Beautiful bar with amazing interiors and a great vibe overall. The music is usually spot-on, and when I mentioned a playlist that didn’t quite fit the atmosphere, the team switched it back right away. Loved the quick response and the experience!

Busy brewpub in the heart of Aachen, in a pedestrian lane, with various seating areas and (on our visit) live music upstairs. Dark wood and traditional-style decor abound. The beer range and quality were good, service is either at the bar or at table. You may have to wait to be seated; there is seating outside too.

Amazing bar with beautiful decorations and a very comprehensive list of beers. Beers are super tasty, also a variety of cocktails are available. Prices are really good and the staff are fast and efficient. Sometimes, it is a bit crowded though.

Place is full of life. Great music, great vibes, and great beer. It mostly stays open even past midnight. And It’s located in the heart of the historical old town square in Aachen.

We ate here twice and both times the food was excellent. The pork knuckle was juicy and full of flavor, and the sausages were just as tasty. The staff were friendly and welcoming. A couple of downsides: the toilet was quite dirty both times, definitely needs more attention. Also, payment can be tricky. Tourists, be prepared: not all cards are accepted, so have cash with you just in case (see my photo for more info). Portions are well balanced for the price, and the authentic interior adds to the charm. We’d still love to come back for the food and atmosphere!

I really loved the interior design of the place. The serving is quite large so we shared our food. I'm looking for a little bit more flavor with the food but overall the meat was soft and tender. The staff were very friendly and accommodating as well. The catch for payment is they so not accept Visa or MasterCard. Be prepared to have cash or a giocard, v pay or maestro cards.

It was my first time at the restaurant, and it was a good experience. However, when I was paying the bill, I was in for a surprise. They don't accept credit cards or debit cards from other countries. I live in Belgium and went for a visit. Okay, I had some cash; the bill came to €86, and I was only €6 short. They didn't give me an option to pay the rest. I offered a bank transfer, all my cards, and nothing. They simply said there was nothing they could do. I left my wife and my kid at the restaurant and tried to withdraw money, but to no avail. Seeing my difficulty, they really didn't give me an option, because of the €6 bill. I had to go to a supermarket and ask a customer who would pay the bill in cash to give me the amount, so I could pay with my Belgian card. That was the only way I could get the remaining €6. I returned to the restaurant, paid the 6 euros, rescued my wife and daughter, and left. It was a complete lack of empathy. However, there was a small sign at the entrance warning that they didn't accept credit cards. Unfortunately, I didn't pay attention.

the food was super tasty, quite authentic, the service was quick, and everything was absolutely delicious. The beer was tasty, fairly priced, and served in large sizes. I especially recommend the weiss beer. I especially recommend the dishes shown in the photos.

It’s been 30 years since I last came here. The Pork knuckle tastes the same as 30 years ago which is excellent. The Schnitzel was also good. Two of us paid €52 for food and drinks. A good place to start to learn about German cuisine. Highly recommended.

We’re from the southwest US and love German cuisine. This is our first visit to Germany and this restaurant is a true gem! My partner and I especially like sauerbraten and the dinner we enjoyed at Aachener Brauhaus was absolutely amazing, served with cabbage and gnocchis. The beef was so tender that it could easily be cut with a fork and melted in our mouths with a wonderful sauce. Of course German beer is known around the globe for its purity and flavor, so I enjoyed a great dunkel while she had an outstanding weissbier. Excuse the superlatives but our meals were just that good.

Fantastic authentic German cuisine - I ate here with my son and we both really enjoyed the food, service and atmosphere within the Brauhaus. If we are back in Aachen we will be sure to visit again

Lovely, cosy local restaurant, which seems to attract a lot of the locals as well, more so than travellers, which is usually a great sign, meaning that the food is authentic. The schnitzels here were fantastic, good size, great batter and both the pepper and mushroom sauce were super flavourful, of course accompanied by some locals beers this was a real treat. Lovely staff as well!

Great food, service and atmosphere! They led us to the back of the restaurant, a paved garden with gorgeous gazebos and fairy lights as the sun began to set. Had the garlic escargots, schnitzel with pepper sauce, turkey breast with mushroom sauce (super flexible as that should have been with a mustard sauce), potatoes cooked to perfection and a fresh season salad. The wines recommended were excellent. Definitely a lovely spot to dine, in this charming German town! :)

We visited Am Kipp yesterday with my mom and sister, and we were absolutely blown away! The food was incredible – we had schnitzel with pepper sauce and a fresh salad, perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Portions were generous, and we left with happy, full stomachs. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere was lively and cheerful – yes, it’s a bit loud, but that’s part of the charm. Definitely make a reservation, as the place is usually packed. And the draft beer was just perfect! We’ll definitely be coming back.

The ambient was super cozy and dog friendly, the service was impeccable and the schnitzels were amazing! Everything was really, really good. If you’re around Aachen, I highly recommend it! Also, ask for the Crème Brûlée and thank me later.

Little old gem in Aachen! The food is amazing and the atmosphere smells like a traditional old beerhall. The food is delicious and portions are good enough. You can’t go wrong with this place. The owners are so friendly even more like a family. Definitely recommend place 👌🏻

In Burtscheid, Ferbers is my fav restaurant. I like going there regardless of the season. In Summer the Park is an extra treat. The food is always great, the drinks are also good and the staff, most of the time, very attentive and friendly. The place is also children-friendly, which is great in summer because of the park. I’ve had many happy moments there.

A great place for a summers evening like today. Fantastic food. We had the summer bowl which was so tasty and just what we needed after a day on the road. The children loved the bolognese. Menus in English and helpful, attentive staff. We will go next time we're passing.

The place is very nice overlooking the park, with space to sit inside and on the terrace. The atmosphere is beautiful to be with your family, couple or friends. You can really have a great time. About the waiters, they are incredibly friendly. As for the food and drinks, everything was delicious but I will have to say that the price is a little high; I would still go back to try other things on the menu.

We arrived at the restaurant at lunchtime and waited to be greeted, but the waiters just walked past us. We sat at the table for five minutes and were ignored. We went to ask the waiter where to place our order and he directed us to the cashier. We went to the cashier and from there we were directed back to the table, they said the order would be taken there. After we had been in the restaurant for 15 minutes without being noticed, we decided to leave.

The food was delicious, the ambiance was delightful, and the service provided by the friendly and attentive staff was truly outstanding. I can't wait to return for another fantastic meal. Highly recommended!

This restaurant is located inside a small park. The atmosphere and decoration are nice and modern. The toilets are very clean. There are plenty of outdoor seats and a playground nearby. The staff was very friendly but the food took quite a while to arrive. Food is very delicious. One plus point for me is there are many vegetarian dishes.

Well.. it’s a bit messy, alternative but very cute. Especially outside when the sun is out! I think that maybe adding natural wines would be something to consider :-) and maybe the toilets need a fix too!

Really nice bar in the city center of Aachen! People running the place are very kind and welcoming. The place has a very cozy atmosphere and the drinks are inexpensive. The apple pie is also quite nice. Definitely worth a visit!

Super cheap drinks and very cute outdoor area. Got pretty dark at most tables at night, too dark to play cards but not too dark to see your company. Drinks were great, good Lillet Wild Berry and Radler on tap. Service wasn’t amazing, maybe they were short staffed that night?

Disrespectful staffs who come out and ignore coming to your table to take the order! Even though I walked inside to politely ask for someone to take my order, and the young girl at the counter very impolitely ignored what I'm asking for. Very disappointing

Just coincidentally found this place. Stopped in for lunch, We asked for two veggie options, the shakshouka and Lauch-Hackfleisch-Suppe. And both were excellent, with nice complex flavors. Surprisingly, it’s the best shakshouka I’ve had in a restaurant thus far. The pictures don’t look too great but u gotta trust me on it XD The vibe of the place is nice and seems to be student oriented. The prices were also very reasonable.

Amazing location with a welcoming ambience. The staff was very friendly with a highly passionate owner. In case of questions, just ask Tobias, he has the answer for sure! I loved the careful wine selection (both German and international) and the matching food served with it. Very much enjoyed our great evening!

We drank some really nice white wine and ordered an appetizer platter to go with it. It was very good. We enjoyed the lovely, sunny terrace, though it was mid April and still chilly. The waitress offered us a blanket. The next morning I noticed my sunglasses were missing. I forgot them in the bar and the very friendly staff sent them to me all the way to Belgium. Though this is a rare situation, this service proves that these people really care about their customers!

Remains on the acceptable side if hip. Good G&T, some local craft beers (at a price), some nice light snacks. The layout and decor is really nice, with some nice art works. Bar seating possible.

The food was very nice despite the fact that my beetroot sweet potato salad had no sweet potatoes and neither any of the announced mushrooms in it! The wildness about the salad came across as Feldsalat, which is not so wild in Germany. But anyway, it was really nice and the remaining advertised flavours where all there and that did the trick for me. I liked it and would eat there again. The atmosphere was lovely despite the coolish evening we had to face.

A typical German Kneipe with limited menu. Good beer and wine selection, friendly table service. Mainly young crowds, well behaved as you'd expect from this demographic. Music is kept on the low, so you can actually have a conversation here.

😍 Their Altbiersschokokuchen is sooo good! It's moist and decadent without being too sweet. 🤩 The place itself has a relaxed vibe. I can imagine myself enjoying a cup of coffee while doing some work during the day. It's also a nice place to have a few beers after a day's work. 👌 Reasonably priced with efficient and attentive staff. So glad I tried out this place. Will definitely go back again. And again. And again... 💕

It’s a great place, great location. And sometimes literately a last location. However, the waiters & waitresses are very friendly. Also when you come around close to curfew. Always a place worth to visit for a couple of drinks.

Still the best place for artisan food, have a really good rhubarb spritz or just get your work done with power supplied for your devices

They know how to make cocktails! I always try the signature cocktail or the favorite of the owner/barman, and he prepared a variation of the Negroni that was awesome. I Highly recomend this place for cocktail lovers.

My favourite bar in Aachen - great service, great drinks. If you are unsure what you would like, just ask for help. The only downside is that it is sometimes quite full, meaning you need to wait a bit.

Always want to go there and yes finally 🤩 the guy who works as a barman was awesome, he helped and recommend to us which drinks are good. Trying and tasting new Gin was awesome. They are indeed super professional. Decoration also got my attention. The lamp the table and ... Anyway we had so much and If you like to have good drinks from professionals you should go here..

Really great bar! Seating is very limited so arrive early or prepare to stand. The bartender treats every drink like a work of art.... Would highly recommend!

Great place, good to have a drink, inside in a intimist atmosphere or outside in the courtyard. The bartender gave us good advices and I really enjoyed my Mezcal Mule 😉

Exquisite cocktails and wines. Prices are relatively high, but so is the quality of the drinks as well. The place is a bit small and the tables are up tight.

The movie theater is very good (we went to room 3) and has several cool bar areas. My only strange thing was the popcorn: since there was only one type on display, I assumed it was salty (I thought it was the standard), but it was actually sweet. A little disappointing, but it was good. There are options for movies in the original language.

It would have been 5* if the staff (woman) at the cloakroom didn’t ROLL her eyes every time we asked something. She was very rude and grumpy. When she gave change, she should have given 8,5€, but only gave 3,5€, thinking that we would not notice because we were drunk. Fortunately, we were completely sober and noticed that. When we pointed out, she again rolled her eyes and unwillingly gave us 5€. They don’t have to be friendly, I get it, but should at least be neutral and respect customers! So guys, watch out! The market is big, why choosing a club with bad staff?!

Salsa im Apollo is not salsa im Apollo anymore. I have been visiting this place the last 15 years. And the quality in the last year decrease that I rather do not go anymore. Only 2 of the 4 DJs are good. They decided to split the rooms for other dance styles. Which I can understand. But the average amount of people is 16 in these new setup . While people in the salsa room is hitting each other because of the lack of space. It has become so unenjoyable that I rather travel to cologne or Düsseldorf (like many other acquaintances that decided to stop going). It seems that management just don't give a Damm after the complain of many visitors..

I went to the Apollo club with my friends for the Bollybeats event. We had a great time! The security guards were friendly, the wardrobe fee was cheap (1€ and safe), and the bathroom was clean. The only issue was that the dance floor was a little small for the number of people who came to the party so we used little bit of the sitting area as well!

I attended a beginner's Salsa course before a party, but the instructor's teaching style and unwarranted warnings left me feeling uncomfortable. Their focus on avoiding inappropriate behavior felt excessive, and I left the party early, having paid but not enjoyed the experience.

Definitely a go to place if you want to try beers. They have special beer tasting options and a vast variety of beers to be tried and tested. The staff is super nice and can recommend you their choice of beers as well. They have several bottled beers as well, to choose from. A must try if you’re in Aachen.

Such a great place to taste different brewed beer from Germany, Belgium, Poland and more. A bit pricey, but worth it. Different categories, like fruity, dark, cider, and others. They have an online ordering system for your table which is awesome. Recommended to visit!

I was craving some hops while on a quick trip to Aachen, and glad I stumbled across this gem. Great selection of craft beer, both draft and cans & bottles. They have a decent selection of beer to go as well. Excellent and knowledgeable beer tenders. Small menu, but tasty snacks. I really enjoyed the flammekuchen. Definitely stop by if you’re a beer lover!

Absolute best. Couldn't find a substitute to this in Berlin. There are craft beer shops everywhere with a variety of bottled selections but this one stands out in the crowd due their from the tab options and excellent enthusiastic staff. Joined their both beer tasting and beer manufacturing workshops and there you really see the passion they put in their work and pub. Thank you for your service and cheers to the next time🍻

Lovely beer spot right in the center of Aachen. 24 taps, mix of German Classics, some Belgian commercial classics and plenty craft beers from Germany, Europe and USA. Lots of different beer styles to try, even possible in 10cl glasses. Even bigger selection in bottles and cans, just choose from the shelves or fridges. Tips for the place: we did not know there are some small bites, only upon hearing when we were about to leave. Maybe make it available on a menu or the online menu (we did not notice on the online menu). There is a big fridge available, maybe put all those tasty hoppy beers in cans in the fridge. Hops fade fast, they love a cold spot ✌

An absolutely amazing place! Such a cozy environment. I liked the tables and leather couches. I loved the decoration. It was really stunning. The shelves with the beers were really beautiful. I think that this was one of the pubs with the biggest variety that we found in whole Aachen. There draft beer was amazing. The service was excellent and the staff was very kind. They even gave us a Hopfen-Malz sticker. I would totally recommend it.

Unfortunately, this is the first time that we have had a bad experience in a public place. This place is all about self-interest. The staff and waiters are not friendly, they have no manners and are very rude. I've been to this place a few times and thought it was a good place. But we just had a really bad experience. The waitress ignored us, so I waved at her and then the waitress started aggressively insulting us and trying to throw us out. That's why this whole problem occurred. The bald old bartender was very rude and treated the guest and customers with an aggressive attitude that was not polite at all. The waitress was especially rude and had no manners and waitress "she" started attacking us and then started touching my girlfriend. What kind of service establishment has such a rude and unethical employee? Unbelievable? I wrote down everything that happened. If the employer could on Google Maps to delete this review, I would write it again and again. I wrote this as a warning so that other customers don't have this experience.

Weird pub, this place is red flag. The waiters and the people who work there, they are rude and have ethical problem. I can't believe there is a place in Aachen with service like this. UNBELIEVABLE!!!!! It was shocking that the female (Iranian) waitress attacked us with bad words??? I never forget her smiling face when we kicked out. Very bad service, not a nice place.

Nice old style simple interior with bar seating and tables. Good Guinness & Gin n Tonic, great serice. A beer garden to the side. Worth the walk from the centre.

Nice place with cheap drinks. It is not so big therefore a reservation ia recommended on weekends. They have a great selection of shots and the whiskey selection is also decent. However the wine is not the best. They offer bar games like dies. In the summer they have a great beer garden. From time to time they have live music in the bar. You can also have bigger tables . Birthday celebrations are also possible. Parking is possible on the street, however it is tricky to find a place. Cash machine is around the corner. Safe neighborhood.

Nice bar with a Biergarten. Friendly atmosphere and workers. I give it 4 and not 5, because the beers are a bit "expensive" compared to other places around.

The main waiter was really unpolitie and we didn’t felt welcome there we Won’t come back again if you want to have a nice evening there are plenty of other bars where you should go!!

Guinness and a nice outdoor beer garden. Need I say more?? They don't do food, but allow you to bring food from some of the take away places around. I've been here a few times and enjoy it!

If you're into craft beers, you definitely need to go here. They have a pretty big variety and they also serve many other drinks. That being said, the best part about the place is the owner. Incredibly outgoing, kind and fun. He gave me some really nice recommendations, talked candidly about the brewing process and even searched for the trains that I needed to take after some of them got canceled.

Without a doubt, my absolute favorite watering hole in Aachen. Incredible selection of craft beer and excellent cocktails - this place has a great, intimate vibe and staff who knows their stuff. Put this place on your list if you like craft drinks and friendly, knowledgeable service.

A great place in Aachen with a friendly atmosphete to enjoy a drink at night. It has a great variety of drinks to choose from such as beer, sake , wines and gin. The staff there are really friendly, they spoke to us in English as soon as they understood that we are internationals and they gave us recommendations and explanations for their menu. The place was clean!

Visited 28/8/2018. Trendy place with a good bottled beer selection. The tap beers are more limited and there are no draught German beers which I'd like to see. The bottled beer selection was extensive with crew republic and some Dutch beers. You can sit inside and outside. No wifi

One of my favourite locations in town. Chill employees and I remember cool events such as karaoke nights, it was a pleasure being there with a friend!

Got there on a weekday, not many people as expected but still the security was very reluctant to let me and my friend in. Were rude and only spoke german (I did not understand but my friend explained what they said). Just looked at me and made a face, said that I cannot go in sneakers, even though at least half of the people inside (female and male) had similar shoes on. No one was dressed nicely so we thought it was a strange statement. They gave my friend a push for the sole reason that we did not understand their reasoning and thus did not go out of the line within few seconds. I felt so unwelcome, while I understand that some places have dress codes the rudeness and agressiveness was so inneccessary, for an almost empty place with the few people inside casually dressed.

Heard a lot of people saying its one of the best places to have fun especially the karaoke night on Thursday. Went there and requested a song. It was quite animated so expected to sing in a while but noticed the same people always singing and the wait has been long (2h) I go to the dj who showed me my song 4th on the queue. Another guy took over and was waiting but over 6 songs passed and I saw the guys putting his friends on top even when they sang most of the time which was clearly unfair went to him and told him what his colleagues said he just told me I have no control on the queue but when I confronted him that I saw him putting the same people before everyone not once not twice but the whole night. He told me ok ok I will put u back. I was a bit disappointed. To sum up very nice place but if you want a chance to sing you better be friend with the dj.

I was for the first time there, the party with DJ Danero was hella fun. I liked the atmosphere, the crew and the boys at the door were cool and funny as hell :-D. I will come back next time with more friends
