Balinese restaurant
Warung Babi Guling Pak Malen is a popular spot in Seminyak, Bali, known for serving traditional Indonesian dishes in a relaxed setting. The restaurant's specialty is the famous Balinese suckling pig, which is rubbed with turmeric, stuffed with a spice paste, and roasted on a spit until tender over coconut husks or wood. Despite Indonesia being predominantly Muslim and not consuming pork, Bali's Hindu majority has made Babi Guling a well-known local cuisine.
Amazing place! Love how it feels modern but still keeps the traditional Balinese vibe. The Babi Guling Special blew me away—so many flavors in one bite! The Be Genyol was super tasty too. Easy 5/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Luqman S — Google review
We arrived at this place around 11:40am and it was already quite crowded, with a short queue. The staff took our order and payment first before seating us, which helped streamline the process. Most customers seem to go for the combo set, which includes the restaurant's signature items like crispy pork skin, fried pork belly, and pork liver. However, the portions for each are quite small—just one piece of pork skin, two pieces of pork belly, and one piece of liver, which felt a bit limited. The sauces were a nice addition. The red chili was mild, while the green chili packed more heat and had a great flavour. The fried long bean with pork was a standout dish for me—flavourful and well-cooked—but some of my friends found it too spicy. I wasn’t a fan of the fresh coconut water, as they only serve young coconuts here. It lacked the strong coconut flavour I prefer, and tasted slightly sour and unusual to me. Overall, I can see why this restaurant is popular—the food quality is good, though it didn’t quite blow me away. It’s definitely worth a visit, but it helps to go in with the right expectations.
Ian L — Google review
For authentic Bali food! This is a must try! But try at your own risk! They have flies flying around their displayed food! But none of my friends or myself had any issue. The food is not bad. It’s worth a try. It’s affordable too! Their chilli can be quite spicy so do get some water in case! Don’t get ice in case got Bali belly!

Finally, I tried this famous Babi Guling Pak Malen. As seven stars Google Reviewer I have visited many Babi Guling Restaurant, and I can confirm the taste was good. Ambience deserve 5 stars, i love the sleek modern and clean design, really elevate the Babi Guling Restaurant level into next level - All Babi Guling resto shall follow this to level up this traditional Balinese cuisine. Room for improvement on service (queue) and order-payment management, to be honest I am not a type of queueing for one plate of meal, so may consider add more cashier.
Steven K — Google review
The food 100% perfect!!! But their staff not really welcome, we was asked for help to save the yakult first at the fridge coz we want to take it later after food, but their not even willing to help us but not really matters. And the price quite affordable, so please take your time to try this best local food.
Roseline H — Google review
Wen to Bali past 2 weeks ago Enak!! this restaurant is recommended by the local driver. Is quite poplar among the local and foreigner too. I order their signature dishes. Test good, just the portion is a biz small. Cam and visit on Saturday noon. Can see there was a long queue outside the shop, the staff will serves what you want first in order to make the order faster, need to make payments first before going inside to find a seat. Can see they received many recognized certificates here on the wall.. People here usually will leave after finish dishes...not a place for you to stay long here for chitchat..
Rin Y — Google review
One of the most well-known babi guling place located on Sunset Road. For a popular tourist destination, I still consider their price to be friendly. However, although the taste of their food was great, it isn’t really something to write home about, so I wouldn’t go out if my way to eat it if I’m staying far away.
Noah S — Google review
I can say this is the best babi guling in Bali. the crispy pork is so tasty full of spices and full of flavours. I ordered spesial pisah which comes with more pork meats and separate rice and soup. it's fast serving even though the restaurant is so busy. no need to wait long if you are hungry. price is reasonable and actually much cheaper than the other overhyped babi guling. do yourself a favour and eat babi guling here. no need to look for other places

Restaurant
Rumah Makan Babi Guling Karya Rebo is a popular spot near Ngurah Rai Airport, perfect for savoring Bali's flavors before departing. The crispy fried pork and delectable satay are must-tries. Their menu features a variety of dishes including lawar sayur, kulit babi, suwiran daging, sate babi, samcan, and babi goreng served with warm rice.
The dishes are good. Food came slightly warm, not the typical cold food that u typically get in Bali, suits me better. The spices complement the pork nicely. The pork skin was crispy yet with sufficient fats. The soup was also nicely done and flavour was balanced.
Xiang C — Google review
The food is very delicious and filling. The place got an upgrade since the last time I visited, and it is definitely nicer. It’s more clean and spacious but the layout could be better. Tables are pretty close to eachother and it makes the space feel tight. Overall, I would recommend you going here to get Babi Guling since it’s yummy!
Vania — Google review
The food is superb with so many varieties of preparation of pork from satay to rendang to soup and roasted. The skin also was crunchy and delicious. There is no possibility of getting more soup unless u pay for a 2nd bowl. The drinks there r nice... The coconut iß humongous.
APARA K — Google review
as a balinese, this babi guling is considered as still authentic. since more tourist eat here than locals. the taste is delicious. the soup is not traditional komoh its more into soup. the rest is still good. the sambal also nice since you have option to add it later.
Bagus S — Google review
Famous food among locals with various of choice for nasi babi and any others as resonable prices. Free very very spicy sambal is nice but the way selling small bottle of water of 10,000 is too exploit for me.
MimiC O — Google review
Delicious, generous serving of pork in the babi guling nasi campur. There are air conditioned tables on the second floor and souvenir snacks on the first floor. Perfect for a rest stop before heading to the airport!
Stephanie T — Google review
I came here every time I visit bali, but this time the service was disgustingly bad, waited for 25 mins when all their ingredients are ready to serve. Other guests who came after us got their food delivered in 2 mins after seated. No apologies, no smile, no sorry , just rudeness on their waitresses face, they even deliver other people's food while we have to wait for ours after complaining. Store isn't even packed for something this silly to happen. It's a shame considering this has been my go to place for babi guling in Bali. But it doesnt matter how good your food if your service sucks. Will never come back. -1/10
Bobby W — Google review
Probably my favorite babi guling in Bali. Everything on the dish is excellent (except maybe the sate). Sambal is also all you can eat (it's very spicy). They opened a new location just 10m from the original branch and it's nicer because have ac on the second floor. Must visit for babi guling seekers in Bali

If you're in Ubud and craving a taste of traditional Balinese cuisine, make sure to visit Warung Babi Guling Ibu Oka 3. This popular spot is known for serving babi guling, a flavorful Balinese roasted pig dish that has become a favorite among locals and tourists alike. The succulent meat is prepared using traditional spices and roasting techniques, resulting in a mouth-watering culinary experience.
Super interesting to try this dish. I almost didn’t order the soup cause it was already so hot but would recommend you to order it in the set meal. Taste of the soup was great! The sausage was very spicy, the pig skin was nice and crispy. I also enjoyed the fried meat, the grilled one was ok. It just got way to hot after I finished drinking the soup. A few more ventilators would definitely help. Staring into the forest to eat was a nice touch though!
Stephanie X — Google review
One of the well-known babi guling spots in the Ubud area. The place is slightly hidden inside (need to walk past the narrow aisle), but it’s quite spacious with a nice greenery view. In terms of taste, it didn’t quite hit the mark for me. The spices weren’t as strong and flavorful for my liking. The fried pork were a bit tough (alot), but the meat is tender and plenty. The highlight was definitely the crispy pork skin - BEST I've eaten. If you come too late, the lawar might be sold out and they will replace it with sayur labu. Oh and the soup is similar with sop sayur with carrots and green beans. The price is quite steep (tax included), and fyi they only accept cash payments.
Monica T — Google review
It’s more the full experience and jungle neighborhood for me. Food very good but I miss the earlier days when there was a bit more grit and green banana leaves gave it that extra feel and taste…highly recommend for tourist experience. Loved the papaya juice! But be so careful with the seriously hot and good sambal!
Leah B — Google review
It was really nice food and it’s my first time to enjoy our barbecue cooling that was like pulled pork it’s very soft and very tasty.
최동한 — Google review
We came around 4pm and it was raining hard we had to move table due to the wind. They have spacious seating with many tables and chairs. Perfect for big groups. The babi guling itself wasn't among my favorites, I still can smell the pork from the meat. But the babi guling goreng was so good tho! Be careful, the bumbu was quite spicy compared to other babi guling. Beware if you're not a fan of spicy food.
Weda — Google review
The location is perfect for tourists who's visiting ubud. Which is near to the ubud palace and ubud art Market.vehicles will not reach to the property so you have to walk nearly 250 m. But it is good. The property ambiance is perfect for tourists. One side of the restaurant is facing toward the nature that's great and other side is with a fish pond and birds wich gives a cool atmosphere. We ate food after 3pm so the food was not hot at all. Better the want to heat the dish especially the pork meat, so overall food experience was not so great.

Very good Babi Guling. This outlet number 3 is my favorite. It’s a little hard to find but is actually the home of Ibu Oka. Nestled in a very green area.

Babi Guling Slingsing 'Bu Suci' is a renowned warung in Cepaka, Bali, drawing locals and tourists alike. The stall is famous for its succulent babi guling, a Balinese specialty featuring juicy, spicy, crispy pork. Despite its simplicity and ample parking, it's not overly touristy. While it can get warm during peak hours, service is swift.
Food was really good especially if you’re a fan of spicy food!

Babi Guling Campur tastes delicious. The pig blood sausage is good. The roasted pig skin is crunchy but not the meat, which is a lack of marinated flavour/bland. The meat needs to dip with some sambal. The place is very popular with locals. The place is a bit unhygienic, but if you can overlook them, then enjoy your meal. Bon Appetite 😋

Food is excelent. service is good. great atmosphere for a warung. I ordered nasi pisah with esteh tawar for 50k idr. The babi guling is very juicy and tender with very strong flavor. Theres huge parking lot across the warung.

Slingsing Bu Suci No sate cripsy pork is on the hard side with a mini fried pork ribs. Fried jeroan The nasi is poured with the pork broth Which is sweet and flavorful The lawar is a little spicy . Soft with chopped pork fat and soft bone or ear ? with mild season Served with fried shredded coconut and chili Skin got the thick but cripsy. Overall spicy level 2 Overal 8
KeruPug — Google review
The food is tasty. The parking area is spacious. The servants are helpful. There is only one main dish here, rice with mixed topping that consist of roasted pork, spicy pork (mild spicy for my tongue), and mixed vegetables. If you ask for the non spicy rice, you'll get rice with roasted pork only. So, just like the title, the protein option is only pork. If you are hungry, you can ask for the separate rice and toppings. You also can get the mixed one for a cheaper price. I would come to the restaurant again if I went to the area nearby the restaurant.
JUKIEvolution — Google review
The best Babi Guling joint in Bali! The crispy bits are crisp and mouthwatering savoury. The juicy meat are tender and sweet. All round delicious! Everyone is friendly and helpful, now they have a spacious parking area across the outlet.
Tidar — Google review
One of the best babi guling in bali. The place is simple, with a lot of parking space, i think it isn't a touristy place. When dine in on crowded hour, the place can be a little hot. But thankfully the serving time is pretty quick, so you don't have to wait a long time for your meals. Babi guling itself is very tasty, tender and juicy. Combined with the spices, and vegetables, it is one of the best babi guling in bali. A lot better than many babi guling on the touristy area. And it's not expensive too, around 25k-35k per portion. Must try if you go to bali.
Raymond D — Google review
This Warung is one of the best Babi Guling in Bali. Yummy meats and crunchy skins mixed with Balinese spice plus authentic vegetables lawar. Great for lunch is recommended cause it is not too spicy 🌶️ but you can ask them to add sambal if you need it’s more hot! Affordable price the Only 2.5K each portion you Will get a yummy and delicacy Balinese lunch 👍👍👍

Babi Guling Gung Cung is a small, unassuming restaurant located in the heart of Ubud town, just a short distance from Babi Guling Bu Oka. The eatery offers traditional suckling pork dishes at more affordable prices without compromising on taste. The succulent lean meat is complemented by a rich spice paste and served with chayote and crispy pork gorengan.
Ordered around 10:45am right after they opened and there was a short queue already. Had to be early so that the pork skin (kulit) is guaranteed to be crispy. Taste was really good compared to other Babi Guling I tried in Ubud and Nusa Dua. Ambience was very local and good thing I came early as I was able to get a table with a neighbourhood view 💯 Tip: I was the only tourist around that time and mostly were local customers, which was a good sign
C's E — Google review
Good food and fast service. They dont allow add-on extra crispy skin (but it was in the menu). Long lines when we went there for an early lunch, but most were for takeaway. Second floor has more seats with better lighting
J — Google review
Delicious suckling pig babi guling. So well presented. Comes with crackling and rice and soup. Enjoy the rooftop seating and watch Ubud go by outside. This is a more authentic experience but delicious. The condiment is hot. HOT.
Chris B — Google review
We’d been wanting to try Babi Guling while in Ubud and found this place via Google reviews. If we walked past here on our own it’s not somewhere we would try but I am so so glad we did! They only have 3 menu options and you can sit up on the rooftop and watch the world go by. I’d highly recommend this place if you want to try Babi Guling!! The flavour was great (very spicy) and the soup was to die for!!!!
Teisha M — Google review
It's absolutely tiny and may make you think a few times before entering but the Babi Guling is absolutely amazing. I got the medium portion and good lord, I wish I had gone there more times on my trip. Absolutely delicious and I can still feel the flavour on my tongue when I think of it! Highly recommend it :) it's super local and super delicious! The broth is also divine. I recommend the medium portion because you get both versions of it!
Leanne P — Google review
The place is very authentic. The piggy menu is a soup with meat, a bowl of rice and different piggy parts like cruncy skin, pulled meat, sasusage. As a hungarian the sausage was the best for ke, but in general everything was delicious!
Roli K — Google review
We had our first baby guling at this place and returned 3x because it was too good. The crispy pork skin is amazing. There are so many components in this dish, the complexity is incredible and the flavours are phenomenal. Get the dish with the soup, it adds a plus that you will not regret. It's a whole in the wall type of place but very popular amongst locals. The rooftop seating is fun for a calm lunch. Make sure to go early as they sell out.
Priyanka P — Google review
Babi Guling Gung Cung is a traditional-style warung serving roast hog. While I appreciated the use of banana leaves instead of plates, which added an authentic touch, the experience was a bit underwhelming compared to another nearby babi guling place I had fond memories of, set in a traditional house. We arrived early enough to enjoy a small slice of good, crispy skin—delicious, but unfortunately, extra portions weren’t available to order. While the food was tasty, it wasn’t particularly spectacular. The main drawback was the hygiene. The toilet was not very clean, and there was no handwashing liquid available, which is a significant miss in terms of overall experience. Improving hygiene practices would make the visit much more enjoyable. Overall, it’s a decent spot, but there’s room for improvement, especially in cleanliness and customer experience.

Warung Babi Guling Bu Dayu Kencani is a popular spot in Bali known for its delicious and authentic Balinese pork dishes. The atmosphere is lively, but the seating may be a bit crowded. Despite this, the service is quick, ensuring you won't have to wait long for your meal. The babi guling here has a spicy kick but doesn't overpower the natural flavors of the dish.
Best babi in town. Recommended by few locals, never disappoint. Had a mix with various types of pork preparations such as skewers, skin, and some others that I can't name. Everything was tasty, and both the green chili and the spicy sambal were amazing. However our favorite are the skewers. It was served with a tasty spicy broth with potatoes.

Pretty good mixed rice with pork. Pork is tasty and the satay is the highlight. Make sure you can eat spicy as this is quite spicy. The other trick is instead of just order, order with a set of money that you want to pay so they don't overcharge you.
Reynaldi H — Google review
One of the higher rating stores hence we decided to try it. Maybe because we were tourist that we could feel the reluctancy of serving us. Food wise, the babi guling was juicy and easy to breakdown. The skin was crispy even though it was hot. Satay was great though a little tough. Overall, a great experience

I bought the complete Babi Guling set for 45,000 IDR and it was "mantap!" (awesome). The taste was delicious and I loved the savory saltiness. It's a complete package with crispy meat, rambak, and sate. Very tasty and great value for money. Highly satisfying meal!

a very simple looking warung, crowded, but the services were fast and efficient. i didn’t expect the food was so delicious. looks simple but then the flavour bursts in my mouth. mind blowing especially the pork crispy chips. will repeat again if i comeback to bali

Ordered via app. It has a rating of 4.9 stars with over 900 orders. Delivery was fast. Earlier than expected. Food arrived hot and was eaten upon arrival. Normal portion was huge. The pork was well seasoned though it wasn't crispy. Overall its a bit too dry. The vegetables that came with it was dry but it was extremely spicy. Avoid eating the chilli to minimise the heat. The crispy pork was the best. Crispy and flavourful.

first food when arriving in Indonesia. hahahahaha.. ordered twice via the application. The first order took a long time to wait then was canceled. Babi Guling Sari Kembar 99 is a local restaurant located in Denpasar, Bali, known for its delicious Babi Guling, a traditional Balinese dish. The menu offers options to cater to different tastes, such as crispy pork skin and sweet and spicy pork satay. While the restaurant may not meet western standards in terms of facilities and decor, it is highly recommended for its affordable and flavorful food. Visitors can enjoy a variety of side dishes along with the main meal.
One of the local favourite bigul in town, you’ll see many local Balinese for dining and takeaway - which is always a good sign of good food at affordable price. Topped with generous portion of delicious Babi guling, crispy skin, crispy Daging merah, dendeng and lawar with a side of balung soup. We ordered the two different size: biasa (25k) and komplit (45k) which the only difference is you get more portion of meat - but you get the same items. However, please note like all Babi guling it is not the safest or most hygienic food so please eat at your own risk.

As one of the babi guling warongs recommeded by many tourists, I didn't really think the meal was a hidden gem or something. It's mediocre: not amazingly good but still not bad. The price was really good, as normally you spend a lot more in a more tourist-friendly restaurant. Still, it's good to try!

The menu is the same nasi campur but the fillings is different everytime i come here. The good thing is they never failed.

Enak sekali, say no more! Best Babi guling I've had in Bali so far and it's going to take some beating. Local warung.
Andrew F — Google review
This place is a hidden gem introduced by our local driver. The spice was stronger than the usual Babi Guling places with more side dishes compared to the already commercialized places. The meal was fantastic while the place is still traditional went there with 2 young kids and they have no problem customizing the meal for them. They also have ayam betutu for those who wants other than pork option.
Victor S — Google review
Gojek delivery to my hotel. Simple and tasty roasted suckling pig. The standard portion offers a selection of various parts - skin, fat, lean meat, pickles, rice and sambal. Worth a try, and no need to get there to enjoy it with delivery service.
Alexandre B — Google review
So our local driver took us here, off the beaten track, because we asked him to take us somewhere local. The food was quite interesting. To be honest, it wasn’t that special. We were just super hungry so we ate everything. We ordered the main dish with everything on it. I think it was basically different parts of the pig including the meat, stomach, liver and a crispy skin slice on top with a side portion of papaya (?) salad. Our meal also came with soup…. I don’t know. I’m Asian but I felt that Indonesian food in general is just ok. It’s their sauces and sambal that really stand out

One of the best Babi Guling restaurants in the Munggu area, I always order the Babi Guling Campur, usually served with Kuah Balung Babi. The combination is just perfect and tastes amazing to me! I find the price quite affordable for a fairly large portion. The place is comfortable because the restaurant is surrounded by lots of greenery also they have doggo, and a seating spot with a view of the rice fields.

Amazing local food place. Only babi guling and relevant food to come with BUT they are amazing with very very cheap price. Love it so much. We also enjoyed their ice cream, orange juice and yakult.

Babi Guling Jero Kawan is a hidden gem that delivers incredible value without compromising on flavor. Their succulent lemongrass pork is the standout—beautifully marinated, tender, and bursting with aromatic spice. It’s clear they take pride in their cooking, as each bite feels both comforting and carefully crafted. Portions are generous, which makes their already very affordable prices even more impressive. If you’re someone who appreciates getting your money’s worth without skimping on quality, this spot is a must-visit. An added bonus: they offer extra plates of meat, perfect for sharing or for those who just can’t get enough. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, Babi Juling is the kind of place that makes you feel right at home. Honest food, hearty servings, and warm service—this is what great local dining is all about. Dewa was really friendly and our family enjoyed their first Balinese meal there.

This is the second time I'm here and the Babi Guling is great, every component compliments each other and the soup was really nice too. The place was nice, it felt very local, and the service was pretty nice too.

If you’re into babi guling, this spot is a must. The flavor is rich, the portion is just right, and the Bali Guling + Bintang Radler combo makes it even better for the price. Totally worth it! ✨️

Price: very affordable, 35k for the regular bigul + drink Taste: you can taste the spice well in the bigul. Perhaps not as strong as some like Pande Egi, but it still tastes great. Appreciate the chili pickles, which you don't find it often Atmosphere: no bullshit kind of place, it's a place to eat and just enjoy bigul, nothing more

If you find yourself in Denpasar, make sure to stop by Babi Guling Candra, a beloved eatery that opens its doors as early as 5 AM! This spot is a favorite among locals and tourists alike, known for serving up the iconic Balinese dish of roast pork. The experience of indulging in Babi Guling at dawn is truly unique.
Nothing special about the place, so you can focus on the food itself 😁. Value for money if you look at how big the portion is. The taste was very original Balinese Pork Dishes, all food cooked perfectly, taste still the same at least since 10 years ago, the first time i try this.

Good portions and amazing taste! The pork was a bit too dry
Nidyati — Google review
Wanted to eat some Babi Guling at night and came here after hearing some recommendations. Came here at about 8pm. Honestly, I would like to come here again in the day because the pork has already been prepared, unlike the daytime ones where it is fresh out from the fire. The pork skin is not as crispy, and it's a little cold. Also, the pricing is a bit on the middle range. I like how the dish is prepared as a small variety in a plate. There is an array of different ways the pork is prepared, and innards such as fried lung and intestine we're also given. Most of the items here are deep fried, or stir fried & grilled. My personal favourites on this plate were the pork cackling skin, pork skewers, and the sambal with the sweet potato leaves. The skewers were so good we ordered extra. I rate: 4/5 🌟 To pair with the dish, rice with another sambal is given, with a small piping small hot bowl of peppery pork soup.

This used to be my favorite Babi Guling restaurant for many many years. Today was a disappointment, the meat was tough, dry and very boney. I ordered 3 extra meat and they were all disappointing. They moved back to the old location but the place is still very unpresentable and has portable toilet. We will try a different bigul restaurant next time we visit Bali.

The old place sadly burnt down, but the new "tent" is actually better, IMO. Airier and less dark. It always used to be heaving before the covid fiasco but it wasn't busy at all when we went there. Our go-to place for Babi Guling when we are in the area 👍

The taste is not like before, pork skin is not crispy anymore at dinner time. Time to changed my preference of Bigul resto now

If you're in Bali, Babi Guling Chandra is a must-visit spot to savor one of the island's most famous and delicious dishes Babi Guling Chandra is a renowned restaurant in Bali, Indonesia, famous for its traditional Balinese dish, Babi Guling. Babi Guling is a Balinese-style roast pig that is a must-try for anyone visiting the island However, that time I visit this please at late night around 8-9 pm,the meat is a little bit cold and a little bit hard to bite.. Fortunately the sambal, soup, and their sauce is still delicious. Their service is fast and punctual.,and the most interesting part is they have customized menu based on ur money. I recommend this place and please come within the working hour ya..

Good satay, slightly pricey but loads of chilli and really meaty but tender and flavourful! Family is a big fan of the pepes babi guling as well, great to bring home a piece of bali. Can ask the shop to wrap the pepes in aluminium foil so that you can travel with the food.

Warung Babi Guling Pande Egi is a popular spot for enjoying roast pork in Bali. The open-air eatery offers a chill and spacious ambiance with terrace seating and views of rice paddies. Despite its small size, the place is well-known for serving unforgettable food. Their suckling pig is considered one of the top five in Bali, featuring crispy skin and tender, flavorful meat. The restaurant can get crowded during lunchtime due to its popularity, but the wait is worth it.
I had the chance to visit Warung Babi Guling Pande Egi in Gianyar, Bali, and it was an unforgettable experience. Tucked away on the way from main road to Ubud this warung is a gem surrounded by lush rice fields, offering a serene backdrop that instantly sets a relaxed vibe. The open-air dining area is spacious, clean, and modern yet retains a traditional Balinese charm—perfect for soaking in the cool breeze while enjoying a meal. I arrived around 11.30 am, and the place was buzzing with locals and tourists alike, a testament to its popularity. Despite the crowd, the staff was incredibly efficient, using electric buzzers to manage the waitlist, which kept things organized. I was seated almost immediately with a stunning view of the rice paddies. I ordered the **Nasi Babi Guling Jumbo** (IDR 38,000, roughly $2.50 USD), which came loaded with tender suckling pig, crispy pork skin, pork sausage, lawar (a traditional Balinese vegetable mix), pork satay, and a savory pork soup. The pork was melt-in-your-mouth soft, with a smoky, well-spiced flavor, and the skin was perfectly crackly. The sambal matah added a fresh, spicy kick that tied everything together. I also tried their “es daluman”, a refreshing dessert beverage of mixed grass jelly in coconut milk and palm sugar, which was a great palate cleanser. The service was friendly and professional, even with the hectic pace. The warung has clearly evolved since its early days as a small local spot in 2016, now boasting a larger space and extras like coffee and Balinese “jajanan pasar” (local cakes and desserts). I noticed a group next to me order a whole roasted pig for takeout, which looked impressive and apparently feeds 6-12 people for around $120 AUD. My only minor gripe was the wait time during busy hours (noon), but the food and ambiance made it worthwhile. If you’re planning a visit, I’d recommend arriving early (before noon) to beat the rush or catching the sunset for an even more picturesque experience. Warung Babi Guling Pande Egi lives up to its legendary status as one of Bali’s best babi guling spots—highly recommended for anyone craving authentic Balinese cuisine in a beautiful settings and local price! Worthy note: Pande in Balinese = craftsmen Him/his family line previously probably metal craftsmen

Recommended to us by a local, this spot offered a pleasant experience overall. The food was fairly average—I tried the daily special along with chicken and rice, which were decent but nothing particularly memorable. Service was friendly and efficient, which made the visit easy and enjoyable. The real highlight was the setting, with a beautiful view overlooking the rice paddies.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great local spot with plenty of options! The food was really good — I tried the babi guling, fried banana, and sweet soup, and all were delicious. Warung Nasi Babi Guling Men Agus is a popular spot in the Canggu - Tanah Lot area, known for its delicious babi guling at a reasonable price. It's more frequented by locals and offers a satisfying meal for around 35-40K per person. The babi guling is similar to Pak Malen's but with fewer condiments, crispy pork skin, and spicier sambal.
This is a great place to experience authentic Indonesian food, without the risk of street food. Very clean. Very nice people.

In my opinion, this is one of the best bigul in the Canggu - Tanah Lot area. It is more popular with locals than tourists, and the price is very reasonable, around 35-40K per person. The bigul is similar to Pak Malen's, but with fewer condiments, crispier pork skin, and a spicier sambal. The soup is served with ares. The restaurant is quite spacious and can accommodate more than 50 people. In my opinion, it was better a few years ago than it is now, in terms of portion size and price, but it is still one of the best in the area and tastier than Men L***.

Satay Rp5000 each pricey. Taste 6/10. Babi guling 6/10. Will pass.

One of the best babi guling place in Canggu. Not as touristy as the one across it, cheaper (35k for mixed rice), and definitely not as spicy. The taste matched my preference. Would recommend this to anyone.

Came here for lunch on my mission to eat all babi guling here。menu was easy with either campur or pisah option which is together with rice or separate, portions don't seem to differ that much? Order came, I think highlight is the soup very tasteful and the pork skin is good but rest is tad boring the other meat supposingly be crispy aren't and the main meat too dry. Will give this a pass again. Also not the cheapest for what it is.
Jeremy T — Google review
Service was ok, bigul was ok, price is cheap when compared to some other bigul. Their soup was very very good.

A babi guling joint frequented largely by locals. Tried it as was on the way to Uluwatu. Restaurant set up was simple. Non air conditioned and back faces the padi field. Tables were sparesely laid out and felt quitr comfortable given the well ventilation by fans and natural breeze. The babi guling rice was different from Ibu Oka. Pork is similar in texture but the sauce was different. I prefer Ibu Oka against this. Made a side order of pork skin and it was hard as with Ibu Oka's version. Much prefer the goreng version which is crispy. Price wise is about 45% lower vs Ibu Oka (Rp30k vs Rp55k).

I went there because there were many positive reviews, but it wasn't tasty. It seemed like they charged a bit more for tourists. Both receptionists had to check with the mother every time to find out the price. The mother never smiled and was rude.

Warung Babi Guling Sari Dewi Bp. Dobil is a must-visit in Bali for its famous Babi Guling, a staple in the locals' daily menu. The queue can be long, so patience is key, but the food is worth it. Whether dining in or taking away, payment is made upfront and bringing your own container is recommended as they don't provide plastic bags. Parking can be challenging during peak hours.
Best bigul spot in Bali! Perfectly balanced sambal (not too aromatic), juicy pork, and rich, moist, layered flavor. Will absolutely come back! ❤️
Sherli J — Google review
We were really looking forward to trying this babi guling spot in Nusa Dua, which came recommended by our hotel. It’s one of those roadside local stalls that promises an authentic experience. We ordered three jumbo set meals, along with one extra serving of pork skin and fried pork fritters (we were told that was the maximum allowed for add-ons). The meal was a mix of hits and misses. The standout was definitely the fried pork fritters — crispy, flavorful, and addictive. However, the pork skin wasn’t as crispy as we had hoped and was quite tough to bite through. The pork meat itself was rather dry and lacked the juiciness we were expecting from a good babi guling. There was no proper queue system in place, so we had to hover and wait around to get a table. The dining environment was also very hot and humid, and we ended up sweating through the entire meal. Overall, it was an interesting local experience, but the food didn’t quite live up to the hype for us.

Babi Guling at Warung Babi Guling Sari Dewi Bp. Dobil was acceptable and reasonably priced for the location. One thing to keep in mind: the food is very spicy, and this is not indicated on the menu. If you’re sensitive to spice, it’s a good idea to ask the staff for recommendations or request a milder option. The experience is authentic, but be prepared!

Always came to this place every time i visit Bali. The taste always delicious but they need to change the operational hours because they said 4pm (the google said 5pm)
Christopher M — Google review
Best babi guling spot in south Bali. Not too spicy but very flavorful and aromatic. Since it is a popular place for babi guling, don't expect to sit down immediately, or to have your food served fast. Service wise, it is a warung so you can't expect a 5 star dining experience. But was is an experience dining here is the friendly dogs, aromatic smoke from the pork being roasted and the overall balinese local food experience. Might be pricy for a babiguling but the portion size was generous and cmon, it is a tourist place with lots of staff, it would be a bit more pricy.
Marvella E — Google review
The food at Babi Guling Pak Dobil was genuinely delicious, and it's clear why the place is so popular. We understood the long wait, which was over an hour for our food to arrive, as the restaurant was incredibly busy. We were happy to be patient for what we knew would be a great meal. However, the wonderful taste of the food was overshadowed by the very poor service we received. The staff, particularly a male server, was incredibly rude. Given how hot the weather was, we simply asked if our drinks could be brought out first while we waited for our food. This simple request was met with a surprisingly surly attitude. While the babi guling itself is fantastic, the unpleasant service is a major concern. It's disappointing when a restaurant with such delicious food is let down by its staff's behavior. Because of the rude service, I would have to think twice before returning, despite how much I enjoyed the meal.

This eatery, found in the southern area of Kuta or Jimbaran, offers an array of delicious elements on its plate, alongside the flavorful babi guling and lawar. The flavors are incredible and the food is regarded as better than other famous places like Ibu Oka.
The aromatic spices are rustic & creat delicious, homey meal. This thick, harty soup is so warming & savory, pure comforting food and their sate is not so sweet but packed with flavors too.The staffs are also humble.

This is the 3rd Babi Guling I had tried so far. To be fair, for 50k you get a fairly big serving of pork, sausage, crispy skin other spices condiments, as compared to the 25k stalls. Not forgetting a bowl of spiced rich pork broth with banana stems(interesting). I paid another 50k for a package of extra pork meat + skin. Taste is very pretty good, ambience not at all, parking is a problem if you drive.
Richard L — Google review
The portions of the food is enough for 50k but the way they serve food is not to my liking, they serve the food bare handed. There are other babi guling warungs that serve better tasting babi guling for the same or lower price. And youll be comfortable enough to eat because they serve the food with plastics covering their hands. If youre local then maybe youll be comfortable go eat it here.
Kimson C — Google review
Not sure what the hype is about this place was charged 50k for the Babi guling. The pork skin wasn’t crispy it was soft which let the whole dish down the whole dish was cold as well. I went to the toilet & saw the kitchen at the back & looked very unhygienic. My friend got sick after eating also. I’ve had cheaper & far better quality. The guy who served us was friendly though, that’s probably the only thing that was good about this place unfortunately or maybe we came on an off day where the food wasn’t good, either way I won’t be trying it again.

The most delicious suckling pig in Bali, located in an alley on the outskirts of Denpasar, provides an unusual eating experience, namely eating at a local resident's house, in the guest room, hallway and in the yard. The taste of the suckling pig is delicious, slightly spicy and there is a lot of filling, one special portion is probably enough for 2 people

This is Babi Guling what about.. The taste, the spice, the portion, the price and last but not least the Balung soup is the best. Yes the place is not to comfort, especially if you come for lunch maybe need to wait to seated. I recommend using a motorcycle because it is located in the middle of the aisle. Still the best for me.

While it might not be the top babi guling spot in town, the portions are generous. There's a variety of meat choices and the soup is tasty. The standout feature is the service – during a crowded lunchtime visit, the staff went out of their way to find us a comfortable seat to wait. The price is reasonable, but due to its location in a small alley, parking can be a bit tricky. I'd suggest avoiding peak hours if you plan to visit.

Nestled in the heart of Denpasar, Warung Babi Guling Penatih I Nyoman Siring is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Balinese cuisine. This humble eatery specializes in Babi Guling, a traditional roast pork dish that has captured the hearts of locals and visitors alike. The star attraction here is undoubtedly the perfectly roasted pork, boasting a golden-brown crispiness that gives way to tender meat with every bite.
One of the babi guling that I personally like it, been here for years Babi Guling, the pork and sauce very tasty. Lawar also delicious, urutan/sausage i find it tasty and the soup more flavourful than other babi guling soup. Others topping just passable. Portion is inconsistent, Tip for the portion, if the owner likes you, you probably get bigger portion. Taste sometimes inconsistent, it makes you wonder if they change the recipe. Services don’t expect too much, sometimes you get a nice treatment sometimes the opposite. Overall, price for babi guling is standard, portion is highly inconsistent, taste is also inconsistent but I still like it. Came back here because the food is good, no other else. Personal rating for the taste of this babi guling 9.5/10

The Star of the Show - Babi Guling The roast pork arrives on a separate platter, perfectly crisped to golden-brown perfection. Each bite offers the quintessential crunch of the crackling followed by tender, flavorful meat. The seasoning—an aromatic blend of spices—is well-balanced, giving the pork a fragrant kick without overwhelming its natural flavor. The place is humble but it’s an experience. The portion size is generous, ensuring you leave fully satisfied. The separate serving of the pork is a thoughtful touch, allowing you to appreciate its quality and preparation. Whether you’re new to Babi Guling or a seasoned fan, this rendition will leave you impressed. Yummy!

The last time I visited (early July 2025) it felt less spicy, maybe I have developed some kind of superpower because chili is usually my kryptonite. A small parking area for cars and motorcycle. Open early at 7.30. We always bring our friends here and they all like it.

I found their roasted pork tasteful. But the best for me is their “lawar” which is chopped vegetables with grated coconut and soup which is basically pork broth but in this case it is topped with the fine sliced of the banana tree core.

Still the best Babi Guling in Bali wih natural Bali spice and the soup with banana stem. Prices are reasonable.

The legendary "Babi Guling" in penatih. The taste so delicious and the soup make a good combination for the whole food. The soup made from banana trunk tree (in Balinese it called ARES )

Pelayanan pada peak hour sudah tidak sebagus dulu. Pelanggan take-out dibiarkan mengantri berpanas-panasan sambil menunggu nasinya matang. It still tastes the same, with the same price. But the service quality fell compared to the past. —edit: I wrote bad review about a year ago, but nowadays the quality has improved to acceptable level. I must say I'm impressed, and I hope at least they can maintain the same level of taste and service in the future.

Babi Guling Nadi Jaya is a renowned Balinese dish featuring crispy suckling pig with tender meat, available in various restaurants across Bali. The legendary taste of this authentic dish can be found on almost every Balinese restaurant menu, and there are even a few 24-hour suckling pig restaurants in the Kuta area. This flavorful dish includes a variety of meats such as crispy skin, pork crisps, and crispy pig intestines served with rice.
The food is spicy but for some reasons I find it so irresistible. I only find locals in the restaurant. The food was prepared by a grandma. The customer service was exceptional even though I could barely communicate with the staff but they can understandwhat i was asking for. I would love to come back and try again.

The soup has a spicy kick to it, definitely the star of the show. I love the variety of pork in the babi guling. I'd come here again!

The first bigul aka babi guling I had after coming to Bali. Still my top after trying 2 other places. Why do I like this shop’s bigul? A few reason. 1. Variety in pork cuts (meat and innards) as well as preparation method 2. The sauce / kuah that was drizzled on the rice complimented the dish 3. Sambal matah / mentah was perfectly spicy 4. The soup provided on the side went really well. The meat chunks (which looked like chicken) was tender too I was initially hesitant and unsure how I was going to finish this on my own and I planned to pass the remainder to my trusty food vacuum—my boyfriend. So I was truly surprised that I finished the plate and all too quickly. Prices are super reasonable as well. 35k rupiah for my plate of bigul. Truly, what’s not to like? Update: Came back for the 2nd time and yeap, this is still my favourite bigul place 🤩

Great spicy Babi Guling with different variety of meats: crispy skin, pork “crisps”, crispy pig intestines, meat and rice. The dish was spicy and also a soup with pork and radish was spicy and refreshing. Very good price, only 35000 rp. My only negative thing is that the lady that was assembling this dish, was doing that with her bear hands. So, if hygiene is not an issue for you, I would definitely recommend this place.

I always eating here everytime coming to Bali. It's delicious suckling pig mixed rice and soup little bit spicy and i will recommended you to try it. It's famous for balinesse people and not many tourists know it.

Well, there are many babi guling warong in Bali, and this stall still remain as one of my top babi guling stalls list in Kuta. Food are tasty, skin and other fried stuff are fresh and crispy. It might not be the best in town but for sure this place serve awesome comfort food. Try to be there before 3pm...

Nasi Guling Nadi Jaya Kuta Bali November 2019 Nasi campur komplit for 35 K IDR Now this isn't the best thing ever, but at what seems to be the going rate for nasi babi guling in Bali, this really is more than worth the it. The best thing on this plate hands down is the sate lilit, but really overall most of the components are better than average. Even the soup was surprisingly good. Sure you can add a bit of pepper to really elevate it, but it really is the freshest soup of this kind i have had. Even the sambal is so good considering it's probably the least oily sambal i have had around these parts. Their crackling is really crunchy and tasty with a sufficient amount of smokiness. I really enjoy how dry it is, but i guess it really could use a bit of refinement in terms of pre frying prep to really make it the best crunchy crackling. Subsequently, i really appreciate that they didn't serve any plain white meat, but rather they had the meat doused in a sambal which seems to have a bit of tomato in it so the meat really is quite flavourful and juicy. So yeah, if you're ever in this rather touristy area, this side alley eatery is quite a good deal. Do give it a try. #goodfood #goodvalue #worthit

Nestled in the heart of Bali, Warung Babi Guling Bu Ning is a charming eatery that offers an authentic taste of regional cuisine, particularly known for its delectable suckling pork dishes. Unlike many other places, this warung elevates the traditional balung broth to star status, claiming it to be the best around. Diners rave about the flavorful sides and generous portions of fresh vegetables that accompany their meals.
They serve amazing Babi guling. Everything was absolutely delectable and I’ll be coming everyday. I have a high tolerance to spice and chilli so if you don’t maybe recommend them to not add any to your plate.
Vick — Google review
Not as good as I expected or as hyped up as I’d heard. The sate was cold and a bit hard, the babi guling was okay but nothing special. It’s worth trying once, but it doesn’t compare to my top two babi guling spots in Bali. Parking is available, the prices aren’t exactly cheap, but the service is fast, and the place is clean.
Inka P — Google review
#honestreview I ordered the special babi guling menu for Rp 60,000. In my opinion, it’s a bit pricey considering the portion wasn’t very generous. The taste was okay—more on the salty and slightly spicy side. The crispy pork and the kuah balung (bone broth) were the highlights. The sate was tasty too, but unfortunately, it was already cold, as was the pork skin. My suggestion would be to keep the rice warm and adjust the portion of the side dishes to better match the price. Also, I’m not sure what the name of the lady at the cashier was, but I hope she can be a bit friendlier when customers are making payments :) Overall, 7 out of 10
Claudia — Google review
Came here after seeing the numerous reviews on Google for nasi campur babi guling in kuta area. Spent Rp 50.000 for a portion of nasi campur babi guling biasa and mineral water. In my opinion, the normal portion (biasa) is enough for the ladies. But if you're looking to share, the larger portion (komplit) might be more suitable. The normal portion is still ok. The clear soup tastes great! Overall the meat cuts are juicy. But to me, their seasoned pork satay failed as the meat is super hard to chew. Saw another customer from other table also found it hard to chew. Hope they can improve, as their other cuts are ok (some are even very juicy!). Pricewise, Babi Guling Bu Ning offers a good meal with lower price tag (compared to the other 'branded' nasi campur/babi guling). Note that they only accept cash, bank transfer, and card (no QR payment). Parking and seatings are quite spacious.

Overhyped. Went for dinner and the Food serving was DRY. (Photos speaks for itself) We asked the staff if it was cooked fresh, but the staff honestly said that they only serve what what was cooked from the morning , they did not even care to re-heat it before serving. We lost our appetite and had to find another restaurant to recover from our disappointment.

Super like their kerupuk kulit. Overall taste of Nasi Campur is delicious. Not too spicy yet still run your nose wet. Not queuein at all, nice ambience and good service, and clean toilet. Price of Nasi Campur is 45K But for bigger portion, its 65k Hot soup is included, very tasty

Warung Babi Guling Ibu Oka 2 is a renowned eatery in Ubud, Bali, celebrated for its Babi Guling, a traditional Balinese dish of roast suckling pig. The succulent pork is freshly cooked multiple times daily and served with aromatic rice, crispy crackling skin, and flavorful spices. The affordable meal also includes sambal, a chili sauce with freshly diced herbs.
Good Indonesian comfort food at a great value. The babi guling was very flavorful, along with the crispy skin. The fried pork dish was surprisingly nice as well. Good stop on the way back to Seminyak from Ubud.

Recently, we visited this restaurant on the recommendation of our tour guide—just a day after trying Warung Babi Guling Pande Egi—which made it the perfect chance to compare the two. This time, we ordered the Babi Guling (without the soup, since it’s not really our preference) along with a side of crispy pork skin. The flavors here were spot on: the roasted pork was savory and well-seasoned, and everything came together beautifully with the lawar. The pork skin added that extra crunch, making the meal even more satisfying. Overall, I’d say the taste here edges out the other place we tried. If you’re in Gianyar, Bali, this spot is definitely worth a visit for an authentic and delicious Babi Guling experience.
Dimas W — Google review
It’s still the best babi guling around. However the setting of the original place is so much nicer. We went for the food. The traffic was too bad and we couldn’t reach Ubud, so we settled for Ibu Oka 2. The portions were generous, the food was good and fresh. And proper fresh pressed orange juice.
Helen B — Google review
We visited Warung Babi Guling Ibu Oka 2 during our trip to Ubud and it truly lived up to the hype. The roasted pig was incredibly crispy on the outside and tender inside, full of rich Balinese spices. The set meal came with rice, spicy sambal, blood sausage, and vegetables, flavorful and satisfying. It’s a casual, local-style eatery with quick service. Go early, as the best parts like the crackling skin sell out fast. A must-try spot for authentic Balinese food lovers! 2 🌟 - Below Average: Needs improvement in multiple areas, not meeting expectations. 3 🌟 - Standard, Average: Meets basic expectations, nothing exceptional but acceptable. 4 🌟 - Standard, Above Average: Exceeds expectations slightly, better than the norm. 5 🌟 - Special & Unique: Outstanding experience, highly memorable and exceptional.

Just like many tourists, we were bought here by our guide instead of original babi guling place we wanted to go to. However, it is ok because the food was good and came out quick, allowing us to quickly get to other sightseeing place. Opens very early, the food was really good, and the herbs were all fantastic. Very aromatic, the meat is very tender and nice. The satay lilit was super delicious I would grab it again for another bite. The place is very open and a very comfy place. Some sofa sittings. Pork skin is Crunchy, and the toppings are amazing. Jero Kawan spot is great to hang out, they have a big area for you go sit around and enjoy the natural feeling in the middle of the city. That’s the only thing they have going though, since the food itself is standard for a spit roast pork place. It can tough to beat the competition right across the street, but they should go with more flavour instead a lighter bite that they currently have.
Andre B — Google review
The suckling pig is not edible at all! Not only just chewy but worst, cannot bite through. Everything is cold. Only the soup is hot but very very oily. The fried pork looks like yesterday’s leftover.. worst meal in Bali… unacceptable. If the kitchen is not ready to serve a good meal please dun serve it.

There are two variants of Babi Guling: one with Base Genep (a richer taste with more spices) and Sere Limo (spicy, yet fresher, with acidity from lime). The pork satay is also top-notch. It's a perfect combination of sweetness and spice. It's worth a visit!

Prices are a steal starting at Rp25k per portion, and the spot's cozy, open-air vibe near the offices made it perfect for a quick lunch. One of the best babi guling spots I’ve found in Bali so far! Every component hit the mark—from the pork, satay, and chicken to the crackers, hekeng, and sambal. Flavorful and satisfying all around. At first, I was a bit confused why no one was sitting down to eat—but turns out, you need to order first at the counter before taking a seat. A small sign or clearer instructions could really improve the flow. Still, a fantastic meal and well worth the visit!

Tasty and affordable! The flavor is really good, and the price is still reasonable. The place is clean and comfortable, with friendly service. It’s located by the roadside, but a bit easy to miss if you're not paying attention. Parking is available, though not very spacious. The portion size is just right — not too much, not too little — and the rice they use is red rice, which makes it feel a bit healthier. Definitely worth a visit😆

Absolutely enjoyed the pork cracklings, pork skin, roast pork, nasi goreng babi (pork fried rice) and sate babi (pork skewers). This is one of the best babi guling spots in Denpasar. I’ve been a loyal customer since their shop was still small—back when a normal portion cost only IDR 10,000. Now, it’s IDR 25,000, but still worth it for the taste. They also have spicy noodles, but personally, they’re not my favorite—the flavor doesn’t really suit my taste, and the sausage in the noodles isn’t great. Their true specialty is the babi guling, and it’s the best I’ve had. One downside is their inconsistency. Sometimes it’s incredibly delicious, sometimes just average; sometimes very spicy, sometimes not at all. I really hope they work on consistency, because when they get it right, it’s truly the best babi guling experience. — Reviewed by @jan.cht #ReviewedByDrJan #BabiGulingBali #BabiGulingDenpasar #BaliFoodReview #LocalGuideReview #JCMapsTips

Or you can have it as kids portion where no spices added just the rice with the pork meat. The price is 25K for the normal portion and 20K fpr the kids meal version.

Enak banget makanannya. My family and I love coming here after a long drive. The food is so savoury and spicy and just the right portion for one. The es jeruk is a must as well. Perfect after a meal like that

The first restaurant we tried once we arrived in Ubud and it did not disappoint. The food was absolutely delicious yet very affordable. They only have 3 things on their menu: mixed pork rice, mixed chicken rice, and mixed "vegetarian" rice; perfect for indecisive people like us. Each chicken/pork variety in each dish was so flavorful yet complemented each other somehow. We also tried the es jamur; an iced mushroom tea that's similar to kombucha. It became my partner's favorite and ordered it every time we ate there. The shop may not look like much from the outside but they have these beautiful and peaceful dining area in the temples inside.

This warung is an institution for locals. Specialising in mixed nasi campur, and its a winner! Spicy, but traditional. Good selection served, but sausage is outstanding. Sit out the back, beautiful garden area & you're miles away from the hectic street.

Babi Guling Bu Ari is a popular eatery located in Payangan, north of Ubud. Due to its growing popularity, the owner, Ibu Ari, expanded the venue to a larger location closer to town. The restaurant offers exceptional babi guling and is also known for its special version of lawar. Visitors can easily spot the place by heading north from the Arjuna statue towards Tegalalang.
Delicious pork, good portion, helpful staff (with google translate), pretty clean place, plenty of parking for scooters but on the main busy road. Napkins available, and lots of water for purchase.

Worth the money 30k, side dishes are very…too… spicy to a Taiwanese like me, but pork and all the fried things are tasty together with rice.

This babi guling plate was an absolute flavor bomb, every bite hit with bold spices and rich textures. The crispy pork skin is absolute perfection. The meat was tender, juicy, and soaked in all that delicious Balinese seasoning. If you’re in Ubud and craving something local and legendary, this is the one to try!

The food was amazing. We weren’t planning to stop here but we saw pork on our way back and took a u turn your taste. The menu is amazing. Just 2 items to eat here. I think they know what they are doing. Food was delicious we took the special plate. Highly recommend for pork lovers

Don't expect much on the ambiance when you come here. But trying babi guling dish should definitely be experienced by tourists who come to Bali and eat pork. It's an authentic restaurant where locals go for their Babi Guling. The food is good, I didn't have Bali belly so its safe as the food is prepared daily. And the best part is you get to mingle with the locals and really experienced how they are as opposed to those locals in the service industry who keep a protective wall around them, who probably have had enough of abusive tourists. Don't expect much about the place. They have a small menu, it's inexpensive and safe. Unlike other places serving babi guling, this restaurant is open til 8pm. I recommend this place to those who want to experience a local Balinese dish for non muslims.

Came here with my private driver based on his recommendation, and what a remarkably great find it was. Fantastic Babi Guling and the side dishes were also very tasty. Prices were very reasonable, though since prices are not mentioned on any menus, perhaps we only got such great prices because my driver didn't let them over charge us as tourists. Definitely worth a visit if you want to try true authentic Balinese food!

Super first try of babi guling. Whilst travelling around over the last few days, I had noticed the golden pigs in glass cabinets, presented to the streets as we scooted by, so I needed to sample some for myself. There are a number of places dotted around Ubud so, without a recommendation, I relied on the next best way to find good spot; check if the locals are eating there. I spotted Buk Ari, already with about 10 scooters parked up in the ample parking area - bingo! I ambled past the already familiar swine cabinet and in to the dining area, large communal tables with bench seating. After some awkward motioning, I finally got the message that I take a seat to be served and I chose the ‘special’, which arrived in minutes. I was not disappointed - the portions were more than adequate, pork roasted and fried, a fresh ginger and chili sambal, blood sausage, herb salad, a small bowl of broth plus rice, and two types of crackling. At 45000IRP/4.50AUD it is quite reasonable and very satisfying. Add a bottle of water for 5000IRP/0.50AUD and that is an inexpensive meal-deal or get it to go for even less (very popular with locals). It will not be for everyone but it is a great experience outside the comfort zone, provided you like pork. I loved it. jP🤘🏼

Nestled in the charming streets of Denpasar, Warung Babi Guling Swari is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Balinese cuisine. This hidden gem specializes in babi guling, a beloved dish that captures the essence of Bali's culinary heritage. While finding this spot may require navigating narrow roads and dealing with limited parking, the journey is well worth it.
My comfort food! Compared to other Babi Guling you can find in Bali, I think this is the one you could call affordable with perfect taste! Big portions, of course! Negkritik? Obviously! An absolute hidden gem, as it’s located a bit far from the main road. However, it’s worth the effort!

The food was decent and every component I tried was tasty, though I didn’t find a particular standout dish that left a lasting impression The restaurant is tucked away in a small alley—just wide enough for one car—which gives it a quiet, relaxing atmosphere away from main road buzz

Hidden gem in the center of Denpasar. The pork rice is so good. The grilled skin also crisp and tender. Recommended. But they dont have a car park, so better use grab to go here.
Irwan G — Google review
The babi guling here is well-prepared with flavorful, tender meat and a nice balance of spices. The crispy skin adds a pleasant texture, and the sate lilit is savory and delicious. The sambal complements the dish well without overpowering it. Overall, this is a very good and satisfying option, especially considering the very affordable price. Definitely recommended for those looking for tasty babi guling at a great value.

A hidden gem located on the narrow street of denpasar, this place serve excellent babi guling. Road to this place can be a little difficult, especially if you go to this place with car. Parking also a little bit difficult, the street is narrow and they doesn't have a parking spot. The place itself have a very traditional balinese home. Serving time is quick, even though a lot of food delivery courrier queing. Pork is tender and juicy, the sambal is excellent too. The pork is fragrant, combined with their sambal, it is very delicious. The soup is very delicious too, fragrant and a little bit spicy. This place is better than most of the babi guling restaurant in the touristy place such as kuta and jimbaran. And they have lower price too.

One of the best babi guling in the island. Service can be quicker. No parking for car, better go with motorbike. Accept cash and qris payment.

I had Babi Guling Bu Made Seminyak last night. And I gave it a 4-star. But after trying out this place I had to bump down But Made to a 4. This place is slightly better. I like the overall spicier flavor. But, for the area, I still like Pak Malen the best. But this one is a good option too.

Warung Sariastri, located on Jalan WR. Supratman No.75 in Denpasar Bali, is a popular BBQ joint known for its Babi Guling, which is priced at an affordable 12rb. Despite not being as famous as other places, it always has long queues due to its perfect taste and authentic dishes such as babi guling, kulit babi, babi goreng, sate babi, lawar and sambal.
Babi guling that isn's famous as the othera. But it was queueing since I arrived. Taste perfect. A plate full of sins consist of babi guling, kulit babi ❤, babi goreng, sate babi, lawar and sambal. The soup is very rich with pelepah jantung pisang. Totally authentic and very worth every penny. Cheap, delicious but quality beyond expectation.

The food i can say was delicious! I try a lot of babi guling everywhere I go and this was very good BUT unfortunetly they made us pay triple the price per person. Yes still cheap for a decent size lunch you will say but that is not the point. I know we are tourist even after living a year here but I did not appreciate this at all. I always also leave extra or round up the total price or whatever but this was really upsetting. No other babi guling place has done this before to us. Safe to say i will not return.

The warung is located on Jalan Raya Andong and offers generous portions at affordable prices. Customers can enjoy the flavorful banana stem soup as a perfect accompaniment to the meal.
Affordable price only 20k per portion. It's reasonable price in Ubud for someone who craving for local main dish. This is babi guling (pork) open daily near main district of Ubud Centre. The Pork Cracker is also nice to try. But very spicy, may be if you don't like spicy food just don't eat the sambal (chili paste).

the best great budget babi guling around ubud, if you're living around ubud you should try this babi guling, it's only 25.000 IDR or 30.000 IDR for bigger portion, it's much more worth it, rather than those babi guling near pasar ubud.

The place is on Jalan Raya Andong about 200 meters pass Delta Dewata Supermarket. Definetely one of my favorite babi guling in Bali. Portion was big. The pork is tender, the skin crispy, the spice is just right. Overall, it's another good place for Babi Guling in Ubud. Even though it's a bit too salty for my taste. Service was quick.
Dewa D — Google review
The food is very good alrhough a bit salty for me. You better order for takeaway, and you should determine the price. I bought the food for IDR 15K each. And if you don't like it spicy or hot, you have to tell the waiter "tidak pedas", which means s/he won't put any hot sauce on the rice. I would highly recommend this place.

If you're bored with the usual babi guling and want something more off grid this might be for you. Situated in a very rustic space. The pork itself is just okay, and it comes with lawar merah which contains a bit of blood so be warned. But it seems to be a local go-to spot so worth a try.

Babi Guling Bu Desak Sapat is a must-visit spot in Tegallalang, Bali, not far from Ubud central. The warung offers an authentic and spicy culinary experience with its tender meat and crackling pork skin. The star of the show is the sambal bawang, a fiery combination of red and green chilies with fried shallots that adds an extra kick to the dish.
Best babi guling in Ubud, crispy skin, juicy pork, side veggie stir fry that comes with a plate of hot pork and hot rice, what more could you ask for? Of course a beer or iced tea to help with the spice. Excellent lunch spot especially after an Ubud cycle or touring around the rice terraces :) the owner and staff were really nice and I even asked for takeaway and they will ask you how much you want. Cheap at 30k for a generous portion of pork.

Probably don’t need introduce or review this, people have done it justice below. What I thought was helpful to guests are tips below: -don’t have to get there at 5am, our local driver said that’s when it is the most crowded, we got here at 8am, plenty of food left -components: pork skin, shredded pork, minced pork, deep fried innards, seasoned liver, blood sausage; if you are like me and don’t like innards, do customize when ordering at the stall front (just point!) -not quite sure what the prevailing prices are, ended up paying 30 a pop

One of the best babi guling we’ve ever eaten around Bali. This place is unpretentious, full of locals, with no tourists and the corresponding tourist prices. Give this a go over the other famous joints. Go early though, it opens in the wee hours of the morning and shuts before the morning is over.

Was lucky to grab a plate of Babi Guling before they close down for the day. The sambal takes the centre stage in this Babi Guling but that isn't to say that the meat and the sauce weren't good. Every one of the items in the assortment was amazing. What's even amazing is it's only 25000 for one plate. They charge local prices even for foreigners and serve great food. By the way they only serve Babi Guling and maybe beer if you want one during a hot Ubud morning.

Delicious food, portion size is right and nice atmosphere by the open field. Soup is so delicious and the sambal is not too spicy. The skin was crispy as well. Nice open air restaurant. My girlfriend and I enjoyed their special which includes roasted pork, a couple different types of sausage, spicy sambal, and a pork and banana soup. We had a couple young coconuts for our drinks. Overall a good experience. They were burning the adjacent rice fields so the smoke was relatively bad, but not their fault. I enjoyed the soup the most. The roasted pork was good but not excellent. The price was good for the quality.

Nestled in the heart of Jimbaran, Babi Guling Bu Made is a must-visit for anyone eager to indulge in authentic Balinese cuisine. This charming eatery specializes in roasted suckling pig, served alongside a flavorful soup that enhances the overall experience. The ambiance is enriched by traditional music, creating a delightful atmosphere for diners. With ample parking and options to dine indoors or in cozy gazebos, it’s an inviting spot for both locals and tourists alike.
We ordered large pork ribs (135000 per person). Portions were really big and tasty.

The place is good, easy to park the car and can eat inside or just in little space gazebo. The soup is good but other dishes the meats are so so. The price was set up quiet High comparing to another Babi Guling warung. Regular portion was 50K, I think it’s because the location. The overal taste is not exceptional for this price. When I was there we can not order extra skin and the skin we had isn’t relevant to the Name “Kriuk Raja”

Dined in. Coming as a Caucasian, the cashier didn’t know I understand Basa Bali. She asked which menu should I offered. And the lady answered with “T” (I guess as Tourist). The prices are all covered in stickers. When they serve, i asked again how much, and the mention number different than in the menu🤣🤣 Tasty just trust issued

Place is good, cozy and comfy. The food nothing special, just like another place. Staffs are not good enough, bad attitude, no smile when we ordered. Or explained when we asked, and the price also expensive. 35k/one plate (small portion) Oh No, that is gonna be our first and the last time.

Great little place for a Babi Guling (and maybe more, but that's what we had). Easy to park, airy little waring, with friendly staff, good food at a good price. Will be stopping by again.

Staff was nice. Portion size varies. Today the broth/soup wasn’t available. My portion was small and didn’t include roast pork. It’s a nice setting but you smell the drainage canal if you sit outside.

If you find yourself in the northern region of Bali, particularly near the Sangeh Monkey Forest, make sure to stop by Warung Makan Babi Guling Men Wenci. This hidden gem is celebrated for its authentic babi guling, offering a delightful culinary experience that rivals more famous establishments. With menu options like Campur and Pisah at reasonable prices, many patrons recommend trying the Pisah for its popularity among locals.
the spices was tasty, affordable & good generous portion, better come early so the pork skin crackling fresh
Wahyu P — Google review
Babi Guling Men Wenci – A Hidden Gem for Authentic Babi Guling Babi Guling Men Wenci is one of the best places to enjoy babi guling in Bali, alongside renowned spots like Babi Guling Slingsing, Karya Revo, Pande Egi, Pak Malen, Pan Ana, and more. The restaurant offers two main menu options: Campur (Rp20,000) and Pisah (Rp25,000). I highly recommend ordering Pisah, as it’s the most popular choice among customers. What sets this place apart from other babi guling restaurants is that they serve Oret—a dish made from pork blood, cooked and thickened into a rich, flavorful mixture. The restaurant is quite clean but retains a traditional and slightly aged look. It’s a hidden gem, not yet widely known among international tourists but very popular among locals. The location is also convenient, right on the way to Sangeh Monkey Forest. There is a car parking area that can accommodate up to 15 cars, while motorbikes are usually parked at the front of the restaurant. ⚠ Important tip: Make sure to come for breakfast or brunch before 12 PM, as they often sell out and close early. If you’re looking for an authentic babi guling experience in Bali, this place is definitely worth a visit!

Men Wenci, an authentic Babi Guling spot in Bali, offers a genuine local experience away from the tourist crowds. The taste surpasses many well-known Babi Guling restaurants, despite the reasonable prices. The atmosphere is authentically local and simple, adding to the charm of the place. Don’t miss out on the affordable and delicious durian they offer.

This is frequented by locals - the food was good, the setting very green. Be warned there are pigs there that will be served on a plate at some point, but if you don’t want the reminder, then maybe you shouldn’t be eating meat in the first place. The food is cheap and tasty - well worth a visit

Bu Made Sekar Raya Kuta No soup. Satay comes with birdseye chili. And has distict raw chili taste. Spicy level 6 The lawar dominated by longbeans. With kencur dominated. The babi guling not too hard. With salty bumbu just a little hint of spiciness . Level1 . The pork kecap is sweet similar to chinese with 5spices. The crispy samcan is just nice Overal spicyness 2 Overal taste 6.5

Nestled just a short 20-minute drive from the vibrant town of Ubud, Babi Guling Men Gareng is a culinary gem that promises an unforgettable experience for pork lovers. This eatery operates on a unique schedule, typically open from 7 am to 11 am, but it's wise to arrive before 9 am to snag the freshest cuts of their renowned suckling pig and flavorful lawar.
Very tasty local food that's only 2AUD for a plate. Went there at 10am and almost all the pork crackles were gone. The plate also includes deep fried lung and liver-very small potion. It wasn't as spicy as I thought and my stomach was still feeling okay the next day. The owner also speaks some English so it wasn't hard to communicate.
Ree W — Google review
The babi guling is veryyyy appealing and tasty. The pork skin was crunchy and tasty. The ‘Ares’ soup ( made of banana stems) was warm and savory and fresh. The pork meat was generous and juicy. They pour the rice with broth based soup. The good news is, it’s only Rp 20k ! (Next to this restaurant, there’s a tukang gorengan selling fried sweet potato/ ubi goreng, and it’s warm, sweet and soft in the inside, i ate it on the way home. Love it.)
Aurelia K — Google review
I can confidently say that this restaurant sells the tastiest pork rice in Bali with an affordable price tag. One portion is only 20 thousands Rupiah. The portion is also large. And the pork skin--my God I already missed it--is so tasty and its crunchiness is just right. I am definitely coming back to this place again during my next visit. Definitely. I just can't have enough of the pork skin.

Nestled amidst the lush rice fields of Desa Beng in Gianyar, Warung Nyoman Campuhan Sari is a hidden gem that offers an authentic Balinese dining experience. Owned by Nyoman and his wife, this charming warung combines the warmth of home-cooked meals with a modern twist. Guests rave about the farm-fresh nasi goreng made from red rice grown right on their property, which not only adds a unique flavor but also makes it a healthier option.
This was my favourite warung in Jatiluwih! While the food in all the other cafes and warung were good, this is the only one that feels like comfort food to me with the homecooked taste. The fried egg in the nasi goreng was very enak! And the rice was grown straight from his own farm, also cooked in the open fire and had a very nice texture that is almost like japanese rice . The owner was very kind to share some organic bananas with me. I wished i could go back but unfortunately i only discovered this place on my last day. The only negative is the extremely steep slope on the way up and down, so you get to workout pre and post meal
Joy T — Google review
We had super delicious food here. Really good price and amazing flavor. We also buy rice from his own farm. I tried the hot red rice tea, very good, something new for me. The way is pretty steep, so if you are scared to drive better, park the Scooter better down and more if it's a rainy day. After it is only 3 min walking. It is worth the visit. The owners are super friendly and lovely. We hope we can visit them again.
Soledad B — Google review
A beautiful meal overlooking the rice terraces at dusk. The owners are very friendly, and even provided us with some fruit to complement our meal. The crispy egg was a completely new way for us to experience the Nasi Goreng! Brown Rice and a Bintang to close out the day with beauty and peace.
Angela C — Google review
We had the best nasi goreng here. The owner makes it with his own rice from the rice fields next to the restaurant. He was very kind and told us a lot about his restaurant. He also gave us some papaya after we finished. Also the view over the rice fields is very nice. We would always come back.
Tom D — Google review
Loved this warung so much, I went twice! Nyoman and his wife own the farm and kitchen. They’ve done a wonderful job setting it up, and they made me feel at home. Seriously, come by for a visit, walk around his rice paddies and eat farm-fresh nasi goreng. Nyoman uses red rice, so it’s extra healthy, tasty and very reasonably priced. He grows a lot more than just rice, but I won’t spoil all details here. Go to his warung and find out for yourself! Important to know: the driveway is very steep and narrow. You can’t take a car up it. If you’re on a moto, be careful or just walk up from the street. It’s a short hike, but totally worth it.
Ryan — Google review
Delicious food with an amazing view over the rice terraces of the farmer. (You have also a view of the Jatiluwih terraces) The owner is super friendly and let us make a tour at his farm. The food he serves is from his own farm and is one of the best we had during our vacation! He also has passionfruit trees, and let us taste fresh passionfruit! Highly recommend to stop at this wonderful Warung for a beautifull expirience!
Lander D — Google review
The owners greeted us with open arms and where really friendly. The food was good and the view is spectacular. It can be challenging to go the steep mountain up but it is worth it in anyway. They have many tables from where you can enjoy the beautiful view.

(Translated by Google) Maybe for some urban people in Bali, this place is a "Hidden Gems" because its location is quite far from the city of Denpasar. One of the most underrated suckling pigs, I don't know why this delicious suckling pig is not as viral as the one located in Denpasar. A place to cook begul, sell, and serve begul in my own fertile house, so the vibe is like eating begul in a Balinese house straight away 😁. One of the unique things that I tasted was that the yellow mek lush seasoning tasted like it had a touch of "betutu men tempeh" style seasoning, but that's what makes this beguling so delicious. Just my advice, if you come here with your family/partner, order 1 special portion + add 1 white rice which is more than enough because the portion of side dishes is large 🤣. *Additional: the travel route to this location is also very beautiful, suitable for those of you who need refreshment (Original) Mungkin bagi sebagian orang perkotaan di Bali tempat ini merupakan sebuah "Hidden Gems" karena lokasinya yg lumayan jauh dari kota Denpasar.

Nestled in the charming district of Payangan, just north of Ubud, Babi Guling Payangan Bu Ari has transformed from a modest eatery into a beloved culinary hotspot. The owner, Ibu Ari, recognized the growing demand for her delectable dishes and opted to expand to a larger venue nearer to town.
