Regine Cafe is a brunch restaurant that is open from 9am to 3pm daily. This is a very popular place with long queues to be seated. We recently showed up around 9.15 and were able to be seated for a table for two. However, the place filled up quickly and a queue began to form no more than 10 minutes later. Interior is a sort of eclectic themed decor. Menu is a fairly traditional western brunch and dessert assortment. On the day, we tried the Sucre Sale and Dore Banana french toast orders. These were both beautiful dishes, generous portion sized and tasted really good. Service was friendly and prices reasonable for the experience. Would be happy to do Regine again for bunch trying other items on their menu.

Our meal started with a complimentary glass of juice, a refreshing gesture that immediately set a cheerful tone. The Scotch egg stood out with its rich and distinctive flavor — something I don’t often come across a lot on brunch menus. Each of the three dishes we ordered was flavorful and satisfying, though they leaned salty. Next time, I would definitely balance it out by adding a sweet option, which I imagine would make the overall experience even more enjoyable. Overall, recommend!

While visiting Montreal, I wanted to find a spot for breakfast/brunch that emphasizes quality of product and service. After a quick Google search of places within the vicinity of downtown, I was confident this was going to be my best bet. Upon my arrival, I knew I made the right decision as there was a line of 25-30 people out the door. Fortunately I did not have to wait long as I only needed a table for 1. I was promptly greeted by my waitress, Mathilde. She was so pleasant. They provide a complimentary shot of fresh pressed juice to start your experience. This place is charming. The food is phenomenal. The staff were all friendly. Looking back, one of the details I appreciate most about this experience was that nothing felt rushed. Everyone was calm. The only con to my experience was that I overindulged. Do yourself a favor and go here, wait in the line if you have to, it’s worth it. I will definitely be coming back.

Loved this place. Great cozy vibes. Well decorated and not cheap. Food was delicious. Very accommodating for our one year old, loved the kids option and kids place settings. Really beautiful as well with all the decor, flowers and displays of pastries etc. Didn’t have to wait long but it is popular and there was a line behind us.

Delicious brunch! Creative and tasty brunch ideas. Service was great, the Waitress starts you off with a shot of the houses freshly squeezed concoction. Coffees are on point with huge bowl style options. I look forward to trying other options on the menu.

What a wonderful experience! We didn't have reservations and it was a Monday at noon, and waited maybe 15 minutes for 2 seater. Cozy and stylish dark interior, attentive and caring service (huge thank you to Agata for everything), and delicious and hefty portions! Add a scotch egg to your order regardless if you think you have space, it's delicious. Thoroughly enjoyed our time here and the much needed caloric intake after braving Ile Soniq the previous day in the scorching August heat.

It’s such a cute little spot. The vibe is cozy and welcoming, and the staff was super nice and attentive throughout our meal. We started with the fried chicken appetizer and the foie gras, both were great, but the foie gras really stood out, one of the best I’ve had. The fried chicken was tasty too, though the portion could’ve been a bit bigger. The asparagus was a bit of a letdown, not quite what we were hoping for. For mains, I had the truffle tartare, which was absolutely delicious. My husband had the beef bavette, cooked and seasoned perfectly. Overall, the food was great and the prices are really reasonable for the quality. Would definitely come back to try more!

After a couple of drinks at their speakeasy next door, we came here for the dinner service. The food could be better. Maybe I had a high expectation as the cocktails were done so well. Nothing stood out. They were nice enough to let us in earlier even though the reservation was for 30 mins later. Washroom was interesting, the tinted window inside faces a major street. I might not come back for this one but I would still try the other restaurants under the same owner.

Amazing vibe, aesthetic is really nice! Food was underwhelming though. The chicken and waffle and salmon Benedict was bland. Thank God for hot sauce. On top of that, i noticed a tiny hair on my pancake and told the server. He came back a few minutes later with the exact same plate. Choose the sweet over savory option. The pancake was SO good. Really made up for the whole meal. Matcha latte was nice as well. Overall experience 3/5

Incredible gem of a place!! Foie gras with anything? Yessir!! We had oysters - which were perfectly east coast fresh. The smash burger with foie gras is as good as it sounds. The service was super friendly, we even chatted up the table next to us. It happened to be her birthday, the staff heard that and brought us (all four) a shot to celebrate! Super sweet and attentive. The show stopper: spaghetti with Parmesan, truffle and foie gras. It’s absolutely an amazing combination of food and love!! Highly recommend this place, don’t miss it!!

Foiegwa is such a hidden gem. It’s small, but that’s exactly what makes it cozy (corner table gang 🙋🏻‍♀️). The lighting and vibe make you feel right at home. We went for Montréal à table, and the service was great from the start — friendly, clear, and attentive. I had the shrimp cocktail, spaghetti, and tartine. The shrimp cocktail was generous and flavorful, and the spaghetti… honestly, a party in my tummy. Perfectly cooked and so comforting. What stood out most were the little details — the person who brought our food wasn’t the same one who took the order, but he knew exactly who each dish was for (no awkward “who had the spaghetti?” moment 👏). Plates were cleared at the right time, never rushed. The food felt homemade, full of care — the kind that brings back memories. My date loved the dessert too. If you’re looking for a cozy spot with great service and heartwarming food, Foiegwa is it.

Fun place for brunch! The place is surprisingly small, but was curious to try after always see line-up for brunch on weekends. Wait can be long if the group is more than 2, and for brunch, it’s first come first serve, no reservation. Seating inside is cozy and can be noisy. Once seated, service was great and food came out very fast. I tried their Foiegwa Slam and it was delish, but wish it included coffee. 😁 Overall, great experience, would go back and now curious to try their dinner menu. It’s right across from Marché Atwater so good for a nice walk there after a good brunch!

Came here for dinner based on recommendations from friends. Service was quick and friendly enough, but the food was underwhelming. Enjoyed the Caesar salad and their fries were amazing, but the smash burger was lacking flavour, all bread and minimal meat. The mussels were good but definitely more than a few were a questionable texture… overall not upset we tried it but wouldn’t recommend it.

Met up with a friend to have breakfast here on my second day visiting Montreal. Sunday morning was packed with a line up out the door. Luckily the 2 of us sat at the bar as we were instantly ushered inside. Service was friendly and efficient. The vibe though! Such a lively atmosphere with a nice view of the open kitchen area. Food was super tasty and the coffee was gourmet. The price was on the higher end but it was smack in the middle of downtown so I get it. Highly recommended!

This spot came highly recommended by several people, so it was at the top of my must-visit list in Montreal. I’m so glad I went because Olive et Gourmando ended up being the best place I ate during my trip. The atmosphere is warm and lively, the staff are friendly and attentive, and the food was absolutely delicious. I had the Tex-Mex (or maybe Mexican) breakfast option, and it was honestly the best breakfast I’ve had in years. I also ordered the fresh orange juice, and it was so, so, so good. I’m still thinking about it. I arrived around 11 AM on a Friday in July and had to wait about 30 minutes, but it wasn’t a big deal. There’s a really cool tattoo and jewellery shop right across the street that made the wait fly by. If I ever return to Montreal, I’ll definitely be coming back here. Highly recommend!

It really was worth the 30 minute wait. Everything was great. The baked eggs were very flavorful, my friend loved the peach french toast (a weekend special), the sconewich was so good I ended up coming here the next day to grab 2 to go. The blueberry muffin was fluffy, moist, and not too sweet. They nailed the flavors and everything was cooked to perfection, it’s no wonder it’s one of the top breakfast/brunch spots in Montreal.

Excellent place for breakfast. It is a bit of a hole in the wall as there are no other restaurants nearby. The atmosphere is very authentic with cute decor throughout. We had the egg and salami burger, which is pretty good, and the kids grilled cheese sandwich, along with a croissant. The fresh baked pastries are very tasty. Note that these don't come with sides so you might need to order a bit more. Make sure to go early as it gets later in the morning and you'll have to wait.

Despite the waiting time, I loved their coffee and sandwich. The almond croissant was delicious too, has got the right amount of sweetness. To avoid the rush hour, it is good to get there around 9.30AM. Ambience is a little noisy but can be ignored for the food they serve. Got a spicy poached egg panini without meat (modified). It was simply perfect.

Olive et Gourmando is a charming and very popular spot in Old Montreal — and for good reason! The coffee is strong and bold, perfect for serious coffee lovers. While it’s definitely on the pricier side, everything we tried was worth it. We had the yogurt and chia bowls, which were absolutely divine — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully balanced. Their house-made granola was so delicious that we ended up buying a bag to take home! The café itself is quaint and full of character. It gets extremely busy, but surprisingly, the wait time wasn’t long despite the no-reservations policy. The staff were friendly and attentive, making the experience even better. If you’re visiting Montreal, I’d highly recommend stopping by at least once. Whether for a quick coffee or a light, nourishing meal, this place is a gem.

They have outdoor seating, and I was able to bring my puppy with me, which was great. The staff even brought out a big bottle of water for him, which I really appreciated. I highly recommend trying their signature maple latte—it’s absolutely delicious—and the maple pulled pork sandwich, which was amazing. The atmosphere is beautiful, the people are very kind, and you even get unlimited coffee refills.

Stopped in for late brunch around 2:00 pm and the restaurant was calmer with not many people seated. I tried the "Toscan" with an iced latte, and the meal was delicious. I'm looking at photos of it right now and looking forward to the next time. Service, decor and ambiance is very laid back and homey to me. Will definitely be back.

While the food here is decent, the bustling tourist district comes at a premium, reflected not just in the prices but in the experience. The toast served with Canton was not warm and soft, and the avocado on toast, pre-packaged rather than freshly mashed, fell short of expectations. Despite these, the charming ambiance of the place still manages to make the visit worthwhile.

I recently visited Cartet and was pleasantly surprised — it’s definitely worth a try! This cozy spot has a small store inside where you can browse and pick up some great finds while you wait. The drinks were a highlight for me — both the latte and matcha were absolutely delicious and perfectly made. I also had the avocado toast with poached eggs for added protein, and it was to die for — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The service was warm and attentive, and the prices were average for this kind of quality experience. I highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a casual yet elevated café experience. Whether you’re just grabbing a drink or sitting down for a full meal, Cartet is well worth the visit!

Fantastic breakfast. Definitely try the maple latte, very delicious. Insanely busy on Sat/Sun, but stopped here on a Tuesday morning and it was so quiet.

Nice breakfast/brunch spot with a limited menu. The food was just ok and overpriced. For example, the pancakes seemed a bit raw. I will say the regular coffee was delicious. They must buy some quality beans and freshly grind, so that is pretty nice.

It's been a while since I've been truly surprised by exceptional food. I can't adequately describe how delicious and flavorful the Eggs Benedict were, every bite was perfectly executed. The hot sauce deserves special mention it strikes an incredible balance between sweet and spicy that's absolutely on point.

I had the salmon Benedict (Atlantic Benedict). It was good, tasted like it had cheese or some cream in it. The potatoes were a bit too chunky and not crunchy enough for me though. And the muffin that the Benedict came on was a bit hard and tough to cut through. Also the salad mix that came with smelled like it was picked straight from the ground and served up. I liked that i could sense it was natural but also it stank lol. Service was excellent and the restaurant itself was nice.

Le Vieux Velo is a very humble and charming cafe. The servers are gentle & accommodating. It is very bright inside. I can't recall hearing any music being played. Original artwork adorns the walls. We were seated immediately. The menu is very concise. I believe they only do breakfast. We ordered the granola with fruit and yogurt along with the florentine eggs benedict. The food was very well prepared. The potatoes were very delicious. The small salad was dressed lightly. The hollandaise sauce was on point. Our taste buds did not really warm up to the coffee. It was a bit weak & lacking in a robust flavour for our taste buds. We are told however that it is very popular with many customers. Two mains + 2 coffees was just under $50. If simplicity & good cooking is what you're looking for Le Vieux Velo will satisfy.

This place got eggs Benedict ON LOCK! I've never seen a brunch spot that had different kinds. My partner got the chipotle one and I got the smoked salmon, and both were some of the best we've ever had. Their homemade hollandaise sauces go super hard and pair well with each kind they have. If you're an eggs Bene-addict, you'll love this place. If you're not, it's never too late.

Went to this place during my vacation in Montreal. There are plenty of free parking on the street during the holidays. The area is quiet and peaceful. Many other restaurants in the area too. Le Vieux Velo does serve a good coffee in my opinion. The coffee bean they use was full of flavor. The simple breakfast was tasty. The egg is fluffy and the bread is great 👍.

Very fun, casual, laid back lunch. Elevated yet approachable. The food is excellent. Some of the best fries I have had in the city. The pavlova was perfectly airy with a satisfying crack. The service is easygoing with a light touch. If you want to be doted on very carefully this might not be the spot.

Um, so I’m completely blown away by how casual and comfortable Larry’s comes off being but at the same time the service is so attentive and warm, and the food (and even the coffee?!) is out of this world. Easily my best and favourite brunch in Montreal. Espresso 1000 out of 10, as good as Osmo Scone 1000 out of 10 Fries 1000 out of 10 Squash 1000 out of 10 Scrambled eggs with the bacon, it’s important to have a bite of both together, 10 out of 10 Sausage 7 out of 10 Panzanella 8 out of 10 You should go and get taken care of by this team.

Everything here is so good. They make their own ham, and the cold-cut sandwich is unbelievably good. The roasted tomatoes and mushrooms are incredible and keep me coming back time after time. Menu items are fairly simple but a tour de force in making the simple, excellent. Love the cocktails too.

Place is very cute. But honestly the food was ok…Very pricey and tiny. I took the beef tartare and it was very blend (24$ for the smallest portion). And I took the scone too, and inside it wasn’t properly cooked (11$ for 1 scone). But coffee was good.

Great neighbourhood bar with some excellent small plates. Had a nice buzz the second I walked in. Service was surprisingly slow despite a lot of friendly faces. I think I might have come in during a shift change though because three servers sat down at the bar to enjoy drinks with their friends or partners pretty quickly.

Food was good, price includes tip already so pricing is reasonable. The fries were amazing as was the scrambled eggs, though a tad on the saltier side. Went back a second time and it was just as good as the first time. Started with the ceviche this time and the cubes of fish were cut nice and thick, super fresh. Flavoring a bit more on the tart side but overall was a very nice starter. Tried the pork chop as the main and it was cooked perfectly, seasoned welll and very juicy. The part near the bone was especially good.

if you are craving something sweet, you will definitely want to consider this place. the hot chocolate was really good, and the fondue was decent. i tried the dark and milk chocolate mix, and it was alright but i probably wouldn’t order it again. the service was a bit slow but they were wrapping up a birthday party so that could’ve been a factor. i would return, but maybe just for the hot cocoa next time.

The place isn’t huge, and when I went it wasn’t full, but there was a steady flow of people coming and going. We ordered the Churro Fondue, the Banana and Strawberry Crêpe, and a lemonade (which we never received, but at least it wasn’t charged). When we arrived, we were seated but not told to order online; we only realized after waiting that that’s how it worked. The portions are very large, definitely good for sharing at the table. The flavors were decent, but honestly, I expected a bit more. The churros were a little stale and flavorless, and the crêpe was chewy and doughy. Not terrible, but the quality could definitely be better. That said, the prices are quite fair for the portion sizes, so it’s not a bad deal. Overall, it’s not a terrible spot and it’s not expensive, but with so many amazing food options in Montréal, I personally wouldn’t come back, not because it was bad, but because there are better options elsewhere. Still, it’s a good place if you’re craving something decadent, affordable, and easy to share.

If you’re in the mood for sweet crepes, this place might be worth a visit—but only if you’re here strictly for dessert. The atmosphere is cool, and they specialize in sweet crepes and fondue, so naturally, we had to try a few. We ordered three crepes in total: the Nutella & Fruit Crepe, the Camp Fire, and the Ham It Up. The sweets were absolutely splendid - generous portions, rich flavor, and definitely enough for two people to share. The Nutella & Fruit crepe, in particular, was our favorite. Now, I knew savory dishes weren’t their main thing, but I decided to give the Ham It Up a shot anyway, since I like having both sweet and savory during a meal. Big mistake. I can confidently say: don’t order it. The presentation was off, the taste was terrible, and neither of us could eat more than a bite—it went straight to waste. Unfortunately, the service didn’t help make the experience any better. The waitress only came over once to check if we had placed our order, and after that, we didn’t see her again until the crepes were about to be served. She brought a bottle of water just before the food arrived, which felt a bit late. No one was around to ask questions or assist, and overall, the service felt inattentive. So, if you’re just looking for a quick, tasty dessert, especially one of their sweet crepes, go ahead and give it a try. But don’t expect much from the service, and I wouldn’t recommend this place for a proper meal. Stick to dessert, enjoy the atmosphere, and you’ll leave happy!

Delicious desserts! Decent portion size. My feedback to the store would be to add picture for each dish or dessert in the online menu that we get after scanning the barcode. Although ingredients are written on the menu very well, a picture would give nice visual representation of the dish and portion size too. Lastly, awesome taste, loved it! Thank you!!

Incredible place with delightful vibes and very friendly staff! My Fiancé and I don't speak French very much at all, so there was a tiny bit of a language barrier, but our order came out well! You get a lot of yummy sweets for what you pay for and the place is honestly so nice to just sit around and enjoy the atmosphere of! We came at around 11 PM at night, so about an hour before closing, so there were no issues with wait time or anything. I'd definitely recommend coming at night if you're a night person, much more calm and cozy and a good late night snack if you're looking for one! It's a few minutes from the Place des Arts metro stop and worth the walk.

Was looking for a desert spot and definitely this is the one. Perfect late night cafe / desert location. The desert options are endless and customizable. Quality was excellent, and loved the fact that it wasn’t overly sweet. The cafe options were also great, my cappuccino was delicious. Surprisingly they don’t serve them on saucers with stir spoons? The service was okay. The gentleman was nice, but serving is not his element for sure. He never came to check on us after dropping off the plates. We only saw him when we got up to ask for the bill, at which point you have to pay at the cash, which is fine. A little hospitality goes a long way, especially in a restaurant setting.

Such a treat going here! The place was busy, but we were served quite quickly. We had a marshmallow sharing plate and fondue sharing plate that were perfect. A must stop if you're a chocolate lover with a major sweet tooth!

Another amazing experience at Tendresse! I rarely go out, but this is the spot I will always choose to support. The staff is incredible—so kind, calm, and attentive. The food is outstanding, with unique flavors and a special touch that makes every dish just right—not too much, just enough, which I truly appreciate. The drinks are fantastic, and the desserts are both original and divine. Lastly, the ambiance is simply beautiful and cozy. Even when the restaurant is packed, you can still hear yourself talk—a rare gem! The decor, lighting, and plants make this place truly live up to its name: TENDRESSE. We’ll be back!

One of the best vegan restaurants we have ever been to (and for reference I’ve been vegan for 30 years and have been lucky to try a lot of great vegan restaurants all over the world). The food taste like upscale, elevated fine dining vegan food with lovely presentation. This is not your typical vegan junk food with vegan faux meat type of restaurant. Every single dish we tried was amazing and the presentation outstanding. 5 star amazing that I can’t stop thinking about it. Their freshly made sourdough focaccia is the best I’ve ever had and the reason I chose to dine here; the eggplant scallops were scrumptious; the dumplings with peanut butter sauce the ultimate comfort food; the drinks were fantastic with beautifully presented carrot ginger lime juice; and I am seriously regretting that we didn’t order dessert. The ambiance is warm and welcoming, and the owner is awesome and down to earth. Next time we are in Montreal, this restaurant will always be on our agenda. Can’t wait to dine again!

It’s a vegan restaurant near Beaudry station! location isn’t best due to homeless people on St. Catherine but once you enter the restaurant, you feel like it’s a different universe. I went for a work meeting dinner. It’s ok - buy protein options are limited. I was fasting that day and the service was too slow for what to eat. We picked the host table which has 3 meals but it took like 3h to get through each course! Food is overall ok - service is slow and stuff is nice. Overall if you’re looking for something filling and healthy, probably not the go to especially if you’re fasting.

The menu is very interesting and innovative! The taste is unique, rich, and flavourful! The plates might seem small but very filling! Do try the pave, you will enjoy it! The price point is high but the vibe in sainte Catherine is worth it! Request: please have Air conditioning if possible

Good food, nice ambience. It's a vegan restaurant just next to station Beaudry, there are decent choices to pick from. But some weird happened, me and my friend got upset stomach after eating the food. It rarely happens that I get upset stomach with outside food. I was a bit surprised.

This is the BEST vegan restaurant Ever (reviewed by a long time vegan foodie)! So rare to find a gem of a place where EVERYTHING you order is a win win and you can’t go wrong with anything you select. The food is a marriage between comfort food and fine dining, crafted with all vegan whole food plant based ingredients. This is the place to wow your carnivore friends who eschew anything vegan; or to impress a date. Lovely atmosphere with incredible service and staff. The owner is so warm and welcoming. Love her vibe! Highly recommend the housemade sourdough focaccia (best I have ever had); dumplings (missing these already); loaded fries with homemade Parmesan cheese and truffle oil; pasta with eggplant; panacotta (visually stunning); the burger is fantastic (I’m selective with vegan burgers and don’t like most, but this is 1 that I could eat all the time!) and the list goes on! 10/10 and if we lived in Montreal, this would be our go to place. For now it will be our number 1 whenever we visit!

We had a great time at Tendresse! The server was very helpful and the food was great! Beautifully presented dishes made with a unique combination of ingredients. One thing I don’t like about “healthy” restaurants is that they often overdo the salt and oil, but I am glad to say that was not the case here! The cocktail menu was also original and well thought out. I lined the personalized customer service such as getting a ginger lemon tea off the menu, or that the espresso which we forgot about and got cold was readily replaced free. Not pictured are the desserts, which were also yummy. Nb the high price per person was because we ordered two dishes per person plus one dessert per person + one drink +/- one coffee at the end. Downside was that it was really loud inside making it hard to hear and we had to talk really loud. I will definitely be back!!

Lovely cafe ! I went for a late brunch on a Sunday afternoon. The place was busy, but we were able to be seated fairly quickly since we came late afternoon. You may have a wait if you go during peak times. I got the tartine and subbed for gluten free toast (with an additional cost) and a matcha latte. Around $30 for everything but I guess typical when compared to other brunch places in Montreal🥲

A very nice-looking cafe where one must wait to be seated, at least on a weekend. Everything is wonderful, except for food, and I actually came for it. I ordered potato pancakes (latkes), but it seems the cook has no idea what it is.. it was a burnt something in oil that cannot be eaten. Sunny side up eggs are also far from ideal full of runny egg whites. The presentation itself is also awful - as if everything was dumped on one plate. My husband took bacon - it was so dry that it was brittle. When I complained, they didn't even apologize to me. This is probably the norm here. The only thing I can praise this place for is coffee. But this place is definitely not for food. I don’t understand all the positive reviews

Probably won’t go back. Understaffed for a Saturday. So much so that they forgot one of the orders from my table. Not sure how that happened as they were all written on the same piece of paper lol. Service also slow. I had the all dressed waffle and it was a 7 1/2 out of 10. The biggest thing is that I wish there were a few more options on the menu. I felt really pigeonholed into getting hip niche dishes, and they didn’t seem very flexible. Kind of hard to explain, but if they added a few classic brunch dishes, I think it would go a long way.

Bloom Café provided me with an outstanding experience! I had a delicious breakfast paired with delightful coffee. The server was very polite and friendly, patiently explaining the menu and consistently refilling our coffee cups with a smile. The quality of the breakfast was exceptional, and the prices were quite reasonable. The café's atmosphere was also very clean and inviting, adding to the overall appeal of the experience. This cafe is a classic in Pointe Saint Charles. I heard the Sunday brunches are really good. I ordered the Spinach Croque, which was delicious. I previously had the Tuna Sandwich and was amazed. I was not a fan of my Chai Latte, and it wasn't warm enough, maybe it would have been better served in a mug instead of a glass. It's a nice place to work if you have a laptop. And if you work in the Nordelec, it's a great place to grab a lunch. Just keep in mind that the wait is a bit long once you ordered.

I called ahead to make sure there was a table for 6, and they said yes. When we arrived, there was no table for 6. Two staff members were working on the floor, yet not a single person bothered to greet or acknowledge us. One was making drinks, the other was serving, and I literally tried to make eye contact, but she deliberately ignored me the entire time. I really hope this wasn’t racism, but honestly, it felt like it. I have never experienced such disgusting service anywhere. Without even tasting the food, this place became the worst restaurant experience of my life.

Came here for both their lunch special and their dinner tasting menu. The lunch special is definitely worth it. For 50$, you get an entree, a main meal and a dessert along with their bread service and their madeleine at the end. Everything is fresh and delicious. Their dinner menu has more services but is also way more expensive. The inside is beautiful and it’s the perfect place for a nice meal with friends and family.

I have been to Maison Boulud dozens of times for brunch, lunch and dinner and it never disappoints. The setting inside the Ritz Carlton is elegant, with the terrace in summer being one of the best spots in the city. I mostly enjoy the meat options but the fish dishes are equally well executed. Drinks are always on point and the bartenders here are among the best in town. Service is consistently attentive and professional and desserts like the chocolate coulant are unforgettable. Yes, it is a splurge but worth every visit. One of Montreal’s finest dining experiences. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We had an amazing experience at Maison Boulud! Staff were very hands on, attentive, welcoming and friendly. Food was delicious and beautifully presented. The fondant au chocolat was one of the best I’ve ever had!!! They treated us with warm fresh out of the oven mini madeleine as a birthday treat and there were just perfect!. A must try restaurant!

Great and beautiful restaurant at the Ritz-Carlton Montreal. As we stayed at the Ritz-Carlton we profited to go for dinner at the Maison Boulud. The service is sharp, attentive and friendly. The open kitchen and the dinning room are modern and modern. The food is very good and the plates presentation are nice. People having dinner were well dressed and the ambience is quite, ideal for a good conversation and have good time.

Our party of 4 had a wonderful evening at the infamous maison boulud in Montreal The service was impeccable The food delicious and perfectly presented. We were expecting small portions but we were wrong, portions were perfect. We had a table in the beautiful garden and the weather was ideal to sit out and enjoy a great meal. The glass room and indoor restaurant seatings were full as well. Staff was so friendly and accommodating. Beautiful smiles and greetings from the hostess right at the entrance to a friendly and personalized service from our waitress Lina. Very hands on and attentive. A must try, we strongly recommend this restaurant.

Came here to celebrate my brothers 51st birthday with family. Maison Boulud did nothing but compliment the celebration festivities with brilliant dinner choices with pristine presentation combined with A+++ service made the evening a very memorable one. I would not hesitate to order anything that this menu has to offer beyond the images and highly recommend pairing with champagne.

I didn’t have high expectations for the hotel restaurant, but lunch turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The three-course menu was just $50 per person, which felt like great value. The standout dishes were: 1. Chilled soup with honeydew melon and cucumber — light, refreshing, and perfectly balanced. 2. Catch of the day with artichoke purée, bok choy, and a virgin tomato-piquillo sauce — I was lucky it was sea bass, my favorite. The skin was perfectly crisp, and the fish itself was fresh and delicately seasoned. It’s not the most inventive menu, but the quality and price make it well worth trying.

The experience was warm and inviting. The hostess was pleasant and we did wait to be seated. Our waitress was very friendly and polite and once our meals arrived it was well prepared, tasty and the servings were very appropriate. The coffee was strong and hot just as we enjoy it.

As I step into the restaurant at the Sofitel Hotel “Renoir”, I’m thinking wow, nice upscale restaurant, and when I think of upscale restaurants, I think amazing service, amazing atmosphere and most of all amazing food. Well….. yes some parts of Renoir were great like the server we had was nice, polite and took to our every need, but I don’t know if she was fairly new because I found she did not know her menu very well. The atmosphere was nice, well cleaned and not so loud. We could talk to each other without yelling which was nice. Now brings me to the food. Now I love food, and no I’m not a professional food connoisseur, but I do work in a kitchen and feel I know what people are looking for, well I know what I am looking for. Let’s start with the appetizers and the amuse bouch. A corn soupish with edible flowers and some crunchy things was tasty and worth having again. Very flavourful and not too big as to fill you for your appetizers and meal. Next the appetizer, Quebec’s tomato gazpacho ricotta espuma with basil oil. This was by far the best thing I ate at Renoir. The flavour and aroma was on point. First time I ate gazpacho and now I’m hooked, so thank you for that. Then comes the main course. Let’s just say after eating the gazpacho I was a little disappointed. The amount of food for the price. Yes it was duck and sure I expected to pay a bit more for duck but what I received was surprisingly small. So then you expect it to be amazing in flavour, well sorry to disappoint you it was just ok. And what’s up with the leaf roll. I found does not match the story going on the plate. So let’s move to dessert. If I understand correctly they have a baker in the kitchen and the cakes are made in house. I ordered the pistachio cake, very nice light and tasty. Has raspberry inside. Very good. All in All not a horrible experience. But I will mention it took very long to get the food from the kitchen to the table and it was not a busy Sunday by any means.

The ambiance is very nice and the waiter was very professional, warm and cheery. The wine selection is very good and there are a lot of choices. The food was amazing. Everything was cooked to the perfection. The balance between the ingredients worked very well and it was a joy to eat all the courses. They treated the ingredients with respect and could taste the freshness in them. The portions are generous too. You'll be very full after a three course meal. Overall, I really enjoyed and strongly recommend it. We will definitely be back for more.

Good food, okay coffee. The salmon eggs benedict was decent and the potatoes were tasty. Nothing out of the ordinary, id try the poutine next time I was to visit. Had the chicken on the side. Good, flavourful chicken. Could be spicier though.

I had the chicken burger sandwich and I forgot to take the picture as it looks so good and ate it so fast! The staff were amazing. Food was amazing. The ambience was amazing. In our day and times with restaurants delivering subpar quality Fabergé stands out and is consistently providing high-quality food.

An excellent place for brunch The portions are huge. My order as represented in the photos were considered "small" If you want chicken and waffles once or twice a year this us a good place to have them. Naturallt, there are many other optuins to choose from.

The Benedict Classique was excellent — perfectly poached eggs, rich hollandaise, and flavourful smoked ham on a soft English muffin. Everything was fresh and beautifully balanced. The staff were also incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the meal even better.

Waited 15 mins for a waiter to appear then another ten to get water. Wasn’t her fault she was the only one on staff. Food was tasty but far too salty. Especially on the potatoes.

True classic Quebec cuisine. We found the pouting gravy too salty for our liking. The portions were really good and value for money. The restaurant has a 80s/90s diner style. However due to the crowds, service lacked. The staff did tried their best tho it was hard to keep up. The noise level was quite high too.

What I loved best about this restaurant is that four of the waiters joined together and sang happy birthday to my husband! They put a candle in the delicious coconut cream pie! We had cycled to Parc Jean Drapeau And thoroughly enjoyed the Fleuralies exhibit- we popped in here for an impromptu lunch. The place was full! It was lively and noisy. I had the vegetarian souvlaki which was very good (Yiasou on Queen Mary is a touch better). The Birthday 🎂 Boy and our daughter both enjoyed the souvlaki plates. The coleslaw was a bit too vinegary and it would’ve been better with carrots. The waiters were young and worked hard! The restaurant has been around for almost 80 years so that says something…..A casual place with good honest food and it has heart.

A North American style diner restaurant. As if Woolworth counter married a Coney Island. Food and portions taste great, and the prices were just right. Service was fast and friendly, too. Located just 100 feet from Atwater Market and the Lachine Canal.

Awesome restaurant! A true montreal institution and a must try! Food is fantastic. Definitely a top tier poutine. Fries cooked to perfection, poutine sauce is thick and rich, cheese curds at ideal temperature. I also had the St-Henri Burger which was also very good. A burger and a small poutine should be enough food for most appetites. With a soda and tip, it came out to 30$. Service was good and we were served quickly. The atmosphere is great, feels very warm. You can feel a sense of history in this restaurant, it has been open since 1947! Would recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a tasty and authentic Montreal experience!

Don't get me wrong - I saw the appeals, and I enjoyed the meal, but I think the flavours of the food get a bit monotone over time, even in the late-night setting (I got the steak sandwich & the chop poutine with smoked meats & hotdogs I think). Very standard Montreal-style diner fast food. The fries got a bit too dried, too (I still believe la banquise has the best poutine; call me basic, sure)

One of the worst poutine I’ve ever tasted. Fries soggy, burnt and soft and with an aftertaste of old frying oil. Poutine cheese not fresh and doesn’t squik,squik. The gravy tasteless. Returning to an old huant after almost 40 yrs. Still has its charm and and awesome menu and staff. Stopped in for a midweek brunch as we'd been in town to see a show. The plateau and main are the same and yet different than I remember. Bagel Ect, still a gem! They served up one of the best brunches we've had in Montreal. I ordered the classic Benedictine Eggs Benedict—perfectly poached eggs, rich and velvety hollandaise, all on a fresh, fluffy base. My partner had the Romanov, a version with lox, which was equally delicious—the smoked salmon was silky and flavorful without overpowering the dish. A special shoutout to their sautéed potatoes—crispy, well-seasoned, and the ideal companion to our meals. Cozy atmosphere, friendly service, and food done right. Forgot to mention, thier latte are perfect...Highly recommended!

A perfect breakfast and brunch spot. Great decor and lighting, it felt cozy the second I walked in. Fantastic music. Service was sweet and efficient. Just felt like one of those institutions where the servers and the patrons alike respect the place. Probably best eggs Benedict I’ve had in my whole life. Just *perfect* Hollandaise sauce. They know what they’re doing here. Worth a visit when you’re in MTL and wanna be treated well.

We had such a wonderful dining experience at Indian Rosa Montreal. This restaurant perfectly combines authentic Indian flavors with a modern, stylish atmosphere, making it one of the best places for Indian vegetarian food in Montreal. The ambiance was warm, trendy, and inviting – great for a date night, family dinner, or group outing. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable, helping us choose the best vegetarian options from the menu. We tried a selection of vegetarian appetizers, main dishes, refreshing drinks, and desserts. Every dish was flavorful, beautifully presented, and well-balanced in spices. The curries were rich and aromatic, the naan was fresh and soft, and the drinks complemented the meal perfectly. The desserts were an excellent way to end the evening, with authentic Indian flavors presented in a modern style.

We really enjoyed our visit! The food was excellent, especially the lamb and the traditional Indian desserts, which were absolutely delicious. The food is amazing here. I had my dinner there two days straight. Every dish is delicious, but my personal favorite is the Fruits De Mar. Only one thing, I do think the Jasmine rice is slightly dry for my taste. Overall, I highly recommend everyone to try it.

We ordered the $75 “for two” menu and were very disappointed. Despite how appealing it looks in the photo, the portions are small (Naan bread helped fill us up a bit), the dishes overly sweet, and it’s far too expensive for what you get. Overall, you’re better off choosing any other item on the menu.

I am visiting from New York and had an incredible brunch experience. Amelys served the group I was with and the was the best server ever. Super nice, helpful, made accommodations to our orders and just a joy to be served by her. Very much looking forward to coming back for another meal to be served by Amelys. Merci, beaucoup!

This spot is always a hit, the food is consistent the service is great. Some of the best Indian food you’ll have. I’ve gone to both downtown and Mt Royal locations. The vibe downtown is much better for a larger group, I would come to MT Royal for a more intimate setting.

Definitely a place not to sleep on or miss if you’re in town. Cute little brunch spot with some great tasty food. You won’t regret it ☺️. Service was amazing once inside as the wait outside was a little long since you cannot reserve on weekends. They should add the option but I understand they want to show passerby’s that this is the place to be, long line, etc.. The decor was simple, nice and subtle; fitted well with the ambiance. Our server was amazing and definitely loved his work and made our experience better. I wish there was more vegan/vegetarian options or that they looked at that side more but you won’t be disappointed if you’re a meat eater.

Been a couple of times. A very enjoyable place, service is great, food is good, but I find it heavy. It’s varied and not typical, but you fill full and heavy for the rest of the day. Lines can get long too as it’s popular and they don’t take reservations for brunch.

Decided today to leave a review. This is a fantastic place to bring friends from out of town or connect with your network locally and relax. Ordered Gros Jambon and man it was huge. Plate included toast, bacon, beans, cretons. Bravo. Especially impressed with the generosity of portion for price. A rarity in the inflation era. Sat at the bar and had 3 different servers/managers check on me. Very good.

Fantastic breakfast/brunch spot. The avocado toast with an egg was fantastic and the cinnamon roll with chocolate sauce was divine. We had excellent service and we were glad to be able to relax and chat for a calm morning in Montreal.

3 of us sat outside for brunch on a hot day in June. We enjoyed our food. Two of us had the fried chicken (and enjoyed); one added an egg. I ordered ala carte - toast, egg and a side of avocado. For beverages, we had a passion fruit lemonade (very tasty), iced matcha late and iced tea. Service was good, if a little slow. The outdoor seating area was small, but comfortable. It was obviously a little loud because of street noise, but having a normal conversation was not a problem.

Finally tried Dandy’s after years of hearing amazing recommendations from friends & family — and I totally get the hype now! Their ricotta pancakes were unbelievably fluffy, buttery, and rich — honestly some of the best I’ve ever had. The maple syrup has such a unique, deep flavor that makes the whole dish stand out. I’d give the pancakes a solid 5/5! I also tried the buttermilk fried chicken sandwich, which was really good — huge piece of chicken and full of flavor (4/5). The crispy smashed fingerling potatoes were tasty but a bit too buttery for my liking (3.5/5). I also tried their limited-time tiramisu iced latte, but it was just average (3/5). The restaurant itself is beautifully designed with a unique aesthetic, but it does get very loud during peak hours — especially on weekends. Once the rush slows down, the vibe is much more enjoyable. Overall, definitely worth visiting for the pancakes alone!

Dandy’s is a bustling hotspot that draws crowds, especially on weekends when you might find yourself waiting in line for about 30 minutes. So, is the wait worth it? Personally, I’d say not quite. But if you happen to stroll by when there's no queue, it’s definitely worth a try. Our main reason for visiting was to indulge in their renowned ricotta pancakes. Some reviews compare them to the pancakes at OEB Breakfast Co., which you can find in Vancouver and Toronto. In my honest opinion, they don’t really compare — OEB still takes the crown. Dandy’s pancakes are dense and tend to stick to your sides longer, which might appeal to some. If lemon flavor is your thing, great. Otherwise, ask for lemon cream on the side. The salad we ordered was nice but didn't really stand out.

Love this place always. I've been several times now and I am never disappointed. The pancakes are fluffy and delicious. I had the salmon toast this time and it was very good, fresh and flavourful. The portions are generous, the coffee is good and the service is good. Note that it gets quite loud in there, I know some people dislike that. Worth it 100% though!

Food was good. Pancakes were delicious. Hubby had the chicken sandwich. So big he couldn't bite into it with out removing one of the chickens on it. He really liked though. People were nice but it does feel a little cramped. Would go again.

I had a great experience at Dandy. The service was excellent and very efficient. The brunch menu is creative and everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. Despite the long line outside, it moved quickly and we were seated sooner than expected. The restaurant has a smart system where the menu is already available outside, so you can decide what you want before going in. Once we were seated, our food arrived very fast, which made the whole experience even better. The ambiance is modern and lively, and both the indoor and outdoor spaces are beautifully designed. Definitely a spot I’d return to and recommend for anyone looking for a high-quality brunch in the city.

I visited Junior Restaurant last night, and it’s hands-down the best Filipino restaurant I’ve ever tried! The vibe is amazing, especially on Mondays with their old-school DJ spinning great tunes. Highly recommend for awesome food and a lively atmosphere!

Would not recommend delivery. Although the food did arrive quickly, the food was incomplete. The Seafood Palabok was missing the calamari and shrimp chicharons. The egg wasn't a hard boiled sliced egg, it was a soft boiled egg with uncooked egg white. The junior bee, spaghetti was good, the chicken was overcooked like it was tossed back in the fryer after sitting all night, it was dry and burnt. I wanted this to be good, I'm a sucker for Filipino spaghetti..... Would I reorder. Maybe. The spaghetti was good, everything else lacked care and wasn't worth the money.

Delicious food! The crispy pork belly is amazing, very crispy and juicy. I also had the rice noodles with fried chicken, also very delicious. Unfortunately one of the chicken pieces was a bit undercooked, but it tasted so good that I did not ask to change the dish, I just didn't eat that piece. The portion was really big and great for sharing. At the end, I told them about the piece of chicken, they apologized and offered me a free desert. I tried the cassava cake and it tasted very good too. For drinks, we had the caipirinha and the mango juicy. Very good too. Highly recommend.

The food was delicious. Best Filipino restaurant I’ve tried in Montreal. Staff was friendly. Would go back. The server mentioned they also own JunJun (another restaurant near this) so will check that out too!

First time trying filipino food. Tried the fried fish, eggplant dip, fried pork belly, pork sisig and seafood pancit. The dishes were certainly interesting and unique but there was always something a bit off for each dish: pork sisig was a bit too salty to our taste but complimented well with rice; fried fish and fried pork belly lacked a bit of flavor/salt. Glad we tried, but we might try other dishes next time.

Got takeout from Junior Filipino and it was a great experience! The service was quick and friendly, and the food hit the spot. I had the lechonsilog — crispy lechon, garlic rice, and egg — and it was absolutely delicious. Flavorful, filling, and well-prepared. Definitely coming back to try more dishes!

My fried rice lechon dish was so tasty I wanted to do another round. Great music (obviously, JoJo), awesome vibes.

Small Korean cafe with an eclectic vibe, serving some Korean staples and brunch food. We tried different tasty dishes like japchae, Kimchi fried rice and ramen. The matcha latte was good too! The owner was very sweet and even offered some chocolate chip cookies for the kids before we left!

Delicious! Originally went for brunch (eggs and the usual), and ended up having a mouth watering Bulgogi. My friend had the Om rice. Very attentive and friendly service, and we did not feel rushed at all once we were done eating. I also enjoyed a chocolate chip cookie and I noticed they have some empanadas also as well as some soy milk products and smoothies if that’s your thing. We’ll be back :)

How did this place have such amazing reviews? The food was below average, even the food at the food courts in the malls are better... Response to owners message: We were hungry and wasting food is not something I like to do, especially when paying for it. I didn't say the food is disgusting, I just said it's not that good. Does not taste like authentic Korean good. I've had better korean food at other korean restaurants.

I love this place! They have the best vegan chicken waffle. I tried their tempeh katsu and it was mind-blowing.. the flavors are just right. Not a big matcha person but really loved their matcha latte with oat milk. Can’t wait to visit again!

Saturday night, October 25th: My girlfriend and I weren't specifically looking for vegan fare, but this place looked nice, so in we went and I'm glad we did. Food was excellent. Three staff members were very attentive and knowledgeable about how various things were made. There are magicians in this kitchen! Food arrived slowly, which might bother some people, but not us. We're slow eaters. Thank you!

Even though I’m far from being a vegan, I love meat and all the culinary delights that come with it!!! I truly enjoyed every single dish I tried here. Our small family lunch left such a warm impression. One of the dishes wasn’t quite hot, but the lovely waitress quickly fixed it, and our lunch turned out just perfect! Thank you for the delicious food, great service, and wonderful atmosphere.

A beautiful cozy vegan restaurant, with multiple healthy options to eat and drink. The available drinks are all great options, and the ingredients feel natural and fresh. The food is also good, yet we felt that the portions were not enought for the dishes we chose (the BLT and the pain perdu). The service is amazing. Definitely coming back to try other dishes and drinks.

I was very pleasantly surprised how good this restaurant is and how delicious their vegan dishes are! We had their table d'hôte menu and it was great. Everything about the food was amazing. There was so much taste and the portions were simply perfect. We also really enjoyed the atmosphere which, in the evening, was really nice, especially with the window table.

We went here for dinner and the food was phenomenal. Highlights for me were the crudo melon, bao, cho -fleur shawarma, maitake, champignon buffalo, and brownie. The crudo melon was by far my favorite, there were various ingredients which created combinations of flavors, every bite was refreshing, different, and amazing.

Dinned here on August 24th, we were walking on Rue-Notre Dame and came across this restaurant. We were seated immediately and got to choose where we sat. There were only a few people inside but it was early lunch so understandable. We ordered the Truffle Mac & Cheese, Chicken & Waffles and Indian Butter Chicken Tacos (2) Everything was delicious. I was hesitant to try the tacos because everyone makes their butter chicken differently but I was pleasantly surprised. The Mac & Cheese I got as a side dish and could have just ate that by itself. The music was nice, the seats were comfy and the atmosphere was cozy and chic. They did bring me the wrong order at one point but quickly rectified it!

I went here for an early dinner on a Saturday night. The place wasn’t too busy. I ordered the tartare and my friends got the fried chicken, Mac and cheese, and oysters. The service was excellent ! Their salmon tartare is different than what I’ve had at other restaurants and is a decent option is you’re looking for something lighter than fried chicken. The crispy fried wontons that come with the tartare were a nice touch and made the dish more filling. My friends really liked the chicken.

The golden and slightly crispy waffles and perfectly cooked fried chicken were simply delicious. The sirracha maple sirup combination ensured a unique completion flavour that got us like a firework. Impeccable and friendly service. Inspired drinks.

Visiting from Dallas, Texas and loved the fried chicken and watermelon. Excellent service, clean and great music.

The food was good and drinks were good but definitely not worth the price or wait time. The chicken and waffles came with one small drumstick. There were about 5 other tables but we ended up waiting 1.5 hours for our food. It also took about 10 minutes to even get water or the menus. All the other tables were also waiting for a very long time to be served. If you're diabetic, bring a snack because you might faint before receiving your food.

I had heard a lot about this restaurant and finally had the opportunity to go. The food was incredible, especially the Syrniki, the cottage cheese pancakes, which are very famous, and now I understand why, simply delicious. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere was good and the location is great. Highly recommended!

Second time at this location and once again, they didn’t disappoint! Everyone was so friendly, and the service was great. I brought friends visiting from the U.S, and they loved it too. The food was delicious, and the staff was super accommodating. They had run out of bagels for our salmon tower and offered an alternative that actually worked out even better for me. Later, they mistakenly made the wrong dessert for my friend, but caught it before serving us our meal, and instead of wasting it, they gave us both. This was so thoughtful. Highly recommend!

Wow wow wow Arthur’s!!! You outdid yourself today!!! I kept hearing from a friend about the brunch at Arthur’s and about these best pancakes in the city. I was not planning on heading out this afternoon but made the trip and LET ME TELL YALL !!!! Me and my belly were left speechless with the amazing service from our waiter Stevo & the food coming out the kitchen. I challenge someone to refer me to better pancakes! And they don’t serve pork🙌🏾the beef bacon is really good. Everything was fantastic except for the second round of drinks. I made a reservation for Sunday breakfast but was surprised to find plenty of open seating when we arrived. That said, everything else was great. The cottage cheese pancakes were delicious, and the latke special tasted good with a nice side salad. Kind of a longer wait time for the food arrive though. Service was very friendly and attentive without being overbearing. A solid spot with good vibes.

Chicken schnitzel sandwich, cottage cheese pancakes, and croque tuna. Cottage cheese pancake are perfectly caramelized around the edges with pillowy, almost custardy middles with gooey cottage cheese interiors. They’re well-salted, not too sweet and perfect for a dousing of maple syrup. Everything is consistently tasty. Highly recommended. (They need more staff at peak time however because even with a rezzie, there quite a lineup before getting seated and the greeter also sets the tables!)

Summary: Food takes 40+ minutes to arrive (incomplete). Offered no real explanation We got our orders in at 11:52 (waiter showed us the slip) and it somehow took until 11:32 for our food to arrive. I asked the person who delivered the food why it took so long and he literally walked away shrugging while yelling back "I'm just a waiter" People who were seated after we ordered were finished eating before anything came out from the kitchen. Our original waiter explains it's because the pancakes we ordered took 15-25 minutes. What the kitchen was doing for the other 20 we have no idea. We also noticed our pancakes didn't come with blueberries while everyone else's did. The waiter says he asked but neither of us remember this conversation, but it's insanely loud in the restaurant. This isn't mentioned anywhere on the menu either. He offered us a free coffee on the house but had no explanation for why it took 40 minutes for our food to arrive after the kitchen had gotten our ticket. I understand lunch is busy but it's literally the only shift this place is open for. Why do you only have 3 waiters and 4 cooks? There's a full time barista doing nothing 80% of the time. The food was fine but not worth waiting 40 minutes for, especially given that lunch break is just an hour/hour and a half, so we had to rush our meal and could barely enjoy it. Then he pulls out this machine where the lowest tipping option is 18%. I don't think the waiter did anything wrong here given he was able to provide receipts proving he punched the order in at 11:52 so I did leave him a tip, but it's unbelievable that an order placed BEFORE the main lunch rush took almost an hour to arrive.

A chain breakfast place. The menu is extensive and has a little bit for every diet. They serve some breakfast cocktails. Service is fast and the place is usually busy. Reservations recommended. The atmosphere is modern and clean. This location is in the center of all the action in Montreal.

Members of my family are immunocompromised, so I need to eat outside, and this place was very accommodating. They have covered seating, but they don’t assume anyone wants to eat outside, in the cold. One waiter agreed to wait on me outside! Food was served quickly after I ordered, and it was very beautifully plated! This place is magnifique!

Great food. Very friendly service. Lively atmosphere. All day brunch. Pancakes were fluffy. Potato fries were great. Mango Orange smoothie was too sour. I was expecting it to be a bit on the sweeter side. But guess they try to serve healthy food without adding any sugar which is good👍🏼.

We enjoyed a great breakfast at Eggspectation for our last meal in Montreal before heading home. Attentive staff with the food arriving quickly. So many great menu items that it was hard to choose! But everything we had was delicious, and we appreciated the fresh fruit that came with each dish. Great spot that I would definitely visit again for breakfast in the area!

Unfortunately, I made a poor choice on my second visit — the dish was too spicy for my taste (which is entirely my fault, not the restaurant’s). The atmosphere is fairly welcoming, but it has a bit of a franchise vibe, so it’s not super cozy. Still, I recommend checking it out.

We went there on a Saturday early evening and we were a party of 3 with a 2 years old baby. Very friendly and attentive staff who welcomed us and were very patient and friendly with our baby. They do have indoor and outdoor seatings but I highly recommend the outdoor seatings since the weather was nice during our visit in late September. The atmosphere was a little bit loud since they play really loud music but at the end before our leave the music becomes more quiet and less noisy. Food was delicious and portions are easy to share with a group. I’d visit again to try their desserts.

We had an amazing brunch at this spot in Montreal! I ordered the Deville scramble with cheddar cheese eggs and potatoes — everything was so flavorful and perfectly cooked. The Caesar Bloody Marys were spicy, refreshing, and super tasty. My husband’s dish was also excellent. What a great restaurant. It's definitely a vibe and the service is wonderful. We made reservation on a Friday night and was seated right away. Our server was so friendly and attentive. Forgot his name but he's from Montana.😎 Everything we ordered was excellent. If we lived in Montreal we would definitely come back to try all the other things we liked. The beef ribs were cooked perfectly. The chips and dip were so good. We spiced up the feta dip with red pepper flakes and Montana brought us so hot sauces. The caesar salad was tasty with bits of bacon and crispy cheese. Highly recommend this place

Really wanted to have local oysters again so we decided to go to this place for brunch. Ordered half a dozen of oysters, a lobster Benny and beef ribs. All tastes amazing especially the lobster Benny (49$) and beef ribs. You can tell they put a lot of effort in making them tasty and beautiful. This puts a beautiful full stop to our trip.

Location is good at the middle Downtown. The burger and French dessert were so amazing and good quality. The red wine and Prosecco were nice. Just the service was slow, it was not busy Friday but we waited for our waiter too long

We went to Deville Dinerbar on a Sunday night after a long drive from Ottawa, and it turned out to be an absolute surprise. The food was outstanding, full of flavor, and clearly made with care. They have an absolutely great beef program that truly stands out. We ordered the short ribs, cheeseburger, Caesar salad, tuna tacos, and fries. Every single dish was perfect. The burger was to die for, and the ribs were some of the best I’ve had anywhere in Canada. The presentation, taste, and overall quality were excellent. The restaurant itself is beautiful, vibrant, stylish, and full of energy. Another highlight was the service. When we arrived without a reservation, we asked for a booth, but the host mentioned they were all taken. One of the managers, who happened to be working at a booth at the back, overheard us and immediately offered us his own table. That thoughtful gesture made a great impression and really showed the professionalism and hospitality of the team. Deville Dinerbar definitely earned a new loyal customer that night. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Montreal

Quality ingredients, big menu, great ambience, super fast service. Little expensive but whatever, it’s not an everyday spot. The kind of place I recommend showing up before 11am or not at all. It’s very popular!

Well, this was a throwback for me visiting for the first time in about 40 years and the Mish Mash was exactly the same. Omelette was good and coffee/cappuccino was also good. Got some T-shirts to bring the memories back to New York. Service top notch and of course a wait, but expect it. Moves fast.

The service was incredible, the waitress had been there since the '80s and even met Bourdain, the food is exactly what I wanted after a night of many a beer, and the atmosphere was a nice modern take on a retro diner. You'll even see the family that started this place working hard. Really a great place to experience and support. 🍳

Modern, diner vibe. Service was very friendly and attentive. Very interesting venue. No eggs benny here if that's your thing but I thoroughly enjoyed the Paysanne omelet. Packed to the brim with ingredients. Bacon, potato, cheese and parsley. Very delicious. Home fries had a good texture. Not super crispy like they were deep fried but just a hint char from the flat top possibly. The Omelette was huge and well worth the value. We decided last minute to try to go early, get a walk in without resos and got lucky. From the sounds of it, they'll try to squeeze you in if they're full but probably a safer bet to reserve ahead of time. Thanks for the experience. Will definitely come again.

Fantastic spot for weekend brunch! My friend and I shared the blueberry pancakes, which were absolutely delicious—the perfect balance of fluffy texture and just the right amount of blueberries. We also tried the BLT, and it was an amazing mix of sweet and savory flavors that hit all the right notes. This place is absolutely gorgeous! We celebrated my partner’s birthday there, and it was an experience of its own, not just a dinner date. The food was nicely served, and they offer split bowls, which I don’t see in Vancouver a lot. It’s a very convenient idea! Wellington was soft and delicious, and our favourite was the mushroom soup, which we couldn’t get enough of! The chicken roulade was soft, and the steak tartare was okay.

The 6-pc fresh New Brunswick oysters starter was accompanied with tender, grated horseradish, and homemade vinegarette and hot sauce 🦪 It was excellent. The Chicken Roulade seemed to be the wallflower amongst the sophisticated dinner entrees but was the dark horse. The sliced, stuffed rolled chicken was mouth-melting with the Perigueux sauce. The accompanying king oysters and truffle pavé was delectable. This dish deserves an award 🏅

I can’t recommend this place enough! It’s absolutely stunning, the food is great, and the service exceptional. Everything we had was great, but the Beef Wellington and cream of mushroom soup stole the show. Will definitely come back anytime we’re in Montreal.

I loved it, it's an special place for special moments I went with my wife and we had a great time there, the attention is really good, the place is really beautiful you can have really good pictures there, and finally the food was really good, I ordered the abeef Wellington and it was perfect. Advice: there are plenty of parking places near and once inside try to take a picture with you on the stairs that drives you to the second floor that will be a perfect photo.

Tommy Café is a beautiful, airy spot with a great vibe, perfect for catching up or getting some work done. The service was friendly, and the space is definitely Instagram-worthy. I had an oat cappuccino and a pastry. The pastry was solid, but the coffee fell a bit flat, the oat cappuccino could use more flavor and balance. Still, a lovely place overall. I'd come back to try something else on the menu.

The selection and size of the avocado toast is worth 5 stars. A local took us to her favorite of the classic Montreal cafes and I understand why it is so popular. We had lunch and things were bustling. Staff were friendly and kept things clean including the upstairs bathrooms. I’m a Tommy Cafe bro forever.

While visiting Montreal, I made a point of stopping by this café after bookmarking it on Google. The cute decor and positive reviews had already caught my attention. Parking was difficult to find, so we ended up walking quite a bit after leaving the car. I loved the café’s corner location, which gave it a charming vibe, especially with the staircase leading up to it. The layout was unique, with multiple levels and scattered seating, although it was tricky to find space for our group of four and we eventually split into pairs. We tried several items. The iced matcha latte with vanilla wasn’t the strongest I’ve had, but the flavor was still enjoyable. The lavender latte was a pleasant surprise, carrying the lavender notes beautifully without being overpoweringly floral. The matcha cookie quickly became a favorite. It was so good that we went back to grab the last one. While I wished for a slightly stronger matcha flavor, the texture was perfect and the sweetness level just right. It just really hit the spot. The Avococo was another delicious pick, with well-balanced flavors. The grilled cheese was tasty but small and a bit plain (they could use more cheese and maybe even a variety of types), while the tomato soup served alongside was creamy, herb-forward, and flavorful, though also quite small for the price. Overall, everything we tried tasted great, the service was friendly, and the café itself is beautifully decorated and unique. That said, the price point is a bit higher than I’m used to, especially considering the portion sizes.

Trying Cuban coffee (Café Cubano) for the first time was a standout moment—bold, beautifully layered, with a rich crema and subtly sweet finish. It was love at first sip! The texture and intensity were unlike any other espresso-style coffee I’ve had. 🥐 The croissant was flakey and buttery, and paired perfectly with the robust coffee. 🥯 The bagel was fresh, and the ham & mozzarella croissant sandwich was savory and satisfying, especially with the fresh side salad. 🌸 The macarons added a sweet, dainty touch to end the meal on a light note.

One of the best and authentic Thai food in Montreal. Their red curry and green curry are too good! I was dreaming about it 2 days after I had the food. Their vegan chicken skewers are amazing with ting of lemon! I recommend the place every single time. It gets really crowded in the summer, so call to reserve.

I brought my meat lovers, and they LOVED everything we had, they said that it tasted very very good and they would go again. Food was really delicious in Chuchai :) I tried the menu at 55$ with 5 different mini starters and for the main I had the mock duck with spinach and bowl of sticky rice ! Sensational , really !!! Chocolate cake as a dessert and my favourite tea at the end of the meal ! So so pleased with the staff , everybody was really lovely - thank you to Emily so kind I was in Holliday there but I wish to come back again soon !

We stumbled across Falafel St. Jacques looking for spots on our way back to Old Montreal from the airport. It was our favorite meal so far in 3 days of this trip! Easily one of the best meals I've had recently in general. My family eats a lot of falafel and shawarma in California, and this was one of the best I've had. For 12$ USD, we each got a pita sandwich and choice of two sides and a drink! I had the Jerusalem trio pita with tabbouleh and mushrooms - so flavorful. My dad got the same with baba ghanoush and eggplant, which were divine. Probably could have taken home leftovers, but it was all too good not to finish right away. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. We could have stayed and talked with them for hours. We even got recommendations for our next stop in Quebec City. The team said they cook for other like they cook at their homes, and you can taste the love. Everything was so fresh and flavorful. I WISH we had a Falafel St. Jacques in our hometown - I'd go every day!

Staff was extremely friendly. Food was amazing and I am blown away by how good vegetarian food can be! They are also very generous with the portions. I will definitely be thinking about this place until the next time I am around the area

Came to Montreal for Formula 1 weekend and stayed in the neighbourhood of Falafel St. Jacques. Went for lunch and was welcomed so warmly by the woman behind the counter. She was super informative and so friendly. We got a Falafal Trio fully loaded and slightly spicy and our first bite was a stare at one another moment. Soooo tasty. It came with a salad where you get to choose two items from a healthy number of choices. I got the mushroom salad (highly recommend) and paired it with the avocado salad. Super happy we stumbled into this place. Absolutely would recommend.

My wife and I were passing through Montreal doing our Harley Davidson Dealership visits and found this place down the road. BEST DECISION EVER! The lady who helped us was the NIECEST person we could have hoped for, the food was OUTSTANDING and the place is such a cute little city food MUST! Sitting outside on the deck our hostess (and I'm so sorry I didn't get her name) came to check on us, brought us some free pastries and then before we left she dropped another chocolate dessert on the table for our ride back to Ottawa. WE WILL BE BACK!

There are those who claim other smoked meat places are better. Those people are what's known as wrong. Snowdon has been in business for over 75 years for a reason... they make the best smoked meat in Montreal. Solid fries and the rest of their menu is great, but the smoked meat is where it's at. My family has been going for over 50 years... I currently live seven hours away and I would happily make the drive just for a sandwich.

Our second favorite of the three smoked meat spots we tried. The sandwich was tasty, meat was well done and lovely peppery flavor, and the matzo ball soup was delicious. The service was on the slow side, the staff’s friendliness made up for it.

Whilst most tourists opt for the Montreal Smoked Meat at the iconic' Schwartz '. We decided to follow the recommendations of a few local chefs and head over to another Montreal institution, ' Snowdon Deli ' instead. In our opinion, in addition to equally if not better tasting Smoked meat, Corn Beef and Brisket, Snowdon also offers a bigger and more varied menu. The result? A most enjoyable casual lunch with stand-out sandwiches, Jewish deli fare and a mindbogglingly good Chicken soup with dumplings( kreplach)!

Classic deli with a great smoked meat sandwich. Was smaller than I was expecting, but full of flavour. The meat was so tender. The matzo ball soup and potato salad were also great.

I thought I had the best sandwich in Montreal. But Snowdon was excellent. The vibe, the wonderful servers made this just a great experience. Look forward to visiting everytime I am in the city.

I'd say that this is the best smoked meat sandwich that I ever had. It was extremely moist, tender, and had a ton of flavor. Their pickles were also excellent and true fermented deli pickles. If you're from NY or NJ, you'd love this place.

Went to Schwartz the past 2 times until someone recommended me to Snowdon Deli. I highly rate their smoked meat sandwich. We also had the Snowdon special and coleslaw. Both were good. I’d definitely come here over Schwartz. I got the fatty cut and absolutely no regrets. There was no line. Service was quick and friendly staff. Highly recommend!

If you're used to Western breakfasts like omelets, English ham and sausage, and Mon coco etc, try a traditional Iranian breakfast. Byblos Restaurant is named after a city in present-day Libya with a 7,000-year history, once ruled by the Persian Empire. Naan, feta cheese, dill herbs, olives, and radish, along with a cup of sweet Persian tea, make up the essential Persian breakfast. The warm, freshly baked bread and naan, paired with homemade jam from an Iranian mother, and the aromatic flavors of ginger and rose petals, create a rich and complex flavor. Add scrambled eggs between pita bread for a complete and luxurious Iranian breakfast.

I was there for a quick bite and we stopped because the ambiance was nice. They serve small plates and the food is very flavorful. I'm thinking of going for a full meal.

We made a special trip from Toronto to try this Iranian-style brunch, and it was absolutely worth it! The highlight was definitely the house-made bread and jam — wonderfully aromatic with a unique flavor that keeps you wanting more. I especially recommend their feta cheese: creamy and full of depth. Overall, a fantastic experience, and we’ll definitely be back.

Disappointing Experience. After many years, going back to this café was very disappointing. The service was extremely slow and poor. The food portions were small, and the sugar loaf (naan ghandi) was completely stale. They completely forgot to bring one of our orders, yet at the end, they had added it to our bill. When we pointed it out, they corrected the bill without any apology or sign of concern. won’t be going back, and if you do visit, make sure to double-check your final bill.

We had Sunday brunch. The standard breakfast menu includes a beverage, bread of some sort, jam and potentially eggs. You can however order from anywhere in the menu including a variety of egg-based pies like quiche and prepared spreads like hummus, eggplant or beet-based concoctions that come with different types of bread for dipping. Gluten free bread and pita is available on request. The dishes were delicious though simple and more filling than they look. This is a good place to go for a group to share a few different dishes and get a good sampling.

We had dinner at the bar of Marcus on a Friday evening. The atmosphere was very vibrant. The oysters were fresh and the pasta with lobster was just delicious. A great start of the weekend.

Really great time, very beautiful setting and fairly attentive and fast service. The food was delicious... Especially the dessert menu where you get to see all the desserts in real life instead of a paper menu... Pretty cool! Underground parking entrance was impossible to spot with all the city construction... Ended up parking in the parking garage down the street There was a bit unclarity if taxes were being added on the tip and the hostess didn't really clarify... It was a few dollars so we let it go but it would be nice if the bill was clearer.

Great experience here at Marcus we had a group of 9 and got a nice more private area seating spot. We ordered everything family style and shared everything we had ordered. We had someone who was vegetarian and the resturant accommodated by making a truffle pasta which was not on the menu specifically for him! A few of the notable mentions are the bluefin tuna tartar, the wagyu beef (this is market price so be aware of the weight), and the portobello mushroom (incredible!) We got each of the desserts that were available and my favourite was the round dark chocolate tart (unfortunately I don't remember the name of this but it was delicious if you like chocolatey things!

Great service,ambiance and staff ! Will never stop going 🤣 The pasta and lobster are 12/10. Never disapointed !! The truffle fries are also a must everytime ! Sea Tower : Fresh and delicious ! The sauce that came with shrimp was delicious 😋 The salads were a good portion and also great!

The chef table experience was wonderful. Appreciate the thoughtfulness in crafting a menu that was suited to my dietary needs. The service was exquisite. The meal started with caviar on a latke that was crispy on the outside and creamy inside. Next was a bluefin tuna tartare with wasabi cream and radishes, this dish was beautiful and had the perfect balance of textures. Our third dish was a caramelized scallop with a dairy free hollandaise sauce, the sauce was tart and absolutely delicious. The next dish was the stand out for me, steamed cod with the most amazing vegetables—this was absolute perfection! The last dish was a cherry sorbet inside a vanilla meringue cup which was so pretty! Really appreciated this addition, as finding dairy free and gluten free desserts can be challenging. Absolutely recommend this experience. Thank you for a wonderful meal! Also a note, we had breakfast at this restaurant as well and everything was great. The chia pudding is amazing! There are dairy free and gluten free options for breakfast!

@Robyn Lazare: I dined at Marcus for brunch. $75 for myself alone and I received a two egg omelet with a cherry tomato and one slice of toast. Not a breakfast potato or accompaniment in sight. After being told they had run out of orange juice.. No orange juice?!?!? Do they have oranges? It was replaced by an $11 glass of grapefruit juice with a film around the glass like it had been stored in the fridge for days. I received my $10 cappucino in the tiniest cup without so much as a sprinkle of cinnamon and it was cold. After requesting for it to be replaced, I received my coffee at the end of my meal. The lovely girl who worked there told me that she is forbidden to eat at her own place of work as she requires several sign off signatures for the honour. I guess they value their staff even less than there customers. What a ripoff!! It seems I was even overcharged for a green juice which obviously I did not have. $14 for old stagnant grapefruit juice. $10 gratuity was added on to the bill for my server who was the only good thing about the experience.

What a hidden gem in Montreal! The crepes here are truly amazing…one of the best we had so far (highly recommend the Martiniquaise). We also tried two savoury crepes for breakfast, and everything was fresh, flavourful, and beautifully prepared. You can feel the care and hard work in every detail. The service was warm and attentive. The owner was very kind, honest, and offered us great recommendations from their menu, and made us feel welcome. We don’t speak French, so we were a bit nervous, but the server was very patient and friendly. The restaurant has a cozy and relaxing atmosphere, with even an outdoor garden seating area. The dishes were beautifully presented, thoughtfully prepared, and delicious. Highly recommended!

Awesome experience! Light and flavourful dough, well seasoned fillings, fair price and cozy environment. Didn't even photographed the salty crêpe because was so delicious I ate it all at once! I'll be back surely to try some of the other options in the menu.

I got the savory crepe that had two scrambled eggs and sausages. My wife ended up having one that had olives, arugula, some tomato and hummus. The presentation of the crepes is great. The ingredients are good and the taste is decent. The satiety factor is low. There just wasn't a lot in the crepes. Other than that, service was good and the atmosphere was cool. Waitress was very friendly. The value of the savory crepes just wasn't there for us, but it may be for others.

My partner and I were staying in Griffintown for a few days, and tried this place for breakfast/brunch one day. What a gem..!!! They had their patio at the front of the restaurant, which meant we were able to eat with our furbaby (very important!), and the crêpes were amazing. I also paired mine up with some pineapple juice, which was so perfect and fresh. Service was quick, friendly, and easy-going. Everything about that meal was perfect, that when we ended up in Montréal again a few days later but was too far from Griffintown to walk to the restaurant, we ended up ordering the crêpes online for delivery to a hotel on the other end of downtown! And how those crêpes held up so well despite a 20-minute drive is honestly beyond me. (All their food packaging was also environment-conscious, recyclable or compostable, a huge plus for me!). We will most definitely be visiting Spanel every time we find ourselves in Montréal.

The fried chicken was decent. It was freshly fried so that made it taste good enough, but the batter felt a little off, maybe seasoning, maybe oil too hot, and the breast was a little dry. But overall, the biscuit was amazing, mashed potatoes and gravy were good and the waffles were tasty. We also got a derby pie, if I remember the name correctly, and it tasted very sweet but not in a bad way, but the crust was very hard, dry and felt old. I will give this place another chance at a later time. Hoping for a better experience!

Okay, this place is AMAZING! the staff are so kind and the food is incredibly delicious. The gravy, mac and cheese, and biscuits were really really good and the desserts as well! I got the key lime pie and also tried a bit of the blueberry cheesecake. I seriously can’t wait to go back and try their chicken and waffles and other rotational desserts!!

The setting is old school and really well maintained. The table was huge, each group was assigned to a different part. We had jars as glasses which were cute. It looks like the menu can change either every week or every few weeks. Today, we were able to get the new chicken burger which was delicious. Forgot to take a picture of it when it was whole... Loved the sauce in the burger, made the chicken more flavorful! The chicken was well fried too. But, the mash potato was my favorite. Soft, tender, it melted in my mouth! Perfect combo with the gravy that was provided in the middle of the mash potato like a tub. The atmosphere was great with the jazz-like music they had. Excellent experience! The servers were really nice, too.

I give it a 4.5/5. Delicious South American food, more specifically it's from the state of Kentucky. I usually prefer Korean fried chicken for the batter's crunchiness and the chicken's moistness. However, this fried chicken was also delicious. The crust isn't too thick but the chicken was perfectly cooked. It was also well marinated and seasoned! You could eat it without the sauces or gravy which were all homemade. The mac and cheese was gorgeous. My dad who isn't a fan also loved it. It has something special in it. The Popeye's biscuits were crispy and soft in the inside. They weren't too dry and had a nice garlic hint to it. They are however not my favorite. The desserts were also very good, but I preferred bagatelle Pina colada trifle to the Derby pie. Overall, the service was very nice. The restaurant was small but rustic and warm. It's best to get a reservation if you plan to arrive a little later than 18:00 but it's not necessary. The food was delicious and will definitely go back.

Fried chicken was okay with a light batter, mac n cheese was nice & creamy . Waffles were a bit stale . Interesting maple syrup with a lil spicy kick . Great Biscuits, Loved the side of hushpuppies with their ranch sauce. Fun experience with everything in Picnic basket and ate the park.

Ordered sweet tea, waffles and fried chicken. Total is about 30$. Waffles and tea were good but the fried chicken was old, dry and under seasoned. You could get better chicken at your local grocery store where they let the pieces sit under a lamp for 16 hours at a time, and it would only cost you 8$. When chicken is the only protein you have, better make it good if you dare to charge that much..

Simply the best sandwitch and sweet potato I have ever had in my life. All were delicious in a real classy ambient with reasonable prices. They have their own special sauce which makes the taste amplified and the food more tender. Feeling like a valuable discovery.

Variety of breakfast choices and well priced food. The portion wasn’t too big so it’s perfect for someone who doesn’t like wasting and doesn’t want to overeat. My ordering was made perfectly and the sides and the fruits were very fresh. When we asked for some extra, they actually found a way to charge us with lower price instead of reordering the full dish. I found that’s very thoughtful and defiantly going back!

The skillet casserole was very flavourful and the portion was indeed very generous. The only downside was after half of the portion it got a bit salty, although most times restaurants tend to go more on the salty side to bring out the flavour. My friend got the chicken waffle, my favourite part might be the sunny side up egg! And we did get free refills of the coffee. Fruit juice was very fresh. I’d say the prices are on the higher end for brunch in Montreal. Overall a good experience!

We were excited to try this place due to its good review, however, we were so disappointed on the food we had. We ordered the chicken waffle, queen casserole & the cheese crepe. The chicken waffle ($18) is the worst ever out of all brunch places we've tried, the meat was so dry and hard to the point it was even hard to cut. The crepe was tasteless, the casserole was ok. We let the waitress know about the chicken at the end when we paid the bill not having any intention to ask for discount, but to let them know they should improve on that. The manager seemed to not care about the comments since we finished the plate anyways. At the end she decided to offer a 10% discount but sorry, I don't think i would recommend this place to friends.

My boyfriend and I decided to stop by because of all the good reviews we’ve seen online, however we were unpleasantly surprised. We were warned that one of the plates would take a little longer since it was pancakes, which was no issue, but when the plates arrived they were severely undercooked. We had the seasonal special pancakes and the breakfast sandwich, so undercooked eggs and flour could be a little scary for some people. The service definitely had a lot of room for improvement and even though it is a busy spot, there should be more efforts in making the experience pleasant (ex: no one came to see if our food was to our liking, the waiter was very short while taking orders, I had asked for the maple syrup on the side and received my plate covered in it, etc.). The strawberries on the pancakes were very fresh and the price was pretty good too! Overall, we wouldn’t come back.

I really enjoyed the dishes we got. Nearly a person 10/10 on the pancakes! The quality of the salmon was there; nothing fishy. I honestly would come back for the food, maybe to go. The service was super ok. We were seated in an awkward spot to begin with. Also, our waiter seemed to have a bit of an attitude. May have just been is demeanour. Either way, it wasn’t as friendly as I would have liked it to be. It didn’t ruin my experience by all means. I’m lucky to not have waited to get seat but I would also imagine this may be annoying on top of ok service.

I really enjoyed the food — the toast à la marocaine and the special syrniki with pumpkin, pecan, and cinnamon were both delicious. Portions are generous and the flavors are amazing. The place is stylish and cozy, perfect for a relaxed meal. The only downside was the long wait (about 2 hours), which can be frustrating. It would be great if they started accepting reservations. I’ll definitely come back!

Really fantastic place. Make sure you are either prepared to wait a while, or show up at opening time. We were prepared for the long wait, so we enjoyed a coffee at a nearby cafe as we waited for a table to be ready. The staff member who was in charge of the waitlist was really great. He was perfectly comfortable in both English and French, and very friendly. Our food was excellent, and came out quickly! I would also recommend the strawberry lemonade iced tea, which was super yum and not too sweet.

The food is good and the service as well. The pancakes we’re one of the best I’ve ever had, they are cheesy pancakes. They are thick and the texture is just amazing. Their eggs and salami is very good as well, the scrambled eggs are soft and buttery. Not the cheapest brunch, but if you don’t take too many items it’s pretty affordable. Definitely recommend! Try to come near opening to avoid waiting for too long :)

NEVER AGAIN! I went to Arthur’s to finally see what all the long-lasting hype was about. Big disappointment. They seated me at the very end of the bar, right next to the cash register and the kitchen entrance. I was squeezed in between two young ladies, feeling awkward and in the way, with zero room for my elbows or knees. The setup was absolutely ridiculous : comfort should be the bare minimum in any restaurant, and here it was nonexistent. The dish itself was fine, nothing special, certainly not worth the hype. Overall, uncomfortable experience, average food. I don’t recommend it and I won’t be coming back.

The BEST pancakes you’ll ever taste in Montreal!! So original and deeeelicious!!!! Even their avocado toast is yummy, but you MUST try the pancakes. They are a perfect balance of sweet & salty….crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside!! Definitely worth the hype and the wait!

Potatoes we're refreshing and unique. They are well seasoned with some nice onions and peppers. Delicious potatoes and different from any other brunch restaurants. I took the sandwich déjeuner in a croissant and it was excellent. Bacon was just enough crispy and not too fat. Will come again for sure

This is a very good place to eat. Friendly staff, good food and coffee. Not crazy expensive but as all others restaurants now, the tip starts at 18%. Not just this restaurants problem.

I loved the grilled cheese smoked sandwich-- Was not dry, not with the mushrooms inside and the melted cheese. Portioning is always the first thing that catches my eye--and it was kinda upsetting. U guys make the call 👀🤔🧐. And my sister liked the pancakes a lot.

Nice local restaurant for breakfast. The portion is very big. We barely eat half of the plate.

The service was fine but it was so loud in there you couldn't barely hear the people you we with. I ordered the waffle grilled cheese, and it was not very warm when I got my plate. Even the cheese wasn't melted. Definitely not rushing to go back.

We went solely on the high reviews, knowing nothing of the menu/venue. First impressions was that place was rather small and the decor reminded us of seaside bars in the Caribbean or South America. I ordered the Portuguese Breakfast and my wife had the Mexican Crêpe. We were absolutely blown away by the food - it's truly fantastic and the servings were plentiful. We still managed to clean off our plates. We would absolutely recommend this restaurant and will definitely return to try other items. It's also worth noting that my meal was served with what I think was homemade chipotle sauce - whatever it was, it was dang good!

Adorable little spot with lots of personality and charm. Very cozy! Feels like you’re having breakfast at your friends house. Excellent service by William: he’s quick, funny and knows how to help an indecisive customer. The food is amazing. I had the classic omelette with chorizo and it’s probably the best omelette I’ve ever had. There was a bit of waiting time, but they’re very organized by using Yelp Waitlist. Great experience overall and will definitely come back :)

Mega slow service but food was good. Better tasting than other touristy places. Not a lot of options. Mainly sandwich and crepe. Not worth a detour but good if you’re in the area. Sitting under a black tented patio was extra HOT!

I really thought brunch here was amazing. I had coffee, a fresh juice, and egg tart and the vegetarian crepe. Everything was awesome. It’s the best egg tart I’ve had outside of Portugal. The waiter told me they have them brought in from a bakery in Ontario. It was warm inside in August as there is no AC but outside seating is cute.

We had a great mid-afternoon hang at Chez José. They were gracious to accommodate our large party of 6, but it is a very small place and we felt bad. They assured us all was well and treated very kindly with loving vibes. The food was excellent. Crepes, Portuguese stew, full Portuguese breakfast, pastel de nata (as good or better than Lisbon's ...). All excellent! Highly recommend!
