Park
Gantry Plaza State Park is a 12-acre park located on four piers along the East River in Queens, New York. The park offers stunning views of Manhattan and features restored gantries. The neighborhood surrounding the park has undergone significant transformation, attracting artists and executives with its easy commute to midtown, abundant warehouse space, and low rents. Visitors can also explore nearby cultural hubs such as MoMA PS1 and the Chocolate Factory.
Beautiful park right on the water, with great views of the skyline. A perfect place for photography. There are plenty of people enjoying the space but it didn't feel crowded. Highly recommend watching the sunset across the city from here.

beautiful park with amazing views. very safe as i seen many police and park rangers. relaxing chairs. you can see many iconic building including the chrysler building and empire state. you can take a ferry as well for 4.50$. i took it to brooklyn bridge or the dumbo ferry port for even better views

A fantastic urban oasis, easily accessible by public transport and walking - we come from Astoria, Queens by taking the N train to Queensboro plaza then walking the rest of the way through lovely Long Island City that has undergone amazing improvements for the better in the last 3 decades. There’s so much to do here in the park. You can sit down to look at the river and the stunning views across the water, go for a walk along the winding paths, watch people play beach volleyball or kids running around, laugh at the many dogs having a field day, take a ferry or have a picnic… the choice of having a beautifully peaceful time is yours!
Alla B — Google review
This park is incredibly peaceful and offers plenty of things to do. There’s a playground for kids, a dog park, and sand volleyball courts—perfect for playing year-round, though especially fun in the summer. It’s also a very popular route for runners, and I can see why—it’s spacious, clean, and relaxing. From my point of view, it has some of the best views of the Manhattan skyline. The sunsets here are absolutely stunning and worth staying for. A perfect place to unwind, exercise, or just enjoy the scenery.
Diego T — Google review
Much of the crowd is by northern end. The bottom half of the park is largely empty, but still fairly nice. The pathways and park is very well maintained with many exploring the riverside scenery. The view from the Hunter point library is quite spectacular.
Andrew L — Google review
The park is on the river bank, and you have the skyline of New York City in front of you. You can appreciate some history of the city when seeing the heavy unloading machinery on the edge of the bank. Food festival is another attraction. Very nice casual place inside a busy, crowded urban city.
Zhong S — Google review
A beautiful, lovely park. Visiting Gantry Plaza park felt healing as the place was significantly less crowded than the ones in Manhattan. It was also a plus that the park offered some awestruck view of the skylines. It’s a must-see place to visit when the weather’s nice.
Ben P — Google review
This park is a must visit if you’re a native New Yorker or visiting. This is the top location for city and sunset views NYC. The park and waterfront has been finished beautifully and is always kept clean and smell free. The park also covers about half a mile of Long Island city’s gorgeous waterfront.

City park
Brooklyn Bridge Park is a must-visit urban oasis in New York City. It offers shaded picnic tables, hibachi-style BBQ grills, and stunning views of the river. The park is part of the iconic Brooklyn Bridge walk, which provides some of the best views and photo spots in the city. Walking through Brooklyn Bridge Park and DUMBO allows visitors to enjoy unobstructed views of the skyline and both the Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges.
Brooklyn Bridge Park is one of those places that makes you stop and appreciate the city from a whole new angle. The views are incredible—looking out at the skyline, the Statue of Liberty, and of course the Brooklyn Bridge itself feels almost surreal. The park is beautifully designed, with plenty of spots to relax, walk, or just take it all in. It’s also easy to get around, with clear paths and different sections that each have their own charm. Whether you’re there for a stroll, photos, or just to sit and watch the world go by, it never disappoints. More than just a park, it feels like a front-row seat to New York’s magic. Definitely a must-visit.
Nick S — Google review
If you are in Downtown Brooklyn visit DUMBO. You will enjoy the beautiful cobblestone and Brooklyn Bridge picturesque view. The water view is gorgeous. There are eateries and food trucks that are pretty good. Merry go around for children there is a fee. Diverse and eclectic neighborhood. Great place for romantic walks, family, and friends. Ideal place to take awesome pictures 📸 Parking is scare best to take train or bus. Pet friendly
NUBIAN A — Google review
Adorable spot to watch a sunset and let your kids play in the park. You are close to everything but feel removed from the hustle and bustle. It's beautifully landscaped too.
Andra L — Google review
Perfect view of the Manhattan skyline. Perfect for photographers, lovers and tourists. On a clear day, anyone can take great photos of the river, the skyline and the bridge itself. There is seating and a few food vendors. And you get an up-close view of the ferry as it launches and lands right next door.
Originique M — Google review
Brooklyn Bridge Park is truly a hidden gem in the city. It’s very easy to reach, with multiple subway stations within walking distance, making it super accessible. Once you’re there, you’ll find it surprisingly quiet and offering fantastic views of the entire bridge, the opposite side of the river, and even the Statue of Liberty. It’s just a wonderful park, and I’ll definitely be visiting again.
Littlebean G — Google review
Beautiful park with chill city views of Lower Manhattan! The breezy and calming nature paths make it perfect for a relaxing walk. Enjoy street vendors and local stores for a quick bite, and take a break in one of the many quiet seating areas throughout the rehabilitated piers. Pro tip: get yourself a hot coffee or cold brew at the nearby 0% Arabica
Shmuel D — Google review
Brooklyn Bridge Park, an 85-acre “sustainable waterfront park”, is great for all ages. There are a lot of bathrooms, benches, walking trails, playgrounds, water/sprinkler areas, swings, slides, jungle gyms, and a ferry stop. They have soccer fields, sand volleyball courts, hand ball courts, basketball courts, picnic areas, public grilles and barbecue areas. At the end of some piers, you’ll find two sinks and a table to easily clean and pack whatever fish you catch. There’s even a sandy beach that allows you to walk to the water. There’s an area to roller skate or play roller hockey near the basketball, ping pong, pickleball courts. Each pier at the Brooklyn Bridge Park takes you into a different uniquely curated experience. It has winding trails, surrounded by trees. You can forget you’re in New York City. Then, you’ll make it out to the other side and be met with a beautiful view of Lower Manhattan. If you look just south of the city, you’ll see Governor’s Island and beyond that, the Statue of Liberty. In the other direction, you’ll see the Brooklyn Bridge and up to Midtown Manhattan, identified by the Chrysler and Empire State Buildings. If you’re purpose is to picnic and you want to bring take away, start at Pier 1. The Dumbo area, on the way to the entrance of the park, has pizza by the pie places and a Luke’s Lobster (and a ton of other options). Grab some food and head into the park. You can kayak here. They also hold public movie screenings and live music. The website for Brooklyn Bridge Park has everything you’ll need to plan your trip. Pier 6 is filled with trees, trails, playgrounds, and sitting areas. Between Pier 5 and 6 is the sand volley ball courts. Pier 5 is the soccer fields with a fishing area at the end of it. Between Pier and 5 and 3, you’ll find the barbecue peninsula and beach area. Pier 3 is another beautiful green space with trails, lawns, and benches. Pier 2 holds most of the courts and the roller rink. Pier 1 holds the largest lawn areas with gorgeous views of the Brooklyn Bridge and the city with a lot of green space and more walking trails.

Rising majestically over Midtown Manhattan since 1931, the Empire State Building has been a magnet for visitors and tourists. This iconic Art Deco skyscraper boasts 102 stories and offers open-air observation decks on the 86th and 102nd floors, providing breathtaking views of the city. Visitors can also explore fascinating historic exhibits on-site. The building's prime location places it near Grand Central Station, the United Nations building, Times Square, and other cultural landmarks in Manhattan.
Visiting the Empire State Building was truly unforgettable. From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I could feel the history and grandeur of this iconic landmark. The Art Deco design is stunning, and the elevator ride to the top builds so much excitement. The view from the 86th floor is absolutely breathtaking — you can see the entire Manhattan skyline, Central Park, and even the Statue of Liberty in the distance. I went just before sunset, and watching the city lights come alive was magical. Everything was well-organized, the staff were friendly, and the experience felt smooth from start to finish. It’s not just a tourist spot — it’s a symbol of New York itself. A must-see for anyone visiting the city!
Alex — Google review
We kinda spur of the moment decided to do this, while in NY. So didn't buy tickets in advance, although it wasn't difficult to do so there, as they had computer ordering systems on site to use, we would have been able to see and realize that there is a price difference amongst the different "time slots" and that entry times are set every 15-30mins apart. There is thorough security to get in, and lots of staff around as well. The place was clean, and spacious. The history on your way through was very interesting. The view from the top was really good, we paid extra to go to the 101 floor. And although it wasn't a huge difference from the view of the 85th floor, I'm glad we did it. Defiently recommend visiting the observation deck of the empire state building atleast once. We went up during daylight hours, so I may, someday come back for a night view.
Samantha H — Google review
Go see it, you won't regret the time you spend exploring this iconic building. We're from NZ, so this was a bucket list visit and I loved everything about the museum walkthrough, old footage and experiential stuff. Views are phenomenal, breath taking even on a good day like we had. We just looked and looked at the vast expanse of this city and didn't want to leave. So much NY history in the one place, it's worth the entry fee for sure. If you are remotely interested in the Empire State Building you'll love it.
Dan&Emily D — Google review
From the 86th floor, the city lights stretch in every direction—Times Square glows, traffic forms ribbons of color, and the skyline looks its best after dark. Crowds are lighter at night, so it’s easier to enjoy the view and take photos without rushing. Overall, the nighttime atmosphere feels calm and memorable. If you want a classic view of Manhattan with less daytime noise, this visit is worth it.
J M — Google review
I chose the ESB over the Rock and other viewing platforms for it's historical significance. Built in 1931, in one year and 45 days, featured in many famous movies and recognized around the world. It even has it's own zip code! My first time in NYC so definitely had to go all the way up to the 102nd floor which is completely enclosed so good for cold weather! But you have great views from the 86th floor also which is open air and enclosed. Reservations are required and earlier is less busy.
Jackie H — Google review
Honestly, visiting the Empire State Building was such a cool experience. You always see it in movies and pictures, but standing there in person feels completely different. The building is massive, and the lobby inside is beautiful. Everything is set up really well for tourists, so it doesn’t feel too confusing even though there are a lot of people. The museum on the way up was actually pretty fun. I didn’t think I’d care much about it, but it shows how the building was made and all the history behind it, which makes the visit feel more special. Then the elevator ride to the top is super quick—it’s kind of exciting how fast it goes. The view from the top is unreal. You can see the whole city, from Central Park to the Statue of Liberty, and even out into New Jersey. I went in the afternoon and stayed until it got dark, and that was the best choice because you get both the daytime city view and then the night skyline all lit up, which is amazing. It’s a little pricey, but honestly worth it for the experience and the views. Definitely something you should do at least once if you’re in New York.
Teodora Š — Google review
I found the 86th floor to be pretty adequate for photos.I didn't see a point to go all the way to the top, To be honest. The views are pretty spectacular. You get to take photos from both the eightieth floor and then open air eighty sixth floor. There's lots of museum and stuff to look through before you get up to the elevators, you can either look at it or skip it.It's up to you. Then, at the end, of course, there's a gift shop. I would highly recommend this. I would probably recommend it over some of the other tall buildings because of the history surrounding this one. And it's pretty centrally located, so you can see everything from the eighty sixth floor.
Jana T — Google review
I must say, this is the most magical place on earth, if you go to New York, this is a must. The prices of the tickets are affordable and the experience makes you feel like you’re on top of the world. We went in the evening and seeing the lights of New York was magical. It bought the city to life. The staff were really friendly and the museum part was interesting as it taught you about the Empire State building. Will definitely come back and visit.

Top of The Rock is an observatory located on top of Rockefeller Center, featuring an ocean-liner style design and providing stunning city views. Visitors can explore Rockefeller Center, known for hosting The Today Show, shopping opportunities, and dining options before taking the elevator to the Top of The Rock for a bird's-eye view of the city. Unlike the Empire State Building, this vantage point allows capturing photos with the iconic building in them.
One of the best views of Manhattan from a top of a building, better than Empire State Building or the Freedom Tower!!! Upon entry you will receive a video introduction to the making of The Rockefeller Center in a theater. You can see all of the downtown including Empire State Building, Central Park, Freedom Tower, etc etc etc. You can go up to 67th, 69th and 71st floor. The top floor does not have glasses so you can get a better quality photos. 96th floor has the Beam Experience for additional $25. 71st floor has the Skylift for additional $35 or it is part of the VIP Pass. It is best to make a reservatios! Be on tine!!!. Highly recommended.

Finally, on my 5th trip to NYC we did Rockafella Centre instead of Empire State. What a great experience. Great views of the NYC skyline which includes the Empire State. The Beam was so worth it as well. Great views out towards Central Park. Could have stayed up there for even more hours. Nice little cafe/bar with terrace area to sit and chill while admiring the views.
Matt- F — Google review
This was my second time at Top of the Rock (my first visit was about 10 years ago), and it was nice to see the updates like Skylift and The Beam. My husband and I tried The Beam Experience, which was fun and made for a nice photo, though it was over pretty quickly. We purchased our tickets for The Beam separately at Rockefeller Center, and they offered a discount when buying one of the attractions on the site. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, but nothing too crazy or unique compared to some of the newer observation decks in NYC, like Edge or Summit. Still, it’s worth checking out if you’ve never been, especially for the classic Central Park views. For first-time visitors to Manhattan’s observation decks, it could definitely be a great experience. The views are especially stunning from the open-air top floor with no glass or windows, and additions like The Beam add a fun touch.
Olga N — Google review
I brought tickets for 2 .. around 62 $ each. I really love the view from top of the building. I stay since before sunset , sunset time until night. Spending time around 1 and a half hours. So amazing and beautiful 360degree. breathtaking, panoramic city views, so so good especially of Central Park and the Empire State Building, making it a popular attraction. This was my excellent experience and this place was recommended. Top of the rock at rockefeller building , New York.
Indy L — Google review
Top of the Rock was fantastic — much quieter than the Empire State Building, which made the experience way more enjoyable. The views to the north are incredible, especially over Central Park. You also get a perfect view of the Empire State Building, which you obviously can’t get if you’re standing on it! Highly recommend going around sunset for the best light.
Rachael T — Google review
A truly unforgettable experience! The views from the Top of the Rock are absolutely stunning — you can see all of Manhattan and Central Park in one perfect panorama. Everything is beautifully organized, the staff are welcoming, and the atmosphere is calm and elegant. A must-visit attraction for anyone exploring New York City
Wael ( — Google review
Definitely a must see when in NYC! If you’re a local and to be a tourist in your own city, check out for local deals. You need a local zip code to verify address. Great views of upper Manhattan of Central Park and lower Manhattan too since you’re literally in midtown! They put a mini 5 minute show before heading up. There’s also a bar on top to enjoy a drink with the views. All in all, great NYC experience!
Abcdan — Google review
One of the best views of Manhattan with spectacular coffee. The rooftop has three levels, offering 360-degree views of all of Manhattan, including prime views of Grand Central Park and the Empire State Building. The cafe has a varied menu to accompany your visit with drinks, desserts, meals, or coffee. It's a place worth visiting.

One World Observatory is situated on the 100th, 101st, and 102nd floors of the One World Trade Center, offering breathtaking views of New York City's skyline. Visitors are taken up to the observatory in dedicated elevators called Sky Pods, which provide a video-enhanced journey through time and space showcasing NYC's evolution over the decades. The experience continues with interactive exhibits about the building's construction and cutting-edge technology.
I went in the afternoon after lunch time around 2 pm and just get the ticket from the Kiosk on arrival. I think the online price is better at $39 pp instead of $50 pp on site. I love the video story of the building in the lift and the New York city introduction video before you enter the observatory deck! It was so well made, the reveal was fantastic! Absolutely beautiful city view from the floor 102 and cool presents you can buy from the Gallery shop at One World up on the viewing floor. The pennies coin machine is a great price too, you can get a set of 8 pennies pressed for $5. And there are 2 different set of 16 different designs to choose from. The staff was very friendly and helpful! Bathroom available at the gift shop before you come down and also after the lift down before you exit. You can also top up your bottle with cold water before you leave after the lift. Definitely recommend this observatory if you are in New York city!

**beware skirts/dresses. Floors may reflect unwanted exposure** If it's a warm day the observation decks will be hot. We bought the pass that allowed for flexible priority entry. the pass included a spending credit to be used at gift shop or restaurant as well as the observation tablet. They will try to sell you the tablet as an add on at the top. Security and elevators were easy. Nice video in elevator as well as at the top priority to entry. It was an enjoyable experience. We sat and had a drink with our credits to enjoy the view. Beware, it was still $$.
Pam B — Google review
This was a very nice experience, towering over NYC with multiple view in every direction. The elevator is lightning fast and you do not even feel it, one of the fastest in the world we were told. The animated views along with the elevation counter was pretty cool. It was not very busy at all, walked right in. There were 3 floors to observe. I would have liked to have seen more on the very top floor but they kind of usher you out of this floor rather quickly. Overall I think it was a “thing to do” experience and would recommend. A bit on the pricey side for the time you spend there, but still nice to do. If you want to see some really spectacular views, this is for you!
Tony R — Google review
Welcome, to the highest skyscraper of New York. It still feels surreal to me having the opportunity to finally see it with my own eyes. It is massive, it is huge, it is magical in his own. Going up by the elevator where you get a very nice animation of the build of New York, and after 40-ish seconds you reached the top where you can admire the amazing view of New York City. Now, I must say it may not have the charm, or the stellar history like the North and South World Trade Center had in the past, but the One World Trade Center defenitely deserves his mark in New York City. Which also makes it one of the must see things when you are in this town. Small tip; Make sure your make a reservation in advance! Just to be sure.
Delano K — Google review
An amazing experience. so much light and space and the views speak for themselves. This is a calm and serene experience compared to some of the other observation decks. There's a solemnity about this place as well obviously. I bought tickets on the same morning and it was very well run and easy to access.
Neil M — Google review
Great view. Better than empire state and the rock. Iconic and historical. You can also visit at the same time other iconic places around it. Such as the 9/11 museum, memorial, the statue of the horse soldier and more. Other architectural beauty are also within proximity. And the oculus under is truly worth the visit.
Joe S — Google review
Remember to ask one of the employees at the payment kiosk for a discount code. The employee near us reminded us to use the family discount for all 6 of us for 25% off. So cool of her to point it out for us. This discount code isn't offered, or at least, not easily found when buying tickets online. Consider buying tickets when you arrive. The best part of the entire experience was the elevator ride up. Put your back against the door and pay attention to the history lesson of the vertical growth of New York of 300 years and the rise of the city in 100 floors of lift. It makes the already fast ride even quicker. There's a similar experience on the way down, but not nearly as cool. On the observation floor, there are a few plaques on the walls, make sure you read each of them for some interesting facts. You ought to plan this into your next trip to NY.
Ron H — Google review
We went right at sunset and got to see an amazing one of a kind view of the city. Its hard to comprehend how high the observatory is until your ears start popping on the elevator up (which is shockingly fast btw). The into video was well done too. The only downside was our photos didnt turn out that great due to glare in the windows but it was pretty epic!

The Brooklyn Bridge, a beloved landmark dating back to 1883, is a unique stone-and-steel structure that connects Manhattan and Brooklyn. It offers an iconic walk across its elevated promenade, providing breathtaking views of the East River and the city skyline. The bridge's location allows for easy access to both Lower Manhattan and the charming neighborhood of Brooklyn Heights with its stunning brownstones and row houses. Additionally, visitors can enjoy picturesque walks through Park Slope, another desirable residential area in Brooklyn.
What a lovely bridge to walk across. It takes about 30 minutes from end to end. You can see in the distance the Statue of Liberty and on the other side the Manhattan Bridge. At the end of this bridge, if you go to Dumbo, that's a really good place to also spend some time afterwards. Have some pizza, experience the market, and take some great shots of Manhattan Bridge and down under Brooklyn Bridge.
MSJ — Google review
Walking across the Brooklyn Bridge is an experience that stays with you long after the journey ends. From the moment you step onto its iconic walkway, you feel a connection to history, to the countless souls who have crossed before, and to the city itself — alive, vibrant, and full of possibility. Every view is breathtaking: the skyline stretching endlessly, the river shimmering beneath, and the bridge’s architectural beauty standing as a testament to human vision and perseverance. There’s a rhythm to walking here, a pulse that invites reflection, inspiration, and awe. Whether you’re taking photos, pausing to soak it all in, or simply strolling, the bridge feels like more than a path from one borough to another — it’s a bridge between the past and present, between dreams and reality. Walking here reminded me to pause, to appreciate, and to carry a little piece of this city’s energy with me. A truly unforgettable experience.

If you have to define this bridge in one word, it would be just beautiful. The pedestrian path to walk on this bridge from one end to other is a great experience. It’s always crowded with tourists but it’s a must do things to walk the bridge. It takes around 30 to 45 mins to cross the bridge with all the pictures clicking and viewing the city. The pictures taken from here are beautiful. Must do experience when you are in New York.

A Must-Do New York Experience! Walking across the Brooklyn Bridge with family and friends was absolutely unforgettable. The views are phenomenal—Manhattan’s skyline, the Statue of Liberty in the distance, and endless photo opportunities at every step. My seven-year-old loved it too! It can get windy, so if you’re visiting in winter, dress warmly or bring a windbreaker. The walk is free, fun, and great exercise. Once you reach Brooklyn, you can explore cute shops and fabulous restaurants nearby. It’s the best of all worlds—beautiful views, quality time with loved ones, and a true New York adventure.

Title: A Must-See Iconic Experience in NYC! Walking across the Brooklyn Bridge is an unforgettable experience. The views of Manhattan, Brooklyn, and the Statue of Liberty are absolutely breathtaking, especially during sunrise or sunset when the city lights reflect beautifully on the East River. The pedestrian walkway is spacious, safe, and perfect for taking photos, jogging, or just enjoying the skyline. I loved seeing the historic architecture up close — the Gothic-style towers are incredible. There are plenty of spots to pause, admire the views, and snap pictures. Even with tourists around, the bridge retains a calm, majestic vibe. Highly recommend going early in the morning to avoid the crowds and fully enjoy this NYC icon. Whether you’re a first-time visitor or a local, crossing the Brooklyn Bridge is a must-do adventure that perfectly captures the spirit of New York City!

Brooklyn Bridge – A Must-Do in New York! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Walking across the Brooklyn Bridge is an experience you simply cannot miss when visiting New York City! The moment you step onto the wooden walkway, you’re greeted with stunning views of Manhattan’s skyline, the East River, and even a glimpse of the Statue of Liberty in the distance. The bridge itself is a masterpiece of architecture with its towering stone arches and intricate cables — it’s as beautiful up close as it is from afar. It’s incredible to think it has been standing strong since 1883, carrying not only cars and bicycles but also thousands of people every day. The walk takes about 20–30 minutes at a relaxed pace, but you’ll want to stop often for photos. My advice: go early in the morning or just before sunset to avoid heavy crowds and capture the best light for pictures. At night, the city lights make the bridge feel even more magical. On the Brooklyn side, you can relax at Brooklyn Bridge Park, grab a slice of famous New York pizza, or just sit by the waterfront and take in the views. From the Manhattan side, you’re only steps away from City Hall, Chinatown, and the Financial District. Tip: Wear comfortable shoes, stay in the pedestrian lane (cyclists zoom by fast!), and bring your camera — every angle offers a postcard-worthy shot. 🌟 Overall: An unforgettable walk and one of the best free things to do in New York. It’s not just a bridge, it’s a true New York experience!

Iconic walk with stunning skyline views The Brooklyn Bridge is a must-visit for breathtaking views of Manhattan. A great way to experience it is to take the ferry from Pier 11 to DUMBO and then walk back across the bridge toward Manhattan, which provides an amazing perspective of the skyline. The bridge is very close to downtown Manhattan, easily accessible, and the walkway offers plenty of photo opportunities. Crowds can be moderate, but the views more than make up for it. It's iconic, scenic, and perfect for a leisurely stroll with unbeatable city views.

Located in the heart of Manhattan, SUMMIT One Vanderbilt is a new addition to the city's skyline and has quickly become a top tourist attraction. The 73rd-floor observation deck offers more than just stunning views, with its immersive artistic experience spread across three sections: Air, Transcendence, and Affinity. Standing at an impressive height of 1,301 feet, it provides unparalleled 360-degree views over all five boroughs and even beyond on clear days.
An amazing experience. We had the greatest time, it’s so fun. Take your time while walking through. You are in no rush. Enjoy, take pictures, be playful and happy. All three floors are fantastic, first floor is the one with all the mirrors, second floor has the platinum balloons and the third has the food and drinks. The cocktails are nicely loaded, grab one and hang out on the top floor soaking in the views. We spent 3 hours there, including around 39 minutes of line. It’s a popular attraction. One last tip, at the end you will be asked to buy digital prints or a booklet with your pictures. They mention you can’t take pictures of the screen but do not be alarmed, you can just scan your own bracelet and have access to the pictures. The booklet or the framed picture are the best option if you are going to spend money. Oh! I almost forgot, the bathroom after the snack/bar area has the best view, if you can, make sure to save a p double o, p for that. Fantastic experience!!

Absolutely spectacular. We recommend visiting in the evening to see the city lights. We were planning to visit the Empire State building, but this building included the Empire State Building in our view. The experience was awesome. From the moment we walked into the elevator, through the entrance walkway, onto to the first observation floor 91. Calming audio was playing, very celestial. And the view of downtown was the first site to see. From our vantage point, we were able to see the Empire State building, Crysler building, all the way down to the world trade. We are also able to see 30 Roc, the darkness of Central Park, and the glow of lights coming from the neighborhood of times Square. You could easily see Brooklyn and essentially the entire city of New York from that advantage point. One of the rooms had this bonkers set up silver balls, floating in the ceiling and on the ground, it was pretty cool to see. The experience allowed us to go on floor 91, 92, 93 with an open aor experience at the 93 floor. I would recommend this experience to anybody visiting New York. World class views as far as I can see.

Luckily this was recommended to us and it was one of the best value for money experiences of all the touristy options. We went in the morning and there was a queue, but it moves quickly. The views and photo opportunities are great and you don’t feel like there is any rush to get through the different rooms. Kids LOVED the silver balloon room and it was good for them to have a fun part amongst all the views. We also did Top of the rock and that felt more historical and romanticised, so would still do the two, but I think the kids preferred Summit One and it did feel friendlier and more of an experience. It’s also right next door to Grand Central and the contrast of super modern and super beautiful old was stunning.

Took my mom here for her birthday last weekend. She loves exploring different things in the city and this was on her bucket list. We had a wonderful time. It was a cloudy rainy day when we got there amd the visibility sucked. Luckily about 10 mins later around 1:45 p.m, the fog started to lift and we were able to get some fantastic views. We spent about 2 hrs here and enjoyed every bit of it.

We don’t usually do overpriced touristy things in new cities but this is a can’t miss! The views from the 91-93 floors are unmatched and the installations are beautiful! The lines seem long but once you get elevatored up, the crowds thin as you make your way through. Highly recommend this one! We went during the day but it would be beautiful at night too!

So worth the money GO! We went for a night time slot and the views were gorgeous basically 360 and all the glass and mirrors make it so trippy - it was so good to look down at the empire star building. There is art installations along the tour which are interactive and good for a family or couple to enjoy. Make sure to check the clothing recommendations to get into the building and take your time on the tour as it’s a one way system. We went on a a Saturday night so it was busy but 100% enjoyable no matter.

This was my second visit in a year. I love this experience. The recent one was at sunset. Absolutely breathtaking. The views and the skyline put on a show. Would have to have been one of the most spectacular sunsets I have seen. The 3 floors keep your attention. Love seeing my face in the clouds. 10/10

The High Line is a renowned elevated park built on an old railway line, offering stunning views of the city and the river. This 1.45-mile-long linear park in Manhattan was transformed from an abandoned railway viaduct into a popular public space in 2009. Designed by Dutch landscape architect Piet Oudolf, the park features a continuous walkway surrounded by gardens with diverse plant species that thrived on the disused rail line.
This is the best part of NYC for me. A previously abandoned above ground railway has been transformed into a park above the streets of downtown Manhattan. They are also growing lots of plants, wild herbs and flowers to bring life and greenery into this corner of the city. It's good to see they're continually expanding it. I especially love being able to sit and read or watch the world go by at the giant window midway through the park. An innovative way to repurpose an historic part of the city.

This is such a cool walking path/pedestrian route for anyone wanting to walk near the Hudson Yard area to Pier 57/Chelsea Market. Lots of green spaces and natural plantings with the old railroad lines, and places with stairs and elevators to go down to street level. Nice way to see some cool buildings and avoid traffic and stoplights. You can enter near the Vessel in Hudson Yard area, or end there if you start above the Chelsea Market.

A wonderful use of old elevated train tracks turned into beautiful greenery in the middle of the city. So many different kinds of vegetation and lots of great art to see along the way. We walked about 2 miles of it from The Edge down to Chelsea Market.

This walk is so nice, it's hard to believe it's free (privately funded, donations accepted). We stopped for several minutes to listen to a mockingbird perform his concert! Super clean bathrooms, and there are no pets allowed, so with all the plants, it smells nice too. Not too crowded on weekdays.

The Brooklyn Heights Promenade is a picturesque tree-lined walkway that offers stunning views of the Statue of Liberty, Brooklyn Bridge, and the iconic Manhattan skyline. This hidden gem provides ample walking space and benches for visitors to relax and take in the breathtaking scenery. The promenade also features historic mansions on one side, adding to its charm. From this vantage point, visitors can enjoy panoramic views of Lower Manhattan, including the World Trade Center.
Incredible pedestrian walking path over the Brooklyn Bridge. Unbeatable views of the city. Bring some water with you on hot days. There are people in the bridge selling hats and other small souvenirs. We also saw a couple people who will take your photo and print it out or airdrop it to you for a small fee. We took advantage of this and got some cool pics for just $15. There’s some history of the bridge in the middle at one of the arches. There’s also an area where people have tied hair ties to this bridge as a safer alternative to the love locks. There’s also bridge is a little over a mile long so wear good walking shoes and have a great time! There is a slight incline at entrance and exit and then it’s pretty even once you reach the highest elevation.

One of the stunning places overlooking the East River offering panoramic views of NYC skyline, Brooklyn Bridge and Statue of Liberty. Visit in the evening to enjoy the view at sunset. This pedestrian walkway stretches from west end of Remsen street to the west end of Orange street with access points at Montague street and Pierrepoint place, Clark street and Pineapple street. There is a park for kids called Pierrepont playground for kids at the entrance of Pierrepoint place. The promenade has wheel-chair accessible entrances. It seems to be a favorite destination for walkers, joggers and for people to capture their special moments like engagements and weddings.

Incredible view from high ground overlooking Manhattan skyline, East River, Brooklyn Bridge, all the piers. The Brooklyn Heights Promenade, also called the Esplanade,[1] is a 1,826-foot (557 m)-long platform and pedestrian walkway cantilevered over the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway (Interstate 278) in Brooklyn Heights, Brooklyn, New York City, United States. With views of Lower Manhattan's skyline and the New York Harbor, it came about as the byproduct of competing proposals for the highway's route that were resolved in the midst of World War II. Actual construction came after the war. As a structure built over a roadway, the Promenade is owned by the NYCDOT and is not considered a park; however, NYC Parks maintains the entire Promenade. The Promenade runs from the west end of Remsen Street to the west end of Orange Street and can additionally be accessed from Montague Street and Pierrepont Place and the west ends of Pierrepont Street, Clark Street and Pineapple Street.

I haven’t been there in years. I used to go with my cousins when I was younger when they used to play soccer. We were invited for a BBQ. We walked just a little and It was beautiful. We are planning to go back soon and walk more. Park is huge, dog friendly, picnic area playground etc.

The cultural offerings are just as impressive. The Queens Museum features rotating exhibitions that reflect the borough’s diversity and history. Astoria Park is a nearly 60-acre green space that offers a variety of amenities for visitors to enjoy. It features a large pool, bocce courts, trails, playgrounds, outdoor tennis courts, a track, basketball courts and a bandstand. Situated under the Triborough Bridge and Hell Gate Bridge along the East River, the park provides stunning views of the Manhattan skyline and the river.
I always loved this place. Growing up as a kid in Astoria, coming to this park gave me a place to breathe, and think. Sitting in my car by the water, or walking around in the park you had the chance to experience peace even though the park was bustling with activity. There is a huge pool within the park, along with several small playgrounds for the kids. There is a brand new track, and there is enough room for soccer matches and other outdoor activities. The bathrooms are clean, and the park as a whole is so very well maintained. This place is one of the many great things about Astoria.

Very beautiful park. It's like a 15 minute walk from the N train, but you've got some gorgeous views of the water, a nice playground, spacious track and field, and the biggest public swimming pool in NYC. Not too crowded at all considering the great weather either. If you live in Queens, highly recommend as an alternative to Central Park or Prospect Park.

I live in Queens and I go to Astoria Park pretty often just to walk or relax. It’s a big open space with nice running paths and lots of green areas. Sometimes I bring some food and just chill by the water — you get a great view of the bridge and Manhattan from here. There are usually a lot of people, but there’s plenty of room for everyone. I tried the pool recently — it’s huge and clean, and security keeps things in order. Sometimes you can hear the traffic from the roads, but it doesn’t really bother me. It’s just a solid spot for a walk or to clear your head.

Great park with views of the city however didn't really get to see the fireworks on July 4. Bathrooms were terrible and dirty with strong urine smell. Also closed at 7pm. Line was very long to the point women started making line for the men's side and the guard came to handle the issue due to the situation plus no more toilet paper. Better to go by the field and track section with better bathroom and more places to walk. They had 2 ice-cream vendors. The one by the road closest to the foot of the bridge , that I like a lot, and one close to the water. Peaceful and relaxing . Good for walking small dogs.

Astoria, New York, is a charming neighborhood with a rich cultural heritage. I had visited last February, you likely experienced the area's winter charm, with average temperatures ranging from 29°F to 42°F (-2°C to 6°C). Here's a brief overview of what I might have encountered: - *Weather*: February is one of the coldest months in Astoria, with occasional snowfall and limited sunshine, averaging only 4.8 hours of sunshine per day. - *Neighborhood*: Astoria is known for its diverse community, vibrant street art, and eclectic restaurants serving international cuisine, particularly Greek and Mediterranean flavors. - *Attractions*: I might have visited iconic spots like the Hell Gate Bridge, Astoria Park, or the Museum of the Moving Image, showcasing the area's industrial, recreational, and cultural significance.I have also visited the different market places like Burlington, Marshall, and Costco. Keep in mind that February is a quieter time in Astoria compared to the warmer months, but it can still be a great time to explore indoor attractions, enjoy local cuisine, and experience the neighborhood's unique character .

The renovations have treated this park well. I’ve been coming here since I was a kid and it’s great to see the facelift on it. The pool is nice as well as the park. I highly recommend this park. What a great park right on the water, the cities on a remarkable job of establishing the prior environmental features such as wetland streams, buffers, etc. while at the same time offering a enjoyable experience for singles, families, etc. I would recommend it highly I think it’s better than Dumbo, but it’s not really a competition. Everybody has to go through what has been done before

Central Park is a breathtaking green sanctuary nestled in the bustling heart of New York City, offering an escape from the urban hustle. Established in 1857, this iconic park spans over 800 acres, making it larger than London's Hyde Park. Visitors can meander along scenic walking paths and expansive lawns while discovering a plethora of attractions. From the enchanting Alice in Wonderland statue to Belvedere Castle perched on Vista Rock, every corner reveals something new.
If there was a perfect city park, this would be it. It just is an amazing park. You can go for a stroll in the woods, sun bath in a grass meadow, see great entertainment, much of it free, rent a row boad on the lake, people watch and so much more. When you are in the park, in some areas it might not even seem like you are still in the city. Anyone visiting NYC should take the time to walk through and explore the park. There is an amazing zoo, a carousel, ice skating rink, and even a castle in the park. The pictures are of the reservoir at the north end of the park.

Central Park in the Fall — Absolutely Magical! Visiting Central Park in autumn was better than I ever imagined. The colors, the crisp air, the skyline peeking through the trees — it felt straight out of a movie, only real. The park is wonderfully kid-friendly and dog-friendly, full of families, friendly faces, and space to explore. From the winding paths to the shimmering ponds and quiet lakes, every corner is breathtaking. The city views are stunning, and everyone we met was kind and welcoming. Truly one of the most beautiful and peaceful places I’ve ever experienced.

Central Park is more than just the heart of New York City — it’s the city’s soul. Spanning over 840 acres, this green oasis feels like a peaceful escape wrapped inside the chaos of Manhattan. The moment you step in, the city noise fades, replaced by the rustle of leaves, the laughter of joggers, and the sound of musicians under the bridges. Every corner of the park tells a story. From the romantic Bow Bridge arching gracefully over the lake to the grand Bethesda Terrace overlooking the fountain, it’s a photographer’s dream and a wanderer’s paradise. The pathways curve through gardens, open meadows, and quiet wooded areas — perfect for a morning run, a lazy picnic, or simply sitting on a bench and watching life pass by. What makes Central Park truly special is how it reflects the rhythm of New York itself. On one side, artists sketch and performers play violins; on the other, kids race their bikes while couples row across the lake. In winter, the Wollman Rink sparkles with skaters, and in spring, the cherry blossoms paint the park in pastel shades. Whether you’re a tourist seeing it for the first time or a local escaping your busy schedule, Central Park never feels the same twice. It’s timeless yet ever-changing — a living masterpiece right in the middle of skyscrapers. In a city that never sleeps, Central Park reminds you to breathe, slow down, and simply be. ⭐ Rating: 5/5 A must-visit — not just for its beauty, but for the peace and inspiration it offers.

Central Park is an urban park between the Upper West Side and Upper East Side neighborhoods of Manhattan in New York City, and the first landscaped park in the United States. It is the sixth-largest park in the city, containing 843 acres (341 ha), and the most visited urban park in the United States, with an estimated 42 million visitors annually as of 2016. Central Park is owned by the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation but has been managed by the Central Park Conservancy since 1998 under a contract with the government of New York City in a public–private partnership. Central Park is the most beautiful place in New York! Perfect for photoshoots, horse rides, and boating on the lake. It’s also one of the best romantic spots for a date. Everywhere you go, you can hear live music, which adds such a magical atmosphere. I love visiting in any season — spring with blooming trees and fall with falling leaves are my favorites. A truly unique place you can’t find anywhere else in the world!

Central Park is an incredible place — a true green oasis in the heart of New York City’s concrete jungle. It surrounds you with peace and nature, making you forget you’re in one of the busiest cities in the world. Perfect for a walk, a picnic, or simply to sit and breathe in the calm beauty of the park.

After the watching the 'Stranger Things: The First Shadow' Broadway show at the Marquis Theatre on W46th St & 7th Ave, we walked the 0.7 miles up 7th Ave to the Central Park entrance at W59th St where I had my first NYC Hotdog from the Nathan's Hotdog stand. It was very tasty if a tad small for $6. We only walked in a very small section of the vast 843 acres, 2.5 miles long and 0.5 miles wide park, from the W59th St & 7Ave entrance to the Model Sailing Boat Lake and could have spent several days explore the different sections of this vast beautiful space, which is enjoyed daily by some many local New Yorkers and tourists. There were lots of people relaxing on the grass, walking, jogging, running, cycling & rollerblading through the park, together with rickshaws and horse drawn carriages carrying their passengers on the one directional circular road running around inside the park. We stopped off at the Le Pain Quotidien kiosk next to the Model Boating Lake for hot drinks & pastries at one of the tables, enjoying the late evening sunshine whilst watching people going by and children sailing their rented remote controlled model boats in the lake. There are public male & female toilets either side of the kiosk and a table service section for a selection of food & drinks. It wasn't too busy when we were there around 6pm on a Saturday evening and it was the perfect place to sit down, take a break, relax and watch the world go by in Central Park whilst enjoying a drink. We were fortunate to be there to listen to the famous Central Park guitar man, David Ippolito, playing some beautiful guitar music from across the boating lake opposite our table, in his regular Saturday slot. On our walk to the Model Boating Lake we passed the 1,800 seat open air Delacorte amphitheater inside the park, where free public shows of Shakespeare's 'Twelfth Night' were being performed. My wife is a big fan of Shakespeare's plays and would have loved to have gone to see the play. However, as the vast majority of tickets were allocated via lottery to NYC residents we would have had to queue up in person in a standby line outside the theatre on the day, in the hope of getting one of these few ticket allocations and I didn't like Shakespeare enough to do that. As it was such beautiful warm late summer we decided to walk the 2.2 miles down Lexington Ave, from the park at 74th St down to our hotel at 36th St. Although it took a lot longer than taking the subway we really enjoyed seeing more of the city on foot.

I had never seen such a huge park in the city area. Spread across 800+ acres, this park has a lot of beautiful places to visit. We went to Bethesda terrace as our first spot here and it’s really worth visiting. Great spots to visit, sit, relax, run and click pictures. Loved the bow bridge. Must visit and highly recommended.

Observation deck
Edge NYC is a 100-story observation deck located at 30 Hudson Yards, New York City. Opened in 2020, it offers breathtaking 360-degree views of the city, including unique perspectives with glass floor panels. As the highest outdoor sky deck in the Western Hemisphere, it provides an unmatched open-air experience suspended in mid-air. Visitors can enjoy views of iconic landmarks such as the Empire State Building and the Hudson River while feeling like they are floating in the sky.
We could see the edge from our hotel room so we chose this view activity. It was fantastic. The weather was perfect. The views were phenomenal. The decorated photo op spots were fun. We had a great time and got some good pics. The Edge is well organized with friendly, helpful staff to guide you to the top. LOVED THIS VIEW!!! I even stood on the glass floor.
Jan L — Google review
We visited The Edge around 1 PM, and it was already quite crowded, which made it tricky to enjoy the views or take decent photos without bumping into people. The view itself is impressive, but because of the crowd and the cloudy weather, it lost a bit of its charm. Unfortunately, the glass floor was off-limits, and the stairs to the upper outdoor level were closed for a private event, both of which were among the main attractions we were looking forward to. The digital photos offered for 35 dollars looked like they were edited on Windows 95, so definitely not worth it. We had a look at the restaurant on Level 101, but the prices were steep, even by NYC standards, so we decided to skip it. On the bright side, the staff were friendly, though nothing beyond standard service. We bought our tickets online through GO City, which worked smoothly and made entry easy.

Loved this whole experience. The elevator whizzes up a 100 floors in seconds. The views were spectacular, there was atmosphere of childlike wonder. People seemed fascinated by the little bit of glass floor where they were having pictures taken, and some were afraid to step on it 😃. There were just the right number of helpful and pleasant attendants, and the bathrooms were convenient. The area around the building is beautiful. There is a park nearby called the High Line, where a freight train used to run in the old days. There is the subway station there now. And there's a paved area with benches out front, where we saw people sitting, eating their snacks or watching others marvel at the beautiful, wiggly circular glass building there. Reminded me of Dubai, with rows of sparkling glass buildings housing posh stores and offices. I like the vibe of the Hudson Yards area.

The Edge is absolutely spectacular — I’ve never been on an observation deck quite like it. It’s so spacious and open, with glass walls all the way around that give you completely unobstructed views of New York. The feeling of being outdoors, with the wind and the height, is really something special. The only downside for me was the loud music and the small stand selling champagne or tequila shots — it took away a bit from the majesty of the view. I understand it’s probably meant to appeal to a younger crowd, but I personally would’ve preferred a quieter atmosphere to take it all in. Still, it’s an amazing experience overall, and absolutely worth visiting for the incredible views alone.
Neil M — Google review
It is worth it? Yes, how much? Well, it depends on how much you love that view. Be ready for be there with bunch of people, lines to catch the elevator, to enter, to take the signature picture if you want. There's a few skyscrapers with the view, so feel free to choose. This one I like a lot. You have to buy tickets online choosing hour time and day.

Edge is the highest outdoor sky deck in the Western Hemisphere, offering breathtaking panoramic views of New York City from the 100th floor of 30 Hudson Yards. The unique, cantilevered design of the observation deck extends 80 feet out from the skyscraper, giving visitors the thrilling sensation of floating over the city. Its frameless, angled glass walls allow for unobstructed views and the chance to lean out over the urban landscape below. The experience at Edge begins on Level 4 with a multimedia presentation that details the story of Hudson Yards before visitors are whisked up 100 stories in a 52-second elevator ride. Once on the main outdoor sky deck, thrill-seekers can walk over the a glass floor, which provides a dramatic, 1,100-foot view straight down to the street. Beyond the glass floor, the deck features Skyline Seats and an Eastern Point where guests can relax and take in the spectacular scenery, which includes the Empire State Building, Central Park, the Statue of Liberty, and the Hudson River. For those seeking an even more extreme adventure, the City Climb allows participants to scale the outside of the skyscraper to its apex, an experience not for the faint of heart. More relaxed options include sipping champagne at the indoor/outdoor bar on the 100th floor or dining at the fine-dining restaurant Peak on the 101st floor. Combining innovative design with an incredible vantage point, Edge offers a truly unforgettable perspective on New York City.

Great experience and wonderful views where you can clearly see all of Manhattan. It was sunny out so wear sunscreen and bring sunglasses. Glass floor was fun to walk on, if you’re into that sort of thing! Prices around $50 per person (depends on ticket type purchased) & I used the kiosk near the Vessel so just picked a time available. When I walked upstairs there was no wait, walked right in and up the elevator. Overall, wonderful experience and a great way to spend about 1-2 hours (or less, but get your money worth 😉)

It's the fastest elevator I've ever been on. I recommend chewing gum to help your ears while you're on the elevator (in both directions). The views were phenomenal! It was a beautiful, clear day. We went on a weekday, which made our experience pleasant since it wasn't crowded. There was no waiting and the staff was nice. If you want unobstructed views of the city skyline, this is where you should go.

Situated within Flushing Meadows Corona Park, the Queens Museum is a must-visit destination offering an extensive collection of visual arts and The Panorama, a remarkable model of New York City. The museum showcases the rich history of Queens from its Native American roots to its current status as one of NYC's largest and most diverse boroughs through interactive displays and historical artifacts. It also features works by renowned artists who have called Queens home, such as Jackson Pollock and Alexander Calder.
We didn’t expect Queens Museum to be so interesting! While it’s not very large, the exhibits it has are truly impressive. The World’s Fair section and the display about Tiffany glass production were fascinating. But the highlight was definitely the Panorama of New York City—an incredibly detailed model of the entire city. Overall, we highly recommend visiting. It’s a unique and engaging experience!

The panorama is amazing and not to be missed! It is the main draw, but be sure to check out some of the other exhibits on display, too. The gift shop has a very well-curated selection of books (especially children’s books) and stationery. The cafe is open and inviting with a long wall of windows overlooking the park. Admission is free with IDNYC and for people with various other affiliations.

The Queens Museum, located in Flushing Meadows–Corona Park, is a center of culture, history, and art. It features diverse galleries such as the Pakistan Gallery and the Philippines Gallery, along with exhibits on New York’s water system. The museum is also home to the famous Tiffany Glass Gallery, showcasing exquisite handcrafted glass pieces decorated with floral and intricate designs, reflecting timeless craftsmanship. Its most iconic attraction is the Panorama of the City of New York, a breathtaking large-scale architectural model that represents the entire city with remarkable detail. In this panorama, every element—from rivers, bridges, temples, and massive buildings—has been recreated just as it exists in reality, offering visitors a unique way to explore the grandeur of New York in miniature form.

I'm so grateful we stopped here when visiting. This museum has the most amazing replica of Queens. This is the real reason to stop in. But please check out the rest of the museum. There are quite a few interesting exhibits. There was also a show and health fair happening at the time.

Very small quiet museum with suggested donation staff is quite friendly. Onsite parking. Two main exhibits are the World's Fair and the amazing NY Panorama I highly recommend this place. Only reason for 4 stars is that you need something else to do in the area because you can get through it in under two hours if you take your time. On a warm day, the park is a good idea. Otherwise look for some other options.

Socrates Sculpture Park, located in Queens' Astoria neighborhood, was established in 1986 by sculptor Mark di Suvero. This outdoor waterfront gallery spans nearly 60 acres and provides a platform for artists of all levels to showcase their work. Many of the displayed works are created on-site, allowing visitors to engage with local artists and witness the artistic process firsthand. The park, built on a former landfill site along the East River bank, offers large-scale sculptures and multimedia installations.
This was such a peaceful park. The views here was amazing. A lot of people lying down and it’s very quiet. Perfect place for babies and dogs. My 2 year old is almost never calm and he had such a great time here. James the security guard was also amazing. He was really kind in getting people out of the park safely and on time without making it feel like he was kicking you out. I will definitely be coming back. 100% recommend for artist looking for a quiet spot to strike inspiration.

Socrates Sculpture Park is an outdoor museum and public park where artists can create and exhibit sculptures and multi-media installations. It is located one block from the Noguchi Museum at the intersection of Broadway and Vernon Boulevard in the neighborhood of Astoria, Queens, New York City. In addition to exhibition space, the park offers an arts education program, artist residency program, and job training. Socrates Sculpture Park is located atop the mouth of the buried Sunswick Creek.  In 1986, American sculptor Mark di Suvero created Socrates Sculpture Park on an abandoned landfill and illegal dumpsite in Long Island City. The four-acre (1.6 ha) site is the largest outdoor space in New York City dedicated to exhibiting sculpture. The former landfill was renovated into the current park by a team of contemporary artists and local youths. The park operated for 14 years with only a temporary city park status. In 1998, the park was given official status by then New York City mayor Rudolph Giuliani as a permanent city park after a developer attempted to erect luxury apartments and a marina on the site after the park's lease had expired. In 2005, the park was among 406 New York City arts and social service institutions to receive part of a $20 million grant from the Carnegie Corporation, which was made possible through a donation by New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg. At the Socrates Sculpture Park's main entrance hangs a 10-by-28-foot (3.0 by 8.5 m) billboard structure that has been an ongoing installation since 1999. The original billboard was a mirror image of the street created by artist Mathieu Borysevicz built by ongoing volunteer Ross H. Radtke, a mechanical engineer and neighbour. New billboards are installed once or twice per year. Artists work with printmaking and photography to create an image that greets visitors as they enter the park and sets the tone for the current show. The billboards are in conjunction with each spring exhibition. The park has numerous workshops and public programming. Many artists lead tour programs of current exhibitions, there are summer art projects, and various free public events, such as yoga and capoeira on Saturdays and outdoor movie screenings on Wednesdays that begin in mid-July and end in mid-August. GrowNYC runs an Astoria Farmer's Market in the park every Saturday during the summer months. In January 2019, the Park announced its plan to construct and install permanent staff offices made out of shipping containers. This would be the park's first permanent on-site structure.

Checked this space out and was left desiring more. Got to see a couple pieces and the office building so not much currently on view. The coolest thing I learned from a staff member maintaining the site was about the founder and initial creator Mark di Suvero who built the massive i-beam sculptures as a paraplegic. Pretty impressive!

So, it’s a sculpture garden with just three crumbling sculptures on one edge. I dunno why I expected there to be sculptures. Maybe it was the name that threw me off. It really should be called Socrates Decent Garden with a Decent View of Manhattan. Then I wouldn’t have walked over to see sculptures. I do understand they sometimes have displays. Just not on the day I went. I wouldn’t put this on the Top 100 Things to Do in LIC.

The Manhattan Bridge, which opened in 1909, is a suspension bridge that connects Brooklyn and Manhattan. It is known for its ornate portal and offers stunning views of the city. The southern pedestrian side provides spectacular views of the Lower East Side tenement buildings, Financial District skyscrapers, graffiti art, and a beautiful perspective of the Brooklyn Bridge. Visitors can walk across the bridge and then explore the DUMBO waterfront area.
Beautiful urban views and less crowded than Brooklyn Bridge The Manhattan Bridge offers stunning views of the NYC skyline, Brooklyn Bridge, and East River—especially during sunrise or sunset. It’s a steel suspension bridge connecting Chinatown in Manhattan to DUMBO in Brooklyn, perfect for walking, biking, or photography without the heavy crowds you’ll find on the Brooklyn Bridge. 🕒 Best time to visit: Morning (before 10 AM) for peaceful walks and soft lighting. Golden hour (just before sunset) for incredible skyline views and photo ops. 🚶‍♀️ Pedestrian entrance: From Manhattan: Canal Street & Bowery (Chinatown side) From Brooklyn: Near Washington Street in DUMBO 🚴‍♂️ Bike lane and subway lines (Q, B, D, N) also run across the bridge. Ideal for anyone wanting a more local, authentic NYC experience with postcard-worthy views.

A really great walk back from Brooklyn to Manhattan, this isn’t as clean tidy and tourist prepared as the Brooklyn bridge is. But it is a much quieter walk back, with no stalls trying to sell you things or lots of people all grabbing photos in front of you. The views are as impressive as the Brooklyn bridge all be it not as easily taken due to the wire fencing. A great walk on a nice day, if you want a more relaxed and quiet walk back definitely give the Manhattan bridge a go.

A raw, underrated NYC gem with unbeatable skyline views! The Manhattan Bridge offers one of the most authentic and breathtaking walks in New York City. While it doesn’t get the same tourist buzz as the Brooklyn Bridge, it delivers amazing views of the Brooklyn Bridge itself, the East River, and the Manhattan skyline — especially during sunset. The pedestrian and bike paths are separate, making it a calmer, more local experience. You’ll feel the rumble of the subway trains passing by, which adds to the gritty charm. The bridge connects Chinatown to DUMBO, so you can enjoy great food and photo ops on either end. Highly recommended if you want less crowds and more real NYC.
Swapnil M — Google review
The Manhattan Bridge is one of the bridges that connects two boroughs in NYC, Manhattan and Brooklyn. It offers transportation for vehicles, the subway, and bicycles/ pedestrians. While in Chinatown, my boyfriend and I decided to look for the Manhattan skyline viewpoint, which is located on the pedestrian path. The pedestrian path is on one side of the bridge, while the bicycle is on the other. Beware though, there are bicyclist that rode on the pedestrian path, and there are many runners that take this route. The bridge is quite long, at over 2 miles. It took us almost 40 minutes to walk across, with stopping periodically to take some pictures. Since it is quite long, make sure you are dedicated to the trek, because once you're in it you either turn back around or push through. It was quite empty on the bridge, with folks walking by at some points but mostly you're by yourself. This makes it a little spooky, especially at times when the subway runs by, the whole bridge shakes and is very loud. You are also caged in so it's pretty safe while walking. There are a few holes in the fence I think created by passerby's at pretty view points. Although the journey was long and my boyfriend and I were quite exhausted by the end, it offered breathtaking views of the city and Brooklyn Bridge, that are worthwhile. Plus, we got to explore Dumbo in Brooklyn afterwards. Overall do this if you want a challenging adventure with unique views of the city.

It's an ok Bridge but after walking over Brooklyn Bridge, Manhattan Bridge feels so-so. The Manhattan Bridge is a suspension bridge that crosses the East River in New York City, connecting Lower Manhattan at Canal Street with Downtown Brooklyn at the Flatbush Avenue Extension. Designed by Leon Moisseiff, the bridge has a total length of 6,855 ft (2,089 m). The bridge is one of four vehicular bridges directly connecting Manhattan Island and Long Island; the nearby Brooklyn Bridge is just slightly farther west, while the Queensboro and Williamsburg bridges are to the north. The bridge was proposed in 1898 and was originally called "Bridge No. 3" before being renamed the Manhattan Bridge in 1902. Foundations for the bridge's suspension towers were completed in 1904, followed by the anchorages in 1907 and the towers in 1908. The Manhattan Bridge opened to traffic on December 31, 1909, and began carrying streetcars in 1912 and New York City Subway trains in 1915. The eastern upper-deck roadway was installed in 1922. After streetcars stopped running in 1929, the western upper roadway was finished two years later. The uneven weight of subway trains crossing the Manhattan Bridge caused it to tilt to one side, necessitating an extensive reconstruction between 1982 and 2004. The Manhattan Bridge was the first suspension bridge to use a Warren truss in its design. It has a main span of 1,480 ft (451 m) between two 350-foot (110 m) suspension towers. The deck carries seven vehicular lanes, four on an upper level and three on a lower level, as well as four subway tracks, two each flanking the lower-level roadway. The span is carried by four main cables, which travel between masonry anchorages at either side of the bridge, and 1,400 vertical suspender cables. Carrère and Hastings designed ornamental plazas at both ends of the bridge, including an arch and colonnade in Manhattan that is a New York City designated landmark. The bridge's use of light trusses influenced the design of other long suspension bridges in the early 20th century.

Stunning view from it, but actually at least 3 hours spent for walking near to subway and rusty metal. Subway view is kind good too, so just firstly take a ride and then decide, do you really need to walk here, or Brooklyn bridge will be enough
Kirill K — Google review
The Manhattan Bridge offers one of the most recognizable views in New York, especially from Washington Street in DUMBO, where the Empire State Building aligns perfectly in the bridge’s arch. It’s a popular spot — often crowded with tourists and photographers — but you can still catch quieter moments early in the day or on weekdays. The bridge itself has a raw, industrial character, with subway trains rattling overhead and wide paths for walking or cycling. It’s not as polished as the Brooklyn Bridge, but that’s part of its appeal — real, lived-in, and very New York.

Nestled in Queens, the Museum of the Moving Image is a hidden treasure dedicated to showcasing the evolution of film, television, and digital media. The museum boasts an extensive collection of artifacts such as historic cameras, iconic costumes, and props from famous films. Visitors can explore the Behind the Screen exhibition featuring over 1,400 rare historical items. Additionally, the museum offers regular screenings of classic and independent films in its own theater.
Awesome experience!! General admission is free from 2 pm to 6 pm EVERY Thursday. It was busy but not overcrowded; no wait time. There's a bevy of interactive apparatus at your disposal that allows hands-on experience. I didn't get a chance to partake in the interactive options since there was a line for it. I loved the Mission Impossible exhibition. I have a newfound respect for Mr Cruise. In addition, the Jim Henson exhibit provided nostalgia and a host of behind-the-scenes work and thought processes that brought the characters we love to life. This museum is also a wonderful experience for kids.
Danak D — Google review
This is a fantastic museum that focuses on the history of moving images, and has a permanent Jim Henson exhibit. We were excited that on our last afternoon in New York City was spent within this museum. Initially, I wanted to check out the Henson related installment, but was surprised by the wealth of movie memorabilia and behind-the-scene work for films. Their extension collection of props, prosthetics, set design, and more brings the magic of the silver screen to guests for a greater understanding and appreciation of the art form. They also have one of the largest collections of movie cameras, old televisions, and even a recreated movie theater for guests to experience. I look forward to visiting this museum when we're back in the area and recommend it to all visitors in Astoria. It'll charm any Jim Henson fan, delight the casual to serious movie-goer, and ignite the passion for films within everyone else.

Went on a Sunday @4pm and absolutely no wait or crowding. Tickets were a bit pricey in my opinion, for $20 per adult I expected the museum to be a lot bigger then it was on the inside. The Jim Henson exhibit was beautiful with a number of small interactive displays. Staff was okay but could have been a bit more welcoming. They offered VR experiences but I was told you needed a separate reservation for that.

Absolutely loved the exhibits of the Museum of the Moving Image during my trip to NYC. The history of captured images was very informative and entertaining. Would definitely recommend making this a spot during your trip - the Jim Henson exhibit was my favorite and I thought the progression of his work was well thought out and executed beautifully.

This is one of the coolest places to visit in NYC. Located in Queens, the museum is home to permanent displays from the origins of film and television. There is a muppets section of the museum and a temporary Mission Impossible exhibit featuring props, costumes, and recorded interviews with Tom Cruise. The museum opens at noon Thursday through Saturday with free admission on Thursdays. If you enjoy movies and appreciate the craftsmanship that goes into producing box office blockbusters, then the Museum of the Moving Image is a must see attraction.

I always love coming here! I have visited a few times. It’s interactive for kids and adults. And there’s great historical pieces too. The Jim Henson exhibit is a favorite of mine! The tickets are not very expensive. I’ve gone on a Saturday and it can get pretty crowded in there stop motion lab or flip book thing, but you can try going at a an earlier time to avoid the crusades. The gift shop also has pretty cool books and things! For me, it’s a must-visit if you’re a New Yorker and want a fun 2-hour-ish outing! It’s definitely not a full-day thing like the AMNH 😅
Jess G — Google review
The museum was very clean and well taken care of. It was all very well organized and there was so much to look at and lots of spaces to explore! The Mission: Impossible exhibit was especially amazing and well crafted! So many things that were seen in the films! From the props to the masks and everything in between! It was especially neat to see the actual clothing that the actors wore in the films. There were also screens placed throughout the exhibition showing scenes from the movies next to their corresponding props. I also enjoyed the quieter corners where a projector showed videos in which Tom Cruise explained more in depth about the stunts and process of creating and filming the Mission: Impossible movies. It was really interesting to listen to his stories and hear the passion with which he speaks about movies and cinema as a whole. Next to the Mission: Impossible exhibit was a permanent exhibit about the history of cinema, including antique film equipment, which was so interesting to see. I loved how interactive this exhibit was. Overall this was a great museum and I'm really glad I visited it.

Review: Museum of the Moving Image – A Cinematic Playground for the Curious I was told the Museum of the Moving Image was one of the best hidden gems in NYC—and for once, the hype was right. Located in Astoria (yes, you’ll need to cross the river—trust me, it’s worth it), this museum is a vibrant, interactive love letter to film, television, and the curious mechanics behind what we see on screen. What surprised me most was how diverse and playful the experience was. This isn’t a “look-but-don’t-touch” kind of museum. It’s more like: “come in, press buttons, dub your own voice over a movie scene, and walk away feeling like you learned something without ever being bored.” Honestly, isn’t that the dream? The exhibits span a wide and fascinating range. I wandered through puppet history (hello, childhood nostalgia), modern film installations, a camera and editing technology gallery that would make any film student weep with joy, and even got to experience a VR film that momentarily made me forget I had errands to run. There’s a real sense of movement and wonder here—very on brand, yes—but it’s not just for cinephiles. Whether you’re a filmmaker in training or just someone who wants to whisper “it’s showtime” dramatically in front of a vintage projector, there’s something here to geek out over. Also, it must be said: this is an excellent date spot. Especially if it’s raining. There’s just enough hands-on interaction to keep things interesting, enough cozy corners to linger in, and enough conversation starters to avoid talking about the weather. In short, Museum of the Moving Image is a dynamic, joyful, thoughtfully curated space that manages to make the history and art of storytelling feel just as exciting as the stories themselves. Don’t sleep on it—just bring someone fun and maybe do your best Muppet impression while you’re at it.

MoMA PS1, located in Long Island City, Queens, is a contemporary art museum that showcases thought-provoking and innovative works. Housed in a former public school building, this museum features over 200,000 contemporary pieces including paintings, sculptures, videos, and installations from the late 1800s to the modern day.
The best way to spend your Summer Friday. GOOD: Amazing DJs, good vibes, good people. This event attracts people from what seems to be all over the city since it’s located in Long Island City. There are two bars, one in the front and one near the exhibits. There are also two or three food trucks. Lots of people, but in a good way. Everyone was respectful, dancing and having a good time. BAD: Drinks are a little pricy ($12 for a canned drink — not the worst but not ideal). The bathrooms are also portables. Make sure you buy a ticket beforehand, I showed up at 7/7:30 and they were sold out for tickets at the door.

My first visit here and really enjoyed it. The current exhibits are both thought provoking, and entertaining and they deal with consumerism, waste and sexuality. There’s also an exhibit room with a video and head sets about.the Aids epidemic in the 80s which was very informative. My favorite part was the gift shop. Pretty pricy which is the usual with museum stores but totally worth a visit for unique and cool gifts for yourself or someone else!

MoMA PS1 in Long Island City is one of the most interesting and creative museums I’ve been to in New York. The building itself used to be a public school, and you can still feel that history in the layout and the old classrooms that have been turned into exhibition spaces. One of the coolest hidden gems inside is the original boiler room you can actually go down and see the huge heating system that once powered the school. It’s a mix of industrial history and modern art all in one spot, and it really adds to the whole experience. The museum always has very unique and thought-provoking installations that go beyond the traditional idea of an art gallery. Every time I visit, there’s something completely new to explore. The bookshop inside has a really nice selection of art books, design magazines, and creative gifts you don’t usually find elsewhere. The café is also a great place to take a break the coffee and small bites are surprisingly good, and the atmosphere fits the artistic vibe of the place. Overall, MoMA PS1 feels like a blend of history, creativity, and community. Definitely worth spending a few hours wandering through.

Their WarmUp parties are fantastic. Multiple DJs, great and interesting crowd, all very respectful and fun. Highly recommend coming here on a warm Friday night. The museum itself is not worth coming for, in my view.

I passed by the museum on a sunny day - there is minimal shade outside, so the sun was burning down. Much of the art piece are quite modern and abstract. There are graffiti on the walls of the staircase and creaking floors in the hall. The open space room is among the most peaceful, but quite humid
Andrew L — Google review
I loved the MoMA experience! The building itself is beautiful — it used to be an old school that was transformed into a museum. The art on display is very contemporary, with photos, videos, and immersive sensory installations. If you’re looking for an interesting and different kind of art experience, this place is definitely for you. It was free for me as a NYC resident — they simply asked for my ZIP code, and my three guests were also able to enter for free (though I’m not sure if that’s always the case). There are small lockers available to store backpacks and handbags. The museum closes around 6:00 PM. I wouldn’t recommend this exhibition for kids, as some artworks include explicit sexual images or representations.
Victorandmanuela — Google review
We arrived a bit late so everything was kind of closing we tried and see some exhibitions and I found the short films truly beautiful, I think they gave a really strong message and made me feel a lot of emotions. We could completely see much more because a lot of the exhibitions were close but overall it was very nice.

When you're back in Manhattan, don't miss the chance to experience the Roosevelt Island Tram. It offers a fun and unique way to take in the city's skyline. All you need is a Metrocard with sufficient funds for the $2.75 one-way fare to enjoy this aerial ride.

Horrible long lines and awful views unless you get bear a window. It's actually an essential transportation link for people who live or work there so it's not only unfair to clog it up especially at rush hours, I believe that genuine residents really don't want tourists to use it. If you want a joy ride go to a fun fair and if you want a view of Manhattan take the F train there or go to Hoboken instead

Vessel, located in Hudson Yards, New York City, is a striking and heavily photographed attraction that has quickly become an iconic landmark. Designed by renowned British architect Thomas Heatherwick, this honeycomb structure consists of 154 interlocking flights of stairs totaling 1776 steps. Climbing the Vessel offers visitors stunning views of The Big Apple and nearby attractions such as Hudson Yards, The High Line, and Chelsea Piers.
This is a fun activity for all ages. Wear comfortable shoes and appropriate clothing. Nice views and a cool breeze. The cost is reasonable. Unfortunately you cannot go to the top and some of the better viewing areas are covered in netting.

Such an awesome experience! If you're like me and don't really want to spend a lot on seeing NYC from higher buildings, this is a great alternative! Even though it's a couple of stairs there's also elevators, thr view is amazing from the top and the staff was organized and kind. The tickets were affordable for $10 each. Come visit!
A — Google review
Though an eye catching structure (not enough to call it a building) I found it overpriced to go in since the top floors were closed and most of it is wrapped in wire. The elevator goes every 15 min and takes 5 people, you will be using the stairs unless you want to wait standing. Overall $18.5 to move up and down the stairs and not being able to reach the top feels deceiving. Better seen from afar. Architecture is great and well crafted.

Great design. Beautiful honeycomb-shaped design structure that you can admire either at a distance or up close. Lots of stairs and sometimes you gotta go down first before you go up. Book your tickets in advance, slightly more by the gate and dynamic pricing in effect. (Time of day.)

The Vessel is one of the most unique and eye-catching landmarks in New York. Its honeycomb-like structure made of interconnecting staircases has a futuristic, almost mesmerizing look. The copper-colored exterior reflects the light beautifully — it looks stunning from every angle. It’s located in Hudson Yards and really stands out as a modern piece of art and architecture. Even if you don’t go up the stairs, just seeing it up close is impressive. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area!
Miryam A — Google review
The building seemed super interesting. This is at the end of high line. You get a really good walk around the city. Sometimes there will be lightening alerts in the area. And during that time they do not allow people inside the building.

The New York Hall of Science, located in Flushing Meadows Corona Park, is a former 1964 World's Fair pavilion transformed into an interactive science and technology museum. With over 450 hands-on exhibits covering physics, chemistry, biology, math, and more, it offers an engaging experience for curious minds of all ages. Visitors can explore the human body, build robots, learn about mirrors and prisms, program rovers to explore terrain or participate in wheelchair races with different wheel set-ups.
A Must Visit for Curious Minds of All Ages 🧪✨ What an awesome experience! The New York Hall of Science is like stepping into a giant playground for the brain, colorful, interactive, and full of surprises around every corner. From the moment we walked in, there was an electric sense of curiosity in the air. Whether you're five or fifty, there's something here to spark your imagination. We got hands on with everything from building rockets and solving puzzles to exploring how light, sound, and motion work in the real world. The exhibits are designed to make you think and smile. One of our favorite parts was the Design Lab, where we got to tinker, build, and test our own creations. The staff were super friendly and always ready to help or explain the science behind what we were doing. And don’t even get me started on the giant connected playground outside which was a total hit with the kids (and yes, the grown ups too). It’s a perfect blend of learning and fun, with just enough challenge to keep everyone engaged without feeling overwhelmed. Whether you're a teacher, a parent, or just a curious explorer, this place is a gem. Highly recommend spending a full day here. You’ll leave feeling inspired, maybe a little tired, and definitely smarter than when you arrived.
Anais G — Google review
I visited thie science center twice and both times I was disappointed. The only redeeming exhibit is the new City works. It's really cool and I've never seen anything like it. Realistically, it's not worth visiting just for one exhibit. The Liberty science center in New Jersey is significantly better and I would easily recommend it over this one. My final gripe is with the extra $6 to visit the outdoor kids playground. Why not include it in the ticket price? It's just a playground.

Went during community hours which consisted of reserving Friday morning for after 2pm. I have not been here in a long long time since elementary school, and let me tell you the renovations look great. My toddler had an amazing time with all the interactive section within the hall. From the bubble room to the big interactive screen where you’re able to play with the trees and animals. Had a blast and lots of fun, highly recommend for kids of a younger age.
Enrique A — Google review
It was a great time for the kids. Bubble station is a great place cause kids love bubbles. There are a good amount of different types of bubble stations to play Went on a Friday with the free admission so figured would be a lot of kids. The ball table where you put them into the tubes was maybe worst experience cause 3 kids at the top were hogging the table keeping the balls from reaching the other children. But it’s a great place for kids to learn and have fun.
CreativeKid90 — Google review
I visited the New York Hall of Science with my daughter and wife, and we had a great time. The hands-on exhibits kept her engaged, especially the bubble area and the Science Playground. There’s a lot of space to move around, and the interactive displays make science feel fun and accessible. As an adult, I appreciated the design of some of the older exhibits like Mathematica—it’s a little dated, but nostalgic in a good way. The whole place feels geared more toward kids, maybe up to age 10 or so, but it's still worth a visit if you're curious and enjoy interactive learning. It’s not a huge museum, but we spent about 2–3 hours there and felt like we saw most of it without rushing. Overall, it’s a fun, educational spot, especially if you have kids in tow.
Keldwin P — Google review
I had fun on this tour through the history of science. This place which oddly sits near the heart of Corona a literal trap for Hispanic crowd fests and parties from the locals boasts a pretty good record when it comes to educating the young minds of tomorrow. Plenty of art exhibits and interactive displays for kids in order to ensure everyone is staying captivated and learning which is the priority of this place. Fridays they have free admission until 5 pm so I suggest you go before then and for college students is pretty much pay what you want. They do have a nice gift shop at the end of the tour filled with trinkets, merchandise and cool sci fi toys gizmos and gadgets alike which I recommend checking out before leaving. The tours are also pretty cool as they explain the in depth history behind theories, relative nuisances, modern technology that exists to help humanity etc. I love this place despite being 21 and honestly if you have a kid I would recommend checking this place out.

The Louis Armstrong House Museum in Queens offers guided tours of the jazz trumpeter's furnished house and gardens, providing a glimpse into his life and legacy. The museum showcases an extensive collection of personal items, including recordings, scrapbooks, photographs, vintage tapes, trumpets, awards, and more. This historic site was gifted to New York City by Armstrong's spouse Lucille Wilson and has been designated as a National Historic Landmark.
What a treat! I'm a life long new Yorker who grew up in the bronx and never knew this museum existed . Not a big blues music fan the only song I knew of Louis Armstrong was a wonderful world. My wife and I visited this museum. We began across the street at the Armstrong center. It's not huge but has a lot of memorabilia of his life and music. There are listening devices to use to experience his music .I remember the tickets for the house museum was sold out but a black American man was very kind and was able to add us to the house tour. This gentleman was also a tour guide. while he stated he was now a manager and had not guided for a while ,he was amazing as he got back into his groove. We got out in front of the house and there were another tour in front of us He explained the house had add ons since his death and the death of his wife later. But the house next door is a story in itself the women died and left her house to the museum. That story was moving. As we entered it was tight and we started in the living room. Left the way his wife left it a moment in time. Upstairs was really tight because he used a motor chair to get up.but the most emotional was his Upstairs office as the tour guide played the recording of Armstrongs voice. I watch as man openly cried. You could hear a pin drop. The kitchen was supposed to be the kitchen of the future. And the bedroom where he died in his sleep was pretty much left stuck in time. The story of his house keeper and his wife last conversation with her is something to hear.

We visited this black centric establishment on Friday, August 12, 2022. I purchased tickets online in advance prior to. This business is located in the Queens borough of New York. There was a life-size standing figure of Louis Armstrong right outside of the museum. Upon early arrival, we checked in and verified a reservation with the staff. We had to show our proof of vaccination, which was sufficient. In the front, they do have a gift shop area where they sell various items pertaining to Louis Armstrong. It was a bit early when we arrived, so we were allowed to view the exhibit in the back room. The exhibit featured photos of Louis Armstrong with his wife and other celebrities. Also there was actual clothing of Louis Armstrong including his famous bathrobe. Also they had his actual trumpet that he played on display. Outside of the museum, there’s a beautiful sprawling garden which is full of greenery and flowers. There is also a small fountain with a patio area. We learned the garden is now utilized for musical and community events. All of the staff was nice, professional, and welcoming. Once the tour began, we entered Louis Armstrong‘s house which has a really nice brick stoop. We were not allowed to take photographs inside of the home. Therefore, I don’t have any photos to post of the interior out of respect for the museum and Louis Armstrong. All of the furnishings in the home were simply beautiful. There were many priceless Louis Armstrong artifacts in the home he collected and was bestowed. Some of the pieces were even timeless and would be relevant to this day. The house was not very big, but it did have a lot of treasures. The bottom floor had a sprawling den with beautiful beige and neutral furnishings. It included hints of glam with opulent chandeliers. The bathroom downstairs was fully mirrored and had touches of gold. There’s also a picture of Louis Armstrong in his famous bathrobe in this bathroom. The tour guide stated that he could see his smile from everywhere in the room. The tour guide was very professional and knowledgeable. She provided us fun facts on Louis Armstrong. In several of the rooms we were able to hear recordings of Louis Armstrong and his wife Lucille. They stayed together until his death in the 1970s. The kitchen was also very beautiful! It had blue laminate wood cabinets, a 6 burner gas stove, and mini special touches. Also they had wonderful unique custom-made things. This included a custom-made stove and refrigerator. The dining room area had an Asian inspired theme. It also featured a lot of mirrored elements. It was well put together and maintained. The tour guide stated the Armstrongs loved to entertain and have people in their home. They also had a small breakfast nook on this floor. A lot of their rooms had matching elements and themes. The tour guide did show us the stair chair that Louis Armstrong used to get up and down the stairs. She stated this was due to him having had a pretty serious heart attack after several prior to. Once we entered upstairs, the master bedroom was very nice and featured a prayer area for Lucille. The restroom up here was also very sprawling and nice. It had touches of glamorous elements. This included nice chandeliers, nice wallpaper, and other elements. The best room in the house was definitely Luis‘s den. He did a lot of his recordings and organized archives of his music in here. We also heard recordings of Louis Armstrong playing the trumpet in his room and speaking about his catalog of archives. He stressed the importance of being open to embracing different types of music and people. The tour guide stated that Louis Armstrong fully embraced his community, the people, and the place that is Corona Queens. He was a man of his neighborhood and enjoyed touring the world and spreading his music. He seemed to always have a smile on his face with a joyous bright personality. I would recommend this museum to everyone in New York that would like to visit. The museum will be opening an education center across the street with a jazz venue in Fall 2022.

It was an extreme pleasure and opportunity to have a private tour of the Louis Armstrong House museum in Queens. The interior Vista Armstrong's home is literally a throwback in time to the last moment he and his wife occupied the space. To be able to walk through their living room the kitchen and their bedroom was literally one of the most amazing opportunities I've ever been afforded. The Queens County Farm Museum is a historic colonial farmhouse situated on 47 acres of sustainable land in Floral Park. It offers educational programs, tours, and a variety of activities for visitors. As one of the longest operating farms in America, it provides a peaceful and educational experience with its petting zoo, tractor rides, and an ice cream parlor. This working farm is the only one left in New York City, making it a unique destination for those seeking a taste of old-school Americana.
My first visit to this place, it was a fun and beautiful place, and the event that was inside was very fun and beautiful and suitable for families and those who have children from the age of 6 to 14 approximately. Please inquire about the permitted height to play before buying tickets. Everything was beautiful and wonderful, and I enjoyed it a lot. All the employees and the owners of the event were respectful and well-mannered. I liked this place. I recommend going to it for families.

This is a wonderful farm and great place to send your kids to camp. We’ve sent our twins during spring break and for two weeks this summer. They do so many great projects, they pick vegetables, make tea, and they even made beautiful tie dye shirts! They learn about the animals on the farm too and it’s such a great experience for city kids to be outside in nature all day! The staff is wonderful and Laura, the director is incredible! Highly recommend!

Tucked away in Queens, the Queens County Farm Museum is a truly special place that feels a world away from the city's hustle and bustle. It's a fantastic spot for a quiet afternoon stroll, a family outing, or a fun day with friends. The farm has a rich history, with roots going all the way back to 1697. As one of New York's last remaining working historical farms, it's a great place to connect with nature and see what life was like in the past. One of the best parts of the farm is getting to see the animals. There's a wide variety of livestock, and you can even buy feed to give the goats and sheep. While some special events require tickets, general admission to the grounds is often free, making it a great budget-friendly activity. Whether you’re looking to relax in a serene setting, teach the kids about farming, or simply enjoy a beautiful day outdoors, the Queens County Farm Museum is an absolute gem. It’s a wonderful resource that brings a piece of country life right into the city.

You wouldn’t think there was such a quaint place here. Came at 3 PM on a random Tuesday spontaneously. No events. Saw chickens, two steeds, and some sheep and alpaca. The feed is affordable like $3 a bag and you can feed the alpacas. They were so cute but when we went back at the end it seems the staff was closing and no alpacas around. So I definitely recommend going early. They usually run out of eggs by 11 they said. Hayride was bumpy and probably more fun with an educational lead or a big group. But the fact that this exists and it is free to walk around with the kids is beautiful. Only wish there was more guidance and more farm things in the store itself. Maybe the details need a formal school trip instead of just a family visit. Would come back for strawberry season. The corn maize wasn’t open yet but it looks great.

We had such a fun day at Queens Farm with the kids! We started off at the pumpkin patch, surrounded by rows of bright orange pumpkins — it was so pretty and full of fall vibes. The kids loved picking their favorite pumpkins and running around the field. Next, we went to feed the llamas, which was such a hit! You can buy food at the farm to feed them, and the kids had the best time watching the llamas munch right from their hands. After that, we checked out the chickens, pigs, goats, and cows — the kids were amazed to see them up close. There’s also a hayride that takes visitors around the farm, but we missed it this time since the last one was at 4 p.m. (definitely going to plan for that next time!). Before leaving, we stopped by the farm store, and I highly recommend grabbing their apple cider, fresh donuts, and roasted corn — everything tasted amazing! 🍎🌽🍩 Such a wholesome day filled with laughter, learning, and fall fun. 🍁

A worker named "Laura" who was wearing beige/tan outfit with blonde hair in a ponytail and glasses was disrespectful towards me. I went to the halloween festival with my kids and they had a long bouncy house at this event. I was at the end of the bouncy house waiting for my children to climb up the bouncy house blocks to reach the slide, they are younger so they were struggling a bit. In the meantime 2 older boys went down the slide and found an opening to go back in which I guess wasn't permitted. That's when this worker Laura comes up to me with a harsh scolding tone and said "your children can't go back in, I said "those aren't my children" I can tell she was very upset and you would think she would stop being hostile towards me but she precedes to scold me and says "what are doing here anyway?" I say "I am watching my children" she still is so angry and her voice is raising and she then says "why didn't you stop them?" I said "those aren't my children I'm watching my children, they're struggling going up" and she says "just because your kids are here doesn't mean you get to stand here" I know there are other parents that were just here, the slide is the end of the bounce house and the person in the front of the bouncy house specifically said that the parents can go on the side since their is a height restriction to go in the bounce house so we can collect our kids, it's on an open field not a gated area with a walkway for the kids to know where to find the parents if they are young. She then with even more of an attitude says "you don't need to be here waiting" I was shocked and felt that she was upset she couldn't scold me for these older kids slipping back in and talked to me as if I worked for her. I said "so that's how you feel?" and she doubled down and said "yes that's how I feel" I then took a picture of her and asked for her name just in case she would give me a fake name. She said "Laura" then with arrogance that she wouldn't get in trouble looked at me and said "I'll walk you there to speak to the director" the smugness of her face "lets walk and speak to the director" I then gathered my kids to come out early and they cried but she was so rude, after I asked her name their were more parents waiting on the side and she said nothing to them then she scurried away found 2 workers who would be the next victims of her wrath and started yelling at the 2 workers and pointing at the slide area that now they had to block so the kids don't go in there. The odd ending is that the 2 older boys stayed in the bouncy house while me and my younger kids were punished. I've been to the farm multiple times and never had an issue and when we left that spot of the farm we found the most kindest people ever, but Laura and possibly "her friend" the director that she dragged in her mess are bad eggs

I organized a field trip here, and it was amazing! The staff are so kind and even getting in touch before the trip was so easy. The staff are so accommodating and amazing! We did the animal adventures program. The tour was a blast! We went on a hay ride and learned about animals on the farm. Each student got a chance to churn butter and eat some crackers. We got to feed the sheep and look at the other animals like Pumpkin the pig, the chickens, and the alpacas! It was an amazing experience!

Governors Island, a 172-acre former US Army base, is now a year-round public park accessible by ferry from Manhattan and Brooklyn. The island features forts, historic buildings, and green open spaces reminiscent of a small New England town. Visitors can enjoy biking along the waterfront, art shows, concerts, festivals, and family programs.
A peaceful escape just a short ferry ride away, perfect for a relaxed date or weekend hangout. Renting bikes is a fun way to explore the open spaces and scenic views, and there are plenty of cute spots to grab food or drinks. It feels calm but still full of things to do — from lounging in hammocks to walking by the water. A great mix of nature, good eats, and a little adventure without leaving the city.

It was awesome. I felt like I had traveled back in time. The organizers paid major attention to detail and made the experience smooth and enjoyable, from check-in to the time I left. My only suggestion is regarding the baskets for 2. There should have been 2 cookies and 2 pastries (one for each person). I'm already planning for next year.

What an experience ! I highly recommend to do it. It is a little adventure to go and spend the day over there. First you have to take the boat (the public one at $2,90 the trip) After you can spend the day in an empty "city". It looks a bit like a "ghost town". You can rent a city bike over there and just enjoy the day without any cars around you with some amazing photo spots of NYC/status of liberty in the background. Follow this account if you want to discover more fun activities to do in NYC, the Big 🍎. Victor

I visited Governors Island after some friends recommended it and booked us the QC NY Spa experience. Honestly, I’d never even heard of Governors Island before they mentioned it! We arrived at the Battery Maritime Building at Slip 7 just before 10 a.m., and the ferry line was already long. Pro tip: if you have a QC Spa reservation, the ferry is free. Boats run every 30 minutes, and the ride is only about 7 minutes, perfect for anyone like me who gets seasick, since it’s literally just across the water. With about 15 minutes to spare before our spa check-in, we wandered over to Castle Williams (aka the Haunted Fort). Built in 1811 as part of New York’s harbor defenses, it later served as a military prison and picked up a reputation for ghostly sightings and eerie stories. Rangers told us to come back at 4 p.m. for the historical artillery demonstration, where they show how cannons were loaded and fired back in the 1800s. Unfortunately, a heavy rainstorm cut our plans short, so we just lined up early for the ferry back. I was bummed we didn’t get to explore more of the island. I spotted food trucks and bike rentals that I’d love to check out next time. That’s okay though, it just gives me the perfect reason to come back and explore this historic and unique island a little deeper.

Governors Island is simply breathtaking — a true hidden gem of New York that combines history, nature, and pure beauty in the most wonderful way. The moment you step off the ferry, you feel like you’ve entered a completely different world, far removed from the noise and rush of Manhattan. What makes the island so special is its unique blend of wide open green spaces, quiet shaded corners, and stunning views of the Statue of Liberty and the skyline. The natural beauty here is remarkable: rolling meadows, tree-lined paths, colorful flowers, and art installations that blend perfectly with the landscape. It’s the kind of place where you just want to slow down, breathe deeply, and take it all in. Walking or biking around the island is pure joy. Everywhere you look, there’s something beautiful — from the old historic buildings to the peaceful waterfront. The atmosphere is calm and inviting, and you can always find a spot to sit by yourself and simply admire the view. In the middle of a bustling metropolis, Governors Island feels like a green sanctuary. It’s where nature, history, and relaxation meet, and it leaves you with the feeling that you’ve discovered something truly special.

Great spot to have a get-away for a day then go to Red Hook and have a great evening. Went for the Jazz Festival with a bunch of people dressed as 1930s flappers and it was great! A bunch of vendors and a good time. Also, Citibikes or you can bring your own.

The opening of Eco Art on Island – II, organized by the Taiwanese American Arts Council, turned House 17 and its lawns into a meeting ground of ecology, art, and community. Twenty artists explored resilience through recycled and natural materials, cityscapes, and reflections on technology. Outdoors, Wang Guo Ren’s Deer God: Migration Trajectory – New York Chapter, built from driftwood and paint, stood as a spectral guardian recalling Taiwan’s sika deer and colonial history. Nearby, John Chia-Hsuan Kuo’s Gaia Formosa – The Elegant Lady honored Taiwan’s women and plants, weaving symbolism of grassroots resistance and democratic awakening into ceramic form. Indoors, paintings of urban greenery, stark black-and-white photographs, and clay sound vessels by Eugenie Chao carried viewers from memory to ecology, touch to listening. At noon, cellist Shu-Wei Tseng and violinist Laura Thompson filled the gallery with a lyrical duet, their music mingling with sculptural presences. Later, Julia Hsiao-Chu Hsia’s dance performance extended the theme into embodied movement. On the porch, visitors shared fruit and pastries, reinforcing the event’s atmosphere of conviviality. Eco Art on Island – II offered more than an exhibition: it was a moment of gathering, reminding us that ecological reflection thrives in community, art, and shared rituals of care.

Nestled near Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens, the Queens Botanical Garden spans 39 acres and originated as a 5-acre exhibit at the 1939 World's Fair. Over time, it has expanded to become a diverse botanical oasis featuring themed gardens such as the Annual Garden, Compost Site, meadow, arboretum, Bee Garden, Cherry Circle and Four Seasons Border.
It’s a very nice botanical garden if you set your expectations properly. If you didn’t see yet NYBG or BBG or Snug Harbor garden in Staten Island, visit them first. However if you’ve done these bigger botanical gardens already, QBG is really good one to check out. Large parking lot had ample empty spots on June afternoon weekend. Rose garden was top attraction for me. They certainly have more space to arrange more thematic gardens to make the QBG more competitive (for example, BBG is much more feature-packed).

Decent but not fantastic garden. Nice walk. I think 30 to 60 minutes is a good time unless you plan to roll out the picnic. Worth going if you’re in the area? Yeah. Worth a special trip? I don’t think so.

I had my proposal in the Wedding Garden at Queen’s Botanical, and everything turned out beautifully. Kamaria was incredibly helpful in setting everything up and making sure the whole experience went smoothly. We chose the Lovebirds Package, which included admission for 20 guests, parking for up to 5 cars, and 2 customized chalkboards with any message I wanted. The boards came out looking very professional. The package also comes with a bottle of wine, but since I don’t drink alcohol, they were happy to substitute it with a bottle of apple cider, which was a thoughtful accommodation. The setup was amazing, they had the big “Marry Me” letters with fresh flower petals spread across the floor. You can choose to have your proposal at the Gazebo or Pergola (I picked the Pergola), and both spots are gorgeous. The Wedding Garden itself is stunning, with so many great photo opportunities by the Pergola, Gazebo, water features, and greenery. Kamaria was also up front during the proposal to make sure it was a private event and that no one else entered the space. Overall, everything went perfectly. If you’re planning a proposal or special event, I highly recommend Queen’s Botanical Garden; it’s a beautiful, memorable setting and the staff makes sure every detail is taken care of.

Domino Park is a 6-acre green space located within the former Domino Sugar Refinery development, just north of the Williamsburg Bridge. The park opened in 2018 and pays homage to its industrial past with features like turquoise shipping cranes and an elevated Artifact Walk offering views of the Manhattan skyline. Kids can enjoy a factory-inspired playground with interactive climbing structures and water features for cooling off in the summer. The playground incorporates reclaimed wood from the original refinery walls and encourages imaginative play.

When I think of park I usually think of open space with playground equipment, tons of fresh air and lovely views all the way around and that is exactly what I get when I came here. My first time being there yesterday and let me just say the night time life is at the very least 100x better then the day. The city looks beautiful with the serene and vibrant colors entrancing the landscape, the atmosphere and architecture of the Brooklyn bridge skyline followed by the countless boats, yachts and cruises that stumble in silence from envy. You can jog, run a marathon, sprint, walk, climb, kick, heal, meditate anything to your hearts consent. I love all the different parts to the place because it’s all spread out and makes the place ever vast and wroth exploring. I felt so calm and relaxed chilling on the longe chairs feeling the fresh sea air breath across my face and the stillness of the waves and water gently syncing with the rhythm of my heart. Honestly I never really felt more at peace. This is als a romantic place to bring someone as there are plenty of beautiful spaces to profess your love for someone and even moreover bring friends and family and just party on!! #YOLO AM I RIGHT!!!!

I planned our first warm summer evening in Williamsburg at Domino Park. And we were not disappointed at all. On a cloudless evening, we settled down at the waterfront with our Neapolitan pizzas from Roberta's Pizza around the corner and enjoyed a perfect sunset. The view of Manhattan is magnificent. The sugar refinery and the old cranes are perfect Instagram subjects. Street musicians play throughout the park, and on certain weekend evenings, there are chilling DJ sets on the waterfront. There are also yoga classes starting early in the Morning which you can book.

Beautiful well kept a park, completely ruined by dog owners. If you want to have a nice picnic with your family after work go somewhere different. Dogs are kept off the leash in the fields even though they are next to an actual dog park. Went by yesterday and had to fight off a golden retriever and and a fat corgi. I know not exactly scary breeds but I should be allowed to eat with my family with out the constant harassment of unleashed dogs.

Lovely place, warning it's absolutely scorching hot these days so please bring some water if you're gonna walk around! You can go all the way around the lake in around 30-35 minutes ish in the normal walk, and get to see tons of fantastic birds. Some of them hanging in groups on trees, or by the lake. It is well preserved as well. However you will likely only see birds by the lake and not for most of the path, so beware of that!

We have been coming here for many years! It is very maintained. Once you're inside, you don't even feel as if you're in Queens. The wildlife a views are majestic! Also it's a nice long walk, if you decide to go all the way around. I try to go when the sun is strong, it deters the mosquitoes. If not bring some repellent. It's a wonderful place! Don't miss it!

Very nice hike through a gorgeous slice of wilderness located close to the city. When I went, it was raining and there weren't any other people around. We hiked not only the given trail but a little further out as we didn't realize we were deviating that much from it. The trail itself is very easy and not long at all. It will take you over a small natural bridge in between the bay and the ocean which makes for great winds, both of the summer breeze kind and the typhoon kind. After all that, a simple 10 minute bus ride to the nearby town to enjoy fresh sandwiches from the deli or good pizza is a must. There are multiple picnic areas available throughout.

The park features playgrounds, hiking trails, basketball and handball courts, as well as an adventure course with a zip line that's sure to excite tweens. This free course includes team-building challenges like low- and high-ropes courses, climbing walls, trust-fall stations, swings, nets, balance platforms, and more.
I grew up near this park over 50 years ago. I’ve only been back a couple of times since then. While visiting friends we went there to take a walk. We mostly followed the outermost trails and walked 3.5 miles. Parking on a July Tuesday afternoon was easy with plenty of spaces but I could imagine it fills up on summer weekends. We tried to stay on the dirt trails as much as we could but also walked on some of the paved trails. We only had one short steep hill. The dirt trails are narrow for walking one behind the other. The paved trails are wide for three or four people to walk together. It’s a great park to visit and brings back memories of my childhood.

Bohemian Hall & Beer Garden is a historic establishment in the Ditmars neighborhood of Astoria, dating back to 1919. It continues the tradition of a social gathering place where visitors can savor a wide array of beers and authentic Eastern European dishes amidst music and laughter. The beer garden offers a family-friendly atmosphere with ample picnic tables and trees, making it an ideal spot for all ages to enjoy Czech beer and grilled bratwurst.
Service excellent! Food… the giant pretzel was awesome! I prefer the brown mustard but it comes with beer cheese. I had the veggie burger and very much enjoyed it. The veggie patty fell apart but it was very good and the side salad was a perfect size. My friends ordered the crispy chicken sandwich with fries and the kiobasa sausage (2 other choices of sausage, bratwurst or andouille) on a pretzel roll (or rye/hot dog bun). Apparently it was pretty good. Very family friendly, kids everywhere. We sat outdoors on a nice day in mid October and it was so perfect. They have a lot of seating inside as well. So many choices for beer! As a wine, cocktail, can drinker. I had an iced tea Sun Cruiser, I live there b/c they are NOT carbonated. Also had a lime Truly Tequila, I liked that it’s not sweet. Then the Blue Oasis, I’m a sucker for blue drinks, feeling like I’m in vacay. 🤣. Very good, touch of sweet, I wish it had been a little stronger, but I really enjoyed it.

Spacious beer garden with plenty of open-air seating, perfect for sunny days. Kids friendly. Live music. Great variety of beers on tap. Solid food options round out the experience—ideal for a laid-back afternoon or casual group hangout.

A great beer hall with a selection of classic food. We love coming here, it’s one of the best places to drink in Astoria. It gets a little hot and crowded in summer, but it’s a delightful visit. When the tap lines are freshly cleaned, they can also put some exceptional beers out - they are one of the few spots with Czechvar in the city. If you have a sporting event you wanna watch or you just wanna hang out with friends, it’s a good shout!

Open space in queens? Oh come on. Yup this is the place. Music, food beer, in a huge outdoor space. Get the kielbasa with the pretzel bun, and the pretzel. The beers are on draft so you can’t go wrong. We got there at 5pm on a midweek night, I’d come back in a heartbeat!

I visited here during the Czech and Slovak Heritage Festival in 2023. I tried the delicious pretzels and hot dogs, which I highly recommend

Amazing outdoors beer garden with good drinks and great hot dogs. On some nights they have awesome silent discos. It's a casual and safe environment.
Deeksha S — Google review
Although it’s a nice place, our experience was disappointing. I ordered a large Guinness but was served a small one, and the staff still charged me for the large size. The Czech beer could have been good, but it had a stale, off taste, which suggested the taps aren’t cleaned regularly. The food, although presented as “Czech,” had nothing to do with real Czech cuisine and was mediocre at best. On top of that, a 20% service charge was automatically added, even though the staff were unfriendly and unhelpful.

Yesterday we had a casual gathering for my son’s 40th birthday 🥳 The staff was great the food was delicious. Greg who supervised our every need was fantastic. Kind, friendly, and attentive. Thank you to all the staff for making our celebration a happy and memorable experience.

Such a beautiful view of the city! The climb to the bar entrance was great for photo ops. I expected a classier experience once inside. Drinks were served in plastic cups which I totally get for a weekend club vibe. However I was there on a very chill weekday. There wasn’t really a cocktail list to choose from so just winged it. My friend’s mocktail was overpriced and just ok. My drink was blah. Design wise, there’s an opportunity for more seating inside. All in all, good place to grab a quick beer or glass of wine and take some pics.

I can't rate anything other than the atmosphere, as we just walked in to check the place out. Located in a huge old water tank on top of the new Arlo Hotel (the former Williamsburg Hotel), the 360° view is just amazing!
Steve M — Google review
Had a great time hanging with friends at the rooftop bar at the Arlo Hotel in Williamsburg. The DJ kept the vibe going, the crowd was lively, and the views—especially of the iconic water tower—were absolutely stunning. Drinks are on the pricier side, but the setting and skyline backdrop make it worth it. Other guests rave about the stylish design, energetic atmosphere, and perfect photo ops. It gets busy, so arriving early is a good idea. If you're looking for a trendy rooftop experience in Williamsburg, the Arlo delivers.

The pool area is closed for winter season. Inside the rooftop, you get drinks in plastic glass and bear in a can. This is something that you don’t expect. The bar on the top is very small and virtually don’t exist. The dance floor is nice and views are great :)

Amazing views!! But drinks are definitely overpriced
Angie C — Google review
Amazing view! Pretty private. If you’re not staying at the hotel, you have to walk down (2 stories) outside to use the restroom. Very limited menu and $21 for an incredible, but smallest version of an espresso martini served in a solo cup.
Mariska C — Google review
We were there for a ticketed party, and all if the drinks tasted/felt like they were alcohol-free. I watched the bartender make three rounds of tequila drinks for my group, and we all concluded each time that there didn't taste or smell any tequila in our drinks, and I felt not even the slightest effect from my drinks. I also heard at least 5 strangers complain among themselves that their $20 drinks seemed to have no alcohol.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art, located in Central Park, New York City, is a world-renowned museum housing over two million pieces of art from various time periods and cultures. From Egyptian hieroglyphics to European masterpieces by artists like Picasso and Van Gogh, the museum offers a comprehensive look at human civilization.
Finally had enough time to spend some quality time at this incredible collection of art and history. No way to fully describe the size of this place.... It is MASSIVE and loaded up and very overwhelming. I would imagine one would be easily able to spend a few days here, if you were looking and absorbing the art at a normal pace. I also went to check out the rooftop that is closing down soon for a few years - lovely view and no wait before noon on the Sunday that I went. I really loved the musical instrument rooms.

Wonderful experience. When you get here especially on the weekends there is a long line but rest assured it goes very fast but I don't mind for security sake. There are discounts for new Yorkers and veterans seniors. As soon as you walk in you will be amazed with the elaborate staircase and walking in on the first floor welcome to ancient Egypt. Explore the continents Africa Europe Asia..... my wife and I enjoy it I like the old houses inside she likes the paintings. And a cafe on the first floor and a restaurant on top I believe 5th. It's a oasis in the middle of the big apple 🍎 ..

Visiting The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City was an absolutely unforgettable experience! The museum is breathtaking in both size and scope, offering a rich and diverse collection that spans centuries and cultures. Every exhibit is thoughtfully curated, allowing visitors to feel fully immersed in art and history. From the stunning European paintings to the intricate Egyptian artifacts, each gallery offers something new and awe-inspiring. The museum’s architecture is just as impressive as the art itself, with grand halls and beautiful details that make exploring a true pleasure. The staff and volunteers are welcoming and knowledgeable, enhancing the experience even further. Whether you’re an art lover or just looking for a cultural adventure, The Met is a must-visit destination that leaves a lasting impression. I can’t wait to return!

⭐️ Incredible World-Class Museum in the Heart of NYC. I visited The Metropolitan Museum of Art and bought my ticket at the entrance. It was busy with tourists, but once you step inside the galleries the museum is so huge that the crowds spread out quickly. The exhibits are absolutely incredible — Egyptian mummies, sarcophagi, medieval knights, full suits of armor, ancient weapons, paintings, sculptures, musical instruments, and so much more. The collection is massive and honestly mind-blowing. At some point we were so tired from walking that we had to stop, because this place is endless. It really feels like stepping into ancient Egypt, medieval Europe, and world history all inside Manhattan. There are clean restrooms, plenty of places to rest, and a nice gift shop on the way out. A must-visit NYC museum. Highly recommended! 📸🇺🇸

It was my very first time at The MET and the experience was absolutely incredible! The staff at the reception were welcoming and attentive, and the ticket entry was smooth with no lines at all. Security was also very friendly, which made everything even more pleasant. Every gallery is breathtaking, and the history behind each piece makes it even more fascinating. You could easily spend hours and hours exploring without ever getting bored. Truly unforgettable!
Ana C — Google review
I haven’t been to the MET ever since coming back from the army. I used to go all the time, especially when they would have new exhibits in the museum. What made me go in the first place was because I’m writing an essay on art for my art history class. I wanted to share so of the photos that I took on my journey.
Louie V — Google review
The MET is definitely one of the top 5 museums to visit while in NYC and probably the top 1 to consider visiting if you are in the city for a short time. Buy tickets online will save you time at the counter. The museum opens at 10, and there was already a long queue forming outside to enter. The depth and quality of the art pieces are very good, with extensive artefacts ranging from Antiquity to modern history. Strolling through the museum will set you back in time and can be overwhelming, in a positive way. As the museum is very big, do some research ahead to select the areas you’d like to see in priority. Around certain art exhibited it could get busy but that moves pretty fast. The rooftop on level 5 offers. Nice view over Central Park and manhattan. Finally, wear your most comfortable shoes as the museum is a maze that surely will amaze you.

HUGE museum, I spent there 5 hours and wasn't able to see everything even thoug I was walking past exhibitions quite fast. I would recommend picking certain wings or exhibits and devoting time for them. It's impossible to see whole thing during one visit. On top of that there is also a roof deck where you can enjoy views of Manhattan. Truly spectacular!

The Statue of Liberty, a symbol of freedom and democracy, is an iconic national monument in New York City. Standing at 151 feet tall, it was a gift from France to the United States in 1886. Visitors can take guided tours and explore the museum on Liberty Island for stunning harbor and city views. Ferries run regularly from Battery Park and Liberty State Park for easy access.
We booked our visit through Statue City Cruises, the official and only authorized provider for trips to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island — and that’s important to know, as plenty of unofficial sellers will try to offer you “alternative” tickets. We had seen the Statue of Liberty from the water before — on a speedboat called The Beast back in 2018 — but this was our first time setting foot on Liberty Island. And what a difference that makes. The island is larger than we expected, with plenty of space to walk around, grab a snack, and take photos from every angle. We picked up the included audio guide, which offers three different tours, but ended up just exploring on our own. The view toward Manhattan is spectacular, and the statue itself is iconic — impressive both up close and from afar. We tried to get tickets for the crown, but those were sold out nearly two months in advance, so book early if that’s on your list. The museum visit at the end was fascinating, offering great context and artifacts. No wonder over four million people visit every year. A beautiful and memorable experience — absolutely worth the time and effort.
Lars W — Google review
Visiting the Statue of Liberty was a wonderful and memorable experience. The ferry ride itself was relaxing and offered amazing views of the New York Harbor and skyline. Once you arrive at Liberty Island, you get to walk around the statue, explore the grounds, and take in the history. The museum adds helpful background about how the statue was built and what it represents, making the visit feel even more meaningful. One important tip is to book your tickets ahead of time, especially if you want access to the pedestal or crown, since those often sell out quickly. Security lines can be long, but they move steadily, and the overall process is well organized. The combination of sightseeing, learning, and simply enjoying the atmosphere makes the trip worthwhile for families, tourists, and anyone interested in American history. Overall, it’s an experience that feels both educational and inspiring.

An Amazing Visit to the Statue of Liberty! My visit to the Statue of Liberty was amazing. What a spectacular statue! Today was clear and sunny, which made it a perfect day for pictures and videos. I totally recommend that people come to visit and see this magnificent art. My Recommendations for Your Trip: Book in Advance: Purchase your tickets online before you go. Trust me, the line to buy tickets on-site is insane. Check the Weather: Choose your day wisely and make sure it is sunny. The views are so much better! Charge Your Devices: Make sure your phone and professional camera are fully charged before you leave. You don't want to miss a shot!

We booked to view this historic and iconic landmark via statue city cruises. We had a very smooth experience starting from the queue management, security checking, cruise to the liberty island and back. Very well managed and staffs were there to guide us. The experience is great. This monument stands tall and it reminds us about all the history related to it. Beautiful in short. When you visit NYC, this is the must visit place. Iconic and beautiful.

Our trip to Liberty State Park was fantastic from start to finish. We bought tickets from the NJ side. Parking was easy. Buying tickets on mobile was super smooth, and going through security was a breeze. We went during the week and experienced absolutely no wait time—both on the way there and coming back. The ferry itself was clean and comfortable. The first and second floors are fully heated, which was perfect, and the top deck offers amazing views. Overall, a seamless and enjoyable experience. Highly recommend! Below a Picture of the actual NJ ferry

We really enjoyed our visit to the Statue of Liberty! The entire area was very clean and well maintained, and the museum was full of fascinating information - a great mix of history and insight. The walk around the island was lovely, offering amazing views of downtown Manhattan, New Jersey, the Brooklyn Bridge, and Ellis Island. It’s truly a special perspective of New York. The cafeteria food was decent, with better prices than expected, and the souvenir shop had something for every taste and budget. Overall, a memorable experience that’s absolutely worth it for anyone visiting NYC.

I visited the Statue of Liberty with my mom and sister, and it was such a beautiful and memorable experience. Seeing it up close was honestly breathtaking the statue is much larger than I expected, and the views from the pedestal were beautiful . We took the ferry from Battery Park, which was really easy and gave us great views of both Liberty Island and Ellis Island along the way. Hiking up as far as we could inside the statue was such a cool experience you really get to appreciate the scale and craftsmanship of this incredible monument. A few fun facts: the Statue of Liberty was a gift from France in 1886 to celebrate freedom and democracy. She’s made of copper, which has oxidized over time to create her iconic green color, and her full height from base to torch is about 305 feet! The seven rays on her crown represent the seven continents and seven seas, symbolizing liberty spreading across the world. If you’re visiting New York, this is an absolute must-do. It’s historic, inspiring, and truly beautiful an experience that makes you appreciate what the Statue of Liberty stands for. 🗽✨ *UNESCO heritage site*

Liberty State Park, located in Jersey City at the mouth of the Hudson River, offers breathtaking waterfront views of Manhattan's skyline, Ellis Island, and the Statue of Liberty. The park features miles of tree-lined walkways and large lawns, as well as a natural preserve with tidal marshes. Visitors can stroll along Freedom Way, cycle on winding bike tracks, and visit the poignant Empty Sky Memorial honoring New Jersey's victims of the September 11 attacks.
It’s clean, open, and has one of the best views of Lower Manhattan, the Statue of Liberty, and Ellis Island. There are plenty of paths for walking or biking, open fields for families, and peaceful spots by the waterfront to just sit and take in the view. We parked at the ferry lot ($7 for the day) which made it super convenient to take the Statue Cruises ferry to Liberty Island. The park itself is free, spacious, and not as crowded as Manhattan parks, which makes it a great escape. Highly recommend visiting whether you’re taking the ferry or just want a relaxing day outdoors.

Beautiful views of the NYC skyline. Beware that parking is not staffed and the owners of the lot want you to pay via a smartphone. Also on the grass, beware the dog poop 💩. It is literally everywhere - best stick to the paved paths. But did I mention the stunning views of the NYC skyline? Still worth it - for sure.

Liberty State Park is such a gift to all residents of Jersey City and visitors!!! The views are incredible!!!! You. An hike, walk around, lay on the grass. There’s a HUGE awesome playground for children. Bathrooms, portable potties. I just LOVE it here so much! You can also walk by the water and always catch the most beautiful sunrise and moonrise!!!!! And on the opposite side you can catch the sunset if you’re walking toward the boats or on the reflections on the NYC buildings!!! Wonderful place! There’s also a restaurant if I’m not wrong, I have never been, however! Oh and there’s lots of grills around for people to enjoy a bbq during summer and it’s dog-friendly! And you can also bike around and all that too!

This New York iconic destination still has its charm, but currently under major restoration, so you can’t even come close to the base. It’s full of heavy machinery making constant noise, which is ruining a lot the whole impression. The museum on premises we liked a lot, very educational and you can actually touch the pieces of the statue like face or foot. As everyone has probably already said the statue looks way smaller in a real life than you would expect, but we liked our visit overall. Be ware that last ferry to New Jersy is at 5:45 pm, but all the cafe and gift shops are closing at 5pm.

Roosevelt Island, a hidden gem nestled between Manhattan and Queens, is an intriguing destination that offers a unique blend of history and stunning views. Once home to the marginalized members of society in the 1800s, this two-mile-long island has transformed into a vibrant residential area adorned with lush parks and modern high-rises. Visitors can stroll along Main Street for picturesque vistas of the Manhattan skyline or delve into its rich past at sites like the Smallpox Hospital ruins and the historic Octagon Tower.
One of the best spots to get away from street noise of NYC. Tram ride it lasts only 5 minutes and fare is the same as subway's: $2.90. Recommended to visit in the summer before sunset or in May when you can see cherry blossoms!

I am terrified of heights and the tram was not bad at all. The ride was really quick but very hot inside the tram during the summer. It takes about 40 mins to walk across the island but the free red bus is really convenient. The island has nice parks and areas to chill across the coasts, each end has something cool to check out. There's a library and a couple of food places. A nice location for a day trip.

My wife and I were there for a birthday party and danced to the wee hours. If you get invited...go! If you can afford to put on an event there, you will be happy you selected the Rainbow Room.

Again, it all comes down to atmosphere, service, food. Atmosphere was great, views were amazing. Service was fine, nothing special. Food...we only ordered beverages, and a seafood tower ($90). The seafood tower was just ok. Order something else. Teetering between a 2 and a 3 star.
Faye C — Google review
Great burgers and cocktails. We had a great time in the Rainbow Room. Instead of buying the tickets for the observation deck, you can just go to the bar, enjoy the panorama and a drink. Make sure you make a reservation in time.
Szanto K — Google review
Loved this place because you can enter for free and have almost the same views you would have from the top of the rock observatory. The drinks are kind of expensive but it is cheaper than to buy a ticket to enter the observatory. The only bad thing is that there are no chairs so you have to stand all night. If you want to seat and eat you should reserve a table that are around and close to the windows so you get a better view. Not sure if you have to pay for reservation though.

Located in Flushing Meadows Corona Park, the Queens Zoo is home to over 75 species native to the Americas. Visitors can start their journey by interacting with domesticated animals like sheep and alpacas before exploring the Wild Side exhibit, which houses Andean bears, American bison, and the world's smallest deer. The Waterfowl Marsh features trumpeter swans while a vibrant aviary showcases colorful parrots and macaws.
Absolutely wonderful especially if you have smaller children, magical magical place with magical vibes, and great people in the area to be honest the fact that it has a parking just get there early! I had an amazing day and I felt like I went alone with my son and it was very safe. Highly recommend this along with prospect Park zoo for Young children. There is also a theme park right before you walk in so there is so much to do and it’s a family fun filled day. It’s a little treasure in Queens. I had no idea about and I’m so glad I found out at last. Great animals as well. I was amazed that this was all in my backyard apparently!!! Never saw an alligator other than maybe the Bronx zoo… in New York City.
Jamil J — Google review
The Queens Zoo offered us such a lovely experience! We pet the goats and saw the bear, sea lions, eagle, among others. What stands out is the cleanliness of the zoo and how well-cared the animals are. We had fun and did bird watching at the aviary. This zoo might be small but we saw it in about tree hours and enjoyed it a lot!
Miriam N — Google review
I recently took my daughter 2.5 yrs old daughter to the Queens Zoo, and we had such a great time! She especially loved the children’s farm area—she was so excited to see the animals up close. This zoo is perfect for kids and toddlers; it’s not too big, which makes it easy to walk around, and there are plenty of fun things for little ones to enjoy. The whole place is very clean and well-organized, which I really appreciated as a parent. It felt safe, calm, and family-friendly the entire time we were there. The staff were also super friendly and helpful, and you can tell they care about both the animals and the guests. One thing to keep in mind is that the food options inside are limited and a bit pricey, so it might be a good idea to eat before you go or bring snacks for the kids. Overall, the Queens Zoo is such a wonderful place for a family outing. It’s small enough not to feel overwhelming but still has plenty to see and do. We had a memorable day, and I’d definitely recommend it to other families, especially those with young kids!

We recently visited Queens Zoo and had a truly wonderful experience. It’s not too big, which makes it perfect for walking around without feeling overwhelmed. The zoo is clean, calm, and filled with beautiful trees and shaded paths — ideal for a relaxing day. It’s a great place for both kids and adults. We’ll definitely come back again.
Evelina M — Google review
This zoo is a small zoo byt perfect for an afternoon with kids. The animals are beautiful and well cared for. We always enjoy the sea lion feeding time. The actual zoo can be seen in under 2 hours but we always enjoy visiting and feeding the farm animals on our way out. This is always a highlight for the little ones. My favorites are the alpacas.
Donna B — Google review
Worth every penny and every second! Despite growing up in Flushing, I don’t remember if I visited this location as a kid. So I decided to change that with my family. I homeschool my children so I was able to take advantage of the fact that very few people were present. As a result, we had a blast, one only capable when you reserve a park to yourself. We took our time and savored every moment and I’m glad we did. Despite the relatively small size of this zoo, I strongly recommend you and your family/friends go and have a relaxed time.
Nathaniel J — Google review
Took my two kids to the Queens Zoo a few days ago. We really like the Queens zoo because it’s on the smaller side (vs. the Bronx’s zoo) and mostly shaded, which made it really comfortable to walk around on a hot Summer day. The kids loved seeing all the animals, and we were lucky to catch the sea lion feeding just as we arrived. We didn’t get to see the coyotes who were probably hiding in the shaded areas, but we saw everything else. After the zoo, we walked across the road to the farm area and spent some extra time feeding the animals there, a perfect way to end the visit. Definitely recommend for a nice family outing.
Gustave B — Google review
I had asked around if anyone knew about this zoo, and most people said no. Honestly, I didn’t know about it either, but I’m glad we went. it’s a really laid-back zoo. If you’re looking for something simple and not too overwhelming, this is the place. They don’t have a huge variety of animals, but it’s still enjoyable and gets the job done. The best part is that the kids can go on little rides and even feed the animals;all included in one price. They also offer a military discount, for anyone wondering. Outside, there are some vendors selling food and snacks. Inside, though, I was a little shocked; they charged me $5 for a can of water 😒😒😒. Other than that, we had a great time! There’s even a slide, which was a nice surprise. Overall, I was really impressed and left happy. Picture attached.

Randall's Island Park is a 480-acre urban oasis located in the East River between Manhattan and Queens. The park offers a variety of recreational activities, including restored wetlands, over 60 athletic fields, and a community farm. Visitors can enjoy stunning views of the city skyline while walking or biking along the waterfront pathway. Additionally, there are multiple grilling spots scattered throughout the park, making it an ideal location for picnics and barbecues.
Went to the One Bite pizza festival, it’s a beautiful park with a lot of stuff to do and wonderful views of the city! Even if you’re not going for an event, it’s probably worth walking down via the bridge!!
Jeremy G — Google review
Very nice up kept fields, and play areas. If you happen to be staying at any events near here, the parking (which is free) is very nice and close. The only downside is that it is right near a sewage treatment facility so everything smells really, really, really bad. They have nice walking and biking trails for exercise, and they stretch for many miles. All in all, the upkeep is wonderful and I would recommend this park to anyone needing to stretch their legs while in the five burrows or to those who play sports. See for yourself!
Ari B — Google review
A strange place in nyc. Accessible from Queens, the Bronx, and Manhattan, I think there are now 6 pedestrian bridges that will get you onto the island. this island has a displaced community on it, with some tents scattered around the Manhattan bridge entrance. There are also indoor and outdoor tennis and pickleball courts, a variety of outdoor fields, and a few other government and assistance buildings for people in need. It’s a beautiful area combining natural and urban spaces (like most of nyc). Great to walk around on a sunny day. It can be a little creepy to go alone in winter because the island was rather desolate. Probably gets busier in the spring/summer when more sports are in season.
Katie K — Google review
Nice park but very far from the city and difficult to get to. The M35 is very slow and infrequent and is usually faster to walk. The bridge to get to the island is not very nice as it is next a very loud busy highway. Decently clean and safe.

This place is very beautiful and in my opinion the best way to get around and enjoy its beauty is on a bike. Weather you bring your own or rent a city bike at the entrance. The only down side was the lock of drink/food places, it looks like they currently have this part of the park under construction. An alternative would be to bring your own drinks/food. My boys and I had a great time riding the city bikes all around and enjoyed the beautiful views very much.

Queens Night Market is a vibrant seasonal outdoor market in Queens, New York, offering an array of experiences for visitors. With over 100 independent vendors selling food, crafts, and merchandise, the market celebrates the rich cultural diversity and heritage of NYC and Queens. From Indian tandoori kebabs to Puerto Rican papas rellenos, the market offers a wide variety of ethnic foods at affordable prices with a $5-$6 price cap on food orders.
The Queens Night Market is such a wonderful way to spend time with friends and family outdoors in the summer. I especially enjoyed the craft shops. Shout out to the bands that played that evening, it was really cute in the earlier part of the evening when kids were dancing along to the band. I’d recommend bringing a picnic blanket to sit on in the field rather than trying to jockey for a table.

Great variety of foods to sample. Clear pricing. Family friendly. Crowded enough to move food but not too crowded that it’s squished. We loved the Venezuelan corn cakes. I recommend going with a friend to share.

Enjoyed it here. The food was small bites and all under $6. They accept cash and card. It's a great way to learn the food of different cultures. There are also other vendors with candles and portraits. You can listen to a live band. Bring a blanket to sit in the grass if the seating area is filled.
Jhanelle D — Google review
Cool food experience with music. It would’ve been nicer if they had more seating. Honestly we probably would’ve stayed longer and bought a lot more food if there was more seating. The food was good for a decent price. Glad I experienced it, but not sure that it’s worth a return trip.

I've been attending the QNM for many years now (since they first started) - what I'm most fond of is the mixed crowd (hello, it's Queens where it's like a mini world of its own- yet you have "outsiders" attending). The difference foods, the vibe, music- just the atmosphere overall. I wouldn't recommend the first day (they open for their season- a bit dry ...as in not that much crowd or food vendors). Overall it is awesome. So make sure you attend next year an many more💃🏽💃🏽👍🏽
P-LO — Google review
Had an amazing time trying different foods from different countries and cultures. Everything was priced at $5-$6. Enough to taste for two people without getting full and leaving room to taste other vendors. Lines move pretty quickly. Crowd died down around 8-9pm so lines were not as long. The music was nice.
Crystal T — Google review
Always a great place to try various ethnic food all in one spot. Just a few stop from willets point, and a 15min walk from the train, usually go after a mets game, instead of spending $30-40ea at the game you can come here and fill up for $30 for two people. They also have beer and wine stations. Portable bathrooms which are surprisingly very clean. The food here is very fresh and usually cooked to order to expect long lines. Majority of vendors take card but bring cash if you want beer/wine. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area

This public park is perfect for those looking to enjoy a day outdoors with its designated barbecue area, picnic tables, and ample recreational facilities including baseball fields, soccer and football fields, basketball courts, and volleyball courts. Families will appreciate the large playground and wading pool that cater to children’s fun.
Good place to be around, but you always need to be careful. I went because I am a “person of interest” fan. Things are not exactly as they were on the series, but you got the stunning views under the bridge and good sight of Empire State and Chrysler.

This park has the potential as it is near the 59th Street Bridge and just across the Roosevelt Island and Manhattan skyline. Con Edison plant is next to it. There are three baseball/softball fields. Benches along the river side. They even have a section for barbecue. Nice bicycle lanes around the park. There are total of four softball fields in this park, not the greatest fields but playable.

Queensbridge Park has a large selection of seating that is comfortable and curved. There are separated, walking and biking paths. When we visited today, the Parks department was redoing the volleyball courts. I appreciate that we have the old growth trees in this beautiful park. Nestled in the serene Rufus King Park in Jamaica, the King Manor Museum stands as a testament to American history and the legacy of Rufus King, a prominent figure who signed the Constitution and championed anti-slavery efforts. This historic house museum, dating back to 1806, aims to make history accessible and engaging for all ages through informative tours and interactive programs. Visitors can delve into the life of Rufus King while gaining insights into 19th-century Southeast Queens.
Beautiful historical mansion right in the middle of Jamaica, Queens. Beautiful grounds are an oasis of calm in a busy neighborhood. This was the home of Rufus King (1755-1827), a Founding Father and US Senator. He was the presidential nominee for the Federalist Party in 1816, in which he was defeated by James Monroe. Rufus King was a prominent opponent of slavery, even though he was a slaveholder as a young man. His son John Alsop King (1788-1867) also lived at the mansion. He was governor of New York from 1857 to 1858. Our tour guide today was great and very knowledgeable.

Mahir A — Google review
I have lived in Queens for 3 decades and today was my first time visiting the museum. What a gem in the middle of a busy commercial hub! I did not make a reservation. I just rolled up while passing by after a business meeting. The wait to be admitted to the museum was short. There was one staffer onsite -- I believe her name was Veronica. She was personable, friendly, passionate about the history of the house and very knowledgeable about the tiniest details of the house and surrounding area. She helped bring the tour to life and was eager to answer all questions. The architecture and exhibits are phenomenal. Even the antique smell of the home was interesting. The design of the house was carefully crafted to preserve the social and class norms of its time - a world in which New York's elite families and it's working class servants navigated living spaces without encroaching on each other's space. The house is deceptively large and beautifully preserved. I highly recommend visiting it to learn more about the history of a wide range of people of all races, cultures and social classes who contributed to the Jamaica NY area. Thank you King Manor. You just won a fan and a supporter
Jax D — Google review
Interesting place to visit and learn about history. Went on a weekday, the tours run every hour on the hour - I'm not sure if it was possible to walk through the house without the tour, the guide was very informative and definitely enhanced the experience.

A disappointing attempt at visiting. I was released early from jury service and decided to visit this museum before returning to work. I saw online that guided tours were offered on the hour and decided to try to join one at 1pm. When I arrived and rang the bell, a staff member answered it and let me know she was busy with other work— preparing labels for an upcoming exhibition—and I’d have to come back later. I understand the staff is small, but if this museum is not actually able to accommodate their stated tour times, they should require advance registration. It would’ve saved me the disappointment and both me and the staff member some time.

Surprisingly well preserved and beautifully curated museum. There are lots of pieces donated directly from the descendants of the family. The guide was very knowledgeable and gave us lots of details bout individual rooms and the Kings family. There were no other visitors, so we had as long as we wanted to look around and take pictures.

Liberty Island, home to the iconic Statue of Liberty and a museum, offers visitors breathtaking panoramic views of the New York City skyline and surrounding waters. The island features various lookout points providing unique perspectives for photography and sightseeing. A boat trip to the island is a must-do, especially for kids eager to see the famous statue up close. The ferry departs from Battery Park and also includes access to Ellis Island. Guided tours are available for those interested in learning more about these historic landmarks.
Very cool you get one ticket for $25 and you get a ferry ride with up close views of manhattan and Statue of Liberty access to museum on both liberty and Ellis island would recommend if you are just tourist or even if you just a New Yorker who never went All these pics that are not of Statue of Liberty are on the boat ride

Great views from the ferry and interesting museum. Skip the pedestal and crown reserve as the main museum is much better and the best views are from the ferry, not the statue itself.

Visiting Liberty Island was an unforgettable experience! Seeing the Statue of Liberty up close is truly breathtaking — a powerful symbol of freedom and history that photos just can’t capture the same way. The ferry ride over offered beautiful views of the New York City skyline, and the island itself was well-kept and easy to explore. The museum provided fascinating history and context, making the visit not just scenic but also meaningful. Everything was well-organized, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Whether you’re visiting New York for the first time or a returning traveler, Liberty Island is a must-see stop that leaves a lasting impression!

Great sight to see but could do with a lot of improvement in getting people on and off the island. Other things to see but if you want access to the crown then plan very far ahead.
Dan B — Google review
New to the NY area, and as a decedent of immigrants, I had to visit the Island and see the statue. Took a tour here and would recommend it if you want to be taught some interesting history. But if not, the Island is small so it doesn’t have to be an all day type of thing. Going back for the crown.

Unforgettable experience. I wasn’t sure whether to visit the island or just take the free Staten Island ferry past as part of our trip to New York. So glad I did visit. Make sure you rebook the legitimate Statue City Cruises as they are the only authorised to land at the island. Fantastic views from the ferry and island view points over the city. Enjoy some (expensive) lemonade on a hot day and tasty pizza. Visit the museum and walk around the island to admire lady Liberty up close. Take in the views before getting some souvenirs from the very nice gift shop (shame most of them are made in China - not sure Trump would like that!). Only downside was a very long queue for the ferry off the island and put us off getting off at Ellis Island. Overall excellent value and memorable experience.

Was a bit disappointed. On an old ship (60 years) with bad seating on a 10 min. trip to the island. All this for 25,— just to be up and close to a statue.

If you're looking for a fun and lively spot to end your night in the West Village, A.R.T. SoHo is definitely worth checking out! The rooftop bar has amazing views of the Hudson River and delicious table fries that will leave you satisfied, no matter how late into the night it gets. Not to mention, the bartenders are hepful and know their cocktails well- so if you're looking for a good time, this is definitely the place to be!
I was staying at the Arlo and spent most nights up at Art. Terrell the manager and Estefani my server were amazing every time. They were so friendly, attentive, and even remembered my name which made it feel extra welcoming. The vibes were always great, the music was on point, and the Old Fashioneds were some of the best I’ve had. Wish we similar vibes like in Detroit. Can’t wait to come back next time I’m in the city.

Loved happy hour at this rooftop bar! Excellent location, great ambiance and crowd. Excellent staff and menu. My only two callouts: First, finding the elevator to get to the rooftop bar was a bit challenging. Second, make sure to say “mini” frose for the happy hour pricing on this drink. Otherwise, I had a great experience and will definitely return.
Adrienne E — Google review
I wish I could give this place a better review because the food was phenomenal but unfortunately I cannot. We waited for over 20 minutes just for someone to take our order, another 20 mins to get our drinks, and 20 more mins after that to get our food. And our food was delivered to the table next to us instead and so we had to wait until after our food to eat the fries since they left those at the other table. Overall the staff were really rude, except for one gentleman who was bar tending/serving and he is the only reason I am giving two stars here. Way too expensive for the horrible service.

I recently visited ART SoHo (the rooftop bar at the Arlo SoHo in NYC) and had an absolutely stellar experience—thanks in large part to our server, Oscar. From the moment we arrived, Oscar welcomed us with a warm and genuine smile. He took the time to introduce the menu, highlight seasonal cocktails (we ended up trying a Fig & Maple Old Fashioned and a Watermelon Fizz which were both fantastic), and genuinely offered recommendations tailored to our group’s tastes. He wasn’t just “checking in” — he checked in with us, making sure each round, each bite, and each moment was comfortable and enjoyable. The rooftop itself is stunning: sweeping skyline views of downtown Manhattan and the Hudson River give the entire space a kind of effortless “wow” factor. The indoor-outdoor layout is perfect for shifting between sun-soaked lounging and night-out energy. The food and drink menu compliment the setting beautifully — we shared small plates and cocktails, and each hit the mark.
