Brunch restaurant
Breakfast restaurant
Régine Café, located in La Petite Patrie, Montreal, has been a popular spot since its opening in 2012. The café offers an upscale and retro dining experience with mismatched velvet chairs. It is known for serving clever and original breakfast dishes all day long. The menu features generous portions and includes gluten-free options such as the Gauffre, a corn waffle with trout gravlax, cream with chives, and tomato salsa.
I’m not someone who likes to wait in line specially when I’m hungry, but this brunch spot is definitely worth the wait!!! The attention to detail in taste, presentation and service exceeds any expectations. Went with the family, we took a lot of choices to try many things. We were all more than satisfied!! Definitely will be back!! Thanks a lot to the owner and staff!

Regine Cafe is a brunch restaurant that is open from 9am to 3pm daily. This is a very popular place with long queues to be seated. We recently showed up around 9.15 and were able to be seated for a table for two. However, the place filled up quickly and a queue began to form no more than 10 minutes later. Interior is a sort of eclectic themed decor. Menu is a fairly traditional western brunch and dessert assortment. On the day, we tried the Sucre Sale and Dore Banana french toast orders. These were both beautiful dishes, generous portion sized and tasted really good. Service was friendly and prices reasonable for the experience. Would be happy to do Regine again for bunch trying other items on their menu.

Our meal started with a complimentary glass of juice, a refreshing gesture that immediately set a cheerful tone. The Scotch egg stood out with its rich and distinctive flavor — something I don’t often come across a lot on brunch menus. Each of the three dishes we ordered was flavorful and satisfying, though they leaned salty. Next time, I would definitely balance it out by adding a sweet option, which I imagine would make the overall experience even more enjoyable. Overall, recommend!

While visiting Montreal, I wanted to find a spot for breakfast/brunch that emphasizes quality of product and service. After a quick Google search of places within the vicinity of downtown, I was confident this was going to be my best bet. Upon my arrival, I knew I made the right decision as there was a line of 25-30 people out the door. Fortunately I did not have to wait long as I only needed a table for 1. I was promptly greeted by my waitress, Mathilde. She was so pleasant. They provide a complimentary shot of fresh pressed juice to start your experience. This place is charming. The food is phenomenal. The staff were all friendly. Looking back, one of the details I appreciate most about this experience was that nothing felt rushed. Everyone was calm. The only con to my experience was that I overindulged. Do yourself a favor and go here, wait in the line if you have to, it’s worth it. I will definitely be coming back.

Loved this place. Great cozy vibes. Well decorated and not cheap. Food was delicious. Very accommodating for our one year old, loved the kids option and kids place settings. Really beautiful as well with all the decor, flowers and displays of pastries etc. Didn’t have to wait long but it is popular and there was a line behind us.

Delicious brunch! Creative and tasty brunch ideas. Service was great, the Waitress starts you off with a shot of the houses freshly squeezed concoction. Coffees are on point with huge bowl style options. I look forward to trying other options on the menu.

Don’t worry about long line-up😎 Thoughtful owners & staffs preparing hot drinks while waiting, receiving another welcome drinks while seats. Trust us, the food, the service, the decor worthy awaits👍

What a wonderful experience! We didn't have reservations and it was a Monday at noon, and waited maybe 15 minutes for 2 seater. Cozy and stylish dark interior, attentive and caring service (huge thank you to Agata for everything), and delicious and hefty portions! Add a scotch egg to your order regardless if you think you have space, it's delicious. Thoroughly enjoyed our time here and the much needed caloric intake after braving Ile Soniq the previous day in the scorching August heat.

Restaurant
French restaurant
Foiegwa is a trendy and modern French-American diner that opened in 2016, featuring an open-plan kitchen and quirky decor with sketches of famous Montrealites. The restaurant offers a variety of gourmet regional dishes such as truffle parmesan beef tartare, seasonal vegetable bagna cauda, and foie gras brioche roll sandwiches. It is part of the Barroco Group, known for its retro-inspired bars like Atwater Cocktail Club and Milky Way.
Foiegwa is nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we walked in, the warmth of the staff set the tone for the evening. Everyone was genuinely kind, attentive, and welcoming without ever being intrusive. The food was an absolute revelation!! We started with the asparagus à la grenobloise, which was bright, buttery, and perfectly balanced. It was simple in appearance but bursting with flavor. Then came the homemade spaghetti with butter, black truffle, egg yolk, and parmesan, a dish so rich and decadent it felt like a little piece of heaven on a plate. Every bite was silky, earthy, and indulgent in the best way possible. We finished with the profiteroles, delicate and airy, with just the right amount of sweetness to close the evening on a high note! Overall, Foiegwa delivers that rare combination of refined cuisine and heartfelt hospitality. It’s the kind of place where every detail, from the textures of the food to the thoughtfulness of the service, that makes you feel like you’re experiencing something special. I can’t wait to go back.

It’s such a cute little spot. The vibe is cozy and welcoming, and the staff was super nice and attentive throughout our meal. We started with the fried chicken appetizer and the foie gras, both were great, but the foie gras really stood out, one of the best I’ve had. The fried chicken was tasty too, though the portion could’ve been a bit bigger. The asparagus was a bit of a letdown, not quite what we were hoping for. For mains, I had the truffle tartare, which was absolutely delicious. My husband had the beef bavette, cooked and seasoned perfectly. Overall, the food was great and the prices are really reasonable for the quality. Would definitely come back to try more!
Talie — Google review
After a couple of drinks at their speakeasy next door, we came here for the dinner service. The food could be better. Maybe I had a high expectation as the cocktails were done so well. Nothing stood out. They were nice enough to let us in earlier even though the reservation was for 30 mins later. Washroom was interesting, the tinted window inside faces a major street. I might not come back for this one but I would still try the other restaurants under the same owner.
Sarry Z — Google review
Amazing vibe, aesthetic is really nice! Food was underwhelming though. The chicken and waffle and salmon Benedict was bland. Thank God for hot sauce. On top of that, i noticed a tiny hair on my pancake and told the server. He came back a few minutes later with the exact same plate. Choose the sweet over savory option. The pancake was SO good. Really made up for the whole meal. Matcha latte was nice as well. Overall experience 3/5
Geena S — Google review
Incredible gem of a place!! Foie gras with anything? Yessir!! We had oysters - which were perfectly east coast fresh. The smash burger with foie gras is as good as it sounds. The service was super friendly, we even chatted up the table next to us. It happened to be her birthday, the staff heard that and brought us (all four) a shot to celebrate! Super sweet and attentive. The show stopper: spaghetti with Parmesan, truffle and foie gras. It’s absolutely an amazing combination of food and love!! Highly recommend this place, don’t miss it!!
Sean K — Google review
Foiegwa is such a hidden gem. It’s small, but that’s exactly what makes it cozy (corner table gang 🙋🏻‍♀️). The lighting and vibe make you feel right at home. We went for Montréal à table, and the service was great from the start — friendly, clear, and attentive. I had the shrimp cocktail, spaghetti, and tartine. The shrimp cocktail was generous and flavorful, and the spaghetti… honestly, a party in my tummy. Perfectly cooked and so comforting. What stood out most were the little details — the person who brought our food wasn’t the same one who took the order, but he knew exactly who each dish was for (no awkward “who had the spaghetti?” moment 👏). Plates were cleared at the right time, never rushed. The food felt homemade, full of care — the kind that brings back memories. My date loved the dessert too. If you’re looking for a cozy spot with great service and heartwarming food, Foiegwa is it.
Gaby D — Google review
Fun place for brunch! The place is surprisingly small, but was curious to try after always see line-up for brunch on weekends. Wait can be long if the group is more than 2, and for brunch, it’s first come first serve, no reservation. Seating inside is cozy and can be noisy. Once seated, service was great and food came out very fast. I tried their Foiegwa Slam and it was delish, but wish it included coffee. 😁 Overall, great experience, would go back and now curious to try their dinner menu. It’s right across from Marché Atwater so good for a nice walk there after a good brunch!
V H — Google review
Came here for dinner based on recommendations from friends. Service was quick and friendly enough, but the food was underwhelming. Enjoyed the Caesar salad and their fries were amazing, but the smash burger was lacking flavour, all bread and minimal meat. The mussels were good but definitely more than a few were a questionable texture… overall not upset we tried it but wouldn’t recommend it.

Restaurant
Olive et Gourmando, a beloved establishment in Old Montreal since 1997, offers a delightful array of comfort food with a sophisticated twist. Co-owned by Dyan Solomon and Eric Girard, this charming cafe is renowned for its artisanal breads, delectable pastries, and flavorful dishes.
If you're a fan of brunch spots in Montreal, Olive + Gourmando is the place you should definitely check out. I've been visiting Montreal every year, and this spot has become a personal favorite for a reason! The moment you step inside, you’re greeted with an inviting atmosphere that’s as warm and charming as their service. The customer service is outstanding, truly top-tier. The staff is not only friendly but also super efficient—there's never a long wait, and everything flows so smoothly. It's clear they care about giving you a great experience. As for the food? Absolutely amazing. The menu is a dream come true for brunch lovers. Whether you're in the mood for something savory or sweet, they’ve got you covered with dishes that are both fresh and delicious. I highly recommend the Cuban sandwich and their almond croissant. They’ve mastered the art of balancing flavors while making each dish feel comforting and indulgent without being overwhelming. I haven’t had the chance to visit this year, but as soon as I’m back in Montreal, Olive + Gourmando will be my first stop. It's more than just a meal—it’s an experience. Can’t wait to dive into their mouthwatering dishes again, sip on a freshly brewed coffee, and enjoy that cozy, bustling vibe. Every visit feels like a treat, and I know the next one will be no different!

Met up with a friend to have breakfast here on my second day visiting Montreal. Sunday morning was packed with a line up out the door. Luckily the 2 of us sat at the bar as we were instantly ushered inside. Service was friendly and efficient. The vibe though! Such a lively atmosphere with a nice view of the open kitchen area. Food was super tasty and the coffee was gourmet. The price was on the higher end but it was smack in the middle of downtown so I get it. Highly recommended!
Stanley Y — Google review
This spot came highly recommended by several people, so it was at the top of my must-visit list in Montreal. I’m so glad I went because Olive et Gourmando ended up being the best place I ate during my trip. The atmosphere is warm and lively, the staff are friendly and attentive, and the food was absolutely delicious. I had the Tex-Mex (or maybe Mexican) breakfast option, and it was honestly the best breakfast I’ve had in years. I also ordered the fresh orange juice, and it was so, so, so good. I’m still thinking about it. I arrived around 11 AM on a Friday in July and had to wait about 30 minutes, but it wasn’t a big deal. There’s a really cool tattoo and jewellery shop right across the street that made the wait fly by. If I ever return to Montreal, I’ll definitely be coming back here. Highly recommend!
Olga B — Google review
It really was worth the 30 minute wait. Everything was great. The baked eggs were very flavorful, my friend loved the peach french toast (a weekend special), the sconewich was so good I ended up coming here the next day to grab 2 to go. The blueberry muffin was fluffy, moist, and not too sweet. They nailed the flavors and everything was cooked to perfection, it’s no wonder it’s one of the top breakfast/brunch spots in Montreal.
Cally C — Google review
Excellent place for breakfast. It is a bit of a hole in the wall as there are no other restaurants nearby. The atmosphere is very authentic with cute decor throughout. We had the egg and salami burger, which is pretty good, and the kids grilled cheese sandwich, along with a croissant. The fresh baked pastries are very tasty. Note that these don't come with sides so you might need to order a bit more. Make sure to go early as it gets later in the morning and you'll have to wait.
Francis W — Google review
I absolutely love this place; whether it’s for coffee and pastries, breakfast, brunch, or lunch, everything is consistently delicious. The quality and flavor never miss, and there’s something about the atmosphere that just makes you want to stay a little longer. Yes, there’s a line. Yes, it’s busy. But that’s all part of the experience. It’s a popular spot for a reason, and I’ve always felt it’s 100% worth the wait. From perfectly brewed coffee to fresh, flaky pastries and flavorful, satisfying meals, everything here hits the spot. Whether you’re meeting friends or just treating yourself, this place has the kind of energy that makes it a favorite. Highly recommend! Just come hungry and ready to queue! 😉
Gina L — Google review
Despite the waiting time, I loved their coffee and sandwich. The almond croissant was delicious too, has got the right amount of sweetness. To avoid the rush hour, it is good to get there around 9.30AM. Ambience is a little noisy but can be ignored for the food they serve. Got a spicy poached egg panini without meat (modified). It was simply perfect.
Vidushi G — Google review
Olive et Gourmando is a charming and very popular spot in Old Montreal — and for good reason! The coffee is strong and bold, perfect for serious coffee lovers. While it’s definitely on the pricier side, everything we tried was worth it. We had the yogurt and chia bowls, which were absolutely divine — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully balanced. Their house-made granola was so delicious that we ended up buying a bag to take home! The café itself is quaint and full of character. It gets extremely busy, but surprisingly, the wait time wasn’t long despite the no-reservations policy. The staff were friendly and attentive, making the experience even better. If you’re visiting Montreal, I’d highly recommend stopping by at least once. Whether for a quick coffee or a light, nourishing meal, this place is a gem.

French restaurant
Breakfast restaurant
Le Cartet Resto Boutique is a versatile establishment located in Old Montreal, offering a unique combination of restaurant and boutique. The loftlike space serves as an ideal setting to enjoy French bistro dishes and lattes while also providing gourmet food products for purchase. Renowned for its exceptional brunch offerings, the restaurant presents a diverse selection of breakfast items, including eggs, omelets, sandwiches, pastries, and signature plates like the Brunch des Cantons.
One of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had. The pancakes were delicious and the Lake Brome was perfect. Our potatoes were excellent too. Service was great and I’d highly recommend going here.
David K — Google review
They have outdoor seating, and I was able to bring my puppy with me, which was great. The staff even brought out a big bottle of water for him, which I really appreciated. I highly recommend trying their signature maple latte—it’s absolutely delicious—and the maple pulled pork sandwich, which was amazing. The atmosphere is beautiful, the people are very kind, and you even get unlimited coffee refills.

Stopped in for late brunch around 2:00 pm and the restaurant was calmer with not many people seated. I tried the "Toscan" with an iced latte, and the meal was delicious. I'm looking at photos of it right now and looking forward to the next time. Service, decor and ambiance is very laid back and homey to me. Will definitely be back.
Al D — Google review
Nice resto with a lively atmosphere and good food. The brunch options are tasty and portions are generous. Service can get a bit busy on weekends, but overall it’s a solid place and worth visiting .
Kimia — Google review
While the food here is decent, the bustling tourist district comes at a premium, reflected not just in the prices but in the experience. The toast served with Canton was not warm and soft, and the avocado on toast, pre-packaged rather than freshly mashed, fell short of expectations. Despite these, the charming ambiance of the place still manages to make the visit worthwhile.
Rob W — Google review
I recently visited Cartet and was pleasantly surprised — it’s definitely worth a try! This cozy spot has a small store inside where you can browse and pick up some great finds while you wait. The drinks were a highlight for me — both the latte and matcha were absolutely delicious and perfectly made. I also had the avocado toast with poached eggs for added protein, and it was to die for — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The service was warm and attentive, and the prices were average for this kind of quality experience. I highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a casual yet elevated café experience. Whether you’re just grabbing a drink or sitting down for a full meal, Cartet is well worth the visit!

Breakfast restaurant
Le Vieux Velo is a charming vintage restaurant located in Montreal, offering a laid-back and unpretentious dining experience. Since 2010, this cozy gem has been serving up hearty breakfast plates with a focus on their creative versions of eggs Benedict. The space exudes a timeless appeal, designed to reflect enduring qualities that matter. The menu features various options for eggs Benedict, including vegan choices and unique twists like the B.A.A. version with bacon, avocado, and brie.
This is probably my favourite spot in all of Montreal for brunch, purely because their menu isn’t overly complicated, the food is fresh and flavourful, and the portions are perfect! Sometimes you just need a simple but high quality breakfast or brunch. If you time it correctly, you can get lucky and not have to wait long either. ❤️🎀

Nice breakfast/brunch spot with a limited menu. The food was just ok and overpriced. For example, the pancakes seemed a bit raw. I will say the regular coffee was delicious. They must buy some quality beans and freshly grind, so that is pretty nice.
Rob G — Google review
It's been a while since I've been truly surprised by exceptional food. I can't adequately describe how delicious and flavorful the Eggs Benedict were, every bite was perfectly executed. The hot sauce deserves special mention it strikes an incredible balance between sweet and spicy that's absolutely on point.
Oscar A — Google review
I had the salmon Benedict (Atlantic Benedict). It was good, tasted like it had cheese or some cream in it. The potatoes were a bit too chunky and not crunchy enough for me though. And the muffin that the Benedict came on was a bit hard and tough to cut through. Also the salad mix that came with smelled like it was picked straight from the ground and served up. I liked that i could sense it was natural but also it stank lol. Service was excellent and the restaurant itself was nice.
Leonard — Google review
Le Vieux Velo is a very humble and charming cafe. The servers are gentle & accommodating. It is very bright inside. I can't recall hearing any music being played. Original artwork adorns the walls. We were seated immediately. The menu is very concise. I believe they only do breakfast. We ordered the granola with fruit and yogurt along with the florentine eggs benedict. The food was very well prepared. The potatoes were very delicious. The small salad was dressed lightly. The hollandaise sauce was on point. Our taste buds did not really warm up to the coffee. It was a bit weak & lacking in a robust flavour for our taste buds. We are told however that it is very popular with many customers. Two mains + 2 coffees was just under $50. If simplicity & good cooking is what you're looking for Le Vieux Velo will satisfy.

Tiny place, stuffed with tables which makes the place unpleasant! Food is below expectations! Service wasn’t good, too late in taking orders and serving food. Not recommended
Razan L — Google review
This place got eggs Benedict ON LOCK! I've never seen a brunch spot that had different kinds. My partner got the chipotle one and I got the smoked salmon, and both were some of the best we've ever had. Their homemade hollandaise sauces go super hard and pair well with each kind they have. If you're an eggs Bene-addict, you'll love this place. If you're not, it's never too late.

Went to this place during my vacation in Montreal. There are plenty of free parking on the street during the holidays. The area is quiet and peaceful. Many other restaurants in the area too. Le Vieux Velo does serve a good coffee in my opinion. The coffee bean they use was full of flavor. The simple breakfast was tasty. The egg is fluffy and the bread is great 👍.

Larrys in Mile End is a charming French cafe and bistro that offers an elegant yet casual dining experience. The all-day cafe-meets-bistro has a cozy atmosphere that makes patrons feel right at home. The menu features an eclectic mix of small plates, such as salmon rillettes and kedgeree, as well as heartier options like cotelette de porc and a satisfying hamburger. Breakfast offerings include delightful pikelets topped with salted butter and spoonable soft scramble.
We had a lovely time at this restaurant. Friendly service, comfortable environment. Everything we ate was perfect. Best scones I have ever tasted. Ceviche and the squash were my favorites. My husband liked the fresh bread and sausages but also liked the liver pate. Very filling - We have been full all day! Well worth it. You cant go wrong when quality is the focus.

Very fun, casual, laid back lunch. Elevated yet approachable. The food is excellent. Some of the best fries I have had in the city. The pavlova was perfectly airy with a satisfying crack. The service is easygoing with a light touch. If you want to be doted on very carefully this might not be the spot.

Um, so I’m completely blown away by how casual and comfortable Larry’s comes off being but at the same time the service is so attentive and warm, and the food (and even the coffee?!) is out of this world. Easily my best and favourite brunch in Montreal. Espresso 1000 out of 10, as good as Osmo Scone 1000 out of 10 Fries 1000 out of 10 Squash 1000 out of 10 Scrambled eggs with the bacon, it’s important to have a bite of both together, 10 out of 10 Sausage 7 out of 10 Panzanella 8 out of 10 You should go and get taken care of by this team.

Everything here is so good. They make their own ham, and the cold-cut sandwich is unbelievably good. The roasted tomatoes and mushrooms are incredible and keep me coming back time after time. Menu items are fairly simple but a tour de force in making the simple, excellent. Love the cocktails too.

Place is very cute. But honestly the food was ok…Very pricey and tiny. I took the beef tartare and it was very blend (24$ for the smallest portion). And I took the scone too, and inside it wasn’t properly cooked (11$ for 1 scone). But coffee was good.

Great neighbourhood bar with some excellent small plates. Had a nice buzz the second I walked in. Service was surprisingly slow despite a lot of friendly faces. I think I might have come in during a shift change though because three servers sat down at the bar to enjoy drinks with their friends or partners pretty quickly.

Excellent food in a pretty nice place in Montreal suburb Not a large card but all is really fine and tasty Place for wine lovers
Simon B — Google review
Food was good, price includes tip already so pricing is reasonable. The fries were amazing as was the scrambled eggs, though a tad on the saltier side. Went back a second time and it was just as good as the first time. Started with the ceviche this time and the cubes of fish were cut nice and thick, super fresh. Flavoring a bit more on the tart side but overall was a very nice starter. Tried the pork chop as the main and it was cooked perfectly, seasoned welll and very juicy. The part near the bone was especially good.

Cacao 70 Eatery is a modern chain known for its delectable sweet and savory chocolate treats, as well as an array of cocoa drinks, coffee, and breakfast options. The eatery offers about 5 or 6 different waffles to choose from, with the Tutti-Frutti being a popular choice featuring fresh strawberries, toffee bananas, chocolate-covered ice cream, milk chocolate chunks, and rich melted chocolate.
Fun late night dessert spot! Not too sweet and lots of options. Safe for nut allergies too!

if you are craving something sweet, you will definitely want to consider this place. the hot chocolate was really good, and the fondue was decent. i tried the dark and milk chocolate mix, and it was alright but i probably wouldn’t order it again. the service was a bit slow but they were wrapping up a birthday party so that could’ve been a factor. i would return, but maybe just for the hot cocoa next time.
Johna W — Google review
The place isn’t huge, and when I went it wasn’t full, but there was a steady flow of people coming and going. We ordered the Churro Fondue, the Banana and Strawberry Crêpe, and a lemonade (which we never received, but at least it wasn’t charged). When we arrived, we were seated but not told to order online; we only realized after waiting that that’s how it worked. The portions are very large, definitely good for sharing at the table. The flavors were decent, but honestly, I expected a bit more. The churros were a little stale and flavorless, and the crêpe was chewy and doughy. Not terrible, but the quality could definitely be better. That said, the prices are quite fair for the portion sizes, so it’s not a bad deal. Overall, it’s not a terrible spot and it’s not expensive, but with so many amazing food options in Montréal, I personally wouldn’t come back, not because it was bad, but because there are better options elsewhere. Still, it’s a good place if you’re craving something decadent, affordable, and easy to share.
Catalina J — Google review
If you’re in the mood for sweet crepes, this place might be worth a visit—but only if you’re here strictly for dessert. The atmosphere is cool, and they specialize in sweet crepes and fondue, so naturally, we had to try a few. We ordered three crepes in total: the Nutella & Fruit Crepe, the Camp Fire, and the Ham It Up. The sweets were absolutely splendid - generous portions, rich flavor, and definitely enough for two people to share. The Nutella & Fruit crepe, in particular, was our favorite. Now, I knew savory dishes weren’t their main thing, but I decided to give the Ham It Up a shot anyway, since I like having both sweet and savory during a meal. Big mistake. I can confidently say: don’t order it. The presentation was off, the taste was terrible, and neither of us could eat more than a bite—it went straight to waste. Unfortunately, the service didn’t help make the experience any better. The waitress only came over once to check if we had placed our order, and after that, we didn’t see her again until the crepes were about to be served. She brought a bottle of water just before the food arrived, which felt a bit late. No one was around to ask questions or assist, and overall, the service felt inattentive. So, if you’re just looking for a quick, tasty dessert, especially one of their sweet crepes, go ahead and give it a try. But don’t expect much from the service, and I wouldn’t recommend this place for a proper meal. Stick to dessert, enjoy the atmosphere, and you’ll leave happy!

Delicious desserts! Decent portion size. My feedback to the store would be to add picture for each dish or dessert in the online menu that we get after scanning the barcode. Although ingredients are written on the menu very well, a picture would give nice visual representation of the dish and portion size too. Lastly, awesome taste, loved it! Thank you!!
Aditya J — Google review
Incredible place with delightful vibes and very friendly staff! My Fiancé and I don't speak French very much at all, so there was a tiny bit of a language barrier, but our order came out well! You get a lot of yummy sweets for what you pay for and the place is honestly so nice to just sit around and enjoy the atmosphere of! We came at around 11 PM at night, so about an hour before closing, so there were no issues with wait time or anything. I'd definitely recommend coming at night if you're a night person, much more calm and cozy and a good late night snack if you're looking for one! It's a few minutes from the Place des Arts metro stop and worth the walk.
Joe B — Google review
Was looking for a desert spot and definitely this is the one. Perfect late night cafe / desert location. The desert options are endless and customizable. Quality was excellent, and loved the fact that it wasn’t overly sweet. The cafe options were also great, my cappuccino was delicious. Surprisingly they don’t serve them on saucers with stir spoons? The service was okay. The gentleman was nice, but serving is not his element for sure. He never came to check on us after dropping off the plates. We only saw him when we got up to ask for the bill, at which point you have to pay at the cash, which is fine. A little hospitality goes a long way, especially in a restaurant setting.

Such a treat going here! The place was busy, but we were served quite quickly. We had a marshmallow sharing plate and fondue sharing plate that were perfect. A must stop if you're a chocolate lover with a major sweet tooth!

Vegan restaurant
Restaurant Tendresse is a chic and sophisticated bistro located in Montreal's Gay Village, offering a gourmet plant-based dining experience. The elegant setting and internationally-influenced food make it an enticing spot for both vegans and non-vegans alike. With an impressively curated list of natural, biodynamic, and organic wines, this trendy newcomer also boasts French-inspired bites like pave and tomato tartare served with focaccia croutons.
Had an amazing vegan brunch here. The service was top notch and food so good. Definitely recommend even if you aren’t vegan. The Benedictine was so tasty and what isn’t to love about double mimosas. You might want to get there early if you’re counting on tasting the incredible king mushroom meal as we got the last one at 11:45.

Another amazing experience at Tendresse! I rarely go out, but this is the spot I will always choose to support. The staff is incredible—so kind, calm, and attentive. The food is outstanding, with unique flavors and a special touch that makes every dish just right—not too much, just enough, which I truly appreciate. The drinks are fantastic, and the desserts are both original and divine. Lastly, the ambiance is simply beautiful and cozy. Even when the restaurant is packed, you can still hear yourself talk—a rare gem! The decor, lighting, and plants make this place truly live up to its name: TENDRESSE. We’ll be back!

One of the best vegan restaurants we have ever been to (and for reference I’ve been vegan for 30 years and have been lucky to try a lot of great vegan restaurants all over the world). The food taste like upscale, elevated fine dining vegan food with lovely presentation. This is not your typical vegan junk food with vegan faux meat type of restaurant. Every single dish we tried was amazing and the presentation outstanding. 5 star amazing that I can’t stop thinking about it. Their freshly made sourdough focaccia is the best I’ve ever had and the reason I chose to dine here; the eggplant scallops were scrumptious; the dumplings with peanut butter sauce the ultimate comfort food; the drinks were fantastic with beautifully presented carrot ginger lime juice; and I am seriously regretting that we didn’t order dessert. The ambiance is warm and welcoming, and the owner is awesome and down to earth. Next time we are in Montreal, this restaurant will always be on our agenda. Can’t wait to dine again!

It’s a vegan restaurant near Beaudry station! location isn’t best due to homeless people on St. Catherine but once you enter the restaurant, you feel like it’s a different universe. I went for a work meeting dinner. It’s ok - buy protein options are limited. I was fasting that day and the service was too slow for what to eat. We picked the host table which has 3 meals but it took like 3h to get through each course! Food is overall ok - service is slow and stuff is nice. Overall if you’re looking for something filling and healthy, probably not the go to especially if you’re fasting.

The menu is very interesting and innovative! The taste is unique, rich, and flavourful! The plates might seem small but very filling! Do try the pave, you will enjoy it! The price point is high but the vibe in sainte Catherine is worth it! Request: please have Air conditioning if possible

Good food, nice ambience. It's a vegan restaurant just next to station Beaudry, there are decent choices to pick from. But some weird happened, me and my friend got upset stomach after eating the food. It rarely happens that I get upset stomach with outside food. I was a bit surprised.

This is the BEST vegan restaurant Ever (reviewed by a long time vegan foodie)! So rare to find a gem of a place where EVERYTHING you order is a win win and you can’t go wrong with anything you select. The food is a marriage between comfort food and fine dining, crafted with all vegan whole food plant based ingredients. This is the place to wow your carnivore friends who eschew anything vegan; or to impress a date. Lovely atmosphere with incredible service and staff. The owner is so warm and welcoming. Love her vibe! Highly recommend the housemade sourdough focaccia (best I have ever had); dumplings (missing these already); loaded fries with homemade Parmesan cheese and truffle oil; pasta with eggplant; panacotta (visually stunning); the burger is fantastic (I’m selective with vegan burgers and don’t like most, but this is 1 that I could eat all the time!) and the list goes on! 10/10 and if we lived in Montreal, this would be our go to place. For now it will be our number 1 whenever we visit!
Wrangler W — Google review
We had a great time at Tendresse! The server was very helpful and the food was great! Beautifully presented dishes made with a unique combination of ingredients. One thing I don’t like about “healthy” restaurants is that they often overdo the salt and oil, but I am glad to say that was not the case here! The cocktail menu was also original and well thought out. I lined the personalized customer service such as getting a ginger lemon tea off the menu, or that the espresso which we forgot about and got cold was readily replaced free. Not pictured are the desserts, which were also yummy. Nb the high price per person was because we ordered two dishes per person plus one dessert per person + one drink +/- one coffee at the end. Downside was that it was really loud inside making it hard to hear and we had to talk really loud. I will definitely be back!!

Nestled in the heart of Pointe-Saint-Charles, Le Café Bloom is a delightful coffee and tea haven that captures the essence of community and culinary creativity. Named after a character from James Joyce's "Ulysses," this charming café offers more than just literary allure; it serves up an array of locally sourced dishes, including mouthwatering salads, sandwiches, and delectable sweets. Cute casual coffee shop that serves breakfast, brunch and pastries. I went there for breakfast with my baby and 2 other moms with their babies; open space to accommodate for strollers, the food was great, and the service was excellent! I got the granola yogurt bowl and was pleasantly surprised with how good it was. I really liked the golden milk too!

Lovely cafe ! I went for a late brunch on a Sunday afternoon. The place was busy, but we were able to be seated fairly quickly since we came late afternoon. You may have a wait if you go during peak times. I got the tartine and subbed for gluten free toast (with an additional cost) and a matcha latte. Around $30 for everything but I guess typical when compared to other brunch places in Montreal🥲

A very nice-looking cafe where one must wait to be seated, at least on a weekend. Everything is wonderful, except for food, and I actually came for it. I ordered potato pancakes (latkes), but it seems the cook has no idea what it is.. it was a burnt something in oil that cannot be eaten. Sunny side up eggs are also far from ideal full of runny egg whites. The presentation itself is also awful - as if everything was dumped on one plate. My husband took bacon - it was so dry that it was brittle. When I complained, they didn't even apologize to me. This is probably the norm here. The only thing I can praise this place for is coffee. But this place is definitely not for food. I don’t understand all the positive reviews

Probably won’t go back. Understaffed for a Saturday. So much so that they forgot one of the orders from my table. Not sure how that happened as they were all written on the same piece of paper lol. Service also slow. I had the all dressed waffle and it was a 7 1/2 out of 10. The biggest thing is that I wish there were a few more options on the menu. I felt really pigeonholed into getting hip niche dishes, and they didn’t seem very flexible. Kind of hard to explain, but if they added a few classic brunch dishes, I think it would go a long way.

Bloom Café provided me with an outstanding experience! I had a delicious breakfast paired with delightful coffee. The server was very polite and friendly, patiently explaining the menu and consistently refilling our coffee cups with a smile. The quality of the breakfast was exceptional, and the prices were quite reasonable. The café's atmosphere was also very clean and inviting, adding to the overall appeal of the experience. I highly recommend Bloom Café to everyone!

This cafe is a classic in Pointe Saint Charles. I heard the Sunday brunches are really good. I ordered the Spinach Croque, which was delicious. I previously had the Tuna Sandwich and was amazed. I was not a fan of my Chai Latte, and it wasn't warm enough, maybe it would have been better served in a mug instead of a glass. It's a nice place to work if you have a laptop. And if you work in the Nordelec, it's a great place to grab a lunch. Just keep in mind that the wait is a bit long once you ordered.

I called ahead to make sure there was a table for 6, and they said yes. When we arrived, there was no table for 6. Two staff members were working on the floor, yet not a single person bothered to greet or acknowledge us. One was making drinks, the other was serving, and I literally tried to make eye contact, but she deliberately ignored me the entire time. I really hope this wasn’t racism, but honestly, it felt like it. I have never experienced such disgusting service anywhere. Without even tasting the food, this place became the worst restaurant experience of my life.

Maison Boulud, located at The Ritz-Carlton in Montreal's Golden Square Mile, offers a sophisticated French menu curated by Michelin-starred chef Daniel Boulud. The restaurant is known for its opulent ambiance and exquisite culinary offerings. Diners can indulge in dishes like homemade smoked salmon, fried zucchini flowers with ricotta, homemade pastas, and the signature 'DB Burger' featuring foie gras and braised short rib.
Service was wonderful. We went for the 5-course meal and were very satisfied. Food was tasty, there was a surprise in every dish. The flavors blended very well together. Not an everyday restaurant, however, worth it for special occasions.

Came here for both their lunch special and their dinner tasting menu. The lunch special is definitely worth it. For 50$, you get an entree, a main meal and a dessert along with their bread service and their madeleine at the end. Everything is fresh and delicious. Their dinner menu has more services but is also way more expensive. The inside is beautiful and it’s the perfect place for a nice meal with friends and family.

I have been to Maison Boulud dozens of times for brunch, lunch and dinner and it never disappoints. The setting inside the Ritz Carlton is elegant, with the terrace in summer being one of the best spots in the city. I mostly enjoy the meat options but the fish dishes are equally well executed. Drinks are always on point and the bartenders here are among the best in town. Service is consistently attentive and professional and desserts like the chocolate coulant are unforgettable. Yes, it is a splurge but worth every visit. One of Montreal’s finest dining experiences. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Came here to celebrate my brothers 51st birthday with family. Maison Boulud did nothing but compliment the celebration festivities with brilliant dinner choices with pristine presentation combined with A+++ service made the evening a very memorable one. I would not hesitate to order anything that this menu has to offer beyond the images and highly recommend pairing with champagne.

I didn’t have high expectations for the hotel restaurant, but lunch turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The three-course menu was just $50 per person, which felt like great value. The standout dishes were: 1. Chilled soup with honeydew melon and cucumber — light, refreshing, and perfectly balanced. 2. Catch of the day with artichoke purée, bok choy, and a virgin tomato-piquillo sauce — I was lucky it was sea bass, my favorite. The skin was perfectly crisp, and the fish itself was fresh and delicately seasoned. It’s not the most inventive menu, but the quality and price make it well worth trying.

Renoir Restaurant, located in the Sofitel Hotel, offers an eclectic mix of new French cuisine in a high-end setting with a terrace. The Sunday brunch is particularly popular, featuring a European-style buffet curated by French chef Olivier Perret. Diners can indulge in a wide array of gourmet French delicacies such as bison and prosciutto mozzarella tartine, Bellevue salmon, oysters, potato mousseline with truffles, and more.
I like the design of this restaurant , how the tables are designed and arranged. We had two dinners last week and both were excellent - good wine, the food was great, a nice French cuisine experience. If you look for a place to spend time around a great meal and have a good wine selection this is the place.

The experience was warm and inviting. The hostess was pleasant and we did wait to be seated. Our waitress was very friendly and polite and once our meals arrived it was well prepared, tasty and the servings were very appropriate. The coffee was strong and hot just as we enjoy it.
C. D — Google review
As I step into the restaurant at the Sofitel Hotel “Renoir”, I’m thinking wow, nice upscale restaurant, and when I think of upscale restaurants, I think amazing service, amazing atmosphere and most of all amazing food. Well….. yes some parts of Renoir were great like the server we had was nice, polite and took to our every need, but I don’t know if she was fairly new because I found she did not know her menu very well. The atmosphere was nice, well cleaned and not so loud. We could talk to each other without yelling which was nice. Now brings me to the food. Now I love food, and no I’m not a professional food connoisseur, but I do work in a kitchen and feel I know what people are looking for, well I know what I am looking for. Let’s start with the appetizers and the amuse bouch. A corn soupish with edible flowers and some crunchy things was tasty and worth having again. Very flavourful and not too big as to fill you for your appetizers and meal. Next the appetizer, Quebec’s tomato gazpacho ricotta espuma with basil oil. This was by far the best thing I ate at Renoir. The flavour and aroma was on point. First time I ate gazpacho and now I’m hooked, so thank you for that. Then comes the main course. Let’s just say after eating the gazpacho I was a little disappointed. The amount of food for the price. Yes it was duck and sure I expected to pay a bit more for duck but what I received was surprisingly small. So then you expect it to be amazing in flavour, well sorry to disappoint you it was just ok. And what’s up with the leaf roll. I found does not match the story going on the plate. So let’s move to dessert. If I understand correctly they have a baker in the kitchen and the cakes are made in house. I ordered the pistachio cake, very nice light and tasty. Has raspberry inside. Very good. All in All not a horrible experience. But I will mention it took very long to get the food from the kitchen to the table and it was not a busy Sunday by any means.

The ambiance is very nice and the waiter was very professional, warm and cheery. The wine selection is very good and there are a lot of choices. The food was amazing. Everything was cooked to the perfection. The balance between the ingredients worked very well and it was a joy to eat all the courses. They treated the ingredients with respect and could taste the freshness in them. The portions are generous too. You'll be very full after a three course meal. Overall, I really enjoyed and strongly recommend it. We will definitely be back for more.

Known for its lively atmosphere and family-friendly ambiance, Fabergé also boasts an excellent drinks menu including spicy Bloody Marys and mimosas.
On a quest for a delightful breakfast experience, we stumbled upon this gem and were so impressed that we couldn’t resist coming back the next day! The Montreal Breakfast Poutine was a revelation crispy potatoes, cheese curds, and savory gravy made for the ultimate comfort food. To top it off, the mimosa was refreshing and complemented the meal perfectly. Day 2: Equally excited, we returned the next morning to try more of their offerings. The Champion Omelette was fluffy, packed with fresh ingredients, and incredibly satisfying. The Massive Breakfast lived up to its name, offering a hearty plate that kept us full for hours. Highly recommend for anyone seeking great food, amazing service, and a delightful atmosphere!

Good food, okay coffee. The salmon eggs benedict was decent and the potatoes were tasty. Nothing out of the ordinary, id try the poutine next time I was to visit. Had the chicken on the side. Good, flavourful chicken. Could be spicier though.

I had the chicken burger sandwich and I forgot to take the picture as it looks so good and ate it so fast! The staff were amazing. Food was amazing. The ambience was amazing. In our day and times with restaurants delivering subpar quality Fabergé stands out and is consistently providing high-quality food.

An excellent place for brunch The portions are huge. My order as represented in the photos were considered "small" If you want chicken and waffles once or twice a year this us a good place to have them. Naturallt, there are many other optuins to choose from.

The Benedict Classique was excellent — perfectly poached eggs, rich hollandaise, and flavourful smoked ham on a soft English muffin. Everything was fresh and beautifully balanced. The staff were also incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the meal even better.

Waited 15 mins for a waiter to appear then another ten to get water. Wasn’t her fault she was the only one on staff. Food was tasty but far too salty. Especially on the potatoes.

Me and my family really enjoyed our breakfast. Spoiler alert 😜 the portions are generous so come hungry

We ordered 2 dishes that have fried chicken , the chicken was very dry and stale, we did not like anything including the fries. The service is good though.

Greenspot Restaurant in Saint-Henri is a classic diner that has been serving up hot dogs, fries, and burgers since 1947. The old-school ambiance with original signage on the walls takes visitors back in time. This family-owned greasy spoon is a beloved spot for its retro feel and delicious comfort food.
Greenspot is a true Montreal classic. Open since 1947, it has that old-school Quebecois diner vibe that instantly makes you feel like you’ve stepped back in time in the best way. The decor, the booths, even the menu it’s all wonderfully nostalgic. We came for the experience and left full and happy. The poutine hit the spot (crispy fries, proper cheese curds, and rich gravy), and the smoked meat sandwich was tender, flavorful, and piled high. Easily one of the best things we tried. The steamed hot dogs were great too, exactly what you want from a place like this. Portions are generous and prices are super reasonable. Definitely worth the stop if you’re into classic diners, comfort food, or just want a taste of old Montreal. A little piece of local history that still delivers.

True classic Quebec cuisine. We found the pouting gravy too salty for our liking. The portions were really good and value for money. The restaurant has a 80s/90s diner style. However due to the crowds, service lacked. The staff did tried their best tho it was hard to keep up. The noise level was quite high too.
Sharon F — Google review
What I loved best about this restaurant is that four of the waiters joined together and sang happy birthday to my husband! They put a candle in the delicious coconut cream pie! We had cycled to Parc Jean Drapeau And thoroughly enjoyed the Fleuralies exhibit- we popped in here for an impromptu lunch. The place was full! It was lively and noisy. I had the vegetarian souvlaki which was very good (Yiasou on Queen Mary is a touch better). The Birthday 🎂 Boy and our daughter both enjoyed the souvlaki plates. The coleslaw was a bit too vinegary and it would’ve been better with carrots. The waiters were young and worked hard! The restaurant has been around for almost 80 years so that says something…..A casual place with good honest food and it has heart.

A North American style diner restaurant. As if Woolworth counter married a Coney Island. Food and portions taste great, and the prices were just right. Service was fast and friendly, too. Located just 100 feet from Atwater Market and the Lachine Canal.

Awesome restaurant! A true montreal institution and a must try! Food is fantastic. Definitely a top tier poutine. Fries cooked to perfection, poutine sauce is thick and rich, cheese curds at ideal temperature. I also had the St-Henri Burger which was also very good. A burger and a small poutine should be enough food for most appetites. With a soda and tip, it came out to 30$. Service was good and we were served quickly. The atmosphere is great, feels very warm. You can feel a sense of history in this restaurant, it has been open since 1947! Would recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a tasty and authentic Montreal experience!

Don't get me wrong - I saw the appeals, and I enjoyed the meal, but I think the flavours of the food get a bit monotone over time, even in the late-night setting (I got the steak sandwich & the chop poutine with smoked meats & hotdogs I think). Very standard Montreal-style diner fast food. The fries got a bit too dried, too (I still believe la banquise has the best poutine; call me basic, sure)
Firmament — Google review
One of the worst poutine I’ve ever tasted. Fries soggy, burnt and soft and with an aftertaste of old frying oil. Poutine cheese not fresh and doesn’t squik, squik. The gravy tasteless. We had the chop chop poutine and the regular one. Simply a let down. I was so excited to eat there due to the hype of the place. :( money down the drain. Genuinely not worth it.

Walking into this place felt like stepping straight into an authentic 80s American diner—and I loved every second of it. The cozy red booths, retro décor, and old-school vibes made the atmosphere feel warm and nostalgic. I ordered a classic milkshake, and it was just perfect: creamy, rich, and served in one of those tall vintage glasses. If you're into cozy spots with real character, this place is a hidden gem. Can't wait to come back!

Bagel Etc is a charming brunch spot located near Parc du Portugal, known for its omelets, pancakes, and of course, bagels. The interior features exposed brick walls adorned with vintage knickknacks and a sign that reads Restaurant Cookies. Leonard Cohen, the famous musician, was a regular at this place and had his usual order of bagel, bacon, eggs, and allonge.
A True Montreal Gem Frozen in Time This place is a beautifully preserved time capsule, radiating the nostalgic charm and authenticity of a classic 1940s bar and restaurant. The moment you walk in, you’re greeted by the sounds, scents, and atmosphere of another era — like stepping through a time portal right in the heart of the ever-evolving Plateau. It’s so vivid, you can almost imagine the faint trace of smoky cigars lingering from a bygone time, before smoking was banned indoors — a sensory whisper of the past that deepens the nostalgic feel. The owners and staff deserve full credit for their warm hospitality and welcoming energy. While the entire menu is solid — everything is well-prepared and satisfying — it’s the vibe that truly makes this spot unforgettable. You’re not just coming for a meal; you’re here for a nostalgic experience. By pure luck, I stumbled across this gem on one of my early morning walks while searching for a good coffee spot. I’m so glad I did. They open at 7:30 AM daily — perfect for fellow early risers looking for more than just a caffeine fix. 🫶🏻🌞 Thank you for your hospitality and the experience you shared through ‘Bagel etc.’ (1940’s restaurant) ✨
Nicholus D — Google review
I recently visited Bagel Etc. for breakfast while in Montreal, and overall, it was an okay experience — nothing exceptional, but not disappointing either. The breakfast portions were reasonable, though I wouldn’t say they were particularly generous or memorable. It felt pretty standard, and while it filled me up, it didn’t really stand out compared to other breakfast spots in the area. The highlight, as you’d expect from a place with “Bagel” in the name, was definitely the bagels. They were fresh, nicely toasted, and had that classic Montreal-style chewiness, which I really enjoyed. If you’re coming here for a bagel, you won’t be let down. One thing that’s important to know before visiting: they don’t accept credit cards — only debit or cash. There is an ATM on-site, but like most restaurant ATMs, it’s always better to have cash on hand to avoid fees or any inconvenience. The atmosphere is casual, and the service was fine, though nothing particularly warm or memorable. It’s a simple, no-frills kind of spot — good for a quick, decent bagel breakfast if you’re in the area. Would I go out of my way to return? Probably not. But if you’re nearby and craving a solid Montreal bagel, it’s worth a visit.

Bagel Etc. in Montreal is a charming breakfast spot that blends great food with rich local lore. From the moment you walk in, the friendly staff make you feel like a regular—even if it’s your first visit. Service is impressively quick; you’ll barely have time to sip your coffee before your breakfast arrives, hot and satisfying. The menu is full of comforting classics, but what truly sets Bagel Etc. apart is its atmosphere. The head chef is known for sharing stories with diners, weaving tales of Montreal’s cultural past with a warmth that makes the experience feel personal. One of the most beloved stories is about Leonard Cohen, who was a frequent visitor. His presence still lingers in the air, especially when you spot the signed Photos he once brought in, now proudly displayed on the walls—a quiet tribute to a legendary artist and a loyal patron. Bring in your own signed CD Andhave it added to the wall. Whether you're there for a quick bite or a leisurely morning, Bagel Etc. offers more than just breakfast—it offers a slice of Montreal’s soul. Between the food, the stories, and the welcoming vibe, it’s easy to see why locals and tourists alike keep coming back. Bagel Etc.—a great place to sit.
MapleHero 3 — Google review
There’s a certain hush that lingers in Bagel Etc., not silence but a kind of reverence. It’s the soft clinking of coffee cups, the murmur of late-morning conversations, the jazz hum drifting just low enough to let your thoughts wander. This is where Leonard Cohen often came to sit, to think, perhaps to observe the small poetry of life unfolding around him. And it feels right. The place is charming in the old Montréal way, with worn wood, bright light from the street, and walls that seem to have absorbed decades of breakfasts, ideas, and laughter. There’s no pretense here. The servers move with easy warmth, as if they’ve known you for years. Then comes the food. My Eggs Benny, layered with fresh spinach and thick-cut ham, was extraordinary. The hollandaise was perfection: rich, balanced, and just tangy enough to remind you that someone in the kitchen still believes in craft. Every bite felt both indulgent and grounded, like comfort with a touch of art. Bagel Etc. isn’t a place you rush. It invites lingering, over a second coffee, a scribbled note, or a glance out the window at the steady rhythm of St-Laurent. You can almost imagine Cohen, hat tilted, notebook open, watching it all with that quiet, knowing smile. Five stars, without hesitation, for the food, the service, and the atmosphere that feels less like dining out and more like stepping into a gentle, timeless moment.

Returning to an old huant after almost 40 yrs. Still has its charm and and awesome menu and staff. Stopped in for a midweek brunch as we'd been in town to see a show. The plateau and main are the same and yet different than I remember. Bagel Ect, still a gem! They served up one of the best brunches we've had in Montreal. I ordered the classic Benedictine Eggs Benedict—perfectly poached eggs, rich and velvety hollandaise, all on a fresh, fluffy base. My partner had the Romanov, a version with lox, which was equally delicious—the smoked salmon was silky and flavorful without overpowering the dish. A special shoutout to their sautéed potatoes—crispy, well-seasoned, and the ideal companion to our meals. Cozy atmosphere, friendly service, and food done right. Forgot to mention, thier latte are perfect...Highly recommended!

A perfect breakfast and brunch spot. Great decor and lighting, it felt cozy the second I walked in. Fantastic music. Service was sweet and efficient. Just felt like one of those institutions where the servers and the patrons alike respect the place. Probably best eggs Benedict I’ve had in my whole life. Just *perfect* Hollandaise sauce. The restaurant offers a modern take on traditional Indian cuisine, featuring dishes like India Rosa Grilled Cheese and brunch-style biryani. Run by the Sandhu family, the vibrant eatery combines Indian flavors with a contemporary Montreal vibe. The colorful cocktails at the striking bar add to the festive dining experience.
I had a pleasant experience at India Rosa. The food was delicious especially the appetizers which couldn't stop at just one. The main courses are delicious as well. There is a unique brunch menu offered on the weekends that definitely want to try next time. The location and ambiance is amazing with wonderful staff.

We had such a wonderful dining experience at Indian Rosa Montreal. This restaurant perfectly combines authentic Indian flavors with a modern, stylish atmosphere, making it one of the best places for Indian vegetarian food in Montreal. The ambiance was warm, trendy, and inviting – great for a date night, family dinner, or group outing. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable, helping us choose the best vegetarian options from the menu. We tried a selection of vegetarian appetizers, main dishes, refreshing drinks, and desserts. Every dish was flavorful, beautifully presented, and well-balanced in spices. The curries were rich and aromatic, the naan was fresh and soft, and the drinks complemented the meal perfectly. The desserts were an excellent way to end the evening, with authentic Indian flavors presented in a modern style.

We really enjoyed our visit! The food was excellent, especially the lamb and the traditional Indian desserts, which were absolutely delicious. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, making us feel comfortable throughout the evening. The atmosphere is more modern than traditional Indian, but still very beautiful, clean, and pleasant. We would definitely come back!

The food is amazing here. I had my dinner there two days straight. Every dish is delicious, but my personal favorite is the Fruits De Mar. Only one thing, I do think the Jasmine rice is slightly dry for my taste. Overall, I highly recommend everyone to try it.

We ordered the $75 “for two” menu and were very disappointed. Despite how appealing it looks in the photo, the portions are small (Naan bread helped fill us up a bit), the dishes overly sweet, and it’s far too expensive for what you get. Overall, you’re better off choosing any other item on the menu.

Janine Café-Brunch is a newly opened restaurant in Montreal that offers unforgettable breakfast and brunch experiences. The café, which opens from Wednesdays to Sundays, provides takeout orders from 9am to 2pm with the option of a 10% discount when ordering through their website using the code SPRING10. The ambiance at Janine Café-Brunch is warm and welcoming, featuring comfortable seating, tiled flooring, and rococo-styled mirrors and frames.
Review edited: We were visiting from Toronto and our friend brought us to try Janine for brunch on a Sunday. They do not offer reservations for weekends. My friend made a reservation but it turns out it was for a different date from the date she took us to the restaurant (hence the edited review). The place however does get very crowded as it is a popular spot, so there is quite a bit of wait time. Once we were seated, the food, drinks and service were really good. We got a matcha latte and a Baileys coffee. I asked for no whipping cream so they topped it with a marshmallow. It was really good! Our server was very informative and we chose the special of the day based on his recommendation which was duck meat with poached eggs. It was delicious and we enjoyed it! Our drinks and food came out in a timely manner. Their washrooms were also clean. The overall noise level was a bit loud so it made holding conversations a little challenging.

Beautiful experience once again. Great brunch place, beautiful decor and excellent service. The food is always well presented. Need to get there early, ideally before 11h am, even on a Monday for brunch as it get’s crowded very quickly.

Definitely a place not to sleep on or miss if you’re in town. Cute little brunch spot with some great tasty food. You won’t regret it ☺️. Service was amazing once inside as the wait outside was a little long since you cannot reserve on weekends. They should add the option but I understand they want to show passerby’s that this is the place to be, long line, etc.. The decor was simple, nice and subtle; fitted well with the ambiance. Our server was amazing and definitely loved his work and made our experience better. I wish there was more vegan/vegetarian options or that they looked at that side more but you won’t be disappointed if you’re a meat eater.

Been a couple of times. A very enjoyable place, service is great, food is good, but I find it heavy. It’s varied and not typical, but you fill full and heavy for the rest of the day. Lines can get long too as it’s popular and they don’t take reservations for brunch.

Prices continue to rise each day but these guys somehow still manage to load my plate with more food than I could ever eat for under $25. Service was quick and friendly. Food arrived shortly after ordering. Was a slower late afternoon Thursday but I have braved the weekend lineup and also received great service. I recall being offered coffee or tea outdoors. Decided today to leave a review. This is a fantastic place to bring friends from out of town or connect with your network locally and relax. Ordered Gros Jambon and man it was huge. Plate included toast, bacon, beans, cretons. Bravo. Especially impressed with the generosity of portion for price. A rarity in the inflation era. Sat at the bar and had 3 different servers/managers check on me. Very good.

Fantastic breakfast/brunch spot. The avocado toast with an egg was fantastic and the cinnamon roll with chocolate sauce was divine. We had excellent service and we were glad to be able to relax and chat for a calm morning in Montreal.

Everything is top-notch. The food quality is among the best, and the portions are generous, though a bit pricey. The ambiance and décor are amazing. However, the waiting time was a bit unreasonable, and we ended up sitting at the bar since it was cold to stay outside too long (definitely not ideal for winter visits!).

Nestled in the charming heart of Old Montreal, Dandy is a must-visit for brunch enthusiasts and those looking to indulge in delightful culinary offerings. This chic eatery boasts a spacious and airy dining area, perfect for enjoying an all-day brunch that includes mouthwatering options like their buttermilk fried chicken sandwich on a fluffy brioche bun. For those with a penchant for sweets, the maple brown butter ricotta pancakes topped with lemon cream are simply irresistible.
A little bit of a wait to get seated but very worth it. We had a very nice breakfast here, with absolutely excellent service. We had a smoked salmon sandwich and an Endless Summer Breakfast. The server was very attentive and understanding with a good allergy we brought up which was great to see. I ate the endless breakfast and while it was a bit different than what I'd normally eat (not a fan of tomatoes or cucumbers), it was delicious. I really enjoyed it and would 100% eat it again. Great start to the day and also a great Tira Misu coffee to get going for a full day or activity too.

3 of us sat outside for brunch on a hot day in June. We enjoyed our food. Two of us had the fried chicken (and enjoyed); one added an egg. I ordered ala carte - toast, egg and a side of avocado. For beverages, we had a passion fruit lemonade (very tasty), iced matcha late and iced tea. Service was good, if a little slow. The outdoor seating area was small, but comfortable. It was obviously a little loud because of street noise, but having a normal conversation was not a problem.
Tanisha M — Google review
Finally tried Dandy’s after years of hearing amazing recommendations from friends & family — and I totally get the hype now! Their ricotta pancakes were unbelievably fluffy, buttery, and rich — honestly some of the best I’ve ever had. The maple syrup has such a unique, deep flavor that makes the whole dish stand out. I’d give the pancakes a solid 5/5! I also tried the buttermilk fried chicken sandwich, which was really good — huge piece of chicken and full of flavor (4/5). The crispy smashed fingerling potatoes were tasty but a bit too buttery for my liking (3.5/5). I also tried their limited-time tiramisu iced latte, but it was just average (3/5). The restaurant itself is beautifully designed with a unique aesthetic, but it does get very loud during peak hours — especially on weekends. Once the rush slows down, the vibe is much more enjoyable. Overall, definitely worth visiting for the pancakes alone!
Hasna “ — Google review
Dandy’s is a bustling hotspot that draws crowds, especially on weekends when you might find yourself waiting in line for about 30 minutes. So, is the wait worth it? Personally, I’d say not quite. But if you happen to stroll by when there's no queue, it’s definitely worth a try. Our main reason for visiting was to indulge in their renowned ricotta pancakes. Some reviews compare them to the pancakes at OEB Breakfast Co., which you can find in Vancouver and Toronto. In my honest opinion, they don’t really compare — OEB still takes the crown. Dandy’s pancakes are dense and tend to stick to your sides longer, which might appeal to some. If lemon flavor is your thing, great. Otherwise, ask for lemon cream on the side. The salad we ordered was nice but didn't really stand out.
Rob W — Google review
Love this place always. I've been several times now and I am never disappointed. The pancakes are fluffy and delicious. I had the salmon toast this time and it was very good, fresh and flavourful. The portions are generous, the coffee is good and the service is good. Note that it gets quite loud in there, I know some people dislike that. Worth it 100% though!
Alexia — Google review
Food was good. Pancakes were delicious. Hubby had the chicken sandwich. So big he couldn't bite into it with out removing one of the chickens on it. He really liked though. People were nice but it does feel a little cramped. Would go again.

I had a great experience at Dandy. The service was excellent and very efficient. The brunch menu is creative and everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. Despite the long line outside, it moved quickly and we were seated sooner than expected. The restaurant has a smart system where the menu is already available outside, so you can decide what you want before going in. Once we were seated, our food arrived very fast, which made the whole experience even better. The ambiance is modern and lively, and both the indoor and outdoor spaces are beautifully designed. Definitely a spot I’d return to and recommend for anyone looking for a high-quality brunch in the city.

Junior Filipino is a vibrant and hip eatery in Montreal, offering a wide array of Filipino specialties in a cozy dining room. Opened in 2014, the restaurant boasts a colorful decor and a personal atmosphere created by its Filipino founders. The menu features inventive dishes with creative names, such as "dont want to pakwan," showcasing the modern interpretation of Filipino gastronomic culture.
Great place for comfort cuisine and exotic cocktails. The ribs were sticky and savory. The fried chicken pancit bihon was delicious. Pork belly, while delicious, the skin was too sharp (friture), it cut our mouths (I know sounds silly). The cassava cake was splendid. Cocktails, great variety and well balanced. Service: excellent. Attentive and welcoming, bilingual. Atmosphere: cosy, quaint and small, but fun. Will go back for sure

Would not recommend delivery. Although the food did arrive quickly, the food was incomplete. The Seafood Palabok was missing the calamari and shrimp chicharons. The egg wasn't a hard boiled sliced egg, it was a soft boiled egg with uncooked egg white. The junior bee, spaghetti was good, the chicken was overcooked like it was tossed back in the fryer after sitting all night, it was dry and burnt. I wanted this to be good, I'm a sucker for Filipino spaghetti..... Would I reorder. Maybe. The spaghetti was good, everything else lacked care and wasn't worth the money.

Delicious food! The crispy pork belly is amazing, very crispy and juicy. I also had the rice noodles with fried chicken, also very delicious. Unfortunately one of the chicken pieces was a bit undercooked, but it tasted so good that I did not ask to change the dish, I just didn't eat that piece. The portion was really big and great for sharing. At the end, I told them about the piece of chicken, they apologized and offered me a free desert. I tried the cassava cake and it tasted very good too. For drinks, we had the caipirinha and the mango juicy. Very good too. Highly recommend.

First time trying filipino food. Tried the fried fish, eggplant dip, fried pork belly, pork sisig and seafood pancit. The dishes were certainly interesting and unique but there was always something a bit off for each dish: pork sisig was a bit too salty to our taste but complimented well with rice; fried fish and fried pork belly lacked a bit of flavor/salt. Glad we tried, but we might try other dishes next time.

LOOOOVE IT!!! Vintage vibe, with nice cozy light, beautiful and very relax background music. Lots of plants. Food was good. Good prices. They ran out of rice for our chicken bibimpan and warn us about it(didn't take more 8 minutes to bring out the rest of the food). To apologize they brought all of cookies 🥺. I'm coming back here for sure ❤️

Delicious! Originally went for brunch (eggs and the usual), and ended up having a mouth watering Bulgogi. My friend had the Om rice. Very attentive and friendly service, and we did not feel rushed at all once we were done eating. I also enjoyed a chocolate chip cookie and I noticed they have some empanadas also as well as some soy milk products and smoothies if that’s your thing. We’ll be back :)

How did this place have such amazing reviews? The food was below average, even the food at the food courts in the malls are better... Response to owners message: We were hungry and wasting food is not something I like to do, especially when paying for it. I didn't say the food is disgusting, I just said it's not that good. Does not taste like authentic Korean good. I've had better korean food at other korean restaurants.

Archway is a trendy and charming vegan restaurant located in the heart of Verdun on Wellington Street. It offers a relaxed and warm atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for a satisfying yet healthy vegan brunch with friends or a date. The menu features Asian-inspired dishes like Udon Tempeh and Maitake Thai alongside seasonal lunch and dinner options using freshly prepared ingredients, including gluten-free choices. Additionally, they offer an array of juices and smoothies made from superfoods to provide essential vitamins.
This was such a picturesque location. We were seated right by the window and the lofi playing on the speakers was perfectly calming and chill. The plants set up around made it even more welcoming. Our server was super welcoming and friendly and equipped with our recommendations we were able to order some of the most delicious dishes I’ve ever had. Everything was very flavorful and had the most intriguing and tasty combinations. Thoroughly enjoyed my time here. I recommend trying their specialty hot drinks.

I love this place! They have the best vegan chicken waffle. I tried their tempeh katsu and it was mind-blowing.. the flavors are just right. Not a big matcha person but really loved their matcha latte with oat milk. Can’t wait to visit again!

Saturday night, October 25th: My girlfriend and I weren't specifically looking for vegan fare, but this place looked nice, so in we went and I'm glad we did. Food was excellent. Three staff members were very attentive and knowledgeable about how various things were made. There are magicians in this kitchen! Food arrived slowly, which might bother some people, but not us. We're slow eaters. Thank you!

Even though I’m far from being a vegan, I love meat and all the culinary delights that come with it!!! I truly enjoyed every single dish I tried here. Our small family lunch left such a warm impression. One of the dishes wasn’t quite hot, but the lovely waitress quickly fixed it, and our lunch turned out just perfect! Thank you for the delicious food, great service, and wonderful atmosphere.

A beautiful cozy vegan restaurant, with multiple healthy options to eat and drink. The available drinks are all great options, and the ingredients feel natural and fresh. The food is also good, yet we felt that the portions were not enought for the dishes we chose (the BLT and the pain perdu). The service is amazing. Definitely coming back to try other dishes and drinks.

I was very pleasantly surprised how good this restaurant is and how delicious their vegan dishes are! We had their table d'hôte menu and it was great. Everything about the food was amazing. There was so much taste and the portions were simply perfect. We also really enjoyed the atmosphere which, in the evening, was really nice, especially with the window table.

We went here for dinner and the food was phenomenal. Highlights for me were the crudo melon, bao, cho -fleur shawarma, maitake, champignon buffalo, and brownie. The crudo melon was by far my favorite, there were various ingredients which created combinations of flavors, every bite was refreshing, different, and amazing.

Nestled in the heart of Griffintown, Bird Bar is a contemporary eatery known for its delectable fried chicken and cocktail pairings. Chef Kimberly Lallouz's signature chicken-frying technique involves pressure-cooking to ensure juicy meat encased in crispy skin, with 40-60% less fat than traditional frying methods. The weekend brunch menu features mouthwatering chicken alongside waffles and other dishes.
The brunch was amazing! I love the fried chicken benedict. It was so tender and delicious. The corn bread wasn’t that special. I would definitely go back for the fried chicken though! Every plate looked amazing. The staff was nice but the place is a bit too crowded and you sit very close to other tables. Thanks for the good brunch!!

Dinned here on August 24th, we were walking on Rue-Notre Dame and came across this restaurant. We were seated immediately and got to choose where we sat. There were only a few people inside but it was early lunch so understandable. We ordered the Truffle Mac & Cheese, Chicken & Waffles and Indian Butter Chicken Tacos (2) Everything was delicious. I was hesitant to try the tacos because everyone makes their butter chicken differently but I was pleasantly surprised. The Mac & Cheese I got as a side dish and could have just ate that by itself. The music was nice, the seats were comfy and the atmosphere was cozy and chic. They did bring me the wrong order at one point but quickly rectified it!

I went here for an early dinner on a Saturday night. The place wasn’t too busy. I ordered the tartare and my friends got the fried chicken, Mac and cheese, and oysters. The service was excellent ! Their salmon tartare is different than what I’ve had at other restaurants and is a decent option is you’re looking for something lighter than fried chicken. The crispy fried wontons that come with the tartare were a nice touch and made the dish more filling. My friends really liked the chicken.

The golden and slightly crispy waffles and perfectly cooked fried chicken were simply delicious. The sirracha maple sirup combination ensured a unique completion flavour that got us like a firework. Impeccable and friendly service. Inspired drinks.

Over priced food for the quality and quantity My friend ordered a tartare and it was more a corn dish than anything else. Plus long wait time.

Visiting from Dallas, Texas and loved the fried chicken and watermelon. Excellent service, clean and great music.
LaVerne D — Google review
The food was good and drinks were good but definitely not worth the price or wait time. The chicken and waffles came with one small drumstick. There were about 5 other tables but we ended up waiting 1.5 hours for our food. It also took about 10 minutes to even get water or the menus. All the other tables were also waiting for a very long time to be served. If you're diabetic, bring a snack because you might faint before receiving your food.

Great place for brunch! We made last minute reservations and the staff was super kind with great service:) I ordered the Nutella waffle while my partner ordered a Fully loaded Breakfast and we loved it! Now that we love the brunch, we look forward to lunch and dinner at Bird Bar. Highly recommend this place to everyone 👌 UPDATE: We went for dinner and were just as impressed with the waterlemon with feta salad, shrimp tacos, bacon with maple on brussel sprout, poutine with duck leg, and elephant ear! The food was so delicious and the dessert was incredible too :) A very nice and cozy place to chill with friends and the service is top notch! MORE UPDATES: Went for brunch again and loved the food and the ambience of the place as usual :) MORE UPDATES : Went for dinner with family and we had the popcorn chicken, French fries, vegan chicken tacos, Indian butter chicken tacos, and Double Regal and it was so delicious ! For dessert, we had the chocolate chip with ice cream and it was heavenly indeed :) As always, Le Birdbar is always on top with its service and food :) A 11/10 restaurant for everyone

Appreciated that you can make reservations unlike the other Arthur’s location and we got in immediately, no wait time, even without reserving. Service was quick, friendly, and warm. Food came out super fast and was DELICIOUS. We had the Home Run and French toast, both were filling and so tasty. Best brunch I’ve had so far this year. Highly recommend.

I had heard a lot about this restaurant and finally had the opportunity to go. The food was incredible, especially the Syrniki, the cottage cheese pancakes, which are very famous, and now I understand why, simply delicious. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere was good and the location is great. Highly recommended!

Second time at this location and once again, they didn’t disappoint! Everyone was so friendly, and the service was great. I brought friends visiting from the U.S, and they loved it too. The food was delicious, and the staff was super accommodating. They had run out of bagels for our salmon tower and offered an alternative that actually worked out even better for me. Later, they mistakenly made the wrong dessert for my friend, but caught it before serving us our meal, and instead of wasting it, they gave us both. This was so thoughtful. Highly recommend!

Wow wow wow Arthur’s!!! You outdid yourself today!!! I kept hearing from a friend about the brunch at Arthur’s and about these best pancakes in the city. I was not planning on heading out this afternoon but made the trip and LET ME TELL YALL !!!! Me and my belly were left speechless with the amazing service from our waiter Stevo & the food coming out the kitchen. I challenge someone to refer me to better pancakes! And they don’t serve pork🙌🏾the beef bacon is really good. Everything was fantastic except for the second round of drinks. ( they ran out of OJ and tried to compensate with an alternative and took an L…. We appreciate the effort but oufff) We have found our new go to from breakfast & brunch! Tell em’ Jay sent ya!!

I made a reservation for Sunday breakfast but was surprised to find plenty of open seating when we arrived. That said, everything else was great. The cottage cheese pancakes were delicious, and the latke special tasted good with a nice side salad. Kind of a longer wait time for the food arrive though. Service was very friendly and attentive without being overbearing. A solid spot with good vibes.

Chicken schnitzel sandwich, cottage cheese pancakes, and croque tuna. Cottage cheese pancake are perfectly caramelized around the edges with pillowy, almost custardy middles with gooey cottage cheese interiors. They’re well-salted, not too sweet and perfect for a dousing of maple syrup. Everything is consistently tasty. Highly recommended. (They need more staff at peak time however because even with a rezzie, there quite a lineup before getting seated and the greeter also sets the tables!)

so HAPPY to be able to book a reservation which is very important when you have a toddler— we enjoyed our brunch and ordered plenty of dishes to share, everything was devoured! the highlight was the pancakes but unfortunately it was only for a limited time, I hope they keep it on the menu as it was phenomenal! coffee is good as always! ❤️
Louise S — Google review
Summary: Food takes 40+ minutes to arrive (incomplete). Offered no real explanation We got our orders in at 11:52 (waiter showed us the slip) and it somehow took until 11:32 for our food to arrive. I asked the person who delivered the food why it took so long and he literally walked away shrugging while yelling back "I'm just a waiter" People who were seated after we ordered were finished eating before anything came out from the kitchen. Our original waiter explains it's because the pancakes we ordered took 15-25 minutes. What the kitchen was doing for the other 20 we have no idea. We also noticed our pancakes didn't come with blueberries while everyone else's did. The waiter says he asked but neither of us remember this conversation, but it's insanely loud in the restaurant. This isn't mentioned anywhere on the menu either. He offered us a free coffee on the house but had no explanation for why it took 40 minutes for our food to arrive after the kitchen had gotten our ticket. I understand lunch is busy but it's literally the only shift this place is open for. Why do you only have 3 waiters and 4 cooks? There's a full time barista doing nothing 80% of the time. The food was fine but not worth waiting 40 minutes for, especially given that lunch break is just an hour/hour and a half, so we had to rush our meal and could barely enjoy it. Then he pulls out this machine where the lowest tipping option is 18%. I don't think the waiter did anything wrong here given he was able to provide receipts proving he punched the order in at 11:52 so I did leave him a tip, but it's unbelievable that an order placed BEFORE the main lunch rush took almost an hour to arrive.

Members of my family are immunocompromised, so I need to eat outside, and this place was very accommodating. They have covered seating, but they don’t assume anyone wants to eat outside, in the cold. One waiter agreed to wait on me outside! Food was served quickly after I ordered, and it was very beautifully plated! This place is magnifique!

Great food. Very friendly service. Lively atmosphere. All day brunch. Pancakes were fluffy. Potato fries were great. Mango Orange smoothie was too sour. I was expecting it to be a bit on the sweeter side. But guess they try to serve healthy food without adding any sugar which is good👍🏼.

We enjoyed a great breakfast at Eggspectation for our last meal in Montreal before heading home. Attentive staff with the food arriving quickly. So many great menu items that it was hard to choose! But everything we had was delicious, and we appreciated the fresh fruit that came with each dish. Great spot that I would definitely visit again for breakfast in the area!

Reasonably friendly service, and all the dishes look delicious. Unfortunately, I made a poor choice on my second visit — the dish was too spicy for my taste (which is entirely my fault, not the restaurant’s). The atmosphere is fairly welcoming, but it has a bit of a franchise vibe, so it’s not super cozy. Still, I recommend checking it out.

Deville Dinerbar, located in Montreal, Quebec, is a charming American restaurant offering a chic and delightful atmosphere. The eatery reimagines comfort food classics such as mac & cheese and burgers in a whimsical setting with marble tables. The menu features creative cocktails like the toasted marshmallow shake and a classic take on chicken and waffles.
While exploring Montreal, I randomly stopped someone on the street to ask for a good place to eat—and they recommended Deville Dinerbar. I’m so glad they did, because this place is an absolute gem! The food was incredible—every dish was packed with flavor and beautifully presented. And the drinks? Phenomenal. Truly some of the best I’ve had. But the highlight of my visit was Ken, the bartender. She is hands down one of the greatest I’ve ever encountered. Her craft, energy, and attention to detail were unmatched. Not only were her cocktails amazing, but her warm and genuine service made the entire experience unforgettable. You can tell she loves what she does, and it shows in every interaction. Deville Dinerbar turned what started as a casual outing into a memorable part of my trip. If you’re in Montreal, don’t miss this spot—and if you’re lucky enough to sit at the bar with Ken, you’re in for something special. 🍸✨

We went there on a Saturday early evening and we were a party of 3 with a 2 years old baby. Very friendly and attentive staff who welcomed us and were very patient and friendly with our baby. They do have indoor and outdoor seatings but I highly recommend the outdoor seatings since the weather was nice during our visit in late September. The atmosphere was a little bit loud since they play really loud music but at the end before our leave the music becomes more quiet and less noisy. Food was delicious and portions are easy to share with a group. I’d visit again to try their desserts.

We had an amazing brunch at this spot in Montreal! I ordered the Deville scramble with cheddar cheese eggs and potatoes — everything was so flavorful and perfectly cooked. The Caesar Bloody Marys were spicy, refreshing, and super tasty. My husband’s dish was also excellent. What a great restaurant. It's definitely a vibe and the service is wonderful. We made reservation on a Friday night and was seated right away. Our server was so friendly and attentive. Forgot his name but he's from Montana.😎 Everything we ordered was excellent. If we lived in Montreal we would definitely come back to try all the other things we liked. The beef ribs were cooked perfectly. The chips and dip were so good. We spiced up the feta dip with red pepper flakes and Montana brought us so hot sauces. The caesar salad was tasty with bits of bacon and crispy cheese. Highly recommend this place

Really wanted to have local oysters again so we decided to go to this place for brunch. Ordered half a dozen of oysters, a lobster Benny and beef ribs. We went to Deville Dinerbar on a Sunday night after a long drive from Ottawa, and it turned out to be an absolute surprise. The food was outstanding, full of flavor, and clearly made with care. They have an absolutely great beef program that truly stands out. We ordered the short ribs, cheeseburger, Caesar salad, tuna tacos, and fries. Every single dish was perfect. The burger was to die for, and the ribs were some of the best I’ve had anywhere in Canada. The presentation, taste, and overall quality were excellent. The restaurant itself is beautiful, vibrant, stylish, and full of energy. Another highlight was the service. When we arrived without a reservation, we asked for a booth, but the host mentioned they were all taken. One of the managers, who happened to be working at a booth at the back, overheard us and immediately offered us his own table. That thoughtful gesture made a great impression and really showed the professionalism and hospitality of the team. Deville Dinerbar definitely earned a new loyal customer that night. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Montreal

Beauty's Restaurant, located in Montreal's Plateau area, has been a beloved establishment since 1942. The retro 50s diner setting and classic menu have remained unchanged over the years. Known for its generous breakfast and brunch dishes, including Montreal bagels with lox and smoothies, Beauty's also offers signature dishes like the Beautys Special and the Mish-Mash omelette. The restaurant provides an authentic dining experience reminiscent of a bygone era.
So much fun, we waited in line outside in the rain. it was worth the wait for the experience. We all had Bloody Mary's . They supply all the fixings so you can make your own. Food is delicious, great deli sandwiches, pancakes with Canadian Maple syrup, all day breakfast. Definitely give it a try.

Well, this was a throwback for me visiting for the first time in about 40 years and the Mish Mash was exactly the same. Omelette was good and coffee/cappuccino was also good. Got some T-shirts to bring the memories back to New York. Service top notch and of course a wait, but expect it. Moves fast.

Are you an American in Montreal looking for a good, hearty breakfast that won’t break the bank? This is the place to go. Even if you’re not an American this place is still great for a classic diner feel. I’ve only had breakfast but their menu is big - be patient, it can get busy sometimes!

Beauty is a perfect word to describe this place. The service was incredible, the waitress had been there since the '80s and even met Bourdain, the food is exactly what I wanted after a night of many a beer, and the atmosphere was a nice modern take on a retro diner. You'll even see the family that started this place working hard. Really a great place to experience and support. 🍳

Modern, diner vibe. Service was very friendly and attentive. Very interesting venue. No eggs benny here if that's your thing but I thoroughly enjoyed the Paysanne omelet. Packed to the brim with ingredients. Bacon, potato, cheese and parsley. Very delicious. Home fries had a good texture. Not super crispy like they were deep fried but just a hint char from the flat top possibly. The Omelette was huge and well worth the value. We decided last minute to try to go early, get a walk in without resos and got lucky. From the sounds of it, they'll try to squeeze you in if they're full but probably a safer bet to reserve ahead of time. Thanks for the experience. Will definitely come again.

Fantastic spot for weekend brunch! My friend and I shared the blueberry pancakes, which were absolutely delicious—the perfect balance of fluffy texture and just the right amount of blueberries. We also tried the BLT, and it was an amazing mix of sweet and savory flavors that hit all the right notes. The interior has such a unique charm—it feels like stepping back into the ’80s, which I loved. Despite arriving on a busy Saturday around 2 PM, we were seated within just 15 minutes—a pleasant surprise! I can’t wait to come back and explore more of their menu, especially their smoothies!

Modern British restaurant

Breakfast restaurant
Bar George is a stunning venue that beautifully marries old-world charm with modern sophistication. Nestled in a meticulously restored heritage home once owned by Sir George Stephen, this boutique hotel offers an exquisite dining experience featuring Scottish and British cuisine infused with unique Quebecois twists. Guests can indulge in delightful dishes like crumpets topped with Earl Grey salmon or hearty veal cheek pie while soaking in the grandeur of the surroundings, which include 300-year-old stained glass and an Italian onyx fireplace.
Bar George offers a stunning atmosphere reminiscent of medieval Europe—easily one of the best settings in the city. The food is decent, and the service is polite and quick, but the prices are higher overall. Steak dishes are generally excellent, and the truffle gnocchi is delicate but not quite worth the price. The lobster risotto isn’t bad but has a distinct curry flavour. The mushroom soup is rich and flavorful—highly recommended. Most main dishes come with potatoes, so there’s usually no need to order extra sides. Despite glowing reviews, the curry chips lacked flavour, and the truffle mashed potatoes were average. Wine is extremely overpriced—around four times the retail price. Nothing caught my attention this time, so I skipped desserts, which is rare for me.

We went here after having a disappointed dinner somewhere else, the dessert here made me happy and had trust again in Montreal 🥺 Thank you to the Bar team service, after talking, we decided to spend our last meal on this trip here tomorrow lunch 🥺 Update: We went for the lunch the next day and it was phenomenal. We asked if we can get the beef wellington for lunch and they prepared it for us. The duck breast on the lunch set menu also very tasty, the dessert here is very something remarkable, every plate did not disappointed, it well-done, not overly sweet but just enough and layers of flavour just go so well together. Thanks so much for the last meal on our trip to remark us about Montreal cuisine.

This place is absolutely gorgeous! We celebrated my partner’s birthday there, and it was an experience of its own, not just a dinner date. The food was nicely served, and they offer split bowls, which I don’t see in Vancouver a lot. It’s a very convenient idea! Wellington was soft and delicious, and our favourite was the mushroom soup, which we couldn’t get enough of! The chicken roulade was soft, and the steak tartare was okay.

Bar George never disappoints when it comes to atmosphere and style. Set in a breathtaking heritage mansion, it’s one of those rare places where the décor alone makes you feel like you’re in for something special. On a lively Wednesday night, the vibe was spot on, energetic yet refined, the perfect backdrop for a business meeting or a relaxed evening out. The lobster risotto was rich and perfectly balanced, creamy without being heavy, and full of flavor. The truffle gnocchi followed suit, decadent, aromatic, and indulgent in all the right ways. Paired with a beautiful Italian Chardonnay, the meal hit a perfect note between elegance and comfort. Service was professional and friendly, though a touch more attentiveness would have elevated the experience to perfection. Still, the team delivered with warmth and class throughout the evening. You can’t help but wonder how electric this place must feel on a weekend, given how impressive it is midweek. Between the stunning setting, top-tier food, and refined energy, Bar George is a must-visit in Montreal, a timeless blend of grandeur and modern dining charm.

Add Bar George to your Montréal itinerary. The service is top-notch and the food is divine. The 6-pc fresh New Brunswick oysters starter was accompanied with tender, grated horseradish, and homemade vinegarette and hot sauce 🦪 It was excellent. The Chicken Roulade seemed to be the wallflower amongst the sophisticated dinner entrees but was the dark horse. The sliced, stuffed rolled chicken was mouth-melting with the Perigueux sauce. The accompanying king oysters and truffle pavé was delectable. This dish deserves an award 🏅

Advice: there are plenty of parking places near and once inside try to take a picture with you on the stairs that drives you to the second floor that will be a perfect photo.

I had an amazing dining experience! The food was exceptional; especially the Beef Wellington, which was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Service was impressively fast, and our waiter Zachery was an absolute delight. He recommended the perfect dessert and was incredibly accommodating with my non-alcoholic drink requests. His friendly and attentive service really elevated the experience. Highly recommend this place, trust me, you won’t be disappointed!

Coffee shop
Tommy Café is a charming bi-level coffee shop located in Old Montreal, with two locations that offer a contemporary coffee program and a light breakfast and brunch menu. The café features mid-century modern furnishings and old-world architectural details, creating an upscale yet inviting atmosphere. Housed in the historic British Empire Building from 1874, the café boasts elegant and modern décor designed by Zebulon Perron while retaining the building's original charm.
Not a lot of places use their vertical space well. Most of them just have the two separate floors with a stairway just to get between them but I really like what Tommys did. They have half way spaces on the way up to the second floor that looks out at everyhing. Opening up the second story and having that inbetween space really makes the place feel like there is not a bad spot throughout. The pastries looked great but we ended up just going with some cold brew which had a nice chocolatly note. It was a little bit busy but we were able to get our drink and seats almost imediatly so it ended up not being too bad. Overall a great place for coffee.

Tommy Café is a beautiful, airy spot with a great vibe, perfect for catching up or getting some work done. The service was friendly, and the space is definitely Instagram-worthy. I had an oat cappuccino and a pastry. The pastry was solid, but the coffee fell a bit flat, the oat cappuccino could use more flavor and balance. Still, a lovely place overall. I'd come back to try something else on the menu.

The selection and size of the avocado toast is worth 5 stars. A local took us to her favorite of the classic Montreal cafes and I understand why it is so popular. We had lunch and things were bustling. Staff were friendly and kept things clean including the upstairs bathrooms. I’m a Tommy Cafe bro forever.

While visiting Montreal, I made a point of stopping by this café after bookmarking it on Google. The cute decor and positive reviews had already caught my attention. Parking was difficult to find, so we ended up walking quite a bit after leaving the car. I loved the café’s corner location, which gave it a charming vibe, especially with the staircase leading up to it. The layout was unique, with multiple levels and scattered seating, although it was tricky to find space for our group of four and we eventually split into pairs. We tried several items. The iced matcha latte with vanilla wasn’t the strongest I’ve had, but the flavor was still enjoyable. The lavender latte was a pleasant surprise, carrying the lavender notes beautifully without being overpoweringly floral. The matcha cookie quickly became a favorite. It was so good that we went back to grab the last one. While I wished for a slightly stronger matcha flavor, the texture was perfect and the sweetness level just right. It just really hit the spot. The Avococo was another delicious pick, with well-balanced flavors. The grilled cheese was tasty but small and a bit plain (they could use more cheese and maybe even a variety of types), while the tomato soup served alongside was creamy, herb-forward, and flavorful, though also quite small for the price. Overall, everything we tried tasted great, the service was friendly, and the café itself is beautifully decorated and unique. That said, the price point is a bit higher than I’m used to, especially considering the portion sizes.

Super adorable cafe adjacent to Notre Dame basilica and square. Many great quaint seating options from the beautiful front steps to one of the 3 levels inside. Great toasts and treats and drinks.
David L — Google review
This spot offers a wonderful atmosphere and outstanding food. However, the seating can be challenging—groups of five or six need to act fast to secure a table, as the unique seating setup can cause some inconvenience. Overall, it’s a vibrant place with plenty to enjoy despite the seating hassle.
Srishti K — Google review
Love the layout and atmosphere of this Cafe! The layered/multi floor setup is fun. It can get crowded and loud but it's fun and staff were so friendly. Good was fresh and delicious.
James S — Google review
Stepping into this café felt like a pause button in the middle of a busy city day. The natural light, the ceramic-patterned plates, and the casual elegance of the setup created the ideal backdrop for what became a delightful breakfast experience. Trying Cuban coffee (Café Cubano) for the first time was a standout moment—bold, beautifully layered, with a rich crema and subtly sweet finish. It was love at first sip! The texture and intensity were unlike any other espresso-style coffee I’ve had. 🥐 The croissant was flakey and buttery, and paired perfectly with the robust coffee. 🥯 The bagel was fresh, and the ham & mozzarella croissant sandwich was savory and satisfying, especially with the fresh side salad. 🌸 The macarons added a sweet, dainty touch to end the meal on a light note.

Delivery Restaurant
ChuChai is a Thai restaurant in Saint-Denis that caters to vegetarians and vegans with its extensive menu of mock meats and seafood. The eatery offers familiar Asian favorites like chicken skewers with peanut sauce, shrimp curry, and steamed fish with ginger, all made from vegetable-based substitutes that closely mimic the texture and flavor of meat. The upscale atmosphere appeals to a young professional crowd, offering an expansive cocktail list alongside their dinner menu.
Where do I even begin with this place? There's so much going on that's great. The food is absolutely to die for, the service was top shelf as well, and the dining room was alive with chatter and laughter on a Saturday evening. Our waitress was amazing (might have been the owner) as she was very knowledgeable of the menu and seemed so proud of it. As it turns out, she deserved to be. We tried maybe 10% of the menu and every bite was exquisite! Each of the 3 appetizers we ordered were the best versions of it we've ever had, and one of which was award winning. We ordered 2 entrees to share among the 3 of us, and we were all shocked at how good they were. Particularly, the vegan duck. The texture and taste combination had us begging for our bodies to grow another stomach. We finished the night with probably the best chocolate cake we've ever had. Truly. The moistness of the cake in combination with the texture and perfectly sweetened icing had us melting in our chairs. I'm not a fan of icing and I could've eaten this by the spoonful. Finally, I had the bloody vegan for my drink that came with a fried vegan shrimp on a skewer to top it off. It was awesome as well and I had to have 2. Long story short, go try ChuChai. It's worth the visit from the moment you sit down to the final bite.

One of the best and authentic Thai food in Montreal. Their red curry and green curry are too good! I was dreaming about it 2 days after I had the food. Their vegan chicken skewers are amazing with ting of lemon! I recommend the place every single time. It gets really crowded in the summer, so call to reserve.

I brought my meat lovers, and they LOVED everything we had, they said that it tasted very very good and they would go again. Falafel St. Jacques is a charming Mediterranean eatery located in Ville SaintPierre. Run by a Jewish-Muslim team, this neighborhood institution offers a variety of Mediterranean dishes such as falafel, kebabs, and salads. The menu features meatless options like shawarma and shishtaouk made with shiitake mushrooms instead of chicken, making it popular among vegans.
St-Jacques Falafel is truly a gem! The highlight of the visit was the owner-hostess herself — such a warm, genuine person whose energy makes you instantly feel at home. The service was attentive and welcoming, and I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious the vegetarian options were. Honestly, I never thought veg dishes could be this flavorful and satisfying — each bite was fresh, vibrant, and full of taste. If you’re looking for amazing food paired with heartfelt hospitality, St-Jacques Falafel is the place. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

We stumbled across Falafel St. Jacques looking for spots on our way back to Old Montreal from the airport. It was our favorite meal so far in 3 days of this trip! Easily one of the best meals I've had recently in general. My family eats a lot of falafel and shawarma in California, and this was one of the best I've had. For 12$ USD, we each got a pita sandwich and choice of two sides and a drink! I had the Jerusalem trio pita with tabbouleh and mushrooms - so flavorful. My dad got the same with baba ghanoush and eggplant, which were divine. Probably could have taken home leftovers, but it was all too good not to finish right away. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. We could have stayed and talked with them for hours. We even got recommendations for our next stop in Quebec City. The team said they cook for other like they cook at their homes, and you can taste the love. Everything was so fresh and flavorful. I WISH we had a Falafel St. Jacques in our hometown - I'd go every day!

Came to Montreal for Formula 1 weekend and stayed in the neighbourhood of Falafel St. Jacques. Went for lunch and was welcomed so warmly by the woman behind the counter. She was super informative and so friendly. We got a Falafal Trio fully loaded and slightly spicy and our first bite was a stare at one another moment. Soooo tasty. It came with a salad where you get to choose two items from a healthy number of choices. I got the mushroom salad (highly recommend) and paired it with the avocado salad. Super happy we stumbled into this place. Absolutely would recommend.

My wife and I were passing through Montreal doing our Harley Davidson Dealership visits and found this place down the road. BEST DECISION EVER! The lady who helped us was the NIECEST person we could have hoped for, the food was OUTSTANDING and the place is such a cute little city food MUST! Sitting outside on the deck our hostess (and I'm so sorry I didn't get her name) came to check on us, brought us some free pastries and then before we left she dropped another chocolate dessert on the table for our ride back to Ottawa. WE WILL BE BACK!

Deli
Takeout Restaurant
Snowdon Deli is a classic Montreal-style Jewish deli located in the Cote-des-Neiges neighborhood. Established in 1946, it offers a wide range of traditional deli favorites such as smoked meats, sandwiches, matzoh ball soup, and rich cheesecake. The menu includes items like potato knish, latkes, varenikes, corned beef, kasha knish, roasted brisket and their famous smoked meat sandwiches.
Excellent Classic Smoked Meat Sandwich. Had the smoked meat sandwich “medium” and old-fashioned spiced, just as recommended—absolutely excellent. Tender, juicy, and full of flavour. The fries were tasty too, though most pieces were too short /small for my liking. Still enjoyable. Added a cherry Coke for the full throwback deli experience. All around, a great visit.
Vince D — Google review
There are those who claim other smoked meat places are better. Those people are what's known as wrong. Snowdon has been in business for over 75 years for a reason... they make the best smoked meat in Montreal. Solid fries and the rest of their menu is great, but the smoked meat is where it's at. My family has been going for over 50 years... I currently live seven hours away and I would happily make the drive just for a sandwich.
Jay M — Google review
Our second favorite of the three smoked meat spots we tried. The sandwich was tasty, meat was well done and lovely peppery flavor, and the matzo ball soup was delicious. The service was on the slow side, the staff’s friendliness made up for it.
Renerose S — Google review
Whilst most tourists opt for the Montreal Smoked Meat at the iconic' Schwartz '. We decided to follow the recommendations of a few local chefs and head over to another Montreal institution, ' Snowdon Deli ' instead. In our opinion, in addition to equally if not better tasting Smoked meat, Corn Beef and Brisket, Snowdon also offers a bigger and more varied menu. The result? A most enjoyable casual lunch with stand-out sandwiches, Jewish deli fare and a mindbogglingly good Chicken soup with dumplings( kreplach)!

I'd say that this is the best smoked meat sandwich that I ever had. It was extremely moist, tender, and had a ton of flavor. Their pickles were also excellent and true fermented deli pickles. If you're from NY or NJ, you'd love this place.

Went to Schwartz the past 2 times until someone recommended me to Snowdon Deli. I highly rate their smoked meat sandwich. We also had the Snowdon special and coleslaw. Both were good. Byblos Le Petit Cafe is a charming Persian coffeehouse in Montreal, run by a warm and welcoming family. The founder, Hemela, along with her daughter Nina and grandson Reza Laurent, create a cozy atmosphere where guests can enjoy fragrant stews, dips with pita bread, Iranian tea, and the finest herb feta.

Hidden gem in Montréal! This is such a lovely and cozy restaurant. Whether you want to grab something to eat or just drink something, this is a beautiful place to do so. There's a nice variety of dishes and desserts. The service is kind and quick. And the atmosphere is just top-tier - the decoration is great and the vibe is so chill. Definitely recommended!

If you're used to Western breakfasts like omelets, English ham and sausage, and Mon coco etc, try a traditional Iranian breakfast. Byblos Restaurant is named after a city in present-day Libya with a 7,000-year history, once ruled by the Persian Empire. Naan, feta cheese, dill herbs, olives, and radish, along with a cup of sweet Persian tea, make up the essential Persian breakfast. The warm, freshly baked bread and naan, paired with homemade jam from an Iranian mother, and the aromatic flavors of ginger and rose petals, create a rich and complex flavor. Add scrambled eggs between pita bread for a complete and luxurious Iranian breakfast.

We made a special trip from Toronto to try this Iranian-style brunch, and it was absolutely worth it! The highlight was definitely the house-made bread and jam — wonderfully aromatic with a unique flavor that keeps you wanting more. I especially recommend their feta cheese: creamy and full of depth. Overall, a fantastic experience, and we’ll definitely be back.

Disappointing Experience. After many years, going back to this café was very disappointing. The service was extremely slow and poor. The food portions were small, and the sugar loaf (naan ghandi) was completely stale. They completely forgot to bring one of our orders, yet at the end, they had added it to our bill. When we pointed it out, they corrected the bill without any apology or sign of concern. won’t be going back, and if you do visit, make sure to double-check your final bill.

We had Sunday brunch. The standard breakfast menu includes a beverage, bread of some sort, jam and potentially eggs. You can however order from anywhere in the menu including a variety of egg-based pies like quiche and prepared spreads like hummus, eggplant or beet-based concoctions that come with different types of bread for dipping. Gluten free bread and pita is available on request. The dishes were delicious though simple and more filling than they look. This is a good place to go for a group to share a few different dishes and get a good sampling.

The kitchen is known for its impeccable delivery of seafood dishes, including recipes from renowned chef Marcus Samuelsson and new creations from executive chef Jason Morris.
We had the most magical experience at Marcus! It was supposed to be my daughter’s prom night, but she didn’t attend; so we decided to make the evening special in our own way, she always wanted to go there, i made the réservation and I called the restaurant last minute to ask if they could leave a little note on her dessert, and although they said it might be too short notice, they went above and beyond. When we arrived, there was a beautiful note waiting on the table, and the staff were incredibly kind and thoughtful. Everyone congratulated her, and it truly made her feel celebrated and seen. You turned what could have been a sad night into one she’ll always remember. Thank you for your kindness, your care, and your amazing service. You made her night—and mine—absolutely unforgettable. 💖 I can’t recall the waiter's name, but he was someone we will never forget. He was an exceptional person, very kind, and provided exceptional service! Thank you VERY much, Marcus team!

Really great time, very beautiful setting and fairly attentive and fast service. The food was delicious... Especially the dessert menu where you get to see all the desserts in real life instead of a paper menu... Pretty cool! Underground parking entrance was impossible to spot with all the city construction... Ended up parking in the parking garage down the street There was a bit unclarity if taxes were being added on the tip and the hostess didn't really clarify... It was a few dollars so we let it go but it would be nice if the bill was clearer.

Great experience here at Marcus we had a group of 9 and got a nice more private area seating spot. We ordered everything family style and shared everything we had ordered. We had someone who was vegetarian and the resturant accommodated by making a truffle pasta which was not on the menu specifically for him! A few of the notable mentions are the bluefin tuna tartar, the wagyu beef (this is market price so be aware of the weight), and the portobello mushroom (incredible!) We got each of the desserts that were available and my favourite was the round dark chocolate tart (unfortunately I don't remember the name of this but it was delicious if you like chocolatey things!

Great service, ambiance and staff ! Will never stop going 🤣 The pasta and lobster are 12/10. Never disapointed !! The truffle fries are also a must everytime ! Sea Tower : Fresh and delicious ! The sauce that came with shrimp was delicious 😋 The salads were a good portion and also great!

The chef table experience was wonderful. Appreciate the thoughtfulness in crafting a menu that was suited to my dietary needs. The service was exquisite. The meal started with caviar on a latke that was crispy on the outside and creamy inside. Next was a bluefin tuna tartare with wasabi cream and radishes, this dish was beautiful and had the perfect balance of textures. Our third dish was a caramelized scallop with a dairy free hollandaise sauce, the sauce was tart and absolutely delicious. The next dish was the stand out for me, steamed cod with the most amazing vegetables—this was absolute perfection! The last dish was a cherry sorbet inside a vanilla meringue cup which was so pretty! Really appreciated this addition, as finding dairy free and gluten free desserts can be challenging. Absolutely recommend this experience. Thank you for a wonderful meal! Also a note, we had breakfast at this restaurant as well and everything was great. The chia pudding is amazing! There are dairy free and gluten free options for breakfast!

The cocktails are top-notch, perfectly crafted and balanced. The service is outstanding, the staff and waitresses are welcoming, attentive, and professional, making you feel genuinely cared for. Their valet service is quick and efficient, adding to the overall seamless experience. Yesss! Highly recommended for anyone looking for an elegant and memorable dining experience in Montréal.

@Robyn Lazare: I dined at Marcus for brunch. $75 for myself alone and I received a two egg omelet with a cherry tomato and one slice of toast. Not a breakfast potato or accompaniment in sight. After being told they had run out of orange juice.. No orange juice?!?!? Do they have oranges? It was replaced by an $11 glass of grapefruit juice with a film around the glass like it had been stored in the fridge for days. I received my $10 cappucino in the tiniest cup without so much as a sprinkle of cinnamon and it was cold. After requesting for it to be replaced, I received my coffee at the end of my meal. The lovely girl who worked there told me that she is forbidden to eat at her own place of work as she requires several sign off signatures for the honour. I guess they value their staff even less than there customers. What a ripoff!! It seems I was even overcharged for a green juice which obviously I did not have. $14 for old stagnant grapefruit juice. $10 gratuity was added on to the bill for my server who was the only good thing about the experience.

Spanel did not disappoint! The ambience was lovely, and the staff were both attentive and knowledgeable. I had the special crepe of the day, which came with a mimosa and a delicious soup—such a great combo. The crepe itself was next-level: Serrano hamon, roasted cherry tomatoes, spinach, arugula, goat cheese, all wrapped in a buckwheat crepe with a perfectly fried egg on top. The staff recommended adding maple syrup—and wow, that took it over the top! I’m definitely going back to try more from the menu. Highly recommend!

I got the savory crepe that had two scrambled eggs and sausages. My wife ended up having one that had olives, arugula, some tomato and hummus. The presentation of the crepes is great. The ingredients are good and the taste is decent. The satiety factor is low. There just wasn't a lot in the crepes. Other than that, service was good and the atmosphere was cool. Waitress was very friendly. The value of the savory crepes just wasn't there for us, but it may be for others.

My partner and I were staying in Griffintown for a few days, and tried this place for breakfast/brunch one day. What a gem..!!! They had their patio at the front of the restaurant, which meant we were able to eat with our furbaby (very important!), and the crêpes were amazing. I also paired mine up with some pineapple juice, which was so perfect and fresh. Service was quick, friendly, and easy-going. Everything about that meal was perfect, that when we ended up in Montréal again a few days later but was too far from Griffintown to walk to the restaurant, we ended up ordering the crêpes online for delivery to a hotel on the other end of downtown! And how those crêpes held up so well despite a 20-minute drive is honestly beyond me. (All their food packaging was also environment-conscious, recyclable or compostable, a huge plus for me!). We will most definitely be visiting Spanel every time we find ourselves in Montréal.

Southern restaurant (US)
Dinette Triple Crown is a cozy spot in Little Italy, Montreal, known for its exceptional Southern comfort food. The restaurant offers a variety of dishes such as brisket, pulled pork, hush puppies, shrimp & grits, and red beans & rice. What sets it apart is the option to get your meal packed in a picnic basket during the warmer months so you can enjoy it at the nearby park. Chef Colin Perry's Kentucky-inspired recipes have gained immense popularity with locals and visitors alike.
hands down one of THE BEST southern food in Montreal (or in the east coast) by far! their biscuits are flaky, crispy on the outside and soft in the middle, chickens are absolutely amazing, waffles are the savory kind with herbs, and desserts are perfect.
Tami W — Google review
The fried chicken was decent. It was freshly fried so that made it taste good enough, but the batter felt a little off, maybe seasoning, maybe oil too hot, and the breast was a little dry. But overall, the biscuit was amazing, mashed potatoes and gravy were good and the waffles were tasty. We also got a derby pie, if I remember the name correctly, and it tasted very sweet but not in a bad way, but the crust was very hard, dry and felt old. I will give this place another chance at a later time. Hoping for a better experience!

Okay, this place is AMAZING! the staff are so kind and the food is incredibly delicious. The gravy, mac and cheese, and biscuits were really really good and the desserts as well! I got the key lime pie and also tried a bit of the blueberry cheesecake. I seriously can’t wait to go back and try their chicken and waffles and other rotational desserts!!

The setting is old school and really well maintained. The table was huge, each group was assigned to a different part. We had jars as glasses which were cute. It looks like the menu can change either every week or every few weeks. Today, we were able to get the new chicken burger which was delicious. Forgot to take a picture of it when it was whole... Loved the sauce in the burger, made the chicken more flavorful! The chicken was well fried too. But, the mash potato was my favorite. Soft, tender, it melted in my mouth! Perfect combo with the gravy that was provided in the middle of the mash potato like a tub. The atmosphere was great with the jazz-like music they had. Excellent experience! The servers were really nice, too.

I give it a 4.5/5. Delicious South American food, more specifically it's from the state of Kentucky. I usually prefer Korean fried chicken for the batter's crunchiness and the chicken's moistness. However, this fried chicken was also delicious. The crust isn't too thick but the chicken was perfectly cooked. It was also well marinated and seasoned! You could eat it without the sauces or gravy which were all homemade. The mac and cheese was gorgeous. My dad who isn't a fan also loved it. It has something special in it. The Popeye's biscuits were crispy and soft in the inside. They weren't too dry and had a nice garlic hint to it. They are however not my favorite. The desserts were also very good, but I preferred bagatelle Pina colada trifle to the Derby pie. Overall, the service was very nice. The restaurant was small but rustic and warm. It's best to get a reservation if you plan to arrive a little later than 18:00 but it's not necessary. The food was delicious and will definitely go back.

Fried chicken was okay with a light batter, mac n cheese was nice & creamy . Waffles were a bit stale . Interesting maple syrup with a lil spicy kick . Great Biscuits, Loved the side of hushpuppies with their ranch sauce. Fun experience with everything in Picnic basket and ate the park.
Rich J — Google review
Ordered sweet tea, waffles and fried chicken. Total is about 30$. Waffles and tea were good but the fried chicken was old, dry and under seasoned. You could get better chicken at your local grocery store where they let the pieces sit under a lamp for 16 hours at a time, and it would only cost you 8$. When chicken is the only protein you have, better make it good if you dare to charge that much..

Simply the best sandwitch and sweet potato I have ever had in my life. All were delicious in a real classy ambient with reasonable prices. They have their own special sauce which makes the taste amplified and the food more tender. Feeling like a valuable discovery.

Nestled just a stone's throw from the bustling Atwater Market, Resto-Café Quoi De N'Oeuf has been delighting brunch enthusiasts for over two decades with its inventive egg dishes and charming ambiance adorned with art. This family-friendly gem in Saint-Henri is a must-visit for anyone craving a cozy brunch experience. Their signature deep-dish brunch casserole is an absolute highlight that you simply cannot miss!
Great breakfast spot that's open early. Early bird special (before 9am) is limited menu at $10 and great value. Breakfasts have baguette and rye bread options in addition to white or brown toast. The breakfast potatoes are super tasty. Crepes are nice and thin, waffles are fluffy, served with REAL maple syrup, not table or corn syrup. Highchair and changing table are available. Steps at entrance and bathroom limit accessibility.

we enjoyed the food and the ambiance a lot ☺️ cozy brunch place with fair prices so you can't go wrong! we also tried the chicken & waffle , which usually is a hit-or-miss from other spots, but this time, it was so delicious!
Cyncoco — Google review
Variety of breakfast choices and well priced food. The portion wasn’t too big so it’s perfect for someone who doesn’t like wasting and doesn’t want to overeat. My ordering was made perfectly and the sides and the fruits were very fresh. When we asked for some extra, they actually found a way to charge us with lower price instead of reordering the full dish. I found that’s very thoughtful and defiantly going back!
Solstice C — Google review
The skillet casserole was very flavourful and the portion was indeed very generous. The only downside was after half of the portion it got a bit salty, although most times restaurants tend to go more on the salty side to bring out the flavour. My friend got the chicken waffle, my favourite part might be the sunny side up egg! And we did get free refills of the coffee. Fruit juice was very fresh. I’d say the prices are on the higher end for brunch in Montreal. Overall a good experience!

service was very quick. pancakes were dense and chewy, i liked them. casserole had lots of veggies which was nice. benedit eggs were Ok. all dishes come with coffee. vibe was nice. i’d go back again!

We were excited to try this place due to its good review, however, we were so disappointed on the food we had. We ordered the chicken waffle, queen casserole & the cheese crepe. The chicken waffle ($18) is the worst ever out of all brunch places we've tried, the meat was so dry and hard to the point it was even hard to cut. The crepe was tasteless, the casserole was ok. We let the waitress know about the chicken at the end when we paid the bill not having any intention to ask for discount, but to let them know they should improve on that. The manager seemed to not care about the comments since we finished the plate anyways. At the end she decided to offer a 10% discount but sorry, I don't think i would recommend this place to friends.

Run by experienced chefs, the restaurant provides a bright and stylish space for patrons to enjoy classic comfort foods like schnitzel and babka. The menu features a variety of dishes influenced by Sephardic, Ashkenazi, and Mizrahi cooking traditions.
We went here for brunch and loved it! The pancakes were thick, sweet and savory — so delicious. It can get quite busy, so you might have to wait around lunchtime. Even with kids, we were able to get a table, and my little ones really enjoyed the pancakes too. Thank you to the staff for being so kind and accommodating despite the crowd!
I A — Google review
My boyfriend and I decided to stop by because of all the good reviews we’ve seen online, however we were unpleasantly surprised. We were warned that one of the plates would take a little longer since it was pancakes, which was no issue, but when the plates arrived they were severely undercooked. We had the seasonal special pancakes and the breakfast sandwich, so undercooked eggs and flour could be a little scary for some people. The service definitely had a lot of room for improvement and even though it is a busy spot, there should be more efforts in making the experience pleasant (ex: no one came to see if our food was to our liking, the waiter was very short while taking orders, I had asked for the maple syrup on the side and received my plate covered in it, etc.). The strawberries on the pancakes were very fresh and the price was pretty good too! Overall, we wouldn’t come back.
Emma J — Google review
I really enjoyed the dishes we got. Nearly a person 10/10 on the pancakes! The quality of the salmon was there; nothing fishy. I honestly would come back for the food, maybe to go. The service was super ok. We were seated in an awkward spot to begin with. Also, our waiter seemed to have a bit of an attitude. May have just been is demeanour. Either way, it wasn’t as friendly as I would have liked it to be. It didn’t ruin my experience by all means. I’m lucky to not have waited to get seat but I would also imagine this may be annoying on top of ok service.
Cindy M — Google review
I really enjoyed the food — the toast à la marocaine and the special syrniki with pumpkin, pecan, and cinnamon were both delicious. Portions are generous and the flavors are amazing. The place is stylish and cozy, perfect for a relaxed meal. The only downside was the long wait (about 2 hours), which can be frustrating. It would be great if they started accepting reservations. I’ll definitely come back!
Sofia R — Google review
Really fantastic place. Make sure you are either prepared to wait a while, or show up at opening time. We were prepared for the long wait, so we enjoyed a coffee at a nearby cafe as we waited for a table to be ready. The staff member who was in charge of the waitlist was really great. He was perfectly comfortable in both English and French, and very friendly. Our food was excellent, and came out quickly! I would also recommend the strawberry lemonade iced tea, which was super yum and not too sweet.
Kiara — Google review
The food is good and the service as well. The pancakes we’re one of the best I’ve ever had, they are cheesy pancakes. They are thick and the texture is just amazing. Their eggs and salami is very good as well, the scrambled eggs are soft and buttery. Not the cheapest brunch, but if you don’t take too many items it’s pretty affordable. Definitely recommend! Try to come near opening to avoid waiting for too long :)
Guillaume G — Google review
NEVER AGAIN! I went to Arthur’s to finally see what all the long-lasting hype was about. Big disappointment. They seated me at the very end of the bar, right next to the cash register and the kitchen entrance. I was squeezed in between two young ladies, feeling awkward and in the way, with zero room for my elbows or knees. The setup was absolutely ridiculous : comfort should be the bare minimum in any restaurant, and here it was nonexistent. The dish itself was fine, nothing special, certainly not worth the hype. Overall, uncomfortable experience, average food. I don’t recommend it and I won’t be coming back.

The BEST pancakes you’ll ever taste in Montreal!! So original and deeeelicious!!!! Even their avocado toast is yummy, but you MUST try the pancakes. They are a perfect balance of sweet & salty….crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside!! Definitely worth the hype and the wait!

Orange Café is a Canadian comfort-food spot in NDG that serves breakfast all day and transforms into a lively bar at night. The restaurant is praised for its classic breakfast platters, fresh fruit, and wide selection of condiments. The cozy interior, quick and friendly service, and extensive menu make it a popular choice among locals and visitors alike.
Today I went to the Orange Cafe On Decarie with my two friends. It happened to be the Day of Trump‘s inauguration. The waitress had us right underneath the TV screen. We all ordered breakfast dishes. I had the Mexican omelet my friend had the waffles, and my other friend had avacado toast. My omelet was delicious. It included a soup. Both my friends enjoyed their food as well. The dishes included unlimited coffee. This was my fourth time at this restaurant. The waitress was friendly and the service was good. It has a nice ambience. It’s a well known establishment on the west side. The portions are generous as well. I would recommend this place.

Potatoes we're refreshing and unique. They are well seasoned with some nice onions and peppers. Delicious potatoes and different from any other brunch restaurants. I took the sandwich déjeuner in a croissant and it was excellent. Bacon was just enough crispy and not too fat. Will come again for sure

So, we biked around the super pretty Ave Duluth and stumbled upon this place. It's got cool graffiti outside, but inside it's all vintage vibes with stuff from like, 50 years ago. We got a Mexican crepe, an egg sandwich, and a lentil burrito. I even told the server it was the best brunch we've had in Montreal! The owner was super nice and told us all about the cafe's history. Seriously, you gotta check it out next time you're on Duluth street.

We went solely on the high reviews, knowing nothing of the menu/venue. First impressions was that place was rather small and the decor reminded us of seaside bars in the Caribbean or South America. I ordered the Portuguese Breakfast and my wife had the Mexican Crêpe. We were absolutely blown away by the food - it's truly fantastic and the servings were plentiful. We still managed to clean off our plates. We would absolutely recommend this restaurant and will definitely return to try other items. It's also worth noting that my meal was served with what I think was homemade chipotle sauce - whatever it was, it was dang good!

Love to see a small place with a huge personality succeed! I was blown away by the beautiful decor, the unique mugs, and every detail that took me back to my Caribbean roots. The service was amazing and the food was even better! They have perfected the recipe of a great restaurant - unique flavors, great service, and a location that is so easy to get to. If I’m ever back in Montreal, I will surely be back! ¡Buen provecho!

Adorable little spot with lots of personality and charm. Very cozy! Feels like you’re having breakfast at your friends house. Excellent service by William: he’s quick, funny and knows how to help an indecisive customer. The food is amazing. I had the classic omelette with chorizo and it’s probably the best omelette I’ve ever had. There was a bit of waiting time, but they’re very organized by using Yelp Waitlist. Great experience overall and will definitely come back :)

Mega slow service but food was good. Better tasting than other touristy places. Not a lot of options. Mainly sandwich and crepe. Not worth a detour but good if you’re in the area. Sitting under a black tented patio was extra HOT!

We came for brunch. The wait was not long at all. The food was delicious and the service was impeccable. The weekend seafood soup is a must try. Sarah, the owner, was so sweet and efficient. I highly recommend!

I really thought brunch here was amazing. I had coffee, a fresh juice, and egg tart and the vegetarian crepe. Everything was awesome. It’s the best egg tart I’ve had outside of Portugal. The waiter told me they have them brought in from a bakery in Ontario. It was warm inside in August as there is no AC but outside seating is cute.

We had a great mid-afternoon hang at Chez José. They were gracious to accommodate our large party of 6, but it is a very small place and we felt bad. They assured us all was well and treated very kindly with loving vibes. The food was excellent. Pig Mac hot dog with mac and cheese, pulled pork, bbq sauce and caramelized onions late at night. Because it’s close to a lot of bars and night clubs it’s a good option if you’re hungry with your friends after a night of fun. They close at 3am on Thursday to Saturday and at 11pm the rest of the week. Been to the original Dirty Dogs back in 2015 when there was only one location Mt Royal street that served only hot dogs so I’m glad to see they really took off. Nowadays they also have a bar, tacos, poutine and more. Enjoy!
Nicolas — Google review
Service was ridiculously understaffed. The one waiter was running around like mad (props to him!) with no support. Food took a long time and ended up being cold. Drinks were good with a heavy pour and the view onto the street is always a hoot (only redeeming qualities of the place unfortunately). Music was too loud inside. All in all, this place has gone downhill a lot since we last went. It was maybe due to the street festival and having the outdoor terrace hit them with unexpected volume. I'm hoping they get it all figured out. I used to love Dirty Dogs. I'll be back later this summer when there is no festival and hopefully we'll find the old Dirty Dogs!

One of the worst poutines that I have ever tasted. Requested for a vegetarian poutine, but it is made in the same place and vessels as the meat one. The phone in the restaurant (shown in google maps) does not work. And I had to contact them through Facebook. And that was another absolute nightmare! The person who responded was so rude! Would not recommend this at all!

I had to stop at this spot just off the name alone lol. ordered the poutine with fried chicken and substituted the waffle for red peppers. This meal was great!! Service was top notch and they explain everything on the menu thoroughly. I didn't order a drink, but the ones my friends ordered we're pretty large. I'd recommend this place for a quick bite.
London S — Google review
The place is amazing. The food is very tasty. Their house drafted beer is amazing as well. Very smooth beer, would recommend. And their poutine is a must try!!! Found it even better than the burger and i gave the burger a 5/5. Worth checking this place out for sure
Paarth K — Google review
I wish I could give this place a 0. The poutine sauce tasted rotten and as though there was mold somewhere in the process. I got home and felt extremely sick. They got our order wrong 3 times….only to find out it’s because the menu had an error in it which they never fixed🥲 We waited 1 hour and decided to just leave. The place is DIRTY. The menus are torn and gross. This place should get a fine for dangerous food prep and poor cleanliness. Absolutely wasted money and time. You can see the picture of the menu is Torn!
Brickinthe H — Google review
I've always walked by this place and never came in until today. The service is slow, the burger is expensive with it being tiny... It's ridiculous. The Mac poulet 2.0 was okay but the chicken on top was soggy... I thought it would have been fried or something. Beer was on the warmer side.

I went with a vegan friend who loves their pastries. It is a very colorful and welcoming small business. I ordered the cranberry scone with pecans and couldn't have been happier. Perfection! They were having a buy one get one sale on lemon and raspberry cake squares so we also took advantage of that. The service was very friendly and I would recommend it if you're in the area.

Please open a location in Ottawa 😭 You have ruined me for vegan baked goods. I can’t stop thinking about the vegan almond croissant. It’s fluffy and crispy, sweet but not too sweet. That almond paste is too good. The matcha latte with maple syrup is good. When I return to Montreal I plan on getting a hotel nearby to have brunch here. The scone with lemon and walnut was great too. They also have savoury baked goods. The staff is kind and there are small tables within the bakery.

This was the best bakery we went to in Montreal. Definitely the best and freshest tasting croissants, with the almond one being our favorite! The croissants had a nice presentation, flaky, crispy exterior and layers and layers of delicious flaky soft dough on the inside. The almond one has a delicious almond paste filling inside. We gobbled up the savory treats and bought frozen ones to take on the plane with us. It’s so impressive how they make their own butter, phyllo dough etc… 10 stars if I could.

Sophie Sucrée is such a charming little vegan bakery with a warm and welcoming vibe. The pink storefront instantly catches your eye, and the inside is just as sweet as the treats they serve. Everything looks freshly baked and beautifully presented, with a great mix of pastries, cookies, and croissants. It’s a cozy spot that feels local and genuine, perfect for grabbing a treat and coffee while exploring the neighborhood.

Delicious, all-vegan pastry shop. * croissant - 9.5/10 excellent * almond croissant - unbelievable * salted caramel cheesecake - very good * spinach pastry - very good, * banana bread - pretty good. * apple spice cake - great * Cranberry almond scone - very good * brownie - a bit lacking * chocolate chip cookie - just okay * onion and pepper pizza from the day old shelf - pretty good. They'll heat it up the savory foods for you, and they had a shelf of cheaper day-old items. Overall very impressed and will be taking others back. Uses red path sugar, which is not refined with animal bone char!

The Famous Cosmo Restaurant is a local institution for hefty eats, like their famous 6-egg omelet. The service is great, the prices are cheap, and the space is small but perfect for chatting with friends.
Went there this morning on a whim, but truthfully I've been going to Cosmo's for years. 15 years ago, after exams at school nearby this was a spot where I would go for some comfort food. The food today is as great as ever! The classic dishes are the Creation and the Mish Mash (pic related) and those are what I would recommend for first-timers. The place has also undergone a bit of an overhaul. They now accept card, not just cash, and are available on Uber Eats. They also have merch for sale in-store! The vibe is always on point. Everyone there is very friendly and that naturally generates conversation. Overall if you make the pilgrimage to this NDG institution, you'll never be disappointed.

Thanks to travel vlogs on YouTube we found this place. Went a year ago when visiting and it was the best breakfast we had that trip and the second visit a year later did not disappoint. Had to wait about 10 - 15 minutes for a seat at the small counter, but once seated the food came quickly. Well prepared and old school cool.

The “creation sandwich” was delicious, and the potatoes were equally tasty. The staff was very kind, and I spent about two hours there. It felt very homey. I would definitely go back for the food! It’s a small venue, so you need to order inside. There’s no table service. In a sense, it felt very Japanese because there were very limited seating options. Outdoor seating was right beside trash, which wasn’t very pleasant.

A small hole in the wall place. It was much smaller inside than I thought. The staff working greeted us as soon as we walked in the door. They were attentive and friendly. The food was good. Loved the mashed potatoes. Food came out quickly. Besides the place being old and needing some reno, it was pleasant experience. We walked out stuffed!

This is a little hole on the wall greasy spoon when you need to recover from a hangover or just need that comfort breakfast. The creation sandwich is a must, the mishmash plate is exactly what it sounds like and is awesome! There is new ownership but this place hasn’t changed at all, this is an NDG secret, you gotta try it.

You can't get more classic than this. I've had breakfast there and more recently a burger. Both were comforting and generous.

Ordered their bagel and egg. Asked for over hard and specifically wrote "Egg very well done". It seems they don't know how to cook eggs as my egg is not cooked and is runny and has made the bagel soggy and gross. Waste of my money and its going in the garbage. I also asked for potatoes to be well done and some of them are raw and uncooked. Terrible experience. I won't be ordering again. Yuck.

One of my favourite restaurants. Very nicely decorated, the food is exceptional, and the servers are great. The entire menu is filled with 5 star dishes - no matter what you order you will not be disappointed. Parking in the area is very limited and they are very popular so this is something to take into consideration. We had to park ~20 minutes walk away. The servers and bartenders are lovely and welcoming however the hosts have been a bit cold when we’ve gone in. I can understand this due to the volume of people they are trying to get situated however it is something to be aware of. If you haven’t been to Shay, you are missing out. Please do yourself a favour and go - you won’t regret it.

Atmosphere was lovely. Music was way too loud. Seating is very comfortable and the place is very clean. Service is nice and Rachelle the manager is one of the best restaurant managers I have had the pleasure to experience. She is exceptionally professional and superbly customer centric. Food. The appetizers were excellent from the awesome olives to the hot pita wedges. The French fries are said to be home made. I do not believe this to be true as they did not have the texture or finish of a freshly crust home fried potato. They were dry and tasteless. I had to send back. At $11 way over priced. The hounds lamb was not worth the price nor tasty. The humous was good, but the lamb had lots of fat, very greasy, chewy like bubble gum, and overall we left most of it over as it was not pleasant to eat. The chicken kebab was dry and over cooked and lacked seasoning. The roasted patsies were excellent. The sauce was great but surprised it was made of mayonnaise. Not a place I would return to. Much better elsewhere.

I had to get on here and give a review because this restaurant did not disappoint in any criteria!! I came here for brunch with my dad and ordered the Shakshuka (delicious and portion size is amazing) the Salmon dish was so fresh, and the Figs were juicy and sweet. Everything was spot on. Ambiance? 10/10, music choice? 10/10 (Frank Ocean, Sade, it doesn't get better) and the SERVICE is what makes this place memorable. Sean gave us shots on the house, Anthony made us laugh and Sabrina gave us the Dubai Chocolate French toasts on the house 🥹 She's a sweetheart btw, def ask for her when you're here! They're all so sweet and they made my father's trip to Montreal so much more special by treating him with so much warmth and love ✨ Customer service makes all the big difference when it comes to a restaurant experience so I highly recommend this place to everyone 💕 Will def come back and bring my mom next time. Thank you guys!!

My friends and I were visiting the area for a birthday brunch and this place did not disappoint. The ambiance is so aesthetically pleasing and beautiful. The staff were pleasant, attentive and funny. The music was one of the best parts, great playlist. I got the breakfast sandwich and my friends got the hachis makanek and the omelette soujouk. Everything tasted so fresh and flavorful. The potatoes were crisp, the halloumi was so tasty, and the chai lattes were great (tasted more like espresso than chai to me, however, I did not mind it). I will definitely plan to visit when I am in the area again.

Upscale mediteranian food is always tricky for me because its always pretty good but so is the cheper steat Mediteranian as well. We endded up getting the roasted eggplant which had homemade chips on top, and a creamy white sauce. It was nicely cooked to the point where you could cleanly cut through the eggplant skin with just your fork and the mix of sauce and chips added a nice flavor and texture. It was on the pricy side but if that is what you are going for, it is a good option. The staff is friendly and were quick with waters. In general it seems like a good spot for a nice date.

Went to Shay for the first time to share with some friends, and Maxime truly maximized our experience! From his outstanding service to his nice smile, he made sure we had the best time. He was funny, kind, and patient — the perfect mix to make the evening feel effortless. His care added so much to an already amazing culinary experience. And the food? Absolutely delicious! Thanks to Maxime, we got the maximum out of our night at Shay. Definitely coming back and bringing family and friends to enjoy it too!

Overpriced and little portions, we were at a social event so I didn't pick the restaurant. Mediterranean menu with no special theme. I've have taste same type of dishes at a restaurant on Jean talon and way more affordable and more generous portions. We were a table of six and the bill was 100$/ person even when splitting the order. Also their interact machine was not compatible with my card or bank. I had terrible time trying to pay, it took forever I had to try several times with my credit card and the waiter insist I should pay with debit which was rude since the problem was their machine. Service was decent, staff was currently filling water, removing plates and delivering the food. The atmosphere was casual. However, I Don't Recommend it and I Won't be Going Back.

We went for a birthday party with a large group for brunch to this restaurant. I have to say it was wonderful! The quality is exceptional and the servings were more than generous. I was pleasantly surprised because although it was middle eastern dishes that I am used to having at home, all the dishes were refined and perfectly made and presented with the utmost care. They used fresh produce and it showed in the taste, the way it looked. It was a touch of Lebanese, Syrian, armenian and North American. I would recommend this place 100% ! And the service…. Just perfect !

Juliette & Chocolat is a popular chain of chocolate-themed cafes in Montreal, with ten branches across the city. The owner, Juliette, turned her childhood love for chocolate into a successful career by opening the first branch. In addition to the cafes, there's also Juliette and Chocolate Boutique dedicated to selling various forms of chocolates and Point G Boutique known for Montreal's best macaroons.
I recently stopped by Juliette and Chocolat in Little Italy for a coffee with a brownie and cookie. Both treats were delicious—crunchy, fresh, and perfectly paired with the coffee. The service was professional and friendly, making for an all-around great experience. Highly recommend for a sweet treat in the area!

Ordered with the 2 for 1 sale on uber eats. At $14.99 for both its about the right price. And the ice cream is good. It's pretty much mostly good vanilla ice cream with some caramel on top. But at $14.99 for only 1, I don't think so.

Their brownies (Rocher or Caramel) are absolute bliss. Easily in my list of best desserts ever, and I have tried many in my life. Perfectly tasty, generous portion, and most importantly, insanely good. So good that before heading back to Toronto, I bought another one because there was no way I was leaving without it. Only small downside, they seemed short-staffed, and the experience could be even better with one or two more people on the floor. If you are in the Montreal area, this is a must.

Nice little cafe (not wide) located next to Jean-talon market. They tons of vegetarian options from milk shakes to desserts and limited vegan options which I got. I had the vegan brownie and the vegan hot chocolate. The brownie was good but just heads up its slightly dry on the outside but soft on the inside. The hot chocolate is actually prepared without milk and which sounds odd; it comes mixed with water but has a thick consistency and taste is good. However there is an aftertaste that I can't explain (it's likely a sweetener). Overall great experience

Did not look fresh. Did not feel fresh either. Usually when I see rice like this, I don’t even try but when you pay 50$ for two rolls and a few gyoza you ought to give it a try. Well don’t.

I wasn't able to get a table for dine-in at Sushi Momo (they were fully booked!), but luckily they have a takeout counter next door called Komomo. I'd definitely rate it 5 stars. Everything was so artfully presented (even from a takeout box lol) and luscious. Prices are reasonable. If you get a combo (appetizers + sushi + dessert), it comes to 25-30$ per person. Brownie points because all their containers are recyclable and compostable - woohoo! Here's a detailed description of everything I enjoyed for dinner. APPETIZERS Edamame (with fleur de sel and Japanese spices) Fried gyozas (veggie and tofu filling, with a sake and ginger sauce) Soba ramen salad with green papaya (matcha soba noodles, peanuts, green papaya, sesame, kale, fried onions, red bell peppers, mango, daikon, peanut & tamarind dressing) SUSHI Nopalito (roll of the month) Cancun Geisha (another monthly special) 3 champignons (enokis, oyster and portobello mushrooms, avocado, shiba zuka, bubu arare, truffle emulsion) Mumbai (tempura mock shrimp, scallions, avocado, sweet potato, Japanese curry sauce) Popeye (oyster mushrooms, spinach, garlic, kampyo, oshinko, cucumber, avocado, chili ito togarashi, yuzu-truffle sauce)

Worst sushi I've had in a really long time! Paid 85$+ worth of sushi from Ski and it tastes horrible! It was clear from the first sushi bite that it's NOT fresh, you're essentially paying to eat just sweet rice. Extremely thin layer of fish with 2 tiny cucumbers and THICK layer of rice! The very thin layer of fish was very salty and the fried dumplings were very tasteless. We had to throw it all in the garbage. Complete waste of money! I'll not be a returning customer.

I was dubious about vegan sushi, but I was very pleasantly surprised. It was my favorite kind of vegan food - they celebrate the pleasure of plant-based food rather than trying to replace animal products with a substitute. There are clearly labelled gluten free options, and an option to tell them we need to be gluten free. They were careful about cross contamination when we told them this. I really liked the sweet potato and the potato-jalapeno rolls. They have a few tables outside - we ate there.

If you're on the hunt for a delightful breakfast or brunch experience in Montreal, look no further than Allô mon Coco Vieux Montréal. This family-friendly eatery offers an extensive menu filled with generous portions of classic dishes like omelets and crepes, all served in a lively atmosphere that sets the tone for a fun meal. The moment you step inside, you'll be greeted by vibrant decor and an egg-themed ambiance that adds a playful twist to your dining experience.
We were a group of 5 going for breakfast. The atmosphere is super chilled and the restaurant is very clean. The menu has so many options that we did not know what to order and we were already planning what to eat the next day. Staff super friendly. Will go back next time we will visit Montreal.

We loved our visit to this cozy breakfast spot! The crepes and eggs were outstanding—fresh, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. The menu had just the right mix of sweet and savory options, and every plate looked amazing. While the service could have been a little quicker and more attentive, the quality of the food more than made up for it. Overall, a fantastic place for breakfast that we’d definitely recommend and return to. The whisks and menu looked amazing, loved the diversity on the Menu along the with the good pictures!

This is the best breakfast spot downtown for a quick refill! Love the New lunch menu. If you haven’t yet, you guys need to try the Deluxe Burger! Taste is on point! Servers are really polite and you can see that it’s a big family and it’s an open kitchen so you can see that they’re not wasting anytime for the plates to go out but when it’s busy (weekends) you need to keep in mind that you might wait a little more than on week days. Thanks to the amazing staff!

Arrived for brunch around 10:30am no wait. Acknowledged but not “greeted” by hostesses and sat right next to the door though there were plenty of open tables throughout. It’s a casual breakfast/brunch spot with a nice sized menu; very child friendly dishes here. We ordered pancakes with side of bacon and a fun drink for my son; everything was yummy but the drink had boba balls and no boba straw so near impossible to drink without making a mess. The waitstaff were very friendly and helpful with ordering! Made some recommendations to ensure we got what we were looking for; we ended up ordering the Rueben on egg bread and side potatoes which were crispy and delicious (both held up well for leftovers); mil ordered signature brunch and Hunny had crab Benedict. Both were just ok in my opinion but I loved the strawberry cream cheese pancake and homestyle potato. Would return for a satisfying meal, good selection of food and drinks and good service.

Good breakfast place. Its often crowded so prepare for waiting a bit. The atmosphere is a bit « colder » than most breakfast places. Very bright and high, white ceiling. Not a warm vibe like a lot of cute breakfast places around town but the food is great (especially their smashed potatoes) and it gets the job done! Prices are normal-high for these kind of places.
Magali R — Google review
Their pancakes taste like reconstituted variety, and they serve them with “maple-flavored’ syrup - unfortunately, not the authentic Canadian maple syrup fans might hope for. That alone could be seen as a culinary crime! They do offer some nice, fresh fruits with some dishes and that’s a plus. However, they don’t offer any substitutions, even for dietary restrictions, which feels surprisingly outdated in today’s customer-focused dining scene. Despite these drawbacks, the restaurant opens early and boasts a pleasant atmosphere, though be warned - fans run hard, so you might find yourself chilly in your seat. If you have other options nearby, I’d recommend exploring those first. But if you’re caught with nothing else open, well...

Came in for breakfast one morning on a recent trip. The hostess was honestly awful, did not acknowledge us and rolled her eyes when I tried to communicate in English (my french isn't at the fluent level just yet). I told her I can leave if she would prefer but then she grabbed menus and sat us down. She was the only bad experience at this location and Quebec in general. It is free to be kind so I'm not sure what her issue is. The waitor was really kind and was taking care of a lot of tables. My partner and I ordered 2 different plates. The potatoes and crepe were delicious. Portions were huge and the price was not bad. Would go here again if that hostess was not present lol

I’ve always been a fan of the Allo mon coco franchise. Recently I came to this specific one and made the difference. Since the warm welcoming from the staff and the amazing interior design and detail the restaurant has. It’s has a great quality ambiance and the egg themed atmosphere is hilarious. The service is fast and waiters are always for you with a smile from ear to ear. And please don’t let me start w the food!!! Amazing. I took the Mexican casserole and it was amazing. My family took as well different plates and the taste and the presentation was incredible. It’s hard to find a restaurant that can count with this amazing qualities so I strongly recommend people to go over there. Thanks allo mon coco for that amazing experience!!

Café Dei Campi is a vegetarian and vegan café that has been making waves since its opening in 2016. Founded by barista Nicola Vardaro and pastry chef Isabelle Duchamps, this cozy spot in Rosemont offers a delightful twist on Italian cuisine with its entirely plant-based menu. The café has gained popularity for its delectable vegan baked goods, including savory pizzas and pastries, as well as its exceptional coffee program.
Great coffee and their pastries are so delicious, fresh ingredients. Staff is so friendly. It’s a little bit small maybe not suited for long work/study sessions but nice for a good talk, good coffee ☕️ and nice vibes. It’s a nice touch to be family friendly but if you are not into crying babies 👶 maybe could be challenging.

So far the best bakery in Montreal. I love how everything is 100% vegan! The chocolate croissant was perfectly flaky with high quality chocolate inside, mini pizzas were delicious and my favorite was the chocolate ravioli cookies. This place is busy, popular, and cozy. We were able to get a seat by the window but there isn’t much seating. I can’t wait to go again the next time I’m in Montreal.

I must have briefly died and brought to this heavenly place. I have never walked into a cafe/bakery where I wanted to try every single option. And when I did try three, each one was exceptional. The focaccia topped with squash blossoms with a hint of lemon, the olive and tomato topped pizza, the strawberry filled donut… I have never had anything like it. I am glad this bakery is so far away from my home… otherwise I would have spent every single penny I have here. 100000% coming back.

Shoutout to the server with the bleached eyebrows for the masterclass in getting everything wrong. We travelled all the way here, carefully chose our order… only to unwrap something entirely different. A bold move - surprise dining! And what she packed? Truly underwhelming. But hey, at least it was confidently incorrect. Thanks for the adventure we didn’t ask for.

This is one of my favorite places in Montreal, and such a hidden gem! I've been taking here and recommending this place to everyone I know, and in turn anyone who tries it becomes obsessed with it. For some time, I would come here every weekend and walk about 35 minutes each way just to eat here. Food: absolutely delicious. I'm from Italy and their food just brings back all the best memories I have from my home. The pizzas are my obsession and every week they change their main dessert, always hitting that sweet spot in my heart. Ah, did I mention that all this is 100% vegan?? 😍 Drinks: if you want to try an authentic italian coffee, come here. Staff: Nico the owner is always super kind, smiling and I always enjoy to chat with him in Italian. The rest of the staff is also very kind, despite the busyness of the place. Tip: avoid coming between 11am and 1pm as it's usually the busiest time, unless you do takeout. Unfortunately they don't have many seats, but then again, if you are not rushing, you are able to get one eventually.

Hello 123 is a vegan restaurant with two locations south of Downtown Montreal, and it's the sister restaurant to Kupfert & Kim. The restaurant offers comforting meals that are as visually appealing as they are satisfying. Whether you're in the mood for a protein-packed burrito bowl or an oat-based smoothie, Hello123 has got you covered.
I have been going to Hello 123 Monkland for many years now. Their food is always so tasty, large portions and a variety of choices on the menu, including a delicious brunch. Some of my favourite dishes are the breakfast sandwich, the “pulled pork” sandwich and the lasagna. I love this place because not only is their food outstanding, but the staff are always super friendly and they go out of their way to always make it a wonderful experience. I recently hosted a surprise party for my partner’s birthday at the restaurant and the staff members were all so helpful and accommodating and really did their best to make everything perfect for us. I am forever grateful for this restaurant and highly recommend it to others.

I was searching for gluten free restaurants near by and I came across this restaurant. I tried it three times. The first time was for brunch. I was craving everything as the menu is rich and full of satisfied and healthy options. I chose the gluten free waffles topped with bananas, strawberries, walnuts, and an excellent maple syrup (I came back for it again). I enjoyed every single bite. I ordered an energy smoothie with it but I can’t recall its name. It was good. My friend ordered a salad and then an omelette that is made of chickpeas. All in all were good and tasty options. The second time was for dinner. I ordered a gluten free burger. It was less than my expectations as the first time. The cold press juice was good. The sweet potatoes were good but not crunchy. The staff were welcoming and attentive. The washrooms are clean. I really love this place and it is worthy to give it a chance and try it especially for brunch and if you are on a gluten free diet or you have certain food restrictions (keto, vegetarian, etc)🥰 I also heard that they have really good sweets and they have a bar. I would definitely go there again to try their sweets:)

Very beautiful restaurant with a nice a atmosphere and very nice staff. Absolutely loved the appetizers we chose: the messy wedges were great but the Brussel sprouts were to die for and are absolutely a reason to go back here or try them out for the first time. That being said, I wasn’t amazed by the mains. If I were to return I’d prefer to just get 2-3 appetizers and skip the mains all together and I’d leave full and happy. Definitely a good option for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians.

Came here for a vegan brunch to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. The restaurant is very casual and not large by any mean, however it seemed popular as all seats were occupied. Only 2 of our group of 11 are vegan and everyone found the food to be excellent (even the skeptics 😂). The portions are very large for the most part (and yes, you can take home the leftovers). The food was scrumptious with no weird aftertastes (which we sometimes get with grocery store bought ‘meats, eggs’ etc). The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The service was good. Management was very flexible in that they allowed us to bring our own cake (vegan of course) which made everyone happy. Thank you Alessandra and Hello 123! We will be back!

Hello 123 has a great menu whether you're going there for brunch or dinner, but my favourite dish is Irene's Massive Breakfast on their brunch menu. You get a taste of everything! (chickpea omelette, sourdough toast, pancakes, potatoes, salad, and the best spiced tempeh I've ever tasted). The servers are great, and I love the decor. Not sure how frequent there's live music, but there was a bass player this past Friday night who helped create a nice calm ambiance without it being too loud to hear conversation. 👌🏼 I'd recommend anything with their tempeh, chickpea omelette, "pulled pork" burger, crispy chicken burger, butter chicken, shiitake shawarma wrap, cauli Mac & cheeze. Their fries and gravy, Chai latte + cocktails are delicious too! Give them a try 😊

A lovely restaurant. Delicious!!!! Portions are quite big, which is great. Btw this was the best “cheese” cake I’ve ever eaten in my life 😍 Only note: the lasagna was too spicy for me, so I couldn’t finish it😃 and mugs they are using for tea are very old fashioned in my opinion and aren’t very comfortable, would be great to see something more handy 🥰
Joe D — Google review
I have to admit that this is now one of my favourite vegan restaurants in Montreal. The food was incredible and served in generous portions. Even the appetizer was generous. We ordered the Brussel sprouts thinking it might be just simple on plain plate instead it was on a bed of mixed greens in a delicious balsamic vinaigrette. Their lasagna is BOMB 💣! Their desserts are amazing. Their chocolate mousse is made of avocado. 😋 No guilt eating that dessert that’s for sure. 😉 Their brownie however was my favourite. The service was great, so was the atmosphere. Definitely a good place for a dinner date. Their patio is also quite inviting. They have heaters out so even on a chilly evening, it would be enjoyable sitting on the patio. Absolutely loved the wall and lighting setup with moss. Price is so reasonable for what you get. Vegan or not, anyone would appreciate the food. It’s so flavourful and healthy and quite filling without leaving you feeling heavy after your meal. I will be back and bring my friends who don’t already know about this place. 😊

The pizza is so damn good! I can't get over the crust. Don't expect much for the atmosphere, but where it's located is super cute, and overall the vibe is quaint. There are two long bench style tables, so if it's busy, good luck getting a spot haha. But you're there for the pizza, and it's worth it. I got a small, but I easily could have eaten a large.

Been wanting to try Chez Zac Pizzeria for over a year and glad I finally did. It’s hands down one of the best pizza spots in Montreal! The crust was thin and crispy, just the way I like it, and every bite had that perfect crunch. The toppings were incredibly fresh and full of flavor, making each bite absolutely delicious. It’s rare to find any pizza done this well. Can’t wait to go back!

The best vegan pizza in Montreal! Stopped in after a long walk and the lunch rush, it was the perfect cozy place. Ate a slice of the pepperoni pizza while waiting for my order and it was divine. The slice was large, the crust thing and amount of melted cheese was perfect. Then my order arrived a few minutes later and the smell was enough to take me back to an Italian villa. Le Mile End is the perfect balance of red sauce, pesto, cheese, rosted garlic and pine nuts lightly covered with spinach. For fun I added mushrooms and my brain felt like it was exploding with all the rich flavors. My husband had an Old School Calzone and said he would have another if there was space in the tummy left. We loved it and will return!

The place has a nice bohemian-friendly feel to it, making it perfect for spending hours tucked into its nooks. It's known for its homey and delicious food, including breakfast poutine, burritos, burgers, omelettes, and more.
We were sad when Café Joe had to close, and were delighted when they reopened. The food is homey and delicious. The crust on their potatoes is just right. We've tried a variety of their offerings (burgers, omelettes, breakfast burrito), and this time we went with a Le Voisin (grilled cheese + eggs) with a side of sausage, and the sausage Breakfast Bowl. Both were delightful and so satisfying. The service was very kind and attentive. (I never got a chance to see the bottom of my coffee mug!) The ambiance is fun and cozy: late 90s/early 2000s bangers on the speakers, at a volume that still allows easy conversation. And the decor made me chuckle with the variety of movie posters in shadow boxes. Next time I'll dabble with the retro video game setup in the corner. Looking forward or our next visit!

Great little place popular with the locals. Think Cheers...but for brunch...where everyone knows your name. Sunday Brunch is a little of a time commitment. Between the wait for a table (30 min) and wait for the food (about an hour)...it allows you to develop conversations over refills of coffee. Generous portions. I had the breakfast Poutine. Not the best I’ve had but very good. The other selections from our table looked amazing. Loved the live music as we waited and big bonus for giving us coffee while we waited for our table. We of course came at the height of rush hour, so that’s on us. Now...belly full of comfort food...I leave happy...and full of caffeine.

Prices were fair. The restaurant was busy but service was fast and friendly. Coffee was REALLY good. Has a very natural and welcoming vibe. Great place to bring kids. They even have a kids area. All 4 of us enjoyed our meals. 2 covered picnic tables outside are perfect for sunny or rainy days. They had a live band when we were there. Larger inside than you'd expect from the front. All 4 of us enjoyed our meals.

Well rounded Cafe that serves exceptional food and coffee, friendly service, with just enough room to feel comfy inside. One of the features that stands out and compliments their menu is inclusion of fruits on the side of every dish. This breakfast is then also reinforced with good coffee and atmosphere. In addition the Cafe serves delicous French toast serves with signature Canadian syrup! Pricing is with in the bounderies of reason, is a good introduction to Montreals large variety of foods, and a great way to start your morning.

It was SOOOOOOO good. The staff was so amazingly friendly and answered all of our questions since we were a group of 9 ppl they accommodated us so well. The food didn’t even take that long and was worth the wait it was delicious and the portion size was just perfect and not huge unlike some other breakfast places. Definitely go here for some great breakfast. I got the veggie omelette with cheese

Was invited for a brunch at this place by a friend who highly recommended it. Reading the reviews, it's also apparently amazing. Unfortunately for me, it was nothing but a disappointment. Waited forever to get a table and get our food. Then I get a plate with more burnt pieces than potatoes that tasted like soap. Definitely not recommended.

Cheap. Delicious. Iconic. Café Joe has vegan options (tofu scramble, vegan version of their burrito and veggie pate sandwich) and make an effort to make sure they can adapt their food to you. The ingredients are always fresh and delicious! The coffee is abundant and hot! The service is extremely friendly and you get a lot of food at a very affordable price. Smoothies are also delicious. I highly recommend coming here! It’s such a wonderful and welcoming place.

Pâtisserie Petit Lapin is a charming bakery located in Westmount that specializes in creating delectable treats free from the top allergens. Founded by owner Viviane Nguyen, who was inspired by her own son's allergies, the bakery offers a wide range of allergy-friendly cakes and sweets suitable for everyone.
Super cute and pastel aesthetic! Very instagramable. Everything is vegan, and they have glutten free options. More bakery than cafe. Treats are very sweet, so getting too many things at once will make your teeth ache. Icing was yummy though, and you'll burp the taste of unicorns later!

Ordered a selection of cupcakes for my wedding guests with allergies and they were so accommodating and helped so much with the selection! The cupcakes were delicious (as I enjoyed a couple myself) and my guests felt extra special that they could have enjoyed some dessert! Would love to see future dessert offerings using unrefined sugar, maybe one day :)

The last place I visited before quarantine happened. I think it's a super cute cafe and everything my friends and I got was delicious. It's a great place to have a chat and drink some tea and have a cupcake. I ordered the mango and strawberry juice and it was ok. I'd like to try the unicorn latte once it opens back up. The unicorn cupcake was good but I'm not a huge fan of vanilla so I ordered it mainly for the look.

Petit Lapin was the perfect place to throw my daughter’s first birthday. It was perfect for adults and kids!! Viviane and her staff did an excellent job and made sure everything went through super smoothly. I didn’t have to worry about anything. Needless to say that the place itself is just too beautiful for words and hardly needed any extra decorations; I just love how it’s beauty was captured in all the pictures!!

The cake was delicious and the design was exactly what I was expecting. I will definitely be ordering again. My daughter with lots of allergies was able to enjoy cake for the first time. I love this bakery.

My go-to for desserts when I need to order something for events at my kids' daycare. The "Frozen" inspired cupcakes were a hit with my daughter and her classmates. Highly recommend Petit Lapin!
