Coming from Asia we are quite picky when it comes to seafood. Now after staying in NL for over 3 years, trying a lot of different seafood restaurants, this is the best seafood I’ve had!! The kibbeling was the best. It had a light but still crispy batter, super amazing. The garlic shrimps went so well with the bread. The calamari’s were crunchy, loved the sauces it came with. Only the fish soup was a bit salty for me. This place is definitely to be bookmarked!!

Absolutely loved this place! The food was excellent, made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The cozy atmosphere made the whole experience even better. Highly recommended!

Excellent seafood! I had the Lunch of the Dijk for 24€ and salmon ceviche 18,50€ —both delicious and fairly priced. Paired with a nice chardonnay. Friendly waitstaff added to the experience. Be prepared to wait; my food took 45 minutes, but it was worth it. Highly recommended!

Amazing dining experience! Everything was so fresh and very simply cooked with wonderful flavor. When the staff realized we were English speaking, the waitress printed out English menus for our group. Everything we ordered was so fresh and amazing and we all agreed this was our best meal in Europe. Highly recommended for amazing food, relaxing atmosphere, and reasonable pricing.

Best fish of Rotterdam. Expensive but you will definitely get quality food and with very friendly staff it makes up for it!

This is probably one of my favorite restaurants in Rotterdam. Not fancy. On a good day, you’re able to sit on the sidewalk and enjoy the weather and people walking by. Service it’s much better than most of the Dutch restaurants if I may say.

Simply perfect. My expectations going in weren’t the highest, the atmosphere from the first look didn’t give the best impression, however once the meals started coming in everything has changed. The fish quality was incredible. The balance they managed to reach was impressive. And not a single course left me questioning whether this restaurant is worth a Michelin star. And the crème brûlée… I cannot believe I had the best crème brûlée of my life (especially considering the presentation, will not spoil the surprise ;)). Without a question will come again.

What a lovely experience! Super attentive staff and amazing seafood dishes. We went for the 5 course surprise menu with a wine pairing and it was lovely. The presentation, flavor profiles and paired wine created a quite memorable experience! My photos will not do it justice, so I encourage you to check it out - you won't be disappointed.

We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary and it was a really special evening! The staff was very kind, every dish was explained in detail. The quality of different types of fish was excellent and every dish was a pleasant surprise!

Maybe too highly expecting the first time visit Rotterdam and so looking forward for the Michelin star restaurant and also seafood cuisine! But to be honest , maybe I wasn’t lucky , the menu is not really matching my flavor ! And too simple and nothing surprised . Paying more than 100€ I think maybe deserve a little bit higher value seafood such as lobster or nice crabs . Not just monkfish salmon and tuna .The service is friendly, surrounding is cozy , but what a pity I didn’t find it tasteful ! But still thanks for the staffs !!

Stopped by Restaurant Zeezout on a sunny day, which was perfect because the terrace is the place to be. Great spot to watch the world go by while pretending you’re a local with far too much free time. Staff were friendly and present when you needed them. No mysterious disappearing acts mid-meal. They managed that fine balance of being attentive without hovering like a helicopter parent. We came for lunch and the food was beautifully presented, clearly trying to impress Instagram as much as our taste buds. Luckily it tasted good too—so not just all show. Portions leaned more toward “refined” than “generous,” but at least you won’t roll out of here regretting life choices. If you’re after a polished lunch with nice views and good service, this is a safe bet. Price-wise, it’s not “cheap lunch special” territory, but you can see where your money went.

I visited this nice restaurant in 2015. We celebrated a special event & Eid with friends. The food was super yummy. The presentation was elegant 👌🏼I liked fish the most. The waiter, who was extremely helpful & friendly suggested for us to try the four course surprise menu 😍& it was a great suggestion. I loved the yummy surprise too. The sitting was nice & quiet. The Chief was nice too & talented. I loved the experience. Thank you for making it more special.

Beautiful restaurant and good food. Prices are reasonable. The service was good as well. Sometimes it took a little longer than needed to get someone at the table. At the time of our reservation it was pretty quiet.

We had a very nice brunch at this beautiful place. There was a DJ playing some good songs setting the perfect mood. The staff was friendly and the food was very good. Nicely presented and very flavourful.

Now this is what I call fine dining! Good portions, reasonable prices and a great selection of wine. Not to mention the fantastic service and great staff. The only complaint was it felt that the music didn’t fit the establishment but that may just be my personal taste. However I will 100% be returning, fantastic for lunch or dinner!

The food at Harbor Club Rotterdam is truly amazing! Not just because it’s expensive, but because it’s genuinely delicious. You can tell they take pride in the quality they serve. The service is equally impressive; each section has a dedicated waiter, and they’re incredibly friendly and attentive. However, I did find the tables a bit too close to other customers, which can make it feel slightly cramped. The toilets are clean, but I think they could be improved to match the luxurious vibe the restaurant is aiming for. It’s definitely a place to see and be seen, but the standout for me is the food. After dinner, we moved to the bar, and the cocktails didn’t disappoint! They were just as good as I hoped. I’m a fan of high-end restaurants like those in Asia, and this one holds up well. If you visit in the evening, you might find the restaurant a bit too dark. I’m not sure if they’re going for a romantic, high-end feel or a chic, modern lounge vibe. Absolutely enjoyed our lunch, we had the Chefs menu which was a 2 course meal and small bites of tempura prawn, gamba, tuna and beef tataki, fried rice, grilled salmon, asparagus.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The tomahawk and duck were average - not bad, but not great. The fried rice was delicious. I won't comment on the prices, as that is subjective to each person.

Very attentive staff with declicious and fresh food. I’d recommend to book in advance and they have a good selection of seafood and meats. Definitely worth a visit and their mussels and fries are recommended!

To celebrate our 6th anniversary, my partner and I chose this place for a special dinner. My partner was introduced to the restaurant by a local friend from Rotterdam, and with high expectations for the quality of the food, we made a reservation in advance. The atmosphere is very Dutch, rather than a refined fine dining experience, it offers a lively and pretty Dutch vibe with seafood dishes. Even on a weekday evening, the place was bustling with guests from early evening, and the outdoor terrace was remarkably large and busy, especially with many Dutch guests. Inside, as we entered, the lobster tank was eyecatching. According to what we heard, you could pick your own lobster, but the staff didn’t ask and it seemed that unless you make a special request, the kitchen selects the lobster randomly. One of the main reasons we visited was because I had never tried lobster before, and my partner chose this place specifically for that. The result was satisfying, the lobster was richly seasoned and grilled to perfection, delicious with generous portions. The white wine served alongside complemented it wonderfully. We also ordered the teriyaki steak, which was decent but nothing extraordinary (I would recommend sticking to the seafood dishes). Sneaking a peak of other tables, many seemed ordering plates with cheese and ham, which looked interesting and I’d like to try next time. Overall, it was a satisfying meal. Honestly the service wasn’t extraordinarily kind, but it was relatively quick, which was great for us. If you want to experience Dutch style seafood cuisine, this is a good place to try.

I love this place, it’s cozy, the service is amazing, but the most important thing is that the food is excellent, we liked every single meal, especially oysters - they were superfresh and meaty. Piri-piri shrimps is must try there! Carpaccio and sole fish were amazing. Definitely will come back

Great mussels as specialty, and seasonal dish. We ordered mossels provencaal, naturel, and thai. Mossels natural seems a bit tasteless. Would recommend provencaal and thai which packed a lot more taste and it complemented the mussels too. Pricey for the "1kg" large portion (€30). We suspect it was less. Strange that they include french fries in the mussels dish but do not even serve 1 portion of fries per main course. We had 5 main courses and had received 2 basket of fries only. Sabayon was very nice, but the strawberry vodka had literally no vodka or creme de cassis at all. Be sure to avoid that one unless you'd like to ask the staff to test it first 😂 Cava was surprisingly nice, as was the white wine.

Low-quality food. We thought the mussels might be good, but they were cooked in a very mediocre sauce and were far from tasty. The service was not only extremely slow but also quite rude. They didn’t even offer us the daily specials that were given to other tables. Whenever we asked for something, they looked at us dismissively, and at the end, they simply dropped the bill on the table. I don’t want to call them racist, but unfortunately, we can’t think of any other explanation. It’s a shame the food wasn’t at least good, especially considering the prices aren’t cheap.

Oysters are fresh, raw fish was tender, lobsters with staffed meets are fantastic. Only pity thing was Mossel was absent themselves from home even though the restaurant is its name ironically…

The food was good. It was really as at market, sadly there was no octopus when we visited. The service was a little bit slow, not very alert (we were one the first and only table during the lunch shift), but was friendly. We enjoyed our time here in general. This experience is recommended.

Amazing dinner! The staff were welcoming and guided us step by step — from picking our fish at the “fish theatre” to choosing wine. The food was outstanding, probably the best-prepared fish we’ve had. Highly recommend the mussels, red gurnard, leeks, and honestly, you can’t go wrong with anything they prepare. Desserts were delicious too, and the pornstar margarita was perfectly balanced. We’ll definitely be back!

The clams were spot on—super tasty broth with fresh herbs and a little kick of spice that just hit the spot. Those oysters? So fresh and gorgeous on the plate. The grilled prawns were juicy and full of flavor, especially with that zesty sauce—couldn’t get enough! And the sashimi? Melted in my mouth like a dream. Plus, their seafood display was impressive, showing off some top-notch stuff. Defo a must-visit for anyone who loves seafood—food was amazing, and the vibe was spot on!

Having visited the Amsterdam restaurant, we decided to try the one in Rotterdam a few years later. The Amsterdam one is better as it is a bit more cosy and service is quicker. While everyone was very kind in the Rotterdam joint, our orders came quite late as the place is huge and there are a lot of tables to serve. It was still a very nice treat with lovely food, so definitely worth the experience.

The fish is fresh and the concept is great. But the preparation is aggressively mediocre. There is overuse of pesto in multiple dishes, the batter from the fish and chips was poor. The rest was just fine. The service is unimaginably slow. We waited over 30 minutes for oysters then the small fish dishes came after one hour and 20 minutes of us sitting down. Good to try but not going back there. If I would recommend one thing is the marinated/pickled salmon.

Couldn‘t really feel the hype revolving around Pesca lately. We went here on a regular week night for my friend’s birthday and it appeared very chaotic-there is a poor service and the staff at the so-called „fish theatre“ seemed unmotivated and weren‘t a great help either. After we ordered oysters as precourse, it took forever to get to the next course. We also waited a long time for more drinks etc. It was quite loud, a busy place, though we booked a table and still got a tiny little spare table. As we spoke to the manager we got 10% off, still paid €250+ for 2 people, but I wouldn‘t recommend going there nor would I ever go again. I prefer the smaller, less fancy stuff.

You’re welcomed with a glass of cava and a can of sardines. Eating here is a full experience. You get to create your own menu, and they guide you through everything, you really have to see it for yourself! The fish is always different, fresh, and incredibly delicious. And as a final touch, you’re given a scoop of lemon sorbet as you leave. I truly enjoyed this restaurant! 🐠🥂

Nice dining experience at Fjord. Customer service (probably manager) was great, has the best smile, frequently attending to us to make sure everything is ok, and patiently introduce us their items on the menu. Food did not disappoint too!

We went to Fjord with a bigger group and ended up having a great night with perfect service from Jack & the rest of the crew. All nice dishes to share and very nice wines to choose from. Can definitely recommend!

Surprisingly, the foods are amazing! Came here for a comedy night the other day, so didnt manage to enjoy the outdoor seating, but the foods were great! It’s too bad that their beef wellington (the menu I was super excited to try) has bacon in it, so could not eat any of it, but the rest of the foods are really nice. Really nice settings, helpful staff, great food, nice wines, and verryyyy romantic. Price is also very reasonable. Perfect for a date night or cute brunch spot

Pretty cool spot to grab a beer or some food. It's a floating brewery and also has gigs and events. I had the brewers wiezen and it was pretty good. Food wasn't bad but it is a little pricey.

We had a wonderful experience at Vessel11. I’d highly recommend you check it out! The food was delicious. I know I’m going to crave their fish and chips soon. But it’s not only their main, the sticky toffee pudding was delicious, and I can’t wait to return to try the banananoffee tart, the chocolate lava cake, or the millionaire’s slice. The waiter who helped us made great recommendations, they were attentive and friendly. Couldn’t ask for more. The view from the top deck is lovely (if it’s a sunny day, make sure to check it out), but there’s also seating inside. If you needed any more reasons to visit - there’s a Pac-Man machine downstairs (which you can play for free) and a dance floor and piano. What a vibe! Go now!

A very nice unique restaurant on a boat. Beautiful red exterior and very cozy interior makes you feel very comfortable and excited. They have a nice terrace on the ship with a camp fire kinda setup in the centre and tables around the bar. The service is very nice and the food is decent. They also have a good options for the drinks you can order.

It is an ok british restaurant. Staff was very kind, house beers were great, but the food was just ok. Chicken quesadillas were fine, although the chicken was dry. Beef Wellington did not meet the expectations for the price. The meat was overcooked and dry. Salad and fries were good.

1. The place is huge. They have 20+ tables outdoor and like at least 30 tables indoor so finding a table will not be an issue. 2. The service is quick and very friendly. 3. The food was good. Nothing special or extraordinary. 4. Their ice teas are very good. I would recommend their ice tea. 5. Their tacos are overpriced. And I felt not worth the price. The taste was average. 6. Their burrito salad was a little bland. But adding their homemade habanero sauce will fix this. 7. Their sweet potato fries were the best. That was the tastiest dish we ordered 10/10. Overall a good restaurant. This is OK to go to if you're craving for some Mexican. Not my first recommendation for Mexican cuisine but this place is not bad.

Supermercado is what you imagine Mexican food to be if you live anywhere not in Mexico. I appreciate the serving sizes of the food and for what it is, it's serviceable. But honestly I almost forgot I went to this place until I went back to check out the places I've been in Rotterdam. It is popular with the locals though, and the place fills up pretty quickly during dinnertime, especially when the weather's good out.

Visited this restaurant on a Saturday evening. We sat inside, it was packed and loud. Tip- make a reservation in advance. We ordered the nachos and tacos which were alright. It came cold and dry. The surprise for us was the chicken and coleslaw. It was juicy and tasty. I also had the lychee cocktail which was nice! We spent close to EUR 200 for 4 people including food and drinks, which I personally found a bit steep for the quality of the food.

I went here for an apericena with friends. The service was excellent: the girl who served us was really kind and attentive, definitely a positive point. As for the food, the experience was mixed: • Nachos were okay, nothing special. • The burger was good and well prepared. • The salmon with rice and asparagus was tasty and well done. • The Mexican picanha was disappointing — it seemed more like flank steak than true picanha. • The French fries had an unpleasant smell, probably because the oil had also been used to fry fish. Prices are quite high, so we expected more attention to overall quality. 👉 My advice to the restaurant: take more care in selecting the meat and pay attention to the quality of the frying oil — it really makes a difference! That said, we’ll be happy to come back and give it another try.

The place has a nice and cozy atmosphere, the service was nice and fast. The nachos were really good but the tacos disappointed… they were a bit cold and the tortilla fell apart before eating. Would recommend the place to drink something and eat some nachos but the tacos are definitely overpriced for their quality.

My partner and I attended our friends birthday party at Supermercado and we were quite excited about the location however to say we were disappointed would be an understatement. For info we were with a group of 14 people and had the a la carte option. We took the picanha option with fries and corn. The picanha the waiter told me would be entrecote instead. The piece of meat seemed like it was quite low quality as it had alot of chewy bits that couldn't really be eaten. We asked for medium rare and it was basically well done. The chimichurri also didn't have a nice flavor in our opinion (3 people ordered same thing and we all had different nationationalities so it's also not a local preference or something) all in all the meat was pretty bad, the nachos that the group ordered and the fries were pretty good. So were the drinks. Would I go back? No the price for what I got was too bad in my opinion but I can see that some people might enjoy it

Drinks are great in general! The spicy margarita is really spicy and could be more flavorful. We got the chips and salsa (pico de gallo) which was disappointing. We were offered very little salsa for the amount of chips we got. Salsa was very watery and was more of tomato water. We found the chips to be better with the spicy mayo sauce from the jalepenos con queso dish.

We had a great time at this restaurant. The food was really tasty—we tried a variety of tapas, and each dish was full of flavor and well-prepared. The drinks were also very good; I had a fresh lemonade that was especially refreshing. However, the bathroom was a different story. It wasn’t very clean and had a rather strange setup—I’ve honestly never seen a bathroom quite like it before. It felt a bit out of place compared to the quality of the food and drinks. Overall, the dining experience was enjoyable.

So enjoyable, I came back the next night! The service was just as perfect. The food and drink divine. So impressed.

Great ambiance inside the restaurant. Especially liked the soft music and the flowers coming down from the ceiling. The food was exceptional. Loved the black aioli sauce that comes with the calamari. The food was amazing! Calamari is my favorite and As well the cocktails The only minus points was the brownie, was too sweet taste only sugar no chocolate but the ice cream delicious . We will come back again

Absolutely fantastic experience at this seafood restaurant! The food was incredibly fresh and full of flavor from the perfectly grilled sea bass to the buttery lobster, every bite was a delight. What really made the evening special, though, was the exceptional service. Our host (a lovely lady whose name I, unfortunately, didn’t catch) was warm, attentive, and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Her recommendations were spot-on, and her energy brought a personal touch that you rarely find these days. If you’re looking for a place with top-notch seafood and service that makes you feel like a VIP, this is it. Highly recommended!

Highly recommended place for a cosy dinner with family/friends. Service staff was friendly & professional. Delicious seafood and nice ambience with soft background music. My family loved the Black Cod, Seabass & Salmon which were cooked perfectly.

Had a family dinner at Restaurant Langoest. Service was sparse. It took over an hour to get any food, and while this was frustrating, every meal was delicious. Highly recommend the octopus, cod, & sea bass! Ambience is great too!

My family of 4 recently had the pleasure of dining at Langoest and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. As visitors from the States, we were looking for a memorable meal, and this place truly delivered. The restaurant has a great location right next to the Erasmus bridge. The food was incredible with a wide array of choices for any seafood lover. We really enjoyed the mussels, sea bass, and pasta. Our server was attentive and we really appreciated his recommendations for both the food and wine. We highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city, whether you're a local or, like us, traveling from afar.

It's the first meal for us after arriving Netherlands. The service was great, the waiter introduced us the food and wine patiently with passionate. Seafood was so fresh, especially the oyster. Fish was well cooked with great tastes. Must try their pasta for the sides, the taste and texture was a surprise to us. We love the dessert too, it's almond ice-cream with creme brulee. We went there for our anniversary. We both had a starter and a main dish. The lobster soup was amazing! We each had the sea bass and cod fish. The presentation of sea bass one is quite nice :) Excellent service and great vibe.

Wow, this place is really cool! First impression was: easy access and parking, second impression: very friendly service. Food was great and the prices very reasonable. We will be visiting Rotterdam again, and coming here will become a tradition!

We always come here for fish or sashimi it’s always fresh and of great quality. Today we also tried lunch for the first time, and the sandwiches were good too.

Lots of waiting, poor service. We’ve arrived early and place was nearly empty. First very long wait for waitress than even longer for the order (two buns with hearings and fish&chips). Haring had many bones, portion of kibbeling was very small (it was tasty), chips cheap. What a waste of time!

If you want to buy fresh fish and seafood, or you looking for a casual place to snack some gourmet food, go here. The 'bar' menu is below and I enjoyed the "Rotterdamertje". I was positively surprised to see that they had extremely good Albarino wine on the menu as well.

Not very good- we ordered tuna tatiki , scholletje - and 2 wine- we had to ask 3 times for the wine. We got the wrong fish which was awful- in the end we got the schol and tatiki way too much spices on the schol would not call this great - wont come back …

The restaurant looks great, and the atmosphere is very nice. However, the food was just okay, and the service wasn’t good. The prices are way too high for what you get. We waited a long time for our drinks, to place our order, and for the food to arrive. Overall, the nice setting didn’t make up for the slow service and overpriced food.

If you are vegetarian then this is not the place for you. I went for hi tea with my girls and was very disappointed with the food they served me. I mentioned in booking regarding my diet preferences that i am vegetarian and do not eat aubergine/zucchini, still I was served aubergine sandwich. When i pointed out, they changed it for avocado sandwich which was not good at all. They said chef is making burrata sandwich for me but later came with avocado. So in savory only option for me was avocado sandwich and nothing else. I would not recommend for vegetarians. But my friends enjoyed fish

Zalmhuis in Rotterdam is a stunning riverside restaurant with delicious, well-prepared food that usually arrives quickly. The menu has a wide variety to choose from, and while prices are a bit on the higher side, the quality makes it worth it. On sunny days, the views are spectacular, and the interior design gives the place a fabulous, stylish vibe. The staff are friendly and attentive—some even take your full order without writing anything down, a rare skill in today’s horeca. It’s not the easiest place to reach by public transportation, but they do offer parking for just €2.50 per visit. And a nice bonus: you can enjoy a free meal on your birthday!

The interior of the restaurant is gorgeus. Perfect place for little party or nice pictures on instagram. Food was nicely prepared and pretty delicious. Minus point: I couldn't take leftovers home, it was hard to finish a large portion and I don't like wasting food also I had the impression that the staff didn't really listen to us.

If you're not travelling by car, reaching the restaurant might be a bit challenging, but there are ample public transport options available. It has enough free parking places. The entry of the restaurant is luxury and decorated with Christmas tree and lights. Restaurant is located on the first floor. The view is fabulous but there were mosquitos flying around our heads that is very irritating. We chosen the 'chif manual' with 3 courses which even the waiter doesn't konw the contents. The taste of the dishes are special and yummy but the amount is not enough for us. The main course has no side dishes, not even fries or salad, it is a surprise! Very happy to visit here for lunch! Every fish I tried was always so tasty and fresh! Kibbelings and other fried fish are the best that I've tried in the Netherlands. Fresh fish salads and harings are much more fatty and tasty here compared to the city centre. I especially love the seaweed salads they make. Buns are always really fluffy and goes great with fish. Staff is friendly as well!

Kibbelings are super fresh, tasty, well served alongside a small salad with seaweeds, cabbage, sesame oil. homemade sauce went really well together with that warm crunchy and juicy pieces of fish. Thanks to the kind and welcoming staff! PS: 8.55eur for this groot portion with sauce.

A bit cramped place. It seems crowded but that's due to loads of people waiting in random places. Service was a bit too quick, we didn't even have time to check what they had. This especially due to the many people waiting and making it difficult to see the products. Meanwhile they asked us twice what we wanted.. too quick! In the end i was happy for the fast service. It would be nice to organize things a bit.

We visited for my husband’s birthday with a reservation for four, which included a welcome glass of champagne. The booking process was very smooth—quick replies and easy confirmation, which gave us a great first impression. Unfortunately, the experience at the restaurant itself didn’t quite live up to expectations. When we arrived, the staff member who welcomed us didn’t seem to check the reservation properly, so we were seated without being offered the welcome champagne. While waiting, two different staff members came to ask for drink orders, creating confusion. I eventually spoke with a more experienced team member who acknowledged the communication error and handled it professionally. Our assigned waiter after that point was excellent—friendly, attentive, and communicative. The gentleman who seemed to be supervising also handled the situation well and showed genuine care. The food, however, was a letdown. My tuna steak came too raw, despite requesting it medium, and my daughter didn’t finish her chicken. While the lentils and starters were enjoyable, the main courses didn’t stand out. On top of that, the temperature inside was uncomfortably warm, which added to our decision to skip dessert and leave earlier than planned. We had requested a candle in advance to celebrate the occasion, and while we didn’t stay for dessert, the team kindly brought it out anyway—a thoughtful gesture we appreciated. Overall, while the restaurant positions itself as a laid-back brasserie, I believe this iconic location deserves consistently high-quality service and well-prepared, simple dishes that leave guests saying, “We have to come back.”

Let’s start with the negative part: at check-in there were 2 young ladies with a bit of an attitude. Not super unfriendly but bitchy in the way of giving information and answering our questions. Something you should not expect in an hotel like this. The second was that when we received a phone call if we would like to upgrade with extra payment, the asked for the purpose of our stay, which was are honeymoon. It was noticed but they have nothing done with that. Not that they have too, but giving your costumers a little bit extra attention, would be appreciated. Rooms are nice, bed pillows are horrible for me. Everything is clean except for the texture like feeling on the front of the toilet. Porcelain should be smooth not rough. View is amazing if you book for the river Maas view. The historical feeling in this building is pleasant. Breakfast is expensive but good, don’t forget to ask for an omelette in the kitchen. It was the best one I ever ate. Parking is expensive with 35 euros per day. So all good but enough points for improvement.

This was a most disappointing experience after we had been looking forward to staying at Hotel New York for a number of years. The hotel feels as if it has got a crisis of identity and whilst it is a very interesting historic building, I do not feel that it has been well developed into a 4 star hotel. The prime focus of the hotel appears to be the bar/restaurant which is in the prime position at the front of the hotel and is clearly very busy. This makes it very noisy and not a good place for a relaxing birthday dinner. You approach the hotel from the rear and the entrance is tucked away in a corner. It is not well signposted, has weeds growing around rht paving and has a number of steps up to the reception making it very difficult for anyone with impaired mobility. I could not find any mention of this problem on the hotel web site and it was never mentioned when I asked about access before I booked. There was no porter service and only one luggage trolly which was of limited use because of the number of stairs. Many rooms are only accessible by stairs and there were 2 steps in our room. There is no parking at the hotel but there is an excellent private parking garage adjacent to it but this needs to be booked and cost us 54 Euro for 2 days. The room was not to 4 star standards and lacked a number of things like fridge, USB charging points and easily accessible power sockets. The bed side light switches were also a long stretch from the bed. The bathroom had been modernised and was very good, it is a shame that the room had also not been given a suitable makeover. Food in the restaurant at dinner was very good but the overall dining experience was spoilt by the noise levels and hussle and bussle, it was more like a city centre bar than a 4 star restaurant. The breakfast buffet was nothing special and the staff at breakfast clearly did not want to be there. We ended up cutting short our stay because the difficulty of accessing the hotel was causing my Wife distress as she has impaired mobility. The hotel has a fabulous location and a great history but I do not feel that it has been developed very well. The developers should take a look at the Titanic Hotel in Liverpool to see what a great job can be done of developing such an old historic building. If we had not been to the Delft WestCord hotel and had an excellent stay, I would be avoiding this company in future.

Great hotel; slightly dated but that’s part of the charm. Amazing building. Good breakfast. Only reason it isn’t a 5 stars from me is because we tried to have a drink in the bar (not the exclusive, need to book downstairs one just the normal main bar) but there was a huge queue (despite several empty tables) and we were told that despite being hotel guests we had to wait alongside the non guests. Wouldn’t expect to have to do that. Otherwise great.

Hotel New York offers stylish design and spacious rooms, each decorated with carefully chosen, original pieces that give the place a unique charm. My room view was very lovely, looking to Erasmus bridge. I stayed in April when the weather was wet and cold, and while the atmosphere was wonderful, the room heating was unfortunately not sufficient, which made the stay less comfortable than expected. Keep in mind to bring warm clothes to wear in the room :)

If you are in Rotterdam and taking a Holland America cruise, you should 100% book at this hotel for a stay before your cruise. The hotel is really cool. Historic but new feeling. They have done a wonderful job turning this "office building" into a collection of great rooms with great views. We arrived the day before our cruise and checked-in easily. Walked down to the Foodhallen and had a relaxed meal and some drinks. The morning of our cruise, we enjoyed a great breakfast at the hotel and then simply walked 2 minutes down to the ship. CRAZY EASY!!! Love this hotel!!

Disappointing experience from the start. There was no smile, no sense of welcome at the entrance. While we were waiting, the staff member who asked about reservations didn’t even look at us, instead speaking past us to people behind. A simple acknowledgment of the first couple in line would have been the respectful approach. Another colleague later handled things more appropriately, but by then the poor first impression was set. The bar wasn’t crowded, yet we were left waiting unnecessarily, only to be told in the end to “just choose a place at the bar.” If that was the plan all along, there was no need to waste our time. The bartender was the one positive note—friendly and attentive—but overall the service at the entrance left a very negative impression. When staff give the impression they don’t want to be there, it makes guests feel unwelcome. Not worth the hype. Won’t be returning.

A mixed experience at this Vapiano location. The wheat based pesto pasta was good but the wheat based pasta with cream sauce was not that great. The bruschetta was really good but the garlic bread was not that great. Overall a decent experience but could have been much better. The staff though is very friendly and helpful.

It was a really great experience, and we will definitely be going back. We ordered through the QR code provided, paid using the same QR code, and received everything without any delays. Absolutely awesome. I highly recommend it. The food and drinks were delicious, and the prices were reasonable—nothing above normal rates.

At the first glimpse looks lovely place to have your lunch. Unfortunately, glasses were dirty while serving soft drink, I have to say it have been changed after asking. It's rather cold here too. Well food.. Definatelly not Italian or even Italian style. Have tried many Italian dishes in my life and would say this one was the most memorable, and not in a good way. Definitely would suggest not to come and not to ruin your mood while visiting Rotterdam.

Just got of the station and searched for food options … was so pleasantly surprised by this place … ordering through the QR code was quick and efficient … food was delicious with plenty of veg options. Friendly and efficient service … will be going here again for sure !

Not that Italian food, a good amount of pasta but overcooked. You order through QR on the table, but the app doesn’t give you the option to remove the Parmesan that in some pasta, specially the one with fish, it’s not the ideal.

I found it incredibly difficult to order takeout here. It took two trips to find someone at the takeout counter (if it hadn’t have been pouring rain I would have skipped this place). The restaurant was crowded and loud and the food mediocre.

Good and easy food. Nice people working there. Well decorated. Clean toilets. I find the drinks overpriced (coke zero 4.95 for 33cl = a can of cola). And drinks take a while to arrive, but we were in no rush. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for an easy, tasty bite.

We thoroughly enjoyed every single dish. Everything was freshly prepared and tasted delicious, with no waiting time at all. The ingredients were fresh and of excellent quality. Great attention to detail in the interior. My favorites were the California Roll, the Truffle Fries, and the Japanese-style Crêpe. Definitely a place we’ll return to! 👍🏻

My family had a good experience here. Ordered a variety of food from sushi to lobster to edamame. Everything was good. We were also checked up on by our server and the chef to see how everything was. On top of that we were able to get a picturesque view of Erasmus bridge from the outside. I wouldn’t mind coming back here again if we ever swing by this way.

Super fresh seafood! We had a few appetizers by the bar. Definitely recommend tuna and salmon tartare, loved the way they served it. Portion was surprisingly big which is great! Rainbow roll was delicious as well. My husband really liked his toro beef carpaccio. Atmosphere and service were great, nice view on the bridge!

Went on both a Thursday and a Saturday evening. Have never felt more ignored at a restaurant...it took us almost 20 minutes for a host to even speak to us even though we had a reservation and the restaurant was half empty. The food was good but the service was severely lacking and both the servers and the hosts were extremely inattentive. Came back on a Saturday night to give it another chance and had an even worse experience. The food was inconsistent, and when we brought it up to the server that our starter looked way different then when we ordered on Thursday, they first tried to gaslight us into saying we ordered something different, and then admitted they were wrong and said that the chef was different that night so it must be it. They also let a very large and noisy party loiter at the bar and interrupt other patrons meals. Food was ok but definitely not anything special and you can get similar quality elsewhere for a better price and much better service.

I visited Aqua Asia already twice and really enjoyed it! The Asian food was super tasty – you can tell they put a lot of care into it. The sushi was amazing, especially the Red Dragon roll, which was definitely my favorite. The vibe was nice and the place looks great, but the only thing I didn’t love was that the tables were a bit too close to each other. Still, I’d totally go back!

This place is simply awful. We came for drinks and some apps. The food came before the drinks. The gyoza was slimey, and drink was so sugary that we had to send it back. I asked for a different drink and they told me the only option was to get the same drink re-made. It is so loud that you can’t talk. I will never come back.

One of the best Asian food experiences I've had so far! Staff were very professional! I've had the Chef's 4 course suggestion menu, because it was so hard to choose, as all of it seemed yummy! One word: Exquisite!

It feels like a cocktail lounge that I can chill at for a few hours enjoying good company while snacking some good food. The restaurant on this Thursday was surprisingly quiet, but the ambience that was in the restaurant with the live DJ was amazing. We went there for our anniversary and made the right decision as the staff were incredible, the cocktails were SLAPPING and the food was … good, but not great. Personally for me the food prices don’t justify the quality you get. Out of the 5 meals we ordered, only 1 was NOT sweet, and that was the sushi. If they reduce the sugar content of their sauces and not put sugar on all the meals we ordered, then it might have been a different review. But, the good side, the staff, manager and restaurant itself is awesome! Everyone is helpful and friendly and explain your meals to detail when serving you. Toilets are clean and well kept and as mentioned earlier, the ambience really sets a relaxing tone. I would recommend you go try this place for yourself, 100% get a cocktail, order the Hatosi and enjoy the experience.

Me and my best friend came here for some wine and oysters, and it was just perfect. The music was really nice, the waiters were super friendly, and the whole atmosphere was awesome. Great place to relax, enjoy good wine, and feel completely at ease.

These guys went above and beyond when I asked to make me one of their classic cocktails with a twist. A mezcal negroni. They even went to buy a new bottle especially for me. If that isn't worthy of 5 stars, then I don't know what is. Special shout out to the bartender and the waiter.

My partner and I found this place for her birthday and we had a great experience here. We split the Fruits De Mer Kaap and it was stellar. The staff was very nice and the food was amazing. We would 100% come back to Rotterdam just for this place and I'll be suggesting it to others as well.

Very nice place, crazy that not too many people know about it: a hidden gem FOR SURE. The food was amazing, the wine was incredible and the staff completed the experience even more: Ruchir was helping us out perfectly and patiently!!! Very chic food in a very comfortable setting, an atmosphere that is hard to reach for restaurants, which says a lot about its authenticity. Will be back for sure, and dreaming about the food in the mean time!

We went here for lunch (Louise Petit Dejeuner). This was on my foodie list for quite some time and had some expectations due to good reviews of others. However the food didn't meet my expectations. I was somewhat dissappointed. I mean the food wasn't bad. But it was not good either. Especially for that price level. Also we got a "Boulangers Latte" which contained Maldon Sea Salt, and it was SO salty. Like holy cow. The service was good, sadly the food was not on par.

I visited Louise Petit Restaurant in Rotterdam to celebrate my birthday, drawn by its reputation as an authentic Parisian bistro, as highlighted on their website. The ambiance promised a charming French experience with classic dishes, and I was eager to try it out. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the beef ribs, which were incredibly tasty and melt-in-your-mouth soft—perfectly prepared and full of flavor. Our waitress elevated the experience further with her friendly and attentive service. She took the time to guide us through the wine menu, recommending a bottle that paired beautifully with our meal, showcasing the restaurant’s focus on quality French cuisine and wine. However, the evening wasn’t without its downsides. The restaurant was extremely noisy and crowded, which detracted from the intimate bistro vibe I expected based on their description of a “cozy” setting. A group of over 20 people at the next table were constantly shouting, making it hard to enjoy our conversation. By the end of the night, I left with a headache from the overwhelming noise. Overall, while the food and service were stellar, the chaotic atmosphere made it challenging to fully enjoy my birthday celebration. I’d recommend Louise Petit for its delicious dishes and warm staff, but perhaps visit on a quieter night to truly savor the experience.

Morning cycling around the beautiful City, I visited a morning coffee shop and had a light breakfast. The cafe has a location overlooking the beautiful Yacht area, a poetic river. The staff is polite and professional, the preparation is very delicious, the drinks are also delicious. The morning is crowded with customers, and the sun is beautiful. I love coming back to this place. To my taste, the food is really, really good—elegant yet comforting, with rich flavors and perfect execution. Great attention to details and simple things. One example, I wish I knew where to buy the Jersey butter they serve—it’s absolutely divine. One downside, though: the kitchen smell tends to cling to your clothes, especially anything you hand over to the wardrobe. Be prepared to wash jackets afterward.

Fantastic Sunday brunch spot that ice come to a couple times now. Especially in the summer when it’s warm and you can sit in the terrace outside in the sun. Can be a bit pricey, but food is top notch, the menu doesn’t seem to rotate much though and doesn’t have a huge variety so we were a bit bored the 3rd time we went with the same dishes but they were still very good. The wine selection is fantastic as well as the caviar.

Lauren the manager is very good at taking care of her customers. We didn't book a reservation for happy hour for our first visit but still got sat. Our table was unfortunately very small so when did book a reservation for happy hour the following week. she remembered us and made sure to give us a table with ample space. Additionally, the food has been remarkably both times. The servers have been so friendly and inviting. Both Pamela and Stephan were fabulous.

This place is perfection. Everything from the furniture to the cutlery, staff uniforms to the food and location. A gem for the city. Feels like a miniature holiday. Also, they have the best waterbowls for dogs ⛲️

Nice atmosphere, friendly staff and probably the best grilled pulpo I’ve ever had, served on grilled aubergine and Paprika…Super delicious! I love seafood and this place has many options, it’s a tapas style place where you order different dishes and share it. Presentation was fabulous! I would highly recommend it for nice cozy dining experience. Reservation is recommended. Also dog friendly :) I’ll surely return.

Absolute highlight of my trip to Rotterdam, me and my friends all got the chef's lunch with the prosecco pairing. The waitress that served us was very helpful and knew the menu very well and could answer any question we have. The attention to detail in every aspect of the restaurant from the decor, tableware glassware, even the bathroom was impeccable. The food was fresh and every single bite was a delight. When we ordered the chef's special menu, we mentioned that one of my friends specifically loved octopus, the chef made him a special starter including octopus. I would whole heartedly recommend going to this place if you enjoy seafood and are in Rotterdam.

We had a very pleasant evening here at bar pulpo. The place is tiny but full of colors and lively. The guys at the service are very nice, the menu is small but super interesting and food tastes amazing! The concept is that you share your dishes with the rest of the table, something that I noticed Dutch people really love, I'm usually not a big fun but here at bar Pulpo I really enjoyed as the portions are big enough to be shared and enjoyed and the dishes are rich and tasteful. Also price is not too bad.

While the atmosphere and service at this restaurant were pleasant, the food quality left much to be desired. Despite the charming decor and comfortable ambiance, the meal itself was underwhelming. It was quite evident that the dishes were not made with fresh ingredients but instead relied heavily on frozen, pre-prepared food. This significantly impacted the flavor and overall experience of the meal, especially given the high prices, which did not reflect the quality of the food.

It can be once in a life experience for me i am not sure i would like to try it again. As a seafood lover the concept was quiet exiting to me but i was not expecting a mess like that. I think tables are not suitable for this concept in this restaurant. The sauce and juice can anytime leak from the table to your clothes. Restaurant was not very well air conditioned and from beginning a smell of served food hits your nose strongly. If you sensitive about the smell you shouldnt go there. Staff was nice and serving timely. Prices are quiet expensive when you think that Rotterdam is kinda capital of seafoood import and exportation. Ordering system is quite strange , everything must be ordered over the system even you need a quick refreshing beer.

DISAPPOINTED FIRST VISIT. On Thursday 21/08/2025. We were looking forward to trying this place our experience was not great. The food was not tasty at all. It lacked seasoning and didn’t feel fresh. Since it was our first time there, we had a few questions about the menu, but the 2 waitress assigned to our table seemed annoyed and impatient with us, which made the whole experience uncomfortable. After we spent more than €200 I was expecting a better service. Good service can often make up for average food, but in this case, both fell short. Sadly we won’t be coming back.

This is one of those must try experiences. We managed to get a table without a booking. We ordered the seafood boil combo. Food arrived quite quick and I must say for Dutch standards it was quite flavorful. Picking apart the seafood is quite a bit of work and also the food does get a bit cold as the meal goes on. Yes it is quite expensive but all in all worth the experience. The sangria was really delicious and wel priced.

Nice experience to try. We ordered the wow platter for 4 people. It certainly has the 'Wow' factor when it comes out. Food was tasty, however the sauce overpowers everything and there are too many empty muscles & clams. If we ever go again we would order a few different smaller dishes for variety. All in all a good meal.

Concept is quite OK, but execution of the food is not great. What could meat sausages do with seafood? Its extremely strange. Plus, they deliver the cooked food in the plastic bag, which is not sexy or tasty or arousing. Sauce is also not fantastic, and thats the key to success. I have dined inn similar restaurants and they were MUCH better with same idea.

The food here is amazing, as well as the decor. The biggest issue was regarding service. The staff didn’t explain you ordered via your phone. We also had a booking at 8:45 and due to cracking shells and getting the meat out, we were a bit slower at eating. We were not given a warning that they would be closing or the bar was closing. Howard the end of our meal, with no warning staff came over with the bill and a card machine. I informed them we were still eating and I’d like some water. We were told we could stay if we paid now. We had sauce and food all over our hands so this was incredibly inconvenient and quite rude. They should not have bookings so late if they want you out fast. The staff then turned off the music and waited at another table until we were done. As soon as we put our hands down they were over to clean up. We feel inconvenient despite the amount of money we had just spent. The customer service here is lacking and staff seemed to be bored. A separate issue was that we were seated by the window and people kept stopping and staring at our food. We even had a girl take a picture of our food through the window despite us waving her away. Staff should be doing more to move people on so their paying customers can enjoy their meals, we did feel a little on show. Overall, the food was amazing but staff and service let this place down. We don’t plan to visit again but if we did, we’d book an earlier a lot to avoid being forced out of the restaurant.

See regular hamburger pizza, vs plantburger pizza. On my plantbased one there's no cheddar, no pickles, burned veggie burger pieces, no hamburger sauce, nothing. Just dry burned pieces on dough. Thanks a lot.

This business is constantly canceling my Ubereats order for their own pleasure and showing it as if it was for another reason. If you are not going to serve people without any good reason, do not be on the Ubereats app.

They made a mistake and delivered only 1 pizza when they supposedly had a 2x1 pizza. I called and they refused to help and told me to order another pizza and pay for it

Good pice at a good price if you find a promotion. We got 2 small pizzas and 2 small ben and jerry ice cream for 14 euro. Not a special pizza but does the job if you are lazy to cook. Delivery to the rescue. Toppings are very similar to those in Dominos or Papa John

This is simply a fantastic Seafood Bar! It excels with absolutely outstanding food, conventional but marvellous dishes, plentiful portions while exquisitely prepared. A rich selection of seafood, including seasonal dishes and local ingredients/crustacea/fish. On top of it there is excellent proactive service and a reasonable vine list with well selected wines. And all of this at very reasonable prices, in fact excellent value of money.

Fishlovers paradise Waow! We had a great lunch today. We had the Sashimi of tuna and sandwich salmon. Top seafoodbar! Wine very tasty and fish delicious! Everybody who cames to Rotterdam needs to spend time here

Stumble on this place on coolhaven and we're really pleased we did. Cool place. It's like a beach bar. They have even put sand under the tables . Great prawns in garlic and herb butter and nice beer. Very friendly place.

We made a reservation and fortunately it was a good day that we were able to sit outside on the water's edge. scheermessen 5/5 The razor clams were hands down the best dish in our opinion, it has a flair in grilled flavour and delicious herbs to pair with it. Fresh off the grill, it is best enjoyed hot. pulpo met krieltjes 4.5/5 The octopus was particularly fresh and juicy, and even the tomatos are cooked to perfection. kokkeles 4.8/5 This was a joy to eat and very flavorful too. They are generous in portions and the sauce is absolutely delicious. broodje met aioli 4/5 Great side dish for the table, the aioli sauce is not bad but the bread goes much better with the olive oil from other dishes instead.

Had some drinks with a couple of friends here the other day. Both the drinks and the service were great! The waitress, Allegra, was very kind and made sure that we had everything we needed. Definitely recommend this place!

Only open on a sunny day during the summer season. Best to order and share the small dishes. Varied fish menu with friendly and fast service. Dog friendly. Food: 8 Razor clams: 9 Patatas bravas: super crispy

Insufficient staffing should not justify rudeness or subpar service. Even a simple snack bar provides better beverage service. An additional star is earned for the quality of the food; the chef did an excellent job.
