Cafe
Barefoot Garden Cafe is a popular spot for brunch and relaxation, attracting both locals and tourists. It's set in a charming stone-paved courtyard surrounded by a lush frangipani garden. The cafe offers more than just food, with an impressive bookshop featuring Sri Lankan authors, a fashion store showcasing hand-woven fabrics, and an art gallery hosting cultural events like film screenings and poetry readings.
What a charming cafe, conveniently located just a stone's throw from the beach! You'll find a wonderful array of handmade and local treasures to explore here, which are beautiful even just to admire. The cafe itself is expertly designed, feeling like a private tropical escape. And the food? Comforting and incredibly tasty!

This place has a cozy and welcoming atmosphere with a strong cultural vibe. The food from the kitchen is tasty, and the overall ambiance is pleasant. The staff is friendly, the service is good, and the menu offers something for everyone at a fair price. If you're interested in art, you can also visit the Barefoot Gallery nearby. The place has a nice mix of classic and authentic charm. It's a good spot for anyone who appreciates art and a relaxed setting.

✅ Part of the famous Barefoot boutique. ✅ Food is delicious, wide variety to select. ✅ Easy accessibility and parking available. ✅ Spacious. ⚠️️ Staff need more training on serving the customers. ⚠️️ Price of food and beverage are bit high. ⚠️️ Should focus more on maintenance and cleanliness, specially because the tabels are arranged outdoors. 🟢 Recommended
Randima S — Google review
I visited Barefoot Garden Café in Colombo, and it was honestly one of the best café experiences I’ve had — a true 10/10! I ordered the lamb burger with yogurt and mint, which was perfectly seasoned and so satisfying. The spinach quiche was equally delicious, and the crème brûlée was just divine — rich with the perfect touch of sweetness. What made me especially happy was finding milk tea served with condensed milk — something so rare these days, and it felt like home ❤️ The service was friendly and helpful. It took a little effort to get attention at first, but once I did, the staff gave great recommendations and were happy to find replacements or offer solutions when asked. The ambience was calm and welcoming. The café is part of the larger Barefoot brand, which includes a boutique selling beautiful souvenirs, clothing, and even a bookshop — all high-quality products at fair prices. Some might find it slightly expensive, but the quality truly justifies the cost. The nearby toilet was also clean and well-equipped, which I appreciated. I loved that the café is tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city — it’s in an enclosed area, quiet and private, which makes it perfect for a relaxed afternoon. Overall, Barefoot Garden Café is an absolute gem — peaceful atmosphere, wonderful food, and a unique concept that combines culture, shopping, and dining all in one place. Highly recommend this spot for anyone visiting Colombo!
Jane A — Google review
We ate here twice and couldn’t fault the quality of the food, it was some of the freshest we had had across Sri Lanka and it was great to get generous portions of grilled meat and vegetables within the dishes. The food is on the more expensive side compared to other cafe’s, but warranted.

Barefoot Garden Cafe is a gem that never disappoints! I’ve visited quite a few times, and each experience has been consistently above par. The food is delicious, the ambiance is warm and inviting, and the staff are friendly. I was pleasantly surprised that they have a few vegan options available that I actually like, making it a great spot for friends with different dietary preferences. Plus, if you’re into art, the nearby Barefoot Gallery is definitely worth a visit. A perfect place to relax, enjoy good food, and soak in a creative vibe!
Kavinda D — Google review
An Oasis of Good Vibes, Great Food, and Jazz Barefoot Garden Cafe is a must-visit gem in the heart of Colombo. Tucked away beautifully within the Barefoot showroom, this cafe is an urban sanctuary that masterfully blends a relaxed, beach-close atmosphere with an artistic, bustling energy. The garden setting is superb—it's incredibly cozy and spacious, with plenty of shade from the lush tropical greenery. It’s the kind of place that instantly makes you feel relaxed and world's away from the city hustle. The food and drinks are truly delicious. Everything that comes out of the bar and kitchen is fresh, flavorful, and a delight. Whether you're craving a quick bite or a full meal, their menu delivers on quality. What makes the experience even better is the attentive and friendly staff. The service is excellent, making sure you feel welcome and well looked after from the moment you sit down. The undisputed highlight is the Sunday Jazz evening. There is nothing quite like enjoying a meal and a drink under the stars while listening to fantastic live music. It transforms the already lovely garden into a magical, unforgettable experience. If you’re in Colombo, do yourself a favor and make time for a visit. It’s the perfect spot for lunch, a chill afternoon, or a lively Sunday night.

🌿 Review for Barefoot Garden Café, Colombo 🌿 Such a peaceful and beautiful spot in the middle of the city! I really enjoyed my visit — the atmosphere is calm and relaxing, surrounded by greenery and lovely décor. I had a refreshing iced tea, a rich and comforting hot chocolate, and a really good rice dish — everything was delicious and well-prepared. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and it’s the perfect place to unwind, chat, or enjoy a quiet meal. Definitely one of my favorite cafés in Colombo! 💚☕🍃

Cafe Kumbuk is a popular spot in the upscale Cinnamon Gardens area, near attractions like the National Museum and Independence Square. It's highly regarded among expats and is known for its great coffee, delicious food, and inviting atmosphere with a Sri Lankan aesthetic. The cafe also features an outdoor terrace and a shop selling ethical Sri Lankan souvenirs. Emphasizing healthy, sustainable living, Cafe Kumbuk uses fresh, local produce for its ever-changing menu.
Gorgeous little cafe tucked away near the museum. Had the prawn taco and a passion-mint tea - the flavours were amazing. They really use local flavours with fan favourite dishes. Harith, who was serving made great reccomendations and was so kind. I really reccommend this cafe for a relaxed lunch or if ypu need to remote work for a few hours.

If you’re looking for a cozy little escape from the city’s hustle, this café is the perfect spot. Tucked away in the middle of Colombo, it blends comfort and nature beautifully while serving up food that truly delights. Since the day they opened, they’ve stayed true to their concept and branding, which I really admire. The menu has something for everyone, including vegans, and the variety is impressive. The staff is friendly, service is good, and the food is consistently tasty. From their current menu, I have to say the mango pancakes are an absolute favorite of mine — highly recommended! It’s definitely a place I’d love to visit again and again. One small suggestion for the management: the outdoor seating area tends to attract a few mosquitoes and flies. Maybe adding some bug-repellent plants could help make it even more enjoyable. Other than that, everything is spot on.

I had an amazing experience at this restaurant! The atmosphere was cozy and charming, with a lovely wooden interior that made it feel both relaxed and welcoming. The highlight, though, was the food. Everything tasted fresh and thoughtfully made—from the crisp greens to the flavorful meat and the deliciously runny yolk. Even the coffee was great—smooth, rich, and served with care. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for a delicious and satisfying brunch! Will definitely be returning.

Highly recommended Cafe Kumbuk 🤗 Ten of us had a wonderful breakfast experience at this cozy cafe. Starting from making the reservation to, finding us parking spots to, serving good food to our oveall experience was very good. They have decent spread of food covering meat lovers, Vegans, Vegetarians. Tasty food, lovely atmosphere, friendly staff. Look a like they are very busy on weekends, better to make a reservation in advance.

food was okay, we got this pineapple rice dessert and it was really good but the pineapple on top did not do any good. we got pancake and it was burnt on the bottom but they made sure to get us a new pancake set and their customer service was above and beyond. i also got the banana matcha and it was okay. but overall really liked their customer service, they were so nice.

What a great little hideaway. I had a great lunch/coffee. Raj waited on me and provided an excellent recommendation when I asked for something unique and refreshing. The island cooler he brought me was perfect for the warm afternoon. The coffee here was also very good. I was looking for a quality afternoon coffee after a very weak coffee at breakfast and Cafe Kumbuk delivered with a top notch flat white. Highly recommend.
Stephanie B — Google review
Excellent and tasty food using local fresh ingredients, thoughtfully presented. Served with a smile in a delightful plant-filled courtyard setting. We got the savoury croffle (with pork) and the Kumbuk breakfast board which had a selection of delicious treats including avocado toast, granola with fruit and an orange turmeric shot.

I had the pleasure of visiting this place once with my family to celebrate my dad’s birthday in November 2023. And guess what? My friends even arranged my bridal shower at the same place in July 2024! For special occasions like these, they have a dedicated private area, which is super convenient. It’s a lovely and clean place, very cozy and inviting. The staff were incredibly helpful and attentive during the events. They provided everything we needed and even went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we required. And let me tell you, their food was absolutely delicious! There was nothing to complain about. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a memorable experience.

Wow! The “Yellow Chicken Rice” at The Commons is absolutely delicious — a wonderful new addition to their lunch menu. The presentation was excellent, and the flavor was spot on. A big thanks to Steward Priyantha for his outstanding customer service. Both my kids were love this dish, Highly recommend trying the Yellow Rice at The Commons!

The food is so delicious here and the number of items in the menu is overwhelming. They have literally everything. I’d highly recommend their roti and the other Sri Lankan dishes.

What a welcoming and warm atmosphere! The place feels spacious and has a home-like vibe. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the service is impressively quick. I was pleasantly surprised by how good the food tasted; many 'cafes' often miss the mark on flavor. While the value for money is reasonable given the overheads and portion sizes, it's definitely worth a visit for all foodies. Overall, it's a must-visit spot for a peaceful and cozy hangout with friends, family, or that special someone

Its a bakery plus restaurant. The bakery goods were actually yummy. The cheesy chicken pasta was good however the spicy chicken pasta wasn’t up to the standard. Generous portion. Reasonable prices. Less food options in the brunch hours !

Café on the 5th is a cozy and friendly place that’s perfect for relaxing or meeting friends. The moment you walk in, you feel calm and welcome. They have a comfortable setup that makes you want to stay for a while. The food is fresh and full of flavor. They serve a good mix of meals and snacks from creamy pasta and crispy sandwiches to fluffy waffles and delicious desserts. The breakfast options are also great, especially the omelets and toast with freshly brewed coffee. The coffee is rich and smooth, whether you like it hot or iced. Their brownies and cheesecakes are also worth trying sweet, soft, and perfectly made. The staff are friendly and helpful, always smiling and making sure customers are happy. The service is quick, and prices are fair for the quality and portion size. Parking is easy too there’s enough space near the café, so you don’t have to worry about finding a spot.

We recently visited Café on the 5th for their hopper feast, and it was absolutely incredible! The hoppers were fresh, perfectly crispy, and full of flavor—each bite was a treat. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making it a great spot for a relaxed meal. Highly recommend Café on the 5th for anyone looking to enjoy authentic Sri Lankan food, especially hoppers! We’ll definitely be back for more.

We visited the place for dinner. We ordered some cheese hoppers, and they were delicious and worth the money. However, the roasted chicken kottu we ordered was not as expected. It was a little too juicy, and the taste was not good. We were disappointed with the quality of the kottu, and the chili paste served was absolute rubbish. If you’re looking for kottu, this is definitely not the place. I wouldn’t recommend it at all. But the hoppers were good.

Sri Lankan | Cafe | Good food The menu was vast, the service was good but some dishes were a hit or a miss. Some of the dishes were great like the hoppers, but some were way off in terms of taste and everything smelt fishy. Overall, decent experience.

Great Food, Great Value, and a Super Smooth Digital Experience! I recently visited Tea Avenue Jawatte and had such a positive experience! The entire staff was super friendly and welcoming from the moment we walked in.The new digitalized ordering system is truly a game-changer. It was really easy,we just had to scan the QR code, choose exactly what we needed, and then had the option to pay online by card or pay at the counter with the new digitalized system. The efficiency was amazing; even though it was a bit busy at the moment we walked in, this system made placing our order quick, and our food was ready super fast, landing on our table within minutes.A big shout-out to Ishen and his colleagues for introducing the digital menu to us and ensuring we were comfortable with the process. That level of service, combined with the convenience, really sets them apart. On top of the great tech and service, the food delivered! The portion sizes were really good, and honestly, the food and beverages were totally worth the price. Great value all around. Highly recommend checking this place out!

I recently made a special order for red velvet cheesecake which was one of their best cakes. I tasted the cake, it was not as good as it used to be before, the red velvet cheesecake supposed to have sponge cake with sugar syrup but this time it had normal butter cake, also the cream cheese frosting was quite less, anyway I was half way happy with the frosting. Hope your quality improves. The standard of TEA AVENUE has regressed so much 😕 I felt it was not worth for the price, cheesecakes are expensive due to their cream cheese, but this cake had more of cake and less of cream cheese :(( Compare pic 1 and pic 2 ( pic one the cake that I had before and pic 2 the cake I got yesterday)

t-Lounge by Dilmah – Chatham Street is a haven for tea enthusiasts in Colombo, Sri Lanka. It's the go-to place for an extensive selection of unblended teas, including Exceptionals, Gourmet tea selection, Ceylon Green tea, organic selection, infusions, Elixir of Ceylon tea, and more.
I had a wonderful experience at t-lounge by Dilmah – Chatham Street! The atmosphere was calm, quiet, and perfect for relaxing with a good treat. I tried the Pink Tres Leches Cake and the Cinnamon Matcha Tea Shake—both were absolutely delightful. The cake was soft, moist, and had just the right level of sweetness, while the shake offered a refreshing and unique twist with its subtle cinnamon notes blending perfectly with matcha. The staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive, making the visit even more enjoyable. It’s great to see high-quality Ceylon tea being showcased so beautifully on an international platform. A truly proud moment for Ceylon tea lovers, and a spot I’d definitely recommend to anyone looking for a cozy tea-inspired experience.

One of my best loved cafes in Colombo. The interior and the details are spot on. Cozy little gem of a place serving a variety of drinks and food. A lot of foreigners milling in and out of this cafe. They serve a welcome drink in a tiny mug, which is very thoughtful. I was mind-blown by the mungo strawberry drink today. They’ve used flavored black tea with mango pulp & chucks of strawberry to curate the drink, it was truly refreshing with very very minimal sugar. The spicy chicken crepe was great too, the flavors were on point albeit would have loved more stuffing in the crepe. Staffs are quite friendly and welcoming feedbacks. Very cozy little outlet. Definitely my go to spot every-time I need some me time. Prices are slightly on the higher side plus the VAT and tax is heavy on the bill

I had the chance to visit T Lounge in Colombo and it was a truly unique experience. The variety of teas they offer is astonishing and each one feels carefully crafted. The tea experience itself was superb and the ambiance of the place makes it even more enjoyable. The service was a little slow start but picked up later . The food was also very good and paired well with the tea. The place itself is an experience and I’m glad I found this place . Plenty of variety to try their tea and I’d surely come back Overall, T Lounge is a wonderful spot to enjoy a relaxed tea experience. The atmosphere is warm, the tea selection is excellent, and the food is worth trying. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Colombo.

Dropped by t-Lounge by Dilmah and had their katsu chicken burger and Kandy Lamissi Iced tea – absolutely delicious! The portions was generous and definitely worth the price. The menu has a great spread with plenty of interesting options. Looking forward to my next visit!

These iced teas were incredible. Honestly, they beat every tea or lemonade I’ve ever had in Europe. Perfectly balanced, super refreshing and full of flavor. If you’re even remotely into tea, don’t skip this place.

Excellent tea house. We were looked after by Dinojan and was an insightful visit as we also learnt about the history of Dilmah and were introduced to a delicious infusion of iced blueberry and clove tea. Would highly recommend when in the Dutch hospital area!!!

Seed Cafe is a charming spot that offers picturesque dishes and excellent coffee, making it an ideal choice for a leisurely brunch. The cafe caters to those seeking healthy and vegan options, with a diverse selection of nutritious items. While the menu may be limited in terms of desserts, the focus on wholesome fare is evident. Popular among international visitors, Seed Cafe boasts an elegant ambiance with both indoor and outdoor seating options.
My wife and I ordered the Beef Benny croissant and the pesto chicken bagel burger. Both dishes were excellent. I loved how crunchy the croissant was and the flavors were just right. The seasoning had the perfect balance of salt and the portion sizes were spot on. Many cafes tend to overdo the salt but Seed Cafe has got it just right. The coffee was delicious too. We tried the latte and really enjoyed it. Definitely coming back for more.

Ordered the Pesto and chicken Bagel Burger and Vietnamese Iced coffee. The pesto sauce was drizzled in the plate and not inside of the burger which I was fine with since I'm not a pesto sauce fan. The presentation of the bagel burger was excellent. The burger overall was average. The Vietnamese Iced coffee was good but don't expect it to be similar to the authentic. The seating and ambience was chill and good place to hangout with friends and family. You have to self order and the waiters are friendly and good service. The tax and service charge is included in the menu price of the item. There's enough free parking

One of the best brunch spots in town with absolutely incredible food and drinks! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm, vibrant, and welcoming — the perfect setting for a relaxed weekend brunch. Everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared with obvious care and creativity. The menu is thoughtfully designed, offering a perfect balance of comforting classics and inventive new dishes that make every visit exciting. We started with the Seed of Life Big Breakfast, which was a feast on a plate — perfectly cooked eggs, crispy bacon, flavorful sausages, and freshly toasted bread, all plated beautifully. The Beef Benny Croissant was another standout, with tender slices of beef, silky hollandaise, and a buttery croissant that melted in the mouth. Every bite was simply delightful! The drinks were equally impressive. The Salted Caramel Latte was rich and smooth, with just the right hint of sweetness, while the Dark Chocolate Mocha offered deep, indulgent flavors that paired perfectly with our meal. Overall, this place nails every aspect of a great brunch — from presentation and taste to service and atmosphere. Whether you’re catching up with friends, celebrating something special, or just treating yourself, this spot is an absolute winner. Highly recommend! 🍴

We were three friends who visited Seed Café in Colombo for breakfast, and it was such a pleasant experience. The place has a really warm and cozy atmosphere perfect to start the day with good food and great company. The staff were friendly and welcoming from the moment we stepped in, and the service was quick and attentive without feeling rushed. We tried a few different breakfast options, and everything we ordered tasted fresh and nicely presented. The food was tasty and portion sizes were just right. The coffee was also really good rich in flavor and served hot, which we really appreciated. The café feels calm and relaxing, with nice music and a clean, minimal setup that gives off a peaceful vibe. Overall, we were happy with our visit. If you’re in Colombo looking for a chill spot to enjoy breakfast with friends or family, Seed Café is definitely worth a visit. We’ll surely come again next time!

Came here with my friends for a hearty brunch and It absolutely did not disappoint. What we ordered was the beef benni, Pesto & Chicken bagel burger, butternut squash Roti stack with grilled mushroom and Red pepper hummus toast. For beverages we had the vietnamese coffee and the strawberry Matcha Among the main dishes the beef benni was absolutely delish. However if you want a safe option, the bagel is the choice. Regardless it's a Flavor bomb in your mouth. The drinks personally I enjoyed the matcha however the Vietnamese coffee with the a variety of spices really elevated the flavor. That's definitely recommended. Lastly the customer service was as expected. Polite, welcoming with a friendly atmosphere I would however like a minor update to the menu, that is to split the drinks menu where the chocolate and matcha options are together. Adding on Matcha chocolate would be a great addition to the menu.

We had a great breakfast at seeds coffee. Atmosphere is great in a very nice building in a quiet street in Colombo. My highlight was the coldbrew, that was very very fruity and tasty. Food was also delicious with good vegetarian options. Prices I would say are within normal range for western cafe‘s in the area. Would definitely recommend coming here.

The food was delicious and full of flavor, and the atmosphere was nice and inviting. Even the drinks stood out, creative, refreshing, and beautifully presented. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a cozy spot with great food and unique beverages.

Seed Café has a unique vibe — set in an old building that gives off a beautiful historical feel, making the whole experience cozy and memorable. The food was absolutely amazing; every dish was full of flavor and cooked to perfection. I especially loved the delicious taste that clearly comes from quality ingredients. Prices are on the higher side ($$$), but totally worth it for the quality. There's no air conditioning, but the natural ventilation works well enough to keep things comfortable. Overall, a 5-star spot for anyone who enjoys great food in a place with character.

Simply Strawberries is a cafe in the Cotton Collection Premises in Colombo that serves up delectable desserts and sweet treats. It's popular for its Brownies, Scones, Ice cream and other options, all of which are topped with delicious strawberries. This cosy cafe is well-equipped with a trendy decor and offers a peaceful atmosphere during your time here.
A great place to have desserts... Simply strawberries is one of my go-to places for desserts. Especially when it feels like having some strawberries. I have been there with my family and colleagues too. Recently I went there with some colleagues to have an afternoon snack/dessert. The atmosphere was quiet as usual and very calm. We quickly went through the menu and made our selections. They have a grate range of desserts containing fresh strawberries, natural strawberry topping, raspberry toppings along with ice cream, waffle, cakes, cheesecakes and many more. In the beverage department you have coffee, fresh strawberry juice and milkshakes. Now they offer New York style cheesecake, lemon cheesecake and double chocolate cheesecake where you can have them with or without your choice of toppings apart from the usual strawberry and raspberry cheesecakes. We ordered Meringue sundae, strawberry topping & Ice cream, strawberry tart, classic new York style cheesecake, double chocolate cheesecake. All were pretty good. We liked them. And they were filling too. Be warned that some of the options have big portion sizes almost like a meal. Especially sundaes, waffles. We received a nice and efficient service from the staff. We didn't have to wait longer to get the order. Overall we had a nice time with some yummy desserts. As always we loved it.
Charitha R — Google review
This is a small outlet of Simply strawberries. Just two people are working here and only self service is available. However it was almost filled when I visited on a saturday afternoon. Strawberry cheese cake was delicious and worth the price but Strawberry Milkshake wasn't up to the mark and exorbitantly priced in my opinion. Service is fast and waiting time was roughly about five minutes. Ambience is alright.

Visited Simply Strawberries recently and had a lovely experience! We tried the strawberry cheesecake, it was delicious, with fresh strawberries that added the perfect touch of sweetness. The ambiance was calm and pleasant, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy a dessert. Definitely worth a visit if you’re a fan of strawberry treats! 🍰✨

I'm absolutely in love with this boutique. It's a peaceful spot located right in front of the Cotton Collection clothing store, which offers convenient parking. However, it can only accommodate a few people at a time, as there are only four tables available. The menu is exclusively desserts, so if you're looking for hot dishes, this might not be the right place for you. The food is delicious, especially the Waffles with Berries & Cream, which are my favorite. However, the portion sizes are smaller compared to other Jagro locations, so I'm giving it 4 stars.
Arosh A — Google review
Simply Strawberries by Jagro at Cotton Collection is an absolute delight! The strawberries are fresh, juicy, and beautifully presented. I especially loved their strawberry cheesecake – creamy, perfectly balanced, and incredibly satisfying. The staff is friendly and attentive, making the experience even better. The only downside is the limited seating, but the quality of the treats more than makes up for it!
Kavinda D — Google review
Nice place to sit and enjoy smoothie. However, seats are extremely limited that I had to finish my smoothie as soon as possible so I can let the next people sit. Prices are quite high comparing to the drink quality, it tastes just alright, nothing very special.

It's a nice, calm place, and even the outdoor seating doesn't feel hot due to the tree shades. The important thing is there is plenty of parking space. They serve really delicious strawberry-related desserts!

Milk & Honey Café is a charming spot known for its delightful ambience and delicious vegetarian cuisine, with some meat options available. The café offers refreshing drinks and an all-day breakfast menu, along with wholemeal wraps, salad bowls, and intriguing mains like miso vegetables with tofu and sticky rice. It has gained popularity in Colombo for its healthy offerings including sandwiches, wraps, smoothies, cakes, and brownies.
This place has the perfect ambiance to relax and unwind after a long day. Absolutely love the atmosphere and the food! The cafe is aesthetically pleasing, conveniently located and the service is great. Right next to the cafe you have a bookstore with an amazing collection of your favourite novels! Unfortunately it closes early (around 6pm)

A hidden gem in the middle of the city! The ambiance here is super cozy perfect for winding down or catching up with friends. The aesthetic is on point, both inside and out, with some nice outdoor seating under umbrellas too. It’s calm and peaceful despite being in a busy area. The food is impressive fresh, well-presented, and mostly healthy. I really enjoyed the wraps and sandwiches. They’ve also got a good range of smoothies and vegan options. Drinks could be a bit cooler, but still enjoyable. One thing that stands out is the adjoining bookstore such a vibe! It’s filled with novels, puzzles, and cute stationery. Only downside is there’s no air con. Overall, this spot is perfect for a laid-back hangout with good food and good vibes. Definitely going back!

Additionally, customers can indulge in their delectable ice cream specials like the banana split and gelato maxi which are definitely worth the investment.

I visited this place in last sunday. The Ice cream flavours are really good and tasty. I tried their large cup which you can select 04 flavours. It cost rs. 880 since its Black Friday. I choosed milo, chocoreo, passion and some blue color one. I can’t remember the flavor. I liked the taste of the chocoreo and passion others were not that good. And when we compare the prices the prices are not reasonable.

I visited "il gelato" and tried their strawberry sorbet, while my wife opted for the chocolate gelato. The place had a cozy and inviting ambiance, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. However, I was disappointed to find that the menu had limited options compared to other branches of "il gelato." Despite this, the strawberry sorbet was delicious, and my wife enjoyed her chocolate gelato. Overall, "il gelato" is a decent place to satisfy your gelato cravings, but if you're looking for a wider range of flavors, you might want to check out their other branches.

This place offers creamy and delicious Italian style gelato ice cream and there's a good range to choose from with intense flavors. Make sure to taste before making any commitments cause some can be overly sweet for your taste, specially the berries and fruity ones. You can try two flavors in one cup.

Just ok. Nothing to be too excited about. And most flavours has a lingering bitter after taste. Staff were rather quick to clear and getting ready to close though we were inside and the time was just 9.30 pm.

Just tasted a rum n raisin ice cream. It was the worst ever I had in Sri lanka but not the first gelato experience. I feel its quite old n expired stuff out there. So think twice before buying at odel ward place. I simply left the Ice-cream at the table n left. Who ever manages this place, please look into this for gelato sake.
Asoka B — Google review
The customer service was quite bad. The lady who served was very rude and the ice cream in the cone started dripping from the bottom, 10 seconds after serving it to me. When I requested for another cone to put it under the cone given, she declined the request. Then I asked for a cup because the ice cream was coming off from the bottom which she gave. It was such a hassle. Highly disappointed with what happened and the unpleasant experience.

Tasty Caterers, located in Nawala, Colombo, is a delightful dining destination that offers an impressive variety of meals at affordable prices. This eatery showcases all the signature dishes that have made Tasty Caterers a beloved choice among locals. Visitors rave about the freshness and quality of their offerings, from delectable eclairs and muffins to mouthwatering lasagnas. The consistency in taste across all branches is commendable, thanks to their well-trained team who ensures every dish meets high standards.
Always a preferred outlet in Colombo 5 for short eats, kottu, and hoppers. The other branches of this group are equally popular. The food is tasty—true to its name—and portions are served in the right, appealing size. There’s also space to dine in. A spot not to be missed if you want to enjoy pastries and a variety of other dishes of your choice.

Extremely disappointed with my recent experience at Tasty Caterers, Nugegoda. I had previously ordered the trio of soup last year and was genuinely impressed – it was flavorful and well-prepared. Based on that positive experience, I reordered the same dish recently, but unfortunately, it was a major letdown. The tomato soup looked curdled and tasted watery, completely lacking the richness I remembered. The chicken soup was overly salty, and while slightly better, still far from enjoyable. The third soup didn’t stand out either. I also ordered a chicken roll, which was quite underwhelming in both taste and texture. It’s really disheartening to see such a noticeable drop in quality. This was once one of my go-to places for good food, but sadly, this experience has made me reconsider future orders.
Avanti W — Google review
Tasty Caterers offers decent service with friendly and attentive staff. The food was average, and while the staff can be a bit loud at times, they do ensure events run smoothly. Good for simple catering needs, but the food itself could be improved.
Gavin C — Google review
Generally, I quite like food from Tasty. This morning I decided to pick something up and then changed my mind to sit inside and eat...and unfotunately it was quite a poor experince. The Food: Got an egg sandwich, beef sanwich, and fish patty. Fish patty was fine - no complains. Beef sandwich had a generous amount of meet - but was bland - it needed more mustard sauce or something as it was dry too. The egg sandwich tasted more like poor margarine than egg. It needed salt, pepper, snd more egg instead of margarine. Overall, not thrilled with today's food I got. The Service: The staff this morning were less than friendly (no good morning or smile) and didn't seem pleased when I asked for a plate and wanted to sit inside after changing my mind. The 'take away' bag didn't have a single paper napkin and neither did the table I sat down to eat at...so until I specifically asked for a napkin, it wasn't even anything the staff considered (they were not busy at all - just oblivious and didn't care). Overall, they had an attitude as if they were doing us a favor... ...this is until I noticed how filthy the chairs were and confronted them about it and started taking pictures. This is when sheepish smiles and a more welcoming attitude was adopted. The Atmosphere: I don't have much good to say here. It was disgusting and unacceptable. I expected (probably incorrectly) a lot better from Tasty. Refer to the images of the filthy chairs attached as it would speak volumes... Management at Tasty - really hope you act quickly to rectify these issues.

Dilip, I truly appreciate your excellent customer service and the extra effort you took to ensure everything was perfectly delivered.

Each bite offered layers of flavor that reflect the chef’s attention to detail and passion for quality. The coffee? Outstanding. It’s rare to find a place in Colombo that consistently delivers such rich, smooth, and well-balanced coffee and Grind has truly mastered it. What truly stood out was the incredible customer service. Despite facing unexpected power cuts during our visit, the team remained gracious, transparent, and accommodating. They offered thoughtful alternatives and continuously checked in on us with sincere apologies for the delays. Been there many times and it's the best coffee spot in Colombo. Very good and quality coffee, amazing and helpful staff (last time they helped me to set my grinder). Best place for a tasty brownie and tiramisu. The seating arrangements could be improved. The staff were friendly and helpful. The place was too (I'm not exaggerating) noisy due to a children's birthday party, which spoiled our experience. They should be strict on the rules, for the better experience of all the customers. Other than that loved the place and good.

If you're on the hunt for a cookie fix in Colombo, look no further than Brick Lane Cookie Company. This delightful spot stands out in a city where cookies are often crafted by home bakers. Their menu boasts an array of enticing flavors, with the red velvet cookie stealing the spotlight as a top choice. Priced at Rs. 160, this oversized treat captures the essence of red velvet cake with its soft texture and creamy white chocolate chips that melt in your mouth.
They got the best red velvet cookies in town

The workers were so bad they misbehaved a lot. Once they were recording me and my friends when we were in the crescert food court. The flasher of their phone was also on but they saud that they weren’t recording us. And when we accused them of staring at us unnecessarily they said that the work there and can look wherever they want. I wanted to buy cookies but didn’t because of their misbehavior. I hope u change the workers soon. They were a boy and a girl.

Kiri Kōpi - Colombo is a delightful all-day café that perfectly blends a cozy atmosphere with an enticing menu. Whether you're in the mood for expertly crafted espresso drinks, refreshing iced coffees, or creative mocktails, this spot has you covered. Their breakfast offerings are imaginative and include delicious pastries like chocolate croissants that are fresh and crispy. The ambiance is warm and inviting, making it an ideal place to unwind with a book or catch up with friends.
I recently visited Kiri Kopi - Colombo to read while sipping a cup of coffee. The ambience was warm and welcoming. I ordered a chocolate croissant, a mushroom toast and a hot chocolate. The croissant and the hot chocolate was really good, not too sweet but just the right amount. The croissant was so fresh and crispy , just what I was looking for. The hot chocolate was super creamy and rich in flavor. The toast however was too salty for my liking. I mentioned this to the staff and they took it well. They apologized to me, redid the toast and was kind enough to add an extra layer of cheese on the toast. I was so surprised when they offered me a drink on the house and also refunded my full payment ! The manager was also very attentive and helpful. The staff and their service was excellent but I found the place a little noisy to focus on my book. Overall I had a nice experience at Kiri Kopi.

Visited one of the newest cafes in Colombo — Kiri Kōpi Colombo. The interior is minimalist, giving off a cozy and comfortable vibe. The staff were friendly and the service was good. The coffees were nice, though not particularly memorable. The brownie and croissant, however, were really delicious. The place was quite loud, likely because it was crowded during our visit. Overall, it’s a nice spot for coffee and a quick bite if you don’t mind a lively atmosphere.

The brownie and the carrot cake were yummmmy. Atmosphere was great too. There was an issue with my coffee but the management handled it quite professionally. Menu looked really good but didn’t have the opportunity to taste the food.. hopefully another time.

I had an absolutely wonderful time at Kiri Kopi Café. From the moment we walked in, the cozy atmosphere and welcoming vibe made it the perfect spot to unwind. The food and beverages were simply amazing. Every bite and sip was full of flavor and prepared with such care. What made the experience even better was the exceptional service. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely nice, making us feel right at home. Whether you're in the mood for a great coffee, a delicious meal, or just a relaxed hangout with friends, Kiri Kopi is the place to be. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a superb place to chill and enjoy great food with even greater company!

I visited Kirikopi last week and I honestly didn’t want to leave. The interior has such a cozy and stylish vibe warm lighting, clean modern design, and a perfect balance of chill and classy. It’s the kind of place where you could work, relax, or catch up with friends for hours. The food selection is impressive fresh pastries, amazing cookies, and their coffee was top-notch. I also tried one of their juices and it was super refreshing. But what really made my experience special was the service. Tharindu, our server, was absolutely wonderful kind, attentive, and genuinely warm. He made great recommendations and kept checking in on us with a smile. You can really feel when someone enjoys what they do, and Tharindu clearly brings heart to his work. If you’re in Colombo and looking for a calm, welcoming café with great food and excellent service, Kirikopi is a must-visit and don’t forget to say hi to Tharindu!

Arrived on a Sunday and was slightly overwhelmed by the rush. By the time we had seated ourselves there wasn't a single space free. This is a testament to its popularity. However on the down side it was literally a fight to make yourself heard in one open space. The food was good and the drinks were great. Again I found myself wishing for taller glasses with a little more ml.

This café used to be one of my absolute favourites I would visit almost every week, sometimes even twice a week and it was always a place I could rely on for good food and consistency sadly, over the past few visits the experience has gone downhill and I feel it’s important to share this feedback. One of the first things that really concerned me was finding hair in my food not once, but twice on two separate visits both times my order had to be changed even after that I decided to give the café another chance because I really loved certain dishes, especially the wonton soup which used to be my go to whenever I craved comfort food However, during my most recent visit the wonton soup was completely watery, with no flavour at all When I raised this with the staff, instead of acknowledging the issue properly I was told “oh it’s not good? I’ll change it.” The soup was replaced, but unfortunately it was still exactly the same the lack of care in both the preparation and the response from the staff was honestly very disappointing we spent almost 15,000 today, and I can confidently say it was not worth the money at all. For a café that once felt like a weekly go to spot it’s sad to see the quality dropping with every visit. Good food and consistency are what keep customers coming back and lately, both have been missing I truly hope the management takes this feedback seriously because this place used to be special. But as it stands right now, I don’t think I would want to come back again
