Points of Interest & Landmarks
The Alcázar de Jerez de la Frontera is a Moorish castle complex that offers a glimpse into the city's rich history. The site houses Arab baths, a palace with a camera obscura, and a tower providing stunning views of the city. Visitors can explore the historic center of Jerez on guided tours, where they'll encounter remnants of Roman, Muslim, and Phoenician influences.
Fantastic alcazar with nice gardens, an old mosque/church, hamam baths and a reproduction of an ancient olive oil production machine. The cost of 5€ is nothing compared to the site itself. Definitely worth a visit!
Timur C — Google review
An amazing building but a fascinating history right in the heart of Jerez. The building features both Christian and Islamic architecture reflecting the history of the area. You can go up the tower and walk some of the walks too. All in all exceedingly good value for €5 (concessions available-ask)
M K — Google review
Amazing old fortress to visit, a must do. We went on a Wednesday at 4.30pm, and did not have to wait to enter. This gave us 1.5 hours before closing time (last entry at 5.30pm) to view the complete complex (more than enough time). The tower and bathhouse are very interesting. It takes some effort to climb the staircase to the top of the octagonal tower, but well worth it.
Simon R — Google review
I found this a really interesting historical site covering the occupation of the area by both Islamic and Christian religions. I enjoyed the architecture and the way the fortress was designed to ensure survival by harvesting rainwater and a well for water from the local aquifer.
Ian W — Google review
Well worth the visit. Cheap entrance fee for the historical lesson. The building doesn't have too much on display, could host a lot more, seems empty other than an old pharmacy display, a few paintings and quite a lot of neat posters. The real deal here is the garden and the side buildings with their history and roles on display.
Balazs C — Google review
The place was very pleasant but the audio guide didn’t have matching signs so you have to guess a little bit were you were.
Filipa R — Google review
At first I wasn't sure, if I really want to go and miss the non rainy part of the day - I would do it all over! Loved it, especially the gardens! 🥰🥰
Irena — Google review
€5 to get in. Worth the visit as there are great views from several locations. The apothecary is a curio but the historic building is the attraction.

TABANCO EL PASAJE -VINOS y FLAMENCO en JEREZ- is a classic sherry bar and flamenco venue that offers an authentic experience in the heart of Jerez. The establishment, with its mint green walls adorned with caricatures of flamenco artists, is a local institution where you can enjoy local sherries, wines, and basic tapas while being entertained by live flamenco performances.
Amazing experience. The staff is incredibly kind and helpful. The Flamenco artists are very talented and perform with such a passion. The place is cozy and intimate. Plus, you eat while watching. The cost for lunch + show was less than for a performance at a theater. Not to mention there are more dates available than in other places. Can't recommend enough.
Guilherme F — Google review
A visit to Jerez must include a visit here. My 80 year-old father and I had a table right by the stage and we were blown away by the skill, passion and intensity of the flamenco show. The bar staff, tapas and sherry were also excellent.
Gareth W — Google review
This is a fantastic place in Jerez de la Frontera. It is very traditional and has a lot of charm. Everything was great! The food and drinks were truly outstanding. The flamenco show was also amazing. The dancers and singers were incredible. The price was very fair. I paid €35 for my food, drinks, and the flamenco show, which felt like very good value for money. I highly recommend this tabanco!
Erick V — Google review
You could quickly misunderstand this place as a tourist trap. But no, it is a wonderful experience if you book in advance. The food is nice, the sherry is...fine... and the atmosphere is flaminco.
Morten R — Google review
Not only somewhat tourist oriented free flamenco performances, but local and culturally important shows too. El Pasaje has great food and service at very reasonable prices.
Russell R — Google review
I loved this Flamenco experience. The show was very captivating and just an overall very fun experience. I would go back for sure. Definitely better than other touristy ones I tried in Sevilla. The small bar was cozy and charming and had more of an authentic feel to it. Very inviting and intimate. The ticket price covers for food and drinks which you can enjoy while watching. Prices are so reasonable I still had credit left by the end of the show. The tapas are good. We tried the cheese with membrillo (excellent), jabugo board, cheese board, sardinas, boquerones, jerez, beer, sangria. 10/10 recommend.
Daniela G — Google review
One of the most wonderful experience for us in Spain, a true old taverna with character, and a wonderful performance of the flamenco art. Make your reservations with days in advance.
Alberto G — Google review
Tabanco El Pasaje is a must-visit in Jerez. The **montaditos** are delicious, the **sherry wine** is excellent, and the atmosphere is unbeatable. What makes it truly special is the **live flamenco**, performed several times a day — authentic, passionate, and full of energy. A perfect mix of food, wine, and culture in the heart of Jerez. Highly recommended.

Its really the best tapas bar in town! The customer service is outstanding, the staff speak excellent English, are very professional and work tirelessly, always running up and down to make sure everything is perfect. Despite how busy it gets, they remain focused on every customer, always smiling and friendly. If you want a genuine tapas experience with amazing people around you, great atmosphere with singing, top quality sherry and food, this is the place you shouldnt miss!
Marianna F — Google review
This should be everyone’s first stop in Jerez. A flight of sherry including Fino, Admontillado, Oloroso, Cream & Pedro Ximenez, accompanied with either cheeses or meats is an education, an experience, a meal and a warm glow. I added one tapa each of morcilla & Butifara. It doesn’t get much better than this for €18 plus tip.
Mark L — Google review
We had a very relaxing lunch in this tabanco. The waitress was pleasant. We had a lovely glass of sherry and triend a few tapas, all delicious.
Em P — Google review
Fantastic place for tapas and sherry. The jamon was melt in the mouth. The staff were very friendly. A very popular place and I was lucky to get a table outside.
J S — Google review
Fantastic spot in Jerez to dive into the world of sherry. The sherry flight was a highlight – you get to taste the whole range of styles, each explained in a fun and approachable way. The staff make the place special: one in particular was not only super friendly but genuinely funny, which added a lot to the experience. Food is tasty with a nice variety that pairs well with the drinks. Be aware it gets very busy in the evenings and finding a table can be tough, but the atmosphere is worth it.

Bar Juanito is a traditional and authentic bar that has been serving local dishes for over 70 years. The bar offers a variety of tapas, with house specials including artichoke dishes, meatballs in oloroso, and berza jerezana. Guests can choose to dine at the bar, in the patio restaurant with live music on Saturdays, or in the larger formal space at the back.
If you want to immerse yourself in the Spanish emotion and enjoy their delicious food - this is the right place. The establishment is in a small street next to the central square. We visited on a Friday night and it was full of Spanish people laughing and enjoying life. They found us a table by the entrance and we could see all the people coming in from the noisy street. The service was great. The waiter, a smiling young man with a sense of humor, asked every time he passed us if we were feeling well and if we needed anything. The dignified lady behind the bar looked at us and if we looked around for a waiter she immediately sent us someone, even though the restaurant was full. The food was very good. We ordered a lot of things. Here they offer mainly meat dishes. They have three portion sizes - tapas, small and normal portion. This makes it possible to try more dishes. At the end of the evening we were treated to a sherry each. They are great. The prices are very good. If you are in Jerez, look no further.

Absolutely Devine, hidden gem do not miss. My wife and I had a superb meal here and would dine every week if they opened one in York, England. Keep it up and thank you for the experience. The Tuna is superb and I eat Tuna as a staple diet, so to be blown away is not easy.
Ray N — Google review
I’m SO picky and everything about this place makes me SO happy. Welcoming staff, great attentiveness in spite of how busy it has been on Al 4 (!) visits. And the food- oh my! Every morsel was beautifully prepared and memorable. The server recommended wines by the glass to accompany each item. The atmosphere was truly Spanish- warm, charming, attractive and traditional in the best of ways. I’ll go back every chance I get.
Marina T — Google review
Located in a beautiful little courtyard off the main plaza del Arenal. This is a fantastic place to eat great, interesting tapas and spend time. Highly recommended.
John W — Google review
Beautiful setting but book in evening to guarantee outside table. Waiters were friendly, efficient and put up with our bad Spanish. Menu was interesting and food excellent. My favourite restaurant in Jerez.
Elizabeth C — Google review
Very good tapas bar with affordable prices. Took everything Jerez on the list: berza jerezana, riñones al Jerez along with shrimp omelets and bull tail stew. Oops, forgot to try the artichokes. Great selection of sherries and wines as well.
Kalle K — Google review
Excellent choice! Unmissable!!! Huge portions. Small prices!!Fresh seafood. Rich choice of sherries 🍷 We had 4 half portions dishes for two persons. We were overfull!!! Highly recommend. SuperB. 10 ⭐️
Mary P — Google review
A reliable restaurant with traditional foods of Andalusia. They didn't have it 5 years ago, but on a recent visit they had added a short tapas menu where you can try more things in smaller portions. The house specialty is artichokes. It's not the cheapest, but it's smack in the center of Jerez and tourist friendly.

First time in Jerez but I felt this tapas bar is the real deal. Great selection of dishes, all of which were delicious. We ordered 6 dishes which was plenty for us. Apologies there's no foodie pics we were too busy enjoying our tapas.
Ian W — Google review
I went to this restaurant for lunch. The food was good but not excellent. The downside was the service. The waiters gossip about customers in front of them or criticize their choices. For example: I'm vegetarian and wanted to make sure that salmorejo didn't contain meat (in some places in Seville they serve it with ham). The waiter took my order and then passed it to a colleague, who laughed at my question and snorted, saying "another vegetarian." I called the waiter back and told him I'm a vegetarian and that, unfortunately for them, I also understand Spanish, so my question was legitimate. I also told him that I didn't think their behavior was respectful. He left without even apologizing. I don't recommend you this place. The price is excessive for the quality. There are better tapas in Jerez.
Jhon B — Google review
A fun lunch stop. Excellent , no tourists( except for us). Crowded with locals thoroughly themselves and the food. Staff worked very hard to ensure customers were well served. Well worth a return visit.
Stuart J — Google review
I have no idea why this place has the ratings it does. We certainly did not have a pleasant experience. The bar keep that took our order was ultra rude Not one time but 3 times. I don't think it's representative of the people we found throughout Andalucía. The other workers were pleasant. The food was so-so. The stools at the bar were uncomfortable for anyone to enjoy.
Francesca S — Google review
I had lunch. Very lively atmosphere with local people. So noisy almost difficult to converse. Food is delicious and surprisingly reasonable. Service is professional. Nice bullfight decor. Highly ecommend.
N B — Google review
Top spot! It opens in the evening just after 8 and its a bit like the old boxing day sales, sharpen your elbows to get a seat! Folk will perch themselves anywhere in this bar! The theatre of this alone makes it a fun evening. Yes, the waiters got our food wrong, but they sorted it! They got all sorts wrong, but that's what made it fun. The croquettes with spinach and roquefort were divine! As we're carrots in cumin. Hubby is still enthusing about the rabo de toro 🐃 Will 100% return!
Jacqui M — Google review
Beautiful local place, service is great. There was some wait but it was worth it. The chicharrons and the ox tail are a must try. Eat inside it's totally worth it.

Tapas bar
Tabanco San Pablo is a renowned tabanco in Jerez, known for its traditional ambiance and authentic local sherry. Established in 1934, it offers a classic tapas experience with specialties like the acclaimed tortilla de patatas and mouthwatering chicharrones. The bar is popular among locals and tourists alike, offering an opportunity to savor the region's sherries and wines.
As traditional Spanish tapas as it gets ! The big open doors at the front just drew us in, and once inside, the atmosphere and volume is why we come to this side of Spain.... The paraphernalia and poster art adorning the walls added to the authenticity of the Taberna style, and then the food started to come out.. Simple but sensational is all I can describe all the dishes, we had the Iberico Tortilla, meatballs in a rich tomato sauce and small chips to start, then the highlight for me was the seasoned, stewed chicken in a garlic and chilli oil with the small chips...just superb food... We finished with the generously sliced roast pork sprinkled with sea rocksalt and a couple of cold Manzanilla,s... The staff worked really hard all night to keep everything running smoothly, and they were more than helpful with everything we asked for.. Great night, Great place 👌
Steve S — Google review
We had an awesome afternoon here. Food was outstanding, especially the menudo (different than Mexican style) which was recommended by the bartender Javi (who was great). Service was excellent, atmosphere is fun and lively. It was one of our best meals on this trip so far!!
Gigi R — Google review
Initially tried Las Barillas nearby but we're basically ignored by the staff so gave this Tabanco a go. Fate proved fortune. A great location and bar with a traditional set up. The tapas here were excellent, of very good quality, portion size and value, we overheard another guest saying they were the best she had eaten and we were in agreement. The guys serving were friendly and professional. We received a nice welcome and were attended to promptly. We ate well and were unhurried. Definitely worth a 5 stars score on this occasion!
SYD H — Google review
I wouldn't recommend the house fino and the tierra blanca white wine. The tapas were OK, but in all fairness, nothing special. We ordered tomato aliyado (garlic), matured cheese, meatballs, and the carrillada (pork cheeks)
Simone A — Google review
One of the best places for ajo in Jerez. But it is seasonal, and only available on the weekend! The chicharrones is also quite good and this is one of the few places that serve them warm (but only randomly). The other food is more average. Also, this little pedestrian street is surprisingly loud and vaguely touristy sometimes.
Julliard — Google review
Food was high quality with nice presentation. Service was prompt and attentive. A great place to hang out.
Wells W — Google review
Tabanco San Pablo is a gem for enjoying **authentic tapas** in Jerez. I loved it so much I even repeated the **rabo de toro tapa**, which was outstanding. The **historic décor** inside gives the place real character, while the **outdoor seating** is perfect if you want to soak up a bit of sun. A spot full of tradition, flavor, and charm — highly recommended.
Gustavo I — Google review
This tapas bar is usually pretty busy - for good reason! It’s a great place to try the famous Jerez sherry - you can ask for a ‘surtido de jerez’ (selection of sherries) and they will bring you a few different ones to try. This usually includes fino (dry), oloroso (full bodied) and potentially some others. The tapas are delicious - I recommend the papas aliñadas (‘dressed potatoes’ or potatoes with olive oil, onion and garlic), chicharrones and the montadito Serranito.

Love this place for what it is. Lovely, rustic, tapas and small plates bar. Has an onsite enologist and lots of hard to find sherries. Of course they have traditional wine too, and mosto in season

Small local bar with good service and good quality beverages. There was no AC inside. The waitress was very nice and explained everything that we ordered. She was also helpful and selecting the right Sherry for me and my wife. I will return to this establishment on a cooler night.

A small family run establishment. Not all tapas were available. They could reduce their tapas menu to just the best selection. But it was pleasant, lots of sherry available and the lady who served us was polite.

Self-service (order at the bar) traditional tapas and wine. The food was just ok but the wine list is quite extensive. They have a ton of sherries, and they even have flights (catas) and pairings (maridajes).

We ordered - • Goats Cheese, Caramelised Onion, Walnuts and Honey • Fried egg, french fries and cured ham • Chargrilled octopus with mash potato and black garlic mayonnaise • Argentinian loin 350 g. • Lamb Cutlets Everything was really delicious. Service was great. Our waiter, Chacon was really nice and he speaks English too! Definitely a must try. 10/10 recommend. We will surely be back here to try their other dishes.

Always fresh and delicious, this is a wonderful restaurant. It’s always bustling and has a great vibe. The staff are wonderful. And the food is excellent. The grilled vegetables, by the way, are superb and this menu has a ton of vegetarian options. I’ve been going to this place for years and simply adore it.
Nicola R — Google review
We went here on Friday night, a party of 12 people to eat. Not a great experience. The waiter who greeted us and took our order and brought the starters out was far too rapid, no patience, very brusque manner, not pleasant at all. He was like a whirlwind, shouting out the names of the dishes and almost dropping them down in front of us then gone. Hard to get him back when there was confusion/problems with the dishes and then very rude and abrupt with his responses, shoving the menu in front of me to tell me I was wrong, but two other people who had ordered the same dish had also had overlooked a key word in the description. When the mains came out we had a lovely lad who interacted and checked we had got the right plates before placing them very courteously but still efficiently, laughing and joking with us at the same time. The food was ok but definitely not brilliant especially considering not cheap. The toilets were not very clean at all. We were really glad to get out of the place. There were hardly any options on the menu for someone with multiple food intolerances. I has the prawns in garlic and those were really good to be fair. Would not return, nor would anyone else in the party and although they were on holiday from the UK, we personally have lived here for seven years so we know what is good service, good treatment, good food and a good experience in Spain. In fact I rarely ever have to put a negative review and we travel and eat all over Spain so very disappointing as our family were only here for 3 nights
Tina H — Google review
I love this place so much. Too good to not go there. Delicious food and friendly talkative staff that I like a lot. Nice design and good looking dishes with variety of sherry. Yam

Staff was amazing: Friendly, fast, making jokes and enjoying themselves while serving high quality food. Their combination of praws, avocado and cocktail sauce in a salad was extremely well done, all flavours were balanced and combined fresh, sweet, sour and umami in 1 dish. Their menu had a lot of unique dishes and all which we tried were excellent. It is also located nicely on a wider street so while eating on the terrace other pedestrians have plenty of room to walk by. Best tapas restaurant we visited in 3 weeks of travelling through Spain.

A wonderful experience, very friendly and helpful staff who genuinely made feel that they valued your patronage. My wife and both ordered the Iberian pork in a sherry sauce and it was delicious. Excellent house wine and we were totally relaxed. And just to cap the evening off we were given a complimentary glass of sherry. The total package of excellent service, food and wine means I would very highly recommend this restaurant.

I enjoyed our time here. The food was okay, a good wine list. We came in May and the service was a mess, though on our second visit the serving team was running smoothly and full of Bon ami. The location is ideal and a great place to people watch as the locals promenade down Plateros on the weekend

La Carboná is a renowned restaurant in Jerez de la Frontera, housed in a former wine cellar dating back to 1898. It has a romantic and traditional atmosphere, making it a must-visit for those seeking an authentic dining experience. The menu offers refined tasting options and sherry pairings, with standout dishes like diced red tuna from Almadraba, Iberian ham croquettes, roasted Conil tomato tartare, and Iberian pork shoulder.
Amazing experience here. I had the tasting menu for lunch with the wine pairing. Everything was delicious. The presentation was on point. And the atmosphere, top notch.

It took 4 attempts for them to recognise our booking, even though we pointed to it on their list and the waiter repeated the name 3 times and we said 'si' and 'yes' each time. We were shown to our table (with a dirty tablecloth), ordered two Cavas and two taster menus, which came with a drink for each course. Our Cava arrived, together with a tiny plate of pate and some toast to share. We were totally confused as the first course on the taster menu was pate but we had only been served one between us, with no accompanying drink. On querying this, we were brought 2 more pates, which looked and tasted exactly like the first, and told the original was complimentary. We never got the wine pairing that was on the menu but, being confused, and not speaking Spanish, we just continued with the rest of our meal, which was very good. Communication needs to be improved, and a menu in a variety of languages would have helped.

We came here on our last night in Jerez, bases on hotel's concierge recommendation. This was by far the best food experience and taste in Jerez and all of spain "based on the restaurants we tried on our stay in various cities in Spain. Super cute place. The service amazing, the food overall was great. Our favorite by far was the veal, just amazing. A place for sure worth trying if you are in the area.

Just an amazing experience from front to back. Very good and charming service. Not perfect though but you had everything you need and you see that the staff is trained and loves to do it. I would recommend the tasting menu. It was super tasty and even adjustable for my girlfriend (lactose free) and it comes with a full sherry wine pairing which was awesome. We had a great night.
Bernd V — Google review
Excellent food and service. Beautiful ambience. Loved their foie appetiser, carabinieros, pork shoulder and suckling pig. Ice cream was great too. A word of caution with prawns as they are priced per 100 g. Eventually 4 steamed prawns came double the price of the main course. Overall great experience
Anna C — Google review
Underwhelming given all the 5 star reviews. We picked from the al la carte menu and chose 3 small starters, two of which were lukewarm and just average in taste, under seasoned. For mains we had sea bass which was small but nice and pork belly which lacked flavour and wasn’t as tender as it should have been. The vegetable side was cold. Our booking was for 8pm but the staff were not ready for service and were coming in late while we were sitting there. The overall experience lacked any wow and is not at the level it should be. We didn’t feel it was overly expensive , but certainly weren’t leaving feeling like we had a great taste experience.

Amazing and authentic food and atmosphere. The space is super beautiful with high ceilings. The food feels really well prepared with great produce. Solid wine menu, and obviously a wide selection of sherries. Must visit if you're in Jerez

Bodegas Tradicion is a charming winery located in Jerez, specializing in sherry production. Despite being one of the younger bodegas in the area, it boasts some of the oldest and most exquisite sherries. The winery offers upscale tours where visitors can witness the aging process of their wines, including fino that is aged for at least eight years before release.
We had a wonderful visit followed by an even more wonderful Jerez tasting. Alejandro was our guide and took care of answering all of our many questions. It’s located in the heart of the city, which also makes it easy to go by foot (approximately 15minutes from the main plaza) which is very important if you are tasting alcohol. The place itself is amazing! Would recommend it 100%.
Maria M — Google review
We took a wonderful two-hour excursion through the bodega, including a sherry tasting accompanied by a visit of the private painting collection, which dates back to the 15th century. Alex (Alejandro) did a fantastic job explaining the various steps of sherry production. They also produce a wonderful brandy.
Gregor R — Google review
I really recommend the private tour suited to your needs. Not only did we learn about the fascinating history of the bodega and how sherries are made but we had the opportunity to have beyond an amazing tasting within the bodegas art gallery. I am sorry that i dont remember the name of our guide that was originally from Germany but she made the experience what it was and we are very grateful.
Omar A — Google review
We had an outstanding tour and tasting, here, and got to see the private art collection (the El Greco was our favorite). Alejandro was super informative, answering all our questions, and explaining the process the various sherries go through. They only sell VOS and VORS (20 and 30 year old) sherry, and are family run, so it has a unique and personal feel.
Chris S — Google review
Amazing tour of a smaller quality sherry production. I would recommend coming in with a little knowledge on sherry production or starting with a different tour if you're taking multiple, but would highly recommend this tour. The tapas plate and the small art gallery were also lovely touches. Save a little extra time for getting there. The path is a bit confusing and they keep the main gate locked, but it was not hard to get in and they were very helpful - just might be stressful if you're running behind!
Madison B — Google review
An excellent bodegas to visit. Pur guide was very knowledgeable and accommodating. The wines were spectacular. They specialise in older sherries with real depth of flavour. We came across this bodegas by chance and we're so glad we did.

Amazing place, amazing tour, amazing wines! Special shout-out to Maria who is an extremely knowledgeable, engaging and attentive guide 👏

Great tour of this traditional, yet, fairly new bodega. Very friendly. People took us on the tour around the bodega and gave its history followed by winetasting with the added benefit of the small art gallery with some wonderful pieces. For the uninitiated, a great way to get an understanding of the making of Sherry

Restaurante La Cruz Blanca is a popular tapas bar located in Jerez, known for its lively atmosphere and delicious food. The restaurant offers a well-curated Sherry list and innovative dishes by chef Miguel Angel Rubiales, incorporating seasonal products like almadraba red tuna and mushrooms.
Really good food Very friendly and good service We ate at 2 p.m. and had perfect shade from the summer sun The special was seabass, which my wife said was excellent My daughter had a fantastic paella My Buffalo Tomato salad was banging Not for those on a budget but really good
Rich H — Google review
We came on a tour to the hammans and went to this restaurant for lunch. The food was awful and expensive! The octopus, seafood paella, and sea bass were terrible. The flavors were barely there and the seafood was not fresh + smelly. Paella was small and wet. The iberico ham was good but very thin small slices. We were confused about how big the sea bass dish was and ended up ordering too much as an order was 1 whole fish (we got 3 for 6ppl). It was our fault but we did ask the server if it was too much food and of course they said it's not. I think it was a little deceiving on their end but besides that, the food tastes terrible. I can't recommend this place.
Kit — Google review
Delicious food, great service, excellent location. I had a lovely lunch here, at a corner of the terrace. Eating tapas alone is always a bit awkward in judging the portion sizes. But it was all good. I love the seafood salad most. Service really is fantastic. I'll be back... and I highly recommend!

Wonderful find. We were just passing and saw beautiful plates of food on the busy terrace. A quick Google and we decided to have lunch. American portion sizes, a good wine list and plenty choice. The burata salad was delicious with two types of tomatoes, my husband loved the white anchovies which are hard to find and the seafood salad was full of different types of fish. Full plates and tapas so something for everyone. Lovely shady square. Full of locals. No tourists but very central

Oh my goodness! What a place! We were lucky to find something open at 7pm at Jerez! And that was a surprise! Service and food on incredible level. We had a seafood salad - well balanced, scorpio pate with caviar, red tuna tartar with avocado and wakame, confit octopus with potatos and as a dessert just panna cotta but with black vanila ice cream and red fruits! All accompanied with jug of Sangria! Thats all for just 2 hungry and tired tourists on their way around Andalusia! Thank you for a great evening! Will have best memories from that place!

The bad thing was that they gave us a shared table, in a space where the baby carriage couldn't fit. They offered us a change to a high table and despite having low tables, more comfortable to serve the baby, they denied them saying that they were already reserved… 🤔… anyway…. The service alone for that reason, for me, terrible. I DO NOT recommend going as a family if you use a baby carriage. We ordered the vitello, tonnato, anchovy and piparra salad, and it was very good. The papardelle, galley soup and prawns from Sanlúcar, delicious, the shame is that they arrived cold, but the pasta and sauce were very good. And confit cod with pistachio and pancetta pesto was good, but not exciting. The tiramisu for dessert was very good. (Translated by Google) The decoration of the place is spectacular, cared for in every detail, we already liked the one at El Almacén, but here they have surpassed themselves. We had dinner early so the staff's attention was very good. The tuna cracklings, exquisite. The only drawback we saw was that the pinsas, even if you share them, end up getting cold, and the cheese hardens. I don't know if served in dishes that retain more heat they would last until consumed. The prices are more than correct, we will repeat, for sure.

Alboronía is a highly recommended restaurant located in the heart of Jerez de la Frontera, offering a unique blend of traditional and Moroccan-inspired cuisine. The menu features dishes like tajine, beet hummus, eggplant with honey, and croquettes. With prices averaging around 8 euros per dish, the restaurant focuses on perfecting a select range of offerings to ensure that every choice is exquisite.
We stumbled onto a small gem today. In a tiny alley in the old "Juderia" of Jerez is Alboronía. A small, simple, and unpretentious restaurant with amazingly delicious food. A fusion of Arabic and Andalusian cuisine. It's so good that we booked a table for a second night. Let Victor, the passionate owner, recommend the dishes (on and off the menu) that can/should be shared. Thus, one gets an extended assortment of mouthwatering delightful experiences. His wife is the magician in the kitchen.

Amazing restaurant!! Quiet and relaxed atmosphere, amazing service taking care of every detail, and great food. From bread to dessert, delicious food: croquettes, alboronía dish, hummus, cheesecake... everything cooked with a perfect balance. A place to come back more than once. Thank you!!

I visited on Sat. & the owner was present. He engages with customers & suggests plates. I trusted him to pick a drink & two plates. The 2x wines he brought to taste, were both flat & almost empty bottles. He seems like wanting to finish the bottles asap. The two plates were presented in words way better than they actually taste! A mixed veggies similar to Mousakka wt goat cheese. Overcooked & I'm not impressed by it. The 2nd plate was couscous with tiny chicken cubed, also overcooked & reheated. Chicken should be bone-in or large chunks. I noticed he suggests the same 2x plates to all customers (5x tables) as if they cooked a big patch at kitcken & tried to sell it out. He got arguemental & borderline rude after I told him the veggie dish is a plane mousakka. He abruptly took the plate away & off my table with out asking if I finished! They don't give extra bread (waiter told me ran out!). Which I know it's not true. Overall, I believe an arrogant owner is dangerous to restaurant's reputation. Especially if he assumes that tourists are stupid & not aware what a good cousine is. I felt uncomfy & manipulated to the most expensive price tags with the cheapest ingriedients.

Delicious food, staff is super friendly. Tucked away in an alley, nicely styled. They have a couple of good vegetarian and vegan options. I had the hummus with pita bread and croquettes. Both were great. Recommended!

Really really good. It’s a fusion restaurant, didn’t have time to try more plates but i could i say that the tacos were espectacular. Fast service, friendly owner and waiter.

We really enjoyed our lunch at Alboronia - it's a little of the beaten track but especially during Semana Santa it was nice to find a quieter restaurant. The court yard is very atmospheric, calm and peaceful. The food is outstanding - the menu changes frequently and is a mix of Spanish and Moroccan cuisine, tapas-style. Pricing is also reasonable for the quality and number of dishes.

We had a lovely meal here back in September 2019. We're back in Jerez four and a half years later and visited today for lunch. I'm delighted to report that nothing has changed. Food and service were great. We had a spicy chicken tagine, the alboronia take on ratatouille, some creamy chicken balls 3 glasses of wine and some delicious raisin bread . Everything was so satisfying and flavoursome and all for just €45.

Solid/Top Drawer, Special place. Very Very few hours that they are opened- so get there early for a table/make reservations. Every item on the menu is well prepared, I had 4 items, and recommend the "POP" flavors that really make this place OTT/over the top. Super special place/location- sitting outdoors when the weather is cool/comfortable....is really nice/the neighborhood vibe is really nice. Bottomline....run, don't sit there....run now...to the phone...get into this place...it is wonderful....
Michael M — Google review
Tourist-friendly, modern eatery in the middle of a famous flamenco street. Menu is in English. The food here is sloppy, given the prices. Unfortunately Jerez is in the middle of its love affair with the genre of Asian Fusion Restaurants. (Throwing soy sauce or ginger in a dish doesn't make it clever, or good!) Temperatures and textures were also off. It all just comes across as a superficial understanding of Korean or Japanese or Thai or Chinese or all these other cuisines from which they borrow flavors and blend messily together.
Julliard — Google review
The food portion might seem medium size but that gave the opportunity to try more. The place is relatively cheap, staff are welcoming, menu exists in english and in the form of picture cards (that made the selection easy) and the service was great. Highly recommended

An unforgettable dining experience! The food at Kino’s is simply amazing, and the wine selection is exceptional. What an amazing and unexpected experience! We were staying close and looking for some tapas. We wandered in and Quino the owner led the experience! He suggested his favorites and paired wines for us accordingly. He makes his own Sherry which was very good and a treat to try as well. It is a beautiful ambiance, excellent food and was one of the highlights of our trip to Jerez. He made excellent recommendations of other places for us to try. 12/10 experience. We will definitely be back if we find ourselves back in Jerez.

This restaurant is an absolute must when it comes to food in Jerez. The waiter is very kind and patient. His grandmother’s meatball recipe dominates all others. Every single dish the owner recommended was astoundingly good - our whole family has been talking about the meal for days. We would travel to Jerez again just to come here! Thank you for the experience.

Had an amazing time here with the family – even our two notoriously fussy kids cleared their plates and loved every bite! The food was beautifully presented, each dish came with a little story, and the service was absolutely top-notch. You have to try Grandma’s meatballs – seriously delicious. If you’re in Jerez, this tapas spot is a must.

We came to Tabankino based on a recommendation, and we were not disappointed! Delicious tapas - the sardines on toast and the filo parcels were highlights. Warm and friendly service. Las Cuadras is a charming bar located in Jerez, offering a delightful spot to enjoy drinks and light meals. Tucked away on the corner of Plaza de la Ascuncion, the bar's whitewashed walls are adorned with old farming tools, creating a unique ambiance. Visitors can savor fabulous food while being entertained by regular live flamenco performances. The spacious interior features decor reminiscent of a traditional Spanish countryside restaurant, providing an authentic experience.
4 of us had lunch here. We all had great looking and tasting food. Service was attentive without being overboard. All very reasonably priced. And for this Northern European, happily in the shady corner of the square.

Fun tabanco/bar built in the place of an old prison (1600s-1800s) which later became stables (cuadras). Decor on the walls is very cool and a little bit sinister - you definitely kind of feel like you're in a Victorian-era prison with all the iron tools and old dolls. Food is fine, apparently they get very busy on weekends. They're one of the establishments that host zambombas preceding Christmas.
Julliard — Google review
I had the good fortune of stumbling in here after attending the Vendimia Pisa de la Uva in 2016 and I was not disappointed. The ambiance inside is spacious and they have adopted the decor of a typical venta, or Spanish countryside restaurant. In addition to a full bar, there are traditional tapas menus to choose from. This is easy find is steps away from three of the main attractions in the Center of Jerez and an excellent option for a more quiet, and less crowded meal.

After sightseeing in the sun, came across this little gem. Located near the cathedral. The owner and his fabulous team couldn't do enough for us. We had a fabulous lunch with beers, wine and soft drinks. They had a good choice on the menu from tapas to a full meal. I opted for the house special, fish served with peppers, onions a delicious sauce and bread. Cooked to perfection 👌. Then came puddings, a little piece of heaven. Described as orange cheesecake, but so much more. A great lunch and definitely worth a try. Be guided by the waiters, if you're not very good at spanish like me. Their recommendations were perfect.

Its fine...on a side street so nothing special. €25 for a bottle of white wine was quite pricey for the location given we had paid €14 in the main square
Laura C — Google review
Disastrous experience, started good with a beer and croquetas de jamon, which secured the 1 star mandatory on the food. After choosing from the menu our dishes, we were recommended some extra daily dishes, including a highly recommended Entrecote we chose. After a long wait, we received 2 entrecote, over cooked on the outside and raw on the inside (which is fine for my taste, but never seen such thick meat as dry as this), additionally the smell of the meat clearly indicated the cuts were not fresh, making the dish disgusting and unsafe to say the least. We couldn't eat more than a quarter of the dish and just asked for the bill, looking forward to getting over this experience, Here the last surprise, the dish alone, was charged 25€ each, which just added an horrible feeling of being scammed like never before in Spain. No comment from the staff on our critique about the food quality.
Nicola V — Google review
The restaurant has a nice environment. So we sat down and waited for a long time for the waiter to take our orders. The waiter told us that the specialty of the day is entrecôte, which we ordered. We waited for a long time again for the food to be ready. Luckily there was nice croquette we ordered. Finally when the entrecôte came we felt really frustrated because it smelled weird, like a meat that was going rotten. Cutting the first piece wasn’t a nice experience either since we saw it was not cooked at all. For this piece of meat and plain potato pieces we paid 25 euros. When we approached the waiter about the issue, instead of a simple apology he chose to justify why he thought it was ok. Luckily I trust my senses and I know what a good meat is. 2/10.
Tuğçe U — Google review
A party of 4 adults 2 children, put into the little back room. so can forgive the 30 minute + wait for food but as the food started to be served we each had to stare at our plates, waiting for the cutlery. We asked the next waitress bringing the next plates, but still no, eventually had to go and get the cutlery ourselves. ! Food was authentic, inventive, and delicious. And saved the day. Great coffee. The loudspeaker was just above us and would have preferred if it was a little more 'background" in the small back room. Local parking is free on a Sunday.

Flamenco theater
Restaurante A La Feria is a no-frills tabanco with a lively atmosphere and cheap drinks. The yellow-walled tabanco is adorned with bullfighting memorabilia and offers wonderfully simple, meat-heavy tapas. It's a popular spot to experience authentic flamenco performances while enjoying Spanish wine or Galicia del Sur. The place exudes an old-world charm, with an unpretentious setting that adds to its appeal.
Exceptional experience in a very rustic Tabanco. Antonio is a very friendly and attentive host who knows how to make his customers feel very welcome. The set price tapas and drink menu is very good value given the entertainment that is provided. The flamenco show was simply amazing and very authentic, 5 very talented artists performing on a small stage and clearly enjoying every moment in entertaining the guests. If you want a genuine and memorable flamenco experience, this is the place to visit.
SYD H — Google review
We discovered this restaurant by chance while searching for a place to eat. We arrived around 8 PM, and Antonio greeted us at the entrance. He asked if we had a reservation and informed us that there would be a live flamenco show that evening. He kindly offered us a front table without requiring a reservation, and it was clear that Antonio was passionate about his restaurant; his friendliness was unmatched. Without hesitation, we decided to return at 9:30 PM as he suggested. During the flamenco show, we were served drinks and five different types of tapas. It was, without a doubt, the best place to enjoy a meal while watching a talented flamenco performance. So, if you're still wondering whether you should dine at this place, you would be foolish to miss it!

Beautiful Flamenco dancing and singing with live Spanish guitar. All the artists are extremely talented. We really enjoyed our evening. The food was delicious and the service was amazing🤩
Erum E — Google review
Need to reserve for the show ahead of time. We went for the 10 o'clock show and it didn't start until 10:30 pm. 36 Euros for 2 people included one drink and food. It is a very small place with only a small walkway through the center of the room and the stage at the end. The performance was fantastic but unfortunately, the waiter was busy serving throughout most of the show, walking back and forth, thereby blocking the view repeatedly. (We were seated towards the back) It was very frustrating trying to watch a show like that. The food was pretty bad. Poor quality and some very greasy items. The best item was the jamon. The worst was the croquet and camorone frita (soggy, greasy, rubbery, and barely any shrimps in there) Lots of very greasy food which we left untouched. I think they can rethink their food offering and maybe cut back on some items to improve the overall quality of each dish. They can also change the format on how to serve it (perhaps have the food all set up before the arrival of customers) for a better experience.
Pokemon M — Google review
The best flamenco I’ve seen in Andalusia: intimate, powerful, magnetic. The owner, Antonio, leads his restaurant with heart and soul. From the two euro wine to the blisteringly good croquetas to the acoustics of this unassuming Tabanco, this was truly the highlight of our holiday. Cannot recommend enough.

The 1 star is basically for the service and hygiene. They take a very long time to attend the tables inside and the tables outside are completely ignored. I just don't think there are sufficient waiters. The food is okay, but the cakes need to be refrigerated and the hygiene is questioning. One of the staff members was manipulating the dirty dishes and then went into the kitchen to prepare the food. There was no washing of hands in between that action. The place is very noisy and the tables were not tidy.

Designed by the same architect as Plaza de Espana in Seville, it features a prominent Fundador sherry logo at its peak. The tiny tapas bar offers updated bites and an outdoor seating area for enjoying sherries and gin and tonics.
Fantastic place to see and feel Jerez at it's up most social being. Saw this establishment during are day of sight seeing and had to experience it and was not disappointed. Great tapas and fabulous service and just steps away from shopping to your delight!

Beer and BAILEYS are quite cheap, see the photo. Amazing old bulding, decoration, very cool toilette. The reason I didn't give 5* is the beer measure. A quarter of the measure was foam. Meanwhile Spanish guests had their beer glass filled with beer, not foam.
Baumeister A — Google review
The torrija was a disappointment but not horrible. Also they served us the hazelnut ice cream instead of the dulce de leche ice cream which we ordered. Lucky no one was allergic. Staff is nice, atmosphere good.
Daniela B — Google review
Don't eat here if you're hungry! The portions here are small, even the full size portions are only the size of most other tapas dishes found elsewhere. The service was rubbish. The waitress tried to remember our order but forgot most if. Our starters came at the end if the meal after several repeated reminders. We were the only people in the restaurant but it took a long time to get any food at all. When it did arrive, the food was really nice, which is the only reason I gave 3 stars. There are much better places just a few yards away from this place. I recommend going there instead.
Lee W — Google review
The location is great but the service is horrible and the food really greasy. I have been there twice this time because of the location but I won‘t come back as the staff is extremly unfriendly and ignored me all the time. I waited for at least 10 minutes until I could order. There was no nice word, no smile… When I asked for the bill I was waiting again for a long time while she was cleaning the table and chatting with her colleague. I had to go inside to pay. If tourists are not welcome then put a sign outside. We can spend our money somewhere else. But don’t treat us like rubbish.

Came here to try some wines of Jerez. Good service, good prices
JPM F — Google review
Great location on the square, which was crowded with people and some street artists. Service was horrible and borderline rude. Didn’t have food because it took about 20 min to even get a drink. Servers seemed very put out to help us. I would understand if it was overwhelmingly busy, but their crowd seemed manageable. They seem to do well because of location, but finding a spot a little further off the main thoroughfare was a better experience.
Susan W — Google review
Quite a beautiful building that has just recently opened again. The new interior is a bit cheesy in my opinion (just to be critical), and we ordered “dos finos” and were served two glasses of white wine (Verdejo) 🙄🤷🏼‍♀️ We also had to struggle for 15 minutes to get served - even though there were two waitresses in a room with 5 tables with people.. Hopefully they will up their game the next few days because this amazing building and location deserves a lovely atmosphere 😍🙌

Coffee shop
Bar Cafetería Levante is a popular spot for locals and visitors alike, especially after events like the motogp. The bar offers a clean and inviting atmosphere, with tapas available to accompany your drinks. One of their signature drinks is the '43', which has hints of vanilla and other secret ingredients, served with an ice cube. While some find it too sweet for their taste, others enjoy its unique flavor.
Levante is a very good place for breakfast. They also do fried eggs with ham or bacon and tomatoes. Very friendly service and very reasonable prices. Always busy specially in the morning. Nice atmosphere.

We had tostadas for breakfast here, and the bread was really dry. They were okay but not great. The outdoor seating was nice, and there were fewer people approaching us for money than in the center of town, but the cafeteria next door also has outdoor seating and better tostadas (we tried that place the next day).

Tried here because we were staying in the Casa Grande hotel and noticed lots of locals eating here: always a good sign.! Excellent paella and very reasonable prices.
Trevor T — Google review
Late Sunday drink here after today's motogp. Clean & some tapas available. One of the locals was having this 'chaser' so I tried it...43 has a hint of vanilla & 43 ingrediants. It is served with an ice cube. A little too sweet for my palate.

Good place for breakfast and a quick lunch. Correct food and prices (!!!) and nice people, a bit reserved in the beginning, just be persistent, the thaw eventually!

My go to local Cafe bar. They setv the most traditional and tasty main stays. A must stop at their meal hours you only leave wondering why you didn't venture here first. A most pleasant and great place for local fare and drinks. It's a nice place and treated very good no matter the time of day. Love it.

Beer hall
La Frontera de Jerez is a popular spot in Jerez de la Frontera, offering a wonderful selection of beers and delicious tapas. Situated in one of the most beautiful squares, it's an ideal place to unwind after work or on weekends. The cerveceria boasts a diverse beer menu including locally brewed options such as Blonde from the Jerez 15&30 brewery and Califa IPA from Cordoba.
Happened on this place by lucky coincidence rather than diligent research! Good selection of beers including locally brewed ones. We had the Blonde from the Jerez 15&30 brewery, the Califa IPA from Cordoba, the Mestiza from Chiclana de la F, and the Pinonera wheat beer from Puerto Real - all were excellent. Definitely worth a visit. It has a nice shady beer garden too.
Alan G — Google review
The place has a beautiful outside terrace. Very nice to have a good drink and catch some sun. They offer a variety of drinks. Including beer from the tap, wine, and other beverages. All of which were very good! The food was average and nothing we would recommend. Basic tapas for mass consumption. Not bad - not good. The staff is very friendly. For a nice cold drink a perfect spot.
Lara K — Google review
Great selection of beers and they have a lager of their own which is quite good. The bartender was helpful in offering different bottles as we had never heard of the microbreweries in Jerez or the Cádiz área. We enjoyed our stop for a drink!
Sarah R — Google review
A good option in the area for craft beers and an updated "gastropub" ambiance. In other words, it feels more like an American bar, and less like a tabanco. Prices seems reasonable with bottles around 2-3€ and drafts with two sizes available. As far as food, we only had three croquetas and patatas bravas. Both were good; the salmon croqueta tasted exactly like a bagel with cream cheese and lox.
Julliard — Google review
Great selection of beer and really tasty tapas. Definitely a place to come back to.
Mon S — Google review
Great cerveceria in the middle of Jerez. A bit run down with the obligatory sub-human bathrooms bit with a decent beer menu. Friendly and attentive staff. We will come back!
Bull D — Google review
Cute beer place with a great patio and good selection of tapas. Even various vegetarian ones which is desperately needed here! Tasty, too.

This place is a true gem. If you like cocktails or rum, good company or great service, this is the place for you. We only spent so much because we ordered so many cocktails! The best cocktails I’ve had in Spain. Highly recommend.
Sarah G — Google review
As a rum lover and someone who has visited and loves Cuban culture, I'd found and saved this place before even arriving in Jerez. It exceeded my expectations. Although surprisingly quiet (weekday evening) we were warmly welcomed and had bespoke cocktails made for us. The setting is beautiful and very relaxing. I highly recommend a visit to this wonderful gem!
Emma H — Google review
It was a real pleasure to meet Eloy and have the opportunity to try some of his cocktails. Every cocktail was absolutely delicious!! Muchas gracias Eloy 🙏🙏🥳🥳
Simone A — Google review
This bar is FANTASTIC. The drinks are a little pricey, but they are totally worth it. My brother and I spent two hours here and got a number of fancy cocktails. They were each really really well made. The owner, Eloy, made all of our drinks and he was really nice and ended up talking to us for a while about the history of the bar and his family. It’s a true mom and pop place and it was sad to see that there weren’t more people. The bathrooms were really clean, the place was adorable, the music was great. I highly highly recommend this place!!
