work. The rest of the meal was pleasant. Staff are lovely & I would definitely return to this establishment. I also had a delicious cocktail but I forgot to take a pic

This restaurant is amazing! My boyfriend and I are on the quest to find the best BBQ in NYC. He grew up in the South and has fairly strong opinions when it comes to BBQ. Two of my colleagues recommended this place when I told them about our quest. We started with the Alabama white wings and buttermilk chicken bites. I was dying to try the white wings after reading all the positive reviews and they did not disappoint. I ordered the ribs and my boyfriend ordered the brisket. Blue Smoke makes the best ribs and brisket I’ve tasted!! The ribs and brisket instantly fell apart. We ordered three sides to share: the mac and cheese, coleslaw (the best I’ve had), and the cornbread. The cornbread was very good. We shared the chocolate chip cookies which were baked to perfection. The customer service was excellent and our waiter gave us great recommendations. We also really enjoyed the music. Our only critique was the interior design felt very modern. We did like the southern map though. We’ll be back for the delicious food and music!

I like this place. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is very pleasant. My favorite on the menu is the Alabama wings. They have happy hour where you can enjoy delicious and refreshing drinks and cocktails. They have a varied menu, the restaurant is nice and the service is good.

We were staying near by and stopped by here for a quick brunch. It’s a very spacious venue and definitely good for a big group or even with strollers. The menu is simply bbq and everything we had there was great. Though my absolute favorite was actually beignet. It was really well done and I would go back just for that too. Corn bread is also very moist and might have been the best I’ve ever had.

The food was fantastic! The Alabama White wings appetizers were amazing. They had so much flavor it was addictive. The Memphis Baby Back Ribs were mouth watering and falling off the bones. The Beef Brisket and Pulled Pork Slidders were great as well. They were full of flavor, juicy and filling. The Mac and Cheese was a perfect combination with the Ribs. Our drinks were spot on to wash down our tasty meals. We couldn't leave without dessert. The Chocalate cookies were warm and chewy and just melted in your mouth. Our waitress was top notch on the service and gave good recommendations for our meal. The atmoshere was open, inviting and kid friendly. You could enjoy your meal inside or outside dining. A great place to have a date night or a family outting. My wife and I really enjoyed our meal at Blue Smoke. We will definitely be returning.

By far the best dining experience I have had thus far in the city!! The food was beyond exceptional, staff was friendly, attentive, and courteous. The chicken sandwich was full of flavor, had a slight kick to it, and was very juicy. The corn bread was crispy around the edges, moist inside, with the right mix of salty amd sweet. Lastly, the chocolate cupcake was rich, moist, and icing was not overly sweet and was the perfect amount of chocolate on top. Definite must go if in the city and looking for great food and service.

WOW. This restaurant with transport you to the heart of Austin, in the best way possible. The food was spectacular and I truly do not think I have ever tasted more delicious shrimp than from here. The live music was what drew us into this place and we were beyond happy it did. The atmosphere and food were simply amazing. This place is definitely a gem💎

I came for dinner with my mother and we had Jenifer. She was super super sweet and made sure we had everything we needed. She checked up on us a perfect amount of times. I really enjoyed my visit. Also played good music. The food was amazing and it was nice and quiet for a bar! Huge portions so make sure you're hungry!! My mom and I shared the bbq chicken salad and the sausage pretzel and had left overs still! It was so yummy will definitely be coming back.

This was the second time I've ate here, and just like the first time, everything was amazing. The staff was quick and attentive. The food was amazing. We have been wanting to try this restaurant for a while, so yesterday we finally did, and we can’t wait to go back. The pulled pork was so tasty, and so was the burger one of my sons ordered. The onion rings, pulled chicken, shrimp and appetizers were perfect too. The service was spectacular.

Amazing food. Best ribs I've personally ever had. Also got me to like fried pickles, and I previously hated fried pickles. Loved the desserts as well!

I paid $1.95 for this peewee piece of cornbread. I was honestly confused because it was in a meal and not as a side so I wasn’t even sure if it was the side I ordered because it was so small. I didn’t receive my extra sauce as requested and my apple pie arrived destroyed. I’m not happy that I paid $100 for food (2 veggie burgers, 1 pulled pork and 1 apple pie) that I don’t see myself returning to try again, anytime soon.
B ( — Google review
The worst experience ever and terrible quality! First, the order arrived missing an item but it was checked off on the receipt stapled to the bag. Foolishly, we requested the food be resent before even opening the other boxes, unaware of the horror awaiting. The mac & cheese was gritty and not even cheesy, we found a hair in one of the containers and each container had a strange odor. The ribs were tough and didn't fall off the bone, definitely undercooked! The Pulled pork Tray arrived cold and undercooked, it was chewy. The sausage they use seems to be pretty low quality, not terrible but nothing special. The portions were terribly small, the cornbread was stale, and everything just wasn't up to par — i wouldn’t even feed this food to my dog! I’ve had better cornbread from the grocery store. The price for this food is absolutely ridiculous considering the terrible quality. Unfortunately we had the throw away majority of the food so it truly was a waste of money. Would never order from this place ever again, very disappointing.

With its striking limestone exterior and multi-level layout, the restaurant provides ample privacy for intimate dinners or lively gatherings alike. The atmosphere is enhanced by a well-stocked bar and live entertainment, making it an ideal spot for couples looking to enjoy a romantic evening out.
Great service and food. A bit pricey but you can make it more affordable. Two smaller apps were enough for me and cost less than an entree. Pictured is the bang bang shrimp and the clams oreganata, both great.

Great service. We had a reservation and were seated immediately with a top floor view of the city. We had twin lobster tails, lamb chops, creamed spinach, and lobster Mac and cheese. The sides were shareable and tasty. The twin lobster tails had a delicious sauce on them along with a nice buttery dip on the side. The lamb chops had the perfect temperature and mint jelly for added flavor. All delicious.

This was our second time here, first time we celebrated my husband’s birthday and now our wedding anniversary. Food was delicious!! Staff is very pleasant from the hostess to the waitress. The atmosphere is chill and somewhat romantic depending on the occasion. Great place for a date, outing with family or catching up with friends over dinner. The porter house for 2 is perfect if you’re sharing and the truffle Mac and cheese is the best!

Highly recommend. Service was on point. A delicious surf and turf dinner. Tender filet mignon and sweet lobster. Both cooked perfectly. Grilled asparagus just right. Appetizer of steamed mussels with garlic wine sauce. Lovely dessert of apple crumb cheesecake. Specialty cocktails - don't miss! Roll me out of here. But happily!

The price is relatively high, but the portion sizes of the food are very small. In particular, the steak is just average. When you order a steak in many steak restaurants, they usually offer side dishes like broccoli or mashed potatoes. However, these are all a la carte. A single potato costs $12, and a small portion of broccoli also costs $12, and it's really tiny. The taste of the food is truly very ordinary.

Did the Sunset Special menu, which gives you an appetizer, main course & dessert from a preset menu. Ordered the mussels in spicy red sauce, as the app. The mussels were practically entry inside. The sauce was good. My wife had the mussels in white wine & here too had nothing in them. Had the short ribs w/ mash potatoes & red cabbage, it was really good. Was celebrating my father’s & brother in law’s birthday & they did these sparkling candles on the dessert & sang happy birthday. Besides the mussels everything was good. Christian was our server & he was fantastic.

We celebrated my son's high school graduation here with a party of 13 and two toddlers. The service was exceptional! The waiters were very attentive, patient, and helpful from start to finish. We had our own section of the restaurant, which was nice. The food was delicious. It arrived in a timely manner. The drinks were also great! We were able to bring our own cake, and they added a little flare to make it even more special! Nice indoor and outdoor seating.. decent size bar. Service was great and the food was great! Everything was soo good.. we had ribs wings chicken platter chicken sandwich… everything was delicious. Cocktail glasses were a bit small and light on alcohol. Otherwise a must go to place.

I came to Morgan’s during restaurant week, and I was really impressed! For $30, their prix fixe menu was totally worth it—such a great deal considering the quality. The meat was the star of the show: flavorful, tender, and cooked to perfection. The smoky depth and seasoning were spot-on, and it paired well with the sides. I loved their mac & cheese, which complemented the BBQ nicely. The atmosphere was chill, service was friendly, and the portions were generous. If you’re craving good BBQ at a solid price, this place is definitely worth checking out. I’d be back for sure!
Christopher R — Google review
I had a great time at Morgan’s BBQ! Everything was pretty solid across the board — food, drinks, and service. Our server Tim was excellent (no surprise he was “Employee of the Month”), and he made the experience even better. The buffalo wings were hands-down my favorite dish — perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. The mac & cheese was creamy and comforting, while the steak and chicken were both cooked well and satisfying. The collard greens could’ve used a bit more seasoning for my taste, but overall, the food was enjoyable. I’ve been to a lot of BBQ spots around the country, so I tried to keep my expectations neutral, but Morgan’s definitely holds its own. Drink-wise, I absolutely loved my frozen margarita — refreshing, flavorful, and perfect for the atmosphere. Speaking of the atmosphere, it was just right: lively but relaxed, with a great outdoor vibe. I enjoyed being in the mix of everything while still feeling like I had my own space. I’d definitely come back — especially for the wings and margaritas!

First and foremost, I’m happy to see that Morgans is open again. I did go yesterday for a little birthday dinner with my mom. OK so The first time I’ve been to Morgan’s before the fire they were spot on delicious now yesterday when I went, the food was good, but it was a little dry, the meat wasnt tender as I thought it should’ve been, but I’m not giving up on them. I’m gonna go back. Maybe they just had an off day But please do try.
Tisha B — Google review
I was really looking forward to trying Morgan’s Brooklyn BBQ for the first time, but unfortunately, my experience was frustrating and disappointing. I placed a simple order: 6 wings with a side of Old School Mac & Cheese. Instead of receiving what I ordered, I got two pieces of cornbread and no mac and cheese at all. This might seem like a small mistake, but for a first-time customer, it really leaves a bad impression. When you're paying for something specific — especially comfort food — it's frustrating to not get what you asked for. Attention to detail matters, and this kind of mix-up makes me hesitant to order again.

Have not been here in years but decided last night was a good night to enjoy some barbecue. Weather was perfect and we were able to grab a seat outdoors. Truly exceptional service and accommodation for a large party of 5 adults and 2 children. Both George (the owner) and Alana (I hope I spelt her name right) the server were very hospitable and kind. Will definitely have to come back and visit. Ended off the night with some of there great desserts on the house Key lime pie (my sisters and I favorite), chocolate brownie pie with ice cream and fried Oreos (the kids favorite). Thank you !

I had the glazed ribs, pork belly, and the old school mac and cheese and everything was absolutely amazing. The ribs were especially the standout, they were sooo tender and the sauce on it was a 10/10. Waiters were very nice and service was attentive and quick. I can’t wait to go back.

Albert's Mandarin Gourmet is a popular Chinese eatery that caters well to groups, boasting an unassuming and traditional ambiance. Due to its popularity, it is advised to make reservations during the dinner rush. The wait is worthwhile as the overall experience is exceptional, with delicious food and efficient service even in the midst of busyness. The "All in the Family" combo with Fried rice stands out as a favorite option, while Mongolian beef also impresses.
Came to dinner and was not expecting the amazing service and even better food. A true eat in Chinese food experience! It was the best Chinese food I have ever eaten and friendliest service ever! We meet Albert who also cooked side service for us. He ensured that our tree nut allergy niece was well taken care of and made sure that her food was tree nut safe unheard of but true he made her so happy to eat freely and safe. Michael G — Google review
First time at this well designed restaurant that has a good vibe to it. It's expensive, which I am OK with. The problem is they skimp on portions that are really small and they serve on very large plates that don't even fit the tables. It doesn't cost them more $$ to give 25% more. To compare, go to TOA in Melville, quality food, pretty good portions. We were 3, and lettuce wraps they bring, 2 of them filled with chicken. Could they have not been able to give 3 lettuce leaves and ground chicken on the side, enough for us to share. Even they skimp on bowls of rice. We are big on quality Chinese food, but this place is average. We didn't feel like driving to the Orient in Bethpage, or to O'Mandarin in Hicksville, which are our all time favorites! Will we ever go back? Maybe in a few months to see if anything changed!

Our first time here and the food is very flavorful. We order Chinatown style, scallion and garlic lobster and they both are great. The Mongolian beef is tender and very tasty. The crispy whole fish was a Seabass and it was perfectly cooked and I use only what I need for the seasoning. This way the Seabass is still crispy as we ate it in portions. Finally we ordered the crispy fried noodles with shrimp. It was good but wish there were more crispiness. Over all I enjoyed the food a lot. If you are in the area, give this place a try and order things different from Chinese take out menu.

Izzy's Brooklyn Smokehouse is a kosher barbecue joint that has gained popularity among both kosher and non-kosher diners. The restaurant, which received recognition in the 2016 NYC Brisket King competition, offers a variety of smoked meats served by the pound, including dinosaur ribs and brisket. The menu also features sides like tangy red slaw, pickles, and candied sweet potato.
Absolutely Outstanding BBQ Experience! I had lunch today at Izzy’s Smokehouse, and it was nothing short of phenomenal. We ordered a spread that included the brisket, pulled beef, burger, and chicken, and every single item was cooked to perfection. The brisket was melt-in-your-mouth tender with just the right amount of smoky flavor. The pulled beef was rich, juicy, and packed with flavor — easily one of the best I’ve had anywhere. The burger was perfectly cooked, incredibly juicy, and bursting with bold, smoky notes that made every bite unforgettable. Even the chicken, which can sometimes be tricky at BBQ spots, was juicy, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. On top of the incredible food, the service was attentive and friendly, making the whole experience even better. The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting — the perfect spot for lunch, whether you’re a BBQ enthusiast or just looking for an amazing meal. I highly recommend Izzy’s Smokehouse to anyone looking for top-notch BBQ. It’s clear they take pride in what they do, and it shows in every bite. Can’t wait to come back!

The food is good, but don't expect to receive all of it together. We are 2 persons, I received my food 20 minutes before my son. Very disappointing
Dov R — Google review
Let me start by saying I really wanted to like this place, I take no pleasure in a bad review so what I’m sharing is intended to be helpful. I ordered the sample platter which was $120 - pulled beef, brisket, burnt ends, added the Korean chicken bites, with pickles, pickled cabbage, Cole slaw and instead of mash potatoes got the candied sweet potato. Everything overall was under seasoned. The brisket was so so dry, it stuck to my teeth for how dry it was. The burnt ends, also very dry, slightly better than the brisket but not by much. The pulled beef was probably the best thing on the platter but still lacked moisture without the sauce. The coleslaw was very watery and again lacked any flavor. The Korean bites should be taken off the menu, nothing Korean about them, just fried chicken chunks that also were very dry. Crazy to say this but the $10 candied sweet potato was a joke, super watery, nothing candied about it also very small potato, to charge $10 is excessive In their restaurant they have videos of this super juicy brisket and what they served me was far far far from what was advertised. Maybe this was an off night for the kitchen as it was a Monday night though I have no intention of going back as there were just too many things wrong. Perhaps kosher bbq uses leaner meats and therefore is very dry? I’ve had a lot of BBQ and this wasn’t it.

We got the Smoked Brisket Tacos and a smoked pastrami sandwich. Both were super tasty. The meat was tender and moist. I didn’t get the name of the guy who helped us; he went above and beyond to fulfill our every wish. Keep up the good work!

One of the worst experiences that I and my father have gone through in Brooklyn, NY being a home grown man here. I have dine in some of the best kosher restaurants in Brooklyn/New York City. This by far is the worsts of any I have spent money in. I will show you what we received was nothing but fat for Lamb, as well as Pastrami. Couldn't enjoy this at all. For $107 we got fat. The money isn't the issue. It's the product. My father only eats Pastrami when he comes to town. Being we weren't able to get our usual place due to the time we decided to go to Crown Heights a place we adore. Yet we were given fat & Blood that you would give your canine. We would never by anything from this establishment.

Highly recommend all the meat. We ordered the lamb ribs, burned ends, wings, and pastrami. Every entree comes with pickles and red cabbage. Everything was ready in ten minutes. It was all licking my fingers delicious!! The best in my opinion was the lamb ribs. Interesting options for local beer. I added a photo of what i got, it had a tropical flavor that i enjoyed greatly. The place is small, only 4 tables (seats 18) and a few outdoor as well. We came at 4:30 and by 5 the line was almost out the door and no seating available. Definitely go early if you want to sit down. Husbands favorite was the pastrami, which came with a horseradish mayo and mustard! We definitely will eat here again! Great food!

The pastrami sandwich is good, but I really miss the burrito that used to be on the menu. Last stop I got the lamb barbacoa taco. It was disappointing. The lamb was fine, but it was all I tasted. And it was a single giant taco, that was awkward and difficult to eat without making a mess. It should have been a burrito. I was sitting at the bar and the bartender took my plate but never asked if I wanted anything else or brought my check. I'm starting to wonder if it has new ownership. It seems to have really gone downhill recently.

Food was good but service was horrendous. We ordered drinks that never came. The server was no where to be found. Every table around us was returning food because the orders were all wrong. Servers seemed clueless and had no idea what table ordered what food. Kitchen staff was the only ones that seemed to have it together. Such a shame since the food was good but the service made me not want to come back here again. They need to get their servers more organized. Then they charged us for the drinks we never got. Told the server he needed to remove them, he look confused and then got his manager to take care of it. She came back, apologized for the mistakes. He never came back to apologize even once. Server’s name was Eric D.

Watch out for bees if you sitting outside side. Other than that food is amazing and nice spot to eat with a good view of the town.

Tasty BBQ & sides. We stopped in here at a busy time during Euro 2024, so there were a lot of people yelling at the TV creating a very energetic atmosphere & tough for employees to maneuver around people standing in the way.

Mighty Quinn's Barbeque is a modern counter-serve eatery that offers a menu of BBQ classics, pommes frites, and beer. Located in Garden City, it is the newest branch of the renowned Mighty Quinn's in New York City. The restaurant follows the original recipe meticulously, offering St. Louis ribs with a proprietary dry rub and Flintstone-ian brontosaurus rib smoked for 14 hours.
The store is cool, the music is good vibe. The Chikpolesos Chicken Rice bowl was a bit spicy, so my son ordered Turkey. You can choose from the 12.95 dollar bowl at lunchtime, two protein, two side, and two pickles. It is close to the fence station, so it is convenient to go on a train after lunch. The restaurant was really cool.

Mighty Quinn’s Barbeque is a celebrated name in the world of smoked meats, blending the tradition of authentic, slow-cooked barbecue with a modern, casual dining experience. Founded by pitmaster Hugh Mangum, the restaurant began as a hit at Brooklyn’s Smorgasburg food market and quickly gained a devoted following, eventually expanding to multiple locations across New York and beyond. The heart of Mighty Quinn’s appeal lies in its commitment to quality and simplicity. Meats are seasoned minimally, allowing the natural flavors and the signature wood-smoked aroma to shine. The brisket is a standout—perfectly marbled, tender, and rich, with a flavorful bark that needs no sauce to impress. The massive “Brontosaurus Rib” is a showstopper, slow-cooked until the meat practically melts off the bone, while the pulled pork offers a perfect balance of smokiness and juiciness. Beyond the main cuts, sides such as burnt-end baked beans, pickled vegetables, and creamy coleslaw complement the meats beautifully, adding freshness and variety to the plate. The casual, industrial-chic interiors, featuring reclaimed wood and bright, open spaces, make it a comfortable spot for both quick lunches and laid-back dinners. Mighty Quinn’s has built a reputation not just for great barbecue, but for consistency, speed, and friendly service. For anyone seeking a satisfying, flavorful barbecue experience that captures both the art of traditional smoking and the ease of modern dining, Mighty Quinn’s Barbeque remains a top contender.

Stopped by this place while walking in the city and was very surprised at the quality of the food. Love that you can order by yourself on a screen, there wasn’t a lot of people in the restaurant but it took a long time to get our order (staff talking with each other without really acknowledging the customers waiting). Food was very tasty but a bit cold. Tried the Mac and cheese & the honey chicken sandwich, would recommend ! The pull pork sandwich was apparently very flavourful as well! Would definitely come back !

Love this spot! Found it walking around in Times Square. I’m always impressed every time with the inviting atmosphere it provides. After walking for long periods of time, this spot has provided so much relief. With relief in the space, even more so with the food. It was absolutely the best bbq i’ve ever tasted. There are so many options to choose from the meat and sides, with the broccoli salad being my fav. The staff is always making sure we are taken care of to our fullest satisfaction. 12/10 recommend. Consider this place in times square! 🍗🥩🏙️

I used to visit this place when it was on 2nd Avenue/6th St. and it seemed to be a better atmosphere and the food was fantastic. This time when I went to 39th St. I was disappointed with the place and decided to take out instead. I also thought the brisket was so salty and I came all the way to this place just to have this once again. The prices were also a bit high. I might give them another try but for lunch and try something else.

I got the food from Too good to go. I got $9.99 Big Surprise Bag. The first employee was about to give me two small sides. The second employee had to correct the frist employee. They were supposed give a lot of food. Because of the app. The food that I got (brisket rice bowl) was amazing!!! It was a good amount of food.

Traditional American restaurant
Famous Dave's Bar-B-Que is a popular BBQ chain known for its wood-smoked meats and American West-themed ambiance. Visitors rave about the outstanding juicy ribs, perfectly cooked with an exquisite taste that leaves you wanting more. The cornbread and corn on the cob are also highly praised as perfect complements to the ribs. However, some have found certain dishes like the Texas Beef Brisket Sandwich to be disappointing in terms of flavor and presentation.
Went for the 2 Meat Combo for Lunch. Corn bread still good, chicken is crispy, and surprisingly not crowded. Place is clean and food is good. Staff is friendly and had a satisfied time eating.
Jarsblaze13 — Google review
We liked this place, and would recommend as a BBQ place, managing expectations as a chain. The 4 of us were seated right away Sunday 130p, we chose the full service. (You can order at the counter and sit in a different area, or take out). 2 of us did the lunch special which is nice to have on the menu, but found it average. We also ordered a full rack of baby back and then St Louis ribs, and they were very good. Mac n cheese was surprisingly good with the peppers, and the banana pudding was sweet and good. Food came quick, we'd come back. Enjoy!
Connie K — Google review
Food is great, but service is lacking. The bar is always incredibly slow, even when the restaurant was empty. You're better off ordering your drink at the bar so the bartender has to look you in the eye while they don't make your drink 🥲 Father's Day was packed and they did not have corn bread for at least an hour
Azelia N — Google review
We stopped by during the weekday for lunch and it was not crowded so we were seated right away. Lisa waited on us and she was friendly and fantastic. Food was absolutely delicious and having various BBQ sauces available at each table was great! Recommend the pulled pork sandwich - it's super juicy and tender. The fries were nice and crispy outside and soft inside.

The staff here are SO KIND, some southern hospitality must've moved up north, haha! The staff remained warm & kind hearted when handling the minor mistake in my order, and even offered me a complimentary dessert. The food here is delicious, especially the sauce, but the desert is even better!!
Lydia-Joy K — Google review
I am giving three stars because the food was on time and the delivery guy was great! The food however was disappointing. I ordered catering for a party of 10. I was very disappointed in the quality of the food. Mac and cheese was soupy, the noodles were soft and I have no idea what that cheese sauce was made of and the pan was half full. They were skimpy on the wingettes, I would say each person got like two wingettes. The "pulled chicken" was pretty much chopped chicken chunks with a mediocre bbq sauce on it. The ribs were the best part, a good amount and tasty! The rolls were stale. Needless to say won't order from them again.
Esther G — Google review
This was my first time at Famous Dave’s in Westbury and it was great. The food was delicious and definitely the highlight of the experience. The way they do service is a little different and kind of confusing at first, but I actually liked it. You order and pay at the counter, then the food gets brought to you. It was nice not having full table service and avoiding the pressure of a big expected tip. It did take a little while for the food to come out, but once it did, it was fantastic. Based on the food alone, I will definitely go again.
Kevin — Google review
Standard fast food BBQ food. Don't expect too much. The food way pretty okay! The wings with the Korean Sweet Heat sauce was definitely the highlight of the night as the sauce was soo tasty! The 3-meat combo was a great way to sample different meats. All the meats I tried - jalapeño cheddar sausage, brisket and chopped pork - were just okay. Everything, including the sides, just tasted slightly underseasoned and dry with the BBQ sauces not having enough of a punch to help too much. Nothing was outright bad, just okay. I would have expected more from "famous" Dave's... not really sure what he's famous for because it ain't the barbeque 🤣 The staff was attentive and the space was comfortable for a nice family dinner. Overall, I may come back for those sweet heat Korean wings and a cocktail for happy hour! I'm willing to give them another chance but also am on the look out for other barbeque restaurants!

Smokin' Al's in Massapequa Park is a casual spot known for its Southern and Kansas City-style slow-smoked BBQ, accompanied by flavorful sides. The owner, Smokin' Al, takes pride in the lengthy cooking process of their meats, with ribs taking up to seven hours and brisket and pork taking around 12 to 13 hours. Having traveled extensively to perfect their barbecue recipes and sauces, the restaurant offers an array of succulent dishes along with gluten-free options.
The ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender and the barbecue pulled chicken was juicy and perfectly seasoned. The sides were just as good, baked beans, collard greens, crispy french fries and cornbread with a little touch of sweetness. Enjoyed the fried cheesecake for dessert. Great food, friendly staff, and a cozy atmosphere.

Very friendly and helpful staff. I really liked the chili dip appetizer; it had a good amount of meat and I can't complain about the cheese on top. Sweet potato fries and the garlic mash potatoes were absolutely delicious sides. I enjoyed the brisket and pulled pork, but the ribs were very disappointing as they were tough and the seasoning didn't penetrate very deep.
Andy L — Google review
Just took my husband here to celebrate his birthday and it was a resounding success. We were a party of 15 and everyone enjoyed their food. The burnt endz and fried pickle apps were a hit. The cornbread had a nice tender crumb and wasn't too sweet. We weren't fans of the mac n cheese but the beans, garlic mash, coleslaw were favorites. The ribs were cleaned off my husband's plate. The serving sizes were massive. None of us could finish lol. The only sour spot was that my mom in law burger was well done instead of medium, so she didn't really enjoy it. The sweet bbqc sauce was so amazing, one of us ordered a bottle. Taylor our waitress was attentive and took care of our every request. Would definitely come back here 100 percent.

We have been going to this place for years, yesterday was the second visit this month. This was the first ever bad experience, but the way it was handled was poor! We Ordered pulled chicken and a sliced brisket. My mother in laws brisket was tough with bits of something hard in she picked from her teeth, she ate two slices max. My chicken tasted bland and unseasoned and the sauce tasted sour and just looked weird. It was inedible and the taste actually put us off. We didn’t even touch the sides. Between us we didn’t eat even eat a tablespoon of my meal and sent it back. Asked for the cheque. After almost ten minutes the girl came back, told us the manager tried it and “said it was fine, maybe we got a bad batch” so clearly didn’t try what we did. Took 50% off the bill to apologise. We paid it and left - and wish we hadn’t! Why were we charged for disgusting inedible food? the sauce was clearly off - it looks like it has split!

WHAT did I just eat. Happened to be in the area and found this spot on google maps. I had absolutely delicious stuffed Turkey and classic thanksgiving sides… all in early April. Where else can you find that?! I am thrilled to find this place and will definitely be back and bring loved ones here. Super kind team, and gracious experience from beginning to end. The staff behind the counter were so attentive and generous! Menu was expansive and so interesting. The spread reminded me of Texas thanksgivings. Everything looked and sounded so good. Seating was comfortable and laid back. THANK YOU!!!

Stay with me here - I have always been a fan of Boston market, growing up right outside of Boston it was a staple in my childhood. I would take the little containers outside and play with them and serve mud slop, but McDonald’s bought it and it went up in flames. I wouldn’t eat it if u paid me. But it left me with a mashed potato and gravy size hole in my heart. Enter, stage left: Zorn’s of bethpage to sweep me off my feet. The mashed potato’s, heavenly. The Mac and cheese??? How do you get the noodles so perfectly cooked while pumping it out to the masses. The chicken tenders… speechless, best ever I’ve ever had. Dip the tenders in gravy, you’ll thank me later. (Gravy is my favorite food) The service?? Terry was perfect. My friend has a shellfish allergy and when Terry said “absolutely not” about the frying oil being the same for shrimp and chicken she knew she was in good hands. He held our hands through the experience and dropped us off with love and the pickup counter when our food was done. I have no clue how I found this place but it will always be a stop if I’m on Long Island now. I don’t need Boston market anymore, I do need Zorn’s.

I love going here for a delicious southern style chicken meal. It's some of the most fresh fried chicken you can get in New York and a large assortment of homestyle sides that compliment the chicken kindly. Not only do you get your delicious lunch or dinner but you get a small food market shop to look for snacks, and desserts! There is a small dining area if you choose to meet in as well. All the staff here are happy and friendly and make the experience wonderful!

Zorns is if Boston Market had a premium version that is just all around better in every aspect with even more offerings. The chicken is fantastic, the bbq sauce they use is my absolute favorite. You have to top off your meal with a piece of their pie it is fantastic.

Amazing as usual. I have been going here since they had live animals and occupied the adjacent property, where Honda is now. Food is always amazing. I order fresh made chicken and wait for it, it's def. Worth the wait. I'm addicted to the ribs, the Mac and cheese is delish.

Zorns is great, we've been going here since we were kids. The sesame chicken strips were our go-to meal for years but really everything is so good here. We ordered sesame chicken strips but they came without any sesame seeds, I guess things have changed. The shoppe is still very cute and lots of sides to choose from. Generous portions. Ordered roasted chicken, chicken cordon Bleu and chicken strips to share. So many sides and all were delicious. Didn't get a chance to snap pics of the meals
Debra J — Google review
First time trying this place, came here on a Sunday . The chicken tenders were amazing but the actual fried chicken was ok . The sides of mac and cheese , mashed potatoes with gravy and creamed spinach were good . The corn bread was really good and moist . I would probably just get chicken tenders next time they were really good we liked it better then the fried chicken. Fried chicken was cooked a little to long it was bit burnt . Overall I would come back just for the tenders and the sides they were great !

The cornbread simply sucks and one of the worst considering I’ve tried cornbread at almost everywhere now. Customers have praised the friendly service from waiters like Nick and Brady, who provided excellent recommendations from the menu. The portions are generous, ensuring good value for money.
Such a great place that we found by chance, my wife and I were traveling from Pennsylvania to car shop in New York, and on the way home we were trying to find a local restaurant, not a corporate chain to go to for dinner. She located this place and we decided to go, and she chose well. The atmosphere made me think of going into a cozy log cabin, the mood lights were perfect, the staff is always making sure everything is okay, and the food was delicious, we're very glad we found this place and we would certainly come here again if we're in the area. The food that is pictured, macaroni and cheese with pulled pork on top, and of course the other is a pulled pork sandwich on a toasted bun with what I believe was pickled cabbage, and sweet yams. Dinner was also served with bread and cornbread.

First time there. I would go back again. Went for a friend's birthday. The wait time was all of 5 minutes. Our waiter was really nice(nick). We started off with fried calamari, an apple martini, and a fuzzy leprechaun drink. The portion was a good amount. Now, for the main dish, I ordered the shrimp scampi and riblets with yams and collared greens . The greens were okay, a little spicy, and had a little too much vinegar. But overall, it's not bad. Again, nice size portion of food for the money

We arrived for dinner on a Friday evening, greeted at the podium by a very friendly hostess and escorted to our table with menus. Our server, also friendly, arrived quickly with a bread basket, and was helpful with the dinner specials. I ordered the Shrimp and Riblets, my husband ordered the chicken Cordon Bleu, with a half rack of ribs, both came with salad. My shrimp had a crab meat stuffing and were a nice size, very good. They were served over rice, which unfortunately, was cold. The riblets were cold as well. My husband enjoyed the chicken and ribs very much. Good overall experience. We've been here before, and will return.

Noticed their Happy Hour menu - from 3-6pm weekends/3-7pm weekdays. Just a short list of food items $5-8; but can be changed up by picking different sauces. I like the spicy chile lime, and bbq flavors for the wings. The chicken sandwich was a good-size, with pickles only. Had brisket fries which has shredded meat (no chile sauce preferred); and mac n cheese fritters for our sides. We got a fruity Tropical Thunder cocktail $9 and beer $5@. HH orders can be made at the bar or by table service. Service was very friendly and attentive. Bec it's been hot out, indoor seating for us but outdoors area has been open. Restroom available.

I’ve been coming here regularly for the past three months, and there are a few reasons why. First off, you can’t beat the all-day happy hour on Sundays—it’s one of the best deals in Forest Hills. If you’re a sports fan, the view of the TVs is fantastic. The food is great, and the drinks are excellent for the price. The second reason I keep coming back is one word: SHANE. He’s phenomenal and brings unmatched energy. He makes it look effortless, but trust me—it’s not. His genuine warmth, passion for hospitality, and talent for making sure people are having a good time are unmatched. Shane always goes above and beyond and knows exactly how to read a room. Mighty Quinn’s, welcome to Forest Hills! Keep doing what you’re doing—the community needed a staple like this. and Shane keep being you!

This was thee worst. I should have known it was going to go left it was empty at 830 pm on a Saturday on queens Blvd. The location had potential. This is the type of dining experience you need someone to explain how it all works. Positive, the first young man was helpful and told us you don’t get directed to sit- you order, pay and sit where you want. All the cool stuff I saw on tik tok and social media was not available. No smoked Turkey- discontinued. Only one available desert- bread pudding that was sitting out not even warm. Matter of fact all the sides were sitting under a light. By the time they put the sides in a cup it was cold by the time I sat to eat it. Cold baked beans. My brisket was sitting around, it was cold , dry and flavorless. My Brussel so were drenched in sweet sauce. My chicken was not pink but under cooked the skin tasted good though . I thought the cornbread came w the meal noticing the only other two people in the place had some. When I asked I was told you either get a drink or the cornbread (wish I would have known or been offered) I was talked to like I should know. It was my first time there. The cornbread was the best thing bit ice cold. The cornbread and my cherry sodaEveryone in there was having a bad day. I could further expound on my service and the food but I won’t . That food is bbq Boston market w bad attitudes. This was my only meal for the day and I was excited, talk about disappointment. I don’t know how it has 4+ stars.

Well my group walked in and was welcomed and seated with a mean spirited attitude by a young lady that seem more miserable then ever. Thank goodness she wasn’t our server because our server was amazing. The food came out fast but unfortunately I had to return one of my order because it was not up to normal standards. (Liquidy Wet watery Nachos 🙈) Our server was so nice. She apologized and immediately tried to rectify the situation. I ended up canceling that order but she was so kind and dealt with it in the most professional manner. The rest of our order was good. To be honest maybe I wasn’t that hungry or maybe the sun beat me up too much that morning but the food just seemed ok. I would come Back tho and that’s saying a lot. I def need to try other items off the menu with a much emptier stomach. With that said I rate this place with a : Check it out at least once Location

I always feel disappointed after I order take out from this place. When I got home and saw the sauce container was not even a 1/4 full. The brisket was very fatty and the portion was insanely small. It’s been a few years since I have ordered from this place and I can honestly say they haven’t improved at all, if anything they have made things worse and more expensive 👎

The food was insane. Highly recommend. Emily was an awesome waitress!

I have been wanting to come here for awhile and after seeing beard meats food came here it reminded me to come here. The place has a cool atmosphere and although it was in the afternoon the service was friendly and attentive. The pulled pork was perfect moist and nicely smoky in flavor and our appetizer of nachos was plentiful and very good with pieces of tender smoked beef mixed into it. Very nice neighborhood, the only knock is I couldn’t find beard’s picture on the wall of fame.

Ordered take out from the bar before the football rush came in- a sandwich, entree and a couple of sides. Took over 45 mins and the bartender was so bitchy when I asked how long after 35 mins. That aside- food was great.

Peruvian restaurant
Barbecue restaurant
Smoked Barn of Peru, located at 2932 Hempstead Turnpike in Levittown, is a barbecue joint owned by pitmaster Renzo Vargas. Renzo uses St. Louis ribs for their rich flavor and moistness due to the higher fat content compared to baby back ribs. The secret rub includes coffee from his native Peru. The restaurant has a pleasant decor and friendly staff.
This little spot is amazing. I was admittedly unfamiliar with the cuisine and had a lot of questions about the menu, but the server was extremely helpful. Both our cocktails and our meals were delicious. Flavor and spice and everything nice! The atmosphere was nice as well with more modern decor. I will be returning and would definitely recommend it.

I never went to this restaurant before, so it was a new experience. I will definitely be back! The food was amazing! It is fresh and delicious. Descriptions on the menu are helpful. Appetizers were hot out of the pan. Portions are generous, and I had enough left for lunch the next day. It helps if you speak Spanish, as most of the wait staff do not speak English. But that was a small issue, easily handled. I definitely recommend coming to Smiked Barn of Peru!

To find a restaurant that is dog friendly is 5 stars off the bat for us. We were expecting temporary patio umbrellas and plastic tables ,what a pleasant surprise to see overhead wood beams and transparent acrylic making the outdoor area beautiful, light and airy-even the artificial flowers added to the outdoor ambiance. Free roasted corn niblets and a green and red sauce arrived before we ordered. The corn was a little too dry for me and the sauces were too spicy for me. But hubby did enjoy the sauces with potatoes. We ordered: Inca cola MARACUYA SOUR PASSION FRUIT PISCO SOUR - specific to peru. Delicious. PULPO ANTICUCHERO* GRILLED OCTOPUS SEASONED IN PERUVIAN AJI PANCA SAUCE, SERVED WITH PERUVIAN GOLDEN POTATOES)- wasnt the best we’ve had. It was overly salted and not as fresh but the flavors were good. It was a large serving for an appetizer. FILETE DE PESCADO EN SALSA DE CAMARONES- fried breaded fish (bass) topped with creamy sauce and 5 shrimps. The rice that accompanied this dish was the star- fluffy, salted with a hint of oil. The creamy sauce was amazing too. Mari was a big help explaining the dishes and her recommendations were spot on. We’re looking forward to returning to Peru again.

10/10 food quality and services! Will back again for sure. What a wonderful Saturday night diner😃 live DJ is cool!

I went with a group of friends. We were sat on the back patio, which was fine because it was a nice day. The server spoke English as a second language, so I didn’t feel like my concerns about my allergies were being understood. She did have to take my dish back to redo because it arrived at the table covered in sauce, which she failed to mention when I was ordering. The food was tasty.

I’m a Peruvian and I’m always looking to support my people on our cuisine, but never again am I going back here or ordering from here. My family have been going here for years and it was great food and great atmosphere. So I tried to get my coworkers to try and we ordered food for delivery. When we got the Arroz Chaufa with beef my coworker or should I say my manager found a distinct feature that doesn’t belong on it. We found a bug in the food, naturally we were disgusted and immediately through it out because that is gross to see. STAY AWAY! Do not pass go and do not go there unless you want a nice critter to greet you

It's a genuinely great place to go. The food is good (don't miss the Ensalada Andina) and live music is absolutely worth it. Parking can be a bit tricky.

Went after work with a group of 12 coworkers. The staff was super helpful with moving tables around to accommodate a group of our size. We ordered close to 7 appetizers and drinks before entrées. Everything came out in a timely maner. All of the food and drinks were amazing and the staff was very attentive throughout the night. Will definitely consider coming back!

I passed by Juicy Lucy and decided to try it for the first time. I wasn’t sure what to get and was going to leave but the sweet lady at the counter was so welcoming and she made me try one of the juices she was making and I LOVED it. I liked it so much that I had to buy my own. The place is so refreshing to walk into. It is super clean and customer service was on point! Shout out to you, Lady! I will definitely be back for more!

I was looking for something on the healthy side for breakfast. I finally stopped in and order the peanut butter bowl. 20 dollars later I got a large bowl filled with sugar. The only natural fruit was a sliced banana. The açaí was frozen solid and sweet. There were chocolate chips mixed with coco nibs and skippy peanut butter. I had a stomach ache afterwards. For twenty dollars maybe add some strawberries, blueberries, and natural peanut butter or almond butter. I’m glad I stopped in to support a small business, but I’ll never get the peanut butter bowl again.

ahh! i wish this spot was in my neighborhood. i stumbled upon juicy lucy on a chilly evening on my way to the subway. i was easily swayed by the price of the coffee and let me tell you, it was 15/10. my drink was made to perfection and was just what i needed to get me through. there’s a little bench you can hangout on while your drink is made and other treats to purchase too. highly recommend! service was quick and friendly.

Juicy Lucy has become one of my favorite places in the East Village. I love their hospitality, cleanliness and attention to detail with every order. Everyone in there is super nice but my favorite one is Lady. She always makes the best smoothies and always makes you feel welcomed. Looking forward to my next visit!

Barbecue restaurant
Pulkies Sandwiches & Hot Dogs is a Jewish-style barbecue restaurant that opened in June 2020. It's a blend of a New York deli and an American barbecue spot, with a focus on slow-cooked turkey. Located in Brooklyn's Dekalb Market, the menu features signature dishes like BBQ Pulled Turkey, BBQ Chopped Brisket with burnt ends, and Sliced Turkey. Customers have praised the satisfying food, particularly enjoying the kale and cornbread.
Pulkies was really great! I grabbed their meat & three meal with pulled turkey (great idea!), kugel mac & cheese (also great idea!), sweet potato mash, and cucumber salad. It came with a nice hunk of cornbread, and I ended it with their cinnamon babka bread pudding. Sat at the counter with a Dr. Brown's Cel-Ray soda and chatted with the staff who were very accommodating. The turkey was a great mix of shreds and chunks, and covered in their sauce that makes you feel like you are at a thanksgiving barbecue. Loved the kugel mac so much that I'm going to try my hand at recreating it at home. Sweet potato mash was delicious with the crunchy rosemary-walnut streusel situation, and the cold cucumber salad was the perfect contrast and compliment to pull you away from the rich flavors for a minute and get you ready to dive right back in. At one point they gave me a sample of some brisket that had just finished in the kitchen. When I say that it literally melted in my mouth, it literally did - and I'm a very harsh judge of bbq living in Texas. The cinnamon babka bread pudding with bourbon toffee sauce was everything you look for in a dessert, and tasted like Cinnabon opened a Jewish bakery. I will say that my favorite item was the cornbread. It was the lightest, honey buttery-est thing I've ever eaten. Needless to say: the next time I am home again for a visit, I'll be making a stop at the Dekalb Market Hall. Well done Pulkies.

Two of us arrived 12:10 and they needed another 10 min to prepare before taking our order. We shared pulled turkey and chopped beef, with sides of coleslaw, mashed sweet potatoes, beans, kale, mac & cheese noodle kugel, carrots & onions. We agreed everything was satisfying, nothing spectacular. I thought the items they did best were the kale and cornbread. They didn't have all the sides available. I was particularly curious to try the charoset.

Great concept, weak execution. I was lured by the images of BBQ sliced turkey breast which they were unfortunately out of as well as the brisket. I ordered the “BBQ pulled turkey” with sides that were chosen for me. Had a quick convo with staff at the very empty Dekalb market and told her it was hard for me to digest dark meat. She didn’t reply but mentioned she added a sample of cheese cake. I liked the cafeteria style metal tray takeout but it leaked and I only carried the bag outside to eat. Opening it, I understand why it leaked. She didn’t strain the food thru a slotted spoon so everything was drowning in sauce. The turkey was all dark meat which wouldn’t have been bad if it had any bbq type flavor. Either smoked, brined the meat or spice or liquid smoke in sauce. None of that and they were chunks of turkey I had to cut with a plastic knife- pulled meat allows more surface area for sauce to absorb. Beans were bland, cole slaw unremarkable- not sure why it’s chopped- another issue with way they cut up the food so it doesn’t soak up dressing. The meal tasted mostly of vinegar and sugar. And with the all dark meat, my stomach hurt afterwards... so much for healthy-ish BBQ.

$16 for very minimal meal (1/2 serving). I honestly thought there's been a mistake in packaging my beef sandwich order with sides. 1 small bun with too many sauces (which is confusingly marketed as 3 sides). Wont recommend for someone looking for full meal.

We don’t live in NY anymore but we really enjoyed Pulkies when we did. We ordered it to our new home via Goldbelly and it was so delicious and easy! We recently sent Pulkies to our parents as a birthday gift. My father and his best friend (>75 year old Jewish men) said that the brisket was better than any brisket they’ve ever had. This is the highest of praise you can get. My mother could not stop raving about the cucumber salad and babka bread pudding. Because they had such a great experience we also sent it to our friends from NY who are living in Florida, they gave us the same great feedback. Pulkies has become a real crowd pleasing unique go-to gift for us to give friends and family around the country. Thanks for keeping us all so well fed!!

Finally managed to try this spot out, and the food is good. The brisket in particular was great; I was given a leaner cut, but it still had the tenderness I’d expect from a fatty one, in addition to the great flavor. However, I do believe their are issues with transparency. I was excited to try the cornbread out, but was only informed after I paid that it was not available that day. Also, I wish the pricing was visible; I was a little sticker shocked when I paid (I ordered the brisket + 3 and my gut instinct on price was $20, but no more than $22, so $26 came as a bit of a surprise). Also, the fact that I was told it’s 1 hot side and 2 cold sides was a bit of surprise; my planned order adhered to that, but I could see somebody being frustrated by being told this last minute. Otherwise, looking to try out the chopped beef soon!

This review is solely for the brisket. I ordered half a pound and paid $28. Dude, not worth it, way overpriced. Brisket was mediocre at best and a bit dry. I love brisket and left disappointed, especially since there are other great spots to eat in the market. I can’t say for anything else on the menu and the staff was nice.

Edit- second time eating here and even better than the first. Officially addicted to the pulled turkey. The sweet potato side with the turkey was heaven. I don’t often have bbq but was lured by meat and hot sides as I’m on a diet and looking for low carb options. The pulled turkey is yummy and it feels like thanksgiving. Sides are good too. Honestly the serving is big enough to eat it two times so it’s worth the price in my opinion
