Great Little Place to grab lunch. Although i was tempted by the name...I love piadinas ....I had an Amazing base salid with all the vegan options. The outdoor seating in a Little side street on a Hill was the perfect Malta atmosphe for lunch. Note. Tables are small... Perfect for two. Also you have tò get a Little use to eating sideways ...or if you are in the chair facing down the Hill... Its like getting a slight squat workout pushings back so your chair does not slide down the Hill. All in all, i recommed the Piadina Caffè for lunch. The salid was really nice and the staff are really friendly.

We’ve been there a couple times in our stay in La Valetta and totally worth it. The vibe is super nice. They have draught beer and the food is simple but really nice (ask for recommendations).

I recently visited Piadina Café & Pizza and had a wonderful experience. The menu isn’t very large, but everything is prepared with great care and tastes fantastic. Their pizzas are offered in three different styles, which is a nice touch, and the salads are absolutely huge and fresh. The atmosphere is really charming – the café is located on a narrow, steep street, which adds a unique and cheerful vibe to the place. Service is attentive and friendly, and the prices are very reasonable. Overall, it’s a cozy spot with excellent food and a warm atmosphere – definitely worth a visit!

Among the many (quite similar) places in the area, this one stands out for the exceptionally good service and nice relaxed atmosphere. We were a party of 5, we were seated ina "creative" but comfortable way on the sidewalk, and had our drinks customized to out taste. Recommended!

Great drinks, pure alcohol drinks with too many choices especially in gin (that we tried) for all kinds of wallets. The owner ( Ralph )is a very nice guy with too much hospitality in him. He respects ppl and he is making your time there great! I recommend that place if you visit Malta. If I will visit Malta again I will come back to that place for sure.Thanks a lot Ralph for making us love that place and for your hospitality.

Better not go there. Stressful place. Very poor quality food and service. Took very long, they said 10min but it went 50min. They even forget the salom on my salmon sandwich…

It's a very typical tourist restaurant in the heart of valletta. We chose to seat in a table which had three chairs but they told us that was to big for two people, and finally send us in a tiny table with two chairs which had space onpy for two plates and a salad, not even to put our phones on it. The atmosphere isn't good while too many people walking aroumd you and the lack of fans make it uncomfortable to stay there for time. I think that all restaurants in those street are similar. So, try to find a restaurant out of this zone.

Terrible food experience! I’ve never tried anything worse. • Pasta with octopus was awful: the octopus tasted sour and bitter, clearly not fresh, and I almost threw up. The pasta itself was overcooked and broken apart. • Pasta with mushrooms was drowning in oil and had a terrible smell. • Pasta carbonara was tasteless, with a sauce that seemed like it came from powder – absolutely not real carbonara. The only Italian thing there seems to be the names of the dishes. And to make it worse, there was no toilet available. The only positive part was the waiters – they understood our complaints, were friendly, and offered to change the dish. We switched to a Caesar salad, which was of course better than the pasta (hard to mess up a salad), but still far from delicious. Anyway, thanks to the waiter for trying. I strongly do not recommend this place if you don’t want to ruin your Maltese food experience. I hope the manager or owner reads this and considers changing the chef and improving the kitchen, because the place itself looks nice and the music wasn’t bad.

To begin, we came on what we hoped was a lovely evening, instead we were deeply disappointed. Three of our group ordered the pasta which came far too thick for a tagliatelle and it was tasteless. Microwaveable food would’ve been more enticing. The mushroom sauce was particularly bland, and then there was NO salt and pepper on the table to make up for this. The spaghetti aglio had enough garlic to ward off a vampire, definitely not one for a first date if anyone was considering. Moreover, the nachos were stone cold with stale chips, squirty cheese, guacamole that had definitely never come in contact with an avocado and a random ‘garnish’ of raw onion on top. It was practically inedible for €12. On the whole, awful experience, WILL NOT BE RETURNING.

Disappointing vegan burger. Pay almost 15 Euros and it looks a bit sad with hardly any salad. It costs nothing to add a tomato and extra lettuce especially to make the eating if the dense vegan burger easier and more refreshing. The chicken burger had a lot of salad and looked more like a small meal.

The restaurant is well located in Valletta. Some of the dishes weren’t quite to our taste. The Soul Bowl was mostly rice with little vegetables and the pasta with mushroom sauce didn’t fully convince us. However, we really enjoyed the piadina. We had asked beforehand about taking leftovers with us, but unfortunately our food was cleared away before we got the chance. On the positive side, the 2-for-1 cocktail happy hour offers great value.

Menu looked appealing. which was the reason why we chose this restaurant. I ordered the Bruschetta cacao e Pepe as a starter, and a Piadina style wrap. My partner ordered a Buddha Bowl. After at least a thirty minute wait, both the starter and main course arrived at the same time. The Bruschetta that arrived definitely wasn’t the one that we’d ordered, so we sent it back and it was supposed to have been an appetiser. The waiter apologised for the delay and told us that the reason for the delay was that the kitchen was very busy. Were they suddenly taken by surprise that with a nearly full restaurant in Summer, they may be busy and had never experienced this happening ever before? The solution. Either hire more kitchen staff to cook food quicker or reduce the number of tables you’re attempting to serve in the restaurant. Other serious issue. The restaurant shares a single toilet cubicle, for both male and female customers, between the two other adjoining restaurants, which are all operated by imPasta. There was a line of ten people waiting when I wanted to use the toilet. This is unacceptable.

Be aware that the menu shown on Google is not up to date. I was looking forward to a healthier option in this area but left very disappointed. The dish lacked any flavor. The hummus was bland, the rice was mushy, and the cooked vegetables were diced into unappetizing pieces.

We just popped by for some post dinner drinks because of the live music. Fantastic fun, good value spirits and a fabulous place to end an evening. So much fun. Well done guys

Amazing cocktails and even better service. After complimenting the bartender on my espressos martini, he made me another on the house which was such a perfect ending to my day sight-seeing.

Excellent and genuinely friendly staff! Huge selection of salads for affordable prices. I got a delicious salad to go for only 5 euros. Also had a chocolate croissant, yoghurt with fresh fruit and an orange juice. Everything very fresh and it tasted as good as it looked!

Staff were so helpful. Stopped for coffee and returned for lunch. Coffee was great. For lunch we shared a small bowl of mixed salads, topped with halloumi and some slices of bread on the side. Plenty for 2. And delicious too.

Fast, healthy, fresh and tasty. Lo In the main tourist area and with a very reasonable price. Less than 10 euros per person. You cannot ask more :-)

Lovely little restaurant with spirit in heart of Valeta. Amazing experience; tried tasting menu with wine pairing. Recommend as you'll try many typical dishes, well done prepared and delicious. Staff very friendly and attentive. Pasta dishes delicious, the fish as well, rabbit was also the same level. It's expensive but if you want to treat yourself, good choice.

What an amazing place, a great way to end our day in Valetta. Tucked away on the corner of a street just off the main thoroughfare of Republic St, you go down into the restaurant and almost back in time, a very nostalgic, quaint, intimate setting. We booked and good thing too with only 5 tables. But the food was incredible, service excellent and a truly great experience. The Octopus starter was exceptionally good.

We had a wonderful welcome in this beautiful restaurant. We opted for the land and sea tasting menus, with 1 paired wine for the land. The wine was delicious. The food was nice and the outstanding dish was the root vegetable lasagne. We felt several courses were very under seasoned, and the seabass course lacked any flavour. That said, we enjoyed the evening, and Femi the waiter was excellent. The food and wine were very reasonably priced.

We had a fantastic experience at Guze. The manager was friendly and helpful and explained each of the dishes and best wines to pair with them. The amuse bouche was a cauliflower soup, local bread and a tomato pesto, incredible! The black pig and the octopus starter were exquisite in display and taste and the main courses of veal and and the local fish, just perfect. The atmosphere atmosphere was lovely, tucked away in one of Valletta’s charming old buildings. Couldn’t recommend it more highly, worth going out of your way to dine here! Thank you!

Stunningly good in every respect! This was our second visit a year after the first having remembered the warm welcome and good food in this wonderful place. We tried the tasting menu, 5 courses with wines and were just blown away. All helped by a great host, amazing food, and the tiny entrance which makes you feel like you're entering another world (well it did me at 6'4"). We'll be back again.

Horrible smoothies. Half of the ingredients were not fresh. The strawberries tasted unnatural and like industrial strawberry powder. We ordered 5 different tastes. Flu, energy, pearl, beet and etc. from all if them only the pearl tasted something bearable and natural. Overall staff were slow. Doesn’t worth the price. 👎👎

Went there for the first time and had the very best smoothie I've ever tasted so far. True, I haven't had too many smoothies in my life yet but this one was delicious. The server in charge was very kind and quick and did a good job making me a future customer. Given the fact that I was kinda thirsty I had overlooked the incredibly good looking food options they offered. Can't wait to come back. :) Thank you!

The juices are excellent, had the flu fighter juice twice. The staff is very friendly. I tried the raw bar ‚snickers‘ which sounded amazing but barely had any taste to it. Would always come back for the juice though.

It’s amazing first off. It’s the kind of place you nip past if you need a quick energiser or nice cold smoothie. It’s all fresh fruit and veg and you’ve also got green and protein options available. They also take Apple Pay/contactless which is super useful. I believe they also have a loyalty program which is convenient especially if you plan on passing this place quite often. The actual drink I bought was strawberry energiser which included pears and bananas! You can get a large or a regular. The regular cost me about €5.20 which is fairly reasonable considering it is all fresh and tastes absolutely delicious! The price varies on what style of drink you choose. But due to this price my girlfriend and I shared one regular. They also do special items in their menu such as milk and soy with oats to create a porridge, protein shakes and even soup! The staff were really friendly and well spoken in their English which is always very comforting. There is also no seating at the time of posting this but might change in summer due to holiday-goers. I came here February 2020 and it was quiet so I can imagine in the summer this place will be positively teeming with clientele. Definitely worth trying if you are going by during the hot weather or you need to quench your thirst while trekking around Valletta! Wish I had a Dr. Juice in the UK!

The juice is good…but I was waiting for 30 minutes and still nothing.

Great place for smoothies and other juice based drinks. They do a great selection including protein rich and hangover cures. This particular outlet is quite small and the range of drinks is a bit limited compared to others I've been to, however, they still had my favourite so all's good 👍.

The guy running this business is just so rude. It's hard to encounter someone who's so rude in Melta to be honest.

We got food from this place twice during our stay. The first time we went to the restaurant and the second time we ordered breakfast using bolt. Both meals were delicious. The staff were extremely friendly. I highly recommend checking it out. I was also super happy to have a vegan croissant , among the other tasty options

First time visiting Malta and as vegans wanted to find somewhere that was fully vegan if possible. Welcome Bowl entered the chat! 😆 We had the madras and a kebab; both tasted amazing and the seasoning was well balanced. For dessert we shared a piece of carrot cake and had some cocktails. I loved the wall that was championing women 🤩Our servers were so lovely; Sivi in particular deserves a special mention as he served us the most and was adorable 🥰 He mentioned the owners lived in the UK, where we are from, and I thought the business is in great hands then! We also had a complimentary mixed bean dip which was very tasty. This is one of the BEST places we have eaten. Don't walk; run....get to Balance Bowl. We will be visiting again before we leave. 🥰

Great restaurant. 😌 I had the protein bowl — everything was seasoned to perfection down to the last detail. As a bonus, the restaurant’s interior was very nicely designed. We spent 7 nights locally and ate in here 3 times. Absolutely fabulous plant based/ vegan food. Their Seitan is amazing in flavour. Really helpful, friendly and professional staff and the atmosphere is lovely. Nice to sit outside but inside is also nice.

I’d been dreaming of visiting Balance Bowl before our trip to Malta - and it was every bit as amazing as it looks in the photos! Every flavor hit perfectly, and both the atmosphere and service were top-notch. We tried two different bowls, the schnitzel, cauliflower steak, and kebab - I tasted them all and honestly couldn’t pick a favorite. We were a group of five, and since most tables are for two or three people, I definitely recommend making a reservation if you’re coming as a group. We’ll absolutely be back! 🥙🫶🏼

The founders are the sweetest! And loved every single thing I tried. The menu is curated really well for vegans / vegetarians. Highly recommend the Cauliflower Steak and Korean Gyoza Poke Bowl. Burst of flavours!

Tired and in desperate need of quality scran, we Googled and found 'Balance Bowl' and what a feast we had. Flavoursome, fresh food, cooked and served by people who love what they do, in a welcoming creative space. I have not one complaint. No wait, I do - I was so full by the portions offered that there was no space left for desert! Both my meat eating partner and me left with large smiles on our faces ready to take on the rest of the day. A gem that everyone who visits Malta must experience. Oh, and it happens to be vegan which is irrelevant as everyone who eats here will love it.

We took the Beyond meat burger with fries on the side. The vegan meat was overdone. The fries were over-fried (but big portion). The bun was cheap and overall the burger not that tasty. All in all it wasn’t an inspired decision, where and what to eat, 2 people, for 23 eur. Maybe the falafel is better, I’ll never know for sure though.

Although they are located on a parking lot, the street is not very busy and you have a great view over the marina at the city walls of Valletta. The food is good and always freshly prepared! They offer a good variety of vegetarian and vegan options like Falafel and "Beyond Meat" burger patties.

I lived in the Middle East for several years and I am glad to report that these chaps are the closest yet to the real deal. Friendly and welcoming service and a pleasant view of the marina add to the charm of this unpretentious eatery; it punches well above its weight.

Food is excellent, staff are polite can opt to sit and enjoy the atmosphere or take away. Decent prices.

A bit of a hidden spot, but definitely worth visiting to try their different pizzas. The atmosphere is very cozy and perfect for sharing a nice time with friends. The staff is wonderful (we were served by a Chilean girl who made the experience even better — super kind and attentive to our table). The pizzas were delicious and generously sized, with very fresh ingredients and a thin, crispy crust. One of the best options for pizza in Malta — highly recommended!

Hidden behind a green door and go a bit underground (in Malta you are never sure). We only tried their 4 cheese pizza and it tastes ok, not so impressive. They speak perfect english and have very friendly service. The place is also very cozy and well decorated.

We got here just before the peak hours on a Sunday and everything was fantastic. my friends and I had a good time. they are serving wines and coffee too. the food was great and will definitely come back to try the others from the menu.

Sotto Pinsa Romana Valletta is a great spot for pizza and beer. Tried the pecorino with honey and walnuts and Diavola pizza- solid picks. Service was friendly, pizza was tasty, and I’d come back.

Dani & Giacomo were really helpful and the sweetest guys ready to serve and help us with our choices. Pizzas were amazing and tasteful. Also don’t forget to try their classic tiramisu as well as the pistachio one!

Absolutley great gluten free Pinsa made by Paolo!!! (Pinsaolo :-D ) We really enjoyed it!! All waitresses and waiters were really nice and attentive! Not cheap - for gluten free it's 5€ extra per Pinsa, but it's written on the menu, so we knew it before and the restaurant is located near de center of Valetta, so there's nothing to cry about it! ;-)

Pinsa was great, they also serve nice wine. The restaurant feels Italian, with the decor and music. Minus one star for being approached by two different servers and asked about drinks in the span of literally two minutes

Had the best experience here on a trip to Valletta. The staff were so welcoming & super helpful when deciding what to eat. They brought out the fresh fish to show us what we would be eating which was a nice touch! The restaurant itself is beautiful & full of character. The food was incredible & very reasonably priced! The seafood platter (one of the specials on offer) was the highlight for me, everything was full of flavour & cooked perfectly. Would highly recommend this restaurant if you’re in the area!

The service in Palazzo Preca deserves 6 stars. I was well looked after and advised about portion size etc. I loved the wild mushroom soup. The seafood risotto was salty and when I was asked whether it was ok, gave an honest comment. Straight away the dish was whisked off and replaced later with something less salty. The lemon meringue tart was lovely.

This was truly one of the best experiences we’ve had. The staff were outstanding—special thanks to Orhan for his exceptional service. The food quality is first-class: fresh, flavorful, and absolutely worth trying. Their daily fresh seafood is a must-have on the table. It was also a thoughtful gesture to bring us their special olive oil, which made the experience even more memorable.

Cannot fault this place. The food, wine, cocktails, service and atmosphere were great. Would highly recommend. The rabbit livers in sherry, mushrooms on brioche, seafood pasta dish and the seafood plate were all amazing.

A very classy place with great prices and a wonderful atmosphere. The food was amazing, we were offered some starters on the house, as well as a limoncello at the end of dinner, which is a lovely touch. All the waiters were very present, helpful and nice. We would recommend this to both tourists and locals.

Amazing culinary experience! My wife and I arrived at Valletta, Malta as part of a cruise vacation, and we wanted to experience the local food and flavors. Locals have directed us to this restaurant, and what an experience this was! One of the owners (which appear to be a local celebrity chef) has served us the most amazing meal: started with fresh baked buns and Aljotta (very rich and flavorful fish soup), continue with grilled Rabbit with rich sauce as main, and for desert we had the Imqaret pastries. If you happen to visit Valleta (a beautiful city!) I strongly recommend visiting this restaurant that is located on a picturesque small street.

Pizzas were great, I would say even excellent (Margherita and Diavola). House wine was good as well. Free WiFi provided, service is prompt. Portions aren't large thus expect that one pizza is suitable for one person. The annoying thing is that the waiter is asking to choose tips percentage (5-25%) on the terminal upon payment by card. I'm always leaving a tip in the restaurants with a good service and tasty food, but the forced demand for the tip always ends with minus one star. This is why my rating is only four instead of five stars.

Everything was fantastic. The staff was all lovely. And the food! The pinse crust is my favorite and the topping combinations were perfect. I tried the Sotto. Highly recommended! My friend had the Parmigiana. It was just as good. I couldn’t not mention the pecorino melted and topped with honey and pistachios. The sangria was also the best we had in Malta. I’ll be craving a return to Sotto until my next visit to Malta.

Only 30 seats but if you’re privileged to find one you will get the most amazing pizza in Malta. Fresh ingredients and very friendly staff! If we had more time we would come back!

The Cacio e Pepe pizza is amazing. I’m lactose intolerant and took 10 lactaid pills and prayed they would work haha! The pizza is delicious and this is coming from a couple who just spent a week in Italy eating top notch pizza. Service is friendly and attentive too. Free WiFi! Nice fan to keep yourselves cool while eating.

I visited Aaron’s Kitchen with my family and we had an absolutely wonderful time. I’ve always thought that Michelin-recognized restaurants come with very high prices, but here the menu is surprisingly reasonable, with “normal” prices for truly outstanding food. The dishes were excellent – beautifully prepared, full of flavor, and simply delicious. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making it perfect for both a family outing and a special evening. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy top-quality food without the intimidating price tag often associated with fine dining.

Great meal and service. 100% book a head and reserve a table very popular restaurant. We shared the rabbit patties, gorgeous as starter. I had the pork ribs my wife had the duck breast. Both cooked to perfection. The wine selected by our waiter very good as our 1st choice was out of stock.

Great place for dinner. We made reservations and we easily scheduled in at 7:30pm. Not a lot of people dining at first. Great service. We were brought our drinks, delicious bread, and appetizers daily quickly. Then our meals. We ordered the rabbit stew. Delicious. Also had one of the specials for the day, the Prawn Aracini. Both were delicious. Rabbit was tender and full of delicious sauce. I recommend an early dinner if possible. The restaurant started to get filled with people around 8:30pm. I noticed most had reservations. A few people who did not have a reservation were offered outdoor seating which was not bad either.

Our first dinner in Valetta. We didn’t have a booking but we were there early enough to get a table inside. It was very warm outside so we were glad they had a spare table inside. So, yes best to book in advance so you can enjoy their food. I ordered the duck as my main & it was delicious. My husband ordered from their specials list & ordered the fish. I had a bite & that was great as well. There were complimentary bread and my meal came with potatoes so we were stuffed.

Aron's Kitchen was one of the highlights of our trip. We looked it up before and as it had great rating decided to book a table. The atmosphere of the place is lovely, we loved sitting outside. The service is impeccable, our waitress was over and beyond, she treated us so well. It was 7 of us but the food came quickly and none of the plates did dissapoint. The Frito Misto was heavinly. All of the plates very delicious, so well prepared and presented. This place is a must go place if you are around! Couldn't recommend it more! If I ever go back to Malta I will def visit again!

Where should I start? The food is was absolutely incredible. The mussels were the freshest I have ever eaten and the lobster was juicy and sweet, the tagliatelle sauce was creamy and complimented the lobster really well, the dish was well balanced and each mouthful was a pure delight. The chef even prepared some iteration of chicken nuggets and chips for my sister as she does not enjoy sea food. The desserts were to die for, the pistachio crème brûlée was delectable, the espresso was of the highest quality and i’d say a light to medium roast (if that’s more your thing i guess) i could not fault any of the food or drink. Moving on to the service, the lady that looked after us was nothing short of attentive and professional. She was informative without being overbearing and ensured we were wanting for nothing throughout our experience here. The manager (i think) was a delight too, he was very knowledgeable about the stock he kept behind the bar, as a bartender i couldn’t help but be impressed by his attentiveness and passion for his job. We come to malta every year to visit family, i think we have found our new spot to visit every time we come to valletta. We cannot thank you all enough!

Aaron‘s kitchen was lovely. The food was delicious and the Service was great. Joell took care of us the entire evening, very sweet and attentive. The only reason why I am rating „food“ as a 4 star instead of 5 is because the bottle of prosecco we ordered wasnt really cold. Otherwise great all around! Would definitely recommend.

My partner and me, we were absolutely thrilled! First they gave us a nice table even dough it was all reserved. They gave us some appetizers - grilled bread with fresh paste made of beans, black olives seasoned with garlic and pepper. Delicious! We arrived to Trabuxu Bistro on a late Wednesday evening, and they gladly accepted our group of seven people. The atmosphere and decoration inside the restaurant was beautiful. The menu was varied, coupled with an extensive wine list. If you love wine, you’ll absolutely love it here. Before the starters came in, we were served some fresh bread with a homemade butter / red pesto which was amazing. I had a bruschetta for starters, hands down the best I’ve ever had. Even simple things can be amazing when done the right way. For the main course, I had the pasta of the day, which was a rabbit ragu, which was good. All in all, the food was great and so was the wine. Our waiter was really fun and helpful. The only negative aspect of our dinner was the waiting time for the main courses, which I also accept considering that we were seven. Come here if you want good food and wine in Valletta!

As a British maltese I can truly say the food is authentic cooked in house amazing fresh pasta ! Fresh pesto and amazing nuts served with the meal. True maltese food!! 10/10

I went to this restaurant twice time to attend to a clients. The interior, food, and service were all really great, and my clients were also very satisfied 😊 Everything here is seasoned just right, especially the rabbit meat that is usually served in red wine stew, but here you can enjoy it in white wine stew, so be sure to order it. Both waiters and waitresses always provided the best service, giving me the time to translate and explain things to my clients. I will definitely visit again, thank you so much 😊

This is considered to be one of the best restaurants in Valletta, although I wouldn’t agree. The food was good but average. We started our meal with the cod fritters as a starter, couldn’t taste the fish. I had the risotto with bone marrow which was a bit bland. My partner had the rigatoni with sausage which was good but again, not amazing. As for the service, we believe that it could have been better, it felt a bit rushed but also forgotten about. As for the atmosphere, it is well decorated but small.

My favourite meal when in Valletta! I had the rabbit stew, to try the local cuisine, and I was very happy with my choice! The dish itself could have been hotter, but the spices you could taste was excellent! Delicious dessert too! Overall, definitely come here to try Maltese dishes. It has a very French feel, but is a lovely place. No outdoor seating though!

Fantastic food and great service! We had the Mediterranean chicken pasta, the rabbit with potatoes, and finished with the date pastry and ice cream – everything was absolutely delicious. The service was spot on, making the whole experience even better. Highly recommend!

The yogurt bowl is tasty. The English breakfast is just ok for this price. (I asked them to take away the meat.) The sour bread is a little bit disappointing, but it’s a cute place with a lot of locals hanging out here. Great atmosphere.

Fabulous place. Looks like old timey cafe. Food is amazing. I had widow’s soup (photo attached) which was awesome as was the duck stew (which I failed to picture because I quickly devoured it). Great spot in heart of Valletta old town.

Great little neighbourhood bar, café, resto. Came here for breakfast as near my hotel. Frequented lots by locals coming for coffee and bites. The English Breakfast was good.

A very beautiful and laid back place to grab some coffee. They have some food options as well. I had the pulled pork sandwich with cheese and it was good especially the toasted bread. For dessert i had the walnut tart that came with some hazelnut ice cream. It was very tasty. The place is very clean and you can tell the interior was designed and made with love. It is also sittuated in the heart of Valletta so if you visit Valletta definitely go here.

The flavors, presentation, service, everything was top notch! This place deserves Michelin recognition & we will be back again before we leave (not to mention every time we visit from here on out)! The Crispy Spinach Chaat, Aloo Tiki with Saffron Oil, & Kashmiri Rogan Josh are not to be missed!

We had such a wonderful evening at this restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. A very special thank you goes to our waiter Hemu – he was incredibly kind, attentive, and welcoming. You could truly feel that he enjoys what he does. He packed up our leftovers so nicely and even surprised us with naan twice, completely on the house – such a thoughtful and rare gesture. Absolutely amazing experience! The food is bursting with flavor, the naan is the best I’ve ever had, my absolute favourite The Crispy Spinach Chaat, and the cocktails are superb. The staff are warm and attentive, and the atmosphere is elegant yet welcoming. A must-visit in Malta! Fabulous meal in Valletta.. Salmon with Masala Rice was so flavoursome with the Mango and Apple. The South Indian beef was so tender, definitely recommend. Great sized portions too. Staff were polite and friendly

13 September 2025 Superb North indian style cuisine . Had a delicious meal at Naan Bar, Valletta. I wanted a hot chicken curry and the Manager, Himanshu, obliged by asking the chef to make me a hot madras. This was full of the flavours of North India. Prawn mango curry - mildly tangy and not overwhelmingly sweet as these curries often turn out in most indian restaurants. Veg Biryani and Nan bread also excellent Got to see their downstairs dining area which was well laid out. Large window allowed a view of the kitchen and chefs at work ( always a good sign that the management is confident of its hygiene standards and diners can clearly see that all the good is freshly cooked . Staff were welcoming, polite and helpful. Overall a really good dining experience and I have to say that the quality of the food was as good as some of the best indian I have had.

Very busy and although I hadn't booked the managed to fit me in. The service was great, the food was wonderful, matching the aroma outside as you approached! I'll book next time. I recommend you do the same.

We were really pleased with the food. We ordered from both the Asian and Italian menus and everything was delicious. The variety of dishes was excellent.

Love it here for snacks and a food shop for self catering! We got a delicious pizza from one outlet (ricotta, spinach, honey and walnuts) and timpana from another stall. Both delicious and washed down with a couple of pints of ice cold Cisk! 🤩

Toilets are top floor top right and you need to purchase food to get the code for the loo door,, which is guarded by the Knights of Delhi.. You can't just pop in here for a pee folks. We didn't we actually went for the food.... So many top choices in lovely air con environment. Will get very busy but is a great place for all around the world foods.. Top little venue.

The food market has a lot of different restaurants with a variety of cuisines to offer, and we opted for the Konak kebab place. It was something worth trying for the flavor and the price. The lamb meat they offer tasted amazing.

Valletta food market- it is like a food court. So many venders, different cuisines for any sophisticated pallet. I like this kind of concept because everybody can choose different meals but still eat it under one roof, at same table. Don’t miss it out!

The octopus in garlic was great. Momo from Nepalese corner too. Good air conditioned place to eat. Kinda food court.

Perfect spot! I had the pleasure of dining at this wonderful Tuscan restaurant, the warm and rustic ambiance made us feel like we were in the Italian countryside. The menu is a celebration of traditional Tuscan cuisine. The staff was very friendly, attentive, and professional. Highly recommended!

Stumbled upon this restaurant entirely by default after visiting the beautiful Casa Rocca Piccola on Republic Street. Was not overly hungry but made my way over here for a light lunch come mid afternoon and was ushered in graciously. Settled for Antipasto al Italiana which was akin to an expertly put together charcuterie board with a strikingly well balanced assortment of cold cuts, cheeses and vegetables, all drizzled with the most divinely imaginable olive oil. A palate tantaliser to be sure of and the presentation scored well too. The star turn over here however was the 'subtle' taste which lingered long after the meal-of- sorts was over and here lies the acid test of finely prepared cuisine. Quality over 'style'. Perhaps those dreadful restaurants with their questionable Michelin ratings should take note? A sigh goes up for their likes! Resolved to dine over here expansively but unfortunately the same could not materialise. The Calamari Ripieni was credited with a special recommendation from the chef but I suppose the same will have to wait till I visit Malta next! The best things in life come in unassuming packages and La Giara does just that from the little I have sampled of its fare. Taste over style- and in this insufferablly pretentious age of ours that's saying a lot.

The ragu was rich in flavour, but was very under seasoned, and the nduja dish lacked any real flavour or depth, however, the tagliatelle was fresh. The lighting in the restaurant was very bright, lacked ambience, and actually felt a little depressing. Neither of the servers took the time to talk through any of the menu or make any recommendations, which was less than ideal, since 80% of the menu did not have dish descriptions, and there were only two other people dinning at the time. When our mains were brought over, our bread basket and used side plates were not taken away, which did not leave us with much space on what was quite a small table. Overall not a very pleasant dinning experience, and felt like a wasted night out in the beautiful city of Valette, which has such an array of great restaurants.

Very good Italian restaurant. Food is fresh and it is obviously made there and then which means you might have to wait to get your food but it is worth the wait. The menu is varied so everyone is sure to find something they like.

Really good Italian restaurant just outside the heart of La Valletta. Delicious fish dishes, you definitely must try the Calamari Ripieni. You cannot get out of here without trying a Cannolo!

The best food we've had so far in Malta, although we're here for two weeks now. The athmosphere is cozy and friendly, staff is helpful, and the food is really amazing. All over this place is second to none. We will surely be back.

Very interesting, nice, classy restaurant with a unique location over the bay. An experience in any weather. Good food and extremely friendly service. The impression is somewhat spoiled by unnecessarily loud music with very poor quality reproduction.

Capo Crudo is a good option for sea food lovers. I enjoyed the seabass carpaccio. The octopus was served in a generously sized portion and pretty decent as well, though I felt it was a little overdone. Great views of Sliema across the water from the big glass windows. PS: if Google Maps is having issues routing you to the restaurant, look for the stairs next to a small kids play park.

A beautiful lunchtime view! Highly recommend. Featured in 2020’s Michelin guide but the chef has since changed. The carbonara is no longer served in the cheese wheel - a shame but delicious none the less. The Genovese Shellfish pot was a star! Juicy, fat mussels are the highlight. Fresh, warm bread to dunk in the sauce was moreish. House Prosecco was crisp and went down a bit too easily! I can’t remember the name of my cocktail but it was a cherry, lime, sour, sweet, refreshing libation. Service was polite and friendly. The views are incredible! Restaurant ia large, airy and has interesting art mannequins. Recommend!

We had an amazing time at Capo Crudo. Great cocktails (they have a lot of amazing Gin’s) and the food recommendation from our waiter Inuka was great. We had some oysters and beef tartare for starters and the catch of the day as a main which was incredibile.

Amazing restaurant in Valletta, right on the coast. It has an amazing view of the sea and the most attentive staff a restaurant could ask for. Every staff member made it feel like a VIP experience. Daram made the dining experience feel extremely special and we did not want or wait for a single thing. The food and drinks were phenomenal. By far my favorite dining experience in Malta!

Had a nice time at Capo Crudo by Valletta marina. Milan took great care of me with lots of enthusiasm. The food and drinks were good, and the ambience was nice. Music was a bit loud at first, but it balanced out as the place got busier. The host was too casual, but I get the technique to connect with guests. Would definitely come back

This was a stunning experience from start to finish. The staff was incredibly attentive, but never too much- they created a friendly and cozy environment throughout the whole dinner. I loved the explanation of the dishes- very well detailed and clear. Wine was great and the sommelier was very knowledgeable. The food was incredible- such different flavours to what you expect and usually eat. I loved the combination of ingredients that I never thought could go together. This was an exquisite dining experience! Where shall I start? We were shown to our private room with a simple decor but elegant. The waiting staff was professional and courteous throughout the evening. We had the tasting menu which consists of 5 courses and many 'surprises' by Chef Victor. Each course is a unique display of artistry with an explosion of flavours. Each of the courses is not just served... The servers set up the table with props so that you can experience something truly original... Then you try the food and you're in heaven. The restaurant offers a great wine list and expert connoisseur to suggest best wine options. The experience lasts for roughly 4 hours however, the ambience is just perfect and time flies by. A wonderful experience indeed... Well done Chef Victor and all the Under Grain Team!

Best michelin star restaurant I have ever been to. The quality and taste of food, the presentation, the service, the timing - everything was just perfect and left me with awe. Even though I had only opted for the two course meal, I felt very full and satisfied by the end of my experience. The entire dinner lasted 3 hours, just like they said. If you decide to dine with Under Grain, allot for extra time, as they take care in enjoying the food and the presence of others. At the end of our dinner, we even got to say our thanks to the chef! I enjoyed just about everything that was served. The rabbit dish as well as the indoor picnic were quite delicious and memorable. We were first led to a lobby to wait before heading down. Be careful, there are two restaurants with similar names: Over Grain and Under Grain. We almost walked into the wrong restaurant! You must book ahead.

After spending €440 on a tasting menu for 2, I don't think it's unreasonable to expect first class, award winning, competition beating, blow your socks off food. IT WASN'T 😪!. After a polite welcome and being up sold some fizz, we then had to wait nearly an hour for the first "snacks" to arrive. The entire evening took 4.5hrs!! Way too long and way too slow. We were actually bored by the end and couldn't wait to get out of there. The food was ok at best. It lacked flair, flavour, and the presentation was no better than a gastro pub. The service, albeit polite and slick, was far from friendly and welcoming. It felt wooden and scripted. I would sadly not recommend this restaurant.

During our recent visit to Under Grain in Malta, we found the dining experience to be mostly very enjoyable, particularly with the quality of the food. The dishes were thoughtfully prepared and flavorful. However, we felt the overall quantity of food was a bit overwhelming—especially the main course featuring fish and the dessert. A slightly smaller portion, or reducing some of the additional surprise elements, might allow for a more balanced experience. The menu itself was somewhat confusing. Some courses came with extra explanations in the same font and color, but important details—such as the cheese course and caviar being charged as extras—were not clearly highlighted. This got a bit lost on us at first, especially since the waiter spoke at a very low volume and occasionally unclear, making it harder to clarify these points during service. Service-wise, the staff was attentive, but the frequent water refills felt a bit overbearing, as our glasses were continually topped up even when we weren’t drinking. It seemed a bit intrusive rather than thoughtful. Regarding the wine, we weren't particularly impressed with the pairing offered. For those who prefer not to take the full pairing, the team seemed to have limited suggestions for choosing wines by the glass. In summary, Under Grain offers good food with creative touches, but I recommend to pay close attention to the menu details, perhaps opt for selecting wines individually, and be aware that portions may be more generous than expected. It also says on their website that you cannot wear shorts, but this was not true since a few guests did. Should just remove this from the website.

Dinner at Under Grain was a perfect way to end my vacation in Malta. The food is great (try the langoustine three ways), they have really good local wines by the glass but what really blew me away was the level of service and attention to detail. Everyone from the servers to the sommelier were at the top of their game. While it’s not cheap, quite a lot of freebies are included in the set menu option like some amazing snacks, a great bread course with jamon iberico and a pre dessert. Overall, a must visit.

My dining experience at Under grain was beautiful! The food were incredibly delicious. The service was top notch. It truly deserves its Michelin star. I also absolutely adored the random little surprises from the chef. I could not have chosen a better place for dinner. Truly wonderful, would definitely visit again.

What a little gem of a cafe. A tiny little place serving great looking food, coffee etc. I had a cappuccino here, sat outside and took in the sites. It’s slightly off the hustle and bustle of Republic street. The coffee was superb - I think I may have to go here later when I need another caffeine pick me up!

Choosy like café, just perfect for that last breakfast outside the hotell and just sit and look at people passing by. If you would like to get something from of the menu, just ask for it and they will fix it if they can. But have in mind that even if you take a table this café is very popular for breakfast on the go so you migth end up in a line.

This is the real local coffee house. Nothing posh in it but you can drink coffee like a Valetta resident on Italian style. The ladies inside are lovely and friendly. Espresso is dense and pleases your need for coffee.

Nice little café on a quiet side street that still allows for people watching. Tried two of their sandwiches and they were pretty basic but seemingly fresh. Some had better bread than others. Ordered a Sprite but the owner brought no-sugar diet Sprite to the table which I didn’t order. Café needs a bit of maintenance and TLC on the inside as it looks a bit rundown and not maintained.

DO NOT COME TO THIS PLACE. Extremely rude owner. We were waiting to order some drinks and then they asked us in a very dude way to get lost, as if we were beggars or street dogs.

A place where healthy alternatives are served with impressive flavor. The drinks and the sweet appetizers offered are also nice. The staff, however, are unfriendly. One of the female staff in particular served with anger. The wooden forks and spoons are very small, and when they get wet, you can taste the wooden flavor.

Delicious food and excellent service. The Sunny Quesadilla Wrap and the Red Fusion Curry were delicious. The Strawberry Tease smoothies are always good!

I was really disappointed. I ordered roasted tomato soup- it was given to me in a cup even though I was dinning in. And cheesy quesadilla was „cheesy” only by the name… almost ZERO cheese in it 😔 Cannot recommend

Sad, sad portions unfortunately. I really like Brooklyn greens salad, however the portion which used to be a proper filling size has decreased a lot and it's not worth 12 euros. Wraps became a joke, 9 euro for an envelope: minimum meat , cheese - everything.

As a long time customer, I am noticing a trend. While the prices go up every now and then, the packaging is getting smaller. The Brooklyn Greens used to be a proper meal. As time went by, I started seeing the portion getting smaller until today where the packaging is different and smaller than usual. I'm not one to leave negative reviews but this practice is foul and needs to stop. It's a shame because the food is actually really good.

Had lunch here recently and was very impressed. Would recommend the watermelon smoothie as it’s sooo fresh! The tuna ciabatta was very filling.. just be careful if you order the buckaroo chicken wrap as there wasn’t much chicken inside. Would eat here again and try one of the salads.

The food was fine, but the staff was very rude!!! I couldn’t buy the wrap I wanted because the staff said that “I soon close, I soon close!” And he didn’t want to make the wrap, but here it says that they close at 22:00! Unacceptable!!!! And teach them some proper English for gods sake!

I was there yesterday with my husband and I usually like to go with my family to try the delicious milkshakes, but lastly there is a woman who doesn't know about customer service, she always makes a bad face, she doesn't serve in a good way, and the last few times I have gone to eat a milkshake around 6:20 p.m. she always says that it is already closed or that there is simply no ice cream to make a milkshake, more than 3 times she has said the same thing to prepare our order, I guess that's how it will be with all time with the people and customers, you should put more attention to this since milshakes are really delicious, I guess it's laziness the reason why she doesn’t want to prepare them and she doesn’t want to wash the implements, but this really seems very good to me and I guess for the rest of the people.

My boyfriend and I went here and ordered the chicken wrap, the smoked salmon wrap and a banana peanut butter milkshake. Personally I disliked the wraps because of the dressing that’s used in them. The banana peanut butter shake however was one of the most delicious shakes I’ve ever had. The service was quick and polite, so that’s nice.

They pretend to be open by 8am. We went there at 8:15 and they told us to come back at 8:30 when they “open”. We came back at 8:45 and for most of the food, they said while they are “open” they aren’t set up to serve yet so we could not order anything. Half the sandwiches on the menu were also unavailable and it was the start of the day. Rude employees who seem not concerned about work.

I usually order a milkshake here, there are different types, I have tried a few so far. I love them. They are so sweet and delicious and they look amazing! This place is worth a visit!

Highly recommended for a good mid-day lunch.. Extensive variety of milkshakes, Maltese bread, shakes, and other snacks. The chicken caeser wrap is delicious 😍. The place also offers outdoor dining right outside of Tigne Point.

Friendly and welcoming staff, and looks popular judging by the steady flow of customers. Ingredients were fresh but a little limited but i guess it was near the end of lunch hour. I do have a bit of a niggling issue about opaque pricing as i went in thinking I was going to get a €4 wrap with a euro or two added for the extra ingredients, €6 tops. Ended up paying up nearly €8. To be fair, it was delicious and I would have gladly paid that from the start if i knew the price. €8 isnt breaking the bank but was just taken aback somewhat - I would still recommend it for quality of food and it'd be helpful if pricing board was a little bit clearer.

Taken over recently from previous health place. The proprietor is delightful and works hard to please customers. She makes very healthy Mamas soup which is delicious as well as beautiful fresh healthy salad food and juices etc

Pure is really pure! They have good selection of fresh and organic foods, pure also serves juices, coffees and even healthy desserts. Pure tends to get really busy during the lunch hours, so don´t be surprise if you have to wait for your salad bit longer than usual. Regardless, pure is a good choice if you are sick and tired of pastiziz.

Great smoothies and salads. €5 for 500ml smoothie is unbeatable. They also have vegan cakes, which is pricy imo, but for someone who's used to higher prices for vegan food maybe not.

Great baguette and wrap site. It is in Sliema and it is a great option if you are looking for tasty sandwiches, with great breas and exquisite ingredientes. They were all fresh and tasty, the flavour of the products is overwhelming. The place is owned by 3 nice swedish guys, we met Jens and told us all about the story of the place. They have recently opened and they are doing things right. Do not hesitate to eat there!

I had the curry kick, and it is one of the best sandwiches I have ever had! I asked for it to be extra spicy, and it definitely delivered. It’s unique and super flavourful, packs a punch, and even the bread tastes very flavourful and buttery! I had the sandwich hours after I bought it, so I can only imagine how much better it would taste when consumed fresh and hot! The employees were also super friendly, the vibes were great and the service was quick and efficient. Everything looked fresh and there’s plenty to choose from, and decently priced! I highly, highly recommend this place, and I am so glad I tried it!

Amazing experience at La Baguette Bros. The person helping us (one of the owners) was super kind and welcoming. And the food… 🤌 a delight! Some is the best food we have had during our trip in Malta. Got the Curry Kick and it was a must-have!!! So flavorful and a wonderful portion!

A cute restaurant with great ambience. The menu is on point and their meals are pretty large. Our waitress was Irina and she was amazing for letting us know the daily catch to the allergens that are in each meal.

This was an all-round outstanding experience. The food was of the very highest quality, from a seriously fishy, tomatoey fish soup, to tender and tasty lamb belly, to soft and delicious sea bass. They had some pretty sweet desserts too. Our waitress was friendly, fast and well informed – we simply could not have asked for better service or better food. For three people, 2-3 courses each and half a bottle of wine, we paid €110 euros – not cheap, but we felt it was easily worth it. An absolute must if you're in Valletta.

Capistrano is really right choice for nice dinner in Valletta. A dish with fish of the day is very good prepared and full of flavors. Tomato sauce with olives and capers makes nice taste combination with fish. And fish - it is fresh cooked after selected by customer.

A little cosy restaurant in a side street just off the main bar / restaurant area in central Valletta. We were well spaced out from other customers due to Covid-19 and felt safe indoors. Service was excellent, good menu and the food on the most part was lovely. Fish and pasta were perfect, the steak was so thick that they couldn’t get it to medium after 2 attempts. Awesome if you like rare steaks. Lacked a bit of ambiance but again probably a side effect of Covid.

Extremely attentive service (we were pre-theatre dining and, sadly, a little rushed), very pleasant ambience and delicious food (one of the best risottos - wild mushroom & truffle butter - ever!) and I will definitely visit again on my next visit to Valetta.

Visited Malta with friends for Christmas and chose this restaurant to eat in on our final evening. It all began quite well. We had spotted it on a visit to Valletta on Christmas Eve. It looked nice and we decided to try it later in our stay. The menu was a little limited but that didn't bother us. Only one of us ordered a starter and that's when alarm bells should have been ringing. It took an inordinately long time for the dish of Fish Soup to arrive. In the meantime we were served an amuse bouche of lukewarm soup and ravioli. Then the mains arrived. Two of my friends had ordered the turkey and three of us had fish. The fish was meagre, similar to seabass to be served with a veloute sauce, chorizo and baby spinach. We were treated to fillets floating in sauce and topped with three leaves of rocket. The fish was cold. I don't mean not piping hot or even lukewarm. It was stone cold as if it had been taken from the fridge. We were served one dish of vegetables between five of us. These were also cold. When we complained the waiter replaced our dishes with more fish, still floating in sauce with a few pieces of what may have been chopped chorizo and a couple of leaves of baby spinach. He also brought extra vegetables. The fish looked disgusting and was inedible. He offered to replace it with something else. We asked for turkey. Traditional turkey in this restaurant comprises lumps of brown meat cobbled together around an indeterminate stuffing. It was simply awful. If this is the normal standard of cuisine I cannot understand how it is still in business. We questioned whether or there was actually a chef on the premises . In fairness the waiter who served us did his best and was not responsible for the disgusting food. He didn't charge us for the inedible meals but if you are thinking of choosing to eat there think again.

Great place. Food was fantastic. Best meal in Malta. We had a pasta appetizer, steak and fish entree that was fantastic. Awesome. Good wine list and reasonable. The desert may be one of the best we have had all year. Service was excellent. Greg and Lori NYC

Great quality sandwiches! Amazing lunch, but the real star was the San Pelligrino drinks they sell. One of the few places that serve it and it makes the lunch so luxurious!

Terrible experience as a first order via delivery; in Pecking Duck Bowl duck was cold, tasteless and definitely not fresh (color was grey) and salmon was really bad as well (in Salmon salad). I immediately called the place to tell them about it and eventually find a solution (I was up to go there by walk with food since I live close by) but the chef who cooked it was not collaborative at all, he only said: “So what’s wrong? Duck is like this, that is the flavor and also salmon is fresh”. At least I was expecting a different approach from him to find a fair compromise since mistakes can happen but… Definitely not recommended

Great Salads, customer service and price. Love the place.. Shame they: don't offer extra vergine olive oil, most dressings have sugar. Chorizo, chicken, bacon & tuna taste chemical! Just suggestions

Amazing coffee , good food and very bad coconut smoothie. Needs a huge improvement- 5 eur almost only coconut milk and NO other ingredients NO pure coconut or coconut flakes . Not good

Very good option if you're vegan, vegetarian, or tired of eating meat, fish or pasta. Dishes were very good, and so were the smoothies. The place is small and a bit too noisy in my opinion, but overall a very good option if you're visiting Valletta.

We’ve only tried a smoothie, a juice and granola. The smoothie & granola were good but really disappointed by the juice (as if it was cut with water)

a great spot with organic, high quality food. They have recently grown from a small kiosk a few blocks down to a relaxed full restaurant with great plated meals and good service. Only about 12-14 seats, so it is best to go before the lunch rush, but you will not be disappointing. Prices are good, coffee is great, and their specials always delight. f you want just a snack, go for one of their raw chocolate protein bars or the sweet potato and parsnip chips with homemade tomato dipping sauce. love it here

The smoothies are excellent. The rest of the dishes are a hit and miss. The service could be better. They're generally nice people, but whoever the manager is always looks miserable. That being said, it's definitely a good option for vegans and vegetarians visiting Valletta.

Fantastic little place with amazing vegan food. We had some burgers which were delicious - big portions and very good vegan cheese!! I also had the raw chocolate brownie - one of the best I have ever ate!! Great value for money. Well recommend 😀

First of all the woman serving us was very nice and pleasant. Service alone would have been a 5/5 stars! To eat we had two wraps (Vegetarian and Chicken) The chicken wrap was tasty but the chicken was still a bit cold when served, it didn't bother me though. The Vegetarian wrap would have needed a bit more spicing up sauce as it was lacking taste. The Lemonades were AMAZING. People don't seem to like the bowls here so I would suggest sticking to Wraps!

I think one star is even too much. Staff was very unfriendly, not even a hello or goodbye, ingredients are really not the best. We had the salmon wrap, that was just full of water because of the cheap mozzarella. Don’t stop there, you can find way better in another shop.

I was always loved Salad Box in Romania. Since I try here I'm verry disapointed of the quality. The chicken is not fresh made, they don't ask you about dressing and the ingredients are verry low quality. For a place that I always loved to go, not I try to avoid it.

Forget it, it should be called Salad and air box, first and last time. Tried to call to complain, but the number is for a sister company, and they didn't even know the right number!

Pretty decent for a healthy fast food. I had the falafel quinoa bowl and the falafel was really good! The complementary dressings were great as well. Staff was kind and understanding when wanting to change some ingredients.

An insult to actual bowls. Weirdest combination ever, uncooked veggetables, cold and bad quality meat (very bad). To be honest this shouldn't be allowed to eat. Nothing like the pictures. Go somewhere else, it shouldn't be hard to find something better.
