Juice shop
Breakfast restaurant
New American restaurant
Happy Belly Eatery & Juice Bar is a casual dining spot located in downtown Tacoma, offering a variety of vegetarian-friendly options and freshly squeezed juices and smoothies. The menu features globally influenced fare with an emphasis on fresh, high-quality ingredients including superfoods. In addition to vegetarian and vegan choices, the restaurant also caters to those with dietary restrictions such as gluten-free and dairy-free preferences.
Eat here and you’ll definitely have a happy belly. Delicious healthy food and great juices. Big fan of their vegan breakfast sandwich and I’m not even vegan…¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I really enjoy their ruby red juice as well. A healthy hidden gem in downtown Tacoma.

A delicious spot with excellent vegan and gluten free options! We had the Buena dia burrito, the vegan breakfast sandwich with gluten free bread, two Dude's donuts (Homer, churro), and the French press coffee. All of it was exceptional! The dairy free butter spread on the breakfast sandwich was a huge hit.

I'd give a 10 if I could... my new weekly spot!!! The staff is consistent with their food, drinks and service. Which I know can be hard but they make it look easy. It is very CLEAN!!! I love the healthier options. The immuni Ginger tea is delicious. Also, they have these sweet potato crackers on the shelf that I have to get every time. Delicious!

Great little spot for lunch! I had the apple wrap with chicken and vegan cheese — very tasty. What really made the experience, though, was the staff. They were incredibly friendly, and the small gifts and decor around the shop were so cute and unique. The staff mentioned that everything is original and homemade, which made it even more special. Definitely recommend stopping in!

To find healthy options that’s quick and reliable is difficult. I went to Happy Belly Eatery & Juice Bar to kill some time before my post chemo doctors appointment with a big appetite. The vibe is modern, cool pop music but the staff were very warm and welcoming. I noticed they had a in house kombucha and before I could even request to try some they had offered me a sample (which was delicious). I ended up ordering a medium to large glass of their mango pineapple kombucha and their avocado BLT with a vegan raspberry dark chocolate bar. I’m not on the vegan party train but the alternative options are delicious and hard to deny. My sandwich was still warm when served and bacon was crisped to perfection all within 10 minutes of waiting. If you’re looking for a nice healthy place to take someone special out for brunch / lunch and not feel super heavy or bloated then this should be your next stop and I’d consider a staple in Tacoma.
Anthony Y — Google review
This cafe is so adorable! They have a ton of vegan options. I tried the vegan breakfast sausage burrito and the Aztec caramel mocha, and they were both so so good. the burrito came with a homemade hot sauce that was not too spicy but very flavorful. The burrito was filling and flavorful as well! The Aztec caramel mocha was not too sweet, and it had a bit of a kick to it but honestly it was one of my favorite lattes I've tried recently. the staff were so kind and there I ended up purchasing some local handmade jewelry from there too. If you're looking for a vegan friendly, healthy, tasty, cute cafe to grab a coffee or lunch then go here!

So good here! I made a pickup order and it was ready right when I came in at the pickup time. The food was delicious! Definitely give this place a try.

Nestled along the stunning Tacoma waterfront at Point Ruston, WildFin American Grill is a must-visit for seafood lovers. This charming eatery boasts an impressive menu featuring fresh fish, wild seafood, and locally sourced meats, all complemented by breathtaking views of iconic landmarks like Mount Rainier and Vashon Island. Whether you're indulging in their famous fish and chips or savoring grilled steak with Alaskan snow crab, every dish promises to delight your palate.
We sat outside. Beautiful view. Staff was great. Friendly and attentive. Gave good suggestions and feedback. Drinks were good. Food was good, had turkey club - the fries were amazing, sushi & salad (Forgot to take a picture. )

We got the seafood chowder, fried calamari, seafood pasta, and a burger. The view was great! However, the food was just alright. The pasta was bland - the salmon was not well seasoned, the sauce was bland as well. I would suggest adding some salt, pepper and red pepper flakes. The chowder was interesting. It was foamy, salty and milky/cheesy. The burger wasn't anything special. The fried calamari wasn't crispy. Overall, the food was below my expectations. I would come here for the view, get drinks and an appetizer.

Visiting for the first time in Seattle. I wasn't crazy about my dinner. The steak was beautiful and it was delicious. However, the potatoes were barely warm, they were not well seasoned, and the green beans were hard! The berry cobbler was overbaked! Would I go back again? Yes, I would simply try a different menu selection. The views from the windows are beautiful. CAB

WildFin in Tacoma has so much going for it — the location is beautiful, with amazing views of the water and even a giant fountain out front where kids can splash and play. It’s a lively spot that feels perfect for both family outings and date nights. I ordered the Fresh Catch Halibut, which was flavorful and had great textures. That said, I did find myself questioning just how “fresh” the catch really was, which kept it from being a flawless experience. Still, it was enjoyable overall and paired nicely with the atmosphere. Service was a definite highlight — the bartenders were attentive, helpful, and made the evening smooth and enjoyable. Overall, I’d give WildFin a solid 4 out of 5. Great view, great service, and good food — just not quite perfect.

Wildfin in one of several restaurants in the Point Defiance waterfront area. The area is very nice and offers some nice restaurants with a good view of the water. The decor and presentation inside of the restaurant is appealing. The oysters were a good choice to start, as well as the bread service. We tried the filet mignon, black cod and the burger. The steak was presented well and tender, it was slightly undercooked but still very good. The black cod was impressive and very tasty. The burger was tasty but unfortunately well undercooked, it was ordered medium-well and arrived medium rare. We did not send it back but this was our only issue with our dining experience. Our server was friendly and attentive. Outside of the undercooking, a nice choice in dining.

My daughter and I enjoyed dinner! We started with the clams. The sauce was amazing, the wine was not over powering! We shared a delicious seasonal salad. My daughter had the house burger and I had the shrimp scampi. Neither of us we able to finish but took it all home to enjoy later. Great view, sadly we did not get pics, server was attentive and very kind. We did not make a reservation but they got us in with ease!

Visited Wildfin in Ruston on a sunny day with a party of 6. The parking is a bit of a walk, and I wish there were clearer signs that parking is free for retail visitors. If it was posted somewhere maybe I must have missed? The restaurant itself is gorgeous with a warm, inviting interior and incredible waterfront views that make it feel special. The bar area is beautifully set up and definitely adds to the upscale vibe. Restrooms were very clean, but for the size of the restaurant, having just one toilet felt a bit limited. Food-wise, the menu leans toward being heavier, and most items were a little too salty for my personal taste. Service was professional and attentive, which made the experience very good. This is a great place for a nice evening out or to bring guests who want a view with their meal. They have a beautiful outdoor patio set up and I can see why people love it here. We love this place. Yes, it’s on the pricier side, but the food is worth it and the location is nice, being right on the water. The calamari was cooked perfectly, so much flavor and very tender. The chowder was also delicious, just wish the pieces of seafood in it were bigger and more noticeable. The salmon and filet were cooked perfectly. Very tender, juicy and full of flavor. I loved the Sole more than the tenderloin on my dish. The tenderloin was cooked exactly how I wanted, but there was no flavor to the meat itself, apart from the chimichurri. The potatoes are a little underwhelming for the side, could use some butter. Overall, it was delicious and worth it.

Argentinian restaurant

Cocktail bar
Asado is an Argentine chophouse known for its mesquite-fired grill and candlelit ambiance. The restaurant specializes in grilled meat dishes, particularly beef, sourced from the Northwestern United States. Their menu features a variety of meats such as rolled skirt steak with Peruvian purple potatoes and grilled chicken breast with lemon sauce, all cooked on imported mesquite wood. In addition to meat options, they also offer seafood and vegetarian dishes like grilled scallop skewers and stuffed tomatoes with roasted chile.
Some of the best service I've had in quite a while. We tried the gnocchi and the burger. Both were executed well. Little touches like a bit of pink in the burger and seasoned fries helped the to slightly elevated. They're doing an Italian take on their menu for the month of January, so I can't speak to their regular menu. Would I say it's the best burger for the price and execution, no, but coming here is about the experience as well as good food.

We have reservations for 7 pm , we arrive 25 minutes early. Today was a great day with Awesome customers service at the entrance and our server wax Ms, Sara H. She was very nice and lots of patience. Waiting for us to order. All her recommendations was great.Empanada Appetizer and Arancini . Great experience and our 2nd time to experience the Cucina Argentina. Love to go back and try their dessert!

This was my first time here. It was on a Sunday. It wasn’t busy. Parking is nuts, good luck. The place is small, but classy. I think they must rotate their menus. What I saw online was not the menu I received at the table. Their water is filtered. Their silverware and other items on the table are higher end. Tables and chairs are beautiful. The bathrooms are clean, unisex and private. The prices are a bit steep, but the food tasted great and the service was pretty decent. I would only be back for a special occasion.
MJ M — Google review
We had a reservation and they were able to seat us slightly earlier! My first time here and the hostess was very welcoming. Our waiter gave us the time to look things over. I love that the menu isn’t overwhelming. Prices make sense for the quality of food they have here. We had an appetizer of empanadas. Very delicious! My boyfriend had the lamb and I had the mini mixta. Both were done amazing! I also added the shrimp which was worth it. We also had a side of fungi. It was too salty for our taste, but it was good nonetheless. The drinks were great with our dinner. We’d go back once we save more money!

Escquisit experience, grill flavor is second to none. Portion sizes were good, entrees came out quickly. Service was attentive as well.

02/07/2025: The two of us popped in around 530p on a Friday night. Bar looked pretty full, dining room less than half. Staff greeted us promptly and advised no seats available until a couple hours later and offered us bar seating. Waited about 10 minutes for bar seating. Staff still attentive and acknowledged that we were waiting for bar area. Once we were seated, we were given 3 menus (Happy Hour, Dinner, and Wine List). It was nice to see the HH menu offer smaller portions of their regular menu. I like to just have a small taste of different dishes without actually having an entire serving. We ordered a couple of drinks and the HH arancini (1 arancini) and sourdough (2 slices) to start then Cesar Salad (big enough to split), Oyster Mushrooms (enough for 2), Rib eye, and Steak Frites. Overall really great dining experience. We were very happy with the crew, who were nice, attentive, and prompt. You could tell they were aware of what was going on in the restaurant. Can't complain about the food, except the steak frites. The cut was really grisly and although good flavor made it difficult to eat. Rib eye cooked perfectly and on the leaner side. Total for 2 of us was $180. Will definitely visit again.

Early solo dinner on a Saturday was worth it. The olives were warm, oysters chilled, and steak perfectly cooked to medium well. And the creme brulee was sweet and creamy with the perfect sugar coating.

This place is great for any occasion!! Expect bold flavors that you’ll dream of later on! The chocolate hazelnut crepes for a dessert after a delicious steak is the perfect way to end your meal here! This review was made in connection with the Toast promotion

Bar
Dirty Oscar's Annex, also known as DOA, is a one-of-a-kind spot in Tacoma, offering a lively atmosphere and creative New American cuisine. As the city's only moonshine bar for adults 21 and older, it serves handcrafted moonshine cocktails like the popular strawberry lemonade. Featured on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives, this neighborhood joint is famous for its weekend brunch and dive bar vibe without the typical drawbacks.
What a gem this place is right in Tacoma. We were just checking this place out as we saw some good reviews on a website. Let me tell you they were all true and their food, service, and vibe are outstanding. The food is delicious and servings large enough to feed two people. Come and see them you will leave with a smile on your face and battling food coma it is that good. Beers and other drinks are ice cold and compliments the food great.
Mr O — Google review
We heard about it in TV and it was highly recommended, so decided to try it. We had the fish and chips - it was a little spicy, but the fries and sauces were yummy! Also had the black bean burger, it was really big with lots of toppings on it, great presentation but it lacked flavor. It’s a typical dive bar inside, nothing fancy in a popular neighborhood. Parked about a block away in a residential area. Nice staff, not overly friendly.
J L — Google review
Delicious breakfast options, Bloody Mary’s and great service! It’s a bar/restaurant and 21 and over only allowed. Fun vibe with old black and white vintage prohibition photos. Recommend the pork verde Benedict and the biscuits and gravy. The biscuit was light and gravy was perfectly balanced with flavor and not heavy at all. The spicy Bloody Mary came with bacon and veggies and was more flavorful than hot, the way I like it. Visiting with friends that took us here so it was a fun group experience.

We had the best time here!! Food was absolutely delicious and our server Courtney kept us laughing and happy. 10/10 would come here again.
Elena O — Google review
Following another exciting 90 minutes of what ended up turning into a physical torture session instead of therapy, it was off on a new dining adventure. We had driven by Dirty Oscar’s in our dining search. Today was the day we decided to see what they were all about. There is a huge sign as you enter saying you must be 21 and you must show ID. Sadly, neither Ray nor I were carded which I suppose must mean we do look old enough for them to be positive we are above legal drinking age. We were greeted warmly and seated immediately. Menus and drink specials were left for us to peruse while the bartender attended to other customers. Breakfast is served all day and there was more than one option which caught my eye. Ditto with lunch but I decided on breakfast, specifically chicken and waffles. The waffle comes stuffed with bacon, sweet seasoned butter, syrup and three pieces of chicken. The pieces are a breast, thigh and drumstick. I asked if I could substitute the thigh and drumstick for two chicken wings. I was told no but I could have two chicken breasts. SCORE!!!! Oh yeah!!! Order placed!!! Ray ordered the Philly cheesesteak sandwich. He opted for the Rosemary fries, over regular fries, which cost $1 more. We both ordered coffee. We were happy to wait while a fresh pot was made. Our food arrived and WOW!!! My chicken breasts were huge, boneless with a tasty, crunchy, slightly warm (spicy) coating, and lightly dusted with powdered sugar. I was a little skeptical of the powdered sugar but it was a beautiful enhancement!! The chicken was tender and juicy. The waffle was loaded with bacon, and was still light and crispy. I requested a second plate so I could move my chicken and butter and cover my waffle with syrup. The plate wasn’t big enough or the chicken was too big to move to the side. Both were acceptable dilemmas. I was only able to eat one of the breasts. I took the other one home. Ray’s sandwich had good flavor but was a little on the dry side due to a lack of au jus or condiments. The fries were thick and crispy but Ray learned Rosemary is not necessarily his liking. I tried to talk him into ordering the Garlic Parmesan fries but he passed, regretfully. He ate the other half of his sandwich for dinner last night. I made up a horseradish, mayonnaise mixture for him to use, and he said that worked well. The bartender was friendly, attentive and cheery as she greeted and waited on everyone. Our food was excellent, and I personally complimented the cook for my meal. We will definitely return!!! The dilemma will be whether I venture into a different menu option or stay with the chicken and waffle. Another good dilemma.

The service was amazing and food came out quickly. My 1st impression upon walking in was the smell. It smelled like dirty mop water or something. I almost turned around. The Chicken and Waffles was pretty good. The chicken was really well seasoned!

Had this place on my list for a while, and after going, I'm sorry I waited so long. First off the food is phenomenal. Everything is made in house including dressings and even their tater tots (which are stuffed). But even better then the food is the service, the guy that served us Friday later afternoon was a delight. I missed is name, but you can tell he cares about his customers, and loves his job. The prices are a little more expensive, but it's all homemade and inhouse, so I will pay extra for that. Really enjoyed the NA beer with my burger too. Over all a 10 out of 10 experience.

Mediterranean restaurant
Primo Grill is a vibrant restaurant located in Tacoma, Washington, offering a diverse menu of Mediterranean steaks, pastas, and applewood-fired pizzas. The open kitchen allows diners to witness the expert preparation of their meals, enhancing the overall dining experience. Situated on 6th Ave alongside its sister establishment, Crown Bar, Primo Grill is an ideal destination for delectable bar bites and refreshing drinks.
Pretty great Italian. Pasta was clearly homemade and delicious. Penna Vodka was as usual delicious. Standout this time was the burrata appetizer…a wonderful bite of food!!! Crave it and will go back for that. Penne bolognese s excellent. At first surprised by the lack of tomato base of this dish, but it was actually amazingly delicious!! Couldn’t finish close to all the food. Only complaint was the Caesar salad was way over-dressed, but a minor thing overall….just need to put about 50 percent less dressing, otherwise would be an excellent Caesar salad. Service very good. I know people complain about the added 20 percent tip, my only critique of this is that they don’t even give the option to tip more than this, which I would have. I have to assume, that they must have problems w people not tipping this minimum. Also hazelnut brownie sundae was pretty good

Primo Grill is a very classy, yet relaxed restaurant. I absolutely loved the decor and vibe of the place. We were greeted right away. We had a reservation but I did see that people could walk-in and get sat as well. They offer gluten-free noodles and I highly recommend the shrimp scampi with those noodles (PHENOMENAL)! The service was incredible. If you save room for dessert, the bourbon chocolate cake is where it’s at (also gluten free and delicious). Overall a truly great experience and definitely worth the stop. Fair warning - dishes are $17 or so and up but still worth it in my opinion. This would be the perfect place for a date. As far as parking, they don’t have a designated parking lot but there is parking available on the street around the building and surrounding area.

Everyone’s dishes were phenomenal. I ordered the Moroccan Chicken which was cooked to perfection and served with an excellent lemon based sauce and veggies. The atmosphere had the perfect ambiance for the occasion and service that was equally amazing. The sticky toffee pudding was a perfect dessert to end the night and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone interested.

Everything we ate was delicious! Highly recommend the fried cauliflower + pita & sauces and the lamb chops. The customer service is top tier. Our server went out of her way to confirm the lamb chops were halal and she packed extra sauce when boxing up our leftovers (a true love language). The atmosphere is simple, yet classy. They have their garage doors open on nice summer days and every table has a candle on it. Perfect for large groups or date night. We will be back!

Hands down the BEST restaurant around. The food was cooked to perfection! Almost unbelievably well. So much so my husband personally went and thanked the chef for how well his pork chop was cooked, seasoned, the overall flavors for the dishes... He went on and on about this being the FIRST RESTAURANT EVER that made a pork chop correctly. Perfectly. Melts in the mouth with perfect flavor.... The calamari, that was the other dish that blew him away. He never thought he would like calamari that wasn't breaded... Until he tried this one. Yet again he was blown away. Loved it. I really enjoyed the homemade stuffed raviolis with a corn filling. Super good. Drinks were awesome! This is now on our list of DEFINITELY RETURN ASAP.. next time we are in that area of Tacoma we will be dropping in for a meal. Last but not least... The service was GREAT!! loved our waitress. Very attentive, explained everything we had questions about perfectly. The drink recommendation was spot on. I always LOVE waitresses and waiters that you can trust.. I'm in the mood for this I'm leaving it up to you .. and they knock it out of the park. You can absolutely trust your server here to try new things you may not be so brave to do at other places... They know their menu 💯. I hope this helps anyone trying to find a great restaurant, perfect environment, awesome servers, and DELICIOUS FOOD!!! (Be prepared to be STUFFED! 😉)... Your welcome in advance! 🤗

The person who took my order was very kind, other than that absolutely horrible. Pasta was not cooked all the way. Asparagus in our appetizer not cooked or seasoned, whole dish was trash honestly. Ordered 2 ravioli dishes, they both came with 6 ravioli each!! I was billed $110 for this. A addition almost $8 togo fee AND a 10% tip for what!!! I hardly ever post reviews but.. NEVER AGAIN.. Do better!!!

The food has been spot on. Chef and kitchen are amazing. Bartenders get it right every time Seth has made us feel like the only guest in a full house. This is a hidden gem.

One of our favorite restaurants for sure. The mussels in the curry sauce is a unique dish that is a must have (especially with their house made focaccia for dipping). With the fresh ingredients and the superb execution of their preparation, I really haven’t had anything that I didn’t love.

The Hub Gig Harbor is a bike-themed restaurant located in Tacoma, known for its pub-style setting and affiliation with the Harmon Bike Club. The family-friendly establishment offers a diverse menu featuring burgers, sandwiches, pizzas, and other delectable options within a bike-themed ambiance. Additionally, it houses a bar serving an array of Harmon Brewing Company beers.
I do enjoy eating great food while watching aircraft take off and land. You really can’t be any closer to the planes without taking off in one, and several of the diners did just that after eating. Most of these places serve up just burgers and pizza. My smash burger was spot on, but my wife had a great salad and we shared some killer Brussels Sprouts. Add some great wether and we had a great dining experience.

Delicious pizza! My husband thoroughly enjoyed the fish and chips as well. Highly recommend the fried calamari and their cocktails are delicious. The bar was adorable and the view was perfect 🫶
Ana B — Google review
The food was outstanding! We got oysters, calamari, a smash burger, tots, and pizzas. It was all amazing. The burger was the best burger I have had in a very long time. I added mushrooms, onions, and cheese sauce! It wasn't busy and the staff were all so nice and quick. I 100% recommend the hub!
Ashley S — Google review
The best thing this restaurant has going for it is the atmosphere—watching planes take off and land is genuinely unique and enjoyable. Unfortunately, the food doesn’t live up to the view. It’s mediocre at best and noticeably overpriced compared to other spots in Gig Harbor, especially for what you get. The service is decent, but every time I’ve given this place another shot, the disappointment has outweighed the novelty of the planes.

Amazing pizza while you watch planes land and take off! What could be better? Located at the Tacoma Narrows Airport in Gig Harbor. There's a cozy little bar with a nice selection of beers. Friendly staff rounds out a nice meal or a cocktail. Do stop by! PS, I'm from New Jersey, The Hub's pizza is legit. It's not east coast pizza, but it's very good!
Jazzy D — Google review
Visited recently with someone who loves this place. He hyped up that the burgers were amazing, and the pizza is pretty good, too. I ordered a double smash burger and fries and everything tasted great. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their meals and I heard that the ketchup was rave-worthy as well. Unfortunately, the Brussels sprouts appetizer others ate was reportedly overcooked or burnt, but besides that, everything else turned out well. The indoor seating can be quite loud, so expect a louder-than-usual meal.
DM D — Google review
Very slow service, even when there were very few people there. Kids ordered chicken strips which came out burned. Took 35 minutes for appetizers to come out. They never came back to refill drinks. Pizza was fine, but nothing special. The best part of the meal was watching the airplanes
Kendra C — Google review
First, The Hub has the best pizza in Gig Harbor. But the food praise stops there. We used to rave about their breakfast and insanely good burger selection. Things have changed and not for the better. The only burger on the menu is thin patty smash burger with very little on it. NOWHERE near what they used to have. Calamari was terribly bland. Baja tacos were decent. Service was stellar but couldn’t make up for the mehhh meal.

The atmosphere was comfortable and medium casual. Their menu was well put together and versatile, all good choices! I got the Mac n cheese topped with steak tips, it was well presented and rich. My friend got a salad, and found it fresh and well portioned. I recommend the fried Brie, the dish was delicious!

✨ If I could give this place 10 stars, I absolutely would! The food was phenomenal every bite was full of flavor and made with such care. To top it off, we had the pleasure of meeting the owner, who was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and passionate about what they do. It’s rare to find a place where the service, food, and atmosphere all align so perfectly. I’ll be recommending this gem to everyone I know and then some! Can’t wait to come back. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Had a great experience! Eric, the owner is amazing; he made us feel very welcome and accommodated. The food was well presented and delicious 😋 Can’t wait for our next visit!

I really wanna give this place 5 stars. The food was great, the atmosphere was great, and the servers were very nice. However it seems due to staffing issues the servers were very busy and making minor mistakes. It is at no fault of their own. They were all working very hard and running around the restaurant the entire time. I ordered the ribeye and it was a great portion/ cooked perfectly to medium rare.
Korey K — Google review
Food I would give 7/10. The apps we had were pretty solid (order the brie!!!) but the paella was somewhat lacking in flavor. Cocktails were pretty good (what you’d expect) but the service was pretty slow and the place was not very crowded. The food came out quickly and the person who took care of us was very friendly. Maybe would have ordered more if the service was faster.
S T — Google review
I echo other reviewers - if I could give this place 10 stars, I would. Incredible wagyu burger and sweet potato fries (ordered mine with bacon and avocado), and the Alpine Meadows spirit-free beverage was the best mocktail I’ve ever had. Our group ordered a piece of the carrot cake and someone said “this is the best carrot cake I’ve ever had.” So, go here, you’ll leave with a happy stomach.

I am blown away by how delicious the food is! The staff were also very attentive and hospitable. We will be back, because the menu was loaded with great things to try and we felt very welcomed there. Pricing is very reasonable! I'm still raving about the food!

Gyro restaurant
Restaurant
Mediterranean Gyro Grill is a relaxed eatery that serves popular Greek dishes such as souvlaki, salads, and gyros. They also offer a selection of beer and wine to accompany your meal. The owner's generosity is evident in the complimentary gyro sandwich they provide, and customers are grateful for this gesture. This was their first time trying the food, and they were pleasantly surprised by its quality.
I was already going to leave a glowing review just based off of the food ALONE!! Seriously my favorite hummus ever from here. Rice slaps. However, there were some diners who seemed to take advantage of the quality service and demanded a remake (after finishing ALL their food) and then asked for a refund lol. Service could not have been more courteous and kind, the whole store (including waiting dashers) rallied behind and for the employee making sure they know how appreciative and what an amazing job he was doing juggling us all. Recommend to anyone who loves Mediterranean cuisine, it never fails to satisfy and accommodate❤️ (the two missing pieces of pita were my mom and i forgetting to take a picture before diving in haha)

This place reminds me of the greek restaurants found in Detroit. The food is delicious with generous portions. Everything is fresh and flavorful. I will be a regular for the chicken souvlaki alone. Highly recommend!

Not sure how to go about it & I am driven to be considerate and fair in my review. I'm a private, unpaid & unincentivized person. I have eaten at this restaurant before, nearly a decade ago. Remembering that time, I decided to revisit that date, today. The food was tasty but a bit harder to swallow(dry). I'm not entirely sure that it's not supposed to be as this is not my cultural cuisine. I didn't realize until I had a drink of water and realized how much was not fully swallowed. Taste wise, it was good if only a little salty(but that's standard for restaurants). Overall, I think the atmosphere has tremendous potential and the furniture was well chosen. The design is good. The menu is immense. Visit. Leave a review. I'm happy to update my review to be more gracious if anyone disagrees.

We came for dinner around 7pm on a Monday night. There were only two other people dining in when we arrived. We sat down but we were told a few minutes later by a friendly young lady to order at the counter. When we ordered at the counter the cook was mopping the back room but soon was preparing our dinner. We ordered the hummus plate as an appetizer. This was ground garbanzo beans mixed with lemon and salt and some drizzled olive oil. This was served with slices of warm pita bread. It was delicious. However, it was served with dinner and not before as an appetizer. I had the beef shawarma. It was grilled beef slices/pieces with grilled onions and cabbage with Mediterranean seasonings served over a delicious yellow rice with Tahini sauce on top and warm pita bread slices on the side. There was also a small side salad served on the dinner plate. I was disappointed the beef was very tough and I had to spit out many bites. The Sharma dish was also extremely greasy. I'm not sure if it is supposed to be served that way or I was only served this way. I would not order that again. My wife had the chicken Sharma. It was also very greasy but it tasted good. It was so much food and we took leftovers home. Others have told us the food here is very good. I think they were just having an off night. I would go back and try it again.

I'm re writing this review because someone changed my ratings from 1 star to 5! I asked the cashier if what I was ordering was white/breast meat. And he said yes. I asked him a 2nd time and he said yes. When I placed my order I asked to have the salad in a separate container and dressing on the side. When I got the order home it was chopped up dark meat. The salad was in with the hot food and there was no salad dressing. I do not care for dark meat or warm salad with no dressing. The food was like slop thrown into the container. I couldn't eat it and threw it out! There food is way overpriced. I paid almost $30 bucks including tip for food that was inedible. I called and complained to the same person that took my order. He said it was white meat chopped up. Which it was not. He also said that the salad was on the side. It was in the the container which had a separate area. There was no solution offered. I will never go back. I wanted to go there to support what had happened to the owner who was in a tragic accident years ago. I won't be going back! It's to bad because the food used to be good.

Check your takeout order. They didn't include one of my items in my takeout bags. They insisted twice that they would call me back to work out a refund. Never happened. I know it's tough running a restaurant, but it's even tougher when you don't provide good customer service. Food was ok. Not going back.
Hugh P — Google review
The food is way too expensive for the portion size. A plate is around $25 and only comes with about four small pieces of protein. I spent $70 on food and left feeling like I barely got anything. Really disappointing. Portion size at this place used to be much better than this (10 years ago). Lots of reviews talking about how incredibly overpriced this place is.
Kevin — Google review
Shawarma chicken sandwich comes in a greasy fried Tortilla? Good fries and hummus though. Their prices are incorrect on their menus and they were out of soup. If you dine in they will give you to go Styrofoam and treat you as to go. They didnt Offer us a menu (and the QR code provided didn't work) welcome us or ask us how we liked our food. No fountain drinks , napkins or trashcans. Maybe Ill be back ?

This might be my new favorite restaurant! We tried four dishes and three desserts and every single thing was delicious. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and really fun to talk to. I'll definitely be coming back.

Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for vegan food, especially if you’re wondering how good it can be. Food was delicious, service was outstanding, and the dining room was beautiful with plenty of seating. If you think you want a cupcake, think hard because the gluten-free versions might disappoint you — go for a truffle or a bar, or slice of cake instead.

Most AMAZING VEGAN food I’ve had in a while!! Not only vegan but also organic and gluten free and the food is so deliciously seasoned and prepared. We had stuffed cremini mushrooms app which comes with baguette toasts it was incredible! I had the mushroom melt sandwhich that’s comes with an AU jus dip that’s soy based. My husband had an Italian personal pizza 🍕 that was so tasty. Generous portions we could not finish it. But we saved room for dessert because their dessert case is stunning I wish I got a photo of it but every cake, cookie, cupcake is beautiful. We opted for the cookies and cream cake - a giant slice that we shared. Outstanding! I wish we lived closer to this place but I will definitely be back next time we are in town. Cannot recommend enough! Edit to add that we returned the next day and ordered raw enchiladas- so fresh and vibrant deliciousness! And the portobello sandwich that was hearty and delicious.

Very friendly staff, but definitely is not the same as when they were in the other location. The food doesn’t taste the same :(, it tasted way over seasoned, Like so concentrated specialty the BBQ and mushroom melted sandwiches. The Mac and cheese we ordered for our daughter was very sour tasting. But the cauliflower winds were good. My family and I used to go so much years ago and tried it again at their new location but we are sad to said it just wasn’t good. But the waitress was very nice and friendly. I’m pretty sure they will go back to tasting great.

Really friendly staff and very inclusive menu. They have a new soup everyday. They have potato cream soup on the day I visited and it was amazing. They have a really extensive dessert section. They looked so tempting that I bought multiple desserts to bring home.

First time here for breakfast was very pleasant. It was nice that my vegetarian wife could order anything off the menu. Most dishes had nuts so be careful if you have allergies. All dishes where labeled and staff was very knowledgeable about ingredients. We will be back for the dinner menu soon

I went to this place with my wife and a friend. We had the nachos, the Hawaiian pizza, the the chicken fettuccine alfredo, and some cheesy garlic bread. The nachos are fantastic and I would recommend that anybody come to try them. The chicken fettuccine alfredo, except for it is improperly titled. The protein in it was fried tofu, and should be titled as such. Otherwise, it was really good. I would not recommend any of the other items we ate. They were disappointing. The service was decent. It was a Sunday morning and there was only one server. I would have enjoyed more check-ins, but when he was available, they were pleasant interactions. They also don't have soda on the menu, which should be changed, because soda would go perfectly with the nachos. The bathrooms are clean and the environment is welcoming. Overall, it is an expensive restaurant, but I would come back for the nachos.

Best vegan food around, it's hard to find a good vegan place and this is the place! We love it, so good and delicious. We did dine in and the staff is really friendly. Good customer service overall. For appetizer we ordered the CAULIFLOWER 'WINGS' in Buffalo sauce with side of 'ranch'. These wings are the best we've had and really enjoyed the buffalo sauce. For sandwich try their BBQ JACK, the smoked jackfruit & onion is so delicious. For entree try their THAI PEANUT STIR FRY, the savory ginger peanut sauce was really good and coated good the tofu. Also don't forget dessert, this place has an amazing bakery full of delicious desserts. We tried the cookies and truffles, both delicious. Overall great place for vegan food and vegan sweet treats.

Place is a hole in the wall that is closing at the end of the month according to employees. No one seems interested in food quality and the most recent reviews reflect this. Unfortunate that the menu and the staff do not disclose that the vegetarian sandwiches and items are actually fried in beef tallow. Oil isn’t being changed often enough and the strong taste of beef tallow was a giveaway and made me question what I was tasting. I ended up with food poisoning Saturday night after ordering two vegetarian falafel sandwiches and two large fries. The restaurant was closed until Tuesday and once I made contact with Amanda the manager, she did everything to avoid giving me a refund. She said she would contact the owner, Jim and get back to me Wednesday. She was off Wednesday and I had to wait until Thursday to be told by Amanda that the owner is busy and she will not contact him. She told me to write a review and maybe the owner will get back to me. I asked her why they do not disclose the fact that the food is fried in beef tallow. She shrugged her shoulders. I showed her the menu advertising the falafel sandwich as vegetarian. No one here cares about disclosing facts about the menu. If you have a dietary restriction or allergy..good luck. I was really put off with the entire experience. Not about the money, but the principle. Owner doesn’t care and with the business closing end of this month, I’m guessing no one cares.

I tried this fast-food style restaurant many years ago when it was in its former location across the street. The current location appears to be an old garage. I had the Moussaka Dinner which came with rice pilaf, green beans, red potatoes, a small Greek salad and garlic bread for $19. I liked the moussaka well enough and the green beans and Greek salad, but none of it was exceptional. Based on the other reviews, I suspect the most outstanding dishes are the gyros and the pizzas.
Juli S — Google review
Pretty solid Greek fair. Portion sizes are good. As a tourist I was very happy they have sweet tea. The feta fries are good. Tzatziki is great. Only complaint I have is that the grilled onions are big and I’m not a fan of that on the philly gyro. But I’ll live. Good food and friendly staff.
Raymond M — Google review
Food here is legit, phenomenal. The service was top notch. The setting couldn't be better. They had both indoor and outdoor dinning. Beer. Gyros off the spindle (see pics) and an overall pleasant atmosphere. I am a huge critic of gyros and I must say I'm impressed. If you want good gyros, try the ones here. I highly recommend.

Been a long-standing customer. Been a while with all society up in arms about the Virus 🦠. Stopped in with my wife for a nice lunch. We both love Mediterranean cuisine. I ordered the Gyro and she ordered the Falafel sandwich and we split a large fry. The fry’s were phenomenal and that’s where the compliments stop. The gyro was fresh but the sauce was bland and almost gritty. The falafel sandwich was a brick, literal rectangular brick of falafel, it was dry and had areas that had no flavor and the areas that had flavor were meh! Traveled over a hour from Yelm, Clearwood area for a favorite meal of ours, WON’T MAKE THAT MISTAKE AGAIN! Lastly not the friendliest of staff either.
Keith H — Google review
Straight-up amazing! My favorite greek/Mediterranean cuisine in SeaTac since 2019. I was looking for a good Alfredo dish, found this place near my other favorite restaurants on 6th Ave. Their chicken fettuccine alfredo got me hooked! ✨️FAVORITES: Chicken Caesar sandwich $9, Greek fries $8, Chicken fettuccine alfredo (w/ salad) $19, Caesar salad $5.50(small) $9 (large). Everything we've tried has been incredible! The Spanakopita, Chicken fettuccine alfredo, Chicken Caesar sandwich, Philly gyro, Chicken gyro, Chicken/Bacon/Honey mustard gyro, Big white Chicken pizza, Veggie pizza, Caesar salad, Greek fries, Baklava, and Brownies. Super friendly servers and cooks, cozy atmosphere, lots of tables and chairs, very clean, and plays beautiful Mikis Theodorakis style Greek music. This place is THE SPOT to dine-in during the Spring/Summer. They have an awesome outdoor patio and a (garage door style) wall that transforms the restaurant to a indoor/outdoor trattoria. You'll love it, I promise. OPA!!! 🇬🇷
Karyn C — Google review
I’ve only ever gone through the drive thru but I decided to stop and eat inside. It’s small inside but there are enough table in chairs for more than a handful of people. I also saw some outdoor seating for when the weather is warmer. When you walk in the 1st thing you notice is the glass garage door like window. It’s absolutely beautiful with the sun shining in. The inside reminds me of an old fish fry house my parents took me to when I was younger. I felt comfortable and right at home! Everyone inside was friendly and even the lady i overheard working the drive thru window. Placing my order didn’t take long and even getting the food didn’t take long. Fries were hot and extra crispy. My gyro was warm and full of perfectly seasoned gyro meat. Cannot get enough of the tzatziki sauce. The lettuce was fresh and crisp not brown. Tomatoes and onion were all fresh too. I also ordered the meatball appetizer to go. Im sorry I didn’t take a picture but it was a healthy portion of huge meatballs covered in a delicious sauce and cheese with pita bread on the side. I didn’t eat it there but I did when I got home. It was good. I’ll definitely keep stopping by here when im in the area. It was good! I added a picture I have from a previous stop of the steak and cheese there. Drive thru run it was delicious too. I love this place. They have so many options to choose from. They even have a family meal deal and I guess daily specials too. Definitely stop in or by you will love the food!

This place is really a hidden gem. My husband and I went here for the first time a few weeks ago. We were seated almost immediately and given samplers of the meats to try. The food came out quickly and was fantastic. I highly recommend and will be going back very soon.

Tried this place after my Niece saw a TikTok review. When we arrived we were surprised to see it was a place we’d driven by a million times but never even noticed it. Because it was our first time there the waitress brought out a small sample of each meat they offered for everyone at the table and it was the perfect gesture as all of us need up ordering their large combo. The decor theme was so cute and interesting. With the background music it really felt like you were on a mini vacation. Service was great, food was perfectly flavored and this place is truly a hidden gem.

Such a fun experience. The service was amazing, so friendly and accommodating to whatever we had need for. Food was fresh and delicious. Cool place, convinced me to try something new, so I ordered the spicy tuna poke bowl/plate lol. I don’t care for seafood but whatever they did to that tuna, amazing (chef’s kiss)! Also, prices were a relief. The chef brought more things for us to try. I appreciated the way they took good care of us. They went above and beyond what normal services would offer. We’ll be back for drinks! (I’ve heard so many good things about their Hawaiian-themed drinks.) This place is a hidden gem.
A. C — Google review
Definitely agree with other reviewers: this restaurant is a hidden gem that should not be overlooked! From the moment we entered for a post-graduation lunch, the owner was gracious, responsive, kind and upbeat. We were treated to samples of the different proteins available, our graduate was given a beautiful lei, and we even received dessert samples, all offered at no charge. The dishes were fantastic and highly authentic, taking me back to my last visit to Maui with every bite. My wife stated of the mac salad was "this is my Hawaiian grandmother's recipe exactly!" and was almost in tears from the memories it evoked. The decor may seem a touch over-the-top to those more accustomed to IKEA-esque minimalist restaurant settings, but we found it charming, whimsical and engaging, stopping just shy of being distracting during mealtime conversations. All in all, a wonderful meal and experience that was only heightened by the lovely owner's efforts to make our special day even better. I highly recommend Da Tiki Hut and plan to return very soon!

Food was okay, but the portions were EXTREMELY small. We ordered the Kalua pork and tiki chicken as “large” plates, and what we received looked more like kids’ portions. Spent over $50 and still left hungry. For the price, the value just isn’t there.

✨ Hops n Drops Tacoma = Absolute Fire! ✨ From the moment we walked in, the vibes were on point, but what really made the night unforgettable was Christian’s phenomenal service. 🙌 He didn’t just take our order—he connected with us on such a genuine level. My bestie, my girls, and I all felt completely taken care of—our drinks stayed full, our food came out perfect, and his energy just elevated the entire experience. 🍹 The Dole Pineapple Lemonade? Next-level refreshing! My daughter was wishing it came bottomless—it was that good. 🐟 The Fish & Chips with a side salad hit the spot—crispy, light, and ohhhh that sauce... I’m still dreaming about it and NEED that recipe ASAP. 🍔 The Smash Burger and the Ribs? Huge, hearty portions packed with flavor—definitely worth every bite. 🍗 The Chicken Tenders were a total win for my 7-year-old—crispy outside, tender inside, kid-approved perfection. But honestly, it wasn’t just the food—it was the whole atmosphere. At night, the setting feels so peaceful and inviting. We came to see what the hype was about, and let me just say—it’s EVERYTHING and more. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Top-notch service, mouthwatering food, and a place that makes you want to come back again and again. Thank you, Hops n Drops Tacoma (and especially Christian) for making our night so special—we’ll definitely be back!

Upon entering, waited for staff to greet us and take us to a table. The table was dirty upon sitting down so I used the napkins on the table to clean the area. The food is not that good. The prices when paying 8.99 for a kids meal is ridiculous. Overall, 1st and last time there; the cook asked us how was everything and walked to each table.

I've been coming to hops and drops for over 10 years (back when it was hop jacks) and I always order the Dolly's tots. For 10 years the Lacey location has never once failed me. Their order of Dolly's tots are the picture with the pan. Today I was closer to the Lakewood location so decided to order some to-go to eat on my way home. First they got my order wrong, thought I ordered garlic tots... Ok no big deal, miscommunication... They offer to fix it and just charge me for the garlic tots (cheaper). Then they come out with this to-go tray that's half the size of a normal serving, not even close to the caliber you would find at the Lacey Location. Guess that's what I paid for but I will never order from the Lakewood site if that's what they consider "making it right"

Ordered the Guacamole burger with tots. Got a burger with Avocado, no guac, Cheddar cheese, not swiss, with pickles, didn't ask for those, and Tarter sauce on the bun instead of Mayo. oh and fries instead of tots. So nothing on my order was right except it came with ranch on the side.

This has become my favorite restaurant from WA. It's nice to find favorite places to eat since I move states every few years. Hops n Drops does consistently well in terms of freshness, amazing taste, and giving me everything I ordered, every time I order from them. It really means a lot to have a reliable place like them around. I've only been in the restaurant once for pickup, but the food was ready in 8 minutes from time of ordering. The employee who helped me was very kind and even held the door open for me. The restaurant seemed clean and atmosphere was lively! If you look at their nutrition menu, the food is surprisingly lower in calories than expected. Especially for how much you get. Sadly they don't have the calories for the chocolate cake on the menu, but maybe I don't want to know anyways lol. Highly recommend the chocolate cake, chicken strips, burgers, fries and lemonade!

I didn't care much for the maccaroni 410 but the tempura zucchini was excellent and so were the Huckleberry margaritas.

Hops N Drops has become our default date night spot, and honestly, that’s what bumps it up to a solid 5 stars for us, even if my brain initially whispers "four." Let's start with the food: it's genuinely really, really good. Every time we've been, the dishes have hit the mark, making for a consistently satisfying meal. Now, the atmosphere. You can tell they really try, and bless their hearts for it! It's clean, well-lit, and the staff are always super nice and attentive. But there's just a hint of that "forced corporate fun" vibe, like a team-building exercise designed by a committee. It's not bad by any stretch, just... noticeable. There are no real complaints to be had, only compliments. Everyone is lovely, the service is great, and as mentioned, the food is delicious. When it comes to carving out some quality time with my amazing wife, Hops N Drops consistently delivers a comfortable, enjoyable evening. And for that, it earns every single one of those five stars. Keep up the good work!

Wooden City Tacoma is a trendy establishment offering a mix of pizza, sandwiches, and cocktails with an industrial-chic vibe. It recently introduced brunch options featuring upscale pub-style dishes like Wagyu steak and eggs, lamb ragu hash, baked eggs with prosciutto cream, and a decadent fried chicken sandwich. The restaurant prides itself on its elevated American fare, including wood-fired pizzas and a selection of burgers ranging from classic to gourmet.
S/O to Matt and Cameron for killer service and conversation. Both were critical guiding me through the menu at the Chef's table. The kitchen here is on point: cool and calculated. I was watching with an eagle eye the whole time, and clearly, the chef has signed on a group of utmost professionals. Execution was flawless. There is an extensive Mocktail menu for the teetotaler crowd. I ordered an NA Daiquiri and it was a great citrus/pineapple sweet and sour blend. Went with some staples recommended by locals, the Hungarian Peppers and the Beet Ravioli. I come from a heavy Italian community, but I think I'm confident in saying that the Beet Ravioli is the best I have had. It's one of the best dishes I've had period. The Hungarian Peppers were also great, with the amount of spice I like. As a rhubarb fanatic, the rhubarb and strawberry crumble sent me to cloud nine. I like a very sweet dessert, and getting this with a scoop of ice cream is all I could've asked for. I also ordered the Chocolate Custard which was a smaller portion, much more subtle, but also delicious. I hope to visit Tacoma again just to revisit this restaurant. This was my favorite dinner I had in Seattle. I wish the staff nothing but the best.

We had the most unforgettable experience at Wooden City celebrating Tori’s birthday. From start to finish, everything was extraordinary the food, the atmosphere, and the people who made it all feel so special. We sat at the chef’s table and got a front-row seat to the magic. Watching the team work in perfect harmony was like seeing a well-choreographed dance but with sizzling pans and beautiful plating. Their energy, focus, and love for the craft truly elevated the evening. The heirloom tomato salad was a burst of summer on a plate fresh, vibrant, and perfectly seasoned. The chicken schnitzel was golden, crispy perfection, while the pizza had that irresistible wood-fired crust with a depth of flavor you don’t forget. And the vegan tapioca dessert? Absolutely dreamy creamy, comforting, and innovative all at once. The staff went out of their way to make Tori’s birthday feel meaningful, and we left with full hearts (and full bellies). Thank you, Wooden City, for giving us a night to remember. We can’t wait to come back.

Do not miss this place for dinner if you are in Tacoma! I would even go to Tacoma to specifically check it out. I am no vegetarian, but the beet ravioli (as in beet the root) was delicious and unique, with loads of flavor from the goat cheese sauce and perfectly cooked pasta. The bone marrow was bursting with flavor, and the sherry add on to literally drink up the juices at the end was so yummy. Another standout was the burrata starter with a savory sage bread pudding and brown butter carrots and cranberries. The ambience is nice and stark modern. It is a quick walk from the Elks Lodge if you are staying there. Highly highly recommend. Service up at the bar was also stellar.

We had a delicious meal and the portions were large! The waitstaff is perfectly attentive. Even with it being a little chilly outside, eating in the outdoor tent wasn’t a problem because of the heaters. Great place to eat if you’re in town for a few days and looking for a nice meal.

Wow, what a delightful dining experience!!! Mmmmmmmm everything was so good! Our cocktails were delicious! The salad was so fresh and tangy, the wings were PERFECT and crispy, the scallops were so succulent and the risotto was creamy and heavenly 🤤 The pizza crust was the perfect balance of chewy and crispy, and the toppings were fresh and tasty. The dessert was a decadent finish we needed to complete the meal. Fabulous!! I can't wait to come back!!!

Lacey, WAS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! She was hands down one of the best experiences I've had at a restaurant/bar. She was extremely attentive and on top of her knowledge but it was due to her loving food... Lacey, you are a GEM! OKAY, now for the food, everything she recommended was A+ the Chefs seem to truly care about the quality of the food forsure. I also met great people with great energy. It was definitely a vibe. I literally went back the next day for the "Beet Ravioli" I am in LOVE with this dish. I also took home a veggie pizza, which had great flavor and was light and delicious. Really happy I found a new spot that I feel good about going to spend my money and time. The staff was amazing, from the host, to the staff who Also delivered our food. This was an unexpected very pleasant experience. Quality truly matters and it shows at this place. ✨️Beet Ravioli- ✔️✔️✔️✔️✔️ (perfection) goat cheese, basil, pistachio butter ✨️Jerk Cauliflower- ✔️✔️✔️ (pretty good needs more flavor for me though) caribbean spice, jerk crema, cilantro ✨️Heirloom Tomatoes- ✔️✔️✔️✔️✔️ (Amazing) burrata cheese, bread pudding, tomato gelée, aged balsamic, fresh basil

Chose Wooden City for my birthday dinner this year. As recommended, we made a reservation and were seated promptly. Served was super attentive and kind. Started off with the bone marrow which I still can’t stop thinking about and also enjoyed the scallops and burger. Wasn’t able to order drinks this time but will def be back cause everything looks and sounds delicious!

From what I can tell, this was the most recommended dinner spot in Tacoma. It certainly lived up to the hype! Enjoyed bone marrow app and split a ceasar to start. Then had the lamb rigatoni. Super tasty food and cocktails. Definitely need a reservation on a weekend & even worth having one on a weeknight.

Thai Pepper is a family-owned restaurant located in downtown Tacoma, offering a comfortable dining atmosphere and authentic Thai cuisine. The menu features traditional Thai dishes such as curries, noodle dishes, stir fries, and unique duck options like duck soup and duck fried rice. Customers praise the flavorful food with generous portions and commend the friendly staff and clean facilities.
Another great spot to pop in if you like great Thai food. My wife and I had a late lunch before our meeting next door and the food was great, service was quick and staff was excellent. The atmosphere was quite and great for a date.

Food was delicious. Great Thai place, has a bar and lots of seating. Got the spiciest volcano macadamia stir fry, red curry and fresh rolls (ask for a side of peanut sauce, it's warm and super good!) Every dish was great and authentic tasting. The peanut sauce was the best I've ever had. Service was suburb! Parking is normal downtown parking but highly recommend trying Thai pepper. We come back soon.

Decided to try this place on a whim. Was craving Thai. i can positively say my cravings were satisfied! I got the Chicken Pad Thai 4 stars spice, I wish it was spicier. Great portions and pretty plating. I also got a seafood combo salad, it was so good. would definitely order this dish again. spice was perfect. The appetizer sampler was good too, I like that it came with 3 different sauces. Our waitress's were very nice.

This was our first time visiting, and we were intrigued after noticing the “okay” signs as we walked in, though we weren’t quite sure what to expect. Unfortunately, the overall experience didn’t meet our expectations. From the moment we entered, the air felt stale and uncomfortably warm, with no noticeable air conditioning — which made it difficult to fully enjoy the meal. While the ambiance had potential, the food itself fell short. The spices lacked depth and flavor, leaving the dishes tasting somewhat bland. Portion sizes also felt inconsistent — some plates were smaller than expected, especially considering the price point. The staff was polite, which we appreciated, but overall, the experience just didn’t come together in a way that would encourage us to return. We hope others have a better visit, but for us, it’s unlikely we’ll be back.
Q J — Google review
The food was absolutely delicious—fresh ingredients, bold flavors, and a variety of options to please every palate. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared, making every bite a delight. Beyond the fantastic food, the owners and staff truly made the experience special. They were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive, making us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. You can tell they take great pride in their restaurant and genuinely care about their customers. The prices are very reasonable, especially considering the quality and portion sizes. It’s the perfect spot for a casual meal or a gathering with friends and family. Highly recommend. I’ll definitely be coming back soon!

We popped in last night for dinner and we were really happy with the food and service. We had pad Thai, spring rolls and crab wonton. All were fresh and well prepared. Our service was the best. Thanks for a great dinner before the show tonight.
Dan M — Google review
My partner and I have been coming to this place (mainly for takeout) for about 5 years so I figure it's time to update my review! Thankfully, the 5 star rating I gave originally has not changed. Sure, the food's a little bit better some nights than others, some dishes are a tiny bit better than others, but the food remains consistently good. Any dish will either be good, great, or amazing! We finally dined-in again last night for probably only the third time over the years. One of the dishes we ordered was the Golden Duck since that's a dish you want to order for dine-in. I loved it! The strong presence of ginger and the wilted greens (spinach?) they include on the platter help cut through the heaviness of duck. And the duck skin was really crispy which was so yummy to eat with white (jasmine?) rice.
Inger F — Google review
Must try the Lemon grass chicken and pad kee Mao, they were absolutely delicious. The mango sticky was one of my favorites as well. The only issue is finding parking on a busy day.

Melon Seed Deli & Frozen Yogurt is a casual spot with a vibrant, color-blocked seating area that offers slider sandwiches and frozen yogurt. It's a favorite among Cheney Stadium staff and is known for its fresh sandwiches and froyo. The dine-in scene is stylish with a green thumb presence, offering an airy atmosphere. The friendly team provides samples of their delicious flavors while serving up beautiful displays of treats.
Excellent food selection, atmosphere, and incredibly friendly service. Fresh ingredients and very flavorful. Adding protein is inexpensive and the salad is premixed so you don't have to shake it 😉 If you're in a hurry I recommend calling ahead. Everything is meticulously crafted. I've had the Greek Salad the last 2 times and each time it was just as good as the last. Highly recommend. Had some froyo while I waited for my food 😁 Don't pass on this hidden gem

I've been coming here for years and the quality continues to exceed my expectations. How is that possible?! The owners are two of the most heart-centered, caring people I've had the blessing of knowing. They love their restaurant, community, food and service to others. If I could only eat at one place in Tacoma, it would be Melonseed deli. From my previous carnivore taste to my now vegetarian exploration, they offer it all. Highly recommend!! Plus the music is always on point - one can't help but feel relaxed and joyful in this space.

This restaurant has been a long time favorite of mine!! The quality of their food has always been top of the line and the owners are deeply kind and caring people. Supporting small businesses is so important and did I mention the food is divine! Hits the spot every time. Bonus for vegetarians- they have top of the line options. No need to worry about picking from 1-2 bland options.

If you haven’t been to this place you’re missing out! This place has extremely flavorful food and frozen yogurt. My daughter had an Italian slider and I had the Chicken Caesar salad and it was absolutely delicious. The ingredients taste fresh & they give fairly large portions of food so you will definitely be full and have some for later. You can tell they love what they do by how they treat every customer and willing to answer any questions or make suggestions. I will be back to try more food on their menu. If you’re in this area check it out. You won’t regret it.

How did I not know about this wonderful gem?! From the entrance, u can just feel the good energy from the employees. The food is AMAZING! (under statement!!) I got the chicken caesar salad & chicken caesar slider. Oooohmygaaawd it was sooooo 💣 💣 💯!! But wat was really impressive was that I saw everyone behind the counter & in the kitchen constantly wiping down counters and putting on or changing gloves. Even though they were concentrating on making orders, they had such an upbeat energy. The lady greeting everyone was very welcoming, even offering fro-yo samples!! I went there a lil bit before closing, but their energy was as if they just started their day. I can't say enough about this place! Go check it out for yourselves, yall can thank me later!! And you WILL love the whole experience!

McMenamins Pub at Elks Temple is a charming spot located in the historic Elks Temple Hotel in downtown Tacoma. The pub offers stunning views of the Puget Sound and boasts beautiful chandelier displays. It's not just a feast for the eyes, but also for your taste buds as they serve up a delectable Thanksgiving dinner with options like classic turkey plate, cider-glazed pork medallions, Alaskan cod, and even a holiday vegan plate.
Food was delicious. Atmosphere was phenomenal. Service was great. It was Easter brunch so they were a little backed up but I give some Grace as we were one of a lot of people there as well as other areas that they serve were also very full and ordering as well. My husband and I shared a full order of the brunch special Benedict which was a shrimp and crab cake with Hollandaise and it was so delightful. Custard French toast, berries and cream that was delightful. Fluffy, custardy and the fresh berries were slightly tart and sweet so they went perfectly. also had the cheddar jalapeno grits as our side and those were so good.

The food was quite bad today at lunch and I got to pay almost 100 bucks for flat soda pop, a bad Asian chicken salad with wilted greens and rubber chicken, a tolerable bowl of chowder, mediocre burger and a decent margarita. Our server was good but the host was completely checked out. My friend insisted on lunch here today...I hope I don't have to return soon.

This was our first time at Elks Temple and we wish we would have had more time. Great atmosphere, we had our pup so limited in what we wanted to do since we got there so late in the day. Beautiful place and so much to see as always at a Mcmenamins. We look forward to returning soon to enjoy the lodge and the shopping nearby.

Extremely fun experience! 4 floors of different themed bars with a secret speakeasy as well! My favorite bar is the old hangout tiki bar in the basement. When I say they FULLY leaned in to the theme, I was impressed. Drinks were delicious and strong, we got the hurricane and my favorite the pain killer, did I mention strong? After a small hint from our fantastic waitress, Rose at the tiki bar, we were able to find the speakeasy which was a swanky intimate venue with quite complex drinks. The Spanish bar for concert venues and the tavern bar with pool and games are also great choices! Be warned the prices are a bit high (about $17 or so for a drink) but it was worth it for a special experience!

Disappointed this time 10-10-2025. This is our 4th time. 1st time was amazing about a year ago 5* second time a month later was great we will call it a 5*, 4 months later it dropped to a solid 3 1/2 * was ignored at the tiki bar for 30 minutes went to the ball room ordered food salmon salad was great service was slow and had to get your own drinks..today I ordered the terminator steak well let me tell you it looked amazing, now the bad it was 3/8 inch thin, had to be 6oz about 4oz after I separated the bristle and fat, about 8 bites of steak. Substituted. Fries for salad it was about 6 bites of salad, wife ordered the blackened salmon this is always good until today after 5-6 bites.. ohhhh there is a hair go to pull it out and it lifted the salmon off the lettuce. OK we done check...my Birthday dinner.. ended at another restaurant. Changed to a 1* from my original 3* because the more I think about it the more upset I get that I even paid for the steak. The steak = $5 steak from Wilco and I could have made it better..

I've not had a good acai bowl since New Jersey. I'm very picky about them so then I found this place out. This place is so good and has been consistent from the few times I've been there. I will definitely be coming back more if I'm around the area! I get the acai bowl with the loaded option. It is definitely on the sweeter side but that may be because of the honey. It's definitely worth it! If you get one you can definitely split it between two people just because of how large it is! Staff has been friendly whenever I came in, but I've also only ordered pickup so far. I unfortunately didn't take pictures because of how good it was.

This place is very cute and the food tasted good, however, I found 2 pieces of plastic in my smoothie and so did my friend I went with. They were very hard thick pieces of plastic and im not sure what happened but it was very off putting and I dont think ill be back.

Got the 🥑 toast and pineapple express juice. BOTH were delicious. I ordered from.DD. But I'll definitely stop by next time I'm in tacoma. Juice tasted fresh and exceeded my expectations as far as flavor goes. I'm impressed. It was a little pricey for my liking, but what isn't expensive these days. Definitely recommend checking this place out.

Tried the 3 day juice cleanse from Gather. I've done several in the past when I want to reset my gut and curb sugar cravings. This was my first time doing theirs and overall it was good. The online ordering process was easy, you need to order 72 hours in advance. I liked the variety of juices throughout the day instead of the same all day, it kept it interesting. Also liked that you could sub out a couple of the juices. But not the lunch, dinner, or PM cashew mylk. I'm not a huge milk drinker so didn't care for the mylk, I couldn't stomach 16 ounces of it at a time especially at night so wish I could have swapped that out but that was not an option. Price was probably on par for the area but I found it a little expensive ($150 all in). Cute store front, casual vibe would be a nice stop for studying or working remotely. Tried the pumpkin pie smoothie as well which was good!

When you first take a bite into the avocado toast it’s like an explosion of flavor! I got the chipotle avocado toast and it was amazing! The bread is soft and moist in the middle and the toasted crust edges are not extremely hard at all making. It easy to bite into it. The spice was perfect and the little flakes of salt add a perfect blend of flavor to enhance the experience. This was well worth the trip and quite filling for breakfast!

The menu features delicious options like fresh oysters with chili sauce, beet salad, and chicken liver mousse. The owner, Brian, is known for his approachable nature and extensive knowledge. The bar boasts unique cocktails and a curated wine selection that perfectly complements the original plates.
My husband and I went to Field and Bottle and were impressed by how creative and well thought out the restaurant was. It gives European cafe vibes while serving up incredible food and creative cocktails. We got a few small plates and the corn risotto with crab which I could not recommend more! The sourdough with ricotta and jam is something I would get everyday if I could. Overall we feel like Tacoma has been missing this type of restaurant. It’s great to see that they partner with local farms to bring this quality of food to the community. We are super excited to see what other creative dishes they come up with in the future.

I wish I could give ten stars! This bar is a one of a kind gem! It started as a bottle shop during Covid and was able to survive and finally open as a bar. The owner Brian makes this place so special. He is a fantastic mixologist and incredible knowledge about all of his wines. Now open for brunch on Saturday and Sunday so we had to check it out. Don’t Not Skip The Sourdough Bread With Blueberries and Ricotta!!! Better than any morning french toast you have ever had. You can come to this place and everyone is so friendly and knowledgeable. Recommend for all that love great wine and crafted cocktails with a perfect cozy atmosphere.

Had a delightful night at Field Bar. Both of our servers were fun and kind, had great menu suggestions. We stood outside, enjoyed the spring feva, and got started while we waited for a table. The food was unbelievable! One of my all-time favorite PNW meals. We did oysters, chicken liver mousse, the asparagus (the broth and mushrooms were delicious surprises), and the Mac and Brie with crab. Cocktails were also perfection, the Alter Ego was coconuty creamy heaven. Really enjoyed the high quality ingredients and exceptional chef work. Thank you Field Bar!

Absolutely loved every bit of the experience here. The food is creative, fresh, seasonal and delicious. I almost walked by this bar, and I am very happy that I decided to check it out. It is a cute small restaurant/cocktail bar with a staff that clearly loves food and drinks. I was here for apertivo (sp?) hour, so their full menu wasn't available yet. I got oysters and the pickle boat. Everything was absolutely delicious, and the flavors worked perfectly together. I don't remember what they put on the oysters, but they were the best I have ever had. I look forward to returning, and I recommend anyone who loves food yo try it out!
