Southern restaurant (US)
Breakfast restaurant
Restaurant
Fat's Chicken and Waffles is a small, stylish cafe that has been serving up Southern favorites such as chicken & waffles and catfish & greens for a few years. The restaurant was opened by the same person behind Lil Woody's, one of Seattle's best burger spots. They offer a variety of delicious brunch options including biscuit sandwiches, egg Benedict with fried green tomato, pimento cheese BLT, shrimp and grits, and beignets.
Finally got out to try brunch. Loved everything! Honey Biscuit & Chicken Sandwich, Bloody Mary, Fried Chicken Bowl, Catfish, Beignets. So delish. Great music, atmosphere. Service was amazing. Definitely coming back.
Julie P — Google review
We went for a late lunch on Sat. The restaurant was full but the wait was minimal. I had the shrimp and grits plus a side of catfish. The catfish was really good, crispy and light. I found the shrimp and grits a bit heavy and the gravy monotonous but hubby really liked it. He had the benedict (so so) with biscuit (nice and crunchy on the outside and pillowy buttery soft on the side). My sweet tea was really light and smooth. I would definitely go back for the catfish and biscuits and try more stuff on the menu. Great southern diner ambience. The service was a bit spotty because only one guy was really hustling. The ladies were chatting VERY loudly to each other most of the time so we had to flag them down to order and get served. They were a bit hot and cold.

I had this place on my list for over a month before visiting Seattle. Did NOT disappoint!! The owner and staff are absolutely incredible. The food…. My goodness, truly something special going on in that kitchen!! The breakfast sandwich was absolutely mouth watering. Wife and I would have to say the honey butter smothered brisket with the crispy chicken was the best we’ve ever had! The drinks bloody mary and mimosas definitely hit the spot. And when the first thing to hit the table was these beignets, you know it’s about to be an experience!

Congratulations on their 10 year anniversary! We were recommended this local Black owned restaurant and they did not disappoint. It was my partners first time trying chicken and waffles and the flavours were so good we’re still thinking about it. Take advantage of their happy hour deals on the food and 2 for $5 beers! The staff were so friendly, we would come back just to talk to them. Hopefully we’re back soon :)
Valeria M — Google review
Some of the best brunch I’ve ever had. Everything was amazing in a casual setting. Tasted fresh and authentic, cool place with great costumer service. Make sure you try one of their cocktails too, they’re definitely not shy with the liquor. Next time I’m in Seattle, definitely will be my first stop. Highly recommend, but come with a big appetite.
Luna — Google review
This place should be on everyone’s food map in Seattle (if you have one)! We came in around 5:20 pm, so we were able to be seated pretty quickly (group of 4), which was a relief considering we expected to wait a while to get a table. While we waited for our food, we saw the place fill up pretty quickly, so we were excited about the stuff we ordered. As the people who came before us started getting served and we could see the portions and looks of the items, our excitement was through the roof. We ended up ordering the Fat’s Sampler, Seafood Sampler, and Chicken and Waffles. This has to be some of the best fried chicken I’ve ever had! Perfectly crisp on the outside and juicy on the inside. Their Honey Buttered Biscuit is totally worth the hype too, has to be one of the best Biscuits I’ve ever had. Overall, the food experience lived up to our expectations and we will definitely be back for some more! Service can get slow when the place gets super busy, but that’s okay because we found the wait to be totally worth it. The staff here tries to create a homely, welcoming, and warm atmosphere, which is something that missing in many other “popular” food places around the city. Seeing the staff interact with our tables and others definitely brought smiles to our faces :) Overall, I’d give this place an 11/10 and highly recommend it, even if there’s a bit of a wait involved!
Siddhanth P — Google review
We went here with friends, not expecting they would have much for us as vegetarians, but they were super amenable. Not only did they have good options on the normal menu, but our friend recommended the BLT so we got that and they substituted the bacon with fried green tomato. The sandwich felt fresh and flavorful and worked well with the hot suaces they had. It took a bit to come out but that is because they make everything there so it takes time. Worth the wait. They are also super friendly as well. I think they could single handedly break the seattle freeze if given the chance. Overall a great spot for a southern bite which is not something you would find in seattle elsewhere
Conner J — Google review
I had a very pleasant experience. The food was AMAZING!! Cooked to order - hot and fresh - full of flavor and nice portions. The place was very welcoming with nice Afrobeats, Amapiano, and R&B style music playing. It was very clean and smelled nice. The owners, Erika and Erika were incredible. The two joked with me about how I was in my own world just eating & dancing while awaiting my food, I told them how I just moved to the area from California and Erika told me about some great events to meet new people and have fun. She even went as far as sharing Instagram pages for local DJs and event promoters so I’d know good spots to hand out. Overall I had a 10/10 experience, I’ll definitely be back!

Belgian restaurant
Espresso bar
Located in the Central Business District, Sweet Iron is a popular breakfast and brunch spot known for its authentic Liege-style waffles and Stumptown espresso drinks. The cozy counter-serve space offers a variety of sweet and savory waffle options, including Classic Powdered Sugar, Chocolate Dipped, Reeses Peanut Butter, Triple Berry Compote, and Nutella + Strawberries. Customers can expect friendly service and quick ordering at the counter.
Fantastic breakfast experience! We were in a hurry and thankfully quickly found an open parking space not too far away (there is no parking lot). Ordering at the counter was fast and easy, staff was friendly and helpful. Seating is limited but at 2 pm on a Sunday, it was not very busy and we did not have a wait. Per staff recommendations, we tried the Basil Brie Bacon savory waffle and the Speculoos sweet waffle with strawberries added. Both were excellent, we ordered another one to go for family and we'll definitely be back (and looking for the Trader Joe's cookie butter that's on the Speculoos— amazing!).
Mariam G — Google review
Went there one time and don’t think will go again. Not friendly staff. No service. I also expect facing customer, service food staff very on top of hygiene...Place is expected to open at 7am per website and per note on the door but had to wait past 7am (in the morning cold) for them to open at around 7:15am. Location: downtown Seattle, on 3rd, in front of the light rail. Convenient as central Was disappointed by the waffle, no taste, this is not the Belgium waffle at all.
Mayu M — Google review
The waffle batter is so good here! It's made with pearl sugar which holds form after baking so you can taste the sugar crystals. I tried the savory flavored waffles; the Brie bacon basil, proscuitto green onion waffles are super satisfying. This place is pretty quaint inside but the staff is friendly and the vibes are good.
Lauren C — Google review
Berry compote waffle had a perfect mixture of fruit and taste. Waffle batter made from brioche. Had the 8 ounce Latte which was perfectly created. Small seating area but keeps moving.
Berton D — Google review
Love all the waffles we ordered, especially the Prosciutto, crème fraiche & green onions one. This is the first time that I have a savory waffle, and it totally blows me away, changed my views completely. Waffle could have more flavors than just sweet!
Lin Y — Google review
Great little place to get fantastic waffles. Great variety for both the sweet and savory selections. A good unique place to get some food and some coffee.
Alise B — Google review
I LOVE this place! Fair warning the location on 3rd is tiny (I believe the sign says there's seating for 12) BUT don't let that dissuade you from coming in. I don't think there's anything on the menu that isn't good. The prices are great and the portions are great. If you haven't tried it you should..... You WON'T be disappointed. (Pictured are the berry compote and the strawberries and cream)
Jada B — Google review
Mmmmh... Delicious authentic homemade waffles! I had one with strawberries, Nutella and whipped cream and it was great. The staff is very friendly and helpful, however even though they weren't too busy, no one came around the counter to clean the tables or rearrange the chairs. I paid around 14 dollars for the waffle and a small mocha which is quite a lot but it was worth it.

Diner

Brunch restaurant
Nestled in a charming pastel building on East Olive Way, Glo's is a beloved diner that has been serving the Capitol Hill community since 1987. This cozy spot is famous for its all-day breakfast and late-night weekend hours, making it a go-to destination for brunch enthusiasts. The star of the menu is undoubtedly their Eggs Benedict, available in five delightful variations including options with spinach and smoked salmon.
Had a great time and wonderful food at Glo's. I know some people are nostalgic for the old location but the 2 hour waits on the weekends were getting old, frankly, and the new place is bright and airy. The food is sooo good. Stuffed french toast, lemon poppyseed pancakes and an scrambled egg dish called The Nicholas were all fantastic. The wait staff is friendly but service can be a bit slow during busy times. Nonetheless, go to Glo's. You won't regret it.
Laszlo V — Google review
They said the wait for a table would be 45m to 1hr 15m. They ended up seating us within a couple minutes so that was nice! Service was good and timely. The food was alright. I wasn’t expecting cold hollandaise on the eggs benedict so that threw me off, but maybe that’s just typically how they make it there. When we ordered biscuits and sausage gravy we were expecting it to be your average American diner biscuits and gravy but it was definitely different in taste and appearance. Still tasty though. I also got a hot vanilla oat milk latte and it was very good. Would probably come back just to try some other menu items.
Maddi E — Google review
While in Seattle we were looking for a really good breakfast spot, when we found Glo's. The decor is reminiscent of mid century modern and the staff are all very friendly and warm. I ordered the black bean omelette and my wife got the pancake. If you are looking for a small bite to eat, be prepared to take home a lot of food because the portions are large. I've never eaten an omelette with Black Bean chili in it, but I hope it's not the last time. It was nothing short of delicious, as was the pancake. The hash browns come served in a mound and are next level delicious.
Paul M — Google review
Went here near closing time, the atmosphere is very vintage which is cute juxtaposed in the Cal Anderson Park area. Service was fine. Got at least a check in on how we were doing at the very end (as I was writing this review) but not from our assigned server. So I'll be a bit understanding but I've also worked a ton in food so it's still unfortunate. We ordered the Eggs Benedict (I tried the hash browns but not the eggs Bennie. I'm not a hash brown guy so I'll give it a 6/10 but again, not my thing. I myself ordered the Belgian Waffle and Lox Bagel. The latter was a surprise to see something so East Coast out here! Lox Bagel had PLENTY of Salmon so it actually can justify the price and it was brined well. Capers, tomato, and onion all standard affair. Bagel is fine. 7/10. The Belgian Waffle was also pretty good and the whipped cream and butter with strawberries made it pretty tasty! 7/10. The price though of all three of these things came up to $67 before tip! Very expensive! Got no coffee or anything else. That combined with non-existent service (not good or bad) means I can't really justify the value proposition even with it tasting good to something to return to regularly. Overall, 6/10⭐
Nicola K — Google review
When I went there was a short wait. Glo’s is a solid diner food spot. Not much to rave over. The service was great! The pancake batter was delicious— I enjoyed that out of everything else. Omelet was pretty good. Tad bit salty but okay. The hash browns were good. I would say they offer great food portions! So, you are getting your money’s worth. Recommend if you’re in the area.
K L — Google review
Pros: the hasbrowns were good and well seasoned, the Bloody Mary had a unique flavor and nice to have a little bacon slice along with it. We both thought the food was pretty decent. Cons: Yes it was Sunday morning but we waited over an hour for a table. We were okay with that, but then the food came out super slow too. The mimosa you get for $9 might as well have been in a Dixie cup it was so small. The omelet didn’t really seem like an omelet, just a scramble that they folded into shape. I like my omelet to just be egg and the ingredients stuffed on the inside, but this was all mixed together. Overall: it’s good but considering the wait time and plentiful option in Seattle, I think this was a one time affair.
Caitlin C — Google review
Cannot say enough good things about this place.. Was never a fan of hashbrowns ever but THIS PLACE MAKES THE MOST DELICIOUS HASHBROWNS EVER !! Not kidding.. Oh what delightful and tasty breakfast and brunch options and such warm service.. The staff was SO kind, sweet and nice… Came here multiple times, and tried several breakfast and brunch options that were eggs and bread centric.. ALL FANTASTIC !! The coffee is SPOT ON !! Mos def a place to come back over and over again….
Kishi M — Google review
I read an article that this is the best brunch spot and Seattle. While I didnt visit all brunch spots to know for sure, this place did not disappoint. The salmon scramble was absolutely delicious. There was an hour wait which sucks, but hey, when you're the best, that's to be expected on a Saturday morning. The only issue...albeit, very, very minor...they have a 2 drink max. I get it, you want to be able to get people in and out efficiently. Sometimes bottomless mimosas is the way to go...especially when their are visitors from out of town. Superb brunch.

Breakfast restaurant
Morsel is a cozy cafe located in the University District of Seattle, offering a relaxed atmosphere with comfortable sofas and quiet corners. It's known for its gourmet coffee and craft biscuit sandwiches, making it an ideal spot for a quick brunch without the need to wait in line or sit down. The grab-and-go concept allows patrons to enjoy fluffy biscuits with various jams on the side or opt for more filling breakfast sandwiches paired with quality coffee options.
We came here on a Sunday morning around 9 am. It was not busy at all which I find crazy because the biscuits and breakfast sandwiches are delicious. We were a party of 4 adults and 2 toddlers - everyone loved what they ordered. I cannot recommend the honey fig spread enough. The tomato jam on the Fast Break was the perfect balance between sweet and savory. And don’t miss out on the salty caramel latte! The caramel is made in-house and isn’t overly sweet. The staff is friendly and very welcoming of kids. Highly recommend!
Alice L — Google review
THE BEST BISCUITS with the best flavors!!! I was so thrilled they had a chicken gravy as an alternative to pork, the coffee was so well made and presented, the vibes of every server and cook was upbeat, fun, and knew how to infuse kindness into the food. I’ll always crave this comfort food and sweet place to fuel up!
Kira H — Google review
Incredible biscuits! It’s a perfect combination of soft & crunchy and sweet & salty. The presentation was grand and these sandwiches are definitely a fork-eating situation. Coffee drinks were top notch. They make REAL 6oz cappuccinos!
Amanda N — Google review
I’ve been wanting to try morsel for months now and I finally rode my bike there and had a delightful experience. The biscuit was on point! Flaky in the way that makes you pause and appreciate layers. It was warm, lightly golden, and the chives went together well with the bacon and egg. And then there’s the tomato jam!!! I love me some tomato jam so this is why I opted for the “Fast Break” sammie. It’s just sweet enough to lift the biscuit, tangy enough to keep things interesting. I wanted a pile of that tomato jam on my plate honestly. Like my other reviews I dig my sauces!!!! I’ll be back. It was very filling and I didn’t even need to eat for the rest of the day! The workers were kind and upbeat and very welcoming once you walked in the door. Interesting decor inside too! Good vibes!
Holly — Google review
I am baffled by the high ratings here, but the bar is quite low for Seattle breakfast cuisine. You are met with a terribly thought out design upon entry with the order counter 3 feet away, pushing customers onto the sidewalk. The prices are astounding even for U district where restaurants prey on the disposable income of the students. A plain biscuit with jam costs $6. One biscuit. A single espresso is $4. They have the audacity to ask for a tip, up-front, in an establishment that makes you pick up your food/coffee and bus your own table. The biscuit itself is decent but that's not saying much given the weak competition. A bit too long in the oven. There are signs it is made from scratch but other signs that point to a premade scenario. Overall it works for a quick bite but nothing memorable here and clearly the status quo for owners with tipping shenanigans.
Kurt P — Google review
Overall rating: 4.7 A bit of a travel if you’re coming from the city. Visiting from the east coast, gives a bit more college energy than I was expecting. Cheddar chive biscuit The fast break Food was very filling, but almost wish there were recommended options. It’s hard to choose!
Olivia N — Google review
Take it from someone who grew up in the South, if you have been searching for a REAL Southern- style buttermilk biscuit, not a drop style, but tall, tender, flaky, not over-overbaked, with a slight crisp on the outside, and the perfect not- too-moist, not-too- dry crumb… MORSEL IS IT!! I got the Fast Break which is bacon egg and cheese with tomato jam on a buttermilk biscuit. It comes with the most delicious, savory, tangy, sweet, tomato jam, thick cut bacon, and folded egg that is actually seasoned, and melted cheddar cheese that has dripped over the edge and gotten slightly crisp. When I tell you, it’s all my favorite things in one sandwich, I am not kidding! You can tell everything is made from scratch and with love here. I will definitely be back.

Hi-Spot Cafe is a cheerful house-turned-diner in Madrona, serving a variety of breakfast and lunch combos. It has been a neighborhood standby for almost 30 years. The cafe offers a cozy atmosphere with both indoor and outdoor seating options. Customers can enjoy their coffee at the coffee bar downstairs while waiting for a table. The menu features popular items like green eggs & ham, Mexi-Fries, and the goat cheese-chicken sausage scramble known as the Round-Up.
Fantastic old building. Charming, quaint and chock full of great people that work there. Food was prompt and the service was much more friendly than I am used to in Seattle. Great for coffee dates, breakfast and families.

Hi-Spot Cafe is an absolute gem. The breakfast is excellent—hearty, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The whole place has a cozy, charming vibe that makes you feel like you’re enjoying breakfast at your grandparents’ house out in the countryside. There’s a genuine charisma to the space that’s hard to find these days. A little cleanup and some light maintenance would really make it shine and push it to a 5-star experience. Still, it’s a spot I’d happily return to.

A unique spot for breakfast and brunch which we really enjoyed. The food we had was absolutely delicious - we tried the breakfast tacos and the corned beef hash which were amazing. The staff were super friendly and the prices were very reasonable. Clearly a popular spot so we had to wait a little for a table but well worth the wait!
Tom B — Google review
Interesting as when you walk in it doesnt look like a big restaurant. It's just a cafe at the entrance. Turns out there's an entire labyrinth of tables in the back. Food is good, fresh ingredients. I ordered the French toast which had real fruit and maple syrup. Americano was awesome! Service was great! I'd go back or if you're in the area make the trip!
Mitchell S — Google review
We got the salmon omlette, corned hash beef & bacon. Everything tasted great & good service too. Especially thick cut bacon which is hard to find in many diners! The only thing that sucks a bit is there can be a bit of wait but not way to check your position in the line so you gotta keep coming in and checking.
Saravanan S — Google review
We were looking for a brunch spot to take friends and stumbled upon Hi Spot. We put our name in and waited about 20min but it was prime brunch time on a weekend so it was expected. The food was delicious with tons of great options. Everyone had a hard time selecting because they wanted to try so many things. I had the breakfast burrito and it was delicious and huge. The coffee was great and they kept refilling which I love. There is indoor seating and a patio but the patio has a roof and heaters so it's really an all season space. The staff were phenomenal. They were friendly and accommodating and their service stood out. Lots of people are nice and friendly, but the person who helped us just left me with a good feeling and like she was glad we were there.

Thoroughly enjoyed my meal. Portion sizes were very generous. Customer service was okay. The restaurant has a very cozy vibe with a coffee shop downstairs

I have been coming to Hi Spot for years, and have always loved the food and the service here! Unfortunately, I’ve been having some not so great experiences recently including a really concerning experience that have been sitting with me. First off, I’ve been seeing a certain barista more and more in the cafe, I think his name is Michael (mitchell?) who seems to never be in a good mood, who I have now experienced outright hostility from. He acts like my questions and pleasantries are dumb, and has made the experience of getting coffee from hi spot honestly unpleasant. I absolutely understand everyone has bad days and I’m not asking for sunshine and roses, but being cordial is not an unfair ask. Additionally, a couple weeks ago I went in, had my usual sammy Sue, and the 2 waitress serving me were great. However, at one point a man (who I think was the owner/manager?) shouted quite aggressively at one of the servers. It was upsetting and confusing since the waitresses and kitchen crew was managing a busy day well. It was disappointing to see at this Madrona staple! There seems to have been a culture shift since the old owner moved on, and it makes me wonder if maybe the aforementioned unhappy barista man might be that way as a result of management, especially from what I’ve seen. Do better! Treat your workers better! We as customers are feeling it.

B-Side is a cozy spot located within Analog Coffee, offering a limited but carefully curated menu of breakfast and lunch items. The cafe has garnered a loyal following despite its small selection, thanks to its focus on quality and creativity. The menu features modern brunch staples like an egg sandwich, avocado toast with unique toppings, and veg-packed rice bowls. Unlike typical brunch spots that emphasize indulgent dishes, B-Side aims to provide nourishing options such as puffed grains and fermented carrots to restore balance.
The quality of ingredients and craftsmanship in these sandwiches are amazing. This sandwich will melt in your mouth! I suggest going with the spicy. Also depending on when you go there will most likely be a wait to order but shouldn’t be more than 10 minutes.
Ariana C — Google review
When I make it out to b~side and get any of their food, the day starts off phenomenal. Yes, I have had everything on their menu. And I would have it all again and again. But the sandwich, spicy, with mushroom is my go-to. So much so, it's gone before I remember to take a photo. I guess I have to go again now...

Simply impeccable every time! I love everything and can't settle on a favorite. Always love the seasonal frittata. Fresh, flavorful, simple ingredients prepared expertly. Affordable deliciousness. I could eat breakfast here every day.

How lucky were we that our air bnb was right down the street? We happened to grab breakfast here on a Friday and we didn't realize were lucky to have no line. When we went back on Sunday - HUGE LINE! I would say the food and drinks are worth it but I'm glad we didn't have to. Really yummy frittata with side salad and SUPER good but spicy house made hot sauce. The rice bowl was also a warm and nourishing start to the day. This place is charming, reasonably priced and the food is delicious. All the perks and no pretention. What more could you want?

I've traveled all over Asia for months eating the strangest food I could find without any issues. It's been over 24 hours since I ate this, and I can't stop farting... The service is meaningfully slower than the website warns it is.

Really great Egg Sandwich! b~side foods is located within another business (Analog Coffee). They have a pick up window for to-go. If you want to dine-in, you will have to go through Analog Coffee and order there. --- This place is really popular on Saturday morning, but the line moves fast. We were in line for about less than 10 minutes. There were a few spots left for dine-in as it is a shared space with Analog. --- We got the Egg Sandwich (really great) and the Nutella Brioche (good). The spicy version isn't spicy, but has a nice kick to it. --- There was a restroom inside but it was behind a closed area so I'm not sure if people can use it. You can probably ask to be sure. No dedicated parking, and parking in the streets can be hard to find in Cap Hill. --- Definitely going back just for the Egg Sandwich alone. Highly recommend it if you're in the area.

If you are a fan of fermented foods then you must try the rice bowl (with hot sauce). It’s loaded with a bunch of delicious and unique fermented vegetables. The breakfast sandwich also slaps.
Matthew G — Google review
This neighborhood “hole-in-the-wall” eatery is a gem that inspires a happy, friendly, community vibe. Not only are the staff friendly, helpful, and efficient, but the customers are likewise: neighborly, nice, chatty, and happy to be there too. Strong hot coffee, the drip is more espresso-like and it’s a satisfying pick-me-up, while the cold brew packs a rich flavor punch too (highly recommend both beverages with cream & sugar); Quality can be expected because both beverages come from the adjoining coffee bar. The food is equally good; Our brunch consisted of: the Rice Bowl and the Chickpea Salad, both fresh, delicious, and satisfying … Both dishes were well crafted & artfully presented. Next time we will probably order ahead and pick-up; Although we scored one of the 3 patio tables this morning, we might not be as lucky next time. The food is well worth the effort. Food and coffee bar are conveniently located next door to Thomas Market, a neighborhood grocery store that is more than that. But street parking is tight (typical of Capitol Hill) and so walking there is definitely a less complicated way to go - or maybe rent a scooter or e-bike!

Portage Bay Cafe - Roosevelt is a vibrant and popular cafe that offers a bustling atmosphere and serves local, organic, and seasonal breakfast, brunch, and lunch dishes. While it can get busy with long wait times even with reservations, the food remains good with notable items like Swedish pancakes and goat cheese omelet. The menu features plenty of vegetarian options, especially for egg lovers. The migas dish is particularly flavorful and generous in portion size.
At first I was a little put off by the need to have a reservation at a cafe for breakfast. Then WOW now I understand. The atmosphere is a mix between industrial and boho. The staff is friendly and fast. The food is outstanding.

Was looking to catch up with some of my best girl friends over a girly brunch and stumbled upon Portage Bay in the University District. I seriously did not realize how popular this place was--but wow, I get the hype. First tip: MAKE A RESERVATION ON OPENTABLE. I was lucky enough to snag one (bless), and even with a reservation, we waited around 15 minutes to be seated. It was a Sunday brunch, so we expected a bit of chaos, but it still felt overwhelming. There was a line out the door with people waiting outside, the level of noise in the space is quite loud. While waiting for our table or even seated at our table, it was a bit hard to hear one another. This is not the space for a quiet girly brunch for sure. That said--would say the food is 100% worth it. Don't come hungry or hangry as it did take close to an hour for our food to arrive (yes, we were HANGRY), but when it did, the first ten minutes was silence of devouring our meal. Service was okay, the servers seem uninterested to be there, barely checked in - we had to ask about status of our food and get his attention. We ordered the Smoked Salmon Benedict, Seattle Benedict (with Dungeness crab!), 2 Rancher Breakfasts (3 eggs your way, house potatoes, one with chicken sausage + pancake, the other with bacon + French toast). Honestly such a cute idea to do a berry bar, the menu lists items that gives you access to a literal berry buffet--fresh berries, whipped cream, butter... The benedicts were the best menu choice--rich, flavorful, and perfectly portioned. The Rancher Breakfasts were huge and hearty--perfect for anyone rolling in with major hunger. The chicken sausage was flavorful and the potatoes were crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. I am a BIG pancake girly, and their pancakes were giant, fluffy, with the perfect hint of sweetness. I ate my entire meal plus one pancake and still had leftovers for dinner and breakfast the next day. No regrets. The coffee here is just okay. Seattle has no shortage of amazing coffee shops, would recommend saving your caffeine intake for one of those instead--which we did, shoutout Ugly Mug Coffee, which was the move.

Going here for a solo breakfast is a lovely treat. They always serve you fast and the food comes out so quickly. Consistency is everything to me when I go out to eat. I like knowing the it will be as good every time. Potatoes are always cooked to perfection. I had the Avocado toast with poached eggs.

Portage Bay is a chain of cafes in Seattle, the one in U District is pretty solid. The quality of the food is clearly very high, there menu ranges from sandwiches to breakfast stables to seasonal dishes like crepes and such. I personally have been here around 3 times, the environment is very very busy on the weekends, however the service is fast and attentive to whatever your needs are. I dont have a photo of it, but they have a toppings bar with some of the best whipped cream I've had - it also has a plethora of fresh berries. Overall great spot for brunch with the parents, I would recommend getting a reservation before you go for sure.
Wesley G — Google review
I liked the ambience and the food quality. If you order something from berry menu, then one serving of berry farm is complimentary which was cool. I got the banana foster french toast which was very tasty and the portion was also adequate. The place is huge and clean. Parking is a bit of struggle, we ended up doing street parking one block away. There was a wait for 30 minutes. I think our server did not do a good job as he did not let us know about the complimentary berry bar if you order the item from berry menu, we saw it in menu and had to ask him about the same.
Raveena C — Google review
The food was okay but did not match the price. It's $11 for oatmeal and $11 just to access the berries. The eggs benedict was good but a little dry and I don't need to have it again. We did find some mold on raspberries at the berry bar. Raspberries are tough but they're charging for the freshest and not delivering. They have lots of windows, so it feels nice inside, however the parking is limited. I do not plan to return but wouldn't actively avoid the place if my friends invited me to meet there. We had eggs Benedict, pancakes (comes with berry access), and 2 coffees. Somehow we spent $75 after tip.
Jonathan M — Google review
Extremely disappointed with this place and will never order from them again. I placed an online order, but when I arrived for pickup, the food was nowhere to be found — apparently someone else took it or they just forgot to make it. Instead of resolving the issue, the staff simply told us they’d “look into it,” leaving us waiting for over an hour with no updates. The employees showed NO accountability or empathy (I don’t think they care whether we get the food at all), and their lack of cooperation was totally unacceptable. If this restaurant cannot properly handle online pickups and orders, they shouldn’t offer the option at all. Management seriously needs to train the staff better or reconsider their service model altogether.
Zhiyuan Y — Google review
One of the best breakfast restaurants I been. Ordered the Seattle Benedict, not a fan of arugula, but it was fresh and made a great combination with the hollandaise sauce. Pancakes puffy and large. My friend also enjoyed his dish and sausage. Would come again and recommend.

We were seated in the small side room to the right of the entrance. Worked for us! Great lighting and not loud. Our party started with an order of the French donuts (beignets). Considered putting in a second order as it was so yummy but we decided to leave room for our entree. I don't remember what anyone else ordered. I just remember debating whether to go with the chilaquiles or the whiskey shrimp and grits. The chilaquiles won out and were delicious. Looking forward to trying the shrimp and grits next time!

Good brunch spot on capital hill, got my family of 4 in on Mother’s Day rather quickly. Good service, decent coffee. Parking is a bit difficult and the sandwiches a bit messy but overall I’d go again!

Was excited to try this place for Saturday brunch…. it was ALMOST good. Maybe it was an off day. I asked our waitress if the gravy that comes with the breakfast skillet would be provided on the side, and she confirmed that yes, it was. When I received it, portions of the skillet were drenched in gravy… it was wayyy too salty to the point that whatever I ate under the gravy was unpalatable. Was not happy with this, especially after I had specifically asked. :( The stack of pancakes were nice and fluffy though!! So this was a sliver of redemption. The bacon for Your Way was several touches too crisp, it was like eating chips. The chicken for the chicken and waffles was well-seasoned but under fried with a soggy crust, but the cornmeal waffle had an interesting texture; it wasn’t crisp like we were expecting and also borderline soggy, but we ended up deciding it was alright. Just some minor tweaks are needed.
Everlyn Z — Google review
We got the chicken and waffles plate and the chicken sandwich. The chicken has a heavy pepper flavor, almost like that is the only seasoning that they use here, the good side is that the meat was tender. The waffle is a bit lacking in flavor. The jalapeno aoli that comes with the sandwich is unnecessarily spicy, we thankfully got it in the side, but the sandwich needs some moisture so make sure to get something if you order this. The only good side about this place is that the food is very filling.

Super cute space. Staff was friendly. The food was mid. The Cluck Chub was decent. The Breakfast Skillet was 👎. It was super pricey given the food quality. The portions were great but didn’t out way the quality.

A diner like setting with ok food. I found the sizing of the portion to be large which is nice. But the taste of the food was too salty They give a 10% discount for a 5 star review on yelp, so if you look at the reviews on that platform take them with a grain of salt

Nestled in the heart of Columbia City, Geraldine's Counter Restaurant is a vibrant all-day American diner that captures the essence of comfort food. This beloved breakfast destination invites you to indulge in classic dishes like perfectly cooked French toast and fluffy pancakes infused with a hint of orange zest. The inviting atmosphere, adorned with colorful booths and charming movie posters, creates an ideal backdrop for families and friends alike.
Wow, best brunch that I’ve had in a long time! We did have to wait for around 30 minutes to get a table (factor this in potentially if you’re trying to visit around brunch hours), but there’s plenty to do/see in the immediate area! Food was excellent! Highly recommend the spinach feta omelette (I added pesto), and the biscuits! It’s hard to find a proper biscuit out of the south in my opinion but these were spot on. Portion sizes were large and good value for the price, service was attentive, and the vibe was cute—sort of a rustic diner feel. Would definitely come back! Other members in my party ordered the pesto scrambled eggs, the omelet special of the day, and the casserole. All were tasty!

This was the best breakfast I’ve had since I’ve been here. The coconut pancakes and the French toast with blue berry compote were amazing. We wish we found this place sooner, I would have been happy to have breakfast here daily. Our whole family will return next April and we will be sure to have breakfast here more than once. I’m so happy to have had the chance to eat here. Thank you.

Like a flashback from the early 2000s, this place took me by surprise. What a celebration of flavors and textures! At a glance, the dishes may seem simple, but they are perfected down to every ingredient. Pictures won’t do it justice. Having grown up in the southeast, these are the meals I grew up on, but better. These aren’t your grandmas French toast. They are the ideal version she always wishes it to be. Do yourself a favor, and take your whole family here. Expect a wait, but know it will be worth it. The staff are honest, pleasant, wholesome and the food is of the highest quality. Love!!!

I’ve been coming to Geraldine’s Counter for over 15 years, and the food is as consistent and comforting as ever. Their special today, sour cream pancakes with blueberry butter was out of this world… fluffy, slightly tangy, and perfectly balanced with the sweet butter. The sourdough toast with jam is also a must, thick cut, toasted just right, and paired with the best jam I’ve ever had. You can truly taste the love and care in everything they serve. Be prepared for a bit of a wait, especially during peak hours but it’s always worth it. The staff are kind, the portions are generous, and the vibe is cozy and welcoming. A true neighborhood gem.

Tried their spinach feta cheese omelette which was great and basil pesto scramble which was exceptional, very different concept. It was delicious and fresh. They make their own raspberry jelly to give with the toast which was very fresh. Robert, our server was very warm and welcoming and explained the menu really well as this was our first visit to Geraldine’s. Would definitely come back to try other things on the menu.

Great brunch-lunch restaurant with a large variety of dishes. High quality & delicious classic dishes. The highlight was the French toast. The salad was also huge and great. Mostly recommended for brunch in my opinion :)
Michal C — Google review
When my brother suggested we go to Geraldine's Counter for a late lunch, I was quite hesitant. It was 1:50pm and we were in North Seattle. The place closes at 3pm and it was Memorial Day, so I was worried that we would not get served so close to closing time. My brother told me it was worth the try, and that I would like it. He was not wrong. We split a half order of the French toast, I ordered the casserole, and he had the chicken fried steak. With coffee, a lemonade, and a side of bacon, the bill was not cheap, but yes, I would say it was worth it! The food was excellent, well presented, and the staff were extremely friendly, despite our late arrival. Columbia City is a little far to go for a meal, but I would definitely do it again.

Volunteer Park Cafe & Pantry is a charming eatery located in an old storefront, offering classic American comfort food for breakfast and lunch. Situated in the heart of Capitol Hill, it provides a cozy and welcoming atmosphere where visitors can enjoy a leisurely meal. The cafe is known for its delectable breakfast sandwiches, ethereal scones, and decadent cookies. Guests can also indulge in excellent coffee while soaking up the warm and inviting ambiance.
This lovely space was busy for a reason! Visited late morning around 10:45 for a lazy Saturday breakfast for a "dilly dally" day. The line moves fast thanks to their darling staff. It's hard to explain but the space is so feminine casual and inviting. Good seating inside and out without packing the place. Sprinkled around the room and running through the center are a smattering of crafts and goods to purchase. They have some beautifully uniquely flavor bakery items, delicious hot and cold drinks, and a few breakfast and lunch items. It's a perfect small, specialty menu. At the back of the store are fresh breads and a large cooler of varietal drinks. Such a beautiful space that feels like a part of the local community!

A nice little coffee shop/cafe in the neighborhood north of downtown Seattle. The two drinks we ordered were both tasty, and we also enjoyed the chocolate chip cookie with cherries along with the yummy carrot cake. This place has limited seating inside and unfortunately all tables were being used by people no longer eating or drinking but working on their laptops. Unfortunately this is allowed and means no seating for new paying customers.

Found this gem while completing a neighborhood stroll. Such a quaint place. In the middle of a residential area, tree lined streets. Street parking. Limited tables. Coffee, pastry’s, etc. pet and kid friendly. Lines might be long and tables go fast.

I like this cafe mostly bc it’s the closet cafe to the park. The food is Ok; not amazing but at least it’s not too heavy and the beet hummus had a nice garlicky flavor. The portions are on the small side. Seating is limited so prepare to wait for 15-30 min. for a table. They haven’t implemented a time limit on tables which they should given how popular it is on weekends during the summer. Overall, this is a decent cafe if you’re looking to grab a small healthy bite before heading to the park.

The breakfast sandwich was absolutely delicious — it really lived up to its reputation. I especially loved the crispy bits of bacon mixed in; they added such a nice crunch. The egg was soft and moist, and of course, the bread was great too. For dessert, I ordered a banana muffin, a mini crumble pie, and a chocolate cake — all of them were amazing, but the chocolate cake stood out the most. It was rich and fudgy without being too heavy, and it paired perfectly with the cappuccino I ordered. The cappuccino was smooth and nutty, and my friend keeps saying we should go back again just for that chocolate cake!

We lucked out finding this place after visiting the Asian Art Museum in a charming area of the Capitol Hill section of Seattle. The cafe is small and homey with welcoming staff. Although the menu is limited (breakfast/lunch), the food is inventive, homemade and delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed the avocado toast with Za'star, mushroom soup and potato topped bread. This is a must come back to place for us!

Ludi's Restaurant is a no-fuss diner that serves breakfast favorites all day, along with other classic dishes. The restaurant offers quick and easy ordering, where customers place their orders before being seated and pay at their table after dining. The new location has received positive feedback for maintaining the beloved aspects of the original spot while receiving a welcomed update. Despite some initial confusion due to its proximity to the old location, patrons appreciate the slightly larger space in a cooler area.
Ludi’s is hands down one of the best spots in Seattle! The food is incredible — full of flavor, comforting, and truly one of a kind. You honestly can’t find anything like this anywhere else in the city. What makes the experience even better is the service. The entire staff is friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The owner himself goes above and beyond — he personally walks around to check on every table, making sure everyone’s enjoying their meal. You can really feel how much he cares about each customer, and that kind of genuine hospitality is so rare these days. Yes, there might be about an hour wait, but it’s totally worth it. Once you take your first bite, you’ll understand why everyone keeps coming back. Ludi’s is a true Seattle gem — amazing food, warm service, and a passionate owner who makes every visit special.

Pre-warning before you dive into this review: I went to this spot with every intention of trying a traditional Filipino breakfast… and then totally caved and ordered French toast instead. Shame on me—I know. That said, the experience was still a good one. The service was friendly and efficient, and the basic breakfast I had (French toast, eggs, and sausage) was solid. Definitely hit the spot, even if it wasn’t what I should have been ordering. I actually came here on the recommendation of a trusted food-loving friend who did go the traditional route. They had the classic Filipino breakfast and gave it two thumbs up—so next time, I’ll do it right and embrace the culture a bit more. A few things to keep in mind before you go: You walk in, order at the hostess both, pay, and then you’ll be seated—usually pretty quickly, depending on how busy it is. I didn’t wait long at all, but I can imagine it getting crowded during peak times, so just be prepared for a bit of a wait if you're going on a weekend or with a larger group. Overall, good vibes and good food. I’m definitely coming back to try the real deal next time.

Hands down, one of the best breakfast spots I've ever been to. My husband says that the ube pancakes changed his life. And this went down as my death row meal. being Filipino, this felt like a home away from home with the combo meal. The rice was perfectly cooked, the sausages were delicious, lumpia amazing, loved the addition of the melon as a side. We also got POG and the butter mochi which was also SO good. I make mochi probably once a month and it does not even kinda compare to what we had at Ludi’s! Service was great, the line was well worth it, it felt like having a bunch of Filipino grandpas walking around checking up on us. Amazing experience!

This is the first time I have eaten here, and I can not wait to go back. From what I have heard my wife and I got lucky. We did not have to wait for a table. I had the loco mocco and it was delicious. The food came quick and the staff was very nice. I have heard this place can have along wait at times. When you walk in you do order and pay before they seat you so it's good to look at the menu ahead of time so you know what you want once you get to the front.

This is hands down the best restaurant in town! The owner Tito Greg is the most hospitable, humble,Super kind and friendly person we’ve ever met, and the staff are just as warm and welcoming. The food is authentic Filipino cuisine—flavorful, comforting, and absolutely delicious. The ambiance truly reminds me of home in the Philippines. A must-visit for anyone craving great food and genuine hospitality. 100% food quality!! Highly recommended and will always go back even though we are 1hr far from the area.

Ludi’s absolutely blew me away. Even while waiting in line on a chilly morning, they handed out hot chocolate to everyone—such a thoughtful touch that set the tone for the whole visit. The food, the vibe, the history, the hype… it’s all real, and it’s all incredible. The owner even came by to chat, we took a photo together, and gave me his number so we could stay in touch. That level of warmth and hospitality is rare, and it made my day unforgettable. I can’t recommend Ludi’s enough—this is a must-visit spot in Seattle. Just wow. Thank you!

Waiting in line is totally worth it! I love the fact that you had to order right away before getting seated to ease the process. We went on a Friday. My partner ordered the tocino-silog and I ordered the combo-silog with a side of bangus sisig and calamansi juice. It was THE BOMB! Whenever I dance in my seat is when I genuinely love the food and I rarely do that. I love the fact that everyone is so friendly and Tito Greg gave us lumpia and bibingka on the house to try! What an awesome guy! My favorite was the fact that the food were not overly seasoned because they have so many sauces to choose from to enhance the flavor profile. If we lived in Seattle, we'd go here every time. Until next time Ludis! We appreciate the amazing experience!!!

Ludi's was the best breakfast my husband and I had in our week in Seattle! Was so delicious we went 3 times--and I would absolutely go back. As a Filipina living in NYC it has been so tough finding authentic Filipino food in any area so visiting ludi's in Seattle was an absolute treat. The lumpia was as yummy as what my grandma used to make and the atmosphere and staff were so cozy and welcoming! The ube pancakes were absolutely to die for and I am going to be dreaming about them until we come back. Definitely make sure to get there early--they don't take reservations and there is almost always a line. The line moves super fast though and the food is beyond worth the wait and at a very reasonable price so you won't be disappointed! I cannot recommend enough. Also hot tip--go Fri-Sun (those are the only dates you can get the ube pancakes and I promise you want them!).

Seattle Biscuit Company is a cozy, Southern-inspired eatery that specializes in serving up delicious biscuits alongside coffee and cocktails. The owners, Sam Thompson and David Hanson, are dedicated to bringing the tradition of buttery biscuits to Seattle while prioritizing locally sourced ingredients. Their menu features a variety of biscuit sandwiches made with fluffy biscuits that have gained popularity from their food truck.
Easy 5 stars. Seattle Biscuit Company serves up one of the most delicious breakfasts I’ve had in a long time. You might think, “Biscuits alone won’t fill me up,” but trust me, this place will! The biscuits are thick, hearty, and somehow not dry at all. The combo of bacon, eggs, and jam sounds unexpected but works so well. And the real star of the show? THE GRAVY. Do not skip it! We went on a Sunday morning and were seated at the bar—it's a small spot, so be prepared to wait a bit or grab it to go. Totally worth it. Highly recommend!

I wanted to love this place but …… I didn’t. Let me explain, the prices are a bit high but the portions are HUGE & you could share a sandwich, if you wanted too! I ordered the Willie Lee & husband ordered the Gus. The Willie Lee was super salty …. The bacon and egg had a Cajun seasoning not sure if that was the underlying issue but it was so salty that I pulled out all of the meat and egg and only ate the biscuit with jam. (I would have liked to see the jam on the side, so I have control of how much I want to add) The Gus was huge but also $26 ….. the gravy had the same Cajun seasoning as well as the egg and was super salty. Hubby ate what he could but didn’t finish it either. The GRITS were the star of the show … I’m a southern girl and these grits were 🔥🔥🔥! If I come back it would totally be for the grits and maybe a plain biscuit on the side.

There were a lot of biscuit-sandwich based options I could've went with here, but I decided to go with the biscuits and gravy - or the Big Al as it's known I don't know who Al is, but I know why they call it Big. The size of this thing is monstrous. I couldn't even see the biscuits under that mountain of gravy, but I'm convinced that either there's more than two, or these are the two biggest biscuits I've ever seen, because I kept on eating and more and more of the biscuit kept on reappearing underneath the gravy. It felt like it was never ending. I was able to finish about 85% of the meal before calling it. The biscuits were pretty solid, although I have to say I was expecting a little better. There was a great crust on the outside, and the inside was pretty soft, but I thought they felt a little dry - especially on the parts not covered by the gravy. Like it felt like I needed gravy in order to eat this, which I don't think a great biscuit should require. I get that other biscuits would have butter/jam/whatever else, and this one has gravy in place of that, but I would say I've had better biscuits elsewhere The gravy, though, is where this shines. It's warm, comforting, and so flavorful. There's large chunks of pork sausage throughout, and that cottage-cheese like texture is practically perfect. I could eat the gravy by itself - biscuits can be optional - it was that good. The egg was also a nice touch, but due to the size of the gravy, it was only able to mix with a small portion. As I mentioned, the portion size is pretty massive. It's slightly on the expensive side, coming out to $18.5 in total, but since you could easily share this with two people it's not bad. Overall, I can't say it's the best biscuits I've had, but definitely the best gravy. 8.25/10

Nice, clean establishment. Nice and big and delicious biscuits. Nice variety of options to go with biscuits. Good coffee in good sized mugs. I liked the apple butter on my biscuit. Had the pulled pork with greens and grits. I prefer rice vinegar on my greens, but what they had was just fine. My companion had biscuit and gravy, which I'll try on my next visit, I'm told it was spicy. 😊 overall a pleasant experience.

I had my best meal in Seattle at Seattle Biscuit Company. The service is excellent, few young ladies are warm and kind. The food is impeccable. I ordered Willie Lee, it is so good that I really need to come back here before I leave Seattle.

Great breakfast spot in Fremont! Biscuits were delicious and the peach-habanero jam was yummy. The interior has a nice vintage look and was super comfortable. We sat right up at the bar and got to watch our food be prepared. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a breakfast spot in Seattle!

Seattle Biscuit Company nails it! Massive portions, flaky biscuits that could win awards, and Southern comfort done right with collard greens and cheesy grits. The coffee’s legit too. Come hungry, leave happy, possibly in a biscuit coma. Five stars, no notes.

Randomly decided to walk into The Moo Bar and picked up Thai Iced Tea with boba! We were surprised to receive our drink in the cute mason jar that we could take home with us! Our drink was delish and we enjoyed the experience 😋☺️

An amazing place to get all types of desserts and drinks. Everything that I ordered was perfect, not too sweet and lots of flavor. The place was so good that I didn’t really have a favorite, the drinks are so pretty looking especially their new Labubu drink. Their Dubai series was unique and very good too. Overall, super friendly service, I highly recommend and would come back.

What a lovely little cafe! The staff is very nice and very help, and the place very clean. Although the cafe is small, the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming with cute decor and natural lighting. All of the teas and desserts I have tried so far have been cheerily colorful and very delicious. It’s so great that most their teas are available with dairy-free milk. This time I got the seasonal iced blueberry (ceremonial) matcha with oat milk and no sweetener, which was a delightful balance of flavor and very refreshing on my walk home. When you order in person and bring in your own bottle/jar from a previous visit, make sure to tell a barista BEFORE to get a 10% off discount code. Make sure to check out their menu ahead of time, since it might be hard to choose quickly from the large list of offerings, especially with the numerous seasonal items that rotate through. Ordering is super easy from solitary ordering kiosk, but a line can quickly form if someone doesn’t know exactly what they want or get distracted by all of the cuteness. If you like, you can also make an order online for pickup. All the anime and corgi themed reusable bottles (lidded canning jars) are absolutely adorable. AND you can choose from wide range of designs or pick the design of the day as well as pick up a stainless steel boba straw. There’s also a ton of other cute corgi and anime themed merchandise available, too, like shirts, sweatshirts, mats, keychains, and stickers, which you can also order online and have shipped to you.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ If you’re in Seattle and craving something cute and delicious—RUN to Moo Bar! 🧋 We stopped in for the adorable Labubu Jazmine milk tea drinks and were not disappointed. The jasmine flavor was perfectly smooth and floral, and the attention to detail with the Labubu design made it almost too cute to drink (almost 😄). The vibes inside were super chill, the staff was sweet, and the drinks were as Instagram-worthy as they were tasty. Will definitely be back for more Moo magic! #MooBarSeattle #LabubuMilkTea #BubbleTeaGoals#TheHeartofMortgage

Yummy Taro and brown sugar milk tea! I wanted to go for their cups too, they’re so cute!! The employees were nice. There was a wait time. Small inside so crowds very quickly. Plenty of people walking around at night so I explored a little too while waiting.

Service is good, but I don’t understand why the Mundo ordering device here is charging $1.5 “Tax & Other fees” on my $7.5 order, in addition to tips. This is not reasonable to customers, not to mention the lack of transparency. Also not to the workers, because customers will just opt to no/less tips. I don’t need a SMS service to tell me my order is ready, if I’m waiting in store. Can someone explain?

Adorable cafe, with amazing dessert and drinks. The raindrop cake was what drew me to this particular cafe out of all the dessert places in Seattle, although it was aesthetic, the matcha flavor one was okay, I didn’t find it too special, the matcha was good quality though. I also ordered jasmine milk tea with boba, as well and the mango coconut smoothie, both were as good as I expected. My favorite is the glass cup with cute designs that comes with your drink, good for the planet and worth the extra 75 cents.

Mas Cafe is a cozy and easygoing restaurant located near Gasworks Park, offering a variety of delicious breakfast burritos, sandwiches, and tacos. Despite its limited seating, the food is worth the wait as it's hearty, fresh, and reasonably priced. The fully loaded burritos and breakfast sandwiches are to die for, complemented by sweet and creamy coffee. The friendly staff speaks both English and Spanish while accommodating special requests such as gluten-free options.
Staff was super nice! Prices are super good and portions are huge. If you’re a big back like me. You are gonna love this place. I do believe their tacos and Mexican dishes are super underrated. Possibly had one of the best tacos I’ve ever had in Seattle. No cap. Coffee was pretty good too!!!

If you’re looking for a quick, hot, savory breakfast - Más Cafe should be on your list. The breakfast sandwich was loaded with CRISPY bacon - NOT SOGGY - on a yummy little bun. The burrito was so huge (IN A GOOD WAY) that I had to eat it in two sittings. Get it spicy trust me. The fresh juice was the cherry on top. I have to come back here for lunch and try their smoothies sometime.

What an AMAZING place to eat or drink!!! We stopped here after checking out of our hotel to get something to eat for the long drive. The flavors were outstanding and they had no issues with adding or substituting items for my order. I got the #4 breakfast sandwich and my sister got the #2 breakfast burrito. I added caramelized onions and cilantro to my sandwich and loved it. They have a small parking lot and limited seating, but there is a lot of street very parking close by. Safe neighborhood, friendly staff and a great atmosphere. You will not regret stopping here.

This is a great little coffee shop that serves breakfast and lunch. The tacos here are amazing! They come with onions, radishes, and salsa, and they’re very filling. As a Mexican, it's hard to find a good mole, but the one here is really good! I just wish they had more dishes with mole. The smoothies are delicious, and the frappes are great too. The staff is very friendly. Just be aware that it can get packed during lunchtime. You might want to order your food to-go instead of waiting for a spot to eat there.

The juices, coffee, smoothies are 5 star. Staff is amazing- ao calm, friendly and polite. Loved this spot. We got drip coffee( perfect balance toast and fresh), the cure( juice- melon, avocado, lime, agave) which was fantastic and worth coming back here for juices alone, and the shrimp fajita wrap. Took off one star as the sandwich was good not great / to be realistic in terms of reviews. Could also be the wrap we chose, so will give this spot another try and update the review as i do believe the other sandwiches would be better. Would try the chorizo brekkie sandwich or one of the lunch sandwiches next time instead of the wrap.

Despite being a bit understaffed at times, the staff is friendly and accommodating. The menu includes gluten-free options like the delicious cornbread with caramel and coconut toppings. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with attentive service and a family-friendly environment.
I was recommended Bebop by a friend and decided to try it out yesterday. It was AMAZING. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. I could not have been happier with their gluten free options. I got the breakfast sandwich which comes with mini gluten free waffles to replace the bun (if you are gf). My partner got a waffle (not gf) and said it was incredible as well. We enjoyed the whole experience and will be back very very soon!

The BEST waffles I’ve had in a while! They were fluffy and not heavy at all! We got the lemon curd and classic waffles. The lemon curd was incredible. The perfect amount of tart and zesty. Love the crunchy hash browns! The food came out quickly and the staff were really sweet! Not a ton of seating so I recommend coming on weekday. We will definitely be back!

First time eating here: clean atmosphere, full tables, packed walk ways. But this restaurant is full of love and care. Staff were super friendly and kind. Kari helped me out as I was waiting for my food and coloring with their child friendly coloring pages. I asked for hot water, and potentially a lemon because my throat was sore and she offered to put honey in it also. Food was good a bit of a wait but nothing out of the ordinary for a Saturday morning in west Seattle. At the end we were given free Valentine’s Day cards to use curtesy of the staff. Proactive staff in the restaurant and in the community. Awesome place to eat, family friendly, and considerate staff.

I absolutely love Bebop Waffle shop! I live in West Seattle and I went with my wife for the first time today. We really enjoyed it. It was so delicious! The place has a very hipster vibe which made me love it even more. It's also dog friendly, so we brought our little one to eat with us. I will say the staff was very nice, but the service was super slow. It was a busy day so they were probably doing the best they could. This is why I gave them four stars instead of five was because of the slow service. We had the cocoa krispies waffle and the cornbread waffle with the scrambled eggs and cheese. All of the food was delicious and cooked fresh and had delicious flavors. They are known for their novelty waffles. Overall, I definitely recommend this place. The food is incredibly good. The pricing is great as well. Please note, they are very busy on weekends, and their hours are limited. You have to be prepared for a wait! Otherwise, I highly recommend!

Cool vibe, loved the esthetic. Once you walk in, you feel a sense of kindness, and a sweet smile from the staff is welcoming. We googled best breakfast spots in Seattle, and Bebop popped up. My partner and I were excited to find a restaurant that we both could indulge in. I have some dietary needs, and he... well, he has no restrictions, so often I end up with not so yummy breakfast options that are boring, to say the least. I had the cornbread/GF/VG lemon curd waffle and a side of scrambled eggs. It was delish!! The lemon curd is beautiful, silky smooth, and just enough tarte but not too overwhelming. My partner had the Rainbow Madness waffle, which was topped with fruity pebbles, bananas, and whip cream. He barely made a peep while eating, and that says it all, YuMMy! He had the combo breakfast, which was eggs and bacon added. I would say if you are on the hunt for a fun place with a great vibe and good food, definitely give the place a visit.
S K — Google review
Love this cozy breakfast place. Their maple/brown sugar butter for the waffles is so yummy. Also, I love the breakfast Sammy with their special aioli sauce, and I add arugula for a little bite. The only thing that would make this place better is if I I was in pajamas and they're serving me in bed. Coffee comes with one free refill, but splurge on their espresso concoctions. They are worth it.
Teresa K — Google review
This is a great little breakfast spot. I think they were a little understaffed so there was a wait on our waffles and they were upfront about it. They were quick with our espresso drinks and they were good. They offer 2 gluten-free options and I went with the cornbread. It was very good, not mealy, too wet, or too dry and under great caramel and coconut toppings. My wife also liked her fruity pebbles waffle. This is a good breakfast experience and recommend trying if your looking for gluten-free breakfast
Elijah S — Google review
My girl and I came here for Gluten Free/Vegan waffles and breakfast drinks. And our experience was a 10/10 the sweet potato waffles was absolutely amazing! She had hers with strawberry berry jam, whipped cream and honey. I had the original with maple butter and syrup. We also got two iced coffees and the service was absolutely amazing. There is very limited seating so you might need to wait around and snag a table when you can and then order. They has these cute little boot glasses for our coffee and the overall vibe is very cute. Price was around 40 for the two of us with a generous tip.

Lola, located in downtown Seattle, is a vibrant restaurant by Tom Douglas that offers modern Greek-influenced flavors using local ingredients. It's a great spot for lunch, and if you have time, you can explore the nearby Pike Place Market and Seattle Waterfront. The menu features delicious starters like pita bread with various spreads, meze options including grilled octopus and dolmades with rice, as well as a variety of kabobs.
Amazing. Amazing. Amazing. My friends and I were speechless—literally silent—because we were too busy savoring every single bite. Each dish was a perfect balance of flavors, and our amazing server made the experience even better. She suggested we go family-style so we could try everything, and it was hands-down the best advice! We had the smoky eggplant, Greek salad, fried squid, pork kebabs, slow-roasted lamb, grilled summer squash, and for dessert, their perfectly moist and very delicious olive oil cake. Every single thing was a hit—NOTHING disappointed. I highly recommend ordering all of them for dinner!!

The food was incredible and the service excellent. Every dish we ordered was delicious and we polished off everything. We visited for lunch and ordered the following: Sweet Pepper Shakshuka, Greek Scramble, Octopus Hash, Como French Toast, Mushroom Kebab, and Chicken Kebab. We had a reservation for four and were seated immediately

We went for breakfast on Sunday morning and it was packed, so we had to wait about 20 minutes. The good thing is they have a lounge where you can comfortably wait. For this reason, I think it’s definitely a good idea to make a reservation. The staff was super kind and attentive — they brought us water while we looked over the menu, and when we were ready we ordered the Eggs Benedict and the Octo hash, which we shared. Both dishes were delicious and generous in portion; honestly, one of the best Eggs Benedict I’ve ever had! The real standout, though, were the potatoes — crispy and super tasty. The coffee they served was standard American drip coffee, which is pretty typical(but expensive tho)and maybe the only thing that could be improved was the drink menu. It would be nice to have a wider breakfast drinks selection, maybe with more coffee options or fresh juices. All in all, it’s a fantastic place to enjoy a great meal. It does get busy and therefore a bit noisy(and pricey)but we’re already planning to go back to try more of the menu!

Had a great time at this place. The server was very friendly and gave us all the information we needed to order our drinks and food. The entree - leg of lamb was a lot of meat and would do good with some salad on the side to with. All good otherwise.

We came in at late lunch time (dinner menu), the manti is amazing, it’s inspired from the Turkish Manti and is very flavourful, the lamb is tender and moist. The chicken kebabs are succulent and arrive at the table with a sizzle, we ordered some pita to pair the kebab with. It’s a great place to people watch, if you are seated by the windows- the service is not hurried and a meal is enjoyable and slow unlike a lot of other places in the neighbourhood.

Absolutely delicious! We started with the Kalamata olive fig spread and blue cheese feta spread - they were good individually and when we tried them together. I forgot to get a photo of the dolmades but they were the BEST WE HAVE EVER EATEN wow yum! Shakshuka was so good. Service was fabulous. Highly recommend!!!

9/28 1pm. Great place, great food. However I wouldve rated the experience higher if I didn’t see a food runner actively popping his pimple on the right side of his jaw line. White chubby guy with glasses semi long brown hair. I also don’t want to slam the business over an employee doing something that wrong. Management please speak to this guy. Had he been our server I would’ve said something thankfully he wasn’t. Overall great greeter, great portions, our server was ok. I would still definitely come back but wouldn’t allow the pimple popping server to handle our table. Thanks

Bakery Nouveau is a charming bakery and cafe known for its French breads, sandwiches, quiches, and pastries. Visitors rave about the delectable sweets and sandwiches available, often finding themselves purchasing more than planned due to the tempting selection. The bakery's chocolates and cakes are particularly praised for their beauty and make perfect gifts. Their almond croissants are a standout item, with a generous size that allows for sharing.
I love this bakery. I've come here a few times and gotten different things. The pastries and food are decadent and light. They taste fresh and are genuinely worth trying. It's a really small and quaint place, it can be cramped when busy but I think it's cozy. Definitely give this place a try if you want a fresh tasting treat.

Bakery Nouveau is an absolute Seattle and Seattle area bakery! I am so fortunate to live in West Seattle and have a location next to me! The staff is always really nice and they all provide excellent customer service and they are always upbeat from my experience. The space at the West Seattle location is kind of small and the line can get long, so sometimes they have you line up outside. The space feels very much like a cozy traditional bakery/cafe. I enjoy the decor of the space. The food is absolutely delicious! I love their desserts, which are totally premium quality! They also sell sandwiches and bread, but I have only ever had their desserts. They sell coffee as well for a little pick me up! My favorite desserts are the tiramisu and the mocha chocolate cheesecake. Both of those items are incredible. My wife enjoys the pistachio cake that they make. I also enjoy the Paczki that they make. Paczki is a polish donut. They don’t always have it on regular basis, but when they do, it’s amazing! Overall, I highly recommend Bakery Nouveau if your looking to satisfy your dessert craving, or if you’re just looking for some coffee or lunch type of food!

Overall Rating: 3.5/5 (6/10) Recently wanted some pastries while in Seattle and heard of this spot! Walking in it was a small quaint cafe with only a few tables, which was fine. We were intending to leave with our product anyway! Large selection of Macarons, danishes, croissants, cookies, and more. We selected a strawberry pistachio cake slice, a chocolate covered Madeline, a honey pecan scones, and a pear Danish. I will say it felt a little rushed getting through the line, but it was 9am and they were busy. It just made it hard to get a good look at everything, if we had more time I think we would have chosen different or more options. We got to the car and opened the strawberry pistachio slice, it was good, however way too sweet for my liking, unfortunately couldn't finish it. The Madeline was good! But a bit more dense than we were use to. The scone was for a friend, they really enjoyed it (it smelled and looked good) and last the pear Danish was for my boyfriend. I stole a bite and that was the star of the show! Amazing Danish. I will return again to try other items in the future.

Such amazing sandwiches, bread, and sweets! I love the breakfast options and my favorite sandwiches are the ham & cheese baguette, California club, and BLT. I love you can get a slice of cake if you’re solo or want to try several options. Three downsides to consider. 1. Bread, breakfast, and sandwiches sell very quickly so try and get there before noon so you don’t miss out. 2. West Seattle store is very small & narrow and the lines often go into the street and it’s a bit chaotic honestly especially if it’s your first visit. Hang in there and try and go with the flow of others and you’ll be okay. However, if crowded social spaces make you anxious, this place may trigger you during busy times. 3. They’re closed Mondays & Tuesdays 😩 So try and stock up breads, etc on Sundays if you’ll have a craving. I also want to mention how amazing ALL their staff are. Always polite and kind and patient while you order. I’ve been a regular here -sometimes weekly- for four years and I’ve always had a positive experience (minus the crowded shop) with the friendly staff. Definitely recommend if you’re craving decadent pastries and cake or need a fancy cake for a special occasion. And the bread - good variety. Perfect for your holiday occasions & holiday orders can be placed online for convenient sidewalk window pick up.

Friendly and helpful staff and tasty pastries and strong coffee I would say this is a grab and go type of place. The line is pretty long though it moves fast. I almost missed it walking by. I love the cakes and croissants at BN. I know for a fact that they use good ingredients. I came in 3 minutes before closing. I haven't been here in years. Now that I live close by, I will be here more often. The service people were welcoming and very friendly. They weren't in a hurry to close. This place is a treasure. It's hard to find a bakery that sells cakes with real Italian or French buttercream.

This biscuit felt like it was curing my hangover even though I didn’t have one. The butteriness of the biscuit and the savoriness of the sausage make for an amazing breakfast sandwich. Despite the small shop and popularity the staff and the ordering system keep things easy and lets you walk around while waiting for your order.

Good but not great IMO! (Sorry.) The biscuits are definitely the highlight—I’d eat a tray—but the filling was meh. (Sorryyyy.) The London Fog is EXCELLENT though. Compliments to the chef/barista. Recommend ordering ahead online.

The food was fantastic! Fresh and homemade 😋. I had the spicy links bichwich and it is the best breakfast sandwich I've ever had. Definitely give it a try. Just an FYI this is not a sit down restaurant. You ordered like you would from a food truck. They have a few tables along the sidewalk.

Cool spot, amazing food, quick service. Fair prices, its best to order online. Good decor and vibe. This is not a sit inside spot, this is kinda a biscuit window with flair, great flair. Good quick breakfast with elevated quality.

Recommended to come here and try some biscuits. I ordered the biscuits with the gravy and scrambled eggs on top and cheese. It was good and filling. Definitely something different. Also ordered a pumpkin coffee drink but I didn't really like it, tasted watery. Girl at front was very friendly, great service!

Food was as advertised, presentation and taste was there. A bit of a wait for a Saturday morning but turned out well after it was all said and done. Worth a try.

No dine in, only carry out. The system is pretty easy to understand. Walk up, order and pay, they have an estimate of how long it’ll take, set a timer on your phone and go walk around until it’s time. That’s what we did and the exact moment our timer went off, they brought our food out. We had the bacon and the hot links biscuits. I’m from TX so when they said these are southern style, I was a little skeptical. But these were really delicious biscuits, I was impressed! And they’re big! It doesn’t really look like it from the pictures online but I was worried it wouldn’t be enough to fill me up - it definitely was.

Nestled in the vibrant Pike Place Market, Bacco Cafe is a delightful spot for breakfast and lunch that showcases the best of local produce and organic eggs. This charming eatery serves up a delicious array of Pacific Northwest-inspired dishes alongside modern favorites. Open daily, it features an enticing breakfast menu filled with classics like egg plates, omelets, and mouthwatering pancakes. The cafe also boasts scrumptious breakfast sandwiches—don't miss their bacon and cheddar delight!
So impressed by this place! Was staying at a hotel nearby and was sat outside right away. The strawberry orange mimosa was delicious. The highlight meal was the French toast which absolutely blew my mind. My partner also liked the crab sandwich!
MEGHAN C — Google review
As a huge lover of brunch, I can say that Bacco completely satisfied my cravings! Let's start with the juices: the Verona and Modena were so fresh and sweet they set a new standard for me. We ordered the Salmon Benedict and the Salmon Omelette to share, and they were both fantastic. The Belgian waffle with berries was a great way to top off the meal. The prices are a bit higher, but if you're a brunch enthusiast like me, the quality makes it a worthwhile splurge.

Went with high expectations but left somewhat disappointed. The Dungeness crab omelette had a noticeably strong fishy smell, though the flavor itself was pleasant. Overall, the food tended to be on the saltier side, and the coffee was underwhelming. One thing to note — there’s an extra tax for using a credit card, and a 20% service charge was automatically added to the bill without option to decline, which made the meal feel less value-for-money.
Jessie N — Google review
Cute place. We went here for breakfast and they seated us very quickly. There’s more seating outside behind the restaurant and it’s such a nice area. Food was solid and wait staff was fine.
Samantha R — Google review
Started with coffee and then thought to try one of the most popular breakfasts the Dungeness Crab Benedict w/potatoes. The service was decent enough, quick with our beverages, but slower with refills and much slower upon receiving our food. Several tables around us were seated after us and received their food quicker before we did. The restaurant appears to be split into two locations near each other and there are several tables outside along the street, but we dined indoors. It's tiny and you are super close to other tables. The Dungeness Crab Benedict disappointed...it was light on the crab, very sweet (given it also has avocado) and the English Muffins were not toasted. I feel the presentation wasn't so impressive given the price and other reviews online here. But I was disappointed and most likely won't be returning.
James G — Google review
I tried the dungeness crab eggs benedict and my companion tried the crab salad; we were surprised to find that both were very cold, and the waiters forgot to bring out dressing. This food was very underwhelming and overpriced and my bill was a little over $100. Not coming here again; extremely overpriced for what service is offered.
Rae H — Google review
This café has it all—cozy indoor tables, a breezy patio, and staff so friendly and fast you’d think they had superpowers. The menu is stacked with everything from classic breakfast staples to French toast that could tempt anyone out of bed. We went all in with Dungeness crab omelets and Benedicts (the crab was fresh and piled high, no stingy scoops here), fruit oatmeal, and the perfect smoked salmon lox-and-bagel melted in my mouth . The fresh juice? Next level. My Greyhound cocktail was hands-down the best I’ve ever had. Plus, there’s a coffee bar for those who like their caffeine straight up. Will always be my go too place

Bacco Cafe was on my list of restaurants to check out during our Seattle trip. Glad we were able to get seated fairly quick on the day we decided to grab breakfast from here. Most days we saw long lines at the Cafe! The French toast came out just the way we requested it to be. Paired with unlimited coffee, we definitely enjoyed our breakfast experience!

Dessert shop
Dahlia Bakery is a cozy spot that offers a variety of breakfast items, pastries, sandwiches, and their signature coconut cream pie. The bakery's flourless cookies are described as rich and decadent yet reminiscent of homemade treats. The establishment takes care to avoid cross-contamination in its shared kitchen space. Known for producing artisan bread, pastries, and cakes in small batches daily, the bakery also serves breakfast and lunch options such as egg sandwiches, quiche, and daily sandwich specials.
This charming little bake shop is a must-visit for pastry lovers, but be sure to go early if you want the best selection! Their offerings sell out quickly, and after tasting them, it’s easy to see why. I had the pleasure of trying a mochi donut, cookies, a ham and cheese croissant, and a fosette, and every single item was absolutely delicious. The standout for me was the fosette—it was exceptionally tasty, with a wonderfully moist texture that made each bite pure bliss. The balance of flavors was just right, and it had that homemade touch that sets a great bakery apart. The ham and cheese croissant was another highlight. Flaky, buttery, and filled with the perfect ratio of savory ham and melted cheese, it was a delightful mix of crispness and softness. The mochi donut had that signature chewy texture, and the cookies were fresh and satisfying. Whether you’re in the mood for something sweet or savory, this bake shop has something for everyone. If you’re in the area, don’t hesitate to stop by—but remember, the early bird gets the best treats!

A popular local bakery with a variety of donut, pastries, breakfast sandwiches. The food was all good but not great; you might expect something amazing from a bakery, but it seems to fail on that point. Set expectations accordingly and this is a nice quick and cost effective breakfast. Expect a line, dine in seating is shared with Serious Pie until 11am.

Really good breakfast sandwiches but not $14 good. We got the bacon and the veggie sandwiches. The bacon would have been amazing if not for the sauce that is on it. The veggie was good but it was just missing something.
Alex D — Google review
I walked in randomly off the street having done zero research and learned they don’t serve matcha— oops! They recommended Taz nearby, but I still got the smoked butterscotch oat cookie. It was divine! All their baked goods looked amazing, but I popped in 20 minutes before closed so there wasn’t a lot left.

Super cool little bakery connected to Serious Pie. Amazing pastries that change daily. Unbelievable unique Mochi (gluten free) donuts! And one of the best breakfast sandwiches I’ve ever had! Nice outdoor seating as well!
Chris S — Google review
Everything they offered looked SO good. The bakery side of things is absolutely worth going to. I had gotten a blueberry mochi donut and bacon and egg sandwich. The proportion of the breakfast sandwich was insane, but delicious. The only disappointment was the coffee, it wasn't anything especially great, but not bad. I just expected with their food being so good, the coffee would be the same. There wasn't a ton of interaction with the staff, but everyone seemed nice enough. The atmosphere however was very uninspired, really nothing special happening there, but that shouldn't be a reason not to go. Will absolutely be back when I'm in the area again!

My wife and I just stopped in for a quick breakfast sandwich and we were blown away! The bacon and egg sandwich with Beecher’s cheese, arugula, smoked paprika aioli on a toasted English muffin was THE best breakfast sandwich I have ever had in my entire life….and I’ve had some good ones!!! WOW… don’t ever change how you make these!!! Super friendly staff as well!

This place was a great find! I was looking for a delicious breakfast sandwich and that’s exactly what I got. It was super tasty with great, fresh ingredients. I will admit I might have messed it up a little by adding bacon because it did not need it and made it a little too salty. Their baked goods all looked amazing and they had plenty coffee/tea options. Be aware this place shares its space with Serious Pie which is a place on my list to try too. If I’m looking for a good breakfast sandwich and in the area I will definitely check it out again.

Breakfast restaurant
Beth's Cafe is a classic American diner located in Phinney Ridge, serving up no-frills American fare 24 hours a day. Since its opening in 1954, it has been a go-to spot for locals and visitors alike. The menu features all-day breakfast options including massive 12-egg omelets, waffles, scrambles, and traditional breakfast platters.
*Previous review deleted* Had an absolute blast at Beth’s Cafe! Met up with my buddy and her boyfriend for breakfast, and the vibes were top-tier. I had scrambled eggs, french toast, bacon, and coffee—everything was delicious and hit just right. It gets crowded and parking’s street-only, but honestly? Didn’t even care. Great food, great company, and a classic Seattle spot I’ll always come back to.

Heard about this on MvF so decided to try it out. Omelet was good, cheesey and stuffed but the hash browns were bland even with a dash of salt. Waffle was a tad dry so I ended up using more butter than I normally would. Service was good quick and pleasant.

Beth's is a legendary establishment in Seattle. Great reputation with the locals. It's traditional American breakfast food and we enjoyed our food overall but it wasn't overly delicious. I got the breakfast burrito and it was good not great. We had three different servers help us and all were pleasant but I got the sense they may have been dealing with some other challenges on a Friday morning in July. I'm also not sure how parking works but they do have a few spots in the back of the restaurant.

BETH’S CAFE is one of Seattle’s remaining iconic restaurants. Beth’s puts the FUN in Funky! The restaurant is decidedly old school with amazing original artwork every where. The menu is fantastic and everything is easily shareable. We had a fantastic bacon waffle (don’t know how Beth’s manages to get so much bacon into one waffle and have it come out so wonderful!) Service is warm and friendly. If you’re looking for a good place to eat and want to visit one of Seattle’s classic restaurants BETH’S CAFE should be on your list! HIGHLY RECOMMEND

The lone server there was named Andy, and he was easily one of the friendliest and funniest servers I've ever had the luxury of meeting. My girlfriend and I were dying laughing a majority of the time we were there. I forget the cook's name, but she was super friendly as well. Loved all the drawings up on the walls and ceiling and even left a couple there ourselves. Definitely coming back soon for the good food, environment, and bringing art supplies for more art!

Great experience at Beth’s Cafe. Me and my wife loved all of the customers art on the wall. I had a half dozen egg mushroom, hams and cheese omelette. My wife had the chorizo egg tacos which were delicious also. Highly recommend this cafe!!

I just recently heard about this place. It is a great hole-in-the-wall diner-like restaurant near Green Lake. They have all day breakfast and unlimited hash browns. For anyone looking for really good southern sausage gravy, look no further. Coming from a southerner, this is the best gravy I have found in Seattle. They have so many good menu items it was so hard to narrow it down to one thing! One dish our table ordered was the breakfast tacos. They used house made chorizo, which is delicious! We went on a Saturday at noon and there was no wait to get a table, but the restaurant was plenty full. They are also open at really late hours, so when you need a late night bite, Beth's is a great option.

Oddfellows Café + Bar is a stylish American eatery located in Capitol Hill, known for its seasonal fare and craft drinks. Founded by Linda Derschang and now managed by Joey Burgess and Murf Hall, it has become a popular brunch spot with a menu offering a mix of breakfast and lunch dishes along with morning cocktails and an array of coffee options.
I love this Seattle classic! ☕ Oddfellows Café + Bar is my go-to when I want variety and vibe in one space. The welcome isn’t always warm, but the service is decent and the staff keep things moving. The real win? The food. 🥑 My favorite is the Avocado Toast for breakfast—simple, fresh, and always satisfying. Even though I’m not a coffee drinker, their baristas make excellent coffees, teas, and craft cocktails that hit every mood. 🌿 It’s well-lit, modern, and spacious—perfect for brunch, laptop workdays, or relaxed catch-ups. A solid Capitol Hill favorite that never feels too crowded to enjoy. 📍 Oddfellows Café + Bar — Capitol Hill, Seattle #OddfellowsCafe #SeattleEats #CapitolHillSeattle #SeattleBrunch #SeattleCoffee #SeattleRestaurants #BrunchVibes #FoodieSeattle #CafeCulture #BreakfastGoals #AmadoToast #SeattleInfluencer #EatLocalSeattle #PNWFoodies #CoffeeAndCocktails #FoodLoversSeattle

The atmosphere was really nice, but maybe because it was a busy day and the restaurant seemed full, it took quite a while for someone to come over and take our order. We had the French onion soup, the vegetarian sandwich, and the lavender chamomile latte. To me, the latte just tasted like regular coffee with milk :/ I was hoping for a stronger lavender flavor but couldn’t really taste the chamomile or lavender. The sandwich was tasty, and I think it would’ve been great to have a bit more bread to go with the soup, as it was a little salty on its own. So here’s a tip if you’re planning to order the onion soup: ask for extra bread! The server who helped us was kind and attentive.
Thais C — Google review
What a fun, airy space! Great for either a cafe experience (with friends or a laptop) or a nice meal. Particularly enjoyed the roasted veggie sandwich, and the non alcoholic wine mocktail from the “fancy hour” menu (4-6pm). Well then, WHY the three stars? That would be for the dishonest 5% added charge “for the business” and the incorrect tip calculation. The menu states there is a 5% charge on all food items due to rising costs—as one of my servers said in a chat with me, the owner doesn’t want to have a coffee drink listed for $12, because it seems like a lot. It does! But here’s the catch: THAT’S WHAT IT COSTS! And if you can’t justify your food or drink being worth what you charge for it, you need to rethink what you’re doing. To be clear: I would’ve paid the real amount if it had been listed up-front. As for the tip calculation, I get peeved when the tip suggestions are calculated including tax. Tax was not part of the meal—if I want to tip more than 20% on the meal, I will! Both of these are disrespectful of the people who want to visit. Future folks, please let me know if these are fixed and I’ll happily give a full five stars. **As a note: I had a lovely experience with Jason and another server (didn’t catch your name). I tipped them both the 20% on everything because they were very helpful—thank you!

I visited this place recently. It was a bit crowded when I arrived, but I was still able to find a table easily. The service was great, the staff was attentive and kind. The atmosphere was a bit noisy, probably because it’s popular with groups. I went alone to do some work on my laptop, and while it’s not the quietest environment, it’s still a decent spot for that. I ordered a latte and a salad. The salad was okay nothing special, but it did the job. I get the sense that this place is more focused on brunch and group gatherings. Overall, it was a nice experience, and I might give it another try sometime.

They modified the baked eggs! I'm terribly sad because these eggs were so good! They used to have tomato but they modified them completely. I hope they make them the same way they used to because it was the major reason I went there. Service was good, and the eggs Benedict were quite tasty, but I really hope they make the baked eggs as they did a few years ago with tomato

The food and restaurant was so so so nice! My partner and I got the spicy shakshouka, coffee and the cinnamon roll. Everything was amazing until our server came and took our plate without asking, when we had half our food still on our serving plate. She dropped off the check too. I was so confused I thought maybe my partner said we were leaving but he was confused too. I’ve never been to a restaurant where they drop off the check mid meal and then take your plate lol. We got the hint. We went (today) Friday around 11:10am, it was busy and they were able to seat us for brunch and as we were eating more and more people were leaving. I don’t know if they were closing soon, but we left at 11:45am. Other than that everything was great and our server was really nice too. It was just so damn weird??? Who does that?

Came here for lunch, I think their breakfast items are more popular here. I had fish and chips and a friend of mine had the Mac and Cheese. Not the best, but B-. It’s not bad though!

I came here a few days ago. The food declined a lot!!! Their fryer was broken so no fries. The steak is so small and expensive. I ordered the milk tea it was terrible. My sister and I came here over 10 years ago and had fond memories of how good the food used to be. Back then we had the hanger steak with fingerling potatoes. I would not recommend this restaurant. The food other people ordered nowadays looks equally sad.

Jimmy's on Broadway is a sophisticated eatery and lounge located in the Silver Cloud Hotel within the vibrant Pike/Pine neighborhood of Seattle. This upscale establishment offers a contemporary environment where guests can indulge in delectable American cuisine. The restaurant prides itself on providing gluten-free options, catering to those with dietary restrictions. With a dedicated and friendly staff, customers are treated to exceptional service that is both attentive and accommodating.
Although I lived on First Hill for 12 years, I never ate at Jimmy's since it's in a hotel. My husband and I decided to go there tonight since it was convenient to the hospital where we were visiting a friend. We were greeted in a friendly & welcoming manner by the bartender, the atmosphere was cozy with the lit candles on the tables, our server was professional but personable, our drinks were delicious (especiallymy martini), I enjoyed the vodka pasta and the burger with fries was a hit for my husband. For a professional yet warm atmosphere with delicious food and excellent service, I'd recommend Jimmy's in the Silver Cloud Hotel.

I was staying at the Silvercloud Hotel and this restaurant is in the same building. I had dinner and a lunch here. If you are staying at the hotel you receive a free drink voucher. They had ample choices and a good variety of options to choose from. Some could be converted to V, and there were GF options. I have some dietary restrictions, and I was able to navigate just fine. The service team was friendly and attentive. Both meals arrived hot and were delicious.

As someone who’s written more reviews than I can count—ranging from fast food chains to mom-and-pop diners and even luxury restaurants with Michelin stars—I’ve learned to look beyond the plate and evaluate the entire experience. And when a place stands out, for better or worse, it’s worth writing about. The Good: The chicken noodle soup was, without a doubt, the highlight. The broth had depth, striking that balance between comforting and flavorful that only comes from someone who truly knows what they’re doing. The noodles were tender and well-cooked, and the shredded chicken was generous and satisfying. It wasn’t fancy, but it was honest. There was intention in that bowl—and that matters. The Bad: The fries. From the moment they hit the table, it was obvious something was wrong. Visibly burned, with the telltale smell of reused oil, and the first bite confirmed it: dry, hard, and bitter. This wasn’t a minor slip; it was a basic technical failure. I’ve had fries from humble food trucks that were executed with far more skill. Here, they completely missed the mark. The Ugly: When I returned the fries—not with anger, but with the reasonable expectation that the mistake would be corrected—the response was a laugh. Not the nervous kind or the courteous kind. A mocking laugh. Condescending. The kind of reaction that doesn’t belong in any kitchen, not even the most rustic. That moment, more than the food itself, was the bitterest taste of the night. Mistakes in the kitchen happen. Disrespect should never be on the menu. The Unforgivable: And here’s where the experience went from flawed to offensive: after returning the fries, they brought out another plate… equally burnt. Same issue, same attitude. No effort to fix the mistake, no gesture of goodwill. As someone who has tasted food from the streets of New York to the markets of Oaxaca, I can say this: the unforgivable thing is never the mistake—it’s the arrogant decision to repeat it knowingly. That second plate wasn’t just a culinary error. It was a statement of indifference. And that, in any kind of restaurant, is costly. ⸻ This review isn’t meant to tear down, but to call attention. Kitchens can improve. Service can grow. But for that to happen, there first needs to be a willingness to listen. And that night, unfortunately, the one ingredient most absent was humility.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I tucked into this cozy spot next to the fire and it was exactly what I needed—warm, quiet, and plenty of seating without a reservation. The atmosphere makes it feel like a hidden hideaway in Capitol Hill where you can actually have a private evening with good company. Let’s talk food: the herbed French fries (rosemary, garlic & sage) are absolutely slamming. Crispy outside, pillowy inside—hands down the star of the table. The adult grilled cheese with goat cheese & blackberry jam isn’t what you’d expect at first bite—it totally threw me off—but once I re-set my taste buds, I appreciated it as a refreshing twist. I’d try it again now that I know the vibe. Service was pleasant, not rushed, not overbearing—just the right balance. Overall, a great Capitol Hill hideaway for comfort food, good company, and a little warmth by the fire. #SeattleEats #CapitolHillSeattle #BroadwaySeattle #CapitolHillBites #GrilledCheeseGlowUp

The worst (supposed) Cobb salad I ever had! I couldn’t tell if it was a Caesar or a very pour Cobb. The dressing was already on it☹️, no blue cheese, no olives a sad piece of bacon a couple cherry tomatoes about 1/4 avocado and 1 egg for $20.00 you can add Chicken for another $10.00. And to top it off $22.00 for a double house whiskey during Happy Hour the waitress should have said something about how much it was going to be, and $10.00 for a side salad which looked better than the Cobb I ordered. The Chicken Pesto had way to much oil and very heavy on the pesto my husband could only eat a few bits. Our bill was over $100.00.

We went here for the Seattle Restaurant Week. We booked a reservation ahead of the time and arrived the restaurant couple minutes early. But the host did not show up for 5 or so minutes. We thought it was gonna be a long night but our server was really attentive and helpful. The food was surprisingly good despite it is in a hotel. We over order the food.. by a lot. The portion is a good amount. Ended up boxing more than half of our food. The server was very quick on boxing the and set them nicely in a bag. Overall an enjoyable experience. 😊

I’ve lived in Seattle for many years and have passed Jimmys on broadway countless times. I finally decided to stop in and check it out, the entrance is a bit hard to find from the street. The main draw is the big windows that look into the restaurant where you can see people enjoying their meal. I found the entrance and wondered around a bit to find the host stand. When I arrived there was a sign that said “sit wherever you like” the restaurant was pretty empty and there were 3 or 4 diners in the establishment. I decided to sit near the bar because that’s where the 3 staff members I did see were gathered. I was quickly greeted by the bartender Anaya, she was very pleasant and quickly brought me menus and asked if I would like a drink to start. I asked for just an ice water and she brought one from the bar. Anaya went over the menu and her recommendations, I had asked about a few items and she had tried most of what I asked about but let me know that there were some she herself had yet to try. I ended up ordering the “Jimmy’s Rueben”. The Ruben arrived pretty quickly and was served with a side of fries and 2 pickles. The portions were a bit small compared to other restaurants in the area, the Rueben was a bit slim and was more bread than meat. The meat was also overly tough. The fries were presented in a round bowl that made them seem plentiful but the shape of the bowl was cone like making all the fries kinda sit on top of the bowl. After finishing the Rueben and fries I was still hungry and browsed the menu further and decided to order the “clam chowder fries” the clam chowder fries were a hearty portion and beautifully presented. It was very flavorful and filling. If I did decide to try Jimmy’s again I would probably just order the clam chowder fries. The best thing about Jimmy’s is the staff. Anaya was very attentive and one of the other staff members Stephen was very funny. Overall I think Jimmy’s on broadway was overly demure yet could be more mindful about portions and presentation. The layout of the restaurant it’s self was not very well thought out in terms of drawing in customers outside of the hotel patrons and the bathrooms are inside the hotel so to use the bathroom you have to walk all the way through the hotel past the front desk area. It would be helpful to have a sign at the street entrance letting people know it’s “self seat” because of the layout the bartender can’t see patrons walking in.

Nue is a trendy restaurant with a diverse menu that offers an array of global street food. The dining room is filled with memorabilia, creating a hip atmosphere. The brunch menu features dishes from various countries such as Syrian salads, Sichuan wings, tosilog, Burmese tea leaf salad, and Sri Lankan curry. The kitchen successfully translates these food traditions into a well-balanced and wide-ranging brunch menu.
Our waitress Lopez was great 🩷 we didn’t like the other 2 female workers there. Besides that interesting restaurant with a lot to see inside and has outdoor patio seatings too . Mixture of diff cultures and diff music. We heard Spanish, Chinese, and English all mixed in. The wing tower was great little spicy! They can’t give you other flavors once dinner hits. The roti was good too the curry was citrus flavored it was different! They had fresh lemonades and Arnold Palmer’s little watered down but atleast fresh made . The The bathroom was like a little maze coming out lol. The food was like Indian finger food vibe where you can taste the cumin. The wings was great little spicy! They can’t give you other flavors once dinner. The kids did enjoy the Australian fairy bread dessert for my bf birthday 🎉

They should put this place next to the word eclectic in the dictionary! The food options spam the world and your taste buds will most likely be taken on a royal procession. The fries were exceptionally crisp and smothered in tangy sauce with sambal to dip into. I have never had such decadent fries at a brunch spot. I got the Korean noodle dish and it is served cold. The candied lotus roots were a delight to crunch into. The shakshuka was good, but a little too much on the tangy side for me. Vegetarians have a few options here but meat eaters will have a field day.

All servers were nice and all food was really good! I wasn’t expecting it to be as good from the names or the pictures I saw online but they are all worth the try! The price is definitely on the high end so up to your discretion

The food here is unforgettable—bold flavors that feel like eating at your grandma’s house with all your cousins gathered around the table. The ribs were tender and rich, and the Ethiopian injera platter was tangy, playful, and perfect for sharing. Every dish carries a soulfulness that keeps me coming back. I truly wanted to give a five-star review, but I ran into a problem with the sangria. If you’re going to charge for a carafe, please give your guests the true value—not a carafe full of ice. On my last visit, it arrived so packed with ice that it only poured three glasses, compared to the generous carafe I enjoyed before. When I raised this, the server initially dismissed me in a way that made me feel like my integrity was being doubted, which was disappointing. To his credit, he did backtrack and apologize after I said I would just write a review. Still, if the carafe can’t consistently deliver value, it should be removed from the menu rather than charging guests the same as individual drinks. BTW-that is a picture of the first carafe from the week prior. My phone died before taking a picture of the iced carafe. That said, I still love this place. The flavors are powerful, comforting, and full of heart. When the service rises to match the excellence of the food, this restaurant shines as one of the best dining experiences anywhere.

We enjoyed the fried chicken wings tower! The brussel sprouts were nicely crispy and good with sauce. The pineapple cornbread was sadly really salty. We came on a holiday Sunday and there was only one chef working. Had to wait a lonnng time for any food. Will be back to try their chicken wings happy hour!

The war fries. That's all I have to say. SO GOOD. We also got the bunny stew (not actually rabbit), which was pretty good, but the war fries were the best. The drinks were really spendy and not super special for the price. All in all, I would definitely go back. There were tons of interesting options!

Lost Lake Cafe & Lounge is a retro-style 24-hour diner located in Capitol Hill, offering a unique dining experience reminiscent of scenes from a David Lynch script. The menu features an all-day breakfast with comforting classics like fried chicken and buttermilk biscuits, pancake stacks, vegan hash, benedicts, as well as lunch and dinner favorites such as wedge salad, BLT, tuna melts, and Mom's Meatloaf.
Excellent late night food option on Capitol Hill! Open until 3am on weekends! The fried chicken is among the best I’ve ever had, especially with the mashed potatoes and gravy that would make my late grandmother weep with joy (as others have said!). Combined with the GIANT “side salad,” this $21 plate is TWO full meals! Pro tip: take the salad and save some chicken to go and have a chicken salad for lunch the next day!! Service was great, atmosphere was fairly quiet considering the cacophony of Sat night in the Hill! Highly recommended!!

Late night dinner, came here after clubbing. Four of us, $100, I just ordered a basket of fries, for $8. Two combo French toast combo, breakfast combo, and milk shake. My fries was good but could be more for $8. Everyone else ate all their foods. 20% surcharge, I don’t remember being told about it. Service was good, friendly staffs. we parked at the structure. One bathroom that can take eternity.

Lost Lake is a return to the old Capitol Hill. It feels like a look back. It’s got a good vibe. The food is really good if not great. Assuming you like comfort food. Their mash potatoes and gravy would make your grandmother weep with joy. They serve beer. They make strong drinks. A trip to Seattle must include Lost Lake. Try it!
Dale B — Google review
I advise to avoid here unless you care to experience mediocrity in every regard. Food tastes as though it’s been fried in dirty oil that hasn’t been replaced in three weeks. Service is not great. Expect a 5% fee added on your bill. Fine print does not mention it will go to the working staff, rather it goes to “Lost Lake” or the “restaurant” which sounds rather greedy. If you want poorly prepared, muddled fry oil meals for a high price here it is.
Matthew G — Google review
I love the vibes of the restaurant but it was highkey so weird that they put my overeasy eggs on my pancakes. Yes, I should’ve asked for it on a separate plate but I never had that problem before. Food was alright overall. I think it’s required to be passive aggressive & have an attitude to work here though.
Czarina C — Google review
The food here is very average diner food but with a very high price. I had mistakenly ordered a milkshake without checking the price and when I had seen the amount I was shocked, $11 for an average milkshake?!!!!!! I will give then points because their mushroom scrambled had real caramelized onions, although the mushrooms themselves could have been cooked more. The toast could use more butter. The hash browns very very yummy and crispy. The french toast was very average. The cheese curds are the only reason I would come back, the were like these hot greasy cheesy gushers of amazingness combined with the honey packet…SO AMAZING. There definitely could have been more for the price but it was still very good. The service was mixed, one of the waiters was very kind but the other understandably considering we went on a Friday at 11pm was very grumpy. We had no silverware or napkins at our table and when asked for some they responded like it was such a burden. Not really a big deal, it was late and busy after a long day but $100 for two people at a diner should have kinder service.
Becca S — Google review
Great American style food with quality ingredients and careful preparation. Excellent service as well. Not cheap, but worth it.
Dennis F — Google review
Too many surcharges and hidden charges to warrant coming back here. The food is fine nothing special, service is average with the waiter missing items in our order. All this would be fine and a place that I would come back to if it wasn’t for the hidden surcharges they have on everything. They have happy hour pricing but when you get the bill if you didn’t order a specific way or say a specific thing you get normal pricing. It’s deceptive, predatory, and not worth my support going forward. I really want to like this place, but their own shady practices have made them lose a customer who has been there multiple times.

IHOP is a well-established chain known for its diverse selection of pancakes and classic American breakfast and diner dishes. Beths Cafe, a long-standing Seattle icon, has been serving up hearty comfort food since 1954. Despite its no-frills atmosphere, the restaurant is beloved for its generous portions of homemade biscuits, breads, muffins, and corned beef hash.
*Previous review deleted* Solid breakfast spot! The pancakes were fluffy and delicious, and everything came out hot and fresh. The service was friendly and welcoming, and the place was pretty clean too. Bonus points for the free parking lot—makes the whole experience easy and stress-free. Will definitely be back for another stack!

Great friendly service for a solo diner, loads of menu options, and really good value for such a large portion! Place was clean and peaceful. Clean toilets, too.

Honestly this might be a 5 star place. The breakfast is basic IHOP stuff, but the location is very clean, the service is amazing, everyone is friendly. I also like that IHOP has some healthier options now, in terms of whole grain protein pancakes, healthier syrups which aren't as sweet as they used to be, while still maintaining their price point. I wish there were vegan egg options using tofu or something else.
Ritika R — Google review
I’ve been coming to this location for years. I’m leaving my review here because their feedback site is garbage. Ordinarily I love this spot, but the quality dropped very suddenly today. The food came out tasting terrible. The server tried to tell me the pancake combo didn’t exist and charged me for the breakfast sampler. The server also tried to serve me regular soda and not diet like I’d asked. I have a health condition that prevents me from enjoying regular soda, so the servers really ought to be more mindful. I don’t think I’ll ever be back. Seemed like I wasn’t the only unhappy customer today.

The wait here is ridiculous inside and for pickup. I placed a curbside order with this exact location. I pressed on the link when I arrived. I called the woman asked me to come in regardless of it being pick up I requested it be brought to my car which is what curbside is as I was not prepared. She said she would look to see if anyone was able to do so. I wait another 5 minutes to not get anyone to come out. I called again Woman lies and says my order is for pick up not curbside She refuses to bring it out. If they weren’t gonna bring it out a call back would have been nice Instead of having me sit waiting for no reason. I’ve been to This location, millions of times Unfortunately, they always lack in service As well as food

My go to is the $7 (omelette + pancake) meal which they hide on the menu in the app/website but is still available at the location. Vegetarians can specify no meat (but they dont do no meat replacements). The location can be crowded during morning hours.

We usually visit this place late night for dessert. Never disappoints. The staff here are really nice and polite. For the amount of crowd this place attracts even past midnight, the service is pretty quick!
Nishanth K — Google review
Strong 4/5 is fair for this place. Food was somewhere good, somewhere bad, really depends on what are you ordering. Chicken, hash brown, eggs, fruits and coffee were pretty good but biscuits and French toasts were close to ruin the whole dish. Service lady was quick and attentive so I can recommend this place for fast breakfast even once they are full of people and busy.

Bang Bang Cafe, located in Belltown and its Othello sibling Bang Bang Kitchen, offers a casual counter-serve experience with a variety of options for breakfast and lunch. The menu includes enormous breakfast burritos, warm scones, house-made fennel-turkey sausage, and vegetarian choices. A popular dish is 'Shawn's Vegan Mac,' featuring macaroni noodles in creamy cheese sauce topped with seasoned breadcrumbs. Customers appreciate the commitment to staff well-being through living wages.
I stopped in for breakfast after disembarking from a cruise, and their turkey avocado sandwich hit the spot, and the side salad is big enough to be a meal on its own! It was huge, I had to take half to go. Also, the hazelnut coffee was fantastic! It can get pretty full inside during 'pops' but there is also outdoor seating and the overall vibe is very kind and friendly. Next time I'm in Seattle, I'll be back to try more!

My colleague suggested this place as she saw it was a New Mexico Mexican Cafe (which is rare to find in Seattle)! As we walked in, the atmosphere was calm, and the service was splendid! The owner greeted us and took our order! We sat outside as it was a beautiful day. I ordered the breakfast burrito with sausage, and my colleague ordered Torta Sandwich with a house salad. The food and drinks came out quickly and were beautifully presented. My burrito was warm and saucy! Unfortunately, the sausage I ordered was not in the burrito, but once I asked again, they provided it on the side. My colleague said her sandwich was great, and the dressing on the salad had a nice citrus flavor. I loved how the cafe had a variety of foods, coffee drinks, alcohol drinks, and pastries! Great suggestion, and I would definitely go again! (4 out of 5 for that missed sausage, but they fixed it right away)! Food and drinks were more pricey than I would have liked, but still a nice stop once in a while.

🔥🌮 Bang Bang in Othello — A Hidden Spot with Room to Rise I love supporting new local businesses hidden in our communities, and I was excited to try Bang Bang in Othello after a friend’s recommendation. The space itself is comfortable, warm, and inviting, with a full bar that makes it feel like a true neighborhood hangout. The highlight of my visit was the tequila experience—smooth, memorable, and introduced with genuine excitement. That moment showed me the spark of what this place can be when passion and presentation come together. What I hope for is that the same level of excitement is carried throughout the entire dining experience. The servers have the power to guide guests with joy and confidence, turning a meal into something unforgettable. While I left a little unsure about the menu, I also left believing in the potential. I truly hope Bang Bang will fire into a destination—because our city needs more local fun, more hidden gems, and more places that light up the soul. I’ll be back, ready to experience the next level.

My husband and I went here for breakfast yesterday morning for the first time. The place itself is super cute and the staff was friendly. My husband had a breakfast burrito and I had the posole and the focaccia breakfast sandwich. Everything was good, but OMG, the breakfast sandwich was one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've ever had and it'll be living rent-free in my head from now on. We don't live here, but Bang Bang will be a must-visit on future Seattle trips. Also, the pop tart was delicious- get one!

Wow, is all I can say. The avacado turkey sandwich was so tasty. Wow, the vinaigrette salad dressing was to die for. Cowboy breakfast was so good. A mix of flavors thar went well together. The iced latte with oat milk and sugar-free vanilla was so good I was very impressed and drank it all.

Before today I had only had their Moon Milk which was comforting enough to come back for another! This time I also had their chilaquiles quiche and side salad. So delicious and reminded me of comfort food back in AZ🌵. Though this was perfectly filling without being heavy and putting you into a food coma after breakfast. 🫶🏼😆 I’ll definitely be back for the baked goods.😍 And added note: Everyone was so kind, personable and patient this morning which says so much about the already welcoming atmosphere. It’s spaces like this that give me hope, everyone carries so much from all walks of life but that’s no reason to stop sharing stories that remind us why we get up in the morning. You never know who you might impact or how.💕 P.s. Their to go packaging is compostable. ☺️

Pete's Eggnest is a cozy, family-owned cafe known for its all-day breakfast and comforting dishes. The simple yet inviting space makes it a popular choice in Greenwood. Additionally, visitors can indulge in delicious cocktails while enjoying breathtaking views at The Nest, a rooftop bar located in Seattle.
I’m on a business trip in Seattle and stopped by Pete’s Eggnest for breakfast. The Swedish pancakes I ordered were delicious! The interior and atmosphere of the restaurant were great, and the staff was very friendly. Highly recommended!

I really wanted to love this place but our experience here wouldn’t let us. The staff were friendly and it felt like a cozy, family owned restaurant. I will note that we went on Saturday during prime brunch time, so they were busy. The food generally looked really good too. HOWEVER, our food was served cold/room temp (at best). Moreover, we had a long wait between standard events (sit down, taking our order, getting the food, getting the check, and paying). It looked like there were not enough staff for the restaurant. Moreover, it also didn’t look like tasks were being delegated appropriately. It might seem like I’m focusing on small events, but there were many things like this that all added up to a generally chaotic and disorganized environment. Also, the food was overpriced. Yes, this is Seattle (and almost everything here is overpriced). But this place was DEFINITELY over priced. I ordered a waffle (which was a good size but not that big) with two eggs and four sausage links. Total for that was $23 (before tax/tip). Overall, the experience was disorganized/chaotic with food served cold, and prices that were too high.

This place is awesome! Gives such a cozy family style restaurant feel. Prices are incredibly reasonable for how much food you get. Mexican breakfast was so good! Parking was very easy and the service was excellent.

I’ve lived in Seattle for 8 years and my one consistent joys has been breakfast at Pete’s Eggnest in Greenwood. Great food, and the team here just make you feel at home every time. It’s like breakfast with friends, even when you are on your own!

Pete's Eggnest is a regular and usually great spot for us. However, my latest visit was a letdown due to the service. When ordering scrambled eggs with ham (no cheese) for my friend, the waitress's tone felt condescending. We also experienced slow service, even though it wasn't a busy day, and an uncomfortable stare when leaving a tip. This was a disappointing experience compared to our usual positive visits.
Nature — Google review
The ownership may have changed but the quality of food and friendliness has not. Fabulous breakfast... Best Chicken Fried Steak I've had in awhile with excellent potatoes. The coffee is top notch and overflowing. And I appreciate the kind staff who are quick to boot. The only tricky part is parking, but Pete's is with the trouble.
J G — Google review
Food was great. When we arrived, there were a few small parties ahead of us. They prepared for a large party that arrived after us, before we were seated (not great). We got the breakfast burrito, Swedish pancakes, and a special (Elvis pancakes)—all were delicious. We got coffee, strawberry lemonade, and chai latte (special). The chai was literally a glass of milk with a splash of chai—we asked for more chai and had to mix the drink ourselves.

Returned to Seattle - ate here in 2016, & again today!!! The food was exquisite. This BRUNCH is on fire. The right amount of FRESH food. Farm to table ingredients! This was such a gift experience for breakfast. 100% one of the best brunches I’ve had on tour! Real maple syrup!! Chicken sausage / poached eggs!

Stopped in here for brunch while visiting the Capitol Hill neighborhood and was extremely satisfied with the savoryness of our food choices. I had the special: bacon, avocado and pepper jack omelette and it was seriously so delicious. My partner had the egg and arugala sandwich and it was also pretty tasty. But the jam OMG, the jam. Best ever. And the bloody Mary also hit the spot, with a tasty pickled carrot. A 100% satisfying brunch! I thought it was kind of funny: the music they were playing in the background, every-single-song was about whiskey or had the word whiskey in it. I was laughing, but could not convince my partner to do whiskey shots at breakfast.

Years ago I remember this place being awesome but that is not the case anymore. I can't comment on the food because we did not stay to find out. The glass I got for a Mimosa was crusted on the outside and coated in crumbly white powder. When I raised this to.the host they tried to gaslight me into believing it was part of the drink and offered no apology. We cancelled our order, left, and will not return.

It was a busy Farmers Market out front (big plus) Sunday on Capitol Hill and we got seated immediately for brunch @1:30. Service was attentive, pleasant and fast. The hot chocolate was the best I’ve ever had - rich, flavorful and a nice hint of cinnamon. The french toast also 10/10 made with rustic bread and generously topped with what tasted like a compote of fresh picked blueberries, raspberries etc. Asked for a side of scrambled eggs also way above average. Recommend and will return. Thank you, Americana!
Annebbtide — Google review
First time eating at this place.. something different for me. I will definitely eat here again if I'm around the area.. French toast wasn't my favorite they too crunchy and dry. The blueberry pancakes 🥞 were very good 👍 a little over price. Didn't expect to pay over $100 for just two people.
Hugo C — Google review
TL;DR The food was decent enough, just not worth a special trip. We ordered the Americana Benedict, french toast and the east coast. First, the eggs of the benedict were over cooked (not runny)…this diminished the overall enjoyment of the dish, but the other parts (specifically the sauce) was unique and flavorful. Next, the French toast was well cooked, however the fruit compote at over ripened (mushy) - so if you like fruit sauce this is good, but if you want fruit pieces, then pass on this dish. Lastly was the East Coast. It delivered as promised. The capers were salty, which in conjunction with the salmon hit all of the flavor notes. Just be aware that dish is big/dense… so if you’re wanting something lighter this could become a shareable dish.

Anchorhead Coffee offers a unique and bold experience with its matte black, Berlin basement nightclub-inspired locations. The emphasis on full-bodied natural process coffee sets it apart from other specialty coffee shops in Seattle. In addition to their distinct roasts, they also offer unique pastries like the seasonal pistachio matcha croissant. Despite the onyx coffee cave aesthetic, Anchorhead maintains a welcoming atmosphere that makes it easy to cozy into.
I’ve officially dropped anchor at Anchorhead Coffee — and I’m never setting sail again. This was the coffee shop around the corner from our hotel and I couldn't have been more lucky! Their espresso is the real captain here: bold, smooth, and steady enough to keep any coffee lover afloat. The vanilla latte? A total dreamboat. Make it a quad shot vanilla latte and you will be in total heaven.

My wife was really excited about coming here. Came on a Sunday morning around 930. Line was wrapped around the inside. I think there was some type of convention so it was busy. The line moved very fast though. The workers were so nice and seemed happy even tough it was crazy. We both got a hot coffee ; I got a matcha latte and added vanilla syrup which was good. We also got a pastry and a sandwich and they heat it up for you. Very good. There was seating inside and some outside. There is a restroom as well.

The Ugly Mug Cafe is a popular hangout for students and locals alike, offering a variety of hot-mug drinks like mochas and a selection of American eats. Established in 1995, this cafe has become an institution in the early Seattle cafe culture. The atmosphere is described as hipster with low ceilings and eclectic decor, creating a cozy vibe. While seating may be limited, it's a cool, artsy space perfect for studying or catching up with friends over coffee.
Lovely cozy cafe, staff are super friendly and fast. Coffee was delicious and well priced. There is very limited seating so don’t go expecting to sit, and make sure you are paying attention to what’s being put out because they sometimes don’t call orders loudly. 9/10 - Absolutely gem of a find (right outside of U district station), great place to stop by for a coffee.

A small quaint cafe near the light rail, so it's in a pretty convenient spot. It was busy when I came in the morning but it didn't take long to get my order. My girlfriend and I went with the breakfast croissant and it was pretty damn good. I got ham and she got turkey. We also ordered a chai tea latte and a Mexican mocha. Both were strong and great. I definitely recommend coming here ☺️.

With some time to kill in the U District, a friend and I are in search of coffee. I see the 4.6 rating of Ugly Mug Cafe, hundreds of reviews, and say this has gotta be the place. And let me tell you, when approaching the outside of the building, my heart sank a bit. It’s just as bland as the name implies. But the inside is another story—it’s homey, comforting, bright. I got the blackberry something latte on the special menu and it was unlike anything I’ve had before. My friend got a breakfast sandwich which was large enough to be worth the price, a rare sight in this city. Overall, I absolutely recommend. It lives up to its good reviews. 2024 update: Still love this cafe. When looking for coffee in the U-District, this is my go-to.

A little hard to find, but well worth it! I got the butterscotch latte and egg croissant sandwich with avocado and my husband got the salmon lox bagel sandwich. I had to savor my latte wishing I got the bigger size because it was so tasty, and the croissant had a wonderful sauce or aioli on it that was so good!

Great tasting coffee. Not recommended for families since this is a small cafe with limited seatings. Also not accessible friendly, there are a few step to get here. Prices are good, staff are friendly. No parking nearby. This mostly services the university next door.

Nestled in the vibrant stretch of Greenwood Avenue, North Star Diner is a delightful haven for comfort food lovers and night owls alike. This 24-hour diner boasts an inviting atmosphere with its glittery vinyl booths and quirky decor, including walls adorned with astronaut portraits. Whether you're craving classic breakfast fare like fluffy buttermilk pancakes or hearty lunch options such as meatloaf and crabby bacon melts on grilled sourdough, this eclectic menu has something to satisfy every palate at any hour.
Server: Wolfgang We are visiting from California, and stopped here for breakfast and from the second we arrived, we were greeted, seated and order was taken and delived within 15 minutes. They offer a great portion of food, and coffee, our waiter was the greeter, the waiter and the cashier - he was awesome! I had French toast combo plate, my husband had biscuits and gravy combo plate. Highly recommend this great spot!

Nice place with great service. We tried the pancakes with eggs and bacon and the chicken fried steak. This was the biggest chicken fried steak I have had in that price range. This tasted pretty good as well and would definitely come back for this. The pancakes were pretty good and fluffy as well. In general they have huge portion sizes, the coffee cup in itself was pretty big, more the size of a soup bowl which may not be the best thing to serve coffee in. Overall a great place and definitely worth the visit.

A Saturday morning out with family. We were looking for a diner. North Star was on our list to try. Parking was a little challenging - worked out. Out wait was short. Restaurant is a big room. Still, it was comfortable. There are booths and tables. It was busy and loud. Menu was wonderful with breakfast and lunch options. Food quality was great. Service was fine. And, prices were OK. I'd come back to the North Star.

This unique diner offers a delightful atmosphere and aesthetic. The friendly staff and delicious mimosas make it worth the visit. The Caprese omelette was filling and delicious, while the chicken fried steak was large but well-done. The fresh daily biscuits were excellent. The coffee came in a large soup mug, and the Irish coffee was good. The booths are fixed in place, so it’s not ideal for larger bodies. We recommend it and will return, though my partner might skip the chicken fried steak. I’ll definitely get the Caprese omelette again.

I got the Big Dipper with the French toast and it was banging! I would even say that the Big Dipper could feed two people. Definitely recommend. Our waiter was exceptional—super attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. I loved the whole space theme. I was just browsing the astronaut wall while I waited for my food. You can pay to park behind the building or just find street parking.

Server: Grandpa Pants Thank you for being a great waitress. I think that was the best service I have ever had when it comes to waitressing. The food did not only taste very good but the portion sizes were huge. I enjoyed this place very much! I also liked how you guys had anime playing on one tv and sonic the hedgehog on the other tv. Unlike most places just play the news or the weather. If we ever come back to Seattle we will try this place out again.

Good food, i got the french toast combo and my friend got the pancake combo and both were delicious. The drinks were also really good. Big portions and good prices. Only reason Is a 4 star is because the music was really loud for a diner setting and it gave me a really bad headache

Oh man, I love this place. From the food to the atmosphere to the service, everything is amazing. It was recommended a few years back by a friend who used to live nearby. Glad we finally went. Heh one person at our table got the chicken fried steak. Woah! That was the biggest CFS I have seen in a while. It has one of the best country style gravies ever.

Café Hitchcock is a chic eatery that captures the essence of farm-to-table dining, nestled on Bainbridge Island and accessible via a scenic thirty-minute ferry ride. The café boasts an inviting atmosphere, especially during dinner when candlelight creates a warm ambiance. Guests can indulge in house-cured meats and seasonal dishes that highlight fresh produce, all crafted to please even the pickiest of diners.
Rarely do I feel like a sandwich is something to write a review about, but this place deserves it. Both the egg/red pepper/arugula and the egg/ham/brie/arugula are phenomenal. Coffee is fantastic too.

Staff was friendly and seemed genuinely eager to answer questions. The coffee was beyond expectation. A full arsenal of flavors. The sandwich was outstanding. The crust on the bread was crunchy, the bread soft and warm with a delicate toasting to it. The bacon was thick and meaty. The eggs perfectly cooked into a pillow. My only regret was finding this place on my last day in Seattle.
Brian W — Google review
I cannot believe I just paid $26 for a good coffee, great fresh cookie and a dry flavorless chewy tofu (not in a good way) salad. And, as is the trend these days, the system starts at 20% tip for counter service. He literally pointed me at a self serve rack. Will def return for coffee, as a food venue it’s disappointing at 11am on a Tuesday. Maybe other food is better but the premade weak cabbage salad was super overpriced - was expecting a properly tossed and freshly plated salad at that price point.
Mahalie S — Google review
For some reason at 4pm they had no coffee of any kind and a “popup” menu. I ordered a mushroom grilled sandwich and it took about 20 min to arrive. Bread was a little burned and the meal was mediocre. I am not sure if it comes with cheese but I couldn’t detect any. Still likely a good spot for coffee based on reviews but it seems they don’t serve coffee all day?

That Focaccia though. Amazing Sandwiches. Gave me a refill on my iced tea. The vibes are good but for some reason the place feels a bit sterile. More color, plants, and art would help. Overall though I will definitely be back! Thanks for the lunch 💜
Dale — Google review
The shop has a nice atmosphere and a very clean, modern aesthetic. The americano I had was quite good. I also enjoyed the service from the Brazilian barista. She was quite friendly and easygoing. I thought the bacon on the chicken club was delectable. I am knocking two stars off due to price and portion. I realize restaurants are struggling due to inflation, but $17 for a small sandwich with a very wimpy slice of tomato and five pieces of lettuce seemed just ridiculous.

Smell is amazing, great options, food tastes amazing.. Because everything is cooked to order it took over 15 minutes for a breakfast sandwich.. well worth the wait, but make sure you are not in a rush.. one star deducted for the wait. also good selection of coffee and adult beverages.. sign up for their frequent customer program and save some $../

Cafe
Bagel Oasis is a casual cafe that serves classic bagel flavors, along with sandwiches, omelets, and espresso drinks. While the interior and vibe may need an update, the quality of the bagels remains excellent. The cafe also offers flavored cream cheese for purchase. However, dining in may leave something to be desired as the space is mostly empty and food is served on disposable plates and containers.
I was a bit nervous given recent reviews but I love me a good NY bagel. They did not disappoint, both were toasted to perfection and plenty of cream cheese. I had a onion bagel w/ fetta, garlic & dill flavored cream cheese and it was just as pungent flavorful as I'd hoped. Hubby had a Everything bagel w/ lox flavored cream cheese. Although delicious I wouldn't say it gave the lox experience. Which is totally ok, just know that going into it. I don't love the prices, however given the cost of overhead I understand it.
Broken B — Google review
The vibe was off when I walked in the door to what feels like an old diner with 2024 prices. The two line situation (one for here and one to go) was convoluted, the service was quick and friendly but the food is pricy for what you receive. I ordered an everything bagel with lox schmear and received a salt bagel with lox schmear. When I let them know they made me my correct order immediately, however, my bagel wasn’t toasted. It was good I suppose but nothing remarkable. The everything seasoning was slightly muted. My kids enjoyed their plain bagels. I wish them the best of luck, there were enough people coming and going that I know they will survive. A couple a tweaks and they could be thriving.
Colleen C — Google review
Customer was amazing, very nice staff. only complaints was the food and the pricing. one bagel (bagel, tomato, pepper), was $15, and not the best flavor overall. The meal overall felt sad, and lifeless. The meal felt like a sad summer camp meal, but with the pricing of a fancy dinner.
Finley — Google review
I have high bagel standards growing up with NY bagels, but Bagel Oasis gets a 8/10 for me! I went for the sourdough bagel, which was the only bagel in the case that seemed to be the right amount of fluffy. I tried an everything bagel to see if there was a difference, and it was way more dense and crunchy than I want in a bagel. The sourdough bagel was near perfect - had a crunchy bite, but fluffy interior and delicious flavored cream cheese. It was satisfying and I wasn't disappointed. I'd recommend the sourdough bagel over the other types though. Will definitely be back to have it again!
S B — Google review
Got a salt bagel with lox schmear. The bagel, perfect untoasted. The schmear tasted like it had once heard of lox. About as flavorful as a lacroix. If you're going to charge me three bucks for Shamir make it good. I also got a cup of coffee. The coffee was fine but the cup and lid didn't actually seal so it just leaked hot coffee all over my hand and car. If I'm in the neighborhood I might come back and get just plain bagels for takeout, because everything else they offer is deeply mid while the bagels are great
Noah C — Google review
Pleasant, bright interior in 1930s Ravenna neighborhood business district a mile north of University of Washington campus. Attentive, friendly counter staff. Flavorful bagels, but lox schmear didn’t have much flavor of the mix-in (garlic/dill was better) and cream cheese in both seemed like it was from the Kraft Philadelphia box. Perhaps true of many shops, but these days there are also plenty with homemade cream cheese, a step up. Chocolate malt iced latte innovative and tasty. Veggie pesto omelette was flavorful with plenty of broccoli, peppers, and other fill. All in all a decent spot, and would hit it again if in the neighborhood and hungry, but not as a destination bite.
David H — Google review
I've been going to bagel oasis for the past two years and have loved it ever since I set foot in it. If you're looking for an authentic NY bagel experience in Seattle this is the place to go! Getting a dozen and a tub or two of cream cheese is a must. Love getting a flavored schmear and taking to the park nearby too!!
John F — Google review
I love bagels from bagel oasis! I also love to buy their flavored cream cheese for use at home. Their food is tasty and delicious, but dining in leaves something to be desired. The space is mostly empty and when ordering in you still receive your food on a paper plate in a plastic container with the side and pickle individually wrapped- I was disappointed in the amount of waste generated from eating in. This space is better suited for a quick drop-in (ordering to-go).

Saint Bread is a bakery and cafe located in a former boat-building facility behind the UW campus. The establishment boasts a team of talented bakers, including Michael Sanders of Plane Bread and pastry expert Randi Rachlow. The menu features globally inspired dishes such as teriyaki turnips over toasted farro, fried egg sandwich with American cheese on melonpan, broiled salmon on rice bowls, Japanese melonpan, yuzu polenta cake, and cardamom croissants.
What a wonderful spot to grab a breakfast sandwich and many other tasty items. Lovely outdoor seating and ordering is very convenient and fast. My favorite was the fried egg sandwich which I had to replace the bun and add sausage/bacon for. I ordered their animal style fries, which were pretty good but I would say it’s a serving size for at least 3 to 4 people. I’d give the breakfast sandwich, a five out of five and fries a four out of five.
Alex N — Google review
Mind blowing baked goods (danish was to die for), good sandwiches (we had a Fried Egg sandwich with extra sausage and mushrooms, and it was good but not great - lacked flavor and sauce, buns were awesome though). Coffee (latte on almond milk) was good (they use Proud Mary beans) - 8/10, matcha was good too 7/10. Lots of seating available. Line is a bit long but moves fast.
MAXIM P — Google review
We’ve been wanting to come for a while, so impressed with the quality, vibe, and service considering the place. It’s in an old, I assume, boat house. Two outdoor areas to eat, one with water view. Looks like behind they have an event space too. I had their signature brown sugar toast and a pastry. Both delicious. Highly recommend but get there early, it does sell out and the lines can be long. Pet and kid friendly .
Kristen M — Google review
So yummy! I had their avocado toast with a fried egg added, a cardamom bun and black coffee. The bread for the avocado toast was very thick and a very nice grainy, nutty flavor to it. The lemon and za’atar seasoning on the avocado added the perfect flavor to it. The cardamom bun was so yummy, this is great if you want something a little sweet but not too sweet. The coffee was perfect- I typically only add cream and sugar to coffee if the flavor is mediocre, but this coffee was already so good that I didn’t need to add anything to it. I definitely want to come back and try more things on their menu.

A nice spot to relax after walking from UW. I ordered the cheeseburger with a fried egg. The meat was juicy and every bite was satisfying. The staff were friendly and the service was great. Semi-outdoor seating adds to the chill vibe.

This place practically has a cult following. The only time there isn’t a line out the door is when they are closed! The menu is globally inspired- definitely with an Asian lean. I had the breakfast sandwich on melon pan with bacon. The extras kind of add up, but… it was delicious. I’m glad to see they have expanded their gluten free offerings. When I went there years ago, there wasn’t much my gf mother could have.

So good!!! Amazing bakery and great location with outdoor seating. Expect long lines on the weekends but so worth it, their coffee is Proud Mary, an amazing roaster from Portland. Recommend the avocado toast and melonpans

Came in on a Saturday and although there were a few groups ahead of me, it only took a few minutes to get my order in. Even though it was busy, Kimberly was really helpful/friendly when I asked for recommendations. I ordered several things and all were 10/10. My favorite was the Danish Dream Cake. Took it back to my office and ate it embarrassingly fast 😮‍💨

Hood Famous Cafe + Bar is a vibrant and inviting counter-serve space located in the International District. It has gained local fame for its Filipino-inspired baked goods, coffee, and specialty drinks. The cafe is known for infusing Filipino flavors into their offerings, such as the signature ube cheesecake, ube latte, and ube cookies. In addition to sweet treats, they also offer savory items like bitter melon quiche.
Although we like cooking at home we always visit and support Filipino restaurants when out of town. Hood Famous delivers on taste, flavor and presentation! The chicken arroz caldo is luscious and comforting, with the toppings of crispy fried garlic and the thin chicken skin added an interesting and great contrast to the creaminess of the rice. The tapsilog and longsilog (beef tapa and longganisa patties were perfectly cooked and cooked. They were tender and flavorful. The desserts and drinks were equally delicious and provided a satisfying way to end our meal. The crew is amazing and friendly, and the chefs and cooks obviously know what they are doing and serving. The quality of the food and service is worthy of more stars than this platform can offer. The space is spotless and the vibe very upbeat without being loud. Great place to bring family and friends to! Pro tip: Visit the sauce bar they have next to the counter to make your own dipping sauce with the variety of vinegars and sauces they are offering for free. The Lakan hot sauce and banana ketchup will make your palate dance!

Perfect location for brunch on a Sunday! My colleague and I stopped here as we had heard good reviews about this Filipino cafe! It did not disappoint! I tried their Ube Ice Latte, and it was the perfect blend of sweetness and expresso! I would highly recommend this drink! For brunch, I ordered the Pork Menudo (which is a tomato based pork dish with a side of rice). It was my first time trying it, and it was decent. The tomato taste was strong, which was not something I was used to. My colleague ordered the Longsilog, which was different from the normal sausage Longsilog he was used to. Service was amazing, and they were quick. The waitress accidentally spilled a bit of my latte but cleaned it up right away. I'd recommend anyone trying out this cafe if they want to try a Filipino cafe!
Carol V — Google review
This place is awesome. I rolled in a little after opening on a Thursday and it was pretty quiet. I ordered at the kiosk, grabbed a number, and sat at a table with a convenient outlet for my laptop charger. I easily connected to their free Wi-Fi (which is apparently not available on weekends — be warned). I started with a chicken arroz caldo with crispy chicken skin and a poached egg plus a pandan Italian soda. The arroz caldo is fantastic! Warm, hearty, and texturally interesting, it's comfort in a bowl. The add-ons are non-negotiable, in my opinion. The pandan Italian soda is also tasty and unique, though a coffee lover would probably just prefer a pandan latte. I enjoyed my food and sipped on my drink for a couple hours while I got some work done. The cafe picked up a little as the morning went on but it stayed relatively quiet and pleasant. Around lunchtime, I ordered a longsilog (basically a breakfast plate with Filipino pork sausage patties). I also added a mung bean patty to give it a try. When it arrived, I topped it off with some chili crisp and went to town. Wow! Explosion of flavor. The pork sausage is unbelievably juicy and tender. It's perfect with some runny egg yolk and a bit of rice. The greens and pickled veggies add a nice crunch and kick of acidity. The mung bean patty is a little less exciting — a bit dry and without a ton of flavor. But if you're not a meat eater, it's a decent alternative! I finished my meal and then ordered an assortment of pastries to go. They have a huge variety of unique flavor combinations! Several of them are classic Filipino sweets that you'd be hard pressed to find elsewhere in Seattle, so it was really cool to try them. The cheesecake is one of their specialities, so I got several varieties to try. Pro tip: you should really enjoy these cold. Once they warm up to room temperature, their flavors dull significantly. My favorites are the Vietnamese coffee and white chocolate guava, but the ube is also rich and unique. A few other standouts for me are the turon cream puff, the black sesame roll, the mango peach empanada, the bibingka corn muffin, and the beef mechado pocket. If you're a fan of less sweet desserts, you'll probably really enjoy the ube pianono cake slice, the cassava cake, and the biko. Overall, I can't recommend this place highly enough. The hot dine-in foods, hot or iced drinks, savory pastries, and sweet desserts are all flawlessly prepared in their own ways.
Kyle C — Google review
Super cute Filipino coffee shop with unique drinks (iced matcha with lilikoi), ube latte. Their mini cheesecakes were delicious with fun flavors like POG and white chocolate guava. I wasn’t the biggest fan of the lilikoi matcha…the flavors just weren’t my favorite. But everything else was good. They have a cute store with various Filipino goodies like chocolate, children’s books and soap.
Rhodes F — Google review
I love this cafe! It’s very cute inside and the food, dessert and drinks were very good! The ube drink has enough sweetness and ube flavour as most I’ve had from other cafes lack ube flavour. We came back three times during our trip! I also appreciate that they had the syrups for sale which are great for those who live far away. By some chance I visit Seattle again, I would definitely come back.
Jing Z — Google review
While visiting Chinatown, we came across this wonderful Cafe that served Filipino cuisine. There was a line, but it moved along pretty quickly. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about their food. We ordered several items so that we could sample each other's dishes as well as a few of their signature drinks. They do have a dine in area, but also noticed that you can get your food to go. Highly recommended, go check them out! Salamat!

Quick stop before taking Amtrak out of town. I was impressed by the tranquil, unhurried, yet friendly, efficient service. This place has a wide variety of items with a separate food area from drinks. There is also a cultural selection of gift items, photos of the history. Seating inside was comfortable and arranged for small groups. There was far too much on the menu to sample in one trip. Please consider this for a peaceful cultural break. Delicious!

Most humble people working here. Had tomato soup cup and the cheddar chive scone veggie frittata and Swiss sandwich. Portions were amazing for price. My jaw was on the floor with how delicious these items were. Best tomato soup I’ve ever had, and I try it everywhere I go. And the sandwich? Great ratio of all the toppings. I can’t wait to come back!

Cute cafe with lots of seating, old school like they used to have with lots of tables, a bar for people watching and a nice patio. Black and white photos of middle eastern movie stars on the wall, a stack of board games, and gorgeous pastries in the cold case. Mocha was not too sweet, and the bacon, Swiss and frittata sandwich with avocado on a cheddar chive scone was one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've had in a while: lots of fresh avocado and a delicious chipotle sauce.

Amazing find in Ballard for a breakfast or lunch stop! Menu ranges from sweet - waffles - to savory - also waffles, and sandwiches and plates. Lebanese menu includes some incredible options that aren’t standard cafe fare - eggs qawarama for example is worth six stars if I was able! Get some Lebanese coffee and then take some of the baked goods to go. This place is delicious and the service is amazing - friendly!

Best breakfast secret in Ballard. The eggs & bacon combo is my go to. High protein (42 grams) and low carb for 10 bucks! The toast is made from homemade bread and toasted to perfection. Coffee is excellent, staff are friendly and welcoming, and it’s a nice unpretentious vibe.

Loved the food, drinks & vibes. Staff super friendly. Great prices Amazing sandwich - flavor, especially the bread & sauce with the filling. Hot mocha salted caramel with coconut milk hit the spot (like extra fancy hot chocolate). Baklava would take to go next time (eyes bigger than stomach- it's a huge slice). Can't wait to return & try more options. Tucked a little away from main street so not as busy.

Salt and Sugar Cafe has been a favorite for years. Definitely miss living nearby. Finally made it back, and it's just as amazing as always. Friendly service, delicious food and drinks, cozy and well-lit space with lots of seating. Have tried waffles, sandwiches, and breakfast plates, and it has always been on point. Board games for those interested. You can't beat their prices, and they actually have options for tea drinkers. Highly recommend if you dine in that you pick up pastries to go like the baklava (which is perfect and not too sweet). I would choose this cafe over other more well-known places for breakfast/brunch any day.

Tasty and unique. I had a matcha waffle with green tea ice cream. The waffle was pretty filling and the icecream was good quality. You can pick 3 toppings, and they have good options like mochi, fruity pebbles, and pocky. The whole thing is large and good for sharing. You will need to eat it there because it is too messy to walk with. The rose milk tea was very good with quality tapioca. Macarons are lacking and have a kind of weird chemical taste and the consistency is not quite right. Environment is relaxed and looks like a typical modern frozen yogurt shop or similar.

The best Bubble Tea in downtown for sure. Not the best Bubble Tea in Seattle though. Convenient location so I'll be back for sure. Bubble tea was a little heavy on the milk flavor, could use some stronger tea maybe. Tried a macaroon and I don't think I'll be buying anymore. Would rather go to Le Panier for a macaroon. We tried a bubble waffle wth ice cream. That was tasty.

Awesome biscuits. Had the cheesy gritty gravy biscuit (probably not word for word from the menu). Wish I could've eaten it inside, but there are tables and chair on the sidewalk, which turned out to make for a nice morning. The area is a little questionable...not dangerous though. Security hangs out nearby, and I never felt threatened...Just including this for families with kids. No ding on the restaurant's rating!!

Overall pretty tasty food. I found the biscuit to be good, especially for a gluten free biscuit. The gravy was also good. And for ~$10 it was a decent breakfast option. Dining partner had the regular biscuit and gravy and preferred the gluten free mushroom gravy. Seating is outside and kind of difficult to find. You have to hover awkwardly. You have to show your id to get the food. If you need a quick snack while in the area I’d check it out, if you are looking to get breakfast and spend some time then I’d skip it.

I really wanted to love this place, but unfortunately, the biscuit just didn’t do it for me. I ordered the hot link sandwich, and while the hot links were definitely spicy (which I usually enjoy), the sandwich itself was pretty dry. I think if I had added some gravy on the side, it might’ve been more enjoyable. One thing I did appreciate is the ordering system you scan a QR code to place your order, and they’ll text you when it’s ready. That gives you the freedom to explore the area a bit while you wait, which is a nice touch. Just a heads-up: the wait can get long, so I’d recommend ordering online ahead of time and picking it up if you’re in a hurry. Outdoor seating is limited. If you have kids just know they do say the ‘B’ word when greeting you. The staff was great the worker who helped me was absolutely hilarious and really made my day. Still, I didn’t quite understand the hype around the food. If you’re a die-hard biscuit fan, it’s probably worth a try. But if biscuits aren’t your thing, this might be one to skip.
Tiffany A — Google review
A bit overpriced for a crumbly biscuit. Had to order off QR code and staff was a bit rude about not being able to take an order and to use the QR code to order. Ordered utensils and were told they were in the bag, they were not. Also, biscuits were VERY crumbly and messy. I also don't appreciate a 20% tip being auto added when I had to order on my own using a QR code.
Ben T — Google review
Definitely order ahead makes the wait quick and easy. The food is definitely worth waiting for 10/10 recommend. Thanks B

I paid quite a lot of money for my INCREDIBLY disappointing meal! Although the biscuitwas HUGE and the service friendly, the quality of food is abysmal at best. The biscuit was burnt and the eggs and gravy where disgusting and bland. I will never eat here again! Not too mention the prices are way too high (but that's more of a testiment to the skyrocketing cost of living than anything)

We enjoyed a brisk walk in 60 degree weather he got the hotness and I got the sausage egg and cheese biscuit

The visor is so fun. There’s very limited seating you can order out a window and stand around and wait to pick it up or you can order ahead. The best part is if you give them a fun name, they yell it out when your order is ready…. The staff was fun. It’s definitely a lot of girl power here.

Restaurant
Sisters and Brothers is a popular spot known for its Nashville hot chicken and other Southern-inspired dishes. The restaurant offers a range of heat levels for their hot chicken, from mild to extremely spicy. On weekends, customers can enjoy the famous hot chicken and waffles while playing vintage video games at the tables. The place is also praised for its fried chicken sandwiches. Sisters and Brothers is described as a family affair where love is cooked into each piece of chicken.
Delightfully bizarre. I appreciated the excellent Southern food (being from Nashville, myself). The atmosphere was ... well, 80s state fair/basement den kitsch? Like if Pee-Wee and Macho Man Randy Savage opened a restaurant. It must be seen to be believed. The locals at the bar were chatty and welcoming. They raved about the catfish! The bartender was running the whole joint and doing it well. Drinks were great, and the music was perfect. I'm definitely adding it to my permanent must-do for whenever I visit Seattle. My only wish is that they were open later!

Located near the scenic Elliott Bay in Seattle, I decided to check out this spot after hearing it’s one of the best places in the city for hot chicken. The restaurant has a cool retro vibe, and I appreciated the thoughtful touches like board games for groups. There’s also a bar area with a projector set up for game screenings, which added to the laid-back atmosphere. For my meal, I ordered the regular 3-piece tenders with hand-cut fries. Right off the bat, the chicken coating was flavorful and incredibly crunchy. Despite the heat level, the spices didn’t overpower the taste, the flavors still came through nicely. The chicken was cooked perfectly: tender and moist on the inside. The only downside was the service, which felt sluggish, especially considering there was only one other customer in the restaurant at the time.
Anil K — Google review
The texture and flavors were overwhelming. Just a tip the greens were a tad too salty for me, but some rice and lemon juice or vinegar could cure that. portions enormous and heavy on richness. same owner for over 30 years. staff was friendly and accommodating.

Probably the best chicken I’ve ever had. Stopped to write this review after 3 bites. The atmosphere is very chill, feels like you’re at your auntie’s, especially with all the Knick-knacks lol. Glen was very courteous and took the time to explain the menu to me. A+ for Glen and A+ for the cooks who made the food.

Easily the best fried chicken I’ve ever eaten! Amazing portion sizes! The flavours will blow your mind. Super crisp and very spicy! Must visit spot

Omg so goood! Loved everything we tried: mac&cheese w/bacon (it’s pork belly!) dark meat plate with Seattle Hot spice, dank fried pickles, delicious fried green tomatoes, got the the tenders with Nashville hot and oooooh boy so good flavor wise, definitely not for the faint of spicy heart! But the flavors were not overshadowed by the spice somehow! And all the sauces are amazing too, that malt aioli! YUM! Very cool atmosphere, excellent staff (Glenn crushed it) we will definitely be back!! Lots of food so beware you will need a good nap afterwards 😍🔥

Soooo beyond disappointed. I can only assume their average review is from the past, but as it presently stands avoid this place. We initially wanted to go because they had hush puppies! One of my favorite foods and can’t find it out here. Anyways… Only one server. He can’t be blamed, did his absolute best to keep everything moving in there. Props to him for being honest and trying his best. The food was… so disappointing. First of all, no hush puppies, the entire reason we chose to go here. No Mac and cheese. Fries came out cold and weren’t good even when hot. The catfish was okay (not super fresh tasting), but the batter was so thick and overcooked and greasy. Just crumbled right off first bite. Was true of the chicken as well. Okra was fine. Green tomatoes were fine. Nothing worth any amount of praise and extremely overpriced. Maybe it was just an off night, but seeing so many other reviews with similar experiences makes me think this place has some deeper problems. If the food had been good the decor would have been quirky and charming, but now it just feels creepy and gross. Currently sitting on the toilet and not feeling great. Would not recommend and would actively discourage.
Daniel S — Google review
got the Nashville Hot Chicken & Waffles this was pretty interesting because it consisted of two completely separate foods with complete opposite flavor profiles starting with the chicken - I ordered the Nashville Hot spice level, which was the second highest spice level you can get. The first and most obvious thing about the chicken was that it was spicy. Like really spicy. That has to be the spiciest chicken I've ever had and it's not close. I was still able to finish both tenders without adding any extra sauce (the waffles helped) but my mouth was on fire at the end - I had to get in some ice cream While normally I like spicy food - I can't say I liked this spice as much because it seemed more like spice caked on to the breading as the seasoning itself - kind of like the only point of the breading was to be spicy. I didn't taste many other flavors in there. This made the eating experience of the chicken not super enjoyable as I didn't really enjoy each bite as much as I was just getting through it To add to this, the breading was nice and crispy, but it didn't attach to the chicken as well as I would like. It frequently peeled off the meat itself. It also didn't quite have the oily texture of good fried chicken - was a bit dry As far as the meat itself - I thought it was fine - nothing special but also nothing too bad. The thing that I really liked was the portion sizes of the chicken. While it wasn't super easy to get through, I did like the fact that the chicken filled me up I really appreciated the spice level in the chicken - but wish the breading was better and had more different flavors Get this if you're really craving spicy food The second part of this meal were the waffles - which were astoundingly good The waffle was soft but had real weight to it - each bite had a depth of dough that was fantastic In addition, the whiskey butter and maple syrup made the entire thing a truly amazing sweet experience It complimented the chicken so well - adding an excellent side flavor to each bite The way I would eat this is by cutting a piece of the waffle off, and either putting it in my mouth and taking a bite of the chicken or combining pieces of both onto a fork and eating it that way. The waffle's sweetness made the chicken tenders tolerable and significantly improved the overall experience The fried egg was fine Overall: Chicken was a 6.5/10, Waffles were a 9/10, so total 7.75/10

Hattie's Hat Restaurant is a beloved local cafe in Seattle, offering three meals a day along with drinks and live events in a funky and cozy setting. The vintage sailed-around-the-cape mahogany bar adds to the charm of this timeless establishment, where patrons can enjoy a kickass diner menu and immerse themselves in the laid-back atmosphere. With affordable and satisfying food options, Hattie's Hat is cherished by locals as a hallowed place with prime bathroom graffiti.
One of my favorite food stops in ballard and one of the few that is open late! Breakfast is absolutely delicious and plenty of options for everyone. Late night menu has perfect comfort food and a nice range of drinks. All the staff is lovely but Brandon is a gem!

Classic long standing neighborhood icon still serving up great food and drinks. Our bartender was friendly and helpful and we enjoyed our first meal in Ballard here. Came back later for the bread pudding to go!

A friend and his son came to visit Seattle and asked me to lunch. They also said I should pick the place…ummm thanks. My brain was scrambled so I grabbed my phone and searched for “old restaurants in Ballard” and at the top of this list was Hattie’s Hat. Established in 1904 as the Old Home Saloon it became a restaurant in the 1930s – 1940s. It serves breakfast and lunch throughout the day and dinner in the evening. I had the challah French toast, which was very good! The service and atmosphere were fantastic.

This place was built during the Old Testament or something (1904). Awesome. I came here with my sister and cousin. I recommend. We ordered a million sides and dishes, it wasn’t even an outrageous price. Our waitress was very nice. FOOD: NOTHING bad to say about it. I reccomend the bagel sandwich (as shown in the photos)! I would order everything on the menu. Come here!!

We stopped here for brunch. One of our friends said hatch brown was good. It looked okay. My friend ordered extra crispy, you might want to consider ordering extra crispy. I just got biscuits with gravy, it was biscuit with soup. It was not bad but it was not good. It did not have a lot of sausage bits. My other friend ordered chicken and waffle. Chicken was not bone in, it is not your what you would think when you order chicken and waffle. Service was good but we did have to asked for water and refilled on coffee. Street parking , we parked at a lot that cause $5 per hour.

Happy I was able to have a bar top experience at the iconic Hattie's Hat Restaurant. I learned from Kayla, the friendly bartender that the building was open in 1904. The artwork within the bar totally reflects this which gives the atmosphere a walk back in time type of vibe!

Great brunch food. Their chai alcoholic brunch drink was great! They also do really good mimosas too. My favorite part of the meal was the selection of hot sauces they had available at the table. They ranged from habanero to piri piri, awesome pairing with breakfast foods. 👌🏾

This is a nice funky bar/restaurant with interesting decor and a beautiful wooden bar-top. I was going to a movie in the area so I stopped in on a Monday night for dinner. The hostess greeted me enthusiastically and I asked to sit at the bar. I noticed a wide selection of liquor. The menu was eclectic but I chose the beef ravioli in meat sauce. I was very happy with my meal as the portion was good sized and was obviously freshly hand made. The sauce was really good and meaty. Since I was driving I didn’t get a cocktail but the iced tea I ordered was tasty. It being located in Capitol Hill the place is gay friendly. The staff was warm and friendly. I would recommend this establishment. Note: After I wrote the above I had a chance to talk to one of the bar staff, a lovely woman named Brooke and I decided to give my review a 5 star instead of a 4 star for service. Brooke was really warm and friendly and a good talker. I noticed that the group next to me consisted of a regular and you could tell they had a good rapport.

Came to this place with 2 friends, we did make a reservation but probably didn't need one. Took quite some time to get service maybe 10 whole minutes before we even got water. We ordered drinks. 2 of them came in a timely manner but the other 2 (a beer and a cocktail) took about 10 more minutes. During that wait we ordered food. All the apps were great. But, we got our main dishes and were a little disappointed. My wife and my friend both ordered burgers. My friends came out with everything on it.. and my wifes came with nothing but a patty and cheese.. so we had to send it back for fixings. My other friend and I both got the linguine, shrimp and clams. They were both not hot... more like room temp. Some of my clams tasted like they were just in the fridge. Neither of our dishes were seasoned in the least bit. We still ate it. But could have been warmer for the price. Took quite some time to get the bill after that. Overall it was OKAY. wouldn't crave to go there again though. But the workers were nice and so was the restaurant itself.. maybe just short-staffed that day.

super cute spot! the food was pretty good, and I enjoyed the seattle dry cider, since the cocktails were pretty pricey. the server didn’t check on us once after giving us our food though, until they asked if we were ready for the check at the very end of the meal, and we were one of only two groups in the restaurant.

Food was really nice and tasty ( the fried calamari needed a bit less frying to make it softer, but nevertheless its was delicious and the tomato sauce with it was amazing). The service was amazing and very friendly. I recomend Chicken tacos and fried calamari.

I had an incredible dining experience at this restaurant! The design is absolutely amazing, creating a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere. The attention to detail in the decor really sets it apart. On top of that, the portions were impressively generous and every bite was delicious. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive, making the experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this place for both its aesthetic and culinary delights!

It's a pretty open space restaurant so it can get a little noisy but that's literally the only issue I have. Service was friendly and quick. The chicken and waffles are amazing. I've eaten many chicken and waffles in Seattle, this has easily become my favorite. Will definitely be putting Smith in my regular brunch rotation.

Nice place to hang out with friends. I really enjoyed the atmosphere created with interior lighting. All the walls are decorated with art and stuffed animals, it reminded me of an old hunter's house, my eyes weren’t bored in this place. The full bar impressed with a choice of liquor and options to order any cocktail you want. Food menu was interesting, many options for meat, fish, veggies. Everything we ordered was tasty. The only thing I was disappointed with was paella, because they don’t mention on the menu that it is a spicy 🌶 dish 😐. Excellent and quick service.

I stopped by Storyville in downtown Seattle, right across from Hotel 1000, and had a great experience! A nice surprise: we got free coffee mugs just for being first-time visitors and joining their rewards program, definitely a thoughtful touch. The greens tasted old and very much like they where not seasoned AT ALL. the mac and cheese was rubbery after only 4 mins of is eating not to meantion cold. The only good thing about my meal and i got chicken 2 sides of mac and cheese greens and red beans and rice was the chicken its hard to mess up plain fried chicken. The lady in there today was so rude and dismissive to my friend and i and we spent over 40 dollars in there the eye rolls the taking customers before us who came in after us and the rude communication was all too much. i wasted my money and im so disappointed.

Every single morsel was delicious! The atmosphere is sparse, but the prices are good and seriously, the food is so good. The shrimp and grits, the fried chicken, the waffle, the potato salad. Also, I was shocked there were negative reviews and at least one review seemed to be of another place, as they don’t serve green beans or mashed potatoes and the potato salad was perfection.

This was honestly not even good enough for me to finish eating it. I've never walked out of a restaurant before without even eating a bite of my food. There was way too much butter in the grits, the grits were overcooked and I smelt pure butter, no seasonings.

They were apologetic but that was after I checked on my food an hour later. Which it seems they forgot about me because when I checked on the status of my food it still took 20 minutes to come out. Other than that… probably too scarred to go back. Some things aren’t worth the fight.

Lots of interesting flavors if you are craving bingsu. We ended up getting a regular strawberry cheesecake shaved ice for 2 people. It was a good serving. The ice at the bottom seems very compact and not like typical shaved ice. The ice at the top looked a lot like mozzarella cheese, but tasted good all the same.

The place is a little hidden. It does not look like much on the outside but when you go inside it's really nice and clean. It kinda looks a bit classy and it's a decent size inside plenty of tables so it's not too crowded. I ordered a passion fruit bubble tea and a friend got us a strawberry cheesecake. Over all both were delicious, a little pricey but great tasting. It has a variety of dessert selection. Customer service was great. The bathrooms were nice and clean. My first time to order in person at Bambu but I have been ordering online delivery for my favorite Fruit Addict. Never had any issue with my online orders. Always good. It wasn't busy and not crowded when we came. We were able to order right away and got our desserts and drinks fast. There's so much seating areas for groups who wants to hang out while having refreshing, flavorful drinks. There are different selections of teas, milk teas, vietnamese coffees, authentic che's, smoothies, waffles, mochi, rice paper salads. They have restrooms for customers so don't worry if your bladder fills up with your drinks. Had a taste of mangonada from my daughter's drink and it was interestingly mangoful drink. I still ordered my favorite. Addicted to my Fruit Addict.

I ordered Bambu special, and it tastes good and refreshing! It has so much ingredients in it- coconut, Lougan, pandan jelly, basil seeds. The pandan jelly is chewy and I really enjoy it's texture. The sweetness of the drink is natural from coconut water and lougan. They have a big drink menu and I will definitely come back for another drink :) The drink is more than $8 and it's a little pricey compared to its size. The store is big and many seatings.

Stopped by for dessert while visiting Seattle. It was a cold Thursday night, so it wasn't crowded at all. There's about 5 tables in the front area by the door and 8 tables in the area by the register. Ordered the Taro Coconut Snow Ice, Ube waffle, and Milk Tea. You can see them make the waffle fresh right behind the register. The other desserts are made in the back, but you can see them make it through the open door. The snow ice was finely shaved and dissolved with each bite. It was topped with some boba and cookie crumbles. The Taro and Coconut both had a good flavor without tasting artificial. My favorite was the Ube waffle as it was crisp on the outside, but the inside was full of soft Ube. The Milk Tea was light & refreshing and not overly sweet. This was a good place to come for a light dessert that's made fresh to order.

I absolutely love Bambu desserts. My favorite is the Chè, which consists of different jellies, fruits and A yummy drink. If you really wanna kick it up, try their combo desserts. My favorite is the mangonada, and the strawberry cheesecake. You won’t go wrong with those two (photo included). It’s an all around fun time there, and not crazy like other places. Just yummy drinks/food and a great atmosphere. I bring my family and friends here whenever they are visiting so you know it’s a big recommendation from me.

Restaurant
Nate's Wings & Waffles is a laid-back eatery co-owned by former NBA star Nate Robinson, featuring a menu of wings, waffles, and sliders. The restaurant is adorned with basketball jerseys and memorabilia, reflecting its association with the sports world. Despite initial skepticism about its location near Seattle University, visitors were pleasantly surprised by the delicious chicken and fluffy waffles served at this establishment.
My first time coming here with the wife. The chicken on the sandwich was really good but the waffle was to sweet for my tastes. 5he grilled cheese was good. But it's a grilled cheese it's either good or bad

Bottom line first: not your traditional wings and waffles, good for a quick bite, pricey for what you get. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Was excited to try this out but left a little disappointed. First of all, no table service. Counter service only. For the prices you're paying, I would expect table service. Plus, they ask you for a tip when you pay, which I happily offered, but was a bit more annoyed when I had to clean up my trash. Pros: Nate's special sandwich. This thing was dope. Good bread, great crust, and awesome flavors. Added bacon, which I consider a must. There's a red pepper sauce on this sandwich that makes the whole thing. The sweet chili sauce for the wings was really good. Hot sauce is homemade and tasty The rest: Traditional waffle was boring. Kind of wanted hot wings on top of a waffle. Wings were good - on the smaller size and not as crispy as I like. You can choose to have them breaded, but I think a naked wing can be crispier.

Located across from Seattle University I was a little skeptical about this place. I was thinking college town, probably just bar style food. I was surprised.... the chicken was actually tasty and good. The quality of chicken was good as the meat just fell off the bones. The wives were s little strong but it provided for a lot of flavor. I didn’t eat the waffle until the end but it tasted like home made batter.
Scott K — Google review
I came excited for chicken and waffle sliders... left a bit disappointed after spending 16$ for a lunch that consisted of soggy waffles - would be much better if they were crisp for the sandwich - and more than just one small piece of fried chicken cut in half. The kale salad was tasty but note that it does have a hint of spicy heat to it for those sensitive to spice. I will give it one more chance for the waffles and chicken separate but will opt out on the sliders. Staff was friendly.
Rachel W — Google review
I was craving some wings so I came here with my buddy one night. The place is setup where you pay up front, and they bring your food to you, while you bus your own tables. We ordered 2 pounds of naked wings (not breaded) and got buffalo, chipolte bbq, and honey sweet chilli. Also ordered the cornbread waffle & garlic fries. The wings were silghtly overcooked, and the sauces were above average. The garlic fries were quite amazing as there was a TON of garlic loaded on there and the cornbread waffle was average. If there was more grittiness and cornmeal, I'd favor it more, but it was mostly the texture of a belgian waffle. Overall, I'd give other places a try before I came back again, but considering its $17 for 2 pounds of wings, I might swing by occasionally to try the other sauces!

Really good sandwich and chicken. If you live in Seattle you should check this place out. Fyi: food here take a while to ready so keep it in mind.
Dinh T — Google review
On the fast food side and too pricey for what you get. I had the chicken sandwich (15$) and it felt bad from the first bite. A dry vanilla waffle is not a good base for a fried battered chicken sandwich.
Piktureske — Google review
Horrible wait time and service. Told that they no longer accept phone in orders.....ok, thats fine, but they say they are always busy when you arrive and state that they haven’t got around to actually putting in your order. So although they have already accepted your payment, they dont bother to get your food ready until u actualky show up. Pretty piss poor service. I think I ll “ SKIP Nates” and just stick with Wood Shop bbq.... even for their wings. Avoid Nates!!!

Watson's Counter is a Korean outpost located in Ballard, offering a variety of dishes such as banchan, BBQ pork, fried chicken, noodles, coffee and tea. The menu features crowd-pleasers like french toast coated with fruity pebbles or frosted flakes. The dining room has a meticulous coffee shop vibe and serves aesthetically pleasing food items.
I'd give this place more stars if I could! 04/22/24 I visited today for brunch with a friend. Arrived early to enjoy my coffee and read a little. The staff was extremely nice. Pretty much all the front of house that was working came over and checked on me. I got the k poutine with brisket and egg. 5/5 Side of kimchi is 10/5! Chicken and waffles with ghocujang 5/5 Churros with cinnamon sugar I got to go were also amazing! 5/5 Mocha 5/5 Cardamon syrup iced coffee 5/5 They make EVERYTHING here or get it locally. Highly recommend this hidden gem.

Amazing spot for coffee and brunch/food! Everything we ordered was delicious. The coffee drinks were amazing, I’d come back for the coffee alone. There’s a separate section for coffee if you just want to stop by to grab a drink. The brunch options were a 10/10. Definitely too spicy for me as I have zero spice tolerance, but I’d still dine here again. Lots of unique and fun flavorings going on. They recommend reservations on weekends but they weren’t busy when we came on a Saturday around 12pm. Can always call ahead and ask.
S — Google review
The first time visiting was at their location along 15th Ave and I was a bit underwhelmed with the food. But man this time around I was blown away!! Everything we ordered was phenomenal. My parents got the pork belly eggs Benedict with perfectly crispy pork belly and a complex hollandaise, and this might be my new favorite style of eggs benny. I ordered the fruity pebbles French toast and the kbbq pork belly plate and everything with it was perfection: pork belly, kimchi, perilla leafs, tofu, ssamjang. Only complaint is I could've used more ssamjang (I can never have enough). For drinks my dad got an oat milk mocha which had very rich chocolate and I ordered their single origin espresso which was a washed Kenyan that was nicely extracted. Wish I got a better look at their bean selection but just a good excuse for me to visit again. The ambiance was modern minimalistic and it felt a bit short staffed. It took over 30 minutes to get our food but we did order a lot so it's understandable. Overall, I had an amazing time and will be back again soon!

This place is too addictive, you must avoid! I ate here four times last week and gained 5 lbs from it. The food here is sinful. Especially avoid the gochujang chicken, kimchi, and the fries if you want to be redeemed in the eyes of Christ. Please avoid, 10/10 will eat again many more times. Going to miss this place!
Brian P — Google review
Made a reservation here. It got off to a good start, server came quickly and took our drink orders. We didn’t see that particular server the rest of the outing. I got an orange mimosa. They cost $11. The mimosa was tiny but it was very good. See pictures. We placed an order for chicken and waffles. It took 15 min to come out to the table. The chicken was good, but the waffle was dry and flavorless despite looking good. With the high prices on the menu, we thought that they were giving fair server wages, but no. On top of the already high prices for small portions, they also automatically charge an 18% gratuity.
Marshall W — Google review
One star for being absolutely incredible and a wonderful addition to the community. The staff here is the best of the best and the coffee is without a doubt the most delicious in Ballard (prob cause it’s made with love). The chicken chonks with rice is my guilty pleasure and I’m so sad I won’t be able to pop in here on the regular. All good things must come to an end. Stop in if you have a chance in the next two weeks. Five stars is not enough. I have been anxiously awaiting their reopening at their new location and it was absolutely worth the wait! Best coffee in the neighborhood hands down. I got the orangey mocha and it is swoon worthy. I will be walking the half mile here to get coffee here as much as I can. The staff is so friendly, knowledgeable, and extremely talented at their craft.
Molly B — Google review
Great little brunch spot nestled in Ballard. We had the KBBQ pork plate, poutine, and chicken and waffles. The honey butter was my favorite on the chicken. The sweet and savory crunch of the chicken skin paired with the waffle was satisfying. The kbbq pork plate was very hefty and delicious. It made me feel healthy eating it but by the end I was full. My only comment is that the food is on the pricier side and that I wish this place was bigger so that we could be seated sooner. Great Korean fusion place and in the end, the wait for the food was well worth it.
Keith C — Google review
We placed our order online and it was ready in 30 minutes. They automatically include 18% tips, so make sure you mentally add that into the online prices. We ordered the Chicken and Waffles, Loco Moco, French Toast, Cranberry Mocha, and Mocha. The waffles weren't very sweet, the fried chicken was the real star. The French Toast is kinda gimmicky, it has a vanilla syrup flavor, but otherwise it's French Toast. The Loco Moco has an overly decadent gravy and unseasoned meat that was dry and felt reliant on the gravy for flavor. The mocha's were good - the cranberry has a sweet tartness to it that's interesting. The staff was polite and prompt. Overall, a good cafe.

Matcha Cafe Maiko is a great spot in Seattle for matcha enthusiasts and those looking for a unique date idea. The cafe offers a variety of matcha beverages and frozen desserts, including their highly recommended Matcha Ice Cream topped with Brown Sugar Boba. Visitors praise the strong yet not overly bitter matcha flavor, as well as the soft and chewy brown sugar boba and mochi toppings.
They were out of bubble waffles when I was there but still delicious! I got the lemon matcha float with vanilla ice cream, and it was definitely more sour than I expected, but delicious. The menu hadn’t been updated as of March 2022 so the items are a bit more expensive (a little less than a dollar) but still a pretty good price. I ended up paying $8 or so for mine, so definitely more of a treat than an everyday snack. Would recommend!

MATCHA ICE CREAM topping with BROWN SUGAR BOBA: If you are a big fan of brown sugar boba and matcha, I highly recommend you stop by here. Their matcha flavor here is strong but not too bitter and sweet enough. Brown sugar boba and mochi are soft and chewy. Both are the must-try topping here. I was hesitant about putting ice cream and boba together for the first time I came here because some boba shops made it nothing special, but this place made a perfect combination. This dessert was very very yummy. Even though I ate this dessert a lot during recent weeks, I'm still craving it. Brown Sugar Boba Fresh Milk (100% sweet, regular ice), Cocoa Brown Sugar Fresh Milk (100% sweet, regular ice), Matcha Brown Sugar Fresh Milk (100% sweet, regular ice): Those drinks were super tasty. Their drinks had a great flavor, especially the matcha brown sugar boba fresh milk The sweetness was perfect. Boba here was super soft and chewy. Service: The staff here was nice and very friendly.

I have tried bubble waffles at happy lemon, moo bar and at matcha cafe maiko, there’s no question they are the best! Happy lemon was hard and cookie like, moo bar was better but man, the bubble waffle here was smooth and melt in mouth. Super soft inside with the purple filling. The matcha and ube icecream was a heavenly combination. I would definitely come back and eat this every time we are in seattle. Please give them a try. I added a picture of halfway through it.
Jatin B — Google review
The place looks super cute. If you’re a matcha fanatic, this is where you need to be. The ice cream was a big proportions. You can get mixed or just the matcha flavour. The staff was nice. 10/10 would go back for more
Dana P — Google review
This location has recently opened as they are currently in their soft opening stage (they are working out the quirks). Unlike the one in Houston, this location does not offer a sweet level option and have the sugar premixed in the matcha drinks. I really enjoy the bitterness in my matcha drinks but they may add an option to adjust this later. The matcha latte was slightly on the sweet side. If you have a sweet tooth go for it. The hojicha is a dark roast version of green tea which had a nice bitter flavor but with a hint of sweetness. The soft serve matcha ice cream was probably my favorite as it had a true matcha bite. The waffle cones are made per order and provide that pleasent sweetness to contrast the bitter matcha. They might change a lot of things in the future but try it out if your in the area!
Richard V — Google review
Yum yum! I'm generally not the biggest fan of these types of dessert stands, or dessert in general. But this was a great treat on a hot day! I thought that the soft serve was not too sweet, so it's perfect if you're on a diet! ... Not really, but it feels perfect if you're on a diet. My only complaint is that music at the stand was a bit too loud and the song was a bit too repetitive, to the point of being slightly annoying. But it's such a small gripe that it's definitely not worth taking away any stars.
Luke L — Google review
Try this place in Portland and I love matcha so I decided to try this place in Seattle. This place was clean and easy to find. The staff was super friendly and the menu was much larger than what it was in Portland. We got the taiyaki and the maiko special. I personally like the Portland location because the teriyaki was crunchy and not soft which I was expecting. The special had different toppings than what it was in Portland and it didn’t really go well with a soft serve ice cream. Other than that it’s a great place to get Matcha dessert!
Alex N — Google review
High quality matcha ingredients used; shiratama and other ingredients were overcooked / just ok. There's only 3 tables next to an escalator (and it can get super packed), so be warned it's more of a to-go counter than a "café". Service was also lacking - seemed like a few high schoolers running the place. It's an excellent effort from Seattle to put out more green tea cafés, but you can skip it if you're used to the standards back in East Asia.

If you're in the U-District and looking for some delicious Thai food, Mark Thai Food Box is definitely the place to go. The dishes are prepared fresh and the menu has something for everyone. The prices are very reasonable, too!
Difficult to capture just how special this place is. Uncle Mark absolutely radiates warmth, kindness, and generosity - and the food was delicious! We got the tofu panang curry and mango sticky rice. Will definitely be back again, for the curry and the warm family feeling.

I bought this frozen green curry from City market in Capitol Hill on11/19. It had some strange spots in chicken which I have no idea what it is. The BBF date on package is 11/23. Can you tell me what is this?

First time visiting this takeout only spot. Food was ready in under ten minutes. Service was exceptional. The folks who run the place are nothing short of friendly, helpful, and kind. They made great recommendations. Would recommend this place to everyone!

Super good Khao Man Gai! I got a double chicken portion and their hot chili oil is perfect slathered over the meat. Super satisfying to finish everything with their cozy winter melon soup. Need to come back to try other things, especially the banana roti, durian sticky rice, and fridge drinks :)
Anna B — Google review
Delicious little hole in the wall! Stumbled upon this place tonight looking for something easy and cheerful. I found it. Everything was take away even if you ate there you got it in microwaveable containers. Kind of like Snap Kitchen but less corporate. The Penang curry was good with enough spice to warm me up but not kill me. The winter melon soup was comforting. Good little place with character. I enjoyed my meal outside using the public tables. The street that runs in front of the shop is converted to dining when the bus route isn’t running. Great planning with this one.
R K — Google review
Not the best. Pricey for the portions. Their staple dish, Khao Man Gai - isn’t good. The sauce isn’t chili like and not authentic. The meat comes with lots of pieces of chicken liver which wasn’t seasoned well so it tasted off. This wasn’t mentioned in the description. The few pieces of chicken tasted bland and not fresh. The Pad See Ew was bland as well. Fried egg alone cost $3, which is very expensive compared to other restaurants. The chicken that came with this dish was tough and chewy - very hard to eat. Dishes were priced around $13 for a very small portion. You would be able to get bigger portions (enough for two meals) for the same price points at other Thai restaurants outside of the U District. Not sure how these restaurants thrive here where their customers are mainly (poor) students. Owners are nice though.
W — Google review
After a friend told me about the Thai dish khao mun gai, I sought out a version in Seattle. And I am very glad that I did. This little hole-in-the-wall joint serves an excellent version! The chicken was soft, juicy, and tender. The garlic sauce was like fireworks in my mouth - spicy, sour, and garlicky. The winter melon soup had a great chicken broth base. A few cucumber slices to cool my mouth and I was a very happy man. They appear to only do takeout, but there are abundant picnic tables outside.
David F — Google review
One of the best khao mun gay I’ve had. You can’t find better in the area. Mark is very friendly, keep up the good work. Glad to see that you are still in business with covid and everything.
