Absolutely fantastic! I had the whole fried tilapia and it was hands down one of the best fish dishes I've ever had. Perfectly crispy on the outside and incredibly tender and flavorful on the inside. The location is perfect, right by Beale Street and across from the famous Peabody Hotel. The atmosphere was lively and the service was excellent. If you're in Memphis and looking for a delicious meal, you have to try The Flying Fish!

Flying Fish down town is always a go 2 when im feeling myself . The fish on the left is grilled red fish(they replaced snapper with red fish). The fish on the right side is rainbow trout(with skin). My 2 sides where red beans w/ rice & New Patatoes . The fish was fantastic the cook and the sear was on point. The Patatoes was aaiiiiii8888(that's garlic butter sauce would pair nice with a steak); but the red beans and rice need alot help.The red beans and rice taste like kidney beans and white rice mixed together. They need some type of Rue or sauce to meet the beans half way with the sauce.

If you’re in Memphis and craving great Southern food, The Flying Fish is a must! I had the catfish fillets and hush puppies, and they were absolutely perfect. The catfish was crispy on the outside, tender and flavorful on the inside — cooked just right without being greasy. The hush puppies were golden, fluffy, and packed with flavor — easily some of the best I’ve had. The casual, laid-back vibe of the place adds to the charm, and the service was fast and friendly. Definitely worth a stop if you’re in the area!

The food at these prices is excellent! I like the fried catfish qnd the fried shrimp the most. My mother is a really picky eater, but she loves this place. She wanted to return after we first visited.

The food here is absolutely amazing i had the grilled shrimp tacos and the new manager she made sure everything was perfect and to my liking. I def recommend this place. Plus their gator nuggets and the sauce it comes with is delicious 🤤.

Great place to get some fish. We had just left a cigar bar and bumped into a hospitality dude on the street and he recommended we at at this place so we took him up visited. Lucky we did, as there was a massive rain storm that moved through while we was eating. I had a new dish once the menu (Caddo) and my lady had catfish (think of Dave Chappelle) and it was delicious. We also tried to crickets they had up front because why not...salt and vinegar and that's what the tasted like, not chicken. I told my lady that the shrimps in the Caddo tasted like shrimp from when I was a kid with a certain flavor to them that I had not tasted in a while. We finished our food, then had more drinks since it was raining. Food and drinks were great and service was great.

We eat here about every other month. Their fried catfish platter is VERY good 👍. Lots of fries and 2 hush puppies and I am stuffed. Usually can't finish the fries. Can be busy but the wait time on the food is quick, and it's too hot to eat to begin with. You can see them frying the fish. I love it ❤️

Stopped by to grab a quick bite to eat before a volleyball tournament. Buffalo shrimp mild were really good! We should have ordered 2! Fried perfectly. Blackened chicken Caesar salad had some great flavor. They didn’t skimp on that seasoning for the chicken! Blackened mahi sandwich (daily special) great flavor just needed some kind of spicy remoulade sauce to tie it all together. Bun was not able to hold up to the juicy piece of fish. Maybe french bread toasted would be better suited. Shrimp po boy disappeared before I could get a bite! So assuming it was good! Sweet tea was amazing! One of the best I have had.

Cute cafe about 3 miles from downtown Memphis, with indoor and outdoor seating. A lot of locals eat here. I ordered the catfish and shrimp platter, fried pickles, fried okra, blackened salmon, and coleslaw. Pros: Food was really good. Shrimp was very flavorful, nice coating. Okra good, blackened salmon, coleslaw and cornbread were my favorite. Cons: the dipping sauce didn’t quite measure up to some of the other restaurants in terms of flavor. They offer vegetable based sides but most were cooked in pork or turkey broth which isn’t accommodating if you are vegetarian. Other than that, this restaurant was a really good experience.

Went in on a Sunday night for dinner. Was able to be seated quickly at a table. They are a bit small on the table size so when the food arrives it’s a little crammed with 4 people at one table. We ordered hush puppies and fried pickle chips to start. Hush puppies were a bit dry and the fried pickles were a bit soggy and the batter was a bit too light on. The soup of the day was gumbo and it was good. We ordered catfish tacos and then a catfish and shrimp plate. All were really great, e tortillas for the tacos a freshly cooked and soft. The fried okra was the best thing in the menu! For 4 people with sodas for drinks it was $105. Was worth it, I enjoyed the food and the service was excellent.

First time eating here. Friendly service, fair prices, good portions, and great taste. Definitely will make another stop here in the future.

If you are in the area, YOU MUST VISIT! The blackened shrimp salad is to die for! It was so good that we went back the next day whilst staying in memphis for 2 nights. Also recommended is the blackened cat fish, the cat fish bites and the pickled green tomatoes. The service staff are very friendly and helpful and polite . Outdoor seating is available and the restrooms were clean. We initially went for lunch after visiting the Stax museum. We went back for dinner the following day from midtown Memphis. You must go here, as i said, you will not regret it at all. And free Parking on site

The restaurant is somewhat spacious and brightly lit with outdoor lighting. The staff is very attentive and the food is very good. I'm used to getting much larger portions but this is my first time at a restaurant in this area, so I don't know how much is given by others. The price is very reasonable. My only issue is portion size. The Fish and Shrimp order was two small pieces of fish and six shrimp. Amariah was an excellent server. Also, I assumed it was AA owned, but it is not. I enjoyed the food.

Food was good. I had the catfish plate (regular /3 piece) with Mac n cheese and green beans. The catfish was light and seasoned well,Mac n cheese reminded me of Cracker Barrel’s Mac n cheese and the green beans i liked as well. Service was fast and staff seems nice. Atmosphere was open concept and mixed crowd of people from young to old, diverse crowd. I was able to take the plastic cup as well .I would come back.

Amazing meal! The salmon was perfectly cooked.Juicy and flaky, but lacked seasoning but came with a pineapple salsa that was amazing. But the real star was the Brussels sprouts with that chili sauce — absolutely top tier. Crispy on outside and tender on the inside, and the sauce gave just the right kick without overpowering. I'm in love! Highly recommend!

The food was great! I highly recommend. This is a 4.7 rounded up to a 5 star rating because I ordered to dine-in but they served me in a to go plastic container, the fish didn’t have the topping I ordered and the sauce container was only a 1/4 full of sauce. But it was still delicious and I will be coming back again!

Sorry for the messy photos, but I forgot to take a picture originally. Y’all, I’m from the gulf coast and before moving to Memphis, I lived six years in Louisiana. I am not traditionally a huge seafood fan, and, if I do eat it, it’s almost certainly going to be from my hometown. However, I’m pregnant and baby gets what baby wants. I am SO GLAD he chose this! I got the fish & chips from the East Memphis location and I was pleasantly SHOCKED. The fish was perfectly crispy and a beautiful medley of flavor danced across my tongue with every bite! The fries are homemade, hand cut. I think this may have converted me to a seafood fan!!

Years ago I enjoyed Lunch at a place called Humdingers. Fresh & Delish, lunch was always a delight. One day they closed, and today I found out they just moved to a better Location! Sure, the menu has changed over the years, but what I ate today confirmed Humdingers still got it going with their Piri-Piri Fish & Chicken (and Veggies). Yes, East Memphis is blessed with a myriad of dining choices, just saying Humdingers hits the spot when good food is needed.

Always fresh and promptly prepared. Humdinger has a variety of healthy food items to choose from. My personal preference is the cajun pasta with grilled chicken and my second choice is blackened fish, rice, and sweet potatoe fries. With either meal, you'll receive generous portions.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I first ate here in April 2025, and got the blackened chicken Caesar salad it was perfect. The second time I came here was Tuesday, July 8, 2025, and got blackened chicken Caesar salad and it was perfect and consistent with my 1st visit in April. I decided to come on July 10, 2025, to get the blackened chicken Caesar salad and it was dusted with blackened and tasteless. I brought it to the attention of the manager and she gaslighted me saying they cleaned the grill the night before instead of taking ownership that it was not prepared properly. As a result, I got a refund and left. So on July 11, 2025, I decided to give them another chance. They messed it up again. The manager is going back and forth with me, instead of taking accountability and making it right. Instead of leaving with my blackened chicken Caesar salad to go, I left it there and walked out. I will NEVER GO AGAIN, inconsistent tasteless food and bad customer service, and bad management. I am attaching videos of both bad visits.

really fresh food, i splurged on the sea bass and it was worth it, crisped perfectly yet buttery soft underneath. it’s not exactly spicy asian food but more fine dining westernized with asian influence - so know that going in. either way if this type of cusine is your cup of tea you will love it. my wife had the tofu but the only thing she didn’t like was it came out as a big steak tofu rather than smaller pieces we were used to

Salmon and tuna special were fantastic, well balanced, flavorful, & inspired!! Love the classics as well calamari, ginger donuts & flourless chocolate cake. Service was exemptions as always!!

Tsunami is the most consistently excellent restaurant in Memphis and Shelby County IMO. The Sea Bass with Black Thai Rice is my favorite dish. I have never had Sea Bass as awesome or in the same league as Tsunami’s. Tsunami is my wife and I’s favorite restaurant. Tsunami is a great family owned restaurant with a great atmosphere, great service, and great food. I highly recommend Tsunami.

Very chic establishment in the heart of Cooper-Young. The server was attentive and the drinks were stiff. I thoroughly enjoyed the spicy potstickers and bacon wrapped dates. The meatballs were good as well.

We attended a dinner here for a group of 26. The food and drinks were exquisite and the service was exceptional. The staff was highly responsive to diners with special dietary needs. Highly recommended.

Exceptional, we loved it! We have the meatball appetizer (yum) and the potstickers - the dough was light and buttery and the potstickers were just the right amount of spicy. My son had the black bean soup, it was such a lovely creamy texture. I had the sea bass, it was cooked perfectly. My fam said the fish tacos were awesome, and I tasted the pasta myself, it was perfect! Desert was also amazing - we shared the creme brulee and the carrot cake was perfect. Our only critique was the flourless chocolate cake, it was a little too cocoa flavored, not rich, more bitter. I stand by "exceptional" because that one flub had no affect on our enjoyment of the meal, the atmosphere, and the wonderful service!

This place is AMAZING! The catfish platter was delicious and worth breaking my diet for. The fried okra was so darn good. The hush puppies were also delicious. I definitely recommend going there.

The BEST crawfish in town and all around! Ellis has an amazing garlic butter sauce for their seafood!! It’s currently peak crawfish season and our order was delicious. We usually like it extra spicy and they make it for us like that! The crawfish is super fresh and they’ll tell you if the crawfish they have for the week if they’re big or not. Great customer service!! We also like to get fried rice to eat with our crawfish. Everything here is very reasonably priced. My family and I love the food here.

I found a dead roach 🪳 in my cup. And the manager wanted to argue with me. I will be reporting this to the health department and Better Business Bureau tomorrow. I advised you not to go unless u want to eat critters.

Went here June 7th because I was craving and missing some good New Orleans crawfish! Though it's not New Orleans they were really good! They were definitely spicy but had a sweet taste to them as well! We also got gumbo and frog legs! Gumbo was good it would have been great if it just had a little bit more spice to it!

For $41 this is what we got. Although the food was flavorful, I expected much more. The crab legs were tiny and that little red thing in the center of the plate is the world's smallest lobster tail which were $8 each. (There's actually another one under the crab legs somewhere.) Definitely not worth a second visit.

The restaurant needs an interior update. There was a window at the entrance area that was boarded up. I almost decided to go somewhere else because of that, but I went inside anyway. I waited at least 5 mins after entering to be seated. Once seated my server appeared instantly. I ordered oyster Rockefeller with horseradish and lemons on the side, they were grilled perfectly. I had white wine to drink, only flaw is it wasn't chilled.

I always love to stop at half shell!! It’s a perfect place to go for lunch or dinner their atmosphere is wonderful it’s calm and peaceful with dark lighting and their service is usually always amazing and the food!!

We have been devoted Half Shell customers for decades, since its original location, now The Belmont. For years, the food and cleanliness were exemplary. Unfortunately, over the past six months, the restaurant has declined dramatically. The first thing that hits you upon entering is the smell, like dirty mops, an overpowering, musty odor that lingers throughout. The women’s restroom was filthy: unflushed toilets, paper debris on the floor, and trash cans overflowing. Service, while polite, is clearly understaffed. Our server was frazzled, forgot items, and was left juggling far too many tables to manage professionally. Most disappointing of all is the Half Shell’s once-famous steak sandwich. For many years, my husband and I have coveted the steak sandwich, and considered it a signature dish; what was once a thick, flavorful steak has been reduced to a thin, tasteless meat patty. And why was the beloved fried chicken salad removed from the menu? I’ve since learned there has been an ownership change—sadly, that explains everything. It’s heartbreaking to see a neighborhood institution we loved for so long become such a disappointment.

Black catfish is my favorite 😍 with the rice and onion ring. Fried mushroom is ok. Wasn't happy to know they charge 18% gratuity after 6pm.

I will never in my life come back to this restaurant or any of the others. The bartender was rude and had an attitude for no reason. I order 1/2 oysters-grilled. They came out small and overcooked. There was so much seasoning it took away from the actual taste of the oysters. Plus, pools of grease were left in the shell which means this isn't health. Oysters from Whole Foods are better than this. I will never come back here again.

The service was pretty fast, but it was hot in there and it smelled like a retirement home and fishy. Our food came out over cooked but not too bad.

Took my grandson to dinner. Just know I always tip at least 20 percent. When check came, I knew it was way more than it should have been. I did not want to embarrass him so waited until I got home to check it over Bottom line, I tipped 20 percent on top of an amount which server had already added an 18 percent to my check without letting me know. This is So wrong. Will never go there again or to the one in Germantown. If they automatically add an 18 percent tip, they should tell you before you add a 20 percent tip.

I’m really disappointed with my experience at Bayou Memphis. Someone in our party ordered the pasta and it was honestly inedible — the flavor and texture were terrible. When we politely brought it to the manager’s attention, we were told they have a “new policy” and they refused to replace or refund it. For a restaurant that prides itself on Southern hospitality, this was such a letdown. Poor customer service and even worse food — won’t be returning.

Visited this place for lunch during a trip to Memphis. The menu has a variety of Louisiana-inspired fare. I ordered the raw oysters as an appetizer and they tasted fresh and as good as any oysters I have had in the past. I ordered the catfish po boy as my entree. The piece of catfish was huge on the sandwich but unfortunately it had a muddy taste that's often associated with larger cuts of catfish. The other patrons were a little loose and swearing very loudly and I noticed the wait staff seemed frustrated, at least during my visit. Overall it was not horrible but I don't think it would be my first choice when selecting an eatery.

Nice place, yummy food. We ordered bacon wrapped shrimp, a burger, gumbo and beignets with dipping sauces. Aunt Patty was our waitress and she was excellent.

I really wanted to like this place, but our visit was disappointing. The pasta was awful — truly not edible — and when we tried to talk to the manager, we were told they don’t refund or remake orders anymore. That policy makes zero sense for a restaurant that wants repeat customers. Sadly, we won’t be back.

Everything tastes like SYSCO made it. Red beans watery and undercooked. The pic below is supposed to be mashed potatoes. Decent drinks though. I'll never return.

Was an amazing experience for my first time there. Went with a friend and both got the Porter House Rolls, Smoked Fish Dip, Oysters from WA, and each a Coulotte Steak, paired with a cocktail from happy hour. Our server was excellent, and so was the wine manager/district manager.

Wow. I don’t know who Michael and Andrew are other than the owners/chefs but man these two know what they are doing. Ate here and loved it so much that we are starting to eat at all their other restaurants (don’t miss Bishop in town). Some of the best food in the country. The combo of tastes and textures are next level. The Fluke Tartar was mind blowing. Here is a pro tip - Get the Parker Rolls AND the Pumpkin. Not only is the Pumpkin one of the best dishes in town but take the rolls and dip them into the extra sauce - amazing. The Brussels sprouts was the only dish that underwhelmed. Tried every dessert and they were all great. S’more, brûlée, chocolate cake and soft serve in that order if you are having a tough time deciding.

Firdt timer here! I miss Nashville dining experiences, so this place definitely satisfied my need for eclectic, upper echelon dining. The oysters were great, they were out of the desert wine that I requested, but the oysters were good. I dined alone in the lounge area, which I thought was pretty cool. I had a front seat view to watch couples gaze into one another's eyes at the bar. The lighting was dimmed as the evening approached. This place was nice...

This place was awesome. The atmosphere and food were top notch. But what really set it apart was the service. Dakota was so knowledgeable and helpful without being overbearing. We felt 100% taken care of from the moment we walked in until we left. We can't wait to go back.

I highly recommend this upscale restaurant in the downtown Memphis area. The atmosphere is great and the food is even better. We had the fried calamari, carrots with kimchi sorghum glaze, Harbison cheese with pear-ginger jam and squash donuts.

The Gray Canary has some of the best customer service I've ever experienced. The valet last night was extremely courteous, the hosts were gracious and helpful, and the bartender, waiters, and waitresses were all-stars. We really enjoyed dining at Gray, and will definitely return the next time we're in Memphis.

First time there, got the fried catfish with cole slaw and fries. The fish was good, not to salty and seasoned well. The cole slaw was good and they gave you a nice amount. The fries were nothing special, but they didn't affect the overall quality of the meal. I plan on returning and maybe try different sides. The lady at the counter was pleasant and efficiently took the orders and kept things moving. I think this is a well run restaurant with good food, good service, and fair prices, what more could you ask for.

Catfish is yummy and well seasoned. Fries are fried well but could use more seasoning. Not a bad spot though.

Fish tasted like it had been in the deep freezer. Cole slaw was just ok not but my fries were hot and they gave me wheat bread so naw I won’t be back but the place was clean.

Southwind catfish sell great tasting fish one of the best in town. They sell large portions for family events and even sandwiches for daily lunch. Great customer service I believe the owner use to attend my home church Olivet Baptist church. A+ restaurant

Believe this or not but this place has the best burger in memphis and served with steak fries. The buger is freshly patted for the order and man its huge. Expext to be sleep after this meal. The staff are all like family and really take pride in the meals that they make. This is a must stop trust me.

The catfish was good, the shrimp Po boy and the chicken tenders were enjoyed by my sons. The salmon was dry the okra was harder than I would like. Those steak cut fries were the business though.

My friends and I came in and we instantly felt like we were at moms or our aunts house. We received a warm welcome when we entered and the smell of good ole’ country frying/cooking consumed us. We all ordered different meals, and they were all delicious. The hospitality was truly southern and this is not a one time visit type of place. Let me preface this by saying that this is my fault because I should have gone to Red Hook Seafood like I normally do. This is my second time ordering from here and it is also my last. I ordered extra eggs and corn in my order because why not right? Unfortunately the corn and the eggs were extremely overcooked, to the point where I could not avoid calling the restaurant. The owner answered the phone and I explained the issue. Long story short, the owner was more upset than I was, explaining that "he has a high margin and that he has been in business for 5 years so the food must be good. And that he's not selling hamburgers here." He was loud, constantly spoke over me, and was unapologetic about the entire issue. And then he hung up the phone while I was speaking. Disgusting Behavior for anyone, especially an owner. No customer service experience whatsoever. He should never be allowed to answer a phone. Ever. Grossly unprofessional. Yuck. Mr. "owner", stay in the back, way in the back and count the money. Place your friendly and professional employees, such as Ariel, at the front where you can actually keep your customers. Because if it were up to you, you would lose every single one of them. I highly suggest that you run, don't walk, to an emotional intelligence and customer service course immediately. Or balance the books. But stay away from customers if you can't control your emotions when the food is not prepared as it should. This is a business. Act like it.

The food I purchased for a $150 tasted like a $10 meal. The potatoes was half done as well as the sausages and you barely get anything for the money you spend. I do not recommend them. Their service has changed since the time of their opening.

Not sure why the other reviews were so harsh . This place has great value, good customer service , and amazing flavors . They let you mix the different flavors , the owners are very accommodating , and the food is executed well . We’ve eaten at many different seafood spots and this place def has some good flavors going . I recommend the Cajun garlic mixed with spicy Asian , it’s a smacker for sure

Today, I drove 45 minutes out of my way to try the surf and turf fries. Let me let you all know that it is definitely worth it. These fries with shrimp, beef, cheese, and so many other ingredients are devine. The customer service from the wonderful girl up front is also a class act. She made sure I got exactly what I wanted and was so polite. Her attitude made the wait worth it because she is a very professional and customer service oriented individual.

Food looked good and fresh. Had a good flavor. I got the Cajun Butter seasoning. It's not spicy but has a good flavor. They do not accept call in orders and that's bad. Especially with there being limited seating inside the restaurant. Overall I had a good experience.

I normally try to make this my weekly seafood stop but it’s been so disappointing lately. I took a little break and attempted to switch up the days of the week thinking maybe certain days the food is prepared better. Well, no! Let’s some up my past few experiences, overcooked shrimp or soggy shrimp like it was cooked in the morning and sat in water for the dinner rush. Best part is the overcooked potatoes that are so hard the outside is like a potato chip or the potatoes are partially cooked. Oh and don’t worry about substitutes (like swapping out for turkey sausage) because they will charge you extra and serve it cold! BTW I ordered online and was informed it would take 45 to 55 mins for it be ready. After the long wait and my tastebuds ready to dive in, I picked up my food and the whole bowl was ice cold……damn!!! It took a whole hour to serve cold shrimp and hard potatoes ! I officially throw in the towel. Good luck to you all tho!

I am such a foodie and always loved this place. However, I have not had the opportunity to get my "seafood fix" in a while. I was out doing UberEATS deliveries and 1 of my customers ordered from here. Upon pickup, I instantly told the cashier I would be back before the night was over for myself. Later, it was storming out, but I made sure I got back there to grab this yummy feast🥰. I even joked with the cashier and told her I would do deliveries specifically for them in lieu of a meal. On the other hand, I was so serious because it is just that good!!! If you love seafood as I do, stop in and give them a try.

I went here on a Sunday thinking we were beating the lunch crowd but it turned out they were already opened because they serve brunch on Sundays. We were seated immediately and our waitress was very friendly! I got the fish tacos with fries, which were more like potato chips fries, but were still good! Tacos were great! My mom got the coconut shrimp as her meal and it was not so great, kinda chewy. Overall experience was good though!

I had my boss in town for a meeting and my wife suggested Half Shell for dinner. This was his first time and he was raving about how much enjoyed his experience! We had great service from Lisa, who said she is usually the bartender but was helping out that day with waiting tables. She was fun, energetic and knowledgeable about the menu! The food was delicious, I recommend the gumbo! Highly recommend for business dinners! Great vibe!

Joined coworkers from out of town for evening connect. Food was okay at best but service was sub par. Everything we ordered basically came out wrong. Salmon is noted as served over rice - there was no rice on the plate. Asked for soup to come out first - it didn’t come out at all. Someone had the voodoo topping it was cold and interesting at best. The plating of the food was interesting also. Very large plate with salmon and 4 skinny asparagus. Disappointing but more so because I talked it up to out- of - towners before trying it myself. Love the location but won’t be returning. PS. The chip style fries were ok/good. They were the only thing that was hot.

I had lunch at the new Half Shell location in Germantown, and it was a very good experience. The restaurant is casual but stylish, with a large open dining area. The menu has been consolidated from the traditional large format menu at the previous locations, but still has all the Half Shell staples like Po’ boys and catfish. I got a bowl of the seafood gumbo, and it was well-seasoned, smoky and delicious. The service was very friendly and professional. I’m looking forward to going back at dinner sometime soon.

The food was okay, but not great where we want to go back. The side portions that the tabled orderd were of generous size. The menu was hard to understand. Our table of 4 was trying to figure it out, because we had different interpretations. When we asked the server, they looked uncomfortable telling us. Made you afraid to order anything, because of not knowing prices before ordering. It would be great if they had the "catch of the day" and "mrk. price" selections and additional cost printed out, so the server could leave at each table and pick-up when order is taken. I ordered the Capreese Salad that had shrimp and crap on top for $16. It was 2 tomato slices, 2 mozzarella slices, with a small amount of cut up shrimp and crab leg. My guess would be one of each. It also had balsamic sauce drizzled on it. Presentation was nice. As soon as I got home, I had to eat, because it is not a meal. The decor is nice.

The noise level was so high we couldn’t carry on a conversation. We were there a couple days after they opened, the food was a huge disappointment. My friend’s salad didn’t have dressing, when she asked for dressing it came in a tiny peal-off-top container, about two tablespoons worth. Wonderful, sweet waitress. These are new owners, they also own the Forest Hill Grill. None of the original meals from the old HS. I was so hopeful since the original HS had delicious, fresh food.

Great fun experience and surprisingly affordable fine concept dining. The wine selection was a bit limited but there were some pleasant surprises on a couple of the flights (loved the tiny bubbles flight especially). All the meat we had was perfectly cooked. Some of the dishes were well crafted and balanced (duck with sweet potatoes and pecans, and the mashed potatoes with sour cream were elegantly flavored) and some less imaginative (albeit well made, I don't expect mac&cheese, steamed asparagus or plain veggies at this kind of establishment). Desserts were good. Portions - both main and dessert - were big. My husband barely managed to finish his main course (I did not stand a chance) and we sadly had to leave more than half of the dessert unfinished. There just was no more room. Service was efficient, atmosphere fun and elegant. Loved the white table cloths and silverware.

This very well may be one of the best meals I have ever enjoyed. The service was top notch. The ambiance was perfect. A little dark, cozy, and comfortable. The flight options were perfection. Every dish that came out was cooked to perfection. The desserts were absolutely perfect. The cost is high, but the value is tremendous.

We were seated immediately upon arrival at opening, 430. Nautica, our server, was absolutely brilliant in describing everything. This was a very special birthday treat! We tried the salad flights and I made my own entree flight with shrimp and grits, Seabass and lamb chop. We even tried the dessert flight! Next time I will get the Seabass on its own because that was my favorite! Highly recommend! Plus, it’s so cool to be in the Broadnax building with that beautiful chandelier!

This was an exciting experience with family. The staff was friendly and informative. The atmosphere was perfect. The food was so good you savored every bite. We did the flights for salad and entrée. And then there was dessert, yummy. This was an experience, on you took a moment and just enjoyed. If we are ever This way again, it will definitely be a must stop.

I had the pleasure to eat here with my coworkers and managers as a celebration from our hard work. We were greeted with a friendly host and staff and introduced to our server Alexis. The staff was patient with us being a big table with different personalities. We ordered several appetizers to start and the devil eggs with fried oysters and bacon jam was a favorite. The flight concept of small portion meals and beverages was great for mixing and matching several items on the menu. We got to taste a little of everything. The Louisiana red fish was my favorite dish along with the lobster ravioli. Everyone enjoyed their meal and had a great time! Thanks to the chef, managers and servers for taking care of us!

Fun and delicious restaurant! We'd never been before and really enjoyed trying the flights. We had the salad flight, the seafood flight, the a dessert flight and a wine flight. Everything was excellent including our servers. Would definitely go back if we are in Memphis again!

Top notch food and service. The lobster ravioli and BBQ shrimp were especially tasty. My surf and turf flight was cooked perfectly with the chimichurri sauce being a highlight.

We had reservations so we were seated immediately. We gave our drink order and later our food order at which time we were informed they were out of what my wife wanted. She ended up with a grilled cheese and she enjoyed it very much. I had the ribs and although they had excellent flavor, they were very dry. The ribs were on a pile of fries and they were great. My friend had Brussels sprouts that she said were mushy. Service while we were there wasn’t great, we went a while between being checked on. Atmosphere was pleasant.

Walked in, straight to table. Olde Renovated Cinema, very tastefully re-developed. Server took order, lovely starter, Main course served before we finished starter! Accompanying course forgotten! Dessert excellent! Need to organise their service in line with the customer, NOT the Staff.

My husband and I went for date night and had the best time. Hector was absolutely amazing especially when he made me blue cheese stuffed olives for my extra dirty martini! The food was delicious and the vibes were right for a random date night!

Beautiful and spacious place to dine. My favorite dish was the garlic mashed potatoes. Each of us ordered different dishes. I really did not like the coleslaw because it wasn’t creamy, and the flatbread chicken pizza was bland. The photos look great though.

I had such a wonderful experience at The Majestic Grille! I ordered the steak with garlic mashed potatoes—both were cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. I also enjoyed two lemon drops, which were amazing. The atmosphere is stunning and unique, with the feel of an old theatre that makes the whole dining experience even more special. Definitely a place I’d recommend for a memorable night out!

I can't tell you how many times I've walked past from this place and never knew of the hidden gems inside. First off, the interior looks incredible, almost out of a black and white movie. The giant movie screen playing old hits may also add to my comparison 😅. We ordered flatbreads and may I say they tasted delicious with the perfect amount of sauce. I would reccomend her for a date spot easily.

Food started strong with delicious appetizers (crayfish dip and fried crayfish tails), but then declined with the 'so so' oyster sampler (1/3 were amazing, 1/3 ok and the other 1/3 were drowned in chili sauce, where any semblence/taste of oyster was totally lost). Main courses (surf n turf, and grouper platter) had so much seasoning it was barely edible. Why mask the flavor of good quality fish, lobster tails or steak???? This is definitely a case of "less is more", where spices should complement (not overpower) the natural flavors. Sides were disaapointing...grits (oddly) had no flavor or seasoning while coleslaw was already spoiled. Staff service was not terrible but far from good. Had to repeatedly ask for refills, seating 2 people at booths, and asking those 2 to move when 5 people arrived, and adding meals to bill (seemed to know already, you just had to call them out on it). Overall, if wanting seafood, there are better options

Visited on New Years Eve. Did not have to wait for seating. The rice was a little salty or maybe that was the flavor but other than that everything was good. The tip was already included even if you have a party of 2 (so be aware). The Margarita I had was good. I'm such a cheap person so that $91 bill had my eyes buck. I would go back just not every week. Lol This would be a once every two month type of thing for my budgetistas.

Awesome experience. Tonya the bartender was awesome. Gave great advice on food. Oyster shooters are not on the menu but when we asked she got excited and they were the best shooters ever. Had 4 different oyster options all good, and the gator bites with fried jalapeno and red onions were a great starter.

A real Hum-Dingger! 😉 Great food, and service. I went on a Thursday evening about 5:00 PM, 😉 light crowd. I was the only to go order. The place was easy to find parking lot and out door covered patio in the rear. Tried 2 Fried Fish platters mine was with a ample order of some tasty seasoned French fries sprinkled with some fresh leafy sage, scalps, shrimp, hush-puppies and a fried catfish fillet, and a spoonful of slaw with what taste to me like fresh sour-cream. 1 Shrimp and Grits plate that looked so tasty with smothered onions etc... all was to go dinners about $70.00 and a tip. Very pleasant atmosphere classic soul songs playing overhead speakers, and ceiling fans all over kept the place just mild and cool. This is such a nice place to wind down and chill wit a meal. Just a skipping stone throw, from a the other Southern Comforts of Downtown Memphis, Beal Street, and the Wolf and Mississippi split off etc... 🌹😎

Went there today for the first time, and it was a real treat. We had the Oyster Sampler as a starter and it was great. Oysters perfectly seasoned and gratinated and Not overcooked. I then had the Shrimp Boil and my Mom the blackened Catfish. Both was perfect. When you think it can't ger better: enter the Creme Brulee! The best I Had in Long Time! Keep it Up Folks!

Unreal. Favorite place to eat hands down. The oysters we're on point and our entrees were perfect. We got the jambalaya and shrimp and grits - both fantastic. Friendly staff and great atmosphere.

My wife on our last night in Memphis decided to go out for a meal as a date. She knows I love Oysters & this place is highly talked about. We arrived and waited quite some time to be seated. The waitress who helped us was great! Very helpful, friendly & outgoing which made up for the wait. Things were going fine until the family of mice started running around by out table. I don't mean a mouse, 5 mice! Lots of apologizes but after that our appetite was lost but they never once offered a discount or to comp the meal. Very bad impression of the way things are in Memphis.

Haven’t been here in years. Service was okay. It wasn’t crowded when I went but it was kinda slow. The food was okay. Did it to not be busy my calamari came out luke warm. Wasn’t a fan. The steak was good I order medium well but it came out well. I already waited a minute for the food to come out so I didn’t say anything but the food was still good. I want to give their brunch a try. I might come back I might not.

Our first visit was impressive & a great experience. Beautiful restaurant, decor, light fixtures are amazing, staff is great. Ron was our server & he was impeccable. Friendly, professional & we appreciated his recommendations. Our drinks were amazing - Old Fashion & Strawberry Pineapple & Coconut Cream mocktail- soooo good!!! We had the fried calamari to start. Lightly battered, crispy & well seasoned. I had the Cajun fish & chips/I opted for hand cut kettle chips, light batter & moist fish & crispy chips. My bf had the classic crawfish etouffee with rice / it wad unbelievable. So much flavour. And the soup of the day: roasted red pepper. Really tasty. To end our experience...we had The beignets and they were warm & yummy.

I love love love Owen Brennan. I didn't get any pictures of the food but I have to give props when they're due. For it to be Sunday, breakfast on Mother's Day, I can't believe how perfect it went. My mother stated the night before that she didn't want to deal with the Mother's Day crowd, and she would rather be home. But I told her Owen Brennan is different. We won't have those problems. We had a few hiccups in the beginning that weren't an issue at all because both managers got to work and made sure we got to our table quickly. We were okay with the wait anyway because the bar didn't open until 10 am 🥴. Patience is a vurue. The fact that it's a buffet style breakfast and there was no, I mean no problem at all to get our food and enjoy everything. This place is a 10 out of 10. The saxophone musician was a special touch as well. It was truly a beautiful Mother's Day. Thank you.❤️

Greeted warmly when we came in. Asked if we had a reservation, which I did because I was told that they do get busy for brunch, but it wasn't busy at all. Service was great. Everyone was happy and smiling. The food was the issue. Everything was room temperature which means it was not freshly made. The brisket was not good at all. Tasted like boiled meat without any seasoning. The steak had bell peppers and onions in it but still lacked any seasoning. The pork loin was decent but again, room temperature. The deviled eggs were not good. All the chicken was room temperature. The cinnamon rolls were hard like they were old. The sausage looked old. The bacon was ok but also seemed old. All the cookies looked like they were purchased from Sam's. The macaroni was room temperature. The red beans and rice were good and warmer than everything else. This place is extremely overrated. $107 for two people and we didn't even eat/enjoy $10 worth of food. I considered coming back and trying lunch but it's just not worth it. If they don't care enough to serve hot food for brunch, they can't care too much about any of their food. I'm not happy about this and wouldn't come back.

Mother’s Day so it was busy. And we didn’t have a reservation. And we got lost on the shuffle … so long wait. Normally a bad thing - but the bar staff was friendly. Patrons were friendly. Finally got set down and THE FOOD WAS EXCELLENT. Well worth the wait. All the staff were super great. Great experience! Definitely will return.

Love this place & the ambience. Lunch cost is about average in the Memphis location for lunch. The food & presentation is always great. Recently informed there will be live music on Wednesday nights - looking forward to the experience. I’ve also had their Sunday brunch buffet & omg! It was worth $50 bc there were so many options from standard breakfast, to shrimp / grits/ seafood such as shrimp/ raw oysters & they even have dessert like crème brûlée, cookies etc. Yummmmm. They also had live jazz music during Sunday brunch & I fell in love w/ this place. Definitely worth dining.

The hostess and overall hospitality were wonderful, and service was punctual. Unfortunately, the dinner entrees did not meet expectations. We weren’t able to try the shellfish options, but our order consisted of the Voodoo Chicken Pasta, Parmesan Encrusted Grouper, and the Alligator Gouda Mac as an appetizer. The Gouda Mac was the highlight savory, rich, and perfectly balanced. However, the alligator itself had more of a smoked chicken pork sausage taste than anything. As for the entrees both dishes were rather bland and lacked the savory flavors typically associated with New Orleans inspired creole dishes. The Hurricane cocktail, while refreshing and enjoyable, leaned more toward a fruity pineapple alcohol taste than the authentic depth of a true New Orleans classic. Overall, we appreciated the warm environment and hospitality, but the food didn’t live up to the same standard. We’ll return to give the brunch or lunch menu a try in hopes of a better experience.

Wow! I feel so lucky to have gone here tonight. We were invited by some friends and it was a magical treat. First off, we sat outside and the view is incredible of the lake at sunset. The weather was perfect; not too humid. Second, the food was absolutely delicious. We started with raw Oysters that were so fresh and delicious. 3 of us had the Japanese scallops and they were the best I've ever had. So flavorful and cooked to perfection. One of us had the Chilean seabass and said it was excellent. The portions are generous and the price is on the upscale side, but not outrageous. The service was great. Our server did an excellent job of making sure were taken care of, but not intrusive. Overall, this was a great restaurant and I hope to definitely be back. It is a very large establishment and the place was packed. I would highly recommend coming here.

We hosted a team dinner there with a guest from Boston. Our team was from the biggest hospital in south. We were made to sit on the patio. The temperature was 98 and the heat factor was 103. There was air conditioning space available and our requests to sit inside were denied. The manager carefully avoided eye contact. Two of my team members had bugs in their water glasses. I guess free protein. The food looked great, but has no flavor. We left most of the food untouched. All food had a generous amount of grease and we could use some of that for our lawn equipment. We were a 6 party team and were given a small table. After we ordered appetizers, we had no space in table: so we had to keep the heavy wooden menu cards on our laps. Some questions.. why were we not advised that there is excessive heat and indoor option would be best. I guess your decisions were made on profit margins rather than customer comfort. If the menu cards are so damn heavy, why don't you make them lighter or give more space on table to keep them. If a midsouth patio is a charm for 98 degree weather. Why don't you have air coolers. Which noble prize physicist advised you that circulating fans will make the place cooler. The entire patio was one big airfryer. For a pricey restaurant, this was hmm...certainly a shame Thanks for an awesome experience. May be it was Shakespeare's midsummer evening dream. The food was a dream and hospitality far from reality.

I went on my birthday (8/26) and my first time doing. The service was amazing (Nathan did a fantastic job, loved him). I recommend 10/10. From the appetizers down to the drinks were top tier phenomenal. My steak melted in my mouth. We had the west indie egg rolls, crab cakes, and oysters for appetizers. Also had the pork ribeye. Chef’s kiss 😘 on EVERYTHING.

Upon entering the restaurant, we were greeted by the three hostesses.The ambiance was great!! We were seated and our amazing experience began. We could see the lake from where we were seated. Our waitress Sydney was AHHHHMAZING and very knowledgeable about what to recommend. We ordered the NOLA oysters and the egg rolls as appetizers. I ordered the crab cakes, with greenbeans, and creamed corn. My man ordered the steak, asparagus, and potatoes. Everything was exceptional.

It was my first time eating there. Very pleasant with beautiful scenery and the backdrop of the lake. Sat on the porch. Even though it was almost 90 degrees, it wasn't too hot on the porch with the help of fans and plenty of airflow. The meal was very delicious! Very professional and courteous staff as well.

This place can be hit or miss but you have to experience it for yourself! I’ve been a few times! The last time we went was on my wedding anniversary & the food was good for the most part. Minimal issues. Our oysters were not cooked the way they have been cooked in the past but they were ok. The steaks however were really good but lobster tail was a bit mushy. Also they have really good Chilean Sea Bass which is a must try! All night we were getting happy anniversary from the staff which speaks to the service! They also took care of the lobster tail issue & gave us complimentary glasses of champagne for our anniversary! Again though it’s hit or miss it’s definitely worth experiencing at least once or twice!

Took my wife here for her birthday. The staff were all extremely pleasant and courteous. Our server LANDEN was an absolute treasure, he really made our night special and was the best server we have had the pleasure of dining with. The food was all great, the cocktails were on point, and the scenery/atmosphere was breathtaking. Would highly recommend.

Found this gem in downtown Memphis! Home from home, Irish quality Guinness, great staff and terrific recommendations for things to do and restaurants in mid town. We are rugby fans and they subscribed to a US sports channel so we could watch Leinster play Northampton. Full Irish breakfast was fab and and also the Bloody Mary, great way to jump start the day!!! A surprise find for me. I was looking for something other than BBQ, and I came across The Brass Door. The staff were great. If you are looking for traditional Irish food, I highly recommend this place.

We've been to The Brass door 3 times now, and it has yet to disappoint. The food is delicious, the atmosphere makes it feel like you've left Memphis, and the service is always delightful. The fish and chips is always delicious, and the tartar sauce they serve with it is something that even those who dislike tartar sauce normally, would enjoy. The beer cheese dip and pretzel rolls were surprisingly delicious, and if you get the shepards pie, i would recommend putting the remaining cheese dip on top of the pie.

We went to The Brass Door for St. Patrick’s Day and we were not disappointed! We even brought my 4 year old and it was early enough in the day that it was appropriate and she loved it! The service was quick and the food was fresh and yummy.

The Brass Door was truly the highlight of our trip to Memphis. It captures everything you’d hope for in a great Irish pub—warm atmosphere, excellent food, and perfectly crafted drinks. What really set it apart, though, was the service. Seamus, the owner, greeted us right away and his passion for the place shined through. Adam, the bartender, was equally wonderful—an absolute gem. Sharing the match with you all will always be one of our favorite memories from this trip. If you’re in the area, this spot is an absolute must!

We had a great experience. We were greeted as soon as we walked in the restaurant. We were seated and our waitress came promptly after. She was really sweet and introduced herself. I wish I would remember her name (she deserves a shout out) I ordered the clam chowder and calamari. My husband ordered the coconut shrimp. My calamari was really good, they were crazy big too. The shim was nicely cooked and tasted really fresh. Their pineapple sauce was awesome. Everything came just in time. The waitress would check up on us often and asked if we needed anything. We went in for lunch so the restaurant was mostly empty. The parking lot and the restaurant seem very clean. We didn’t have our kids with us but we were surprised to see that they have a playground for kids. They also have a very nice outside sitting area. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

They serve us with late and super burn calamari, we order some plates and the shrimp came burn and the rice raw this is the worst place we have been ever !! so disrespectful and terrible service also they charge me more than they supposed I have to call my bank tomorrow, this is garbage completely you should just close this place a this point. Food was great, well cooked only thing was the fried I felt was a bit greasy but everything else was great, waitress very nice and kept up when they were busy. Manager was nice to open the door for costumers and thank them for dining in and to have a good night. Would recommend this restaurant.

Love this place . Didn't mean to spend so much their but it was our 1st time going so we got a t shirt. The food was awesome except for the baked fish it was cooked alittle to long but ate it anyway. I loved the waitress. She did an awesome job. We had to wait about an hour and a half to get a table but it was well worth the wait.

Service was great ... Good food was hot and fresh came out really fast. It was not really busy, so I'm not sure if that's standard on busy days. Never noticed restaurant was there not noticeable from road only if your in shopping mall will you see it.

We haven't been to Joe's Crab shack in years. Service was good food was excellent we had crab legs coconut shrimp and fries. Very nice sized portions. Definitely will be back!

Well the old lady wanted crab.lol so we went to crab shack 102 bones first time last time. The first waitress put her foot up on the chair as she took our order and the other Waitress that brought our food carried the steak sauce in her arm pit.yea I said the same thing.so the wife's dish was more a gumbo.the lobster claws were fishy couldn't eat em.after she cracked the crab it was two spoons.so here we sit in the burger king drive thru.the steak was broiled done on the out .moo moo on the in.beer was cold And the 6 shrimp I got well you have to look at the pics.way to go Memphis we hit another.oh almost forgot the spinach dip fantastic

Fabulous! Best greens in the South! A step back in time, without a DeLorean. Small and unassuming, but a hidden gem for lunch in downtown.

Been living in Georgia for 20 years, and I thought I knew what good southern was. I stand corrected. These folks have done of the best southern fried chicken and black eyes peas I've ever had. Make sure to ask for Bibi to serve your table. She's great. The owner was the most awesome part. She's the cashier, and she knew every one of her customers, and clearly loved by all. If you're passing through Memphis this is a can't miss place.

We were directed to this historic resteraunt by the great folks at the peanut shoppe (which is also wonderful and friendly). Take it from someone who has spent their life eating southern food, this is some of the best I have ever had in my life. Not only was the food delicious but the staff was delightful. I highly recommend you check it out. Don't expect fancy, this is a down home family cooking at it's best!

Friendliest service! Limited menu, but every option sounds delicious. It's all southern choices that I saw, I had the Lucy Special and it was just like grandma made it. The chicken, mashed potatoes, and gravy combo scored highly with me. Oh, and the flavorful cornbread is definitely something to look forward to!

This is about as perfect as you can get. The food is exceptional. Classic southern home cooking. Do yourself a favor and eat here. You will not be disappointed. Do yourself another favor and sit in Omar's section..best service in Memphis. We can't say enough about the food and the service.

I have eaten here many times over the years and have to say that the service is always great and the food is also consistently good. You can count on getting your food very quickly normally. Now it's interior is very unique in terms of it's design / style. So do not expect an upscale dining experience if you plan to eat here.

I went to Young Avenue Deli last night for a little solo date night, and it did not disappoint! I had the Italian sub with their homemade fries—both were absolutely delicious. For dessert, I treated myself to the brownie with ice cream, which was the perfect ending to the meal. I also tried a lemon drop along with some water, and everything was spot on. The environment was fun and welcoming, making it a great place to relax and enjoy good food. I’ll definitely be back!

My boyfriend and I went out to Young Avenue Deli with a few of our friends while we visited Memphis. We tried to come to the Deli before a few months back, but the place was so packed that there wasn't anywhere to sit. We were lucky this time though, and this experience enlightened us on why the Deli was so busy in the first place. First of all, the vibe of the Deli was great. There was a stage for live music, pool tables and foosball. The vintage signs and bar really gave it the deli vibe. Our waitress was incredibly laid back, which I appreciated about the bar/deli atmosphere. The food is what really made this trip worth it. The pimento cheese fries were honestly life changing. The thick cheese stayed gooey as we devoured the fries, unlike other cheese fries where the cheese slides off the fries or it's too little of an amount, there was also a perfect balance of cheese and fry in every bite. The sandwiches were also mind blowing. This was probably the best Chicken Philly I have ever had in my life. The chicken was cooked not in thin shavings which makes it easy for it to come out dry, but instead it was cooked in medium bites, which kept the chicken moist. This paired with the melted mozzarella, onions, mushrooms and bell peppers all on toasted bread made it. My boyfriend enjoyed the muffuletta, and so did I, granted it was a close second to my Chicken Philly. The olive spread on the muffuletta was the best thing about the sandwich, in my opinion. It brought a sense of sweetness to the sandwich which I enjoyed. Overall, I can't wait to go to the Deli again!

We went here a few separate times because it was right down the street from where we were staying. Waitstaff and Bartenders are amazing - food was pretty dang good (get the Mozz sticks) and the drinks were top notch! We definitely made a stop back buy not entirely sober... and they were STILL awesome. PLENTY of room for everything. Plenty. Pool in the back, booths, big bar, high tops and low top tables... like, yeah just go here.

Went on a busy Saturday with perfect patio weather. Food came out relatively quick given how busy it was. I got the Italian sub which looked and tasted more like a pizza flat bread with lettuce, cheese fries on the side with ranch. Star of the lunch was the...... ranch. Super cute and fun bar. Plenty of space inside and out. Really enjoyed my banana moon pie ice cream dessert. It took a while for a waitress to come, and it took a long time to pay. I ended up leaving the table to meet the waitress at the register. Would have been 5 stars if the waitress was more attentive. I’d come back for beers.

Quirky spot decor the food was delicious! The fries were some of the best I ever tasted! My friend had the Ruben ( Chicago style) she said it tasted wonderful. I had the muffuletta probably the best one. Since 🍗 Kwik Chek in the 1990’s!

This place was slamming so service was delayed at times, plus the bartender had a sprained arm. All good, though. Delicious $5 Bloody Mary's. We shares a dozen Blue Point raw oysters that were plump and mouthwatering. Served with mignonette which is hard to find in the South. Husband had a Creole Carbonara with gulf shrimp, blackened chicken, bacon, peas, tomato, creole cream with cavatapi. He devoured it. I had the short rib sandwich, which was okay. However, the sea salt and pepper fries rocked my world. Casual place. The hostess was the sweetest person and pitched in on the service wherever she could. They need to give her a raise. She makes you feel welcome. Service was good. Be prepared to circle for parking.

This was a really nice joint on the famous block. Has a good rustic look with nice decor and bar located in the middle. Had variety of options and everyone absolutely enjoyed the food. Very fresh tasting and satisfying everyone’s craving. Would definetly recommend their cheese curds and pesto pasta with sun dried tomatoes, fish tacos and house burger.

The Food: While it was pretty heavy in oils and such, it was delicious. We had three people get three different dishes and we all shared an appetizer. I was genuinely impressed with how delicious the food was! The Service: Service was lacking. We were out of drinks for about 10 minutes before we finally waved down another server. Our server had just disappeared... Luckily the delicious food helped the rating. The Ambiance: The building interior is dark and a little bit gloomy. It could stand to be lightened up a little bit I think.

Food was great, service was not. upon entering the hostess said there was no open seating aside from the bar area. When we asked how long approximately the weight was because we did not want to sit in the bar, she went upstairs in conveniently found a table. It was curious that we were the only people that look like us upstairs and I wondered why I hostess would not have an updated seating chart to show patrons their options. The food and drinks were truly great and the server we ended up getting was very attentive. The initial interaction with the host is completely threw me off and I am debating on whether I'd go back or not

Small group of us tried the Local for brunch, and the food was phenomenal. Friend had the chicken parm and the rest of us had duck confit hash. They were super generous with the amount of duck, and the cheese curds were perfect. The service was very poor. We’ve all worked in food service and are understanding. However, our waitress seemed to be avoiding us, and when we asked the hostess for more water she said it wasn’t her job

Now, hear me out. When I went for brunch and ordered the chicken and waffle and this was the dish brought to me, I quickly felt my brow raise. Then I tried it. The chicken is well seasoned, and the glaze is so good( I got mine on the side just in case it was not ). The waffle, while tasty, has a gritty consistency. It almost puts you in the mind of sugar granules. After a bite or two, I didn't mind it so much. All in all, I would order it again with eggs. No brunch is complete without a mimosa, mmmmm, so I got the large one. The French toast was not my favorite. The combination of everything was interesting, to say the less. Would I order it again? idk would I order the eggs again? Yes, yes, I would.

Service was prompt and friendly - no complaints there! The view from the second floor is great too. The menu looked promising, and we greatly enjoyed the Brussels sprouts. But the prices are a bit too high for what you get. For example, the brisket Benedict had zero sides or even leafy green as a decoration. I feel like it was just missing something to brighten the plate and make it look a bit fuller. Also, the food taste and quality didn’t live up to what the menu promised. Overall, it was just okay.

Drinks took longer then the food to arrive to the table, lobster and shrimp both very over cooked like to the point of rubber! The steak was cooked to fast and was tough to chew, the pasta was so over cooked it was like mashed potatoes. Everything was Completely over cooked. Presentation looked better then the actual food tasted. Super disappointed. I expected better. DO BETTER RED LOBSTER!! 🤢

Brian was a fantastic host and , server, all in one! His professionalism and top-tier service truly stood out, making my experience memorable from start to finish. Came in support of the new CEO. Sucks they took the maple glazed shrimp and chicken off though. That was my fav entrée. Place looked dated and could better upkeep. Emily L. seemed to lack customer engagement skills or very quiet. Cups/glasses had a funny smell. Food was decent. When they clean the tables, this should include items that were present during previous guest i.e. salt and pepper shakers. It was disgusting to utilize them and feel grease from prior usage.

Our server Charles was very friendly and very attentive! The food was wonderful and when he overheard that it was my birthday, he made it very special for me. The staff all signed a card for me and brought me a sundae to finish off my meal. Thank you Charles for making my birthday meal this year very memorable for me!

Dalitha was an amazing server and was extremely pleasant. My food was good although I felt cheated with my Bairdi crab legs as they came already broken apart with no cluster. If that's the way they will be served it from now on, I may pass but other than that, food was good. Presentation was good and overall a good experience.

During our recent date night, we made reservations in advance and were warmly welcomed by a friendly hostess who clearly enjoyed her role. After being seated, we were informed that our server would be with us shortly. However, “shortly” turned into a lengthy 15 minutes before my date finally had to catch the attention of a nearby employee. While we waited, we took in the ambiance of the restaurant, which was quite pleasant. However, we couldn't help but notice that we were the only African Americans in the establishment. We tried not to let this cloud our experience, but after another 5-7 minutes without any acknowledgment (for a total of over 20 minutes), our waiter finally arrived and apologized for the delay. We decided to order a few items from the menu, including Crab Claws and Roasted Brussels Sprouts. Unfortunately, the Crab Claws were somewhat disappointing—overcooked and chewy at times. The Brussels Sprouts, on the other hand, were perfectly cooked but lacked any real flavor. We continued to order more food, but the overall experience fell flat with everything tasting just average. The highlight of the meal ended up being the house-made cheesecake with an Oreo crust, which was genuinely enjoyable. In total, we spent over $230, and while the cheesecake was a treat, the likelihood of us returning is slim unless it’s just to grab a slice to go!

Exceptional experience at Ecco on Overton Park. We had a party of 5 and every person loved their dish. Great service from our knowledgeable server Kevin. Fairly large restaurant with an upscale flair but had a cozy relaxed atmosphere. Had the Fritto Misto, Crab Claws (these are a must!), Lobster Ravioli, Halibut, Beef Stroganoff, Sausage Orecchiette, and an amazing dessert. Make the trip to visit this restaurant!

Celebrated my birthday with my daughter and her beau. I had the lamb and it was amazing , the presentation was beautiful and the flavors popped. The cocktail was also quite delightful ! The tequila Tavi ? They came for me with a nice strawberry - blueberry cobbler that was light and tasty ! Nice touch with the ice cream and long burn sparkling candle 😋☺️😂

I've been here many times before, but this time the food was a miss. The food menu was updated and needs fine tuning. I didn't like any of the entres. Bishop restaurant closed and was always amazing! I won't be back to this place. It's also So noisy, it needs noise panels , and the restaurant was empty..

We visited this hidden restaurant one evening with our family, and I want you to know it’s a fantastic Italian restaurant in Memphis near the Zoo. We enjoyed the atmosphere, service and food so much that we have ask the owners to cater our son’s rehearsal dinner later this year. We can’t wait to go back!!!!

I ordered their food from Door Dash many times but yesterday was first time I dined in. Service was okay, very transactional, not very friendly. The fish was good quality. Portion size was as expected. In general, I’ve always had good rolls from them. I like their Yum Yum salad which is sashimi, avocado and cucumbers.

Excited to see crab rangoons were added to the menu! Some of the best we have had. The food is always fresh here and the service is quick. Great spot for sushi that also includes many other non-sushi options.

We stopped in for dinner last night. The food was really good and we loved the atmosphere. The service, at times, left a little bit to be desired. I ordered filet mignon and shrimp hibachi and a sunshine roll. My husband ordered steak hibachi and 2 sushi rolls, and both of our boys ordered the chicken yakisoba. We all thoroughly enjoyed our food and definitely plan to visit again.

The breakfast was amazing! The pancakes and French toast were perfectly fluffy and buttery, and the bacon was crispy and full of flavor. The cheesy grits with a pat of butter melted just right, and the eggs were cooked exactly as I ordered. The service from Ms Erika Doss was fast and friendly, and the overall atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Definitely one of the best breakfast experiences I’ve had in a while – I’ll be coming back!

My wife has her seafood spot.Very friendly atmosphere. The food was deliciously seasoned, just right. She had a crab bag (added an egg and a broccoli). She couldn't walk away until she tried the made from scratch banana pudding. This had her smacking from ear to ear. As you can tell, she enjoyed every bite of her food.

The food is always great here. I really like the specials. The green jug drink really tastes like a watermelon airhead. The Memphis mix is delicious. The rice is always amazing. It can be pricey, but you have to pay for quality.

The food was so good , and tasted clean ! I went back two days in a row ! I was scarred from Red Hook years ago giving me terrible food poisoning that had me sick for over 2 weeks. So of course I was Leary trying another seafood place. But I remember picking up Uber eats orders from here over 2 years ago and said I wanted to try it and it did not disappoint! Again the food tasted CLEAN, the building was CLEAN and the service was professional and prompt. Def my go too from here on out! 100/100!

Buff City Crab is going to do it for me every single time. The quality of the food is great, prepared fresh and an equally great taste. The crab clusters are typically large and full of meat. The lobster tail is good quality and cooked perfectly. The Andouille sausage is some of the best sausage! Corn is sweet and tender. The shrimp are large and cooked perfectly. My favorite sauce is Memphis Mix! One day I’m going to try other things on the menu. Highly recommend giving them a try.

They have THE BEST red velvet cake!! Super moist, yummy icing that is light, fluffy, and melts in your mouth. I ordered the flat bread pizza that was the yummiest. The service was quick, professional and the staff are sweet. I'll be back again and again.

Definitely worth a visit if you are traveling through Memphis! We bought the fried tilapia, fried okra, and green fried tomatoes. They give you lots of food for your money and it is really good. I will be adding this restaurant to my favorites.

I ordered the four piece whole wings honey gold sauce with fries it was delicious. The wings were perfectly cooked, tender on the inside and crispy on the outside. The fries seasoned with lemon pepper delightful.

The young ladies at the counter did not greet customers , they were on their phones every moment they got and the cashier acted annoyed that I had questions about menu items. If there was a manager on duty I couldn’t tell. But the atmosphere was not welcoming AT ALL. I am a first time customer and the customer service was terrible . Fish was good and seasoned well The party rings were not cooked well and were not very good . Had they been cooked longer they most likely would have been better.

It smelled awful straight sewage. I know we're dealing with seafood that is going to have a smell. But it smells like a sewer lines was backed up for something was going bad. One waitress was really nice but the other two were rude

I started with the Corn and Crab chowder; the potatoes could have been cooked more. I had the Wood fired Sea-bass with garlic mashed potatoes and string beans. My wife had the Wood fired salmon, Jasmine rice and string beans. Both meals were good. Our waitress refilled our drinks. We should have asked to be seated in the main dining hall versus near the bar.

I have attended just about all of the Martini Events. This was one of the best by far. It wasn’t jammed packed. You had elbow room to eat and enjoy your dinner. When they are trying to make all the money by cramming us all on top of each other its not a enjoyable event. They have learned to allow the customer to make their tip of choice. And management walked around to converse with guests . They have also stopped forcing guests to sit side by side . I like for my guest to sit across from me. The only downside is when booking online your name doesn’t get on the list. It creates confusion at the hostess stand. Also the benches outside needs to be cleaned off outside since seating doesn’t start until 6:15pm The drinks and the food service was so much better. The tables are to close for the servers to serve with ease.

My husband and I got to the restaurant before our party. We wanted a table but noticed that they were in need of help on that side. The wait was much longer than expected, unfortunately. Once our party did arrive and after a couple of drinks, we decided the bar was where we needed to stay. Zuri made our night. She's a great bartender and server she knew exactly what we wanted and made great conversation. Our food looked amazing and tasted great. Everything was a hit. If you're looking for a good time, skip the tables. Show the bartenders some love greatly appreciate our night with Zuri. The kitchen did their thing as well. We will be returning.

Me and my husband went here to eat for our anniversary and were very disappointed. We waited about 10 minutes before a hostess even spoke to us at the front door. The customer who was there before us left out of frustration. When someone finally came, even though we had reservations we were told there would be a 10 minute “or so” wait. There were ALOT of empty tables but she said it was because there were only two servers. Fine, but there were maybe 3 tables and some people at the bar. I felt like two servers could handle that. After standing at the entrance for some time the hostess comes back to seat us and I kid you not, our feet were almost stuck to the ground the floor was so sticky. The decor by our table was caked in dust, the seats still had food on them and had to be cleaned when we sat down. And yes we made a few calls to see if anyone else could get us in but no, and we were hungry so we stayed. If i could rate the bar i would give it 5 stars because the drinks were delicious. However, the food was on the bland side but not terrible. Crab cakes mushy on the inside. Bang bang shrimp was good. Bread and dipping oil was pretty tasty. I was schocked to see my husbands $40 plate of fish had toddler sized potions. I asked if that’s the correct size and the server said yes. My pasta was $20 and he had less food then me. And I also didn’t expect seasonal vegetables to be just broccoli. Table was never cleaned. By the time we packed up the food we didn’t eat (minus the garlic and herb sponges or potatoes) the server only took one plate. No water refills. The server was nice but not very helpful. Besides bringing the food she was gone. The table behind us had the nicest conversation with their server who was helpful and friendly. Made sure they had everything they needed and checked in on them. Talked about his cats, it was lovely to hear, I just wished we had the same attention. That was our first time and will not be returning or referring.

As always our dinner was absolutely delicious. However we had to wait several minutes before anyone approached our table. I ordered a martini but 15 minutes later it still hadn’t arrived.bang bang shrimp arrived. Flagged down Dereon and asked him to check on martini and went ahead and ordered a second one so I would get it before the check came. Our server spent most of his time outside or at the hostess desk.thank goodness for food runners or we would still be waiting for our main course. We have always loved Bonefish but now it’s a long drive to get there since the one near us closed.

The food was good. I got the trio special. Ceasar salad, pasta with a brownie for desert. Waitress never brought my brownie to ho. The restaurant was almost empty. Just got tired of waiting for her. I used the greeter pin because Waitress never left on to sign my bill. Great food, horrible service after the greeter.

Food tasted great. Had a small order of gumbo and crawfish chowder. Live music during Mardi Gras. Memphis Second Line Jazz Band. Had a blueberry lemonade from the bar - tasted great. Only downside is the slow service, but partially overlooked due to the crowd and the occasion.

I was just introduced to Mardi Gras Memphis. This is 4 years too late for me. I love this place. It is on my MUST eat here list. The owner, Penny Henderson, is from Lake Charles La. I grew up in that part of Louisiana. I can assure you, this is authentic home style Cajun Food! Don’t confuse this with New Orleans cuisine. This is Cajun, not creole. There are some creole dishes, but this is rural Cajun at its best. Penny does a fantastic job of cooking and presenting her dishes. Ca c’est beaucoup bon!

My sisters and I decided to go to brunch. The customer service was on point from the moment we walked through the door. The biscuits were so good I had eaten one before I remembered to take pictures. We ordered Eggs Benedict, Seafood Gumbo, and Seafood Pasta. The staff are wearing masks properly, social distancing, and cleaning constantly.

Highly satisfied. Was on an 18 hr road trip and wanted to try something non-chain. This place was divine! Great vibe and AMAZING seafood gumbo & Catfish Po’Boy. Also random but LOVED the cute inspiring restroom.. one of a kind place, a must try!!

Went in for some drinks and maybe a bite. Bar area was busy and the local regulara seemed to get the attention first as I was seated for a good few minutes before having to track down a bar tender who ended up not even being a bar tender, but I digress. The drinks are overpriced, but the food was great. They have a bar menu and the regular menu, which i thought was great. Tried the in house made upper scale sausage dog, and it was great. Just enough to fill me up.

We ate at Iris over the weekend and had an amazing experience! The food was fabulous and our server was amazing! He was very welcoming and helpful with the menu. He also did a great job of being aware of my nut allergy and made a point to make sure the kitchen staff members were aware. I was very impressed with his attentiveness! As a party of 8, our appetizers and meals came out in a timely manner and everything was cooked to perfection. I had the “In a Pickle” cocktail and loved it! For dinner, I ordered the filet and it was super flavorful and perfectly cooked. The restaurant has such an amazing vibe! We were in a private room, and the chef even came by to welcome us and introduce himself. Loved our experience! I highly recommend Iris, and look forward to dining here again soon!

My first time at Iris I tried the fish amandine and it was amazing. Beautifully cooked fish and the perfect portion size. Ordered the fried chicken sandwich, it had really thick breading, too much for my taste, by the time i scraped it was very little chicken to enjoy. Just wasn't really impressed.

I loved the classy, calm atmosphere of this place. It's so inviting and calming. The green beans were surprisingly delicious, with the right amount of garlic flavor. I will definitely be back for more. It's the perfect spot to relax and enjoy some me-time, maybe with a glass of wine. I highly recommend it! Revisited: I tried their Grilled chicken sandwich and fries with ketchup. It was so pale and not the impression I had before. The fries tasted terrible. I just had another review for a spinach dip that was bad for the person next to me.

We enjoyed a relaxed lunch to celebrate my birthday & five years of togetherness... My husband enjoyed the shrimp & grits, while I chose a soup and salad combination of lobster bisque and Caesar salad. Although I’m a huge fan of salt, my husband thought the comfort of the shrimp & grits would have been even more satisfying without the additional ham. For my meal, I found the pesto oil added a interesting dimension to the lobster bisque. The restaurant space is filled with natural light and relaxed design...private rooms are available for groups. No wait for a party of two shortly after noon, on a Friday 😊

Had a pleasant, late lunch after several years of not eating here. The food was excellent. Flavorful choices on the menu. Two things cost it the fifth star. For the price there are good food alternatives in Memphis, & for the price there are more polished atmospheres at several places. Perhaps "dated" is the word to describe those negatives.

I am going to try to be fair. I got the cat fish po boy and was disappointed. It was $15 for a sandwich that came with your choice of side. Given the decor of the place and the items on the menu I assumed the cuisine was going to be superb. And when my food arrived it seemed as though my assumption was correct. It looked amazing, but unfortunately it tasted like the kitchen was completely out of spices and seasonings. The bun was not toasted enough and the breading on the catfish was slimy and falling off. It was just a sad experience altogether

The waitress was very polite. The drinks were what you'd expect for their price range. The charcuterie board was a joke (a couple slices of dried meat, a dollop of Grey Poupon, and A slice of bacon....no cheese, no bread/crackers, no marmalade). Overall disappointment. Poorly managed restaurant. I would have encouraged the waiting staff and bar tender to get a job at a better restaurant but I was too eager to leave and get some real food. Anyone writing good reviews for this place is either an employee or completely delusional.

I was there for a bridal shower for my first time visiting this restaurant. The service was not good at all. I guess because the waitress’ knew they were gonna get 20% gratuity, they didn’t care at all how they acted towards the guests. They didn’t smile at all and rushed us to place an order. Some people didn’t order food and they gave them even more attitude. The chicken wasn’t cooked right and after taking a bite out of it, my friend sent it back but it wasn’t taken off her bill and she wasn’t offered anything else, which is ridiculous. This is NOT the place to go if you have a party or if you want great service.

I am gluten sensitive and when I asked for gluten free suggestions from the limited menu the waiter told me essentially everything would be gluten free. Come to find out very few things were gluten free and most everything that was had honey in it. We ordered raw oysters and the first one I started to eat smelled so bad I couldn’t it get close to my mouth and the second left me with a strong metallic after taste and my husband said his did also. That taste lasted through the meal. Very over priced. No merlot on the wine list and the proseco I ordered cost as much as a bottle and was served in a small flUte. As for my husband and I we will not be back nor would we recommend this place to anyone.

Waitress was awesome. Patient while we decided. She brought drinks out before they were empty. We never lacked anything from her. I wish I could say that the food was great. It was so so. Mashed potatoes were one big hard lump. Funny but the baked squash was the same kind of lump. Meat was good but needed some seasoning. I have had better in the past.

I sat at the dessert bar in the first chair. and the manager made me move down two seats after I had gotten my food and everything I had ordered because I was "too close" to the girl on the register. he took my drink himself and moved it down the bar, it was ridiculous. the waitress girl was great and the food was great but the customer service was lacking. so rude

I will never eat here again. We received cold rolls and cornbread muffins. The waitress brought out my daughter food and the fish fell off the plate. The manager refused to give my daughter another piece of fish. So unprofessional and then walked off while I still was talking to her. I received rude customer service and I will never eat here again. I will also be making a complaint to the store manager tomorrow.

Had a really bad experience here. Food was fine, nothing special, pretty salt but good amount/quality for price. Biggest issue was the manager who was mean and nasty to her employee. Our kind waitress was probably a high school aged girl who was helpful in helping us navigate a coupon that Dixie Cafe mails out. Well due to confusion over an unclear menu our waitress told us that the items we ordered would be valued at the price listed on the coupon. She made a mistake, apparently, the coupon didn't cover one of the meals. Since the food had been brought out and eaten, and given our mis-information I felt that maybe the manager would help us out. Our waitress said that her manager insisted that we should pay full price for both items. I was less worried about the price and more about what we had been told by the waitress. The waitress was nice and sweet and understanding the entire time. The manager came out and very quickly turned to demeaning and nasty speech. She was not understanding and worst of all took her anger out on poor waitress. Not wanting to cause any more of an issue for this poor girl, I kindly agreed to pay the full price, almost 50% more than what was advertised and even tipped the young girl for the full amount. The manager was mean and nasty to this poor girl and us. As we were leaving, the manager was in the entry to the kitchen chewing the girl out while eating some food off of a plate. It was despicable and gross. This place calls itself a family restaurant but this manager was verbally abusive to her subordinate and coarse and disrespectful to us as customers. Don't eat here unless you want to support this kind of behavior. The food isn't worth it.

Cold food and sorry service. I had better food air dropped into the jungle when I was in the Army. The food was stone cold. They have square turkeys. The server argued over my wife's order. Then wondered why her tip was not $20.00. I bet the homeless people ate better at the Cook Convention Center.

Today we had lunch at the Bartlett location. The greeting was very good. We had a very good waitress. Everything was very good up until we got our food. While the waitress was handing out our food my daughters hamburger bun fell on the floor, so I asked the waitress if we could get another bun? She immediately told me I'm not sure if we can do that. So my reply was what! I told her I would like to see the manager. She told me Ok, I'll see what I can do. :( When she returned she told me that the cook said that he would have to charge me for another bun. I was infuriated. I told her I wanted to see the manager. After about 5 minutes the manager brings out another bun. I told him what had happened. His response was very weak, almost non-responsive. Kinda like a dead fish:-/ After he left us then the very professional and cordial waitress was apologetic for the manager and the moronic cook. She mentioned that it had to do with the inventory. She was very kind and polite:) Unfortunately, after she left our table my daughter screemed, Mom there is a bug under the table. Yeah, you know it was a big juicy Memphis cockroach trying to share our meal. He came from under the table to join us for lunch. Immediately, we all lost our appetites. My son quickly hand slams it for the kill with a napkin. My daughter and myself girl shrieked with horror. I told the kids no dessert here! Check please! What's the point of complaining. I 'll just take my business somewhere else where I am appreciated as a customer. I will patiently wait for them to create their on demise as a failing restaurant in 2017. You will not, shall not, never, Ever, EVER!!! SEE ME AGAIN!

This place gets busy for senior citizens around 4 pm for twilight specials. Meals are tired and old fashioned. If you're seeking southern cooking or country cooking, go to Cracker Barrel for better tasting fare and service.

Nope. Won't be returning. Shrimp were overcooked and everything was very greasy. Sausage is very tough. Very small hibachi portions. Not for these prices. I've had better from a Food truck.
