1InterContinental Yokohama Grand by IHG

The InterContinental Yokohama Grand, an IHG Hotel, is a luxurious accommodation housed in a distinctive sail-shaped building. Situated in the vibrant area around Minato-Mirai Station and Rinko Park, it offers relaxed quarters with stunning harbor views and access to a spa. The hotel is part of the Yokohama skyline, which boasts other upscale hotels like the Yokohama Bay Hotel Tokyu.
Updated, Oct 11 from 3 to 5 star review I got the information today that there is a typhoon coming on the 13th of October. If I stay as the original plan until 13th, I may stuck in Tokyo with another two nights… This will ruins my whole trip plan. I can’t go to sleep, so I did a mid night jogging and talk with the front desk when I came back. Ayano knows about the weather situation, and helps me to cancel the last one night stay. This extra two star is giving to her for helping the customer. Thank you Ayano and wish you all the best. The Grand InterContinental is an iconic hotel in the Yokohama area, but it’s showing its age. The best value here is the beautiful Bay view and the reliable, standard service you’d expect from a major hotel. However, if you’re a Diamond or Platinum member, don’t expect much elite recognition — I didn’t receive any upgrade despite my status. The location is decent but not the most convenient. It’s about 1.7 km from Yokohama Station, so you’ll likely need to take a taxi or the Minato Mirai Line. It’s a good choice if you have business nearby or plan to visit during summer fireworks, as it’s close to the exhibition hall and many offices. I booked last minute for ¥44,000, which felt a bit expensive, though understandable given recent inflation. Still, I probably wouldn’t stay again — there are better options nearby, such as the Hyatt Regency Yokohama. I requested an upgrade and even just a king bed instead of two singles, but both were unavailable. I’m giving this hotel 3 stars — one star off for the lack of upgrades, and another for the outdated facilities.

We stayed here to celebrate my birthday and New Year’s Eve. While the location and views are beautiful, our experience was initially disappointing because the room we received didn’t match the photos shown online. We had to contact the hotel and insist on a change, which honestly shouldn’t happen at this level of property. That said, once the situation was addressed, the team did upgrade us to a corner suite — which we truly appreciated. The suite was lovely and comfortable, and we’re grateful to the staff for finally helping us make the most of our stay. Still, I hope the hotel makes a stronger effort in the future so guests don’t have to argue to get what was promised. We are coming back again on December 2025...hope this time is different.

I stayed at this hotel for a week while attending OPIE2025. It’s conveniently connected to the Pacifico Yokohama Convention Center, which made getting to the event fast and easy. The stay was smooth from start to finish. The room was flawless and had a stunning view of the ocean, especially during sunset. I spent countless hours just watching the boats go by. Breakfast was very good — the shrimp sandwich and the full Japanese option from the menu were especially memorable. The restaurant also offers a nice variety of drinks and beers throughout the day. Overall, a great experience.

Excellent hotel, Excellent Room and facility. Stayed there for a week dueing a conference and they offer everything that you expect from such a hotel. Rooms were spacious and offered great views of the river and rides across. Breakfast in the restraunt was sumptuous, including enough oprions for vegetarians (I really liked their vegetable-Juice).
Nakul S — Google review
We booked this hotel for our first family trip to Japan. Oh, what a welcome! The hotel has a huge building overlooking Yokohama Bay, our spacious room has a window directly facing the Cosmo Clock 21 - Yokohama's landmark. Viewing the wheel beaming colorful at night was a beautiful experience, with "FlyDay Chinatown" song in the background. The room was spacious, meticulously cleaned, and generously stockes. Breakfast was also abundant and tasty: we had natto (japanese fermented black soybean) with miso soup and rice, quintessentially japanese and unforgettable! Staff was great and very polite. Big advantage: the location is very ideal to explore Yokohama! The World Porter Mall and Cosco Clock are walking distance, souvenir cosmetic shop in Porter Mall great, and cable car connection to train station. Enjoy the wonderful view of the Nippon Maru ship on the way! Walking distance also from Minato Mirai station, and also to Cup Noodle Museum - a very important pilgrimage for foodies! Thank you Intercontinental Yokohama Grand - we will be back!

The Intercontinental is a landmark building in the Minatomirai district: visible from afar and with a great view of the harbour. We only visited the beautiful hotel lobby and the excellent bar, so cannot say anything about the rooms, but the very helpful staff made every effort to make our brief stay pleasant, suggesting good cocktails, local spirits and assisting us with a charger for an empty phone. Can definitely recommend.
Maurits W — Google review
Great location, wonderful staffs, and transportation is surprisingly good. However, the rooms really need to be updated. I felt I walked back into the 80’s when I enter my room. No USB-A/C outlet, old cabinets, and the room feels worn. I love everything but the room
Danny L — Google review
IHG, are you kidding me?! 1. The Hotel lobby is all marble and golden everything. Nice! But I dont live in the lobby. I live in the room. And the rooms is just like a Holiday Inn (which I respect when it does not pretend to be an Intercontinental) - dated back 1980s! Worn out furniture, old style everything. Do you ever invest in changes??? At least since 1985? 2. HOTEL SERVICES. IT IS JUST INEXPLICABLE - How come that bars and coffeeshops close at 22:00-23:00??????????????????????? Your hotel is the markup of the city, you're almost on the flag of Yokohama and the face of the city... And having said that I cannot have a drink in your hotel after 10-11pm??? Because everything is closed! I like it when the business is so well doing that the business does not need money... but I need to sit somewhere in the evening and have a drink talking to friends. 3. That rare moment when we managed to get to the bar on the 2nd floor. The staff did not let us in because THEY NEEDED 15 MINUTES to clean a table!!! and it was 30 minutes before last order should be placed. Can you imagine that??? I have just been to Bangkok where 3 minutes before the kitchen was closed and the staff did everything to get me inside and bring me the food. Instead, in IC Yokohama Grand they did everything to repel me from entering. Nice job :) We had to make the pressure and push as much as you can do in Japan. That only let us through! Vey strange place I must say. Vey strange. P.S. To the Guest Experience Manager who happened to respond to my comment. I do not know exactly when it became popular and trendy to apologize for the mess in one's department and keep doing nothing. I noticed it about 20 years ago, with hotels, air companies and like that. I want you to hear me and I am being straightforward and rough. I do not need your apologies. I do not need you insincere common words (that could have been generated by an AI or put in a template by the Hotel Director). I do not need you assurances that my comments are being analyzed. The only thing I NEEDED was a quality stay, in a quality hotel, and to receive a quality service. I DID NOT GET ALL THIS. I will not visit your hotel again, the chance is gone. I am sure that I am not the first to complain about all that, and I am pretty sure that your response was always like apologies. I do not know if you understand, but for me as a client, apologies do not mean anything, it is just another blah-blah from a service provide who messed it up. And your hotel, being all marble and fancy, does not deserve to be called an Intercontinental. Because of lack of service and lack of quality. Stop apologizing and GO MAKE CHANGES IN YOUR HOTEL. IT IS THE TIME.

Super public bath
Banquet hall
Day-use onsen
Hot bedstone spa
Yokohama Manyo Club is a serene hot spring hotel that offers a perfect getaway for those seeking relaxation and rejuvenation. Situated in the charming city of Yokohama, it boasts open-air baths, a hinoki cypress bath, stone bath, and nano mist sauna. The rooftop ashiyu footbath garden provides an enchanting experience with panoramic views of the Minato Mirai skyline.
The rooms are a bit overpriced for the size and amenities compared to hotels in the area. The restaurant is overcrowded and understaffed and the selection is mediocre - not as good as the neighboring Intercontinental Grand, for instance. The rest area/arcade could use a lot more seating. However, when you combine each of these parts, with the location of this place, it's really quite difficult to find a better place to stay in Yokohama for the price range. The sheer convenience of being able to go from room to onsen to restaurant without leaving the building or even changing out of your pajamas cannot be matched. Meanwhile the place is right on the oceanside next door to a bunch of places you'd want to see in Yokohama. There's not much of a view from the onsen unfortunately. However the building features both an outdoor terrace lounge area and a rooftop lounge with foot bath and 360 degree views so you can get a spectacular view from there. On a clear day you can see much of Tokyo, it's really quite something. Highly recommended for couples. You can access pretty much all of the building without being an overnight guest - private rooms are available for a fee for a limited time, like a love hotel, and the lounge areas are accessible even with only an onsen pass. It's set up like a standard super sento - get your wristband at the entrance, change and put all your stuff in the locker, pay when you leave. You don't need to bring anything, all amenities are provided. One last thing: I have stayed at many ryokans and super sentos and other places where Western-style pajamas are provided, and this place had by far the most comfortable I have ever worn.

I've been here solo and with friends and the experience is always relaxing. If it's only a day trip, be sure to allot at least 4 hours to also include hanging out at the rooftop foot bath with a view! No room, no problem! Their relaxation rooms are spacious and there's even a women only area. The indoor/outdoor baths are good and offers a wide variety. I specially liked the rock bath. They also offer different types of massage. Food is also good and not that pricey.
Sarah B — Google review
Very busy place, but not overcrowded. Went on a weekend, so it seemed like the workers were very busy and receptionist was not very cheery (rare in Japan!), although her work was straight to the point and clear. There are collabs with them, where the goods are sold in the gift shop. There are four private family baths that can be reserved by the hour, but on peak hours it may be a bit hard to get it. Couples are allowed to use as well. Main baths are separated by sex. Rock sauna rooms are available, but it seems like some of the rooms cost extra. The rest space is popular, so it may be a bit hard to find a seat if not alone. There is a rest space specifically for snorers as well. The dining had a tuna cutting show depending on their schedule. Location of establishment is very ideal. Close to a mini amusement park, near World Porters (mall), and walking distance to many famous landmarks.

I’ve visited Manyo Club in Yokohama twice now and really enjoyed it both times. This visit I was able to explore more of the floors and try a wonderful massage (ask for #23—highly recommended!). The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, and the onsen offers a wide variety of baths, including relaxing open-air areas. It’s a peaceful, rejuvenating experience—I’m hoping to book a room next time!
Nathan — Google review
Not my first time using onsen facilities. This time, I tried a night's stay too and, regretted this decion. Oil massage was disappointing. Chinese masseuse was sniffling throughout the treatment, without wearing a mask. She also did not seem to have a system of managing the 100min massage, unlike therapists in other spas/countries. When I gave feedback to front desk, there was no apology. Fortunately, the onsen pools and bedrock rooms were fine. The guestrooms were small and the pillow smelled in spite of the clean linen covering it. Manyu is good only for onsen and not as accommodations. Nearby InterContinental and Bay Hotel are much much better.
Geraldine L — Google review
On 20/4, my boyfriend and I used the service here. we paid 9600 yen including ticket for 2 people and plus 3500 yen to use private bathroom. the result was terrible The bathroom was old and musty. The wallpaper was peeling off - the mirror was yellowed and the worst thing was that the bathtub probably hadn't been cleaned in a long time. There was a lot of dirt in the tub, after discovering that I told him I was tired and wanted to leave. Since that day was his first time experiencing a hot bath, I didn't want to spoil the fun so I kept quiet and didn't say anything. But I definitely won't be back.
Bích B — Google review
Stayed there for 4 nights as a tourist. The rooms themselves are quite small and don't have showers, the big sell is definitely the Onsens! They're some of the best you can get near Tokyo. The rest of the hotel and atmosphere is incredible, plus the breakfast + dinner were nice. A bit pricy if your not going to utilize the Onsens often, but they're the best after a long day of traveling.
Kevin T — Google review
I can’t speak for the lodging, but this was my go-to location for a nearby supa/onsen. It was a great place to visit on cold or rainy days to hang out with friends. I especially liked the salt scrub room and the outdoor terrace. The views of Yokohama Bay are spectacular. Keep in mind this facility is not tattoo friendly in the public bathing areas, however you can book a private room (best done a few days in advance) if are bringing someone who has them. If they are small, cover them with a bandage and you should be fine. The public bathing areas are very nice, clean and peaceful. I usually grab a tub of the salt scrub when I come to visit. It leaves your skin silky smooth, like nothing else!

The Yokohama Bay Hotel Tokyu is a luxurious hotel located in the Queens area of Minato Mirai. It stands out as the only hotel in the area offering rooms with balconies, providing guests with stunning views. The hotel boasts elegant rooms and suites, some featuring balconies, and offers top-notch amenities including four restaurants, a spa, and a gym.
Stayed here for a couple days on our 3 week Japan vacation. What I really enjoyed about this place is the accessibility. Came in on the train directly from the airport. The hotel is connected to a mall which has a station in it, super painless experience. Quick and friendly check in and clean rooms with a great view of the Ferris wheel. Did not try any food here as there are many options in walking distance. Would not hesitate to say here again as it was extremely easy to get here from the airport after a long flight and the experience was all positive.
Josh H — Google review
Very nice, beautiful hotel. The staff was very friendly and they held our bags after checkout for the day while we explored the city. The hotel does not have an open roof top or top floor restaurants available to regular guests. Not sure if this is normal for Japan? There was a very small gym with little to no equipment but had a nice looking pool. We liked the hotel very much but will likely try another hotel our next stay to find the perfect one for us. Added photos of the 1st floor artwork and the view from our room.
Adam C — Google review
One of the best hotels in the Yokohama area. The views from the balcony were stunning. All the restaurants are nearby, and there is a limousine bus from Narita Airport, so you don’t need to transfer to the N’EX or take the Metro. I would definitely stay here again.
Mk M — Google review
Amazing views over Yokohama bay we were on the 23rd floor. Rooms were lovely with balcony and window view bath and separate shower cubicle. All grooming products/equipment supplied. Plenty of restaurants to chose from Tosca buffet was good.
Ricardo G — Google review
As soon as you walk in you are greeted by friendly greeters guiding you to the reservation desk. The rooms were extremely clean and beds were comfortable. Unfortunately the air conditioning was not as strong as it could have been but the in room dehumidifier helped a lot in the 40 degree humid heat. On our way out the staff even helped us get a taxi to our next destination. Overall we would stay here again.
Hendley M — Google review
This is honestly one of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed at. Don’t trust the rating—it’s a disaster. They try to present it as a luxury hotel, but in reality the rooms are old, ugly, and badly maintained. The service is just as bad: the staff is clueless, usually five of them huddled behind the counter trying to figure out what you’re saying, only to send you away after 20 minutes with no help. Breakfast is another nightmare. They hand you tickets in the morning, then make you wait half an hour for what turned out to be the worst breakfast I’ve ever had in a hotel. Avoid at all costs.
Matthieu D — Google review
Great hotel. So roomy. It even had a balcony with chairs. There are food options so close as well as shopping. Close to the cup of noodles museum and a don quojite. The breakfast had lots of options and we found the staff so helpful and friendly!

InterContinental Yokohama Pier 8, an IHG Hotel is a luxurious harborfront hotel in Yokohama, offering refined rooms and suites. Opened in 2019, the hotel provides a serene and upscale retreat near the bustling harbor. Guests can enjoy stunning bay views from their rooms, which are equipped with separate seating areas, minibars, and flat-screen TVs. The hotel also features restaurants, bars, private parking, and a garden.
Spacious room, quiet and comfortable. Pretty design, convenient location for me. Staffs are great. Only had time to try breakfast in lounge, tastes good.
Lance L — Google review
Beautiful and still fairly new hotel. The toto toilet is nice and Simmons semi firm bed is comfortable. Rooms are spacious and stunning. Sliding doors open for fresh air, though sometimes an industrial seabreeze comes in. We were given a room with view but there are cruise ships, carrier and trucks outside. The rooms and hallways smell of industrial exhaust in the morning, which is a pity. Breakfast is a disappointment with small portions. Instead of this a la carte set menu order, they should really have an extensive buffet people are accustomed to. I prefer to choose what is on my plate, instead of having a set menu of things I am not quite fond of and yet felt obligated to eat and only one piece of vegetable I would like to eat more of. They have a salad, yogurt, fruit, pastries buffet set out but it wasn’t up to par with what I was expecting for a 5 star hotel. Please spend some money on quality fruit. What is this canned stuff, and no berries to offer? Everything is yellow and orange and bland. The pastry section was sad as well. I chose the Japanese set menu and would not order it again. The quality of the spread seemed poor and tamago egg was too sweet. I wanted tea however when I picked up the teapot- it was cheap acrylic. Hot tea in plastic will expose you to bisphenol A. Club lounge however is fantastic with tuna sashimi, smoked duck, the tender beef everyone was talking about. Another night had the hot set menu of scallop, slice of lamb with clam chowder and risotto. Divine. Decent offerings and extensive drink section. Edit: I got food poisoning and threw up everything I ate in the evening lounge! Be careful! I think it was the unrefrigerated tuna sashimi. Would be fantastic if they can install a purified water refill in the hotel for guests, instead of canned water. Taxi from Yokohama is 1800. Staff here are pleasant and friendly!

Phenomenal Service and Hotel overall. I travel quite a bit, and I don’t bother to write reviews. But this time I felt I had to. I’m a IHG diamond member and I booked a Deluxe King. Hotel personnel took our luggage at the door, guided us to the reception. We got upgraded to VIP suite. Luggage were sent strait to the room. Room is immaculate, bathroom is tech Asa y, shower has a glass wall open into room. I have been in Conrads, JW Marriots and still super impressed. For the Value you getting, especially if you have status, spend a few days here to get the Jet lag off before you hit the city.

This was my first time staying at a 5 star luxury hotel of this caliber and the experience did not disappoint. The staff was so attentive from checkin to checkout. Room was HUGE for Japan standards. It is easily double or triple the size of a 5 star room you would get in Tokyo. Bathroom was completely modern and aesthetically pleasing. Also, there is an awesome view of Yokohama harbor at night. I had a couple of Japanese friends come over to hangout in the room and they were all very impressed and taken aback by how luxurious the room was. It’s close to festivities, events and shopping at Aka-Renga soko. If given the chance, I would stay at InterContinental Yokohama Pier 8 again without any hesitation.
Fordel L — Google review
Amazing in all regards, blew my mind in every aspect of intercontinental. Even as an Intercontinental Ambassador, I did not expect this level at atmosphere and service. It was on par with world class luxury hotels and I can see how it earned a Michelin star in that regard. Definitely a must stay if youre in the area.
Henry W — Google review
I stayed at the Intercontinental Pier 3/12 - 3/18. The hotel is phenomenal. When we arrived the staff was so very helpful, considering the language barrier. Our room was outstanding! Everyday as we returned it was so neatly put back together. Don't know who cleaned our room this particular day, but even the toiletries were placed in descending order and our slippers were waiting for us. I must say a special review of the staff outside. One staff member stood out in particular. Matsumosho. She was so awesome! Very helpful and accommodating. I really liked her professional demeanor. I was there to watch my son play for the Yokohoma Excellence and having a comfortable room to return to in the evening was EVERYYTHING! And the location was OUTSTANDING. When I return to Japan, I will DEFINITELY stay at your fine hotel.

Stayed in the King Classic Minatomirai View room. I was extremely pleased with how spacious the room was, the great view and modern furniture. Obviously a lot of attention to detail was put in when designing it. The room also came with a minibar with free soft drinks which were refilled daily which was really nice. The room also had an integrated AC which was much quieter than a traditional AC while it was still able to cool the whole room without it getting too windy. Amenities wise, the hotel was a bit lacking, there is no swimming pool or onsen and the gym only had equipment like treadmills to work out your legs (which I really didn't need after a full day of sight seeing), would be nice if they at least had free weights. The food was ok, the buffet was a bit small and didn't change over the course of the stay (7 days), there was a menu to choose from but you could only get one thing and the portion was small. Would be nice if they split the menu so that you could at least pick one main and sides separately. The staff were very good. We had a small issue with booking a massage, however this got sorted and the staff were very apologetic through the process. Overall, I would say that the hotel is great for someone who wants a really nice room with a decent breakfast but doesn't mind the lack of amenities like a pool or onsen. Personally the lack of amenities wasn't an issue as I was out most of the day so for me the most important thing is a good room.

Hotel
The Westin Yokohama is a luxurious 5-star hotel located in Yokohama City Centre, offering elegant and modern accommodations. The contemporary and stylish rooms feature comfortable beds and automated curtains, while the sophisticated club lounge provides a great atmosphere and stunning views from the highest floor. Despite not being in the heart of Tokyo, the hotel offers easy access to the city with a 20 to 40-minute train ride.
The Westin Yokohama is a standout! elegant design, spacious rooms (with even pajamas provided!), and an Executive Lounge with unforgettable Mt. Fuji views. Yes, the pool has a fee, but when rates are often half of Tokyo’s luxury hotels, the value is unbeatable. The staff are exceptionally polite and caring, and it’s unfair when some reviews nitpick small details or expect everything free. The effort here is clear, and the quality speaks for itself. Only 40 minutes from Tokyo, this hotel is a little secret retreat that deserves far more recognition. Truly one of the best Westins in the world.

The Westin truly redefines luxury with its perfect blend of elegance, comfort, and world-class service. From the moment you step into the lobby, the atmosphere exudes sophistication with its contemporary design, soothing ambiance, and impeccable attention to detail. The rooms are spacious, beautifully appointed, and thoughtfully designed for both relaxation and productivity. The signature Heavenly Bed lives up to its name, ensuring unmatched comfort and restful sleep. Large windows allow natural light to pour in, offering serene views that elevate the entire experience. Dining at the Westin is a treat in itself—every meal is curated with exceptional flavors, fresh ingredients, and flawless presentation. The hotel also excels in wellness, with its modern fitness studio, rejuvenating spa, and refreshing pool that make it easy to balance indulgence with well-being. What sets the Westin apart, however, is the warmth and professionalism of its staff. Every interaction feels personalized, making guests feel truly valued and cared for. Whether for business or leisure, the Westin is the epitome of luxury and comfort—an oasis where every detail is designed to delight. Highly recommended for anyone seeking an elevated, unforgettable stay.

The moment I stepped in, my first impression lasted all the way until check-out — a beautifully designed hotel with elegant decor, but the service didn’t quite live up to the setting. There was no acknowledgment from staff at the entrance, concierge, reception, club lounge, pool reception, or restaurant. Everyone seemed busy, and interactions often felt procedural, with staff focusing on rules and policies rather than being engaging, flexible, or empowered. Check-in and check-out were also on the lengthy side, which added to the sense of formality over warmth. Perhaps I was expecting too much for a business hotel, but overall it’s still a pleasant place to stay. The food quality was generally above many competitors, which was a highlight.

Brand new hotel from the Westin hotels. The attention to details is impeccable. From the outside cascading fountains, to the modern art art the grand entrance, to the reception area on the 23rd floor. Amazing views of Tokyo, a bar, gardens, and the main reception. When i entered my room i was amazed by the modern design, fusion with Japanese art. The blinds opening up automatically as i enter, the cascade of water in the wet room, m smell of new, modern Japan. It did not end there. The concierge girls made me feel at home. Thank you. As short business stay, i didn't try the Spa, Gym & pool. But they did impress me. Recommended.

Absolutely amazing hotel with amazing staff. The room we got was easily one of the best rooms we have ever had, with a full amazing view of the city. The breakfast every day was exceptional with a wide array of offerings. The location was also excellent with an easy walk to a number of attractions. Finally the staff were also amazing. Shinya in particular was an amazing host.

We had the pleasure of spending the night at The Westin Yokohama last week and I have to say that this is the most beautiful and luxurious hotel we have ever stayed in. Perfection was in every detail with super-comfortable beds, a well-appointed bathroom and anything a guest could possibly need supplied. We have never been in such a quiet room. The staff was so kind and welcoming and we feel fortunate to have chosen this hotel on our recent visit to Japan.

I have never experienced a clean parking lot, meticulous staff, responsive receptionists, banquet hosts ,housekeeping , parking management and welcoming staff all in one place- This Westin outdoes all places I have been to so far in maintaining consistent cleanliness, hospitality and a welcoming atmosphere. Easy to interact and highly responsive staff. This is true hospitality and respect👏🏼👏🏼

Our room was spacious and very clean. The hotel had multiple dining venues and bars. They also had an extremely generous Concierge level for both breakfast, afternoon and evening dining opportunities. Very conveniently located.

Beautiful hotel! Staff and service were amazing! My room was perfect, and the indoor pool and outdoor jacuzzi were just amazing! My first time to Yokohama, and I really lucked out by choosing this hotel! Highly recommended!!

I was excited to stay until I find out that not only tattoos not allowed, but they will make you feel like a criminal if you have them. It’s 2025, and a resort that claims to be 5 stars needs to get with the times. There are so many better spots to stay with better rules.
Colby N — Google review
This is a beautiful hotel and the service was outstanding 99.99 percent of the time. If you book via amex, the included breakfast was amazing. However, we did not receive the room upgrade as usual with Amex fine resort booking at this hotel. This was actually the first time I didn't get an room upgrade as usual. The only person we had some issues with was the gentleman at the first floor door man who would not help us to hail a taxi. I thought that was really strange.

An absolutely beautiful hotel. Up there with other luxury 5 star hotels. From a value standpoint this deserves 6 stars. The service was fantastic the staff were professonal and always available to help. They have one of the best breakfasts in Yokohama hands down, with private dining rooms. This is truely a gem of a hotel and anyone coming to Yokohama should stay to experience it. I look forward to my next stay, thank you for the incredible service!

10/10 service I know it should be 5 but this is way more than a 5 star hotel! Food and service was great, English was spoken very well and everyone seemed to be included as a community. Don’t get me started on the rooms. Would recommend to anyone and everyone WOW!

Ok so I’ve loved staying at Kahala Yokohama but the ownership group resort trust Japan is an absolute joke and I hope all non Japanese people realize that. My wife’s family are from Japan and we visit them every year and they’re XIV members which is owned by the same company as Kahala. I have a tattoo which is literally two inches long on my arm. Since I was walking around XIV Hammamatsu without hiding my tattoo, my wife’s parents were contacted and rudely told I am not welcome at any XIV hotel and if they bring me to any XIV property they will lose their membership. There’s one thing asking politely to hide my tattoo and I understand that. I stayed at the Halekulani in Okinawa and Crown Prince Sakura this summer which are both Japanese hotels and was very politely asked to cover my tattoo and I obliged. The manner in which resort trust handled this is ridiculous. They made me and my wife’s family feel like we’re criminals for having a small tattoo. It’s unfortunate since we’ve enjoyed our stay at Kahala Yokohama and I’m sure since this Kahala is in Hawaii they follow American culture but this ownership group resort trust is ridiculous and needs to have more empathy for other cultures

This hotel offers an excellent price quality balance for the 5 star range. As we are members of the Leading Hotels of the World we received an upgrade to a corner room with an excellent view to the bay area. Unfortunately they charge you to visit the swimming pool & spa amenities, which for me - as a frequent traveller - is unseen of for a 5 star hotel. I told this to the concierge services who shared my views. Staff is very nice, but not everybody expresses themselves well in English.

There are many reasons why this hotel deserves such high ratings. From the moment you walk in the level and commitment of service, greeting and smiles exceed expectations. Every person no matter what position or job title was consistent throughout. The rooms were always cleaned immaculately. Their breakfast buffet satisfied everyone in our party (there were 10 of us!). If we can give this hotel 10 stars we would. Thank you for making my dad's 70th birthday a memorable experience for our families 💖 And extra love for the concierge in helping us book the Marine Rouge dinner! THANK YOU!!!

Nestled in the vibrant Minato Mirai area, the APA Hotel & Resort Yokohama Bay Tower stands tall with its impressive 35 floors. This high-rise hotel is an ideal base for exploring nearby attractions like the iconic Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse and bustling Chinatown. Guests can enjoy casual yet modern rooms that offer stunning views of either Minato Mirai or the Bay Bridge, making every stay a visual delight.
Great stay at APA Yokohama Bay! We had a really pleasant stay here while attending a wedding at Anniversaire—just a quick 5-minute walk away, which made everything super convenient. The hotel is centrally located near tons of shopping, restaurants, and the waterfront, making it easy to explore the area. Due to the two-person-per-room policy, we booked two rooms. They were small but very clean and well-equipped. The hotel is packed with amenities: multiple restaurants, fast checkout, luggage storage and shipping services, and even a luggage scale. The bathing area on the 4th floor was impressive but extremely popular in the evenings—every hairdryer and locker was in use, and the onsen and changing rooms were packed. Honestly, it just shows how nice the facilities are. There are also two FamilyMarts on the same floor (yes, two!), both busy, plus massage chairs and a small kids’ play area. Overall, no complaints—just a great, comfortable, and well-located hotel. Would definitely stay again!
Mika M — Google review
It was amazing here! The food was great and the family-marts on the 4th floor was an amazing idea! The view was amazing looking down on the wheel and on the nearby shopping centre. The rooms where slightly small but survivable. The location was nice, close to the river and near to most of Yokohama's landmarks such as landmark tower. All in all it was really nice here and I would come back here.
Louis W — Google review
We love the APA Hotel in Yokohama. The location is wonderful, near Cosmo World, World Porters and Bashamichi Station. The rooms are small but very comfortable with plenty of amenities including A/C, Air Purifier, Kettle, Robes, Slippers, Toothbrush, and more. The hotel's onsen is amazing with an open-air bath, jetted, and minerals in different temperatures. Tip for newcomers - take a cold shower before getting into the bath so it isn't too hot for you. The two Family Marts have a great selection of quality food and drink items. They also have a pool, massage chairs, coin laundry, luggage storage and amazing views of the bay or Minato Mirai's Feris Wheel. I do recommend bringing a cheap foam mattress topper if you don't like firm mattresses. It made the stay perfect for me and I had room for souvenirs when I left it behind.

My #1 booked hotel. I stay here 10 times a year on average and it never disappoints me. They have great food options, the rooms are always clean and everything always works. Best location for my interests without the congestion on Tokyo. Great events held.often at the red brick wherehouse just down the street. My only complaint about APA in general is they do not have an APA membership card for foreigners, otherwise I would probably be awarded free room stays from time to time for as often as I stay here.
Youngpro56 — Google review
The hotel service was good and the room was nice. The hotel had several restaurants, and I was able to eat in three of them. The staff was helpful when needed. The location was the most convenient. Most of the attractions I wanted to see were within walking distance. It was also a 10-15 minute walk from many different subway lines.
Sheldon J — Google review
Be warned that this entire place is absolute chaos most of the time. There are so many people coming and going, and lots of people always standing in the way. It also takes a long time to get an elevator. None of that is the hotel’s fault - just be prepared. My only complaint is that it is far too easy to hear everything going on in all the rooms around and above you. The vegan bakery on the ground floor is incredible.
Lisa D — Google review
Cleaners were very disprespectful towards late sleepers. They were shouting all the time across the hallway and waking us up constantly. It made our stay insufferable at this hotel. The bathroom was way too small. And the room was full with way too much dust. My roommate got asthma from it. Also beware of false advertisement, the airconditioning in the room is centrally set. It was either too cold or too hot in the room.
Fatih — Google review
I found that there are a lot of non-Japanese complaints about the lack of washing machines. Indeed a problem. It has been officially listed as the top priority improvement project by APA. Seriousness is seen. The formation of this problem may be related to culture, as I know. Japanese houses often have their own washing machines, and rarely use public washing machines. This why it’s not a big issue for hotel. But interestingly a considerable number of foreign families don't even have washing machines, they even depend on public exclusively! so we are surprised that Japanese houses must have 「洗濯機置き場」when we first moved to Japan studying. This is something that foreigners have never seen. In Taiwan's self-service laundry have developed into coffee bars. Others countries I worked are various by region, but they all have share washing machines culture with different approaches, interesting. Like, in my working country, the home delivery washer business is very developed. That's why many people don't have washing machines outside Japan. Foreigners do not reject sharing with strangers (just like in the movie! Public laundry everyday, haha) It's really an interesting cultural difference, but it makes tourists visiting Japan very distressed. After years of remote work, I do realize this business any lifestyle, although it is very popular around the world, but not applied in Japan. This is a serious bottleneck. Unnecessary facilities should be removed and a large number of washing machines should be placed. In a word, judging from the number of foreigners in this hotel, even if this laundry room is 500 yen at a time, it will keep running every single minute.

Yokohama Royal Park Hotel is a luxurious accommodation located in the Landmark Tower, offering stunning views of Yokohama Bay and the city. The hotel features elegant and spacious rooms, along with top-notch dining options including six eateries serving a variety of cuisines. Guests can also enjoy amenities such as an indoor pool and a tea room.
Fantastic views from the room (and the bath tub) if you upgrade to the large corner room with the bay view ( highly advised to get the upgrade, otherwise pick another hotel nearby if you want to skimp on cost). I took a bus from Haneda Airport with a stop directly in front of this hotel (very reasonable, about an hour ride). Great location, walking distance to every major attraction and easy to take the metro to Chinatown ( well worth the visit). Pamper yourself, just do it, Yokohama is a great place to visit.

It's a great hotel. The view from the room is very good. It's full of vacation atmosphere, which makes people feel good. The location is also great. The bed is super comfortable to sleep on and the soundproofing is super good. I want to stay here again no matter what. Late, the only drawback is that the hotel's breakfast is relatively ordinary

Service 10/10 -we use room sevice Because we have toddler the staff is very professional and kind. -All the Staff are polite from front desk to concierge and doorman/bellman Hotel Room 8/10 - Room Is clean But need to use more vacuum for the dust, and the bathtub need to be wipe , the black dirt stain is from previous use and its so visible. But amenities are complete (Toiletries, Serum sachet, coffee & teas) Food 7/10 The food is delicious but I’ve been to many places and I’m not that satisfied ,and the broccoli too salty. Ambiance. 10/10 It’s perfect for romantic or want to see the whole City of Yokohama. Night time is best time to relax while looking the night city light .

We love this place and stay here regularly. Great room, great view, great staff and food. All at a decent price, especially for this area.
Jon M — Google review
Amazing view of the city, the room’s window curtains automatically open when you enter giving it a big wow factor. The bed was really comfortable and the room was spacious, location was conveniently close to various shopping malls and sakuragicho train station. However, for the price paid to stay at a luxury hotel, I would have expected the rooms to be kept in better condition, and for the service staff to look more approachable. There were stains on the carpet and bed skirt, multiple cabinets and headboard were scratched and chipped, and one cabinet door was completely broken at the hinge.
Huishan L — Google review
I had a room on one of the Sky Resort Floor Atelier Deluxe and had amazing views overlooking part of the harbor and into Tokyo. Thus I had amazing evening views that included being able to Tokyo Tower 🗼. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is great too especially if you're there for the meeting or convention as you can walk by walking through the shopping center and the walkway (sadly the walkway doesn't have cover most of the way so there is a chance to get rained on) The hotel is accessible via the shopping center which is lots and lots of options for food.
Alexander P — Google review
Walking into the room stuns and gorgeous views as the curtains roll up. The room is spacious, the long table beside the windows just gave the perfect spot to have a nice morning breakfast enjoying the view. A couple of minor things that bugs me is that their curtain design isn't full black out, so I can see light shine through early in the morning. Second is their evaluation going too fast that my ears block every time I go up or down. Lastly, there's not a good way to get to the hotel from the airport at night beside the taxi. Other than that, the location is great, close to everywhere I need on a vacation. I really enjoyed the time there and would go again.
Kenny L — Google review
Very nice hotel. The hotel itself feels like a 5 star hotel, the rooms feel a bit outdated. The view from the 63rd floor was spectacular. I feel like if this was priced as a modern 5 star hotel this review would be different, but at the current pricing this hotel is a pretty spectacular value. The only actual issue was the shower was not nearly as clean as I would expect. Actually I genuinely think the bathrooms just need a full renovation. Otherwise it was one of my favorite accommodations in my 2 months in Japan.

The Sky Spa was great especially the Aufguss!! I tried in the man sauna and the Sauna Theater and it was a great experience. The views from men side are to Yokohama Bay, and there are 4 pools, 2 saunas. The resting area has tvs. It is worth the price and you can get 5 hours package

I thought the price wasn't bad compared to what I was getting. Besides the typical onsen experience, They have a hourly Finnish style sauna either in the gendered sauna or the unisex area. I thought this was very cool because they made a little show out of it in the unisex one and you'll be sweating, trust me. Overall I had a very pleasant stay here.

Can’t comment on the rooms as I only came for the day spa before catching my night flight out of Haneda. The location is great - you don’t have to step out on the road as it is connected underground from the Yokohama station. My daughter and I spent 3 hours there and had a good rest, soak, a tasty meal before heading to Haneda. The soya milk noodles were delicious. The Chicken tasted like it was grilled over charcoals. It was clean and spacious. The staff were friendly. Two smaller towels and a big bath towel were provided. You pay with the bar code issued with your key at the end. About 2,200 Yen per pax for onsen. Value for money

Hotel New Grand is a luxurious 1920s establishment located in the vibrant Chinatown district of Yokohama. The hotel offers elegantly designed rooms and suites, along with a spa, four restaurants, and two bars for guests to enjoy. Situated near Yamashita Park overlooking Tokyo Bay, it provides high-end accommodation options for travelers seeking luxury experiences. One of its highlights is the signature dessert, pudding a la mode, which combines European-inspired sweets with Japanese culinary artistry.
We stayed here for 3 nights on a family vacation. All we can say that the staff were so wonderful and attentive from the entrance to the front desk to the restaurants. The room is very clean with a beautiful bay view of the pier. You also don’t want to miss tea time at the restaurant on the first floor. The hotel is within 5 minutes walk to the train station. Highly recommended!

I've been here in March of 2023, and now again in juli of 2025. This is such a great hotel! The view is amazing and the surrounding scenery is beautiful. But most importantly: the people here are kind and courteous and amazing in their profession. For example, we wanted to see the Tokyo flood protection project, the Ryukyukan, but making reservations proved a challenge. However, the concierge swiftly and with great ease made reservations for us and so helped us secure a spot on the tour. These are the kinds of services that are becoming rare in the hotel industry, but New Grand still has these amazing people who just get things done and help make your stay in Japan a very memorable one. Simply said, this is an amazing hotel. Easy 5/5 stars, definitely recommend staying here!

During our 10-day trip to Japan, we had the chance to stay at the New Grand Hotel in Yokohama. It was a wonderful experience — a place where we enjoyed delicious food at its restaurants and were warmly welcomed by kind and attentive staff. This elegant and stylish hotel, rich in history, helped us create unforgettable memories. Every detail was graceful, and the view was simply breathtaking. If I could rate it 7 stars, I definitely would!

Went with my daughter for a little getaway. Overall, it was a good for our needs. It did start off wrong though and that feeling has stayed. One of the first thing the staff says is passport please. But i live in Japan and have for many years. My daughter is Japanese. So I really don’t appreciate the stereotypes and assumption, but it’s common. I wish the staff could have went about the situation more politely, don’t just assume. The hotel room itself was spacious, seemed a little dated but was nice. Our room view was kinda nothing special but that was expected.
Uniture — Google review
A luxurious hotel located very close to Chinatown. The hotel has an antique design but with modern amenities. The hotel staff is very helpful and goes above and beyond for the hotel visitor. The room is very spacious and clean with all the facilities required for a perfect stay. There is also a private parking lot adjacent to the hotel for 1500 yen. In conclusion, the hotel is highly recommended.
Maayan S — Google review
The location of this hotel is excellent. There is a very nice walking area along the water. The hotel itself is looking a little tired, but that should come as not surprise considering its age. The room coffee maker is decent. The coffee is better than average. Our view was excellent and Chinatown is literally around the corner. Overall, the staff were decent, but not spectacular, as some of our other Japanese hotels have been. The TV is tiny compared to modern hotels, but how much time would you spend watching TV in your room? Breakfast is not included.
Warren H — Google review
The hotel takes up its own block but the entrance facing away from the sea is boarded. The closed entrance has a beautiful grand staircase that is disused as there isn't a reason for anyone to use it. The working entrance faces a large public park that spans to the end of the boulevard and is quite pretty. The hotel is clean and well kept but old with a musty moldy smell throughout the building. They use mechanical keys which is outdated but also quaint. They advertise bedrooms with 3 beds. The beds are a nice standard size but they will provide a maximum of 2 keys which is annoying when they advertised that the room is for 3 people. However, they did provide 3 of everything in the room and gave away some free amenities like hair brushes, tooth brushes and disposable fuzzy slippers. The staff are very polite but the concierge is a little curt. Not enough to be outright rude but there were a few occasions when they spoke to each other in Japanese saying comments that they wouldn't have said if they knew we could understand them.

Most convenient hotel. Right next to train station. Service is outstanding. Rooms are a good size but don’t have much storage if you have a lot of clothes.

The hotel is really nice. The reception staff were all very friendly and helpful up not on arrival. They were able to store our luggage while we waited for our room to be ready. The club lounge has really good food for breakfast and dinner, and a variety of drinks was nice. The housekeeping staff is efficient and did a really great job on our room. It is really close to Yokohama Station, with direct access to the malls and station from the B1 Floor. Food and all types shopping is close by as well.

This is one of the best hotels that I have ever stayed. Big room. Very well maintained and clean. Walking distance from Yokohama station (underground shopping streets) and connected with department stores, restaurants, and markets. The breakfast is the best of the best. The club lounge is comfortable and offers good food.

Great central location by Yokohama station and huge Joinus mall underground. The room was spacious by Japanese standards and bed was super comfy and soft. Bathroom has full sized tub, separate shower and tons of counter space. AC worked well and didn’t blow directly on you. Most of the restaurants were expensive and I wouldn’t recommend the SeaWind. Disappointed the pool and gym cost extra so didn’t use those services. Would definitely stay here again.

Had a wonderful stay at Yokohama Bay Sheraton. The staff are attentive to the requests even before arriving via bonvoy chat. We requested a crib that prepared in advance. Letting them know that we are celebrating a birthday, they upgraded our room to much bigger one at check-in saying they want us to enjoy this special day! Checkout time was extended till 15h. We found a happy birthday message and small bouquet on the bed which really appreciated! As a platinum member, we used the lounge on the 26 floor. Kids are allowed till 20h but you need to book your slot after 17h I guess to avoid crowds. Breakfast at the lounge was nice especially with the egg station but be careful the the last order is at 9h30. At checkout the gave us the parking ticket as a gift so we did not pay the parking fee for the stay. On the down side, the fitness and the pool belong to some other company but sheraton guests can use them. Only 13y old and above are accepted. Would be great to accept kids at the pool at least. In general a nice place to stay at and relax!

The Yokohama Bay Sheraton Hotel & Towers is an outstanding choice that excels in convenience and luxury. Its unbeatable location provides a direct, covered connection to Yokohama Station, placing guests immediately adjacent to major shopping hubs (like Takashimaya and Sogo) and a huge variety of restaurants. A significant highlight of the hotel is the generous room size, which offers more space and comfort than typical Japanese city hotels. For executive guests, the Club Lounge on a high floor provides views of Yokohama and also Tokyo on a clear day. It also provided attentive service, complimentary breakfast, and a generous evening cocktail hour. Verdict: This blend of premium connectivity, superior comfort, and executive benefits makes it a top-tier hotel for any visit to Yokohama.

Absolutely terrible service from the front desk. When we checked-in the front desk staff snickered and asked my Japanese wife if I am her business partner and if we need twin bed? (clearly mentioned as couple booking with double bed request) So a foreigner cannot be a spouse of Japanese woman? No professionalism or manners at all from the staff of a global hotel chain like Marriot. I hope they look into this type of attitude from staff and not despise guests.
D P — Google review
Great location, service, and spacious rooms for Tokyo! Meals are a little pricy but you get what you pay for! Be aware the pool costs to use, not included in the price of the room. They have a great system where for each day you deny cleaning services they provide a 500 yen coupon voucher towards breakfast! Which is a very well rounded buffet of Japanese, American, and pastries. Room service is ordered via the phone and the plates are of a good size, there are 4 dining/drinking options onsite with extensive Japanese foods, Chinese and Tepenyyaki as the meal types.

Spa Eas is conveniently located just a 5-minute walk from Yokohama station, making it easily accessible for visitors. The spa offers a variety of amenities including springs that flow from underground, three different bedrock baths, relaxation spaces, and traditional spa treatments and body care services. Guests can also enjoy OFURO (public bath) with warm and cold water baths, an open-air bath, jet baths similar to Jacuzzis, saunas, and bedrock baths.
Amazing Spa and Bath House! The outfits you can choose from are super cute, the aromatherapy experience was amazing, huge selection of add-on massage and acupuncture treatments, and the relaxing areas are very nice. Very little English instructions (we were the only non-Japanese visitors), but the staff was very helpful at translating when we needed.

Some nice rock saunas, very couple friendly. I went early on a Sunday. It did not start to get crowded until after 3pm. I took a lunch break around 2pm and found the food uninspiring (bland) and a bottle overpriced. Craft beer was better than average, but expensive at over 1000 yen a pint. I would go back for the sauna and rotemburo, but would avoid eating there.

It’s a super Onsen near Yokohama station; so there is lots to do. Beautiful relaxing baths, the outdoor area has a wood bir lets the fresh air in. There are places to relax, sleep, read and work. They have hammocks and great food. An awesome day out.

Good, very good atmosphere, calm and comfortable space, it might relate to price setting. Number of bath is .... And about bath any gradient seem to be hard, better to refrain from taking bath for long time depending on your body tolerance. Some people who sneeze continuously are often seen at bath and locker room. Keeping better water quality is expected. Other items can be satisfied well. Available to refresh your body and soul, good place for releasing your stress. Not only löyly but other service event or facility reinforcement are expected so that more or hard repeater can be seized, because bath performance is not high when compairing with other famous Japanese Super Sento. Recently number of customer is increased by campaign like coupon, it is crowed depending on day and time. Restaurant is only two and one quick cafe with light meals. taste facility atmosphere 5 service 5 classification Luxury-High End others -(minus)

I am a very kind gentle person and was kicked out for a small hand tattoo. This is 2024. It is childish at best to generalize your opinion on someone based off an old stereotype. My tattoos are religious and beautiful. I have nothing but love and kindness in my heart but this blatantly hurt my feelings and honestly felt a bit racist. If this spa is to grow up and be more a part of the 21st century then it will have to let go of old rules and ways of being. The tattoo rule is not culture. It is not for safety or peace. It is discrimination against things people aren’t used to. It’s fear absolutely childish fear. Learn to think for yourself. DO NOT GO HERE TILL THEY CHANGE!!!

I booked a massage online but when I arrived I was turned away because of the tattoo. There was nothing on the website, the booking process, or the confirmation email that told me about this restriction before showing up. While I understand it is culturally and legally allowed to discriminate against people in this way, I do think it morally and ethically wrong to do so.

Best place ever. So relaxing, so many ways to slow down - saunas, onsen, stretching, food/drink, recliners. That's not counting additional paid services for scrubs, massages, etc. Glorious way to spend an afternoon and indulge in self-care for such a reasonable price (¥2500-3000). Bliss!

RAKU SPA Tsurumi boasts a spacious hall with 14 types of baths and saunas, along with 6 bedrock baths. Guests can also enjoy a BAR serving a variety of global beers and homemade thin udon. The spa offers shuttle bus services from JR Tsurumi Station East Exit or JR Kawasaki Station West Exit, as well as being just a 5-minute taxi ride from JR Shitte station.
I love to spa when traveling to Japan. This time I explored another one near HND airport. I was tired after the flight so I didn’t do much of spa until next morning. I discovered there was electric bath and free water from water fountain. Wish I saw these earlier when I arrived. The facility is much bigger than another one I visited 6 months ago, more places that I could find a place to sleep in without extra cost. But their chairs are not as comfortable as the other spa I went before. However I will come back to visit again for its electric current spa for sure plus it has free shuttle bus to take you there from three stations.

Raku Spa was amazing. It was my first time visiting on Tuesday February 25th. It was a working day in the middle of the week so it wasn’t very crowded. The food was delicious. The rock sauna was clean and felt really good. My favorite was the planetarium rock sauna. Also the hot baths were really comfortable and relaxing. The showering areas were really clean, and I particularly liked the co-working space. For the price, and the experience, this is a great cospa super sento. It is super convenient being so close to Tokyo. Lastly, the signs are multilingual in Japanese, English, Mandarin, and Korean. This was a game changer as I had a chance to read more about the benefits of each area. If you’re in the area I recommend a visit!

Great place to spend few hours in a very pleasant traditional Japanese spa. Lovely place, clean and friendly. The only thing to improve is language, English service on check in, all the other is clear . No photos inside for privacy reasons 🙌

Amazing spa. After many days of nonstop walking and siteseeing this spa was a welcomed treat. I went with a friend who lives in Tsurumi ward. We enjoyed the onsen, the different saunas, the food with a view of the river and also our facials and massages. Keiko Sugawara was my massage therapist. My Japanese is not the best now especially since I no longer live here but we were able to communicate okay. She literally worked out every knot in my traps and relieved some knee pain I was experiencing. Great job!!! I definitely recommend going if you're in the area.

I recommend this spa to anime lovers since they collab often with anime like Kimetsu no Yaiba, Attack on Titan, and many more.. The banners and signs have english translation which is helpful for foreigners like me... The food and drinks is quite good.. they also offer some sauna for free but the massage costs around 2000yen or more... They also have a free shuttle bus from Tsurumi Station to the spa itself roundtrip. I'm so gonna return here..

The Hyatt Regency Yokohama is a stylish 5-star hotel located near Nihon-Odori Station, offering polished rooms and suites. Its proximity to iconic landmarks such as Chinatown, Yokohama Marine Tower, and the Red Brick Warehouse makes it an ideal base for exploring the area. The hotel exudes elegance with its chandelier-adorned bar and chapel adorned with Swarovski crystals.
I booked a 2 Twin Beds room with Club Access for my family of 4, including 2 kids. This hotel is great in the sense that such room can accommodate 2 kids for free, while most other higher-end hotels in Tokyo metro from global chains don't. Lounge access is also extended to my kids for free, which again, not every hotel do. These two alone, I'm already very grateful. The room was very big, not just by Tokyo standard but really. The bathroom in particular was really big, and stocked with high-end amenities. The upkeep of the room was great, it was sparkling shiny! Kids loved them very much! Service from the staff was very proactive and polished. The food selection in the lounge was great, both in the evening cocktail hour (kids under 12 not allowed) and the breakfast (kids included). I particularly liked the selection of tea, with real serious tea leaves and not tea bags. The jasmine tea was outstanding, you don't get that from most other hotels! All in all it was a perfect stay for us. I can't wait to visit it again!

Hyatt Regency Yokohama never disappoints. The rooms are absolutely pristine — clean, modern, and very comfortable. The staff are incredibly helpful and professional, always making us feel welcome and well taken care of. The location is fantastic, just steps away from Chinatown and the train station, which makes getting around Yokohama and even into Tokyo super convenient. One standout moment was ordering room service — I got a burger and it was sublime. Easily one of the best I’ve had at any hotel. This has become our go-to hotel whenever my family visits the Tokyo area. Consistently excellent service, great location, and top-notch comfort make it a clear favorite.

This was a great hotel. Super clean and well organized. I opted for the club access. It's worth every penny. Breakfast was from 8-10 and then cocktail hour from 5-7 PM. That was well worth the money. The room service was amazing. The cleaning was done wonderfully. It was prime location as well, super close to everything. Everyone was very helpful as well. Highly recommend this hotel.

Laundry Service costs $150 AUD to get a bag of clothes washed - I only found out to know this price once the clothes were washed. No staff informed me that this was the rate. Very poor communication and service on this.. No budging from the manager on get any discount for his owns staffs lack of communication. Not a great vibe around the hotel lobby, dark and quiet. In general the rooms are nice, and the room service girls are very good at their job!! One English guy at reception is very helpful.

Really enjoyed my stay here, I highly recommend it. Great location since it’s close to Chinatown and other popular spots. The staff is super friendly and attentive. Rooms are spacious and clean. Lots of items can be lent to customers like air purifiers, humidifier and hair iron when requested. We qualified to get access to the lounge, breakfast and late check out. Breakfast is much appreciated-it offers lots of options, both western and asian dishes.

This hotel is literally perfect in every way, shape and form. The bus from Haneda airport stops literally 2 blocks away from here. The train station is up the street, Chinatown is down the street, Lawson is right across the street and you are right by the water for beautiful views. Every single worker in this hotel was top tier, my first encounter was Kai who was so helpful and got me and my girls to go check out Chinatown that night, he gave us maps and told us of a few hot spots. I got the 3 full beds in the room and believe it or not it wasn't cramped. Please attend the bar and have tea time, the ambience they set at night is so relaxing. I have recommended so many to stay here when they visit. I appreciate each everyone who made our stay the best.

Rembrandt Style Yokohama Kannai is a budget-friendly business hotel located just five minutes from the south exit of Kannai Station. The hotel offers simple, unpretentious rooms with free Wi-Fi and a casual restaurant on-site. Guests appreciate the convenient location near restaurants and convenience stores. While some mention small room sizes, many find them clean and modern, with efficient air conditioning. Friendly staff members contribute to a pleasant stay, although noise from neighboring rooms can be an issue for some guests.
Really great budget hotel with helpful staff, good beds and very convenient. It's very compact but has a lot. Actually this was perfect for what I needed
Simon V — Google review
The rooms are clean and well lit but a bit small for a family of 5 with 3 small children. The beds are big and high and not quite ideal if you have kids ages 3 and below. The buffet breakfast is served by Jonathan’s and is good enough for the whole family with several selection offered. The location is not too tourist-friendly and even the taxi driver stopped us in front of the building by the main road, which is opposite where the hotel is located, so we ended up going around and around looking for the hotel. The name of the hotel was also confused with another similar named hotel in the city. We first went there and was told it was the wrong one. We really had a trouble finding this hotel.
The T — Google review
For a couple staying in the double room, it was quite cramped. There's no hanging space for towels. In fact, the only hanging space for anything are the 4 coat hangers directly opposite the bathroom door, which means if you have 2 winter coats and 2 towels hanging there, you have exhausted all the hanging space while simultaneously making the corridor even more narrow than before. We ended up using the armchair in the corner for draping clothes instead of for sitting. The unit bathroom is too small for a 165cm tall person, let alone a 190cm tall person. The aircon/heating unit doesn't work well at all (maybe because of all the accumulated dust in it). Despite the thermostat being set to 24°C, the thermometer integrated into the room clock said 18°, and that was after the unit had been on for an hour. After switching it off and on again, it works. At least it's clean, and close to the station. The staff are very friendly.

Stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks for my quarantine upon entering Japan. Rooms are small but decent and clean. The staff are very friendly and nice. The only downside was that you can hear the other rooms very clearly and the cleaning starts at 9 am so I had to wake up everyday with the vacuum sound from the hallway. Was content with my stay overall, would stay again.

This my go-to hotel when I am in the area. The facility is well maintained, staff are professional and speak multiple languages, rooms are comfortable, beds a clouds. The buffet breakfast have a great selection for all tastes and make starting the day enjoyable.

I was looking for a cheap place to stay in the Yokohama area, and this place was just what I needed and more. It was less than 7000/night. It's only a business hotel in central Yokohama, yet it was a good size, clean, modern. The bathroom had nice toiletries. The air conditioner worked well. I slept very well. I had a great buffet breakfast in the family restaurant on the 1st floor. If I have to go to Yokohama and stay a night again, I will probably go here again. Plus, the location is great. I found parking practically nextdoor, and it was a short walk to Kannai Station, the baseball stadium, and Chinatown. I was surprised how good the buffet breakfast was.
Choco M — Google review
Good room. Good service and breakfast options. Good choice for business or vacation. Very close distance from local shops, restaurants, and train station. Toilets are smaller in space compared to other hotels that I have stayed.

Location is good. Just opposite the kannai train station and has McDonald's Lawson opposite the hotel. But the smoking room smell is very bad, we have no choice to book the smoking room and hope they can help to change. But too bad...we stated in the twin room for 4 ppl for 2 nights. The room sat for 4 ppl, but it is extremely small, especially the toilet. I am 157cm and 64kg, but I can't even wear my clothes in the bathroom...the room smell is very bad as well...we opened the window also can let the smell disappear...but we like the location.

Capsule hotel
Capsule Plus Yokohama Sauna & Capsule offers a budget-friendly accommodation option with a futuristic concept. The capsules are situated in a large room without sound isolation, but each guest is provided with a personal locker and access to a separate luggage storage area. The lobby features vending machines and electricity access. Guests appreciate the cleanliness of the facilities and the provision of essentials such as pajamas, towels, shampoos, and lotions. Instructions are available in English for added convenience.
Excellent value for money, capsule was ok, there is a men-only small onsen (hot bath) with sauna. Cleanliness in general was ok, in the toilets was sometimes not so good (they clean everything once a day during 11am-3pm where nobody can be inside)
Patrick L — Google review
You have to check out every day at 10am. Maybe that's fine for business travellers but not if you've been out drinking the night before. I should be giving it 5 stars. The rooms are clean, the service good and location perfect but getting rudely awoken at 10am isn't exactly how I want to spend my time.
Eddie ( — Google review
Location really great and convenient. The storage area were small but still ok if you not fussy. The common area were little cramp but sufficient. The communal bath area can be better. Wish the capsule area colder. Overall I think it’s good but not for fussy person. If I solo in Yokohama, high chance I will stay here again due to location.
Chen L — Google review
Fantastic capsule hotel near Yokohama station. Which means you have everything within walking distance and quickly catch a train anywhere you want to go. The hotel is well kept and clean, and the helpful staff made this a clear winner for me when I was visiting Japan last year. The best part of this particular Capsule Plus hotel was the onsite onsen or bathhouse. Spacious and large rooms to shower, sweat and soak after a long day of walking or work. For this reason I came back this year to just go in for a bath as you can also pay to use the onsen without having to stay overnight. The hotel has separate levels for men and women with different capsules for booking. Some even come with a little room and office space for a bit more cash. There’s also an onsite laundry area and vending machines. The downside to this and most of these capsule hotels is that you have to check out and back in again. As well as pack up your stuff each nice and put away in your locker as you cannot keep anything out. Try to factor what into your daily schedule as it can possibly take up longer than you think. But once you do it you get the hang of it. Overall a great spot to go to rest, bath and get back out into the city.
Avedon A — Google review
You can’t knock the location but sadly any happiness about the place ends there. The staff struggled to ask very basic questions, even when translated into another language. They seemed to not so much lack basic English, as a touristic place of accommodation but also any enthusiasm or drive to want to help customers. It was like communicating with automons and this is just my first night! For example, I asked where the water is. Every place I’ve stayed in Japan has always had a supply of free water; they suggested I get it from the tap in the bathroom. Either they’re being exceedingly stupid or they simply don’t care. I can understand the lack of English but the not giving a hoot attitude is pretty awful to witness. While I was talking to the guy at reception, he just kept looking at other customer and wasn’t engaging at all. These staff lack basic customer service skills or any desire to help! This is very atypical of Japan. The locker was ridiculously narrow, so I struggled to fit my medium-sized ‘carry on’ (that would fit under an airline seat) bag in without emptying the whole thing out. I’m really starting to wish I’d booked somewhere else now. I’ve booked capsule hotels for over twenty years in Japan - this is the worst I’ve experienced so far.
David — Google review
Doing justice to the rating of this place, as I had a wonderful first time capsule hotel experience. Some things to note: - You are not allowed to be there from 10AM-2PM, although you can store your bag in the small locker and a luggage room. A little inconvenient but necessary to keep cleanliness. - There is only 6 showers for I would say 50 guests, which means you're likely to have to queue especially night time. - Everything is provided which was great - body wash, shampoo, face cleanser, toothbrush, toothpaste, body towel, face towel, bath mat, you name it. - You are asked to wear this 'uniform' when you get there. - There is only one USB charging in the pod, you can charge in the lobby area but is VERY slow. - It is not very soundproof as you only close the pod with a curtain, but generally people are very quiet other than coming in and out. Although on my last morning a couple of girls were chatting and laughing which was pretty inconsiderate. - Place felt very safe, you use your bracelets to enter areas. - Staff mostly speak decent english which was a plus to me. Overall, it was a good experience. Very cozy and clean, which is important to me.

Got to check out every day regardless of your actual check out day for cleaning. They hurt much you out at 11am every day. Agoda etc do not tell that.

Great location with Seven Eleven right next door and other convenient stores nearby. Very close to the station with lots to do. Probably wouldn't stay too many days just because you do get a bit tired. Rooms, showers and toilets are all very clean. The only thing that annoyed me was the lack of suitcase space and small lockers. If you're pretty relaxed it's totally fine, just need to organize and be planned about removing items from your suitcase. They give you pyjamas, toothbrushes, towels and everything you need - hairdriers and moisturizer in the bathrooms, etc 🧻

Mitsui Garden Hotel Yokohama Minatomirai PREMIER offers a comfortable and convenient stay in the heart of Minato Mirai. The hotel provides a peaceful atmosphere, with easy access to shopping centers and train stations. Guests can enjoy a good night's sleep on the cozy beds and pillows, as well as take advantage of amenities like a pool and bar with stunning views of Yokohama Bay.
Our room was lovely even though it wasn’t facing the harbour, we enjoyed looking out to the skyline and mountains every day. The hotel is not the closest to metro stations but it is in a neighborhood safe enough to walk around at night. It was very relaxing sitting in the outdoor lounge area. The breakfast buffet was very busy so it was a hit and miss whether you get good seats but the variety of food was not too bad. I would also like to thank Mr Alexander who was of great help with our suitcase issue. He went above and beyond to find the best and quickest solution for us and followed up on it daily. We would not have resolved the issue without his expertise, commitment to guest satisfaction and excellent English skills.

Really beautiful hotel, located close to the metro, shops and sightseeing spots. The building is really beautiful and the room were very spacious. The outdoor pool is cute but very small and time is limited due to a booking system. For the breakfast you also have to go through an online queuing system which made the holidays less relaxing than what they could have been.

I really like this hotel. The lobby is bright and beautiful, the bar and swimming pool are great. What makes me happiest is that every staff member is professional and polite, which left a very deep impression on me. Although I haven’t checked out yet, I hope I can come back again to experience this wonderful hotel.

The rooms are new, big and updated with a nice view of the city. The hairdryer is really good and efficient. The bed was comfortable. But the whole hotel was so so fragranced. The smell is so strong and overwhelming. If you are sensitive to fragrance don’t book this hotel. The smell in the room was very strong too. I don’t know if it’s a thing in Japan, but not everyone enjoys fragrance and there are actually a lot of people that are either allergic or sensitive to it.

Amazing hotel with top class rooms and they are super clean. The hotel rooms starts from 21st floor, so you will get a beautiful view of Yokohama. The hotel is located at the best location. The breakfast spread is wonderful. I was really surprised to see a vegetarian section which had many vegetarian/ vegan options.

Very nice hotel, everything clean and modern. However, just to clarify, they are not tattoo friendly. I did get in the gym but I suspect I wasn’t really allowed. To use the pool/onsen with tattoo, you could only have 1 or 2 if the they were smaller than palm size and therefore could be covered up with plaster. So if you have a few and you’re going here to specifically use the facilities, try somewhere else. Almost certainly because I’m heavily tattooed, the staff were a bit off with me

Nestled in the bustling heart of Yokohama, Oakwood Suites Yokohama offers a luxurious and convenient stay for travelers. The high-rise apartment hotel provides warm units, some with stunning bay views, and a well-equipped gym. Its strategic location near key transport hubs and major attractions like the Yokohama Museum of Art and Cosmo World makes it an ideal choice for visitors.
Incredible hotel. The views are extraordinary. The staff is friendly and helpful. Strong wi-fi connection. The gym was easily the best hotel gym I’ve ever had the pleasure of working out in. The hotel is right outside of a train station, so moving around was a breeze. The hotel was also within walking distance to so many great sites and parks. There is also a grocery store super close that provides quality and fresh food. This is obviously one of the best hotels in Yokohama.
Jason L — Google review
Disappointing, Overpriced, and Nowhere Near 4 Stars I had high expectations for Oakwood Suites Yokohama given its 4-star rating and premium pricing — but what I experienced was a complete letdown, bordering on appalling. First, the cleanliness was shockingly poor. I found strands of hair inside the refrigerator, which is beyond unacceptable for any hotel, let alone one charging luxury rates. The bathroom reeked of sewage, making it hard to even relax or take a proper shower. These are basic hygiene standards that even budget hotels manage to meet. The “view” — one of the few advertised selling points — is entirely accessible for free from the lobby level, making it feel like a cheap trick to justify their inflated room rates. Speaking of which, for what you're paying, you're essentially funding a high-rise hostel experience full of loud, inconsiderate tourists — not the serene, premium stay the branding suggests. To make matters worse, I requested a simple 1-hour late checkout (to 12:00 noon), which was flatly refused. The excuse? “Fully booked” — despite the check-in time being 3:00 PM. This level of rigidity and poor customer service is ridiculous, especially from a so-called luxury property. All in all, Oakwood Suites Yokohama is grossly overpriced, poorly managed, and fails at the fundamentals: cleanliness, service, and value. Spend your money elsewhere — you’ll find far better quality and service at half the price.

We stood for 2 weeks during our stay in Yokohama. Modern rooms like on the pictures, nice gym not crowded and clean, view morning and evening from the rooms so calming. There is a big supermarket nearby and train station which was extremely helpful ( fruits, veggies, high quality meat available) During long stay you will be missing a meeting room in case you need to have a call, study late night out of the room.

Currently staying here on level 49 with my husband and toddler. Our stay has been incredible so far. The staff from the front desk have been very welcoming and extremely helpful - from checking in late at night to helping transfer our luggage to the next city. The housekeeping team are very accommodating. I really appreciate all their help over my stay. The rooms are modern and immaculate. The kitchen has all the essentials and there is a washer/dryer combo in the bathroom. The residents' lounge is luxurious and inviting. The gym is massive for hotel standards and well equipped. The location is conveniently right next to Bashamichi station. The 360 degree views from the spacious lobby are breathtaking and unmatched! I cannot wait to visit Yokohama and stay at Oakwood suites again!
Daniella Q — Google review
This is an amazing property! My wife and I stayed in a one-bedroom suite on the 49th floor with a beautiful view of Yokohama Harbor and downtown Yokohama from the open balcony. After spending a week in some really small Japanese hotels, Oakwood Suites was a refreshing upgrade. The two dedicated elevators that take you to the lobby on the 46th floor are fast with no intermediate stops, so being on high floors is not as inconvenient as one might imagine. The metro station is below the complex and there are plenty of stores and restaurants nearby. I discovered the property will change ownership later this month (August 2025) and transition from serviced apartments to a standard luxury hotel. We would definitely return!

Wow! This property was awesome! The rooms were immaculate and had the best features. I would stay here again in a heartbeat even though I had business in another part of the city. Enough good cannot be stated about the hotel room or the friendly service. The beds were firm. If you like soft beds, this hotel is not for you.
L O — Google review
I recently stayed at Oakwood Suites Yokohama and, unfortunately, it was quite a disappointing experience. From the moment I arrived, the check-in process felt chaotic and took way longer than it should have. The staff at the front desk seemed overwhelmed and not very helpful, which added to my frustration. As for the room, it was spacious but not clean. I found dust on surfaces, and the bathroom didn’t seem properly sanitized. It’s really disappointing to see such a lack of attention to cleanliness, especially in a hotel that claims to offer high standards. The furniture also felt quite dated, which didn’t help create a cozy atmosphere. One of the biggest issues I faced was noise. The walls felt paper-thin, and I could hear everything from neighbors talking to traffic outside. This made it really hard to get a good night’s sleep, which is what I was hoping for during my stay. I was also let down by the amenities. The fitness center was lacking; several machines were out of service, and the Wi-Fi was spotty at best. It made it tough to stay connected when I needed to. While the hotel is in a convenient location, it just doesn’t make up for the numerous issues I encountered. I had high hopes for my stay, but it turned out to be quite the letdown.
Okay — Google review
I would give it a 6 star if i could. The rooms were impeccable with high end appliances (miele washer, delonghi toasters etc) extremely clean, and reasonable rates when i stayed. The lobby was breathtaking with a 360 degree view of Yokohama from the 46th floor. The subway station is right outside that provides easy connection to Yokohama station and to Tokyo. I would definitely stay here again.

HARE-TABI SAUNA&INN YOKOHAMA is a relaxed hostel in Yokohama City Centre with a railway theme, offering capsule-style beds, a cafe, and a trendy lounge. Guests have had wonderful stays and praised the helpful staff who can communicate effectively despite language barriers. The hostel has character and charm reminiscent of a rustic Western resthouse, with English-speaking staff and an on-site store. The capsules are comfortable and well-designed, making guests feel at home right away.
This was a great capsule hotel to stay in. It has a lot of character and charm、and it feels like a picture out of a rustic Western resthouse. The staff speaks English and they also run a store downstairs (plus a to-go coffee place). They even have free pads in the ladies restroom in case of emergency. One small tweak I would make is that they add some more songs to their playlist because you'll hear the same country songs a lot.
Melinda M — Google review
I stayed two nights at this hostel and it was an alright experience. The bed was quite comfy but with the privacy curtain closed, it was hot like an oven in the capsule. The location was great, right in the middle of Yokohama’s China Town. The showers were also on a very short timer requiring constantly pushing the ‘on’ button again to keep the water flowing. I would stay again if they installed fans in all of the capsules.
Ben W — Google review
Excellent that they have a no shower between 12-6am policy. Respectful to people sleeping. What's crazy however is that they play music throughout this time. Through the night!!! Beneath the thin veil of hipster-trendy decor this place is badly organised, arranged and run. Terrible night's sleep.

The staff was kind and they had an amazing translator that was easy to understand the room was good and had space for your luggage beside the bed and the location is great right next to china town and this was the best hotell in my trip i loved it

I went to the Shinyokohama Prince Hotel’s 7th floor BBQ last week. The staff were all very friendly. I wasn’t sure how to get to the BBQ area, so I asked one of the staff members, a trainee named Zar. Even though she seemed very busy, she was extremely patient and kindly guided me to the 7th floor. I really appreciated her warm and friendly smile — I think I might be falling for her.I do thank you and love you Shinyokohama prince hotel..

Fabulous place to stay with all amenities you could hope for with connected shopping centres and loads of food places nearby at Yokohama train station if you don't want to pay the more expensive Hotel restaurant prices. Brilliant views across city and even got a glimpse of MtFuji from our bedroom window

Japanese-style business hotel
Nestled in the heart of Yokohama, The Knot Yokohama is a contemporary hotel that seamlessly blends modern comfort with the city's rich history and culture. Just a short 5-minute stroll from JR Yokohama Station, it offers easy access to major train lines, making it an ideal base for exploring not only Yokohama but also Tokyo and beyond. Guests can enjoy stylish rooms equipped with complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi and indulge in international cuisine at the on-site restaurant.
The Knot is unique in a good way from any other hotel we’ve stayed at in Japan. The vibe is very chilled, from the music that welcomes you via the ground floor bar area through to the 2nd floor reception area. We found the staff welcoming, friendly and very competent. The coin operated laundry is clean and the washer/dryer machines are very inexpensive; so very convenient to have this facility in the hotel. Note the room and bathroom is small; however, we managed well with 2 suitcases and 3 bags. A pleasant surprise was having full sized coffee mugs (a small thing, but the oft supplied tiny mugs is annoying)! Thank to all at The Knot!
Joy L — Google review
Bad points : 1. The welcome drink was not served and instead we were given a token to collect the drink from the 1st floor. 2. Throughout our stay the staff was very cold and often responded using a few words, no smiling. 3. We were asked to drop the room key at the front desk every time we went out, even if it was for a short time. This was very inconvenient. 4. The hotel claims the rooms are sound proof but we heard yawning, talking and laughing from other rooms. Good points: 1. Rooms were very clean. 2. Lots of Amenities.
Amasha K — Google review
I've booked this hotel in March 2025 for a week. The hotel in itself is old, the carpet smells old, the furnitures are old. I've booked the large double room for a week and my stay was not worth the money I've spent. The carpet is my room had multiple large black and white spills. The bathroom faucet was cracked. Also I've opted for less cleaning, and the staff gave me two sets of pyjamas, towels, and slippers everyday for 7 days. I had accumulated a huge pile of them by the end of my stay. The silver lining was that the staff was really helpful. they carried my luggage to my room and accepted my parcel deliveries. The hotel isn't close enough to the station (it looks like it is). The streets around the hotel are very lively with loads of izakaya and one karaoke place , if that's what you like. Would not go again.
Léo P — Google review
I had mixed experiences with front desk staff. The younger male staff seemed inexperienced and delivered bad service which was frankly rude. Later when I actually came to check in, there was a different range of shift staff on; and this time they were kind and helpful. The rooms are nice but the carpets are scuffed and need a deep clean or renovation. The location was calm. The room was rather small as is standard in these hotels at these locations. No storage space.
David — Google review
Very nice staff!!! When the restaurant downstairs noticed i had a disability they were very Accommodating!!! Anyone who stays in Yokohama for whatever time they are there i 100 present recommend this hotel
Jake S — Google review
Probably my least fav Knot location by far. Everything’s super old, and the AC would not work (0 air circulation at all) so the room was super stuffy. Better off paying less to stay at a business hotel.
Lucy — Google review
The room looks fantastic, very rustic/retro. The walls are super thin though. I had a room of girls who chatted and laughed till the wee hours of the morning and calls to the front desk were met with utter indifference so nothing was done at all. The carpet also felt like it hasn’t been vacuumed in a while since I tend to react to dust. Wouldn’t recommend!
Godfrey F — Google review
Rooms are on the small size, especially the bathroom. The beds are comfortable and rooms are adequate with small tables, lights, tv small fridge n cozy environment. The bar and restaurant on first floor are actually pretty good and have a constant stream of customers. The free breakfast was really good and you get about 10/20% off on dinners at Smoke, The Restaurant. The staff is attentive and the food is well presented. Our waiter was from The Dells in Wisconsin of all places. Nice guy. Location is outstanding. Shopping, eating, people watching or ease of subway access are all pluses.

Located in the heart of Yokohama, Rose Hotel Yokohama offers a variety of amenities such as a spa, restaurants and an outdoor pool. Rooms are comfortable and have free wired internet and a minibar.
The hotel staff were very helpful and accommodating - we travelled with a family member who was on a wheelchair. And the hotel staff helped to bring our many luggages up to our rooms upon check-in. The hotel staff was especially helpful as we had to send back the keys to a previous hotel that we stayed at. The hotel staff helped us to send the keys to Fuji and we paid the very reasonable postage fee. The rooms were clean. It is also right in the heart of Chinatown, so it was easy to push the family member around.
G J — Google review
Friendly staff, fantastic location. Literally right across the street from Chinatown and close to the port for cruises. Near a convenience store. Breakfast was tasty but we did not eat other meals there. Rooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable. The a/c had directions in English, once we toggled properly.

Worst Hotel Experience in Japan – Totally Not Worth It! This was by far the worst hotel we stayed at during our entire trip to Japan. The room was extremely cramped and outdated. Upon check-in, they tried to upsell us by showing a misleading photo of a so-called “luxury” room and pushed us to pay an extra 3,000 yen for an upgrade. DO NOT fall for it — the actual room was dark, worn out, and had zero view (just some messy buildings outside the window). One of the main reasons we booked this hotel was because of the pool shown in the photos. But beware: the pool is NOT included and costs extra to use — something that was not clearly stated in the promotional pictures. Even worse, when our child wanted to swim and the adults didn’t, we were told that adults also had to pay just to accompany the child — even if not swimming! Unlike every other hotel we stayed at in Japan, this one did NOT provide enough towels or amenities for the number of guests — we had to pay extra even for basic items like a towel for our child. This kind of policy feels extremely cheap and unfriendly. What really left a bad taste was the poor service. When we tried to express our concern about the misleading advertising regarding the pool, the female manager at the front desk coldly told us, “That’s not our responsibility, talk to the platform you booked from.” Zero sense of accountability or hospitality — a complete shock in Japan, where service is usually exceptional. We had high expectations for Yokohama, but unfortunately this hotel experience ruined it for us. It’s overpriced, low quality, and the service was by far the worst we encountered in Japan. Do yourself a favor — avoid this place. Not worth your money or time.

Our stay at the Rose Hotel was a last minute change of plans but wow! Thanks universe. We absolutely loved Yokohama and a reason of that was Rose Hotel. Its location is perfect proximity to local attractions, clean/comfortable rooms and the most accommodating staff. Junko was so kind and helpful from the moment we arrived. She ensured our stay was good and our travels were smooth. Very grateful to have spent time at Rose Hotel!
Janelle M — Google review
The property is very well located, literally opposite the Chinatown area with plenty of dining options. The hotel has a long history and strong DNA, something which is rare nowadays. Service level is 5 star and the hotel Team is sparing no time and efforts to meet guests expectations. Definitely I place I would recommend if you plan to stay in this part of Yokohama.
Vance E — Google review
It is on the Chinatown so there is no limit of Chinese food. Clean and large room. Could work on morning buffet but can’t complain much due to cheap pricing. Convenient location (closed to the train station).
Itchy A — Google review
We stayed here just for the location, right next to Chinatown. Staff were polite and can speak English. Rooms were outdated and there were no towels in the room at all on the first day. They handout a 10% off Breakfast coupon which is still overpriced. Lots of cafes and restaurants nearby.

Nestled in the heart of Yokohama, New Otani Inn Yokohama Premium is a contemporary haven for travelers seeking both comfort and convenience. This stylish hotel boasts modern rooms, some offering stunning views of the bay, along with complimentary Wi-Fi to keep you connected during your stay. Guests can indulge in delicious meals at the on-site restaurant or explore a variety of dining options at Colette Mare shopping town, which is directly linked to the hotel.
This hotel is great. Its location and conveniences are the best, and the rooms and service has been very good. Very worth it just for the location alone since it's connected to Colette • Mare, the nearby mall, and is very close to Sakuragicho Station and all other nearby attractions. Service has been very great. They were able to accommodate us despite arriving very early in the morning (inform them and book accordingly) and requests were handled promptly by room service. Rooms were in great condition since we checked in Oct. 26, 2024.

“Hey everyone! I’m in Yokohama staying at the Hotel New Otani Inn Yokohama Premium, right next to Sakuragicho Station — super convenient for getting around. The room is modern and clean, and the bed is really comfortable. But the highlight? This view. You get the Minato Mirai skyline and the Ferris wheel right outside your window — absolutely stunning, especially at night. Breakfast has both Japanese and Western options, and the staff are super professional and polite. One thing to keep in mind: the hotel offers smoking and non-smoking rooms, so make sure you choose what suits you. Overall, great location, amazing views, and a comfy stay. Definitely recommended if you’re visiting Yokohama!”

Location was perfect for our stay. I was traveling with my elderly parents, so having the convenience of shopping, food places and taxi pick right there was perfect! Staff was kind to arrange our rooms close to each other. Check in and check out process flawless. Rooms were clean, bed comfortable and appreciated having free access to filtered water on the floor. Our view was stunning of Mount Fuji. I did get to see the ocean side view, and that was awesome as well. No wrong choices to be made as far as room. Recommend staying here for the convenience! 🤙🏾

The hotel's strategic location near Sakuragichō Station, which offers direct access via JR train from Narita, is a significant boon. The added convenience of a shopping center within the same building further elevates the overall experience, making it effortless to find everyday necessities. The rooms, meticulously designed with a modern touch and ample space, are a testament to the hotel's unwavering commitment to guest comfort. Equipped with all the necessary amenities, they provide a cozy and convenient stay. The extensive breakfast buffet, thoughtfully prepared to cater to a variety of tastes, ensures a satisfying start to the day. Some aspects can be improved. For instance, I found the check-in and check-out process to be tedious. I arrived at the hotel after a 15-hour journey and requested an early check-in. After asking three times, I was offered the option of moving into a room earlier for an additional charge of around 30 USD per hour. Additionally, when checking out, the room card was taken, which meant I couldn't check out the day before to avoid waiting on the day of departure. Since I booked the hotel through a portal, the hotel didn't want to issue me a payment confirmation. Also, not all front desk staff members understood spoken English well. I'm sorry, but I don't want to deal with said inconvenience on a business trip. Therefore, I will try to find an alternative on my next trip.

Nestled in the heart of Yokohama, APA Hotel Yokohama Kannai offers a delightful blend of comfort and convenience for travelers. Just a short stroll from both Kannai Subway Station and JR Kannai Station, this hotel is perfectly situated for exploring local attractions like Yokohama Stadium and the iconic Red Brick Warehouse. Guests can enjoy bright, air-conditioned rooms equipped with modern amenities such as flat-screen TVs, fridges, and unique mattresses designed for optimal comfort.
I really enjoyed my time. Just didn't like that the room smelled of smoke but it was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was AMAZING. I really loved that there was a Lawson across the road that I would visit at 1am because I could. The business and train station was also really close by, convenient location.

5-7 mins from Kannai station 15 mins to China Town Mini supermarket is just a minute walk. The room is very small. Even compared to APA standards, it is small. The structure is not well organized and room configurations differ even within same category. Also, the table was not properly cleaned/wiped and the shower curtain really smelled badly. The public bath is clean and cozy with full amenity available at the sink. The breakfast is good compared to other APA hotels. The WiFi was not good at all. Although the WiFi is connected, there was no internet connection. If I have to stay in Yokohama, I will choose Yokohama Tower or other hotels nearby.

we had a great time! Yes the rooms are a little small but with EVERYTHING you need! we booked last minute. it looks a bit like a Las Vegas hotel with a large entrance, huge reception desk, infinite corridor to reach the room, restaurants, pubs, cafes, shops all inside with a beautiful, large, accommodating onsen and also with many services! would i go back? absolutely yes! the bus stop is two steps away to go to the airport, it is located near the sea, a shopping center is very close and also close the most beautiful attractions of Yokohama . excellent excellent!

I've stayed at quite a few APA hotels and usually service is fairly good, however not at this APA hotel. The staff I met, Nishijima, when checking in was one of the unfriendliest and least customer service oriented staff members that I have ever encountered. Right away, I did not feel welcomed at all by her. There was no smile, and an unfriendly attitude. Even though she was wearing a mask, you can still usually tell if the person is smiling and has a good attitude, but she was the opposite of that. Her responses were curt and she had a condescending attitude. Usually at the end of check-in procedures, staff members would tell you where the elevators were and sometimes explain about the facilities and services they offered, as well as say something along the lines of "We hope you enjoy your stay." But she didn't say any of that. It really dampened my stay at the hotel. My reservation was for a few days, but it made me only want to stay for a day. I would've left early if I could've gotten a refund for the other days, but I had prepaid. I am an executive APA member and severely disappointed with the service I received. It doesn't matter that I'm an APA hotel member, even if I wasn't, all guests should receive friendly and courteous service.
Silver — Google review
We stayed only for 1 night whilst passing through. We left a more modern APA near BAKUROCHO-EKI which was fitting out with more modern furniture, but smaller. (Hard to imagine an APA being even smaller lol). This one is not as modern but slightly more spacious which was honestly not a bad tradeoff. Kim checked us in and was friendly and polite. Good customer service and they held our bags until check-in time. They also have an onsen here apparently which is a nice extra.

We have come to the end of a road trip in Japan and the last hotel is here. We stayed at a lot of the route inns across Japan which have been suitable until this last location. Parking… there isn’t any. Wait there is 10 bays for 240 rooms! So forget it. Eco cleaning. Don’t bother with the free drink token they are less value than the drink so useless.. washing machines.. 3 for the 240 rooms forget it takes 3 hrs to wait for a machine .. service. I think they attempted to give me service but really working with this facility they had nothing to give. Hey close to a train station but easily smallest rooms in the network , can’t park within 1km of the building.

Given Yokohama's often high prices, this hotel was a fantastic find, hitting the sweet spot between comfort and cost. My most memorable positive experiences were the outstanding cleanliness (it was truly immaculate!) and the quality of the breakfast. It's been a while since my visit, but my fond memories of the stay remain incredibly clear.

Service is very nice. Staff are professional and friendly. There are free samples of face mask and lotion for female guests available in the evening at the lobby. Rooms are clean. Housekeeping staff take care of every little thing seriously. Breakfast is free with stay. Very tasty western and Japanese style food is served. Menu changes every day during my one-week stay. I enjoyed staying in the hotel during summer, 2019. Hope the hotel can maintain good business and get over the pandemic! Pray for the friendly staff at the hotel.

Location is great. Get off on Bashamichi Station Exit 5 and it's right there. Literally 30 secs from the moment you reach ground level. There is my favorite Ootoya right downstairs. I hate the closest convenience store "Daily Yamazaki." They always have a smoke party right outside the door that you can smell in the store. If you plan to stay for a long time, there's a Gold's Gym within 30 seconds too. I simply can't recommend this hotel because I was unable to sleep well. The bed was rock hard and the room/hotel had a funky smell. The room is older. Torn wall papers, there was a plate that opens to the outside and that plate was broken. I can hear drunk gatherings even with the windows closed. The room is relatively larger by a tad bit in the price range compared to APA. If you choose to not have your room cleaned, they will reward you with either a drink or Ponta 200 Points scratch card. I would recommend APA Yokohama Bay Resort which is a tad bit more walk, but it's a lot newer and refined for the same price. The only downside is the smaller room.
Kenjiro Y — Google review
Disappointing, old interior, very very limited breakfast with no fresh products. The room is much smaller than it appears on the photo's. Fine you 10% per hour if you want to check out later than 10am. Will never return.

I was really shocked and horoed by what this store did. When I left this place miles away, I found that one of my phones was lost. I immediately called the store to say that I may have lost my phone and told the relevant information. They said they would help find it and reply. I am very grateful at this time. During the waiting period, I confirmed that the phone was in the store through the location. Half an hour later, I called back again to ask if they had found the phone, since my Japanese was not good, the staff merely said few words coldly that they had not heard of anyone picking up the phone. And they can't help check the locker now. Then I took a taxi back to the store and asked in English if I could look for my phone in the locker by myself . Then I saw my phone right, at, the desk, at the front desk.…. I am very grateful to the store for helping me find my phone, and I am sorry for the trouble caused to the staff by losing something in the store,…….but I can't understand why they found the lost item and still not telling me the truth after my many times of contact. And the different reaction between they hearing me, as an Asian, speaking non-fluent JP and natively EN … really disappointed me….

Not worth the money to stay over night. The plywood sweat box they rent out is terrible. Every sound from the room is heard.

It isn't the best onsen or spa, but for its price it is of shockingly great value, esp considering it is not crowded at all (it was a weekday evening I visited the place).

(Translated by Google) I visited by motorbike. There is a motorbike parking space on the first floor of the building. It can't accommodate many motorbikes, but there seems to be enough space for even large motorbikes. It's good that it's separated from bicycle parking. The facility isn't very crowded, so it feels like a hidden gem. The hot spring water is black and the quality seems good, but perhaps because of the open ceiling, the air conditioning inside the facility isn't very effective. It would be nice if they could at least make the air conditioning a little stronger in the changing rooms. (Translated by Google) I went there during Golden Week and it wasn't that crowded. The bath water is dark and leaves your skin feeling moist. For resting, there is a recliner with a TV and a sofa next to the restaurant, and there are also a fair number of manga available. The hammocks and benches on the rooftop are also nice when the weather is nice. The rock bath room was just a bare, warm room, which was disappointing. Nowhere was too crowded and it was comfortable to spend time there. I'd like to go back when I want to relax. Super Hotel Shinyokohama is a budget hotel with modern, streamlined designs. It's conveniently located near Shin-Yokohama Station, and popular attractions like the Ramen Museum and Yokohama Arena concert venue. The rooms are basic but comfortable, with complimentary breakfast included.
The place was great. Easy access to shinyokohama station. Nice with the ramen museum close by too. Nice with the onsen and breakfast bufee was nice, although a bit crowded and maybe because the bufee closed at 9 which is a bit too early for me but helped going up in the morning to do stuff. Interesting idea with the first floor being just the elevator upp and 2nd floor being service floor and the rest are the rooms. Makes it very accessible to get in and out withput much hassle and a plus for me is the stairs. Nice having them around : ) The room I had was fine. No issues. But nothing special either. The only complaint I have was the neighborhood. Sorta unclean and lots of parties and people trying to hook you into places, especially at night time.
Ludvig S — Google review
Pros: - Very close to Shin Yokohama station (5 mins walk) - Close to many restaurants and convenience stores - Quiet neighbourhood - Clean hotel - Very easy and friendly check in process - Breakfast included from 6:00-9:00. Decent breakfast selection - Good wifi - Onsen in hotel - New towels brought to door even without housekeeping Cons: - Extremely small rooms. We initially got a 3 person room and it was one double bed and a single top bunk. Barely any room for two people to walk around and pass each other in the room. Couldn’t imagine doing it with 3 people. Our third guest ended up getting their own room. The woman at the check in desk was very kind and accommodating when we asked for a last minute single room for our third guest. It was a smoking room which we didn’t want but she explained that they have an ozone machine which filters and cleans the air which helped a lot.
Erika — Google review
An easy walk from the Shin Yokohama station even with luggage. The pedestrian overpass has lifts at both ends. The room and toilets are tiny but clean. I don’t bother to shower in the room so I use the onsen instead. See the photo for why. Breakfast selection is small but well balanced. In the evenings they put out a range of alcohol in the dining room where you can DIY your own cocktails. You can select your own pillows at the lift lobbies. Internet is fast and reliable. Overall a nice place to stop for a couple of nights, do your laundry, take in the sights of Yokohama. Staff are polite and helpful. Definitely value for money.
Michelle L — Google review
We liked the Hotel and the onsen. But the Room was way to small for 3 people. We couldn’t open our luggage properly 🥲
Nelio H — Google review
Like practically every hotel in the Super chain, this one comes with loads of amenities and immaculate service. What’s different, though, is the free breakfast. This one definitely had more variety than those served at other locations. The freshly made croissants were really, really yummy! In terms of access, very near to Shin Yokohama Station. If you use the overhead bridges connected to the station, one would actually land you merely steps away from the hotel. (No elevator at that exit, however)
Scribbling G — Google review
Used this hotel as daily use, as I had to go somewhere in Shin-Yokohama after an online class. Chose this hotel because it was the cheapest in the area. The room was clean, typical business hotel room. Staff was polite enough. People who complain about size clearly don't live in Japan or travel often here, it's a regular size for a Japanese business hotel room. With daily use you also get bathroom access; unfortunately I had no time to use it, but I was surprised it was included even though it was the cheapest hotel in the area for the day.
Diletta F — Google review
Very clean, awesome area with lots to see and do. I definitely prefer Shin Yokohama area over Town Center. Typical Japanese room size, but no smoking and super clean!!

Nice staff, and nice place. Me just go alone for business trip, so it’s hard to handle my suitcase to bus station (me stay in JP 1 month so my suitcase a bit heavy), but when I asked, the staff of hotel help me bring the suitcase to bus station even in middle of lunch break time. Really appreciated. Breakfast also good, me stay there for 1 month.

Great hotel, prime location. The rooms are good with all amenities, though I would say they are a bit small considering the price point. The breakfast served is good with many varities, the lounge has juices and coffee and can be accessed by the guests in this hotel. The station connectivity and the cubic plaza makes it more valuable. Overall I had a great stay here.

Very welcoming and warm staff at check in. Dining and shopping options abound with the complex. Also the hotel is above the transit center making travel easy. Outside the hotel is a taxi stand. Rooms are well appointed with all amenties you need for comfortable stay. Local attractions are close enough to walk to or by subway.

Stayed at hotel Associa for 4 nights. It is located above the Shin-Yokohama station. Overall the hotel is decent, rooms are a little small, similar to most local Japanese hotels. The breakfast buffet uses the royal host outside the hotel lobby. If you are on vacation in Shin-Yokohama and want a decent hotel price, Hotel Associa is a good choice. The front desk staff is always courteous and helpful.

The Hilton Yokohama is conveniently located in the heart of the city, within walking distance from major train stations. The hotel boasts a modern and elegant ambiance with helpful staff who speak English. The rooms are spacious and clean, featuring tatami floors and comfortable beds. Guests can enjoy a generous breakfast spread, although some items may not meet expectations. Overall, the hotel offers a luxurious experience with breathtaking views of the Yokohama riverside.
We recently spent a couple of nights at the Hilton Yokohama. We could not have asked for a better experience from the time we arrived. The amount of personal care from the entire staff was amazing. Everything from our accommodations to the breakfast buffet was top notch. I have come to expect this type of service from old school European hotels. I was so pleased to have received it from a modern hotel. The Hilton Yokohama provided one of my best stays anywhere, Thank you

Very nice hotel, typical of a Hilton. Very well maintained building, multiple food choices in the hotel to pick from, friendly staff that speaks English (a nice touch as I do not speak Japanese), paid parking on site. Room is spacious and nice. Room has a mini fridge but not microwave (that may not be a common thing in Japan, I am unsure). Very pleased!
Pbandj37 — Google review
We stayed here during our visit in July and enjoyed our stay. The rooms were large and the beds were very comfortable. It was more similar to North American style rooms in size. This was a nice change after staying in smaller Japanese style rooms in previous cities. The staff was really helpful and the service was really good. We were shipping luggage to Tokyo and they had the service at reception. They filled out the forms and took care of everything. They even have boxes there if you have items that you can't fit into your suitcases. I would say that the hotel isn't easy to get to from Yokohama station. It's possible but it's a bit of a walk and you have to cross the river. It's easier just to take a taxi to and from the train station.
Ken K — Google review
Shiny new hotel, decent-sized rooms, and a passable gym. Easy to all from station….. if not raining. Executive upgrade? Total flop—not worth the cash.
Check-in was a mess; rookie staffer kept grabbing my wife’s bag like it was a game (10+ tries, will she give up?)
Breakfast on the 5th floor? Dismal. By 7:30, no good hot food—chicken gone, white bread vanished, just a sad powdered-egg omelette.
Feels like management’s asleep at the wheel; none even around to complain to. Thanks to the junior bellboy on the front desk for speaking decent English. Expect the Intercontinential a much better option.

Hotel is almost brand new. Everything is meticulously clean, very modern and of high quality. Our room toilet was our favorite. Staff is friendly, courteous and professional. Special thanks to Natsuki and Alice. They went out of their way to help us many times. Location is in a business district, 20 minutes walk to Yokohama Train Station. Executive lounge breakfast is excellent and complimentary for Hilton Gold and Diamond members. It includes many choices. Overall, this hotel should be rated 5 star.

The room and location is very good. Only the negative point is the food choice during the evening cocktail time in the club lounge. Compare to other similar class hotels, the food choice is too limited and kind of low quality.

-You cannot beat that view from the hotel. - Room was good but bathroom could have been better. But wasn't a deal breaker. -Staff checked us in promptly and even allowed to check in a bit earlier than scheduled. You have to go to 20th floor for check in. And must use card for elevator access. - While it's a bit far from the Yokohama station, there are lots shops, an amusement park, even a shopping district and a fish market nearby. -Overall great experience. Wasn't that expensive either.

Besides no microwave or hot water kettle in the room, everything else was perfect! Great staff, great location, clean rooms and friendly friendly people in general in the area. Nice view of the city lights. The resturant was wonderful, I loved that there was that option in the building.

I stayed here with my family for a weekend, and I assume the room I was given was on the floor designated for adults with children, which was nice. However, the room I was in pretty bad shape, with torn curtains, torn wallpaper, damaged bathroom door (door handle detached), and mildly damaged furniture. It had me wondering how bad would it have to get until it was finally fixed. For a pretty expensive hotel, I expected better for the room, but the view out the window was very nice. The parking situation was also pretty ridiculous, because it was a normal Times paid parking garage, but if someone had multiple guests over, they would be taking up parking spaces meant for people who are actually staying at the hotel for multiple days, which is really inconvenient. One would have to camp out until someone leaves or find a park area blocks away. Overall my stay was pretty nice despite the minor inconveniences.
Chris H — Google review
Gorgeous! Even though I only had a partial harbor view, it was still really nice. Rooms are bigger than most Japanese hotels, and i saw them being cleaned thoroughly. Staff is helpful and speaks English! Restaurant is on 19th floor and serves breakfast through dinner for a fee. Check-in is on 20th floor and gym and amenities are available there for free. Self checkout on the first floor is super easy and takes 10 seconds. There is a 7/11 adjacent to the hotel which is very convenient. Rooms and hotel overall are very clean and beautiful. The only con is that the AC was confusing to use and didn’t really work. The air purifier also doubles as a fan but isn’t very strong. I was hot the entire night :/ Other than that, I would recommend

Went with wife and 2 kids. Rooms are decent. No phones inside the room though. There is a communal phone in the hallway. Ammenities can be found in the hotel lobby which is cool, you get what you need. The service, the restaurant that served breakfast was really nice. The view and servers was nice and hospitable. They were very attentive to our needs. The receptionist was also okay, we asked for a room in the higher floor but was refused though. Maybe they can't operate all the rooms on the top floor cause it was clearly empty but yeah, we wanted a nice view from the room but what we got was a room on the 5th floor, street view. Location, not really great. For the price their offering you would expect it to be 5-10 minutes walk from the closest station. It's around 15 minutes. But it was close to The anpanman museum which is why we chose this hotel in the first place. Overall - It was a pleasant stay, we really wanted a higher floor but given that we had two kids with us, maybe they did not want us on the higher floor.
Yukio O — Google review
Nice, clean modern rooms with free wifi. Complementary toiletries are available on the 20th floor, across from the reception counter. Small, free fitness room available from 6am until 11pm. Fabulous hotel for the end of our holiday. Would be an ideal location for anyone heading on a cruise or visiting the harbour area. Staff were super helpful and polite. We had an executive twin with a beautiful harbour view to wake up to on our last morning in Japan. Room was spotless and super comfortable with every amenity you could possibly need. Would love to visit again.

I had a fantastic stay at Citadines Harbour Front Yokohama! The hotel is modern, spotless, and very comfortable. My room was spacious, well-equipped, and had everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The location is perfect—right by the waterfront with easy access to public transport, shopping, and restaurants. The views of the harbour are beautiful, and it’s a great spot to enjoy both the city and the seaside atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful, making the whole experience even better. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Yokohama! The metro is also right next door making it very easy to get around

We booked our stay via Agoda and it was a pleasant experience. Upon arrival, I informed the staff that we were checking in for my daughter’s birthday, and when we entered the room, they had prepared a card and a tumbler gift for her. Checking in was smooth, the staff were friendly and accommodating, and the room was clean. They even upgraded us to a better room, which we really appreciated. Overall, it was a wonderful stay with thoughtful service. The only downside was that the Chromecast wasn’t working, so the kids had nothing to watch. Still, we truly enjoyed our stay and would consider coming back.

We had a great one-night stay at this hotel prior to going on a cruise at the port. It's an ideal location for pre or post cruise if your cruise line docks at the Osanbashi Pier as it's a very easy 5 minute walk from the hotel to the terminal (even with your luggage.) In fact our room had a view of the pier and we could see our ship from our hotel window when we woke up on departure morning. The room was nice enough for a one night stay. It felt modern enough in decor and style. It was very clean and the bathroom and shower served our needs well. The staff was very friendly and happy to have us. They encouraged us to join the free loyalty program so we could take advantage of the later checkout perk (ideal so we could have extra time in the morning to explore one or 2 nearby attractions before having to check out and go to the cruise terminal. There is a lot to do nearby including the Yokohama Chinatown (lots to eat there and fun to look at) and the nearby Sill Museum all within easy walking distance of the hotel. Our stay included breakfast at the connected Coffee Kan cafe on the corner of the hotel building which included a nice buffet of both Japanese and western foods along with really good coffee. This was an excellent choice for being as close as possible to the cruise terminal and would be a great base to explore more of Yokohama.

The property features a cafe, female-only lounge, and complimentary Wi-Fi throughout. It is conveniently situated near popular attractions such as Nissan Stadium, Sankeien, and Higashiyamata Park.
They offered a smart and compact accommodation option right in the heart of Yokohama. The design emphasized simplicity and efficiency, perfectly suited for a solo traveler like me. The room, though compact, was thoughtfully arranged to maximize space. The bed was large and comfortable, with clean white bedding accented by a stylish orange cushion. A functional desk setup, completed with adequate lighting and a comfortable chair, made it easy to station myself. The color scheme, with navy blue accents and warm wooden tones, gave the room a calm and modern feel. The bathroom was well-equipped, featuring a Japanese-style bidet toilet, a deep bathtub, and wall-mounted amenities like shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner in clean and simple packaging. The lighting was bright and created a fresh atmosphere. The building itself was a modern high-rise, with a clean, minimalistic entrance that welcomed me warmly. The signage was clear and easy to find even at night thanks to good illumination😍

This place gives you what you need but nothing more in a pretty good location. Busy street with lots of food options and 13 min walk to Yokohama station. It was hard to roll out luggage on tiled/uneven streets surface. As a Bonvoy member, I would not stay here again. For family of 4, we had to split up between two floors due to only one room per floor with two twin beds. Worst of all, we could not access each other’s floor unless you had a key so it was inconvenient although they say they do it for safety reasons. The elevator always stops on the second floor each ride, also for “safety” reason and they clean your room for “hygiene” reason every 3 days which I thought was odd. Overall, it would be okay for young single person or a couple but definitely would not stay here with a family. Bathroom sink was so tiny that I felt like I was on a cruise with minimal space. No food option at the hotel(more of a motel feel) other than a vending machine and a microwave with water machine on each floor. I do appreciate a coin laundry option. There is a restaurant next door that sells you breakfast sets for about 1200 yen. Overall, disappointed for a Marriott property.
Susie L — Google review
It functions more like an independent hotel, not exactly part of Bonvoy or Marriott standard. Arrived the hotel earlier and asked the front desk if I could check in earlier. Even with high Bonvoy status and will check out next day in early morning, the front desk staff insisted that they don’t care if you have gold or any higher Bonvoy status, you can only check in after 3pm. The staff also made fun of the hotel where they work. Saying this hotel is at the lowest rank/cheapest among Marriott, shameful.
Shawn W — Google review
Very reasonable price and great location! The room itself is rather small for a double bed, but for two nights stay, it’s more than enough for me. The bathroom itself is clean and slightly in the larger size! Location is super convenient, located about 5 minutes walk from the Yokohama train station. There are also lots of restaurants and shops around! CeeU beside the hotel has a large supermarket! Note that for marriott reward, get 1 night credit for every two nights stay!
James — Google review
Recently stayed at the newly transitioned Four Points Flex Yokohama, and overall had a great experience. The rooms are clean, modern, and feel refreshed. The bed was surprisingly comfortable—definitely better than the typical firm Japanese mattresses—but fair warning for tall guests: the blanket is a bit short if you're over 6 feet. Location is a big plus. It’s right in the heart of Yokohama, surrounded by shops and restaurants, and only a 5–10 minute walk to the train station—very manageable with rolling luggage. One downside for Marriott Bonvoy members: you only earn 1 night credit for every 2 nights stayed with this brand, which may be a consideration for those tracking elite status. That said, it's a solid option in Yokohama for comfort, convenience, and value.

The hotel features a fitness center, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi, and a restaurant. Guests can enjoy spacious rooms with separate bath and toilet areas, soundproofed windows, and city views.
I always choose the residential room type at this hotel, which comes equipped with a mini kitchen and a washer—an incredibly convenient setup for longer stays or anyone who prefers a more home-like experience. The location is unbeatable—just a short walk to Yokohama Station, which is a major hub with multiple train lines. Whether you're heading into central Tokyo or exploring the local area, transportation is seamless. Despite most of our activities being in central Tokyo, the comfort and convenience of this hotel make it absolutely worth staying here. You're also surrounded by shopping malls, grocery stores, and department stores, so everything you need is right nearby. What really makes the stay special is the friendly and helpful staff. They're always welcoming and go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. I keep coming back to this hotel because it truly delivers every time. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great balance of location, comfort, and service.

This hotel is only 1 year old and the facilities are spotless. It is within a 5 minute covered walk from Yokohama Station, making it extremely convenient. The room was slightly larger than usual for the area and price, had a very comfortable double bed, a large TV, and a small sofa. Unlike many business hotels, the room had a separate shower (no bath) and washbasin, and toilet. Value for the location and quality of the hotel was exceptional. Although there are some signs along the way indicating the direction of the hotel, it could be better as some of the way was confusing. Check in is almost entirely by computer, and although it was available in Japanese and English, it was somewhat of a hassle. The address information, etc. should have gone from Booking.com to the hotel. And, since we had prepaid for the room, checkout should have just required handing the room card to the front desk, and not having to use the computer. Many hotels have a room card dropoff.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights & were very happy with our stay. Our room was fairly spacious, clean & bright. It came with a washer/dryer & kitchenette. We had a sofa bed which was surprisingly even better than standard beds elsewhere. The hotel was pretty new & modern with USB charging points & power points conveniently located throughout the room. The sizeable gym was reasonably equipped & functional. Breakfast was a combination of fixed meal & buffet which was very nice. It's quite close to Yokohama JR station but was pretty hard to locate. Other than that it's perfect & we would return when in the area

The hotel is located right next to the subway station and surrounded by many restaurants, making it very convenient, especially for first-time visitors to Yokohama. The staff are friendly, the place is very clean, and there are plenty of elevators, so you rarely have to wait. The room is small, which is typical in Japan, but it’s modern and equipped with a smart TV for Netflix and more. My room had a built-in washer and dryer, which isn’t common in many hotels but is a must-have for us, especially in the hot weather when daily laundry is needed. Highly recommended.

The reception and lobby is located on the 4th floor of the Yokohama Front building. We had the queen room and it was pretty spacious compared to typical business hotels. Toilet has its own separate room. Also the shower and tub is pretty roomy. If you want zero interaction checking out, they have express checkout where you can do it from your room’s TV. You just have to leave your keycards in the room. This hotel was a pitstop on our way to a different city. It was conveniently close to the train station. Overall it was good and I will definitely come back again if I’m in the area.

Great hotel in a fantastic location. The atmosphere, service and rooms are impeccable. Rooms are spacious (for Japan) and include all the modern amenities like mini-fridge, high end Toto Toilet, large TV with Netflix, Hulu, YouTube & more. Humidifier is great and AC works well. The staff is so friendly and always respectful. The restaurant and City Bakery are delicious as well.

Excellent location, just next to Yokohama Station. Unlike other hotels where you have to keep an eye out for an available washing machine, this hotel is very thoughtful and has machines on three different floors. On the floor I stayed, there were three machines, and they were always available. I stayed at two different hotels during this trip, and my 6-year-old daughter asked me, “Can we stay there again next time?”
Iris K — Google review
So good. The hotel is of high quality and a nice location. Right outside an exit of Yokohama station, I would definitely recommend this hotel. The rooms are very comfortable with very nice air conditioning and also very convenient features scattered around the hotel. The beds vere nice and comfy. It has cables on the bedside table, in case you need a spare. The staff are very nice and helped us with our problems. Amenity wise, really nice. Came with a sekkeisi MYV kit, that was nice.

New hotel in good location, near shops, restaurants and station with beautiful view over a park and the harbour.Yokohama can be explored by walking to the highlights of the harbour and Chinatown. Rooms quiet with good insulation and beautiful views from the roof top terrace where you can have drinks. Club lounge has no free drinks like other GATE hotels.

Across from Yamashita Park and next to the New Grand, the location is excellent. Only a few minutes walk from Motomachi-Chukagai Station. Lots of restaurants and shops nearby including McDonalds which is next door. Stayed in "essential double" which was on a smaller side but has comfy bed and very nice bathroom (separate toilet, rain shower) . Nice amenities including bath salt and moisturizing cream.

Might be felt a bit far from Yokohama main street if you don’t take a taxi, but the beautiful Yamashita Park is right beside the hotel. The bay view from the rooftop terrace is also a great pleasure to enjoy. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staffs were friendly kind and nice. Definitely would love to come back.

Great location, amazing view, clean, updated, enjoyable. We were happy that they were able to provide a crib for our baby. It seemed as if they only had baby cots available, so we were pleasantly surprised when we showed up and they had a crib in the room.

(Translated by Google) This is a very high level in this area. Honestly, I only go here Even if it costs 1,000 yen or 2,000 yen more, the satisfaction level is even higher. It is a place where women will be very satisfied with the full range of amenities. Please have a nice time (Original) このエリアではなかなかのハイレベルです 正直ここしか行きません 1000円2000円高くても満足度はそれ以上に高いです アメニティ充実で女性には大満足の場所です。ナイスな時間をお過ごしください

I would rate it a one but the place does look nice only for a one night stay, other than that I don’t recommend staying more than one night. The staff basically forces you not to stay between 1100-1700 or they charge you almost another $100. They don’t deep clean the room, they don’t even clean the deck I found white bugs all over the bathroom deck just crawling. The customer service was horrible.

(Translated by Google) I visited during the Obon period, and was informed of the special price after entering. I presented the coupon at the reception and applied it, but at 2am I suddenly got an internal message saying that it can't be used during the Obon period. They were asleep! It's a shame that I came all the way from Tokyo and ended up with this result. Normal price 12,000 yen → Special period 25,000 yen I was surprised at how much the price had risen. The sauna was hot and good! Be careful, breakfast is charged!

(Translated by Google) I made a reservation in advance using travel assistance. I was able to stay at a much cheaper price than the regular price of 17,000 \(^o^)/There are two baths in the room. I also bought a souvenir with a discount from Kanagawa Prefecture (*^^*) Since there are many places where you are not allowed to go out, we asked for permission at the front desk and took a taxi and train from here to the Red Brick Warehouse. The cost of going out by car is pretty good considering the parking fee❓However, there are some places you can't usually see by car.
