The Adriana Hvar Spa Hotel is a luxury hotel located on the town's seaside promenade. It offers 62 airy rooms with panoramic views of the boardwalk and the marina. The spa facilities spread across six indoor and outdoor levels, with attentive service designed to exceed your expectations.
Great location. The staff is very accommodating and the rooms are very nice. I’d recommend booking here. If you take the ferry to Hvar town, the hotel has bag service concierge waiting at the ferry that will take your bags to the hotel upon your arrival. They really do a great job to ensure the best overall experience. Probably the best sauna I have ever seen. The breakfast is really good.

Cannot say enough good things about this hotel. The rooms were gorgeous, so spacious & very clean. The ambience of the hotel itself is incredible - beautiful spaces to hang out. There is a rooftop bar with pool, restaurant & bar with an amazing view of the city. The waterfront area for breakfast each morning was such a treat. The spa that is included is fabulous. The staff is so kind and helpful and treat you like you are VIP. Ivan, Carla, Nina, & Nicola made our stay so much more enjoyable. Great location as well. We wished we had more than 3 days here!
Our stay at Adriana was incredible! Great location and fantastic service - they offer bag assistance to and from the ferry. Check-in was a pleasure, very smooth and were able to give us early access to room. Nikolaus & Antonio were so helpful & sweet, they went above and beyond to make sure our stay was stress-free & that we were well taken care of. The included breakfast was delicious and the views from the room did not disappoint! Would stay here again and again.
We had an amazing stay at Adriana Hvar hotel for our honeymoon. They provided top notch customer service and helped us immensely when we left something valuable in our room right as we were boarding our ferry. We definitely recommend. Also be sure to have small bills to tip the guys who help with the ferry and luggage.

Excellent! Location is fantastic, rooms ate specious and clean, facilities are great. What matters most is the friendly and hardworking service at any point of the hotel. I cannot recommend more. Yes there is no direct access to a beach, but you want to explore a different beach / island everyday anyway.

Didn’t even stay there as hotel guests, no problem. Seating very smooth, even got a complimentary Prosecco.
We’ve got the asparagus for starters, pasta & the tuna steak. Finished it off with a tasty tiramisu. Very good, really liked it! Service was excellent. Waiter was very knowledgeable and classy.
Definitely worth the money, even though it’s wasn’t even too pricey. Ended up paying 73 Euro for a starter, two main & dessert. In addition with service and location right at the marina front definitely worth it!
Adriana was the perfect stay on our Croatian journey in Hvar. The service was outstanding and the showers were the best I have ever had. Everything was walking distance and the included breakfast topped it all off. Thank you for your hospitality!!
Beautiful hotel, hindered by the lazy staff.
Being lazy won't stop the staff from consistently asking for tips, however.
On top of that, the pool is ice cold at 20 degrees. For our October visit, the sea was warmer to swim in, so skip this hotel if the pool sold you.
The breakfast was also lackluster, reminding me of cheap roadside hotels in Germany, with a fancy veneer.

Nestled in the charming Stari Grad, B&B Heritage Villa Apolon is a refined boutique accommodation with a rich history. Once owned by Don Sime Ljubic, an esteemed Croatian archaeologist and historian, this neoclassical villa offers six chic suites exuding elegant decor inspired by the Ancient Greeks. The property features a wine bar and restaurant, offering stunning bay views and an exceptional location at the harbor's entrance.
We had the best stay at this hotel. Not only is the location great and the rooms are beautiful the host owner, Ante, is incredibly helpful and goes above and beyond to make your stay the best it can be. His suggestions on restaurants and getting around made our stay that much enjoyable. Very knowledgeable about wines and traditional Croatian cuisine was a must try.

This was our third stay at Villa Apolon and after a 5 year break. We were glad to see that the level of service has remained at the highest level. The staff are absolutely faultless and so helpful. The rooms are spotless, with great decor and amazing views of the marina. Finally, the breakfasts were also amazing, sitting out on the terrace overlooking the bay. This place will remain our go to whenever in Stari Grad.
Everything about our stay was just perfect.
The hotel is in a wonderful position overlooking the harbour. It is a beautifully restored hotel. The room was spacious and spotless. We had a sea view room and the evening sunsets were breath taking. It’s located in the old town, so close to shops and swimming areas.
The breakfast was freshly made to order with lots of options.
The main star of our stay was front of house manager Veronica. She was so helpful, kind, accommodating and attentive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and definitely recommend it.

Amazing! Can’t say enough about our stay at the Heritage Villa Apolon hotel! The building is gorgeous, the rooms were spacious, the staff was amazing and Stari Grad is by far, the best place to stay on the Island. And a huge shout out to Chef Kristina who absolutely makes the best bruschetta I’ve ever tasted! You must try it!
Veronica and Ante are the best — we were here four days and it was truly stunning. The staff are so friendly and will help you with any questions. Breakfast is also fabulous! We will be back!
Absolutely amazing property , perfect location , beautifully appointed rooms with traditional furniture and spacious modern bathrooms, super clean and comfortable facilities. Delicious daily breakfast and lovely evening cocktails and tapas we had a wonderful stay and looking forward to our next visit.
My husband and I stayed here during our trip to Croatia and we both decided it was our favorite hotel of the entire trip! For context, we stayed in a boutique hotel in Split and then a very luxury hotel in Dubrovnik but we felt like this had the most character, huge rooms, exceptional service, great breakfast and the staff were genuinely the most kind and helpful staff I've ever come across. One of the staff even drove us to Hvar town during his time off to get us to a tour we had! And on the day we left, we were too early for breakfast but they made us a to-go bag of croissants and sandwiches for the road. Above and beyond!
Separate from the hotel itself, we absolutely adored Stari Grad. We went to Croatia in June and the town of Hvar was absolute mayhem. If you're looking for a party scene, it's great for that. But Stari Grad was so quaint and peaceful and not overcrowded! It's a quieter town but we loved that. And it was only about 20-30 minutes for Hvar which we went to for a day. There's a bus that costs like 5 Euro that will take you directly from Hvar to Stari Grad.

You have to stay here when you are in Hvar! The hospitality and warmth from the family was bar none. Vincent, Lidija and her aunt were just fabulously attentive. Amazing pastries that are home baked - highly recommend the breakfast! We are definitely planning to return!
This place is amazing. It's intimate, family friendly or great for a digital nomad and/or solo traveller too. The family who run this place make you feel at home, I've had my washing done, we got a pick up from the port and a lift out to town. It's not a long walk to town. 20 minutes in a straight route, which is easy down hill but can be a little tougher up hill for the unfit, but we just did the walk a second time after getting some dinner in the old town and it was fine.
They have a modern and well equipped gym space that with a squat rack, a good selection of dumbbells, cable column and kettlebells, I was able to do a more than adequate leg workout. They've also got a spin bike, modern treadmill and cross trainer plus a rower. So if you hate doing cardio and like to break it up into 10-15 minute intervals you can work off the booze you've likely shoved down your throat at the beach bars.
Balconies have an amazing view across the bay, rooms have a kettle and a fridge, plus a lovely shower and the communal areas include a lovely pool, shaded seating areas, high quality sun loungers, table tennis, pool table and foosball. They've also got a good selection of books and serve breakfast/lunch/drinks on request.
In the rooms we had a big double desk space so I could work from, but found myself plugged in downstairs by the pool most of the time.

Great location just out of town if you want some peace and quiet- but only a 15min downhill walk to town when you want. Great pool with plenty of shade if you want it. Rooms are comfy and clean with a nice balcony.

We just spent a night after AirBNB canceled last minute. The whole family was so nice to us, they did their best to accommodate us, they picked us up in the town to bring us to their b&b at 10:00pm. The pool is amazing, the breakfast was also really nice, rooms are big and bed are so comfortable.
Absolutely amazing familly ran hotel! Great views, spacious and clean bedrooms, perched on the hills and great swimming pool. Vincent also offers to drive the residents back and forth down to Hvar town until 9pm...it's a short 5min drive and definitely made our stay a lot easier! Completely recommend.

Stayed as a group of 5 and had an amazing experience. Very close proximity to main hvar town. Owners are amazing providing refreshments and free transport to town and back. Dela features a large pool/ table tennis to help with down time and is very quiet in a secluded section of the town. Rooms with a balcony provide an amazing view of the town/sea/hills. A home away from home.

A wonderful pansion with nice people. Also the dinner at night was very tasty. We recommend this pansion for singles, couples and families. There is also a small playground in front of the house.

So happy we picked Villa Luka for our stay in Hvar.
Accommodation was excellent. The room was clean and modern with a lovely view from the balcony.
The host, Marina, is very warm and welcoming and gave us excellent advice for what to do when in Hvar.
We stayed for 3 nights, followed her 2 day itinerary(one day taxi boats to the island + one day rent a car) and had an excellent time
Marina and her husband were incredibly hospitable. The rooms were very clean and had lovely views of the seas and the islands. We also enjoyed the boat ride to Palmizana. We are received a bottle of wine and chocolates as it was my birthday on arrival. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Villa Luka. Their home brew house wine was also really lovely. Marina was also really lovely, she sat with us for an hour to explain and show us all the best spots on the island and recommendations on restaurants and beaches as well as wine distillery. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

When we visited, most places nearby were still closed—which actually made the experience better. The beach was quiet, peaceful, and far less crowded than usual. We were among just a few people there, which made it feel like a hidden gem.
The water was clear and clean, perfect for a swim. Just a heads-up—it’s a pebble beach, so beach shoes or sandals definitely help.

We didn’t even try to go to the beach, it was clear from afar that it was crowded. But there were some sunbeds on the rocks that you could rent for €40 for the whole day (two sunbeds and an umbrella). I highly recommend it. The water was very clean, and there were stairs nearby to get down and swim. There were also spots where you could jump into the water from a height. On top of that, the guy in charge of the sunbeds was very friendly to us. If you come to this beach, I recommend staying in the sunbed area. It’s worth paying for. The place is beautiful.
The beach itself is beautiful, with very clear water and no visible dirt. Just keep in mind that it’s all pebbles, so a thick base under your towel and an umbrella are a must, as there’s no natural shade. The downside is the rental prices – €20 for a sunbed and €10 for an umbrella is pretty unreasonable, especially since rentals only start from 10:00. For those who prefer to come early in the morning (like 7:00–12:00), paying €50 for just a couple of hours feels insane. Another minus is that the umbrellas don’t include a small table or hooks for clothes. I would still recommend the beach, but definitely bring your own gear for comfort and health.

The cala is the bluest water I’ve seen. Not do crowded. It has a bathroom for 1 euro and a nearby restaurant. It has a short hike down on a rocky road. We loved it!
A beautiful natural cove beach excellent for swimming! We brought our own goggles so we could lap the designated swim area. You could snorkel but there isn’t much to see, watch out for sea urchins!
There is a bar and restaurant available but seemed very overpriced. Instead we stopped at some markets in town and brought our own food and drinks.
You are able to drive or taxi from the town, taxi men wait at the lot to take you back. But we just walked the short but steep path down from the town.
Went on a Friday afternoon and yes it was crowded in the main beach area, but there are places in the trees on the west side that had more space and provided sun protection.
Could have spent the whole day here! Was a wonderful time, hope to return one day.

Villa Welcome - Rooms & Apartments Hvar is a charming guesthouse located in the serene village of Vrboska on Hvar Island. The property offers modest rooms, some with balconies and sea views, as well as a guest kitchen for convenience. Guests can relax on the spacious terrace shaded by a kiwi plant or take a short 600-meter stroll to Maslinica Beach, known for its crystal-clear waters.
Villa Welcome became our summer destination no. 1 throughout the years. We are coming back here for 13 years now. Why? Quiet and peaceful accommodation, great location, clean rooms, cheap stay and above all Marijana and Slaven are fantastic, very reliable hosts. Any help you need - they are here. Their Villa is fantastic option if you want to settle here and explore the island's numerous bays and beaches (preferably with car). We fell in love with the Island in 2010 and the hospitality and peace within the Villa Welcome is everything you need while on vacation.
The reason why I'm leaving my review this year is to answer to the review of Mr. Pongrácz Mátyás. We were there on their first two days (our last two) and what Mr. Pongrácz is saying is simply not true. As many guests witnessed upon their arrival, the very first morning they came, kids were running up and down the stairs of the Villa, yelling and playing in the garden at 07:45 am (and probably earlier because my husband could not sleep and already went to the store). Myself and one guest from another apartment across us, who kids also woke up at 07:45 am, went to our balconies to see if the kids and their parents will notice that they had woken up entire Villa and even asked politely if they can be a bit quieter. Myself and another guest had to do that, but nothing stopped them and parents did not care. The Villa finally went in silence around 09:00 am when the went to the beach.
In the evening the same day kids were again running up and down the stairs and slammed the doors of their kitchen and entrance, all after 10:00 pm. Adults again didn't care much, only once we heard them telling their kids to calm.
Our last day - their second day - we were packing our staff to our car to leave around 08:00 am. This time kids were a bit calmer, playing in the garden, probably because a lot of guests complained the day before and hosts had to say something. But what we could not believe is that one of the adults from the group started to turn on the drone!? Firstly - there was noise again, he did that before 08:30 am, and secondly - it is unbelievable attack on privacy of everyone around. Something that never happened in the small place like Vrboska and within Villa's garden where the guests are guaranteed to have peace and privacy. I believe guests from our villas in surrounding were also disturbed by that because I repeat - it's attack on privacy of everyone around.
Out of all our 13 years coming here - for the first time we were lucky to go back to our home. And we are very lucky not to have those guests in the Villa more than our two days staying there. I feel sorry for other guests who paid for their vacation and had to stay in the Villa longer. We spent 12 days in the Villa before their arrival and it was nothing short to peaceful and energizing vacation for all guests staying there, as it always is.

Vrboska village is wonderful and the beaches great, it is worth visiting. The price of Villa Welcome is very good compared to other local prices, also the hosts are nice. Except if yoz travel with children, because in this case you will not have a good time here. We were staying here, 3 families with 4 children. We were at the beach in the morning, beach in the evening and came back to the house only at noon. We did respect every house rule, but the children were having fun and laughing in the garden for 20 minutes at noon while we were making food. The owner was very upset and told us to teach our children to behave because children should sit in place quietly. It is very rude to tell people who stay, at your hotel to teach your children to behave and stay quietly on the chairs like puppies. Also the old lady who was there in the garden all day watching us, closed the water taps so we can't use the water for painting. Guess the water costs too much for the price of the house. But you get what you pay for. Maybe it is worth paying a bit more and have a nice, stress-free holiday if you are travelling with children.
The rooms were clean, with a beautiful view. The private bathroom was large and the shower was hot. The hosts were gracious and obliging. The gardens and patio were well tended and the walk to the waterfront was not only short, but picturesque and enjoyable.
The location is very nice and close to the beach, hosts are very polite and kind. All in all recommend.

Free flow of wholesome soup, free flow of salad and the main dish of grilled fish and shrimp, with creamed zucchini was to die for! And the dessert was a really really tasty nutty caramel mousse. It's one of the best meals I have had in Croatia. And all this with homemade wine included!! I'm just so happy I have two days and 1 night here! Milna is cosy and away from the bustling crowd! The best place I have stayed over in a while. The price is cheap, breakfast and dinner included (which are all, by the way, delicious and made from scratch). Our room had a private bathroom and a private balcony with a stunning view of the sea. The staff is so friendly, they even give you a bottle of their homemade schnaps/wine/prosecco (for free) as a going away present. We are sure to come back in the following years!
We were in Croatia for nearly a month and the grilled seafood dinner we had at B&B Chamberlain was the best supper we had the whole time. The place is not fancy, but clean, and if your'e looking for best value and location, it can't be beat, as long as you can walk up the steep approach to the place.

The Kokolo Lodge is a unique lodging experience in safari country. The lodge is built around an open fire, and guests get to share meals and stories with the staff. The lodge is located on the edge of a national park, and the wildlife is close at hand.
We spent here 2 nights, in a double room with a nice balcony (with a little table) and private bathroom (outside the room but right in front). The structure is lively and Branco and his wife & family (the guests) made special our stay. The house is located in a quite area of the island, but not far from the city centre. Lovely stay, great breakfast, I would definitely recommend it.

Many locals somehow got the wrong idea that simply increasing prices makes a restaurant “fine dining.” They put extra effort into this illusion by charging more and more every year, while offering astonished tourists the same cheap grilled food and very slow, poor service. Unfortunately, you rarely have a choice – 90% of restaurants work exactly like this.
But back to the experience. The lady at the reception was wonderful. We arrived a bit early and she entertained us with small talk until our booked table was ready. The service team was very attentive: always refilling water and wine, bringing complimentary homemade bread, and showing us the fish of the day. The tables are spacious, which makes you feel incredibly comfortable. Every detail – from the tablecloths to the lights and chairs – is well thought out (only the logoed wine glasses felt a bit cheap, in my opinion).
The food was delicious and the portions were fair. The only minor issue was with the fish serving: the waitress didn’t do a great job deboning it in front of us and left quite a few bones. Still, her sex appeal made us forgive her 😺.
Overall, the experience was a solid 5/5.
It was a relief to see that Croatians can deliver proper hospitality if they put just a little effort into it! My sincere compliments to the owner – a very pleasant man, sipping his bottle of red wine at the bar while making sure everything on the floor was running smoothly. I’ll definitely be back soon!
We had an unforgettable evening at Gariful. The seafood tower was outstanding – fresh, vibrant, and full of flavour. From the white fish to the scampi and squid, every bite was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented.

What truly made the experience stand out was the exceptional service. Our server, MICO, went above and beyond – warm, attentive, and professional. He made the evening seamless and so enjoyable.

I typically will not write a review without properly experiencing a restaurant but the experience was so bad that we had to walkout before ordering. We had reservations and upon seating the table next to us was chain smoking. I have asthma and had to immediately leave. We requested another table and despite the restaurant having so many open tables not near the smokers, the hostess refused to move us. She said she would add our name to a waitlist and call but never did. I’m glad we left as it is a notorious tourist trap.
Gariful in Hvar is a must-visit – stunning sea views, ultra-fresh seafood, great wine, and flawless service. Pricey, but worth every bite.

The Franciscan Monastery is a 15th-century historic church located in a quaint setting with a museum, relics, cloisters, and paintings. A great place for rest and soul where you can breathe in 500-3000 years old history. In the garden, there is a beautiful tree over 500 years old, which, with its splendor, once again reminds everyone that the preservation of nature is the most important thing. Swimwear and party clothes are not allowed in the monastery/museum.

Havar Island is about an hour by boat from Split. A round trip takes almost a full day. The restaurants on the island are very expensive — over 100 euros — and not really worth it.
Holy place. Would be a great for pilgrimage but just next to a beach so many naked/ semi naked bodies outside. It was a little strange to see the dress code, which was not beach ware… at the beach!
A beautiful church overlooking the sea and the Hvar coastline. It's a few minutes walk from the port and the main square. A stroll around in the evening or sunset is really nice.
We visited a concert, organised for free in the Monastery. What an experience! A combination of old instruments, wonderful voices and a performance of a professional actor talking with all passion in 17th century Croation. It made my day! A hat off! A day before I visited the gallery and a small numismatic and archaeological collection which was fine but not spectacular.
This happened while we were simply enjoying the sea in front of this church.
I’m deeply disappointed and disturbed by the experience my friend and I (both Asian women in our 20s) had here in Croatia. While we were peacefully floating on our inflatable tubes, a group of local teenage boys (approximately 14–15 years old) began throwing balls at us and shouting racially offensive remarks.
We reported the incident to the local police, expecting protection and proper handling. Instead, we were met with indifference. The officers dismissed the behaviour as something they “couldn’t do anything about” due to the boys’ age. Shockingly, they even seemed to sympathise with the perpetrators.
Let’s be honest – if we had been white, or Croatian, and those boys had been tourists, I doubt this would have been brushed aside so casually. There is clearly a double standard. We felt unsafe, unheard, and entirely unsupported by the very authorities who are meant to uphold justice.
I take this incident very seriously and have video evidence of the police’s inadequate response.
This experience has completely changed how I view Croatia as a travel destination. Racism should never be tolerated – not from teenagers, and certainly not from the police.
Very nice looking monastery with nature in proximity. It’s built out of stone featuring amazing details. The gardens look amazing. Only the walls could be cleaned since they have black stains on them.
A lovely location and the cloister is free. But I didn't think that the museum was anywhere near worth the €7 entrance fee. Mainly some minor paintings, some pots from a shipwreck, and an exhibition of Croatian currency.

Cash only upon arrival was a hassle and made our price increase significantly due to not having an accessible ATM with a decent fee rate. But overall we had a very nice stay!

Zorana was one of the best hostels I have stayed in! The beds were comfy, only a short walk to the beach and the old town, and most importantly everyone that stayed there was so sociable and friendly. The service was amazing, given free shots every night and cheese twists, nothing was too much to ask of the staff. Our bar crawl volunteer, Caitlin, was the absolute best and made sure everyone had a fun time in the evenings and was so friendly and helpful! Could not fault one bit of the stay, it was amazing.
Amazing Stay – Felt Like Home!
We had such a wonderful experience staying here! From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly kind and helpful specifically Bartul 💜. Whether it was helping us book activities, giving great local tips, or even arranging a late-night pizza delivery, they were always down for a chat and happy to help with anything we needed.
The rooms were spotless, and the beds were really comfortable. We especially appreciated the privacy curtains, which made the dorms feel more private and cozy. Bathrooms and toilets were always clean, and the whole place was clearly well looked after.
Special shoutout to the cleaners who did a fantastic job every day, the super friendly receptionist, and the sweet older gentleman who sits out on the porch in the evenings just to make sure everyone gets home safe (and to make sure you’re not too loud so others can sleep, meaning you’ll always know you’re going to sleep through the night!). The vibe here is welcoming, relaxed, and genuine.
We met so many amazing people at this hostel as well. I know that they will become my life long friends and I am so thankful for this experience!
It’s about 15 minute walk from the main square. I don’t think any hostels in Hvar are any closer (if so, not by much) so location wise it’s very good and there is an ATM, store & rental service very close by.
Owners are friendly, rooms are clean, there’s nothing wrong with the hostel but there’s nothing outstanding about it either. It’s your average backpacker accommodation. Relatively social although the kitchen/common area is next to two of the dorms so can be a bit loud but they do strictly enforce the quiet hours.

Red Rocks, Hvar is a stunning destination known for its massive red rocks and crystal-clear waters. It's a popular spot for swimming, snorkeling, and even cliff diving. Visitors recommend arriving early in the morning to enjoy the peaceful surroundings before it gets crowded with tour boats. The location is also praised for its natural beauty and the opportunity to explore caves from the sea.
I have visited this beautiful place twice. First time we came with boat. Second time I have started with sup from my favorite beach Dubovica. You need to walk 10 to 15 minutes to reach the beach. If calm sea you can reach it in 30 to 40 minutes but be careful and check weather forecast. I was not able to return because of strong wind, current and waves so I have used marked mountain trail from nearby beach Piscena to Dubovica to return by foot so you need inflatable sup of course. Next time I will come with sup from Sveta Nedjelja which is not so close. Cliffs are vertical going to sea and there are several little caves you can enter. Color of cliffs is red of course.

We loved it! Access to the small private beach is right below the huts. It is really quiet and calm area. The staff is extremely polite and friendly, and they have awesome cocktails! Castaway has everything you need, so there is no need to worry about anything. The kitchen is fully equipped with cooking supplies. Toilets and showers are clean and in enough numbers for all the guests. We were also lucky to experience morning and evening Yoga with Iva. Truly recommend visiting this place. It is basically a hotel under millions of stars! It has something magical.

Looking for a remote, tranquil, hostel type setting. Private bungalow sleep quarters, full kitchen area to prepare your meals, ocean steps away with breathtaking views, beach bar and fabulous host. Unplug and do some snorkeling, or paddle boarding, soak up the sunshine and peace.
Very nice location. Getting there is less easy, but it is rewarding as it is remote. Quiet location, top terrace with sea view and all comfort you need. Will try to go again in future for relaxing! 😎👍

This place is perfect for anyone wanna calm down and still not be completely alone. Stuff and owner Didier is super friendly, helpful and welcomes you like a family member. The tent-huts are far better than a tent, quit cheap and the sea few, little stone beach and surrounding nature is magnificent. As you are still outside most of the time make sure you do not have a problem with bugs and stuff. In the kitchen you will find everything you need for cooking and storing. Food you should buy for your whole stay, even if there is the opportunity to drive with the stuff to the grocery store every day (just takes some time). Showers are great, still under construction. In the evening you can chill on the bar or just enjoy the stars sparkling down at you. Borrow boats, stand up paddling for little trips (the other island is more far away than you might think first), snorkeling equipment is for free and absolutely recommended! Go there, be nice and you will have a great experience. Thanks to the team, see you again

Let me start off by saying that I feel badly for writing this review, because it is clear that this camp was built with love, but something has gotten lost in the years between when it was built and now. I paid €90 per night in the high season and this was far too much money for what you are getting. The mosquitoes are unbearable and the nets on the tents have holes in them, so you spend the night being swarmed by insects. While I was staying here, several guests left early because the mosquitoes were so terrible. The staff offers lavender oil to deter the bugs but this is not enough. For €90, Cast Away should at least invest in some basic amenities for guests to make their stay more enjoyable (battery operated fans to keep the bugs off your face at night, for example). There are several other guesthouses right next to the camp so the beach can get crowded during the day, & two showers/two toilets are shared between 15+ people.
The beach is beautiful and the staff are so kind, but I’m unclear as to what we are paying €90 euros a night for. I would not recommend the camp to anyone at this price.

The Hotel Antica is a delightful small hotel in the ancient town of Stari Grad on the northern side of Hvar Island. The location is convenient for seeing more of Hvar Island and its surrounding islands, as well as enjoying the cultural, culinary and historical attractions available in this part of Croatia. The staff are professional, friendly and informed about all things to do on Hvar island. The hotel has a lot of facilities, great food and wonderful staff.
Hotel Antica was an idyllic hotel, made even better by the staff who went above and beyond to help us.
Our room was lovely, comfortable, and spacious. It had a great balcony with a view of paradise.
The staff were very helpful, kind and friendly. They created a vegan menu for us including an amazing spread of options for breakfast every morning, and on the night we dined in the restaurant they curated a fantastic menu which tasted great. They also gave us advice on secluded beaches, took photos for us, give us towels and much more.
Thank you so much for the lovely experience.

Hotel Antica is a home away from home. Jelica and her team did an amazing job with their hospitality and made all efforts to make our honeymoon stay comfortable and memorable. Jelica provided great recommendations with activities and the food was great! This place is great for families and couples.

The hotel staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms were spotless and the common areas were well kept. The hotel was conveniently located within walking distance to the village center, making it easy to explore the local sights and attractions.
This is a special hotel that treats you like you are family. I can’t say enough great things about Hotel Antica. The location is perfect. It’s right on the water in a very peaceful setting in Stari Grad. There’s beautiful surroundings everywhere. Beaches are all in walking distance. The walking path that is right in front of the hotel will take you to the town center as well...a short 15 min walk.
The hotel itself is very new and quaint. Everything in the hotel is clean and comfortable. The patio seating is incredible...beautiful views everywhere.
The breakfast that’s included was great and very authentic Croatian. Dinner at the restaurant is one of the best we had while in Croatia.
The thing that really sealed the deal in how much we enjoyed our stay at the hotel was the owner and her staff. They were INCREDIBLE!!! So nice...so helpful...so warm...we really felt like we were amongst family. My 3 children were sad to leave because they had such a happy experience there. I highly recommend and we will definitely be back!! Thank you Hotel Antica for creating such a special experience for us!!
I loved our trip to Croatia, but our stay at Hotel Antica was what made our stay that much more memorable. The hotel itself was good, but the welcoming staff is what makes this hotel great. They were accommodating and just so darn friendly, helpful and fantastic. The views were great. No issues with wifi or AC. Comfy beds. Great inclusive breakfast. We had a few lunches at the hotel and we thoroughly enjoyed the chef. It was easy to walk to from the ferry. You can also easily walk into the tourist packed city center or they arranged for a driver. They even came to pick us up late in the evening.
We definitely will be staying here again in the future.
My wife an I spent a couple days here as part of our honeymoon and had a wonderful time. The staff were eager to help with anything. The food was delicious, and the pool was super refreshing! We would stay here again on our next visit.
The hotel and staff are very welcoming and kind. We arrived early before check-in and they were able to let us into our room several hours before planned check-in time.
The hotel opened in 2018 and has a fabulous outdoor area with loads of seating to enjoy the beautiful views of Stari Grad bay. Located just 100 meters more in the bay from the ferry, it’s very easy to walk from the ferry to the hotel. Despite the proximity to the ferry terminal, do not worry as this is not an issue nor eyesore. The waters are beautiful, the ferry is not noticeable. There is also a small commercial complex at the ferry terminal with ATMs and a supermarket.
The hotel has only 8 rooms and therefore the staff is very attentive to all their guests’ needs. They pride themselves in ensuring your absolute comfort and happiness. Faras, the “concierge” helped us organize an amazing private boat ride and scooter rental. Nothing was required from us. He has a friendly laugh and is dedicated to ensuring your satisfaction. The other staff are also very polite and helpful. Din and Leon served us at the restaurant and bar. Din helped us debone our fish dinner and my gin and tonics were excellently crafted. There is a small but eclectic selection of gins available. For next year they plan a renovation and expansion of their hotel to 28 rooms.
The hotel room was more traditionally decorated with a teak wood nautical theme approach. The room was adequate but I suspect that with the oncoming renovation much will be upgraded. Good water pressure in the bathroom, but lighting could be improved. Each room has a balcony and minimal noise from outside could be heard. German style sliding doors are a bit challenging for Americans to use. The mattress could have been a bit firmer for my liking. Our wifi wasn’t strong in the room so the staff arranged for our own personal Wifi box with excellent signal.
We decided to eat one evening at the restaurant. We chose our fish ahead of time, a pagrus, “pagar” or sea bream. The fish was prepared together with grilled vegetables. The quality was very good. We also ordered some grilled calamari also prepared very well. I feel we were treated very well as guests.
The hotel and restaurant are staffed by a few very dedicated employees. Their service made our staff exceptional and they should be recognized. Also a big thank you to our boat guide Vlado. Faras was happy to drive us anywhere, even to the ATM 50 metres away. I believe the hotel has an Audi A6 shuttle car (probably at a cost).
In all, our stay was great. We will definitely come back. After we checked out, we had a few hours to kill, so we were welcome to spend our time at the pool where Faras still checked on us and offered us water and beach towels. We enjoyed the boutique format of this hotel. Its relaxing and the clientele is quiet and civilized.
Unexpectedly we found this wonderful boutique hotel with little paradise character. We only wanted to stay for one night on the isle of Hvar but decided to extend because of the all in service we experienced. Hotel Antica is not only a Hotel - it feels like coming home. We felt super welcomed from the first second and enjoyed each minute. The high class restaurant offers super delicious food and the super cosy breakfast room and pool lounge area invite to relax.
The sea view is just fantastic and it is only some steps to a tiny beach.
The team following Jelica is just amazing - they take care of everything you need with a smile on their face.

She was so attentive to our requests and went above and beyond, including picking us up from ferry and dropping us off with our luggage.

We stayed at Josipa’s top unit with the hot tub and it was the best abnb we’ve ever stayed at. The apartment had everything you needed, ranging from slippers, toiletries (shampoo and body wash), laundry, a fully-equipped kitchen, and a decked-out balcony with a couch, tanning chairs and a hot tub. The apartment had a sweet view of the old town and is only a short walk away. It was really an all-in-one package and Josipa went above and beyond with making sure we had a wonderful stay. We recommend booking through her website to save some money on fees instead of abnb.

Booked through airbnb. The most amazing apartment, 2 bedroom (we didn’t need both), great well equipped kitchen and TV we watched a few movies in. The jacuzzi on the balcony + view is unbeatable. A must stay if you’re in Hvar!! Also close to pokonji dol + robinson beach, as well as old town.
Set aside from the city centre, approximately 20 mins, a nice little apartment with all the amenities. Good locations and very hospitable however need to take washing up resources and own tea and coffee. Local to a supermarket and realistically a 20 mins walk, depending on how fast you walk 😁

Situated at the top of the hill next to Hvar old towns best beach. The rooms are large and modern. Parking is super easy and well organised. Balcony is large and overlooks the cliffs and nature.
We had a 7 day stay at Villa Fio and we loved every second of it. We had the apartment with the sea view and we were more than happy about this decision. Maria is a wonderful and very chatty host that would go extra miles for your comfort. We asked for the laundry service they offered and we received our clothes cleaner and smelling nicer than if you go for dry cleaning. They also provide you with a map of places you should go and Not to go which is appreciated when the island is filled with tourist traps. The place overlooks Pokonji dol beach so you can oversleep and still be from the first people on that crowded beach. The restaurants and supermarkets are a 10 min walk down so one thing you should keep in mind is that the villa is on a hill so if you like walking that's the place for you.
Best value for money! Villa Fio has the perfect location, 10-15 minutes walk from the city center and only 5 minutes walk from the nice beach Pokojni Dol. Apartment was extra clean and everything you need on holidays. The owner Marija is just the best, the service is superb! She even put umbrellas on the hallway for each apartment when it was raining…little things, that make your stay really pleasant.
The staff is very friendly, the room is clean and comfortable with a balcony and the location is great, about 1,5km from the city center but it's very quiet and near the nicest beach in Hvar. We loved our stay there!

Watching the new Tarantino movie in shorts and t-shirt outside on the big screen towering above Hvar City. Surprisingly good sound system, quad even, I believe, cheap popcorn and cold drinks. What more could you ask for.
Beautiful space. I managed to come on the last day. Watched short croatian films. Some of them were interesting but the actors and topics were repetitive. I got some wine, pop-corn and enjoyed it nevertheless. Everyone got nice blue wallet as a gift. My precious and practical souvenir.
Don't expect Cinestar comfort, but do expect beautiful medieval fortress setting, clear stary sky, warm summer night in one of the hot spots of croatian and Mediterranean tourism. Drinks and snacks at the bar are quite good and round up the experience. Bring blanket or beach towel and a cushion. Evenings can be chilly when you only sit and watch. Since I am regular summer visitor on Hvar, this unique place has become an unavoidable spot in my itinerary every year to round up the summer vacation feeling and maximize mental relaxation. Not to forget to mention, selection of movies is carefully curated to satisfy every taste, from commercial hits, movies for children, to documentaries and artistic movies. Check the program at the beginning of your stay in Hvar not to miss the movie of your interest.
First time open air cinema and really enjoyed it. Picture and sound quality was better than expected and was in fact very good. Admission is a reasonable 30k (even for the latest Hollywood blockbuster) and drinks inside were also well priced (40k for a couple of beers). Easy to find. Seats are basic plastic so may want to bring some padding for a long film. Films are in original language with Croation subs. The film stars spot on at advertised time (no adverts or trailers) so get there on time. We were there on Friday and screening was well attended but not full so you should get a decent seat.

For the price of one night for just a room, the only good thing was the view. The AC didn't work properly, the fridge just freezes everything, the furniture is about 50+ years old and the balcony (that sits in the sun most of the day) had no sunumbrella so it was basically unusable exc early in the morning and late in the evening. Oh yes, and the coffee cups were dirty.
Anyways, not coming back.
We had a good time ( 6 days) in their apartment.
The apartment had a beautiful sea view and was well organised.
Note: no daily change of towels( we asked for towels change and they offered also towels for the beach) , no daily room cleaning service.

Staying here was the best decision we could ever made. They were all time looking after us, even offering us the most appropriate clothes for the weather in Hvar. They also share with us different things such as cold beer and water in the fridge and towels for the beach. They kept our car freely for a day even after the check out. We hardly recommend this place.
The room was nice and clean. The staff was very helpful and tried their best to make it a great stay. The view was AMAZING! It's five minutes walk from the city and the beach (opposite directions). You can rent scooters at the neighbors. I would recommend this place to everyone, and if I come back to Hvar I will without a doubt stay here again.

We emailed ahead and gave our arrival time, we met a lovely friendly lady at the apartment who showed us to our room. The room was very clean and modern with great sea views. Everything was perfect until at night, unfortunately there was a nightclub next door to our apartment, we could not sleep until 4am when the music stopped. Breakfast was included, you get a voucher for a free breakfast at the nearby Park Hotel which was nice. We would have given this apartment 5 stars if not for the noise at night.

However, I expected more of a hotel like service when I booked it - there was nobody there to let us in when we arrived (even though we emailed back and forth for confirmation) so we had to call them and wait 40minutes. Then on 'checkout' we wanted to store our luggage for 2 hours, after several complicated calls trying to chase sombody down who would be willing to help, we gave up. Breakfast is included at nearby Park Hotel and very good. Overall more of an Air BnB experience.

Truly amazing place to stay. It’s close to everything and the definition of luxury. Hot tub, sauna, indoor pool, wine cellar, gorgeous courtyard with outdoor seating and dining area, beautiful rooms, huge kitchen and living room, beautiful view from the front deck. No idea why someone would give this a 1 star review. Billy is such a kind host. She welcomed us at the harbor and carried our luggage up to the vila. We were served wine while she acquainted us with the house rules and recommendations around Hvar. Billy prepared a wonderful breakfast for us every morning and even made a castle out of chairs, towels and pillows for the little kids in our party. AND she hung Happy Birthday signs and blew up balloons for the 2 people in our party celebrating a birthday on our vacation. We all loved our stay at Heraclea.

The room was fair enough for 2 people, the bath was a bit small but we managed it. The location is just awesome! You are three steps up to the main square of Hvar town. Overall we really enjoyed our stay, thanks to Maria and Antonia for everything☺️

Absolutely amazing place to stay in Hvar. The rooms are clean, bright, and beautiful with lovely views of the bay. Natasa is an amazing host, very friendly and considerate. The kitchens are well stocked as well. We loved the private beach access (just beware of sea urchins) and were provided free access to hotel kayaks, floats, and chairs. The kayaks are great for getting around the bay and we recommend paddling over to the campsite across the way for some food and drink. The trip to town is quick and Natasa provided us the number of the taxi company to travel back and forth. 100% recommend staying here during your time in Hvar.
