Though the broth was FANTASTIC, I think I ordered the wrong thing. I got #14 with beef and was disappointed. Low quantity and quality of beef and overloaded with freezer bag veggies. My girlfriend’s chicken version had the same problems. Still glad I went to experience the broth, but I would get something else. I look forward to going back to try their vermicelli. Good service (fast as balls) and cute ambiance. As it stands, Pho Nguyen downtown is still my fave!

This place offers an amazing bowl of chicken pho. The broth is light, herbal, and incredibly flavorful. Noodles are not soggy at all and compliments the chicken perfectly. Do not miss the Vietnamese beef tartare. It's an amazing explosion of flavors with amazingly fresh thinly sliced beef.

Several Vietnamese specialties were served Tây Hồ style. The chicken and giblets salad was a standout. The Phở Gà with shredded chicken was excellent, with fresh and tender noodles. The Tây Hồ fish sautéed served with vermicelli and fresh herbs was a delight, but I opted for a milder fish sauce instead of the fermented shrimp paste.

Really good food. It's super busy but it's worth waiting. No reservations, first come first serve and the line moving quickly. 15 to 20 minutes waiting, not bad.

This place would have deserved a 4+* service , however, we got a very rude and stoned face server (tall guy wearing thick dark rim glass🙄 who does not know what customer service means ). When he brought our meals to us, he did not know his dishes, got our meals mixed up and got ticked off when we asked him the number that represented the meals we ordered lol. Thank goodness for a young server named Vu whom saved the day. Thank you Vu you’ve done a great job.

I was here 3 years ago and their quality was superb and food was so delicious and unforgettable! I would said it beated most of the Pho in Toronto 3 years ago! I will never forget the taste and quality of their food! Unfortunately three years later in 2025, I am so disappointed! It just become a regular pho, nothing special about this place anymore! The taste is different and the portion is smaller! Any pho in Toronto can match it's quality.... It's just go from a superb pho to a regular pho restaurant! I have to find a different place when I am in Montreal next time!

This was our first visit and they did not disappoint! It was a little bit tricky to find the actual entrance way to the restaurant but that only added to the charm! The decor and music of the restaurant has an interesting vibe and creates a modern yet traditional dining atmosphere at the same time. All of the servers were very friendly and attentive. The food arrived promptly and was very well prepared. Our appetizer of spicy chicken karage was light crispy and flavorful. The ramen had a tasty rich umami broth without being overpowering. It had a clean clear flavor and the noodles silky and al dente. We also ordered their special which was a spicy noodle. This was also quite delicious but heed the server's warning that even level 2 is probably a bit much for most! We enjoyed it very much and it definitely woke up our taste buds! Overall this was a very fine dining experience worthy of their high rating.

Super busy spot — definitely make a reservation if you plan to go. The ramen was actually really good (and I’m not even a big ramen fan), and the service was fast and friendly. That said, it’s pretty pricey — $38 for a bowl of ramen with no drinks and 6share is a lot. Still, worth trying at least once for the experience.

A small yet tasty place to get ramen in Montreal. A little on the pricy side but portions were generous. I highly recommend the pork tonkotsu broth over the chicken broth. Chicken karaage is a must get as a appetizer as the pieces were big and juicy. Will definitely come back again but be prepared for a wait since the restaurant is quite on the small side.

Ramen shop on the Michelin guide, the wait was long and you can only enter a virtual queue once you arrive. There is no booking system online. Let’s talk food - decent broth, tasty, full of flavour, especially the chicken one. Toppings for me were overall average, but still tasty. What was mostly wrong for me was the wait for the bowl of ramen. We received some sharer dishes quite quickly, but the ramen arrived almost after 40 minutes. Ramen is a quick dish, the bowl is generally served very quickly for many reasons.

This is clearly the best ramen restaurant in Montreal. I absolutely insist on visiting whenever I have the chance. This is the absolute jewel of the Plateau, consistently delivering delicious ramen every time. The tonkotsu broth is a must. The portions are incredibly generous and leave you full and satisfied. We are so blessed to have Yokato Yokabai. 3 Michelin starts from me.

We waited close to 50 minutes for a table for three. Since this place came highly recommended, I had high hopes, but the meal didn’t quite live up to the expectations, especially after such a long wait. The appetizers were the best part of the evening—tasty and well done. I ordered the special miso ramen, which turned out to be just average. The noodles were fine, but the broth felt flat, mostly salty and spicy without much depth or balance. It didn’t match the way people described it as being “just like Japan.” Overall, the food was okay but not worth waiting more than 10 minutes for. The Michelin recognition seems overstated.

The chicken broth ramen had a deeper umami flavour than the pork which was shocking. The noodles were exceptional. Fried chicken was not as crispy as I had hoped. Overall really tasty with some misses. Friendly staff. Wait was not long at all. 10 min for 3 of us on a Friday evening.

Very good selection of baked goods. The Babka is very well made but you need to get there early to get one as they fly off the shelves. Good coffee, the staff does a very good job and is always courteous and friendly. One of my go-to stops whenever I am in Montreal.

Best oatmeal cookies in Montreal and their baguettes are amazing! This hidden little bakery on the Plateau makes exquisite pastries with a friendly smile, and I’m happy to see that it’s become very popular recently for coffee or lunch, which is well deserved. Try their white “milk” bread!

Best croissant in Montreal!! Buttery, crispy on the outside and so soft on the inside. Can’t have enough of it! You have to go early in the morning… they sold out so quickly! It took me few visits to be able to get the croissant. Enjoy! 🥐

I believe I got the ricotta & zaatar pastry which was DIVINE. I’ve gotten bread here too and it’s always been great. The coffee, however, isn’t the greatest but definitely come here for the food!

I enjoyed the coffee so much! It’s been a while since I had a latte with acidity. Milk foam on top and latte art was perfect. The cafe smelled of fresh bread! I tried the baguette, croissant, and a few pastries; they were good overall. I had hoped the croissant would be a bit more crunchy, but the overall experience was nice with friendly staff. A local classic and no frills spot that will always have a line up because it’s damn good! Dishes are delicious, seating is limited. BUT don’t get their regular coffee - two thumbs down on that weird watery one - sorry.

we came here last year and it was amazing so went again and this time it tasted different. it was good, but not great. Rendan beef was too salty and spicy to my taste. buns were good but nothing special. drinks were not impressive too. maybe they changed menu or some ingredients, but it's definitely not like a year ago.

I went to this restaurant with a friend, and we had such an amazing time! The highlight of our meal was definitely the papaya salad — absolutely delicious and full of flavor. The Amaretto Sour was also on point, perfectly balanced and refreshing. Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking to hang out with friends or enjoy a cozy date night. Great vibes all around!

It was unclear how to get a table. The host disregarded us and then sat us in a corner. It was extremely hot in there, especially where we were. Slower service as well. They brought the wrong drink, even though I ordered a different one. Cute atmosphere though and yummy food. Good place to eat before a night out. Highly recommend the pork belly buns.

Satay Brothers is a colorful restaurant serving Singaporean dishes, located near the popular Atwater Market. I visited on a Saturday evening, and the place was packed. There was a short line at the door, and we waited about 20–25 minutes before being seated at the bar, which worked out just fine. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The host at the entrance, whose parents run the restaurant, was especially warm, and both the bartenders and servers were attentive despite the weekend rush. That said, if you go on a Friday or Saturday night, I recommend putting in your order quickly since service can feel a little stretched when it’s busy. I ordered the Char Kway Teow ($20 CAD), a stir-fried noodle dish with shrimp, clams, and Chinese sausage. The flavors were good and matched the menu description, but my only disappointment was that the portion size felt quite small for the price. The atmosphere is what really stands out: bright decorations, colorful energy, a mix of people enjoying both food and drinks, and hip-hop music adding to the vibe. I had dinner at Satay Brothers on a Friday evening. The restaurant has a nice, vibrant vibe, it’s definitely lively and noisy, which fits the weekend energy, but it also felt a bit too crowded. I ordered the shrimp fried rice. The portion was on the smaller side, and although the price was reasonable, the dish itself was quite spicy. It only came with three shrimps. The rice was well-cooked and had a nice crunch to it, while the shrimp were tender. The flavors and spices were okay, but nothing impressive, I’ve definitely had better versions elsewhere. Overall, my experience was okay. The place feels a bit overrated to me. The service, however, was good. Would I come back? Probably not.

A Flavorful Hidden Gem in Little Burgundy We enjoyed an early Sunday evening dinner at Satay Brothers Restaurant, and what a beautiful surprise it turned out to be. Tucked away on Notre-Dame Street West in the Little Burgundy neighborhood, this vibrant spot is clearly a local favorite, and for good reason. Although we didn’t have a reservation and had to wait about 25 minutes to be seated, the wait was absolutely worth it. The staff were warm, welcoming, and very accommodating right from the start, making us feel at home even before we sat down. We ordered a variety of dishes to share family-style, and everything was bursting with flavor. Some standouts from our meal included the marinated chicken skewers, pineapple salad, bao buns, and the steamed chicken satay each dish perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was laid-back and full of energy, with friendly servers and a fun, cozy ambiance that made the entire experience even more enjoyable. The cocktails were also a hit, especially the Moscow Mule, which paired wonderfully with our food. All in all, Satay Brothers delivered an unforgettable dining experience. Highly recommend making a reservation if you’re planning to go, this place fills up fast, and it’s easy to see why!

Fun vibes at this restaurant and flavourful food! The cocktails were tasty! My favourite was the pandan daiquiri - the pandan aftertaste was delicious. The noodles came with a lot of seafood and the seasoning was spot on. The char kuay teow was a little sweeter than I thought it was going to be (thought it was going to be a bit more savoury), but still delicious nonetheless. The decor is fun! It is a little loud in the restaurant so it is a bit hard to talk if you have a soft voice. Will definitely want to come back to try more dishes!

The best, most authentic pho outside of Vietnam! this is really an institution. the service is speedy, friendly and warm and the food is so so excellent. The broth is rich, deep and perfectly seasoned and full of flavour. The noodles are fresh and bouncy and the beef is excellent quality. Hands down the best pho I’ve had!

I’ve had Pho in many countries but no where can beat Pho Lien. The best Pho ever! The soup gives you perfect combination of gentle saltiness, sweetness from onion and bone marrow and herbal scents of spices. Highly recommend you to try, and this place only serves impressive and flavorful foods!

Been dining to this restaurant from time to time for many years when I have a craving for Vietnamese chicken soup or grilled beef lime with side dish of imperial rolls. Small restaurant with Jo reservation so you might have some lineups depending on time and day. Note that cash only is accepted but a ATM machine is inside for cash.

rating: 3.8 / 5 ☆ Prior to 2020, I used to have lunch here fairly often with my family. Out of the many pho restaurants located in Montreal, we preferred Pho Lien because of their appetizers, three-coloured drink and obviously, their pho. Over the past 3 years, we hadn’t dined here due to multiple reasons, the main ones being the implementation of restrictions associated with covid (lockdowns) and the 45 minutes drive it takes (used to come here after tutoring lessons back in high-school). On Friday, October 6th at around 11:15am, my family and I decided to come for lunch, as we had plans in the vicinity. We (4) were seated immediately and ordered the following: - pho (beef) - spring rolls - papaya salad - rice cakes and eggs - three-coloured drink (+ more pho for takeout) For starters, overall, the quality and the taste of the dishes are what I remember them to be. Although I have noticed that the broth contained slightly less MSG than before (based on its taste alone), which i personally prefer. Also, the three-coloured drink was extremely sugary and the taste of coconut was much less prominent, which sadly altered the taste. On a positive note, the spring rolls I grew up loving taste just the same and the peanut sauce is still to my liking. (I’m quite picky when it comes to the consistency and the taste of peanut dipping sauce, truthfully I’d give theirs an 8.5/10) However, the portion of some dishes are significantly smaller than what my family and I remember them to be- which is rather disappointing, considering that the price has increased as well. I understand that the rise of food costs leaves businesses no choice but to increase the prices on their menu, however diminishing the dishes’ portions on top of that is simply a bad business move. For instance: - the amount of noodles in the pho was nowhere near enough when taking into account the size of the bowl ordered (the amount of beef was fine though) - the rice cakes and eggs dish has shrunk by a lot (this is my mom’s favourite dish, therefore she noticed right away) - the glass used to serve the three-coloured drink is shorter and smaller, as the handle of the spoon used to be barely visible when inserted in the glass and while mixing the drink before taking a sip I sincerely hope this review reaches the business well and serves as constructive criticism, as I truly wish to continue supporting this restaurant whose food takes me back to my childhood and other memories that I’m fond of. Service: Waiter was polite and the dishes were served fairly quickly, though we went before rush-hour took place.

The pho was good, the rice pancakes with eggs was one of the best I've eaten. The grilled pork chop was also well seasoned and delicious. The only negative point I have is the price, the portion was small for what you paid for; I can find pork chop almost two times bigger elsewhere for the same price and that are as good.

We came from Toronto, expecting great food. The PHO was good, but the BUN was a total disappointment. The rice noodle were clump together and cold. The shrimps were cold and tasted off. The spring rolls is indescribably bad. The customer service was terrible. The server ignored us And seemed more interested in wandering around aimlessly than serving customers. Will not return !!!

Service is very fast. One of the best phos I’ve had. The place is kind of tight but it’s ok. Only down side is they don’t take credit cards so you have to pay cash. They have an ATM machine inside that charges $2.75 fee for withdrawals. Bathroom was good and clean.

Great pho! Didn't take long for it to arrive to our table. Perfect place to stop by and eat lunch, it's a walking distance from Kimphat so you can also go there. It was really hard to find parking though

Pho Nam Quan is an absolute gem! The pho here is some of the best I’ve ever had—rich, flavorful broth with perfectly cooked noodles and fresh ingredients. The portions are generous, so you leave feeling fully satisfied. One of the best parts is the price—so affordable for the quality and quantity of food you get. It’s hard to find such a great meal at such a reasonable cost these days. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the service is quick and friendly. Whether you’re a pho lover or trying it for the first time, Pho Nam Quan is a must-visit. Highly recommended! This should work well for highlighting the key aspects of the restaurant!

Me and my friend had the pleasure of dropping by last week as the regular Vietnamese restaurant I usually frequent was full and this one was just a few minutes drive away. To my surprise, they had an extra large bowl of Bun Bo Hue. Compared to other similar Vietnamese restaurants I found that I greatly enjoyed their version more. The meat was lean with very little fat and the broth was not as oily like the other restaurant. My friend ordered a rice dish with pork chops. He also had the same impression that his pork chops were lean as well. The portions were also plentiful as well. The prices were similar to other restaurants, but the quality of the food was very good. The decor and atmosphere were average, and service was adequate and not rushed. We were served cold glasses of tea which hit the spot becuse the day was hot and humid. The restaurant had no private parking lot, but there was plenty of free parking on the streets around it Would I go back there, YES!

This place is a go-to for my family. We’ve always loved their pho! They offer two sizes: L and XL The broth is always so tasty and well prepared, and the portions are worth the price honestly. They also give us tea and there are chili and hot sauce as well as hoisin on each table! i got the bun bo hue and the noodles are thicker than i prefer but that is usually how bun bo hue is prepared! my father is a FAN of the beef tendons here Parking is difficult when u go on a busy day:/

My favourite Bún Bô Huê in town. 5 stars for the taste. Less star for the service… The price is still reasonable with today’s inflation.

Nice little restaurant with a handful of vegan and vegetarian options. I started off with some vegé imperial rolls which were tasty and densely packed. For our mains, we got the vegetarian pho (made with veg broth) and tofu crispy noodles. The pho was good and full of tofu and veggies. The crispy noodles itself lacked some flavor but the tofu and veggies were decently flavored. Staff were really nice, good experience overall.

wow our server was so friendly! we came in about 30 minutes before close (i know i know) but he was so happy to serve us. the pho was AMAZING with huge portions - broth was perfectly seasoned, veggies were crisp, and the tofu was very flavourful. excellent price as well.

The broth of their pho is decent, but the quality and options of ingredients are lacking. No tripe, or tendon, or even meat ball here. The rare beef is cut thick, and since it's low quality, it's relatively chewy. The service was good, but food came slower than expected. The restaurant is small and cramped. It's a good spot if you need to get that pho hit and you're in the area, but I wouldn't recommend going out of your way for this one.

It’s a cute little place! The price is very fair, we paid 13$ for the medium bowl, and 14$ for the large beef pho. Service was also very quick. Taste wise, it’s okay, the broth is a little too salty and the meat was a bit chewy. You can also see in the picture that the green veggies are looking a little sad. The noodles were really nice though, and the portions are good for the price!

Super fast service; a little bit too fast in terms of service! I sat down, the moment I opened the menu, the waiter already asking my order. I told him I need more time, so he walked away, and 15 seconds later, he came and asked what I wanted 😅🤣 I had 15 seconds to read the menu! Glad to see they are offering spicy soup, which is my favorite type of Vietnamese soup. Enjoyed the medium bowl of super hot soup, on a chilly, nice flavor and quite enjoyable!

Authentic Vietnamese dishes, the pho broths of both chicken and rare beef are delicious. Quite a limited menu, but generously plated. The service is also fast and efficient!

Met up with a friend to have breakfast here on my second day visiting Montreal. Sunday morning was packed with a line up out the door. Luckily the 2 of us sat at the bar as we were instantly ushered inside. Service was friendly and efficient. The vibe though! Such a lively atmosphere with a nice view of the open kitchen area. Food was super tasty and the coffee was gourmet. The price was on the higher end but it was smack in the middle of downtown so I get it. Highly recommended!

This spot came highly recommended by several people, so it was at the top of my must-visit list in Montreal. I’m so glad I went because Olive et Gourmando ended up being the best place I ate during my trip. The atmosphere is warm and lively, the staff are friendly and attentive, and the food was absolutely delicious. I had the Tex-Mex (or maybe Mexican) breakfast option, and it was honestly the best breakfast I’ve had in years. I also ordered the fresh orange juice, and it was so, so, so good. I’m still thinking about it. I arrived around 11 AM on a Friday in July and had to wait about 30 minutes, but it wasn’t a big deal. There’s a really cool tattoo and jewellery shop right across the street that made the wait fly by. If I ever return to Montreal, I’ll definitely be coming back here. Highly recommend!

It really was worth the 30 minute wait. Everything was great. The baked eggs were very flavorful, my friend loved the peach french toast (a weekend special), the sconewich was so good I ended up coming here the next day to grab 2 to go. The blueberry muffin was fluffy, moist, and not too sweet. They nailed the flavors and everything was cooked to perfection, it’s no wonder it’s one of the top breakfast/brunch spots in Montreal.

Excellent place for breakfast. It is a bit of a hole in the wall as there are no other restaurants nearby. The atmosphere is very authentic with cute decor throughout. We had the egg and salami burger, which is pretty good, and the kids grilled cheese sandwich, along with a croissant. The fresh baked pastries are very tasty. Note that these don't come with sides so you might need to order a bit more. Make sure to go early as it gets later in the morning and you'll have to wait.

Despite the waiting time, I loved their coffee and sandwich. The almond croissant was delicious too, has got the right amount of sweetness. To avoid the rush hour, it is good to get there around 9.30AM. Ambience is a little noisy but can be ignored for the food they serve. Got a spicy poached egg panini without meat (modified). It was simply perfect.

Olive et Gourmando is a charming and very popular spot in Old Montreal — and for good reason! The coffee is strong and bold, perfect for serious coffee lovers. While it’s definitely on the pricier side, everything we tried was worth it. We had the yogurt and chia bowls, which were absolutely divine — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully balanced. Their house-made granola was so delicious that we ended up buying a bag to take home! The café itself is quaint and full of character. It gets extremely busy, but surprisingly, the wait time wasn’t long despite the no-reservations policy. The staff were friendly and attentive, making the experience even better. If you’re visiting Montreal, I’d highly recommend stopping by at least once. Whether for a quick coffee or a light, nourishing meal, this place is a gem.

Walked in, held up fingers for how many in our party, and we were seated right away. Tables are two-tops pushed together depending on group size—efficient, no-nonsense setup. The beef in the pho was excellent—tender, well-cooked—but the broth was forgettable. Not bad, just didn’t stand out. My son’s chicken and rice plate was clean and filling, but so neutral it could’ve come from half a dozen different places. No standout seasoning, no distinct flavor. Cash only, but they did take U.S. dollars and even gave a small discount—so that was a pleasant surprise. Fast service, decent prices, no big complaints—but nothing special either. If you’re nearby and hungry, it’ll do. But if you’re chasing top-tier pho in Montréal, this isn’t the destination.

Was here 7 to 8 years ago and remembered they had green chopsticks and the food was excellent. Orders a pho with rare beef and vegetables and the vegetables deep fried spring rolls. Everything was fresh and beautifully cooked. The broth was aromatic not overly salty Which is quite rare ( excuse the pun) Washrooms are clean::: SUPER CLEAN. I have to say I have not been to an Asian restaurant with washrooms this clean!! Service is friendly and fast. Highly recommended.

Tried their No.1 signature raw beef & tripe pho with beef balls – absolutely spot on. The dry pho with marinated beef is also a must-try, packed with flavor. This place is always busy (which is a good sign!) and it’s cash only, so come prepared. The taste is authentic and satisfying, but the service could be friendlier. Still, for the quality of the food, it’s worth a visit if you’re in Montreal’s Chinatown.

I love this Pho place. The price is right, the portions are big and the service is one of the fastest in town. The pho is delicious and the spicy weekend special pho is even better. I almost never have to wait for a table. One of the best spots in Chinatown imo. They have been accommodating of my food restrictions, which I appreciate a lot. Please note they only take cash but they have an ATM next to the area where you go to pay.

So far, the best Vietnamese food I had in Montreal! Their noodle grilled chicken 🍲 soup is 👌 👍. Their grilled beef + chicken +rice is a MUST try 🤪. Give it a try 👌. Prices are fairly well. I ordered a small bowl but it was more than enough to fill me up. They served me tea at the beginning, which was really nice and comforting. The service was friendly, and overall I had a pleasant experience. The only thing I’d mention is that the side salad seemed a bit carelessly presented, but everything else was great.

First time been here and first time trying North Pho noodle. I was not sure if it was the exact taste of North Pho, so gave it a try, the soup was not salted, not too much flavor compared to other Pho I tried. It was ok. Fast service. I ordered a Special Pho (M size) and 1 combo of beef pho + 1 spring roll. I paid cash and was charged without tax, of course I tipped. The price was pretty not bad. Would recommend.

Really wanted to like this place because the workers were so nice but the food is just not up to par. We ordered pho and also a dried vermicelli dish and both were very disappointing, it’s probably one of the worst Vietnamese restaurants Ive ever been to taste wise. The pho broth was not bad but the meat was colourless and chewy. As for the dried vermicelli, it was served without the usual fish sauce (which we later found out was supposed to come with the order), but even without it, the noodles were extremely dry and bunched up, and the chicken was so dry it was borderline like jerky. The spring roll was also very greasy and pretty much only had carrots as the filling, we were hungry but couldn’t finish the food.

Only when meeting someone you don’t know well ,you will take him to a restaurant with a decent environment and exquisite dishes. Only when meeting a friend you really get along with , you will take him to a small restaurant hidden in the street.

It’s really tasty. The beef is juicy. The vegetables spring roll is so good.

We chose Pho Bac on a whim after a quick search while visiting Montreal, and wow, we were not disappointed. The food was amazing, the service was great and helpful. Would definitely recommend it to anyone that wants a great Pho, that’s full of flavour and very delicious.

We went to this restaurant for our first dinner in Montreal after hearing good things, and we were not disappointed. We ordered a full portion of chicken dumplings and another of juicy pork dumplings. Both were well prepared and served hot, though we found the juicy pork dumplings to be slightly more authentic—the texture reminded us of bao. One small note: be careful while eating the dumplings, as the juices inside can get a bit messy.

Our favorite place to go since we arrived in Montreal… and it still is. The classic #11 is just the best. Also, we tried the sweet dumpling dessert: amazing as well. We’ll always recommend this place.

I had heard so many great things about this restaurant, and it definitely lived up to the hype! The dumplings were juicy, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. The portions are generous for the price and leave you feeling full and satisfied. I did try the sweet and sour soup, which wasn’t quite to my taste, the texture was a bit too thick, and the flavor didn’t really work for me. That said, overall everything was really good, and the service was quick and efficient. I’d happily go back!

We were passing this restaurant one evening. It looked busy and decided to have a go. The staff were helpful when asked and helped us understand the menu. The soup arrived very quickly and it tasted nice. It was piping hot, just what you expect. There was a wait for the the dumplings 30 mins to 45 mins. We didn't mind to much as it was packed. The dumplings arrived and were delicious. They come in a portion of 15 , that was quite filling for 2 people. And highly recommended. I would be aware of the Teriyaki ones as they didn't taste of teriyaki at all and were just ground mince beef. They were tasty however came in a portion of 5 for the same price as the 15. Deffo worth a visit if you are in the area.

Fantastic soup dumplings with lots of filling options. I also appreciated that you got a large number of dumplings, so it felt like a meal. The soup i added to my meal was perfect for a chilly day in the city.

We were wandering around Chinatown late at night looking for food when we came across Sammi & Soup Dumpling. The long line outside caught our attention—especially since nearby restaurants offering similar dishes were empty—so we decided to give it a try. Turns out, it was worth it! Their xiao long bao had a nice variety of flavors and tasted pretty good overall. The only downside is that I wish they were a bit juicier. Meanwhile their pan-fried dumplings had an interesting texture and were definitely worth trying. Prices were affordable too, which made the experience even better. If you’re in the area, it’s a great late-night spot to check out!

1* after I won't be returning after being hit twice very hard with the door by the young lady working there. I loved the place but after today it really put me off. Always had good experiences there but today was just too much and being sarcastic about it was absolutely the tipping point. The stars are honest reviews of the food and place just character wise I feel the little woman should be more mindful of how she treats people, especially Inidgenous people where we've had enough abuses and discrimination. I don't return to places where I have been purposefully inappropriately hit as I am respectful and kind to everyone. I left my food and just finished the broth. It really was a really upsetting experience after losing someone tragically rhat you worked with especially and wanting to have a soup in peace to help heal the mind, body and soul.

My first visit here after hearing about it for many years. I've been shocked by the high prices but I have to admit the flavors left me a deliciously positive impression. I was recommended the chicken/shrimp spring roll and the pho. The roll was delicious and I could feel the freshness in the texture and taste. The noodles, shrimps, chicken, rice paper, sauce were amazingly on point. 10/10 :) As for the pho, meat (50/50 raw and flank) and noodles were very fresh. The broth was good but missing a tiny something special. 8.5/10 The place itself is simple and clean. Too bad there was no terrasse there. I would come back if I'm in the hood and want to splurge myself from time to time.

The best pho I have ever had & not to be missed. Their chicken, beef and pork are incredibly flavorful in both their Banh Mi’s and their bowls. They have a vegetarian option as well with their homemade tofu. The service is top-notch too. Definitely a spot to check out if you're craving some awesome Vietnamese food!

Ordered the beef sandwich through ubereats It was a generous portion, it was really fresh and the beef was grilled to perfection. i am giving it a 4 star review because my beef had lots of fats and it was unpleasant in the mouth. I couldn't swallow it down. Had it not been for that i would have given it a 5 star Baguette was crunchy and delicious as well

One of the best viet restaurant in the St henri. Banh mi is a must. It's grilled meat and not cold cuts. Prices are more than fair and portion are pretty generous. There's a few tables to seat but most people take out. Strongly recommend.

Vietnamese food spot near to metro D'Iberville. They have a lot of options to choose from but I went with I'm familiar with. Had the spring rolls and a bowl of Dac Biet pho. Everything was delicious. The spring rolls were fresh and tasty, the peanut sauce was exquisite, tangy and slightly sweet. The soup was amazing, the broth was comforting and the meat and noodles were nice. I especially liked the meatballs. The staff was attentive and the place is cozy and clean.

Delicious vietnamese food with a wide variety on the menu. You can also ask to customize the noodles in the soups. Their drinks are also delicious, especially the sour sop juice and salt coffee. The place is spacious with many seats. There is parking in the back.

One of the best authentic restaurants in town. My wife had the chicken & imperials with rice noodles along with a soup. On my side it was the rice noodle with grilled pork and imperial rolls. The meals were flavourful,delicious . Fried ice cream for the dessert, it was excellent. Definitely recommand and will be back.

As a Viet living in Quebec, I was glad trying this Excellent authentic Viet restaurant for the first time. The food is delicious and served fresh and hot. Their Sea food Chow Mein was the best chow mein I have eaten in my life! Their Cha Ça La Vong was very good too, and as I am originally from Hanoi where this rare Viet dish has been invented, I was happy to try it as it is rarely offered on a menu. Also their Spring rolls are very delicious and BIG and fresh! Don't forget their desserts! I tried their Durian smoothie and it was yummy! For sure I will be back.

We arrived before closing, so we still had plenty of time to order and eat, but the staff acted like we were bothering them. They served burnt spring rolls and raw grilled beef, and the apology we got was hardly sincere. He didn’t charge us for the undercooked grilled beef, but he remained rude the entire time. Just as we were about to start eating, a worker even reminded us to eat faster. She mentioned it many times, which it was unnecessary and disrespectful. Seriously!? If you hate customers this much, why even bother opening the restaurant! REPLIED: 98%? Are you sure? It was actually closer to 75%. If I had noticed right away that it was raw, I would have told the waiter immediately. But since I only saw it at the very end when I flipped the meat, it was still bloody. Imagine if I had eaten the whole thing without noticing, it was basically raw, and I could’ve gotten sick. The only concerns I want to address are the service, when the waitress told us to eat faster in a rude way, and the fact that the meat was undercooked. I hope you understand, and I do accept the apology. I don’t mean to be rude, I just wanted to express and share the experience me and my friends had. Thank you

2024: Still the best bang for your buck. The thai rolls were excellent. Fresh and crispy veggies with an amazing Thai dipping sauce. The sou, I ordered the small which I could barely finish, was delicious, as usual. If you are looking for a quick bite...this is the place to enjoy some grest food. 2020 : Very impressed. The service was quick and the food was served hot. We ordered one special spicy soup and one shrimp with vegetables. Neither were spicy. We were able to add extra spice if we wanted. Prices of the soups are very reasonable and they were big enough to be considered a full meal.

The bun bo hue and lemongrass condiment was great, though too sweet for my liking. The com ba mao pork chop was microwaved. Call Gordon Ramsey, who precooks pork chops then microwave to order? But the biggest no no was that I got food poisoning from the smoothie: they hand washed the mixer in the sink and didn’t do a good job, the health inspector better not get them on that?

I went to the restaurant last Saturday. The food was good and the cocktails were spectacular, but the restaurant manager was arrogant and respectful of her employees. The waitress was serving us and the interlocutor was explaining something to us about the chicken wings and she was only on her phone.

What truly made the night special was the incredible service. Denis, our waiter, was exceptionally kind, warm, and attentive — he genuinely made our evening memorable. The chef also chatted with us — so friendly and welcoming. The ambiance is cozy and beautifully decorated, and the cocktails were fantastic — especially the passion fruit margarita, which was next-level good. We used to go to this place in the past and loved the food there. After a long time we went back and were totally disappointed with the food. The owners of the restaurant has changed and so is the quality of food. No flavour, very bland taste. The waitress was very nice and that’s why I am giving the place a 2, not 1.

The spicy braised beef is surprisingly well-prepared, offering a balanced and flavorful taste. However, the braised beef noodle soup does not match the advertised presentation. Rather than serving tender chunks of slow-braised beef, thin slices are placed directly into the hot soup, leaving the meat overcooked, tough, and lacking the richness of proper braising. On a positive note, the noodles are excellent in both texture and quality. Service, however, can be inconsistent, and billing is done per order rather than cumulatively, which may be inconvenient for larger groups. Overall, this place could be much better if it avoided cutting corners, maintained consistent quality, and implemented a proper table billing system instead of per-order bills.

Went to the blue lotus looking for their fresh noodles and they were delicious. Service was fast, I picked the traditional noodles with lamb and they were great. You had the three different sauces on the side and we also ate some delicious dumplings. Small restaurant but it looked good.

i had been craving xiaolongbao for eons and these were amazing, only thing is i wish there were more soup inside because it was so yum. the spicy minced pork soup with the handmade thick noodles were amazing. the spice level was great, it wasn’t too hot but it was enough to taste. the seasoning on the pork was divine along with the broth!absolutely delicious and the staff were so kind!! highly recommend :)

It's a tight spot, tables are close together. Noodles were good, not exceptional but good. Dim sum wasn't great either. The service was fast but they needed to be reminded stuff all the time. Overall, I liked the experience, and I plan to come back. I would recommend this place, but there are other better spots in China town. 3.4/5

This is an excellent Northern Chinese restaurant featuring freshly made noodles that are just as good as the next door noodle show in the window, Nouilles de Lan Zhou. If this restaurant would create a show of now with their people making noodles they would be just as busy. But they do make their own freshly made noodles of all kinds as well as fresh made dumplings and also Dim Sum. Service: super friendly and knowledgeable. They always push their famous lamb and noodle soup bowl - and for good reason it’s awesome. They know their product well and can guide you to a good meal. Atmosphere: the place is not trying to be a 5-star high end restaurant. This is more like being in china with tables and chairs to accommodate many and family alike. It is a bit cramped but it somehow does not feel this way and instead makes it feel cosy and friendly. One big note. They do not have a washroom and you have to go into the adjoining building on the second floor to the left. This is not their fault, but the building management does not maintain the same washrooms well at all so go elsewhere if you can. Food: everything is fresh, freshly made, and very delicious. We sat near the noodle making and kitchen that you can see from the storefront window. It was lovely to watch the chefs make fresh noodles, dumplings and cooking things. I wish it was easier to see the cooking like an open kitchen concept with a view that acts as entertainment. The portions were fantastic and the quality was present. The soups were excellent and to my surprise even the small size was sufficient to fill me up even though I was super hungry. The dumplings were so fresh and the texture was excellent as well the stuffing. The star for us was the fresh noodles. They were excellent and I would even say better than most in the Chinatown area. On my next trip to this restaurant we’re going to try some other traditional dishes as well as the dim sum which looked and smelled great with the people next to my group.

The lamb soup, and the soups in general are very good and authentic. The crispy dumplings have the perfect texture. Don’t fade the cold appetizer either if you like offals. They are delicious. Also one of best fragrant chili oil in MTL.

Don't even bother with this place, okay? Seriously, it's a disaster. First off, no AC when it's scorching hot? Come on! And the service? Straight-up garbage. We went on a Sunday night, and it wasn't even packed. They sat me and my friend right by the door. What's up with that? Plus, she messed up our order. And the food? The soup is loaded with MSG. We both got sick afterward. The noodle salad was just okay, whatever. Oh, and get this: I saw the waitress cleaning the table with a dirty napkin for the next people! No cleaner or anything! After that whole mess, I didn't tip, and the guy just stared at me. I was like, "You need to tell your waitress to step it up!"

I was so disappointed by the Bò kho Beef Stew today. Greasy stock, (look at how much grease I took out), carrots were lightly boiled and put in the stew. Why in the world would they change the recipe like that and who would want to have bland slightly boiled carrots in the soup ??!! Will never order Bò Kho again.

Food was alright. Lacked a bit of flavor but nothing a couple of spices and sauces can't fix. That being said, i really didn't liked the cashier's attitude toward me absolutely putting a tip and the fact that he raised his tone as if i was leaving without paying my tab. I don't mind tipping a good meal and service, not tipping you doing basic services like just taking my order and just serve the food I'm paying for. And I was about to tip anyway since a friend of mine recommended the place, but that cashier's attitude left a bad taste in my mouth and I will not come back. Not worth it.

Located along TransCanada near Jarry, it's a tiny family-run Vietnamese Pho House that serves authentic Vietnamese cuisines, from beef pho to vermicelli to Lemongrass marinated pork chop rice plates, all very yummy. Moreover, the prices are quite reasonable, especially in today's ever escalating inflation, their EXTRA Large bowls of Beef Phos are $15.75CDN. Our party of 10 ordered #8 (Rare brisket, tripes, etc) were delicious, the cold with pork chops were excellent as well The service was on the spot, considering folks were coming in constantly. I highly recommend it ‼️

The broth was great. I had Enough noodles but I feel the protein could have been more. I had the Large grilled chicken Pho with the spring rolls.. I did not like then though they were NOT freshly made. Service is a bit stiff Beware the ONLY TAKE CASH...which is super wierd to me and probably why I'm giving them 3 stars But it was a pretty cheap lunch. I really do enjoy the pho here. However the service is always so bad. I went recently and they didn’t bring my food and only brought food for my partner. The waiter then denied that I ordered anything and stormed off upset. I felt so uncomfortable. I understand that the service industry is difficult but how is that necessary.

A friend from Montreal has always wanted to eat here and never had. She recommended it to a friend and me and all of us went. Having been to Vietnam numerous times and eating lots of Phō in NYC, this is the real thing. The broth was excellent, the noodles and beef delicious. Totally would eat here again. It’s not fancy, but it doesn’t matter. Bring your husband/wife/family/date or coworkers. Won’t be disappointed. I hate cilantro and they were very happy to leave it out of my food.

I would say it has a healthier touch. The Bun Bo Hue which is always my favourite in a pho restau is also worth the try if you're looking to switch it up. And just look at how crunchy the fried wantons are, don't hesitate to add it to your warm winter treat a.k.a. a perfect bowl of pho!

Pho Mymy is our go to place for Vietnamese dish (Bun bo hue and pho). Always had a good experience. Bowls cost around 15$ each (excluding tax and tips). The last time we went though they didn’t give red cabbage to accompany the Bun bo hue. Just bean sprouts and Thai basil which go with pho. Bun bo hue wasn’t spicy enough. I wish there was more meat.

We recently dined at this restaurant on a weekend and were impressed with the fast service. The family-friendly atmosphere was enhanced by the bright and lively decor, which looked like it had been recently renovated. The soup special and spring rolls were delicious, but the grilled beef with vermicelli was just okay. However, we were disappointed with the preparation of the Vietnamese coffee. What really caught our attention, though, was the staff handling drinks without gloves or washing their hands beforehand, which raised some hygiene concerns.

I didn't know what to eat, and the waiter suggested Dăc Biêt soup. It was really tasty. First time trying trips. It's a bit chewy but still good. Staff were really friendly. I got a kick of seeing a robot bringing the meals to the tables.

Coming from Toronto and craving for a bowl of Pho for quick dinner. I ordered a House special and the coconut jelly drink, the beef broth is very fragrant and tasty, one size and it'd perfect potions. I will try their grill port chop on rice next time.

I can tell most of the bad reviews are from people that dined in and the good reviews were take outs. I dined in and my experience was bitter sweet. The service is definitely laking. I went at 8:30 pm and the waiters were on their phones and no one looked at us. We then sat down and they brought the menu. We ordered and they brought the food in record speed. I had the spicy pho and it wad great for the price. What upset me was people were coming in at 8:50 pm and they were turned down! The restaurant closes at 9:30 pm but it was clear the employees didn’t feel like working anymore. Another older couple came in around 9 pm and they were too sweet and practically begging the waiter to eat and they said they will leave at 9:30 pm (official closing time) but they were still turned down so they left upset. This was heartbreaking and not a pleasant sight to see while eating.

Fast service and the food was really tasty. The food has the burst of flavour I expect from Korean restaurants. The only reason I give 4 stars is because I've been here multiple times but the quality and taste of the food is inconsistent. This is especially true with their tteokbokki dish.

Kantapia is a great little find on Sherbrooke street. They have good Korean food at a decent price. It gets crowded very fast though, as it's very close to McGill. Make sure to get there a bit before dinner rush time. My fav dish here is their kimbap!

A very good find. Bibimbap tofu was very good. The sauces were a bit too sweet for my taste. But the price, quantity and quality is excellent. Would definitely recommend going.

Very casual korean restaurant. The service can be really slow(especially during busy hours), the food is really good. The restaurant is really small and the have limited choices on the menu but it's definitely worth trying. I highly recommend getting the Chicken Gangjeong!! 🐢

Besides its size, this place is very good. The service is very quick and the food itself is delicious. I am not big on Korean food per se , but I gotta say that I was pleasantly surprised by the Chicken Gangjeong and the Bibimbap. The boiled mandu were a bit soggy, but pretty tasty. Next time I'll tried them fried. Prices were...ok. Will go back.

I went there a few weeks ago (on a weekend day), for late lunch. I ordered fried tofu and pork dumplings. They were very delicious. The fried tofu was just as crispy as I wanted. The fried pork dumplings were also yummy. I really liked the oily spicy sauce they had on the table as well. Likely because I went in the late afternoon, there weren't many people, which was quite nice. A place for cozy winter afternoon lunch.

It was quiet a Saturday evening which I apreciated. Staff was friendly. Decor is quite nice! It's cool to be served on a real wood table. I also noticed a discret usb wall charger and I thought it was nice of them. Food was tasty, I enjoyed the hot and sour soup to the point of wanting to know more about it and if I can try to do that at home. Dumplings had the nice crust. / RE cleaningness comment of the bathroom were absolutely more clean than what pictures of 8 months ago show. They offer a seat cleaner which is beyond what others offer. There was a sign to not squat in 3 languages which is a strong indicator that they expect locals and that they are "authentic". / I would say this place deserse 4.2 to 4.4 stars. As I was going there to draw there, the table and plate presentation were a bit oily and it's was not very helping that we get 1 napkin. Especially a poor one. That would be my point to change. I do like the staff don't come often but I also like to help myself. Still, I would definitely keep it on my come back list because I like to know where I can have conversations where we can hear each other.

Good location. Very good dumplings. The only chicken item in the menu is a COLD one NOT a food served hot. Shrimp dumpling is very good. Fried veg dumpling is crispy but lacking in taste. Space is little cramped. The entry doors bangs all the time when people enter and exit and it’s very annoying while dinning inside the restaurant. Price is ok, location is perfect easy to find.

We were interested in dumplings and looked online and everyone said to try Mai Xiang Yuan so we checked it out. From the outside it doesn’t look like much and inside the service wasn’t great, but the dumplings were decent. We got the lamb dumplings, soup with dumplings, and the veggie dumplings. the soup was really good as were the lamb and veggie dumplings - each tasted fresh with good steam and good flavor. overall good dumplings - I wouldn’t say the best and I wouldn’t go out of my way - but definitely a stop by if i was in the area

The decor and ambiance felt warm and authentic here, but the service was very slow. It took a long while to order and an hour or so wait time for the dishes. As for the food, the hot & sour soup was better than most places here, the steamed shrimp and chive dumplings were excellent, but the beef curry dumplings were undercooked. Overall, it was decent but still so much potential to be better given the nice interior.

Not a bad place for dumplings. My friends and I popped into this restaurant as the other one about 50 feet East of this had a crazy long line in front of it =( The interior decor is nice but we didn’t have a great experience in terms of food. Our soups and dumplings were all barely warm and there were a lot of alarm noises going off in the back... so we kind of understood why this place was sort of empty and the other one was packed… and that is unfortunate since this restaurant has a lot of potentials.

I had a great time here, cucumber is crunchy which is one of the proof it’s fresh! Not too spicy and nice displayed, I order pork dumpling, it’s delicious and juicy, the portion is pretty big which I can’t finish all, it’s good flavoured and I would recommended this place !

It's a deli famous for it's beef, and we got the beef! Pretty delicious and a great little delight where you get to meet some people as you'll be sandwiched in with some other travellers. A great experience and hits the exact mark you're expecting. We had a shwartz beef sandwich and a poutine with beef on top. Both excellent. The only critique would be the line up. While we expected a wait, the line was filled with / "I think this of what we're supposed to do". That being said, we all figured it out. Amazing sandwich from a famous and awesome deli!

I had an incredible experience at Schwartz’s Deli in Montreal. The smoked meat was simply outstanding — juicy, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. You can really taste the tradition and quality in every bite. Their poutine was also amazing, with crispy fries, tasty gravy, and the right amount of cheese curds. The place has that authentic Montreal vibe, always busy but full of energy. The staff were friendly and quick, even with the long line. It’s no surprise that this place is a local favorite — definitely a must-visit for anyone coming to Montreal!

One thing that you cannot miss when you’re in Montreal, smoked meat. It’s one of kind delicacy with its rich history, and served out of place that looks right out of a 60-70’s movie even today. A classic retro styled diner, with brisket display and bar seating, old style menu’s and a specific counter to collect payments. Coming to the meat and the sandwich, the meat was just like cotton candy, melts the moment it touches your tongue. Seasoned perfectly, cooked right and smoked blissfully, this is a place that anyone and everyone visiting Montreal should try

If you're visiting Montreal, or planning a visit, this is definitely a culinary spot that should be included on your itinerary. The Deli is truly a sensational place: and I'm not just saying that for its 70s, 80s, and 90s vibe, but also for its excellent service and food. Unfortunately, the restaurant doesn't have many tables, and even with counter space, there's still not enough room for everyone. So plan to arrive early, make a reservation, or wait in line, which can take up to an hour depending on the time of day. Now, if you don't mind not eating in, they offer takeout at the store next door, which is just as delicious, as it's prepared the same way. Plus, you can also buy other items from the restaurant, including preserves and sauces. Unfortunately, the restaurant doesn't have facilities for disabled guests, and the entrances to both stores are small, preventing wheelchairs from entering. In these cases, you'll need the help of friends and family. The prices are very attractive, and the delicious food is worth the wait and the trip. They don't have their own parking lot, and depending on the day, parking in the area is impossible (keep in mind that all street parking is paid, so you'll rarely find free parking).

Was looking to try some Montreal smoked meat while in town, so went to the OG place. Had lunch here and was able to sit at the counter with no wait. Our server was absolutely pleasant and directed us in what/how to order. Food came out fast and was hot. Absolutely delicious!

Absolutely great place and experience! The sandwiches are fresh and delicious, and the pickles are perfect. I especially loved the friendly atmosphere, the older gentleman working there really made our visit special with his cheerful anecdotes from the past. Highly recommend stopping by for great food if you're in Montreal.

Hate to be a downer but Schwartz’s came so highly recommended and we were so disappointed. The line up outside was so very long, but we were thankfully able to sit down at the takeaway restaurant beside the main restaurant. The staff was friendly and welcoming, but the food was a let down. The smoked meat sandwich was so small, and the rye bread so thin. You had to order the pickle and fries extra. Not cheap either. The actual smoked meat was juicy, tasty and authentic. The tables were dirty and no one available to clean them. Overall, it felt like the hype was the reason people go, but the product wasn’t worth it. Sorry Schwartz.

It got packed few minutes after we got seated, but the staff were friendly and on top of everything. Every dish that came out was bold, and rich in flavour. We ordered: • Duck temaki: it was savoury, and packed with umami. The anchovies gave it that sharp hit that cut through the duck's fattiness beautifully. • Foie gras terrine + truffled maple butter: a silky and buttery, also delicately sweet dish, with the truffle rounding out everything nicely. • Mapo Tofu & Foie Gras: such an unexpected combo that works. Rich, spicy, and a little chaotic, but in a good way. • Beef Tripe: hearty, comforting, and full of texture. Everything here is flavour-forward. The foie gras is definitely the star, and they’re not shy about using it. I’d absolutely come back here when I’m in Montreal again. Next time, I'm trying their famous Duck in a Can and maybe foie gras poutine.

Believe the hype. I've eaten a lot of good food at a lot of good restaurants, and this enters the pantheon of the greats. The sweetbreads sando and four gras nigiri were transcendental. Cocktails and drinks selection were on point and perfect for cutting through the richness. The only thing better than the food was the world-class service provided by William. He was warm, personable, knowledgeable, and had a sense of humor. I hope he's getting paid well because he's providing outstanding value for the business.

We visited this restaurant while on vacation under the recommendation of so many and I cannot recommend it enough for delicious food. It is very lively inside and a bit chaotic, but the staff are friendly and attentive. Every dish was an interesting take on traditional foods. Highly recommend the duck in a can - the can is opened at the table and the duck comes out rare, I was very impressed It is very fairly priced for the quality and we rolled out so full! Highly recommend if you are in Montreal!

Absolutely stunning plates with fantastic Quebec fare. I was going to get the Duck in a can, but the chicken and Morels won me over. I have no regrets getting this dish as it was more like a deconstructed chicken pot pie. Fantastic from start to finish. The drinks were fantastic as well. Highly recomend a reservation and going if you are visiting Montreal.

Shoutout to Agathe for being the best hostess!! Delicious comfort food and warm hospitality. Tight space. Good for couples, date nights and small group (4pax). Best for groups of 4 to share different dishes. They update their menu on a weekly basis with seasonal vegetables in mind.

This was the best meal I had during my 7-day trip in Quebec. Every dish was prepared with sophistication, the flavors were spot on, and I was consistently impressed by the creativity and execution of the chef. Highly recommend Duck in the can and the other dish in the photo with a white sauce-the latter was the highlight of the night.

I tried their 5 course menu so the review is based on this experience alone: the dessert was absolutely amazing, every flavor and different textures go great together and taste amazing alone. But the rest was just meh. To be fair the ingredients were good and the chef put thought into the dishes. However the taste was just not as impressive. Not my cup of tea. Except from the dessert. If I ever go back it’s definitely because of the dessert. (Btw the restaurant is very low key and is a bit hard to find if you use google map. I suggest don’t go further since there was a crazy person harassing every passersby in the crossing nearby.)

The eight-course menu was absolutely delicious. Our regret was not starting with the wine pairing from the beginning. Halfway through, we realised the food was so good that it would have been a shame to have it without wine, so we added the pairing then. The wines themselves were not particularly outstanding tho. Additionally, there was a performance outside that was a bit too loud, which slightly disrupted the otherwise wonderful experience.

Just phenomenal food and service. You can pick a la carte but far the more popular choice is 5 or 8 courses. We tried 5 courses menu and it was enough food. Everything was delicious. My favourite dish was beef tartare with pickle mushrooms - just phenomenal! Definitely will be back.

My second time here. Still impressed by its food and service. I order the tasting menu with 8 courses pairing with 5 glasses of Canadian wine( they called discovery ). During the 2.5 hours of dining I never get disappointed and bored but just enjoy the fun to explore the design of food. The service stands out as one of the best in this trip.

Bravo! This was the best upscale food of this Montreal trip (that included stops at Europea, Mon Lapin, and Joe Beef). Flavours are well balanced and excite the palate. This is clearly a kitchen that can execute well, though I feel the food was slightly better at their old location. Holding them back from getting a Michelin star is the decor, single bread choice, bland butter, no proper amuse, way-too-many-things-going-on dessert, and nothing to take home (like a loaf of fancy bread) after the meal - although perhaps that’s because ordered the dinner menu at lunchtime.

Bouillon Bilk is a beautiful fine dining spot in downtown Montreal with a modern and elegant interior design. The ambiance was perfect for a relaxed and upscale meal. We highly recommend making a reservation in advance, as it’s a popular spot. While they offer a tasting menu, we weren’t too hungry, so we ordered one appetizer and one main course each and both were absolutely delicious. A great place for a refined dining experience in the city.

While I truly appreciated the experience, the high price point didn’t quite match the overall wow factor I was hoping for — which is why I gave 4 stars instead of 5.

Toqué! was an unforgettable dining experience from start to finish! The staff was warm, attentive, and made us feel truly cared for throughout the whole meal. The cozy yet elegant ambiance tied it all together. Everything we ordered was amazing, from the scallop to the steak. But the duck confit deserves its own spotlight. The meat was tender, moist, and not at all greasy. The skin was crispy, adding that perfect savory crunch. Each bite was rich but balanced, and you could tell the quality and care that went into every step of its preparation. But the true highlight for me was the dessert. Not only was it stunningly plated, but it tasted even better than it looked. Layers of texture and flavor that played together beautifully. I still miss that exact taste of jasmine tea and yogurt crémeux. Every single dish we ordered was memorable in its own way. Toqué! isn't a cheap meal, but it's one of those rare experiences that's worth the money for all the senses, imo. Easily one of the best culinary experiences we've had in Montreal.

Lovely experience. The food was delicious and offered a thoughtful journey through in-season Quebecois cuisine, but what truly stood out was the staff. Everyone who took care of me was kind, welcoming, and a joy to talk to—especially the main bartender, who curated a full mocktail pairing to accompany my meal. I really appreciated not feeling left out of the drink experience just because I wasn’t drinking alcohol. Their attentiveness made the evening feel personal and memorable. I had a wonderful time.

I visited this restaurant and tried their seven-course tasting menu, hoping to be amazed by their seasonal dishes. Unfortunately, I was disappointed and didn’t notice the fall season ingredients. The presentation was good, but the serving sizes were a bit small. The service was amazing, and the staff were very approachable. The atmosphere was lively and enjoyable.

Absolutely wonderful food but not a cheap dinner experience. The cost isn’t for just for the food but for the attentive staff as well. You are not dining out to save money at this restaurant but to burn a whole in your pocket. However, the taste experience will stay with you forever. As it ignites your tastebuds.

Absolutely amazing! The service was exemplary. Simon was gracious, attentive and accommodating. The sommelier was knowledgeable and willing to discuss wine choices. The maitre d'hotel was aware of everything that was happening. The food was a gastronomic delight. The wine pairings, close to perfect. This was a once in a lifetime experience.

Went to Toqué and had a great experience. The staff was very accommodating, especially with one of our guests who is vegan, and they offered thoughtful and satisfying options. The menu is described as Québécois, but we weren’t quite sure what specifically made it feel that way—it came across more like classic upscale French cuisine. Still, the service was excellent and we left very happy.

Went to this place for breakfast on a Saturday morning after deciding not to wait in a long line waiting for a table at the place opposite to this one. We thought we'd be disappointed but everything about this place was great! I ordered a fresh juice which had grapefruit, strawberries and hint of banana. It was filling and tasty! We also ordered a few omelettes for the table between the 6 of us. Service stands out at this place and the staff and servers are very friendly, attentive and welcoming. Food too, was absolutely excellent.

A very nice lunch place. Although they serve breakfast, we were there for lunch. Really good choices the best a French bistro should have. Good French baguettes with strong hot mustard. French and tasty cold cuts. I did not try but the tray of cold cuts looks really good. They even have raclette for 1 person. The service is very friendly. Don’t expect privacy because the atmosphere is of a bistro where people talk, tables very close to each other. There’s a mix of both locals and lots of tourists. A good meal and fun experience.

I had my hopes up for this place. So many things they could improve to make it a wonderful bistro. For starters the sangria glasses, broken borders in the glasses don't make one feel safe drinking anything. Also, cocktails are not even cold or cool. This bistro has so much potential to become attractive to customers, even the staff seems to be very welcoming and efficient.

What ambiance! Every couple feet, there's a pothos hanging from a basket or a cauldron. Interspersed with ceiling fans and wrought iron chandeliers. Wood beams against a white ceiling. French love songs I think (like I'd expect to hear on a gondola) and toe tapping folk music. My waiter was just as charming, with a kitchen staff working their magic behind the scenes. Between them they found a gluten free option for me and volunteered to clean the kitchen before starting it. It was a laid back afternoon meal accompanied by 3 glasses of sparkling cider. Just what I needed after 2 weeks of travel. Merci.

This place had great decoration floating plants AND floating carbs, great music, seating and service. We were seated right away, and the food arrived promptly. We ordered the smoked salmon sandwich, cheese omelette and hot chocolates. All the food tasted great but salmon was kind of salty and pretty generous. Overall we had a great time and loved the vibe of this place :)

Great latte and croissants. The latte was layered which was different from what I’m use too, but in a good way. The croissant was very tasty, fluffy on the inside and lightly crispy on the outside. The service was very friendly and the staff was very quick. The restaurant is located on a small street. There is not much parking on the street, so it would be best to walk to it if you’re staying at a near by hotel.

Olive et Gourmando was packed on the diagonal opposites corner, so we decided to try something different from the day before. I ordered cassoletoville?!? the one item that was at the top of the page and had its own separate heading and was a stand alone. The most requested item on their menu. I was about to discover why. What a great choice. Yes true the egg was not done right the first time and I had it redone, because I guess I don't like raw eggs in my breakfast. But... it was delicious beyond words. I couldn't add or subtract from it, (maybe a few odd bacon fat pieces). Delicious, made for a great start to the day. The service was friendly, the food amazing. The decor outdated, very outdated. I got over it once I was into the first bite. And if you're with great company it just blurs into the background. The view isn't all that amazing but in the corner vis a vis at the top is a white oversized blowup; like from the animation cartoon Hero. I highly recommend this dish

Definitely a nostalgic spot for those who’ve lived in Montreal for a few years. great location to start your day with a hearty brunch and then go for a walk in the plateau or mile. end. Quality ingredients, big menu, great ambience, super fast service. Little expensive but whatever, it’s not an everyday spot. The kind of place I recommend showing up before 11am or not at all. It’s very popular!

Well, this was a throwback for me visiting for the first time in about 40 years and the Mish Mash was exactly the same. Omelette was good and coffee/cappuccino was also good. Got some T-shirts to bring the memories back to New York. Service top notch and of course a wait, but expect it. Moves fast.

Beauty is a perfect word to describe this place. The service was incredible, the waitress had been there since the '80s and even met Bourdain, the food is exactly what I wanted after a night of many a beer, and the atmosphere was a nice modern take on a retro diner. You'll even see the family that started this place working hard. Really a great place to experience and support. 🍳

Modern, diner vibe. Service was very friendly and attentive. Very interesting venue. No eggs benny here if that's your thing but I thoroughly enjoyed the Paysanne omelet. Packed to the brim with ingredients. Bacon, potato, cheese and parsley. Very delicious. Home fries had a good texture. Not super crispy like they were deep fried but just a hint char from the flat top possibly. The Omelette was huge and well worth the value. We decided last minute to try to go early, get a walk in without resos and got lucky. From the sounds of it, they'll try to squeeze you in if they're full but probably a safer bet to reserve ahead of time. Thanks for the experience. Will definitely come again.

Fantastic spot for weekend brunch! My friend and I shared the blueberry pancakes, which were absolutely delicious—the perfect balance of fluffy texture and just the right amount of blueberries. We also tried the BLT, and it was an amazing mix of sweet and savory flavors that hit all the right notes. The interior has such a unique charm—it feels like stepping back into the ’80s, which I loved. Despite arriving on a busy Saturday around 2 PM, we were seated within just 15 minutes—a pleasant surprise! I can’t wait to come back and explore more of their menu, especially their smoothies!

The vegetarian dishes were good, lots of options (some with mock meat) & price was reasonable. We went in the late afternoon & ordered both from the dinner menu & dim sum menu, but the dim sum was not fresh. I find the restaurant’s hygiene concerning. Several tea cups were not cleaned properly with lipstick, there were flies flying around.

For a guy who spends at least 2 months a year in china 3 stars is even to high. No where near the dim sum of china. Just ok. I never have it in montreal but a friend invited us so I went. Really not worth the calories.

Nothing beats nostalgia with dimsum carts! The dimsum ladies pushing the cart were super nice and friendly. 10/10 for service. I’d come back only for the dimsum cart. Food was average - the soup dumpling was cold and a lot of the items were overpriced.

Food was good, but couldn’t compensate for the terrible quality of service we just encountered. We arrive at 9:15pm knowing that it closes at 10pm. They greet us by saying « we close at 10, be quick ». They set us up at the table, litteraly throw the menus on the table and say « order now, we close in 45 minutes ». Mind you, there are 2 different menus with a total of 25 pages with half of the items not having a price tag. 2 minutes later, the waiter comes and ask us to order now. We didn’t have time to look at the whole menu so we ask him to recommend us his favorites, he simply says « you order, not me », so i rapidly scroll the menu and point certain items that look nice. They bring all the food within 15 minutes and the bill as well saying that they need us to pay now. Due to the rudeness and quality of service, we leave an 8% tip. The waiter waits for the bill to print and starts shouting at us in an unknown language and then demands that we give him more money. We refuse and he continues shouting at us. I then calmly tell him that we will not give him more money so if he can leave us alone so we can eat and then leave. He then goes to other tables and starts trash talking us to other customers while pointing us with his finger. He proceeds to come 2 more times to scream and ask for more money to which i replied the last time that i do not care about whatever he’s saying and to leave us alone. He then proceeded to talking with people about us for the rest of the evening in front of us. We can safely say that this is the last time we will leave this restaurant as we will never come back.

Even though the food tasted good, I’m currently suffering from food poisoning after dining here. The service was absolutely terrible. We arrived 45 minutes before closing, and the staff allowed us to enter, which was fine, but they immediately rushed us. The hostess told us we had to order right away or we wouldn’t be served, and our waiter arrived just two minutes later, visibly annoyed and dismissive. His attitude was rude, and his communication was unclear. In general it was a real struggle to interact with the staff. Once our food arrived, another waiter came over and demanded that we pay the bill immediately, before we even had a chance to start eating. We found this extremely rude but complied. Given the poor service, we decided to leave an 8% tip. The waiter then confronted my boyfriend about the amount, arguing and acting disrespectfully. When my boyfriend tried to explain politely in French, the waiter began trash-talking us to nearby tables while we were still eating. He returned multiple times to harass us verbally and behaved aggressively, which completely ruined the meal. Overall, this was an unacceptable experience. The food might taste decent, but it’s certainly not worth the disrespect, harassment, and the food poisoning that followed.

My go to place for dim sum on weekends. Food is pretty good and portions are generous. Service is good and pricing is average but notice an increase in the last few months. In the evening we like to share 5 to 6 different dishes so we get to try different plates.

We had a great experience here; getting to taste high quality Chinese cuisine with a local person. We literally didn’t know what our friend was ordering, but we trusted he knew what he was ordering and what’s best to eat at this place. And in all fairness, everything he ordered was fresh, of high quality and tasty.

Bistro Nolah is a standout if you want spicy, soulful, New Orleans-style comfort food done well in DDO. It hits the right balance between authenticity and sophistication, has warm service, and delivers robust flavor. If you’re in the mood to treat yourself, this is a great choice. I’d go back, especially for brunch or for the blackened catfish + bread pudding combo. Staff are attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. From what I saw, they seem genuinely invested in the food and the guest experience.

It is an unforgettable and amazing experience from appetizer to dessert. We had Jambalaya and Southern fried chicken as appetizers. We had southern style beef short rib and Duck Conflict in dirty rice as main. We had Banana Pecan Cheesecake and Bread Pudding in Bourbon sauce as dessert. We emptied everything and we will definitely visit again.

The young lady handling the place settings and water service was incredibly attentive—our glasses were never empty, and fresh bread appeared without us asking. From the kitchen to the front of house, it was a true team effort, and it showed. Simply a “wow” experience from beginning to end. Highly recommended!

Amazing service, delicious food and easy parking in parking lot! I would recommend Bistro Nolah for southern dishes !! I came yesterday with a friend for the first time, and we tried the hush puppies, peach &beets salad as appetizers. Our main dish was the blackened Catfish (my favorite and good spices!!) and the Braised short ribs (Tender and tasty) both were very good! Comming back soon :)

Always a hit at Bistro Nolah! The food deserved a standing ovation. I had the lamb shank with oyster mushrooms and my wife had the seared scallops on a bed of sweet potatoe mash and pearled couscous. Service was also impeccable. Definitely recommend!

The name “Nolah” is a nod to NOLA (New Orleans, LA), and it’s a fitting tribute—the flavors truly capture the spirit of the region. The space is small and cozy, with a vibrant, energetic atmosphere. The lively background noise adds to the charm, creating a warm and animated dining experience without feeling overwhelming. The menu is compact, but each dish is thoughtfully crafted. We began with the jambalaya arancini, served with a deliciously spicy sauce that lingered pleasantly on the palate. For our main courses, we had the smoked brisket—exceptionally tender and beautifully seasoned—and the shrimp and grits. The shrimp had a bold, spicy profile, perfectly balanced by the smooth, comforting grit. Each bite was both satisfying and refined. To finish, we shared the banana cheesecake flambéed with Jack Daniel’s—rich, indulgent, and the perfect finale. Bistro Nolah offers a more upscale dining experience, and while it comes at a higher cost, the quality, attention to detail, and overall atmosphere make it well worth it. I would gladly recommend it for a special occasion or a memorable evening out.

5/5 would visit again. I wasn’t impressed with the crab cake appetizer. I enjoyed the shrimp and grits. The food surpassed the service. The waitress did not check in often so that meant getting our bill took a long time.

Definitely a must-visit establishment, of course for the food but also the vibes. Small place but great atmosphere. We went for a Patatine (poutine with cut raw veggies) and Grilled Cheese. Not a fan of Patatine as a concept (still wanted to give it a shot) but the poutine part of that was great. Grilled cheese was amazing. Would definitely visit again to try other things in the menu. Staff was great, super friendly and chilled. Couple of tables and bar seating available inside but many folks just did a takeout. Definitely recommended.

While the food was delicious and the smoke bowl was spectacular, it has a number of issues: 1. The restaurant floor is dirty, so is everything else. 2. Toilet and sink are unusable 3. Attendant was so rude. We ordered 3 plates of a menu, but the attendant served 2. When we asked for third he insisted repeatedly that we did not ordered third, instead he was blaming us. And indicated we were lying. This is not called good customer service. We will not recommend this restaurant and will never revisit.

Excellent little restaurant. Food is prepared right in front of you. Service is top tier and the food was amazing! We shared the Poutine classique (large shareable portion) CAD 11.00. The service is welcoming, kind and fast. If you’re visiting Montreal don’t deny yourself this experience. Great choice of beer on Tap. Best Poutine ever!!!!!!

Finally tried Patati Patata after all these years on a busy Friday evening. It’s next door to Bar Big in Japan. We lucked out and were able to grab seats at the counter. The inside is small with 12 seats. Workers were friendly and refilled waters. - Blonde ($7.00 pint) - Poutine classique ($11.00) - shareable between two. Decent but needed more gravy - Filets de sole panés ($15.00) - fish was tender. Fries were serviceable, salad was bland - Burger boeuf ($5.00) - bacon ($1.00) and cheese ($1.00). Basically a slider. Beef was salty

Fun, easy going casual spot for lunch, dinner or laye night after the bars. The workers navigate Françe and English with ease and a great attitude. Went twice in a few days! Patatine (Poutine with raw veggies) was delicious, also enjoyed the burger, grilled cheese and the tofu burger.

Out of all the places I ate in Montreal, this was my FAVOURITE poutine. Squeaky curds, with perfect ratios of cheese to gravy to fries. The portion was generous, you get so much for what you pay. I was more than satisfied after eating here. Service was super friendly and nice. I love the old school interior and being able to see the food made right in front of me. This location in particular is a MUST for poutine.

Patati Patata Friterie de Luxe is an absolute must-visit in Montreal! I went just before closing, and even though it was packed, the staff made sure I had a great experience. Hands down the best customer service so welcoming and accommodating! I tried the Mediterranean burger and the beef burger, both fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The cozy atmosphere and great vibes made the visit even better. It was easily the best stop I made in Montreal while visiting with friends. If you’re looking for delicious food and a friendly ambiance, this place is a must-try. Can’t wait to visit again!

Tried to look for a cafe that still opened after 5 PM in the evening while walking near the Mont Royal area and I found this cute cafe in the corner of the street. The staffs are really friendly, kind and engaging, even patiently explaining their menus to me. This cafe is really good and really cozy, especially for hanging out and for families that wants to relax and hang out. The atmosphere is really cozy and the outdoor is also really comfy. It makes you feel like you are in the nature away from the crowds and the city with a lot of plants and dense trees covering the top of the outdoor and with the Mont Royal background also. The food and the drink is amazing. I tried their in house chai tea, soups of the week, and a carrot cake. All of them are really good and all of them are made in house and fresh too. They have a sandwich which looks really good and I want to try that in my next visit. An overall a very good experienced and a very good cafe visit.

I ate here for a late lunch and the place is busy! If you here for the first time, I recommend to wait for a seating outside for the atmosphere. They have a small pond with some koi fish, so if you have kids, they will love it. Now I have mix reviews for the service but rated it highly as our waiter and the lady who checked on us were really great however the there was one lady that we were just asking for a menu to see it in advance and she answered "I'm not working right now" with a really rude tone of voice as she sounded fed up. For the food, we have ordered a sandwich and a salad along with a soup and they were all great! I ate the Triplex Saint-Urbain and it was really refreshing and hit the spot as I thought I wouldn't be satisfied with just a sandwich but I was wrong. The drinks we ordered the Santropol Chai and it was really good as well as the hibiscus lemonade. I definitely recommend to try this place however it seems to be very busy so you might need to wait especially for big groups!

Very lovely café, I love coming here to catch up with friends. I always end up taking the Soup du Jour, and I have not been disappointed yet. The drinks prices are very standard for a café in Montréal. What I prefer the most is the ambiance of the place. The staff is always friendly, the decor is very artsy and cozy, and the backyard adds another touch of nature that ties the whole together. I always come back around the sunset as the light is beautiful then. Will always recommend!

Amazing eclectic cafe! Had the honour of meeting and chatting with the owner Garth thanks to a geocache outside the back gate. Staff are awesome and friendly, sadly couldn't fit in any more than the excellent carrot cake and a Viennese coffee so soon after breakfast, but I would definitely return to try the other delights.

MY NEW OBSESSION CAFE IN MTL! 😍 the employees are amazing and so friendly, the pumpkin spice latte is phenomenal, and so are the sandwiches. The outdoor vibe is so serene and really gives an escape from the city.

This cafe is an experience. I'm he sandwiches are fulfilling and the beverages are on point. Reasonable quantity and price. I'd definitely visit again to try something new but I'm more into the place and how it's designed. Loved it !

Amazing dumplings! The flavors are so rich and vibrant, a lot of very good options to choose from. Served fast and fresh! Steaming hot and ready in a few moments, the kind and good service was always on point. Ideal for enjoying a nice and calming evening with friends or family, there are some tables for slightly larger groups too.

I recently visited Qing Hua Dumpling in Montreal’s Chinatown, and it was an absolute gem! The hospitality was warm and welcoming, with friendly staff making the experience even more enjoyable. Really yummy contemporary Asian food along with some traditional favorites. Take recommendations from the staff and enjoy some great new dishes.

If you're looking for dumplings, this is the place to go. My son went out with some friends and recommended this place to me so we decided to go have dinner. The dumplings are absolutely amazing and the prices are more than reasonable for what you get. I highly recommend the following ones, peanut butter dumplings, pork shrimp and coriander, beef and cheese, chicken and mushroom and the chicken and dill. We had a lot of different flavors and they were all delicious but these were my personal favorites. Keep in mind that they only serve dumplings so don't expect any sides like rice or noodles but that's okay as you get the opportunity to feast on many different flavors. They have two locations in Montreal, one located in Chinatown and this one that is closer in the downtown core. A must stop if you're in the area.

Delicious and exactly what I anticipated. We had 8 people on a Saturday evening, and were lucky to get a big table together. I had the curry beef dumplings + the chicken and coriander dumplings. I believe everyone in our group liked the curry versions of what they orderes best. The service was slick and friendly, and the price was reasonable for the food. The only downside was wait times for some to get their food. There were some people who came after we ordered and received their dumplings before us. There doesn't seem to be a real first come first serve system, which can be frustrating.

Very nice decor with lots of cachet. I adore the hibiscus 🌺 on the ceiling! Service was very fast and friendly. Lamb and coriander dumplings were delicious, really well flavored. We also enjoyed the peanut dumplings and cold peanut noodles. Hot and sour soup was goid, flavor was on the subtle side, not too strong or overly spicy, but there is chili oil on the table if you like to turn up the heat.

No complaints. Delicious dumplings and they prepare them very fast. My go-to dumplings are steamed Shrimp, Chive and Egg and fried Beef & Onion. I love that you can split your order to be half and half of whatever you like. Oh and try the cucumber salad, it’s delish. Very kind waitress and good atmosphere.

If you’re ever in Montreal this restaurant is an absolute recommendation! The interior and atmosphere is just so authentic and detailed. You take your shoes of and sit on little cushioned benches. There is no a la carte menu just couscous with different toppings to share. It’s going to be too much but don’t worry they have to go boxes and it tastes amazing the next day. After dinner we got complimentary mint tea (a bit on the too sweet side) but that’s how the do it back home. We enjoyed the food a lot and would definitely come back

Great experience and even better meal. The crew working were super friendly and examined the restaurant and how the menu or lack of menu works. The beef and dates were absolutely incredible, one of the best bites I’ve ever had. The mixed plate is a great option as the three dishes play off each other very well. Tip: Ignore the reviews complaining that you don’t get much food for the money, we left stuffed and the waiter mentioned that they portion it out for the number in your group but if you need more they will give you more. We didn’t need it.

This place was special. The food, the people, the atmosphere. We were welcomed by the chef. Checked on by the chef. And treated like we were their special guests (everyone in the restaurant got this treatment). My niece and I had one of the tastiest and happiest dining experiences in many years. And, the value is superb.

Wonderful dinner experience. Got the family style platter with assorted proteins. Came with lentil soup and a sweet mint tea at the end of the night. Great vibes. Make sure to wear socks as everyone took their shoes off in the dining room.

Absolutely amazing experience, gentleman who runs the restaurant was an absolute pleasure to deal with, offers gluten free and vegan options for his meals. Some of the best gf couscous I've ever had. Highly recommend the hibiscus drink he serves mid summer.

It was Fantastic! They were really sweet and patient with my daughter and the food was sooo good! I am usually a picky eater but their soup and couscous were delicious😍 especially the beef made with date sauce👌 The tea was good too but just a bit too sweet, so if you dont like your tea too sweet, remember to ask for no sugar. Really worth the price 🙌🏼 Also they dont have a menu they always serve the same thing,a small bowl of lentil soup for each as an entree with pita, then a big plate of couscous with sweet beef, chicken and veggies to share between everyone (the plate on the picture was big and for 5 persons). Finally tea and a little piece of some type of coconut “cake” I dont remember what they called it😅 anyways So so good ❤️ would recommend to go before 8 pm on weekends because it fills up fast

Absolute gem! La Khaima cuisine has a limited selection of items to chose from in the menu. Each item we ordered were absolutely delightful and tasted authentic. Best lentil soup and mint tea I've ever had. Shout out to the owner that made our group feel welcome while visiting over the long weekend. He not only made our experience in Montreal unforgettable, but also offered incredible insight to the bagels through his baking background. Highly recommend visiting.

Food was good. Service was really good. The music was really loud, it was sunday brunch at 11am, we had to scream to talk to each other. That kinda ruined the experience.

I booked a table on the weekend for 9pm then changed it to 6:30pm, they were very accommodating. The place is very nice, European style, the shrimps and calamari were mouth watering, and the paella is one of the best in town. The potion could be increased a little 😁. Highly recommended and would go back to try other items on the menu 🤩

We had reservations for 2 on a Saturday night. Our table was ready for us when we arrived. Street parking wasn't an issue and the restaurant was easy to find. We sat by the open window and found the ambiance to be really pleasant. The menu was not too big and had a good variety to choose from. We got many different plates and shared them all. They were out of the croquetas which we wanted to try. The ribs were so tender and just fell off the bone. Not one bit dry. Our favorite was the tartar de res and the fries. It took a bit of time to get our bill and pay, but other than that, the meals were well spaced out and we didn't feel rushed. We would definitely consider coming back here again, and hopefully we'll get to try the croquetas.

We came for Sunday brunch and we got a table right away, which was a lovely surprise. The waiters were very friendly and cheerful. The food was pretty good, although a bit pricey. The cocktails are strong so they are worth their money for sure ☺️

A tapas place in a residential area. A casual restaurant gives an impeccable service compared to a fancy fine-dining one. We were a bit clumsy with the Spanish menu, the passionate young Elaina patiently helped us to demystify every section on the menu. Then she has suggested three choices from the Platitos Frios, three from the Platitos Calientes and one from the Platos to share as tapas, also a bio white wine to pair with. The tapas was served two by two, plates, forks and knifes were changed after every serving. The delectable paella was served at the end.

The fantastic little brother restaurant of Tapeo, the restaurant that singlehanded you revived Villeray district. Along side this other gem of a place, Mesón, they’ve given life to entire neighborhood and should get some sort of royalty for each new place that opens. They didn’t pioneer Spanish food in Montreal but they certainly took it to a new level. Unlike Tapeo, that focus on tapas, Mesón presents typical Spanish dishes, the kind your grandmother would make if she was a fantastic cook and plated like Gordon Ramsay. You will eat well, you will drink well as well because of the carefully selected wine list, many of private import variety. Great vibe, decor, place is always jammed so book ahead. And to mention the fantastic brunch, which has been a great way to introduce people to restaurant. It is my favourite brunch place in town, I love the uniqueness and variety of the dishes (along with free use of chorizo in many menu items). Can’t speak highly enough of the second act they’ve accomplished with their brunch approach. Now during the day and at night, it’s well worth a visit...

Very accommodating staff!!! We were 30 minutes late for our reservation and they were more than happy to push it a bit further. The service was great and the Saturday brunch was even better!!! I recommend this place to anyone who wants a wholesome brunch with a good vibe in a nice environment 👌🏼

First time here today in over 20 years. It's a nice little restaurant , we came around 3pm, so there was plenty of space. The waiter was very friendly and efficient. We ordered 4 meals for our family and it was delicious. We will probably be back.

Food - 5/5 - My partner and I ordered an array of dishes and everything was served Fresh & hot. Good value for the large portions you get. Food was delicious and hot the spot. Service - 5/5 - Was promptly seated during the end of dinner rush. We got our food quickly. They helped us pack up the left overs and even provided plastic bags to wrap the containers so they don't leave, plus a small reusable bag to carry out multiple containers. Tea was provided. My partner, being of Chinese decent, was welcomed and asked if he spoke mandarin and the employees (maybe owner or related to owner) spoke with him. Atmosphere - 4/5 - It isn't the fanciest place nor does it have much for decor but it has the vibe of a good Chinese restaurant. Overall - 5/5 - I thoroughly enjoyed their food and service. Conveniently located in the heart of Chinatown & close to bus stops. I recommend giving them a visit if you are in Montreal and craving a good Chinese meal. With an expansive menu there should be items for all to enjoy.

If I could give zero stars, I would. This was easily one of the most unpleasant dining experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, the server was impatient and dismissive. He kept telling us to “hurry up,” and when we asked questions about the menu, his only response was, “Check the menu,” in a dismissive tone. It felt like we were bothering him just by being there. What made things even more uncomfortable was seeing how differently he treated other customers who came in after us. He was noticeably friendlier, more patient, and much more attentive with guests who appeared to share his cultural background. Honestly, it felt racially motivated. We left feeling disrespected and unwelcome, and we deeply regret wasting our time and money here. We won’t be coming back — and we wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone.

I had a group of 12 people yesterday, with 2 babies and 2 young kids. They made us feel very welcome and comfortable. Our lovely waiter was very kind and friendly to us. The food was delicious. We will definitely come back the next time we visit Montreal.

We were the only ones in the restaurant at 8pm on a Wednesday but that meant we had amazing service. Food was fresh and hot and yummy. Really yummy wonton and they serve it to you at the table. The wonton is shrimp and pork. The spring rolls (they don’t have egg rolls) are delectable. They’re not chopped cabbage they are shredded cabbage and mushrooms and they’re so yummy. Definitely recommend!

First time here and the food is delicious and so fresh! We ordered takeout and everything was speedy and smooth! I will try my best to come back the next time i’m in town. The service was amazing, the restaurant was tidy and the food was over satisfactory. I recommend this place very much!!

The food was a bit disappointing. I was very excited to hear this place had boat noodles as I fell in love with in when I was in Thailand. However, the broth was not good. It was very thick and foggy - looked like the broth was made without removing the meat scum. You can see it in the photo. We also had one of their dry noodles which had no flavour. The pork ball was alright, a bit on the mushy side. The beef/ pork slices were good though. It had a nice texture and flavour to it. I wouldn’t come back… it’s not worth the 20$ per bowl.

Very impressed! The noodle soup with beef broth was excellent—I was so full, and they wrapped it up perfectly to avoid any leaking. Beautiful presentation and great taste, with outstanding service. Even the takeout dessert was delicious and elegantly presented.

We’ve been to this place twice now, the fried chicken is absolutely great! We also tried the noodles and rice, but they’re not as special as the chicken. And don’t forget the Thai milk tea - it’s a refreshing treat. Overall, it was a great experience, and we’ll definitely be back!

That is the most authentic Thai food I have ever experienced in Quebec. As a person who had lived in Thai,I can say Pad Kra Pao is my favourite all time of this place💕💕And the papaya salad is exactly the same taste. But rice is sometimes undercooked in khao Man Gai steamed chicken. But overall is great 👍

Changing my review as the service quality is inconsistent despite the food being decent. Visited before a show yesterday, waited for a while after ordering, when the food is up they said the hainan chicken i ordered is out, it took them too long to inform me about it. I ordered green curry as they recommend changing into something with the same price, and chose rice instead of vermicelli. But when the dish came, it was with vermicelli. Also, different from last visit, the Thai milk tea is full of ice and got so diluted. Lastly, since they only accept payment ahead, we can’t really reflect this in tipping. Very disappointing service.

Fantastic lunch at a great spot, we asked for extra spicy (Thai level spice) and they delivered. Lots of variety on the menu so my girlfriend and I ordered several dishes each. Great relaxed atmosphere with a friendly and approachable staff - what more can you ask for other than great food, fast!

I like their papaya salad and Tom Yum soup noodles very much. But the portion is a bit small, and the three of us spent nearly $180.

What an amazing lunch! Located in the trendy Mile End neighborhood, Le Butterblume excels in service, atmosphere, drinks, and food. To eat, we ordered the leek salad, waffles with passion fruit cream, cream of broccoli soup, and the sando. Everything was full of flavor and so good. The waffles may be the best we've ever had. The lemonade and their strawberry sour were tasty too.

Great service and atmosphere, but the food was not worth the price. The menu looks interesting with cool flavor combinations but none of them actually turned out special at all. The eggplant tartine had bread that was too thick and large and covered the delicate flavors on top. The ravioli with chicken dashi soup didnt have a great texture and the main element that should have balanced it out (the dashi soup) didnt have any strong flavor and so the overall effect is a bad mix of textures without any standout flavors. The only thing we liked was the brioche, but even that wasnt all that impressive either. And the cocktails were similarly mediocre: the espresso martini was light brown with the taste of coffee barely present and was overall watered down. Overall an okay meal but wouldn’t come again considering we ended up paying $115 for two meals, two cocktails, a brioche entree and the tip.

We had the beef carpaccio which was spectacular. Along with the potato frittata, brioche and two cold pressed juices. All very beautifully plated and tasty but pricey and small portions. The restaurant itself was also super cute.

We especially enjoyed the pumpkin burnt cheesecake—a delightful sweet dish that perfectly encapsulates the flavors of the season. Rich and creamy, with a beautifully charred top that added a depth of flavor. The spiced caramel cream infused each bite with warm, inviting spices. It was topped with sweet and salty pumpkin seeds that provided a wonderful crunch and balance, and a buttery crumble enhancing the flavor profile of the dish. The salmon and spinach feuilleté beautifully combined flaky pastry with rich, tender salmon and vibrant spinach. Covered with a creamy béchamel sauce and a perfectly cooked sunny-side-up egg. During our visit, we were pleasantly surprised by the super-fast and friendly service. We were in and out within just 40 minutes, which is a remarkable feat considering the quality and attention to detail in each dish. The staff was attentive and welcoming, creating a warm atmosphere that made our brunch even more enjoyable.

We ordered following menus for three; Tacos with porks and pineapple Tacos with shrimps Tacos with beef,onion and coriander Plate of shrimps Guacamore and chips (large size) 3 drinks I liked Tacos with beef the most. Each of us payed $35 before tips.

Another tasty taco spot! We ordered delivery and tried the Al Pastor, beef fajita-style tacos, and the carnitas. The Al Pastor and carnitas were definite winners—super flavourful and juicy. Both the red and green salsas were delicious, and the guacamole was fresh and really well-seasoned. Everything held up great for delivery, but next time, we’ll try dining in to get the full experience!

Absolutely amazing Mexican restaurant. Everything we had was top notch: fantastic pozole soup, amazing burrito and the BEST tacos AND mojito I've ever had. The compliments this restaurant gets are very well deserved. Big thanks to our waitress, Ines. She answered all our questions and was just pretty cool overall. Amazing service.

First time trying this place. I liked the decoration and everything is very clean although they should turn the heater up since it was chilly inside. I ordered huevos con chorizo and found that they do not have the original mexican taste, they used some spice that made them taste like saffron or cardamom. I also tried the omelette tamalera which was pretty good. They have good cafe de olla and other regular coffee options. The service was fast and good. We spent $55 with tip. They have a small rack with second hand clothes at fair price.
