Kualoa Ranch, a 4,000-acre nature retreat in Hawaii, offers a wide range of activities such as ATVs, zip-lining, and beach tours. Despite its name, the ranch was once sacred land exclusively accessible to the royal family. It has served as the backdrop for numerous films including Jurassic World and Godzilla. The ranch features a zip line course that allows visitors to soar above landscapes seen in famous movies.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! This place was a dream! I took my family here for the Movies and Sites tour since we have a baby and he could only go on certain tours and we loved every second of it! I am not a huge movie person and I still appreciated the tour and all of the information. We learned so much and got to see some incredible sights. We had such a good time, that we even booked a second excursion for that afternoon! Everyone we interacted with was friendly and knowledgeable. We found the cost to be reasonable and the timing worked well for us. I definitely recommend booking in advance as there were a lot of people there. This is a must do when in the area!

Such an amazing place — a must-visit when you come to Hawaii! I highly recommend trying the UTV tour. Next time, I really want to go horseback riding. After seeing so many horses in person, I really wanted to ride, but it was fully booked. You definitely need to book this place in advance. The scenery is stunning — it feels like dinosaurs could appear at any moment, with beautiful mountains and ocean views. The UTV guides were so fun and friendly!

First off, buy your tickets in advance... as far in advance as possible. The ranch is beautiful and has plenty to do. I signed up for the half day visit and it was definitely worth the visit. I will say that the lunch was not exceptionally great, but it was not bad either. (Be sure not to leave food unattended or feathered friends will take it.) The ranch cinema tour was fun but the chances to explore are very limited. Be aware that the Jurassic tour is not the same tour, so you may want to consider that when booking. (It would be nice if you could could substitute the Jurassic tour for the ocean voyage.) The tour guides were great! A special shout out to the lady who got us ready to get on the bus. She was especially friendly and really went over the top with her interactions. (I didnt catch her name) It may not be all that exciting for kids as they are not going to probably enjoy it at the same level as adults but that is not to say it is not a family event. (The kids on our tour seemed to genuinely enjoy it, they just didnt get the magnitude of what they were seeing.) In short, this is a must do if visiting the island!
Doug S — Google review
We booked the ATV tours and got it with the guide which I highly recommend so that everybody gets a chance to enjoy the scenery. Having the guide was also great as they told a lot of stories while we rode along with them and they were super funny and energetic. They also drove very safely. Sites and views here were unreal. Lots of time to take photos and also time for the guides to explain the different sites. We had Malohi for our guide and he was amazing!!!
Melzy P — Google review
This historic ranch is nestled in the lush green mountains on the northern part of the Island. There is free car parking available here, while they also have paid shuttles for pick up from Waikiki beach area. The landscape around this area is truly magical and provides a surreal feeling. We took the 90 minute long Hollywood Movie Set tour. The tour was carried out on a modified open air truck with comfortable seats and seat belts. The boarding process was smooth and the truck driver was also the tour guide. He was very nice and kept the mood light, although at times it was difficult to understand his accent through the microphone. The guide was very knowledgeable and gave a lot of information on each topic. The tour took us through a World War 2 Bunker that has now been converted into a museum with some artifacts from that era and mostly with posters and props from various movies and TV shows that have been shot here. The stop at the Museum was 10 minutes. After that the tour moved through the farm land with both agricultural and livestock commodities. After that we passed through various filming locations where the vehicle does not stop but slows down and you hear commentary. The final stop comes at the set with plenty of replica bones and skull heads of King Kong movie on display. The stop here is again for 10 minutes. The tour takes different paths on the way out and back so a lot of beautiful scenery to be seen. Overall highly recommend this tour if you are into Holly movies and TV shows.
Avais S — Google review
Nice place to visit. All the attractions require reservations otherwise you may not be able to buy tickets onsite due to limited spaces. We did the tour driving around the park in a car. There were only spots left where we rode in the backseat with the tour guide in the same vehicle. This was great because the tour guide was describing the park and we were getting a live tour and also we were able to take pictures and videos anytime. There is a cafe and gift shop at the entrance too. Even if you drive your own vehicle, you will only be allowed to follow the guide in a line.
Doua M — Google review
Great stop on my recent trip to Hawaii. I found this wonderful ranch as part of the GoCity package I bought (pro tip, get it on Groupon!) and it did not disappoint. As a huge fan of the Jurassic Park franchise, it felt like we were set extras! The "secret island" was beautiful, secluded and had like 30 people so it felt very exclusive. There were a host of activities, like paddle boarding, turtle spotting, swimming, movie tours, we even made tea leaf jewelry as a wonderful keepsake of our time. Highly recommend!
Anna C — Google review
We had the most amazing time on the Jurassic Adventure, 3 hour trip with our driver and tour guide Precious! She was SO amazing, the Ranch is lucky to have her. She is so knowledgeable about Hawaiian culture and all the movies filmed here, just an unbelievably talented young lady. I'm sure all the driver's/guides are good, but it will be hard to top Precious. I NEVER say this, but don't worry about the cost of this adventure, the juice is worth the squeeze!!! A hui hou, Precious!!

Island
O‘ahu, the third-largest island in Hawaii, is a vibrant destination brimming with vacation amenities and rich history. As the home of Honolulu and the iconic Pearl Harbor, it offers visitors a unique blend of culture and natural beauty. The windward side boasts lush vegetation due to its wetter climate, making it a picturesque area to explore. A drive from Waikiki to Kailua along the coastal highway reveals stunning sights that are not to be missed.
Overall a great island. This is the most balanced one out of all of the islands. It has the city for urban adventures and tons of hiking trails and beaches for nature lovers too. With the giant attractions like Pearl Harbor and the Dole Plantation, you can easily spend 5 days here and not be close to exploring the entire island. Fights here are the cheapest too because of the big airport. Lots of hotels and restaurants. If you come to Oahu, don’t forget to try surfing or snorkeling. Overall just a great place for vacation.

Visited in late June. Beautiful from the beaches to the mountains. Water was wonderful wherever we went (mostly windward coast). We rented a car and parking was a challenge at times but if you were patient it worked out. So many beautiful beaches and hikes. I would definitely recommend getting away from the tourist traps in the Waikiki area and exploring more of the island.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 – A True Paradise in the Pacific – Oahu, Hawaii Visiting Oahu was a breathtaking experience that truly captured the spirit of "Aloha." This island perfectly blends natural beauty, rich cultural heritage, and modern comforts. Whether you're an adventure seeker, beach lover, foodie, or history enthusiast, Oahu has something unforgettable to offer. 🏖️ Beaches: The beaches are absolutely world-class — from the calm turquoise waters of Lanikai Beach and family-friendly Kailua, to the vibrant waves of Waikiki and the massive surf breaks at the North Shore. Sunset Beach and Waimea Bay during winter are a must-see for surf lovers! 🏞️ Nature & Views: Hiking Diamond Head Crater offers stunning views of Honolulu and the Pacific Ocean. If you're into lush tropical landscapes, the Manoa Falls Trail and the Pali Lookout provide amazing scenery. Don’t miss the drive along the Windward Coast — it’s like something out of a movie. 🏯 Culture & History: Pearl Harbor is a deeply moving experience that gives insight into a pivotal moment in world history. Iolani Palace and the Bishop Museum provide a deeper understanding of Hawaiian royalty and native culture. 🍽️ Food: Oahu is a foodie's paradise. From local plate lunches and poke bowls to food trucks on the North Shore (like Giovanni’s Shrimp Truck), everything is fresh and full of flavor. Don’t leave without trying malasadas from Leonard’s Bakery and shaved ice from Matsumoto’s. 🛍️ Shopping & Nightlife: Honolulu offers great shopping — Ala Moana Center is huge — and a lively nightlife scene. Waikiki is full of energy, live music, and beachfront bars, but still feels safe and welcoming. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Family & Safety: Very family-friendly with plenty of public facilities, clean beaches, and helpful locals. The island feels safe even in the busy areas. 🚗 Getting Around: Public transport (TheBus) is reliable, but renting a car gives you the freedom to explore more remote areas. Traffic in Honolulu can get busy during peak hours, but nothing unmanageable. 🌅 Final Thoughts: Oahu is more than just a vacation spot — it’s an experience that stays in your heart. The warm people, the diverse landscapes, and the deep cultural roots make it an island unlike any other. Would I return? Absolutely — in a heartbeat. #Oahu #HawaiiTravel #AlohaSpirit #ParadiseOnEarth #TravelReview

Tons of things to do on this relatively small island; there’s a wide diversity activity for many different interests. It’s expensive, but you will get some amazing scenery!

From above, it looks like a lost world — but this green crater carved into the cliffs is very real. Welcome to Diamond Head, or Lēʻahi, the giant 500,000-year-old tuff cone standing tall in Oʻahu like a scar from Earth's fiery past. 🌋 One eruption. One crater. A half-million years of silence... and now? It’s a place where tourists hike, history lives, and the view is out of this world. Nature doesn’t just create — sometimes it engraves a memory right into the planet.

There's a good reason why Hawaii and specifically Oahu is the most vacationed to location in the world. The weather's always perfect beaches are perfect, foods amazing, and wait till you get out of Waikiki the island is truly beautiful from every angle. Just respect the locals and they'll respect you back. Time to get your vacation on, Mahalo for reading.
Yassine H — Google review
This is the island I live on. It has the capital Honolulu. Waikiki Beach downtown is the place to party and enjoy nightlife. The west side (not counting the Disney resort area) tends to be a bit slummy but the beaches are less crowded. The resorts over there are extremely nice but they are separated from the island and it feels fake like Disneyland. The north Shore is pretty chill but it can also be a bit of a tourist trap. That's where I would go if I was a surfer and wanted to mix touristy with watersports. The east side is my favorite part. It is way green compared to the other parts of the island and the beaches are great! After the beach you can pop into the smaller towns and eat good food in a more relaxed yet nice area. You can typically get anywhere on the island in 1 or 2 hours traffic depending. Around Honolulu and the rim loop traffic can get atrocious!!! Be mindful of City traffic in town and tourists that are looking at the GPS instead of the road in the north shore area for example. And be prepared to pay for everything AND TIP! This is one of the most expensive places in the US. I don't care what a gallon of milk costs in Nebraska Everything costs more here! Enjoy your stay but know that people live here too.

The Ohana Circle Island Tour in Oahu typically lasts around 8 to 10 hours, starting in the early morning and ending in the midafternoon. There's also a shorter 6-hour option available. Guests have praised the tour guides for their friendliness, humor, and informative commentary throughout the journey. The stops along the way are described as amazing and beautiful, making it a preferred choice over self-guided visits to these locations.
We had a great time doing the 8 hour Circle the Island tour with our guide Charlie, he was very knowledgeable and friendly throughout the experienced. This company was also the only one that was able to take our reservation since we have 19 month old, others weren’t able to as they require a child to be over 2 years old and will need to purchase a ticket which also saved us money. Overall we highly recommend this for anyone that’s visiting Oahu new or returning as it showcases the beauty of the island well.

I am giving 3 stars because I genuinely have mixed feelings. The stops on the tour were 5/5 stars hands down!! They were awesome!!! Unfortunately, our tour guide spent way too much time talking about himself. I feel like I walked away with more information about his personal life than the tour. Also, he made multiple “jokes” about women that were not necessary or appropriate. There was very little room to just take everything in. The tour guide was talking NON-STOP the whole way. Often about stuff that was personal to him, not Oahu. He was a kind guy and knowledgeable, I just wish the tour was handled with more professionalism. I hope that this feedback can be shared and benefit the company as a whole. That is why I am not using his name. Mahalo!

We loved our tour guide, Ian! He was welcoming, fun, knowledgeable, and made us feel as part of Ohana. Highly recommend this tour!

My husband and I had the best experience yesterday! We had an amazing, friendly and funny tour guide - Brock! He was informative and made the bus ride entertaining. The stops were amazing and beautiful! I would suggest this tour rather than trying to going to these stops on your own, only because I wouldn’t know how to get around to these locations. Mitch, our driver was great and I felt perfectly safe with him behind the wheel. If we get another chance to come back to Oahu we will book this tour again.

Travis accepted us as his guests (like family). He did an amazing job, his tour, knowledge and patience with us was fantastic! We went to several beach sites, dole plantation, lunch, turtles and much more. See ya for a spear fishing tour next! Thank you very much!

Noah was a great tour guide! He was very knowledgeable on the history of Hawaii and had some great personal stories of his own to share. Would definitely recommend this tour company if you’re looking for an informative and entertaining tour of the island!

Hi Liza, the tour was amazing and Ian was top notch. 5 star for the tour cause he made it that much special and better for the 5 of us that went. Ian also remembered everyone's name when we were off the bus. Please let him know he did amazing.

Pearl Harbor is a historical site that attracts families, including children who enjoy the experience. The ferry ride to the Arizona Memorial and viewing the sunken battleship from the platform are captivating for visitors of all ages. It's a place to pay respects to those lost in the attack, with visible oil still surfacing from the USS Arizona after many years. This destination offers a cultural and historical experience for all who visit.
Paying respect to the people we lost in the Pearl Harbor attack. After so many years you can still see oil coming out of the Arizona 🤯

Recommend the visit to Pearl Harbor. It's hard knowing that so many men are still entombed in the Naval Ships. We owe our military respectful remembrance for their sacrifice.

Monument
The Arizona Memorial, part of the Pearl Harbor National Memorial in Hawaii, is a significant tourist destination, attracting thousands of visitors daily. It honors the 1,664 crewmen who lost their lives during the attack on Oahu in 1941. The memorial includes several sites such as the USS Arizona Memorial, which sits above the sunken battleship and serves as the resting place for over a thousand sailors and Marines.
Powerful, memorable, historical, meaningful. All those poor young lives. History is so brutal Leave your purse in the car if you can. It’s $7 to leave your bag at the front. If it’s clear it’s okay. Even small fanny packs not allowed. We just walked in and didn’t reserve for reservations. This part was free to sign up to wait for the ferry to USS ARIZONA. We waited for a little over an hour for our que to go to the memorial. While we waited, We paid to see the submarine inside. $48 for two adults one child. When our number was up the ride was somewhat calming . The memorial is in great condition . The ship.. well It’s crazy how you can still see the mast after 80+ years! Scary

The pearl harbor location was a great place to learn about the history and conflict during the past wars. You can see modern shifts at pearl harbor and the older ships in the museum section of the harbor. Highly recommend visiting this place as the facilities are very nice and you get to see a lot about the history.
David S — Google review
I booked the ferry in the morning and because the memorial is in active military base, so all operation is done by National Park service and united state navy. Before we go to the memorial, they took us to the conference room and park ranger gave us the briefing that made me look at the memorial differently. It isn't an attraction, but it is a tomb that we should pay a respect to the soldier that passed away on that day. No talking out laud, phone must be put in silence, no taking picture on the dock but we can take a picture inside. They gave us 15-20 minutes until new round arrived then we took a ferry back to the base. I suggest if you want to visit all the museums, going to USS Arizona memorial in the morning it will make this trip flow and easier.

Opening hours are 8 am to 4 pm Entry to the site is free. You can book a ticket slot for 1$ on the recreation website. Be aware NO purse or bags are allowed on the site. Just a wallet is ok. Parking is 7$ per entry day.

Visiting Pearl Harbor is an emotional and deeply moving experience that every American should have at least once. The site is beautifully preserved and serves as a powerful reminder of the courage, sacrifice, and history that shaped our nation. The USS Arizona Memorial is both haunting and humbling, offering a quiet moment to reflect and pay respect to the lives lost on December 7, 1941. The exhibits and museums are incredibly well done — informative, detailed, and full of authentic artifacts that bring history to life. The staff and volunteers are knowledgeable and respectful, ensuring the experience is both educational and heartfelt. The audio tour is highly recommended, as it gives a deeper understanding of the events and personal stories tied to that day. From the moment you arrive, you can feel the weight of history — but also the strength of resilience and unity. Pearl Harbor isn’t just a tourist stop; it’s a place of remembrance and gratitude. If you’re visiting Oahu, make this a priority. It’s a profound reminder of our past and a tribute to those who gave everything for our future.

It is said that this is the most visited place in Hawaii. It is the final resting place for 1,177 sailors and Marines who died on that fateful day of December 7, 1941. This solemn, poignant and peaceful place can evoke emotions in even the most unshakable of us. The memorial is constructed in a most respectful way. The wreck is still leaking oil, quite visible from the memorial. These are called the "black tears". The tours of the monument are well organized, even with large crowds. I'll never forget this "bucket list" visit.
Dan T — Google review
This is not my 1st time here however this time I had a unique experience that made it very special. As we walked into the ticketing booth they had told us to proceed to go through and didn’t have to purchase tickets, my family was the only part of this group that went over on the shuttle to the memorial and had it to ourselves for the 10 to 15 minutes. A truly remarkable experience to have with the family!
Kris S — Google review
A memorial to honor the navy soldiers and marines who lost their lives during the 1941 Pearl Harbor. The memorial has documented history of the destroyed battleship through plaques, signboards, and posters. Here you can see the remains of the ship above the water, as well as under the water. There is also a rectangular opening inside the memorial to view remains of the ship submerged in water. At the end there is a large wall where names of all the soldiers who were on board at that time. To arrive at this memorial you need to take the ferry from the main terminal site. The captains on the ferry are navy personnel, the one on the way back was very nice and gave a lot more information in a fun manner and due to availability of time also got us some very good and historically significant shots of the Memorial and the ship behind it. It’s a short 5 minute navy boat ride. Once at the memorial you have to keep right to let the existing people leave and board the same ferry going back.

Dole Plantation, located about 10 miles inland from the North Shore and 20 miles northwest of Honolulu, is a historic pineapple plantation that offers a variety of activities and tours for families. Visitors can enjoy a narrated train ride on the Pineapple Express Train, explore the Plantation Garden, navigate through the Pineapple Maze Garden, learn about cutting pineapples, watch chocolate-making demonstrations, and feed fish in the pond.
Go inside and get yourself some Dole!!! It is a popular tourist area, and we went on a weekday. The drive to the Dole Plantation is so beautiful!! And arriving to this location makes it worth it! We got the Dole Whip cup with pineapples and it tasted to satisfying, especially in the hot humid weather. And the pineapples were a reward with every bit. Put this on your bucket list!!
Nwoo — Google review
The gift shop is incredible and probably the best part about the plantation. Parking can be difficult so pack extra patience. The line to get into the store is zero, but there's a line to buy tickets (about 10 mins). The Cafe has long lines while we were there, but moved quick. We purchased tickets for the train ride and garden. The garden is absolutely beautiful, but small for what you have to pay to see. The 20 min train ride through the plantation was the biggest tourist trap and time waster ever. We stood in line for an hour and a half for a narrated tour past dilapidated farm equipment that probably hasn't ran in this century. There's a few other marked spots of interest during the 2 mile trek. The best thing I can say about this tour was it qas very relaxing as I actually nodded off during a small section of the ride and narration. Save your money and just spend it on Dole Whip and and gifts. You'll see more pineapples from the road as you drive in and save at least $18pp

The Dole Plantation is an absolute must-visit while on Oahu! From the moment you arrive, you’re greeted with vibrant scenery, friendly staff, and the sweet aroma of fresh pineapples. It’s the perfect mix of fun, education, and relaxation for visitors of all ages. The Pineapple Express Train Tour is a highlight — a scenic and informative ride through the plantation that shares the history of Dole and Hawaii’s pineapple legacy. The Garden Maze is another great experience — fun for families, couples, or anyone looking for a little adventure. And of course, you can’t leave without trying the world-famous Dole Whip — it’s as refreshing as it gets! The gift shop is also full of unique local treats and souvenirs that make great take-home memories. Everything here feels laid-back and welcoming, surrounded by lush tropical beauty and a touch of Hawaiian charm. Whether you’re stopping by for a quick treat or spending a few hours exploring, the Dole Plantation delivers a truly memorable island experience. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Oahu — it’s a sweet slice of paradise! 🍍🌺

10/23/2025 I went on a Thursday a.k.a. a weekday so it was not that crowded, so this is my review. There was no wait to get in, but I’m not sure if that’s because of the weekday or it’s just because it doesn’t have a wait. I really liked the gift shop and all its cute accessories. The pineapple covered macadamia nuts were good, but I feel like they were a little expensive. The pineapple flavored ice cream was also great tasting, you should definitely try it out. Overall, I recommend coming here to try it out if you don’t have anything else to do.

Must visit when you are on your way to Northshore or Pearl harbor. We ordered burger which was okay, self ordering system is quick and easy. Line moves quickly. Must try their pineapple ice cream, out of this world. We bought some Lychee gummy and Li Hing pineapple, got home and tried them, too sweet for our taste. Bought few Keith's macadamia and pineapple cookies too. They tasted soo good, they were pricey. We did not have time to get on the pineapple express. But it looked fun.

This place grows pineapples, longan, other fruits like avocado, lemon, lime, mountain apple, noni, heliconia, red tea leaf, coffee, plumeria, mango, rambutan, breadfruit, jack fruit, etc …they also use solar power. They have a garden and a maze also. The trolley tour is 25 min and $15 per adult. The soft serve and pineapples were amazing! It was such a sweet and refreshing dessert that I would love to have daily. The pineapple from Dole in Hawaii is amazing. Free parking. A bit touristy but the pineapple whip is amazing!

This place is very tourist friendly. Everything but the gift shop you have to pay for. They have a nice botanical garden you can play to walk through. I did take the train ride through the plantation which had a nice narrative but I couldn't hear it because of the foreign speaking people in front of me. It was very nice because they had all the various fruit trees labeled. They do sell a very good and large pineapple some serve Sunday with pineapple on it. I did find this ice cream vert refreshing. The gift studd had a lot in it but nothing that You couldn't fined on the other islands. The restroom facility was clean and well kept. They also had a maze you coul pay to find your way out off. Plenty of parking.

We visited Dole Plantation today as part of our Grand Tour Around the Island, and it was a great experience! It’s a fun place to explore and learn about the history of the island’s pineapple industry while enjoying the beautiful gardens. The Pineapple Garden Maze is a must-try, and the food here was delicious — especially the local dishes and, of course, the fresh pineapple treats! Definitely worth the stop if you’re touring Oahu a perfect mix of history, nature, and flavor. 🍍

Embark on the Oahu Circle Island Snorkel Tour, a popular Honolulu snorkeling cruise that offers the chance to swim alongside dolphins and green sea turtles. The tour begins with a traditional Hawaiian ceremony for a safe journey. With knowledgeable and personable guides, such as Uncle Tony, John Jr., Aka, and Tim, visitors are treated to an immersive experience filled with island history, local insights, Polynesian culture knowledge, and even some Hawaiian language lessons.
With my first trip to Hawaii,y wife decided to book a tour of Honolulu Island that culminated in taking a trip to the Dole Plantation. Our driver Tim was very friendly, funny and informative with information about the island and the sites we saw. In total we saw and experienced over 20 different sites along our route to the North Shore. Along the way we say homes owned by Jackie Chan, President Barack Obama, Keanu Reeves and Dwayne Johnson to name a few. We visited several beaches, stopped and got some awethentic Hawaiian food and even visited a Macadamian nut farm, which was a big step for me as I am allergic to all things tree nuts. All in all it was a fun experience and I would definitely do it again with Tim as my driver. Can't wait to become a regular visited to this mighty island and experience more that it has to offer.

*4.5 star 🌟 rating: highly recommend! A lovely 10-12 hour day touring around the island with Jeremy (local tour guide) who knows the island well! Lots of info, history, culture, food stops to explore. Uncle Victor was our bus driver & he makes you feel safe & welcomed. They provide drinks & snacks along the way. The stops are well planned & my favorites were the temple 🕍 & snorkeling with the green sea turtles 🐢 the only reason my review was not a full 5 stars was the A/C on the bus broke on our way back (2 hours) & it felt like a hot box. But everything else was great & Jeremy gives you a big hug at end of tour when you disembark from the bus 🚌 bring cash 💸 as you will need it! Thank you Jeremy & Victor 🌺

Yesterday. Wonderful experience. Saw so much beauty of the island. Every point of interest in tour description was great. John Jr. was an awesome tour guide. Very knowledgeable of island history and quirky tidbits of local information. He even spoke Pidgin for us. And he had great humor- he kept us laughing. And he played the ukulele and sang for us. He is very talented. He closed with one Izzy's most mainland popular songs- it was beautiful. We definitely recommend this tour!

We went on the Island tour last week and we loved it! Cousin John Jr. was the best tour guide! Loved his ukulele playing and singing! Our 8 old year daughter enjoyed it too. She especially liked the snorkeling with the turtles! Highly recommend!

My family and I had the pleasure of touring with John Jr on the Aloha Island Circle Tour. He provided history of the island, taught us some of the language, stopped numerous times for sight seeing, food, turtle snorkeling and shopping. John Jr cracked a bunch of jokes and even gave us a little Hawaiian tune. Overall, it was a great experience and I'm glad this is how we started our vacation because we were able to get around the island with ease for the remaining trip. I would definitely recommend this tour!

“Cousin” John Jr. was a fabulous tour guide!!! He provided so much cool information and awesome entertainment (he has an amazing voice)!!! The donuts were amazing at the first stop and lunch at Fumi’s was wonderful!! I highly recommend requesting John Jr. as a guide!! We were a family of four with 2 teenagers who had a wonderful time and were even able to swim with the sea turtles!

We had a wonderful time on the tour. Johnny was our guide and he was very knowledgeable about the island and it’s history. The stops were pretty short, but we anticipated that and took notes of our favorites to revisit the next day when we had a rental car. I would recommend this tour as an intro to some of the best spots on the island.

Pearl Harbor National Memorial is a significant site that commemorates the 1941 Pearl Harbor attack. It includes the USS Arizona Memorial, a museum, and galleries. Managed by the National Park Service, it consists of five distinct destinations. The memorial not only tells the story of the devastating Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor but also covers other historical events such as wartime internment of Japanese Americans and World War II battles.
Rich in history, and gives you a strong sense of what the bombing of Pearl Harbor was like. Enjoyed the boat ride to see the Arizona. The movie at the theater was informative. Highly recommend getting the audio since it goes into more details. The staff were helpful and informative. Remember to bring a clear back pack otherwise, you will have to put your purse and backpack into a storage area. Bring a refillable water bottle to stay hydrated. Just snacks to purchase at the store.

We were there when there was two construction so it was not possible to get advanced tickets. We were able to get there early in the morning and get on the waiting list. Then I'm already outside is very moving. The memorial itself is actually US Navy property and the personnel are very military and expect respect and reverence. The historical visitor center information was interesting. We didn't pay for the guided out of your tour but didn't feel it we were missing anything. There are two other museums that are attached for an additional charge but the national park itself is free. We found the park rangers here to be exceptional and very well versed in their subject matter.

Hard not to tear up out here. So many families changed instantly. Eternal respect for all those who serve with honor. Heaven forbid those have to pay the same sacrifice! Word to the wise- don't see anywhere listed that the last boat out to the USS Arizona Memorial is at 330 pm (1530 hrs), though the Park is open until 5 pm. (1700 hrs) The Bowfin is quite an experience to walk through..These guys we're tasked with one of the ultimate risks of a wartime environment. Getting thru the bulkhead doors was something at 65 w two total hips....they ran through them when needed elsewhere in the Sub. Truly astounding. The museum for the submarine service is remarkable. Lots to learn there. Too much to see in one or two visits....we need to return. Reckon this place is a huge linchpin in United States history. Gettysburg, Lexington, and Pearl Harbor; all US citizens should be able to recite their importance in US history. Can I? Not completely, and it's shameful. Sure I learned some in 4th grade, and on. But these events are what our freedoms are founded on; what gave us and the world notice of our ability and intent following those events. We should all know them better.

If you’re planning a trip to Oahu, visiting the Pearl Harbor National Memorial is an absolute must. It’s one of those places that really makes history come alive, and best of all, entry is completely free. The memorial is beautifully maintained, and the exhibits do an incredible job of telling the story of Pearl Harbor and the events of World War II. It’s a powerful, moving experience that gives you a deeper appreciation for the sacrifices made by so many. A few tips to make your visit smoother: if you’re driving, pay for parking because spots fill up fast, especially in the mornings. Speaking of mornings, I highly recommend arriving early—the lines for the USS Arizona Memorial ferry can get long. The ferry itself is free, and it’s a serene, respectful way to pay your respects at the Arizona. One important note: no bags are allowed on the ferry, so plan to leave them at home or securely in your car. Take your time walking through the exhibits and reading the plaques—there’s a lot of history packed into the memorial, and it’s really worth absorbing. Whether you’re a history buff or just curious about one of the most significant moments in American history, this visit is both educational and moving. Overall, the Pearl Harbor National Memorial is an unforgettable experience. It’s well-organized, meaningful, and a must-see if you’re on Oahu. Don’t miss it!

A Truly Humbling Experience, But Plan for the Costs This is an incredibly humbling and powerful place to visit. Standing there and reflecting on the history is a profound experience that every American should have. The main memorial itself is incredibly well done, respectful, and moving. My only real issue is how the pricing is structured. It's a bit messed up that you have to pay so much to see all the historic sites. It doesn't make sense why the main memorial is covered, but seeing everything else like the battleship and the other museums are pay to see. I think it was close to a hundred bucks a person to see everything, which feels unreasonable. Outside of the sticker shock for the full tour, the experience itself is absolutely not bad at all. It's a five-star piece of history, without a doubt. Just be prepared for the extra costs if you want to see more than the main memorial.

This is a large memorial that has various sections spread across the area, and involves a lot of walking. There are several attractions on site, all ticketed separately, or can be combined with one single passport pass. The only free attraction is the Arizona Memorial, for which you actually get on a free 5 minute boat ride, and get to spend 15 minutes at the site. The rest include various plaques, sculptures, memorial boards etc. All ticketing and experience details are listed and priced on the official website. Would highly recommend wearing easy to walk shoes, and bring a hat as most attractions are open air and it’s hot when sunny. There are restrooms located across various points. There is a gift shop and book store at the exit of the memorial. The virtual reality tours are really nice and very decently priced.
Avais S — Google review
A once in a lifetime experience. All that you read about visiting it is confusing. Go and just enjoy the Memorial and gain your own memories. The movie is a MUST see. The trip to the Arizona is a nice boat ride. You only need about 15 minutes on the Arizona Memorial its self. Enjoy the park wander and explore what is interesting to you. Take in what you can and don't feel like you have to do it all. If you have never been on a battleship or submarine experience it here otherwise there is plenty to explore. Nice gift shop lots of unique its specific to Pearl Harbor. I did a self guided tour was there for 3 hour and was happy with my visit. They sell snacks and drinks. Have adequate restrooms. DO NOTE WHAT TYPE OF BAG YOU TRY TO BRING IN. I had a clear see through bag with water and snacks and had no problem.
Shannon L — Google review
It’s definitely worth spending a few hours here remembering those who fell in WWII. The memorial comprises of 4 main “attractions”: the USS Arizona, USS Missouri, the US Bowfin Submarine and the Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum. The USS Arizona is by far the most popular and iconic and this one is free but there are options to buy tickets so you don’t have to wait in line either through a private company like Viator or the government sponsored site recreation.gov. Cheaper to use recreation.gov but tickets are first come first served. If you missed reserving tickets for the Arizona, you can try your luck waiting as a stand by. It’s hit or miss but you have to go early (preferably arrive to line up before 7am). The other 3 sites you can either buy a combined passport or do a la cart. They have done a remarkable job preserving the history in a respectful way. Lots to see, not much by way of food on site or nearby. Public restrooms available. One thing to remember, no purses or bags are allowed unless they are see through.

The Polynesian Cultural Center is a vibrant showcase of Pacific island cultures, offering immersive experiences such as luaus, live shows, and cultural tours. Located in Haleiwa town on the north shore of Oahu, it's conveniently situated near popular attractions like Matsumoto Shave Ice and Dole Plantation.
I highly recommend the super ambassador tour. It is well worth the extra money and you get a wonderful experience. The entire area is wonderful as you move through the different islands and learn about each individual culture. The dinner is amazing with wonderful food and a great treat drink. After dinner you get an absolutely fantastic show. I don't want to go into too much detail as to not spoil anything. I just want to say again the whole experience is fantastic and I will be back. One piece of advice, it is doable in a single day but you get multiple days with your ticket. I would recommend at least 2 if not 3 days too be able to see everything this amazing place has to offer.

One of the best places to visit on the island. I ended up upgrading to the Super Ambassador package and it was a phenomenal experience. I traveled solo and had my own personal tour guide who tailored the entire day to my interests. And you get the best seats for all the shows! There is so much to learn about the different Polynesian cultures and it is more than just walking around and reading information placards. The entire center is immersive and interactive. The buffet dinner was excellent! Wide variety of food options and a nice show to watch while eating. The Ha show was amazing.

I had an amazing experience at the Polynesian Cultural Center! I visited all six islands, and joined in most the of activities from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. — it was such a full and unforgettable day. The energy and warmth from everyone were incredible, especially during the welcoming dances. I even got to join in and dance with them — so much fun! A special thank-you to my private tour guide, Jasmine (from Philippines), who was absolutely wonderful — knowledgeable, friendly, and perfectly organized. She made sure we stayed on schedule and didn’t miss a thing. Each island had its own unique charm, and I loved learning about the traditions, music, and culture of each one. The buffet dinner was delicious with plenty of great options, and the live music and dance performances during dinner made it even more special. The “Ha: Breath of Life” evening show was absolutely amazing — a breathtaking performance that shared Polynesian history and island culture through music, dance, and storytelling. I highly recommend booking the Super Ambassador Package — it’s super worth it! You get a private guide, priority seating, and a much more personal experience. This was truly one of the best things I did in Oahu.

Amazing experience for our family. We loved experiencing each village/island and learning more about each culture. I wish we had more time. I recommend getting there early to ensure you can check everything out. We got the package with the gateway buffet. The buffet food wasn't amazing. Next time we come, we'll do the luau and get a tour guide. We found ourselves figuring out where to go next which made it hard catch all of the shows. The breath of life show is amazing and an excellent way to end the night. Very impressed with the quality of the show and the story told. We'll definitely come back next time we go to Oahu.

We had such an amazing time at the Polynesian Cultural Centre. At first, we debated on which package to purchase but ended up with the Super Ambassador Package, and it was such a great choice! It started off with a tour of the Polynesian islands, and Roslyn, our guide, was fantastic! So informative and allowing us to experience each of the sites that were key for us. Getting to learn about the history of each island was really insightful! It was really sad to leave Roslyn, but thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and being with us during the time! We then went to watch the Aliʻi Lūʻau buffet and learned the story of the Queen. James, our server, was so polite and kind with us! Thank you for making us feel welcome! The food was amazing, and seeing the imu was such an experience! The Lūʻau performance as well was just wonderful to watch. We ended the night with the HĀ: Breath of Life show, and I can see why photos and videos aren’t allowed during the show. The story and entire show were simply breathtaking to see. Everyone apart of the show did an amazing job! Overall, this was a wonderful way to learn about Polynesia and get to know the history and culture of each island. Having a private guide and reserved seating really does make a difference, and it was a wonderful way to enjoy the cultural centre. Thank you so much to everyone there!

I was hesitant at first because just a self guided tour was $100, but it was so worth it! It’s so fascinating and so educational. There’s so much to learn and even when a demonstration isn’t going on, there are people teaching small group lessons and happy to explain about the displays. I wholeheartedly recommend this place.

The Polynesian Cultural Center (PCC) was an unforgettable experience. Everyone I knew who had visited Hawai'i’ recommended it as a must-do. If you plan to visit PCC, prepare to spend a full day there. We arrived around 12 P.M. and left around 8:45 P.M. We started our day with a meal in the marketplace before embarking on a guided tour of the six island villages: Tonga, Tahiiti, Samoa, Fiji, Aotearoa, and Hawai’i. Each village had its own island presentation and hands-on activities. The village of Aotearoa was our favorite, with its captivating presentation and interactive games. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour and our tour guide, but we regretted that we didn’t have time to visit all of the villages. After our tour, we attended a Lū’au. Upon entering, we were greeted with a complimentary flower lei and piña colada, which included a souvenir straw to keep. The piña colada was so delicious and refreshing. The Lū’au featured live entertainment and a delicious traditional Hawaiian meal. The Polynesian buffet had an extensive menu, but we found the food a bit too salty for our taste. After the Lū’au, we headed to the Pacific Theater to experience the Hā: Breath of Life show, which showcased the six island villages through the saga of birth and death, love and family, tragedy and triumph. The show beautifully concluded our day. With our pass, we had the opportunity to visit the PCC three more days, but unfortunately, we couldn’t take advantage of it due to other planned activities. If you’re visiting, make sure to add this experience to your itinerary! It’s an incredible opportunity to immerse yourself in the Polynesian culture, and gain insight of their practices and traditions.

A Transformative Journey: Why the Polynesian Cultural Center is a Must-Do in Hawaii From the moment you step onto the grounds of the Polynesian Cultural Center (PCC), you are transported. This isn't just an attraction; it's a profound, vibrant, and genuinely heartwarming journey across six distinct Pacific island nations. If you are looking for the absolute best way to experience the diversity and spirit of Polynesia, the PCC is, without a doubt, an essential stop on Oʻahu. The sheer authenticity of the cultural villages is what sets the PCC apart. Each village—representing Hawaiʻi, Fiji, Aotearoa (New Zealand), Samoa, Tahiti, and Tonga—is a living, breathing museum. What makes the experience so genuine are the student ambassadors, primarily from Brigham Young University–Hawaiʻi, who hail directly from these islands. They share their traditions with an infectious enthusiasm and pride, turning simple demonstrations into engaging, hilarious, and educational performances. Learning the hula from a native Hawaiian or watching a Samoan guide climb a towering coconut tree had me completely captivated. My highlight: the mid-afternoon Canoe Pageant!! Costumed performers float down the lagoon, presenting dynamic dances from each island. It’s a breathtaking spectacle that beautifully summarizes the day’s journey. The chance to participate in crafts, try traditional games, and learn a few basic phrases made the experience deeply personal and interactive. Every detail, from the thatched roofs to the carved war canoes, reinforces the feeling of having genuinely traveled the Pacific. The experience culminates with the world-class evening show, “Hā: Breath of Life.” This production is an epic, visually stunning performance that uses fire, music, and incredible choreography to tell a story of love, life, and the connection to the land. It’s the perfect, unforgettable finale to a day of cultural immersion. It is an all day excursion if you want to soak in everything... or spread it out across the three days your ticket is valid. (The super ambassador package) the history, performances, shopping, food ~ nothing here was a miss. I HIGHLY recommend checking out the PCC!

Iolani Palace, located in Honolulu, is a historic 19th-century royal residence that once housed Hawaii's last monarchs. It has been restored and transformed into a museum offering tours and exhibits for visitors to explore the rich history of the Hawaiian monarchy. The palace was home to Queen Liliuokalani and King Kalakaua from 1882 to 1893 until the overthrow of the Hawaiian monarchy.
Iolani Palace is a beautiful and special place to visit in Honolulu. It’s full of history and has a peaceful atmosphere. I didn’t know much about Hawaiian royalty before, but the tour taught me a lot. It’s the only royal palace in the United States, which makes it quite unique. The building is stunning, both outside and inside. The rooms are well kept, and you can see where the kings and queens of Hawaii once lived. Everything is very elegant. From the wooden staircase to the royal dining room. You can really feel the history when you walk through the palace. I took the audio tour, which was very helpful and easy to follow. It made the experience more meaningful and helped me understand Hawaiian culture better. The staff were also friendly and helpful. They gave clear directions and made sure everything ran smoothly.

Nice to learn about the history of Hawaii and loyal family. This palace was not an actual palace that king lived in it was just one of the places he stayed when he had a guess. Sadly, the basement was closed for maintenance, so I only went two floors of the palace. No taking video inside only noncommercial camera without flash. They have self-audio tour so you can choose which room you want to go, and most people just follow the room number. Overall is not bad and kids will like it but I just feel it is kind of small compared to the ticket price.

This is a must-visit location for anyone interested in learning more about the past. Every corner is rich with historical significance, and the exhibits are thoughtfully curated to offer both educational value and engaging stories. Whether you’re a history buff or just curious, there’s so much to take in and appreciate. The staff is knowledgeable, and the atmosphere really brings the stories to life. Highly recommended for families, students, or anyone looking to connect with history in a meaningful way.

An icon of Hawaiian history and heritage. The guided audio tour was very well organized without being overwhelming. The information presented in the audio narration was concise without missing important details - there were many excerpts included from letters and diaries of the Hawaiian royals and their associates which added great atmosphere to the overall experience. The palace itself is beautiful and very well maintained. There are many spots on the palace lawns to sit and relax and take in the surroundings. There's also a massive Banyan tree behind the palace, not sure how old, but nonetheless magnificent to behold. Highly recommend visiting the Iolani Palace if you can.

If you're a history nerd and hate the whitewashing of Hawaiian history, definitely visit the Iolani Palace. We did the audio tour which I made me wish we did the docent tour just so I could ask questions. The palace is stunning, and they did an amazing job restoring it and continuing to maintain it. They do provide wheelchairs which my partner and I needed due to different foot injuries, but it's very difficult to navigate as the door frames are very small and some rooms you'll need to go a different route to enter.

Way more going on here than I ever knew. Started this trip completely ignorant of the culture of this beautiful island chain. So glad I was given the opportunity to learn something new for it gave me great perspective for the place I was calling a vacation. As a visitor to these islanders, thank you for having me and taking the time to help me see perspective. Excellent job bringing your history to life and this building is just amazing, as is it's human story!

Well worth a visit. Beautifully restored back to the times of the last kings and Queens. Good audio tour, that takes you through the various rooms at a reasonable pace (you can choose to spend more or less time in each room as you wish, you have a tour start time, but there is no end time).

Diamond Head is an iconic volcanic peak in Oahu, offering hiking trails and historical military fortifications. Visitors can enjoy dinner cruises near the crater, witnessing breathtaking sunsets over the Pacific Ocean. During winter, passengers may also spot humpback whales on their annual migration. Oahu's lush landscapes and crystal-clear waters make it a cherished destination for travelers seeking unforgettable experiences.
Very easy hike but great views when you get to the top. It has 360-views of the beaches, the city and the ocean itself. It can get crowded up there so you will have to wait for your turn to take photos. I would suggest going for an early session and try to catch the sunrise there!!
Masoud A — Google review
Did this with our 4 year old and found it to be a relatively easy hike. We went through a lot of the tracks so it felt worthwhile. It is easy to get to but I would not say the views are the best, the Makapuʻu Lighthouse trail had better outlooks, but it is still definitely worth doing. Just make sure you book early as reservations are required.
Allen S — Google review
We rolled up for the hike around 7:30 AM on a Saturday, and that was definitely the magic hour because parking was a breeze—tons of spots still open right in the crater. The hike itself is a great morning workout. It’s slightly strenuous but totally manageable. You definitely feel the incline and those famous stairs toward the end are a bit of a quad-burner, but just take your time. Once you get through the tunnel and scramble up to the lookout, the effort is instantly worth it. The payoff at the top is just insane. The panoramic view of Waikiki, the deep blue ocean, and the whole coastline is absolutely breathtaking. It’s the perfect reward for the climb. We were coming back down right as the crowds were really starting to pour in, so seriously, lock in that early-morning slot. It's the best way to start your day on O'ahu!

A moderate but rewarding hike! Make sure to bring plenty of water 💧. The hike takes about 1.5–2.5 hours, and don’t forget—you need to reserve online. The view from the top is absolutely breathtaking, totally worth the effort! 🌄⛰️

Hiked the Diamond Head Summit Trail — 1.6 miles roundtrip, 560-ft climb, and amazing views of Waikiki, Honolulu & the ocean! Trail’s paved with stairs, so wear good shoes. Go early, bring water & sunscreen. Entry $5/person or $10/vehicle. Totally worth it!

What an amazing place to go. Get your reservations early and go early in the morning because it does warm up and it will take you a while to walk it if you choose to walk the whole way to the top. It’s amazing part of history and if you’re there have encouraged you to take the time and go.

Diamond Head, known as Lēʻahi in Hawaiian, is one of Oʻahu’s most iconic landmarks and a must-visit for travelers seeking both history and breathtaking views. This volcanic tuff cone, formed over 300,000 years ago, offers a moderately challenging hike that rewards visitors with a sweeping panorama of Honolulu, Waikīkī Beach, and the deep blue Pacific Ocean. The trail is well-maintained but includes steep staircases and a few narrow tunnels, so comfortable shoes and water are essential. Along the way, interpretive signs share the crater’s geological and military history, adding depth to the experience. Photographers will find endless opportunities, from capturing the unique crater walls to sunrise or sunset vistas from the summit. Whether for the exercise, the scenery, or the sense of standing atop one of Hawaii’s most famous natural wonders, Diamond Head is an unforgettable highlight of any trip to Oʻahu. --- To get on top of Diamond Head: Start at the Diamond Head State Monument Entrance Located in Honolulu, about a 10-minute drive from Waikiki. Parking is available for a small fee, but spaces can fill up quickly, so arrive early in the morning. You can also walk or take TheBus from Waikiki if you don’t have a car. Pay the Entrance Fee There’s a modest entrance fee for hikers (separate from vehicle parking). Payment kiosks accept credit cards. Begin the Hike The trail is about 1.3 km (0.8 miles) one way, with a 171 m (560 ft) elevation gain. Expect an uneven dirt path, stairs, and narrow tunnels. Follow the Switchbacks The hike starts gently but becomes steeper as you climb. There are several switchbacks that help manage the elevation gain. Navigate the Stairs and Tunnel Near the top, you’ll face a steep staircase, a 70 m (230 ft) dimly lit tunnel, and another spiral staircase. Reach the Summit Lookout At the top, you’ll find a restored military bunker and panoramic views of Waikiki, the Pacific Ocean, and the island’s coastline. Bring water, sun protection, and a camera — there’s little shade. Descent Go back the way you came, watching your step on the steep sections.

Fun must see tourist attraction. The hike isn’t particularly difficult as it is paved the whole way but it has quite an incline and many steps at the top. If you aren’t used to hiking you may need to take a few breaks but there are some nice scenic spots along the way to do so. We had no issue making parking reservations online the same day Labor Day weekend.

The Ko Olina Center is home to various local stores offering products infused with relaxing island vibes. Visitors can explore shops like Honolua Surf Co.
We booked a private tour with Mahina Hawaii Adventures for our second day in Oahu. Wyatt was our guide for the day, he contacted us a few days prior to our tour to get a feel for what we wanted to do. We got an early start to the day, which was suggested by Wyatt to beat the traffic, great call. Our entire day at each stop we had the area to ourselves for the most part. Wyatt was super knowledgeable about the island. We started off at a waterfall, followed by an amazing view from the cliffs where they spotted some whales, I didn’t make the entire walk down but my crew said it was one of the best views of the day, they also said that Wyatt kept asking if he could come back to help me down and back, much appreciated Wyatts willingness to help in anyway to get the best experience we could. He took us to the best Poke bowl spot and Malasada truck on the island. We made our way around the east side heading north for more spectacular views and a little snorkeling. Wyatt is the best, we reached out to him several times after our tour asking about other recommendations and he didn’t hesitate to respond back. Wyatt and Mahina Hawaii Adventures is a class act, I highly..highly recommend this tour, you will not be disappointed.

The BEST day of our family trip to Hawaii was the day we spent with Ryan and Stuart of Mahina Hawaii on their custom Full Day Adventure Tour! Ryan was able to customize our day of activities to accommodate our family of 12 ranging in age from 10 to 62. We had a fabulous time snorkeling with sea turtles, cliff jumping into the ocean (some of us 😉), swimming under a waterfall and having lunch in a food truck park on North Shore. Because Ryan grew up on Oahu he knew where the best spots were for everything and how to time our activities and locations to avoid the busiest times and traffic. They picked us up from our hotel, drove us all around the island, and returned us back one happy and tired group! Best of all they provided the snorkeling gear and took amazing photos and videos both on land and underwater on their Go-Pro cameras and gave us all the footage in digital files at the end of the tour! The next time you go to Oahu you HAVE to book a tour with Mahina Hawaii!!!!

THE BEST DAY EVER! We had a full day adventure with Ryan and the entire family agrees it was the best day of the whole trip!! Tailored just for us! Made us feel right at home and got to check out some local spots that we could have never found on our own!
Etta E — Google review
Did a tour with them on our trip and it was absolutely amazing! Cliff jumping, hikes, snorkeling, waterfalls and so much more. But the best part is that our guide took us to places that not many people know about and we basically were alone in every place we went to! He even took pictures and videos on his go-pro and sent them to us on the ride home! Our tour guide was Ryan, the owner, and he customized our day to fit what we were looking for. He was amazing with our kids (even taking time to find a place that our picky eater would have something to eat) and somehow made a day that was fun for us adults and the kids. He helped us order our first poke bowl, making sure we ordered it the right way! Can’t begin to say enough good things about Ryan, but I imagine anyone that works for them is amazing. 10/10 recommend. Please do yourself a favor and book a day with them!

Our tour guide, Wyatt, planned the best day ever for us. He is the man - generous with his time and thinking ahead to avoid traffic. 10/10 experience and we will be back to do it all over again. We snorkeled, hiked mountains, ate local foods and explored spots only a local expert could take us to. Loved every second.

We had a truly ideal, full-day tour with Wyatt. We have a pre-teen and a teen, and Wyatt was very thoughtful and accommodating when designing our itinerary for the day. He offered many ideas and really had a knack for allowing the day to flow naturally and unhurried while also packing in about three days' worth of activities into one day. He took us to a great boogie-boarding spot and also a cliff-diving area (both uncrowded), and we felt very safe with him in the water. (He said he used to be a lifeguard.) Wyatt knows where the hidden gems are. He’s also a safe driver and very easy to spend the day with. Highly recommend Wyatt!

Wow is a great way to describe our two wonderful days with Vincent our guide. First day was all about going to places where I could get some great photos. We had lunch at a local place which was excellent. Afternoon was down to south end of the island for more photos. Vincent tailored the day just for us. He is very knowledgeable about about all the local history, landmarks, and best photo spots. The second day Vincent suggested we hit one his better snorkeling spots. We loved it. The three tables. Spent about 90 minutes in water. Lots of fish. Several large groups of reef fish were out for their morning breakfast. No turtle this day but great snorkeling. Next we had lunch at one of the food trucks. Great fish tacos. Not a fan of the cucumber lemonade! More photos spots and some shopping. One of the highlights was Vincent said he wanted to stop at a beach that we might see a turtle. Sure enough the was a big turtle up on the sand working on his/ her tan! Made my wife’s day! Stopped by the Dole plantation for some excellent pineapple soft serve. Can’t say how great Vincent was. Especially great was we got a tour that was adjusted to our wishes - exactly! We’ll be back next year for our 50th anniversary and will book with Mahina Hawai’i again.

Our adventure with Wyatt as our tour guide was AMAZING today. Wyatt was a fantastic guide. He was friendly, knowledgeable, made sure we felt safe with all the activities, brought us to all the places we wanted to, got great pictures and videos, and got us to a great lunch spot too! We explored caves, snorkeled and got to see a turtle. We then headed out for a hike to a waterfall and did some incredible cliff diving in a secluded area. We then headed to the North Shore for a great lunch where there were many choices. We ended our day with paddle boarding and got to see more turtles! Wyatt checked off all the boxes and made the day so enjoyable. Highly recommend!

Diamond Head Crater is a saucer-shaped 350-acre crater located in Hawaii, known for its hiking trail and military buildings. It is a significant natural, cultural, historical, and recreational resource in the state. The Division of State Parks is proposing changes to improve the visitor experience at Diamond Head State Monument. The area also features an interpretive kiosk providing information about the crater's history and resources.
First of all, parking at this location is strictly a premium. If you plan on driving definitely make reservations well in advance. As for me....I Uber it to/from the site. The adventure is hiking to the craters submit. The hike is about 1.6 miles round trip with some "very" strange twists, turns and stair climbing. Some would tell you that this is a "modest nature walk." Modest...not way. it is not an easy hike by any means. You will be sucking air (smile) But once you get to the top (and catch your breath) you won't be disappointed. The view at the top is just SPECTACULAR, REALLY. It's breath-taking just o look out at the ocean. You won't spend a lot of time at the top but when you do come down you can boast that "I did it. I climbed Diamond Head crater. "

Hiking Diamond Head in Honolulu, Hawaii offers an outstanding adventure just a 10-minute drive from Waikiki Beach. The trail spans around 2 miles, taking approximately 60 minutes to complete. Before heading out, it’s essential to secure a reservation and pay a modest fee of around $6 per person. The hike begins with a moderate ascent, gradually intensifying as you near the summit. The absence of water stations or restrooms along the way emphasizes the need to prepare adequately with hydration and restroom stops beforehand. The panoramic views from the top are truly breathtaking. As you ascend, the shimmering Pacific Ocean unfolds before you, with Waikiki Beach sprawling out below. The sight of Honolulu’s skyline against the backdrop of the ocean is nothing short of spectacular. The trail’s challenges, including steep sections and uneven terrain, add to the sense of accomplishment upon reaching the summit. It’s a rewarding experience for both novice and seasoned hikers alike. For those visiting Waikiki and seeking a memorable outdoor adventure, Diamond Head is a must-visit. The accessibility from Waikiki Beach combined with the stunning views makes it a popular choice. Just be sure to plan ahead with reservations and prepare for the hike’s physical demands to fully enjoy this iconic Hawaiian experience.

Though the hike to the top is at your own pace it is well worth the trip. The view is beautiful and breathtaking. Rest assured that it will not disappoint. The top can get really crowded but you should be able to manage a some real estate for your photo angle of choice. Parking is quite challenging and ensure to take plenty of water.

The trial to the top starts off with smooth pavement, turns into uneven/rocky pavement and then alot of stairs to get to the top. It's well worth it! Such a breathtaking view at the top. You'll be glad you hiked the 30 minute trail.

Very nice place for hiking. It gets busy on certain days. It took me and my husband 35-40 minutes getting to the top. Love taking a sip of their delicious fresh pineapple 🍍 slushy after a good hike. Would love to go there again when we go back to Hawaii.

You looking for a way to burn those calories from a night of drinking and reep the rewards of some of Hawaii's majestic scenary, well heres your place. You only need to pay for parking to get real close. If your up to the walk, parkoutside and make the walk in. I think its a 1.5 mile walk from the closest point. Dont worry if you dont make it through the long tunnels, youll see so much on the way up. Its in a bit of disarray and work needs to get done to make the trail safer to walk. If your out of shape forget it. Regardless, the finally at the end is woth the struggle to the observation post. You get to look down at Waikiki and marvel at the beautiful beaches and water. Hope this helps. Please like my review. Thank you.

Embark on an exhilarating adventure with North Shore Shark Adventures, the original and most popular shark tour in Hawaii. Since 2001, this thrilling experience has been offering cage diving tours that guarantee shark sightings, providing a unique opportunity to witness these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat. Despite the cancellation of some tours due to rough winter conditions, the team is dedicated to ensuring safety and enjoyment for all participants.
We had a great experience with North Shore Shark Adventures! Our group of about 12 (including a 4-year-old!) had an amazing time. The crew was super helpful, especially with the little one, and made sure we felt safe and comfortable. I get cold easily, so wearing a wetsuit made the whole experience much more enjoyable. The water was clear, and we could see the sharks approaching from a distance — it was both thrilling and beautiful. We brought our own cases to record underwater, and the footage turned out great. Definitely recommend this for families or anyone looking for a unique North Shore adventure!

My wife booked us this tour and I’ll admit, I was uncertain at first. Once we met the crew and witnessed their professionalism, I knew we were in good hands! Swimming with sharks in a cage was an incredible experience! The visibility was over 100’ allowing us to see the sharks come towards us. We also paid for their video service so we will be able to relive the memories for years to come. I highly recommend North Shote Shark Adventures!
Dan P — Google review
The crew was pretty awesome. I belive there were about 11 of us on the boat. It's about a two mile offshore ride out to were there are fishing traps and the sharks have learned that food is readily available when the boats arrive. The put our group of 5 in the cage first. We got about 20 mins in the cage. I think our group only saw one shark which was a bit disappointing. However after getting out of the water one member in our party for sea sick and tossed his cookies overboard. That seemed to really attract the sharks for the second group. Our captain was super understanding and helpful and overall it was not as scary as I expected it to be.

This was such a great add to my HI trip. I really wondered how much I was actually going to see until our boat stopped and you could already see shadows just under the surface of the waves 😬 Matty & Joey were super friendly, funny, and educational. I always felt super comfortable. Snorkel gear was provided to us and because there was 12 people on our boat total, the water/shark time was split into 2, which was still worth it because if you were not in the water, you got to see a lot of the sharks from above in the boat and swimming around which was very cool. The only thing I recommend is to definitely brace yourself for some rocky water which could make it difficult to balance yourself but not the end of the world. I was still able to get some really memorable footage with my waterproof phone pouch. Thanks for a great time 🤙🏼🦈

Super awesome experience! The crew were super chill and helpful and we learned alot about the sharks that were there at the cage ( Galapagos sharks) The ride out and back was really fun too, we saw pods of dolphins, flying fish, and the view looking back at the north shore was really beautiful. Felt really safe and in good hands the whole time and it definitely checked a box off my bucket list, being a shark fan since seeing Jaws when it came out when i was 10 yrs old, haha!

We came here as a part of my son’s Make a Wish trip to Hawaii. Matty and Cruz were great guides and made the experience one to remember. We saw SO many sharks and the kids felt safe through the entire experience. We will never forget our shark dive tour. I highly recommend North Shore Shark Adventures if you’re considering doing something like this. It was so much fun and was a once in a lifetime opportunity for this family from Texas!

What a fantastic experience! The crew was fabulous and made the experience great. Seeing sharks up close and personal was outstanding. You could park right at the marina for free and the little check-in stand had drinks for purchase. I’d get seasick, definitely bring something for it as several folks were sick on the boat.

From start to finish, this booze cruise with Ocean and You was pure magic! The vibes were unmatched — upbeat, carefree, and exactly what you’d hope for when sailing through Hawaii’s beautiful waters with a drink in hand. Leilani, Jandy, Jeremy, Captain Zac, DJ Trey were incredibly friendly and made everyone feel welcome from the moment we stepped on board. They kept the drinks flowing, the music bumping, and the energy high without ever feeling overwhelming. Whether you were dancing on the deck, snapping sunset selfies, or just enjoying the ocean breeze, it was the perfect mix of party and paradise. The views? Breathtaking. 10/10 — already planning to do it again!

Waimea Valley, located on the North Shore of Oahu, is a vast parkland that offers a blend of natural beauty and cultural heritage. This botanical garden spans nearly 2,000 acres and features a diverse collection of tropical plants from around the world. Visitors can explore traditional Hawaiian cultural practices and learn about Native Hawaiian history while strolling through the lush gardens. The valley is also home to a towering waterfall that cascades into a picturesque swimming hole.
A wonderful place to visit with family, friends or in a group. A lot of vegetation from all over the island. Rare birds and plants. Unfortunately the waterfall was bone dry due to lack of rain. Still nice to see the beauty what the place has to offer. Definitely a must go if you’re visiting Oahu.
Frederick C — Google review
It’s a nice place to visit. It’s all paved and the greenery is very nice. However, if you have to drive from Waikiki just to visit the valley it’s not worth the drive. Better if you combine it with other activities in the same area or maybe swim at the Waimea beach which is very nice. The swim at the falls is not always allowed. Better call ahead to verify.
Marleine E — Google review
Such an amazing place! Very fun to explore Please bring cash! There are many nice people along the trail that share with you their music or art. They are all amazing at what they do and are so talented. They only take tips in cash though.

Lots of parking, and a well groomed path make this an easy hike. Be ready to pay admission, but the fee is deflected in the conditions of the park. The path and grounds are groomed nicely, plenty of bathrooms and trash bins make for a great experience. The falls are the star for sure, and changing rooms with life vests are great for swimmers. Recommended if you have time to make the stop!
Michael L — Google review
Beautiful botanical grounds, some cultural sites, an easy paved path to the waterfall, some optional side paths with stairs to see even more of the beautiful plants. Entry to the waterfall is large uneven rocks, I recommend wearing water shoes and not for anyone with mobility issues.
Kristy J — Google review
Opening hours are 9 am to 4 pm. Closed on mondays. Price is 25$ which is totally overpriced. It is a 3 km entirely paved walk. You can pay a shuttle 10$ one way. So if you have difficulty to walk you are paying 45$… Overwise it is a 30/45 mins walk. The park is beautiful to reach the cascade. I think you can call to check the recent rain fall as the cascade flows depends on it. Some people go and see very little waterfalls. There is an overcrowded swimming area. It is a very nice place but if you are a family of 4 it is a certain budget and becomes not worth it. If you have a limited budget this is not a must. If you don’t mind paying for an hour excursion then it is pleasant but not fantastic. You can buy the tickets at the door. There is a free parking

Amazing walk through the botanical gardens and ended off with a a beautiful waterfall. Paths are easily walkable, came with my mother and younger child. We stopped in the huts and received a pin after answering some questions. Just a wonderful experience and would recommend it especially to a family. And buy the souvenir book, my daughter had fun checking off all the birds she saw, and used it throughout the rest of our trip.

Sea Life Park Hawaii, located north of Hanauma Bay in Honolulu, is a family-friendly marine mammal park and aquarium. The park offers various attractions such as penguin and sea lion shows, as well as the opportunity to swim with dolphins. Visitors can enjoy up-close encounters with a variety of sea creatures, informative talks by professional trainers, and hands-on activities. It's considered one of the top marine life and wild animal parks globally, providing educational and entertaining experiences for all family members.
Sea Life was a nice little stop — not a huge place, so you can easily see everything in just a couple of hours. It’s perfect if you’re looking for a short and fun activity. My absolute favorite part was the bird sanctuary 🦜 — such a cool experience! They hand you sticks with food, and the parrots just fly right up to you. So colorful, friendly, and it makes for the cutest photos! Overall, a fun spot to visit if you want something light and easy to do — especially if you love animals and interactive experiences. 🌊✨
Kristina S — Google review
Many of the fish appeared to be in poor health, although a little sign mentioned they were already in that condition when adopted. The park itself was quite small—we completed the entire visit in just over an hour, including approximately 20 minutes observing the dolphins, which were confined to a small pool and displaying rough behavior (perhaps theyre having fun?) Overall, the ticket price did not feel justified. Given the condition of the facility and the animals, it was difficult to feel good about supporting the business. Also, on top of the hefty ticket price, parking is $18/car
Clemen L — Google review
Came here for the first time in a long time with my family. The tickets are really expensive unless you have kama’aina discount with your Hawaii ID. I remember this was packed with sea creatures and shows. Now, everything looks run down, closed down, and majority of the marine life is cut in half. The park looked a lot bigger than I remember when I was a kid, but a lot has changed. At least they have the birds and/or sea turtle exhibits where we can still feed them. The bird food is free, but the turtle food is approximately $6 which comes with a souvenir cup that you can keep. Overall, the admission tickets is just too expensive for such a small area with sea creatures. The staff are super friendly. Lots of parking, but you have to pay approximately $9. There are gift shops, a food court area, and a playground area for kids.
K. T — Google review
I was looking forward to seeing sea turtles but I wound up loving every exhibit we went to! Check the scheduled feeding times before going if you’re interested in seeing and learning more about specific animals. There is paid parking onsite. We did the luau and the park on separate days. The luau includes food, drinks, interactive cultural activities and ends with a show celebrating all of the Pacific Islander cultures. Very fun and engaging!

We went to Sea Life Park and the Luau. When I say we LOVED them both this is no exaggeration. We fed the turtles, saw the dolphins and the sea lions acted like they were putting on a show for us. Then we came back for the Luau. It was spectacular!!! This was one of the highlights of our trip. The activities were great, the food was delicious and the show was absolutely incredible. I am so so glad we chose Sea Life Park as part of our trip.
Connie P — Google review
The eight of us arrived very late with just over an hour to spare which meant we missed most of the shows/animal feedings, making us feel rushed and sort of short changed (not the park's fault that we were late, obviously). In walks Sadie, the bird lady, whose friendliness and wisdom made the trip with while. She answered any aviary questions, concerns about the park. Her love for the birds and Eva (an old bird) is obvious. Sadie, thank you for your time, devotion to the animals and friendlessness. Thank you for making our visit amazing!
JENNIFER S — Google review
Got there an hour before they closed for the luau. We were worried it wasn't enough time to see everything, while we missed a few presentations an hour was plenty of time to see the animals. The luau was wonderful! Lots of things to do, eat and the main event was fun to watch. We were encouraged to participate which made it more fun.
Madiyeh K — Google review
I visited on a Saturday. I wasn't sure if it was open because the place was completely empty. There were few attractions for the price of the tickets. They're expensive. The food stalls are closed. You can see, huge turtles, seals, and a shark tank with fish. Birds . And dolphins

Visitors can witness the annual lei draping ceremony on his birthday and capture photographs at this iconic downtown Honolulu landmark.
Lovely artistic work of art depicting Honolulu’s King Kamehameha. Gold and black standing proudly is the king across the street from the great palace and Hawaii’s United States Customs and Courthouse. Located in the heart of the business downtown district. It’s a must stop to see the statue and surrounding landscape of native Hawaiian trees and palms.

Every June 11, during Kamehameha Day, it’s beautifully adorned with flower leis. Behind is Aliʻiōlani Hale, Hawaii Supreme Court, and across the street is ʻIolani Palace, the former royal residence. It was easy access. And a parking was available. It wasn’t very tourist we were alone.

It was so cool to see the Famous King Kamehameha statue in Honolulu! It was a little tricky to find when we tried going by memory of it's location, but once we used the map, we found it with no problem. The turn in is to a small thru parking lot. We just hopped out to quickly take some pictures, but there appeared to be lots of interesting activities to do in the area.
Kristen R — Google review
The statue depicts King Kamehameha I, renowned for uniting the Hawaiian Islands in 1810—the same Kamehameha featured in the Apple series Chief of War. The statue was modeled in Florence, Italy, and cast in bronze in France. On its way to Hawaiʻi, the ship carrying it sank near Cape Horn. Because it was insured, a replacement was ordered—the statue standing in Honolulu today. The original was later recovered from the wreck and eventually sent to Kapaʻau on the Big Island, near King Kamehameha’s birthplace.

Nuʻuanu Pali Lookout is a historic site in Oahu, Hawaii that holds great significance as the location of a major battle in 1795. Situated between the town side and the Windward side, it offers breathtaking views of the island's eastern coast, with towering Koolau Mountains and lush green valleys. The lookout provides a glimpse into the past as visitors can appreciate the engineering marvel of the highway that traverses through rugged mountains.
Great spot with a magnificent view, was there for a bit taking it all in. Everything is so beautiful in Hawaii and this lookout point gives you an glimpse of that beauty. The wind, woah the wind. Could hold you up at an angle at certain times! Very few people there had the place to ourselves basically. Made it that much more beautiful.
Gilbert G — Google review
During Hawaii trip back in 2021 The view is incredible from here. It's a short walk. It can be very windy so hold onto your hats! Parking is $7. You can purchase a ticket at the kiosk. You need to put on your license plate number to get the ticket that you place in your windshield. Lots of feral chickens around, as usual. It's a nice place to stop. Beautiful scenery and scenic drive in and out from the state park.
Alpesh P — Google review
My uncle took us to this place for some amazing views. The way the wind whips up here is pretty amazing. Definitely worth the visit and off the beaten path. It’s an easy experience for all ages and abilities.

This lookout point is a must-see and completely worth the stop. The view from the top is genuinely great. You get a massive, sweeping panoramic that captures everything: the sheer Koʻolau Mountains, the valley, the city of Honolulu in the distance, and the ocean. You can practically see everything from there. If you are driving the Pali Highway, definitely stop by.
Bruno D — Google review
Opening hours are 6 am to 6 pm. You must pay 7$ parking per car even if you stay 5 mins. The lady is there to place a fine as soon as you arrive if you don’t take the ticket. It is a great view so it is worth it
Carine — Google review
This is sooo beautiful. The drive up is beautiful. All the lush green trees and fauna. There is a parking lot once you get there, and you so have to pay. There were lots of roosters and chickens in the parking lot, which was cool. I learned they roam freely on the island. The walk up to the lookout is beautiful as well. It's super windy there so be ready to her almost blown away. I was not ready. Lol. The view up there is phenomenal. The pictures do not do it justice. I mean the greens, the browns, the blues. Just breathtaking. Take the drive to this Lookout, I promise you will NOT be disappointed.

The pivitol Battle of Nu'uanu took place here in 1795 where the forces of King Kamehameha pushed Oahu warriors off the sheer cliff to their deaths, winning his battle to unify the Hawaiian Islands. A construction crew recently found hundreds of skulls at the base of the cliff. It is great to reflect on the battle while visiting here but be prepared for unbelievable winds. The views are spectacular!
Dan T — Google review
There's paid parking here. I think it was $7. Not sure how they check it though. The view was great. It was a bit windy though, causing the view to even greater when some skirts blew up in the wind. Marilyn Monroe style.

Dolphins and You offers a unique experience for visitors to swim among dolphin pods and sea life off the coast of Oahu. The tour begins at Waianea Boat Harbor with a native E Hoi Mai Ceremony. Suitable for kids aged 2 and up, guests can use an inflatable slide from the boat to swim alongside dolphins. The excursion also includes a visit to Kualoa Ranch, known for its Jurassic Park connections.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had an amazing experience with Dolphins and their fantastic captain and crew! From the moment we set sail, the staff made us feel welcome and comfortable. We were lucky enough to see an abundance of marine life, including dolphins, colorful fish, and even some turtles! The crew's kindness and down-to-earth attitude made the day even more enjoyable. It felt like we were out on the water with friends rather than a tour group. We also opted for the picture package, and it was totally worth it! The photos captured the magic of the day perfectly. Thank you for providing such a memorable day filled with laughter and adventure! I can't recommend this experience enough! 🌺

My mom and I had an incredible experience at Dolphin and you! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed with true “ohana” vibes that made us feel right at home. The instructors were fantastic — professional, friendly, and made sure we felt completely safe the entire time. Snorkeling was fun, and having Lauren as our photographer was such a treat — she captured beautiful memories that we’ll cherish forever. Also shout out to Cerene - amazing dancer and extremely helpful! 10000% recommend

The experience was amazing! 100% recommend. My 4 year old daughter and I joined a couple friends on the tour and the crew were extremely friendly, caring, helpful! My daughter had an absolute blast with everyone, playing with Captain Jerry, talking to our tour guide, Cyre. Tyler showed her where the turtle was when snorkeling. She meant a lot of the time on the bow of the boat just staring out in the ocean. We saw so many dolphins and also got lucky with a monk seal at the end of the tour. This was definitely a core memory for both of us! Mahalo

It was a 100% great and fun experience. From the bus driver (Mahea) she was very welcoming and got us there and back safely. To our photographer (Tyler) he was very easy going and super friendly! The captain was great and funny (Captain Jerry) He immerses you in the boat experience. (Ben) was very knowledgeable and was a jokester. (Silas) helped me come back to the boat on my paddle board when the waves took me out a bit out of my comfort zone. I never been on a paddle board before(Kainoa) helped me feel 100% comfortable. (Faavae) was the only girl aboard but she was amazing!!!! Overall would give 5/5!!!

Every single crew member was so nice. Aya and Lauren were very fun to spend an afternoon with. Slide was awesome. We saw 2 pods of dolphins and green turtles ❤️

We booked the Dolphin and me tour, and I'm so glad we did. They picked us up right on time. The tour guides were friendly, informative, and fun. Lauren went above and beyond to make us all feel comfortable. We saw many dolphins and then lots of fish while snorkeling. They even had a slide for those who wanted to slide onto the ocean. We even got to Kayak!! The captain was awesome, and gave my daughter a first class experience. They gave us a Luau performance towards the end of the trip. Overall, I would rate this tour a 10/10. Book this tour, you will not regret it. Mahalo.

Had THE best time today! Captain Dani and the whole crew were amazing. Took my 8 year old son. Thanks to Xy and Brandon for being so engaging with him. Made his (and my) whole day. Snorkeling and water sliding straight into the ocean, up close spinner dolphins and a rare sighting of 'falsie killer whales', with a grand finale of hula on the deck. Can't wait to see the photos photog Lauren sends us. Mahalo nui loa for making us feel like Ohana.

This was our family’s second time booking with Dolphins and You, and we will absolutely do it again a third time when we’re back! The tour begins with a peaceful sail out to sea in search of dolphins — and this time, we were lucky enough to see so many! I was beyond ecstatic. On our first tour, we didn’t spot any dolphins, but even then, the experience was amazing. The crew always gives their all to find them, and just being out on the water is incredible in itself. But this time, seeing them up close truly made it magical. Once we reached our snorkeling spot, we saw tons of fish, and one of our lively guides, Lauren (selfie attached!), even dove about 30 feet down to bring up a sea star for us to see and touch — such a cool moment! Another standout was Brandon, who was the life of the party. He kept the energy high, made sure everyone was having fun, and ended the day by performing three beautiful hula dances (one of which we begged him to do because we didn’t want the fun to end!). Ben and the rest of the crew were also phenomenal — always checking in, keeping us safe, and making sure everyone felt comfortable at sea. My mother-in-law, who’s 58 and doesn’t swim, was hesitant to go at first. But the crew made her feel so secure that she actually got into the ocean for a bit — something we never thought would happen! That memory alone made the entire trip priceless. Thank you, Dolphins and You, for another unforgettable, joy-filled experience. If you’re on the fence about booking this excursion — take this as your sign to do it. You won’t regret it!

Experience the vibrant and interactive Ka Moana Luau, a unique oceanfront dinner theater located at the Aloha Tower Marketplace in Waikiki. This 3-hour Polynesian extravaganza offers pick-up and drop-off services from select hotels, transporting you to a cultural paradise. Participate in activities such as coconut tree climbing demonstrations, lei making, hula lessons, ukulele playing, fire making, and headband weaving before the show begins.
I was very skeptical of coming to this luau, but it actually was pretty amazing. The performers were great and the use of technology and live instruments made it awesome! The food was great quality and they let you get as much as you want. The event was very relaxed, and the property is extremely nice and high-quality. Much better than the previous luau I have gone to and I recommend anyone visiting to attend!

The luau was such a great experience. The food was fresh and flavorful, from the smoky kalua pork and tender teriyaki chicken to the noodles, veggies, and the creamy taro cheesecake for dessert. And I probably ate my weight in fresh, delicious dragon fruit. The cocktails were just as good as they looked, colorful, tropical, and topped with orchids and fruit. Valet parking was quick and easy. On top of all that, the staff were friendly and the whole night had a fun, relaxed vibe. Definitely a memorable experience and one I’d recommend.

The good: the location was great. The service and show were excellent! We were laughing and amazed the whole night. The not so great: the food appeared to be catered by the Chart House. It was okay. It was not bad by any means, but this would be the only area of improvement I could see. Otherwise, I 100% would recommend this Luau to anyone.

So we read plenty of reviews and research several different luaus in the area, this was the best choice, not over price and the service, food and entertainment was excellent. We had the splash premier seating, which we thought it was great! We had a good view of the performance. We had to go get in line for the buffet, but I think it was better than having them serve you because we got to pick what we wanted and how much wanted. The performance: was fun and entretening. They showed different dances from different Polynesian islands it was a beautiful cultural experience. I highly recommend this luau ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Paradise Cove Luau is a seaside luau located at Ko Olina Resort on Oahu's leeward coast. It offers a traditional Hawaiian experience with a buffet of Hawaiian fare and drinks, along with a captivating show featuring hula and fire dancers. The venue was once a retreat for royalty and now attracts visitors interested in fishing, surfing, snorkeling, and scuba diving.
My family and I had an incredible time here. Everything was so amazing; the land and views, the staff, the activities, the food, the performances. You can’t even begin to imagine how delicious the pork is. My husband stanned the man who danced with fire, we ended up seeing him on the way out where my husband approached him to tell him how great he thought he was 🤣he was so nice and talked to us for a bit. We would come back again and again if we could, we loved all our handsome and lovely cousins 🥰

Stunning location! Friendly employees. Gift shop sucks. The pork tasted good but was greasy. The dancers were talented but look like they are from the 1980's. Photos are not included in the price. A fun experience overall.
Christine R — Google review
This is my first and probably last luau. Although the location is stellar and you're surrounded by lush beautiful greenery with a great view of the sunset, I was a little disappointed with the food. The food was mediocre at best. The chicken was a little overcooked. The pulled pork was okay. The fried fish was the best protein. The desserts disappeared pretty quickly. There were some preshow activities like throwing a spear and bowling. Numerous windows were open for serving adult beverages. The staff were all friendly. The show itself seems long in the wind with numerous dance routines of similar ilk. The chiefs doing their fire dances were excellent.
Larry H — Google review
The service was amazing. The activities and pre-luau festivities were super fun, very unlike other luaus I’ve been to. Loved the ceremonies, in theory. They all felt very rushed and forced. The opportunity to take pictures with the parrots was lovely. The temporary tattoos, also a great activity - however (and I do claim partial responsibility for not being more careful) they are basically just oil pastels that rub off on everything so my dress was ruined by the end of the night. They do not wash out. My biggest issue though- the food was absolutely awful. The salads were straight outta can-tom and the pork was salt-lick. I ended up eating very little of my dinner, which was disappointing for ~$150. As far as the entertainment goes, I felt like I was there to cheer on the dancers who required constant validation, as opposed to watching a cultural celebration. Three stars because the servers were amazing and the atmosphere/pregame activities were a fresh spin. If you’re looking for a traditional Hawaiian luau or a good dinner experience, continue looking elsewhere. I would not do this again.
Megan H — Google review
We just came for the Luau! We had a great evening. They had a lot of activities that were cool prior to the show! I really enjoyed the Polynesian temporary tattoos and the demonstrations! Every single staff member I encountered was kind, helpful and super nice! I have nothing but good things to say about all of them! I give it 4/5 stars just because of the food! It was good but I thought there would be more different types of Polynesian food and more options. I enjoyed the fish! I thought the desserts were lack luster!
Channing B — Google review
Paradise Cove had amazing service and incredibly talented performers! Everyone we met showed such warm hospitality and was genuine. The show itself was entertaining and beautifully done! The food was pretty bland as others have mentioned, but not a big deal as I didn’t expect much from it, so it didn’t take away from the overall experience. The biggest disappointment was that our bus arrived late due to traffic, so we missed all of the pre-show activities. Not anyone’s fault, but still a pretty big letdown since we were looking forward to them. Overall, it was a memorable evening with great service and atmosphere, just wish we’d gotten the full experience.
Caelen N — Google review
We didn't stay in the hotel but we went to the Luau and we had a great evening! The service and food was good. All you can eat. They offered drink Tickets to start as well. The show was very cool and scenery was second to none!

This is an awesome way to see a Luau, next to the water. Stunning views of the water and sunset. The show was very entertaining and informative about the people coming from different locations in the Pacific. Cousin Zeke was very nice and funny. He personally talked each one of us on the bus. Germaine's Luau, located in Kapolei, has been entertaining and feeding visitors since 1976. The experience begins with a lively bus ride from Waikiki and continues with a royal procession, an imu ceremony, and a Polynesian show featuring dances from various Pacific cultures. The secluded beach location adds to the ambiance of this traditional backyard-style luau.
Best luau ever! The pork was delicious and all you can eat! The people were super nice and the show was so amazing! I loved every minute of it! The extra tattoo and flower making activities was super fun too and the view was beautiful!

This was a good time, my 5yr old Daughter loved it! The food was pretty good, for the top level package you do get served your food for the first plate, which was nice. You are allowed to then dive into the buffet with everyone else for the all you can eat buffet. The drinks were good. The 4 stars opposed to 5 is due to some minor things like: the drinks were not as strong as I think they should be, fighting the flies landing on the food is always hard thing to deal with but it is still a thing, the food itself could use a very slight upscaling when you consider the price of the tickets per person, the price difference for the top package which gives you front row seating, a different lei, and a couple free drinks may be a little overpriced - we would surely go back if some friends come visit but not with the top level package.

Germaine's Luau: The Authentic Heart of Oahu (And a Touch of Movie Magic!) As a first-time visitor to Hawai'i, the luau experience was at the very top of my bucket list. Like many, I almost made the mistake of booking a generic hotel-based event, but thankfully, we chose Germaine’s Luau on O’ahu. I can now confidently say that this was the single best decision of our trip—it truly set the standard for an authentic island celebration and absolutely exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived, it was clear Germaine’s is far removed from the resort circuit. The setting is spectacular, offering a rustic, beautiful slice of the coastline with a genuine, welcoming atmosphere. And here’s a tip for movie lovers: you might recognize the rugged, picturesque grounds! This location was used in the filming of the Disney hit, Lilo & Stitch 2: Stitch Has a Glitch. Experiencing the spirit of aloha on a cinematic backdrop adds a layer of magic that you won't find anywhere else. The entire event, from the traditional imu ceremony (unearthing the roasted pig) to the final fire dance, felt completely immersive and genuine. The performers are brilliant, transporting you through Polynesian culture with mesmerizing dances and storytelling that left me captivated. And the food? It was a feast beyond anything I expected. Forget buffet lines; this is a traditional luau experience featuring delicious, authentic food of the islands. Everything tasted fresh and flavourful, a true testament to the quality of the feast. If logistics worry you, don't let them. Germaine's provided convenient, round-trip transportation from a spot near our hotel, making the entire evening stress-free and worth every penny. If you are looking for a true, unforgettable Hawaiian memory—not a manufactured hotel show—this is it. Book Germaine's. You'll be glad you dodged the hotel mistake, too!

Germaine’s luau is the most authentic to the Polynesian Culture. It is where the live action Lilo and Stitch was filmed here (a few scenes). It is a beautiful outdoor experience with the spirit of Aloha radiated of the beach and people. Such an incredible thing to experience.

Church
Kawaiahaʻo Church, completed in 1842, is a coral-brick church adorned with royal portraits and open for tours and worship. Situated opposite a museum on the National Register of Historic Places, this area offers a blend of old and new with its 200-year-old cemetery juxtaposed against modern high-rises.
Kawaiahaʻo Church–the national house of prayer located in Downtown Honolulu near ʻIolani Palace, Hawaiʻi. Kawaiahaʻo Church was established under Kuhina Nui (Queen-Regent) Kaʻahumanu I in the year 1820. Known as the "Westminster Abbey of the Pacific," Kawaiahaʻo Church was the first Christian Church built on Oʻahu. Dedicated on July 21, 1842, “The Great Stone Church” is made of 14,000 coral slabs from ocean reefs that were hauled from the sea by native laborers and missionaries. The church and the grounds were named a National Historic Landmark in 1962. "Kauikeaouli clock," donated by King Kamehameha III in 1850, still tolls the hours to this day. To the right of the entrance you’ll find the peaceful tomb of King Lunalilo. This popular King ruled for just a little over one year and he wished to be buried “among his people” at Kawaiahaʻo Church rather than in the Royal Mausoleum. To the left of the church you’ll also find the Kawaiahaʻo Fountain. The High Chiefess Haʻo bathed in this sacred spring, giving the church its name: Ka Wai a Haʻo, or the water of Haʻo. Kawaiahaʻo Church still serves as a center of worship for Hawaiʻi’s people, with services conducted every Sunday in Hawaiian and English. Portraits of the royal family adorn the walls of the second floor.

THE FIRST CHURCH ESTABLISHED IN THESE HAWAIIAN ISLANDS, WHICH IS STEEPED IN LOCAL HISTORY AND CULTURE. A minister who leads his congregation and preaches from the heart and with a special, unique compassion? My friends who attend Kawaiaha'o Church firmly believe so affirming these qualities in their note to me. They recenty wrote:: "We have been going to Kawaiaha’o. We really like Kahu  Ken Maukakāne, he sends us  off into the week to “ Go out and give them Heaven”. The worship is much more traditional, ...but all in all it is inspiring and most of all Ken Maukakāne speaks God’s word from the heart, and that is inspiring." Historically the Kawaiahao Church was the very first Christian church to be built in these Hawaiian islands. The church members naturally stand up for and champion many local Hawaiian issues. This magnificent church ediface is primarily built with local ocean coral blocks. It once was and still is an awe inspiring structure. The last remaining ruling queen, Queen Lilioukalani, a strong, devoted Christian and her family attended church here.

This is an interesting historical site, and there are a number of placards around the site which elaborate upon its significance.
Brennan O — Google review
Incredible historical church made of coral blocks. I finally had a chance to visit for an event. The inside in remarkably plain (which I didn't expect because after all it's a church). There is no air conditioning so beware if you're sensitive to heat or have a long event to attend. Parking is nearby along the street & can be a challenge to find. I suggest parking at the municipal lot across the street. Restrooms are in a trailer in the back of the courtyard, near the mission houses. It's worth a visit to see if you get the chance! The cemetery behind the church has been closed every time I go, but was open for the event. However, King Lunalilo's tomb was not. I wish there was more signage around to discuss the history.

Hiking area
The Diamond Head Crater Trailhead is a must-visit for anyone exploring Honolulu. This iconic hiking destination, set within an extinct volcano, offers a 1.6-mile round trip journey that leads adventurers to stunning panoramic views of both the vibrant cityscape and the vast Pacific Ocean. While the trail can be moderately challenging due to its steep stairs and narrow tunnels, every step is worth it for the breathtaking lookout points along the way.
This was a really great hike! The path itself it’s not that bad until you reach the stairs to get to the top where the lookouts are located (there’s a lot of stairs, so be prepared!). I did not realize I had been inside the volcano crater all along until I reached the top of the hiking path, which I thought it was so amazing and it was incredible to see that the crater itself it’s huge. Be aware that the hiking path does get crowded and depending on the time of the day it can also get really hot. I would recommend doing this hike early in the morning as it would be cooler and probably less crowded. The views at the top are completely worth it. Bring lots of water!!!!!! Also get your tickets in advance as you will not be allowed to hike without it. It’s was easy to get tickets and they were only $5 per person, without paying for parking as I did not have a car. I did order them 30 days prior to coming here as they go really fast!

The approach to the park is unique through a one-way traffic tunnel. The parking fee is included in the ticket and is $10 per vehicle, and entry in park is $5 per person. The trail is categorized as moderate and is more in the easier side. The trail starts off from the visitor center as a paved path, which converts into more rugged dusty trail. Still very easy to grip and walk on. At the end of the trail there are one set of stairs to go up, followed by a tunnel, and then two options are either 99 steep stair steps or a loop. The stairs end up at a spiral staircase which then leads out to vista point. There are still more steps to climb on the watch point. The round trip is probably two miles. The park has a lot of rules and restrictions. You can only buy a timed ticket in advance, and you must arrive within the first thirty minute of your timed zone or they will not allow you entry, please be careful they do turn back people. Similarly the park closes at 6 PM so they need you and your vehicle to be out of the park otherwise you will be locked in and only way out will be through a hefty fine and police involvement. The park rules are really strict and are strictly enforced so please follow the rules as listed on their website. There are public restrooms right behind the visitor center, along with two hydration stations.

This was one of the highlights of our trip to Hawaii! I loved this hike and everything about it. I brought my family, which consisted of two (2) children under 5. The walkway uphill is very kid-friendly and everyone along the trail was very supportive. There are numerous stopping points for breaks, pictures, etc. Once you reach the summit, it is very busy! There was a huge crowd when we reached the top and there was no room to move around. We got our pictures and made our way down. Some of the best pictures are along the hike. I recommend reserving a parking place in advance because when we left, there was no parking available and there was a line waiting to get in. Overall, we would do this again and this should definitely be on the to-do list for anyone!

Make sure to go online and book ahead $5. I chose the 4pm hike and definitely a great time to go as this hike is not shaded. I took the bus from Waikiki down, super easy bus ride. It’s kinda a long walk from the bus stop to the park but warms up the glutes and the views are spectacular. Once you enter you show your QR code. From top to bottom I finished in about an hour. Many lookout spots along the way and for me rest spots because I was out of breath. From the lighthouse to the endless ocean views it just never is enough. I would definitely do this again on my next visit to the islands. 🌺

Diamond Head Hike — short, iconic, and absolutely worth it. 🌋📸 If you’re in Honolulu and want that famous view — you know, the one with the full curve of Waikīkī and the ocean behind it — this is where you go. The hike itself? Not too hard. It’s about 2.5 miles round-trip (around 4 km) and takes roughly 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on your pace and how long you stop to stare at the views (which you will do a lot). You’ll climb a bit, sweat a bit, maybe curse the last staircase — but it’s nothing crazy. I saw people of all ages doing it, and everyone seemed to enjoy it. Once you reach the top? Boom: postcard view. Panoramic lookouts over Honolulu, the Pacific Ocean, the crater walls — it’s one of the most photographed spots in all of Hawai‘i, and for a reason. 📸 Bring water, wear sneakers, and don’t forget your camera (or just your phone — trust me, you’ll want pics). This is one of those hikes that gives maximum reward with reasonable effort. Definitely recommend doing it early morning or late afternoon to avoid the heat. And book your time slot in advance — it’s a popular one. — Ilya #CyborgRecommends #DiamondHeadHike #HonoluluViews #HawaiiTrails #BestViewInTown

Way too many people. Good views but the line to get to the views at the top takes a half hour. It's pretty rocky trail because basically this is a big lava rock. Pretty neat tunnels and some military lookouts and stairs. Near the top you have a choice of routes to complete the final segment: wind around or straight up via 99 stairs. My recommendation is to take the 99 stairs! It's not that bad and you will avoid a long line at the top. Plus, you will get to ascend a cool spiral staircase. Basically probably the most appealing part of this hike is to descend the spiral staircase that is part of the military installation at the top, appealing in part because there's almost nobody in there. Go at 6:00 a.m., Uber up there, and the temperature will probably be mild. Don't go in the middle of the day when it is scorching hot because there's not really much shade and the rock will radiate heat.

The hike is actually easier than you'd think. My husband and I are pretty out of shape. My husband is also 69 years old with some back and hip issues. And we still made it to the top without being completely out of breath. Just go very slow and take breaks. You also need to make reservation and they let you make reservation a month in advance. Make reservation early because all the coveted earlier times will be gone quickly. I'd recommend getting the 6am or 7am spots. We got the 8am spot and it was already starting to get really warm midway and we wished we had started earlier. Bring lots of water, we brought 32oz of water between the 2 of us and we completely finished it at the end, so bring more if you can. Go to the bathroom by the visitor center, because that will be your last chance, there's no bathroom or port-a-potty on the trail. But even if you drink a lot of water, you'll sweat them all out, so I don't think you'd even need to worry about going to the bathroom. Also no trash can along the way, so expect to pack all your trash back down with you. It can be hard work but the view at the top is completely worth it.

Great hike! We did this hike as a family on a very sunny and hot day. I definitely recommend bringing plenty of water. The trail is of medium difficulty, but with enough breaks, even beginners can enjoy it. The view from the top is absolutely wonderful — well worth the effort. Highly recommended! 👍

This was a great place to stop. Their macadamia nuts were very yummy. They had lots of neat products that were not expensive. My son liked the coffee. The staff was very nice and eager to help. It was a fun place to stop for a bit.

5 Stars – Tasty Samples, Great Gifts, and a Perfect Circle Island Tour Stop! We stopped at Tropical Farms Macadamia Nuts during our Oʻahu Circle Island Tour and were so glad we did! Parking was a little tight, but with people constantly coming and going, we found a spot quickly. First things first—try the free coffee samples! (I may have helped myself to three… totally worth it!) The coffee was rich and smooth, perfect to sip while exploring the shop. Inside, there’s plenty to see—from nut samples in tons of unique flavors to local gifts, souvenirs, and handmade items. It’s a great place to pick up something for friends or family back home. There’s also a public bathroom and a shaded area with seating, which is a nice bonus for anyone doing a full-day drive around the island. We were all very pleased with the stop, and my family ended up buying the garlic macadamia nuts—they were a hit! If you’re passing by or doing the Circle Island route, Tropical Farms is a must-visit for flavor, culture, and a little rest along the way.

Few different tiers of tickets options based on price and interest. They offer bus pick up from Waikiki for a bit additional cost. Over all very nice experience for adults and kids. Kids can play games, learn the culture, watch performance, they offer tour guides in your own language. It’s a big park, we were there from opening 12 p- 10p. U need at least 2 days to finish all activities. Ticket valid for 3 days. Parking is free. Dinner was good. The final show was well organized and unique, they kind of linked all islands into one story (no video recording allowed) I do highly recommend visiting this play in Oahu. My family enjoyed it.

Tropical Farms Macadamia Nut Outlet is an absolute must-stop when driving along Oʻahu's beautiful Windward Coast! It's much more than just a souvenir shop—it's a fun, family-friendly slice of local culture that makes for an unforgettable break. A Truly Unique Experience One of the highlights that made this stop so memorable was the chance to engage with the farm animals. Seeing the wild chickens roaming the grounds is charming, but what's really cute is being able to offer them the cracked shell casings from the nuts! The chickens eagerly gather for the treat, and it adds a wonderfully authentic, rustic feel to the visit. Get Hands-On and Snack Up! I also loved the simple, interactive pleasure of cracking open a fresh macadamia nut yourself. It gives you a great appreciation for the effort that goes into harvesting them and provides the freshest possible sample! Speaking of samples, the store is incredibly generous with its free tastings of different macadamia nut varieties. I highly recommend trying the Kona Coffee Glazed and the Maui Onion & Garlic—you'll want to buy multiple bags! They have every flavor you can imagine. The Perfect Hawaiian Souvenir Beyond the delicious nuts and coffee, Tropical Farms is a fantastic place to pick up unique gifts. For anyone who wants to take a piece of the islands home, they offer plumeria trees that are TSA cleared for mainland travel. This is a huge convenience and makes for a living, lasting souvenir of your trip! The staff is friendly, the location is beautiful, and the products are top-notch. Stop here for a true taste and feel of old Hawaiʻi!

Tropical Farms Macadamia Nuts in Kaneohe is a beloved stop for both locals and visitors seeking a genuine Hawaiian experience. Established in 1987 as a humble roadside stand, this family-owned business has grown into a charming country store nestled beneath the Koʻolau Mountains. Visitors can enjoy complimentary samples of various macadamia nut flavors—such as garlic onion, cinnamon, and caramel glazed—as well as rich Kona coffee. The interactive experience includes cracking open raw macadamia nuts and savoring fresh coconut milk, all while chickens roam the lush grounds. The park features six ziplines ranging from 600-900 feet that can be experienced as part of an aerial challenge course or separately. Did the 3 zipline course with my 8 yr old boys and 13 yo old daughter and had a blast! We arrived 30min early which gave us time to check in and get ready. Our tour guides, Kona and Larissa were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this place especially with little ones. Thank you for the awesome experience, Coral Crater!

Had an amazing experience, I had called last minute a few hours before my flight and they told me they didn't have the times I needed but after I explained it's my last day in Hawaii they squeezed me in on basically a 1 on 1 private ATV ride. We had a really good ride at our pace and they have a photo package which came out great. The tour guide was super cool and friendly. And the other staff were super friendly and nice, makes you want to stay and chat it up

On (11/1/25_11am) my Kapolei Niece and I embarked on daring sky-high extreme adventure in Kapolei Hawai’i. Upon arrival, We checked in at the lobby with our Hawai’i island ID’s. Then we were directed to wait outside under the shaded-bench area and await Jay. We got strapped in into our safety harness’s and walked out to the Tower to start our 2 hour adventure. At the tower Jay ensured us that we’d be safe using the harness-carabiner system. The setup requires at least one clip be secured at all times to the safety cables which runs the entire course. The system is secure and easy to use. Our course consisted of three-parts, which becomes progressively harder as you move through it. And over the next approximately two hours, we tittered-tottered, swung, and jumped /climbed across a series of obstacles. At the end of the course we had sore hands from gripping hard on our safety harness’s. “Lol” We just wanna say we really enjoyed the course - it was challenging and fun. Mahalo to JAY for making our adventure safe, exhilarating, and downright unforgettable! Mahalo and Aloha nui loa. Nani and Dani

Went for my bestie’s bday, she wanted to do something outdoors. We wanted something close to home and this was perfect. Our guides Katie and Kylie were awesome! If you’ve been wanting to try zip lining but are afraid this is the place for you. My friend’s first time and she was nervous but they made it super fun and got her and everyone else who was also nervous to enjoy it. If you aren’t like me and will be holding on to the zip line with two hands buy the photo package to have some memories. They took some fun shots for us.

The family had a blast cruising Oahu woods on side by sides. Our guide Chris did an excellent job of instruction and coordinating the ride. A nice, well-managed operation overall. I would definitely do it again. Also, the obstacle course looks very fun as well as the zip lines, we'll have to try them next time.

Went to Coral Crater Adventure Park today and had the most amazing experience with my best friend Kim, my Aunt Ginger, and Uncle Fred! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a warm smile and true Aloha spirit from Leilani, whose customer service was exceptional. She even convinced my aunt—who was adamant about not joining the zip line adventure—to give it a try. We had the best day ever with our incredible guides, Britt and Jason! My aunt, who’s about to turn 74 on Monday, was a bit hesitant at first, but thanks to their patience, kindness, and fun energy, she felt completely safe and comfortable. Their encouragement made this one of the most memorable experiences ever. I highly recommend this adventure to everyone—and definitely suggest requesting Britt and Jason as your guides. Words can’t express how blessed we felt to share this day with them. You’ll leave with unforgettable memories and smiles all around!!! Mahalo to the entire Coral Crater team for making this day so incredibly special!

Roberts Hawaii offers a variety of tours and shuttle services in Oahu. The Oahu: Grand Circle Island Tour is highly recommended for its comfortable bus with informative narration by the guide, Vivas. The company is known for its knowledgeable staff who are considerate and accommodating to individuals with mobility challenges. Another tour led by Uncle Fred provides insightful information about historical sites like the Battleship Missouri and USS Arizona memorial, offering a moving experience for visitors.
I highly recommend Robert’s for your Honolulu city tour and USS Arizona memorial tour. Our driver, Viva, was super friendly and highly knowledgeable about Honolulu and the USS Arizona memorial tour memorial. Viva was prompt and professional. He even recommended a fantastic restaurant, Duke’s Restaurant, in Waikiki. We got off in downtown Waikiki and did some shopping. Lots of great stores. If you’re on a tight budget, i highly recommend the ABC stores. They carry everything a budget minded tourist needs. I purchased two Hawaiian shirts there. Aloha! James W.

Harbor
Pearl Harbor is a significant historical site that commemorates the tragic attack by Japanese forces on the Pacific Fleet in 1941, drawing visitors interested in World War II and American military history. The memorial honors over 2,400 Americans who lost their lives during the assault and offers insights into this pivotal moment. While admission to Pearl Harbor Historic Sites is free, some museums on-site require fees.
Visiting Pearl Harbor was an unforgettable and humbling experience. To stand at such a historic site and see the memorials dedicated to those who lost their lives on December 7, 1941, was truly powerful. It was mind-blowing to see the evidence, exhibits, and actual remains of the ships, and to reflect on the sacrifices made by so many men and women who served. The site is well-preserved and presented with great respect, making it both educational and emotional. It’s more than just a tourist attraction it’s a chance to connect with history and honor those who gave everything. Highly recommend this to anyone visiting Hawaii. 🇺🇸

This is a very important place with great history of WW2 and we learnt a lot about the event on 7 December 1941. We visited Arizona Memorial, a very beautiful memorial. There was no presale tickets due to construction works. We went early and got our standby tickets. Waited for 3.5hours and got sms to go to the boat area. There is beautiful movie theatre and museums.

5 Stars – A Powerful and Unforgettable Experience at Pearl Harbor Visiting Pearl Harbor in Hawaii is truly an unforgettable experience and one I highly recommend to anyone coming to Oahu. When we visited, it wasn’t crowded at all, which made it easier to really take in the history and explore the entire area at a comfortable pace. Pearl Harbor is not just a single attraction—it’s a thoughtfully designed historic site with several important memorials and museums that together tell the story of one of the most significant days in American history. The USS Arizona Memorial is incredibly moving, offering a quiet, reflective space to honor those who lost their lives on December 7, 1941. The boat ride to the memorial is smooth and well organized, and the rangers provide helpful insight along the way. Nearby, the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center has excellent exhibits, artifacts, and personal stories that bring the events of that day to life. There’s also the option to visit the Battleship Missouri, where the Japanese surrender was signed, and the USS Bowfin Submarine, which gives a fascinating look into life aboard a WWII submarine. Each part of the site adds a deeper layer of understanding. Overall, Pearl Harbor is a must-see—beautifully maintained, educational, and deeply meaningful. A powerful reminder of our history and absolutely worthy of a 5-star rating.

A dream come true to be able to finally visit! We were able to get tickets at the counter. Main area and museum opens 9:30am, we arrived 10:30am on a Sunday. Everything closes at 5pm. Parking was easy to find as they are 3 small lots adjacent can host ~150 cars, paid $7 for parking with the QR code just before the entrance. Personal bags are not allowed! Bag holding/storage is available, if you insist. We purchased tickets for the USS Missouri ($40; battle ship) and Bowfin ($20; submarine). Mostly self-guided. Bring earphones if you like to use the audio guides. There were ~30 minute tour with guide free on the Missouri. Lots to see but we only had one day. 4 hours at the Missouri + 1 hour lunch + 2 hours at the Bowfin. There are charter bus les that shuttle us to the various exhibits. ~10 minute wait with large covered canopy and benches. Food “trucks” & kiosks available before each entrance (~$15/pp). My parents say it’s improved and expanded quite a bit since their visit in 2000. For history-fanatics, it could easily a 2-day visit to see everything. Of course you can feel the deep history! It’s a memorial. I greatly appreciate that it’s been kept with care and respect. Can’t wait to visit it another time.

Absolutely, staggeringly amazing. There is no way I can put into words this experience. Such mixed feelings. It feels like a tourist place, yet it's so strongly a memorial to its victims. It has been beautifully put together and managed. The museums are wonderful. We went on the Arizona boat trip. The memorial is so very moving. It was an honour to be allowed there. The Bowfin submarine is amazing. To be allowed to have full access to this submarine & understand the history behind it. Literally walking in history! The Missouri ship is staggering. Ensure you go on one of the free guided tours, highly recommended.

This experience offers access to hidden marine areas not easily reachable otherwise. Amazing experience! So informative and so neat to see the ocean floor! You ride a charter boat, which has amazing views of Honolulu and Diamond Head, before arriving at the submarine. The submarine goes around sites that Atlantis set up as fish sanctuaries on the ocean floor so there's tons of fish and wild life to see! Highly recommend!

The Atlantis Submarine tour was an excellent experience! It’s not every day that you get to ride in a real submarine, so I consider it something truly special. We saw so many colorful fish, turtles, and even sharks. While the camera doesn’t capture everything clearly, in person it’s so much better. The shipwrecks and sunken planes really surprised me, and the whole atmosphere was unforgettable. The crew was excellent—very friendly and professional. I definitely recommend it!

Such a dope experience! We saw several sharks, some eagles rays, giant trevally, and tons of butterfly fish. Good duration and felt very safe. Also comfy and plenty of space inside the sub. The massive windows make it so easy to see and enjoy the views! Totally worth the money!

what a cool adventure! I’d recommend this to anybody that watched submarine movies and wants to see some really cool underwater sites. The staff was really cool and friendly. My only complaint was there was no giant squid.
Ian S — Google review
The tour was really good. We saw some amazing marine life and the staff on the submarine were very polite and professional. I only have one complaint, the guy that took our picture when we walked over to the pier was very rude. After the tour was over, I asked him if I can see the picture package, that he had took earlier. He let me look at it for two seconds and put it away. Then I asked him, how much it costs and he looked at me and said it costs a lot in a very condescending tone insinuating I can’t afford it. He then proceeded to do the same thing to a couple behind me. Therefore due to the very rude service from the camera man I am giving it a 1 star.

This was an excellent finale to our week in Hawaii. This was an all day tour but the tour helped break it up and make the time go quickly. From the canoe show to the luau with the finale presentation with the birth of a son, death, family love and support it was an a m azong day. You got to eat the whole pig not just the shredded pork. The whole pig was on the buffet and you saw them carving the meat from the pig. If you wanted a piece of skin you asked and it was provided. The meat was so juicy it melted in your mouth and you had barbque sauce if you wanted it. There was a nice buffett with many options (brisket, fish, chicken) plenty of fresh fruit and dessert. A salad bar. We scheduled our tour through the Polynesian Culture Center and I am glad we did. We paid short of $200 and this included roundtrip transportation from our pickup point which was very close to our hotel. The staff and tour guide were very nice and intentionally asked how you were doing and if you needed anything. I highly recommend this event and would do it again if the opportunity to do so presents itself.

Bus was comfortable and the driver was informative and entertaining. There was a little mix up when the time to return to the bus was extended 20 minutes or so and we were not informed. We ended up declining the boat ride out to the memorial to get back to the bus only to find out we could have gone if we knew there was more time.

Was expensive, but well worth the money. Our tour guide Mo was absolutely amazing and packed with knowledge. The memorial was as emotional as it was beautiful. The buffet lunch was amazing as well!!

We enjoyed our day with Poly driver, sorry don’t recall his name. This very personable young man was very knowledgeable about the Missouri, Arizona, Fleet Museum, and Pearl Harbor sights. We were a fly in duo who greatly enjoyed the day trip. From the airport pickup to the drop off we were treated exceptionally. The top of the tower visit was the highlight for us. We didn’t get to the Arizona memorial due to the Gov’t shutdown and timing but still had a wonderful experience.

The Ultimate Circle Island Tours offers a comprehensive exploration of beautiful destinations with knowledgeable guides. While some passengers wished for more time at certain stops to take in the views and shop, others found the tour to be packed with enjoyable activities. Some feedback suggested that additional pickup locations could improve convenience for participants. The tour includes visits to landmarks, shops, and beaches, providing a well-rounded experience of the island's attractions.
If you want a nice full day of adventure sight seeing this is the tour for you! It's about 11 hours but alot of stops along the way! You cannot beat sitting in an air conditioned bus being told stories about hawaiian culture and folklore. The spots we stopped at were all amazing photo opportunities and the lunch at the shrimp truck could not have been a better compliment to it all! Thank you Jojo for keeping great energy, I dont know how you do it! Seng was also an amazing driver, I was able to relax without wondering if the bus ride was going to be crazy! Great experience for first time visitors to Oahu!

Paul is a fantastic tour guide and driver. We loved how passionate he was about the island, the culture, history, and his people. The tour was amazing and full of beauty. We would definitely go on the tour again on our next visit. Maholo🤙🏾💓

I had an amazing time on the tour! It took you to so many beautiful destinations and the tour guide Paul was awesome! The only thing that I was disappointed by was that there wasnt enough time to look around in shops especially for women who have to stand in long lines for the bathrooms which takes about 10 mins at times. I also think the stop at the beach was a large waste of valuable time where I wouldve enjoyed more time at landmarks and shops than visit the beach for 1 hour. I still had an amazing time !!
Amy L — Google review
Good tour for people that don’t have a car or don’t want to drive. It’s a full day tour! The only thing that I think could have been better was the beach. Turtle beach is too rocky to swim in but we did see a turtle there. Our tour guide was Heilani! He was fun, funny and knowledgeable.
Jes C — Google review
A wonderful opportunity to see the countryside, crops growing and the beautiful beaches. Enjoyed time in the ocean, stops at views, shrimp lunch, fruit stand, macadamia nut farm, pineapple plantation, and coffee growers. We had a wonderful day.
Pam W — Google review
The tour was great but our driver Johny was little bit too chatty. He was very kind and friendly. But.. We wish we could've enjoyed some piece and quiet. We were listening and participating in 9h of trivia. It was only fun for the first two hours, after that it got exhausting. I know his heart was in the right place, but not every second of the road trip needs to be filled with talk. Other than that the tour was great. The island is beautiful. We had 17 stops, all of them were fun. My personal favorite was farmer's market.
Sa N — Google review
The tour was good. Would have liked more time at some stops to take pictures and just enjoy the views a while longer. Also, would have been nice to know we had to purchase the snorkel gear ahead of time. The Shrimp Shack was a good choice for lunch, and the stop for pineapple and the macadamia nut farm was good. May want to consider several pickup locations though. We had to walk 6 blocks and another couple had to pay for parking since their hotel wasn't within walking distance for them. Overall, I enjoyed the tour though.

Embark on the enchanting Sunset Cruise Waikiki, where relaxation meets breathtaking beauty. Picture yourself gliding over tranquil waters, feeling the gentle breeze and warm sun as you journey from Waikiki to Diamond Head. This delightful cruise offers a spacious boat experience complemented by refreshing cocktails served by an incredibly friendly crew that feels more like family than staff. Guests rave about the welcoming atmosphere created by Captain Jayson and his team, including Liana and Kyle, who ensure your time is memorable with their professionalism and charm.
I had an amazing time on the Living Ocean Tours Sunset Cruise! The crew was so friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience fun and relaxed. The boat was clean, spacious, and never felt overcrowded. I loved that they provided snacks and drinks, and the BYOB option was a great bonus. The views of Waikiki, Diamond Head, and the sunset over the ocean were absolutely stunning—perfect for photos and just soaking it all in. If you’re looking for a laid-back, scenic, and memorable way to end your day in Oahu, I highly recommend this cruise. I’d definitely do it again! 🌅🚤

Beautiful sunset cruise! Views from top deck seats are amazing! Very friendly knowledgeable crew. This is much better than the over crowded catamaran cruises we saw next to us as we were leaving the dock area. You can byob (boat provides ice ) but they also sell drinks on board. Thank you to the awesome crew for a great experience!!

The boat ride was an amazing experience from start to finish! The crew was welcoming, friendly, and made sure everyone felt safe and comfortable. The ride itself was smooth and offered beautiful views along the way. Snorkeling was definitely the highlight — the water was crystal clear, and we got to see colorful fish and coral up close. Swimming off the boat was just as fun, with plenty of time to relax and enjoy the ocean. We also got to see dolphins!! Everything was well-organized, and the atmosphere was both fun and relaxing. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone looking for a mix of adventure and leisure on the water!

I’d say there will be no regrets spending time with your whole family on Living Ocean. We enjoyed the awesome crew, we felt very safe and learned about local wildlife and landmarks. The bar was available for the adults and the kids loved the comped drinks and snacks. It was a perfect sunset.

Great boat, everyone manning it was friendly and helped us take group photos. It was pretty smooth sailing the whole way, gave us great views of Waikiki and Diamond. The clouds prevented seeing the sun set on the day we went out, but the views were still incredible.

If you're looking for a unique adventure on Oahu's North Shore, the Dole Pineapple Farm Tour is an absolute must! This engaging experience dives deep into the fascinating world of pineapple cultivation, offering insights into everything from planting to harvesting. As you stroll through the lush fields, you'll also get to savor delicious local flavors and refreshing coffee tastings. The tour includes complimentary fresh juice and cut pineapple, plus a whole pineapple to take home—perfect for those who want a taste of Hawaii!
The farm/processing tour was awesome! Very educational from when/how many are planted, time it takes to grow, how they know when they are ready to be picked, and so much more knowledge. There was no line it was only $15. You get fresh juice and cut up pineapple at the as well as a whole pineapple to take with you! All the staff/employees were exceptionally kind and helpful. They were very knowledgeable and answered the many questions my father and I had about the process. Definitely preferred this over across the street. The tourist attraction across the road was not bad. However, this tour educated me, which is the point of it. Across the road is more for nicknacks and bobbles tourist stuff like that. I 100% recommend this tour to everyone that has an interest in learning what they do at the plantation.
Kevin J — Google review
THIS IS THE REAL TOUR. DO NOT BE FOOLED! The other place across the street, while it looks much bigger, is not even owned by Dole, and the “tours” are over priced kiddie train rides that are a certified tourist trap. THIS place, however, was amazing! You get to see how the pineapples are harvested, washed, sorted, and packaged. You learn how to pick a perfect pineapple in the store and at the end get a FREE pineapple! The Dole Whip at the food truck on site is also cheaper and better. They also have a coconut swirl flavor which is amazing. So in summary: ✅ owned by Dole ✅ REAL tour ✅ friendly, knowledgeable tour guides ✅ cheaper better Dole Whip Tip: click on the website in this google map entry for more info; if you google search it you get redirected to the other place

This was the most amazing little hidden gems on oahu! How i wish I visited it sooner! The staff was so friendly and kind. We stopped by on our way home from North Shore and was able to get a walk-up tour by ourselves. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable about the Royal Hawaiian pineapples and was happy to answer any questions we had regarding Doles processes. For $20 I received a lanyard, a sticker, pineapple chunks, juice, coffee, chocolate and a whole pineapple. I'll surely be taking my guests here in the future!
Nancy B — Google review
This pineapple farm is historic but the tour was a bit kitschy. You can take a picture of pineapples without going on the train tour. A lot of the farm isn’t being used anymore to grow pineapples (towards the back of the farm and has been let to lie fallow) and the overall experience seems over commercialized. Worth trying the pineapple ice cream, but whole pineapples are expensive (more than the grocery store)!
Michael Z — Google review
This is a MUST do! All of us (2 adults, 2 kids - 9 and 11 years old) LOVED it. Our guide was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and shared so much information with us. It was a full tour of the factory and a pineapple to take home. The place across the street is overpriced and touristy…this is the real deal! Make sure to stop in.
Heather M — Google review
More nostalgic visit than anything. My parents visited in 2000 and this was somewhat disappointing to them. Nonetheless, it was a good 4-hour experience for me. The grounds opens at 9:30, we arrived at 11am on a Monday. There was ample parking still available but surely it’ll fill up soon because there is only one lot for roughly 100 cars and a few buses. There’s always patrons going and coming so not a big deal. Parking is free. Upon arrival you’re greeted with an old Dole Plantation sign and old plantation landscaping in the front of the main building. Entry to this part of free. There are 2 sets of restrooms, a cafe, a coffee stand, and plethora of gift options to spend money on. Tickets kiosk is around the back, where visitors can purchase tickets for 3 excursions and exhibits: the train tour, garden and maze. All are good fun. Must try out the maze if it’s your kind of thing. The garden exhibited local landscaping here, good for picture-taking. The $39 train tour is $39 pp, a ~20 minute ride, ~45 minute wait at 11:30am. It gives a ride around the designated property to understand the history but was not worth it. It’s not guided by a live person so no interaction with any locals. Instead, we are guided by speakers that didn’t work or were not well placed. The plantation area is not well-kept, old machinery are on display but it’s sad. They’re rusted and falling apart, trees and shrubs are growing thru them. Felt like a junk yard. Weeds were everywhere and felt abandoned. Would not recommend for return traveling. There are a couple of food trucks across the main gate so local treats can be enjoyed and there is a stand that sells small pineapples for lower than prices at the grocery stores. Attached pictures of the self-guided botanical garden and the train tour.

We stopped by after seeing the signs for a tour. Unfortunately they weren’t doing tours on the day we were there. The ladies at the counter were friendly and apologetic. They shared samples of the pineapples and pineapple juice - soooo very good. Pineapples are freshly picked and a bit less than across the street.
Dawn M — Google review
We arrived and were warmly welcomed with great hospitality. Stacey, the tour guide, was extremely professional and pleasant. She guided us through the entire process — from harvesting the pineapples in the field to packaging them in boxes. It’s a fascinating tour that both adults and children will enjoy. At the end of the tour, each participant receives a pineapple, and the price of the tour is very reasonable.

Hanauma Bay is a popular snorkeling destination with a limited number of visitors allowed. To avoid the hassle, it's recommended to book a tour that includes transportation from Waikiki, snorkel gear, and takes care of the parking situation. This makes for an easy and convenient experience at Hanauma Bay.
One of a kind experience. Hanauma Bay was the first place I have ever snorkeled. Tickets quite literally sell out in minutes (or a minute and thirty seconds like our 10am entry did). If you happen to not get tickets, you are able to get walk-in tickets right away in the morning, and these can sell out as well. You will need your full party there to purchase the walk-in tickets. Be sure to interact with and ask questions to the staff as they are quite knowledgable. Inquire about their expertise. For example, we met the photographer who took the newest photos of the fish displayed at the information center. And please, do not stand on the reef.
Alexis G — Google review
A great place for our first time snorkeling! Using their website you can buy tickets two days ahead or book a tour. We got a tour that included transportation from our hotel and the snorkel gear, but we still needed to pay the $25 cash entry fee. It was a little crowded and crazy with everyone getting there right when they opened, but we got to watch the safety video and get down to the water by 8am. It was a little frustrating to be waiting in line for so many things, but it was well worth it. They have a tram that runs constantly between the top snack bar / shop and the beach. We saw a lot of different fish and really liked being there early with less people in the water. We left around 11:30, which was actually low tide so it was harder to move around with avoiding touching the reef. We’d definitely come back to snorkel here again!

Great experience for a 1st timer! Beautiful water and fun experience of the ocean wildlife. So many different kinds of fishes to see when you snorkel.

This is a wonderful beach and I think there is a lot of value in just spending time on the beach sunbathing, reading, etc. The snorkeling was average in my opinion (though i know this can vary based on time of day or season). We saw small groups of big fish though not the numerous schools or bright colored coral that other reefs are known for. I didn't go to any other reefs on Oahu so can't compare to other local snorkeling though. Overall we enjoyed our time there!

Pearl Harbor, located on the island of Oahu, is a popular destination attracting 1.8 million visitors annually. The main attraction is the hauntingly powerful Arizona Memorial, but there's much more to explore at this historic site. Visitors can tour the USS Bowfin Submarine and USS Battleship Missouri, both permanently docked in the bay. A narrated tour provides insight into the events of December 7, 1941, offering a firsthand exploration of this pivotal moment in history.
The Pearl Harbor Memorial is a sacred place where we honor those servicemen who died for our country. The boat took us out to the Memorial. The Memorial was beautifully designed.

Beautiful place. If ur stationed there get ready for the worst years of your life unfortunately. Try the fried rice omelette at the bowling alley. The leadership at the sub base is kinda suspect they like to throw kids in the brig after returning from overseas submarine deployments scared and shaken. Don't drink the water unless ur down for jet fuel. If ur job relies on the shipyard, be patient and wait for the 3rd shift bro. Amazing history and unique views of Ford Island.
Joe M — Google review
An unfriendly place to visit...the no-bag policy makes carrying water impractical while touring the Missouri, and a broken water main meant that the water fountains were not usable. Under these circumstances they should have been giving away water bottles but we still had to buy them. And because we couldn't bring a bag for our purchases we had to buy one, conveniently. Even after buying water they don't want people taking it into the museums. So are we supposed to guzzle it or throw it away? In addition to the fickleness of the Arizona tours, policies here seem designed to make things difficult for visitors.

Hanauma Bay is a popular nature preserve and marine life conservation district on Oahu. It offers a beautiful beach, opportunities to see green sea turtles and parrotfish, and excellent snorkeling. To avoid crowds and enjoy clear waters, consider arriving before 7am when entry may be free. The bay was previously harmed by human development but has been restored under new conservation procedures.
Beautiful beach with plenty of reef. Got snorkeling gear and was able to see so many varieties of fish even on a very windy day. Felt like we had a better snorkeling experience on left side of the beach. There’s a store where you can rent all the snorkeling equipment you need. Reservations highly recommended.

Beautiful nature preservation on Oahu. Amazing location for snorkeling! Extremely busy so you have book your registration spots online 2 days in advance or visit in person before 7am the day of just to have a chance at getting in! The earlier you get in, the longer you can stay as they close at 3pm. A must visit if you can get in!
Philip C — Google review
This was my first time snorkeling! Perfect place for it! You can rent or bring your own. There is so much to see undewater! The fish are unbelievable and not at all scared of you, but you have to be careful of where you step. Also, if you're coming to Hawaii for a short time & want yo bisit Maunalua Bay, make sure you visit the website at least 48 hours prior to book a reservation because it goes fast!! However it's absolutely worth seeing and the beach is gorgeous!!
Marta S — Google review
Pay USD25 for tickets to get in. We went with a 'tour' for around USD50 per pax, which included hotel pickup and snorkeling equipment included, and I also added USD10 for a life vest. We arrived the earliest at 6.45 am when the park opens, but the waters were sadly too cold and we decided to enjoy by relaxing on the beach instead. The tour ends at 11:00 More visitors came at around 10:30 when the sun was stronger and a little bit more pleasant. Recommend to come on your own (totally doable) and especially if your hotel already provides snorkelling gear and beach hotels etc for free (as ours did), so you can pick the best time and leave as you wish.

Good and safe place for snorkeling. Reservations are in place, book early and on time. There is parking fee as well. Saw beautiful fishes but not much as in Shark’s cove. There is a shop to rent out snorkel gears, price ranges from 10-20$. The depth increases as you go away from the beach so it is not random.
Shashank P — Google review
We went there last year and it was truly a heavenly experience. It was quite a struggle to reserve a spot online a couple days in advance and we went there early in the morning (7 am) and waited in a long line of cars to get in. Everyone is directed to watch an educational video about preserving the wild life in the bay and safety. You can take trolley or walk down there (which is what we did) to meet a transcendent scene down the bay. The sand, the crescent hill surrounding the bay, the tranquil emerald/blue water and the blue sky put together a surreal scene that makes you remember this as the most beautiful place on Earth! Adding in the fish you see during snorkeling makes the experience even more vivid. There isn't much shade except for a handful of palm trees. Put ample amount of coral-safe sunscreen and multiple times if you want to be there for more than two hours. We all got sunburn despite the sunscreen we put on early in the morning, which probably got washed out as we stayed in the water. The burgers and fries in the park are pretty good and reasonably priced. The staff took good care of the visitors and managed the park very well. The beach closes at 2pm but you can stroll around on the top of the bay to take in more scenes. Definitely a must-go place if you are visiting Oahu.
Ling H — Google review
The view was breathtaking. Disappointed by the amount of fish we see while snorkeling, the best place to snorkel is in Sharks Cove. You have to book to get in at 7am 2 days ahead, parking is a bit of a nightmare. The clear water makes up for it. We went in the afternoon just hours before the beach closes and it was very crowded. We managed to take a few pictures of the water without people in it and it’s just heaven on earth.
Portia K — Google review
Bought tickets to snorkel here and had a blast. They brief you on what you can and can't do before you head down so just follow the rules. You can rent gear and equipment if you want. I would highly suggest getting snorkeling gear there is so much to see in the coral reef.

The National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, also known as the Punchbowl, is a significant historic burial site located within the Punchbowl crater in Honolulu. Established in 1949, it serves as a memorial and resting place for over 53,000 individuals who have died while serving in the United States Armed Forces since World War II.
This is a well maintained, beautiful cemetery. There is a kiosk near the entrance to help find graves of loved ones. The monuments and statues are incredible. We felt honored to pay our respects to the fallen veterans and their families. We are so glad we came to visit. It's very emotional to see this cemetery.

Beautiful tribute for those who gave their lives to protect and serve. It was very serene on Suday morning with maybe 5 other people there to pay respect.

Colloquially known as "Punchbowl Cemetery", this cemetery is located in the crater of an extinct volcano. The grounds, buildings and chapel are absolutely exquisite. The views of Honolulu, Waikiki Beach and the ocean are spectacular. This is a solemn, peaceful place. Tour buses do not stop here but drive right through so it is best to take your own vehicle to get here.
Dan T — Google review
National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific Few national cemeteries can compete with the natural setting of the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific. The "Punchbowl" was formed some 75,000 to 100,000 years ago during the Honolulu period of secondary volcanic activity. Although there are various translations of the Punchbowl's Hawaiian name, "Puowaina," the most common is "Hill of Sacrifice." This translation closely relates to the history of the crater. The first known use was as an altar where Hawaiians offered human sacrifices to pagan gods and the killed violators of the many taboos. By 1947, Congress and veteran organizations decided to find a permanent burial site in Hawaii for the remains of thousands of World War II servicemen on the island of Guam awaiting permanent burial. The first interment was made Jan. 4, 1949. Eventually, over 13,000 soldiers and sailors who died during World War II would be laid to rest in the Punchbowl. On either side of the grand stairs leading to the memorial are eight courts of the missing on which are inscribed the names of the 18,095 American World War II missing from the Pacific. At the top of the stairs is a chapel flanked by galleries containing mosaic maps and descriptions of the achievements of the American armed forces in the central and south Pacific regions and in Korea. Visitation Hours: The cemetery is open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Doug H — Google review
I have mixed feelings about this place. Firstly thanks to Google Maps we walked up from downtown Honolulu on the side of a really dirty and unpaved road - luckily I saw a different route from the top and went down the other side. Now although the memorial is well maintained, there were workers cutting the grass and blasting music out even though they were right next to signs stating not to play loud music. Also, having all the traffic including tour buses driving around the memorial seems highly disrespectful. It could have been built so differently, with a car park where the visitor centre is and people walking up the little hill to the memorial. We didn't go to the monument as a service was taking place and wanted to be respectful. The views from the viewpoint were nice, but the viewpoint itself was not signposted and so we were roaming around on the road around the gravesites (there are no pavements, just a road circling through- strange. Even stranger was a sign offering drive-thru, first time I've really been reminded that I'm in the USA).

They do a great job maintaining the cemetery 24/7. Beautiful and peaceful
Carol R — Google review
My maternal grandparents are here, as are my father and, most recently, my favorite uncle, but even if I had no personal connection to the cemetery I would still find it a beautiful and peaceful place to spend time. The grounds are excellently maintained, and when they go all out, like they do on Memorial and Veterans Days, it's impossible not to be affected. I've always found the formal military funerals to be particularly moving, and the attention to detail paid by the service members who attend in their dress uniforms, the ones who perform the 21 gun salute and fold and present the flag to a surviving family member, is always impressive. Recently I've become wheelchair dependent and while it's not possible to navigate the grassy areas in my chair, everywhere else in the cemetery is easily accessed via extremely smooth asphalt and walkways.

This is a great memorial to visit. It makes you leave with a thankful and a grateful heart knowing, so many have sacrifice for our nation to be free. Freedom isn’t free. So thankful for our military service members and the families. Giving the greatest sacrifices for our nation, its citizens and allies. It in a beautiful tranquil setting and some areas have some great views that at you have to see in person.

Bishop Museum, also known as the Hawaii State Museum of Natural and Cultural History, is a must-visit destination in Oahu. Established in 1888, it honors the legacy of Princess Bernice with millions of artifacts and exhibits showcasing Hawaiian and other Pacific Island cultures. The museum's impressive building exudes old-world charm with its dark wood and wrought iron accents.
Took our 2.5 year old who loves dinosaurs to see the dinosaur exhibit. The exhibit did not disappoint. The dinosaurs were lifelike and moved/made noises. While there we also went to the Hawaii Culture center to learn more about Hawaiian culture. You could spend days in the three floors of Hawaiian culture. We also went to the science building to learn about bees, lava, and wind. It was a great educational and fun visit.

The best museum on the islands! The buildings were beautiful and full of so much history. We loved all the artifacts, interactive displays, and knowledgeable staff. It’s a great place to walk around and revel in Hawaiian history. There’s also a fun science and dinosaur centers. Don’t forget to stop by the food center to get some truly amazing coffee and food too. Worth every penny!

I recently visited the Bishop Museum and was thoroughly impressed! The exhibits on Hawaiian history and culture were fascinating, and the staff were super friendly and knowledgeable. The planetarium shows were also a upcharge, but offering a unique perspective on the stars and navigation. My only suggestion would be to allow more time to explore the separate exhibits, as they were spread out across different buildings. Overall, a fantastic experience that I'd highly recommend to anyone interested in learning about Hawaiian culture and history.
Ben C — Google review
There are Kama’aina rates for the islanders, the waistline was not long. I recommend at least two hours prior to start browsing before closing time. The Planetarium, The Hawaiian Sky Tonight, is like a collage lecture, it is not a movie like I expected, if you’d like enjoy lecture experience it’s a good idea to go. Ticket purchase up the front with admission, and don’t forget the extra ticket to drop in the basket before entering. The show room is right on your right when you enter the museum, AC is nice. Dinosaur is available this year, it’s worth going, cute dinosaurs are really active.

Cannot recommend this museum highly enough! It was fascinating to learn about the history and heritage of the Hawaiian people. The building itself and the grounds are beautiful and there are numerous fascinating artifacts, from throughout Hawaiian history. It is worth getting tickets in advance, as there is a slight discount.

The Bishop Museum is a must-visit in Honolulu for anyone interested in Hawaiian culture, history, and natural sciences. The exhibits are impressive and well presented, from ancient Hawaiian artifacts and royal family treasures to fascinating displays about Polynesian navigation and volcanoes. The planetarium shows and interactive science exhibits make it especially engaging for families and kids. The museum is spacious, beautifully designed, and offers a deep insight into the heritage of Hawaii and the Pacific. A perfect balance of education and inspiration — highly recommended!
Ernesto G — Google review
This museum is a must visit to get know the story of Hawaii. I visited the museum twice since I didn’t have enough time to see it all the first time I went. The building is beautiful and the display is extremely unique. They did a great job putting this together and keeping it in the shape it is today. I’m thankful I’m able to see it and show to our guests when they visit us on island. It is the first place I recommend them to visit. The museum also organizes dedicated events throughout the year, that are, in my opinion, extremely interesting. I try to miss out on them and take my family if we can. Also need to add that the planetarium was a surprise and would definitely recommend it.
Austin — Google review
As a local resident of Oʻahu, I was really hoping to enjoy the Bishop Museum, but unfortunately, it left me disappointed. I understand that prices get marked up for tourists, but for what’s actually offered here, the cost just doesn’t feel justified. Admission is already on the higher side, and to top it off, parking is an additional $18 — not included in the ticket price. That alone felt like a bit of a cash grab. The museum itself is made up of three main buildings, but only one of them really contains true historical artifacts. The others are mostly displays or exhibits that feel more geared toward school field trips than genuine cultural or historical exploration. For the price, I expected a much more immersive or substantial experience. This could be a quick stop if you’re visiting and have never learned about Hawaiian history before, but as someone who lives here, I found it underwhelming and overpriced. Definitely not something I’d recommend to other locals.

Bodies of Water
Waimea Bay is a renowned Pacific bay located on the North Shore, known for its pristine beach and big waves that attract high-profile surfing competitions. The bay is famous for hosting the Eddie Aikau Invitational, an exclusive big wave surfing tournament dedicated to Waimea lifeguard Eddie Aikau. This competition occurs when waves reach over thirty feet in height, making it a highly anticipated event with global viewership.
Absolutely gorgeous beach for laying on the sun and getting a nice tan and watching the waves wash ashore. The waves were pretty rough and can be challenging. The lifeguards are true professionals though and will make sure you aren’t doing anything you shouldn’t be. Get there early if you want free parking. Our friends arrived after we did and had to wait 20 minutes to get a spot.
Fernando M — Google review
Stunning North Shore spot. Clear turquoise water, fun cliff jumping, and soft sandy shore. The water is clean and the vibe is adventurous. Can get crowded so arriving early is best.
Anthony — Google review
Beautiful place to watch the surfers or nature. Absolutely beautiful place to pull off the road or into the beach parking lot and spend some time on the North Shore.
Mark M — Google review
Amazing little cove. Easiest snorkeling I could imagine. Plenty of fish. Water is shallow, deepest I found was 5ft. There can be some strong currents when waves break over the barrier rocks but otherwise very calm. Great for kids or anyone new to snorkeling.
Paul A — Google review
Great waves, great sand. Someday the surf is too high for boogie boards, but normally perfect. Has life guards. Cliff jumping if the tide is high enough- Don't try cliff jumping if you're not sure it's safe and deep enough!!! Use reef safe sunblock!
Perry N — Google review
During the summer time there are no waves and the water is so calm, you can swim out super far and see lots of fish. Good for kids 2+ years old. Bathrooms were okay. Parking get there before 9 am to get a spot. Probably my favorite beach on north shore.
Caitlin P — Google review
Very beautiful beach with cliff jumping. The water was clear and warm. Not too long to get to the beach from the parking. It was busy parking and not enough space but you could wait in your until someone left.
Hien T — Google review
Parking lot is super small and quickly fills up. Parking along the road above the beach is possible. Another solution is to park at the next beach north, then walk back using the sidewalk path (5-6min walk). If it is very crowded, then you can also park at the nearby waterfall park parking lot for $10. The rock at the south end of the beach is where people jump from. The best snorkeling is behind that rock, to the south-west.

Tantalus Lookout, situated within Puu Ualakaa State Park just outside Honolulu, offers a less strenuous yet equally fulfilling experience for visitors. The lookout provides stunning panoramic views of the Diamond Head volcano cone and the Waikiki skyline, making it an ideal spot for a leisurely picnic against the backdrop of a picturesque sunset.
This place is absolutely magical and well worth the drive! The winding switchbacks on the way up and back and filled with all sorts of beautiful trees, plants, and flowering bushes. It's well maintained and there are mirrors on tight curves so you won't hit anyone. The lookout point has plenty of parking and is clean and well maintained as well. It's such a beautiful view of a good portion of the island, and we got to sit in the mist as well. We even saw wild pigs on our way out!
Athena S — Google review
This lookout is great! Takes a while to get there though. You have to drive up some winding roads on the cliff side. But eventually you get to a small parking lot with a nice lookout! May be a bit windy/chilly, but the view is fabulous! Great place to look out at town, diamond head, the airport, sand Island, and Pearl harbor!

The finest of experiences are always the unexpected ones. This is the last minute visit before our flight back to home next morning. Sometimes the best moments come from spontaneous decisions, and this was absolutely one of them. The drive up experience was great 👍 no traffic and easy. Roads were well maintained and clean. And while at the peak, the best sunset was offered right upon arrival - unplanned but unforgettable. One of the hidden gems and it's amazing to see the city and Diamond Head from another angle. 💯♥️🫶

Tantalus Lookout – A Last-Minute Detour Worth Every Turn Our visit to Tantalus Lookout wasn’t planned—but sometimes the best moments come from spontaneous decisions, and this was definitely one of them. The drive up to the lookout is an experience in itself. It’s a narrow, winding road that snakes through lush forest and climbs steadily up the mountain. Take it slow, be cautious, and don’t worry about the cars behind you—there’s no passing, and your only concern should be your safety and the people with you. Despite the tight curves, the drive is thrilling and beautiful, with sneak peeks of the view as you ascend. When we finally reached the top and parked, the view completely took us by surprise. Stretching out in front of us was a panoramic view of Honolulu, Diamond Head, and the Pacific Ocean, all the way from the east to the west. It was quiet, peaceful, and absolutely stunning. There was plenty of parking when we arrived, and the lookout area offered space to walk around and take in the scenery. Whether you’re into photography, sunsets, or just looking for a moment of calm above the city, this spot delivers. In short: • Unplanned but unforgettable • A careful drive, but worth every curve • Incredible views from mountain to sea • A must-see gem just outside the city If you’re in Oahu and want a break from the beach crowds, Tantalus Lookout is a perfect way to rise above it all—literally.

very winding road going up so be careful especially after sunset. i also got a flat tire going up which is unfortunate. views were amazing especially at sunset. you can see mountains diamond head the ocean and the city all in one

Beautiful stop with a stunning view of Diamond Head and the Pacific Ocean. Definitely worth the drive up. The road wasn’t too complicated, though a bit tight on some hairpin turns, but a midsize vehicle made it up just fine. There’s also a nice picnic area nearby, perfect for enjoying lunch while taking in the aloha surroundings.
V N — Google review
When you want to see every shade of blue, come here. It’s stunning. I could have stayed there forever. Parking is close by, easy to get to, there’s a trail on the other side that goes up to the top of the ridge.

Wonderful, peaceful spot to visit the lookout or have a picnic. Plenty of parking in the main lot with an easy 3mins walk to the lookout or a small lot available at the lookout point. For wheelchair accessiblility at the lookout point, park at the small lookout lot. Otherwise the main lot offers wheelchair accessibility to the restrooms and the rest of the park with picnic tables and grassy shady areas. All places have fantastic views of Diamond Head.

Kahuku Farms is a family-run establishment that offers a unique farm-to-table experience. Situated on a 100-year-old family farm, the cafe and store utilize the farm's produce to create an array of delightful items such as smoothies, liliko'i jelly, and honey mango soap. Visitors can enjoy tours showcasing sustainable farming practices and indulge in mouth-watering treats like grilled banana bread and smoothie bowls made from tropical fruits grown on-site.
We took the tour and then got some food afterward. Definitely recommend the tour! Our guides were wonderful, friendly, knowledgeable, interactive, and very upbeat, which made the tour more enjoyable. We tried apple banana, cacao, papaya, chocolate, and how can I forget the li'likoi syrup and butter - definitely a fan favorite! We also got to learn about the farm, the land, the history, and the present workings of the farm. An unforgettable experience. Their produce is so amazing!

Visited Kahuku Farms on our way back from the North Shore and absolutely loved it! This place is a true farm-to-table experience with plenty of vegetarian and vegan options, which was such a pleasant surprise. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and surrounded by beautiful farm views. We tried the farm pizza and garlic bread — both were fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with love from ingredients grown right here. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area for delicious food and a wholesome, local experience.

Took our family to a fun farm tour at Kahuku Farms! My kids LOVED it and said it was the best part of our trip to Hawaii. We were able to try passion fruit, star fruit, papaya, apple banana, cacao, guava, dragon fruit, star fruit, plus chocolate, passion fruit jelly / butter / syrup. Everyone here so friendly. My mom (a senior) also really loved it. Not strenuous! So fun! Highly recommend
Christin Y — Google review
We visited Kahuku Farms on a Monday, arriving about 15 minutes after they opened at 11 AM. At that time, there were already a few people, but it still felt calm and welcoming. Inside the shop they had samples of lilikoi (passion fruit) honey, syrup, caramel, and jams—such a nice touch to start the visit. The menu offers a variety of fresh, farm-style dishes. We ordered an açai bowl (my favorite part of the meal—it was absolutely delicious), a focaccia-style bread with mozzarella and toppings, and a wrap. We also tried a lilikoi basil drink that was super refreshing under the warm sun. Overall, the food was good, though I personally felt the açai bowl stood out the most. What makes this place truly special is the atmosphere. We’ve been here for over two hours, just relaxing outside at the picnic benches. The background music is soft and Hawaiian-style, the grounds are full of trees and plants (avocado, lilikoi, noni, and more), and there are chickens and bright red-crested birds walking around, which adds to the charm. I even wandered through the farm rows—it really feels like connecting with nature. They also offer farm tours on a tractor through the fields (you can book those online), but we chose to just enjoy sitting and soaking in the environment. By early afternoon more people had arrived, but it still felt spacious and relaxing. Overall, Kahuku Farms is a place I’d definitely recommend—not just for the food, but for the whole experience of slowing down, tasting fresh local flavors, and enjoying the beauty of the North Shore. 🌿🌺

We love Kahuku Farms! This was our first time trying their açaí bowl and OMG—it’s a must-try. It’s honestly the only açaí bowl I actually enjoy. So fresh, flavorful, and unique—can’t wait for their next harvest! We always get the veggie sandwich—solid 10/10. Everything tastes incredibly fresh and thoughtfully made. From picking produce straight from their harvest to enjoying the peaceful green space while eating outdoors, the whole experience is something special. The atmosphere is relaxed, welcoming, and perfect for families. It’s amazing to see how they’re growing—Kahuku Farms is hands down the best farm-to-table spot in Hawai‘i. A North Shore gem you don’t want to miss!
Joanna L — Google review
love Kahuku Farms , the atmosphere, the food, and the people are always great. But I’ve been really disappointed with the acai bowl consistency. I live on the island and come here pretty often, and about 4 out of 5 times, my acai comes up icy and watery. You basically have to eat it within five minutes before it turns into a bowl of flavored water. It’s gotten to the point where it feels like I’m making a bet with my own money each visit, hoping I’ll get a good batch. I really wish the consistency were more reliable, especially considering the price, because everything else about this place is amazing.
Alexandra — Google review
took the farm tour -- amazing experience that think both locals & visitors will enjoy. Learn about the the history of the farm and what it means to be able to produce locally sourced produce. It requires a lot of upfront investment (some crops take over 5 years to even start producing fruit!) and sometimes the margin for profit is slim. I really liked that they had stops along the way for photos and also the chance to actually try the fruit! Not only that, but some of their other products (like the lilikoi lineup of syrup, butter, jelly, and salad dressing) along with their cacao and locally produced chocolate. Guides were so friendly and eager to answer any questions. Support our local farmers by either stopping by the cafe for a 💯 Hawaiian grown acai bowl, pick up fresh local produce, or if you have the time, take the tour!

Sandy Beach, located on the southeastern shore of Oahu near Koko Crater, is a picturesque and tranquil spot famous for its large waves that attract surfers and bodyboarders. The beach's fine yellow sand and scenic views make it a popular destination. However, the powerful rip currents and sharp drop-off in the ocean floor near the shoreline can be dangerous for inexperienced swimmers during high surf.
Love Sandy’s ! Go for sunrisw and see the magnificent colors of pink and orange and the sound of crashing waves ! We were bake to see 2 seals and brought our well behaved dog. Nice crowd friendly beach goers . Easy to locate and perfect weather . Easily access bathroom facilities too
Hillary J — Google review
This beach stretches quite a bit and gives beach goers a lot of prime spaces for sunbathing. Just keeping driving towards the north end of the beach to find parking. Beach was clean and there was a bathroom where one can change. Some shaded areas were available and the view was wonderful. The waves were a bit strong and not a good place for the young ones.
Big C — Google review
Sandy Beach was intense in the best way. Big, clear turquoise waves and strong currents made swimming feel like a full body workout but it was ridiculously fun. The water was unreal and every wave came in fast and heavy. If you’re not a great swimmer, don’t go out too far. This spot doesn’t play.
Anthony — Google review
May2025 Pristine sands with a sloping beach. There are fair warning signs that swimming 🏊‍♂️ in this beach is for strong swimmers so a degree of caution should always be taken. The rough waves though are pretty apparent.

Gorgeous! Crazy waves, we were only swimming but good to have a surfer with us to teach us how to properly dive underneath. Short shore break. Outdoor showers.

Sandy Beach is where the ocean shows its power and beauty. Known for its epic shore break, golden sand, and endless sunshine, it's a favorite for bodyboarders and thrill-seekers. Stunning views, strong waves, and nonstop energy make it a true Oʻahu classic. 🤠

3/2025 Another beautiful day in Hawaii.... 9/2024 Took a new friend to catch the sunrise. Was supposed to go to Makapuu Lighthouse trail, which is also beautiful, but this day at Sandy's happen to be breathtaking. It's a great spot to catch the sunrise, or people watch, check out the body surfing, or have a quick lunch. It's definitely good for the soul. Visitors beware, and I highly recommend not going in unless you consult the lifeguards first. 😉🤙✌️

This beach is clean and well policed and therefore also well maintained. Lifeguards always on duty and they ensure they keep telling you what's dangerous! Be careful of sneaker waves and unexpected undercurrents. A lovely choice of place for surfers

Koko Head is a stunning destination for adventure seekers and nature lovers alike. This extinct volcano features a challenging trail that leads to its summit, where hikers are rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of the island, including iconic sights like Diamond Head. The hike itself consists of 1,048 stairs that were once part of an old railway system used by the military. As you ascend, you'll encounter remnants of historical Army bunkers and can even catch fireworks on Friday nights from the peak.
Tears of joy—I did it! The views from the top were absolutely amazing. The hike is doable if you’re used to being a little active every day. But if you’re totally new to hiking and want to try this on vacation, you might want to think twice—it can be tough on weak knees. My calves and quads were sore the next day!
Sai G — Google review
Be aware of not only the elevation but keeping your balance. Lots of flies too...it can get windy and some areas there's a gap so it's dangerous. When you get to the top best feeling ever

Best to go on a weekday and make sure to go early…between 6-730am. Very steep and definitely not an easy hike. Highly recommend good walking or hiking shoes. Something with grip would help since the trail can get slippery. Gorgeous views all the way up until the very top and you feel a sense of accomplishment when you’ve mastered it.
Rhodes F — Google review
The Great Railway Sleepers Stairmaster Challenge If you ever wondered how many railway sleepers it takes to turn a peaceful walk into a full-body workout — this is your chance to find out. Rumor has it there are hundreds (possibly thousands?) of them, each one carefully designed to test your legs, lungs, and will to live. My son, full of youthful energy and optimism, conquered the climb in 16 minutes. I, on the other hand, heroically arrived 10 minutes later, pretending I was “just enjoying the view.” Along the way, we met fellow hikers employing various techniques — from the elegant “steady ascent” to the desperate “four-limb survival crawl.” No judgment here. Tip: Bring good shoes, plenty of water, and a sense of humor. This isn’t your average Sunday stroll — it’s a stairway to both heaven and sore calves. But when you reach the top, the panoramic view makes every drop of sweat totally worth it. Would I do it again? Absolutely. Would I still complain halfway up? Also absolutely. 10/10 — highly recommended for anyone who enjoys a challenge, great views, and questioning their life choices halfway through an adventure.

⛰️ Koko Head Crater Trail – Short, Savage, and Totally Worth It 🔥 This hike? Unforgettable. It may look short on paper, but don’t let the distance fool you—Koko Head will test your willpower, your legs, and your hydration strategy 😅. It’s basically a stairway to heaven made out of an old railway track... except heaven is 1,048 steep, soul-crushing steps straight up 🥵. Bring WATER—and I mean it 💧. While I was up there, a couple folks had to get airlifted out by helicopter 🚁 after realizing halfway up that this trail isn't your average Sunday stroll. But me? My ass made it to the top 💪—one step at a time, lungs burning, legs trembling, pride intact. The views from the summit? Absolutely insane. Panoramic shots of Hanauma Bay, the coastline, and a breeze that feels like it was sent by the gods just for making it. Take a moment, soak it in, and snap that victory photo—you earned it 📸. Pro tip: go early to beat the heat, wear good shoes, and stretch out afterward. Your quads will be talking to you for days. MTC

Title: Stunning Views Await at Koko Head Trail I recently hiked the Koko Head Trail after hearing numerous positive reviews, and I can confidently say that the views are indeed spectacular and well worth the effort. I recommend bringing plenty of water, as staying hydrated is crucial during the hike. While the trail may appear manageable at the start, it does become increasingly challenging as you approach the summit. Taking your time is essential, especially in the latter sections, to fully appreciate the breathtaking scenery and ensure a safe ascent. Overall, I highly recommend the Koko Head Trail for anyone seeking an exhilarating outdoor experience. The stunning panoramic views at the top make it a truly rewarding hike
Peter K — Google review
I enjoyed the views and the hike. Also saw there was a trail you can walk along the ridge that starts at the top hike is on an abandoned railroad track. at the top you see a now rusted pulley device that was used for the rail carts. super cool to see the historical artifacts here. I walked up in 25 mins; my partner did it in 20 mins. there’s dedicated (free) parking Rating: 8/10 difficulty, 9/10 scenery pictured: view of Koko Head and Hanauma Bay from Diamond Head

This hike is CHALLENGING yet SO worth it! I’d like to think we’re both very fit people. We’re college soccer referees. I lift 4-5 times per week. We run. But wow. This was tough. Way harder than we expected. My advice is to go slow. Bring water and electrolytes as there is no water available on the climb. I would avoid if raining or dark. The steps are pretty uneven and a bit dangerous at times. Some people wore hiking shoes and seemed to have an easier time, but we got by in tennis shoes. The top is amazing. There are so many different photo opportunities and lookout points. Once we made it to the top, we were so happy we completed the climb.
